I came here with high expectations since many people recommended Polo Fried Chicken as a must-try spot, but honestly, I left disappointed. The fried chicken, which should be the highlight, didn’t live up to its reputation. It was dry, not served hot, and visually unappealing—more like something from a random street stall than a famous restaurant. The dipping sauces were also a letdown: one overly salty, the other far too sweet. What made it worse was the inconsistency. my portion looked very different compared to what a friend had on another visit at another branch in mall. Other dishes were average at best. The pork neck was decent but forgettable, and again, the sauce didn’t pair well. The catfish salad was lacking in actual fish meat, making it feel incomplete. The only dish I genuinely enjoyed was the larb moo, which was balanced and flavorful. On top of that, they only accept cash, which is inconvenient. Overall, in my experience, Polo Fried Chicken didn’t live up to the hype. I wish the restaurant will improve a better fried chicken and be more consistent in cooking.

Great food, not pretentious, just some yummy local dishes. The chicken although delicious, to be honest, nothing really special. I’ve tasted even better fried chicken from somewhere. Without the fried garlic (and onions), it’s a regular fried chicken. Better than KFC though. Overall, I’d come back here for some local dishes whenever I’m near the area. But maybe not to drive here just for the food. You’ll find the same quality and taste anywhere around Bangkok. Oh, it’s CASH only!!!

Polo Fried Chicken used to be one of my favorite spots, but this time it was a bit disappointing. We ordered their signature fried chicken, it came out cold and a bit dry, not like before. The chicken larb was good though, so that kinda made up for it. Honestly, I think their service could use some improvement. Most of the servers seemed really grumpy and it felt a bit uncomfortable, though the owner was nice and friendly.

If you're a chicken fan, you absolutely must check this place out! The food is super-local and extremely popular among Bangkok residents. The high volume of delivery orders ensures their chicken is always fresh, and the preparation process is completely transparent once you find the shop. ​The highlight is the signature garlic-laden fried chicken—make sure to pair it with beer! Adding a side of papaya salad and grilled pork neck makes for a satisfying meal. ​They do have a separate, air-conditioned seating space located a few shops down from the original stall. We went to this famous restaurant on a Saturday, around 2 PM, and were seated immediately, without a wait. We ordered a whole chicken, three portions of rice, and a papaya salad, which was enough for two men and one woman. The chicken, the restaurant's signature dish, was unfortunately a little dry and served at room temperature, suggesting it wasn't freshly made, and it lacked salt and seasoning. The crispy garlic that accompanies it, however, was very good. The table service was strange: we felt that foreigners were ignored, with local customers being served first. We had to raise our hands and wait several times. They do not accept cards, only cash.

This place is a must visit for fried chicken With only around 150 Bath for half chicken price is so worth the price. The chicken is so flavoured and crispy. They served also fish and vegetables. They have 2 places which are the same brand only 100m always with AC and without AC attached to their kitchen.

The fried chicken w garlic onion shallots is pretty decent. The papaya salad is normal but good to wash off the greasiness as the fish cake is abit oily. Can try if you have the take if not can order grabfood from them to your hotel instead

This was our second visit to Kuang Heng Chicken Rice in Pratunam. While the staff aren’t particularly friendly, they’re still decent—and we keep coming back because we genuinely enjoy the food. The steamed buns could’ve been better—they weren’t warm—but everything else hit the spot. One small suggestion: it would be great if they offered the chicken satay in smaller portions, as 10 sticks is a bit much for just two people wanting it as a side dish.

The food is really good here. Only thing is not pretty here so drop your food safety standards and just trust the process. There is no shop front and the back is open so there was a random cat walking through as it pleases. The odd bug flying around, basic English but you can get through with tourist number signing and pointing to pictures. We ordered the satay, finished and ordered it again because it was so good and wasn't enough. I loved them flat noodles with fish balls

Walked by and was really hungry haha. Ordered the steam and fried chicken. Taste was okay, nothing really stood out. Rice was lacking a chicken rice taste, the steam chicken was tender and fried chicken didn’t have an oily taste which is good. They gave sweet chilli and spicy chilli, which added taste when paired with the rice and chicken. Also ordered bittergourd soup with pork ribs, was really nice and tasty and is good for a rainy day. Price point wasn’t expensive Overall was good!

Not as crowded as the nearby competitor, so to me the atmosphere is more comfortable and better. I feel the service is good, couples young staffs standby, the young lady one was so attentive, humble and friendly to me. I amazed of how many menu option here. Instead of their signature Hainanese chicken rice, you also can find noodles, fish maw, satay and even Hainanese style breakfast meals and snacks. Tastewise, I loved their boiled chicken rice. The rice is tasty and fragrant while the chicken itself is soft and tender. The dipping sauce is superb! Don't forget to order their bitter gourd pork rib soup too, perfect. The soup is fresh and tasty. Obviously cooked for a long time to get the softness of the gourd. Tried their pork satay also, no complaint at all, tender meat, not burnt and well done grilled. The sweetness of the peanut sauce is boosting the taste. Overall, satisfactory. Highly recommended.

Delicious chicken rice! I tried the mixed version with both fired and cooked chicken. I preferred the fried one as it was flavour, crispy, fresh and the sweet chilli sauce was just divine. Nonetheless the cooked one was equally nice (in my opinion it matched the quality of the Michelin recommended neighbours.) It’s a perfect place for a quick satisfying meal.

The staff were nice and the food was very affordable and decent. The hainanese chicken was great with the sauce provided as well as the chicken satay. The drinks were quite refreshing too!

My food came swiftly and quickly and everything was served within 10 minutes. The coffee was too dark for my liking, the chicken rice was nothing special but the deep fried chicken was good while the white chocolate was mediocre. The Chocolate butter bread with banana was really good, a generous amount of chocolate sauce was given. It was also affordable. They also have many unique spreads you could buy as souvenirs. Overall, good experience, 4 stars.

I visited here since I was young. This place is a northeastern cuisine which is adapted to suit Bangkok people and international travelers. Definitely Somtum (papaya salad) is a must have, then I recommend the larb pladook (catfish salad with Thai herbs), grilled chicken is a balance of soft, tender, and not too greasy. Corn salad with salted eggs is fantastic too! No parking at the restaurant but you need to park at either Park Silom or Liberty Builiding.

The food was delicious and the staff were lovely — great service. However, the atmosphere was not enjoyable because some customers didn’t control their children. They were running around and making loud noises inside the restaurant, which was quite annoying. Other than that, everything else was good.

Tasty food at affordable prices. Hai som tam Restaurant is located at the main road just outside Park Silom. Usually all tables are filled and walls are decorated with photos and a bit noisy environment. Food is really nice!!

A totally underrated Thai restaurant!!! My wife and I visit the Hai Thai Restaurant on Convent Road several times during every trip to Bangkok (now for the 39th time). The food is a true delight and incomparable to the restaurants in shopping malls! The Tom Yam Gung is one of the best in the country, and the Som Tam salads are unsurpassed in taste and variety! And let's not forget the green curry! Even ordered less spicy, all the dishes taste incredibly authentic!

We had a great experience at Hai Somtam, enjoying a variety of classic Thai dishes that were both flavorful and authentic. The food was vibrant, well-seasoned.

Having read and heard about this place for many years, finally we tried today. Not sure whats the Hype about, the chicken is decent, the rice is decent but again, in Thailand, im not sure if the price justify the meal. The chicken is quite blend without sauce. Chicken rice is quite a common food in neighbouring Countries and i have tried many that i feel is above this standard. Do come try and judge yourself.

Followed everyone and came here to give it a try. Didn't disappoint and the steam chicken were meaty and tasty. Rice were very warm and fragrant. Affordable prices and try to avoid the peak hours to fully enjoy the food, service and atmosphere of the restaurant.

Just following my friends recommendation to try the chicken rice here. To be honest nothing special about the chicken rice, sure its tender but I tried way more delicious and better hainam chicken rice than this. So if you tourist like me, you definitely could find many better Thai food than this. Many locals (and tourists) visit this place. Expect long queues during weekend lunch.

Go-Ang Kaomunkai Pratunam The food is very delicious, the signature chicken meat is so soft and not dry at all! The red ice tea is very tasty not strong at all. Must come to try it when you visit Thailand 🇹🇭 Bangkok.

Chicken is tender and smooth into the mouth. Flavor is great. Add a little bit of their sauce and the taste changes even better. Only issue is the portion is a little small. I finished it like in 2-3 spoons. Would i come again if i am ever in Bangkok? Yes.. but this time i will definitely order additional chicken and rice. Overall 4 stars. Worth to walk so far for it..

I liked everything (hainanese chicken rice, chicken broth soup, veggies) except the kiwi dessert thing. Place can get crowded really fast, but the serving time is fast and really efficient. No wonder this place is well-visited by locals and tourists.

Delicious is all I can say … yum!! We had it for late lunch and 2 dinners. It’s that good. Make sure you try it with the sauce and broth. Highly recommended.

Our final stop on our food tour with Lost Plate and are considerate guide Cha-cha. The green papaya salad was delicious, as was the meat dishes and dessert. If you do this tour best need to eat lunch beforehand. The restaurant staff friendly and helpful.

The service was polite but not great as the waitress kept forgetting the orders. The atmosphere is excellent, and the restaurant has air conditioning 👌 They give you water! Their salads were good, and so were the vermicelli noodles with chicken. I wish the rice dish was better (rice was not a good quality, plus it was not 100% cooked). Maybe it was because of the closing time.

A famous North Eastern food place where a royal family member often dines. The place has A/C which can be convenient compare to other restaurants in the neighbourhood. The grilled chicken is tasty and meaty, being free range. Although staff don’t know English, some aren’t even Thai, the menu has photos so it will be easy to order. Hygiene can be improved.

Green curry and papaya salad were very tasty. Staff was very friendly but did not speak English, which was no problem, as the menu had images and translations.

I eat pad thai, the price was 100 thb and was very tasty and good sice. Totally recomended

I had a fantastic meal at this Indian restaurant. The owner and his team are very hospitable, my friends and I had a wonderful evening. The butter chicken and samosa are particularly delicious. I highly recommend it.

The paneer butter masala was rich and creamy, with soft cubes of paneer swimming in a luscious tomato-butter gravy. The tandoori rotis had a nice char, a bit crisp at the edges, and did well to soak up the sauce. Though the dish leaned slightly sweet, the spices shone through just enough to balance it. Overall, satisfying comfort North Indian fare perfect when you want flavor without overwhelming heat.”

Overall, we were very satisfied. There are deviations from the menu and the actual preparation. For example, the shrimp were pre-cooked in boiling "water" and then briefly placed on the grill. They are not grilled shrimp. They are simply boiled shrimp that are briefly placed on the grill. Also, the cutlery is really very cheap, which is a "shame." Chopsticks were not offered and were not available at the table... The chicken breast on the menu was actually a chicken leg that was served. In terms of taste, everything was fine, even if it was missing that final touch. Overall, the served temperatures of the dishes were luke warm. The restaurant itself was nicely decorated. It's very small but absolutely lovely and adequate. The service was friendly and courteous. We had a table reservation, so I had no problems getting a table.

I went to eat in the evening. There weren't many people, but I don't know if the second floor was crowded or not, because I ordered food and waited quite a while (more than 20 min). Only the papaya salad came quickly. The papaya salad was delicious,it would be nice if they served vegetables to eat it somtum. I was disappointed with the Isaan sausage I received, which was very small potion-not worth the price.

We just walk in without expecting. But the food amazed all of us! Especially the charcoal grill catfish & mango salad! We even repeat order the stir fry vegetables. 9 dishes for four person out with round tummy! It is a hidden gem!

They serve just about everything you can think of! The food is authentic Thai yet still foreigner-friendly. You’ll catch the aroma of fermented fish as soon as you walk in (tip: ask for a seat on the 2nd floor if you’d rather avoid it). As a Thai, I find the Som Tum and Yum could pack more punch, but if you’re a foreigner wanting to experience Isaan food, this place is a perfect choice.

We didn't expect much before we came as just wanna try a new place to eat. But it turned out a very nice choice for our dinner. The foods were well decorated, clean and tasty. the staffs are very friendly even we got language barrier. Totally, all good, nothing to complain. Highly recommended.

We arrived quite late on a weeknight, the food was very flavourful, dishes were spicy but we were warned about it! The staff were respectful and showed the usual Thai hospitality. Definitely would return here! If you are in the locality you should visit them, it will be worth your time and money

I went to this place for a burger in October 2024. The burger was decent, but it was not as delicious as it was hyped up to be. The restaurant has a typical American diner atmosphere with matching decor.

The wings were definitely saucy and the blue ranch was awesome! Cole slaw wasn't good, very bland. We also go the Honey chicken which was o k. Would I get again? NO. My honey had the Philly. He thought it was dry. He asked if they would grant him mercy on the coleslaw to swap for something differently, was told can order another side and pay basically. Oh, and the chilli cheese fry were not good. No seasoning in the chili.

What I liked most about this place was the atmosphere — it had a great vibe that made the experience enjoyable from the start. I ordered the Reuben sandwich, which was served hot off the grill. It came with a generous portion of corned beef and tangy sauerkraut. However, I didn’t notice any Thousand Island dressing, which is usually a key part of a classic Reuben. For my side, I had coleslaw. It was just okay — I found myself wishing I had chosen the fries instead.

Been going to Fatty's for many years now. This review is long overdue. What can I say? I love this place. It's a dive bar, Wisconsin/Thai owned. My favorite dish is the buffalo chicken wings and homemade blue cheese. I go on Wednesday's since the wings are only 10 baht, although I do order delivery from time to time. Everything I've had has been delicious. Burgers, hotdogs, salads, you name it. Great craft & local beer selection, have live music, open mic nights, etc. Cool art and interior, solid staff the women are cute and friendly. Give it a shot, I think they have the best wings in town!

Had the biggest chicken sandwich of my life and it was great! Best chicken sandwich I’ve had in BKK. Buffalo wings and cheese curds were 🔥🔥 too! Easily 1 of my favs after the first visit.

Rocked up outside Fatty's Diner in a Tuk Tuk at around 10 pm. Not being able to find my accomodation on this dark and rainy night, with last check in at 11 pm, was getting problematic? Cutting a long story short, and after a quick beer, i was ably assisted by customers, and found my destination hotel. The live music was very good as well. Thank you

Very good thai food. Mai was our attendant. She ensured we were very comfortable. Even gave us baby utensils for feeding our 8-month old baby. Somtum Der is Highly recommended

A cute authentic Thai food restaurant that was Michelin recognized since 2018. We were a group of 4 people that came here to have dinner, and decided to sit outside, as the inside had a strong cooking smell that was tough for us. From the salads section we ordered the Tum Mamaung Pla Krob (spicy sour mango salad with crispy fish) and the Tum Kaopod Kai Kem (spicy corn salad with salted egg). Both salads were very well seasoned, but veryyyy spicy (although we requested them not too spicy). From the charcoal grilled section we ordered the Moo Rong Hai Der (grilled marinated pork) which was very delicious, served with a spicy sauce (yet again, very very spicy), and this was probably the best dish of our dinner here. From the rice & noodles section we ordered the Kao Kaprao Kai Dao (stir-fried holy basil with pork and fried egg on rice). This was also a very spicy dish, but it was tasty and the rice balanced the spiciness. After all of this, we were still hungry so ended up ordering another dish. It was the Pad Mee Hang Nuea Lai (stir-fried noodles with sliced marbled beef shank and egg), which was a bit meh, lacked seasoning and the beef slices were a bit dry. Our friends that have issue with spiciness ordered several different dishes and specifically requested to make them not spicy at all, but they were all way too spicy for them and they ended up returning some dishes up to 3 times until the kitchen got it right. Considering the entire experience from end to end, I'd probably skip returning to this restaurant, also noting that it wasn't very good VFM as we spent almost 600 baht per person.

Authentic Isan food with bold, balanced flavors – spicy, sour and savory just like in the Northeast of Thailand. Every dish was delicious, came out very fast, and the restaurant is clean and well organized. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. I also love that Somtum Der has branches overseas in New York, Taipei and Tokyo, so people can discover real Isan food outside Thailand too. If I remember correctly, some branches have even been mentioned in the Michelin Guide. Overall, a great place to enjoy genuine Thai–Isan cuisine.

Authentic Thai Isan Cuisine found in Bangkok! Absolutely amazing and the MVP goes to Grilled Beef Tongue! All the dishes I ordered were so finger licking delicious! The restaurant located nearby to Central Park Mall and Lumphini Park. It was not too crowded when I visited the restaurant, they have both indoor and outdoor seating. But I personally prefer indoor seating due to weather and dust. Price was slightly higher, my bill was around 900 thb +- But it worth the price as the food quality was great! Those who like spicy food can try it here!

An Isaan-style restaurant with bold, flavorful dishes. You can specify how many chilies you want to adjust the spice level. The restaurant has two floors, and table reservations are available. It’s recommended to book a table in advance. The staff are friendly and provide good service. The place can get quite noisy, but you can still hold a conversation comfortably.

Quite unique menu but had that uniquely dishes. I think it’s Isaan cuisine. I had the slow cooked thinly sliced brisket cook with cow’s blood. A lot milder in flavor than I thought and added the fresh leafy vegetables that they gave me and I think that really added another dimension to the dish. The clear Tomyam pork cartilage soup was my favorite. And they also had Coke slushy with sour plum, a nice beverage addition to dial back the spicyness of the dishes. Try this place! It was Wednesday night at 9pm and it was a full house l!

The food is nice but maybe a little bit too spicy for some. The service is also good. The staff can speak English well. Although the restaurant is quite small but should be enough. Would recommend come and try.

Burger shack. Love the burger, with it's medium cook patties and soft crusty buns. Fries to be ordered separately. You sit at one of the small tables next to the road. As local dining as it gets. One of the few good quality burger joint in town.

It was okay. I don’t think it’s the best burger in town. But service is good. I prefer another burger joint which serves a smash burgers near here. I had the mad cow and the chicken burger. The chicken burger is little spicy, but it doesn’t say so in the menu. I think I like the chicken more than the beef burger.

Best burgers in all of Bangkok!! We had chicken burgers which they sell for 170 BAHT each. This price is a steal. Crafted with a large chunk of meat, delicious sauces and reasonable vege. Definitely will return here.

Update: the chicken burger is pretty amazing and well worth getting. Presentation of the burger was beautiful and the red marina type of sauce was super good. Very worth the price. The beef burger was super greasy and not presented well with a huge mess. But the taste is really quite good. Just wish it was less greasy. The fries are crinkle cut and pretty good, but nothing special.

Mad cow and fries was dinner. Really great burger. I was not disappointed. Critical critique would be the slightly smaller meat to bun ratio and that it might be over sauced for some and the smaller tomato & lettuce. But for the price you can’t beat the perfectly cooked infused patty. Highly recommended.

The chicken burgers here are really good! Big portions and I love how spicy it is. You can choose different levels of spices. I also got the beer cake today but wasn’t very impressed with that. It’s too dense and heavy. I would say go for the burgers but maybe skip the dessert.

First time was GREAT, second time ordering the sandwich was bit bland I felt, and the fries with quite soggy! It’s a shame food isn’t consistent! Previous review below. Ordered in Grab, Pleasantly surprised how good their Chicken Sandwich is, it was delicious and cooked perfectly. What stood out to me the most was that the spice had a kick to it, I ordered “Extra” on the heat scale and I have a high spice tolerance but I was very satisfied. Curly fries were also cooked right, not oily at all. Definitely will be eating here a few more times before I leave Bangkok.

Spicy fried chicken in a basket - what's not to like! :-) Considering I was the only customer at the time, it was a bit slow but the result was tasty. I'll go back but won't order the load fries again - the bacon was overdone. They don't mess around with spice levels - pay attention to the warning signs!

Chicken burger was well cooked, crispy batter, a little too spicey for Medium flavour, maybe my husband’s Hot version was the actual Medium and they accidently labelled them wrong? Because he said his burger wasn't Hot at all. Both our bread buns were a bit dry, maybe the buns were old. Overall flavour was good. Crispy curly fries, well seasoned. Better quality at this branch than the others. Friendly staff. Nice ambience inside the Commons.

Presentation of food and staff was great. Unfortunately, the food itself was mediocre. I ordered the chicken burger extra hot with curly fries. It looked very promising. However, it severely lacked flavor. The batter on the chicken was super hard like a thick cracker which made it unpleasant to bite into. The chicken itself had no flavor at all but a little of spicy kick. I wanted to enjoy it so bad but this was the worst chicken sandwich we’ve ever had. This spot has the potential to be a hit but they need to taste their own menu again and see for themselves what I am talking about.

I didn't expect to see Nashville Hot Chicken in Bangkok. But Fowl Mouth has it!! It reminds me of the time in Tennessee!! Chicken is delicious. Trying different level of spiciness, I think Hot is my favorite. Eat it with BBQ sauce is the best. I think they don't provide enough sauce to eat with the whole piece of chicken and fries. When I ask for more, they charged for extra sauce. No free water here.

A friend introduce me to this spot in Bangkok, perfectly located in the heart of the strip,1st time there we ordered oxtail rice and peas and chicken rice and peas omg food was on point and delicious indeed,I was very impressed with food, drinks and music.Service was great,food came out in a timely manner. Best Food I had in Bangkok. It was my first time eating Jamaican food and honest best food I had in a while. Let's start with the 2 equally best parts, the food & the service! The oxtails with red beans and rice, and coleslaw...is the perfect balance! You get a tap of spice and a cool down from the coleslaw at the same time. The staff is impeccable! They tend to you like family! Although, cozy, the vibe is as designed. It makes you feel like you're in a beach hut! I'm not used to smoking inside an establishment. But the openness to the natural air with fans circulating the breeze helps to move it through fast. The quality and portion sizes are on par with cost. The food and service will keep me coming back!

This was my second time at Frying Pan Jerk, and it’s just as amazing as I remembered. The oxtail was falling off the bone and packed with amazing flavor. The rice and peas were perfectly seasoned, and those fresh fried dumplings? Unreal. The music was pure vibes; great dancehall all night. Huge portions, great energy, and honestly one of the best meals I’ve had in Bangkok. I’ll definitely be back.

Went for a late night snack and ended up eating there.. the food was so good it gave me the feeling like I was on Jamaica instead of bangkok. Music make me wanna dance the whole time.. 10/10 definitely recommend to others.

I loved this so much! It’s my first time here at Frying Pan and it was so good! I wanted something vegan and the ackee was so delicious and filling. I’m stuffed! Will definitely come again. Great vibes!

The bbq chicken was tender and moist on the inside and surprisingly crispy on the outside, the meat is very flavourful, well marinated. Easy to order using the English order sheet, place is quite warm and small, but staff are helpful speaking limited English. The lady boss whom I think took part in iron chef speaks English so feel free to check with her. The lotus salad is unique and fun to eat and cuts thru the oiliness of the grilled meat. Overall, a good place to visit for local meal but prepare wet tissue and fan.

Som Tam Jay So is an absolute gem for authentic Isaan flavors! We loved it so much that we came back three days in a row. Their Som Tam Thai is perfectly balanced with spice, sweetness, and tang. The grilled pork neck (Kor Moo Yang) was tender and flavorful, and the larb moo had just the right kick. If you want real Thai food. This is the spot .

Fantastic food. The BBQ chicken and Som tom are very delicious. Very busy due to its popularity among both locals and tourists. I knew it was the right place as the famous food vlogger (Mark Weins) was eating there at my time of visit.

We stumbled in here for our first meal in Bangkok and it was only after we were seated that I recognized the place from a Mark Wiens video. He also wrote an article about this restaurant specifically that comes with some recommendations. Unfortunately, I didn't realize where we were before we ordered so I didn't reference it. This didnt matter in the end. Though we had no idea what to select from the menu, a friendly Thai couple helped us out by choosing some popular items for us. Wow. We received what was certainly the best papaya salad I've ever had, and I've had many. It arrived spicy and covered in peanuts and topped with crisp sections of corn that made it taste unbelievably fresh. I'll be trying to replicate this dish next summer back home. We also received charcoal-grilled chicken wings that had that smoky bbq flavour that you never get at bars and pubs that rely on the frier. Healthier, tastier. Next came a spicy soup of some kind, I believe pork-based, which was super flavourful, and a delicious isaan duck salad, which was herbacious and not too spicy. All of it was delicious and very modestly priced, but the highlight was the unforgettable papaya salad topped with corn. Do not skip this place.

The English menu had no price listed. Ordering one grilled chicken wing, one thigh, and a papaya salad with grilled pork neck needed up costing us 220 baht when another reviewer said 4 wing plus pork neck plus a papaya shrimp salads cost 240 baht. The grill is next to the dining tables so the place is extra hot. There are ants and flies all over the place. The owner had no intention of showing the actual bill at the end either. I’d recommend avoiding this place, total scam

I liked the local vibe and the food here as the flavours were spot on food but the service was chaotic which affected the overall experience. I arrived just before 12pm when it was busy with locals. The ordering process was a little confusing but I was given a paper to mark my order. The chicken wings arrived quickly but the papaya salad took 50 minutes which was frustrating and I had to follow up many times. Despite the delays, the wings were perfectly cooked and the som tam was spicy yet well balanced.

I’ve visited several markets in Bangkok, and so far, Pratunam Market is pretty nice—definitely one of the best options I can recommend. It’s not too small or too big, and there are plenty of clothing options. I initially went there to check the quality of the products being sold, since many people mentioned how easy it is to shop impulsively in Bangkok due to the low prices. However, I’m not a fan of low-quality clothes that don’t feel comfortable, aren’t flattering, and won’t last for years. Unexpectedly, one of the stores I visited had clothes that actually met my standards—comfortable, flattering, and good quality. The store called New's Image, I bought pants hehe :)) Usually, sellers offer special prices if you buy at least three pieces. That said, not all the clothes are the same quality. In general, bottoms tend to have better quality, while with tops you need to be more selective. There are also plenty of food stalls around, and it’s not hard to find halal food for Muslims. The sellers are mostly friendly. When I visited, it wasn’t too crowded but not too quiet either. I usually go in the morning for breakfast. Most of the clothing stores are inside the market under a roof, so you don’t have to worry much about the weather.

Morning market here is a must visit. For the food and the shopping - clothes are cheaper than anywhere else in bkk but remember to ask them for wholesale price. Wholesale quantity is usually 2 or 3 pieces only. Must try food at the market include the pink guava, the coffee at the lane and there are some local eats at the back too.

Great local market for clothes shopping. Few nick blacks around however predominantly clothes and bags. If that’s what you after from a market then pratunam has you covered. It’s a bit of a maze and isn’t set in a grid style so you may find yourself wandering in circles at times but it’s all part of the experience. It doesn’t take away get very warm inside as some areas are without air flow. The vendors are lovely and don’t try to push sales at all.

Literally one of the best places to shop in Bangkok! There’s a wide variety of clothes at wholesale prices. You can get a shirt or blouse for as low as 70 baht when you buy at least three pieces. The area is clean, and the people are friendly. Definitely a must-visit for shoppers!

One of the best places for shopping especially clothes. There are different stall that keep changing at different times of the day and night. So if you see something good make sure to pick it up or you may not get it the next day. The prices are very reasonable and if you pick up 3 or more pieces it will be cheaper.

I've not reviewed this in the past, though I'm a repeat customer several times over (I always forget to take pictures truth be told). My bad. It definitely qualifies as one of the more memorable ones. My criteria for memorable always starts with the broth. I mean, it's the broth that permeates and binds all the components ie. the noodles , protein and condiments together. If the broth fails, the dish fails. Thankfully, neither fails here. The broth is just the right consistency, not too thick or too watery with plenty of taste (though my personal preference is for an extra dollop of their oily roasted chili paste). The other ingredients just sort of supplement and build on that strong broth base, what you'd expect of a nicely constructed dish. Ongtong is a polished establishment. By that I mean that it caters to an international crowd by virtue of appearing in numerous influential social media accounts. The staff speak decent English, there's a branding origin story, it's got a formidable local/ international following, easily readable menu etc. Service is prompt, seating aplenty, quality that is consistent over time and pricing that a foreigner would still find affordable. No other reasons needed to define the meaning of memorable !!

It’s a rather obscure shop front on a rather busy pavement. Easy to miss it if you are not paying attention. The ground floor has limited dining space so we dined up on the 2nd floor. Be prepared for a steep climb. I found the noodles just OK. Maybe not too special. But we liked the sausages, though. They go very well with the green chilli paste and boiled veggies.

Proper khaosoi and namngiao were proper, not much to complain about both, even beef was tender, which is not always the case. Northern pork sausage was ok, fried noodles which go together with it, were bit too greasy. Fried pork would taste better if cut into smaller pieces. Miang and coconut ice cream were a novelty and tasted good, yet portion of as rather small. Obviously proces went up and it’s no longer as good value for the money as it used to be.

A Khao-soi place with wide selections of Northern Thai dishes. The beef in Khao-Soi is surprisingly tender. Starters like pork Satay and Poo-ong (savory crab roe paste) with sticky rice are delicious too. Prices are on the higher side but the foods are worth it.

A great place to head for affordable and tasty khaosoi. I arrived during a busy lunch period but was served, fed, and left within 30 minutes. The food was great; I opted for the stewed beed which was fat free and tasty, but perhaps not as tender as I'd like. It didn't melt in the mouth, but certainly wasn't tough, and I'd order it again for sure. The soup/sauce was rich and flavorful, and the 169thb price was great as it certainly filled me up. Well worth a visit!

delicious, comforting meals with good value, considering it’s Michelin-awarded. we ordered as below : 1. stewed beef khaosoi - the curry soup is very creamy and rich! the beef is tender with extra richness from being soaked in the soup. this meal would be perfect during rainy or cold days 🍜 2. deep fried fish with rice - this one was simple but really unexpected. it was MUCH tastier than we had expected! the fish tasted SO fresh. it was truly delicious combined with the fish sauce. the warm rice makes it even better! 🤤 3. khaosoi with beef & rice - this one is rather simple but very rich too. the gravy is actually a bit on the sour side, rather than curry-like 🍛 4. fried sausages - nothing too extraordinary about this one except that the chunks are BIG and it comes with a side of cucumber & ice, which is interesting 😂 i highly recommend this restaurant for a filling meal, but my only problem was the waiting time for some of our meals. aside from that, it’s a nice culinary experience in Bangkok 👌

Surely a must visit if you are in Bangkok! We had ordered one chicken khaosoi and one grass jelly for my husband… he said it was really tasty and a perfect blend of all the spices and all flavours were coming perfectly! He said a must try and that it is one of the best khaosoi he had in Bangkok….. The grass jelly was nice toooo, it was different like had crushed ice, jelly with milk and bit of brown sugar (that’s what I could make out) it was a nice dessert after dinner!!

first off, let me start by explaining that fowlmouth is a thai-owned restaurant with thai staff cooking food they can't fully understand because they didn't grow up in the american south like me. in their defense, it's like an american chef trying to cook authentic thai food - it can be done (think andy ricker) but pretty hard to pull off. i'm not sure how they formulated their hot chicken recipe and why they only use chicken wings or skinless chicken tenders instead of thighs and breasts, but they've got the fundamentals wrong. first, i'm not sure what type of fryer their using but it's either not hot enough and/or they're using the wrong type of oil. the chicken just isn't crunchy and nobody likes soggy chicken. next, the rub blend is overpowered with way too much cayenne pepper. these simple mistakes left my fingers coated in a gritty and damp cayenne pepper texture that wasn't very pleasant. that said, the biggest mistake with their hot chicken recipe is that they serve it dry. nashville hot chicken is best when tossed with a wet hot sauce at the end [5/10]. also, i want to say both in their defense and in an effort to help shape your expectations beforehand - when it comes to making something as complicated as a proper southern biscuit, unless you grew up making these things alongside your momma who learned from her momma, you'll never get it right [4/10]. in regards to their menu sides, they list a pimento mac & cheese but what ended up on our table wasn't that. first off, pimento peppers are next to impossible to find in thailand and pimento cheese means it's a mixture of 100% pimento peppers (emphasis added), grated sharp cheddar cheese, and either dukes mayo which isn't available in thailand or hellman's mayo which is readily available but seemingly too expensive for most thai restaurants who will always see the cheap bagged mayo at 711 as equal quality. whatever their pimento cheese concoction is in real life, it's definitely not pimento cheese. also another error was that the macaroni noodles weren't small elbow like they need to be for this dish to eat more successfully. smaller elbows actually (believe it or not) hold more sauce than the bigger elbows and this is just one more thing that a cook isn't gonna know unless they've both cooked and consumed 500+ plates of mac & cheese before [4/10]. moving on to the waffles that come in their chicken waffle basket; sadly they ate a little raw in the center and imo the batter would be so much better if it just had a bit more sugar added to it or some powdered sugar sprinkled on the top if they want these things to scream "southern waffles" [6/10]. in closing, their fried pickles weren't the worst i've ever tasted, albeit i'd be surprised if the pickles were homemade like they should be [7/10]. their ranch sauce was good [9/10]. should you go? if you're thai, yes - you won't know any better. if you're from the american south like me, maybe best to stick with their burgers or breakfast sandwiches. i might try their chicken sandwich in the future, albeit the menu said it's made from chicken tenders and not a solid chicken breast like we would all expect. i realize my review might read harsh, but i'd love to see them rework their recipes with an american consultant and get better. i think they can get there if they try. a nashville hot chicken restaurant in bangkok is a pretty cool thing to have!

Near BTS Ploenchit. American style restaurant. The highlight is Chicken menu with hot level up to 1-5. Crispy and newly fried with various sauce. Good service and atmosphere

Friendly staff and lively atmosphere. Wheelchair access was available, and the happy hour (buy 2 get 1 free drinks before 8 PM) was a nice perk. Unfortunately, our group of 9 found the food pretty average—orders were mixed up and the flavours didn’t stand out. The Royale burger was okay, but there are better burgers in Bangkok. Didn’t try the chicken, which might be their strong point.

A decent place for Deep Fried Chicken, should try their Jack Daniel’s BBQ Sauce. However, I have to warn you about the spiciness level, ease of eating is mild or buttermilk.

I ordered Death level spiciness and it didn’t disappoint. One of the spiciest dishes I ever had in Asia. Also mac’n’cheese has been awesome.

No food has made me feel like I’m chilling with Chris Pine on the streets of Nashville quite like this place. It’s real authentic South American food, I had chicken and waffles and it was so good, as were the sides. Make sure you try the sweet tea!

As a regular customer of the noodle shop during the day, I decided to try the night-time restaurant. The atmosphere at night felt quite different, with fewer customers. I ordered porridge with several side dishes, but the taste wasn’t very impressive, and I found the price quite high for what I got. The clams with chili paste were especially disappointing, as the flavor didn’t stand out. Other dishes were just average.

Visited on friday night at 9pm. Ample of seats,resturant was half occupied. Ordered papaya with dried shrimp somtum, stir fried noodle with shrimp, and grilled chicken 150B portion. Somtum was decent, nice sauce, appetising. Stir fried noodle were decent, chewy noodles and came with 4-5 shrimp. Grilled chicken was very disappointing, especially since its one of their signature. It was served at room temperature. Meat was dry and hard, and I'm not sure if it was because it's the chicken breast part. There's not much flavour on its own. I need to dip into chilli sauce for flavour.

Was recommended this restaurant by hotel staff. 1 mins walk from the empire place. Great family restaurant with good Thai food. They have an international option too. We ordered the fried fish, olive friend rice, sticky rice, papaya salad, a vegetable dish and the Thai green curry. We chose the mild option for spicy and it was great! Would be a restaurant I would come back again. Averaged at 400 baht per person which is extremely reasonable for a restaurant

Sara-Jane’s absolutely did NOT disappoint. Based on one reviewer’s multitude of visits and dishes sampled, I figured this would be the best bet and thanks to him, I had one of the best meals of my week in Bangkok. I had the papaya salad and the fried sea bass with herbs with rice and a beer and the total was 710baht ~$20. Not super cheap, but worth the enormous portion and exquisite balance of flavors and an excellent, crispy entire sea bass. In hindsight, for one person, I should have not gotten the papaya salad, as the herbs was a salad on its own and a lovely accompaniment to the fish and rice. I was a little hesitant about sitting outside, but it was quite beautiful dining under the banyan trees and there are many fans they will move around to get the perfect breeze. Otherwise, there is an indoor space with a/c which I didn’t realize at first.

A very inexpensive, authentic, quality Thai Food Restaurant. My favorite is Phad Thai without noodles.

Really love the Thai food served at this place. My kids kept asking for additional helpings of food here! :) You can request to adjust the level of spiciness in their food and the place is very family friendly. The staff is able to speak English and are quite accommodating for requests. We went back for a second time in our short stay in Bangkok ☺️

It's causal dinning with good service. We ordered several dishes, fired rice, Pad Thai noodle, roasted pork and BBQ chicken. They were all very good and not over powering with spices. However, the Tom Yum soup we also ordered was very spicy. The total bill was less than USD$25 for 3 of us. A great value.

Stopped by Henryfry restaurant in Bangkok for their fried chicken -- really impressed!! Crispy and juicy, full of flavour. The place get busy, so it's best to reserve a table rather than walk in. A must-try for fried chicken fans!!!

Overall is ok for the chicken except please do not try the breastfeeding meat. It's huge! And its tasteless, I guess due to the size of the breastfeeding meat thou. Thigh and drumstick tasted nice with marinate. Too bad no chance to try the wings thou. Should be best of all due to the demand too high as we wanna try out wings but no more in stock.

Don’t be deceived by their cute menu, their portions are big. We over-ordered for 2 pp because we thought the portions were smaller. No regrets though. Very good home style fried chicken. Waffles are a bit spiced, I wished for some maple syrup though. The potato wedges were excellent. Very good experience. Would recommend. Try to call ahead and make reservations. I lucked out that there was a table leaving, otherwise the rest of the tables were reserved.

Surprisingly, the carbonara was the standout dish here for me! The fried chicken was decent—juicy with Cajun seasoning—but nothing extraordinary. The hash browns were also worth mentioning, but the rest of the meal, including the salad, was just average. I brought some friends, and they felt the same way. Reservations were a hassle; I had to call multiple times before getting through. While the carbonara and hash browns were great, the overall experience doesn’t justify the effort of reserving, so I wouldn’t revisit. The shop is cute with its themed cat deco tho!

Food is great with the old school taste of KFC chicken. Recommend to try it out. The serving of chicken is huge. I struggle to finish 2 piece chicken by myself.

I live close by This place used to be my favorite. The food is not up to standard today, really got me disappointed. We ordered large grilled chicken, green curry with Roti and bean salad. I’m pretty sure the chicken was left over from yesterday it was sooooo dry, when u reheated it so many times the chicken dry out and the skin became like rubber. Green curry was so bland and watery 🤮🤮only The salad was ok. Bye bye forever…

If your a fan of Lao food thisnis a nice spot for sure. Love the area its in as well and sitting on the water and watching the fish was relaxing.

Average Laotian/Esaan food. The grilled beef with jaew sauce was really good. The tom sabb could have been better. They offer a lot of dishes on their menu but a lot of desserts was unavailable when we visited.

Very nice beergarden behind Habito Mall. Good place to leave the buzzing On Nut or Phra Khanong Life behind. If you face the pond you might think you left the city and actually sit somewhere in Isaan of Lao. They have a huge menu with all Lao-Isaan specialties and Thai classics on top. Decent beer selection as well. Definitely a nice hang out when you live around here.

Tempted to just review with one word “mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm” cos’ that pretty much was the conversation at the dinner table. You know some Michelin’s have amazing ambience and service but while the food is good, it just doesn’t commensurate? That’s NOT the case at Baan Tepa. 5 stars in atmosphere, service AND food. Every dish had interesting flavours and a story, and the flavours melded together well so it wasn’t just funky interesting food, but made you go “eh?” and yet “mmmmmmm” and want to lick the plate (I almost did but caught myself, so made do by scraping the knife across the plate to pick up every bit of the sauce.) Service was impeccable. One of the very few Michelin’s I would come to, again. Even if it was to have the same menu. Had the 4 non-alcoholic tasting pairing which came with quite tart flavours that complemented the food well. Lovers of Kombucha, don’t miss this option. The house is gorgeous; wish I saw more of it but we spent too much time savouring the food and had to rush off after 3 hours for a booked massage; so didn’t ask for a full tour.

I had the pleasure of dining at Baan Tepa this past week (Sept 2025). When you arrive to the property you are immediately transported to a well landscaped garden oasis. They have done an amazing job of using the space on the property. You could easily forget you are in the middle of a major metropolis. This continues into the back with the Baan Tepa herb gardens. A space they cultivate herbs for the kitchen. The building the restaurant is housed in feels like an old house, charming and warm. The staff were incredibly professional and warm. It felt like being welcomed into someone’s home. The food was creative and tasty, this particular menu featured a lot of seafood and ingredients from all over Thailand. They have a very respectable wine list and waved out corkage from on a bottle we brought when we ordered another from their menu. All in all a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend visiting this establishment on your next trip to Bangkok.

Dining at Baan Tepa was an unforgettable experience. Chef Tam and her team showcased exceptional skill in combining local ingredients with innovative techniques. The evening began with a delightful tour of their herb garden, setting the tone for an exquisite meal. Seafood dishes were meticulously prepared, and the wine pairing was impressive. Outstanding service from start to finish! Chef Tam's Best Asia Female Chef 2025 award is a testament to her talent. Looking forward to returning after the renovations in August 2026!

What stood out most was the exceptional service – especially from our waitress, Honey! From the moment we arrived, she showed genuine care for my elderly parents, immediately offering cushions for their comfort. She expertly guided us through each dish, explaining ingredients and origins while thoughtfully accommodating dietary preferences (less spice, less sourness, fully cooked). I was fascinated to learn that this Michelin-starred gem is only 5 years old, founded by a talented young female chef (unfortunately away during our visit). The name "Baan Tepa" beautifully reflects its soul – "Baan" meaning home in Thai, and "Tepa" from the Debhakam family. Their commitment to sustainability is remarkable: minimizing waste, sourcing from their own organic garden (where staff member, Team, gave us a wonderful post-dinner tour), and creatively using "low-value" byproducts. Their signature noodles, made with soy sauce remnants and duck egg, exemplified this philosophy. Every dish told a story, like the steamed rice with oolong tea and coconut water – which Honey proudly shared was grown by the entire team. This collective pride creates incredible 人情 (human warmth) and makes Baan Tepa feel like a true home. Though we missed meeting the chef, her vision shines through every detail. For an experience that nourishes both body and soul, Baan Tepa is an absolute must-visit in Bangkok.

We had an extraordinary evening at Baan Tepa. Each course was delicious, the pairing wines were great and complimented the food very well. Also the service was excellent throughout the entire evening. We felt so welcomed and enjoyed an unforgettable experience.

Not a bad place for Isan food. They also offer hotpot, but it’s not the best I’ve had. Overall, the food is quite average—nothing special, but not bad either. One downside is that it can get quite hot at times since there’s no AC.

We used to pass this quaint little restaurant on the way to Victory Monument station and were always charmed by it's simplicity. Finally got the time to visit and typically there were just locals and no tourists, which is a sign that the food is really good and value for money. It's a family run place so bring your patience with you as a lot of the ones taking the orders are practically kids. The lady was so sweet and typically Thailand's hallmark of lovely hospitality shines through her. We gave a dish on the ordering form but she came back to double check and offer another suggestion which worked out splendidly. Food is simple and well balanced. Pricing is great value for money. Atmosphere has a charm that can't be described, only experienced.

Tomyum soup was really good, except that it is inconsistent. Went there twice but the 2nd day was too creamy (sweeter). Expensive kangkong vegetables but large plate. Omelette was fluffy, really good! Open till 10 so good place for late dinners.

Some friends that worked in the city brought us here to this unassuming spot, something slightly "off the beaten path" for tourists. Great local food at really reasonable prices. Jim jum was simple but hearty, the pork neck was super tender. Every dish was "simple" but really well-prepared. Had a great dinner!

The food here is delicious. There’s this grilled meat dish served with their special sauce, absolutely amazing! There was also a liver dish I didn’t take a photo of, but it was outstanding as well. It was so good that I ended up eating a lot of rice with it.

A decent coffee and chocolate for a decent price in an expensive area. The staff is welcoming, friendly and helpful. That's the way it should be! The atmosphere of Super Seoul is nice and cosy. From 5pm to 7pm there is happy hour with nice promotions. Went back for beer and some food. Amazing that on a Friday night at 5pm they inform that there is no beer??? Easy to have a happy hour without beer.... The food? Amazingly overpriced and quality: the chicken was bad, not fresh and almost no meat. The French fries were so so... very small portions also and that makes it extremely overpriced. End conclusion: disappointing.

Just went today for lunch with a friend of mine and I’ve been meeting to come to this place for quite some time I live on the other side of the street and I’ve passed by this place several times and then I decided that we would go here for lunch! They had a lunch special which I ordered and it was the Bim bop, Deb bop or something like that. It came with a free soup and a free barley drink which was kind of cool for 199 bhat!! My friend ordered something else some other soup that and she ordered rice with it and some lime soda. We had a really good conversation. The food was actually quite good very good portion. Specially, for me the lunch was quite nice and quite feeling I ordered the chicken Korean fried extra for ฿99 baht!! I would say go they do have specials, but I haven’t been there. I only tried this place for the first time in terms of the lunch special I might go back for the happy hour. Let’s see what it’s like.! Very nice and helpful waiters. The food was delicious and the place is great. Many vegan options, so I'll be back. 4 stars and not 5 because there was no vegan options on the lunch set menu, which I found a bit unfair. The rest was perfect!

Super Seoul is a great Korean restaurant that serves a wide variety of Korean food and various drinks. They have lunch time deals, as well as daily deals. I really enjoyed the food here - it was fresh and tasty and I thought the service was excellent. The restaurant is open a little later than surrounding restaurants and it has a relaxed atmosphere. The price is higher than local restaurants, but I would definitely eat here again.

A cozy Korean eatery with lively design and young vibes in Silom area, 10 mins walk from BTS ST. Louis station. Lots of Korean comfort food (less vege) options and I always order delivery of their ramen and spam fries. Food is yummy just price is slight higher end, given the portion on site looks smaller than those traditional Korean restaurant esp in Korean Town. Staff is very helpful and friendly, can speak good English. Also accept reservation and you can choose outdoor BBQ area or indoor area.

We had Korean BBQ with a group of friend at this restaurant. The booking process was complicated and and we had to pay 300 THB each person to guarantee the table. The staff at the reception was not friendly and not welcoming left us with a negative first impression. The staff who provided service on the roof top were friendly and helpful. The quality of the food is okay but not excellent. There were limited fermented side dishes options available and It is a self-service restaurant. The kimchi soup was too sweet for my preference. In summary, i would go for a more authentic taste, more varieties of the menu and more affordable at Korean restaurants in Asoke.

The restaurant itself is beautiful and located upstairs from a cannabis shop, which makes for a quirky, memorable setting. The fried chicken was excellent — perfectly crispy outside and juicy inside. One standout dish was the burrata cheese paired with chili oil — an unexpected but absolutely amazing combination that I still crave. The cornbread was also delicious. Prices are on the higher side, and there’s a large selection of drinks (especially alcoholic ones), though I didn’t try them. But if you enjoy unique flavors and well-executed fusion dishes, this place is absolutely worth a visit.

Had dine here. I like the ambiance, very classy but cozy. Food is great but for me it's a bit little serving like with cornbread and potato salad. Potato salad is a bit sour, i think they put too much of lime? But still okay. Chicken are okay with hot honey flavor i like the sweetness and the ranch dip was so good. Burrata is spicy for me and too much flavor that couldn't taste much of the burrata.

This restaurant was recommended by foodie friends from Sydney and it didn’t disappoint! Hidden above a legal cannabis store, this eatery is literally a hidden gem with creative fusion dishes and interesting cocktails. You can tell a lot of attention has been placed on making western and eastern flavours blend well together and complement each other. We especially enjoyed the signature spicy burrata that was just an explosion of flavour! Highly recommended. We also had the fried chicken which was very well seasoned and wonderfully crispy. We were pleasantly surprised by the garlic chocolate cookie which we were kind of skeptical about at first but it was a clever blend of sweet and savoury and a really tasty dessert. Definitely worth stopping by at Birdies if you want something creative, different and special!

Delicious Fried Chicken in Fine Dining atmosphere! Hot and Honey Chicken tastes just right, not too sweet with very nice mixture sauce. One of the best mac and chesse we’ve tried in Bkk so far. Love the crispy flake on top. Corn bread is really nice too for finishing up the meal.

Second time here and doesn't disappoint! The smoked flavour of the noodles strir-fried in the wok is really something! The pickled chillies sauce is also really tasty; good fit for the noodles 👌 Portions are small and cheap, so it is easy to try different combinations.

This hidden gem is inside the Worachar market…walk in when you see the “two chimney”…that’s it ! Very wok hei crispy fried noodle & chicken wings…Can tell by looking at the fire…Super crispy ! Normally I don’t eat chicken skin…but this, I swallowed all 😋 60B…yummy ! Recommend 👍

Very full of fry flavor kuay teow kua gai , this is the must try dish if you are here. Located in the middle of market and this shop serve excellent fried noodle.

Hidden jem in Bangkok city. You can really taste the "wok hei" in the fried vermicelli and kway teow. Chef is super friendly and taking order for non native speaker is easy as there is an English menu and the owner's son speaks some English. We tried both the vermicelli and kway teow with mixed chicken, shrimp and bacon. The biggest plus is there wasn't any queue when we visited. The place is a bit hard to find though. You'll need to walk a t 100m in from the sign shown in one of my photo

Was at a cafe nearby and looking for a place to eat. Found this place by chance and followed the directions on Google maps. The location is accurate but it's located inside a small quiet alley which makes it easy to miss. Just follow the directions on Google maps and you'll be fine. I ordered the คั่วไก่รวม​ พิเศษ​ for 85 baht. Has plenty of ingredients and even 2 shrimps. It was delicious and filling. However given a choice whether to dine in-store or order via delivery platform, I would actually prefer the latter.

Pad Thai was not really impressed 😔 I have tried Pad krapao for the second time, so-so personally. However, I received the nice hospitality and service. Many tourists in the area and also restaurants sometimes. The restaurant is located nearby the quarter for both street food and historical sites like Giant swing and Wat Suthat.

It's small, clean, and nice restaurant. I love the atmosphere! The food is great and the price is not that expensive for halal food. and the most important is, i can eat local and halal!

I'll not say this is the right taste for Phad-thai, and will not say it's yummy either. Food is so so, It's too oily, salty and not provides complete ingredients of Phad-Thai. I have high expectation for Phad-thai because their restaurant name. By the way, this restaurant is good choice for easy single Thai dish, many choices, reasonable price, clean places, stop by for one quick easy meal is okay.

Baan Pad Thai is one of those places that remind you why Thai cuisine became world-famous in the first place. Everything here feels authentic yet refined — the interior has that rustic, old-town charm with a modern touch, and the service is warm without being over the top. Of course, I went for their signature Pad Thai, and it was outstanding. The noodles had the perfect balance of chew and wok char, the tamarind sauce was tangy but not too sweet, and the shrimp were fresh and juicy. Every bite carried that smoky, slightly caramelized flavor only a proper wok can create. Add a sprinkle of crushed peanuts and a squeeze of lime, and you’ve got pure comfort food magic. It’s definitely more polished (and pricier) than your average street stall, but the quality and care behind every plate make it worth it — especially if you want to experience the national dish in its best possible form.

I absolutely love this place. Their Pad Thai is super delicious, one of the best I’ve had in Bangkok. I’ve come back several times already because it’s just that good. The location is easy to find, the staff are friendly, and it’s also halal, which makes it even better. Highly recommend.

Nice shrimp fried rice with all the fixings, no sausage which was a welcome change but the fried sweet and also (very) salty tiny shrimp were a bit unusual. The dish is served quickly, but didn't come with soup as was pictured in the menu. Small restaurant with a few tables. Toilet didn't give a very clean impression but otherwise all seemed fine. No service water or tea is served.

We had a lovely stay at Blue Chang House for two nights. The room was roomy and had everything we needed. AC & fridge available. There were very nice common areas with tables and bookshelves right outside our room, to sit and chat with people or work from. The area was extremely lovely. Perfect amount of laidback vibes yet still new stuff going on at every corner! But calm enough. Would highly recommend both the area and this hotel in specific!

Staying at Blue Chang Hotel in Bangkok was both pleasant and convenient. The prime location offered easy access to numerous tourist attractions and a variety of local eateries. The 24-hour open kitchen with hot water and the outdoor seating area were particularly enjoyable. The friendly and accommodating staff enhanced the experience. However, there were some drawbacks. The bathroom lacked ventilation, the room was small and dimly lit, and the thin walls made it easy to hear noise from adjacent rooms. Additionally, housekeeping removed towels and did not return them. Despite these minor issues, Blue Chang Hotel remains a good option for its excellent location and friendly atmosphere.

Very cute place in a great location. Had a clean, spacious and comfortable room. Quiet at night so you can have a good rest, but only a few minutes walk to restaurants, shops, bars etc. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit Bangkok and be “right in the middle of it” but a bit hidden away.

The worst receptionist guy! An Indian guy working at hotel reception with zero skills in customer service and with very rude attitude I have never seen before.

Your experience will depend entirely on the level of service the waiters give you. A waiter will cook your food which determines the taste. My meal came out fine but I was left in total isolation after the food was cooked.There is a call waiter button at each table (and its freakin loud). Despite using the buzzer several times I was not able to get the attention of a waiter until one showed a new customer to a table near mine. The food itself was good. I'd recommend any of the family set for four people but don't expect to see the waiter again after he/she leaves your table.

Pretty decent Korean dak galbi which is a stir fry of meat and vegetables dish. There’s a variety of different meat and set combinations in the menu. Slightly hard to judge how large the dishes are from the menu but one meat dak galbi plus a la carte dish like the seafood pancake was plenty for 2 people. Ordered the beef dak galbi which they serve with tasty soup (free refills). They bring the dish to your table and the wait staff will prepare it in front of you. The flavor and sauce tasty and delicious. Wrapping the meat and vegetables in the fresh lettuce was my preferred method of eating. The meat was slightly too chewy but not bad. The seafood pancake was good but a bit smaller than expected. Not a bad choice for a meal. For two people, could expect to pay about 700-800 baht.

I cannot say it is same as I ate in Korea, but I think the taste is okay compared to other Korean restaurants in Bangkok (referred to only Dakgalbi).

Very dissatisfied. It is attractive from the menu photos but the dish size is half of what it looks in the menu and the taste is not up to the price of the dish. The bill you receive at the table has only what you order without price or total amount. When you go to the cashier to pay you find out that the salads and other stuff they bring to your table are extra. Very expensive compared to the other restaurants in the area, we paid 1000 bath for half pan.

Kaya/butter - 7/10 (Kaya wasn’t quite what am used to) Nutella 8.5/10 Biscoff 7/10 Cream/jam 8.5/10 Ordered via food delivery app, and it got to the house in great time, condition, packaging & still a little warm too! Would definitely be ordering again in future

One of the best spot for doughnuts! They bake donut with various kinds of fillings. Spare some space to try Doughnut Sandwich with Brown Butter... Sausages are also very well cooked and seasoned, go along well with mashed potatoes.

Fried Chicken near home 🐔🐔🐔 I would say it is not bad at all. There are juiciness and flavour. But it lacks a bit of crispiness and the hot sauce, which is meant to be tremendous, is overwhelming. Ways too hot that it kills other flavours. The sandwich of mushroom, halloumi cheese, and fig jam is also enjoyable. Nice flavour and balance there but perhaps wrong choice of mushroom in my humble view. Did not try the donut though cos it ran out. All in all, pretty much average for this new joint. Anyway, at this price point, I would throw myself into a large bucket

I'm so glad Brassica re-opened again in Ekamai, relocating from their former location in Nang Linchi. With new opening they also introducing many new flavors, all yummy. Glad that they also do delivery as well as that is my main ordering method. Definitely my favorite doughnuts shop in Bangkok. I love strawberry & custard, the tartness and cut the sweetness of the custard is right on point. Leche flan doughnuts sandwich just invite you in for a scrumptious bites.

This restaurant add 7% vat and 10% service charge. It means you have to pay nearly 20% above what you see from the menus. It’s absurdly overpriced with fried chicken which basically fried crusted flour. I have to say no for it after I have been there for hundreds of time and Ive just realized.

That said, that applies only to the "less hot" variants - there's pretty much no heat in the "hot" versions. And no, I'm not one of those "MOAR SCOVILLE UNITS" maniacs that's hunting for the biggest endorphin hit. This is more about lacking that little bit of extra Oomph, that clean burn, that *edge* that makes "hot" versions of Korean fried chicken so deliciously addictive. And yeah, on a side note, the fries are really not good at all. Then again, they have beer.

Just low quality ingredients, low quality taste, cheese barely melts. Overall disappointed. Fried chicken was the only redeeming factor but not worth paying the premium. We got the couple's set which had lots of sides so we got to try many things.

A nice korean bar to sit and chat with friends. Nothing fancy, it's just comfortable. The food is more of street food style. Big bottle of local beers start at THB 120. There are soju and soju-mix for you to try as well. Open til late night (around 3am). Helpful staffs. Can pay by credit card. Students get 10% discount for food. They also serve lunch as well.

If you’re looking for a fancy donut this is it! It was very good, just can’t justify the cost and value at 150baht for (1) of their premium filled doughnuts = $4.54usd… so you can forget about ordering a dozen. Plain donut (no filling) is 75baht (1) but is very plain and basic for $2.27usd. Dont bother, just splurge or double up for one of their premium filled ones instead. Some of the prices in Bangkok are just becoming insane, it’s just donuts.

Their doughnuts are amazing — super soft with lots of filling in every bite. Just a heads-up, they’re pretty heavy on sugar and calories. I’m a bit disappointed though, my favorite raspberry rhubarb flavor isn’t available anymore..

Soooo good. I tried 1 piece then had to go back to buy a whole box home. Superb quality with their valrhona chocolate and lots of vanilla specks. Dough is soft and chewy. Worth every penny (any calorie lol)

🍩 Brassica Doughnuts @ Emsphere – Overhyped and Underwhelming Brassica may have recently been awarded User’s Choice 2025, but personally, I felt this was quite misleading. I walked in with high expectations but walked out rather disappointed. To start, the dough itself wasn’t impressive — it lacked fluffiness and had a slightly soggy texture inside. If I’m being completely honest, even Krispy Kreme (just a few rows away) delivers a better doughnut experience. We tried the Leche Flan doughnut, curious to compare it with the viral Japanese custard pudding trend. Unfortunately, the custard had a slightly bitter aftertaste, possibly due to an overly burnt sugar topping. While many bakeries use brown sugar to create that beautiful crisp layer, Brassica seemed to use white sugar, which didn’t work well in this case. To top it off, the service was disappointing. The cashier was unresponsive, and the staff’s body language felt rude and dismissive, which left a negative impression overall. ⸻ 👎 What Missed the Mark: • Dough texture (soggy, not airy) • Bitter custard topping • Poor service attitude ⸻ In a mall filled with amazing desserts and friendly service, Brassica didn’t quite deliver on either front for me. I’m all for supporting local brands, but good marketing shouldn’t overshadow honest feedback.

I won’t lie I feel so betrayed , that was a stinker . The chicken was grim - texture was so SO off slightly undercooked vibe . No seasoning like NO SEASONING. You couldn’t find some black pepper ? … bear in mind it’s advertised as spicy . They would have been better off going to McDonalds getting the chicken from there , and then using that - now that could have worked . The donut wasn’t even a donut it was like a bread bun with sugar glaze on the top . The mayo was unnecessarily over the top , so messy maybe as an attempt to distraction from what laid underneath 😭. I feel so hurt and also my stomach has been twisting and turning ever since. Someone needs to send me my money back now . Straight in the bin. My disappointment is immeasurable and day my saying ruined x

This place offers a donut version of the usual Thai bread with pandan, which is available in Chinatown. The donut is soft, and they also have a creme brulee version, but the burnt exterior of the creme brulee version doesn’t really differ from just a donut but with sugar texture The pandan filling is cold while the donut is hot, which isn’t a great pairing. For the lesser price, the usual thai toasted bread has a nicer texture with kaya in the middle. But if you’re feeling adventurous, you can always try the donut version here

So happy to see Brassica have chicken back on their menu. Both chicken donuts are so good! Mentaiko wins in my opinion, but only just. If you prefer hot chicken style like I do, ask for extra seasoning when you order 🌶 Also recommended their Hong Kong 🇭🇰 milk tea - tastes just like the real thing. Strong tea, not overly sweet and slightly bitter on the finish. Love it!

The bibimbap was quite good but i wish they gave a bottle of the gochujang sauce so we could put in as much as we'd like, instead they served the bibimbap with the sauce already on top. Service was good in my opinion. The menu is very extensive and even had korean-fusion pastas!

We are two person ordered one large portion of the famously dish the Smoothly Chicken plate, two soups, and we two shared one portion of chicken' oil rice. The first surprise to me is the bitter melon rib soup, it really clear soup can taste the chicken favors in the base. The rib so full of nice pork smells. Seconds surprise is the Chicken' oil rice, it is delicious with an outstanding to all I have had tasted on same type of chicken rice before. However, the Smoothly Chicken to me is just about not bad but never the over rumors as the on line comments, it still above average.
