We love coming here for morning tea on Saturdays. The view is sensational, and the coffee is good alongside the banana bread! It's a busy location but we always manage to snag a seat. Plenty of parking around the area.

This cafe was a breath of fresh air! It was up vibe and busy but the staff were warm and welcoming, with time for a chat. The Brisket Benedict was sublime, so many flavours bursting through my tastebuds all at once! The coffee is the best I have had in Port Macquarie and quite frankly, I cannot wait to return to this absolute gem! 10/10…

Social Grounds is one of those special places you stumble upon and can't wait to tell people about. The moment you walk in, you just get this amazing feeling. It’s got such a beautiful, contemporary setup with tons of character – it's more than just a cafe, it's a whole vibe. The staff are genuinely lovely and make you feel so welcome, and the coffee is absolutely top-notch. It's worth stopping for the coffee alone. For anyone visiting, it's super convenient. If you're staying at the Port Macquarie Backpackers Hostel, it's a decent little walk down the main street. You'll find it right opposite the well-known growers market, which is a great landmark. I'll be adding some photos I took to show you just how great the place looks. Cannot recommend this place enough. It's a must-visit whether you're a local or just passing through!

Went there this morning and it was amazing. Great food, great atmosphere, and even better service. We were greeted with a smile and the experience only got better from there. If you're looking for a place to have great food and the next coffee in town, Social Grounds is the place to go.

Popped in for a quick breakfast treat - opted for the awesome French toast with Maple, Bacon, Berries and Marscapone - has a covered outdoor courtyard area as well as a few tables in door - also has facilities in the courtyard area - nice place - lovely meal - had heard that the Cafe had new owners and wanted to check it out. Perhaps a little more customer interaction as a suggestion but I will be back - Good service & building customer relationships will attribute to much success in this town.

Not only was the service SO good, but the coffee and food was incredible! I was very impressed with how delicious and creative the vegan hash was and would absolutely go out of my way to have it again.

A nice cafe on the marina/near the water. Nice to sit outside near the water in the fresh air. Can also sit inside. Staff are very nice and accommodating but food was a bit disappointing. Big breakfast only served with 1 x slice of toast and had to pay extra for a hash brown. Smashed avo n eggs on sourdough toast only served with one small poached egg. Smashed avocado on the 1 x slice of toast was very bland and it made the toast very soggy. Coffee however was nice tasting n strong (like strong coffee).

A delicious lunch sat by the marina. Service was prompt and the food just perfect. My grilled chook breast burger melted in my mouth. The Prawn mornay crepe was delicious too.

We had breakfast at Seasalt on a recommendation. Sorry but we were not impressed. My poached eggs, bacon and mushrooms was a let down. Lots of undercooked bacon, eggs were cooked but cold along with the mushrooms. 🍄‍🟫 My wife’s mug of cappuccino was slopped into the saucer. Disappointing and overpriced. We had a much more pleasant experience at a little Cafe on Gordon Street called Social Grounds. Great food and service and reasonably priced 👍 I will post a couple of pictures from Social Grounds… I have no interest whatsoever in promoting Social Grounds Cafe. Im not a resident of Port Macquarie. I merely made an unbiased comparison based on my experience. Im sorry you reacted in such a negative way, constructive criticism never hurts.

I don't like to do a negative review as we usually enjoy our meals here and the lady who served us was such a lovely lady who has served us many times in the past, however, we both ordered the mahi mahi as this is normally a very nice tasting fish that we have had it at other restaurants. Apart from being a very tiny serve, it was drastically over-cooked and as dry as a piece of leather. We had waited a long time to get it, so wasn't going to send it back and wait even longer, so we ate it anyway. The waitress apologised and offered us a sweet to share, which we chose a citrus tart. We ended up not getting what we selected even though there were plenty there and we were served the "cake of the day" for some reason, which was a very ordinary tasting cheese cake. Sorry for the poor review, but we were looking forward to a lovely lunch for our anniversary and were totally disappointed.

Gorgeous little cafe over the water. Visited here twice during our recent stay in Port Macquarie. Great coffee and the place seems to be a favourite with locals. It does get quite busy, so definitely make a booking if wanting a table near the water.

My husband an I tried seasalt for the first time an probably the last after the breakfast we had our poached eggs were hard and the Turkish bread overcooked so rock hard you could barely get a knife thru it the coffees were great the outdoor area perfect but the food needs more attention. The waiters were friendly but the others behind the counter wouldn't even smile or ask what was needed after standing at the counter for 10 minutes.

Disappointed with the Corn and Zucchini Fritter which had been pre-made and cooked then reheated. The poached egg was perfect. The cake fridge has a lovely selection. The location of the Cafe is lovely and dog friendly.

Ordered the bagel special that was unknowingly a sweet dish with a side if avo 😅 still yum but switch the bagel was toasted but it really is a matter of preference

Food was absolutely amazing! Coffee strong, good variety and delicious! The food was all so fresh and one of the best halloumi’s I have ever had. The atmosphere and vibe was very chill, I could have sat there all day! One of my favourite plants hanging from the ceiling and on tables, give me a cafe with plants any day! We were just passing through but we will definitely be back!

We moved to Port Macquarie 5 months ago and have been to quite a few cafes since arriving but what a find this cafe is. Superb service, beautiful food and in cute surroundings. We had our 14 year old border collie with us who isn’t doing so well and our waitress was so kind and thoughtful. I don’t write many reviews so an impression usually has to be made for me to do so and this experience was special. “Get on the bandwagon!”

Super charming place to watch the sun go down and plenty of seating to get that water view. The coffee is delicious here and I'm super fussy, every bit of food that I've had especially the fish tacos have always been on the money. Extremely friendly staff and if you turn up later you can order your coffee and food down the bottom bar area and they give you a buzzer.. very simple, fast, efficient business. Extremely clean toilets and very mod. This would be one number one taking my father here and family and friends. The view is hard to pass, especially When you pick the wind going away from the building.

Only place I’ve gone where you can get a cocktail in a coconut 🍹+🥥!!! Both cocktails were in a world of their own, and as a seasonal cocktailer… well.. simply sublime‼️ Special commendations to the handsome bearded bartender who whipped up a special apple and elderberry drink, what a king 👑🍎!!

Great food which is usually expected for a Flowers establishment. The coffees, food and alcohol always great, but the atmosphere and location is the real winner of the venue. Regardless if you go for a breakfast, Sunday arvo chill session or evening with acoustic musicians, the water views are beautiful.

Great little lunch spot. We met before a farm stay out of Port. Great island style atmosphere; very friendly staff. Food was quick to be delivered and so so delicious. Had the Nasi Goreng and it hit the spot after the drive from Sydney.

(3.5 stars) When the restaurant at Rydges Port Macquarie couldn’t make a barista coffee before 7am (despite claiming they open at 6.30am) we ventured just beyond the property to Little Shack. With the feel of an island bar, this indoor-outdoor space wraps itself around a salt and wind tolerant Norfolk Island pine (rather than a coconut palm). Windbreaks make it winter-friendly, with festooned fairy lights beating the early morning gloom. Facing onto the Port Hasting River, it comes into full sun later in the day. Barista-made Will & Co coffees ($5.50/regular) were no problem here. The chilli mushroom burrito ($18) revolves around tasty sautéed buttered mushrooms. There’s also creamy scrambled eggs, a hash brown for body, and smoked tomato chutney for some tang, plus a pot of guacamole I didn’t touch. While you do have to ask rather than see gluten-free options marked on the menu, my dining companion felt catered to with bacon and egg tacos ($17.50/2). Loaded with scrambled eggs, Bangalow bacon and charred chorizo, and lashed with chipotle aioli, they’re a decent protein hit. It was only let down (like my own breakfast) by oxidised pots of pre-prepared guacamole.

The current 4.3 rating is an utter injustice. A beautiful little restaurant with a gorgeous view. We’ve never seen so many dolphins jumping so high over the waves! The food was great! We had the smashed avo and the breakfast taco which had so much flavour and were a mark above most cafe breakfasts. The green goddess smoothie was deliciously coconut mango-y and the hot choccy was like a little milky hug. It has a great atmosphere with the decorations and soft indie music. I absolutely will come back and recommend wholeheartedly!

Limited menu, very fancy so not for your typical person. Also not for those who want a proper feed unless you are okay order a bunch of sides because each meal is like 1 ingredient. Each is very delicious though and I'm lucky I got this paid for by my work otherwise I would not come. Though I know this is the intention of fancy places.

Summary - not very good value, food or service. We went for a conference dinner at $90 a head - for this you would expect some good food and some wine on the table. We got one drink each and then had to purchase - which was not cheap. The food was not very good - overcooked and quite plain, with small serves. There were no sides or salads on the table. The service was poor - to the effect that the wait staff didn’t pay attention to how they served and provided those on our table with chicken for entree and chicken for a main - good if you like chicken. Dessert was poor too - they obviously didn’t have enough brownies and therefore smashed what they had into the base of bowls - so you had two small bits below some ice cream. Port Macquarie is expensive and this dining experience was poor too. My views were reiterated by 6 others I asked - so it wasn’t just me. 2 stars cause the food was prompt and the view was good.

Went for dinner with friends for my birthday. Had the chef’s special chorizo gnocchi and mushroom arancini and both were delicious. Atmosphere was beautiful and service was great. I was even gifted with a complimentary glass of wine.

We had dinner here recently. Atmosphere was nice but I did not feel it delivered on the expectation. The service was good but not really relational - the staff did not seem happy but just doing their duty. At one point a waiter came and said our meals were taking longer than expected and asked if we wanted garlic bread. We didn’t think it had taken that long but with the prospect of it taking longer we said yes to the bread. I did feel this was more a marketing ploy to sell more because we got the bread and the meals came almost straight after. The meals we had were pretty unremarkable. Nice, but nothing ‘restaurant special’. The fact I happily paid $45 for a steak and it came very small and not especially tasty was disappointing. Really felt we could have had better at home. So just three stars from me - I usually give 5 but just didn’t feel this was honest for this one.

On the last Saturday of January, we dined at Zebu to mark the end of our holiday. Evening started off as usual, greeted at reception. Ordered drinks (which were great) to start off, and the waitress took our orders for food after that. That's where things started to go downhill. Ordered entrees, mains, and a bottle of wine with table water. She didn't repeat the order as what we expected from past dining experiences all around to start off. Entrees came after a reasonable time (15ish mins). After finishing, the main course came after 25 or so mins. However, between finishing entrees and mains being served, the entree plates and some finished cocktail glasses were not taken away despite the staff being active in welcoming other guests and walking around, we felt a bit disregarded relative to other guests. Mains came, and only then did another staff member - who was stationed at the front the whole time - come with the main plates and then made the effort to take our starter plates and glasses. Mains were very good, no issues there. Throughout this, the wine originally ordered never came. After our plates from mains were taken, another waitress (who didn't take our order) asked if there was anything else needed, where then I brought up the wine issue and said for that to be cancelled. Our water throughout this whole evening was never topped up until the very end when I asked. Even then, my own empty glass wasn't filled, only my wife's. At the end of our time at Zebu, the initial ordering waitress came by, and I explained to her our experience so far. She said she'll inform her manager and soon after the gentleman from the front, who was the supervisor that evening, apologised and added a discount to our check. I explained to him as well what happened and being someone who's worked in the same industry for many years, and also knowing what the Rydges reputation in general is, being of a higher standard, I was extremely underwhelmed with the service. He was very nice and genuine during this interaction. I thanked the chefs at the end for their hard work but told them about the service issues, which they acknowledged. That ordering waitress never came around to top up our water, but did so for every other table (all but 1 table was occupied) as per our observations. Once I asked for the check, the waitress stopped pouring water. (At any bar or restaurant with alcohol, water must be available) The F&B director was also spotted speaking to the supervisor as we left. I had to take 2 glasses of water from the adjacent bar just to have something to drink after the first glass and cocktail. Finally, I told the restaurant to call me as my number was on the reservation records. No one called me until I, just before this post was written, called them myself after 1 week, where I was told that due to staff shortages that shift, they were undermanned, but the F&B director Patrick never apologised during the call, saying no one told him to give me a call. He cut the line at the end to add insult, I didn't feel he genuinely wanted to speak to me. Overall, there were fantastic food and drinks which were enjoyed, but very underwhelming service which soured the evening.

The food was great - they did forget a few items but when we reminded they instantly brought it out. Very friendly service. Saw a friend at the cafe! Very dog friendly. Sunny, nice atmosphere. Would recommend. Food was out within 10 mins of ordering- even the forgotten items!

Had thee most banger of a Breakfast here this morning. I had the Breaky Wrap with bacon, scrambled eggs, baked beans and tomato relish which was flavourful and filling, that definitely hit the spot. I also got hash browns on the side and they were cooked to perfection (chefs kiss) crispy and hot. My partner got the Bacon & Egg Burger, I blinked and it disappeared, thats how good it was. He said it was good sized, egg still runny and the tomato relish went really well with it. A plus for me was that there was Campos coffee beans and I hadn’t had a good coffee in a few days so I really appreciated that coffee its was heaven in a cup. Thank you so much to Dexter & Cory (correct me if I got those names wrong) for the lovely service this morning, and a special thanks to Dex for giving us some touristy things to do while we were in Port Macquarie, then on our way back half an hour or so later he gave us wave as we drove past. Amazing service here, great food and drinks, fast and efficient would definitely recommend this cafe to anyone visiting Port Mac Thank you again, from another cafe staff member to another.

We’ve been to a few of The Corner’s monthly Gourmet Nights now and every single one has been outstanding. The atmosphere feels special the moment you walk in, like you’re part of something the team has put their whole heart into. The food is always the star. Each course is beautifully presented and tastes incredible, with a menu that changes monthly so you never know exactly what’s coming but you know it’ll be good. It’s clear everything is made fresh and with care. What really makes the night, though, is the service. The staff are warm, welcoming and genuinely excited to share the experience with you. You don’t feel like just another booking; it feels personal, like dining with friends who also happen to be brilliant at running a restaurant. If you’re looking for a memorable night out in Port Macquarie, Gourmet Night at The Corner is the one. We always leave feeling full, happy and already planning for the next one.

Coffee is exceptional in this cafe. Possibly the best coffee in Port Macquarie. Service was excellent too with very friendly staff members. There’s not too much in the menu to choose from, especially if you only want a little snack. In the end we ordered toast with scrambled egg ($12). Overall a nice place and will definitely return for their coffee.

Very well balanced flavours with quality produce. Had the AMT and sampled my wife's eggs benedict with smoked salmon. No seasoning required for the dishes at the table as everything was delicious Good portion size and reasonable price. Coffee was well made and staff friendly. Wish it was my local cafe and/or I had more time to try some of the other breakfast options!

A lovely family restaurant. Everyone gets a fresh bread roll to start. I had the seafood crepe which was very tasty. Lovely salad included which had fruit also. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Thankyou.

Clean tables, however uncomfortable chairs. Service very slow but pleasant staff. Stay away from the Savoury crepe,glad I ordered a side of sour cream as the Veggie supreme crepe was tasteless and weird choice of filling, served with weird side of watermelon. pineapple, 1/2 strawberry lettuce, cucumber, 1 cherry tomato, carrot and 3 small pretzels grapes, kiwi fruit, peach, very strange. Hawaiian crepe with ham cheese, pineapple was nice. 3 stack pancakes with maple syrup and ice cream was beautiful.

Nice pancakes and fun decor. Pancakes are expensive for what they are, but still very nice. I'd also say the "chocolate indulgence" dessert is more like a banana split pancake (bananas, chocolate topping and crushed nuts) with a few maltesers. Not as chocolatey as you think it's going to be.

I recently visited Pancake Place and, unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. We had to wait far longer than expected for our order, which set a negative tone for the visit. When the food finally arrived, it was below average in both taste and presentation, and the coffee was honestly one of the worst I’ve had — bitter and unpleasant. While the staff were polite, the overall quality of the food and drinks did not meet expectations. I hope the café takes this feedback as an opportunity to improve, as the location and atmosphere have potential to be much better.

Strawberry banana pancake was good but any of those with berries we tried in the past were with frozen fruit and not nice at all. Good service and they quickly cleared a table for us away from some that were very noisy. More table outside would be a help. Not open on some days so check the hours.

You can feel the love and passion from the team the moment you enter. Our three boys absolutely loved their pancakes, (Banana with Caramel Sauce) and the sticky date pudding pancakes are absolutely divine and the coffee is also amazing! If you're on holidays in Port Mac, treat yourself, you won't be disappointed.

Nice Cafe is located at a nice view. Coffee can be better since it didn't taste well as expected. Service on the other hand was quite alright.

We have dined there several times on the way to Sydney and the food and service were top notch. However on the way back to Brisbane (36/9/25) The service took half an hour and the scrambled eggs tasted like plastic. The toasted sandwich( no croissants available) , could I have gotten a better one at a roadside diner? Yes! Very dissatisfied,

Nice cafe located just beside the beach. Their food was quite nice with our favourite being the waffles! Their food is quite aesthetic like the French toast and Mediterranean toast too but tasted average. Would visit again just for casual brunch in the area as it was just below our apartment.

Breakfast was a mixed experience, nice coffee but simply the worst big breakfast we've ever eaten. It was cold, the scrambled eggs were dry and tasted like powdered eggs and the mushrooms seemed to be have been thru a dehydrator. Bacon (also cold) was a short cut and quite tasteless - we did enjoy the bread

Best Coffee I'd had all week! ☕️ Staff was friendly and attentive, especially for being first thing in the morning. Customers looked after in a timely manner, and the wait time was to be expected for a Brekky rush. Decided to give this place a try even with unsatisfied customer reviews and was glad we did. Have no complaints with Staff or Service we received and will definitely be back when we're in town again.

Had coffee here with a friend - friendly and quick service, coffee's good. Little bit of street noise, but overall still worth a visit.

Food was good however after 40 minutes of waiting for it we went and checked and were advised it would be another 5-10 minutes but had to wait another 20 minutes. Not good enough to have to wait an hour for a quick meal.

Absolutely stunning experience at The Little Fish Restaurant! The French cuisine here is nothing short of five-star 🥂every dish was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. We ordered the three-course meals and loved every single bite, from the entrée to dessert. The atmosphere is equally impressive – such a lovely place for a romantic date or a special celebration. We had a great time for lunch on Saturday at Little Fish! The sun came out just for us and we had a table with a view of the vineyard! We had the special cocktail which had rose and orange slice and was just divine under the sun while we decided on our menu (so many delicious choices!) My mother has this delicious honey goats cheese starter in puff pastry with a delicious salad and I couldn’t help but try the mussels in garlic with bread crumbs that were big in size and just made me feel so happy. We both had the duck leg for main with lovely creamy mash, carrots and broccolini and cabbage that had been soaked and tasted amazing with juniper berry. The mixture with fig in the sauce was just divine! And of course we shared a dessert that was a chocolate cheesecake with a berry and custard compote and vanilla bean whipped cream! If that is the last dessert I ever have in my lifetime… well let’s just say my life is complete! Thank you again for having us!

Absolutely unbelievable. This restaurant is brilliant. On a wonderful winery with hone made wines, you can order single meals or 2 or 3 course sitting. The wait staff are fabulous and the atmosphere is wonderful. I would truly highly recommend Little Fish Cafe Restaurant Vineyard to everyone coming to Port Macquarie.

What a great find, !!!! I’m in love 😍 HIGHLY RECOMMEND Entree - Lima Beans in the most amazing sauce, topped with feta & pickled onion , this combination was absolutely sensational! I had the Vegetarian Moussaka and my mother had the lamb moussaka , you can taste the love in these dishes!!! The portions sizes were perfect. Will definitely be back again, Cannot wait to try more next time I pass through Port Macquarie again soon.

We really enjoy this restaurant and usually come once or twice a year when we visit Port Macquarie. However this time there were a couple of things that weren’t as good as the last time we visited. I ordered prawns with chorizo and the plate where it was served didn’t have any space to put the shells. A side bowl would have been perfect. My husband had the Bouillabaisse and had to ask for a spoon twice. Also no side bowl for the fish shells. The soup had a lovely flavour but we thought the amount of fennel was too much. Overall another lovely meal but not as good as we’d been used in the past.

Late post but still posting my review. We moved to Port around April and we've only been trying out some place. Some are good and some aren't. This one is good! Very good place to get a meal. The beef cheek is to Die for as well as the French Onion Soup, had a special pasta that day as well which was really good! Service wise, it's one of the most pleasant experience I had in a restaurant here in Port Macquarie. Went there a bit earlier but I reckon it can packed full of people, well of course not until the restrictions are lifted.

Delicious food. There was a set menu but my dairy free needs were perfectly catered for. Delightful jazz style live music playing as well that was not too loud and very enjoyable. Suggest getting up and having a little walk around as the winery and the big trees on site are gorgeous too. You feel like your miles away from port macquarie but its so close. Our waitress was so friendly and made our night an absolute pleasure. Plenty of dessert options although we were both so full. Even though the place was quite busy we were attended to efficiently and the food was fresh. Thanks heaps Little Fish. Will be back.

I had a lovely early dinner at Twotriplefour by Bills. I was a walk in with no reservation and was quickly greeted and sat at a table by the exceptional server. Service was fabulous, my server quickly had my drinks, including a lovely crisp prosecco, at the table. I greatly enjoyed the Beef Tartare. It had a fabulous texture with hazelnuts and gooey egg yolk. The different tastes were complex and complimentary with the warmth of the horseradish cream and the freshness of the pickled onions. My baby cos salad was a deconstructed caesar salad with the crunchy parmesian crisps and bacon emulation. While I get what they were trying to do, it was a bit unwieldy with the whole baby cos. Taste was great though. Overall a lovely night.

Had a lovely dinner at two triple four. Amazing entrees, we had the chicken liver parfait, the baked triple Brie, house bread and oysters. The atmosphere is nice and cozy and service was excellent.

This was the best eating experience I have had in a long time. Fabulous food, great cocktails, generous serves, beautiful, friendly and genuine staff who clearly love what they are doing and love each other. Their energy is infectious and creates a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend. I suggest go in med- large group and share both small and large plates. The special cumquat cocktail was amazing.

Awesome food and fabulous service. Twotriplefour really does serve the best food in Port Macquarie. We chose 1 large and then several share plates which were all delicious. The cauliflower bhaji, the scotch eggs, the meatballs are all to die for.

Nice place, loads of room, lovely outdoor space out the back. Drinks order stuffed up. The Kingfish on the Fennel Apple was nice, but nothing special - but the Kombu broth just didn’t work, insipid. The corn ribs, I expected too much, they could have been excellent, but they were so ordinary - just missing flavour. Overpriced and underwhelming.

We had our 30th wedding anniversary dinner here. We had the Chef’s tasting selection which was amazing 👍🏼😊 - we particularly loved the chicken liver parfait, the grilled halloumi and the lamb rump navarin 😋. The staff were wonderful and it’s a beautiful space.

Cute little cafe with lovely staff, great atmosphere and delicious food. Enjoyed sitting in the little sun trap for brunch. I had the poached eggs with mediterranian salsa (tomato and avacado), whilst my fella had the mushroom omelette. Both were scrumptious 🤭

Its a nice little place tucked away on the street, perfect for lunch and dinner. The food was tasted really good and the service was next level. From taking the order at the table to grating cheese on our meals the experience was well worth the money.

Genuinely the best Carbonara I’ve ever had! The service is is top notch and the food is just incredible, they really know what they’re doing! I can completely understand why it’s so often booked out as their cuisine exceeds the quality of most Italian places in large cities. Next chance I get I’ll definitely be back.

Had great expectations for this restaurant but unfortunately that wasnt our experience. We happened to book in on a Thursday night which is pasta night (where every second pasta dish ordered is $10). The place was very busy so we didn't think much of it when our food wasn't served quickly. However, I then realised that tables who ordered much later than us had their entrees, then their mains, at which point, we had neither. I asked the waitress about this, to which her response is that they are very busy, so I said that i understood that but it didn't explain why other tables after us received their food first. Anyhow, she said she would check. But no one came back for another 15 mins, so I hailed down another waitress to ask a similar question. She must've passed on the message, because the original waitress then reappeared... Not with an explanation or update, but to retake our orders. From scratch. Without a single word of apology. This was about an hour in sitting at the table with only our drinks. We eventually received our food. Still no apologies. Food was decent and tasty. But by then we were a bit over it unfortunately. The table next to us (who arrived later than us but finished two courses before we even received any of our food) said to us, as they left, that we should ask for compensation. But since we still ate the food, we didn't make a fuss. We suspected that the waitress didn't even dare to tell the manager or owner about what happened. The final blow came at the check out when the totals didn't add up. We queried it and it turns out they omitted to charge two of the pastas at the special $10. On pasta night when it was busy?! They fixed the error but again, no apologies or anything whatsoever. We may have just been unlucky, but if you visit on pasta night, be prepared to wait, and perhaps pay attention to the bill!

DO NOT COME HERE IF BUSY!,Came to this restaurant after seeing it on google, words cannot describe this place. We made a reservation for 6.30 and were seated by 6.20. Thus far everything was normal, we ordered food and sat there waiting, however after 20min the food had not arrived and after 30min tables who ordered their food after us started to recieve theirs. Seeing this we asked the waiter who took our order if she knew what was happening with our food. She told us she'd check with the kitchen. 30min later we hadn't seen the waiter again and so asked one of her colleagues the same question. 10min later the waiter who took our order came up and asked for our order again, as if we had just been seated and not already been waiting for an hour. When the food finally arrived all hope of salvaging a bad experience dissapeared, the spagehtti bolognese was incredibly watery and the rest of the pasta was nothing worth noting. As we paid the bill the same lady who took our original order served us, and over charged us by $35, upon further inquiry she seemed confident she had not made a mistake only to discover she had not applied the Pasta Night deal that the entire restaurant of customers was using (incredibly full upstairs and downstairs). After all of this commotion, there were no apologies made. 3 hours of my life I will never get back

Highly recommend if you want delicious meals. Thursday nights provide awesome value for money with special deals. I can honestly say that I have never had so much delicious seafood in a Spaghetti Marinara before!! Yummmmmmy, and great friendly service from staff. If you are in Port Macquarie and feel like Italian for dinner, Cafe 66 is the place to go ❤

The lovely waitress recommended my wife and I tried the Smokey Shakshuka Breakfast special. 10/10 - delicious! Amazing views and more importantly the service of staff was 10/10. Compliments to the chef!

We had a lovely lunch at Rivermark Cafe. The food was delicious and the service was top-notch. I would highly recommend it to family and friends, or anyone visiting Port Macquarie looking for a delicious meal with water views.

Amazing service especially by Maureen, such a lovely and helpful lady. Food was delicious and super tasty. The only let down was how cold it was in the outside seated area. Very breezy and cold. Blankets were a nice touch but heating would make the experience so much better.

Such a high level of care and customer service, staff were attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Food came out so quickly, and all of our food was so fresh and delicious. Very impressed by the haloumi salad that I scoffed and scraped the bowl of! Thank you for such a lovely experience in such a beautiful location.

We had just flown into Port Macq as the Mrs is running some work so since we hadn't eaten anything, we headed out for lunch. Chops looked good so we decided to check it out. Our burgers came out and they looked great. I only have 1x small niggle. My double cheese smoked brisket was excellent but it would be better if the brisket was in one piece then in small pieces. It would be easier to eat. So apart from that I can't fault anything. Great work.

Cute restaurant by the water, the atmosphere was cute and very clean. The staff were friendly enough except for one of them making an off-handed comment on how quickly my mom finished her food which was not appreciated. Food is not worth the price you pay for it. I got the vermicelli salad which for $25 was incredibly small and underwhelming. I think it was also bulked up by an entire red onion, so I will not be kissing anyone tonight. My brother got the double cheese smoked brisket burger, he said it was average, very messy. The chips were well cooked, but seemed to be unseasoned. We went on a Thursday evening and there was a lot of seating available, but maybe gets more busy in the summer months. Don't think I will be going back.

Menu looked appealing with Asian fusion options like spring rolls, wings, vermicelli noodles. Ordered seafood chowder and hubby had fish and chips. The chips (fries) were tasty and fish (beramundi) was flaky. Chowder was disappointing. $30 for small serving containing two shrimp, some fish and assorted clams. Spring rolls were similarly high priced for what you get - 2 spring rolls $19. We also ordered wings which strangely come whole including the wing tip. It's not a bad place but I left still hungry after spending similar amount at restaurants in Sydney. Cocktails were interesting and fun and $15 Thu/Fri/Sat/Sun

Really great experience had the best tasting steak I think I’ve ever had in my whole entire life no exaggeration. Perfect portion sizes, great atmosphere down by the water, staff very friendly helpful and welcoming. Would recommend Chop And Chill to anyone in the area don’t miss out. It really is a great dining experience.

⭐ I ordered the grilled fish and chips with coleslaw for $29, but it was disappointing. and the portion was small for the price. The fish like cat bite , The milkshake also tasted more like plain milk and wasn’t even a full glass. Overall, not worth the money — presentation and quality need improvement.

What a lovely restaurant. On our first dining experience here, we ordered the Lemon Meringue, the Jack of Hearts and the Chop Monk, each of which were excellent cocktails, especially the Chop Monk. Our entree of trio of bread, followed by the roti tacos and chicken nasi goreng was delicious. Particularly the Nasi Goreng, which was seasoned to perfection such that it had a nice chilli kick, but not so much that you needed water. We returned to the restaurant for breakfast, purchasing two delicious muffins, a juice and an iced coffee. All of which exceeded out expectations. If you're looking for a nice casual restaurant that does it all, then this is the place to be.

Delicious food with a great view. We ordered the lox eggs Benedict, the Reuben, and the avocado toast. All were delicious and service was great! I can see how it would get pretty crowded during peak season.

Absolutely outstanding experience at Sandbox Café in Port Macquarie! Chef Pete Evans (not the kooky Paleo Pete) delivered dishes with incredible presentation and bold, fresh flavors that were simply next level. The service was exceptional — friendly, attentive, and with a real personal touch. Chef Pete even came out to chat, which made the whole experience even more memorable. On top of that, the café has stunning views that make it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy amazing food. Can’t recommend it highly enough!

Came here for a late lunch / afternoon tea and were not disappointed. Great waffles, poached eggs and banana bread, coffee and milkshakes. Staff were really friendly and helpful and attentive. Beautiful views sitting out on the deck overlooking Flynn’s beach. Well worth the trip!

The food was amazing, and the only thing better, was the staff. Couldn't rate them any higher. The place was packed, yet they still were very nice to everyone, turned the tables over quickly, kept the place clean and tidy, and we're very accommodating of our group of 10.

I think this is the right choice if you want to have breakfast with a comfortable atmosphere, delicious breakfast, delicious coffee, with very friendly service. If from the city center you need to walk about 20 minutes. But if you drive only need 5 minutes. Near with Fynns Beach.

Genuinely one of the best cafes we have ever been to! We’ve been 2 mornings in a row now, can’t wait to go back again. Food was incredible. Service was excellent!!! All the staff were working incredibly hard to clear tables and get people seated as fast as possible. One of the workers (I assume a manager - he was all over it!!!). Food arrived to our table and he wasn’t happy with the quality of the halloumi so he returned and fixed it! (Honestly I didn’t even know anything was wrong!) He took time to check on everyone regarding meals - despite being run off his feet! Have never seen such hard working hospitality staff who all seem like they genuinely care about the service to their customers!!! Also, extra bonus we saw whales just off the shore! 1000/10!!!

I come here every year when visiting Port! I love the cafe and the vibes. They have introduced a Strawberry Matcha and it was yummy and one of my favourite Matchas so far. I also got the avo and egg on toast. - I get the same thing everytime however they have added some fancy items to the dish and I think it was too much for me. Next time will be asking for basics! I know that everyone will love this cafe and this was just a incorrect ordering on my behalf. The side of mushrooms was delicious though and eggs pouched perfectly! Tip: Get a squirt of vallina syrup in the matcha for the perfect sweetness

Lovely little cafe on the Main Street of Port Macquarie. Coffee is always on point. Cafe has a really nice feel to it and a nice little outdoor garden seating area.

We went there for lunch and got the fish and chips and the omelette. Food was beautiful, I got the omelette and it was perfectly cooked. Such a beautiful little cafe, the staff were lovely. There was a group of old lady’s who seemed to be having a catch up, I could hear that they were also enjoying themselves by them complimenting the food and drinks they had. We are not from around here, about a 5 hour drive, we are here on holiday but will be 100% coming back if we were to ever pass by this place again. 10/10 would highly recommend to anyone wanting some lovely breakfast or lunch.

Bittersweet in Port Macquarie is honestly a dream. So many gorgeous cakes — I wanted to try them all! The vibe is cozy, the staff are lovely, and the desserts? 10/10. Highly recommend if you’re ever in the area!

What an absolute gem this place is! Even on a busy morning the staff were attentive and welcoming with everything that was going on. Back from a walk on the beach I was a bit tired and wanted breakfast at home but was skeptical my favourite poached eggs would be rock hard when I got home. Opening the box and digging in I found they were still warm and runny to my liking. Their pastries were to die for and well worth the price. I actually split my strawberry cheesecake over two sittings as it was so filling! Ice coffee was a hit. We came back the day before we left and loved the service. Even my dog was welcome. Well worth a visit. Will be back when I visit Pt Mac again.

Fabulous lunch with friends . Great food ,fresh produce and lovely selection on menu ! The best cakes and sweet delights in town. We are in but opted to take some tasty deserts home for afternoon tea.A thoroughly enjoyable experience!

What an amazingly wonderful lunch and cakes we had today. Found the place by accident whilst sight seeing. The food was superb, we were so happy we had stopped. 10 out of 10 for the food! 11 out of 10 for the cakes! So so good! The staff were very friendly and customer service was excellent as well. Very highly recommended.

We had a nice coffee and sweets here… but can we talk about the sourdough…. As I paid our bill I saw the sourdough and grabbed a large loaf. Well it turned out to be the one of the best sourdough I have ever eaten.. amazing flavour and soft. Wish I’d bought more before I left the region

All staff were friendly and helpful. The delicious cakes/desserts made on-site and a huge variety to choose from.

Of our four day road trip up and down the coast, this was the worst food by a mile. Waitress didn’t wipe down our table that had water all on it, we had to ask. The pumpkin and lentil pie I had was lukewarm at best, the salad was dry lettuce with a few beans on the side, my friends meal wasn’t much better. We were so tired we just wanted to eat and go to sleep or I would have complained but definitely would never be back!

Stopped in as we were staying a night at the hotel. We paid $180 for two steaks, a kids meal, some sourdough and a beer. The first $55 scotch fillet that came out was grey, overcooked (meant to be medium rare and it was well done) and was heavy on the gristle. It was served with a dozen undressed wilted roquette leaves and a ‘potato rosti’ which was inedible due to a strong eggy flavour and being cold in the middle. The sourdough was similar to a coles or Woolworths ‘sourdough’ and the end bit was half stale. The $59 eye fillet was undercooked, but was passable, again served with wilted roquette leaves and the rosti. We sent the scotch fillet back, the staff were quite accommodating and apologetic. We then sat for 20 minutes waiting for a replacement steak, by the time it came out even my 3 year old was finished eating. Again the steak was grey, very gristly and overcooked, somehow they found even more wilted roquette to serve with it this time, and it had the wrong sauce. All in all, very disappointing experience. For $55 for a scotch fillet it wasn’t even passable for an RSL buffet. Someone needs to buy the cook a meat thermometer and practice cooking some steaks as they obviously can’t cook steak to touch, and they need to work on presentation and purchasing some fresh garnish. Do not get sucked in to the convenience of eating here if you are staying at the hotel, overpriced, and sub par quality.

★★☆☆☆ Disappointing Overall, but Great Cocktails and Garlic Bread We were really looking forward to our meal at The Boathouse, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. The fish tacos were quite hard and over-fried, which we couldn’t eat and the tortillas seemed dry or possibly stale. The ceviche also missed the mark — it felt more like a salad with raw seafood, tinned corn, and cold tomatoes rather than a proper, citrus-cured ceviche. That said, the garlic bread was tasty, and the cocktails were definitely the highlight of the meal. With such a lovely setting, we were hoping for a bit more consistency in the food quality.

We went last night for our wedding anniversary. My husband had the scotch fillet. It was perfectly cooked, tender and he loved it. Comes with a complimentary side of potato which is unusual these days. I had the wild mushroom risotto. The best risotto I have ever eaten. Loads of flavour, perfect texture and perfect portion size. We shared a cheesecake for dessert which was also delicious. Awesome and memorable dinner. Very good value for money.

Entering the hotel gave us confidence the food would be ok. After asking for a table/place to order food and consume it, we were not too sure.... The hostess was not too helpful and just asked us to find a spot out there. Most of the tables were dirty, stained with food, spilled drinks. The floor was sticky. There were dirty dishes around. Even though there were almost no customers, we struggled to find a table that would be clean. Ordering food was not easy. The staff was not sure if the kitchen can cook what we ordered. Fortunately, we received what we ordered in no time. Overall, a sub-par pub experience

So nice! Great spot to have dinner at, and from what we've seen, also perfect for wedding receptions! We had a really yummy dinner on our last day of holidays and weren't disappointed! We had a very good dinner here on Friday evening. The restaurant was almost full but they managed to fit us in. The view from the restaurant is pretty good as you overlook the marina. The food we had was quite outstanding. Very unexpectedly so. The salt n pepper squid was fantastic. 5/5 The pork cutlet was so good. Never bothered ordering pork cutlet before but so so glad I did as it was freakin awesome. 5/5 My wife had the steak which was a solid 5/5. Medium rare with a slight char. The jus was amazing. 5/5 My daughter’s kid’s burger was actually really good too. Large enough portion for an adult. Very good burger and good chips too. 4/5 My crème brûlée was ridiculously good. Wow. 5/5 Great staff and great food in a great place. Nicely done.

Great spot for coffee and getting work done. They have a dedicated area with power outlets, perfect for remote work. Super comfortable and an ideal solution for working travelers. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming!

Came here for a coffee on 27/9 whilst visiting Port Macquarie. I found a coffee shop with reasonable prices that offers ground cinnamon so I was able to have my favourite flat white with cinnamon. I also had a custard filled cinnamon donut once of the nicest I’ve ever had. Connor made me feel so welcomed and such a relaxing atmosphere. I will be back.

Chipotle poached eggs were delicious! Think it’s the first time I’ve had broccolini for breakfast….. but perfectly cooked and worked so well with the dukka and pickled onions

A casual pub lunch 😋 👌. Solid food. Efficient service. A local recommended we try Settlers Inn for lunch when we asked for a pub recommendation. The first sign we were likely to get a decent feed - the car 🚗 park was pretty packed 😄. We elected to sit outdoors as the inside was crowded, loud - it is a pub after all - and we had a group of six and wanted some space. Our food was well presented, and tasted good. Nothing special - it met our expectations, if that makes sense. Comfort food. The queue for drinks got a little long a couple of times - the staff saw this and moved staff around to ensure two people were serving drinks 🍻 to keep the lines flowing ... good customer service!

Had lunch here yesterday and the food and service was outstanding. Food came out super quick even though they were very busy. Food was yummy and fresh. But I want to give a big shout out to all the wonderful staff you have working there, everyone was super friendly and helpful. Definitely coming back. Well done.

I have always rated the food from the Bistro at this pub. Most recently, I had a Surf & Turf which was absolutely delicious. I found it to be reasonably priced. The pub has a nice feeling to it and has a few good outdoor areas. I would definitely recommend a drink and dinner at this premises.

THE BEST CHICKEN SNITTY IN PORT MACQUARIE!!! Cannot recommend enough. The atmosphere is amazing, the outside covered area is cosy and friendly. The snitty isn't the only best menu option, in fact you have to keep visiting to try everything on the menu as it all great!

Steak and Guineness pie was good. Fish chips- batter was dry. Chicken Teriyaki bowl was disappointing. You could just grilled the chicken and keep it fresh, but my was dry and tasteless!

We came here for a get together following a funeral. We had a private room set up nicely. The food seemed to be a long time coming out….about 1.5hrs after we arrived.

If looking for a bagel and a coffee to start the day, highly recommend Black Market Bagel. Order your meal and you can pick your preferred bagel. A bit like subway in that regard. Great coffee and a very tasty bagel. Very friendly service also.

We had blueberry and jalapeno salmon bagel, they are really tasty and delicious. The quality of bagel is really excellent and the owner is really friendly and show us how they make a bagel. Staff is helpful and friendly

Wow—what a game changer! I accidentally stumbled across Black Market Bagels in Port Macquarie, and I'm so glad I did. I tried the jalapeño bagel with the "Beef Up" menu option, and it absolutely blew me away. The spice level was spot-on, and the combination of flavours was phenomenal—bold, balanced, and seriously satisfying. The service was just as impressive. Both ladies behind the counter were exceptional—polite, informative, and genuinely welcoming, which is a rare find these days. It made the whole experience even better. I highly recommend this place—tenfold. Whether you're a local or just passing through, do yourself a favour and drop in. I’ll definitely be back!

Excellent experience and food. 3 times I've been up at Port, hungover on a Sunday, wishing I could try these bagels. But finally, I've managed to be hungover on the Saturday and indulge in these scrumptious treats with a coffee. Can't wait for next year!

My wife found this place when we first came up to Port last November. Everytime I'm up here, I always come over to get my maple butter French Toast bagel and coffee. Always friendly and smiling, even when it's busy!! Can you guys open a shop in Geelong please!!!

I stopped by this café for a coffee and was really impressed—the coffee was excellent and definitely worth coming back for. ☕️ However, I was disappointed to find that while Wi-Fi showed up as available, the staff informed me it’s only for their use and not for customers. I think this is a bit unfair, especially in today’s world where so many people work remotely or just want to stay connected while enjoying their coffee. It would be great if they reconsidered this policy and offered Wi-Fi to customers in the future.

We decided to pack a picnic lunch and and bought fabulous, fresh antipasto...San Daniele prosciutto, Mortadella and Salami. Host Nathan gave great suggestions and he was super lovely. The shop itself is beautiful. Great gift ideas of authentic pasta sets, preserved vegetables and lots more. A must do when you're next in Port Macquarie. I know I will be going back .

Nice spot for a morning latte. On a recent visit, I was introduced to Luigi Bros for a morning coffee before off to work. Friendly staff picked up my name and my order quickly. Always got my morning cup to go, usually between 7:30 and 8:00, but it was a quaint place to sit and talk. Had a wide selection of deli foods for your needs.

Finally, a real Cappucchino! But of course, as Italians own the place. In a world where baristas have lost the art, this little gem delivers coffee with a really smooth roast, perfect temperature and a bonus in winter, you get the morning sun. They are also more reasonably priced than many others. Great cheese selection.

Needed the energy boost from coffee this morning with the unpacking. Got a mocha from Luigi Bros Deli and it was so good. The atmosphere was great as I waited for the takeaway coffee. Lots of goodies to check out. A freshly baked set of muffins just came out of the oven when I got there. So tempting. Think I’ll go back for more coffee and try some meat and cheese. Worth checking out. The coffee cups are so pretty and definitely holding onto this one (after cleaning it of course ☺️).

Person service me was very slow and had no Idea how to cut sliced ham. Asked for thin sliced which is about 1mm he gave me slices from 5mm to 8mm. Over priced bad customer service. They could employ staff that can understand what customers require. Very slow.

We went in and had a delicious breakfast today me and my partner both got the hot mess. Portions are huge and the fresh herb were delicious. Coffee was exceptional and the sweets were delightful !

This cafe is one of Port’s hidden gems. Very nice breakfast (vego roll and potato croquette) the coffee was one of the best I’ve had for a while. Great atmosphere and friendly service, overall a great experience, highly recommended.

Far out!!! Best bacon and egg burger ever! Southern Fried Bacon!!!!! It was sensational, great price and the service was amazing. Coffee was also great! We will be back next trip. We just wish we tried it sooner not on our last day as this would have been our go to breaky.

OMG hands down, the best brekkie burgers we have ever had. I had the Vegie roll, which had avo, haloumi, fried egg, tomato relish, mushroom. Just yummy, no other words. Hubby had the egg and bacon roll, the fried bacon took it to another level; genius. Would highly recommend this spot for a quick bite. Reasonably priced, lovely staff, great food, what more could you ask for?

Went for brunch on a Saturday forenoon, service was on point friendly and prompt, it was busy as you would expect 50 plus but our meals came out fairly quick lovely presentation and very tasty. Not large meals but big enough, quality over quantity without a doubt. Could not comment on the coffee unfortunately as we had already poured litres into us previously and went for the freshly squeezed juice option which was luscious. PS the coffee looked and smelt pretty good though.

I love this cafe. It has a really nice feel to it and the staff are friendly. The bacon and egg roll (add avocado and hash brown) are next level. You won’t regret it trust me! Also new menu, they have a Brekky burrito which is delicious. My only complain is the tables are too small! I brought this up with the owner (chef) about a month ago.

This cafe always has a great atmosphere, is always busy, the staff are really friendly and the food’s great. I was looking for a light, nutritious breakfast and the Blueberry Bircher Muesli with a Chai Latte was perfect! Highly recommended.

A lovely corner spot. Keeping it simple on a Sunday morning, I had an egg and ham croissant with a large latte with a caramel shot. The servers were the friendliest, the croissant was tasty and delivered quickly (the cafe was 90% full), and the coffee was spot on. Nice job.

If wasn't an open and airy space right on the corner, we would've walked right past, but as inviting as Frankie's is, the food and coffee were so 'middle-of-the-road', that you'd be much better off poking around the next few streets for a breakfast place that 'gets it'. Canned Hollandaise, bland corn fritters, weak coffee. It's just not going on the Top 10 list anytime soon (or at all).

Yummy fruit toast unlike anything I've had before,was toasted a bit too long though,the mango macadamia smoothie was the 2nd negative,didn't like the flavour at all. The 1st negative was the customer service from the guy who took our order,in no way friendly to us at all. On a better note,My partner's burger was one of the best he's ever had.

A wonderful cafe near the beach with a fleshed out menu and great staff, outdoor seating only, so it can get cold during those winter days there are blankets on offer though if required. Great food and coffee.

We’ve been in Port Macquarie three days and this is the first really top shelf cafe we’ve found. Beautifully presented food tastes fresh, delicious great people excellent service you can’t go wrong here. Not to mention the best thick shakes we found this side of the border plenty of ice cream and served cold in the tin - genuine old school.

This was a lucky find for us, we spotted the parasols from the lighthouse and decided to drive down the hill for breakfast. This is obviously a popular spot with locals as the place was pumping. The service was quick and the food was lovely. We had the Halloumi burger and the banana bread, both were very tasty. We will definitely be back next time we are in Port, a great find and highly recommended.

I was originally going to Sandbox on the beach, but seeing how busy it was I went further afield, and I was not disappointed. I had a really sumptuous BLT here, with good quality bacon, and very carefully prepared and presented. I also had an excellent Brownie which had, to me, a unique texture, not ‘gooey’, and also not at all dry, but somewhere in the middle. Not too sweet, in a word, perfect! The coffee was also very good, I wouldn’t say it blew me away, but nonetheless, it was great. The service was wonderful, very friendly. I say inside and felt very comfortable with a number of nice cushions and decently sized table (unlike some cafes which squeeze you in!). Thank you! :)

Great location and tasty menu for breakfast or brunch/lunch. Why are your muffins so good? It is out go to when at Flynns Beach. Puppy friendly too. Coffee is hot and strong. Acai bowls on point as are their egg dishes. Could not recommend more.

We really enjoyed our lunch at Roam. The battered snapper FnCs were lovely but my Kale smoked salmon ceaser salad with avo was amazing. A brilliant twist on a ceaser salad. And the poached egg was cooked perfectly!

I went to Roam for breakfast earlier this week and I highly recommend this cafe. I sat at a table in the sun, there were cushions and blankets available to add some extra comfort for a chilled winter morning. I was served by a very friendly waitress who took my order for the breakfast burger. Unfortunately they had had a run on the hash browns and had none left but I was offered halloumi to replace the aforementioned hash browns and this is where my cafe experience went next level!! I highly recommend ordering the Brekky burger with halloumi - it was sensational!! The “meat” of the burger was a succulent mushroom, there was ample avocado and delicious pesto all served on a tasty milk bun. Vavavoom!! It was SO good!!! The coffee was also excellent. I really wish that I took a photo of the burger to show you but I was too lost in the experience of this taste sensation. The staff were all lovely, the cafe is very well decorated in chic and funky fashion. And it’s right across from the beach. What more counts you want!!! I give it 10 stars. 🌟

Best steak sandwich I’ve ever had. I dream about it every weekend. Sometimes service can be a bit shit tho and you have to ask them where the order is and it’s been sitting there for the longest time. lol that happened once and I’m not over it obvs

Came and had breakfast both mornings on our weekend away, the food was incredible and coffee was the best we've had. It's in a great spot, nice and sunny in the mornings, and the staff were lovely and very friendly. We'll definitely be coming back when in Port.
