Peller Estates Winery and Restaurant is a chic, contemporary dining spot located within the upscale Peller Estates Winery. The restaurant offers farm-to-table cuisine paired with wines produced on-site. With its warm and inviting ambiance, the restaurant has garnered attention from both patrons and critics alike. The menu is thoughtfully curated with seasonal offerings sourced from local farms, forests, and waters.
My visit to Peller Estates Winery and Restaurant was an absolute delight! Thanks to the beautiful weather, simply being there was a wonderful experience in itself. The wines were delicious, and our guide, Johnny, was exceptionally professional and friendly, making the tasting experience truly informative and enjoyable. A particular highlight was the opportunity to sample ice wine in a dedicated special area – that really stood out! Don't forget, the tasting glass you're given is yours to keep after the tour, so make sure to take it home as a souvenir. If you're looking to explore expansive vineyards, enjoy delicious wines, and see a pristine winery, I highly recommend Peller Estates. It's a fantastic place for wine lovers and those looking for a beautiful day out.

We ordered the 5-course tasting menu, each beautifully paired with a glass of wine. Every dish and wine pairing was absolutely delightful — full of flavor and thoughtfully crafted. The service was warm and attentive, which made us feel truly cared for throughout the evening. The setting is simply stunning: dining while overlooking the vast, serene vineyard was such a peaceful and memorable experience. The interior design is equally impressive, especially the striking wall behind the counter, which adds to the charm of the space. Overall, it was an experience filled with joy, beauty, and a deep sense of appreciation — I would love to return again and again.

My husband and I had the opportunity to celebrate our 17th wedding anniversary at Peller Estates with our children. The fine dining at The Winery Restaurant was above and beyond expectation from start to finish. Sybille, their lovely hostess, was so kind and welcoming when we arrived. We appreciate her hospitality and kind demeanour. As we were sat, our lovely waitress Julie made our celebration a night to remember. Sparkling wine for my husband and I and two sparkling apple juices for our children (ages 10 and 14). Our 3 course dinner prix fixe meal was divine. We can cannot wait to return next time. I would highly recommend their East Coast Digby Scallop Crudo and their Signature Lobster Linguine. For dessert, their Mille-Feuille were also excellent paired with of course their Signature Series Oak Aged Vidal. Thanks to you Kayla Wall, hospitality manager for ensuring our special night was one to be remembered. Until next time!

I really enjoyed the tour at Peller Winery. It was a great experience to learn more about wines and how they are made, especially since I am not very knowledgeable about wine. The guide was very friendly and willing to explain even the simplest things, which made the visit even better. The wines were delicious and I loved that they gave us the tasting glasses as a gift because they are so pretty. The only downside for me was that the shop prices felt a bit high but overall everything was beautiful and worth the visit.

Peller Estates in Niagara on the Lake is a stunning winery with beautifully maintained grounds and a touch of grandeur. We booked the guided tour, which began a bit slowly outside as we learned about the vineyard’s history and winemaking process. Thankfully, things picked up and became much more engaging as we moved indoors and explored behind the scenes. The highlight was definitely the 10 Below Ice Lounge. It was an unforgettable experience that was really cool 🥶 both literally and metaphoricallyl! They give you large parkas to wear to warm things up a bit. It was such a fun way to end the tour! The wines themselves were enjoyable and reflective of the Niagara region's charm. Overall, it was a memorable experience that started off a little snooze worthy 😴 and finished on a positive note. Highly recommend adding Peller Estates to your Niagara-on-the-Lake wine itinerary!

🍷🍾The wine selection was exceptional, with a fantastic range of reds, whites, and sparkling wines. The Icewine, of course, was a highlight—rich, smooth, and unlike anything else. 🍴🥩The set menu at their restaurant was simply delicious. If you're looking for a winery experience that combines great wine, fantastic food, and beautiful surroundings, Peller Estate is the place to be. I’ll definitely be back for another round of wine and food pairing!

Our group of six had an absolutely fantastic time at Pellar Estate! The winery tour was informative and engaging. Our guide was knowledgeable and made the experience so enjoyable. The wines were delicious, and we loved learning about the winemaking process. After the tour, we had lunch, and the food was outstanding! Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly paired with their wines. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, and the beautiful weather made it even more special. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring we had a wonderful time. Highly recommend Pellar Estate for anyone looking for a great wine-tasting experience, delicious food, and a lovely setting. We’ll definitely be back! A perfect day out with friends! 🍷☀️

The food was delicious and so was the whole ambiance. Cloth and china. Quality service. Back to the food: creatively composed dishes (if anything, a little over the top sometimes — no need to add truffles to linguine with lobster and parmesan from my pov), again: delicious, enjoyable portions. Peller wines. Prices not out of range. After weeks of traveling the US, food-wise not just a relief, but a great experience on its own. The estate as such is beautiful, too. Nice vineyard views and photo spots and — of course — a great wine shop 😉

Restaurant
Masaki Sushi in Niagara-on-the-Lake offers a creative and classic sushi menu, Japanese cuisine, and drinks in a modern and minimalist setting. The restaurant is known for using the finest seafood from Japan to create innovative sushi dishes that blend traditional techniques with contemporary flavors. Their Lunch Specials are highly recommended for a mid-day break, offering high-quality sushi comparable to that of Tokyo restaurants.
After a few nights in Niagara On the Lake, we finally discovered a great dinner spot! The Garlic Soy Chicken Don was absolutely delicious—flavorful and perfectly cooked. The Chicken Karaage was soooo good too! I mean, everything we ordered was so tasty! The green tea ice cream was a refreshing way to end the meal. The staff were incredibly friendly and even complimented my dress, which made my night! 😍

I decided to drop in while visiting the Falls and NOTL. The restaurant is clean and modern. It is a local business run by hardworking owners. The service was attentive. They get 10 stars 🌟. The food was delicious and fresh. It offers a wide list of options from standard to some specialized items that will satisfy your needs for sure 👍. Happy eats everyone 😎

Authentic Japanese experience in Niagara-on-the-Lake! Been to Tokyo/Osaka/Kyoto and this visit to Masaki Sushi rivaled the best of the restaurants in those cities. So happy to have eaten here as we didn’t have reservations but were seated quickly. The staff were so polite, and each of our selections tasted so good. Our tastebuds were so satisfied with each bite. Thank you for a wonderful experience, and will definitely come back for another visit!
Dodson W — Google review
We visited Masaki Sushi for lunch today, and it was our first time there. The restaurant has a quaint, cozy feel. When we arrived, we were the only customers, and throughout the lunch hour there were maybe about 15 people in total. It never felt crowded or noisy, which made for a really pleasant atmosphere. The service was excellent—our server was attentive and friendly. Unlike many other sushi spots, this isn’t an all-you-can-eat place. Instead, the focus is on quality, and I honestly found it much better. The prices are similar to an AYCE restaurant, but the amount of food you get is still very satisfying—especially if you’re a sensible eater. Some meals come with appetizers, and the sushi is prepared right in front of you at the bar, which adds a nice touch to the experience. We also tried the sake, which came with a little note describing the tasting notes—floral, fruity, and so on. It was a thoughtful detail that made the experience even better. The only drawback is that you do have to go down a small set of stairs to enter, which could be a challenge for those with mobility issues. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we’ll definitely be back. Masaki Sushi is a great spot if you’re looking for delicious, freshly made sushi in a relaxed setting.

🍣 BEST SUSHI EVER 🤯🔥 Worth the 1.5 Hour Drive! I never leave reviews unless the food is exceptional or extremely poor. This place easily deserves 5 out of 5 stars. I’d give more if I could. The service was excellent, the atmosphere was great, but the food? Absolutely incredible. My wife and I eat sushi about twice a month at some pretty good spots, but this place blew them all away. We ordered the $165 premium sashimi and sushi dinner for two. Every piece was flavorful, incredibly fresh, and beautifully prepared. They use real wasabi from Japan (not the fake horseradish kind), and their house-blend soy sauce took everything to the next level. If you love sushi, I highly recommend this place. It was worth the 1.5-hour drive. Hands down, the best sushi I’ve ever had and one of the best meals overall. It’s a must-try!

Masaki Sushi in Niagara-on-the-Lake is a standout Japanese restaurant offering authentic cuisine, elegant ambiance, and exceptional service—making it one of the top dining experiences in the region. Knowledgeable servers and the warm hospitality, especially for special occasions like birthdays or anniversaries. Fresh seafood flown in from Japan: The restaurant prides itself on using premium ingredients, including sashimi-grade fish and seasonal specialties. • Signature dishes: Favorites include the Masaki Roll, Dynamite Roll, Black Cod, and Lobster Miso Soup. The presentation is consistently described as “artful” and “Instagram-worthy”. • Sake selection: With over 70 varieties, including a private-label sake brewed in Kyoto, the drink menu is one of the most extensive in Canada

Our table of four had the most amazing experience this past weekend. We ordered 4 different flights of sake and the sake somellier (I should have asked his name) spent a lot of time explaining the background of each of the sake. It was unforgettable. The sushi was expertly made and completed our evening. My partner is also celiac and was guided to the menu options that were gluten free and safe for her to eat.

Went here for a late dinner and they were very accommodating. The service was great and the food was delicious, fresh and refined. The atmosphere was nice and a bit romantic (at least where we sat :) the oysters 🦪 were yummy, and loved my green dragon roll. The presentation was also lovely as you can see. Looking forward to going back the next time in Niagara on the lake.

Ravine Vineyard Estate Winery is a charming and elegant estate located on a fifth-generation family farm. This family-owned winery is renowned for its organic vineyards, award-winning culinary experiences, and picturesque wood-burning pizza oven surrounded by an outdoor bar overlooking the stunning vineyards. Visitors can also explore the on-site grocery store offering delectable cheese and wine to enjoy amidst the scenic vineyard. The cozy farmhouse-style restaurant and bar provide a warm ambiance to savor exquisite cuisine.
From the very beginning, our experience at Ravine Winery was amazing. As soon as we arrived, a lovely lady welcomed us and guided us through the wine tasting, taking the time to explain how everything worked. The supervisor also stepped in to assist, and we were so impressed when she mentioned that the First Lady hadn’t even clocked in yet. We felt terrible we didn’t catch her name to thank her properly. Kyle was fantastic in explaining and suggesting wines, making the tasting even more enjoyable. Afterward, we had lunch, and the experience got even better thanks to Michelle, who was so understanding and helpful throughout. To finish, we explored the little farm with pigs, goats, and chickens, which was such a charming touch to the day. Overall, it was a wonderful experience from start to finish.

Pretty. Super service, some great tasting wines can be had along with hummus and/or a variety of 3 cheeses (Brie, goat’s cheese and another hard artisanal cheese) with smokey mustard, sweet pickled onions and Maple syrup. Wine tasting can also be accompanied by other snacks such as potato chips etc. Full lunch menu is also available. Great views of the vineyard - not particularly extensive but gives you a feel of wine country nonetheless. Great afternoon out!

Ravine is my favorite winery in the NOTL region and has been for years! Located in St Davids, the wines are fabulous, the grounds are beautiful, and the service is outstanding. Utkaresh helped us on this visit and he was awesome describing the wines and ensuring we had everything we needed to have a great experience They have a small seating area inside to enjoy your flight or a large patio area outside. They offer charcuterie boards, hummus and other small snacks. There is also a bakery and full restaurant on premise (note the 3 all operate differnt hours) Their tasting flight allows you to pick 4 wines from their offerings. They have a wide range of wines *4 sparkling in both brut and charmat styles, 9 whites, 1 rose, 7 reds, and 1 ice wine were available. We shared 3 flights and a glass of ice wine so we tried 13 of their offerings and enjoyed all of them. My favorites were the sparklers, rose and oaked chardonay. This is a MUST stop on your NOTL visit My rating rationale for beer, wine, or spirits: +1 Service +1 Atmosphere/Vibe +1 Taste/Quality (Flavor, aroma, and overall quality of the beverage) +1 Presentation (Glassware, garnishes, and visual appeal of the drinks) +1 Selection/Variety (Range of beer, wine, or spirit options and uniqueness of offerings

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great place to visit! Amazing service — truly beyond expectations. The staff was friendly, the wine selection had great taste and variety, and the cheese tray was absolutely delicious. Everything was quite pocket-friendly compared to other wineries. What impressed me most was their attention to detail — they happily accommodated my food sensitivities and provided gluten-friendly crackers at no extra cost! Our server, Shennel, was exceptional and made the experience even better. A lovely spot for everyone — even kids can enjoy snacks and sodas from the Greenhouse and play in the huge open field within their parents’ sight while the adults relax and enjoy the wines. Highly recommended! 🍷🧀🌿

After having a number of fantastic wine and dining experiences at Ravine we decided to celebrate our wedding at Ravine Vineyard this August and it was the best decision ever! This venue is like no other and we couldn't have asked for a better experience and a more beautiful day. The venue aesthetically is stunning and feels both upscale but also relaxed. The food and drink is of a very high quality and the patios and event spaces are bright, spacious and very welcoming! In the weeks leading up to our big day our planner (Abby) was helpful, responsive and really put our minds at ease. She was extremely accommodating with requests and provided some thoughtful recommendations throughout the process. Abby and the day of coordinator work with all our vendors on the day and and overall it was such a relaxing day. Most of our guests traveled from abroad and it was clear to us they were very impressed with everything that Ravine brought to our day. Overall a wonderful experience and would highly recommend Ravine for a celebratory event or special occasion!

We stopped in on a quiet Wednesday and had an amazing view of the vineyard. Tons of shaded seating outside but also a cute indoor tasting room as well. A wide variety of wines including some amazing bold reds. The whole selection of wines tended towards being more dry which I greatly appreciate. Staff were friendly and helpful! Highly recommend this winery!

This was our fifth winery in two days and wow what a pleasant surprise! Warm and inviting atmosphere! Loved the seating area…a lot of space to gather. The view of the vineyard is spectacular. Victoria was of great assistance providing us with history and knowledge of the winery. This is the winery that sold me on white wine. I am not a white wine drinker, but when I tasted the Patricia Block Riesling , I was sold! This wine tasted so magical! Then another that I sampled was the Riesling ice wine which again Is something that I have not enjoyed in many years. My colleagues had ordered this as part of their wine flight of testing but I had not. Victoria thought to bring me a sample of the Riesling ice wine with the thought that I may change my mind on ice wine. This Riesling ice wine was pure silk, the liquid just sat on my tongue with just the right sweetness! It was just a wow moment. Thank you so much, Victoria. I cannot wait to sit with my husband and enjoy these Rieslings.

The Prince of Wales Hotel is a luxurious Victorian hotel offering elegant rooms and suites, fine dining, an indoor pool, and a spa. Built in 1864, the hotel exudes old-world charm with its rich chocolate brown decor and Victorian aesthetics. The rooms feature a blend of traditional and modern elements, from floral wallpapers to four-poster beds. Guests can enjoy the famed afternoon tea in the light and airy drawing room or opt for the charcuterie and panini bar.
The hotel itself has a grand feel to it. Frozen in time in a perfect way. Where other properties attempt to capture this quality and fall short, The Prince takes you back in time and wraps you in elegance. The main dinning room, Noble, has a great menu with a variety of local offerings. During our last stay we were taken care of by an exceptional individual named Taylor. His knowledge of the entire menu was extraordinary. His assistance with a local wine selection was fantastic as well. Truly impressive. He made our evening. Our room was well appointed and met all our expectations. We were very impressed with the balcony. This provided a lovely spot for morning coffee and evening drinks. Anyone looking to book a room at this hotel might suffer a little sticker shock at the prices but when it comes to location, quality and attention to detail The Prince of Wales cannot be beat.

I was my pleasure to stay at this beautiful hotel that shows pride and loyalty to their patrons. The staff is well mannered and kind. The main lobby is showcasing beautiful art and gives you the feel of old charm mixed with modern amenities. Our room was clean, spacious and tastefully decorated. It gives you the feel of regal opulence. The housekeeping staff is well trained and appreciative. There are many staff members working hard to keep this place extremely beautiful and in order. The maintenance, housekeeping, gardeners, the front desk… all of you make us returning guests feel welcomed and happy with your care and great attitude. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Afternoon Tea was just ok. My sister came for a visit from out of province and I made a reservation well in advance. My 9 year old grand daughter joined us for both her and my sisters first afternoon tea and trip to Niagara on the Lake. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation and the hostess seemed quite flustered and told us to wait in the lobby as the first seating was still there. Not sure what that meant as there were empty tables and we had a reservation. We waited and then the three of us were seated at a table for 2 with a small round table next to us. It was in the glassedin area. It took over 40 minutes to get tea and the food was ok. Actually the bread on the cucumber sandwiches was stale and hard and the smoked salmon ones were slightly better but the bread was also hard. The scones, pumpkin tart and egg salad croissants were very tasty. We were not able to keep our tea pots on the table and it was awkward to eat as the small table was so crowded. The host came by at one point and asked if we wanted to move to the inside room but we were settled and trying to keep it upbeat for my granddaughter who was super excited to be there. There was a table for 4 in the corner across from us that was empty and remained empty the entire time we were there. All that to say we were happy to have done an afternoon tea but wouldn’t recommend this place for service or food.

Words are not enough to describe how wonderful this hotel is! The greeting and registration process was smooth and a very warm welcome. The rooms are probably the best I have stayed in. I was here to celebrate my 65th Birthday and staff could not have done more to help me celebrate. Drinks in the Churchill bar were exceptional as was the dessert. Service was so warm and friendly. The atmosphere with a live pianist was brilliant. I cannot express how fabulous this hotel was and how fantastic the staff were. I would, without hesitation, recommend this hotel. I am already planning a revisit in the near future!! Infact we extended our stay by a day!!

The hotel is decorated beautifully for Christmas. My husband booked the “Romance Package”. Everything was lovely. Restaurant was good. My suggestion is the rooms need upgrading. I realize there is a “vintage” feel to them. However, the room we were in had carpet that was buckling and we tripped over several times. I guess you can’t control heat in the rooms, so we had to open the windows to get some air circulating. This is not a cheap venture for two nights. We travel a lot and just feel rooms could be improved.
Maureen U — Google review
I went in really expecting a lot from a vintage luxury hotel experience. The staff are friendly, high tea was delightful, dinner at Noble was great. But the rooms… the bathroom has black mould in corners, tub stopper didn’t work, and when I pulled it out there was black gunk on the underside. Also, the edges of the bathroom floor were dusty and hairy. So, disappointed and a bit grossed out. Great location. Not sure I’d return though because I like my rooms clean and for the price I expected more — though a clean bathroom is a basic ask.

We did not stay at the hotel, just visited the restaurant, but they clearly prefer a specific clientele, and my wife and i did not meet their standards. My wife and I went for our 15th anniversary. We didn't have a reservation, and were asked a few odd questions, like if we were staying at the hotel, which wasn't strange in itself, but was followed by where are you from, why did we come to this restaurant, and have you been here before. If it was conversational, it would have been okay, but it felt like an interview. We were then told that they could get us a table, but it would be a 15 minute wait. When I agreed, the hostess said it could be longer, it could be 30 minutes or more, and 15 is just the minimum. That felt strange, too, but I agreed. This is the strangest part, after about 15 minutes she came to get us and show us to our table. There were more empty tables than occupied tables, and they were all clean, so what was the wait for? The room we were taken to had 6 tables and only one was occupied. (See photos) It felt to me like she'd hoped we would leave rather than wait for a table. The waiter was stiff and not too friendly at the introduction, but loosened up as the evening went on. I got the impression he was meant to ward us off from coming back, but soften a we were very friendly to him. The menu doesn't have many options, and the portions are small, especially for the price, but I guess that's high-end dining. I won't be going back, which I suspect is what they wanted. Tip: We went to Gelato di Carlotta for dessert. I bet much recommend that place! It was very good. If you're in Niagara-on-the-Lake, skip the Prince of Wales restaurant, but go to Gelato di Carlotta.
Troy N — Google review
My wife and I went for our wedding anniversary. Made reservations in advance for a king bed and Concierge gave as room 180 upon check in, this room has a powerful strange smell, and is next to the service/linen closet which has employees in and out with towel services and becomes extremely noisy. I asked for a change of room and according to them I was given an upgrade to room 115, the cottage as they call it. This room was not any better, we got downsized to a queen bed. The room had cobwebs on the ceiling and on drapes, there are curtains on the bed headboard, also like to mention the dust falling from the drapes onto our pillows. The pillows are described as "premium pillows " on their website, but not these ones, they were all lumpy. The mattress sinks in the centre, which made sleeping very difficult and uncomfortable. While staying in room 115, we could smell smoke and other scents, and noises. It turns out that behind the bed headboard drapes is a door to another room and is taped with gray duck tape. It's not properly sealed and every scent and noise from the other side was heard. Upon checkout, the Concierge did not ask us about our stay, otherwise I would have mentioned all of this. The rooms do not reflect the price paid. Avoid these rooms! Breakfast was the only good experience about our stay.

Nestled in a cozy, wood-clad setting, Niagara's Finest Thai is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Thai cuisine. This charming eatery serves up beloved classics like spring rolls and spicy basil beef, but it’s their red curry that truly steals the show. Known for its rich flavor and spiciness, this dish features high-quality beef that elevates the experience beyond typical Thai fare.
It was to be expected for this place to be a little on the busier side, since it’s Mother’s Day, but the service was still outstanding! The food was great, I got my food within a reasonable amount of time, the service was great. I couldn’t ask for more than that! Definitely a place to come and check out if you’re in the area. Worth your time, worth the money, worth the experience!

I’d recommend making reservations. The main courses were very good. Price point is high for portion size but within reason for being in the heart of Niagara on the lake. The ambiance is nice, and it’s a beautiful, convenient location. When we went in, it wasn’t very busy, but the service was lagging at times. Very polite staff. We ordered “After 8” martinis, and when they were brought to us we were told the garnish and the after 8 chocolates were all out. It was disappointing and we wish we had of been told before they were made and brought to us so we could have had the option of changing our order.

Had dinner at Niagara Finest Thai. It wasn’t the best dining experience overall. The red wine sangria was a bit too sweet and overpowering for my taste, and the coconut soup tasted more like milk than rich coconut flavor. The ambience was okay, comfortable but nothing standout. Still giving 4 stars as the service was decent and the menu had variety, but there’s definitely room for improvement 🤗

If you like Thai food you cannot miss this place in Niagara on the Lake. Food and service was great in this beautiful restaurant. Our Server Carol really looked after us with a smile. A great experience overall. Thank you.

This review is only for the food we ordered! The lowest review I ever did. First, lets talk about the tomyum soup! Just for the tomyum alone cost $14 and plus $5 for 3 pcs large shrimp. This is a robbery! Imagine if I didn’t add the shrimp 1 cup of soup with a bit of mushroom will cost you $14 not fair and worst was I can not even yell if its tom yum or just a sour and salty clear soup. Way too far from the real tomyum even fusion tomyum soup. 👎👎👎 Chef pad thai special? 👎👎food court pad thai taste even way better. Their appetizer 👎. not even their “famous” coconut shrimp taste good. Just a bad decision to choose these place. Not living up to the their 4.2 google reviews and 4.7 open table review. Will not go back to this place wasted my money. However if you want good service then this is the place you want to be.

It was busy so we sat at the kitchen viewing bar. It was fun. Ordered satay, Tom Yum and the cashew sauce with shrimp; three dishes that the two of us shared. A glass of white wine for the wife and a glass of the draft ipa for me. Good flavours, not overly salted or greasy. The spice heat was spot on. Glad we picked this place instead of pizza/pub fare.
Mike B — Google review
We decided to try this restaurant and ordered takeout to our hotel in NOTL. Unfortunately, it was disappointing. At prices of $30 per dish, we expected larger portions. We paid over $100 for 3 dishes. We ordered the regular pad Thai, vegan pad Thai and green curry. The green curry was okay, but lacking in flavour, the pad Thai was white in color with no flavour or sauce whatsoever and tasted like plain boiled noodles with some random veggies and tiny pieces of tofu. The service was friendly, but if you are looking for authentic and flavourful Thai food this is not the place to find it.
Miranda G — Google review
The host was really nice. Server was overbearing and tried to take our food away before we were finished. Food itself. Tom yum soup was appalling. Tasted like salty water with two prawns in a tiny bowl for $14. Would’ve been fine with the portions if the broth itself tasted anything like Tom yum but it didn’t. Warm salt water. The appetizer platter was all frozen stuff you can get from the grocery store. The pad Thai was great though and the curry was acceptable. I give the food 1 star however because how can a Thai restaurant screw up Tom Yum soup so bad???

Bakery
The Pie Plate is a charming cafe that began as a family bakery in 2003 and has since become a popular local destination. They are known for their delicious fruit-filled pies, house-baked pastries, gourmet thin-crust pizzas, and unique sandwiches made with locally sourced ingredients. The menu also includes an ever-changing selection of small plates and distinctive cocktails that pair perfectly with local craft beers and wines.
Have been coming here for a number of years. I know pastry is a personal taste, but in my books, The Pie Pate makes the best pastry and one I hope to be able to copy some day. This plus well filled pies and tarts make these items the best I have ever had. This expertise and attention to detail can be found in their other baked goods, including the breads. We had a late lunch and got sandwiches. I had the turkey avocado, and my husband had the Italian deli on Ciabatta ( if not, it was focaccia). These did not disappoint, and both could have been shared with another - saved for lunch the next day - and were just as good. Local wine and beers/ciders are available. We have bought their frozen goods to take home and was not disappointed. Almost forgot...coffe is great as well. My only fault this las t visit was having 3 gentlemen who came in after me were served before me... not unusual for me as I am short and often not seen behind glass and deli counters. Staff are very friendly and helpful. If you like baked goods, then this place needs to be on your list.
Sheena E — Google review
Tried a few different slices here — grape pie, chocolate cream pie, and strawberry rhubarb — and they were all excellent! The standout for me was definitely the strawberry rhubarb pie. Unfortunately, the coffee was a letdown. It was much too bitter for my taste, and I couldn’t finish it. That said, I’d definitely come back for the pies... they’re worth it!

Absolutely loved our visit to The Pie Plate in Virgil — what a gem! From the moment we arrived, Lola’s warm and thoughtful service made us feel right at home. She welcomed us with a smile and a refreshing glass of cucumber water, which was the perfect touch on a summer day. The food was fantastic — the pepperoni pizza had a perfectly crisp crust and bold, savoury flavour. The salmon croissant sandwich was buttery, fresh, and beautifully balanced, and the quiche was light, creamy, and full of goodness. Every bite tasted homemade and full of care. The iced coffee was also a standout — smooth, bold, and refreshing without being too sweet. Between the cozy atmosphere, delicious food, and Lola’s incredible hospitality, it was one of the best stops we’ve made in Niagara. Highly recommend!

Peach pastry was amazing😍 I don't know the official name but almost half peach was in the pastry. Since we loved it so much, we stopped by the next morning to bring back home. Unfortunately, it sounded like that was a random deal and they didn't make it again. Latte was good and beautiful, and the girl at the counter was sweet as well. Please make Peach pastries again. We may drive 3.5 hours from the U.S.!?

Delicious food. Great coffee. Great service. What else do you need? Well they serve beer too, so they have everything you need! I would highly recommend stopping here for a coffee and a snack!
Jessey R — Google review
Honestly, great sandwiches and baked goods. Unfortunately, the service is not good. This is my second time here and both visits were met with bad service by the same woman. The staff working on the sandwich counter was clearly upset and was raising his voice towards the woman to help the older staff ringing us out. We asked for our sandwiches to go and it wasn't communicated. The woman had to bring it back to the kitchen to be wrapped. One of our friends sandwich was taking a very long time to be made so we started eating our food. Since we've been starving, when her sandwich arrived, she took a moment to take a bite and the woman comes over and asked in a very rude and annoyed manner.. "I thought you guys wanted it to go?" We just waited 20 minutes for sandwiches and watched service. You're choosing to work in service. Front of house. Be kind. Be nice. It's unfortunate that this bakery serves good food but the staff and quality of service deters customers from coming back.
Katrina S — Google review
We ordered the artichoke tart and the ham and cheese sandwich. It was a bit chaotic when we arrived—there was no clear line, and some customers who came in after us were served before us. We were in a bit of a rush, so that was frustrating. That said, the person at the counter was very kind, and the food was decent for the price. It’s a place we’d return to. Unfortunately, we didn’t get the chance to try one of their fruit tarts, but we’re planning to next time.

Peach pie and peach loaf were excellent. You can tell they are made from natural ingredients and local fruits. One of the best pies I ever ate !

Mediterranean restaurant
Gyros on the Lake is a family-run restaurant that specializes in gyros. The food is delicious and affordable, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant has limited seating, so be sure to arrive early if you want a chance at obtaining a spot.
Nestled in the picturesque town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, Gyros By The Lake is a delicious little spot that’s easy to fall in love with. The gyros are packed with seasoned meat, fresh veggies, and soft, warm pita, simple, satisfying, and full of flavor. We ordered five gyros and three Greek salads for takeout, and everything was perfect. Just a short stroll from Queen Street, you can enjoy your meal in a nearby park with views of Lake Ontario. Great food and friendly service!
Ken H — Google review
Having discovered this restaurant through an online search, we were under the impression that it would offer an authentic Greek dining experience. However, upon our visit, we observed that the dishes appeared to be pre-prepared and produced using industrialized methods. While the quality was not unsatisfactory, the authenticity of the cuisine was certainly questionable.
Sahar — Google review
Located in the heart of the bustling tourist area of NOTL , this charming little restaurant is the perfect spot for visitors seeking a delicious meal. The menu features a delightful array of options, with a particular highlight being their mouthwatering gyros, which are perfect for a quick and satisfying bite. The staff here are attentive and well-trained, ensuring that every guest feels welcomed and well-cared for. Despite its small size, the restaurant is meticulously maintained, offering a cozy and inviting atmosphere for diners. I highly recommend this spot if you're looking to grab a casual yet tasty meal while exploring the sights of Niagara-on-the-Lake. I can confidently guarantee that you won't be disappointed with your experience here!
Zied S — Google review
Stumbled into this spot for an early dinner after a long day of walking, and it turned out to be such a pleasant surprise. We’ve always loved Mediterranean food for its balance of flavor, nutrition, and freshness, and this place really delivered. We ordered a platter with pita, rice, veggies, Greek salad, beef and lamb, plus a chicken gyro. Everything was freshly made and full of flavor. The pitas are warm, fluffy, and fragrant with the aroma of wheat. Portions were generous too; we couldn’t even finish and ended up bringing plenty home. Prices are very reasonable, especially given the touristy location. Staff were friendly, with water and drinks readily available. Whether you’re looking for a quick bite, a sit-down meal, or something to take away, this spot is definitely worth a visit.
Wei O — Google review
The restaurant was clean (including the bathroom), the service was decent and polite enough, and the meat (the beef and lamb) on the gyro was very, very good. I was very happy to see that the meat was actually sliced off the the big spinning vertical grill thing and not frozen slices (big difference in flavor and oiliness). On the other hand, the place is not the cheapest (though also not terribly expensive, given its location), and the portion size on the gyro and pita quality left me wanting. I'd be willing to pay more for the gyro if it was stuffed a bit thicker and had some extra vegetables. We also tried the spanakopita and the poutine. The spanakopita was pretty good, and it was a nice touch that it was served with tzatziki; it was as tasty as I'd hoped, so no complaints here. The poutine used those "Colossal Crisp" battered fries that a lot of shawarma places use that are pretty damn good. However, the cheese was mid (vegan? Idk...it was definitely not cheese curds) and the vegan (!) gravy was a bit metallic and not very flavorful, though I wouldn't say it was inedible. Overall, I wouldn't recommend you get it unless you actually are vegan. If you're craving a gyro, this place is pretty satisfying. It's also considerably less heavy compared to a lot of the other Shawarma places in the Niagara Falls and St Catherines area, and you won't necessarily feel like you need a nap and a trip to a cardiologist after. I'm somewhat conflicted about whether to give this place 4 or 5 stars, but as none of the issues were bad enough to warrant severe criticism, I don't want to be the guy to tank their score for nitpicky reasons, so I'll give a 5 with the caveat that it's a soft 5. For that reason, I do recommend this place and give the staff kudos for running a pretty tight ship. I would recommend that they specify that the poutine is vegan in the name of the item and offer some customizations for meat quantity or vegetables, which would take this from a soft 5 to a hard 5.

Flavourful, well seasoned Chicken and Beef & Lamb Gyros 🥙 . Service is top notch. Sauce is not over powering and perfect yum on the 1st bite. Thanks for the great meal.

Great spot for a delicious meal while in NOTL. It was quick, delicious and the perfect pairing to the lakeside views in the park. The portions were a good size and it was conveniently located within walking distance to the park or a bench. The food was delicious as well. Will definitely try again when I am in town. There is very minimal seating inside so plan accordingly.

Came from out of town and wanted to find somewhere that would be affordable and delicious. I stumbled upon this gem, and it was amazing! They give you great portions at a very good price, and the food is absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was very cozy and they had a cute little table seat right in the front window, which I loved 😍 If you're looking for some place less touristy in Niagara area go here!

Fine dining restaurant
Tiara Restaurant, located at Queens Landing Hotel in Niagara-on-the-Lake, offers an elegant dining experience with locally sourced Canadian cuisine and a patio that provides stunning views of the harbor. The restaurant is known for its 5-star farm-to-table flavors and award-winning regional wines. With a magnificently appointed dining room, it's a popular choice for locals and visitors alike. The menu features delicious culinary creations such as the Maple Brined Pork Chop and Banana Fosters Cream Pie.
Lovely place to have cozy dinner experience. Place is not crowded and pretty quiet 🤐 Food is good but there is more room for improvement. Spaghetti with tomato sauce felt lack of flavour. Tomato sauce needs to be more bright and flavour supported by spices and salt. The one we had was pretty blank and can be simply described as “just a plain tomato”. Chicken Cordon-Bleu is a decent main course option. The only thing we’re missing is cheese in it since “Cordon Bleu Hen” must have both ham and cheese. Also veggies were blank as well. Big contrast between flavourful chicken and zero-taste veggies 😞

Lovely restaurant service was immaculate scenery Was beautiful my only complaint if there was one everything looked a little dated. Had the Cornish game hen was absolutely delicious My partner had the risotto and raved about it.. as an appetizer we had oysters which I thought was a little overpriced at $47 for 12 but were presented beautifully Overall, the restaurant was fantastic. The service is second to none. Our waiter knew how to pair every dish with wine and his choices were perfect.

I've had dinner here now 3 times on the Queen's Landing Sunday night package that includes 1 night stay and dinner for 2 at Tiara. The food has always been excellent, is fresh and the portions are very generous. The shrimp and mussel appetizers are a must try; the sauce for the mussels, I could drink it from the bowl (however, I fought the temptation to do so...). The steak was cooked to perfection and even having it as leftovers the day after the meat was still tender. The service is also top tier. The staff clearly take pride in their work and their friendliness is sincere and welcoming. I have at at dinner at Pillar and Post and the Prince of Wales...this is by far the best restaurant in the Vintage Hotel chain. I highly recommend!!

Nestled in the back of Queen's Landing in NOTL. Our group of 4 were in town for the Sunday and decided to tryout this very nice restaurant. We had our options of in town restaurant or winery restaurant to choose from. We have visited winery restaurant last time, so this time we went to try this place that was fairly highly recommended. Food was very good, expectations for the food and service were met, the atmosphere was ok as the scenery out their windows was a marina. We had tried a few appetizers and entrees. Appetizers: 1. Octopus calabrese 5/5: very well made, soft texture, beautifully presented. 2. Canadian Burrata 4/5: nicely made and presented well. 3. Baby Gem Ceasar salad 4/5: well made, boar bacon could have been cut smaller to pair better with mouthful of halved romaine lettuce with dressing. Entrees: 1. Saffron Linguine 5/5: very well made, the seafood broth was rich and flavorful. Pasta was nicely made, not over cooked. Order again: Yes 2. Roasted Game Hen 5/5: another greatly made dish, very tender and flavorful, skin was nicely roasted. Order again: yes 3. Grilled pacific Halibut 3/5: large gnocchi pieces, fish was well cooked but lacked deep flavor and presentation. Order again: no 4. Steak (ribeye) and Potato 4/5: nicely made and presented. Was fairly standard and didn't stand out. Order again: maybe Desserts: 1. Citrus olive cake 4/5: presented well, was ordered out of interest. Order again: maybe 2. Flour-less chocolate cake 4/5: well presented, taste and resembled chocolate fudge brownie. Order again: no

Today, I had the pleasure of visiting Tiara Restaurant once again for their delightful Sunday Brunch. As always, it was a truly wonderful experience. The spring sunshine made for a cheerful day, but every visit to Tiara feels perfect—rain, snow, or shine. This time, it was just the two of us, seated at a lovely window table overlooking the garden patio and the serene Niagara River. The gentle presence of birds, passing yachts, blooming flowers, and warm sunshine, paired with the delicious food and the exceptionally kind-hearted service from Gerardo, created yet another unforgettable memory. A special mention to the seasonal addition of freshly shucked oysters—they were incredibly sweet and creamy. Thank you to the entire Tiara team for making our day so special!

This was a lovely meal to celebrate my parents’ 51st anniversary as well as Father’s Day and a belated Mother’s Day. The food was delicious (we shared the breads and spreads and all had the steak meal—perfectly done!) and the service was wonderful. During dessert, our server (Kevin) brought us four complimentary glasses of Prosecco to celebrate.

While staying at the Queens Landing Hotel, we went to the Tiara Restaurant for their breakfast buffet which was available earlier in the morning before their big brunch began. The restaurant is gorgeous with its large windows overlooking the river and marina. There is plenty of seating for intimate and large group gatherings. Our waitress was super friendly and very attentive. The coffee was delicious; I liked that they left a coffee pot at your table to help yourself to and not have to wait for someone to fill your cup. The brunch offered a good variety of breakfast staples, fresh fruit, and sweet treats. The eggs that day were scrambled but we were told you can literally ask for any type of eggs and they’ll make them on demand. They also offer menu items which looked equally appetizing but you really can’t beat the price of the breakfast buffet!

Restaurant
Bar Ruffino, nestled in the charming Niagara-on-the-Lake, was a cherished Italian eatery that radiated warmth and community spirit. Founded by Ryan Crawford, this restaurant aimed to create an authentic Italian dining experience reminiscent of home-cooked meals shared with loved ones. With its roots tracing back to a carhop during the pandemic, Bar Ruffino quickly evolved into a beloved family destination known for its Naples-inspired cuisine.
Was thoroughly impressed with their wine selection and the service was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. I'm happy to see Spanish products well represented here in Ontario. The food was delicious, every bite was flavourful, well crafted and the oysters were some of the best I've ever had. Keep doing what you're doing! I'll be back for more 🌿

We were so happy to have found this place especially at a later time of the day. We were looking for an open liquor store after a long day of going around the town. The person we talked to is truly helpful in choosing wines. We were able to purchase some bottles that we shared that night with friends and gave some as gifts since they are not from here. The store is clean and very organized. There’s enough lot for parking. We would really come back here and try their other wines for sure.

Fantastic. We had dinner there last night with two other couples. Each person picked one item from the menu to start then we went from there. Our server helped with the portions, she was also very, very helpful with the wine selection. The food was perfect, the ambiance was perfect and the service was perfect. We all loved it and plan on returning independently or with another group. Highly recommend it if you want something a little out of the ordinary. 😀

Average to decent experience overall, but fishy-tasting overcooked octopus. We couldn't finish eating more than half the octopus and on the first incarnation of our bill we were weirdly overcharged by $4 for it ($36 instead of $32) Excellent greens and dates. Tasty churros. $200 for 2 people for dinner including one drink each. Probably won't return. (It's no "Rest".) Lovely booth seating. Strangely, the restaurant repeatedly phoned me 16 and 17 minutes after we arrived and checked in and had long been seated, to ask why we weren't there yet. 😄 I had made a direct telephone reservation with BarBea a few weeks ago.

Visited Chef Ryan Crawford's new wine and snack bar. An extensive list of wines and an amazing tapas selection. They do various tastings. We tried the "Amazing grapes" and "Women crushing it" samplings. The first one focuses on some different grape varieties and the second one focuses on women winemakers. We found the second tasting really nice and we discovered some really interesting wines. The tapas selection is pretty varied. We tried the duck liver mouse, dry aged pork, and croquettes. All were really nice. This is an excellent place to discover some interesting wines, and it is hard to go wrong with the tapas on offer here! Will be back for another tasting! Update after dining on March 15/2024. Have to change my review and wouldn't recommend this place in its current incarnation. Went for a dinner with the family and both the service and food were sub par. Many items we tried to order were not available. And the ones that we were able to get were lackluster in presentation and quality. Service was also quite slow. As much as I have enjoyed dining here and at their sister restaurant next door in the past, I doubt I will be back after this experience.

I've been coming to bar bea since it opened and it's sister restaurant ruffinos (Backhouse) for years. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Canada. Yesterday I dined there solo. And it nearly blew my head off. The menu changes with the seasons, with some staples staying on, as they should. I love this place and it never dissapoints. Surely my #1 spot in NOTL without a doubt.

This place was a nice dinner night out with good food and wonderful service. I would order the duck liver mousse and calamari again. They were delicious! I'd stay away from the patatas bravas as it tasted like roasted potatoes drenched in Italian marinara sauce with some mayo on top. Patatas bravas is supposed to have a red pepper sauce, drizzled on top with garlic aioli drizzle as well. It was a bit disappointing as it's one of my fav Spanish snacks. The bone marrow was good, but got more grease than marrow on the toast. The octopus was delicious and i would order that again in a heartbeat. The churros were a disappointment as they tasted too dense and not fresh. Overall it was a good experience and o would come back again. you just need to figure out what's good and what's not.

We enjoyed the food, especially the burger. The crispy chicken sandwich was also good. The service was excellent, and we sat on the patio, which was spacious and perfect for a large group. The only downside was that we had to split into smaller groups of six per table.

The wine tasting is great. Only $5 for four samples at the adjoining Caroline Cellars. That was a fun experience. Unfortunately we did not enjoy our meal. The Brie sounded great but wasn’t. And the trout was just ok. We were also had a very long wait for our food - they were very busy -possibly from a bus or group tour.

Looking for a nice lunch where both locals and visitors go for some good dinner food? The Farmhouse Cafe serves various dinner dishes with a little extra flare at very reasonable prices. The smash burger and tai chicken poutine was hardy and tasted great. The fried chicken sandwich was equally good. The Cafe serves all kinds of beer and wine - local to Ontario. You can't go wrong if you are looking for a decent lunch with great service - friendly, helpful, and quick.

We stopped off for a late lunch and of course a glass of wine. The place was pretty busy for 3pm! The burger and fries were delicious and the service was wonderful. They had a nice covered patio but we ended up sitting inside as it was raining off and on. I would definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in Virgil or Niagara on the Lake!

Super cute. Loved it. Service was amazing. Food was fantastic. Awesome treat after the tasting and some splurging on some lovely wine.

The food was just perfect. The portions were great and truly filled me up to the brim. The staff were very nice and helpful. The price was reasonable and they had lots of great wine options. The gift shop is very nice and you can buy the wines you drink because everything is made right there.

Great lunch spot with delicious food and refreshing wines & beers. We had the baked brie, cubano panini and shrimp tacos, all super tasty! The covered patio is spacious with a nice rustic vibe, with lots of seating indoors and outdoors. Highly recommend!

Fantastic and relaxing. We enjoyed Sunday lunch. Our party of 8 loved the food, the knowlegeable service (Thanks Chrissy), the atmosphere. Note, the lunch portions are large. You will not leave hungry. Cannot speak about desserts as we were all full, with some taking leftovers home. Excellant value for the pricing, and just as important a great atmosphere away from the hustle of city life. Will absolutely return.
