Muso Japanese Ramen and Gyoza Bar in Mermaid Beach is a cozy and unpretentious eatery that specializes in serving delicious ramen and gyoza. With covered streetside seating, this quaint restaurant has won the hearts of locals across the Gold Coast.
Can't miss this place every time we go down to Gold Coast. We always get the black garlic tonkotsu. So so good! The soup is thick, flavourful and hearty. The chashu is delicious; tasty, charred and is a chunky thickness. Not the best photo this time but trust me, it's good!
Ashley T — Google review
The ramen has a great texture and a rich broth. The beef rice is delicious, though the carrot-looking garnish turned out to be ginger. I also love their cocktails. Overall, the atmosphere is great—highly recommended!
Jiahui W — Google review
I ordered the Black Garlic Tonkotsu ramen along with Gyoza, Karaage and beer. Unfortunately, the experience wasn’t the same as 2 years ago. The “ramen” was a bit thinner than last time. It tasted like it was rushed or made using instant seasoning. This place feels like a total rip-off.
Danny K — Google review
Muso has the best ramen in Gold Coast no doubt. Rich broth, perfect noodles, and full of flavor. Always hits the spot. If you love ramen, this is the place to go.
Cris G — Google review
Casual ramen shop with plenty of seating and a good selection of meals. The tonkotsu soy ramen was actually a bit disappointing, the broth was not as flavoursome as I expected. The pork was super fatty which is not my favorite. The black garlic was very fragrant and the karaage was cooked well. You can pick thick or thin noodles and the thick noodles were chewy and delicious. Overall, not my favourite ramen but it was pretty decent.

Such a cool vibe and such delicious food. Everything has that different and improved edge

Best ramen on the Gold Coast and rivals Taro Ramen in Brisbane in my opinion! 🤩❤️ From making their own noodles to the thick cut of meat to the rich broth, every bowl I’ve had at Muso has always been high quality and are extremely filling; you’ll really get your money’s worth! 🤤🤰🏻 🍜 🍜✨💕 The sides and cocktails are amazing as well!! Definitely get them but only if you can share so there’s enough room for the main attraction 🤣😋 They’re best for dine in but I’ve gotten takeaway before and it was still equally good. I’d recommend booking a table ahead around dinner time as they can get busy.

If Urbanlist brought you to this review, then read this. This is the only ramen place in the Gold Coast I keep coming back to, and is worth coming back to. Best ramen place in Queensland, maybe Australia? You can actually taste the noodles, and it's cooked - for a lack of a better term - al dente. I've now tried most of the menu, they even have monthly exclusives, but you'll never go wrong with the Black Miso/Soy series.

Motto Motto Japanese Kitchen at Pacific Fair is a renowned Japanese restaurant in Australia that aims to make authentic Japanese cuisine more accessible and enjoyable. The restaurant prides itself on offering a delightful dining experience with its diverse menu of Japanese dishes. Customers have raved about the comforting Classic Tonkotsu Ramen, noting the clean and non-oily broth and perfectly cooked fresh noodles. The Gyoza has also received high praise for its delicious flavor.
Red (Spicy) Ramen ($18.95): You can choose Pork Belly Chashu or Chicken Karaage as your meat in your ramen and I chose the former one because I wanted to try both kinds of meat, so I also ordered 3PC Chicken Karaage ($6.95) separately. The pork bellies are quite succulent and a little fatty, which was great. The ramen noodles had slurpy, soft, relatively thin texture and the richness of the spicy oil in the broth was absolutely amazing and at the right amount. 3PC Chicken Karaage ($6.95): You can choose between traditional mayo or spicy mayo. It was quite generous of the chef because she put 4 pieces in total rather than 3. The coating was well fried and super crunchy. Dipping them with spicy mayo tasted even better. Matcha Soft Serve ($3.95): You can make it delivered before or after your main dishes and in a cup or a cone. To my great surprise, this was probably the best matcha soft serve in the world as an old fan of matcha. The high sweetness and great creaminess of this soft serve were beyond description. There are a few Japanese Matcha chain cafés in Taiwan such as Tsujiri and Ito Kyuemon etc, but none of their equivalents were as superb and they cost like twice as much as this one. I highly suggest the matcha lovers come here to at least try this top notched matcha soft serve but also save some money. The portion of it was very great for its lower prices than most of the popsicles sold in the convenience stores. In conclusion, the restaurant only had few seats but you can also eat it outside and it was quite busy at Thursday night due to the shopping day. You can scan the QR code on the table to order and pay online with your card. However, if you want to pay in cash, you need to go to show your order at the counter and pay before the meal. The cashier was very friendly and efficient and the prices were affordable. The restaurant is located on the first floor in the front of The Patio. (You can easily see the restaurant if you’ve already entered The Patio on first floor) Overall, it’s a 9.5 out of 10!

I just ordered the salmon scallop poke — it looked great, but was extremely salty. My friend suggested I ask for a bit more rice to balance it out. I asked politely, but the staff replied, “You can purchase more for $2.” Sure, I guess I should pay for your kitchen’s oversight too? With this kind of customer service, you’re not just losing $2 — you’re losing future customers. Good luck!
Larice Y — Google review
There are two machines to take order, one lady waiting in front of one machine, so I walked to the other machine to order. However, after waiting for a few minutes, I was told that I had to go back to the first machine! There is NO sign placed at the front of the second machine saying NOT SERVING. The karrage chicken I ordered tasted not fresh, was cold. Felt like it was not cooked on the day. I would not visit again due to the unsatisfacory customer service and food quality.
Zhi L — Google review
I've been a fan of this restaurant since it opened, but I was surprised to see prices for the same dishes increase by 4-5 dollars with smaller portions. The taste is still great, but the pricing seems less reasonable now.

Ramen Danbo Surfers Paradise is a new and highly recommended spot for ramen lovers. The classic ramen with nitamago features a creamy broth and customizable noodle firmness, soup oiliness, and spiciness. Additional toppings like chaashuu slices are available for an extra cost. The delivery service is efficient, offering fresh and delicious ramen at a fair price. While the menu may be overwhelming, the quality of the broth and flavorful dishes make it worth it.
Lovely restaurant with friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere. We dined in on a Sunday afternoon around 1 PM, and it wasn’t too busy, which made for a nice, relaxed experience. There’s a great variety of options on the menu — I’d heard a lot about Ramen Danbo and was glad to finally visit after a recommendation from my nephew. Everything we ordered was delicious! The gyoza was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The fried rice had just the right level of spice and was packed with flavour. The ramen itself was great — the broth wasn’t overly salty (which I really appreciate), and the chashu and egg were absolutely on point. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and would definitely recommend it to others. I’m already planning to go back to try more dishes and see how consistent the food standard is.
Jeneafer Y — Google review
Quick serve! Friendly staff! Good food with moderate amount. It may be a bit more expensive than the other shops but the quality is good and worth the money. Charsiu slices are big and less fat, which is the most aspect that I like. Hence, you can choose the noodles firmness, saltiness of the soup and add in other toppings that u want.
Thục L — Google review
Good food. Gyosa seemed a little burned to me (see pic), staff didn't seem to understand me a little when asking simple questions. Vegetarian options available and delicious.
Andrew F — Google review
Dining at Ramen Danbo Surfers Paradise instantly reminded me of the bowls I had at Ichiran in Tokyo. The broth was rich, creamy, and full of umami, the noodles had the perfect firmness, and the spice balance was spot on. The atmosphere was warm and authentic, and the staff were friendly and attentive. It’s one of the closest experiences I’ve had in Australia to real Japanese ramen — a must-try for ramen lovers!
Chen — Google review
If I have to talk about Ramen, this place is an excellent idea, one of the best for my taste. I haven't tried other dishes, but I can evaluate the Ramen and it is excellent, very tasty, not greasy, and the service is fast.
CLAUDIA P — Google review
I picked the tonkotsu with no changes and found the broth to be more miso like than creamy. Noodles felt authentic very nice. The matcha drink I order tasted mostly like water till the end. A generous 4/5,

Had the classic ramen with egg, one of the best ramens I have had on the gold coast. Service was amazing very quick and efficient had my order in a quick manner. Overall was amazing would come again 10/10

As someone who has been to japan a few times. Obviously you chase that ramen fix, and this comes very close to exactly what you expect. Delicious, good value and traditional Japanese hospitality. Will be back next time on the GC.

Goukai Ramen is a popular eatery in Burleigh that offers an array of delicious Japanese dishes such as ramen, rice bowls, karaage, gyoza, and their famous Goukai roll. This hidden gem is well-known for its amazing food and friendly staff sporting trendy baseball caps that are also available for purchase. The highlight of the menu is the Red Hot Spicy Ramen for those who enjoy a bit of heat.
Best Ramen on the Gold Coast! Delicious authentic ramen, packed with incredible flavours in every bowl. Unlike many, they have a rice noodle option making it great for allergy sufferers. Great and friendly service, totally recommend!
Angela Z — Google review
Goukai Ramen is hands down the best ramen I’ve had in Australia. The broth is incredibly rich and flavorful, the noodles are perfectly cooked with a great chewy texture, and the toppings – especially the chashu – are just amazing. Every bowl feels made with passion and care. If you're a fan of ramen, you absolutely have to try this place. I strongly recommend it!
HANS — Google review
Amazing! The veggie ramen, as others have stated, were the best I’ve ever had! 😍 Thought through and just so full of flavour. The original ramen was delicious and satisfying too! Very filling. The marinated eggs were as on point as everything else. Attentive service and nice ambience with Japanese decor. Come early or reserve a table as all seats were taken or reserved 15 minutes after opening (Friday night).
Marlena M — Google review
I loved getting to enjoy authentic Japanese ramen in the Gold Coast. The black garlic ramen was delicious and adding extra noodles was a great choice to really savour the broth. Add this to your list of must-visits when you're in Burleigh!
Brendan W — Google review
One of the very best ramen places of all time and the best one in the Gold Coast. Great side dishes to go with the main ramen dishes and of course the ramen dishes themselves are excellent. The best ramen dish for me is always the red hot spicy ramen. The extra toppings are worth it too and portion sizes are excellent. I have always recommended this spot for family and friends visiting the Gold Coast and would recommend this place for everyone else wanting their ramen tastes 😊
Luke P — Google review
We got the original ramen which was deliciously made. It was nice to have some hot broth on a rainy day. Mako was really sweet as well :)
Rayna — Google review
Best ramen on the Gold Coast, very good quality ingredients and taste amazing. My partner and myself often go when it’s busy, and sometimes takes a while. But honestly we are never upset, cause it’s 1000% worth the wait. Must go!!

🍜 RAMEN CONNOISSEUR HONEST REVIEW 🍜 8/10 👍 I ordered the: Black garlic ramen, with mustard leaf, egg and extra pork. 👌 The broth was pleasant and bold. Full body of umami flavours, with a very good balance of salt and sweet notes. 🤤 The garlic compliments the pork excellently, as does the mustard leaf. The pork was sliced nice and thinly (just how I like it) and was charred very well. Portion size was good. Left me satisfied but not feeling like I ate too much. I’ve done ramen tours over in Japan trying some of the most popular and highly regarded places over there - and I really enjoyed Goukai in comparison. The only thing that’s separates would elevate this place is some really unique and interesting and original option for ramen on the menu. Classic is always good - but I’d love to see some creative flavours and options too.

Nestled on Marine Parade in Southport, JFX Noodle & Tapas Bar is a hidden gem that specializes in authentic ramen served in impressively large bowls. With an array of flavorful bases like black tonkotsu, jiro ramen, and miso tonkotsu, there's something to satisfy every palate. Beyond their signature noodles, the menu also features delightful Japanese dishes such as yakisoba and chintan chicken broth ramen.
Edit: I want to give this place one stars so people stop coming here because this is the best ramen joint on the Gold coast and if we don't book ahead then you sometimes just can't get a seat for the night. I love this ramen. Yum! What a sweet spot in Southport. Great location and cute restaurant. We got the dinner special where you can choose three items from a limited menu and damn it was good. Great pricing for the quality of food. Ramen broth was delicious, so full of flavour and piping hot. Noodles firm and pork was tender. Got the fried chicken or I guess karaage maybe, which was juicy. My partner got the pork dumplings and I got the chashu rice bowl. The rice bowl could have done with a bit less soy in the sauce, needed to be a bit sweeter or maybe added kewpie on top but it was very yum. Service was efficient although food took a little longer than expected but that's fine, they were pumping for a Tuesday night. Will definitely be back for a full bowl of ramen asap !
Jaz — Google review
We went on a Monday around lunchtime, close to their closing time, and they were still very welcoming and friendly, helping us choose our dishes with patience. The music was pleasant and not too loud, and parking was easy to find. I ordered the Soy Tonkotsu Ramen and my husband had the Yokohama Eak Ramen — both were absolutely delicious. The broth was rich and flavorful, and the pork was tender, melt-in-your-mouth soft, and not fatty at all. I’m definitely coming back to try more options. Highly recommend it!
Luana C — Google review
The food here is fantastic. They have a "try 3 different things" plate that is only $20. We tried the spicy ramen, regular creamy one, karage chicken, raw salmon sashimi, and raw fish eggs on rice. Everything was fresh and delicious. My only criticism was the portions are pretty small, so if your a bloke you have to order an additional dish. The beer on-tap is really nice too That being said, the size of the other ramens bowls for full-size and full pay looked gigantic, so I would opt for one of them if youre hungry. Overall I really enjoyed and loved the food though. Plus the staff are really friendly.
Dylan M — Google review
What difficult is to pick only one or two from their menu. From ramen, gyoza, curry, grill. All looks good! Great menu selection.

So happy to have found a new ramen spot! The whole menu is so reasonably priced and such a wide range of options. I had ramen and my partner had the katsu and they were both divine! It was super busy so they had let us know prior that food would be awhile, but it came out super quick! Looking forward to coming back though and trying more of the menu!
Amanda G — Google review
Simply delicious! Lots of food options and great quality food. Loved the salad and beef bbq, kids had ramen which tasted much better than from another restaurant two days ago. Such a treat after a swim session.
Kuzy F — Google review
Honestly my expectations were set kind of high since 2 of my Japanese friends recommended JFX to me when I mentioned that I like Jiro Ramen but I wasn't feeling hungry enough for a big portion like that today so instead decided to try the Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen sadly it was less than mediocre so I don't feel confident that the Jiro would be any good if they can't get something simple like Tonkotsu shoyu right. First of all the Broth was bland and had no depth it was a huge let down. it also tasted pretty fishy so maybe there was an overuse of Dashi?(Which also left me smelling of fish for the rest of my day👎) Second the noodles were mediocre and lastly the portion is so small it's unacceptable I've always ordered the standard amount of noodles from my favourite independent ramen shops in Japan and have never had an issue with the amount and even when I tried a ramen shop in West End I didn't have to order extra noodles either. other than that the staff are nice and I was served promptly so no complaints about the service 👍 the store and seating is pretty plain no real sense of the atmosphere that you would normally associate with a ramen shop which isn't a deal breaker It doesn't really matter to me as long as the food is good but it's always an added bonus to the experience.

8 Street Harbour Town 八號胡同 is a popular dining spot in the Harbour Town Eats precinct, offering a diverse range of high-quality Asian cuisine. The restaurant is known for its fresh and consistent dishes, with favorites like Tofu Pho Noodle Soup and Combination Pho. The atmosphere is vibrant with neon lights and a hawker-style food experience. While seating can be limited, the friendly staff ensures a pleasant dining experience.
Love the variety of food here. My favourite is definitely the Korean chicken. The quality is amazing of this restaurant. The inside is beautifully decorated and themed amazingly. Great atmosphere and lovely people. The smell of the food is amazing. The seating is squished inside and can get crammed when busy, but there is also seating outside. Been here multiple times and will definitely come back again.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stopped in for a quick dinner tonight at Eight Street in Harbour Town. The atmosphere was lively as always — full of colour, energy, and the buzz of people catching up over good food. I ordered the roast duck rice bowl, and it was absolutely spot-on. The duck was tender with a perfectly crisp skin, and the spicy sauce gave it just the right kick. Everything was fresh, served quickly, and the portion was generous. Prices have crept up a little, and seating can feel tight during peak times, but overall it’s still one of the best spots around for a quick, flavoursome meal and a relaxed night out.

My friend and I got attracted by the rock stone lions 🦁 decoration aka “foo dogs statues”. Once we were in, I decided to have Filipino food, while my friend wanted to try Chinese food. I chose the pork sisig with rice and my friend picked crispy noodles with prawns 🍤. Both were delicious 😋. My friend even got a complimentary mandarin🍊 from the Chinese restaurant, Slizzing Kitchen. It’s worth a shot for sure.

We’ve visited BC&B Korean Restaurant at Harbour Town 8 Street multiple times before, including just last weekend, and have generally enjoyed the food. However, this time was a terrible experience. We ordered both chicken and pork dishes, but the meat in both tasted off — sour and clearly not fresh. When we raised our concerns with the chef, there was no apology, no offer to remake the meal, and no compensation of any kind. We paid $37 for the meal, and it was completely wasted as we couldn’t eat it. It’s disappointing not only because of the poor quality this time, but also due to the lack of basic customer service when we politely brought it to their attention. Sadly, this has made us question whether we’d return again. Photos attached for reference.

This is our favourite Japanese restaurant on the Gold Coast. The food is authentic and delicious, and the staff are lovely. Added to this, it is very affordable, especially for the serving size. Tonight I had a Bento box which was so generous I wasn't able to finish! I highly recommend Ichi ban ya to everyone who enjoys Japanese cuisine...or are eager to try it! 😁

Simply put, it’s an Asian food court with cuisines from various Asian countries. It’s right across Reading Cinemas and inside Harbour Town Eats. However, it has always been relatively crowded and bustling inside here compared to other places in the shopping centre.

I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding an absolutely disgraceful experience my partner and I had at your establishment, 8 Street, specifically the restaurant ‘ichi ban ya’. While attempting to enjoy a meal in peace, we were harassed in a deeply unsettling and unacceptable manner by a woman who was one of the shop owners or vendors operating within your premises. This individual repeatedly circled our table in an aggressive and bizarre fashion, staring directly at us with an intensity that can only be described as disturbing. As if that wasn’t enough, she proceeded to deliberately point her phone camera at my partner’s face and take a photo of her—in what she very poorly attempted to disguise as a sneaky action. It was invasive, creepy, and completely unprovoked. When confronted, she refused to open her phone, clearly aware she had been caught. Eventually, and only under pressure, she opened the phone and blatantly deleted the photo in front of our faces while simultaneously insisting that she never took one. The level of dishonesty was as pathetic as it was insulting. This sort of behavior is not only invasive but borders on harassment. There is absolutely no excuse for it, and the only possible explanation is either a total lack of respect for customer privacy or some level of mental instability that makes her unfit to be interacting with the public. You seriously need to vet who you allow to operate within your space. Customers should not have to worry about being secretly photographed or stalked while they eat. I expect a proper explanation and confirmation that this individual has been fired and reprimanded accordingly. If this is the kind of conduct tolerated in your venue, I can assure you I—and many others—will be taking our business elsewhere.

Hakataya Ramen is a cozy spot located at Shop 26/3131 Gold Coast Hwy, Surfers Paradise QLD 4217. The restaurant offers a variety of ramen dishes such as Nagahama ramen and Tonmeshi, both praised for their gentle light Tonkotsu soup, perfectly cooked noodles, and tasty pork slices.
One of the best ramen spots on the Gold Coast! The broth is rich and full of flavor, and the noodles have the perfect texture. The staff are friendly, service is quick, and the free extra noodles are a great bonus. Highly recommend if you’re craving authentic Japanese ramen!

The best ramen I've had in Gold Coast! The Miso Spicy Men is just $18.50 but the portion is generous, especially when you can add extra ramen for most of the time! The soup’s spiciness is just right, it is spicy but is still in your acceptable range, and the pork and seaweed are fresh. Everything together is a perfect match! Well done!

⭐️ Parents, think twice before bringing your kids here. We went as four adults with a 2-year-old toddler, hoping for a simple meal, and it turned into one of the most stressful experiences ever. First, we were told we couldn’t sit until we ordered — imagine trying to hold a wriggly toddler and being told “no seats” while figuring out the restaurant. Even worse, we had finally sat down, and the staff asked us to leave. It felt outright insulting. Their English is very poor, so we could barely understand the confusing rules. The seating system makes zero sense: adults were shuffled to the low kiddie tables, while the toddler area we actually needed was off-limits. No high chair, no assistance, no flexibility — completely unhelpful for families. In the end, we had to sit in the food court area, with meals served in cheap takeaway boxes. It even felt like the portions had been reduced, probably to save money. A meal that should have been relaxed and family-friendly turned into stressful, exhausting, and humiliating. ❌ Baby/toddler unfriendly ❌ Poor communication ❌ Illogical seating ❌ Not worth your money If you’ve got kids, just don’t come here.

I think we were served by the manager? Can’t be sure because we didn’t ask but she was lovely, I was about to use a tissue to cover my shirt and she handed me the bib/apron (I was wearing white on white 🤣 and eating spicy), mid rush they were very busy, even so the food came out very quickly and without any loss of quality ❤️ did not disappoint, will be back next time I’m craving ramen 🤤

I had the spicy miso-men - very friendly staff, the place was busy for lunch on Saturday - they gave me a very tasty pickle. Really enjoyed my meal! Perfect portion size for me - recommend them!

Always delicious Ramen with a very friendly and caring staff especially Harumi who sends out dishes fast, fresh and always with a smile. I bring my 5 year old here after dance each Saturday and she loves the extra free bowl of noodles I get with my Ramen. She will now only eat with chopsticks here. This is my favorite place to dine at Pacific Fair. They even do takeout if you are in a hurry. Definitely stop in for a delicious Ramen and Dumplings meal when next at Pacific Fair Broadbeach.

Hideaway Kitchen & Bar is a vibrant restaurant offering Asian sharing plates and cocktails. The venue features a terrace with oriental-themed umbrellas and energetic street-art murals, creating an atmosphere that transports diners away from the bustling streets of central Broadbeach. The extensive menu captures the vibrancy of Asian street food and culture, ensuring satisfaction even for picky eaters.
Just had an enjoyable dinner with Chrissie for our 32nd wedding anniversary at Hideaway Restaraunt opposite the Casino at Broadbeach on the Gold Coast. From start to finish a very memorable night. An Asian Fusion delight. Not just because of you know who sitting opposite me but the food and service was unbelievably good. Yes we do not drink alcohol but for $174 it was super value. Even blankets offered as it was very cold even with the heaters. Also gave us take away containers as just too much offered for the $69 per person deal. Oh many thanks for all the nice wishes today. It's lovely to have good friends and family who go that bit extra.

We ate a lot. And we could, and we were full! The food came quickly, exactly, and in good portions for sharing. Each dish is the combination of Asian cuisine, Thai, Malaysian, Cantonese, Singaporean, Japanese, Korean, you name it. If you expect for the Asian fusian, yes it is the place. Had a great time!!! The waitresses were amazingly helpful anf friendly!!!

Hideaway Broadbeach is an absolute standout! From the moment you step inside, the vibrant décor and atmosphere make you feel like you’ve found something special. The food is fresh, full of flavour, and perfect for sharing – every dish we tried was a winner. The cocktails are just as impressive and really complement the menu. The service was excellent – friendly, attentive, and genuine, with staff who clearly know the menu well and gave great recommendations. It’s the perfect spot for a fun day/night out or a special occasion. Easily one of the best dining experiences in Broadbeach – highly recommend!
Louisa M — Google review
Nice vibes walls are definitely not boring - there's quite a lot going on which was kinda cool. There is indoor and outdoor seating - the outdoor seating had heaters for cooler temperatures. It was a bit hard to get the attention of wait staff at times as we were seated a bit out of their view. I also noticed a few guests at the entrance waiting to be seated despite it being 1/4 full. They currently have a promotion on Mondays for those who enjoy a margarita. What we ordered (for 2 people) were: - raw platter with oysters kingfish and salmon: there were 4 pieces of each seafood. We chose ponzu sauce and miso sauce for the Pacific oysters as per picture. We ate the miso oysters first and that was quite overpowering as it made the rest of the seafood taste bland. That being said, if we had started off with the ponzu oysters and ended with the miso oysters, we probably would've found the dish decent because it was like a journey. - pork belly skewers (we saw good reviews so we ordered it): had a decent char but could've seasoned the pork belly with a bit more salt or the sweet soy sauce could've been thicker so when we dipped the pork in the sauce it wouldn't run off completely. That being said, the spring onion and chilli on top did help bring more elements of flavour to the pork - som dtum papaya salad with tofu and chilli (forgot to take a photo): when it arrived, we didn't have tofu on it but when we brought it to the staff's attention, they generously made a new one for us with tofu. I personally felt it was a bit one dimensional as it was quite tangy - I ended up adding some of the sweet soy sauce from the pork skewers to add more depth. (I would recommend adding a tiny bit of fish sauce as well). The tofu probably wasn't the best I've had and I'm hoping it was just a once off occurrence. - pad see ew with beef (forgot to take a photo of this too): this had more flavour than the other dishes and smelled amazing when it was served. If I were to order anything again, it would probably be this as it was filling and decently priced.

Highly recommend if you are in the area, look no further. An Asian fusion delight at the highest quality... Order any beef dish and you won't be disappointed, other standouts were the Lamb Massaman potato curry and prawn honey dumplings. But everything was so fresh, flavoursome and tender as anything 🤌🏼
Maggie M — Google review
The cocktails and service were good, but the food didn’t quite meet expectations. While the meat in the massaman curry was very tender, the dish was quite bland. The sweet soy pork belly bao buns were also underwhelming, with most of the flavor coming from the aioli sauce. On a positive note, the karaage chicken was quite enjoyable.

Good place for food and drinks. Loved most of the food we ordered (tataki, wagyu dumplings, eggplant). The servings are small though and a bit expensive for the size

Charis Seafoods is a bustling seafood market in Gold Coast that offers a variety of fresh and live seafood, including fish and chips, calamari, prawns, sashimi, and oysters. It is known for its high-quality food and the unique experience of witnessing pelican feeding at 1:30 every day. The place is always busy with locals and visitors lining up to enjoy their delicious offerings.
Pretty good! I’ve seen they feed pelicans and wondered it. I haven’t tried fish chips before but i can feel it’s pretty good fish chips. I ordered calamari small size and fish bites small as well, i relized i don’t like fish&chips but that’s my personal taste so i give 5 stars! (Calamari was good)
Sun — Google review
They not only sell a wide range of seafoods including live crabs at reasonable prices but also fish and chips but there’s no tables inside and takeaways only. You can still find a table or a bench to sit down, eat and enjoy the waterfront view but they are mostly occupied during peak hours. Speaking of public transportation, you can economically get here by tram to Southport and transferring for 704 or 711.

Best seafood ever in Gold Coast for me😋 The fish and chips here are amazing! The prawns are super fresh and tasty, and everything is cooked perfectly.
Sophie N — Google review
Look i always love coming to Charis seafoods & have been for the past 8 years. Its just getting busier & busier, harder to get parking & quite stressful as every man and his dog is there especially in the weekend. I guess that speaks to how popular & good the food & service is. So to summerise, if you don’t mind juggling parking & waiting in line, overall its a good experience with great choice of takeaway packages & a very good range of seafood & fish

Make sure to stop by Charis Seafood around 1:30pm—it’s not just about the fresh seafood, but also the amazing sight of pelicans gathering for their daily feed. Truly memorable!
Dawsun H — Google review
Go for the daily pelican feeding at 1:30pm - dozens of pelicans (and the occasional pigeons) trying to get their beaks on a piece of fish - quite a sight. The fried stuff: fish, calamari, prawns were all good albeit on the oily side. The cooked king prawns were large and sweet. Some of the scallop sashimi were a bit sandy though. Watch out for the birds and keep an eye on your food - any unguarded food on the table will be snapped up by the birds.

Only a couple of tables at the venue itself, that faces the carpark. Though for a few steps, there's tables in the park area and am undercover table area. Can buy cooked... It's fresh and nice. Nice fat chips, soft calamari, fresh fish is quality

Food: 10/10. Service: 0/10. The food here is absolutely amazing — every bite was full of flavor, fresh, and perfectly cooked. If I were rating just the kitchen, I’d give it a standing ovation. Unfortunately, the staff brought the whole experience down. Rude, inattentive, and seemed like they didn’t want to be there. It’s a shame, because the food deserves better service. If you can put up with the attitude, your taste buds will thank you — just don’t expect a smile with your meal.
Matyss B — Google review
I've recently started visiting Govindas quite often and always go for their combo deal (rice + 2 or 3 sides). I’ve tried the Thai curry, pakoras, and potato wedges, all really tasty! The staff is always welcoming and friendly. Prices are fair, and the portion size is perfect for one person. Will definitely keep coming back!
Parth G — Google review
The vegetarian food on offer was sumptuous and healthy, however the presentation of the lasagne on the plate was ordinary and was barely warm. Service was not welcoming or friendly. They were serving food and processing payments with blank looks. Atmosphere was also lacking. Music would help as well as improving customer rapport.

Cute restaurant with covered sidewalk seating and also indoor seating. The bao buns were amazingly fluffy and soft! I loved the lamb rib bao, it was flavourful and moreish! 17th Sept 2023 I thought it was about time to update my review of Lucky Bao. Not sure why as not much has changed....still great!!! My partner and I stopped in for lunch. Very cheerful staff, always makes a great difference. Place is nicely laid out with inside and outside seating options. My partner had a tofu bao, I had the agedashi tofu and we shared a shaved cabbage salad and pok choy. All delicious although the pok choy stems were a little chewy which was only an issue as the pieces are big. Chop sticks made eating them a little troublesome but the taste was spot on. If you are after a big "feed", the cost will add up but what you get is beautiful , tasty, healthy food. For mere mortals, the food will leave you satisfied and happy to remember each flavour some mouthful. Recommended and reliable. 2017 Asian hamburger alternative but healthy and full of flavour. Plenty of choices too not just the baos. Could recommend the tempura soft shell crab bao, the salt and pepper tofu bao, the pork bao..yummy! The taro chips which sound a bit radical were to die for. Service friendly, atmosphere good, plenty of places to sit. Excellent

Phoned up to order takeaway, took about 20 minutes, or you can eat in. Food was yummy and good enough sized servings to fill us up.. We had chicken ramen noodle, chicken katsu curry and karaage chicken bowls. All up was $77 for the three meals. Which compared to other local take away, is a little more expensive. There are vegan and gluten free options. Parking can be difficult as there are a handful of other restaurants in there, also bottle shop and tavern all competing for carparks. There is disabled parking available.

Worst experience ever do not come to this venue for any form of celebration upon arrival they added an extra $5 corkage per head. It took more than half an hour with them fighting with us to pay each our $55 upfront they added an extra $10 to cut the cake that we brought for the birthday girl we booked for 18 people and 17 did come and they still made us pay for 18 people. Exceptionally rude staff. Really made the entire experience a terrible experience I do not care how good the food tastes (because It’s been a booking for 18h30pm. And it’s 19h00pm and we’ve had nothing to eat) terrible service rude staff and chef avoid this place at all costs and they do not use any electronic till and hand write their bill leaving you guessing what the heck you paid for. The place is gorgeous, great for taking photos. Food and drinks were really nice, loved the drink menu matrix as it was spot on. Favourite dish was the pulled pork tacos, they were smaller than expected (about the size of your hand) so I’d recommend getting multiple tacos. A little bit of a weird crowd with couples and families with little kids. Only thing I would say is if you are having a kid free night. Don't go too early. Otherwise. Thoroughly recommend.

Smoky Paprika Corn Crispy Barramundi Fish Tacos Muchos Nachos Jalapenos Poppers Tommy’s Margarita & Sandria Margarita House LaLaLand Pinot Gris Nova VIta Sauvignon Blanc Frozen Margarita Had a girls' dinner herel on Friday and kicked things off with the Patrón Paddle. Four margaritas for $50, which was great value. We ordered a mix of dishes to share. The corn was just okay, nothing special, and I probably wouldn’t recommend it. But the jalapeño poppers were delish. The creamy filling was subtle yet delicious, pairing perfectly with the juicy jalapeño and crispy breading. Nachos were solid, made with house-made chips and a generous amount of toppings. The fish tacos were also great, featuring a well-sized battered barramundi fillet that worked well with the toppings and chipotle mayo. The only letdown was the service. Staff weren’t very friendly, and they didn’t even give us tap water.

I have been in Friday Sol twice. One was in 2021 lunch. One was 2025 yesterday night. Things change a bit. 4 years ago, everything was operate upstairs with the little cool door. The place was more delicate with Instagram fanciness and food was great. This year, they move to downstairs dining. Noisy and food is still ok with dietary options but they started to shut kitchen and bar at 8:40 although close time is 10pm on Google maps. Everything was so rush. My husband cannot even finish his drink after crazy stuffing food down, so he wasted nearly full mocktail there ( we booked to seat in 7:45). Maybe management changed to fast food and go style now. I don’t know…

Went here for Wednesday lunch and loved their Wednesday nacho special. Sooo tasty. The sides jalapeño poppers and cauliflower bites were delicious too (cauli was my favorite) Also please note this picture was taken after eating some, they come in a bigger serve 🤩 Anyway getting two sides and a main each we were so full and took takeaways for dinner. Tasted delicious even later on. I’m glad they have actually tasty vegetarian and vegan options too.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely loved our experience at Frida Sol! 🌮 ✨ The food was fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented — hands down some of the best Mexican on the Gold Coast. The margaritas were perfection 🍹 and the service was warm, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing. The atmosphere is vibrant and fun, with those gorgeous Palm Beach rooftop views making it feel like a mini escape. Highly recommend for a celebration or date night, catch-up with friends, or just because you deserve tacos

GOTO Japanese Restaurant, located at Shop 30002, 9 Lawson St, Southport 4215, offers a unique dining experience. While they technically don't serve ramen, their Champon dish is quite similar in terms of ingredients. The restaurant is known for treating every customer equally and providing personalized service. Their fresh and flavorsome ramen bowls are a highlight. Visitors can expect high-quality food and good service from the attentive chefs.
Without doubt the best Japanese restaurant on the Gold Coast! We are so lucky to have this restaurant on the GC. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed every plate, with all of them, beautifully constructed in front of our eyes! Overall really great value too! Compared to comparable restaurants around the world. Definitely deserves a Michelin Star!

What a great little find! We didn’t have a booking, but we turned up and were seated at the bar to see the chefs hard at work with their amazing attention to detail. The food and service were faultless. I’m not a seafood eater but there was still sufficient food on the menu to keep me more than enticed. It’s a step up on most Southport restaurants and the vibe is great! Will definitely be back! 👏

An amazing experience on Saturday at Goto. We ordered the degustation style menu which came to the table over 9 courses. Each beautifully plated meal was delicious. A really enjoyable experience all round. I would recommend bar seating so that you can enjoy watching the chef's at work.

We came here to celebrate birthday with omakase. The experience is very nice especially sitting at the bar. We were astonished by the efficiency of the staff members but at the same time friendly and professional. The course were nice portion and we both were full after. Our fav is the tuna steak, the Suimono and the mushi-mono. The sashimi and nigiri are also very nice too. Way better option for omakase experience compared to some other expensive places where you don’t even feel you’ve eaten afterwards and had to chase some food after. Would def go back for different meal next time.

Amazing! So delicious and the service impeccable. I love I want to go again. In addition to the pics, order salmon sashimi and king prawns maki. Had my favourite to chawanmushi too - winning.

We walked in for dinner. Friendly staff and quite authentic Japanese food (I lived in Japan for quite a few years :)) I recommend trying their toothfish, which is wrapped in leaves and cooked and dipped in kinda saikyouyaki miso, very yummy!

I ordered the bluefin tuna don. The tuna was fresh and tasty, but the portion was very stingy — no otoro and very thin slices, and not worth the price. Service was unbalanced. Yuki was friendly and professional. Hiromi, on the other hand, was rude and unwelcoming. What stood out most was how differently Western customers were treated — greeted with big smiles, deep bows, and extra attention. It’s seems like Western people are more valuable. The bias was very obvious and quite disgusting. Good fish, but the double standards in service are unacceptable.

Beun Modern Japanese is a hidden gem that offers high-quality Japanese cuisine with a delightful fusion twist. The restaurant's unassuming location adds to its charm, making it a must-visit for food enthusiasts. Dishes like the fresh marinara pasta and succulent sous vide chicken showcase the chef's expertise. The 4-course lunch menu presents an array of flavors, from the varied toppings of Chirashi to the tender chicken with truffle soy butter.
Fantastic food, fantastic service - definitely recommend the course menu! Will definitely come back 😊

What a hidden gem Beun is. All the food were delicious. You can tell that the cool solo chef cooks with passion and attention to detail, because everything that came out from the kitchen were outstanding. If I have to give a minor criticism, it would be the amount of white rice served to us was only around half a cup. More would be much appreciated given the price. Overall, this is one of the best Japanese restaurants in GC.

Unassuming little shop that seriously blew our socks off. Make sure you get their homemade chilli flakes on the side. We ordered the set meal for $70. Amazing. Thank you.

Hidden gem, the food is amazing ! My children love the miso ramen, surprise how tender the chicken breast is , like melting in mouth, and I enjoyed my beef curry. Entrees we had sashimi salmon and chirashi very fresh.

This has to be hands down my favourite restaurant in Gold Coast. Highly recommended. I have been back several times and will continue to do so. I recommended numerous family and friends to dine here, none was disappointed. Everyone love it and always come back again. One of the best Japanese Italian fusion restaurant in Gold Coast. Food: Spectacular. $70 for 4 course meal is definitely a go to (reminder to book). Ingredients are always fresh. Service : Great. They even take the effort to remember what I had (4 course meal) on my previous visit so that I have different dishes being serve each time I return. Pricing : Resonable. 4 course meal is definitely worth it. Overall : amazing couple, amazing chef with amazing food!!

So good! Wife and I got the dinner set meal. Sashimi was FRESH!!! And it's real wasabi! Wagyu pancake was complex in flavour, slow cooked to perfection and with the crispy pancake gives it great texture. We changed the pasta to the beef egg plant one. It had a perfect balance in sweetness, saltiness and acidity. And this is coming from a person that avoids pasta. Steak was probably the weakest point. It's perfectly medium rare, it just didn't have the crust that I prefer in my steaks. But I'd imagine it's because it's been souvide. Panko bug was fresh and crispy with home made tartar and chilli flakes. Just can't complain. This places makes me feel like I'm back in Japan!!! Don't think twice.... Just go

If you're on the hunt for an authentic ramen experience, look no further than Hanakyo. This delightful noodle house specializes in Tonkotsu ramen, featuring a rich and flavorful broth that is both charred and savory. The noodles are expertly crafted, perfectly complementing the overall dish. Diners rave about the exceptional customer service and the inviting open kitchen where you can watch chefs meticulously prepare each meal with care.
We are staying down near the Gold Coast and dinner time since we are on a mini break treated the family to some Japanese ramen This placed popped up during a quick search and so happy we found this hidden gem, snuck in behind the main road and next to a servo. It was only a 12 minute drive from where we are staying. Friendly staff and even better exceptional ramen. This has to be our favourite place for ramen. From the moment you walk in, it feels like home, greeted warmly We had to grab a bigger table since there was 6 of us, no problems just shifted 2 tables We ordered the following tonkotsu with seaweed Spicy tonkotsu Shio tonkotsu Curry rice katsu Karrage chicken Edamame beans Everything was great, the Spicy was spot on evenly balanced, Wife had the tonkotsu with seaweed and she was impressed and now her favourite ramen also. Must visit if you want ramen that is made with love and care, as they say, Hanakyo - Japanese ramen with a dedication to soup perfection 👌,

An authentic ramen experience that transports you to Japan. Hanakyo Ramen offers something rare not just food, but feeling. A kind of nostalgic warmth that hits you the moment the bowl is placed in front of you. From the depth of the broth to the integrity of the chashu, every detail speaks of quiet mastery and tradition. From the very first sip of broth, you can feel the care, precision, and tradition that goes into every bowl at Hanakyo. The ramen here is rich without being heavy, deeply savoury, and filled with the kind of warmth that only comes from a true dedication to the craft. The chashu is perfectly balanced, tender with a slight charred edge that melts beautifully into the broth. The noodles are springy and fresh, and the seasoned egg is done with absolute care. Everything about this meal felt honest, grounded, and lovingly executed. Hanakyo doesn’t try to be flashy. Instead, it lets the food speak. And what it says is this: “Welcome home.” For those seeking a true Japanese ramen experience without a passport, Hanakyo is a treasure. I walked away from the table with an empty bowl and a full heart. This is easily one of the most nostalgic, authentic ramen experiences I’ve had outside Japan and a rare gem on the Gold Coast.

An authentic ramen serving Japanese noodle house 🏠 Tonkotsu ramen with additional seaweeds, had a chared-tasting soup and meat, very palatable indeed! An original Osaka Japan ramen noodle as relayed by one of the staff, thank you kindly for the information. On top of that, the noodles are superbly made, blending neatly with the whole package of ramen. A satisfying and gratifying bowl of Japanese ramen. Wifey got herself tonkotsu with standard ramen and standard soup base. The oldies got themselves shoyu ramen and a serving of karage with fried rice, another very satisfying-tummy-filling meal. Priced well with the amount of served meals. Chef Takashi had done well 👌 Hint: The stall itself is located within Ampol petrol station in # 2 Riverside Road, Nerang. Just so you won't get lost, like we did, hehe . BTW, the bowl sits on a non-slip mat, prevents it from moving while you scoop the soup or whilst you are consuming the ramen 🍜, such a nice move Hanakyo.

We’re staying on the Gold Coast from Melbourne and were craving ramen when we came across Hanakyo. The service was absolutely top notch—nothing like it—and the food was just as delicious. They were so accommodating with my little one—giving her cutlery, her own cup, and even a sticker (we don’t often come across restaurants that do this, so it was really nice to see). Overall, they were so friendly with us and our little one. The food was amazing, and it’s definitely somewhere we would come back to again when we’re on the Gold Coast.

Little busy ramen store. The texture and taste are fabulous. Highly recommend the spicy one! Only that they could be really slow especially when there is a large group ahead of you. Better let the customer know if there is excessive waiting time.

The staff is absolutely lovely — excellent customer service! I loved the open kitchen concept; I could see the chef carefully organizing every single piece of food to make it look perfect. It truly felt like he was preparing each plate with love. And then… I tried the ramen — and wow, it was a bomb! The broth was rich and full of soul, the noodles were just right, and the pork was seasoned to perfection! 100% recommended and they have a new consumer here!!
Larissa L — Google review
So flavourful and delicious! Rich broth, perfectly cooked egg, thick pork chashu and great noodles. Highly recommend.

I have saved this restaurant for a long time. Today I finally made my first go to try this Japanese ramen. Of course they didn't make me disappointed ☺️ Both ramen were severed hot and fresh. Staff are attentive and excellent services, so kind and always put on their smile. Pork and chicken broths were so pure and well filtered the fatty oil which made them very healthy and enjoyable 😍 The Chai siu(bbq pork) was so 🔥😍 They literally melted in my mouth. We felt so comfortable with the portions and we didn't feel thirsty after the ramen, means they used real broth and put a lot of effort for quality control. They now have lucky dice after the meal and the activity lasts until the end of 2025. Try to win some gifts for yourself haha 😄 We can't wait to come back ❤️✨️😊

Tucked away in the Ferry Road Market, Ramen Bro Sake and Bar is a delightful haven for ramen enthusiasts. This charming spot offers an array of delectable dishes including gyoza, bao buns, and fried rice, all complemented by an impressive selection of sake and shochu cocktails. With six distinct broth options like tonkotsu and vegan konbu shiitake, there's something to satisfy every palate.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Incredible flavors and atmosphere! Ramen Bro Sake and Bar is a hidden gem for any ramen lover. The broth was rich and perfectly balanced, and the noodles had just the right amount of bite. I tried their signature ramen along with a side of cauliflower , and both were absolutely delicious. The sake menu was impressive, offering a variety of choices to complement the meal. The staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, making great recommendations. The ambiance was cozy yet vibrant, ideal for both casual dinners and date nights. Yum! Try the corn—seriously, it’s just corn, but somehow it’s the best corn I’ve ever had. Every dish was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. I didn’t try the ramen this time, but I absolutely plan to return soon just for that. The service was fast, friendly, and efficient, making the whole experience even better. Highly recommend! Thank you for the beautiful dinner, cya again soon!

I ordered two ramen bowls: the Signature Ramen and the Black Garlic Ramen. Unfortunately, both were disappointing. • Broth: Not served hot and lacked depth of flavor. The black garlic broth was clearly overcooked, leaving a bitter taste instead of the expected aroma. The broth is the soul of ramen, and here it completely failed to deliver. • Egg: Overcooked, not the soft-boiled molten yolk (ajitama) you’d expect. • Chashu & Noodles: These were acceptable – the pork was decent and the noodles had a good bite. • Overall: Doesn’t feel like an authentic Japanese ramen shop. Final verdict: Tried once, but won’t be coming back.

I genuinely believe this is the best ramen I've ever had. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, creating such a warm atmosphere. It felt like a perfect place to enjoy a comforting meal.

We visited to try the ramen. I ordered the Signature Tonkotsu, but it didn’t quite meet my expectations. The broth was mild and lacked depth, and although the pork was tender, it was a bit fatty for my taste. The noodles reminded me of instant noodles in texture. My husband went for the Special Tonkotsu with black garlic, which had a much richer and more flavorful broth. His noodles were firmer and had a much better texture, and the black garlic added a nice umami boost. However, his pork was also on the fatty side. I might come back to try the gyoza, yakisoba, or other dishes, but I don’t think this will be my go-to place for ramen.
Luana C — Google review
I would say they have the best Ramen in town. Quality could be compared with the standard in Japan Other food option taste good too. Just I feel the salmon usuzkuri is a bit wired. Maybe an option to use another type of fresh fish. Like king fish...etc.
KS C — Google review
It was a quite disappointing dining experience. The ramen broth didn’t have Japanese style pork-infused flavour. Black roasted garlic was bitter. The pork in ramen was very fatty and made me feel sick. 6 paper-thin slices of salmon for $16 seemed to be a joke. Told the cashier the bad experience but she didn’t seem to be bothered to know. Anyway, sorry, not again.

Ramen Kyo is a delightful newcomer on the Gold Coast, quickly winning over ramen enthusiasts with its exquisite Kyoto-style offerings. Nestled in Mermaid Beach, this charming spot boasts a menu that honors tradition while introducing creative twists. Diners can savor rich, slow-cooked chicken and seafood broths paired with springy house-made noodles and unique toppings that elevate each bowl.
Ramen Kyo was so welcoming when we came in! The staff greeted us nicely and guided us to a table. We ordered 2x Gold and Black Ramen and they were delicious! We finished everything and I would highly recommend ordering what we got! The location is very convenient for us and the shop's interior was very aesthetic and matched the vibes of their music. Overall, W ramen gang and would come again.
Logan L — Google review
The atmosphere at Ramen Kyo is great, and the ramen looks really appetising. However, the queue system was quite confusing and disorganised. I arrived earlier with a group of three, but smaller groups that came after us were seated first, which I understand due to table availability. What was disappointing, though, is that a group of four who arrived after us not only got seated before us but also received their food much faster. We ended up waiting over 40 minutes more than others, and even after they finished their ramen, we still hadn’t received ours. It really took away from the overall experience, which is a shame because the food looked great. Overall the food is great and will recommend it.

We tried to visit the day before but couldn’t get a table due to the time, so we made sure to come back today. And I’m glad we did! I ordered the White Ramen, and it was absolutely delicious. The chicken broth was kind of creamy, rich in flavor, and the chicken was super tender. My partner had the Gold Ramen, which had a bold seafood taste that was so good. The combination with the soft pork, not too fatty — worked perfectly. The noodles were soft yet firm, just like real homemade ramen. We also ordered vegetable, chicken, and prawn gyozas, and they were all very tasty full and well-prepared. I definitely recommend this restaurant and would love to come back to try more flavors.

We came here today with my friend, and since it was our first visit, we ordered a bit more than usual to try different dishes. Everything was delicious and beautifully prepared. 3.5⭐️ It's rare to find a ramen shop without pork bones soup😳 I was very interested in this place. Their soups are a bit different for each ramen. I wanted to have Kin ramen🍜 but I wanted to have chicken chashu too. So I asked to swap topping 😊 And I had Mixed gyoza as well ☺️ I liked to have different fillings of gyoza in one plate🥳👍🏻 That's a good option to order 😉 Gyoza was nice, I liked the prawn one🤗 Ramen soup had a very gentle flavour. It's not that strong seafood flavour 🤔🤔🤔 Chicken chashu was perfect 💯 👍🏻 Noodle was not my liking but I would love to try a different ramen bowl next time🤗 My friend had a seasoned egg and was looked so yummy, that I would try it too😋 When we leave the place no one in the kitchen or floor 😓 I wanted to say thank you…..😅
Yuka L — Google review
Was planning to come here for a couple of weeks, as I noticed the prices were much cheaper than the expected. Sadly the prices were increased, and sadly do not match the expected quality. When we decided to come here, we found the menu very difficult to understand, as it didn't explain what certain things were and used the exact same names for food options as other Raman shops in the area despite being completely different. There were no kids options, or portion size options. There was also very misleading information advertising a first time sale, that was apparently only available for online orders, despite no part of the advertisement pointing or even mentioning online or internet. The seating was rather uncomfortable, especially for eating Raman, as the chairs are too high and force you to constantly bend, leaning into your bowl. There are no options for lower seats or higher tables unless you sot at the bar, which is only really welcoming when solo. Could become a great restaurant, but currently displays a clear lack of business research not only for the local community, but also for Australian law.
Islesofurth — Google review
Delicious creamy soup, could have a bit more salt but it would then take away from the umami broth. My fav ramen joint in Gold Coast however - wish they did pork chashu instead of only chicken / smoked duck. Karaage chicken is average & small serve for the price. - noodles are average - quite overpriced. Ramen ranges $23-26. Toppings eg flavored egg or 1 oyster mushroom is $3

Since its debut in 2024, Harahetta Ramen in Coolangatta has quickly established itself as a must-visit destination for ramen enthusiasts. The highlight of the menu is undoubtedly the black garlic tonkotsu, featuring a luxurious 12-hour pork broth infused with fragrant garlic oil and topped with tender chashu that practically melts in your mouth. Vegetarians can also indulge in a delicious shiitake-based vegan ramen that delivers an impressive umami punch.
The best ramen I have had on the coast. The broth was full of flavour and the pork melted in my mouth. My partner ordered the karage rice bowl and the chicken was so tender and tasty. This place is a must! I can't wait to get back to try the other flavours of ramen.

Ramen is one of the best on the Gold Coast. Tonkatsu broth is super tasty but a little too much for me towards the end. Ramen cooked to perfection Kids ramen is just like the standard tonkatsu ramen, very generous! If you get a seat at one of the 5 tables inside, I’m sure the atmosphere is great however the other tables outside I feel like more of a food court. When we were there, it was busy. We had to wait 20mins for a table and 45 mins for our food The app you used to order was impossible to use.. Super Laggy, save yourself the hassle and order out the counter!

Just opened in Coolangatta. We went there at 6pm nsw, means 5pm QLD but nearly full. After sitting down a long queue waiting to be served!! It took time for foods to be served, not many tables for two. Internet was not working with online order. They should put more tables. We were a bit upset with service but it was worth it for waiting and foods were extremely amazing! The best ramen since I’ve been in Australia. Anyway staff is friendly. We will go back for sure.

If you're on the Gold Coast, make sure to stop by MUSO Ramen, where you'll find some of the finest ramen in Australia. Their thoughtfully curated menu offers a delightful range of options, including spicy miso and traditional Yokohama ramen, as well as dashi varieties that will satisfy any noodle lover's cravings. The Mermaid Beach location is particularly appealing since it's just a short stroll from the beach.
