I am not sure why so many things went wrong, it is the first time I came down here and in DC and this was the first place I picked for my family and it turned out to be a disappointment. The milk-tea was good, a bit sweet for my taste but washed everything down just fine. The decor was nice, gives a bit of asial vibe to the place, especially with the Big Godzilla outline on the wall. We ordered the Pumpkin Empandas, they were incredible with a great flavor profile. Ordered the Pad Thai with Chicken and Drunken Noodle with Beef and they were both a bit disappointing. Although, the dish was presented well, the overall dish lacked flavor, just very oily tasting. My wide noodles were way overdone, turning to mush. The beef itself had good flavor. I'd have prefered sliced tomatoes instead of cherry tomatoes and wish I had tried the squid ink noodles instead. Pad Thai was decent, mess of sprouts, not enough chicken, but the egg on top was cooked fresh and crispy. They no longer offer a dessert (they had Taro bread pudding that was a big hit before) and the Thai iced coffee was overly strong, it tasted disproportionately mixed. DC Noodles on U Street was easy to find, lovely interior, and the individuals serving us communicated the menu very well, and were absolutely understanding when it came to asking questions or asking for a little more time. They never left us for too long, or came too soon. Always attentive and friendly. It was comfortable, the indoor temperature was comfortable, the service was tranquil and consistent, and the food was really well made and presentable. The coat hangers were a plus too! A good place to go if people in your group are in the mood to try different styles of noodles/dishes. The curry noodles were good, but our member said that the serving size was very large, but taking it home was no problem! Good food, friendly service, but very disappointing portion size. This place is a multi-floor building, with the bar upstairs and the sushi in the tiny basement. They have a wooden structure set up on the sidewalk where you can order and pickup drinks and food. The street parking in front is currently blocked off to allow for outdoor dining. We mainly came because we were interested in the Temarizushi box set. The presentation was very pretty and the fish quality was good. But these decorated rice ball sushi are very small. One is about the same size as two nigiri and the fish are sliced VERY thinly. Definitely NOT worth $44. The staff were friendly and all wore masks. I did have to wait a few minutes for my order since they didn't have it ready on time. Most likely won't come again.

There was a little bit of a wait if you showed with no reservation but we were whisked right in. The place is big and a nicely decorated open space. The servers were fabulous and incredibly friendly. We liked the food but we're not blown away (As we were for Ma Peche in NYC). The cocktail my husband had was pretty good. Overall a good experience and I would return to see what dinner is like.

The reviews were decent enough that we gave it a shot. We were seated immediately, but waited quite awhile for a server to see us. Continued to have to flag down our server to order drinks and food. Eventually our food showed up (before our drinks) barely warm and flavorless. Our server never came to check in on us during the meal and we again had to flag him down for the check. We stopped by the other night after dinner for a nightcap and ordered a cappuccino and Profiterole "caramel and warm chocolate fudge" to go along with some single malt whiskey. The alcoholic beverages were perfect - not too stiff nor was it watered down. The Cappuccino was just A-OK (better than a Starbucks but found missing in the finish - milk not warm enough and coffee was weak). The dessert was A-OK too - the cream puff under the fudge was a bit too chevy but the rest of the dessert was good. The decor and ambiance of the restaurant is very good and lively and the service was good too. Will have to come back to get a second for this place.
