Nestled in the heart of Port Macquarie, ibis Styles Port Macquarie is a modern oceanfront property that offers free Wi-Fi and an outdoor pool. The hotel is conveniently located just opposite Town Beach and within walking distance to the Historical Society Museum. With cute rooms and stunning ocean views, this romantic hotel provides a breakfast option and well-equipped rooms for guests to prepare their own meals.
I stayed in the single king size room. It was very clean and large size - great value for money. The bathroom had a large tub and complimentary soaps and shampoos were a nice addition. Very quiet at night so you'll get a good night's rest. Highly recommend staying here.
Hilary M — Google review
Good location but limited on site parking, there is street parking available. Some older Superior Ocean view rooms are looking very tired, bathrooms are not good. Other Deluxe Ocean view rooms are nicely decorated with good bathrooms. Beds in both are comfortable with great sheets and donnas. Breakfast is basic but sufficient. It’s not a 4 star hotel as rated but more a 3 star. Overpriced but the newer rooms are noticeably better than the older rooms. There is NO lifts in this hotel, just stairs.
Phil — Google review
I stayed here for one night in a King room. The room was decent simple but clean, with a comfortable bed and a spa bath. Amenities were basic but sufficient. Upon check-in, the staff were friendly, informative, and made us feel welcome. The location of the hotel was fantastic and very close to thd beach abd town centre. Unfortunately, our room was located right next to the stairwell, which meant we could hear every heavy-footed person walking up and down, and even kids jumping on the stairs. The real issue came the next morning. Around 8:30am, just after I got out of the shower and began dressing, a housekeeping staff member suddenly opened our hotel room door without knocking or announcing themselves. Startled, I quickly said, “Hello! We don’t check out until 10am.” She looked at the room number, apologised, and closed the door. Then at 9:15am, another housekeeper did the exact same thing, opened our door without warning. I acknowledged her, and she apologised and left. These two incidents made our stay feel awkward and uncomfortable, especially since I was in the middle of dressing during one of those times. It showed a lack of professionalism and respect for guests’ privacy. We ended up feeling rushed to check out. This really affected what could have been a pleasant stay.
Del R — Google review
We stayed here for one night. The location is excellent, but there were several downsides. There’s no lift, and the breakfast was extremely poor — I wouldn’t even call it breakfast. No fresh products, no bar service, and no proper breakfast room; it’s simply a small area on the stair landing, more like a solarium. The room itself was basic but spacious, clean, and the beds were very comfortable.
Paola V — Google review
The location is the only best part. Rooms are mediocre. They advertised free wifi, but the wifi is so bad. You can’t watch anything or even can’t send any message. Also the network is very bad. Overall if you are looking for place close to beach, then this hotel is good for you. Also the receptionist was very kind.
Alex G — Google review
Booked in late at night and the lady on the phone was great. But that is where is stopped. The room was like it hadn’t been cleaned. Gross pubic hair in the bath, hair on the wall of the shower. Broken tiles, mould around the bathroom corners and dirt. When I emailed, after one hour of checking in No reply and still no response. Certainly wouldn’t recommend or stay again
Bec B — Google review
Similar to other comments, the location is great, opposite the beach and a bowling club with bistro a few minuites walk away. Room was clean but bathroom looked pretty ancient. No internet connection, I heard other guests with similar complaint and it's the second time this has happened here. Room was located 2 floor up with no lift, reception asked if I needed help with luggage (I carried 2 x smaller bags) but if I arrived late with a large suitcase I'd be stuck.
Monica O — Google review
4 star? More like a 1.5 star hotel. Why? Horrible customer service. Came back from the beach after 6pm and wanted to enter the pool, the entry was already closed (supposed to be open till 7). Reception was already closed by then, so had to call their 24/7 support number using phone Infront of the reception. Then started the drama of transferring me from one customer rep to another. After 20-25 minutes and 4 customer reps later, call dropped. No swimming access for the day, no apologies later on, no explanations nothing. Also, have you ever been to a 4-star hotel where don't provide you basic amenities like toothpaste and toothbrush? Stayed for two nights, housekeepers came the first day, but was nowhere to be found on the second day. Faith in airbnbs restored.

Nestled in the heart of Port Macquarie, Mercure Centro Port Macquarie is a charming hotel that perfectly balances relaxation and adventure. Just a four-hour drive from Sydney and six hours from Brisbane, it serves as an ideal retreat for both business travelers and vacationers. The hotel boasts 72 modern rooms equipped with contemporary amenities, ensuring guests enjoy comfort during their stay.
I was going to be in Port Macquarie for just one night as part of a long road trip. I was looking for a place that was near to shops and restaurants, as well as close to the beach and other points of interest. And the place needed to be nice. Few things are worse than pulling in after a long drive and having a poor room or uncomfortable bed. The desk staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable, so I got good rest. I was able to walk to dinner, and then to breakfast in the morning. I definitely recommend this hotel if you are visiting Port Macquarie
Luke A — Google review
We stayed at this hotel for one night only. The location is good and very central, but unfortunately there were several downsides. The toilet was extremely dirty, with visible brown and yellow stains — definitely not properly cleaned. The room floor also had crumbs and appeared unclean. On a positive note, the lady at reception was very kind and immediately offered an adequate solution. Breakfast was adequate, but the cups and plates were dirty, with food residues still stuck on them. Additionally, both bowls of Greek yogurt and vanilla yogurt were completely empty by 8:30 a.m. and were never refilled. No alternative options for gluten and diary free. Not enough options. This is not a proper and detailed attention of a 4 star hotel.
Paola V — Google review
We would happily stay here for the stop over anytime or for longer. The bar staff are great and accomodating to non-alcohol drinkers. The morning breakfast divine. Coffee not for coffee snobs as usual… rooms comfy and deluxe. Can see why this is a wedding venue…Nice amenities. Leak is in underground car park.. a little concerning?

Mercure's policy on dog friendliness is excellent - from the lovely room with a small courtyard, dog bowls and dog bed, greetings from all the staff and comfortable seating at the outdoor section of the restaurant, it could not have been better. And to the less important aspects- treatment of us! These could not be improved either. Charmaine at check in and check out was wonderful - friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The room was large with everything we needed - fridge, coffee making facilities, desk and comfortable seating. The bed was excellent, the shower and towels of a very good standard, and there was plenty of space in the bathroom for cosmetics etc. Bird Rock restaurant has an interesting menu and each meal we had suggests that the chef knows exactly what they are doing. Service was great. This was my first experience of dog friendly accommodation at this level. I found the pricing and rules fair. I would return to this hotel and shall be watching out for dog friendly accommodation at this chin in the future.

1st time to Port Macquarie and feel really welcomed by Kylie at Mercure Centro. Her smile, her tone and body language show what a kind person she is. She really fits in this hospitality industry. Not everyone can do what she does. *just in case I misspelled Kylie's name, I checked in on Monday, Sept 29 around 5pm, so management can check the schedule or cctv if needed. Overall, for me staying in Mercure Centro is a great value for my money and time. I recommend to stay here when visiting Port Macquarie, because of these reasons 👇🏻 - LOCATION Strategic and easy to find using Google Maps. Signage big and clear, as you can see in one of the photos. Walking distance to shopping center, foods, and coastal walk. - PARKING Lots of parking space in front of the hotel and theres also a parking building, which I get a complimentary parking from Kylie, because of my Gold membership. - HOTEL BUILDING Hotel lobby, simple and clean. Idk if its just renovated, because i read some reviews that state this Mercure looks old or smelly, but not for me. Yes, its not a brand new and modern building. In my opinion, they successfully optimize what they have by keeping it clean and fresh. *we stay on 4th floor, btw. - ROOM Mini fridge, ironing board, kettle, hair dryer, body wash and shampoo all available. Certain amenities you should ask the receptionist. Queen Room w/ Balcony is spacious, theres a sofa and table w/ 2 chairs inside, plus coffee table w/ 2 chairs in the balcony Air conditioner and hot water in shower, working just fine. But for a few times at the beginning, the toilet flush water is brown, idk if its dirty or its some kind of bathroom/toilet care stuff. Please check. General power plug in Australia, no usb port. No big deal. One thing i would suggest to Mercure about the room is a hole in the door to see whos in front of the room. For me, makes me feel safer. Last but not least, also thanks to Carla who responded to my email. I asked Mercure in my email to set the King Room into Twin Beds and also inform about my wedding anniversary trip. Thank you for the experience, Mercure Centro 🫰🏻❤️

The good. Parking, location, friendly staff, cleanliness. The not so good. The food is not great and never had been in my multiple stays - this trip somehow managed to both overcook and undercook pork belly. Seriously underseasoned steak tartare as well. The breakfast items, for $35, were average at best with the sausages dry, no white bread left at 0800. A pity because it is a great location for the price and reception staff are always nice.
M J — Google review
This is a destination hotel in its own right. We only stayed 1 night but would have stayed longer if time was available. The reception staff were extremely helpful, plenty of parking was available and the rooms were fresh clean and comfortable. We had booked the breakfast and were not disappointed as the cooked was the best we had encountered since leaving UK c. 2 months previously! Would choose to stay again.
Jeremy R — Google review
I selected this hotel because it was the only Accor Hotel out of 4 that had a restaurant, and I booked for 7 nights, even though it was 15% more expensive, not including breakfast. There was a lot of confusion over what an Accor Gold Card was and what discount was applied ( essentially, initially, my gold card was rejected because I was told it should have Accor Plus on the card, (which they don't) while they checked the validity of my card with reception. I felt like some counterfeit bandit, LOL. Then came the special menu items that were not covered by the discount, like all side dishes. The steak came comando so sides were necessary. Then, after giving up on the restaurant the next night, I discovered why the others don't have one. The amount of great dining in close proximity was amazing. I paid $50 for a steak at Mercure, and two other places close by were $32 and $44 and came with sides. So even without the Accor Gold 30% discount, our evening meal for two elsewhere was about the same cost. Breakfast we had prepaid and was pretty good if you could wait for the items that had run out, which was every morning instead of one. Would I stay there again? No

Mantra The Observatory in Port Macquarie is a luxurious hotel with a hot tub, indoor pool, sauna, spa, and restaurant/bar. It's ideally located by the ocean and within walking distance of attractions like the Port Macquarie Astronomical Association Observatory and Town Beach. Guests can enjoy various recreational activities such as swimming in the indoor pool or relaxing in the spa tub. The accommodation also offers complimentary Wi-Fi access and tour/ticket assistance.
I've been staying at The Observatory in Port Macquarie since its opening, for both personal and work reasons, and each time I've found the suites and facilities to be exemplary, staff to be exceptional and services outstanding. It's my go-to accommodation when in the area. The view across to Town Beach is phenomenal, perfect to watch while relaxing with a cold beer and some prawns. There is a great little coffee joint on street level and a nice little Italian restaurant on hand. Walking distance to town, perfect location, what more could you ask for.
Keoke T — Google review
I was recommended this option by experienced travellers, and it did not disappoint. Exceptionally clean, sheets unusually soft and high quality, probably the nicest indoor hotel pool and spa I’ve ever swum in, and by far the best view. Air conditioning unit with remote control. The hotel is situated across the road from the beach, with a cafe downstairs. I enjoyed the 20 minute walk to the local mall for supplies as most of the route is beachfront. I appreciated the addition of a toaster and some cutlery as well as a kettle, as the waterfront view meant I wanted to bring food back to enjoy it! Parking is free and undercover. Thanks for making my holiday special.
Emily B — Google review
I booked an apartment with 2 bedrooms. The view from the room directly faces the sea and garden. Very beautiful in the morning while watching the sunrise. I checked in at night, and luckily I still found the reception, Ms.Savannah (after 9 pm they had left the location). The rooms here are quite clean, comfortable. But I think it's time to do a renovation. Parking can be on the side of the road in front of the hotel and there is also in the back building.

Brilliant location with a pedestrian crossing straight out front which takes you to Main beach Port Macquarie. Great access to beautiful walking tracks which takes you along the coast.Superb views onto the beach and Hastings river & horizon! Rooms are well maintained up to date we come to visit family here & it's the only place we ever stay! Proximity to a huge bowling club gives you access to family friendly place for great food and playground for kids. Brilliant coffee place out front & on coast tracks also with bonus skate park & playgrounds . Staff are friendly and professional nothing is a problem for them. The indoor pool and spa area with sauna is awesome.Highly recommended!!

Bloody good spot to stay! 🏖️ The beach is just a stroll away- perfect for catching the sunrise, chilling at sunset, or jumping in for a swim or surf. 🏄‍♂️☀️ The place is super clean, with an indoor pool as a bonus. Heaps of food options around too, so it’s easy as to grab a feed. Front desk crew were lovely and welcoming. All up, top value for the location. Would definitely recommend if you’re keen on a beach getaway. 🌊💛

Booked last minute on a Roadtrip down to Sydney from brisbaine. Beautiful views ocean room , friendly service, secure parking, close proximity to restaurants and beach. Would highly recommend.
Emma R — Google review
Had a lovely stay and only a 2-5 min drive to the shops, only difficulty was figuring out the location of the longer parking but once you figure it out it’s alright. However, the only and important negative we found was that the shower and drinking water smelled and tasted extremely chlorinated. We tried to drink it for the first day and it was worse after it had been sat in the jug for an hour, it smelled as if we took the jug to the pools and dipped it in to fill it up. My hair felt dry after showering and my skin smelled like I’d been swimming in the pool too. It has to be a hotel issue as we had tap water in different cafes and restaurants nearby and had no issues with the taste. We did go to reception to ask about if the water was supposed to be like this and she dismissed us pretty quickly and seemed to have her back up about it being “port Macquarie water” and having her own filter at home. If the hotel staff know the water is bad in the hotel I don’t see why they don’t at least provide a couple of bottles of water to help, or get filters on the taps too. Other than the water we had no problems with our stay here. All but one of the staff we found to be extremely lovely and helpful.

The apartment was perfectly located with unhindered views towards the beachfron (even though we could t see the beach from our lower floor). It was very spacious for a one bedroom apartment and had everything you could need.

Rydges Port Macquarie is a delightful retreat that perfectly blends comfort and style, situated right in the bustling heart of the CBD. Guests can enjoy airy rooms and apartments, some boasting stunning views of the Hastings River. The hotel has recently undergone extensive renovations, enhancing its appeal while maintaining a relaxed atmosphere. Just steps away from the waterfront, visitors have easy access to nearby theatres, galleries, restaurants, and beautiful beaches for outdoor adventures.
Rooms were stunning but would have liked a bigger sink in room to wash baby bottles. Location is great with water views but not enough parking unless you pay extra for parking. Staff were amazing, very accommodating and helpful.

The hotel has been fully renovated and is gorgeous!! They offer room service and the pool is beautiful. A family of 4, we stayed in one room with 2 queen beds and the room had enough space to accommodate us comfortably. Location is perfect. Parking is around $30 but its easy and worth spending the money rather than trying to find a park miles away. We will be back! I highly recommend.

I had the best night sleep during our 3 night stay so much so I have googled where to buy the mattresses. So comfortable. We did have a small issue with our apartment on check in but after speaking with Nicole who was so accommodating and professional she moved us to another apartment on the same floor, a quick move and perfect stay. Very central location Buffet breakfast was good It would be good to have a complimentary movie or sport channel.

Perfect location for Port Mac. Excellent views if you can swing a water view room. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean, beds and pillows comfy (not too soft, not too firm). And the rooms offer privacy (both for you and your neighbours).

Property is in the best location at Port Macq. with unforgettable views. Jessica at the front desk provided world class customer service. Hotel staff made sure we received an outstanding welcome with a free bottle of bubbly and a handwritten card for our wedding anniversary. Hotel falls short by not providing bath robes or slippers. Otherwise it would have been 5-star. Charging another $30 per night for secured parking seems a bit excessive. Zebu restaurant downstairs has excellent customer service and very generous servings. “Small” dishes were huge and their fries were massive. $10 off food/ beverages at Zebu if you skip a room clean - they call it a green card. Great idea!

A beautiful establishment, from the moment you walk through the door you are made feel welcomed. Staff are always smiling and happy to have a chat, they went above and beyond to make our stay a memorable one. If you’re thinking of visiting then look no further for accommodation . Does not disappoint.

Was told i had a newly renovated room Room was nice but showers were cold. Not a happy customer. They need to fix their thermostatic mixing valve in their new bathroom its only letting you have a cold shower Stay somewhere else is my advice

Bit of a disappointing stay, I have loved staying here since the hotel rooms on floor 1-4 have been upgraded, unfortunately there is a massive gap between those rooms and the room on floors 5 and up. Multiple issues with the room, the TV didn't work, and was one some home made TV unit, room had aged, and the sliding door didn't seal so there was a constant whistle.

Mantra Quayside Port Macquarie is a relaxed apartment hotel located in the heart of Port Macquarie, just five kilometers from the airport. It offers unfussy units and features a rooftop terrace with a pool and BBQ area. The hotel is conveniently situated near a shopping mall, cinemas, restaurants, cafes, nightclubs, public transport, the beach, and Hastings River. Guests can relax by the heated rooftop pool while admiring views of the charming seaside town.
We were there for only one night but wished it had been longer if the the weather was OK. My wife and I had only a Studio Room but it was a reasonable size, 30sqms and very adequate for us. A great little kitchen, good bathroom with plenty of supplies and an excellent shower. We also had our own private balcony. It was modern, very comfortable, we'd be happy to stay there for much longer. By the way, the bed was good. The roof top pool was very nice and the gym is well equipped. There is also a roof top BBQ and ample tables and chairs, it is here that we had our dinner, take-away bought from the Indian Restaurant on the ground floor, we enjoyed it all very much. The hotel is located very near the path that runs immediately adjacent to the river and then to the beach. We didn't have time but we understand that the path goes for a very long way south if you feel inclined. The parking was excellent. Good place !!!

I had a disappointing experience at Port Mantra Hotel in Port Macquarie. The hotel charges excessively high rates without delivering a corresponding level of service or quality. Upon check-out, they deducted a $200 bond from my account, citing that my room smelled of smoke. This feels unjust, especially when the hotel is equipped with smoke alarms , when i was leaving she didn’t tell me something and she wait that i leave Furthermore, I found the reception staff to be unprofessional and lacking in proper communication skills. The overall experience felt more like a money-making operation than a genuine hospitality service. I cannot recommend this hotel based on my experience

This hotel is an all-around banger in the heart of Port Macquarie! Great location with waterfront views. Fantastic rooms that are sizable, clean, and all that you need. The front desk staff woman was very friendly, helpful, and wonderful to deal with. Plenty of parking options on site and off site. Definitely would recommend if you're staying in Port Macquarie!

Have stayed twice so far, with more stays to follow. I travel for business and the rooms are large, clean and bright. Location is ideal with Coles within walking distance. Room is quiet and very well equipped.
Josh H — Google review
Good location with secure parking, decent size room and bathroom (TP 3.5/5), and a nice balcony, overall cleanliness was very good 4/5. Check-in was fine, although a $200 security deposit, when room already paid in full, was a bit much (especially when it's deducted instantly, and then at the mercy of the bank, after check-out, as to when it is returned to the account), actual check-out was great, quick and easy.
Ys D — Google review
This is a great location if you want a secure apartment in the centre of Port Macquarie. Secure parking and all the basic facilities you'd expect in the apartment including WiFi. Great outdoor BBQ area on the roof with a heated pool. Gym facilities are ok with a sauna (that seems a bit temperamental). Got a great rate though Wotif. Only downside is the room was never serviced during our 4 day stay.

Nestled along the picturesque Hastings River, Sails Port Macquarie by Rydges offers a contemporary retreat just a short drive from the vibrant town center. This riverside hotel is designed to immerse guests in its stunning surroundings, featuring an open-plan foyer and large windows that invite natural light and breathtaking views. With amenities like an infinity pool, spa, fitness center, and tennis courts, relaxation is at your fingertips.
We stayed for one night on the way back to Sydney. Booked the Superior room and we were lucky to get the breathtaking water view looking at the marina. The room was quite away from the pool crowd. It was a perfect location less than 5 minutes drive to all the stores, e.g., Woolworths, petrol station, and local restaurants, which are within 5-10 minutes drive. It was relaxing to stay at the Sails Port Macquarie. The staff were friendly, and the room was immaculately clean! The best place to stay in Port Macquarie; we will definitely return to this hotel.

Attention to detail is overlooked. Firstly even if you are busy, reception should look up and acknowledge you are standing there, the rooms are nice but we had two simple requests and neither of which were met one was rectified on day two of our stay. The breakfast buffet oh my goodness, I think a lesson on how to cook bacon would be appropriate it’s not often the only thing left on people's plate is the bacon. It was so greasy and yet so dry, scrambled eggs would be so much better if they were not floury. My husband resorted to vegetation breakfast and he loves a big breakfast. Was such a shame.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating, gifting us a surprise & delight for our stay with an upgrade and helping us when we had to leave early. They were incredible and very friendly. Unfortunately the rooms leave a little to be desired. The lobby bar music penetrates the room and can be heard until after 10pm at night, and neighbours can be heard from balconies and hallways even with doors closed which feels a bit interruptive. Paying hotel guests also have to pay additional $15 a day for parking which isn’t disclosed clearly at time of booking and really should be absorbed or added to the room fees for guest perception. Port Macquarie is mostly a driving destination after all.

We recently stayed at Sails Port Macquarie, and overall it was a lovely experience. The room (King + 2 Singles) accommodated our family of 4 comfortably and was relatively clean (apart from a dead cockroach above the doorway, which was a bit of a surprise). Otherwise, everything was tidy and well-kept. We stayed in a room by the pool, which was surprisngly quiet once the doors were closed. The direct gate access from our balcony to the pool was convenient, though it was shared with the neighbouring room, so not completely private. The pool and spa area is fantastic - we visited at the tail end of school holidays, so it was peaceful and at times we had the pool entirely to ourselves. Plenty of pool towels available too, which was great. The restaurant was okay. The buffet breakfast was the same each day, decent but not particularly memorable. The restaurant staff were polite, though service felt more functional than warm. For a destination-style resort, a touch more hospitality and friendliness would elevate the experience. Parking was easy, and for EV drivers, there are two chargers on-site. However, only one was working during our stay, and the other wouldn’t connect with our car, so we had to drive to the BP in Thrumster to charge (~10 mins away). Bonus mention: the resort’s many resident water dragons - they’re everywhere! Friendly enough and part of the charm. All in all, Sails is a beautiful and comfortable place to stay in Port Macquarie. It's close to some great beaches, an amazing sunset (visit the lighthouse), and some decent restaurants. A few small tweaks in service and attention to detail would easily make it a 5-star experience.

We came back to The Sails to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary after getting married here a year ago. The service was amazing and Stephanie (events coordinator and Nathan manager of bookings, have been amazing to facilitate us to have a fabulous time. Aimee was our host for dinner and she remembered us from last year which was really nice . Complimentary wine and breakfast was provided during our stay and was really appreciated. We definitely recommend this place to stay and to hold a wedding too. Thank you so much and we will definitely be back soon xx

Loved our stay here. Our room was clean and comfortable, overlooking the marina. It couldn't get any better!!. We stayed for the buffet breakfast, which we both enjoyed very much. Would definitely stay here again. The best place I have stayed in Port Macquarie, so far😊

We are so happy to have found this place! One night stop over on way north and wishing we booked longer. Reception very friendly, rooms clean and well equipped for a motel, bathroom renovation very cute and best shower I’ve had in a long time! Water views, situated right in town and beside a gorgeous walk along water. Has private grass / picnic area, pool overlooking water, spas, complimentary cruiser bikes for borrowing. Beautiful! Will definitely be back.

A great motel situated right in the centre of Port Macquarie with good on site parking. The service was excellent. The rooms whilst not large are more than adequate and exceptionally clean with everything you need. There is a lovely pool and two hot spas which again were spotless. Ideal location to access restaurants and cafes and to be able to stroll along the sea wall. The views from the rooms are great and the sunsets were memorable. Would be very happy to return to this property o. Any subsequent visits to Port Macquarie .

Stayed one night brilliant location. A pre booked, under cover ev charging bay was available straight away and was ‘free’ for overnight charging. Hotel doesn’t supply meals, but that was understandable as there is so much choice of cafes, restaurants nearby. A very minor point, the rooms probably need a touch up in places with paint etc. I would definitely stay here again, without a doubt.

We have been visiting Port Mac for many years now, and Mid Pacific remains our place of choice...... A stunning location on the banks of the river and conveniently in the heart of town.. Staff are cheerful, polite, friendly, helpful and unobtrusive. Many thanks to Donna and Ian,..the nicest management team we have ever met... We unreservedly recommend this place to anyone wishing to visit the area..

The location is fantastic, the upgrades have been executed well. It feels like a home away from home! Beautiful garden area, clean pool. Receptionist Liz, was absolutely fantastic with everything we needed. Caretakers Donna and her husband went above and beyond our entire stay. All other staff we encountered were friendly. Highly highly recommend and we will definitely be staying here again.

Booked a last minute 2 night stay here whilst visiting family and I got exceptionally lucky. I almost don’t want to leave a review so this place can remain a hidden gem. The rooms have been renovated, are spotlessly clean, and are beautiful with all the amenities one could need. The balcony we had overlooked the river and was a perfect sunset spot. Location wise, you couldn’t ask for anything better. Everything you could possibly need is within walking distance and plenty of onsite free parking. The man on the front desk was warm, genuine, and incredibly kind and made the check in process super smooth. Felt like checking in at a family run place (which I think it is)!

Surrounded by lush greenery, this family-friendly haven offers an array of amenities including a refreshing outdoor pool, a rejuvenating spa, and a well-equipped gym. Guests can choose from spacious studios, apartments, or suites adorned with contemporary decor for ultimate comfort.
The presidential rooms are phenomenal, personal jacuzzis, lovely bathrooms and beds and even a secret pathway direct to the beach! Plenty of space for everyone with a large table and lounge. The only complaint is that showers are a little small in the king single rooms. Staff throughout the hotel are incredibly sweet and helpful. A must stay!

We had a lovely stay at Club Wyndham. The staff were extremely pleasant, especially Rachel who we had direct contact with. The apartment was clean, well appointed and spacious with a lovely balcony where the birds would join us for lunch. There was a restaurant with helpful staff and happy hour. The second bedroom was annoying that the window faced into the landing with a very bright light outside. The pool was heated and huge. Probably the largest pool we had in a while with a large spa. Also had sauna and kids room. Bit of a walk to town, but beach close by. Great Blue Whale Asian restaurant down the road and good coffee shop. I would recommend this resort but be prepared for hard sell on time share.

We have had a great week here. It’s such a cosy little resort. Onsite restaurant provides room delivery. Good is excellent. The pool area is a great place to relax. Pool is heated to 28 degrees. Kids retreat provides games and activities. We will definitely stay again.

My wife and I had a wonderful time for our 46th last year and 47th Wedding anniversary five night stay this year. The service was excellent from all staff and also Henry's restaurant went out of their way to please as my wife has allergies and the prices were very reasonable. Room clean, bed very comfy. The pool and adult spa was well looked after and relaxing. Shops and many beaches close by. Also had a few pats of the Lorikeets which came to our balcony while we shared an apple. My wife and I highly recommend this beautiful environment.

I stayed at Wyndham Hotel Flynns Beach and overall had a really good experience. The location is perfect — just a 5-minute walk to the beach and close to plenty of local food spots. The room was decent, clean and comfortable, though a little outdated and could use a refresh. The pool area was a highlight — warm, inviting, and great for all ages, though you might spot a few lizards around so just keep that in mind. The gym is well-equipped, and it was fun having access to extras like a pool table and table tennis. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The Wi-Fi worked well for phones, but I couldn’t get my PS5 to connect, which was a bit disappointing. The on-site restaurant had good food at very reasonable prices, which was super convenient. Overall, a great spot for a beachside getaway with plenty to do both in and around the hotel.

I booked a two bedroom apartment for two nights. The apartment is equipped with a washing machine, a tumble dryer, a cook top, and even a spa in the bathroom. The location is excellent which is close to the city center. It has its own secured car park. It's close to the beach. But there is also a swimming pool of 1.2 meter deep and a spa pool which are very suitable for the kids.

Didn’t enjoy my stay as the noise from the TV in the room next door was excessively loud. Maybe the walls between rooms are a bit too thin which is a negative if you value your sleep. Location is convenient and staff were friendly upon checkin.

Highly, highly recommend Macquarie Waters! From our initial phone calls to the end of our stay, every interaction was fantastic, helpful and lovely (from the receptionist, to check-in and even through to the wonderful cleaners). The property is exceptionally maintained, well presented, clean, calm, comfortable, well appointed and enjoyable - and that’s not even mentioning the amazing view from our balcony and the wonderful rooftop spa area! The location is also ideal - great little coffee shops close by and pubs/eateries and shopping centres also just a quick walk away. Honestly, do yourself a favour and stay here if you are going to Port Macquarie!!

They don’t have lift and we were on level 3, actually 4 stairs including garage. Especially when check out, we were requested to bring the garbage to the bin which is in garage , means you have to carry all the stuff and the garbage all the way to garage! It is not family friendly . The reasons are: 1. the kitchen facilities are really poor. Pans are horribly scratched and only 2 tiny sauce pans available. We were hoping to cook some quick dinner cause we arrived quite late but it is not convenient. 2. You only could have shower in the bath tub which has a huge step, it is quite difficult for senior. My mum did not take shower cause she did not want to climb in and out the bath tub. Other things should be improved: 1. Bedsheets has stain. 2. The pool is supposed to be opened from 8am. I was there since 7:56am, wait 10 minutes and not sure what happened. There is no instructions. Until I asked someone passing by and she helped me to go to reception to check then the lady there opened the lock. The staff said ,sorry for the late, only 5 minutes late though. What a reply! 5 minutes is not big deal, but at least some instructions available so we could know that we need to get the key from reception.

Pro’s- We liked the location of the property, 5 min walk to the beach, playgrounds nearby, walkable to restaurants etc. It has garage parking, a good pool, although a little cold even on a nice hot day, staff are lovely and helpful also. Great wifi and has fans and aircon. Con’s - lots of stairs if your on the top floor - we ended up with a disabled bathroom which had no bath or shower screen and the curtain doesn’t really keep the water in, very messy with 2 kids. No vanity or space to keep your toiletries. The bathroom needs work, moldy, dirty and run down. Bathroom door didn’t close properly or lock, hairdryer is falling apart also. There was a lot of thick dust and dirt build up around the place, cupboard shelves were dirty etc, needs more a thorough clean between guests as it looks like it’s been there a while. All in all it’s a good place to stay but cleaning could be better, it definitely has potential but needs some work

Paid for a ocean view which is more like a pool view. Not like the ocean view photo on the website very disappointed. Bathroom very small. Water pressure is good under the small shower head. The 2 bedroom apartment is clean and tidy. Overall there are better apartments with nicer ocean views in Port Macquarie for the same price.

Fantastic location and apartment rental. The front desk worker was very delightful and had great energy. The location is prime having views of the Tasman Sea right at your doorstep. The wifi connection is lackluster, but that's the only negative, so I definitely would reccommend!
Jordan S — Google review
A very pleasant stay over the weekend. Huge apartment, crazy comfortable bed, hot shower, well equipped kitchens, washer and dryer in the room. Basically everything I look for when staying over the weekend while on business. Would definitely say this place is geared more towards families, with its little waterpark, all the kids I saw around seem to be having a ball. Didn't find the place to be that loud even with the kids. Staff are friendly and the grounds seem to be well kept. Nothing broken. A couple of minor things that stood out to me, one was that there was a window in my apartment that faced the stairs, but didn't have a block out blind, so you could see right into my apartment at night, a little odd considering every other window had block out blinds on them 🤔. Another was that my room was right above the carpark entrance, so you could very clearly hear the auto door going up and down when cars came and went. It didn't really bother me that much, and I'm sure that these two little things only apply to that ONE apartment, so take it with a grain of salt and don't let it put you off. Overall is a great place to stay, and at the current price point, I would totally stay there again. THE GOOD: ✅ Huge, clean & modern apartments. ✅ Hot shower with good pressure. ✅ Washer & Dryer in the room. ✅ Crazy comfortable bed. ✅ Well equipped kitchen. ✅ Cold AC. ✅ Soundproofed rooms (I didn't hear anyone). ✅ Secure, Reserved Undercover Parking per Apartment . THE NOT-SO-GOOD: My apartment had a few things specific to THAT apartment, but nothing that should effect the overall rating of the place, so I'll exclude them from this list, I've already summarised them above.
Jet D — Google review
Nice small apartment with views of the ocean. Not great communication about getting to rooms though. 3rd floor it's up stairs the whole way, as a person with a chronic medical condition made it 10x worse climbing stairs with suitcases.

Customer service is really bad! I reserved and paid all the costs on Wednesday, and I made an appointment to be Saturday then I will come. I booked through the App Booking.com, the place where I clearly confirmed my order but I did not receive any email for booking instructions. I moved the long distance from Sydney to the accommodation but there was no one at the reception desk (they had to stay there during the time I arrived at 2 pm on Saturday). When I asked other guests, they all received an email on how to check in. This was really annoying, I called the stay of 12 calls but no one answered. I need anyone in the management board to solve this problem and refund all the money I had to pay. This is an extremely bad experience!

I’ve stayed at South Pacific apartments in the past for work but this was the first time I brought the family as it ticked all the boxes for what my family love. The beach, a pool, a clean self contained apartment and being close to shops and amenities. Well we stayed for 4 nights and it did not disappoint. The looks of joy on the faces of my kids when they arrived, the squeals of laughter when they played in the pool and the excitement every morning when they looked out the window and saw the beach from the balcony, words cannot describe the joy it gave me. We will definitely be back in the not too distant future as my kids keep asking me when we are going back.

Tacking Point Lighthouse, a charming white cement structure with a keeper's cottage, was constructed in 1879 on a rugged headland. The area offers various activities such as dolphin watching, visiting the Koala Hospital, exploring hidden rock pools and rainforest boardwalks, and admiring the tallest waterfall in NSW.
This lookout offers absolutely stunning views! If you’re anywhere near the area, you can’t miss it. It’s the perfect spot to take in the landscape, snap a few photos, and just enjoy the moment. Great place to stop and take a break – totally worth it!

Second light house on my visit to Australia. Port Macquarie is a nice place with several areas to go and see the sites as well as sit and relax. This one was easy to find parking and casual stroll about. It is winter in Australia at this time so it can be a bit cool and breezy so keep that in mind if visiting (although during the day while the sun is out, it's not that bad)
Gaagle P — Google review
We stopped here 2yrs ago and the upgrades they have made are A+! The elevated board walk is magic, the extra seating is a great addition and the anchored binoculars are a wonderful idea (they could have been a little taller and there could have been a set on every observation deck). Beautifully restored and maintained. We got to see some whales in the distance and the binoculars definitely helped!
Bernice M — Google review
Such a lovely view of the sea. From the top of the cliff, this small light house section gives you a panoramic view of the sea. Both sides of the sea stretching across kilometres. A must visit point to sometime in the area !

Whether you drive straight to Tacking Point Lighthouse or take the 3 hour coastal walk from Port Macquarie, the views here are stunning. The lighthouse is automated these days with LED lights though that does not take away from the nostalgia and history. There are many placards that detail the history and sights. During certain times of the year, you can see whales migrating up and down the coast. If you want to can walk down to lighthouse beach or have a picnic on the grounds.

Fantastic views from the top where the light house is situated with the ocean braking over the rock formations, the beach is awesome Getting to the top of the Lighthouse requires climbing some steps. There is some car parking at the top and bottom of the Lighthouse. Well worth a visit

Packed in like sardines- glad we weren’t there when it was full. Glad we were there an only a quick nightly stop over. Shower/toilets clean. Very open to anyone as there aren’t fences along the break wall. Lock everything up. Nice and close to town. Unfortunately for us, it wasn’t our ideal park.
Melinda G — Google review
We stayed in the Caravan Park, which is very large and was well supported, as there park was very full. The sites are of generous proportions, although the roads are narrow, in places. The amenities were clean and modern and easily coped with the high volume of campers. We will come back again.
Bruce H — Google review
This was, without question, the single worst pool experience imaginable — a true disaster zone masquerading as a swimming facility. The chlorine smell was so intense it felt like standing in a vat of chemicals; my eyes were stinging, my throat was raw, and I could practically taste bleach in the air. The water was cloudy and filthy, filled with floating hair, plasters, and other unidentifiable objects that made it look more like a swamp than a pool. The pool area itself was appalling. The tiles were slimy and treacherously slippery, the air was thick and humid with a sour, moldy stench, and the walls and ceiling were stained with what looked like years of neglect. I honestly thought parts of the ceiling might collapse. The changing rooms were disgusting too — puddles of murky water across the floor, showers that reeked of rot, and an overall feeling that the entire place was breeding bacteria by the second. Noise levels were unbearable, with machinery clanging constantly over the deafening echo of screams. The pool area was scattered with trash, soggy towels, and even insects crawling near the benches. At one point, I thought I saw something moving in the water that definitely wasn’t human. The only redeeming quality was the kindness of the staff, who remained patient and welcoming despite clearly working in conditions that could only be described as hazardous. Their friendliness was commendable, but it did nothing to disguise the reality: this facility should be condemned, not open to the public.

Had a perfect stay in Studio cabin 3. Fully decked out with kitchenette, small seating area, verandah with outdoor setting, soft towels and spotless in every way. Staff at booking and check in were great fun ( they were actual people ) and made my stay enjoyable. Yes I’d go back.
Terry R — Google review
Stayed at the powered site for 2 nights, the park is in a great location but it is very packed and tight! Amenities are ok, but barely any pressure in shower and water variates temperature as your showering! Gutters are ridiculous, put some grates over them, I'm sure you make enough money to do that. Along with the bins being far away, at least have some near the BBQ. And why is there only 1 camp kitchen? It's a very large holiday park and feel that it is ridiculous to expect campers to walk so far with supplies to make a meal! Also I was near the sewage dump point and the smell was disgusting. In future I would much prefer to stay at another holiday park that isn't so commercial.

Great cabins to staying virtually new great king bed, loverly shower. Booked one night then went back another night. Price went up by $10 from 150 to 160. About an hour later got a text with an offer for the date of the extra night for $30 less. But was told at reception that they could not give us the discount. Also told me if a person come and were to wait it probably won't come along. So to me the offer is a waist of time Was told that a lady took the offer given here but missed out because somebody else booked before they accepted the offer.Very disappointing and quite frustrating. Without that mayhem our visit would have been totally wonderful.

10/10 would recommend. Staff were very lovely and accomodating. Rooms were renovated, spacious and very clean. Beds super comfy!!! Restaurant food was amazing and great wine. The only thing I would give feedback on, is no exhaust fan In the bathroom and no elevator to get to the rooms, you have to climb stairs with bags. But other than that would definitely come back! Thanks for having us

Great stay. Chck-in was excellent with fantastic service by Mia and Andy. My room was great, clean and comfy. Decided to dine at the restaurant for dinner, and again had fantastic service from Joe and Jacob. My meal was delicious and well priced. Parking is free and the location is within walking distance to CBD with lovely water views. HIGHLY RECOMMEND ❤ AND...they also have a number of PET FRIENDLY rooms available.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5-Star Service from Mia and Joe! From the moment I arrived, Mia and Joe went above and beyond to make our experience exceptional. Their warm, professional attitude and genuine willingness to help stood out immediately. Mia was incredibly attentive and made sure every detail was taken care of, while Joe handled each situation with calm efficiency and a smile. What impressed us most was their teamwork and dedication. If you're looking for a place where customer service truly shines, Mia and Joe are the reason to come back. They’re a credit to the team and made my stay memorable for all the right reasons.

Hotel is situated near the water in a great location. Walking distance to wharf/inlet, shops, restaurants and cafes. Room was spacious with good amenities (fridge, coffee/tea, ironing board/iron, hairdryer, body wash/shampoo/conditioner. We had a problem with plumbing/drainage in our room but it was quickly rectified and staff were willing to move us whilst the problem was investigated. Beds a little too soft for me (like a firm mattress). Buffet breakfast available, bar area with happy hour and coffee available on premises (did not try any of these so unfortunately cant comment on whether good or bad 😄 Although on a main road, the room was nice and quiet of a night.

My wife and I have been to this hotel se eral times each year for a few years now and have generally been happy. The location is great, many of the rooms have been renovated and the barman is very friendly, unlike the rest of the staff. On our last two visits we have been allocated upstairs rooms and there is no lift. We are both getting on in years and don't find it easy to lug our bags up tje stairs. Consequently on this latest occassion we booked and paid for a downstairs room. This was confirmed by email. We arrived to find that our original designated room had been crossed out and replaced with an upstairs unrenovated room. My wife approached reception and queried and objected to the change. The receptionists response was essentially "Too bad, we're booked out." My wife asked to speak to the manager but was told that he had gone home. My wife then asked the receptionist to call him and ask him to call my wife. He did not. We booked and paid for a service we did not receive and that is simply unacceptable.

Loved staying here with our fur baby. Staff amazing, restaurant amazing. Made us feel so welcome. Will recommend to others. ( on the other side the disinfectant was a tad too strong in the room and should have been aired before bed got there. However still 5 star

My all time favourite hotel! I have been staying here for years every time I come to Port. It has everything you need, comfortable rooms, casting availability on the tv (huge must for me) room service, a pool, restaurant and bar, water views, close walk to everything, affordable prices. Tonight I couldn’t connect to room service through the website and reception sorted it all out for me and it was delivered to my room within the half hour. I will never stay anywhere else in Port Macquarie.
Danielle D — Google review
The motel was nice, our room had recently been renovated, the shower was HOT and unreal water pressure! Was amazing! The bed was ok, nothing to write home about, but not super uncomfortable. I would recommend to ask for another blanket though, I was pretty chilli all night, but the room it too small to out the heater on for too long, it gets a bit stuffy. Other than that it was in a great location, the room was nice and I have no real complaints 😀

Absolutely loved this place! We only stayed one night as a stop over on the way home from the Gold Coast. Was a very last minute decision that we dont regret! Room was so clean, beds so comfy and the staff amazingly accommodating. We are now actually planning on coming back to holiday at Port Macquarie and definitely will stay here. Great pool. Great spa. Awesome games room area. BBQs. And all centrally located. Cant wait to go back!

Had a fantastic stay here for 5 days at Port Pacific. We stayed in room 705 a 1 bedroom apartment with a pullout sofa for our 23 year old daughter. First up it has a sea view which is fabulous from just to your left the river or port to the ocean on the right. Very relaxing view on a big verandah. Plus the bedroom has a smaller verandah too. Bathroom attached to bedroom and a small kitchen with microwave no oven but a small stovetop and all the essential items you'll need. Salt pepper mini milk tea coffee and a few toilet rolls. Excellent firmish but plush king bed with duck down pillows that are luxurious! View also over the pool and the township... Parking in basement downstairs. Fabulous games pool table table tennis pinball machines etc... tennis court is smallish and being refurbished atm... Pool is fabulous and also a small baby pool, all fenced.... Ps 15 dollar pancake day on Tuesdays at hotel is excellent 👌 Only loungeroom is airconed but it's big and fans in bedroom with awesome breeze from the ocean... Port is fairly old fashioned in my view but very peaceful with friendly people and good shopping. Staff at hotel are lively and a few minutes walk to Port Central Shopping centre with a big IGA expensive though.... but got coles and woolworths not far either. Our best food experience was Saffrons just down the road and Mike's seafood had best fish and chips.. Only issue at hotel is rubbish chutes near lifts ughhhhhhh but got used to it. Overall ill definitely be going back.....

Stunning place to stay! Awesome views. Great pool & spas. Clean & tidy. Friendly staff. Large bbq areas. Safe parking underground.
Titanic S — Google review
While the room was clean and the staff friendly, we experienced a lot of street traffic and pool noise. Despite being closed, the windows and doors let in plenty of sound! Our one bedroom with water view also had a bit of a disappointing outlook. The resort was clearly popular with families and is close to many restaurants and cafes. Very expensive for a 2 night weekend stay.

Best accommodation I've ever been to. Very clean room, although had to climb quite a few stairs. Will definitely go here again sometime.

We booked a week in advance to stay for two nights at Flynns Beach Resort for our first Valentine’s Day. Once we received confirmation I also sent a request to the resort if we can have a room on the first floor. Contacted the resort in the morning to also confirm of our arrival. An hour prior to arrival I contacted the resort to check if room is available. To our surprise the manager advised us that we have a room on tge 2nd floor and the room’s airconditioning isn’t working. There was an electrician in your trying to fix the Airconditioning. But you can check-in. The electrician advised us it could take all day to fix it?! Or indefinitely as it is a big job. Not one person from the resort contacted us to advise us of the issue. Driving 4.5 hours to get to Port Macquarie to only find out once I contacted the resort? What’s happened to supposedly 4.5 star rating? Not great at all. We requested compensation or refund. Manager says, ‘I’ll refund your money after advising Booking.com. What’s happening to customer service? So we had to find an alternative place for us.
Maritoni S — Google review
Both "heated pools" are icy cold, and everything is fees applied, so what was the cost of the resort for? Even the smelly small soaps are a dollar each which unfortunately i didn't realise until after i opened a packet and then had to wash my hands with face soap i brought with me to get the smell off. Ive never seen a fees applied for these small soap and tea packets at any other bnb or inn that ive been to. Nearby the beach and in a lush bush is also a stretch. The rooms are also so dusty, leaving my bag against the walls, it will come of with a layer of dust.
Jyoti K — Google review
The apartment was spacious, well equiped, full kitchen with small dishwasher, bath tub was also spacious. The location was wonderful as it's located right across the beach. There were some instructions that you need to know, that you must take out your rubbish, and clean the kitchen equipment/dishes before check out (or start the dish washer). There were two things that I would like to point out. The rooms close to the reception were right next to the pub and was quit loud with music and all when we visited around friday 7pm, and lasted until 11pm ish. Other thing was the fridge was not functioning as the massive frost was blocking the air vent which resulted our ice cream completely melted and not being able to make ice cubes for our water bottles. The ice cube container was in the freezer for 2 nights and the water was just slightly cold. Dissapointments does not end here, we kindly advised the accommodation that the fridge was not functioning and the inconvinience we had, however, no reply for 10 days. Hence, this review, very dissapointed. I hope the guests stayed after us did not have the same inconvinience.
Tsuki M — Google review
The place is ok for the amount of money we paid but pools aren’t very clean. And there are no lifts. If u got room at 3 Rd floor then 50 stairs to go up. There is not even ramp to put prams upstairs. In case u have an elderly parent with you then you are screwed. Will not recommend as no lifts and so hard to get baggage at 3rd floor. Will not visit again.
Sheetal S — Google review
Fabulous place very good accommodation and the location was perfect. I would happily consider going back again.
Diane M — Google review
Stayed a weekend at this resort.Worst decision. I have ever made 6 flights of stairs to the 3rd floor room Thieves stole my 10k mountain bike off my car rack padlocks and cable included. Entered through the open access gate which is regularly left open .So much for the security parking area. Well rehearsed theft obviously done it before .Manager was very helpful with me and police but a working security system would have been a much better idea.Suggest giving all of Port Macquarie a drive past as petty crime is rampant all over town. At the caravan park also big problems.

Our stay at El Paso Port Macquarie Motel was fantastic! From the friendly and welcoming staff to the spotless rooms and excellent amenities, everything exceeded our expectations. The recent refurbishments were evident, and the deluxe rooms were perfectly designed to accommodate three guests comfortably. The location is unbeatable, with convenient access to shopping and delicious nearby restaurants. Although we only stayed for a night, we’d happily return for a longer weekend getaway!

One of our favourite places to stay- a pleasure as always! This was only a quick stop but the team were very helpful when we arrived with height restrictions and a trailer finding us a place to park right near our room. El Motor Inn is always very clean and well managed, and on the doorstep of everything Port has to offer! Highly recommended 😊

3 months ago on holidays I book a specific room on a return stop over from Newcastle after visiting my father in supported care. I booked a particular room as it worked best for the 94yr lady i was supporting. There ended up being 3 changes to the room the 3 rd change i wasnt notified about until i arrived in El Passo office There was no apology about the 3rd change. There appeared to be a real disconnect to what they did. Stuffed around i left, not going back.

Bad experience- they have deducted money from my card without my permission- when I asked they saying it is for a missing pillow - We did not take any pillows from them!

We stopped in Port Macquarie for one night on our way down from Brisbane to Sydney and decided to stay at the El Paso Motor Inn. Surprisingly this was a really nice motel, spacious room that had been refurbished recently. The bathroom was very nice with a good shower that was powerful and easy to set the temperature. There was parking both outside on the forecourt and underground with a pretty decent lift that takes you to all floors. Staff were exceptionally helpful too. All in all a really nice place to stay that’s right on the harbour. Also, watch out at dusk when 1000’s of the Bats 🦇 fly overhead, it’s quite an awesome sight to see, that along with the painted rocks, you’ll love it.

Reviews are right! Clean, modern, lovely person on Reception. We had trouble getting a taxi into town to meet some friends for dinner (we didn’t want to ride the bike) but that’s nothing to do with the motel and we will definitely stay again.

This hotel has very nice staff. It's very clean both inside and out. It's fairly centred with the town making everything a short drive go get to. The only note is that if you a sensitive to strong smells, once the room is cleaned it has a very perfumed smell. Other than that 10/10 would stay again

Very friendly staff..... Coming across the border from Qld I thought the Sunny State trumped all others when it came to friendliness and warmth but what a genuinely warm lady at reception! The rooms are quite small but extremely clean and tidy.... morethan adequate for those travelling! The bathroom may be alittle " weary" but again super clean with a wonderfully hot and welcome shower! There is a little fridge, microwave, and toaster in the room and the bed was very very comfortable! The only thing missing from this room was a box of tissues which I always notice because of my " sniffles"!!! I would certainly stay again at this great little motel and would highly recommend to others looking for a clean, friendly, comfortable motel!
Roz B — Google review
Excellent hotel & staff. With nice quiet renovated rooms in a great location near the beach & CBD. Only thing is, you should look into getting smart TV’s, but watching digital free air still did the job. I’ll definitely stay here again.
Michael V — Google review
This motel is perfect for short stay in Port Macquarie. Staff at reception were welcoming and the room was clean, tidy and a comfortable bed after a long drive from QLD. Tea, Coffee, Milk in a cute little kitchenette is also provided as well as toilet amenities which a-lot of other budget motels / self contained appartments are stingy on. It's fairly close to everything with only a short drive to the Panthers or Westport clubs, shops, restaurants and attractions (We also visited the Zoo & lighthouse). The only downside is the parking in the complex is very tight and only the downstairs rooms have an allocated spot, so you’re lucky if you could park in the complex at night but there is plenty of on street parking, other than that we would 100% stay here again.

Had the King room towards back of motel. Tastefully updated/appointed. Very clean - smelt lovely. Blockout curtains; v comfy bed. Only 2 flat pillows - but staff happy to provide more. Shower good pressure and bathroom products in preferred large pump dispensers. Really no criticism at all - but do prefer real milk to the longlife version. Very much recommended. Will return.

It was a nice getaway with every amenities from grill to washer and dryer in the small two bed room tiny house . Child friendly area . Flynns on Surf is a fabulous place to stay. It was like an apartment, but for the price of a room. Spotlessly clean, well equipped and very nicely furnished. Probably the best accomodation I've found on a 4 week road trip through NSW and QLD.

Absolutely loved staying here. Low end of the price curve in August, we couldn't have afforded it otherwise. 3 bedroom split level but can opt to rent the bottom section as a one bed villa, which we did. Feels homey as soon as you open the door. Quality inclusions, the kitchen has all you need, washer and dryer in a laundry room in the rear of your own lock up garage. Spent 4 days would have loved to stay for months. Rear deck with BBQ,Bush outlook. Close to the beach and shops. Wifi available. We were sorry to leave but will definitely be back.

Friendly helpful staff. Fun activities to join if you like. Some plumbing issues in the kitchen & ladies showers but the staff seemed to be on top of it. Tea, coffee & sugar provided but sadly/oddly, not milk. I stayed in one of the two private rooms which was comfortable and had the added bonus of a TV. Other guests were friendly & respectful and surprisingly & blessedly quiet after midnight Friday & Saturday. I felt safe and comfortable. Would highly recommend and will stay again.

A good spot if you're an 18 year old backpacker, but probably not if you're a bit older. Very relaxed but perhaps too relaxed, e.g. our room tour was given by a topless man in pyjama bottoms. The room was clean but smelt of must. Everyone was very friendly, hot showers and good location.

Nice hostel, some of the facilities feel a little tired and could perhaps use a bit of a refresh, however. Was a lovely homey vibe and we met some cool travellers on our way through Port Macquarie. Decent kitchen. Hostel did seem like it was catered more towards long-term stays (compared to others that I’ve stayed at). This may have been because we visited during winter though.

Ana Mandara met our expectations by far! Location was perfect, service impeccable, food was amazing, place is clean, comfortable bed, and people were friendly. Jacuzzi was the added bonus that made this place so special overlooking the beautiful river. Leo the host made our stay warm and welcoming. Can't recommend this place enough. We will be back for sure! We stayed two nights, hoping to stay longer next time Thanks Leo!

What a beautiful spot overlooking the water! Lovely treat to stay with Leo looking after me, with locally caught seafood chowder and fish for dinner, and yummy fresh breakfast. Spacious rooms, enjoyed reading my book in the bath at the end of the day after exploring the beautiful coastline. On a rainy weekend the lounge was cozy and lovely to watch the yachts and the birds go by from the lounge and balcony. Highly recommend staying!

Leo is a great host and cook, breakfast was delicious. Our room was spacious and well appointed. The location is quiet, on the river with a reliable Uber/taxi service if you don’t feel like walking. Easily the best B&B we’ve ever stayed in. Will be back for sure.

Leo is a wonderful host and excellent chef! Highly recommend dining at Leo’s for an evening. The breakfasts are sensational. Perfect setting on the Hastings river and easy access to the many tourist attractions in the surrounding areas. Was a well needed get away from the hustle and bustle.

We spontaneously decided to treat ourselves during our holiday and book this place and we were so glad we found this place! We received a very warm welcome from the Host Leo. The accommodation itself was very clean, beautiful design, all the facilities you needed and the bed was very comfy to sleep on! Leo also offers on some nights dinner, which is 100% worth having. We enjoyed a delicious 3 course meal on the terrace overlooking the river and enjoyed the sun setting. We also enjoyed a great breakfast the following morning outside. Vielen Dank Leo und LG aus Kitzbühel!

FINALLY got here after having to defer our stay due to flooding in March. Well worth the wait! We had a fabulous time. The room was great up on 6th floor (only improvement that could be made are flyscreens), facilities brilliant and walking distance to town, playgrounds, beach etc. The weather turned it on for us and the family had a great stay 😊 Big mention to Donna at reception for all her help with our changes and checkins/checkouts, really appreciated, especially on behalf of our little ones!

We loved our 5 day stay at Ki-ea Apartments. Fabulous large 2 bedroom apartment. Spotlessly clean, very large sunny balcony with stunning coastal views. Well appointed kitchen/livingroom and comfy beds. Easy free underground parking. Great location with an easy walk into town to restaurants and shops. Close to all attractions . Tim the manager, was very friendly and helpful . We will definitely be back to stay.

Spacious property, well furnished and designed. Views were beautiful from the spacious balconies. All the amenities we could have wanted in an excellent location. Great for a group stay. Short walk to the beach. Excellent communication from the team including after hours check out process. I wish we stayed longer! Will be back for sure!

We have stayed at Ki-ea a number of times over the years. The apartments are well appointed, very spacious, clean, quiet and in a great location. It’s an easy walk to the beach, the breakwall or into town. Out of hours check in is easy. Underground parking is provided. We always receive a friendly welcome back from Elley. She is extremely helpful and always responds to any queries or concerns promptly and professionally.

We stay here every year. Friendly helpful staff. Great easy location to shops & beach. Great pool & facilities. Easy check in & out. Underground parking included. Dishwasher, washing machine & dryer in all units. This time we stayed in unit 319 & unfortunately it was not as well appointed as others. No dresser in master, no full mirror in walk in, no doona covers, no tv in master, no sideboard in living area, no bedside in bedroom 3, minimal knives & utensils in kitchen, no lounge area in veranda, no soap or toiletries in master, no tissues provided. It’s these little things that the other units provide which are noticed by guests. But overall a very comfortable unit.

Nestled in the heart of Port Macquarie, Northpoint Apartments offers a delightful blend of comfort and convenience for travelers seeking a coastal getaway. These streamlined units come equipped with kitchens, making them perfect for those who enjoy self-catering. While the decor may be minimalistic, guests can revel in stunning river views that enhance their stay. The property boasts an inviting outdoor heated pool and a fitness room to keep you active during your visit.
A wonderful place to relax with family and children. Excellent service, many shops and cafes around, close to the ocean with different beaches. Another big advantage is that there is a zoo nearby and a very interesting historical place Timbertown. If you are lucky with good weather - this is just a paradise for a few days or a long time. And a big tip for everyone - choose a room with an ocean view! A little more expensive, but you will not regret it! ❤️🥇⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

⭐ 1-Star Review ⭐ Do Not Trust Northpoint Apartments – Loyal Guest Treated with Disrespect I’ve stayed at Northpoint Apartments in Port Macquarie multiple times over the years, but after this recent experience, I’ll never return — and I strongly advise others to think twice before booking here. I had a fully paid reservation during a weekend when Port Macquarie was hit by severe flooding and road closures. Travel was unsafe and practically impossible. I called ahead and was assured my booking would be credited due to the natural disaster. Fast forward a month later, I follow up and am told that there’s been a change in ownership, and I’ve been classed as a “no-show” — meaning no refund, no credit, and no responsibility taken by the new management. No communication. No courtesy. Just a flat-out refusal to honour what I was told. This is an appalling way to treat a returning guest, especially when the cancellation was due to circumstances completely out of my control. A new owner doesn’t erase the ethical obligation to follow through on clear commitments made to guests. Northpoint has lost a loyal customer, and if this is how they operate now, others should seriously reconsider giving them their business.
Luke S — Google review
Room 205 was on other side of hotel with a large balcony, no view and traffic noise. The beds were comfortable and shower pressure good. The sliding door in bedrm 2 didnt open and the reception sent up someone, who after saying a few profanities in frustration.because he couldnt fix it, never came back. It needs a new lock. I hope they get it as its very stuffy in that room even with an air con in it. Curtains smell musty. Grills on sliding screen doors were filthy and outdoor furniture had dirt all over them and were not cleaned prior to our arrival. Pool is heated and clean. The plastic sun lounges are very hard to lie on. If you stay here make sure you get a view as the room we had was not great facing the main street.
Elizabeth J — Google review
Overall experience was positive. Rooms are dated but clean and unfortunately for us our laundry had a really bad sewage smell. We had to close the door for our entire stay. Hope this gets fixed for other patrons who are planning to stay in the future.
Ken P — Google review
Fantastic spot right near the painted breakwater rocks, the centre of town, walking distance to Cole’s and the beach. We loved this relaxed, well-maintained coastal town and hope to come back for longer. The apartments aren’t new, but they are well-maintained and you get woken with a beautiful birds’ chorus. Apt #307 had two bedrooms (double and twin), two baths, a modern kitchen with everything we needed, laundry room, very spacious living room and balcony, and partial view of the water. In the summer it might be noisy as it’s only one floor up from the pool directly below - but that could be ideal for families keeping an eye on older children. Go for a walk at 7-8am and you might well see the dolphins swimming and playing alongside the breakwater rocks 😍

Very comfortable on the bottom level, 2 bed, 2 bath, courtyard that opens directly to pool area. Just a few steps. Comfy bed, clean crisp linen and everything you need in a kitchen. Small toiletries supplied. I'd suggest taking your own toilet paper as only one roll was supplied, that wasn't enough for 1 week. We would stay again. Great location and views.

Akuna Luxury Waterfront Retreat offers a purpose-built escape with stunning views and serene surroundings. This intimate two-guest room retreat provides ultimate privacy and luxurious home comforts, making it the perfect place to enjoy nature and relaxation in harmony. Guests have praised Linda's hospitality, describing it as on par with a 5-star resort. The accommodation is described as luxurious, offering spectacular views of the Hastings River that include river traffic, ferry crossings, and even dolphin sightings.
We stayed for 1 night . Linda is not only a fabulous host but also a very very good chef. We had a splendid dinner with a perfect wine selection. Most beautiful quiet location on the river front with spectacular sunsets . The interior meets the highest requirements - awesome design. Very cosy feel. Looks like new. We highly recommend this little boutique hotel.

We spent 10 beautiful relaxing days at Akuna with the delightful Linda. The accommodation was luxurious and beautiful. The view of the Hastings River was spectacular and everchanging. We saw river traffic, the ferry, the Island Trader going to and from Lord Howe Island and to top it off a pod of dolphins swam by while we were relaxing in the garden by the river. Linda's breakfast offerings were amazing and her dinners were restaurant quality. Linda even posted our camera charger to us before we even noticed we didn't have it! We thoroughly recommend this lovely B & B
Helen B — Google review
Wish we could give more than 5 stars. Had an absolutely amazing time. Linda's hospitality was no lesser than a 5 star resort and we really enjoyed the 2 nights we were there. She even went out of her way to make the stay even more special as it was my fiancé's birthday. We could go back just for the food, it was that good. Linda we both wish you the very best, you are such an amazing soul and you've done such an amazing job with the place. We'll definitely come back soon.
Jasjeet M — Google review
The property is stunningly decorated. The ambiance and vibe a soothing getaway. The additional touches, with chef Linda included a sublime Thai dinner and gourmet breakfast which was a real surprise. Spoil yourself it’s worth it. You have your own entertainment room with pool table just near colourful pelicans on the waters edge. Heaven on earth!
Shana R — Google review
A stunning place to stay, perfectly positioned just a short drive from the centre of town. The host (and your personal chef!) Linda has curated accomodation that feels like a 5 star resort. The views aren't half bad either!
Eoin M — Google review
Lovely riverside boutique hotel. The place is situated in a quiet area with direct, private access to a calm river area where you can take a dip. The decor is beautiful, with a modern yet cosy, beachy but undoubtedly luxurious, vibe. Linda, the owner and host, really makes the stay special with beautiful food and a warm demeanor. Would 100% return and would 100% recommend.

Akuna Luxury Waterfront Retreat, the name says it all! The house is stunning and unbelievable with everything designed with the Guest in mind. The interiors have been chosen selectively by Linda and all elements have a professional finish. The furnishings offer places to relax and the whole environment works together with this beautiful floor to ceiling view of the river. The Akuna River Suite is absolutely stunning! It feels like a fresh breath of air with wood finishings for the headboard and pure white linen on a bed the feels like a dream. There is a bar fridge, Tv connected to both Netflix and Stan, coffee and tea amenities. The en-suite is huge, with a more than generous size shower and a thoughtful layout. Set in Port Macquarie the location offers so many activities and is a great place to stay for a wonderful rest and holiday. This hidden retreat offers so much value for money especially with the addition of Linda and Kel as hosts, who are wonderful cooks but even better at making your stay as comfortable as possible. This Luxury retreat right on the water has all that you need for your next Holliday or even weekend away. I would definitely without a doubt come back again.

The property also features a garden, business center, and tour/ticket assistance for added convenience.
I booked a last minute room at this motel and the service was amazing. I had actually fled from a disgusting motel in the area only to be greeted with the best service here. My dad, my pup and I would recommend this place to everybody. They even came running with an umbrella to get my elderly dad from the car to our room in torrential rain. So far I have sent about 5 groups of people to this hotel. Not to mention our room was spotless and very roomy not like the normal little poker rooms.

This was the worst accommodation experience we've ever had. After checking out, just 15 minutes later, we received a call saying we would be charged a $50 cleaning fee because the kids had dropped some cookie crumbs on the floor. In fact, a simple vacuuming would have sufficed. We offered to drive back immediately to clean it ourselves, but our request was refused, and we were forced to pay the $50 fine. The staff's attitude was extremely rude. Highly not recommended!

Had a lovely 3 night stay here on arrival given key & bottle of wine because of our deal. Rooms had everything you would need, has a pool but a bit chilly for a swm, There is a hotel only 5 minutes walk great meals & 10 minutes drive to the centre of Port Macquarie would recommend.👍

This one was a surprise! Easily the fastest check in and the cleanest hotel room I have ever stayed in despite the older style of the hotel. The giant smart tv in the room was also very welcome. Very short drive to the city center for dinner and also a nice pub with a bistro behind it. Will be putting this one on the list as my go to for Syd-Bris stopovers.

Very disappointed with my room, the shower had black mould in it. As I am in cancer treatment, I could not risk the infection. I spoke to management, a very ho hum response. Now looking for the correct authority to report his health hazard too.

Cinnamon Beans shop is located in the shopping centre in Port Macquarie - NSW. It is in front of the supermarket and next to many other shops. I was the early and the first customer as I was attending at 7AM. I had a long black coffee & one piece of lemon cake. The coffee and the cake were very good. It was so nice and relaxing early in the morning before I went shopping on my day off. Harry, the manager of this shop, was very nice and friendly. The wheelchair can access this place. And there are many spots to park your car before you enter the shops. Let's go there to enjoy and to support the local small business everyone. Cheers.

Went to centre management. Waited for three ladies to acknowledge me as they were talking and preoccupied with their conversation. I ask if there was a wheel chair I could borrow for my aged father who felt unwell and could not walk, and was told that I had to go to a pharmacy and hire one. I felt unseen, dismissed and stressed. This used to be a fantastic shopping centre but it has really gone down hill. Additionally, it's also recognized for its morning coffee offerings, making it a convenient pit stop along the iconic Port Macquarie Breakwall walk.
Such a great Aussie pub. Beautiful architecture. A little pricey, we paid $17 for a ginger beer and a lemon lime and bitters. Very good menu selection and a lovely family vibe. Nice quiet tunes playing in background. We came on a Tuesday night was not at all full! Waitress aren’t the most friendly especially the younger ones but the table was wiped down on arrival.

We had dinner at The Beach House in Port Macquarie, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. We were welcomed by lovely staff, and the location is perfect—right near the water with easy parking, which is always a win! The vibe was relaxed and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a meal. Now, the food—absolutely delicious! I had the Juniper Lamb (slow-cooked & packed with flavour), and Chris went for his go-to, the fish tacos—both were spot on. If you’re in Port Macquarie, The Beach House is definitely worth a visit. We’d go back in a heartbeat!

Has potential to be great, the view is lovely but lacked ambiance and friendly bar staff at the venue. The female attendant was wearing a scowling look when we asked if cocktails were $10…i don’t know what was so happy about a happy hour cocktail special where only three cocktails were $2 off the regular price @$18??!! Competitive prices are needed to bring in a decent crowd on a Friday night

The Beach House Hotel is one of my favourites! Ive been here for everything - from intimate catch-ups to larger group gatherings, including birthdays and work colleague get-togethers - its always spot on. The staff are super friendly and always helpful, making every visit feel special. The cocktails are delicious, the food is consistently great, and the views are just stunning. Dog-friendly outside, which is a huge plus, and Sunday's are best - chill vibes with live music and a relaxed crowd. Perfect spot to unwind, enjoy great service, and soak up the atmosphere with beautiful water views. Highly recommended for locals and visitors! 👌🏻

It was ok. We ordered entree and mains, but they brought them all out at the same time resulting in a table with no space and our drinks on the ground, we then had a cold mains meal because it was cold by the time we ate our entree. One person on our table ordered the steak, it came in a bowl and when he was cutting his meat the bowel tipped into his lap... it was odd because another person ordered the salad and that came on a flat plate , which the steak should have come on. The food was ok.
Fatmat W — Google review
Like others have mentioned. This place could be so much better. It is a comfortable and attractive place with a pleasant outlook with a reasonable range on both the food and drinks menu. But the table service is nonexistent (sticky table), you have to order either via a QR code or at the bar, not even water in the table, you have to get your own. The hot food came out quickly but nobody came to check on the meals or ask if we wanted additional drinks or dessert. The lamb shank was tasty but came just with roast potatoes, no vegetables and you can’t order them as a side. A few changes and this place could be truly memorable. Sadly it is subpar

What a venue to enjoy a beautiful meal and a cold beverage. Stunning views and a walk to everything you need. Food was spectacular and waited no time once ordered to being served, the service was with a smile as well. $200 a night and they have live music playing past midnight they don't tell you about that keeps everyone awake. Really not sure how this allowed. Rooms also couldn't be more basic if you tried. *Update* went and spoke to management as the music has continued past midnight, I was essentially told it's my fault for booking and it's not his problem. How is this place in business.

Like most pub/hotels don't expect too much from the rooms but there's enough to do in port macquarie that you won't want to stay in your room. That said if you're planning on staying a week you will need some time to unwind and i would recommend it. Location is great, big plus for the hotel.

GET AWAY FROM HERE!!!! This gotta be the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in, nothing possible in the whole country can compared to this. I am never a picky person when it comes to hotels and hostels. If I was to rate this out of 10, I’ll give it a solid -99/10. I’m trying to be generous already, I’d say it’s fair. Mouldy walls in bathroom and sheets, broken shower tabs and maximum 3 minutes of hot water (did not even turn on any cold water), if u turn 1 mm to the left of the cold water tab, bet u would get 0 minute of hot shower. Absolutely horrific. They party right beneath ur bed until 2 am. Gotta say they do have great speakers, would rock ur wall from top to bottom, I could literally hear the walls shaking. Your whole body will also rock with the music, FANTASTIC! It also kinda sucks cuz check out is at 10 am, could barely get any sleep at night but still gotta wake up for check out😝. Tried to buy ear plugs from the closest gas stations but don’t have any, now I’m up tired typing this review🤩 For people who’s planning to stay here, stay away. It gives u itchy rush because how unsanitary the sheets are. But if u like to rave and party alone in ur room after a long day and get no sleep, it’s for u. Good thing about this hotel are the staffs, very friendly and welcoming👍

The only good thing is the location. Rooms are dirty, tiny, stink and everything is old and this not in a good way. Additionally the beds are like hammock. Yes I'm aware that the price is cheap but it us still a bad for the price.
Noemi R — Google review
Terrible soft bed, back killer. The room was cheap and we got what we paid for, but that mattress is unsafe.
Pete W — Google review
Overpriced, expensive drinks, rough atmosphere, 1 pool table that's coveted and protected by an old biddy that doesn't like to share. Overall, pretty rough.

I had such a great stay at Port Macquarie Backpackers! From the moment I walked in, I felt completely at home. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and super relaxed. A huge thank you to Ben, who was not only incredibly friendly and kind, but also genuinely helpful! Always offering to assist in any way he could. The whole place is clean, well-equipped, and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. I settled in within seconds and really appreciated the homely vibe. If I’m ever back in the area, I’ll definitely be staying here again and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to a friend!

From the minute we meet Ben the manager, we know we want to extend our stay longer than planned! You immediately feel at home or with friends, and your stay is spent in a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. The facilities (bathroom, kitchen, pool, etc.) are clean and functional. The rooms are clean, comfortable and colorful! By far the best hostel I've ever stayed in! Thanks Ben!

My stay here was absolutely one for the books! The place is located just a short walk from the coach stop and I was greeted by the owner who had lots of suggestions on things to do in Port. All facilities were very clean and the rooms were good sizes. There was a pizza night happening on my first night, and on my second night I watched a movie with other hostel residents then went for a beach picnic with the group the next day. 10/10 stay, this is what life in hostels is all about ❤️

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in so far. Clean, homely and friendly environment. The staff do a great job with cleaning and keeping the hostel running smoothly, the receptionist (Christian) was exceptionally good and made it very easy to check in and takes the time to answer any questions. Highly recommended stopping through if you are staying in Port Macquarie

Me and the girlfriend booked a private room for the weekend and had an amazing time. The hostel was clean well maintained. Everyone was very sociable and friendly. We will be staying here when we're next back in Port Macquarie. Thanks!

Really enjoyed my stay in this heritage site and had a good sleep in a cosy bed room. The amenties are kept clean and tidy. Ben and his family not only well mange their establishment, but also well look after the guests like a family something which I don't often see in other accommodations. Whenever I visit Port Macquarie again, this is definitely my "go to" place. Thank you very much Ben for chat and trip suggestions.

Room basic and clean. Easy to find. No problem finding a spot in the underground carpark. The writing desk in the room was useful. Good water pressure and hot. Internet slow The parking space outside the rooms was full and two big 4wd's were in there reducing the available space but could be navigated around with careful driving. One lamp missing a globe and fitting loose. Forgot to tell reception
Tony B — Google review
This is NOT a 4 star hotel like Google says it is. I have stayed at the hotel for a few nights. The room was out dated. There was not enough room in the bathroom to dry yourself without banging your elbow on the door, wall or showerscreen. The shower head was so small it felt like i was taking a shower under a hose. The room has a window next to the door that does not have a blind over it and a light out side that is on all night so your room is like there is a light on. The bed has the thinest mattress and pillows on earth. I had a better nights sleep when i fell asleap on the carpet floor. There are not enough car parks on site so if you are not early enough then your parking out on the street. In saying that, the parking on site is so tight that you struggle to get out of the car. The best thing about this hotel is it's location. It's only a short walk to food, the shopping mall and center of the shopping area of town.

We had to evacuate the motel we were in during the flood. Being dark we pulled up at the Excelsior motel. Quickly booked a room just wanting somewhere to stay. Office stunk of cigarette smoke didn't think much of it at the time. As we unloaded the car several males popped thier heads out of different rooms smoking. While Myself, My partner, my young daughter and my partners female friend were carrying our things in. We then settle in to notice every wall had filth on them. The main bed had white stains on it. Then we used the bathroom flushed the toilet & it leaked from the sewerage pipe onto the floor. After we laughed this off we settled. Then at 11pm we were awaken by someone in one of the other rooms screaming out swearing for an hour or so. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I would be embarrassed to lease any rooms to anyone if I where management in that place let alone for the $170 we were charged.
Adam G — Google review
First room the door didn't lock, the safety chain didn't even reach, and bed made me itch all night. They moved me to another room, which also didn't lock. Wear and tear bad on everything, shabby furniture, bed uncomfortable, tiny TV's, remote control buttons didn't work. Shower head might as well be a hose. Residents leaving doors open all night, talking, smoking, calling out to each other. Do yourself a favour, book somewhere else.
Stephen L — Google review
We have stayed a few times due to location but this will be the very last time. Dead cockroach on the walls. The walls about to fall down. The blinds were not block out so as soon us the sun hit we woke. The air con didn't heat and the bed was worse then sleeping on the floor. The lounge sunk when sat on. The place has gotten alot worse we travel every month bit wont be returning. Maybe need to cleaners or new mangerment but this place yes is 3star you get what ya pay for but this isnt even worth 1 star. Have photos but no options to upload and mangerment needs to move the 3 cars that are just parked there for months and not moved the parking is already bad enough let alone having old cars parked where u need to park

I can't wait to come back. We had a water view cabin and it was excellent for my toddler and small dog. Everything worked perfectly for our stay. Bed was comfortable. Shower was hot with great pressure. Whole cabin was clean and had everything we needed. Was a good size as well. My daughter loved the little beach on the water. The team were very lovely in their emails and the check in. We would love to stay longer next time.

I recently stayed at this spot, and the location was absolutely stunning with amazing views all around. There were also so many great cafes nearby, providing plenty of dining choices. Unfortunately, the room itself could have been a bit cleaner, which was a slight disappointment. Despite that small issue, the overall experience was quite enjoyable and memorable. I would still recommend this place to others, hoping the cleanliness improves.

We loved our stay at Camp Jordan! Such a perfect spot — peaceful, great views, and super close to everything in Port Macquarie. It’s also dog friendly, which was a huge bonus for us! The host was amazing - so friendly and helpful, and made us feel really welcome from the moment we arrived. You can tell a lot of love has gone into making this place special. Can’t wait to come back — highly recommend for anyone travelling with their dog or just looking for a relaxing getaway!

We stayed in Burt the Airstream at Camp Jordan and honestly, I’m not sure if we were camping or accidentally booked a boutique hotel on wheels. Burt was spotless, comfy, and full of retro charm. The Camp Jordan team (Les & Jason) were absolute legends so warm, welcoming, and genuinely lovely. Their sons, Blake and Harry, took my daughter under their wing, taught her to fish, and gave her the full local tour (she’s now convinced she’s part of the family). The pool, a stunning, warm oasis that we basically lived in. Between the views, the vibes, and the amazing hospitality, this place is pure paradise. Can’t recommend it enough we’ll definitely be back (so keep Burt free for us)! Love Lyndall & Maddy Xxx

Had a fantastic stay, a beautiful location so close to the town centre. The staff were lovely. A few things that were a little bit of a bummer; there’s apparently bikes to offer but during my stay I only saw one bike around the property and the brakes were cut on it, the internet didn’t work my entire stay so I’ve used a lot of my mobile data, the hot water wasn’t 100% consistent so I had to keep turning it off between shower steps and also there were ants all through my cabin. I’d absolutely stay here again but would keep these things in mind for my next stay

Camp Jordan was fantastic! The service was nothing short of incredible. We arrived early and because of activity cancellation we had the extra money so asked for an upgrade everything was sorted within the hour! Pool was also lovely at the perfect temperature. We will definitely be back!!!

Camp Jordan is an outstanding dog-friendly park, highly praised for its accommodating and cheerful staff. The park offers a variety of activities that kept the family, especially the kids, busy, including a pool, bike rentals, putt-putt, and a games room. Canoe and boat hires for fishing add to the fun. The park is well-maintained with a cool vibe, and the delicious food by the water enhances the experience. Highly recommended, and we express a strong desire to return! Thank you again camp Jordan

Room is pretty new and clean. We got a room with a big balcony which is perfect for our three month old baby. She likes to watch the outdoor views when she is cranky. The fridge and microwave are helpful too. Very convenient free undercover parking. We will go back in the future.

My family and I stayed here for one night, on our way to the Gold Coast. We couldn’t have picked a better accommodation for our short stay. The location was a close proximity to coles, the park and the lake. Room was very neat and cosy, it felt like a 4star hotel. And I loved the balcony overlooking the lake! The bathroom was really clean! The staffs we’ve met were really friendly. They cleaned the pool during our stay. We had it all for ourselves after. I do have to suggest to make it a heated pool because the water was freezing cold. Overall, 5/5

The rooms are really nice! Way better than the place looks from outside. Just room 1 that we got directly be the entrance of the Asia restaurant made it a bit loud. But besides that, great stay!

We stayed in Villa 1 for a brief 2 night stay. Absolutely outstanding property and location. The ample sized villa had everything you need when going away. Will definitely be coming back again. The communication with the managers was great for arranging a late check in. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Very neat and clean accommodation, tastefully decorated and quaint. Had a comfortable stay over 4 days. The staff were very pleasant and polite, were only to happy to assist with any requests. Although there was a bit of rain, did manage to get a couple of nice sunny days, the outdoor spaces were great to enjoy the nicer weather with plenty of seating and picinc table. As it was winter and very cold , the cabin had a very good air condioner which heated the cabin nicely. The cabin had all the comforts of home and was especially roomy. I will be returning, and as I make regular trips to Port Macquarie for family visits I will want to stay here. The affordability of the accommodation is a plus as well. Overall good value for money conveniently located near the airport, easy access to main shopping areas and beaches, while being just far enough from the hustle and bustle to have a peaceful, quiet stay. Would recommend for small family groups as there is a good sized pool and some swings to keep the kids happy while the adults get organised for the day. While not a large tourist park, it is definitely inviting and well maintained. Has a laid back relaxed feel about the place, well worth a look.

Stayed very short notice on a Sunday evening after breaking down up the road with caravan, 2 kids and 2 dogs. Very helpful lady! She was very understanding of our situation, and let us store the caravan there for the last few nights when we left to see some family. Kids loved the pool too :)

$40 unpowered site nice flat grassy area, avoid the stinky rotten fish odour area emanating (but not apparent) from a patch of lawn next to end cabin. The unbearable stink still remains weeks in between visits. Dryers $7 for 51 mins clothes literally still damp after completing high heat cycle. Somebody stopped dryer cycle with 8 mins remaining. Quite a few permanent residents so it's not really holiday park energy here although the entrance looks nice and tropical. Dozens of big potholes throughout park no need for 10km speed signs. Good choice for dog owners like myself and the bathroom was cold but roomy functional and clean.
Steven E — Google review
Stayed here for the first time last night on our journey up north. Have stayed in many Cabins. The park itself looks tropical with a nice bbq cabana with a dart board. Excited with our stay we entered the cabin with dinner ready to go. Getting excited the kids went to there rooms. No bedding, no blankets. The main bed was made with sheet but no blankets were provided. Half a roll of toilet paper and you could imagine the rest. Lucky it was a hot night so the children survived as we brought some blankets from home. The next morning I decided to make a coffee. It tasted odd. Like dirt. I tipped it out and checked the kettle (see below photo of mould) then checked out. Will never come back nor recommend. Not worth the $200 per night. Don’t waste your money. Camp somewhere in your car.

Lovely Accommodation! Unfortunately I recently had to attend a family members funeral on short notice and needed accommodation for myself and my 2 adult daughters for a couple of nights. I came across Leisure Tourist Park during my search and as it was close to where we had to go and the prices were great I booked it. I informed the office we would be arriving late (10pm) and as the reception is closed at that time they supplied me with details on how to obtain the keys on arrival which proved very easy. They provided a map of the park so we could find our unit easily. Free parking was outside the unit which made for a very simple unload from the car. We stayed in a two bedroom unit (no 101) which was immaculately clean and had a great design layout with the front door opening onto an open plan kitchen, lounge, dining area with the two bedrooms and a bathroom off that there was plenty of room for us all. On the opposite side of the lounge/dining area is a sliding door that opens to a beautiful lawn area with lots of outdoor tables and chairs, a small children's playground, BBQ area and 2 pools. The grounds are very well maintained as well. The reception staff I spoke to on the morning after our arrival were lovely and very helpful. The cleaning and maintenance staff must be amazing as well as everything is so clean and fresh. As previously stated I only stayed for 2 nights this time but I will certainly be looking to rebook in the near future for a longer relaxing stay. The park is a very close drive to town and to many eateries, social clubs and Pubs. I highly recommend this tourist park especially for families with small children.

We recently stayed 2 nights. The room was very clean and had adequate bedding and kitchen items. The bed was very comfortable. The lady at reception was friendly and helpful. It is in good walking distance to town. A bit of a hill to get back to motel if you are walking. Cafes and bars are close by. We would definitely recommend.

Stopped by in evening looking for a room to stay on our road trip. And even though they had availability, the service was awful. The person at the reception, spoke to us like we were an inconvenience, she didn’t want to answer our questions about the room available, and was simply rude, which was absolutely undeserved. So we chose to get a similar room for just a few dollars more in a different hotel in a more pleasant location, and beautiful customer service!
Anna S — Google review
Ok, the rooms are basic..But the beds are comfy, the water pressure is great and check out the location! You can walk to anywhere (beach/food/fun). I came here for work and got hooked on the waterside strolls.

The lady who runs this motel and answers the phone SHOULD NOT work in hospitality!! As she doesn’t know anything about hospitality. She answers the phone with “Hello” and not the name of the motel. She is extremely rude and hung up on me while I was talking. I had to phone back later in the day as I was waiting on a delivery and she yelled at me to check with the delivery company and tell them the tracking number. It was almost impossible to get a word in to explain why I was checking with her first. Will be recommending to my management that we never use this motel again.
Marg W — Google review
I like the location, walking distance to everything I needed, check in was easy and friendly, the room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Unfortunately I didn't like the carpark, not all level which didn't help with my dodgy knee, and the shower head was horrible.
Tina M — Google review
booked the room last minute, fully aware we would be arriving after 9pm when reception would be closed. I made sure to ask for late check-in instructions. When I called to confirm, the receptionist answered in a rude tone, stating they didn’t know who I was and couldn’t find my name in the system. I was told not to call the phone again and to simply press the doorbell, otherwise I’d “wake up the whole building.” We arrived at 9:18pm and followed the instructions by pressing the doorbell multiple times. We waited outside for 15 minutes, but no one came to open the door. With no other option, I called the provided number — it was picked up and hung up on me twice without a word. Finally, about 15 minutes later, a woman appeared and opened the door, immediately scolding me: “I told you not to call the number!” I explained I had been pressing the doorbell, waiting outside. Only then did she realize the doorbell wasn’t working and quickly offered an apology. This was by far the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced — not only unhelpful but actively rude and dismissive. Completely unacceptable behavior.

I thought we had a booking here for 7 nights in April. I received a phone call to tell me they had found an email in their spam and I was not booked with them. He also quizzed where I got that price as it was under the usual tariff. I said well you have the eml. I also had a reservation confirmation which he was not interested in because I did not have a booking! I managed to book Sails resort for a lower price.
Bel M — Google review
We had a very disappointing experience at the Aloha Hotel. Upon arrival, the receptionist was incredibly rude and unhelpful. Our online booking was cancelled, and she made an attempt to overcharge us for what was clearly a budget room. They tried to pass it off as a premium option, but the room was far from that – outdated, poorly maintained, and not at all worth the price they were asking. We would not recommend staying here. There are much better options in Port Macquarie where your business is valued, and you’re treated with respect. Avoid the Aloha Hotel if you can.

Just had 4 nights here and was very impressed. Apartment was spacious and clean with a fabulous view of Town Beach. The internal access from the lift straight into the apartment is amazing and makes unloading and loading the car so easy, it is also very secure. This place was absolute perfection!!!! Location: beach across the road, just outside the cbd. Room: very secure, clean and spacious. Garage secure and undercover Service: 150% The staff made sure we were looked after and happy. From the phone call in the morning of check-in checking in with us and making sure our room was ready for arrival (we arrived early before check-in time and was raining that day), to walking us through our room to ensure we were happy with it, to making the best recommendations for dinner (the Turkish restaurant was excellent). We felt the service was very personalised and caring and had set the positive vibes for our trip away. Our experience: It rained all day when we checked in but, that didn't affect us one bit. We loved the view the room had overlooking the beach. We enjoyed cheese and wine on our balcony. The spa bath was perfect and the bed was comfortable. Will definitely be back!!!

Nestled just a stone's throw from the stunning Town Beach, the Town Beach Motor Inn in Port Macquarie offers an inviting and laid-back atmosphere for travelers seeking comfort without pretense. This charming motel features traditional rooms equipped with free Wi-Fi, ensuring you stay connected during your getaway. Guests can take advantage of the outdoor swimming pool and BBQ area, perfect for enjoying sunny afternoons. The accommodations are thoughtfully designed to provide a cozy retreat after a day of exploration.
This is a beautiful motel in Port Macquarie. We stayed here for a night during our road trip stopover from QLD to Melbourne. The room was clean tidy and comfortable with a little kitchenette, microwave, fridge, toaster, etc. The bed was comfortable with clean bedding. There was good hot water and room heating. In essence, it had everything for a comfortable stay and a peaceful night's sleep. The beautiful garden setting around the motel was also refreshing. The car park was really good with decent sized parking spaces (especially after enduring tight parking spaces in other cities). Restaurants, convenience stores, service stations and the beaches etc are also located close by. All this was complimented by the excellent, courteous host/manager Glen! Highly recommended.

Glenn, I was a visitor when your guest stayed the other night. I was the one who smoked — outside, at the bottom of your driveway. Instead of littering, I responsibly brought the cigarette butts back up and put them in the bin. That is what the cleaner would have smelt, not smoke in the room. Your website clearly states smoking is permitted in designated outdoor areas with ashtrays provided. Yet, the in-room book threatens a $1000 fine if caught smoking anywhere on the premises. That’s misleading, inconsistent, and unfair to guests. When I rang you, instead of listening, you constantly interrupted and talked over me. If you had let me speak, I wouldn’t have raised my voice. Fact is, you were rude. Now in your reply, you’ve said: “Our policy is that the smell of smoke should not be apparent inside any of our hotel rooms and yet it was in this case. We have had a conversation with the actual guest and it appears there was smoking on the property in the prohibited areas.” So, according to you, the whole property is a prohibited area — even though your website clearly says smoking is allowed in outdoor areas. Which one is it? You can’t have it both ways. You also claim that the guest admitted I had been smoking inside the room. That is untrue. The smell came from the cigarette butts I smoked outside the premises, responsibly disposed of in your bin. You’re twisting the story to protect your reputation, but facts are facts. Read your own website instead of blocking my email and being belligerent over the phone. The hotel itself is fairly average, and their rules are confusing and inconsistent. Until recently, they weren’t even allowing children to stay — another example of their unpredictable policies. They also allow pets to stay on the property, but they don’t advertise that anywhere. I’m a local, and your guest won’t be coming back. Glenn, this isn’t the first review you’ve been mentioned in reviews for being rude — patterns speak louder than words.

One of the best dog friendly hotels I have stayed in. The room is clean and the bed is very comfy. The room is large enough for a couch and small table and chairs. The garden and pool are beautiful. Checking in was easy and the manager was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here again.

Wow, what can I say the rooms are so clean and everything works The rooms are so nice, the location is bang on, a short walk to the beach, clubs and services. Everything has been done up to a high standard and did I mention very clean. Just call these guys direct for a great price there service is fantastic I'd you are looking for a budget stay and still get quality then do not hesitate to book here.

Absolutely loved our stay here — this hotel is an absolute gem! Incredible value for money with everything you could possibly want for a comfortable, relaxing getaway. The room was exceptionally clean and thoughtfully appointed with little extras like a handy cutlery box, which came in super useful. The bed was unbelievably comfy, and the soundproofing was spot-on — we slept like babies! The staff were beyond helpful and genuinely warm, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. A huge bonus for us was how pet-friendly the place is — our furry friend was just as spoiled as we were! Just let them know about your pet when making your booking. The gardens are immaculate, clearly cared for with love, and the sparkling pool was the perfect place to unwind. You also can’t beat the location — close to everything yet blissfully peaceful. Plus, there’s plenty of parking, which made things super easy. We honestly couldn’t fault a thing. If you’re after comfort, convenience, and next-level hospitality, this is the place to stay. Can’t wait to come back!

Very friendly front office staff. Our room was very large with a sofa and a small balcony overlooking a garden area. Loved that they had a proper sink with dishwashing items. The bed was very comfortable and there was a table set up to eat from if needed. It's a very short walk to the Bowls Club and another couple of minutes to the outlook over the beach. We enjoyed our one night stay and would stay there again.

Great motel. Our king room was large with room for a sofa and table to eat from and the front office reception staff were lovely. There is a nice garden and gazebo area out the back, and it's walking distance to the beach and Bowls Club. We appreciated having a proper sink and washing up items to wash dishes. We would definitely stay here again.

Overnight stay in room 17. They have no key safe for late arrivals so I had to call ahead and pay ahead for the room before I arrived and the key was left under the door mat. Perhaps this process could be reviewed. I arrived around 7:00pm to loads of parking spaces. The room has toaster, kettle, microwave, fridge and a 50" TV. I couldn't sign in to any of my apps but was able to cast to the TV. The walls / ceiling are thin as I listened to a full conversation from a couple nearby - I could hear every word clearly. I suspect that all rooms weren't full or it may be noisier when they are. The curtains are blackout, although, bright light gets through around the perimeter. Bathroom has built in shampoo, conditioner, shower gel dispensers.

Had a wonderful stay at Shelly beach resort. Beds were super comfortable and the town house type accommodation is clean and tidy. Even had a gate at the top of the stairs to stop little ones from going down as they are not your straight stairs but a serial staircase. The hot tub was perfect also.

Comfortable stay. Nice location for a few walks. Having a car means food isn't too far away. The room was a little dated. Upper floor creaked a little and could hear it when it was windy. I would have liked it a little better maintained as things like the fan switch was broken. Cleaned yes. Maintained not so much. Game room was a good addition. No air con down stairs, only in bedroom's upstairs.
Peter B — Google review
Our apartment was looking shabby. Seriously in need of repainting in all areas. Stair carpet looked grubby. Resort itself (all outside areas) were very tidy (staff use leaf blower which was very noisy when used for long periods). Pool and jacuzzi were both very clean. Well equipped games room and tennis court. Very noisy basket ball game/machine close to our patio area. I would say great for families with young children not for couples. Narrow spiral staircase meant we couldn’t get our cases upstairs (large as travelling for considerable time). Walking distance to Shelley Beach but everywhere else required a car (no restaurants nearby). I would say good value for money but I wish we had stayed somewhere within walking distance to restaurants and more relaxing, but acknowledge aimed at families (plastic plates and wine glasses!)

This is an older place. Rooms.smell a bit musty until aired. Very spacious however And well appointed. Very comfortable. Great place to bring young kids and only a short walk to the beach. An even shorter walk to the rai forest walk.

Only stayed on a passing visit. Rooms were ok, heating appliances didn't work. 1 split system upstairs in bedroom 1. Was so very cold downstairs. Very large lists of criteria. Do not do this or the repercussions will be. Glad I only booked for 1 passing through night. It would be very disappointing if it was a holiday stay. The bathroom upstairs was so squeaky, you could hear every movement made by people using that area. Trundle bed mattress could feel every spring in the bed. It was cheap for a family of 5 but a big No thanks on a returning visit.

This place was such an amazing clean resort! The townhouses was perfect and extremely clean!!! So happy with their flexibility!!! The amenities were all amazing!!! Kids had the best time and we barely left the resort!!! Beautiful beach across the road and was such an amazing location! 5min drive to restaurants takeaway places everything you need! We will only stay here from now on when coming to port Macquarie! The owner is super friendly as well. Highly recommend!!!

Disappointing customer service. Had emergency medical situation in our family group and wasn’t able to change our booking. Forced to cancel and as per cancellation policy 50% refund. Very commercial response to situation where all others gave much better consideration to difficult situation. Would look elsewhere to stay.

After a long day travelling when every truck in NSW was on the road and all in heaven were showering we arrived at Aston Hill Motor Lodge to Annette’s warm welcome. Fresh milk for a much needed cuppa and a clean comfortable room awaited us for an overnight stay. Early night and a sound sleep saw us renewed and refreshed to go on our way. The linen was crisp and the towels were soft and “snuggly”. All the little things were thought of and appreciated. Thank you Rene and Annette, your old fashioned hospitality was greatly appreciated and highly recommended by this octogenarian couple .

Great family get away spot. The kids loved the lagoon and its fantastic that water toys are provided. The cabins are perfect for sharing with another family or just for yourself. Very reasonably priced and I love that all cabins have washer and dryers.

Absolutely the best holiday place I've been to. The whole place oozes relaxation, from the lake, to the trees to the wooden cabin feel of the entertainment areas and the upstairs loft at each apartment. Beautiful. Thank you from my whole family.
Matt C — Google review
We enjoyed our week here! It's set in a fun, jungly setting. The "bungalows" are all 3 bedroom - one being a loft. Two bathrooms. Clean and stocked with dishes and other needed things. There's a heated pool, a hot tub, mini golf, tennis courts, a small gym, and a little lake with a little beach. You can borrow all kinds of things from reception, like pool toys, life jackets, oars, golf clubs, tennis rackets, DVDs, games, and puzzles. There's also plenty to do in the area to fill up a week!
Melinda M — Google review
This was our second visit to the resort. The first time we travelled as a couple this time we brought the family with us. The size and layout of the villas enabled a multi generational family plenty of space. There resort is in a very convenient location for taking advantage of all the tourist destinations. The only downside is the short office hours if you want to access equipment for the onside activities, DVD's etc. The villas could do with updating, but we still thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found the staff very helpful.

Beautifully appointed 2 bedroom accommodation, each with bathrooms. Plus a 4 bed area upstairs. Lots of room with a large kitchen and dining area. Close to restaurants and cafes. Games area plus swimming pool and spa and more.
Mondo Q — Google review
This is a really great holiday destination for families. The place is a bit dated, hasn't changed much in 30 years, but it's a good set up. It's safe for kids to ride their bikes around. There's a large lagoon with little beach areas to sit in, and a bunch of canoes. There's an indoor swimming pool. It's generally pretty quiet, and the rooms are comfortable. There's lots of bbq equipment around. It's a good base for seeing Port Macquarie, but you could also just stay here for your whole holiday.

It should have been 5 stars as the room was nice and the location is great. However, I left a bathing costume there and asked for it to be sent to me and they asked for $30 to post it. Sorry guys, I can buy new togs for that and I thought it was pretty ordinary of you to ask for so much. You are still a service industry, and frankly, should have called ME to report you found them without me having to ask.
Shaun D — Google review
The rooms were clean and tidy, with washing machine, dryer, full kitchen and parking. Flynns Beach was just across the road and the bus stop was right out the front. The pool was good although a lot of people don’t obey the rules. The rooms were quite warm as they had no ceiling fans or aircons although there were plug in fans in the wardrobe. Other vacationers were not considerate as they slammed their doors and played music loud.
Tracey P — Google review
Pool was nice, and the barbecue, good location, and the three bedroom room for six adults was great. But would have really appreciated a lift or at least have known there was none so we could book further down the stairs. Two people with health conditions making it hard for them to do stairs often was not the best.

Tallowwood House Luxury Bed & Breakfast Port Macquarie is a 4-star accommodation located just 6.5 kilometers from Port Macquarie Airport. The B&B offers two room options and provides facilities such as parking, WiFi, and food. Guests have raved about the flawless design and execution of the rooms, with special mentions for the comfortable bedding and serene rainforest views from the deck. The breakfast served has been described as exceptional, making for a delightful dining experience.
Tallowwood is one of those delightful surprises - from the outside modest but elegant settled against the backdrop of a stunning rainforest, then inside - wow! Stylish, spacious, and comfortable, with all mod-cons. Mandy has gone above and beyond with attention to detail and luxury fabrics, furnishings and fittings. Tallowwood offers privacy and space and made us feel utterly spoiled. We had a delicious gourmet breakfast in our own private courtyard. It was an easy stroll to beautiful Shelly Beach, and Mandy was able to offer some great recommendations for places to eat locally for dinner.

If only i could give it more than 5 stars. Shane and Mandy are delightful hosts, so friendly and accommodating. We have struggled to find luxury dog-friendly places to stay, until now. You will not find any fault with the property. It's cosy, warm and beautifully designed. Omg the breakfast was delicious! It was amazing stay and we no doubt will be back again with our golden retriever (Benny).

I stayed here for my birthday for two nights, From the moment I arrived, I was completely enchanted by the space. I had the unique pleasure of staying in both rooms, each with its own distinct charm and personality. Every corner held something beautiful and thoughtful, and I was genuinely so grateful to experience them both. Mandy, the host is an absolute gem 💛 warm, welcoming and full of heart. She went above and beyond for me (you know exactly what you did/thank you, truly) Her love for the home radiates through every detail, from the cozy textures to the little artistic touches. I melted into relaxation during my stay, the bath was pure bliss and don’t even get me started on Mandy’s cooking. Every breakfast was absolutely delicious & one of the highlights. This place is a haven, and I already can’t wait to return. If you’re looking for a sign to book this is it. You absolutely won’t regret it 🥰👏

This was hands down the best luxury pet friendly accommodation I’ve ever stayed in! It can be incredibly hard to find high-end places that welcome pets, but this gem exceeded all my expectations! Mandy was so warm and welcoming. She went above and beyond to make us feel at home and I really appreciated her service. The space is stunning — beautifully styled and decorated. Everything from the bedding to the high-end bathroom products added to the feeling of indulgence and comfort. One of the highlights was the breakfast. It was absolutely delicious! The selection of fresh, beautifully presented fruits and the smashed avocado toast was the perfect start to our day. The location was great, the atmosphere was peaceful, and the overall experience was one of true relaxation and quality. I can’t recommend this place highly enough for anyone travelling with pets who doesn’t want to compromise on luxury. Thank you for such a wonderful and memorable stay! We’ll definitely be back!

After seeing the excellent reviews for Tallowwood House we decided to book the Tallowwood room for a couple of nights last weekend and we weren’t disappointed. The location was great, the room was excellently presented and was very comfortable and our host Mandy was very friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable during our stay. We were very lucky to find this little gem! Tallowwood House B&B is top notch best B&B experience we've ever had. It was an icing on the cake for our last night of a wonderful holiday to Northern NSW. Port Macquarie is a lovely place to visit, scenery and beaches to die for, only 4 hours away from the madness of Sydney. If you are looking for relaxing getaway this is. Beautiful Tallowwood House is brand new - great design, perfect location for exploring the coastline and short stroll to Shelly Beach, one of many in the area. Mandy was a terrific welcoming host, was such a pleasure to connect with, full of stories & creative inspiration to take home. There are 2 spacious guest suites, both with gorgeous interiors filled with personal touches everywhere, large bathrooms, high ceilings and crafty private outdoor spaces surrounded by nature reserve. Luxurious linens, multitude of soft pillows, heavenly king size bed - the best sleep! It was hard to leave our comfy bed, but scrumptious big breakfast on the private terrace overlooking the bush was worth getting up for! Delicious, gourmet and generous, wow! We will be back for more adventures in the region and cannot wait to stay at Tallowwood again! Thank you so much Mandy and Shane for creating and sharing this slice of heaven hugged by nature.

Good location for lighthouse beach and a cute small shopping center just across the street for a good breakfast spot and a few other options. But it is about 10-12 minutes from the main part of town so you definitely need a car. Place itself was very old and outdated, walls were VERY thin you could hear next door and above. But cute patio and the hostess very communicative, but comfortable for a short 2 night stay.

Nice house. The racio of beds to bathrooms is not desirable. Less than 10 minutes walk to the beach. Steep climb on the return. Though, not a problem for surfers. location was great for price we paid… although apartment didn’t feel clean , definitely due for a spruce up . cockroach poo in draws and couch felt dirty etc. kitchen could of done with some extra cleaning items even the dishwashing detergent was watered down . Queen bed was very hard and uncomfortable and lighting was terrible at night through bedroom windows. pool was lovely for the kids . i would definitely try somewhere else next time .

Do not recommend!! The air conditioner broke and leaked over the floor, no spare towels or bin liners. Couches were dirty and old. We found the management very rude to deal with!! The rooms are very bright at night still with lights on all night outside. They need black out curtains. There was only 2 rolls of toilet paper and hardly any laundry detergent left. Management also tried to charge us $100 for a blanket that was already broken before we had been there. Money grabbing thieves! Disgusted!

Beautiful resort. Staff are lovely, rooms were pretty good, facilities were great. It is important to remember it is a family centric resort so, around the pool and games area can get busy. Be advised, there is a no kids allowed spa that can be booked at reception for some quiet time. School holiday activities are available but check with reception for age limits. Staff seem to have different ideas, get them to confirm. There is so much to do around Port Macquarie and if you like pies and bakery food, find or get directions to Bels Bakery on Gordon St. If you are an owner and like to meet other owners, the one here is more just free food and drinks and because it is a large resort, it gets busy. You will need to get there early for a table and be proactive in starting conversations with others. Nothing wrong but different to many others we have been to. Beach is a short walk and is great for swimming and there are rocks for a bit of family adventure. On the way back, there is an amazing little book shop with a lovely owner with a staggering collection. In all, an amazing place, but if you are seeking a peaceful get away, avoid school holidays or plan activities in the surrounding areas. We have been twice and have booked a third and it is a 9 hour drive each way. That's how much we liked it.

While the location is praised, it's worth noting that there are several stairs to climb, which may not be suitable for older individuals. Nonetheless, many visitors have enjoyed their stay in this lovely accommodation.
