Cruz's Cafe, an American eatery, offers a unique retro atmosphere and vegan options on its menu. Although disappointed by the unavailability of vegan pancake mix, the staff made sincere efforts to resolve the issue. The vegan eggs and sausage were exceptionally tasty. One dining companion raved about the Cedar Rapids omelette, describing it as absolutely fantastic. The cafe itself is charming, with excellent food and service. The steak and eggs were prepared to a perfect medium rare with flavorful seasoning.
The promise of "Breakfast served all day" drew us in. We were pleased to discover this "new" (to us) diner/restaurant that provides a delicious meal and friendly efficient service. The simple Denver omelet I enjoyed was tender and light. An even spread of filling, well diced. Served with my choices of fresh fruit and an English muffin. All very good. The. Chicken fried steak my dining partner enjoyed was declared the best he'd had in Cedar Rapids. It's true, the steak was tender, and the cream gravy was flavorful. I had become used to anticipating gummy flavorless country gravy typically served. But this rose above the expectation. Sunny side up eggs were perfectly done. I believe it won't be long before we return to this sunny dining room that serves excellent coffee.

So I walk into Cruz’s Café and immediately it feels like Southern hospitality. The food is absolutely amazing. The staff are very nice and professional and I want to give a big shout out to Mrs Amy thank you so much for making me feel at home. Hands down the best breakfast spot I’ve had in Iowa.

If you're a 60's child you will enjoy sitting in the Cafe and remembering your youth. Food is dog gone good. Breakfasts are awesome but get there early to avoid the line! I'd post a 5 here overall if they would just add PBR to the beverage lineup! Find Cruz's just North of Boyson Rd and a block West, next door to Kingston's

Had a good breakfast at Cruz's Cafe as we were passing through town. I had the Country Shipwreck, which is their breakfast skillet. Bacon, sausage, ham, eggs, onions, peppers (no peppers for me), with sausage gravy. It was delicious!! Others had the classic breakfast with bacon/ sausage. The service was friendly, the place was clean, clean bathrooms and the restaurant is decorated well. I would return and do recommend Cruz's for breakfast.
Jason S — Google review
I've been here a few times and always have a great experience. I love the decor. The wait staff is always prompt and friendly and the food has never disappointed. Today I had a Spanish omelet that was actually quite a lot of food for the money.
Dwayne F — Google review
Great local place! I've been here a few times before, and it's been good each time. The service is the most outstanding quality; staff are lovely! The atmosphere is nice, the decor is cool, but occasionally it gets really loud-- especially if you're sitting towards the middle of the room during a busy time. It's hard to be helped! Food has also been great, with nothing coming out wrong or tasting awful. Coffee was definitely on the weaker side. The fruit could definitely be fresher and have more variety, but that's not a highlight of their menu. I'd recommend knowing what you want before going in, and trying to avoid rush hour if you have kids with sensitive ears. Lovely place overall!
Star S — Google review
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Cruz's and I have to say, this place is an absolute gem! As someone who moved to Iowa from Los Angeles two years ago, I have been searching for a breakfast spot that can rival the flavors of my beloved LA breakfasts. Cruz's did not disappoint - it easily ranks in my top 5 breakfast spots in Iowa! During my visit, I tried four different dishes and each one was seasoned to perfection. The cinnamon roll French toast was a standout for me, but the garden omelet and chicken and waffles were also delicious. While the chicken and waffles may not have been on par with Roscoes, it was still great food at a very fair price. The environment at Cruz's is fantastic - the establishment is very clean and has an eclectic vibe that I really enjoyed. It reminded me of some of the top restaurants in Des Moines, like Django and Latin Kings, in terms of quality and atmosphere. During my visit, the place was full and buzzing with happy, friendly, and loyal customers. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, adding to the great experience. Overall, I would highly recommend Cruz's to anyone looking for a top-notch breakfast spot in Iowa. I can't wait to go back and try more of their delicious dishes!

Excellent gluten free options! I had the gf waffles with strawberries and whipped cream. Yummy! My son said the biscuits and gravy were excellent along with his eggs, sausage and has browns. My husband said the ham is excellent as well! Thank you! We will be back!

Restaurant
Scott's Family Restaurant is a lively diner that offers classic American dishes and breakfast options, featuring both booth and counter seating. Visitors have enjoyed indulging in the Jack Daniels burger with a side of fries, as well as treating themselves to a slice of Toll house pie for special occasions. The restaurant has received praise for its flavorful burgers, well-caramelized onions, and delicious pies. While the breakfast buffet is popular among patrons, those who missed it found the regular menu items to be equally satisfying.
We've tried many brunch spots, but there are few that we'd be willing to come back to. Scott's is one of those places. The food isn't flashy and showy, but rather humble, home-y, and filling. The service is always very quick and polite. Finally, the prices are low enough that we don't have to feel guilty if we come here every now and then.

Surprisingly good! It is a buffet. Most meals are around 12.99, might as well do the buffet for 14.99. The hash brown casserole is chef's kiss. French toast is good. The little pancakes are fresh not frozen. The home fries are tasty and crispy. Only open 6 am to 3pm. Service was ok, they are pretty busy in a Saturday morning. Pepsi products are always an extra point! Definitely would come back again.

Jack Daniels Bourbon burger is the best burger around the corridor area. His bourbon sauce is to die for! I add cheese, pickles, and onion rings on mine. I also get extra sauce and sauce to go!

We were just thinking about breakfast when we drove by and decided to stop because the parking lot was full. Service was great, and they had excellent breakfast. I would have easily given them five stars, but the bathrooms leave something to be desired. The place looks like it is doing quite well, so perhaps they could reinvest some of that money into a a new toilet seat! :-)
Hawkeye D — Google review
I had a half chef salad. It was delicious and fresh. My husband had one of their breakfast skillets. He liked that too. He said the eggs were just perfect! Our server was friendly and smiled. She checked on us twice while we were eating.
Mary M — Google review
Went here with a buddy of mine to get the breakfast buffet but was informed they ended the buffet at 1pm. (We got there at 12:45 and they close at 3). The buffet didn't get shut down until about 1:30pm. The food we ended up ordering was really good, and you could tell our server was experienced. At the end, we received one check instead of two separate checks. We didn't think it was an issue until going up to the front to pay and have them split the bill and was informed they're unable to split the ticket since the server already printed it. Would have been nice to know that beforehand. The atmosphere is definitely an old timer diner that feels like grandma's kitchen, and the seating is very nice and unique. Will visit again sometime!

Food was very tasty, and it came out so fast as well. Had the eggs & fresh toast from the lighter section, tried the syrups and thought the raspberry was delicious. Service was outstanding, overall satisfied with this visit. Mat was great. Thank you the amazing customer service.

Lucky's on 16th in Cedar Rapids is a beloved breakfast spot offering a wide array of appetizers and main dishes. The menu features tempting options like Pancake Bites, Cinnamon Sugar Bites, Avocado Toast, Tex-Mex Skillet, Ham and Cheese Omelet, and Biscuits and Gravy Plate. This locally owned bar and grill is known for its American comfort food at reasonable prices. Visitors rave about the French toast that's described as a comforting delight.
Amazing find, we were looking for a traditional diner and boy did we find one! The people were lovely, friendly , helpful and very accommodating. I honestly felt like I was a regular, slipping In to comfortable conversation. The food had generous portions, well priced and really tasty I had a traditional eggs, hash, corned beef with bacon and toast, which was massively customisable with swap out options etc. There locals, obviously noted we were English and engaged with us, making it feel even more comfortable Honestly totally recommend this little place the decor is awesome too I am all set for my flight home. Thank you for a great breakie experience !

Very cool vibe here. I can't give a full five stars on the food since my Benedict had two different versions of the poached eggs and I don't think it was on purpose. One of them was poached hard. Otherwise it was a good experience. The cocktail menu was very creative.

First time while staying overnight in CR. Located in Czech Village area which has some great spots. Place was crowded so had to be good, right?! Seat at bar area, friendly fun staff, that are totally hustling to keep up. Solid menu. Cozy place had early NFL game on - liked that. House coffee solid.

Has to be one of my favorite dishes I’ve ever eaten. Got the Nashville Hot Eggs Benedict June Special. It was everything my taste buds were looking for and more. It was a great meal for brunch. Place was packed but the wait staff was very accommodating to seat myself and my guest. Service was solid. I came there for the food and it was worth it. Plenty of TVs as well.
Tim R — Google review
Came here on a Sunday morning and tried their Country Benedict. It’s definitely a crowded place on the weekends. Thus, there was a little bit of a wait but trust me, it was well worth it! Everything was delicious and cheap too. I’d recommend this place. Just be aware that you may have to wait a bit for a seat especially on the weekends
Minespidur — Google review
I was pleasantly surprised by Lucky's! I'm gluten-free and not only do they have a really good gf bun for their burgers, they offer gf Mac and Cheese!!! (I'll get that next time!) There must be 20 or more options for burger toppings, too. It was amazing! Needless to say, I got a burger with sundried tomatoes, blue cheese, and avocado. It was outstanding! Good sized patty, perfectly seasoned, and perfectly cooked. I will dream about this burger. I ordered a side salad as well, which was a little disappointing. It was a good size and nice and fresh, but it was iceberg lettuce. I like a little bit of a romaine or darker green for my salads. My friend got the Cobb Salad, which looked good! But, again, iceburg lettuce. It's not a fancy place, but quiet, clean, and the customer service was top notch. Our waitress was patient when we took a long time to order and very helpful when answering my questions. I would absolutely recommend this place for a casual dinner out, lunch, and their breakfasts look awesome!
K C — Google review
Great breakfast menu, fast friendly service. The place was very busy on a Sunday, but only a short wait.

Tommy's West Restaurant is a modest mall eatery offering breakfast, sandwiches, pasta, and American dinners. The establishment boasts an impressive array of food and beverages. The diligent staff consistently delivers exceptional customer service, going above and beyond to satisfy patrons. The cuisine itself is remarkable in terms of quality, appearance, texture, and taste. Notably, Mandy the waiter stands out as a remarkable individual who charms guests with her pleasant demeanor and engaging conversations.
My family LOVES Tommy's, we stop by 1-2x every month & adore the people that work there. Always so helpful! Food is so delicious and I love their bakery selection, it's ever-changing and never gets boring. Check them out if you haven't already!
Sarah O — Google review
Got a breakfast delivery order. Unfortunately the hollandaise sauce was broken so the texture and taste was off, and the poached eggs were overcooked leaving the yolks hard through. Cheese sauce on the breakfast potatoes made a good combo.
Julia P — Google review
The baked steak was yummy. It was the first thing gone on my plate. The hash browns were good. My husband said the omelet was good and the pancakes were ok. However the elephant ear was not worth it which was a huge disappointment for him as that's what he was looking the most forward too. The server did a good job.
Kristi A — Google review
Shelly my server was best, she was kind and attentive. The food was amazing, I’ve never had a ham steak as good as the one they have here at Tommy’s. I strongly recommend this place, it’s like eating at home. Too bad I can’t cook as good.

This place is always great. Service is very friendly. Food is reasonably priced and delicious. Everybody needs to try this place. Instead of a picture of the food that everyone posts u decided to post a picture of a plate from a satisfied customer.
Craig B — Google review
A nice little quiet place for a home cooked meal. My husband had liver & onions and I had chicken fried steak. There was a good variety in the menu and prices were good. The servers were great and very friendly. We enjoyed everything and will definitely be back.
Bonnie H — Google review
Everyone is wonderful, it's nice to walk in and they know you. Maybe even my order, (the same thing every Sunday). I love the family environment as most of the employees are related or generations have worked here, like, Valerie, Shelly and their kids. They are following the footsteps of those in their family. Steve is always great as he comes around greeting and chatting. I really enjoy my time when I'm here always seeing some of the same customers and building relationships with them as well. What more could you say, oh they cook my eggs prefect most times, better than I can. I have crispy edges, some light brown and maybe to greasy when I cook them. They have them over medium making sure the whites are cooked and the yolks stay soft. Love Tommy's.
Tara K — Google review
This is the kind of family restaurant everyone hopes to find but rarely does. The food is absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. What really stood out to me, though, is the atmosphere. So many restaurants these days are noisy and rushed, but here it’s calm, comfortable, and easy to actually enjoy a meal and conversation. The staff are kind, welcoming, and treat you like family the moment you walk in. It’s the perfect balance of amazing food, a relaxed environment, and genuinely great people. I can’t recommend it enough! Ask for Val, Ava, Shelly, Jordan - all you can’t go wrong with any of them 🥰🥰🥰

Feedwell Kitchen and Bakery offers a great dining experience with its open concept layout and pleasant ambiance. The spacious interior, complemented by fantastic lighting, creates a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The establishment also features a separate room for private events and well-maintained public restrooms. Guests can enjoy delicious pastries, coffee, and breakfast items in this cozy setting filled with natural light and greenery. Despite the lunchtime rush, the friendly staff provided efficient service, ensuring a delightful visit for patrons.
I felt like i was "#1" at Feedwell this morning (see the picture for the reference). I came here from a recommendation of my wife and my pastor's wife. Loved it! I was taking my pictures and had a nice conversation with one of the baristas. I found out there's private space to reserve. They sell local art (I'm going to see if I can get a woodcarving of mine there)! Very pleasant, calming atmosphere with nice people! Oh yes. The food and the coffee. I had a dark roast drip coffee and the egg and cheese breakfast biscuit. The coffee made me perk up (get it? Perk? Exercising my dad joke talents). Seriously it was really good! The egg and cheese was great too. Egg cooked just right. Over hard but not too hard. The cheese added a fun zing to it. The biscuit seemed to have some butter as it was toasted - tasted great. It was a little flaky which I liked. Fresh not old dried out and warmed over. This was fresh. I could see the herbs in the bread. I think I saw some rosemary. Anyway delightful place. Highly recommend Feedwell Kitchen & Backery!
Greg H — Google review
One of our favorites for breakfast. Great place for coffee lovers & families. They have something everyone likes. My partner loves the Egg Standard Sandwiches on a cheddar chive bun. I love their croissants & mufffins. Try to get there early especially on weekends because the bakery case sells out fast.
Riley — Google review
Bright room. Tasty food. I ordered "regular" gluten free bread for a Medianoche, but it seemed the bread was more like multigrain. Tasty sandwich, though. When busy, it's difficult to get a seat. 4/9/25 I couldn't decide between the two soups, both were gluten free, chicken wild rice or cream of asparagus. Since I couldn't decide, I ordered both, and both were delicious! No regrets.
J K — Google review
Wife loves their coffee, pastries are good too. Breakfast items are different, but tasty. Get here early, items do sell out. They have a nice small conference room type set up for meetings
Ed P — Google review
I appreciated the lovely staff and the food is even better. My eyes got so big when I walked in and saw all the pastries and baked goods. What a large selection of treats. A gem, I’m telling you. It’s open 7am, to boot. Zizi and I almost wished were Cedar Rapids residents so we could come in here often and try everything on the menu, paired with their perfect pastries.
Cathleen V — Google review
I’ve been to this place about four times now, and I think it’s safe to say I won’t be coming back. The food is good—definitely not bad—but not quite good enough to justify the price tag, especially for Cedar Rapids. What really pushes it over the edge for me is how much they charge for even simple substitutions. It starts to feel less like a customer-friendly restaurant and more like a place nickel-and-diming you at every turn. But the biggest issue, honestly, is the atmosphere—not the décor, but the people. The staff, particularly the woman at the register, came across as cold and a bit snobby. There’s a noticeable lack of warmth or hospitality, which is disappointing when you’re paying premium prices. In short: decent food, but overpriced, and the service just doesn’t make you feel welcome. That combo makes it an easy pass for me going forward.
Faruk B — Google review
Cute place with friendly staff and prompt service. The baked goods were delicious as well. I got an Almond bear claw and a cookie. The bear claw was sooo good! Honestly decent prices as well :) Great stop!

This experience was a great one. The wife and I decided to drop by for the first time and review. Details below. Restaurant Layout/Vibe Rating - 5 stars The location is pretty awesome. Once you enter the doors you are inside an open concept area. I like how spaced apart it is. The lighting is amazing! Overall we loved the feel. They even have a separate room that can be called and held for an occasion. They also have public restrooms that are nice and clean. Customer Service Rating - 5 stars This has been one of the best experiences customer service wise since Covid has been around. Soon as we entered the location the staff greeted us! Say what?? Is this CFA ;P. Honestly though, I was so happy that the employees seemed happy and were paying attention to guests even though it was busy. I wanted to ask the employees more questions for this review, so I went ahead and got back in line. I only had 1 guest in front of me, who was quite chatty. One of the team members noticed I was waiting (only for maybe a minute) and they went out of their way to open another register just to help me quickly, talk about impressive! I hope the owner or manager is able to read this, because I can’t say enough how awesome your staff and service was. Great job to the Feedwell team! Food Rating - 5 stars We tried a few different items. A vegan muffin that was wonderful. A sugar cookie (it was soft, chewy and out of this world)! Then we both ordered the egg/cheese biscuit. One with ham, the other with bacon. They came out so fresh, it couldn’t have been any fresher! For these biscuits I wasn’t aware when ordering that I could use a different bread type. For me, the way they come is a little heavy. However, after speaking with the team, they said we had multiple choices and next time I am definitely going to try the baguette. Very pleased with all food options! We came back and tried this sandwich on baguette and croissant. Croissant was a winner for our family hands down! Turkish Coffee - 4 star Very delicious, a little hotter would make it perfect! Love it :)! Overall we loved our experience and I would give it 5 stars all day if it stays like this. Great job all!

Granite City Food & Brewery is a casual chain eatery that serves American comfort food and offers a variety of craft beers brewed on-site. Known for its extensive menu and delicious food, it is a popular choice for Sunday brunch and other meals. The restaurant can get crowded, so making reservations is recommended, as there may be a 20-minute wait to get a table. Granite City also has daily food specials, $5 select appetizers, and $8 flatbreads.
We ate here on a Saturday. They were very busy, but the server kept up. She brought our drink refills before we had to ask. Service was 5 stars. Food was good. Appetizers are fantastic. Get the wings. Pot roast was good, but steak looked better.

Good food, good service and clean. We were there for the Sunday brunch and over all a good experience. The buffet was decent sized with omelet station, French toast station, prime rib and desserts. The food itself was nice, the Cajun pasta definitely stole the show. I would like to see a bigger selection. The price at $24.99 is a good deal for what they have though. We would come back.

Granite City is always a great choice- their beer is delicious and the food is very well priced. My favorite is their suggested beer blends. I highly recommend using the GC app to earn rewards- At this location the service was especially cordial and accommodating to my very request. Highly recommend ..

Boyfriend and I wanted a new place to try and I’d always wanted to go here! The chicken toscana was AMAZING!! I hardly try anything new, so I was so thrilled at how good it was! The green beans were great, chicken was perfectly crusted! Boyfriend got the millionaire bacon burger with the house-made chips and he was so happy with that as well, will definitely be back!

I think I have only given 5 stars once before. But this place deserves it! I have not had a meal that was less than great! The service is spot on, very professional, courteous, and friendly. I recommend seeing for yourself, you won't be disappointed! The craft beer is second to none as well!

You can bet when you find a place that has all of the elements of a great place. Great Service matched with great food with great prices. You know this place that will be on your list. We arrived at happy hour on a Thursday. We ate two appetizers and a side with a bowl of Chicken Tortilla Soup. It was not just amazing it was one of the most flavorful experiences of the year. Chris our waiter was the best, on point with his service. The kitchen was great because you saw them elevate simple food to it's best. And since we used the QR code at the table we got another $3.00 knocked off. The portion sizes were enough to send us home with something. Don't pass up this restaurant.

Food tasted great except the steak was over cooked for what I ordered. Garlic mash potatoes were the bomb. Bloody Maria cocktail was really good but watch the green pepper, it's a jalapeño. I would recommend it however and I am a repeat customer.

Cedar Rapids — Valentine’s weekend, nice setting, good service, great presentation, tasty. Upscale restaurant, smaller setting(but have additional options for seating). I saw a couple tables that got sandwiches they looked great. It a nice option for date night

This was a great stop on a 1,000 mile road trip. Easy to get to off the interstate and only option we could find find that wasn’t either fast food or fried bar food, but with fresh, classic options. Clean, a bit upscale on atmosphere but we felt fine there being casually dressed. Service was great and food delicious! If we’re ever in the area again, we’ll be back!

Two of us had to send our fillet back we ordered medium rare and they were very well done. They did take care of it. The mashed potatoes were cold. Vegetables were good. The steak texture was off, even though it was done properly the second time. The desserts Were not what was expected. For the price, it definitely was not worth it.

Our server Kale was excellent. Very thorough and attentive. We each tried something different. I had the Cobb salad with Chicken. It had unique corn bread crouton, cranberries, diced sweet potatoes, yummy fresh crumbles bacon bits. The sweet potato were the only part of my meal I was not a fan of. We all tried the salmon Cajun soup. It was good the salmon melted in your mouth. The Class Act burger my son said was easily the best burger he has had. My son's girlfriend had the Iowa omelet and she said it was yummy. My husband had the corn beef hash he said it was a great from scratch hash.

Having a great restaurant at a hotel is such a luxury! We enjoyed a delicious dinner and breakfast - both were fabulous. The staff was professional and attentive! The manager even taught my son how to make a rose out of his napkin. :) Highly recommend.

I came in there this past Friday for lunch I got the beef prosciutto or whatever and that thing was nasty over salted in my opinion! Sweet potatoes doesn’t mix will with the skirt stake and slimy sauce they used. But I will say the chicken sandwich was juicy but way too small to be considered a full meal. The corn soup was underwhelming but the serve was really nice and did a great job serving me in a timely manner. I paid $36 as a single male. For me brining a family here and spending over $100 is just not worth it for lunch.

This restaurant is located in The Hotel at Kirkwood Center, and is a Culinary Arts Program. Elegant decor. Great service and food at a slightly higher price point than a chain, but the students are learning (and we get to eat the rewards of their education). The sticky pork belly was perfectly balanced between sweet, sour, and savory. The special of the day (ribeye) was perfectly cooked, the pork chop, duck, and steak fries were excellent. Will come back when back in town!

Bang bang wings - ranch to dip Hope Burger D with fries Corn elote Chocolate cake slice The wings could have been more crispy by over all I would put them at a solid 8/10 The corn elote was absolutely terrible, corn tasted undercooked and they didn’t dress it, they gave me the stuff in the side and it wasn’t nearly enough. - 2/10 Burger was for my wife, she said it was good, liked the bacon relish with the caramelized onion. The fries which i did try were PHENOMENAL, one of the best I’ve had yet. 8/10 Chocolate cake slice - it was so decadent that the plastic fork couldn’t get through it without wanting to bend and break. It was VERY good. 8.5/10

Unexpected roof top bar in this hotel. I came in for dinner after my flight and was able to find a nice spot of my choosing by the window for the views. Picked out this pork belly dish just as a little snack before bed. It was pretty decent bar food, flavorful, albeit a little on the salty end. It might’ve been better had I ordered something else to pair it with. Staff were friendly and it was an easy quick meal. I saw there were quite a few groups of business folks up here late at night talking shop as well. Seemed like a good spot to knock a few back.

Cool bar. Great views of the city. Real big city feel for a Milltown on an interstate spur. Decent selection of spirits. Average beer and wine selections. Food is above average, only because it is elevated bar food quality is average. It was expensive but worth a stop at night for the views and atmosphere. Convention center and hotel underneath so, many business travelers and convention types. I could recommend this for someone staying at the hotel or anyone off of the street.

We were so happy we found this place on our stop in Cedar Rapids. We were seated right away and then the place filled up! Service was excellent, food was delicious and hot. Our granddaughter got the half pancake roll and it was huge! Highly recommend the Breakfast House.

Soo very very very good!! Edit to add: First, I wrote this review after being awake for 24hrs. So, now that I've had a nap.. let's adjust.. How did they make the perfect cup of cocoa in May.. no clue. It was creamy and just the right amount of hot.. 1. The barnyard skillet.. Huh?!? This skillet had everything but the kitchen sink in it.. so much food.. Thank goodness I like leftovers. 2. The Build your own skillet: I choose the hashbrown base with ham (diced) and sausage gravy.. mmmmm sooo yummy!! Beyond Amazing!! And let's be honest in today's day and age with the ever devolving customer service standards. Every business should be so lucky to have an Amanda.. lack of sleep and all I would come back just for Amanda!

Been here twice now. It's not a big place, in a little strip mall. Found a table pretty quick both times. I love the egg in a basket. They made it perfect both times! The pancakes are HUGE and have a good flavor. Waffles are decent. My biggest gripe - the service times are very long! It quite literally took 40-45 minutes from sitting down to getting food in front of you. So don't go here if you're in a hurry. They need at least another waitress and probably one more person in the kitchen, minimum. Other than that, great little hole in the wall with affordable prices.

Best breakfast I have had in a long time! The menu had such a wide selection, everyone was very happy with their meal. Easy to customize whatever you want. It’s not a large restaurant, a party of 6 is really the largest they can accommodate.

First time visitor. Was very very good, however it was very very busy. Took awhile to get food, BUT that was to be expected for how busy it was and at no way do I hold it against the restaurant. Hot food, hot coffee that never went empty, excellent service. Can't wait to come back. thanks

My husband and I ate here for the first time after I was looking for a new local breakfast spot we hadn’t tried before. I checked out the website and really enjoyed the family story and history behind the place. We were greeted and seated immediately. The menu has classic options but also customizable options! Our service was great, the food came out quickly and it was DELICIOUS. My husband was very impressed with the stuffed French toast and I was surprised at how much bacon came with my dish! We will absolutely be back!!

Great food and great customers. Always busy so there is a wait. Don't let the waitress discourage you by telling you the wait time is long, crazy that she does it every time we come in and some people do leave. Plus she told the Amazon driver he could not use the restroom. Just overlook the poorly trained waitress because the food is worth the wait!

Matt and his sister have an amazing place here. Chorizo breakfast burrito was incredible along side my Americano. I cannot rave about how nice the people are here. We came to Brewhemia for a late breakfast and this place is clearly beloved in this area! It was incredibly busy, and despite this, we had excellent service and delicious food. The Southwestern Egg Sandwich and the Huevos Avocado Biscuit were made perfectly. My chai latte was just what I had hoped for -- spicy, sweet, and creamy. The decor includes giant historic world maps that add to the charm.

I can’t believe someone would give less than 5 stars for this cute full service coffee shop. To start, the outside has such a cool vibe and is in a great location. They have a few outdoor tables for outdoor seating which is great for bringing your dog. Their quiche menu is solid and food is really good for a coffee shop. The inside is cute and welcoming and the staff was all very nice!!! We got an iced white mocha and bohemian and they were perfect.

This is easily the best coffee/cafe here in Iowa. The food is always fresh and amazing. The lattes are consistently great. No burned shots. They make their vanilla and caramel for the lattes IN HOUSE. Don't pass up the vanilla latte! It's run by the sweetest family who are always positive as are their baristas. They'll take the time to explain anything about the menu, you never feel rushed. Please visit this shop and see for yourself. I'm picky and they have always accommodated. They have intolerance options too.

Fantastic little caffeine hot spot with artistic industrial flair, nice two hour parking, plenty of space and well spaced outlets, I noticed music at a good level. Staff was great and patient as I looked over the menu then found the specials. Hummingbird it was! They didn't give a personal cup discount oddly but walked away with a nearly fully tumbler of almond milk and espresso tuned with sweet well balanced flavors. Wifi was quick and I was comfortable for my hour before heading back to Indiana, always a fun treat to find another top notch coffee dip in the wild!

This is a cute coffee shop with a nice atmosphere. I was able to study here for a couple hours. The el ranchero breakfast sandwich was a delicious surprise. Their scones looked amazing and a lot of flavors to choose from, I regret not getting one. I had a latte with their homemade maple nut flavor. The latte wasn’t my favorite but everything else was great. Latte art was amazing :) I’d be back to try another coffee drink and a scone!

What a neat spot in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I can see why the locals love this spot. Half Star for food presentation but a thumbs up on good taste. We would recommend anyone to come! Please stop by on your travels. Locals have a little diamond in their city.

I don't know why it took so long to rate this local coffee shop but it's definitely a vibe. The place is cozy and minimal. It's a great place to kick back and do some work. Cappy hour is such a nice perk and a deal. The staff is always friendly, shout out to Ann for being so accommodating of special requests. The coffee is delicious, I've gotten some beans that rival some of the stuff I buy from specialty roasters like Proud Mary or Little Wolf. I appreciate the incorporation of local art and their support of it.

After today's experience I will never come back. I have been a supporter of this coffee shop for quite some time. I enjoy the updates on social media and the people. Today was quite different. I didn't appreciate how I was treated. Starting with my order I have been getting matcha lattes here with almond milk for quite some time. Yes I'm aware as with every place there is an upcharge for that. Here the way they make them you can barely taste any matcha so I would make it a point to ask for a little extra. I always asked if it was an extra charge and was always told no even by people who have worked there a long time. I was told today asking for extra was a 2 dollar upcharge. I was told it has been like that since June. I was told the upcharge was due to people asking for extra over time. I kindly explained to them that people are asking for extra because they can't taste it. I provided feedback in a calm manner. I was not rude. It was just constructive feedback which businesses should be receptive to. I was told to have a nice day which sounded a bit condescending considering the circumstances. Not an I'm sorry they haven't been charging you or we will take your feedback in to consideration and hope you come back. None of that. There is a coffee shop in Iowa City that carries ceremonial grade matcha which I assume is expensive and even with almond milk, I'm not paying well over 9 dollars for it. You can also taste it very well so there is no need to ask for extra. Since customers have mentioned to you that they ask for extra because they can't taste it, my hope is that feedback is listened to in an open manner rather than a customer feeling a bit dismissed today. My hope is whoever left the Face Savoring emoji wasn't an employee as that is pretty sarcastic.
G A — Google review
Found this while looking for coffee shops during my drive. Convenient spot with a parking lot on the side. Benches out front if you want to enjoy your coffee out there. Inside was beautiful with a chill vibe. Love the plants and the art for sale. The seasonal offerings were really unique and the baristas were super friendly! Can't wait to go back and try something else!

Restaurant
Mikhael's Restaurant is a cozy, unpretentious diner serving classic American breakfast and lunch dishes. Located on 6th Street Southwest, this family-owned establishment has been delighting customers with its delicious coffee since 1983. The menu offers a wide variety of options including omelets, pancakes, burgers, salads, and the highly recommended cinnamon French toast. Despite its busy atmosphere, the service is quick and attentive while the food remains excellent and reasonably priced.
I expected good food, I did not expect to be entertained. I went for an early breakfast to Mikhael's Restaurant. The building is unpretentious, to say the very least, a concrete block and brick affair that looks like it may have been there forever. It is one of those locations that is easy to drive past. It is on a busy street and sits in a neighborhood location, not surrounded by other retail or restaurant businesses. But it is definitely worth finding! I'll get to the food later. Right now, I want to write of the entirely authentic interior and the one of a kind dynamo of a waitress, Amber. The interior could easily serve as a set for a television show or movie about a diner. It has such an iconic style. Not the kitschy chrome and red leatherette, black and white subway tiled styling that one so often sees in "retro" diners, but a spare, bare bones, scrubbed for decades look that instantly strikes one as authentic and genuine. When I walked in, shortly after they opened at 6:00, I noticed that all of the patrons were older men, a crew of gruff, good natured codgers that could have come straight out of central casting. And then, a millisecond later, I noticed Amber, the blond, cheery, chatty, ultra high energy waitress hustling about the room, tossing a quick word or laughing at a joking comment from one of the regulars. She is a treasure. I have met a lot of diner waitstaff over the years, and it would be hard to count their number. But out of the thousands, Amber stands out like a shining beacon. Her effervescent personality, the obviously caring relationship she has with the regulars, the sparkling, positive energy she brings to the proceedings, all unmatched in my experience. It was a joy to watch her moving briskly from table to table, inquiring about one gentleman's health, asking another of their plans, reminding yet another about an upcoming appt. As I said earlier, I could have been watching a rehearsal for a play entitled "Waitress." I was so enchanted by the performance in front of me I almost forgot about the food. I suppose I should mention the food. It was in keeping with the setting, classic American diner. Omelets, shipwrecks, hash, 'cakes, French toast, steak and eggs... the only departure I noticed was the offering of Greek style eggs and a gyro omelet. I chose a shipwreck (as I so often do), consisting of American fries, sausage, bell pepper, jalapeños, and American cheese. I love shipwrecks, and I loved this one. The potatoes were well crisped, which I consider essential to good American fries. The veg and sausage were well distributed and chopped to what I would call a medium fine consistency, and the American cheese squares were blanketing all with their melty goodness. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the hot sauce, not just "the" hot sauce but "their" hot sauce. Quite often, one will find a house hot sauce that is simply privately labeled Tabasco. That is definitely not the case here. This sauce had a lot of body, with a rich, darkly flavored heat including lots of big pepper flakes. Absolutely yummy, in fact, so good that I asked the ever-present Amber if the sold bottles they do, and I bought one without hesitation. I absolutely adored my visit to this completely genuine, beloved neighborhood eatery, and I would go back even if they stopped serving food.

I had been craving their hot beef and was finally on that side of town. Walked in and the waitress immediately said "hot beef" and I said yes and then she wanted to know what I needed to drink. The hot. Beef was delicious and as usual I needed a box for leftovers.

I had read about Mikhael's in the CR Foodies group on FB. We were on the SW side of town and decided to try them. We were there mid-morning and there was still a steady flow of regulars. Service was very good and the food was amazing. Three of us had their cinnamon french toast with eggs and bacon and one had the biscuits and gravy. The bread they use for the cinnamon French toast is from a specialty bakery in Missouri and it was the best French toast I have ever eaten. I didn't get any photos but you definitely won't leave hungry. Everyone enjoyed their breakfast and we will definitely be back.

Loved this place! Breakfast food was all great, loved the pickled onions that came with the avocado toast and the pancakes were great--they were warm and had just a bit of crispiness on the top, so you know they were made fresh. I got a cappuccino and it was delicious plus had cute latte art. The vibes were really good and the baristas were friendly. Loved the decor, and there is one bathroom that is absolutely hilarious. Quaint corner coffee shop with small tables & a lot of natural light from the large picture windows. Historic photos hanging from the walls make this stop feel like a nostalgic stop back in time with all the modern coffee classics. Grab a coffee cake, blueberry muffin, or breakfast burrito they have something for every appetite. This sausage burrito was amazing with every bite even the plate was dressed for success. A great spot for a coffee date, meet a friend or that new special someone for lunch. A couple tables are outside when the weather is nice or grab something to eat while shopping local. The staff is always friendly and inviting.

Great atmosphere to enjoy some breakfast brunch or lunch. Also if you are wanting a quick pastry and to go drink for breakfast this seems like a great option. My iced latte was decent and the avocado toast was alright. The avocado toast was plain and simple which I prefer some more seasoning like at home we add garlic or tajin seasoning on our sourdough bread with avocados. I would go again and I would go for something different for drinks and food. My friend’s pancakes and eggs looked yummy. The service was good!

Coffee, food, & friends😁 Cafe Saint Pio has it going on! Yesterday Louise and I stopped by for breakfast and had a lovely time at this bustling neighborhood spot. The coffee shop is in a restored corner location in the Czech Village, and oozes retro charm. From the corner entrance to the high ceilings to the antique service counter, every detail speaks of nostalgia and a love of the neighborhood gathering place. Our breakfast was excellent! The burrito was delicious, exactly what one is looking for! I won't lie, it was gone in moments😋 The blueberry muffin was well above average, in fact it was so good that Louise went straight back to the counter to order another to take home! Quiche can be a gamble, I love to make it and eat it, but quite often it is dry or too dense when ordering out. This quiche was perfect! Super flavorful, with all of the various types and preparations of veggies being cooked just so, and the egg body was evidently made by a black belt master of the brunch arts. I would highly recommend the quiche to everyone, and if one likes quiche it is a must!! Louise asked that I make special mention of the coffee, she is a coffee aficionado and has exceptionally high standards for our favorite morning brew. Their coffee is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ excellence on the Louise scale, and that is high praise indeed. The last part of our experience I'll write of is the most important to me, the people. This place is bursting with a positive, high-energy vibe that starts my day off right. Bordering on being almost too loud at times, the friendly chatter nonetheless was quite welcome. I ran into one of my favorite peeps from Goldfinch Cyclery, Lillian, who not only brightened my day, but reminded me of just how much I love my tribe❤️ And speaking of beloved tribe members, I just missed two of my faves, Kat Richter, Realtor, Keller Williams Legacy Group and Alicia Bogard, Licensed Massage Therapist 🥰 This is rapidly becoming one of my fave spots, hope to see you there soon!

Favorite coffee shop in Czech Town. It’s in a beautiful historic building with great history. Wonderful staff & excellent coffee! A very nice food menu too with both delicious pastries & hot breakfast entrees. It’s very quaint inside & can get a little noisy if full, but still a great place to gather & take it all in while enjoying a cup of the best coffee in the area. Pictured is a toasted marshmallow mocha latte.

This is the neighborhood where my wife grew up, so I’m very glad to visit and find a nice place to sip a coffee and eat some food with the family. The staff was very nice and everything came out quickly even though they were fully seated. The flavors of that particular espresso are not my favorite profile, but it was enjoyable. This is a wonderful addition to Czech Village.

This cafe is an absolute gem! From the moment you step inside, you're transported to the Wild West, with an incredible atmosphere that perfectly captures that old western charm – right down to the pictures on the walls. It even smells amazing in there! While I've only had their coffee, specifically their iced lattes, I've been a few times now, always trying a different flavor, and I can honestly say none of them have let me down. Each one is perfectly crafted and delicious. Beyond the great drinks and amazing vibe, the people working there are incredibly nice, making every visit a pleasure. My only complaint? As someone horribly addicted to caffeine, I just wish they offered larger coffee sizes! If you're looking for a unique cafe experience with a ton of character and fantastic coffee, this is your spot!

They make their own sausage! I lived in the south for 4 years and these biscuits are better than anything South Carolina, Alabama, and Georgia have to offer. The sausage, egg biscuit sandwich is just perfect. It’s exactly what you want with their coffee. Plus the neighborhood is great, nestled close vintage shops and the river. I highly recommend this coffee shop.

A cozy cafe tucked away just off highway 100. I decided in the ultimate iced coffee, which was described as being like a Vietnamese coffee. I really enjoyed it. The prices were reasonable and the barista was friendly. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing. This seems like a nice place to meet up with friends or get some work done.

Great establishment, and by far the best in the area. The wife and I didn't know what to expect when walking in. Greeted with warm good mornings from staff, very helpful explaining the specials, and any questions we had as *first timers*. Extensive drink and food options with quality outcomes on both. We ordered the California Club, and the Reuben for sandwiches. And the drink special was a Coconut creme pie latte. Everything was fabulous 👌 👏 👍. Plated well, served fresh/hot. The noise was a bit much for anyone wanting to work remote, or host a meeting on the main floor. Mr Beans offers indoor seating, isolated seating, a meeting room, and a very cute outdoor patio for seating ( with umbrellas )They were very busy at 9am on a Thursday. Local artists can display and sell their craft here. They also offer a bring your own cup/mug and for 2$ they offer a free refill coffee bar with 4 flavors plus a special of the day/week which is Chocolate Raspberry ( today's 4 flavors were Fair Trade, Sumatra med/dark single origin, Columbia, and Hazelnut Creme ) All their beans are roasted in Iowa ( Des Moines area **Friedrichs is a Des Moines based artisan roaster thay ships nationwide** ) They do offer a conference room for larger gatherings, events or meetings at 25$/hrs or 100$ for the day. Highly recommend taking time out of your day to enjoy Mr Beans 🫘. We will be back for sure. The parking lot is large, accommodating and always full you'd think it was a full fledged restaurant. *ALSO* the restrooms are VERY CLEAN and well decorated and fun. This business cares about its employees, patrons, and it's image to the public. Who doesn't love Mr Bean!?!? 10 out of 10 experience.

Just traveling and we always like to try someplace new (and that we can’t get at home). This place was great. The sandwiches were amazing and it’s just a neat little place!

Great coffee and very reasonable prices. Had a quad espresso and a sausage egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on an English muffin for under 7 dollars. Can’t beat that. Plus their lunch sandwiches are great too, yet in a town with limited breakfast sandwich options that aren’t fast food, this is a winner.

Wife has been here many times but today was my first. I can tell why she loves it so much. Had a breakfast panini with house made bread and a mango smoothie while lounging on a comfy chair in a sunroom. It was like I was in a nice cottage on vacation from my busy day. Miss it already.

I really enjoy dining at 16th Avenue Grill, where I frequently visit with my father. The staff always remembers us, creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant offers tasty food with reasonable portions and a good variety to choose from. Usually, there is no or minimal waiting time, as they efficiently serve hot and fast meals. I plan on being a loyal customer for years to come due to the wonderful staff who make dining here enjoyable.
Food was good. Service was great. It's differently a ma and pa dinner. I had the Mac and cheese Buger last time good burger for the price ($14.85 wich included the buger and fries and a drink with it). Also had the biscuits and gravy wich is good and exactly what it is on e the mean. Also good. Well eat her aging.

First time here. Not bad. Nice, calm and friendly. The food was kinda alright for breakfast. My hashbrowns were cold and dry like they had been sitting there for some time. They gave me water with brownish looking lemon wedges. The waitress was very attentive when I pointed out the ugly looking lemons in my water. Other than that, I think 16th Avenue Grill is.....Ok. Just make sure u guys are serving your food HOT or at least warm. I'll be back for a second try. Please impress me.

Nestled in Cedar Rapids, Cross Roads Bistro is a delightful culinary haven that caters to every palate. This charming spot offers an extensive menu featuring Thai, Chinese, American classics, and even tacos and burritos! It's the perfect destination for families or groups with diverse tastes—everyone can find something they love here. Diners rave about the Pad Thai and garlic chicken, while others enjoy the rich flavors of their curries reminiscent of Filipino cuisine.
Food was absolutely amazing, full of rich flavor and authentic. Highly recommend the garlic chicken! Our server was very friendly & provided great service.

Tried three curries today and each brought something different. Reminds me of Philippines cuisine which is not surprising. The Peanut Beef Curry was rich, creamy, and packed with bold, nutty flavor, while the Salmon Curry was light, fresh, and perfectly spiced. But I love the Massaman Curry the most — warm, slightly sweet, and pure comfort in a bowl. 💕 Three of us are sharing everything and we love it 😊

Cross Roads Bistro is a hidden gem! They serve everything! Thai, Chinese, American favorites, even tacos and burritos! The menu has something for everyone, and when I couldn’t decide, the chef created a custom dish just for me. That’s how much they care! The owners are so kind, humble, and treats every customer like family. The food is packed with flavor and always made fresh. If you haven’t been here yet, you’re missing out!

I still can't believe how many options this restaurant has! I went with the Peanut Curry and it was delicious. I could eat that sauce every day. I also took home some Orange Chicken and Crab Rangoons (not pictured) and both were fantastic. Would love to try their sushi next!

Cross Roads is a bit of a hidden gem. I believe they would be contending with wait times if they were located elsewhere, not that I'm complaining. My experience is with breakfast which is some of the best breakfast fare in town. They offer an eclectic menu for lunch and dinner with standard fare plus a wide variety if Asian cuisine. The service is amazing and personable.

Can't believe I haven't found this place yet! The food was delicious. I branched out and tried new food, and it was worth it! I got the Triple Delight with white rice, and a small bowl of coconut chicken soup, and a small orange juice. My husband got a large orange juice and a taco salad. Will definitely be back!

Discovered place from IG social media. Ordered a variety from breakfast and Asian cuisine. Great customer service and staff was welcoming. Food was great! The fried rice and pad Thai was the bomb! French toast was amazing compared to some places I ate in Iowa city.

This place is amazing & has a variety of delicious food. If you have a picky family or group of friends it’s perfect because you can get Chinese, a burger, breakfast or sushi so if everyone doesn’t leave happy then you’re impossible! I usually get the Pad Thai or garlic chicken which is amazing. The burgers are fantastic, hot n sour soup is great and my wife loves the spring rolls. Great service, meal and price! It is our new go to restaurant! Our friend took us there for our first time on Friday and it was amazing! Thinking if they offer gift cards or certificates this will be our next year’s Christmas presents for our friends and family!

The breakfast was really good. I have eaten here a few times and it’s always good no matter the time of day. I don’t drink, but our friends always like the drink options available. Sometimes it feels like they are a little short staffed, they work very hard to cover all of the tables and turn them over. I will keep coming back regardless.

First time for brunch at CTS. The food was amazing; best Crab cake Eggs Benny I've had in a long time. The tater tots were perfectly cooked and the ranch was delicious! We had plenty of food leftover to take home. The only downside was the service time due to a very large group of diners that arrived before us. The group was incredibly loud which made any discussion at our own table very difficult to hear. We would go back!
Lauren G — Google review
This place is all over Sunday Funday like a fat kid on cake. Huge selection of beer on draft, several variations of bloody Mary’s, mimosas and coffee drinks. The food is fantastic! my wife had the chicken and waffles, I had the chicken and biscuits. Huge portions, we should have split… Staff is incredibly friendly and provides fast quality service.
Ryan M — Google review
This place was so unexpected! I randomly found Czech Town Station through a Google search and decided to check them out. Their flights intrigued me. The atmosphere and service were amazing. Our waitress was making all the drinks and had a large section and still was timely and friendly. We got the blended mimosa flight and I liked most of them. Some were definitely water down, but still highly suggest. The mango, strawberry lemonade and prickly pear are all top notch options. They have a whole menu with just flights so makes for a fun and exciting experience! Next time I want to try their White Russian flights, but they have a Bloody Mary flight, Benedict and other types of flights as well. The food is incredible and filling! The chicken and waffles was definitely the BEST thing I had today. Our gravy was good, but not as good as the chicken and waffles. Overall, great experience and will be happy to go back.

At first glance I was skeptical if this place could live up to its menu. It did not disappoint to say the least and I will be back. I've been there twice and had breakfast skillets both times. Once Charizo and once chicken fried steak. Both were great. My workmate had a flight of eggs Benedict and said they were perfect.

My daughter took me here for breakfast and it was a good experience. You have to judge for yourself but it's a nice place if you like a lot of TVs going and music wasn't my favorite genre. My opinion only judge for yourself it's a nice place but not for me.

The pancakes were really good. The cinnamon roll was decent, but not the best; it could have used a bit more cinnamon. Our server, Danika, was amazing. She was very helpful and patient and answered our many questions. My sister asked for iced coffee with milk rather than cream;, often restaurants/servers say they can't do that. Danika had no problem with it and brought my sister a cup of milk. Danika and the rest of the staff seemed like they enjoyed being there, and it made the experience very nice.

If you're in Cedar Rapids, Breakfast Barn and Lunch House is a delightful spot to start your day. This charming eatery offers a cozy atmosphere where you can enjoy classic breakfast dishes like the Early Riser, perfect for those with lighter appetites. Guests rave about their Cinnamon Roll French Toast paired with fresh-squeezed orange juice—an absolute must-try! The menu also features hearty options like broasted chicken and homemade-style cheeseburgers that keep patrons coming back for more.
Great! I had the Cinnamon Roll French Toast and orange juice. The orange juice is the best you'll find. Fresh squeezed! The Cinnamon Roll French Toast was one the best that I recall having. I'd definitely order it again, in fact I'm back again right now with the same order. My wife had the Steak Barn omelette before and ordered it again as well. Tried the hot chocolate today and it was good. My sister had eggs/bacon/pancake last time. The eggs/bacon were perfect. The pancake was okay but not the best we've had. This time she tried the biscuits and gravy and reports them as ok, but not special. The food was a little slow to arrive (leisurely) but I'll wait for great food. We are talking about making this a weekly stop.

I guess we were expecting exceptional breakfast food given the name. It was good but nothing great. Service was good too, nothing over the top or horrible either. You sit by windows and they were filthy but the rest of the restaraunt was fine! The sausage had a weird taste, bacon was so thin for the price and hashbrowns aren't crispy. Overall nothing worth writing home about. Hopefully just an off day?

My husband and I are on a quest to find the best breakfast spots in Cedar Rapids, and while we thought we found our number one place last week, Breakfast Barn completely proved us wrong! The hour-long drive from our home was absolutely worth it. The food here is incredible. My husband ordered the shipwreck, and the portions were not only generous but also incredibly delicious. However, the real showstopper was the apple pancakes. Without a doubt, they are the best pancakes I have ever had. Beyond the amazing food, the atmosphere was so welcoming, and our server, Vicki, made the experience truly special. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed and more. We will definitely be back!

I ordered a breakfast veggie omelette. It was great. Husband order biscuits and gravy. He also enjoyed his. Waitress was wonderful and attentive. The atmosphere decor was warm and homey. The music was a little distorted- I think the speaks are too small for the volume. It was the only distraction from a wonderful late breakfast. I was surprised that this place was not packed given the quality of food. Comeback because on Monday they have BOGO 1/2 off specials. I am going to try the chicken. Can’t wait
Grace G — Google review
We are staying down the road and stopped in for breakfast. As an older couple we don't have a big appetite so the Early Riser was perfect. This is now our breakfast place every morning. The breakfast was so good we came back for dinner. I had broasted chicken that was great, crispy outside and juicy inside. My husband said his cheeseburger was excellent, just like one you'd fix at home. Prices are reasonable. The employees are all pleasant and friendly. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Oscars is a great family restaurant! Cinnamon rolls are huge and soft. Food is always good and service is always very good. 10x better than Perkins and more affordable. The blue berry pancakes are amazing with fresh sweet blueberries!

I used to like coming here, but the vibes have definitely changed. The food is so unbelievably flavorless and the prices have gone up significantly. The food and drink menu is really bland and uninspired. They also charge if you ask for an extra plate, that’s ridiculous — it takes no effort to bring one out. Overall tailored to their older customers who seem to make up most of their regulars and keep them running. The only reason I’m giving three stars is because the staff is still friendly.

The only places around that has kept its constancy around town. Same food same people same decorations = never disappointed. They recently raised their prices by a significant amount. So instead of going twice a week I now go twice a month. *Update the food is still amazing but now the portion of onion rings is cut in half with ever increasing cost.

Straightforward breakfast spot. Nothing to write home about. The mug I had for coffee was chipped pretty bad around the lip and seemed like remnants of an old lipstick stain stuck on it.
Trevor H — Google review
A classic diner with excellent food and friendly service. It can be very crowded at times due to the amazing food so wait times can get a little long but most of the time there's no wait. I've waited an average of 10 minutes for a table at one of the busiest times (Sunday brunch) so it's still very fast even when busy. Highly recommend.
Jessica P — Google review
It's a straightforward old school restaurant, nothing fancy, menu is extensive and lots of it looks intriguing. The food comes out quickly and hot. We had the crepes with fresh strawberries and a enough whipped cream to make a kid giggle. An omelet called "the kitchen sink" (had everything in it) with a side of hashbrowns. Server asked if I wanted cheese and onions on the hashbrowns, it's a $1.99 extra, but so worth it. Omelet was very good and stayed warm all the way through. Manager came by twice to check on us, very nice lady. Over-all, we'll have breakfast here again. Prices were good also.

Neither awful nor fantastic, just meh. If you like breakfast buffets, this would be a really good option. Stay away from the eggs, though; they have an odd grainy texture. I suspect they're powdered eggs.

What a delightful spot. The waitresses were very nice and friendly. The smoked sausage sandwich I had was awesome! Kielbasa. Had a Witchslap to wash it down. Great beer on tap. Inside & outside seating available. Friend had the Philly.

We went there at a not busy time so it was good. It’s on the weekends or lunch hour. The place can get crowded and noisy. Food was good.
Amal M — Google review
The food here is consistently delicious. We recently had the fish platter they've had on special and it was FANTASTIC. I would love to see it become a regular menu item. The atmosphere is super cozy. The only thing that really needs improvement on is the service. We've come here quite a few times and while the servers are all very nice and pleasant, they often seem more involved in socializing at the bar than checking on their tables to make sure they aren't needing anything...
B — Google review
The staff is great and super friendly. The food really is pretty good, but everything is smothered in Sriracha Mayo. Had to scrape it off our food to taste our food. Once we did that, it was pretty good. Pretty sure the Brussel sprouts are deep fried and and not pan fried just in case you are looking for that healthy option. Blackened salmon had perfect seasoning to it and the tuna cakes were quite tasty.
Stephen K — Google review
Terrible service. This place used to be great. The staff answering the phone today at 10:26 this morning (apparently spoke to three different women-all incompetent) were rude and obviously overwhelmed. If you cannot handle phone calls with correct information and get irritated because you are busy, simply don’t answer the phone. Quite simple concept really.

The place was busy when we got to Morning Story but we got a table. Although it took a while to get our food, I enjoyed my Morning Story Combo. The waffle was pretty soft and delicious. I was glad they had plenty of syrup available. The sausage patties were tender and had just the right amount of salt. The scrambled eggs were done well, tasted good with ketchup. Busy atmosphere aside, I thought this was a great place for breakfast. Good food and good service. I’ll be sure to make another trip here.

Our son choose here for his 16th birthday. Having never been here we didn’t know what to expect. Service started out great, unfortunately it feel shortly there after. They fit five of us in a small both with one on the end, understandable. The shareable monkey bread for $5 was the size of a donut, I wouldn’t consider it shareable size, but it was a solid 8 or 9. Food was good, however sadly nothing blew us away. Our waitress didn’t clear our appetizer plates for what seemed like 15 minutes, normally no big deal but with five of us shoved into a small booth and most of us having two beverages , we didn’t have a lot of space. Overall we may go back just the husband and myself but would definitely try something different. Their drinks looked fabulous! For reference we got money bread, five drinks and breakfast and with tip it was $135.
IA M — Google review
The food was delicious. It is important to get yourself on the waitlist because they get very busy. I don't recommend the iced coffee flights as they just don't have enough flavor punch. Not worth the price. Might as well just get one coffee with a flavor you like. That was my only complaint. I will be coming back to try something else. I had a waffle with lemon blueberry curd and blueberries, eggs, and bacon. It was really good.

I love all the menu options and fun flavors/latte names. The staff were friendly and helpful. I will be back! Highly recommend! Edit to add - I went back again and loved what I ordered! The lavender haze latte has such a unique blend of flavors and was amazing. Definitely will be getting that one again! I also tried the turkey, bacon, cheese, and pesto panini and enjoyed that as well. I went there today to study and found it to be a chill, quiet atmosphere. They have plenty of space and areas for seating. I will continue to come back and try more! My friend and I also shared the fall coffee flight, which was absolutely delicious and so fun! Very high-quality ingredients and great flavors. I love how they have different themed coffee flights and they change them up. Again, highly recommend!

By far my favorite place to study, it’s spacious and there is lots of seating available! They have cute coffee flights and energy drinks. There is also outdoor seating! I live in downtown CR and would rather drive 15 min than be at any of the other coffee shops in my area. The ladies are friendly and I’ve been going to this location for a while, surprised I haven’t made this review sooner!

This location is on the complete other side of town from me. But I had to head over to try the Girl Scout cookie latte flight! It was super cute, and extremely well thought out. They did have a sign posted that it could take up to 15 min to get a flight made, but I don’t think it took that long. The flavors were very good; they really captured the cookies. But the lattes were barely warm. Maybe since they were small amounts and served in glass they didn’t retain any heat. Or maybe they were supposed to be served cold, but I didn’t see that detail and they didn’t have any ice. I also had a breakfast sandwich that was delicious and balanced out the super sweet lattes. The location is unique and adorable. It could have been cleaner, but it was hopping and the small staff may have been overwhelmed. If they were you’d never know it because they were super friendly and looked like they were having a great time. I’ll be back!

Music-themed, fun coffee shop and event space. Grab a coffee flight, latte, light foods, and enjoy the many photo ops and ambiance. During good weather, sit outside along the water and enjoy a book or visit with friends. You can rent the space for events as well!

After a different coffee shop fail, we happened upon Stillwater and decided to give it a go. It was my first time there and what a neat location! Very nicely set up, great waterfront view, thoughtfully decorated with a funky pink&black music theme. The have a wine bar for events. We ordered two lattes. They were pretty good, but not amazing. If you order brewed coffee & eat in the shop, you have to pay for refills (which I don’t love). I liked the simple menu and the friendly service. The lattes came out quickly. I would go here again, but more for an event or experience and not for my every day coffee stop.

Stopped in looking for breakfast and coffee while on a road trip. The explosion of pink decor was exciting! Children are celebrated in city…that was clear. The egg bites were delicious, fresh,, and yummy 💕 We each had a latte w/an extra shot. I Highly recommend this place. It won’t disappoint!!💕

Breakfast was fabulous! Our server was super friendly and great at her job. The pancakes and bacon were some of the best I’ve had in a long time- I loved my chocolate chip pancakes. Perkins is always a solid breakfast option and I think they deserve a higher rating at this location. They have a 55 and over menu too for the boomers out there

AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE 20/10❗️Went twice in one day. 1st time- the restaurant was a little busy but that didn't stop the staff from being friendly and acknowledging us when we entered. My sister and I told the gentleman that we we wanted to place a carry out order. He advised the wait would be 45mins, wasn't a big deal. Our food came out within 20-25 mins☺️ EVERYTHING was fresh, hot and yummy. My fried chicken hibachi- broccoli was perfectly cooked and the garlic rice-loved it! I went back around 1ish am with my crew. Brandi was our waitress. She made us feel welcomed as if we'd been coming there for years- laughed and joked with us all while providing stellar customer service. We never had to ask for refills, my coffee was freshly made, and she handled our group of 8 with ease. The cook came out and checked to see if his meals met our standards, thanked us for coming, and wished us safe travels back to KY. They deserve a raise. So happy I could write a review on pure amazing customer service. Made our Cedar Rapids experience something to talk about. Keep up the great work, many kisses to their cooks♥️

In August 2025, we visited the Perkins Restaurant in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Perkins is a family-friendly restaurant, and the food tasted delicious after visiting the Amana Colonies. There are promotional meals on the menu that we enjoyed eating at favorable prices. Our trip to the Amana Colonies was great, and eating delicious Perkins food afterwards made our trip even better.

Good breakfast, reasonable price, waitress was attentive and helpful enough for 6am. Food came out quickly enough, and everything was good. Little greasy, but that's what most breakfast places are like. It was nice to have a full hot breakfast while on the road traveling instead of McDonalds or other fast food options on that strip there. The orange juice was quite big if I remember right, which is rare - usually stingy at most places. Overall it was good food, a bit pricey for a breakfast, but a nice treat for my last day in town to have a real breakfast.

This Perkins has changed so much in the last I would say a few months. The place is so much cleaner. It smell smells better, the servers are much nicer, We went in there two days ago and I forgot to put our review in, but we were so impressed with just how awesome everybody was and the amazing service. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with a friendly awesome smile by someone that really made us feel like they wanted us there and when the host sat at our table quickly, they took the time to talk to us like you were a friend. They were wonderful, awesome, amazing, sweet, friendly, wonderful, boisterous, and overall just fun. Our food came out, looking exactly like the pictures did on the handing out menu and typically things don’t look like they’re supposed to, but they did in this case. I’ll tell you what the food came out fast it was hot and I’ve never had such a succulent dish at a breakfast place in all my life. It was so great and we couldn’t stop talking about how amazing it was. Talk about great service great people and an overall great team. They constantly stay busy and didn’t get overwhelmed, and we always felt like we were the bright star in their dining room when they had plenty of tables. It was like everyone was getting that same. Awesome service from these wonderful great and fun people. My family will be coming here for years to come, and we are thankful that we have such a great place to go to in our hometown. It was an interesting, fun, great, awesome, fantastic time and we will be back, especially since we have the 20% off coupons that we can use over and over again talk about fantastic. This is awesome and it feels like Perkins is coming back in a it was a interesting, fun, great, awesome, fantastic time and we will be back, especially since we have the 20% off coupons that we can use over and over again talk about fantastic. Our waitress Grace at Perkins did an amazing job taking care of our party of four during breakfast. She was super friendly and welcoming from the moment we sat down, and she made sure our drinks were always full and our food came out just right. Grace remembered all of our special requests without even writing them down, and everything came out perfectly. She checked in on us just the right amount not too much, but always when we needed something. Her positive attitude and attention to detail really made our morning feel extra special. We were all so impressed with her service!

Love their food and some of the workers are nice and amazing about getting all of my order right. Being pregnant it is definitely my #1 craving and is the only thing that will stay down. Definitely is the healthiest to eat too since everything there tastes fresh and every meal has veggies in it. Also love their sweet treats as of course being pregnant I am craving some sweets.

I placed an online order (6051715818646510.) It said it would be ready in 10 min but I ended up waiting there for over an hour before I go the ready notification. Only to find out that the employees have to mark it ready in order start prepping other foods. So I waited another 20 minutes for a total of almost 90 minutes. My smoothie was room temperature at this point so I asked politely if it could be remade. The staff was very nice about the situation as was I. This is an issue with the online ordering and pick up service. On top of all this I had order 2 sandwiches with modifications (no onion amd tomato, no onion) they both came with onions and tomatoes. I'm disappointed to say the least.

Panera serves simple but delicious salads, sandwiches, soups, and bakery items. My favorite is their Pick 2, with half a sandwich and cup of soup. In the day I visited service was fast and friendly. My food arrived hot (soup) and cold (sandwich), just as it should be. Everything was made to order and delicious. Tables are well spaced so our friend with a walker could maneuver through. I ordered an additional cup of chicken noodle soup to-go. Unfortunately the cup wasn’t filled all the way, and there were few noodles and nearly zero chicken (see video).

Friendly atmosphere, the employees were respectful and courteous. Ordered the bacon turkey brovo. A smash hit for my hunger spot. Good sandwich for the price if you dont mind spending an extra dollar. Parking lot had its spaces, but front row your not getting a spot unless you're handicapped or doordash. Great seating area, and clean, especially for the amount of traffic coming and going.

I rarely do reviews this low, but this Panera Bread deserves low marks. I put in an order on the Panera app for in-cafe eating - for 2 “you-pick-two” lunches. The app worked fine. Then when the order came up, it was bagged to go….. then we opened the bag and found this “partial baguette”! Why anyone would serve this was beyond me. Well, ok, that was the tip of the iceberg. We didn’t get the soup on the second order and neither of the sandwiches were marked for us to figure out which belonged to each of us. Up to the counter….. let them know first that we had asked for in-cafe pick up and not in bags to go, then asking which sandwich is which? Since they weren’t marked. Staff in the kitchen was defensive and argumentative when telling me “this one is hot” and “that one is not”. So, we asked “so what are these sandwiches”. I had the receipt in front of him this entire time. He figured it out looking at the receipt and told us. Then, we showed him the baguette and he said “well it just got pulled apart badly” (as if that made it ok?!). Then we asked for the missing soup. He said “there is no soup in that order”! I looked at him and said “this is a you-pick-two as shown on this receipt - and it shows the chicken and wild rice soup “! He then grudgingly put soup in a to-go cup and also in another bag! We already didn’t want all those disposable cups and bags….. also of note is that the portion sizes were not the same as the last time we went to a Panera Bread, but have no idea if that was a mistake or a Panera Bread cost cutting thing.

went to the Panera, Paid for food, but was unable to obtain any. Waited 15 or so minutes for it to go order, Had not been started yet, Said it would be another 15 to 30 minutes, Requested refund, Told me they would do it, but did not. Called customer service, They tried to offer me an expiring $15 coupon, Which was unacceptable. Said that it would take 30 or more days to complete a refund and not try to compare me into taking the coupon rather than refunding my money. Do not recommend this place to anyone Who needs their food in less than 45 minutes. Customer service response Was also unacceptable suggesting that quality of Panera continues to decline

Chick-fil-A is a popular fast-food chain known for its chicken sandwiches, nuggets, salads, and sides. Customers praise the efficiency, consistency, and convenience of ordering through the app for curbside pickup. The staff is commended for their friendly service and the cleanliness of the dining area. The drive-through operates smoothly with minimal wait times.
When I arrived, I thought the drive thru was closed. That's why I went inside. I included a couple of photos of the construction. If you're passing by there and have a craving, it is open for business. So, I was halfway done demolishing my spicy chicken sandwich and waffle fries when I realized I hadn't taken a photo. I know they're not needed all of the time, but I feel weird not doing them. I'd never had the spicy chicken sandwich before. I asked the nice guy who was taking my order if it was super spicy, and he said said no, it should be alright. I love the waffle fries, and I got a half tea/half lemonade drink. It was very refreshing. While I was eating, another nice guy came by my table twice and asked if I needed anything. The second time, I did get a refill on my drink. That was a pleasant surprise. The spice of the chicken was just good enough to make your nose run and your tongue tingle. Nothing unbearable. As I was leaving, I noticed the fancy motion activated trash bins. Yeah, I'm easily amused. It was a great experience, and I was glad I hadn't gone to the drive thru.

Placed a catering order for me and coworkers in the morning at like 9am to be picked up at 5:30pm (on my way to work at night shift). Arrived at 5:30pm and it wasn't ready. Requested plates and utensils when placing order, and no plates or utensils were ready, had to request them and wait longer. Overpriced, delayed, and not worth it. I do not recommend catering from this place.

My only complaint is that you need to cook the fries longer! Used to be able to order them well done but they stopped doing that! Raw fries are very disgusting and stop putting so much ice in the cups ! I've asked for very little ice and they still don't listen and fill the cup

They do of good job of getting people thru the drive through quickly even though it busy. They have people standing outside in the drive though taking orders. Brought the family (two little ones in tow) out for a Friday breakfast and had the pleasure of being served by Pebble G. Now, let me just say—Pebble’s service was absolutely terrible… in the best way possible. She joked with us the whole time, kept the table laughing, and even let me tease her about being “shitty at her job” while still somehow managing to keep our coffee full and the food coming hot. The food itself hit the spot—classic Perkins comfort breakfast done right. Pancakes fluffy, eggs on point, and everything tasted fresh. But honestly, the real highlight was Pebble’s sense of humor and easy-going vibe. She made wrangling two kids at a restaurant feel less like chaos and more like fun. So yes, the food was good—but Pebble’s “bad” service made it even better. Highly recommend asking for her if you want your breakfast with a side of laughs. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5 stars, even if I “pretend” otherwise)

This is addressed to corporate officers. This is one of the dirtiest restaurants I've ever been in. When I first arrived I went to the ladies restroom, and the first thing I noticed was the smell, a mixture of urine and disinfectant. The toilet was loose, and there was no soap in the dispenser. Most disturbing was the black gunk around the tile on the baseboard, there was a quarter inch of this gunk. This is what happens when a floor is never properly cleaned, just mopped with a wet mop, the flith builds up on the baseboard. The hostess went to seat me, I asked for a quiet area, she left me at a dirty table near the back. The table had a film on it, and stains. She came back tried to wipe it off with a soaking wet bar towel, it did not come clean. All the tables had this greasy film, and stains on them. The manager came over and told me this section was closed. I had enough, I told him the place was too dirty and the restroom smell killed my appetite. As I walked out I noticed how truly disgustingly filthy this place was. I took some pictures of the entrance, the sidewalk was black with grease, and the windows looked hazy from grime too. Have they ever been cleaned, or washed? The door handle area was filthy, lots of buildup of germs, bacteria, disease, wash your hands after opening the door...you'll have to bring your own soap, or use a baby wipe. Do not bring an infant into this environment, their immune system wouldn't be strong enough to handle it. Seriously, Not a good first impression, not at all. I walked back to my vehicle parked in back, and the funk, the stench, that hit me near the backdoor made me gag, and I was glad I left without eating. I can only imagine how dirty kitchen must be. Doesn't Iowa have Health Codes, and Health Inspectors? I felt like I was in a third world country, not a Perkins. Seriously how does a place where people eat become so damned nasty! Surely I can't be the only one who noticed this... apparently the manager never has. I wonder how horribly nasty his home and car must look! All this does not reflect well on the staff, or community, as I try to understand why anyone would eat here. Enlarge the pic on the review before mine, the cinnamon roll with cream topping. Notice the floor in the pic, how black the floor is in front of the cabinet doors. There's even a pathway through the filth.

Went to this Perkins twice this week. First midweek and now on Saturday morning. Love being able to get in and get seated without waiting forever. We had Pebble as our waitress both times and she was fantastic. She had a great attitude! The food is good and hot. Pancakes are just a little smaller than most places but still taste good.

I Wasn't sure whether I should leave this review or not; as I'm not one for complaining too much. Last night we came in to celebrate my birthday everything was going fine the service did seem a little rushed which is understandable. At the end of the service we accidentally spilled some cups the waitress couldn't be bothered to grab any napkins and let the water drip all over my brother. When my brother went to pay on their portable card reader the card reader was not working properly and I suggested we pay up front the waitress then blamed our card and said that the upfront system is the exact same mind you the card reader she handed us was guncked up and clearly old. I decide to walk up front and try to pay for it there where it worked it was quite clear that she didn't even want to try that we still left her a 15%tip even though after we all agreed she should of maybe gotten $5

Hunger struck around 18:00 and my beloved and I decided upon good ol fashioned American diner fare , possibly one of the best decisions I’ve made in the last 72 hours . When we arrived we were greeted by a polite young lady who brought us to a comfortable booth when we were seated , the waitress came to the side of our booth and kindly asked what we’d like to order, I apprehensively asked if there was any way that I could get a whole chocolate french silk pie but eat only eat a single slice at the table and to much delectation our fair haired waitress Kimberly smiled and said she’d make it happen , and that she did . My dear partner ordered a “build your own breakfast “ with pancakes eggs and bacon cooked to perfection by the gastronomic gods in the back of the house who’s names remain unknown to this very day But praise be Perkins and its pies and especially their employee Kimberly for being absolutely illustrious as far as service and conversation , if you end up in a booth here after 6pm you’ll be in great hands . Kim is a legendary waitress with style grace and a smile on her face .

I guess if you don't order breakfast here, it's a guaranteed failure of a meal. Why serve a T- bone if it doesn't even look like real meat? I wouldn't serve this to my dog. No apologies given and took $8.50 off. This isn't consumable. We won't be back. It was loud, most of the servers looked like they just rolled out of bed and came to work. Do better or maybe care, IHop.

Our server was joy exemplified! We had a kiddo who had a rough day and our server ( didn't get his name) was understanding and just rolled with it all, even when we ended up getting food to go. This place should be busier than it was, the service alone is worth it. The food was good, pancakes fantastic (even though we got them as takeout) and the syrup has no high fructose corn syrup. American Skillet is a cozy daytime eatery that offers classic American diner fare, such as omelets, pancakes, and burgers. It is a popular spot where customers can enjoy their meals without long waits. The service provided by the staff is friendly and efficient. While the Philly omelette could be improved due to its slightly tasteless and tough steak cubes, the rest of the dish is enjoyable.

It wasn't too heavy on the Thousand Island that was good corned beef was good and the bottom piece of bread was slightly soggy but not bad overall I really enjoyed it and I would recommend the Rubens to anyone who comes there. It must have been a birthday of the owner because she had flowers on the counter by the cash register that was fun. Apparently she's been working there for 20 years maybe. Is the daughter is working there and likes working there. That would be cool if that restaurant would be taken over by the Next Generation.

Great little restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch. Food is good and reasonably priced. Service is fast and friendly. They have some great menu items like fruit and fiber pancakes that have blueberries and granola. Yummy! Large orange juice is huge!

Panera Bread is a popular bakery and coffee house chain that offers a variety of sandwiches, salads, and other delectable dishes. Renowned for its freshly baked goods and complimentary WiFi, it is a go-to spot in Cedar Rapids for those seeking a steaming cup of joe alongside mouth-watering food. The establishment prides itself on using natural ingredients without any artificial preservatives, colors, sweeteners, or flavors.
Thank you so much!!! Everything was perfect today. Customer service was one million out of one million!!! 👏👏👏👏 I came in and noticed advertisement about the three Asiago bagel stacks. I could not decide which one I wanted. So I bought all three. BEST SANDWICHES I HAVE EVER ATE!!! THESE HIT THE SPOT. I will be craving these later on, that is for sure. Now can we talk about the customer service. I didn't order a drink and was asked if I wanted a water cup. I grabbed my bag and was genuinely thanked and she looked me in my eyes. You guys are stepping up your game and doing it right!!! THANK YOU!!!

This was my 1st time at the Cedar Rapids (Edgewood Road) Panera Bread. It was clean, I liked the kiosk (yes, it's been a while since I have been to Panera Bread). My son works nearby so he could get lunch and go back to work. The only thing the store needed was a working 'fireplace'. It's in the middle of the room but not functional (it's electric). The fireplace would add some atmosphere to the restaurant.

I really enjoyed the bacon mac n cheese bread bowl. And the salad has a nice touch and the strawberry banana smoothie. I may come back again to my local one.

Food was delicious at this location. Didn’t have any interaction with the staff, as order was placed through kiosk. At the same time I feel there were several opportunities where we could have at least been acknowledged. Only complaint really is bathrooms are dirty and the smell upon entering is very off putting. Dining room was neither gross nor clean. It looked like the dining room of a busy restaurant. I would eat here again

I ordered the Buffalo chicken melt that came on a French baguette. Huge disappointment. It was all bread and very little else, as you can see from the pictures. They should take it off of the menu.

Great place to pickup a quick sandwich and soup for lunch. They do also have good breakfast items as well. Easy to place an order and then use the quick pickup kisok to grab your food and go. In and out in a manner of seconds and they have 3 convenient parking spots reserved for pickup orders.

I love Paneras Rapid pick up service. It's always ready and on time when you order online and just park in the designated spot, then out in seconds flat. This time we sat in cafe for coffee, Disappointed that the pretty fireplace seems permanently out of order. It was cold in cafe and noisy. **Update: The fireplace is now working and such a nice addition to the atmosphere

Fabulous hole-in-the-wall place. Family owned. Visited in November. Back in February, and it's on our to-do list of places to visit again for lunch. The food was perfect. The drinks were spectacular! If you like visiting coffee shops, you have to come here.

A cozy cafe with not much sophistication, but has a good balance of both comfort & a quiet atmosphere. Met Stephanie who was very Polite & Customer Friendly👍. Restrooms are Immaculately Clean. The food is also AWESOME, try the Breakfast Burritos. Patrons will say hi, smile & acknowledge each other in Friendly Banter, the way it should be👋😃. Will definitely stop in again. Thank you & keep up the Good Work folks🇺🇲🤝

Very nice coffee and they actually can steam the milk properly which believe me, many places can’t. Also they have soy milk which is annoyingly rare to find in coffee shops in the U.S for some reason so that’s a big plus for me! The server was very friendly and they had no problem with grilling the chicken for my sandwich instead of deep frying it. Would be nice if there were more “light” meal options available like salads or omelettes. Also, the boxes for the sandwiches could be bigger as it makes it a bit difficult to eat

Hands down the best cafe in town. Everything is made from scratch and is so fresh. I always end up ordering several plates including a side of fruit because the meals are so delicious. Be prepared for a lunch rush around noon. We waited for over 30 minutes for our found and it was entirely worth it. The beignets are incredible - wear white so you don't show the powder sugar! I think about stopping in for something to go daily... But I probably go in about once every other week. I would go in more if I lived closer to downtown. Also it's an excellent place to go to before or after a visit to the library. Lightworks has lots of choices no matter your dietary requirements. Yum!

The breakfast options are particularly popular, with standout dishes like the breakfast quesadilla and steak breakfast burrito. Despite occasional slow service during busy times, patrons appreciate the friendly staff and delicious coffee. Lunch options are also available, making it a great spot for any meal of the day.
Love coming here for breakfast. Shannon our server is sweet and sassy, likes to joke with customers and genuinely treats people with respect and good service! Quaintly decorated with nostalgic items from decades past, atmosphere is almost as enjoyable as the food! Menus priced well with single entrees and meals available. Takes less than 10 minutes to receive my order every time!

I am so sorry. I HATE to give negative food reviews... First, our waitress was WONDERFUL! Thank you for being you! Our food was mostly inedible. Eggs were wonderful, hash browns burnt over half of surface, steak was tough & had no flavor, prefer toast with melted butter from the kitchen but understand that some folks prefer unbuttered. Wife had to leave her shipwreck behind. We are desperately looking for a really good breakfast restaurant. Any suggestions?

They have a lot of wonderful breakfast options. The service can be a little slow when they get busy, but the service is generally good overall. I have always loved their coffee. The prices are fair and the portions are generous. Breakfast is my favorite thing here, but they do have plenty of good options for lunch as well.

Really good food. I especially loved the sweet potato pancakes. The service was a little bit scattered, but as long as you aren't in a big hurry, you will get a fantastic breakfast. I also had the biscuits and gravy which were good too.
Kimberly P — Google review
Our server was 5 star worthy but my Hot Beef sandwich was barely 2 stars. I had to send it back to be reheated...paper thin beef that was almost non existent. Breaded Pork Tenderloin was thick, large, and a 2 meal sandwich. The grilled strip chicken salad was a great selection for lunch, huge and tasteful. This restaurant has an extensive menu and specials as well. You wont leave hungry. Concerning the atmosphere you only go for the food.
Michele F — Google review
Ate breakfast. Ordered a shipwreck, some places call it a skillet. I was not terribly impressed with it. Their American fries are much thicker and bulkier than most cafes we eat at. It felt like I was eating a large plate of potatoes with hints of eggs. They were overbearing and anything else in there could not be tasted. Very bland and hints of "bacon bits" as well, that is gross and cheap. The establishment was warm and clean, no complaints there, but the shipwreck, not again.

Homey atmosphere with mismatched coffee cups. The breakfast quesadilla with eggs and black beans inside was outstanding!!! My friend loved his steak breakfast burrito with a side of black beans. The vanilla latte was very tasty as well. It was rather busy, but we found two spots at the counter. The staff was very friendly. Will definitely go back.

Donutland, located at 4307 Center Point Rd NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402-3014, is a local favorite known for its quality donuts. The atmosphere is reminiscent of old times with regulars enjoying coffee and donuts. The cake donuts are made in-house and are highly praised for their delicious taste. Despite some mixed experiences with the service, many customers have fond memories of visiting this establishment over the years.
I absolutely love Donutland. I grew up going here and have enjoyed it for the past 20+ years. I view it as a staple in our community. Their donuts are always made fresh and taste so delicious. I have also ordered their donuts for my wedding and graduation party, so they can easily do events and bigger orders too. Highly recommend!

The name is epic, the food not so much. There was a really cool retro vibe and they had some unique pastries like the 'rose' but the dough and frosting were gas station level. Everything was fresh and the staff was friendly, I just was expecting something special and memorable from a place with that name.

The apple fritter was amazing! 😋 The counter staff was friendly, happy, and informative. If you can’t make it to the Cedar Rapids location there are others in the area!! Nice selection of donuts and friendly staff. Definitely get there early if you want a good selection. The chocolate cream filled long John was exceptional. They have some shirts and hats too if you’re into that.

Pretty much all I can say is it was open at a few minutes after nine. They only had blueberry, which has changed and looked tan instead of blue and had very little flavor. Cherry, which isn’t my thing so I can’t say if it was good or bad. One chocolate peanut, which the frosting was so thin that it looked painted on. I did get that. It was somewhat stale. Then there were sprinkles. As I’ve sat here several people have left. Never any coconut etc it seems. I’ll go to the west side next time.

Visited on Fri June 6th on national donut day, and was very disappointed in the quality of the donuts I purchased for 7 dollars and some change. My Boston cream was very doghey and super nasty chewy instead of the light and fluffy I'm used too.....I want a full refund....and no the cashier didn't give me a receipt.

If you're not from around the area and are looking for quality donuts, then you MUST visit Donutland. Coming here for the first time is like a right of passage as a local. I have many memories as a child coming to this donut shop, seeing the old men sitting around at the tables with a pot of coffee and donuts and it's still the same. The donuts are just amazing! They are cake donuts, made here. This is a small local business who knows how to make quality donuts! The cherry and blueberry are always a must, the sprinkles are a favorite of mine. All the donuts are amazing and you can't go wrong. The service is always friendly! Even when they are super busy and a line is out the door. We moved away from Cedar Rapids and are back visiting and this is always a must on our trips. Do skip on Donutland! Go early because when they sell out, they are out. They open at 6 am on the weekends and 5 during the week. My inner child and belly are happy!!
Kera P — Google review
The best donuts around. Cherry and Blueberry are among my favorites and so much better than the same flavors at other places because they put the flavor in the glaze, not just in the donut. I’m sure that’s a lot more work than just having one glaze for all donuts but it makes them superior tasting, not to mention very colorful. That said, my favorite donut as a kid was always the cinnamon twist donut. I’ve not seen it at least since the change in ownership. I tried the rose thing but it wasn’t all that great. Consider bringing back the cinnamon twist and I’ll revise my review to 5 stars :)

Starbucks, the iconic coffeehouse chain originating from Seattle, is not just a place to grab your favorite brew; it’s also a hub of warmth and community. Known for its signature roasts and light snacks, this cozy spot often provides free WiFi, making it an ideal location for both relaxation and productivity. During my recent visit with my child and neighbor, we encountered Skye—a barista who truly exemplified the spirit of Starbucks.
Skye yes I am naming her out. Saturday myself child and neighbor went in. I was having a bad day physically, Skye went way ABOVE & BEYOND any starbucks barista ever and we moved from San Diego. She saw that I was struggling to walk, but I have a complex drink so I didn't want my neighbor to do drive thru. Skye was not only professional but also showed kindness and compassion. She also offered to walk my drink out. A barista can make or break a store, and this store for the last year & change the manager at this place her attitude has always sucked. Even when you say hello or ask her if shes ok. I'm now happy to go back because individuals like Skye have now made this location a million times better. Also my drink was perfect. I was there picking up a delivery for a paying customer, I waited in line, when I got to the register I said good morning, the gal said I'll be with you in a moment and walked away. I said, "That's fine, no worries." My order was sitting ready on the counter just needing bagged up. She walked over and bagged up several other orders and started other orders. She started bagging my order and then quit to wait on other customers again. So I ended up waiting 15 minutes for an order that was sitting out on the counter that whole time. No greeting when I came in like they did with other customers, no thank you, no, nothing, just a glare. I was pleasant and mannerly impatient and will never go back.

I got locked out of my car here once and all the baristas were so nice. They let me use their phone to call AAA and one of them even offered to drive me to my class at Kirkwood. Some of the nicest people I’ve interacted with at a Starbucks.

Don’t order a cappuccino, you will get a latte. Staff is nice, but far from Baristas. Dumping milk into a cup with espresso is far from a cappuccino, and sadly, no one has time to request it be remade. Happened 4 times consistently when I visited Cedar Rapids last week. Unfortunately there is only 1 Starbucks in that area.

Everybody has an attitude when you come in & they make watery drinks. My coffee tastes like milk & I don’t even taste the shot of espresso I got. FIRE the whole staff & get a new one.

This is the worst place to get coffee ever. I used to be a scooter lover and then switch to this. I mostly take my decaf latte and my sandwiches ther, sometimes they will make order mistake I tolerated. This time I forgot my wallet realized that when I was in the line. I only had $9.1 as cash, I tried other options to pay my meals but these people were not ready to make arrêt and we're asking if I wanted to remove some 🤦🏽‍♀️, but I enjoyed taking the sandwiches and latte together. Then I asked to cancel the order that was already made. They were okay with. The would rather loses $11.10 that lose the difference of $1.10 I can't believe this. No marketing zero empathy, they didn't care that I am a regular customer pffffff

Can the employees here not read mobile orders? If someone states they want “light ice” - DON’T fill the cup all the way to the brim with ice. I gave this location (2) chances to get it right & they didn’t. I’ll continue driving to first ave. For those of us that can’t have ice due to teeth sensitivity - this is a slap in the face. Hire competent employees that actually read orders. Not ones that want to be jerks. Thanks! Oh - and the bacon on my sandwich was floppy and chewy (and I got 1 pack of sriracha instead of (4)) that was clearly stated on the order label. Also… make sure your employees aren’t wearing disgusting aprons - they should be cleaned!

Taco Bell is a popular fast-food chain that specializes in delicious Mexican-inspired dishes, including tacos, quesadillas, and nachos. Recently, I decided to try their delivery service through the app. However, my experience took an unexpected turn when I was reassigned multiple DoorDash drivers without receiving my order. After some time waiting for my food, I reached out to Taco Bell directly and spoke with a lovely employee who helped clarify the situation.
I placed an order for delivery through the app. I got reassigned several DoorDash drivers and eventually called the store to find out why my order had been taking so long and why I kept getting assigned different drivers without ever receiving food. It turned out the first DoorDash driver assigned took my food but never delivered it. The girl on the phone (working around 0100 on 7/30) was the sweetest. There was nothing she could do to help me cancel my order since it was through the app, but she was very professional and patient with me about possible solutions. Great customer service. 10/10 employee. Give that girl a raise. She single-handedly turned it from a very bad experience to a very good one.

So, I feel they probably couldn't have messed up my order more without literally being intentional. Let's get to the first thing.. I ordered 4 Doritos Locos Tacos (they didn't have them, alright fine. I'll pay the extra for something I'm not getting.. whatever. Not that big of a deal). I also ordered two Cheesy Gordito Crunches.. they didn't have the spicy ranch sauce on them, an integral part of the specialty (not an add on or a substitution, it's standard). Love a dry taco; said nobody. My meal included Nachos and cheese, the cheese cup was less than half filled. I ordered the 5 layer burrito without beans, there were beans of course. I realized I was missing my Fiesta Potatoes AND my cinnabites.. went through the drive through again and got them. The potatoes were hard. On the bright side, when I came back for my missing items they gave me 3 coupons for a free taco... that will likely also be incorrect. Thanks but no thanks. Pretty much every single item I ordered was completely effed up.

Went to pick up an order through drive thru. Red haired lady immediately was rude stating wait a minute before I could say a thing at the speaker. When I told her the name for the pick up order she was rude again saying I don't know why this keeps coming through, we don't have it. When I finally got to the windows and was handed the drink. I told her it was the wrong drink. I ordered a coffee. She said I can't do coffee so I gave you a lemonade. I said a lemonade is not even close to a coffee. She asked for it back seemingly to fix the order. As I handed it to her she grabbed it out of my hands, told me to get out of her drive thru and "slammed" the sliding windows closed. I sat there waiting for her to come back to the windows when she did she started yelling at me. This is a horrible location and she needs to be fired immediately.

i have never written a review before, but today blew my mind. i ordered pick up, my whole order was STALE and cold and spilled in the bag. i only asked if they could replace my fries and they did not acknowledge me they just started making them. the employees are pea brained. it took about 10 minutes for fries! and then they had the audacity to be stingy and put very little in the bag! as someone who used to work in fast food this is not ok. you get paid to make the food! i was not rude in any way. but they clearly have no sense of urgency! its FAST FOOD for a reason and they weren’t even busy! the place was not that dirty i will say. but dont go here. the employees clearly are not trained very well to do the job at all. choose literally any other taco bell

McDonald's, a well-established fast-food chain famous for its hamburgers and French fries, recently encountered an incident where a customer's order was missing the latter. I went into this McDonald's with my son. tonight. Wasnt busy at all.. Got greeted by "Hey Bro" This employee didn't have a regular uniform on and his pants were down to the back of thighs. We asked if they still had SHAMROCK shakes. After being confused 2 of them went over to the machine and it was peeing green. The female was picking her nose. Next after we placed an order they walked away and we had to find our own cups. After wanting Sprite, it came out of the machine a " Brownish Color. Got to a table after finding one that actually looked clean. Quite a few needed wiped down. Our food came out in to go bags instead of trays. I ordered s quarter pounder and in all of my 50 plus years ... I never had salt dumped on it like this one. Couldn't finish it. I've lived in the area for over 30 years and this was the worst experience I've ever had of any McDonald's in my lifetime. Just nasty!I I Hope we don't get sick over our experience . The owner needs to do some serious regrouping cleaning ,and training to improve this place. Pitiful!

Also got a bacon egg & cheese instead of my sausage I ordered. 2 sugar free coffees we got are so disgustingly sweet we threw them out. One of the cooks walked by and reeked of a crazy amount of weed. Wake n bake at McDonald's That explains my experience.

By far the worst McDonald’s I’ve ever gone to. Happy to be passing through so I don’t have to come back. They messed up almost my entire order, including incorrect and missing items. When I went to the counter, the employees couldn’t see me because they were in the corner swearing about customers. When one came over, they addressed only one missing item before walking away. The floor was greasy and slippery throughout and the men’s toilet was clogged, plus the toilet paper was sitting on top of the dispenser instead of in it. Seems like almost all recent reviews echo the general disappointment that comes from eating here.

I came for breakfast. I ordered 2 sausage egg and cheese McGriddles add bacon to both. 1 in a meal and a drink. I got 2 bacon egg and cheese McGriddles with no sausage. They had been sitting awhile and were very hard. When I came back to get my order correct I was handed a 6 piece chicken nugget box with 2 sausages that were burnt. I was here on my break and didn’t have time to fix fix this. I wouldn’t come here for breakfast. The large woman who handed me my food couldn’t wait for me to leave. Didn’t care about my order or her job. I could hear her yelling to just put sausages in the box. It is what it is. I hope McDonald’s fixes this.

I ordered using the mobile app from Walford which is a 10 minute drive to the restaurant. Once I got to the store the order was not ready. I had 3 meals with 3 drinks. Since i had 3 drinks and no one else to carry it all I asked if the drinks were ready. The guy behind the counter told me to "get your own drinks" because we were, "waiting on 2 quarter pounders." He had nothing else to do. He asked the line assembler about the burgers but had to go back there because she was on her phone. I got my 2 fountain drinks and what was supposed to be a strawberry shake... I actually got a smoothy but did not notice yet. I took them to the truck but before I left I said I would be back for the rest of the order. Noticing the manager came up to the front I stated, maybe she could cook food faster if she was not on the phone. The manager asked who was on the phone. I stood there waiting in the store for nearly 10 minutes plus the 10 minute drive and they were not busy. It was mid afternoon. Not during a rush. I also observed an employee eating off the food line. Specifically the guy behind the counter eating something from the bottom of the apple pie deal. I'm not one to complain but this location is the worst I have experienced. Should an employee be on their personal cell with the same gloves the are using to cook with? No it is not a operating room but doesn't it make you wonder what else they are doing if the management allows an environment were anything goes?

Visitors often rave about the friendly staff, who greet customers with warm smiles and remember their favorite orders, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The drive-through service is quick and efficient, allowing patrons to watch as their treats are carefully prepared without any fuss.
I absolutely love the staff here. They always great me with a smile and how are you. Most of them remember what I order when I come in. I don't mind waiting since I know they get really busy. Love the smiles! The Coffee too.

I ordered 2 donuts in the drive through. When I got them one was split in half and had chunks taken out of it as if someone dug their nails into it. The wax paper was also stuck completely on the frosting so there was no way to remove it without taking off all the frosting. When I went back through to get a replacement I was given a donut that was only half frosted with filling leaking out of the bottom. This also took them 10 minutes to do with no one else at the location. Insane.

I had a very disappointing and frustrating experience at this location today. I pulled into the drive thru line with only one car in front of me. The car ahead of me ordered and pulled forward. I pulled up and the lady over the headset says "give me just a minute and I'll get your order" I was ok with waiting a minute or 3. But then it took, not exaggerating, 10-12 minutes before anyone answered the intercom to take my order. As a line of cars formed behind me. And with only one car ahead of me this was fairly frustrating As I proceeded to order I got more disappointed because they said they were out of almost everything I actually wanted off the menu. As I asked for a maple bacon sandwich I was rudely told we don't have that right now!. I said ok how about an order of maple snacking bacon I was then rudely told we don't have any snacking bacon right now. My wife wanted some avocado toast with bacon but they didn't have bacon so she just got the avocado toast without. I then ordered a 6$ meal deal as a substitute for my maple sandwich. Which they had available And my wife asked for a pumpkin iced coffee with whip cream and pumpkin spice seasoning on top. I finally finished ordering and pulled up to pay. The lady at the drive thru was very rude to us and seemed like she didn't want to be there. She was even more short with me when I asked her to scan my phone for my rewards. I finished paying and got my order and pulled out of the parking lot. I got down the road a little ways as my wife pulls her avocado toast out of the box to take a bite and stopped with a discusted look on her face. As she pulls a bunch of hair off the top of her food and puts it in the box and says to me " I am not eating this!" I asked if she wanted me to turn around because at this point I was over the experience we were having. She said no don't worry about it we are already too far away and they were very rude anyway so she didn't want to cause any problems. She goes to give me my bagel sandwich and it wasn't fully cooked. I'm talking warm on the edges and the egg and cheese was still very cold in the middle. Even more disappointed I put the food in the bag and gave up on my ruined breakfast. As my wife had just done moments before me. Between the drive thru taking forever and our more than 20$ wasted on disappointing food we didn't get to enjoy. and then the rude staff I would say I was less than satisfied with experience at this location.

Quick easy drive-through. You can watch the guy load up the bag. His hands don’t touch the donuts or at at least not mine he smiled at me, and have a good day

I’m not sure what the issue was… maybe they were racist or something but I did a mobile order in the parking lot so that they didn’t have to hear my baby crying at the intercom. Not a single car in the drive through while I ordered on my phone. I pulled up to say I had a mobile order and she angrily says “yeah I just got that…. It’s gonna be a minute but you can pull up to the window I guess”. Not really sure what the issue is since there was nobody in the drive through and it probably would’ve taken more time if I ordered at the intercom. Then they gave me soggiest hash browns I’ve ever had… and after she handed them to me she slammed the window shut. Idk what I did to piss them off so bad but I’ll just go to Starbucks next time haha

Bruegger's Bagels is a cafe and bakery chain that specializes in small-batch, New York-style bagels. They also offer a variety of breakfast and lunch sandwiches. Despite being located further than expected from Kirkwood Community College, the food at Bruegger's is both fast and delicious, served with high-quality service. Their menu features dark toasted sesame bagels topped with smoked salmon, along with other made-to-order bagel entrees. Additionally, their cookies are highly recommended.
I tried the Farmhouse bagel sandwich and it was absolutely amazing! It is the best breakfast sandwich I have ever tasted. I will be back again soon! Brueggers never disappoints. Quality ingredients and flavorful food. Highly recommend their bagels and cream cheese as well.

I usually try to leave nice reviews cause I get it, lots of moving parts but this is ridiculous. I go in and whoever is running the till either can’t hear or can’t operate his machine. I order a western sandwich, no cheese on an onion bagel and a sriracha honey sunrise on an everything bagel. After waiting I get called up for only one bagel—okay I’m a good sport I kindly say my order now for the fourth time and it feels like I’m getting somewhere. I take my science experiment bagel and wait some more and finally get my order, only to get home to one correct order and a stupid everything bagel with honey sriracha smothered all over it. I ordered from YOUR menu! Honestly the worst service I’ve had in a long while, and that really sucks to say cause everyone was really nice. But that’s just ridiculous.

So, I am a bimbo and ordered a door dash pickup to grab on my short lunch break but I ordered it from the wrong location. Went into this one and the gentleman was so kind, he made my order for me on the spot while I called the other store and he was SO nice and understanding about it. I wish I'd gotten his name, but I hope he receives accolades for going above and beyond when he really didn't have to. I will definitely be back (and I'll order in store🤪)

The prices of food at this place are honestly absurd. I stop in once in a while because it's on my way to work. $8.30 is the median price for one bagel sandwich. I asked to exchange the type of cream cheese and the price went up to $10. The audacity to charge $10 for a bagel sandwich is honestly atrounding. I'm not going to shop here anymore. There are still proper sit down restaurants in town, not chains, where you can get a full meal for that price. And the place is noisy. Multiple fridges running, the music is played through one crappy speaker. Not a nice play to stay.

First off Pat ( The manager ) is fantastic. Always been an amazing person, I've been going to this location since HS ( 25 yrs plus ) Not much has changed here over the years minus a few different seating arrangements/layouts. The bagels are always good 8/10. Service has never been poor at this location from any of my experiences. They are busy at times but seem to handle the rush very well. A lotnof great menu options, as well as a somewhat extensive drink menu. I always go for the Jalepeno cheese topped bagel, but I've had the menu top to bottom at some point. Always fresh, always warm, always something for everyone's taste. Highly recommend stopping in as a return customer. Or someone new looking for a good bagel joint.

McDonald's, the iconic fast-food chain that has been a staple for burger and fry lovers, is making strides in improving its service. Once notorious for slow wait times, this location has transformed into a more efficient spot where customers can expect average speed—much better than before! The staff seems to genuinely care about their work, with some even bringing festive cheer through impressive Christmas decorations that could rival those at home.
Guy at the 1st window was very robot and his vibe was like he was over being there, but the dude at the second window was very great and upbeat and thankful for our service even tho it was 1130pm. Thanks second window dude, Your amazing!!

This place has gotten its act together. It used to be very slow, but now it is average for a McDonald's. The employees seem to actually try. They also have better Christmas decorations inside the restaurant than I have at my house. Food is on par with McDonald's. They have gotten much faster. Gone are the days of waiting 30 minutes for a happy meal, and the restaurant is better for it. I avoided this place before because it was so slow and my kids always wanted to go here because it has a play place. I don't avoid it anymore. 4 stars because while it has improved, it used to be terrible.
Prickles H — Google review
What a disservice they did when remodeling this. The food was quick and fine, and the service people were amazing, but WHY would you make this nice play center with nowhere to sit?! There are only 4 small tables in the play area, and an additional six tables in the main eating area. We were lucky enough to get a table, but many families left because there is NO seating. The kids had a blast in the play area, but I doubt we will be back anytime soon due to seating restrictions.

Update: 11/14/24 They have gone backwards badly again…. They repeatedly don’t understand the concept of no cheese when you say no cheese! Not sure what’s confusing about this. Not just once but several times so I guess we are done with this location. Good luck to anyone else that goes here… This location is getting better. They had a bad spell then got better. Sometimes they go backwards but last night (Halloween) they was busy and they kept everyone moving quickly!! Nice work!!

I took my grand daughter to this newly remodeled McDonald's yesterday. She liked the playland. I didn't like the very limited seating now available in the play area after the remodel. There was much more seating before. There are no napkins, straws or ketchup available for self service, you have to ask a worker for those items. The food was typical McDonald's and the woman taking care of the customer area was very nice and she was working very hard during a busy lunch rush. In my opinion the remodel to this location from a customer perspective is a step back, less customer friendly experience. I want to be able to fill/refill my drink as needed and not rely on a McDonald's crew person. The same goes for ketchup and napkins. I think they wasted a lot of time and money with this "upgrade/update" and should have just done a detailed cleaning of the existing customer areas. I plan this avoid this McDonald's as much as possible and not go during meal rush time.
Kirk A — Google review
Brand new store yet just like the old one is always dirty. Staff really seems to be hiding away from view as much as possible. No more free refills, no napkins or ketchup to be found. They will give those to you only if you can track down an employee. I'm not a fan of the kiosks and overall it just seems like McDonalds is trying for an entirely robotic existence with as little staff as possible. They continue to keep their process in order when it comes to the food, so it's always what you expect. No surprises there at least.
Ron Y — Google review
I think they need to choose a direction and stick with it. Either fully lean into the self-service model or make sure there are team members consistently available to help. The space has clearly been redesigned with a self-service McDonald’s feel in mind, which I personally don’t mind. I actually prefer kiosks most of the time. That said, if the setup is going to minimize employee interaction, then essential items like napkins, straws, ketchup, and drinks should be easy to grab. Right now, all of those are kept in the kitchen. So if you need something, you have to go up to the counter, which often isn’t staffed because of the kiosks, and just wait until someone notices you. Once they do, they have to come over, listen to your request, and then head back to the kitchen to get what you need. It’s very inefficient for customers but also for the busy employees who now have to run back and forth to get things that should be standard in a fast food restaurant lobby. During my visit, one employee saw me and walked past without acknowledging me. Another started to approach but was pulled into a conversation with the first employee before she could help. I ended up standing there for a while just trying to get something that I could have grabbed myself in 5 seconds. The new layout also doesn’t allow for refills without asking since the machines are all in the kitchen now. The lobby space itself is much smaller than before, and we were surprised by how limited the seating was. Lastly, unless it’s still in progress, there are no menu boards for people who either can’t or prefer not to use the kiosk. The counter only has a register and a screen playing ads, but no menu to reference which seems odd at a fast food restaurant.

Visited in July 2025 after reopening. Food was fresh, order correct, no issues there. I do not like the new format. No access to extra napkins, no self service beverages. If you need something you have to wait at an unstaffed counter until you catch the eye of someone in the back, which can take several minutes. The inside layout seems dramatically smaller than it used to be. Took a while to find a table. Kids liked the play place - my older kid preferred the prior version, but my younger kid liked this one. I’m sure I’ll be back at some point but wouldn’t make a special effort to return - I prefer the “traditional” restaurant format to this new style (which is similar to Lindale Mall McDs).

Good tasting bagles, lots of variety. Always have to ask for it to get toasted again (2nd run through the machine) though. I like a crunch. Good drink selection, and the place is always clean. Your current morning staff are fantastic too.

January 21, 2025 11:54 AM, I placed an order to be picked up on January 25th, at 6 AM for a Women's event at my church. I arrived at the store about 5 minutes early and could see the store was dark, and one employee was working in the back of the restaurant that was lit. While I waited in my vehicle until it was time for the store to open, I noticed someone from the outside trying to open the door. It did not open. That person walked around the corner towards the back of the building. There was a black lock hanging on the door. Later I noticed the same person inside the store. I realized it was the same employee who took my order on January 21st. At 6:07 I had to call the store and ask when they were going to unlock the door, and that I had an order to pick up. At 6:10 I was let inside the store. My order was not ready. Neither employee said good morning. The dark haired employee was very aloof, The person cooking bagels was high strung. I understand there can be problems with equipment causing an order not to be filled. But there were absolutely no customer service skills. I asked the dark haired female employee a question about my order and she chose not to answer me at all. The four tubs of cream cheese weren't even ready. I did not get the bagels that I prepaid for. There were hardly any bagels to choose from. The shelf was pretty sparse. I prepaid my $43.20 order on the 21st. The cream cheese was put in the same bag as some of the bagels that were warm. by the time I reached the church the cream cheese was runny. I saw the dark haired employee carry an armful of bagels with her bare hands holding the bagels against the chest of her t-shirt. I regret prepaying and preordering. I drove from almost Fairfax. How very disappointing.

Incredibly rude staff, don’t even think about giving them your money! I bought breakfast here and wanted to enjoy the air conditioning and sit for a bit, and they accused me of loitering and asked me to leave unless I bought a second breakfast…? They treated me like I was some kind of criminal for buying their food and sitting in their establishment… if they don’t want people to sit there, they should remove the chairs! I’ve literally never been treated this way in my life - if you want to eat some poorly prepared food and be treated like a criminal, this is the place to go

I feel like everytime I get food from here (which isn’t a lot) they always mess it up. The time before I ordered a bagel with cream cheese, avocado, and tomato, then I come home to see they only put cream cheese on despite me paying extra for the other toppings. Today, I ordered legit the simplest bagel you could get, a sesame seed with plain cream cheese, I take it home, and its just a plain bagel, no cream cheese. Bruh. Safe to say I won’t be coming back cause clearly they can’t be bothered to read a screen and add the correct toppings.

Worst service I have experienced at this store. And I was dealing with the General Manager. Absolutely no customer service qualities in this person. Other worker in kitchen ignored request for assistance. No acknowledgement. Just a cold shoulder from both employees. These two people do not belong in the Service Industry. Cold, sterile feeling environment for a restaurant.

We asked for 6 meat and potato burritos and four mountain dews. They put bean and cheese burritos on our recite instead after they messed up our order the first time giving us one steak and one mountain dew. We even went inside and yet they intentionally put bean and cheese burritos down. Do not go here. They have no respect and wish to just mess with customers.

Food was pretty normal for Taco Johns. The service was awful. We used the kiosk to order because drive thru was their only priority. We didn't get our drinks cups until our food came out TWENTY FIVE MINUTES later, and I had to ask the employee running the food for the drink cups. Will not return to this location ever again.

Ordered a kids meal for my 3 year old, the chicken tenders meal. Only $5 so whatever, only to drive ALL the way home which is across town, open the “tenders” box and find a pile of potatoes and 2 of the tiniest chicken tenders I’ve ever seen. Not to mention the meal already comes with a cup of the potatoes. I usually wouldn’t care enough to make a review but $20 for a kids meal and my burrito combo and this is what I get is unacceptable. I really do not like being ripped off and that’s how I feel right now.

By far the worst fast food place! I went there for the angel reese meal (excuse how the food look) but the meat was bloody. I was breaking the sandwich apart just to see if all was like that and it was. The manger Marquese was very confrontational I simply wanted my money back and because I drunk the drink he wouldn’t refund it. He kept asking about the fries and high were in the middle of the sandwich mind you it was suppose to be a medium fry and it was small. The manager Victoria walked up and didn’t do anything and the employee slyvie was wasn’t much help either. They made me feel like I’m in the wrong when in fact it was their mistake. The offered chicken nuggets. I didn’t come for chicken nuggets so no I don’t want that, he offered to replace the sandwich no I didn’t trust that. I just wanted my money back OR they could’ve given me my money back for the BLOODY sandwich. So I’m without a meal and my money!

It's absolutely no wonder your restaurant has 3 star reviews. Your employees including managers are some of the rudest, unacommadating employees I've ever encountered. I was told I couldn't just buy the happy meal toys. ALWAYS gets the order wrong. Every single time they put the order in correct but then when we get our food, its always wrong. Doesn't matter how simple the order is. We shouldn't have to unwrap all our food to make sure it's rights even when the sticker says its correct. And it always takes so long no matter how many people are working/customers are there. Order always takes forever and is always wrong.
Faith D — Google review
Refused to remake entire order that was made incorrectly because they demanded that we come back with the incorrect order. The entire purpose of fast food is that me and my family can continue with our busy day and have a quick snack/ meal. I was not able to return right away and therefore forfeit my money. The manager recommended that we keep the old incorrect bag of food until we were able to return so that they could verify the incorrect order. We all decided to just eat the incorrect food that I didn't pay for. Very poor experience. I shouldn't have to inconvenience my family and use the gas and time to make a trip back to McDonald's on their time. Fast food is supposed to be on my time. That's the whole point.

Great fast food texmex, the tacos never fail to satisfy. And of course shutout to the potato olés because they are probably the best part of the meal (especially dipped in nacho cheese). But the service is friendly and food comes out quickly while being made to order.

I stopped in a few weeks ago. I was the only person standing inside and they only had two cars in the drive-thru. I stood there for an extremely long time just waiting for anyone to even acknowledge me. There were at least four people in their tiny kitchen right there and some of them would look up at me but not one person even said hello or will be right with you. They literally just kept ignoring me. I just left. I decided to try them again today and they also weren't busy at this time. One of the burritos I ordered the, chicken bacon ranch, I got home and they gave me a meat and potato burrito. They're not even busy And that's not even close to what I ordered. I called and let them know I can't pick it up tonight and they said that they will write my name on a whiteboard but at the end of every month they erase everything so I only have until the end of September to get it. I have 11 days to get it. I asked why they can't just use a paper list in a binder like a lot of other places use to keep track of it and got told that they can't keep track of everything. That is completely ridiculous. I will not be coming back to this place.

If you're looking for a delightful dining experience in Cedar Rapids, look no further than Hwy 30 Diner. This charming spot is not just about the food; it's also about the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by its friendly staff. During my recent visit, I was pleasantly surprised by how personable and attentive everyone was, making me feel right at home. The diner has recently expanded to offer more space and even features a full bar!
This was great! I saw this as an empty old Hardee's for years and was happy to see someone open up a new restaurant. I suggested it to the family tonight and was very pleased. I got the Philly cheesesteak, others got the meatloaf entre, the Diner Burger, & the brisket basket. Everyone thought theirs tasted awesome. The Philly had great thinly sliced sauteed mushrooms, chopped red and Anaheim peppers, grilled onions. The meat was thin and perfect. Lots of food! Real cream for the coffee. Hilarious signs (look out for falling cows). Great classic 50s rock music. Very attentive, friendly staff Definite Diner winner.

The new location has a lot more room. They also now have a full bar. The food is good and plentiful. The highway fries are delicious sliced fried potatoes.

Highway 30 Diner is an absolute gem! The vibe is warm, welcoming, and perfect whether you’re stopping in solo or bringing a large party—there’s plenty of room and it feels just like home. The owner and staff go above and beyond to make you feel like family, which makes every visit extra special. They recently started serving gizzards, and let me tell you—they are hands down the most tender and flavorful gizzards in the world. If you’re a fan, you won’t find better anywhere else! Between the amazing food, the cozy atmosphere, and the wonderful people running it, Highway 30 Diner is a must-visit

Looking for a home cooked diner meal, earlier in the day I stopped and talked with a Cedar Rapids Police officer and he gave the recommendation to come here to eat! Paul greeted us as we approached from the parking lot and Brittany was very attentive to us. The food was amazing! Not your cookie cutter meals! The meat loaf was amazing as well as the hot turkey sandwich. Definitely going back again! Food and hospitality was great!
Donovan D — Google review
I have been to this location 3 times over the last several months with the same experience repeating. The food isn't bad, but nothing really stands out. The atmosphere is cool, 80s rock music and kind of a truck stop vibe. The problem lies with the staff. Everytime I come in I get all but ignored for regulars. This time I sat down and was ignored as 3 tables of regulars who came after me were attended to (2 got the their food before I was even asked about a drink). When someone finally noticed me, they said "oh. Are you good?" No... I needed a drink, and a menu to start. The rest of the visit was the same. Staff talked to and helped regulars while I was largely ignored. Will NOT be coming back. Strike 3.

Its not the same restaurant now that it has moved. It was a great breakfast place, now its just a bad bar that happens to serve breakfast. Foods alright, its edible I wouldnt call it good, it also was way better before. The service is average but its very apparent the owner has no consideration for the employees that put in effort, as for the service in the afternoon and dinner, terrible. Its really too bad, they had the best breakfast.
Joe S — Google review
Good burger and fantastic fries. Incredibly crispy and tasted fresh. Prices seem reasonable too. Wish they'd publish their menu on their website though, it seems it's still a little work-in-progress.
Brayden — Google review
Food was very flavorful and great portions. We ordered the pile up, eggs Benedict, chicken fried steak, gyro hash and pancakes. Hash was a little cold but tasted great. Pancakes were cooked perfectly. The ham with the Benedict was a little off tasting but otherwise great. Pile up tasted fresh and flavorful. The chicken friend steak was a favorite for all at the table. ***Does not follow any COVID guidelines*** Staff does not wear a mask & no social distancing for seating.

McDonald's is a timeless fast-food institution that has been delighting customers for years with its iconic burgers and crispy fries. Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting one of their locations, which was impressively managed and ran like a well-oiled machine. It was my first time trying their breakfast offerings in ages, and I must say they rival those from popular diners like Perkins or Denny's!
Best McDonald's I've ever been to. Manager runs things efficiently First time having breakfast items in decades. On par with Perkins or Denny's. Always cheap price and fills up the family 2 adults 4 kids $30

I put in an order for a fish meal large and two special mcdoubles and there were no napkins in the bag and customers aren't able to get their own napkins anymore. Also I asked for ranch with my order and didn't get that. I had a large fries and it really wasn't set as a large and it looked like fries that were reheated. I came for a night from Iowa City and this is what I get. I don't know if I will ever visit this location again!!

I ordered a Canadian bacon egg McMuffin and I got a sausage McMuffin. I didn’t even have an egg on it. Still waiting to get my money back.
Sophia S — Google review
Burritos is as long as my index finger. And when they asked me for sauces and I said yes, none were in the bag. The Mc griddle Also came with nothing on it, but sausage. McDonald's has gone downhill fast. It's crazy to think that you have to ask for eggs on your Mc griddle when you're ordering.

I went to McDonald’s last night on the way to practice and went through a very busy drive-thru. Having worked fast food before, I know how it goes, so I was patient. The guy taking my order was rude, but I brushed it off. I was told to pull up and wait, which I did since the kids were hungry. A young man brought out the wrong order 4 times but never asked what I was waiting for, even though some items were things I had ordered. Frustrated, I went inside. The same employee ignored me, so I asked for a refund. A girl with a bonnet rolled her eyes and walked off. Five minutes later, the manager came out and immediately asked, “Where’s the food?” I explained I’d been waiting 20 minutes and just wanted a refund. She snatched my card, refunded me without offering a receipt, and told me I couldn’t have one. When I said I needed it for a survey, she told me, “Too bad,” before I finally took it from her.
Emily G — Google review
I am absolutely blown away by the incompetence of seemingly every single person employed at this McDonald's. How is it a 20 minutes wait for 2 cheeseburgers and you still get it wrong? Why is the drive thru empty but no one is there to answer the machine? It is honestly impressive just how awful the complete experience is.
Dylan H — Google review
Pretty embarrassing. I ordered a meal with a double cheeseburger, got home, double cheeseburger missing. Okay it happens. I called about it and the guy who picked up was literally looking at my burger. I know because he told me. Drove back to pick it up and he just handed it to me loke like it was nothing. No attempt to make it right. I know Im one person and McDonald's doesn't need my business, but I can spend my money somewhere else if that's how they respond to customer service errors.
Charles T — Google review
Nope nope. Not here. They gave me a coffee drink and called it a latte. I tried it and it was not. I called them out in it and they proceeded to stick their hand in my car to grab it to throw away and make a new one. They came back and I swear they just shook it up. They used to be good

Chick-fil-A is a beloved fast-food chain renowned for its delicious chicken sandwiches and nuggets, complemented by a variety of salads and sides. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite or enjoying a meal with family, the experience is often enhanced by their attentive staff. Many patrons have shared delightful encounters where employees go above and beyond, like refilling drinks or remembering names—something you rarely find in fast food! From bustling locations to quieter spots, Chick-fil-A consistently delivers speedy service without compromising on quality.
In Branson, we ate at both locations. Excellent service and food. New found likes, pretzel cedar sandwich and cob salad. Wife loves the market salad. Way to go chick-fil-a!!!!!!! 6th

Went to Chick-fil-A when ordering was told they no longer were doing the Honey Pimento Chicken sandwich although there were 2 signs advertising it as you drove into the drive through. Then said alright will take a banana pudding shake advertisement was right next to me. No longer serving that yet sign advertising this was still up. It would be beneficial to remove signage when a promotional item is done.

I was on my way to work and stopped here. Worst decision ever. this location is by far the worst. I got in line at 9.12pm and got my food at 9.43. just 4 vehicles in front of me and two ladies working at this location were outside leaning toward a car and holding up the line chitchatting for almost 20mn. Slow service and they mess up orders frequently
Marie A — Google review
Well, I LIKE Chick-fil-A -- but I tried to go through the drive-through, and the child who was taking care of orders in my lane refused to let me order beside the menu board; she wanted me to move up to where there IS no menu board -- and she'd walk alongside me. I don't frequent fast food restaurants often, and definitely not often enough to have the menu memorized. She absolutely INSISTED that I drive forward, so I did -- right to a different restaurant, where I was allowed to read the menu. Ridiculous policy. Accommodate your customer, don't expect your customer to accommodate you.
Debbra — Google review
I took my son here after he got off the plane for lunch. And then we sat down to eat. It was nice that a worker came to refill his drink asked if we needed anything else, I don't think I've ever had that add a fast food place. So that was something that made me say hey if I'm up in Cedar Rapids I'll definitely go to this again. I do not see that they have fruit cup as a side to check to recommend. But I thought it was really good. I'm also really really glad it did not have honeydew melon, because I'm allergic to it period in most places do have that so I was so excited that I could actually get fruit that I could eat and it was very good

Food was good. Cassie was great. Took my order in drive through. I didn't get quite enough sauce so I went inside to request more. Cassie was inside behind the register by then, recognized me, and apologized. She even remembered my name. Those are the good ones!

Tic Toc is a vibrant American eatery that offers both indoor and outdoor dining options, perfect for late-night cravings. This family-friendly spot serves up a delightful array of dishes, from wraps and salads to hearty burgers and homestyle entrees. One standout feature is their impressive selection of appetizers; many patrons rave about the deliciousness of their offerings, including an unexpectedly fantastic French onion soup.
Great place to stop in for a beer and some food, the waitress was super nice and attentive even though she was manning the whole place by herself. Several tap beers as well as cans & bottles, tvs to catch a game, parking lot in back. Cheese logs were so good!

Went around 4 pm. Not much traffic and food came out fast. I ordered a Cajun chicken sandwich but it wasn't spicy at all but still good. I loved the tater tots!!!

What an interesting neighborhood bar. Let’s start with the service. Kohle, our bartender and waiter, did an incredible job to explain any questions we had with happy hour and the menu and offered suggestions. Was extremely attentive the entire time we were there. The food was pretty good. We got the chicken finger basket appetizer and split it. They are not house made tenders, frozen fare but cooked right and was plenty for a couple of light eaters to split for lunch or dinner. There was also the hot chicken sandwich, which looked spectacular. The Toc Toc Motz sticks are something else. They are super crunchy delicious hugeness. They are about the size of a stick of butter. A must try for any crunchy cheese fans. They also have a pretty nice breakfast menu Friday through Sunday. Didn't get a picture of the Motzerlla sticks. We kind of whoofed them down. Went back for some breakfast, very good. You should give them a try.
Mark J — Google review
Tic Toc seems like a quaint neighborhood bar and grill patronized by locals. It has a friendly open atmosphere. Old fashioned clocks are everywhere. Most of the people in my group loved the onion rings and tenderloin. There is a wide selection of hamburgers. I hear their breakfasts are great. And they have karaoke some evenings.
Al R — Google review
Went here with a large group during a game tournament. Seating was fast and comfortable despite having a big group, and the service was friendly and kept up with us well. I got the chicken parmesan sandwich, which was very good. Everyone else also enjoyed their food. Only down side is that they serve pop from cans, so only 1 free refill for those orders.
Jonathan C — Google review
Cons: I was slightly disappointed by my build-your-own shipwreck. They added the wrong cheese and wrong type of potatoes (shredded vs cubed) and I felt the portion size was too small for the $12-$14 price tag. Only other thing I wish they’d review or reconsider is their children’s menu. $6 for one pancake vs $8 for an entire meal. $3 feels like a more reasonable price tag for 1 kids pancake since usually the portion sizes are smaller for kids. Pros: Aside from that everything was great! Including the atmosphere and staff. My coffee was smooth and delicious and I was so happy to have a large cup of it. My sons pancake meal (not a kids meal) had blue berries and chocolate chips. The blue berries tasted fresh and didn’t feel frozen. The pancakes had an almost cake taste to them, maybe vanilla, sweet and delicious even without syrup. We’ll definitely be back and would absolutely recommend this place for breakfast.
Sarah S — Google review
Listen, I don't know where everyone else is eating, but these were some of the most legit appetizers I've had in the city. Even the French onion soup was excellent, and does anyone ever have a high expectation of soup? Hey, if an appetizer could be missing something to go with it, it's soup. If you have not been, then go, and order an appetizer. We didn't make it to entrees this time, but I'm sure I'll come back and find out!! Ask for boom boom sauce or whatever it is they put on the meatball. It goes with the onion rings and mozzarella sticks. Swear
Timothy R — Google review
Took almost an hour to get our food. Just 1 waitress and wasn't that busy. Waitress seemed a little frustrated which I don't blame her. Maybe they have a hard time getting help? If they had an extra server, the service probably would have been better. I didn't care for the food. Onion rings were either fried too long or the oil wasn't fresh. Rueban Sandwich was ok. The loaded fries were good though.

Tropical Smoothie Cafe is a vibrant and health-focused cafe chain that offers an array of custom smoothies, sandwiches, and wraps. This franchise stands out with its locally owned charm, where friendly staff create a welcoming atmosphere. Visitors often rave about the attentive service; one customer even shared how an employee went above and beyond to ensure their order was ready later in the day after a mix-up.
Amazing cafe. This is just like all the others, because after all it is a franchise. I love that this is locally owned, and I was even able to meet the owner. I had a random error on my transaction and he talked to me and checked to make sure it was all covered. The whole crew seemed super nice and sweet and social. Many cafes I go to I feel the workers aren’t as accommodating or talkative but this was refreshing. The cafe was really bright and large. Not to mention my food was delicious and I get this quesadilla every time! But this one was one of the best I have had by far and made really well.

I ordered the santa fe chicken and had it delivered. This is it. Just a bare toasted wrap with less meat than a single taco bell taco. No beans/no peppers just robbery. It's not worth the time to try anymore. There's a nice Mexican restaurant that will pour it on my plate for what is charged here. Look at this picture. This is what came I just opened it. Not believable. My wife and I ordered from you Jacqueline/Jackie.

I had ordered the Bahama Mama on the mobile app to go, figuring I would split it with my daughter before dropping her off at work. To our surprise it was completely frozen lol I called to inquire as to why it was frozen, and was told that because it's a sorbet it needs to be kept Frozen. The amazing manager offered to give me another one at no charge since I'd given my daughter the whole bowl (because we couldn't split it), and, she even thawed it out some for me :-) I absolutely highly recommend this place not only for their service but the bowl was phenomenal!!

Used to be my favorite spot for smoothies, lately I've been disappointed in the quality. Skimping on ingredients isn't good. The last smoothie i got was just orange juice and ice nothing else in it. No strawberries no pineapple... wasted $6. I guess I'll look around for a new smoothie spot for my granddaughter and I. The sunset smoothie is supposed to be red in color this is orange. Only drank half and tossed the rest, so disappointed.

Sage is the best! Very informative and attentive. Answers any questions I've had. Noticed she goes above and beyond checking dates on things and prepping and stocking items. Pretty sure that's manager work but takes the initiative and does it. Very positive attitude always smiling. Definitely a main reason why I stop in the place.

This was my first and last time at Tropical Smoothie. I ordered a green smoothie. I get these at any smoothie place I go to, they're my favorite. I also ordered a wrap. I paid and while I was waiting, I noticed that on the menu it says add a smoothie for a cheaper cost when ordering any food. I had ordered food, but she had charged me for the whole price on both. I didn't say anything. I was only about a $2 difference. Got my order, took one sip of the drink and couldn't help but make a horrible face. There was no way I was going to drink it, it was terrible. I walked back in and asked the girl.....What if I hate this? She said she could switch it out for another drink, but for full price. I laughed, threw the awful drink in the trash and walked out. When I got home, I ate the wrap which had NO flavor. What a waste of money. I wanted healthy, but you can still find healthy food with flavor. This place needs help. I will not be back. I like also how the Owner reached out to make it look online like he cared about the customer's experience. He asked if he could reach out, I said sure, they never did. Just goes to show they don't care at all.
Kristin N — Google review
Good smoothies and used to be good food. Today I waited 10 min for a Thai Chicken salad. Lots of people working and only the girls making smoothies were doing anything. Everyone else, including manager, were standing around talking. I was handed a bag with a small container of lettuce and a small container of the rest of the salad. Glad I was going home or no idea how I was expected to combine them. Chicken does not look fresh or appetizing.
Tara O — Google review
Place was practically empty, ordered 2 Bahama Mamas then had to wait over 25 minutes only to find out they could have told me there was an extremely long wait ahead. They never gave me the opportunity to decide if I wanted to wait that long or leave. They were extremely rude when I asked about it. Love the product, hated the so-called service.

I've been here a couple of times. It's quite clean and food is served fresh. I only take points away because on my last visit about a week or so ago; a gentleman with longish curly hair in a Chick-fil-A chef's jacket kept clearing his throat and spitting as he walked towards the restaurant. That left me feeling so disgusted after a delicious meal.

They wanted me to wait 10 minutes for my food and I said I couldn’t I would just like a refund or it comped. They told me they would but never did. When I called to get it fixed , they told me I had to come and get my food the next day. Caribou Coffee is a popular coffeehouse chain known for its wide range of signature beverages, such as mochas and lattes, as well as their delicious coffee and breakfast options. Customers have enjoyed their lunch experiences at this establishment, finding the food to be of higher quality compared to other popular chains like Tim Hortons or Dunkin'. The black coffee available here is particularly noteworthy, with customers praising its flavor. This spot is recommended for those seeking a quick bite to eat during the day.
Always friendly, quick service- but I never feel rushed. I appreciate that they take my phone number for the points system right at the start instead of trying to handle it at the window like other places (where it could be forgotten). I know I'm getting my points every time which I greatly appreciate. I tried the cinnamon sugar mocha- did not disappoint- and my tried-and-true sausage, egg, and cheddar biscuit. Both were delicious as expected and definitely helped me get some fuel in my belly on the go! Highly recommend this location and their products! :)

Always fabulous customer service and amazing coffee ☕ BUT I'm starting to come to the conclusion to not order food here anymore. Their coffees and service are always super fast and polite which is why we love coming here. However, the last two times I ordered the lumberjack sandwich it was still cold in the middle. They don't heat it long enough by far. Sad because my wife use to love their lumberjack sandwich but won't order it anymore now. I ordered the Maple waffle sandwich today and the top bun/piece of the waffle was ripped/torn into 3-4 different pieces. There is no way it wasn't noticed when they initially wrapped it. The nice lady handing it to me even had a bit of a sad/guilty look on her face handing it to me when I think back on it. Their food use to be so good and I hope this changes in the future. Food typically takes a little longer so it makes me think they prioritize their coffee speed/quality more anyway. They very well just might want coffee orders so it doesn't hold up the line. Either way, I'm not ordering food anymore here for awhile and wouldn't encourage anything else but their coffee. As always though, fantastic customer service, very polite, and great coffee!
