Taco restaurant
Taqueria La Chiapaneca is a must-visit in Tulum for those craving homestyle Mexican food. Located at the end of the main strip on the same side as the ADO bus station, it offers fantastic pork tacos and other delectable dishes at budget-friendly prices. The warm and friendly atmosphere adds to the experience, making it a favorite among locals and visitors alike.
Great authentic place! This place wasn’t touristy and definitely felt like a local neighborhood restaurant. The tacos were really good from the ones that we got. Also very inexpensive. I would definitely go back here again.
Lexy M — Google review
I first discovered Taquería La Chiapaneca two years ago while staying in Tulum, and I was so excited to return in 2025. This place is absolutely fantastic! They’ve moved to a new location, which now has a beautiful inner yard where you can enjoy your food outdoors in a relaxed setting. The menu is available in both Spanish and English, so ordering is easy even if you don’t speak Spanish. They offer a great variety of beers, plus sodas and water, and the prices are very reasonable and affordable. I truly love this place and will definitely come back whenever I’m in Tulum. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic tacos and a great atmosphere!
Sergey P — Google review
This restaurant is towards the end of the main road that goes through Tulum. This is a must go to spot for people who love Al pastor (pork) in any vessel! The flame spit in the front roasts the pork fresh. We ordered an Al pastor torta, pollo and asada salbutes, al pastor tacos, Al pastor tostadas, guacamole, and some Jamaica juice. The star of the show is the pork! While the chicken and beef were also good, we kept ordering more Al pastor in different forms and even ended up buying the pastor by the kilo to bring some back to our hotel! The green and red salsas have great flavor, with the red one having a great kick from the habanero peppers. There is also a small salad bar for you to top your meal with onions, cilantro, radishes, or cabbage. We are so happy we found this small little spot, and will be enjoying the 1 kg of pork we bought to go (which came with tortillas, salsa, and the fresh veggies).
Lily B — Google review
5 delicious tacos for 70 pesos! Amazingly filling and very tasty for the best price I have found so far! I ate one in the pic. Ordinarily I would never eat pineapples with my chicken, but it was so scrumptious. I was full after eating 3 and continued eating the rest, because I couldn’t help it. Lol
Sherrell W — Google review
Really solid tacos, especially for Tulum. Stop by for a few beers (50 pesos each) and 4 al pastor tacos (20 pesos each) and hang out for a bit in their back courtyard. Staff is very friendly and attentive, but I do recommend looking up a few Spanish phrases to make your visit a little more seamless.
John R — Google review
Unbeatable prices for Tulum. The Tacos al Pastor were really good, but we can’t recommend the beef ones. It was quite busy, and the staff could have been more attentive – we had to wait quite a while and were seated right next to the restroom. Probably better for takeout.
Thu N — Google review
Best tacos in Tulum! Amazing al Pastor and Carne de Res, highly recommended.🌮🌮 At the moment the place has the wrong address since it’s still at their old location. It should be corrected.
Ale M — Google review
If you choose one spot to get tacos in Tulum Puebla, make it here. The al pastor tacos were so flavourful and fresh, we particularly enjoyed the added sauces and being able to choose fresh toppings to add to it. This was our first time trying micheladas and we highly recommend!

Mexican restaurant
Taqueria Honorio started as a modest street stall and has now become a bustling taco restaurant. It is highly recommended by locals for its specialty in Yucatan dishes such as cochinita pibil, lechon al horno, and poc chuc. The family-run establishment offers a no-frills dining experience with seating at small bars and long tables under tents.
When going on our tour, we were welcomed into this place with open arms. Me and my family, were seated down immediately and we got our food very quickly. The workers here also make the place more enjoyable, they were all very nice and pleasant to be around ☺️. Our food was very good and not very expensive. Definitely a must come if you want to eat delicious food!
Sharon W — Google review
Take a long cold shower before you go to this restaurant. Go in shorts, sandals and a muscle shirt. Very hot in this place but the fans do help some... Food is great. Very tasty. Good prices. Might be the best place in town. Even tourist go to this restaurant. Chilaquiles are deli deli!! Had to tell the lady that sits the people down that there were unoccupied tables because it seemed like she didn't see them. No biggie though.
Pedro E — Google review
We really enjoyed our visit to Taquería Honoria. Our hotel recommended that we visit and we are so glad we did. The food was delicious and it was great to try so many different tacos. We’d been reading reviews about how good a crisp Mexican Coca Cola could be, so we chose two of those to complement our meal. One of the highlights was the beef torta, so flavourful and tender. We finished off with the flan which was great. We also really enjoyed being able to watch the staff assemble the tacos.
Holly C — Google review
Taqueria Honorio in Tulum is an absolute must-visit for anyone craving authentic Mexican cuisine! The food is simply outstanding, with every taco packed with vibrant, fresh flavors that showcase the best of local ingredients. From the perfectly seasoned meats to the handmade tortillas, every bite is a delight. The prices are incredibly reasonable, offering exceptional value for such high-quality dishes, making it a great spot for both budget travelers and foodies alike. The service is equally impressive-warm, friendly, and attentive, creating a welcoming atmosphere that enhances the entire dining experience. Whether you're a local or just passing through Tulum, Taqueria Honorio is the place to go for a memorable meal that hits all the right notes. Highly recommend!
Sebastian P — Google review
Must try local place. The food is tasty and inexpensive. We had the chilaquiles with chicken and eggs and a latte and it was scrumptious. We also got super lucky and got seated right away, but plan on waiting around 15-20 minutes. Definitely a must try!
Tatiana F — Google review
Great food and packed with locals as well as some tourists. They had a variety of meats that were available in various forms (taco, salbute, torta, quesadilla) or served as a plate with tortillas. There is also a vegetarian options. I ended up getting a taco and a quesadilla. Both were delicious. Was just the right amount of food for me with no leftovers. Food comes out quickly. Place is cash only, but it's very affordable.
Linda H — Google review
AtlasAdventured recommends eating here for budget friendly travelers and visitors to the area. Definitely one of the more popular and written avout restaurants in Tulum. Seems like every Tulum Food Guide had this place on their list. It was good and had great prices. Very hectic and hot when its full but that's most places in Tulum. Overall a good experience and worth trying. Cochinita Pibil Torta would've been better with some veggies or additions other than meat and bread but the meat was really good. High turnover is usually a good sign for safe meat consumption here. We had been reluctant to try low cost pork since we read some horror stories. But it was good and we enjoyed eating here. Get here early because it gets really busy around lunch time.
Atlas A — Google review
Excellent place to get authentic Mexican fare. Don't let the exterior be a reason you don't walk in to sit down and enjoy some delicious food. Locals are always in so you know it's the real deal.

Seafood restaurant
El Camello Jr. is a popular spot in Tulum known for its delicious and affordable seafood dishes. Despite its unassuming exterior, the restaurant is always bustling with locals eager to savor their fresh and indulgent seafood offerings. The menu features standout items like seafood soup, tangy ceviche, shrimp cocktail, and whole fried mojarra fish that's crispy on the outside and tender inside.
Amazing food experience. Highly recommend the Ceviche, Filet de Pescado en Salsa Camello and the Shrimp in Garlic. So good you don’t want your meal to end. Portions are great and we came back a second time and will likely go again before leaving Tulum! Paid around 250-280 Pesos per meal plus drinks (160 for cocktails).
Mira L — Google review
El Camello Jr. is a must every time we’re in Tulum. The seafood is always fresh and flavorful, and my wife swears by their fried fish — crispy, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection. It’s a laid-back spot with great prices, generous portions, and fast, friendly service. Easy to find and well worth the visit, this place never disappoints. A true local gem!
David C — Google review
It’s a local restaurant with good food. We went twice. The ceviche mixto (shrimp and octopus)was my favorite, the portions are very generous. We got a whole fried fish and tacos too. If you want good food and don’t want to spend too much this is the place! I really recommend it!
Adriana V — Google review
This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Tulum. The seafoods are so fresh and they give you so much food you would not walk out of here hungry. The prices are so cheap we had literally appetizer + food + desserts + drink for two under 850 pesos. Please try the pasta here if u have not. I be coming back soon :))
Sally B — Google review
We liked the food and the atmosphere, everything was great. Make sure to bring cash as they don't accept any other payment method.
Issam K — Google review
Came here solely based on the number of reviews this place got. I only tried the guac and the grilled fish tacos. The food itself was very fresh, I think the guac could have had a little more spice, but they did have hot sauce sitting around. The price was reasonable, it could be a little lower for what it is. But overall good experience. If I go back, it will be to try something new.
Alina A — Google review
We heard El Camello Jr. recommended over and over—especially for the ceviche—and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The fish was super fresh, the portions generous, and the flavor spot on. It’s a place that feels authentic, which is refreshing in a town like Tulum where so much feels overly curated. Great value for money and friendly, efficient service made it one of our favorite stops in Tulum.
Alex — Google review
If you're looking for the freshest ceviche in Tulum, this is the place to be! I have never had ceviche this good and the serving for a small order was good for 3-4 people. The price is very, very affordable as well. We also ordered fish and shrimp tacos which both were equally as good. The sauces on the table is a must with your tacos. Also have to mention how good their bean dip is which was complimentary when they serve you the tortilla chips. Service and ambiance is what you would expect from a local restaurant - warm and accommodating to your needs.

Burrito Amor is a laid-back spot with a large covered terrace, offering an extensive menu of vegan and gluten-free options. The restaurant features homemade tortillas filled with various stuffings, including meat, vegetarian, vegan, egg-free, dairy-free, or paleo-friendly fillings. Emphasizing clean eating and fresh ingredients while delivering flavorful meals, Burrito Amor also has a full bar serving signature cocktails along with aguas frescas, coffee, and fresh juices.
I loved this restaurant in Tulum. Food was great, experts in burritos. They don’t serve tacos. We came back next day for breakfast at 7:30 am but opening is at 8 am. Location is great and really like the setting. Tulum is hot so the trees really help. The burritos are huge and I also liked the drinks. If you are vegetarian you can easily find something from the menu. The staff is amazing. They make you feel good.
Diana P — Google review
✅ Positives: Amazing service and a cute ambiance — works for solo meals, couples, family dinners, or even a date. The burrito was super tasty and the price felt fair. ❌ Negative: Wanted fresh coconut water but they only had bottled. With so many healthy, fresh menu options, this felt like a miss. Overall great spot for a delicious, well-priced burrito in a relaxed setting. Would definitely come back, specially for their breakfast.
Luiz B — Google review
Burrito Amor is a stylish and relaxed spot in Tulum, perfect for a light and fresh meal. The burritos are served wrapped in banana leaves, which looks nice and is practical. The gluten-free coconut tortilla is a creative twist, and the menu has plenty of options – from vegan to rib-eye – with fresh ingredients. Smoothies and juices are interesting, though sometimes a bit watery. Prices are on the higher side for Tulum but still reasonable. The open, airy setting feels welcoming, and the staff are friendly. Overall: a great place if you’re after healthy, modern burritos in a chill setting. Not the most authentic Mexican punch of flavor, but definitely worth a visit.
Manuel Z — Google review
Service, quality of food, aesthetics - everything perfect. Since prices are on European-American level here in Tulum, this place remains one of those with fair prices and excellent products and welcoming service. The rib eye burrito was the best I’ve ever had. Coffe for 50 Pesos, Burritos 140-200 pesos. Also the best banana bread of my life… 5 stars all the way!
Dora M — Google review
I’d heard a lot about this place but never had the chance to try it until now! In most reviews, it’s ranked in the top 2 spots for best burritos in Tulum, and after my visit, I can see why. The vibe is cozy and relaxed, kind of like a beach-style restaurant, nothing too fancy, but it feels warm, homey, and down to earth. The staff are super friendly, welcoming, and take the time to explain the dishes really well. We ordered the ribeye burrito, shrimp aguachile, and guacamole. The guacamole was fresh but pretty average, good, but nothing special. The burrito, though, was excellent, definitely above average! It’s wrapped in banana leaves, which gives it a tender texture and a unique flavor. I really enjoyed it, and it makes sense why this burrito is always ranked among the best in Tulum. But the star for me was the shrimp aguachile. It’s a cold dish that’s spicy, tangy, and refreshing, like a perfect balance of the sea and fresh greens. Absolutely delicious!
Hamid K — Google review
So delicious! Burritos tasted fresh and seasoned so well. The Guac was amazing and I loved my mojito cocktail. Perfect way for us to kickoff our trip to Tulum! Service was quick and accommodating. We were a larger group but were seated immediately.
Anushka M — Google review
The best burrito we’ve ever had! Everything was so fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made. And those homemade lemonades — absolutely delicious! Burrito Amor is a must when you’re in Tulum. We loved it! 🌯💛🍋
Linda H — Google review
The restaurant was highly recommended and it did not disappoint. The menu had loads of options for everyone - gluten free, vegan, vegetarian etc. The food came quickly and the burritos were presented beautifully. The fish burrito was delicious with lots of flavour and filling. The prices were a bit on the expensive side but tulum is not that affordable in general compared to other parts of Mexico due to mass tourism. Would recommend this place :)

El Carboncito is a popular spot in Tulum known for serving the best tacos al pastor, which are made with spit-roasted pork and a Mexican-Middle Eastern spice blend. In addition to the delicious al pastor, they also offer chorizo and beef tacos. The restaurant is usually busy, so it's recommended to arrive early or take your food to go. Customers rave about the locally famous horchata and affordable prices.
Finally we found authentic Mexican tacos in Tulum. There are so many overpriced and average tacos. This place is doing it right. The prices are fair and the tacos are delicious. The ambience is what you would expect for authentic tacos. I am sad we didn’t find this until the last day.
D G — Google review
Great spot - our new favorite! We go to Chiapaneca a lot but the line ups are crazy. We found this place across the street and they give a ton of fresh pastor with their tacos. Limited but great menu!
Michelle M — Google review
Amazing tacos place. It was recommended by a local person and this tiny place is worth it. We had great food for very good price. Fast service 👌 Keep it going 🔥
Renaud L — Google review
Best tacos of our entire trip! We were walking along 307 looking for a dinner spot and my wife and I stopped in our tracks when we saw the al pastor rotating on a spit in front of a charcoal fire. Decision made. We got a variety: pastor, chorizo, puerco and arrachera. The charcoal smoke flavor of the al pastor was magic..wish I would've gotten 10 more haha. The prices were great too, around $140 for 7 tacos.
Jeremy K — Google review
Incredible meat on tasty tortillas with a wide assortment of salsas. All the tacos under $1USD. Right price, functional vibe and very delicious!
Karen H — Google review
A review for a taqueria like El Carboncito for me boils down to the taste and quality of their taco. No, their drinks aren't the greatest and this taqueria is located in a parking lot on the tulum strip, so no points for ambience. It's about the delicious charcoal cooked pastor tacos, their centerpiece. Grab a couple cold beers across the street, sit down on a rickety chair, enjoy your meal and the people watching.
Villa M — Google review
The food was good (not the best tacos in Tulum)the drinks were bad- very watered down Horchata and Jamaica. I really do recomend the Arrachera torta with cheese. What I did not like was the service. These kids are not trained enough and they overcharged me. I am not saying it was done intentionally, however, I do suggest checking your total before you pay to make sure that it is accurate.
Isabel E — Google review
Best street tacos we had in Tulum. We came back three times. The Al pastor is cooked with charcoal, and excellent. Arrachera tacos were excellent also. The jamaica drinks were great and they give you at least 32 oz worth.

Tacos y Tortas El Tío is a popular street vendor located at the intersection of Avenida Tulum and Calle Geminis Sur in Tulum Center. This budget-friendly spot offers delicious tacos, tortas, and gringas. The al pastor tacos are particularly recommended, with the meat always being freshly heated on the spot. Despite limited seating (only 5 chairs around the countertop), it's a favorite among locals and visitors alike.
Found this place randomly when walking through Tulum. Highly recommended! There was a lot of people so we had to try it. Service was fast and the tacos and the tortas we tried were amazing. Best tacos we tried in Mexico for sure. Don’t miss it!
Riccardo B — Google review
Fantastic tacos and very good staff I accidentally gave too much cash to the guy taking my order and he was honest enough to give it all back The food was clean and flavourful. I suggest adding a bit of lime and maybe one of their three sauces they have available (this parts DIY) It’s such a vibe to sit on the street corner and eat it all up too English isn’t that strong here so be prepared to play a bit of charades. The staff were patient and happy to work with us though
Nicholas C — Google review
Absolutely love this place! Their food is the best seasoned one I have tried in Mexico. Since I don't really eat meat, except chicken, I loved their chickens gringas - the chicken was cut to very small pieces which I liked a lot. The staff is very nice as well. And they also have limonada de pepino (cucumber lemonade), so make sure to grab one.
Cyntia P — Google review
Honestly not the best al pastor tacos I’ve ever had - tacos were mid - but I guess a good price.
Michelle V — Google review
in terms of street food, this is my favourite. it’s always packed and the waiting time is sometimes very long (we once waited up to 30min - worth it though). if they’re busy taking orders you kinda need to make your way through the front and place your order (there’s not a line for ordering). great deal (5 pastor tacos for MXN50).
Tauana T — Google review
Absolutely brilliant. Authentic street food. Food was a 10/10. Many locals also eat here. Prices totally fair. It was a great experience. You won't find exemplary kitchen hygiene here, but that should simply be disregarded. ;) Service fast and friendly! Highly recommended!

El Asadero is a popular Mexican steakhouse in Tulum, known for its top-quality steaks and vibrant atmosphere. The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating, serving up delicious flank steak and sausage, along with tempting vegetarian options. With a menu loaded with beef and solid seafood choices, it's the perfect spot to satisfy your protein cravings. Located outside the main hotel strip, El Asadero provides more affordable prices than the touristy city center.
El Asadero was a great spot with a relaxed vibe and really tasty food. The salmon carpaccio was fresh and light, and the grilled octopus was tender and full of flavor. David, our waiter, was friendly and made sure we were well taken care of. You can feel the warmth in the place—Marco and Patty, the owners, clearly put a lot of love into what they do. Definitely worth visiting if you're in the area and want to enjoy a lovely evening while having incredible dishes!

Had the Cowboy steak . Expensive but worth it a 100% . The service the staff and the manager were perfect. Wine was excellent, food was to die for and the drinks were also fantastic. I will return and YOU must go !!!!

Tropi Tacos is a hidden gem in Tulum, offering authentic Mexican tacos made with fresh ingredients and homemade tortillas. It's a great spot for a quick and affordable lunch, serving meals with a generous tower of salsa. Despite some initial doubts, this restaurant has won over many visitors with its delicious al pastor tacos and freshly squeezed juices. While the vegetarian selection is limited, the fantastic service and budget-friendly options make it one of the best dining spots in Tulum.
A nicer place than Honorio, and obviously we’re partial but it was great to get pastor tacos here. Excellent food, some of our favorite in Tulum, and at just 18 MXN per pastor taco you really cannot go wrong. Get the michelada also!

Great price for even more amazing authentic tacos!! Highly recommend, these were the best tacos I’ve had in Tulum. We had 5 sirloin and 5 pastor (which were my favourite), both so flavourful and came with great salsas!

Classic open air restaurant with plastic chairs. Quality food, authentic ingredients, excellent guac and chips, ice cold beers, tasty hot sauce and the tacos Arrachera were juicy, delicious and had me wanting more. I will be back.

This restaurant is very clean. We ate there two times because how flavorful and clean it is. Prices are affordable and service is quick. Many other restaurant options around but this one was a great choice. Tacos pastor and Sirloin, queso & chorizo, horchata, etc, everything was very good.

Foods amazing. The tacos are some of the best I’ve had. The mango juice also was perfectly sweet. I’d avoid the quesadilla tho. Nothing wow.

This is a fantastic place to visit for a quick and flavorful meal. The food is authentic, well prepared, and fresh. They have a good selection of dishes that are moderately priced. The service was good, and the order came out quickly. We tried the Tacos and Tortas. The taco was served on 2 soft tortillas, and it was loaded with delightful minced pork. The Torta was super stuffed with carne Al pastor. Both dishes were nicely seasoned and didn't have any hot pepper added. If you wanted some heat, you could add hot sauces from a condiment tray. Overall, the food was tastey, warm, and well well received. If traveling in Tulum, you should check this spot out.

Probably the best tacos we had during our stay in Mexico. A lot of different salsas, perfectly seasoned and juicy meat and fresh ingredients. Why can't restaurants in Playa del Carmen be as good as Tropi Tacos in Tulum. Service was friendly and helpful as well, always a smile on their face. Food come out quick from the kitchen and tastes amazing. The location itself is nice too, a bit off the main street, but still very good to reach. We stopped by because of the very good reviews, and at the end we weren't disappointed. All in all a perfectly fine lunch! Just be aware that they add a fee if you want to pay with credit cards. I can't remember how much the fee was, but it definitely stuck into my mind that it was way higher than the usual.

La Taqueria in Tulum Pueblo is a charming outdoor restaurant located in the La Veleta neighborhood. The vibrant eatery offers a lively atmosphere with live music and colorful murals depicting lush jungles and wildlife. The menu features classic Mexican cuisine, with the octopus tacos and tempura fish tacos being popular choices. Additionally, there are upscale food trucks across from La Zebra hotel offering a variety of culinary delights.
This place is SO GOOD! The food is delicious, and the service was amazing! Andrey took such good care of us, we were a group of 5! We ordered two orders of the Taquiza. We had the seafood one and the meat one, I 100% recommend that! The chocolate brownie with ice cream on top was good too!

We came to the one in the hotel zone in the offseason so nobody was really there but it was still a vibe. We got the Best Steak Tacos I've had so far. The tenderness, the flavor, just done so right and came out delicious. We also had Piña Coladas! Gorgeous looking drink with the right amount of liquor 😮‍💨🔥🔥 The chicken tacos were cool, but the steak tacos brought this review to a 5 star rating tbh. There's another La Taqueria on Calle 7 and I've been waiting to go to it but they're remodeling until 10/13😞😞 but best believe I will be there when they open! 😂

The best taco we’ve ever eaten. Get the pastor you won’t be disappointed!! Eli, our server was so knowledgeable and attentive. Could not recommend this place more. Great food, vibes, and we will be back :)

The food was amazing! I got the Pastor nachos, the meat had a nice smoky flavor and the jalapeño added a little sweetness cause I was expecting it to be spicy but it wasn’t! I did originally order a mango margarita but I think there was a switch up at the bar and I got the wrong drink, but it’s ok cause the one I got was hitting girl!! Andre was my server and he was very sweet and attentive loved the atmosphere and there was a sweet kitty to accompany me 🥰

We loved eating here during our stay in Tulum. The tacos are delicious and the service is great. We especially liked the fish taco options. Everything was very fresh and tasty. They also have their own private parking in the back which was really convenient.

Andrey was our server. As soon as we entered the restaurant, Andrey welcomed us with the most biggest and welcoming smile. He is a very professional, compassionate, and genuine man. SO YUMMY! The food tastes just like Mexico — full of love and flavor. I’m honestly upset we didn’t come here on day one, because I would have eaten here every day of our trip. We had the pastor, chorizo, and steak tacos, along with the chicken enchiladas. These tacos are literally the definition of delicious — truly life-changing! We will absolutely be back. The prices are very fair, and the service was excellent — warm, friendly, and never pushy.

i really enjoyed the shrimp tacos and friendly service on my first visit. tried the chicken fajitas tonight. they were awesome with generous portions. needed a take-home container. very mellow comfy vibe with excellent wait staff you wont be disappointed with their chef-prepared dishes, menu selection or service. 5-star quality with 3-star prices--one of Tulum's finest.

Nice little spot just off the main street. They have lots of options for food and many tables suitable for large groups. Service was extremely fast and they brought some chips and salsa as we sat down! Its an affordable meal. I tried Horchata juice for the first time. They ONLY take CASH!

Service we received was unacceptable on Friday, May 30, 2025. An English speaking waiter kept addressing me as “my boy”, constantly flirted with my partner, and kept interrupting our dining experience by asking her personal questions including where she’s from and when she will be back. When I asked for the WiFi password, he told me to blow on the tabletop napkin holder for it to appear. Please train this individual to maintain professional service. Food was ok but that gentleman ruined our dining experience so we will not be returning.

El Takazo Jr – A Place Made with Heart This place completely blew us away. El Takazo Jr isn’t just a restaurant, it’s the kind of spot that makes you feel like you’ve found something special. We ordered the fried fish, gringas, quesadilla, and camarones chipilín, and every bite was incredible. The food was fresh, full of flavor, and clearly made with love. The drinks were also delicious, refreshing and a perfect match to the meal. What really made the experience unforgettable was the service. Marin took amazing care of us so attentive, kind, and thoughtful. Angel also came by to check in on us, which meant a lot. They even made small changes to the dishes just to accommodate us, which says so much about how much they care about their guests. It’s rare to find service like this, genuine and full of heart. The vibe of the place is super chill, clean, and welcoming. The kind of spot you just want to hang out at. Huge thank you to the entire team, especially the cooks in the kitchen. We truly felt the love in everything you served. If you’re in Tulum and looking for somewhere authentic, delicious, and filled with good energy, this is it. Thank you for such a beautiful experience!

Nestled in the heart of Tulum downtown, TAQUERIA MAYA is a charming taco joint that has captured the hearts of locals with its authentic flavors and budget-friendly prices. While it may not be the most renowned taco spot in town, it certainly delivers on taste. Each dish bursts with flavor, from the simple grilled chicken to standout options like grilled Arachera steak and Mole chicken—all at an unbeatable price!
The most AUTHENTIC, DELICIOUS experience you can get and for so CHEAP!! Every dish we got was flavorful, seasoned even if you got the simple grilled chicken. My favorite was the grilled Arachera steak and the Mole with chicken (only $100 pesos!). Really tasty steak burrito too. We had our food with the freshest tortillas, made by an older Mayan woman hand making each one in house, which I LOVE!! We also tried some appetizers (like fresh quesadillas, which they call Keka) which were all good! We got 5 plates plus appetizers for about $32 US dollars and with food left over for the street dogs. They’ll probably ask you to pay with cash if you’re foreign / don’t speak Spanish though
Steph C — Google review
Everything we got here was phenomenal! The hibiscus agua fresca, the watermelon agua Fresca and the Horchata were amazing and we all chugged them after our cenotes tour. I’m pretty sure that we got every single type of taco they offer and not one disappointed! I would be careful with the chilly oil though because it will sneak up on you and take you out if you’re not careful hahaha!
Corinne L — Google review
Somewhere between a 3 and 4 star place. The food isn’t bad, just a little plain, I would say the service is the best part as the inside is quite dark and a little unwelcoming. That said, the food came fast and it wasn’t bad.

Suggested by our host in Tulum. We weren’t disappointed. An unassuming and authentic experience that I would unconditionally recommend. We had the fish tacos and a couple varieties of pork. Very reasonably priced. It’s low season when we visited so the restaurant was quiet but service was still great.

Best Tacos Pepe is a popular taqueria in Tulum known for its delicious and affordable tacos. The stall opens at 6 p.m., and there's usually a wait, but the service is quick and friendly. The tacos are generously filled and cost only 20-30 pesos each, making them great value for money. In addition to tacos, they also offer tasty tortas for just 60 pesos.
Quintessential Mexican taco stand with such lovely owners, excellent flavors and great value. The shrimp torta came with maybe 15 shrimp, sizzled in cheese. It was a total seafood banger. Big love for the portabella mole tacos too. We will be back!

Best Tacos Pepe is hands down one of the tastiest street taco spots you’ll ever find! 🌮🔥 The flavor is incredible — perfectly seasoned meat, fresh tortillas, and all the toppings you could want. You can really taste the love and tradition in every bite. It’s a simple street cart, but the quality is better than many restaurants. The tacos are fresh, affordable, and served with a big smile. Whether you’re craving a quick late-night snack or a full taco feast, this is the place to go. Authentic, delicious, and true to its name — truly the best tacos! 🌮💯

Amazing place and really nice people. The best tacos and tostadas in the area!! We were a bit sceptical of street food but this one really blew us out of the water. Incredibly good and cheap. They even take cards! 11/10 would eat there every day!

Delicious taco and tortas. We ate here twice in our stay it was soo good. Only downside is the mosquitos so come prepared with repellent on - but its worth it.
Eilish W — Google review
Pepe’s truck is literally the best thing in the world 🔥🔥🔥 If you wanna have authentic Mexican street food, you have to try it. Pd: it’s a street food truck so obviously it’s not a fancy plan, but definitely worth experiencing it! It’s the perfect balance between quality and price. I always order shrimp quesadilla or gringa can’t remember.
Paola P — Google review
🌮 Best Tacos Pepe – Tulum 🌮 Authentic, local, and absolutely worth the stop! We stumbled on this gem nestled in the jungle-like outskirts of Tulum and were blown away. The tacos are grilled right in front of you on a sizzling plancha, and the smell alone is enough to make your mouth water. We tried several meats—from juicy shrimp to perfectly seasoned pork—and every single taco was bursting with flavor. The setup is simple: a few plastic tables, string lights, jungle vibes, and a line of people who clearly know what’s up. It’s the kind of place where locals and travelers sit elbow to elbow and just enjoy good food. It’s not just the tacos—it’s the experience. You’re not eating at a touristy restaurant, you’re part of a night-time taco ritual under the stars. One of our best meals in Tulum, hands down. 📍Tip: Come hungry, bring cash, and don’t skip the grilled onions or the homemade sauces. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I love this spot! We stopped here for a snack and refreshment break after a long walk in the hot sun. We had Guacamole, papa's fritas, mango smoothies! + (something with tequila in it) were all amazing. The staff was incredibly accommodating even when it was busy. A MUST VISIT!! What an experience- the service is great with staff being very knowledgeable and friendly. The food is amazing and notable mentions to the grilled corn, the hortacha and the Anatole- incredible! We visited three times in 2 weeks and each time had to order two portions of the corn 🌽! The atmosphere is also great with an open kitchen and they do an excellent job at keeping bugs away with copal burning! Not to be missed!

You can't visit this city without visiting Negro Huitlacoxe. You will have the best Mexican food with amazing atmosphere for the indoor and the outdoor. They have also grilled fish but I preferred to go with the easiest one as you see in the photos. The prices are so reasonable and the food is so delicious. The restraunt is hidden behind the main street and it is worth to find it. I started eating before I getting my photos.
Karam S — Google review
Negro Huitlacoxe was recommended by some of my Mexican friends, and I was very curious to try it. Like many places in the Tulum area, the restaurant doesn’t look like much from the outside (especially compared to the hotel zone), but once you step inside, everything changes. You can immediately feel the culture, the homey atmosphere, and the authentic vibe. In one corner of the restaurant, there’s a big pot on the fire where the meat cooks for 10–14 hours (according to the waiter), which adds to the experience. The service was fantastic! I was actually surprised to see some reviews mention bad service at least for me, it was excellent. The food was also incredible. I highly recommend starting with the corn appetizer it was insanely good, and I’ll never forget the taste. Prices are a little higher than other restaurants in downtown Tulum, but still way cheaper than the hotel zone and the food is much better. I strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Tulum!

Good food but a little pricey. I went with my boyfriend for celebrating our birthday we ordered a whole fish, tacos and some drinks. They send us a dessert as a courtesy the best churros with chocolate. We paid US$251.

My partner and I went for dinner at Negro huitlacoxe on a Wednesday and loved it so much we went back again for dinner the next night! The first night we went we had a waiter named Jose, he was absolutely excellent! Very attentive to the table and very good at speaking English as we speak basic Spanish. The next night we had a waiter named Julian who was equally as proficient, all around we had fantastic service from everyone! The atmosphere is next level, the outdoor setting is tropical plants, vibrant lights, fantastic music, open kitchen and rustic decor. Lastly the food! To start we tried their signature dish which was corn ribs which were out of this world! We also had birra tacos and birra quesadilla’s with consomé as well as grilled beef and chorizo vampiro, which was like a tostada for lack of my Mexican cuisine knowledge. Which were all amazing! The cocktails we had were delicious and exceeded expectations with the restaurant giving their own unique expression and creativity to old and new. 10/10! Would go back a third time if we were here for longer! Thank you for such a fantastic experience!

This was the best food we ate in Mexico hands down: fine dining, street tacos, this place beat them all. Good service, fast. Taking coronavirus measurements. Chill Vibe. Food is good, fresh ceviche and aguachile. Plenty of Beer options, micheladas on point. Different sauces (note: white one very spicy) and tostadas are complementary. Short menu, online due to COVID. The waitress doesn't offer any menu explanations, maybe you have to ask the questions. Is very breezy so it's nice even when is outside.

Recommended by our taxi driver as a favourite for him and other locals, and wow I can see why. The charcoal‑grilled pollo asado was amazing - juicy, smoky and exceptionally flavourful, even the breast! Portions were generous and everything was fresh and super satisfying. It’s a simple, no-frills roadside spot, where the food speaks for itself. Authentic, affordable, and downright delicious, loved by locals and visitors alike, one of our top meals in Tulum. Shame we only became aware of it for our last dinner!
MelodeeS — Google review
As other reviewers have mentioned, the chicken here is great—if you get a fresh batch. Unfortunately, I ordered delivery through Tomato, so I couldn’t be there to ensure it was freshly made. What arrived was cold, dry, and stale. I did dress it nicely and make it virtually presentable 😂.
David Z — Google review
Maybe I went to early (it was around 1130a) but the chicken was not as juicy as i expected. Could be from the night before. It was OK.

I actually didn't eat here this time I was in Tulum because they were closed already. But I will review them anyways because it was so good last time!! I'm only going to dock them points for closing at 8pm which is too early!! I was sooo bummed we didn't get to eat here. Maybe next time

Oh my GOD their papa con queso!! A little foil pouch of mashed potatoes and heaven. Great for some comfort food on a rainy day. I got the 1/4 chicken and that when I was really hungry and it was the perfect amount. The chicken itself was delicious too. Definitely going back! Staff was friendly. Bathroom acceptable. All in all cozy little diner tucked into the main strip.

Great place to get some of the best "broiled take out chicken'" in Tulum. This spot is perfect if you want for a small lexoensive lunch or something to snack on at the beach or back at your Airbnb. You can order the chicken in a variety of sizes (quarter, half or full) accompanied with rice lettuce fresh tortillas and a spicy tomato sauce. You can't be a half a chicken rice and some sides for five bucks. Definitely worth a visit on your trip just to taste something other than tacos.

Local pollo or chicken restaurant which is serving grilled chicken in a traditional way on a fire pit. The very tasty chicken is affordable and served with tacos, cabbage, rice and chilli peppers. Go here for a quick bite or if you like to taste the real BBQ chicken in a classic Mexican way.

The menu features classic Mexican breakfasts like Chilaquiles and Huevos Rancheros, as well as westernized dishes with plenty of avocado. The beautifully decorated space includes both indoor and outdoor seating.
Such a beautiful breakfast spot! I genuinely loved every single dish. It might be a bit on the pricey side, but totally worth it. If you’re looking for a great place to enjoy breakfast, this is a must-visit

It was sooo delicious! The food was made with fresh ingredients and well seasoned. The coffee was also great. The server was knowledgeable about their menu and had great suggestions. This will be a restaurant i will visit again next time we vacation

We loved our brunch at Del Cielo!!! The environment is outdoor airy and all the staff carry an enthusiastic smile. They were very eager to take care of all our requests. I’m a bit of a coffee snob and I got a caramel cappuccino that was perfect. I also got the eggs Benedict that were on top of a crispy hash brown instead of any kind of bread at that was a brilliant combo. The açaí was mixed with coconut yogurt had great taste to it. The environment was so inviting we stayed a bit and talked after we were done eating. Very relaxing and enjoyable. Highly recommend!

One of my favorite breakfast spots in Tulum Centro! Went here 3 times in a week. Lovely atmosphere, food is so fresh and plentiful, staff is so friendly. My husband and I tried so many things and loved them all! Highlights include: -Super Bowl -Tropical smoothie - Chilaquiles -Huevos Rancheros -Breakfast combo (the tomatoes are so good I spooned them into my mouth lol)

I really love this cafe. When in Tulum, we come there quite often for breakfast. Unusual, large, delicious portions of food. I especially like combos. Friendly staff. Everything is wonderful.

Phenomenal breakfast and coffee!!! Excellent service with great juices. Very nice atmosphere! Order the French toast or the Mexican bowl! Both were exceptional!
Jessica A — Google review
Grossest food I’ve eaten 🤢 . The coffee was bad (sour milk), the yogurt tasted like something foul was in it, and the chilaquiles were horrible, the taste was like watery tomatoes, in addition this was fresh out of the kitchen all of the chips were soggy 🌧️ ! How does that happen? The staff is nice, and the atmosphere is good, but my oh my the food was so bad. I think a lot of ingredients were expired. I’ve eaten all over the world and had some bad food, but this was so bad me and my wife didn’t even eat more than a few nibbles and left.

21/07/2025 Such a popular cafe!✨ I arrived before noon, but by lunchtime it was nearly full with lots of people coming in🕛🌞 I ordered the breakfast menu MX$160and added salmon MX$70 ☀️ You can choose between fried eggs or scrambled eggs 🍳I went with scrambled, and it was the right choice 🙂😋💜 It came with sauce, but the avocado, salmon, and eggs were already full of flavor, so I enjoyed it as it was⭐️ The bread was soft and easy to eat I really liked the texture, kind of like French bread🥖✨ The atmosphere was very relaxing, perfect for taking it easy 🍽️ Definitely check out their Instagram! 📱💖 ✨ @delcielo_bistrotropical✨ Gracias 🙂

Las Hijas de la Tostada in Tulum is a Mexican chain that offers a delightful dining experience. With branches in Mexico City and Playa del Carmen, this restaurant has gained popularity for its exceptional seafood dishes. The tuna carnitas tostada is highly recommended, though all the menu items I've tried were enjoyable. It's a great place to visit if you're in town, especially if you're celebrating a special occasion like a birthday.
We had the worst server, but the manager came over and made up for the service. It was my wife’s birthday week, he offered us a free dessert and shots. I couldn’t have gotten better service after a week in Tulum. Today was our last day here and I am happy for the experience.

Good food. Very nice service and good prices. If you are in Tulum this is another restaurant you should try and taste the food. I was there February 22,2025 and I enjoyed the food. I ordered what you see in picture. Delicious!!
Sofia M — Google review
Honestly this place was disappointing. I was expecting a better service meaning do not wait 30 min for food, and let me highlight this was low season ( 1st week of June). If you are looking for good quality seafood + good and prompt service THIS IS NOT THE PLACE. look at the picture, this is how empty the place was and still waiting that long for just 2 Tostadas. Make your money worth and find better options around the area…

Fantastic spot for fresh seafood and great vibes in Tulum. The tostadas are delicious — especially the shrimp and tuna options — packed with flavor and beautifully presented. The cocktails are refreshing, and the atmosphere is lively yet relaxed, perfect for lunch or dinner. Service is friendly and quick, and the open-air setup adds to the beach-town feel. A must-try if you’re looking for quality seafood and a fun dining experience in Tulum.

Went to go grab some tequila before we left Tulum. This shop was on the corner. Got a lil bit of breakie and lunch. Had the chiliquiles and added steak (after checking with the kitchen). Perfect crunch to salsa ratio. Everyone's tostada and tacos were great with sol and shot. Id definitely go back. Service was great!
Darryl L — Google review
Good Mexican food and good service! Although it seems to be a franchise or “chain”-Restaurant the food was very good - comparable to the food you get on the streets but always in addition with a bit of a “special” (i.e. cheese crust on the tortillas). Also made a very clean impression. The restaurant opened only a week ago.
M. M — Google review
We had very nice service and were welcomed very friendly! The food was extremely tasty, especially the mixed cerviche. Pricing is fair and the atmosphere is nice, too. It was very warm though, but that was due to the open windows and doors. Would highly recommend this place ;)

I went to this place on a trip to Tulum. I sat at the bar and loved the bartender who was very knowledgeable about tequila, mascal, and Tulum. The food was great especially the salmon tostada. I also ordered the steak tacos, which were a little dry, and the Shrimp tacos which were good but needed some type of acid to cut the friend batter. Only issue we had was they had a sign for 2 for 1 cocktails. When the bill arrived, we were then told that the specual was only from 4 to 6 PM even though the sign did not state as such. Makes no sense also to have a special during dinner time and not 4 to 5 PM when we went.

Mamazul Tulum Mezcaleria, situated in Aldea Zama, offers an upscale dining experience with a blend of Italian and Mexican cuisines. The restaurant boasts fancy decor and serves dishes like ceviche, beef ragu, and various seafood options. It is known for its artisanal mezcal bar with a chic ambiance and delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner offerings. Visitors praise the standout mushroom taco and pumpkin taco as well as the steak served on a salt slab.
Mamazul is such a vibe! The passion fruit mezcalita with chipotle spice is insanely good… we loved it so much we came back just for more. Bonus: they have a 2-for-1 happy hour from 5–7pm. The tacos are excellent (including thoughtful and flavorful vegan and vegetarian options 🤤), the atmosphere is gorgeous, and the staff are some of the friendliest in Tulum. The bar itself is stunning, with an incredible mezcal selection to explore. Meeting Evana, the local street cat, made it even more special. Highly recommend for the full mezcal experience in Tulum! 🍹🌮✨

Had a great experience with Ricardo for the mezcal cheese tasting. He was very knowledgeable (also a wine sommelier), and gave us tips for tasting and identifying different notes through sight, smell, and taste. We were surprised that the cheeses paired really well and allowed the mezcals to shine. We also stayed for dinner and were impressed with our tacos/meal.

Update: I ordered the flank steak with potatoes & tomatoes and it was a great choice. The waiters were kind and the cooks did a fantastic job! The calm atmosphere was the cherry on top, kudos to Mamazul!

Great spot for a laid back dinner... Mosquitos abound so dont forget your insect repellent. The food was really good. My husband loved the hot sauce. Chimichurri was delightful! Steaks were cooked perfectly! The churro dessert was perfect. Didn't like tbe ice cream too much.

Mamazul Tulum delivered an unforgettable evening with standout tacos like the Birria, Pulpo, Al Pastor, and Pescado Bajo - each one packed with flavor. The Taco Tuesday Happy Hour deal was a major win, and their mezcal selection is the largest in the Riviera Maya - a must for any fan of craft spirits. The ambiance is spot on, with live music most nights of the week adding energy to an already vibrant space. Tacos start at around 80 MXN, with most mains in the 100–200 MXN range, making it a great value for the quality and atmosphere. One of the best ways to kick off your Tulum trip.

Mamozul is one of the best restaurants we’ve visited in Tulum. First of all, the interior design is stunning—words can’t do justice to the details. When it comes to fine touches in decor, these guys are professionals. The place is absolutely top-notch, a solid 10 out of 10. The service was also fantastic—super friendly and attentive staff. They were very polite and made sure we were well taken care of. There were some delays with the food, but they kept us informed the entire time, letting us know it would be out soon. So, no complaints there. As for the food and drinks, everything was exceptional. The dishes were top-tier, the alcohol was of the highest quality, and the presentation, design, and style of everything were spot on. We loved every bit of it.

Suculenta Tamaleria is a family-run vegan restaurant located in downtown Tulum, operating since 2015. They specialize in offering a variety of flavors of vegan tamales, tacos, soups, and pastries along with fresh juices and coffee. The restaurant has its own garden and orchard open to the public. Despite being fully vegan, their dishes are creatively crafted and bursting with flavor.
Everything is deliciously tasty, I think we got one of everything, plus juice—which we highly suggest! The food is super flavorful authentic Mexican spices yet clean vegan, which makes you feel really good and healthy afterwards. Everything is cooked and made super fresh, there is no processed oils or fake food here. Home cooked with quality ingredients where you can taste the love in every bite! The garden in the back is lovely for cacao during the day as well! Love this place so much and will come back often.
Sarah F — Google review
We are not vegan and we do not strive vegan food, but we liked good tasting food and Suculenta delivered on good. The juice drinks were above average, the salad had a really combo of nuts and dried fruits. I thought I would like tamales but it’s a little too « corny » for my taste (but still well done by the chef). The real standout are the mushroom tacos with homemade tortillas, you could just for that dish and be happy. Service was friendly and discreet, sit at the outdoor patio in the back. P.S.: please leave a ❤️ if this review was useful to you, thank you 🙏

Beautiful spot with an older man cooking in the back on a makeshift home kitchen. Small menu with creative Mexican flavors. Wait time can be long for some of the items as it’s made fresh to order. They have a nice backyard in the back with a few cats roaming around and music playing.

Excellent food! Love the pozole (traditional Mexican soup) refreshing drinks, silky rich mole. Great service and prices too.
Elizabeth M — Google review
No frills authentic pozole soup. Most people come to Tulum for the fancy restaurants, but this is the good stuff. Outdoor seating no aircon so be prepared to sweat a bit, but it’s worth it. Location is easy to miss if there’s cars parked out front. I eat here at least once a week. I always get the green pozole as it’s special, but it seems the fan favorite is the red. Medium is more than enough to fill you up but if you want something special order a sopa. If there’s 4 of you order a mole chilaquiles to share. You’ll see lots of locals so you know it’s the good stuff. Also as friendly on the wallet as can be. Service is always fast and super friendly. LUNCH ONLY!! Make sure you don’t miss this experience!!

The menu features crispy oyster mushroom burgers, plant-based tacos, and artisanal gelato. Located near the ADO bus stop and Amorcito Corazon hostel, it offers a relaxed atmosphere with swinging hammocks. Customers praise the colorful and vibrant tacos as well as the friendly service.
Excellent vegan restaurant, they cook traditional Mexican recipes like tacos de pastor, pibil, enfrijoladas, chilaquiles... Very cozy, friendly staff always polite. On Tuesdays they have a comedy night with stand up comedians and amateurs (you can participate too)
Anais L — Google review
Server was nice and food was good. Felt like a vegan pub food place. The cauliflower wings were well cooked but sauces were just for dipping on the side. The different tacos came with just the main part and you can add on salsas which seemed basic to all the other places which would pair the main and a different fruit/veggie or special dressing. The nacho cheese also wasn’t melting at all but the flavoring was nice. So not a favorite place in Tulum but not bad for the price your paying

Excellent! Best vegan tacos I've tried so far. No jokes, they are at the top. Was here 3 times in 4 days and tried all of them. My favorite - Arrachera. Pastor with bits of pineapple is outstanding. The rest are great but with different flavors. Must go when in Tulum!

Fantastic vegan restaurant with friendly staff cooking up authentic Mexican dishes. Highly suggest the guacamole and tacos (especially the breaded avocado, eggplant, and oyster mushroom tacos)! Delicious and cheap ($5 for awesome vegan chilaquiles). Update: tempted to remove a star. second time I went they charged for glasses of water which they said they forgot to charge for the first time. Only $1 per glass but still felt disingenuous that they didn't say there would be charges. Chilaquiles definitely felt like the best value of the foods I tried. Still good food though. Only two people working there so service/food is pretty slow

Tacos Kukulcan is a must-visit for those craving authentic Mexican cuisine in London. Unlike many tourist-oriented restaurants, this spot offers a genuine local dining experience. The restaurant's ambiance may not be luxurious, but it adds to the authenticity of the visit. The food is prepared fresh on the grill and features a wide variety of meats, making it perfect for meat lovers. Visitors rave about the flavorful birria, tortilla soup, nachos, and tacos.
If you want to experience real Mexican food, then go here. We found this restaurant by luck, and it didn't disappoint. Most of the restaurants that I ate at in Mexico were mainly fancy and catered to tourists, but this one is the typical restaurant to eat at if you want to get the experience as a local. Please note that if you come here, don't expect the luxury or cleanliness of high-end tourist restaurants. However, I believe this is part of experiencing a local Mexican restaurant.

Updated Review after coming back three years after initial review: 3/27/23 ITS STILL ABSOLUTELY THE BEST PLACE TO EAT AND DRINK! We came back to the area for another family vacation, this time we brought more family. After taking them to a few other “hot spots” in the area everyone was blown away with the flavor (get birria!!) of the meat and the dishes. The tortilla soup is amazing, the nachos and the tacos are absolutely delicious, and they do not skimp on their drinks. La beuna Vida and other places serve you very light in the alcohol in hopes you’ll buy more shots and increase your bill, this place serves normal drinks in a good way! And our wait staff worked so hard to help our large group the entire time we were there. Hands down love this place! Initial review in February 2020: Dear lord we love this place. The vibe is great, the service is outstanding and the food absolutely nails it every time. The waiter (sawyer) spoke perfect English. The burgers are amazing, too! The portion of the meat they give in the tacos is generous. At 20$ (mxn) per taco we never leave hungry. Dont bother with other places, at least not yet. Come here first!

Accessible via a narrow road across from Restaurant Oscar and Lalo, this secluded beach club offers a unique off-the-beaten-path experience. The journey to Chamicos adds to its allure as visitors drive past villas and question if they are headed in the right direction. Once there, guests are greeted with soft sands and a quiet bay perfect for relaxation.
I stumbled across this place looking for a different restaurant. I’m glad I did! The food and service was 👍🏾 great. Was giving relaxed,” I’m in the neighborhood with family” feel. They have a kids play area and menu. The staff was accommodating to our ignorance of food and drinks. The portions were great and the taste was amazing. I highly recommend you stop by if you’re in the mood for seafood but don’t want to be fancy. 🥰

We were looking for fresh seafood and something more authentic than the usual overpriced tourist spots—and this place delivered beyond expectations. Our guide brought us here, and everything was amazing! The service was warm and attentive, and the food was out of this world. Best ceviche ever and the grilled octopus was perfection. Can’t wait to come back!
Naira P — Google review
Amazing seafood! Their speciality is seafood and you must get the Chamico’s cerviche, and the mixed grill which we couldn’t finish with 3 people!! We came here when Tacos Honorio was full with a queue and walked straight in and had great service and a fantastic lunch. Highly recommended if you’re in Tulum!

Great little spot off the main strip. Very solid ceviche and pescado frito

Some of the best seafood we've had in a long time! We went there because it was recommended to us by our bell boy at the resort we stayed. It was worth the drive and the walk will definitely be visiting again the next time we go!! Great food, service and atmosphere!

We ordered a ceviche, salad, and a grilled fish. They were all super delicious! The ceviche is a must get!! The lobster meat is so fresh and flavorful. I also really liked the salad. Not sure what dressing they used or if it's a house made sauce, but it tasted super delicious!! The cheese in the salad is also yummy!

Everything fresh everything's delicious. We tried almost all of the menu, all of items in the menu were amazing 😍. All of there waters are fresh & Natural. The place is open and somehow fresh, so if you want to cool of that's the place to go. That was are go to when we didn't find a place to go eat. it was around 30 dollars per person but we ordered 7 items of the menu at a time 🤤🤤, that price includes the drinks.

Taco restaurant
Tacos Many's Tulum is a hidden gem that offers amazing and authentic Mexican food at reasonable prices. The owner, Manny, is passionate about his craft and the restaurant is popular among locals and returning visitors. The al pastor tacos are particularly praised for their taste and juiciness. The menu includes a variety of options such as burritos, quesadillas, and fresh drinks.
Delicious tacos. Tried all flavors and best was asada and Al pastor! Verde salsa is spicy and delicious! Service was great! Got agua Fresca in bottles. Can’t complain about the street side experience :)
Alexandria C — Google review
Amazing tacos! We went with a group of 6 guys, and no one had a bad meal. We also ordered meat by the kilo to go. If you eat there you can bring your own drinks. The chorizo taco was one of the best I've ever had.

Best tacos that we ate in Tulum! Super delicious and they definitely make you full! Will definitely go again !

Burrito & tacos were soooo good. Great, fast service. Honestly, best tacos I’ve had in Tulum!

Ohlala, absolutely delicious, juicy, fresh, tasty, full of flavours, colourful and I could continue and continue.. I had quesadilla and the portion was just huge, you may add sauces which you like and how much you like.. Many is really nice, welcoming and help you to choose if you are lost in options;) In short, great experience which you want to try!
Kristýna Š — Google review
Had a mix burrito and hibiscus water and both were spot on. The burrito was large enough that it’s not possible for one person to finish it in one sitting. Good ambience, gets busier as the night progresses, and decently priced.
Manish S — Google review
My fave taco spot in Tulum. Quality of the meats were great and the price is amazing. I tried to avoid eating at restaurant that appeal to tourist as prices are comparable to back where I’m from in Toronto, Canada. The chorizo taco was my fave. I will definitely be back on my next visit!
Jay V — Google review
This local spot is in a great location right off the Main Street where a lot of the bars are downtown. I got a cucumber-lime drink and 3 tacos (beef, pork, and veggie) for $110 pesos. Each taco comes with two corn tortillas and being the carb lover I am, I always split the contents of a taco between both tortillas to make 2 smaller tacos. They taste amazing, by the way! The staff is friendly and helpful, too. The street vendors quality is sometimes a hit or miss, but Tacos Many’s hits it every time.

Cinco Pueblo is a delightful addition to Tulum's vibrant beachfront scene, known for its laid-back atmosphere and rustic-chic vibe. This spot offers an array of fresh island cuisine that caters to all tastes, from mouthwatering hand-ground rib-eye burgers to hearty vegan bowls and a variety of tacos. It's not just about the food; Cinco also features beachfront glamping for those who want to immerse themselves in paradise both day and night.
Our first night staying in Tulum we came to eat here. The staff were super attentive. The food was really great. The drink I ordered- Ola Caribena, might have been my favorite cocktail my entire vacation.

AtlasAdventured recommends this restaurant for Families visiting the Aldea Zama restaurant area of Tulum. During our time living in Tulum we visited this restaurant multiple times. They had good happy hour deals like 2x1 margaritas and 2x1 pizzas. Our 5 year old daughter loved eating here too because the had a foosball table and a little playground outside that kept her entertained while we sat. Servers were nice and provide Mosquito repellent if you request it. Not the best food and drink in Tulum but it was good and the kids activities made it a nice place to enjoy as a family. Recommend the two for one pepperoni or Margherita pizzas and the fish ceviche tostada. Margaritas were hit or miss. Sometimes they were strong and good flavor, other times they were watered down and lacked alcohol. Overall, it is overall positive and one of the better spots so worth trying if you're in the area.
Atlas A — Google review
This is the best place to go! The food is so incredibly tasty, they have good portions and it’s affordable (200 to 400 pesos a plate in general - more for some other plate). The drinks are good. The staff is so kind and welcoming. The service is A1. The vibe is nice whether you go with friends or on a date. We stayed for a week and went there 3 times. I ordered drinks, the alfredo pasta with chicken, the barbacoa tacos, the greek ensalada, the flank steak. My friends ordered the shrimp ceviche, the shrimp alfredo pasto, the all dressed. And we were all so pleased with everything. AND FULL. If you are in the area, give it a try! 20/10

Absolutely horrible food and they tried to overcharge us!!! We ordered 2 cheeseburgers and fries and beef tacos. We were charged $67 initially which I refused to pay. Converted to less than $40 and paid with cash. I took a bit of the burger and spit it out immediately. Not sure what kinda of meat it was m, but it is HORRIBLE. Beef was flank meat and basic af. The short lady with the stomach hanging to the ground was rude af. She lied and said my daughter played in her food as if that had ANYTHING TO DO WITH THEM TRYING TO OVERCHARGE US!!!! My baby speaks Spanish and understood exactly what she said and told her I wasn’t playing in my food 😂. I left $50 bc that was the smallest bill I had. I wished them a great life. There’s plenty of other options in the area that are more affordable don’t overcharge you, and actually taste good. Go elsewhere 💃🏾

Very cute eatery in La Valeta. Great service and friendly informative staff. The seating was indoor/outdoor. 2 for 1 specials were great! The salmon curry was my favorite couldn’t stop raving about it. I did try the tacos which were good as well.

Came here a few times and it’s excellent! Solid pepperoni pizza. Server showed us the catch of the day and it was a great recommendation! Fair prices and attentive service 🥂

The most lovely restaurant in Aldea Zama! Mauricio and Margely were very kind and attentive. The food was delicious! My husband had the four cheese pizza and loved it, he said “I thought we were in Mexico not Italy” 🤣 I had the ceviche and it was also YUM. 10/10 recommend Cinco!
Stephanie M — Google review
The food here was amazing. I had the catch of the day the first night we ate there and I had the salmon curry the second night. I would eat here every night if the rest of my group would have agreed to it. They had a small play area for my kids, and a Foosball table, and the bartender made an excellent Mojito. The guacamole dip was good with the table a served chips made it better. On every trip to Tulum, I plan on eating here.

Nestled in a quiet corner of Tulum, Bomba Shack is a delightful juice shop that truly stands out as a local treasure. Run by the charismatic Fernando, this charming spot offers an authentic experience that feels personal from the moment you arrive. With his warm greetings and infectious enthusiasm, he makes every visit special. The juices and smoothies are crafted with fresh ingredients, bursting with vibrant flavors that refresh on even the hottest days.
Hidden Gem in Tulum – Bomba Shack Smoothie Stand Stumbled across this little gem while training at Revolution Muay Thai Gym (also highly recommend!) and couldn’t be happier we did. Bomba Shack is a small, drive-up smoothie stand tucked just off a quiet residential street near La Veleta. It’s easy to miss, but absolutely worth seeking out. We were welcomed by Fernando, the friendly owner, who served us his signature green juice—the ‘Bomba Shack’, made with fresh pineapple, celery, ginger, spirulina, cucumber, and honey (vegan friends, just ask to omit the honey). It was vibrant, refreshing, and honestly one of the best juices we had during our time in Tulum. While we waited, Fernando treated us to some fresh watermelon and shared local tips on where to eat and which cenotes to check out—every single recommendation was spot on. Fernando’s hospitality was above and beyond, and it was clear he puts a lot of care into his ingredients and his stand. Prices are super fair, everything is made fresh with local produce, and it’s just a great vibe overall. He’s been running the stand for about a year and a half now, and we really hope he sticks around for many more. Highly recommend stopping by Bomba Shack for a smoothie or juice break, especially if you’re in the area or training at the gym nearby. And for vegan food tips in Tulum, check out @nyc_vegan_eats on IG—tons of great finds. Thanks again, Fernando. You’re the best

Fernando at Bomba Shack was amazing! He is so welcoming to all and spoke perfect English. (Fun fact: he also speaks the native Mayan language) The green juice was absolutely perfect—fresh, energizing, and the best way to start our mornings. We loved it so much we came back almost every day during our Tulum vacation. Highly recommend!

This juice shop is an absolute gem! Run by just one incredible guy, it has the kind of charm and authenticity that’s hard to find. From the moment I walked in, he greeted me with such warmth and enthusiasm, making the experience feel personal and special. You can tell he pours his heart into every juice he makes, everything is fresh, vibrant, and bursting with flavor. He even took the time to chat with me and recommend the perfect drink based on what I was in the mood for. It’s rare to see someone so passionate and dedicated to their craft. If you’re in Tulum, do yourself a favor and stop by. Not only will you get the best fresh juice, but you’ll also meet someone truly special who makes the visit unforgettable!

Bomba Shack and Fernando were a local highlight of our visit to Tulum! The juices and smoothies were as fresh as you can get, and delicious. We made a couple of visits during our vacation, and had to get one last green juice for our drive to the airport. Thanks for being awesome, Fernando!

What a beautiful place of tranquility with such beautiful natural architecture made with natural setting. The workmanship that most of the business, hotels and even beach clubs is just amazing. With great fresh food and some amazing drinks. The service in most places is just amazing especially when you travel to Tulum’s center it has great restaurants with some great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend to anyone to visit! But you should always have pesos on hand instead of paying with USD or any other currency because some of the places will make up there own exchange rate. That’s Normal practice here so would recommend to have pesos!

Food Truck Tulum is a vibrant culinary destination that beautifully marries the essence of Mexican fast food with haute cuisine influences. Nestled by the sea, it draws inspiration from its coastal surroundings, showcasing an array of textures and colors in its dishes. Open from around 4 PM until late into the night, this lively spot features 20-30 local food carts offering a delightful variety of options including tacos, quesadillas, crepes, churros, and more.
Ordered from Arepas, Tacos Flacos & El TukTuk ice cream. All 3 were amazing. Arepas and tacos were a 10/10. Food and drinks felt fairly priced. Very cute setting - was a little quiet however it was a Monday evening.

(Translated by Google) It was our first dinner as we were a bit overwhelmed with where we were going. It was close to our accommodation. The food was great. There are many different stalls, some with dishes from other South American countries. The atmosphere was nice and quiet (It was 7pm) and that's what you pay for. But in my opinion they are not utopian prices. If you want to eat something good and relax after a 20-hour journey, then this is a good place.
