Great hotel, close to restaurants and bars. Staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast was varied and all very good, clean room and hotel Would definitely recommend

It's OK. The rooms aren't bad. Could have been cleaner. I will attach photos of the bathroom wall. And if you are going to have a window unit. Please seal the window better or at least warn people that they will be hearing traffic all night. And I don'tpersonally like being suffocated by my pillow when I sleep on my side. Lol And your elevator check is over due by 2 years. Unless the new paper just hasn't been replaced.
Natasha G — Google review
Overall good! Service a bit tough due to language barrier, but if you speak Chinese I expect there would be no problems at all with the place.
Joseph A — Google review
If I could give this place a zero I would. After my full reservation being paid for I got denied entrance because of a service dog, something that the ADA clearly states is illegal and completely unfair to do. I provided all necessary information and paperwork that the ADA requires me to give, and they still denied me access after payment. After they told me that they would cancel my reservation I told them I’d be filing to the DOJ and only after that did they attempt to give me back to the hotel room. I denied taking back the room because I’m going to file either way. Absolutely unprofessional and unfair. They seriously need to look up the laws.
Sam W — Google review
Clean room, tasteful decor, staff were efficient and polite. My only critique is the breakfast. Worst coffee of my life, and individually plastic wrapped slices of bread for toast. They should ditch the hassle of providing breakfast and offer a deal at the cute cafe across the street.
Patricia J — Google review
Its a nice hotel, right in downtown, close to the trains and busses. The single rooms are very small, the double bed rooms are much roomier and nicer. However the Air Conditioning in all rooms is horrendous. I had to purchase a fan the second to last day I was there just to get through the evening. The AC barely worked and my room stayed at 78 to 80 degrees. Which is not acceptable at all. I would have said something but we had other people staying in other rooms and their AC was just a bad. Its an old building, but please get that fixed, I would stay here again. Once that is fixed. Also beds are not the greatest. But Ive had worse. Nice and clean however.
Aubree P — Google review
I don’t get why this hotel got less than 4 stars (as the time of reviewing) because the quality if service they provide is really good and the owner was really caring of guests. They really deserve 5 stars in my opinion. I arrived very tired and got checked in pretty late but the lobby was open and the door was opened for me without having to call them. The room was very clean, perfect for covid time. They have all the amenities (toilet stuff are very good). And even free water bottles and free coffee in the room. With the price, they provide free breakfast. It’s not the most luxurious 5 star hotel breakfast but not just cold cereal! They have yogurt, egg, sausages, many options for bakery. Very nice!! So, in short, it’s a great hotel, great location in downtown San Jose. 2 mins walk to VTA station. Very quiet neighborhood. Totally recommend!
Fang P — Google review
DO NOT STAY HERE. Shower was full of hair, as well as the bed. Comforter looked like it hadn’t been washed. Lights were turning on on their own. AC did not work. Had to enter through the back. Streets were super sketchy right out front. Left after staying two hours and wasn’t given a refund. When I spoke to the manager Tina she was extremely rude and yelling at me on the phone. Save your money and stay somewhere else.

Nestled in Central San Jose, the San Jose Marriott is a contemporary haven for business travelers and event attendees. Boasting 22 meeting rooms and direct access to the San Jose Convention Center, it offers convenience and sophistication. Guests can enjoy an outdoor pool, a 24-hour fitness center, and well-appointed rooms with modern amenities. The hotel also features a bar, dining options tailored for busy schedules, and even retro video game systems in the lobby for some nostalgic fun.
I usually only write reviews if I've felt things went above and beyond and were stellar. I am here for a work event, so I'm not socializing or caring about location / price / food options, whatever. I just want somewhere quiet and clean to sleep. I was originally a bit concerned based on the reviews. I am a clean freak germaphobe, and inspect everything when I get into a hotel room. I am staying on the 8th floor, and my room was, to my surprise, immaculately clean, as in, this is maybe the cleanest Marriott that I have ever stayed in (and I've stayed in many). Front desk was kind, service was great, and a lady cleaning another room even helped me throw out my gross dinner trash so I didn't have to sleep with my leftovers. What's not to like?

Saturday, August 9, 2025 arrived at San Jose Marriott for the San Jose Jazz Festival around 9 am from Sacramento, traffic was easy. Early check-in wasn't until 1 pm. Finally got a room around 2 pm after five hour wait! Nice room though. Two queen size beds (I think). More than enough for little ole me though. I had requested a microwave in the room when I made my reservation in June. No microwave! There was a tiny microwave in the hallway though. Not sure if it worked. It was kind of raggedy looking. Also ice machine on floor didn't work. I went to another floor to get ice. Another small disappointment for me was there was no bathtub. Just a shower. I was looking forward to soaking my body after walking around the jazz festival. But all in all, the room was nice. Nice big screen television. Air conditioning worked too good. I turned it off because the room was too cold for me. I had nice view of jazz festival entrance from the 12th floor. Another plus, great band played in the lobby on Saturday night.

The hotel itself is very nice. The rooms are clean, modern rooms and a convenient location near San Jose Airport. However, it would be great if San Jose Marriott recognized its loyal Bonvoy members a bit more. The M Club breakfast is unfortunately pretty mediocre, especially for Platinum, Titanium, and Ambassador members who are used to better offerings at other Marriott properties. It would be nice if the hotel offered a proper complimentary breakfast in the restaurant instead of the limited selection in the lounge. Small gestures like that really go a long way in making loyal guests feel valued. We should be offered a choice of M Lounge or restaurant breakfast if that is preferred.

My family and I stayed here on Labor Day weekend. It is located in downtown San Jose next to Plaza de Cesar Chavez Park and attached to the San Jose Convention Center. We chose this hotel due to the location as it is near many restaurants and short walking/driving distance of many local attractions. Check in was very simple and employees were very friendly. Being a Marriott Platinum Member, we were offered a free upgrade to a Junior Suite and M Club Lounge access (see picture for hours). Room 1600 (3/5 stars due to lack of cleanliness): Corner room Junior Suite overlooking Plaza de Cesar Chavez Park and The IMAX Dome Theater as well as The Westin Hotel across the street. The room and bathroom were both very spacious and overall looked clean. What we did end up finding out is that the room was not fully cleaned properly as there were left over items from the previous people who stayed in the room, trash under the couch pullout bed and boogers/snot on the windowsill (see pictures). Lobby (5/5 stars): Spacious with lots of space so it does not feel crowded when there are more people in the hotel. There is a nice bar with a pool table and Pong video game that are free to play. The M Club Lounge is also accessed through the first floor lobby area. M Club Lounge (5/5 stars): lots of room for dining with couches to lounge in. The staff were very friendly and enjoyed talking to the patrons. They serve breakfast daily, hors d’oeuvres and dessert Sunday-Thursday (see picture for hours). Fitness Center/Pool (4/5 stars): the fitness center had all the essentials and a good amount of cardio equipment. There are towels and water dispenser with water cups available. There are restrooms for use as well. The pool is next to the fitness center, but we felt it was too cold to swim. I think the pool is heated, but I did not check to see if it was. My son and I enjoyed working out in the fitness center. Parking (4/5 stars): Valet only parking which is the reason for 1 star off. The staff seemed to be keeping up with the traffic, but it didn’t seem that busy that weekend. Pro Tip: Parking is valet ($53-$65 per day) only here, but you can self park in the Convention Center Parking Lot overnight for a little cheaper. Only thing is that at the Convention Center Lot, there is no free in/out privileges. Overall we had a great experience here. We enjoyed the staff and the M Club Lounge had good food and drink selections. The downside was the essentially not fully cleaned room. Upon check out, I did inform the front desk that the room was not fully cleaned when we arrived and showed pictures, the manager did seem concerned and offered to credit me 5,000 points and assured me that they will look into why the room was not fully cleaned. If I plan on staying in San Jose again, I would come back to this hotel.

My cousin and I stayed here for a concert across the street on the 25th of last month. My rate was discounted and I presented the form required which the FD agent said was invalid. I was trying to explain how I’m an employee and got the form printed at work so what else could I do to prove my status. The bald security guy laughed at me and they made me login to one of the computers to print out another form. When the FD agent said we were ‘upgraded’ I said okay thanks, but we go up to the room and it’s the exact room type I paid for. Not an upgrade from them. We get to the room and get ready right away, as they held us up for a while just to check in. When we came back I noticed the second towel on the bottom below the sink had a dirty brown smear on it.. Next day we leave and we had the car in the valet so we went straight out to pick up the car. My cousin decided to pay for the valet on her card separately and I told the valet that we had it charged to the room. They chose to ignore me and didn’t respond instead of double checking with the front desk. I asked the front desk to email me a copy of the folio before closing me out and they sent me one saying I was charged which did in fact include the valet. I went back and forward with them and even talked to and emailed James Friedman(manager) so I can get the points they promised for the inconvenience as well as a refund. Neither have happened and I have not gotten a response from James after multiple emails. As a Marriott employee, what is this??? I didn’t ‘make this up’ for compensation. It was simply what what offered for the inconveniences as pictured from the employee response. I didn’t feel taken care of & I followed up because if you say you’re going to do something, don’t you do it? I would’ve rather not been told I was going to have my money returned instead of having to wait.

Perfect location and a solid service level at this central San Jose hotel. Lobby is busy but large and makes the place feel spacious and welcoming - the “vip room” was a great place to be on slow end of days and an ideal way to spend your time while waiting for the right time to head to the airport. Parking is expensive but extremely convenient.
Hugo T — Google review
My friends & I walked in for some drinks at the bar this weekend since we were in the area. We had went up to the front desk to ask what availability was like for next week since we were going to a concert nearby. Whoever we asked was extremely rude and condescending and seemed annoyed that we had went up to him. He tried to answer fast and be short like shooing us away. Bar was great but being rude because we’re not staying there is okay? Def not booking this! I can’t imagine staying here is any better after reading only the bad reviews. Whoever the owner is needs to be more professional when taking feedback
Crystal M — Google review
I stayed for a work event that happened at the hotelm Staff were great very friendly and took good care of everyone that attended the event. The breakfast we were provided for the event was a little lacking, it was mostly just fruit and pastries, no eggs, bacon, or protein of any kind. My room was noisy, the plumbing made constant noise, I could hear a lot of noise from the street, cars, bars and music. However even after 1am when I was trying to sleep the room sounded like a laundry machine or something even after I turned off the AC. On top of all of this my sinuses would flare up when I'd try to sleep. They'd be fine if I sat up or got up out of bed to relieve the pressure. I eventually gave up and left at around 3:30am and went home where I was able to fall asleep without difficulty.

The Hilton San Jose is a sleek business hotel conveniently located near the airport and downtown, making it an ideal choice for both business and leisure travelers. The hotel offers spacious rooms, a warm welcome with a chocolate chip cookie at check-in, and family-friendly amenities such as an outdoor pool and shuttle service to nearby attractions. Additionally, it is adjacent to the San Jose McEnery Convention Center and features comfortable guestrooms with convenient amenities.
I have been to this hotel many times but this is the first time staying there. The staff at the front desk were extremely friendly and courteous. After getting to my room I noticed that I was missing washcloths and there was an issue with the toilet. I talked to the front desk and before I knew it, people had shown up at my room to address both issues. I appreciated that they worked so quickly to rectify both issues. The room was very nice, spacious, and clean. The bed was really comfortable. The hotel is located within walking distance of a lot of great restaurants and attractions. It's also about 10 minutes from San Jose Airport. Overall, I felt like I experienced the great level of customer service that I expect from a Hilton hotel.

I always have a wonderful experience when I come here. The staff is so sweet and there are so many shopping and restaurant options within 10 minutes. The pool area needs a little love maybe some power washing and more decor but has a great view. The gym is on the smaller side but it gets the job done. I love the restaurant and it is on the pricey side so be mindful but the food is consistent.

If this review is helpful, please make sure you leave it a like 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 I stayed here at this hotel for 1 night on business. The hotel is located in a scenic part of San Jose. The front desk was incredibly hospitable, and I would say this was the best part of the hotel. The bed was awful. It was so soft and lumpy. It made it very hard for me to get a good night's sleep. The hot water pressure is nice and the shower was very good. The gym in the hotel. Is very small with very limited options. It is also inside of a room that's surrounded by windows, so the light heats up the gym incredibly quick. You will definitely be sweating in this gym. I don't like the fact that it's right in front of the pool, so everyone who's leaving the pool has to come through the gym. If given the choice, I would not stay here again. The only reason why I gave three stars is because of the hotel staff.
Octobertiger T — Google review
The hotel service was just okay and I'm going to show you a video to tell you why but the restaurant was so delicious the food was outstanding the bartender was great. They must have been understaffed because we didn't have any coffee in our room and we asked him to bring us some coffee in the early in the morning so that we can get our day started and we actually had to go down there by the 11:00 to get our own coffee because it never came. They were also not accommodating when we wanted to have drinks at the bar after an event they actually closed at 10:00 on a Saturday so it was just like no place to really go in the hotel to get a drink that was a bummer. The pool was closed and the saunas was closed I wouldn't suggest going to this hotel as a matter of fact I would never go again unless I was just going there to go to the restaurant but there are so many delicious restaurants in San Jose California I don't think I would ever go back to the Hilton San Jose
Sandra R — Google review
So this place might just have the best beds I've ever slept in, and I've slept in hundreds of hotels the past few years! Rooms are nice, probably better standard than most US hotels I've stayed in. Iron etc supplied in room. Air con is really good and cold and quiet! Shower water pressure could be better but it's ok. Bar is nice, nice friendly staff throughout. Bit of noise through the adjoining door though so 9/10

We ended up at the Hilton San Jose unexpectedly after being evacuated from the San Jose Marriott due to an electrical fire. With over 300 people suddenly needing accommodations, we were incredibly fortunate that this hotel was just a short two-minute walk away—and even more grateful for the experience we had here. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly warm, professional, and accommodating. Despite the sudden influx of guests, they handled everything with grace and efficiency. The rooms were spotless, the decor uplifting, and the overall atmosphere helped ease the stress of such a chaotic situation. We also had the chance to dine at the on-site restaurant, and the food was absolutely delicious—exactly what we needed after a long and trying day. Thank you to the Hilton San Jose team for turning a difficult situation into a comforting and pleasant stay. Your hospitality truly made a difference!
Misha S — Google review
The hotel would be a lot better if the staff were friendlier. The place is HORRIBLY understaffed, even when th are a lot of guests, so that is probably why the staff is unhelpful and surly, but still... The "mountain view" rooms look out onto freeway and are super loud. They have balconies but you can't use them because of all the traffic right outside. The room facing the pool are double the price, which is SO not worth it. The rooms are old, tired, and really need an update. Management looks liek it is just milkig this hotel for all it can get out of it, and putting the barest minimum into running the hotel. It shows. A lot.

We stayed at the Hilton 08/04 and 08/05. The carpet smelled and the restroom was dirty. Discussed with the hotel and they would not do anything for us. Very surprised. They would not even come to see the room. Maybe short staffed. Not good! I don’t recommend this hotel. Only positive is the staff at the restaurant was superb! All else 1/5.

Signia by Hilton San Jose, formerly a Fairmont hotel, has reopened with a new Hilton persona. Located in downtown San Jose, it offers a luxurious experience with its upscale amenities and attentive staff. The hotel features over 65,000 square feet of event space, making it an ideal wedding venue. Guests can enjoy top-notch restaurants, an impressive fitness center with sauna and steam room, and a stunning pool with city views.
Friendly service. Large gym with separate yoga/floor area. Sauna was nice but steam room wasn’t working. Nice relaxing pool. Rooms were a good size. Parking $50 per night with valet service. Restaurant and bar on site were decent. It is in a very walkable area.

The best thing going for this hotel is its marketing team. Pictures promoting this place are extremely deceiving (as is the hotel lobby), because the rooms are a completely different story. Inside the furniture is falling apart, the carpets stained, and doesn’t feel clean. We had to report the television not working our first night only to discover that they have issues with their cable connection and television channels making it janky at best. The real draw to this place is the pool, as most hotels downtown don’t have one. Overall it was fine. They maintain the pool area and there are plenty towels. It would be great if they moved one of the many fire pits they reserve for the rooms with patios to the pool area and/or added a hot tub. The staff is not seen around and usually absent from the desk. While absolutely NOT a 5 star hotel - that was kind of a given with the price range. Not sure I’ll be returning but hope they consider an upgrade to their guests experience.
K — Google review
This is a very IMPRESSIVE hotel - it is very, very impressed with itself. The actual substance, not nearly so much. Believe the critical reviews here, not the "thoughtfully decorated" paid rubbish. AI phone operator: useless & wrong info. Shower: only 1 (quite hot) temperature available. Signage within the building: badly lacking. Room service: not necessarily available (though the AI is oblivious to the limitations & schedule). Restaurant prices: absurd, even for California. Housekeeping: no idea when guests are checking out, even when the info is at the front desk. Outside noise: quite a lot. This place is a mess, and I wouldn't want to stay here any time I have a choice. Even though THEY seem quite impressed with their fancy enterprise.

Recently attended a company "Supplier Appreciation Event" hosted here at the Signia by Hilton. Its the first time we have scheduled an event at Signia. It went over extremely well. The Staff was on top of everything and the personal attention was something that stood out. There were two Ladies working that was on top of the details, I believe the names were Yany and EdaEna, but just fantastic service. There was another gentleman that was also there and doing a good job but I did not see his name. Bravo to the Signia by Hilton Service Team!
Kelster K — Google review
I’ve traveled to over 70 countries and stayed in hundreds of 4–5 star hotels. I took a chance on Signia by Hilton San Jose since downtown options were limited — but I wouldn’t stay here again. It’s not terrible, but it falls well short of what should be a flagship Hilton property. Pros: The lobby is beautiful, though the rugs and floors were often dirty. My suite was large, and the bathroom remodel looked modern, though impractical — the floors were dangerously slippery, and only one bath mat was provided (oddly by the tub, not the shower). The gym is huge and well-equipped, and the locker room includes a sauna, but the steam room has been out of service for months (see other reviews) and cleanliness is poor. Breakfast was good, and the hostess was kind. Cons: Housekeeping is inconsistent — my room wasn’t serviced one day, and when I asked, I was told only two attendants were working for the whole hotel. Cleanliness overall is lacking: hallways never vacuumed, gym floors dirty, stains on the couch, and even a long hair on my bathrobe. Room quality feels unfinished: cheap paint jobs, loose carpeting at the trim, and sparse furnishings - like they could not afford to fully furnish the suite so it felt like a run down cheap motel room. The furniture was old and stained / scratched - felt dirty even if it was clean. The patterns and lighting gave me actual vertigo while in the room. Service feels indifferent — check-in was cold, and a staff member eyed me suspiciously afterward as if I didn’t belong there. Bar looks great but service varies — one bartender was friendly, another acted pretentious. Maintenance issues everywhere: crooked elevator buttons, smudged mirrors, cloudy water from the Nespresso machine. Overall: This property feels like a 2–3 star hotel wearing a 4-star badge. Corners were clearly cut in both renovation and staffing. The building has potential, but service, maintenance, and design quality all need serious attention. Next time, I’ll stay at a proper 5-star — even if that means renting a car to get downtown.
Michael W — Google review
Very nice hotel, a couple issues that seem to be pretty common for hotels. Our shower drained extremely slow, didn't enjoy showering with a puddle growing, and it seemed like only 2 elevators worked. Mid day on the weekends took a bit to get one. Other than that, beds were comfortable and rooms are otherwise nice. Pool area is nice and lots of loungers, pool is heated and very comfortable, bathrooms at the pool did not have working lights. Great area, would book here again!

Had a great experience here. During my wedding I lost an item and they went above and beyond searching through multiple rooms of ours behind the furniture and they were able to recover it. The fact that they looked multiple times and found it was incredible. This was all done by Millie and I really wanted to thank them for the effort and help.

The Signia by Hilton stands out for its thoughtful use of space, blending modern design with functionality to create an inviting and efficient environment. The Hayes Mansion is a luxury Spanish Colonial-style hotel located in San Jose, California. The hotel features a pool and 2 restaurants, as well as an elegant architecture.
I booked a room to get ready in for my wedding day. There was a mixup so we had to go back and forth with the front desk for a while because we weren't given the room we had booked. Thankfully the front desk team was super accommodating and ended up upgrading us. The new room was SUPER SPACIOUS so it was perfect to get ready in and take pictures. The hotel itself is beautiful and was not that far from our venue. The only complaint I have about their rooms is that they are dark, and there aren't many lights in the room. The original room we had was super dark, and even with turning on all the lights, it was still dark. Jackie from the front desk was very helpful throughout our entire stay. My sister forgot some items in her room, so she helped us coordinate the pickup of these items.

The grounds are beautiful, and we enjoyed the restaurant, which was excellent. Check-in was a nightmare. We waited for over 45 minutes to then be put in the worst possible room on the grounds. They completely forgot we were trying to check in. Jackie was very rude. Luckily, Rose was excellent at the front desk and moved us to a much better room with the view that we had paid for and reserved. The first three nights were fantastic, but on the fourth day, there was a big wedding event. We were woke up at 6 am by the staff setting up all the tables, the event started at nine, and the music and person running the wedding were on a very loud mic. The event lasted until after 11 PM that night!! It was a very noisy, not relaxing day for us. The music was cranking so for the wedding party and wedding guests it was wonderful, I'm sure...but if you are staying above the ballroom, no regard for the guests staying in the hotel. We had a very early flight and were exhausted. This was not what we were expecting at a Marriott resort hotel. I will give a shout-out to the cleaning crew for the rooms, they did an outstanding job.

The hotel remodel was lovely & the gentleman than checked us in was very cordial, BUT the experience of our stay was AWFUL! We opted to stay at the hotel since my family was hosting a dinner the night before (where we spent $5K!). We wanted to enjoy ourselves, not worry about driving anywhere & to sleep-in. We were awoken by fire alarms that they were being tested. We were NOT warned about the testing that would be taking place from 9am to at least 10:30am (possibly longer). A bit before 9am, my husband went out to meet a friend & pick up coffee for the family & missed the start of the testing. Thinking that the testing was going to be quick, I wasn't immediately upset & decided I would make a few important phone calls to my doctors’ offices. I was stupid to think that because while I was on the phone, testing went off periodically! At 10am, I went to the room next door (where my adult children were staying) & said "I can't take this, let's go." As we were packing up, we left our doors slightly open to allow easy access to one another. A man walked into my room unannounced & one of my sons became infuriated with him since my husband wasn't there. Shortly after my husband arrived another man walked into my kids' room unannounced & my other son was infuriated. Thereafter, he walked back into my room & my husband was infuriated! We grabbed our belongings & left. My husband drove to the front desk to speak to a manager, but there wasn't one available. The person at the front desk said we'd receive a phone call from the general manager. Our stay was on 12/22/24, we departed on 12/23/24. Regarding our dinner event, I thought Mary & Jose were amazing to work with. Mary was very gracious & patient with all my questions. Jose & the server for our event were very attentive. The set up of the room was beautifully done. The taste of the food was not quite to par, but it was “banquet” food so that is to be expected. I was most disappointed in the dessert. I had ordered & paid extra for an apple dessert to be served with ice cream. I noticed a dessert station with assorted bars & cupcakes were set up. I asked Jose about the dessert I ordered & he said it was changed to the station. He thought I was notified, but unfortunately, I wasn't. I passed on having dessert that evening (because I don't care for cake-like sweets), but my family told me they were dry & stale & not to try it because it would only upset me more. I was an event planner for many years so my ratings on the quality of the food (fishy smelling salmon & overcooked & salty steak) & the way the salad was plated, might be harsh, but because it wasn't cheap, I stand by my ratings. I addressed all of this with the GM via email, shortly after the event. She replied & asked how I’d suggest compensation. I offered my suggestion & followed up a week later…I followed up one more time a week after that. It is October 1, 2025, I’ve learned my lesson & will not be staying or ever booking an event at Hayes Mansion ever again. that evening (because I don't care for cake-like sweets), but my family told me they were dry & stale & not to try it because it would only upset me more. Amazing property with acute staff shortage during our stay. We live in the neighborhood, I love the property & hate to say anything negative, but our check-in experience was comical. I checked in with their app & it told me to show my ID at the front desk for my digital key. Show up a few minutes after 4pm as instructed. 3 folks are working the desk. "Your room hasn't been cleaned yet." OK, no problem, we're going to dinner anyway. Can we get our key? "Your room hasn't been cleaned yet." Uh, yeah, we got that, but can we get our digital key for when we get back? "Your room hasn't been cleaned yet." Can we at least get a parking pass? "Your room hasn't been cleaned... oh, yeah, I can do that." Return after 7pm. There's a line of unhappy folks into the hallway. 1 poor guy (Ty) working the desk. It's finally our turn: "Your room hasn't been cleaned yet." Um, and it's not going to happen tonight, is it? "No." In the end, Ty took care of us & gave us a queen suite in the old house for the same price as a king room in the new buildings. The suite was gorgeous and it made for a perfect romantic anniversary stay. Too bad Hilton whiffed the check in.

Digital key was a bit finicky and the place was a maze when I first arrived, but overall had a pleasant stay once everything was figured out. FYI Parking was $20 a night, and breakfast is $30 at the restaurant which is a bit pricey. Staff were all very friendly and the place was clean and beautiful. There were many black squirrels and an occasional stray kitty. I stayed here for a business trip in the Queen suite. It was a cute room that had outdoor access to a couple chairs and the pool was a gate away. Would come back again if I was around the area.

Attended a wedding and stayed at the Hayes Mansion, where the room was clean and comfortable. With numerous ballrooms and conference rooms, it's a great venue for events. The gym offered plenty of cardio machines and weights, and the pool—though busy—added to the lively atmosphere. Overall, a well-appointed hotel with fantastic amenities.

Just stayed there this past weekend. For the cost of the room, it wasn't worth it. If you're not an honors member, you get nothing! $20 per car for parking, $4.95 for wifi access, no complimentary coffee in the morning. Breakfast was a buffet for $28, tv channels were very few. And to top it off, there were TWO memorial services going on, one on the main lawn til after midnight. Mansion was beautiful, very clean and updated. Everything was a bit spread out not making it user friendly. As a former Hilton employee, wasn't impressed.

Hayes Mansion is our go to place when we go to San Jose. Its historical significance, quiet location and very helpful staff sets them apart from others. Shout out to Jackie at the front desk for always being accommodating and helpful and to everyone at Palm and Ember.

Nestled conveniently near Mineta San Jose International Airport, the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel San Jose is a polished retreat that caters to families and travelers alike. Upon arrival, guests are greeted with the signature warm chocolate chip cookie, setting a friendly tone for their stay. The hotel boasts spacious accommodations and an array of amenities including a large outdoor pool perfect for relaxation after exploring Silicon Valley. Dining options range from a sushi bar to a steakhouse, ensuring there's something for every palate.
I had a wonderful stay at the DoubleTree in San Jose, largely thanks to the exceptional service provided by Margret at the front desk. She was very friendly and accommodating, allowing me to check in earlier than the standard time. Margret also kindly offered an extra bottle of water and a cookie, which was a nice touch. When I realized I hadn’t received my receipt a week after my stay, I called the hotel and was lucky to have Margret answer. She quickly emailed me the receipt without any hassle. My room was comfortable and issue-free throughout my visit. Thank you, Margret, for going above and beyond to make my stay pleasant!

Good location, about a mile from the trolley, easy to walk to the airport. Had access to everything relevant for my trip. My friends and I stayed 4 nights and felt sick the first 3. On the third day, we discovered mushrooms growing under the sink which was leaking. Management moved us to another room and refunded us a single night's stay and gave us free breakfast for one morning. The cleaning staff must not be doing a very good job because the area under the sink was pretty clearly moldy. Hopefully they will fix that in the future. I probably won't stay there again but as long as you aren't on the first floor, I think you'll be fine. I liked that you could go out on the balcony.

I stayed here for an event being hosted, and had an overall great experience. The shuttle service from the airport was convenient, and was offered a cookie and a bottled water upon arrival. I was also lucky enough to be able check in slightly earlier, which was nice. The room itself showed a bit of age and could have been cleaner, but it was comfortable and quiet enough for a good night’s rest. I had breakfast (opted for the buffet) the following morning, and I enjoyed the omelet they were able to custom make for me.

I should have read the reviews BEFORE I booked a room here. I trust Hilton, and have never been disappointed, but this property is very old and has not been properly cared for. I will never stay here again, and I'm even questioning my Hilton loyalty. The carpets in the hallways and rooms are stained and very old. The armchair in the room also has stains. There are lines of lint along the walls of the room. The doors and walls are in disrepair in both the rooms and hallways. I travel frequently for work and have found a mini refrigerator to be fairly standard, but there are no refrigerators or microwaves in the rooms. The ice machine on my floor wasn't working, which was a huge pain without a refrigerator. When I went to buy water, the vending machine was out of water. I have interacted with two staff members who were both very polite. My bed was made up while I was gone during the day for work. The rooms are quite large and the location has potential, but it needs to be updated. I am certain travelers can find a better option for the price.

Arrived at 12 noon. My room wasn't ready. They said they can give me a room, IF I pay an "early check in fee" of $30. Sorry, my policy is not to get bullied, but I will give you this 1 star review wholeheartedly for free😀. Dude, your job is to provide hospitality. If you have the room, give it. If you don't, hire more janitors and learn how to run cleaning operations efficiently. Salami method to get more and more fees is not acceptable.
Samuel R — Google review
Stayed here for 3 nights for an event i was attending. The carpets leading to the rooms are filthy with large stains and lots of dust in all.the corners. There was peeling wallpaper in my bathroom. Under the bed I found a dirty sock, beer cans, and an intact and a broken shot glass. I left the bed skits tucked leaving the sock. Visible, but housekeeping never noticed. I mentioned this to the front desk and they said sorry but no offer to do anything about it. Aside from lousy customer service not offering to do something, its gross. Housekeeping wasn't good. On my second to last day there, I believe that i inadvertently left my wedding ring on the bathroom counter after taking it off to pour hair product in my hand. When I returned to the room, after lunch, the ring was gone. I spoke to the hotel l,filed a report with security, filed a police report and spoke to the head of housekeeping. I was told that they spoke to the woman that cleaned my room and she said she had not seen it...When I initially reported it to the hotel, I was told to go to "chargeback.com" and enter my info and that it will facilitate the return of my missing item if found. I tried, and not only does a different website come up, but i could not find what he was talking about. The next day, I mentioned it to the manager and she had no idea what I was talking about. Less important issues were I had two extra towels that I put on shelf in closet. They were removed by housekeeping and not replaced. Why?? Another day, they didnt replace the soap in the bathroom. Basic stuff.
Kt H — Google review
My room was clean. The hotel lobby breakfast restaurant was costly but exceplent service (5 star). For service in my room, I asked for bathroom towels to be replaced after day 1 and while they removed used towels and washcloth they didn't provide a new bath mat. On one occasion at 7am I used the bathroom near the conference center (close to restaurant) and it was dirty. Hand towels on the floor, dirt on walls and stalls, dispensers out of soap. On a scale of 1 to 5 it was a 1. It obviously was never cleaned well because there was built up dirt on the walls and floor. Still giving on overall 3 because the room was much cleaner. Room key required to get out of gated parking never worked and frankly the gated parking was inconvenient and not included in the room cost.
Victor B — Google review
Rooms are nervously dated. Makes you cringe. Carpet in hallways are buckling. Elevators look dated on the outside. Surprising inviting on the inside. Room with balcony had a draft that made room very cold and the heat only went up to 82 and that was after engineer came in and adjusted the boiler valves. Before that it was only going to 70 something he mentioned and cutting off. Hotel needs major updates. Expected way more from Hilton

Nestled in the vibrant downtown area, The Westin San Jose, formerly known as The Sainte Claire Hotel, seamlessly blends historic charm with modern luxury. As a member of the Historic Hotels of America, this iconic hotel offers elegantly appointed rooms, top-notch fitness facilities, and farm-to-table dining options. Dating back to 1926, it still exudes its original glamour while providing contemporary comforts.
Had a wonderful stay in San Jose with the wife at the Westin. Staff was courteous and accommodating. I prefer the Marriott across the street due to lounge access and an updated layout compared to the architectural style and historical significance of the Westin but was worth the experience.
David S — Google review
This hotel, centrally located in downtown San Jose, has all the amenities and facilities that a Westin has to offer. A beautiful historical antique style hotel, keeping with the original of its roots, formerly the Hotel Saint Claire, now placed in National Register Historic Place. Check in process was seamless, cordial service; all staff attentive and welcoming. The rooms, the reason of not a 5 star review, although well appointed and and in very good condition, are rather small, typical of a hotel built 100 years ago (1926). The king size bed occupies almost 50% of the room. Perfect for a solo traveler and for a night or two stay, but longer stay, or 2 in one room, and you will find no room for your belongings, a bit cramped. I used the desk for my luggage. The bathroom has no space for toiletries, though I loved the decor. And yes the bedding typical of Westin, comfortable, with a nice feel of cleanliness. Although not enthusiastic about the room size, I will patronize this hotel again, I understand that it comes with the territory of staying in a 100 years old hotel facility, Very Charming.
EAM 7 — Google review
The single queen room I was in appeared to be recently refurbished. New fixtures in bathroom, new desk, comfortable bed, personal fridge, and more made the room very comfortable. Check-in and check-out were efficient. Little waiting for elevators. The parking was disappointing. Either a public lot a couple blocks away, or expensive valet that requires one to text ahead fifteen minutes. Room service was insultingly overpriced. A $31 bowl of mediocre pasta ended up being $47 with all of the taxes and fees (most of which were just contrived layers of profiteering).
Aaron R — Google review
I had a good experience staying here at the Westin. It was a quick in and out 1 night stay. Valet was courteous and quick with the car. The front desk was pleasant and efficient and getting us checked in. Rooms where nice, very quiet with nice showers and a comfortable bed. There is a park a crossed the street for walks. There are a few homeless hanging around and sleeping on the grass, but I never felt unsafe. Plenty of walkable restaurants and bars in the area. I would stay here again.
Jesse C — Google review
All in all was a decent hotel experience, except a specific night crew employee was surprisingly rude. This was me and my sister's first time at the hotel and thought it was nice before that interaction. She berated us even though we repeatedly said we were residents of the hotel, we had just gotten lost. Most likely, will not book again.
Grace A — Google review
Be warned, it’s right near train tracks that go late at night and start early in the morning. For business travelers that do prioritize sleep, go elsewhere. Wish I had looked at reviews that say parking is practically nonexistent and food “insultingly expensive”. WiFi was very slow so I hotspotted to my phone. The desk setup is not ideal with a chair that doesn’t accommodate most heights so not comfortable private working space. The TV had major screen burn in. There is a Marriot right across the street which I went to for breakfast and looks much nicer + higher floors for noise control. This hotel might have singularly discouraged me from the Westin brand for quite some time.

Some of the best beds I've ever slept on. Room felt a bit dated but the bathroom was modern. The staff were very firlendly and helpful. Overall a nice stay.

I stayed at The Westin San Jose during a recent business trip from Texas, and the service was truly exceptional. Mohammed stood out from the very beginning. He consistently checked in to ensure everything was perfect with my room, meals, and overall stay. What impressed me most was his attentiveness. He often took care of things before I even had to ask. Mohammed’s professionalism and warm demeanor made my stay incredibly comfortable. A big thank you to him for going above and beyond.😊

AC Hotel by Marriott San Jose Downtown is a modern hotel located in downtown San Jose, just 0.7km from the city center. The hotel offers unfussy rooms and suites with sleek interiors. Guests can enjoy amenities such as a restaurant, gym, and outdoor pool. The hotel has received positive feedback for its accommodating staff, comfortable beds, and delightful food and coffee.
The hotel is pretty new, very clean room, friendly staff. However, the Wifi is difficult to use, I had to upgrade to use the supposedly free internet, but they didn’t end up charging for it. It was confusing.

Comfort and Convenience Combined My stay at the AC Hotel in San Jose was truly enjoyable. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the exceptional staff – friendly, helpful, and always ready to go the extra mile. The rooms themselves were a haven of comfort, providing a relaxing and peaceful retreat after a busy day. One of the hotel's standout features is its convenient location. Being situated close to a variety of amenities and excellent restaurants made exploring the area a breeze. Whether I was looking for a quick bite or a more refined dining experience, I found plenty of options within easy reach. Breakfast not included.

Great hotel with a relaxing vibe. My room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Enjoyed breakfast which offered various options to begin my morning. Look forward to my return when im in town.
Chianti — Google review
The service we received was horrible. They made my wife run around over parking. We checked in last night told parking was $30 ok. The receptionist told me it was cheaper with them, and I’m thinking great. Received the bill still $30. So my wife leaves and when she gets the exit it asks her to pay. Why are we paying if you already charged us. She had to get off and go inside and no one told her she needed to validate it. A big mess and waste of time

I wasn't able to make my reservation due to issues with my flight. I called the hotel and they agreed to waive the cancellation fee. They ended up charging me anyway. I called to ask about it, and was told to call back. I called back and they said they'd take care of it. I waited over ten days and the fee was never reversed. Each time I try to call they leave me on hold for a half hour. I was really excited to stay here but even if I come back to the area I don't think I will.

I have been a Marriott Bonvoy member for over 15 years. As of today, I have stayed over 40 nights per year at Marriott Bonvoy. This hotel AC is the worst hotel in the entire Marriott chain. 1. The hotel is in terrible shape. First room when I checked in, the water in the bathtub did not work. 2. Switch to a 2nd room, the AC did not work. Apparently, several guests have complained. 3. This is a very dangerous hotel. Due to the cheap rates, it attracts terrible guests that make loud noises in the midnight. 4. Hotel charges additional premium for parking when you can park at the same lot for less than $10.00. 5. Hotel Management are not trained. PLEASE DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL
Patrick L — Google review
Pros: modern hotel that’s nicely designed, great location that’s walkable to restaurants Cons: parking is $30 a day and has a complex parking system, pillows were not fluffy at all and bed isn’t that comfortable, has no lounge which is disappointing at this price point, small gym

Hotel De Anza, a Destination by Hyatt Hotel, is a sleek and historic Art Deco-era lodging located in downtown San Jose. It offers stylishly designed rooms with amenities such as free Wi-Fi, docking stations, plush robes, and mini refrigerators. The hotel features an award-winning Italian restaurant, a casual cafe, and the Hedley Club for live jazz and craft cocktails.
This hotel was really nice. The rooms are updated and we'll appointed. Halls and lobby were all in great shape and remodeled. The staff was very nice and easy to work with. They have drinks and snacks at the front desk and we're always ready to answer questions. I had them hold a bag as I got in early and they tagged it and kept it right in the area behind the front desk. Felt very safe. The area around the hotel felt very safe. Easy walk to the Convention Center along with restaurants nearby. The room was very comfortable. Bed was good, lots of pillows. There was an in room redrigerator. The shower had pump bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash, no tiny, useless travel bottles. TV was flat screen with plenty of channels. Overall, I would highly recommend the Hotel De Anza for your next stay in San Jose.

I highly recommend Hotel De Anza for business and pleasure travelers. Five stars all around!

I had a very negative experience at this hotel. * Manager Behavior: The manager, Renee, was extremely unprofessional and abusive during my stay. I felt unsafe and disrespected. * Financial Issues: I was significantly overcharged on my credit card, which I believe was intentional. * Room Conditions: The room was in a deplorable state: extremely dirty, with a foul odor. * Customer Service: The overall customer service was appalling. Renee's behavior was unacceptable and created a hostile environment. I strongly advise against staying at this hotel. It was a truly unpleasant and distressing experience.

The hardest pillows and bed I’ve ever encountered at a hotel. I only slept 4 hours as a result. The pillows are extremely lumpy and hard whether you are a side sleeper or back sleeper. I don’t understand why a hotel doesn’t just purchase new pillows. Why would you make your guests endure this? Service was also poor. The room did not have soap or tissue upon check-in. I asked for these items at the front desk and arranged delivery. Arrived back to my room later that evening to discover the items were never delivered. The person at the desk then tried to help by giving me a bag of random items (coffee stirrers, toothpaste, beauty kits, etc) but zero of the items I asked for. The facility is also a little antiqued as the room only had one electrical outlet. This is one of the worst stays I’ve had in years. I sadly paid extra for this hotel because the art deco pictures online looked so appealing. I do not recommend this hotel at all. I wish I could get a refund or at least partial refund for the loss of sleep.

Hotel De Anza is a fantastic place to stay in San Jose. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean and stylish, and the location is perfect—walking distance to downtown, SAP Center, and great restaurants. The Art Deco charm gives it a unique vibe, and the lounge is a great spot to relax with a drink. Highly recommend for both business and leisure travelers!

The Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott San Jose Airport is a great place to stay if you're looking for all the amenities that a hotel could offer. It has a gym and an outdoor pool, and there's also free breakfast included. The hotel is located off Bay 101 Casino, making it easy to get to wherever you're going.
I can make it short. Room was great, really big for that good price. Bed was very comfortable and quiet, everything was clean and the stuff was friendly. Means everything as expected. Breakfast was a typical complementary breakfast and for me totally okay. There was a bit of everything. I used the gym, which was equipped with modern, should be new equipment. It was very nice to use. Just as info the parking lot is perfect and you can park almost at your room and in the surrounding area you will find everything to „survive“.

Fairfield Inn Suites is my home away from home when im in San Jose. I absolutely love staying at this hotel! The staff is super amazing! I've been greeted and assisted by a great front desk staff which includes, Anthony, Edward, Ben, Anna, Ken & Maii! Always positive vibes & extremely hospitable and welcoming. The housekeeping staff is also amazing! Always hard working & ready to assist with any requests. To name a few; Edgar Jorge, Danny, Daniel & all of the ladies are extremely nice. The breakfast staff is also amazing, making sure everything is fully stocked, fresh and warm and also making u feel welcome. The breakfast is awesome and includes several options like yogurt, cereals, fruits, eggs, breakfast sides, juices, hot chocolate, tea bags, and even a station to make your own waffles! Lots of lovely spots to sit at and enjoy ur breakfast meal. The pool & jacuzzi area are my favorite because its like a resort! Palm trees, lots of lounge areas & tables to sit at and enjoy a meal or just sit in Peace. Since I've stayed at this hotel for over 2 years now, I've gotten to stay in several different rooms & they are all extremely nice and comfortable! My favorite part is the balcony! The Suites are beautiful and extremely comfortable! The beds are firm but very cozy. The couches are very nice looking & comfortable also. The bathrooms are very nice and clean & come with essentials. Casino Matrix & Bay 101 are nearby including several different restaurants by the hotel (literally in the same shopping center) which is also extremely convenient. Parking areas are well lit & super convenient and I feel my vehivle is always safe due to Security that walks around & the tall gentleman (sorry didnt catch his name) that drives the shuttle is always very friendly and helpful. I appreciate all the staff behind the scenes as well! Great job to everyone! Fairfield Inn is my favorite place to stay when in San Jose!

Nice hotel. Despite the proximity of busy highways (101, 87) and the airport, my room on the ground floor was pretty quiet. Room was clean and equipped with modern furniture. Good breakfast buffet and heated swimming pool. There are a few eateries you can walk to nearby. Friendly staff greeting customers walking by.

Nice, clean, contemporary hotel. It shares space in a strip mall-ish lot on the corner so the area around it is cramped. Although it has a good variety of food places literally in front of the hotel that you have the convenience of walking straight to. The lot is dimly lit at night so I didn't like that. Otherwise I generally felt safer in the day. There was a homeless guy loitering around both days who would stare at us, which made me slightly uncomfortable. It's right off a big intersection which I don't prefer. However it is close to SJ airport and freeway access. Parking and breakfast are complimentary. The breakfast buffet was just ok for the hot items. Standard fare for a breakfast buffet but still appreciated. We would stay again.

Traveled to San Jose with no time to plan for a room. I have stayed at Fairfield by Marriott before so I decided to stay at this hotel because of its location near the airport. It was the best decision I made, this Fairfield did not disappoint. Very clean, walking distance for food and gas station with a little market. Easy to access highways and close to restaurants and shopping. I will stay here again. Rates were very reasonable and I extended my stay to stay a Friday night and the rate was actually lower, BONUS!

Let’s face it, Fairfield’s are hits or misses. Fairfield’s near the airport are almost guaranteed to be a miss. This hotel? Total friggin HIT! Comfortable bed, clean room, decent breakfast, nice staff, good location. There’s a real nice burger and pizza joint in the parking lot if you’re hungry. And if you need some suds there’s a convenient convenience store adjacent.

The Kasa The Row San Jose is a great option for travelers who are looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay in the heart of the city. Offering stunning rooms and suites, as well as wonderful amenities like jetted tubs in every room, this hotel is perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy all that San Jose has to offer.
my first time staying in san jose and this hotel was pretty cool. the price was very worth it for how long i was staying. also nice that it was close to the airport for when i checked out. the room was very spacious. caught me off guard that the sink and the bathroom were separate. i stayed in the 1 king bed and it had a lot of room. our room was cleaned everyday and never interfered with the workers asking us how much more time we needed for it to be cleaned.

Best Hotel Stay in San Jose! I can honestly say The Row Hotel has been the best hotel stay I’ve ever had. From the moment you walk in, the ambience is calming, everything is spotless, and the staff (especially the owner and housekeeping) are so friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is delicious with plenty of variety, and I love that a variety of tea, coffee, and lemon water are available all day. The lounge is one of my favorite spots—it’s so peaceful to sit and relax, and there’s even a big table with outlets that’s perfect for work meetups. What I really appreciate is that everyone respects each other’s space, which makes the whole atmosphere even more comfortable. Some reviews mention noise, but in my two-week stay it has been 99.99% quiet. I only once heard someone briefly passing by my room talking during lunchtime and never from adjoining rooms. For me, it’s been the most restful hotel experience ever. The location is convenient (walking distance to O’Connor Hospital and near the mall), parking is spacious and underground, the beds are super comfy, and the hotel itself feels very new and modern—even with YouTube on the TV! I’ve stayed at many hotels, but I’ve never felt this comfortable anywhere else. This place truly deserves every bit of a five-star rating. I will definitely stay here again.

This was probably the creepiest hotel I have ever stayed at. The “jetted jacuzzi tub” was in the most unsettling bathroom I have ever seen. It was the perfect mix of antiseptic white and grungy. It seemed like a great place to have your organs harvested. The person at the front desk was on a video screen. The room door didn’t latch properly. The parking garage downstairs was unsecured. The walls were paper thin and even with earplugs I could hear the sound of drag racing (?) on the street outside as soon as the sun went down and people coming back to their rooms at 4 am and blasting the TV. Every single time we left our room in the morning housekeeping was hovering outside our door and would repeatedly ask us if we were checking out yet. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I stayed at The Row San Jose, BW Signature Collection and honestly, it was such a great experience. The best part for me was the location — it’s super walkable to the hospital, plus there are tons of restaurants and the mall right nearby, which made things so convenient. The hotel itself felt really clean, modern, and comfortable. My room was quiet and cozy, exactly what I needed to relax. The staff was also really friendly and welcoming, which made the whole stay feel even better. If you’re looking for a spot that’s comfortable, stress-free, and close to everything, I’d definitely recommend The Row. I’ll absolutely stay here again next time I’m in San Jose.

Great location close to shopping, restaurants and about a 5 minute drive to the Winchester house. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly. Keys are not provided - instead it is a passcode sent to your email. Worked fine for us. They have a small snack area where you can get water and other goodies. Parking is tight, under the hotel, but there was plenty of spots when we went.

I stayed here for 2 nights. On the good side, the place was clean, lots of support staff, cleaning, doing housekeeping stuff. Everytime I went out of the room I always saw someone doing something. The check in is done with a remote person but again very friendly and very easy process. The room was clean as in nothing was obviously bad. Somethings were a bit outdated but again not really a big deal. Its all keyless, so make sure you remember the code or have your phone on you as the code is emailed when you check in. Breakfast was ok, nothing fancy but again decent and nothing really to complain about. There was coffee, cereal, some hot items, and a decent bread selection. Overall it's a great value and I would not mind staying here again.
Mizanur R — Google review
For the reviews displayed for this place, I’m surprised that the floor tiles are coming up in the room, and there are wall patches that aren’t sanded and painted. I’m also not even sure what this thing in the floor is. One of the 2 beds in our room is totally broken, the mattress is crushed and the entire thing tilts to one side- it’s unusable. We had to switch rooms, staff were good about it and quick. 2nd room was carpeted and better overall. Still would not revisit.
G L — Google review
There wasn't a person physically at the check-in counter, it's basically a weird Zoom call where they're just sitting there on a TV screen. The connection was not good and took me a while to get the email then they tried to print it out for me and they didn't print it right and then they were freezing when they were telling me about the hotel and how to access my room. I told him they were frozen and I didn't understand what they said they just kept talking and completely ignored me like he just wanted to be done with me and get me out of there. The rooms were okay but one of the fire sprinklers in the room was pretty rusted. The beds aren't very comfortable they didn't feel even. It was a decent location close to everything that we were planning on doing is the only good thing. There was a stain on the room floor and the breakfast really wasn't that great.

The Residence Inn San Jose Airport is a polished hotel offering relaxed suites with free breakfast, a restaurant/bar, and an outdoor pool. The hotel provides spacious rooms with great amenities such as AC/heater units and fully equipped kitchens. It's conveniently located just 3 minutes from Mineta San Jose International Airport and offers a grocery delivery service for guests. The staff is friendly and professional, providing exceptional service from check-in to housekeeping.
I had the pleasure of interacting with the front desk attendant during the 1 pm shift today, and I must say, she provided exceptional service. Upon my early arrival, only a few rooms were available, so I was assigned a room on the first floor. However, due to years of sleep issues, I found the street noise and lobby activities disruptive. When I requested a room change to a quieter upper level, she patiently explained that options were limited. Nonetheless, she went above and beyond to accommodate me, finding a much quieter room. Her professionalism and empathy were truly commendable. This level of service is truly top-notch!

Excellent hotel. This is my second time staying here and it has always been a perfect experience. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and very clean. The staff is friendly and professional at all times. Everything works perfectly — I will definitely keep choosing this place for my future visits.

So my wife and I are both Bonvoy Platinum members and we usually come each month to SJC for work for about week. We stay at this hotel every time. The staff are super friendly, the breakfast buffet has something for everyone. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. The location is great, especially when you want to catch that early morning flight home. The only reason I gave the rooms 4stars, the decor is a little dark for my taste, and the bathroom lighting is darker than I would like, especially in the shower. Highly recommend this hotel and hopefully they make some small tweaks to make it perfect!

4 months ago my family and neighbors stayed here for 3 months due to our apartments flooding we all had an amazing time. I came back yesterday for a few nights due to my apartment needing more work and we were greeted so nice and loving . Only complaint is that around 8 or 9bsomeone was cooking a stake and made the fire alarms go off ..steak should only need allowed on the bbq pits. Besides someone's stupidity its amazing here love it

Impressed: Best breakfast I've had from a non-resort hotel. They had good options and they all tasted great. They even offered cold brew. Not impressed: Check in desk lady was unfriendly.

Room has stains on the floor when I walked in. Nice setup with fridge and drive but no plates and no cutlery. How are you supposed to use the stove? Coffee pot was supposed to be a full size coffee pot but min was one of those crappy motel 6 one cup coffee makers. Breakfast was ok if you didn’t eat the baked goods or cereal. My cereal was expired and the English muffin was like a hockey puck. Eggs and self made waffles were good. Room was nice and quiet though so appreciated that. Of your looking for long term stay, this is not the place. Otherwise it’s nice.

Our toilette did not work correctly the entire time we were there; sometimes it would flush sometimes it wouldnt. Not a big deal until the last day when we tried to flush the toilette and it overflowed even though there wasn't anything in there that would have caused it to overflow. We called housekeeping to help clean up the mess and left the hotel for the majority of the day. When we got back to our room we noticed that the restroom had been "cleaned" but the room still smelled like sewage. We had a feeling that while housekeeping had picked up the towels in the restroom they hadn't sanitized the area, so we went down to the lobby to ask. Sure enough the front desk confirmed that they had NOT sanitized the room and offered to send someone up for us. We ended up just packing up our stuff after we realized whoever "cleaned" the bathroom the first time had tracked human waste throughout our carpeted room while they were there. It was super disgusting to think about how if we were barefoot we would have been stepping in all that. And for the cherry on top, after all that happened the General Manager of the hotel reached out to me and on FOUR seperate occasions offered to give me a call or pick up if I were to call her. And on ALL four occasions she failed to call or pick up at the scheduled time. Really unprofessional GM and some of her disrespectful staff were the same way. Location was good though! Right next to major freeways and some solid food options in the area.

Rooms are dated but cozy. Body wash, shampoo and conditioner in shower. Love that there is a tub. Sheet pans in kitchen would be great. Pool is nice and clean. Awesome bbq area! The pool towels are TINY!! I’m a small person and I needed 3!

Rude staff, coming to work like they bring personal problems from home. I arrived on the 1st around 12 or so and there was a young girl at the front desk. Inquired about early check in and this girl was so rude from her response of "yes" when I greeted good morning and tried informing her of my check in. Then I informed her about my check in, she immediately replied without looking "We have no rooms", I understand check in is at 3 but that wasn't the purpose of me coming to the front desk to begin with but since she brought it I then gave her my name and then asked her if I could sit and wait. Not even less than 10mins there was room Terrible experience for such a place. The room smelled like someone just cooked.

Very quiet and beautiful place. Easy check in. Friendly and engaging staff. The only thing for me personally would be the TV was really small and the white plastic cutting board in the kitchen was very yellow.

This is a very tired property. It is far beyond the time it needed updating. My room was truly worn out. The sink bowl and the bath tub work and look badly damaged. The tub has many places in the porcelain that are chipped and rusted. Lastly, why is there still a bathtub and not a shower?? Truly an old and worn place
Dan T — Google review
I had a disappointing stay at Residence Inn San Jose South. We were in Morgan Hill for my son’s Soccer tournament. At check-in, the front desk wasn’t helpful or solution driven when I didn’t have my physical ID (due to a recent car accident) and only after asking for a Manager was I told I could verify through the DMV app. Once in the room, the bedding had a questionable stain. When I asked the front desk to change of sheets, I was told the only option was to do it myself since housekeeping was gone for the day. Also, the shower had hair and even mosquitoes inside, and one of the kitchen lights was broken. I also wasn’t offered the complimentary water or goodie bag that other guests normally receive at check in. At the pool, there were no towels available and they weren’t replenished. Overall, the lack of cleanliness and unsanitary conditions made the stay extremely uncomfortable. I was offered a free stay in the future, but I don’t feel comfortable returning. After speaking to Booking.com, they were able to provide me with a refund but that’s not enough to make up for the terrible time I experience at this location.

I had a very disappointing experience at the Marriott San Jose. The customer service was poor—staff were rude and unfriendly. When I was clearly struggling because my child has a disability, none of the recent staff members were willing to help. Kathy, the receptionist, was particularly unhelpful and unprofessional. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this hotel. The service does not meet even basic expectations.

Quality Inn San Jose Airport/Silicon Valley offers a welcoming and comfortable stay for travelers seeking convenience without the frills. Guests have enjoyed cozy, clean rooms and a complimentary breakfast that is consistently replenished by attentive staff. One standout experience was with Jackie Lopez, whose warm demeanor and willingness to assist made guests feel right at home. While the hotel is located near a busy street with ongoing construction, many found that the friendly atmosphere and reasonable rates more than compensated for any minor inconveniences.
Very clean, professional and friendly place to stay. We were there 13 days and we had no issues. We used the laundry room & were able to get quarters from the front desk. The machines worked well. The breakfast was filling & always full. The housekeeping was every other day, but we were good with that too.

I recently stayed at the Quality Inn and had a very pleasant experience overall. From the moment I arrived, the front desk staff greeted me warmly and made the check-in process quick and smooth. They were friendly, professional, and always available to answer questions or provide recommendations about the local area. The room was spacious, clean, and well-kept. The bed was very comfortable with fresh linens, and I appreciated the little details like extra pillows, a coffee maker, and reliable Wi-Fi. The bathroom was spotless and stocked with basic toiletries, which made my stay more convenient. Housekeeping did a wonderful job maintaining everything during my visit. The hotel also offers a complimentary breakfast, which had a good variety of options including hot items, cereals, fruit, and fresh coffee. It was a great way to start the day without having to go out early in the morning. I also liked the quiet atmosphere throughout the hotel, which made it easy to relax after a long day of travel.

Hyatt House San Jose Airport is a refined airport hotel offering a variety of accommodations with free Wi-Fi, a gym, and a pool. Situated just minutes away from the Santa Clara Convention Center and the Levi's Football Stadium, this vibrant hotel provides easy access to the airport and light rail. While some rooms may experience noise from trains and roads, the staff is friendly and accommodating.
I have been stationed in San Jose for work for the past six weeks, and having stayed at several hotels in the area, I will now ONLY ever return to the Hyatt House San Jose Airport — the hotel service and cleanliness is a cut above the rest! Jose, the supervisor at the Front Desk, saved the day when my coworker and I had to leave another hotel early due to a homeless encampment outside and some related safety issues. Jose also had his colleague Cecilia help us to secure rooms at the last minute so that we could continue to work despite the unexpected move from another hotel. We were able to check in early with a same-day booking, to park both of our vehicles and were even upgraded to a room with a great view! The Hyatt House is incredibly clean inside of the rooms and throughout the hotel, and maintenance is very proactive. The maid service and handymen can be regularly seen getting ahead of any small issues on the outside of the building, and staff at all levels of management are committed to running this operation smoothly. They even have a QR code that helps to ensure that guests are able to show their appreciation for specific members of staff, which also keeps the hotel atmosphere cheery. The rooms are spacious and the kitchens are well-endowed, with a toaster oven and a microwave, as well as a full set of dishware and silverware. The dishwasher, dishwashing detergent and dish soap as well as a Scrub Mommy sponge are provided. The hotel has thought of everything, with a corkscrew and a dishtowel waiting for the guest upon entry to the kitchen. Some suites are equipped with full size refrigerators and freezers, and all suites have in-unit temperature control on a thermostat. The bathrooms are modern, clean, and the water is hot at all times of day. The hotel is safe and very close to PayPal Corporate Park, as well as the SJC airport. It is clear why this hotel is so often booked entirely out, and I highly recommend that you snag a room here if you are considering a stay in San Jose. Online many of the hotels look quite similar, but take it from me, the Hyatt House San Jose Airport is the best hotel you can find in this area!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fantastic Stay at Hyatt House San Jose Airport! I had a wonderful experience at Hyatt House San Jose Airport. The suite was spotless, spacious, and thoughtfully designed with both comfort and convenience in mind. The bedroom was cozy, with a comfortable bed, crisp linens, and large windows that let in plenty of natural light. The living and kitchen area was a real highlight — having a full kitchenette with modern appliances and a spacious island made it feel like a home away from home. It was perfect for relaxing, working, or enjoying a meal in. The bathroom was sleek and modern, featuring a large glass-enclosed shower, plenty of counter space, and fresh towels neatly organized. Everything felt fresh, clean, and well maintained. I also appreciated the overall layout of the suite — from the sitting area to the workspace and smart TV setup, it struck the right balance between relaxation and functionality. On top of the room itself, the location near the airport was incredibly convenient, and the staff were friendly and welcoming, making check-in and my stay seamless. I highly recommend this hotel for both business and leisure travelers — it offers comfort, style, and value all in one. I’ll definitely be staying here again next time I’m in San Jose!

In A Nutshell: -This Hyatt House is a great place to stay if you are traveling through the South Bay. -I really, really felt welcomed here by all of the staff, everyone had a friendly smile. -I wanted to highlight Cecilia whom I asked a few questions & she took the time to call a couple of managers to figure out the answer to my question. -That is going above & beyond what you normally get from customer service in the USA, which is sad to say. -As an Explorist, I was able to have a nice late check-out, get a free room upgrade & free parking for one night. -Those are valuable perks & I am love my Hyatt membership. -The breakfast buffet is really good, the only thing missing is some veggies as an option. -I always love the beds at Hyatt's & also the blackout shades so you can sleep really well. Overall, I highly recommend staying at this Hyatt House near the SJC airport.

Nice rooms for a short or extended stay. Clean and comfortable. Great layout with the bathroom and bed tucked to a side. Kitchenette was a great plus. Large bathroom and shower. Very quiet. Got the start with parking deal but if you don't, you have to pay for parking after your first night.

We received excellent service from Cecelia at the front desk. Because we had to wait longer than expected for our room to be ready, she offered and comp'd us free parking. That was so generous of her since parking was quite pricey for a hotel guest. Thank you Cecelia for your excellent customer care!

I had booked this hotel for a two-day work trip. On arrival, I was told that due to maintenance on one of the floors, they couldn’t give me a room. I ended up waiting 15 minutes while they checked with their manager, and another 15 minutes while they arranged a cab because all of their vehicles were busy. During this entire time, no one asked me to sit down, offered me water, or even apologized. The reception staff looked busy and completely indifferent. Even the manager, who walked through to approve my transfer to another hotel, didn’t acknowledge me. They assured me that both nights of my stay would be covered, but the form they gave me showed only one night. I was told they had spoken with the other property’s manager and that everything was “fine.” When I checked in at DoubleTree by Hilton, they only gave me a room for one night and offered to extend my stay for the second night at 75% of the Hyatt rate I had already paid. Naturally, I asked Hyatt to resolve this. At checkout, Hilton still hadn’t received proper documents and charged my card for one night. The Hyatt manager told me they would refund me. I waited 5–7 days, but no refund appeared. After multiple follow-ups over two weeks, Hyatt never refunded me—instead, Hilton eventually reversed the charge, which took another week. From start to finish, the staff and managers remained unapologetic, dismissive, and uninterested in resolving the situation properly. For a brand like Hyatt, this was an extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience. Edit: I booked through expedia and this hotel came recommended and highly rated. I should have checked Google reviews, it seems there are running a scam almost. Overbooking, overcharging and downgrades are common here. I suppose I am lucky to have gotten the stay at downgraded place and my refund. Also expedia seems to block my review despite a legit booking.

My family and I stayed 2 nights at this hotel , The first night was horrible. Everything was fine until I woke up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, when I turned the light on In the bathroom there were small roaches running around! I seen about 6 and killed about 3! I immediately called front desk, they then sent over housekeeping to investigate as if I’d lie about something like that at midnight with a toddler smh! When housekeeping got there I showed them the roaches I killed ,they seen for themselves . So they moved us to a different downgraded room at midnight Not to mention they asked us to come down and get the key for the new room! Not once did they offer help to move 4 people! Anyway when we arrived to the new room it was hot and the AC did not work! So once again another issue at almost 1am at this point , I called front desk they then downgraded my room to an even more smaller room. When I asked them if I was still being charged the same price for the room I initially booked they said yes and there was nothing they could do about the price difference . The only thing they offered was points! I couldn’t believe it . I will not stay here again ! I will say the last room they moved us to had no bugs and the air worked.

This casual yet modern hotel is perfect for both business and leisure travelers alike. With its inviting bistro/bar, outdoor pool, hot tub, and well-equipped gym, you'll find plenty of ways to unwind after a busy day.
Very nice. The seating area with fold out couch and extra bedding in room was a very nice touch. Close proximity to Levis stadium. Pro tip- no ride share services for 1 hour within a 2 mile proximity of Levisstadium. Would've been nice to know before the end of the concert. This is in no way the fault of the hotel. This location will definitely get our repeat business.

Clean, professional, and friendly staff, excellent breakfast. Dropping 1 star due to the thermostat automatically resetting to default once a day. And the fact a commuter train runs every so often and blows the horn at a nearby crossing (if your room is facing toward the track, you can hear it very clearly). My room had a sound machine (white noise) and it helped. Overall I would recommend this place and would stay again.

The hotel is really nice and feels like a safe location. The breakfast was really good. But.... I would recommend to not use the hot tub. When we got out of the hot tub two of my daughters bathing suits where bleached, my daughter just bought a brand new expensive bathing suit for our vacation and it was ruined after the hot tub. We all felt like we were breathing in bleach the whole time.

Booked this hotel last minute for an overnight stay. Check-in was quick and easy, and we were given a room close to the elevator on the first floor, which we preferred. The room itself was smaller than what we usually get here (we’ve stayed multiple times and the rooms are typically very spacious), but since we were only there a few hours to sleep, it worked fine. The hotel itself is very clean and welcoming. The lobby has a nice seating area, plus a business section with computers and printing access. They offer complimentary breakfast with a good spread—eggs, sausage, oatmeal, toast, muffins, yogurt, etc.—and it was all fresh and tasty. The only downside was waking up with several bites on my neck. Not sure if they were mosquito bites or something else, but I reported it right away. The manager was very responsive and explained their cleaning process and monthly checks, which reassured me. I’ve stayed here many times and never had this issue before, so I mainly wanted to make them aware. I also took precautions with my luggage just to be safe. Aside from that, everything else was excellent. Parking is plentiful and free, with lots of space for trucks, trailers, or larger vehicles. The hotel also has great amenities an outdoor pool, gym, tennis court, and even a basketball court, which I thought was a fun extra. Overall, a great stay as usual just hoping the bite issue was a one-off.

I am staying here tonight. The rooms are nice, and so is the hotel. However, the AC doesn't work in room 158. The first time I reported it they said they would bring a fan. It was 85° in my room. I opened the window. The temperature did go down to 82 but there was no cold air coming from the vent. The maintenance man came and he switched it to Celsius I asked him to feel the vent there was no cold air. He said to let the front desk know if it doesn't work. I let them know and they brought a fan. I really wish to have a room with a working AC. It is hot and uncomfortable. I'm not going to ask because one of my kids are asleep. The fan makes a difference but it is loud and I have a 2 year old that keeps trying to stick his fingers in it. It is almost 12 am. Would have been nice if someone would have just admitted the AC didn't work and fixed the issue hours ago.

Loved our stay here. We had an issue with one of the rooms we booked because the AC was not working and they quickly moved us to another room. The breakfast was so delicious and everyday it was different. The rooms we spot clean and there was a train that passed by but nothing crazy. I will come back to stay here.

Had a great stay here. The rooms were spacious and clean. The best part was the breakfast was one of the best free breakfasts I've had. There was a lot of variety, and everything was fresh.

*BEWARE* This establishment would not refund after I canceled even though I am a titanium member which allows me to cancel anytime. I reached out to management of the hotel and they didn’t even have the decency to call me back. I even reached out to corporate and they said there is nothing they can do. Stay down the road at the Hilton it is nicer and the management is very accommodating.

Room interior has been recently updated. Different from the Google pics. We had room with vinyl wood floor, queen beds with white comforter. We booked here last minute with no problems, our last hotel had too much dust which caused us allergy problems. But here, the allergies went away. The room was very clean. Place seems family owned. Staff was attentive and friendly. Mostly quiet. Some noise from the busy street intersection. But not all was perfect: Desk lamp didn't work. Shower curtain had a small tear. Their WiFi's password didnt work. There's another free WiFi in bldg but it is unsecured and suspicious. No elevators. No lobbies - just an office window like your typical motel. So schedule your checkout and ride arrival. Saw a man check out and just stood in parking lot with his bags waiting for his ride. Not sure about the safety of area, but they have lots of cameras. Overall, it was a good value and I would recommend them.

I cannot express how amazing and comfortable this place is. I love the staff which is a family based business very prompt, and friendly people. Helped me and my daughter in every way possible to feel welcomed and appreciated. Wish I would have continued my stay but unfortunately my time was up. I highly recommend this place very family oriented.

The towels had some black stains on them, hard mattress was uncomfortable, pillows were also very hard like cement, when I walked into the bathroom it smelt like a drain or a sewer leak, the staff weren't very accommodating, The carpet was super dirty with pieces of food around the corners in the room Low water pressure from the sink, Unfortunately I couldn't find something in this hotel that made me a little pleased. After a long drive and a late night check in, the minimum they could have done I felt was extend the offer for a late checkout but the representative was rude and hung up the phone on me telling me no. Don't let the remodeled look of the rooms online fool you

This place was awful. We got in late at 2am and just wanted to get in a bed. The lady at the counter (no lobby, just an outside glass screen) was incredibly grumpy, but we figured it was since it was late but she definitely tried to make us feel bad for it. We got to our room and it was DISGUSTING! I’ve stayed at some gross places over the years and this was horrifying. The comforter was literally sticky with lord knows what, there were long hairs on the pillows, and the sheets had stains, clearly slept in and not changed. The bathroom was repulsive; they didn’t change the toilet paper, the towels had stains, and there was gunk in the shower. We literally went and got our emergency towels from the car and stripped the bed entirely and slept on our towels. But due to our earlier encounter and the time of day, we didn’t dare go downstairs. The next morning we went downstairs to ask for at least a partial refund and I was APALLED at how rudely we were treated. They told us we should have come woke them up at 2am again, didn’t even apologize for the horrible accommodations and pretty much told us that it wasn’t their problem. No one should ever stay here. It was honestly revolting.

Restaurant
Hacienda Mexican Kitchen is a fantastic spot to enjoy a refreshing beer and indulge in a generous serving of shrimp. The Botano plate, designed to satisfy four people, showcases an assortment of shrimp prepared in various delectable ways, accompanied by crisp cucumber, sweet pineapple, and zesty orange slices. This delightful combination is perfect for hot days spent with friends. Moreover, the restaurant offers delicious cuisine at reasonable prices.
Used to go a lot when it was Mexico City. Finally went in today to try their cheese and bran burrito. Just one of my tests along with a taste of the Chili Verde. If they don't taste good, then not interested in the restaurant. I must admit that the burrito was pretty good and nicely priced. Did not try the Chili Verde but had some of their Chili Verde sauce on the side and it was quite tasty. Will need to try their menudo which is available every day,(yeah)!

Had the molcajete de carne and the mole oaxaqueño. The molcajete was amazing with great flavor in the sauce and worthy of returning just for this. The mole was good but nothing special. Chicken portion in mole was light. Overall good experience.

Only con was the music was too loud. The salsa with the chips was fantastic. A bit of heat and a slight smokiness. Added a bit to my rice too. So good. The mole looked good and I found the Emmoladas De Pollo on the menu. I didn’t want a mole plate and this was perfect. The mole was delicious and smothered the fully filled stuffed chicken in rolled tortilla (think enchiladas). And yes, the mole was delicious. We had margaritas. Asked for no salt but came with coarse salted rim. Unfortunately, the salt infiltrated margarita. Didn’t love it. Without the salt it was fine. Wish there was some craft beer. I could see my disc golf buddies stopping by one or two times a week for some tacos or burritos and craft beers. Also, not. Over all, this is a great restaurant with great food and friendly service. We will be back.

This is one of the best underground spots I've ever visited. The food is great and the prices are more than affordable. They have a live guitar player (Sunday's.) The parking is not so good seeing the location is on a peninsula, but still doable. I would definitely visit again.

Take out order for dinner. Got a delicious wet burrito(burrito mojado) with red and green sauce 😁, it's saucy and spicy, a burrito chile verde, and hand made tortillas taco asada. My order came with 3 different salsa, that I don't know the name, but they are all good. It's my first time ordering here and definitely will try again. Update 3/6/21. Ordering by phone the second time today. Asking for the same burrito mojado with half red sauce and half green sauce but they cannot do it because they are busy. Tonight is my second time requesting burrito chile colorado, but again, they don't have it including along with the taco de barbacoa. I suggest an update of the menu on the website.

The Radisson just took over this Motel 6. The service at the desk was ok, but the room is gross. Stains on walls, dingy towels with hairs on them and just overall dirty. Beds suck, and after looking at the rest of the room I'm afraid to look under the covers. I'll just sleep on top of the blanket and leave the bed made. The pool actually looks decent and it's quiet so far. At least they have working plumbing which my house doesn't for tonight which is why I'm here. God I hope the plumber can get my house plumbing fixed tomorrow, this place sucks but at least I have a toilet and shower. Good things are it's pet friendly and it's cheap. They have signs saying they are gonna be refreshing the property, they're gonna have a lot of refreshing to do. 😆😆

Hotel Valencia Santana Row is a stylish and romantic 4-star hotel located in the heart of San Jose. It offers luxury accommodations with special packages for couples, including amenities like wine, chocolate-covered strawberries, and breakfast in bed with mimosas. The hotel features an outdoor pool, a rooftop bar, and an upmarket restaurant. Its prime location at Santana Row provides easy access to shopping and dining options. Additionally, the hotel welcomes pets with special amenities such as doggy beds and treats.
I stayed in Hotel Valencia 2 times now: the first for my birthday and the second time for the night of my wedding. This hotel is like a mini getaway, a staycation that was much needed as I reside in Santa Clara County. The ambience, the decor/aesthetic, the view out the window, the care and service from the employees, the amenities and activities (many restaurants, bars, a spa, and shops) so easily accessible… Everything was wonderful, and I highly recommend staying here! If you’re visiting from a different city or just want a day’s worth of break from reality, this is the place to stay 💖 A huge shout out to Bonnie for being great with his service and care!

The manager Scott Dolan is doing a great job at this beautiful establishment. You can sense that his presence as manager of high-quality is emulated through his employees. The customer service was excellent. The food was wonderful. We had tapas from Oveja Negra, which was over the top superb. our server, Riccardo gave excellent customer service and made us feel welcome and was very attentive to all of our request. Chef Pedro came out to welcome us and we thanked him for the excellent food and we’re blessed and graced with his amazing basket cheesecake for dessert I have never in my life tasted a better Basque cheesecake and my family is from the Basque region in Spain. Overall, excellent excellent excellent!!!

My stay at this hotel was very underwhelming. Im not a fan of this place at all and I can only say my stay was bearable. Let’s start with the entrance. Slow elevators from the outside to get to the lobby. I asked to use the steps, I was told steps were not an option. At night, the hotel is a club. So the entrance is loud with a long line and a bouncer outside asking for my room key. I kid you not, after the longest wait for the elevator, when it finally came 100 loud/drunk people must of gotten off the elevator. It was like a cartoon show. I was disturbed. The rooms are spacious but 100% not that clean. Hotels with carpet often lack a level of cleanliness in general and this was no different. The rooms are in need of a deep clean it was just places in the corners and underneath the furniture that made this clear. Room service wasn’t the best. The Breakfast food was cool. However the lunch lacked healthy options and flavor. I opted to do outside food delivery but this was inconvenient because of the entrance and no fridge space. Side note. I recently stopped drinking alcohol, I called to have the fully stocked bar in my room removed. No one came. The best thing about this hotel were the window shades, the robes and the rooftop pool. The walls are thin and I could hear everything from the hallway and the breathing of other hotel guests. Im glad I was only here two nights. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel nor would I stay here again. The location was nice. I was able to walk around in an aesthetically pleasing area and check out cute shops. Thats about it.

We are from the Bay Area but on our way back from Carmel we decided to stay a night at the beautiful Valencia hotel. We were greeted with such warmth and joyful energy by the amazing Odalys! She not only gave us a beautiful room but left a surprise in the room for us as well! I’ll add picture so you all can see it on my post! Lastly, she made sure that our stay was everything we hoped it would be! I wish I could clone an individual like Odalys because there are far and few people in this world like her! We are already looking forward to our next visit there thanks to her amazing hospitality ! Also want to shout out Kared and Randall as well! They are truly all standout staff and hope they get rewarded for their kindness and thoughtfulness! 🫶🏽

Hotel Valencia at Santana Row is a truly beautiful place — elegant design, spotless rooms, and the perfect location right in the heart of Santana Row. The atmosphere feels calm and upscale, and the staff are very friendly, professional, and welcoming, which makes the stay even better. Everything from the lobby to the rooftop terrace feels stylish and well maintained. The only thing I’d recommend is replacing the mattresses — they’re clean but could be more comfortable for such a high-end hotel. Aside from that, it’s an excellent stay overall. I’d definitely return and recommend it to anyone visiting San Jose who wants comfort, style, and great service in one place.
Olga N — Google review
Absolutely Terrible — One of the Worst Hotel Experiences I’ve Ever Had I cannot overstate how shockingly bad my stay at Hotel Valencia was. From the moment I stepped into my room, it was one disaster after another. First, there wasn’t a single trash can anywhere in the room — not in the bathroom, not near the desk, nowhere. It’s a basic amenity you’d expect from even the most budget motel, yet this “luxury” property somehow missed that memo. Then came the shower. Or should I say, attempt at a shower. The water temperature was scalding hot — dangerously so — with no way to cool it down. It was impossible to bathe without risking burns. To make matters worse, the showerhead was placed about 12 inches below the top of my head, forcing me to crouch awkwardly just to rinse off. Between the unsafe water temperature and the absurdly low fixture, showering here felt less like a basic necessity and more like a punishment. The TV remote didn’t work either, leaving me unable to even relax and watch something in the room. Maintenance clearly isn’t a priority here. And don’t expect a peaceful evening at the hotel bar — unless your idea of “ambiance” is a swarm of sketchy characters loitering around, making the space feel more like a dive bar than a high-end lounge. It was so uncomfortable I had to leave almost immediately. But the most disturbing part of my stay happened the next morning. I woke up to a scene straight out of a crime drama: someone had apparently jumped out of their window, and there were at least ten police officers on my floor. There was no communication from hotel staff, no reassurance, no acknowledgment at all — just total chaos in a place where you’re supposed to feel safe. All of this adds up to one clear conclusion: Hotel Valencia is an absolute train wreck of a property. Between the lack of basic amenities, unsafe facilities, malfunctioning equipment, unsettling atmosphere, and outright traumatizing incidents, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. Spend your money anywhere else — literally anywhere would be better than this.
Alexander I — Google review
We stayed at the hotel to celebrate my birthday, and overall, it was a great experience. The staff gave us a warm welcome and even surprised me with a bottle of wine—such a thoughtful gesture! The room was comfortable, room service was excellent, and the valet team was efficient and friendly. However, breakfast at Oveja Negra the next morning was disappointing. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, it took over 45 minutes for our food to arrive after multiple reminders. They forgot the hash browns, which only came after a request and the sourdough bread was stale. The Spanish omelette was topped with sour jalapeños that completely overpowered the dish and took away from its authenticity. I hope they take more care with attention to detail and improve their customer service at the restaurant, which would make an otherwise wonderful stay truly perfect.

Title: Disappointing Stay with Unjust Charges I recently stayed at this nice hotel but unfortunately had a very negative experience. Upon checking out, I was shocked to discover a $35 charge for a missing pillow. We arrived late due to our flight, went straight to bed, and left early for a meeting the next morning. The last thing on our minds was counting pillows! When I spoke with Ana at the front desk, she informed me that her two supervisors reported one missing pillow. This was incredibly frustrating, as we had no idea we needed to conduct a pillow inventory upon check-in. We were exhausted from our travels and trusted that our room was in order. It feels unfair to be charged for something we didn’t take. I believe that it is the hotel's responsibility to ensure that the inventory of the room is accurate before guests arrive. I suggest that anyone staying here should insist on having housekeeping or front desk staff count pillows and other items upon check-in to avoid this hassle. Better yet, take a picture before and after for proof. Still, they did not want to give a refund. Overall, this experience has left a sour taste in my mouth, and I cannot recommend this hotel based on their poor customer service and the unjustified charges. Look elsewhere for a more accommodating stay!

Stay away from this place. It shows a hot tub outside on the ad (it's a lie, it's not working), it shows a night club and bar (lie, it's been close since COVID 2020), many of the features it portrays on the ad are not functioning, the rooms stink. Just to give you an idea, in two days I stayed I only saw two people working on the entire hotel and one was the host. Changed rooms because they stank like cannabis. Old blood stain found under the cover on my last day, didn't noticed it til I took off the cover

Amazing hotel but I have to give it 2 stars because of the $200 deposit for the room. I understand that for most hotels there is a depsoit but it would have been better if they just put a hold on the deposit instead of actually charging it. But now I have to wait 5-7 business days for the money to return to my card since they charged me where as a hold would just release the money back to my card immediately. So for this reason alone I will never return which is sad because I actually like the hotel and the rooms. But because of the $200 deposit charge, I can't give this place anymore of my business which is unfortunate.

We have visit this hotel for many years at Thanksgiving to spend time with my in-laws. This place has gone down hill especially after Covid with no upgrades . All the reviews are true about this place. If you want a cheap dive with a bed and shower this is the place, but this last time this place charge us 75.00 dollars for getting the wash clothes dirty. I used to use the jacuzzi during my time but that was broken and they say it is only seasonable. All the equipment in the training room was unplugged and not working. Lots of lies and drama as well. Quiet room until the locals do doughnuts outside on the road and wake you up at 2:00 am in the morning. This place used to be nice with the restaurant open as well. Oh well .

Nice place, but. Parked after dark and had a red curb behind me I didn’t notice, so this morning got up to see my truck missing and had drag marks in the pavement from my tires skidding. Went to the front desk and the guy said he called my room at 1 am. When it was checked it was proven he lied right to my face. I was told he even knew it was happening. Looked at the phone in the room the cord from the base to the receiver was missing as well. Very disappointed because I liked the place. $425 later I checked out, I was suppose to stay 3 more nights.
Chris M — Google review
You really need to pass on this place. The rooms are beyond filthy; the carpet is loaded with grime and easily vacuumed trash, which means they don't even bother to lazily pass a vacuum cleaner anywhere near the rooms. The air smells like outdated air fresheners which means they have mold problems (on top of smokers in the hote) and so they are trying to cover it with air fresheners and carpet cleaner. Every wall has some sort of ooze cemented to it and the bathrooms are a literal nightmare. Horrendous location. Horrendous building. Please waste your money elsewhere - I really wish I could.

WORST HOTEL EVER! Maggots?? Rat poop?? Do not stay at this hotel. Worst management and staff. Everything was good but then we checked in and walked into our room #113. Well there was black spots on the bed what looked like rat feces. We right away went to tell the front desk he said all he could do was change rooms because we were booking through third-party. We decided to call our third party and they said the hotel had to give us the refund. My husband called corporate and corporate said they are no longer part of Wyndham. (Mind you front desk said we are having issues with licenses to operate a restaurant) well yea it is soo dirty maybe thats why they don’t have a restaurant open. As we are calling my husband is laying on the bed and I see this worm looking thing crawl on him. We immediately packed our things, called the front desk, he sent the cleaning lady, she took pictures and videos and said she would show management but no refund. Fast forward we are still trying to get a refund and all Dana (manager) has to do is give verbal consent to give out refund and no she does not want to. JUST DON’T STAY HERE! sink was also leaking which is the least of our problems.

Every staff member i came in contact with smiled and said something (hello, good morning, how are you?) that made me feel both welcome and valued as a guest in their hotel. Overall I was quite pleased and even impressed with this gem of an Extened Stay Hotel.

I’ve stayed in many hotels over the years, but this was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. I ended up leaving in the middle of the night because the conditions were so unacceptable. The moment I entered the room, I noticed a musty smell but I tried to brush it off. Until I went into the bathroom and saw cockroaches. Not just one, but multiple. I even spotted one crawling on the nightstand next to the bed. That was it for me. I called the front desk to report the issue and ask for either a new room or a refund. The staff’s response was completely unprofessional. No apology, no urgency, no attempt to make the situation right. At that point, I didn’t feel safe or comfortable staying even another hour, so I packed up and left in the middle of the night to find another hotel — out of pocket, since I basically had to beg for a refund which I then got days later. This place is filthy, poorly managed, and not worth your money or health. I strongly urge anyone considering this location to stay far away. There are plenty of better options nearby that actually value cleanliness and basic hospitality.

This hotel is very well taken care of from my experience. The room had absolutely 0 issues. Shreejay and Isabelle are great employees. They both have top tier attitudes, good manners and have done more than required of them to make me and my brothers stay comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable. Also the view and the coffee were good. Cheers 🍻

I was in a business trip with a group and our flight was suddenly cancelled. I have to find nearby hotel for a night to take next day’s flight in SJC. Our HR staff recommend this and some of us managed to reserved last 3 rooms. The staff (Emma) was very helpful, trying to book rooms from other Extended Stay nearby, and recommended other hotel for rest of us. My room is clean and quiet, the mattress is firm and I like it. There is a kitchen good for couple stay, but there is no coffee maker. And I also can not find water dispenser, I can only bought bottled water from vending machine is level 1. It is a but pricy ($3.5). I checked out at 5am and there is no staff at the counter. A guy came after I called them. The guy can only speak Spanish, not able to communicate with English. So I left my room card in the counter.

The rooms are mid but the staff is great. Everyone who helped was super welcoming and just pleasant. There was a hole in our shower, the blinds didn’t close all the way, and the elevator sounded like it was going to fall at any minute BUT I would do it again honestly. Also, the lamp usb ports next to the bed only work if the lamp is turned on, so we just unscrewed the lightbulb.

The staff here really made the stay comfortable. The customer service efforts by Alex and Shreejay were some of the best at any hotel that I have had. If I had every asked either one for help or needed fresh towels both of them were there to help me. I really appreciate all the help that the staff here provides. Thank you for an amazing stay.

Had to take a couple stars off because my last stay saw me in a room with 2 very slow drains (bathtub and kitchen sink), 1 non-functional burner, 1 burner where Medium heat was High Heat, and a microwave that didn't heat no matter what the Power Level. This was the more expensive of the two rooms booked for my work trip. The previous room was great though, so the 3 stars on Rooms are for that one.

Shreejay deserves a raise! He is a five star employee! Just a sweet, genuine and very patient person. Despite my horrible experience with booking.com he was very helpful! The manager there is also very sweet and she is usually always very busy but will still put her stuff aside to take care of you.

I had a fantastic experience at this hotel! The rooms were spotlessly clean, modern, and comfortable—perfect for relaxing after a long day. The breakfast was amazing, with a great variety of fresh options that really exceeded expectations. What truly stood out was the friendly and welcoming staff—everyone I interacted with was courteous and helpful, making the stay feel warm and personal. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area!

I had a pleasant stay at Hyatt House - clean room, comfy bed, and great location. Everything was smooth, but just a small heads-up: it would’ve been nice if the front desk staff mentioned the parking fee when handing over the parking card. I know it’s written down, but a quick reminder upfront would’ve helped avoid any surprises. Overall, still a solid stay!

Elena was one of the best front desk associates I have ever encountered. She took care of a special situation I had every morning during my stay. She was extremely friendly and made me feel extremely comfortable. Breakfast was great each morning and the staff kept everything immaculate!

A very elegant hotel with excellent staff and service worthy of the name. The room was beautiful, welcoming, and clean. The breakfast was excellent. The gym, if you want to find a flaw, was a bit small. There is a car parking.

The sheets were not clean at all. They were dirty and smelled bad. It looked like someone slept in the bed and just made the bed up over the used sheets. No one was available to change the sheets, so i changed them myself. It had been a long drive there and it was late so I went to bed and the next day I noticed there was pee around the toilet and a dirty shower. The manager said he would have it deep cleaned. When I got back to the room, it looked and smelled better, but the toilet was still dirty. The shower had been cleaned. I had to call again, and they sent someone up to clean the toilet. And all they did was wipe up puddle but did not clean the rest of the toilet. It was a very strange experience. The next day, I spoke with the manager and front desk. They were very apologetic and quiet mortified. I feel like the manager did his best to be apologetic and make it right with me. They did offer me to change rooms but for certain reasons I could not and so I had told them "Please just clean the room". All that said, I feel like the breakfast was above average of what is normally offered as a complementary breakfast. I felt like the staff was very nice and helpful. And the front desk was very, very nice and polite. I have pictures but a dirty toilet isn't family friendly. And that is a picture rule

Guests have praised the helpful staff and beautiful accommodations, making them feel at home during their stay. The breakfast buffet is highly regarded for its diverse options, including unique offerings like reindeer sausage and jumbo cinnamon rolls.
Daniel is fantastic! He’s warm, welcoming, and always has a smile on his face. He explained all the hotel amenities and gave us helpful tips about breakfast and other facilities. He’s truly an outstanding staff member and made us feel very well taken care of. Another plus was the hotel’s free shuttle service, actually it was a taxi, which is even better, to the close Airport (SJC). It was really convenient, and we were happy with how smoothly it went. With all that, the room itself felt a bit dated and could definitely use some maintenance. But all good!

Love this hotel. The room is like an apartment with a kitchen, family room and bed. I LOVE staying at this place when I am working and for pleasure. It's worth every penny and the breakfast is huge. It also very clean and high end.

It is a very good option if you’re looking for two bedroom apartment kind of rooms. When we were looking, it was only available here and at one other place in a whole Bay area. Hotel is pretty quiet and very comfy. All amenities were very good and in working condition. No complain.

This place is right in the heart of Silicon Valley. I had the pleasure of being welcomed by Brie, who was incredibly professional and kind. She gave us a map and was very informative—she didn’t leave out a single detail! The buffet breakfast was a win! Beautiful hotel with spacious rooms. Great job to the whole team!

For us the location was dislocated from the things we were interested in. Not the hotels fault. The hotel was clean. The pool was clean. The hot tub was clean. The bed was ok. The pillows were too soft. We love the suite layout. The staff was friendly. Paying for parking is a joke. Parking should be an amenity. Lots of warnings of cars being broken into.

Loved the breakfast. Clean comfy rooms, a/c kicks but. We’ve all seen the rooms and pool, but they were a bit on the smaller side. Location is ok, a few middle eastern spots on the block but nothing walking distnace.

Great hotel. 1 bedroom suite was clean and the AC worked great. Shower pressure is amazing! Breakfast was good with a lot of options. Staff is friendly. Gym is small with not a lot of options. They have a pool and Jacuzzi. Also a basketball court on site! I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in town.

Especially a Hotel/motel, Wen I got here, The microwave blue up, The shower did not shut Off and the front desk, came in and she was able to solve the problem. She wasn't a superwoman, She was the right person to solve the issue at hand. And she was dumb found just like I was. Add it was fun y.🥹😁🥹😊🥹 The situation that I got out of, needed a good silly laugh, Now the location it's far enough just right .and I Thank the customer service that was given.

The worst hotel you will ever stay in. So many negative reviews corporate needs to shut this place down. The place smelled like weed and cigarettes. Lazy incompetent staff had me standing up front for an hour trying to check in. The girl was hiding behind the wall with a back in 10 minutes sign up when I got there. While I'm standing there groups of screaming kids are running around stomping through the halls. Tweakers in the parking lot working on their cars blasting music. I'm pretty sure this extended stay is housing for the homeless. The toilet didn't work, the shower head sprayed all over the room, the "breakfast" was completely gone by 8am (like I said homeless grabbing every scrap they can). It's almost funny how bad it is but the TV remote wasn't even for that TV, to watch the channels you need to hit the "OK" button.. this remote had NO ok button. The room above me must have had 10 people in it. The constant noise and stomping on my roof was insane. You will not sleep if you stay here, so much noise. Do yourself a favor and stay ANYWHERE ELSE. Terrible experience
Scott C — Google review
The staff were pleasant. The facility itself is dirty, others staying were loud in the halls and outside I wasn't able to sleep when checked in. The room had a strong smell of aftershave or a strong type of air freshener that never went away it caused a headache and allergy fare up. The whole room is outdated with rusted and dirty kitchenette and bathroom. The most uncomfortable bed all together I would not recommend or stay here again.
Amanda B — Google review
The rooms were unpleasant and dirty - including non-vacuumed floors and two bugs - one on the kitchen counter and another in the closet (not bedbugs, thankfully - though with the place's messiness, I definitely had to thoroughly check for them!). There were no outlets near the bed, making phone charging frustrating. And with the poor insulation, it was easy to hear every noise in the hallway throughout the night. I will definitely be avoiding Extended Stay hotels from now on!
Charissa V — Google review
Never staying here again!!! Not only is it EXTREMELY dirty, but the walls and main door are paper thin. Can hear all activities going on just outside the door. The entire night I was overcome with anxiety and unease about the situation. If I had not WAISTED $210 I would have left before the night was up. But I suffered thru and promise not to be back
Aly T — Google review
Terrible stay and service. We raised the issue of the amenities in the room, kitchen being unusable, plates and the one pan provided was scratched and visibly old & stained and probably not even cleaned. There was a strong unidentifiable stench in the room that I have not experienced in the worst of motels. I wish I took pictures of the bugs and stains on the linens. Paul was extremely rude, threw the bill at us when we raised some of the issues and refused to help us or offer anything. Astonishing to see that kind of treatment from workers like Paul in this day and age. Left without staying.

Homewood Suites by Hilton San Jose Santa Clara is a modern property that offers warmly decorated suites with full kitchens, making it perfect for extended and family stays. The hotel provides complimentary amenities such as WiFi, hot breakfast, evening socials, grocery delivery, and an airport shuttle. Guests can relax by the heated outdoor pool and whirlpool or stay active in the fitness center. The spacious rooms are well-maintained and feature comfortable beds and large bathrooms.
We recently stayed at Homewood Suites Santa Clara in a 2-bedroom suite, and overall it was a very comfortable experience. Pros: • The suite was spacious, clean, and fully equipped with all the amenities we needed. • Beds were very comfortable, and the layout worked perfectly for our family. • Breakfast was good with a nice variety to start the day. • The pool was a decent size and well-maintained. • On-site laundry was convenient—just $8 for washer and dryer use. • Plenty of parking available on site, which made things very easy. • The location is excellent, with restaurants and grocery stores just around the corner. Cons: • Our room was serviced only on the third day, and even then it was limited to trash removal and fresh towels—full housekeeping wasn’t done during our stay. Overall, it was a pleasant and convenient stay, and I would recommend this hotel for families or longer visits to Santa Clara.

I had such an amazing stay at this hotel! The entire staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and comfortable from the moment I checked in. Everyone was so professional, attentive, and genuinely caring—it really made the experience unforgettable. A special mention goes to Jhoanna Marie, whose warmth, attentiveness, and dedication stood out the most. She truly embodies what outstanding hospitality is all about. On top of that, the food was exceptional—fresh, flavorful, and clearly prepared with skill and passion. The cook deserves the highest praise, as every meal exceeded expectations.

We are Hilton Silver members. Pros: Front desk service: Excellent. Friendly. Informative. Afternoon front desk and morning staff were different people and maintained high quality service. Physical plant: Very nice lobby. Breakfast area, sitting area inside and outdoor seating was very nice and clean. Enjoyed my breakfast outdoors. Very spacious. Our room with king size bed was very comfortable. Spacious room to do work and eat and relax. Clean bathroom. Shower pressure is on low side, but this is because of state regulation for water saving protocols. Plenty of hot water in morning and evening showers. There is a recreational room with billiard table and table tennis and outdoor putting green for practice. Kitchenette was most convenient! Breakfast: hot buffet style American breakfast. Also continental breakfast available. Scrambled eggs. Potatoes, sausages dna vegggie meatballs. Chose this location over the Hilton Garden Inn st San Jose airport because breakfast there was not that good compared to othwr HGI’s in San Mateo and Calabasas. The HGI SJ also double charges for breakfast by charging extra $25 for buffet then another $17-20 for thr omelette. The other HGI locations do not double charge. Stayed for 2 nights. Exercise room was decent although I did not use it. Value: Good value for location near Kaiser Santa Clara and for nearby restaurants in San Jose and Milpitas.

I recently stayed at homewood suites by hilton san jose santa clara and had a generally positive experience. The amenities were great, and the room was comfortable. However, I was quite disappointed with the service at the front desk. The short, heavyset Asian front desk guy was rude, which really affected my overall impression of the hotel. I stay at Hiltons 90% of the year for my job, and this was the only complaint I had during my stay. If it weren't for his attitude, I would have happily given a 5-star rating. I hope the management addresses this issue, as it can really impact guests' experiences.

This is my 4th time staying here. Biggest rooms in the pricey San Jose area. The breakfast is delicious and has a lot of choices. The service is top-notch. Joanna is one of the most cheerful, customer-centric person you will ever meet. Spacious rooms+great breakfast+warm service.

This place deserves more stars... the food was always fresh and tasty the service and cleanliness of the hotel was amazing. The staff was even better!! Not much in the way of things to do in the area but worth it! Can't wait for another business trip! This should be a model for your other Homewoods suites.

Worst Hilton I ever stayed. Breakfast does not even come close to what you get in a basic hotel. They don’t even provide cut fruits on same days. What do you eat? Not even steel cutlery, you need ask them for one. It’s not worth half the price you pay. Rooms are decent. Did not face any issue with stay.
Prasad S — Google review
This place is run horribly with the worst management team. Ben Robledo should be fired. The most unprofessional manager I've ever dealt with when booking an hotel room. He made a false police report on myself just because I made it aware to incoming guests he was being a nuisance & keeping a 1 year old baby crying in 100 degree weather after an hour & half drive from San Francisco because he just wanted to be right about a policy he was wrong about. He hung up the phone so many times instead of correct the matter that he made traumatic not only for myself, my mother, but also my 1 year old baby. The staff wasted my time by saying they would accommodate me & honor the contactless check in option by allowing me to check in before my mom who reserved the room since we had paid & asked for contactless booking. We already had issues because they couldn't honor our original reservation & were trying to upgrade to a bigger suite & upcharging the original booking. WE DENIED THE UPGRADE & ASKED THAT THEY HONOR THE ORIGINAL RESERVATION. This lead to us calling BEFORE making the drive to the hotel that check in would still be honored with contectless option. Upon arrival I was already greeted by a rude staff member. He was an Asian fat man who would not give me his name. I then asked for the manager. This is when i met Ben. I explained the situation again & that we had the approval from Hilton corporate to check in. Ben decided he was NOT going to honor corporate, which if course upset me so i called him an idiot demanding to speak to someone higher up. Ben them says he is canceling my reservation & called the police making false accusations claiming I was belligerent & threatening him when I was asking him for my receipt showing the refund. Ben gave me just the receipt for the initial booking thru booking.com. So i had to drive back to get the hotel receipt with proof for a refund because he was telling boooking.com to keep the reservation. As i was waiting in the lobby Ben refuse to give us our accurate proof refund or receipt. I literally had to make a scene voicing my disappointment in the companies mishandling in front of incoming customers just so that he would provide accurate documentation that he did indeed refund the money. My family & I have used booking & Hilton for many years & never had such horrible service. Will NOT be using this location again.

Afternoon front desk female with a visible chest/shoulder tattoo is either passive aggressive.. was never taught manners and/or was never reprimanded for not extending common courtesy When you ask for my I.D. & I give it to you.. in your hand.. why would you think that placing it on the counter.. face down.. is appropriate? Then when you want me to sign the bottom of a check-in paper.. you slide it to me backwards? You literally get paid to be a welcoming first impression of the hotel.. not a snobby person that is counting on people not calling you out on your rudeness Otherwise.. the room is clean & comfortable.. as the maid staff is on top of their work The location is convenient & safe

This place was great a few years ago. Went there last night and there was a young kid behind the counter who advised us not to have to check in over the counter. He wanted us to use the app. After the app had problems we showed him and he did not know how to process our credit card. Then after he tried again, then told us they had no rooms after he messed around with PC for 35 minutes and 2 Credit cards later that he said did not work. This was good at one time and now it's horrible. We went up the street to the Marriott only took us 10 minutes to check in with the same credit card that had no problems working. Sorry for the bad review on this place but this was just plain horrible service. I don't even know how anybody else got checked in for the rest of the night.

I recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately, the experience was far from pleasant. The front desk customer service was severely lacking—staff were unfriendly and unhelpful, particularly when we had to deal with a major issue. Upon checking into our initial room, we were met with a disgustingly urine-smelling space, which was unacceptable. After requesting a new room, the front desk girl handled the situation with zero friendliness, making the process even more frustrating. The hotel itself is a bit run-down and could definitely use some handy work to improve its condition. On a positive note, the breakfast was a highlight—well-stocked, good presentation, and tasty. Overall, the poor service and upkeep overshadow the decent food, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless improvements are made.

Arrived at 9PM and was greeted by a very nice receptionist. The room was not well maintained. We had empty beer bottles on our nightstand, there was blood stains on the sofa bed mattress and the sheets for the sofa bed had been stuffed in the bag without having been washed. Upon complaining the receptionist offered another room but my son already had fallen asleep as it was 10PM now. They suggested addressing this with the GM but he/she didn’t arrive until 11am was what I later learned. As a result we packed up and left a day early.

My family would come every month for years. When we first came the staff was knowledgeable and nice, rooms were clean, amenities were well kept. We never had an issue with our reservations until it went under new management. The rooms weren't as clean, probably because they underemployed maid staff to save money. We always got the king suite and we traveled with our dog every time too. New management started restricting people with pets to lower floors. We had a reservation in advance and they tried to say we couldn't stay because of the dog and we weren't allowed on the other floors because of the new policies. We fought it and got somewhere to sleep that night. They stopped keeping the nice Heath ceramics mugs that went with the craftsman style and started replacing them with IKEA. The furniture was no longer being repaired and the tiles were cracked and not repaired. The final straw was when they lied to us and tried to put a family of 3 with a dog in a room with one single sized bed who had paid for the king suite price. They gave our room away, lied about it, and we were stranded at 10:30pm. The staff turnover was very high and the landscaping went in complete disarray. The new management has destroyed this once lovely place. Now I'm nervous walking the halls as we have heard too many domestic abuse cases and trash overflowing at nearly every floor. TLDR It's filthy, poorly managed, and dangerous. Don't stay here.

I opted to stay here because of the location and price. I only stayed one night. I had no issues with check in, the staff was nice and polite. I included a photo of the room and bathroom, please disregard the mess. I took the picture when I was going to leave. Noise: I stayed on the 4th floor and even though I didn't have to deal with hearing anyone above me the room itself did have a lot of noise. By that I mean, the drainage of the pipes and the fridge while handy to have a full size fridge it made so much noise. Bring ear plugs. Outside sounds I could only hear cars that were exceptionally loud. Comfort: I stayed in a queen suit. The bed is so FIRM which I wish I had known cause I prefer a soft mattress. I know hotels can't accommodate everyone's preferences but if you're someone who needs a soft mattress I suggest staying somewhere else. I could barely sleep because of the bed. There were 4 pillows, they are had varying density. Cleanliness: The room was clean. There are signs of wear and tear this didn't bother me. After a while I noticed there was a smell. I don't know how to describe it. It wasn't a strong odor but I noticed it was strongest in the bathroom. I closed the bathroom door and that masked the smell for the post part. Overall, the comfort was a big issue for me so I wouldn't pick this place again.

My lady and I stayed here with friends for a birthday. We were helped by Oscar who was working the front desk. He was super welcoming and helpful. He made check in and check out as smooth as possible. The room was amazing and clean. We loved that the hotel was pretty close to everything that you could want to do while in San Jose, made getting around easy.

Very comfortable and modern hotel. The staff is super helpful and friendly. Their airport shuttle is quick and easy to reserve. The breakfast is one of the best hotel buffets that Marriott offers. Only negative is the room air conditioner is noisy and blows right onto the bed

The lady receptionist at front desk was very impolite. I had very bad feeling about that. And my next room guy made a barbeque in the room and there were a lot of smoke, so my wife was really shocked. There were a lot of smoke in my room too. Later everything was ok. So I did not understand how this kind of things happen in the hotel room. At that time I was not in the hotel room. At that time my wife really were afraid of the situation.

So if you're looking to get your steps in , stay closer to the stadium , if you're looking to arrive relaxed and refreshed , then this is the place to be. And for you, drinkers out there. They have a nice bar.

Enrique was extremely accommodating. We were in San Jose for soccer and had to leave the hotel early for a game. He help us get coffee before it was set up in the lobby and provided breakfast bag for all the players. We travel alot for soccer and plan on pick Spring Hill for our future hotel needs.

Housekeeper Stole My Bag – Management Did Nothing I stayed at this hotel and while the outside looked nice, the service was absolutely terrible. One of the housekeepers stole my purple BOGG Bag. The contents of the bag were left behind in a clear plastic bag, but the bag itself was gone. When I reported this, management claimed they didn’t see the housekeeper on surveillance with the bag and said they couldn’t do anything. They even went so far as to ask if I had taken the bag myself—which makes no sense at all. Why would I take my own bag but leave all of my belongings behind in a plastic bag? This was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. A hotel should provide security and accountability, not excuses and victim-blaming. ⚠️ I do not recommend this hotel unless you want your belongings stolen.

The hotel boasts simple yet comfortable rooms equipped with cozy beds and modern amenities like Wi-Fi. A refreshing pool offers a great spot to unwind after exploring the area or attending meetings.
Worst bed ever. Every movement the bed seems to move. Old sheets. Full kitchenette with a sink that doesn't work. Dishwasher has not been used in years. Fortunately we got the"best" room. 1 hand towel, no soap, 2 bath towels. Across from trolley, noisy. Homeless people talking loud in parking lot in middle of the night. Would never stay at again. We canceled the second night.

Location is really great Multiple restaurants across the street and the bar next door. Super close to the airport. However, the hotel itself wasn’t very great. There wasn’t any hot water. No hairdryer. No iron, microwave didn’t really work. AC and heater don’t really do anything. The door to the room feels like you could break it if you open it to fast or lean on it, but hey the room key is twice the size of a normal key so you can’t lose it as easily. They also disabled the hotel phone so you can’t contact them.

Online information says the room has a fridge but my room did not have one and was told by the girl at the counter that no one there would be able to check for extras. Ontop of that in the bathroom, there were two towels. No hand towels. Just 2 shower towels both of which had questionable stains. When I asked the counter for extra towels, again I was told there wasn’t any. Finally I had a reservation to stay 4 nights but only made it to night two when I found bed bugs in the sheets. Immediately checked out and when I told the people at the front desk about the bed bugs they seemed completely unfazed. I understand this is a cheaper hotel but my experience here was just disgusting and I would not recommend it to anyone. Only good thing is there’s 2 pretty good sushi places across the street.

The man that checked me in screamed at me for over 15 minutes when I asked about a deposit I was being charged. He told me to "shut my mouth and not speak" several times. He threw my credit card and DL at me. He refused to refund me, then stated he would refund me minus one day. He told me my voice was annoying. My brother came in when it was taking a long time. The main continue to scream at me telling my brother "to get control of her. Make her shut her mouth." This was stated any time I tried to speak. We had no choice but to check in because he continue to refuse to refund me. There is no coffee or breakfast here. The rooms are filthy and no maintenance. There is no hot water and no ice. The beds are hard as a rock. The area is unsafe and the owner has taken zero actions to protect guest. Save you money and DO NOT book or stay here!!

This place looked better in photos, than in person. My room had no hot water, the lamp on the desk was not working, and the floor lamp did not have a light bulb. I had to use one from the bathroom that was not connected. The mattress feels hard and the doors use a key to open them, instead of a card. I was unable to turn on the television and there was no microwave oven or refrigerator. Be willing to pay more for quality elsewhere because spending one night in a place like this is not worth it!
Sax S — Google review
There are no hand towels, washcloths ice, buckets, or ice machine working on property. Rooms are at least 40 years old since last refurbishing television required multiple attempts to initiate. It’s not our problem or responsibility to provide such services, said representative at Desk.

I booked a room here using a 3rd party booking app. The location is okay, kinda sketch but I was willing to grin and bear it. But you can see exterior damage which may give you security concerns. They do not have a front desk agent (FDA) 24hrs which is not too big a deal, but they also do not answer the phone with the number provided. I arrived an hour early and asked if early check in was available. It was not, again no big deal. I asked the FDA if he could assign my room early, collect deposit, and give me keys so that I could secure a room because I needed to leave for work. He COMPLETELY flew off the rails and started yelling at me about not believing him. I tried to explain again thinking there may be a language barrier, but he continued yelling at me and threatened to call the police on me if I didn’t like it. If this is the level of customer service you get just trying to check in, I can only imagine if there is an actual issue. Other reviews have also described him as a jerk as well.

I was nervous to stay here but it wasn't terrible! Worked great for a place to sleep after a long day walking around; both of the ladies at the front desk were delights and very kind to me. If I was ever tight on money and needed somewhere to stay in San Jose again; I would probably book again! The area is a bit nerve-wracking and the walls are thin but if you have lived near a train or busy highway before it's just like that!

The Courtyard by Marriott San Jose North/Silicon Valley is a modern hotel with an American-style bistro, indoor pool, and hot tub. Guests consistently praise the clean rooms and excellent service at this property. The location offers easy access to the freeway and nearby shopping options including a Target and various dining choices. While "The Bistro" offers quality food, some guests found the menu limited and overly trendy. However, upgrades to spacious rooms with large windows were appreciated by many visitors.
Stayed there just for 1 night. Service was prompt, rooms were clean and spacious and breakfast was delicious. Breakfast is not included by default, none the less, breakfast was prompt and fresh. Rooms were noisy, could hear the upstairs folks. overall, not the most modern hotel but good location and good for a good night sleep

I was there for the first weekend of April. We had our ___class reunion, and I came from out of the area. The location was perfect. 5 minute drive to my friend's house. 10 minutes to the amtrack station...which is VERY close to Levi stadium (next year super bowl). My major complaint was the bed.....SOGGY.It was beyond soft. The service was very cordial. The "market" prices were insane...$10.00 fir a hot pocket. The Bistro was yummy, with good prices. I wished that the Starbucks had a frap machine. I am a disabled senior and I would stay there again. My room was 324. Close to the ice machine. Close to the elevator. Housekeeping was very accommodating. A complimentary continental breakfast would have put a really big smile on the old lady's face even bigger. But PLEASE check out the bed

Stayed here for an appointment at the Stanford Cancer center. There is a Target in the same parking lot. Beautiful hotel, excellent friendly staff, plenty of lounge seating, great ambiance, a nice business center and fitness room with laundry services as well. I agree the walls are thin the hotel but it was pretty quiet. There is a pool and jacuzzi and a bistro that offers multiple food options. It has great and immediate freeway access to the 237 I wanna say but conveniently located. There are multiple story office buildings right across the street. Plenty of parking available. The rooms have a nice bar set up with a fridge. There is a sofa couch along with king size bed so the accommodations were nice. They have both traditional and USB plugs in the sofa and on the room clock. The bathroom has a shower/tub combo.

Beautiful hotel, lovely staff, awesome jacuzzi & and pool, but horrible experience parking my SUV here. I parked closest to the hotel parking area which is very well lit and closest to the hotel path and not near Target, and my back window got broken into, and I had some items stolen which were not in view, my SUV was ransacked with broken glass everywhere. I was parked there before 8pm the night before and was not notified about it until 2 pm. the next day. I was even told one of the managers was parked next to me. I was also advised that they didn't have cameras in that area. However, there are other hotel doors in that vicinity. I was also told security left at 5am, however each time I have stayed at the hotel which has been a couple of times, the security guard was always inside the hotel lobby sitting and several times even sleeping. The hotel did not offer any help. Unfortunately, I will not be staying again at this hotel due to not feeling safe. This trip cost me more money, stress, and anxiety. Being a Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite Member, this is not the experience I expected from a Marriott hotel.

We traveled here for a lacrosse tourney. Hotel was new, clean, well maintained and quiet. Employees were very Friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the bistro in the morning especially for 8am games we didn’t have to search for breakfast and happy hour there in the evening. We had a small hiccup with the room (beds were missing sheets) on our adjoining room but they immediately fixed it and offered us $50 for breakfasts for our inconvenience. Would definitely stayed there again. Target is next door and other restaurants across the street so easy for families to find something to eat.

This is a beautiful hotel with kind staff and great rooms. My father and I stayed here while seeing a concert at Levi Stadium. Comfort Inn Sunnyvale - Silicon Valley is a straightforward hotel that offers complimentary amenities such as a hot breakfast buffet and WiFi, along with an outdoor pool. While it's part of the Choice Hotels group, known for its mid-to-low-tier properties, this particular location stands out for its clean and comfortable rooms. Guests have praised the attentive staff who ensure that the breakfast offerings are well-maintained and enjoyable. The hotel also provides a safe environment with ample parking.
Wonderful breakfasts each morning. Our TV remote control did NOT work and the desk clerk was unable or unwilling to help. The hotel is new, and while the rooms are small, they are very clean and well maintained. The staff except for the singularly inept desk clerk are very pleasant and accommodating. Both my husband and I are mobility impaired but have very little trouble getting around the hotel.

Overpriced Stay with Unresolved Issues and Blatant Lies from the Owner I booked a two-night stay at this hotel, arriving at 2 AM, only to find a room with no heat, no phone, and no remote. Despite spending much of the first night trying to resolve the heating issue, my partner woke up with bites, which was concerning enough for us to check out and find another hotel for the second night. When I addressed these issues with the hotel owner and requested a full refund, he claimed he had no say in the matter. However, after speaking with the third-party booking company, they provided clear instructions for the owner to approve the refund—he simply needed to send them a message on hotel letterhead. I also contacted corporate, who confirmed that the decision was entirely up to the hotel. It became clear that rather than taking responsibility, the owner shifted blame onto the third-party company and corporate, when in reality, he simply didn’t believe my experience warranted a refund. Given how this was handled, I wouldn’t be surprised to see more negative reviews in the future. I typically avoid leaving negative reviews, as I understand the impact they can have. However, after several days of trying to receive even partial compensation for what I believe was an unacceptable experience, I was met with silence. After the initial response of, "Sorry, but we can’t issue a refund," the owner never responded again. And now, to my complete shock and disbelief, the hotel has responded to my review with a flat-out lie. The owner claims my complaint is invalid and that I only wanted a refund because my plans changed. That is completely false. I left because the room was unlivable—no heat, no phone, no remote, and my partner waking up with bites. The conditions were unacceptable, and rather than acknowledging that, the owner is trying to twist the situation into something it was not. Even worse, the owner claims he had no control over the refund, which is another blatant lie. The third-party booking company explicitly told me that the refund decision was entirely up to the hotel, and they even provided specific instructions for the owner to follow if he chose to issue one. Corporate also confirmed the refund was his decision. The fact that he is now trying to mislead anyone reading this review into believing his hands were tied is beyond frustrating. The truth is, he didn’t want to issue a refund, so instead of owning that decision, he is trying to pass the blame onto others. At this point, there is absolutely nothing the hotel can do to change my opinion or make me update this review. Lying so blatantly in response to a legitimate complaint is completely unacceptable. If this is how they handle customer issues, I strongly advise looking elsewhere.

What I liked: Great price/value! Lovely pool - clean, deep end at 7', perfect temp Hard boiled eggs at breakfast What I didn't like: Microfiber sheets (hot!!!) Very small room Very low water pressure in shower Motion sensor thermostat (off when sleeping, not in room) I probably won't stay here again BUT would definitely recommend this hotel for budget-minded travelers.

Nice hotel with a smaller walk-in shower, comfortable beds, decently furnished rooms with a window air conditioner, microwave, coffee maker with K cups and mini refrigerator. Smaller walk-in shower. I really like the sitting area by the TV where you can also place some of your lightweight luggage and items for easy handling. Bed sheets were cotton-poly but no issues. So the rooms have balconies, but not much of a view. It’s close and convenient to the freeways. Plenty of truck parking for $20.. no charge for auto parking. Check-in was quick and efficient. I had no issues at the hotel. Reasonably priced .

While this motel represents great value in Silicon Valley, one of the highest-cost areas in the country, I had a really bad night which brings down the rating to three stars. Overall, the rooms are clean and serviceable, price point is very affordable, all the amenities you need are here, and it's located right by two major highways so you're never too far from anywhere in the Bay. My only issue with the motel itself is that the rooms are too small, even for a solo traveler. The reason that my rating is three stars, instead of four, is that on one of the nights, the power went out for the entire night! Nothing worked - lights, TV, wi-fi, hot water, elevator, refrigerator - the motel was completely in the dark for a good twelve hours. While I understand it's not entirely their fault, I had one of the worst sleeps in a long time.

Stayed here so we could go to Great America one day and a concert the next.. rooms were okay but they need updated. Bring a charging box for phones, we are used to something in the room having a usb plug. The gym was nice but we couldn't use most of the equipment as it seemed broken or about to break. The elevators didn't work the second day unless u were going to 1st or 3rd floor and of course we were on the 2nd. The same night they stopped working again.. which was an issue cuz I had recently sprained my ankle. Breakfast was what we expected. Vending machines ate our money twice. The key cards don't work to get into ANYthing.. from parking lot to use side doors for entry or the gate to go in was frustrating. It is a little difficult to find at first and drive into as it's right next to highway.. which is nice but also busy trying to get in and out.. I wouldn't stay here again.

The Aloft San Jose Cupertino is a 3-storey hotel with straightforward decor and an outdoor pool, as well as a restaurant/bar and free parking. The facilities here include an outdoor heated pool and an on-site restaurant, which are both open from 17:00 until 22:00. The hotel itself is very nice, with clean rooms and friendly staff.
The hotel is very comfortable, and I really loved the service. Our room was spacious and super cozy. There was a small mix-up in the bathroom — there were two conditioners instead of shampoo — but we mentioned it to the front desk, and they immediately brought us a new shampoo. The staff handled it so quickly and kindly! For me, that level of attention and service makes all the difference. Overall, we had a great experience! Parking Free

Excellent customer service! The hotel is nice and modern, but both of the rooms we stayed in really need some remodeling. Noise was definitely an issue – I could hear people in the hallway all night, even the neighbor coughing, and to top it off the ice machine was right outside our room with people using it constantly. The couch bed is probably the worst part – very cheap material, uncomfortable, and squeaky every time you turn over. The free breakfast was okay (today was actually the last day they offered it), but I did appreciate that it was included. On the positive side, the pool was a comfortable room temperature and the spa was great too. Overall, good service and amenities, but the rooms need some serious upgrades. I forgot to mention FREE PARKING.

Stayed here recently for a business trip and had a really great experience overall. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and my room was clean, which I really appreciated after a long day of traveling. I had a great stay at the Aloft San Jose Cupertino. The hotel is very clean, modern, and well maintained. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and made the experience feel easy from check-in to check-out. The rooms were comfortable, stylish, and well kept, which made for a relaxing stay. The only downside is that the property sits on a very busy corner, so you’ll notice some traffic around the area. That said, once inside, the atmosphere is calm, and the convenience of the location makes up for it. Overall, a solid choice if you’re looking for a clean, friendly, and reliable hotel in the Cupertino/San Jose area.

Overall I had a good experience and stay at Aloft San Jose. Check in was a brisk. Appreciated especially since I had a 16 hours flight, 2 hours immigration & customs (before departure and upon arrival) + luggage and 1.5 collecting rental car and drive to Aloft. No delay at check in and had a good night rest. The complimentary breakfast was a fantastic surprise and had a decent spread. Very nice touch by the property for their guests. Simple breakfast and COFFEE to start the day is what business travelers need. The room was good. Bed though a bit soft is bearable. Pillows was too soft and I had requested for foam pillow but it was not provided. The bathroom was good though the water pressure could be increased. Lack of a handheld shower heard but I could live with it. One of the bath towel on the first night was torn. Not a big deal but maybe the staff should check and be more aware about providing torn towels to guests. In summary, nice design and decorations. Pretty well upkeep. Clean and functional. Simple and no fuss concept. Family friendly and not just for business travelers. Friendly hotel staff.

I rarely write a bad review but I learned that Bonvoy hotels hold up to 8 days of the deposit charge to your debit card account that is charged when you check in. And, they said the deposit % can go up to 50% of the total stay. In my case, it was $150 for just one night of staying. It's almost 100% of their one night cost to stay here. This is really a news for me as I and my husband are a avid traveler domestically or internationally. We will do our best to stay away from staying at Bonvoy chain hotels. This is insane.

They have the VERY BEST ROLL IN SHOWER I have ever seen. The tile felt like it was holding my foot from slipping. It's designed perfectly so no water runs out on the floor, and the generous bench is in the back and not on the side.

This was the worst hotel I’ve been to in a long time. I had a non-smoking room and it smelled like cigarettes. There were burn marks on the furniture spiderwebs in the corner. The microwave had rust inside of it. There’s a small bug on the bed, I checked out of the hotel And did not stay there. Horrible experience.

DO NOT STAY!! I’ve never felt so unsafe in a hotel before. Below are the things I saw/experienced. The one upside is that it was cheap. But I’ve stayed in cheap hotels before and I never had this kind of experience. -Main office had holes in the wall everywhere from wires and lights being moved. Wires were exposed in many places -A man who was trying to open various doors on the 1st floor had his hood up and sunglasses on (was not sunny) and asked me if I knew who lived there (…this is a hotel so no one?) then asked if I knew where he could get crystal meth or weed -There was no carpet, linoleum, vinyl flooring---only the rubbery underflooring was exposed -The bolt lock was broken—the hardware on the back of the door was completely missing -All sink drains were completely open. No trap, nothing -Holes in the walls, misc paint colors, rust covering all metal bars/towel holders -Plastic covering lights next to bedstand -AC unit looked to have been hit due to an indentation in the middle - Light switches were covered in grime (see picture) - In the night I was woken up twice by activities outside my door. Couldn’t tell what it was but didn’t want to know either. I slept with a chair in front of the door despite being a guy with medium build. Just not the kind of place worth taking a risk on unless you’re on a very strict budget.

When renting a room while it is cold, which is when I normally travel, the first thing we should do when entering the room is to crank up the heater before retrieving our luggage from the car. It should be warm, in order to be more comfortable when we unpack and relax. Everything was adequate for spending one night and we can return the key card in a fishbowl when leaving. Fortunately, they had a soft chair instead of those cheap mesh ones.

I choose this location for the convenience. I'm a short walk from my church, my storage is 1.1/2 blocks away. I've been here 16 days ans when you stat too long they want you out and come back another time 6 months ago I stayed 3 week. Now I'm homeless as of Thursday because they refuse to authorize over the phone from an agent who want to pay rent for 5 day. The only good service I got was the sweet housekeeper who brought me clean towels I will never come back again so disappointed. I can go on and on I will stop here.

Room is not terrible but the windows do need to be changed to possibly help with sound, and there needs to be some curtains. As the room can never get fully dark with the wooden blinds provided. My daughter has a hard time sleeping because it was so bright in the room all night

Nice, clean room. Location okay middle of a busy street & next to frwy. Front entrance could use some TLC. Front desk personnel could be a bit more groomed and dressed. Downside: Be prepared to pay for parking daily. This is on top of your room rate.
Belem M — Google review
Update: The response by the hotel is dishonest: I never used the bathroom in the lobby, why would I? I had my own room. I was put into a room with a single bed, it was not an upgrade. I did not get a discounted rate. It cost $320 for two nights. Front desk difficult to work with. Breakfast poor at best. Really atrocious food. Asked for late checkout and was informed if I check out one minute past the 12 o’clock hour, I will be charged more.

We chose this hotel as it’s so close to the waterpark. For one night it was good. Comfortable bed and room was clean, but obviously loud as next to the freeway. Breakfast options were not good and all unhealthy. Only option we had was the fruit, despite that, we had a pleasant stay.

Had to get a last minute room to visit some family in the area for a family emergency. The room was great for the price. The breakfast was 10/10. We all loved it. It was nice not having to worry about going out for food after checking out. The room was clean and smelled nice. Would definitely stay here again.

Very comfortable place to say, we stayed for weeks. I even left town for a couple of days and kept my room. The staff make me feel comfortable and safe from the first day. Staff shows that they care about their guest. Made sure I received my packages, cleaned the room as often as I wanted, and had ample food for breakfast. They also have an awesome coffee maker. If you plan to stay for a few days the rate is better. The only issue I experienced was the tub only worked as a shower and the elevator door is slow (I usually use the stairs). I would return without hesitation.

The Hampton Inn & Suites San Jose Airport offers an indoor pool and an exercise room, as well as breakfast. It is located within 5 mi of the San Jose Convention Center and 3.7 mi of the San Jose Flea Market.
Stayed there one night. It was a really nice hotel, high tech decor, big and clean rooms. Breakfast had nice variety- omelets, waffles, fresh fruits, cereal, yoghurt, good coffee. Nice and helpful staff. We also used the laundry room which was pretty decent. Shower had low water pressure unfortunately. And also, who puts a water faucet at the corner of the sink, so it’s barely usable?

Good location to airport and access to freeway and all the places we needed for a 3 night stay. Neighborhood is business area but was quite quiet. We had an odd experience immediately upon entering and checking in with staff subsequently, but the story is too frivolous to get into. But it did make me wonder what kind of patrons the hotel attracted. In any case, we didn't experience any further oddities after that initial experience. Hotel is dark in the first floor public area and is no frills. The breakfast buffet was pretty good, better than expected in a large breakfast seating area. The room was a double, although we originally requested a king. It was average size with a terrible view. Dark room with dim lighting as well. Relatively clean but not sparkling for a room that smelled strongly of bleach upon entering. Housecleaning should spend the extra seconds to wipe down light switches on occasion. Beds and bedding were okay. Not the comfiest but again served its purpose. I may consider staying again if the price is right.

It pains me to write this review. I’ve stayed in many hotels before, and even when they aren’t perfect, I typically feel comfortable and well-rested with no major complaints. Usually, you get what you pay for, but in this case, I feel like I paid to not get a good night’s sleep and for parking that I didn’t even get to use. I stayed for a night on 3/22 because I didn’t want to drive two hours back home after attending a friend’s baby shower. Upon arrival, everything seemed fine, and I was excited to stay the night, as it’s been a while since I’ve been in a hotel. However, when I returned a little after midnight to rest, I couldn’t find any available parking. I understand parking can be limited, but why charge for something that isn’t guaranteed? I ended up parking down the street at a Denny’s and was left worrying if my car would be safe. That alone made it hard to relax. The real issue came when I tried to sleep. There was a group a few rooms down the hall who were extremely loud, intoxicated, and disruptive—yelling and dropping things until 5 a.m. I attempted to contact the front desk, but had no luck. I understand that guests being disruptive isn’t necessarily the hotel’s fault, but I also wouldn’t feel comfortable staying here again if that’s something they allow to slide. It was a full night at the hotel, and I’m surprised no one stepped in. I resorted to turning on the TV and playing a sound machine on my phone just to drown out the noise. By 9 a.m., they were still being loud, which pushed me to shower and leave as soon as I could. When I checked out, I tried to bring up the issue to the front desk, and all I received were two complimentary water bottles. At least I wasn’t thirsty. Unfortunately, this experience was disappointing, and I don’t think I’ll be returning.

Immaculate building. Polite staff. Well-equipped gym. Oddly for a Hampton, in the room: poor sink construction, water damaged bathroom, no central light and no light at the desk. Elsewhere: no sliced fruit at breakfast, no decaffeinated tea, empty coffee pots, missing ice machines, locked lounge. I have realistic expectations at this level, and experience with the chain, but this hotel fell short. Again, absolutely wonderful and attentive staff.

Hampton Inn & Suites San Jose: Solid Stay! A solid 4-star experience! The staff here are incredibly attentive and accommodating, always going the extra mile. The convenient location makes getting around San Jose a breeze. Clean rooms and comfortable beds. Knocking off a star for minor breakfast overcrowding, but overall, a great choice! Highly recommended for business or leisure.

I travel frequently from San Diego to the Bay Area to visit friends and family and have stayed at this Hampton Inn & Suites multiple times. Its best feature is the location—it's very close to San Jose Airport and offers easy access to Highway 87 and 101. There’s also a Starbucks nearby, which is perfect for quick morning coffee runs. The rooms are clean and functional, but the bathroom sink design is a bit odd. The faucets are positioned at the corner of the basin, so washing your hands ends up being awkward. It’s a minor issue, but noticeable. One thing to be aware of: if your room faces the street, you’ll likely hear the light rail passing by throughout the night. If you’re a light sleeper, I highly recommend bringing earplugs or requesting a room that doesn’t face the street. It’s not unbearable, but definitely something to consider if you're sensitive to noise. I always use Hilton’s app to choose my room and activate the digital key, which is convenient. However, parking costs $10 per night, and you still need to stop by the front desk to pick up a parking pass. I’ve never had trouble finding a spot, and I’m not sure how strictly the passes are monitored. Security does patrol the lot, but they use an unmarked vehicle. At first, I thought someone was lurking around the lot—it wasn't until I saw them again that I realized it was hotel security. A clearly marked car would go a long way in providing reassurance to guests. The area doesn’t have many food options. There’s a Denny’s and a 76 gas station convenience store down the street, but that’s about it. I usually rely on DoorDash when I stay here. During my most recent visit, there seemed to have been a sprinkler malfunction—piles of towels lined the first-floor hallways with caution signs everywhere. The air conditioning also seemed nonexistent in the elevators and the fifth-floor hallways, making common areas feel stuffy. The front desk texted to check in on my stay, which I appreciated, but when I replied asking for extra towels, I never got a response. They texted again the next day, but by then it felt like no one was actually monitoring the replies. Overall, this hotel is fine for a quick stay—comfortable enough to sleep and shower. I haven’t tried the breakfast, so I can’t speak to that. I’ll probably check out the Hilton Garden Inn San Jose Airport on my next visit, as it’s a newer build and may offer a bit more comfort.

[The good] - Proximity to the light rail station/tram station Karina, is awesome for me, who wants to use public transit (downtown is just a few stops away) - 3 room cards in a double bed room! that's insane! i could keep 1 card in the electric thing (so my laptop charges), give 1 to a friend, and keep one for myself! more hotels should do this - Filtered water refill station at the lobby floor - 24/7 reception + a small shop (useful when you need 2 AM advil, and cola to wash it down with) - Free coffee/tea in the lobby - Microwave, and a mini-fridge in room - AC/Heater/Fan - Overall calm area of San Jose - Staff is friendly, and extremely helpful - Double room is quite spacious [The bad] - Sound insulation sucks, both from the hotel hallway, where you hear guests walking, and talking or from the street - not an issue for me, personally but worth mentioning - Some of the furniture was kinda broken, again, not an issue for me, but some people might dislike it - The breakfast, not really bad, but the selection of food is awful, there's little variety, and doesn't taste well — after 4 days i literally stopped going to the hotel breakfast, and just went to the downtown - The AC control doesn't allow switching to Celsius [The ugly] - The faucet of eternal pain, everyone mentions it here, and i agree, it's honestly awful how bad it is (see video someone posted here), you'll get water everywhere trying to wash hands

My visited started out rough. The front desk (John Huynh) was trying to charge me an extra $100 more than what my reservation had said (and no, I don't mean the $100 deposit). He was charging me for a higher rate per night. I showed him my email with the total, so he tried to charge me for that. I tapped my card, but the card reader was taking longer than what John wanted it to take (20 seconds- John). So, he "canceled" my transaction. However, on my bank statement, the charge had gone through and took the amount. I showed him the statement, but he refused to cooperate. He began to show rude attitude (sighing, rolling his eyes, and speaking about me to his co-worker in another language). I had to get my bank involved, and when the claims agent tried to speak to him, John ignored the conversation and went to scroll on his phone. When she (the claim agent) gave him clear instructions, he constantly refused to follow the instructions (list address of hotel, corporate phone number, and his testimony of the event). I told him that she would need the corporate number, he refused and gave me the email of his manager instead. When I told him I needed corporate's number, per the instruction of my claim agent, he stormed off into a back room, leaving me at the counter for approximately 10 minutes. When he returned, he said that I could check in for the night (still refusing to give me corporate's number). The room he gave me was not the room I had selected on the hilton app. Instead, it was an old, damaged, and poorly lit room. I will post the photos here. I do not recommend staying at this location! I also warn you to check the amount a front clerk says with the confirmation email you receive where you stay. Please, please, please, do not stay at this location! **Edit** The refrigerator doesn't work either! Spoke to John about the damages in my room and he wanted to send a man into my room at 9:35 at night. I am a female and I don't feel safe. Also, I showed him the photos of the damage, but he still insisted a man goes to my room to check it. Insinuating that I am lying!

Nestled conveniently near the airport, Best Western Plus Airport Plaza is a charming and low-key hotel that offers a delightful stay for travelers. Guests can unwind in the outdoor pool or hot tub after a long journey. The hotel provides complimentary breakfast, parking, and Wi-Fi to enhance your experience. The breakfast spread features healthy options like scrambled eggs and protein choices such as sausage or bacon, alongside traditional high-carb fare—perfect for all dietary preferences!
A great value for the price. The rooms are very nice, clean, and well decorated. The service staff is excellent - especially the room service and breakfast service. The full breakfast is really nice (I just wish they had fresh brewed coffee). Great location - near the highway and airport, but very quiet. Will stay there again when I am in the area.

I have stayed here several times & every time it's been great! Hot breakfast in the morning & espresso machine with several coffee drinks to choose & it's available all day & night free of charge. The staff are all really nice. Pool & Hot Tube to use & an excursive room available.

This is my first time staying at this hotel for business and it is a great spot! Perfect location, safe and close to the San Jose Mineta Airport. The room, bathroom, mattress, pillows/linens were very clean and comfortable. The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and professional. Hot breakfast in the morning and espresso machine with several coffee drinks to choose from and it's available all day & night free of charge.

We had an opportunity to stay for two nights at this Best Western Plus, really close to San Jose airport and very conveniently located. We checked in an hour earlier and the staff were really helpful and allowed us to check in early. Rooms are a little dated but were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was adequate, not a lot of great selections, but it was definitely worth the price. Good stop if you are in the area and just looking for a room to spend the night. No frills, adequate hotel. Free coffee in a fancy coffee machine in lobby.

Room is clean. Oh they have white new towels. Shower curtain, bed sheets, pillow cases all clean and no smell. These are very important to me. Maybe so far the best Best Western hotel I’ve been stayed in my life. Breakfast included but very very disappointing. There is room for improvement! Parking space adequate.

Breakfast was good! It's the only hotel that I've been to where you can get guacamole. The only downsides are that too much light comes in through the blinds and the street noise from Alameda Street might be excessive.

I was disappointed with my stay. The location is nice and close to the airport but my room had a puke smell both days of my stay. My TV did not work. I then go to the pool and they tell me at the front desk that the pool and jacuzzi is down for at least a month…. So frustrating.

Extended stay hotel
Downtown San Jose hotel with great amenities and a convenient location. The Elan offers rooms with microwaves, mini fridges, premium cable tv and free wifi. It also has a continental breakfast available.
The manager is very nice, the rooms are updated with quartz tile and countertops, the bed was comfortable. It’s actually much nicer than I expected at this price point. There is pretty consistent din of traffic passing by and an occasional jet on approach to the San Jose Airport, but inside the room it was fairly quiet. My room was missing a few things: no shelf in the shower, no trash can in the bathroom and there’s no rod for hanging clothes, but the rooms come with mini-fridge and mini-microwave which others at this price do not. Oh, and a cash deposit is required on check-in but promptly refunded at check out.
Michael M — Google review
The pictures they use are fake or photoshop. They are not as modern as they make it out to see. The walls have scuff marks all over them and foreign particles on the bathroom walls. The door looks older than I am and seems like no insulation was used as the room was slightly warmer than outside. When we got here I was told my reservation wasn't available and they had to give me a different room. The TV didn't work. It's okay for an $80 stay but I would rather pay a little more for something better.

well, detail, like this place uses generators to get there customers sick, listen to other perpetrators out there, this is a business, if we wanted to get COVID 19, we wouldn’t come here, but just because it’s a hate crime and this nice place, we’ll, i guess you want to fit into the program, well, guess what???? Special Agent Sanchez & James, FBI are right across the street boys. The red car, cameras everywhere inside and out now, it better stop now!!!!! bad boys we just called the Santa Clara Health Dept about these gasses in the room

The owner (or front desk lady) is not a happy person. I had to ask for toilet paper. Then I had to ask for a wash towel. But the best part is where i had to ask for room service. 1st she tried to say to wait until the next day. I made her come look at the room because it really needed attention upon checking in. Oh, and our AC did not work. The restroom light turns off after 1 minute. If you're in the shower, it'll keep turning off. U have to wave your hand uncontrollably to turn it back on.
Jamie C — Google review
The hotel is fine, only the reception service is bad, there was an Indian woman, I asked her if she could help me by charging my cell phone since I didn't have a cable, she answered me in a rude way, I'm not angry because she didn't do me the favor. It is the attitude that it has towards the guests, if it is a hotel at least it should have good attention and be friendly when responding. it is my opinion.
Sergio S — Google review
Thank you for your service at this hotel I really wish they will accommodate more of the handicapped people I wish they had updated the whole rooms instead of just the bathrooms the closets had no space to hang your clothes and also they should have coffee pots microwaves and also better cleaning I do not like that you check in at 3:00 p.m. and have to leave at 11:00 a.m. the next morning the price is too high or what they're asking for and how many hours you can be there do you have to pay an extra $30 for being there early it should be the same as other all hotels that let you check in at any time and when you already paid they would want you to make 100.00 deposit that is very unfair for the time that they give you to stay there the service with the front desk management was very excellent in professional but otherwise making people leave when they're handicap and take their time yes they do give you more time but as far as the room everything needs to be updated and also more pillows and comforters they are very thin and also even when you put the heat on it still is cold for a thin throw blanket. Please lower the price and also update the whole rooms it's sad that you cannot have any visitors and then you have to pay all that money for a room that you cannot check into until 3:00 p.m. and have to leave at 11 that is not fair at all ! I would like to be accommodated with more hours paying a high price for a room is not fair at all!
Michelea R — Google review
Unfortunately everything is very expensive in the Bay area, and it is not different with this hotel. Not worth the price. Check in was weird. The lady at the hotel desk asked me three times if I was going to stay alone in the room. One night, coming back from work, I saw a woman offering services in front of the hotel. That is probably the concern of the lady in the front desk. Anyway, the fact that the hotel reception stays locked during the evening, with service being provided through a small window indicates that the employees think this place is insecure. I have to say, though, that I didn't witness anything dangerous or different from what can be seen these days at any place in the Bay area. The room was dirty. Bed sheets had stains. The bathroom floor had woman hair on the floor. Bed sheets and curtains had tears. Overall very bad conservation of the room. Cleaning service was promised for every other day, but they provided service everyday, which was a surprise. Very few amenities were provided in the bathroom, so I needed to buy some stuff at a nearby supermarket.
Leonardo G — Google review
DO NOT STAY HERE!! I was scammed into thinking their rooms were clean because of the photos they posted online via Capital One Travel. When I arrived to my room, I saw that the smoke detector was hanging from the ceiling, the mattress frames were disgustingly stained with who knows what(and possibly the mattress too, I didn't even want to touch them). Even the floor was dirty with hair in random places! The furnishings were also not as advertised! They offered to put me in another room but at this point I had NO TRUST in their cleaning protocol. They refused to provide me with a refund. I would rate ZERO stars if I could.

I'm speechless. We stayed here for four days and three nights, and not once did we receive housekeeping service. Even when I went out to ask them directly, no one came. Every day, we had to call the front desk just to get fresh towels. Yet, on the last day, when we were checking out, housekeeping was knocking on our door early in the morning, eager to clean the room. The breakfast quality was terrible. Don't try to gaslight me with "it's a free breakfast, so be grateful" nonsense. I've stayed at other Holiday Inn Express locations, and this one was by far the worst. The eggs were so watery they seemed like they were meant for pigs, not humans. We ended up choosing not to go downstairs for breakfast anymore. The cleanliness was also unacceptable. We found mysterious orange stains on the towels—what is going on here?
Jiayu S — Google review
Not the worst hotel I’ve ever done, but certainly the worst Holiday Inn express. The doors to the rooms had no hydraulics and they slam shut so all night you’re waking up. Rooms are ok but a bit shabby. Towels and bathroom could’ve been cleaner.

Horrible experience and staff does not care to fix. They charhe 10$ parking which is not posted. We had 2 nights booked and both night was just so noisy we couldn't sleep. A tile yard on our side of the building had loud roof speakers blaring music all night. I called front desk no answer. I found blood on my sheets that looked fresh and smeared poop on the wall next to toilet. 2nd night same horribly loud music plus unaccompanied kids above us running and stomping and slamming doors well past midnight..3 calls to front desk without resolution. On check out day we got an loud pounding on our doir for housekeeping to get out room cleaned but we had not checked out yet. Expressed my concern the next morning. No manager on duty I was told. Neel the GM will call the next day. I called next day and he was to busy to take my call. I was told I would get a call back and nothing. So disappointing as holiday I'm is our preferred hotel when traveling.

A very inconvenient spot not the best Holliday inn I've seen, but to give it credit it's clean and very nice. Lite rail is a decent walk from this, also with the bus strikes going on I had to walk and hour and 30 to get there. Good for corporate stuff, but bad for events. I highly suggest any meeting rooms for Cons and such be at a closer Holliday inn to downtown San Jose. And they should provide that information for the type of events they are taking in, because this one is far from a good location. Maybe if the lite rail was working I would give it 3 stars.

Kris made the entire stay feel uncomfortable and unsafe. Late at night around 11 PM, he knocked on our door twice — which scared my daughter — despite the towels being requested hours earlier. Then, during checkout, he yelled at me in front of another customer for something he later admitted was his own fault. His aggressive and unprofessional behavior left us feeling disrespected and uneasy. Completely unacceptable. Do not come here, it’s not enjoyable.

Warm, classic quarters, some with balconies, in a tranquil hotel offering parking, Wi-Fi & a gym.
Stayed three times this year. It's a favorite location for sure. The atmosphere is relaxing. Service is sincere and proactive. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Would caution on the suites at the front. They get very warm with afternoon sun and AC doesn't keep up. Especially if housekeeping turns it off when you are gone (which they did every day). Give this place a try. I know we are coming back.

I love everything about this hotel from the comfy beds to balcony rooms with a view of trees and a creek that runs through the back of the property. It’s a very quiet tranquil environment. Each room is well appointed with robes and vanity mirrors etc. My only complaint and a 4 star instead of a 5 star rating is that Hilton used plug in air fresheners in the lobby and on each hallway floor of the hotel. The front desk person told me most guest enjoy the scent. But what about guests who would prefer just to breathe clean air and not chemical fragrances ? It was tolerable when they only had the plugins in the lobby. But to add it to each floor? I’d invest the money in air purifiers for the hotel instead of spending money on polluting the air for guests and hotel employees.

Likely the single most enjoyable hotel stay I've ever experienced. As far as the building itself... It's not brand new, it's not flashy, and it isn't the greatest example of fit and finish you'll find. There are nicer places with faster elevators, and bigger rooms. If you're looking for clean, well appointed, and comfortable rooms, this is a great place to start! The staff was impeccable! Everyone was sweet, personable, professional, and eager to help. The beds are heavenly. The location is perfect for walking to the shops and restaurants in Saratoga. The creek sounds made our stay magical. 10/10 experience!!!

A quaint boutique, hotel with well appointed and spacious rooms nestled in a serene wooded area. Hotel staff is friendly and welcoming. The hotel is well-maintained and clean They offer breakfast and afternoon cocktails, and dinner bites. A special shout out to Oliver a breakfast server with a great attitude and tremendous hustle. There were a couple times when he was the only server for filled indoor and outdoor breakfast. He did a great job, probably waiting on 10 separate tables and literally running from inside to outside, so patrons didn't have to wait. Front staff Fatima and Javier always amazing. The only negative is a super super slow elevator!

I stayed here for a night and overall a poor experience. The walls are very thin so I heard everyone walking past and the person next door coughing the entire night. In addition, they attempted to charge me $50 for a 2/2:30pm late check out (I am Hilton Gold). Person at the front desk did not even tell me about the extra charge until I saw it in my account. Regardless, I left at 10:30am due to the poor experience and loud noise.

Very cute hotel! Hoping to stay here next year for my wedding. The staff is very friendly and Gretchen was very kind and showed us around and swerved all of our questions!! They have a beautiful patio area and atmosphere. It’s right in Saratoga and close to the town. . . . Update- 5-19-25- I stayed at the inn for MY WEDDING! It was beautiful and magical as the entire hotel is surrounded by gorgeous trees and creeks. The only downside was Unfortunately there were issues with the HVAC in many of the rooms, including some of my guests. I don’t know that anything was done, or if the repairs done were enough to fix the problem.

Upon arrival, you might be greeted by friendly staff who are eager to assist.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The motel was convenient to most things in the area. We showed up very early after a long flight, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We were able to get into a room without a problem. The only issues we had was that our shower took over 30 minutes to get warm (not hot) and a limited selection at breakfast. Other than those issues, my wife and I had a great time.

Cute on the inside, but needs some tlc. Putty over holes but never painted, screws on walls hanging out, old lock on door with holes and pain peeling, some wires cutt hat I have no idea what they are. Bed is comfy. Bathroom is decent. My room got skipped for maid service the first day I was here. Didn't really care, I am not a messy traveler. I didn't realize it was a 2 star hotel until I pulled up. Now I see why. It's good for partying kids and that's what is mostly here, but for a family or trip, I'd recommend trying somewhere else.

The hotel online looks decent, but the complete opposite in person. The hotel was literally falling apart. Dirty room, dirty sheets, horrible host. Not friendly staff. You can hear the next room over from yours. The area infested with homelessness make sure you lock your doors. Never again will I book a room with them.

This room seemed ok but unfortunately, the carpet had little stain black spots. I just checked out the mini fridge have few rust I noticed I smell of you put the bleach after I grabbed it small towel as put hot water as clean out smelly bleach due I can't have a chemical on here. Recommend you put vintage on the mini fridge instead of bleach cause rust and chemicals are not safe for me. And lousy customer service

Ok room, comfortable bed. No cups or coffee available in lobby. Not enough towels for a family of 4. Pool out of order, shows breakfast available but haven’t served breakfast in 3 years! Stuff not friendly at all. Got there a few minutes before checkin and was denied service until checkin time. Clerk wasn’t even busy just sitting. What the heck. Great location to the civic center, but that’s the only thing great that I can say. We will never come back.

Rooms were clean, but smaller and tighter than most motels. They give you ice buckets....but there's no ice machine.....so....yeah. But there's a pool! It's tiny, but it serves the purpose. Service is sort of the standard California couldn't be bothered type. Friendly and polite, just absolutely zero sense of urgency. Walking distance to several decent restaurants.

This is a basic motel with a thin veneer of modern style slapped hastily on top. We chose it for easy access to San Jose State campus, and it was good in this regard. It wasn't very quiet or clean, but it wasn't bad. The beds were comfortable with clean sheets.

I will give a detailed review of this inn to give justice to their service and in the hopes it would help other customers in the future. Cheap accommodation. It is 8mins away by car to SJC airport. You can literally see the planes flying through outside your room (see pics for reference). Check in is at 3pm however if any rooms are available you can check in earlier. We were able to check in at 2:30pm. Although we tried checking in at 1:20pm but we got denied which is understandable. The front desk people were nice and accommodating. The lady who checked us in asked us for any room preference and was able to provide it to us. Kudos to her! Room was spacious and the bed was big and comfortable enough. Fridge and microwave were available. The door lock is secure using a card key. By the looks of it, they have upgraded it from the old style. However, the AC needed upgrading. It was too loud and couldn’t make the room warm so we just relied with the bed blanket. There was a working desk with a lamp that had a usb and regular outlet which was pretty convenient. Flat tv and huge facing the bed. There was a closet with iron and iron board. Beautiful sink and mirror with good lighting. Complimentary soaps, shampoo and lotion are available. Two body towels and bath mat are provided. Hot water in the shower was functional. Location of this inn is safe. And lastly, you can hear your neighbor rooms if they are too loud (video included for reference).

Hilton Garden Inn San Jose Airport is conveniently located within walking distance of the airport, offering a clean and modern look. The lobby is spacious, and the bar/restaurant has a good selection, although some feel that prices could be more competitive. The rooms are impeccably clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable stay. While there's only one washer and dryer in the laundry room, the exceptional staff members go above and beyond to ensure guests' needs are met.
This property is clean and close to the freeway. The customer service was amazing! There was an issue with our room the first night and the manager, Mr. Cordova, rectified the problem immediately. Lira from the front desk was sweet and helpful. We will definitely be returning to this property. We had a wonderful stay.

Nice hotel, located In a terrible neighborhood, with disappointing breakfast. If you need a place to stay near the airport and won't need to leave the hotel you'll be fine. I looked out the window in the morning and got to see someone trying all the door knobs of the cars parked behind the hotel near a bunch of boarded up buildings. That same person walked past me by the lobby doors while I was waiting for the shuttle driver at 8:30 am. If you park here make sure you take everything out of your car and lock it. The made to order omelet was fine, but the potatoes were oddly mushy and may have been microwaved to reheat them. The facility itself is nice. The rooms are spacious. There are nifty motion sensor red lights that give enough illumination at night if you have to get up to use the bathroom. If give it four stars if the breakfast options were better. It's too bad about the neighborhood around it.

We are Hilton honors members. We frequented the Hilton Garden Inn at San Mateo multiple times in the last year with the last visit two months ago, and we stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn at Calabasas, California, three weeks ago. We have been very impressed with Hilton Garden Inn brand. Reason for the low score for this property is the following: Physical plant, rooms: these are fine. Front desk service: Pichy took care of my questions by phone and also in person when I arrive for check-in. She was very polite, helpful, and warm. This is the same standard I found at the other two Hilton Garden Inn front desk services. Breakfast: this is where Hilton Garden in San Jose branch significantly pales in comparison to Hilton Garden Inn, San Mateo, and Calabasas. The San Mateo branch offers a robust breakfast with warm and continental options. They also include omelettes that are made to order. These are all included in the breakfast option when you check in the hotel and include the breakfast option in your room rate. They cater to the Asian population as they have many of the major airline staff members from Japan and Korea and tourist visiting. In addition, they have a diverse population of other ethnicities as clients. Their breakfast options reflect all these different cultures. The service by the waiters and waitresses and Bus boys Are quite good and rapid. The Calabasas branch also offers made to order omelettes as well as warm and continental breakfast options. The waiter and bus boys were very fast and hospitable. Their continental breakfast was not as robust as the San Mateo one, but it still was pretty darn good. They did not cater to all the different ethnicities. It was a standard American breakfast option. I included the breakfast option when I reserved the room. San Jose Airport branch: I included the breakfast option when I reserve the room at this branch just as I did with San Mateo and Calabasas. However, the hostess stated that omelette was not included in the breakfast option. This was quite surprising, giving that the price for breakfast was the same as that offered at San Mateo and Calabasas which ranges from $16-$25 depending on the room reservation deal that I sign up for. The San Jose airport breakfast was costing the same price, and yet they did not offer made to order omelettes. The hostess stated that for an additional $17 I could order the made to order omelette. I could not believe this. This meant that I had to pay $15-$20 for continental breakfast with some warm options which were just standard American food options And an additional $17 for M for made to order omelette. It was not the hostess’s fault, because she stated that it was The Manager’s decision to do this. She understood that other Hilton Garden Inn breakfast options included the omelette. The problem is that I could stay at a Hampton Inn or other hotel that serves similar breakfast options as the San Jose branch at a significantly lower hotel rate with good quality rooms that do not charge extra for breakfast. The Continental and warm breakfast options were not as robust as even the Calabasas location, so getting the breakfast option at San Jose airport site is not worth the cost. The Manager needs to reevaluate his or her decision and price point and breakfast options. The San Mateo branch and the Calabasas branch are of high-quality service and breakfast options, and the San Jose airport branch needs to be at least on par with those branches when it comes to the breakfast options.

Why a low review? This is not a reliable “airport” hotel, as a global brand, fails to provide available airport shuttle service before or after a certain time to service a smaller international airport like SJC. We booked this hotel since it was advertised as a hotel with a “free shuttle service” both on the Hilton app and on a google search, no where was I able to find where it is openly stated that shuttle operation stop at 9 PM, mind you, all other hotels are still running a shuttle well after 9 PM while we waited patiently before resorting to a ride share service. Bottom-line, don’t call yourself an airport hotel if you can’t keep up with others establishments in the area especially when you aren’t able to provide the same services as other establishments under the Hilton brand, not acceptable. I may be pinching pennies but that’s still $25 for a rideshare when it should have been complimentary. You stake your name on reliability and this Hilton location didn’t inspire confidence. Posted the above before I actually settled into our room and to add insult to injury, this place can’t even do the simple thing which is plastered on the bathroom mirror which states, “replenish amenities”, the shampoo bottles mounted on the wall couldn’t be any emptier! Who here actually maintains quality control? I’m not experiencing the quality unless all this place wants to do is make as much money with hopes no ones else notices the lack of attention to the guest experience. After a prior 24hrs of travel with one more leg to go, all we wanted was to get clean and sleep, this was lacking in comparison to the Hilton Garden Inn we just stayed prior to arriving here, oddly a foreign operator took much more pride in the guest experience, shocking. This hotel by its specific name sake had a couple of simple and basic expectation that it couldn’t even meet, take guests to/from the airport and provide a clean, safe, and comfortable space a guest can use each night of their stay. Failed and failed. If you have the choice, don’t make our mistake, stay somewhere else, anywhere else, just not here. If you’re trying to stay loyal to the Hilton brand, there are other options in the immediate area that may be less disappointing.

I’m familiar with this area because I used to come here for work and stayed at the Holiday Inn just across the street. I remember when this hotel was under construction—every time I passed by, I thought: “Wow, that hotel is going to turn out great.” This time, I decided to stay here out of curiosity, since it’s a new property, and I want to share my honest experience. This hotel has the potential to be a five-star property, especially for executive or business travelers. However, my experience was disappointing in several key aspects. The first thing that urgently needs improvement is the customer service at the front desk. The staff felt cold, distant, and unwelcoming. I wasn’t expecting anything special, just a polite and professional check-in—but even that was lacking. The process felt uncomfortable and impersonal. Despite being a new hotel, there are already several issues. One of the elevators was out of service when I arrived. Room service was slow. The laundry room was also out of order. The hallways were dimly lit, and some lamps weren’t working, giving the place a neglected feel. Another important point: the food. The menu is very limited and overpriced—$25 for basic options that don’t even include coffee. For comparison, just four blocks away I bought a large, delicious cappuccino and a Cuban torta (a type of sandwich) for $19—both of great quality. That local experience far surpassed what the hotel offered. It’s a shame that Hilton hands over new properties to management teams that clearly are not doing their job properly. Despite the heavy investment in this building, it’s being run like an outdated, under-resourced property, lacking the professionalism you expect from a Hilton brand. It’s truly disappointing to see a brand-new hotel start out this poorly. In summary, I honestly don’t think this hotel is worth what you pay—especially when the price exceeds $140 per night. Even though the building is new and modern, the service is lacking and the overall experience leaves much to be desired. I recommend exploring other options in the area and reserving this hotel only as a last resort, if nothing else is available with better reviews and service.

I had a very unpleasant and stressful experience at this hotel. I accidentally walked into this Hilton Garden Inn instead of my actual booking nearby. At first, everything was fine — I showed my passport at reception while checking my booking, and the receptionist told me it was the wrong hotel. I stepped out, walked about 60 seconds to my Uber, and left for the correct hotel. When I arrived at the other hotel, I realized my passport was missing. I immediately returned to this Hilton Garden Inn to ask about it. The receptionist I had dealt with was extremely rude and dismissive. Instead of being helpful in such a serious matter (a lost passport), she said she didn’t want to talk to me and told me not to give her stress. She also claimed she didn’t have access to security cameras and that I’d need to wait 3–4 days. This was shocking, because a lost passport is an urgent matter and requires immediate attention. Later, when I called 911 and went back inside, another staff member quickly checked the cameras and found my passport within seconds. This clearly showed that the first receptionist was either lying or deliberately unhelpful. The second staff member resolved the situation immediately, but the rude and careless behavior of the first receptionist was unacceptable and caused me a lot of unnecessary stress. Losing a passport is a serious issue, and staff should act with empathy, urgency, and professionalism — not rudeness or dishonesty. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this hotel. I am not sure how Hilton hires such staff members without proper stress tests or basic professionalism checks — this kind of behavior is unacceptable for a brand like Hilton.

Overall a nice place. Perfect location near airport and freeways. Staff, rooms and food were great. The main floor and the 5th floor where I stayed had an odd musty smell though like they had a recent water damage but who knows.
Chris O — Google review
The room is clean and basic. The air conditioner is rather noisy when it turns on to cool the room. The breakfast does not have a large selection, but is rather homecooked kind of breakfast that make it a comforting meal.

Very clean rooms, relatively quiet considering the vocation on The Alameda. staff was very courteous, efficient, and helpful. No problems whatsoever. Five star experience for a budget motel overnight.

The room was clean, the location was good, small parking lot but doable with larger vehicles, The only problem I had was with the ladies in the front, it took over 30 mins for them to check me in after I had pre paid for the room. They were showing me a cancellation while I was showing them a receipt and a confirmation email, plus my online banking statement saying the room was already paid for. I finally get checked in my room key doesn't work, I had to call the front desk. The lady wanted me to come get the key from the office, I already had all my bags upstairs. I told her to just bring me the key unless she planned on helping me carry all my stuff back I was going to leave a considerable amount of bags outside a hotel room door. Later on that night our smoke alarm went off we were told to take the battery out of the alarm. The manager( the man) was very nice he allowed us to get a late check out at 1pm vs 11am. So we are Greatful for that, my boyfriend and I were here visiting to see Rigoletto at the San Jose Opera house

A very comfortable and clean hotel with all the essentials. The room had plenty of storage space and a large TV. The staff were friendly and provided helpful local tips. The hotel shuttle service made getting to the airport easy

Exceptionally clean room. Wonderful service. Beds were comfortable and the sheets smelled so clean. Located right off of the highway. San Jose airport is 5 minutes away!

Kind of like Motel 6, not fancy and no extras, it is just another motel along the Alameda. What sets it apart is that it is overpriced and the staff is super rude. But it is clean, so it could be worse.

Very clean rooms and quiet! The beds were super comfortable and the shower had good water pressure. Our family also liked the location of being right near a craft-coffee cafe with amazing breakfast food. The manager of the Valley Inn is super helpful and friendly!

There are good and bad things about this place. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows were fluffy and soft. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The shower was great. Water pressure was nice and strong, the hot and cold settings worked great. The same cannot be said about the air conditioner. It came out so low that it took a full 7 hours to begin to cool the room down. No exaggeration. The "free breakfast" was cold, dry cereal in a big tub and guests had to stick their hands in it to get the cereal. To me, that kind of sucked. They also had some pastries that looked like they might have been sat on. They advertised a pool but I never did find it. The final straw for me was when the county health inspectors showed up and put on masks before they would enter a certain room on the main floor. They had clipboards and were taking a lot of notes. This is never a good sign. I am only hoping that no bed bugs and no meth cooking crack heads were involved. Thanks and good luck!

Nestled just outside of San Jose, the Los Gatos Garden Inn is a charming Mediterranean-style hotel that offers a delightful escape for travelers. With its inviting rooms featuring options like patio settings and serene garden views, guests can enjoy a cozy atmosphere adorned with vintage decor. The property boasts beautifully maintained gardens that provide a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring the area.
Jackie and her team are wonderful. Pete is patient and kind. Gabe makes sure to keep the grounds comfortable and ensures that everything is running smoothly. I feel safe, the rooms are quiet, clean, and there is always someone to help when I have questions. The Garden Inn Hotel is conveniently located downtown and walking distance to all the local shops and restaurants. I am extremely grateful to have been introduced to this hotel and the staff. I had a great time during my stay and I am appreciative of their kindness. Thank you!!

The staff was really nice. The area its located is perfect, and the little patio area is cute. The room is pretty small and a bit outdated for my taste. It reminds me of a grandma's small spare room with a bathroom, and it smelled like it, too. That was a BIG negative thing for me. It smelled dusty and old. There was purifier, which was nice, and I definitely ran it all night. The room was cleaned ok, but there were cobwebs in the shower and other small things that made me question if they actually really cleaned it. FYI, I would not call it a hotel at all. A motel or inn would fit better. I most likely would not stay here again, but if you were pressed for time to find a place like I was, you can't really beat the price. ($115) Ps: The shower was pretty nice besides the cobwebs.

We had a wonderful stay at this boutique hotel. The rooms were cute and clean. It's walking distance to hiking trails and restaurants in the area. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. Can't wait to come back sometime in the future.

The only thing this hotel as going for it is the location. It Los Gato's. Sadly, this hotel has left a bad taste in my mouth for Los Gato's. Broken shower tiles, dirty, moldy, left me wondering if the sheets had actually been changed for my visit. Overall, one of the worst hotels I have ever experienced. The shower door was broken and half of it was removed (not repaired). Bold move to rent a room like this. Especially when just 100 yards away is a jewel of a hotel. Retro and quaint has its limits. My closet door didn't open and would hit the bed so I couldn't even store my luggage or hang any clothes. This experience taught me where NOT to stay, to research and look at ratings.
Becky E — Google review
We biked the Los Gatos Creek trail to the hotel, which is right off the trail, and was a fun way to get there for a staycation. We lucked out and happened to get the room where Marilyn and Joe actually stayed. The hotel is in a fantastic location and we didn’t need anything but our feet to get around for the weekend. There’s plenty to do - we ate well (Purple Onion for breakfast was awesome), we enjoyed hiking, shopping, wine tasting at Testarossa, listening to live music and dancing and strolling around town. Los Gatos is a great weekend spot. The hotel room was really comfortable, with a small kitchen, office area and lots of light. It’s also quiet and charming. We really liked it and hope to return for another getaway.
Desta R — Google review
To be honest the only good thing about this “hotel” is the location. This is an extremely basic hotel. The people giving it good reviews need to reflect on their preferences and maybe go out a bit more. This feels more like a motel in the room layout and distribution. It’s in a relatively good location 5 min away from downtown Los Gatos and nearby the trail, but that’s the only positive thing about this hotel. If you’re only sleeping here and you’re on business travel alone then I would give this 3 stars instead of 2 but if someone is coming with you please look for something better.
Rodrigo L — Google review
Stayed at a room with two twin beds. Very helpful and responsive front desk staff. They helped me with my heater and brought an extra luggage rack when requested. I also appreciated how they brought my bags to the room while I moved my car to their parking lot. Hotel has parking in the back of their property. Great location to shops and restaurants. You can walk instead of driving. However, the room walls were very thin so I could hear the next room’s exhaust fan go on throughout the night. The beds sagged so much in the middle and were uncomfortable. Didn’t get good sleep for 2 nights.
Pam B — Google review
The room was very reasonably priced. The room was clean. I use the black light like I always do to check for bugs, fluids, etc. the hotel is on the main street. It’s a beautiful area. Plenty of places to eat bike rentals trails and parks nearby. The staff were very nice and very helpful they answered all my questions and help me get into a room after hours.

Signature Inn Santa Clara offers a unique blend of retro charm and modern cleanliness, making it an interesting choice for travelers. With its cute 70s-themed decor, the hotel provides a friendly atmosphere complemented by courteous staff. While the rooms are clean and well-maintained, guests have noted some drawbacks such as limited amenities like hair dryers available only upon request and thin walls that may allow noise from neighboring rooms to seep in. The breakfast situation could use more clarity, leaving some guests uncertain about their options.
Ever since I first booked and called the signature inn motel, I got good customer service and quick responses. When I actually got to the property it was inviting and looked like it was well kept. The rooms were looking like they were recently renovated. There was no body aimlessly walking around, no cops, just me and relaxation🤨so, my hats off to the signature inn. Thanks and I appreciate the hospitality. Will be booking here again....the only thing I would say that they do need, is vending machines and breakfast. Other than that, 9 out of 10

Early check-in cost me $30. ($10 per hour) The room was nice, and clean. Bathroom very accommodating and modern. Still waiting for my security deposit to be refunded, it's been 2 weeks. Predatory policies, I don't advise 😒 to stay there.

I have stayed at the Signature Inn several times in the past year. I am impressed! The staff are friendly and accommodating. They remember me when I come back, which feels really nice. The location is prime if you're traveling by air and want to walk easily to a market, or the quaint coffee shop across the street. I have had deliveries to the room from Target and local eateries with no problem. Their prices are very reasonable. Its everything I want and need with no headaches.

I booked this motel through hotels.com. I would never stay here again! The floors were clean-ish but looked dirty! We checked in and I wiped the floor and it the paper towel was dirty! Sheets had stains. Showers were only hot for a few minutes. Towels are cheap and never dried. Our smoke detector went off and wouldn’t turn off! The ironing board had a tear in the cover. Broken drawers. Dirty walls! Just got what others on hotels.com rated it. It’s a decent location, coffee shop across the street and places to eat in walking distance!

Nice for location and rooms are styled nice. This was my second time staying here , and I was disappointed that the bedding was itchy and uncomfortable, and the bathroom certainly hadn’t been cleaned up on my scheduled arrival and check in. There was hair from the previous guest in the bathtub and on the counter. Not my favorite stay, but not bad. Biggest issue was cleanliness.

A surprisingly amazing little motel/hotel. Great room designs, colors, furniture, and decoration. From the outside, it looks like a 2 star, but the rooms are 4 stars. But not for slightly louder A/C and heater, this was a great bargain!

The property boasts gated parking for an additional fee and features extensive security measures that ensure guests feel safe during their stay.
Got the basic studio. We had everything we needed for a week stay. I love that the kitchen had everything we needed. Best of all, so clean!! Better than the chain hotels that's a hit or miss when it comes to cleanliness. There's secure parking and laundry machines. The front desk and managers are always helpful. Michelle gave me a tour of the other rooms. The basic studio room just seems small and no streaming on TV. But when I go back, I'll book the one bedroom. Prime location. Totally worth it! We will come back every 3 months!

Not clean. Found a roach in my room. I told the staff they offered to spray my room. Ventilation not great. Amenities minimal. They make you sign paperwork that says if you don’t clean your own room they will charge you an extra cleaning fee. Beds are very uncomfortable, I woke up with back pain every morning. Basically a motel.

I stayed here for 5 weeks to help my daughter and son in law after the birth of their baby. I only hold back the fifth star because the bed and the pillows were quite firm. I bought my own pillows and when I return I will probably buy a mattress topper if I stay a long time. The place is very clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. I had one small issue that was immediately addressed and fixed. Room has air conditioning that works great. Rooms have dishes refrigerator coffee pot etc. there is a separate kitchen you can use with an oven ( rooms only have cook tops) and there is also a big room you can reserve for just you and any guests if you want to have people over. The kitchen is right across from the giant living room/ entertainment room. I searched many VRBO and air bnb but when you add the fees in at the end the prices that seemed reasonable become exorbitant. I will definitely stay here again. It is located 2 blocks from Santana Row, and from a super giant high end luxury mall that has every store you can imagine inside. Lots of fun things to do within easy walk distance and I loved the secure gated parking. Didn’t worry about crime, felt very safe!

There are only a few quality no-weird-issues extended stay aparthotels in the bay area and this is one of them. Often fully booked so book well in advance. Gated parking ($10/night) is a big plus and the vending machine offers microwavable rice. There's no housekeeping unless you order it for an extra charge, so be prepared to do your own laundry.

Do they have any kinda of service? No, do they have anything they listed on their Expedia or Google bookings? No. Basically dirty, loud ac, bed very uncomfortable and blanket too thin, and very expensive comparing to the location and good luck with any kinda of service if any. Advertised anywhere it's free parking but charged us when we checked in. I booked this to be a hotel and it turned out to be worse than Airbnb. You bring your own towels and wash them including the bed. You clean your own room on a hotel prices. You throw your trash also outside. If your coming here for a business trip this is not for you. I can't recommend this location at all. Oh did I mention how bad their front desk is?
Yvonne W — Google review
I stayed in the studio room during my visit, and it was more spacious than I expected, offering all the amenities I needed. The hotel's location is excellent, with Santana Row just a 5-minute walk away, and there are plenty of coffee shops, bakeries, and restaurants in the vicinity. I'd like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful staff at the front desk, Ami, Faye, and Michelle. They were incredibly friendly and made my stay even more enjoyable. Their exceptional service added a personal touch to my experience.

Location is great, but I had extremely bad allergic reactions on the first night. Not sure if it’s a dust, blanket, or carpet but my whole body was burning with rashes. I changed my stay to Residence Inn and everything was great. Also next room was so loud and I could hear everything through thin wall. They really need to take care of hygiene in hotel rooms.

This was a great experience! I stayed here because there was a conference in town and all the downtown SJ hotels were taken. This was a great alternative! The room was very comfortable and the service from the host is very warm and inviting. I had a great breakfast in the backyard patio and met a few other great people during breakfast. You also get access to cookies, port wine and other snacks/beverages whenever you'd like. I highly recommend this B&B! I will certainly be back!

Our first stay here and it was lovely. Breakfast was to die for. Danielle was gracious and accommodating. We enjoyed chatting with the other guests over breakfast. The only thing I would mention is that the gal cleaning starting vacuuming while guests were still seated in dining room. We will certainly try to stay here again the next time we are in town.

Great place to stay in a very nice neighborhood in Santa Clara. The hostess was really nice and a wonderful cook. I was there for three days and each day the breakfast was unique and delicious! Madison Street Inn was lovely and the perfect choice for our weekend moving in our daughter to Santa Clara University. What could’ve been an ordinary stay at a hotel became a special weekend getaway for my husband and me. We loved the welcome chocolate chip cookies and port, and the B&B charm! The pool and hot tub were a bonus and it was beautiful being served breakfast outside on the patio. We plan to come back every time we visit our daughter at school.

My husband and I only stayed for one night but it was great! The amenities are great, service was friendly and generous. Food was amazing, best egg Benedict my husband ever said. The location was great as well, nice and quiet neighborhood. The surrounding area is quite quant. If we ever are back in the area we will certainly stay again.

First experience staying while on business trip. Great relaxing backyard with pool and hot tub. Welcoming host, tastey treats, super coffee, terrific breakfast. 3 blocks away from multiple evening dining choices. Enjoyable conversation with other lodgers. Quiet nights for solid night sleep. Looking forward to next visit.

This my new favorite location. It is quaint and quiet. Lots of charm and relaxing. Wonderful to work under the canopy of foliage. Or take a dip in the refreshing pool or hot tub. And most definitely stay for the amazing and fresh breakfast. I'll definitely return!

Wonderful place to stay. The bed is amazing and everything was beautiful including the old style of the Victorian home. Tess makes awesome cookies and Ray made an amazing breakfast. Made it feel like we were staying in our own home. Highly recommend for couples looking for a nice getaway.
