Definitely the best gin basil smash I ever had, perfectly balanced. The ground floor feels a bit wired, but the setup upstairs is much better. The head bartender (or owner? I am not sure) is very friendly to every customer. Thanks for a good evening!

A great bar in Hamburg! We have been there twice. First time in wintertime abot 18 months ago, and sitting inside. Very nice and a little mystic. Fantastic Basil smash-drink! Amazing bar in the heart of Hamburg! The iconic Basil smash was invented here so I had to try it! Everything was exceptional and the place is very chic! They had a very big list of champagne too. Definitely worth a visit.

When you reach the place, ring the bell and then they open the door. Tried many of their signature cocktails. Most of them are good (definitely recommend Mandarin Negroni and Margarete), but some have a tendency to be too sour. Bartenders are not that friendly, so don’t expect a nice chat when sitting at a bar counter.

Our waiter Augusto was very helpful and gorgeous in all meanings 🫶🏼 A but too strong cocktails 😅 so you cannot feel much taste of cocktail as alcohol 😅😅 and also too small but it has its own charm. Reeperbahn really is Hamburg’s street that never sleeps! On my first visit, I simply strolled around and enjoyed a chilled cocktail — but even that was enough to leave a lasting impression. This place is buzzing with life — neon lights, music in the air, and an endless stretch of bars, theaters, and clubs. There’s a vibrant, slightly mysterious charm that makes it feel like a whole world of its own. While it’s famous as the red-light district, it’s also totally fine (and fun!) to just explore, enjoy the atmosphere, and sip a drink at a cozy bar. A quirky, bold, and energetic corner of Germany’s nightlife — Reeperbahn is definitely worth a visit, even if it’s just for the vibe and a good cocktail!

Run down area that is not desirable. Not a place to hang around in. Any photograph that I had taken would prove what sort of place it is, but again would not be allowed, thereby not being able to tell the truth.

I dont know if i went to the wrong area or went at the wrong time but where maps led me was very different a vibe and experience as compared to anything i had heard from people who have visited there. It was a pretty street because of the bright and colourful lights, Hence the 3 star. But it didnt meet thw expectations i had set for me. Thats also probably my fault.

Nice club but it does smell like smoke despite their ventilation. Smoking is only allowed in a separate room but this room does NOT have a door. It is just a door frame you walk through to the smoking room. To us it seemed that the ventilation system was actually blowing the smoke back into the room on the other side of the dancing floor. So the smell is definitely noticeable in different spots of the club here and there. Germany should catch up with the rest of the civilised world and just finally ban smoking indoors. Many other countries have already banned smoking on cafe and restaurant terraces OUTSIDE, let alone inside. Strange that you would have gender neutral bathrooms (in this matter the club has picked up the latest trend from the past years), but on smoking, it is 20 years behind…

EXCELLENT!!! If Batman had a nightclub , this would be it! The entrance doors are hidden in the pavement and you decent down 3 levels to find a lair of entertainment. Big open room w balcony, a stage, oval dancefloor, smoking rooms and occasionally even a DJ in the toilets where there is a second party happening!

This is probably one of the best small venues I've ever been! That's saying a lot since I've been to quite a few in Chicago, Austin, and San Antonio. I love how the place is set up so that everyone has a pretty good view of the stage no matter where you're standing. The place feels intimate which allows the musicians to interact and connect with the audience a whole lot as if you're at someone's house party. I'd love to come back here again and see other musicians live. Also, the location is everything! Perfect for going out after the concert since the bars/clubs as well as the train station are right across the street.

Perfect traditional pub. Caught up with someone I hadn't seen in a year, also ended up drinking and chatting with several nice strangers for a couple hours. Great vibes, a true symbol of the area

Amazing local pub just outside the reaperbahn. Two main drinks in this pub, astra served in a stein and a shot of bloody Mary! Both well worth buying. Friendly staff and friendly locals, loved it here and would go back again in a heartbeat.

We were at this bar two times during a Hamburg weekend. Both experiences were great. The first time we went in and had two shots of jägermeister. The vibe was happy semi chaotic. An old man was reading a paper in a corner. There was broken glass and beer all over the floor. A 30 something woman was singing loudly and dancing around the place. A group of rowdy men drank beer in a booth and the jukebox was delivering classical German tunes. The other visit we were heading for Nordlicht but it was closed. This Sunday the vibe was more chill. An old couple drank beers in silence. People drank shots at the bar. We ordered two Astra and headed for the jukebox. 2€ got us twelve songs: Freddy Quinn, Elvis Presley, toto and more. We got a corner table and drank 30 Astra’s. I remember going to the toilet and being impressed that they had ashtrays at the urinal. Someone had also puked all over the urinal and the toilet but I’m not pointing any fingers. All in all a great experience and will highly recommend.

Every day since 30years there is a DJ playing from 9/10pm till 3 or 4am during the week and at least 6am on Friday and Saturday - Vinyl only and a Connisseur selection. It is the classic Meetingspot for people of that musicscene, even internationally. Bands go there after their gigs, loads of DJs, too. It's a smokers bar, and not only the music get's you high... they also serve a nice selection of Cocktails and Spiritus. Some call it the Bermudatriangle of the Schanzenviertel - once entered it is easy to get lost in music!

Very nice and cosy place with a relaxed atmosphere. Really nice music from the dj. I loved the funk and that they only play vinyl records. This place is really worth a visit. I can recommend their cocktail dark and funky.

Another Hamburg nightlife institution! It's a small place, with a big soul. And it lives up to its name, because the music is always super funky! Vinyl-only dj's, lots of cool little corners to sit down and vibe in, and great drinks. You won't see many tourists here, this is a local spot. But well worth the visit!

I like this old DDR 50s vibe straight out of the history books. This bar is very bare bone, nothing fancy, just a few table set up in the middle of the room, a tiny bar to the left and dark wooden walls that gives that dated vibes. You just need some folks with an old school haircut, smoking some cigarets and you're straight back in the 50s. The drinks are kind of week and expensive. An average cocktail is around 12€. I'd stay say this is a good place to start bar hopping but wouldn't stay here all night

One of the too few mellow cocktail bars of Hamburg, nicely located close to the station and Monckeberstrasse. Signature cocktails are ~12e, basic ones ~9e. I took the first one of the list with juniper and it was good. I was expecting a bit more though, and the barman was a bit unapproachable, not talkative when we tried to asked about the cocktails. Also, too bad that it's terribly smelling cigarettes inside. You will walk out of here with your hair and clothes reeking.

Friday, early evening, 6ish I'd say. Not many people out yet. Somehow I still walked right past the bar, even though it was my destination. After back-tracking to find the non-descript facade and enormous windows, I peaked in. No one was there except one man. I walked in. He looked up with a curriousness because the first door I tried was locked, I was that fool. Hello he said. "Not many people here eh?" I replied. He just nodded his head and smiled. It was now a bit more obvious, this lone gentleman was the bartender. I told him to pour me something dark, heavy and brown. What he concocted was delicious. The subtle and stylish interior, chill hip hop paying in the background, and comfy chairs were on point. The cool view outside onlooking the Soviet-era government building of Hamburg was just a plus. This may be my favorite cocktail bar in Hamburg.

Odd place to go for a drink but I would recommend coming for a drink or 2. Chilled out relaxing music in a business causal sense. I felt like I was either missing the point or too drunk to understand what was going on. But I would come back for the entertainment again.

amazing, but extremely hot. was at a b.i concert and people started passing out from the lack of air in the room. they were really nice and started passing water around for the standing people, and there was medics there to help. overall nice place, but needs some way to fresh air

It's was difficult to find the right door but it was worth it to walk the street up and down 4 times. They have a great selection of alcohol and you get special cocktails/drinks. Sure that quality has its price. Try the house made clockers gin and what's really cool they offer gin tastings. I was impressed by the interior on the 1st floor you're in a forest and on the 2nd you get to an British cigar room. Me and my friends really enjoyed our visit.

This bar has a magical atmosphere and a fun cocktail menu. Several of the spirits and the gin are distilled by the restaurant’s owner. The bartender was thus deeply knowledgeable as well as friendly. I recommend the gin basil smash. This is a great spot for a drink pre- or post- dinner.

Very cool bar! The interior alone is worth the visit. I recommend going in the middle of the week. Plenty of space and the bartenders have time to chat and make you something special. Delicious cocktails, expensive but good quality. On weekends this place is packed shoulder to shoulder and really ruins the experience and charm of this place. Go on a Tuesday and it will be something special! They're known for gin cocktails and even have their own brand of gin. Definitely recommended!

We had a Parma Negroni and a Gin Basil Highball. The drinks were tasty but served in very small portions. The bar itself has potential and looks stylish, but unfortunately, the city-wide harbor-themed furniture and murals made it feel overly kitschy.

The bouncers gave us a brief before we went in explaining that they want everyone to have a wonderful time and to be respectful to each other. They also said that if we have any worries or see someone acting disrespectfully to find one of them and to explain the issue, and they will try to resolve the situation. I believe this is so important for women to hear before they go into a club, as my female friends have explained to me the horrors of creepy guys in nightclubs. The brief was also worded so well that it didn’t feel patronising to us males and also made us feel cared for. I hope more clubs can follow in these footsteps. Prost Molotow \m/

Great place, I really enjoyed lights, like in 70's, a little bit worn out, but it makes the place kinda iconic (?) for a good funky nightclubs. I recommend that club.

One and only club they are not racists. Happy to be here after 3 years.... I suggest every international students and people come here and enjoy .... The musics are 80s and 90s rocks. I love that. I left lots of tip over there because only club I love in Hamburg. Wish you all the best and stay same as before and as usual.

A nice venue with several floors, including an outdoor area in the back of the building. It is just too small for concerts but for parties it is very nice. It has a Indie/Punk Atmosphere which suits the theme of the club very well. Bonus points for serving magners cider from the tap. Cheers!

I invite everyone who reads this review, to filter out the negative reviews, and look at what the people having bad experiences said, who they are and the how of things. They pride themselves in being inclusive, tolerant, respectful and open minded. Then again they're always rejecting non-German people, I've seen this since the 11 years I've been in Hamburg , but it took a while to finally write about it. I'm personally fed up with these attitudes everywhere in Germany. You go inside and it's always very "ethnically pure and clean". Exactly the way the mustache man intended to be. This club is a prime example of "Scheinheiligkeit"(double mora), they pretend to be a place that's morally higher and looking down at intolerant people. But they're as fascist, intolerant and racist as an AFD convention. Do not come here unless you're German, and if you're white but not German, then do not talk as you enter, the bouncers will always make up some politically correct excuse to not let you in, and disguise their own prejudices. Disguised as gay friendly, tolerant, inclusive and multicultural. But deep down, it remains the same thing. Very dogmatic people who will systematically keep you out unless you're just like them. If you ever dare to criticize them, to challenge their authority they will simply cut you off and you will be denied a platform. I guess old German habits, die hard. RIP Molotow

Cheap (understand: not expensive) club with a lot of room to dance (three floors), varied music. It's never over crowded meaning it's the perfect place to go and have a good time with friends. Also have a nice outdoor area to cool down when it's too warm.

They have problem with a people from brown and black skin people, they said it’s free entry and when I asked to Get in, they stopped stating that they cannot allow me to enter without any reason. If you respect equality and against racism kindly stop going to this club and however you will have many options besides that and Atmosphere is also good at other places… So far many of the pubs follow racism. And I never been allowed most of the clubs there.. I Hope your impact would make much difference in Guards job and behaviours of this Club

Refused entry to the nightclub despite having a booking reservation. No members of the party were intoxicated and all were dressed appropriately. Despite showing this to the security staff, they refused to let us in. They then proceeded to let other people in who appeared to be German.

My friends and I got into the club last Friday, paid entry and danced for a bit (the music is just okay). After I went out for a 5 minute break with a friend, the bouncer let my friend back in, but not me. I showed him my stamp and explained to him I was just inside (he saw me earlier), but he just mocked me and grabbed my hand for no reason. I texted this to the club's Instagram but they haven't replied. Definitely confirms the stories about these bouncers. We were a group of 10, and everyone obviously left after that. Ruined the whole night. Go to better clubs.

This place was good. They did restrict few people who were ahead of us. But we got in. The music is good. The crowd is good. And the choice of drinks are also nice. As this is a club the price is expensive.

They made a party and announced absolutely nothing about dress code, i just came with plain comfortable clothes and they didn't let me in, apparently it is not a, and i quote: "sporting place", if you have a dress code, you advertise with it. I am still waiting for reimbursement, overall i do not recommend it. Also 0 queer friendly.

Blown away by this place!! I (a hardcore techno fan) went here with my boyfriend (more mainstream taste) and it was the perfect middle ground for us. PRICES: Really good! €10 entry fee for arrivals before midnight (otherwise €20). Two beers and two raspberry shots cost us €15. (I really recommend the raspberry shots) FACILITIES: super clean toilets, a huge chill zone in the hallway where you can sit down. Hygienic! Unlike on Reeperbahn, if you drop your jacket you won’t worry if it fell in someone’s puke 😂 MUSIC: two stages, one that covers the chill zone/bar and plays relaxed music, the other is a main stage and plays faster music. No contamination between the two. I LOVED the DJs that night, Andata & Morelia ATE IT UP. As with most places, you should check the lineup to see if you like the style of music for the night. I liked how these guys had serious grooves but occasionally mixed in some hilarious samples. CROWD: excellent vibes, everyone is polite. A bit older crowd than in the mainstream clubs downtown. Bathrooms are full of anti-fascism stickers which was lovely. The club is pretty empty before midnight, so you can sit down and relax with a beer while you wait for it to fill up. There is a sudden influx of people around 11:55 as they try to get the deal before midnight. Most people come around 1-2, and it becomes full but still not too crowded (the night we went). BOUNCERS: polite, just asked us a few questions like our age and where we were from. I really appreciate that this isn’t a pretentious place that will reject you if they don’t like your vibe. The crowd inside was good either way. SERVICE: very police staff. At one point they mistakenly gave my boyfriend an alchohol-free beer, he complained and they gave him a real one on the house. After this positive treatment he was happy to buy more beers throughout the night :) Overall, a really fun time, I danced like crazy!! Thank you Fundbureau for making my stay in Hamburg memorable 💗

Used to be one of the best clubs in Hamburg, had its own sound and you knew if you go there you’ll get the sound you are expecting. Nowadays sadly it became just a club wich goes with a trend and not having its own style, the events which made it the club it is and which I guess it was successful with are not happening anymore and I’ve been going to fundbureau for more than 10 years. Sadly a little pity cause Hamburg lost its identity of sound with the Waaagenbau and pal already. The fundbureau following up, even though they have a new venue, is just really sad, anyways… I will remember all the amazing nights I had there in the Schanze when it was really something cool to go to “fundi”, thank you for that time 🫶

We've spent the second part of our New Years Eve there. It is a very nice club, friendly staff, great music. The audience is quite mixed, ranging from very young to mature people ;) You don't have to worry really about age. The music was great and we've had good fun there. The cloak room fee was 1 €. Definitely worth a visit for every electro lover.

Sound engineer ruined the concert of Nathan Ball yesterday. Prinzenbar is a unique and beautiful small venue for live concerts in a very cosy setting. But yesterday, the audio was terrible. Too much bass. Even when the artist was speaking to the public (without music), you had the feeling you were listening to him from the toilets. Nathan was also constantly asking for corrections. Really pity as Nathan Ball has a great voice. I hope Prinzenbar will permanently replace whoever was behind the sound engineering yesterday.

Lovely venue for a concert, and with speaker volume adjusted right, the acoustics are fantastic. The ventilation system was a bit noisy, which does ruin things a bit.

I was there yesterday. Only 1 small room and to many people. You can’t get to the toilets because it’s to full. You have to wait more than a half hour to order drinks because there is only one bar and only 2 barkeepers for a lot of people. Never again

It’s free to go up to the terrace and enjoy a panoramic view of Hamburg from above. There’s an automatic escalator that takes you up. At the top, you’ll find a café and a restaurant, and you can also bring your own food to enjoy there.

Beautiful building. We were lucky enough to visit it free of cost. The entrance was allowrd and security was present even at 10pm because of a performance there. I heard that by 2026 entrance won't be free. The building offers free panoramic view over the city. I recommend taking ferry 72 from Lanndungsbrucke which drops one directly to the building. The view of this building over water is amazing.

View from the rooftop is nice, free entry (need to get a free ticket at door). I have been there twice, the first time is a gloomy workday in November, and there is no wait. The second time it gets quite crowded on a sunny weekend afternoon. There is a long queue for getting the free ticket, but there is also the option of paying 3 euro to skip the queue.

Saturday in the sunshine around midday you’re either very lucky or just forget it and go elsewhere because this place is buzzing. Either you have a seat or you don’t it’s that easy maybe during the week it’s better maybe there’s too many people in Hamburg whatever there’s some sand for a beachy feeling and there’s a lot of choice for snack style food, drinks are good even a bit pricey but that’s the price you pay for a hip location

Overall as a scottish lad it was great, the bartender caro (or carol) was lovely. Between the perfect mai thai and service she was perfect. The bar snack of nachos hit the spot and the whole bar theme / atmosphere like the scoobie doo zombie island movie was on point. Will come again due to brilliant service!

Does not feel like you’re in Hamburg. Very cute place. Cheese burger was really really good! Nachos were okay. Went when it was quiet, in the afternoon. There was barely anyone.

Gorgeous relaxing beach bar. Perfect place to sit in the sun and drink the local beer - Astra! Can get very busy at peak times and be difficult to find a table or chair but don't let this put you off visiting.

Was maybe going to be 4 stars, but then I ate the German potatoes and they were 7 stars so averages out to 5. Busy place, needs more staff to keep up with demand. We were there on a Monday evening and just two staff members who literally didn't stop moving the entire time, clearly struggling to keep up with the orders. But they were very helpful despite us being just English speakers, and the food was delicious. Skip the roast beef, but definitely get the schnitzel. A neighboring table ordered a steak which looked fantastic, too. And do not skip the German potatoes (Bratkartoffeln)!

We ordered jager schnitzel, potatoes gratin and currywurst. We were amazed on how big the serving was. Never seen a schnitzel which is bigger than the plate. We came in without any reservations, they told us we only have an hour. But they were not that strict with that hour. Yes, it was not only us who were told we only have an hour. I think that is how it is when you come without a reservation. We will definitely try it again. We went home with a filled tummy. We can roll like a ball after. 🤭

I'm visiting from Australia and I went to Ericka's Eck last night and it was amazing! I ordered a Wien schnitzel and it's the biggest schnitzel that I've ever seen!! It was delicious. I discovered this restaurant thanks to their Instagram video about rasierte Ärschlocher. 😂 10/10 would go again.

My friends and I dined here on Friday evening. We escaped the gloom of the November hamburg evening and were welcomed by the warmth and traditional atmosphere. The schnitzel was sublime and the curry wurst was one of the nicest we have had. Simply wunderbah!

Hard to find the entrance, so here is a step by step (because the venue doesn’t give you instructions 😅). We had a show in the Turmzimmer and after walking around and around we found it. Entrance is on the side of the street. On the right side of the entrance with a lot of glass you will find a small entrance (see picture). Inside you will find a large spiral staircase. Climb your way up to the fourth floor, past the smoking punks, and you will find a security person who will point you to the right room. Once inside, it’s a nice vibe. But the outside is a bit spooky. The whole building cannot be missed and is right next to the underground station.

Absolute beast of a venue for a pop punk gig! We flew from the UK to see New Found Glory play here and it was an amazing place!

The so called Bunker is an amazing venue for concerts and techno parties! The place has some huge history and offers some really good events! Downsides are the slow entrance and the inpractical entrance, just next to the stage. Which makes it quite difficult to first go through all the crowd to the wardrobe and back. Bar is a bit on the pricier side and toilets tend to be a catstrophe. Organization is good and some of the staff are very friendly. Depends aot on the event. I’ve had amaaaazing partied but also very bad ones here. Just remember to be nice to the others, respect everyone and we’re all good. Love the stairs.

Venue located on the 4th floor of a former (huuuge) flak tower from WW2. You can reach the venue by stairs and elevators. The cloakroom costs 2€ per item which is okay. Drink prices are higher than in bars, but it's ok. It's a great place for concerts.The booking is very diverse and there are concerts for every taste. Overall a place I usually like to visit. But I have the feeling that they often sell more tickets than they should. At bigger concerts it gets so full that the ventilation isn't sufficient anymore and you can hardly move. Also, the concerts sometimes start very late during the week. Unfortunately, I had to leave the venue several times (around 11:45 pm) before the concert was really over because I had to go to work the next day. So unfortunately it's not a 5-star venue. But still a great place in Hamburg.

Their specialty cocktails are usually tequila-based and too sugary, I didn't like them because I don't prefer both, but if they can diversify it would be great. They have a nice concept in the menu and very attentive staff 🤗

For tequila friends, amazing creativity by the bartenders. Served in beautiful glasses that each one does the cocktail looks crazy beautiful. Also, for the non-tequila friends, a good opportunity to get special treatment and start exploring this spirit. First experience is the best. They offer free water. The chug flight is the best way to know their cocktails based on Tequila. It's a strong but nice combination. I took gin basil smash also to have something for a long drink. By 20:00 Uhr it's get super crowded and really hard to talk. For one time experience I recommend visiting!!

Chug Club is honestly one of the best bars I’ve ever been to. Their cocktails are the best I’ve had. What makes this place so cool is their concept.. instead of just big drinks, they serve “chugs” which are small shot-sized cocktails. You can try different flavors in one night without feeling overwhelmed. Their beer slushy is amazing too 🤎 Every drink I tried was so creative and perfectly balanced. The bartenders are super friendly and really take the time to explain the idea behind each cocktail, which makes it even more fun. The vibe is cozy but buzzing, and you can tell they put a lot of love into what they do.

Fantastic cocktail bar in St. Pauli! The chug concept is super creative – small, flavorful tequila and mezcal cocktails that let you try different tastes without overdoing it - The bartender is a true master at crafting the perfect mix of drinks! The staff are passionate and friendly, and the atmosphere is cozy. One of the best parts — they offer free water, which feels like a real luxury after a couple of cocktails. The only feedback I have to make the experience even better is to kindly request that guests smoke outside, since the bar is small and the smoke can get overwhelming at times for non-smokers like me. But still hands down one of the best bars in Hamburg and a must-visit for cocktail lovers!

The bar featured in the World Top 50 Bars Discovery, but I don’t recommend visiting. Their concept of pre-maid cocktails served as small tequila-sized shots (they call them “chugs”, that’s why the bar’s name) is interesting, but the cocktails themselves are not. Some are too simple, some are over-sour. If you opt for chugs though, start with Fiesta Lassi and Tricolore. The team is quite friendly and general atmosphere is alright.

What a cozy place. The atmosphere, vibe and lighting are so inviting. The person at the bar was welcoming and provided detailed information on what they serve and the special variety of drinks they provide, from casual drinking to curious deep dive. I'm definitely coming back. 🙂

What a great place. The cotton club hosts a variety of musicians playing jazz, blues, swing, and more. The place is located in a basement, and i assume it can hold around 100 or more people. It is very important to buy tickets in advance as it feels up very fast. You can look at the place website to find what show is planned and also get a look at their menu. The place holds a very big variety of drinks as well as food options. A ticket price seems to vary according to the planned event, yet the range is between 10 to 25 EUR. Once you buy a ticket, you dont need to buy a drink unless you want to. We entered by 2000, the show started 2100 and ended half past midnight....amazing. We had a great band and great value for money. Definitely will visit again

Wooooow! Amazing place with a unique experience that lets you walk through different parts of the globe. I loved how much attention to detail was put into everything, and the design often includes funny little scenarios—like taking a bath with a penguin or the sheep pyramid! It’s incredibly creative, yet the landscapes still feel realistic. The night and day versions of the cities are a very cool twist. Also, all the robotics and technology behind the functioning train system—without any crashes—is mind-blowing. I especially enjoyed getting a behind-the-scenes look at the newest addition. One thing to note: it’s a huge place to explore, so plan your visit accordingly to give yourself enough time to enjoy it without rushing from room to room. It can also get quite busy, so be patient and dedicate a full day if possible. There’s a café and food area if you want to take a break during your visit. Definitely recommend it! I’d love to come back and get even more lost in the details.

Fantastic venue. Everything feels grounded and made by people who know what visitors will want to have or need. The exhibition itself is spectacular. Lots of details and stories are told ... Sometimes very hidden. Food is fine. Okay price. Reminded me of IKEA. There could be more washrooms. Also, the regular ticket isn't valid for reentry. That's a bit of a bummer since opening hours are until 1am.

Amazing attraction. We purchased tickets well in advance and got lucky, wasn't too busy. The scenery displays are magnificent, and now perhaps has got too big? We went as a couple, but seen visitors young and old enjoying the quirky funny characters placed within the miniature towns. Very close to city and other attractions such as the Elbphilharmonie, U Boat Museum, shopping etc.

Must visit if you're in Hamburg! The miniature work done is just amazing. We didn't get tickets online inspite of trying for days on a weekday and so we decided to just walk in. We were told at the entrance to wait approx 1 hour which we agreed to. The waiting area is good with free unlimited juice/water but subsidized price tea/coffee and many activities for kids and we barely waited for 10 mins and we got an entry to the Miniature land which was surprisingly quick. There is an Garderobe service for a price at enterance which we utilised but later on realised there are free cabinets to keep your stuff once you go inside. There are restaurants at different levels with really good food also lots of vegetarian options and very minimal priced which was the best thing.One can easily spend 2-3 hrs going around.Overall highly recommend

Visited there in September 2023. Fantastic must visit place for all ages if you are at Hamburg, full day will be vanished unknowingly. Gift shop and bistro is there inside the miniature. Entry fees applicable €20 per adult and children upto 1 metre length is free. Ticket can be booked online and less crowded hours booking will be best choice, however we visit there in a weekdays to avoid crowds but we found full of crowd. A spectacular miniature from various famous locations and cities around the world spanning over 3 floors. The details and quality of the models is outstanding and so realistic. Using Souvenir Medaille press your own penny (Only 1 & 5 cent) into a souvenir design for long lasting your memory.

there was a festival at the day I arrived, so it was really crowded, full of people everywhere, but after that it was so peaceful there, the air was fresh and the water was clean, it was just so nice to sit there and enjoy the sunshine, both day and night views were so beautiful!! Hamburg is definitely one of my favorite places in Europe!

The port is just huge! We took a tour on a boat for 20€ in order to admire the majesty of the cranes and the huge ships parked on the deck being loaded by containers. There are so many things to see but you need a guide to get the full experience

One of the favorite places for a sunday stroll. Plenty things to see. Make sure to catch the ferry 62 for a round trip on the river allowing you to see things from different perspective. Moreover there are plenty of places to eat a nice "Fischbrötchen"!

Beautiful ambiance, placed inside of St. Pauli Piers. There is a terrace on the roof where you can greet cruisers. We had potato/leek soup and porck knuckle, nice and tasty. Beer was super fresh and good. The waiters are very patient and welcoming. It was interesting to hava a sneak peek of food in kitchen :)

Stopped by Blockbräu for lunch after crossing under the Elbe. Sat at the biertische and ordered a schnitzel. It was crisp, golden and exactly what it should be. The Munich-style Weißbier was lovely, and service was on point despite the lunchtime rush. Big windows, open space, and a steady stream of seagulls circling the ferry terminals outside. A solid spot if you enjoy your beer with a view (and a hint of diesel in the breeze). Would 100% return. Possibly just for the schnitzel. Edit: I sat in the establishment, having a few beers, and eventually decided to also have the 700g Schweinshaxe, and it did not dissapoint. This is a meal for Kings and probably what I should have gone with in the first place. But I was just dying for a Schnitzel so I ordered that without looking at the menu. If I return here before I leave Hamburg I’m gonna try the Kalbsbratwurst at €20

Excellent food and beer. Service was fast and efficient. If you're on holiday I highly recommend coming for lunch. There is also a good view of the river and the returant is close to tourist attractions.

Came here as part of a stag do and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier or more patient. Drinks came out fast, and the food was excellent — from the pretzel to the haxe, everything was soft, well seasoned, and delicious. The atmosphere was lively with plenty of groups celebrating, from bachelorettes to tourists, but everyone was well-behaved so it never spoiled the experience. A great spot for good food, drinks, and a fun time.

Big groups and individuals turn up to this place where they are greeted with a smile and then take a seat of their choice. This brewery - restaurant is huge. They have seating on the ground floor, upstairs and on the terrace. The view from here is great. Tables and seats are comfortable and clean. Staff is friendly. They have menu card as well as the dish of the day. We realised only later about the day’s special. Nevertheless, our food was tasty and the portion was adequate. Beer was homemade and tasty. Toilets were clean. Staff was very attentive and fast. Food came fast too. I would recommend this place for those who want to eat traditional German food and drink traditional beer. And also for those who want to mingle with Germans and feel the atmosphere.

I go to Cafe Paris quite often for dinner because it is close to work. I usually get the steak frites since this is the go to meal in any French restaurant. The fries are amazing and so is the salad. Yesterday, however, the meat was so stringy that only a third of it was edible. For 35 Euros I would expect a better prepared cut. It was a disappointing meal in a usually wonderful restaurant.

That was a great spontaneous experience that I got Friday night. Was lucky to get there with no reservation. Friendly staff at the bar and amazing view upstairs. Put the credit for future visit, cos you guys canceled the party I’ve expected while I was in Hamburg. See you later.

The location has amazing views from Hamburg, there is also a terrace bar on the upper floor to enjoy them. Regarding food, my expectations were too high I guess. The king Prawns were ok, we also order the truffle pasta which is far away from the quality that I was expecting for such a price and popular restaurant.

A not so pleased experience. While the ambiance was pleasant (which I guess you only paid here for the magnificent view of Hamburg), the exorbitant prices didn't quite match the quality and portion of the food. The Burrata I had was so small for the price they asked. The bread and butter which they also charge you extra is also very few. The desert is the same. The steak (Entrecôte) was really delicious but for the price, really it is too much. To make matters worse, the service was incredibly slow, leaving us waiting for ages between courses.

Good place, the waiter was really kind. We were celebrating birthday so we were treated with respect. The fish option was really delicious. I don’t need to comment the view… it is fantastic.

Great views from the 23rd floor of the Dancing Tower. Meat-oriented menu, decent wine list. The wait for the food was too long though. We enjoyed the sides very much, and the meat (most of us took the Mastercut Ribeye) was good, though I found my rare-medium rare a bit too cooked.

Amazing view, honestly the best place to go for a relaxing evening in Hamburg. The menu is quite pricey but the service, atmosphere and overall quality definitely make the cost worth it. Drinks were good and the complementary popcorn and peanuts delightful. 100% would go again!

Nick, our waiter was extremely courteous and patient with our orders and clicking our pictures. We got a seat by the window and it was the best view that I could have asked for. We were really satisfied with the service and the atmosphere. Will definitely be back again. The pictures don't do justice. They are way better in person. Rain and fog may not give a clear view so check your weather app before reserving.

Old Private Brewery in heart of Hamburg. They offer 20L barrel and you with colleagues can drink it all. They have own brewing equipment and beer is excellent. Food was also very taste. For sure will come back when I'm again in Hamburg

Great restaurant, though could be difficult to see where you go in from the door. Its got really great character and was conveniently 100m from our hotel (Premier Inn). The food choice was traditional German, exactly what we wanted and you could either choose from the buffet where you were served from displayed meats and vegetable options or from a set menu selection. The beer was great and the ambience was fantastic, dimly lit with candles but kind of magical. The service was excellent and catered for English, though predominantly a german restuarant. From couples to large groups they catered for all in a traditional setting. Would go again!!

In all of Hamburg, I liked this restaurant the most. We didn't get to try the food, because the kitchen was open until 9 p.m. The atmosphere is extremely interesting, the interior is extremely interesting, the beer is excellent, as is the service. Special kudos to the waitress with blue eyes and blonde hair. She is very lovely. If I ever return to Hamburg, I will definitely come to this restaurant.

Great bierhouse in central city that is as good as Munich. Service is not friendly but didn’t care as everything else is great 😊

Pricing is reasonable, they have their own brewery and taste incredible! It's a place that you can sit down and enjoy without being too busy. You can grab a pint with your mate and enjoy the environment. Service is fast and friendly, they even accept card!

I've been there several times, always enjoyed the atmosphere, the food and drinks. The same was my experience at yesterday's visit, however the last interaction with the staff was a serious Pull-Off as they asked twice for tips. Usually, I am more than happy to pay a tip for the outstanding and extraordinary service, but if the waiter starts asking for it, then it pulls me off, in fact, it spoiled our evening. Never am I going to put my legs or money in this place again, unless they change behaviour.

The view- amazing! It makes sense to visig here if you are in Hamburg. Just try to reserve in advance! I went there with a friend, and got to witness a beautiful sunset over the city and the docks. The cocktails are absolutely delightful, I just wish they also had some finger snacks to order. We ordered two drinks each and sat there for almost 3 hours. Dancing chili is a trendsetter here but I honestly loved the Mai Tai wayyy more. The gin basil smash was brilliantly fresh too.

There is no food so the star is for the drinks. It's decent and good quality. This is my second time and loved it. The view and the atmosphere. The only annoying things are time slot is too limited.

Such a cool place, but it would have been a more pleasant experience if the turned down the heavy dance music, made closer to a lounge experience. There is no dancefloor anyway. Come for the view, not the experience

Great Skybar with a view over the harbour. It was very crowded when we were there, but it didn't feel crowded. You do have to wait downstairs for a bit before getting in, but worth it for the view alone.

Nice view, especially at sunset. I would recommend booking in advance, as almost all the tables were booked. We could sit at the bar though, and it was nice. Cocktails are around 15e as you can expect from a rooftop, good but not exceptional. Nice for a drink but no more.

A wonderful experience onboard the largest coal burning vessel...the crew were extremely friendly & i nearly got a captains post for the vesel...its amazing how well kept the vessel is & its true to its original style...the vessel sails & can be chartered for trips...

Doesn't look like a museum at all. Just some old boats/ships there with descriptions. But it s nice to have a walk along the coast and it s a ferry stop there. Amazing sunset there.

There is a free audio guide app that you can download and listen about all the ships/boats. You can find the information on the entrance of dock from land side, or also in some parts of the dock.

Artificial beach on the Elbe river. Summer would be the best time to be here, but winter wasn’t less charming. The cafe’s and having gluh wine in the winters are probably the best possible things to do. Use the famous route 62 ferry from Landungsbrucken to arrive at ovelgonne.

Oh what a joy. A most lovely decorated and adorned art deco building. Maybe the most beautiful theater in existence. A must see gem Jugendstil palace.

The place is beautiful but the play that I went to see (Woyzeck, Nov 2023) was a crazy insufferable mess. And I love the book, and the actors were actually good, just this specific play was too chaotic and repetitive.

If you are near the central train station it's a pity not to go around and see the great sights and beautiful buildings like this.Unfortunately did not have the time to go inside too nore to see the playing...

Drinks and service were great. Though you'd expect a bit of a few in a Skybar. We were facing a wall on our table, but even looking behind us, the view to the outside left much to be desired.

Lovely lovely place to have some drinks! The views are incredible to see Hamburg from above. Although the cocktails are quite expensive it is definitely worth the visit. They have a vast selection of drinks so you can choose from a wide variety, otherwise ask for some recommendations.

Best happy hour tip for Hamburg harbour: drinks at the top! 6pm-7pm, nice drinks (limited choice) with glass straws instead of plastic (!), nice staff, gorgeous view.

Lovely place with also great drink. Not that kind of chill and quiet place, but more like place to have fun with friends and chat.

Very disappointed by the accessibility. Lift to Tower Bar isn't actually to the bar; you have to climb two flights of stairs after getting out of the lift. The view is probably lovely from the top seating area in the bar. We couldn't tell as that's up another curved set of around 20 stairs. When we arrived, with a person using a walking stick, we weren't shown to seats by the biggest window on the level we had reached, but in a darker corner with small windows. People who arrived after us were shown to the better visibility seats. If you aren't able to climb stairs I wouldn't recommend it as your view will be very restricted. Drink prices were average for a hotel bar.

This place i phenomenal! From the bar to the dining area. At first we thought it was super crowded but as you turn around the corner you see super chilled and cozy atmosphere! We had an amazing time! A big thanks to Mark! He was awesome! Spoke perfect english and he was really nice! He suggested some of the cocktails and they were top notch! The food was yummy and delicious! I highly recommend this place!

Love this bar !!! As real as a cocktail bar can get !! The creativity of the bartenders is mind blowing, there’s so much to discover, every glass is a new experience! David, the chef bartender always have great recommendations and his team is really friendly. Try the Amarretto Sour and get a taste of heaven.

Great bar with top notch drinks and snacks aswell as proper super delicious food. My absolute fave drink is the Aloha with Lychee but be warned - it is quite sweet. Always nice music playing and a good vibe here.

We had a great time here! Well crafted cocktails and great service. However much they’re paying Shanice, she deserves a raise! She was so warm and helpful - the kind of server you dream about! We found the prices really reasonable.

They have two types of my beloved pisco Sauer, both are great 😋 Botanic bowl with shrimps was also good. The place is quite pricey, but it worths it. The atmosphere, interior, service are cool.

Delicious! We stumbled upon this place while walking around and we are so glad we tried it. It was one of my favorite meals while in Hamburg. Such a unique meal and so fresh and tasty. I had one spinach and one lemon knödel and along with the salad, it was the perfect meal. I also tried a Hugo for the first time and I fell in love with the drink. Our server was delightful and very patient to explain the menu to us in English.

This place is truly wonderful. 1) the dishes are pretty authentic yet innovative. 2) the display is simply beautiful 3) the taste is heavenly 4) the price is reasonable if you go for the lunch menu. Of course quality always has its price. The interior is beautiful and it feels cozy. While it may take some time before you get your food (it's freshly prepared), you can watch the chef go about his/her business in the kitchen. It's very transparent and very nice to watch. Definitely worth a visit.

Really good experience. Delicious food, and cozy atmosphere. The dessert was also amazing. There's not a lot of seating so it's better to reserve in advance if possible. Also I'd recommend it for smaller groups only or couples.

I was excited initially to go to Marend and try their schnitzel but to my disappointment this location didn’t have it on the menu. Nonetheless the food was pretty good but not outstanding. Service could have been better. We had to constantly ask for someone to come to our table when we wanted something and at one point all of the staff was outside on a cigarette break at the same time with no one left to attend to customers. Maybe try their other location instead

Stunning place! I'd like to give more than five stars, it was the best we visited that day!! Late coffee, cocoa even though everything had to be warmed again, the best service and company of Zachary - we loved that a lot. We'll be back definitely 💚

There is no better bar in Hamburg. DaCaio makes outstanding drinks, with knowledgeable service and a complete atmosphere. The bar menu is deep, yet each drink is made with the utmost care, it's made for you. They have a DJ on Fridays and Saturdays. Mixed aged crowd, and everyone feels comfortable. If you think your any sort of "barie“ aka foodie into drinks, you have to come and enjoy this bar.

I love this Bar because the staffs are amazing! You walk in, they greet you nicely and willing to assist you. This quality of service, you cannot get anywhere except well trained place. Drink/ music / ambience are wonderful. Bar DaCacio deserves 5 stars

I went to DaCaio with my friends to have some drinks in our first night in Hamburg, and it was all so great and wonderful, we had a blast! Our waitress Daniele deserves a special shoutout because she treated us like family! We're from Brazil too and we talked a lot and she gave us tips of what to do in the city <3 Thank you for this great welcome!!

Awesome ambiance, precommented service, hugh diversity of liquors. And this all cost big money, which is okay if the drinks were as good as the rest of this nice place. Three of four drinks were significantly below average. Not acceptable by the price of about 13-15€ per small Glas.

Came here to get a few drinks with some friends, and this place totally blew my mind. They have a bunch of great signature cocktails that are inspired by different districts of the city. All of them are extremely well-balanced but have their own distinct character. The staff was absolutely AMAZING, friendly and hilarious, and answered all our questions in great detail. The custom gin-based "build your own drink" that I ordered turned out to be one of the best drinks I ever had in my life <3 Unironically the best bar in Hamburg!

Been here a couple of times since I live near, I love itttt! Bartenders are always very enthusiastic on answering to your requests and super friendly. The interior is very relaxing and chill. When there weren’t too many customers because of covid, one of the bartenders showed us the distillery which was very cool and led us to buying gin when we saw their logos in other normal stores!! I really love this place. Definitely recommend and so glad to have near our home.

Great atmosphere, interesting selection of drinks including the possibility to play dice to find your drink of choice. They also make their own gin (Clockers).

The sister bar of Clockers, Drilling has become my favorite bars in Hamburg! The atmosphere is chill and the Marzipanfabrik provides a spacious venue with an elevated industrial feel. Drinks are obviously fantastic and the bartenders are the most friendly it gets. If you’re lucky, you’ll be able to have a peek at their own gin distillery in the back. During the day, they also serve great coffee and food— highly highly HIGHLY recommend.
