Fried chicken takeaway
Ramen restaurant
Bantam King is a vibrant ramen and fried chicken spot located in the bones of a former Burger King. The restaurant offers a funky setting with Pop Art decor that pays homage to its predecessor. Specializing in chicken-based ramen, Bantam King presents various broth options, with the clear chintan standing out as a limited yet remarkable choice. Additionally, their southern American-style fried chicken has gained popularity, served with fixings for an all-inclusive experience.
Always good stop when you need fried chicken and hot ramen. All dishes are chicken or veggies. Although I prefer my ramen with pork I love this place and always coming back for more miso broth. Fried chicken as appetizer is a fight at the table every time. I guess next time we need to get more instead of sharing :) Bring your appetite!
Sabina K — Google review
I recommend the Nashville Hot Chicken, it’s halal and it was one of the best pieces of chicken. Sweet, spicy and crispy on the outside, hot and tender on the inside the perfect blend. The classic Soup and noodles were alright, get u full but nothing too special, reason why I gave 4 stars.
Zarrar M — Google review
Bantam King’s chicken-based menu consists of ramen and fried chicken. While the ramen broth lacks the depth and richness of pork-based broth, the Shoyu ramen ($15 plus tax) is nonetheless hearty and filling. The gyoza (4 pieces for $6.75) comes in a mild chili sauce. The service is very efficient. The interior has the vibe of a diner.
Augusto P — Google review
Service can be a bit slow, but I think that could be a testament to their popularity. Even in off peak times, this place has happy diners. They have the crunchiest, most delicious fried chicken in the city, and the ramen slaps too. Don’t forget to try the gyoza too (it’s hard to go wrong with gyoza, but their sauce is pretty memorable).
Kelsey J — Google review
The food was phenomenal. I saw this place on TikTok and decided to give it a go. The fried chicken was delicious and moist. The spicy miso ramen with extra toppings was also amazing. The place was really busy when we arrived we waited about 20min because other people said it was worth the wait. The staff was really friendly and had great customer service skills especially during peak hours dealing with tons of requests.
Melissa — Google review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Delicious halal ramen! The broth was rich and flavorful, and the toppings were super fresh. Great service and clean place — definitely coming back!
Ammo J — Google review
A bowl that’s more Yankee than Nippon, Yet hearty and warmly well-done. It’s not ramen’s deep flair, But still comfort is there, A soothing, straightforward run. For seekers of broth rich and bold, Daikaya’s the story you’re told. But this spot’s fair price, And soup that’s quite nice, Make value its true vein of gold.
Dan M — Google review
Food was delicious, with generous portions, great flavors, and excellent service. The dining space isn’t too large, so I imagine it can get busy. Most of the menu outside of the gyoza is halal or can be prepared halal (removing the wine spray for the ramen). The dark meat fried chicken plate was excellent! The rice with chicken drippings and butter was a nice touch! Overall, I would definitely come back!

Maketto is a unique food and fashion marketplace that offers a blend of java, street food, and trendy fashion labels. It's not just a restaurant but also features retail spaces, a coffee bar, and a pastry shop all in one place. The chef behind this concept is Erik Bruner-Yang, known for his popular DC restaurants. Maketto celebrates Lunar New Year with symbolic food and special offerings like drunken shrimp fried rice and apple ginger cake paired with loose leaf tea.
Food was outstanding. The soup dumplings, red curry, and short rib were both standout dishes. Also the service was 10/10, someone who wasn’t even our server offered us alcohol free wine after learning we don’t drink. Definitely a great experience!
Omar M — Google review
All around excellence. The food is just the right amount of spice to wake up the taste buds. Every dish was done right and oh so delicious. It reminds me of momofuku but without the insane price tag. The service is attentive without being overbearing. Just a very enjoyable experience. Will bring friends here.
Dennis H — Google review
My boyfriend made a reservation here so I could celebrate my birthday with my girlfriends, and it was wonderful! This was my second time visiting, and once again they did not disappoint. The food was just as good as I remembered, the atmosphere was great, and the staff were all very friendly and welcoming. We ordered the Crystal Shrimp Dumplings so flavorful, especially with fish sauce and lime if you enjoy that combination. The Ginger Chicken Soup Dumplings were also very tasty, packed with rich soy sauce flavor. The Sourdough Scallion Pancake was excellent, and the Lo Mein was just as delightful. The shrimp dumplings were such a hit with my girlfriends that we had to order a second round! Overall, it was the perfect place to celebrate and share good food with friends. I’ll definitely be back again!

The regular menu is incredible, but I just have to give a special shout out to the Saturday bake sale. The themes are always super fun, the spread is beautiful, and the food is DIVINE. There’s always a line, so get there right at opening if you really want something in particular. But the staff are always so cheerful and friendly even on their busiest mornings. This has become the best part of my weekend!
Alyssa F — Google review
Overpriced small portioned foods with no flavor. Cambodian noodle was as bland as water. Curry was too sweet. Peking duck was gamey and dry, kimchi and other pickled vegetables were served with the Peking duck which were beyond disappointing. The kimchi was a disgrace to Koreans. Bathroom was also filthy. Will not return. The food only looks decent in pictures.
Vinh L — Google review
Shrimp fried rice, xiao long bao, and matcha tiramisu were excellent. Fried chicken and noodle soup could be improved. Servers were friendly and efficient.
Khulan — Google review
Service was on point!! Such friendly staff. Maketto is definitely one of my favorite places to visit in DC. The sourdough scallion pancakes, fried chicken, mushroom and leek dumpling, wok fried rice noodles, and leek and mushroom bao continue to be menu highlights. I was surprised by how good the roasted pork-an add on to the wok fried noodles- were. Excellent. We weren’t as into the cauliflower but perhaps it was an off day for that dish. Will most certainly return.
Jennifer H — Google review
I went for dinner. I got duck noodle soup and pork bao. For the pork bao, I’m not quite sure of the decision to make the pork meat flavorless and put the flavorful sauce on the side was the best move. The music was a little loud but other than that the ambience was fine, my waiter was polite and the drinks were honestly better than the food (personally a fan of the matcha latte). The duck noodle soup was better than the bao by a good mile. The dish was a combination of ramen, pho, and Chinese crispy duck. Interesting combination to make… All in all it’s not a bad place to take a younger date, but if you’re going for cuisine or ambience alone maybe choose another restaurant (there are other reviews on this site that the dim sum is better on average).

Dumpling restaurant
Laoban Dumplings is a fast-casual spot that offers a variety of dumplings, including options like ginger chicken, veggie dumplings called Livin on the Vedge, and pork soup dumplings. The menu also features noodle dishes and sides. Additionally, the restaurant hosts a guest chef series where chefs create their own unique dumpling for the menu. Customers can also purchase frozen dumplings from select local grocery stores.
Love these dumplings!!! They're fresh to order, but worth the wait. I also love that they have a little shop area with sweets and ingredients to take home. Highly recommend!
Clo G — Google review
Great place for a savory treat. Portions are small (as you can see) but still very delicious. Wouldn’t say this is for a full meal, but rather an in-between meal snack. Recommend the pork & chive dumplings.
Kailey T — Google review
We've been buying these dumplings from Costco for the past year and love them. We were so excited to find a storefront. The food was so good! We ordered the pork bao bun and the pork and chive dumplings. Prices were reasonable and the portions are perfect for sampling.
Lina R — Google review
I had the soup dumplings and they were delicious. Chili oil sauce took it over the top. The chilled green bean salad has a good kick of spice, too. Would definitely eat these again.

The ginger chicken dumplings were really good we just stopped by for a snack and left decently satisfied. It came out fast too. They also have a bunch of Asian sauces you can buy.

Chinese restaurant
New Big Wong is a casual Chinese restaurant located in DC's Chinatown, offering a wide range of classic Chinese dishes for both dine-in and carryout. The chef, Kevin Tien, frequents the restaurant for their pan-fried dumplings when he's not busy at his own spots. Despite some negative reviews, visitors have found the food to be impressive, with recommendations for dishes like beef chow fun and egg drop soup.
Place is amazing. Anytime we get to DC we hit up this joint (usually late night after game concert) open til 3AM on weekends. Totally authentic native cuisine. Just Do It
Doug D — Google review
This hole in the wall of a place in DC Chinatown has been around forever. The prices of everything on the menu is high although the food itself was average to slightly above average...the pricing is still higher than it should have been the ambience of the restaurant and the cleanliness. It is your typical casual Chinese restaurant, so service is not exceptional. Mongolian beef was pretty tasty, salt pepper shrimp was very good, fried tofu with veggies was pleasantly delicious. It had bok choy, Chinese broccoli, carrots, and mushrooms. Flavor is light and tasty. Combination fried rice was okay which had chicken and pork pieces that didn't taste that fresh. They open until 3am, so this place is a great place to get Chinese food late after games, shows, etc. in DC. 18%tip is already added to your check so you don't need to add additional tip. Overall, this place has decent Chinese food in DC Chinatown, pricey, but fast food for late night outings since they stay open very late.
Thu-Nga M — Google review
The food was okay but overpriced. Basic rice noodles cost $25 and there is an automatic 18% gratuity fee. There were some flies hovering around too. I liked the food but a plate of rice noodles should not cost $25 anywhere. The area itself is sketchy and feels like a whole different DC
Nelson — Google review
Sweet and Sour Pork, it was really tough and few veggies, sauce was OK, soup was OK, ordered a coke (which was the best item at dinner) and waitress dropped off a can with a straw, had to ask for a glass, never checked to see if I needed anything and no smiles until the bill arrived, need to work on customer service, bare minimum would suffice, ate only about a third of the food shown in pictures because each chunk was a tough chewy surprise or fat
Richard G — Google review
Planned on dim sum but ended up here. It’s been around for about 30 years. It was nostalgia for my bf who used to come here late at night years ago. Wasn’t what we had planned on but everything was so good! Service was very good. Not so much on the atmosphere but we could live with that!
Becky — Google review
Small, lowkey & nothing fancy but packs a mighty punch on their dishes! Hidden, in the basement of a chinatown business front...is New Big Wong. It’s been around in downtown DC like forever! Be careful when driving are looking for this place because .... one blank of an eye while driving down the H Street Chinatown area, you might miss it. It’s just that in assuming… especially at night. lol. The food is delicious and the prices are very good. The portions are big here too..... not to mention the meats & vegetables used are always fresh. My go to and one dish that is always on realest and that this restaurant is famous for is the “Dry Scallop Fried Rice” dish! It's one of the best. It comes in one size and is loaded with shrimp scallops crab meat ....& lot of flavor! The Peking Duck dish is another favorite of mine from this restaurant as well. On any given day, you will find the restaurant pretty crowded which is a good sign, but both carryout and dine in available if ever in the area. This restaurant tends to get a lot of Uber eats DoorDash orders I noticed as well. I definitely recommend if you're looking for authentic Cantonese cuisine and good Hong Kong fare..... that is on an American-Asian carryout vibe ..... This is your place! Most meals are roughly around $15 to $20 and the servings are huge. Worth every penny.... Go here and thank me later!
Don C — Google review
The menu is extensive and the food is delicious. If you have a problem with the service you can always get carry out or delivery. Personally, I found it delightful!
T P — Google review
HORRIBLE. I asked for seafood noodles NOT deep fried noodles with seafood on the side. Super pricey and expensive, 50 dollars for beef and noodles? It tasted disgusting and the sides were super salty and gross. Threw away the leftovers, never ever coming back again would rather starve. 🤮

Afghan restaurant
Bistro
Restaurant
Lapis is an Afghan bistro located in the heart of Adams Morgan, offering a warm and inviting atmosphere with rugs and ornate furnishings. The restaurant serves a variety of Afghan dishes including kebabs, stews, and a large vegetarian menu. The Popal family, who operate the restaurant, have brought vibrant flavors from Afghanistan to this diverse neighborhood.
A foodie friend recommended this spot but we didn’t think we’d get in…it was packed! Luckily we did (the staff was so friendly and accommodating) and the experience was worth the anticipation. The restaurant is much larger than we thought with multiple bars and seating downstairs. We ordered the sample appetizer which gave us the opportunity to try everything. We enjoyed the potato and onion appetizer the most. For my entree I ordered the okra stew which was hearty and flavorful. My boyfriend ordered the grilled steak, lamb and chicken. He loved every bite. We were too stuffed for dessert but would definitely try to coconut rice pudding. Lapis is a 10/10. We would definitely recommend as a must try while visiting Washington, DC.
Lashawnda B — Google review
The food at Lapis is excellent, and I appreciate that the atmosphere is not overly formal. I think it's a great restaurant to bring friends from out of town or for a group dinner. My favorite item on the menu is the shrimp dumplings, the saffron cream sauce is incredible. I also like the lamb shank and eggplant. I've tried almost all of their desserts, and I liked the rose ice cream the best, but the dessert menu is not as memorable as the dinner menu in my opinion. Aside from the food, the service is also attentive and the space is well-designed. I would recommend making a reservation, they have been very busy every time I have gone for dinner.
Anika A — Google review
The food was absolutely delicious, and the desserts were outstanding—definitely a highlight of the meal. However, the service was on the slower side. We were seated in the basement near the bar, which I didn’t enjoy. It was very loud, and it made it hard to have a comfortable conversation. Next time, I’d prefer to sit upstairs if possible. The restaurant gets quite busy, so I highly recommend making a reservation in advance. Despite the noise and wait, the flavors were memorable, and I’d return again—just not in the basement seating area.
Aspa K — Google review
Definitely one of the best restaurants I ate at during my trip to DC! The food was up to par with other major city food scenes. Our waiter was awesome, knew the dishes and what to recommend, plus was attentive to my sister's peanut allergy, so he knew what to recommend and what dishes could be modified. I've never had Afghan food and it was delicious and I would go again! The dumplings are a must order and the pumpkin from the vegetable sides was one of my favorite things we ordered and I didn't expect it to be such a favorite of mine! The menu is made to be more of a shared type of experience (which was better because you could try everything). 5/5 in my book and makes sense how they have a Michelin award!! We walked in right at around 5 pm and got a 2 person table easily, but as the evening went on more and more people came and by 7 a resy would definitely be needed!
Georgia G — Google review
I don’t understand the hype, I guess. Food was okay. Appetizers are definitely better than entrees on offer. The palow was completely unimpressive (especially given the price jump if including lamb), and the kofta rivaled IKEA meatballs in terms of taste and amount of spice used. I shouldn’t be looking forward to eating a potato chunk when there is highlighted piece meat on my plate :( Service was good, if extremely sparse. Should you be sitting downstairs, you’ll likely see your waiter once every 15 minutes - that’s how long it will take between sitting and ordering, ordering and appetizers, appetizers and entrees. 20% service charge is included no matter group size. Mezcal cocktail was fine. Bartender was polite and prompt. Atmosphere was loud and fun. Basement and main floor are very different.
C — Google review
The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. However, the service was just average. Maybe because they already charge a 20% service fee, the staff only came to our table about three times from when we sat down until we left.
Skylar K — Google review
Such a beautiful and cozy place! The décor is lovely and the atmosphere feels so warm. The food was amazing. We had Mantu, Bolani, rice pilaf, and Sharbat, and everything was delicious. The staff were super friendly and even offered us ice cream on the house! Loved the whole experience.
Bothainah A — Google review
Spot on for chapli kabab, skewered meat, stuffed bread, and eggplant without the dairy. The naan was too stiff and dry, drinks were good. The indoor area is very pretty, though our group sat outside which was very pleasant. Would go back.

Fine dining restaurant
Nestled in the vibrant Ballston neighborhood, Rus Uz is a delightful culinary gem that showcases the rich flavors of traditional Russian and Uzbek cuisine. The inviting dandelion-yellow dining room sets the stage for an unforgettable meal where hearty savory and sweet specialties take center stage. Diners are encouraged to explore a variety of dumplings and pastries, including flaky pirozhki filled with creamy potato puree and mushrooms, as well as caviar-topped tarts bursting with flavor.
My friend and and I split a starter and a salad for lunch. Chebureki is a deep fried ground beef turnover that is delicious. The Fish Under Coat salad apparently had herring at the bottom, but the potatoes, carrots and shredded beets stop were so tasty that no fishy taste or smell came through. A lovely elegant restaurant worthy of return visits.
Carolyn F — Google review
I had good experience. I like that I had an option of where to sit. I got coffee and I like the small size that it comes in. I got cucumber tomatoes salad, which was good. I also got the piroshky which was disappointing. They are not authentic. Looked more and tasted like a croissant. Other than that it was good experience. Also was connected to a European market which I liked.
Ekaterina — Google review
If I had just ordered the Samsa, I probably would've rated it much higher 😅. The Samsa were great, flaky, crispy, and tasty. But the plov tasted a bit bland, it didn't really have that rich fried meaty flavor that I was expecting. The manti were also just alright compared to the ones I've previously eaten. But what I think ruined it for me was the honey cake. All else may be forgiven, but a bland, cardboard-like honey cake. Thats just illegal. Where are the layers, the soft cream, the honey flavor and honey!! Good starter, ok main courses and bad honey cake. 6.9/10
POtato C — Google review
Every bite of food, every dish tastes like home and made with love! Thank you for great service and for the yummy food. I had Samsa, Plov with tomato salad and Mors. And I took to go Lamb kebab and Veal chop. Great place!

Rus Uz is a hidden gem! The food is authentic and full of flavor—you can really taste the homemade touch in every dish. Portions are generous, and the menu offers a great variety of Russian and Uzbek specialties. The staff were warm and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The atmosphere is cozy, perfect for both casual meals and special occasions. Highly recommend trying the plov and dumplings—they were outstanding.

Rus-Uz is such a hidden gem! 💙 It’s cozy, charming, and feels like stepping into your Eastern European aunt’s kitchen — if your aunt also had a great wine list and perfect lighting. 😂 We started with the pelmeni (little dumpling dreams 🥟) and they were so good — tender dough, flavorful filling, and that buttery sauce? I was living. The beef stroganoff was rich, creamy, and total comfort food heaven, and the chicken Kiev? Crispy outside, juicy inside, and honestly a star moment. 🌟
Camila — Google review
The food was delicious. Very quiet atmosphere, perfect for meetings or date nights
Katerina M — Google review
Amazing Uzbek & Russian cuisine served in nice dishes at a nice venue! Food was very tasty and the portions although are not large are enough for the price. Tried the Pilov, Manti, Salad Olivier, Honey Cake, and black tee and love them all. The only thing that I would improve was the service. Overall, I will definitely go back to explore the menu and recommend this place to all delicious food lovers.

Restaurant
Osteria da Nino Italian Ristorante is a charming and intimate dining spot in Arlington, offering a modern twist on traditional Italian cuisine. The menu features authentic dishes made with fresh ingredients, with a focus on pasta and seafood. The restaurant also provides the option for takeout and delivery through Postmates, with convenient curbside pickup available.
Overall this was a positive experience; however, some minor reservations with my dinner. I made reservations for dinner and got parked nearby. There’s plenty of free parking in several parking garages nearby, so a good way to start. We checked in and were immediately seated. The atmosphere was pleasant, and you could tell people were enjoying themselves. It took about 4 minutes before getting water, and about 10 minutes before getting menus. But I wanted a nice dinner with my wife and wasn’t going to let this sour things. When asked about water, I asked for tap and was given sparkling, which I don’t like. I also don’t appreciate getting charged $8 for water I didn’t order (or want). Again, not wanting to ruin the evening. The bread and dip was good, but think the focaccia would have been better if warm. My wife and son started with some oysters, which they enjoyed. For dinner, many dishes peaked my interest but I went for the eggplant Parmesan, which was solid. My wife had the spaghetti and meatballs, which is what she likes, although I think is boring. And my son had the veal piccata, which was so good. And to close out dinner we shared a tiramisu and cannolis. Again, overall positive but with a few moments.

I came specifically for the Winter Restaurant Week experience, which was a 3 course menu that was $40/pp. I got calamari for the appetizer and it was average. The batter was soggy and not light and crispy enough but I did enjoy the two sauces that were paired with it. Of the ones that our table got and sampled, the best appetizer was the Polpettine di Carne meatballs. For the main, I got the Fusilli Salsiccia. The pasta was slightly overcooked and the sauce was watery but overall I enjoyed how the flavor of the pork and sage complimented the pasta, but it wasn't anything to write home about. My friend got the carbonara which was unfortunately disappointing, as it was watery, overly salty and the opposite of what a good carbonara should be. In addition, the carbonara had what looked like pieces of cubed ham instead of pancetta or guanciale, which really downgraded the dish. Chocolate mousse was a good way to end the meal, I would've liked less whipped cream but it wasn't too sweet, which I preferred. Service wise, food came out within a reasonable but towards the end of the meal (and their closing time), they started turning off the lights in the dining area and it felt like we were being rushed and kicked out, which also lended to the lower review. Unfortunately, an overall disappointing restaurant week experience. I had really high expectations given the high reviews on both Google and Yelp, but I would not recommend coming back here (at least for Restaurant Week).

I had high hopes coming in here. The owner greeted us and was super friendly. Unfortunately the rest of the experience was underwhelming. Every single food item seemed like it was made nicely but lacked salt. Even my partner who is sensitive to salt had to add it to everything. I had the carbonara and it was just meh. So bland. I had one bite and decided not to have more. Our waitress never came back to check on us and my glass sat empty. My partner wanted another glass of wine but 🤷‍♀️. When we flagged her down for the check she noticed my plate, asked me if I wanted a box and when I said no, asked no further questions. Also we arrived early before it got crowded so that’s not an excuse.

We try to go once a twice a year, for the good food and atmosphere. This time, we went for restaurant week and unfortunately the Calamari was chewy and difficult to eat. The food overall was smaller portion but higher on price. The main course of pasta was good, but nothing special. The dessert was grainy chocolate moose and bland canoli. Overall we were underwhelmed with our evening. The wine was the best part, but since we've had great experiences before we will try again some time down the road.

We visited for valentines day! I loved the fresh bread with the delicious pesto. I could have eaten that for dinner and been so happy. The stars were: the wine from Italy, the pistachio dessert and their short ribs, they were so succulent and tasty!! The calamari was a little overcooked. Loved that the owner was very friendly and kind and was checking on all the patrons. Beautiful establishment with authentic Italian dishes! Thank you!

We had dinner here at this restaurant on a Sunday a while back, and we loved the quality and taste of the food. It was delicious, and we especially enjoyed the desserts we ordered. The Tiramisu was melt-in-your-mouth! The service was attentive, and the classic ambiance was enjoyable, although some updating would further enhance the overall dining experience.

Osteria is our go-to pre-theater restaurant. The food is fantastic. I've had most of the menu, but my favorite is the gnocchi. You really can't go wrong, though. The drinks are equally as good. Highly recommend the Italian Long Island. So good. The staff are amazing and are always sure to wrap up service before the show. Can't say enough good things about this place! Edit - Went back again before going to Signature and had the carbonara. You gotta love when a place uses authentic ingredients like guanciale. Also love the Arancini as an app!

Everything was perfect! The foods were really tasty! I ordered Dumpling Assortment, Afghania Dhood Palo, and Cardamon Milk Cake. My favorite dumpling was pumpkin one. The lamb was very delicious. The cake was amazing! I definitely will come back. The inside is very cool too. The severs were polite and friendly. I had a great customer service.

This was my first time trying Afghan food, and Bistro Aracosia did not disappoint! The food was absolutely amazing. It was rich with flavors and beautifully spiced. We ordered the sampler, which was perfect for trying a variety of dishes, and every single one was delicious. A great experience all around. I’ll definitely be back!

Food was tasty. Really liked the chutneys, we chose the multiple course offering. The lamb shank, kabob, rice ,eggplant etc. Reason for three star rating: The bread kind of took too long. They sat us in a specific section which was interesting ... there was a large party and they were pretty loud and only two of us. Unfortunately, I found a pretty large lentil stone in the daal.

We loved this place so much and are embarrassed to say we almost skipped to cuz of the reviews but glad we decided to try it anyways! The service was great, from the moment we walked in the host, the waiter, everyone was very attentive and kind. The bread basket and sauces we just the beginning and were so tasty! From the dill yogurt to the mango to the pepper to the zatar spice mix. Lentil soup - wasn’t sure if we’d like this but it turned out we loved it and even added rice from our platters to extend the great taste! Quroti- very flavorful with a great balance of spices to enhance the flavor and texture Potato and meal turnovers - simple yet very tasty, soft and fresh inside and crispy outside Grilled salmon atop saffron rice and greens - omg this was so good, especially loved the greens Lamb dish (can’t remember name) but it was fall off the bone tender served with rice and greens as well and we devoured every bit of this dish too! Can’t wait to return, hungry just writing this review!

Afghan food is delicious! We went with friends and this place is amazing. Cozy, and comfortable, with tables spread around enough so conversations we soft and quiet. The restaurant is decorated in a way that makes you feel very relaxed. The food has many options with options like kebabs and grilled meats, stews, rice dishes and many vegetables and assorted appetizers. We shared several platter so everyone could taste all the dishes. Everything was amazing. The meats are marinated, and flavorful, the vegetables and rice dishes are unique, and delicious. We are absolutely everything! I can't wait to return!

EASILY some of the best Afghani food — and honestly, some of the best food, period — in all of DC, and it’s not even close! I stopped by Bistro Aracosia for the first time today after my chiropractor recommended it, it was near my appointment, and wow… I’m blown away. The chicken wrap was to die for — juicy, tender, and perfectly charbroiled with a subtle, smoky flavor. The spread of condiments was next-level: spicy, herby, creamy yogurt, tangy chutney, and sweet mango, each one fresh and bursting with flavor. Add in the side of house bread and savory chickpeas, and you’ve got a meal that’s nothing short of perfection. The service matched the food — warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. Can’t wait to come back. This place is an absolute gem!

Himalayan Heritage Restaurant DC is a dining establishment in Washington, DC that offers a unique ambiance reminiscent of a lodge in the Himalayas. This restaurant serves flavorful and spicy Nepalese-Indian cuisine such as tandoori dishes and momo. Located at 2305 18th St NW, it is easily accessible by public transportation. It has gained popularity among locals, including Returned Peace Corps Volunteers who chose this place for their monthly dining outing.
I mostly come here for duck Momos. I love them so much, I come just for them! Overall the food is very good, a bit spicy (keep that in mind), prices are very reasonable. We had a birthday dinner of 5 people, everyone had at least 2 martinis. We paid only about $250. The service was a bit slow though, we started ordering drinks in advance so we can get them on time and there were only few tables occupied.

After walking by so many times, we finally stopped in and it did not disappoint! The restaurant is busy, quaint with nice ambiance. The servers and owner were extremely attentive and friendly. The veggie momos were to die for. We also got the mushroom matar, chili chicken and bread basket. Good portions (enough for leftovers with the curry!) and so tasty.

Y’AALLLLL. LISTEN UP!!! We visited DC from MI for the first time and stayed in Adams Morgan. Real talk Himalayan Heritage is 500,000/10 good. We got the chicken vindaloo (spice level as it comes—the slightly more orange colored dish from the photo) and tikka masala chicken (hot—the more red colored dish), garlic naan, gobi Manchurian, gulab jamun (dessert balls), and my husband drank some sweet red wine. All were so delicious!! tbh we have good Indian food in Michigan but this was waaaaaaaaay better than MI Indian spots we know of. (We have never seen any Nepalese in Mi other than a good friend’s parents’ home cooking so we cannot comment on that part.) Our server, Moon, was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE, a real gem. 💎💕🌙 She was patient, kind, happy to explain things, beautiful & professional, and we appreciated that she was easygoing with 2 complete out of towners!! We loved Himalayan Heritage so so much and look forward to the next time we’ll be in town to visit. ❤️ In fact it was by far the BEST food we had in DC, tied only with those croissants from Soleluna up the road. Absolutely recommended!!!!!!

Food was great! Definitely have the momo dumplings and the Himalayan Choela! 10/10. Himalayan Choela was one if the best dishes I've ever had. We got the Momo dumplings (5 pork & 5 buffalo), 2 appetizers, 2 main courses, garlic naan, and a dessert for 2 people and we finished everything! It was a good dinner experience. Food didn't take long to come. Chicken Tikka was good but really dry. The menu says is dry so be ready for it. Don't expect a juicy chicken. The flavor was good. I gave 4 to service because I made a reservation for 2. When we got there, 3 people came after us without reservation, and the manager (I assume) gave them a table before us. When we had a reservation & arrived first. Besides that all good. Good vibes.

Absolutely delicious food and super friendly service! Every dish was packed with flavor, the staff were super attentive and kind, and the restaurant was cozy. We ordered the chicken johl momo, the steamed heritage special momo with goat, and the tikka masala chicken curry. Highly recommend to all!

Is it the hunger that's sweet, or the food?" — a familiar Nepali saying that comes to mind here. The place offers a decent taste of Nepali cuisine. It may not feel exactly like home, but it’s a good effort for those looking to reconnect with familiar flavors away from Nepal.

Absolutely wonderful service! I was suggested Daal Bhat and wasn’t disappointed! I got a little bit of everything I wanted and needed. I just wish I had a bigger stomach so I could have kept eating! The goat was so tender I’d fell off the bone, the dahl was very flavorful, the mustard greens were delightfully crunchy. The two pickled vegetables added that tangy acidity that was perfect with the luscious curry. I also had to get a glass of the chyang. Yum! I ate all my pickled vegetables and the waitress brought me more for free! I was in Himalayan heaven.

If you're craving some delicious Chinese food, Dumplings and Beyond is the perfect place to go. The restaurant serves up a variety of dumplings in several flavors, as well as noodles and hotpot. You'll love the pork bao, which is one of the most popular items on the menu. If you're looking for something more seafood-based, try the fish Sichuan spicy bowl.
Quick, delicious, masterful. Perhaps the greatest Chinese meal I’ve ever had. Best fried rice I’ve had far and away. Service faster than light, food perfectly warm. Always ready to fill your water. Just amazing food. Spectacular culinary experience.

They’ve the best dumplings in town. I tried the fish dumplings for the first time and they were delicious just as other stuffing. The hot pot was a must especially in cold weather. The cucumber salad was just okay. The staff were attentive and efficient. Reservations are not necessary. The restaurant was not crowded on a Saturday noon.

Restaurant
Tiger Fork is a Chinese bistro located in a hidden alley in Washington DC, offering a unique dining experience with contemporary twists on traditional Hong Kong dishes. The menu, curated by Manager Chef Nathan Beauchamp and Chef de Cuisine Jong Son, features modern takes on street food, dim sum, and classic Chinese cuisine with global influences. The restaurant emphasizes family-style dining and community experience. Guests can enjoy herb-infused cocktails alongside exceptional dishes like smashed cucumbers and bubble waffle with ice cream.
Hidden Gem in Chinatown – Tiger Fork My niece accidentally discovered Tiger Fork when I told her we were heading to Chinatown, and what a lucky find it was! At first, we couldn’t figure out exactly where it was located—there’s no big sign, and we had to guess based on the Chinese decor outside. A quick Google search confirmed we were at the right spot, though no one online really mentioned which building it was. Heads up: there's no on-site parking, but we found a spot on the side of the road nearby. As soon as we walked in, we saw they’ve earned Michelin recognition for three years—and after tasting the food, we know why. Every dish was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. The crispy pork was the standout: not what I expected, but absolutely delicious! Crispy on the outside, melt-in-your-mouth tender on the inside, and paired with an incredible sauce. The overall vibe of the restaurant is cool, unique, and modern with a twist of traditional. The staff was friendly and the service was great. We’re already planning our next visit. If you’re in the area, this place is a must-try. Highly recommend Tiger Fork!

My wife and I have loved this place for years. The quality has remained consistent in all manners of the restaurant. Even with a chef change, the menu is still great. Our only wish is that the cheung fun would come back. That dish was on the menu back in 2019 and we still talk about it to this day.

Love the alley location. Beautiful space. The flavors are very strong, maybe even overpowering in some cases. Although the noodles with mushrooms were oddly bland. The crispy eggplant was overly fried for my taste. My dinner companions loved it, though. Everything else was really good!

I’ve only sat at the bar here, but it’s always a good time. Service is quick, and the drinks are strong, flavorful, and have a fun Chinese twist to them. The food isn’t super authentic, but it’s definitely tasty. It’s a great spot to grab a few drinks and snacks before heading out for the night.

We went for a fun double date. The vibes were great, loved my cocktail. The service was timely and friendly. The food was good overall but didn’t really wow me. It’s really solid Chinese food!

The food is outstanding! We had pork, duck, green beans and combo fried rice dishes to share. The only two complains I have are: the chopsticks - they're plastic (I prefer wood or bamboo) that makes them too slippery; the music - contemporary pop and somewhat loud.

Great food and cocktails, menu is best to share, pick some of the smaller plates and one main. Great cocktails

We went here for our second trip to DC. I've really wanted to go since the last time we were here and saw the YouTube video. We got the brisket chow fun. It was good. The fat could've been trimmed off the meat, and it would have been better in smaller pieces but the taste was delicious. Hard to eat the large pieces and cut fat when all you get is a spoon and chopsticks. We also got the monkey bread to split and I guess it's just the southerner in me but it was just ok. The bread was kind of stiff and it seemed like a bougie attempt at what should be a comfort food dessert. The place wasn't bad but it was one and done for us. A few tips: The door is super heavy and hard to open - Pull hard. Like really hard If you can't use chopsticks you will starve. Weird how it's called tiger fork but there is no fork in sight. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Decent food; great turkey sausage! Service was slow - even on a random Friday for lunch at 1pm - but the breakfast was good. I would recommend if looking for breakfast food later in the day, and would return, however it’s nothing out of the ordinary. Solid eggs, breakfast potatoes and sausage, but nothing you couldn’t make at home.

Delicious! Great place to eat, drink and enjoy a good time. We stopped in for brunch on a Sunday and enjoyed mimosas, Shakshuka, pancakes and kielbasa. This place has a great vibe, great service, good music and delicious food! Our server, Ron, was amazing. He was very informative of the menu, his favorites, customer favorites, the chef’s style and gave great recommendations for places to see while we were in the area. The Shakshuka was hot and fresh as well as delicious. The pancakes were good and the kielbasa was some of the best I’ve ever had! We had a pineapple and a grapefruit mimosa. Both were good. They did not skimp on the champagne.

Anju is a cozy restaurant with brick walls and outdoor seating, offering contemporary Korean comfort food. It is the latest venture from the Fried Rice Collective, known for CHIKO. Anju emerged from the ashes of Chef Danny Lee's original Mandu restaurant after a fire. The restaurant pays homage to its past while elevating Korean cuisine under the guidance of Chef Angel Barreto.
Be aware, there are a lot of steps/stairs leading up to the table. As for the food, everything here is top-notch quality. We had brunch here for the first time, and it did not disappoint. My dosirak meal was absolutely delicious and satisfying. The pork cutlets (donkatsu) were incredibly tasty, with high-quality meat. The Korean curry was a pleasant surprise—it wasn’t the artificial kind I expected. Instead, they made it from scratch using healthy ingredients, and it was wonderfully flavorful with donkatz. The banchan—cucumber pickle, kimchi, and lotus root—were a refreshing kick Kimchi was way too sour to me but it’s probiotic bomb with the sourness, it’s was ok. Galbi steak and egg Red lettuce is a symbol of the Korean wrap salad, always paired with meats. I loved the attention to detail in the flavor combinations Will come back for dinner sometime soon. Hopefully there will be options for brown rice or mixed grain bop. Side dishes like organic egg jangjorim or danmuji kimchi, anchovy etc could be fun options if added.

My partner and I came here for brunch and absolutely loved it. We ordered the chicken and waffles, steak and eggs, and tater tots, and everything was delicious. The chicken and waffles were our favorite. The portions were generous, the food was perfectly cooked, and the cocktails were just as impressive. Highly recommend this spot for a relaxed and satisfying brunch.

The interiors of Anju are very warm and inviting. The staff is very friendly and the food came out fairly quickly. The actual dishes were average in terms of flavor. The dumplings were not very flavorful and didn’t taste very Korean. The fried broccolini also felt out of place — it lacked flavor and didn’t really fit the rest of the menu in my opinion. The tofu bibimbap also tasted under seasoned but it was not bad. The kimchi Jiggae was the best dish out of the ones we ordered - it had tender pieces of pork and tofu, but it could have been a little richer and spicier. I would also argue that free kimchi or banchan at a Korean restaurant is a must. I will applaud this place for its large portion sizes. Overall, I think this place gives you a lot of food for its price but I don’t think I would come back here for great Korean food!

I went here for dinner with a few friends after grabbing a very difficult reservation. We are late (8pm) and the place was packed and hopping. We split two appetizers and three mains between the three of us and it was more than enough food. We started out with the Chikin and Mandu. The Chikin consisted of MASSIVE wings that are delicious. Definitely try this starter! For mains , we got Korean “Jambalaya”, Ssam Board, and Yeomso Jjajangyeon (goat). Everything was really good and we were stuffed. If I went back, it would be hard to try new stuff and not just get these again! I love how this spot is nestled right in DuPont circle. Very close and very good. Check it out!

The dak manu was weird to be honest, I understand it’s fusion but personally didn’t think they paired particularly well together. The beef yukhoe was again definitely fusion - no raw egg, no Asian pear, random chia seeds, random lotus root chips, sweeter than traditional yukhoe … but it’s a pretty good starting point for those that have never had it before and it still tasted good, just not traditional Korean food. Which was fine, because that’s not what they’re claiming to be! Cocktails were awesome, bartender was really friendly.

Had a birthday dinner at Anju in DC. We had Panchan (set of three) Soy-brined Chayote, Sweet Lotus Root, Mul kimchi and Palace Ddukbokgi, Korean "Jambalaya", Broccolini Twigim and kids had Chikin. The food was very good but the vegan/vegetarian options are very limited. They had no juice for kids and they did not offer any sweet or a pastry as it was a birthday dinner. In terms of the place itself, they do have rubber grips but I found the stairs going up and a step down to get to the bathroom a bit slippery. A lady fell down in front of the bathroom right next to us. They did have a sign there to be careful but that was not that visible.

Scored a reservation the day of and were very happy we did. What we ordered: Apps: - Chikin was fantastic - Mandu was the star of the show. Absolutely delicious. Main: - Palace Ddukbokgi also amazing. Very traditional and hearty. Highly recommend. dessert: - Banoffee Pie for dessert. You could truly taste the black pepper. Drink: - Pineapple tumeric soda: basic. Could only taste the pineapple and not the tumeric. Wouldn't recommend. All-in-all: fantastic place. Would visit again.

Highly recommend and will be back! No wait to sit at the bar on a Saturday night without a reservation. Great service and delicious drinks and food, including vegetarian options. Had the Mandu, Yache Mandu, Palace Ddukbokgi, Chikin, and the Pat Brownie Sundae. The sundae was my least favorite but still good. I highly recommend the Palace Ddukbokgi! The bartender recommended it and I’m so glad I went with his suggestion. When I saw rice cake on the menu I immediately thought of hard rice cakes but this is not that. They’re soft and chewy (like a thick noodle log) with veggies (I added tofu) in a sweet sauce that is to die for!

Delightful vermicelli dish with ground chicken and shrimp. The flavors blend harmoniously, creating a truly satisfying meal. While the tempura may not have been a personal favorite, the main dish more than compensates. It's definitely worth a try for those seeking a delicious and balanced meal. My friend got the beef curry and liked it as well!

Baan Siam was an amazing dinner location selected for our large group of 20+. There was one young lady who served the entire group and she did a phenomenal job! We were seated at a long table near the kitchen and it was the perfect size and location. This is the best Thai I have had! Many in our group echoed similar sentiments...

Great Thai food in DC! The pumpkin stir-fry tastes just like Thailand, and the fried rice is excellent. Prices are a bit high, but the service is friendly and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere. Parking can be tricky, but overall worth the visit.

So delicious! Lychee martini is a must! I got the Northern Thai Mixed Curry with Chicken and my boyfriend got the Thai vermicelli. Both were amazing and we ate until we were OVERLY full! Service was excellent we will be back

Clean and super tasty food from start to finish. Flavorful spicy that didn't kick my teeth in. At the end of a long hot day of travel, this was the prefect choice for Make Me Feel Better. Fantastic kitchen.

- fried lotus is fine. Shrimp is ok. Overall it’s too salty - Crispy pork is not crispy at all, and not tender enough; meet quality does not seem to be high; fried rice is too salty and overly seasoned - Coconut ice cream does not taste coconut at all, many stuff going on but fight with each other; sticky rice seems not fresh, peanut is a nice touch

A great spot for Thai food! We had the crispy pork fried rice with chili paste and Khao Soi chicken — tasted just like home! Super delicious and totally recommend.

Noodle shop
Asian fusion restaurant
Asian restaurant
This March, Yunnan by Potomac Noodle House opened its doors in North Old Town, bringing the rich flavors of Yunnan Province in China to Alexandria. Spearheaded by Dr. Zongmin Li, the restaurant's menu was crafted after a journey to southwest China where she and her team explored local culinary traditions and sampled authentic mixian rice noodles. These silky, gluten-free noodles serve as a delightful foundation for an array of comforting dishes featuring braised beef and shiitake mushrooms.
One of the best Asian meals I’ve had in a long time. The food was perfect. Nothing was too heavy, and the flavors all paired together nicely. The service was also great, checked in regularly but did not over check in. Prices were on the high side, but it’s an expensive area. On top of this you can tell they use good ingredients. To end it off we had the melon cheesecake which was fantastic. We will definitely be coming back.

Had a great experience at Yunnan By Potomac! The all-you-can-eat menu offered a wide variety of flavorful options, especially the mixian noodles and small plates, which were both delicious and filling. The ambiance was cozy and stylish, and the service stood out—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The staff really helped make the evening enjoyable. Definitely a solid spot if you're looking for something unique and satisfying in the area!

The lunch bento was one of the best meals I’ve ever had in the DMV area at any price. Service was also excellent. To top it off, the meal was an incredible representation of Yunnan cuisine, which is criminally underrepresented in the U.S.

Highly recommend this restaurant! From spectacular service to the taste and portion sizes were quite worth the money. I opted in for the unlimited option as I like to eat for two, and I got humbled quickly due to the very decent portion sizes per dish. Make sure to try the crispy pork belly bao buns, beef short rib dumplings, and the avocado toast. Ask for some chili oil on the side if you like your food a little hotter. (If you don’t like crazy amount of fat, do not get the BBQ Bao bun special — it’s got a lot of fat. If you’re a huge pork belly and BBQ fan, then you may enjoy it.) Service was phenomenal. Quick, accommodating, and always love the promptness.

I came here everyday of my trip to try a new item after trying their mixian noodles and soup. The chicken broth was my favorite. Highly recommend! Great service and ambience.

Blown away. My new comfort food spot. The bao, dumplings, and drinks were super flavorful and precise without being too sweet or salty - the tea ceremony cocktail was amazing. Attentive servers. Perfect portions for what we were seeking. Definitely going back

Amazing food, but the menu is a little confusing lol. There are a LOT of options and variations. Bottom line, decide what composition you want first (you want a bun, dumpling, noodles, etc( and then order, even with the endless table option. Everything will be delicious, which is a top experience no matter what! The pork wuhuarou skewer was absolutely delicious, and I highly recommend that no matter what!

It took a bit for Ynnan to hit it's stride but it's now amazing! The food is delicious and gorgeous. I'd recommend any of the pork dishes, especially the little pot and the pork belly BBQ!

Chang Chang is a Chinese restaurant with an open and inviting atmosphere. The full Chinese menu is mostly dairy-free, and they also offer a separate vegan menu. Visitors have enjoyed the spicy chicken nuggets, which provide a slow-building heat without being overwhelmingly hot, as well as the delicious eggplant dish. The restaurant has been praised for its great ambiance and well-presented, tasty food.
Chang Chang is a fantastic spot for casual Chinese cuisine. Coming from Florida—where quality Chinese food is hard to find—this place was a real treat. The dumplings are a standout and absolutely a must-try. Everything is homemade, and the daily special of pork and chive dumplings, made with ingredients from a local Amish farm, was delicious. The shrimp dumplings were also excellent. We tried the Wagyu beef lo mein, which was good, though it didn’t particularly taste like Wagyu. Another special of the day—shrimp with pea pods—was outstanding, especially with all vegetables sourced from a local Amish farm. The bok choy with mushrooms was a solid side dish. Service was fast and friendly, and the ambiance was pleasant, though the space was a bit warm. Overall, if you’re in the area, Chang Chang is absolutely worth a visit.

We enjoyed this place overall! I would give it a 4.5 star rating. Food was mostly good, service was a little slow (but food came out quickly), and atmosphere was nice. I got a few of the small plates, and here were my thoughts: - Pork dumplings - delicious, and probably the best dish - Bubble pancake - very good and unique! Picturesque! - Jade tofu and duck soup - great portion and value, although I think I was lacking some flavor. - Wagyu lo mein - it was good overall and a great portion; not 5 stars, but maybe 4 or so. Overall, we enjoyed this place but it wasn't perfect. We'd come back, and I like trying a lot of the small dishes!

Honestly deserves 4.5 but since we can't give half stars here it is. Food was absolutely delicious especially for someone who is a pescatarian. Plenty of options although would be careful with the traditional choices as the tofu wrapped items are stuffed with meat! My favorite was the steamed shrimp dumplings! Highly recommend reservations!
S. J — Google review
Incredibly overrated.. didn’t take many pictures but the dumplings were neither traditional nor fusion enough, fried rice had hardly any shrimp and didn’t even taste fried, portion sizes are not for sharing, dong pao pork was the only good dish there. The xiao long bao was good but the dough kept sticking to each other so we ended up wasting all of the broth because it would just rip… service was also very frazzling the waiters were always rushed, didn’t tell you the exact name of the dish you were getting, weren’t even fully aware of what was on their menu, had to wait for ages to someone to even bring us a menu although there were lots just standing about.

I had "squirrel "fish once at a private Shanghainese restaurant. I was excited to know this restaurant also provides this special dish. I made an appointment online. I was able to find a nearby paid street parking. The staff were friendly. I decided to order Mandarin Branzino "squirrel fish" and Stone Pot Curry Seafood. Each dish costed around $40. The stone pot curry seafood was delicious and delightful but the portion was extremely small for this price. The mandarin branzino had an amazing presentation. The sauce was too sweet and thick. The booth furniture was not comfortable. I was a little disappointed for their food with this price point. I don't believe this is an authentic Chinese restaurant. This is more closer to a fusion or Americanized Chinese restaurant.

Service: We were a party of four with a reservation. We were seated in a booth and sat for about 8 minutes before I asked if we had a server. Then the server stated I was in my phone that's why he didn't approach the table. While I made a quick call, the same server walked by our table several times like the rest of the servers without saying anything before I brought it to someone's attention. Yet, when the table behind us had four Caucasian women seated they were greeted immediately and given a geeat overview of the menu. Yep, our family of four was not White! When the server came to the table, I said it was our first visit. A better explanation of all menu options would have been great to include the non-brunch. No drink options were discussed. It was a very BLAND customer service experience. Food: Some of the dishes were served cold. While some of the items were fresh and hot there was nothing special about the cuisine. Most of the dishes were luke warm and the miso soup was way too salty to the point that I had a headache immediately after eating one bowl. Atmosphere: The restaurant had low lighting and comfortable seating with a patio area outside. 20% service charge to all tickets and children under 10 pay full price. Very limited street parking.

As an out of town-er, finding food in DC is overwhelming. We found Chang Chang on TikTok and Instagram reels and people were raving about the food here. Let me tell you, if you are thinking about it, DO IT. The food here is absolutely amazing. Specifically, the wagyu beef lo mein was PERFECT. We also ordered the chili wontons and WOW. They are also a must order. As far as service, it honestly could not have been more top notch. Our server Scott was incredible! He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable with the items on the menu. Scott was hands down one of the best servers I’ve ever had at a restaurant. I swear, when I drank all of my water, he was right there to fill up my cup for me even though the bottle was right on the table. I literally didn’t lift a finger to pour my own water. Amazing. It’s people like that who can make or break a restaurant and Scott is an absolute ASSET to this place. Overall, I give this establishment a solid 10/10 which I don’t usually do. Anytime I come back to DC, Chang Chang will be a “must stop” on our trip. Thank you Chang Chang and Scott for making this trip just that much more special and memorable.

Kelvin was our server on our last visit and he was also our lovely server again this afternoon. The $38 brunch menu full of scrumptious small plates was well worth it. Astoria DC is a Sichuan-style restaurant and bar with an ornate, railroad-style space featuring rich colors and moody lighting. It offers fantastic cocktails and food, making it perfect for a date night or a fun outing with friends. The competition was put on notice when the owner opened Astoria, as the cocktail menu is consistent and balanced. The place offers plenty of options for vegetarians and vegans, with cozy speakeasy vibes.
Kitchen was open late and the food was great! Drinks were good and strong too. Accommodating service, make sure to ask how spicy dishes are be a use they can be pretty hot!

Love the rustic railroad style of the restaurant. I had a reservation and was sat right away. Service was great , every staff member that walked by checked on me . I ordered from the vegan options . Noodles were delicious and slightly spicy the impossible beef and tofu was ok and not my favorite. I agree with other reviews that the portion size doesn’t quite match the price. I got a home made lemonade which was delicious however the bartender was making some really great looking cocktails that I’m sure also tasted good.

Went here for a girls night and it did not disappoint I arrived as a walk in at 5 pm and was promptly seated upon opening for my party of 3 with no issues. If you don’t have a reservation I’d recommend arriving early and walking in For drinks, we had a gimlet, and 1 of their specialty gin drinks. They were both delicious and well balanced. For food we had pea shoots, the la zi chicken, chimmichuri steak crab fried rice, Dan Dan noodles, potatoes and salt and pepper eggplant. Ever since dish was unique and absolutely delicious. The shocker of the Jonny were the potatoes which were cut like noodles, spicy, and flavorful! I also loved the eggplant and couldn’t get enough of it! Service was also top tier! Definitely will be back

Astoria is hands down the best Chinese restaurant in town. The flavors are bold, consistent, and everything feels made with care. The mapo tofu is incredible, the cumin lamb is packed with flavor, and the dan dan noodles are a must. Don’t skip the dumplings either — they’re always spot on. On top of the food, the cocktails here are some of the best around and pair perfectly with the menu. Add in the lively atmosphere, and it’s easily one of DC’s go-to spots for Chinese food. You certainly will need to make reservation in advance. Updated Review: We just came back again, and once more the food absolutely hit the spot. The braised pork belly was melt-in-your-mouth good, the crispy basil eggplant was perfectly done, and the watercress dish was super fresh and flavorful. Everything was amazing all over again—Astoria really knows how to deliver consistency and quality.

This is truly one of the best restaurants in DC, every time I go it is a banger. You must try their salt and pepper eggplant and Dan Dan noodles. The vegan noodles are delicious as well. Make a reservation! It's very popular and I know why. This was my second visit here. I went many years ago and the high quality is still there. Very flavorful food. Some spicy, be careful. Cozy atmosphere. We sat in the window counter. Service was good and the staff were nice.

The food was actually great this time (we ordered two different kinds of noodles, chili wontons, and steak ), and our server was very kind and attentive. However, what happened after our meal was completely unacceptable. As we were finishing our drinks, we noticed a maggot crawling on the table. We alerted our server immediately, who was visibly horrified and killed it. A few minutes later, another maggot appeared, and then a few minutes after that, three or four more were crawling on a ledge attached to the booth near an exposed brick wall. While our server and the staff were kind and apologetic, the manager’s response was underwhelming and they initially only offered to comp our drinks. After we explained how serious and unsanitary the situation was, they eventually comped the full meal, which we appreciated. But the biggest concern was that as we were leaving, we overheard them tell another party, “Good news, your table just got up and we can seat you now,” referring to the same table we had just left. That’s genuinely disgusting and unsafe. The maggots alone are a massive health code issue, but reseating another group right afterward is even worse. It’s really unfortunate, because the food and service were good, but until this place addresses the obvious sanitation and pest problem, I would strongly avoid eating here.

Great restaurant. We went and waited for a table and got a drink at the bar. I had the bramble which was very refreshing. Eventually after we sat we ordered the Dan Dan noodles, which are not to be missed. The walnut shrimp and egg plant were also excellent. We tried the crab fried rice which was ok. Very cute space and good food. Staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Not too over priced and a good mix of food to share.

I've been coming to Bar Chinois regularly for their happy hour, and it's become one of my favorite spots in the city. The dumplings here are fantastic, the atmosphere strikes just the right balance between casual and sophisticated, making it perfect for unwinding after work. I also tried their B'C Espresso Martini, which has become my all time favorite Espresso Martini. What really sets this place apart is the consistency, which is honestly rare to find these days. The service is always on point, and the quality never wavers no matter how often I visit. Frank is talented and amazing, and the whole staff makes you feel welcome every single time. Bar Chinois has earned a permanent spot on my regular rotation, and I can't recommend it highly enough for anyone looking for reliable, delicious food with exceptional service.

Absolutely delicious Chinese / French fusion food (and drinks!) served in a gorgeous, bustling space with super friendly service! I visited Bar Chinois for dinner with a friend after she had a great experience at their Virginia location, and we had a fantastic time! We arrived right at the tail end of happy hour so we managed to snag a few drinks and their $1 veggie dumplings ($1 for each dumpling, not the whole order). I’m usually not a huge cocktail person, but I *loved* their Coco Marseille — it was sweet but not too sweet, creamy but also refreshing from the herbs. A+ recommendation from my server! As far as food goes, the dumplings were tasty (and so cheap!), as were the crab rangoons and garlic noodles. The crab rangoons were crispy and perfectly fried, with a tasty and creamy filling that paired wonderfully with the sweet, fruity apricot sauce on the bottom. My favorite thing had to be the garlic noodles, though — so beautifully buttery, with a perfectly al dente texture, and lots of garlic flavor. The cheese is a fun touch, and this dish was truly fusion done right — the French (well, really, broadly Western European) and Chinese flavors paired perfectly with and clearly enhanced one another.

I dined here during Restaurant Week and I’m glad I chose this spot. I sat on the front patio, which was really nice. Lisa was an attentive waitress and helped me narrow down my choices. (I tend to order with my eyes, and then my stomach is like, “ma’am, where is all that going?” 😆) For appetizers, I had the fried pork dumplings and shrimp bao buns. These were just okay, I probably should’ve gone for the steamed dumplings. The pork flavor was faint, and the bao buns were a little bland. They definitely could’ve used more of that sriracha mayo and chili oil 😬. For the entrée, I had the black pepper duck with rice and THIS was the star of the show. Really tasty! Sweet with a kick of spice, which is my favorite flavor profile. Finally, for dessert, I had the matcha crème brûlée. So good! I just wish it had been twice the size 😆 (maybe that’s the big back in me talking 🤣).

Lucky Danger is a Chinese delivery concept that holds dumplings close to its heart, as they have a significant narrative in the owner's family history. The restaurant offers pan-seared pork dumplings with homemade wrappers, which are a perfect start to any takeout meal from Lucky Danger. Customers have been pleasantly surprised by their experience at Lucky Danger, finding the food to be of amazing quality and very affordable. The portions are generous, and the service is excellent.
My boyfriend and I ordered for the Meat OK! for 2-3 and the dumplings for delivery. First off, major props for the packaging! Everything was labeled; the bags and stickers were really cute. The food was also really good. The duck fried rice and crab Rangoon was particularly delicious. The greens could have used a bit more cooking, but were tasty. We loved that it included such a great variety of dishes and proteins (beef, chicken, shrimp, crab, veggies). The portions were good-sized; the two of us had plenty of leftovers.
Renee E — Google review
Decent place, but not stellar. The apps are a good deal, but the main dish is barely more food than an app. I'll have them again, but not going out of my way for it. Wontons we're the best. Nice packaging, so probably more about presentation & delivery than top quality.
Michael G — Google review
I really wanted to love this place; I have a huge soft spot for independent Asian restaurants. I leave this review with regret. Dumplings were deep fried, and a papaya cucumber salad had a heavy, mayo-based dressing. The braised shortrib was good. Chicken & mushroom dish was swimming in sauce, and the fried rice need to be fried harder. Our meal came with a side of white rice, which was apparently left out so long that when the server put the spoon in the bowl, the entire mass of rice was pushed out of the bowl. Rice is so easy to nail, just scoop it from the cooker right before the dishes come out! Also, killed 10 insects while eating, pictured. I acknowledge that most people despise bugs, but I'm not particularly sensitive to it. They were just sort of annoying to deal with while eating.
Gabe F — Google review
Quality of the food was surprisingly good and higher than my expectations! Ordered the family style Meat OK meal for two and there was plenty, plus leftovers for two people. Hope this becomes a permanent location - best Chinese and overall Asian restaurant in Pentagon Row in my opinion. Food is authentic and delicious, and cute branding is a plus. Update: Tried Lucky Danger a few more times since they’ve opened (3-4 times), and the quality seems to get worse each time. Getting burnt food seems to be a frequent occurrence, online ordering/timing seems to be very off, and some things like crab rangoons look like someone’s taken a lazy shortcut. See pics. Disappointing. They have potential but need quality control. One time pointed out our order of scallion pancakes was burnt, and they apologized and offered to remake the food but it was burnt yet again. Stopped giving the place chances.

Not sure why there are some very negative reviews on here. We’ve ordered twice from here and each time the order is packed well, comes with cute stickers, and tastes fresh. Some food delivery apps have coupons for this place from time to time as well. I will say it is is a bit tough to find if picking up though. However, this place is definitely well above your average hole in the wall Chinese take out place.

Not good…I’d rather order from a local Chinese takeout that is family run. Place has gone downhill since Tim Ma has tried to expand. Lots of social media allure…food and quality not sufficient to pricing. Don’t even want to try the new full-service spot in DC that is all over my social media feed. Peking Gourmet Inn is an upscale restaurant located in the Falls Church area of Northern Virginia, near Washington, D.C. Since its establishment in the late 1970s, it has been known for serving Peking duck and Sichuan beef in a refined setting with white tablecloths. The dining room is adorned with photos of famous guests who have dined there over the years.
The Peking Duck is the best, but my friend and I decided to spend less and get three dishes to share instead. The Fresh Garlic Chicken ($23) and Gourmet Chinese Eggplant ($19) were delicious. We found the pork a little tough in the Pork with Spring Onions ($22). Good food, large portions, excellent service.

Beijing Gourmet Inn – A DMV Legend for Peking Duck Renowned for serving the best Peking duck in the DMV area, Beijing Gourmet Inn has been a favorite since the days of President George H.W. Bush. Its walls are adorned with hundreds of photos showcasing visits from VIPs over the years, a testament to its enduring reputation. The restaurant’s elegant, traditional Chinese decor—featuring intricate paintings, ornate screens, and calligraphy symbols of longevity and good fortune—creates an inviting ambiance. Private banquet rooms and large round tables make it ideal for group gatherings. Service is impeccable—attentive and polished. We came specifically for the Peking duck, and it did not disappoint. The house-made wraps had the perfect texture, while the plum sauce offered a subtle sweetness, balanced by fresh spring onions. Layering the sauce, onions, tender duck meat, and crispy skin created a heavenly bite—absolutely delicious! While the Peking duck is a must-order, other dishes we tried—the Mandarin Lo Mein, Jeo Yen Shrimp, and Family-Style Bean Curd—were decent but unremarkable. For the best experience, stick with their star dish. A top-tier destination for Peking duck, with an elegant setting and outstanding service.

I love coming here. It is by far the best Chinese food in the DMV. Reservations are recommended. It’s a beautiful decorated space with lots of seating availability. The servers are extremely attentive and pleasant to interact with. When I go, my group usually gets the duck which is what they are famous for. I don’t eat duck but it’s always served with care. I absolutely LOVE the Szechuan beef proper meal. It’s sweet but also savory. And the eggrolls are amazing. Everyone should come here at least once.

THE BEST!! I travel a lot for work, and I love peking ducks. This place is THE BEST peking duck so far!! I come to this place whenever I am in town. Order chili oil on the side and pour that over the cucumber you get on the side. It is little bit pricey but it is worth every penny!! The fried shrimp is a must-have as your side kick!! Enjoy!!

Overall: 3/5 Food: 4/5 - I came here with a big group and we got a bunch of dishes to share family style. We got the green beans, beef with onions, peking duck, lo mein, and seabass with black bean sauce. While all the dishes were ~good~, it was nothing extraordinary or memorable. The peking duck was good but comparable to other places I've been to and the seabass was disappointing especially for the price (around $50) as it is obvious the fish is frozen cuts (similar to frozen chunks found in grocery stores). Value: 1/5 - The total ended up being around $400. The peking duck alone was $79 and all the other dishes ranged from $30 - $55. Terrible value for the quality, taste and experience that you're getting. Service: 5/5 - The servers were nice and attentive. It was obvious that the lady server was just trying to recommend and push us to order all the expensive dishes but other than that, the service was nothing terrible or amazing. Overall, this place was disappointing especially for the price. Peking duck for $80 is crazy and the $400 price tag is ridiculous for the quality and taste of all the dishes. It seems like all these dishes are comparable to any other chinese restaurant you can find in a random neighborhood. It seems like this place is popular because of its "history" and due to the fact that many famous people have visited, but the food, value and experience do not match the pricetag or expectation.

The skin of the peking duck was not crispy because it was very greasy. I felt like i was eating a grease as my sauce. The shrimp was bland today. It could've used some more seasonings.
Jina K — Google review
One of the best Chinese restaurant in the area. The Peking duck is wonderful. I enjoy watching the server carefully slicing and serving the duck. Almost like an artist. The hot & sour soup and egg rolls are very good as well. Planning to go again for my birthday! Thank you to Peking Gourmet!!!

Asian fusion restaurant
CHIKO is a fusion restaurant that combines Chinese and Korean cuisine, offering unique dishes like pork and kimchi potstickers, spicy bulgogi stir fry, crispy chicken spring rolls with Chinese mustard dipping sauce, and Orange-ish Chicken. The menu reflects the collaboration between chefs Scott Drewno and Danny Lee, featuring recipes that blend Korean flavors with Chinese dumpling techniques.
Do not sleep on this place, amazing! But come with a bunch of people so you can order a bunch of the menu to share. The spring roll was one of the best, killer brussel sprouts. The wings just play compared to it all. Get the chicken main, bulgogi was delicious. The cold noodles was good but not great. Had great cocktails as well. The dumplings were all quite delicious, go for any of them.

Went for dumpling happy hour on a whim when I was in the area. It was great! Decent prices ($5 for 3 medium sized dumplings), but the real benefit was the taste. I recommend trying each type of dumpling. Very saucy and crispy but perfectly cooked inside. There was only one other person there when I went around 4:30pm so no wait time either.
Abigail A — Google review
Dumpling happy hour from 3-6pm and plenty of additional delicious options. Loved having locally brewed beverage options and the blood orange gose was perfect on a steamy day. I am delighted to have a new go-to option in DuPont. It’s only two blocks from the Q St Metro stop, too.
Anna J — Google review
Ordered takeout from here. Got the chicken fried rice which was really good! It had lovely chunks of bacon in there. I also tried the soup which was flavorful and a good amount of spicy. I’d probably go back and sit in the store. Portion sizes are worth the price!
Nyanka K — Google review
Flavors were not subtle: very strong, definitely high on salt and sugar. Some of it had a slightly burning feeling in my throat. The fusion is fine but if you're not used to food that rich, it's a bit much on the body. Service was appalling, with the aloof waitress cleaning tables by spraying from a distance and splashing nearby customers. The very rusty staircase leading up to this place needs fixing soon. Bad acoustic, the place gets really noisy with just a few tables. All in all, I'd do take out but I don't enjoy being in there.

One thing that never disappoints is the Chiko dumpling hour. Their sauces are always to die for, dumplings are fresh, and drinks are delicious. Their spiked asian pear cooler is so delicious and super refreshing and combined with the chilled peanut noodles it is really the perfect summer meal. Also the stir fried rice cakes was so perfect and its just a really wonderful and vegetarian friendly spot I love to come back to.
Thrisha M — Google review
So good. We had the cumin lamb stir fry, shrimp lo mein, spicy bulgigi, soy glazed brisket, fried veggie dumplings and napa cabbage kimchi. There is a veggie and gluetin free menu that makes ordering with allergies so easy! The cumin lamb stir fry, shrimp lo mein and spicy bulgigi DELICIOUS! Well seasoned, scrumptious and filling. Highly recommend. For most, the cumin lamb stir fry will be very spicy. If you like spicy food, that's a must.

Went during restaurant week and had an incredible meal for $40! Counter service and first come first serve tables but the food punched far above its weight. Highly recommend the spicy cucumber, smashed salmon, and coconut custard.

Caspi Restaurant and Lounge is a vibrant destination that promises an unforgettable experience for those looking to unwind. Guests rave about the exceptional service, noting how attentive and quick the staff is, ensuring every need is met promptly. While some diners have opted not to sample the food, they have enjoyed top-notch hookah and drinks that are served swiftly. The ambiance is lively, enhanced by a fantastic DJ who curates an eclectic mix of R&B and dance music—perfect for setting the mood.
I hosted a 21st birthday gathering for my son at Caspi. We were a party of a little over 20 people. We all had an awesome time. The food and drinks were good. We got there at 7pm and they had a pretty decent playlist but the party really popped off when the DJ arrived. Hookah was nice, drinks and food was flowing. Last but not least, and more importantly, the Staff were amazing. The Staff was so attentive, pleasant and responsive to every request. Shout out to security (cowboy hat) for being a pleasure as well, as usually that's not the case with security. Thanks for making my son's 21st such a lovely event. Thank you all.......

We just came into town and was looking for a place to grab a bite to eat, I seen the steak online and had to go even though it was kind of like a bar, we had a great time. Everyone was very friendly and the service was amazing.
Shannon R — Google review
My only takeaway from this place is : small space with too many people. I was shoulder to shoulder with people. I could barely smoke my hookah because it was so crowded. The ambiance was nice, the dj was good, I looked at the food, but didn't order any. The food looked and smelled good
Sidney K — Google review
Waited 30 minutes just to order a drink, mind you I was sitting at the bar its a yikes moment, the vibes are cool. Dj is on point & so is the hookah but as a New Yorker its like damn, they need bartenders. It's cool though I guess
Angelina A — Google review
We recently celebrated a birthday party here, and I have to say, this was by far the worst experience of the year—and the year just started. First, it took an entire hour just to place an order for birthday shots, followed by another hour for only half of our party to receive their drinks. The remaining drinks trickled in another 30 minutes later—so much for a timely toast! The staff was completely incompetent, unable to fulfill a simple drink order in under two hours. And the food ordering process? Even worse. Our waiter was clearly unprepared to handle a group. Instead of taking everyone’s order at once, he walked away from the table four separate times, dragging out the process to a ridiculous three hours just to order food and drinks. Ironically, the takeout order was the fastest thing we received the entire night. This place might be fine for kids or individuals who don’t mind subpar service, but for anyone who values their time and money, it’s a hard pass. The atmosphere screams “under 25,” and the service quality is just as immature. To top it off, the bathrooms were disgusting—filthy, smelly, and lacking hot water. There were only about 15 people in the entire restaurant, yet it still took three hours to get our food. And when it finally arrived? Just okay at best, overpriced, and heavy on the grease. No vegan options available, either. I will never return, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone 25 or older who expects even basic quality service.

We visited Caspi last night for some shisha, and it was an amazing experience. The menu had a great selection, and while we didn’t order food, we tried a milkshake that was the best one we’ve ever had in Canada – it was exactly like the picture! The shisha was top-notch, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. The service was excellent, and we definitely recommend it. We’ll definitely be coming back! We stayed for almost two hours, and from the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed. They even provided cards for us to play with. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we can’t wait to return to Caspi!

NS is amazing !! He made homemade ranch sauce that was excellent. Drinks was delicious thanks to Tom !! Will definitely be back. Hookah was amazing. My sister definitely enjoyed. 5 stars hands down. Must try.

Made a reservation 2 weeks in advance and the day before my reservation. They email stating my booking was denied. They claim that they called me to confirm but they never did . This place is very janky and don’t put their customers first. They picked and chose who they wanted to serve and denied my reservation without any communication. They claim they called and got no answer but I have zero missed calls for them or email or text message stating to get back in touch with them at the timely fashion.

Nestled on 14th Street, Nama Ko is a modern Japanese restaurant that redefines the traditional brunch experience. This unique spot offers an enticing menu filled with innovative dishes like spicy chili crunch shrimp gyoza and lemongrass chicken dumplings, alongside sushi rolls and congee-style shrimp n grits.
I went here a few months ago and forgot to leave a review, but I think about this meal so often I had to come back and do it. The tuna sampler is a MUST TRY. One of the best things I’ve ever eaten. Heritage pork gyoza was also 10/10, incredible sauce. We also got Nama crunch tacos, fried rice, and chicken katsu. Everything was phenomenal. Cool bar. We got an old fashioned- delicious and they smoked the glass at the table which was super cool. I think I remember there being a bit of a wait between dishes but we didn’t mind.
Alyssa M — Google review
A group of seven of us enjoyed quite a feast here, and while the prix fix menu was a bit uneven, the sushi, specials, and cocktails more than made up for it. The modern decor and vibrant energy makes this a great place to enjoy a Japanese meal in the U Street corridor. The sushi we had were all pretty creative, well presented , and delicious included the Candy Cane, Almost Paradise, Orange Crush, Flamingo Royale, and the Pink Lady. Desserts were the only memorable and enjoyable part of the prix fix, very unique and flavorful without being overwhelming in any one dimension. For the cocktails, I would recommend the Smokey Mt Fuji (a variation of a smoked Old Fashioned) and the Americano (variation of a Negroni). Really fun evening, highly recommended especially for groups.

We had New Year Eve omakase experience here and it was so wonderful! The food was great and the service was very attentive. We also felt very privileged that the executive chef Derek personally prepared all the dishes right in front of us and shared with us knowledge about dishes and ingredients, etc. Overall highly recommend it!
Phuc H — Google review
Jenna is an excellent server. She gives fast, friendly, knowledgeable service. The dessert of soft serve was great. The pork belly was sort of strange. I didn’t love it. The sushi was the usual US style sushi. Nothing specials The space is large. And I wish they would go away from Japanese food and make it more international food. I heard the cooks speaking Spanish… maybe make the menu reflect more of all of America?
Mikkela T — Google review
Very delicious! Fish is top notch. I actually had a hair in my sushi roll but they immediately replaced it and apologized. Stuff happens but it's all about how the restaurant handles it! Management staff was on top of everything. Loved everything we ate. Will definitely return.

Highly recommend this place for a nice bougee brunch while in DC. The place was calm and had a great ambiance with a great ambiance. They have bar seating and table seating. Their sake bomb drink is a nice shareable drink that you can enjoy with friends, and it comes with a great presentation. Food items that I highly recommend are the chicken dumplings, pork bao buns, chicken katffle (katsu chicken and waffles) and their yuzu creme brulee. We loved the dishes so much, we had seconds. Their menu is styled to be shareables for the table so it allows you to try multiple dishes which all lived up to the standard.

BEST SUSHI EVER! The Sake (Nigiri king salmon) is truly divine. The location, atmosphere, and people create the ultimate dining experience you have to take part in. I’ve literally been back four times in two weeks and I could eat here at least 3x a week easily. The appetizers, sushi, rolls, and drinks are phenomenal and the staff….AMAZING. Thank you to Aziz, Starla, Sue, etc. for ALWAYS making this the best possible experience for all of my guests! This is one of those places you bring anyone you want to show a good time, with great food, in an ideal location (DC).
Donovan G — Google review
14th and U desperately needed good sushi and this place delivers. on the pricey side for sure ($10 miso soup!), but the service and food was really well executed. honestly, the octopus nigiri was fantastic - fresh, clean, wonderful flavor. rice done right with a light umami to balance the octopus. the ceviche was done well- bright and light. the namaste (crab + sweet potato) and debutante (eel + avocado) rolls were both really good - didnt need soy to put them down. finished it with their miso/truffle/caramel soft serve. decadent, but super interesting flavors. good addition to the neighborhood.

Dumpling restaurant
District Dumplings is a new addition to the mall's food court, offering authentic homemade dumplings and traditional Shanghainese cuisine. The menu includes a variety of steamed and pan-fried dumplings, such as Peking duck, bulgogi, teriyaki chicken, and even flounder. Customers praise the generous portion sizes and flavorful fillings. The cozy cafe also offers vegetarian options and has become a popular spot for both dine-in and take-out orders.
I love the dumplings here, so many different combinations to choose from. I always eat in when near. It’s in a strip mall probably does a lot of take out or delivery. Nice people nice place great food. Must try

The Bulgogi Steamed Dumplings were sticking together which could be a result of the following: improper dough, filling, cooking, or storage. They also were falling apart which led to an unpleasant eating experience. Lips felt greasy after eating this dish. Enjoyed the Honey Jasmine Green Tea Drink, atmosphere, and customer service. Went to KungFu Kitchen immediately to make up for the District Dumpling visit.

This eatery gave me a compelling reason to give 5-stars. They were pleasantly polite and respectful. The place was extremely clean and had a friendly ambiance with tidy table. I enjoyed the food which was ready in 10min. Overall, a great experience. Enough parking available if you drive.

Decided to stop here for a quick lunch. The restaurant is small and cute they have a chalkboard wall with the menu on it. We ended up having some soup dumplings and assorted dumplings to try. The dumplings mostly were good some of the flavors I didn’t care for but hubby liked. Though the dumplings tend to fall apart fairly easily if you don’t eat them in one bite.

District Dumplings has an amazing selection of dumplings at incredibly reasonable prices. They offer a wide variety of steamed and pan friend dumplings, including seldom-seen choices like flounder and Peking duck, along with Xiao long bao. All are generously-sized and packed with flavor, hand-cooked to order. The prices are so good, too! The cheery cafe has a handful of tables and they seem to do a brisk take-out business too. I'll definitely be stopping in whenever I'm nearby.

These are some solid dumplings! There isn't as much variety, but the dumplings they do have are delicious, and perfectly fried. We tried the bulgogi dumplings and the Pork and Celery dumplings this time. The pork and celery were good, but the bulgogi one's were fantastic!

Dumpling District, located in the Luna Food Hall, offers a variety of delicious soup dumplings that are worth the wait. The rainbow platter allows you to sample different flavors and is highly recommended. While the food is exceptional, some visitors have noted issues with the cleanliness of the bathroom facilities. Despite this, many patrons find the experience of watching the dumplings being made right in front of them to be quite enjoyable.
Great made-to-order soup dumplings and shui mai. Each were made to order (see photo) so be prepared to wait a few minutes (well worth it) for your order. I didn’t like the scallion pancakes were deep fried instead of pan fried. Very greasy. The stand is located in a small ‘food court’ area in Chinatown full of other Asian food stands.
Oliver L — Google review
We stopped at the Dumpling District located in Chinatown inside Luna Hall late at night for a snack. The security guard for Luna Hall warmly greeted us and explained to us the setup of Luna Hall and what was available to us. The front area of Luna Hall was a bar/club and the second half was a food court with a few places to select from. Dumpling District was located at the very end and was one of the few places there that still offered food an hour before Luna Hall was closing. We ordered the Rainbow Soup Dumplings which was their soup dumpling sampler that consisted of one of each flavor that they serve. The six dumpling flavors were pork, chicken, mala, crab meat and pork, shrimp and zucchini, and black truffle. The order took a little of time to receive but they seemed to be steamed to order as they came out very hot. Everything was pretty good. The dumplings were flavorful and pretty tasty. The crab meat and pork was my favorite. I want to mention that the Mala was a little spicy which was not indicated on the menu for those of you that are not a fan of spicy foods. Overall, the dumplings were pretty good for a late night quick stop eatery.

First time here. The guy taking orders could have been a bit nicer, but it really appeared as though he just didn't want to be at work today. The food was delicious, though! Our group tried the Rainbow Soup Dumplings, Chicken Bao, Pork Potstickers, Scallion Pancakes and the Pork with rice bowl. We have zero complaints about the food. Despite the mediocre service, we would definitely come back here.

I love the rainbow dumplings. I tried the shrimp pork and vegetable wontons in peanut butter spicy sauce bc they were free w the dumplings on Uber Eats… I seriously think it’s the BEST THING I EVER ATE. this is a big compliment coming from a foodie such as my self. Perfectly spicy, salty, and savory. They put a lot of meat in their dumplings and they are very filling. PLEASE NEVER CHANGE UR DUMPLINGS ESPECIALLY THE PB WONTONS. I was moaning the whole time I ate the meal lol

hey. What an unpleasant experience, I arrived at 9:25 pm, in poke ninja they didn't want to sell the food, according to them they were no longer selling anything, at the entrance a person (tall man about 45 years old) with a rather rude and negative tone yelled at me that they closed at 10, there were 35 minutes left and apparently they didn't want to sell anything at all, neither food nor drinks. How sad, I had liked it a long time ago, but I came back and my experience was very bad. I don't think I'll go back!

Food court atmosphere. Ordering was easy. There was a bit of a wait for the food. While not the best I’ve ever had, their xiaolongbao were still good and filling. I was full after the first five. Kind of expensive.

Inside a small food court. Food is ok but nothing to rave about! You order your food at the kiosk and they call your number when it's ready. There are enough tables since it's not too crowded. In the same food court, you can find a boba place, a ramen shop and a bakery. There's also a bar at the entrance of the food court. The setup is a little unusual.
