First time at this place. I was impressed. The decor along with the food and plating all came together superbly. Good attention to detail. Amritsari Fish was the star of the show. Butter chicken was not great but I’ve had worse. Overall great experience, well done to the owners and the staff for making this a great place to visit when I’m in Birmingham.

An atmospheric and stylish eatery not far from Moseley village. Delicious food & drink and really cool Indian street ambience. The High Chai is fantastic, with a lovely variety of tasty dishes and delicious teas. Well worth a visit.

We have found our new favourite Indian restaurant in Birmingham! Food is authentic and absolutely delicious. Definitely among the best Indian food we tried in Birmingham. Cozy ambience and reasonable prices make it a perfect spot for memorable meal. We will surely visit again.

Absolutely loved our experience at Zindiya in Moseley! The moment we stepped in, it brought back memories of Delhi — the ambiance, the aroma, everything felt so authentic and vibrant. We tried a variety of dishes, from the gunpowder aloo chaat to chole bhature, and each one was a standout in its own right — full of flavour, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. A special shoutout to the samosa filled with gajar halwa for dessert — such a creative and delicious twist that ended our meal on a high note! A big thank you to Shivam and Divyansha, who served us with such warmth and humility. Their friendly nature and attentive service truly made our visit memorable. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for real Indian flavours and heartfelt hospitality. Can’t wait to visit again!

I visited Zindiya for dinner as I was in Birmingham for one night and they are a top 5 Indian restaurant on Time Out. I was warmly welcomed and Lavlesh gave fantastic service helping me navigate the menu and just being all round lovely. The food was amazing; full of flavour and a brilliant selection of street food. They also had a fantastic selection of drinks with craft beer on tap. The place itself has a cool atmosphere. It was quiet when I visited but it was a Sunday night. I suspect if you come on a Friday or Saturday night it will be very lively. Whilst I ate there was a very steady flow of take out orders which says a lot. All in all a fantastic restaurant. I would highly recommend and visit again. Incredibly good value too.

The service was great, place is nice but the food sadly isn't great. The boa buns lacked flavour and they were lukewarm at best. Not sure what the fuss is about. They were nice but that's about it nothing great with a lack of flavour to them. The pork belly was the best one the beef shin was totally tasteless.

We popped in here for a quick snack . After being greeted warmly we were ushered upstairs. Apart from bao bubs there were also rice dishes too. I had the pork belly with cured yolk and a side of bokchoy and mushrooms For drinks I chose the shaghai which packed a lot of punch! The flavours were incredible and would have tried more if were not eating later on! We did share a sorbet trio of strawberry, coconut and pineapple. Delicious. Overall good service just wish the side of bokchoy had more mushrooms and was less pricy for that it was

I’ve been a big fan of TBP since their days near New Street Station — they were my go-to lunch spot, and I always looked forward to visiting. I’ve only been to the new location twice, and unfortunately, both visits left me a bit disappointed. The first time, the chicken didn’t smell quite right, and the second time, the rice was undercooked. I even brought friends along for the second visit, and they shared the same experience with the rice. That said, I do appreciate that the team made adjustments to the bill, which shows they care about customer satisfaction. I still love TBP’s food — you can tell each ingredient is prepared with care. I’m hopeful that our next visit will be more in line with the quality I remember from their original spot.

The most amazing Red Braised Pork Belly, It quite literally melts in your mouth, highly recommend the sweet and sour pork side dish, the most succulent pork I have ever tasted, and seasoned perfectly. Highly recommend for all occasions, nice atmosphere and lovely service!!!

I cannot even begin to describe how good the rice bowls are here, genuinely the the best. I make sure I visit each time I visit the town centre. Cannot wait to come back, best pork ever hands down! ***EDIT*** The above review was at the old location. This new location has ruined what made it so special. The food itself doesn't seem the same, smaller portions, less meat, less pickled veg, no nut sauce... Everything that was good about it feels to have gone... after being an avid support of TBP, I feel there's no longer a reason to come here. Sad. You can even see the difference in the photos of the rice bowls instantly.

We found this place by chance, but had seen it come up in a recent list of good Asian food places in the city. We intended to go for a meal but thought we would have a starter here before we moved on. Enticed by the menu, we ordered a few things and we were really impressed by what was delivered. Great flavour and texture in every dish. We will definitely return and recommend it. The atmosphere let it down but really it is an in and out joint.

Superb Bao, the pork belly, beef shin, duck and lamb were all amazing. (Vegan is available) . Really close to the centre. Not far from pigeon park. Nice cocktails and beers also.

Want great tasting food, no fuss and brilliant service… then this second to none cafe is unmissable!! It would be a mistake to stay in your hotel and not venture out to this flavoursome location!! The service is rapid! Food is served hot!! But the coffee… wow!! The regular flat white is a full cup of coffee… and better tasting than your chain coffee houses!!

I'd give 6 stars if possible. I was seated quickly, served without fuss, my food exceeded expectations and was reasonably priced. Great coffee as well. There's no reason to go to a chain breakfast place in Birmingham over this place, in my opinion. Support independents!

Really enjoyed this cosy little cafe. Right behind the station which is so handy and convenient. It was also conveniently located beside the metro station. There was a queue on the Saturday morning, so beware but the queue moves quickly. Staff are extremely friendly and accommodating and are more particularly friendly to wheelchair users. Would highly recommend this cafe for the staff alone!

Straight after getting off the train at Birmingham New Street yesterday, I popped into Grand Central Kitchen for some breakfast. Gotta say, I’d never had eggs and cheese like that before – absolutely delicious! The staff were so friendly too. Special shout-out to the Iranian girl who was lovely, and the bloke (can’t remember his name!) who recommended some spots for me to check out in Digbeth. Loads of cool places to explore, so thank you both for the tips! To be honest, I was a bit knackered when I came in and probably could’ve done with a nap right there and then. If I hadn’t been so tired, I’d have been even more buzzing about it all, haha. Anyway, cracking little spot – I’ll definitely swing by again next time I’m in Birmingham. Matee, I'm minging. Bloody love yaouw' 🤣

Grand Central Kitchen in Birmingham was a bit of a mixed bag, landing squarely at a 3 out of 5 experience for us. It’s a fantastic location, right in the heart of the city with all the buzz of the station, making it a perfect spot for a pre-train coffee or a casual bite. The interior has a great, modern vibe that feels both stylish and welcoming. We were really impressed with the coffee, which was absolutely top-notch—rich, flavourful, and clearly made with care and quality beans. It’s the kind of drink that would easily draw you back on its own merit. The food menu is appealing and our choices were tasty and well-presented when they finally arrived. However, the service was unfortunately where things stumbled. While the staff were perfectly pleasant and apologetic, the wait for both our order to be taken and for our coffee to arrive was significantly longer than it should have been. The restaurant wasn’t at full capacity, which made the delays all the more noticeable. It didn’t ruin our visit, but it did take the shine off what should have been a quick and efficient stop. Ultimately, Grand Central Kitchen has a lot of potential. The core product is excellent, but they need to find a way to streamline their operational flow. We’d pop in again for that excellent coffee, but only if we weren’t in a particular hurry.

We tried the English breakfast (served until late in the afternoon) and it was really tasty and copious. Affordable too, I recommend it.

This is a firm favourite of ours. You know what you’re getting and it’s very consistent. The menu is easy to navigate with something for everyone and the cocktails are ace, especially at happy hour. Personally, I’d like more spice and stronger seasoning for my palate, but regardless, I enjoy my meal every time. The staff a lovely and attentive and we’ve never felt ignored or rushed.

Quite disappointing unfortunately. Sat down with my partner and they took 40 minutes to serve us. I would have no problem with this if they were busy but the staff were standing and talking to each other not serving anyone. When we were finally served we were given watered down drinks that cost 10 pounds each. It took more time after that before our food orders were taken. We gave our food order and then 15 minutes later they came back saying it wasn't available. Yes, it took 15 minutes for them to check if they had what we ordered as they stood around talking. When we gave them an updated order with what they actually had in stock the food they gave us was not at all worth the price they charged. Feathers in the chicken and the rice was undercooked. (see photos). 2 watery drinks, one small plate and one regular plate cost 50 pounds. Save yourself time and money.

Mixed feelings here. My husband and I came here for a lunch date on a Saturday. While we both enjoyed ourselves there were some hiccups that I felt could have gone better. All of the staff we interacted with were very nice however it was obvious they were massively understaffed for how busy it was at the time so the attentiveness wasn't there. When I ordered my meal and a tapas I specified I wanted the vegan version each time but it felt like I wasn't understood and I unfortunately turned out to be right when they took back my Elotes to check with the chef and then made me a new vegan one. Again the staff was nice and corrected it immediately. I had the horchata mocktail and while the flavour was quite good it felt ten times way too sweet. After sipping away at some I added water to it and it made it more suitable for my palette. The spicy rice was gorgeous and actually had some heat to it, which as a Mexican American here in England , I was surprised. The Ancho Mushroom Enchilada was just ok for me. It felt like they had overloaded it with salt and no other prominent flavour. Lastly the vegan Elotes were delicious. The cheese, mayo, and spice were lovely and the Elote was soo juicy!

Had lunch here in the run-in to Christmas, and overall it wasn't great. We were seated at a table with standard menus only, and noticed that was being done with other diners too. Fortunately we were aware there's a lunch deal menu and my wife went to get that instead. From the lunch deals, we ordered ourselves burritos, then ordered a Taco meal as a kind of side to share. Very glad I didn't order that as my main meal as it was tiny. I opted for the Pork pibil because I'm not sure if they keep the meats of the haallal menu and the normal menus separate, and I didn't want to mistakenly eat haallal meat. The food was ok, I expected a lot more flavour, but overall not bad or anything. The mocktails were quite nice, the virgin colada was lovely to be fair. My wife suggested we head to the nearby Christmas market for churros for dessert, but I insisted we stay put. She ended up getting the dessert menu herself and we ordered the Churros to share. They came without ice cream, so we had to ask for that again, which we received an apology for and were then given strawberry instead of vanilla as that was all they had left. It did seem the one guy who looked like he was in charge was trying to keep it together, but generally it was a bit of a shambles from his crew. I did witness another diner receiving even worse service, but that's not really my story to tell.

Hard to sum this place up. Service was intially really good but lacked a bit as time went on. Two of the four dishes we ordered weren’t available, alternatives offered which was acceptable. When the food came, one of the four dishes was wrong one, so now we only have one of the originally ordered items. Pointed out the incorrect dish but didn’t get rectified until we had finished our other food. I’d give it another chance based on the tasty food, maybe at a less busy time.

Amazing Ambience I Just Loved The Vibes and The Interior Of The Place. ‘Chris’ Was Very Sweet and Served Us Amazing Cocktails For The Night. Food Was Excellent Nachos Were Too Crispy and Prawn Tacos Were Too Yum With Burst Of Flavours. Overall Experience Was Too Good.

We were in a big group of 20 and they were able to accommodate us without issue, taking the downstairs area just for us which was really nice. The staff were also excellent and were very fast with service. Considering there were so many of us, it was great to see that they had prepared well. The food was mostly good, with some of the portion sizes being larger than I could handle. My picks were the cola wings, chicken mole burrito and the mango strawberry dessert. The cola wings and the mango dessert were my favourites of the night. The only slight downside to the experience was that there was a weird smell to the downstairs. You do adjust to it after a short while, but definitely something to be improved on. But overall a good experience.

My uncle and I spent a lot of time here before he passed away. I hadn't been for years but it's still as great as I remember it was an all around special lovely evening as I hadn't been out and about for two weeks due to work commitments. My uncle would've been proud of me celebrating his life rather than mourning him

Great atmosphere, warm and cosy. Menu is extensive but not all options are worth the try. I'd recommend a sirloin steak in peppercorn sauce and burgers (my personal choice). Chicken curry is not very appealing and taste quite dry and cheap. Good location for a very normal dine out pub, but not impressive either.

Finally made it to the mermaid. Since few years we look at pubs/ restaurants which are dog friendly. We made reservation and did not have to wait to be seated. Although the time we visited was minke free inside but packed outside. As soon as you enter there is dog bowl and treats which is a plus for us. Food was average. I ordered fish without sauce as it had alcohol but the fish itself was very bland and had chewy bits. Chicken schnitzel was without any alcohol but the chicken itself was dry. The scallop starter was good. Staff were served food Preety quickly. We did the payment at the counter as we were in a rush to head back. Would certainly come here to try other stuff to be able to change the rating. Will recommend for dog lovers as they are allowed inside and outside.

I do love coming to this place , it is a lovely pub Catch up meal with work friends. Food was amazing , we all enjoyed our food Only issue was the service was a bit slow and it wasn’t like it was busy. My friend had to ask to order a drink the first time , the second time was to ask where her drink was. This was rectified. Plus the issue of not being able to use your registration voucher hours after use is a saft policy. We all enjoyed our night and would still come back again.

Wonderful Sunday Roast! Service was absolutely spot on and the waitress Kylie was very polite and more importantly she listened to what we wanted which is rare these days. Food was beautiful and portions are generous. Pork Belly and Beef. Didn’t need anything else as it was so filling.

Stumbled across this place whilst visiting Birmingham and oh my it did not disappoint! The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered a mixed grill & baklava. Friendly and attentive staff with clean facilities. We are already planning our next visit.

Visited Comptoir Libanais yesterday for lunch. It was packed so you definitely should book a table. We shared a mezze of vegan dishes. Falafels which were crispy but light and fluffy inside and perfectly spiced. Hommos silky smooth served with warm flatbread. Batata harra, amazing roast potatoes, crispy, slightly spiced with a kick of chilli. Tabbouleh, so tasty and zesty. Fattoush, a gorgeous salad with mint and crispy pitta bread and finally a garlic and Za'atar flatbread, if you have not tried Za'atar you should, it's a wonderful mix of herbs and it was a taste sensation. We had drinks and it cost around £25 each and we were not hungry when we left. Service was great, very attentive but not pestering. My only critism was there was only one vegan dessert on offer, vanilla ice cream so we did not bother. We would definitely return and highly recommend. Great for vegans, vegetarians and meat eaters.

I can’t recommend this restaurant enough, it was out first visit and we were very impressed. Amazing, friendly staff, especially Emma our server. Great menu with plenty of vegetarian choices. The restaurant was busy but that was great as it had a lovely lively atmosphere. Can’t wait to return.

Oh what an AWESOME meal! Perfect place and wonderful decor. Don't miss this place at all. The interior is absolutely beautiful and the food is so traditional and spot on. I wasn't expecting this at all and it blew my mind.

I recently visited this restaurant and ordered the platter for two, priced at £27 plus service charge. Unfortunately, I didn’t find it to be good value for money. For the price, the portion size and overall quality fell short of expectations. While the presentation was fine, the quantity and balance of dishes didn’t feel generous enough to justify the cost, especially once the service charge was added. This might work better as a light sharing option, but as a main meal for two, it left us disappointed. A more substantial offering or fairer pricing would make the experience much more worthwhile. In the picture the platter for two (there were two pitas not captured).

We've been coming here for 7 years and we still love the decor and the food although the portions are quite small and the bill gave us a shock, especially as they added on £8 tip without telling us. We don't feel the food is worth the price.

Excellent desi pub within walking distance of Birmingham New St. We were passing through and had a couple of hours so went to the Hen and Chickens and really pleased we did - provides the great combination of real ale, curry and football on Sky! Food and service excellent, definitely recommend the mixed grill (small more than enough for 2 people). Will visit again when in Birmingham.

1st time visit after a long time and no regrets. Friendly and helpful service, the pub/restaurant was clean and very well presented. Food tasted fresh and of good quality, will definitely be coming back to try and update accordingly.

The Hen & Chickens is a popular established tradition pub with a modern twist. It has a very well deserved popular reputation of serving a good selection of quality India food. The venue and atmosphere is very pleasant. Located very close to the city centre the prices are higher than simular tyres of venue outside the area. IMO definitely a must visit if you are in Birmingham City. Enjoy 😊

All that you want from a Desi pub. Felt like a local. Good pint of real ale plus a great mixed grill and curry sauces. More formal space for larger groups.

The food here was incredible and the atmosphere is relaxed. Highly recommend the mixed grill signature dish but everything else that we got was also amazing. Loved my visit to Topokki! The Jeyuk Bokkeum was absolutely delicious (spicy), full of flavor, and perfectly cooked. The restaurant has a cozy vibe, and the service was amazing. Special thanks to our waitress ABBIE, she was super Friendly and Kind made us feel so welcome. Can’t wait to come back!

Honestly, this food was absolutely amazing. Very hot and fresh and tasted delicious. The service was so good. Staff were really attentive and polite and made for a good experience. And the food was reasonably priced. Will definitely be coming back here again as I can’t wait to try more things off the menu!!

Came here for my sister’s birthday meal and I must say we were all very disappointed. We have noticed how the prices have gone up but portion sizes have gone down compared to when we last came 2 years ago. We paid £6 more this time for the same BBQ set and the amount of meat we were given was so little! Not worth it at all!! Incredibly disappointed and quite sad as we probably won’t return again as there are other restaurants better quality in food and better for price.

Lovely went by myself and enjoyed my time. And the food is always delicious 😋. U had the rapokki and it was just so good.

I came with a friend, in fact I'm still here lol, but the food and drinks here are absolutely gorgeous. Me and my friend had the chicken cutlet dupbap and kimchi jeon. As well as, the grape banbon juice, and white grape makgeolli (which is absolutely perfect for people who want something to drink but don't necessarily like the taste of alcohol much) and a ramune. Would honestly come again, I want to try more of the menu! ☺️

Authentic Korean restaurant located at the heart of Birmingham. Love the chicken but i don’t think the ramen is good. The only issue is cash only…

The atmosphere at Damascena is truly amazing — such a pleasant and welcoming vibe. Special thanks to Bardia, who is extremely helpful and supportive, always guiding with food choices — I can’t say enough about how great the service is. The food is delicious and very diverse; I’ve tried different wraps, sandwiches, and shawarmas, and really enjoyed them all. Sometimes the dishes are a bit too spicy for my taste, but overall the variety and quality are excellent. The place itself is lovely, the only downside is that the parking space is quite limited.

Beautiful locals in the center of town. You maybe lucky to find parking locally, but there's motorcycling parking right next to it. We were seated quickly with and the atmosphere is lovely inside and out. On good days there is seating outside. There's lots of drinks and food options which was a nice surprise. The menu has a fair number of vegetarian options available. Food arrived quickly and was nicer than I expected. It's a nice place to come to sadly the staff really need a moral boost. I understand it can get busy but a friendly demeanor would make the place that much more welcoming. All in all I'd be looking to pop by again. ENJOY.

As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the warm smells of their chai spices. We were looking for a late night hot drink and Damascena was the perfect place for a karak chai. Whilst enjoying our delicious hot drinks, we had a look at their food menu and knew we had to come back. The next morning, we feasted on their manakeesh and fuul that reminded us of our warm homes. Compliments to chef and the very kind staff. We will definitely return to our local, far-away coffee house on our next visit to Birmingham.

What a unique place to have dinner! Spiced Chai Latte was absolutely amazing, salad was fresh, tahini kofta and pickled veggies were very flavourful. I also tried three different pastries, all of them were very lovely. As coming from the country where there are no Middle Eastern restaurants, I’ve really enjoyed the experience and will definitely come back once I’m in the UK.

Cosy and friendly. Staff banter was 10/10, main menu had good selection and really tasty. Ginger, lemon and honey tea would recommend. Baklava was not to our personal taste but enjoyable still (my friend prefers it sweeter).

I don’t know usually leave reviews but this place was phenomenal. From the Food to the Hospitality, everything was perfect. I came during lunch hour so it was quite busy, but was seated quite rapidly, the waiters were working efficiently and calmly despite lunch rush. I allowed the Waiter (Umar) to give me a recommendation of the house special, and it was one of the greatest meals I’ve had in a while. The cost was appropriate for the location and atmosphere. Umar did an amazing job taking care of us despite the restaurant being busy, he was highly respectful and attentive towards us and is clearly a phenomenal worker. Will be visiting soon again.

The Service was fantastic for a Saturday evening without booking to seat 7 of us at short notice, and the quality of the food was fantastic halloumi fries 10/10 multiple flavours of shakes all deliciously indulgent. Popped in for a quick bite as we were staying at the Holiday Inn for a night and this restaurant was a brief 5 minutes walk away. We booked for 5pm and there were 3 of us. Two of us had pizzas and one had nachos. We shared garlic bread a portion of tater tots. Service was swift and server was friendly, we were seated at a long table with benches, only downside was the noise from the tables either side, totally just a me issue though. Food was really good, fresh, hot and huge portions. Cost was reasonable £14 for the pizzas and £12 for nachos. All in all I would recommend a visit.

Had a salad. I know, really let the side down on this one. But my friend said her pizza was delicious! (Actually she said one of the best she's had in Birmingham, but I can't verify because... salad). But I'll tell you what, if you like garlic bread, THIS garlic bread is unreal. We need it mass producing please.

Great servers. Amazing gluten free food. Top notch ciders. We could do with this in London. Absolutely amazing no non sense food with a. Great vibe. Highly recommend to vegans and gluten free, soy free people everywhere

One of the best pizza we've ever had. Watched it down with a couple if Stable IPA. Very refreshing and crispy. Staff, I couldn't fault, all were very friendly and made us feel welcome. Even thanked us for coming when we left. Would definitely visit again.

The pizza is tasty, thin and crispy if that's your vibe, and there's a good range of toppings options. The service was a bit chaotic as it was very busy in there! Because you have to order via QR code the food arrives at different times, and because you've paid in advance there's no time to sit and relax after you've finished your meal. Sadly I didn't get the dip I ordered, and wasn't able to ask a waiter about this because they were so rushed off their feet! A shame because if this meal was a little slower and quieter, and if there was a bit more human interaction, I'm sure I would have loved it!

Pizza was incredible. The vegan option was great for my friend. Highly recommend keeping it simple and enjoying the dough/crust. The cider sampler was fun! Great spot for our visit to the city.

I walked in here just a couple of minutes before boarding a train from Birmingham new street and was very much In the mood for pizzas. I was a little worried about how long it might take and they didn’t disappoint. I got the BFC which tasted amazing alongside a lovely drink made by Becky . The thin crust pizzas are just gorgeous and your should definitely try!

Lovely experience and food. Will visit again. Don't be intimidated by the plate presentation, the servers are friendly and not stuck up. You can definitely feel satisfied after an appetizer and main. I feel like the meat could've been seasoned a bit more but that's my only criticism (it's quite bland without any sauces).

We had an absolutely wonderful Sunday lunch here yesterday. The service from Erika was charming, informative and attentive. The restaurant is very well designed. We had delicious cocktails to start and then two courses of truly delicious food. Highly recommended, I would most certainly go back.

Excellent dinner here last night. The food is bright, has amazing flavours and is delicious. The snacks have stunning presentation and the taste matches it! Starters and mains were equally visually appealing and full of flavour and texture. Absolutely delicious. Service was friendly, personable and efficient - in other words, excellent. We really enjoyed our visit and will be back.

We went for the tasting menu as it was a special occasion. Food was full of interesting flavours, utterly delicious, and beautifully presented. I had made a mistake on the booking and it could all have gone horribly wrong but the staff sorted it brilliantly with kindness and grace. Compliments and thanks to all the staff - was a wonderful experience and well worth the long journey to get there.

I don’t say this lightly: I had the best meal of my life at Chakana! ✨ This Peruvian gem in the heart of Moseley completely blew me away. I ordered the hake, and it was nothing short of extraordinary – perfectly cooked, melt-in-your-mouth texture, with bold, vibrant flavours that somehow managed to be both refined and deeply comforting. Every bite felt like a masterclass in balance and freshness. To drink, I had a watermelon-based cocktail that was just as impressive. It was light, refreshing, and beautifully paired with the food – the kind of drink that makes you stop mid-sip just to appreciate how clever it is. The service was warm, attentive, and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between relaxed and refined. Chakana doesn’t just serve food – it gives you an experience. If you’re even remotely curious about Peruvian cuisine, this place is a must. 🫶🏽

Fantastic restaurant where I always love to come back for a special meal. Me and my husband were celebrating a wedding anniversary so we came for dinner on a Thursday evening. The service was great and attentive and food came relatively quickly. We ordered a pisco and a cocktail and they were both superb. Then we had a delicious complimentary bread with a dip and starters - seabream ceviche, tuna nikkei and salmon ceviche. All of them were excellent but I would say the salmon was the best (my husband said that for him it was the classic seabream). We then had suckling pig and hot red mullet ceviche. Again, both were superb, very interesting and creative flavour combinations and beautiful plating. For dessert we had picarones (doughnuts with ice cream) and they were a perfect sweet ending of a special meal. We even got complimentary anniversary plate with ice cream! :)

We had the pleasure of dining at Chakana and trying their tasting menus my wife had the full menu, while I had a pescatarian version. Both were absolutely incredible! The creativity and flavour in every dish blew us away. My personal highlights were the Hot Crab Causa (so rich and full of depth), the Red Mullet in Hot Ceviche (the fish was soft, sweet, and the sauce was just 🤯), the Purple Corn Sandwichito (my first ever squid “burger” and amazing!), and the Hake Amazonia with yuca stew, kiwicha grain, chocolate, and seaweed so unique and beautifully balanced. My wife loved the Roasted Suckling Pig Pekinés, which she highly recommends, as well as the Hot Crab Causa and the Warm Beef Tiradito. To finish, the Cherimoya Mousse with dulce de leche and miso paired with freshly made mini doughnuts was the perfect ending light, playful, and full of flavour. The presentation of every plate was stunning, and the service was spot on our waitress was incredibly knowledgeable and made the experience feel very special. Chakana might be Michelin-recommended, but honestly, it deserves every bit of praise the food, flavours, and creativity are on another level. Highly recommended!

Visited Land yesterday for a six course taster menu and I was not disappointed. Staff were extremely attentive and could not do enough for you.The menu seemed very simple at first glance with a brief description of the key ingredients, which added to the excitement of what it would look like and taste like. Each course was beautifully presented and the staff would explain exactly what you were eating. Speed of service was excellent too, maybe ten minutes between courses. There was also an excellent choice of drinks on offer, soft drinks, cocktails and wine. If anyone ever thought vegan food was boring then just visit Land and see how wonderful plant based food can be. I have been vegetarian/vegan for forty plus years and I have never experienced anything like this. A perfect afternoon of great Company with a wonderful friend and amazing food. We particularly enjoyed the artichoke starter, the beetroot course and the squash course and I must mention the gorgeous warm sourdough bread with herb butter. We had three dishes served to us first, they were all an exploration of flavours and textures: The dashi, ponzu and Radish was Punchy, sharp and crisp The charcoal, squash and yoghurt was Bold with a mild centre The mushroom, barley and walnut was Crunchy, earthy and crunchy in texture with a pleasantly earthy aftertaste The milk bread with cultured butter was the next dish served to us, the bread was warm, seedy and inviting with a soft, pillow-y texture and the cultured butter was cool with a slightly tangy undertone which brought out the flavours in the bread The main dishes and drinks were then brought out in this order: Dish #1 and drink #1: The tofu, turnip and shimeji dish was compromising of chewy mushroom, delicate and subtle turnipthat elevated the textures of the melt in your mouth tofu with a crispy but light exterior which which was topped with an earthy sharp, smoky and pleasantly bitter Kimchi dashi broth Paired with a drink with a citrus-y aromatics that was sharp and zesty in flavour. Drink #2: We were then served an alcohol free apricot liqueur that was mellow, lightly sweet and slightly floral in taste. Dish #2: The sweetcorn, chili and black sesame dish was creamy, crunchy and garlicky with a mild but flavourful chilli punch and a delicate and easy to palete base that made the whole dish warm and comforting to digest Drink #3: It was an in-house drink made from their own spices with a spicy aromatic that makes the tumeric the star that gives a gentle tingling sensation to your throat, making you feel like you have cleansed your tastebuds. It also provides a gentling of the gut, making it easier to digest more. Dish #3: The squash, Thai green curry, shallot and tamarind dish was the third served and the squash was sweet and extremely tender -- the thai green curry was smooth and had a spicy kick, the tamarind was spiced and fruity and the rice cracker was light and salty when combined they all harmonise flawlessly to create a flavourful and well balanced dish. Drink #4: The green stuff drink was served to us made from a variety of different greens. It had a natural yet perfume like aroma but a mellow yet bitter taste to it. Dish #4: The tomato, tapioca and wild garlic dish consisted of a tomato that had a fresh and natural flavour to it with a gentle and floral undertone from the wildflowers that was amplified by the strong yet slightly chewy garlic and the acidic base to dish. Drink #5: The fifth drink had a bold and full bodied aroma. With a rich, slightly bitter and smoky taste to it. Dish #5: Our fifth dish was the watermelon, rice and furikake dish: The watermelon was firm, smoky and charred with a dark,rich sauce and a creamy yet light and crunchy rice it was complimented with a salty and savoury furikake topping. The main dishes and drinks were followed up by a sweeter selection, served as follows: Drink #6: The cherry truffle drink had a sweet cherry and vanilla aroma it tasted mild and fruity, it was easy to drink and smooth. Dish #6: The cherry and chocolate dish was made up of a mousse that was mild, fluffy and airy it made a lovely base for the tart cherry sauce and the chocolate underneath it was crunchy, mellow and sweet. Drink #7: The peaches drink had a delicate and subtle flavour that really leads way to the carbonation of the drinks themselves. Dish #7: The pear, amazake, elderflower and ginger dish had an ice cream made a wonderfully mellow base for the crunchy ginger pieces and the wafers sat atop the ice cream melted into your mouth to merge with the dish as a whole. The berries in the sauce added a welcoming tang to the whole dish as it was smooth but crunchy. We were served petit fours also in 3 different flavour varieties; a soft to touch bitter jasmin and mandarin jelly, a crunchy, spicy and cocoa rich gochujang and sea salt brownie and a high quality matcha and blackberry chocolate which had an amazing snap and earthy strong matcha paired with tart and refreshing blackberry. Overall, I'd say land is a multi sensory meal - it's a must visit at least once in your life!

Truly an experience. Excellent dishes full of character. Welcoming and knowledgeable staff. It unquestionably deserves its place in the Michelin Guide. Don’t miss it.

A wonderful sensory experience. Wonderful service and delightful pairings. I would say a few tasters felt slightly repetitive with similar fennel tastes and would have loved something with mushrooms. Also the wine pairings seemed very small amounts for the cost of an extra £50 pp, I’d say half a wine glass would have been great. I’d definitely go again however I’d like for there to be a real difference with every dish.

I bought my mum here for her birthday, along with my sister and husband. We absolutely loved everything about the food. It was beautiful and SO flavourful. We had the 7 course tasting menu (and there was also 3 amuse bouche, a bread and 3 petit fours) and we were left full but not uncomfortably so, and definitely not hungry. The staff are very knowledgeable about the processes that go into the food and drink. They gave my mum a wee birthday card which was lovely. My husband and I recently ate at Gauthier Soho and we enjoyed the food at the atmosphere at Land much more. Highly recommend to vegans and omnis alike!

Outstandingly inventive vegetarian fare with influences from different corners of world cuisine, especially with a 3-course weekday menu that's an absolute steal. The drinks are so well done too, and really warm service with some lovely recommendations!

Had a birthday dinner there while it was taken over by Sael and they didn’t disappoint. Jonathan is so humble and so talented can’t wait to visit his new restaurant later this year!

i came here with my boyfriend for a celebratory meal. the gin selection is fantastic, never seen so many options! we enjoyed all of the drinks that we tried which was a fair few! the food was okay, we got a starter each and then shared a pizza. we both agreed we should have just got a pizza each as it was a little smaller than we were expecting, but still fresh and delicious. we finished it off with a (very generous) portion of tiramisu to share, which was very good! i would definitely come back to sit in the beer garden in the sun, and get a whole pizza for myself!

Me and my friends attended on a Saturday for a bottomless brunch. I anticipated we may be slightly late so emailed to ask if we could move the brunch forward 30 minutes however no one responded. We managed to arrive at our original time and drink and food orders were taken promptly. The food was nice and the variety of drinks kept everyone happy. Service was prompt. Our brunch was due to finish at 3.30pm so the waitress came over at 3pm and said the brunch is finishing soon so can I get you some more drinks then I'll take your final order after that. Throughout the brunch we had been finishing our drinks in around 5-7 minutes. The waitress arrived at 3.15pm with our last drinks then promptly took payment for the brunch. We still had 15 minutes left of our 90 minutes, which we believed we could have easily had one more order. I have been to most of the bottomless brunches in Birmingham and also other places in the UK and usually the last order is taken at the end of the brunch. When we questioned this, we were advised that our time started from when we started drinking, so my friend stated that we placed our drinks order at 2pm and didn't start drinking til after 2pm if that was the policy and the waitress said "well I took your order at 2pm." The argument we had was that we still had 15 minutes left of our brunch and they were taking our payment trying to get us off the table before the 90 minutes was up. I feel we had a completely valid point and something that I have never come across at any other bottomless and that we asked politely, yet we were met with attitude from the waitress. Everything up until this point was great. My recommendation would be that if you want to go to a bottomless brunch where you are actually given the whole 90 minutes as promised on the t&c's then to attend elsewhere!

Lovely building and you can make your own gin has to be a good thing 😀 we had dinner before watching ELO over and out tour in his home town. Great drinks and cocktails 🍸 dinner was delicious the menu had not been updated from the wab site so no Sunday dinners only ice for dessert!! should be better

We had our engagement party at The Distillery Birmingham, and it couldn’t have been more perfect! From the start, the events manager Chelsea was incredible – she answered every question quickly and clearly, making the whole planning process stress-free. On the day, everything ran so smoothly. The room was emptied promptly when we needed, and being able to decorate beforehand and collect everything the next day made life so much easier. The bar staff were brilliant too – service was fast, drinks were flowing, and they kept the space spotless all night. We also booked the DJ they recommended, Jordan, and he was outstanding! His music choices catered perfectly for such a wide age range, and the dance floor was full from start to finish. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better venue or team to help us celebrate such a special occasion. Thank you to everyone at The Distillery for making our engagement party unforgettable!

A fantastic space to host private events, the staff couldn’t have been more helpful - even if they did run out of Intuition, I can forgive them for how accommodating they were throughout! Chelsea fielded numerous queries in advance, answering them all with clarity & in good time. We also made great use of the outside space, which was fantastic in the later-afternoon sun. We had numerous compliments from guests about the quality of the food - which was plentiful & managed superbly by the team on the day.

Great bar for a sunny afternoon, plenty of outdoor seats and a great drinks selection. Keeps the sun late in the afternoon and they have a large outdoor screen for sports. Haven’t eaten here so can’t comment on the food but looked like pub style and pizzas

Awful! Would have give no stars. It was so quiet yet we waited about 50 minutes for substandard food, which tastes like ot had been cooked in the dirtiest fat ever! I can still taste it. We were given no cutlery, no serviettes and they gave us 2 sachets of sauce and salt and vinegar for 4 people. The toilets were so dirty. The bins were rusty and there was mold around the sinks. I.would not bother!!!

Intriguing place great atmosphere and packed pre kick off. Dirty fries were good. Service with a smile. But the cocktails were over elaborate and pricey but it was like drinking fruit juice. Alcohol felt absent.

Awful experience and wouldn’t recommend going! I was served by 3 different people and their service from all of them was terrible. I asked to speak to the manager and I saw her roll her eyes and she came off her phone to come over to speak to me. You walk into the venue and you feel as though you’re an inconvenience being there yet we are paying high prices for drinks. Wouldn’t go back. Would suggest to anyone else to avoid this place at all costs. Very poorly run

Drinks although lovely are very expensive and not always worth the price. Some staff often try and encourage you to have a gin cocktail worth £8 when you ask for a standard gin and tonic. The food is surprisingly good and reasonably priced. Seating both indoors and outdoors so it's a good place to visit all year round. Outdoor seating is very pretty and indoor seating is a bit quirky.

We drank and fully enjoyed it! Amazing place and friendly staff! They have 241 on cocktails which is good! Outside is amazing, also has a bar outside too! Definitely worth a visit to see for yourself! Amazing place!

Booked in for bottomless brunch. Was running a tad late and tried multiple times to call and no answer. Despite this when we arrived we were greeted by the friendliest of staff. Nat and Rhi I believe their names were. Informed us on how the evening will run and kept drinks flowing. They even acknowledged my dietary requirements so thank you. Had a chat with staff about your own infused gins which are to die for, didn’t mind paying extra to try them. Although limited on the bottomless drinks it’s definitely great value for money and will definitely be returning. UPDATE: Went again for another bottomless brunch. X10 better. Shannon and Natalia this time around we’re wonderful. Many more cocktail selections to choose from. And dietary requirements were still catered for. This is our new fave brunch place🍹 I’ll be back!

I really enjoy visiting Grain Store! The staff are always lovely, the cocktail options are great and there's tons of gin options too. The area out back to really cool and sheltered in case of rain. There are food options that I haven't had the pleasure of trying yet. It's such a great night for casual catch ups or events!

This place is ought to provide high-quality service and food since the prices are fairly high. I have order a burger with loaded fries and a drink: these all have costed me over £20. While I did really enjoy the fries (they were crispy and there was plenty of them), the burger did not meet my entire expectations. As the name of the establishment suggests that they specialise in food like burgers, I expected the burger to be a bit bigger and more juice since it felt quite dry and not much flavour containing. However, if you fancy to eat decent quality junk food beyond the most famous brands and willing to pay for this - The Meat Shack is the place to give a visit. I liked the cutlery options and the atmosphere with a lot of graffiti on the walls. Nothing special about the service, though they show a respectful enough treatment. You are also asked to wait at the entrance until they find a free table for you. Overall, it is OK. Nothing shocked nor impressed me.

I love the paintings on the wall, pretty cool and interesting. The staff and music are great. The food I would say not as good as I expected. It’s good, just not that good. The salt and pepper chicken bombs are nice. The burger has lots of sauce included, which is nice. But the meat are not juicy, doesn’t looks like fresh cooking but reheated. Overall, it’s nice place to have a quick bite but don’t expect too much.

Go here. The Meat Shack serves good tasting burgers, nice fries and tasty beer. The two of us went here for a mid week meal and enjoyed the food and the beer. The buns were soft but didn’t instantly fall apart when touching the beef. The meat was tasty and cooked to my liking. The serving staff were friendly and nice. The fries were a little expensive but you can’t have burger without fries so hey ho. The venue had a cool vibe with good graffiti on the walls and good music. The atmosphere rating took a hit on here because of a large group with 4 or 5 kids getting bored and racing around.

Wow I was blown away by the Meat Shack! I am a big chicken fan and this place really exceeded expectations. I found it on Google maps, looked like my kind of thing, was quite a trek mind, totally worth it though. Don't know where to start, the small chicken plates, the messy fries, fries were all incredible. Sauces were wild, dressing was perfect, everything was so well presented, everything was red hot, everything tasted amazing. Service was fast and friendly, place is clean and buzzing. Highly recommended, I can't wait to go back.

Great food, good experience but not quite perfect. Went to The Meat Shack and ordered a feast, which was more than two people could eat. The burgers are excellent, thick beef patties and quality ingredients make an absolute feast of a meal. However the trays the burgers arrive in are a bit fiddly and make the eating experience messier than it needs to be. The dirty fries are nice, but next time, I'd order plain fries to contrast better with the burger. Good value and would recommend. 4 stars

Great menu, great atmosphere, great staff, great vibe. Staff were friendly and welcoming. There is a relaxed atmosphere here but customer service is excellent as is the food. The menu is interesting and what I chose was of excellent quality as was the choice of my colleague. I'd happily eat here again.

Food was decent, not a great selection available but when we asked for something it was made quickly. The biggest down side was the service, the chef had to greet us because no-one else was available, after we were sat down no-one came to take our drinks order and when I went to ask I was surprised when the guy sat at the bar picked up a tablet and offered to take my order, he looked like a customer! All in all it was ok but not sure I’d repeat the experience. Dessert was amazing though.

I went for the Bottomless Belt today, and it was my first time visiting. No complaints about the quality of the food, which was made to a high standard. However, a member of staff clearly told me that I could order select items like gyoza, katsu curry etc off the menu as part of the bottomless belt. Unfortunately, when I came to order these items, another member of staff apologised and said the policy had changed, and I would only have the cold options on the belt. This left me disappointed, as I wouldn’t have the same experience I could’ve had months earlier. In addition the belt options were basically variations of the same thing. Salmon on rice (nigiri), salmon in rice (futomaki) or salmon on its own (sashimi). I saw Edamame once (I managed to nab it), and waited almost an hour for desserts to roll out. When it came to settling my bill, I was almost overcharged by £10 on the service fee, something I was not made aware of beforehand either online or in person. When I politely contested the charge, it was edited before my eyes to £2.25. Even this amount was too much, as I only wished to pay £29.95. Considering the mistakes made, I did not believe a service charge was warranted. All in all, this experience has dissuaded me from bringing my family here in the future, and I hope you can look into some of these issues as it may hinder return visits.

Went to Yo! sushi, grand central station last night with work (Party of 20). It was a great experience, lots of plates to choose from off the belt. We also ordered off the menu which was really tasty and served quickly. Staff were very attentive and welcoming.

Overall the food is very good. It's always fresh and tasty but the portion sizes are small and quite expensive. It's very nice for a special occasion or a light lunch. The restaurant is clean and tidy and the food is easy to order via the QR code. It's well worth a visit if you like Japanese Food but be prepared to be hungry an hour after you eat Also...There is a service charge added to your bill as standard. Although i believe in tipping when service is good i don't think it should be expected.

Sushi lunch for four. The mushroom teriyaki rice bowl was tasty, the salmon plate for two was okay. A couple of the conveyor plates didn't seem particularly fresh or were presented at a lower standard than I have previously enjoyed. The miso machine was also out of order. No button to call for service, so was a bit slow. Unfortunately, I wouldn't visit this one again.

The food was great and the experience and people are amazing only thing I’d say is bring some water and service one in the session was slow for us but the food and making experience is beginner friendly and memorable

We recently took part in the Yo! Sushi School and had a fantastic experience. The session was fun, engaging, and a great way to learn how to make sushi from scratch. Wilma, our teacher, was excellent—she explained everything clearly, made the class really enjoyable, and kept the atmosphere relaxed and welcoming. The quality of the food and the hands-on approach made it even better. Overall, it was a brilliant experience and I would highly recommend it. Five stars.

One of the best chicken I’ve ever had. Food came out piping hot, with crispy skin on the outside and juicy inside, best combo with waffle fries. The place and its decor also has a lot of character.

Boneheaded is the best fried chicken I have ever had. Period. I honestly can’t emphasise enough how much I love this place. Love the atmosphere and the moody decor; staff are always quick to hand and attentive; food is outstanding - cooked perfectly and incredibly well seasoned. Check out the pictures, they speak for themselves. My go to is the buffalo soldier doubled up with cinema waffle fries (not pictured). It’s walk in only, and 100% worth a visit, repeatedly! Don’t skip this place if in Birmingham, you’ll regret it!

Me and my son visited Birmingham as we were down for the Back To The Beginning Black Sabbath concert, we headed to Bonehead the night before. WOW what a place, some of the best fried chicken I've ever had. The waffle fries were amazing too. The food was only topped by the incredible atmosphere, and the friendly and helpful staff who couldn't have done any more for us.....if I could squeeze another star in I would 🤘😀🤘

Bonehead is a place we’ve always wanted to visit. There was a short 20 min wait to enter, but we were expecting longer, so we were more than happy to wait. After 15 mins o got a text to say the table is ready. My partner ordered the thighs & tots and was very impressed with the meal. I thought her portion size was great too. I had the Bonehead Burger & Katsu Tots, and in the end I was a little jealous of my partners order instead. The burger was good, I wasn’t overly keen on some of the flavours of the sauce on the burger. I thought the Katsu sauce was a little sweet & not even on the tots, just a dollop underneath the garnish. Overall i thought it was okay. If I was to come back I’d 100% get the thighs on their own as it’s not only a bigger potion, but cheaper too. I’d also go for a different flavour tots. The gravy was really nice too. The interior was a bit of me, and I really liked the playlist too.

Best chicken burger (and probably best chicken) I’ve ever had. Super juicy, tender and flavourful, and came in nicely sized portions. The waffle fries are super crispy and delicious too. It does get very busy but it’s well worth the little extra wait.

Great service and top music! I had the hothead wings and hothead thigh and leg, juicy and crispy...but could have done with more heat. If you are a Nashville Hot Chicken aficionado, ask for some extra heat on your bird. I would certainly recommend.

You love pizza? You haven't lived until you've had a P2 from Otto! The service is impeccable and the team are so friendly! Super clean and crisp environment with a great chilled vibe and the most amazing pizza you will ever taste!

It’s just so good! Sets the standard for excellent pizzas, lovely people and good drinks. It’s a cut above the chain sourdough pizza places and I love the relaxed vibe. Have probably been 5 times all in all and never been disappointed. A mix of groups, couples, families all catered for really well. Oh also a great selection of vegetarian options that are the norm rather than an afterthought. Really highly recommended. The pizza oven is very big and a nice feature too!

Delicious food. It is rather pricey, the pizzas and breads are cooked to perfection. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Free on street parking after 6pm on the side roads.

I was in Birmingham for a few days last week and went to Sabai Sabai twice, once for dinner and once for lunch. I’d highly recommend going for dinner as the menu is more expansive. Definitely book in advance for dinner. The service was efficient and friendly. The seating comfortable. It does get loud, depending on the number of diners. For dinner, I had tempura king prawns followed by salmon curry with Jasmin rice. All dishes were delicious. The prawns were my favourite. As for lunch, I had crispy duck bao buns followed by pad Thai with prawns. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience at Sabai Sabai and I’ll be going again when I’m back in Birmingham.

A solid four star meal. Not authentic or exciting but not a disappointment either. Understand that the dishes have been catered to the local taste buds but surely we can get the right vegetables for the right cuisine in this day and age. Mangetout and baby corn should not be near a Thai dish. The duck roll and papaya salad was the best of the bunch. The service was pleasant and the atmosphere buzzing. Overall we had a good time.

I only recently started exploring Thai food and I’ve completely fallen in love with it. It’s flavourful, hearty and just so yummy. I also love that you don’t need to eat a lot to feel full and satisfied. I decided to visit Sabai Sabai because it’s Thai, so why not? Though I did feel a little like I was cheating on my other favourite Thai spot 🙃 We got there just as the doors were opening and were welcomed with the warmest smile. The restaurant was clean and you could actually smell the bleach and cleaning products coming from the toilet. It might sound odd, but I was really pleased by that. The ambience is chic and cozy. The space is a bit small and the tables are fairly close together, but it still felt comfortable. My friend & I came yesterday evening & we had a delicious meal, has to be one of the best Thai restaurants I have been to. Staff were very friendly & attentive, will be returning.

We went for lunch, and since the restaurant was quiet with only a couple of other guests, I really enjoyed it. The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The staff were polite and attentive, making our celebration feel extra special. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

First time visiting the Solihull branch for lunch and it was stunning! The decor was beautiful. Very clean and great staff. Service was excellent. The food was great standard full of flavour. We ordered the set menu for 2 which included great starters including sweetcorn fritters, money bags and chicken skewers. Everything was delicious. For our mains we had a few options - pad Thai, chicken Thai curry and garlic and pepper prawns which came with unlimited jasmine rice. All items had amazing flavour. Really good for the price! We’ll deffo be going back.

It was the best Thai I’ve ever had in my life. I tried quite many Thai food as it’s one of my favorite cuisine but it’s actually quite hard to find the right Pad Thai. Noodle was just cooked right and sauce was just perfect. Also the rest dishes are cooked properly as well. Chicken and squid were as juicy as it was just cooked. Even batter was delicious. We loved papaya salad as well. Every dish was absolutely amazing and phenomenal. I never expected to have the best Thai in Birmingham and if I have to visit Birmingham again, there’s no doubt this place will be the first one to go.

Great dining experience here, and I loved how many Birmingham elements they wove into the meal. The pre-course snacks were a real highlight – you could tell there was a lot of effort and some fun ideas packed into those little bites. However, while the starters and snacks were fantastic, I did find the main course to be a little less impressive in comparison. The portion size also felt a tad on the smaller side. Dessert are also hit and miss. Despite that, it's still a great restaurant overall. The service was excellent – really attentive without being intrusive. We also dined with a discount, which made it fantastic value for money. If you're looking for a dining experience that's fun, tasty, and definitely has a Brummie flavour, then this place is absolutely worth giving a try.

This was the perfect treat for my birthday. From the moment I booked it, I was impressed. I opted for the Signature Tasting Menu, starting downstairs with three dishes representing the Balti Triangle. As we moved upstairs, it felt like we were in their own home, with only a few tables and just three members of staff. The food was exceptional. I have experienced several tasting menus, but this one truly stood out. Not a single dish felt out of place; each one was as good as the last. Considering there are only two chefs in the kitchen, this impressed me even more. I am already looking forward to my next visit!

As it is my 50th birthday tomorrow I decided to treat myself to a meal at the restaurant. I went for the tasting menu and wine flight. I was not disappointed, the food was outstanding and the service was excellent. The whole team were amazing. I thought it was a nice touch that the owner/chef Kray came to the table to deliver the food and explain the dishes. The music was eclectic and had something for everyone. Was my best fine dining experience to date. Looking forward to trying the menu and in the summer.

Visited yesterday celebrating our wedding anniversary. I was really impressed with the food - it exceeded my expectations. Some really, clever and playful twists on the Birmingham theme. We enjoyed the non traditional, urban feel of tbe restaurant and I loved the playlist which was alternative and played louder than in most fine dining places I've been to. We started with a drink and snacks in the bar. Nothing massively grabbed me from the cocktail menu but I enjoyed the gin cocktail I chose. The crab custard snack and the scallop tart were really excellent. We had the tasting menu - everything was beautiful, lots of great umami flavours which I love. We weren't shown a menu for the wine flight or offered it which made us think we may find it disappointing so opted to sharw a bottle od wine instead. We were recommended a chilled red which is bottled locally and again this was really good. We had a glass of a lovely dessert wine with our sweet courses which we both loved and paired well. Standouts for me were the pickle tray (popadom pickle tray flavours served with a sorbet in a lime), fruit and nut 1926 (chocolate lovers heaven) and the cheese course which was stunning. Service was good and attentive, we didn't have to think about a thing. We had relaxed and chatty service from two of our waiting staff, others seemed to be newer/less confident and less chatty/able to talk about the food. This didn't put us off but just didn't quite match the quality of the food. Overall we had a really special and memorable experience, would recommend for a special occasion. We would love to return.

I've loved the ambience, the service, the food and also the music selection. Very original. Me and my partner have been there for lunch and had the signature menu plus cheese course. The cheese is Highly recommended

I can't rave about it enough. Every dish was packed with well balanced flavor, the small venue was comfortable, but not stuffy (you can watch the chef work if you sit upstairs.) The drink pairs were well chosen. The chef brought out most dishes, described them, and spent some time chatting and making us feel at home. I would go back in a heartbeat and expect this place to have Michelin stars soon. It is also in a very cool neighborhood. Edited after returning for another visit recently. They have expanded the space to include a reception lounge area downstairs where you can enjoy a cocktail and a few small bites before going upstairs to enjoy your meal. The food is still amazing and the service still great.

This is a place you will need to book in advance. They used to charge a £20 deposit but they don't take this payment upfront anymore. They will charge if you don't turn up I guess. The food is delicious and we particularly enjoyed the crispy pork belly and courgette dish. The mains were ok (chicken noodles) but I'd say the food from the specials board stole the show. I have been here a few times now over the last few years and feel that it's somewhat different. Can't quite place my finger on it though mind. Overall however tasty food and friendly staff.

So... regardless of the pushback, the experience here was terrible! We came because of the 5-star Google Maps reviews and because Stirchley is becoming an amazing place to visit. The first problem is the £20 booking fee if you are absent. I understand the concept, but £20? That's the most I've seen from a small establishment. Second, the food! Wow! My partner and I were on the toilet for 2 days after. The chicken wasn't cooked properly at all! Lastly, my clothes stank of 2-week-old, stale deep-frying oil. It was embarrassing to go anywhere else after. The toilet is outside—I mean, seriously, 5 stars? Won't be coming here again unless we need a detox

First time visitors- won’t be the last! Small, but perfectly formed restaurant offering numerous specials on top of the main menu items. The marmite peanut butter wings were absolutely beautiful, as was the pork belly and noodle dish. Great service and local beers too!

shame of an establishment. pretty sure every member of staff has been trained differently, one let an account be made using an irish age card as a form of id (highly reliable and very trusted form of id) then we went in today to celebrate my friends birthday and her account had been fully suspended because her id is apparently to easy to be faked - the very id they let her make the account with in the first place and has used plenty of times before. put a very abrupt and unfortunate end to our night due to miscommunication between staff. what makes an irish id easier to be faked than any other nationality??? The security on the door, tall 6”2 or maybe 6”5. Bold, was literally so rude. And condescending. He was judges us based on the questions he directly asked us. We explained we did have a drink previously at a different location. But we were not drunk or intoxicated. It was a slap in the face when another group who were caucasian individuals proceeded to head in without any questioning or prejudice that me and my friends had gone through. It is disgusting and out of order. If you don’t want to let us in because we don’t meet your criteria of people. Say that, and don’t make excuses with fake questioning.

I went in and I had a problem cashing out on my account. And the quick service of the manager there she was so such a lovely lady in to resolving the matter quick. So friendly and polite. And a beautiful smile. Staff are absolutely friendly. It's a lovely place to go and enjoy yourself. With friends or family. As I went with my husband and we always have a great time. I love the fact you have a bar. Hot drinks complimentary. Nice environment to be in. Cinema near by . Restaurants, wine bars on broad Street. You got hotels there if you coming from another town. Very busy, nice atmosphere though. Excellent drink selection. Food was nice but personally don't think the thigh meat works on the burger, its too tough to bite especially with lots of toppings it just kind of makes a mess, it was also quite tasteless but the loaded fries were nice.

Had a few decent beers. I'm always a little disappointed that every beer is served so cold as it subdues the flavour in a lot of them, nevertheless I enjoyed the three beers I had and they were competitively priced on the whole. Was right for time so also ate here for the first time. Burger was excellent, really enjoyed it. Fries were meh, but filled a hole. Massive shout-out to Bhush. Fantastic service, great banter and a sense of humour too. He made the experience better on all levels. Yet another venue where they ask for a service charge (tip) before food arrives. What if it's terrible? I just don't like this concept. I paid it in advance, on the back of Bhush being great. Luckily the doors was also good, but I just don't like the concept.

Nice bar & good atmosphere was just a shame about the food. I had a chicken burger whereby it was clearly chicken thigh which was grey and tasted off so I left it, the guys I was with both had sandwiches which were piled with mustard to the point where it was overwhelming and they couldn’t eat anymore we were asked if the food was okay but I felt like it was just a question and our response of the issues we had were sort of just a sorry. I would try again just wouldn’t touch the chicken, I would have expected some sort of refund :(. But due to the other good reviews maybe this was just a one off xxx

Visited on a Sunday for a couple of beers after lunch nearby. The service was tremendous, I didn't catch the chap's name but he had a Scottish accent. Very welcoming and friendly. Beers were decent as expected, but seemed a little on the pricey side. North of £6 for ¾ pints, you can get some of their own beers a lot cheaper in other pubs. I opted for the Double Hazy IPA at first, and a Raspberry Lemonade for my wife. Then went back up for a Pinball DIPA but sadly they ran out mid-pour and I settled for an Elvis Juice Grapefruit IPA instead. The vibe inside was nice and chilled at that time, they had board games available, and some people were having lunch, but I didn't try any food myself.

Good bar, nice and airy. Lots of seats inside and benches outside. There is some seating downstairs but feels a bit gloomy! You can use a QR code and order direct to table. Some cocktails are in 2 4 1 between 4pm and 7pm

The Birmingham BrewDog Bar is a first class establishment. Great choice of craft beers and delicious food. Popped back over in Oct 2025. and still as good. Had the Spicy Deluxe Burger this time, it was one of the best burgers I've ever had !!!!

I have tried this place before when it was on Colmore Row and its lost some of its appeal. Now its in the Bull Ring the food is just as good, sandwiches are fantastic and combinations always work. One of the best brownies Ive had in a long time. Only one gripe, the long table down the middle does not work for me its too narrow meaning so you are very close to other people. Staff are great! I approve👍🏾

I usually love Shokupan and have eaten here often, but it really has gone downhill. The woman at the till is constantly miserable, never greets customers, doesn’t even smile and clearly struggles to manage orders during busy times. My food sat on the counter for several minutes while she failed to call out my number, people were literally breathing over it, and by the time I got it, it was cold. The food itself was also a complete let down. The Hot Pepper Sandwich had barely any chicken, and the El Bushra sandwich was even worse — practically no filling at all. For the price you pay, you’d expect generously filled sandwiches, not mostly bread. The fries were overcooked and chewy, which made the extra £3.50 for the meal deal feel like a complete waste. On top of this the food always seems to be extremely oily with oil seeping through the bread leaving a weird taste in your mouth. Shokupan seriously needs to improve the service at this location and stop being so stingy with their fillings. For a place that markets itself as high quality, this experience was anything but. Don’t even bother contacting the management to offer constructive criticism, they won’t even bother responding- it just shows how much the company cares about money over their reputation and customer service. Avoid wasting your money here.

Visited Shokupan today with my children as my daughter has been asking me for a long time she wanted to try the Sandos here. Loved the vibe, ambience and aesthetics of this place. The menu was a good size not too overwhelming with lots of items. Reasonably priced. We got the full OG Sando Meal with Hot Pepper Chicken Sandos, a side of fries, seasoned mushroom and a drink and we also ordered Pistachio Shokupop with large chai. The food was absolutely delicious, the Sandos were so filling we shared it amongst ourselves, the chai was aromatic and the mushrooms were well seasoned. We all thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Can’t get over the actual Sando bread itself, was so soft, light and airy, sweet but not sickly. I will next time definitely buy the Mega loaf to take home 🍞 Will be visiting again very soon 😋

Popped into Shokupan in it's new digs in Society and it did not disappoint. We had the Reuben which was absolutely sensational and surpassed our expectations. We also tried the Yankee Beef and some shwarma loaded fries. The sandwiches are really filling and we couldn't finish everything. Service was fast and friendly. The owner was in on the day we were there and checked in with all his patrons - he should be really proud of this place! Five star sandos!

We were looking for somewhere in town that was convenient but could cater to all of the families taste. This place was a reasonable price and all around great service, the kids loved the modern vibe and their food and the same for us. We ordered pizza and chips for the kids, my other half had a OG Sandos - Hulk Mutton and I went for the Shawarma Chicken Loaded Fries. I'd say we are all quite hard to please, but we really enjoyed it and will definitely be going back. The portion sizes were decent too! Winner!

Great sandwich, been gutted since gupshupp closed down in snow hill so great to see another dynamite sandwich shop come. I had the keema (mutton) sandwich and it was really tasty. Could be spicier but I do like my spicy food and I know most can't Handle that level of spice. The decor is really cool and funky and they have self checkout counters which is good. Price point is around £9 for a sandwich which in this day n age seems standard. Staff are nice n friendly aswell, will hopefully be back and try the chai and other sandos!!

Went today because I was HUNGY. Easy touch screen ordering, lovely staff, great sando. Vibes kinda off tho, don't know if it was just because it was mega busy Saturday didn't feel super comfortable stuffing my face In the restaurant. Lemon beverage saved my day however, zesty boi brought me back to life 👌

I’m sad to report that this was a distinctly underwhelming experience. My daughter and I decided to pop in for an afternoon drink and a pastry. We normally go to EL&N, however their recent food hygiene rating has put us off, so we thought we’d try somewhere new. Firstly, the general ambience is rather grubby and downmarket: the tables were tacky, the singular a toilet an afterthought and everywhere looked like it needed a good scrub. We had to wait for a table (no problem), however it was almost impossible to catch anyone’s eye, so the whole process was unclear. When we were seated, we were given some rather tired and shabby menus which immediately adhered themselves to the surface of the table. Not to be deterred, we made our choice from the limited selection of pastries and cakes available. I chose the passionfruit cruffin which had seen better days and was still dripping in cooking fat. It was far from the light and delicate laminated pastries that I have tried at artisan bakeries and I felt rather let down. We noticed that the general atmosphere was unfriendly, I suspect that this was partly due to the staff’s fantastic ability to avoid eye contact at all times. Even my daughter noted that she had not seen a single member of waiting staff actually smile during the entirety of our visit. Needless to say, we won’t be returning.

TLDR: I’d only recommend this place if you’re getting a pastry from the front. Long wait times (45+ mins) + no cooling system = not a great place to dine in. Came here twice and had very different experiences. When a friend and I grabbed a pastry from the front, we were served and seated right away, even moving to a booth when requested. The atmosphere was great and the interior is very aesthetic and appealing for social media. No complaints here. When I came alone a few months later to order brunch, I had a 2/5 experience. First, it took around 5-10 minutes to be seated with no acknowledgment of the long wait time, even with several moments of eye contact with staff who didn’t seem very rushed, though this can be overlooked. Second, I waited over 45 minutes for my food (not a guess or overestimate) without acknowledgment of any sort. There was a period of around 15 minutes where nothing came out of the kitchen (I had a direct view of where the food exited). During this wait time, it was increasingly apparent how uncomfortable the space was. There was no AC and the building has no windows to open. The only cooling system was a single fan, and with the many skylights, the restaurant felt like a greenhouse. Literally outside the restaurant was cooler than inside and that’s not an exaggeration. The food itself was alright. I ordered the harissa benedict and the only qualm I have with it was that the eggs were almost hard boiled and not runny at all. There was a lot of chorizo on it and the mushrooms were great, however I don’t think I’d pay £14 for it again.

A lovely brunch, but nothing special. We ordered the granola bowl, some toast and some bakes to take home. The sourdough was lovely (although the jam alongside is just a jar, not homemade), and the bowls were okay, albeit quite lacking on the fruit. The bakes we took home were really disappointing. The biscoff cruffin had no biscoff 😅 and the chocolate chip cookie was completely tasteless. The setting itself was lovely, a great spot to meet for a coffee.

I love medicine bakery so I was chuffed to find it open on new street just a walk away from the office! Lunch was delicious! I was excited to have my usual fried chicken but they ran out!!??? Shockkkkk! But hey I got to try something new and went for Turkish eggs! Delicious and very healthy. Lovely space and atmosphere! There are individual tables and sharing tables so make a note of what you want on your booking if you’re fussy!

First time here for breakfast . Very smart place in the mailbox Birmingham. Menu good with lots of lovely choices. My choice-sausage brioche with a side of hash brown. Been a few times and usually really enjoy, bit of a shame the food wasn't as good today. I had the vegan brunch with an added poached egg which was more water than egg. My partner had the regular brunch, both of our hash browns felt a bit undercooked. But drinks were lovely and we've been before for pastries which were delicious!

Placed an order on the machine inside pressed the edit screen because my son just likes chicken and cheese there all done 23 pounds for both meals food came my food was ok his was full of peppers and pickles and a few pieces of beef went back to tell the staff they said I’d have to pay again and throw that in the bin the staff member was really arrogant and self centred I went mental in there and said in no way in hell am I paying for another when it your mistake. Twenty minutes later after the arguments stop she replaced it very poor would not recommend this one definitely won’t be visiting again if I could mark out of ten it would be a poor 3

I ordered a donned burger as you can see the was cold and stale and also eventually fell apart while’s eating! I addressed the issue to member staff named ruchi who replied by saying all our buns are fresh our delivery came yesterday and sorry I can’t do any thing about it very unprofessional waste of money do not recommend very poor service and unprofessional at this gdk

Tried German Doner Kebab and was really impressed. The food was tasty and the quality was very good. Service was quick and everything came out fresh. It did feel a bit on the expensive side, but the portions and taste made it worth it. I’d happily go back again.

We visited German Doner Kebab yesterday with our children and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The restaurant was dirty – almost all the tables were unclean, and we had to ask several times before ours was finally cleaned. The toilet was also in a very poor and unhygienic condition. We ordered 4 Oreo milkshakes for the kids, but they were clearly spoiled – the milk had gone bad. When we complained to the manager Ruchi she reacted very rudely and made us feel like it was our fault. She only offered to replace the shakes with another drink (we chose Coke), but did not refund the price difference. I had to go back to the counter afterwards and insist on it myself. What was most shocking is that even after my complaint, the spoiled milkshakes were still being served to other customers. I even asked one customer at the till to try it, and he confirmed it was spoiled as well. The way the manager handled this situation was completely unacceptable – rude, dismissive and unprofessional. Hygiene and customer service in this branch are at an unacceptable level.

Not sure if the staff is changed or the direction of this business but something g is definitely not right. For the second time I ordered a chicken box with fries and salad and they send it with NO CHICKEN . I mean there’s one spoon of chicken it the middle, it’s wasn’t even 50g of chicken. The photo was taken as soon as I open the box and added the sauces. They are charging £10 for a chicken meal and they are adding fries and salad in it. I’m definitely not happy to pay £10 for fries and salad. I call them to complain and the lady drop my phone on my face saying that it’s not their problem that I need to solve with Uber eats. So guys, if you want to spend £10 in a take away I recommend you find somewhere better. Food and customer service 0

The food at this place has always been very good, and it still is, but I feel some things could be improved especially the staff. It often feels like they are forced to work there. There are no smiles, no polite welcomes, and customers don’t feel genuinely welcome. The attitude can be quite off-putting, particularly from a lady wearing a hijab who seems very unhappy and has a lot of attitude, even when I’m being friendly and cheerful. On the positive side, there’s another lady who is always there, remembers my order, my preferences, and my favorite drink. She’s lovely, really nice, and makes the experience enjoyable. Other than her, it doesn’t feel like the staff are enjoying their work. The food itself is still good, though I think there’s room for improvement there as well. Overall, I hope the customer service and atmosphere can improve to match the quality of the food.

We were the only customers in as it was before 5pm. The lady behind the counter was very friendly, she was attentive and the place was very clean. The decor is American diner style with old rock and roll music playing in the background. A lot has changed since last time I went This was just before lockdown.. No special week day deals or percentage (%) discounts / no unlimited soft drinks and most if not all the prices have now gone up The prices are quite high to eat in compared to the take away large fish and chips eat in is £12.99 and to take away £7.99 that's a massive 38.49 % increase just to sit in (I've included the menus in the photos). The quality of the fish in my opinion quite low... Very small flake cod not the large rib like flakes you would expect from a fish restaurant @ £12.99 I didn't like the batter at all, I had to scrape out the centre As It was quite greasy and not very palatable... I believe that the fryer may not have been hot enough which allowed the food to soak up too much grease before it cooked through. You do still get the unlimited bread and butter but the soft drinks are now £1.99 for a single paper cup, so again not good value anymore. My meal was ok but I wouldn't say it was very pleasing, as the fish was the reason for us going, It was quite wet inside and as I said the batter was too greasy for me to eat & again the quality wasn't there for me with the fish. Our 3 meals cost £36.95 and although there was a fair piece of fish and a lot of chips there was no peas or side salad included in the price..😳 I've given this venue 3 out of 5 stars but a lot of that was for the ladies service and decor as the food today really missed the mark for me...Sorry guys but I pride myself on leaving honest reviews.

Great place to have some food. Diner is laid out ok and also accommodate highchairs if required. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food itself was really nice and reasonably priced The above review as written 10 months ago with a 5 star review. However I've now changed it to 3 following our visit today. The biggest flaw here is the customer service. There has been a massive drop and change in it. We arrived waiting to be seated and were told to just find a table. There were no high chairs available, but a member of staff assured me that they would bring me one shortly... This did not happen at all. When my wife went to order about 5 members of staff looked at her but didn't take an order. It wasn't until one member took the initiative to say it was the other side for the order to be placed. Waited about 25 minute for the food which wasn't bad. Managed to get a fork but no knives. Asked a staff member who said they'd bring it over but this didn't happen. Asked them again to which they brought over 4 putting them in front of my daughter. To top it all of found a hair in my wife's plate of food. Took it to a member of staff who sorted it. The biggest let down is the customer service, where the staff don't even look happy to be there, I think one member of staff managed to break a smile. In the end nobody even got back to us about the high chair. All in all not happy, compared to the countless good times this visit has turned this place down.

First takeaway from here after my usual was closed. Absolutely brilliant crisp chips and fish.

Nice fish and chip restaurant food good, friendly staff. Reasonably priced. Great parking. Only criticisms were chips needed a bit more cooking and for some reason didn’t serve any regular Coca Cola or Pepsi. Only diet or sugar free variants which was frustrating.

I have experienced a few so called fish bars but this one was very good. Let's start by saying , it was a super hot day in the UK. Yes I know, really. Yes it was.The restaurant was fully air conditioned. The staff were very pleasant and the cod and chips were very very nice. My word the cider at £2.49 a pint. Made it a done deal on such a hot day. The whole experience was great. Good price too. Yes I would recommend this fish bar. Very clean and quick service.

Excellent food. Never been let down. The staff and venue are well organized with a one way system, hand sanitizer, menus on the wall by the table so no handling. Tables left unused so social distancing kept. Kitchen staff wear masks. The only reason why I have not given 5 stars is that there is no macaroni cheese on the menu. This is superb and always my first choice. Bring it back please. The half price main courses are brilliant.

Excellent food and very good value. Freshest fish and chips I’ve tasted in the Midlands. Beats local more expensive venues comfortably. Second free helping of chips was generous. Free bread and spread a nice touch too as was the refillable soft drinks. Staff happy and helpful. Would recommend to anyone and definitely would visit again

Family took me here for a Father's Day lunch. The place was very busy, and after we were seated, the server mentioned that he was just one of three staff that were in. He was preparing us for delays, but there were none that we noticed. Can't fault the service at all, even under that pressure, they were doing great. I wanted a non-alcoholic beer, they didn't have it to hand, but the same server went out back especially and got me one, then made sure he opened it for me as he said this specific drink has a tendency to explode out of the can. The pizza was lovely. Not the best I've ever had, but still great. We ordered ones that were on the menu, but they have a create-your-own station similar to a famous sandwich shop, which many people were going for. Mine was the Heartbreaker with sausage, pepperoni, and jalapeños. The others opted for vegetarian ones. All were fantastic. We saw a lot of people turning up without reservations and walking off after being told there would be a half hour wait, so the place is very popular. Only thing I would warn about is that I was in a booth, and as I slid out to leave, I almost fell because I didn't realise the seat wasn't properly attached to the bench and it slid with me. A lot of people saw so it was quite embarrassing! Other than that slight incident, the kids get top marks for bringing me here!

Literally came here because my friend was feeling to get pizza instead of a cheeky nandos. We was not disappointed. The pizzas were amazingly delicious. You could tell that they were freshly made and was piping hot. Thin bases are actually supreme, forget about deep pan mate. We also tried the garlic dough sticks which were just great. Lots of different choices of toppings, I kept it simple and went for the Margherita and she went for the Hot. We most certainly enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend anyone to pop down for that good good pizza.

I visited @pizza Wednesday evening (6pm) near the end of August. Due in part to the "dine out, to help out" 50% off offer, partly due to the TripAdvisor ratings. But mainly due to it being dinner and me being hungry. On arrive the diner was busy, we had to queue for 10-15 minutes for a table (we were second in line) though in reality this was no hardship as it gave us chance to look though the menu. Once we got offered a table, we took our seats and as we hadn't been before were quickly briefed on how and where we needed to order and pay. Food wise the pizzas were good, the dough is apparently two day slow raised sour dough affair and gave a good chew. If is more of a "fast food" restaurant than a "casual dinning" place as emphasised buy the side of "greens" and "slaw" being served in takeaway style clear plastic tubs and the counter service. However the cutlery was (thankfully) metal. Regarding the sides, if I do frequent the establishment again, I'd probably miss the greens in future and stick with the slaw, to which was very nice and not the typical over mayo'd variety. Staff wise they were good, especially two very helpful male staff behind the count, one making pizza and a second taking the payment and as a whole working well. Overall yes, I think I would visit again in the future, should I be in the area and in the mood for a "fast food" dining experience.

They have a great offer for students on Wednesday, at the time this review is written, which gives you 50% off on unlimited toppings pizza and bottomless soda. You can really add whatever you want in it or make a half and half with whatever topping you like. The staff here is super friendly and very patient/helpful. I’ve been here a few times now and will continue to visit them because of their amazing service and delicious pizzas. The prices have recently been bumped up a bit but it’s still alright if you are a student and go there for the offer. Be sure to keep your student ID with you though if you want the offer!!

Superb pizza on the 1st floor of New Street Station. We opted to build our own pizzas and they did not disappoint. Crisp base, loads of choice, happy staff and some nice cans/bottles of beer on offer too. Decent value for the quality of the food, couldn't fault it

The atmosphere was lovely, with a perfect volume of music to create ambiance but not disturb someone dining. My partner and I both went for the create your own options, making something that suited our individual tastes and it was quite nice. For our drinks there was an awkwardly located drinks fountain that served some interesting drinks, such as Mint and ginger or sicilian Lemonade. Better than the normal fare of coke and such. This was by the entry to the open air kitchen and was partly finecky, but tasted good. The portions were filling but not overly large, however the quality is reflected in the price. The sourdough base was crisped on the outside with a good level of chew and felt appropriately dry underneath, no sog or sag plagued our cheese laden pizzas. Overall, a definite recommendation for either an intimate dinner or good meal.

One of finest fish & chips I’ve had served the good old-fashioned way. Cod was a real treat served with battered chips. Not big on battered chips but these were incredible! Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Beautiful mushy peas & curry sauce and great to meet the main man himself. Also very nice of the lady to bring the food to the table with unlimited salt & vinegar and ketchup. Can’t wait to come back 👍

Just ordered on Uber eats for the first time, absolutely unreal. Best chippy I’ve had in years, proper orange chips, bubbly batter and it was piping hot when it got here and we live about 10 mins away. Prices are brilliant, you’ve found a loyal customer with us❤️

Its an ok place. Chips are decent and prices are moderate. The atmosphere is that of a basic English pub, which I like. However the staff do not speak good English.

The fish at Bobbies Today’s Catch was incredible — perfectly cooked, fresh, and full of flavour. Carrie and Angel served us quickly and with a friendly, welcoming attitude, making the whole experience even better. Excellent food and top-notch service!

Ordered fish and chips x 2 and a curry sauce. Chips where good ol' golden chips and the fish was lovely with great batter! This miss says that she would recommend the curry sauce, "top 5 I've had" in her words. The shop was nice, tidy and clean. Lady and Gent behind the counter where super nice. This place is amazing! Nestled right in the heart of the city center but with a local vibe! Jack was amazing he helped assist us in choosing the perfect pizza! True taste of Italy! Kyle worked in tandem and brought our pizza out and ensured that we were well taken care off making the experience top notch! The food, service, and atmosphere were all exceptional, and we look forward to our next visit❣️❣️❣️

Simple decor might put some people off but don't be fooled, the food more than makes up for it. From the prompt, friendly welcome upon arrival to the quick turnaround on our order (despite being a busy weekend lunchtime) I genuinely couldn't find anything to fault with this place. And kudos to Hamza for the excellent table service. Highly recommended and would happily visit again.

The best i have ever had outside of Italy. A authentic napoletana pizzaria. The stone baked margarita omg that was jus amazing. I took all of my mates and they loved this place. Such a great atmosphere, staffs were lovely and friendly. I would highly recommend this place.

My Pizza was authentic, delicious, and full of flavor. The crust was perfectly crisp, the sauce was rich, and the cheese was fresh and gooey. A tasty and satisfying experience! However when it comes to the staff i barely got a smile from any of them it doesn’t look that they really enjoy their job but overall i enjoyed my meal.

Rudy's Pizza Napoletana Birmingham-A proper Italian Job. We visited Rudy's Pizza for a quick bite during a recent visit to Birmingham City Centre. It was extremely busy and we did need to wait for a table. But it was worth the wait. The service was good, and the Nduja Ortolana pizza arrived pretty quickly. Fresh and tasty pizza in an interestingly designed restaurant. Definitely has a genuine Italian taste. We will be back for more for sure.

First time here. Food amazing got to sit right where the pizzas are made brilliant. Bit slow with drinks could improve on that. But can honestly say one of the best pizza's I've had...better than the usual takeaway....FYI they do takeaway here so we'll worth it. I've starred the service low because of how long we had to wait for drinks...overall the staff very friendly and attentive

We popped in today after going to the aquarium and had THE best time. We were served by Tia and Sophie who were outstanding and the lunch was fast, fresh and sooo tasty! Highly recommend (esp vegans!)

Wanted to try a new spot for breakfast this morning, so quick TripAdvisor search lead us to this place! What a find! Nice clean cafe, with plenty of options on the menu, catering for all dietary needs. Food was cooked nice and fresh, on fresh tiger bread. Coffee came out nice and hot, and could not fault the pricing at all! Some awesome cakes on offer aswell - will definitely be visiting again!

Very cozy place with very pleasant service, the breakfast was really delicious though the portion was humongous so I wasn’t able to eat all of it. The chocolate milkshake was perfect however my coffee tasted burnt. We ordered pancakes afterwards which were okay, but I believe they were store bought. I recommend this place because of it’s friendly atmosphere, lovely staff and filling breakfast.

⭐ Love Visiting This Quaint Café, But My Recent Experience Was Disappointing I’ve always loved visiting Brook House Coffee Shop, a small quaint place with six maybe seven tables and lovely food. Over the years, I’ve popped in for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and takeaway sandwiches, and I’ve recommended it to friends who have also enjoyed multiple visits. Just last week, I even took my granddaughter to enjoy one of their delicious cupcakes 🧁. A recent visit, however, was disappointing. I had tried calling to place an order but couldn’t get through, so I went in person to place it. The café wasn’t particularly busy, with around 40% of the tables free, yet after waiting several minutes the staff member finally acknowledged me. When I politely asked to place my order to be collected in 30 minutes, I was met with a sigh 😔 and a curt response that a table was coming in in 10 minutes. I said “It’s fine, don’t worry” and walked away without placing the order. As I walked away she mentioned something about calling me, but I didn’t feel it was necessary to continue the conversation. Perhaps she didn’t realise she sighed, but her tone was still sharp. I expect the owners would not be happy if they knew how staff were sighing at customers. I am always polite, as I work in retail and understand how challenging customer service can be. At the time, I thought the staff member might just have been having a bad day. I hadn’t considered writing a review at that point, but seeing a Facebook post 📱 from this evening prompted me to share my experience. The post mentioned that they’ve been the busiest they’ve been in the five years they’ve been open and stated that they do not tolerate customers being rude to staff. Firstly, the owner must be thankful that they’ve been the busiest they’ve ever been, and ultimately they should be, as it helps keep the business running and staff employed. While it’s understandable to be proud of success, the post comes across more as expressing personal frustration than addressing customer experiences professionally. Secondly, I was not rude but simply walked away, which I felt was the best response in the circumstances. If the café staff find it challenging to cope with the volume of customers, perhaps they need more staff or additional support to manage busy periods. In my experience, a smile 🙂 and a little patience go a long way. Taking a short break when feeling stressed can help maintain positive interactions. Clear and calm communication ensures that loyal customers continue to enjoy the café and leaves a lasting positive impression. Finding a way to vent frustrations to a manager rather than taking them out on customers is always the better approach and helps create a more positive experience for everyone.

Wasted 12£ on reheated scraps that were served lukewarm to us. Putting store-bought salsa on some Indian food doesn't make it Mexican. The tortilla wrap was also probably bought from Tesco and not even warm. The chicken was barely reheated, without flavour and honestly left us both with a "vomity" taste. Did not receive a receipt either from the employee. It's a shame since the manager seems like a lovely person and works hard, so only go in if she is in. Otherwise avoid it at all cost.

Good morning We went to Wrapchick restaurant in National exhibition centre , Birmingham and we found hair on our food and we all felt unwell and vomitted for all night. Actions Taken a) Reported about the hair Results a) They changed our food Later problems a) Vomiting all night who had naan seekh kebab and diarrhoea all night with other members. b) After a day still feeling sick I am attaching all the proof which I have got like bills and photos

I visited the bullring Wrapchic for lunch whilst at work and I definitely wont be coming here again. I ordered a chicken wrap and my husband ordered a lamb wrap and they both tasted off. It might have been the sauce that they used or something. It just left the taste of vomit in our throats. It's a shame because I've visited a different branch before and it was actually quite nice. Probably just a bad batch of sauce.

Had lunch here today and i was very impressed by the service, very friendly, polite and helpful staff. The staff helped us make our minds up about what filling we would like by giving us a few samples to taste. The mutton madrasi in a naan tastes very good as well the chicken rajasthan in a wrap with spinich sauce, mint sauce and cheese. Only negative i would say is that if you wnat extra peppers, onions, cheese etc they charge from 75p upwardsand this can result in a slightly expensive lunch for a family of 4. Overall, worth a try and definitely good tasting food so we will be returning soon.

Poor quality and less quantity for the price they are charging.. ordered Hyderabadi biriyani which was not enough warm and fresh at all. I feel like vomiting after having it. Don’t prefer to go again

Visited the event at Warwick Castle. Great event with a wide variety of food and drink stands. However limited choice if you have an allergy especially a gluten allergy. You do have to pay for your ticket and then the food when you are there including drinks, which does make it an expensive evening out.

Visited DDC at the waterfront on Friday evening. Lots to choose from and a good atmosphere. We decided on: Deathrow sandwich 1 beef sandwich 1 spicy chicken sandwich Both with fries. Yardbirds Yardbird burger with fries Disco fries Tikka Turner fries Flat donut Cinnamon dusted We also had a few beers at Booze. All the food was great but loses a star as I do think its overpriced for what you get. That wouldn't stop me returning to future events though as I do like the variety of vendors and overall atmosphere of DDC.

Fantastic street food setup! A great way to discover new cuisines and try different street food establishments. I love that it promotes a variety of cuisines and always gets such a great turnout. Definitely the best place to go for street food in the Midlands. I attended the one held at Coventry cathedral ruins, which had a great array of vendors, a DJ and a lovely cathedral back drop. Had some amazing street food from Cleopatra's Kitchen Solihull (best middle Eastern food I've eaten) and beef on the block (beautifully cooked tender melt in the mouth steak).

DDC at Warwick Castle, 12th September 2025. First time attending. Ok-ish selection of food vendors and went there with an appetite and an equal high expectation. However, what realy, really let it down was simply not enough places to sit. That, I feel is a cynical way for the organisers to 'keep people moving'. The seating that was available and unoccupied had been ruthlessly colonised in the same way people put towels on deck chairs. I don't mind paying a lot of money for good, plentiful, tasty food - of which I am sure there was available last night - but faced with paying £14 for a Biryani and having to stand up and eat it...........nah, sorry. Not happening. So, I finished the single £6.50 pint of lager I purchased and went back into town to sit down and eat there. Won't be attending this one again. Total outlay including admission = £14.50. Total time on site = 37 mins. Waste of money really.

Well organised. Parking is paid but plentiful. Park was constantly being monitored to clear up litter. Great choice of food & drink. Some long queues (especially for the toilets!!). Great for kids & taking your well behaved dogs. Weather was fab which always helps

Really cool experience, £2 entry fee and 3 bars with different themes/music. The food trucks/stalls change all the time and they list the changes online. You don't need cash, most of the stalls take card. Really enjoyed ourselves will definitely visit next time we're in Birmingham again.

Had a fantastic afternoon here. My toddler merrily dances away to the music, the atmosphere was incredible. We ate nearly everywhere between us and shared it all, this was our list of vendors in favourite order: 1. Urban Cheesecake - terrys chocolate orange with brownie bits. Quite literally out of this world. 2. Only Jerkin - jerk chicken and fries 3. Jade Rabbit - chicken in a cone (just wow) 4. Disco Fries - pizza one is really good 5. Whatever the pizza one was there. 6. Patty Freakz - unfortunately did disappoint the patty was burnt.

I get my lunch here with colleagues and friends quite regularly. But sadly today I’ve come and opened my wrap on my lunch as I usually make a mess with it falling out and I’ve found not 1 but 2 hairs in my wrap. One dark black hair buried in the chicken and another sat on it. Had I not opened it to eat it I can only imagine 🤮. I would’ve gone straight back to complain but my lunch break was almost over… so I’ve taken pictures instead. Sorry but I’ve lost any faith using this stand now and so have my colleagues and friends.

I visited this place today and was thoroughly disappointed. I’ve been getting wraps here regularly, but the person serving today really messed up. He wasn’t wearing any gloves and was handling the salad with his bare hands, especially his left hand. The wrap barely had any jalapeños, and I almost considered cancelling my order. I usually love the falafel, hummus, and naan bread, but this time there was hardly any hummus or sauce in the wrap. It was a horrible experience today, and I left feeling very dissatisfied.

I had a very delicious wrap here today. And the falafels were freshly fried. I love the salad and hummus they put in there!🥰 But the down side is the paper gets stuck to the bread and it was a inconvenience to keep on peeling it off and I have to rip it off in the end. Also the paper starts to become soggy at the bottom and it made the paper wet and the juice dripped on my £400+ coat which I am very unhappy about. So next time remember to eat this wearing something that’s not expensive, because the food here really taste good! 🥲

Visited this place today, have been getting wraps regularly but the person today really messed up. He didn’t have any gloves in his hand but was putting the salad with bare hands especially left hand often, there was hardly any jalapeños in the wrap felt like cancelling the food but as I love the falafel, hummus and naan bread but there was hardly any hummus/ sauce in the wrap. Really hated the place today, horrible!

The guy serving me was touching the food with his bare hand, the other hand had a glove on. I noticed his finger nail was dirty, I should have complained but my car parking ticket was running out so I left. I through the wrap in the bin, waste of a four pound, how this place has got 5 for hygiene is beyond me, never again, gone downhill fast.

Have been here for years and I'd say 90% of the time I've been happy with the result, so not so bad in terms of consistency. Happy with my recent wraps as well for a more up to date review. Always get the houmous and falafel, always great to fill you up. I get the spicy it's not too spicy but a nice kick. Its my go to fast food if I'm in town!

In the city centre setting you can enjoy true authentic Italian style Pizza freshly made. Opted for Apolo or something along those lines it was called pizza had blend of veg/chicken with fat chips. Good tasted amazing isn’t the first time I been here, definitely place I’d recommend when in city centre setting- Sold 10/10 🌟

This is my favourite spot whenever I start missing Italy, I’ve been coming here for years and the food never disappoints from their delicious pizzas to their tasty kebabs, there’s something for everyone. What makes this place stand out is their authentic halal tiramisu, which is so rare to find, and absolutely amazing. They also serve fresh, healthy juices that are just as good as the food. Beyond the quality dishes, the staff truly make the experience even better. I’ve been served by Fatima and Mahmoud, who were both wonderful, but everyone here is always so kind and welcoming. Highly recommend to anyone looking for great food, variety, and a good environment

I had the half chicken and rice which was very nice. The salad wasn’t the best and also the lentil soup was not offered to me until the end, however it was nice when it did come. Service in general was good and I would like to come back and try the pizza

Every time I come to have lunch or dinner with my daughter or alone, I always find that the seating area clean. The atmosphere is very welcoming, and staffs show promptness in taking orders and serving food, maintaining cleanliness, and addressing customer needs and concerns with professionalism and courtesy.

This is definitely now one of my favourite restaurants. The pizza made with their wood over has such a unique taste that it just takes over my taste buds. Their menu is specialised and although it doesn't have 10 000 things, the items they have there, they get the absolutely correct every time. Their music selection is great and gives the restaurant such a pleasant atmosphere. There is so much sitting space. Special mention to Mahmoud and one of the young black ladies who wears glasses that served me, forgot to ask for her name. Such a positive atmosphere. I will be back countless times

I always have a wonderful experience at La Vera! Fatima delivers excellent customer service — she’s always smiling, friendly, and genuinely happy to help. Her warm attitude makes me feel very welcomed every time I visit. The rest of the staff are also professional, attentive, and helpful. It’s always a pleasure dining here!

Great chips but the fish was just not that nice, batter was brittle and seemed to retain the oil from frying instead of being light and crispy. Upstairs has a great view at the back and service was good. Small choice of canned drinks.

Freshly fried Fish and Chips to order, with a lovely side salad. The cod was lovely and flakey, with a light crispy batter and not greasy. Once you’ve eaten here, guaranteed you will be return! The staff always friendly and provide a lovely service.

The best fish and chips in Birmingham! It's our favorite place for my wife and our 18 months old son. The staff is friendly, and the service is excellent. A friend of my son always gives him a chocolate bar when we visit. Since we moved to Birmingham in 2017 this has been our all-time favorite spot for fish and chips. ❤️🇬🇧🇵🇭

We had our lunch here today for the first time and it was superb we both had fish and chips and it was exceptional. The service was brilliant and all told fantastic experience we will be back, thanks to the people and food at dads fish and chips. Can't recommend highly enough.

The Best Fish & Chips I’ve Ever Had in Brum! Me and a few friends decided to try this place which was recommended. So lets start with the cod which was crispy, golden batter that isn’t greasy, perfectly cooked fish that flakes apart, and chips that are hot, chunky, and full of flavor — absolutely faultless! Everything tasted fresh, portions were generous, and even the little details (like proper salt and vinegar, and a wedge of lemon) made it stand out. The staff were friendly. It’s rare to find fish and chips done this well in Brum. I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommended, it was well worth travelling across town for.

Double fried fish!! Inedible and gross!! Massively disappointed when it is £8.60 and 8.80 for fish.

Went at 12.45pm today and there was plenty of seating space. Service was happy and the food was prepared fresh whilst the wait wasn't long. Well presented meals. The batter was crispy and the fish was nice and flaky. We ordered hake, haddock, cod, fish cake and scampi; all fresh and cooked on the spot. To be honest, it was a nice place to eat and had a pleasant and tranquil atmosphere. Would highly recommend the restaurant. There was plenty of flavour and generous amounts of sauces. We didn't have to ask for more. The curry sauce was spot on! The mushy peas weren't dry like other places and the chips looked home cut and cooked. Was a good place to take a lunch break, from work.

Such small place is made to look like a walk-in to Morocco instantly with the wide plated tables , pictures of blue city , artistic pillows etc Cost is also reasonable. First time falafel tasted good , so visited again. Cons: It wash cash only first time. Card swiping only above 4£. Most cards were declined even though they worked in other places same day. Extremely slow and bad service. No clear communication. They didn’t have most items on menu even in second visit. First visit was during evening and I was told it’s costing time so only falafel wrap is there. Not even tea. But second time , even almost 2 hours of opening, situation was similar w.r.t food options. After making me wait for so long , they gave half cooked and gave falafels . Inside part was raw . I paid for 12 piece take away . They gave only 10. That too in an open packet .

I came here to buy some food with my friend as she has a severe allergy to chilli & certain spices. We kept asking the person behind the counter kindly at least THREE times what is in the chicken mixture they put in the wraps. He was very rude & ignored me, I felt like my friend & I was being fobbed off with excuses. The man behind the counter couldn’t speak proper fluent English, it was so incredibly frustrating. There is no information displayed anywhere about the ingredients in some of the food which is not acceptable & should be mandatory for people with allergies, health & safety or specific dietary requirements. I personally do not recommend this place at all to anyone if you have allergies.

Good for Falafel wrap. I had vegetarian breakfast and it's not worth it. It's basically hummus, 2 pieces of bread, salty olives and pickles for 8£ (Cash only)

I went to the Falafel Corner for my brunch. It’s located in the city centre. I was recommended to try falafel hummus wrap. It comes with salad. Everything is fresh here. The wrap was delicious and it filled my stomach. I was given extra pieces of falafel. The service was good too. One must try falafel hummus wrap.

Very delicious fish n chips and friendly owner. I popped by on a Friday afternoon and the owner got me started on a nice conversation. The fish and chips were made fresh on the spot. He gave me some chips, drink and kebab to taste because it was my first time here. The batter on the fish was perfect. Crispy on the outside. I'm sure after 30min, it would not turn soggy. Chips were thick and well cooked and salted. Super value for money and great portions. Will be back for more!

It’s getting increasingly hard to find a decent fish and chips at a good price but Mister M’s delivers. Had a great conversation whilst he cooked up a fresh batch of chips (chipped on premises) and served a lovely piece of haddock, battered with the skin on. Well worth a visit!

Fresh food with a touch of english flavour to it very good prepped and for sure of taste for most people, it's my first but for sure not the last time here! Good healthy(big) portions, and very friendly staff, you can just feel as at home!

ordered delivery yesterday fish and chips and pasties,when it arrived it was look warm fish batter so soft and more batter then fish.the fish was dry and tasteless and chips were warm ups by the taste, the pasty you could place under front door it was so flat overall very poor food throughout

Best fish and chips I have ever ate. Mister M issuper nice. You can see that he loves his job and he is proud of the good reviews he has. He knew few words in Hungarian as well which is a big plus. The food is huge and awsome. And the prices are good too. Next time I will be there I am sure that I will go back

Accommodating and friendly service - despite being short staffed we were made to feel better extremely welcome and he tailored service to our needs exactly. Food was tremendously fresh - the fish especially was fantastic. All of it is cooked fresh without exemption so if you're doing a large order or in a rush I'd recommend phoning ahead.

Brilliant family run business food is great and always a warm and friendly welcome every time you walk through the door. Also nothing ever is to much trouble he will even cook stuff fresh for you if dont mind waiting

What can i say, this place is the best Pizza slice outside of NYC!! Great flavors, great choice!! My Family look forward to this treat, The staff are top notch, always helpful and chatty. Would highly recommend this place for both sit down (when safe) and takeaway. Loyalty card is great too.

Quality pizza by the slice. The staff are as savvy as spicy sausage toppings. The decor is delightful. The pizza slices are perfect. Peacer is another awesome pizzeria to put on the recommended list. What separates it from the competition. You can purchase individual pizza slices that are of a quality nearly on par with the whole pie.

Wonderful place with amazing staff. The pizza really is something else. I would advise booking in advance as this place is fast becoming very popular. My one moan would be, after arriving here the other night to grab a quick take away. The portion of fries we got can only be described as a quarter portion. ( see pic ) For the price charged I and anyone else would expect a far bigger portion. All in all a nice pleasant place but portions need to be better

Great cosy pizza place, the food was amazing I had the Smokey one and some honey fries, service was amazing my waitress (Lily) was very attentive and friendly. Overall amazing atmosphere and great music playing too!

Where to begin? Great place from the moment you step in to the moment you leave. Staff are friendly and will chat and share their thoughts on the best pizza. The pizza is banging, you've got to try the hot honey dip. That stuff needs to be bottled up and sold asap. The homemade ice cream could easily be a side hustle as they've nailed that too. Banana and biscoff is my new favourite flavour marriage. They've also got a great choice of wine, beers and soft drinks. Don't think about going, just do it. Dew it

An excellent cozy spot for pizza by the slice. 8 varieties of pizza, all vegetarian, with a vegan option too! There's also a loyalty card in place for a free slice or hot drink which I love ❤️ The wine dispenser is on a preloaded card and is quite cool if you fancy trying out different ones. Not much in terms of parking around, but that's never stopped us! Shout-out to the team at Peacer, they are super cool, chilled out, friendly and attentive! ⭐

Passing through and popped in for to go food in the car. Service was fine and the fish was delicious. Chips were fine, but the pasty was prepackaged. Good for taking away, but not road trip food.

The service here is excellent whether you order online or simply turn up. It's a popular place and parking can be limited but as the turnover is rapid there should not be too much difficulty. The portions are generous and prices are reasonable. The haddock is particularly good. I prefer crispier chips. The food is served piping hot and remains warm enough to eat after a short journey

All the way from Sutton Coldfield we stopped off to try this chip shop. The Fish and chips were the best. The smiling staff were great. Can't wait to go again.

£14.60 for a so-called ‘large’ fish that was more like a fish finger not a fillet you expect barely four bites of actual fish. Chips? A pitiful handful with some gravy. Absolute rip-off. These places clearly aren’t about the food—save your money and go elsewhere.

Firstly, the staff were very nice and the shop was clean. Which makes this review harder to post but I didn’t go to the chippy for pleasantries, so here we go. Ordered Doner meat and chips, Fish and chips with curry sauce and a piece of chicken came up to £18 so I was expecting the food to at least be edible, I expected too much. The fish was chewy and the batter was flat and tacky with zero crisp to it. The chicken was bone dry and tasted like compressed saw dust. Finally the kebab was harder than a pedo in a playground and just as sickening. I can’t knock the chips but considering they were the only thing I ate I would have to say they were not worth £18

Service has always been bang on, from all the staff we’ve interacted with. The chips are lovely, the large curry sauce isn’t as large as expected but overall the cod pot is a good place to go for a chippy.

Always go the cod pot for our fish and chips! My husband has a gluten intolerance however the chef is able to cater for us all! Has a wide range of gluten free opions and does kids boxes that the children love! Will be coming back every week as always!

Popped in today for a battered sausage, was absolutely delicious as always! Even got a free sausage for my dog Betty, she enjoyed it too!

Went in with family, there special pizza was finished and we really wanted that. Asked for some water which they said they didn't do only bottles of water and said they don't give tap water. Food was very nice overall no issues. Drinks are £1.50 each for cans four cans for £6 and the multipack ones which I wouldn't mind but for that price. Would go again but take your own beverages.

Hidden gem of a place Place itself is fairly small but can get busy very quickly Ordered a platter for four Platter contained the following items, lamb kofte, chicken kofte, lamb shish, chicken shish, lamb ribs, chicken wings, lamb donner and chicken shawarma with some bulgar and rice While waiting for our food to be prepared, was given complimentary turkish bread and some dips The one dip was really tasty, couldn't get enough of it The meats themselves was very tasty, chicken and lamb kofte was very juicy and flavoursome 👌💯🔥🔥, meat donner had really flavour to it, likewise the chicken shawarma, lamb and chicken shish was very tender and just tasted delicious Only little negative was the lamb ribs, we found them not to our liking, also after eating them they left a bad after taste in your mouth Anyhow, after the meal, ordered some baklava, which tasted devine 💯🔥 Definitely RECOMMEND this place for everyone to try out...

I ordered two times in this restaurant before and there was not a problem about the ezme. But my third order was awful. The onions are so big chopped and the product does not seem to picture in restaurant web site. Even there is not enough tomato inside it.

Absolutely disgusting found a black hair particle in my wings and and ontop of one of the baklava their was a hair which put me off the food , I’ve found no good online food with good hygiene… These restaurants need to be looked into seriously!!!! I’m not impressed imagine eating and finding hair in food unacceptable

Horrible experience. Went with the family, spent £70 on the family platter, only for confusion about what an allergy is and the risks of cross contamination causing anaphylaxis. Had to leave and eat a sandwich in the car alone. Poor management. Poor hygiene control. We were promised none of the food ordered would contain sesame, surprisingly the first item, the bread, blatantly contained sesame seeds. Staff and management do not speak or understand English let alone meeting hygiene and safety requirements.

Fluffy crispy jacket potatoes they discontinued the bean curry which was really nice. But a good variety of fillings. The best place for jacket potatoes a great lunch stop

So my daughter always comes here never a problem on 2 different occasions she was served by 2 different ladies both times bad experiences charged 5.80 for 2 prices of beef and a chunk of fat said no more then again with another lady this time no beef curry rang and complained he said oh il sort it out lol no he didn’t the cheek of it they had no beef curry so she settled for chicken jalfrezi and he had the cheek to charge absolute joke you ought to be ashamed of your selves personally I think it’s a overpriced rip off

Been in this shop 3 times and the potatoes have been consistently good although for the price I do feel that the portion of filling was quite small for the price. I give three stars because each time I have visited and been served by a man I have found him to be quite miserable and lacking in customer interaction except for the basic "what filling do you want " . Maybe I've caught him on 3 bad days but it does set an uncomfortable atmosphere 😕...I love a baked potato but with the amount of different choices of food outlets I don't think I'll visit again.

It’s hard to find a local establishment that provides such efficient service, tasty food and plenty of options while maintaining such a wholesome sense of community that Teds Baked Potatoes does. Incredible option for lunch with the fastest service in the area. Staff are absolutely lovely. 100% recommend.

Busy small family restaurant with exceptionaly good noodles. I ate Deznou stir fried chicken with original flavour ant it was excellent apart from the fact that crushed chicken bones were in my food.

Very quick easy cheap incredible food. Noodles are tasty and great texture and fresh. Tried a cold and hot tea, cold tea was the one for me. The soup was really good also.

I visited Birmingham today and had this delicious hand pulled noodles 🍜 The best I have ever eaten in my life!!! All the staffs are lovely and so attentive. Although the place is a bit tidy and I can hear other people conversation. But I can reassure you that the food will not disappoint you!

Braised chicken is a must-try! The biangbiang noodles are also fantastic and the perfect chewy texture. Even better with black vinegar. Love this place and the friendly staff!

Humble noodle shop in Birmingham Chinatown …Authentic Hand Pulled Noodles with Excellent melt in the mouth Braised Chicken..Tofu Veg Biang Biang noodles were delicious as well..Homely and friendly service..bang on the buck.

Really nice and friendly staff and affordable priced simple, authentic, yummy Chinese noodle. Hand made noodle's texture is incomparable, chewy and doesn't become mushy / doughy, 彈牙有嚼勁! You can even see the chef moulding the dough from a glass panel and see how its being made. Tried both their soup noodle (dine in) and stir fried noodles dish (takeaway) and liked them both, the noodle is rlly versatile. Broth of the soup is perfect, not overpowering but flavourful, chicken is alright but if I had to rank everything it definitely would be noodle & soup > chicken. Only thing to beware of is that they accept cash only, which is a bit inconvenient... but I'm happy to support small independently run shops with their preferred means of payments for this food quality.
