Good place for a break especially during summer days in this beautiful town.

The family who runs this gelateria are extremely friendly and happy for you to sample their wares. Because it is off the main tourist streets you don't feel rushed. You take your ice cream delights upstairs to a traditional dinning - low tables and bamboo mats and relax whilst you devour your ice cream. The prices are more than reasonable, and the quality is as good as places we've tried in the mediterranean. Definitely recommend searching it out when you are on Itsukushima.

As a foreigner myself I was disgusted but I already paid. The fried momiji manju was way too sweet, I couldn't taste the peach or matcha taste. They are taking advantage of foreigner, so please avoid this tourist trap.

They helped to explain each flavour and was very kind to pack our boxes rain proof. I cherished every bite and i rationed the momijis. in the end was so sad to have left with only one in the box. I can vouch that this is the best shop selling Momiji Manju.

Another delicious vendor where we had the fish cake made with fresh fish , chilli and onions for 300 Yen. As well as their fried Momiji mandu filled with red bean paste for 200 Yen. These were both very delicious and freshly prepared for us and well worth the visit. Topped off with their maple soda of 350 Yen which has a nice and bright flavour , would definitely recommend a visit while on the island . They also have the non fried version of the treat but we did not try it at this time.

An amazing craft coffee shop and choclatetier. It's relatively out of the way from most other Hiroshima attractions but this place is an attraction unto itself! Their coffee is great! And their chocolate is sourced from all over central/south america! They're most interesting offering are milk chocolate molded to the shape of cassette tapes and vinyl records! Definitely a must stop for a unique experience and gifts.
