Grand Central Kitchen is a small, cozy restaurant located on Stephenson Street, opposite Grand Central Station. It's known for serving classic English breakfast dishes such as full English breakfast with bacon, sausages, omelette, tomato, mushroom, baked beans and toast. In addition to their breakfast menu, they also offer a variety of sandwiches, wraps and pizzas. Despite its small size, the venue has gained an excellent reputation for its mouth-watering breakfast options and warm atmosphere.
This is a great spot for classic cafe breakfasts. We had the Full English and the house omelette and both were super tasty. The restaurant itself is simple, the tables are quite close together but it runs like clockwork! Staff are super friendly and made us feel so welcome. Portions are generous, food is delicious and turnover is fast. A great experience!

Want great tasting food, no fuss and brilliant service… then this second to none cafe is unmissable!! It would be a mistake to stay in your hotel and not venture out to this flavoursome location!! The service is rapid! Food is served hot!! But the coffee… wow!! The regular flat white is a full cup of coffee… and better tasting than your chain coffee houses!!
Charlie M — Google review
I'd give 6 stars if possible. I was seated quickly, served without fuss, my food exceeded expectations and was reasonably priced. Great coffee as well. There's no reason to go to a chain breakfast place in Birmingham over this place, in my opinion. Support independents!
Dominic I — Google review
Really enjoyed this cosy little cafe. Right behind the station which is so handy and convenient. It was also conveniently located beside the metro station. There was a queue on the Saturday morning, so beware but the queue moves quickly. Staff are extremely friendly and accommodating and are more particularly friendly to wheelchair users. Would highly recommend this cafe for the staff alone!

Straight after getting off the train at Birmingham New Street yesterday, I popped into Grand Central Kitchen for some breakfast. Gotta say, I’d never had eggs and cheese like that before – absolutely delicious! The staff were so friendly too. Special shout-out to the Iranian girl who was lovely, and the bloke (can’t remember his name!) who recommended some spots for me to check out in Digbeth. Loads of cool places to explore, so thank you both for the tips! To be honest, I was a bit knackered when I came in and probably could’ve done with a nap right there and then. If I hadn’t been so tired, I’d have been even more buzzing about it all, haha. Anyway, cracking little spot – I’ll definitely swing by again next time I’m in Birmingham. Matee, I'm minging. Bloody love yaouw' 🤣

Very nice place to have a breakfast and brunch, warm atmosphere and friendly staffs. The food is also delicous.

Grand Central Kitchen in Birmingham was a bit of a mixed bag, landing squarely at a 3 out of 5 experience for us. It’s a fantastic location, right in the heart of the city with all the buzz of the station, making it a perfect spot for a pre-train coffee or a casual bite. The interior has a great, modern vibe that feels both stylish and welcoming. We were really impressed with the coffee, which was absolutely top-notch—rich, flavourful, and clearly made with care and quality beans. It’s the kind of drink that would easily draw you back on its own merit. The food menu is appealing and our choices were tasty and well-presented when they finally arrived. However, the service was unfortunately where things stumbled. While the staff were perfectly pleasant and apologetic, the wait for both our order to be taken and for our coffee to arrive was significantly longer than it should have been. The restaurant wasn’t at full capacity, which made the delays all the more noticeable. It didn’t ruin our visit, but it did take the shine off what should have been a quick and efficient stop. Ultimately, Grand Central Kitchen has a lot of potential. The core product is excellent, but they need to find a way to streamline their operational flow. We’d pop in again for that excellent coffee, but only if we weren’t in a particular hurry.

We tried the English breakfast (served until late in the afternoon) and it was really tasty and copious. Affordable too, I recommend it.

Located in Birmingham City Centre, Damascena is a local chain with multiple locations across the city. It offers a warm and traditional environment where visitors can enjoy Turkish coffee, Middle Eastern cuisine, and delectable pastries. The breakfast menu features classic avocado and egg dishes as well as unique options like the Juz-Muz, a flavorful scrambled egg dish served with chillies and tomatoes.
A great spot to catch up with friends, grab a bite, have a meeting, or work. I visited last month for work meetings and was very satisfied with the food. Service can be a bit slow, and we often had to seek out a server or request attention. Our table also wasn’t cleared, so we ended up stacking dishes and glasses to make space. Highlights for me were the wraps, mannish, iced teas, and the Oreo milkshake -all excellent!
Z R — Google review
The atmosphere at Damascena is truly amazing — such a pleasant and welcoming vibe. Special thanks to Bardia, who is extremely helpful and supportive, always guiding with food choices — I can’t say enough about how great the service is. The food is delicious and very diverse; I’ve tried different wraps, sandwiches, and shawarmas, and really enjoyed them all. Sometimes the dishes are a bit too spicy for my taste, but overall the variety and quality are excellent. The place itself is lovely, the only downside is that the parking space is quite limited.
Bahareh M — Google review
Beautiful locals in the center of town. You maybe lucky to find parking locally, but there's motorcycling parking right next to it. We were seated quickly with and the atmosphere is lovely inside and out. On good days there is seating outside. There's lots of drinks and food options which was a nice surprise. The menu has a fair number of vegetarian options available. Food arrived quickly and was nicer than I expected. It's a nice place to come to sadly the staff really need a moral boost. I understand it can get busy but a friendly demeanor would make the place that much more welcoming. All in all I'd be looking to pop by again. ENJOY.

As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the warm smells of their chai spices. We were looking for a late night hot drink and Damascena was the perfect place for a karak chai. Whilst enjoying our delicious hot drinks, we had a look at their food menu and knew we had to come back. The next morning, we feasted on their manakeesh and fuul that reminded us of our warm homes. Compliments to chef and the very kind staff. We will definitely return to our local, far-away coffee house on our next visit to Birmingham.

What a unique place to have dinner! Spiced Chai Latte was absolutely amazing, salad was fresh, tahini kofta and pickled veggies were very flavourful. I also tried three different pastries, all of them were very lovely. As coming from the country where there are no Middle Eastern restaurants, I’ve really enjoyed the experience and will definitely come back once I’m in the UK.
Eglė K — Google review
Cosy and friendly. Staff banter was 10/10, main menu had good selection and really tasty. Ginger, lemon and honey tea would recommend. Baklava was not to our personal taste but enjoyable still (my friend prefers it sweeter).

I don’t know usually leave reviews but this place was phenomenal. From the Food to the Hospitality, everything was perfect. I came during lunch hour so it was quite busy, but was seated quite rapidly, the waiters were working efficiently and calmly despite lunch rush. I allowed the Waiter (Umar) to give me a recommendation of the house special, and it was one of the greatest meals I’ve had in a while. The cost was appropriate for the location and atmosphere. Umar did an amazing job taking care of us despite the restaurant being busy, he was highly respectful and attentive towards us and is clearly a phenomenal worker. Will be visiting soon again.

The Service was fantastic for a Saturday evening without booking to seat 7 of us at short notice, and the quality of the food was fantastic halloumi fries 10/10 multiple flavours of shakes all deliciously indulgent. If your in the area please do try, you won't regret it 😉 Many thanks guys 10/10 "will visit again"

Yorks Cafe & Coffee Roasters is a trendy urban spot in Birmingham known for its rustic charm and carefully sourced homemade breakfast, hot lunches, and cakes. The cafe features exposed brick walls, industrial pipes, and comfortable stool seating around a large wooden bar. They roast their own coffee beans in-house and offer standout brunch items like poached eggs with cumin butter on toast, lamb kofta breakfast tagine, and Chicago honey fried chicken on a cornbread muffin.
Lovely spot for a hot drink or a quick bite. We visited on Saturday morning for a light breakfast. Their sourdough with a choice of spreads was tasty - we each got to try a combo of spreads with our sourdough (peanut butter & Jam and peanut butter and honey. Items and reasonably priced. We were lucky to get a table quickly and staff were friendly and attentive. It does get very busy here as it is a small establishment.
Harini B — Google review
It's a great new cafe in Stephenson Street, overlooking the council house. The cafe was busy when we walked in, but they did manage to find a table for the two of us. The interior has the current trend of unfinished ceilings, where the air conditioning and electrical ductwork are exposed. We had a friendly & helpful waitress who engaged with us. The meals were lovely and tasty. My only criticism is that my meal wasn't that hot, but it didn't spoil the experience
Malcolm H — Google review
Came for brunch on a Sunday. As a walk-in, our group of 3 only had to wait 10 minutes for a table. This place has a nice atmosphere and we weren’t rushed at all throughout our meal or after. The menu is interesting with interesting spins on some breakfast foods. There was some flexibility with some of the dishes, for example picking the type of egg for the house breakfast. Recommend this place for brunch, especially if you are looking for a place centrally located, near New Street station.
Nina P — Google review
Due to being a frequent travel through Birmingham, i have always been wanting to see what Yorks Cafe was offering (I only wanted something to drink since i had a huge breakfast). I was greeted with a wonderful server who asked if i had any special requests or allergies, before coming around to take my order. The atmosphere was a nice vintage look inside. Personally I do love that style of environment. Moving on, they have a large variety of food and drinks and i tried one of their special lattes which had turmeric, cinnamon and ginger. The taste was unique and i had nothing like it before. It definitely refreshed my pallet. Overall, i am very pleased with the coffee and the staff and will definitely have to revisit within the near future. Thank you so much for your service.

I was in Birmingham for a City break with a friend and we discover York’s on google when we arrived at the Train station. Last Sunday we were starving after our journey coming from London so we decided to have a brunch. The cafe was very busy but we didn’t have to wait long to get a table, we ordered a Yorks House Breakfast which was so delicious, Fried chicken & French Toast with a beautiful sauce on the side and the Masala fries which were very tasty. Staff was really lovely and friendly. Also great coffee selection and perfect atmosphere for a Café. We went back again for more coffee and Avocado smashed and Feta cheeses on Toast, so yummy! Probably one of my favourite cafes ever!
Vito M — Google review
Great venue, but get there early to avoid queues. Service was good, and I like that they take payment when you order so you can just get up and go when done. Food was good, but would not say as amazing as it looked, but that could just be my taste. The presentation was fantastic how ever! The only reason to drop one star was the coffee was not hot enough, again just my taste, but I could have finished it before my food arrived, ask for it extra hot. Well worth a visit.
Alyn A — Google review
Great food! Coffee was a bit cold to my liking - lesson for next time to ask for extra hot 😊 we ordered Turkish eggs & Arabian eggs, the dishes were flawless and the Greek yogurt was very well seasoned . Poached eggs were perfect as well as the bread was amazingly soft. Decor was quite rustic, could be improved especially with just one toilet. Although a good place in the city centre.
Lavanya P — Google review
Popped in for brunch, after getting off the train at New Street Station. Great atmosphere of people working and just meeting up. A wide range of ages in there which I think says a lot about the quality of a place. That everyone is welcome and feels comfortable, whether young or more mature. The food was very good and the staff were welcoming and friendly .

Bakery
Coffee shop
Located on New Street and in the Mailbox, as well as in Wolverhampton, Medicine Bakery is a unique artisan bakery-cafe-gallery that offers an authentic and unusual selection of breads and cakes. The bakery also serves as a social space by hosting independent markets and exhibitions. With its vibrant mix of musical genres, Medicine Bakery has expanded from being a swanky bar in Digbeth to become a master of all things coffee and cake.
Oh my gosh. What a find. It’s not cheap, but that’s reflected in the location, venue, presentation of food and taste. And goodness, everything was delicious! We were a party of 6; our order consisted of the Medicine and various French toasts. The only gripe is the fried chicken from one plate to another varied quite a bit in size. We don’t know whether one was more generous, or we were short changed on the other? A bit of consistency here wouldn’t go amiss. Other than that, a perfect way to start a Sunday morning. They also allowed dogs too! Service was timely, the venue was beautiful with lots of plants, and everyone of us enjoyed our meal. Can’t wait to come back. Well done!
Kat S — Google review
I’m sad to report that this was a distinctly underwhelming experience. My daughter and I decided to pop in for an afternoon drink and a pastry. We normally go to EL&N, however their recent food hygiene rating has put us off, so we thought we’d try somewhere new. Firstly, the general ambience is rather grubby and downmarket: the tables were tacky, the singular a toilet an afterthought and everywhere looked like it needed a good scrub. We had to wait for a table (no problem), however it was almost impossible to catch anyone’s eye, so the whole process was unclear. When we were seated, we were given some rather tired and shabby menus which immediately adhered themselves to the surface of the table. Not to be deterred, we made our choice from the limited selection of pastries and cakes available. I chose the passionfruit cruffin which had seen better days and was still dripping in cooking fat. It was far from the light and delicate laminated pastries that I have tried at artisan bakeries and I felt rather let down. We noticed that the general atmosphere was unfriendly, I suspect that this was partly due to the staff’s fantastic ability to avoid eye contact at all times. Even my daughter noted that she had not seen a single member of waiting staff actually smile during the entirety of our visit. Needless to say, we won’t be returning.
Kate B — Google review
TLDR: I’d only recommend this place if you’re getting a pastry from the front. Long wait times (45+ mins) + no cooling system = not a great place to dine in. Came here twice and had very different experiences. When a friend and I grabbed a pastry from the front, we were served and seated right away, even moving to a booth when requested. The atmosphere was great and the interior is very aesthetic and appealing for social media. No complaints here. When I came alone a few months later to order brunch, I had a 2/5 experience. First, it took around 5-10 minutes to be seated with no acknowledgment of the long wait time, even with several moments of eye contact with staff who didn’t seem very rushed, though this can be overlooked. Second, I waited over 45 minutes for my food (not a guess or overestimate) without acknowledgment of any sort. There was a period of around 15 minutes where nothing came out of the kitchen (I had a direct view of where the food exited). During this wait time, it was increasingly apparent how uncomfortable the space was. There was no AC and the building has no windows to open. The only cooling system was a single fan, and with the many skylights, the restaurant felt like a greenhouse. Literally outside the restaurant was cooler than inside and that’s not an exaggeration. The food itself was alright. I ordered the harissa benedict and the only qualm I have with it was that the eggs were almost hard boiled and not runny at all. There was a lot of chorizo on it and the mushrooms were great, however I don’t think I’d pay £14 for it again.
Canice H — Google review
A lovely brunch, but nothing special. We ordered the granola bowl, some toast and some bakes to take home. The sourdough was lovely (although the jam alongside is just a jar, not homemade), and the bowls were okay, albeit quite lacking on the fruit. The bakes we took home were really disappointing. The biscoff cruffin had no biscoff 😅 and the chocolate chip cookie was completely tasteless. The setting itself was lovely, a great spot to meet for a coffee.
Alexandra B — Google review
I love medicine bakery so I was chuffed to find it open on new street just a walk away from the office! Lunch was delicious! I was excited to have my usual fried chicken but they ran out!!??? Shockkkkk! But hey I got to try something new and went for Turkish eggs! Delicious and very healthy. Lovely space and atmosphere! There are individual tables and sharing tables so make a note of what you want on your booking if you’re fussy!

Been a few times and usually really enjoy, bit of a shame the food wasn't as good today. I had the vegan brunch with an added poached egg which was more water than egg. My partner had the regular brunch, both of our hash browns felt a bit undercooked. But drinks were lovely and we've been before for pastries which were delicious!

Outstanding food. Simply outstanding. Great service. Lovely decor and a huge roof terrace on a baking hot day only slightly ruined by external factors of looking at building when it’s more deserving of looking over lakes, rivers or countryside.

I recently visited a charming coffee bar in Birmingham and was blown away by its unique, classic design. The ambiance is cozy, with soft lighting and tasteful decor that makes you feel right at home. The music is perfectly curated, adding a relaxing vibe to the whole experience. Plus, the frappes are absolutely delicious and definitely worth a try. Overall, a wonderful spot for coffee lovers

Popped in as we were passing, stayed for 3 hours. What a vibe, what a great friendly place, the atmosphere was top notch. Music was varied, Saturday was BANDEOKE - a kind of live band/karaoke night and outside too. ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT TIME - highly recommend, did not eat though the food did look good

Great building with superb outdoor area to drink. Didn’t eat so didn’t rate the food. The service was nice and efficient. They did have Jubel peach lager which I love and also wild turkey. Unfortunately I was there during the afternoon so lacked atmosphere. But looks like it would be better in the evenings and weekend. But would recommend to all for a lovely drink.

The best sunday weve had in a while. A few weeks ago, I organised over instagram with TBF a group of 23 of us for sunday Roasts. They were able to assist me booking and sent over a pre-order link, all we had to do was turn up. We had our own section by the kitchen and we couldn't fault a thing. Every one of us loved the food and the atmosphere, I think our main server was Joe and he was brilliant. Attention to detail with the allergies, no notes were missed off the pre-booking form, we were all also able to pay individually at the bar. (Family friends were from Ireland so had to do it that way due to their online banking). Our mains were already being started within an hour of us being there so we all ate in very good time (worked amazingly well for the kids!) meaning we had a good couple of hours to socialise with our friends before getting the last train home at 5.30. Ive been here a few times before but our friends hadn't and they said it was the best end to their weekend with us, cant thank you enough and I'll definitely be back with the other half for a more chilled 1-1 roast next time 😂💖

The Ivy Temple Row offers a sophisticated dining experience with a mix of brasserie classics and Asian-inspired dishes. The restaurant overlooks St Phillip's Cathedral and features luxurious decor, including bird-themed printed wallpaper, golden light fixtures, and rich burnt orange booths. Guests can enjoy the 19.
Super Restaurant truly lives up to its name! The Ivy is a class!!! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm smiles and the comforting aroma of freshly brewed coffee. The menu offers a perfect balance of classic brunch favorites and creative twists -perfectly poached eggs, and Salomon Avocado toast that’s as photogenic as it is delicious. The service is quick and friendly, and the staff especially Sylvia beautiful polish lady go out of her way to make us feel welcome. The ambiance strikes a great balance between cozy and modern, little posh, making it ideal for weekend catch-ups.
Marlena W — Google review
I travelled from Leicester to try The Ivy after hearing so much about it, but it didn’t quite meet my expectations. The place looks great, but the service felt rushed, our mains came out quickly after starters, which made it hard to relax and catch up with my friend. There wasn’t much variety on the menu, and while the food was decent and the drinks were okay, nothing really stood out. Staff were polite, but not as polished as I’d expected. Overall, a nice spot, but not quite a five-star experience.
REENA K — Google review
As ever the Ivy maintains its most fantastic ambience and classy service. Our food was absolutely amazing! Presentation, colour and taste was just perfect! Compliments to both the chefs and the front of house staff for their most professional and skilled efforts. I must comment on the wine mark up! We ordered a bottle of Chablis with our meal which, although a nice accompaniment, was charged at around £76. This wine can be purchased in most wine outlets for around £23! Based on how amazing the food was, I personally would rather pay more for my food than feel mugged by an overly inflated wine menu! That said, if you fancy feeling like the most special people on the planet for a cpl of hours, the staff (all of them from the front door and back) have it absolutely nailed! Thank you so very much everyone especially Klaudia. 👌😁
Andy B — Google review
Excellent service, food and environment! We both decided for the little known Summer at the Ivy set menu - excellent value for money with a glass of champagne included. My crispy duck salad was excellent, as was my minute steak. The deserts were both great, but the white chocolate vanilla cheesecake with mango sorbet was the best. Would recommend the visit - although with some remarks: the Sunday roast, which cost almost the same as the 3-course menu, looked sad and overcooked. Other menu items also seemed exorbitant expensive. Drinks have London prices (a 330ml beer costs £6.5). Is it worth going? Yes. Are the prices on the menu consonant with the experience? Not sure, unless you know what to chose.

Always decent food and great service. Perfect for almost any occasion. They don’t allow decorations for celebratory events, so just bear that in mind if you’re planning something special.

I have to say the food was disappointing. I wanted to order the soufflé which wasn’t available so we took the waiters suggestion of their Asian salad which had the tender stem broccoli and salad was fine overall. However I would expect them to offer another starter as my main also had the same tender stem broccoli! My husband ordered the avocado dip which hardly had any avocado at all. It tasted more like a coconut/ yogurt based dip very similar to a dosa chutney! His main dish was an overcooked chicken. The only saviour was the creme brulee which was absolutely flawless. The staff were polite and the decor was beautiful. I had heard very good things about the restaurant and had high expectations but sadly won’t be going back due to the basic faults in the food especially given the price!

A lovley restaurant with nice decor and great location. We really enjoyed our starters and desserts (the duck salad and the cheese souffle were both incredible!) however our main course meals were average in comparison and not of the quality we would expect for the price paid. We've had better at cheap pubs. The birthday dessert was a lovely surprise and tasted great although i wish there had been some mention of it before we ordered desserts ourselves as quite a bit of it ended up going to waste as we couldn't manage it on top of the 3 courses we'd already eaten, this is a high quality problem of course :) but i hate to see things going to waste! Service was good overall, we appreciated the call a few days before to talk through the food allergies mentioned on our booking, and in general experienced good service with friendly welcoming staff although it was difficult to get staff attention to order more drinks when our glasses were empty, the cocktails were however delicious. Overall, we enjoyed the experience but probably wouldn't return as feel its quite overpriced for the standard of food/service we received and there is room for a little improvement overall on the offering here.

Dishoom Birmingham is located in a picturesque spot with outdoor tables facing the Town Hall, Chamberlain Memorial fountain, and the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery. The restaurant offers delicious Indian fare from morning naans to evening 'Ruby Murrays'. It is part of a national chain that started in 2010 and has become an iconic name with locations across the UK.
Visited midday in the middle of the week. Quieter as expected, really good ambience and the tables were distant for privacy. It was really comfortable. Food was served hot, quickly and no fuss. Menu is easy to understand, the server made a great effort in explaining and recommending various items on the menu. Every dish was flavourful. Good portion sizes, with great vegetarian selections as well. Dishoom is consistent in its standard throughout all its restaurants in England, and never fails to impress on every visit.

My first time here and certainly wont be my last. From the moment we entered we couldn't fault the service, we were given a lovely table with plenty of room. Our server Joni could not have been more helpful explaining the menu and certain dishes what goes with what etc. she could not do enough to help. The food was amazing and so well cooked, fragrant and tasty. The dessert recommended by Joni was to die for absolutely gorgeous

Indian food at it's best in my opinion. Was given the Dishoom book for a gift and have made so many dishes, so we just had to try the restaurant. The staff were amazing, efficient and knowledgeable, recommending and helping us choose by describing everything. Food intolerances were easily catered for. Food was typically glorious. Atmosphere was vibrant, busy and great to see it so busy. Definitely recommended.

World renowned Dishoom is loved by all. Hence I was so pleasantly surprised when I realised they opened a branch in Birmingham and that too at an amazing location with the views of the Birmingham Council square. We booked a table of four for lunch on the auspicious day of Rakhi and meet up with my sister. At the entrance the place was heaving with a bit of queue. The two ladies who were Hosting had a pleasant surprise and I told them that I have a reservation and was promptly brought to a round table. I would have preferred a corner table or a sofa table as it was in the middle of the gangway. It was quite busy for the afternoon. I was asked if I wanted to order and I told the lovely waiter that i am waiting for my sister. Once we were settled we ordered our meals and drinks. My meal of Chole Bhature was amazing but my sisters could have been better. Drinks and food came on time. Toilets were clean and easy to find. One of the waiters who served us was outstanding with service, smiling and happy and ready to help even when it was so busy. Will visit again.

Five Stars for Ryan at Dishoom Birmingham! We had lunch at Dishoom Birmingham yesterday and were absolutely blown away by the service — especially from our server, Ryan. From the moment we sat down, he made us feel genuinely welcome and looked after us with such warmth and attention. The food, as always, was outstanding — but it was Ryan’s thoughtful service and great energy that made our visit truly memorable. Thank you, Ryan, for making our lunch so lovely — we’ll definitely be asking for you next time we come! 💫

I went to Dishoom yesterday and we had a 50 minute wait time before we got our table since we were a walkin. Initially I thought it’s going to be really boring but from the moment we were seated there, it was a really captivating and nostalgic atmosphere being from Bombay myself. The concept behind the Irani Cafe has been brought to life and everyone working there has a certain type of enthusiasm that keep the place so lively. A special shoutout to Rohan for serving us yesterday evening and give us a spectacular evening to enjoy. It was truly evening to talk to him and we were elated to see the kind of service that was offered to us. Lastly, another special shoutout to all the chefs for serving the best food period. Definitely took me back to Bombay and now I know a place that will definitely give the taste of back home!

Went to Dishoom Birmingham for my birthday last week. The experience was great. The staff were so lovely. Shoutout to our waiter Szymon, he was really nice! Ordered 5 dishes to share which was the right amount of food for two of us. Had the chicken tikka, gunpowder potatoes, paneer curry, rice, and veggie samosas. I highly recommend the paneer curry, 10/10. Also lovely cocktails! The atmosphere was great for a Monday evening, always busy. But not too loud that you cannot hear yourself speaking. Staff were accommodating and they gave me a free desert with a candle for my birthday. This was a great little touch which I really appreciated. Will be going back again and definitely recommend to anyone who loves Indian food.

The menu features bottomless Bellinis and Bloody Marys, along with delectable dishes such as tomato bruschetta, crispy sticky beef salad, and rigatoni arrabiata. Indulge in sweet treats like fudge brownies and Eaton mess for dessert.
Service was a bit slow because there was a wedding party in last Friday but on previous visits no problem. Nice relaxing place well situated for other eateries and pubs. £15.00 for a standard, nothing fancy Gin & Tonic though, c'mon that's well pricier than other venues glad I don't drink it 😀

I stayed at Saint Pauls House for 4 nights and really enjoyed it. The location is really nice, along a charming square and it has comfortable rooms. The breakfast menu is excellent (loved the granola!). The staff is very friendly and helpful, making you feel at home. Some nights, there is noise from outside, from the bar downstairs or people at the square, but generally not too late and no worse than you would expect at a city square like this. If you are a light sleeper or sleep with the window open, bring earplugs and it is fine. Otherwise very llittle noise from inside the hotel and other rooms, even though it is an old building and there is a restaurant downstairs. I would definitely stay here again on a next visit.

Our party had a long wait for drinks (40 mins) upon arrival for a 90 min bottomless brunch and things were very tense... I raised the issue to the assistant manager and within minutes things were happening. They allowed us to order double drinks and added an hr to the brunch! (Which we didn't honour) This might be frowned upon by the actual manger however as i am a prolific reviewer this was a genius move because I will rate this experience a 5 star rating. The service was excellent and food fantastic 👌 Well done to the lady assistant manager last Saturday 👏

**⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing Experience at St Paul's House – Thank You, Victor & The Piano Man!** We had the most wonderful time at St Paul's House last Saturday! A huge thank you to **Victor**, who was so kind and made our visit extra special by giving my young daughter free fruit – such a sweet and thoughtful gesture that truly brightened her day. And let’s not forget the **incredible piano man** who played between **2pm and 4pm** – he was absolutely amazing! The music created such a lovely, relaxing atmosphere, and my little one was completely mesmerized. St Paul's House is clearly a place that cares about its guests, offering not just great food and service but also those little touches of warmth that make all the difference. We’ll definitely be back! **Highly recommend** – thank you again, Victor and the team! 👏🎶🍏

High 3 at that but a few things didn’t help. The windows being thin let a lot of noise in from the bar of the hotel and neighbouring bars on the same block. The windows also had a large crack. The room was spacious and the bathroom was nice. However, the main rooms decor was quite uninspired and tired. Also the bed and pillows were quite firm affecting sleep. The location was very nice situated just outside the heart of the city and within a nice block with plenty of attractive bars, coffee shops and the like very nearby. Definitely worth considering for a trip but it depends on what you want/expect from your stay, if you’re expecting an early night maybe weigh up your options

Came to the restaurant for dinner tonight, and all the dishes tasted good. My mother really likes their chili sauce and wants to buy a bottle to take away, at first the waiter said initially said it doesn't for sell to the public, but after paying the bill, the warmhearted manager BOGDAN directly gave us a bottle and no charge for it! Really appreciated for his enthusiastic and generous service!

Won’t be back, we were seated at the back of the restaurant, to be greeted with a sticky table and filthy glasses on the table…. Then we asked for a substitute for one of the items on a breakfast, as didn’t want mushrooms, to be told ‘No’! Food was ok, my ginger beer didn’t have much flavour. There’s a lot of choice for places to eat in Birmingham, this place needs to do better, in my view.

Went to this restaurant because I signed up for StoriBoard. It’s a platform that connects strangers together and you meet new people for the first time in a restaurant, interesting experience. So Bill’s, in terms of the food I’ve definitely had way better food. The atmosphere is chilled and calm and the crowd is decent too. I ordered the Sea Bass dish with Couscous, because I wanted a healthy option. If I ever visit there again, I’d try something else but I wasn’t the only one in the group that had something negative to say about the food tbh. Decent food but like I said I’ve had way better food dining in Bull Ring. The Pomegranate drink was okay.

This place automatically adds on a 12.5% tip to your bill and the only way to remove it is to ask a member of staff. Tips are supposed to be earned, not something a customer is strong-armed into. Also, the eggs benedict has something spicy added on top which is NOT mentioned on the menu so be warned.

Breakfast in brum 🥞☀️☕️ Good morning sun trap with a nice breakfast to follow could of been a 5 but maybe we didn’t make the right choices off the menu, biscoff pancakes was a sweet sensation but the chorizo dish was a bit confused lots going on but never really gelled needed a better dipping sauce for the flatbread. cappuccino was good but the coconut matcha wasn’t great but definitely could taste the 🥥 overall would recommend 🍽️

I visited Bill’s this morning for breakfast and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. The restaurant has such a refined and stylish atmosphere – bright, welcoming, and with that touch of elegance that makes it feel special even early in the day. The breakfast itself was superb. Everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. The ingredients were clearly of excellent quality, and the flavours really stood out – a perfect balance of hearty and refined. It’s rare to find a breakfast that feels this thoughtfully prepared. The service was exceptional. The team were friendly, attentive, and efficient throughout, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. A particular mention must go to Adrian, who provided outstanding service. He was professional, warm, and went out of his way to ensure everything was just right, which made the visit all the more memorable. Overall, Bill’s delivered a breakfast that was both luxurious and inviting. I would highly recommend it for anyone looking to start their day with excellent food, a lovely atmosphere, and service that genuinely stands out.

A little hidden gem over on the other side of the city centre. Massive portion size (loved it!) and delish. Favourite parts are the gravy and the cheese sauce. Visited Comptoir Libanais yesterday for lunch. It was packed so you definitely should book a table. We shared a mezze of vegan dishes. Falafels which were crispy but light and fluffy inside and perfectly spiced. Hommos silky smooth served with warm flatbread. Batata harra, amazing roast potatoes, crispy, slightly spiced with a kick of chilli. Tabbouleh, so tasty and zesty. Fattoush, a gorgeous salad with mint and crispy pitta bread and finally a garlic and Za'atar flatbread, if you have not tried Za'atar you should, it's a wonderful mix of herbs and it was a taste sensation. We had drinks and it cost around £25 each and we were not hungry when we left. Service was great, very attentive but not pestering. My only critism was there was only one vegan dessert on offer, vanilla ice cream so we did not bother. We would definitely return and highly recommend. Great for vegans, vegetarians and meat eaters.

I recently visited this restaurant and ordered the platter for two, priced at £27 plus service charge. Unfortunately, I didn’t find it to be good value for money. For the price, the portion size and overall quality fell short of expectations. While the presentation was fine, the quantity and balance of dishes didn’t feel generous enough to justify the cost, especially once the service charge was added. This might work better as a light sharing option, but as a main meal for two, it left us disappointed. A more substantial offering or fairer pricing would make the experience much more worthwhile. In the picture the platter for two (there were two pitas not captured).

The food couldn't be faulted. Lovely heartwarming dishes with great flavour, the taste was so fresh, really lovely. The only thing I would say is that the atmosphere was strange, there was no music, we were one of 5 tables in a small place but it was so quiet and as people left we felt so awkward just having a conversation. Even with 5 tables there was no buzzing chit chat it just felt so cold and hostile, which is such a shame for a place with good food in a stunning location. There were great vegan options available which was also a win! I would recommend this place for the food 100%.

I lowered my score from 5 to 2 because of the service in the hope they address this and I'll put it back to 5 Great selection of healthy and traditional breakfast food. Coffee is superb and reall butter on the fresh bread. I wish I'd found the place years ago

Very disappointing... super slow and nonchalant service; cappuccino really not acceptable. Posh name - doesn't live up to it!! I will not return.

Latte was such poor quality it was undrinkable. Staff were not friendly

It's okay. For the price, could have done with another, local sausage instead of the cheap one supplied. A few more beans and some nice local slice. Bacon was excellent. A pepper grinder and a teaspoon with the drink would have been good. Mocha didn't taste of much, either coffee nor chocolate. Did good gluten free toast.

Went here last weekend around 1pm. We asked if food was being served on arrival and they said yes, then after our coffees we tried to order and were told quite bluntly “no”. Another table near us had the same thing said to them, yet the two tables that arrived after us ordered and received food off the menu. Shame too, it was my first time there after wanting to go for so long, and the garden is absolutely lovely.

I used to love this place, we visited today after about a year or so and if I'm completely honest I dont think we will return. The food on the menu sounds amazing but when it comes out it's not worth what you pay in my opinion. My sons sausages were quite burnt, we took the skin off for him to eat, my chorizo salad was tasteless and had hardly any peppers or onions and seemed to be mostly lettuce, I paid £9 for this. My partner had an omelette which used to be our favourite there, he said it was tasteless. My son had a small toddler size cup of apple juice for £2 something. Its not the Leverton & Halls I used to love. Tables were sticky and we waited ages to pay the bill. I understand why as the lady seemed very busy on her own. We had to leave to be somewhere so couldn't really be waiting for replacement meals so paid and left, it seemed like she was busy so didn't make a fuss, quite disappointed if I'm honest.

Had visited this place few years ago when there was a deli in the front of the cafe. Was surprised to find it had expanded the cafe no deli here now. We had breakfast very quick and efficient, food was tasty coffee was good. Only downside was table and bench seat was fixed, was quite a squeeze to get in to sit. And parking is very limited. But overall a pleasant morning.

Saint Kitchen is a family-owned daytime spot located on the south-eastern edge of St Pauls Square in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter. Formerly known as Saint Caffe, it has evolved into a charming cafe under new ownership. The owner, Will, who is also a chef, has combined excellent coffee with delectable homemade baked goods and an eclectic brunch menu that draws inspiration from various cuisines around the world.
I have been coming to Saint Kitchen for over 3 years and this is my space space. My partner and I come here on a Sunday morning, I bring my friends when they come to stay, and I come on my own whenever I have the time. It sounds cheesy but this place is honestly like a warm hug to me. The staff are lovely, the food is absolutely delicious, and the coffee is the best in Birmingham. It’s right next to Saint Paul’s Square which is one of the prettiest spots in Birmingham. You can never get bored of the food because they are always changing up the menu. You know it’s fresh as well because you can see the chefs making it in front of you. I rarely write reviews but am writing this one because this place is just amazing. I love Saint Kitchen so so much ♥️

Saints Kitchen’s food and service just makes me happy. The food is so delicious and nicely presented and the service is always friendly and efficient. My favourite place in Birmingham for a delicious brunch. The menu changes which means there is always something new to try though sometimes I feel sad because the dish I fell in love with previously is no longer available 😄. The sourdough bread is lovely and the hash brown fries currently on the menu is magical in my humble opinion. I also love the 50% dark/50% milk chocolate mocha. Hope the photos do the food justice. I have shared photos from two different visits so the menu was different.

Absolute gem of a place. Lovely location, food is just fantastic, the staff are always friendly. One of my favorite places in town. It also without doubt serves the best coffee. The coffee is something else. Most Saturday mornings in the winter me and my wife visit and have a couple of hours wondering around st pauls and a bite to eat here. Love it

Discovered this place while living in the Jewelery Quarter a few years ago and loved it. Came back today with my fiancé hoping to share a special breakfast. We were not disappointed.I had the avocado on toast with a side of delicious bacon which was good. My other half however chose the pancakes with custard buttercream, peanut butter fudge l, candied peanuts and salted caramel and I had instant food envy. The coffee was spot on and the service was excellent. Definitely a place to check out if you’re in Brum.

On an unfeasibly hot day, we were cheerfully welcomed by the wonderful staff, and sat down for the most incredible salt beef sandwiches with hash brown fries. Fluffy bread, beautifully seasoned fries and tasty fillings. Definitely seek this place out if you're in Birmingham

Felt the warm sense of welcome as soon as we walked in the entrance, being happily greeted by a member of staff. Excellent service. Homemade Chai Latte made my wife very happy. Generous helping of butter, not in a foil packet on the sourdough toast. WONDERFUL strawberry, lime and mint jam.

Wonderful place for a coffee some food and a catch up, not too loud. Gluten free options are amazing, all prepared I'm a separate part of the kitchen! The menu is mainly different types of sandwiches and they've got some delightful and rather bougie hashbrowns too. Everything on the menu can be gluten free. My only constructive criticism is that I wish they did an English breakfast, they've got the bacon, eggs, bread and hash browns on the menu, they could just add beans, ideally a sausage and they'd have it really

Nice spot right in St pauls square. Service is always great and really friendly. Small but nice menu. Food was very nice, I had pan con tomate, with burrata. Ice coffee was fine, small and not enough ice so it was not very cold and what ice there was melted very quickly making it watery. Good value, would go again.

Wayland’s Yard Coffee & Brunch is a popular spot in Birmingham, conveniently located on Bull Street. It's known for its speciality coffee and delicious homemade bakery items. The cafe embraces a contemporary, minimal aesthetic and offers classic hot drinks as well as some nice beer options. They also serve a variety of food including cooked breakfast with meat or vegetarian options. The venue has undergone subtle changes over the years, but it remains a great place to stop for coffee or lunch while exploring the city.
This was such a fab find for brunch on our recent visit to Birmingham. It didn't look much from the outside but inside it's all cool, industrial vibes. Staff are really helpful and you can order at the counter or via the app. The coffee was great and the brunch menu is vast. I enjoyed the fried crumpets but my husband chose the hashbrown benedict and it was ah-mazing! Prices were fair and it's dog friendly too!
Samantha C — Google review
We stumbled across this breakfast place and it was a good find. Entered to a sign where you can grab menus and grab any seat. Still welcomed by someone who advised us we could order at the table or the till. Great choices on the menu and easy to order from the app. We decided to order at the till as I wanted scrambled eggs which were not on the menu. This was adapted to the dish for an extra £1.50. We ordered 2 hash brown stacks, bacon and vegetarian options. Hash browns were slightly salty but probably be perfect for hangover hunger! Both dishes were cooked well, good sizes and great flavour. It was nice to have a different dish for breakfast, especially with spinach and feta. We had an orange juice and an iced latte. Totalling our bill just under £30 which we felt was more than worth it for the food portions, quality and drinks. The atmosphere felt relaxed but many people in with the sound of conversations in the air, the staff were super friendly and accommodating.
Mena L — Google review
Lovely little spot to pop in for a light lunch or brunch. We decided to go for brunch and on reflection that was probably a worse choice than the breakfasts or sandwiches but good nonetheless. Next time I'd go for a fry up instead of the fritters, which I did like but wasn't particularly filling. You order on the app or up at the desk, but when there's a queue the app proves much quicker. I liked how there were photos on the app, that was really helpful. Only one toilet, and it's accessible which is good, but might be a problem if someone was having an emergency and it is occupied. A semi industrial look so the place is fairly echoey, and no cushioning on the bench, so if you bring your grandma get her to sit on the chair! Watch out for the drinks and cakes, the prices seem a little high, but then I don't come into the city often so they could also be typical! Too much fat in the cookies for my personal taste but I know some people love them crispier too.

What a cracking find, bank holiday brunch! Really hit the spot- great menu, super delicious butchers brekkie and pancakes! They are serious about coffee- super slick kit, and expertly made. Top marks all round. Try it, you won’t be disappointed…

The breakfast was delicious. However, the order arrived with green garnish on it, even though I had requested that nothing be added to the eggs — no green onions or any green toppings. After informing them about the issue, they corrected the order, and when it came back, it was excellent and well-prepared. They were very cooperative. The tea was wonderful.

Great tasting breakfast. Had the smashed avo toast with poached eggs. Tasted really fresh and delicious. Portion was slightly on the small side for the price unfortunately.

Visited here last Sunday, with our dog. We had checked in advance, that they were a dog friendly cafe. As soon as we sat down, one of the staff brought our dog a bowl of water and a saucer with some dog treats 😍 . There's a QRcode on the table, scan this and you can place your food and drinks order, and pay. Drinks were brought swiftly, along with cutlery. We ordered 2 of the halloumi salad and 2 of the miso pork salad. All were lovely and flavourful, and a decent size.

This charming neighborhood café prides itself on using seasonal ingredients to craft delightful dishes, catering to breakfast, lunch, and even evening pop-ups. With an impressive array of vegan options—including plant-based milks for your coffee and delectable vegan cakes—there's something for everyone.
I stopped in here randomly whilst walking this morning! Great decision, the staff are so attentive, friendly and create a welcoming atmosphere. The food is delicious, high quality and very reasonably priced! Would highly recommend this place to anyone!

Banana bread is a must try! Hash browns are also good if you bring kids along with you. They have a bunch of freshly made sweet treats with vegan options too (cakes, cookies, pastries). Overall nice vibe but can get quite crowded at peak hours.

Super cosy! Nice vibe and atmosphere! Friendly staff, and awesome food. The banana bread was INCREDIBLE - like heavenly! I've never had a brunch option like this anywhere else, ever before. Immediately recommended it to someone I know! Would be lush to see a couple more vegan options than there were. Eager to come back!

Absolutely delicious food , cosy vibes and a great independent run restaurant in Stirchley. The food menu is great with unique combination of flavours. Kimchi hash browns are the best hash browns I have ever eaten. The restaurant gets very busy during the peak hours.

Maybe the best brunch in Birmingham. Cute café with vinyls playing & kitchen you can see. The team are so lovely & friendly, it's a really welcoming and relaxed vibes. There's plenty of space in two sections & there's garden seating that gets lots of sun! I got the house beans with fried eggs, Parmesan, jalapeno relish, hash browns AND toast, and added halloumi. The flavours were fantastic, oozy, spicy, saucy goodness, and the salt from the halloumi added a nice touch. Bread is gorgeous and the hash browns are exceptional, I could eat those all day. The portions are generous so come hungry! If you want an incredible brunch or breakfast with an excellent soundtrack, come with an appetite & enjoy!

Gorgeous food and drinks not a huge food menu but what’s there is absolutely worth it plus there’s a specials board too. No wait for a table, short queue due to the time we came in but service was fast. Friend and I both enjoyed and would recommend

Very very busy cafe, you may need to queue but it won't be long and it's worth it. The menu is interesting. I chose a DIY option - kimchi cheesy hush brown, 7-minute egg and smoked bacon. Both the food and coffee was super tasty. The price is reasonable. Will definitely try the cake next time as they look so delicious! Recommend.

Lovely looking little coffee shop, but the service is a farce. Wasn’t particularly busy but waited 30 minutes for the most basic of drinks (a tea and latte) and they had clearly been sitting for a while given the temperature and how stewed the tea was. Feels like work is needed on the basics.
Megan H — Google review

Been here in the evenings when it’s serving tapas so thought I would give the place a late breakfast. Really good quality produce used, ciabatta bread really nice. Good section of refrigerated drinks. And the white chocolate and raspberry cookie was out of this world.
Rickie — Google review
My wife and I recently stayed the night at the old crown pub for the night they don’t serve breakfast so we called in at the kanteen. The cafe was clean and friendly but the menu was very surreal I mean who wants martini on a breakfast menu ? Rather than a traditional breakfast there is harissa beans and chicken waffles . Really bizarre and not for us two breakfasts and two hot drinks in the custard factory is just to much at £30 💰. As we got closer to the railway station there were lots of cafes that offered much better value and I would suggest you do the same , sorry not for us 👎🏻 One star review is based on the price which was just too much for what was offered and a menu which needs to be more of a traditional one .

This charming eatery offers an array of authentic dishes, from mezze plates and grilled meats to hearty salads and freshly baked breads, all while celebrating halal cuisine. The menu also features a selection of alcohol-free beverages, including refreshing smoothies and herbal teas.
We came here for brunch before the gig and wow what a great soothing place. Lovely airy atmosphere with a great menu. We both went for a fresh juice mine was the energise one with kiwi , apple and spinach, and a matcha latte. For food we both chose the French toast with ice cream and berry compote. When everything arrived it tasted fresh and perfect. We spied other plates going out and they too looked flawless. If I had the room I would have also ordered one of their stunning cinnamon buns too. Overall highly recommended this place for breakfast/brunch .

Update Mid October Went for the sunday roast and the beef brisket and lamb were both moorishly good. Each main comes with veg and potatoes. The side dish of mashed potatos ordered was lovely and creamy. The mains were so good we all want to go back. Loved the gravy. The cauliflower cheese side dish wasn't very cheesy or something we'd get again but everything else was soooooo good. Loved the ginger brownie. Brunch (first visit) Staff are lovely providing ace service and the atmosphere relaxing. Decor has a nice vibe to it. Food was nice I was just expecting more flavour, didn't finish thinking ooh I want this again. However I do want to go back to try the sunday roast. Everything is halal. Mint tea was lovely and fresh. Layout is great for anyone with mobility difficulties.

I visited Lovelife for brunch on Saturday and absolute loved it from the second I walked in! The internet first of all is super pretty and refreshing, I especially loved the bow details on the chairs and even took pictures!! For the food I ordered the salt beef cubano, which was really delicious but I did wish it could have a little more sauce (a personal preference!). My friends also really enjoyed their dishes, like the full breakfast and the avocado toast. Everyone serving us was super friendly and welcoming, like the lady who took our order and told us we could ask for drinks not on the menu and Fatima who served us our food and told us how it was all freshly made that morning! Will definitely be back for more!! Thank you for a lovely meal and ice cream!

We ordered the French toast topped with raspberry jam and pistachios, served with ice cream, as well as a shakshuka with poached eggs. Both dishes were tasty. One suggestion for the restaurant would be to check for any allergies, as this wasn’t addressed during our visit. Overall, it was a great experience.

Café Lovelife – Fresh Mediterranean Flavours in the Heart of Digbeth Café Lovelife is one of Birmingham’s best spots for fresh, flavourful Mediterranean-inspired food. Every dish feels thoughtfully made — from the halloumi breakfast and lamb kofta to the vibrant mezze plates and patatas bravas, everything is packed with taste and beautifully presented. The ingredients are clearly fresh, and you can tell there’s real care in the cooking. The desserts are a must-try too — the tiramisu and date & tahini cinnamon roll are crowd favourites. Portion sizes are generous, and there are great vegetarian and vegan options as well. It can get busy during weekends, so booking or arriving early helps. Overall, it’s a warm, stylish café with amazing food that truly captures the relaxed Mediterranean vibe — definitely one of Digbeth’s dining gems.

Steak house
Gaucho Birmingham is a restaurant in England that offers a diverse range of cuisine options, including various international influences such as Latin American, Italian, and Japanese. Despite being known for its steak, the restaurant also celebrates events like pancake day with unique pancake recipes created by their head chefs. Additionally, Gaucho welcomes dogs in their UK restaurants during specific hours, allowing patrons to enjoy Argentinian steaks accompanied by their furry companions.
My girlfriend brought me here for my birthday and I couldn’t have been more happier. The service was brilliant, as soon as we walked in, they took care of straight away. They showed us the different types of steak and recommended us, telling us the background of Argentina explaining how they get their steaks and it was very interesting as I’m a steak lover. The food was 10/10, it was brilliant filled with different flavours and cooked to perfection. I’ve never had a steak as good as gauchos, the atmosphere was authentic and aesthetic, it just makes it so much better. The manager George was great along side his colleague Raphael were brilliant during the evening, they took care of us and made my birthday dinner special. Will definitely be back and highly recommend to everyone and steak lovers. Great work!

Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm welcome that instantly set the tone for the evening. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel like valued guests. The food was exceptional, every bite was cooked to perfection. The steak was one of the best I've ever had, tender, juicy, and full of flavour, the sides and starter was just as impressive. The atmosphere in the restaurant was spot-on, very relaxed, stylish, and ideal for a night out. You can tell a lot of thought has gone into creating a place where people feel comfortable and well looked after. Highly recommend this place to any steak lover (or food lover in general). I’ll definitely be coming back😊 🥩

The weekday lunch menu is an incredibly good deal for the quality and service at Gaucho. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the allergens on each menu item, and was accommodating of the dietary requirements in our group. Wide selection of wines, which again the waiter was able to talk us through in detail.

Fabulous steak, as you might imagine. Equally the starters were freshly prepared and delicious. My tuna tartare melted in the mouth, although I would have preferred less of the dressing applied to it. My only complaint is that the wine list starts at £40 per bottle for a very average Argentinian malbec

I just happened to be walking past Gaucho and I only went in because of the lunch set menu sign outside. It was a Wednesday lunch time, so the place was quiet. Adriano looked after me very well. The prawn chicharron starter was very nice. The steak was lovely and the chips were ok. The rum-based pecan old fashioned was very nice.

The venue features a skating rink, colorful tents, and an electric atmosphere perfect for gathering with friends. We went to the 90s outdoor summer festival and it was really great! I hadn't appreciated how big the venue was and how many different things were happening at once until I was in. The drinks were expensive, but it was worth it. Amazing venue, amazing vibe, what a day!

Went for a bottomless brunch, the live band was good! The food was decent nothing special, I'd say you'd go for the band and drinks more than the food. The cocktail were nice, a bit of a shame they ran out of prosecco. The staff were lovely and polite managed really well with how busy it was which is fantastic!

Been here a few times now and this is the worst one I've been...Invited a few friends and for some it was their first time. Not a very good experience for them and me. The DJ was brilliant but as soon as the tributes (I say that loosely) came on then it went downhill...Bryan Adams was alright although it was advertised as coming on at 5pm and came on at 4pm! Then it was advertised to be Wham...followed by Madonna and Duran Duran...then system 80s....So when wham came on it was part of system 80s! I said to my friends that this looks like it's going to be system 80s doing all the so called tributes and so it was....extremely disappointed with this...and I'm afraid to me they didn't sound the best at all...Same time last year here I saw 6 or 7 different tributes and it was brilliant day...Its a shame coz it's a great place and the vibe is tremendous...but when ur paying £20+ and £7.50 a pint thinking ur going to see a few artists and end up seeing 1 isn't good. It wouldn't have been as bad if anyone could of let us know if the tributes couldn't perform. But in my opinion it was definitely miss sold...Hopefully next time we will see separate tributes and if not we will get told and maybe a reason why. All I can do is apologise to me friends for a awful experience. Let's hope lunar springs and magic disco do the same.

What a venue! Great in summer as mainly outdoors. Went here for a private party with lots of vendors selling food and live music. The. Went for a Back to 80's day gig and that was awesome. Then went back to a back to 90's 12hr rave and that always just amazing. Like a mini fest with road closed and clubs across the road playing different genres. Can't wait for the next party/rave!! Bring it on.

Been in several times over the last few weeks for a late lunch/early dinner. We've always made use of the lunch value meals, they call it lunch but the offer runs until 6pm on weekdays. For £5 the meals are amazing, a wide range, well cooked and well presented. All of the staff we've encountered have been really friendly and helpful. Thank you so much, glad we tried you out last month 😁

Had a vibrant vegan tomato soup that I enjoyed very much. My main however, the green Thai curry, was flavourless and disappointing. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was quiet and cozy.

Best carvery I've had in a while! Great selection of veg and other sides such as Mac and Cheese and potato gratin. The meat was cooked lovely and plenty of it! Yorkshire puddings were straight out of the oven and sooo good! As a table of 5, we all had the carvery and were all impressed. Also had desserts and they were really good. We had caramel apple Betty, chocolate brownie and kids sundae. Couple of things for improvement. There was a big queue at the bar to order food and drinks. The furniture could do with a refresh. Will definitely be returning for our next carvery.

Located next to the Premier Inn hotel. Food was really nice and didn't take long to prepare. The hotel was located in a great location (in my opinion). Right next to the Canal which provided a pleasant walk. The were a few other options for food within easy walking distance. The room was as expected.

Had a really lovely birthday dinner here, the starter of wings, burger main and brownie dessert were delicious! but the real gift was the service delivered by MVP Mel!!!!! She went above and beyond to cater to us, including gifting myself a Brewers Fayre gift token and a candle to blow out in my dessert, could not fault her amazing customer service. Highly recommend.

Really lovely food at Beefeater this evening. We are visiting from Cornwall and found the staff very friendly and the food was delicious. Sarah and Alan were absolutely lovely and looked after us really well. The food was delicious and there was very minimal wait time. Thanks guys ☺️

Had an amazing meal here for my 23rd birthday!! Steaks cooked by Ed and Kelly were delicious, and the front of house staff (Sarah and Natalie waitressing, and Morgan on bar) were attentive and so lovely to us all! Nancy who was managing even provided us with a free bottle of Prosecco due to it being my birthday! Was an amazing evening and will definitely be back for another meal 🥰

Staying at The Premier Inn situated in Wolverhampton North I had evening dinner at The Beefeater. I had a meal deal paid for by my company. I paid £4 extra to have the rib eye steak. I ordered it medium rare and it came perfectly cooked. A big thank you to The Beefeater staff who looked after me. Definitely worth visiting if you are staying at The Premier Inn.

Very very very very bland food . Very basic finish with no wow factor. Fish was like something from Iceland and peas were dry . Definitely not a place to recommend. The service was great from the gentleman servers . Front of house girl was very cold in her approach with not welcoming smile . All in all I would not recommend if you enjoy good food . Pricey for what you get . Sorry guys you need to improve especially on the food .

Just been with my family of 8 spent £90+ with a 40% off mains voucher and honestly not sure if that was the reasons our food was small but we ended up in McDonald's straight after the portion sizes are ridiculous for the prices. staff were okay but the food is bland and very over priced nothing you couldn't get in a wetherspoons won't be visiting again.

I thoroughly enjoyed our visit last night for my birthday. Sharan our waitress was so lovely went out of her way for us. To be honest all the staff were. So polite and helpful it made our visit even more special. The food was beautiful cooked to perfection. It's really nice to visit somewhere where the team actually enjoy being there and it really showed with your team. Thank you for making my evening so enjoyable and thank you for my birthday card and gift. We will definitely be back.

We stayed at the local premier inn so this is where we ate. Place was warm and inviting plus the staff were polite and friendly. We were served by a young lady called Sam, very professional and knowledgeable. My wife has allergies so we were shown the folder related to this. Food was excellent, my wife enjoyed the steak and ale pie, I enjoyed the fish and chips. For afters we had a excellent apple and blackberry crumble with custard which was very tasty and refreshing. Would certainly return if down this way again.

The Blue Piano is a charming family-owned guest house located in an old Edwardian building in Edgbaston. This off-the-beaten-track gem offers 10 individually designed guest rooms, a Southeast Asian restaurant serving dishes from Singapore, Cambodia, and Malaysia, and a popular live-music bar with a blue piano as its centerpiece. The venue hosts diverse live music performances every Friday night and features a small garden for guests to enjoy.
An Unforgettable Night of Jazz at The Blue Piano – Friday, 21st March 2025 I had the absolute pleasure of visiting The Blue Piano in Edgbaston, and what an evening it was! I made the trip especially to see the incredibly talented Dr Stephen Tromans perform, and he did not disappoint. From the moment he and the other musicians took the stage, the energy in the room was electric. The music was nothing short of breathtaking—rich, soulful, and deeply moving. I found myself listening with my eyes closed, heart open, completely lost in the magic unfolding before me. Stephen Tromans plays with such passion and skill; his connection to the music is something truly special. I was absolutely blown away. The atmosphere at The Blue Piano only enhanced the experience. It’s an intimate and vibrant venue, perfect for live jazz. The warmth of the crowd, the outstanding musicianship, and the sheer beauty of the music made it an evening to remember. The venue’s commitment to showcasing top-quality jazz acts really sets it apart, making it a must-visit for any jazz lover. I travelled quite a distance just to see Stephen Tromans perform, and I’d do it again in a heartbeat. His presence brought something truly special to the venue, and it was clear I wasn’t the only one who felt that way. I really hope The Blue Piano books him again soon—he and the other musicians created an unforgettable experience, and I know many would love the chance to experience it again. If you love live jazz in a welcoming and atmospheric setting, The Blue Piano is the place to be. I can’t wait to return for another fantastic evening of music!

We went to see a band outside, and half an hour prior, the heavens opened and it poured down with rain. The staff were absolutely brilliant, they couldn't do enough to help, wiping tables and chairs making sure everyone was as comfortable as possible, even supplying blankets towards the end of the night. Really great service 👏 👍 👌

I don't know where to start...I can only presume that any positive reviews or ratings of these premises must be based on the restaurant rather than the rooms. Everything in this room was filthy. There was evidence of vermin, cockroach traps under the bed, broken sink, torn curtains, the windows do not shut. Smashed windows seen on the outside of the building. The only evidence that this was the same property as the one advertised on the website was the blue piano in the entrance. No staff available after 9pm. Absolutely no way is this a 3 star property. Avoid!

Hotel review: We couldn't really enjoy our room as there was an event going on at the restaurant and gardens, with loud music directly outside single glazed windows it was very loud. Luckily it ended just before midnight so we could sleep, although since we'd had to keep the windows closed it was extremely warm. The rooms are ok but could have been cleaned in more detail, there was a spider web under the windowsill with several dead spiders in it.

Review of the food as takeaway. Shocking. The beef rendang is lightyears away from even an average version. It's a weird slow cooked BBQ beef.

The Medicine Kitchen and Bakery is a bakery in which the best donuts that have ever been eaten by nearly forty years of life were taken out. The selection of cakes and sourdough bread was beautiful to behold, and the only regret is not buying more.
We visited on a Sunday morning, the place was very busy and we had to wait a very, very long time, but was worth the wait. Food is very well presented, with big portions and tested incredible. I don't know about prices as someone else paid it. The Bakery section is one of the best around. Can't wait to go back!

I booked a table the day before for brunch. We both had a vegan medicine, which consisted of falafel, a hash brown, sourdough bread with a sauce. I didn't have the avocado and mushroom on mine. It was all nice, they gave me two slices of sourdough, which was too much for me to eat. Definitely would go again, but probably during the lunch time rush. The cakes are lovely I brought a blueberry donut. I shared it with my husband.

Great customer service at the Medicine bakery in Codsall. It was a lovely atmosphere to dine in and beautiful delicious food. Staff asked how we were and if we wanted any more drinks. The breakfast options are different to standard cafés, the options are great and our children thoroughly enjoyed eating at the Medicine bakery too. Felt brilliant to finally find a great place to eat and dine in.

Visited here Sunday 11th May 2025 for Brunch/Lunch . Not my first visit and certainly won't be my last 👌🏼 We had booked before which turned out was a wise idea as place was extremely busy . It's not hard to see why this place is so popular, the food is top notch. Bit of a downside was the 25/30+ minute wait we had for our food, but when it does arrive it certainly is worth the wait as everything is freshly cooked and not kept warm under heater or reheated in micro. Even left their with a couple of slices homemade rocky road cake 👌🏼 Think most of their cakes and bread are all made by themselves which is another good reason to visit . If your looking for a nice, freshly cooked breakfast/brunch/lunch this has to be worth a visit 💯🌟

First visit for a while and the food and drink was great. I also like the fact tables were ready with menus. Only reason for not giving five stars is that they started sweeping up and cleaning at 3.30 (when it doesn't close until 5). They were sweeping dirt through the restaurant- not a nice end to our visit considering it was still mid afternoon
David W — Google review
The staff at the Codsall branch acts like they are doing you a favour being there. Things like walking past you whilst waiting to be seated a whole 7 times before acknowledging your presence. When you finally get seated expect to wait and wave for over 10 minutes before someone comes to get your drink order. All for this on at 11 am on a Sunday with the restaurant not even 3/4 full and at least 3 staff members on the floor, and another 2 behind the bar. (Aside from the kitchen staff that you could clearly see doing her job on the other side, so not a case of understaffed/overbooked place, but just disinterested staff). The Food is usually nice but nothing worth putting up with such bad service!

In 2013, Cafephilia opened its doors in Moseley, a suburb of Birmingham. While other cafes were thriving in the city centre, Cafephilia became a neighborhood institution. Known for its good coffee and tea, as well as delicious food that is served until late evening. The cafe has a cozy atmosphere with a sunny front area and a more relaxed seating section at the back that features comfortable sofas and soft lighting. It has gained popularity among locals for serving excellent coffee and cakes.
I have been coming here for a month as I work in the area. This coffee shop has a lovely atmosphere, great music choice and amazing coffee. Couldn’t ask for anything better. The staff began recognising me and knew my order right away. They always ask me how I’m doing and want to know what’s going on. Such a lovely coffee shop, I will definitely be coming back here more. Haven’t had food here but have seen the plates of other peoples food and looks really good. 10/10 customer service, 10/10 coffee, and 10/10 coffee shop overall. I love this place.

I'm a regular at Cafephilia, and it's hands down one of my favorite spots in town. Every time I come in, Will takes incredible care of me — he's not only welcoming but also consistently goes above and beyond. The food he makes is always amazing, and he often adds his own special touches that aren't even on the menu, which makes each visit feel unique and personalized. I usually come here to study, and the environment is perfect for that — cozy, calm, and friendly. It genuinely feels like a second home. If you're looking for a place with great food, a warm atmosphere, and people who really care, Cafephilia is it.

This is my favourite place but today it was very cold, so I couldn't stay very long. (Also a bit too noisy, but the place is small, so it's difficult to control the acoustics, I understand) The food selection is great and they're always very friendly and since I regularly ask for ingredient combinations which are not on the menu, they're always happy to do it. Also I love the big corner windows - when it's sunny this is the best/only place where you get so much sun coming through to the inside. Overall - my favourite place to have a drink or a bite, and work on my laptop in Moseley and King's Heath!

I visited this cafe today for the first time with my husband and daughter. We thought the place was fabulous , the food and coffee were delicious and the service was great, I really recommend popping in, you won’t be disappointed. My daughter is looking to move to the area so we got chatting to the owner, who was absolutely lovely and he and his friend gave us some really useful advice. Overall a really enjoyable experience, one of the best independent cafes I’ve been to.

The chicken sandwich here is really nice! Other food selection looks good too. Need to try some milkshakes. Their opening hours are long, which is useful. Music sometimes played a lil loud and limited seating quite close together. Nice local place.

Me and a couple of friends stopped in at Cafephilia over the weekend and had such a great experience! William was such a great server - friendly and accommodating and going above and beyond to take care of us, for example bringing us little samples of one of the milkshakes to try (which was seriously delicious). I haven't had such good service in a long time, and that wasn't the only good part as the food was also delicious! I had the nachos and both the salsa and the guac tasted homemade. This is now my new favourite cafe in Moseley - I highly recommend stopping in!

I cannot fault this place.. The food is amazing; hot, big portions, reasonably priced and the ladies more than happily adjusted to the needs of a picky person. The customer service is flawlessly delivered with smiles. The toilets were spotlessly clean, kitted out for disabled and fully equipped for parents with babies and children with a huge area for nappy changing, a potty, soft changing matt etc. I am so impressed with the service, facilities and food!

I had an excellent experience at Coffee Tales. The scrambled eggs on white sourdough with Cumberland sausage and back bacon were cooked perfectly, and the French toast with brioche topped with cinnamon, powdered sugar, strawberries, and blueberries was amazing. I also ordered fried eggs with bacon, which were delicious. Service was outstanding—though they said food might take 30 minutes, it only took about 10, and the drinks came out very quickly too. The staff were professional, friendly, and welcoming. The place itself is clean, quiet, and comfortable. Highly recommend!

Pleasant staff, when we ordered they made us aware of the 20 minutes wait for food, poached egg on toast and a full English was worth the wait. Delicious and freshly made. Reasonably priced, extra charge for ketchup. Could be cleaner, ketchup or something similar was on our tea pot lid and something had been spilt over the laminated number we were given.

Located in Birmingham, 200 Degrees Coffee Shop & Barista School offers a unique and ever-changing menu in a cozy setting with dim lighting and exposed brickwork. The shop is known for its flavor-driven sandwiches, Insta-friendly latte art, and house blends roasted at their Nottingham HQ. They also host a guest bean each week and offer a Barista School where aspiring baristas can learn the tricks of the trade.
Been twice now to this location and found it to be my new favourite place in Birmingham. Really nicely decorated, clean (as a carer for someone with a low immune system im quite tough to please on this subject.) the vegan selection is lovely and the cinnamon bun was stunning. My first visit I went with a friend for tea and a catch up, my second visit I sat and read my book over a pot of tea. Being able to order to the table is brilliant as I could get settled and not worry about leaving my things to order. Toilets upstairs and downstairs, accessible and clean. Staff are friendly. A real gem of Birmingham.

I visited 200 Degrees Coffee Shop in Birmingham on the 8th of February 2025. As there was a social meet up via the Meetup app. But other than that I would not come here that freely, as explained below The staff at 200 Degrees Coffee were friendly and helpful. As well as the service was good. Other important notes, this place does not accept cash/coin payments, only via card. So if you’re a O.G who would like to pay by cash/coins, I would not recommend this cafe to you. Also to note this place is not a dog free place (unfortunately). So if you were to value hygiene above all else this place is not for you. So as a person who is a sceptic of dog culture in general I would not see myself coming back to this coffee shop. To the dog nutters who maybe reading this review, if you like potential dog faeces/dog urine across the floor of this cafe, bumping into dogs or getting too close to dogs (near to immoral purposes?) this place is for you!

200 Degrees Coffee in Birmingham is a true standout, offering an exceptional coffee experience that goes far beyond your average chain cafe. From the moment you walk in, the aroma of freshly roasted beans is incredible, a perfect hint of the quality to come. The space itself is cozy and inviting, with a rustic, stylish feel that makes it a perfect spot to relax or get some work done. The coffee is, without a doubt, the star of the show. Their baristas are incredibly skilled, serving up perfectly brewed espresso drinks and pour-overs with a clear passion for their craft. I've never had a bad coffee here; every cup is consistently excellent. They also have a fantastic selection of food, including delicious sandwiches and cakes that pair beautifully with their drinks. What really makes 200 Degrees special is the staff. They are always friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely happy to help you find the perfect drink. It's clear they take pride in what they do, and that makes the whole experience so much more enjoyable. It's my go-to spot in the city for a quality coffee and a great atmosphere.

Nice coffee shop in Colmor Row. Staff were friendly & helpful. We ordered our 2 coffees & then given an order number for the table. The interior is a combination of open brick work, soft lighting, and wooden accents, which sets itself apart from other coffee shops. We waited for a couple of minutes & our coffees we're brought to the table. Nice informal atmosphere where you can meet up with friends or do some work quietly on a laptop.

This 5 stars is for Ana ⭐ I was honestly about to give 1 star because of the coffee I first got from another staff member. I asked for my drink to be made extra hot since I was freezing, but the person on the till rolled her eyes and said she’d already noted it. When my drink came, it was barely warm. I asked if they could reheat it, but they said no since I’d already sipped it. Then Ana stepped in and said she will make me a new coffee, properly hot, and told me you're the customer you're paying for your drink you can customise however you want to if it's not good enough ask them to make again. What's the point of coming to cafe when you're not satisfied enough 😅 Honestly, she’s so right. I really appreciated how gracefully she handled everything.

The food is amazing just a bit expensive I bought a pulled pork, a lemonade and 2 salted caramel brownies and a pastel de... and came out to a total of £25-32. I’ve been a loyal customer at this cafe for a year and I always come with my family. I even have a membership and visit often because I really liked this place. But sadly, I had another disappointing experience. This is the second time this has happened. I came with my whole family and my little brother, who is 5 years old, had his own food because he can’t eat anything else. He was the only one with food from outside the rest of the family were going to order from the cafe as usual. Unfortunately, the staff didn’t allow us to stay because of my little brother’s food. They were not helpful at all and didn’t even try to understand the situation. I felt really unwelcome and disappointed because I’ve supported this cafe for a whole year and always recommended it to others. But after this, I won’t come back again. I hope they change this policy for kids with special food needs, but for me, I won’t visit this place anymore.

I travel from Nottingham to Birmingham every week for work, and I always make sure to stop by my favourite coffee shop. Hands down the best coffee in Birmingham consistently excellent, with new beans to try from around the world. Great value for money and some seriously tasty sweet treats too. Josh is always keen to explain how each coffee is best served, which makes the experience even better. An absolute must try! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I was drawn in by the lovely smell of coffee when I walked past. I just about found a table for two of us as it was quite a busy time. Service was generally good. I had a flat white which is usually my standard coffee shop order, and it was decent. Lots of lovely looking cakes and pastries but I wasn't hungry so didn't try them.

I've been here lots and have never been disappointed. This is the best coffee I have tried in Brum. I usually just snack here and find a great selection to chose from. If you are a coffee snob you will be fine here. ☕ It helps that the staff are very pleasant and helpful too.

What a coffee (espresso)! Absolutey great and they well explained what to expect on the tasting side. All this done by really friendly and kind staff. And on top of it an awesome almond croissant! What do you need more to start your day!

I recently discovered this charming little café tucked away on a quiet side street, and it has quickly become my go-to spot for a perfect afternoon escape. From the moment I walked in, the cozy ambiance enveloped me—soft lighting, rustic wooden tables, and the irresistible aroma of freshly brewed coffee and baked goods wafting through the air. The menu is a delightful mix of classic and innovative options. I opted for their signature avocado toast on sourdough, topped with poached eggs and a sprinkle of chili flakes, paired with a velvety latte made from locally roasted beans. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced—the bread was crispy yet tender, and the coffee was rich without being overpowering. The pastries, especially the flaky croissants, are baked in-house daily and melt in your mouth. What truly sets this place apart is the exceptional service. The staff are warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do—they even recommended a seasonal special that exceeded my expectations. It's clear they take pride in creating a welcoming experience for every guest. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite, working remotely with their reliable Wi-Fi, or lingering over brunch with friends, this café nails it every time. Affordable prices, high-quality ingredients, and a vibe that's equal parts relaxing and invigorating—five stars without hesitation! I'll be back soon

A lovely little cafe with good coffee and sweet treats to accompany. Looks like they're made on site. No toilets but there are free ones across the road in the station. Also do some sofas for those who don't want to caffeinate.

From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with warm smiles and an inviting ambiance that instantly made me feel at home. The decor is a perfect blend of cozy and chic, with soft lighting and charming details that create a welcoming atmosphere. The menu is a true gem, offering a wide variety of dishes to suit every palate. I opted for their signature [specific dish, e.g., avocado toast with poached eggs], and it was nothing short of perfection—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The coffee was equally impressive, with rich, aromatic notes that made every sip a pleasure. They clearly source high-quality ingredients, and the care put into each dish is evident. The staff deserves special praise for their attentiveness and genuine hospitality. They were knowledgeable about the menu, quick to offer recommendations, and ensured every guest felt valued. The service was prompt without feeling rushed, striking the perfect balance.

Absolutely phenomenal! This cozy little café has become my go-to spot for the perfect morning escape. The barista crafted the creamiest latte I've ever had—rich espresso with just the right foam art (a cute leaf today!). Paired it with their flaky almond croissant that literally melted in my mouth. The ambiance is spot-on: soft jazz, warm lighting, and plenty of outlets for remote work. Staff are genuinely friendly and attentive without hovering. Prices are fair for the quality, and they even have outdoor seating with heaters for chilly days. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by—you won't regret it!

Excellent Sunday lunch. Delicious food. Excellent service. Most definitely quality over quantity but the quantity is more than enough. The food is wonderfully prepared. The service is attentive. A definite recommend.

Excellent pub with rotating pop-up restaurants and chefs always excellent quality. Large selection of drinks including beers wines cocktails. The wine list includes natural wines. Nice location nice clientele. Dark and mysterious.

A lovely place in the jewellery quarter with great laid back atmosphere and music. Food was delicious and filling. Approved by us Londoners. Everyone was super friendly. It had an indie vibe 👍👍👍 We loved it all.

Came here to finish our Saturday night and the experience was great! 1000 trades offers a great selection of craft beer from both keg and cans, and the atmosphere was welcoming and buzzing without feeling too loud or rammed. The selection of board and card games in the corner were a great accompaniment to the brilliant beers

Ok so here is my honest opinion - I would have driven past this place and not even given it a second thought as it doesn’t have great keen appeal - BUT so glad we didn’t…wow wow wow a little gem in JQ. We had to most gorgeous Sunday lunch. A kitchen that knows how to cook for vegetarians and meat eaters. Home made fresh food. The ambience was rustic, friendly service in a relaxed quirky environment. So glad we booked and went along . Overall - Great place, real little find - give it a go you won’t be disappointed. My partner said best vegetarian meal he has had in years. On the whole a hearty recommendation from us.

Lovely quirky place with a good selection of food and drinks. The food was delicious. We had the vegan and vegetarian roasts and it was so tasty, although some of the trimmings were cold. The girls and the chap working in there were so lovely and super friendly and personable. The main downside was we were sat next to the door and it was freezing. They have a fire but it wasn't on. It seems they need a downward hot air blower above the door to keep the cold out. We did look to see if there was a table to move to but they all seemed to have reservations. Would definitely go again, just might put a note on the booking to ask not to be sat at the front. It's also really dog friendly which is amazing.

Unique little mexican restaurant above the pub. Felt authentic and my nachos and spicy prawn mango dish were both very good. Will definitely be back to try some other dishes. Gave the atmosphere a 4 only because I was early and the music was too loud where i was sitting!

The menu includes a variety of tasty gluten-free options, making it a great choice for those seeking quick and healthy bites. Customers particularly enjoy the Satay Chicken Box and Breakfast Muffins for a convenient morning meal.
Absolutely love the coffee at LEON on Birmingham New Street — one of the best-tasting coffees I’ve had in the area! Rich, smooth, and full of flavour. Always freshly brewed. Highly recommend for any coffee lover! I especially want to give a big shoutout to staff members — AGATQ , Mark and ABAD. They are incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional. Highly recommend for any coffee lover!

This was my first time trying Leon’s breakfast, and it was good. However, I found the portion size quite small for the price. That said, the food tasted great and was served quickly, which is perfect if you’re in a rush and need a quick start to the day. Overall, great staff and fast service!

I want to thank Mina and Leon for their amazing hospitality at Leon’s. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and taken care of—their attention to detail and genuine warmth made my stay really special. From my viewpoint, Leon’s isn’t just a great place to visit; it’s a smart investment for anyone who truly appreciates quality and value. I’m grateful for the experience and can’t wait to come back.

Extremely fast service which was much welcomed given the rush I was in this morning. I ordered a bacon and egg muffin and for the price it was very good! Soft sourdough bun with an equally soft unsmoked slice of bacon, relatively thin “round” egg, and a dash of a sweet based ketchup to top it off and spinach. Would visit again, good fast service for breakfast. Love the decor of the place too! Edit: added new photos on second visit Also, noticed the “breakfast meal deal” which works out better value for money, in which any muffin with a regular coffee is £4.99! Only an additional 50p on the usual price of a muffin! Service was extra fast again today too!

Honestly the best fast food service i have ever been to. The staff were very friendly and quick, there was a quiet, cosy and clean atmosphere and the food was 10/10. As someone who is gluten intolerant, it’s usually hard for me to have fast food and it be tasty and affordable but this place was spectacular. The food also contained the caloric and allergy/dietary requirement stickers on the menu which is very helpful. Definitely recommend and would come here again.

Taste of Pakistan is a vibrant eatery that offers traditional Pakistani cuisine and a diverse menu including breakfast options and delightful desserts. The restaurant boasts an energetic atmosphere complete with enchanting old-fashioned melodies, providing diners with an authentic taste of the country. Additionally, there is a charming private dining area on the first floor, accommodating 8-10 people and serving as an ideal venue for special occasions or social gatherings. The establishment prides itself on excellent customer service in a welcoming environment suitable for families.
I recently visited Take of Pakistan Birmingham and it truly felt like a taste of home. The food was authentic and full of flavor, I tried the Nihari, paratha, halwa puri, and tea, and everything was spot on. The Nihari was rich and perfectly spiced, the parathas fresh and flaky, and the halwa puri reminded me of traditional Sunday breakfasts back home. The chai was the perfect finishing touch. The environment was warm and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. The atmosphere and the food together took me straight back to Pakistan. Definitely a place I’d recommend to anyone looking for genuine Pakistani flavors in Birmingham.
Fahad — Google review
Worst experience visiting this place. The food need to be ordered downstairs. We ordered 2 samosa chat in starter. It was definitely the worst samosa chat I have ever tasted. The sweet sauce is usually made with dates(khajoor). Here it was made with God knows what. You can see the pink colour in my pictures. Then we ordered Sindhi biryani and lamb karahi. The biryani looked like leftover from previous day and no taste. The karahi was boned and tasteless I hardly had 3 bites and could not eat more. Most of the food was left as we could not finish it. Never visiting this place ever again. There was another group of 4 young lads and they too said the same thing to server that the biryani does not look/taste fresh. Felt like it was leftover from the day before. Edit: I said all the above to the person taking payment and he only charged us £20 instead of £34ish. But still its £20 for something that we cant enjoy at all.

Guys, never ever try there, Falooda One of the worst things I’ve tasted.it’s not just sweet, it’s way too sweet. Like overkill sweet. They’re charging £5.50 for this tiny glass. Totally not worth it. Avoid it unless you want a sugar shock.

Great pakistani environment. Ordered Nihari , Channay and Paaye. Loved the Nihari and Channay. Naan were also fresh and great taste. Would recommend this place. Some seating downstairs but mostly upstairs. I didn't see a lift, don't think they have one.
Annie S — Google review
Breakfast here is actually quite good, but the fried items are very hit and miss. I asked the lady at the counter if the kichoris were fresh and was told they were – only to get home and find they were clearly from the previous day. Disappointing. I’ll stick to the breakfast options, but I don’t think I’ll be buying the fried stuff again.
Maira K — Google review
I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at Taste of Pakistan was truly disappointing. The food was absolutely terrible, clearly not fresh and tasted like leftovers that had been reheated multiple times. Despite the name, there was nothing remotely close to the authentic taste of Pakistan in any of the dishes. What’s even more frustrating is the misleading presentation. They’ve got a small car outside decked out in eye-catching Pakistani truck art, which sets the expectation for a genuine and flavourful culinary experience. Unfortunately, that’s where the effort seems to have ended. The food was poorly prepared and lacked any of the rich, comforting flavours you’d expect from traditional Pakistani cuisine. I went in hoping for at least a decent meal, but honestly, I wouldn’t serve what they gave me to a DOG, let alone another human being. Even their bakery items like biscuits and cake rusks were subpar, dry, tasteless, and nothing like the quality you’d find in a real Pakistani bakery. “Pakistani”? More like a bad joke. There’s a lot more I could say, but I’ll leave it at this: avoid this place. Don’t be fooled by the flashy decorations. This spot is all show and no substance.

In addition to their signature porridge, they also serve overnight oats and homemade granola. The cozy retro decor of the coffee shop provides a welcoming atmosphere to enjoy their exceptional specialty coffee alongside a hearty meal. While not entirely vegan, Morridge can cater to vegans with fantastic dishes.
I had a fantastic experience at this cafe! The food was delicious, with fresh and flavorful options that cater to a variety of tastes. The service was outstanding – friendly, attentive, and quick to make sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was cosy and inviting, making it a perfect spot to relax, study and enjoy good company. And the drinks? I had a flat white and great. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a delightful cafe experience!"

This place was such a find on our recent visit to Birmingham. For starters, it's at the entrance of an absolutely stunning Grade II listed Victorian arcade - so much kerb appeal! Inside it's all retro vibes, it took me back to my childhood living room. The retro styling isn't in just the decor, it's in all the serving ware too - the attention to detail is second to none. Service is absolutely wonderful - staff are really keen to help. The food is definitely 2025 - we had the sandwiches and seriously, they were the best I've ever had (and I've had a lot of sandwiches in my time!) My friend who is Australian and a self confessed coffee snob said it was the best coffee she'd had on her visit to the UK! This place is for people who like great coffee, relaxed vibes, fab service and wonderfully fresh food. Highly recommend!

Just wow!!! The atmosphere and decor were unmatched. The upstairs seating area offered a hammock swing and cosy sofas. They brought the food and drinks right to you and were very transparent about waiting times, and oh boy it was worth the short wait. The coffee was great but the sandwich was exceptionally scrumptious but what took the biscuit (literally) was the white chocolate cookie sent from heaven, I often crave the cookie still and am due a visit soon.

We have been here twice now and we love it! This time round we tried the soup and it was so delicious. The little touches and garnishes aren’t there for show, rounding out the soup or porridge as a whole dish in my opinion, that’s what makes this place great! There is a lovely atmosphere, constant vintage vibe that is really relaxing, comfortable and pleasant to be in. The staff are friendly and there is now loads of options, sweet and savoury, oats or not! It’s a little difficult with the full food menu only being displayed downstairs, but it makes the place feel cute and cosy and I really can’t complain. I have loved this place since it opened and only wish I could get into Bham more often of a morning to become a regular. Not to mention the coffee was brilliant too.

I am actually so satisfied with tim Hortons, this is my time here and we spilled the whole hot chocolate on the floor by mistake, yet they responded clearly by cleaning them and know what, they also did replace the spilled drink with a new one..... That made my day.... Hats off to the team and they have earned a regular customer.... Thanks to the team and they have got amazing breakfast deal....❤️❤️❤️
Iswar R — Google review
Service is fine. It’s more the quality of food that is extremely bad, and this would be down to decisions at tactical/management level rather than an operational/store level issue. I’ve had better tasting coffee from sachets - if this is “Canada’s favourite coffee” then I feel sorry for the Canadians. The doughnuts all look wonderful, but they fall flat in the taste department- just tasteless bread, the manufacturing process needs to be reviewed. Personally will avoid this chain in the future.

Its location provides easy access to luxury shopping options and the vibrant city center of Birmingham. The on-site Chez Mal Brasserie offers a vibrant atmosphere with colorful neon touches.
I only booked a night here for after the Kendrick Lamar concert. But it was an excellent stay. The rooms were amazing. I actually got a free upgrade! The room was spacious, they had all the right amenities, including free bottled water. The hotel is located right by the train station so it’s really easy to get to. The service was excellent from the front desk and the hospitality staff. The breakfast was great too, I liked that it has both a continental buffet and cooked options you can choose from. The choices are a bit limited but most people will find something they’ll like. If I come back to Birmingham, I’ll be staying again.

Located close to the Bullring and with a Q car park next door to the hotel, this hotel is ideally located. The rooms are of a very high standard, although a little dark. They are very spacious and are built to a high quality. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The bar has an extensive drinks menu and the happy hour prices are very inviting. Lastly onto the food. I rarely eat at hotel restaurants, but the food here is excellent. Easily on par with a respectable restaurant. I highly recommend staying here if you're visiting Birmingham.

An Exceptional Date Night – A Must-Visit! I’d heard so much about this place but had never had the chance to experience it, so when my partner took me here for our date night, I was beyond excited. Though we had a brief wait upon arrival, the staff quickly made up for it with their impeccable service. They truly went above and beyond to make us feel like VIPs, attentive, friendly, and genuinely eager to ensure we had a wonderful evening. The food was simply phenomenal. We kicked things off with the crab tacos, and honestly, it was one of the best things I’ve ever tasted. Fresh, full of flavor, and beautifully plated, it set the bar high for the rest of the meal. The steak? Perfection. Juicy, tender, and packed with incredible flavour, it was clear that a lot of care and skill went into preparing it. The atmosphere was the cherry on top, cozy, romantic, and just the right mix of relaxed elegance that made our night feel even more memorable. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience! 😊

Overall this is pretty good hotel. I've not used the gym or spa facilities. I have always visited on business trips. Rooms are generally impeccable, but I will say they are starting to show their age. However, still a very good experience. Breakfast wise, you get great service and the food is, for the most part, good. I think there's the odd chef that isn't up to the standards of the others, but to be honest, I've never thought to complain. It's pretty darn ok, ya know. If there were any complaints, it is this: please, please give complementary lip balm! The air con is very needed, but dries your lips fast. I have always left the hotel with crunchy, painful lips!!

With multiple locations in Birmingham City Centre including Selfridges, Grand Central, Colmore Row, Newhall Street, Brindley Place, and New Street, it's a convenient choice for those on the go.
Popped in this morning for some coffee and breakfast. It's a small store, so it's not loads to choose from, but the pastries were fresh and yoghurt pots tasty. Lots of seating upstairs, code for the toilet on the receipt. We enjoyed people watching out of the window.

I get the dark chocolate vegan cookie almost everyday before or after work and it's delicious! Special mentions for Surya who always greets me with the warmest smile and amazing service - she brightens up any day and is a real credit to the store!

Love the place, just sometimes wish they had more electrical charges on the second floor as the place is great to work with your laptop. Also the airconditioner can sometimes be too strong and the draft feels a bit much. Other than that the place is great, with great views out the windows and comfy chairs.

I was served by one of the lovely staff this afternoon, forgot to ask his name unfortunately but will try to find out and update when I can. I came in earlier wondering which of the new flavoured iced lattes to try – ended up going with the Ube Brûlée one, and he very kindly gave me a discount as I was trying it for the first time. Also asked about a certain sandwich which looked like it was out of stock, but they had just made a fresh batch so I was able to get one. So fresh that the bread was still warm! I live nearby and I’m surprised I’ve only just visited for the first time, but will definitely be back for some more working sessions and to try some of the other summer drinks and matchas – I didn’t realise the inside was so big. Plenty of seating and quite a few tables that have plugs for both regular chargers and USB types. 10/10 for the wonderful service, really made such a difference for me!

Went to this place .... The staff there told me I could only stay for 30min No reason why, Just said to me it was a time limit The cafe was pretty much empty, only three customers with me The time limit made me feel unwelcome and not really wanting to go back again 😞 Hehe lol ... I think the cleaner got more time than me, to drink coffee and to have a meal, to relax there

The photo provided is from the official social account of Charlies Kitchen, a halal restaurant located on Lozells Road. If you're looking for a delicious breakfast in the early morning, this establishment is recommended. The food served here is amazing and highly enjoyable, with excellent customer service provided by the staff, particularly one young lady at the front desk. However, attention to small details like cleanliness could be improved upon.
Tried breakfast here for the first time and I will definitely be back again. Very good customer service, friendly and welcoming. The food was cooked fresh and was tasty and authentic. I absolutely loved the Desi tea!

Ate from here many times On this occasion ordered some peri strips with rice and afew pizza burgers The rice and strips was not to my liking, rice was really tasteless( bland) and the chicken was dry. Both chicken and beef pizza was decent taste wise All in all, this place is a bit of a hit and miss, certain food tastes nice but certain food doesn't Bit like I always say everyones taste buds differ and opinions are different, but this is my honest opinion

I visited this place as it seems to be the most healthiest on the street. Ordered a handful of items from wraps and jacket potatoes and the mix pizza box. For what I paid; portions were not the greatest. The food was nice but I do believe larger portions are needed what is paid. The table was also very sticky when seated so ended up just taking the food out.

Hair in food. Used to go here quite a fair bit back in the days. Ordered a mixed pizza burger which I’ve been wanting to try for a long time. Finally went in and brought one to only find a hair in my food. Took it straight back to the shop. Was immediately offered a replacement or money back. Of course I went for the money back option. Why would I want a replacement when I’ve just found hair in my food which would put anyone off?? Tbh would’ve appreciated a drink or something little on the house for the inconvenience and time wasted (15m wait for food). Due to this, I rate the customer service 0 ❌❌❌👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 Massively disappointed and will not be returning.

Read some reviews so thought to have breakfast in this place … lovely parking in fact right outside the cafe, it’s a trendy place and many of the customers had been here before, I had English halal breakfast and hubby had the Desi omelette ( very spicy so if ur not a green chilli fan let them know!) Paratha aren’t fresh they are the frozen type however he enjoyed! A little disappointed the ran out of wholemeal bread but having no choice had the white.. Sausages are really nice ( best I have had on halal range) however having no pepper made my eggs go cold as there was only 1 pepper pot shared amongst customers…Desi tea had run out but a few sips was offered and replacement tea given, would of preferred a proper mug as it is an eat in place, Service is good and for the price overall a lovely place! Definitely worth a try so don’t hesitate!!

Disappointed and Won’t Be Returning I used to be a regular at Charlie’s Kitchen every weekend without fail. Last year, I called ahead to place an order to eat in with my kids. Despite calling in advance, I waited 30 minutes when I arrived, only to be handed my food in a takeaway bag. I had clearly stated over the phone that we wanted to dine in. When I mentioned this, the girl at the counter was rude and dismissive. That experience put me off, and I stopped going. Today, after a long time, I decided to give them another chance. I placed my order at 12:00, hoping things had improved. By 12:40, I was still waiting. When I asked, a different girl casually said, “Oh, they just put it on now.” Seriously? 40 minutes later and they’re only starting to cook? That was the final straw. I paid for my coffee and walked out. This is the second time I’ve had a bad experience here. I won’t be going back again. The service is slow, communication is poor, and the staff don’t seem to care. Very disappointing.

Good, decent food here. I went there for the Big English breakfast and some Asian breakfast. Service was good. Friendly staff. The food came quickly and was pretty decent. The place has a seating capacity for about 10 people. I would recommend this place and I would come back again.

Ordered breakfast for 2....such a let down. It was like basic home made food. A child would have made it better. No taste, no flavour lacking even the basics like salt and pepper. It had a frozen patty which was dripping with water which made the bread soggy. Order 2 drinks and even they were only 3/4 full. For what we got for breakfast it was overly priced. Would not reccomend it again

This hidden gem offers an array of freshly baked goods and meals prepared daily with high-quality ingredients sourced from nearby suppliers. Their breakfast and brunch menus are filled with beloved favorites, complemented by enticing daily specials for those seeking something unique.
Fresh bread and choice of so many fillings that you don't usually see in other places. Gluten free choices too as well as cakes. Friendly service, toasties are good also!

This is a little gem for Knowle. The staff care about every aspect of the job. Fresh produce. + Customers care. Equal satisfaction. Their cooked breakfast is sensational. I saw their soup so decided to give them a visit. I live 10 miles away and hopefully this shows how good they are. I took two sandwiches away.

We have been eating Freda's Deli for some years now. The food is excellent, it’s always fresh and the dishes are really creative. If you want amazing coffee this is the place too. The staff are great! Always welcoming, attentive and ask how me and my father are. We can’t speak more highly of Freda’s Deli :)

Love this shop, but don't get to go to often because of location but on the odd occasion when I am in Knowle, its an absolute must and today was exactly that. Had the New York deli sandwich. Simply 10/10. Made me smile from beginning to end. Thank you to the lovely lady who served me, outstanding work!

Fab coffee, took a little detour whilst working to have a proper lunch break, chose this awesome little independent cafe in Knowle on the High Street. Chose to eat in and enjoy the chilled atmosphere, lovely staff, they clearly take time to get to know their locals well and make them feel welcome. Passionate about food too. Best part was an amazing tikka and mango sandwich on rustic bread, yum! And a sweet treat to takeaway!

Amazing food! Staff are all kind and accommodating. 10/10. Pancakes so fresh, lots of toppings. Ordered the biscoff and white choc pancakes and the chorizo pizza bagel and they were both incredible! Lovely place.

I was really excited to try these doughnuts, but sadly a bit of a miss for us. We came late afternoon and a few doughnuts had already sold out. We purchased a box of 6 doughnuts for £8. I thought this was ok pricing. As the doughnuts were a good size and looked packed full of goodness. We went for the Snickers, a caramel fudge, pecan & Nutella and a Jamie dodger. The doughnuts were under done, lack of flavour and had a soggy bottom that Paul Hollywood wouldn’t be happy about. The only doughnut we did enjoy was the chocolate fudge, as it was coated in chocolate to mask the soggy doughnut. But, it could have been a miss day for the bakery. They did also offer lots of other foods and ice creams too. The waiter serving was very happy to help and very pleasant. But, we won’t be back in a hurry!

Sadly by the time we got here all donuts were sold out, but they were kind enough to let us pick from other desserts to still go under the coffee & donut deal. Really good quality food & a couple of tables outside to sit at ☺️

Carvery
Breakfast restaurant
British restaurant
Toby Carvery Stonebridge Island Meriden Coventry West Midlands is a classic family-friendly restaurant known for its carvery-style roast meats, kids' menus, and traditional desserts. The establishment also offers Real Ales and has facilities for people with disabilities. Visitors often praise the friendly and helpful staff, prompt service, and fresh and tasty carvery options. While some guests have mentioned challenges with accommodating larger groups, many appreciate the warm hospitality provided by staff members like Melissa.
Had a fantastic afternoon at Toby Carvery with friends—great food and even better service! Our server Lucy was absolutely outstanding: warm, attentive, and full of personality. She made the whole experience unforgettable. We’ll be coming back just for her!
Em M — Google review
Food was great quality and the carver behind the deck was a good bloke. The car park was a disgrace and needs resurfacing, signage and some sort of marking out. Staff in the restaurant area seemed terrified of the customers and unable to communicate with you. No labels on carvery food telling you what's what there. You were also just left to your own devices basically and we just did what we wanted and had carvery without anything being explained. Ceiling is also ridiculously low near carvery deck with no warning signs. What an odd place. Food really saved the day here.
Daniel B — Google review
We had a wonderful meal this evening. The food was fresh, hot, and the carvery selection was good. A special mention goes to our server, Lucy, who was exceptionally helpful, friendly, and polite throughout our visit. She made us feel very welcome and went out of her way to ensure everything was perfect. Overall, a really enjoyable meal and lovely atmosphere — we’ll definitely be back soon.

After being turned away at 7pm due to a food shortage and then the day after having a table booking cancelled on me whilst on route to Toby carvery (Bradford arms) in Castle Bromwich , I thought I’d give Toby another more chance for a Sunday roast at a different location & decided to book on the app for a table for 1 at Stonebridge island Toby. I arrived to a very busy stressful environment. I payed extra for a kingsize plate which gets you extra meat and some sausages. Unfortunately I wasn’t offered sausages and no extra meat. The slices of meat given were wafer thin and the same portion size as the regular sized meals ordered in front on me, so the extra payed for kingsize was a waste of money with no value whatsoever apart from one extra Yorkshire pudding that looked like it had been sat under the weight of a tonne of bricks. The beef was more grissle and fat than beef too. Aswell as paying a premium because it was a Sunday, my experience wasn’t enjoyable and I felt that I didn’t get value for what I payed. Edit:As a reply to the ‘owner’, I did infact visit Stonebridge island Toby and booked it through the app. I am not a liar, everything I have written here is the truth. I was prompted to leave a review via an email from Toby carvery asking how my visit was!!! Instead of an apology or the offer of a refund or a drink, you’d rather claim I never visited. 3 issues I’ve experienced with the Toby chain within 7 days. Do better.
Dan B — Google review
I recently visited Toby Carvery and had such a great experience. The food was absolutely delicious — perfectly cooked meats, fluffy Yorkshire puddings, and a great selection of fresh vegetables and roast potatoes. Everything was hot, tasty, and full of flavour. The staff were friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived, and service was quick even though it was quite busy. The carvery chef was cheerful and generous with the portions, and it really made the visit feel personal. The atmosphere was warm and relaxed, perfect for a Sunday roast or a casual family meal. The value for money is excellent too — you really do get a hearty, home-style meal without breaking the bank. Overall, Toby Carvery never disappoints. Great food, great service, and a lovely place to enjoy a proper roast. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!
Daniel N — Google review
Attended this carvery on what I can only say was a very busy Friday night on a whim after a long day. Had not managed to book a table but thought we would try our luck. I walked in with friends and greeted very kindly by manageress a front of house who was very welcoming and explained they were very busy but she would do her best to get us a table. We waited a few moments for her to catch up with all the arrivals and as flustered as she looked bless her she found us a table and got us seating with very little fuss. She personally took our drinks order and sent over our server straight away who directed us to the carvery. Now altho the que seemed endless to me this is the sign or a great carvery. And I have to say this has to be the best carvery I’ve had in a very long time. The food was piping hot the plates were nice and warm all the veg potatoes were constantly being replenished and over all the standard was very very good. I would like to say a massive thankyou for such a pleasant and welcoming visit it certainly won’t be the last time.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had a lovely experience at Toby Carvery today. The food was great as always, but what really stood out was the service. Lucy, our server, was absolutely fantastic—friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was just right. She created such a welcoming atmosphere and really added to the overall experience. Thank you, Lucy, for making our visit so enjoyable!

We stayed here because we visited the camping and motorhome event at the NEC. Great location and about 5/6 minutes to NEC, there is a fair amount of traffic noise, so if you are expecting peace and quiet, it may not be the place to stay. We arrived on Friday and friends who live in Coventry joined us for the carvery on the 1st night, the carvery was good but sadly the server was not too friendly! However on the Saturday, the food was good and the server Lucy was lovely, she was polite, informative and bubbly, Lucy made us feel very welcome she is a great asset to your team. Thank you Lucy!

Had an absolutely fantastic brunch at Boston Tea Party on Corporation Street! I opted for the full veggie breakfast and every single part of it was delicious and perfectly cooked. I don't usually rate takeaway services on Google however I thought it'd be worth doing for this little place as it's one my partner and I order from a decent amount because it's hard not to crave this place, they're warm, comforting and filling with their meals. Each thing is filled and seasoned with care and it's addictive enough to come back regularly and not get bored. The amount of vegan options this chain do really set an example for other chains as they not only do a lot but also they match up to the quality of the options offered for non-vegans instead of just throwing vegetables together and hoping it's decent. This is a chain who actually consider the dietary needs of people who are outside of the omnivorous diet alongside those within it. Would 100% reccomend going here if you have a party with different diets as everyone will leave full and satisfied.

From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting ambiance captivated me—cozy wooden tables, soft lighting, and the tantalizing aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air. The staff were incredibly friendly, greeting me with genuine smiles and making me feel right at home. The menu was a treasure trove of culinary delights! I ordered their signature [specific dish or drink, e.g., lavender latte and avocado toast], and it was pure perfection—the flavors were vibrant, fresh, and beautifully balanced. Every bite felt like a little piece of heaven. They also cater to dietary preferences, offering a fantastic selection of vegan and gluten-free options, which I truly appreciated.

We felt very looked after and nothing was too much for the staff. They made the experience very special. We often go for breakfast and lunch and now we have experienced a large party there we will definitely recommend to others and be back! Thank you so much to the team.

I eaten here many times with my kids and friends also with kids. As with all BTPs, the coffee and cake is very decent - I am partial to a flat white and the lemon drizzle cake. The food is great, with plenty of options for all diets and appetites, and the staff are always accommodating for our additional requests. I've never had a visit where the staff haven't been helpful and professional - no mean feat given numerous toddlers. There is a covered outdoor area with heating in the courtyard, which is great for containing said toddlers without worrying you are subjecting everyone else to our noise. There are some retained historic bits to the building which give it a nice bit of character - such as stone stairs slightly warn with use.

Nestled in the picturesque Warwickshire countryside, The Barn At Berryfields is a charming independent restaurant and events venue that has garnered multiple awards for its exceptional British cuisine. This delightful spot boasts an elegant dining area with large windows that showcase stunning views of the rolling hills and the farm's Hereford cattle grazing peacefully. The food and service in the restaurant was excellent. Special thanks to Ruth, Holly and the team for making sure we had a great meal and for accommodating a special dietary requirement by adapting the menu. Nothing was too much trouble. This is a fantastic location, myself and my colleagues have been visiting for a couple of years now. From over 10+ visits we have never had a bad meal, it is always excellent. The staff are friendly, the atmosphere is great, and importantly the food is amazing. It is set in the countryside, the restaurant has lovely views, a wander down to the tepee lets you see the piglets, pigmy goats and the allotment. The burgers are so good, and the steaks, all locally sourced food. We have even had 2 work events hiring the tepee area and having a BBQ, it's the highlight of our work social calendar. Oh, and the mocktails are fab!

Coffee really nice and good selection of cakes. Prices a bit steep but ok. Seating area really nice but additional seating downstairs by windows could do with something to dress the windows and a fresh coat of paint wouldn't do a miss.

I always love visiting The Barn (Cafe) for their almond croissants 🥐 since I’m a coffee and croissant lover. I've been to almost all the nice cafes in the UK, so I highly recommend this place. However, the only challenge is that they only make a few croissants, and whenever I've visited—whether in the early morning or the afternoon—I’ve never managed to get two from the shelf. The coffee is nice, but the almond croissants 🥐 are definitely worth trying!

Fantastic setting outside in the garden. The tepee area was closed due to private function had just finished and the staff were cleaning up. Signage asked for you to order via the QR Code on the menu, this didn’t work well as we couldn’t add extras or omit food from the order. Had to order at the bar in the end, which was much easier. I asked the server if I should take the cutlery and condiments and she said no they will be brought over with the food. When the food arrived around 40 minutes later with a different server she said you need to fetch your own cutlery and was a little rude. Salad was very large and very good. Would definitely return.

Held our wedding reception yesterday and wow, they couldn't do enough for us. Didn't require deposit, set our tables up and everyone had an amazing evening. The waitress, I wish I could remember her name, set the tables up, found us flowers and looked after us all night. Thank you so much. The food was great too 😋

Had an all you can eat breakfast. Good selection of food and mostly very tasty. Was surprised to see a Yorkshire Pudding available. Strangely it worked.

Great service off a lady name Donna here today. She was welcoming from the get go . I normally go to the Kings Norton Carvery but from the friendly atmosphere and and the great portion size . I will be coming

I visited Toby Carvery Streetly yesterday and was served by Sam. She came across as very warm and chatty, and even had a funny laugh that made us smile. She was attentive, checking in on us every so often, and made sure we were always taken care of. The service was quick and smooth, and her friendly personality really stood out. Overall, it was a great experience and I’ll definitely be coming back to this branch again. Thank you, Sam!

Charlie was super positive and friendly, and we had a great laugh over guessing our table number correctly! Carvery was lovely, we booked in quite late in the evening and the Host phoned us up prior to make sure they still had the meat that we wanted. 10/10 as always. Thanks guys!

We came this even, Adam was very attentive to us, gave me both puddings I wanted and didn't bat an eyelid 😂 Thank you much

Just had the most fantastic service at Toby Carvery Streetly and would like to say a particular thank you to Sam and Charl, the two amazing waitresses who sorted out a few problems during our evening ! ( The issues were nothing at all to do with Toby Carvery, but rather my own preferences in seating arrangements and then my confusion in paying the bill !) They were both incredibly helpful, attentive and understanding , and went out of their way to resolve problems quickly and discreetly , during a very busy evening service . Management staff were also very patient and helpful , so huge thank you there too! Really appreciated the general loveliness of the staff , makes such a difference to an evening out .

It’s a Toby Carvery just like any other, but the service here let it down a little. My plate was taken before I had finished, and when I went to replace what was taken, the member of staff serving the food told me I would be charged if I wanted another plate. I felt the situation could have been handled more professionally. That aside, everything else was fine — the food, the atmosphere, all as expected from a Toby Carvery.

Lovely time for first time at Toby Castle Bromwich. I have to said that on my experience visitingToby’s restaurants. This for much one of the most friendly staff, we felt very welcome, and a wonderful hospitality from the staff, all of them! Thank you specially to Marie N. Wonderful service. Is absolutely highly recommended for families. And the best way to expend one Sunday is around the table with a Sunday Roast from Toby Carvery

Wow, who is the manger for this place because it’s terrible. Went here for my nans birthday on Valentine’s Day. The food was served lukewarm warm that we had to ask for my nans to be reheated twice. The rest of us couldn’t be bothered to ask because the service was slow and hardly anyone around. I’ve added a photo of what they served as part of the kids meal, the chef couldn’t even be bothered to peel the carrot properly. There was a long wait for the gravy, the whole meal was cold. For those that didn’t have a carvery and had something off the main menu, the salmon wellington was burnt dry and full of pastry! All they could offer was free deserts at which we had but even the apple pie and custard was cold. There was people at the door waiting for their click and collect… it was terrible. I would stay clear from this Toby. There are far better ones near by with better service, happier staff and better quality of food. Shocking! Not even the manager had the decency to show their face and apologies. When I arrived there after my family she couldn’t even walk me to my table, I had to walk myself even though I’ve never been there. I will be making a formal complaint about this experience because it needs to be overseen and monitored.

I have been coming here with friends for awhile. The staff are always polite, welcoming and friendly. Sometimes the food can be dried out from the lamps and other days not much items left. But all in all I have still enjoyed eating there. There always seems to a good atmosphere when visiting. The portion sizes are good and also the table service. Sometimes it can be very loud from other people, but that can not be helped when everyone is enjoying themselves. The staff always check if there are any allergies or problems. They always look well presented and clean. The staff all look happy, which makes you feel comfortable to be there.

Had a lovely Monday dinner with family! Food was freshly cooked and delicious! Chef was very kind and brought us Mac and cheese when it was ready because it’s my daughter’s favourite meal. Smithy was very friendly and attentive! Great service! Thanks

We regularly take our grandchildren for a carvery and all enjoy the good standard of food and great service. The staff are all lovely. We usually have Marie D who looks after us and remembers us and what children have been up to. She always makes our experience there a lovely one. Efficient and welcoming.

The food was excellent quality the place was beautiful inside and very clean, it's a 5⭐️ from me, well done to the staff and cook's it was a pleasure eating there 👏 👏👏

Absolutely terrible service. We waited well over 15 minutes just to be served at the carvery. There were plenty of staff around, but hardly anything was getting done. At one point, there were around 20 people all waiting for the carvery, yet no one seemed interested in serving. The staff looked far more focused on preparing Uber Eats orders than the actual paying customers standing right in front of them. Having worked in restaurants myself, I was always taught that customers in the restaurant come first — clearly not the case here. This is the third Toby Carvery we’ve tried, and every single one has been bad, but this one was by far the worst. The only reason we stayed was because my partner was hungry; otherwise, I’d have walked out immediately. Even the manager seemed lost and confused. Honestly, I don’t know how this place is still running. Absolutely disgusting service.

Me and my family booked here for my brothers birthday and it was amazing, it was not too busy and the atmosphere was amazing. The cleanliness and food hygiene was great, the food was presented well and the chefs were polite. me and my family had a wonderful experience here and our server Hannah was so polite and let us take our time choosing our desserts. We had the best experience here and we have two autistic party members with us and the two party members didn’t feel overwhelmed at all! it’s a lovely environment and i’ll definitely be visiting here again! Thank you to our server Hannah as well!

The bright and welcoming atmosphere sets it apart from other locations in the chain. Visitors appreciate the attentive service, with special mention of Marie who went above and beyond to accommodate dietary restrictions. Right off the Robinhood island, lots of parking (validate indoors) and great variety for the carvery. Fresh, flavoursome meats and veg. Selection of condiments too! Also open on Christmas (reduced hours) and Boxing Day!

Treated myself to a Toby Carvery. Gotta say it was delicious and very filling. Finished off with a Bailey's hot chocolate. The lady that looked after me was very friendly and provided good customer service.. Food - Delicious and good variety of vegetables and meats. Service - Good friendly customer service. Cleanliness - Good standard. Minus a dirty spoon which was replaced straight away. 100% recommend and will revisit again.

Had two great evenings of food at Tobey Carvery whilst staying over at the Premier Inn just next door. I had Carvery on the first day and Yorkshire Pudding Wrap on the next. Lovely atmosphere, and enjoyable food.

Popped in on a Wednesday lunchtime, so it was moderately busy. We all had the carvery, although as my wife is coeliac she chose the option to have hers prepared separately. Our lovely waitress let us know 3 minutes before my wife's meal was ready, so we could be served & eat at the same time. Food was hot, & very tasty, service was good & cost was very reasonable. All in all a very enjoyable afternoon.

Was in hotel beside the restaurant, but nice facilities, clean toilets and good price pints. Didn't eat here as too busy. 1 barman on in the 3hrs I was in pub and with some groups doing big orders, you were left standing for a while. Need more barman, simple as. 1 at desk taking food orders, 1 in bar and another collecting plates and glasses.

Staff all pleasant and helpful Food mainly alright but Yorkshire not hot. Food was cooked well and tasted good. Staff happy to help disabled brother and myself with mobility. Toilets not clean ladies toilets had toilet paper and urine on the floor and disabled toilet had faeces on toilet rim and toilet basin and toilet paper on floor. Need more attention to toilets infection control and health and safety as toilets not checked and cleaned. Positives mainly just need safe clean toilets and Yorkshire to be hotter thank you

Food was a bit over cooked under heated lamps. Service was polite and helpful, but carvery veg was dehydrated. But usually it’s been good. Only giving an honest review because you asked

Had Sunday roast platter lunch with my family and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The service was superb with a warm, friendly welcome and undivided attention throughout - nothing was too much trouble. The timing of the meals was spot-on and the food was incredible - good-sized portions, very flavoursome, presented well and overall delicious. It was good value for money too and worth every penny and more. Will definitely be returning for another visit. Highly recommended

My mother really enjoyed her fish and chips and ice cream, my smash burger was a bit dry and average. I really enjoyed my cheesecake. Service was excellent and our waitress was welcoming and attentive.

I was super excited to try the afternoon tea here after hearing so much about it. The decor was beautiful and although a little tight with seating the atmosphere was lovely. It’s a real shame that there was a mix up with my order and on the day they weren’t able to cater for my dietary requirements. They did offer for me to have something off the menu and in the end I had a few sandwiches, fries and 2 scones with Jam and clotted cream. A disappointing afternoon tea but would return to try their vegan/egg free vegetarian afternoon tea properly.

I had an excellent Christmas party event here recently. It was a party of 10 and we kindly moved to a bigger table for a little more room. The food was very tasty and it did not take long to be served, I assume because we had pre-ordered. The meal cost was £30 for a three course meal and I believe that was more than worth it for what we got. I took one star off the food rating because I did not like the Christmas pudding dessert much, however everything else was top notch. I would recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a good venue for their office Christmas party or just a catch up with friends or family.

My point of contact was Satveer, lovely lady who guided me through afternoon tea delivery. She took all notes abs she asked me occasion and also made some changes on menu as I am not ham or egg fan. As confirmed food was delivered on time and a perfect pretty looking tray. The first thing I noticed was they added “happy anniversary “ on the cupcake and I did not even ask for- absolutely loved it. Then I set it up on my stand and when we had it it was the most delicious afternoon tea we have had. The macaroon was the most amazing it just melted. The savory items were so fresh and tasty. I was worried that it would be bland- but in fact this was packed with flavors which is still in my head. Need to order this again soon. Considering current climate the tray was delivered in perfect way nothing squashed. Thank you Satveer for everything

What a fabulous little cafe, from the moment you walk in you feel at home and the staff are welcoming. I had a latte with their Greek yoghurt and granola breakfast which was excellent value for money. There is outside seating with a canopy at the front and a great selection of food and drinks. I shall definitely return.

Very expensive breakfast, 2 breakfasts and a coke and a coffee £29. Took ages to get food and wasn't as good as other places I've been to. Sadly I won't go again because it's way over priced and takes too long to get your food.

The food was ok the staff ignored me only the Asian female member of staff twice I come and always ignored me and so do all the staff in future talk to me. You get a better review and feedback if you all talk to me

Shocking experience today, re ordered breakfast the same as yesterday with extras, paid £24 …. What arrived was 2 slices of bread, 4 alone sausages & a bap with a tiny fried egg on. Missing sausage, missing bacon & when I called to say what I’d received… got told it was my fault…. Obviously no one with any common sense working there. I re ordered only what I ordered yesterday but didn’t get the same !! Arguing on phone, terrible customer service & attitude problem. I mean who pays £24 for a couple of slices of bread, 4 separate sausages & an egg 😆😆 obviously scrambled eggs brain that blames customers for their mistakes
