Roppongi Hills is a bustling commercial complex in Minato City, featuring the iconic 238-meter Mori Tower and a wide array of amenities. This area is part of the Special Zone for Asian Headquarters initiative, aimed at attracting foreign companies with various incentives. The complex houses offices, restaurants, art museums, movie theaters, and TV stations.
I visited here during Christmas, and the illumination was absolutely beautiful — rows of lights stretching for kilometers. The event was lively and very crowded, but the festive atmosphere made it really enjoyable. The weather was also perfect at that time.
Busher P — Google review
Such a pity that I discovered this place on my last day in Tokyo. Am really not a mall rat but i do like the way this place was made. While most shops were still closed when I explored this place on a Sunday morning, I am sure that Roppongi Hills not only offers shopping but culture as well. You would be able to fund a personal spot just to absorb how magnificent the city pf Tokyo is!
Patrick T — Google review
Roppongi is a great area. It’s probably where the people earning the most in Tokyo live, very high end apartments and a bit more space and less crowds. Mitsuoka mage brand new vintage cars, the red car is a Yaris remade, amazing craftsmanship and style. I want this car, it looks a bit like a jaguar. Great area and check out Teamlabs Borderless, incredible.
Ben C — Google review
I visited the Mori Building for the Sou Fujimoto exhibition at the Mori Art Museum on the 53rd floor. It was incredible, and I highly recommend going before it closes on November 9, 2025. Attached are new projects on going and its description is at the bottom of each photo. You can google them. A visionary architect. Sou Fujimoto promotes community, connections via building architecture with essences of openness, amorphous and many many which are integrated with the nature.
Grace B — Google review
Roppongi Hills is a well-designed complex that combines a shopping center on the lower floors, office spaces in the middle, and museums and observation deck at the top. Its thoughtful architecture and beautiful design make it a pleasant place to explore on foot. Located on the 52nd floor, the Mori Art Museum is definitely worth a visit. The current exhibition showcases the work and vision of Sou Fujimoto - highly recommended

Beautiful place to visit when the Christmas lights light up the streets. It’s a very busy place, but nice for a walk
Laloena A — Google review
It was such an awesome experience! Luckily, Doraemon was placed there as part of the summer festival in collaboration with Asahi TV. The whole place had a really fun and vibrant vibe, felt special to be there!
Akash B — Google review
Relaxing sunset view at the top, very much more affordable compared to Tokyo tower and skytree if you are on budget, very convenient transportation by train, and make sure that you look for MT.FUJI!!!

Nature & Parks
Shiba Park is a beautifully landscaped park in Minato-ku, Tokyo that offers a serene escape from the bustling city. The park features an artificial gorge with a waterfall and is adorned with ornamental trees, including rows of ginkgo trees in the outer gardens of Meiji Shrine. Visitors can enjoy the stunning autumn colors while sitting on benches and gazing at Tokyo Tower.
The view at Shiba Park is absolutely stunning. There are many beautiful sakura trees in bloom here. Two notable attractions can be seen from here: Tokyo Tower and a temple. The park itself is quite spacious, and like all parks in Japan, it's very clean.
Unun Q — Google review
Such an amazing place to go for a picnic with friends and it's also a good place to make friends as well. Everyone is open to chat. The humidity was high but worth all the time we spent there. You have an amazing view from Tokyo Tower and got to see the transition from day to night, simply beautiful. For first timers, if you're bringing food or beverages, bring also some trash bags and keep it clean for the others.
Juan M — Google review
Large open space, public restrooms and small child play equipment. Nice walking/jogging path. Was relaxing in the morning.
Andrew G — Google review
I love this park that is close to Zojo-ji. You can also see the Tokyo tower in the background. The whole area is very popular with locals. There is a peace lamp in the park.
A K — Google review
An awesome stretch of green space in the heart of Tokyo city, overlooking the magnificent Tokyo Tower. Believe me, you'll get some of the best views of 🗼 from this park. I went here during sunset so the views were extra special.
Tanush T — Google review
This place very comfortable for picnic with family, partner and friend. U can see great view the tokyo tower from shiba park. Very clean 🤗
Alfika A — Google review
Nice community park to stroll through or to sit on a shaded park bench to relax. One section of the park was blocked from entry due to "falling trees and rocks."
Craig B — Google review
A small park next to Tokyo Tower, great for photos whether from the center of the park or from nearby parking stairway. Note: The parking lot stairway is a popular photo spot, line up and wait your turn.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, a stunning architectural marvel designed by Kenzo Tange, is a must-visit destination for anyone exploring the vibrant city of Tokyo. This iconic complex features two impressive towers, each offering free observatories on their 45th floors that provide breathtaking panoramic views of Shinjuku's skyline and beyond. Recently, the buildings have gained even more attention due to the TOKYO Night & Light event, showcasing the world's largest permanent projection mapping display on their exterior.
Both North and South Observatory are at the 45th storey. The lift entrance is only at Building No. 1, ground floor. The lift takes 55 seconds to reach the top. Mount Fuji will be visible from both towers on a clear day. South tower has a grand piano open to public for performance from 10am to 12pm and 2pm to 4pm.
Alvin — Google review
Incredible nightly video shows with music on the building. Has a fantastic observation deck on the top of both buildings. On the ground floor there is a small mall with two of the best visitors information centers in Tokyo. Visit during the daytime to learn about Tokyo and overlook the city then visit at night to see show and a very different view from the observation deck.
Adam Z — Google review
Not a lot of tourists know about this attraction, which is completely free!! The observatory decks are as good as the other towers out there. The wait to go up is minimal. The fact that there is a public piano for performances makes it more mesmerizing. There is a small cafe on the top, so you can easily chill while watching the view or the performers. The night shows are also worth watching. There are different songs and projections. The building is quite close to a station.
Roberto C — Google review
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 An unforgettable (and free!) Tokyo experience! Hard to believe that such a professional and well-managed observatory is completely free to visit! The panoramic views of Tokyo are truly breathtaking—even though I couldn’t catch Mt. Fuji due to cloudy weather, the experience was still remarkable. What made the atmosphere even more special was the public piano—each performer played so beautifully, and the queue was organized very smoothly. Small details like a free water fountain and reasonably priced vending machines made the visit even more comfortable. If you’re visiting Tokyo, this is a must-see spot! Can’t recommend it enough.
Lawrence L — Google review
It's an amazing free viewing platform! South entrance has always short lines. Come for stunning sunset views. And dont forget to catch the light show, starting from 19.30... This summer they have a nice grassy area to chill while watching.
Carinchen R — Google review
Unlike incorrectly recommended Shinjuku L Sun Tower, the Metropolitan Government building has a free observation deck on the 45th floor. You can view almost every direction from there. The have gifts and refreshments for sale too. Highly worth the visit IMHO.
Davin S — Google review
One of the best observatories in Tokyo, with two separate observatory decks, a north one and a south one. Both have amazing views of the city at just the right height. The south observatory even has a piano designed by Yayoi Kusama free for your playing (five minute limit). Best of all, both decks are free!
Justin L — Google review
One of the best observation decks in Tokyo! We went up to the North Observatory only, and the view was absolutely amazing — and it’s free! We’re glad we came. Honestly, the North deck alone is enough; no need to visit both. Highly recommended!

Sights & Landmarks
Rainbow Bridge is a stunning suspension bridge that spans Tokyo Bay, connecting Shibaura Wharf to Daiba. Opened in 1993, it serves as both a transportation route and a beloved landmark for the new Tokyo Bay area. The bridge features vibrant nighttime illumination powered by solar energy and offers a walking route along its 1.7 km length.
The Rainbow Bridge in Tokyo is a stunning architectural marvel and a must-see attraction. Spanning Tokyo Bay, it offers breathtaking views, especially at night when it's beautifully illuminated. Whether you're walking, driving, or taking a boat tour, the bridge provides a unique perspective of the city's skyline. The pedestrian walkways are perfect for a leisurely stroll with picturesque scenes, making it a favorite spot for both locals and tourists. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Tokyo!
Pragash Y — Google review
This is definitely something to see the bridge itself looks stunning specially at night when the lights turn on, do keep in mind that if it's not a holiday, the lights will only shine in white or purple. Otherwise, if it's a holiday, it will be a rainbow color. I recommend taking pictures of it or watching it from the Statue of Liberty.
Oskar V — Google review
I was staying in Odaiba, and walking across the promenade of the rainbow bridge was an amazing way to get to the Tokyo tower. The bridge is a great design and is a real focus point of the surrounding area. It's great to look at it, but if you get the chance, I would definitely recommend walking across.
Steve — Google review
Beautiful! Walking across was breathtaking both day and night. It fills the senses with awe and gratefulness at both the formidable power of nature as well as man’s attempts and progress at taming it, or “bridging the gap,” as they say haha. I loved walking around this entire area and I feel it’s best explored on foot, alone with your thoughts. If you’re feeling like a stroll to or from Tokyo, definitely recommend checking it out! Would love to come back one day.
Ben S — Google review
The Tokyo skyline featuring Tokyo Tower and the Rainbow Bridge is one of the city’s most iconic and photogenic views. By day, the skyline is a striking mix of modern high-rises, Tokyo Tower’s bold red-and-white structure, and the elegant sweep of the Rainbow Bridge connecting Odaiba to central Tokyo. By night, the scene transforms into a dazzling spectacle — the bridge glows with shifting colors, Tokyo Tower illuminates the skyline in orange light, and the surrounding skyscrapers sparkle, creating a vibrant, almost cinematic atmosphere. For photographers, Odaiba offers some of the best vantage points, particularly from the waterfront or from the decks of nearby shopping complexes. Long-exposure shots across the bay capture the shimmering reflections on the water and emphasize the dynamic contrast between the stillness of the harbor and the pulsing energy of the city. Sunset is another magical time to shoot, as the fading sky behind Tokyo Tower and the bridge softens the cityscape into rich tones of gold and blue. Wide-angle lenses work well to encompass both landmarks in a single frame, but telephoto shots can isolate the tower, the bridge, or individual high-rises for a more dramatic effect. The combination of engineering brilliance and urban beauty makes this skyline view one of Tokyo’s must-see experiences. It’s a place where tradition and modernity meet in light, color, and form, offering photographers endless creative possibilities.
Paul P — Google review
Year 2016 the color of the lights of the rainbow bridge is like a rainbow its very beautiful, but my 2nd and 3rd visit is different from now the color isn't a rainbow color but somehow the bridge is still beautiful and amazing view.
Taro H — Google review

Tokyo Midtown is a luxurious retail complex in Minato City, offering upscale shops, diverse restaurants, art galleries, and a spacious green area. It has become a prominent landmark in Roppongi since its opening in 2007. The complex consists of six buildings and features an artistic design that embodies the essence of a modern city. Additionally, it is part of the Special Zone for Asian Headquarters initiative by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government to attract foreign companies with various benefits.
Tokyo Midtown is a high end shopping center and business park with many shops, cafes and restaurants. It’s very foreigner friendly. The nearby green space is great place to relax. Highly recommended for a family or corporate stay. It’s more expensive than other areas but also more convenient. Tradeoffs of travel, right?
Shayne F — Google review
Visited March 2024. It's a higher end shopping complex/business park. I came to visit the surrounding park to see their cherry blossom illuminations, but I was too early. Would consider coming back for the illumination and Starbucks reserve roastery, but was not really interested in the shopping complex itself.

The mall has beautiful architecture and design, with a nice park right next to it. There were also quite a few Doraemons around for photo opportunities.
DR — Google review
These illuminations are so so beautiful✨ The staffs told us not to stop, but most people tried to take pictures. I thought that illumination without being gazed is nonsense, so what the staffs required is weird. If you use a wide angle, you can take nice photos. However, there are too many people, so other people would appear in the photo, which is not good.
Miyu S — Google review
The garden area at the front hosts a stunning light display synchronized with music during the Christmas season. It’s a mesmerizing sight, perfect for soaking in the festive atmosphere and capturing magical moments.
Supphawich ( — Google review
Beautiful architecture filled with lots of amenities and restaurants. It is an underrated place to spend your afternoon.
Evan T — Google review
It is a mid-to-high-end shopping mall. You may go through overpass to Hinokicho park for a rest and photo. There are some restaurants with terrace where you can enjoy the atmosphere of scene and food. You better make reservation in advance if you want lunch or dining there. Many media have reported this is a cherry blossom attraction.

Azabudai Hills, a newly completed landmark in the heart of Tokyo, is a visionary project by Mori Building that integrates offices, residences, medical facilities, commercial spaces, and an international school. The complex includes the towering Residence B and Residence A which blend lush greenery with contemporary design to create a serene urban oasis. The main building, Mori JP Tower, offers an observation floor on its 33rd level where visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the Tokyo cityscape for free.
This is a very nice shopping area with many different luxury shops as well as nice markets, cafes, and restaurants. There is also the teamlab museum (get tickets early/in advance!), a Starbucks, and lots of areas to sit and relax. They also seemed to be showing outdoor movies and likely have many other activities throughout the summer. Definitely worth checking out and exploring or going for lunch or coffee.
Jared E — Google review
Great area for shopping, dining and concept museums like Teamlabs. Check out the rooftop cafe and have an amazing view of Tokyo tower.
Jeffrey D — Google review
Interesting development in Minato. The architecture creates a more walkable, neighborhood like experience. High end shops, and many cafes and restaurants. The market is quite good, with a great selection of fresh foods, and restaurants and pop up experiences. Definitely recommended for an afternoon stroll.
David B — Google review
Very lovely area to have a walk and hang out. There are all booths that sells soft cream. Malls with delectable chocolate shop. Also if you do visit the area, don’t forget to check out the sky cafe and bar at the tower to check out the beautiful city view of Tokyo and get a glimpse of Mount Fuji in the distance. And a really good view of Tokyo Tower just beside. Sunset time will get you the gorgeous breathtaking sky view!
Asra A — Google review
Polished and architecturally impressive, but it’s still finding its buzz. The buildings and gardens are beautiful, and the whole thing is impeccably designed, but it felt a little too calm for a place that’s meant to be a new cultural hub. Worth a look, but I’ll be curious to see how it settles into itself over time.

The Imperial Palace in Tokyo is the main residence of the emperor of Japan and has been home to a succession of emperors since 1868. The scenic East Gardens are open to the public throughout the year, offering a popular spot for enjoying cherry blossoms. While Marunouchi is known as a business district, it also offers attractions such as skyscrapers, department stores, and architectural wonders like the Shin-Marunouchi Building and Tokyo International Forum.
Tokyo Imperial Palace East Garden: The Silent Heart of Japan’s History Hidden amid Tokyo’s towering skyscrapers, the Imperial Palace East Garden (Higashi Gyoen) is one of the city’s most serene and historically rich destinations. Once part of the mighty Edo Castle — the seat of the Tokugawa Shogunate — the garden blends centuries of Japanese history with the quiet grace of traditional landscape design. It’s not a lavish European-style palace, but rather a living symbol of Japan’s journey from feudal power to modern harmony. Whether you come for the history, the gardens, or a peaceful walk away from the city’s buzz, this is where Tokyo slows down — and Japan’s story speaks softly through every stone and sakura petal. Visitor Information & Travel Tips Located right in the center of Tokyo, surrounded by the city’s skyscrapers, the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace (Higashi Gyoen) offer a peaceful retreat steeped in history. The most important thing to know before visiting: you cannot enter the Imperial family’s residence or the main palace buildings. The only section open to the public is this vast garden, which covers part of the former Edo Castle, once the seat of the Tokugawa Shogunate. The gardens feature wide lawns, traditional stone walls, and calm walking paths that feel worlds away from the city’s noise. The layout still preserves the remains of the honmaru (main enclosure) and ninomaru (secondary enclosure) of Edo Castle. The iconic Nijubashi Bridge, visible from the outer grounds, is one of Tokyo’s most photographed landmarks — especially during special imperial events like the Emperor’s Birthday or New Year’s Greeting. Entrance: Free of charge Closed: Mondays, Fridays, and during New Year holidays or official ceremonies Recommended Visit Time: 1–2 hours Best Seasons: Spring (cherry blossoms) and autumn (maple foliage) Historical & Cultural Background The East Garden sits on the former site of Edo Castle, a stronghold built in the 15th century and later expanded by the Tokugawa Shogunate. When the Meiji Restoration of 1868 ended Japan’s feudal rule, Edo was renamed Tokyo and the castle became the Imperial Palace — the new symbol of national unity. During World War II, parts of the palace complex were damaged by air raids. In the postwar years, the gardens were meticulously restored and, as a gesture of openness and renewal, opened to the public. This act came to symbolize Japan’s peaceful transformation and reconciliation with its past. Walking through the East Garden today, you trace the footsteps of emperors, shoguns, and citizens alike. Every stone wall and moat whispers fragments of Japan’s layered history — from feudal strength to modern serenity. In the heart of one of the world’s busiest cities, the East Garden remains a space where Japan’s past and present coexist in perfect balance.
Ibrahim K — Google review
I did not hire a tour guide or purchase an admission ticket. I simply went to explore the area. The grounds are vast, spacious, and beautifully maintained. The landscaping is impeccable, as is typical in Tokyo. It is a popular spot for walking and jogging. Visiting was definitely worthwhile.
Pedro M — Google review
We had the quick visit to the Imperial Palace in Tokyo, and even though visitors can’t fully access the inner areas, the experience was still memorable. The palace grounds are beautifully preserved and give a sense of calm right in the middle of the city. The park is covered with vibrant green grass, neat bonsai trees, and wide open spaces that are perfect for a peaceful stroll. Standing there, you can see Tokyo’s modern buildings rising in the background, which makes the view even more scenic. It’s a quiet place that feels like a hidden pocket of nature in the heart of the city, even if you’re just visiting the outer grounds.
Joel E — Google review
This review is meant to the gardens around the palace. I couldn’t really find the palace itself, as all the trails that led to it were blocked. Some people say you can have guided tours twice a day to visit the exterior of the palace, so that might be an option, but I believe the palace itself is a newish building and unassuming. However, the gardens or park around the palace are huge, and you start to see some autumn colours (end of October 2025). I took a long walk there, and it was very peaceful. There are also toilets at various sites (I used the ones by the entrance next to Starbucks and they were clean; no paper towels or hand dryer though so bring a washcloth). I saw many people enjoying the good weather and just relaxing. So I wouldn’t worry about the opening times of the palace (they might seem very strict), as I was, because you’re probable only going to visit the gardens anyway.

It’s a great place to walk around and to learn some Japanese culture. Depends on your purposes, I suggest spending at least 2-hr to walk around. The walk is about 3-5 miles to cover the best part of the Japan Royal Palace.

Visiting the Imperial Palace is a must! Once the heart of imperial Japan, the grounds are beautifully maintained. You'll be impressed by the sheer size of the walls and various protective features surrounding the palace. Highly recommended for history enthusiasts and anyone wanting to explore Japan's royal heritage!

Absolutely beautiful. It’s pretty cheap to buy the tickets on Klook and just pass the line. The wait isn’t terrible to wait for the elevator but the last 3 floors are stairs only and people can be a bit ripe so be prepared for that.

We visited the place on a Saturday, and did find a lot of tourists. But the place is huge and calm, so you will enjoy walking here. It is well maintained and can be explored without a guide as well. A must visit if you’re in Tokyo!

Super clean and pristine beach with a great view of the harbor bridge! You can almost imagine Godzilla emerging and making it's way towards downtown Tokyo! The beach has a relaxing vibe about it, with cafes serving up snacks and drinks and a good time.

Used to be Great, now its good to ok. very chill and pleasant please to visit in general. Used to be a big tourist attraction no less popular, still a lot of shops, food, still worth a half day to visit. Recommend :I think Gov or business to invest a little more here would make a huge improvement, Get the beach water more clean. Move one of the teamlab here, would be excellent.

Shibuya Scramble Crossing, located outside Shibuya station in Tokyo, is a must-see experience for visitors. It's the world's busiest pedestrian crossing, with over one million people crossing it daily. The surrounding shopping centers offer various lookout points to observe the madness below, and the new Shibuya Sky outdoor viewing deck provides a stunning view from 229 meters above street level. For great photos, shooting from above at night captures the neon lights and bustling activity.
As chaotic as you'd expect! Every few minutes, a couple of hundred people flood in from all directions, with selfie-takers trying to sprint across of the crowds for the perfect shot. It's not too bad to get across, with the regular and long crossing periods making it easy to get through. Looking from above is far less chaotic, but provides you a great overview. Try predicting which tourist will stay on the road too long and almost get run over!
Jake L — Google review
The Shibuya Scramble Crossing is pure, exhilarating Tokyo chaos! It's absolutely a must-see for any visitor. Seeing thousands of people step off all four corners and meet in the middle, weaving perfectly through each other, is the ultimate urban ballet. It’s even more incredible at night with all the neon lights and giant video screens—it truly feels like the epicenter of modern Japan. Tip: Don't just cross it! The best experience is watching the "scramble" from an elevated viewpoint. Grab a seat at the famous Starbucks (if you can!) or visit the nearby SHIBUYA SKY observation deck for a mind-blowing, high-up view. It's loud, crowded, and completely iconic. It’s less of a tourist sight and more of a total immersion into the city's heartbeat. Go, cross it, and feel the energy!
M D — Google review
Honestly it wasn’t that exceptional as I was accepting it but still still good there was so many people running to take picture. I found it so funny honestly and there is everything near the crossing. You can go drink something there is also a park there is an Apple Store honestly it’s a good place and at night it’s amazing.
Sarah S — Google review
It's truly an iconic and vibrant spot. Watching that impressive amount of people crossing at the same time, in all directions, is an experience worth having at least once in a lifetime. To get the classic view from above, there are several options, like the famous Starbucks Cafe right across. I was even lucky enough to see some tuned cars, "Fast and Furious" style, passing by. Of course, at the end of the day, it's just a crossing, but it's very symbolic.
Luana B — Google review
Shibuya Crossing: The Hype Versus Reality, and How to Still Enjoy the Show As one of the most photographed and famous places in the world, the Shibuya Scramble Crossing in Tokyo is a must-see destination accompanied by enormous expectations. After my visit, I came to a personal conclusion: The site is overrated. What supposedly makes the place iconic is the chaotic coordination—thousands of people crossing the massive intersection from all directions simultaneously. But the moment I crossed it myself, the experience was short, fast-paced, and mainly felt like a desperate attempt not to block the path of locals. It felt more like a quick "check-the-box" site than a mesmerizing experience. The View That Saves the Day However, to truly experience the full impact of this "human dance," you must view it from above. And the best spot for this (which doesn't require paying for expensive observation decks) is undoubtedly the Starbucks café, located in the TSUTAYA building right across from the intersection. I climbed to the second floor of the café, where I managed to grab a spot near the large window. Once seated, a nice and comprehensive view of the crossing was revealed. From there, above the heads of the crowd, I could finally grasp the visual potential of the site. When watched from above, the crossing looks like a theatrical show—a swarm of people and a rain of umbrellas on a gloomy day, or a jet stream of human energy against the neon lights of the massive billboards. This specific vantage point turned the visit, which initially felt disappointing, into a positive experience. The coffee at Starbucks is standard, but the value you get for the price of the drink is undoubtedly one of the best people-watching spots in the world. In summary: the crossing itself is overhyped. But the view from the second floor of Starbucks is what makes it worth the visit.
Yariv K — Google review
An unforgettable experience! The energy here is unreal — hundreds of people crossing from all directions yet everything feels perfectly organized. Truly captures the spirit of Tokyo. A must-see, especially at night! 🇯🇵✨
Deepak S — Google review
There’s not much to say about the Scramble Crossing as it’s just a crossing, but it is fun to experience walking through it. There’s LOTS of people and some people bump into you and push through. Many people run on to the road in front of everyone to take photos and selfies. It’s a bit annoying, but it is funny to watch and entertaining. The crossing is in the middle of all the shops and restaurants, so if you’re in a building above ground nearby, it’s fun to watch everyone cross. It’s also great to take photos and time-lapse videos of people crossing like little ants lol.
G E — Google review
One of the most iconic spots in Tokyo! Watching Shibuya Crossing from above is an incredible experience — the energy, the lights, and the endless flow of people make it feel like a perfectly organized chaos. The view from the nearby buildings or cafes gives a great perspective of the famous intersection. Definitely worth seeing both from the street and from above!

Nestled in the heart of Tokyo, Yoyogi Park is a sprawling urban oasis that spans an impressive 134 acres. This vibrant park features serene lakes, charming fountains, and lush forested areas adorned with mature trees, making it a perfect escape from the city's hustle and bustle. Located just south of Shinjuku and near the iconic Yoyogi National Gymnasium, it's easily accessible for both locals and tourists alike.
A nice park to relax in or go for a jog. Most of the park is tree lined paths and bench areas though it has a few extra sections. There is a beautiful butterfly garden on the south side that I'd recommend. A herb / rose garden. A dog park. And a lake for viewing birds... Though they were hiding during our visit.

Green, expansive, gorgeous. There are so many words that could describe Yoyogi Park but those are my top three. I loved the greenery, art, wildlife, and the First Flight Monument. Easy to get to, easy to navigate. Even though we walked around for a few hours, there was still more to see. Don’t miss it! Photography by Jason Taylor (Except for the pictures I took)

A newfound favorite park! 🌿 It’s very clean and well-maintained, making it such a pleasant place to explore. I visited in winter (January) and loved that it wasn’t crowded. Just be sure to dress warmly so you can fully enjoy walking around. There are food stalls around, but since Shibuya is within walking distance, you’ll have plenty of dining options nearby. Definitely a must-visit spot in Tokyo!

Visiting at night was a highlight—open paths, soft lighting, and a peaceful atmosphere that feels worlds away from the city noise. Practical win: there are plenty of bathrooms and vending machines throughout the park, which makes it easy to stay longer without planning. Perfect for an evening stroll, light snacks, and unwinding.

Beautiful gem found right around the corner from Harajuku station. Conveniently located & within walking distance of Takeishita street shopping area. I went on a Sunday and it was busy but not crowded. The park is filled with gorgeous big lush trees, giving off such a peaceful vibe. I loved seeing the shrine and all the gates. This is a great place to come if you're looking to get a break from the hustle and bustle, to relax or have a little lunch. At the Yoyogi park main stage you'll find alot of events happening. Filled with live performances to tons of food tents. Highly recommends to stop by and take it all in.

Beautiful and very lovely, at least today (26th October), with many food stalls and musicians playing. If you continue and walk more to the centre of the park, it’s much quieter (it was also the end of the day, so it might me more crowded on the morning or early afternoon). Too bad there’s a lot of construction going on (hence the 4 stars), as I was hoping to come here and relax, to escape from the Shibuya madness!…

This park does not have a lot to offer but this is one good place to spend some time off, peaceful "me time" and have picnics with your loved ones. This is just a 5 minute walk from the Meiji Shrine. By the time I visited, Roses are in bloom making the park more interesting to visit.

This garden was meticulously designed over time by successive shoguns, drawing seawater from Tokyo Bay.
Great park, right next to the seawater. In fact the ponds inside are full with sea water drawn directly from the bay area. You can enjoy the piece and awesome trees and plans for a nice walk. Don’t miss it out if you enjoy a small escapes from the urban area, I will define it as a green paradise in the middle of sky skyscrapers. Plus you can find some pretty cool stamps on the entrance

What a splendid place to spend the afternoon! Strolling the grounds, exploring every nook and cranny. I spent a few hours here one spring afternoon after eating a great omakase lunch. This was the perfect place to burn off some extra calories, wandering the paths. It was an equally enjoyable place to enjoy a nice little siesta underneath one of the many trees that provide shade in this beautiful park. If you’re into green spaces, I highly recommend a visit! Can’t wait to come back 🤗

Beautiful traditional gardens that used to be the falcon hunting grounds of the Shogun. Compared to Shinjuku Gardens, Hamariku has more beautiful water features, including bridges and a tea shop over water. There's something to see in every season - plum blossoms in February, cherry blossoms in March, wisteria in April, as well as a season flower garden planted with rotating varieties year round. The garden also hosts seasonal and cultural celebrations. The garden tends to be quiet most days (certainly compared to Shinjuku Gardens). The open picnic areas are recommended for families with kids looking for a place to run around in the grass.

Lovely gardens by the water. You can tell it’s being taken care of and the admission fee is definitely worth paying (300¥ per person). Parque Hibiya is a lush, serene oasis tucked right in the bustling heart of Tokyo. Strolling along the winding paths, I felt completely transported by the vibrant seasonal flowers, from the delicate cherry blossoms blooming in spring to the fiery maples of autumn. The peacefulness of the two large Western-style flower gardens, showcased by colorful tulips and roses, provided perfect spots for quiet reflection. The highlight was resting by the pond with its charming bronze crane fountain, watching graceful wild birds while soaking up the tranquility. Nearby, I caught a lively outdoor concert at the open-air venue, blending nature and culture seamlessly. The 400-year-old ginkgo tree stood tall like a proud guardian of the park’s past, a living testament to resilience.

The Asakusa Culture Tourist Information Center is a modern facility designed by Kengo Kuma, located near the Sensoji Temple's Kaminarimon gate. It offers free guided tours, currency exchange, and an information desk. The eight-story building features a covered observation deck with stunning views of Sensoji Temple. Visitors can also explore exhibitions and cultural events on other floors. Additionally, the center provides electrical charging points for those in need of battery power.
Located in front of the Kaminarimon intersection. The observation terrace on the 8th floor is free of charge. There is a café on the same floor, both of which are available for a relaxing break. The elevator can accommodate only about 8 people, and people cannot get on the elevator from the intermediate floors when it is full on the first floor. From the 8th floor, you can get a bird's-eye view of Sensoji Temple and the Sky Tree. I was able to take pictures of Sensoji Temple and Sky Tree at night. This facility provides information about Asakusa, but there are many spaces where you can sit down for free, so it is just right for a break when you are tired. There is a terrace and cafe on the top floor, where you can view the Kaminarimon gate and Sky Tree from just the right angle. It is open all year round. Designed by Kengo Kuma, the building is a wonderful example of Japanese culture with its house-shaped laminations and vertical louvers, but also with a modern novelty. The house shape on the exterior is not merely decorative, but is reflected in the sloping floors of the interior exhibition rooms, and the space between the roof and the upper floor is effectively used as a space for equipment.

Nezu Shrine is a serene Shinto shrine in Tokyo, known for its tunnel-like series of torii gates and vibrant spring azalea blooms during the Azalea Festival held from early April to early May. Established in 1705, it features a miniature version of the iconic Fushimi Inari Shrine's torii gate tunnel and boasts impressive senbon torii.
There are hundreds of Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples in Tokyo, but the ones you hear the most about are Senso-ji Temple in Asakusa and Meiji-jingu in Shibuya. If Meiji-jingu is the Marcia Brady of shrines and Senso-ji is the Cindy Brady of temples, then Nezu Shrine is definitely poor, overlooked Jan Brady. "Meiji! Meiji! Meiji!" Personally I had never heard of Nezu before. My husband and I only discovered this somewhat hidden shrine on a random walk we took from Ueno Park to Yanaka Ginza. The first thing we noticed was how tranquil the grounds were compared to Marcia and Cindy, I mean, Meiji-jingu and Senso-ji. Apparently, spring brings an explosion of azaleas, but we mostly missed it. Much like when Jan missed making the final cut during cheerleader tryouts. The shrine's history dates back 19 centuries and has remained relatively intact through earthquakes, world wars, and climate change. They have quite an extensive tunnel of vermillion torii gates. Not as impressive as Fushimi Inari in Kyoto, but it still made for a prime Instagram moment as did all the stone statues of foxes serving as protectors of the shrine and messengers of prosperity. So I guess the foxes would be like the guardians of the Brady Bunch Variety Hour. Say what?
Ed U — Google review
I visited Nezu Shrine in February, and the atmosphere was incredibly peaceful with very few people around. The weather was pleasantly cool. Inside, there are several spots for worship, and a key highlight is the long path lined with torii gates, which leads to the back of the shrine. At the end, there are restroom facilities available. Along the torii path, you’ll also find a small Japanese garden with a waterfall, creating a serene and beautiful setting. I highly recommend visiting if you want a quiet escape from the city. It’s conveniently located near the University of Tokyo.

Nezu Shrine is one of those secluded places that very few tourists go to, and as such it still feels very genuine and charming. There’s also a little pond full of Koi fish and a few turtles too. A hidden gem among more well known shrines and temples of Tokyo.

Daiba Park, located on the historic Odaiba Island, offers a serene escape with views of Tokyo Bay, Rainbow Bridge, and stunning sunsets. Originally built as a defensive fort to protect Tokyo Bay, remnants of its military past can still be seen in the park. Visitors can explore the old gun battery and ammunition storehouses while enjoying a leisurely stroll through the tranquil surroundings. The park's proximity to Rainbow Bridge makes it an ideal spot for capturing picturesque photos of this iconic landmark.
Some people will find this a long walk round from the Malls, especially in the heat of a blazing summers day. However, you can find shelter along the road, rather than along the beach front where there is no shade at all. A brolly would definitely be beneficial. The park is where the remains of a couple of canons are located. Good view of the Rainbow bridge here.

Loved having a promenade in Daiba park, it was very enjoyable. Quite a big park, the view is stunning of the bridge, sea water and city. Very nice sitting areas with the view, some bending s machine available around, and coffeeshop not too far around to grab something and get to sit picnic and relax there . Would definitely come back to Daiba park 🏞️

Small park with a beautiful view on the city and the nearby bridge The park is just a short walk away from the beach and usually only sparingly visited. The nature in the park itself has grown without much human intervention but there is a nice artificial green space in the center. The main reason however to visit the park is due to it providing a perfect place to get a good view on the surrounding area and the nearby bridge.

Daiba Park is a quiet park located in the north side of Daiba. It is far away from the nearest train station (Odaiba-kaihinkōen Station) and takes around 10-15 mins to walk from the station to this park. The park has a relaxing atmosphere and it is perfect to have a morning walk. As it is located right next to Rainbow Bridge, it is also one of the best positions to take photos of the bridge. If you like historical sites, you can find Gun battery and explosives storage inside this park. You can also see a line of Sakura from the bird’s island (鳥の島) in spring.

First shot was taken on the edge of Daiba Park almost directly under the Rainbow Bridge. Tokyo Tower, a lattice tower whose design was inspired by the Eiffel Tower, is the 2nd largest tallest structure at 332.9 meters (1,092 ft). A beautiful symbol of Tokyo that has been around since 1958. The second shot was taken from the beach looking towards the shoreline. Tokyo Rainbow Bridge connects Minato Ward, Tokyo with the Odaiba waterfront development district—a man-made island sitting in the middle of Tokyo Bay. The bridge uses solar panels during the day to “paint” the bridge in red, white, and green every night. The sun had just risen at the time this shot was taken. Streaks of light were able to break through the clouds and shine on the high-rise apartment building in the distance. The third shot, taken during blue hour, is of Tokyo Tower as viewed from Daiba Park, part of the waterfront development district—a man-made island sitting in the middle of Tokyo Bay. The fourth shot is a view of Rainbow Bridge from Daiba Park. The park is actually an island that was built in 1854 as one of several batteries built for coastal defenses after the arrival of USN Commodore Perry in 1853. Remnants of stone cannon pedestals, ammunition storehouses, and barracks can still be seen at the park. Check out my Pix4Japan YouTube channel for the video I took of the waterfront areas of this destination!

Great little island park just near odaiba - There is not many people here which is good if you want to escape from the jungle of people that is Tokyo. You can walk from odaiba station or if you come by car there is parking near by. There are no lights at the park so at night it's dark.

Very nice and secluded location for photographers. Loved every minute I was there. Air was clean and the scenery was breathtaking. I spent 3 hours there taking photos of the rainbow bridge. Will visit again in spring or winter.

A fantastic place for taking stunning photographs especially during sunset. The Liberty Statue, the Rainbow Bridge and Tokyo Bay were a mix making a perfect picture. Strolling around the park leisurely. Jogging and even meditating would be nice activities.

If you like Harry Potter, then you definitely have to do by here! They transformed the station and nearby buildings to all be Harry Potter themed. Music is always playing, there's a decorated cafe with themed foods, a theatre and a souvenir shop as well!

In the Harry Potter world NOW! As soon as you get off the subway, you can enter the world of Harry Potter. Please get off at Akasaka Station on the Chiyoda Line and exit 3b. Climbing the “red carpet” you can see in front of you, you can see the space where Harry Potter's music is played. If you go up to the ground, there is a Harry Potter theater, a shop, and a cafe. There is also that owl with a letter, so please look for it. You need to make a reservation at the cafe and the theater! I recommend it because you can go to the Harry Potter world anytime!

Toranomon Hills seems to have an official mascot❤️ That official mascot is "Toranomon"🤣🤣🤣 Toranomon is a cat-shaped business robot from 22nd century Tokyo, and the concept is that he came from the future to create "Mirai Tokyo" together with everyone🥰 His job at Toranomon Hills is to innovate the world and give shape to many ideas. What an important role❤️ By the way, it's not a tiger-shaped robot, but a cat-shaped robot just like Doraemon😍😍😍 So cute😍

Arguably one of the best business tower building in Tokyo. It is one of the tallest skyscraper complex built by Mori Building and grand opened in 2016. Toranomon Hills, a beacon of modernity and innovation in the heart of Tokyo, offers an unparalleled urban experience that transcends mere architectural achievement. Perched at a vantage point that affords sweeping views of the bustling city below, this complex is not just a testament to human ingenuity but a sanctuary from the mundane concerns of daily life. The sense of satisfaction derived from gazing out over Tokyo from such a height is profound, providing a moment of sublime escape where the trials and tribulations of everyday existence seem to dissolve into the vast urban landscape. The experience of visiting Toranomon Hills is akin to being transported into a future where every detail has been meticulously designed for comfort, convenience, and aesthetic pleasure. The complex itself is a marvel of contemporary design, its sleek lines and innovative use of space symbolizing the forward-thinking spirit of Tokyo. Inside, one finds a microcosm of city life, with a plethora of dining, shopping, and entertainment options that cater to every conceivable taste and preference. However, it is the panoramic views from Toranomon Hills that truly captivate the imagination. Standing high above the city, visitors are afforded a perspective that few other places can offer. The sprawling urban expanse unfolds like a living tapestry, with the dense weave of streets and buildings punctuated by the green spaces and historic landmarks that define Tokyo's unique character. From this lofty perch, the city's rhythmic energy and vibrant life are laid bare, yet the hustle and bustle seem distant, almost serene, viewed from the tranquility of Toranomon Hills. This ability to step away from the pressures of daily life and gain a new perspective is perhaps the most cherished aspect of the Toranomon Hills experience. It is a place where one can find respite and rejuvenation amidst the unceasing pace of city life, a haven that offers not just physical elevation but a psychological uplift as well. The act of overlooking the city from such a height instills a sense of peace and perspective, a reminder of the fleeting nature of our worries and the enduring beauty of the world around us. In essence, Toranomon Hills is more than a landmark or a destination; it is a journey into the heart of Tokyo's dynamic spirit, offering a blend of luxury, innovation, and tranquility that is rare in the urban landscape. For those seeking to experience the essence of Tokyo from an extraordinary vantage point, to indulge in the finest amenities while floating above the city's ceaseless rhythm, Toranomon Hills emerges not just as a place to visit, but as a destination to aspire to, a pinnacle of urban living that redefines the concept of satisfaction and escape in the modern world.

We stayed at the Hyatt Andaz. Hotel looked great and the staff was friendly. I was surprised that a modern hotel like this would ask you to cover up your tattoos. I know it's s thing in Japan, but I've been to older, smaller hotels/ryokans and never had this problem. With the Olympics coming and tattoos being a world wide commonality, I think they need to change their policy.

From all the photos I've seen of this small gallery online, I was a bit disappointed to see the current display. The current exhibit from Lois Vuitton features a white, glass wall room with just a hanging lantern and barely readable text that's supposed to be light-up but barely readable during the day. Best that we had visited during the evening for better visual effects. There is a staff there, and some gallery books that you can read based on all the artworks displayed here. Though I am not impressed by the current exhibit, I may visit again when the Espace features a more visually appealing art piece.

Shinagawa Season Terrace is a prime example of 3D urban planning, a collaborative effort between the Tokyo Metropolis and four private companies. The lower levels feature an array of shops, dining options, and conference facilities. Adjacent to the building is a sprawling 3.5-hectare green space that transforms with the seasons. This development seamlessly combines business advantages with community-building elements, making it a valuable asset to the local area.
I was there to visit Kojima Productions. For those who are looking for the same thing, lemme help you. Once you arrive in front of this building coming from the Main Street , you will face the escalator, take it upstairs and you will find the Ludens statue hiding somewhere on your left. Now if you are looking for the Merch, stand in front of the statue with it being behind you. On your 2 o’clock you will see a glass door with « Shops and restaurants » above it. Enter from that door and you will find a staircase on your left, go upstairs and you will face a huge black and white sign that lists all the offices in the building. Now, facing the sign , enter the glass door on your left and then immediately turn right, walk a little bit and you will find a « Famima » shop on your right. Congrats you got there bud. Now if you need cash to buy all that juicy merch, there is an ATM just next to the store. Enjoy.

We got our tickets bogo, went on a Tuesday right at open. It was a blast! Their music coaster was part rythm game part ripping launched spinning coaster. I was also a big fan of the House of the Dead experience. The Half pipe was a ton of fun too! See if you can beat our score. TLDR: go when lines are short for a great 3 hours of fun
Tanner C — Google review
It was around 3:45pm on a Saturday when my husband, our friends, and I visited after playing go-karts nearby. We had some free time before our BBQ dinner, so we decided to stop by and explore a bit. We purchased the entry tickets for ¥1,500 each, as we didn’t plan to spend the whole day here. We then decided to try the ISSEN laser shooting game. However, we were not informed that this particular game required an additional top-up at another counter, which cost ¥900 per person. So, for anyone planning to come for a short visit, be aware that the entry fee does not include access to all attractions. We waited around 40 minutes for our turn. The instructions and process were clear and well organized. When it was finally our turn, a group of 12 people was brought in at a time. After a short storyline and introduction, we put on the vests and were given laser guns. We went through a short practice round and then entered the main game room. The setup looked promising, but the actual gameplay was extremely brief, barely one minute. Most of us were still hiding or aiming when suddenly everyone “got shot” at the same time without warning, and the guns just stopped working. The game ended abruptly, leaving us confused and disappointed. It felt like we spent more time walking through rooms and listening to the storyline than actually playing. Considering the entry fee and the extra charge for this attraction, we felt it was not worth the price. It was unfortunately a disappointing experience, and we wouldn’t recommend it.
Lulu F — Google review
Some of the rides felt short and not worth it, some felt more fulfilling and unique. The lines were a bit long in the weekend so I would recommend going on a weekday and not missing out on the flag rides. I would also recommend coming with another friend to maximise your experience.
Max — Google review
The ticket is 1500 but it does not include any attraction or game. Inside you have to pay for everything, from 700 to over 1000. They don’t explain that before entering. Then the games are ok, but you can find better ones in other places
Juancho F — Google review
As a parent wanting to bring lots of joy and fun to my 8-year-old child, I have to admit that the place left me a bit disappointed. The number and quality of available attractions definitely don't match the high ticket price. There was surprisingly little Sonic in what's supposed to be a Sonic-themed center—and that was the main reason we chose this place. Sure, the interactive attractions did make my child happy, but overall, I still feel it's not quite worth the cost. Cons: Most of the attractions are only in Japanese, which can make it hard to fully understand the storyline—especially in simulators or story-based games. During peak hours, wait times for certain attractions can be long, which affects the overall experience. Even with an all-access pass, not everything was actually included—Sonic Carnival, for example, required buying extra (and quite pricey) coins. I recommend checking the attraction height requirements in advance—everything is clearly explained on the official website. To sum up: in our opinion, it’s fun for a maximum of 4 hours, assuming you manage to avoid long lines. Although our child did enjoy it for a while, they got bored relatively quickly, as there weren’t as many attractions as it might seem at first glance.
Natalia G — Google review
Good activity for on a rainy day or when it's just too hot outside. Most of the rides are story based and in Japanese but nevertheless very fun. There's a lot of one-room rides where you look at a curved screen and the car moves around on the place. Be careful here if you easily get motion sickness. There's also a lot of prize games in this building. You have a lot of options on what kind of admission ticket you want. One option is to pay a fee of about 1500¥ just to get inside and then you pay for each ride seperate (between 700-900¥), if you come early on the day and want a full admission you pack ~5800¥ and if you enter Joypolis only after 3pm it's 4800¥. Overall we had a great time there and my head is still spinning! ;D

It was packed of people due to spring break. But if you are fan of SEGA:Sonic, (like my son) you will definitely liked it! The weather today is not that great, so this amusement park is a covered centre. Great especially if it’s raining! I booked from Klook (for adult buy 1 take 1), so I just bought seperate for my son. So easy, just go over to the counter to get exchange a proper ticket. Went inside to the 2nd floor you’ll see sonic statue! If you came at noon, most ride waiting is 30 to 60 minutes. So many games kind a Timezone in Australia. Food wise, nothing fancy. Just not to get hungry :-) For me, this is only Good for one visit!

After having visited places like Tokyo SkyTree and Landmark Tower, it can be a bit underwhelming. But, at 26 stories, you do get a decent view of the fairly mundane surroundings. The restaurant is all set up to be a swanky and expensive place for fine dining at a location where an everyday cafe would suffice. Not really the place for shopping, either. On the way up, there's a Uniqlo, a gift shop, some supermarket stuff and that's about it. There's definitely more going on around the building than within it. No pictures. What's the point!

Free and very quiet. The primary view is toward the west though, i.e. smaller buildings. You can see downtown from one section of windows, but you're admittedly quite far from it. Still a great spot if you don't want to be among the throngs at the Sky Tree though.

The ventilation system here is great so you can enjoy the meal and walk out without smelling like barbecue. Also the lady who served the entire shop was super friendly and energetic. I would definitely visit again.

Hidden gem located in the basement. Was an absolute random find walking down the street and saw their menu. Decided to give them a try for a pre dinner snack. The cuts on offer are very special. Plenty of beef offal which I love trying. Can’t get outside of Japan. Prices are v reasonable given it’s in a high end residential neighbourhood too.

(Translated by Google) I used it for a work dinner. It was nice to have a semi-private room that was perfect for a dinner with 5 to 6 people. I was able to eat in peace. We had the special course, and all of the meat was of high quality and tasted like it was carefully prepared. It melted in my mouth. The homemade beef tendon curry made by the master who used to open a restaurant in Jimbocho is also delicious. The staff are also very nice and I am very satisfied. Looking for late night dinner and found this nice resto tucked in the quiet street of Jingumae. Food was 👌🏻👍🏻 with the beef top notch quality. Staff were so welcoming and tells guests what they are serving. This will be one of my fav resto in this area of Aoyama.

(Translated by Google) First use. There are a lot of staff, but there have been times when a staff member has forgotten an order and the rice doesn't come out until we point it out. The meat is quite thinly sliced, so your taste may differ. The cost performance isn't that great, but it's not too expensive either. For people who don't eat a lot, I think it's a good place to have a relaxing atmosphere. The menu is well balanced. By the way, for some reason, I was not given a receipt, just a glimpse of the total amount. The staff said the store manager was absent. I ate over 6,000 yen for one person, but I still don't have this.

SL Square, located at Shimbashi Station West Entrance Square, is a renowned meeting point and landmark that features a 1940s steam locomotive colorfully illuminated at night. It is surrounded by several excellent restaurants and cafes, making it an ideal spot for dining and socializing. This cozy place is easy to locate and serves as a popular destination for tourists visiting the area.
A must visit for any Beastie Boys fan. This is one of the main locations from the iconic video for the song “Intergalactic”. While much has changed in the square since the video was created in 1998, but there is still enough to recognise its location.

It would look better if it wasn’t covered by the election rally. It’s a bad idea to put it over there.
Ak — Google review
Easily the best area in Tokyo to stay if you want a mix of night life, close to shopping, plenty of restaurants, close to Tokyo Tower and central to most tourist spots. The square is a great meeting place for people. There was a steam locomotive with lights when I was there. The station is big but easy to navigate through. Plenty of lines to take to easily go throughout Tokyo. The north east side has some pretty good pricier hotels.

Park
Arisugawa-no-miya Memorial Park is a serene urban oasis located in the Hiro-o district of Tokyo. The park boasts hilly paths, a picturesque pond, and an abundance of plant life, creating a tranquil atmosphere for visitors to enjoy. Additionally, the park features several statues that add to its charm.
Beautiful park in the autumn, you get to see the warm red foliage come to life. There are many artists painting amongst the peaceful garden. The grounds are well maintained, do check out the nice pond in the middle with overwater bridges, it makes for beautiful photos. Not too crowded on a weekday, you can takeaway food and snacks from the nearby grocer and bakeries. Many young families playing ball games too. An excellent place to relax and chill. Not too easy finding a trashcan though, so do keep your rubbish with you.
Ribeye — Google review
We visited the park on a Sunday, and stopped by a bakery closeby to bring some treats to eat. The park was busy, with people snacking, and playing in the large playground. It is a great location for families and nature watchers, with a pond and stream, waterfall, and many intersecting trails with varying elevation. There are benches to sit on all around the park, and big rocks and other places to rest on as well.
Heather O — Google review
Great nature spot right in the middle of a busy city. Some parts are good for baby strollers, other parts you need to climb up stairs. Offers a great place to relax and take in some nature in the middle of Tokyo Azabu area. Good spot for a nice walk, there are also some street vendors nearby selling ice cream and tacos. It also has a library, tennis court, baseball field near it. Check it out, cool spot.
OM A — Google review
Arisugawa-no-miya Memorial Park is one of Tokyo’s lovely hidden gems — especially nice for when you want a peaceful break in the middle of the city. What I liked: • The history is pretty interesting. The land belonged originally to the Morioka Nambu daimyo during the Edo period, then became part of the Arisugawa Imperial family in 1896. Eventually in 1934 Prince Takamatsu donated much of it as a public park in memory of Prince Arisugawa Taruhito. • The design is beautiful and feels natural: rolling hills, wooded areas, small valleys and ponds, bridges and streams. It’s not overly formal, which gives it a relaxed charm. • There are good facilities — playgrounds for kids, benches and shady spots, walking paths that vary (steeper in places, flatter in others), and a pond with koi and turtles which are always nice to see. • It’s very accessible: just a few minutes from Hiroo Station, located in a quiet, upscale residential + embassy neighborhood. So you get that calm, clean feel even though you’re in central Tokyo. What could be better: • Because it’s relatively small and well-used, it can feel a bit crowded in the popular times (weekends, cherry blossom season). Some areas can be a bit over-shaded, which is peaceful but maybe a little gloomy on cloudy days. • Some reviewers mention that the pond water isn’t always the clearest. Also, there may be fewer trash cans, so you might have to carry your own trash until you find a bin. • If you’re short on time & Tokyo has many big gardens, this may not be the top “must see,” but for relaxing and low-key strolling it’s excellent. Conclusion: If I were you, I’d give this park a good visit when you’re nearby — a solid 4 stars. It’s not grand or spectacular like some major landmark gardens, but for peace, history, nature, and just breathing room in the city, it really delivers.
Rob H — Google review
Unexpectedly stumbled upon this beautiful park! It is diverse in the landscape, with easily walkable paths, beautiful trees and water running through, a perfectly beautiful atmosphere.
Eve — Google review
Attractive park in a central location. Lush greenery and with various zones good for different activities. Calm ponds, spaces to work out, stairs to climb, children’s playground, and so on. Good library in the park too. Bit of a hill to climb via steps in the middle of the park. Free entry, plenty of shade, across the street from an expensive supermarket.
Timothy P — Google review
Peaceful park near a lot of embassies. A good place to come to and escape the central Tokyo madness.
André M — Google review
One of my favourite spots in the area. Always well maintained and beautiful seasonal plants. There are nice walking paths with different routes to explore and steps to climb if you are looking for some exercise and a good walk around. Also many nice benches in different areas if you want some time to relax. Great seasons to visit are spring with the cherry blossoms showing up and autumn with the changing colours of the leaves. Definitely - I'll be back!

Symbol Promenade Park ended up being one of my favorite mornings in Tokyo. I went early before the malls opened, and the whole place was incredibly quiet, peaceful, and scenic — just the way I like it. The cherry blossoms lining the walkways were stunning, and the views of Tokyo Bay with the skyline in the background felt unreal.
