Rooms had enough space for storing belongings. Lockers are a good size was able to fit my bag and a small bag inside. Bathrooms were clean and there was alway one available. Shower caddy in the shower stalls was really helpful as well as the hooks. LOTS of stairs. Rooftop was a great place to lounge when wanting to relex but get out of the room. Wifi doesnt quite reach up there though. Location was perfect. Right in the center of the action and lots to do and see in walking distance. Great events options available. Free pancakes were great. I slept on the top bunk bed and unfortunately had no power plug to charge my stuff. There were large metal drawers underneath the bottom bunk bed which I believe were supposed to hold out stuff, but I wouldn't keep my clothes or bags there as it was very rusty. Aircon worked fine and temperature was pleasant. There are no alternative lighting to the ceiling lights so at night if people are asleep you either use your phone (at this point with no batteries) or try your luck in the dark. That was the ok part, and now comes the not as good one. I had trouble checking (11pm), the staff took a few 20 mins to fix the issue and after asking me the same questions 6-7 times (as they didn't know what to do) they had to ask another staff for help. The second person just wanted to enjoy the party next door (mee too!). Unfortunately bathrooms were dirty or lacked toilet paper on the night and morning I was there. I understand I didn't give the hostel much opportunity to change my mind before fleeing the place, but my friends continued there and didn't have much positive points to share. I understand the vibe of a party hostel is to just enjoy and relax and it is my mistake too for trying, but no toilet paper at 8am and the black mold and pee smell in the showers were a bit much for my hostel vibes. Cleanliness is the bare minimum, I believe. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend. But the linked bar next-door is very good.

The hostel itself is well situated and they run activities. it is generally quite clean. It is a very small three story townhouse. The hostel gets cleaned 3 times a day from what I could tell, however it seems to always be a little dirty. This is obviously due to the size of the hostel (tiny) with not that many bathrooms and space being shared by a large amount of people. Plus it is backpackers who stay here which is mainly the younger, less tidiness-concerned backpacker crowd. Many times have I watched one of the cleaners clean a bathroom or the kitchen and twenty minutes later, two people have used it and it’s not that clean again. This is no fault of the cleaners though part of what made me uncomfortable staying here was conversations I heard of the staff being told off for not cleaning the areas properly. How does the manager/s not factor in the tiny size of the hostel and the crowd they cater to? This seemed unfair. I personally thought the cleaners were really lovely, the ones I spoke to, and can imagine didn’t appreciate the lack of understanding from higher up staff. Speaking of reception, I did not get the warmest feeling from the reception staff and there were a few times that reception just barged into the room without knocking and started taking photos of the room. This really contributed to me not liking the hostel and really dampened the mood. The way the building is made gives no good places to meet people, it's cramped, and it's full of kids. I wake up and my back hurts every morning. I've been there for 4 nights, trying to give a chance whithout judging but now I'm leaving for sure. Check in is online, so you don’t have to talk to anyone upon arrival which was a bonus. I stayed in a private room with my partner , when we arrived the room was nice and clean, modern and cozy. But the whole three nights we were there we didn’t have anyone come and service the room. We ran out of towels and our bin was full so we sent a message through the Goki app asking to make sure our room was serviced the next day and they replied saying it will be done, but it never did. There is only staff there during check out and check in times and we were out in the city during these times so we never got to see them. The shower in the private bathroom is awful, very weak water pressure and the shower head had some calcium buildup making the water spray in all directions. The toilet also had a bad smell coming from the sewage. Everything else is okay with the room. It got very noisey at night time, which is to be expected since there’s a bar under the hostel. But what also contributed to the noise levels was that a lot of people hanged out in the hallway at night time and stayed out there until late. Which was super annoying. My booking for a 4 bedroom mixed room was reassigned into an 8 bed female only. Me being the only female in my group there’s a very obvious reason why I didn’t select this option. They ended up splitting up my group all into separate rooms because they didn’t have the space for us. My door code didn’t work after 1 day and the front desk is impossible to get in touch with as it just goes to voicemail immediately. Majority of the guests are French people who live in the facility long term and just treat the place as their own that guests just sleep in. They don’t respect the common space or even your own room when they come in chatting and laughing, turning on the lights when they get back from delivering uber at 2am (I’ve never seen so many uber workers in my life). They constantly leave the kitchen and eating area a disgusting mess, despite the supposed $40 charge for not doing dishes. No rules are strictly implemented so your rooms are a disaster as the floor and other beds are just covered in clothes. Good luck getting a locker… The showers barely work and when they do it takes 10 minutes for the water to heat up. Overall this place is awful, from the service to the facilities and even the guests. Avoid this place at all costs.

When people walked by the corridor the entire room and bed shook. The bathrooms are mixed and absolutely disgusting and I don't think I've been in a worse shower in my life. Would highly recommend not staying at this hostel. (The sister location however at Kings Cross is the complete opposite and is genuinely lovely)

Awful place, dirty, basically breaking by the minute. All showers and toilets locks are broken, not clean, and disgusting. My first impression was, this place belong to homeless people.
