Atmosphere – 3 stars The bakeshop has a cozy, rustic vibe but feels a bit cramped, especially when it’s busy—which seems to be most of the time. There are a few tables available, but I found the seating uncomfortable and the cleanliness lacking. There were noticeable crumbs on both the floor and tables, which took away from the overall experience. Service – 3 stars It’s a walk-up counter style setup, and while the staff was polite and moved fairly efficiently, there wasn’t much in terms of personal engagement. I asked if they had white milk, and they looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language. After a bit of confusion, they finally figured out what I meant and told me I could get milk from the nearby coffee stand. Not rude, just a little unpolished. Food – 4 stars I got a ham and cheese sandwich that was pretty good—the bread was especially fresh. I also tried a chocolate chip cookie, which was really good. I added a blueberry crème cupcake to the mix—it was tasty, but a little hard to eat since it was chilled and the frosting was firm, almost brittle, and broke apart. Overall, the quality of the baked goods was solid, but the pricing felt a bit steep for what you get. Not sure if I’d go out of my way to return.

Lovely place with very good baked goods. Very good bread, sandwiches, cupcakes, cakes, chowders, you name it. We enjoy everything, too bad we’re leaving town today…. This is not just a simple bread shop. They offer hearty loaves, breakfast options, and desserts that actually feel worth it. The sausage and pepper focaccias are great, the breakfast sandwiches are incredible. The pecan and currant bread has a solid balance of sweet and nutty that works perfectly toasted with butter. Fire Island Bakery has a strong presence the moment you step inside. The space is clean, welcoming, and filled with the smell of fresh bread and pastries coming straight out of the ovens. One of the best parts is being able to see the bakers working in the background. Watching the process gives the place a sense of authenticity and you know the food is being made with care. On the sweeter side, the display case is filled with cupcakes and tarts. They are rich without being over the top and each one feels like it has been crafted with intention. Fire Island Bakery delivers consistency and quality across the board. Whether you want something quick with your morning coffee or you are stocking up on bread for the week, it is a spot that wont disappoint.

Great spot for breakfast, but the full breakfast menu is only available Wednesday through Sunday. On other days, they serve pastries and sandwiches. We tried the salmon sandwich, and it was delicious.

I had a lovely visit and everything I bought tasted amazing. Well made baked goods. There was a line, but it moved fast and employees asked for your order down the line to get you serviced faster by check out. Friendly and attentive staff. It’s also connected to a plant store called That Feeling Co. I had helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable staff to help me find what I needed.

Really AMAZING bakery and staff! I had heard about this place for so long, but never made it downtown! Really great discovery! Wonderful array of food, pastries, fresh baked breads, soups and sandwiches. Their cakes are amazing, but with this silly economy the larger sized ones are wayyyyy overpriced. Definitely recommend going during the week days! Weekends are swamped!!!

Excellent bakery. Baked fresh there. Many bread and pastries options along with sandwiches. Breakfast is only pastries. Only serve drip coffee but the shop right behind it in the same K Market serves specialty coffees. It was very busy by 10am on a weekday

Great sandwich spot with the best macaroons! The macaroons are perfect! We had the O’Malley olive, Brayton Brie, and they were wonderful! Great bread and toppings! A must if you are in Anchorage!

SENSATIONAL!!!! Delightful sit in eatery or take out. Elevated grab and go lunches superbly assembled with master falvor and visuals. Each lunch kit, salad or sandwich includes bottled water, chips or couscous salad and mini macaron. There are numerous options to select from with weekly specials. In addition to desserts available of yummy bars, cupcakes, ice-cream macarons, they are offering fresh squeezed lemonade in glass mason jars to go.

Great service. DELISH gluten free sandwiches. We like their gluten free macarons also. Very very happy and grateful for this very delicious spot.

First time visiting today. Keto cobb salad was awesome! One of the best salads I've eaten. I couldn't finish it!

The salad was fresh and such generous portions. I love that the meat and veg is seperated so smart! Also the blackberry macarons were worthy of coming back for before we went to the airport. TOP NOTCH!

Hands down, one of my favorite places to eat! Some of the salads are second to none, such as the kale and quinoa and also the beat salad! My favorite two, so stuck on them it’s hard to try anything else. However; recently I’ve been trying their sandwiches and I do say, they are exceptional! Had the pastrami one day, and the smoked turkey another! All meals come with a sweet treat macaroon and bottled water. Great deal, and all very uplifting and healthy.

The ice cream here is SO GOOD! While all the flavors we tried were delicious and obviously homemade, the Oreo was the show stealer! The baked Alaskan cone is a really unique idea and a great addition to the ice cream. The waffle cone was a really good cinnamon flavor as well. Highly recommend this place!

This place is adorable and clearly a local favorite. I can see why, it was delicious! They have lots of flavors and options for customizing. Signs and photos on the walls describe how they’ve locally sourced their ingredients. I got there just in time. There was a line slightly out the door, but when I left it was twice as long.

My wife, daughter, son-in-law, and I needed sweet treats after exploring Potter's Marsh in south Anchorage.. Enter Wild Scoops for the win!! A decidedly local ice cream shop, Wild Scoops offers a rotating selection of flavors sure to satisfy any palate.. I personally sampled the Ultimate Cookie Dough topped with Baked Alaska (torch-finished marshmallow creme) set inside a waffle cone.. Each bite brought with it a perfect medley of sweet cream, cookie dough, M&Ms, pretzel pieces and chocolate flecks.. The torch-finished marshmallow creme complemented the hand-crafted ice cream perfectly.. At the end of the day, Wild Scoops is worth the drive from wherever you might be in the greater Anchorage area, and their prices are quite reasonable for the quality of product and service received..

The line was long, I almost left, but fortunately, I decided to stay. It was worth the wait. The ice cream was delicious, and the cones were baked to perfection. The staff was awesome and the prices were ok. The place is in a plaza so the parking is plenty and free. I haven't tried it but noticed they have vegan options.

Yummy locally made ice cream. We had the Baked Alaska which is ice.cream in a waffle cone with fluffy marshellow on top and them the marshmellow is torched! So yummy!

If you don't come here while visiting Anchorage your trip was not complete. So glad we did. The Pilots Life for Me & Pumpkin Gingerbread ice cream on Alaskan cones was absolutely wonderful. The shop smells amazing and the staff were friendly. When there's arrows outside to direct traffic and signs outside that explain which way the line forms you know you have a special place!

Wasn't familiar with this ice cream shop but it was recommended by someone people we met out and about. So glad we decided to stop by and try. We lined up just as the rush was getting started. You will probably have to wait in line, but it is really worth it. The Baked Alaska cone was so good! A wonderful treat for the day. The staff was also patient as we tried flavors and asked questions. They have GF/DF options, a nice surprise and allowed everyone in our group to try something.

I ordered a dozen cupcakes with a bee theme. I was told they could add a bee topper for 1.50. Which brought the honey infusion cupcake to 6.00 each. I wouldn't have minded paying 72$ a dozen for beautiful cupcakes, but what I got was very basic cupcakes with some sanding sugar and tiny sugar bees. When I called to express my disappointment, I was told a manager wasn't present but would call me later. It's been a week, and I haven't heard anything. I stopped at the Babycakes Food Truck the next day and got some beautifully decorated,delicious cupcakes. 5.50$ each and 6 for 31$. This was the third time at Alaska Cakes Bakery, with both previous times being bad employee experiences. Never returning, you need to make better products, train your employees better, and follow through with customer issues.

A fun, quick stop at the mall. I had an iced Mocha that was very good. My sister got an iced White Mocha which she said was a little to sweet for her, but overall good. We also split a "mocha" which was a Mocha mousse w/ a harder chocolate shell. The young woman that helped us was attentive and patient. Overall a nice experience and a good way to break up a mall trip.

I ordered a gluten free cake for my friend's birthday party 🥳🎉... The cashier (working Mon Aug 25, 3pm) was patient with all the details I wanted. Vanilla almond infusion cake was SPECTACULAR, moist & delicious, INCREDIBLE cream cheese icing, very well received among our group, & the gluten free version has a wonderful texture & EVERYONE raved!!! I'm very happy I came across this store. The owner was very nice and talked about his selection of deserts in detail. A slice of red velvet cheesecake was either $6 or $6.50 and it was absolutely worth it!

A pick-me-up!! Somehow my friend convinced me to go in this shop “just to look”. Now how you gonna go in a place this delectable and just look? You’re not…. So Obviously within 1 minute it was all, “so what we gettin’ girl?!” The choice was toffee cupcakes. Baking executed immaculately!! If they had the icing in a tub I would eat it with a spoon… no Shame! The cake part was soft and sweet, but not overbearing with sweetness. They have a small selection of local art! I bought some stickers, and made this my souvenir stop. There were some attractive paintings for sale as well. The aesthetic is winsome, and the desserts are on point. Let temptation win. If you’re walking by, treat yo self !

I went down there last week Saturday to get a custom made cake for my husband. I wanted a graduation cake that had a Japanese inspired artist called Aranzi Aronzo. I showed them the the picture I wanted and from there magic happen. It was the flavor my husband wanted and when he finally received it today he was in awe of how pretty and delicious it was. I'm soo soo happy that I went here to get my custom made cake. They were sweet understanding and made my Husband dream come true. It's not just cupcakes, it's custom made dream cakes 🥰🎂

This cupcakery is delicious. Seriously. The sweet potato cupcake is to die for and the red velvet is truly a southern classic. They were moist and the icing was sweet and delicious. The customer service was amazing and the owner is an absolute doll. We talked for a few minutes and she is just so nice. Its pricey but worth it when you get what you pay for.

My daughter had been wanting to try this establishment for a couple months and I finally got around to it today. For $19.50 for 4 cupcakes, I expected a lot more. The cupcakes were super dry and bland. The frosting was really sweet. They're very pretty, but for the price, I could've just gone to Carrs or Freddy's.

I got married in July, and Eva's made my gluten-free cake and two batches of gluten-free cupcakes (one batch, vanilla; the other, chocolate) for the reception. Eva went above and beyond in making me a beautiful, simple, and delicious cake, and amazing cupcakes for our guests! You couldn't even tell they were gluten-free. :) She is such a warm, loving, caring person who is passionate about helping people through her baking; she made our wedding planning experience so tasty and friendly!

I got a mountain berry mini pie. It was delicious as always. The cashier was friendly and offered great consumption advice. They have gluten free options with 24-hour notice.

This place serves the best pie I’ve ever eaten! A friend of mine recommended this place and it’s the most delicious pie I’ve ever tried (the key lime) and the owner was very respectful and such a kind older gentleman. I was in the parking lot and noticed how the owner was helping one of his customers who had a broken leg, bring his pie into his car. Seeing this made my day :)

This place is truly a gem. Been passing it for years and never came in before, and boy was I missing out. We purchased two pies and they were both out of this world. I haven't had a pie that good since my mother passed, and she use to run a bakery of her own. I was treated by the sweetest older gentleman who treated me to a wonderful conversation. He boxed up my pie and make my woman a excellent quality Breve to go. Couldn't have been happier. If you are sleeping on this place you are missing out!

All of the baked goods I’ve tried from them have all been so delicious, the crust is so flaky and buttery and everything has such good flavor. The staff is always so nice and caring. I’d recommend trying an Alisa’s signature pie if you haven’t! The savory pies are one of my favorites as well.

Stopped by this afternoon for a Sheppard pie and a mini key lime pie and they knocked it out of the park with both. I will definitely be back, I've been driving by this gem for years and can't believe it took me this long to check it out. Definitely recommend!

Visiting from out of town and stumbled upon this place. I will say they have tasty stuff, that’s the good part. But the customer service and rudeness took us by surprise, and we almost walked right out. Looking at other reviews, that seems to be a common trend. Not everyone is cut out for retail/customer service, and they should probably reconsider or restaff who works the front and deals with customers. Safe to say, we won’t be going back. Judging by the other review responses I’ve seen from the business, I’m sure I will get another snarky response, but best of luck to them going forward.

Delicious high end chocolate. Their drinking chocolate is really good. can't wait to try their coffee chocolate dry rub while cooking steak. They are rather expensive when it comes to their truffles, a bit more than I wanted to spend. The place is cute and has a nice atmosphere.

The atmosphere is delightful. Beautiful chocolates and even some sugar free choices. Fun coffee experience, you get to choose the chocolate for your mocha. Spendy but worth it.

I have to retract my good review. The chocolate is really good but some of the employees are detestable snobs. I'll never shop there again due to the treatment I've received. Anyways $8 is too expensive for a bloody mocha. I can make my own drinking chocolate anyways.

Incredible chocolates you won't find in most places, from all over the world. Fantastic chocolate drinks. Careful with the spicy blend though, they use 3 chili peppers in their mix. They also have an impressive display of art, jewelry, and stationery. Definitely coming back.

Every time I come here the staff is rude and snobby. They don't put prices on many of their products and it feels awkward to have to ask about everything you pick up. I've tried their truffles, and at $4.00 a piece you would expect more from them. I've left disappointed on more than one occasion and I likely will never be back.

A trendy chocolaterie in the heart of midtown. This hip chocolate infused cafe boasts handmade truffles, spicy Mayan drinking chocolate, and a bevy of exotic drinks. There are large and small bars of varietal chocolate that are on display for the wandering spirit or savvy shopper in search of chocolate delights.

Beautiful, high quality chocolate products that are made on the premises. Local art is always displayed and it is a pleasing place to meet with friends and enjoy a great cup of coffee.

Pizza was excellent, and their rotational cocktail (strawberry based during our visit) was a pleasant surprise. The Hungarian mushroom was also really good. We were a group of 16, and the staff managed to accommodate us within 10 minutes of waiting — very impressive service! Highly recommend for both food and hospitality.

When we told friends and family we were traveling to Alaska, there was a common theme: go to Moose's Tooth! We had to cut our trip here short for an emergency, but had a few hours in Anchorage. We decided to have a lunch here and we're not disappointed! While the food and beer are definitely off the charts, the people are what makes this place so amazing. Julia was our server and really brightened our day in a way we can't even describe. Her energy boosted our spirits while the amazing food nourished our souls. I wish we could take this place back with us to Texas. It will forever be on our hearts.

A very busy place! Was told it would be a 40 minute wait. Love that you can grab a drink and wait on the patio around the fire pit while you wait. The wait ended up only being 20 minutes. Our waitress was very friendly. Loved that they do 1/2 &1/2 pizzas. We tried the carnivore, the classic, call of the wild and chicken bacon ranch. The pizza crust is very good! The chicken bacon ranch was our least favorite. The root beer is crisp and delicious! Tried the pineapple upside cheesecake was disappointed that it lacked pineapple flavor. Overall would recommend and come back!

Dinner on a weeknight, seated after a very short wait. I had heard about Moose’s Tooth before even arriving in Alaska so I knew I had to try them! I was not disappointed! Ordered a pizza for the table to enjoy and it met expectations. The crust was perfectly cooked and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. Our server was friendly and attentive. Already planning a return visit before departing Alaska! I highly recommend Moose’s Tooth!!

pretty good! Pizza was *one* of the best I’ve had, easily top 3. I had a small pizza—1/2 carnivore and 1/2 firehouse. Crust was delicious. Cobbler was alright too, very filling. Pretty popular spot so this was actually the second time I tried to come here, since the wait time yesterday was very long. After being recommended at least once a day since I’ve been here, I think it’s definitely worth it. My server was amazing with her recommendations and in giving personal dish preferences. Stellar service!

No complaints about my experience here! The elk burger is absolutely phenomenal. The salmon fish and chips were also great. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Plenty of seating so our party of 8 was seated after a short wait. Happy with the visit and would consider going again if I am in Anchorage again!

In my opinion, this is the best restaurant in Anchorage. The food is delicious, the service is excellent, and the attention to detail is outstanding. During my stay, I visited three times—each time I considered trying another place but kept coming back because of the quality and consistency. While many restaurants in Anchorage don’t have the best ratings, this one truly stands out. I highly recommend it—the food is amazing, and the blueberry pie is an absolute must-try.

Fairly good place. Very popular and busy. We sat on the rooftop. The halibut fish and chips was average. The Chicken bowl was fantastic! My son had the Yak burger and liked it, but couldn’t finish it because it was so big. I’d recommend this place if you’re in Anchorage

Disappointed in this restaurant. Had to wait about 25 minutes for a table, which I didn’t mind, but the only area left to wait with chairs was across from the restrooms. 25 minutes of sitting next to the RR was a turn off. Please take the seats away from this area, it’s not a pleasant place to wait for a table before dining. Once we were seated I Had the Adventure Beer Flight and all of the selections were really good! I ordered fish and chips. The fish was just OK, the fries were awesome, and the Cole slaw was inedible, the flavor was off. No one else at the table liked it either. My wife had Mac and cheese and it was incredibly bland, it was thick like paste and she couldn’t finish it. Service was lacking and we went long periods without contact from our server. When we finally got our bill we paid and left without complaint so we could get checked into our hotel. When looking at our receipt noticed a 3.9% service charge that I had no idea what it was for (we only had 4 people in our party) and I was charged for fry sauce. When I was offered fry sauce our server never said it would be an up-charge. Just not a great experience here and can’t recommend.

This restaurant is amazing!! Would give 1000 ⭐ if I could. We had only one meal in Anchorage during our trip and after reading the reviews and local recommendations online we decided to go here and I'm so glad we did. The food is phenomenal, you gotta have the tuna nachos and the halibut and chips, they're amazing!! The yak burger and chicken wings were also phenomenal. Of course, the drinks were also fantastic, shout out to the 907 Pale Ale and the raspberry lemonade. And the service was great, our waiter Pawan was the best and the manager was constantly checking all tables to make sure everyone was having a great time. We hope to come back here sometime in the future.

We waited about an hour for a table, but it was absolutely worth it. Once seated on the top floor, we were treated to stunning views that made the experience even better. Our group tried a variety of dishes—including the halibut fish & chips, chicken bowl, crab mac and cheese sandwich, artichoke and crab dip, Parmesan-crusted halibut, and steak. Every single dish was a hit, and everyone left satisfied. Highly recommend!

What a gem of a restaurant in downtown Anchorage, Alaska. The setting is great and there are excellent views of the city from the outside deck. The food was amazing, flavorful and fresh. I enjoyed the Alaskan Adventurer Seafood Soup (bowl) along with a pretzel. The service was excellent as waiters were very attentive and only came around with checks when requested so our group felt relaxed and not rushed.

This was honestly the best meal I've had in a while. Our server was incredibly welcoming. Our meals were amazing. The Mama Mia! might be the winner. I appreciated the extensive kids menu. The Birds and the Trees was a great healthy option. Not sure how they cooked those carrots, but they were to die for!

Edit: changing my review. Previously had posted some frustration about showing up to a private dinner. However, we made it down the following weekend and were sat immediately. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the staff very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. I had the ribeye which was excellent. My daughter had the kids chicken, rice and broccoli dish and my wife had the bipimbop. Everything was great and all the food we saw coming out to other tables looked fantastic as well. Worth the 2nd attempt for sure and would love to come again. Prices were fair as well.

Great local spot. Ordered the halibut cheeks lettuce wraps🥰. Salmon bowl, and sausage pasta. Food was great, service was pretty slow, the gentleman next to us sent back his food and ordered something else and it took over 20 min to get his next dish.

Amazing dinner and great service from Ian! This gets crowded so enjoy a drink on the patio, or shop at the gift shop next door. When you get seated have the tagliatelle with Ragu and the Alaska burger! Both are excellent! The desert options are fantastic so leave room for one! VictorB

This by far was my favorite meal while in Anchorage. Perfectly cooked, fresh and creative. I was in a group and everyone loved their entrees and apps. The Mama Mia is best bolognese I’ve had anywhere and the salmon is just perfect.

i’m so glad I decided to look up restaurants on the way home from Seward instead of getting back to Amsterdam where everything was probably already closed. I called ahead to this restaurant because we were only gonna have 40 minutes before they close. They said come on in. Salmon was fantastic, also got yummy bimbap bowl and a cider on tap. Insanely beautiful views! Great customer service. Great music playlist for this “hip” millennial. 🤗

My friends and I arrived at Jack Spray after it was closed but the gentleman working allowed us in and let us order rose! It was such a nice gesture and created a fun memory for my friends as I as we were visiting Alaska on vacation! The rose was great and the atmosphere made it all the more magical. It was the perfect stop for a quick drink before exploring more of Girdwood. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting the Girdwood area!

Over the top food and drinks, artfully crafted to mimic an Upscale LA or NY experience. Very nice for special occasions. Modern food, incredibly attentive service with stellar recommendations. I’d term it posh but not pretentious in style, quite nice without feeling too fancy- well worth going at least once

amazing service and food! i went in for a solo dinner right when they opened and the staff was very sweet and attentive. i started with the tuna over crispy rice and it was very flavorful and a generous amount of tuna. the rice was the perfect texture, crispy but just soft enough to pair with the tuna. the steak frites was delicious. my steak cooked perfectly rare and the fries tasted very fresh. the banana foster cheesecake egg rolls were the perfect dessert. like actually insane once the server put them on my table it only took her like 3 minutes to take my cleared plate. i ordered them with vanilla ice cream which i highly suggest.

Great downtime-Anchorage dining experience with delicious, Asian-fusion food, cocktails, service, and ambiance. The restaurant offers many gluten-free and vegetarian options on the menu.

The dish I got was the scallop Mac and cheese and what a treat. Not nearly as overtly oily as it might suggest with the addition of peppers. My aunt got the green curry which she loved. Fair warning the hot sauce they make in house is HOT but so flavorful. Fantastic evening. Worth the money.

Like a dinner. The booths are really old. Your China is on the table. Our waiter was great. He just moved back to Anchorage and was very helpful. The meat quality was just ok. Over rated restaurant. The clams were cooked so long they had no flavor.

My husband and I didn't have reservations but we were lucky that there were seats available at the bar. We got that escargot, Halibut and New York strip (both were good but the Halibut was definitely our favorite!! ). It was nice and quiet in there which was nice.

My wife and I went to club Paris for a impromptu lunch date. Upon entering we were met with a line of people waiting. The restaurant was packed full on a Friday. Because we had plenty of time on our hands we decided we would go ahead and wait. It's lucky that we did because the weight was less than 15 minutes and we were sat and ready to order within minutes after that. I am one of the lunch specials a Alaska king crab melt with a side of fries. My wife had the lunch special of quiche Lorraine. It took a little while for the food to come out and our server was on top of the kitchen asking where was one of the items that she was missing for our meal. I think realizing their mistake the kitchen immediately dished up a plate of the quiche for my wife. My wife of course had some of my fries and some of my melt. Surprisingly she didn't offer me any of her quiche. I'm just now realizing this a day later that I got swindled. Anyways we both thoroughly enjoyed our food and enjoy the atmosphere. The service was outstanding the server was very attentive. My glass of water never got empty. She was always right on top of any of our needs. We were pleasantly surprised when the bill came out lunch was $32 and of course we added a tip. We were comparing it to a restaurant across the street, Sullivan's. The same meal at Sullivan's would have easily cost us over $100. And it would have been nowhere as tasty as what we had at club Paris. If you haven't been to club Paris I highly recommend it. We will definitely be going back for more impromptu lunch dates.

Our first Steak House in Anchorage. We tried all of the sides, the rib eye, filet mignon and crab legs. Here is our rating. Crab Legs - 10/10 - very good but very expensive. A pound of them set us back $170 Filet Mignon - 9/10- it was delicious and we had it stuffed with Blue Cheese. Cooked perfectly. Why a 9/10- because the filet just wasn’t a great cut. Most likely not prime beef. Rib Eye- 7/10 - Cooked a little heavy on one side- a lower quality rib eye- but still good. Steak Fries - 7/10 - good fries, nothing spectacular Rice Pilaf - 10/10 - AMAZING- enough said. Baked Potato- 9/10- gold potato-the toppings were good but cheese sauce was a little much Overall thus was a good place to eat. A little over priced, and a little slow due to them being extremely busy. The staff was AWESOME! Very good service and the waitress was hustling around the whole time. What could make this place better? IMO they need to either increase staff or reduce customers. The chefs and staff being overloaded took away from the quality of the meal. They need to use better quality meat (this might be something that is harder and more expensive to get in Alaska-my first time here so I only have the lower 48 steak houses to compare it to). Final thoughts- for a meal, with no alcohol drinks, that cost $365 before tax it was a little below average, and I would expect much more back home, even at a nice place in Lake Tahoe (overpriced). It was good food and amazing staff.

First thing I want to mention is reservations are HIGHLY recommended. We visited on a Wednesday evening without a reservation and got lucky with availability at the bar. Steve, bartender, was very attentive. Husband ordered the prime rib end cut and claimed it was incredible. I had the teriyaki chicken and found it delightful. Carrot cake was delicious. If you get the chance, please visit.

I am not from Alaska. I was just visiting. I decided to stop here with a couple of coworkers. This has been my favorite restaurant so far. Although it was a bit pricey, my steak was tender and amazing. I tried the filet mignon teriyaki steak tips. I also got to try the stuffed mushrooms which were also great. My steak fries also fantastic and they also have a sweet red wine which I loved because I often cannot drink wines at restaurants as they don't offer my favorite which is a sweet red. I am extremely impressed with the food Service was very quick with not a lot of waiting for your food. They also had bread which was also great. I had a really good experience here. I only spent just over 80 bucks for my food and a tip and two bottles of wine. The sweet red came in these little mini wine bottles.

They have lots if steaks to choose from but since i come from the Midwest I get steak all the time so instead I went with the scallops cerole.

Right away when The Marx Bro’s Cafe announced on social media they were retiring, I made a reservation for my husband and I’s anniversary. Over the past month I’ve heard of people unable to get reservations and a BIG wait list. Last night it was finally time for our reservation and it was an amazing experience and maybe not for the reasons you think. Sure, the food was delicious & yes the service/timing was impeccable as always, but the realization of the history and personal connections/impact is what stood out most to me. Our server was the same server who helped us last time we were in for my husband’s birthday. I sat there wondering what their employees would move on to next, if I could get a recipe book, where the art was going and who would take the building over next. I looked around and saw many friends and families enjoying their night laughing, smiling & reminiscing. I asked the gentleman making our Caesar salad what his plans were after the restaurant closed next week. “Be a farmer,” he said. He has never been a farmer before, but will be able to spend time with family he hasn’t seen in years. He will be driving the Alcan with family to Mexico. Alaska provided an opportunity for him to pay off his debts, work hard and create a life he only ever dreamed of. He came to AK to get away from CA, where he could no longer sell cars, due to living the fast life of too many speeding tickets. Our conversation was a lot longer, but you could tell Van, Jack and his other restaurant family has had a big impact on his life. I hope the best for him on his new journey. On the art, I noticed round pink garage sale stickers. I asked what they were for. They were pieces that had already been sold and a couple he pointed out the owners were keeping for themselves. There was only 4 left, not claimed yet. How cool for people to have a piece of history. Now, who would take the building over? I for sure thought another restaurant would swoop it up, but then there’s the risk of the new owners changing too much/ruining what’s been built up for 40+ years. A non profit that makes meals for the homeless will occupy the building, which I think is wonderful. We also discussed their chef who sadly passed years ago and the connections. I’m a 911 operator and vividly remember the day we got the call. Sounds like all who knew him were very lucky. I also overhead a guest conversation about someone not being present working last night. The reason was due to the abuse they’d been receiving for the past two weeks, with people unhappy they were unable to secure reservations. This makes me sad. This is not the Anchorage I want to be a part of, where we send beloved members of our community into retirement in a hateful way because we don’t get something we want. We can do better! Sure, easy for me to say since we did get a reservation, but I would feel the same way even if I didn’t get one. We should be celebrating, respecting, encouraging and thanking this fine establishment into retirement and remember how blessed we are for the legacy they’re leaving behind and ever even being a part of our community. P.S. the halibut cheeks, Caesar salad & scallops were my favorite from our meal. We didn’t have room for dessert unfortunately. I wanted one of everything, but my body said otherwise.

Definitely, a must visit when in Anchorage. Small menu, nice wine list, not huge, but solid selection. My friend who loves craft beers had a good selection and was happy to see what they had. All in all, great meal, our Server, Amanda was perfect! Go and treat yourself. Oh yeah, someone in our party had a dairy allergy and they were great at checking with the Chef and offering options. That doesn't always happen but Amanda made it easy for us.

Tried this place based on reviews seen. I give this place 4 stars. The negatives for me were waiting a long time for dinner after the appetizers, but it is also a small place as was quite busy at the time of our seating. Second negative, both dinners were not hot just warm. The dinners we tried were the Kodiak scallops and the halibut. The appetizer was halibut cheeks which were amazing, and were served hot. We tried tiramisu and carrot cake and both were great!! Waitstaff were friendly and attentive. Definitely a place to try if you have not been here.

Delicious food especially on a cold Alaskan night. Marx Brothers has great service and very cosey atmosphere perfect for a double date. All (4) of us had the Ossu Bocco, which was incredibly delicious. We started with the Melitzano Salata, Alaskan Oysters, and Smoked Pork Belly. Everything was the perfect temperature, and tasted fantastic. Searched around a few places as we visited family here from Maryland, and were satisfied with the Marx Brothers. Hope to stop by on our next visit!

Phenomenal food in a cozy atmosphere with excellent, attentive staff. We had the duck, the shrimp and a rockfish special with the chocolate mousse, the cheesecake and the berry crisp. Every dish was delicious and the presentation was fantastic.

The best ceaser salad I ever ate. The steak was like cutting into butter. My snapper was deliciously delightful.Music was pleasing to my soul.Ambiance lovely. The staff very pleasant and inviting.

OMG, excellent dinner and service. Was greeted/seated by a very pleasant young lady and Mr. Van, himself! The appetizer of foie gras is literally 'melt in your mouth' buttery smooth, amazing. We enjoyed fresh baked bread with olive oil, entree of Salmon with an increditable red pepper sauce, entree of scallops, shrimp, housemade spinach noodles with roasted broccoli. All was prepared with perfection.

My boyfriend and I had the best time there last night. We were there celebrating 17 years of being together and they went out of their way to make it a very special evening for us. Even left a little happy anniversary note! The service and our waitress ( I wish I could remember her name, I'm so sorry!) Was incredible. She never let our glasses go empty and was cheerful and had a great personality. The food was so tasty and perfectly cooked. They gave us a beautiful table by the fireplace with lots of views to enjoy our date and meal. Thank you all for making this a memorable night out for us!

They went above and beyond for us. I made a reservation online with OpenTable, and in the reservation it allowed me to choose that it was our anniversary and had a spot for a note. I said we were celebrating our 2nd wedding anniversary and didn’t think much more about it, but they took it seriously! To our surprise when we got there we had a lovely table by the fireplace, with a nice tablecloth, flowers, and a card with included a free dessert for us to share. Our waiter gave us extra attention and it was a great night. We definitely will be going back and greatly appreciate their efforts to make our evening special.

We love the food it was amazing we had our wedding there the staff is amazing and friendly best burger and steak I've had in a long time! The catering for our wedding reception was awesome the venue was very beautiful and very cool inside especially for dancing. We will definitely be returning to settlers Bay Lodge ❤️

We were visiting family and celebrating my birthday. I am a professional chef and wanted to eat at a nice place. The menu looked wonderful so we decided to come the Lodge for dinner. It did not disappoint! Our dinner was delicious!! Our server Kelsey (hope that’s her name) was amazing! She was very patient with my senior parents and took the time to answer all their questions. She took care of our every need. This was a memorable experience and thank you for having the perfect staff to ensure that expectations are successful.

First off the salad wasn’t cool and crisp but not a big deal, was still okay. Me and my wife ordered the prime rib to share, we asked for it to be cooked medium and when brought out it was heavy on the raw side with pink all the way to the edge. We sent it back and I’m pretty sure they nuked it in the microwave, it was still the same cut when brought back out. The meat was super chewy sand loaded with tendons in almost every bite. We let our waitress know that it was not good and we still ended up paying a premium price for a bad cut of meat. We did bring home the left overs for our dogs, they enjoyed it.

The food was Okay. Nothing to be excited about. The calamari was amazing but everything else went downhill from there. The bread was cold and just sliced sandwich bread, nothing special. The salads were mediocre, flavors blended and not that great. I had the beet salad and my husband had the Cesar salad, his was way too vinegary not even sure it they even used anchovy sauce. The pasta was horrrrrrible not even cooked properly and the sauce was bland and not very favorable. I had the ribeye steak and it was totally fatty could barely eat. Seasoned Veggies were two pieces of zucchini and a ton of mashed potatoes. The chutney was cold and not great. Jen's is one of Anchorage's best kept secrets. The food is high end. The service is great and the employees really care to provide a great experience. We had oysters and they were delicious. The filet I had was as a great cut and portion. The cherry-bacon compote on top was spectacular. The deserts really hit a home run for us. The key lime pie, flourless chocolate cake and carrot cake are 3 of my favorites and they were all amazing.

Loved this place. The staff were friendly and attentive. Katherine was great! I wish I hadn't aggressively eaten the charcuterie board before I could get a picture. It had so many flavor combinations to try. The the house salad with the strawberry vinaigrette was light and refreshing as it was a bit warm outside today. Our steaks were seasoned and cooked perfectly. My filet fell apart in my mouth. The scalloped potatoes were a perfect contrast to the seasoned filet. We will see you again! Thanks 😁

Our first time in Alaska with friends. We found this place and what a gem! We had the halibut and rockfish. Appetizer was the calamari. Everything was awesome! They even accommodated my dietary restrictions. Highly recommended for a very nice night out.

This restaurant is on my list of top 5 restaurants to visit in Anchorage. If you have an opportunity to dine here enjoy it. The dining area is not large, so make sure to have reservations in advance.

I started with the fried brie, and it was fantastic. Took most home so I could eat my meal. 2nd, I had the beet salad, was unimpressed - the beets were to be roasted, they tasted canned; too much basil oil- would not get again. Lastly, I got the 1/2 order halibut cheeks over risotto. I highly recommend it! Full of flavor, took most of that home as well. If possible, the leftovers were even better the next day. My husband got the fish and chips, he said the halibut was great. Service was good. We called ahead for a table. They were busy.

The Calamari Steak was a true masterpiece—perfectly pan-seared and topped with a delightful tomato and herb Béarnaise sauce, which paired wonderfully with the garlic bread! The pan-seared Halibut cheeks, lightly dusted and served on a rich pancetta and pea risotto, were also extraordinary. Adding lemon brown butter, fragrant basil oil, and a zesty Balsamic reduction created an incredible flavor explosion with every bite! And let’s not forget the lemon cheesecake—it’s an absolute game-changer in desserts! What an incredible dining experience!

We chose Kinley's for our weekly date night and thoroughly enjoyed it starting with perfectly executed martini's (bartender pictured!)! I had the raw oysters which were deliciously briny and Blake had the Oysters Rockafeller which were decadently perfect. We both had the house salad and mine was topped with the best pan seared piece of halibut I've ever eaten. Blake had the duck with risotto and a medley of veggies and rice. Highly recommend this restaurant for quality and good value.

The food was phenomenal. Not sure what else to say. There is a genuine chef and we were served an amazing meal. I do love the food here and it is more than a worthwhile stop when you are in town. To caveat this, I am an Alaskan local. If halibut cheeks are on the menu, I highly recommend.

I like how creative the menu is at kinley's. And the bartenders make good cocktails. The staff is great. I've always had excellent service when going to this restaurant. I've been there with friends, with kids but not very often with kids. I have also headed there for an early dinner before heading home after work. I enjoy the atmosphere. I love their calamari. The halibut cheeks and risotto were delicious!! I also enjoyed the duck! I've never had their burgers but my friend's son got it and he ate the whole burger!! He said it was great! We finished dinner with the pecan torte!! OMG! It was so good. I love how beautiful it was on the plate. Food presentation is excellent at kinley's. If you like that kind of thing. I do. I love how food is displayed. Also I like their French onion soup. I forgot to take a picture of the French onion soup and the calamari.

Great meal, flavors were all spot on. The hummus with the fried pita was very well done. The French onion soup was solid, both the cheeks and almond encrusted halibut were on point. The red sauce really is what took the almond encrusted to the next level. Desert was the truffle cake. Darn good. Could use a little more of the raspberry sauce but really hit the spot with a little coffee.

Middle Way Cafe is a modern restaurant in that you irder your food at the register and then seat yourself. We ate there foe breakfast and if you ordered drip coffee or water, you serve yourself. When you are finished with your meal, you clean your own table by clearing your dishes. We had a group of 9 and the average report for the food was a 4 out of 5. I got the western omelet and it came with home fries and toast and it was $19.95 prior to tax. Overall, I would recommend and eat there again.

MUST try their GF DF carrot cake cupcakes. Amazing. Wait time On food and coffee will Be unreasonably long usually. Sometimes the food is super amazing and sometimes you’ll have to ask them to remake it. We’ve been coming here for 18 years and still love it even when it can be bad sometimes. In anchorage this is my favorite cafe as they have amazing options and the best hot beverages. However: the gluten free cookies and cupcakes and other treats they have are absolutely the best in town. They have different GF treats whenever we go. I love their selection. If only other places had such amazing gf treats. Not sure about their food options. Their matcha latte and coffee are just bomb. Service is either amazing and lovely or some atitude depending on who you get. We usually the the lovely people!

I am sick to my stomach and really hate to write these kind of reviews. I got a breakfast burrito from here this morning and as i was eating it something just tasted REALLY off and spoiled. I looked inside the burrito and immediately realized why as I pulled out a bunch of extremely old & spoiled avocados from my burrito (that I paid almost $22 for) very sad as I am so grossed out, they had to of known they put these avocados in my food as they were making it.

So many gluten free options! There were lots of gluten free baked goods. I tried the gf banana bread which was super tasty. They also had gf chocolate chip cookies, carrot cake, cupcakes, lemon bars, and strawberry jam bar. I had the tofu stack for breakfast (gf and vegan) which was very good. Would definitely come back!

Omg this place is everything! I was traveling in Anchorage for two weeks and ended up coming here at least 4 or 5 times — that’s how good it is. We mostly came for breakfast and lunch, and it quickly became a staple for us during our stay. As a vegetarian, I was so happy with how many options there were — not only plenty of choices, but everything felt fresh, healthy, and made with care. The food was consistently delicious every single time. The vibe of the café is also just perfect: cozy, cute, and modern without being pretentious. It’s the kind of place where you feel good hanging out for a while. The staff was always welcoming and kind, which made the experience even better. Honestly, I could not recommend Middle Way Café enough if you’re in Anchorage — whether you’re looking for a great meal, healthy options, or just a place to relax, this is the spot.

I ordered the wrong dish and didn't realize until it came that it was inedible for my diet. Daniel came to my table, showed me the ingredient list and helped me pick out a dish that worked for me. The Baja bowl hit the spot! Great service and food. Thank you!

Middle away Cafe is fantastic. In terms of quality and quantity, you get what you pay for and more! In my experience, the food has always been better in-house than to-go order. I can’t say enough about the quality of the food ingredients and the pleasant feeling it leaves on the stomach post gorge. Enjoy!

We came to this restaurant on a Sunday morning and it was packed! We ended up sitting at the bar. The food was delicious and very filling but it did take quite a while for it to come out which was a disappointing. The staff were super friendly and attentive. I would recommend making a reservation before coming here if you do not want a long wait!

Spot on as always🔥 I never would order a porkchop out until I had it here first. It changed my perspective and I will now order them out at resturants of this caliber. Its been wonderful every time. The mocktails are very well done as well.

Visiting my friend and popped in for breakfast. We went to the coffee first. We ordered a dirty chai and mocha. Because the coffee is freshly made expect a little wait time. The dirt chai was amazing. We then went over to dine. We were sat immediately. The server was very nice and accommodating. We ordered the death by bacon sandwich, Benedict with crab plus scallop cake and a single order of the sourdough pancake. The sourdough pancake was seriously unique. I loved that it was crepe like. You can taste a hint of sourdough. The death by bacon was extremely flavorful. The Benedict was amazing and the brioche bread it as served on was super soft. You won’t go wrong ordering any of these items.

Get on the Yelp waitlist before heading over to save time. The staff here are friendly and fast. We ordered the avocado toast with egg and bacon, plus the two eggs any style with a side of the pouch. For drinks, we tried the Kobuk Samovar tea and an espresso. The tea was a bit too heavy on cinnamon and sugar for my taste, but overall it was a good experience.

Stopped here for dessert, and it was scrumptious! There were some creative items on the menu, and our tea came in aesthetic little glass bulbs. Service was informative, professional, and extremely friendly. The whole restaurant is very cute--modern but cozy.

We had a delightful breakfast at South. The staff were welcoming and attentive. Our water came to the table often to make sure we had everything we needed. All the food we had was delicious, especially the Pavlova. It’s to die for.

My friend took me to South Restaurant + Coffeehouse for brunch for the first time, and I loved it! The place is super cute and modern, the service was friendly and fast, and the potatoes from my eggs benedict were honestly some of the best I’ve ever had. I’ll definitely be coming back!

We came here for an early Valentines celebration, and were able to get seated immediately at the high tables near the bar. Honestly, my only concern is that the tables and chairs are pretty wobbly so we ended up putting out drinks by the window. We ordered the Baby back ribs, i don’t feel like it had to be on an HUGE plate lol but the ribs were a 10/10 for me. The sauce was amazing and the pickled cabbage complimented the dish well. We also ordered the Rib Eye (Valentines Special). Personally I would give it a 7/10 just because i thought the corn crema would be good on top of the steak, but I wasn’t a fan of it. The steak was cooked perfectly though! My husband loved the corn crema though. Lastly, we ordered the Prime Rib Sandwich with the fresh pickled horseradish on the side. The prime rib was cooked perfectly and I loved that having the fresh horseradish on the side so I could put as much or as little as i wanted. The horseradish sauce was just a little too sweet for me? It was delicious and would give it a 9/10. Overall, we had a great time and the service was great! Will definitely be back again to try different menu items!

1st off - dinner was fine. No problems or issues. Very good attentive service. I guess the menu is just a bit too eclectic for me so this is mostly a Me problem. They do sell a lot of alcohol here, I'm not much of a drinker but I do enjoy a sweet bubbly Moscato.. their house Moscato is not really sweet and honestly tastes more like a beer. The bread they bring to the table is good.. nice flavor with roasted tomato baked in. I would order that to go! I ordered their bacon cheeseburger, server came back & said they were out but could make one with Kobe beef. OK! But the cook killed it. It was really over cooked and dry. A crime if you ask me! Made even drier served on a cold ciabatta roll.. At least the cow had a good life! Would i go again? Probably only if I got a gift card.

The food was great. I did enjoy the appetizers better than the entree. Service was the best. The girl we had was amazing on the bar side. As far as the atmosphere, it was good but we sat by the bar area where I guess there was a door and a lot of people were coming in and out from there. Had the shrimp and scallops for the entree which was okay but loved the wonton nachos and mushroom fritters!

Decided to spoil myself on this birthday celebration and will give an honest review. Everything was great, especially the kind and friendly service. Cake was not my cup of tea, but the crab was amazing overall. The real surprise that the steam pot crab had more underneath! Though do beware, it's one and a half pound of king crab, and yes, that was $165 worth all to myself. A once a year for myself. Atmosphere was average for me, but to each their own. I'll come back to try the ribs later.

Everything was better than expected. I have heard mixed reviews, so I was a little hesitant. The Clams and Mussels app was able to be ordered as just clams, which I found to be very accommodating. The sauce was not cooked down, though, but it was still good enough to dip the bread in, which was also delicious. Just know when they say "shaved horseradish root", it's not mixed into any sort of sour cream. I had the prime rib. Pile of dry horseradish root on the side. Wasn't spicy and texturally, did not work for me AT ALL. Ended up just eating the side and took the prime rib home. Thankfully, I had some horseradish cream on hand and had a nice midnight snack. 5 stars for overall flavor, service, and presentation. Price point was fair as well.

These chineese nachos which idk why r chineese and not japaneese have an amazing sauce with a good hit of wasabi, the meat was also cooked well. Excited to come again and update my review!

We came here Saturday night for our wedding anniversary. We started off with Cesar Salads and I got a cup of the Seafood Chowder. It was the best I ever had. For the main course, I ordered the Prime Rib and my wife ordered the Halibut. Both dishes were cooked perfectly. My wife says she wished she could have a jar of the sauce they put on her halibut. It was fantastic! For desert we got the berry chrisp which was also very good. The service was excellent and staff very friendly. We believe the general manager stopped by our table to check in and he was very nice. Thanks for making our dinner very nice! We will be back.

We stopped for lunch at Great Harvest Bread Company where the breads are outstanding and certainly among the best we have had around the world. We ordered two different turkey sandwiches. Unfortunately, they were incorrectly prepared as if half of each was added to the other. My wife got two loads of turkey without veggies, and I got two loads of veggies without turkey. We realized the mistake after we were well into the meal so we didn’t bother to see if they would fix it. We were full as the serving size is ample. We did try their cinnamon rolls, which were very good. So, on the one hand, the breads are excellent and the sandwiches are potentially a 5 out of 5 stars when correctly prepared. I would rate the cinnamon roll at 4 of 5 as I like Cinnabon icing but my wife would rate it a 5 because she’s not enamored of icing. The seating is comfortable and there is plenty of parking. If you enjoy fresh bread, this is a great place.

Everything is delicious and made fresh onsite. Staff are so nice. Free piece of bread. Wonderful breads, baked goods, and sandwiches. You can get your breakfast or lunch sandwich on any type of bread (with free cookie). Nice clean store with plenty of seating.

This place is amazing!! Do not miss out on trying this place. They have baked goods, salads and sandwiches. I have the July sandwich turkey Cobb and it was great. And this is the first time in a long time that I ate before I took the picture. 😔 10/10 recommend go in and order some fresh baked bread and sandwich. Oh and you can order online!!

I was excited to hear this very fond of bakery/sandwich shop was opening In wasilla so I came to Anchorage to try it out. Atmosphere was busy and cold. The service was minimum offering no specials no suggestions and did not listen to my order thus lead to making my sandwich incorrectly. While the bread tasted good the sandwich was literally a Home made sandwich cut in half and then I was charged $10 for it with no opportunity for a drink. Nothing special about this place. I am still hungry. My sandwich was wrong and now I have no desire to go to the new Wasilla location when it opens. I am tired of expensive Alaskan shops that provide minimum services and basic products for a high price.

Order cinnamon rolls, they were a little dry. The scones where just bread texture not a scone. While waiting for our order saw an employee working at making bread (putting dough in pans no gloves on) he looked at his phone put it back in his pocket and then continued to touch the dough. Not very sanitary.

Yuuuum! This place rocks with a huge variety of fresh breads and pastries. The service is fast and friendly and with your purchase they offer a free slice of one of a selection of goodies. We bought the cheese loaf and ate off it for three days and it was delicious to the last.

Delicious! My favorite breakfast sandwich is the Red Rooster on Rye- absolutely recommend. The bread selection is also wonderful. Some of their more popular loaves sell out earlier though so I’d recommend going earlier in the day if you want to grab a whole loaf. I like that they offer samples while you wait, which are also very decent in size btw! Coffee selection is limited, but still good for what you get and the staff are very friendly! Overall, definitely a place that you’ll go to more than once.

We stopped in here twice on our visit to Anchorage. Once with a food tour, then again on our own to get another donut and the samovar tea. They have fresh old-fashioned donuts in vanilla, birch, fireweed, cinnamon. We had them all and they were all delicious. It is a great little shop with all kinds of gift and souvenir items.

The Coffee Shop is also apparently really good with scrumptious old fashioned donuts - but just missed ‘em since they closed early on Saturdays.

This is a quirky gift shop with a coffee/doughnut shop almost hidden in the back! They also have a backyard seating area for enjoying the coffee and apparently beer! This was our first time visiting this store and I’m impressed! They have a ton of gifts from candy, to magnets, funny sayings/quotes, soaps, candles and more! We didnt get to try the bakery/coffee shop out though. Nina was super nice and gave the kids free candy samples as my wife shopped around. Great environment and friendly people, highly recommend!

There's SO much to see here! There's such a variety of cute gifts, souvenirs, and knick knacks you can certainly spend a while browsing through it all. The café is the backside of the shop is nice, too. I enjoyed the Rose Garden Iced Tea Latte special. It wasn't very big, but was certainly delicious. I think in the future, I'll ask for light ice.

So I heard so much about this place (reviews, YouTube, tour manager, fellow travelers). Thus, I can't leave Anchorage without visiting it. I was set to taste the famous Samovar glazed and Fireweed glazed donut. I was expecting something that tastes extraordinary, but it's just okay for me. Could it be that it was not freshly made? Like not fresh from the oven, I was expecting that it would be hot and tasty as what the other described. But nope, I was disappointed and couldn't really differentiate it from other best tasting donuts I had. There were 4 customers, including us, when we came. The cappuccino we ordered took a while to get served. I didn't order the famous Samovar tea. I was able to taste it, though (there's a free tea tasting within the store area). And I can say that Samovar tea is just as what they hype it for...perfectly blended if I may say. I love it and it is worth buying for your stash of tea or as gift.

Took my father (he has severe dementia). We went 3 days in a row and each of the staff that served us was very patient and kind to both of us. They did not rush us and was patient. I food was cooked very well and tasty. I would recommend Village Inn to anyone who would like a good meal with good service!

I've been here for years, and of course it'll change over time, never the same as it used to. Food is as decent as ever for a quick homestyle breakfast in the morning, or you can be laid bad and enjoy the coffee for longer. Service is always welcoming and friendly. Surprised to get the old fun yellow cup after so long. Great place to enjoy with family and friends.

It’s been a while since we visited Village Inn, so we decided to give it another try. We arrived on a busy Sunday, expecting a wait, but we were promptly seated. We had our orders ready and placed them right away. The waitress was friendly and brought us water and coffee. However, after that, we didn’t see her again. We waited over 40 minutes for our food, while others who arrived after us received their meals before us. No one acknowledged our presence or checked in on us. We were about to leave and go somewhere else when the waitress finally came with our food and apologized. The food was at least fresh and tasted good, but the poor service completely ruined the experience for us. We’ll be sticking to our usual small business breakfast spots in the future.

Where to start… You can tell management has been lacking for a long time here. When we arrived, party of 3. We were told there were no tables available. I counted 3 on the back wall and one on each side of the restaurant. It’s one thing to be short staffed but to have people wait 30 minutes to be seated at the same tables that sat empty. Wow. We ordered our food. My mother in law ordered the Chicken Fried steak skillet, that’s not what she got. My husband ordered a ham and sausage omelette with hashbrowns, he got a skillet. I ordered a Chicken Ranch sandwich, but you don’t actually have ranch on the sandwich. Ugh. I’m glad we don’t have to return as we were passing through. This place desperately needs some to organize them.

I used to love eating here but I will never be back again. My family was refused service and blatantly ignored by staff and servers. Tried several times to get their attention, waving at the servers just trying to get a menu at least. Waited 10-15 minutes and were refused service, just for being native, they had maybe 4 tables so it wasn't because they were busy. Watched as they served everyone else but looked at us and walked away not once twice three but FOUR times. If you are native, do not bother coming here, they do not want our business!! I'm really disappointed being discriminated against in an establishment we have gone to for breakfast for a long time.

Excellent customer service, fast, clean great atmosphere. I got a braise beef soup, mocha cake and shu mai. The soup was alright it was lacking some flavors it tasted bland to me, the cake was perfect moist and soft, it wasn’t too sweet it was just perfect and the shu mai was good. I got the pork and shrimp and it was good. My second time here and it’s always packed, I’ll need to try more food on the menu’s. I’ll go back for another visit

Came in for lunch with friends, and we all enjoyed our experience. Food was flavorful, and the textures were perfect. The environment is very clean, and the food came out at a good pace. I got a desert to go but it wasn't to my taste, it wasn't sweet at all. Not a complaint, but just a warning if you're expecting a sweet treat.

I have always loved the cake here, and i asked if we can do a special order since i live out of town but still within the state. I asked if we can pack it a bit more secure than they usually do because i will be having it delivered through air cargo and they said they don’t have anything to stabilize and not to worry because the cake will be secured. When i got it, it was all pushed to one side as you can see in the picture. Flavor was still good but if they can find a way to secure the cake with cake dowels or something to keep it from shifting during delivery would be amazing. If that were to happen, i would most definitely keep ordering cake from here just to have it delivered out of town. If not, then i guess the only option for me is to just fly over and pick it up myself.

Ordered the Bean curd roll, spicy seafood noodle soup, sesame salad with chicken and beef chow mein. The bean curd roll was so tasty and was amazing! The beef chow mein was also noteworthy! However, the sesame salad was too sweet, though the chicken wasn’t bad. The spicy seafood noodle soup lacked flavor and was not super spicy. Also got eggs tarts, but they were not super flaky… This restaurant is still pretty nice and is very affordable.

The food was decent. I got the BBQ beef short ribs—chewy, as you'd expect from this cut, but they could’ve used a bit more flavor to really shine. The rice and veggie mix on the side was fresh and tasty, which helped round out the plate. The place has more of a food court vibe, and the table I sat at was a little sticky. The staff seemed a bit tired but still friendly. Overall, it didn’t quite live up to the hype for me, but I’d come back to try a different dish and give it another shot.

I really wanted to see what the food was all about since I heard this is where the best Chinese food was at. I got the $15.95 per plate Mongolian beef and broccoli chicken. I wanted it to be good but it wasn’t, so dry and salty! The meat was a bit rubbery and why is my food mixed together with my rice? Can that not be separated? The cashier was unpleasant too, felt like she was rushing me, and seating was just too crowded.

I came in a busy time for lunch but the line was quick so I have no problem with it. First thing first you have to do is look for the menus they put on their wall and order it from cashier. You have to do it quickly because the people behind you keep coming

Came at 7:00 n a Saturday and got seated right away. Our waitress Jody was lovely and attentive. Had Kale salad, Caesar salad and split the Beef Ragu special. Topped off with espresso Creme Brulee. Everything was excellent and generous portions. Great ambiance in a quaint setting. Highly recommend

I made the move and ordered the soup of the day the other weekend—like a true fan girl. And y’all… I’m still dreaming about it. Apple, carrot, and ginger?! I could literally drink that on repeat forever. Like, put it in an IV, I’m ready. 🍎🥕✨ SERIOUSLY. And don’t even get me started on the Apple Brie Croissant (I added bacon as well). The crunch? The sweet-meets-savory drama?? Iconic. 10/10 would order it all again.

It was the perfect evening. We were undecided on where to eat and wandered in. We sat outside looking at the mountains. The wine was great and the food was even better. The service was so personable and it was our favorite night so far on our Alaskan adventure. We had salmon cakes as an appetizer, Halibut and a shrimp Caesar for our main course and then espresso creme brulee for dessert.

Ended up here by default as many restaurants were closed on a Monday evening but so happy we did! It was a busy night so we had a short wait. Sat outside at a high top. The staff were all pleasant even though they were busy. The wine and food were outstanding. Especially loved the clam appetizer and the kale salad. Don’t hesitate to eat here!

We had the perfect dinner experience. Every bite was perfectly cooked, delicious new flavors and beautifully presented. Friendly, helpful and efficient staff. Good wine. My husband kept commenting on how he liked the music playlist. Highly recommend.

I went to Hearth Artisan Pizza with a group of friends and we sat outside on the patio — they even had heaters, which made it super cozy. The place itself is adorable, and the menu is really unique. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the pizzas were, and the chocolate pudding was absolutely to die for. The service was also excellent — our server was from Montreal and she was so sweet and helpful, which made the experience even better. I’d definitely go back again next time I’m in Anchorage!

Several locals have been recommending this place to me as the best pizza in Anchorage, and I finally gave in and gave them a try. Theys mostly serve simple, straight-forward pizzas, with nothing too. They have a good-looking menu of sides and apps, too. I had the sweet potato pie and brussels sprouts. I'm not a thin crust guy in general, so I'm a little biased, but their crust was decent to me. They're not heavy on the cheese or sauces, which allowed for the other toppings to shine a little bit more. There were big chunks of chicken and a good kick of heat mixed with sweetness. It was a solid pizza and I enjoyed it. The brussels were pretty decent; they could have been crispier, but the bacon jam added a nice flavor. Ordering ahead online was convenient, and my food was ready in 30ish minutes at an early dinner hour. I wouldn't deter anybody from giving this place a try!

Pizza is always really dang good here. The Hot Mess is probably my favorite. The desserts are amazing too. Love the avocado pudding and the chocolate torte. Hope they have the spiced wine for the holidays again!

Great place for pizza. Being vegetarians we tried the Farmer’s pizza and an exotic one - with Beet pesto sauce ! Both were good. We could watch the Pizza being made freshly and baked in the oven. Would have loved to have some Italian spices like oregano - but to our surprise they did not have ! Super service and reasonable price for the cool ambiance

The name, simply in it's own essence is enough. The pizza served at this establishment is very well done. Scratch the 10 or 15 you might pay somewhere else for something simple, and spend 16-22 ish on something that's made with higher quality products. There isnt a place in town that beats it really. Dont waste your time, check out what Hearth has to offer. *Update! Been here many times after this review and everything has always been spot on. This evening, the Lamb Kebabs and the Pozole was ordered and both were wonderful.

Even just eating here solo at a table, the staff was 10/10 making me feel comfortable and giving great menu recommendations. Like, beet IPA?! Never would’ve tried that without a sampler but it was great. Also, I’m not a vegan, but I ordered their vegan Voodoo Child pizza with hot honey and it was one of the best pizzas ever, vegan or not. Great food, great service, I’ll be back!

To-go order was made wrong. Turkey sub was wrapped up with no onion sticker on it as ordered. Opened it up and it was covered with them. Sandwich was basic with only a few toppings and tasted just ok. Definitely not worth the price. Very disappointed after all the hype I heard about this place.

I thoroughly enjoyed two different salads and small sub sandwiches I had last week. The chef salad and Asian chicken salad were fresh and delicious. Both dressings were perfect for each salad.

The Pineapple Baklava is exciting to think about. It was magnificent. The Gyro plate was very filling so I only had room for one Baklava, not both, but it was still very tasty with a Mocha the next day.

Antonio's Greek bakery is amazing, the food is unbelievably wonderfully awesome, and the owner is always a pleasant gem of a man! The potatoes and salads that accompany the dinner are delicious, gyros and spanakopi the best I've ever had and the dessert is absolutely heavenly. My wife loves this place and I have become a huge fan and wish we lived in Anchorage so we could come more often!

We got gyros and by far the best spanakapita I've ever tasted. The baklava was incredible and he introduced us to melomakarona, which tasted like the holidays and happiness. Will definitely be going back to try dining in to get more of this delicious food!

Chef was very nice. Flavorful pastitsio and pastries. (Especially the cinnamon cookies that he said are an Anchorage favorite!)

Antonio’s entrees are consistently yummy with massive portions. Lemon chicken is a favorite and the meat pie is satisfying. Do not skip the dessert!

I love supporting local restaurants. The owner is so adorable and so personable. Dine in is temporarily closed, it is only take out only however you can wait in there while the food is prepared and then listen to some good Greek songs.

Crepes were great! We ordered a ham and Swiss and a Nutella and banana one. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the food was good, however, the Turkish coffee was a huge disappointment! They have the mechanism but did not blend it enough and at the end it was hot water with grainy coffee, nothing like what we have had in Istanbul, Turkey or Malta. I had ordered 2 because I was sure I would love it but definitely the young man making it needed further training

We were wandering and shopping and being generally boring tourists in downtown Anchorage when I spotted this spot from across the street. With all things here in Alaska I was hoping to find a fish with salmon and I wasn't disappointed. I got the Alaskan Smoked King Salmon crepe and the wife got the Alaskan Reindeer and we shared a brie, walnuts and honey for dessert. The venue is pretty chill, a little granola vibe. Service was quick and helpful. Docked a star after the wife's crepe missed one of the fillings, mine had multiple fish bones (though very tasty), and the sweet crepe had so little honey it tasted like a savory crepe. Overall solid experience but a few drawbacks. I'd give em a second try though.

I love this place. They have some cute little wicker chairs in the front. They have regular style tables and they have some comfy chairs around small tables in the center of the room. They offer free Wi-Fi for guests and they were so so friendly. They have their own specialty coffees and they offer both sweet and savory crêpes and it was super nice.

Nice place, not cozy, but several seating options. The crepes were good, by wife really enjoyed her Paris crepe. I had the Alaskan Reindeer, which as OK, the sausage was good but I think if the peppers had been roasted it would have had more flavor. Pricing was a little high, and the sandwich board outside did not match the pricing inside. Staff was very friendly.

Best crapes east of France! Really enjoyed the smoked king salmon crepe. So full of salmon, cheeses, capers and spinach that I could barely eat it all. Unfortunately I didn’t get the chance to try desert crepes that looked so good. Perfect meal and comfortable environment.

Cute and cozy crepe restaurant with sweet and savory options. Ordered the Alaskan Reindeer (peppers, cheese, reindeer sausage) and the Mama Mia latte. Would recommend and would definitely like to come back to try more of their menu.

Staff is friendly and fast. The crepes are just okay. 3 stars because their coffee was too sweet and had too much syrup that you can barely taste the coffee. The matcha was one of the worst matchas I had.

I recently visited Sicily's Pizza and was impressed! The pizza was fantastic, clearly made with fresh ingredients that really shine through in every bite. Sicily's pizza was really fantastic. We did delivery, they were prompt and the pizzas were fresh and absolutely delicious. The crust was superb, the sauce was delicious, the toppings were fresh and generous. My only complaint was that the pizza wasn't cut very well, but it's not enough of a problem to even drop a star. If you're after pizza in Anchorage, give Sicily's a try!

Actually the worst gyro I've ever had. 3 small pieces of meat, crunchy bread, and very much not worth the price. Never again. I will say, I picked up this order and the dude in the store was super cool - I hope he enjoys life<3

Had ot delivered to our hotel room. It did take them an hour but it was freshly made and we ordered pizza around 8 that night. The calzones were huge we all made two meals out of it. Some of the best we've ever had!

This is the way pizza should be made. Solid crust, good sauce and a lot of quality cheese and toppings. Overall, it gave a great taste and was very filling.

They have so many options for you. The right consistency, texture, and taste. Highly recommend stopping by. Change it up from donuts and grab some tasty pastries for a work function or meeting. It will bring the morale up!

Absolute hidden gem of a bakery! Our second visit was today. My little guy especially loves the mini fruit pies and chocolate. I also got my second jar of their fire weed honey today, and it is delicious in our tea. Highly recommend them for all your sweet treat desires 😀

The food was aweful. I could tell my cookie was days old. It was stale. Nothing in there was really European, at least not any European country I’ve been to. They sell cup cakes that look like black forrest cake and when I asked the clerk kept cutting me off and shouting raspberry. They have something called Dubai bites. I didn’t realize Dubai was in Europe. Even if you have never been to Europe you will hate it here, I wouldn’t feed this cookie to a dog and I just paid 4 dollars for it. They are advertising as a European bakery. Whaaaaaat!?!?! All of the pastries look sloppy. The Éclairs and Danish danishes look like they melted in the sun. It is VERY unappetizing.

Went there today with the goal of ordering a cake. Walked in and was met with rolling eyes from the lady behind the counter after asking one question. I noticed a bakery area to the side with a glass display for their desserts but the display had no baked goods but instead a large can of red bean paste with growing mold. I do not recommend this location as it presented itself to lack customer service and the ability to follow food service guidelines. One star because zero is not possible.

I had never been to the restaurant before. I was excited for dim sum. I placed an online to-go order. I arrived well after the pick up time to find they had not even started prepping the food. The fact I had to wait 35 minutes honestly isn’t even the issue. The issue is: this place is incredibly dirty. The restaurant itself was completely cluttered with what looked like spoiled food in their fridge. One of the employees had their charging phone resting in the stack of to-go boxes. The same boxes they then grabbed to pack my food. I honestly didn’t even want to eat any of the food once seeing the place and seeing a bacteria covered iPhone resting in to-go boxes. Against my better judgment - I tried some of the dumplings. The sesame balls were saturated in oil. The “pan fried” buns were barely fried - just steamed. The rest of the stuff I sampled was honestly pretty gross- but maybe I was just totally turned off by actually seeing the conditions of the restaurant. I won’t be back.

Real authentic Chinese food. Very delicious!! Depending on what you order it might take a little while to get your food. But the wait is totally worth it!

Dessert take out! Very very satisfy! Call ahead to order! We ordered red bean bread, coconut bread, green bean tart, pineapple tart! We love it all!

Walked in to dine in did see sign to seat yourself but seats that had no one were either dirty or said reserved. Waited 10 min for a server or anyone who works here and when I did finally see someone it was a women who looked at me and rolled her eyes. Needless to say will never go back. I get having a rough day but if you give me attitude let me have done something to deserve it.

First time trying and i'm definitely coming back. Great comfort food for me being from SoCal, and this reminded me of food i'd get there. The takoyaki was on point!

The BEST ice cream I’ve had in town (I’m from Arizona)and it doesn’t melt in minutes! This is the second time my boyfriend and I have gone here, not only were we served in a timely manner but the staff were extremely generous. Keep in mind that each ice cream takes about 10 minutes to make, so if there are other people ahead of you, or you come in as a group then it won’t be done in 10 minutes. I highly recommend this place(: I’ve tried 4 different flavors so far, and CANNOT wait to try more! They also have shaved ice!

Overall horrible. The bad: 1. Menus are not laid out in a logical order. 2. Asking the lady how things work and she's just rude. She kept saying "it's self explanatory". 3. Prices are not obvious. 4. One board says pick one candy and one sauce, but Apparently that is extra, it's not clear that it's extra. 5. Once we ordered and paid for six ice creams, it took another 50 mins. 6. The ice cream tastes bland, no flavor, and my girls kept saying "it tastes like water". 7. Music from their TV is loud, and it's hard to hear, talk, or even think. 8. There is apparently faded blue tape on the ground we aren't supposed to cross. On a piece of paper hand written, where the paper is folded over half way. I saw multiple customers come in while we were waiting, all got told to go back behind the blue tape. (this tape on the floor appears to seperate a couch area off) Good: 1. They give lots of ice cream (see the bad #6) 2. Something new? Advice if you still plan to try it: 1. Look up menu online and figure out what you want before 2. Be ready for a long wait 3. Don't be surprised if it tastes bad.

LOVE this place! The ice cream is delicious! It's light and not too sweet. I get reese's peanut butter cups with reese's sauce mixed in and it the best ice cream I've ever had! My experience of the owner was she was really kind. There is a wait sometimes...but go there prepared for the wait and enjoy!

The salted caramel with chocolate sauce was amazing!!! Could’ve eaten it every day of my vacation! However it did take a very long time to get my order and only one person was in front of me. Maybe she was doing online orders? It was worth the wait though

As soon as I walked inside, I liked the restaurant but was surprised it was completely empty. Behind the counter was a mom and daughter (who couldnt have been more than 13 years old). They were very friendly. They have a lot of flavors to choose from so it took us a while to decide what we wanted. In the mean time the kiddos were excited to play with the board games available to them. They also have board games for adults. The daughter took our order (we ordered 4 different ones) and the mom started making our ice cream. I didnt actually start a timer but it took her noticeably long to make the ice cream. They all came out at separate times so we didnt get to enjoy our ice cream together. The kiddos didnt like theirs. One ordered vanilla and the other ordered chocolate. The vanilla tasted more like vanilla than the chocolate like chocolate. Even so, the vanilla tasted perfumed. Honestly, all of our ice cream tasted perfumed. Not like it had been tainted with real perfume but more like an ingredient theyre using.That being said, im not sure if the ice cream, itself, is supposed to have different flavors or if the added toppings is whats supposed to make it taste different, for their different menu items?? The reason I say this is because all the ice cream tasted very similar. It could be that this ice cream is healthy compared to other ice cream parlors but i didnt see it posted anywhere. If this is the case, they should promote this more. But I dont see how this could be the case seeing that there were lots of syrup bottles near the cashier. Maybe they were flavored waters?? There was one other person who came in after us. The daughter didnt take the order until they were completely done with ours. The girl must have waited at least 15mins or longer before her order was taken. Im not sure the purpose of this because theyre inconveniencing the customer by doing this. When the customer comes in theyre already up. Why not take their order at that time and just let them know that theyre are finishing another groups order before they get started on theirs. Why have your customer get up to order once the restaurant (mom) is ready? I did overhear other customer's and the mom's conversation. The mom mentioned she could make any flavor into ice cream. Personally, i think the flavors they have now could improve, by alot, and their focus should be on that and not making new flavors. I really wanted to like this place but, unfortunately at this time, i cannot recomment it because I was not impressed by the speed our order came out nor the flavors of ice cream. Although the designs were nice to look at.

The owner is such a lovely and welcoming lady! She’s also creative and clearly artistic as the whole place is cute and clearly shows off her personality. There’s so many great flavors and it’s fun to try a unique take on the classic ice cream.

Open late! The dining area is so cute! There is handwritten menus on the wall that are absolutely adorable (and easy to read). My kid and I each got an ice cream. Kiddo made their own creation and I got the delish Lemon Blueberry Cheesecake. The staff was friendly and helpful with our questions! This is going to be a go-to spot for us.

I love their frozen yogurt and boba tea! The toppings they have for the yogurt are amazing too. My family and I come here every week, we can’t stay away!

My family loves going to this place. The frozen yogurt is good, toppings good, but they really shine with the boba tea. The tea comes in many different flavors, and is very cold, almost like ice cream. Service is great.

Wanted something sweet after a nice meal out. We came to get frozen yogurt, we didn’t necessarily cared for the flavors. I wouldn’t go again, they charge .60 and ounce, and 5 for boba tea which they had ran out of.

Really well stocked with flavors and toppings. Froyo machines and topping areas were super clean. Staff was super polite and helpful. Prices were great and many great sizing options. Place wasn't the most organized though. Chaos of a game shelf and the bathroom appears to be used as storage. Otherwise great place. Would be a 5 star if not for the chaos of storage system and bathroom. I'll be back.

This place has tons of flavors and they rotate flavors as well so each time we come there is something new to us. They have a nice variety of low fat, sugar free, and dairy free options. They also have lots of toppings to choose from.

The frozen yogurt was lackluster. We tried taro, tart, and strawberry delight- all were rather watery and flavorless. We ended up pitching our bowls. The "cheesecake bites" topping we sprinkled on was chewy and rubbery, too. We haven't tried their many other offerings, but I'm not inclined to come back. The store itself was clean enough.

Waited at the front counter for 15 mins and no one addressed me or told me how long until they would take my order. There were 3 employees working and none of them acknowledged me. I left after 15 mins of no one offering to sell me cookies. I only go to stores where I can purchase items.

Cookie was pretty dry and not as fresh as they used to make them. Seems like mine must have sat in the warming oven for a couple hours. Doesn’t disappoint me but getting a box that wasn’t even assembled all the way was just a disappointment. I really wish I could take back a tip. Considering the options for tipping start at 25% and go to damn near 80% you’d think they could assemble a box and have fresher cookies. Really wish I could take my tip back.

Very clean store! I've always received my cookies fresh, warm and in a timely manner. I love that there is an option to order online, in person or through the kiosk. Will definitely always recommend! I'm excited to taste this week's cookies: the apple crisp, the strawberry one and the sea salt chocolate chip.

We love crumbl and decided to get some on our vacation in anchorage. We walked into The shop, where 5 people were working, and NO ONE greeted us or stopped to take our order. After several minutes we ordered at the kiosk. Our order was put together quickly, but was handed to us with a rude demeanor. The shop was empty when we walked in. Food was as expected, but customer service and friendly atmosphere was far below expectations.

I have to say I absolutely love Taco King, but this was the worst visit I've had they tried to charge me $45 for a tip and wouldn't give me the receipt until I demanded it. Then they gave us the wrong food for 2 out of three of the orders and the third one was not even cooked. Never coming back to this Taco King again

Great burritos with many vegetarian options. They also have horchata, if you want some. Good beans and rice with super quick service. Highly recommended.

I usually order take out. But I feel It's a good "Bang for my Buck." Decent Mexican food. Definitely one of my go to's if I can't decide.

It really comes down to which Taco King, and if you are eating there or eating out. I tend to enjoy some taco king but the last few times i have gotten to go from Norther Lights it is dissheartening. If you take out your portion is definititly smaller, toppings are slim. My most and probably last purchase from NL TK was a Chile Verde delux burrito with rice n beans, with a 15% tip it was 19 something...if only i had taken a picture of what a 19 dollar burrito looks like, small, filled with heardly any meat, just....beans. beans beans. side of beans,...not much of it, side of rice....not much of it, maybe 1/4 cup. topped with an ok green enchilada sauce, sour cream squirt, solid....maybe 3 little shards of lettuce. The chile verde meat that was around, it was just their generic pork with no sauce. Oh also their birria isnt birria so dont expect to be wowed. Now....taco king up in government hill, they know how to make a solid delux burrito. Other tactic, if you want to spend 19 bucks on a burrito get it there and then get a ToGo box. so, its really hit or miss if its gonna be good.

One of my favorite places to get a good meal. Nice portions, quick for takeout with comfortable dining area. Great customer service.

Saturday 2/22/25 was the first time I’ve been inside Benji’s. I’ve had their food before, but I’ve always had it brought to me. It was 2 PM on a Saturday so a lot of stuff was sold out and I completely understand. It was busy, however everyone was being served. When I got up to the counter, there was only 3 people in front of me and they were all together. I got the salmon chowder, The portion was immense. Very large portion with a big crusty bread roll. I also got two croissant waffles, the blood orange, and the brownie. I took all of the stuff home to eat. The chowder was very good, it had chunks of potato, & flaky salmon. The croissant waffle was a couple hours out of the case when I ate it. Delicious. Perfectly crusty and crunchy and different. I have had the croissant muffin cupcakes before, But not the croissant waffle. Perfect afternoon snack. So delicious and the cream on top is a perfect compliment to the richness of everything else.

This place is ALWAYS consistent. You can always expect the freshest pastries (with incredible attention to detail), delicious drink options (best boba in town!), and friendly staff to assist in a timely manner. I visit once a week if I can. Last time I got a beautiful ube sticky bun. The owner can often be found behind the counter, and he is always dreaming up new amazing pastries. A definite must visit.

My favorite place in Anchorage! It has all my favorite things! 10/10 recommend - Boba is great! Lots of different delicious flavors - Bahn mi is amazing! - chowder is also yummy! - they have the yummiest dessert options. My only complaint is they sell out because it is so good.

Benji's is where it's at! 💯 % I love their Horchata Boba & the Guava Croissant! Everything always looks so beautiful like a work of art 🎨 ✨️ 💕 I am so happy I found this place.

The owner Tony is such an incredible man who is creating delicious combinations and has brought variety to anchorage! Everything is made fresh daily!

Okay, the second I walked in I fell in love with the Ambiance, chill music and Great Wall art. We just moved to Anchorage a month ago and this place was highly recommended by others. We were greeted with smiles and positive vibes as soon as we walked in, owner was there, very friendly, gave us all the details on each baked goods. We bought a bunch of treats to try out, owner threw in a couple cookies on the house to try — my favorite was the UBE cookie ! Their Ube croissant is amazing too! All the desserts were dangerously delicious LOL. I honestly loved all the flavors we got. 11/10 ! Highly recommend!

Deb is a wonderful person running the front. Her partner in crime is the cook. I forgot to ask his name. I ordered a surprise for my liege waffle. I also ordered three peice chicken. Southern comfort. All made from scratch ingredients. The flavor was bursting in each bite taken. I ended up with the rasberries. French raspberry creme. Wonderful crispy waffle with a bed of creme and rasberries. Overly savored each bite. I'd come back every day if I could. Well worth the visit in a small nook in the strip mall.

The Sweet Cream Alabama waffles were absolutely delicious light, fluffy, and perfectly sweet without being overpowering. But the real star for me was Mama Deb’s Tenders crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. Everything tasted fresh, and the portions were generous. Definitely a spot worth coming back to!

My family and I went out to get Brunch. We never been to this place before, so we decided to check it out. Their service was exceptional right when we entered. The server literally explained everything and even gave my children details on the orders. She treated us like we were royalty. The food was delicious and there was a variety to choose from the menu! I totally would recommend Waffle Rush 🧇

Anchorage's best slept on breakfast spot. I am not exaggerating when I say this is one of the best restaurant breakfasts I have ever eaten. Casual breakfast spot run by a literal Mom and Pop duo. Mama Deb is on the floor and Pop is in the back. Mama Deb is also the absolute sweetest and very funny. I ordered the Raspberry creme liege waffle breakfast style, so it came with additional plate of eggs, hashbrowns and your choice of breakfast meat. I kid you not, every single food item was unbelievably good. I will be coming back often!

A very nice restaurant, my first time here glad I stopped in. The he restaurant is very nicely maintained and the service was excellent, not to mention the food being absolutely delicious and an a generous amount. Do stop in if you are in the area you won’t be disappointed.

Everything was perfect! With hand made biscuits (find an excuse to have them, they are the best I've ever had) to the hand made honey mustard (I couldn't ask for a better blend of sweet with the pepperiness of the mustard). The chicken? It was done to perfection. Waffles? The hand made Belgium Waffles? They were an absolute delight. I'm definitely going to becoming back.

So incredibly fantastic!! The food was amazing and the owner has the most wonderful sense of humor and makes you feel like y'all are right at home. Coming up from South Mississippi, we have pretty high expectations for food. The biscuits and gravy were so full of flavor and cooked to perfection. The waffle breakfast? Fantastic. Hashbrowns? Chef's kiss! Not to mention they make a mighty fine cup of coffee! We are so incredibly impressed.

Consistently good tasting pizza and fast work. There’s some kind of unique taste to the sauce that I like but can’t quite describe. The prices are definitely struggling a bit against inflation- $22.99 for a specialty tastes good but hurts my wallet. That’s more than it used to be, but I’m sure ingredients are costlier too now.

Went to Ak pizza company, asked the worker if there’s more pizza and he didn’t even acknowledge us. Very rude and disrespectful. At least have some common decency and acknowledge your customers.

As a fellow traveler who enjoys trying Pizza in new places, I wouldn't recommend this place. Cheese tasted sour and it just wasn't good overall.

I became a customer of great alaska pizza ever since my church ordered pizza there for a graduation ceremony. The pizza is a MUST HAVE and the wings were 110% good 👍 I feel bad when I can't tip the driver, but I do tip when I can because the pizza is quick and hot delivery. Thanks guys

Their chicken wings, especially if you get them fried are awesome. Lately everywhere that has wings are very tiny in size, here the wings are HUGE and perfectly fried...

The food is amazing and the staff is friendly and extremely happy. While we were waiting for our food, there were people singing in the back and one of they ladies there reminded me of my wife's mother (in a good way). I will definitely be going back soon! On a side note though, I thought it was strange that they sell Kirkland brand tomato sauce.

My go to place on my day off. The best place for Pandesal, arroz caldo and Taho.

First visit and disappointed. I was looking at the baked goods which they had a variety to choose from. I saw the empanadas which were rather small to what I'm used to. There were no labels so I have to ask what was the fillings (chicken, beef, etc.). I stood by the counter waiting to be serviced which seems like a long time. I heard workers behind the curtains and even a man came out to go to the register. But he came back and went back to the back without acknowledging my presence. Finally Lola (elderly) came to help me. There was a register at the bakery side, but I was told to go to the grocery check-out which had a long line with one cashier working. I bought empanadas, and cheese bread. I tried the empanadas first and I was disappointed. It was hard and the fillings were dry and tasteless. I tried another in case the first one was from an old batch. Same thing--dry and hard. I tried the cheese bread next and the cheese fillings were hard (chunky pieces) and have not melted with the bread dough (looks like it). Disappointed again. I have mix opinion to give them another try, but the prices were rather high. I don't mind the prices if the baked goods tasted good. The customer service is lacking and my visit was around 2:30 pm. On a positive note--the grocery aisles are wider than the typical Asian markets.

So good! It was 2 weeks from the party & I know alot of bakers would like to have their order months in advance or at least a month prior but she took my order! So very thankful & it came out so good! The flavors were so good as well. Simple but cute & classy! Kept in theme & everything, SO THANKFUL & BLESSED I CHOSE NILDA’s!

Nilda’s Party Creation made me the most beautiful, elegant, and delicious wedding cake I could ask for! She graciously took me in with only one weeks notice, and made me a wedding cake that exceeded my expectations! More than that, the tres leches filling went perfectly with the vanilla cake! Nilda’s Bakery was so wonderful! It was my daughter’s 3rd birthday and she asked for the Moana Cake! She even let my daughter try the frosting or the tres leche filling to see which she liked better! The chocolate cake was unbelievably tasty and all of the parent were asking where I got it! Will definitely be going back for again!

This is the second time I went to Nilda for big orders. I gotta say she never fails! My heart is just filled with joy & I can finally relax because our Mama’s 80th birthday cake was phenomenal. Timing was perfect; it was ready on time. Worth the price & I can honestly say the cake itself not only looked good but taste delicious.

This is such a beautiful experience at Aurora chocolate, listening and learning how the Taiwanese lady who inspires by the pole light and hand-made all these beautiful chocolates. Picking the chocolates is fun too, because all the chocolates have unique flavors. I picked a box of varieties, and wow! They are all amazing. Very distinguished flavor! Comparing to the other chocolatier I went before, this is definitely one of the best. You should totally check it out if you visit Anchorage.

We were staying at the Hotel Captain Cook and happened upon this store. Beautiful chocolates and they taste amazing! Love that they have a large assortment of dark chocolate with interesting flavors such as lavender dark chocolate, matcha mango, etc. Wish I would have bought more 😋.

A confectionery pleasure. Handcrafted and elegantly painted chocolates and confections. In the beautiful Captain Cook Hotel in downtown Anchorage. Gorgeous gift boxes; reasonable price point. The wife-husband owner team are talented and kind.

Wow, what a cool little store! All of the chocolates and candies are locally made and are impressive. Some of them were hand painted as well. This would be a great place to get something special for that special someone. The women working there are very friendly and are passionate about their products. The store front itself was a little deceiving because it reminded me of an office. But don't let that sway you. Stop in to check them out!

This shop is a little hard to get to but totally worth it. It's upstairs above a real estate office, but it has a separate staircase. The confections are beautifully displayed and what I had was all really good. The Peri chocolate was fantastic, it wasn't hot but the pepper notes came through at the end.

Aurora Chocolate is one of the best chocolate shops I have ever been to. Chef Ingrid is extremely kind and helpful, and she helped us pick out our chocolates. The chocolates were of unique flavors (like yuzu and orange grand marnier) and were extremely delicious. And of course, how can you forget the beautiful Aurora-inspired colors?

I am so happy with my decision of checking this out! The chocolates were very pretty and very delicious! I'll have to stop by again in order to get my fancy chocolate fix!

Amazing! Pink champagne cake- best cake I ever tried and I’ve eaten so much cake. The owner is lovely and the cake is beautiful and delicious. We’re so lucky to have her up here!

We started our experience with Midnight Sun Cakery back in April 2020. The quarantine cake was the perfect 'just because' pick me up for me and my fiancee. Since then they've been my go to for special occasion desserts. The communication is always prompt, usually via email. The cakes are always a hit, and even the semi custom cakes are beautifully decorated. The only suggestion I have is a bit of updating to the online order form, I was able to order a cake that they no longer offered, thanks to their great communication they let me know and we changed the cake no problem.

I went to see Anita with a very vague idea of what I wanted for a cake and she gave amazing suggestions and really understood what I was going for. The cake tasted absolutely incredible and we had 4 different kinds of cupcakes that were equally as great. She did an amazing job setting the cake/cupcakes up for us and made the process quick and easy. She was also very willing to help us accommodate a dairy allergy so everyone could enjoy the cake! It was an amazing experience working with Anita and I would definitely do it again.
