Nestled in a valley surrounded by tropical forests, The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat offers a luxurious escape into nature. This 5-star retreat features stylish villas with private pools and butler services. Guests can indulge in geothermal hot springs, open-air bathrooms with rainfall showers, and exclusive spa treatments. The resort also boasts unique amenities such as steam caves, ice baths, and dining inside a cave at Jeffs Cellar.
This resort was exactly what my wife and me needed. It had a perfectly relaxed atmosphere and the service was absolutely top-notch. The staff were warm, professional, and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The whole place just felt peaceful and inviting, a true escape from daily life. I left feeling completely recharged and refreshed.

Visited The Banjaran Hot Springs in August and truly enjoyed the entire experience! From the warm and attentive staff service to the beautiful ambiance and facilities, everything was top-notch. The breakfast buffet was another highlight – the variety and quality of the food were really impressive and delicious. One of my favourite was that the tubs in the villa were filled with natural hot spring water. The only small downside was the number of mosquitoes, but I appreciated that the resort thoughtfully provided mosquito repellent (though I still ended up with a few bites!). Overall, it was an unforgettable stay and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious, relaxing getaway.

What a fantastic resort. Incredible rooms. Lush jungle surroundings and probably the best hot prong facility I have ever had. The fish spa was also quite a suprise and a first for me. Jeff's Cellar their fine dining restraunt is a must visit. I've never seen such a stunning place. Excellent staff and incredible food. A Michelin star is definitely in order.
Arshia G — Google review
It is a dream come true. The resort is so beautilful, the rooms are spacious and nice. The Service is very attentitive and the breakfast offers a wide variety of dishes that can be ordered. We actually ended up staying an additional night because we liked it so much. The only criticism I can come up with is that the gym is not that well looked after, the Equipment is quite old, it is not that clean and you do not have any WiFi there.

Our stay in Banjaran was phenomenal. An easy drive from Kuala Lumpur. Our villa was beautiful and equipped with a geothermal pool and the service was great. The entire property is gorgeous and luscious with tropical flora and fauna. Some complementary actives also was provided in the morning and evenings. The highlight was the fine dining experience we had in Jeff’s Cellar, the restaurant within a limestone cave. Grace our main server had provided such impeccable service! We love her! Pomelo restaurant was alright, I found it a little overpriced for the quality. A disappointment we encountered was the massage services. Even tho the reception and the spa was gorgeous, our masseuses unfortunately was not very skilled or present. It did not feel like a RM 700/pax spa service as we had just had a spa experience from The Four Seasons with around the same price but such vast difference in execution. All in all, still quite an experience with the hot springs and the limestone cave and the gorgeous nature. Lots of mosquitoes but it’s expected in that terrain, they provide repellants for that.

I used a day pass for the spa and it was the highlight of my trip to Ipoh. This is a luxury high end spa resort hotel about 20 mins outside Ipoh town center. The day pass allows clients to use the swimming pool, natural sauna, fish pool, geothermal baths as well as the meditation halls. All embedded in the limescale caves that surround the resort. A feast for the eyes with all the natural beauty. Plus you get vouchers for 150 ringitt lunch which is more than enough if you choose carefully. Splash out - treat yourself for a day of luxury. Only issue I had was with the form which did not acknowledge my request - all sorted out with a quick call but it would really help if the system/website was fully automated.
Wing P — Google review
I went with the day pass for the spa and had a lovely time. I had the place to myself which was really relaxing. Steam cave, swimming pool ,4 hot dipping pools, crystal cave, fish spa etc.. everything was great. You may think the pass is expensive but it includes a voucher for lunch which was excellent Definitely one of the highlight of my trip

Nice stay for 1 night, other than the lack of temperature for indoor sauna and insufficient water pressure from shower facilities, everything was nice. Jo and the Chinese lady manager in white uniform were tip top in their service. Jo was warm and nice, although forgotten our additional sourdough bread request. The Chinese lady manager, I must say, her knowledge when presenting the food was good, I enjoyed listening to her backstory of ingredients's origin and whereabouts.

Hotel
WEIL Hotel is a chic property located in a modern neighborhood in Ipoh. It offers contemporary and stylish suites with modern amenities, including specially-themed suites for couples. The Summer Bliss suites are adorned with bold greens and golds, creating a beach-inspired ambiance. The hotel features spacious, light-filled rooms with comfortable beds and a rooftop infinity pool that provides stunning views of Ipoh. With multiple dining options on-site, guests can also explore nearby street food options within walking distance.
Nice hotel well equipped with a refreshing swimming pool on the rooftop. The gym equipment is very limited. Rooms are large with all amenities as well as the bathroom. Outstanding breakfast with large selections. Good quality of service. The hotel is directly connected to the large shopping (left of the front desk) mall if you want to stay in the air conditioned. Namely the walk to the downtown is not easy with damaged pavements and few lights to cross the busy roads. Take a taxi for the art districts and the colonial area.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Weil Hotel is one of the best and most spacious hotels I’ve ever stayed in Ipoh. The room was clean, modern, and very comfortable, with a large and well-designed bathroom that made the stay even more enjoyable. One of the highlights was the complimentary supper—porridge and soya milk—which was surprisingly delicious and comforting. It was actually my first time experiencing a hotel offering supper like that, and it left a great impression! Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of choices to suit different tastes. The location is also super convenient—directly linked to Ipoh Parade Mall, which makes shopping and dining very easy. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Ipoh. Great service, great food, and a truly pleasant stay.
Iris Y — Google review
Pleasant experience at Weil Hotel in Aug 25. The room was comfortable, clean, and spacious for 3 pax with a thoughtful touch, a filtered tap for drinking water right at the sink, which was very convenient. The hotel is directly connected to Ipoh Parade Mall through a linkway at the lobby on the ground floor, making it super convenient for shopping and dining. Since we had a car, it was a great base to explore Ipoh, and parking was hassle-free. The hotel shares the car park with the mall, just follow the signs through the mall car park until you reach the designated hotel parking area at Level 4 and 5. The driveway up is a bit of a spiral, but easy to navigate. Free parking for hotel guests. Overall, a comfortable and well-located hotel that made our stay in Ipoh very enjoyable.

Booked a Concept Studio with jacuzzi for 2 nights. Pros: 1. Room was clean and spacious. The jacuzzi worked perfectly with hot water, which was a nice touch. 2. The only hotel I’ve stayed in that actually has a smart TV with YouTube and Netflix installed — perfect for a staycation. Managed to binge-watch 5 movies on Netflix during my stay. 3. Loved the ambience of the Concept Lounge, which is exclusive for Concept Room guests. It offers free-flow drinks throughout the stay and an afternoon tea session (with wine and Tiger beer) from 5–7 p.m. 4. There’s even complimentary supper with comforting options like porridge and soy milk — a thoughtful touch. 5. Soundproofing was decent, with only occasional door thumps. 6. The nasi lemak at breakfast was absolutely delicious. 7. Connected to Ipoh Parade mall. Super convenient Cons: 1. The blinds in my room were crooked and the pull string didn’t work. Had to manually adjust each vertical blind to minimize gaps since the jacuzzi is right by the window. Hopefully management replaces it with a more functional set. 2. Breakfast spread was quite mediocre, except for the nasi lemak. 3. Despite being a 5-star hotel, the breakfast queue was very long. Granted, it was a long weekend, but there were only 2–3 staff clearing tables. Guests had to arrive early to avoid lining up. 4. The afternoon tea session was also crowded. Although it’s listed from 5–7 p.m., by 6 p.m. most food had already run out, leaving only leftovers for those who came later. I didn’t stay to see if they refilled, but combined with the breakfast situation, it feels like the hotel falls short in managing crowd flow during peak times. 5. It didn’t bother me personally, but just a heads-up: the room view faces a Christian cemetery. I only realized this the next morning since I checked in late at night when it was dark outside. And you could hear the bell ringing from the church next to the cemetery on Sunday morning. Overall, the stay was pleasant and relaxing, but crowd management during meal times definitely needs improvement.

Lovely and well located hotel with popular restaurants nearby. It’s within walking distance to all places of interest. It’s connected to a mall with many famous brands so even when we came during the rainy season we didn’t feel restricted. The service from everyone in the hotel is top notch! They also provide supper from 11 pm to 12 midnight which is surprising! It’s light and simple - plain porridge with delicious condiments and soya bean drink. Breakfast buffet is wide range w local and western delights. The bedroom is spacious, clean and comfortable. We slept so well! The bathroom amenities is adequate and the bath gel, shampoo and conditioner is of good quality. 🙏

Had a wonderful breakfast experience at Tifini Restaurant! The service was excellent — from the warm welcome and smooth table ushering to the attentive staff who ensured all our food needs were met. The food was equally impressive. The prata and chicken curry were absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked with authentic flavors. There was also a great selection of fresh fruits and other breakfast options. The kids especially enjoyed the eggs, which were cooked just the way they liked. A great start to the day with tasty food and friendly service — definitely worth returning for another breakfast! Special thank ! Tin Lok Lee Kaveesha Fareena Shantha Keep it up your good work .. One of those rare hotels I have been for my business that is clean, good breakfast variety (they served char kuey / cakoi !), fast lift service. It is attached to the mall. Be careful when driving up parking. The upper floor of parking is a bit run down and dark. Many gates to deal with for complimentary parking access.
Muhd M — Google review
Truly exceeded my expectations. The location is unbeatable, precisely what you want in a city-center hotel. Being able to step out and immediately be at Ipoh Parade was a huge plus, making my trip so much more convenient. Inside, my room was exactly what I needed cozy, comfortable, and well-maintained. Breakfast was a definite highlight, with a great selection of tasty options to start the day. Most importantly, the service was exceptional. The staff were consistently friendly, attentive, and incredibly helpful, making my entire stay a smooth and enjoyable one. This hotel ticks all the boxes!

3M Boutique Ipoh

Boutique
M Boutique Ipoh is a trendy hotel that offers a unique experience with its eclectic quarters and modern amenities. The hotel features three distinct themed floors, each with its own style, from safari-inspired furnishings to industrial designs and quaint displays of butterflies and beetles. Guests can enjoy free Wi-Fi, parking, and access to a 24-hour gym.
I stayed one night at M Boutique Hotel and really loved the eclectic design — dark furniture, dim lighting, and lots of character. The queen bed was comfortable, and although the room isn’t very spacious, the layout was smart. They managed to fit in a sofa, wardrobe with hangers, shoe rack, minibar, and even proper coffee cups and glasses (not the cheap kind). I especially liked the black-and-white bathroom design, the wide mirror, and the small two-sided magnifying mirror. Amenities were complete enough for a short stay, and there’s also a gym. Private parking is free but limited (first-come, first-served). Street parking in front of the hotel is paid during the day but free after 6pm. One small note: the iron and ironing board are shared in the hallway, not inside the room. Also, I could sometimes hear voices and sounds from the neighboring rooms — it was most noticeable around the bathroom area near the door. Overall, the room felt beautiful, cozy, and comfortable, and I wouldn’t mind staying here again. Staff were also polite and welcoming.
Nur H — Google review
We booked a Suite at M Boutique Ipoh, and it was such a cool experience! The room was spacious and full of character, way more stylish than your typical hotel. Definitely Instagram worthy with its chic, boutique vibe. What we loved: • The extra space was a game-changer compared to regular rooms. Perfect for relaxing after exploring Ipoh. • The design and little details really made the stay feel special. • Amenities were great, and for the price, it felt like good value. Things to note: • The bathroom has a semi-open concept, so privacy might be an issue if you’re sharing. • Soundproofing isn’t perfect – you can hear some hallway noise. • Some rooms don’t get much natural light, so it can feel a bit dim. • Cleanliness was mostly fine, but a little more attention to detail would make it perfect. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. If you love unique design and want something different from a standard hotel, this is a great pick! Just expect a few quirks here and there.
Teddy — Google review
The hotel itself is undeniably beautiful, with stylish rooms and very friendly, helpful staff. However, I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the room — the fridge wasn’t working, and there were cockroaches in the bathroom. The air conditioning also didn’t cool properly, which made the stay less comfortable. The location is fair but not ideal; it’s surrounded mostly by car showrooms, and without a car, getting basic necessities late at night can be inconvenient as most places are at least a 15-minute walk away.
Mohammed A — Google review
Found dirty used tissue at the end of the room next to bed when I checked in, so maybe the staff needs to be more vigilant in doing housekeeping. Toilet door very hard to slide. But other than that, the hotel is very nice. Beautiful, and has great parking.
Daphne C — Google review
Came to Ipoh for one night, we randomly booked this hotel cuz my daughter said their room has that “sherlock holmes” vibe. We booked a suite room, spacious enough for a small family. The room and bathroom are very clean. They even provide bathrobe, slippers. For a 3 star hotel this is sooo good. The only downside is they dont have iron in the room. Love their ID, like classic gothic english style.
Leanna — Google review
Very disappointed with this stay. For this price, I really didn't expect a hotel without hot water for showering. The water pressure was extremely weak, the air conditioner wasn't cold, and the room phone didn't work when I tried to contact the front desk. The hotel looks stylish in photos, but it feels like they spent all their money on decoration instead of guest comfort. A basic hot shower and a good night's sleep are the most important things - both were missing. I even checked out early the next morning and informed the staff about the issue, but they showed no concern at all. There are definitely better hotels nearby - don't be misled by the design and pictures.
Jack T — Google review
Location was alright, behind the hotel has a private parking without cost. Room is cozy, but abit small. Some of the decorations seems to be dusty. Toilet is clean, has hair dryer, disposable toothbrush toothpaste, and slippers.
Kayleen C — Google review
The room is clean and some antique design. Staff is friendly. Reason for 4 star because the internet is very slow, speed at 100kb to 400kb/s which is far from average internet speed today. Due to this I have trouble log into my company vpn using a laptop. I hope the hotel improve the Internet speed to minimum 1mb or 2mb/s average.

M Roof Hotel is a chic and contemporary urban hotel in Ipoh, offering warmly decorated rooms with modern amenities. The hotel features two restaurants, a pool, and a gym for guests to enjoy. Its convenient location allows easy access to attractions such as Old Town and Perak Tong Cave Temple. Additionally, the hotel provides an ideal base for exploring the local dining scene and must-try restaurants in Ipoh.
I recently stayed at this hotel and was genuinely impressed with the overall experience. The room was modern, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. The king-sized bed was incredibly comfortable, and the cozy sofa area made it easy to unwind after a long day. I also appreciated the large work desk, which was perfect for getting things done. The bathroom stood out with its sleek black-and-white hexagonal tile design, featuring a spacious walk-in shower, good lighting, and quality amenities. Everything was spotless and well-maintained. Beyond the room, the hotel offers great facilities. The gymnasium is clean, well-equipped, and perfect for a quick workout. The swimming pool area is inviting and ideal for a refreshing dip or just relaxing by the water. One convenient touch I really appreciated was the self-service laundry – very handy for longer stays or active travelers. Overall, this hotel checks all the right boxes – stylish design, great amenities, and excellent comfort. Whether you’re here for business or leisure, it’s a fantastic place to stay. Highly recommended!

Overall it’s a comfortable stay if it’s for a short 1 - 2 day stay. Modern designed boutique hotel. The good 1. Beds are comfy. The bad. 1. The bathroom need extensive scrubbing . Especially the basin below. Full of mold partly due to the design itself. 2. Not enough power points. 3. Sound proof is poor. Light sleeper beware.
Danny T — Google review
Very spacious for the 3 rooms unit. Very comfortable to stay. What I love the most is the clean bathroom. Parking is available just outside of the hotel. A good hotel that can fit in 6 people and hang out together in the unit. The shower sets are not fully refilled. Some are empty. But you can just call the lobby for help and they sent it not long after. Room is dark, less lighting but I guess that's their design. Day time was ok if you open the curtains but night time is dark.

Even after many years I've never travel Ipoh, there is something awe I like to tell to this hotel... Well-done . Just love your room and amenities.. one of the most reasonable room rate in Ipoh. But definitely receiving 5 start service when come to amenities especially the room .. Staff as usual so friendly and welcoming Over worth the stay. Will always be my 1st priority hotel to stay when I visit Ipoh, Malaysia Again

Good hospitality from the hotel team, from the receptionist above.. being considerate upon a few of our requests (even not all). Our room don't have any carpet but still nice. The air-conditioning was superd, super cool.. nevertheless parking space was a bit challenging, its loacted outside the premise and you have to identify suitable space to park.
Nasrul J — Google review
Though we didn't stay overnight (we were just there for a wedding), we did get to experience what the rooms were like getting ready, and we did get to experience the catered dinner. Very good as a venue/conference, and solid as for rooms (of note: only an old style iron - not one which emitted steam). The food was absolutely awesome!

Recently stay here due to given a free room from having Wedding in this hotel. Overall the suite room is quite huge but the parking can be better. As we are having wedding here alot of our guest not able to park their car in the hotel and force to park far from the road side which is not convenience for the guest.
Boboki69 — Google review
The staff at MRoof are very welcoming, friendly and obliging . We stayed there for a week. The room was comfortable. They also have a self service laundry which is very handy if you are traveling. There is a pool and also a gym. The one thing I would say, though is the cleanliness in the restaurant was a little patchy.

Nestled within the expansive 202-hectare Meru Valley Resort in Ipoh, the 4-star Meru Suites offers a range of comfortable studios and 1- to 3-bedroom suites. The resort features a picturesque golf course, dining options, and a refreshing outdoor pool with lush greenery views. Guests can enjoy modern amenities such as free Wi-Fi, daily housekeeping, and private check-in/check-out services.
Booked this last minute whilst travelling. It's a lovely peaceful resort on the outskirts of Ipoh, 10 minutes to the centre by taxi. It's primarily a golf resort and large parts are owner occupied but some stock is for rent. Reception staff were lovely and helpful, the main complex we were in was secure and very quiet. Our Room was spacious with a kitchenette, there are free laundry facilities on site. The shower room is good and the cleaning was very good. Balcony overlooking the course, a small cafe on site, a restaurant and a nice pool. Good wifi. We don't golf so cannot comment on the course.

Extremely pleasant staffs. Spacious and comfortable rooms/apartments. Clean and well maintain. Only disappointed with their breakfast buffet (ps just random ala carte dishes for you to choose). Overall I have no complaints on the accommodation. Maybe just my next go to stay if i drop by Ipoh again!

Meru Suites / Meru Valley GCC offers a great experience for golfers who also like their food. It does not try to replace the traditional Ipoh food offerings but offers a very viable alternative to any golfer or traveler looking for an in-resort holiday or work event. Thoroughly enjoyed the golf course. Excellent bespoke packages for both dining and golf.
Simon L — Google review
I recently stayed for two nights at Meru Suites and had a pleasant experience. Even though it's a bit far from town, I chose to stay here because of the peaceful environment. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The sofa and complimentary amenities were all great. I didn’t have time to swim, but the pool looked big enough. I also appreciated the covered parking. A special thanks to the resort for upgrading my room! The restaurant offers some unique menu options that you don’t often find at other resorts, which was a nice touch. The internet speed was around 30~35 Mbps—not super fast, but with low latency, it was good enough for office work. I’d recommend upgrading the TVs to smart TVs so guests can watch YouTube or Netflix. It would also be great if the restaurant and office could open by 6:30 AM for those of us who need to leave early for work. One minor issue was the key card system at the security post—most of the time, the security scanner failed to detect my car, which was a bit inconvenient. Overall, I had a good stay and would consider coming back!

This is my 6 times I repeat my stay here everytime travel to Ipoh. Always maintained clean & quite as too. Now they improved with a complimentary of drinks inside the fridge for their guest. Although no more free breakfast under Agoda package for quite sometimes but the foods still good & big portion as before for our dinner. Hopefully this place always remain good & clean as it is. Definitely will come back here for future trip.

Sunway Lost World Hotel is nestled in the lush hills of Tambun, offering a laid-back stay with 174 rooms featuring king or twin beds. As part of the renowned Lost World of Tambun Theme Park, it provides easy access to the park's rides and attractions. The hotel's explorer-themed ambiance perfectly complements the park's adventurous spirit, making it an ideal choice for families visiting Ipoh.
Twin room, best deal with Lost World night park access for 2-pax (6-10pm). Ample parkings around the hotel. Nice complementary instant white coffee & milk tea. Clean room, comfortable bed & pillows. Sound insulation of the hotel room need to be improved. Attentive & helpful staffs to assist you with luggages and street crossing to the Lost World Park site (3mins only). Quite disappointing breakfast, very basic items, but still reasonable for the price we paid. Overall, inclusive of the maintenance of it's hotel & theme park The Lost World of Tambun, Sunway still rocks. *Overwhelming support from local tourists during school holiday, pools are overcrowded*

Good choice for those who wants to go to the theme park and hot springs. The room is spacious and all the amenities are good. The wifi is quite weak, sometimes no connection. Friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast is quite basic. More varieties would be better. The toilet should be improved. In the evening the water flow is very weak. Especially the water heater. Either too cold or too hot cannot make it in the middle. Please kindly fix this.

Stayed at the Sunway Lost World Hotel for a night for SGD102 with access to the night park at Lost World of Tambun and breakfast provide as well which was a great deal. The Lost World of Tambun was supposed to enjoy their hot spring la but hor I see already I scare sia. Like many people nvm looks very eeeeee 🫣 I feel kids will like it so much more loh. But for the price we paid it's alright la. Got animal to see, we anyhow walk walk see see also spent nearly 2hrs inside 😅 Hotel room Aircon is power, toothbrush soft and good. Shampoo not good will make hair like grass but their hairdryer strong so ended up not too bad. But got like those drain flies la 🫣 Overall a decent stay I would say.

Stay one night in exotic triple room, room size just good for 3 persons. For me, everything in the room is ok. Room comes with 3 tickets for Lost World Night Park. If compare to 9 years ago, i think there is an improvement in the park overall. The petting zoo is beyond my expectation, an animal paradise for kids. There are more food stall compared to years before. One needs to pay for the food at a cashier counter first, then go to the food kiosk and show them your receipt. A good place to spend a night, soaking in the hot pool, walking thru the park in dark etc. But but, the breakfast selection is quite limited, hope the management may consider to offer more variety of food such as local kuih or maybe more hot meal like fried rice, especially on Sundays.
Irëne L — Google review
Visited the Night Park during the holidays and unfortunately, it was quite underwhelming. The place was too crowded, making it hard to enjoy the attractions peacefully. The hot springs were not hot as expected - more like warm pools, which was disappointing since we came mainly for the relaxation. Crowd management could be improved, especially during peak seasons. Overall, the atmosphere was lively but the experience didn't meet expectations. Might be better to visit on a weekday if you prefer a more relaxing outing.

Total of 3 floors, with many rooms. The room we got was clean and spacious. One thing I like is that they give refill glass bottle in the room. Usually we get like only 2 500ml bottles. This they gave us 2 big glass bottle and unlimited refilled. The place is very near to the water theme park. We got to enjoy the park in the night with heated water pool.
Jesslyn M — Google review
It was the worst. Only cold water came out of the shower. I was told to wait 10 minutes, then 20 minutes, and in the end, only cold water came out all night. They said they couldn't change rooms because they were fully booked, so they just left it at that. Every time I contacted them, they were vague and hesitant. The next day, the manager came out, but he just smirked and didn't respond properly. He said he'd email me later, but I still haven't heard from him. I'll never go there again.

The hotel is already old and tired! The corridor is very narrow . The room not so bad, well equipped. But there are no place in lobby , this is my first experience of hotel where is the lobby and waiting zone so tiny and small! About the breakfast it’s average for 3 star hotel!

Hotel Casuarina @ Meru in Ipoh, Perak is a top choice for both business and leisure travelers. Situated in the heart of Bandar Meru Raya, it offers warm rooms and suites in a polished setting. The property features a gym and a relaxed restaurant/cafe.
Had a pleasant stay at Hotel Casuarina@Meru. The room was spacious and very comfortable, making it ideal for both business and family trips. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of choices, served in a large dining area with the option to sit indoors with air conditioning or outside for a more relaxed setting. The location is also great for those who enjoy light exercise or outdoor activities. Just in front of the hotel is a lively recreational area that stays active even at night. You can go for a jog or enjoy fun activities such as riding e-scooters, bump cars, or simply walk around and take in the colorful neon lights. Parking in front of the hotel is slightly limited, but there are plenty of additional spaces at the back. It is a bit of a walk, but manageable. Overall, a great experience with comfort, convenience, and entertainment all in one place.

Breakfast food: The fried rice was slightly spicy, there was a variety of food, but the taste could have been better. The Coco Crunch had gone stale, and the milk provided didn’t taste right. Moreover, before I finished my meal, the staff cleared my plate. I was about to get more food, and they took my plate and gave my seat to someone else. It was quite disappointing. Room: The room was a bit dim due to the romantic lighting. There was no bedside lamp switch, so I had to get up to turn the lights off, which was inconvenient. Booking request: I requested a room near the lift a month in advance, but I was given a room far from the lift. Parking: The parking space was plentiful.

Nice room i got here. Large and well furnished. Nothing much comment except they could replace the chair for the office desk in the room, but using less heavy and more ergonomic chair design. The location also is well placed. Easily accessible with shops and eateries which are placed just beside the hotel.

Stayed 3D2N, booked 3 rooms. Expect less to no greetings from bellboy/ doorman. During check-out on 17 Aug at 11am, both were just chatting, no offer to help with luggage. Rooms were ok, but breakfast taste can improve. Live station had cockroach and bad smell.

Booked twin suite for small family for 3 nights. Easy check in and check out. Location just in front of dataran which is very lively from morning until midnight. Many activities for family. Comfortable bed but the aircond not so cold. Got some issue with water heater either too hot or too cold only. Breakfast good on taste and choices. Open parking first come first serve.

The Impiana Hotel Ipoh offers its guests an excellent standard of accommodation in a prime location close to various amenities and attractions. The friendly and helpful staff make sure that all needs are met, while the hotel is also frequently used for meetings and conferences. Rates are reasonable considering the quality of service on offer.
Stayed here for a special celebration, and we truly appreciated the lovely room decoration and complimentary dessert — such a thoughtful gesture that made our occasion feel extra special. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a charming classic hotel vibe. We did encounter an issue with the air-conditioning not being cold, but kudos to the engineering team and duty manager who responded promptly and assisted us in changing rooms without hassle. Their helpfulness definitely made a difference. Dinner at the restaurant was a highlight — the food was tasty and the cake was absolutely delightful. For the quality of service and overall experience, the price is very affordable and definitely worth it. Would recommend for those seeking a cozy and welcoming hotel with warm hospitality.

I recently stayed at this hotel and, while I appreciate the service and amenities provided, I did encounter a significant issue during my visit. The room I was given seemed to have a noticeable amount of dust, which unfortunately affected my comfort and well-being. After spending some time in the room,I began experiencing coughing, throat irritation and eye discomfort, which I believe may have been caused by the air quality, possibly from dust or a need for the air conditioning filter to be cleaned. This made it difficult to relax and get proper rest during my stay.I kindly suggest that management thoroughly inspect and deep clean the rooms, paying extra attention to ventilation systems and carpets, to ensure a more comfortable and healthy environment for future guests. Thank you for taking this feedback into consideration I truly hope these improvements can be made, as the hotel has great potential.

The whole place should demolished and re-build it. Basement parking 🅿️ were super dark and it's very not comfortable. Only one key card given, toilet bowl with yellow water marks. No plug point at side of the bed, toilet were look old and really really need to refurbish. Lobby ladies toilet were wet on the floor and not not very give a very good impression. During our stay, there's a few occasions happening, the people were having a break time and enjoying their food but they all come over and sit at all chairs near the piano? Is it normal or not normal? Aren't those chairs should be welcoming new guests for a seat while waiting for their room? There are lots to catch up compare with Penang Hotels.

Overall was a great experience. It was my 3rd time staying here, and I can say you may expect a good customer service from their staff. Special thanks to the front desk manager on the midnight shift 16/9 @2am (didn't notice the name) for trying the best to accommodate my special requests. Also thanks to Mr. Faid for the assistance even though my initial request was not clear, he still serve me with great gesture 🙌. While the 2 out of 3 lifts were out of service, I would say the customer service experience compensate that. Wish you guys well in the future.
Muhammad A — Google review
The room was super comfy, big, clean, and neat. But the lift service wasn’t great, which was a bit of a letdown. Also, would be great if the access to the basement parking could be improved. Hopefully these can be sorted out for a smoother stay next time.
Syikin Z — Google review
I would like to express my appreciation for the excellent service provided by the concierge and front desk teams during my recent stay. They were professional, courteous, and helpful throughout. However, I was quite disappointed with the guest lift service. Considering it was a long weekend with high guest traffic, I believe the hotel should have anticipated the increased demand. Unfortunately, only one guest lift was operating, which led to significant delays. Despite checking out before the designated time, I had to wait nearly 30 minutes for the lift. Eventually, I had to carry my luggage down the stairs, which was very inconvenient and not what one would expect from a 4-star hotel. I hope the hotel will take this feedback seriously and improve operational readiness during peak periods to ensure a better guest experience in the future.

Stayed at Impiana Hotel Ipoh and it’s clear the hotel has seen better days. The building looks and feels dated, with rooms and bathrooms showing their age. The pool was under renovation during my visit, so it wasn’t usable. Parking can be a bit confusing — best to ask the reception for guidance. That said, the service truly stands out; the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Their warm hospitality makes a big difference. I’m giving it four stars purely for the service, but the hotel management really needs to prioritize serious repairs and a full renovation soon.

Room is great. Unfortunately their renovations making me sick. Just imagine booking a hotel room but it feels like youre staying at a construction site? Pool is not accessible either bcs of renovations, theres only one elevator, the others are in progress. Come on. Dining at the coffee house with renovations background music lol.

With its stunning lakeside location, guests can enjoy breathtaking views while relaxing by the unique seahorse-shaped pools. Just a short drive from the popular Lost World of Tambun Theme Park, this resort features an array of amenities including a fitness center and on-site dining options.
Great views from the hotel. Facing beautiful cliffs and a small lake. Wonderful facilities as well, our family enjoyed the pool and the jacuzzi. We also enjoyed playing at the playground area and taking a walk around the lake. Restaurant served decent food for dinner and breakfast. And we were very satisfied with our rooms as well.

Almost perfect place. The suites are big for the price. Has a beautiful environment within the grounds. Hotel staffs service is all 5 stars. The breakfast buffet is decent. The pool is beautiful and clean. There is a family of monkeys staying near the park if u know where to look. Animal lovers Will love the spot. The location is walking distance to some eateries. For me I drive so not a big issue for me. Drive to town or major attractions will take around 15-20 mins. Will give 5 stars if they can make the improvements 1. Either remove the petting animals in the website as it is no longer available, or start back the petting animals. 2. The chairs inside the jacuzzi can see black spots. Can considering changing the chairs. 3. Perhaps can put a couple of real ducks in the lake instead of fake ducks.

This place claims to be 5 star with a service level of a 2 star . Ill start with what is good. 1. Rooms are fairly clean and nice. 2. Location is quiet and peaceful. 3. Nice Clean Gym 4. had a steam room but was off when i went. 5. nice pool. What is not good is 1. The bathroom shower water leaks onto the main bathroom area 2. sink is chipped and not repaired 3. Rooms have a funky smell in the hall area. 4. ordered 1/2 boiled eggs for breakfast and they came raw eggs. 5. 80% of staff are foreigners that don't speak English. 6. Some staff at the event hall especially one hall staff kept rushing to clear the coffee cups while participants are not done yet and practically talks too much like a know it all. 7. only 1 restaurant for food. 8. The breakfast is nothing great i personally would have enjoyed a simple bowl of noodles or some roti canai outside rather than spend my money here .

Beautiful view, spacious, clean and comfortable rooms. Owner is quick to respond to our needs. Worth paying. The only set back was the hot water jacuzzi pool was not working. This was actually the best highlight when I came earlier the trip.

We stayed here over the weekend recently (19–21 September) and unfortunately, my 3 y/o son was injured when a broken chair collapsed and he cut his lip badly on the metal table. What upset me most was not just the accident itself, but how poorly it was handled by all the staff. Even though he was bleeding, none of the staff offered assistance or even noticed. My husband and father had to run around in a panic looking for tissues which the hotel strangely didn’t have available. Only when I directly asked for tissues did a staff member quickly bring a small handful from behind the bar. Even after I explained this was caused by the hotel’s broken chair, the only immediate action was to remove the chair. No first aid was offered until my husband specifically asked to speak to the manager. The initial response from the person in charge was simply to offer my child a vitagen, rather than arranging medical attention. The transport to the clinic was only arranged after I firmly insisted. The lack of urgency, empathy, and proactive response was very disappointing, especially when a small child was visibly hurt. The way this was handled added significantly to our distress. I hope the hotel seriously reviews its staff training, safety protocols, and emergency procedures because no parent should ever have to experience this kind of negligence when their child is injured on hotel premises.

Beautiful stay at the Haven. The place is in the actual jungle and is so peaceful. I have to make a special mention of MD. Tanvir - he was so accomodating at the restaurant every single morning and evenings we spent there. Knew our coffee order, always went out of his way to make us feel special. Will be coming back for sure!

Booked 2 bedrooms suite. Location wise - close to Lost world of Tambun, a bit secluded area but also close to Miker Pizza Tambun (must go!). Room was clean with complete amenities and kitchenware. The view was superb especially around the dining area - there's lake there. Breakfast was okay la, so so - quite variety but not lavish.

I simply love Limestone Restaurant food. The international authentic menu so good and delicious 😋 @ fried kuay toew, fried rice, hawaiian chicken chop. Stayed for a night and enjoyed the delicious breakfast. Enjoyed my stay and the food. Reasonable rate. Highly recommended. Thank you

An old school hotel with big rooms and bathtub. Passable breakfast but terrible coffee. Fairy clean, some stains, comfy bed and bit flat screen with lots of shows. About 8:30am the toilet overflowed, told the front desk and the lady asked "when do you check out?" When I informed her it was today, nothing was done about the issue. Housekeeping came by, looked at it and didn't even mop up the water. It ruined what was otherwise a decent stay.

I've stayed in this hotel at least 3 times prior, but my latest stay has been disappointing. Aircon is not cold, feels like warm air blowing, requested for service from front office, but no service personnel came. The in-room hair dryer is also spoilt, and the fridge is non functional & mouldy. Buffet breakfast is good at least.

My mom’s car tyre was flat after check out today, and the hotel staffs very helpful as she was alone. Many thanks to those who helped her, especially to En Rusmanor (if not mistaken). He even brought my mom to few mechanic stores to get changed. Thank you so much for your wonderful services!

Room and service was just ok. The severe hiccup was very limited parking slots there, barely fits for all visitors and we need to park outside of the hotel compound (need to pay parking fee if not, the city council will summon you). During check out time, we parked the car at the waiting lobby appox 5 minutes to load our luggage (because no parking slots available) plus I was in the car while my husband settling the luggage, and LMAO the staff there get mad on us because their BOSS wanted to park there! Come on, the waiting lobby should be available for the guest to load and unload their belonging and not for your BOSS park his/her car, You should reserve a parking slot for your BOSS then.

Stayed here during November 2023. Rooms were quite musty, with mould like patterns on the ceiling. Started coughing quite a bit after waking up from my first night. Beds were pretty ok, toilets were reasonably clean however lighting was quite dim, giving a ominous vibe to it. Hotel room had a fixed bike for exercising which is pretty good for people who want to do cardio. Had the hotel's breakfast, not bad range and variety of food, had good sambal there. Parking is pretty ok too.

Check in process really slow. Stay one night in 2 single bed room with my sister. Single bed really means single bed! Not super single. NOT SUPER SINGLE. Can’t believe still got hotel using single bed. Make sure you sleep still else sure will fell off. Breakfast nothing special very very normal menu. Served white toast bread but no toaster for you to heat them. I just had nasi lemak and porridge only others not my taste.

Travelodge Ipoh, the city's first internationally-branded hotel, opened its doors in January 2020. The hotel offers 268 newly refurbished guestrooms and is conveniently located just a 10-minute drive from the airport. Situated close to both business and leisure attractions, it provides a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and connectivity for guests.
One of the best hotel in Ipoh we have stayed, good value for money. Read some of the comments but I think the guest were too picky and fussy. Lucky the review proof otherwise. Service was good all the staff always greeting you. Even the hotel had groups in but they still provide good service. Why I still give 5 stars as it meets all my requirement, no need to nip pick those small issues. No one is perfect Down side is the parking for guest is the same as the workers, the offices and gym goers....... So you may need to rush for parking. We were here on weekday so imagine long holidays & weekend. The swimming pool was under maintainance but they should inform earlier to hotel guests, we are not those into the facilities but could have informed so other guest could be aware. But overall it was good no major issues and still enjoyed our stay.

The location is somewhat of a double edged sword. It is super central to all the sightseeing points and close to Ipoh Parade and got a good view over the city when you have one of the upper floors. However, it is also close to a main road and specially in the night it can be super loud with Motorbikes and sports cars with their loud motors going by all the time. Specially if you are a light sleeper it can be a big minus since you literally hear everything with the windows being fairly thin. The room and service on the other hand are great. The rooms are very very spacious with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Downstairs you can find a nice cafe, spa, a little pool and a gym which you can pay about 15rm (3 euros) to enter. Breakfast has a great variety and changes daily. Some western food and traditional Malaysian food like Nasi Lemak or curry noodle soup. If you come by car the parking can be tricky sometimes and takes a lot of patience to find a spot since the hotel also shares the parking spot with Gym-goers and event guests that use the hotels venue. Otherwise a great overall stay.

Hotel has its own parking floor just get your ticket waived at reception for free parking. Note: to reach the lobby you’ll need to take stairs, so drop heavy luggage at the entrance before checking in. Great central location, super convenient. The water dispenser is high quality with hot/cold options, and the shower pressure is strong and nice and hot

Came for a short stay to check it out before planning to book for a group of my guests However, it is so disappointed with Cleanliness as for a 4-Star Hotel Booked a Premium Deluxe Queen room, but was shocked by the condition — hair on the floor, handprints on the mirror, and stains over the sofa. To be fair, the reception staff were very polite and helpful. They assisted me in switching to a cleaner room, which was better, but still not quite what you'd expect . Overall, great service at the front desk, but cleanliness needs serious improvement.

Conveniently located near shopping and entertainment venues, the hotel is just a short drive from popular attractions such as Ipoh Old Town and the Ipoh Railway Station. The contemporary air-conditioned rooms are equipped with amenities like flat-screen TVs, electric kettles, and personal safes.
This is unassumingly fantastic hotel! My second stay with them. We were staying at AC Marriott before moving here for the rest of our trip this time. Their beds’ comfort level are equivalent or surpass most 5 stars hotels! One small detail which I really appreciate is the shower knobs are on the side and not under the shower head. Value for money room rates include good range of breakfast buffet. They even offer complimentary airport transfer!

Special mention must be given to the staff for making my stay at the hotel so special. First, we were warmly welcomed to the hotel by receptionist, Chitra. Next, the shuttle service is definitely a value-add to our stay. Addy, the driver was not only friendly, but punctual. He also shared with us additional information on the nice places to go for food and shopping. I would definitely recommend this hotel to those who are looking for a well-located, service-oriented and clean hotel.

I stayed at the hotel on Aug 15 - 17. Though not a big big hotel but it's comparable to one. It's clean, neat n tidy. Mr Addy who drives us around is sort of a spokesman for the hotel. He renders impeccable service, very friendly n knowledgeable with finger tips info on places around Ipoh plus the hotel itself! Both my hubby n l enjoyed our stay n wished to be back again.

We had a very pleasant stay at MU Hotel. Our Standard Room was well-appointed and met our needs. It is thoughtfully designed and the beds were very comfortable. Importantly, too, the water pressure and temperature in the shower stayed consistent while in use (we were on the highest floor), something which I so often find lacking in hotels. It was nice indeed to return to a nice shower after a hot day. Service from the front desk was also efficient, helpful, and pleasant. The hotel also offers a free shuttle to the places in the New Town and Old Town and even to the airport(!), all of which were a pleasant surprise to us. We had the services of Addy, the hotel's driver, and he was most helpful and kind. He was not merely a driver, but gave us advice on eating places and things to do. We could tell right away that he clearly enjoys his job! The hotel is located in a quiet area, i.e. not along a main thoroughfare, and is a stone's throw to eateries in the New Town by foot. It was our first time staying here and we'll be glad to do so again.

I would definitely recommend Mu Hotel to my friends as we have good experiences staying at Mu in November 2025. (I was at the regular Mu (not at the budgeted Mu). The hotel staffs are friendly and helpful. The hotel location is convenient to visit the old town / new town, etc. Right across from the hotel there are places for foods, including a dim sum house. The one thing that brought me back to the hotel the second time is the hotel driver who operates the shuttle bus that offered by the hotel. His name is Addy, who speaks relatively good English. Our first stay with MU hotel. Pleasantly surprised by the quality of room, size, linen and upkeep. Walking distance to the main cluster of 'must-visit' shops n food. Bonus - 1 street away from lively flea market - nightly until 11pm - like Taiwanese 'Ye-shi' n public pickelball courts. Thumbs up for their free airport n about town shuttle service. Two thumbs up n special mention to their resident driver Mr Addy - for his great smile, attention to guests needs and knowledge of 'places that locals prefer'. Our party of 8 totally enjoyed chatting with him.

MU hotel have free shuttle service to/from airport and to Ipoh parade I think at certain timing. - So sad I only knew it when we met the Gentlemen Driver after pulling my luggage out to the waiting area for the grab service. - Overall it’s a good stay, it’s a peaceful street easy access by all the cars and grab drivers without Jam too.

Located in Ipoh, Jeff's Cellar at The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat is a unique dining experience set within a 260 million-year-old natural limestone cave. This extraordinary setting offers an intimate and romantic ambiance, making it an ideal place for special occasions like proposals. The cellar boasts an extensive selection of high-quality wines and champagnes, perfect for celebrating with a glass of the couple's favorite vintage or bubbly.
Great food, great place and good service. Fine dining in a cave this was sure a rare experience. A great idea to have the restaurant in the cave. All dishes was well executed and it's worth my money. However for the fine dining setting, personally I think the staff need more training. I gave 100% for the effort of the serving staff but not quite 5 star for me.

Food quality was amazing, we loved everything except some dishes..( personal preference) atmosphere and service is top ❤️

That sourdough from their 5 year old mother dough? Honestly, I could’ve just eaten that all night — crispy, fluffy, so addictive, and yes, they refill it (dangerous but glorious). The wagyu was melt in your mouth good, with mushrooms that almost stole the show. Amuse bouche felt like little edible surprises, one after another. The only “hmm…” moment was the tofu gelato, let’s just say it’s an acquired taste I haven’t acquired yet. Other than that, everything was a solid win!

Best meal I ever had. Truly delectable dishes every bite was simple so delicious. Even a simple sourdough bread was so good. Portions was good considering it is in a fine dining setting. My compliments to the chef. Service went above and beyond, special fallout to our trainee server Yohn even gave us a tour after dinner of the beautiful place and took photos for us!

Celebrating my 24th wedding anniversary there and comment as Food = not so sure as not very used to having fine dining else where but the food was nice and interesting. The main chef did also personally approach us towards the end to ask for our opinion about the food which shown they're really care about customers feedback. Environment = dine inside the cave with a nice and beautiful decorated and lighting every conner makes it really a rare experience. Service = I was mainly served by one Chinese young guy on internship ( can't remember his name) and he is really friendly and doing a very good job. The rest of the staffs was also great too. Verdict = the jeff cellar only served dinner set (min rm625 nett /pax and the prices is not considered cheap but with the top notch services by the team and accompanied by the very rare and beautiful dining surroundings which cant find it elsewhere, it is worth yr every penny. Btw, my wife loves and enjoyed it so much that evening. Tq so much to all the team members at JEFF'S CELLAR.

One of the best dining experience in a beautiful limestone cave. I could stare at it forever. Food was amazingly executed. The Wagyu beef was beautifully executed. Compliments to the chef. Staff was friendly and attentive.

The main draw to Jeff's Cellar is the unique experience of fine dining in a limestone cave. The set up is beautiful. We got the Prestige tasting menu which is the basic one for about RM600 per person without any wine pairing. Food was delicious. But I feel for the service could really have been fine tuned..it was a busy weekend night and the number of staffing couldnt quite keep up. Also the noise levels and music were quite loud. There were people with flip flops and baseball hats...all these things just added up and sort of ruined the fine dining experience.
Neehad B — Google review
Jeff’s Cellar is such a beautiful and romantic place for fine dining. The cave setting is stunning and the food was excellent. We had a small hiccup with a bottle of Chardonnay, as it was not the taste we expected. The situation took some time to resolve, but in the end the staff handled it well and even gave us complimentary champagne, which we really appreciated. Overall, the atmosphere, food, and service made it a very special evening. A must-visit in Ipoh!

Located in Tambun, Ipoh, the Tambun Pomelo GoChin Agro Farm is a family-owned 7.3-hectare pomelo farm known for producing big, juicy, and sweet pomelos due to the limestone-rich environment. The second-generation owner and his staff are skilled at selecting the finest pomelos. Visitors can enjoy an educational briefing from the third-generation owner and sample free pomelos after the tour.
Definitely worth your time to stop if you have your own car. I don't think you need to join a tour - you can wander around the garden m, or just stop at the shop and buy some fruit. The pomelo and Papaya were excellent!

A little messy as pomelos were wrapped in blue bags and under the shade of the trees, garbage and equipment were strewn around. Staff were occupied and busy with visitors n sales. However, it was very interesting to see and understand the farming of pomelos from tree to table.

Need to enter through narrow road. Peaceful place with some animals to see. They have some produce to sell Organic home grown grapes @ RM35/500g

Visited Tambun Pomelo GoChin farm on a hot sunny weekday and it was enjoyable. They sell fresh pomelos from their own farm which goes by season. It’s not always available, according to them. We got per piece ranging from RM 28-38 depending on the size. Nice to stop by if you’re visiting Ipoh. It’s also pretty near the Lost World of Tambun & Ipoh city, not more than 20 min drive away. Overall a pleasant surprise. ☺️

Visited GoChin Tambun Pomelo Agro Farm near Ipoh and had a pleasant experience. The farm tour is free of charge, and you’re welcome to walk through their shaded orchard lined with pomelo trees wrapped in blue protective bags. The environment is peaceful, ideal for a short educational stop. Staff were friendly and informative. They also sell freshly harvested fruits on-site, including their famous pomelos. Prices are on the higher side, but the quality and freshness reflect that. A nice local spot for visitors looking to experience a slice of Tambun’s agricultural charm.

An amazing farm with various fresh fruits. You can take a free walk through the farm. Don't miss their fresh pomelo juice. The people at the shop know pomelo well, they can guide to choose the best pomelo.

Free entry. Parking in front of shop. Very friendly staff/boss (young man) who was enthusiastic to share with us his pomelo knowledge. We learnt a lot about how to choose pomelo. Will love to visit again the next time we are in ipoh, to see if there is the red variant (it was not in season when we visited so we bought the white ones which are supposedly sweeter). They have other fruits such as guava and papaya too. Besides pomelo, they have house products such as pomelo skin candy, pomelo anti-itch spray, pomelo scented room/linen spray and mosquito repellent. All very reasonably priced.

Theme park
Located in Perak, Malaysia, the Lost World of Tambun is a one-of-a-kind eco-adventure destination surrounded by tropical jungles and limestone cliffs. This 40-acre park features 10 theme parks with 88 attractions, including water rides, amusement park activities, petting zoos, and hot springs. It's an ideal escape for families seeking adventure and relaxation. Additionally, the park offers eco-tourism tours to nearby limestone caves.
Such an amazing experience! All integrated into ancient limestone cliffs. There are so many varied areas to explore from petting zoos with a huge variety of animals, to theme park rides (albeit quite small ones), adventure sports like zip lining, water slides, hot springs, and a glow in the dark forest walk. I suggest visiting in that order. We're literally there from 10am to 10pm and the kids loved the entire time. Highly recommended. Hot tip: buy discounted tickets on KLOOK.
Jason F — Google review
f you’re planning to visit the Lost World of Tambun Hot Springs, I’d definitely recommend buying your tickets online beforehand to save time and money. We found Agoda had cheaper tickets than Klook during our visit, so it’s worth checking different platforms for the best deal. As for the hot springs, they were nice but not as hot as I expected. It’s not that they were disappointing, but I think the temperature was adjusted to make it comfortable for everyone, so it wasn’t super hot. Still, the experience was relaxing, and the mineral-rich waters felt soothing. The setting is beautiful and peaceful, making it a great place to unwind. Overall, it’s a nice spot for some relaxation, and the park itself is clean and well-maintained. I’d definitely recommend it, but just keep in mind the temperature of the hot springs might not be as intense as you’d expect.

The Lost World of Tambun is a fantastic destination for families! The mini zoo is well-kept and great for kids to see and interact with animals up close. The water park is the highlight, especially for little ones who love splashing around—there are plenty of slides and pools to keep them entertained for hours. It’s a fun mix of adventure, learning, and play, making it a perfect spot for kids and adults alike. Highly recommended for a family day out!

✨ Lost World of Tambun, Ipoh ✨ A must-visit attraction in Ipoh for families and friends 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦. This theme park has everything — thrilling water slides 💦, hot springs ♨️, petting zoo 🐯, amusement rides 🎢 and even adventure activities like zipline and cave exploration ⛰️. The hot springs at night are super relaxing 🌙✨, while the daytime is perfect for enjoying the water park and theme rides. Kids will love the animals at the petting zoo, and adults can enjoy the natural hot spring pools. It’s really a place that suits all ages! 👍 The park is spacious and well-maintained, with plenty of food stalls 🍔🥤 and resting areas. Parking is also easy 🚗. Since it can get crowded on weekends and holidays, it’s best to come early ⏰ to make the most of your visit. Overall, Lost World of Tambun is more than just a theme park — it’s a full experience of fun, relaxation and adventure all in one place 🌟. Highly recommended if you’re in Ipoh! 🥰

Lost World of Tambun offers an "amazing" and "wholesome" family-friendly experience that successfully combines different park types. The hot springs and interactive petting zoo are consistently the most praised features, creating a magical day-to-night transformation. While the amusement rides are not the main draw, the combination of a water park, zoo, and spectacular natural surroundings makes it a recommended destination for a unique eco-adventure. For the best experience, visit on a weekday to avoid crowds, and consider the day-and-night ticket to enjoy the different ambiances.

Stay in the park from 3pm to 1030pm at night, manage to: 1. Take 3 rides 2. See all animals 3. Feed small animals in petting zoo 4. Visit the luminous forest 5. Dip in all hot spring pool 6. Watch fire show 7. Rest and have dinner The park is quite huge, Walked about 13k steps within that 7hours. Luminous forest is a bit challenging with the darkness and the stairs up and down. Something new, but not really worth all the effort to climb in and out if too exhausted. Did not manage to experience the water park area yet, maybe next time.

My friends and family enjoyed and had fun and surely will comeback for more❤️

Rather complete water park with little zoo, amusement rides, water slides, wave pool, lazy river, adventure park and off course hot spring pools. Animal feeding at the petting zoo and hippo enclosure is a highlight for kids Glamping options here too A bit old but decently maintained. Only annoyed that they do not allow food in and kinda forces visitors to buy from the stores in there. Note that the store opens at 9am but the park opens at 11am

Sunway Lost World Theme Park offers a unique experience with its natural mineral hot springs that glow at night in a jungle setting. The park also features a petting zoo and bistro for visitors to enjoy. While the area is generally quiet at night, it's important to keep valuables close due to occasional snatch thefts. We really enjoyed our visit to this theme park, especially the hot spring pool—it was the best part for us, as we could relax in the warm water after a day of fun. Surprisingly, we also loved their mini zoo. They had a wide variety of animals like capybaras, ponies, zebras, giraffes, hippos, and guinea pigs. Our favorite was the bird zone, where you could walk inside a giant aviary and interact closely with the birds. They also have a tiger feeding show in the afternoon. However, just like many other theme parks in Malaysia, the park was super hot in the afternoon, the food options were limited and overpriced, and some water pools didn’t seem very hygienic.
Kee K — Google review
Hotsprings are not that hot. They say it’s 40+ degrees celsius, but I think with the high number of people at the park, it is actually well below that. There was one pool that was actually warm, but still not that hot. If you ask me, don’t bother.

Great change of pace family activity, and a great way to cool down at the end of a hot Malaysian day! Do your sightseeing during the day and go to Lost World in the late afternoon, early evening. And this place has all the details covered: retail, food/beverage, lockers, showers, and a bit of entertainment. Very picturesque setting, with the park built nestled alongside some of Malaysia's tall limestone cliffs. Prices reasonable too at least in comparison to themeparks in the USA. On the other hand, heavily used men's shower/toilet/changing room did have underlying urine smell which raises cleanliness question, or at least the frequency with which housekeeping staff cleans the area. Never the less, it's worth making Lost World part of your visit, IMO.

Merton Hotel Ipoh offers an industrial-chic vibe with a touch of vintage charm. The 41 rooms feature exposed beams, metal fixtures, and rustic furniture. Each room is equipped with modern amenities including a flat-screen TV, air conditioning, coffee/tea facilities, and WiFi. Services such as wake-up calls and daily housekeeping are available. The hotel's elegant interiors provide a tranquil retreat from the bustling city.
I give this review is because one of the male staff , he was super very helpful and friendly . I can’t remember the name of this staff , but the period 24th-26 th April I stay the hotel he is work night shift . The first room we check in have aircond problems, the day when we back to the hotel after ours plan is almost 1 am midnight . So we realise the room aircond still bad and we request change room , and this male staff was super amazing helpful help us to check any other available room and immediately change a new room for us . He bring us to the new room by himself, this part I can said is super touch our heart ❤️. ( 99% hotel staff won’t do that ) even after being us to the new room he still Keep apologizing to us , how amazing of this male staff ! This is my first review with so long writing , if I will stay back to this hotel mostly is because of this male staff . This hotel should very proud have this staff

I recently stayed at this hotel, booked via Trip.com. Upon arrival, I noticed that the room I was initially assigned had some maintenance issues, such as a malfunctioning toilet light. I raised this with the front desk, and I appreciated the staff’s prompt response and professionalism—they kindly upgraded me to a higher-tier room. While the upgraded room was more spacious, it unfortunately presented a few additional challenges. The toilet flush was not functioning properly, the air conditioning took quite a while to cool the room, and noise from adjacent rooms made it difficult to rest comfortably. Despite these setbacks, I would like to commend the staff for their courteous and responsive attitude throughout my stay. Their professionalism, along with the hotel’s strategic location near popular tourist attractions, were the highlights of my experience. Overall, I’ve rated this hotel 3 stars, primarily for the excellent service and convenient location. With some improvements in room maintenance, this property has the potential to offer a much better guest experience.

Location for me, heading to Cameron but a bit inconvenient for food beverage and etc, definitely need a transport for any hint of meals. Room is spacious and clean and neat, maybe cause I was just in their small Reno period, the hotel is filled with smell of paints... not really pleasant. A bit costly too, over RM200 per night, I think it could have be a "proper" hotel with star with such day rate.

Staying one night in this hotel, i would say its worth the price due to its location (lack of traffic jam/less traffic noise), ample free parking available with close proximity to ipoh city center and friendly front desk. The room was great, hot water available with good pressure, my only suggestions was to improve the cleanliness of the bed as there was a dust and at certain area in the room. Nonetheless a great short stay

Regretted booking here. Incovenient location - grab cars could not find. Room has no windows - claustrophobic. Needed to ask for change of room upon check-in as the first room was filled with cigarette smell. Given new room - shower floor floods, basin tap comes off and phone does not work. No pantry...mixed work desk and coffee making. Worst of all - no fridge...my yoghurt and milk had to be finished immediately.

Comfortable & clean hotel which had lots of space for packing our luggages. It had a pantry area on each floor for free refillable Jasmine tea. There are also massage services which you can opt for during your stay but we didn’t have the luxury of time. The water shower pressure is perfect and the water heater was great. Overall a comfortable and great experience staying at sojourn. It’s close to many locations in the city but not too close that you’ll hear the noise and traffic. I’ll definitely stay here again.

ZB — Google review
4 stars for the hotel (clean, nice & comfortable) but not the spa Disappointing & Unprofessional Spa Experience Visited this spa on 12/10/25 with a group of 8 ladies for their 7-step spa and massage session. We were split into 2 sessions, the 2nd session group had a lousy experience. Due to staff shortages, they reversed the standard treatment, putting massage first and disregarding basic spa practices (e.g., not showering right after a massage). Instructions throughout were unclear, and we were often left unattended — twice we had to leave treatment rooms to find staff. Highlights of poor service: • Told to wipe our own feet after soaking. • No clear guidance during sauna or aromatherapy steps. • Left too long in the salt room, causing discomfort. • Had to dry the treatment bed ourselves before a body scrub. • Only found out about lockers at the end — we’d carried our wallets/phones throughout. • Then handed shower caps and told to put them on our feet before placing them into a foot machine. When I asked why the treatment steps were reversed from their advertised menu, the staff casually replied, “It’s okay to do massage first, due to staff allocation.” That’s not acceptable. No reputable spa should compromise treatment flow and guest well-being to suit internal staffing issues. From wiping our own feet, to cleaning the beds ourselves, lack of proper guidance, and poor communication, this was the most unprofessional spa experience I’ve ever had. This is not a relaxing, well-organized, and customer-focused spa.
Sherene. T — Google review
The building reminds me of a hostel. There is no insulation or soundproofing, but there are hot showers and strong AC. Amenities are good, however staff do not have hospitality background. They are just average service workers, so keep your questions to a minimum. (Small disclaimer for future guests: the spa has limited drinking mugs and they can’t wash them for you. All of them were used, but my throat was dry before massage so I asked if I can drink some water with a new/clean mug, she just quickly rinse a dirty one from the sink with water & pass it back to me. She said they have no dish soap. I think that’s normal for this place.) Good enough for a quick stay!

Xscape Tambun is one of the newer hidden nature resorts in Perak. It's located just a short drive from Lost World of Tambun theme park and offers plenty of outdoor activities to keep everyone entertained.
Xscape Tambun @ Kundig is a magnificent experiential resort/hotel in Ipoh, offering their own unique three adventurous activities - cave exploring, limestone climbing and some zip-line crossing. My girlfriend's family and I only did the cave exploring, which was truly a unique experience (it's not for the weak!). The room was unique as well, with semi-transparent forest wallpapers surrounding the walls and toilet, the entire stay-in experience felt cosy. Overall, I definitely recommend choosing this resort as your holiday destination if you're travelling to Ipoh.

Had TERRIBLE experience while staying there. Had a group of people staying there too and being loud, insensitive and no respect to other guests. The whole stay is so disturbing! Thought this place is more like nature, but nothing is natural with loud speaker and hailer early in the morning. If I want noisy environment I would have booked the glamping rather than the resort. Plus the breakfast is NOT nice! It's my fault for choosing this place thinking a great place for weekend getaway. But if you want a quiet and peaceful staycation, this is NOT THE PLACE! The only good thing about this place is the friendly staffs, otherwise disappointing 😔
Emmayh E — Google review
The location is absolutely beautiful, offering a serene and peaceful atmosphere — ideal for a quick escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The food was decent, nothing extraordinary but satisfactory. However, I was quite disappointed with the room. There was no television, and upon inquiry, the staff informed me that the TV was broken. They offered a room change for an additional fee, which I felt was unreasonable. As a result, there were no in-room entertainment options during the night, and we had to go into town to keep ourselves occupied. Additionally, the bedside lamp was not functioning, leaving us to rely on the bathroom light for visibility at night — otherwise, the room would be completely dark. The bed also had an unpleasant sour odor, which made it uncomfortable to sleep. Overall, while the surroundings were lovely, the condition of the room and lack of basic amenities took away from the overall experience.

Our family of four spent one night here in tambun and booked thru Agoda. It is not near Ipoh city but this resort had spectacular views of limestone hills and caves. It was serene, tranquil and so relaxing here day and night. Rooms were spacious, fitted four of us well and had tv and wifi (free but poor wifi connection due to the height of the hills). The bathrooms had only curtains which my wife loves but for me, not a fan. The room did have a nice febreeze smell but the parts where the pond or river water does not flow smells quite bad. It is a shame that so many facilities need maintenance such as the pool, jacuzzi and bicycles and hopefully it will be improved. Other activities include caving, flying fox and rock climbing. In the evening, we went to nearby lost world of tambun. Staff were hospitable, efficient, informative, helpful and gracious. I didnt have too high expectations on the inclusive breakfast but the nasi tomato, doughnuts and sambal bun were nice and tasty. Overall, we had a truly nice stay here. Assuming the broken things get functioning, things will be somewhat better. We went on a normal weekend, do try to avoid school holidays as the peak rates can get crazily high.

Nestled just a short 10-minute drive from the vibrant heart of Ipoh city, Meru Valley Golf & Country Club stands as a premier residential golf resort. This stunning venue boasts an international championship course set against a picturesque backdrop, making it an ideal spot for both leisure and entertainment. The clubhouse exudes a perfect mix of casual charm and refined elegance, inviting visitors to unwind after a day on the greens.
Meru Valley Country Club is a popular golf resort located in Ipoh, Malaysia. Here’s a general review of the club based on guest experiences: **Pros:** 1. **Scenic Location:** The club is set against a beautiful backdrop of rolling hills and lush greenery, offering stunning views of nature. 2. **Golf Course:** The 18-hole championship golf course is well-maintained, offering a challenging layout for both amateur and professional golfers. Many praise the course for its design and natural beauty. 3. **Facilities:** Besides golf, the club has a wide range of amenities, including a swimming pool, tennis courts, a gym, and a spa. The club also offers well-appointed accommodations for those wishing to stay overnight. 4. **Dining Options:** There are a few on-site restaurants serving a mix of local and international cuisine. The food generally receives good reviews, with particular praise for the local dishes. 5. **Relaxing Atmosphere:** The peaceful and relaxing environment makes it a great place for a retreat or family getaway. **Cons:** 1. **Maintenance in Some Areas:** While the golf course is well-maintained, a few visitors have mentioned that some other parts of the resort, such as certain facilities or rooms, could benefit from more frequent upkeep. 2. **Service Variability:** Although many guests have found the staff to be friendly and accommodating, some have reported inconsistent service, particularly during peak times. 3. **Distance from Town:** The club is situated about 15-20 minutes from Ipoh city center, which might be inconvenient for guests looking to explore the city. Overall, Meru Valley Country Club is highly regarded for its golf course and serene environment, making it a great destination for golfers and nature lovers alike.

The hotel suites are very comfortable and homely. Golf course is a memorable challenge, beautifully carved in a jungle. A personal fave for golf when I visit Ipoh.

RM$220 for seniors Mondays to Thursdays including buggy n shared caddy. Located at foothills of surrounding mountain range, it’s temperature is a little cooler compared to downtown Ipoh. Well kept fairways and greens make it a must play course in Malaysia

Discrimination on service. Receptionist name DAS claim that beginner will play until the golf club fall into the lake and reject to offer us the rental service. Truly disappointed with ur service!

Non golfer .Come for accommodation & foods. Location surrounded by hills. perfect for relexation. Delicious foods from Coffee House.Friendly and helpful staff.

Played at Meru Golf recently — very disappointing. The fairway is not Bermuda grass, the apron was wet and unplayable, and the greens were very slow, below 9 in speed. The weather was hot and dry, yet buggies were not allowed on the course — only on track — because the club said dry soil would cause dust. That reason doesn’t make sense for a proper golf course. For almost the same price as IOI, it's definitely more worth it to play at IOI where the course is well maintained and much more enjoyable.
