Asian fusion restaurant
If you're looking for a unique and intimate spot with stunning views, Lunsjes is the perfect place for you. With a fusion of Chinese and European dishes, it's hard to go wrong. Expert wine knowledge and delicious beer selections make this place a must-visit for any food lover!
We had an amazing experience overall. The food was flavourful and tasted very fresh. The owner was very attentive and the waitress was very good at explaining the dishes and tea pairing. A highlight for me were the dumplings and crispy pecking duck. The service is unpretentious and personal. They accommodated a food allergy last minute even though I had forgotten to put it in the reservation. They also remembered I put as a comment in the reservation that it was the birthday of someone at our table and they had a lovely attention. The best part is the price-quality: you can beat €49 for 5 courses in Antwerp. We will definitely be back!

I had an absolutely delightful dining experience at Lunsjes! This cozy, charming restaurant offers the perfect mix of traditional Belgian cuisine and modern touches. From the moment we entered, we were greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that immediately made us feel at home. The menu offers a fantastic variety of dishes, and the quality of the ingredients was clear from the first bite. I tried the stoofvlees (Flemish beef stew), and it was rich, flavorful, and tender, served with perfectly crispy fries. My dining companion had the mussels, which were incredibly fresh and packed with flavor. Each dish felt like a comforting, home-cooked meal with just the right amount of refinement. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, taking the time to explain the dishes and offer recommendations. The wine list was well-curated, and we enjoyed a local Belgian wine that paired beautifully with our meals.

absolutely amazing experience! the food was perfect, cocktails great and wine pairings flawless. the service was some of the nicest I’ve ever received, the owner is a lovely man!

We enjoyed the food very much. We took the 5 course menu and the complementary wine and tea and it was amazing, especially the Jin Xuan (Milk Oolong) tea! They are also very friendly and the service was top!! Would recommend!!
Giulia L — Google review
I had high expectations.. and it didn't disappoint! The owner is absolutely a conqueror, the Chinese side of the cuisine is high level and impossible to find elsewhere in Antwerp for sure and the wine selection is also great!
Rita V — Google review
What an amazing experience we had at Lunsjes! Great mix of Azian and European food in the menu, all prepared in a sharing concept, which I can really appreciate. Th wines fitted the dishes perfectly, and were always brought by one of the chefs. Great and friendly service! Would 100% recommend.
Vincent M — Google review
Experiencing different wine pairings with fusion/Asian food is very interesting. Recommend to try wine pairing. The host can introduce very well to all of wine you drink☺️. Lovely night.
Charlyn H — Google review
Excellent tapas-style sharing dishes with unique and amazing flavors. The owners manage perfectly to mix familiar Asian and European recipes with their own custom and original flavor profiles to achieve something so fantastic that is as wonderful to taste as it is unique. Lunsjes' host Nick will be your guide throughout your food journey, and a wonderful one at that. Ask away about certain flavor accomodations or options for a dish, and he will gladly do his best to make your experience unforgettable. Beware though; get him started about wine and you'll end up learning more about wine and your own taste profile, than at the average sommelier course. Set in what is one of the most beautiful modern interiors in any restaurant in Antwerp, Lunsjes is highly recommended and will have you craving for more.

Nestled in a charming botanic garden, Het Gebaar is a renowned dining establishment led by the talented chef Roger van Damme. The restaurant boasts a Michelin star and is celebrated for its exquisite culinary offerings, including savory delights like the highly recommended steak tartare and an array of delectable pastries and desserts. Roger's expertise as both a chef-patissier and star chef shines through in the visually stunning and technically sophisticated dishes that grace the menu.
Had a super memorable experience with the food here. The flavours were neither too bland nor too overpowering. Everything was balanced and the wine pairings worked well too.

Nice and cozy atmosphere, delicious small dishes, with delicious flavours. The lunch menu offers a diversity of small dishes, pairing nicely together. Would have loved a glass of wine together with the meal, unfortunately only the bottle option was available.

Our 3rd time at the restaurant and it remains amazing! Food and wine are delicious and of course everything is beautiful. Staff is also also attentive and helpful. Highly recommended!

You must try the Collector dessert box because it gives you 3 of Van Dammen’s signature dishes in one. The level of details and the combination of flavor and texture is mind blowing. Hands down the best dessert I have had. They even give you a little booklet detailing the recipes for the 3 dessert components.
TC Z — Google review
Nice lunchtime restaurant in a park in the centre of Antwerp. It may have a Michelin star but it is a very relaxed restaurant. The service is a little inattentive and slow, the restaurant is small with oversized tables making it feel a squeezed (we were wedged between two larger tables which made me feel a little uncomfortable). I'm not sure the food is considered fine dining because the starter was a panini (although nice). I had a very nice steak and the amount of work that went into the vegetables was apparent but I felt that it was more of a statement from the chef rather than an enhancement to the dish. The deserts were very impressive but at around 25 Euro each were very expensive and a little overpriced. I enjoyed the food and experience but if I came here again I would sit on the outside terrace with a light lunch and a bottle of wine rather than eating in the restaurant.

Amazing combination of the goose liver with steak which also had various combination of veg finely placed around it like an art work. However a little high on price but everything are worth it

Hoffy's Restaurant & Take Away is a popular dining spot located in the vibrant Zuid district of Antwerp, Belgium. This casual and budget-friendly eatery is beloved by both locals and tourists for its generous servings of traditional Belgian dishes such as stoofvlees stew, meatballs, and schnitzel. Additionally, Hoffy's offers a wide selection of Ashkenazi delicacies including fish and meat dishes, soups, and vegetarian options.
Amazing food! Fresh! Family owned. Wonderful service and people. This is my new favorite restaurant in the World! So good… that we may have eaten here 3 days in a row.
Kristen W — Google review
Food was delicious, fresh, real authentic Jewish European food like my Mother used to make. At first I thought it was pricey but when I saw the portion size it all made sense. I couldn't eat up so the owners packed it up and vacuumed packed it with more sides at no extra cost. The next day we enjoyed the supper on the Authoban in Germany where there was no Kosher food available.

We truly felt at home at Hoffy’s. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff made us feel very comfortable. The food was absolutely delicious — every dish was full of flavor and prepared with great care. Thank you very much for the wonderful experience!

This is a fabulous place. They are very patient and kind to introduce their food and if you are taking away, their packing service is really outstanding. Each dish they recommended is very yummy.

My first time in Antwerp. I was looking for authentic European food like my mother used to cook. I found Hoffy's. Delicious food Excellent service beautiful atmosphere large portions and reasonable priced. I would give them 10 stars but unfortunately there are only 5.

A Taste of Home in Antwerp Dinner at Hoffy’s was an unforgettable experience—it truly felt like coming home. The food was outstanding: perfectly prepared kugels, comforting kasha, tender sole, flavorful salmon, and desserts that were absolutely out of this world. The owner was incredibly gracious, personally checking in on guests and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The experience starts at the deli counter, where you order from a generous selection of traditional dishes. The staff is happy to offer suggestions, and then your meal is brought to your table piping hot. It’s a family-oriented place with heart—and we’ll definitely be back.

Hoffy’s is a must stop to get an excellent meal in a very convivial place. Choice is large, gefilte fish is one of the tastiest one I have been given to taste. I highly recommend !

Japanese restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Nationalestraat, OKOZ Antwerp is a trendy street food haven that embraces a minimalist Japanese aesthetic. While sushi lovers may need to look elsewhere, this charming spot specializes in okonomiyaki—a delightful savory pancake packed with fresh vegetables. The menu also features mouthwatering options like Wagyu burgers and mochi ice cream, making it a perfect destination for those seeking comforting Japanese fare.
The waitstaff were very kind and attentive, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The ambiance was pleasant and relaxing, perfect for an evening meal. The food was absolutely excellent – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Highly recommend!
Georgiana R — Google review
I rarely ever leave negative reviews — in fact, this is the very first time. I usually try to see the good side of things, but unfortunately, this experience left me with real disappointment. We had a reservation at 8pm, and from the very beginning, things felt off. We waited 15 minutes just to receive the menus, which was already unusual. Later, after ordering one starter and two main courses, only one main course was brought to the table. At first we thought the second dish was simply delayed, but after another 15 minutes we asked, only to be told (after yet another wait) that the server had misunderstood and thought we had ordered only one dish. Mistakes happen — that’s not the problem. What shocked me is how it was handled afterwards. When we asked if they could still prepare the missing main, we were told it would take 20 minutes — which we accepted without issue. But then, the chef decided it was no longer possible since it was “the end of service.” So we were left with one starter and one main to share between two people, as if this was completely normal. No alternative offered, no gesture of goodwill, no real apology — simply the suggestion that nothing could be done. It is such a shame, because the food itself was very good, truly high quality. But the way the situation was managed was baffling, and it felt as if the responsibility was quietly shifted onto us. To sit in a restaurant, pay, and leave with half a meal is an experience I never imagined possible. A restaurant can make mistakes, but what defines its value is how those mistakes are handled. Here, unfortunately, the answer was: not at all. And for that reason, I will not be returning.
Asma K — Google review
New spot that I visited with two of my colleagues for a business dinner. It was a bit crowded and a bit casual for my liking, but I will tell you the food was delicious. I have had sushi all over the world and this place was no exception. It was very good. We’d ordered a dragon roll. A rainbow roll spicy tuna roll and quite a few other dishes and each one was very tasty. I would say it was a bit confusing the way they presented the sushi because we were sitting with someone who was allergic to shellfish and they put the rolls too close to ones that had selfish. That was the only complaint. I’d go back here again.
J. D — Google review
One of the best okonomiyaki I've ever had however sushi was just fine, nothing special!
Teena F — Google review
My Girlfriend and I were at Okoz this evening. We were welcomed very friendly and ordered Edamame, Sushi and Wagyu. The Food were fantastic. An absolute 10 out of 10.
Antonio S — Google review
I went back when it first opened and now some years later. I didnt like their okonomiyaki, but now it seems they changed up their concept and also included sushi and other dishes. So i gave it another try. Its still really a restaurant that focusses on the looks of the dishes. But the taste is still great. So it means they probably changed their chef. Because I had the unagi handroll and the steamed buns. And all tasted really great. I will be back a next time to try the okonomiyaki again and other dishes.
Elke E — Google review
Super nice people and calm but lively atmosphere (autistic people will definitely enjoy it). I liked the food, it's a little bit on expensive side but nothing too crazy and it's definitely worth it.bYou'll definitely have an awesome experience, interesting new flavors, great service and chefs are open to opinions and whole staff have great sense of humor :) i will definitely come back to try some more food! Also when i came in i got free spicy tuna bite. The flavors are very strong so i would advise to get matcha (and wait with it until food come) to counter it. It goes well together :D
Paweł B — Google review
Great to get to eat okonomaki again after trying in Japan. They also did a vegetarian version, off menu, for my wife which was great. We also enjoyed the cold house Sake, and sweet apple gyoza for dessert. Friendly service. Definitely one you need to book for.

Roji is a unique fusion restaurant located in the heart of Antwerp's Old Town, housed in a 13th-century monastery. The cozy and intimate atmosphere is enhanced by warm colors, dimmed lighting, wooden furniture, and a playful fireplace. Renowned for its exceptional sushi and cocktails that perfectly complement the food, Roji offers an unforgettable dining experience. The underground setting, designed by Axel Vervoort, provides a perfect spot to enjoy cocktails all night long.
We really loved the food, atmosphere and the service. We took seats at the sushi bar inside the restaurant. The food is super tasty and cooked right in front of us with experienced chefs. Quality 🍣 👌🏾🤤 We didn't make a reservation but got the seats. It's recommended to make a reservation though as the place was almost full for a Friday evening.

After a long time we decided to head back to Roji, this time with our kids. It was amazing; the ambiance, food & drinks and friendliness were on point. The sushi as well as the meat dishes are well prepared. Be sure to start the evening at the fire place with a cocktail!

Loved every minute, was my birthday present from my children, best Sushi 🍣 in years, very laid back atmosphere, super service, great venue.

You will first be charmed by the authentic feel of the old underground restaurant. The fire place was a surprise addition to our romantic night out. The drinks are on point, refreshing tasty and pair nicely with the food. The food was delicious and fresh, the waiters are friendly and helpful!

Very good food in a nice and cozy setting. The fireplace brings a lovely mood when dining here. Staff is very fris my and helpful. They will explain everything for you and present it with care. The cocktails are lovely and tasty. Finger food is lovely presented and just the right amount. The sushi's are made with care and you taste all the ingredients are carefully chosen and fresh. The dessert was a lovely lava cake and ginger sorbet ice cream. Overall, very good and lovely place!

Awesome place to eat, old middle-age cellar great atmosphere and cozy. We were welcomed pleasantly, we gave our coats and they escorted us to our table. On the table there a QR code you scan to access the menu for food / drinks. They provide you acces to their WiFi cause reception is kinda bad. Then they leave you, after a while they'll come and ask if you've chosen and what we will be drinking. We choose 5 course menu and before we stated on the menu wa orders 2 dishes of fingerfood to enjoy with our cocktail.... The food is 100% excellent ...if you like Japanese kitchen please do yourself the favor of eating here ..service was great , always helpfull, and with a smile...i'd rate this 10/5 if I could ...this is our new monthly spot ...both my wife and myself had nothing to criticise ...it just worked ...

The setting, the atmosphere, the food, everything about this place is beyond top-notch. The maitre d is incredibly welcoming and makes you feel right at home in this medieval dungeon in a way that it becomes more cozy than your bed on a Sunday. I highly recommend starting your meal with a cocktail since they are exquisite. I tasted 8 by now and every single one is better than the last. No strange shenanigans with absurd presentation, just a cocktail of highly refined taste. And then you get your food. The second time I came here I was very excited when they brought us the plate with sushi. Not just excited, hyped is a better choice for word. It is fresh, refined and perfectly balanced, as all things should be. The waiter was a perfect help in getting us the right amount of sushi, not going too far and never keeping us waiting. It is sushi, so it is not a cheap restaurant, but it is most certainly worth every last euro you will spend here.
Matthias W — Google review
Looking for a unique experience? This place has a great vibe, exquisite food and friendly staff. The reason why I didn't give them 5 stars is the need to train their staff better (serving food before cutlery, how to pour wine, etc). Otherwise, a pure culinary gem.

Cuichine is a high-end restaurant run by Szelim Man and Chuck Tang, who bring a modern twist to Chinese cuisine. The restaurant offers a contemporary setting and is known for its unbeatable lacquered Peking duck, black-footed chicken, wok dishes, and sesame oil dumplings for dessert. Additionally, Cuichine has recently opened Bar Chine, where patrons can enjoy trendy cocktails and small Asian dishes.
One of my favourite restaurants, where I love to come back again and again. The flavours are unique and amazing, blending perfectly together. Each dish is delicious and the 4 course menu is perfect to share with friends, as you can try a bigger variety of dishes. Save place for dessert, it is so worthy. Great selection of wines from all around the world

Lovely restaurant and a great location. We had a set menu and the food was delicious, but were expecting some more originality after reading the reviews. Service was incredibly slow though, only two waiters for a whole restaurant was clearly not enough. One of the waiters was very friendly , the other gave the impression of absolutely not wanting to be there. Not a single smile, not a word spoken. One thing which was a letdown were the drinks : every non alcoholic option was VERY expensive , and the portions very small. So just the drinks alone were €35 per person (again, no alcohol), which is prohibitive. It’s a pity because the food was lovely, but at this price point, there are simply much nicer options in town.

Great place and friendly staff and owner. The duck is special and a must try. The pork and the lobster were delicious as well . A nice wine selection to accompany your food.

This is one of the most difficult reviews I have had to write, because the experience was really mixed. The good: the quality of the seafood and meat was quite good, the tiger prawns were delicious, we took the four course menu, and while dishes didn't really stun us & some sauces were reused between courses, the food itself was generally above average. The bad: between clearing course 2 and serving course 3 we waited around 50-60 minutes. I'm not sure if the kitchen was totally backed up, or if they forgot about us and the table behind us who were on a similar schedule, but this is not really acceptable on a fixed course menu. The service between course 1-2 and 3-4 was quite good / attentive. In the time between course 2-3 we finished our drinks and needed to order more. I was not aware that the ( self-bottled !! ) water is 7.50 euros per bottle **as this is not listed anywhere on the menu**, and if you need a second one because you spend 90 minutes waiting for service during a 3 hour meal, there is no free refill. For perspective, this is more than even Michelin star restaurants I've eaten at have charged. I would have expected a complimentary bottle of water in the case of a delay this bad as a bare minimum, then again maybe it is part of the strategy to make you wait so you will rack up a higher bill on delusionally priced tap water, the price of which you can only see at the end of the meal. Courses -There were edamame beans for the table while we ordered -A mix of dim sum served with tiger prawns + asparagus in oyster sauce -Seabass and crispy pork dishes with a side of bok Choi or similar -lime foam + strawberry sorbet

The chef doesn't really know how to respect food and the rest of staff need to know how to respond to bad comments. I ordered 3-course dinner. Here was what I got in order. The fried cookie from appetizer smells rancid. -1 from 5. Red flag arises. The lemon served with sparking water isn't fresh. Strong smell from the refrigerator. -1 from 5. Second one. The baby corn from pork belly is simply pickled and the chef decided to go with it. The pork is just dry. The vegetable in the main course is catastrophicly over marinated without a hint of freshness. -1 from 5. No one ever served me to fill the water even when passing by. Staff kicked at my chair 3 times while there is 80cm in the aisle and no single guest did the same thing. -1 from 5. When I said I am not happy with the food and the service with this comment, no one came to me until I asked for feedback out of curiosity. The staff said on my face that it's my problem of taste and they are not going to change anything including the overnight lemon saying "it's of course not picked up 3 minutes ago". Excellent. All I want is just proper communication but the head of staff asked me if I need something to compensate with anger on implication that I was the one trying to be difficult. Good enough. -1 from 5.

DIM Dining* is a stylish restaurant located in the heart of Antwerp, specifically on the lively Vrijdagmarkt. Chef Simon Van Dun showcases his culinary expertise by offering a unique dining experience that explores the flavors of Japan using seasonal and high-quality ingredients. The restaurant's interior is modern and serene, providing an intimate atmosphere for guests to enjoy their meal. Additionally, sake sommelier Jonas Kellens enhances the experience with perfectly selected sake pairings.
Really great service. The team was knowledgeable but also knew when a joke was appropriate. We had a lot of fun. The dishes were interesting and fairly unique. It’s a restaurant for real foodies, maybe not ideal if it’s your first time dining at a Michelin started place.

We went to Dim Dining to celebrate our six-year anniversary and had high expectations — and they were completely met. During the dinner, we actually talked about how we’ve been to quite a few fine dining restaurants over the years, but Dim Dining really stood out. We were a bit unsure at first about getting the sake pairing, since we didn’t know anything about sake. In the end, we thought: why not, let’s trust the experts. And that turned out to be a great decision. The female sake sommelier was not only super friendly and enthusiastic, but also incredibly passionate. She really took us on a journey through the world of sake and answered all our questions with joy. It didn’t just feel like drinks with dinner — it added an entirely new dimension to the experience. And then the food: every single dish was perfectly balanced. Everything was flavorful, refined, and creative. Not a single course felt out of place. On top of the 10-course menu, we also got a variety of small bites beforehand and extra desserts afterward — all of it excellent. It’s definitely not a cheap night out, that’s for sure. But it truly felt like money well spent. Everything here just works: the atmosphere, the service, the flavors. Honestly, we don’t understand why this place doesn’t have a second Michelin star.
Julie B — Google review
We had a fantastic dining experience at Dim. Reservations can be tricky, but visiting in August, when it’s typically quieter, worked to our advantage. The 10-course tasting menu is highly recommended—each dish was beautifully presented and full of flavour. We also opted for the tea pairing, which was a lovely addition. The service was exceptional throughout.
Lucas S — Google review
Our visit to DIM was truly phenomenal. We went for the 9-course tasting menu with sake pairing. The service is attentive without being intrusive, they show genuine enthusiasm about the menu and offer an interesting context to go with the food and wine they present. Special mention for Jonas, the sake master, who really sold each Sake pairing fantastically. All amuse-bouches (3) and tasting dishes (9) were beautifully presented and had unique flavors and pairings, heavily leaning on Japanese cuisine. The sake pairing is something we aren't used to, but would absolutely recommend going for. All sakes were perfectly paired with the dishes - some of them were real gems. Since we're not big drinkers, we opted for sharing the pairing, which was perfect for us. All in all, this is easily one of the best dining experiences we've had. We will be back!

Absolutely recommended and a great restaurant to celebrate your most important events. Every dish is perfect, delicious, unusual, wine list and sake list - thanks to the sommelier for every recommendation. We are delighted and glad that we chose your restaurant. Thanks to the whole team!

Incredible experience, very warmly received by the host! Wonderful food, good service, everything was perfect! The Japanese Single Malt Whisky was excellent! We will definitely come back again!

Dining at DIM is taking a journey through Japanese cuisine. Filled with pure yuzu and miso flavours. The plates are pieces of art with delicate flavour mixes. Special shout-out to the lamb, never ate it better in my life. Combine it with delicious wines or surprise yourself with matching sake or even tea! Enjoy

Sichuan restaurant
Ni Shifu Sichuan Cuisine & Fondue restaurant, located near Antwerp's Central Station, offers exceptional value for its authentic Sichuan cuisine. Chef Ni Shifu is renowned for his culinary skills that rival those of top chefs in China. The menu features over 100 regional dishes, with a focus on intense flavors and the abundant use of garlic, chili peppers, and Sichuan pepper.
I’m especially picky about my Chinese food as a person from Hong Kong living in the States, so it was a nice surprise to find this Michelin-recommended restaurant in Antwerp exceeding my expectations in every way! Would recommend making a reservation ahead of time. We came without a booking on a busy Friday at 8pm and were told to come back in 40 mins as the restaurant was full at that point. We were seated promptly when we returned and probably the last few parties to be served that night. Took a star off for service because it was indeed a bit slow (we started eating nearly 1 hr after we sat down; there was only one server working, bless him), but it is understandable as it was towards the end of a very busy night.

Super tasty food! And very friendly staff. Big recommendation! Ordered deep fried pig intestines, pig ears, eggplant and wonton in chili oil.

Probably the best Sichuan restaurant in Belgium. The food is always a delicious and the portions are there despite being a bit pricey. The taste is absolutely very local and strong Sichuan spicy cuisine. The waiter is also very friendly.

+ was good food very tasty 😋 - the service was bad, it took 10 min until we could even get our menus and then we got the wrong drinks and so did the other people. -it took very long until we got our starter
Kim B — Google review
We were with a group of 10. The service was extremely slow and poor. The vegetarian food was mediocre, Actually one of the worst Chinese food. Atmosphere sucked as it was very loud and we had difficulty hearing each other. Lycee cocktail was also not good. Only thing good was the Mango and Pistachio Mochi. They really have to make an effort. Especially as the total bill was quite high.
Health C — Google review
Tasty authentic chinese food with quality ingredients but a bit too expensive.
Koen V — Google review
We went with 6 people for the hoornaert Menu. (80 euro p.p). This menu should be a travel through the flavours of China. Flavours where good but The Service was terrible. After the first two hours we only got 3 dishes. While all the restaurant got plates of food, people even left who came after us and had almost as much food in the End. They forgot our table. Finally, the dim sums came. Nothing special. Some of them where good, but most of them the standards you can find in any Authentic Chinese restaurant. I need to say, the price compared to the service is just TERRIBLE. I know a lot of different Chinese restaurant in town, with the price 50% cheaper as this restaurant, where you can find similar flavours or even better. The food was good, but also not the best Chinese food in Antwerp. I don’t think this restaurant should have this high recommendation as people give them.

I called on Sunday to make a reservation for upcoming Saturday for my mother’s birthday. They called me one day before to tell me they’re not open. It could not have been more last-minute and finding a new restaurant for 8 people on the weekends is not a gift either. Bad communication and have not even tried their food.
Felicia T — Google review
We selected the dim sum menu and were not disappointed. The service was friendly and fast enough. The dim sums were really tasty. My preferred ones were the duck, the meatballs with mushrooms and the shrimp ones. as deserte we shared the wild rice with vanillla ice cream and the black sesame and vanilla pudding balls. Both were tasty. Will come back for more.

Great atmosphere, mediocre food, exorbitant prices. The Japanese noodles were nice, but the gyozas were atrocious. The home made iced tea was nice too, but ridiculously sweet. Also the portions were too small for what you pay for. All in all, I don't think we'll be visiting again.
Bartu G — Google review
This placed looked great in pictures, that made me decide that I should visit. The ambience, the decor, the service, the presentation was all great but the taste of the food, unfortunately it was just okay. The reviews and the pictures posted on the internet are just next level but in reality the good was just okay. I ordered a gyoza mix, it was cold by the time it was served. The dan dan noodles, I ordered them for the Schezwan peppers, unfortunately there was no trace of it and the noodles were dry. The Japanese bowl with crispy orange chicken also turned to be okay, the person who ordered it left it without finishing it. I know my food and I know when something tastes great. 😉 This one visit was enough for me.

A delightful Asian restaurant in Antwerp. They serve some of the best dim sum in town, fried and steamed. Their buns are also really good and they have some nice original cocktails. The also have decent wine by the glass. We have always received very kind service of the staff, which is generally good and fast enough. The main room is a bit small, but they have more space in the back. They also have a large terrace. The location is the buzzy and trendy south, which joyful atmosphere is extended inside. They also have a good take-out menu.
Siegfried B — Google review
The fried gyozas are extremely good & soo crispy. I had the bibimbap which was pretty rice heavy compared to all the other ingredients. The egg on top was raw, which I personally don't love either but it was fine after mixing it in since it's served in a still-hot cast iron pan. 100% worth it just for the starters!

Table d'Ho is a delightful culinary gem that brings the vibrant flavors of Korean cuisine to life. Founded by Chef San-Ho Correwyn, who pursued his passion for sharing traditional Korean dishes, this establishment has evolved from a beloved food truck into a charming restaurant in Antwerp. While many may associate Korean food with barbecue, Table d'Ho offers an extensive menu that showcases the unique blend of Japanese presentation and Chinese spices.
This was my first Korean diner experience. I can wholeheartedly say that this won't be my last time either! From the inspiring styling of the establishment to the great food and the super friendly staff. They ask if this is your first time and help you with explaining the ingredients and how to eat them as it should. The food itself was of very high quality and seasoned to perfection. I tried the Korean grill as a first, but will come back later for all the other dishes on the menu. Please visit Table d'Ho if you like asian cuisine. If not, do come as well and be amazed 😉.

Nice place and great food, i really enjoyed the side dishes. We enjoyed our lunch, we started to eat very fast, but had to wait a bit to clean up the table and order desert. Not that i mind, but if you have a meeting planned afterwards, make sure to plan enough time or skip on the desert.

It is worthy for visiting if you like Korean BBQ, and they also have plenty of choices for other korean food and lots of options for drinks. It’s better to do reservations because it’s always full, and they have a few of outdoor seats to choose.

Friendly service, cosy setting. The food was excellent, but we didn't feel full when we left, which was a bit disappointing. Maybe the portions are more substantial in the evening. Definitely ask for their spicy sauce, it's delicious. Their kimchi is incredible (you can buy some to take home!), as is the salted caramel dessert.
C N — Google review
Diner was okay. Friendly Korean staff. Tabel grill over priced. 32 EUR p.p The rest of the food okay. You have CAS beer and soju Peach. We had a low Korean style table. Toilet was clean.
Ralph K — Google review
Food was excellent. We had the mixed starters and think the pancakes really stood out. As main we enjoyed the Wagyu beef. The kimchi was excellent, rather salty that sour and accompanied the food with maekju (beer+soju). Only the chairs could be more comfortable.
Anna-Katharina H — Google review
I've visited here lots of times, and it's a little gem in the neighborhood. The food is fantastic and the atmosphere is lively. The menu is simple, but you can ask the staff for help. Our group had a starter to share and a main each. You get a lot of small little side dishes with the main, and it's not spicy. It's not expensive either, and the staff look after you, especially the owner. A small negative is that it's only open a few days a week (I think Thursday to Saturday), and you need to book in advance. Apart from that, it's a superb restaurant.

Minato is a hidden gem in Antwerp, offering an authentic Japanese dining experience. The restaurant is known for its speak-easy vibe and is helmed by Ishizawa Naohito, delivering a wide variety of traditional Japanese dishes. Visitors praise the authenticity of the sushi, sashimi, donburi, and other staples. The unagi and salmon don are particularly recommended for their freshness and succulence.
Luckily we reserved a table :) We enjoyed several plates, each one of them took us back to Japan. There were even a few Japanese patrons (always a good sign). The tempura vegetables, the seaweed, the natto temaki (hand roll sushi), which I topped with the Sapporo beer and the warm Sake all were delicious. We finished it all with a Matcha ice cream with red bean paste. We did our best to order in Japanese (with success). The service was Japanese-style friendly, helpful and fast.

An authentic Japanese restaurant with incredible flavors—you can really taste the quality of the ingredients, from the fresh fish to the perfectly cooked rice. Every bite reminded me of my time in Japan! To top it off, the bean paste dessert was absolutely delicious. I was beyond satisfied with the food and overall experience. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Authentic sushis without unnecessary sauces. Unagi is my top recommendation as it's so succulent and it melts in my mouth. Secondly is the salmon don, you can tell its really fresh and every bite takes you back to Japan! Sukiyaki is also really tasty, it warms you up^^ ごちそうさまでした!!

After our holiday in Japan, we’d been looking for an authentic Japanese restaurant but unfortunately hadn’t come across one. Until we were recommended Minato. Japanese restaurant
Nestled next to the Museum of Fine Arts, Yamato Belgium is a charming restaurant that offers an authentic taste of Japanese street food in Antwerp. Run by a delightful Japanese woman and her Belgian husband, this cozy spot has recently reopened and remains somewhat of a hidden gem. The decor transports you straight to Japan, creating an immersive dining experience that makes you forget you're in Belgium.
Charming restaurant offering authentic Japanese street food. If you’re used to only sushi, don’t shy away from this place simply because they don’t have it. Their selection and execution of Japanese street food is on point. We were so pleased to have discovered this place that we ordered almost half of their menu (we didn’t get to take a lot of pictures sadly because we were too excited to eat). We got the seafood okonomiyaki and it’s best one we’ve ever had in Belgium! The tako karaage (fried octopus), takoyaki (octopus balls) and gyoza (we got duck dumplings) were to die for. We also got shrimp tempura, wakame (seaweed salad) and edamame for starters and they were authentic. For cocktails, we got the recommended umeshu (plum liqueur) which was amazing. It was sweet and sour, and went great with the food. They also have ramune (Japanese softdrink) which is great since the regular grocery stores in Antwerp don’t usually have it. For dessert, we got the yuzu cheesecake (great if you like lemon tarts) and the dorayaki akazuki (pancake with red beans). Everything was so good! The place is a lot more spacious than what you’d think if you were only looking from outside. The inside has 20 seats actually. Cozy interiors. The couple who owns the place are very friendly. Mad props to the lady chef for her awesome dishes. The service was really quick too even when they’re packed! They also do takeaways. Very highly recommended! 10 out of 5 stars!

I am very happy to find a Japanese restaurant serving okonomiyaki and takoyaki! The chef is very friendly and the dining environment is also nice. Also there are plenty of dessert options. Overall the dishes and dessert are above average, quite closed to what I had in Japan. If you wanna try some Japanese food other than Sushi, it is the place to go.
YU-HSUAN W — Google review
Owner/chef was super nice! Spoke great English. Loved talking about Japan and experience there... was fun to share locations and chat! Food was very good! Gyoza were delicious. I like my okonomiaki less doughy. These were a little thick. We are used to a thinner batter with more cabbage than dough. But very tasty! The soundtrack playing took us right back to summertime in Japan ❤️ cicada sounds and all 🇯🇵

Highly recommended Japanese restaurant in Antwerp! Everything was perfect. The food was amazing. The interiors feel like you're in Japan literally. Even the toilet is so Japanese! If you've been to Japan you'll know what I mean if you visit the toilet here. ;) The prices are quite decent and owner is very friendly as well. Overall this place is amazing and we are looking forward to visiting again.

A hidden gem 💎 in Antwerp zuid! Went to this place in the evening a while ago. I was looking for nice place to celebrate an anniversary and all was booked out or I couldn’t bring my baby girl 👶 And oh my so happy that we came here! The place is bigger than it looks. The decor brings you in Japan and you forget you are in Antwerp. The chef/manager was such a great helpful guy! He setup the place himself after being a few years in Japan and he has done a top job at it. With love, care and great attention to detail to emerge you in a japan experience. We took several meals all super tasty 😋 and very special. Check the pictures to have an idea💡 You visit the place with friends n family or have a nice business lunch in tranquility.

Simply delicious. When in Antwerp you should definitely try this Japanese style Izakaya restaurant as the dishes are awesome. Some of the dishes like the okonomiyaki are really tasty but their take on combining octopus and karaage (sorry probably butchered some dishes) is too good to pass up! We will be coming back soon;)

The karaage is really juicy. The gyudon is really tasty. Friendly services. I think the price is reasonable. Restaurant Qin is a delightful culinary gem nestled near Antwerp's central station, easily accessible through the Keyser hotel. This charming spot specializes in refined Cantonese cuisine, with an impressive focus on presentation and flavor. During my visit, I indulged in their dim sum selection and was thoroughly impressed by the variety of tastes and textures. The cozy atmosphere is complemented by friendly service that adds to the overall experience.
If you’re in Antwerp and looking for a tasty meal, Restaurant Qin is a must-visit. The barbecue pork was perfectly tender with just the right amount of sweetness, but it is a tad dry while the shumai and dumplings were a delightful bite, filled with savory goodness. Thai restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Antwerp's Chinatown, Siam Senses is a delightful hidden gem that perfectly encapsulates the essence of authentic Thai street food. This charming little eatery, with just four tables, transports diners straight to the bustling streets of Bangkok. The menu features an array of mouthwatering dishes like spicy pork salad and red curry with bamboo, all crafted with fresh ingredients that truly shine.
Perfect original Thai food. Papaya salade was amazing. Soup & curry were the best we had outside Thailand. We will definitely come back! Keep up the good work!!! Small cosy place with perfect service and a mama who brought her cooking secrets from Thailand.
Jacinta C — Google review
it is a nice but not too fancy place. the tables are somewhat wonky which makes eating a bit unpleasant. aside from that the food is very nice, thai food. a thing i found less about this place is the fact that the portions are quite small compared to the other asian restaurants in this street. i took 1 plate which did not fill me as a regular plate would although it is advertised as a good portion. i think that threw me off because you pay €15~ for a dish that does not manage to fill you up.
Dots — Google review
Both the red curry and the green curry that my wife and I enjoyed today were truly superb, perhaps as good as any we’ve had in our combined five months in Thailand. We also ordered a pad Thai, to share, and while it was tasty, the noodles were not the typical noodles used any time we’ve had this dish in the past. Otherwise it was tasty, but wouldn’t warrant five stars if it a-line were being judged. The decor in this small restaurant is minimal and seating is sparse, so come early for lunch or dinner as it seems to fill up quickly; every time we’ve passed by it seems quite full.
Reginald W — Google review
Located right at the gate of Antwerp’s Chinatown, Siam Senses is a Thai food temple disguised as a hole-in-the-wall. But don’t let the humble looks fool you: what’s served here would make half of Bangkok cry nostalgic tears. That is… if it’s actually open. The place has opening hours that feel like performance art—kitchen closes at 20:30 sharp, and you’ll need a bit of luck (or divination skills) to catch them between extended winter breaks and "closed for personal reasons" days. Their last "short winter break" lasted a modest seven months. Respect. But when those doors do open—hallelujah. This is hands down the most authentic Thai food I’ve had anywhere in Europe. The Kuay Tieuw Rua Moo (Ayutthaya-style boat noodles with fresh pig blood—yes, really) is a life-changer. If you’re squeamish, grow up. If you're not, order two. Also, their Som Tam (green papaya salad) doesn’t play around. It’s as spicy as you dare, and then some. The kind of salad that stares back and asks: “You sure about that, falang?” The place is tiny, more street-food stall than restaurant, and run by a Belgian guy and his Thai in-laws—basically the Euro-Thai Avengers of noodle perfection. Prices are fair, flavours are unfairly good. Just don’t try showing up on a Monday. Or Sunday. Or too late. Or without checking your horoscope.

We walked in without a reservation on a Saturday evening. The place is tiny and very casual, but the food is very good. Authentic tastes and the spiciness of the dishes can be adjusted to your personal tastes. You can have an appetizer, a main course and a drink for just under 25 euros, so price-qualitywise more than fair. Only downside: it closes at 8 PM. Perfect for a quick but tasty bite!
Kora-Lee — Google review
I see a lot of positive reviews, so we might just have been unlucky, because our visit gets a one star review. We had to wait for almost an hour on our food, while the restaurant is very small. When asked about the waiting time, the man wasn't very friendly. I order the shrimp soup and it tasted very intens and sour. I ate half of it because I was hungry, but did not like it at all. When getting home I had such trouble with my stomach and felt extremely nauseous. I would not go back to this restaurant. Very unfortunate...

If you're on the hunt for a delightful culinary experience in Antwerp, look no further than GAO Dumpling. This charming dumpling bar has made its way from Copenhagen to the vibrant Zurenborg neighborhood, bringing with it an array of mouthwatering Asian street food. Specializing in dumplings, GAO Dumpling offers a menu that also features delicious noodle soups and enticing sides.
SUPER tasty dumplings! So glad we decided to give it a try! The chicken and pork were both delicious and that hot chilli dipping oil is heavenly. could have eaten that on its own. The spicy pork actually comes with a lot of the hot chilli sauce so it’s not really necessary to get a separate one, unless you order more. The mango lemonade was good but I would rather get more dumplings instead! Definitely want to try their new location as well as their other specials. I also hope they hire someone else as the guy working there seemed so overloaded with orders. He did a great job given the workload. GAO is a must try for sure.

It’s been a while that I wanted to visit GAO, and couldn’t be more satisfied. Friendly and polite staff, the area around (the little square) was super vibrant and very family oriented environment. Nice for a late evening snack and couple drinks. Dumpling is made very carefully and the side dishes complement the flavor.

Do not miss this place! The most delicious buns I’ve had. Full of flavour , fresh . I’m already planning my next visit!

We came here around 6.30 on a weekday after being refused by a neighboring restaurant which was fully booked. Lucky for us because GAO Dumpling welcomed us with open arms. Delicious dumplings, surprising flavor combinations, quick service, easy ordering process, great drinks and most of all 5* staff. Definitely not the last time we ate here.

I’ve been to GAO Dumpling at Dageraadplaats several times now, and it never disappoints! The dumplings are always incredibly tasty, juicy, fresh, and full of flavor. Every dish is beautifully presented and packed with quality ingredients. The staff are consistently warm and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. I’m literally stuffed and satisfied every single time. A real go-to spot in Zurenborg!

Tofu with Mayo was really good and very unique in the way Gao cooked. However, the dumplings were small and quite average in taste. Can't really taste the broth that I was looking forward for Xiao Long Bao.

Great noodles. The menu excists out of three things: Noodle soup, a side and dumplings. I recommend you get one of all three since they complete each other. There is a spicy and non spicy soup, 2 cold and 3 hot sides and around 6 different dumplings. I loved the atmosphere and every plate tasted amazing!

Dumplings were below par. Taste was off and they were pretty cold. The peanut noodle soup thing was even worse. You get the same, if not better, quality buying frozen, I’d stick to that.
