We came here for brunch and grabbed a table outside, which was lovely. Our waitress was super friendly and quick to help us out, so service definitely gets points. The food, though, was a bit of a letdown. Portions were tiny, and the flavors didn’t really wow us, especially for what they charge. For the price, we were expecting something a lot more memorable.

Amazing brunch place. I ordered eggs benedict with salmon 3 years ago and today, and it's still very good. Friendly staff and cozy environment on top of that.

I went here for breakfast on an early morning. The staff greeted me rightaway, very helpful and friendly. I got the croissant with scrambled eggs and bacon, it’s quite tasty. The atmosphere was also very cosy. On top of that , they make good coffees!

The egg Benedict was 19 euros. But it was very small portion. Literally I finished with 2 min. I need to have another breakfast.

Even with reservation, they made us wait 20 min for our table, extremely bad coffee at a high price and even higher price for plantbased milk (€0,80). Bad start to the meal, one slice of not toasted toast, but generous in toppings. Tasted good! Average lunch spot, but not worth the high prices, way better options available. It was giving low quality sandwich spot.

Amazing food and drinks with many different options. Great for different diets like gluten and lactose as well as vegetarian or vegan. Not the cheapest place but you do get good portions.

I was in a hurry to catch a train this time, so I didn’t stay long, but I’d love to come back if I get the chance.

The wait is worth it! Although we had to wait for a bit, once seated it was a lovely experience. The menu is amazing, impossible to choose just one thing. Attention to lush presentation here does not overshadow the spectacular flavors. Cannot wait to go back and try more. Pancakes sell out early! Amazing coffee too.

They open at 8am which suits breakfast seeker. The good rating led us here and we ordered their signature ‘Tinsel Pancake’ and Tinsel Hotdog’ which both were equally good. Good meals always able to cheer us up.

The food was alright (nothing as special as many reviews say). The pancake was a bit dry and the curry chicken in not so vegan was a bit too salty. Portions are decent. For the price, the food quality was disappointing. Also, they charge five euros for a bottle of filtered water (from the tap).

In my top 3 breakfasts ever! So delicious and innovative yet wholesome and filling. Recommend the Ginger orange sodas, vegan Croque and of course the amazing pancakes. Sunday morning is very quiet in Antwerp but this is one of the gems that opens early ✨ a must visit

I had the special eggs with the pea basil sauce and added the grilled salmon. + Buratta salad was so good. A very satisfying and tasty brunch :)

Was only here to grab a drink in the afternoon so can’t comment on the food. It’s a nice spot to catch up with friends. Had the matcha yuzu and it was just ok. Felt a little bit expensive for what it is in my opinion.

Aldo is a clean and neat bakery with a large selection of pastries and bread. However, parking can be an issue as there are no dedicated spots nearby. I tried the pain au chocolat, baguette, crème Joël, almond croissant, and pistachio roll. The baguette is smaller than usual but has a nice crunch. The pain au chocolat looks beautiful with distinct layers, but it lacks the crisp, flaky texture that makes it perfect. The almond croissant has a great flavor, while the crème koek is also tasty and has crunchier layers than the pain au chocolat. The pistachio roll, however, could use a stronger pistachio flavor as it tastes a bit bland. The service was friendly, but one downside was the hygiene. The staff handled the pastries and bread with bare hands, then touched the cash register and money without using tongs or gloves. This is a major point of concern for me. Overall, Aldo offers a nice variety of baked goods with some great flavors.

The pastries are freshly and perfectly made, flaky and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Highly recommend trying and patronizing this bakery!

The quality and prices are great. Please consider changing your packaging for pastries and koffiekoeken, or otherwise warn customers to bring their own boxes. My pistachio-strawberry koffiekoek was packed in an open, flimsy container and a paper bag. By the time I got home (a 7-minute walk), the cream was smeared all over the bag, and the koffiekoek looked unappetizing.

Amazing to find a bakery that actually bake themselves ON SITE. Not an industrial derivative. Friendly personell. Best bread I've tried from a bakery in Antwerp, will for sure return. Big bonus for me that they have Cinnamon knots on top!

So so so good, it is absolutely the best croissant I ever had in Antwerp. It’s so delicious the croissant with cream and the almond croissant It’s so so so tasty, I can’t describe how good it is. I suggest everybody go there to try at least once the croissant is just amazing! I’m so sad that I’ve been living here in the area for like four years, but I have only discovered this place for like just yesterday, but finally I found it this is going to be my favourite bakery ever!

Hands down the best in town for the sourdough bread. A lot of choice and very tasty. The service perhaps could be better but other than that a very recommended bakery for the people that think out of the box.

I don’t usually leave reviews but I had to for this place. Hands down the best chocolate croissant and cinnamon twist bun I’ve ever had. The French toast berry thing was mind blowing and the berry roll was out of this world. My entire life has been a pointless exercise in banality until now. You will find me unkempt and scruffy in my hometown, grabbing strangers by the scruff and yelling in their face, “they had French toast with berries literally infused into it!”

I love places where a very simple meal hits you well up. We had soft boiled egg and loved the way it was served.

Extremely slow and disappointing service. We ordered coffee, mimosas, and breakfast - and after quite a while, not even the coffee had arrived. When I followed up, they seemed confused and disorganized. Eventually, we got the coffee and mimosas, but part of the breakfast never came. I asked to just pay for what was served, and they said they'd check with the person who took the order... and never came back. I had really looked forward to this visit, but it turned out to be a frustrating experience.

10/10 recommend! The staff is so friendly, the food arrived quickly with amazing taste and quality. I appreciate a restaurant that’s consistent in the delicious food they deliver. You won’t be disappointed!

Love the chain generally for its lovely bakery, but this has been my worst experience for any Pain Quotidien cafe yet. Been there twice, lots of chaos and long waiting although there was almost nobody there. Maybe they had some temporary problems.

Have pop in twice now, once for breakfast 2nd time for light lunch. On both occasions food was very good. Their breads are exceptional.

Hands down the best falafel spot in Belgium!! It’s a vegetarian place serving authentic falafels and hummus. The falafel, pita bread and hummus is prepared inhouse and tastes delicious. Ingredients are very fresh and the taste is further elevated when you have it with the complimentary dips (love their green chilli variant). The staff is really warm and is ready to help you customise your order according to your preference. The place is really affordable and I would highly recommend anyone in Antwerp or outside to check it out

We ordered two soups. The jain soup and vegetable soup are the same soup base (tomato with spices) . Just different vegetables. Both are too salty for my taste. Hummus salad: tasted normal. The pita bread was warm. A bonus point. The latke was very disappointing. They refried it and burned it around the edges. The whole thing looked dark. Inedible and too greasy. I saw the latkes at the cashier and they looked better Boureka: I tried the spinach and cheese one. It's lumpy., so i guess it was just heated up in the microwave. Taste would have been better if it was warmed up in the oven. The accompanying dipping sauces to the hummus salad were tasty though. I finished the pita soaking up the sauces. For the price I paid, I think the food quality should be higher.

Great place to grab a cheap(for Antwerp) filling and fresh meal. Not the best falafel I’ve ever eaten but was perfectly tasty. Amazing service- lady was rushed off her feet but still smiling and food was fast.

Friendly service. Nice atmosphere. We went for the falafel with the works on beni bread and a latke. As a whole it was a good meal and a pleasant experience. If I were to zoom in on the falafel balls, they were nice, but not the best I’ve had. They were a bit tan, bland and starchy – I missed the green color and taste of fresh herbs. The condiments made up for that though! Would visit again!

Tasty food, but service could be improved We visited Beni Falafel and enjoyed several dishes. The hummus falafel was amazing—flavorful and satisfying. We also tried the falafel balls with hummus and the regular falafel, which the kids absolutely loved. The fresh carrot juice was a nice touch—refreshing and natural. However, the soup was a bit too salty for my taste, and unfortunately, the service was really slow. Overall, great food, but be prepared to wait a little.

Amazing.. best falafel I ever had.. must have when in Antwerp.. orange and carrot mix juice is a must try too.. also the paprika (bell peppers not at all spicey) toast.. everything here is yummy to your tummy experience..

I always go here to get falafel, latkes and burekas and has never disappointed before. I have never eaten inside this restaurant, i always get take out and eat it at home. The staff is nice when i go there to order/pick up and the service is relatively quick considering it can get quite busy here.

Their quinoa salad is excellent: vegan, gluten free and wonderful diversity of tasty veggies. It would be nice, though, if there were more gluten free options that were also vegan.

Loved the cosy interior, the food was delicious and very filling, staff is very friendly and helpful. I had a mushroom 'wurger' which came with a side of coleslaw and I think this is the first time I ever finished an entire side salad because it was so tasty! We added sweet potato fries with a heavenly truffle dip to share, which was plenty for 2 people. Bonus points for giving a choice of milk type for milky drinks, I chose oat and it made for a delightfully creamy chai latte. If my lunchbreaks were long enough I'd probably come here every day!

quite sad…the name of the place, the rating and the huge queue outside did not leave me expecting soft mushy croissants and pain chocolates. Maybe it’s sunday, maybe not all batches are like that.. but at least don’t sell a failed batch in a fancy place… I found the taste of the chocolate inside quite well, but with 0 crunch it’s just said, very sad. that being said, I’m quite sure the sweet cakes and so on are great, those look definitely appealing. But somewhere, the basic things must be top notch in a renown bakery

Love this Bakery in Antwerp Zuid. Everything looks so tempting!! But I often go to buy their sourdough bread & croissants. Their fig baguette is also good. And weekends people often line up to buy their fresh bakes.

I am extremely disappointed with the quality of their products (I’ve only tried salty options 2 or 3 times). The breads and sausage pie were hard and expensive. I paid almost 7€ for them.

I am sorry I do not have any photos of the pastries we purchased. They were so delicious that before we realized that no pictures were taken, they were all eaten! The bread, shaped like a flute with raisins and walnuts was so good that we purchased it also to take it home to Switzerland!

This place is disgusting. The young girls serving customers have not been trained. The cashier hands me a croissant with her hands, without wearing gloves or using a handle. Disgusting, I threw it away. Who knows what kind of hygiene they have in the kitchen. Skip this place.

Food quality here varies from terrible to mediocre. Prices are not cheap either. As a pastry lover, it sucks not to have a decent choice in bakeries in Antwerp. Another reason for me to travel in France once in a while...

Best matcha I have ever tried! The staff were incredibly kind, and you can truly feel the love and care they put into crafting each drink. Both the regular Matcha and the Beauty Matcha tasted absolutely amazing. The Beauty Matcha, made with rose water, had the perfect balance — you could taste the rose subtly without it being overpowering. The Matcha itself tasted very authentic, just like it should. The shop is also beautifully designed — modern, clean, and welcoming. Overall, a 10/10 experience. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Not your ordinary matcha place. The experience of the incredibly lovely staff really made us appreciate the quality of the products served. Directly sourced from local Japanese Matcha producers. We arrived in Antwerp few minutes prior, stressed and tired, but the zen atmosphere and tatami lay-out soothed our rushed demeanor. Thank you for the hospitality.

The place has potential, but there are a few things that made my experience frustrating. There’s no visible menu, and the selection is quite limited. The staff only tells you what type of milk you can choose, but nothing else — which creates a lot of confusion, especially for first-time visitors. Prices aren’t displayed anywhere, which doesn’t feel very transparent. I’ve been here twice. The first time, I really enjoyed the Beauty Matcha — it was smooth and flavorful. However, the second time I ordered the exact same drink, and it tasted completely different — no matcha flavor at all.

Good quality matcha and really tasty. I tried it for the first time with cashew milk, which gave it a slightly sweet taste. Although the matcha was delicious, the atmosphere wasn’t very nice.

My girlfriend is a Matcha expert and says this is the best matcha she has ever had!🙌🏽 Special high quality japanse Matcha àd the Service is also suuuper friendly and experienced.

Very small place but I loved how the shop is, you can sit inside where they can sit 8 people and then outside, they serve traditional matcha as well as their specialty which is what I got. Over all it was a good matcha shop, a bit pricey but worth it for the place since it’s Europe and not Japan.

I liked the authentic vibe. The staff was super friendly. We tried the beauty latté and a matcha cookie. They both had a lot of flavour and high quality matcha. We loved both and will be coming back asap :)

The absolute bread and pastry temple in Antwerp, all packed in 10 sqm, hence the permanent queue outside, makes it easy to spot!

I finally decided to try Goossens after hearing so much about it, and honestly, it didn’t live up to the hype. The baked goods are decent, but not outstanding — good for the price, but don’t expect miracles. The pain au chocolat wasn’t very crunchy and not layers, and I didn’t find the chocolate or butter flavour very strong. The pudding crème was okay, but nothing special. One thing that stood out negatively was hygiene — staff touch items with their hands a lot, which felt a bit off.

Small bakery, only one customer at a time can be in as it is so small. Lots of pastries at fair prices. I loved my pastry filled with vanilla pudding and the Kattentong. As others have mentioned: the food hygiene is terrible though. The staff don't wear gloves or use tongs to fetch the pastries. Their hands touch money and then the goods. It is concerning!

Such a lovely bakery. I was passing by several times and got curious from the crowd waiting in line. I must say I was positively surprised by the variety of pastries, cakes and bread, some of the products being unique to the bakery. The service was friendly and fast, and would definitely recommend.

A nice little place for breakfast or lunch! We were there on a Sunday afternoon and enjoyed our lunch. Quite a few vegetarian and vegan options too. The sweet potato fries are highly recommended. Super nice coffee ☕️ and deserts as well!

Surprisingly good place! Google recommended another place in the area that was terrible and we ended up at a locals recommendation. We've been twice here for breakfast and it was perfect each time. The Pain Perdu (French toast) was lovely.

We had a granola breakfast (which was more like muesli) and a Pidou’s basic breakfast (manchego cheese, ham, jam & orange juice). Both were large portions and (more importantly) tasty. We’ll certainly go back!

It's a place with very sweet employees and excellent taste. I always stop by when I have municipal business. Their sourdough sandwiches are excellent. You should definitely buy their bread and take it home. I definitely recommend everyone to try their sourdough bread.

Beautiful setting with the inviting smell of sourdough bread. There’s a good selection of breakfast and brunch options, along with superbly executed Belgian pastries. The only downside was the filter coffee, which I can’t recommend.

Absolutely one of the prettiest cafes I have ever been, with on top one of the best carrot cakes and breakfast! The granola had something different about it. Not the plain basic granola for sure. Really recommend :)

This place is delightful. Their cafe is a great place to sit down and smell, and more importantly, taste the coffee. The pastries are little works of art and the open kitchen is a great way to see the staff passionately at work.

Very tasty :) soft, fluffy, and perfectly spiced with cinnamon. Sweet but not overwhelming, and so fresh it felt like it just came out of the oven. I’d come back just for this bun!

Stopped by the other day. So pleased we were around when was open. Despite the construction outside the inside was beautiful. Pastries looked amazing. Owners were kind and helpful. Look forward to future visits.

Tried several pastries here – the pain au chocolat, a rhubarb danish, croissant, and a few others – and everything was fresh and delicious. I also had a cappuccino, which paired perfectly with the pastries. Great quality and the prices are just as good. Definitely recommend!

Our first stop in Antwerp, and we well loved it. Proper clean, lovely details in design, sweet staff, lots of yummy choices (sucré & salé).

A Fresh Tart bakes my absolute favorite French bread — deliciously crispy, with that slight toast-like browning at the ends that shows real craftsmanship. Their Danish pastries are excellent too, and you can enjoy breakfast with a good cup of coffee in the cosy dining area. Prices are on the higher side, and most visitors are tourists. Too bad they’re closed on Sundays — that’s a real pity for such a great bakery. And since I adjusted their location to the right spot on Google Maps, I think a free croissant would be well deserved 😜

My oh my. The Seasonal Danish with a vanilla custard-prune compote-crumble situation in the middle is singlehandedly the best ever pastry I have ever eaten anywhere in Antwerp. And while the filling is oh so decadent, indulging and perfectly balanced it is actually the dough itself that sends it to that next level. Incredible. Dreamy. The location itself is beautiful and well designed. A perfect little treat yourself kind of situation and it’s in my neighborhood. Lucky me.

We ordered two cakes for my son's birthday, but only one available. This was a huge disappointment, as we were relying on both cakes for the party. The lack of communication about the unavailability of the second cake left us scrambling at the last minute. This kind of service is unacceptable, especially for a special occasion.

Creative and great kitchen but portion sizes WAY TOO SMALL and the service is not good. We feel it is very overpriced, so that we can not recommend it. We went on a Saturday evening for the 5 course menu. One was normal and one we requested in vegetarian. In total we payed 180€ for 2 menus, water and two non-alcoholic aperitifs. We were really looking forward to a great evening there but we left very hungry and disappointed. Positive: - The food was really good. The flavors were creative and the overall craftsmanship was on point - Relaxed atmosphere Negative: - The food portions are just WAY TOO SMALL! The most we ate there was the bread that was served at the side, just to fill our stomachs at least a little bit. After our 180€ diner there we went to the city and ate some fries. This was a really big disappointment for us. - For the vegetarian menu they just left the fish/meat in every course away (which made the portions even smaller). Still, I had to pay the full 72€ for this menu. That’s is very unreasonable and unfair. - The service is just not good and kind of unfriendly. No one took our coats, we had chipped plates, dirty cutlery, no thank you for a generous tip, no one said good bye when we left etc etc.

An elegant restaurant offering a 5-course menu with quality ingredients and excellent bread. While the dishes looked beautiful and tasted fine, all lacked depth and finesse — especially in the sauces — to fully justify the higher price point (e.g. the Adana Kebab didn’t deliver on its concept, and the mussel pasta had no discernible mussel flavour). Having to eat all courses except dessert with the same pair of utensils is also below the standard one would anticipate here. Service during our visit fell short as well: key etiquette points were missed, and our waiter was unable to describe the dishes — particularly the vegetarian ones, which, to their credit, were otherwise very well executed.

I had a fabulous meal! I researched top restaurants in Antwerp and Album kept popping up, so I made a reservation. I was so happy with my meal. They have bar seating, which was perfect for me as a solo diner. I had the 5-course dinner menu and it was absolutely delicious. The fresh house sourdough was so amazing and a great precursor to the meal. I also opted for the wine paring which was perfect. Waitstaff was so friendly and warm. Portions were great and all the pairings were superb. They used the charcoal grill for may dishes and the flavors were so good. They really care about the food they put out and their guests’ impressions. I’m so glad I found this gem of a restaurant. I’ll be sending my friends if they’re ever in Antwerp!

Album is intended for foodies and it delivers. The service was wonderful - attentive and warm - which, as a solo diner, I really appreciate. There is a set 5-course menu and the evening I dined, I especially loved the Tomato with Sorrel (soaking up all the deliciousness with their home-made bread was a real treat), the Monkfish was also exceptional BUT the piece de resistance for me was the lamb kebab with aubergine. The space is very minimalist which I tend to love but in this instance it felt a little cold (however, the staff was so warm and welcoming, it didn't matter too much).

Nice restaurant, good food, the Brussel sprout ravioli and the chicken dish were divine! Excellent wine pairing with the menu. Water and bread provided for 3 euro pp each, for the whole evening.

My family and I have been here before during the summer and were really pleased with the service and everything. However when we came back on the 30th December at around 12pm, we were shocked with the service and at how unfriendly the staff were. We could not get our data roaming working and we only had cash. We understood they did not accept cash and that they might not have let us use their wifi so we could pay via the phone. Not only did they not show any empathy at all, they were rude and rejected us in an unwelcoming attitude. Very dissapointed...

A small homey bakery situated by itself. Comfortable atmosphere and we bought a raisin bread. The bread is delicious and they are very generous with the amount of raisins baked into the bread.

Passed by this small bakery and was wowed by the selection, everything looked delicious! Aiba (hopefully I spelled her name right) was very helpful and friendly! The pastries I got were amazing!

Super friendly service in this small walk-through bakery. Ideally situated so you can get a pastry and a coffee, and then sit on a bench overlooking the water. Would absolutely go back.

Very cute bakery with incredible breads and tarts. The only reason I can’t give a full five stars is because we found two hairs inside one loaf of the caramelized croissant loaf. :( Nevertheless the things we had were absolutely delicious.

I like the tart products from here, always with lot of fruits and well balanced flavor. Very organic and fresh ingredients , recommend to ppl who wants to enjoy sweet more than just to taste sweet.

Rude and unpleasant saleslady. More suitable to work as a prisonguard. I had a feeling that she wanted to pick a fight with me, and not to sell me pralines. Anyways, you can find better chocolate and much nicer and decent service in other shops.
