ベイエリアのど真ん中にあり、活気あふれる観光地。周囲を歩くだけでも気分が上がるエリアで、Waymo（無人タクシー）での訪問もおすすめです。
注文したのは生牡蠣10種の盛り合わせ。時間と予算の関係で滞在は短めでしたが、目の前でのライブ調理も楽しめ、スタッフの対応もテキパキとして好印象。
価格帯はこのエリアとしては平均的で、観光のついでに立ち寄るにはぴったり。サンフランシスコで「間違いないオイスターバー体験」をしたい方におすすめです。

今回観光で行き、私も人からおすすめされたお店で来店。2人だとこの３品でもお腹いっぱいになりますし、clam chowderはsplit（シェア）していただけます！サンフランシスコ近辺でもしご飯に迷ってたら是非おすすめしたいです。

アメリカに留学してたときに知っていたら何度も通っていたであろうお店です。
ピア、フィッシャーマンズワースも有名ですが、ここのclam chowderをおすすめします！
サラサラしていてよくあるclam chowderとは違いますが、とびきり美味しいです！
ピア、フィッシャーマンとも食べ比べましたが別格！Seafood Stew も絶品です！
ランチにサラダとクラムチャウダーを堪能。サラダは野菜が新鮮で美味しくドレッシングにパンチも合ってGood！
クラムチャウダーもとても優しく新鮮なクラムと素材の味が活きていてGreat！開店10分前に並んでスムーズに入店。周りの方はオイスター食べてて美味しそうでした。
日曜日のオープン15分前に並んで、2番目に案内されました。女性二人で三品頼んでちょうど足りました😊Rustic seafood stewは魚介が沢山入っていて、トマトとシーフードの旨みがたまらない絶品です！

店員さんのオススメで注文した牡蠣はぷりぷりでとても美味しく大正解でした。
牡蠣は生、フライ、グリルと選べる調理法も嬉しいポイントです。クラムチャウダーはあさりが丸ごとたっぷり入っていて絶品でした。
スタッフのサービスもフレンドリーで、居心地良く過ごせました。
牡蠣をはじめとしたシーフードメインのお店。
カリフォルニアのワインも豊富。
量は程よく、味付けは濃くなく、景色はよく、楽しく食事ができます。

サンフランシスコ湾を望む、風光明媚な場所にある、すごくおしゃれなレストランです。店内からはベイブリッジを目の前で観ることができます。また建物内部のインテリア、水槽も凝っていて、食事だけでなく雰囲気も楽しむことができます。今回はランチタイムでしたが、夜景の時間に来ると、もっと美しい風景を観ることが出来るかも知れません。
今回、私は生牡蠣2個と、店おすすめのロブスターのサンド、妻はチコリサラダとフィッシュ&チップスを注文しました。また飲み物は、白ワインのグラスと炭酸水を頼みました。食べ放題では無い方の牡蠣は、殻は小振りですが、中身は肉厚で、新鮮で塩味程よく、なんと言ってもみずみずしくて美味しかったです。白ワインに合いました。また妻が頼んだチコリサラダは、初めて食べた抜群の味付けで、家でも真似して作ろうかと思う一品でした。
ロブスターのサンドも初めて食べた料理方法でした。ロブスターや野菜が、ソースに絡まって、美味しくいただきました。また妻のフィッシュ&チップスはも、美味しかったとのことです。これはアメリカのレストランに共通することですが、メインディッシュの量が、すごく多いです。複数の人数で行ってシェアしないと、日本のレストランの感覚では、食べきれないかも知れません。あるいは、少なめに頼んで、追加するのが良いかも知れません。

サンフランシスコの綺麗な景色を楽しみながら美味しいシーフードが楽しめる。生牡蠣が美味しかった。肉もあってステーキもなかなか。ただし、一品ごとの量が多いので頼みすぎにはご注意を！
最高です。貸し切り利用です。ベイブリッジも間近です。
夕方にハッピーアワー、夜はディナーと同じ日に二回訪問笑
ハッピーアワーの牡蠣は1ドルと安いけど小さすぎて日本人の私には満足感なし。これならホグの3ドルのを食べた方が私は好きかな。
ディナーはシーフードのプチプラッター60ドルが二人で分けるにはちょうどよいボリューム！シュリンプ４、クラム３、クラブ５、牡蠣４。どれもとても美味しかった。クラブはアメリカで初めてたべたけど立派！クラムも大きくて満足〜
太刀魚のグリル37ドルは予め二人に取り分けてきてくれました。これもデザートのソルベも美味。
安くはないけど、高すぎ！でもないかな。
雰囲気は抜群におしゃれ、ベイブリッジもフロアの水槽も素敵で、完全にデート向きのお店。
大人4人＋ベビーでディナーに訪れました。
橋の眺めが最高の窓席でした。
メニューはそこまで多くはなかったですが、どれも美味しかったです。
ただ値段が結構高く、チップだけで一万いきました。
子供用のハイチェア、お絵描きセットが用意されました。

Had the tasting menu for two with my boyfriend, Jay and Jackie were attending to us and couldn’t have been more hospitable. Jay paired us with the perfect wine choices for each platter throughout our five course meal. 5 of us, all fish lovers, came for dinner and we weren't disappointed. Most of the dishes we chose were delicious and beautifully presented. The oysters, trout, blue fin tuna, scallops, and sea bream were all outstanding. We also loved the leeks. The hen of woods mushroom and signature potato dishes were not great. Desserts were good, particularly the ice cream.
The service was excellent and the sommelier was truly wonderful helping with our wine choices. The decor was not appreciated as we were surrounded by mounted animal heads, not what one would expect in a fish focused restaurant.
If it was less expensive, I would consider a 5 star review for Angler, but at the very high price we paid, I have greater expectations.

Decided to treat myself to a nice dinner the Friday before the half marathon. The staff all made me feel like I was the most important patron they’d ever had. From the attentiveness to remember small things in passing conversation, I felt like I was among a group of friends. Celebrated my birthday at Angler this year, and my brother and I had a great time. It was his first experience at a Michelin-starred restaurant, and he really enjoyed it. Christian and the team were so hospitable and attentive—it truly made the night memorable, and I’ll definitely be back. Some of the best oysters to date. Got a dozen for the table then went light with their seafood salad, which was very nice, then went straight for 2 great deserts (Pecan Pie and Cheese Cake). Coffee was fantastic. Had a window seat with a great view of dive bombing pelicans. Fun experience. Will explore the bigger fare next time. Excellent food and service. Perfect scenic view and lovely live jazz piano playing. It’s such a gem in the waterfront of Oakland Jack London area. Watching the water taxi ferrying between Alameda and Oakland was quite interesting.
Food- clam chowder was tasty and creamy , I could go for another cup. Raw oysters from British Columbia were fresh and sweet. The house made sauces were great pairing with the oysters. Rockerfella oysters and fish and chips were also fantastic. Crispy and not too salty. Fish was juicy inside with sufficient temperature heat. The string fries were very good. Blue cheese Romain salad with bacon were crisp and delicious. Overall very satisfying meal in a beautiful sunny afternoon .

I have found a change and how they cook their food it's not the same as before. New Management has Vietnamese food choices as well it's different from the Italian seafood Style that we once used to expect from Quinn's when I was there they directed us to the upper floor where the bar. I would give five stars across the board, except I found out what they DON’T have anymore… since it became the Vietnamese restaurant, it stopped being a seafood oyster bar that had monthly Sea Shanty Sing-a-Longs!!!! I am bereft I am heartbroken.
Everyone was very, very nice even though they were really focused on the big birthday party upstairs. We were the only people downstairs eating.
They gave me my Vietnamese iced coffee in a kickass pirate mug, like my friend got her Pilsner in.
Some of the menu offerings are really unique and interesting. I had the Vietnamese Spring Rolls … if you don’t know, Vietnamese spring rolls are fresh, not fried. They are served with shrimp and cilantro with some sliver vegetables and bean thread noodle. They were out of shrimp so I had the chicken. It was a little stiffer than I’m used to but my biggest problem was that it smelled and tasted very fishy. And it didn’t have fish!
My friend had Ahi tuna nachos.
Then I saw the picture of the garlic bread and suddenly had to have garlic bread so I ordered shrimp fettuccine Alfredo—and it was very good!!

We came here to celebrate a birthday and ordered the Peking Roast Duck, Double Skin, Zhen Jiang Spareribs, and Chinese String Beans with Beef and Mushrooms.
The Peking Roast Duck and the Double Skin were both excellent! The whole duck was deboned and came with 24 pancakes, which you can pair with plum sauce and scallions. My favorite dish was the Double Skin; it was my first time trying it. It came with Mung bean noodles, carrots, cucumber, egg crepe, calamari, shrimp, sea cucumber, onions, mushrooms, and pork. The combo of ingredients created a flavorful and unique texture that I really enjoyed. I highly recommend this dish! The other dishes were also quite good.

Came here for an Autumn Moon Festival creator dinner and we had an amazing experience! The space is beautiful (perfect for content), the staff were super accommodating, and the food was so good!
We ordered everything from Singapore-style Chili Crab and Salted Egg Yolk Crab, Peking Duck, baked black cod, and a huge variety of dim sum. Don’t skip the BBQ pork buns with the sugar crust, they’re a must! And we also ordered a couple deserts, salted egg yolk lava bun, egg tart, and the black sesame mochi in almond soup.

The roast duck with buns, fried rice, and noodles were all so tasty. You can really tell they use fresh ingredients and put care into every dish. The Peking duck was solid, if anything a little cold but the flavor was yummy. My favorite dish was the Char Siu, definitely not like the Char Siu we have back with our Canto folks in Tijuana, but it was nice to try the authentic one here!! Got the baked chicken with red sauce. It was quite large and good value. Can't go wrong with a free drink although I felt the coffee was weak and warm not hot. It was hard to wave down our server. It was already 9pm , everywhere else was close . We always order party trays from here for our office and for parities. Guests would ask us where we get our food. Since we never dine in before. We gave this place a try since we were in the area.
We were skeptical in the beginning since Oakland crime rate was high. When we sat down , it was another story. Cops were also enjoying their milk tea in the room. Immediately, I no need to worry about safety.

First, even though it feels like a hole in the wall, the service is top notch, warm and friendly. That is rare in this type of establishment and deserves a shout out. I consider this a hidden Oakland Chinatown gem.
Second, their food is authentic Chinese and some of it is hard to find. The main attraction is the double-boiled soup (燉湯). Ours was bone and heart-warming. We had the abalone soup (#1) and the black silkie chicken soup (#6). These soups are considered to be extremely nourishing soups - there are ones designated for high blood pressure etc. It's also the kind of soup that pregnant women are told to drink. I come here for soup after surgery.
We ordered the set menu for two, which included two soups of your choice, half a steamed chicken, a whole steamed fish, a plate of green steamed vegetable, and two bowls of rice.
My 83 year old Taiwanese mom kept saying she couldn't finish her soup because of all the other dishes. But finish every drop she did, and she clearly loved hers!

We devoured the steam fish so fast that we forgot to take a photo. Not one morsel was left. The steamed chicken was moist and flavorful; the ginger/scallion sauce was great. The vegetable was cooked just right. Their chef is amazing.

Maybe family run? They seem to speak Cantonese and Mandarin.
The herbal soups were good! We tried #8 and #11 chicken with ginseng. Both tasted healthy but I think I preferred #8 a little more. The soups are in the little cylindrical ceramic containers and make a good appetizer/side dish. Fun to get as a part of one of their special combos.
The special dim sum of garlic clams was tasty and pretty fresh. Excellent value for $6.50!
Enjoyed the sticky rice too - well balanced flavors and not overly salty.
The beef tendon with noodles was tender and had a good texture. A smidge salty for my taste but flavorful and a good size.
Fast & friendly service - there was a bit of confusion about how many soups we ordered but got it sorted out.
The bathroom seems to be upstairs so might be a challenge if there are mobility limitations.

A visit to Baja Taqueria is always a high point of any day for me. I’ve tried a number of items on the menu but my favorites are the fish taco and the bean and cheese burrito. I also cherish a stop to the salsa bar to pick up the spicy goodness of a little heat to fire up my entree. Haven't been to this location since I moved out of Oakland back in 2019. The shrimp boil was just as good as I remember, very flavorful. But the gumbo has definitely gone down hill. It literally was the only restaurant gumbo I ever found enjoyable. But what I got tonight was trash. I swear they used to put chicken in it. Marica offers an intimate space where the owner cares for customers personally while her husband runs the kitchen. Cocktails are solid and very reasonably priced for the Bay Area. The mesquite grilled shrimp appetizer was elegantly and generously presented with a mildy spicy and smoky flavor. Might just be the best grilled shrimp I’ve ever tasted - plump and tender, perfectly cooked with a grilled lemon on the side for adding citrus notes. Fish stew was delightful with intense bisque flavors that run long on the palate. The shrimp and white fish can benefit from being added later as slightly over cooked. But hey, I can find fault with anything. Swordfish in lemon beurre blanc was cooked just right and not salty as seems to be the trend. Asparagus perfectly cooked and delicately coated in pistou (pesto without pine nuts) sauce. Creme brûlée was silky in texture with deep vanilla notes, delicately covered with a thin caramelized orange flavored sugar crust and blackberries. Chocolate soufflé exuded bittersweet chocolate notes with light texture, topped by excellent vanilla ice cream which my wife raved about. I was looking for a new place to have a company dinner and phoned Marica to see if they could accommodate. Thomas answered the phone and made the reservation for 11 people seamlessly. Enjoyed Marica over the years for special occasions (our first time was back in 2012 when we moved to the area from SF). Glad they switched back to this format/menu after doing the pizzeria for a bit.
Ambiance & service still 4-5 stars. Food freshness/quality 5 stars. Food preparation 4-5 stars. We’ve tried many items on the menu over the years and have been satisfied -amazed/delighted. The only nit to pick is that dishes at times are on the salty side - a little heavy handed with the salt shaker. Def ask for no or low added salt if you like to watch your salt intake.

I have heard so much about this place and so I wanted to give it a try being that most of the reviews I read were five star! After my visit in the evening that I had, I ended up giving the restaurant a four stars.
The Ambiance is excellent and it's very upbeat and modern, service was good but not excellent.
We had to ask for bread and they brought us this small single roll with four slices. Very stingy on the bread.
The appetizers that were ordered was the calamari and they were a little skimpy on the calamari versus other restaurants that I had visited. The calamari also seemed a little bland even though it wasn't deep fried, but it appeared it was stir-fried with some spices, but it still seems like it lacked something.
For my dinner I ordered the lamb rack and it was very tasty and cooked as expected. The ribs had a good portion of meat and it was seasoned quite well.
My date ordered the seafood stew and she particularly didn't care for it and said that she would not order it again. I tried the stew and it appealed to me however I am glad that I did not make this as my main entree.
Dessert was five stars! We ordered the chocolate mousse with two scoops of vanilla ice cream and that was divine. It made up for all of the previous sins and I would go there just for the desert! All in all like I said I gave it a four stars out of five and would I dine here again? Of course I would!

This is going to be a difficult review, primarily because the dudes at this place are so nice. The service is phenomenal. But I didn't come here for the social aspect. My partner and I's favorite fish spot is in Vallejo. Reason being is after 22 yrs of being in Oakland we still haven't found a stellar fish place. The fried snapper was overcooked, old, frozen fish. So dry the fish itself dried up to a little strip within the overly crisp batter. It also carried that old fish smell. Like either they've been using the same oil for a minute or the fish is just been thawed for a min.
They provide a side and a corn muffin with the meal. The muffin was dry and processed. I chose the greens as a side and they were o-k. Quite honestly the greens were the best part of the meal. I also come from a long line of Black soul food cooks so standards are high. It seems like this place is trying to cook soul food but it's missing the soul.
Once again the guys at this place are super cool and just on that I've given 2 stars. The ambiance and experience you get once you visit this place is part of the appeal.

This review is for the fish only as I haven’t tried the burritos here yet, BUT if the fish is anything to go on, I expect great things!
First, this is a very no-frills place and for me, that’s perfect. The prices are on handwritten signs and the dining area is nothing special, but the fish is GOOD! A regular-sized order came out to five pieces of snapper, placed on top of a good serving of fries. A good value given inflation and everything at $13.95 ($15.38 after tax), especially for downtown Oakland. Even after eating all that fried food, I’m not feeling weighed down, slow, or greasy, which speaks well of the frying temperature and quality of the oil.
I would absolutely encourage people to try this place out as it looks well-loved and frequented by people living in the area, so I’d love to see this place stay open, if not thrive. The woman behind the counter was very nice as well, which I welcomed as another place I’ve ordered fish from downtown had staff that was frankly unpleasant to interact with.
Anyway, would I recommend Off the Hook Seafood & Super Burritos? YES and in particular, I’d recommend the red snapper.
