Dockers Fish House, part of the Harris Hospitality family business, has been serving up delicious seafood and a Caribbean-inspired atmosphere since 1997. Located in the charming Harbor Town Marina with stunning views of Muskegon Lake and Pere Marquette Beach, it's a favorite summer spot for locals and visitors alike. The restaurant offers a diverse menu to satisfy all tastes and features an upbeat tiki bar with live music.
We highly recommend this place! Do not let the drive up to the restaurant discourage you as you will make a turn off the main drag by the beach, and drive through a condominium community, but when you get to the end, just park your car and head in! The place sits perfectly on a marina canal, the sunsets on the restaurant, and it holds about 2000 people it’s right on the water, live bands and great food! You cannot go wrong with this place!! Great service! A must see!! If you have a boat you can pull up and tie up, and eat!

I had dinner with my wife and daughter on the deck for my birthday this past September. We enjoyed a couple cocktails while we waited for food. The service was slow, but it had a good view & the company was good so no big deal. The food came and my lobster roll was burnt. This is why I'm giving 3 stars. First i can't believe they would even service it like this. (see pictures) second we waited so long the sun was going down so there wasn't enough time to send it back unless I decided to eat alone in the dark. My wife and daughters said the food was (one good and one okay).

Love this place! From the dock attendants to our server, service was friendly and efficient. The house-made blackberry vodka is so good and those vodka soaked blackberries? Sublime. The margaritas were pretty tasty too.He loved his buffalo chicken wrap and the thick crispy chips with a side of BBQ. My burrata arugula salad was good but would have benefited from less arugula, and more tomatoes and balsamic. Loved the addition of fresh fennel! We will return any time we are in the area!

Very, very nice place to relax to have a drinks and meals with family and friends! We came early and they allowed us to seat in before their opening hours instead having us wait outside in the Sun ! That was very nice of them! We enjoyed everything we ordered and shared! specially the “honey Roasted Brussels Sprouts”. It was so delicious with some peanuts! We will love to come back to enjoy their dinner menu for sure and live music one or those days! Highly recommended!
Steven C — Google review
My husband and I are foodies- and we went here two nights in a row! The service was incredible, staff refilled our drinks before we even thought to ask. We had our two young (LOUD baby) girls, and all the staff was so kind and welcoming to both of them. We loved the view of the water with both options to eat indoors AND have shade if you wanted. There honestly isn’t a bad seat in the place. The food was incredible! The lobster fondue is a must order! We thought the portion sizes were great, and everything was quality. We WILL be back again next time we are in the area. Don’t walk… RUN there you won’t be disappointed!

It was a great atmosphere for lunch. We went there and waited for 20 minutes for sitting in the outside. Inside was quite empty as people was preferring to sit outside. Food was great. We ordered Fried scallops, fish & chips, and Bang Bang shrimp tacos. All of them were great. We finished everything. I think fries were little less for one serving as all the foods were expensive. The waitress was not the best one, she was not happy when we asked for tartar sauce twice 😅 but overall good experience
Abir H — Google review
The food was tasty. Like most places these days, they are understaffed. However, everyone was nice and tried very hard to service all tables. Cute interior. Love the outdoor patio. Beautiful views from the outdoor dining area. Very family friendly.

Stopped in for opening season of 2024. Atmosphere: Both inside and outside is warm and inviting. Especially when there's a band playing! We started the evening on the deck, but the cooling weather drove us inside. Service: the staff was great and very attentive to our needs. Lauren was our server for the evening. She found us a great window seat and checked in on us regularly. Food: Food was excellent! The *Fish and Chips* was perfectly cooked, perfect fries, and arguably the best tartar sauce I've ever had with fish and chips! Drinks: As someone who doesn't drink anymore, Docker's has a "If You're Not Drinking" section. It's a selection of hand crafted mocktails. I really appreciate this section and would like to see other business offer likewise! If you are a drinker, don't worry, there's a full bar and menu. It was a great opening day and experience and I look forward to more warm summer evenings spent at Dockers!

The Lake House Waterfront Grille and Event Center is a stylish eatery located on the shores of Lake Muskegon, offering a casual and unpretentious ambiance, delicious seasonal cuisine, and spectacular views. In the summer, guests can enjoy al fresco lakeside dining on the beautiful deck and outdoor bar, while in winter, they can savor a romantic dinner next to the cozy fireplace.
The calamari was delightfully light and seasoned with accompaniment. I enjoyed my first perch dinner that held nice light breading.

The lake house was so beautiful and delicious! I was looking for where to take my family for a nicer dinner on the 4th and this did not disappoint. The atmosphere was amazing, they had nice music playing in the background and it almost sounded live. Our server Brandon was very kind and gave lot of attention despite the restaurant being more crowded. Food took a little while to get to us, but everything tasted delicious! I especially loved the raspberry sorbet — very refreshing!

Food was very good. Servant was very nice but did mistakes It has good view of the lake. But the atmosphere is not that exciting

This restaurant is located in a very beautiful area. It’s designed for great indoor and outdoor dining with beautiful views of the lake and boats with a lovely viewing deck. The staff are excellent and very attentive. The food is good but could be better. We have been here on three occasions and the food can vary. I guess it depends on the day and who’s cooking. We ordered simple this time. The crab cake appetizer with a jalapeño bacon jam and slaw. The jam was incredible. The cakes should have been fried. They tasted maybe microwaved or baked. We both ordered burgers, which were prepared as requested but very dry, no seasoning. The bun was toasted, my husband had a hearty amount of fries, but paid extra for fries because the burger came with chips. I wanted a salad instead of chips and that was extra! We paid over $70 for two burgers an appetizer with 3 crabcakes and a pop! My husband did have a pop. I will say the rolls brought out while we waited were good. They were basil flavored rolls, with a garlic and basil butter. I guess we’re mostly paying for the view and service! We were celebrating our 44th wedding anniversary!

We went to The Lake House for the first time with our best friends, for our wedding anniversaries. The setting is right on the lake, next to the marina, which is nice. My initial impressions were that the restaurant was clean, but felt a bit dated; like being ushered back in time to an 80s/90s movie, which my wife really liked. I felt like The menu was kind of small and the prices a bit high. Our food was very good, but our friends said the gnocchi had way too much sauce on it and the broccoli was overcooked. Our server, Bradley (I think) was phenomenal. We had the best time with him and he attended to our every need. He even hooked us up with free desserts for our anniversaries, which were amazing! We live about an hour away, so I don't think I'd ever drive that far again just to go there, but if you're in the area, it's worth checking out.
Kevin B — Google review
I can’t rate the food as I couldn’t get service. We were seated immediately, a waiter and waitress were working the booths in front and behind us but missed us somehow for over twenty minutes. As she passed, I tried to get her attention but was ignored.
Bill W — Google review
Very nice restaurant right by the lake and look into the marina! Great selection of wine and beer with great lunch and dinner menu! Most impressive thing is the kitchen or chief can twist or alter the dish to your liking which was amazing! We have our perch cooked the we like and they accommodate it! Five stars just for that!

Superb perch and white fish dinners with fresh fruit Creme Brulee to follow. Fun cocktails and wine selection. Great place for a sunset dinner. Outdoor seating available.

The Deck BBQ & Beer is a lively seasonal restaurant located at the Ovals on Pere Marquette beach, offering a variety of BBQ plates, craft brews, and cocktails. This lakeside dining spot is perfect for enjoying a meal after a day of beach activities. With its diverse menu featuring burgers, hot dogs, tacos, and more, The Deck provides an ideal setting to savor delicious food while taking in the scenic views of Lake Michigan and the lighthouse.
So, we didn’t listen to our friends and didn’t get there early enough to get a good spot. We ended up waiting for 45 minutes, but guess what? We ended up getting a great deal on some cool beach gear at the store! They even gave us a buzzer so we could walk on the beach while we waited. It was a super hot and sunny day, so we learned our lesson for next time: reserve a spot first or get there early. But the experience was still awesome! We could swing, eat, drink, or sit at a table. We did a little of everything. We watched the show from the top deck, and the band played a bunch of classic hits from different decades. It was a great addition to our amazing food. I had the chicken tender nachos, which were huge! I think every meal ordered by our group could have fed the whole table. The portion sizes are huge, so be prepared. Everything was delicious, though. I highly recommend it. The only downside was that it was hard to hear our waitress or each other with the music, but the service was great. She made sure we had a great time at the Deck.
Amirika R — Google review
First time here, and it wasn't the worst experience. The atmosphere of the beach deck & ground beach area was very nice. Heard live music with lunch & had a few drinks also. Food prices were ok, but could be better, food definitely was sub-par and tasteless. The big beef slider was dry & just kinda slapped together (as you could see in pic there) the hot honey slider was a dried out chicken tender. I had more bun than meat products. The summer sampler wasn't too bad, but just basic tortilla chips out of the bag, plus 4 sauces.I probably won't be back again due to this & some of the drinks being priced high also. Paid 5$ for a can of Miller Lite & 7$ for a can of Two hearted. The waitress was very nice tho & very attentive to us. Her customer service was right on, so shout out to Casi H. Ty Wish the bathroom upstairs was definitely bigger with more stalls since the place is so big & lots of foot traffic you'd think they'd want expand that somewhat due to do many people about. Four in our party total spent well over 100$ & was kinda disappointed overall.
Annie L — Google review
This place checks all the boxes! Not ALL the food is amazing but what I got was!! The Dirty Nachos is where it’s AT! Atmosphere ✅ Service ✅ Food ✅ ❌Do not get the chopped brisket… it’s more like roast beef 👎 and massed produced And I’m sure the drinks are great, but I don’t like not get the Whiskey Peach Lemonade again, just tasted like lemonade.
Ashley P — Google review
Hello amazing beach front property that makes you think you’re in Florida but you’re not! We were so surprised to find this place on one of our stops up the coast that we had to stop and enjoy some amazing drinks and equally awesome live music. The weather was fantastic for September and this is permanently on the list of places to go back to. Locals have it good with this establishment. We didn’t have any food so cannot comment on that but all the staff seemed happy to be there!
K. S — Google review
We had an absolutely amazing experience thanks to our server, Chris J! From the moment we sat down, he was attentive and always nearby without ever being overbearing. He gave us thoughtful recommendations that ended up being spot-on, and he made sure we were totally satisfied with everything we ordered. Chris is extremely personable and relatable, he made us feel like we were genuinely being taken care of. He never rushed us, gave us plenty of time to make decisions, and checked in just the right amount to make sure everything was perfect. It was clear he really cared whether we were enjoying our food and drinks, and that made all the difference. The Deck is lucky to have someone like Chris on their team. He truly elevated our whole experience, and we’ll definitely be back!

We just went to The Deck in Muskegon and it was an awesome experience. The food was so good and came out unbelievably fast — no waiting around at all. Our server didn’t even write down our order, she memorized everything perfectly, which really impressed me. On top of that, the atmosphere was fun and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. Everything about this place was awesome — highly recommend!

The food is really good, I loved the tuna poke salad. The place is perfect to go in summer. The service is kind, they bring water to my dog. Pet friendly. The drinks so good too.

Great views from the porch that backs directly up to the beach. Short walk to the lighthouse. We split the 4 pc walleye meal that came with 3 sides. The cornbread was good. Mac n cheese was too creamy and didnt care for it. Sweet potato fries were good. Walleye portion was good. Friendly service. Very crowded for a Tuesday afternoon lunch crowd.

Pere Marquette Park is a picturesque public beach located on the shores of Lake Michigan, boasting white sands and stunning views of a lighthouse. The park is home to The Deck, a beachfront restaurant that has undergone significant renovations over the years to offer live music, ample seating, and family-friendly activities. Nearby, Dockers Fish House at Harbor Town Marina provides visitors with delicious dining options and breathtaking views of Muskegon Lake.
We watched the sunset on the beach here and it was absolutely stunning. The sand is so soft and bright. It’s a decent walk from the parking area to the shoreline, but worth it. They have a huge park, a pier you can walk to a lighthouse and great public restrooms. There’s also a cool restaurant chill space that hosts concerts called The Deck. We will be back!

This was my first time at Pere Marquette beach. It was absolutely lovely. I enjoyed the walks along the pier. The scenery was just beautiful! I came at a good time, as there was no paid parking after September 15th. The beach was clean the water was clear. I've been passed here on busy days and I don't think I would want to be here when it's busy but today there was very few people
Twila K — Google review
I love this park. I drove all the way from Ohio just to see this beautiful beach and to see lake michigan. Such a beautiful site to see that words just can't be put into. I visited it most recently and it was really crowded but that's to be expected in summer. My last visit before this summer was when I lived in muskegon and I visited in late fall/winter and that was also wonderful. But just very cold. 🤣
Robert T — Google review
Great beach. The water and sand was clean. They have bathrooms and changing areas. A small café with a small menu and ice cream. Outdoor shower to rinse the sand off. A large playground. A walking mat for easier walking to the beach, this is great if you have a wagon or in a wheelchair. At the end of the walking mat they have tables for family's that have someone in a wheelchair in their group. They even have an area with tools for bike repairs. The restaurant The Deck is also located on the beach. The Deck has great food, drinks and entertainment on certain nights. The only con is that they raised the parking fee to 10.00.
Tammy C — Google review
The beach was great beautiful. Parking enforcement is terrible. You can see by the pictures I posted that there was one meter out (there was also a second one out, not pictured) that had two parking enforcement patrols park adjacent to the meter that was out of order, both actively writing tickets for cars parked near the meters that were not working. What a terrible way to represent the city.
C M — Google review
clean sand with rocks, pebbles, or shells unless you in the water even then it's clear. plenty of parking on both sides of the beach and way more usable beach then in prior years

Great place to relax. I haven't been there in years, but I see that they now have an area for food, drinks, and live entertainment! Just visit! You won't be disappointed.

Unruly Brewing Company is a vibrant craft brewery located in Muskegon, offering a wide range of American ales and an assortment of sandwiches. It's known for its lively atmosphere, diverse beer lineup including seasonal and experimental brews, and the distinction of being the first brewery to brew beer in Muskegon since 1957. The brewery also features an outdoor beer garden, live music events, and free tours.
I am very pleased with my experience at Unruly Kitchen. Did you know that their tacos are only $ 1 on Thursdays? Yes, and their tacos are delish. Staff are personable and attentive - service is excellent. Unruly cares about it's customers, as noted by the yellow safety paint on the step down, front entrance. Well done, I say. I am a fan of Unruly Kitchen.

Love this place!! Paul and his sous chef are the kindest of kind and very accommodating. Bar drinks were also yummy and they offer flights. Would definitely come here again as this is ashtray my second time this week.

Definitely a dive, has bands here, drinks and food are all self service, you order and you bring to your table or chair. A bit no frills but works well here. People are generally friendly and helpful here. These guys make their own spirits and beer, the former I tried for whiskey and it’s very good. The Beer, I has a Tirim and it’s quite good too. I eat the Turkey the Barbadian, and it made fresh and hot, and they give you a tag to signal you when it’s ready - great when it’s crowded and or when it’s loud with a band. The TTB is quite excellent! And with chips too. Well worth it here, will come back again!
Tom K — Google review
Friendly staff at food and beverage counters. Took the time to explain beer menu and what flavors usually compliment others. My gf said she enjoyed all the choices and I enjoyed stuffing my face with some lighter fare of food choices.
Rodney H — Google review
We visited Unruly for an event that we paid to get into. Purchasing sub-par wiskey at $10.00 per shot. We were then told by the bartender that they "aren't serving ice water" when asking for a water. She told me to "drink from the drinking fountain " Absolutely ridiculous that you'd want patrons of your establishment to not be responsible while drinking. I WILL NOT drink from a drinking fountain like an adolescent child! If it's a time management issue at the bar then buy bottled water for your events and we'd gladly pay for it! I have NEVER been told at any establishment that they can't serve me a water. This is VERY poor service and doesn't speak well on your business's part.

The Marine Tap Room, established in 1935, is a historic dive bar known for its friendly atmosphere, affordable drinks, and a good selection of pub food. The bar hosts weekly events such as karaoke nights and live music performances. Visitors praise the welcoming staff and the delicious pizza served at this neighborhood watering hole. Situated across from the water, it's considered a hidden gem in Muskegon and a favorite spot for locals to enjoy cheap drinks and great food.

Mike's Inn is a beloved neighborhood bar in Muskegon that has been a staple of the community for many years. It offers a relaxed atmosphere, budget-friendly drinks, and a friendly staff, making it an ideal place to hang out with friends or unwind after a busy day. The bar hosts regular events such as trivia nights and live music performances. While the interior may be small and dimly lit, the outdoor area is spacious and fenced-in, with a convenient serving area during peak times.
Cheap drinks, dive bar. Fun patio.

Grossly unprofessional service. If you are not a regular do not come here. I work late shifts and I'm in my 30s so I normally show up late night at bars to play pool. I'm typically known to help the staff with the belligerently drunk and clean up as I normally come sober and not to party but just to play pool. I'm originally from Muskegon but I only come here seasonally in the winter for the past few years. The first night I came to this bar trying to play pool there were some 20-year-olds belligerently drunk. It was getting close to closing time and an effort to expedite the game apparently I offended one of those 20-year-olds. And apparently one of those 20-year-olds runs the place because as I proceeded to get a second drink I was told that I was cut off for upsetting the customers. As I tried explaining the situation and how grossly and appropriate this was I was not heard. In fact the bartender was actually quite rude and clearly did not care what I had to say because she did not know me so I must be a significant. It's clear that they do not want new business. The only thing that keeps this bar alive is that they are only late night bar. Pool is $2 a game which is pretty steep. The place looks like it hasn't been updated since the '80s or '90s. The music also has not been updated since the '80s or '90s. It's unfortunate that this is the type of behavior that they cater to instead of a more mature crowd. I wish Lakeshore tavern was still open. If you are new to town or visiting town and trying to find a place to get together with friends to spend time and money this is not the place. I fully intend on letting my local friends know the way I was treated. It's a small town and they can do what they want with that information. Apparently this is where you can go to hang out with belligerently drunk 20-year-olds that run the show and get away with terrible behavior.

Very rude staff, kicked us out after 3 minutes of being there. No one goes there unless the other bars are closed but honestly there are tons of welcoming bars in Muskegon to spend money on. There’s a reason there’s tons of detail 1 stars and vague 5 stars

Good pours, decent price, friendly bar tender (bearded guy). Seems very much like a local hang out which I liked.

Not bad for a dive bar but drink prices seem to be gouging. I heard some people are boycotting Mike’s this year during bike time because of it, I may now too after seeing tonight’s prices. Shouldn’t be this much for a dive bar.

Great dive bar in a great location. definitely our go to spot when we are downtown. Sometimes the crowd can be a little rough but I am very glad they have a dress code and enforce it to cut down on incidents.

Nestled in the heart of Downtown Muskegon, Pigeon Hill Brewing Company is a vibrant hub for craft beer lovers and locals alike. This brewery takes pride in its diverse selection of Michigan-inspired brews, ranging from refreshing lagers to bold stouts and tangy sours—all available on tap. Founded with the vision of creating a welcoming community space, Pigeon Hill embodies local tradition while serving up pints that celebrate the region's rich brewing heritage.
Stopped by shortly after noon on Sunday. Long list of beer on tap. They also made a Bloody Mary for the folks next to us at the bar. Tasty beer. Just snacks but take in food was allowed at that time. The bartender was informative and knowledgeable. Enjoyed our visit.

We hosted our rehearsal dinner here in their event space and Pigeon Hill exceeded all expectations! Price was not only extremely reasonable but service was absolutely top notch. They made sure all of our guests had drinks in hand and served more than enough food to feed everyone. We had a couple special requests, such as serving only appetizers first and then dinner later on, and they were more than accommodating for all of that. Special shout-out to Alana who helped us plan it out from beginning to end, super responsive and helpful all throughout. If I'm ever hosting a large event again, this place will be top of mind!

I absolutely love local breweries. Come here grab some good beers and support a privately owned brewery.

There was a large variety of beers on tap. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The kitchen menu is very limited, with choices of pizza or a soft pretzel. We did enjoy a pizza.
Jim C — Google review
We came with our kids and enjoyed a pizza together. We also had a beer, the guy made a great sweeter recommendation! I was sad they didn’t have any sours, but that’s okay! Cute vibe, super friendly staff, and they even had good local recommendations! We forgot to get a pic of the fresh pizza, it was too good. It was thin crust and super tasty, and was also prepared quickly!

Good beer but might need more indoor seating….thats a bit more comfortable. But….all around, a good time. Great friendly service!!

I love this place for the staff and the beer. Every draft and every to go 6 pack is always top notch. You can really taste how much they care about the product. Pigeon Hill is OG to the brewery scene on the lakeshore and they have been my favorite from the start and still are to this day.

Hamburger Mikeys is a casual eatery that offers burgers, fries, and milkshakes through counter service. Despite its unassuming name, this diner also boasts a full bar with an impressive assortment of craft beers and cocktails. The vibrant ambiance, delectable fare, and friendly staff make Hamburger Mikeys the perfect spot to enjoy a drink and meal with friends. Known for its speedy service and fresh ingredients, this establishment on Third Street is owned by Mike and Mary Jane Burling.
Amazing. Probably the best hamburger in West Michigan as they claim. I tried it while they visited at City Built Brewing Company in Grand Rapids, MI. - Fat Mikey (double cheeseburger) - $12: Everything is designed for the very best burger and it was well executed. The burger was greasy good and the whole thing just melted in your mouth, even the burger. The cheese was melted to perfection and oozed. The Mikey Sauce was really good. The toppings were very well balanced. I found it REALLY hard to complain. - Fresh Hand Cut Fries - $5: ONE POUND! The fries were thin and medium to deep with flavor. They were salted just a touch extra, but in this case, it was actually a compliment. They cool fast, so eat them first and fast. At a serving size of one pound, you should probably share. - Sauces: Mikey Sauce is very good. It has its own spice blend, but it is light enough not to be overwhelming. It is just right. Wild Mikey Sauce was my favorite. The chipotle was perfectly balanced with a sweetness that aggressively and boldly grabs your taste buds. I’m coming back for more for sure! I want to try the Cajun Kaja Mayo. - Service: Tim was taking orders and has a MASSIVE connection personality. He clicked with everyone in line and walked around to talk about your experience. He is the face of Hamburger Mikey and for VERY good reasons. He was knowledgeable, helpful, and REALLY positive. - Atmosphere: They were visiting at City Built Brewing Company, so I cannot say much about the restaurant. It was super cool to see them collaborate, though! - Conclusion: I have nothing to complain about except that they are not in Grand Rapids. I want to visit their actual location and think about it more, but I would say at this point, they are probably the very best burger in West Michigan. Visited January 1, 2025, which was Wednesday, at 12pm.

My old friend from Michigan posted a guy trying the food out so when I came for a visit from Oklahoma I wanted to try it. Burgers were great. I loved the sauce. I think it was Mikey sauce. And we got a big bag of fries that 3 of us couldn't finish. We just didn't hear our number called out so we waited a bit longer for our food. I forgot to take a pic of food before I started devouring it. So enjoy the half eaten burger pic

Best burger in the country!!! Stopped in today on a whim and am not disappointed at all! Got the fat Mikey with onions, green olives and Mikey sauce on it with pepper jack cheese. Most delicious Burger have ever had in all of my travels across this country! Let me tell you about the fries delicious by themselves but dip them in the wild Mikey sauce and it is amazing. The staff here is great super friendly and answered all questions I had. The atmosphere here awesome ,the music is good and jamming. if you're ever in Muskegon Michigan stop in hamburger Mikey, you will not regret it! I rate this place 100 out of 10. Definitely would recommend and anytime I stop here in Muskegon I will definitely come back!

They accommodated my taste buds quite adequately as they allowed me to build my own burger. All fresh ingredients and locally sourced beef patties. Highly recommended...Jamie took my order and he was phenomenal, Larz also backed me up on the grill and did his damn thang. The burger was 🔥🔥🔥🚒🚒🚒

What a fantastic place! The service was fantastic, they even came to check on us while we were eating to see if we liked it. The food was so good! Double cheeseburgers for all 4 of us and my hubby even tried the burger of the month. It sounded crazy but it was good! Fries are to die for, they’re crispy enough for those of us that like just a bit of crunch and not too crispy for those floppy fry lovers! The sauces, get them! They’re worth it. The one with heat and bbq sauce(I forgot the name) but I loved it even though I hate spices! We sat at the bar and the vibe was just perfect. Adults and kids will love this place! We would HIGHLY recommend, and if you’re like us and try to eat PBJ sandwiches to save money on trips….. spend the money here for your splurge meal!

This was our first time to eat here, we've been intrigued by the reviews and word-of-mouth recommendations and we certainly can see why this place is so special. My husband really enjoyed his burger and I had a good grilled cheese. There are lots of options available to dress up your order. We shared an order of fries as the portion is huge! Delicious shoestring style with lots of optional dipping choices. We really liked the informal, counter-style seating, and definitely appreciated the staff checking on us during our meal. Delightful & unique place for sure ❤️ *As a vegetarian I was hoping for a plant-based burger, maybe in the future?

Went here for the first time happened to be on NYE. They had a reservation only party happening with limited walk ins. Dinner per person was $75 which came as a shock to us but I guess we didn’t call ahead and didn’t care to find somewhere else. We stayed had amazing food, drinks and service. Would love to go here during normal times and have some pizza. Overall a really cool place to be.
Sierra T — Google review
Atmosphere & staff was great! Our server was very friendly and attentive. The bar fries and pizza was very tasty- would definitely order them again. The reason why I only gave 4 stars is because of the desserts. The peach crumble the ice cream in my opinion was just too strong of a bourbon flavor and some of the peaches we very hard in texture. Then the other dessert the bacon tasted good, but once again there was a strong flavor of bourbon (I believe it was in the carmel). I personally would not order either again, but someone else might enjoy that flavor.
Katlynn K — Google review
This place rocks. Great cocktails made with their own spirits. I had the smoked old fashioned and really enjoyed it. Others in my group enjoyed their drinks too. Atmosphere is cool. Space makes you wonder what it was like back in the day. Decor and bar fit the atmosphere well. Service was good. We received our food very quickly. Pizza and truffle fries tasted great. The Tommy guy on the wall is an excellent finish.

I love the atmosphere at 18th Amendment. There’s plenty of lounge seating and the spaciousness of the place feels great. The old fashioned bar is beautiful too. I got two cocktails, the Damson and Dick’s Original Twist, along with a pizza, the Rancher. Everything was great, but I think I liked the Damson cocktail the best. The pizza was hot with fresh ingredients, and it was perfectly chewy. I haven’t had a bad experience dining here yet, and I highly recommend it.

So beautiful! This used to be the former Savings and Loan Bank. The outside still looks as such and the inside still has touches of the old bank. You step into this building and you are brought back in time but with a new spin of course. This is not the normal everyday bar.. From the cocktails to the food everything is hand crafted, takes time to make, and tastes amazing! This is a MUST for anyone stopping in Muskegon and wants to enjoy good service, amazing food/drinks, and atmosphere.
Elisa — Google review
Average experience, fries were cold and soggy (but the refunded them) I got the wrong drink, but enjoyed it. (Was charged for both) The servers wear gloves to drop off your food... but the open kitchen cook does not to touch it as he plates it up and slides it off the paddle?? Seemed a bit under managed on a Sunday, no one was unkind or rude, but they were throwing stuff from the kitchen area to a trash can behind the bar, and perhaps the food wouldn't have sat and waited if someone would have helped the 1 server rather than play around. For $101, I was a bit underwhelmed I would go again, just maybe for drinks and the vibe.. not for a family lunch after a farmers market trip.
Amanda J — Google review
We had a lovely time here- excellent service by the cutest bartender ever, killer cocktails and very good pizza! The space is huge and industrial and gorgeous- those bar stools are bad news tho, so pick a couch if you can!
Jo B — Google review
What a treat! I dont even know where to start! The building itself is just beautiful, exposed brick, artfully decorated, spacious and cozy at the same time. Very welcoming. The service was perfect, from the greeting to the ordering, service, and final bill. Now...the drinks! Amazing, crafted with innovation and perfection. The bourbon is so smooth, a bottle to take home was a must. The food...wood fire pizza, whitefish dip, artichoke dip, stuffed peppers, olive dip, sweet corn dip....all AMAZING! Too bad this place isn't closer to home for it would definitely be a regular spot for us! Thank you for a good experience, great drinks and delicious food.

Socibowl by Pigeon Hill is a multifaceted entertainment venue that offers a full-service restaurant, duckpin bowling alley, and an indoor beer garden with various games. The indoor beer garden provides a communal space where patrons can enjoy the outdoors when the weather permits. Reservations are not required for duckpin bowling, and there are other free games available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Drinks and food were good. The mozzarella sticks were definitely the best dish we had there! The burgers were good and so were the fries! The grilled chicken on the salad was so incredibly dry. The dressing did not help at all. I would not recommend ordering a salad. The garlic parmesan wings were delicious! The nash chicken sandwich was also very good! The bowling was such a great time!! We had a blast playing the yard games as well! We can't wait to come back!

Great place for a drama free, fun night out with friends. The waitstaff was great. The food was decent. We were super happy there was gluten free pizza crust available and a great drink menu. Not open too late though, so if you're hoping for dinner and drinks after the show at the nearby theater, you might need to look elsewhere.

Looked like a good place to get away from the sun during the Lakeshore Art Festival so my daughters and I stopped in for a bite. Relatively busy, we waited about half an hour for our food. When we did get our food, a side of fries were cold (which they remade fresh) but the portions were pretty small, especially for the price. The servers are nice and the atmosphere is fun, but the prices and portions are definitely to be desired.

Stopped in on the way out to Milwaukee. Have to say, I never knew Muskegon had such an AWESOME place to go. We have family that lives here now so expect us back at somepoint soon (From Detroit). Hobo's Tavern is a charming pub with stonework and a warm fireplace, offering a diverse menu and live music on Thursdays. Guests have raved about the generous portions and delicious dishes such as spinach and artichoke dip, beyond burger with fries, vegetarian burrito, Oreo crust peanut butter pie, Pomegranate cocktail, Fuzzy Peach cocktail, tender ribs, fish and veggies. The attentive service from staff members like Linda has left patrons impressed.
TLDR: We’ve visited this place several times now and have always been satisfied by the pleasant service, good food, and comfortable atmosphere. This visit, I ordered a PIGEON HILL BEACH PLEASE (sooo good and refreshing and I appreciated that they had it on tap). We ordered the Pork BBQ Nachos (Hand pulled pork tossed in hickory house BBQ, covered in cheddar cheese and topped with lettuce, tomatoes, corn, red onion and black beans) and I am told that they were “gewd” 🤣. I ordered the Fettuccine Vodka Alfredo (A blend of northern Italian marinara and Parmesan cream sauce. With Chicken Scallopini, Shrimp - what I got 😎- or Blackened Atlantic Salmon) and it was delicious. The pasta was perfectly cooked, however, I felt like the shrimp were undercooked and I left a couple behind because the texture wasn’t good/edible. The bread that the pasta was served with, though?? I didn’t expect there to be garlic toast and it was probably the best I’ve ever had! The parents ordered the Beer Battered Cheese Curds (they weren’t as hungry as we were) and I had one to try, and holy cow were they good! The best cheese curds/cheese sticks/cheese anything as an appetizer I’ve ever had. I’d highly recommend these! We’ve been here before; we’ll be here again. Make sure to cook the shrimp a bit more, kitchen! 🙏

This place is great! There are basically 2 different types of restaurants side by side. One is fancy and the other is like a sports bar, with TV's and full bar, that is combined with steakhouse restaurant. The food is awesome and so is the staff. We did the combo dinner and had steak, which was cooked to perfection and fish which was excellent also. There is also a amazing center place between the 2 restaurants which is beach themed and has palm trees and water falls. Great place for drinks and talking with an appetizer. There is something for everyone here.

Came here with my wife for dinner. It had been on my want-to-go list for years, so I was excited to finally visit it 😊 To start, I like the interior! It definitely has a cool tavern vibe. I especially like the fireplace, its so cool! Service was good, I can't remember what our waiters name was but he was nice and very attentive. The service was quick as well, I was impressed! We started off with the pretzel sticks. Those were good! Nice and pillowy with a legit beer cheese dip! I also ordered a cup of the crab mornay stew, which way back when I first looked this place up, was actually why I saved it to my list! And I must say it did not disappoint! Its nice and rich with a pleasant flavor and a generous amount of crab. For my entree I got the fettuccine vodka Alfredo. That was pretty good! The sauce has nice flavor and so does the chicken scallopini that came with it. And don't forget to try their alcohol! The peanut butter white Russian is wonderful!

Everything was great. Our server was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. We got the wet burrito and blackened salmon. My cocktail was also made perfect. I wanted one of the yummy desserts I seen a waitress take to someone else's table, but I was too full. I will definitely return when I'm in the area.

It was very busy, and they still got our food out ten minutes after ordering. Not to mention it was amazing food! Definitely recommend.
Avaarose — Google review
Fantastic atmosphere, super open and clean but still pretty chill. The 2 hostesses greeted us and we asked for a booth at which time they had a decently long conversation about which section to seat us in. Menu prices were overall pretty pricey for the quality. I got the wood blackened bbq chicken with mashed potatoes and Italian veggies. The chicken was thin and it looked less blackened and more just grilled. The BBQ sauce was definitely on the sweeter side. The mashed potatoes were ok and the veggies were pretty good. I got a bourbon (my first time trying bourbon so I went with the sweetest one) and it was plenty strong but the taste was just not something I could handle, it was giving me a stomach ache after 2 sips so I asked the waitress to see if we could take it off our bill and just have her take it back. She said sure, turned half away and made a face and left with it. If she had said "no" politely or even just a "sorry, no". I would have felt better than the judgement I got. The Pepsi was also watered down and at that point I just kinda gave up and finding something I liked there. My husband got the vodka soaked fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and a strawberry lemonade. He enjoyed his meal well enough and liked the sweeter BBQ on my chicken but both of us saw the face and agreed that the service side wasn't the greatest. I don't think we'll be back.

Hank's Tavern, a sports bar owned by renowned restaurateur Hoby Thrasher in Muskegon, offers a sophisticated yet relaxed ambience. This establishment serves a combination of American and Mexican cuisine, with an emphasis on delectable bar fare. Start your meal with tantalizing appetizers such as hand-dipped onion rings or fresh guacamole accompanied by tortilla chips.
We were on a road trip and decided to give Hank’s Tavern a try after hearing good things about their gluten-free options. The vibe was super relaxed and welcoming. We sat on the patio, which was really charming with its covered area and pretty window planters full of flowers. The whole experience was great, and our server, Alex, was super sweet and attentive. I went with the gluten-free 1/2 pound BLT sandwich and a side salad with balsamic vinaigrette, while the Mr. opted for the gluten-free kickin' chicken sandwich with a side salad too. We both had Pepsi to drink. Honestly, that BLT was hands down the best I’ve had in a restaurant! The gluten-free bun was fluffy, perfectly toasted, and didn’t even taste gluten-free. The bacon was crispy, the mayo was just right, and the tomato slice covered the whole sandwich, so every bite was spot on. The salad was fine, but the vinaigrette could have used a bit more kick. I’m seriously still thinking about that BLT—I should’ve gotten one to-go! I highly recommend Hank’s Tavern. They’re fantastic at handling dietary restrictions, the food is delicious, and it’s a great place to sit back and enjoy your meal.

Hank’s was my absolute favorite place to dine! Recently had a bad experience. Celebrating our anniversary 8/26/25. Ordered the hobo special as I always do , ordered well done. Ate half at the restaurant and took the rest home for leftovers. As I began eating my leftovers and got towards the middle of the hamburger patty it was pink. I took photos , called the restaurant the next day and the manager said since I did not have the meat still there was nothing she could do as it was their policy. I informed her I had photos and she still offered nothing not even an apology initially. Never had an unpleasant experience until Now. The customer service experience was dissatisfying and handled poorly. I hope any customer concerns are handled better in the future. I don’t see myself dining there again considering the response from management.

I was looking for a local dinner option and found a really good option! Beautiful day and luckily they have outside seating even though inside looked nice. Good menu options for all and the shrimp tacos was on point! Service was really good while it was busy and didn't take long at all. Plus it was really good prices!

Not from the area, we were drawn to Hank's based on other positive reviews posted about the gluten free options available on the menu. I got the Black n Bleu Burger, and was not disappointed. I would definitely seek this place out once I'm back in this area again.

Hank's Tavern is where it is AT in Muskegon. The food was amazing, fresh and hot. The server (Jessica) kept our drinks topped off and was very understanding of our Gluten Allergies. The GF bun was THE best I've ever had, didn't turn to mush and break apart like every other one I've ever eaten. I had the Turkey club on a GF bread with a Garden Salad and my hubby had the 50/50 burger with fries. Both of us greatly enjoyed our meal and will be back when we end up back on that side of the state. Thank you Hank's Tavern to making people with food allergies feel welcome and understood! Ya'll are onto something great!!

My husband and I had dinner and drinks here for the first time on a Monday evening. They have more than beer. They have a small selection of wine and liquor drinks. The food menu is small, but offers a good selection. They have St. Patty's day specials alright now as well. It's a big space with quite a bit of bar seating and table seating. I had the Reuben and it was good. Let me tell you that I am typically not a reuben fan, but I'm trying to broaden my horizons. The only thing I would recommend is that they toast their bread more and or make the bread thicker so that it is not such a "limp" sandwich. My husband got the bowl of SCP Cactus Chili and absolutely loved it. Personally, it was a bit too sweet, which was different to me but it did have a decent taste. I had the whiskey sour on nitro which was perfectly balanced in my opinion. The service was good and the environment was welcoming.

They have an awesome selection of beers and offer other types of cocktails as well, so there is something for everybody. You can also order food on the same tab, which is much more convenient than brewpubs with a food truck outside. Our group thoroughly enjoyed our visit!

8 Feb 2022: party of 5 tonight, 4 checks, Bella was our server. Very helpful and confirmed that SOYBEAN oil is used in the fryer. Our party had 16 oz Ribeye, fantastic. Burgers and chicken tender basket got no complaints from our friends. Bonus photos of some HUGE wet burritos! Ummm, it’s not on the menu… but order a lavender hibiscus frozen margarita and or a red Sangria and enjoy a great local place. Plenty of parking, bathrooms clean and well stocked, atm, touch tunes, lots of high hairs, handicap friendly. Our group met up about 5ish on a Tuesday and was not busy. We timed it perfectly! DELIVERY AND CARRYOUT!! 2018: Fun place, but not for large groups. We waited over an hour for our dinner, with a group of 13, the staff kept our drinks coming, checked on us frequently, kept chips and salsa full....The steaks were great, 12 oz rib eye with bourbon sauce.. great, appetizers awesome, service good. Large portions, good value. Bathrooms clean. Small outdoor seating area doubles as smoking section. Can be loud, if you're looking for quiet dining, this isn't your place, when it’s busy

Amazing service and food!! If you love dive bars like me, you’ll love this place! The waitstaff were attentive to our every need! Food was cooked to perfection! No entertainment. Old vibes, but clean. Would maybe add some tunes for some ambience.

Food was great and plentiful. They don’t skimp on portions. The beef burrito was massive put a hurting on me. The wife’s chicken sandwich was more than she could handle, she said it was very juicy. Chicken burrito was my buddies and was packed with flavor. Wait for food was a little long, but not bad as we weren’t in a hurry. Definitely worth a visit.

We went on a burrito mission. There was so much yummy looking food coming out of the kitchen I wanna go back. The deep fried cauliflower looked like it was 2 heads of cauliflower and a meal in itself Ok back me. Hands down get the poppers. I’m not a hot person and I thought they had heat but nothing unbearable. These things arrive to the table and seriously look like a dinosaur egg. And they are DE-lisious. The sauce it comes with is like a creamy cheese but has some sweetness. I got the mini beef and bean wet burrito and it was like a normal size burrito. I love that it came with sour cream in the burrito. For the price this burrito is awesome. The red sauce was super cumin flavor. It was not horrible just not my favorite. A friend got the chicken burrito with white sauce and it was good. I’d get that. The drinks were kinda pricy but totally pretty potent!

3 stars for wait time and missing food Waitress was phenomenal! Food was cooked to perfection! A+++ BUT we waited 45 minutes for an appetizer, and food followed about 45 mins after that. But we were missing 1 of the plates, and we were all done eating before he got his food. But the food was awesome once it got there! Because the food was SO AMAZING, I'd return and give them another chance to see if wait times are better

A hidden gem! Please... if you've never been here, you need to add SkeeTown into your rotation. I've never had a bad experience. All the dishes are generous, especially if you aren't familiar with the Tavern portion sizes.

Nice pick for birthday dinner! Good food, great drinks! A little pricey for what/where it is, but still a fun atmosphere. The gator was tasty!

Barbecue restaurant
Restaurant
Dr. Rolf's Barbeque is a popular spot in downtown Muskegon, run by a local family. The restaurant offers a variety of dishes, including 2 meat platters and tacos with different flavors like brisket with pickled onions and radishes. Customers praise the delicious food, such as chicken things, ribs, collard greens, and fried apples. The atmosphere is described as welcoming and nostalgic due to its location in an old building with tall tin ceilings and reclaimed wood decor.
Local eatery on the strip in Muskegon Michigan. The barbecue what can I say I've traveled the Midwest and I have had a lot of barbecue this is definitely in the top 10 I mean how can you go wrong it's barbecue. Well worth the trip for the brisket. And a nice variety of sauces if that's your kind of thing.
Curtis B — Google review
My family and I decided to venture down from Cadillac area to try this bbq. It was decent. There were some good things and some not so good things. We tried the flight of Chili's and each had 2 meats and 2 sides platters. We had the pulled pork (oddly had a tang flavor) and the brisket. We had the fried apples which was good. It was like a super cinnamon drenched sliced apple pie without the crust. Potato salad, coleslaw, sweet potato mash and the cornbread muffins. The white chili was fine, the red chili was the best tasting and the green chili tasted like a tamale without the massa. Overall, decent food. Nothing mind blowing. Probably won't go out of our way to eat there again but it was a good try. Service was fast and friendly. They should add a pork fat fried French fries side or something too.
Sammantha B — Google review
Food was ok. Glad we tried it. Their ribs are not cooked with the bbq sauce we were kind of disappointed as they were a tad bit dry. Mac and cheese was not good at all. Everything else was good.

I can't believe how highly rated this place is. But I doubt people in this area let alone Michiganders know what real and good BBQ is. Given how the food in this state is hit or miss and simply not good. I'm a Texan so I love BBQ. I wanted to be open minded with this place and I saw a news program on this place and from what I saw it looked good. My husband and I went here last Friday. While looking over the menu he noticed there were no family options. Basically one, two, or three meats with oh so many sides for a certain price. We ordered a 1lb of brisket, 1lb of ribs, and 2 sausage links. Sides don't come with it so we ordered potato salad, Cole slaw, and buttered beans. Now this is where the order went wrong and pissed both of us off. Their portion size is terrible especially for the price. You can go to Popeyes or Lee's and they have bigger pint sizes for their sides. This place only gives you a HALF of pint for $4 freaking dollars and for a FAMILY size meal lol. That's a joke and a rip off! My husband and I couldn't even share the sides lol. He got half and I got half which was basically a table spoon each. Seriously Dr.Rolf that's how you do customers? The waitress lady didn't say the pint size she just said "if you look over there that's the cup size". Confused, because it was very small, I said "well there's two so which one", and she said the bigger cup is for chilli. Really? My husband and I both looked at each other confused and I was about to tell him to just forget the sides but he already paid. We did let the waitress know that was too small and for two people. It was silly small so for future reference to other customers if you are ordering a big order/family don't get the sides. For what you get and pay isn't worth it. You can go to Aldi and get a container of potato salad and cole slaw for the same price and it actually tastes good and has flavor. Rolf's Cole slaw was dry and flavorless and definitely not worth $5. The potato salad was good though. The buttered beans had a good flavor but the beans themselves were hard and weren't edible the next day. I threw them out. If you are going to have Lima beans as your beans then you need to actually COOK them! Make sure they get soft. The ribs were dry and had that nasty Swanson's beef broth flavor. I couldn't finish and threw them out. The brisket was good but wasn't cut the way brisket is usually cut. They just gave us a bunch of oversized fatty and stringy meat slabs. The meat was too fatty. More fat than meat. The sausage was decent. Cornbread was hard and dry. This is where the experience was ruined. Apparently they also don't give family size sauces or just let the customer get how many sauces they want. Their sauce containers are those small plastic individual containers. For our sauces we got peach, blackberry, and regular. For all the meat we ordered that definitely wasn't enough sauce. We asked for more and the waitress said "I gave you all you are allowed to get but I'll give you more". Again confused like what. Apparently you are only allowed so much sauce with your meal lol. For $77 and some change you better give me what I ask and am entitled to as a paying customer. My husband explained how we ordered 2lbs of meat and that wasn't enough sauce. I've never been limited sauce at a BBQ establishment or any establishment. My husband doesn't get frustrated like that with restaurants but even he said them limiting the sauce killed it for him. I would say it was definitely disappointing and didn't live up to the hype. I personally wouldn't eat at this place only if I found a really good BBQ place, and it was either too far, or closed that day and this was my only option. I also wouldn't order their sides. Unless they make changes. The tiny sizes are only good if you are eating in the restaurant or take out for one person. For family sizes you need family portions. Also their Carolina sauce is TERRIBLE. I don't know what kind of liquidy sauce that was but it was nasty and vinegary. Not the Carolina sauce I'm used to.

I had been wanting to try this olace for a out a year now! I ordered the one meat and two sides platter one was brisket with a chile and green beans the other chicken with mac and cheese and tater tots. The portions were small for the price and the service was not great. The place is small but there is extra seating outside. The menu was limited and didn't have options I thought a bbq place would like baked potatoes ect...but the food was hot and it came out very fast. The was some flavor, the brisket was a little juicy chicken was dry. Sauces were too sour maybe went bad but we didn't enjoy any of them. Sides were just OK mac and cheese was gritty and separating, beans were mostly mushy onions and tatertots were crispy but a little cold chile tasted like ketchup. For not alot of food we had alot left over, left hungry and out about 50 bucks haha But still glad I got to try the place out and enjoyed sitting by the wondow watching the people and birds ✌🏾

Dr. Rolf’s catered our wedding a few years ago and we continue to enjoy every experience before that and after. The food remains very consistent, hearty and flavorful. My brother said it was the best BBQ he’d ever had and he was visiting from the south! The particular experience today was another great one. We always get very good service here but our server today named Kayleigh was especially attentive, quick and very friendly to the point we got legitimately comfortable talking to her. Dr. Rolf’s remains this foodie’s favorite restaurant!

Our server was brand new and was trying her absolute best! We went on Mother’s Day in the afternoon.keep in mind we had an 8 month old to entertain. We were there for 30 mins before we got drinks or anyone to say anything to us. We were there for an hour before we got apps and over an hour and a half before we got our entree (we put them all in at the same time) . We ordered the chips and mango salsa. Mango salsa was extremely watery. It was still pretty good tho. We also ordered the 2 meats and 2 sides. We ordered brisket and chicken things. Our sides were coleslaw and Mac and cheese. We tried to swap the coleslaw for a different side because we did not like it and there was a couple big chicks of the cabbage in there (picture below) and they did not give it to us as they stated that their menu says “they offer samples prior to ordering the side” (as I am typing this I realized they changed us for the tater tots and did not give them to us.) We were extremely frustrated and disappointed with the service of the manager. Our waitress was trying her best for being so new. Thank you to our server but no thank you to returning.

Stopped by tonight for dinner. I can say I was not very impressed. I had the two meat dinner and chose brisket and chicken breast. It tasted like the brisket had been sitting out for awhile. The chicken breast did not have a good smoke flavor and was very dry. The Mac and cheese looked delicious but then was not very good. My wife had the brisket crunch wrap and that was very good. I really enjoyed the fried apples.

The restaurant had a nice ambiance, and we were seated immediately without any wait time. Service was fast, but unfortunately, our server was not attentive and made multiple errors with our order. We’re vegetarians and had asked before seating if they could accommodate, but many items we requested couldn’t be made vegetarian as promised. The nachos with beans we ordered had flies sitting on the food, which they replaced. We also tried to order nacho fries, but they couldn’t fulfill it due to cross-contamination in the fryer. It’s worth noting they make their chips in clean oil each morning and serve those throughout the day. However, the street corn was cold and soggy, likely microwaved or left sitting in liquid. The veggie fajitas were mostly onions with no mushrooms, despite the menu listing them, and they couldn’t offer a substitute for the rice cooked in meat broth. Overall, while the ambiance and quick service were appreciated, the experience was overshadowed by the lack of attention to detail and disappointing vegetarian options. Good for late night dinner as rest of the town is closed

Very good food, friendly staff, and the restaurant has ample room for larger groups. We were the second or third group of ten people and there were still many available booths for smaller parties. The noise level was low so everyone could talk. The food portions were very large.

Flies, Mistakes, and Inedible Food – Very Disappointing Experience Our experience at this restaurant in Muskegon, MI, was deeply disappointing. It seemed like the best option available, but even then, it didn’t come close to meeting our expectations. We ordered Double Veggie Fajitas, Nacho Fries, a pitcher of margaritas, and street corn. When the server asked if we wanted salt or sugar on the rims of our margaritas, we specifically requested two with salt and one with sugar. However, she brought all three with sugar, which was frustrating. The fajitas were another letdown. They were loaded with onions but completely missing mushrooms, which were mentioned in the menu. This made the dish feel incomplete. The street corn was cold and practically inedible—it seemed like it had been sitting out for far too long. Worst of all, the place was overrun with flies. They were constantly landing on our food, and we spent the entire meal trying to swat them away. It was unsanitary and made eating almost impossible. One of our dishes even had to be replaced because a fly landed directly on it. While they did replace the dish, it didn’t make up for the poor overall experience. Sadly, we didn’t have many other dining options in Muskegon, but this place fell short on multiple fronts—poor service, unsanitary conditions, and subpar food. We won’t be coming back and definitely can’t recommend this place unless they make some serious improvements.

Had a somid meal here. Got the Carnitas which are solid. Service is a little slow between lunch and dinner but ill live. Chips are a little over fried but salsa is food. My only real critisism is they have no hot sauce of their own. Overall stop in. its pretty good

The menudo was pretty good - nice spice level but the tripe was a little undercooked. I'd try it again here though. The chips and salsa were great! loved that salsa! Service was friendly but I think they were understaffed on a Saturday night.

Nestled in Muskegon, Joe Chan's Bistro is a delightful spot that promises an enjoyable dining experience for everyone. Known for its inviting atmosphere, the bistro features dim lighting that creates a relaxed vibe perfect for unwinding after a long day. The menu boasts an array of options including vegetarian dishes and kid-friendly meals, making it ideal for families.
TLDR: good food, great service, not too expensive. The crab Rangoons are AMAZING!! Drinks need a little help, as does atmosphere, but those won’t keep me from leaving a 5 star review! My bf was excited to try this place as it had been years since he had gotten to experience the ✨magic✨ of Joe Chan that he remembered from his youth 🤣. We started with drinks: He ordered a Pink Cadillac (Tequila, Triple sec, Sour mix and Cranberry) and I ordered a vodka soda with a lime. They were so incredibly strong that we both made faces upon first sip 😵🤣. The lime in my drink couldn’t cut the vodka. Good on them for making strong drinks, but we enjoy a well-made cocktail, and we couldn’t stomach these ones. I then ordered the CHOCOLATE martini (Vodka, Baily's & Kahlua) hoping that the sweet nature of it and space it took on the specials menu would make it a better drink… not so much, unfortunately. I ended up ordering a soda water. Our server was super friendly and recognized that I wasn’t enjoying my drinks and took them off the bill without me asking for it or complaining- she just saw I wasn’t drinking them 🤣. The only reason I’m mentioning the quality of the drinks is that I think this place could be so much better with the right training for the bartending staff. We ordered the Crab Rangoons (Crispy wontons filled with a crab meat and cream cheese blend) and they were FANTASTIC- see photo to see how much crab you get inside- not your typical GFS product, at all! They served it with a duck sauce and a house mustard (if you like horseradish, definitely try it, and if not, steer away because holy cow, was it strong!). This appetizer was the highlight of my meal, for sure! We ordered a Wonton soup, which was delicious but holy cow was it A LOT! HUGE portion size, which is always nice. We took some home for later. We also ordered a Chan's Egg Roll (Hand rolled with pork, ham and shrimp and bean sprouts). I don’t eat meat as a pescatarian but he said it tasted as he remembered it- which is super good. 😎 For mains, we ordered the Sweet & Sour Chicken (Hand Battered garnished with white onion, green pepper and pineapple, drizzled with house made Sweet & Sour sauce) which was thoroughly enjoyed, and just as he remembered from years ago. I ordered the Pad Thai with Shrimp (Stir fried noodles with bean sprouts, carrots, red pepper, scallions and peanuts). It was good, but I didn’t read the description. It definitely was unlike any Pad Thai I’d ever had before, and had I not known it was named that, I wouldn’t have guessed that it was Pad Thai. Like I said, it was good- quite delicious, actually, but you can see from my pics that it’s not as the name suggests. I’d still order it again, but I’m writing about it to give a heads up! Overall, we really enjoyed the food here, as well as the fun conversation with our very attentive server. Granted, we were one of two tables there at 7 on a Sunday, but we appreciated the service. One thing I’d suggest is that the atmosphere could be greatly improved with some music. You can hear in the video I posted that there is sort of an awkward silence with dishes and silverware clashing in the kitchen, as well as full conversations (not muffled). Other than that, I’d say we really enjoyed our dinner and will definitely be back! UPDATE: We came back and didn’t order drinks 🤣 but we did get the sweet and sour chicken again, as well as the shrimp lo mein and they were both delicious! Thanks for great service again!

I’m a huge fan of veggie fried rice & Mongolian beef so I asked our server for her recommendation. She said she likes the veggie fried rice so I took her recommendation & got a large size so I could have leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Oh. My. Goodness. I ended up ordering another small order because it’s so stinking delicious that I didn’t want to stop eating it! I did end up hitting the top of my stomach & still had leftovers so portion sizes are good. This is the best veggie fried rice I’ve ever had ♥️ highly recommended!! I will be back to try the Mongolian Beef… if I can get past ordering the veggie fried rice again!!

Our server Dawn was hands down one of the best! I had the lo main and it was delicious... not your normal noodles much thinner but still very good. The rangoons were very hearty and good. The only complaint we have was the rice, the fried rice needs some improvement. Other than that our entire table enjoyed our food and loved our service!

This restaurant has a good atmosphere that is relaxed with dim lighting to set a good vibe throughout. The food was great. I had the servers recommended steak dish with the oyster sauce that was a 10 out of 10. Two of the kids had the sweet and sour chicken and my other two kids had a hotdog with white rice that they specially requested. The server was very nice and made sure we had everything we needed. The cook came out of the back and said hi to the kids and he gave them candy as we walked out the door! Great staff here and great business all around.

I ordered the orange chicken combo plate.. The portion size was very small. The chicken had a bad flavor like a dirty grease trap after taste. It was to greasy, it was to salty and it was dark cheap cuts of chicken. The eggrolls were to salty and to greasy and also had the dirty grease trap smell and after taste. The sweet and sour sauce was watery and tasted like plain vinegar. I would not recommend! I spent over $40 for very little disgusting food. 🤢

We both got combination plates for dinner. I got the Orange Chicken, and my wife had the Sweet and Sour Shrimp. We both felt the breading was too thick and we could not taste the protien. The crab rangoon was nice and fat with plenty of filling. The wait staff was fine and the atmosphere was also okay.

Racquets Downtown Grill is a fantastic establishment that offers a delectable fish and chips meal, which patrons adore. Additionally, their chicken Philly cheese steak, while some find it slightly lacking in flavor, remains tasty and satisfying. The waitstaff is exceptional, providing excellent service. I originally gave them a five star because of Kuntry Cookin and Jenn the Bartender but they are no longer there. The bar and restaurant was ran down prior to them being there and while they turned it around and brought in a whole new clientele without warning the owner sold the bar and told Kuntry Cookin that they had to be out within a couple of days. This place Sucks!!! I felt as though I was on edge the whole time! People fighting, arguing and women talking at other women. Complete trash of a place! Definitely not a place to bring a date or hang out with friends. But!!!!....if you like to drink and fight!!! Or if your drunk and belligerent..perfect place for you. Place sucks and bar tenders suck!!! Order two beers per person, because that's how long it takes to get your beer, no matter how much you tip. Also...hats off to the Holiday attendee who recommend me to go their. Last time I'll stay there!!!! 5 thumbs down!!!!

Lake Bluff Grille is a charming restaurant with stunning views and a great atmosphere. The Lobster Bisque is rich and creamy, best enjoyed as a side dish. The Perch Sandwich and Faroe Island Salmon are highly recommended. Visitors love the lovely patio with beautiful views, while the updated and clean interior adds to the dining experience. The Jambalaya, Fried Lake Perch, and Lobster Bisque are all delicious and well presented.

I brought my mother here while she was in town visiting and we were provided with outstanding service on the beautiful deck overlooking Muskegon Lake. Our afternoon was perfected by the kind and attentive manager, Darlene, who served us and even offered to take our photo. Our meals were delicious, our glasses never empty and we were never rushed. This made for a very relaxing meal on a gorgeous June afternoon. Lunch diners will enjoy the “pick two” option and the ability to add protein to half salads. I’m glad I took a chance on bringing my mom here while in town because it’s a great representation of what our city has to offer. Friendly people with strong work ethic, great views and exceptional service with a casual (yet upscale) vibe. Redwater is doing something great with this and the Macatawa golf club location, RedRock Grille. Two of my favorite places in the area to take people for lunch while they’re in town.

Edit 6/8/25: Once again, my wife and I visited for a special occasion. We ordered the French Dip with mushrooms and onions and the Salmon Wellington. The Salmon Wellington was the hands-down star of the show. Presentation was amazing, and I have the picture to prove it. It was crispy on the outside, and the salmon was perfectly cooked in the center. It was delicious and very filling, and will definitely be considered for a repeat order during our next visit. The French Dip was decent, but the flavors of each ingredient didn't stand out; it all just tasted like salty meat. That isn't necessarily a bad thing, but I'd strongly recommend that you find something more distinct on their menu. The atmosphere was wonderful as always. Proximity to the golf course and lake makes for one of the most scenic places to eat in the county. Edit 7/23/23: My wife and I celebrated our third anniversary here as well! This place definitely holds up: gorgeous views, good food, and great atmosphere. This time around, I got the Lobster Bisque and Perch Sandwich and my wife got the Faroe Island Salmon. The Lobster Bisque is very rich and creamy. It tastes great, but I'd recommend getting a cup with your entree instead of ordering just a bowl for your meal. The Perch Sandwich was so good I had a hard time putting it down! The salmon was delicious as well. Definitely still putting this high on the list of places to eat for anyone in the area. My wife and I chose to celebrate our second anniversary here at the brand new Lake Bluff Grille, and we were not disappointed! The outdoor seating has a spectacular view of the lake. We just had to take a few pictures to capture the moment. My wife got the Perch Sandwich, and I got the Truffle Mushroom Swiss burger. Delicious, well-cooked, and flavorful, we were pleasantly surprised at the quality of food. We opted for the Raspberry Almond Cake after dinner, which was just as good. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area looking for a nice place to celebrate a special occasion, or even just somewhere to treat yourself.

Appetizers and my tuna was well done. View of the lake is great. Cocktails at the bar well mixed. Service friendly and present. But man was the kitchen sloooooooow. Still worth going--just think of it as more a European time frame rather than American.

Very nice location and very clean and updated inside. Started with sante fe egg rolls and they were not crispy unfortunately, more soft and squishy. Ordered a side salad and it went around the entire place, twice, around once then sat down and around again before I stopped the guy and said that's ours! Food took so long to come out, our server comes to and and says, they're plating the food right now I just checked. 5 minutes later it comes out and we believe she was honest because everything we got was not on the hot and fresh side. The encrusted walleye had bones throughout it one piece being worse than the other. Prime rib was a beautiful thick cut and just remarkable looking, would have been nice if it was hot. The lobster saffron ravioli was fantastic, again not hot. Which of all things should've been the hottest. Nonetheless it was amazing and still extremely edible. Lobster was more there on some than others. The sauce was phenomenal and the shrimp were great also. Chicken Parmesan was on point also fantastic flavor to the sauce and the breading is the real deal exactly what a Chicken Parm should be like. The drinks were made well and Eagle Rare is an option. Would return here once more but definitely would not be back again if the food took as long to come out.

RAD DADS' Tacos & Tequila Bar is a popular spot that has gained a loyal following since its debut in 2018. The bar offers a wide selection of tequila, regionally inspired tacos, and even features multiple pinball machines under its neon-painted, graffiti-laden roof. In addition to its killer grub and punch of personality, the bar also hosts specials like $2 off Margaritas on Mondays and $1 Pound Town Tacos every #TacoTuesday.
We had some amazing tacos and would have had more. The drinks were good and prices weren’t too bad. The atmosphere was great, it overlooks a hockey arena and has many arcade style games you can play. Would recommend it to everyone coming to Muskegon.

LOVED IT. Will definitely be coming back. Food and drinks are amazing, and staff were friendly and quick to serve us. Portions are food sizes , and I was full after a half order of nachos and one taco. Atmosphere was so unique and fun - being in the same building as the Muskegon Lumberjacks play is a bonus! My husband and I played a couple of rounds of skee-ball after our meal. Great experience, will be back. 🙂

Super colorful and neat place to try if you are in the Muskegon area (check out the bathrooms even if you don’t have to “go”.) Casual and unique atmosphere. Outdoor seating area in the summer (and on a Thurs night they had a DJ playing jams outside). Sits in the ice arena but has overhead doors that you can walk in/out of during nice weather months. Self-service bar/food ordering. The tacos we tried were all delicious (the shrimpalicious, fajita fiesta, and Weird Al were all sooo good in their own ways). Also tried the chips and salsa and chips and guac. Chips are nice a crisp with a salt and pepper accent which makes them so good. The salsa was full of flavor (guac was just so-so). Overall- it was a neat experience and worth trying!

Love going to pick up a Togo order I ask for the bridle sprouts with no hot sauce cause it’s so hot it’s inedible. Go pick it up to get yelled at by some angry cook tj get home to have hot sauce smothered on my food, try calling to no answer. Great dinner 👌🏼 yelled at by a cook got charged $15 for food I can’t eat and can’t even get an answered phone call. Not like this place at all!

The food was so yummy!!! The staff was very friendly and this is a dog friendly place. Top notch taco place!

Cool vibes, located above the hockey arena. Delicious, unique food options and fair prices.

We ate here before our cruise last Friday and cane because of the reviews. We were not disappointed. Friendly service from all the staff, excellent food and a clean and inviting environment. To bad we don't live in the area because it would be fun to come back during a hockey game. If you are in the are and like a twist on Mexican food come checks these guys out.

Good food, friendly staff. Interesting atmosphere, being on the outskirts of a hockey rink. Would be fun to be there when a game is happening. Tacos were a bit small for the price of one. (Over $5)

Nestled in a cozy corner, Old Homestead Tavern offers an inviting atmosphere that feels like home. The moment you step inside, the warmth of the staff—Michelle, Teresa, Dana, Heather, Sharon and others—makes you feel like part of the family. With fresh food prepared daily and a lively Keno game to enjoy, there's never a dull moment here.
Ordered take out. The food was great, very friendly staff and the food was ready when I arrived warm and ready to go. The Burger was huge it was the Big Stuff and that it was. We also had fries and onion rings hot and crispy. I recommend trying the Big Stuff and visiting the restaurant. Great food !

First time here and will go back to try more food. The drink and food prices are reasonable. The burger was good but over cooked. The tater tots tasted great. It’s a smaller place with a few pool tables and looks like they do hot dogs and sides on occasion as it was setup for Tigers opening game. There’s a number of tv’s also. Update, been here a number of times now and the males bartenders are not attentive to men whereas the female ones are attentive and nice.

I was in shock when officers approached me for a "complaint" here: I was talking on my phone to a friend (unrelated to anything or anyone at the bar - Stocks and Crypto) Someone listening to what I was saying on my phone- to my friend: They made it as a personal attack to "them" and made a false police report. So as I was about to order a second drink; they or the bar called the cops on me, and the cops escorted me in pretense of being charged with "trespassing". (no report of merit, proof to suggest, or witnesses of truth). I am barred or banned from this place. Which in my opinion: The place is doing me favor, so I wouldn't become a "regular" part of the crowd. I should, but don't want to spend "my time" or "my money" by suing the establishment: On the grounds of discrimination of "creed". Instead - This is their reward on yelp and google too. Update: More to the "experience", I got a hold of the police department - My "crime": On the speaker phone outside of the bar; which a patron was "threaten" by my "presence" there: That's "creed"- which "bothered" them. Thank-you. I will let everyone know they "may not" be welcomed there.
Bernard J — Google review
This little tavern is not for the fain of heart, but if you are looking for a dive bar with good prices, this might be the place for you. The burgers were good and the prices were unbeatable. The staff and regulars don't seem overly welcoming to strangers, but they seem very friendly with each other. When we walked in, I got the feeling that they thought we must be lost, but we heard they sourced their meat locally, so we wanted to check it out. The patio outside allows smoking, so if you aren't into that, then watch out, but if you are, you might enjoy it. If you don't mind slightly sketchy dives, I would say it's worth a try.
Kellea K — Google review
The bar was empty and still waited like 30 minutes for a drink because the bartenders are too busy gossiping instead of doing their job. But it’s still fun in a slightly sketchy way. lol you never know what the crowd will be.

Outstanding service and EXCELLENT prices!! Every time we go in we are treated like family by Michelle, Teresa, Dana, Heather, Sharon and the gang!! This is a true down-home feeling when you walk in this door!! The food is prepared fresh and the Keno is HOT!! The deck is nice for those that want to be outside. The bar is cold for those that want to be inside. For a small place they boast some exceptional beers on tap! Not just the run of the mill "Light Beers"! The staff is always professional and ready to serve! Stop by and I'm 100% sure you will be back! They have 2 pool tables a dance floor, Keno, several booths, tables and an ample bar!

Horrible bartender tonight. Female with shoulder-length black hair. I stood at an almost empty bar for 15 minutes waiting to buy a drink for my wife. On four occasions, the bartender looked direct at me, passed me over, and went to wait on a female patron. Finally, I gave up and had my wife go order her own drink. Surprise, surprise, she was waited on immediately. Real piss poor service.

Older bar with lively locals who are super friendly. Crowd is older during the week. Drinks are cheap and mixed well. Kitchen is small so the menu is limited but their food is good. If they updated it a bit and had a better menu I would definitely give it 5 stars!

Wow. We've tried so many distilleries and restaurants and this place blew us away. Drinks? Top notch in strength, flavor, and fantastic presentation. We had the Berries and Dream and Velvet Sheets drinks. Trey (hope I spelled correctly) was possibly the best bartender we've ever had! I would highly recommend this place! While we didn't eat, all the food looked and smelled amazing as well. If you're in the area definitely check it out! We live an hour away and will definitely be back.

Rode the ferry over from Milwaukee. Stopped for lunch and drinks. The food was right sized not too much on your plate but enough to get a good lunch. Tried the orange soda drink and it was delicious. Taste tested the bourbon and ended up buying a bottle. Nice place to stop.
M G — Google review
I was excited to come here for their monthly brunch. I got "The Good. The bad. The yummy Bowl". It was ok. The meat was super tasty, but the egg in the bowl had a weird texture. I also tasted some of the Southwest Burrito. The ingredients of the burrito weren't cohesive and the meat was dry. The bathrooms were clean and stalls were spacious. They have a baby changing table as well. As far as the atmosphere, they house music was nice but a bit too loud. Our waitress talked softly, and we could barely hear her over the music.
Maya H — Google review
Drinks here are on point! A++ for creativity Atmosphere is modern and cute. They are dog friendly. For an app we had the spinach artichoke dip, and it was amazing! the cheese was creamy and warm, and the pita bread was warm and soft. The BBQ pork is too overpowering and you cannot taste the pork. They need something to cut it down. It would be nice if they paired coleslaw with their BBQ Tortas and burritos. All 3 of us were not fans of the amount of sauce. The sauce almost reminds you of a sloppy joe more than a pulled pork bbq sauce. Oddly you have no side choices to go with your meal with that being said the prices feel a little high.

Nestled in the vibrant Northtown 794 building in Muskegon, 794 Kitchen & Bar is a culinary gem that promises an unforgettable dining experience. This lively establishment offers a diverse menu featuring mouthwatering options like Tex-Mex delights and hearty waffles. Guests rave about their generous portion sizes and flavorful dishes, with highlights including the special Voodoo wings and Fried Catfish. The welcoming atmosphere makes it an ideal spot for family dinners or casual outings with friends.
Update 5/31/25: Still the best. The special Voodoo wings were 10/10. I never “want”/eat bone-in wings but these were so good I didn’t want to stop eating them. Please make them a permanent menu item LOL — we ate until we were full and had 5 to-go boxes for less than $100. Portion size is the best for the price. Will always be our go-to dinner spot. Original: Our favorite place to sit down for dinner as a family. This time we tried the Fried Catfish and Old Town Chicken. Phenomenal every time. Thank you for the best service and most delicious food in town! PS the garlic Parmesan dressing was FABULOUS!

Amazing service, THANK YOU AMBER! She was very knowledgeable about the products served. The food sells itself. Big portions. Might want to split whatever. French dip was very large and delicious. Au jue was perfect. Onion rings were dang near a meal in itself. Their smash Burger was great!

Where do I begin... this place was recommended to us by our hotel while visiting Muskegon for the first time. The portions are huge and the food is absolutely delicious. I had the Monte Cristo sandwich while my hubby had the cheese steak. Both were phenomenal! Our server Anthony was great and helpful. After learning it was our first time, he provided suggestions on other things to do in the area. If you are looking for delicious food in a fun atmosphere, this is the perfect spot!

Amazing!!!! Went there expecting typical bar food and good drinks. But when we got the food it was amazing. The spices blended so well with the meat it felt like fine dining lol. Don't get me going about the portions. I was expecting small lil fillets of fish when I ordered the Catfish. But with the delicious salad and appetizer. I definitely left full, satisfied and with plenty of leftovers 🥰🤤

This place has the best food I have ever had. From the burritos to the sandwiches to the fajitas everything is a hit. The tacos, old town salad, and burgers are fantastic too. I have been here a lot and will keep coming. Everybody is so nice here as well. Love 794!

Lucky enough to have found 794 when visiting Muskegon for shopping. Nice atmosphere. The menu has a great selection to choose from. Our wonderful waitress, Liv, was extremely personable, answered all of our questions about the menu with enthusiasm that obviously stemmed from having personal experience with the food. She was extremely attentive to our needs without being intrusive in any way. The four of us all had a different dish ranging from potato soup, mini burrito, quesidila, cheese steak and a pulled pork salad. They were beyond delicious! We will be back!!!

I complained about the higher prices untill I tasted the food and was able to bring half of it home considering the portions reflected that also. Even my husband couldent his burgar which never happens. Most seasoned food I have ever had hands down. I went to go to Capones last night and was wandering the building looking for it. A nice employee informed they were closed for Halloween but her restaurant is open. I asked what kind of food and she said there's a menu right outside the restaurant. Surprise, I saw the Ocho Burrito! it's the chef from Skeetown Tavern! Best food ever. The tacos are top notch. My husband loved his burrito. The drinks were great. Service was amazing. Best happy accident ever. And definitely try the jalapeño poppers, the best ever.

The Early Owl is a new restaurant in downtown Muskegon, opened by the owners of Dr. Rolf's Barbecue. It offers a welcoming atmosphere and quick service, with a variety of unique menu items to try. Customers have enjoyed the Dutch Baby and Classic cheese burger, as well as the delightful Truffle fries and sweet potato fries. The restaurant also features an upper deck and a patio for outdoor dining, adding to its appeal in the up-and-coming area of Muskegon.
Paige was fabulous. Happy service makes the difference 😃 thank you! Biscuits and gravy were delicious. The biscuits weren't sorry or dry- they were a little crispy, and perfectly cooked. The sausage gravy was excellent as well! We shared an order between 4 of us as an app, and it was a nice treat before the meal. One order is 1 biscuit, FYI. The southwest dutch baby was amazing as well. I didn't have much to compare too, but I wasn't disappointed! Got it with the eggs served easy, and the yolk really added to the dish. Might try scrambled next time, just since the server said that's how some people like it. Solid drinks as well. Thanks again!

I ordered the Bourbon Peach French Toast and my wife ordered the Veggie Benny, I loved mine, she did not care for hers. Also, the fresh squeezed orange juice was heavenly!

Nestled by the picturesque Muskegon Lake, Sandbar is a delightful gem that truly captures the essence of a laid-back dining experience. After a day on the water, this spot offers a welcoming atmosphere where comfort food reigns supreme. The interior is spotless, while the outdoor deck provides an inviting space to unwind during warm summer days. The menu features straightforward dishes that deliver exactly what they promise—no culinary surprises here!
This place really surprised us. We have a boat in a marina on Muskegon Lake. On our way home, after a day of boating. We were hungry and needed to stop for food. This place really grabbed our hearts. Super clean in the inside. The outside deck is a ton of fun and very relaxing in the summer when they are not busy. The food is easy going, comfort food. Not off wall, chef inspired food that makes you wonder what you are ordering. What you read on the menu is exactly what you get to your plate. Locally owned, ive heard from many people that the owner is amazing. Which doesn't surprise me because the establishment speaks volume for being a little bar. I highly recommend this place if you are on the lakeshore. We loved it!

I gave it a 5 star even though we waited a while for everything. The waitress was by herself, and she was running the bar. She was so friendly and apologized for the delays.. The atmosphere is great. The music was a great mix of genres, and the food was excellent. I definitely recommend the burritos. It was our first time going there, and I know we will definitely be back. I recommend going a little earlier to find parking . It is definitely a popular spot..

When I walked in the door, the bartender offered to be something to drink, which I wasn’t sure what I wanted at that time so she came right over probably about five minutes later and I knew what I wanted because I looked at the website. The downfall is, she was basically the only one working Taking food orders and also doing the bar. I waited at least 40 minutes for my food

Carlisle's Restaurant is a tribute to Louis Carlisle Walker, a prominent figure in Muskegon's history. The restaurant is particularly popular on Saturday evenings and offers a quiet atmosphere on Mondays. Guests have praised the efficient service and delicious drinks, such as the classic old fashion and unique variations like the peach old fashion and strawberry mule. The ramen bowl with chicken breast was also highly recommended.
We went on vacation to Michigan and this was an amazing find. The best food we had on our entire trip. The wait staff was very friendly and the food was amazing! Our table had a view of the hockey arena. There was a game earlier that day, but unfortunately, there wasn't one while we were eating. That would have been so fun. The pretzel bites were probably the best pretzel bites I have had anywhere! Beef tips and cheesy potatoes were so good! We would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. Good job Carlisle's. We hate that you are so far away.

Great food for a bar. Pretzel bites were great and came with a good cheese dip and mustard. Smash burger had a nice char, my gyro had good flavor and the wings were good as well. Somehow I missed the ramen and poke on the menu, next time. It’s attached to the ice arena and also has great outdoor seating with shaded areas also. Parking can be tough if an event in the area.

Went on a Saturday night and got to sit on the patio. Food was amazing and so was the service! As an app we got the pulled pork nachos- would recommend! As entrees, we got burgers, a Caesar wrap, and the pesto chicken sandwich. Everyone really enjoyed their food. Will be returning! Pictured is the lemon lavender martini.

I decided to have dinner at this place because it had good reviews, the menu looked good, and it was connected to an ice rink which I have never seen before. It was a little warm inside because they kept all of their patio doors open but by the ice rink, it is cooler but all of the lights were off so we were unable to enjoy the ice rink setting which was a bummer. I had the spicy broccoli for an appetizer and the French dip with homemade chips for dinner and both of them were fantastic.

Stopped here for the first time. The pickle shots are fun, especially with the pickle shot glass. Would highly recommend the Carlisle’s Queso, it exceeded our expectations for sure. The glazed salmon was good but would likely opt for something else next time if we were to come back.

Our experience was exceptional from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and we appreciated the manager checking in on us. The food was outstanding, and our server, Rain, provided excellent service—she was attentive, efficient, and kept our table well maintained. The bartender was also amazing, quick with the drinks, and everything tasted great. I ordered two margaritas, and Rain’s recommendation of the raspberry martini was perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will absolutely be returning. Rain will definitely be the server we request next time.

The staff at Dog House Saloon, both the waitress and bartender, displayed impressive efficiency while attending to all customers. However, the food was a bit mediocre overall. The wet burrito had an unsavory sauce that tasted like taco seasoning added to beef broth. On the other hand, the burger and steak fries were delightful. The perch dish was decent but came with bones and was ocean perch instead of the desired lake perch.
We was there 2 times now since 2020 the food and service has been excellent each time Debbie and the other waitress were quick friendly welcoming we love doghouse we miss our karaoke nights. I eat here and order takeout regularly from here. About 60% of the time the service is good, unfortunately the 40% that it's bad is always much more memorable/influancial. I want this to be known that the negative portion of this review is aimed towards the workers not showing up and causing the delays. To the person doing everything there self behind the counter, we appreciate you, but also please don't give an estimate that's so far off. I ordered 3 meals and she said 25min which is longer than usual, but that's fine as she's doing everything. Well, I sent an employee there after 25min and she hadn't even started yet....over an hour after the order and we've finally got the food ..

Chili Dogs were good, loaded with meaty chili. And asked for some extra crispy crinkle fries to go with my drink. Around 20$ with tip. Recommend for food and drinks. Also have pool and Nudge machines. Open early.
Jared M — Google review
Very good food at a fair price 😊 Didn't have tonwait long either for service.
Kathy K — Google review
Not sure what happened to the food but it went from some of my favorite to suspecting they're actually using Dog food. used the love the burrito and chilli dogs both but now I swear I taste Alpo(who hasn't tasted dogfood while drunk?!?). I mean to each their own but I refuse to pay those prices for cans I can get a Dollar General for less than $3. Customer service is also lacking in the service part. used to love eating and hanging with friends here but now between them serving kibble n bits and the rude ass staff I have no reason to return.

3 times in 2 months horrible service 3x and the food is just ok. Don't waist time go somewhere else.

The Saloon is everything a good neighborhood bar with friendly service and good eats should be. Nothing fancy, just West Michigan comfort food and my go-to bloody Mary...the early hours and breakfast menu a welcome surprise. Checking that out soon.

1. Walked in, and was asked to remove hood. What's wrong with hoods!?!? 2. Fish undercooked 3. Fries undercooked 4. Hair in food tray I would have called and complained, but I'm assuming if hoods are a problem, me complaining about the food would have made them argumentative.

Nestled in a charming corner of Muskegon, The Hideout is a delightful speakeasy-style bar that beckons those in search of an unforgettable night out. With its extensive cocktail menu and thoughtfully curated selection of wines and craft beers, this intimate venue sets the perfect stage for relaxation or celebration. The dimly-lit atmosphere transports you to a nostalgic era, making it an ideal spot to unwind with friends or enjoy some quality time alone.
Nice place to chill and enjoy a drink or 2 dance food was good a little pricey. The DJ played good music... only thing I don't like is at certain time around 11or 12 the younger crowd comes in and takes over ..overall it's a nice place. I'm from Grand Rapids and wanted somewhere different to go, so I will visit again.

Very nice and fun to go with friends. Go before 12 not many people and can get a great seat before the party starts. Bouncer was nice and the waiters were great. Go to have a good time and dont bring any trouble with you

The bar attendants are very slow they only cater to the customers they know. It took over an hour for one shot. The drinks taste like they have added water. If I wanted water I would have brought some! They charged $5 at the door and don't have enough seating for those that don't want to stand. The toilets don't flush to well either!

Service is slow. Food is not bad. I asked the bar tender if he was a cook. He said no. He made the food and no he is not a cook. However they are warm and welcoming. Any thing deep fried, yes. The rest?

I've lived in the South and the Hideout has the best beans and rice I've ever had. Great $6 burger too.
David H — Google review
The crab leg dinner was excellent! However the home made mac and cheese with the shrimp was award winning 😊😜😊!

I love coming here. The owners and staff are great! The open mic poetry show is amazing!
