One of the best ramen I had here in Italy. The location is nothing special, but definitely gives the right vibes to eat a nice and warm bowl of ramen. I had the spicy shoyu, and that was really something special. Spicy and rich and just wow, with tasty ingredients and all (marinated egg was the highlight). If you like ramen, you need to come here.

I love Ramen, this spot was okay. Went with a classic Spicy Miso and it lacked depth to the flavor. The karrage is nice, maybe it's the "American" in me but the fry on the chicken was very "light" and maybe a little dry. The actual shop is very trendy though so the aesthetic is nice. I just wished the food had more flavor. Servers were also very nice and quick!

Great Ramen restaurant right in the heart of Florence! We had 2 different Ramens + Giyosas and it was all so delicious. The chef was nice and welcoming as soon as we walked in, and the waitress was very helpful, service was great overall! The Ramen itself was delicious and very pleasant to the eyes as well. Would totally recommend!!

Not authentic at all… very bad food the ramen did not taste like ramen in any way… even broth had a very weird taste… the pork dumplings were not good in taste and was very dry… the only good thing was the salmon sashimi.. which is raw anyway.. I would never recommend this restaurant

The gyozas and ramen are really good. The broth is good and the marinated eggs are well-made, the noodles aren't great, that's why it's not perfect, but otherwise pretty good. Also they have stout asahi beer, which is great

At first i thought it was a bad idea taken by my wife, but it ended up as a brilliant one. Well done my love! Good job guys! The portion of the poke bowl was big enough to end your hunger and it was really delicious. The ingredients were fresh and high quality. That’s how you make a poke. See you next time guys!

Gyoza is good, ramen is fine and poke bowl is not that good for me. If you could make your rice in the bowl softer to chew would be great.

After craving something non-Italian, we were thrilled to find this dog-friendly Japanese restaurant right next to our hotel. The floor manager, Tarou, was warm and hospitable. We tried a variety of dishes—an appetizer of four seasonal vegetables, Bara Chirashi, toro sashimi, and chicken karaage—but the fatty salmon sashimi and miso soup were the real standouts. Highly recommended!

We had a lovely meal and evening at Il Cuore. Tarou was incredibly knowledgeable and able to explain the provenance and history behind the dishes to us in both Japanese and English (he could have done so in Italian, but would have been no help to us!). The food was delicious, some of the best Japanese food I have had outside of Japan. A highlight was the pickled vegetables (漬物), which were rare to see on a menu and a real treat. The chef also came out to chat with us at the end of the meal and was a lovely lady, it really has made our trip. Wonderful all round.

This was by far the best meal of our entire time in Florence, maybe even our lives! Tarou treated us so kindly and shared incredible details about the food with us as we ate, while guiding us through the menu and sake pairings! When we made the reservation we were confused about the availability of the o-toro and when we were sad to have missed it, he made sure we got to try it regardless. Needless to say, we had a wonderful experience! Don’t miss the udon, or dessert as they were other stand outs from our meal that we would come back for if we could! The ambiance was delightful as well with jazz covers of ghibli soundtrack faves the entire night!

One of the best Japanese restaurant in Florence. The quality of the food is very high, it taste like you're actually in Japan. Very beware to the details of the presentation and the combinations of flavors. We tried kokoro menu with sake tasting. Can't wait to go back!

This restaurant is amazing! From the service to the food, everything was outstanding. We’ve been to Japan, and we found here the same flavors we fell in love with over there. A truly incredible discovery!

10/10 cannot rate highly enough! Without a doubt, the best culinary experience I’ve had in my life so far. Immediately on entering, the ambiance nearly made me forget I was in Italy, and they blended the interior decor with the construction of the existing Italian structure so well. Shortly after being greeted and seated by Tarou, the profoundly hospitable floor manager, I accidentally knocked a small glass dish off the table with the corner of my menu. I believe it was Megumi who, rather than admonishing me for my mistake, also greeted us with a smile while cleaning up the glass and making sure everything was alright. She was so delightful it helped me feel comfortable again after my blunder. We shared the Miso soup, the Udon with pork belly, the unbelievable gold-flaked O-toro, Tatsuta-age (fried chicken), and Dorayaki all paired with Sake and Sapporo with a final digestive to top everything off. Each, in their own different way, was perfect. Tarou guided us through the meal, providing interesting information about the history and craft behind each course. It’s evident everyone involved puts their care and knowledge into every detail of the experience. My only complaint is it had to come to an end. I wish the whole team the very best and I’m grateful to be one of their fortunate guests.

This is my favorite japanese restaraunt in Florence. My favorite is the dessert one, ice cream and warabi mochi with Kinako. The food is amazing in any dish. I visited several time and the stabdard is alway the same. It is better to have a reservation before you go to make sure you will have the seat.

A hidden gem in the hustle and bustle of Florence. Tried the tempura udon and katsudon. Miso soup was complimentary and it was home made and fresh. Refreshing, intense flavours and not boiling hot. Miso soup should not be boiling. The dashi and bonito really shines through in both dishes. Tempura was crisp, had a bite to it and well seasoned. The green teas were good and fragrant, like it should be. Very tasty dishes. The host and chefs are great, kind, and fun. A great place to eat and enjoy the end of Friday. The place was full when we left. A strong 5🌟

A very cozy place with great seating arrangements. However, The owner did seem a bit judgmental and wasn’t welcoming. Besides that the food was subpar and the quantity was very small. Reused oil which lacked freshness and soggy rice. No spicy condiments but they had a spicy mayo. Omakase has a different meaning here.

If you like ramen - this is your place to go. It was incredible good!

The place has a really nice and homy vibe. The service was fast and good, the server was attentive and the restaurant offers complementary miso to every guest, as well as a tris of mini appetizers. The lunch menu costs 15€ and you have a choice of a main and a starter. We got the takoyaki, which were awesome, and the vegetarian curry, which was tasty but a bit monotonous. The dessert were 5€ each and were good, but next time I would personally skip them. The matcha cheesecake was tiny for the price, the ice cream mochi was not great. Overall very nice.

Great tasting freshly made Japanese food, cozy place, very friendly and welcoming owner! Cannot recommend this place enough if you’re looking for a great meal and a pleasant experience! So glad that we stopped here for dinner! Lorenzo (if I remember the owners name correctly) offered his help to us first-time Florence tourists multiple times, offered his phone for wifi/hotspot, called a taxi, and went out of his way to help with what he could. Highly recommend stopping by here!

Adorable outdoor seating next to the Sant’Ambrogio market. You get a miso soup with your welcome, and a sort of plum (liquor?) at your goodbye... which was soooo good, btw! We got the plate of ‘assaggi’ for 23€/head and that way we got a taste of about everything on the menu... each with a thoughtful, creative presentation. Delightful experience for an alternative to the usual meal in Flo! Highly recommended! Service outstanding, friendly and funny. We had such a good time.

One of the most incredible dining experiences I have ever had. They are on the Michelin list but I think that doesn’t describe how wonderful, inventive, and chic this establishment is! They truly deserve a Michelin star or two or three! Food, vibes, cocktails, staff, all incredible.

This place lacks substance but trying way too hard to be Pop… I definitely appreciated the attentive service, but my overall experience was deeply underwhelming. The restaurant’s aesthetic leans heavily into trendy, "pop" sensibilities, but the execution lacks cultural authenticity and culinary finesse—resulting in dishes that feel gimmicky rather than thoughtfully crafted. - Bao: The dough was unacceptably thick—reminiscent of pizza crust—completely overpowering the filling and betraying the delicate texture expected of proper bao. - Dong Po Rou (东坡肉): A shocking misstep. The braised pork was dry and choking, lacking the melt-in-your-mouth richness this classic dish demands. Even a humble Hangzhou eatery’s version (my previous benchmark for "worst") was vastly superior. - 烤麸 (Braised Wheat Gluten): Overwhelmingly salty, with the artificial aftertaste of canned preservatives—no depth or balance. - Misguided "Dream of Red Chamber" Theme: As a person who once dis a PhD in Hong Lou Meng, I was baffled by the inclusion of lychee (a fruit, not a cooking ingredient in the text) and lobster (never mentioned in the novel). This feels like a superficial attempt to capitalize on literary prestige without genuine understanding. The service team deserves praise, but the kitchen and concept need urgent reevaluation. Authenticity isn’t about ornate decor or name-dropping classics—it’s about respect for technique and tradition. Currently, this feels like a hollow pastiche.

Italian/Western/“modern” twist on fine dining Chinese cuisine. Very strong artistic direction in the food, experience and interior design. The staff are excellent and it is clear that every dish, and moment is passionately cared for. I had ‘meat’ tasting menu with tasting wine. Wine pairing in line with the creative concept. An excellent experience with also a creative sense of humour. Highlights for me, beef muscle starter (long cook Chinese spice beef with modern start twist) , (gold) soup dumpling and the fun candy inspired Yoyoi Kusama salad - the latter paired with a tuscany mango-peach white wine. For me personally as an asian, I would like to see stronger chinese confidence in the flavours - it is there but I think it can be bolder! I would guess the main clientele is not yet used to strong asian flavours + knowledge. I enjoy this tension however. “Ethnic” food is always some form of negotiation. Deserving of a Michelin star. This restaurant is a real gem in Florence. It is a Modern creative Chinese Experience. The tasting menu pairing with cocktails will be blow your mind. The Chef is so pasionate, the whole experience was incredible. Highly recomended.

Really cool setting with great architecture. This place oozes cool and the food lives up to that. Friendly knowledgeable staff and excellent dim sum and other creative Chinese dishes. It’s definitely worth a visit if your looking for something a bit different

As interesting as it is for a couple of Americans to travel to Florence to eat a dim sum tasting menu, there were absolutely zero regrets. Everything from the atmosphere, taste and service were perfect. I love how the chef came to our table and spoke about her childhood and how it inspired the dishes. You can definitely feel a child like nostalgia come out from the presentation. Everything was incredibly playful. I went into this experience with not having a pallet for sea food, and I am happy to say this changed it for me. This restaurant made me LOVE seafood. The highlight was definitely the sea bass and the sea urchin bao which I would’ve never believed to say before. If you are in Florence, this is definitely a must try. Congratulations for making it on the Michelin guide and I cannot wait to watch the restaurant grow in popularity.

It’s located at a corner of the street and we nearly missed it coz the name is at the other side of the corner. From the main road, we thought it was a bakery as there were lotsa baked goods (something not very likely in a 🇯🇵 restaurant). 😉 but the outcome of the ramen taste is quite authentic (maybe not fully same as in 🇯🇵) but very acceptable quality. The menu is lengthy and needs some digestion before we can order 🤪 quite well patronised as there are crowds drifting in and out constantly. Service staff is polite and friendly 👍🏻 they can understand English which makes comm easier. 👍🏻

I went there and tried their Shoyu Chasyumen combo with Meat Fried Rice and Gyoza. While the Gyoza is decent and meat fried rice is okay, the ramen is a bit lacking in term of flavor and the noodle itself is very basic. Having said that, for a ramen place in Florence, this might be your best bet. So, if you are tired of all those tratorria, bistro, pasta and pizza, trying this place aint bad at all (price is super affordable too)

we're craving for Asian food and were looking for Asian food near our hotel and found this place with pretty good rating. ordered the miso ramen which was just mediocre. taste-wise, can't compare to what we can get in Asia but it's pretty decent. the miso in the soup is not strong and would be better if the egg is not hard boiled. the gyoza is slightly better although the skin is a bit thick. not bad if you're looking for Asian food.

Came here for Shoryu ramen and I got a version of it. I have eaten ramen all over the world and this one was good. Strong shoryu broth, char shu was good and plentiful if you order the larger size. Ramen was al dente. I would have preferred bamboo shoots rather than beansprouts. Service was fine and quick. Don't forget it's a bar that also serve coffees and Italian food. The chef is from Japan 4.5🌟

NICOLO the Italian guy working there , tell me you have to do a reservation , and they have plenty tables, I ask to make a reservation for next day don’t even ask you for your name, honestly he will sit you if he know you or if he likes you , do not Recomendo this place at all, he said all reservation he pass by him , don’t even ask your name or write on a paper . I don’t understand how has a good reviews this place .

So I came here extremely hungry and ordered a cold ramen to cool down from the summer heat, and everything was great until I got a very small portion of unseasoned bowl of raw ingredents. I was at least expecting a bit of cold soup as it was called a miso soup ramen, but instead there was only a small amount of soup at the very bottom, that I could not drink because it was too constrated. The food did not taste bad but I still got a bit shocked. The egg was a nice touch but the rest was a bit underwhelming and the noodles where undercooked. There was no line and the food came after a short wait so that was good. I was still hungry after eating but didn't want to order another hot ramen. 5/10

Came here due to all the good reviews and talks about how this is a very authentic place Was extremely pumped to try Ordered Florentine steak and marinara pasta ….soon greatly disappointed Two other people next to us also ordered the steak One of which we struck up a conversation with because he saw us picking at our steak and told us he was also very underwhelmed with the food The other group next to us didn’t even bother to finish Marinara Pasta 2/5 Nothing special, pasta noodles way too soft and very underwhelming. Definitely had way better pasta. We were recommended by the person sitting next to us to go to Trattoria Sabatino instead. Glad we went for dinner! Way better! Florentine steak 55euro/kg and minimum purchase of 600grams. Expensive compared to other places. Nothing else to say besides…. 🤢 bad. Might be rated at the top of one the worst steaks I have ever eaten. I had 1/3 of my steak and stopped wasting my stomach on bad food.

We made our reservations two solid months before we arrived in Florence and its a good thing that i did. In his confirmation reply, he suggested that I remind him a few days before and cautioned me not to be late or I would risk losing my spot. I reminded him 4 times. When we got there he pointed to the sign that said they were booked for the day and we were 10 minutes early! So I reminded him that I made reservations 2 moths ago. He stopped and said, "Are yiu Michael?" "Yes, I am!" He shook my hand and welcomed us in happily and sat us at a table. Bistecca alla Fiorentina is legendary and Trattoria Mario is the place to go for it. The hand cut and chop the bone to order. You can hear the ckeaver hitting that bone because the kitchen is semi open. You can see and hear and smell what is going on in there. You order, they bring out that raw porterhouse, 1 kg or 2.2 pounds, I approved it and 10 minutes later we were eating the best piece of beef that I have ever eaten, cooked perfectly rare! Delicious and definitely worth the 2 month reservation. We planned our activities in beautiful Florence around this perfect meal! Thank you, Mario and staff!

Incredible hole-in-the-wall with authentic food and experience. We had the bolognese and Florentine steak. The pasta sauce was incredible - such a rich flavor. The steak was perfectly seasoned, if a bit on the rare side. We were lucky to get in for lunch without a reservation. It's not a big place, and the waiter said they are always full. We would definitely come back the next time we're here.

The food is good but I had better fiorentina. Service is good and quick like they are ready to send you out for next customer. It’s not a place you sit down and enjoy meal. It’s more like you sit and have a quick meal in my opinion

I'm a bit of a steak snob and stopped ordering it out as it's usually disappointing. The T-Bone here is amazing! Super soft inside, wasn't asked how I wanted it cooked which to me should be how every steak restaurant is. Came out rare. Very friendly and accommodating, managed to squeeze us in for an hour but would recommend pre booking a spot. Wish I'd come here earlier in our trip as I've only eaten the steak an hour ago and already want more. Various size steaks so if you want a bigger one ask for it, ours was 700g. Also had the meat pasta which was also delicious and the best one of our trip. Paid around 51 euros for the steak and pasta dish which I think is excellent value

Crowded, squeezy and small tables. Do order the steak with zucchini. We had a 1.3kg bone in for 4. At €70+, you have a heart serving of a very good steak. However, if you like your meat medium, this is not the place. The cut was around 1.5 inch thick. While it had a good char, much of the center was raw. I would much prefer it not so thick and I get an even amount of charred and raw meat.

Truly amazing service by Mario’s familia! They were so sweet and friendly and the steak here was soft. Thought the steak would be too rare and tough but it tasted perfectly cooked and delicious. Had a nice hard sear and well seasoned. The tomato beans were also so comforting and tender. The place is quaint but bustling, felt like the real florentine deal!!

The restaurant is beautiful and elegant, the food is pretty delicious and you have the amazing all you can eat <3 option. If you are in Florence you need to eat here as with a really good price you can eat good sushi of good quality with a pretty fast service and please for the desert you have to taste the ice cream of rice, tea and lemon with basil

I use to go and order regularly since a couple of years... but I would not anymore; - the welcome is cold as ice, - looks like a food factory very unpersonalised, - food quality went down a lot. - decoration is nice and warm. It's a pitty. All you can eat for 30eur in a nice dinning environment, is that too ambitious?

During our stay in Florence the kids wanted a break from the delicious regional cuisine. We found Aji Tei and they were thrilled. Everything was fresh and delicious. The crowd was mainly local leaning toward younger and hip with some older wanna-stay-hip folk as well. The restaurant is beautifully designed and maintained. Had a great evening there.

This place has a really modern cozy vibe. I would recommend you sit right outside of the garden if you're not a smoker a d do not like to smell smoke especially when eating. The service was on the slower side - the prices were definitely overpriced, but if you don't want Italian food you'll be willing to pay! The rock shrimp was delicious ( a little salty ). The elephant role was fresh!! Can't taste the fish which is great! They also had spicey mayo which I thought being in Italy was a plus!!!

This place was right down the block from my Airbnb, and I got to say It would have been worth a 25 minute walk. Super cute spot, well air conditioned, and perhaps some of the freshest fish I've had in quite some time. Coming from South Florida where we have some of the best sushi around, this place was a welcomed surprise with fantastic salmon nigiri and delicious truffle gyozas. In a city where I was not expecting to be wowed with sushi, this place really hit the spot. Keep up the great work and I will definitely be back.

Really delicious and authentic Sichuan cuisine. We needed a palate cleanse from all the creamy food and Chongqing definitely was that! The food was spicy, full of flavor and great wok! We recommend the beef fried rice, the stir fry beans, the sweet & sour fried shrimp and the stir fry beef. Some of the dish was a bit too salty but overall we really enjoyed the food here.

The restaurant is stunning, has AC and good service. All the staffs look nice and friendly. I’m not Chinese so cannot say they are authentic or not, but all dishes we tried are so good. Taste nice and flavorful. We even called 4 bowls of rice and came back to this restaurant the next day after the 1st try, bcuz the food were delicious. Must try!!!

We love Italian food, but after a few days, we were craving something spicy—and Chongqing delivered. It’s some of the best Szechuan food we’ve had in Europe. We ate here twice for dinner and especially enjoyed the Sichuan fish and spicy sour fish. The Sichuan fish was rich, oily, and perfectly spicy, while the spicy sour fish was light, tangy, and refreshing. We also tried the Sichuan beef, mapo tofu, stir fried beef, and morning glory—all flavorful and well-prepared. Highly recommend if you’re looking for authentic, bold Szechuan flavors while in Europe.

Hands down the best restaurant in Florence. Can’t believe I am saying a Chinese restaurant is the best restaurant in all of Florence but srsly, this place is good. Highly recommend the fried rice, noodle soup and stir fry!! My husband and I ordered 4 dishes and only cost us €31. What a good deal! Will definitely be back before we leave Florence.

If you're ever craving a side of attitude with your Sichuan food, look no further. We walked in and were immediately greeted—not with a smile, but with a sharp reminder to close the door. It’s good to know the staff takes temperature control more seriously than customer service. Cozy. Since we had already snacked a bit earlier, we only planned to order a small meal. Apparently, that was unacceptable. The server let us know (quite firmly!) that because we ordered “too little,” we wouldn’t be allowed to add dishes later. When our first dish arrived, it came solo. No bowls, no chopsticks, no plates—just vibes. We politely asked for utensils, which seemed like an unexpected request. As for the food? It was aggressively salty, wildly spicy, and the water-boiled beef was mostly water-boiled cabbage. If you’ve ever wanted to discover how much greenery you can hide under a thin layer of protein, this is your place. To sum up: if you like being scolded for walking in, penalized for not over-ordering, and enjoy underwhelming dishes served with a hint of hostility, you’re going to love it here

The best dinners in Italy during my trip!!!!!!!!! The food is so fantastic just feels like in Chongqing. The owner is super well organized and she will definitely get you a seat as soon as she can during the peak hours. Btw my husband and I almost get every dinner during our 4-day stay in Florence haha.

Best sichuanese food ive had in a very long while. EVERYTHING was cooked perfectly and so so delicious! most importantly, the prices are very affordable.

After watching Tucci in Italy and realizing Florence was on our itinerary, we knew we had to try Cibleo – Tortelli e Ravioli. As a huge fan of Asian cuisine, the idea of an Asian-Tuscan fusion spot in the heart of Florence was too intriguing to pass up. Every dish was crafted with intention and creativity—combinations I never would have imagined, yet they worked beautifully. The standout for me was the pork belly tacos. They had just the right amount of heat and were incredibly well balanced. We also opted to add the bao buns to our course, which were equally fantastic—pillowy soft and packed with flavor. We were lucky enough to sit at the bar, right in front of the chef, who walked us through each dish as it was prepared. It turned a great meal into a truly memorable experience. Amazing food, thoughtful fusion, and a personal touch—definitely a highlight of our trip.

This is one of the best meals of my life. Every course was perfectly balanced and unique! It’s a completely different experience than the rest of Florence, but that made it special. I still cannot believe we had a 7 course tasting for 50€! We would highly recommend visiting after experiencing Florence for a few days. That gave us time to try the local dishes and better understand the fusion and nods to Tuscan foods!

We did the lunch tasting menu because that’s all we could squeeze in. Everything was great. My wife doesn’t eat red meat and the chef accommodated her. Wish we could’ve tried the dinner menu.

A must do for an extraordinary experience of the tasting menu here. Staff were kind and generous despite being a full house. It was great to have a tasty and well thought out non Tuscan meal in the middle of a 4 week trip in Italy. Highly recommended.

I made a purposeful detour to Florence just to experience the tasting menu after seeing Ciblèo showcased on Stanley Tucci’s show, and was terribly disappointed. From the first bite, I was not impressed. The only 2 dishes I enjoyed were the brisket taco and the dessert. Even the additional add-on of shrimp gyoza was not great- too doughy with minimal flavor. The restaurant has had recent staff changes, so this may be why results fell short of expectations.

Very different in a good way from Japanese restaurants running by Chinese, this restaurant is rather close to the original Japanese food. The dishes were tasty but in my opinion not enough for the price. Omurise was with lots of mushrooms which were not very good with shrimps. Ramen was good (still not as good as in Japan, but best in Florence). Sushi were yummy and fresh, very good service and beautiful place.

Nice new addition to our neighbourhood, a Japanese restaurant offering more elegant versions of traditional cuisine prepared with truly unique food (go find wagyu in our neighbourhood) and they can afford it since the cooks are Japanese indeed. The desserts are also very good.

Great traditional Japanese restaurant with a cozy atmosphere, lots of attention to all ingredients that come to each dish as everything is there on purpose and you can appreciate the taste of each single one. Recommend the lobster salad with apple and avocado for starter!

Again, I don’t usually do reviews but this is one of the best (and reliable) Japanese places in Florence. I’ve tried plenty of restaurants in New York, Japan, Europe, and South America and I think this one hits perfectly a balance of traditional and experimental. The food is not a run-off-the-mill Italian take on Japanese, but a wonderful spin on the ingredients of what makes Japanese food already so great. Highly recommend!

Lo Saj truly felt like a home away from home. I’ve been to many Lebanese restaurants and quick-bite spots in Italy, but Lo Saj really stood out. The quality of the food is better than the rest, and the flavors genuinely match what you’d find in Lebanon. I loved everything the place, the owner, the music. It’s a warm and welcoming spot, and I really recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Lebanese food in Italy!

Amazing authentic lebanese food. Everything is delicious. The fattouch was one of the best fattouch i've ever ate, it shows they are using high quality product. The place is very cozy, very clean and inviting. The service was excellent and our order came very quickly. We ordered zaatar wraps with cheese, labneh and veggies, lahm bi ajin, warak enab, taboule, fattouch and chich taouk wrap and all i can say is wow. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for good food and a flavorful variety!

The food was delicious and very similar to the real Lebanese food. Having lived in Europe for 5 years, it's hard to find a place like this with good Lebanese that really feels homemade. We had, tabuleh, sejjouk, the shawarma plate, meghle for dessert and two almaza beers. Everything was very good. Cynthia the owner was very nice to offer us her freshly prepared maamoul! Recommended for everyone who wants to have an authentic lebanese bite! 😊❤️

Each bite was like a nostalgic hug from my Lebanese teta. 💚 And to make matters even better if that is possible, everything was made on the Saj like the name of the store!!! And let’s talk salads. The fattoush and tabbouleh were so fresh, they practically sang Fairuz at sunrise. 🌿🎶 The pomegranate molasses (rib riman) in the fattoush? Chef’s kiss. I may or may not have tried to lick the plate. No regrets. Then came the lahem b3ajin (meat pies) and chicken shawarma… tender, flavorful, and wrapped with love, and possibly garlic. 😋 To wash it all down: a cold Bonjus pineapple juice (yes, Bonjus in Tuscany!), a smooth Almaza beer, and the real deal Ayran (the Lebanese yogurt drink that cools your soul and reminds you to slow down and enjoy the ride). The place is super clean, beautifully decorated with authentic touches, and full of treasures from the homeland: olive oil, red and white Lebanese wines, nostalgic drinks... A cute small spot with libanes dishes. Its have some spots for sitting and eating and the service is good and quick. As a middle eastern I enjoyed the dishes, they made it a little bit different from what I’m used to but it was good.

We were group of 4 and all vegetarian. The place is a little cramped up but the food is so fresh, delicious. Strongly recommend this place. Really figh quality ingredients and flavour is at par.with some of the best lebanese I've had anywhere else in the world.

As an asian that breathes and live travelling in Italy, can't be doing spaghetti and pizza the whole time. Chanced upon this place via chatgpt recommendation near our hotel and for an asian standard, its good. the services were fast and staffs were accommodative, though can be improved because the staff messed up 2 out of 5 orders, but it was sorted as it was a busy day in the shop, so it was acceptable.

The quality has gone down by alot. It used to be really good, no more. We were served tiny BROKEN soba noodle (very small like at the end of a packet, which is very unprofessional) when we raised the issue with the staff they will talk to chef and 10 minutes later, no response. my dish had salmon which was not fresh at all, honestly a lil unedable i left all the salmon behind in my plate. very dissatisfied, much better Japanese spots in town

The menu is a bit fusion instead of the classic Japanese clean cut; many of the rolls have sauces and are crispy. For people who like more clean cuts, perhaps ordering nigiris or hosomakis is a better call, but if you like Japanese fusion it’s a good option. The service is great.

Good food although quite pricey for the portion sizes. Quality and freshness of the food was phenomenal. But the spicy tuna was a little bit to spicy in my opinion because the spice overpowered the tuna taste so you would just taste that. But otherwise the flavors were quite good.

If you’re spending quite some time in Florence and after a few days you’re like, “Man, I can’t eat any more pasta or Fiorentina steak” (even though they’re all wonderful), and you just crave something different—like Japanese food—this place is absolutely fantastic. Everything is delicious and super fresh, the fish is incredible, and we had an amazing tuna. It’s really welcoming and suits everyone. Totally worth a visit if you get that craving for some Japanese flavors in the middle of your Florence trip.

I have it only 3 stars because of the serving sizes. It is ridiculous how small the plates are and when you take this into account the place is expensive. We literally had to dine to another place after having dinner here.

The food was exceptional. Both the regular meals, and the specialties. Tried the edamame, uakame, and the sushi. 5+. The gyokyu beef is totally amazing, as well. Do check the place out, you will definitely enjoy it!

Everything is quite perfect! Hospitality was really good, the decoration is nice. Staff are helpful and the food is tastey and I liked it. The service was almost fast. Prices are higher than other places but remember that you're paying for a very good quality and fresh food. The place is easy to reach and find. I would go again to Koko.

The food was refined, tasty and creative, it deserved 5 stars. (We didn't try desserts) On the other hand, the service was way too long...! What a pity and definitively not on the level of the quality of the food. As for the drinks, Pinot rouge is from a good Winnery (San Michele Appiano) but was served too warm (ambiant temperature in August around 28°). I'm sommelier in a Parisian palace and it's hard to be told it has 2 ways to be served (which can be true for some wines, not all though...) and more seriously not during summertime. Red wines of terroirs like pinots & gamay (light and young) are ideal around 14-16°c, otherwise it becomes a basic heavy fat taste. Such a shame and sacrilege for a good wine like this and with such good food...

You can count the places that have sushi as good as Koko's on 1 hand. Not only is the quality of the fish incredible, the creativity and thought that goes into each dish is impeccable. Top it off with great service and slick interiors and you have one of the best restaurants in Florence.

The place is lovely and cozy with a nice selection of food. Many dishes are a bit too ‘westernized’ but overall great. Pekin duck is not as crispy as it should be. Amazing dessert. Extra plus: parking!

What an amazing dinner. Lucia was very kind to help us choose the right dishes as we are vegetarians. She was very attentive to hear each one of our needs. She made our dinner worthwhile. Food was great too. Even their desserts were pretty well done.

Really nice gelato! The queue waiting times was not bad at all, they had a nice variety of flavours and the service was also good. My favorite thing about this place was the attention to detail in the flavour description, like the cacao percentage variations in chocolate gelato or the fact that they use Brontë pistachio (aka the best one in the work!) you certainly pay for quality ingredients

We just got to Florence and had the Gelato here. All I have to say is that the Affogato is amazing! I had to return in the evening and got some time to chat with the lovely lady that works there. Great place, delicious gelato and very good customer service. Friendly and delicious! Go now!

Night time stop at yet another gelato place. This time I had their affogato (gelato with coffee) with cream on top. The gelato, of course, makes this Italian affogato better than what you would find in the US and yes definitely a must try is you are a coffee and a gelato lover.

One of the best ice cream shops in Florence. Fresh and artisanal ice creams from La Sorbettiera that has now other venues spread all over Florence. I really appreciate the fact that they have few flavours that change over the different seasons with just very few flavours always proposed, such as hazelnut and pistachio. I got a medium tub with hazelnut, pistachio and catrame (dark chocolate). Tasty and authentic flavours not overwhelming in terms of sweetness. Staff really nice and kind. I highly recommend this place. It is always a pleasure to visit this and the other venues.

So many food options here for everyone! This is where I had the best truffle pasta of my life! Only this was the seating was limited, so can be hard to find a seat with the huge crowd. And also hold onto your handbags and phones, as it’s reported to be a high pick-pocketing area. Leather markets are just outside too, so plenty to choose from - just make sure you bargain them down!

On Saturdays, the market expands with a huge variety of fresh vegetables, fruits, cheeses, and cold cuts. You can also enjoy a meal inside. In short - there’s a lot to discover here!

Wasn’t sure what kind of market this would be. It was a fresh food market (veggies, fruit, cheese) and kind of a low end thrift store vibe on the other end. Not really worth a trip for me cause I wasn’t look for either of those things. Was already wrapping up before 2pm

Nice little restaurant. The service is great. We tried Japanese pumpkin patties which were good, gyoza that my husband really enjoyed plus a normal and a vegetarian ramen. Personally I was hoping for more vegetarian options (gyoza for example are all meat / fish based) and the vegetarian ramen is very bland (the broth is not very tasty and the toppings all are a bit bland too). It would be awesome to see some more creamy and tasty options eg. Spicy miso ramen both in the normal and vegetarian version.

Fantastic meal, great vibes, and amazing welcoming hospitality. My husband and I came to Florence for travels from Singapore. My personal favourite was Katsu curry, with a thick cut of juicy pork. This is a must-try when in Florence. Sake is great and refreshing, procured from Japan too. Thank you very much to the owners husband and wife duo for the memorable experience!

Disapointing food, no value for money, offensive service. We had the misosoup (extremely small portion, no tofu) and Takoyaki (very tiny octopus, which was tough/stringy) for starters and were already underwhelmed. Not eating meat, we then went for 2 of the 3 vegetarian mains on the menu. The vegetarian ramen was overrated, the broth was nowhere close to a ramen broth and tasted like instant soup. The Yasai (sauteed vegetables) was the real source of offense: For 17€ (more than the ramen) we received a portion of rice with steamed cabbage and carrot, which was not sauteed but simply steamed. When I asked the waiter about the edamame, which were - according to the menu - part of the dish, she first questioned my memory. After I indicated them to her in the menu, she went to the owner and he grudgingly got us literally 8 peas on a tiny plate - with a face like we were highly unwelcome. No "sorry", only a feeling like we should leave asap. In short: Eating Japanese regularly in other countries, we were very disappointed by being lured in by the good reviews. Not recommended - at least for the vegetarian dishes (maybe the meat ramen and the udon dishes are wonderful)

Very nice discovery yesterday evening in Piazza Donatello. Japanese Trattoria with delicious and fresh food: ramen, gyoza, polpettine giapponese di zucca and delicious deserts. The place is small but very cosy with a nice interior design. I quite liked the idea of decorating the walls with polaroid pictures of the guests and their dedications. The service was impeccable. And they have also the vegetarian ramen which was very good 🍜. Definitely a place to go back to! The only small disadvantage is that it is a bit pricy.

No idea if the food here is good. But they should remove the indication that they do take out. I waited until they open at 7:30 to pick up ramen soup for my partner, who’s home sick. Only to discover they couldn’t do take out after all. If you want to do takeout noodles, I recommend Koto which actually does what their website indicates.

Went for dinner and got the spring rolls and an Italian-Japanese fusion grilled chicken. Service and price were fine (standard), but I wasn’t a huge fan of my dishes, spring rolls were a bit oily and chicken was uninspiring. However the others in my party seemed to enjoy their meal, so willing to give it another shot.

Italian-Japanese cuisine! So interesting and so good! If it’s summer ask to get your yakisoba cold, so refreshing! Matcha tiramisu was amaaaazing! Expect some waiting time, but it definitely worth it. They make it to order.

Maybe just not my luck. The white bread served with the food was horrible but matched the LQ olive oil. Wanted to try some japonese but the pork dish was uninspired unfortunately. Decent winelist with enough per glas so I had my hopes up.. But it was served too warm. =(

So if you are visiting Florence - this venue has great Vegan and Gluten free Salads, Freshly squeezed juice infusions, coffee and cakes. Reasonable priced - and chilled and comfortable ambience. Visited twice it was that good. Staff are friendly and multi-Lingual. Tables and Restaurant is immaculately clean - with a window into the kitchen so you can see how everything is prepared. The toilets is also very clean with a Dyson hand dryer. American Express is also excepted

Nice place to work and snack healthily. They had a really tasty smoothie and tasty looking bowls. The lady on the teal was nice and helpful. Here's why 3 stars: The toilet had no lock and no water. See the photo of the meal I had. Though it was tasty it was very sad and fridge cold. It would do with some herbs on top or at least 1 cherry tomato cut in half to bring it up to life. The toast was cold and black. Like a charcoal one. Nothing I'd choose if I'm asked. The quinoa would do with some baking for texture and the tofu...pre-grilled would help with colour and taste. All in all it was nice to find a healthy choice with so many goodies. It is a bit of a shame that there's a lot of packaging even if eating in. Even though most of it is compostable the point is to reduce not create compostable waste that will take ages to biodegrade.

Really bad food, no flavour. I had a salad and a wrap. I found the stem of a zucchini in the salad and the wrap was all soggy and not fresh. This place really needs improvement.

Near the Uffizi, I found this charming, bright healthy option. I had the açaí bowl which is about 10-12 ounces with fresh fruit/nuts and seeds on top. It as fresh and wonderful. Then I ordered the hummus toast with cherry tomatoes and arugula on sourdough. It was so simple and delicious. There was a high quality olive oil drizzled on top. Base V offered many pre-made salads/bowls take-aways that looked incredible. The staff was so friendly and helpful. If you are gluten free or vegan/vegetarian you will have tons of options from juices, salads, bowls, or smoothies. It was nice to have a break from heavy pizza, pasta, Tuscan food. Don’t miss it if you want a relaxing, refreshing, health-conscious, and delicious meal. Also, it was affordable. **I believe you pay more to sit in the cafe than if you take it to go.** The friendly staff were good at understanding my broken Italian and many of them spoke English. I tried to order in Italian and they were kind enough to answer my questions in both Italian and English. Thank you Base V for giving this weary traveler an easy, delicious meal.

Some very good and tasty craft beers from all over Italy, from the small micro to some bigger breweries. The real thing is that they have a lot of special sours! Some rare ones from Belgium to more local ones! just a little cosy place ( little far from city center, which is good as it's never too crowded! )

I'm not sure I'd call it a gastro pub as much as a stellar beer list bar that has a couple food options. Like hot dogs and some cheese plates. It's like a blast furnace in Florence today, humid and generally awful. They're running the Air Conditioning so I could kiss everyone here on the mouth. They have 6 beers on tap mostly Italian and German right now but their list of bottles and cans is excellent even by my hilariously snobby pacific northwest standards. My only question now is how am I going to get all this beer back to Germany?

Great beer options and friendly staff. Check prices of bottles (with numbers) before you buy - the website prices are outdated by years and the prices have inflated by 2-10x, depending on the bottle. English is not a strong language for the bartender (I was quoted 17€ for something that was 70€). There are better/more honest beer bars in Florence

Small craft beer bar with a handful of tables. One of the few places in Florence with good beer! For improvements I’d recommend they have a visible price list for the bottles/cans. Also only had 2/3 Italian beers on tap- some fairly standard Belgian stuff on the others.

A nice restaurant with some outdoor seating. The service was pretty good and the food was decent. The ramen was pretty good, so were the edamame and green beans. The chicken is a pass. I was expecting crispy and it was pretty soggy and fatty. If I return I'm sticking to the ramen.

One of the best authentic Japanese cuisine restaurants you will find in Florence. The couple who runs the place are from Nagoya. This is not the typical "americanized sushi" you typically see everywhere. The food is so good and had that "homey" feeling in every dish. My favorites are Karaage, Nagoya ramen and their matcha tiramisu! No doubt, if everyone asks me where to eat something japanese in Florence, i'd definitely say La Tana. :)

Great service and excellent food! The seafood pasta was tasty and the seafood was super fresh. The pork with apricot sauce was definitely an interesting combination but went really well with the pork. My wife had the T-Bone steak and it was tender and cooked to perfection. Good portions and reasonable prices. Highly recommended!

The food was delicious. Starters from the mozarella tomato salad, smoked duck, to prosciutto and melon were great. The mussels, tagliolini with truffle mushrooms, and spaghetti vongole (clams) were also quite tasty. But hands down the best was the filetto di manzo alla griglia con porcini. It was probably amongst the best and well-made closer to rare steaks I've had (and I've had a lot of prime rib steaks in my life). The porcini gave it a flavor similar to foie gras so the meat tasted a bit like it was coated with foie gras. Everyone at the table agreed it was amazing.

Little hidden Japanese restaurant close to the main station in Firenze. Offers authentic japanese food. Their Teishoku set meals are affordable and delicious. Also has a nice selection of Japanese/Italian desserts like matcha tiramisu. Recommend to visit this place as a nice change from the touristy food offered elsewhere.

Average service and ambiente, not bad but not good. HOWEVER the food was bland. I asked for something vegetarian and got some appetisers and not a real meal. It was cold and didnt have any taste. For 12 euros i got a handful of overpriced nothing. The beer was good but expansive and you need about 20 to forget the horrible food.

This place is very much alike authentic korean small cafes, where they prepare your food just in front of you. The menu is not very long, but everything in it is very delicious. Definitely recommend to visit it.

If you want good and somewhat authentic south Korean food in Firenze, this is not the place. But if you are Asian and crave some Asian food after having too much Italian food, this will satisfy your craving slightly. The food we tried was very basic Korean style that any high school Korean student can do. There is no service, you order and pick up from the counter. The lady seems fierce but she is actually OK. Bottomline, don't go there for if you're looking for great Korean food, go only if you want some Korean taste to satisfy your craving. It's not that bad, it's just very basic Korean food.

Hidden away in a small corner in Florence is an authentic Korean restaurant. Imo (auntie) chef was so nice and the food was amazing. We decided to have our orders for take-out and ate it at our hotel. Gamsahabnida!

On our way to an Italian restaurant to grab lunch, we stumbled upon this and I liked the menu, we decided to skip Italian food this time and eat here. The korean lady, who's also the cook, came to take our orders, my friend isn't familiar with Korean cuisine so she inquired about some dishes and their ingredients, the lady looked annoyed and pointed to the list of ingredients in the menu. (We have dietary restrictions so we were just double checking and menus usually list only the main ingredients). We both ordered Udong, it tasted good, super warm for chilly March. We left as soon as we finished as we felt unwelcome. I'm giving 3 stars for bad service.

This was an amazing experience! Great quality food and superb service from Andy and his staff. First Korean BBQ I see with coal (instead of gas) way better taste. They even help you prepare the food and recommend how to eat it for an explosion of flavors. We came from Mexico and stayed 5 days in Florence, we just had to go eat here 5 days in a row, that's how good it is =). This became my favorite restaurant ever! We had a spiritual experience eating the wagyu beef from both America (Snake River Farms) and Japan. They also suggested how to eat it (first with salt, then with salt and ginger, etc). I have had a week of great meals in Rome and Florence, and this might be my favourite one. I’m biased as I am Korean (Canadian), but this is in my top 3 k bbq restaurants all time. I am very surprised to find something of this quality and authenticity in Italy! Some items like the olive leaf side-dish is better than I have had anywhere else. The beef and pork belly was amazing and cooked and served to us. The kimchi stew and bulgogi bibimbap were very solid too. Great service too, which Korean cuisine isn’t really known for.

I recently enjoyed a nice quality meal here. I found their take on dishes interesting and the service was great. I tried the Ramen and Tuna Sashimi. The sashimi was fresh, and the home made wasabi and soy sauce were very nice. The ramen was a nice fusion dish, the pork was cooked perfectly, but I found the broth too salty.

While on vacation with my family, we found this hidden gem. The food was delicious, the staff was kind and helpful, and the atmosphere was relaxing. We tried a bunch of food, but my favorites were the spicy salmon roll and the gyoza. My father really enjoyed the udon al ragù.

An amazing start with a disappointing ending. Our starters and sushi were unbelievable. The homemade soy sauce was out if this world and it was the first time we both ever enjoyed and had soy sauce. However, the mains ruined the meal, my teriyaki salmon was decent and my friends ‘udon with ragu’ was the smallest portion I have ever seen with disappointing quality (for €15)!! Considering the price this is extremely disappointing as he ended up having to eat fast food to fill him self up after. What started out to be a great meal ended rather poorly, just stick to the sushi.

Very reasonably priced Chinese restaurant, has loads of variety. Food wasn't exceptional but good for a Chinese restaurant standard. It does take time for them to serve the dishes. Dont expect all of it to come at the same time. So most of the time youre waiting for the next dish to arrive.

I’ve been in Italy for a week and it got to that point where I needed to eat Chinese food or I would’ve gone crazy. I got the vegetarian dumplings and stewed tofu and it was delicious and authentic. Just how my parents would make it. The total cost was 12€ and the portions were just right. I highly reccomend going here if you’re at that point of the trip where you need to eat Chinese food.

When it’s busy it does take some time for the food to come out. If you’re craving Asian food during your Florence trip, don’t even think twice and go to this restaurant. Get the special fried rice, get the wonton soup, try the deep fried chicken, and don’t forget to get the omelette.

It still was very authentic and tasted pretty similar to what I have had in Japan. I would totally recommend the restaurant, you get good food for a small price.

The chef described the dish as influenced by different regions of China but it reminds me of xi'an style food... especially Xi'an Famous Foods in NYC. The prices are comparable to the main Dim Sum restaurant located 5min away although this location is not fancy and has disposable utensils. Only negative is that the amount of beef in the dish is negligible.

While I was in Italy it was extremely hot and most places didn’t have aircon and if it did it wasn’t very good meanwhile this places aircon worked perfectly and was so refreshing.
