Tea house
Boba Tree Cafe in Anchorage is the perfect spot for creating your own boba drinks. They offer a diverse range of options including milk teas, smoothies, and espressos. The staff is known for their exceptional service, making customers feel right at home. Visitors rave about the rich and delicious boba with surprisingly juicy popping pearls in flavors like strawberry and mango.
We always buy our boba drinks and smoothies with them because they make delicious drinks and the staffs are always nice and friendly 🥰

I really wanted a smoothie with popping pearls, but I also wanted food. They had gimbap and musubi I got one of each but the lady had given me two gimbaps 🥹 quyana!
Natalie J — Google review
This place is so cool! The lady that runs it is extremely sweet and always quick. I've been there a few times, and the food is always a hit. Also worth mentioning, the pricing is really great.
Mulumook O — Google review
This is my favorite smoothie place, a good tasting smoothie for maybe half the price of one from a mall. They use fresh fruit and have interesting flavors. The environment is very friendly with music playing in the background and a fish tank. They don’t only sell smoothies, but also musubi (which I’ve heard is VERY good) and even ice cream! Over all I’d really recommend going here to try their smoothies!
Jaylynn — Google review
Ordered their Boba tea in the flavors: Taro, Honeydew Melon, Sour Green Apple, Strawberry, Thai Tea & Mango. Came out so fast and so yummy too! Thank you.
Liezl J — Google review
My family and I are a huge fan of this place, the owner is very friendly and welcoming to anyone who walks in her Boba cafè. But today's experience was the worst. It appeared to be a young youth who is managing the shop, he was friendly but still appeared to be judging my sister and I the whole time he makes our drinks. After he made our drinks, he did not take accountability on the drinks he made, didn't inform us what happen or even take the time to remake two of my smoothies that appeared to be a 16oz in a 24oz cup. He just smile and didn't apologize. When confronted he just smile and said he attempted to make two drinks and that was all that amount to and just say thank you for coming. I was not happy with his customer service or his response, as a person who works in customer service, I make sure I take accountability of my mistakes. I however stated his service was the worst, left angry and upset.
Loyal T — Google review
The person taking my order was so sweet i hope she has a great week the drinks are delicious and the musubi is amazing
Roux — Google review
Got a taro almond milk tea. It was like drinking sugary water. Almond milk is usually thicker in consistency so I’m confused why my drink wasn’t thicker. They didn’t give me enough ice in my drink. The drink was so warm that all the 4 pieces of ice I got melted as soon as I stepped outside. A lot of the reviews rave about the smoothie boba so I would try that if I was you. Employee was really friendly

Bear Bubble Tea is a charming spot that specializes in an array of bubble teas, each crafted with perfectly cooked tapioca pearls that strike the right balance between chewiness and softness. The inviting atmosphere, adorned with beautiful decor, makes it an ideal place to relax or catch up with friends. Patrons rave about the friendly staff who are eager to share their menu knowledge and offer recommendations.
Absolutely love this place! Bear Bubble Tea has some of the best drinks in town — super flavorful and perfectly sweet. The mango drink was so refreshing, and the boba was just the right texture. We also tried the musubi and it was delicious! The shop is cozy, clean, and has a great vibe. Fast service and friendly staff made the visit even better. Definitely coming back!
BELLA L — Google review
Stopped at Bear Bubble Tea and tried the yogurt blended with whipped foam, banana, honey lemon, and green apple. The drink was light, refreshing, and hands down one of the best bubble teas I've ever had. The flavor combination was unique and well-balanced—creamy, fruity, and just the right amount of tartness. The shop itself is super cute.. However, the wait time was very long, so I’d definitely recommend ordering ahead if you can. Highly recommend if you're looking for a unique and delicious bubble tea experience!
Janine W — Google review
Love this place. Good prices for the quality of drink youre getting. Never disappoints, but it can get busy during rush hours- though when you do boba this good it's not much of a suprise.
Jas — Google review
Learned about this place from a Instagram post and promptly drove over to try it. Thankfully I got there during the open hours, since they are currently in their soft opening. It was awesome! The shop is so cute, the server (boba barista?) was very nice and gave me a recommendation. I got the #2, the classic milk tea because I needed a little afternoon pick me up. There are about four tables to sit if you want.
Carmen G — Google review
Amazing!!! I wasn't expecting how cute and amazing this place is. I'm not a bobba lover, but they have many options. Including a slew of unique caffeine free options, coffee, smoothies and traditional milk teas.
Sami W — Google review
Great customer service. I really enjoy their drink menu, they're all refreshing and great tasting. My favorite is the Thai lemon ice tea 😋
D. U — Google review
Cute boba shop in a popular area of town. The boba is top quality and the drinks are delicious. I appreciate the different toppings (tapioca boba, jellies, custards, ect.), as well as the non-dairy milk alternatives. The Black sesame was delicious!
Elizabeth A — Google review
What a great new spot for bubble tea and other fun drinks! We got the strawberry aid and unsweetened jasmine passion fruit tea with strawberry popping pearls. Both drinks tasted super fresh and flavorful, the aid even had fresh fruit in it! The inside of the shop was very clean and super cute as well. I asked if the drinks were customizable for sweetness level and was told that they are so that’s a plus for someone who doesn’t like overly sweet things! I’m excited to have a new go to spot, especially with summer approaching 😊

If you're looking for both bubble tea and sushi, Yogo Delight is the perfect spot. They boast over 80 4-star reviews from their satisfied customers, and they offer a variety of sushi rolls and other soul food items. Their baked potato is especially amazing - it has tons of cheese and bacon in it! The Korean restaurant also offers bulgogi, kimbap, and other great food options.
Delicious smoothies with the option to add boba, popping pearls, or jelly to any drink. The owner (i think) is super nice and welcoming too.

Finally got to try this place and it's a gem 💎... I've tried a handful of things off the menu and everything is delicious and made with care... the quality is outstanding and the lady (owner) is so nice! I just tried the kimchi fried rice (bulgogi) and it's a 5/5, I take my fried rice SERIOUS... that delicious egg over easy on top of that crisp/spicy kimchi rice🤤, so glad I tried this place🥢🙏
Spider — Google review
I ordered a strawberry smoothie, cheese fries and dumplings. The smoothie was not very flavorful and tasted watered down. The cheese fries were inedible. The cheese was a congealed blob and the fries had no taste or salt. The dumplings were actually pretty good tho. The food and drink were very expensive and not worth the price. Don't think I'll be back. Cute atmosphere and nice lady working tho.
Melissa C — Google review
Me and my boyfriend came here just to get a bite to eat but we got wonderful service, the woman was very nice and was very helpful. We got the mild ramen and while it wasn’t very descriptive the items were really good. As dessert we got the Alaskan shaved ice, however it’s not like shaved ice as much as it is some kind of shaved milk? Very good I highly recommend.
Angel B — Google review
Food was delicious! Drinks a little pricy but worth it for quality. Tried kimbob crab and it was amazing! Huge portion for price. Fresh made and delicious. Five star korean joint for drinks and food. Highly recommend it!
Candace M — Google review
Cute little shop. The food was just as good as it looked. Colorful and yummy. The drinks also hit the spot. Everything took a while to come out and a line formed while we waited but it was only one lady working and she was very nice.

Such a great place! The anesthetics of the place are super cute. There's even a great photo opportunity down the hall, past the bathrooms. Their menu has a decent variety, and the shaved ice is delicious!

i really love their kimbab, I've tried sausage, veggie and bullgogie. (veggie in the pic) for the price I wasn't expecting that many pieces, luv it! When i order the strawberry lover shaved ice I didn't know what to expect for the price, but IT WAS WORTH IT! a lot of strawberries, condensed milk, strawberry pearls, and the shaved ice ñaaaam. delicious!! the atmosphere while i was waiting for my food was comfy, kpop music playing and a comfortable sofa;)

Restaurant
Snow City Cafe is a popular and vibrant eatery in Anchorage, known for its creative breakfast and lunch offerings. Established in 1998 by local restaurateur Laile Fairbairn, the cafe has become an integral part of the city's food scene. The menu features delicious dishes made with locally sourced ingredients, reflecting the region's upbeat atmosphere.
Everything about the experience was impressive. From the hand-offs to the food itself, it all just felt so well-orchestrated for such a popular spot outside a major city. Yelp itself could probably use some work, as our app crashed during attempted a remote check-in attempt, but the terminal at the restaurant was flawless and our estimated wait time was accurate to the minute. Our server (Hana) was helpful and quick. I wish every super hyped restaurant could run this smoothly. Did I mention the food was delicious? The food was delicious.
Zach A — Google review
This is a famous breakfast place in Anchorage. You can call in and get your name on the waiting list which is a great idea. Went there on a Sunday and it was really crowded. We literally waited almost 2 hours for a table.! Weather for breakfast, but really ate lunch. Went there for the crab Benedict and it did not disappoint. It was absolutely amazing. Huge portions, especially the hashbrowns. Dee was our server and she was amazing and incredibly cute. The hostess staff were incredibly patient, considering the stress of how crowded it was and how many people were waiting. They will call or text you when your name comes up if you leave your phone number.
Tom K — Google review
I was recommended this place while in town. I have found the food in Anchorage to be hit or miss… This was a hit. I came in during a breakfast rush on a Friday. The wait was long, so I scoped out the counter area and when a couple people left, I grabbed a seat. The service was fast. They made me a delicious latte that was served quickly as I mulled over my breakfast choices. I chose the biscuits and gravy, hash browns, and a side of bacon. Even the orange they used as a garnish was delicious! The biscuits and gravy were a perfect texture and had a good amount of biscuit to gravy. The hashbrowns and bacon were both excellent. I had left leftovers and heated them up for lunch later in the day and the biscuits were still great!
Taco E — Google review
Very popular at breakfast time. We did not have to wait for a table, but it got busy quick. The food was delicious. Service was great. The atmosphere was fun and quirky.
Stephanie P — Google review
Such a fun vibe! The staff here is incredible and super friendly. The food is top notch! If you are in Anchorage and looking for a breakfast/brunch spot.....make time to come. Get on the wait list or definately have time....we were here a couple of times during our week in Anchorage and saw up to 45-ish min of wait and other times just sat right down. We had coffees from here a few times and breakfast that was fresh and so tasty. The stuffed French toast with berries...I nearly licked the plate...we also got the egg Benny with a bonus stack that was just yummy Yummy Yummy! Every bite was tasty!
Jolinda — Google review
Snow City Café absolutely lives up to its reputation as Anchorage’s #1 brunch spot! I stopped in for breakfast and quickly realized why the place was packed so reservations are definitely the way to go. I sat at the counter and had the pleasure of being served by Deenju, who was fantastic in helping with selections (though, let’s be honest, when it comes to sticky buns, how much encouragement does one really need?). I tried the half-and-half Benedict, one classic and one with smoked salmon, and while both were delicious, the smoked salmon Benedict was hands-down my favorite. The sticky bun was a must, rich and gooey, and worth every bite. The hardest part of the morning was simply deciding what to order, because the entire menu looked incredible. The energy inside was upbeat, the service top-notch, and the food outstanding. If you’re in Anchorage, this place is a can’t-miss. I’d say it was love at first bite and the start of a beautiful friendship.
William D — Google review
Great food, great Mimosas, and great atmosphere. Mariah was our favorite! ALWAYS smiling and so friendly and professional. She's an employee every company would dream to have. Take care of her- she's a keeper! Be prepared to wait. What many people I think didn't realize is when the bar opens up you can sit there first come - first served. We were on the list to wait at least an hour but as soon as the bar opened up we sat right down. We also got their delicious coffee while we waited as they also have a coffee bar in the waiting area. So far, the best place we've found for breakfast in Anchorage. I'm told during the summer there's a line around the block to get in so we got lucky coming in late September!
Jason O — Google review
Food is absolutely delicious. It’s a popular breakfast place in town, and very busy. Would not recommend if you are looking for quick service. Got the polar bear dish with French toast and Canadian maple bacon.

Coffee shop
Nestled in the historic Kimball building, which dates back to 1915, The Kobuk offers a delightful blend of nostalgia and charm. This cozy café is not just about coffee; it serves up an array of espresso drinks, teas, donuts, pastries, soups, and sandwiches. As you step inside this quaint spot located at the heart of downtown Anchorage, you'll be transported to a time when life was simpler.
Wowza- this place is a gem!! The donuts are THE BEST old-fashioned ones I have EVER had. All the flavors were amazing- especially the fireweed and blueberry!! Super fresh! Love the gift shop too- try the house made tea- it is phenomenal- they give you a warm, free sample as you browse the gift shop. They even have a back patio with fire pits- love this place!!!!
Nicole W — Google review
We stopped in here twice on our visit to Anchorage. Once with a food tour, then again on our own to get another donut and the samovar tea. They have fresh old-fashioned donuts in vanilla, birch, fireweed, cinnamon. We had them all and they were all delicious. It is a great little shop with all kinds of gift and souvenir items.
Amy S — Google review
⭐️🐻 Support Local! The absolute cutest coffee shop and gift shop! Tons of local Native Alaskan and Canadian made finds! Beautiful Alaskan Jewelry & Earrings without the price gouging (it’s double the price at the Museum down the block). Make sure you check out the adjustable copper bracelets in the case too! Artisan glacier soaps, souvenir photo frames, teas, ornaments, chocolates, children’s gifts and more. The Coffee Shop is also apparently really good with scrumptious old fashioned donuts - but just missed ‘em since they closed early on Saturdays.

Cute shop! We ordered Cortado & peanut butter brownie. It was lovely.

This is a quirky gift shop with a coffee/doughnut shop almost hidden in the back! They also have a backyard seating area for enjoying the coffee and apparently beer! Being a guy that loves doughnuts, I was hoping for a great one, but I have to be honest and say I was not impressed by their doughnuts. VictorB

This was our first time visiting this store and I’m impressed! They have a ton of gifts from candy, to magnets, funny sayings/quotes, soaps, candles and more! We didnt get to try the bakery/coffee shop out though. Nina was super nice and gave the kids free candy samples as my wife shopped around. Great environment and friendly people, highly recommend!
Markel G — Google review
There's SO much to see here! There's such a variety of cute gifts, souvenirs, and knick knacks you can certainly spend a while browsing through it all. The café is the backside of the shop is nice, too. I enjoyed the Rose Garden Iced Tea Latte special. It wasn't very big, but was certainly delicious. I think in the future, I'll ask for light ice.
Elizabeth A — Google review
So I heard so much about this place (reviews, YouTube, tour manager, fellow travelers). Thus, I can't leave Anchorage without visiting it. I was set to taste the famous Samovar glazed and Fireweed glazed donut. I was expecting something that tastes extraordinary, but it's just okay for me. Could it be that it was not freshly made? Like not fresh from the oven, I was expecting that it would be hot and tasty as what the other described. But nope, I was disappointed and couldn't really differentiate it from other best tasting donuts I had. There were 4 customers, including us, when we came. The cappuccino we ordered took a while to get served. I didn't order the famous Samovar tea. I was able to taste it, though (there's a free tea tasting within the store area). And I can say that Samovar tea is just as what they hype it for...perfectly blended if I may say. I love it and it is worth buying for your stash of tea or as gift.

If you're on the hunt for a culinary adventure in Anchorage, look no further than the Shanghai Tea Garden. This gem offers an array of authentic Chinese dishes that will tantalize your taste buds. From their impressive Steam BBQ Pork Bun to the delightful Shanghai Fried Rice and sweet treats like Steam Red Bean Paste Buns and Sesame Balls, every bite is a celebration of flavor.
Honestly the best Chinese in anchorage. We had a few different dumplings and mapo tofu. It’s a little slow, but it can be excused because it’s on the spot. The food was phenomenal. Straight up. Will absolutely be back. I recommend the xiao long baos and spicy wontons!!!
Kaden — Google review
Went there today with the goal of ordering a cake. Walked in and was met with rolling eyes from the lady behind the counter after asking one question. I noticed a bakery area to the side with a glass display for their desserts but the display had no baked goods but instead a large can of red bean paste with growing mold. I do not recommend this location as it presented itself to lack customer service and the ability to follow food service guidelines. One star because zero is not possible.
Godzilla — Google review
Nice place. Great service. Food was very good. Had broccoli beef and cashew chicken. Both were good.
Bondgirl42 — Google review
I had never been to the restaurant before. I was excited for dim sum. I placed an online to-go order. I arrived well after the pick up time to find they had not even started prepping the food. The fact I had to wait 35 minutes honestly isn’t even the issue. The issue is: this place is incredibly dirty. The restaurant itself was completely cluttered with what looked like spoiled food in their fridge. One of the employees had their charging phone resting in the stack of to-go boxes. The same boxes they then grabbed to pack my food. I honestly didn’t even want to eat any of the food once seeing the place and seeing a bacteria covered iPhone resting in to-go boxes. Against my better judgment - I tried some of the dumplings. The sesame balls were saturated in oil. The “pan fried” buns were barely fried - just steamed. The rest of the stuff I sampled was honestly pretty gross- but maybe I was just totally turned off by actually seeing the conditions of the restaurant. I won’t be back.

Real authentic Chinese food. Very delicious!! Depending on what you order it might take a little while to get your food. But the wait is totally worth it!

Dessert take out! Very very satisfy! Call ahead to order! We ordered red bean bread, coconut bread, green bean tart, pineapple tart! We love it all!
Jia H — Google review
Walked in to dine in did see sign to seat yourself but seats that had no one were either dirty or said reserved. Waited 10 min for a server or anyone who works here and when I did finally see someone it was a women who looked at me and rolled her eyes. Needless to say will never go back. I get having a rough day but if you give me attitude let me have done something to deserve it.

Indigo Tea Lounge in Anchorage offers a relaxing atmosphere and a wide variety of tea options, including black, green, white teas, and bubble tea. The food is freshly made and delicious, with a cozy yet open ambiance perfect for a casual date or gathering with friends. The menu isn't overwhelming for newcomers to tea but still offers plenty of choices for enthusiasts.
We had a bridal tea here this past weekend and it was wonderful! So many fun flavor choices of tea, but the goodies are awesome!! Nice area for individuals or a small group. I never knew about this place. Go there, you won’t be sorry!
Pamela S — Google review
Got the afternoon tea service at 1pm on a Sunday for two people, which was $90. It took almost an hour just to get our tea- no one came to take our order until about 1:40, then another 15-20 minutes until the tea came out. It was another 10 minutes for the pastries/food to arrive, and no one came back after the initial drop off. They were accommodating with a vegetarian request, which was nice! My own personal opinion was just that the desserts were very very sweet, did not taste different from each other, and didn’t have much flavor. The savory options were good! We also did not get any utensils (like a spoon) for our tea or the trifle that came on the tray. I was hoping for more of an English teatime experience, and this was more of an Asian fusion. My fault for not recognizing this before reserving, and I’m sure some people would enjoy it! I probably will not come back for the tea service, but definitely would love to try their boba.
Bea — Google review
A really interesting place. I got the afternoon tea service and was sat at a cute table in the window. I was offered a put of tea and a tray of many sandwiches and sweet items that were all delicious. But once I had my tea and my snacks I never saw my server again. When she was here taking my order and delivering things she was delightful, but after she dropped off my snacks she was gone. I sat for an hour nibbling and sipping to my hearts content, but at the end of that hour, teapot and plate empty I sat for another 20 minutes, waiting to pay the bill, even though I would actually love more hot water for my tea pot. Also no cream, butter, or jam for my scone. It was a lovely scone but I ended up taking the whipped cream from another dessert to place on it.

We had such a fun time at Indigo! All the food was made there and was all delicious. The atmosphere was open, but still felt cozy in our corner table. The tea choices were perfect - not too many, so it didn’t feel overwhelming if you’re new to tea, but had plenty of options if you’re a connoisseur. I will definitely go again and again when I’m visiting Anchorage! Our server Quinn was helpful and super nice. I would recommend everyone try it out for a different and fun experience!

I ordered the tea service to go today for my birthday and I'm really wishing I didn't. For 2 people it was $90 and I was expecting a good amount of treats and sandwiches with tea. I had a time to pick up I setup a day in advance and I had to wait about a half an hour after my pickup time for my order. They were extremely slow and seemed unorganized. The amount of food and the quality was laughable. For the amount of money I paid I was expecting better. For the tea I wasn't even advised on temp or time for making it. For a tea place I would have at least expected that. I definitely will not be back, I feel I wasted my money trying this place. It was even Halloween themed and it was just lacking creativity. Two of the cookies even tastes old, they were hard as rock. Deviled egg was bland and I couldnt even tell what was on the open bread. I ended up making dinner on my birthday for myself it was so disappointing.

Had an absolute magical experience at the Indigo Tea lounge with my girlfriends. They had their Chinese New Year special happening this weekend. We got to choose from a list of Chinese teas then each person received a tower of food to sample that symbolized good luck and prosperity. It was definitely worth the price! I can't wait to go back and check out one of their regular services!

A nice slice of heaven if you love your teas. They're sure to bring you a steaming cup till the last drop. The finger foods were a wonderful treat. They compliment any tea you would get. Be sure to always finish with a strawberry toast.

Zack's Famous Frozen Yogurt is a cozy spot with a variety of food and drinks, from ice cream to smoothies. The boba tea and popping boba on the soft serve are highly recommended for their deliciousness. Despite an extra charge for whipped cream when not requested, it's still a great place overall. The oreo milkshake is incredibly tasty and reminiscent of drinking an actual oreo. Their frozen yogurt is consistently good - creamy with just the right amount of tartness.
i ordered a blueberry sundae and it was delicious! wanted to leave a review because the woman who served us was kind and made the sundae look so cute. worth a visit 💕

They have a 12 oz espresso on the menu, which apparently isn't actually a thing. Ordered a 12 oz black coffee and got a cup of instant coffee. $3 for instant coffee? Not coming back to this place b/c I'd rather not waist my money.

It’s worth a visit! I really like the vibes at this place, they give me cozy vibes! The food and drinks vary from ice cream to smoothies. All of the food and drinks that we tried were amazing. I would recommend to get the boba tea or pooping boba on the soft serve, it is simply delicious! The only thing that disappointed me was that we asked for no whipped cream and they still charged us that extra money. Great place overall!

Yumm yum yummmm.. Their oreo milkshake is so sooo.. tasty. If you like the oreo cream, you will die by this shake. It literally tastes like you are drinking an oreo. I always get this when I go to the mall. Their frozen yogurt is always good, very creamy, a little tart like it should be. I hope they bring the banana flavor back some time. Two thumbs WAY up!

Customers rave about the customizable acai bowls that are always fresh and delicious. The elote is also highly praised for its top-tier quality. The friendly staff and warm customer service add to the inviting atmosphere of this kid-friendly establishment.
I found this place's facebook page while we were driving home from our wedding in Seward and cried laughing over their posts most of the way home. forced my husband to drive me across anchorage today just to try them out because of their socials. The service was great, the staff was pretty and so nice, and the food was excellent. We got an acai bowl & elote. Owner's social media is 5000/10 and she's so unhinged, I want to be her friend, but I'm awkward so instead I'll just laugh at her posts and eat her food.

Boba drinks are my favorite and they have Vietnamese coffee with boba. That's a win for me! I tried the traditional elotes but wasn't a fan. The Cheetos elotes, my husband and daughter liked.

I absolutely adore everything I've tried at Soyo! It's very clear the owner Kelly puts tons consideration, hard work, and love into each product on their spectacular menu! I brought my coworkers after our shift to get some well-deserved snacks most recently, and not only was everything made to perfection and so, so delicious, the customer service was warm, welcoming, and very friendly! I LOVE the ube milk tea, the toppings bar has some of the best variety I've ever seen in a froyo shop, and the elotes are divine! The shop is very clean and tidy, and I love that masks are required. Kelly is amazing, and kills it every single day. 💖

I seen the nice pic they posted on their website, it’s a lie. They don’t sell ice cream or cones. When I went there w/ my child a lady working the front was very stand off ish when it came to letting my child taste the yogurt before purchasing, I ask for 2 small cups, she only have us 1 & when I asked again she gave me an attitude. I also go to order I made it clear I wanted a Taro w/ Boba & besides telling me anything; she makes my drink then I look like “where’s the Boba?” The Asian lady then says “extra, it’s extra” & I’m like that’s fine, I’ll pay for it. Then another Asian comes out, she’s pregnant saying “oh , we’re out.” & I’m like yeah? but don’t you think that’s something you would say to the customer so the customer can decide if they still want to pay for a drink there, if the main ingredient is missing? They didn’t do anything to make the mistake right so I’ve learned my lesson & will now only to the 1 in Muldoon (Fruit Land is the BEST) SoYo Yogurt Shoppe only care about the peoples $ & that’s it. The Taro tasted plain, & bitter honestly a waste of time / $

Absolutely delicious treats and amazing service! We had a holiday party for work and I was in charge of organizing the desserts. Grizzly Donuts LLC is a charming, family-run bakery located in Eagle River that has gained a reputation for its delectable selection of donuts, including their standout mochi donuts. Visitors rave about the soft and fresh glazed twists, which offer the perfect balance of crunch and fluffiness. While some may find the prices on the higher side for toppings-only options, many agree that these treats surpass anything from grocery stores or large chains.
This place has amazing donuts! The drinks are also very good. There's an ice cream bar with several flavors. The owner is also very sweet. If you haven't tried mochi donuts before, you have to get them from here, fireweed honey is the best. They're also made throughout the day (the mochi donuts specifically), so if you're getting there late, don't worry!
Madalyn — Google review
The donuts seem expensive for only having toppings and not fillings. The icing was thin/runny and got onto other donuts and some slid off when picking them up to eat. The apple fritter was more like a donut than a fritter, but the flavor was good. The donuts are light and airy. My favorite was the Cinnamon Toast Crunch, it added some sweetness and crunch to the donut. My husbands favorite was the s’mores because it was super sweet with a rich chocolate flavor I would stop in again for a single donut, but I wouldn’t order a dozen again.

Omg the donuts and teas are so good here! I wish they were closer to our house! Our favorite is the mochi donuts!

Grabbed a couple glazed twists here on my way to Anchorage. They were soft, fresh, and delicious. Glare was crunchy and not humid and soft. They were exactly what a raised donut should be. (Though the crunchy glaze MAY not have been the best choice for the car, but that's MY bad choice). The experience was far better than anything at a grocery store or the unnamed large chains.

The BEST boba I've ever had. I'm super big on presentation, and this looks SO PRETTY! I got the Tiger with boba and crushed oreo, and I really like how the boba is super squishy, and it just overall tastes super good. By far the best boba drink I've had!!

Kinda bummed about my experience after reading reviews. I added boba to my Thai treat and for the extra amount it seems like I got very little boba and what I did get is SOOO mushy. ☹️
Rhiannon B — Google review
I’ve had a lot of friends & family tell me to try Happy House Tea, and they did not disappoint! They recommended that we put coffee jelly in the Thai Treat drink and it was sooooo delicious but just a little watered down for my liking! I really love how soft the boba was!
Ashlee E — Google review
So far my favorite boba place in Alaska. The tea is so creamy and the boba is sweet with a great, chewy texture. I got the classic milk tea, quarter sweet, and I could not get enough of it. We also tried the Thai Treat. The creme brulee addition added even more softness to the drink--definitely recommend.
Shaun L — Google review
Being a boba-saur and allergic to the corn powders, I feel like I'm a target picky reviewer. With that being said, most of my favorite drinks were made from the powders. The rose hip earl grey tasted like candy with way to much sugar. The joyful Jasmin boba tea had a comprehensive balance of sugar to tea. The boba proportion to the tea was absolutely perfect. Bobo is fully cooked and tasted wonderful. Vibe: We had to drive through the suburbs to get to a dirt lot with storage container pop-up shops. There was a coffee pop up shop located next to this boba shack. They seemed rather busy and there is a little bit of a wait, but overall their service was wonderful so we are happy with the experience.
MyT L — Google review
Most unique coffee hut in Anchorage! If you're coming here, you're most likely going for the Boba! The Boba here are a to-die for. The wait is typically longer than most huts, but the drinks are truly worth it. Now for the uniqueness.. this hut is right off the main road, but is surrounded by trees. This give it that amazing nature asthetic while waiting in line. Beautiful! I recommend this place if you're a nature/Boba lover! Even if you don't like Boba, the drinks alone are truly magnificent 👌
Billy R — Google review
Overpriced mediocre drink. The tapioca balls were too hard in my drink. Definitely not worth the wait. (Classic milk tea with boba is $7, plus tip my order was $8) The girls work at the window are very nice though!

The food here is excellent! I was only in town for one day but I went for dinner and then again the next morning. I got the vegan ruben and didn't think I would like it because I am not a fan of sauerkraut, but it was like melt in your mouth amazing!

Middle Way Cafe is a modern restaurant in that you irder your food at the register and then seat yourself. We ate there foe breakfast and if you ordered drip coffee or water, you serve yourself. When you are finished with your meal, you clean your own table by clearing your dishes. We had a group of 9 and the average report for the food was a 4 out of 5. I got the western omelet and it came with home fries and toast and it was $19.95 prior to tax. Overall, I would recommend and eat there again.

MUST try their GF DF carrot cake cupcakes. Amazing. Wait time On food and coffee will Be unreasonably long usually. Sometimes the food is super amazing and sometimes you’ll have to ask them to remake it. We’ve been coming here for 18 years and still love it even when it can be bad sometimes. In anchorage this is my favorite cafe as they have amazing options and the best hot beverages. However: the gluten free cookies and cupcakes and other treats they have are absolutely the best in town. They have different GF treats whenever we go. I love their selection. If only other places had such amazing gf treats. Not sure about their food options. Their matcha latte and coffee are just bomb. Service is either amazing and lovely or some atitude depending on who you get. We usually the the lovely people!

I am sick to my stomach and really hate to write these kind of reviews. I got a breakfast burrito from here this morning and as i was eating it something just tasted REALLY off and spoiled. I looked inside the burrito and immediately realized why as I pulled out a bunch of extremely old & spoiled avocados from my burrito (that I paid almost $22 for) very sad as I am so grossed out, they had to of known they put these avocados in my food as they were making it.

So many gluten free options! There were lots of gluten free baked goods. I tried the gf banana bread which was super tasty. They also had gf chocolate chip cookies, carrot cake, cupcakes, lemon bars, and strawberry jam bar. I had the tofu stack for breakfast (gf and vegan) which was very good. Would definitely come back!

Omg this place is everything! I was traveling in Anchorage for two weeks and ended up coming here at least 4 or 5 times — that’s how good it is. We mostly came for breakfast and lunch, and it quickly became a staple for us during our stay. As a vegetarian, I was so happy with how many options there were — not only plenty of choices, but everything felt fresh, healthy, and made with care. The food was consistently delicious every single time. The vibe of the café is also just perfect: cozy, cute, and modern without being pretentious. It’s the kind of place where you feel good hanging out for a while. The staff was always welcoming and kind, which made the experience even better. Honestly, I could not recommend Middle Way Café enough if you’re in Anchorage — whether you’re looking for a great meal, healthy options, or just a place to relax, this is the spot.

Excellent customer service, fast, clean great atmosphere. I got a braise beef soup, mocha cake and shu mai. I got the pork and shrimp and it was good. My second time here and it’s always packed, I’ll need to try more food on the menu’s. I’ll go back for another visit

Came in for lunch with friends, and we all enjoyed our experience. Food was flavorful, and the textures were perfect. The environment is very clean, and the food came out at a good pace. I got a desert to go but it wasn't to my taste, it wasn't sweet at all. Not a complaint, but just a warning if you're expecting a sweet treat.
Dean — Google review
I have always loved the cake here, and i asked if we can do a special order since i live out of town but still within the state. I asked if we can pack it a bit more secure than they usually do because i will be having it delivered through air cargo and they said they don’t have anything to stabilize and not to worry because the cake will be secured. When i got it, it was all pushed to one side as you can see in the picture. Flavor was still good but if they can find a way to secure the cake with cake dowels or something to keep it from shifting during delivery would be amazing. If that were to happen, i would most definitely keep ordering cake from here just to have it delivered out of town. If not, then i guess the only option for me is to just fly over and pick it up myself.
Japheth F — Google review
Ordered the Bean curd roll, spicy seafood noodle soup, sesame salad with chicken and beef chow mein. The bean curd roll was so tasty and was amazing! The beef chow mein was also noteworthy! However, the sesame salad was too sweet, though the chicken wasn’t bad. The spicy seafood noodle soup lacked flavor and was not super spicy. Also got eggs tarts, but they were not super flaky… This restaurant is still pretty nice and is very affordable.
Alyssa Y — Google review
The food was decent. I got the BBQ beef short ribs—chewy, as you'd expect from this cut, but they could’ve used a bit more flavor to really shine. The rice and veggie mix on the side was fresh and tasty, which helped round out the plate. The place has more of a food court vibe, and the table I sat at was a little sticky. The staff seemed a bit tired but still friendly. Overall, it didn’t quite live up to the hype for me, but I’d come back to try a different dish and give it another shot.
Josh E — Google review
I really wanted to see what the food was all about since I heard this is where the best Chinese food was at. I got the $15.95 per plate Mongolian beef and broccoli chicken. I wanted it to be good but it wasn’t, so dry and salty! The meat was a bit rubbery and why is my food mixed together with my rice? Can that not be separated? The cashier was unpleasant too, felt like she was rushing me, and seating was just too crowded.
Kimmiee T — Google review
I came in a busy time for lunch but the line was quick so I have no problem with it. First thing first you have to do is look for the menus they put on their wall and order it from cashier. You have to do it quickly because the people behind you keep coming

Jimmy's Sushi Restaurant, located in Anchorage, offers a taste of New York-style Japanese cuisine under the guidance of owner and Executive Chef Jimmy Zhou. With nearly 20 years of experience, Chef Jimmy creates sushi that is not only delicious but also visually stunning. The Pink Lady roll, featuring crab and avocado wrapped with salmon, tobikko and scallion with yuzu and mango sauces, comes highly recommended.
Went there for my sons birthday for the first time and was very impressed. Service was fast and nice, food was great and just loved the vibe. Tried quite a few different items and loved each one. Even the octopus sashimi was good. And they so graciously brought my son complimentary fried Oreos as a happy birthday treat without us even asking!
Natasha S — Google review
I ordered sushi there a few weeks ago and it was not good, it was poorly made and was not as it said on the menu. I gave them the benefit of the doubt because I have heard such good things but tonight affirmed that I will not order from here again. Tonight I said let’s try their Chinese food, and I spent almost $100 on four items, and they came in styrofoam containers that were practically 1/3 full. The orange chicken and general tso’s chicken, both were mostly just breading, some pieces didn’t even have a piece of chicken in them and if there was a piece it was tiny and dried out. The sauces came on the side and the general tso’s was just the chili oil sauce that was too hot for anyone to eat. The pineapple fried rice had chunks of what looked like canned pineapple, and the rice wasn’t even fried it was like white rice with a dash of soy sauce….. The only thing that was somewhat okay was the lo mein, even that wasn’t great and there wasn’t enough in the box for 4 of us to have, which for $20+ I expect a full order. I’m not sure if they have just gone down hill, or if they came under new management, but I will not be ordering from here ever again. Way over priced, skimped on servings, and just not good food.
Caitlin M — Google review
$26 for some fried rice and the box being barely even half way full is INSANE😂. I was shocked when i ordered almost $50 worth of food and it looked like this. Went to kennys the next day and all i can say is $17 fried rice and and i ordered the samd shrimp fried rice and they filled it so much ut barely closed. Never going back to this place again. Also i walked in here and it smelled like someones old house. It didn’t smell very pleasant. I’m extremely disappointed i wasted my money here.

This is the first time going to the “new” Jimmy’s for us. We were regulars in Eagle River. I highly recommend visiting both locations! We were a big fan of the Anchorage establishment as soon as we walked in. We ordered our usual rolls and they were consistently delicious, and perfectly made! The staff were excellent and even recommended a new roll for us to try! 10/10!!!

We visited this restaurant with an open mind and expectations aligned with its high rating, but unfortunately, our experience was quite the opposite. From the moment we were seated, the service was noticeably lacking. Aside from receiving water and soup initially, we were not attended to at all and eventually had to get up and request service ourselves. Meanwhile, we observed our server promptly seating and assisting other tables who arrived after us, which was both frustrating and disappointing. The server's demeanor was far from welcoming. While the food did arrive relatively quickly, it did not meet our expectations in terms of quality or taste. The chicken hibachi, in particular, was underwhelming and not something we would recommend. Some of the sushi rolls were decent, depending on the selection, but overall, the freshness fell short. Regrettably, this experience did not justify the trip or the price. We had hoped for a much better dining experience and, based on this visit, we would not recommend this restaurant.

Everything from costumer service, to the food, to the cleanliness of the restaurant and workers were all so amazing!! The food was so yummy! It didn’t take as long, but I could tell they made with love and effort. The rolls were so good. The fried ice cream was to die for! My husband had the mango sticky rice, which he liked it very much. I wasn’t a fan. The workers were so kind. You know how normal servers asks “How is it?” after you take the first bite? We’ll, they didn’t do that, which I like. The price was so decent, not too expensive. Overall, the best sushi place I’ve been to thus far.
Serita U — Google review
It was 1pm and we were told that we couldn’t order lunch because of something going on in the kitchen so we could only order entrees. Okay that’s a little weird but I still want to eat so we stayed. We ordered 2 sesame chickens, one with fried rice side and one without fried rice side. Which is a 3$ up charge, and it still came out with burnt bottomed rice. So how does two 18$ meals go to 50$? Okay that’s fine, they are busy and just didn’t realize. Well all of this is okay, but once you charge my card for an extra 10$ for a tip that I left 2$ on is absolutely diabolical and disgusting and I will be contacting owners and managers. This experience needs to be fixed for the upcoming customers this place could have.
Lebron — Google review
I ordered hibachi for takeout. Their hibachi is probably the worst thing. I've ever eaten. Just cloves upon cloves of garlic. All of the food was thrown in the container almost like it was trash and even with all the garlic it didn't have any real flavor or seasoning. Honestly for as much as I spent. I think this is going to keep me from buying from them again.

House of Bread Anchorage is a bakery that produces natural, fresh-tasting products. They use wholesome ingredients and natural processes to make their breads, rolls, and sandwiches. Their coffee is average but their sandwiches are really good.
We were looking for a quiet place to eat some lunch and get some work done. House of Bread was perfect. With a sunny patio to sit on, a filling sandwich, yummy baked treats, and hot coffee, we enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back. Would have better photos, but it was too delicious to delay eating...

I ate here when they first opened and thought it was fine, but coming back recently I really enjoyed it. The fireplace and seating is cozy and offers good options for conversation. The bread tastes very home made and hearty, I had a bowl of their roasted pepper soup and thought it was really, really good. It comes with two pieces of whatever bread you'd like on the side--not just a piece cut into two reasonable, but two full pieces. All for under $10. Seemed like a good price for a good meal. The cinnamon rolls they had on display looked especially delicious, I just didn't have any room to try them!

Don’t waste money here at the main location First photo is a half sandwich for $9.75….thats not even a half of a half Second photo is from continental suburus hob location inside the dealership $6.75 for a REAL half of a sandwich same sandwich notice the difference? I sure do

Read reviews before our trip so had to visit. We got to Anchorage and picked up our Camper Jeep nearby then stopped by for a sliced loaf of sourdough and some cookies and bars for our camping trip! Today we are traveling home and stopped by before returning our jeep! We had a cinnamon roll with nuts, drip coffee, water and an Alaskan Fusion Panini (I think that’s what it was called) on sourdough! We also got lemon bars for the flights home! Everything is so fresh and delicious! I wish we had places like this in Central Florida! The girls that work here are very helpful with sharing what they like and suggest. There are only a few employees in there at a time so have patience! Must visit on your Alaskan adventure!!

We love this place for hearty make-your-own sandwiches! You can even try bread samples! They have pastries and drinks for sale, as well as whole bread loaves. Small seating area, single bathroom. It stays busy so be prepared for a line!
Alexandria S — Google review
Ugh, I really want to like it but it's just another lackluster Anchorage eatery with a dingy atmosphere and poor service. Ordered half veggie sandwich and salad combo. Being the only person in there it felt like the order took way too long to come out. Bread was good, sandwich ingredients...decent but they put mayo on instead of cream cheese spread which is kinda gross when you're not expecting it. Salad looked great and fresh, loads of home made croutons but the pumpernickel ones could have broken my molar. I tried 3, each harder than the next and some I couldn't even chew. Vinaigrette was far too sweet and gooey. Tables and floor were dirty enough to think that they didn't even clean the night before. Went to wash my hands on the way out and surprise, no paper towels in the bathroom. Makes you irritated that you decided to tip at the register before even getting the lousy service and experience.
Greg D — Google review
The food was great and tasted awesome. It really hits the spot when you're craving a good quality sandwich. The young lady taking orders definitely seemed like we were interrupting her and would've been much happier anywhere else but at work. Otherwise, the rest of the staff interactions were good.

Dino's Donuts is a local gem that offers a wide variety of delicious treats, making it hard to choose just one. Customers rave about the after-hours delivery service and the delightful surprise of childhood favorites like apple fritters. The donut selection puts major chains to shame, with unique options like peanut butter and jelly or fruity pebbles.
For a long time I heard! Best donuts are at Dino’s! Well I finally went! I took my whole family and we each got a donut. Now I agree! Best donuts in Anchorage are at Dino’s! It is a bit hidden but worth the find and there is good parking back there! Look for the Donut sign on Old Seward! There are a lot of options here besides just donuts! Good menu but I can only speak for donuts so far. 5 stars!
Kenny M — Google review
As a former donut shop baker/ operator, this place is very disappointing. You walk in and are hit in the face with the stench of old stale grease. The color of all the donuts is way off like they were left over from the day before or maybe 2 days. I cracked open and old fashioned that I paid $2.50 for a donut that should be $0.80 It was solid grease on the inside. Absolutely no dough. Just soaked with stale grease. Absolutely terrible. They need to find a Cambodian Baker to show them how to make a donut. Not sure how this place is still in business. Oh yeah and throw that old grease away and put in some fresh.
Chris — Google review
I only come here for the donuts and gravy which is relatively cheap and delicious. Never been told that they're out either so I keep coming back. The donuts aren't bad either -I like the blueberry frosting one they make. Shop is nice and quiet and would make an excellent rendezvous point.
Slim C — Google review
I was so excited to visit Anchorage and my first stop was Dinos. I was pleased to see all of the decor, but the donuts looked NOTHING like they used to. They used to be big, fluffy and has frosting. Now they were small, looked so greasy, the frosting was so thin, like a glaze and the taste was no where as good as it used to be. What changed? I had gone to this donut shop for over 10 years and it was always consistent. I did give it a second chance during my visit and I was so sad to have wasted my time and money. I LOVED the fluffy, pull apart deliciousness the huge apple fritters used to be. Now they are so GROSS, greasy, small chunks of dough fried!!! YUCK!!
Dani N — Google review
I used to get incredible apple fritters here. My husband and I got two to go this morning. Perhaps the girl gave me the wrong ones because there is absolutely no apple in either. I don’t think there is even apple sauce. They are basically a fried junk of dough with glaze. Yuk! For the price and what we were given, we do not plan to return. What happened to the delicious fritters of the past?
KK — Google review
Lately the donuts seem to be lacking flavor 😕 I ordered a PB and J and a maple dino bone. I was happy that the dino bone came in a different flavor but the flavor was more granulated sugar than maple and the PB & J tasted only of granulated sugar and minimal PB. The service was great though and the atmosphere was lacking, I really wanted something more than a paper towel to wipe my mouth and hands with. I appreciate the stuff done for the community but really a dive for atmosphere! A few updates could set any donut shop in town apart from the others! Additionally, always apprehensive of businesses that encourage cash but charge for use of the ATM!
Bernie H — Google review
Their donuts are amazing. I had their turkey sandwich for lunch. Came with chips, potato salad and a pickle spear. My pickle spear wasn't crunchy is my only complaint. Its was such a fun intimate place to go get some snacks and a bite to eat. Going to recommend their cereal donut or their maple donut. Also, cash is king!

Nestled in Anchorage, Royal Thai Restaurant is a hidden gem that offers an authentic taste of Thailand. Known for its fresh and generous portions, the pad Thai and pad see ew are standout dishes, featuring handmade noodles and ample servings of chicken or tofu—perfect for sharing or enjoying over multiple meals. The cozy atmosphere adds to the charm, making it a favorite among locals seeking delicious curry and other traditional rice and noodle dishes.
This little gem is the best! I have never had a unpleasant meal or experience. The food is always the very best.

Traditional small Thai restaurant catering to rice and noodle dishes. They also serve Pho here. Very small restaurant with limited indoor seating area. Take out seems to be the favorite choice here. We were welcomed right away. One lady was running the front end by herself, very friendly and helpful. The order came out surprisingly fast. Even though it was fast, it was fresh and wholesome. Good portions, so good value for price here. There's a spice tray at each dining table, so you can adjust your own heat level. Their Thai tea is also yummy. I left here delightfully full. Great place for a quick bite or small party.

I’ve tried many Thai food restaurants for the past 20 years. Yet none of the rice noodle tastes like their home-made rice noodles! I was impressed with the tenderness and smoothness of their noodles! Also well-flavored. Friendly service was provided and they accepted mobile payment. The only problem I had was the beef being a bit chewy and hard to bite through.

Upon entering the restaurant I was greeted by Thea. She seated me then and brought a menu. This was my first visit and Thea helped me pick out a couple fantastic dishes. It never fails though as halfway through one dish I remember to take pictures. The restaurant consists of a clean small seating area with a relaxing feel, friendly staff, and great food. I would recommend the Pad Pak, Yakisoba, and the fresh rolls.

Delicious food, good service & a relaxing atmosphere. The quality of the food was on point. I loved how the veggies were cooked just enough so they were still crunchy!! The noodles in my Pad See Ew were soft, chewy & delicious!!

I was very impressed by this Thai restaurant. It's a little hole in the wall and my favorite food is curry so I have a goal of trying all the Thai places in Anchorage. I have not been to all of them but so far this is the best. The curry was Which filled with Picts and flavor and was perfect! Also bag rolls and noodle dishes were perfect as well. We got our food within minutes of ordering. I recommend this place as a quick go to to get awesome Thai food.

We arrived at 5:45 on a Friday evening and there was only one other couple. Nice cozy setting. Ordered there and food came very quick. Wife got the green curry in spicy 2 and I got the chicken Pad Woon Sen in spicy 2. The green curry reminded me of jungle curry in Railay Thailand. It was good. The Pad Woon was spicier than the green curry and almost gave me hiccups. It was good. I’d recommend to go again.

Ice cream shop
Dairy Queen Grill & Chill is a classic fast-food chain known for its soft-serve ice cream, signature shakes, burgers, and fries. Customers can enjoy items like the 6-piece chicken strip meal and turtle blizzard. While some have noted that the oil used to fry the chicken could be fresher, overall, the food's taste and texture were satisfactory. The restaurant maintains a clean and tidy environment both inside and out for dine-in or drive-through customers.
I've been here five times since my last review. Absolutely exceptional customer service for takeout! Please keep these employees! 12/18/24: Ordered inside for takeout today. Everyone I interacted with was exceptional. Update: Recently I have been going through the drive-thru. Service is definitely improved, through the drive-thru.... Customer service is definitely lacking. I watched/heard the person making food be super rude to the cashier(Anthony). All the cashier was try do was take care of my order....because I had been waiting for over ten minutes to receive my simple order. That cashier needs to be commended! After waiting forever for my food. At no fault of the cashier, the fries were luke warm. Because the cashier was going through so much and provided customer service with a smile.... I didn't want to bother him.

Believe the reviews, don’t get food here! I’ve been here 2 times. Ordered in drive thru and it wasn’t too busy. This time I came around 6pm on 2 July 2025. 1 burger was not in my bag and all others were cold. The whole store was staffed by teenagers too busy talking their ears off, specifically the young blond gentleman.

Yeah we had a gift card given to us from brother in law from lower 48. We were quickly reminded why we don’t eat at Dairy Queen. We went inside A FAMILY OF 5 MIND YOU!! Ordered food…45 minutes later they asked us, “did you eat yet?”They forgot all about us!! I do not exaggerate with my story. We were teaching our kids grace and being patient with people at a typical, good help is hard to find, fast food joint. This was certainly the place to it. It shows by who is running the place. They were very sorry but extremely incompetent. I have had similar extreme experiences in this particular drive through…..we were eating free anyways but DO YOURSELF A FAVOR and skip this one. Food was decent once they made it, but it was pushing the hour…. I don’t appreciate this, but I never was rude to the employees. There would be no gratification to my life with it. I believe they won’t change because I watched them do more nonsense while I was there. The teaching opportunity for our kids was grace with people and what not to do. = Don’t eat fast food at Dairy Queen and learn to work hard.

Ordered dairy queen and got dairy queen. Cant beat chicken tendies with the white gravy when youve already eaten it.
William D — Google review
I loved the bun and the burger was small. The fries, however, were room temperature. Since I was there mainly for a burger and blizzard, I didn't say anything, but it's always disappointing to get cool and limp fries instead of hot and crispy. The pumpkin pie blizzard on the other hand was the bomb.
Penguin S — Google review
We stopped at this Dairy Queen and ended up waiting over 40 minutes for our food—without anyone letting us know there would be a delay. When the food finally came out, we were told they were out of Flamethrower sauce for the burger. That should’ve been communicated at the register, not nearly an hour later when the food was being served. The assistant manager was cool and did what he could to make things right, which we appreciated. But by that point, we were frustrated and just left without eating. Communication and customer service definitely need improvement.
Logan F — Google review
I'm extremely disappointed, I used to love Dairy Queen but not anymore. The place has gone downhill and fast, the service was terrible and the person who was helping me was very rude. On top of that the food was horrible and definitely NOT worth the $17 I paid. I got handed two different meals that were not mine and I also had to wait over 20 minutes for my food when I ordered online. I will never be giving them my business again, if you read this I highly recommend that you spend your money elsewhere.

Nope, no, thank you now making this review, came here yesterday. I keep giving this restaurant faith, absolutely not. BELIEVE THE BAD REVIEWS. McDonald's is a beloved fast-food institution that has been serving up delicious burgers and crispy fries for decades. Established in Anchorage, Alaska, on July 2, 1970, it marked the beginning of national chains making their way into the area. The first location opened at the bustling intersection of Arctic and Northern Lights boulevards, followed by a second spot on DeBarr Road that became notable for being one of the largest McDonald's in the nation at that time.
What more can you want from a McDonald's... Busy mid town location, the staff is wonderful. I wish I got the one drive thru guy name, but even with a busy breakfast rush he still cracked a joke to make the wait good and it help start my work day off to a good start. Wait times can reflect the fact its a busy location. But the food is fresh and again all the stuff is great. I usually go for breakfast or a quick grab lunch if my work day is hectic.

As a delivery driver, I sometimes lose all motivation when picking up orders from your restaurant. The same situation happens every night after 10 PM: the lobby closes, and the restaurant operates only through the drive-thru. Why do couriers have to wait in line for 30+ minutes just to pick up a prepaid order? The average payout per order is $5-6, yet I waste valuable time and miss out on other deliveries. Why not keep a dedicated window open for couriers so we can quickly pick up orders as they are ready? Instead, the pickup window is closed, over 20 orders pile up (as seen in the photo), and both couriers and regular customers are forced into the same long line. The consequences are: 1. Food becomes inedible. Fast food loses its quality and gets cold within 10 minutes of sitting in a bag. 2. Traffic hazards. The entrance and exit to the restaurant, especially from Northern Lights, get completely blocked by cars. 3. Courier workflow is disrupted. We shouldn’t be wasting 30+ minutes just to collect an order that could have been handed over immediately. The solution is simple: the courier pickup window should remain open after 10 PM and not depend on the manager’s mood—open today, closed tomorrow. This would benefit customers, couriers, and your business alike.

Did a mobile order and had paid to have my order in 2 separate bags. The front counter attendant first told me she didn’t see where it said two bags. So I showed her. She then put them in two separate new bags set my order on the counter and went back in her stance to bag orders. After checking my order I thanked her and she ignored me 😂😂 poor customer service, very childish 🤷🏾‍♂️ if you trained your staff better they would know better

Took my nephew here today before our Saturday endeavors. Service was great, I had the pleasure of using a computer to order so I didn't have to interact with another human. We decided to eat in. While we waited for our food, I was surprised that they brought it right to the table! Even though they forgot my sauce for the nuggets and I had to fill my own drink, and the drink station was all out of straws - the fact they didn't ask me for a tip when paying made it all worth while. Definitely will return.

It took over an hour and 3 different managers/associates to get any food at all. One male employee said he had it taken care of and then clocked out and sat at a table next to us in the lobby. The only thing he gave us was our drink cup. All of the employees were yelling at each other and all but one of them are completely incompetent. The last young man who helped me finally got our order to us but only gave us the burgers and we had to ask for the remaining items in our order, including the ice cream that the first employee had promised us an hour ago. This is by far the worst McDonalds location and experience ever!!!

China Town Restaurant in Anchorage, Alaska offers an authentic Chinese dining experience with popular dishes like lo mein and hunan beef. The restaurant is known for its extensive and impeccably clean weekday lunch buffet, providing a wide selection of flavors. Customers can also avail of their speedy delivery service. The restaurant is Chinese-owned and operated, consistently providing excellent service. Patrons have praised the good food and attentive service, with soft and tender chicken being a standout feature.
I now have reason to drive government hill is for the lunch special. Out of this world delicious and hot. Best lunch special in long time and I will be back. Thank you for putting love into making delicious authentic Chinese food! Sesame chicken and fried rice.

Good presentation looks great, however the food itself was very cold. The Chinese doughnuts were delicious. The best thing we ordered from there. The fried dumplings were okay. Tasted better. The shrimp fried rice was cold, mind you we were the only customer there for dine in. It tasted very plain and the shrimp wasn’t cooked enough. Portion size was huge. Ratio of rice to shrimp was too much. Only had like 7 small shrimps. The D7 I got, the fried rice was also plain and cold. The sweet and sour chicken was very greasy and also cold. The crunch was good though. The egg roll was also cold, wasn’t good. For the chicken chow mein, the noodles were hot but the chicken wasn’t. It was salty but was the only food out of everything that had taste. Food was quick to come out. Confused why they’re cold though. Hospitality was good. She refilled the water and asked if everything’s still okay.

The food was good but very saucy. Our fried rice was drenched in the Mongolian beef sauce, and it was kind of unappetizing towards the end. We shared the D1 meal combination and had to pay $2 extra to substitute the sweet and sour chicken for the sesame chicken. The egg roll the meal came with was more like a spring roll, much smaller than an egg roll. The service was friendly and quick.

Ordered online for pick up. It’s not super busy due to the weather. They missed my ticket had me wait in the lobby. On the ticket it clearly says would like steamed white rice. They still out fried rice in the to go box. This was cleary tso or another type of chicken made for another order and was re-seasoned. To be orange chicken. It be one thing if the food was great. But all of the inconsistencies have made it so I can’t recommend sitting down or placing a pick up order. And i certainly will not be eating here.
Travis S — Google review
We usually go to our other spot, but today was Sunday and they were closed, and we decided to try out Chinatown, was not very pleased, the Mongolian beef was very minimal beef, an abundance of onions in it, the sweet and sour chicken was loaded with the “sweet & sour” sauce, was flavorless chicken, we ordered fried dumplings, and they were steamed instead of fried, just was very disappointed with flavor. And quality of the food. 2/10 I do not recommend unless you want to waste your money. Almost every person who ate left a bunch of their dish, not appetizing, and unfinished

I thought this was a typical American Chinese food place, but I was pleasantly surprised to find they have an authentic Chinese menu. The 辣子鸡 (La Zi chicken) is actually more like 椒麻盐酥鸡 (fried chicken with pepper salt), and it was fantastic. The 水煮牛肉(Boiled Beef in Chili Oil) was also authentic. The real star, though, was the owner's 茶叶蛋(tea eggs) they are perfectly marinated and absolutely delicious.

Food is great. My total was 25$ but for some reason I was charged an extra 2$ and they wouldn’t allow me to pay at the restaurant when I got there and forced me to pay over the phone. I get it’s 2$ but for you guys to illegal take money like that isn’t okay

We ordered two lunch combo plates. My sweet and sour pork, fried rice, and vegetable chowmein was good. My wife had almond chicken and she said it was disgusting. We overheard the cook talking loudly on the phone to a food supplier telling him his chicken was smelly and rotten and he can't wash the smell off. The man on the phone said not to throw away the rotten chicken he would come get it. Needless to say we were grossed out overall.

Carl’s Jr. is a popular fast-food chain known for its wide selection of stacked burgers and meal combos, as well as delicious shakes. It's one of the larger burger options available at fast food restaurants, and they offer lettuce wraps for those with gluten issues or looking for a low-carb option. The restaurant also provides tasty fries and offers great deals through their app. While some customers enjoy the California double cheeseburger, others feel it doesn't quite measure up to other chains' offerings.
I use the App to get great deals! Even with special requests, they get it right. Great burgers. But c'mon ~ Christmas music in July?! - Updating.. got breakfast recently.. pictured: the Monster breakfast biscuit.. and love the little Bonus in my order of Hash Rounds.. this breakfast hit the spot! Food was cold. Fries(unsalted) tasted and felt like they were cooked and hour or longer before I got them. Both large fries were not even 1/2 full (pic attached) Chicken sandwiches were room temperature at best... My recommendation? Avoid this location until they provide better food quality and the quantity that you order. If you order a large, open the bag before you leave. Sad that management/franchise ownership allows such poor quality.

The lady at the drive-thru was rude and never said hi, sorry and bye but i understand you had to hire people who were not supposed to be hired especially in this season. They didn't have my order and gave me a wrong one at first. I said i got a wrong order and they asked me what i ordered and i showed my confirmation email with a list of orders, burger with lowcarb, Monster Biscuit and onion rings with bbq sauces. But she didn't read it well and gave me a wrong one in the second time and i said it's wrong again. And i verbally reminded her what i ordered and she said no worries, it will be coming out. And at the Third time, i didn't check it up and just left because i thought they at least have a modicum of common sense. And when i came back home, i got a burger, onion rings and a raw onion in a box instead of a Monster Biscuit. RAW ONION in a box. Besides, All the foods; bacon, patties, cheese and even the onion rings were not warmed up and cold like they just came out from its storage. (As you see the photo, the cheese wasn't melt, fat on the patty wasn't melt and looks horrible.) I think they were upset to me and tried to piss me off. And congratulations! You guys made it. These foods are not eatable at all and i threw them all into the trash can.

The food was good, but the customer service was not. Clearly, the girl who served me was having a bad day. She was extremely rude when speaking to me. Not only that, but when I tried to grab my receipt, she took it, crumpled it up, and threw it away. Everyone has their days, but that doesn’t give anyone the right to take it out on other people.

Food was decent. Fries were old and had hairs in them. Wasn’t told they were out of a flavor for milkshakes til after I paid.

We went through the drive-through and the girl working was extremely rude. She completely messed up our order when my husband said sorry for the confusion. She slammed the window in his face and we were missing two burgers and an onion fry that we paid for she had an Earpod in one ear, so I don’t know if she heard us correctly or what but we were extremely nice and got a window slam in our face and missing food.

Got the carls burger. It was good. Late night eats. Fries are comparable to Wendy’s fries. Not my mojo but not a bad burger and fries. ROOTBEER was what you would expect from a fast food restaurant.

Starbucks is a popular coffeehouse chain originating from Seattle, known for its distinct coffee blends, light snacks, and offering WiFi to customers. The store has recently undergone an interior renovation, featuring a spacious layout with fewer tables and chairs but a new lower bar area that provides a welcoming seating option. Despite the challenges posed by COVID-19, this particular Starbucks location in Anchorage stands out for its friendly staff, cleanliness, and efficient organization.
Ansley and her team are awesome! I’m a creature of habit and once I find a good place to grab a cup of Joe I tend to frequent it. The coffee is consistent and made exactly how I like it every time. Her and her team are pleasant and always willing to get you in and out. Ansley knows my name and greets me when I come in. I also think it’s really cool that they write a note on my cup, it made me smile this morning. 😎

I had the best drink I ever had from any coffee stand or Starbucks before. Granted, I wouldn’t buy it this way regularly it would cost $11.50 with the extras, but, I used my 200 stars so I got any drink I wanted 💅 the employees were kind and quick. And this boujee matcha was DIVINE. The location in 100th off C by target has declined tremendously. New management it seems. I am going to come here even if it means going across town.

If you're having any issues at this Starbucks you should contact the store manager Sadie Elizabeth Leader. The inside was remodeled and it looks great! What I see that is different is the large open space in the middle of the store. I'm not sure, but maybe there are fewer tables and chairs than before? There is a bar next to the barista that is now much lower. I really like this bar because anyone can sit or pull up to it. I like the new look and I think you will too. Come inside! Seriously never seen such an organized group of hard working gals I have ever seen at a Starbucks. Comstant orders, no mess ups and they make the best coffee in Anchorage. Such a great place and people are out of this world. Never had a coffee in such a great warm welcoming place in all my years. Keep all these girls, they have a tough job and they are working beautifully to make sure everyone gets what they ordered. Incredible location. Hardworking employees they all are.

When I said light ice to the clerk, they said they already knew it, but when I got home and drank it, I found that there was so much ice in it. I ordered four cups of the same, and there was so much ice 😅 and their attitude was not good.

I get the matcha latte often and many places don't measure correctly (they do heaping scoops instead of leveled off ones) and it makes the matcha too unbearably strong, but this location always makes them perfectly!!! And Momo is such a ray of sunshine when she works! 😁 love her!

Nestled in the heart of Anchorage, Ollin Tea & Cafe is a must-visit destination for foodies and tea enthusiasts alike. Known for having the largest tea display in North America, this charming fast-casual eatery offers an impressive selection of over 150 teas that will delight any connoisseur. But that's not all—Ollin also serves up a variety of organic dishes sourced from local producers, including mouthwatering smoothies, fresh salads, and hearty sandwiches.
They’re only doing take away orders and their online system is fairly straightforward and easy to use on mobile. I loved how everything was fresh, the BLT was pretty much perfect though I wish I could taste more of the tomato. Also I was pretty unimpressed with the chips, but the dip was pretty tasty with the sandwich. Elote, concha and avgolemono soup was awesome. Will come again!

This place never ceases to amaze, the food is fantastic & there's enough different kinds of tea that it would take years to try them all! Although I could have used a bit of bread with my salad to get all the tasty dressing off the plate, only because it's odd to lick plates in public!

Excellent food! I had the chicken avocado, the chicken was well seasoned and very juicy. Wife had the Asian salad and loved it. They were very accommodating with our 3 kids, they went as far to create them a 'kids' meal that wasn't on the menu. The Alaskan smoothie tasted great as well. I highly recommend this place of your in the area.

I visited here while they were renovating their shop and I must say they're one of the nicest family-owned businesses I've come across! The owner was welcoming and friendly as well as his son. I'm a tea fanatic and loved the infinite varieties of teas (over 150) showcased on their wall. I also enjoyed a delicious and flavorful breakfast burrito 🌯 with a cinnamon latte. They offered me a taste of their yummy smoothies too. Gotta try them out or at least see one of North America's largest tea display 😉

The staff were inviting and courteous. Ordered a blended Coconut Chai Tea boba with soy milk at a %25 sweetness rate. The tea was fresh, amazing and I could tell the ingredients were real compared to other boba tea places that use already made powders.

I have eaten from here several times and really enjoyed the food. In mid-February, I ordered a Thai-style wrap and a boba taro tea. The wrap had a just OK flavor and was really hard to eat, as it was really saucy and dripping everywhere. I didn't even want to set it back in the to-go container after taking a bite, as there was a puddle of sauce/water as the bottom. The drink was really yummy, as they always seem to be. I waited quite a bit longer than their listed wait-time window indicated, and had to call twice to get an idea of when my food would be ready; no one picked up the first time. I just popped on their website to see that they are still curb-side or delivery only. I don't like ordering online, as their website ordering is clunky. Even if they don't want to offer dine-in, I'd really like to just walk in and up to the counter to place an order to go. I think I'll skip ordering from here until that time.

I kinda feel bad giving this place such a bad rating BUT the food was nasty! The guy who looked to be a manager was basically doing everything from taking orders, drive-thru and trying to make food all at the same time, he informed us after we waited a few minutes that there was only 3 people working when there was supposed to be at least 6. He was nice and was trying (older gentleman full of tattoos) but they screwed up or jr. Bacon cheeseburgers and we had to wait for them to be remade, my chicken sandwich came out first and then 5 min late we got our frosty and then 5 min after that we got our fries and the rest of the order and it was just nasty we should have went somewhere else instead of waiting so long for the food here.

Parking lot had one car in it. Store had one couple in it. Plus two employees sitting/standing in the fireplace area. I used to love wendys. Haven't visited in several years due to wait time in drive through. Thought I would try eating inside instead. Coukd not understand cashier. There were an additional five people in the cook area. Drive through was not busy. Entire Lobby was disgusting. Tables had not been cleaned off. There were no napkins in dispenser, maybe ten straws, ketchup dispensers both empty, Medium lids were empty as well. When I asked why they were empty the cashier said, “ We will get to them later”. Soda was flat, the single burger I ordered had some weird bun on it and it was very spicy like some hot sauce or something was added. disrupts my stomach to eat these spicy burgers. I went to the front and was told they ran out od the correct buns. Nothing was said to me about the switch in buns. The manager offered to make another one with a pretzel bun. Yuck! I could not eat another burger. I am sorry, I cannot get excited to eat here any longer. . Wendy”s quality has gone way down and its not worth the money to sit in a filthy store with no fresh ingredients as they say!
Karen H — Google review
Not sure what the theme is lately but apparently all Wendy's in our location are slower than molasses. This one especially. I ordered the easiest thing you could ever order at drive thru ...a 10-piece and a hamburger but two separate orders but the same order that was so confusing they had me pull forward and order out the window and do it slowly. Not to mention I waited more than 15 minutes at the drive-thru and usually other locations have been nice and will offer free food for our inconvenience. They were missing our dips for the nuggets. The food seemed to be cold and not fully cooked. Fingers crossed for no food poisoning and definitely did not get exactly what we ordered. Considering it was so simple they use the excuse that there's some new system and they weren't trained. Literally. Every single Wendy's in Anchorage are slower than anything I've ever seen. Drive-thru or Dine in. May the odds be ever in your favor!

Love Krispy Kreme Doughnuts! Usually the wife goes to get donuts here at the drive thru. Well in December 2024, I went twice with two different friends for coffee and doughnuts! I was very pleased with the dining in experience. Great staff! Clean place! A+ actually!! This might be my go from now on my meetings from time to time. What was I thinking not going here before! As you can see I got a Christmas doughnut in my photo!

When it was first opened, there were lots of places to sit, but most tables have been removed. There are only 3 high top tables available and those are crowded together. No space between them. It seems it is mainly a drive thru business now. The coffee is horrible. As with everything else now, the donuts are smaller but still tasty.

Love when a large franchise like Krispy Kreme has a deal but this location doesn't want to honor. The company shouldnt put a deal all over the app and internet if they allow certain locations to not honor it. Wish I wouldve known before I drove all the way there but they wouldnt answer the phone either.

One of my favorites of all time. At first I was disappointed when they first opened, because the glazed donut did not taste like it does in Tampa Florida. Lately that has changed. Maybe the assembly line needed age. Customer service is decent. All I care about is that glazed donut. Nothing else from KK. As long as it tastes like it's suppose to, I'm happy. I also had some berry shaved ice drink, that was pretty good. I waited forever to post this review, because I knew this place would finally get it right👍

This Krispy Kreme has the worst service, rude and lazy staff and just really don't care. Hot light was on, my glazed originala were not hot. They couldnt hear me at the speaker, no problem, but when I spoke louder the woman was rude about my volume and then the lady taking my payment at the window was rude as well and rolled her eyes when I asked if I could use tap pay. Overall bad experience.

Marble Slab Creamery is a popular chain known for its small-batch ice cream that's hand-blended with various mix-ins. Customers praise the personalized service, with one mentioning the exceptional customer service skills of an employee who went above and beyond to ensure their order was thoroughly mixed. Another customer commended the owner/manager for their outstanding disposition and kindness.
We haven’t been here before. After our sushi dinner we wanted to try some dessert and found this place. We walked in and were greeted. So many options! I opted for a bunch of peanut buttery items. Damn good! Husband got a s’mores ice cream mix and a snickerdoodle ice cream mix. He enjoyed it! The shift lead was great! Service was quick! We will be back!

The ice cream is good! Lots of options too and I LOVE dipped cones- but the toppings were as HARD AS A ROCK. when I ordered my ice cream I asked for brownie to be added- I thought it was the brownie in the window- instead they gave me brownie bites I guess- but they were HARD hard- like big thick frozen chocolate bites that I couldn't bite through. My daughters Twix bars were also horribly hard. And the kit-kats. She tossed half of it. When I called to ask the restaurant if they froze the candy- and wondering why it was hard- the guy treated me like I was dumb. He said the candy is hard because it's a candy bar... that's very insulting. He said it can get hard from being in the cold ice cream... our ice cream was melting, so that was not it. When I told him it was weird... we sat on the phone a few seconds in silence. Then he told me thanks for letting him know.

We got 2 smoothies and one strawberry shortcake Sunday. Great taste, especially the Sunday! The service was quick even though there was a line. Too bad there isn't really seating. You'll have to get it to go.

WAAYY better than Cold Stone. The ice cream is "real". Cold stone ice cream stays thick even after it melts, it must have some serious oil/fillers in it for it to have that consistency. Marble slab on the otherhand, melts fast, and becomes a milky liquid. It feels much *healthier* so to speak. And mix ins are free! You aren't charged by weight, but by cup size. The employees I've encountered are always friendly and helpful. My go to ice cream spot.
Noah D — Google review
Stick to the ice cream if you come here. We bought a small ice cream cake not knowing it would be $42.95 😂 that was our first mistake. Still, we thought it would be good but it tasted old 😞 I asked the kids if they liked it and after a couple of bites, it all went to trash. Next time, we’ll just go for the ice cream and not the cakes ❌❌

Love this little icecream shop! It's so creamy and delicious. Conveniently located in the army shopping center right outside the base gate. They also offer cakes and icecram cupcakes as well. Military discount but ONLY on wendsdays which should be changed to daily.
Candace M — Google review
From the website i thought they make their own flavored batches of icecream but This is basically just a coldstone. They mix in different things into the plain icecream in front of you. It was a little confusing to understand. Noone explains how it works. There should be a sign or something to explain the steps. There was a man that was going around in the back just lifting up the ice cream sections and stirring and moving stuff around. I wasnt sure if he was a customer or manager or owner, he just looked like a regular person back there touching things after walking in off the street. He didn't have a marble slab shirt or anything on. Or a nametag. I thought it was weird he was just messing w the food and things without washing his hands or anything or putting on gloves. I was standing right there with the employee trying to order my I've cream and he was just coming around lifting up dipping in stuff. He didn't say anything or apologize or anything. The process of getting ice cream here is too confusing for me and if they're not making their own flavors the way it seems on the website then i don't see the point of going through all that extra work just for a taste you cant guarantee. I got the strawberry cheesecake and it was supposedly cheesecake flavored ice cream but it didn't have much flavor or sugar and then the strawberries were frozen so it was a little awkward to eat biting into large frozen strawberries and then the cheesecake crust part was just animal crackers so it did not that brown sugar graham cracker crust like you usually would have in a strawberry cheesecake ice cream when I looked on the website it looked like the strawberry cheesecake ice cream was already combined and have the graham cracker crust swirls I think I will just stick with the store brand or Baskin Robbins. When you say strawberry cheesecake theres a whole taste with that we imagine. This seems more like a low calorie low sugar type place which i do not prefer in my ice cream.

Food is normally pretty good, this is my go- to Arby’s. Just picked up some late night dinner and one of 3 total things that I ordered is missing, but I was still charged. I guess I should’ve checked the bag sure, but it’s almost $5 for two chicken tenders that I didn’t even get? And I didn’t take a receipt so there’s no way to make it right. Real bummer, not cool Arby’s night shift

Great food, very pricey food. I spend more per meal here then any other fast food location. So deals are key, aside from the high prices the food is great. The Arby's on northernlights/Benson seems to have there milkshake machine down more then a few times. I've gone at 11pm, drove 10mins just to get a mochashake so its pretty disappointing to be told they cant make one..... AGAIN.

We were in line forever waiting for the guy in front of us complaining that a sandwich could cost $8 and nobody else even tried taking any other orders. Then a very trashy woman with long hair (employee) walked up to another register and started violently punching buttons and yelling at the top of her lungs in another language to another employee behind her in the kitchen (in another room) not even facing her. We were discussing what to order but I had to stop FIVE times because I couldn’t hear my wife one foot to my left because the woman twelve feet away was yelling so loudly. Mind-boggling lack of social awareness at this place. We left without ordering.

It was clean. But everything took time. Too much time. Had to wait to place our order because no one was on register. Had to wait for it to be made. The potatoes were old and room temp. The person I was with had to wait the full cook-time on chicken. Of course, they were out of ketchup too.

POTENTIAL HEALTH HAZARD 9/29/22 around 1:54PM, I ordered a meal via drive-thru. As I’m driving back to work eating my food, I swallowed something sharp. I didn’t think much of it and as I went to take another bite, I noticed a broken bread clip in the middle of my sandwich. I returned to the restaurant with the half eaten sandwich, asked for a refund and explained why. After showing the manager a picture, she told the two employees to come over and look at the same picture. Of course they played dumb and apologized. The manager gave me my refund and apologized again while trying to offer coupons. I declined and left after receiving my refund. I started to get a sore throat at work not long after then hours later, my stomach is hurting. I’m feeling sick so hopefully the broken bread clip will pass. Accidents happen, but this is a sharp object in someone’s food and could have been avoided. If a small child ate that, they could’ve ended up in the emergency room. I’ll make sure to update this review if I have any further complications.

So I tried this place for the first time and it was amazing! Now the only problem is you have to eat them right away. They don't eat well the following day like normal doughnuts. Great place. We were welcomed as soon as we walked in. They have a variety of Malasadas, Island Sodas and even Poke. I ended up getting the assorted dozen in lemon, blueberry, raspberry, strawberry, raspberries & cream and last but not least coconut & cream. My husband got the Whale Watcher and I got the Island Colada. Never tried any of these before but we will definitely be back for more.

Dessert shop
Baskin-Robbins is a chain of ice cream specialty shops that offers a wide variety of flavors as well as sorbet and yogurt. The shop is popular for its outdoor seating, which can be difficult to find in larger locations. The service is always friendly.
Baskin Robbins is the only place I will order cakes. They provide such excellent service and quality products every single time. The staff is professional and incredibly courteous. This place is doing a great job! You can always count on a perfect order here.

I’m speechless. We ordered a 1/2 sheet cake in the Mario racing design (see screenshot of the online example photo) and asked them to not put the Mario cars on it as we had our own. A $50 cake that’s supposed to serve 8-12 people. This is the cake we were given. It’s literally smaller than my children’s hardcover DogMan book. See unedited photo for scale. 100% not a 1/2 sheet cake. And the frosting is HORRIBLE. 100% not the same as the design we ordered. We could barely even fit a single race car on it and ours are the exact same size as the Mario ones we asked them not to put on the cake. The race track and all messed up. There’s some kind of liquid on one side of the cake. I am so angry. So so so angry.

12/14/2024 Worse customer service that I have ever experienced at basking robbins. Arrived 9 minutes before closure and employees were not trying to let us in to order and turned their back to us knocking at the door. After one of the employees noticing that we didn't leave she walk to the door and told us only card which we agreed. Once I started ordering I asked for pink bubblegum and was served a very very strawbery flavor, then I couldn't add a banana split to my order because they already had turn down all the warmers for the hot fudge and caramel. Lastly, the employee was wearing headphones while trying to get my order.

Baskin-Robbins in Midtown has become one of my go-to spots for casual meetups—especially when I want to avoid the usual coffee shop scene. Let’s be honest: most business in town goes down at a few specific coffee spots, and if you’re seen there, someone usually knows who you’re meeting and why. So when I want to keep things a little more under the radar, I head to Baskin-Robbins. They offer the usual variety of ice cream, but what makes it great is the low-traffic setting. I’ve honestly seen more Grubhub drivers than actual people in the lobby. That quiet atmosphere makes meetings feel more light-hearted and relaxed—less like a formal sit-down, and more like a friendly check-in. Just wanted to give a shout-out to a small business making it work in Midtown. Any place willing to stay open in that part of town gets an automatic thumbs-up from m
Brandy P — Google review
Ice cream on a hot day is the best! This Baskin-Robbins may not have enough seating, but you won't bump into someone getting up from the table either. Sadly there are no tables outside. There are plenty of flavors here, so reading them should keep you busy while you wait your turn. Keep your eyes on your order because you may not get the cone you want.

I ordered a 3 scoop sundae and And the girl gave me such small scoops and then she didn't tell me that they didn't have to go lids until at the end when it was time to pay. I didn't see how small the Scoops were because I was looking for the next flavors and she put all the whipped cream on it I was surprised they only live down the street and I had so much room in the bowl....i couldve gotten a whole thing of ice cream at the store for that. The first time I went here last month or two months ago it was good this time there were two different people... the girl could have just communicated that they had to use Soda lids instead of the regular pink lids before i started choosing flavors and building the sundae

Dim sum restaurant
Hong Kong style fast food restaurant
Hong Kong Spirit Food is a hidden gem that offers mouthwatering Chinese cuisine in Anchorage. The Mongolian Beef and Spicy Shrimp with rice are highly recommended, bursting with amazing flavors and crispy textures. The fruit tarts provide a refreshing conclusion to the meal. On weekends, visitors can indulge in delectable dim sum, but it's advisable to arrive early before they sell out.
This hole in the wall is a must. Though their hours are limited compared to most restaurants, you need to try this place out and you’ll see this quickly go towards the top of your list! The bakery side does run out of items so be sure to get there earlier than later if you’re trying to get some egg tarts or taro bread. I had the rice noodle with shrimp, Xui Mai (my fav), pork belly steam bun, and the spicy shrimp. All were delicious!! Paired it with the hot milk tea and finished it with a galaxy mocha mousse dessert! It is a bit on the pricey side but that’s most of Anchorage/Alaska. Hands down the best Chinese restaurant in town. Thank you Hong Kong Spirit Food!
Nate I — Google review
Service is slow on the weekends. It took some time for them to take our orders. For the food, I would recommend duck, beef balls, and siomai. Pork bbq was just okay. Probably skip it as it's not as good as other Chinese pork barbecues we've had. SKIP the rice noodle with beef, the beef felt nonexistent. You can barely taste and see the beef. SKIP their drinks, pricey and not good. SKIP the taro bun and pork buns. I've tasted many taro buns and pork buns and theirs was a disappointment 😔. Also, not a lot of meat in the pork buns.
Ye Y — Google review
Went for a snack on a Sunday. Wish it had been for a full meal because we would have tried everything on the menu. The BBQ steamed buns are delicious! I've eaten them all over the world and these were a delight! Flora's husband learned from his father and keeps the tradition going right here in Anchorage. The process is so labor intensive, that is why it is only available on the weekend. Sticky rice in lotus leaf was also a treat. We also enjoyed a pot hot jasmine tea, and they had Moon Cakes so we got one to go!

I always like finding restaurants that are off the beaten path better know as a hole in the wall. We had a layover and thought we go find some great food . This restaurant very clean , service is amazing and the food is made to order . We had dim sum and a dish off the main menu . Everything had great flavor and if you like a little spice don't forget for the hot chili oil😀
Stacey O — Google review
We came on a Sunday afternoon and they were busy. This is our 5th time here and they did not disappoint. The daughter that serves and another coworker Sarah I believe, were hustling today. I commend them for how they delivered service, juggling take out orders, handling a full house and constantly making sure we were okay. The food did take a little long but that's fine knowing how busy they were. When the food finally came out, everything was presented hot and fresh! We had for appetizers Xiu Mai, rice noodle shrimp rolls, beef balls, sticky rice w/ meat in lotus leaf. The apps were fantastic and the flavors were great! For entrees we had the shrimp in scramble eggs with steamed rice and stir fried flat noodles with beef. Amazing, delicious and hot. Of course we had to get the traditional egg tart, which was amazing. Best homestyle Hong Kong food in town, hands down. Cannot wait to come back for more.
Brandon V — Google review
I hadn't been here since they first opened, during covid I believe, and they were doing their own delivery. The ladies were so sweet and the food was amazing, I just hadn't made it back. So, I decided to take my daughter to have dim sum on a whim, and we weren't disappointed. My kiddo had a lotus drink while I had the hot milk tea. We shared the xiu mai, chicken feet, and BBQ pork buns, and we took 2 fruit tarts to go. All of it was DELICIOUS! Great staff, service was good, atmosphere is relaxed. I highly recommend and will be going back.

Do you like chinese food? Or any food, do you like GOOD food? Cause’ it’s here! I didn’t get a picture of the spareribs but those were so tender. It’s a special sometimes. Been here a handful of times, every visit was enjoyed.

I love this place! I've been a regular customer here, and I've had no regrets at all. This place serves good boba and frozen yogurt, great service, and there's not a lot of waiting for your order! Would recommend, 10/10

My family loves going to this place. The frozen yogurt is good, toppings good, but they really shine with the boba tea. The tea comes in many different flavors, and is very cold, almost like ice cream. Service is great.

Wanted something sweet after a nice meal out. We came to get frozen yogurt, we didn’t necessarily cared for the flavors. I wouldn’t go again, they charge .60 and ounce, and 5 for boba tea which they had ran out of.

Excellent yogurt, relaxing environment, reasonable prices, great people - highly recommend!
Lance H — Google review
Really well stocked with flavors and toppings. Froyo machines and topping areas were super clean. Staff was super polite and helpful. Prices were great and many great sizing options. Place wasn't the most organized though. Chaos of a game shelf and the bathroom appears to be used as storage. Otherwise great place. Would be a 5 star if not for the chaos of storage system and bathroom. I'll be back.

This place has tons of flavors and they rotate flavors as well so each time we come there is something new to us. They have a nice variety of low fat, sugar free, and dairy free options. They also have lots of toppings to choose from.
Alexandria W — Google review
The frozen yogurt was lackluster. We tried taro, tart, and strawberry delight- all were rather watery and flavorless. We ended up pitching our bowls. The "cheesecake bites" topping we sprinkled on was chewy and rubbery, too. We haven't tried their many other offerings, but I'm not inclined to come back. The store itself was clean enough.

Despite occasional hiccups like temperature issues, customers appreciate the overall experience and recommend giving it a try.
So good every time! Great customer service too! I swing by anytime I have time in Anchorage. I have been here a few times and they never disappoint. The consistency is spot on. Oh and they have gluten free options and a smoothie bar !!!!

I went here because my pup was at the hospital under sedation. I ordered a 24oz extra thick blackberry/ cantaloupe. The drink was definitely not extra thick, & I am still trying to figure out if blackberry was used, I definitely do not think cantaloupe was. I usually, go to boom coffee, Miss hoku makes fantastic drinks, but you guys were so close & I had heard alot of good things about you. Mabey it was an off day.🤷🏽‍♀️

I have been going to dgs since I moved to midtown area, so around 9 years now. I have never had one bad experience or drink. Baristas are always very kind and outgoing and do their best to meet your caffiene needs. They are also the only shop that is open at 5:30am in the med district so that has been a huge plus for me. My only complaint is they have such a great client base that the lines are often long even though they are so fast at what they do.

I have always had a nice experience here. Friendly and polite girls that seem to really care. I usually get my go to drink of a 16oz vanilla Chai. Today they didn't steam it to the correct temperature, but since this is the 1st time I will still give them 5 stars. They have some nice treats there. So go, have fun and enjoy whatever you decide to order.

Great espresso! Even their decaf espresso is amazing and tastes freshly roasted. They also have smoothies and delicious pastries like gluten free donuts, sweet breads, bagels, and breakfast items.
Jay J — Google review
I know it's not fair to be treated like you are a waist of there time but don't let that deter you from what they have. Just go another time when that specific employee is not there or just go to another coffee shop. When I pulled up there alone I asked if they still serve mud water, instantly the waiter started talking to the hard hat road worker across the street, told me "Hot or cold!" Then turned away instantly, looked at the other waitress and said "I don't know what's her problem! You deal with her!" Mind you, I did not even get a chance to respond in any way possible. It was automatically bs from the start just looking at me. The other employee asked me "What can I get you!" She looked across the road and automatically started talking to the same hard hat employee and yelled out "I want to try!" Kept laughing, ignoring me. So sitting there waiting in my car just to order, or even be considered. I just left. I'm not dealing with being treated like I was a problem for just asking if they still sell mud water. If you are native and look tired just don't go there till they get new employees. It's not worth the mistreatment. Go down the road or just somewhere else where you won't have to deal with bad aditude.
Bridget B — Google review
I really like Dg's signature drinks and make ups of flavors. How ever the wait times are ridiculous, the door dashing times fluctuate. I wouldn't mind going more often but between waiting. And when I bring my partner its a bunch of girls in their pj's or dressed to the summer max with all versions of their attire including tank tops, bellys , hips and shoulders out. And genuinely it's just so uncomfortable to come there after a long wait with my family and see that it's not professional or simply all asked in business is that things are appropriate for families to come and feel welcome safe taken care of and included . Not uhhggg I just really want this drink but the whole event of getting. It is bad
Bulletsfate — Google review
Unfortunately not the best. The last several times I've gotten something from them they've messed up the order. They've either forgotten an ingredient, used the wrong milk type (I'm lactose intolerant), or added extra ingredients that shouldn't be there. I do not want red bull in my Italian soda, or strawberries in my Mango Dragonfruit tea. Please try to do better.

The new manager from Wasilla that was at this location on 8-14-24 @ 8:35PM sucks at Customer service & isn’t right for this job title. She was extremely rude, made assumptions that I was wanting a refund when all I asked was “can you please make sure the chicken in wrap is a decent size?” The white lady said “they’re already cut up, nothing she can do” that’s when I said I have a photo of the size I got yesterday & the size was unacceptable, I got this small piece of chicken & it was all tortilla & we received a single bacon cheeseburger when I paid for a double. She told me I wasn’t getting a refund which I didn’t ask for, I wanted reassurance I wouldn’t get a small piece of chicken in both my wrap again, this isn’t the first to happened but she’s the only 1 that made it an issue. I asked for her name then she said “I’m not giving it to you, I’m the manager, I don’t have to” She canceled my order & told me to have a good night. I’ve been coming here for YEARS & have NEVER had a problem at this location. The Samoan ladies are amazing! They have such a positive attitude, they’re the true definition of amazing customers service, I only come to this location bc of them. 1 of them need to take the manager position from this white inexperienced manager. They hear me out if a problem happens & we fix it without an issue but nope, not this Wasilla “manager”. I just wanted reassurance that we’d get the proper food/size but she ruined my experience. She doesn’t know how to de-escalate. She escalated this situation, she got upset, I cried due to feeling unheard. It was uncalled for, so I’ll be looking to contact the owner about this New manager from Wasilla.
Avayah B — Google review
They have a nice scam going. Take your money, give you whatever they see fit. Won't refund your money at all. Corporate is aware of the scam as they will offer credit only. No contact numbers on receipt. No one answers the phone. No one will give you their name to dispute anything. The management is atrocious. I have never been verbally assaulted by someone so quickly. It's almost as if she does it on a daily basis since younger years. Yelling and screaming like a child. There is no office contact in Alaska. They have done a great job of scrubbing the internet to see who the owners are. Save yourself the trouble when your food is wrong, take a Pic of food with receipt and send it to your bank to dispute the charges. THEFT IS NOT OK BURGER KING. We learned that in grade school!
Jay J — Google review
If I could give zero stars, I would. Door dashed tonight, took an hour to get here. Didn't have the drink we ordered, but the driver didn't speak any English so could not answer any of my questions. Food is ice cold, and my fries weren't filled even half way. Called to speak with a manager. She first claimed they gave him 3 drinks, then claimed they didn't carry the drink we ordered (confirmed on the receipt attached to the bag). I asked for a refund. She asked me to come pick up the missing item. Then told me she couldn't do anything and I had to go to the app. Waste of time and money.
Melissa S — Google review
My drink was filled 2 inches from the top from drive thru. So I went inside to top it off rather than bothering them to fix it. But it was an issue. An employee said I couldn't bring it inside to get more. Because I probably didn't buy it. I asked if he wanted to see my receipt. And he said it was fine. So why bother in the first place??
MiQi — Google review
EVERY time they mess up the order and food quality is BAD. On my Egg-normous burrito they shoved 2 sausages in it and it’s supposed to have BACON. I don’t eat sausage!! If you try to call the manager, no one ever answers the phone. Burger King on Northern Lights is MUCH better food.

Customers have raved about the chocolate croissant and bear claw, praising their flaky pastry and delicious fillings. The strawberry + lychee croissant and ube croissant also received positive feedback. While some pastries were not readily available upon opening, the overall experience was enjoyable.
We had our first experience at Benji’s today and it was amazing. We came in right before close and they gave us a ton of free goodies in addition to our purchase♥️ the staff is so kind and explained everything to us and the treats we got were so delicious. Definitely stop by to give them a try if you’re in Anchorage!

Saturday 2/22/25 was the first time I’ve been inside Benji’s. I’ve had their food before, but I’ve always had it brought to me. It was 2 PM on a Saturday so a lot of stuff was sold out and I completely understand. It was busy, however everyone was being served. When I got up to the counter, there was only 3 people in front of me and they were all together. I got the salmon chowder, The portion was immense. Very large portion with a big crusty bread roll. I also got two croissant waffles, the blood orange, and the brownie. I took all of the stuff home to eat. The chowder was very good, it had chunks of potato, & flaky salmon. The croissant waffle was a couple hours out of the case when I ate it. Delicious. Perfectly crusty and crunchy and different. I have had the croissant muffin cupcakes before, But not the croissant waffle. Perfect afternoon snack. So delicious and the cream on top is a perfect compliment to the richness of everything else.

This place is ALWAYS consistent. You can always expect the freshest pastries (with incredible attention to detail), delicious drink options (best boba in town!), and friendly staff to assist in a timely manner. Okay, the second I walked in I fell in love with the Ambiance, chill music and Great Wall art. We just moved to Anchorage a month ago and this place was highly recommended by others. We were greeted with smiles and positive vibes as soon as we walked in, owner was there, very friendly, gave us all the details on each baked goods. We bought a bunch of treats to try out, owner threw in a couple cookies on the house to try — my favorite was the UBE cookie ! Their Ube croissant is amazing too! All the desserts were dangerously delicious LOL. I honestly loved all the flavors we got. 11/10 ! Highly recommend!

I bought a breakfast burrito and they put burnt potatoes in my burrito. Spoke to the owner and she said “it is easy to get a refund through DoorDash” but DoorDash only gave me 5$ and she didn’t offer a refund either. Honestly who adds burnt ingredients like that? Im very disappointed.

The “barista“ literally handed coffee out the window that was dripping down the side of the cup. She then said, “take it easy” and slammed the window shut. I’m a door dasher, and she treated me like this because I’m not a “tipping customer“. These are the facts. Terrible spot. Would give it zero stars if I could. Save your money! Go elsewhere!!
Timothy O — Google review
I have went here a couple months ago, but I was a bit disappointed. I asked for cold foam on top of my Latte (no, NOT ICED) and she declined me automatically. I am an ex-barista and I know for a fact you cannot put cold foam ontop of an hot drink because it obviously, MELTS INTO THE DRINK, I am well aware of that. As a past barista, even if the customer's requests are not 'coffee-appropriate' like COLD FOAM ONTOP OF MY HOT LATTE, you should still be able to do it as long as you educate the customer what will happen if they do a certain add-on. That's my thoughts. Also, there were coffee ground at the bottom of my cup, like A LOT. I can understand a few grains here and there but it should not cover the bottom of my cup.

We have been to many coffee shops and of course you are bound to have bad experiences. But this was bad where it needs to be addressed. When holding the cup it is burning hot and soft. You can see in the photos attached what I mean when I say soft. We think that they might be cups meant for cold drinks. We also ordered egg sausage burritos and it tasted like it was a bean burrito. Every time I go there it's a pleasant experience great coffee very professional and courteous Baristas keep it up good work

Rude staff, allowed costumers to walk up to the drive thru window. Didn't care about the safety of their customers, in vehicles and out. It's an unsafe environment for both. The drive thru window is not a hang out window for walk up customers. I've been going here for many years but the way they handles the situation today, they have lost a customer. I really doubt they care, because that's the vibe I got when I asked for a manager to explain the situation. They seemed annoyed that I was trying to explain that is usually not allowed at drive thru windows anywhere. Very unprofessional and unpleasant experience.

Always a great White mocha. Servers are always quick with our orders.

What wonderful service and coffee. To all the complainers Out there just be grateful You have a cup of coffee. I remember a time when there was not a shop on every corner and most definitely A. Time When you couldn't have one delivered to you by car. This is one of the many joys my daughter and I share. A mocha and she orders a hot cup of Toto. She means coco but she's only three. Every time I go there Iam greated with smiles and great service. They ask if she wants the works. She's says yep. One Day she won't say Toto anymore but I will remember all those times. LIFE is too short to precious to fuss over a cup of toto. Thank you

I ordered my regular red bull smoothie from kindred’s and got an Italian Red Bull instead. The barista wrote on the cup that smoothies don’t get cream? But every time I order from 5th ave and I say extra whip and extra cream I get exactly that. So I’m a bit confused? I didn’t like how they didn’t reach out to see if maybe I’d like to cancel my order or confirm what I was asking for. Usually that’s what the restaurant/coffee shop would do. I’ve even been called and told how they had to charge me extra money. Horrible customer service from diamond kindreds. Your business shouldn’t be on DoorDash if you can’t reach out to your customers need be. I filled juked considering I get my smoothie from 5th ave almost every day. Smh.

Came in today and the two young girls were not only rude, but needs a big lesson in “customer service.” I asked for a 8oz almond mocha with almond milk. She said okay. Once I received my drink I tasted it. You couldn’t taste almond milk so I asked if it was a almond mocha with almond milk. She replied yes. I then told her nicely that it tasted nasty ( not rude or snarky) and she asked if I wanted her to put more almond milk in. I told her no ( because at that point I would’ve paid extra for a new drink) she says have a nice day and slams the window and walks away. I had to beep my horn just to get someone back. The second young girls comes to the window and I ask if she is the manager? She says no. So I ask what is the other girls name. I’m met with a smirk and slight laugh when being told her name. Dunaan or something. I then ask the young girl if this is how they treat people? She states no, but she did ask if you wanted it remade and you said no. I said, I did not say that and neither did she. She asked if I wanted more almond milk not a remake, so don’t say things that are not true! I’ve come to this coffee shop for years and never treated how I was told! Very sad and I definitely know both those girls don’t care

Always look forward to going there. Girls are extremely nice and very quick to pump coffee out two windows at once

Bakery
Auntie Anne's is a popular global chain known for serving up delicious sweet and savory soft pretzels with a wide range of toppings and dips. Customers rave about the freshness of their pretzels, as they change out the dough and display every 30 minutes to ensure top quality. The pretzel bites are particularly praised, although some find the lemonade overly sweet.
For a fast food pretzel place this place is the bomb. They change out there dough and their case every 30 minutes whether it's sold or not and if you eat it while it's hot it is the best on the planet. Like anything, if you let it cool it loses some flavor but if you eat it well it's hot, it is the best.so please give them a try.
Christophor D — Google review
The pretzel bites are amazing. the only problem is I wasn't expecting the lemonade to be so sweet. It was to the point that it hurt to drink it. But the pretzels are good and the smell when you walk past is so luring

Didn't greet or ask until I asked for help after a few minutes of waiting. No one else was in line by then. The second I asked for help that’s when one of the bread people tells the cashier lady she needs to pay attention to what’s going on around her. The question is, if the bread person saw me why couldn’t she alert the cashier so she knows I’m right there? She was rolling her bread and I saw her look up a couple of times towards us and not once did she say anything but the minute I go off she wants to talk bad to the cashier in front of everyone. There’s clearly no team work here. So frustrating for customers.

The pretzels are delicious. The male employee who worked behind the counter this evening around 8:00 pm 7/29/19 however was very short and came of kind of rude as if he really didn't have time to be bothered with us. I was quite disappointed with the lack of customer service skills he had. Change the cashier.
Broke T — Google review
Don't go when they're about to close. It was awful 😖

I went to the one at the Dimond center near the ice rink. The service was good and didn’t take too long, however one lady with red hair working was not wearing her mask over her mouth and nose. Rather, had it under her chin which made me uneasy since she was preparing food. She did put the mask back on after a couple minutes but for the safety of others she should have it on at all times. Especially since she was working and preparing food.
Maya G — Google review
The service was good. The pretzels were not as fresh as they usually are.
Jana M — Google review
The pretzels are really good and the employees were great. One employee did take our order and then left but the other two quickly fixed it for us.

Mostly fiendly cashiers who watch you without watching you. I bought Alaskan gifts for my family and books for my students in the combination candy-book store.
