CityCenterDC is a vibrant and modern shopping center in the heart of downtown, offering high-end retailers, upscale dining options, and even a luxury hotel. The Palmer Alley is a bustling hub filled with shopping opportunities and exciting events. It's also home to courtyard-facing restaurants that provide an ideal setting for a romantic evening out. From classic Mediterranean cuisine at Fig & Olive to the bistro vibes at DBGB Kitchen & Bar, there's something for every palate.
such a nice vibe! The area is lively and modern, with plenty of shops, restaurants, and open spaces to enjoy. It’s a great place to walk around, soak in the atmosphere, and just enjoy the city energy.

The Christmas decorations are really nice however all the stores are rich people stuff. If you have money to burn on stuff like this then it’s right up your alley… LITERALLY! But if not, based on the Christmas decorations and pictures I have seen I would only recommend coming down here to see how they decorate for different seasons.

This area is a new gem next to the port and lots lots of restaurants and many visitors. If you have a flexible-schedule afternoon, please come enjoying the urban atmosphere and bay-sighted views. My big surprise was the seafood at the very end road, many steamed/cooked or raw seafood, you can eat there or to go, the price is for sure satisfying everyone 😁 I ordered jumbo shrimps and two soups back to hotel, oh man~ that was really a good dinner !
Sandy L — Google review
It was my family's first time in the area. We were just looking for some places to shop and came upon this location. It was great! Lots of nice stores. You definitely can get lots of walking in and we did. Enjoyed the surroundings.

CityCenterDC gives you that upscale, modern D.C. energy clean, stylish, and filled with high-end spots to explore. Great for walking, people-watching, and catching a vibe, especially at night when the lights hit just right. Could use a few more affordable options for balance, but overall it’s a solid mix of class and culture. #LouieKsUp #CityVibes #RealReviews

Gallery Place is a bustling complex in Washington D.C. that has been around since 1976. It's not just a mall, but also a popular spot due to its proximity to the Capital One Arena and the nearby stadiums. The area offers an array of national retailers, dining options, a movie theater, and even a bowling alley for visitors to enjoy.
Wonderful gift shop. Prices are in reasonable price. Books, Toat Bags, Coffee cups, managnet's, Hot-Cold cups, book marks and other nice souvenirs and buy.
Timisha D — Google review
Are you people going into a wormhole and being transported to someplace that doesn’t exist. These reviews do not reflect the Gallery Place I visited. THERES NOTHING HERE??? The “mall” is a big empty room with three floors of gated off emptiness and a movie theatre. The bowling alley is closed down, can’t even peek through the glass. I say don’t waste your time but if you wanna be scared out of your wits go ahead and walk the street. Good luck!

Gallery Place Shopping Centre is a vibrant and modern spot for shopping, dining, and entertainment. The variety of stores is impressive — from trendy fashion outlets to unique local shops. The food court offers plenty of choices, and the atmosphere is lively without feeling too crowded. I especially liked how clean and well-maintained the place is. It’s a perfect weekend hangout spot with friends or family. The nearby cinema is a great bonus too. Definitely worth visiting.

Great place, me and the wife sneak off during the week, and its so peaceful. P.S. they will validate your parking if you ask, they won't tell you tho. Oh power reclining chairs too!

Gallery Place brings energy and variety from food to entertainment, it’s always something happening. Great location if you like movement, music, and people from all walks of life. Parking and crowd flow can be a little hectic, but overall, it’s D.C. energy at its finest. #LouieKsUp #RealReviews #GalleryPlaceDC

Nice options. Tesla dealer nearby. 2 or 3 good Chinese restaurants. One sit-down Cuban restaurant may or may not be overpriced. Chinese Friendship archway sets the tone. And the Caps play at the arena. GP metro is sketchy, so stay alert.

Tanger Outlets National Harbor is a shopping destination that offers a wide range of brand-name and designer outlet stores. With 88 high-end retail stores, visitors can enjoy a curated style spree featuring top brands such as Elie Tahari, Coach, Theory, Michael Kors, Under Armour, Nike, H&M, Hugo Boss and Nautica. Located along the National Harbor waterfront, the outlets provide not only great shopping opportunities but also access to various events and rides in the area.
On a snowy day, I visited Tanger Outlets at National Harbor, and it felt like stepping into a winter wonderland of shopping bliss. The snow gently falling around the beautifully designed outlet added a magical touch to an already fantastic experience. What truly stood out was the serenity of the place. Despite the chilly weather, it was incredibly peaceful, offering a perfect blend of relaxation and excitement. The array of brands at Tanger Outlets is impressive, to say the least. From high-end fashion to everyday essentials, there’s something for everyone. I found some incredible deals at the factory outlets, making it a shopper’s paradise. It’s not just about the discounts; it’s the quality and variety that make it a must-visit. Whether you’re looking for the latest trends or classic staples, this place has it all. What made my visit even more memorable was the atmosphere. It’s a place where you can enjoy your shopping without feeling rushed or crowded, even on a bustling weekend. The snow added a cozy vibe, making it a day to remember. For anyone looking for great deals and a peaceful shopping experience, Tanger Outlets at National Harbor is the perfect destination.

Clean and has variety of stores. Surprisingly Great discounts. The only challenge was finding some parking. I've been to many outlet stores and this one was by far the most crowded in a Sunday afternoon. There is not many places to eat within the outlets nevertheless there are some vending machines and bathrooms.
Nabil S — Google review
Nice variety of stores with prices that are so so decent. You do have to pay attention because some of these stores charge full price and not outlet prices like H&M. Michael Kors always great prices, American Eagle, you have to watch some items, Nike has good deals and Adidas.
Chrystine — Google review
Outdated outlet, but there is a great choice of brands to select from. It opens at 10 am, there are some vending machines available, restrooms as well as benches to rest while visiting all those shops. There are not many options available for lunch, but it's fine. It has a big parking lot and it's accessible by bus too. We managed to find some nice promotions.
Andreea O — Google review
We visit Tanger Outlets about once a month, and it’s always a fun shopping trip. 🛍️ The selection of brands is solid—nothing super high-end, but plenty of popular mid-range and everyday names like Calvin Klein, Michael Kors, Carter’s for kids, Nike, Gap, H&M, and even an Estée Lauder outlet with many of its beauty brands. Our go-to stops are Calvin Klein, Express Factory, and Carter’s. The discounts are much better than what you’d find at regular mall stores like Tysons, though keep in mind most items are last season’s styles rather than the latest collections. Some stores also offer military discounts, which is a nice bonus. The outlet is set up in an open-air, village-style layout. On a nice day, it’s a pleasant place to walk around, but in bad weather (rain, cold) it’s not as convenient. There’s a food court with decent variety, plus Starbucks, and the restrooms are clean and family-friendly with changing tables—super helpful if you’re visiting with kids. Overall, it’s a great spot to score deals on everyday clothes and shoes, with plenty of popular brands to choose from. Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for good discounts and don’t mind shopping last season’s finds.
Yan Y — Google review
Low stress shopping! Very convenient at off hours. Get what you need, get in, get out. Clean and safe, with real security. Bonus: cake in a jar vending machine next to Bath & Body Works!
Emma S — Google review
Great Tanger outlet had a lot of stores that I like to go visit. I was able to get to a puma store. They are not everywhere so this was great that they had this store.. I found everything I pretty much need it and will return here again to shop.

Flea & Street Markets
Eastern Market, established in 1873, is a lively marketplace situated in the heart of Capitol Hill. It offers a diverse range of products including fresh produce, handmade crafts, and prepared foods. The market is divided into two sections: the South Hall Market showcases an array of farm-fresh products and deli delights while the North Hall Events Space hosts various community events throughout the year.
Visit this market for a taste of DC. The vendors, many of whom have been there for decades, offer a variety of fresh homemade items. The fish and grits breakfast at Market lunch along with their blueberry pancakes is one of the best breakfasts in town. We ordered lunch today and it was as good as ever! The pictures tell a story of neighborhood and a lot of yummy deliciousness.

Now that it's been about 2 years that we're living on the East Coast in which time we've visited the 'Eastern Market' in DC a few times. It's about time to post my review 🤔 Last Tuesday was a great time to visit as it was not too busy and I was able to take more photos without too many people in cluttering my frame. This market is great with a nice selection of vendors from baked goods, produce, meat, fish and flowers to snacks and quick meals. There's even a service to sharpen your kitchen knives - so many useful things all in one place. I was impressed with the variety of the selection of meats and cuts offered which ranged across a wide quality spectrum. * The indoor market is between 8 am - 6 pm Tuesday to Saturday Sunday 8 am - 5 pm * Outdoor Market Saturday & Sunday 9 am - 4 pm Tuesday 12 pm - 4 pm Monday - CLOSED The outdoor market on weekends offers local farm-fresh produce and handmade arts & crafts. The Eastern Market has been around for over 136 years. It's a great place to visit and connect with the community, neighbors, families and bring guests from out of town to spend several hours. It's a true gem in Washington DC that's worth stopping by.

had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at Eastern Market in DC, and I was truly impressed by the venue. The beautiful string lights created such a warm and magical atmosphere, perfect for capturing stunning and romantic moments throughout the evening. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable for everyone involved. Plus, the location was so convenient, easily accessible for guests and vendors alike. Overall, Eastern Market offers a charming and welcoming setting that’s perfect for couples looking for a memorable and effortlessly beautiful wedding day. Photos by: @jessicacassandrophotography

Eastern Market is a vibrant, sensory-rich experience that feels like the heartbeat of the community. From the moment you arrive, you’re greeted with the sound of live music—like the soulful guitarist playing on the corner—and the smell of fresh baked sourdough and produce. The farmers market is a treasure trove of color and flavor. Heirloom tomatoes, blackberries, sweet corn, carrots, and apples overflow from bins like edible art. Whether you’re shopping for ingredients or just soaking it all in, it’s a feast for the eyes. The vendors are friendly, and the variety is impressive—from fresh fruits and veggies to homemade soaps and artisanal breads. The surrounding area is full of energy too—shaded café patios, families and friends strolling by, and enough local flavor to make every visit unique. It’s easy to spend hours just wandering, people-watching, and tasting what the local vendors have to offer. If you’re in D.C. and want to spend a weekend morning somewhere authentic, flavorful, and full of character, Eastern Market is a must
Scott G — Google review
Great atmosphere on the weekend with lots of different vendors selling handmade, vintage, and cultural imports. The farmers’ market stalls are full of organic and regionally grown and produced foods. I love the micro greens booth, homemade pickles stall, bread lady, and the açaí bowls! The pottery studio is open for sales and sometimes the students have special sales! There is amazing live jazz music on the corner of C Street. The whole area is blocked off for foot traffic. Lots of dogs on leash and families come out on the weekends. Behind Eastern Market, you will find food and beverage tents with everything from empanadas to Korean bites. The market building is also open with permanent vendors such as butchers, florists, green grocers, and hot food stands. It’s a perfect place to spend your Saturday or Sunday! I never miss a weekend when I’m in town!

Eastern Market: The Historic and Cultural Heart of Capitol Hill History and Architecture Eastern Market is where history, architecture, culture, and community life come together. From its opening in 1873, through its expansion in 1908, the devastating fire of 2007, and its triumphant reopening in 2009, it has remained the historic and cultural heart of Capitol Hill. For both residents and visitors, Eastern Market is an essential stop to experience the authentic spirit of Washington, DC. Opened in 1873 and designed by German-born architect Adolf Cluss, Eastern Market is one of Washington, DC’s most enduring landmarks. With its Italianate brick façade, arched windows, and functional layout, it was conceived as a modern public market that combined both utility and elegance. In 1908, architect Snowden Ashford expanded the market with the Center Hall and North Hall, establishing the market as a focal point of the Capitol Hill community. A defining moment in its history occurred on April 30, 2007, when a devastating fire destroyed much of the South Hall. Despite the damage, vendors continued operating in a temporary market nearby. Following an extensive restoration effort, Eastern Market reopened in 2009, fully restored and recognized for excellence in historic preservation and design. Products and Culture Eastern Market is more than a place to shop; it is a thriving cultural hub where flavors, traditions, and creativity converge. Inside the South Hall: fresh meats, seafood, cheeses, baked goods, flowers, and gourmet specialties. Weekend outdoor market: local farmers, antiques, arts and crafts, with over 100 exhibitors representing a wide variety of cultures. Cultural events: live music, art shows, and seasonal festivals, which keep the market at the heart of community life. Culinary Highlights One of the best-known spots inside the market is Market Lunch, famous for its crab cake sandwich and blueberry pancakes. Visitors can also enjoy artisan breads, charcuterie, cheeses, and homemade desserts. Tip: although most vendors accept cards, some still prefer cash. Location and Access Address: 225 7th Street SE, Washington, DC. Metro: Eastern Market Station (Blue, Orange, and Silver Lines), one block from the market. Bus: Several Metrobus routes, including 30N, 30S, and 32, stop nearby. Bike: Multiple Capital Bikeshare stations are located around the area. Car: Limited street parking with meters and a few small private lots; weekends are busy, so arriving early is recommended. Hours of Operation South Hall (indoor market): Tuesday to Saturday: 7 a.m. – 6/7 p.m. Sunday: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Farmers’ market and arts & crafts (outdoors): weekends, from morning through mid-afternoon. Tip: Arrive early on Saturdays for the freshest produce, or visit on Sundays for a lively cultural atmosphere. Visiting Tips Go early on Saturdays if your priority is fresh food. Sundays are perfect for music, art, and community gatherings. Bring a reusable shopping bag. Check the official calendar of events before your visit. Explore Capitol Hill’s cafés, bookstores, and restaurants within walking distance. I rate it 4 because I think the place could be better and more organized. I think it's a historical gem and it's a bit abandoned.

Someone needs to wake this place up and offer something special besides history. Parking was bad, food was weak and expensive. Guys business is selling you $2 food items for $8, or 2 for $15. Wish they had other things for sale, like allow garage sales or something.

Customers have praised the store for its amazing prices on genuine quality clothing and a wide range of items from jeans to formal wear. The staff has been described as friendly and skilled, providing excellent customer service. While some find the store slightly congested at times due to the abundance of merchandise, others appreciate its fantastic selection of practical items at great prices.
It's always hit and miss at Marshalls, but I didn't find anything I was looking for. The long lines discouraged me from making any purchases. Update; I decided to visit the Saturday before Christmas, and I did find a couple of last-minute gifts and some good deals on a few things for me. I appreciated that they had almost all of the registers open, so the long line moved pretty quickly.

I recently visited this Marshall's, and it was a decent experience overall. The store is open daily from 9:30 AM to 9:30 PM, except on Sundays when they close at 8 PM. The layout is a bit cluttered with merchandise, but they carry a wide variety of items, so you’ll likely find what you’re looking for. The prices are consistent with other Marshall's locations, offering good deals on clothing, home goods, and more. While the staff wasn’t overly friendly, they were all working and seemed to be staying on top of things, rather than slacking off. It’s clear they’re focused on getting things done. Overall, a solid spot for bargain shopping, though the store could benefit from a bit more organization.

The store and employees are wondering. The security guards made me feel uncomfortable. They followed me around the store the whole time I was there. I have a job and I have money so idk what the problem was. I wasn't dressed my best but that really shouldn't matter. The police/security guard said something some smart remarks to my daughter as we left out after I made my purchase. I am black and it's sad that black men treat black women as such.

I love this location it’s stocked very well, organized and clean HOWEVER!!!! Yesterday, I had a bad experience with the heavy set guy at the counter and he tricked me into getting a Marshall’s credit card saying when I signed up I would get 10% then after I signed up I said “I thought I was getting a discount” he said no that’s if you got approved. That’s just RIDICULOUS!! You don’t do that to people and that ish affects your dang credit. Watch out for them type pushy people when you check out.

The behavior of your employee Cecilia, who is called a coordinator, is beyond criticism. At the checkout, she found that 2 labels were not properly placed, which is understandable, it is still a large store, but this is not my problem in general, she said that she could not sell me the products, which we agreed that I would not buy them. Leaving the store, as I am already in the subway, I see that she still marked one product for me, but did not give it to me, which I consider extremely unacceptable. I paid to get out of the subway, went back and said that she had messed up again and at least asked her if she would apologize and she mocked and ironically apologized, which is extremely unprofessional. I also lost my money for the subway, because because of her I had to go back to the store. You put a person as a coordinator who can't say a single word in English except thank you, when I asked her if I could speak to a manager she told me that she was a manager, she kept saying thank you and that she had to check everything, which is true and I understand, but still this woman marks things that I didn't receive and didn't even apologize properly. I think you should replace this woman because she is definitely not for this position. When I have a problem in the store, I expect to speak to someone who knows the language and can explain what the problem is, and when they make a mistake, to apologize, not to make the customer feel uncomfortable.

This Marshall's is one of the worst I"ve been to. They have good things at times, but they also have a lot of defective items on the sales floor so check your items carefully before purchasing. I wanted to buy two identical lamps (see picture below). One of the lamps should have never been on the floor as the part that holds the lamp shade was widened, so it couldn't hold the shade and the filial was missing. When I picked it up the lamp shade fell off. I checked the one I had carefully, or so I thought, but when I got it home and was ready to use it, I noticed the turn knob was missing. I have never had a problem with the merchandise I've bought at other Marahall's, but I have had to return defective, broken, or items missing from a set more than once to the Marshall's in Columbia Heights. Further, this visit there were items on the shelf that had no price tags. I let someone know about that and the employee found one out of the dozen identical items that were on the shelf with a price tag on it, then took it from me so she could make tags for the others. She asked me to wait until she returned with all the new tags, then I could but one. She was gone for quite a while, so I did not wait nor did I buy that item. The appropriate response would have been to apologize for the inconvenience, ask whether I minded continue shopping while she got the items tagged, and give me an approximate time to check back to grab the item. Very poor customer service, but not surprising at the Columbia Heights Marshall's. Moreover, the store is often messy and really cramped, so when I do go there, I am focused and try to get in and out as quickly as I can, because it is rarely a good shopping experience at this place.

I am in the wheelchair so when I went there it was a little cramped in the owls. However, I had great customer service and the staff was very accommodating. Also, there was great selection of things

Lady at the counter wasted 10 minutes of my time looking up the price and asking her coworkers about of an item that ALREADY had a price tag on it -- simply because she believed I was getting too good a deal on it. Otherwise a good trip though. I did get an awesome deal, afterall :)

The Chevy Chase Pavilion is a large shopping mall with big-name retailers and a hotel nearby. It is easily accessible by the Metro (Red Line) and has fashion retail outlets as well as dining options.
Safe, connected and plenty of restaurants to hangout here.

This place is a letdown, and I am taking this as a learning lesson to look at the newest reviews before wasting a drive here. I only saw a cheesecake factory and a hotel - that's it. The place was essentially a ghost town/ dead mall despite being a large building, and the public restrooms were locked at 10 PM for security reasons. The only pro to this whole experience was that the parking fee was reasonable.
Michelle E — Google review
Security was unreasonably rude and unwelcoming. Current renovations in progress with fancy new walls and modern construction won't do much if the people helping run the place are driving away all the potential customers. With a first impression like that, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone until these fellow "adults" get their act together.

Honestly, this community is wonderful. We have so much money, but we need a place where people can eat shop and entertain their looking for vendors for the place to revitalize the place for a bright shops and location they’re looking they want to revitalize it my neighbor, who is a real estate agent has told me that they’re looking so Think about it. We really would like our mall to be back where it was an updated to modern day and age.

Carpe Librum just opened a location here! Head down the escalators to the basement level and it's to the left. You can't miss it! It's a small location and it looks temporary, but the staff person said they will be there indefinitely at least for a little while. Great selection of books here too!

Attached with the Friendship Heights Metro Station, this place is a combination several stores like Forever 21, Old Navy and a Cheese Factory. Unlike most major shopping malls, this place doesn’t seem very crowded. There is a nice hotel on the top. Outside the Pavilion, there are several other big stores. I loved the comfortable seating area by the Starbucks inside the Pavilion.

Union Station is a magnificent building reminiscent of New York City's Grand Central Station. Its interior features stunning architecture with high arched ceilings and tiled flooring, while outside, Union Station Plaza showcases the grand exterior and the Christopher Columbus Memorial Fountain. The subway system in Washington also boasts interesting concrete architecture throughout. East of Union Station, the H Street NE corridor offers a lively late-night scene with various entertainment venues and dining options.
The architecture of this railroad station makes it truly an amazing landmark. The towering arched golden ceilings of the main hall at the entrance are breathtaking! They look especially magnificent combined with the stained glass window at sunset or under a bright blue sky. The grandeur and the blue-yellow-golden colors create something incredible. My husband and I traveled from Philadelphia on the Amtrak high-speed train in just 2 hours. Tickets cost $15 per person to Washington and $10 per person back, which is very cheap. Naturally, we bought the tickets online in advance at that price.

Clean, well lit, easy to navigate train station. Beautiful main hall. Capitol Building dome visible from front entry. Numerous food options. Amtrak ticketed passenger waiting room. Solid visible police presence (station feels safe). Well organized boarding process. Amtrak employee running the desk at waiting area was a joy. Staffing overall was helpful and friendly. Great overall experience.

One of the big fat size station, rarely to find a metro station of this kind. Huge atrium with sculptures, stunning architecture, gold leafing and elegant marble cladding. It has multiple levels, with number of shops and cafeteria. This may be largest size of junction for various metro routes. It feels like a mid size Airport with even small conveyor belt for luggage. One must visit the station as a sight seeing, even though travelling by air.
Dharmesh D — Google review
Union station is a great way to enter DC. I highly recommend taking MARC or Amtrak here. The architecture is stunning and the station seemed clean and pretty easy to navigate. It is located near the Capitol building and you can connect directly to the DC metro red line to go throughout the city…
Miguel S — Google review
The security staff at this station are rude and unfriendly to travelers. They are apathetic if you ask them for directions or assistance with other matters. They seem bitter and unwilling to work. A few Amtrak employees, however, greeted us kindly and were willing to help. The facilities are clean and well-lit. Bathrooms are accessible on several floors. There are fast food restaurants like McDonald's, Chick-fil-A, and Starbucks. If you travel first class, you have access to a private room, that offers free snacks and drinks. I recommend using the Amtrak app to check the current arrival and departure times of trains. Be careful; it's common for trains to be delayed, so you could miss your next connection. Plan to arrive six hours early. We arrived 5.5 hours late and missed our car rental.
Manuel M — Google review
A trip via Amtrak from DC to Philly is what brought us here. What a beautiful train station this is! Hands down the most gorgeous of them all, outside and in. From the exterior, it looks like a government building or museum, especially being in DC. Step foot inside, and that main entry room will wow anyone with its high ceilings and grandness. There are a bunch of shops and restaurants within to satisfy almost everyone. Upon arriving, we were met with a departure sign message of "delayed." So, we stood in line to speak to an agent. The female associate we got was as helpful as she could be, especially not knowing why or how long the train coming in was delayed for. She gave us some options but we ended up just waiting for our original train which wasn't delayed for very long. The boarding gate waiting areas have a total opposite feel of the majestic entry area. Older decor, cramped, with not much seating. An Amtrak employee did keep us abreast of our train's ETA which was good of them to do. The train platform was clean, with a helpful employee guiding boarding passengers. FACT: Union Station is Amtrak's home base.

Costco Wholesale is a members-only warehouse offering a wide range of products, from bulk groceries to electronics. The store provides food in large wholesale quantities, allowing customers to save money. The sheer size of the boxes and the variety of items make it an incredible shopping experience. While parking can be challenging at some locations, the store itself offers a great selection and layout. Costco Wholesale is known for its global reputation as a chain with numerous storefronts worldwide.
As a consumer, if purchasing in bulk is your thing, than look no further than Costco! For home owner's, it's almost a MUST! For singles, interested in saving money by splitting the purchases with a friend, it's an additional savings and for everyone else in-between who wants to save money, Costco has it for less by the bulk! Their easy return policy makes your purchases almost guaranteed. Their Kirkland brands are in most cases better quality than the name brands and their inexpensive membership fees, generally pay for themselves in savings by the second or third trip! You just cannot go wrong with Costco! From, medications, toiletrees, household goods, food, tools, appliances and even vacations, Costco has it and at the best prices! Where else can you buy a giant hotdog and a soda for $1.50? If you are still on the fence about joining Costco, chances are, you've already lost money by wasting time! Take that first step! You'll be glad you did!

I shop here regularly, both as a club member and a delivery shopper. This store has some really great employees. Keisha, Randell, Juan, Ms. Grey, Nhi, John, Roland, Van, Monica, Leonarda, Romina, Celeste, Dung Tran, Kofi, Vincent, Ediberto, Han, and Hong are just a few of their great employees. Very friendly people and they are always very helpful. Searching a warehouse for hard to find items with their help and checking out with such kind and always upbeat people makes this a good Costco in the DMV. Where this store falls short is in that they only offer about 10-12 large carts for the entire property. Other Costcos in the DMV easily have 30 or more but this store has a very limited number and so you may have to wander the parking lots for a while searching for one to use before you enter if you have more than a few large items to buy. This seems an easy fix but the problem remains. Also, for Instacart and Uber shoppers, this is the only store in the DMV that makes Instacart and Uber shoppers use just two dedicated checkout lines. This leads to excessively long checkout times. Compounding this problem is that regular club members may also checkout in these lines, making checkouts for delivery people that much longer. Even though delivery shoppers are making purchases on behalf of club members, they are required to spend more time checking out for their club members as this bottle neck creates havoc on busier days. Why they do not do as literally every other store in the DMV and allow delivery checkouts in every line or just simply create dedicated delivery only lines I do not know but I do know it would better service both the delivery shopper and the club member they shop for if they did. All in all, I enjoy shopping here, the staff is great, but the supply of carts and the checkout policies could be better. If you are a delivery shopper, I would recommend Veirs Mill as they always have a ton of large carts and you can checkout in whatever line you find shortest.

I really like this Costco location. It’s clean, organized, and usually well stocked. The staff are friendly and helpful, which makes a big difference, especially when it gets busy. Parking is decent, and checkout lines move pretty quickly. Overall, solid experience every time I shop here.

No free parking. $6 parking fee. I show up at 7 pm, and they are no longer giving out samples. I went for a rotisserie chicken, and the counter was empty. I asked the employee behind the counter, and he said they were sold out. It was 7 pm. They close at 8:30 pm. 1 hr 30 mins left to close, and they were no longer making or putting out any more chicken. The store is dirty and needs better maintenance. Restrooms are filthy. The employees checking receipts at the exit go through your cart and receipt.
Sam C — Google review
Great Costco, absolutely the worst parking for its kind in the entire DMV. Who thought this type of layout was a good idea? The parking funnels you in one direction basically (despite what some room temperature IQ drivers may believe you cannot go the opposite way or you'll cause traffic snarls and honking) and if you don't find a spot before you reach the exit lane, you're forced to leave the lot and try your luck again. Its absolutely horrendous. The Costco itself is great and I've never had a bad experience shopping there, but man the parking is a nightmare and its the worst during the holidays; the lines to get into the lot stretch outside onto S Fern.
Daumantas R — Google review
Very rude staff! I was turned away at the door 10 minutes before the morning change from executive members to every day members. I was in a hurry due to work, and tried to explain the situation, and they just rudely patronized me. The store was clearly empty or at 10% capcity. Come on, all this for being 10 minutes early. What am I paying this membership for? To be treated like I'm in kindergarten? Ruined my experience, have no desire to return to this location for a long time.
AlthewizardofOz — Google review
Big enough Costco that somehow manages to fit home appliances, mattresses and other homeware with groceries and dry bulk, in addition to clothing. Not all staff are helpful, some are very short with you. But generally easy to find things. Some of the staples disappear seasonally.

The Crystal City metro stop will bring you to an underground shopping experience featuring boutiques, eateries, restaurants, specialty shops, a sushi bar, jewelry stores and more. During the holidays, the Christmas spirit is everywhere. You can shop and feel safe, stroll the areas and enjoy the moment. At the intersection you can go to either the Marriott Crystal City or the Marriott Gateway. There are public bathrooms in a few locations, public areas to sit or dine. You also can access the shops from the street level by entering at The Landing. Street or garage parking is available.

A good selection of shops and restaurants adjacent to a DC Metro station. Close to a lot of hotels, and Washington National Airport. Although the Crystal City Shops have been around for quite some time, it seems that it continually is working to remain relevant in a way that is not typical of a shopping mall. For example, there are dedicated spaces to support local artists, and a community electronic/craft/making workshop. Seems innovative.

Terrible Customer Service at Best Buy – Manager Christopher I’ve been a loyal Best Buy customer for over a decade, but today’s experience left me completely disappointed. I drove 40 minutes in the snow to pick up an LG TV that was advertised as being in “good condition.” Upon arrival, I found the TV literally falling apart – the back panel was detaching from the rest of the TV. On top of that, it was missing basic items like the remote, power cord, and stand. While missing accessories wasn’t a huge deal, the fact that the TV was falling apart was unacceptable. To make things worse, the TV was thrown into a box without proper packaging or styrofoam, as if it were a pizza in a box, and the Geek Squad called this “good condition.” I explained all of this to the manager, Christopher, who admitted the TV was in poor condition but refused to offer any resolution. No store credit, no discount on a replacement, nothing. Instead, he arrogantly said he’d check with the Geek Squad, only to come back and dismiss my concerns completely. Despite admitting the product was defective, he flat-out refused to help me get a decent TV or compensate for the inconvenience. This is unacceptable. I was assured by customer service that “good condition” means almost like new – maybe a small dent or missing remote. But this TV was nowhere close to that description, and I feel completely misled. I’ve had similar issues in the past, and previous managers resolved them professionally, keeping me happy as a customer. However, Christopher’s handling of this situation was terrible and unprofessional. I’ve attached a photo to show the condition of the TV I received. Best Buy needs to seriously re-evaluate how their managers like Christopher treat loyal customers and ensure the Geek Squad properly inspects products labeled as “good condition.” I expected better, and this experience was extremely disappointing.

They told me to come here and he again he told me it’s not possible on the end man he’s very rude and he’s supposed to be customer service. He think he’s police giving the orders which is so ridiculous if you’re working customer service. He should not be allowed to work with customers ever again.

I told him it's in my car I came an hour ago… he didn’t let me finish and he replied (I DON’T CARE WHO THE HELL ARE YOU OR PTHER THING I NEED TO SEE YOUR ID TO GIVE YOU THE ORDER) I felt so bad I wanted to cry but I went to my car to get my identification, asking God that he would not serve me again. I purchased a lifetime warranty on the glass screen protector for my iPhone and have used it several times at this store. Today I go to the counter where I normally have had the glass taken off and replaced free of charge. A gentleman saw me waiting for about 5-6 minutes and I told him what I was there to accomplish. He handed me the box with the glass for my specific phone and directed me to customer service. I was asked by a lady in customer service to take off glass phone screen myself and after I cut myself on the shattered glass she then extended her hand and took it off with her nails in about 3 seconds. She then hands me the box and I asked her you’re not going to put it on? She informed me Best Buy has changed their policy and there’s a new $7.99 service fee for putting the glass screen on. Why would she ask me to remove my broken screen first and then just hand me the box? Subpar communication at best. This store has sadly gone downhill and it’s no wonder they’re closing stores nationwide. Get T-Mobile Care or other coverage through your mobile provider. Not worth it.

Pros: easy to get to, connected to the metro station so you don’t even have to go outside in hot or rainy weather. Shows all the first run movies. Cons: really in need of a renovation to bring the facilities in line with the newer theaters (better seats, expanded food and drink options , assigned seating, etc).

I'm very grateful to them for dealing with those scammers who were gypsies posing as people in need. They were harassing people for money but the shopping center did a great job stopping it. I'm always happy to come here and I feel safe.

CVS is conveniently located. The restaurants and Deli have great food, although the service and taste of certain items were not to my liking.

LOVE Wagshal's & it's been a favorite family destination for over 50 years. My only complaint or observation is that their tiny space was finally expanded but it needed a professional overhaul. The space is not efficient. There's no flow. But we will continue to squeeze in there because we love the food & the market offerings !!!
Patty C — Google review
Stopped in for a @VOLTA charge and was happy to have Wagshalls and CVS right there

Very expensive gas at the Mobile here but great deli and butcher called Wagshall's. The CVS is a bit old but the staff are great. The parking lot is often very busy but usually you can find a spot. There is no charge for parking which is nice.
Liz T — Google review
I'm here at least once a week to shop at Wagshals. Their stock is usually high quality but it is definitely not a supermarket. I love their baguettes, key lime pies, and other baked goods but they also have liquor, a deli, and a nice selection of produce and cheeses.

This small shopping center is a great place to stop for a good cup of coffee . Sense of Place cafe is very good Bricks Pizza is tempting with Two for one pizza on Tuesday!

Great service. Decent food at a decent price. Had a great server and more than passable piece of meat. What more can you really ask for? Potatoes have always been a weak point as far as Outback is concerned in my book. Don't really know what it is about their baked potatoes, but they are just underwhelming to me. The salad was superb as always. Love their croutons. The restaurant was clean and so were the restrooms. So all in all a very positive experience in a nice location.

Great food, fantastic steaks, j uh st melt in your mouth, friendly staff. Little pricey, taste was worth it. Kitchen help didn't want to turn their radio down, played it so loud, couldn't carry on a conversation in the Dining area.

I order online and my order was not prepared right. I just wanted to let you know. You a faster to order person. With a better personal. I waited a extra 20 minutes. My order was not at 5:30pm. Also my pork medallions were prepared wrong, I asked for no sauce on my pork medallions and they put sauce on them.

I travel here for work and this is a well run store. Nice bartenders, reasonable food and drink prices.

Went here for outback which was just ok. Had good service tho. There is also a really good Thai restaurant on site called Crystal Thai. That may have been the better choice this evening. Plenty of parking for the amount of businesses on site.

Our service was wonderful. Good luck to the young lady with a baby on the way. Hadn't been there in a few years and the food portions were a little bit smaller than I had previously remembered.

CVS is a well-known drugstore chain offering a wide range of health and beauty products, as well as some grocery and household items. With locations in Washington D.C. and Virginia, this popular convenience store also provides medicinal products. Recently opened in the Rosslyn-Ballston corridor, it has quickly become a favorite spot for locals. Customers have praised the helpful and courteous staff members like Punya for their exceptional customer service, making it a go-to destination for all their needs.
PUNYA is a wonderful CVS employee. He was so friendly. Took his time helping me with my coupons. He was kind and patient with the other customers in line before me (I probably would not have been!). I was truly impressed at his customer service. Please treat him well and pay him well so that he sticks around!

Clean, peaceful, quiet, efficient - my favorite neighborhood CVS. The best pharmacists too. Vaccination administration is top notch.
Selina C — Google review
The selection and layout of this store kinda sucks. Also the layout is incredibly confusing with the entrance and parking in back and a brick wall in the front. This store replaced a Motel that was completely demolished and built from the ground up. Whose dumb idea was it to put the store in backwards like a bad Sims build?
Willku9000 — Google review
The associate named Punya was awesome! He was helpful, courteous, and extremely patient. He's a shining example of customer service and professionalism. Keep up the good work!
Peter R — Google review
This is a convenient CVS location with a parking lot, a plus for an area with limited parking. The store is clean and employees are kind and helpful. This review is for the CVS Pharmacy only. The Pharmacy staff tend to be unhelpful, unkind, and lack customer service. The experience is equivalent to going to the DMV or worse. On my most recent visit I waited at the counter for a scheduled vaccination appointment. There were two people working and I was the only person at the Pharmacy counter. Both Pharmacy employees saw me, but let me wait at the counter for almost 10 minutes without even saying hello or I'll be with you shortly. Then they instruced me to sit down and wait more. I'm still the only person at the Pharmacy. Then I was handed paperwork to complete stating that they lost the clip board. I had to hunch over the counter top to complete the paperwork. Then the pharmacist went to the vaccination area and I had to wait more. I don't understand why my vaccine appointment was late, when I was the only person at the pharmacy. Unless the customer service improves, I will look for a different location, even if I have to drive a longer distance or I will change from the CVS pharmacy to a different provider.

The Fashion Centre at Pentagon City is a large and very popular shopping mall in Arlington, Virginia. It has 160 stores including many high-end brands, plus a food court. The mall is surrounded by large and brightly lit parking lots and offers the best shopping and dining options in the capital.
We came here on a public holiday afternoon. After finishing our lunch, we visited Starbucks which is a booth right next to the food court. We pre-ordered three tall-sized matcha espressos through the Starbucks app. It was a customized order, but the staff made them very quickly and fulfilled all our requests. If you also like matcha, I recommend this combination: * Cold Espresso * Matcha Foam * Splash of Whole Milk * Splash of Soy Milk * No Ice * No Room * No Water

Huge mall with every type of store you can imagine and more. There are lots of dining options as well. Do expect to pay more as well. I went during the early part of the week, and it was slammed with kids. They all had badges around their necks. Must have been a field trip. Great experience, and also you can just window shop or people watch.

An ice cream shop! Bakery! Sandwich shop and many other little boutiques. I come by here 3 to 7 days a week! It is just a great little place to go despite Arlington County meddling in its affairs ! Back at the Row for a little fun with the boogers. We come to 🧊 ⛸️ with them and they love it. We decided to go on Christmas day thinking that it wouldn't be crowded like before and thank you it wasn't 😊. There was even a nice gentleman helping the girls try and keep their balance and have fun while skating. Great time spent with the family.

Additionally, the area boasts sit-down restaurants showcasing local chefs and a lively food hall serving everything from street tacos to craft brews.

This shopping center is located in the heart of the downtown area. It offers a pleasant and well-maintained environment with various dining options and eateries. However, there are many vacant spots in the building. Macy's used to be located here but is no longer present. The building also includes a spacious fitness gym and other retail establishments. On weekends, the area becomes lively due to restaurants and bars.

Good food court, good structure, good couple of anchors (like Regal Cinema), but that's about it. They are suffering from high tenant vacancies. it's gotten so bad that they must have turned the ac way up. I'm sweating as I type this. 🥵💦 Think of the poor ____ doing _____ in this heat. 🫠

We had a nice lunch at the True Food Kitchen. I had the all American burger and my other family members had vegan dishes. Everyone was happy with their meals. Restaurant decor was innovative and casual.

This is being remodeled and even though it was a rainy day, there were a lot of people eating. If you can't decide what you want, or have a hankering for something different, this the place to go. There are so many unique choices to chose from. Most of the chains are unheard of except for chi-fil-a. We had a fun time trying foods we never had
Dennis S — Google review
Since we moved to Fairfax, VA we're slowly exploring new places and restaurants. So today we went to 'Ballston Quarter Mall' in Arlington, VA. I'm not impressed with this mall - it's DEAD however it was not your regular mall. The only anchor store was Macy's but not enough popular stores/boutiques that we are familiar with. The food court did not have your usual food court stores, instead it was a combination of fewer high restaurants and low. The higher restaurants like: 'Kung Fun Tea and JINYA Ramen Bar' are hidden around the down stairs going to the street I noticed only 2 tables with people. Outside the mall Mezeh, Rice Crook, Go Poke ... The mall has an indoor and outdoor layout. The indoor is full of empty seats to relax with painted murals and plants. The outdoor/patio is green with some restaurants and places to look at the street. Definitely they need to get more stores or revamp this mall to attract more people, because I don't see any future there. Basically the mall doesn't have a lot to do other than the Regal Theater, or go to the gym. The only good thing is the parking for $1 for 3 hours, very inexpensive for Northern Virginia. There's no reason to go back there!
Rhônya O — Google review
Ballston Quarter is in a fantastic location—convenient, lively, and easy to get to. The food court is definitely the highlight, offering a great variety of dining options from quick bites to sit-down meals. It’s a great spot to grab lunch or meet up with friends for a casual dinner. That said, the retail and store selection is a bit underwhelming. If you’re looking to do serious shopping, this might not be the place. It feels more like a hangout or food destination than a full-fledged shopping mall. Still, it’s a clean, modern space with a nice vibe—worth visiting for the eats and atmosphere alone.
Sherief A — Google review
Confusing layout, confusing parking, poor signage. Have now been to this place three times and every time we've gone we've had an issue trying to find what we're looking for. I dropped my two teenage boys off to go to the skating rink as per the location on google maps, but they couldn't figure out how to find a skating rink because of poor signage. Elevators said they were only for residents. They arrived late to their activity have been given plenty of time to try to find it. On a more recent occasion, I had to drop off my son for a party at one of the venues there. He got so frustrated trying to find it, he called and just wanted to be picked up and not even attend the party. On the first occasion, we were asked to come take a look at a display. We were trying to figure out parking which was a nightmare eventhough it is inexpensive. I do not want to download an app to use at just one parking location and then be constantly spammed with notifications and Spyware. Although there are some interesting restaurants that are primarily fast food type but not chain stores, they won't last long as the mall has largely been dead every time we've gone. Layout is poor, lack of proper signage, confusing parking, and in the downtown of Arlington where street parking is a problem. I have no desire to come back.

Upscale shopping district that includes Pottery Barn, Crate & Barrel, and Whole Foods. There are several dining options including Starbucks and ice cream. This open air shopping center in Clarendon has gone thru some changes to find it's niche. The Apple store and Crate and Barrel get good business but most of the stores are struggling (Barnes&Noble, Williams Sonoma/Pottery Barn) or closed, The commercial area is subsidized by the surrounding condos. There is a nice playground and sitting area in the middle and a Whole Foods across the street.
