The experience at this beautiful resort was clouded by an overpriced excursion that we paid for but wasn't honoured, we booked the excursion with this lady Esperanza, who was recommended by the hotel and we paid extra because we wanted to go to Los Tres Ojos Cave she didn't gave us a received or anything after we paid but because it was done on recommendation of the hotel we assumed it would be ok. On the day of the excursion, when we approached the hotel reception about it, there was no one waiting for us, so the receptionist had to call her and she immediately asked is we had proof of payment which was odd after almost an hour of us waiting it looks like she magically remember our booking and two amazing guys show up to collect us but when we mentioned the cave again the problem started anyway to conclude this we didn't get what we paid for, for the excursion it was not good , to avoid this kind of situations asked for proof and in writing to what places the excursion is taking you otherwise they rob you and even though is recommended trough the hotel they actually washed their hands and don't do anything. Guys, do not trust anything without written confirmation and your proof of payment.

What a beautiful place! It all started with the meet and greet at the airport which made arrival super easy and fast. Then the entire puntacana hotel grounds were just amazing. Our “room”, more like a villa, was excellent. Above all else, the hotel staff was the best. Our stay was wonderful.

Great hotel. Service is top notch. Room cleaning is good. Rooms are spacious. We had a two-bedroom suite with a sea view. The beach is private. I didn't really like the entrance to the sea, there were a lot of stones. But the Caribbean Sea is always beautiful. The cuisine is very tasty. The hotel has only one restaurant on site. But they have another restaurant in Marina, 10 minutes away by golf cart. With a great view and cuisine. We really liked the hotel. I think we'll come back.

Tortuga Bay is great. Friendly staff, you own golf cart for travel and bikes are all included. We had a great time and the kids loved it. Bonus is you get access to the other resorts within Punta Cana resort so there's always somewhere to visit.

If you’re considering staying at Tortuga Bay hotel in Punta, Cana DO IT!!! From the moment you arrive until till the second that you leave, you will be treated like family. The staff is a very welcoming and very accommodating. Everyone remembers your name and remembers your preferences when you’re here. They do an amazing job of making sure that you’re comfortable and that you’re enjoying your stay. It’s almost like a spa experience every day that you’re here. We booked a beautiful beachfront villa that allowed us to step right out into the ocean from our living room. The service has been phenomenal and if you’re looking for a property where you can relax, and enjoy every second of your vacation you have to stay here. Our family will definitely be returning in the near future. Thank you, Tortuga Bay hotel for making our vacation memorable.

Hands down best place I have ever stayed. We stayed here for 10 days for our Honeymoon. From the 1st day to the last day we felt like top priority. Staff was beyond exceptional, kind and attentive. Everyone at the bar - but especially Angel at the bar is AMAZING! Every night we were excited to go sit at the bar so we could hang out with him! Very kind. Everyone that worked at the front office - there for you 24/7. Staff at Bamboo..... WOW. Pedro on service was one of our many favorites. He remembered after the first day that I liked the bedside chocolates so much that he would bring me extra while we were at the bar (without me even asking). And last but not least. Yosaira. She is a hostess at Bamboo and has become a friend. She is the best hostess I have come across ever. So sweet and loves what she does! We will be coming back again and again because of these people!

Tortuga Bay is a beautiful and tropical paradise! From the moment you are met at the airport to the moment you have to depart the VIP service is exemplary! The luxurious Villa accommodations in a peaceful atmosphere on a wonderfully private beachfront property exceeded what we had expected and more! The Private Embajadores services are exceptional and all staffing at Tortuga Bay are courteous, respectful of your privacy, and go out of their way to make your experiences perfect; from Day Housekeeping to Night Turn Down(and chocolates), transport needs, wait staffing, and the list continues. Both Bamboo and La Yola restaurants are exceptional. A round of golf at La Cana directly on the ocean, with our tee time being managed through the Embajadores services at Tortuga Bay, was a once in a lifetime experience as well. Without question a recommendation to enjoy the spa offerings through the Punta Cana Resort as it also was amazing! We hope to go back someday as our stay at Tortuga Bay was not a vacation at a resort, but a vacation that was set amongst the beauty of Punta Cana with the staff at Tortuga Bay making us feel we were among family. We had a wonderful stay at the Westin Punta Cana! It’s a beautiful, smaller, and more intimate resort that feels peaceful and relaxing. The staff was genuinely kind and welcoming from the moment we arrived, and the overall vibe was warm and easygoing. The food was decent with a nice variety. Nothing overly fancy, but fresh and satisfying and we enjoyed the steak and Asian restaurants. We originally checked out of the St. Regis due to the terrible customer service there, and coming to the Westin felt like a breath of fresh air. The only reason I’m giving four stars instead of five is due to housekeeping. Despite repeated requests, they consistently forgot to restock our washcloths, which became a bit frustrating. That said, the rest of our experience more than made up for it. We were truly happy here and would absolutely return!

Stayed here at the end of May with my friends and we had a great time. The staff were all very nice and helpful. The hotel was pretty and right on the beach (it did have seaweed but there were guys cleaning some of it up throughout the day which was nice). They had some restaurants at the hotel and offered a free shuttle service within the resort area. Some of the hours and menus of the restaurants aren't the same as what is seen online. I would definitely return to this hotel in the future.

I spent a week at the Westin with my family and had a wonderful experience. The resort was stunning and spotlessly clean. The staff were warm, attentive, and even greeted us by name, which made it feel very personal. The food was excellent, and the atmosphere throughout the property was calm and serene. It’s the perfect destination to relax and recharge.

Amazing experience! Wonderful hotel with heavenly beds, heavenly views and amazing service. Kind, attentive and friendly. Highlight Luis & Cesar at the bar, Vladimir at the Front Desk, and Emmanuel by the beach/ bar. Hands down, we will come back here for our next stay. The beach was calm, quiet, the amenities and the pool are beautiful. Restaurant offerings are amazing, you truly can stay at the hotel and you have everything! We tried all the options available except the steak restaurant. Thank you! We’ll be back.

The grounds were AMAZING, the view was spectacular, the staff was on point and courteous, and the dining selection was great! Punta Cana, much like Mexico, has been plagued with sargassum since the last time we were here. Although I love the places and the people in both countries, Aruba is where we'll take our beach vacations for the gorgeous waters! he Westin was a nice resort with a great pool and beach. The resort recognized my status and worked to accommodate an upgrade even though there were none. The rooms were nice and comfortable. On another review someone mentioned not bathroom doors, however, that is not the case. My only issue was having to ask to have my room service but that was rectified and may have been an issue with double reservations connecting. Unfortunately, during our stay the beach and water were filled with seaweed. There were plenty of chairs at the pool and beach. There was a dive center near by and you could rent paddle boats. The pool offered towels, some toys, sunscreen and cooling balm. The resort has many amenities and food options, however, expect to pay a solid price to eat. Lunch for a family of 4 cost over $100 and that was a basic sandwich and our hamburgers. The resort fee provided 1 free massage which was a great touch for my wife. The resort offered great shuttle service however, it ended at 6pm. So, anything after that you had to take a taxi or Uber. Uber was half the cost of Punta Cana Village but had plenty of places to dine and a grocery store.

They don’t invest enough in cleaning up the beach. It’s the most poorly maintained beach I’ve ever seen. I’ve been to many places—including China, Taiwan, the United States, and Mexico—and this beach was by far the worst. Don’t come here expecting a nice beach experience. Avoid using the taxis they offer—they’re a scam. Use Uber instead. I had leftover food in my fridge and they wanted to charge me $10 just to microwave it. Staying at this hotel feels like being trapped in a giant scam. Every time you leave your room, there’s some new fee or upsell waiting for you. This is extremely disappointing, especially because I’ve stayed at other hotels in this same chain around the world and had much better experiences. The Dominican Republic is full of kind and friendly people, but I don’t recommend supporting the businesses connected to this hotel. Visit the country- but stay elsewhere. The lobby does not provide bottled water. You only get a limited amount in your room, and they won’t give you any extra. Food and drink prices at the hotel are about 50% higher than what you’d pay at a hotel in San Francisco. Extremely expensive. The staff are friendly-the problem clearly lies with upper management. I recommend staying at the Four Points by Sheraton or at an all-inclusive resort instead. The nightly rate at an all-inclusive may be higher, but you’ll actually save money overall. Staying here felt like a waste of money. Even though Four Points doesn’t have beach access, it’s still a better choice—because you can’t even swim at this beach anyway. The water is mediocre at best, and the hotel pool is very shallow. The location is extremely inconvenient and you cannot leave by walking or bicycle.

Just returned from a wonderful 6 night stay! The beautiful grounds only paled to the beautiful smiles of the attentive staff. The chefs outside themselves! From lobster tails to osso buco we had a wide variety of delicious meals and deserts every meal. The pools were not overcrowded and the lazy river was delightful. The room was immaculate and housekeeping met our requests quickly. Entertainment was diversified. Kid friendly but also plenty of fun for grownups- the bars we're well stocked. We will look no further next visit! This is the place.

Our experience here was pretty subpar. The resort is beautiful, it’s right on the beach, and the rooms are nice and clean. However, the service at most restaurants and bars is quite slow and the food is not good. We ended up upgrading to preferred because you won’t have access to any of the more decent restaurants if you don’t. We noticed that our room service came MUCH quicker after upgrading to preferred as well. Not sure if this was just a coincidence though. The morning that we were checking out, the power in our room started turning off like every 5-10 minutes. It did this for about a whole hour. We weren’t sure if it was happening to the whole resort or if it was just a way to get people out of their rooms faster lol. Our flight didn’t leave until the evening we checked out so we left our bags with the front desk. When we came back to get them, it took like a whole hour for the staff to figure out where they were. Thankfully, we weren’t in a rush to the airport or anything. Secrets resort is right next door so we ended up spending most of our time at their pool because it’s bigger. We were excited about the water park but it’s sort of a far walk from everything else so we only went once and did not return. It wasn’t a terrible experience, but not great either.

We stayed here last week for our 30th Wedding Vowel renewal. Yes, this resort was Beautiful and Amazing! what made it so Amazing is their Awesome and attentive staff. From the very first contact with our wedding coordinator Danika to the Superman himself. Roberto, our concierge, who handled our large needy group with tender loving care,we unfortunately had a couple people with injuries and someone that needed to leave the resort for their health care needs, God blessed us with these unique individuals who helped make sure our family was taken care of and could attend our beautiful ceremony. This could've turned out horrible but thanks to them and so many other staff members,our 30th Vowel renewal was everything ❤️ thank you so very much for the way you all do your jobs it truly made us love this resort.

This was my first visit to the Dominican Republic! My stay at Dreams Royal Beach was fantastic! The service was outstanding -they waited on me hand and foot and always with a smile! The food was incredibly delicious and what a wide variety! From the café which offered breakfast lunch and dinner to the restaurants scattered around the property I don’t have one complaint! I do have to go on a diet however I’m coming home because everything was too hard to resist! They have plenty for kids and adults to eat and to do! My favorite part was the lazy river that meandered the property and took me right back to where I started. I recommend this all inclusive resort for anyone!

I just returned from my vacation at DREAMS ROYAL BEACH. My favorite parts of the resort included the beach, the pools, and the beautifully manicured grounds. I also loved the E team! Tony, Brownie, and the rest of the team were absolutely amazing. I especially loved the dance fitness classes that were offered on the beach each day of my stay. The evening entertainment was also a plus. Food options were plentiful, and our room was large. Overall, I would highly recommend this resort to families with kids as well, as well as young adults.

Even tho we had a couple of rainy days here, it truly was an amazing experience. From the food to the pools, rooms, activities, entertainment & service!! Especially the waitstaff, they made our stay amazing. If i could have Dolores at every all inclusive, i would! From day one she was nice and helpful to me, my husband & our baby girl. Thank you Dolores for being the best!

Okay, I am Going to be as transparent as possible. I am literally heading to the airport back to civilization. The resort is beautiful. To get around was also made easy as they have golf carts that would kindly take you anywhere within limits in the resort. The rooms are very gorgeous. However some of the upholstery was not cleaned properly. I have pictures which I Will attach when I’m State side. The customer service and room up keep while staying there was consistently done without fail. This was a nice touch as sometimes you have to ask for this kind of service. The food is where it gets a bit complicated. Now the restaurants are solid but a lot of the food was not warm, especially in the buffet which was a shock. Hot food always wins the soul and when it’s room temperature or even in some cases cool it’s not good. I also felt they should have a Spanish restaurant dedicated to the culture of Dominican Republic and they need to better of changing up buffet menu items. This is a big warning to all new travelers. I was considered a preferred member with my ties to Hyatt and Hilton. When you arrive, you will be asked to participate in a TIMESHARE PRESENTATION. This was very unexpected and kind of annoying. You already spent thousands of dollars to attend the resort and you are now asked to spend more. In my opinion this should be removed completely. When we said no, we were asked to only answer 4 questions which will help The salesman commission. This was not the case and when my wife finally sternly refused the attitudes were present. THIS IS VACATION and no one should be forced to take part in something especially when it involves spending more money for something not worth it. The customer in total was 5 star. That is a non debate. I will give the resort a 3.5 star. They need to get HOT FOOD, better menu items remove the time Share trap and let people who work hard for thier money enjoy it without pressure.

We had an incredible vacation at Zoetry with our family. The resort is stunning and the service is top notch. Johan, our concierge was incredible and especially great with our teen/tween kids. Juan with water sports is a blast and helped with snorkeling and boat expeditions. We loved all of the restaurant staff, especially Natalie and Henry. The entertainment and crafts were great and so was the morning yoga! We can’t wait to come back!

This place is great! Jo, Junior, and Pedro are amazing! They are truly there to help and appreciate your business. The food was delicious and the facility was clean. Will definitely come back.

The resort was beautiful. Great rooms, service, restaurants, and amenities. The pools and views were so lovely. What made our experience even better was the staff! Angel at Indigo was so welcoming and nice! Seeing him first thing in the morning was a great way to start our day! The whole staff at Indigo for breakfast was great! Then seeing Daniel and the pool bar staff was Excellente as well! Adrian and Cesar were both really kind and attentive. They did a great job being so joyful and kind while also working to make our drinks fast and delicious! Sory was one of our favorites! She has the best smile that can change anyone’s mood for the better! She greeted us with kindness every day and really went above and beyond! We ate at Amaya and it was delicious! They even brought out a special birthday treat! Luis was also really wonderful - the whole staff was! The lobby bar was open until 1am and the service and drinks were fantastic! Joel and Grisel were amazing! Gabriel was wonderful too! Our host was Johan who did a great job communicating with us throughout our stay. It’s nice that they pair you with someone you can contact. The resort app is very useful and helpful as well! The whole staff was very friendly and really made our stay. We hope to come back and visit again one day :)

One of the best resorts we’ve ever stayed at. Overall we were super super happy with our stay. In different areas of the resort you can tell it’s nearly 20 years old BUT it’s first class service all the way. Anything we asked for, Manuel made happen. Loungers outside our room by the pool ✅. Massage at the spa ✅. The food is amazing especially for an all inclusive resort. It’s not even fair to compare it to any other all inclusive that we’ve been. I would absolutely recommend staying here. It was a 5-star experience all the way! The attention to detail and the service were a cut above the rest. Special shout out to Sory for always making our dining experience amazing! She’s the best.

Everything from the food to service to the relaxation of the resort as a whole was amazing so professional very clean. Everyone is so nice and treat you so well, Luis was our concierge and anything we needed or had any questions he helped us or took care of it himself making everything so easy. Joel at the bar was so much fun made our experience so much fun every night made sure we were always having fun. Everyone is so nice at this resort I recommend this resort for anyone that wants to relax and get away it’s truly relaxing at its finest.

Amazing does not fully describe our experience at Zoetry last month. From the moment we arrived until the time we felt, the service and experience at this resort was outstanding! The experience here is different from other resorts I've been to. But it was truly the perfect match and experience - calm, quiet, peaceful and serene is the vibe and ambiance this resort gave and what we were looking for to properly disconnect for relaxation. When we arrived, we were greeted with a refreshing, cleansing juice served in a literal cucumber cup and walked through picking the scent we wanted in our room throughout our stay and writing our theme message that was placed on the wall marking our stay - we chose "Relax and Enjoy" as our mantra and intention of what we wanted during our stay. Our personal concierge, Manuel, provided excellent service and assistance throughout our stay, checking on us, scheduling horseback riding and our couples massage at their wonderful spa (spa has complimentary access for whirlpool, steam room and sauna for all resort guests). Honestly, every staff member we met and interacted with in various capacities were amazing. Seeing some of the same staff each day also in some ways provided a familial/at home vibe for us. Again, wonderful experience and we have and will continue to talk about until our next visit to Zoetry ☺️

Phenomenal experience, if you are looking to have a luxurious, quiet, and relaxing stay in the DR, then this is your place. Definitely not. Booze resort… The staff to guest ratio seemed to be around 1:1. Extremely attentive and polite. I couldn’t be more pleased.

!!!!!! ATTENTION !!!!!! PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THESE APARTMENTS. Hello good day. First, when we arrived at Bavaro Green, we were very badly received. The woman was on the phone and stayed on the phone during our check-in process. Then the young man showed us our two separate apartments, mine was 311 and my aunt's 313. So 311 was dated and the air conditioning unit in the living room was broken. The windows were not secure (lock was not secure) and the lock fell when the window security was checked. In room 313, my aunts' room was a little better, although there was no working bathroom light. She slipped out of the shower and fell because she didn't see the shower pass in the dark. *All within 12 hours* We did leave after that to find another apartment.* After pointing out that my windows were not secure in my room 311, the women in the office reluctantly moved me to a third floor of two rooms, and upon arriving in both bedrooms, the two air conditioning units were not working. I had to leave my room and sleep on the floor of my aunt's apartment without air conditioning and the heat was unbearable. (When the security guard tried to explain all issues the women quickly silenced him.) Now, after a long haul flight, this was a nightmare. Now we feel exhausted due to this HORROR APARTMENTS me and my aunt had to look for better living conditions elsewhere. This is not acceptable. As this should have been our first day exploring the beautiful country. We wanted our full refund to help us immediately look for another apartment but at no surprise the apartment owner didn't refund us. Infact made up lies to booking.com that we left because no beaches were nearby. I will explain my answer to this in the part of the review where it asks wha we didnt like. We have videos as evidence. Booking didnt want to accept as they only accept photos for some strange reason as the videos show all what was wrong. The photos of aircon shows the aircon on but wouldnt go down to a lower temp and was blowing out hot air. Roaches galore at these apartments. !!!!!!!!!!!!! AVOID !!!!!!!!!!!! Paul Cairns

DON'T GO THERE! SCAM ALERT! Upon arrival, we were met by a security staff member who demanded an additional $40 in cash before handing over the room key. This request was unexpected, and no such charge was mentioned in the booking details or the listing. When we refused to pay the unauthorized fee, the staff member denied us access to our room. We requested to speak with the manager, but he claimed to be the only person available and refused further assistance. Feeling unsafe and left with no alternative, we decided to leave and book another hotel nearby.

Hidden Charges and No Refund – Very Disappointing Stay We booked our accommodation well in advance and paid in full, including all listed taxes and fees. So you can imagine our frustration when, upon arrival, we were hit with an unexpected $40 “cleaning fee” that had never been disclosed during the reservation process. When we questioned this surprise charge and asked to cancel for a refund, we were flatly denied. We were left with no real choice—either pay the extra fee or lose the entire amount we had already paid. It felt like a classic bait-and-switch tactic. This kind of dishonest and inflexible policy completely soured what should have been a simple and stress-free experience. If you’re looking for transparency and fair treatment, look elsewhere.

They tried to steal 40 usd from me. I had paid before arriving through booking.com when I get there at the entrance an old man already knew my reservation and asked me for 40 usd cash. I explained to him that I already paid through the booking app and show every invoice and payment confirmation and he put me the owner of this place on the phone. The owner told me that I had to pay this fee for cleaning purposes cash and if not then they wont let me in. After finishing the call the old man confessed that this is not fair for me and that is not the only time that this kind of things happens. Worst experience

Well, the photos are outdated. And the hotel water was scolding, so it was cold showers for my stay. I only saw 1 roach, and it came out of the air conditioner in the bedroom. They come every 2 days to give you towels. And on the 4th day, they give you new sheets. The doorbell didn't work, so they just opened the door all the way and knocked. I was sleeping each time they did this. The refrigerator didn't work. The freezer was ok. The stove had 4 out of 5 working burners. They offered a $30 round-trip ride from and back to the airport. The driver was cool. You have to leave the card key in a slot next to the door, or the power will shut off. And to leave, you need the card key , and obviously, to get back in. I paid $200 U.S. for a 9 day stay. It was better than most motel 6s in the United States. I've stayed at some horrible ones in the U.S.. This was a little better. But not by much. There is a supermarket nearby, but if you buy food, you can't keep it cold, cause the fridge doesn't work. So some food was wasted and thrown away. The TV in the living room didn't work. The ceiling fan in the living room didn't work. They security guard at night was always sleeping. There are restaurants and bars within walking distance, as well as Ole supermarket. Prices in the area are a bit higher than expected. My vacation was decent, but the driver wanted $40-$50, round-trip to go to the beach. I didn't use the pool. I had a decent stay here, but I won't be back. I'll just pay to stay at a resort next time. I cleaned up after myself and took a video just in case they say otherwise. I almost slipped in the shower, so i bought a mat from Ole. I also bought a bath mat. If you want to stay here, just remember what I said about the water in the shower, scolding or cold, no in-between. And the fridge does not work. It was clean enough for me.

The gas cooker is broken and the ceiling fan has two light bulbs are out of order. The bedroom has air conditioning but no WiFi. The living room has WiFi but no AC. There is a $40 dollars apartment cleaning fee surcharge when you check in, no matter how many room night you stay here, even just one night you still have to pay 40 dollars, but the house keeping doesn't clean up your room everyday, eventhough you have been charged 40 dollars cleaning fee.

This is a terrible hotel, I do not recommend it to anyone. There are many workers in the rooms who do not care about your vacation. They are noisy. They can turn on loud music at 4 am and scream loudly. At 6 am, a dog can crawl in. Service 0

Great place to stay. Had a great time with the best ocean views. The word unbelievable doesn't describe it. Had all the amenities you could ask for,Fishing, sailing,kayaking and more. Great people, great host,can't wait to go again next year.

Beautiful accommodations! True ocean front beach access. Private and secluded with all amenities available. We had private chef, fishing trip and massage! Been to this part of the island before and did not compare to this!

From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome and taken care of. Luis especially was amazing! The resort itself is stunning — super clean, modern, and beautifully landscaped. The pool area and beach are incredible, and we never had trouble finding a spot to relax. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and had that perfect tropical feel. Housekeeping did an amazing job keeping it spotless. Overall, this trip was exactly what we needed — peaceful, beautiful, and full of great energy. I’d come back to Serenade Punta Cana in a heartbeat! EDIT: I first visited this property a year ago, and while my experience back then was wonderful, this visit was quite the opposite. The level of service has noticeably declined since my last stay. I remember the staff being exceptionally friendly before, but now it feels like you’re inconveniencing them just by asking a simple question or expressing a concern. The restaurant service has also been extremely inconsistent. They claim the restaurants are fully booked, yet when you arrive, there are rarely more than 10 guests dining. It often takes about 20 minutes just to be acknowledged and another 30 minutes before your order is taken. I had hoped to make this a regular vacation spot, but after this trip, I’ll likely be looking elsewhere.

I just spent an amazing week at Serenade Punta Cana, a beautiful, modern resort in a great location, conveniently close to the airport. The Kut, teppanyaki and sushi restaurants were definitely my favorites! Big kudos to the animation team. Such lovely, hardworking people who go above and beyond to keep guests entertained. A special thank you to Mildred for her exceptional kindness and care in making sure our stay was wonderful. You truly exceeded our expectations; I can’t thank you enough!

I loved my experience at Serenade All Suites. From my room, to the pool, to the buffet, to the restaurants, to the service, everything was just what I needed for a beautiful vacation! The staff was friendly and very helpful and you feel welcomed. I most definitely will be back. The family side was also very nice and clean. The watersides were a hit!! The beach had some seaweed but overall, for the period of time we went the seaweed wasn't too bad, we were still able to enjoy some clear water.

During our stay at Serenade Beach & Spa Resort, we were truly blown away by the exceptional service provided by Yohaira. From the very beginning, her warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality set the tone for an unforgettable experience. Great experience at Serenade this week. The food was better than we expected (highly recommend the sushi!), the drinks were good (especially the main bar in the lobby!) the pools were great, and the beach was beautiful. We came with our one year old and also really loved the kids club, where the employees were friendly and kind! The club had activities for kids of all ages. Our room was spacious and the maid service was thorough each day. Only feedback would be to improve the app as we couldn’t make reservations for the restaurants through it, but the guest services desk was able to help do that. Overall, would recommend and would return!

This is a beautiful resort with excellent service. Everything is clean and fresh. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We would have liked the restaurants to have better air conditioning . The elevator was not working our last two days. We did see a roach near the food line in the buffet. The free alcohol is bottom shelf. Bring your own if you can. the worst thing was the.men from the staff constantly following you around trying to sell excursions or whatever . We were trying to have a stress free weekend and that was very annoying .

Rooms were the only standout in my case. No AC in any other place except the hotel room. It's suffocating hot outside and especially in the dine in areas. Food is bland or hit and miss with no consistency in flavor or lacks a wow factor. I get better at home, sorry! Vacation becomes memorable with an authentic cuisine. Room service until 9pm is disappointing so no late night food if hungry after buffet ends at 10pm. Bar refuses to give any take aways and only way to eat is sitting there as it makes no sense. Staffs service depends on luck as some are better than the other . Not coming back with my family. Not for me. Thanks !!

We arrived to a warm welcome by friendly and attentive staff. Check in was easy but we did have an immediate attempt of an upsell for ‘preferred’ which wasn’t very welcoming, we didn’t go for it, it is very expensive and after our experience without it, not worth it! The room was ok, not quite like the photos and not all that clean with a few broken things. Apart from this the experience was amazing! The staff were always helpful, cleaning the room, topping things up before we had even realised they were gone and keeping us entertained. The location and beach were great! Although would prefer to not have people trying to sell us things on the beach they quickly get to know you and leave you be to relax. We never got bored or hungry as the food was great with a big variety! Cocktails were hot and miss but if you don’t like, it’s freeee, get a different one! Will be returning! Also… DONT MISS THE DREAMS HOTEL. You have access to its pools and water slides, as well as the great ecological park out the front, which isn’t explained to well when you check in

I visited here for one week with my family. The trip was generally nice, service on the whole was decent- food adequate. On our last day as we were leaving my Mum had realised that her diamond rings were missing. They had been left in a jewellery box at the bottom of her suitcase throughout the trip, never left the room. Security went through all of her belongings and reassured, checked the room a few times over which I do appreciate- they did their job. But they did not once acknowledge that their own staff could have stolen it by saying ‘our staff have been told not to take things’. I’ve read other reviews now on trip advisor now and in hindsight have seen plenty of other travellers have had their jewellery and cash stolen from this hotel. I have even seen that this seems to be happening on the last day that people are leaving so that there is no time to call police as we need to board a flight. Similar to others we were given a waiver to sign to say we chose not to call the police but we refused to sign this. Again, similar to others, the staff also at one point tried to accuse the rest of my family for the theft. This is 5 star resort and I cant believe the level of service has culminated into this. I have stayed in many other hotels across the world and have never had an incident such as this. DO NOT GO HERE

This resort did not disappoint. Grounds were well maintained and was absolutely beautifully landscaped. Rooms were clean, updated, and spacious. So many pool options with plenty of lounge chairs for guest. Food could use a little more seasoning, but I'm sure they are just looking out for everyone's taste buds. The best restaurants Blue Water Grill for their steak and lobster. Himitsu has awesome Shui and the Hibanchi was a huge hit! The best thing about our trip was our Butler, Dayanara! She met with our group of 8 everyday with a big smile. She was very professional and made certain we ALL had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. She deserves a "10"

I feel guilty giving a 4/5 star rating because overall we had the best time at Secrets as it was absolutely beautiful. The grounds were well kept, staff were all wonderful, and the food was the best I have ever had at an all inclusive. The main complaint that I have though was the Preferred Club that we paid additional for. On check in day, it took us over an hour and a half to be taken to our room even though we arrived at the check in time. This was a little frustrating as it was already a long day of traveling. Paying extra for Preferred, we were assigned a butler which we were so excited about! He honestly ended up being the one big disappointment of this vacation though. All he did every morning was text us the daily resort schedule- which we would access online anyway. Whenever we had a question he was unresponsive or stated that he didn't understand what we were asking (I get that a language barrier may exist but 1. he shouldn't have the butler job and 2. he should ask someone else what we were asking). All trip we saw everyone with these Secrets burlap bags- they were super nice to take to the beach. We started seeing them so much though that we knew not everyone bought them and they must have received it as a gift. So on the next to last day of our trip we asked our butler how we get one and he responded "Oh you didn't get one?" Shouldn't he be the one to know that? Not the biggest deal but when you are spending extra money, one would hope that service is top notch. The icing on the cake though was my fiance and I ended up getting engaged on the first night of our trip. We happened to see out butler the next day in the lobby and told him. He understood what we said because he said "Congratulations." We were expecting maybe another bottle of champagne, a sign on our door (as there were a lot of doors with signs), or maybe some flowers in the room- honestly anything. We did not receive one thing on the trip in honor or our engagement. I'm not asking for much or want to seem entitled to anything but we thought that being Preferred our engagement would at least be acknowledged to make the trip even more special. A few days into our trip my fiance even asked if we could get a little something extra for the room for our engagement (he would even pay), to which our butler responded "what do you mean?" We were disappointed as even in the pool areas we saw guests having their butlers bring them bottles, etc. ours was MIA the whole week. So much so that we heard another couple in the pool frustratingly saying how they "have the worst butler." It ends up that we spoke to the couple and it ends up we had the same butler. It's a shame because we loved everything else about the resort but our Preferred club money was not well spent at all.

Went with 8 friends last week at the Secret Royal Beach.im very impressed with a warm welcome with cold towels and champagne. Everyone was very friendly and attentive to all of us. Can’t remember everyone name but they all was excellent. Reynaldo was wonderful ! Love all the peoples whom work at the buffet.

Second time. It's the BEST! We stayed here for our second time (if that doesn't say enough) as a family of four. Even though the weather was affected due to H. Melissa, we had a blast. Delores from the lobby bar is amazing. Lucia. Oh Lucia! We love you!!! David from the infinity pool. What a guy!! Jose from pool bar at beach. What a gem! the WHOLE entertainment team. Mr. Fantastic. Baby Face. Tarzan. The whole gang of ladies. Juan from the breakfast and lunch buffet! Ernesto from supper buffet. The food! Who complains about good food??? Anyway. We will be back again. 100%

This was the BEST resort I've ever been too! From our Jr suite room with a swim out pool (would highly recommend) to the food and entertainment there was not one complaint. I can't thank the staff enough for making us feel so special and spoiled! Can't wait to go back again!

Exceptional place. We spent a week and enjoyed every second of it. La Palapa is one of the best restaurants in the Caribbean (not just Dominican Republic). We enjoyed the beach and the pool and had a relaxing time, even though we did not venture off property.

We were blown away by the pristine conditions of the resort. The private pools at the villa-style rooms were fantastic. I’ve been to many hotels and this was like no other. I went with my husband on our honeymoon and the experience was unforgettable. The hotel arranged for a car to pick us up from the airport and drop us off at the hotel. The ride is about 20 minutes. When we arrived, we were eagerly greeted by the sweetest staff members. They made the check-in process so seamless. After that, we were given our own personal golf cart to go anywhere we needed and our own personal concierges. I texted them with anything that we needed including excursions, food and they even put a mini fridge/freezer in my villa. Thank you to Kiara and Hill for making everything so enjoyable for us! They deserve a raise! Our villa was beautiful and had its own private pool which we appreciated. Since we keep kosher, we were given complimentary brownies and orange juice when we arrived. They were delicious! There is a kosher restaurant onsite and it is amazing! Thank you to Allen for making sure everything was good and checking up on us. With my reservation came a $200 voucher to the spa. I went on my last day there and it was so relaxing. The decor is so high class and they treat you with such respect. The offered me any type of drink before I left and even a shower to freshen up. The hotel itself is decorated very nicely and the pool area is so scenic. It is so beautiful to look at. The bar had phenomenal drinks. I definitely recommend the pina colada. The stay was so comfortable and I just felt so at peace while I was staying there. I didn’t want to leave! Overall, we had an excellent time and I would come here again in a heartbeat!

We recently stayed at Eden Roc Cap Cana from July 4th to July 9th to celebrate our 10-year wedding anniversary, and overall, we had a truly wonderful experience. The property is stunning, private, and well maintained. Our Luxury Pool One Bedroom Villa was beautiful: spacious, spotless, and with a well-designed layout including a generous walk-in closet, an outdoor shower, and a private pool that quickly became our favorite place to relax. The golf cart provided with the villa made it easy to explore the grounds and added a fun touch to our stay. The one downside was the sargassum, which was particularly severe during our visit. We had heard about it beforehand, but the extent still came as a surprise. To their credit, the staff worked tirelessly day and night to clean the beach, and by the last two days, it looked noticeably better. While disappointing, especially considering the beach’s Blue Flag status and reputation as one of the best in Punta Cana, we did our best to enjoy the rest of the resort and not let this affect our overall impression. And we’re glad we did. The service throughout our stay was exceptional. Every staff member we interacted with was professional, friendly, fun and attentive. Special thanks to Deniss, Benny, and Sara, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. A small issue with our room was resolved quickly and efficiently. One morning when we had to leave early for an excursion, the staff arranged for breakfast to be served before the restaurant had even opened, a detail that did not go unnoticed. Dining was another highlight. Breakfast was included with our reservation and I tried something new each day without a single disappointment. Among our favorite meals were the seafood paella and lobster ceviche at La Palapa, the shrimp tacos at Blue, and the ceviche, tacos, empanadas, and chicharrón at Punta Espada. The drinks were also consistently good and nicely presented. As an added surprise, the team decorated our room for our anniversary, which was a thoughtful and personal touch that meant a lot to us. The main pool was beautiful and always clean, providing another relaxing option when the beach wasn’t ideal. Yes, Eden Roc Cap Cana is on the expensive side, but it offers more than just a luxurious stay, it’s an experience defined by elegance, privacy and personalized attention. We hope to return again soon.

Just wrapped a 4 night stay here. We extended because we had such an amazing time. We stayed in a beachfront bungalow after being up in a villa by the golf course. The beachfront villa is a much more rustic vibe but to be on the cliff over the ocean like that was amazing. We listened to the waves crash all night. We had the most amazing butler- Melvin. 6 star service. Location is spectacular. Would love to come back with our kids next time. Thank you Melvin, Sergio, and the Eden Roc crew for an amazing trip!

I spent 11 wonderful days with my family in your hotel. Everything was on the level. Two bedroom two bathroom apartment. Large and comfortable. With two large balconies. Every day was cleaned and towels were changed. The beach was close and there was a shuttle every hour. The place is well guarded and you are safe. The staff people are very friendly and always respond to your needs. I highly recommend it for a vacation. A peaceful piece of paradise. Thank you to the owners for the warm welcome. We will visit it again.

I recently stayed at a Karibo and let me tell you, it was a nightmare from start to finish. The receptionists, if you could even call them that, were the most unhelpful and incompetent people I have ever encountered in the hospitality industry!! First of all, they were completely unresponsive to emails. I emailed them multiple times before my arrival, with questions and special requests, and I didn't receive a single reply. It's as if they don't even check their emails or care about their guests' needs. But the real nightmare began when I arrived at the hotel. I was greeted by Barbara, the most rude and unprofessional receptionist I have ever come across. She couldn't be bothered to give me a warm welcome or even a basic greeting. When I asked about the water leak in my room, she rolled her eyes and told me to deal with it myself. That brings me to another point - the numerous issues with the hotel. Not only did I have to deal with a water leak, but also a broken TV and a non-functioning air conditioner. And do you think the receptionists did anything about it? Of course not. They were too busy gossiping and ignoring the needs of their guests. But the cherry on top of this terrible stay was Barbara's husband, Javi. He was just as useless and rude as his wife. Every time I asked for assistance, he would just shrug and say there was nothing he could do. Customer service? More like customer disservice. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if these two were secretly trying to sabotage the hotel. They certainly did a great job of ruining my stay. I would rather sleep on a park bench than ever set foot in this God-forsaken establishment again. Save yourself the trouble and book a room elsewhere. Trust me, you'll thank me later.

After checking into this hotel we met with the receptionist and manager to see about getting an apartment rather than a room. To our surprise they were amazing to accommodate us. They moved us into a two bedroom apartment which was very spacious, enough for a small family with full kitchen and jacuzzi on the balcony. Our first day has been amazing at this hotel. It’s very quiet and exactly what we were looking for (a long weekend of relaxation). Around the pool are situated beds and chairs that are covered for shade. It is very clean and you can tell that the people who work here take pride in what they do. The local store is 3 minutes walk away. This is a must stay if you are looking for a relaxing quiet vacation.

It was a great experience! I stayed for 7 days, the pool area was very relaxing, staff were all friendly and very helpful. The room was nice and very clean, it's a great alternative to an expensive resort. I'll definitely be coming back next time I'm in the D.R.

The place was nice and the staff helpful. We were surprised by the amplitude of the rooms, we were very pleased with them. We went during low season, thus there weren't a lot of tourists around, but because of it the place was nice and peaceful. The only area of improvement is regarding the room booking, we needed to tell the staff that we will arrive a day later than originally booked, but they did not answer our emails or phone calls, we were a little afraid of what that could mean, but there was no problem at the end. Please keep in mind that it is not close to the beach in a walking distance, but the hotel provides transportation. Taxis are very expensive, regardless of how close you are going, at least 15 US dollar the ride.

Clean place, spacious rooms. Reasonable drink prices, food is not great but edible. Maids are friendly, went during low season and the hotel was not crowded. Internet only worked by the lobby area. The hotel is located next to golf resort, felt okay to walk around during the day. Despite what staff says, I would not walk around at night especially off property and by yourself. It's not safe to do so.

The food in the restaurant is good, but unfortunately you have to wait a long time for it to be ready. The first time we had lunch we waited almost 30 minutes and the last time we had dinner we waited a whole hour because they got our order wrong. Prices are good for the area. The hotel is acceptable, it could be better. The beds are comfortable, large and clean. Unfortunately they don't really clean the room, they just empty the bins and make the beds, but not the floor or anything in the bathroom (shower, mirror). The bathroom in general is quite old and the drains are smelly. The windows are super thin and you can hear everything from outside. The AC works properly and is new. The pool in the courtyard is tiny, like a jacuzzi. The garden area is cool and has a nice atmosphere. The location is nice because it's only a 5 minute walk to the beach.

Rooms are old but DEFINITELY CLEAN!!! It’s a great value for your money a lot of things around to do. Cheaper excursions offers here than the local salesmen. The food is all good!!!! THE STAFF IS GREAT!!!!! I love Maria!!!!! I’ll definitely come back for the great hospitality.

STAY & EAT HERE!!! This place is great. All of the staff is so nice, I wish I could remember everyone's names. Aleksandra gave us a bunch of recommendations and advice, she is so nice! The rooms are clean, the back area is relaxing and beautiful, plus they have the sweetest dogs. We ate dinner and breakfast here and both meals were absolutely delicious. They also make some really good drinks! Go support this place, they deserve it! You'll feel right at home!

Food is fantastic. Everything is made from scratch, Polish and Local dishes are outstanding:) Very close to the beach, approximately 3-4 minutes by walking. Nice hidden spot.

Super authentic and charming stay. The food is tasty, the rooms are super clean. Marco and Magdalena are super welcoming. I recommend this to anybody who want to stay in Bavaro, it was honestly the highlight of my vacation, much better than a ressort. Thank you guys!!!

The rooms are spacious and clean. I’m very allergic to dust and humidity and I was completely fine during my stay so that definitely talks of the level of cleanliness. The rooms do need an update as furniture look outdated. Service: the staff was very nice and willing to help. BUT there is a lack of towels in the pool area. Food: very difficult to get reservations for the restaurants even though I never saw the restaurants full. The Asian restaurant is a big NO. Food was terrible there. The Mexican and steak house were really good with delicious food. Honestly I don’t like buffets and I don’t think they’re sanitary but I never got sick and ate at the buffet twice a day every day (because there are no open restaurants for breakfast or lunch). There is a buffet very close to the beach which is smaller, less crowded and really nice. I recommend that buffet instead of the one at the lobby. Music: there was excellent music at the lobby every night and a disco open from 11pm to 2am. There are also shows at night at the open theatre by the pool and several activities throughout the day. You’ll never be bored. This is not a fancy hotel but it’s a very good value.

Amazing place to stay, Greeting guests with a smile on their faces, Check in was incredibly easy made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. They were always available to answer questions. I wanted to give a special shout-out to the manager, Fermin Abreu he always make sure we are taking care off, His warm and welcoming personality truly elevated our stay. It's clear they take pride in making every guest feel at home.I was very impressed by the peaceful atmosphere in this resort! It feels relaxed all around. An amazing pool and cozy rooms made it a great city escape to relax and enjoy yourself. Just what we needed to take a break.Everything was amazing!!

My only complaint is the food options. There needs to be a complete revamping. The restaurants were booked and busy but when you got there, there were only 3 main courses for warm food. Buffet was fine. It was packed 24/7. I also don’t like how they try to sell you everything and trick you into a 90 min meeting to sign on for their package. I wanna be at the beach, not talking to their team for an hour. Other than that, the service was GREAT. The employees loved my daughter and I will never forget that.

Very nice place to stay! Rooms were nice with plenty of drawers and hangers to unpack. Staff are helpful and wonderful people. Always willing to help. Pools were great, clean and fun activities throughout the day into the evening. We had a blast ☺️

Nice resort, very nice landscaping, staff all nice & attentive, our front desk concierge Ricardo Sanchez was top notch , he gave us his cell # upon checking and stated text him for anything . He escorted us to our room along with the bellman , we went to tip him and he refused saying, im just doing my job and I really didnt do anything for you. He found us daily by pool & stopped to check in, great person. We woke to a flooded hallway & bathroom after a few days in, texted him and he replied from home and stated he would be in soon and already made the call for maintance,. Within 2 hours he found us, advised we would need to change rooms and had it done very promptly. Rooms cleaned daily, no issue at all with towels or fresh sheets. , mini fridge re stocked daily. The food was OK, if you got anything from the buffet that was in the "steamtable" that was supposed to be hot, it was lukewarm at best unless it was a fresh tray that just came out. The ala carte ones were decent. Bartenders very nice, always a smile, Sandy at the pool bar was top notch, always singing and engaging with guests. The fried chicken at the pool was amazing, always hot & juicy. ! Will we go back , probably not , but we just like different resorts unless they are amazing for a return.

So far it has been great , im here for my bday week and the service has been great . Even upgrading me to pool view. Also Ricardo made sure i had no problems and any issues that i had he got them handled before he came into work .. also i had a reservation at the steak house and the server was great . Starling was my server and the food was delicious. I am vegetarian and the vegetable skewers were delectable. Also Genesis was super attentive and sweet , she made sure waters and tea were filled and brought my white wine fast . So far so good.

I had an excellent experience at Occidental Punta Cana. From the moment we arrived, ambassador Lidia Almonte helped us to complete our overall check in process and also she helped us in every corner throughout our stay and she was always ready to help with a smile. I told her that I want to see her as Manager on our next trip to Occidental Punta Cana. The resort itself is absolutely beautiful. Food and drinks were amazing with lots of variety and especially the steak House.

Myself ,my best friend and her mom had the pleasure of staying in the Elegance club ,adults only section. It was amazing. Our rooms were close to the beach. We really enjoy private areas away from the large crowds. The staff was very helpful, special mention to Santa ,the waitress/ bar tender who helped me to feel better after some stomach upset with her BOMBA drink. The hotel is beautiful. My friend and I played pickleball 10 days, loved it! WE used a local cab from the airport instead of the hotel transportation, much more affordable and safe. Rooms were clean and it wasn't noisy. Large selection of good even though I am a vegan, i found many things to eat. Entertainment was good as well, beautiful long beaches to walk, we used the gym as well, great equipment and staff. Butler service was helpful az well. Would diffinately come back, thank you for a perfect stay.Only thing I would recommend is screens on the patio doors.

This is my second time at Majestic over 15 years ago we came to Majestic Colonial and it was beautiful now 15 years later we came back to Majestic Elegance and another beautiful stay. The animation group was excellent, they are animated and beautiful staff. Tutty Frutty, La Melasa, Onguito espectacular, they kept us entertained during our entire stay. The restaurant services were excellent, we celebrated my girlfriend’s birthday at the Italian restaurant and we were catered to perfection by Mirungia, Hector, Keibal, Jesús. What an excellent staff you have. They truly go above and beyond to make guest stay excellent. We will be back. Thank you for an excellent stay

First time in PUNTA CANA and I love it. All the service since the servers like Carlos, seriously he is the best, always smiling, happy and make you feel welcome, we learned the word "Excelente" and when he said he meant it (we want to take him with us ) You can ask for him at the steak house. Franklin so adorable attentive too, great server. Israel, Pedro and Jesus at the principal restaurant took care of us every day with a big smile and knowing what we drink. At the French restaurant Gabriela and Jenry very nice. The botones botones sweet person and helpful. One of the best team ever : the entertainment team ( guys we love youuuu Estephanie, Tutifruti and Antonio you made us feel welcome and we became like family in a couple days. Tuti fruti has so much energy than anybody else in this world. Majestic Elegance has the best team, you are doing a great job. From being greeted as family to the fast chech in and friendly staff. It was the start of a great vacation. Victor my butler made my stay easy and worry free. Sophia the bartender is the best. She never forgot my name or my favorite drink. Yesacua the server was awesome and made lunch and dinner a awesome experience. The room was great and the bed was comfortable. The resort was beautiful.

Fantastic holiday the activities really good, entertainment team fantastic can not do enough for you. Amazing people. Christina very funny and make us feel so good working on the beach and swimming area. Mayelin entertainment in the pool is realy friendly and happy. Hit chocolate very funny all of entertainment team are realy good dances they help us to learn how to dance. Hose black as well good team. Loida bar staff very good and happy look after us all day on the beach. We having so much fun and we will come back again.

This is my second time at Majestic Resorts but my first time at Majestic Elegance. The staff is always super pleasant. Special thanks to our concierge Santiago for anticipating our needs. Walliam was always there with a towel and a smile. Yasoury Michell made sure we were always engaged in activities like the Spanich class and hat decorating. 10/10 would recommend. Hope to be back soon!

Great resort with clean and comfortable rooms and lots to do. The animation team is fantastic, special thanks to Christina, who made the activities extra fun and memorable. Even when the weather is bad they plan many activities and games inside for your entertainment. Highly recommend the Bingo 3:30pm at the poolside. We also loved the food, they have a great variety of fresh dishes, everything that the heart desires. The staff is super nice and grants you every wish. Thank you very much for making our vacation so great and memorable!

Amazing experience! The staff was super friendly and attentive. The food was varied and delicious every day. My room was very comfortable and had everything I needed. I loved how close all the amenities were — easy to get around the property. The gym was spotless, well-organized, and had everything for a good workout. Only suggestion: it would be great to have more sports bars on-site. Highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again!

The staff deserve special mention everyone was warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect. From the front desk to the restaurant teams, service was consistently top-notch. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and luxurious, with comfortable beds and modern amenities. I especially loved waking up to ocean views and enjoying my morning coffee on the balcony. The food and drinks were outstanding plenty of delicious options for every taste, from international buffets to elegant à la carte dining. The cocktails were creative and refreshing, and the atmosphere at every restaurant was lively yet relaxing. Whether you’re looking to unwind by the pool, enjoy beach activities, or indulge at the spa, there’s something for everyone here. The entertainment team also did a fantastic job keeping guests engaged without it ever feeling intrusive. Our family of four had a great time at Paradisus Palma Real. All the staff members were very attentive and friendly, especially at the Kidsdom. There were always activities and water fun times for the kids. The room we stayed was a swim up Master suite, which was newly renovated and very spacious for our family. There were also six restaurants and two buffets at the property, all the food was nicely prepared and very delicious. We liked that a lot of them were local dishes and authentic. Overall it was a great stay for us, I would definitely recommend this resort.

Rafael on the beach was amazing! He got our spot ready every morning and waited on us like we were royalty! And we he wasn’t there Yuderi took his spot and was excellent as well! Our concierge Eriol was awesome and so sweet! He made our anniversary extra special! Gladys in the spa! OMG! Magical! We will definitely be back!

The stay was amazing and the Flora Dominican restaurant is a must visit! Definitely the best restaurant at the resort and will definitely be coming again. Our server Cesar also gave excellent recommendations for food that I probably wouldn’t have tried without his recommendation. Also the drinks from the rum republic bar were always outstanding especially from Miguel who really perfects each drink and makes it taste incredible. Can’t wait to return to this amazing resort again in the future!

Rosanna, its the best hostess at the main pool, very attentive and always a smile. Remembers your drink of choice, and never walks past without checking on you. Makes your stay worth it and would come back just because of the amazing staff throughout the property. When you're here you are family and they treat you as such. Highly recommend, give it a try if you're on the fence, its our first visit to the Dominican Republic and to an all inclusive. Definitely caters to the adult side of things.

We had a great time on our girl's trip. Our goal was to rest and relax while not doing a whole lot. Mission accomplished. The food was excellent and there were always things to do on the resort. Fernando Chispa and Ay Ay Ay were always so fun and ready to get us involved in activities. They taught us to dance and made sure we had everything we needed. Our catamaran trip to a private beach for yoga was great too! Our concierge, Adriel, made our dinner reservations and texted us activities every morning. He even made sure we made it to dinner on time and stayed hydrated. Great service. We look forward to coming back soon!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I came here for my 26th birthday and it was one of the best trips I’ve ever been on. The food was amazing with so many options, including vegan choices, and the drinks were just as great. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful anytime I had a question, they never hesitated to assist. Our rooms were cleaned daily, and the entire resort was well kept. What I really appreciated was the guest services area where you can book excursions right on-site. It made planning activities so easy and affordable without having to leave the resort to search for options. From start to finish, the service, food, and overall experience were excellent. I truly loved my visit and would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway.

My wife and I stayed here for a long weekend babymoon. The resort was great. The rooms were clean and upkept well while we were there. The beach and pool were beautiful and we didn't struggle to find chairs at all. The only slight downside was the food. It left a little to be desired, especially from the buffet. The restaurants were much better. We had a great time and felt very relaxed by the end of the trip.

Honestly, DO NOT STAY HERE unless you’re on a very tight budget. The money you’ll save by coming here is NOT worth the expense of a very comfortable and relaxing vacation. There were so many cons of this resort that I had to start making a list so I’d remember. I’ll spare you by only naming the most notable ones. But I’ll be fair and give the pros too. Pros: Affordable, staff is friendly, nice pool, food is overall good, there’s really great live entertainment and shows, room is spacious, five restaurants came with the basic all inclusive package, and the guest services and cleaning crews are prompt with requests. Above all, the food and entertainment stood out for us. The nightly shows at the Palace were super fun and well put together. And the food at the restaurants available to us with our package, although VERY hit or miss, had a lot of hits! Now, on the cons. A lot of things are not included!!! For example, room service is not included and many of the activities the website advertises are not included. You also often find yourself hungry and with nowhere to find a snack, because there is no food at the pool or at most of the bars. There’s one place in the Palace (a short train ride away, though you have to wait 10-15 mins for the train) that’s open 24 hours and has a buffet of bar-like food. Otherwise, you have to go to one of the other buffets during their hours. Further, the train from bavaro beach (adults only) to bavaro palace is very infrequent and the system itself hard to understand, especially since trains go in different directions to different parts of the larger resort without any sort of signage. We got lost and missed dinner reservations. Now, on to the room. There is no shower curtain for some reason, so be prepared to have water all of the floor constantly. More importantly, the bathrooms are moldy, most notably around the handles and corners. There were also old blood stains on many of our towels, which is DISGUSTING. Further, they clearly don’t change the sheets everyday like they are supposed to/say they do. I know this because my bonnet left a mark on a pillow case one night, and it was the exact same pillow case when I got in the bed the next day. Amazingly, what ACTUALLY broke the camel’s back for us was when dozens of water BUGS crawled in under our door after a rather heavy rain. It was disgusting!!! In conclusion, don’t stay at Bavaro Beach. You’ll have better luck at the Palace if you’re willing to deal with kids or have kids. Otherwise, STAY AWAY!!!

I stayed at Barceló Bávaro Beach – Adults Only for my birthday and overall had a great time. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, and they even helped me upgrade my room to a better ocean view. The room was comfortable but could be cleaner, and the furniture is a bit outdated. During the first two days, there was no cold water, and the toilets and beach showers didn’t work, but everything was fixed later, and the hotel offered a free dinner at the French restaurant to make up for it. The food was good but repetitive, and the steakhouse was disappointing. The spa at Barceló Bávaro Palace was amazing, though! The bartenders at the pool and lobby seemed tired, but most of the staff were friendly. The entertainment team was fun (special thanks to Junior!), though they could organize more activities on the beach and by the pool. The beach is stunning once cleaned from seaweed — white sand and turquoise water! Just bring mosquito repellent, as bugs bite before rain. Despite minor issues, I’d definitely recommend this resort for its beauty and relaxing vibe.

i was a little disappointed by the buffet food, but some of the options were still nice! i just wish the food was hotter. i enjoyed eating at kyoto and santa fe. the entertainment team is so lively! i enjoyed dancing with chocolate and another woman (i didn’t get her name, she was slim with wavy hair), and i loved watching the other dark skin woman (mayi) on the entertainment team dance! i stayed a week by myself and the staff was so welcoming and entertaining! Maria S. from el caribe buffet was so friendly, i enjoyed talking with her. i will definitely try to book again! after reading some of the previous reviews: i was lucky i didn’t have no issues with my room

Overall a nice place. Reduced one star because rooms are quite dated and could use an update. Check in took very long which is annoying when you arrive after a long journey. Food was good at the buffet restaurant. I would not recommend the restaurants which are included in the package. The restaurants where you pay a bit extra are definitely better. All service staff was very friendly and attentive. Everything was very clean.

I just got back from this resort after spending about a week there with the adults-only all-inclusive. The good: The front desk and staff service are friendly and attentive. It was easy to get what I needed from them Chez Gourmand: this is the best of the restaurants that are included in the package. There was enough on the menu that we went there three times and it was all good or really good. The service at that spot is great The pool: the pool is really nice, with lots of shaded spots to put your towel or lounge on. There's no swim-up bar but it's right beside the pool. There are also these partially submerged chez-lounges that are excellent. There's good music around the pool and entertainment that keeps the energy up. The bars: there are some good bars throughout the resort, including one on the Palace side that has air conditioning. It was so humid when we went that it was welcome during the hot evenings. The room: we were in room 1056, and it had a view of the pool and the ocean, and was well maintained. I know these resorts get used a lot so some rundown is expected. But at our request it was cleaned every day and the bed was comfortable. Great AC The Just Ok: The beach: my only gripe about the beach was there were ONLY lounge chairs on the beach. Any shade you got had to be from the palm trees, which weren't that healthy looking to be honest. Other resorts I've stayed at had some cabanas or something for shade. Otherwise you are turned to a crisp in no time. The main buffet: The food here can be hit or miss. Some days it wasn't super interesting, and other days the food was pretty good for resort standards The resort shows: over on the Palace side they have nightly shows. The only show I liked was the Michael Jackson tribute. The circus show was alright...but the Madonna tribute...needs a lot of work, from production, to the costumes and the overall direction of that show (the backup dancers are the best part) Cost: if you want to go outside of your package, there's a cost. Everything from other restaurants to bowling costs extra. If it's just two of you, it's not so bad -- but for larger groups that can add up. If your home currency is not USD, that can increase costs even more. The bad: The Santa Fe steakhouse/Coral seafood restaurants. These are included in our package - and they're not good. Both share a buffet - and from all the cooking it's really smoky in there. The food for both from the meat/fish to the sides are just...bad. The steak is poorly cooked. I would not eat there. The service for both those places feels really impersonal - but I can understand since it's very busy and there are often larger groups. I'm not sure where to put this part but each night, especially on the Palace side, we saw HUGE 2-inch long cockroaches in the hallways. They didn't seem to be bothering anyone, or anywhere near food, but that's something to note. This resort is so big I can't imagine they'd get in somehow. Overall this resort is alright. I'd probably go back again.

We booked this resort through Costco and are so glad we got such a great deal! The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the food is absolutely amazing - both the buffet and à la carte options had incredible vegetarian choices along with fresh meat. The entertainment team was fantastic and made sure we were always having fun. Big shoutout to Black Mamba, Shaggy, Dai, Smiley, and Sugar for making our vacation extra special! The only downside was the presentation, which unfortunately took up about half a day but aside from that, everything was perfect. We’re definitely coming back!

This was our second time staying at JOIA Iberostar and our sixth trip to the Dominican Republic. Last year was our first visit to this resort, and we immediately fell in love with it. This year, we couldn’t wait to return — and once again, it exceeded our expectations! From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. The staff is incredibly friendly, the resort is spotless and beautifully maintained, and the food is delicious. The service is truly top-notch. A huge thank you to our butlers, Armando and Raymond, who took exceptional care of us and made sure every need was met. The sports and entertainment team was energetic and fun — a special shoutout to Shagi, Shugar,Smily and Natalie, who made every activity enjoyable and memorable. Valentin was our butler and he was fantastic. He met our every need the minute we asked. He was so friendly and we really enjoyed talking with him. He was truly excellent! We loved the Star cafe and enjoyed the specialty coffees very much. I accidentally did not get the name of the sweet woman at the omelette station, but she was so friendly and smiling every day. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and will be returning again.

What an amazing experience and wonderful resort. We book this resort based on a referral from a friend and I’m absolutely glad we did. The resort was incredible beautiful offer a ton of great food and amenities and the staff was the icing on the cake. From the minute we walked into the lobby and checked we knew this would a place we would be back to and are already planning our next trip. A big shoot out to black momba, shaggy, sugar, smiley , Eric and our two butlers Reynaldo and Armando all of the amazing staff that made this a trip to remember. Joia was a great resort for relaxation, good food, and activities planned and put on by the resort every day. Our Butler Jose and Houston were terrific. They always took care of us during our stay and did special things for us to make the experience even more memorable. Our favorite experience was the beach. We were able to sit under the palm cabanas and the waiter service was wonderful. They made sure we had something to drink and came around at a perfect duration to make sure we were good. The restaurant employees were also very nice and professional. We also came because the Joia had its own golf course and it was also a wonderful experience and employees were great. Overall it was a great experience and we look forward to coming back in the future!

My experience here was beyond excellent and amazing. When we arrived we were quickly greeted by Jose who checked in on us throughout our stay, making sure that we were comfortable and happy with our rooms. The entertainment crew, Yeli, Sugar, Shaggy, Smiley, and Annie were fantastic, always raising fun and spirits for the guests. They always walked around, making conversation and connections with the guests. Everyone, those who worked in the restaurants, the swim-up bar and other bars, were always on top of things and friendly; checking in on people and making conversation and jokes. The grounds at the resort were always well maintained by the grounds keepers who would often say "hello" and "good morning" to anyone walking by. Additionally, the architecture was gorgeous and most definitely not dated. I loved this resort and can't wait to come back when I can!!!

We had a wonderful experience and vacation at Joia Iberostar. Our butlers Edward and Danilo were top notch!!! Whatever we wanted or needed they made it happen. The other workers from the maids, the front desk, cooks, waiters and waitresses, entertainers, bartenders, and anyone else I missed made us feel so welcome! We will definitely be coming back. Special shout out to Altagracia from the Bella Vista buffet for greeting me by name every morning for breakfast. She is a sweetheart. Thank you!!!

We took about 45 mins to check in alone, the place was filthy when we arrived. There wasn’t any towels in the bathroom, half roll of toilet paper for 4 days stay for 2 people. I called reception ask for towel and toilet paper upon arrival in our room they took about 1/2 hour before bringing two towels only to our room. The didn’t bring the toilet paper thankfully we always travel with wet wipes. 2 days after our stay I requested 2 more towels as those ones got dirty and toilet paper again they never brought it. The washroom window was completely broken anyone could’ve get into our room by going through the broken windows. The microwave in the room wasn’t working as well. The day of our check out the receptionist came up to our room 10:50 am telling us it’s time to check out which we were ready and was about to leave. Very poor service and low maintenance. I don’t advice anyone to stay here no matter how cheap it is !!!!!

The room was clean upon arrival but the 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment does not have air conditioning in the main living room/kitchen of the apartment. We did not stay. The staff was very friendly and the check in services provided was great. We just chose somewhere else because we like to have time together in the family room and I cook a lot and with that area not having air conditioning was a big thing for our family.

Zero! 0 out of 10. DONT BOOK IT!!!! 1. Internet doesn’t work 2. Dirty everywhere. In the room. DIRTY swimming pool!! Dirty beds!! 3. Additional fee. The room cost 22$ + additional fee (25$) for cleaning!!! Plus they don’t accept dollars and you should pay in euros by the strange rate from their site! 4. Broken furniture. Broken doors. Broken wardrobe! 5. No kitchen. 3 stars for this hotel??? Really???

I really liked the apartment, very comfortable except for the TV which was old and we couldn't connect to anything but local cable, when there was a curfew. Staff was nice. Our apartment keys never worked and that was a headache. Once it was time to checkout, the manager was nowhere to be found. They asked us to wait until 9am, which we did, and then asked us to wait an extra 30 minutes which we didn't agree to. Since we had to pay an extra $500 pesos for a key that never worked, we wanted to personally speak to her about the issue. The other staff was able to refund us.

There was a misunderstanding about a additional tax, that is not listed in our reservation. I asked for a receipt for it to pay, they refused to provide and lied about it. As a result of this dispute they locked me and my fiance out of room for five hours, with only our bathing suits. Refusing to let us back in, until we paid, which was impossible because all our money was in the room. Thankfully another client, helped out to cool down the office staff to accept his money as collateral, to let into our room to pay this "cleaning tax". Beware

One of the worst experiences for a hotel booking. We arrived late to the building and there was no one in the office. We were given an ultimatum that you have to pay full by cash to stay in the apartment or to provide our passports for security which was totally stupid. We had provided our credit card details already for booking and do not understand the purpose of keeping our passport. Please do not book here.

Really nice place but the front desk have bad rudeness attitude. We booked a apartment with 4 bed for 4 adults and a kid they extra charge us and they were forcing us to pay extra for the 4th bed that was included on the booking. We were shocked by his lack of professionalism and bad attitude towards an important matter such as hygiene and safety. We they told us that weren't right cause we were claiming for what we paid. I am ashamed that we stayed here and embarrassed that we blessed the owner with any of our hard earned money. PLEASE DON’T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE THAT WE DID.

This was a business trip. My company reluctantly booked 2 rooms for my colleague and me at this hotel. My colleague checked in earlier, but my flight got delayed and I have arrived after 11P. The clerk at the reception was very confused and couldn't speak much English. He was unable to find my reservation, which was fully paid for by our company's travel agency. After 40 min at the front desk, he finally found my colleague, but said only one room was booked by our agent. He told me the only way for me to stay is to pay for the suite for $470! I really had no choice - the guy was grossly incompetent. Next morning, we spoke to another clerk and we were moved to the room that was already paid for. When I brought it up to the management, they agreed to refund, but, of course never did. 3 days in this hotel were absolutely disastrous. If you like to take a hot shower in the morning, good luck! Ice cold water is going out of the shower head. It gets warmer later in the day. When I complained about no hot water in the shower, i was told that 75% of Dominicans live without hot water... No light in the hallway at night on the 4th floor - i had to my phone's light to navigate. During breakfast, some waiters stated that the breakfast was included with my stay - others demanded payments. This was a really unpleasant experience. I have stayed in really nice hotels in DR in the same price range - this was rater an exception. I will make a formal complaint to Marriott management, of course. Meanwhile, I suggest you stay elsewhere.

Comfy spot, the most central location in PuntaCana & the service was top! Had to stay for a "WorkCation" trip & couldnt have selected any better. Was in the center of where I needed to be not only for meetings, but for activities that I had to also do with my kids. Not forgetting the banks and shopping, location came very handy.

Amazing Experience – Highly Recommend! Our stay at AC Marriott Hotel in Downtown Punta Cana was absolutely perfect! From start to finish, the staff went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. A special shoutout to the incredible team member who helped my partner pull off a surprise for me—she not only bought the balloons herself but also took the time to beautifully decorate our room while I was out for the day. It was such a thoughtful touch that made our stay even more special. The food was lovely, especially the à la carte menu, which was just perfect. Every member of staff, from the receptionists to the housekeepers, was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely kind. Everything was flawless, and we would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Punta Cana!

I am writing to bring attention to serious issues I experienced during my stay that compromised both my privacy and safety, as well as the overall quality of service. 1. Privacy Violation: Shortly after checking in, a staff member entered my room without knocking or announcing themselves. The music I was playing should have made it clear the room was occupied. This breach of privacy left me feeling extremely uncomfortable. 2. Unprofessional Handling of Do Not Disturb: I placed a “Do Not Disturb” sign on my door for privacy. Despite this, I received three knocks at 10 PM from housekeeping, followed by two calls and a passive-aggressive message implying that I should not request service if I used the sign. My service request had been clearly scheduled for the following morning, but there was no acknowledgment or apology for the disruption. 3. Lack of Basic Amenities and Mismanagement: Upon check-in, I discovered my room lacked basic amenities such as washcloths, hand towels, and soap. When I raised this concern, management blamed me for having a “Do Not Disturb” sign on my door at 10pm three nights later and falsely claimed to have video evidence of used wash cloths being removed during servicing. This was untrue, as only trash, pillowcases, and sheets were removed. I was present during the service and i saw what was taken from the room. These incidents reflect a disturbing lack of respect for guest privacy, poor communication, and unprofessional conduct. Furthermore, the rooms themselves are poorly insulated, with thin walls that make every conversation in adjacent rooms and hallways audible—an ongoing source of discomfort throughout my stay. I have attached photos of the condition of my “fully cleaned” room to illustrate the substandard service. This experience has left me feeling unsafe, disrespected, and deeply dissatisfied. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Disappointed from day one. I’m staying at AC Hotel by Marriott for the next few days with both breakfast and dinner included in my reservation. But to my surprise, on my first night, they tried to charge me for dinner—despite it clearly being part of my booking. To make matters worse, the food didn’t look fresh at all. I genuinely felt uneasy eating it and am now worried I might fall ill. The restaurant was practically empty, which honestly didn’t inspire much confidence either. Not the standard I expected from a Marriott-branded hotel

I’m baffled by the positive reviews for this hotel—it’s far from a good experience. Everything here feels like a low-budget operation. Here’s a list of issues I encountered during my stay: 1. Check-In Delays: Despite checking in through the app, I still had to wait 20 minutes at the front desk. 2. No Room Service Before 11 AM: Forget about ordering anything in the morning—it’s simply not available. 3. Uncomfortable Room: • No comforter on the bed. • Air conditioning doesn’t go below 70°F, and it randomly shuts off with no way to control it. • The TV is tilted awkwardly toward the ceiling. 4. Poor Amenities: • Towels are so small they seem like they’re for children. • The shower floods the entire bathroom. 5. Noise Issues: The walls are paper-thin—you can hear everything, including: • TVs and conversations from neighboring rooms. • People blowing their noses. • Construction noise from three floors down. 6. No Late Check-Out: Even though I’m a Marriott Bonvoy Silver Elite member (which includes late check-out as a benefit), my request for late check-out was refused. 7. Horrible Food Service: They just served me a rotten egg with black mold on it. This hotel completely fails to meet even the most basic standards. It’s not just disappointing—it’s unacceptable. Avoid this place at all costs.

Our experience at AC Marriott Punta Cana was truly unforgettable, thanks to the amazing staff. A special thank you to Francisco, Kiuston, Carmen, Roberto, at the restaurant for their hospitality. I stayed at this resort from August 16–22, 2025, and unfortunately, it was one of the most disappointing trips I’ve ever taken. Check-in was delayed by 1.5 hours, our first room was missing basics (iron, hangers), and it took hours to get simple items delivered. Throughout the week, we were constantly waiting—sometimes over an hour—for towels, toilet paper, or washcloths. Calls to the front desk went unanswered so often that I had to walk to the lobby multiple times just to get help. On top of that: We were woken up by construction outside our suite. We had to move rooms more than once. A mouse was seen running across the living room floor. One balcony chair smelled like cat urine. Very limited English-speaking staff, which made communication stressful. No TV in the bedroom, no microwaves in suites, and pools closed at 7 PM. ATMs on-site were either broken or out of cash. The only positives were the pool and bar staff (who were very friendly), the restaurants (good food), and the excursions. Unfortunately, those few highlights didn’t make up for the constant lack of service, organization, and cleanliness. Overall, I left feeling cheated out of my money’s worth and extremely disappointed. I cannot recommend this resort until they address their serious customer service and operations issues.

I stayed at Sports Illustrated Resort Cap Cana and found the experience to be pretty disappointing overall. Check-in took nearly three hours past the scheduled time because we were charged extra for a 14-year-old (considered an adult, which wasn’t made clear). Even after sorting that out, our room wasn’t ready, and we didn’t receive wristbands for the all-inclusive access at check-in. The beach was unusable due to seaweed, and the shuttle to get there wasn’t reliable. Uber rides were about $5 and much more convenient. The beach club service didn’t begin until after 11am, even though it opened at 10. No one came to greet us or take our order, so we eventually left. The buffet food was just okay—not bad, but nothing memorable—and the hostess at the buffet was unpleasant on several occasions. Most of the staff speak Spanish, so if you know a little, it’ll definitely help your stay.

Definitely enjoyed the service here at the resort. Our concierge and ambassador was the best on making accommodations for my spouses birthday. We stayed under all inclusive and the bar service was great. Recommend if you want to visit a place that’s laid back and chill!

The resort itself is nice. It seems to be well maintained and has plenty of staff. If you are single, this is not your resort. All inclusive means you get one restaurant, the buffet. The activities on resort are practically non existent. Not much of any single women. The excursions are reasonable but my time for fishing was flubbed and I waited for 30 minutes for a ride that came over an hr late. Another excursion was cancelled because they only do “couples”. For a family on a budget it’s ok, for a single person, I recommend the Royalton Adults only. Also they are insistent you use a credit card for everything which defeats the whole purpose of “all inclusive”. The other restaurants on resort are nice but over priced and not included in the “ all inclusive” would not recommend would not stay again. They should change the name as the Sports Illustrated name means nothing here, there are some themed areas but no sports to speak of

Let me just say the workers are phenomenal. This review is not a reflection of the locals who work this hotel. The room was very spacious, but it clearly the “ you don’t deserve our best because you got it on discount room”. The AC control panel was broken, the door had two key entry locks. You could tell the room was worn from the mirrors in the bathroom, bedside tables, the stove and base boards. They don’t even have pictures in the picture frames. We didn’t make a fuss of this since we figured we wouldn’t do more than sleep in the room, but it’s Seaweed season so we couldn’t do the beach. All the water sports activities we booked were refunded from all the smelly seaweed. You can really smell it in the morning. It’s like going by a water treatment planet. They mentioned it was an all inclusive resort, but failed to mention the restaurants outside of the lobby/ buffet, pool side bar and one other building were not included in that. Honestly the food at the buffet was far better than the food at the restaurants. They staff do their best to entertain and engage you. They are such bright and friendly people and I do hope they are compensated well. However this location leaves a lot to be desired in regards to entertainment. However, it’s a safe space as it is guarded 24/7. It’s easy to walk around or drive golf carts around which was a plus ( our little form of entertainment). I would say this is more of a relaxation type space not for the adventurous type or young couples who want to dance etc. Im not saying don’t visit just don’t have high expectations and please take cash to tip the waiters, bartenders and cleaning lady. I will visit the DR again for a better experience in the future just not Sports Illustrated. Please also note they have a cute little boutique hotel located on the Cap Cana location as well near the restaurants. It’s absolutely gorgeous; it’s called hotel casa don luis cap Cana. It’s probably expensive since it’s a boutique hotel but if you’re into that and don’t mind the really quiet atmosphere of this location in general then this may be for you too. I added photos as well so you can see for yourselves that I’m not making this up. Hopefully they upload clearly.

This was our 3rd time staying at this resort. We love it because we can relax, we can join in the activities set up by the amazing staff, and we can plan fun excursions. Special thanks to the DJ and the music and dancing and entertainment and games and prizes. And a special thanks to all the front desk team and all the bartender crew and everyone who does their best to make this place wonderful.

This is the absolute worst place I have ever stayed! When we got to the airport, there was no one there to meet us and take us to the resort. We had to pay someone to take us. When we got here, we're starving. The restaurant had closed, but they still let us in. And there was barely anything to eat. And it was cold. At 3 PM our room was not ready at 4 PM our room was not ready. So I asked to speak to someone they brought the manager, he said, give me 15 minutes at 4:30. The room was still not ready. By this time I was really angry, he said, no worries. I'll upgrade you not sure what he meant by that, but we did not get it. There are 3 adults, one 13-year-old and one 8-year-old. We paid over $4300 for the all Inclusive, it does not include any alcohol delivered to your room. You have to go downstairs and walk a quarter of a mile to the bar to get it. We are about a 15 minute drive to the Beach. Evelynns told me it was $50 for 24 hours. I get there and it's $90 and she gave me a $5 discount, which was $85 a day for a Golf cart. My son goes to the beach this morning and there's so much seaweed, there was no way you could get in the water and no one was down there so that was a waste of $450 on a Golf cart. If you want to order room service, you have to go through WhatsApp to your concier, to get anything ordered. The pools closes at 6 PM so on our first night after eating dinner. The boys couldn't even go swimming. Who closes a pool at 6 PM? The next morning at 6 AM I call room service, I ask for a pot of coffee, some juices for the boys, mango pineapple, cantaloupe and Kiw, the man laughed when I said mango. I asked for it to be delivered at 8:30 AM at 7. AM this morning, there was a knock at the door they had 5 plates of eggs, sausage and potatoes, 2 plates with very little fruit on it, only pineapple and guava and a pot of coffee. The rooms are good. the people are friendly, room service totally sucks and the food's not good at all. I will never come back to the Dominican Republic again! This was the first time my grandsons had ever been out of the country. I really wanted this to be very special for them, and it's turned out to be a nightmare!! I am not the only one I met a couple sitting at the bar. He said he has complained so much. He was afraid they were gonna come pull him out of their room in the wee hours of the morning. I met another lady. She said the food's just recycled from one restaurant to another restaurant!! NO DIFFERENCE!!!!

We were there and the place was very spacious, straight on the beach. Massive construction, 3 room apartment is impressive. The small problem what they have, and I do not know how they can fix it, and that is there are small ants running around the kitchen on the wall. The apparent is equipped with washing machine and dryer. If you are from Europe bring with you the convertor in order to have electricity for your equipment. Beach is nice equipped.

PROS: The location, good view and access to beach. Has pool and beach options. We liked that it is a boutique hotel with plenty of restaurants, local gems and super markets. Highly recommend eating at Caricuisine, for a local Haitian taste and Citrus, for a little fancier fusion cuisine. The accommodation is good. The staff was overall friendly and responsive. The security team on the beach was outstanding and welcomed us each day. They also kept an eye on our stuff if we went into the water and would make sure lovals selling items on the beach were not a nuisance. The front desk, housekeeping and maintenance staff were good. Freddie, one if the front desk staff was very helpful in recommending restaurants. Prompt on responding to text messages and was always polite. I liked that the unit has a water cooler and you get a large tank for your stay. Any needed refills are a small fee, but it is nice to not have to carry and restock water on your own. Bring your own laundry soap if needed. Unit has a full washer and dryer. Bring your own kitchen rag, dish and hand towels. Bring your own oils, herbs, spices or plan on buying them at the local supermarket that is a ~7 min walk away. You can tell that when this hotel was new, it was superb and pristine. It's now broken in and some areas more worn than others. Be aware that you will pay for electricity, so it would behoove you to be mindful. If you blast the AC to freezer level, you will pay for it. Watch the kiddos and limit the cooling. CONS: Didn't rate this place a 10/10 because of the details. I can look past the missing tiles, cracked paint, bleached and faded furniture/finishes, but it was the lack of attention to detail that was a mismark for me. The kitchen is stocked with dish soap and sponge, but the sponge is not new for each guest. There are no kitchen rags, dish/hand towels. Luckily, I asked ahead and brought these items from home. The master bathroom had a half full garbage upon our arrival and we struggled with hot water for the entire unit and then the master bedroom for a couple days. The gym is adequate and a bathroom is attached, but has no hand soap. They supplied a grill for us to cook outside, but it took 2 units and changing of fuel lines and it still worked only intermittently, so we sent it back. The kitchen is well stocked with equipment, but doesn't have a cutting board. We had AC issues in the master bedroom, but made it work and didn't notify staff until our leave. We felt like we had communicated enough issues for our stay.

We stayed at this apartment in late February 2023 for 4 days. The rooms were clean, airy, pleasantly decorated, and comfortable to stay for our visit. The location is exceptional, right next (about 200 metres) to the beach with a beautiful view of the sea.

Is a lovely place, but we got into a difficult situation which in any case, any hotel would have helped, they didn’t, they seemed helpful but they weren’t, they really were just thinking about their own benefit, don’t trust them in helping you with anything, is a trick, they only care for themselves. I wish our stayed would have been amazing, sadly it wasn’t and is all their fault. They won’t had your back, they didn’t care for our safety and even stopped us to call police even tho it was needed.

This truly is a fantastic place. Clean place great front end staff and security is so friendly. Large modern rooms. Lots of private large bathrooms in each apartment. Terrace and nice pool. The nicest location we have found in Punta Cana and very reasonable prices. Air conditioning worked great in bedrooms, the main room AC on two units we stayed in needed some attention but still workable. Nicely equipped kitchens and right on the beach. Absolutely can't go wrong staying here and say thanks to me once you go and love it.

I must say I rented this place and it so beautiful I stay in a penthouse with a big balcony and jacuzzi very nice staff very clean love the view of the pool and beach very spacious the penhouse apartments celebrate my birthday with family little get together quietly I recommend this place just to come and relax and have lots of fun 😍🌴🌊🏊🏻‍♂️🇩🇴💯 I will be back soon 🇩🇴💯🇩🇴

Very nice place. Staff are nice and friendly. Oscar, Fredi and Francia are amazingly friendly and helpful. We stayed at A202 and C102 for couple of nights. Spacious Room and nicely decorated. Kitchen has everything you need for your stay. AC s are a little bit tricky. We had issues with them during our stay but generally they were ok. Nice towels for pool provided for the stay. Ocean is full of seaweeds and not that ideal for swimming. Pool is nice size and great. Noticed that Couple of days staff checked pool water sanitary closer to noon. Cleaning the pool could be improved. Also there are 3 showers by the pool that only one of them works. Would have been much more practical to have a foot wash spot on the way back from beach to the pool so people don’t wash their feet in the pool. Walking distance to couple of nice cafés such as Citrus and Dolce. Generally speaking nice place to stay at in Punta Cana.

Spent five nights here in winter 2020 (just before the COVID outbreak). Our room was fine, nothing special. Housekeeping (or other staff members) would let themselves into our room on several occasions without knocking or announcing themselves at all. Restaurant service was mostly abysmal, with over 45 minutes of waiting for any dinner service on our first night. The beach was a bust, because we couldn’t sit in peace for even a moment without some type of saleperson approaching us to try and sell us their wares. Absolutely wouldn’t come here again.

Great location and beautiful views but that is all. Pushy timeshare people (bought in 2021) to later fing out it's pretty much a scam. I would recommend just enjoying everything else and not agreeing to a timeshare.

We went when there was curfew in the country during the COVID-19 times, there wasn't much activity in the hotel seven so we had a good time because we party in punta cana clubs, as it was an adult hotel, we had a complaint because the buffet was mixed with the family resort and that's how we got breakfast and champagne in the room as a result of the complaint.

I read a lot of reviews before coming here. Many said it wasn't good and many said it was great. I've had a great stay. The food has been plentiful and good. Most of the staff greets you with a smile and have been super helpful. Daniel, who is in charge of activities, went above and beyond to make sure our family was having fun during our vacation. The resort is small and cozy and not too busy. There are little things here and there around the resort that people can nitpick but I feel for the money, it has been a great time. When you come, find Daniel and prepare to have a good time.

My family and I came to this hotel for our summer holiday in July, it was lovely! Amazing views and generally quite clean, we had a few issues with our first room but was quickly and easily sorted! The food in the buffet is quite simple but the restaurant system is very good. All of the staff are super friendly and welcoming, most of them speak English too which is great. The entertainment is great with something different everyday, biggest appreciation to ‘sexy belly’ who never fails to make everyone laugh! All around a nice experience and would recommend, definitely would visit this hotel again.

I had a very great time. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We had an assistant who checked on us often and communicated really well. The buffet had the same food every day but you can still do the variety without eating the same thing every day. The place is really clean. They were fixing our bed twice a day (don't understand why they were coming fixing the bed for bed time). All my excursions were booked separately but were in proximity with great comfortable transportation.

This hotel is definitely not 5 star! I did not have a good experience as it felt everything was extremely annoying and a problem for the staff. If you're booking all-inclusive don't. It's not truly an all inclusive, when you try to eat at any at the restaurants you need a "reservation" and then when you try to make one they tell you they're all booked. The only restaurant you really have full access to is the buffet. All the restaurants we finally had access to did not respect the "reservation" and could never find the "reservation" in their list. There is no room service and they're stingy with the room towels and take forever to bring them to you. Also, both of the rooms we booked were opened by the staff without knocking and without our permission. The staff opened one of the rooms at 6am when we were sleeping and the other at 8am!! This is highly unprofessional and should never happen. On the last day, our room keys were deactivated before checkout at 12pm and we were locked out of our rooms while we went out to breakfast. We had to walk back to the concierge to get them to activate them all over again! Highly unprofessional. As we were waiting we overheard another couple that were left in their room without AC for 5-days. The fact they weren't immediately put into another room is mind blowing. They had to endure this and argue with the front desk to even get comped on their stay. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it to any of my friends. The rest of the reviews I felt were misleading as they seemed to all be positive which is why I booked here. We were constantly faced with push back when trying to get or access the basic stuff on the resort like cabanas by the beach or drinks or food. One of the staff legit said "1 per person" for burgers!! How is that all inclusive or even okay if someone is still hungry. I'm highly disappointed with my stay. I did not add 1-star only because our Concierge Jonathan was nice and helpful and tried to assist as much as possible.

The worst hotel. Arajet airlines made us miss our flight and they sent us in this hole. Honestly, don't go here nor take arajet.

Staff is great. Hotel is old but in a neighborhood under development. The hotel sits back away from the main road so no noise. Food can be delivered.

Good place, decent installation. Basic setup I may say, however, for a couple of nights is a perfect solution. US$35.00 (RD$1,750.00) per night aprox.

WORST hotel ever!!! There were cockroaches on the bed and the lady downstairs looked at me like it's totally normal. I wanted a refund but they gave me another room BUT they did not even bother to accomodate us with water. We even begged the manager but he did not care either.

Excel Hotel, This is very confortable also the people who works there are very friendly.The price is really reasonable. I love it. Also this is at the center of Veron, from this hotel you can go easier to Higuey, Bavaro, Punta cana Airport or take the hightway to go to another city like Santo Domingo, La Romana or San Pedro.

The best place in terms of value over cost. Spacious and comfortable rooms and full breakfast for all tastes.

We stayed at the Lopesan Hotel for five nights in Room 4361, from October 4 to October 9, 2025. The check-in process was smooth — hats off to Esterbina, who was caring and took the time to explain everything about our stay as Unique guests. We were pleasantly surprised to find welcome amenities with drinks and chocolates waiting in our room. Esterbina also introduced us to our butler, Andrés, who went above and beyond throughout our stay — handling all our dinner reservations and organizing a beautiful birthday celebration for my wife on October 7. He even decorated our room with bottles of champagne to make the occasion extra special. We tried all the on-site restaurants for dinner, and each one offered excellent food and service. For breakfast, we enjoyed the buffet, where the service was exceptional — especially thanks to Gleny Marrero for her warm and attentive care. The resort’s pools are large, clean, and beautifully maintained. Overall, we had an amazing stay and truly appreciated the warm hospitality from the entire staff.

We just returned from a six-day honeymoon at the incredible Lopesan Costa Bávaro Resort, Spa & Casino, and it was absolutely unforgettable! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations — the resort is breathtaking, the food was phenomenal, and the service was impeccable. A very special thank you goes to our amazing butler, Mr. Oliver, who made our honeymoon truly magical. He was incredibly attentive, kind, and thoughtful, anticipating our every need before we even had to ask. Thanks to him, we never had to wait in line or worry about a single thing — every dinner, activity, and detail was perfectly arranged for us. His dedication and warmth made us feel so special throughout our stay. We spent our days swimming in the crystal-clear ocean, relaxing by the beautiful pools, and enjoying some of the best cuisine we’ve ever had at an all-inclusive resort. Every moment felt luxurious, peaceful, and full of joy — exactly what we hoped for in our honeymoon getaway. We are already planning our return trip for next year, and without a doubt, we’ll be requesting Mr. Oliver again. Amazing experience. From the pools to the restaurants and bars. This place has everything you could imagine. Water park, bowling, arcades, beach access. Resort is huge so expect some light walking to get around. Our concierge Oliver Dela Cruz was amazing. From the moment we entered to check in we were received with champagne and the concierge booked all our dinners for us with great explanation of each restaurant to help us select our choices. The staff was very attentive at every place. Pools were amazing. They have different pools around the resort with some being adult only for anyone looking for a more calm setting. Resort is almost perfect except for one small detail. The rooms do smell like humidity. Not bad after a bit but most likely do to the climate. Other than that you will definitely have a great time and possibly not even need to go anywhere else to have fun. The resort offers many activities for every age and you will definitely enjoy your stay. Definitely will be coming back!!

Amazing resort, very well maintained and lots of vegetation. The sand was beautiful on the beach but the beach itself could be better maintained. Loved the friendly service and the delicious food. My favourite was the Mexican and the Asian restaurant. The best part were the infinity pools and the water park. The rooms were very clean and well maintained- everything looked new. Could have some fitness classes for those who don’t like to workout themselves in the gym. Loved the resort and everything it had to offer. Recommended to my friends and family.

The best service at The Valley Bar. Yamelly, Wanda, Yokasta, Jeffrey from the Valley Restaurant are very professional! The staff at The English Pub went beyond their responsibilities to make us feel home. Rafael and Maria At Timon Bar are friendly, made us feel welcome and we enjoy an amazing evening with them. Deborah and La Perla from the entertainment cast, are ver nice, friendly, energetic and kept us entertained during the whole stay. There are so many more that I couldn’t name here because I can’t remember all their names. As a whole the staff at LOPENSAN are the best I have experienced in a long time!

Buffet Caribe exceeded my expectations. The variety was impressive — everything from fresh salads and seafood to hot dishes with authentic Caribbean flavor. The seasoning was on point and the food was always replenished before anything ran low, which tells you they care about both quality and presentation. The staff was consistently attentive, polite, and very quick to clear plates and assist when needed. The space is clean, organized, and welcoming, making it easy to relax and enjoy the experience. For the price, the value is outstanding. I would gladly return and recommend it to anyone looking for great buffet dining in the area.

The Entertainment Team is the Heart of this Resort! My recent stay at the Lopesan Costa Bavaro was elevated from a nice trip to a truly special experience thanks entirely to the incredible entertainment team. Their energy is absolutely intoxicating—it's impossible not to smile and join in! A huge shout-out to Pokemon, Choco, Randy, Perla and Kervens (and the whole team) for their exceptional commitment. They were not only fun and lively but also genuinely attentive and encouraging. I went hoping for a relaxing time, and while it was peaceful, I found myself getting caught up in the fun because of their wonderful spirit. They made me feel so welcome and encouraged me to have a good time in a way that was never pushy, just pure fun. Beyond the daytime activities, the dancers and evening shows were highly entertaining and did an excellent job of engaging the crowds every night. If you are visiting this resort, do not miss out on the activities they host. The entertainment team is phenomenal and truly made my vacation memorable. Thank you all so much!

Enjoyed the experience. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable rooms. Our "bathroom" was open. Would have preferred a room with a door for privacy and to limit disturbing others at night. The food was good. Lots of restaurants to choose from. The mini bar and room service was great for days when you want to stay in the room and enjoy the air conditioning.

This was our first time visiting DR. Overall, the resort itself is large and well kept. Most of the staff are friendly and welcoming and there is a lot to offer. Unfortunately we had some major issues during our stay. Our first room was a connecting room and the lock on our side was broken, the toilet wouldn’t flush even after maintenance came, and the room had a terrible musty/moldy smell. They did accommodate a room change, however the new room had the same bad smell. The buffet was another disappointment, minimal selection and staff were quite unpleasant. One of the included restaurant we went to, Tequila, was also a terrible experience. It took about an hour and 40 minutes for our food to arrive, and when it did most of the order was wrong. The restaurant was not overly busy but our waiters were more focused on taking videos and having shots with the table next to us instead of serving our hungry kids. While the resort has some positives, these issues made it hard to fully enjoy our vacation. I would recommend spending a little extra and choosing a different resort.

I love how big and sprawling this resort is. The buffet food was really good especially the breakfast. Lots of great fruit choices and I enjoyed the omelette and pasta stations. The restaurants were okay, not great and the snack bar was pretty terrible. Burnt patties most of the time. Drinks seemed watered down too. Beach was definitely the stand-out as chilling in the ocean was my favorite activity. The night shows were impressive, the Pirates of the Caribbean one was my favorite. The room we stayed at was outdated though and I didn't like it. Gym was kinda old too. Overall, it's decent for the price and nice to go for 3-4 nights to chill. I missed the buffet mostly along with the ocean.

I will start by saying, no place is perfect it is how you handle situations that count. This resort is such a big and beautiful place and you can see all the future upgrade going on around you and not interfering with your vacation. The entertainment all day is great the little village thats on site with gift shops are great, with casinos, sports bars and karaoke on site its great for everyone. I had an incident that I will not talk about on here but what I will say that the staff at the front desk along with management team handled the situation with so much class and professionalism that I am amazed. Like I said anyone can make a mistake, it is how it's handled that counts. I would like to thank the staff and management team.

This place is absolutely amazing! The food is definitely a 9/10. I am very the USA and stayed for 4 days. I would 100% recommend this resort to anyone looking to stay 5 days or longer. There is plenty to do and the staff here is really helpful. The renovated rooms are great too

Worst Resort Experience Ever The staff here are extremely rude. Even when I tried to be friendly and smile, they treated me with no respect. The restaurants are confusing and poorly organized. I’m still at the resort while writing this, and with 4 days left, I honestly cannot wait to go home. Upon arrival, I was told I needed to upgrade because the resort is split into 4–5 different sections. If you stay in one, you are not allowed to eat or drink at the others. I ended up paying an extra $1,500 for the upgrade, only to be told the buffet was closed. Instead, they offered a small station with a bit of fish and salad, which they called a buffet — completely unacceptable for the price paid. If you visit during low season, prepare for the worst: limited food options, poor service, and staff with absolutely no sense of hospitality. I truly hope this resort receives fewer guests in the future so the staff are forced to change their attitude and learn humility. This has been the most disappointing vacation of my life. I will never return to this resort, nor to the Dominican Republic.

We booked separately from the rest of our family and arrived a day earlier. Check-in was a disaster — it took almost 90 minutes even though I had already done the pre-check-in through the app. After a long day of travel, the last thing you want is to wait that long just to get to your room. To make things worse, we overheard that some guests were told their rooms weren’t even ready after the official 3 p.m. check-in time because housekeeping was still cleaning. On top of that, we also heard staff offering upgrades to some guests, but nothing was ever mentioned to us ( we didn’t know what was this about) When we finally got to our room, it was nothing like the photos on their website. The room was old, dirty, and missing basic things like towels, shampoo, blankets, and even the remote. We also didn’t get the extra bed we booked. Some items were delivered quickly after calling, but the bed took an entire day, and the staff answering the phone were rude about it. The mattress was rock hard, and with no extra bed, I had to share with my wife and toddler — that first night was miserable. The thermostat didn’t work properly either, and overall the room felt run-down and uncomfortable. The next day when the rest of my family arrived, they were immediately offered free upgrades to much nicer, modern rooms — a huge difference from what we were given. When I asked about it (trying to understand how they chose the upgrades), the front desk said the old rooms would be remodeled in December, but honestly, they shouldn’t be renting them out in their current state. (The reason of the free upgrades is because they ran out of the old ones so they don’t have other choice but to give some new rooms, also no problem if you get a free upgrade, but then show the real state of the old rooms to your guests so they know what to expect, seemed like they don’t want to put some extra money on those as they are about to do a complete remodel of their rooms.) After complaining, we were finally offered an upgrade — but only if we paid $400 for both rooms that were under my name. At that point, I had no choice but to pay because I couldn’t stand another night in that room. I really want to highlight that the new rooms are really nice, and again the old rooms shouldn’t even be rented as they are. Now, about the service: the hotel is huge, and you often need to use little electric carts to move around, especially if you’re with kids or elderly family. While most of the staff were wonderful and very friendly, a few of the drivers and other personal like bartenders and people working at the buffet were rude and dismissive. They ignored questions and showed zero courtesy to guests. Honestly, they might need either better training in hospitality or a different role where they don’t deal with guests directly. That being said, I want to highlight that about 90% of the staff we encountered were kind, attentive, and worked hard to give us a great experience. Overall, the resort itself is beautiful, the amenities are great, and the food is delicious with plenty of variety. We had a really good time, but the nightmare first day and the unacceptable condition of the initial rooms are what prevent me from giving a 5-star rating. For us, it’s a solid 4 stars. I hope if we ever come back, they have all the rooms at the same level of a “5 stars hotel”

Me and my friend visited on the 25th of September for 11 nights and we wish we stayed for longer! At arrival, the reception area is just breathtaking and immediately set the tone for our stay. The check in process was quick and easy. The bellboys were very welcoming and helpful in getting us and our luggage to our room. Overall, the rooms are stunning, modern and clean with very comfy beds. During our stay, our concierge Angel was quite literally an angel, he assisted us with bookings for restaurants and anything we needed. He was an essential part of our holiday, always going above and beyond and we cannot recommend him enough! We spent most of our time by the Daisy pool joining in on the daily activities such as football, aqua gym and basketball and won a bottle of rum each! In particular, we loved the foam parties as they were so much fun. I recommend watching the sunrise on the beach one morning as we took some beautiful photos and therefore, got first selection soon as the breakfast buffet opened. We enjoyed most of the food despite being picky eaters, there is plenty of choice of all international foods. Our favourite restaurant was the Italian as the food is delicious. The entertainment staff were the main highlight of our holiday, they were absolutely amazing. Gerson, Endrick and Carlos were our favourites. we loved chatting to them every day. They are incredibly hard working, always full of energy and their dancing is flawless. They never failed to make us laugh and smile and made our holiday as incredible as it was, I honestly cannot thank them enough. We will definitely miss them and hope to come back soon! I also celebrated my birthday during our stay, and it was genuinely the best birthday I’ve ever had. Thanks to Angel, our room was decorated with rose petals and swan towels which was a really special touch, I also received a delicious cake and a birthday song at dinner. We also went on the monkey land excursion which I highly recommend! It was an incredible day. Overall, every aspect of our holiday was perfect and we are already planning our return for next year. I cannot thank the staff enough for making our stay so special!!

Emanuel, Yhunneli, Cruz, and Heriberto David with the Experience team at Ocean El Faro truly made our vacation unforgettable! From the moment we arrived, they were full of energy, smiles, and laughter — always taking the time to talk with everyone and make sure we were having fun. They organized amazing games, activities, and events every day that brought people together and kept the good vibes going nonstop. Whether it was beach volleyball, pool games, or evening shows, they made sure everyone felt included. You can tell they genuinely love what they do — their enthusiasm is contagious! Huge shoutout to the entire team for their hard work, positive energy, and kindness. You guys are the heart of the resort and made our stay 10x more special. We’ll definitely be back!

The resort is good. Not much to complain about. What really made our vacation memorable was the employee's The evening Lobby Bar staff will forever have a place in my families heart! Hector, Francis, Mario,Tomas were extremely nice! We looked forward to our nightly night cap the lobby bar every night. From helping with me improve my spanish to playing high five with my son we felt at home! We have been to this resort 4 times in the last 2.5 years. We were always very satisfied with the food. We always book a swim up room in building 17 as we love morning sun. And we get it until about 2:00pm. The reason we come is for the service, staff and entertainment. The service/staff at the bars has always been amazing. The last two times we were here Juan Carlos, Naomi and Francis at the pool on the El Beso side have been nothing but amazing. As soon as your beverage is empty they already have another one ready for you. While we were there the main entertainment staff on the El Beso side were Deivi and Emmanuel. Always doing what they can to rally people to participate in the activity. They were very full of personality and charisma, always making the games and entertainment fun and exciting. Will definitely come back many more time!

This Hotel was beautiful very friendly clean and tidy, we stayed at this Hotel on the 26th September 2025 till 10th October 2025. Everything was walking distance to either the dining rooms or the pools which was good for me as l have a heart condition but there was transport if we needed it. The rooms were very clean tidy fridge stocked up which was lovely, we had a swim up room which was great. Our concierge young man named Angel he was fantastic he texted us every morning to ask if we needed anything and if we did he would sort it for us. The cleaning ladies were very nice and kept our room great , the food was great the only criticism we have is sometimes it was only warm but other than that there was plenty of food to choose from. We are planning to come back again next year 2026 it was so relaxing Thank you , yours sincerely Mr & Mrs Julie and Anthony Grinnell.

The Ocean El Beso is a great resort the rooms are beautiful and clean. There are many bars and restaurants though it is very difficult to get a dinner reservation. The process needs to be improved. The experience team is fantastic including Shaggy, Enrique, Emmanuel, Banana they made the stay so fun! The show at night were fantastic. Service was really great as well.

Came here with my family for a few days. We've been to many resorts in Punta Cana and will probably never come back here. The beach and pools are nice, however, the food and customer service was awful. The first night my husband and I slept on a urine smelling bed. We did not realize the bed was urine stained until we had slept in the bed. When we got up in the morning, my husband's shirt smelled so bad that we had to throw it out. My husband immediately went to the front desk to complain and, instead of changing our room immediately, we had to return to the front desk 3 more times and they did not move us until 430pm later that day, which meant we couldn't use the room the entire day (not to mention, they moved us to the same type of room instead of some kind of upgrade, which you'd expect from a hotel with decent service). Additionally, they moved us to a room that was not even fully cleaned (the floor was filthy, it had no towels and no water in the fridge). I could have forgiven the room problem, however, our stay did not improve. The hotel was obviously not full and it was clear from the very beginning that they sacrificed food quality since this is their off season. First, their main buffet was closed every single night, which made food options very limited. They had a smaller buffet open, but the food there was not great and they had very few options (they didn't even have a full salad bar - they basically offered lettuce and dressing). Although their website highlights how many restaurants they have, only half of them were open each night. Of the ones that were open, about half of those required reservations, which filled up by 8:05am. Further, because we had our daughter with us, we were limited in the restaurants we could go to. One night, we tried to go to Route 66 (the one restaurant we could go to that night without a reservation) for milkshakes and were turned away. We arrived at the restaurant at 9:23pm and the hostess told us it was closed, even though the app and posted sign said it was open until 10pm. When we pointed this out, she claimed the restaurant was full even though there were empty tables. She then told us to come back at 11pm when they "reopened" with their late night menu (which was different than their regular menu) even though we obviously had our young child with us. We ended up going back to the room. My husband and I then tried to order room service at 10:10pm because they advertised room service as being available until 11pm. However, when we tried to order, the app told us the service was unavailable. Overall, not worth the price or the hour drive from the airport. Go somewhere else with decent customer service

Our 7th Majestic Stay — Once Again, an Extraordinary Experience! For this trip, we stayed at the Majestic Mirage Punta Cana, in the Mirage Club (adults-only section), and we were absolutely delighted with our choice. The management team stood out for their professionalism and attentiveness — they were always available, responsive, and proactive in ensuring our comfort. The resort itself is stunning, featuring lush landscaping and five beautiful pools (four adults-only and one family pool). The food was outstanding, especially in the à la carte restaurants. I strongly recommend choosing the Mirage Club upgrade, which comes with many wonderful perks such as à la carte breakfast and lunch in exclusive venues and the personalized service of a dedicated butler. We had the pleasure of being looked after by Francesca, who was simply amazing — she took care of us as if we were family, always checking in to make sure everything was perfect. We also want to give special recognition to the lobby bar team — Juan, Joel, and Cesar truly made our week unforgettable with their humor, energy, and top-tier service. There was also a fantastic mixologist (whose name, unfortunately, escapes me) who crafted some of the best cocktails we’ve ever tasted! And of course, Charly, the bartender at the Mirage Club pool bar, was equally wonderful — attentive, friendly, and fun. In short, this was a remarkable week filled with beautiful moments, thoughtful touches, delicious food, and passionate employees. The Majestic Mirage Punta Cana fully lived up to the Majestic reputation, and we can’t wait to return for our next vacation!

Our stay at the Majestic Mirage Resort in Punta Cana was absolutely incredible, thanks to Manuel, the entertainment director! Every day and night was filled with laughter, energy, and excitement. He was incredibly funny, engaging, and interactive, making sure everyone felt included — from poolside games to the amazing evening shows. We especially enjoyed the couples show, which had us laughing nonstop! You can truly see how much passion and joy Manuel brings to his work. He made our vacation unforgettable!

We were looking to get away for some sun and relaxation. We started looking at different areas and some friends have visited Punta Cana in the past and just recently. This would be our first time in Punta Cana and all inclusive. So, the research began. Looking for something all inclusive and adults only. After looking at different resorts, reviews and even YouTube videos. Majestic Mirage stood out among the rest. So booked it. We booked a 9 day stay from September 30th. When we arrived at the resort where we were overly impressed just from the massive and beautiful lobby. Check-in was a breeze and then we were taken to our room by a butler! When we arrived to our room, once again ,taken away from the size and beautiful room that was ours for our stay. King size bed, 2 bathrooms, stand up tub, separate shower, 2 TVs ..... crazy! We also had a swim up room which was amazing. Pool right outside our room, lounge charirs, swim up bars, lounging coverded beds, etc...Everyday was full of sunshine and beautiful weather. Beach was gorgeous and clean clear waters. The whole resort was nicely laid out and every area was beautiful and nice detail. Restaurants and food was good. Staff were very friendly. Our Butler, Eduardo was A1 and always went out of his way. Anna Marie, one of the hostesses of the Restaurants was always smiling and greeted us like family. It's a great place for couples who just need to get away and relax and be pampered but even great for families as they have a lot of things going on. They also have an APP to inform you about day to day events, restaurant menus, etc.. We highly recommend this resort as we will definitely be coming back here! Enjoy

This was my second time staying at Majestic Mirage Punta Cana, and I can confidently say it’s the best resort in the area. I came with my family, and we had an amazing experience from start to finish. The resort is beautiful, spotless, and incredibly well-maintained. The rooms are spacious and luxurious, and the food is absolutely delicious with plenty of great options for everyone. What really makes this place special is the staff. Amil Maleck and Assistant Manager Elena Alvarez were outstanding—so welcoming, professional, and accommodating in every way. In the restaurants, we received exceptional service from Raul, and especially from Luis, who went above and beyond to make every meal perfect. Our butler Jeffrey was also amazing—super kind, respectful, and always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. Every member of the team here treats you like family, and that’s what keeps us coming back. Thank you to everyone at Majestic Mirage for another unforgettable vacation. We’ll definitely be back!

My first time in the Dominican Republic and I can’t wait to be back! My partner and I came here to celebrate our anniversary and it was so amazing. The resort was clean, everyone was so kind and greeted us in EVERY passing, and the food was so good (with so many choices - we made it a point to try all the restaurants). I loooved the spa services - my partner and I did a couples beach-side massage and the couples spa package. My partner played golf 3 times; he absolutely loved the course. We also had a great time at the casino and Coco’s Disco! On that note, you have to try Mama Juana. It’s a unique drink from the DR that definitely does its job LOL. ALSO - something special I’ve never actually experienced before was having a butler! Our butler, Alvaro, was sooo kind, so attentive, and always made sure we had everything we needed/wanted, even if he had to do it himself. He also knew of our excursions outside the hotel and made sure we had everything we needed for them (towels, transport, etc.). When I had to cancel a spa treatment for feeling unwell (it was a hangover headache lol), he made certain I was okay (asking if I’ve taken medication for it, asking if I needed anything, asking how I was feeling after). Alvaro was absolutely amazing; if I could give him 10 stars, I would. We would definitely love to come back!

This is our second time here at majestic mirage. I’m currently sitting in the plaza enjoying some saxophone music and champagne. The staff here is amazing. The entertainment was spectacular, we specifically enjoyed the circus show. The entertainment staff was hilarious, super hard working bunch. The rooms were beautiful and clean. The food in very very good. I simply can’t say enough about our stay, come here

We had an absolutely amazing stay at Majestic Mirage. Everyone was so kind. Our Butler Mayquel made sure to keep us up to date on daily activities and see if there was anything we needed him to help with. The resort is so beautiful, the entertainment was great, the drinks even better. The food was good, our favorite was the habachi Japanese restaurant, as well as the sports bar for basic American style comfort foods like burgers and wings and amazing breakfast. We weren't big fans of the buffet, but we're also from Southern Louisiana so we're use to seasoned food back home 😂 So if you're from the US bring some Tony's chachere seasoning lol We are already planning another trip next year.

I had an absolutely incredible stay at this resort! From the moment I arrived, everything was seamless—beautiful surroundings, immaculate rooms, and top-tier service. The entire staff was friendly and attentive, but I have to give a special shoutout to Charley. Charley went above and beyond to make sure our experience was perfect. Whether it was offering great local recommendations, helping us get set up for activities, or just checking in with a warm smile, Charley’s hospitality truly stood out and made our stay unforgettable. I can’t recommend this resort enough, and I’ll definitely be coming back!

Best resort ever!!! Elian and Arizmendy are the best! Rooms were perfect and service is outstanding! Food was not to my liking. Not bad just not my style of food! Be careful when you book adventures! You can get really scammed. Use your butler for all wants and needs. Again Arizmendy was very hospitable. Charlie was a great at his entertainment and keeps you very informed and personable (he knew us by name) the swim up bar is the best victor martinez, Louis and Oscar were great and there is a young lady (la ruvia) she was my buddy and was so good at her job! The over all stay has been great, the food the service and the hotel. Previously I’ve been to all inclusive resorts and have something to compare it to. One thing they can improve on is the attentiveness of the staff, the only person who really cared about my wife and our drinks was Charly. Charly is attentive to everyone and checks up on everyone to make sure they are well.

Everyone was so nice but special thanks to Arismendy for being the best butler anyone could ask for, and Charlie was the best activity director ever. Charlie was always making sure everyone was enjoying themselves. They both made my stay so enjoyable. This resort definitely aims to please. The resort was very clean. The food had its ups and downs. There were dishes that were outstanding and some not so much, but I would say this is the only takeaway. I definitely recommend staying at TRS Cap Cana. Loved my swim up suite.

Worst resort experience in Punta Cana – avoid if you value customer service and cleanliness. We stayed at Vista Sol Punta Cana from July 31 to August 5, 2025, and I can honestly say it was the worst experience I’ve had in the DR — and I’ve been here dozens of times. We were misled about a dinner reservation, made to wait 2 hours, only to be told “go eat at the buffet” with no apology. A security guard falsely accused my family of stealing a beach bag without even asking questions — yelling in front of other guests. Turns out my daughter had accidentally brought the wrong bag to our room. We returned it immediately, but the damage was done. The staff (not all, but most) were rude, unhelpful, and acted like guests were a burden — until a supervisor was nearby. And to top it off, there were cockroaches near our room — I even took pictures because I couldn’t believe it. I brought friends from Jamaica to show off my home country, and instead, they left with a bad impression. That’s what hurts the most. Not asking for anything — just warning others. This resort needs serious changes in staff training, hospitality, and hygiene.

The roomd are outdated and Wifi is poor in room. The rooms are not air conditioned. The room was reading 25.5 all day and front desk stated that was as low it gets. The store is insane price wise! such as phone charger $93 US. Pool is ok the beach is confusing as many resorts use the same stretch of sand. The drinks are too sweet so stick to beer. Limited English spoke so be prepared for that. The place gardens are well maintained and ducks and peacocks roam the property.

My friend and I visited July 2025. I must say we had an amazing time and will definitely return. The check-in was a bit of a wait and then we were given rooms on the 3rd floor but at the time the elevator was not working. After declining that room they happily switched us to the 1st floor. Our room (1103) was beautiful but quite muggy smelling which after a couple of days with the balcony open and AC off it mostly went away. The food was amazing with lots of variety! The staff were friendly and helpful. I can’t remember all their names but Darlin and Miguel at the beach bar was always so happy, dancing while serving up the drinks even in that heat. The night entertainment was very good all week! There was some seaweed, which they worked diligently to clean up, but one cannot control mother nature so we just made the best of it!

Fantastic hotel where the staff go above and beyond to provide the very best experience for their guests. The pool’s are impressive, well-maintained and clean. The food is one of the best I’ve ever had at an all-inclusive resort, and I’ve travelled to a fair few over the years. Whether it’s the open buffet or the many choices of restaurants - it’s all superb.

Overall I would only give 4 star to this hotel. The hotel is old and they definitely should renovate it soon. Even they tried their best to clean the room, But it still old, with some mouldy smell. There's no ac everywhere, only in your room and two of the special restaurant. Be ready to get super sweat when eating. The pool was super dirty, cloudy water and it looks like swimming inside milk. Also have to mention they have party every night till very late, you can hear the base noise I'm the room, family with kid who sleep early should avoid this hotel. Staff in this hotel barely speak English. Lots of language barrier when you try to request something or communicate with them. Last But not least, food are terrible.

We worked with a travel agent who booked us this resort for our honeymoon and it was definitely a let down. We were promised a white sand beach with crystal blue water, but instead were welcomed with mountains of rotting seaweed(pics included), a smell we couldn’t get away from. We were also told there would numerous free water activities offered on the resort such as snorkeling and paddle-boarding, which was also not true. The employees at the reception desk were extremely rude and unhelpful. Our shower head in our room was broken, they “repaired” it only for it to break again the next morning. Guest services then promised us a complimentary gift for our trouble which never came. We ended up booking an earlier flight home. Some of the positives were the wait staff at the restaurants were friendly and the pools were clean. The teppanyaki was actually good but the other food was rather awful. Also, you only are allowed to reserve spots in restaurants 4 times in a week (something they do not tell you). If you do not eat at a restaurant you are stuck with the buffet which was disgusting. Would not recommend.

Vista Sol as I write this, I'm waiting in the lobby for my taxi, right now. Kudos to the hotel, the wonderful food, the staff and of course the management. The food is so good and varied that I gained 2kg. All compliments. I will come again. Thank you for a wonderful vacation Vista Sol.

My spouse and I ate at the Italian restaurant and received tremendous service from Frandy 😄. He was well groomed and polite and service was on time .Wine kept coming, and the happy service was ongoing. Thank you Frandy for a great experience. The resort itself is beautiful — the beach is clean, the bars are enjoyable, and there are fun extras like the little arcade, shopping center, and casino. The property has a lot of potential, and the location is very good. Unfortunately, my overall experience was mixed. We were placed right next to a construction site, which meant early morning wake-ups to the sound of drilling. That definitely affected the relaxation I was hoping for. The biggest issue, however, was the service in the dining areas. On our first day, service was excellent — we were seated, offered water immediately, and even asked if we wanted wine or drinks. Sadly, that was the last time the service felt that attentive. Most of the time, it felt as if younger guests (like us) were overlooked. We often had to stand up and ask for drinks ourselves, while older guests at nearby tables received table service without hesitation. At one point, I asked for orange juice and was told to get it myself, even though guests at the next table (who looked 35–45) had it brought to them right away. It created an uncomfortable feeling — almost as if we weren’t taken seriously because of our age (I’m 25). I also noticed other young couples facing the same issue. Meanwhile, some staff members seemed disengaged, sometimes standing around or joking with each other instead of serving guests. There were also smaller frustrations: one time, as I left the buffet, a staff member let the net door fall directly in my face while holding hands with another employee who walked through. Moments like this made the service feel unprofessional. To end on a positive note, the hotel location is great, the beach is wonderful, and the overall atmosphere is enjoyable. But service in the dining areas — especially consistency and fairness — really needs improvement. With better training and a more respectful approach to all guests, this resort could easily be excellent

Five stars for the fantastic bartender Hector! Great drinks, even better service. He expertly broke the ice and introduced us to some guys from another country, which made our stay so much fun. We literally came for drinks and left with new friends. Highly recommend thanks to him!

Overall, the stay was great. The food was absolutely amazing. The room was very nice but there was a large gap in the balcony door which let in many bugs. The a la carte restaurants were good; the Spanish tapas restaurant was the best. The alcohol is not top shelf which was a bit of a let down, but most of the drinks were good. The flavored drinks made my stomach hurt, though, so I’d stick to more basic cocktails. The views on the resort were amazing and I especially liked all of the cute photo ops. The beach was fine, not too much seaweed but lots of rocks. The one, somewhat major, downside is the amount of vendors. It is ridiculous how many people come up to you to sell things—and not just on the beach. They set up tables right in the middle of the resort near the lobby. I really didn’t like being bombarded with sellers.

Came to Catalonia Bávaro for my son’s 21st birthday. Nothing but great things to say! From Hector and Christopher at the bar to Martina at the buffet! And so many more we are missing. Great staff throughout! The best customer service, drinks and food. I highly recommend!

We had an amazing stay at Serenade All Suites Punta Cana! The resort is stunning, the rooms are modern and spotless, the pools are beautiful, and the food was fantastic across all the restaurants. The staff really make the experience though, everyone was so friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. A special mention to Shark from the entertainment team, he absolutely made our trip! Always full of energy, fun, and genuinely cared that everyone was having a great time. Whether it was poolside games, evening shows, or just chatting with guests, Shark brought the place to life. Can’t recommend Serenade All Suites enough

Would highly recommend staying at the Serenade Adults Only when visiting Punta Cana. It was extremely safe, friendly staff and super spacious rooms. The ocean views were also amazing as we had a balcony view. They also had great entertainment - Chola is so lively and inclusive. She really made my friend and I feel comfortable and was very hospitable. Her energy was also immaculate! Will definitely be coming back🥰

Five stars is not enough for this resort. They went above and beyond to make my daughter's b day and our stay amazing. Luxury and beyond from the beautiful rooms, breath taking views and the top notch food. The entertainment was unforgettable and the staff omg the staff was the absolute best part of the entire stay! The resort was great. Some feedback ; Not sure if it was situational or a known issue but the entire weeks stay, the washrooms at the pool bar had sewer gas smells so bad I would walk to the lobby to the washrooms there. Our room fridge and snack refresh only happened about half the time but we could easily get snacks and drinks in the lobby bar and coffee shop. We stayed on the adult side but having access to the family side added options and activities.

Shark , Chola and Jefry from entertainment team made it an amazing time !!!! Food gets repetitive as it does with all all- inclusive resort but all the restaurants were good ! We did go off the resort a few times to switch up the food. The drinks were great! And bartenders were fun and nice. Go to koi sushi and the steakhouse for sure. 10/10z You’re allowed to make one reservation per day so other than that just go to the buffet at breakfast or dinner. Las palapas is open during lunch Tipping obviously makes people nicer so remember that lol

I love the amenities at the hotel. I came on a solo trip to relax and it was a very nice and clean environment. The entertainment during the day was fun and at night. The entertainer during the day, Chola😘🥰🥰, was fun and vibrant and made sure everyone had a good time. Thanks for an amazing stay!

So good hotel, and the service is very good, the entertainment is very fun and if you win, then you win some rum😍. Shark and chola are very nice and sweet, and very fun! They bring the energy high and puts a great smile on me and my boyfriends face. But we had some trouble with the room. The hairdryer doesn’t work, there was a pool of water under the toielt and under the sink every day 24/7 and the mirror light didn’t work, we complained about it 3 times and they havent fixed it yet and it has been 3 days now☹️ it’s a bit a disapoinment but i am having a fun time and relaxing so it’s all worth it in the end☺️

Recently stayed here for our honeymoon we stayed in the premium JR luxury suite. Which offered a jet bathtub on the balcony which was gorgeous for sunrise soaking which we did on at least three occasions. This room was plenty for us it offered a closet and a bathroom along with a king sized bed. The pools were great and there were many to chose from, staff would come around offering drinks or clean towels while you relaxed. One day they even served pina coladas out of pineapples! The food was equally good we tried all the different restaurants with our favorite being the WOK! This is a formal restaurant so dress code and reservations are required but it was worth it. Portions were large sometimes we could not even finish all the food. Would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a comfortable environment. We can’t talk much about the nightlife as we are early risers (hence the sunrise) but while talking to other I did hear there’s a nightclub which offered karaoke and dancing sometimes shows. We did managed to catch the circus show and that was incredible! Very talented performance.

Overall experience was very underwhelming when compared to other all inclusive we have been to. The room was nice but needed some updates because the furniture was chipped and old. We stayed in the castle section and thought it would be nicer but it seemed like we were just further away from everything. The activities got cancelled and were a bit sad. The pool was very cold and didn't seem clean. The food was alright but nothing of value was really offered unless you paid extra money. The other resorts we stayed at offered good cuts of steak, lobster, and more...The staff were generally nice. People were right when they said the beach was small. You could probably only fit 30 people comfortably.

We just returned from the most incredible stay at this resort, and I honestly don’t understand all the recent negative reviews — they almost made me cancel, and I’m SO glad I didn’t! From start to finish, everything exceeded my expectations. A huge part of what made our trip unforgettable was our butler, Camacho. He went above and beyond every single day — anticipating our needs before we even asked, and making sure we felt truly cared for. His warm personality and attention to detail made our vacation feel personal and luxurious. He made dinner reservations for us at the Italian and Asian restaurants before we even arrived. The pizza in Sanctuary town was awesome, don’t miss it. The breakfast and lunch buffets had tons to choose from. The property itself was beautiful, spotless, and relaxing. We had an Ocean Review Swim up junior suite in the castle. We spent one day at our castle swim up pool and didn’t see anyone the whole day, we had the pool to ourselves. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and eager to help. Food, drinks, amenities — all top notch. The one con for me was that the steakhouse was not impressive, I would skip it if we went again. Don’t let the recent complaints scare you off — if my experience is anything to go by, you’ll be just as impressed as I was.

Vacationed here for our honeymoon and we have all wonderful things to say. Joan, our butler was one of a kind and such a nice guy. The staff was always friendly, attentive and greeted us when passing by. We loved the restaurants - especially the Wok and the Cappriccio Italian. We got a couples massage with some spa time and it was absolutely lovely. We were there 6 nights and got to almost all the restaurants except sushi and pizza! We loved going to the coffee bar in the morning for Frappuccinos and then the pool each day - there were always fun activities going on as well. The seaweed did not bother us at all, plus there was a public beach next door. We’re so grateful for such an amazing honeymoon!

My husband and I went to Sanctuary on our honeymoon. Overall, we had a good experience, but there were a few things that we were disappointed with. We had never been to an all-inclusive resort before this trip, so we were hopeful that this one would live up to the hype we had heard so much about. The best thing about this resort is truly the staff. They were always kind and eager to help us in any way they could. Shoutout to Antonio with activities for being so fun and keeping the energy up by the pool during water gym! The service here was truly excellent. The grounds of the resort are absolutely stunning and very well maintained. We constantly saw staff making sure that high traffic areas were picture perfect. Another great aspect of the resort is Sanctuary Town. We found that it was our favorite aspect of the resort, and some of the best dining as well! We ate at least 5 or 6 pizzas over the week- they were out of this world! We also enjoyed the burgers and ice cream there as well. Our room was in building 1, and we were on the first floor. Our view was incredible; however, our room looked like it needed some TLC. While very spacious, it looked run down and like it was in need of some extra cleaning as well. There was red lipstick on the bathroom mirror, the shower would leak when the room above us was using theirs (it even shut off completely once when the person above us turned theirs off), and it looked like nothing had been dusted. This is definitely a chill, calm resort, which is exactly what we wanted. It was not crowded during our visit, and we never had to fight for a chair or umbrella at the pool. The beach was not available for use during our stay other than sitting in the sand, and there was caution tape marking off the shore, but this was not a deal breaker for us. One of the biggest frustrations we had was the restaurants' schedules. The app would say the hours were one thing, while in actuality, it would be something different. We tried to eat at the steakhouse one night because the app said it was open, but when we arrived, it was closed. The staff didn't have an explanation, so it seems to be something that is out of there control. We never got to eat there even though we were there for a whole week. The Italian restaurant was just okay, as was Blue Marlin for dinner. Wok was our favorite of the sit down places we tried. The breakfast buffet was good, but got to be a bit repetitive since the same exact things were being served each day (at the time of our trip, the buffet was set up at Blue Marlin and not at its usual location). The food was very hit or miss. If some of these issues were resolved, we would love to return, but if we plan to visit the area again, we would probably consider a different resort before coming back.

We visited Sanctuary Cap Cana during a tropical storm, and while the weather was obviously out of the hotel’s control, the resort was completely unprepared to handle it. The biggest issue? It was boring. There was absolutely nothing to do. Thankfully, we had books with us because the resort offered very little to keep guests entertained. The entertainment staff did their very best with what they had, but management should have had a proper plan in place for bad weather; that’s what hospitality is about. Instead, the only “activities” offered were a few small workshops and some card or board games. I didn’t spend thousands of dollars to play UNO. There should have been classes, interactive sessions, or activities every hour or two to keep guests engaged instead of everyone doom scrolling on their phones. This is management’s fault, not the entertainers’, because as I said, they genuinely tried their best. The food at the restaurants was average at best, even at the ones requiring reservations. There’s also no real beach, just a small area with some sand. The resort is secluded, so you can’t easily leave to explore nearby areas. There was no lively music, no dancing, and absolutely no Caribbean vibe. The atmosphere felt lifeless. The staff was hit or miss, which was surprising since Dominicans are usually such happy, vibrant people. It makes me wonder if something in management is affecting employee morale. To be fair, the room was nice, although there are noticeable issues with the finishing details. The grounds and architecture, however, are beautiful. We were celebrating a birthday, and the hotel kindly left a dessert and a bottle of champagne in our room . But would I come back? Not a chance. Even considering the storm, the hotel could have done so much more to keep guests entertained and comfortable. If you’re looking for fun, energy, and that real Caribbean spirit, go to a resort in Bávaro , they know how to create an experience. Sanctuary Cap Cana is better suited for older couples or anyone looking to simply relax quietly and do nothing. Also, the hotel is definitely not what I would consider luxury. And for the love of God, please change the smoke detector battery in the women’s lobby bathroom , it beeped for our entire stay.

This place would be great if it didn't cost $600 a night (off season). For the price I expected better rooms, pools, food, and service. The rooms were old but clean. The pools were very cold and seemed a bit old. The service was okay depending on who you got. The people are nice but some people looked like they hated being there. The food was pretty bad for the price of the hotel. The hotel overall seems to limit everything you do so that they can make the most money. Restaurants and activities were closed and cancelled. Oh and if you want room service it's a $10usd fee for "delivery" each time. I just felt like everything was to shake our pockets for more. ALSO they were doing maintenance pretty loudly at around 7am... drilling and knocking..you name it!

Best vacation ever! The food was delicious, and the service was great. Victor at the Italian restaurant made us feel at home. The tender loin was delicious and juicy. I’m not a big fan of pepper, so he swapped the sauce for a demi-glace. At the breakfast buffet, Julio was very attentive as well. He was our server most of the mornings. The spa is highly recommended. My wife and I had an hour massage that made us feel very relaxed. And Jennifer was the lady in charge of our room. We always had clean towels, and the mini bar was always filled.

So many good things to say about this resort! The staff was top notch - every single person was friendly and smiling. It feels like they love their jobs and that made a big difference to the quality of our vacation. The grounds are impeccable, clean and very lush and tropical! The beach sand was like powder! The pools are absolutely gorgeous with a nice lazy river which winds throughout the resort. Really beautiful I had a spa treatment - a massage and hydrotherapy which I highly recommend! The masseuse did a wonderful job! You will not be disappointed in this resort. Go for it!

The drive from the airport to the hotel took about 24 minutes. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a glass of champagne — a nice touch after the journey. Check-in took roughly 20 minutes. Although our rooms weren’t ready right away, the staff invited us to enjoy lunch in the meantime. Rooms: The rooms are well-appointed, modern, and comfortable. The beds were cozy, and we were pleasantly upgraded to a Preferred Club Junior Oceanview Suite through our Express Group booking. The balcony featured a modern soaking tub with a stunning ocean view. The mini fridge was well stocked, and I loved the bathroom’s motion-sensor lighting at night — a thoughtful detail. Amenities: There’s plenty to do throughout the day — gym, spa, multiple pools (including a lazy river), a bowling alley, tennis courts, a zipline area, and a well-equipped kids’ club. Every evening offered entertainment options like DJs, live shows, and outdoor movies. Dining: The resort has several restaurants (7), including Italian, Seafood, Japanese, and Buffet options, plus an ice cream and coffee shop. No reservations are required — it’s first come, first served. I found the specialty restaurant food average (about 5/10), while the World Café Buffet had much better quality and a wider variety. Overall: Dreams Macao is a huge, clean, modern, and well-maintained property with beautiful landscaping and good customer service — staff responded quickly to any requests and occasionally run into staff members who did not speak English. It’s a great choice for couples, families, or groups looking to relax or even host an event. Would definately book it again. Note - they are building a new hotel next door (Secrets Resort) so make sure you get a room away from the construction.

I visited this hotel with my daughter and friends. We were here for a total of 8 days. According to the reviews, I had high expectations from the hotel complex. And how did it all turn out? The welcome and reception were absolutely fine. Everything turned out as it should. As for the room, it was always tidy, but some parts needed to be repaired. For example, bubbles in the wood from the table, the air conditioning was growling at higher speeds. Sometimes damaged plaster. But in general I can say that the room was not top, but it was good. What disappointed me in the room was the minibar. I had to insist every day that the minibar be replenished. And it even happened to me that beer was stolen from the minibar. I know, because I don't drink beer 😊. I reported all these issues to the reception. Unfortunately, I did not receive any feedback. The beach, pools and water slide were very well prepared and I have no complaints. The food and drinks were very good, but not the best. The main restaurant was great and probably the best. The other restaurants were disappointing for us. Mainly Asian, Italian. These restaurants simply can't do it. The seafood restaurant is also very good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. What we didn't like at all was that if you wanted to sleep, you simply couldn't. The music throughout the area played long into the night, even at 11 pm. That's a big mistake. In general, I rate this hotel at 80%. And I would focus on the volume of entertainment at night, repairs to details in the rooms, and I would probably cancel the restaurants that can't do it. I would definitely return to the hotel.

We just finished an unforgettable family vacation at Dreams Macao Beach, and we can't recommend it highly enough! Our stay in a two-bedroom villa with a private pool was perfect for our family of six, as there are two private bedrooms with their own bathroom and a very large common area for our family. The resort is packed with fun activities for the kids! They absolutely loved the lazy river and water slides, and the arcade kept them entertained after the pool and beach and we always ended our night with a competitive game of bowling. The kids' area was a fantastic bonus, allowing our kids to make new friends while we relaxed. Nightly entertainment was a highlight for both kids and adults, with something fun happening every evening. The had painting, live bands, DJs and a magic show while we were there. The food at the resort was outstanding, with a special shout-out to the French restaurant, which was our favorite, and a close second going to the hibachi restaurant. Each meal was great, offering a variety of delicious options. One of our favorite features was the Bali beds we reserved on the beach and by the pool. It was a way to set up camp for the day, allowing us to do a variety of different things, splitting up and always having a common area to come back too. Lastly, we decided to get a butler as we did the preferred club. If you decide to go this route, I would highly recommend Domingo as he is on top of everything and will cater to your every need. Overall, our experience at Dreams Macao Beach was fabulous, and we can't wait to return. I

Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana — Huge Disappointment for $1500 a Person Just about to leave back tomorrow from a 5-night stay (Oct 1–6), and honestly, this resort is a huge letdown. The place looks beautiful and the staff are friendly, but that’s where the positives end. Let’s start with the food — out of all the restaurants, only Bordeaux and Himitsu had decent meals. The rest were bland or just plain bad. Most nights, only a couple of restaurants were even open, so you don’t have many options anyway. The entertainment was awful — nothing compared to Riu resorts. The whole place felt dead, probably less than 500 guests total. For $1500 per person, we were bored out of our minds. The beach was terrible, full of rough waves so you can’t even swim. The main pool was nice, but that’s about it. Now the bar situation — a complete joke. They didn’t have Red Label the entire week, even though I asked every day. Magically, they had it only on our last night. Ordered beer from room service that same night and was told they ran out. What kind of resort runs out of beer? Bar staff were kind, but management clearly doesn’t care. They cut corners everywhere. The lobby bar closes at 12am, but they stop serving at exactly 11:57pm — seriously? This place gave off the vibe of poor management just trying to save money wherever possible, even if it ruins the guest experience. In short: beautiful property, nice staff, horrible management. We came as a group of 8 adults and 2 babies, and all of us regret booking here. Dreams Macao ripped us off for $1500 each. We’ll never be back.

I just stayed here for an extended vacation and to attend the wedding. The resort is nice and most of the staff was great. There are a few things to mention though. First, air conditioning is non existent in just about every indoor location even bedrooms. When the air is turned all the way down it’s still blazing hot. Went to dinner at Bordeaux and I was literally stuck to the seat from sweat. Had dinner at the hibachi restaurant and it was the same. Second, I know the vendors on the beach are just trying to make money but the constant harassment to buy stuff while you’re just trying to relax is extremely annoying not to mention being chased by stray dogs on the beach. The food is also pretty mediocre. Some days the potatoes were so stale you couldn’t cut through them. There aren’t a lot of options for food during the day except the buffet or room service. I ordered room service and there were leaves in my salad. Also the app didn’t work and there are no digital keys.

I came here in Oct 1-8 for a tropical wedding and it was Fabulous and with many restaurants onsite not including their main buffet room. Family Friendly and couples retreat then this is the place. Check out many areas of pools and ocean views. I really recommend this place as it was well organized and entertainment for each day for all to join in and the escape to excursions trips was great as well. Morning sunrise for photos and evening walk thru many palm trees and tropical flowers blooming all around. You want all inclusive this brings it to another level.

I just spent 6 days at Dreams Flora Resort and Spa Punta Cana with family and friends. This is my second stay (I also stayed 7 days in June 2025 and love it so much that decided to spend my birthday here). This resort is outstanding. The staff is kind and serving facilities are well kept, clean (I am very particular about my cleaning and have no complains). The food is amazing and fresh. Despite being low season for them, the resort is function fully with services beyond expectations. It is well tailored to families with kids. My kids and their friends who joined us in the trip, all younger than 5 had the most amazing time. Special thanks to our buttler Nathan for being so kind and making sure we had everything we needed, to the beach bar guys who are always so content Alex, Boni, Jose, Melvin, the main pool guys Walter, Wayler, preferred pool Juan, Marino, Matylde Amayan, first pool Edwin and Elvyra, Jean Carlos, Fior at the lobby bar they are so lively and make the best drinks. At the restaurants we would love to thank Michael at the seaside grill, Cocodrilo and Evelyn at the main buffet, Bryan at breakfast, Marias at the buffet, and last Malciades and Joel who made our stay so perfect. The entertainment team is also AMAZING Stalin, Andres, Vanesa y Wilson. We are so beyond grateful!

My first all inclusive experience and I’m so glad it was here! Our group was my family(husband, toddler, self) and my in laws (MIL, FIL, BIL). The staff was incredible: Cindy and the other gals at the buffet nicknamed my son “Baby Shark” and they were so sweet to him each time they saw him. Edwin, Wander, and Wayler were the best bartenders at the swim up bars and they were so welcoming and remembered us each day! And of course Mr. Chocolate and Julio loved my husband and welcomed him and remembered him each time they saw him lol The rooms were beautiful and spacious, the food at the buffet was incredible (lunch was my favorite!), the pools were nice and so was the beach. The restaurants were good our favorites were the Seaside Grill, Mexican, and Italian! The spa experience was so fun and unique with the hydro treatment before the massage! I think that was my favorite part I almost wish we had done it again after the massage haha The water slides were all fun! My husband booked us the romantic dinner on the beach and the food was incredible and it was so intimate and romantic. I absolutely loved that. The only thing I didn’t love was the beach food spot, I wish there was more variety day over day. It was kind of cheesy and the ice cream machine was down each day or wasn’t being refreshed lol. The other thing I didn’t love was at night the patio light didn’t shut off and the curtains didn’t fully cover the window so it was pretty bright in the room at night. Another thing I would just suggest would be the option for wristband room keys versus just the card key. Overall, this was an incredible trip and I would absolutely recommend as your first time at an all inclusive it definitely set the tone for future trips!

First the pros: The pools and the beach were amazing, food was better than other Dreams resorts overall. Spa was very nice as well. Cons: the service was pretty bad. Servers all seemed like they didn’t want to be there, some workers were plain rude. Several people working the buffet and restaurant could not answer basic questions like, “what dish is that?” We were preferred guests but did not feel like it. Nothing special for 2 anniversaries in our group. They wanted us to download WhatsApp to communicate with our butler, which we were not able to do due to lack of cell service needed to sign up, so when we needed assistance we went to the preferred lounge for help and were told to no longer come there, but to get help through our butler, who we had no way of reaching. The drinks are sloppy across the board and not good, and obviously all watered down but that’s generally true for all the Dreams resorts and well known. We had 3 rooms that all had issues. Two with bad mosquitos, one with a bathroom door that would lock people in, one with a phone that didn’t work, and one where the a/c didn’t work. We were traveling with a baby, and at times my husband and I would have to take turns staying in our room while he slept. They would not let us bring food back to our room from the buffet or any other restaurant on the property, our only option was room service, which seems like a pointless rule that really interfered with our enjoyment. Definitely would not return, have had better experiences overall at other Dreams resorts.

I can’t say enough good things about this resort! This was my daughter’s and my first all-inclusive experience, and it was everything I hoped for—and more. The staff truly made our stay unforgettable. A huge shoutout to Matilda, who went above and beyond with her exceptional customer service—so personable, attentive, and kind. And Angelo, the bartender, was equally wonderful—always so pleasant and welcoming. Can’t wait to come back!

My friends & family were recently here for a wedding. The service & staff here are outstanding. It’s all-inclusive so you don’t need to leave the resort for anything, unless a trip to downtown to check out. I want to give a shout-out to: World Cafe - Merolyn & Natividad very accommodating & welcoming at the front. Sugar Reef bar - Edwin this man is on-point with bartending & service. the best!

Our stay had both positives and areas for improvement. Check-in was rather slow. We also felt the escort to our room was unnecessary and somewhat intrusive, as we had only backpack. Several team members were excellent. Liliander at the Rendezvous Lobby Bar provided attentive service and well-made drinks. Jeffry at The Mix Bar prepared outstanding cocktails with great care. Wander at the Sea Legs swim-up bar prepared very good cocktails and shots. At the World Café Buffet, Merolin greeted us warmly each day, and Wilton was a very attentive server. The Barracuda Bar needs improvement. Drinks often did not match the menu (some listed ingredients were missing), and a few arrived without the alcoholic component where it was expected. At times we did not feel welcome there, so we stopped visiting this bar. From the entertainment team, Stalin was kind, cheerful, and consistently professional. Special thanks as well to Tania. The entire entertainment team was great - everyone was friendly, energetic, and created a positive atmosphere throughout our stay. We would appreciate more smiles from the team overall. At the bars, making eye contact when taking an order and repeating the order back to the guest would help, as we received incorrect cocktails several times. Thank you to all the staff mentioned above for your professionalism, smiles, and warm attitude. P.S. The food was excellent.

The apartament was beautiful but we have no internet all the stay and no water for 24 hours every employee say they don’t know nothing so Funny they don’t know every apartment was with not water people have to take the pool water to flush the toilet 🤦🏼‍♀️ is not restaurant or any food or drink inside you have to drive to the supermarket to get some food thanks good we only rent for two night becouse was like a nightmare!!!

Great quiet hotel/airbnb. We went there after our stay at a resort, and it was a great transition before heading home.

Everything was excellent! The staff was amazing and attentive!! They were very accommodating.

The apartment was nice. Good size, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, full size kitchen and living room. Nice patio. Pool and private beach. My only complaint would be TERRIBLE WIFI and the pool wasn't deep. Not a complaint but suggestion, they should consider opening the store on property or the restaurant.

I visited the property while it was still part of the Radisson group and had a lovely all-inclusive vacation. I loved that the beach was not swarmed by sales-people and the pool was not crowded. The other guests we interacted with were lovely as well. The dining options were more limited than I had anticipated but the buffet was wonderful and the beach side bar was great. The activities were limited as well but our activity leaders were fun and welcoming.

Please, DO NOT BOOK a stay AT THIS RESORT. Consider yourself warned! If you go, you will have only yourself to blame. The pictures online are beautiful and the website post a lot of amenities and restaurants. There were no such cooking classes and the staff will tell you they know nothing about it (despite it being on the website). There is NO nighttime entertainment. Unless you consider the one night out of five, they provide entertainment (That was only because 2 bus loads of locals came for a few days) When they leave the food and selection will go back to bare basics. Forget the multiple restaurants posted on the website. One restaurant is open per night. You eat dinner at that one restaurant, or you do not eat dinner. The food selection was less than hot. Speaking of hot, I hope you like room temperature food. To Mr. Ignacio Rodríguez General Manager - None of this is new news to your staff. It was mentioned during our stay and we got the same response you just gave. You can put your money where your mouth is and refund 25% of our stay because it wasn't worth 100% of the $ we spent.

Absolutely amazing hotel, great staff, very welcoming ,a real sense of homeliness. Entertainment is very good and the food was beyond brilliant. The resort is spotless , the beach is clean. It was the best holiday I've been on and the best resort I've stayed in by a mile 10/10

The hotel is the best option facility-price. The room was big enough, the bed comfortable, clean, 1 minute walk to the beach. The bar and breakfast was top, staff friendly. Easy access to the street with other restaurants and shops on.

We needed a hotel to crash for the night. This was ok for a short stay, do not expect luxury as it is very outdated. The bed and pillows were very hard and the mattress made noise whenever you turned. The bathroom was outdated and there was a wet smell throughout the night.

Great hotel for the price. The location is excellent with a nice breakfast by the beach. The staff was very nice and friendly.

Our stay at Green Coast Beach Hotel was comfortable, clean, and safe. The Rooms are spacious and all the essentials are provided, including hot water (which is somewhat of a rarity in Dominican Republic). The Dominican breakfast was tasty, provided just steps from the water, and served by Jessy. Jessy always served us promptly and with a smile. We will definitely return to this hotel!

Pros: What makes this hotel great is the staff and how close it is to the beach. Cons: the hotel is very old, not recommended to stay here to be honest unless it's like a last minute thing. They have roaches, the doors and windows don't close well, there always light coming into the rooms and there's so much noise. you're better off on a resort. But If this is all you can afford then I guess this would be your place.

Keep low expectations, book 365 nearby if you can afford. Good selection and tasty food for breakfast. Coffee was pretty bad… Nice location, better use beach chairs from 365. What was disappointing: The double currency exchange on prices (accommodation and food). Even the price was listed in DOP (Dominican Pesos) they were converting it in USD and if I opted to pay with card it was converted back in Pesos but obviously higher… like what? 😅 Beds are small and not comfortable, staff is lazy … they became very diligent once a manager visited the location tho’ Amenities… completely absent. No hairdryer, no mugs, cups, water nor coffee. Hotel needs to be repaired, photos on Booking and Google not accurate. There are no rooms next to the sea… they have a restaurant with front beach view

This place looked old fashioned and was for older people so if u young and looking to party stay far away from here and its no beach or Ocean on site either!!!

On the occasional I've been there, very few people. Both good and bad I guess. For me, seeking quiet and calm environment it is perfect. And it is beautiful. And a few restaurants serving great food. A cigar shop too. Simply perfect!

Amazing resort! We had a beautiful view of the marina and our room was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The restaurants have amazing food and drinks and lots of choice on the menu! Always amazing service especially from Elvis as he always kept us entertained day and night, he is amazing!

This place is not quite ready for guests. They are trying to redo it and they are far from done. It looks like it will be great when they are done but not yet. Not all the restaurants are open, there's not much going on and the beach is not just a walk out the back of the resort. I would like to see it on about a year or so to see how it comes out.

Nice place, beautiful grounds but many restaurants and bars were closed and out of business. For the money I spent, it wasn’t worth it. I now know to come back to Bavaro Beach where I had everything to enjoy.

Beautiful location and lots of fun things to do! Heaven on Earth. The local market is way too expensive ($11 for ibuprofen) do yourself a favor and take a cab $3-5 to Aliss public market for cheaper prices. BUT before getting into the cab always ask for price upfront- some cab drivers will try to scam you if you can’t speak Spanish or if you don’t ask upfront (it’s the same in any country, even the US). Better yet, walk outside of the fishing lodge and call an Uber! Have lots of fun in this island paradise ☀️

Calm, serene, quiet and beautiful. Was so happy with my stay here. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the staff is friendly. It's close to most of the hot spots if you have a car. Highly recommend having a car while staying here so you can explore the area around it.

I had the opportunity to stay at this property for a long-term rental, and loved the layout and design of the complex, the expanse of unit space, the beautiful décor and luxurious amenities. Having an upper level unit allowed me to enjoy the beauty of both the sunrise and the sunset. I appreciated the indoor parking, the convenience of the elevators, taking long walks around the marina at sunrise and walking to the mini market, bars, restaurant and ice cream shop. This property offers a great value and I would highly recommend it.

The property was very nice. Sort of confusing when trying to locate the room numbers. Certain rooms don't have elevator access from the ground and you have to carry your luggage up a set of stairs. Make sure to bring extra towels for the owners don't offer but 1 bath towel.

When we got to the hotel the front desk said she couldn’t find our name. While checking she got it. They are of NO help. Under the bed is dusty. You have to flush the toilet about three times before the waste goes down. No shower curtain. We had to begged for one. Also no storage to pack your clothing. You have to buy your own clothes hangers.

Would be 5 stars but there are some issues here that should be easily fixed. First off, this is obviously a budget hotel. I'm not expecting anything luxurious. However, the 1st issue is with the arrangement and connectivity of the WiFi. They have the network split into 3 AP''s (all 3 w same pw) when it ought to be meshed. That way your device switches to the right one automatically. That being said, not one of those networks is strong enough to keep a consistent connection for basic web browsing. The gazebo area is high speed while the hotel rms are abominably slow. They close the gazebo at 8pm. People actually need to get work done. It wasn't like we were trying to watch video online. We couldn't even check email in a web browser. One room we were assigned (stayed in 3 diff ones) had no connection at all. Also the TVs all connect to the WiFi which decreases the bandwidth every time someone watches a silly show. The 2nd issue is w the AC. One room has a very weak unit. All rooms had holes in the walls or cracks in doors / windows making the cooling less efficient. Lastly, as others have said the sound from the neighboring clubs in those front rooms is brutal. It is louder in the room than on the street. Staff was very nice. Free breakfast a plus.

Misleading customers in my own experiences there. Room 101 water kept coming up the floor at all times. I put a towel at the bathroom door to prevent it getting into bedroom. It has closet but unusfull. It's not prepared to hang your clothes. TV has a message on screen asking to call the cable company to get fix??? There are restaurants right next door and the location allow you to get around. It's 20 minutes about walking distance to the closest beach. Very noisy at night because there are night clubs right next door in both sides of the hotel. It's cheap place to stay very short time 1 o 2 days. They have breakfast: half of egg sandwich with an sliced of cheese and ham plus drink.

First of all I want to say that this hotel is located at a completely different address! The location is not near the beach, but near the clubs, which is 2 km away from what is indicated on the booking site! Taxi driver spent a lot of time to find it and it was creepy at night. You can only get to the beach by cab. Because it takes half an hour to walk. Moreover, the road through the territory of the hotel with a closed area and have to bypass. Breakfast is given on coupons - one person - one egg. Girls who cook, extremely unfriendly, you can see that it is a burden for them to receive guests. All staff- zero English. Water is only cold and very weak pressure. You can bruise your butt on the mattress, and the pillow feels like a sack of potatoes. From 10pm until 3am you can't sleep because you will have to enjoy loud music from several nightclubs at the same time. The room is full of ants, and when it rains (which is every day), water flows not from the window, but directly from the wall all over the floor. Terrible walls, mold on the ceiling and everything is very dilapidated, like from the 1960s. The TV shows one channel in Spanish. The door opens with a regular key, looks very flimsy, no bolt to lock from the inside. At night we propped it up with a nightstand because it didn't feel safe. But there is a pool and the room is cheaper than all other hotels. But it's definitely not for family.

Before checking, I saw reviews of this Google maps and really worry about for staying here. But I’m totally satisfied with this hotel. The receptionist was very kind and very careful about our customer. The room was very clean. The restaurante is very closed to the hotel, so it was good.

Front hotel receptionist is in on getting Americans set up to be extorted for money. Be careful. I don't recommend this hotel for Americans to safely stay at. Stick to bigger name hotels and avoid these hole in the wall cheaper hotels. At the time of this review posting the female front receptionist is short, dark skinned, and is heavy set. I wasn't able to get her name because I didn't even stay a whole night.

Room was spacious but ac won't cool the room it's too small. They had free breakfast and restuarant outside the hotel. If you love to be surrounded by nightlife, and drinking without worrying about driving the place is perfect. No beach access too far. If you picky with rooms and hotel then this won't be your choice.

The price was reasonable good location for relaxing, not that much activity going on but we went out for the tour during day time and come back hang out in the pool in the evening. It’s no shop or store around to get some snack or little things we need. To get taxi we have to pay $30 atrip to get out from hotel.

Our experience was FAR from ideal. We arrived at the hotel only to find that our room was not even close to ready and from what we could surmise we were not really expected though our reservations were made 4 months in advance. They requested to see our passports and made us feel VERY unwelcome. They then suggested we visit the grill until our room was ready (THAT took 2 hours!) and when we finally got to our room we found it NOTHING like the pictures that we saw when we booked our Ocean Front Loft. Our room was NOT clean, the furniture was old and stained in many places and was broken and peeling in others. Our refrigerator contained “previously enjoyed” beverages from the guests who were there before us. And it was soooooo far away from the resort proper that we did not even have functioning lights in our walkways. When we spoke to the Front Desk to express our concerns we were told that they would make arrangements to have us moved... 9 more visits, sending of pictures to the manager, a leaking roof (which jolted us out of a sound sleep) and 2 1/2 Days (after a threatening call from our Travel Agent and the company she works through) we were FINALLY moved. I wish we could post pictures with this review so that you can FULLY appreciate how awful our accommodations were. And the way they made us feel was terrible. What an unpleasant experience this was as a whole and I would recommend you look elsewhere if you intend to enjoy the beautiful Dominican Republic

Not a real Hotel. This is a Condominium that has advertised the rooms as an hotel. Food is very limited, same breakfast everyday if you pick the room with breakfast included. Swimming Pool is very nice and they serve nice drinks. However, don't expect a fast service, and be prepared to explain yourself 3-4-5 times before ordering, and then returning the food because it wasn't what you asked for. Another thing, don't you ever go in August-September because the algae will not allow you to use the hotel beach.

DO NOT STAY HERE. Let me start off by saying, I’ve traveled to Cabo, Cancun, Costa Rica, Jamaica, Cayman Islands, etc. By far this is the worst resort I’ve ever stayed at. First, the room was decent, we had a jacuzzi/ocean view suite. However upon arrival they asked for a $200 deposit which was not mentioned during the reservation. When we told them we didn’t know anything about a deposit they quickly waved it. The toilet pressure was very weak. The toilet continued to back up on a daily basis. The complementary breakfast is a joke. You have one choice of a meal for breakfast, with no menus. Being we were the only people at the restaurant, it still took forever for the food to come out. The resort is very secluded and their were a total of 10 tourist on the whole resort. The beach front is covered in seaweed, so there’s no way you’d be able to lay out on the beach and enjoy it. They don’t Give you towels when you’re at the pool either. The taxi service is HORRIBLE, they try to rip you off every chance they can and they have special arrangements with the hotel to rip you off even more. They wanted to charge my boyfriend & I $80 to go to and from a restaurant that was about 15 mins away from the resort. Last but not least, MY PHONE WAS STOLEN by a member of the staff at the hotel and everybody in the hotel attempted to cover it up. We were told 3 different excuses by different people only to have the phone returned by security after I had to use my iPhone app to find my phone. This was one of thee worst, unpleasant traveling experiences I’ve had thus far. I’m warning you, the cost may be enticing but you are better off paying more to actually enjoy your stay.

My Husband and I got married here!!!😍😍 It was a small intimate affair, and we had a blast!!! Our room was beautiful as well as our guests who came! THE ALL INCLUSIVE STAY IS THE BEST WAY TO GO! We had about 20 guests so it's nice to have 3 meals a day and drinks! The staff were very friendly !! Gotta try the sweet tai chili wings at the pool bar they are yummy!!! It's a great getaway from the shuffles of life, but still close enough to the comforts of home as well (Applebees, Wendy's, Mall). This stay was our 2nd stay in the Dominican Republic and I absolutely love it!!! We will definitely be going again!!

I recently stayed there for a 4 days trip. The place is nice and clean. We had the honeymoon suite with a private jacuzzi. The view was very nice. Room service was inconsistant and also service in general is bad. We were out of drinking water and we called many times for room service and reception with no awnser. I ended up having to walk at night to go pick up water bottles from a guy that was giving me attitude telling me it was not free. (i never asked them to give them free of charge but at least pick up the phone). This being said, it is a nice place to go as a couple to relax but dont expect any luxury or preferred service.

Good value for money. Without the alternative for all inclusive. Nice rooms and very friendly staff. High marks for LG, Anibal and the chef who made best efforts for a comfortable stay. The room was very nice with a fully fuctional kitchen, washing machine and dryer. The drawback was a bit burled sheeta and that the service could be quicker.

The walls and floors are thin. You will hear every foot fall of your upstairs neighbors which is even worse when the upstairs neighbors have multiple small children. Constant banging. The area is very loud. We also had ants. The filtration on the pool is very poor. It was “cloudy” for most of our stay. You would never stay here if the beach were not here. The staff is generally friendly and helpful, though. The internet is spotty and the electricity blips out fairly often. I won’t stay here again.

Very close to the beach; perfect location and view. Loved the penthouse. The pools were fantastic and upkept. The rooms on the other floors were also decent and had great amenities. The custodians didn't come in to clean, but they will replenish your towels and toilet paper when needed if you contact management. This place was an oasis. Perfect for our trip!

This condo is a 3 star, at best. Very little drawer space. No tv in second bedroom. The pantry shelf collapsed with not a lot of weight on it. Bathroom fixtures rusting. Sink and tap needed repair and finally got it repaired after a few weeks. Bamboo blinds in kitchen broken. Loud partying in condos behind the unit. Loud destructive kids that took over the entire pool and destroyed floaties that belonged to the condo was intolerable. No parent supervision. 1 umbrella for shade….and that was basically falling apart. The bar by the pool was not used and run down. I could go on. The best thing about this place is the staff. Very friendly. Our condo owner was very responsive, but my father, who rented this place, was totally ripped off, price wise. We won’t be back.

It's pretty nice, and the area is great. Food in the front and mini market on the same street. Very important, it has a fridge, microwave, and all the amenities. We didn't need anything in our stay. The security is very good. The guy Munchy and Ramon are great and assist you with food, transportation, etc. Can't complain if you don't give 5 stars because the building needs some work and the bar the pool was closed. But a great place to stay.

Well, this was supposed to be a lovely place to celebrate a 50th birthday for my husband. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Driving in the area where it was labeled safe for walking, we certainly did not feel safe at all. Upon arrival to the condo, the front man/ guard was very friendly and helpful. The building felt older and a bit rundown. Then he hoisted luggage on his shoulder and began to climb 4 flights of stairs to the penthouse. We were not aware there were stairs and no elevator. Upon entering the condo all doors were open and it was hot, no A/c even turned on with guests expected to arrive for a visit. There were dead bugs, a lizard, a full trash can, no toilet paper, etc. The rooftop door squeaked so loud as it scraped the ground and wouldn't lock. After the gentleman gave us the tour of the condo and left we knew we were not staying there. The cheery pretty pictures online were definitely not what we encountered upon arrival. The condo was outdated and needed a lot of love. We were able to find an all inclusive about 5 minutes away that we booked and then took our luggage right back downstairs. We are pretty sure the taxi that was called for us was just a friend of the front guard who charged us 40.00 to go 5 minutes. Would not recommend this place. Lesson learned on our part and sad we were out all the money paid for it.

Pros: The penthouse apartment we are staying in is pretty nice and comfortable and the private pools on the roof are beautiful. Staff is awesome and help with any issues that arise right away. Restaurants in the area will deliver to your door. Cons: The beach that's walking distance is horrendous and dirty, you have to walk up 5 flights of stairs with all of your luggage, groceries, etc.(No elevators) The beach is not accessible from the resort so you have to go out into the street to reach it, even though I definitely do not recommend getting in that water, the area right outside of the front gates is really ghetto, lots of shady looking people trying to sell you excursions and other things, the pictures definitely do not match the description, very very misleading. We have been here for about 24 hours, and I have never wanted a vacation to end as quickly as I do now. Overall do not recommend. I would definitely try an all inclusive resort instead. Do not recommend and will never visit again. 3 stars because the apartment is nice, the 2 pools on the roof are beautiful, and the staff is very attentive but definitely not enough to make me want to come back. Steer clear unless you want to chill and relax at the apartment the whole vacation. Be very weary about booking an apartment here. Also online it shows as a 5 star hotel, definitely not a hotel and certainly nowhere near 5 stars.

This place was great!! It was like having the best of both worlds. It had the comfort of being home-like and the luxury of having resort-like features. Best of all was the price. This definitely felt like a home away from home. I would definitely recommend it and without a doubt choose it again for my next Punta Cana vacation stay.

I just moved to this complex and I love it. Maintenance cleans common areas every day. They even come into my yard, cut the grass and cleanup. Pool is clean, the club house is clean and ample.

So I’m giving this property 5 stars for the simple fact that you get entirely what you pay for. People who gave this property 1 or 2 stars review love to complain about anything and everything, be my guest and go pay 2-3x the price at a massive chain resort if you’re not content!! You will not find a bigger and cleaner villas than this one for the price per night. The pictures are exactly as presented throughout the entire property (no false representation). Sam the manager is wonderful and speaks English also. The vegetation is lovely. The pool is very big and clean. The breakfasts are delicious. The menu for supper varies and is delicious. The beach is down the walk path of the resort. There are 2 security guards who guard the resort 24hrs a day. I felt extremely safe during my entire stay. This place is a hidden gem. We loved our 9 days and 8 nights! Only negative thing, the hot tub was broken 😞

If I could leave zero stars I would. First let me say my husband I travel ALOT. Close to probably 60 countries between the both of us and this was hands down one of the worst places we stayed for several reasons. The room was nice and comfortable but the hot water only stays hot for maybe 5 minutes after that it’s luke warm at best. The food is only available at weird hours that aren’t posted absolutely anywhere and have a very limited menu. We kept having to leave to get food due to this. The location is very secluded it’s about 25 mins from Punta Cana city and we struggled getting an Uber to go anywhere because they kept saying we were too far. We requested a refund because we were wanting to just move to a resort closer to the city that had food more available and they refused to refund us. We had 1 meal here and it was mediocre at best. We were woken up very early 2 mornings in a row to people outside of our room talking and making a bunch of noise. The hot tub is broken. We were told the beach was wonderful so we walked down to beach and it was full of trash. We came because of all the wonderful reviews but now I’m convinced most of them are fake reviews. If you want to be very secluded with VERY limited food and things to do then this is for you but we will never return here. Bummed we are stuck here for the rest of the week.

This is the perfect place to avoid the Punta Cana tourism. With only 10 rooms, it’s peaceful and private allowing you to enjoy the amenities fully. Breakfasts are delicious and varied, with wonderful staff taking care of you. Rosa kept us happy and caffeinated! Sam and Mehmet are the managers, and exude the warmth you only see with small hotelier. Knowledgeable and helpful, they welcomed us each day with genuine appreciation. I had questions about driving, and Sam spent time suggesting routes and what to watch for. This is an upscale, boutique hotel. If you want the all inclusive, loud and impersonal experience - stay at one of the big resorts. This place is a gem designed with care and a personal touch which may be why there is a steady stream of European guests. If you seek the finer things, this is a great choice.

Peaceful, gorgeous location, outside the hustle and bustle of other Punta Cana resorts. I would describe this as an upscale boutique hotel with an amazing breakfast, rather than a b&b. The best part was the staff, including Sam, who were more than accommodating and in tune with their client’s needs. It would be a wonder place for a location wedding or other such event where you could book the whole hacienda. Lovely pool, lounging areas, well maintained grounds and path to the beach. This is a charming bed and breakfast that marries an Old World feel with Modern Comforts. You have many places to relax and unwind on the immaculately kept hotel and grounds while still close to Macao Beach. Breaksfasts are phenomenal with unbeatable views of the pool, gardens and ocean. The best part of the stay was undoubtedly the staff who all welcomed us with genuine warmth and hospitality. Can't imagine staying anywhere else.

We had a very relaxing time at Selectum. The team are friendly and welcoming and were so attentive throughout our stay. The rooms are well designed and equipped and the food is fantastic. These guys take pride in what they do!

Payed 50 deposit for the air-conditioning and electricity check out was at 10.00 but I had to leave earlier . I send them a message for giving my deposit money back they say I have to have a Dominican Bank account I provide them a Dominican Bank account and they start to ignore me. I find this really sad that even a hotel scam you like that. Is not that hard to send some money back so the only thing I can do is give you a bad review.

Where do I even begin!!! Don’t even know why Expedia has this as an option for a hotel to stay in. Took us forever to find the place. False location. No hot water. So dirty smells moldy, we found left over hair on the floor and bed as shown on pictures I uploaded. Pictures shown on Expedia are not what the hotel is. I’m 100% all the 10/10 rates are false from someone they payed to do cuz it’s absolutely not true. DO NOT BOOK HERE!!! You will waste your money for sure. As soon as we got into our room we immediately booked something else. We didn’t feel safe to even see walk out of the room. Nobody knew of this hotel nor the location of it, starting with the airport staff and taxis. Once we got to the location of the hotel that Expedia had, we weren’t able to locate the place itself. Spent about 20 minutes looking for the check in office just to find a lady that was super rude and sketchy. She then had us signed an agreement in which it said that we had already checked out the room and it was clean and when we told her we had not seen the room yet she told us that it didn’t matter because we had already paid ahead of time it didn’t make a difference if we signed that agreement or not. Definitely false advertising. Worst experience of my life.

i don’t even know where to begin. the lady in the front counter was the most rude person ever. she said if we didn’t like what we see we “ can leave and go somewhere else “ i mean what kind of customer service is this ? when we tried to check out our room which by the way we had to find ourselves because she wasn’t even able to take us to our room , just handed the keys and left us on our own. the room was absolutely disgusting. the bed was broken , it was literally on the floor like hello ?? also ITS A FAKE LOCATION , the real name is “ sol caribe “. we tried contacting them to get a refund and guess what , it’s a fake number as well. i don’t even know why this place is still open for business honestly this is unacceptable.

Please take some advice and don’t book here. It is a scam. My family and I booked here for 13 nights. We got in very late and it was raining so we tried not to get too down on how poor it looked at first glance. We walked into a place that smelled of sewer and mold. There was rain coming in some doors and windows. The next day we went to use the pool and were told there was not one available. That was the whole point for the kids. We tried to keep spirits up but we went to cook and the stove would not light. The microwave wouldn’t pop popcorn and the refrigerator was leaking all over the floor. We wanted to take a shower to find out No hot water. They said we didn’t need those things. That night I killed over 50 cockroaches. They were everywhere literally coming out of the walls. That put me over the edge. The next morning I went calmly into the makeshift lobby to try and get a partial refund. They said no but would try to move us. They only had a 2 bedroom available and we booked a 3 bef 2 bath. I asked repeatedly for a partial refund, they refused. We left and went to a great place down the beach a half mile. I went back the next day to try one more time. They said they had no money and would call security if I didn’t leave immediately. I walked away telling them how I would leave this review. They screamed that they didn’t care.

Complete fraud! PLEASE Do not book! My family was suppose to stay for 13days in a 3 bedroom villa. Which it was not! There was at least one or two apartments above ours! We got in very late and the next day was horrible! We where told only one bathroom had hot water which neither of them did, stove did not work, microwave did not work, air conditioner leaked all over, refrigerator leaked all over the floor kids fell from it multiple times, windows leaked, at night it was filled with COCKROACHES! They said there was a pool but when we got there said we had to pay $5 per person to use.the list would go on but too many things wrong with this place. They would not refund us and where very rude.

This is a complete dump. we left after 2 days (was supposed to be there for 10) 2 day power went out, no A/C amenities sucked around this location, stated that it had a washer and dryer, did not work. place smelled like your grandmothers’ old home, No A/C in the kitchen/livingroom. we walked away from 8 nights; I don't think I will get a refund. that's how bad it was. Expedia should take it off the choices they have to offer.

Booked an apartment there to spend Christmas and see our daughter who was staying in Punta Cana for a week. Showed up for checking in late at 8 p.m. but had advise them of our late arrival. Gate entrance was locked and no security to open it therefore could not drive in. Parked our vehicle, walked to check-in with no one there to receive us. Call the phone number on the door, sent WhatsApp messages, waited 45 min. then decided to part away. It might be a good place to stay but we didn't the service expected and didn't get to see the Apart therefore the negative critic. There are cheap places to stay but this particular place is off our list!
