Cocktail bar
The Lost & Found Birmingham is a charming bar and restaurant located in a grand Victorian building that was once the National Provisional Bank of England. Inspired by the adventures of fictional Victorian explorer Hettie G. Watson, this quirky establishment features high ceilings and an interior adorned with birdcages, butterflies, and flowers. The menu offers classic British food, sandwiches, and an array of cocktails presented on a unique taste map that categorizes drinks based on their characteristics.
Had a fantastic bottomless brunch with a friend who l hadn't seen for a long while here. It was the perfect setting and the drinks just kept coming! The food was delicious and the cocktails were refreshing. I will definitely be back for another visit, it was so worth every penny and I even brought a dessert after our bottomless brunch time was up !! Thank you so much guys 😄 ALSO: I don't know the waitresses name but she was witty and friendly and attentive, 10/10 staff.

Recently visited this pub, prior to a theatre show. Booking is definitely advised with this venue. It was very busy when we arrived and extremely hot inside. It was very noisy, with lots or party groups and hen party, too. The staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. We were shown to a table and then asked to move to the one alongside, some 20 minutes later! Our food order arrived within 15 minutes. It was well cooked and presented, tasted delicious, too. Our server was lovely and nothing was too much trouble for her. The building itself was a bank, so the inside was beautiful, as you would expect from an old building. However, the leaves which hand around as decoration were very dusty and definitely due to be replaced/cleaned. Also, the downstairs corridors leading to the wash rooms require attention, along with the toilets themselves. On the whole, yes I would return, staff are wonderful, decoration/toilets in need of help.

A Great Experience at Lost and Found We had a really enjoyable time at Lost and Found. Despite not having a reservation, we were seated promptly (though it was a weekday), which was a great start. The interior is beautifully done—stylish and welcoming. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout our visit. We appreciated the online ordering system, which made things very convenient. The menu had a good range of options, and I went with the fish and chips—absolutely delicious! We also took advantage of the 2-for-1 offer on selected drinks, which was a nice bonus. Overall, a great experience, and we’ll definitely be back.
Miss X — Google review
Staff were lovely and accommodating from start to finish. Very helpful and friendly, the place itself was really nice. Loved the decor, the facilities were lovely. Can’t really fault anything. The only thing I would say was the private bar wasn’t in use not sure if this was due to staffing as it was a Sunday but we had to go out the private room to the main bar for drinks and we had to order pretty much soon as we arrived as the kitchen closed at 8 and my booking was at 6. Apart from that our waitress Lolita? Was AMAZING!
Paris S — Google review
The venue is nicely decorated and styled and we were greeted on entry and taking to our table by a polite and friendly and attentive waitress. Unfortunately that’s where the positives ended. Myself and my partner had the beef roast, the beef had a slimy texture was seriously undercooked and very fatty. The potatoes were also undercooked. The broccoli was fit for the pin, way past its best and it was the same with my partner’s cauliflower cheese. My daughter who made the booking for Mother’s Day barely ate her fish as it was watery and very mushy. We got the attention of the waitress to complain about the food, she was apologetic and said she’d get the manager to speak to us, we waited about 45 mins and the manager never arrived so we got the attention of the waitress again and she went off to speak to the manager again. Eventually we had the meals discounted but not to the level that matched the waste of money and poorly prepared food. I would not recommend this place for food.
Paul W — Google review
Met with a friend for a late lunch, catch up, natter. Perfect! We ordered 4 starters and shared as neither of us were over hungry. Food delicious! Surrounding just lovely! We then sat there chatting so long we realised the 2 for 1 cocktails had started! Not many to choose from but my! They were so good! I know we'll be back again!
Terry H — Google review
We had the lunch set menu and the food was really good — well-prepared dishes and absolutely amazing desserts. The service was excellent: friendly and attentive, especially thanks to the lovely Jasmeen who made us feel very welcome. It’s a real pity about the lack of cleanliness, as the place has great potential and could be truly outstanding with a bit more care.
Bes E — Google review
Food & service was first class, despite being very busy the waitress was very attentive. Giving that it was a Saturday afternoon you will find it quite boisterous and I found the music to be a touch loud (but I am old and grey!!) and we were having to chat with raised voices, still, it was lovely, I enjoyed the steak and the Mrs enjoyed her burger. Therefore if you don't mind really loud music on Saturday afternoon then this is the place for you - recommended.....👍👍

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Birmingham on Temple Street, The Botanist is a captivating gastropub that seamlessly blends a rustic charm with a botanical garden ambiance. Known for its iconic hanging kebabs, this delightful eatery has recently introduced festive dishes like orange and cranberry glazed turkey served with all the trimmings. Diners can also indulge in hearty options such as turkey pie topped with a giant pig in a blanket or share a gooey camembert stuffed sourdough loaf.
We came today for a Sunday Roast after a party night. AMAZING! Nice portions, good food quality. Gravy was handmade and the meat was perfectly cooked (I had pork and it was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside) Vinny has been so kind to us, checking if everything was alright and being so fast on any command needed :)
Natividad V — Google review
We LOVED our dinner at the Botanist and highly recommend it. First of all, the cauliflower is the best of our lives! The halloumi fries and gambas were also really good. The Peri Peri chicken was so good and dang those veggies were perfect too. We loved every drink esp the porn star martini and the lavender lemon Collins. The wait and bar staff were amazing. It was such a wonderful experience!

Stopped here for dinner and drinks after a day out in the city. The decor is unique and gives the place a lively atmosphere. Food was good, particularly the hanging kebabs which are fun and filling. Cocktails were creative and well presented. It does get noisy in the evening, but that is part of the vibe.

Me and my girlfriend visited here on a trip to Birmingham The food was high quality and tasty. Beautifully decorated The drinks where adventurous and well priced Overall amazing experience
Katie A — Google review
Came in at a very early and quiet time of day which probably didn't do it justice, as I can imagine it's probably a lot livelier as the day goes on. It was still ok in there, very nicely done up inside. I didn't have anything to eat so can't comment on the food, just had a cocktail and a beer which were both fine.
Dal — Google review
I've been to the other branch in Birmingham and loved it, so I thought I'd try this one as its alot more central location ( note gave the other branch 5/5) Foods 10/10 just like the other site, the only thing that lets this branch down is the staff. 1 out of the 3 staff who dealt with us was really good! The other two were just not very friendly.... It's worth going just for the food! But I would recommend just going to the other branch ( about 20 minutes away )

Great place with amazing atmosphere, friendly service, and fantastic food! Had a lonely dinner experience! The place is very cosy, has a great atmosphere with all the lovely decoration. It's quite big - there are tables outside, bar area, few dining rooms inside and lavatories on the lower ground floor. We were greeted at the door and asked if we had a booking, we didn't but still managed to get a table. It was Thursday night, so it wasn't that busy. The service was very friendly and fast. The food menu has interesting dishes, a variety of vegetarian options, and their famous kebabs. I definitely recommend the chicken one. It's served either with chips, couscous, or coconut rice. I went with chips, and they were so crispy. The kebab was also delicious. There is a variety of drinks as well, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails. I really liked the alcohol-free Mind mojito. The deserts are out of this world! I had the most amazing Orea chocolate cookie dough! The prices are also reasonable. It was a great experience, and I definitely recommend this place!

The Night Owl is a vibrant retro-themed independent nightclub located in Deritend, Birmingham. It offers a nostalgic experience with its focus on soul, ska, reggae, and Britpop music. The club hosts various themed events and live music performances, making it an exciting nightlife destination.
What a find!! Great music all night was a mostly 80’s vibe the night we went. Such a friendly welcoming place; both staff and punters, people of all ages. Where what you like, be who you are at this place. We will be back (and we live 50 miles away!).
Ally J — Google review
Really cool vibes. Great live music. Nice cocktails. Friendly staff. Very welcoming (from someone who rarely goes out). Nice range of ages. Casual dress or dressed up. Sat and drew the band and the surroundings without feeling uncomfortable, and apparently I wasn't the only one who does that. Nice friendly crowd.

A huge thank you to Clare and all of The Night Owl staff for our amazing wedding at the quirkiest most chilled venue ever! Highly recommend love to you all! You’re all amazing! Thank you Harriet & Dan xxxx

This place really stinks. It smells like those little glass things you'd get from news agents, you'd crack 'em on the floor & they'd stink out the place -- yes that's it, this place has a smell about it like stink bombs. I shall not return. I do not want your audience. The spoken word is doom --- for the fishy smell there. Good bass though or should I say basses
Sam E — Google review
A great compact venue, though Wrap up well if heading there in Winter as a fair bit of the venue is situated outside. The stage has 2 huge TV screens behind it which show clips from many top programmes of the 60s. The venue specialises in retro acts from a bygone era. Bar prices are like most music venues slightly overpriced. On the whole a good sound & feel about the place you dig, I dug.
Drunken P — Google review
First time here, but it's a cracking venue! Fab DJ pre and post gig, I'd definitely come back to listen to the great tunes she spins!

Cookout event. Had a great evening listening to Big Ship Alliance and celebrating three birthdays, the DJ was great too. The food was great, thanks to Aairon, I even took some home. Thanks 🙏🏾 Clare for all the info about the event. I look forward to coming back in the Summer when I don't need a coat as event space is partially outdoors.

Pub
Bacchus Bar is a hidden gem located on one of the oldest streets in Birmingham, tucked away beneath the bustling New Street in Burlington Arcade. This underground pub boasts a unique and quirky interior with Greek-inspired decor, including busts, pottery, and paintings. Dating back to 1398, it offers a historic and atmospheric setting for visitors to enjoy cask ales and a crowd-pleasing menu.
Been here before years ago on a friday night when it was lively and heaving. This time I visited during a quiet daytime. It's a striking place to be in terms of decor. They serve some fantastic beers on tap, and are also good for a coffee. They made my wife a lovely cappuccino. The service was superb and friendly. I know the place must be good when my wife talks about going back there again. It's a shame we had elsewhere to be, as we could've happily spent a couple of hours here.
Dal — Google review
Had a great Sunday evening dinner here. Really unique decor and cozy atmosphere, staff were friendly and attentive. Food was nice and the menu had plenty of good options. We booked using FirstTable for 50% off food, so we got very reasonable prices as well. We didn't get any drinks, but there was a wide variety at the bar. Overall, highly recommended!
Archie — Google review
An oasis hidden below the mayhem above. We visited on a quiet weekday night and stayed until closing. Super selection of beers and good service. Decor is imaginative but in a Michelangleo Greek renaissance theme. That’s my best interpretation but would recommend trying the bar. Sadly I will not get to experience the bustle of a weekend it was a good night.
Andrew B — Google review
Bacchus Bar is a fantastic spot for anyone who loves great food and refreshing beer. The menu offers a wide range of tasty dishes — everything is cooked perfectly and pairs wonderfully with their excellent selection of beers. The craft beers are always served cold and fresh, with plenty of choices to match different tastes. The bar food is flavorful and satisfying, from juicy bites to hearty mains. It’s the perfect place to relax, enjoy a good meal, and have a few drinks with friends. Highly recommended for both food and beer lovers!
Michael K — Google review
Great atmosphere, The historical atmosphere is quite successful. Saturday evenings can be crowded and stuffy, also finding a table can be relatively difficult. On the other hands a very authentic place for other days
Irem G — Google review
A Hidden Gem Opposite New Street Station Bacchus Bar was our first stop upon arriving in Birmingham, and it was the perfect start to a great evening. We came across the pub when walking out of New Street Station, located opposite the station, we almost walked past when heading to the typical red brick pubs - I’m glad we didn’t. When entering, you go down a spiral staircase and you’re welcomed into an atmospheric space adorned with striking floor-to-ceiling artwork, sculptures, and eclectic décor that gives the bar a distinctive character. We stayed for a few drinks, including the Bacchus IPA and Nicholson’s Pale Ale. Both were enjoyable, but the Bacchus IPA stood out—highly recommended if you’re into craft-style brews. Although we couldn’t get a table for food as a walk-ins at around 7pm due to upcoming reservations (understandable for a busy evening), the menu looked solid, with options like pies and burgers. Overall, a fantastic experience. Friendly staff, a memorable setting, and an atmosphere that’s hard to find elsewhere. Bacchus Bar has definitely earned a spot on our “must return” list.
Bobby R — Google review
I always visit this bar when I'm in Birmingham,it's really beautiful inside, tucked away underground by the Burlington hotel. Nice friendly staff, drink price's are high, but it is a big city.I'll order some food next time,as they looked like they had a lot of nice things on the menu.
Lee W — Google review
I haven't been in here in 20 years and to be honest wasn't looking forward to it because I'm not really a sociable person but have to say that even though it was busy for a Saturday night, I was pleasantly surprised. Food was delicious with generous portions and prices reasonable. ALL the staff I spoke to were attentive, friendly and helpful. Even though they were rushed off their feet they had time to have a little chat and a laugh with my husband and I. Would I come back? Absolutely. 🥰

Excellent Sunday lunch. Delicious food. Excellent service. Most definitely quality over quantity but the quantity is more than enough. The food is wonderfully prepared. The service is attentive. A definite recommend.

A lovely place in the jewellery quarter with great laid back atmosphere and music. Food was delicious and filling. Approved by us Londoners. Everyone was super friendly. It had an indie vibe 👍👍👍 We loved it all.
Annie G — Google review
Came here to finish our Saturday night and the experience was great! 1000 trades offers a great selection of craft beer from both keg and cans, and the atmosphere was welcoming and buzzing without feeling too loud or rammed. The selection of board and card games in the corner were a great accompaniment to the brilliant beers
Sam T — Google review
Ok so here is my honest opinion - I would have driven past this place and not even given it a second thought as it doesn’t have great keen appeal - BUT so glad we didn’t…wow wow wow a little gem in JQ. We had to most gorgeous Sunday lunch. A kitchen that knows how to cook for vegetarians and meat eaters. Home made fresh food. The ambience was rustic, friendly service in a relaxed quirky environment. So glad we booked and went along . Overall - Great place, real little find - give it a go you won’t be disappointed. My partner said best vegetarian meal he has had in years. On the whole a hearty recommendation from us.
Julie W — Google review
Lovely quirky place with a good selection of food and drinks. The food was delicious. We had the vegan and vegetarian roasts and it was so tasty, although some of the trimmings were cold. The girls and the chap working in there were so lovely and super friendly and personable. The main downside was we were sat next to the door and it was freezing. They have a fire but it wasn't on. It seems they need a downward hot air blower above the door to keep the cold out. We did look to see if there was a table to move to but they all seemed to have reservations. Would definitely go again, just might put a note on the booking to ask not to be sat at the front. It's also really dog friendly which is amazing.

Excellent food, good choice of wine and other drinks. Quirky place with friendly staff

Birdies Bar in Birmingham is a vibrant and tropical-themed space located in the heart of Digbeth. It offers an array of cocktails, street food, and regular live music, providing a taste of warmer climates. As part of the Ghetto Golf complex, it hosts quiz nights and cocktail masterclasses. The indoor venue features beautiful floral and greenery touches that create a tropical paradise ambiance. While enjoying some of the finest cocktails and live music, visitors can also indulge in a variety of street food options.
Love this place! Really nice atmosphere, beautifully designed and seriously classy toilets! Not cheap, but certainly not overpriced. Good range of beers, wines, spirits and cocktails. Good food, good music and excellent way to recycle of old shipping containers, with their beautiful artwork. We'll worth a visit.
Carolyn H — Google review
A really nice large open space and bar. As not a proper building, rather cold. Would be amazing in summer. Drinks not cheap, and not exactly worth the money either. You'd expect £9 cocktails yo have enough liquor to warrant the charges. Food was ok, again pricey. Had live singing and the singer was pretty good. Defo worth a visit and certainly a good evening for bar hopping.
Naz N — Google review
If I could leave less than 1 star, I would. Bouncers were aggressive and the place was dead. The ladies toilets were closed and no staff to ask. Will never go back there again. Absolute disgrace and the bouncers should be really proud of themselves on trying to intimidate women. How dare they.
Sarah G — Google review
As other patrons have already mentioned on here, definitely worth a visit if you are doing any kind of tour of the Digbeth area. A really friendly vibe, with a wide variety of punter "types" (if you know what I mean!). We purchased some food from one of the vendors there - they do that thing where they hand you a buzzer so you can carry on drinking and not hang around waiting for your order. The chips were simply stunning. A really chilled visit - highly recommended.
Vern — Google review
So this bar is great if your table is located in the middle area but it has a selection of tables separated around the outside of the main area cut off with huge boards. It took 45 minutes to get our first drinks ordered and delivered and they were wrong. After speaking with a staff member we were moved into the middle bit and then it was great. The band were fantastic, lovely atmosphere, great decor, easy to order more drinks and much warmer.
Kirsty F — Google review
Great decor, food and cocktails. Price is okay and some of the cocktail are alittle bit small but made up in taste. Really enjoy the live music that they have going on at Saturday. Will deffo go again !
The ( — Google review
Unique space with the perfect addition of heaters to keep warm. Lit up by sparkling lights it sets the tone for a tropical romance. The food we tried was really full of flavour and a nice twist on street food. We had the chicken thigh burger with an Oriental pork belly chilli fries. It was delicious!! Really friendly staff. An all plastic venue so if you like a glass for your wine or beer probably re think your drinking whole. This wasn't a deal breaker for us.
Chloe S — Google review
This has the potential to be an amazing drinking space. The decor is fab, and the use of shipping containers is undeniably good for the planet. However there was a chill in the air mid evening (there's minimal roofing), and the heaters weren't quite powerful enough. Drinks are similarly priced to 'Ghetto Golf' next door. It is worth highlighting that all drinks were decanted into plastic, including our bottle of Prosecco. Which had we have been notified beforehand we would have gone for a bottle of wine instead (as you can imagine, it was pretty flat by time it had reached us).

Aluna is a trendy cocktail bar located in an upscale mall, offering a diverse international menu and featuring crushed velvet banquettes. The bar is renowned for its creative cocktails and Instagram-worthy decor, such as angel wings on the wall. Guests can enjoy bottomless brunch with options like Appletinis, Porn Star Martinis, or Prosecco alongside delectable dishes like Aluna waffles with buttermilk chicken or pink brioche buns with smoked bacon and spicy eggs.
Server was absolutely lovely, the four of us had food and some cocktails which were fab. All smiles all round from Kiah, will definitely come again thank you :)

3.5 The place is clean and nice. Their menu is simple and best value for money are their set menus. Food was good. The staff paid great attention to the person with allergies which is good. The cocktails were tasty tho we asked if the lava cocktail was looking like a lava lamp. Which was confirmed, but then came a juice looking drink because they had run out of the lava element. If you knew we ordered it for that, why not telling us? Anyway, overall good place but not outstanding in any way.

Very disappointing experience. Our first visit to this venue, server sat us down and I asked for something special as it was my wife’s birthday. Server recommended the Glitterbomb for her as he said it’s pretty cool in a test tube and smoking. For me, I ordered a Smokey Old-Fashioned. With four staff around you think this would have been quite quick to make. Server came over with the bill and thrust the card reader towards me. After paying and checking the bill saw that there is a charity payment of £1 and 10% (discretionary) service charge added. Not very appropriate if it’s just charged to your card before you’ve even seen the bill. But put that aside and who doesn’t like to support a charity and give good service a deserved tip! I paid for the drinks at 20:19. At 20:25 the same server asked if we’d ordered food! I said no but we’d like our drinks. My wife’s drink was finally made and put onto the side of the bar at 20:32 where we watched the smoke rise out of the ‘test tube’! And watched, and watched. Finally, when my drink was made at 20:36 and put on the side, the drinks were served but by that time there was nothing left to be seen of the special glitterbomb smoke spectacular! And for £12.50, you’d expect some fireworks. Staff on their phones and just disinterested made it a very poor experience. Needless to say we won’t return.

Every part of our evening at this venue was on point. From the event management to the on site staff, you literally couldn’t ask for more. The food was so good, fresh and tasty. The service was attentive and professional. I can’t rate this place high enough and I’ve eaten in a lot of places. Try it for yourself and enjoy.

An impromptu visit to Aluna for a couple of drinks in the sun. Sitting canalside as the sun shines and you're served the best cocktails - nothing not to love. Speedy service, helpful and attentive staff and perfect settings - no notes! Special mention to Michael - service with a smile :)

Restaurant
The Old Joint Stock Pub & Theatre in Birmingham is housed in a stunning Victorian bank building, now transformed into a lively pub and theater. The interior boasts an impressive island bar under a glass-domed roof, with flamboyant decor including chandeliers, ornate plastered walls adorned with illuminated busts, and historic photographs lining the walls. The bustling pub offers a range of Fullers pie-and-ale options and efficient staff despite peak times.
Fantastic pub. Once you get past the grand aesthetic of both the exterior and interior, you get to a superb selection of beers and ales. I opted for a pint of Lavender Hill Pale Ale, followed by a half of Rebel IPA. I was only visiting for a quick drink before heading to my lunch reservation elsewhere, but I want to come back and try out all of the different offerings. I may have to do it in half-pints! Service is friendly and welcoming, if you get a seat by the large front windows in day time, there's a lovely view of the cathedral and it's grounds to take in.

I chose this place for a birthday dinner for my husband because it had good reviews and looked like a beautiful place. It is indeed beautiful, but the greatness stops there. The service was friendly, but not very helpful. We were not told when seated that we'd need to order and pay in advance at the bar, and we were told two different things about where we'd be seated and it was confusing. We were passed by many times with me trying to get someone's attention before we figured the process out. The pay in advance part makes it difficult if you want to add on a side or dessert during the meal. We ended up with 3 separate charges for our meal. The chicken, bacon and leek pie was fantastic, the rest were just ok, though they were cooked very well. They were kind enough to sub the mushroom pie for a chicken pie upon request. The cauliflower and cheese lacks flavor as a pie and a side dish. We both agreed the best thing on the platter was the red wine gravy. The brownie for dessert was delicious and made the birthday boy happy, so that saved the day.

Amazing wonderful old pub/picture house in Birmingham temple Street. The inside architecture is amazing and the wall murals, balcony and central Ceiling Dome really make this an outstanding pub. The central bar has a great selection of beers and ales, drinks, with a very appealing menu. A must visit.

Beautiful space; I went for the theatre which was a fantastic treat. Walk through the pub all the way to the back where the ladies' loos are and then up one flight of stairs for the gorgeous little theatre bar and another for the small but perfectly formed studio theatre. A fantastic production and really fun experience. Non-alcoholic drinks reasonably priced, alcoholic typical for a classy city centre place. Stayed for a drink in the main pub at the end as it was too stunning not to take it all in for a bit!

We came here to see a production of Be More Chill, and I wish we'd have stayed for longer because the pub area was beautiful and the food smelled great. The show was brilliant, the facilities well kept. The theatre is up two floors of steep stairs, but a small lift is available & well maintained. All staff, stewards and performers were not only polite and professional, but enthusiastic and great to chat with. I'll definitely be returning to The Old Joint Stock soon!

What a great pub with lots of atmosphere right next to the cathedral. Great interior decor. I dived in here during a heavy shower and was welcomed by friendly staff. Good selection of beer. I wasn't hungry but looked at the menus and was tempted.
Duncan H — Google review
If going for just a drink it would be 5 star. But we went for food. It was extremely over priced. I had the vegan onion bhaji burger as it was one of the only options. It was so dry, they obviously just microwave the patty and it had been zapped so much it was extremely hard on the outside and powdery on the inside. (You know when you put a pastry in the microwave for so long the crust goes rock hard) If they want to charge just under £18 for a burger it should be made fresh! My suggestion if going for food maybe just go for the pies or if not…. Go somewhere else. (Lots to choose from around colmore row) I would have said something if someone came over to ask how the food was. But no one did even when they came to get the plates they didn’t ask how the food was. I would have said something but it seemed pointless after I had eaten it all. Due to being so hungry. Overall, great please to go for a drink… from my experience I wouldn’t go there again for food. 2 glasses of wine and a main meal £63!!! Not worth it.

I hadn't been in this building since it was a NatWest bank over 30 years ago. It is a lovely building and was happy to see the owners have retained a lot of the original interior. Was served buy a very friendly young lady. Was also surprised to see they have a small theatre "in house" so will keep an eye on upcoming shows.

The service was exceptional, with the staff being attentive, friendly, and making sure everything was just right. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and full of flavor, while the drinks were equally impressive. What truly stood out was the atmosphere—it had the perfect balance of elegance and relaxation, making it an ideal spot for a special occasion. Whether it was the ambiance, the service, or the overall experience, I genuinely couldn’t find a single fault. It was the perfect way to celebrate my birthday!

A friend and I stayed overnight at the hotel and decided on a last minute trip to the restaurant, and needless to say it was a great decision. We were met with great service and our server, Sangeeta, was exceptional. The food quality was great (we were especially raving about the grilled broccoli!) and was overall a great experience. Definitely looking forward to our next visit!

A very disappointing experience for my brother's birthday yesterday. There were 7 of us that came for a meal and some of us had travelled from Northampton just to visit this place. The food we received was not good quality at all, for the prices that they charge. We ordered a mixture of starters, mains and sides and nothing was good. The food was bland the worst of it being the "pan seared prawns", which literally tasted like they had just been defrosted in the microwave. No seasoning and no colour on them at all, they had definitely not been anywhere near a pan. I sent them back and asked for them to be cooked with some butter and garlic, some kind of seasoning. They returned them a few minutes after with what seemed like some oil drizzled over them and some black pepper on top. So disappointed I could not eat them. The rice that comes with the meals is microwave rice and was still clumpy. Also the fish taco starter, don't bother ordering that. I've never seen a piece of fish so thin. Even a birds eye cod fillet has more fish in it, sent back. You are basically paying for the batter. It was obvious that the ribs had just come out of a bag and the Korean chicken was completely bland. My brother sent that back and asked for a burger instead and then the burger was not great either and had way too much cheese. By the time my brother did receive his burger the rest of us had all finished eating and our dirty plates were still on the table, I had to ask for the table to be cleaned. The meal was just terrible all around. I had to complain as this had completely ruined my brother's birthday. We were offered a round of drinks that took around 25 minutes to come and then had a small discount off the bill. Still ended up being charged over £150 for this appalling food and service. I would say the food here is the same standard as a Wetherspoons. Even TGI's or Harvester is much better and that says a lot. I would only recommend this restaurant for somewhere to come for drinks as the cocktails were delicious and to take pictures as the decor is beautiful.

2nd time here (1st experience not great as seated inside corner where AC directions on our side with no view request to be moved but says all reserved areas cannot accommodate x4 even plenty of empty tables available till end of our lunch) on Friday visit Lady staff allowed us to seat in the bar to have meal so we can enjoy the view but found out table has not cleared with previous dinner plates lying around even 2 guys hanging in the bar just chatting when approached the guy seemed not nice just took the dirty dishes and not bothered to wipe the table. Don’t want to ruin the family celebration day so we just get on and enjoy the food (btw food were delicious served after 20minutes and still cutlery not provided ahead of time even they know you’re there for lunch)

Well firstly, thanks to you all for your swift service. Thank you to Lucy as well for her service and for looking after us. The food was great from starter to dessert. The presentations were a 10/10 and the food was full of flavour. The only thing that wasn’t good was the lamb from the kebab dish for the main course, but that is neither here nor there, but you replaced it swiftly with a chicken skewer, so thank you and we all appreciate for all you did for us today. The music was amazing, I was singing along to it so we were all comfortable. Thanks again and I do recommend this restaurant to others. But the main thing is I would love to come again!

While staying at the Genting Hotel, I had breakfast at the Sky Bar & Restaurant. The open buffet had all the English breakfast staples…scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, beans, hash browns, mushrooms, and tomatoes all cooked well. I also tried the Eggs Royale and Eggs Benedict from the à la carte menu, both rich and tasty. Pastries were available too, though they were just average. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, with a lovely view from up top that made the meal even more enjoyable. The location is comfy and convenient, service was friendly, and prices are fair. A solid breakfast spot if you’re at Resorts World.

Didn't eat here but the food looked great. Came here for a drink whilst on a recent family day out at Resorts World. Very nicely decorated and a nice, chilled out atmosphere. Great view from our window seat. Toilets lovely and very clean. Will definitely come here again next time we are at Resorts World and will be trying a couple of cocktails!

We were shown to our table fairly quickly, the server was on the phone when we approached her. Service was polite and we were given ample time to decide on our meals and drinks. We were served reasonably quickly and when the food came it looked very good. Unfortunately my halloumi in my halloumi wrap was overdone, so was fairly chewy rather than soft. It tasted fine and wasn't burnt so I did not ask for it to be replaced. Our onion rings did have several that were overdone and with little onion in so were very crunchy. I did not raise this as we were in a small group for a celebration. Overall I would go back as the seating and atmosphere was good and it was pretty busy for the day we visited. There was parking available and we did not have far to travel from the car park to the restaurant.

Outstanding food. Simply outstanding. Great service. Lovely decor and a huge roof terrace on a baking hot day only slightly ruined by external factors of looking at building when it’s more deserving of looking over lakes, rivers or countryside.

Great building with superb outdoor area to drink. Didn’t eat so didn’t rate the food. The service was nice and efficient. They did have Jubel peach lager which I love and also wild turkey. Unfortunately I was there during the afternoon so lacked atmosphere. But looks like it would be better in the evenings and weekend. But would recommend to all for a lovely drink.

The best sunday weve had in a while. A few weeks ago, I organised over instagram with TBF a group of 23 of us for sunday Roasts. They were able to assist me booking and sent over a pre-order link, all we had to do was turn up. We had our own section by the kitchen and we couldn't fault a thing. Every one of us loved the food and the atmosphere, I think our main server was Joe and he was brilliant. Attention to detail with the allergies, no notes were missed off the pre-booking form, we were all also able to pay individually at the bar. (Family friends were from Ireland so had to do it that way due to their online banking). Our mains were already being started within an hour of us being there so we all ate in very good time (worked amazingly well for the kids!) meaning we had a good couple of hours to socialise with our friends before getting the last train home at 5.30. Ive been here a few times before but our friends hadn't and they said it was the best end to their weekend with us, cant thank you enough and I'll definitely be back with the other half for a more chilled 1-1 roast next time 😂💖

Situated in the heart of Birmingham's historic Canal area, The Gin Vault is a charming independent bar and eatery catering to gin enthusiasts. Boasting an impressive selection of over 350 gins, this cozy establishment offers a relaxed atmosphere and an extensive tapas menu for patrons to enjoy. With its rustic decor complementing the canal setting, it's a popular choice for dates or casual outings. The bar is known for its eclectic drink selection, delectable tapas, and warm ambiance.
The entire place is relaxed and feels like a little home away from home and me and my partner loved it we asked for two gins kindly told they did not have them so we asked for recommendations and we both were not dissatisfied with the outcome of this. Both gins paired with there tonic were perfect and loved by both. For two drinks and there pair only paid £15 which is great.

Looked amazing. The menu was great, and there were only two other customers, so I thought it’d be perfect. But when I went to order a drink, I ended up waiting ages while the only member of staff there was too busy yapping away on the phone to even acknowledge me. How hard is it to take two seconds to acknowledge someone? I had money to spend and an evening planned there, but thanks to your staff’s complete lack of interest, I left and took my business next door. I’ve walked past countless times wanting to try it out, but after tonight, I’ll keep walking right by.

Firstly I hope when you visit here Shreya is your waitress, she's a absolute GEM and her knowledge of the gins was amazing. Always smiling and offering assistance, her customer service was 10/10. I attended here for a friend's bday and we paid £19 for 2 double gins with mixer and 3 tapas. The tapas are substantial as are the gin measures. I highly recommend the Orange and Blackcurrant Tanqueray. In all honesty I'm not a huge gin fan, but these were delicious and Shreya suggested the tonic flavour to go with them. If you're looking for a quirky, independent to spend an evening looking no further.

Lovely setting and liked the decor. Barman was the most disinterested chap I've seen working in a bar. I would have stayed for more than one drink but even taking my order seemed too much effort for the poor chap dealing with a whole three customers. I sat by the window to look at the canal but moved because all I could hear was his weird Candy Crush game on full blast followed by what I presume was only fans from the ooh ooh oohing at high octaves. Won't be back. Prices were daft too.

Did bottomless brunch yesterday. Have done this here several times but things have changed drastically. Cocktails were awful! The Bramble was served in one of those tiny tumblers you get to help yourself to water and was so full of lemon I had immediate indigestion and sent it back. They are usually served in large heavy based tumblers. The Bees knees just tasted of orange juice. My friend had about 4 gins and said she felt as though they were just flavoured tonic waters. We did not go to get drunk but to have a few nice cocktails. Our waitress got told off in front of us (and it was not her fault). We thought this unprofessional and awkward. She was very upset. The food was nice and hot. I would have the fried chicken next time as the grilled chicken was gone in one mouthful. It smelt a bit of vomit and we did notice a staff member going through periodically discreetly spraying air freshener. As I said we came here as it is usually very good but don’t think we will be returning.

Me and a mate were in Birmingham for a show, and needing a bite to eat before the curtain rose, we stumbled upon The Alchemist. Honestly, I wasn't expecting Birmingham to be so buzzing on a Wednesday afternoon – it had the vibe of a Friday or Saturday night in most other cities! The Alchemist itself is a bit of a hidden gem. Tucked between bustling outdoor terraces, it's easy to miss – the entrance is just a small doorway leading upstairs. Once inside, though, it's a different story. The restaurant was clean, inviting, and thankfully, not as packed as the outside options. The food was decent – not the best steak I've ever had, but definitely not the worst, especially considering the price. I get the feeling their cocktails are their real stars, though. The atmosphere had a kind of "date night" feel to it, with a touch of mystery – a good spot to impress someone new.

Nestled in a quiet Digbeth backstreet, Dig Brew Co is housed in an unassuming industrial unit. Upon entering through plastic strip curtains, visitors are greeted by a spacious taproom and working brewery with large steel tanks. The brewery offers a rotating selection of pale ales, lagers, sours, and stouts, including the intriguing 4.0% blackberry, blueberry, and cherry sour Dino.
Visited around 1pm on a Saturday in early July. Had a great visit here. Tried a few beers and all were tasty. All had a pizza and it too was quite good. The place itself is pretty large with loads of seating. Reservations for tables are available. Service was friendly and prompt. This place is absolutely worth checking out if you are in the vicinity.

Great little venue tucked away on one of the backstreets of Digbeth. Massive pizzas but seriously long waiting times even when the place was less than 35% full (my colleagues waited about 1.5hrs! For their meals to arrive. Patience is key as they are very tasty when they arrive. If your a vegetarian than options are quite limited.

Large brewery bar with a good selection of cask beers on the go, supplemented with a fridge full of additional beers. Aside from the beer choice, they also do a range of excellent pizzas and their chips are superb too. Pub
Bar
Located in the lively heart of Birmingham, The Wellington is a charming pub that seamlessly blends traditional British allure with the spirited ambiance of a rugby match. Upon entering, guests are greeted by an eclectic mix of decor, from beer mats adorning the walls to a diverse collection of vintage beer pumps. This establishment offers an array of hand-pulled real ales and ciders, including locally beloved Black Country ale and their own craft brews.
Excellent traditional pub with extensive range of ales, ciders and whiskeys. No food served here just pub snacks. Customers are allowed to take in their own food or order in takeout. Plates and cutlery supplied by the bar. Highly recommend a visit here.

A lovely city centre pub, at the top of Bennet's Hill, full of old world ambience and atmosphere. Lots of quality real ales, IPA's and Ciders. Staff were attentive and knowledgeable. Nice and clean and accessible. Can't comment on food as didn't eat here, but enjoyed a few hours with my daughter sipping and chatting. Will definitely visit again again!

We came to Birmingham for the weekend to see the Black Sabbath bridge and bench where they had tributes to Ozzy and Black Sabbath. Also the Birmingham museum to see the Ozzy exhibition. Afterwards we stopped in to The Wellington for a few drinks. A huge selection of beers and the service was great. We met some people there that were visiting for the same reason. We had a great time with them and really enjoyed our time at the pub. I would recommend a visit here while in Birmingham.

Met a friend I’d not seen for many years. Decided to meet here as we had worked across the road in the old Midland Bsnk ( yes that long ago). The Black Country pub group are doing a fantastic job in these pubs. Great selection of beers and ciders. Nice atmosphere and a good price for the beer. Even sell old style cobs.we had a great afternoon.

This was our "local" while visiting Birmingham for 11 days. Great selection of beers on cask. No food but plenty of food options nearby.

The carvery was enjoyable and I will return. The only thing I noticed missing was stuffing unless they ran out the evening I was there.

Beautiful traditional pub in Birmingham city centre stocked with a huge range of cask beers. Part of the Black Country Ales franchise, the excellent landlord, Nigel knows how to keep a beer, and has recently introduced a selection of cobs for customers who choose not to bring in their own food! A choice of bars and an outdoor seating area, plus lovely friendly staff make the Wellington a must for anyone visiting the city.

Our favourite pub in Birmingham. Has a fantastic selection of real ales and the added bonus of a couple of friendly cats roaming around the pub! We mainly go each week to see the cats, but the beer is also fantastic and atmosphere is very friendly with very welcoming staff.

Passing Fancies is a cozy bar located in The Custard Factory, offering a laid-back atmosphere akin to hanging out in a friend's kitchen. The bar is thoughtfully designed with a kitchen island-style counter for comfortable seating. The friendly and welcoming staff contribute to the overall inviting vibe. Despite its recent opening, Passing Fancies has quickly gained recognition as one of Birmingham's top bars, even making it into the Top 50 Cocktail Bars in Britain for 2023.
One of the best cocktail bars in all of Birmingham! Stunning drinks with a changing menu, incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff and never too busy or loud and just the perfect atmosphere if you want a good cocktail (or 10) Highly recommend!! Also the food?!?! Amazing. It’s so underrated but I’d come just for the food if it was on more frequently

Warm and friendly place, we came to do a spot of brunching. The French Toast was so fluffy and the burrata dish was very, very tasty. Wholesome clean food with a fantastic cocktail selection. They change their menu on a weekly basis. The staff are very welcoming and we enjoyed having interactions with them ⭐️⭐️⭐️ also, somehow, there seemed to be a man in my drink!!!!!! Shocked!!!!! Weren’t allowed to buy the display cocktails in cans as another customer cleaned them fresh out ;(

Absolutely fantastic first time at Passing Fancies. The two people serving were truly excellent, so knowledgeable, passionate and friendly. I can't recommend this place enough....quality cocktails, lovely environment and great service. 👍

The best bar in Birmingham!! Pretty chill vibes, a good place to social. Pet friendly as well! Their menu is very creative, my favourite one is called Dinosaurs Food ( a rum based cocktail). They change the menu every week or so. I’ve only been here twice, but this place has won my heart!
Jichao B — Google review
Very lovely bar, the menu changes weekly, friendly and welcoming atmosphere— great for going with friends and alone. The drinks were very good, my favourites were the toasted sesame colada and the adult ribena. The non alcoholic cranberry margarita was very good too. I didn’t try the pear margarita but it looks very tasty too. And unfortunately they were out of the passion fruit highball. I didn’t enjoy the shrubby-ness of the pie plant, it was not hard to drink nonetheless. If you like white wine, the pink lady would be amazing. The toasted sesame colada was like nothing I have ever tasted before, it was refreshing and smooth, sweet and aromatic. The adult ribena was sharper in taste and you could taste the alcohol more, its taste was sour and sweet and very fruity. Overall it was a very cool experience, my company particularly enjoyed the open bar aspect and how you could watch the bartender build your drink in front of you. Watching them shave the ice cube was very satisfying too. Recommend!
Jade M — Google review
Would definitely put this place as one of my top 3 picks in Birmingham. The whole team are amazing, walking into the place is best described as walking into an open plan kitchen. The team are always friendly and helpful on recommendations and preferences. Brilliant! Great drinks, great people, great atmosphere!
Niamh M — Google review
Honestly, one of the BEST cocktail bars I’ve been to in general. The drinks are perfectly mixed. Not overpriced. Banging stuff. Also, the mixologists/staff are super friendly and welcoming. Shout out to Matt. He’s the main reason we came back for a second time 👌
Yasemin K — Google review
Superb. The best bar in the city. An award winning team serving a small, but perfectly curated menu. If you want off menu, that’s ok, but trust us when we say you’ll want to try their creations. Drinking at the bar is always my preference. The staff are just the most funny, wonderful people and always make you feel like you’re sat around your mate’s kitchen island. It’s a warm and wholesome bar experience like no other. They often do collaborations with indie restaurants too (most recently Tierra Tacos) so keep an eye on their socials for updates on collabs.

Great find. Lovely craft beer. Other drinks available. Nice bar with quick service. Tables under cover and outside. Great beer choices. Nice street food stall on site. Craft beer can be expensive but please support your local breweries 😁 Clean toilets. No reservation necessary. Right next door to the station. Highly recommended 😁🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

An independent brewery in the Stirchley district of Birmingham well worth seeking out and visiting. Thru a gate into a light industrial unit you reach a large bar & seating area. The brews are great, well kept and a classic craft beer taste verging in some cases to a sour. Quite strong too so sip it 😂

The bar's signature Barbie pink interiors make it an Instagram-worthy spot for hosting events like themed bottomless brunches, Full House Bingo hosted by drag queens, Bottomless Porn Star Martini Afternoon Tea, and Josephine's Showgirl Brunch featuring burlesque shows.
I had a fantastic night at Tonight Josephine! The aesthetic is absolutely brilliant, and the staff were kind, friendly, and impressively efficient. The cocktails were the best l've had in a long time-especially their milkshake cocktail, which was amazing. The music was a solid 10/10, creating the perfect vibe. Honestly, I cannot fault a single thing about my experience. I'll definitely be coming back!

Great night out for my birthday, the drag queens were fab, not over the top but funny, food was good for the money, considering it’s the drinks you go for. Service was super, our main server was Kara, however all were good, we never had an empty drink for more than a minute. Definitely will return

A venue where you feel safe and secure is amazing , the bar staff were friendly , the guys who brought the bottomless drinks to our tables were brilliant . Would definitely return .

Such an amazing night. We went out for a family members birthday and the hospitality provided by Dondre, Ella and Sara was second to none. We all felt welcomed, they made sure we had whatever we needed and the atmosphere was a vibe. Even one of the staff was singing live which you don't see anymore. Definitely visiting again
Dalvir S — Google review
Had a brunch here for a large party. Atmosphere was good and the singers were great, really engaged with the crowd and got everyone involved. But the booking was for quite a few people and we couldn't all fit at the table we were given, the theme music and act didn't start until 20 mins into our hour slot and the way it worked wasnt really explained to us, they were slow to "top up" the jugs and the food came out randomly. But we did enjoy the atmosphere and themed music and made the most of it anyway
Beth H — Google review
Absolutely brilliant venue!!!!! 15 of us attended the bottomless brunch for my hen night and we all had an amazing time!!!!! Drinks flowed very well, music meant we danced most of the night and the drag artists were excellent!!!! They interacted with all groups in there and involved everyone, can't wait to go again!!!!!!

The newly opened nightclub hosts top DJs and offers an extensive selection of affordable cocktails. With a lively atmosphere reminiscent of the Coyote Ugly movie, the staff are known for their entertaining moves behind the counter.
What an incredible night at "Be at one". The energy in the venue was electric from start to finish. The music was on point — a perfect mix of current hits and classic tracks that kept the dance floor packed all night. The DJ knew exactly how to read the crowd and keep the vibe going. The staff were professional, friendly, and handled the busy crowd really well. Entry was smooth, drinks were served quickly, and the bartenders were great at making cocktails just the way you like them. The lighting, sound system, and overall setup were top-tier — you could tell they’ve really invested in creating a high-quality experience. Whether you're out celebrating or just looking to have a good time with friends, "Be at one" is definitely the place to be.

Wow, this place was great, good job it was 2-4-1 thou. We called in early evening, 6 oclock'ish and it wasn't too busy but within an hour it was filling up. The staff including the doormen were friendly and welcoming. The cocktails were presented very well and tasted sublime. So onto my big question would I go back? That'll be a big YES

I would like to share my bad experience at your establishment. During my last visit, a barmaid was particularly unpleasant: she spoke in a curt and impolite manner, without taking the time to listen to customers or respond properly to their requests. We clearly felt like we were intruding, as if we were a nuisance. This lack of respect and professionalism seriously detracts from the atmosphere of the bar. It's a real shame, because the place itself has potential. I hope this can be taken into account to improve the welcome in the future. In the photo is the person concerned.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 – Great vibes and even better cocktails! Had an amazing night at Be At One in Birmingham, and a big part of that was thanks to Adam behind the bar. From the moment we arrived, he brought such a fun, welcoming energy – super friendly, professional, and clearly passionate about what he does. His cocktail-making skills were on point – every drink was perfectly mixed and tasted incredible. He even made some great recommendations based on what we liked, and nailed it every time. If you're heading to Be At One, keep an eye out for Adam – he's a total vibe and will 100% elevate your night. Highly recommend! 🍸🙌

Booked for a hen do, service initially was great have 3 tables booked out. Girl on the door was amazing. However, one of our party ordered a cocktail, it tasted off and smelt awful, we spoke to two of the ‘managers’ that said it was fine, one tried it and said it was fine. No replacement drink offered, the drink was undrinkable. Had to pay for a different drink. Which would have been understandable if she had drank the original, however was genuinely undrinkable. One of the ‘managers’ made a comment ‘we won’t serve sex on the beach tonight’ which suggests they were aware of an issue. Considering there are 20 of us, the offer of replacing that drink would have kept us here We left our Booking early and won’t be back. Appalling service. The rest of the cocktails are drinkable but aren’t the best in Birmingham tbh

I’ve been to this pub a few times now, love it as it has lots of real ciders on all year. On this visit it has 11 on. This pub is easy to miss as the entrance is small so you can easily walk past it. Just as good one year on! Visited April 2024 and loved Tilt. Back this April and we came in twice on our trip to Birmingham. Great range of beers which my partner enjoyed. As someone who doesn’t drink I was very happy to find the vault city AF sour in the fridge. Good range of beers in the fridge to takeaway. Also had an oat latte and hot chocolate - both were so good! Definitely try a hot chocolate. Lots of different pinball machines. Friendly staff!

Have seen this place in the local news and on social media a few times, it looked fun and I was in the vicinity so thought I'd pop in. There's three floors of pinball machines and seating, and craft beers on tap. I started off with a few games on the foo fighters machine, which was great as it pumped out some of their best work while I played, and gave the extra incentive to play better and longer! After that, I chilled out with a few beers, and got my wife a couple of coffees in. We went during a quiet time, and were served by the owner who I quietly recognised from media I'd previously seen. Service was friendly and courteous. A few times he offered to bring our drinks to our table. My wife enjoyed the coffee, it looked and smelt great to me. I tried three different pints, but you can buy various smaller measures, which is handy as the beer is definitely not cheap, ranging from £5.60 to £24 for a pint! The three I had were lovely though. It's the kind of place that's definitely worth checking out at least once as a great experience, but not somewhere I could see myself regularly visiting. I came in ready with pound coins for the machines, but I believe they sort you out with change at the counter if you're not as well prepared.

Craft beer bar and pinball gallery. Set in lovely old arcade. Very basic seating and facilities. Some very good craft beers were on at reasonable prices. (Some special US beers were the most expensive I've ever seen in UK). About 20 pinball machines in very good working condition. Clearly a specialist place - but hard to beat for beer & pinball.
Doug N — Google review
Love this bar. Never really played pinball before but a big fan of old school arcade games. Went here for a change on a night out with the wife and have been back several times. Three floors of pinball machines from very new ones like Jaws to old classics like the Addams Family. Have taken various friends and my kids and everyone loves it. If you are bored of all the obvious places give tilt a try. :)
Marcus M — Google review
Brilliant bar with a fine selection of craft beer and pinball machines! New pinball machines on the ground floor and classic 90"s tables on the first floor. All in great condition and played very well. £1 for one game, £3 for three games, great value. The beer was super as well with an interesting selection on offer. Prices were reasonable for the quality on offer. Overall a great bar and well worth popping in.
David W — Google review
Great little bar/cafe. Have lots of pinball machines to play with even though there like 30+ pinballs, they do have plenty of tables if you want to sit down. Bearing in mind you still need to pay coins for the machine. I say it's great fun to start your night or even taking the kids there while yourself having a nice cold pint. Drinks menu is interesting with different types and seasons drinks however it isn't a pint you neck down in 5 min as it pretty pricey. 8/10
Edwould Z — Google review
Fantastic Pinball bar offering a superb range of craft beers on tap, in cans and in bottles. All styles of beers on offer, whether you like IPAs, sour beers or big heavy stouts! If you're not in the mood for a beer, there's a range of other drinks on offer, plus some pretty delicious coffee and cakes! Vibe is super chilled and the staff are very knowledgeable about the machines and the beers. Pinball machines are beautifully maintained and range from vintage 90s machines upstairs to brand new machines on the ground floor. Well recommended if you like the sound of a bar with equally well curated machines and beers alike!

We stumbled across ( and not into) this cocktail bar by chance, in Birmingham city centre. It was a busy Saturday afternoon, and The Fox and Chance appeared fairly quiet. We were escorted to a table and were informed that it was table service, which saves from queuing at a bar. They have quite an extensive cocktail menu along with the normal other types of beverages you would expect to see. As soon as we were seated, we were given a glass of water, and this was constantly topped up, which was extremely welcome. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly. There was a lovely relaxed atmosphere, and it's definitely a place we shall return to again.

Lovely chilled place for a drink. When we arrived we were shown to a table (offered different options) and waiter explained how it is table service. We ordered wine and it was lovely and priced on par with other bars around. Water on the table was regularly topped up. Music was playing but not too loud. Great little chilled place, would come back again to try the cocktails.

Cosy location very friendly staff and tasty cocktails. The setting is also nice. Prices range. Between £9 & £14. But you do have to pay an unannounced service fee @ £6. Which was not the case at the other bars in Birmingham

A hidden gem! We walked past and thought we'd give it a try for a cocktail, I fancied an espresso martini which the bar staff were more than happy to make, my partner has a few cocktails which he enjoyed. Staff were so attentive refilling water and checking how we were. Would absolutely recommend

Nestled in the vibrant Custard Factory, KILO|ZIRO Cafe Bar & Refill Taproom is a hidden gem that deserves your attention. This stylish bar, crafted by the team behind The Clean Kilo supermarket, boasts an impressive selection of local craft beers on tap and a unique zero-waste cocktail menu that aligns with their sustainability ethos.
This is the best afternoon tea in Birmingham hands down! We booked last minute and the staff were very accommodating. Everything is very unique, and the scones are huge and warm. Great selection of drinks with free refills of tea, and the service was super friendly. The ingredients are locally sourced and the savoury items were delicious, way better than standard boring sandwiches! The sweet items were the perfect amount of sweetness, and not sickly sweet. Was also pleasantly surprised that the scones were an entire separate “course”, but it wasn’t too much portion wise, which was great. I would come back here again for sure.

Best afternoon we have had ❤️ I booked and afternoon tea for me and my mum, we turned off and were seated then all of the menu and extras were explained to us. The afternoon tea itself was so yummy, nothing like the usual sandwiches, pastries were warm and flavourful. The scones came out after, they were warm and pre-cut for us so no mess (the small things!) and came with clotted cream and jam. We didn't feel rushed and enjoyed a glass of wine after. Staff were lovely, very chilled atmosphere. Will certainly go back!

We celebrated our wedding party in Kilo Zero, and I would say our experience was incredibly amazing. The place is indeed beautiful, so we didn't get stressed with the set-up. It is truly a good venue for special events, and the most important thing is that they have the nicest and most helpful staff. Kudos to Jamie and Mark, who've been very nice and helpful. We really appreciate you two. Thank you so much for staying with us from the start to the end of our party.

22 of us attended KiloZiro for our friend’s 50th birthday celebrations. We had the most amazing time! The booking process was easy, the owner Jeanette was very accommodating and was contactable, which when organising an event for that many people when you’re not used to it, it’s very reassuring. The Signature afternoon tea was delicious, very in sync with the season and venue. It was a nice touch that the servers kindly explained where our food was sourced and how this contributes to sustainability. The servers were always available and checked on us multiple times, no one was without a drink or waiting for anyone to come over. It was a beautiful afternoon and a perfect setting for a catch up with friends and an opportunity to celebrate a special day. Thank you so much :)

Really delicious afternoon tea for a special occasion, the choices are something a bit different to what you might usually get (no finger sandwiches!) but it was super tasty and a good talking point. Very generous as well for the price including a drink. Service was great and very flexible dealing with us as a larger group.

Hosted a private party at Kilo Ziro and they were absolutely amazing. The bar is so tastefully decorated and stylish. The owners couldn’t be any more accommodating helping us sort out catering, decor and a saxophonist! In the run up to the event the team were great answering questions and getting all the information they needed. On the night they were amazing - friendly bar staff, bespoke delicious cocktails and a really good vibe. Would really recommend for private hire but also look forward to returning to try some of their delicious cocktails! We had the best night ever - thank you Kilo Ziro

I visited here on a recent visit to Birmingham. I'd heard about their vegan, Christmas, afternoon tea menu via Birmingham Vegans fb group. The servers were v.friendly and met all of our needs, checking if there were any allergies. We ate mini bites with tea and alcoholic beverages, too. In the bathroom, it advertises special events occurring throughout the week. I'd revisit this restaurant.
Tessa S — Google review
Delicious cocktails lovingly crafted by the extremely knowledgeable and friendly bar staff. It also boasts a wide selection of craft beer and wine. The cheeseboard was phenomenal, the olives were to die for, and the artisan truffles were probably the most pleasurable things I've ever put in my mouth. There's a lot of passion in this place, and it certainly shows. Can't recommend it enough. Happy birthday, guys!

Bar Ikigai is a charming cocktail haven nestled in the suburbs of Birmingham, drawing inspiration from Japan's vibrant Izakaya culture. This cozy spot invites you to unwind with its laid-back atmosphere and an impressive selection of drinks that highlight seasonal Japanese ingredients like yuzu, miso, and sake. The cocktail menu offers a delightful mix of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options, ensuring there's something for everyone.
We visited on a Saturday afternoon soon after it opened to celebrate our anniversary. We bought our little one in as well, which was not an issue as their licence allows children during certain hours. The cocktails were delicious and the menu was interesting to look through. The guys serving us were friendly and helpful when choosing, as there is plenty to choose from. Unfortunately it was only us in there at the time so it was lacking a bit of an atmosphere, regardless I look forward to coming back and trying more!

The atmosphere is very beautiful- finally a spacious bar in Birmingham!! The service is professional, very kind and friendly and presented every cocktail nicely. All the cocktails are amazing. The black honey is one of the best cocktails I 've ever had (I like sweet). I'm definitely coming again to taste more cocktails.

Beautiful bar, unique aesthetic and tasty cocktails. Definitely would recommend a visit - the service was lovely and the explanation of the origins of each drink and presentation were exquisite. Will be visiting again soon.

Fantastic cocktails. The venue is lovely, and more spacious than the old JQ spot. Really thoughtful menu, with a clear rationale behind each drink. We had - Kintsugi - wild garlic margarita (special) - Noh - Shikki Clean, well made, and warm service too. Highly recommend. Also, dog friendly.

Amazing attention to detail and taste. We were amazed at the flavours in the cocktails. The guy who owns this place sure does know his stuff. Super enthusiastic and knowledgeable. We didn't really know what to expect, but loved the experience. Will definitely be visiting again as soon as we go back to Birmingham. Thanks 👍

Amazing cocktails, like nothing you’d find in your standard bar. EXTREMELY knowledgeable staff, knew everything. A rare find not to be missed!

Came here for drinks before an anniversary dinner and so glad we did. Ollie really took care of us, bringing out some prosecco to celebrate and wishing us a happy anniversary. He was super friendly and answered all the questions I had about the place. Amazing to know these guys have done so well even though they started in between lockdowns! The cocktails here are delicious, each different to the last and all tasting fantastic. All come with their own story to add that little bit more to the drink. The vibe inside was intimate due to the small venue but this only added to the character of the bar, which we really liked. Overall we really enjoyed out experience here, leaving happy and tipsy! All the best to Bar Ikigai staff for their move in November!

Love the great Japanese bar which can make any cocktail on Tokyo Station menu map into a mocktail for me. Luke the owner has plenty of great stories behind his drink making concoctions. A must visit as it's quite the hidden gem in JQ

The atmosphere and decoration of this place is simply amazing. Definitely worth a visit just to see the interior. The service was also very friendly and professional. Briefly mentioned that we were celebrating a birthday and the staff in charge of us remembered and gave us a free birthday snack and a handwritten message. The food was very delicious. Strongly recommend the salmon. The sides were also very good was definitely worth ordering. The food is on the expensive side, but definitely worth it for an occasion for its food, atmosphere, and service.

Arrived early and enjoyed a really nice champagne cocktail at the bar. Exceptional service. Went for friends birthday. The sparkler and cookie at the end was wonderful. Such a shame that the dessert let you down! Service was amazing (thank you Mo!). Starter and main so nice, for all of us (party of 3). Beautiful setting, luxurious. But if you’re serving a sticky toffee pudding make sure it’s aligned with the price point. It just wasn’t. Sorry to say, as everything else was excellent. The lemon pudding was amazing, so it’s a bit of a shame that one pudding let you down. (It was dry and tasteless).

Came here for birthday lunch. Lovely team, professional and friendly. Every single dish we had was delicious. The prawn cracker was a little too spicy for me though. We had the most amazing experience at Tattu Birmingham! Megan was absolutely lush. She genuinely couldn’t do enough for us. She made our night feel really special. The food was insane. We went to Tattu Birmingham on October 30 and we got the Emperor’s Choice between the two of us. It involved a set of starter, a set of mains and a dessert that our waitress mentioned contains most of Tattu’s signature dishes! The food was amazing, full of flavour and well presented! There were lots of options for drinks and seems to be a specially curated experience. Atmosphere is pleasant and relaxing. Service was exceptional! We had Vahbiz who was just excellent. She was attentive, friendly, charismatic and made sure we got all what we wanted and needed throughout the night! Would definitely recommend and at different times of the year as they seem to have seasonal dishes and drinks!

A really enjoyable lunch with my eldest daughter, who ate lightly but enjoyed a 241 cocktail. I had a taste and can confirm it was vibrant pleasure. We came all the way from Wales for a night out in Birmingham before the Lewis Capaldi show. The food and cocktails were excellent, and our personal waiter was absolutely fantastic. Unfortunately, the overall vibe of the place let us down. It was hard to ignore how unhappy the rest of the staff seemed — it genuinely felt like they didn’t want to be there, which dulled what should have been a lively, fun evening. Such a shame, because with amazing food, great drinks, and a brilliant waiter, this could have been a perfect night out. A little warmth and friendliness from the team would have made all the difference. Other customers we spoke with felt the same — a simple smile and welcoming attitude goes a long way.

Came here to eat, rather than stay. We hadn't booked a table but fortunately there was space for our visit. We went for a bottomless brunch and as we really enjoyed it the last time unfortunately the drinks were taking at least half an hour to make between each round i said to the manger and she was quite sarcastic with me then we got our food my chicken was completely raw and when i spoke to the manager again she told me it was the marinade and i said i know the difference between cooked meat and non cooked meat she said to me that the kitchen probe all of the food and all of our food was cold as well as she took another raw burger off our table and gave it back with her hair in the chips which at this point i was not happy as the manager didnt really seem to care about the situation and turned around and said she cant please us and said she was not gonna serve us anymore awful place i would not recommend the place lost a lot of money on out booking of 14 bottomless brunches

Went to The Alchemist for girls night out and as always, the drinks did not disappoint. I absolutely love the theatrics of their cocktails – they really create a unique, hands-on drinking experience that makes it more than just a drink, it’s a whole vibe. The food was stunning! We ordered a variety of dishes, all beautifully presented and super tasty. A couple of things that let the night down slightly: we were seated in a more secluded area, which felt a bit disconnected from the lively atmosphere. Also, the downstairs bar – which looks amazing – wasn’t open, which was a big letdown. Service was a bit slow too; we had to flag down staff a few times. That said, we still had a great night overall. It’s always a cool spot for a fun evening out.

Went to the Alchemist today with my sister and wanted to leave a review, particularly for our server Eva! She was just amazing!!! She was super friendly and helpful (particularly as we had so many questions on recommendations etc). She was amazing!! Food wise it was good. We tried the AFC flatbread which was really good and the fried fish dish. Though the rice was a tad watery, Eva and the manager handled that very well for my sister! Would always recommend coming here!

We recently dined at Siamais restaurant and had a truly wonderful experience. The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. The atmosphere was vibrant and stylish, creating the perfect setting for a relaxed and enjoyable evening. A special mention goes to our waiter, Pedro, who made our visit even more memorable. He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful when it came to recommending dishes and drinks. His warm personality and excellent service added so much to our overall experience. We were thoroughly impressed and will definitely be coming back again and again. Highly recommended!

I received prompt and professional service from Pedro and was seated immediately. The service and atmosphere were excellent. We ordered red duck curry, pad Thai, sweet and sour chicken, and green beef curry. All dishes exceeded expectations. Pedro was amazing

Went here for food on a Sunday afternoon, was fairly quiet at this time but service from out host was very good. Food was very tasty and presented very well, their was a lot of different options on the menu as well. The brunch here doesn't offer much in terms of cocktails so I wouldn't suggest this. But this is a lovely setting to go to as a nice date night with a partner & is located near a load of nice bars in Brindley place. The only real problem was it was pretty pricey but that is birmingham I suppose. Definitely recommend this place.

We had an early dinner before heading to Cench’s concert. The food was delicious, and the service from the waitresses was excellent. The bill included a service charge, but it was worth it for the great service. *P.S. The toilet was very clean, can’t go wrong with a clean restroom when it comes to restaurant hygiene.

My first time here. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and music. Attentive staff and a great recommendation of the King Prawns in Tom Yum sauce. The prawns were perfectly cooked and sauce was very tasty. Recommended as a place for Thai.

Great vibe at this lovely Thai restaurant. Ashanti has been really attentive and as it’s to celebrate my friend’s birthday, they offered us a nice shot on the house. Loved my crab cakes and mango salad. Will visit again for its cocktails !

The aesthetics look good. Was quiet when went in but didn’t mind it as it was lunch. The food was okay but the sauces where the star if show. I’m particular about noodles, they were good but not my cup of tea as more of a thick noodle type but that’s on me as thought try thinner noodles.

Came in for late dinner on Saturday and managed to get a table without reservation. The service was excellent and I loved the atmosphere, great for cocktails or pre drinks. Everything was delicious, my favourite was the Tom Yum soup.

Cocktail bar
Qavali Indo-Persian Restaurant & Cocktail Bar is a refined dining spot that offers a unique blend of Indo-Persian cuisine in an eco-chic setting. The restaurant takes inspiration from Qawwali culture, incorporating culinary specialties from Iran, Turkey, Afghanistan, Persia, and India. With a focus on halal options, the menu features delectable dishes like Hyderabadi Biryani and Persian scrambled eggs.
We had a lovely evening at Qavali. The round tables and seating is great as it provides each table with some privacy and adds to the dining experience. The food was great, everything came exceptionally presented and well cooked with very little to critique. There were a nice range of cocktails with unique flavour combinations. The service was discreet and ok overall. I would recommend the grand platter - the meats were all tender and and each item had a delicious and unique flavour. It's big enough to service 3-4 people with sides.

This restaurant was absolutely phenomenal. Top tier, next level place! The best Indian i've had!! Incredible flavour, friendly staff, they even have a bible for the amazing cocktails they have, with detailed description. The ones we had were pretty sweet, but was a great contrast to the spice within the dishes. I'm not from from here, and would likely return to Birmingham just for this restaurant alone. The other comments seem to be missing the point of this place, as its a fusion of dishes, not just an Indian restaurant. We did attened on a fairly quiet tea time, as they had just opened. Seriously hard to criticise anything about our particular visit.

Upmarket Indian / Persian restaurant with cocktail bar. Taster menu £65 (veggie £55). Beer £6 per pint. Mains from £14. Plenty of very attentive staff. Kai was excellent

We recently visited to celebrate a family birthday, and from the moment we walked in, I was immediately impressed by the ambience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff were genuinely welcoming, promptly guiding us to our table. One of the first things that stood out to me was the incredible attention to detail, from the elegant table setup to the quality of the cutlery, everything felt thoughtfully curated. The menu was quite extensive, which initially made it hard to choose, but thankfully our friendly waiter, Shank, was extremely helpful in guiding us through the options. Overall, I’d rate the food a solid 4.3 out of 5. The only slight drawback was the wait time for our starters, this felt long considering the restaurant wasn't too busy when we arrived. Value for money: we were pleasantly surprised. The prices were reasonable and made the entire experience feel even more worthwhile. All in all, it was an amazing experience, one of the rare occasions I’ve felt compelled to give a restaurant a 5* rating. I’m already looking forward to returning for another celebration!

It’s all in the ambience. Nice place to sit. Very posh. Good service. Food is okayish, nothing wow. Or just didn’t hit the taste buds. But it was a good day out with the girls and some nice photos. We had most of the stuff from grill section. The wings were good with chicken qeema. Masala fish was okay, its sauce was yummy, the changeezi chicken was bland. Lahori karahi was tasteless too. The mezze platter was nice.

I visited Qavali for the afternoon tea experience and it was absolutely phenomenal! From start to finish, everything was perfect. The atmosphere was beautiful and relaxing, the staff were so polite, friendly and welcoming, always serving with a smile. The food itself was absolutely delicious – every bite was full of flavour and beautifully presented. We also had unlimited tea and coffee, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. I even had a complimentary baklava and a non alcoholic mocktail as it was a a birthday celebration. I truly loved every moment and would highly recommend Qavali to anyone looking for a special afternoon tea with outstanding service. Can’t wait to visit again!

Unique venue and attentive service, with decent food. The booths are comfy and create a nice atmosphere. We got 50% off food through First Table for arriving at 5pm, so good value overall.

Purecraft Bar & Kitchen, located in Birmingham's financial district on Waterloo Street, is a popular spot offering a wide selection of real ales and over 100 bottled beers. The modern industrial setting is partly thanks to local legends Purity Brewing Co., who are behind the city center's chic atmosphere. Despite its extensive beer menu, it also caters to gin enthusiasts and serves up tasty surprises from their drinks list.
If you love beer, this a must try place for their selection of beers! They also have a selection of finger food that taste extremely good and I tried the espresso martini, which was delicious. Definitely a bar to try if you’re visiting Birmingham. May have to reserve as it gets quite crowded in the nights.
SHAMEENA R — Google review
Popped in for a couple of pints before a social event elsewhere. Friendly service, great beer at a reasonable price for the location. Also very nice and polished looking inside. The lady behind the bar asked if I was planning to get through each beer, and believe me, I'd have loved to! But I just went for the two I was sure I'd like most. They don't pack as much of a punch as other similar beers, but they make up for it with flavour.

We had a nice lunch of fish and chips. We stopped by here several times on this trip. The service was excellent. The primary beer options were from Purity Brewing. Toilets were clean.

I’m glad this bar has remained an entry in the Good Beer Guide; they’ve kept their prices down but the quality of the ale remains as good as ever. Make the most of it while you can!

Nice bar, good atmosphere and really lovely staff! Gotta say I was disappointed with the chicken burger - £16 for a pretty tasteless breaded fillet and not a large portion size either. But the other food & drinks in our group were good, great selection of craft beers (including alcohol-free/0%. And like I said, really nice staff. Overall good lunch spot.

The staff were absolutely lovely, very friendly and accommodating. The food however was overcomplicated. The bacon on the bacon cheeseburger had little to no taste and the sauce ruined any flavour the actual burger had. Great space though for large groups, though the cellar was chilly so might not be so great as it gets colder.

I am here on a Friday at 13 hours, not noisy, not busy, just the right atmosphere for a quick bite and the chance to chat with your friends and/or family. I ordered the cheese and steak sandwich. It was fine, nothing fancy, nothing extravagant, a very simple sandwich, I'd say. I was surprised by the fact that it seems to have cream instead of mayo, not sure if this is the way they do things here, I'm not from the UK. Service was great. The waiter was fast, friendly, attentive. The food also took a very short time to arrive. Overall, I spent 22£ for a sandwich with fries and a beer, not bad.

Great event at Telford today with some amazing vendors... so far we've tried Libertine Burgers, Authentic Argentine BBQ and Bayleys Craft Beers, with great soundtrack in the back ground

Visited the event at Warwick Castle. Great event with a wide variety of food and drink stands. However limited choice if you have an allergy especially a gluten allergy. You do have to pay for your ticket and then the food when you are there including drinks, which does make it an expensive evening out.

Visited DDC at the waterfront on Friday evening. Lots to choose from and a good atmosphere. We decided on: Deathrow sandwich 1 beef sandwich 1 spicy chicken sandwich Both with fries. Yardbirds Yardbird burger with fries Disco fries Tikka Turner fries Flat donut Cinnamon dusted We also had a few beers at Booze. All the food was great but loses a star as I do think its overpriced for what you get. That wouldn't stop me returning to future events though as I do like the variety of vendors and overall atmosphere of DDC.

Fantastic street food setup! A great way to discover new cuisines and try different street food establishments. I love that it promotes a variety of cuisines and always gets such a great turnout. Definitely the best place to go for street food in the Midlands. I attended the one held at Coventry cathedral ruins, which had a great array of vendors, a DJ and a lovely cathedral back drop. Had some amazing street food from Cleopatra's Kitchen Solihull (best middle Eastern food I've eaten) and beef on the block (beautifully cooked tender melt in the mouth steak).
Michael R — Google review
DDC at Warwick Castle, 12th September 2025. First time attending. Ok-ish selection of food vendors and went there with an appetite and an equal high expectation. However, what realy, really let it down was simply not enough places to sit. That, I feel is a cynical way for the organisers to 'keep people moving'. The seating that was available and unoccupied had been ruthlessly colonised in the same way people put towels on deck chairs. I don't mind paying a lot of money for good, plentiful, tasty food - of which I am sure there was available last night - but faced with paying £14 for a Biryani and having to stand up and eat it...........nah, sorry. Not happening. So, I finished the single £6.50 pint of lager I purchased and went back into town to sit down and eat there. Won't be attending this one again. Total outlay including admission = £14.50. Total time on site = 37 mins. Waste of money really.

Well organised. Parking is paid but plentiful. Park was constantly being monitored to clear up litter. Great choice of food & drink. Some long queues (especially for the toilets!!). Great for kids & taking your well behaved dogs. Weather was fab which always helps

Really cool experience, £2 entry fee and 3 bars with different themes/music. The food trucks/stalls change all the time and they list the changes online. You don't need cash, most of the stalls take card. Really enjoyed ourselves will definitely visit next time we're in Birmingham again.

Had a fantastic afternoon here. My toddler merrily dances away to the music, the atmosphere was incredible. We ate nearly everywhere between us and shared it all, this was our list of vendors in favourite order: 1. Urban Cheesecake - terrys chocolate orange with brownie bits. Quite literally out of this world. 2. Only Jerkin - jerk chicken and fries 3. Jade Rabbit - chicken in a cone (just wow) 4. Disco Fries - pizza one is really good 5. Whatever the pizza one was there. 6. Patty Freakz - unfortunately did disappoint the patty was burnt.

Awful! Would have give no stars. It was so quiet yet we waited about 50 minutes for substandard food, which tastes like ot had been cooked in the dirtiest fat ever! I can still taste it. We were given no cutlery, no serviettes and they gave us 2 sachets of sauce and salt and vinegar for 4 people. The toilets were so dirty. The bins were rusty and there was mold around the sinks. I.would not bother!!!

Intriguing place great atmosphere and packed pre kick off. Dirty fries were good. Service with a smile. But the cocktails were over elaborate and pricey but it was like drinking fruit juice. Alcohol felt absent.

Awful experience and wouldn’t recommend going! I was served by 3 different people and their service from all of them was terrible. I asked to speak to the manager and I saw her roll her eyes and she came off her phone to come over to speak to me. You walk into the venue and you feel as though you’re an inconvenience being there yet we are paying high prices for drinks. Wouldn’t go back. Would suggest to anyone else to avoid this place at all costs. Very poorly run
Samantha K — Google review
Drinks although lovely are very expensive and not always worth the price. Some staff often try and encourage you to have a gin cocktail worth £8 when you ask for a standard gin and tonic. The food is surprisingly good and reasonably priced. Seating both indoors and outdoors so it's a good place to visit all year round. Outdoor seating is very pretty and indoor seating is a bit quirky.

Booked in for bottomless brunch. Was running a tad late and tried multiple times to call and no answer. Despite this when we arrived we were greeted by the friendliest of staff. Nat and Rhi I believe their names were. Informed us on how the evening will run and kept drinks flowing. They even acknowledged my dietary requirements so thank you. Had a chat with staff about your own infused gins which are to die for, didn’t mind paying extra to try them. Although limited on the bottomless drinks it’s definitely great value for money and will definitely be returning. UPDATE: Went again for another bottomless brunch. X10 better. Shannon and Natalia this time around we’re wonderful. Many more cocktail selections to choose from. And dietary requirements were still catered for. This is our new fave brunch place🍹 I’ll be back!

The bottomless booze options include prosecco and a variety of cocktails.
We couldn’t thank them enough! We came in today to celebrate our anniversary and were treated to an incredible afternoon tea. We had originally planned a weekend away, but due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to reschedule. I called Noel this morning and was assisted by Monia over the phone—she was understanding, patient, and wonderfully polite. My wife had her heart set on afternoon tea, and even though bookings usually require 24 hours’ notice, they kindly accommodated us and prepared a fantastic vegetarian afternoon tea. The venue itself is beautiful, with a lovely location, a welcoming atmosphere, excellent service, and beautifully presented, delicious food. We are truly grateful and will definitely return with family and friends. A well-deserved 5 stars!

We went on a Wednesday evening (7-10pm) so it was quite empty. We had the view of the canal which was nice. The decor is absolutely stunning as a the toilets although they could’ve done with some regular cleaning. The food was good, although it would’ve been nice to have desserts, I didn’t see any on the menu. The mocktails were really nice too. It came up to £110 for 2 of us (2 starters, 2 mains, 3 drinks). The food took a while to come out though otherwise, the staff were really nice and polite

Absolutely blown away by this place. The decor is smart. The restaurant is warm and clean. The toilets are maintained. As soon as we walked in, the staff were so polite and friendly. We were seated immediately. Shout out to Laila for her fantastic service. As usual I go for the caviar, unfortunately the one I wanted wasn't available. Fortunately I had an upgrade to a better caviar of the same size. My night was made!!!! The food was stunning! Just delicious! Every single course was to die for! The steak, the Tartare, the oysters, the caviar, scallops, all just PERFECT. I can't rate this place enough. We will DEFINITELY be back!!!

Noels Bar – Best Italian Restaurant in Birmingham! Noels is hands down the best Italian fine dining spot in Birmingham. It’s a shame the location isn’t more central because I truly believe more people need to discover this hidden gem. The food was incredible, the atmosphere was elegant, and the service from Wicktoria was outstanding – she made the whole experience for my mom even more special. Highly recommend!

We were coming to a concert in Birmingham and planned somewhere to eat. Noels sounded just right; pleasant location next to the canal and the menu looked enticing. We were not disappointed. The restaurant is light and airy in a sophisticated way, the waiters were fabulously helpful and pleasant and the food was stunningly good. It was a more expensive restaurant than we might usually go to but it was worth it as an exceptional experience. While we were expecting our table to be available for an hour and a half, we were able to stay for over 2 hours. Our waiter checked when it was needed so we knew how to pace ourselves. They do charge for service (not stated as voluntary) but the service was very good. We had appetisers of olives and bruschetta followed by the best rib eye steak ever with perfectly crisp and tasty chips . My companion had rump of lamb which she declared as delicious. These were accompanied by a lovely bottle of Italian primitivo. We finished witt the most perfect puddings ever; an apple / chocolate mousse and a mixed fresh fruit tart, with coffee to conclude. If you are in Birmingham and want a stunning meal then we wholeheartedly recommend Noels.

The Great Western is a charming and historic pub located near the train station in Wolverhampton. It's a hidden gem filled with railway memorabilia and Wolverhampton Wanderers artifacts, making it a must-visit for fans of trains and football alike. The pub offers a traditional atmosphere with open fires, neat dining areas, and an interesting conservatory. Visitors can enjoy real ales, guest beers, and real cider along with bargain homemade food.
One of my must-visit real ale pubs whenever I visit Wolverhampton. Good range of Holdens & guest ales always in super condition (fast turnover). Bitter 3.80, Mild 3.60. Tasty pub grub at very reasonable prices. Always busy but plenty of staff to keep things running smoothly. Real fires are a bonus.

Had a great time at GW on Saturday, unfortunately for me by the time I arrived Faggotts had sold out so I opted for two sides, both were excellent and very filling. Even though it was a busy Saturday afternoon the staff were all very friendly. It was my first time here and it definitely won't be the last, I highly recommend it to anyone in the area.
Jake — Google review
I have arrived in Wolverhampton and my first stop was the Great Western. I have never been to this pub before, but many say it is the best pub in the city and I can see why. They have a nice selection of Black Country Ales, mostly Holden's because it is one of their pubs. However, I am started first with a Bathams Bitter, but had the Holden's Mild next, which I enjoyed more. Sadly, I don't think Bathams is as good as it used to be, and this was no fault of the Great Western. I make that comment even after recently drinking it at the brewery tap. The pub has good reasonably priced proper pub food. I went for the faggots, but couldn't decide on chips or mash, so I was grateful that I was allowed me to have half and half, knowing that in the past a different Black Country pub offered half rice and half chips with their curry. Black Country faggots are the real deal. You will never go back to frozen Brains faggots 😃 The pub is handy for the railway station and they have a large car park next door. They even have a screen in the corner of one room which shows the live train departure times, which must be useful for train traveller. There are several rooms, including a large conservatory at the back. The Great Western is very friendly and welcoming, including to dogs. My meal and pint was £14.75, both very enjoyable. Definitely recommended for both the excellent food, especially the proper Black Country faggots, and for a great selection of ales. The cobs also looked very nice, but having just eaten a meal I resisted.

In my top ten of UK pubs, and I've done a fair few in my time... A classic corner place, obviously a survivor of a much more populous street in days gone by, owned by Holden's. Simple, basic bar with a long area behind which looks a bit like a station waiting room, first class! Plenty of photos and items of railway interest, if you need something to look at whilst supping your excellent Holden's or Bathams bitter, the mild was particularly good. Use them to wash down a huge cob from the display at the end of the bar, which are big and full, even by black country standards! It's always good to revisit somewhere you used to frequent a fair bit in years gone by and find it's just as good, if not better, than it was then... The approach down the cobbled hill under the railway arch is about as good a lead up as you'll get, too. Overall, I quite like it.... 😀
Gazza P — Google review
A must visit. Is this the best pub in Wolvo town centre, its certainly one of two and personal choice. This one has a more extensive line up of Holdens than others, glad to sèe and sample Mild and Old Ale both superbly kept. Didnt see Bathams on even though Real Ale Finder it was updated that day. I could happily walk in alone and not feel out of place, this will be a regular.
Jon H — Google review
Cracking GWR themed bar that we found in the off-chance from watching a Wolverhampton pub crawl video on YouTube. Located less than a four minute walk from the railway station (turn left at the exit, walk past the taxis, turn right then an immediate left onto a narrow road, and just beyond the bridge it's there in front of you). First time I've seen Brennan's Irish Stout on tap before, which imo is a smoother pint than Guinness. Good prices, plenty of choices of food and drinks, plus a large conservatory area to sit in as well as standard seating. A great place to decant yourself for the afternoon/evening, or both, I'd imagine.

The Royal London is a bustling and popular pub located in the Royal London building, known for its Edwardian baroque architecture. It's a student-friendly spot with big-screen TVs for sports, retro games, and pool tables. The bar hosts student quiz nights and offers classic cocktails as well as real ales and unique IPA drinks.
The menu is extensive and there is lots to choose from. The mobile ordering service is brilliant and saves us time. My meal was outstanding, I loved it. The burger was cooked to perfection and the waffle fries were delicious! It is quite expensive but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Loved this so much great food great staff great people first time I had food here and it was absolutely 10 out of 10 the young man that served the food was very polite and very nice. Well recommend staff are also really good. I felt so relaxed and the person that makes the food knows exactly what they’re doing loved it.❤️❤️💕✌️

Loud music, overpriced, and no quiet corners... Greatly inferior to Spoons. The lack of explicit vegan options on the menu is unacceptable - every section of the menu should have at least 1 or 2 options which are 100% plant-based.

Lovely atmosphere for a family catchup. Really nice food reasonably priced beer. Also darts and pool to play.

The Royal London is a very popular pub they have a wide range of beers, lagers, and cider, including four hand pulled cask conditioned real ales on when we visited. The real ale was in excellent condition. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the service was quick despite it being a match day and the pub being packed out with football fans. We didn't have anything to eat, so i could not comment on the food.

Excellent service and very friendly staff. I was served by a member of staff named Emily and she was very polite and helpful. The food is always great quality and cooked to the perfect standard. There are variety of services as well including pool facilities, a range of seasonal events and live viewings of sports.

Four of us had the bottomless brunch which was great. I did have difficulty booking as you have to pre-book, however the link on Facebook messenger didn't have the pub listed on it. The staff were great and let us have the offer without having pre-booked. I hadn't been in the Royal London for some time, they still have a few pool tables and SkySports on the Tele. The food was lovely & we were well looked after.

Grand Station is an award-winning CAMRA pub that welcomes dogs in its outdoor area, making it a great spot for dog owners. The venue also serves as a stunning location for wedding receptions, with dedicated coordinators like Mia and Hani who ensure a seamless and stress-free experience. Despite some initial hiccups, the team's attention to detail and passion shine through, creating a beautiful setting for special events.
We had our wedding here, it was amazing. The staff worked so hard to make this such a special day. The food was really good. A huge shout out to Hani our event manager he was brilliant ensuring the day went perfectly. Hani made sure we was both happy and had plenty of time for just us. Even taking us off to spent quality time together, Hani is a true credit to Grand Station! Thanks so much!!!

Well, starting with the positives, all due credit and huge huge thanks has to 100% go to Hani. He saw our vision, and with me being a Project Manager as Hani indeed is, he knew my thoughts, processes and fears. He kept us calm and fully explained everything. He looked after us all day from start to end ensuring we had drinks and food and orchestrated timings beautifully and to our expectations. The Grand Station truly has a great asset and loyal dedicated caring employee which you should be proud of. The food, the service the care and the love on the day shown through massively My only few concerns as an honest review is communications. There isn't enough of it. Left far too little and far too late leaving us quite emotionally drained and wondering what was gping on at times. From booking in September 2023 we dealt with 3 people until June 2025 where we than had a 4th person - To Emma - you picked everything up so quickly given how close we were to.our date following a previous employee who had left.Thank you for reasuring us. The handover process should have been better and that solely lies on the Mgmt teams. The apologies we got we accept but should NOT have come from the people above but from Danny and Vishkay the owner. That aside, all was good, the experience brilliant and went over and above to achieve our dream wedding so thank you. So, once again Hani, thank you for being amazing. Whatever they pay you isn't enough. Ian and Tracey

I recently attended a wedding reception at Grand Station this September, and it was truly a magical experience from start to finish. The entire team went above and beyond to ensure the day ran smoothly and beautifully — everything was perfect. You could see how much love and effort went into making sure the couple were comfortable, relaxed, and able to enjoy their special moments together. From the stunning décor and delicious food to the professionalism of the staff, everything was first-class. All the guests, myself included, couldn’t stop praising the elegant setup, seamless service, and warm atmosphere throughout the evening. If you’re considering booking Grand Station for your wedding or special event, don’t think twice — it’s an exceptional venue with an amazing team. Thank you to everyone at Grand Station for creating such a memorable and joyful celebration for all of us to share.

I cannot recommend Hani enough! From start to finish, he was the most attentive, thoughtful, and detail-oriented wedding coordinator I could have asked for. Not only did he make sure everything ran smoothly for me, but he went above and beyond to ensure my parent especially my mum were comfortable and looked after throughout the day. I had been raving about Hani to my now-husband throughout the entire wedding planning process, and the moment he finally met him, he completely understood why. Hani’s calm presence, incredible eye for detail, and genuine care made all the difference. He truly made our day seamless, stress-free, and so special. Thank you, Hani, from the bottom of our hearts you were an unforgettable part of our wedding!

Choosing Grand Station for our wedding reception was honestly the best decision we made. Throughout the whole process, the team has been so welcoming and supportive for our big day. Teejay really helped with organising the final details with suppliers as we got closer to the time. Hani has been nothing short of amazing! He has helped us since we first met him and supported us with choosing the decor for the venue that really made our vision come to life. His attention to detail was out of this world. We have had so many compliments from guests at our reception on how well the day ran and how lovely the food was. People loved the venue. Hani made the process easy and relaxing. The reception really was the perfect day thanks to the whole team!

Nestled on the fourth floor of the Park Regis Hotel, 1565 Bar & Terrace is a sophisticated and well-lit restaurant and bar offering an impressive selection of creative cocktails. Whether you're soaking up the sun or staying warm by the terrace heaters in the evening, this outdoor space provides stunning views of Birmingham. This rooftop oasis in the vibrant city center offers more than just a meal; it's a lively experience showcasing Birmingham's finest hospitality.
Stayed at the hotel about 6 months ago and had the pleasure of eating at the restaurant which was amazing. The food was top quality, well seasoned with some amazing flavours. We're staying again and I was surprised to see the 2 star reviews so felt compelled to write one.

I had the afternoon Tea here , very clean and nice quiet place to eat , afternoon tea was good , wish it had more savoury than sweet but that's just my preference
Danny W — Google review
Let’s start at the beginning. This open-air bar does not have one of the great views our planet has to offer. It does not peer over Paris, skim the skyline of Manhattan, or loom above a turquoise archipelago like some Bond villain’s lair-slash-infinity pool in the Maldives. It does not twinkle with the lights of Tokyo or frame a sunset over the Serengeti. No, this bar overlooks Birmingham. Not the quaint, canal-threaded, Cadbury-scented bits of Brum that brochures trot out when they’re trying to pass it off as a sort of midlands Milan. No. The view from the 1565 Bar and Terrace is resolutely, defiantly, unmistakably Birmingham. Concrete and cranes. A hint of the Bullring. Maybe the ghost of Ozzy Osbourne drifting past in vape mist. But here’s the thing. It doesn’t pretend to be anything other than what it is. And what it is, is a really quite nice bar. Perched on the 4th floor of the Regis Hotel (yes, I know, 4th floor – not exactly the penthouse, but it’ll do), this place is a sort of plush purgatory between corporate necessity and genuine charm. The inside bar is vast, blanketed in those big, wipe-clean tables that scream “expense account lunch” and upholstered chairs engineered for half-hour Zoom calls with Zurich. You know the sort of place. Businessmen doing business stuff. Lots of laptop tapping and murmured acronyms. But then you get to the staff – and here comes the twist in the tale. They’re… nice. Not in the robotic, smile-trained, please-fill-out-our-feedback-survey way of most hotel bars. No, they’re actually friendly. Efficient. Human. They care whether your martini is shaken properly or if your wine is cold enough not to induce rage. And that, in a hotel bar, is rarer than a Birmingham skyline without scaffolding. And the real kicker – the outside terrace. It catches the sun, you see. Not for a fleeting moment, not a single apologetic shaft of warmth that vanishes behind cloud like a hungover intern. But properly catches it. Long enough for a G&T, maybe two. It’s big, it’s breezy, and if you squint – no, not quite – but almost, you could be in a different city. One with better PR. But who needs Santorini when you’ve got this? Solid drinks. Warm service. A rooftop that doesn’t take itself too seriously. And a view that, while not beautiful, is at least honest. Which, frankly, makes a nice change. Go on. Raise a glass to Birmingham. Stranger things have happened.

***** update***** recieved a call and email from Food and Beverage Manager Tejasvi to offer a 25% discount for the next visit, did not accept, another email follow up from Tejasvi, to offer the full amount as a voucher for the next visit, when stating specific times we would like a booking he decides to book it for a completely different time but not to inform us. When chasing up to confirm the actual time we requested no email response from him at all. Would have preferred not to be emailed or called at all. Certain people in management should simply find a job role that's more suited to them. ******* Review - 1 star because i couldn’t choose zero. Actually couldn’t believe how disappointed i was after dining here. food - flavourless. prices - not worth what you’re eating... customer service - the waiter took his sweet time to order... then got there, took the order for one person at the table then darted off before having to call him back to take the rest of the order... drinks - way too strong and not tasteful at all. avoid the starters... smallest, tasteless portions, pulled from the fridge, heated for 0.1 seconds in a microwave and to top it all off... slapped with a £10 service charge. Do not recommend. Don’t be fooled by the boujee interior of the hotel.
Ria B — Google review
5/5 for bar area once you are inside.. but the car park is a complete disaster, the entrance is odd and tight and has not been designed properly, the barrier will open and hit your car so be ready to reverse once you take a ticket, the carpark spaces are tight and impossible for a larger car or suv..this car park is designed for vw ups! And fiat 500s, the signage to the hotel bar is non existent anywhere in the car park or lifts... hence 4/5. The open carpark before this structure was built was better... also the hotel has failed to reopen the rooftop bar which is astonishing.. to think in a city like bham...there is still only 1 place with a proper rooftop bar now....

A Fantastic Micro pub, always friendly staff and customers welcoming all. The only lager this place does is Amstel! At least four other ales on tap! A proper pub with great ambience and fantastic scratchings and a great range of cobs! Ciders, wine and gin is also available. You can bring your own food too! That and it’s dog friendly! Cheap as chips and proper. Just how I like it!

The Giffard Arms is a gothic-themed pub in Wolverhampton, known for its eerie yet captivating atmosphere. The interior features coffin-shaped tables, horror-themed wall illustrations, and a giant bat hovering above the outdoor area. This historic establishment boasts an extensive selection of cask ales and lagers and is dedicated to rock and metal music, with resident DJs hosting club nights on two floors.
Great boozer, brilliant private room upstairs for events, drinks are very reasonably priced and all the staff are friendly and helpful. Super quirky place with interesting bits and bobs everywhere you look. The smoking area is brilliant too, even the toilets are cool as hell.

What can I say. If you want an excellent rock music venue to hang out in, this absolutely excellent place is for you. A few mins walk from The Halls venue in Wolverhampton, it's the ideal place for a beer and chat with friends before and after the gig. Landlord is lovely and a very quick and efficient service indeed. Amazing gothic decorated place to be. Well be back for sure!

This was a brilliant pub with a fantastic atmosphere, reasonable prices and an amazing D.J. The decor is very gothic and if you like rock/metal/alt music this is definitely the place to come to. There is every type of look of people you could see from obviously rock dressed people to office staff looks to current fashion trends. Everyone was really friendly, chatty and welcoming. It was a great night and I'd recommend giving this place a visit!

Popped here before a gig at KKs. Great old school metal boozer. Friendly bar staff and top music. Only frustrating thing was jukebox was cash only as didn't have any on me.

What a gem! Great metal/alt pub with a small dance floor to flail wildly one in a vague attempt at dancing (other forms of dancing are possible but I can only talk from personal experience) It's got cool aesthetic (and a mysterious Dark Room which was closed but has great signposting) and a DJ that's happy to play requests and friendly bar staff. Overall I was hugely impressed and can't wait to visit again.

Cocktail bar
The Bohemian is a vibrant and lively spot located in Wolverhampton, paying homage to the city's Victorian past through its industrial design. The bar offers a nostalgic dining and drinking experience with bare brick walls, exposed industrial columns, and reclaimed wood features. It provides a top-notch selection of inventive drinks including tiki-themed drinks, ciders, craft ales, and creative cocktails.
Attended the Sunday Karaoke Bottomless Brunch, it was such a relaxed and fun atmosphere, the cocktails were amazing and not watered down like you find at most bottomless brunches, shots were being given out from the main menu free of charge for the duration of the bottomless, it lasted from 2-5 all included in the price, the food was also bottomless and very tasty, they even provided us with a box to take the leftovers home! Best bottomless I have ever been to! Will 100% be returning!
Chloe-mae H — Google review
The cocktail's are brilliant. The organisation of staff not so good. Said the karaoke speaker was broken. But wouldn't kick the previous customer's out the room even if we was supposed to be in there. The previous people said they was playing on it to get free drinks. Load's of free shots. But we did get compensated so not so bad. Drinks are strong though,
Michael — Google review
Booked for an upgraded bottomless brunch, when we arrived we were told that the food was to share rather than per person which initially was fine but when the food arrived the pizza was tiny and freezing cold, the same for the fries and the dough balls we're uncooked. We told the manager about this and were given some free hot fries for free and offered to re make our food which was nice of her but unfortunately the food experience was terrible. On the plus side the drinks were amazing & so was the service from the manager. I wouldn't eat here again but il be back for drinks, & of an evening music is good also.

Me, my boyfriend and my friend went for late birthday celebration as mine and my friends birthday are a week apart. Did a bottomless brunch yesterday and have to say it was the best bottomless I have ever done! The value for money was unbelievable, none of the cocktails were watered down, after nearly every round of music you were given a shot and there were so many to pick from! The pizza and dough balls were lovely and the amount of food you get it brilliant, we actually took some home! We will definitely be returning with a bigger group, I’ve done lots of bottomless brunches and we all agreed, none are as good as Bohemians!

So we only booked Bohemian due to the fact Slug and Lettuce was closed for a refurb. When we arrived it was busy, went to the bar to tell them we had a booking , our booking slot came and went, eventually someone spoke to us. There were people already at the table and they were moved off, they cleaned it and sat us down. 15 mins went by and we hadn’t even been asked given our drinks yet, but our food came really quickly. We got our first drink about 20 mins in , then the server disappeared, we are now waiting again for someone to come and ask us our drinks order but there was no one around , so we go to the bar to request drinks, only to be told it has to be done at the table. A lady from another table came across to us and gave us a bucket cocktail which they had been given as they had complained about the service so was given 4 buckets as a gesture of goodwill, this helped as we still were waiting for our 2nd drinks order we were over half way through a 90 min bottomless brunch. When we did get our cocktails details were missing like the Percy Pig sweet, Starbursts and they had loads of packs on the shelf, no meringue on the lemon meringue , plus they kept running out of glasses. We booked this as there isn’t many other places in town that do Bottomless Brunches, but never again i’d save your £35 as you won’t get served No organisation , poor management , not even the staff knew where our server went , she turned up after and didn’t even return to our table to see if we were ok. The staff look fed up

The Ruin, located in Birmingham's Digbeth area, draws inspiration from Budapest's ruin bars. This cozy pub with a rustic decor and industrial street art offers an excellent beer selection and a popular Sunday roast. The venue has been a back street boozer since at least 1891 and has recently been revived by its landlord Rich. The eclectic decor, traditional ales, European-inspired food menu, and vintage-retro vibe make it stand out from the shiny new venues in the city.

Big fan of this pub - drink here before and after most blues games. Staff are sound and you get a nice crowd and no trouble in there. Guinness is great and has a couple of nice lagers on tap. Been before , and had Sunday lunch twice before . Food was amazing ! However got to be honest and say last Sunday we were really disappointed. My pork wasn’t cooked enough . And was very very fatty . No cracking either . But my husband’s Beef was a shocking portion . Roast potatoes were delicious and so was all the veg and cauliflower cheese . Service was great and happy to give us apple sauce and gravy when asked . Felt deflated by the food . But absolutely love this pub . And will return . But maybe not for Sunday Lunch .

Came to the ruin without knowing what the place was, without a recommendation and only because the outdoor venue we planned to visit was called off due to the rain… SO glad that happened! Music already on at midday with DJ’s through the Saturday!

my first time going out by myself as a woman (22y) in Birmingham and it's really a great place, I'm really happy with my choice of going here as my first place alone. it's safe, comfortable, fun, amazing kind staff, bartender was lovely. I suffer from social anxiety so it's hard for me to go out and enjoy my time somewhere out and The Ruin was perfect. I was up in the smoking area and it's really chill, good atmosphere and great! I'm not used to going out to drink but I had a Moscow Mule for 8 quid and for the amount of the drink and everything included I say it's a fair price but I'm not familiar with drink prices so I can't say confidently it's the best price out there but definitely worth it 👌👌 Thank you for a good first experience c:

We had the best day/night thanks to all at Fazeley Studios. Francisca was so communicative from our first enquiry and supported us to create our own bespoke style in the gorgeous venue. We were able to change where the celebrant ceremony usually is held, this was done for the first time and arranged with ease. Emma and Georgia were leading on the day/night and were both so friendly, amenable and helped the event run smoothly. We had the BBQ and had so many compliments from the guests on the food and wine! Thank you so much to all!

The perfect wedding venue! As soon as we walked in we loved the space - the light, the decor, the features! Kika and Naomi were so helpful and always friendly when planning the wedding in the months leading up to the day. Nico, was superb on the day and the day before making sure everything was perfect and ran smoothly for us. All the staff at the venue were lovely and did a great job! Nothing was too much and we had the best day here. Thank you

Had works Christmas party here and enjoyed it. Surprisingly big space and artistic decor. Food supplied was excellent with a decent menu offered. Bar was well stocked with booths available for seating. Area available for a dancefloor as well. It is kind of hidden but you could say that about a lot of places in Digbeth

We wanted to say a belated but massive thank you to Fazeley Studios for ensuring our wedding was the best possible day on 25th August. Francisca incredibly arranged the whole day with less than a month’s notice due to our last minute change of venue due to covid restrictions. She made us feel completely at ease from the first meeting and we fell in love with Fazeley. On the day Emma and her team were absolutely brilliant. We felt there was the perfect balance of making everything feel so special but also relaxed and friendly. The organisation, decor, food and service was perfect and we couldn't have asked for more.
