Taqueria La Chiapaneca is a must-visit in Tulum for those craving homestyle Mexican food. Located at the end of the main strip on the same side as the ADO bus station, it offers fantastic pork tacos and other delectable dishes at budget-friendly prices. Great authentic place! This place wasn’t touristy and definitely felt like a local neighborhood restaurant. The tacos were really good from the ones that we got. Also very inexpensive. I would definitely go back here again.

I first discovered Taquería La Chiapaneca two years ago while staying in Tulum, and I was so excited to return in 2025. This place is absolutely fantastic! They’ve moved to a new location, which now has a beautiful inner yard where you can enjoy your food outdoors in a relaxed setting.
The menu is available in both Spanish and English, so ordering is easy even if you don’t speak Spanish. They offer a great variety of beers, plus sodas and water, and the prices are very reasonable and affordable.
I truly love this place and will definitely come back whenever I’m in Tulum. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic tacos and a great atmosphere!
This restaurant is towards the end of the main road that goes through Tulum. This is a must go to spot for people who love Al pastor (pork) in any vessel! The flame spit in the front roasts the pork fresh. We ordered an Al pastor torta, pollo and asada salbutes, al pastor tacos, Al pastor tostadas, guacamole, and some Jamaica juice. The star of the show is the pork! While the chicken and beef were also good, we kept ordering more Al pastor in different forms and even ended up buying the pastor by the kilo to bring some back to our hotel! The green and red salsas have great flavor, with the red one having a great kick from the habanero peppers. There is also a small salad bar for you to top your meal with onions, cilantro, radishes, or cabbage. We are so happy we found this small little spot, and will be enjoying the 1 kg of pork we bought to go (which came with tortillas, salsa, and the fresh veggies).
5 delicious tacos for 70 pesos! Amazingly filling and very tasty for the best price I have found so far! I ate one in the pic. Ordinarily I would never eat pineapples with my chicken, but it was so scrumptious. I was full after eating 3 and continued eating the rest, because I couldn’t help it. Lol
Really solid tacos, especially for Tulum. Stop by for a few beers (50 pesos each) and 4 al pastor tacos (20 pesos each) and hang out for a bit in their back courtyard.
Staff is very friendly and attentive, but I do recommend looking up a few Spanish phrases to make your visit a little more seamless.
Unbeatable prices for Tulum. The Tacos al Pastor were really good, but we can’t recommend the beef ones. It was quite busy, and the staff could have been more attentive – we had to wait quite a while and were seated right next to the restroom. Probably better for takeout.

Taqueria Honorio started as a modest street stall and has now become a bustling taco restaurant. It is highly recommended by locals for its specialty in Yucatan dishes such as cochinita pibil, lechon al horno, and poc chuc. The family-run establishment offers a no-frills dining experience with seating at small bars and long tables under tents.
When going on our tour, we were welcomed into this place with open arms. Me and my family, were seated down immediately and we got our food very quickly. The workers here also make the place more enjoyable, they were all very nice and pleasant to be around ☺️. Our food was very good and not very expensive. Definitely a must come if you want to eat delicious food!

Take a long cold shower before you go to this restaurant. Go in shorts, sandals and a muscle shirt. Very hot in this place but the fans do help some... Food is great. Very tasty. Good prices. Might be the best place in town. Even tourist go to this restaurant. Chilaquiles are deli deli!! Had to tell the lady that sits the people down that there were unoccupied tables because it seemed like she didn't see them. No biggie though.

We’d been reading reviews about how good a crisp Mexican Coca Cola could be, so we chose two of those to complement our meal.
One of the highlights was the beef torta, so flavourful and tender. We finished off with the flan which was great.
We also really enjoyed being able to watch the staff assemble the tacos.

Must try local place. The food is tasty and inexpensive. We had the chilaquiles with chicken and eggs and a latte and it was scrumptious. We also got super lucky and got seated right away, but plan on waiting around 15-20 minutes. Definitely a must try!
Great food and packed with locals as well as some tourists. They had a variety of meats that were available in various forms (taco, salbute, torta, quesadilla) or served as a plate with tortillas. There is also a vegetarian options. I ended up getting a taco and a quesadilla. Both were delicious. Was just the right amount of food for me with no leftovers. Food comes out quickly. Place is cash only, but it's very affordable.

Definitely one of the more popular and written avout restaurants in Tulum. Seems like every Tulum Food Guide had this place on their list. It was good and had great prices.
Very hectic and hot when its full but that's most places in Tulum. Overall a good experience and worth trying. Cochinita Pibil Torta would've been better with some veggies or additions other than meat and bread but the meat was really good. High turnover is usually a good sign for safe meat consumption here. We had been reluctant to try low cost pork since we read some horror stories. But it was good and we enjoyed eating here. Get here early because it gets really busy around lunch time.
Excellent place to get authentic Mexican fare. Don't let the exterior be a reason you don't walk in to sit down and enjoy some delicious food. Locals are always in so you know it's the real deal.

El Camello Jr. is a popular spot in Tulum known for its delicious and affordable seafood dishes. Amazing food experience. Highly recommend the Ceviche, Filet de Pescado en Salsa Camello and the Shrimp in Garlic. So good you don’t want your meal to end. Portions are great and we came back a second time and will likely go again before leaving Tulum! Paid around 250-280 Pesos per meal plus drinks (160 for cocktails).

El Camello Jr. is a must every time we’re in Tulum. The seafood is always fresh and flavorful, and my wife swears by their fried fish — crispy, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection. It’s a laid-back spot with great prices, generous portions, and fast, friendly service. Easy to find and well worth the visit, this place never disappoints. A true local gem!
It’s a local restaurant with good food. We went twice. The ceviche mixto (shrimp and octopus)was my favorite, the portions are very generous. We got a whole fried fish and tacos too. If you want good food and don’t want to spend too much this is the place! I really recommend it!
This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Tulum. The seafoods are so fresh and they give you so much food you would not walk out of here hungry. The prices are so cheap we had literally appetizer + food + desserts + drink for two under 850 pesos.

Came here solely based on the number of reviews this place got. I only tried the guac and the grilled fish tacos. The food itself was very fresh, I think the guac could have had a little more spice, but they did have hot sauce sitting around.
The price was reasonable, it could be a little lower for what it is. But overall good experience. If I go back, it will be to try something new.

If you're looking for the freshest ceviche in Tulum, this is the place to be! I have never had ceviche this good and the serving for a small order was good for 3-4 people. The price is very, very affordable as well.
We also ordered fish and shrimp tacos which both were equally as good. The sauces on the table is a must with your tacos. Also have to mention how good their bean dip is which was complimentary when they serve you the tortilla chips.

I loved this restaurant in Tulum. Food was great, experts in burritos. They don’t serve tacos. We came back next day for breakfast at 7:30 am but opening is at 8 am. Location is great and really like the setting. Tulum is hot so the trees really help. The burritos are huge and I also liked the drinks. If you are vegetarian you can easily find something from the menu. The staff is amazing. They make you feel good.

Since prices are on European-American level here in Tulum, this place remains one of those with fair prices and excellent products and welcoming service. The rib eye burrito was the best I’ve ever had. Coffe for 50 Pesos, Burritos 140-200 pesos. Also the best banana bread of my life… 5 stars all the way!
I’d heard a lot about this place but never had the chance to try it until now! In most reviews, it’s ranked in the top 2 spots for best burritos in Tulum, and after my visit, I can see why.
The vibe is cozy and relaxed, kind of like a beach-style restaurant, nothing too fancy, but it feels warm, homey, and down to earth. The staff are super friendly, welcoming, and take the time to explain the dishes really well.
We ordered the ribeye burrito, shrimp aguachile, and guacamole. The guacamole was fresh but pretty average,good, but nothing special. The burrito, though, was excellent, definitely above average! It’s wrapped in banana leaves, which gives it a tender texture and a unique flavor. I really enjoyed it, and it makes sense why this burrito is always ranked among the best in Tulum.
But the star for me was the shrimp aguachile. It’s a cold dish that’s spicy, tangy, and refreshing, like a perfect balance of the sea and fresh greens. Absolutely delicious!

The restaurant was highly recommended and it did not disappoint. The fish burrito was delicious with lots of flavour and filling. The prices were a bit on the expensive side but tulum is not that affordable in general compared to other parts of Mexico due to mass tourism. Would recommend this place :)

Best tacos of our entire trip! We were walking along 307 looking for a dinner spot and my wife and I stopped in our tracks when we saw the al pastor rotating on a spit in front of a charcoal fire. Decision made.
We got a variety: pastor, chorizo, puerco and arrachera. The charcoal smoke flavor of the al pastor was magic..wish I would've gotten 10 more haha. The prices were great too, around $140 for 7 tacos.

A review for a taqueria like El Carboncito for me boils down to the taste and quality of their taco. No, their drinks aren't the greatest and this taqueria is located in a parking lot on the tulum strip, so no points for ambience. It's about the delicious charcoal cooked pastor tacos, their centerpiece. Grab a couple cold beers across the street, sit down on a rickety chair, enjoy your meal and the people watching.
The food was good (not the best tacos in Tulum)the drinks were bad- very watered down Horchata and Jamaica. I really do recomend the Arrachera torta with cheese. What I did not like was the service. These kids are not trained enough and they overcharged me. I am not saying it was done intentionally, however, I do suggest checking your total before you pay to make sure that it is accurate.
Best street tacos we had in Tulum. We came back three times. The Al pastor is cooked with charcoal, and excellent. Arrachera tacos were excellent also. The jamaica drinks were great and they give you at least 32 oz worth.

Tacos y Tortas El Tío is a popular street vendor located at the intersection of Avenida Tulum and Calle Geminis Sur in Tulum Center. Despite limited seating (only 5 chairs around the countertop), it's a favorite among locals and visitors alike.
Found this place randomly when walking through Tulum. Highly recommended! There was a lot of people so we had to try it.
Service was fast and the tacos and the tortas we tried were amazing. Best tacos we tried in Mexico for sure. Don’t miss it!

Absolutely love this place! Their food is the best seasoned one I have tried in Mexico. Since I don't really eat meat, except chicken, I loved their chickens gringas - the chicken was cut to very small pieces which I liked a lot. The staff is very nice as well. And they also have limonada de pepino (cucumber lemonade), so make sure to grab one.
Honestly not the best al pastor tacos I’ve ever had - tacos were mid - but I guess a good price.
in terms of street food, this is my favourite. it’s always packed and the waiting time is sometimes very long (we once waited up to 30min - worth it though). if they’re busy taking orders you kinda need to make your way through the front and place your order (there’s not a line for ordering).

El Asadero was a great spot with a relaxed vibe and really tasty food. The salmon carpaccio was fresh and light, and the grilled octopus was tender and full of flavor. David, our waiter, was friendly and made sure we were well taken care of. You can feel the warmth in the place—Marco and Patty, the owners, clearly put a lot of love into what they do. Definitely worth visiting if you're in the area and want to enjoy a lovely evening while having incredible dishes!

The Pina Colada was exquisite! The shrimp Fajitas were good too. The atmosphere is wonderful fully enclosed seating space with air conditioning. They brought in the singer who was wonderful and fun entertainment. Would definitely recommend.

Excellente, When I am in Tulum I always eat at this restaurant and bring my friends. Service, food, and atmosphere absolutely always the best. My favorite is the Nuestras Espcialidad Asadero. Highly recommend this place.

Best cocktail in Mexico so far! Plenty of booze, beautifully presented. Not the cheapest at 190 mxp but great value. Comes with chips and five different sauces. Service attentive without being pushy. Went back for dinner. Excellent! Very good food in sizable portions.
Yum food with polite and friendly staff... we ordered the steak fajita which were yum ... also the guac yummy and a generous quantity. A little noisy on the road but the sunny weather and music makes up for it.

A nicer place than Honorio, and obviously we’re partial but it was great to get pastor tacos here. Excellent food, some of our favorite in Tulum, and at just 18 MXN per pastor taco you really cannot go wrong. Get the michelada also!

Classic open air restaurant with plastic chairs. Quality food, authentic ingredients, excellent guac and chips, ice cold beers, tasty hot sauce and the tacos Arrachera were juicy, delicious and had me wanting more. I will be back.
This restaurant is very clean. We ate there two times because how flavorful and clean it is. Prices are affordable and service is quick. Many other restaurant options around but this one was a great choice. Tacos pastor and Sirloin, queso & chorizo, horchata, etc, everything was very good.
Foods amazing. The tacos are some of the best I’ve had. The mango juice also was perfectly sweet. I’d avoid the quesadilla tho. Nothing wow.

This is a fantastic place to visit for a quick and flavorful meal. The food is authentic, well prepared, and fresh. They have a good selection of dishes that are moderately priced. The service was good, and the order came out quickly.
We tried the Tacos and Tortas. The taco was served on 2 soft tortillas, and it was loaded with delightful minced pork. The Torta was super stuffed with carne Al pastor.
Both dishes were nicely seasoned and didn't have any hot pepper added. If you wanted some heat, you could add hot sauces from a condiment tray.
Overall, the food was tastey, warm, and well well received. If traveling in Tulum, you should check this spot out.
Probably the best tacos we had during our stay in Mexico. A lot of different salsas, perfectly seasoned and juicy meat and fresh ingredients. Why can't restaurants in Playa del Carmen be as good as Tropi Tacos in Tulum. Service was friendly and helpful as well, always a smile on their face. The location itself is nice too, a bit off the main street, but still very good to reach. We stopped by because of the very good reviews, and at the end we weren't disappointed. All in all a perfectly fine lunch!
Just be aware that they add a fee if you want to pay with credit cards. I can't remember how much the fee was, but it definitely stuck into my mind that it was way higher than the usual.

We came to the one in the hotel zone in the offseason so nobody was really there but it was still a vibe.
We got the Best Steak Tacos I've had so far. The tenderness, the flavor, just done so right and came out delicious.

The food was amazing! I got the Pastor nachos, the meat had a nice smoky flavor and the jalapeño added a little sweetness cause I was expecting it to be spicy but it wasn’t! I did originally order a mango margarita but I think there was a switch up at the bar and I got the wrong drink, but it’s ok cause the one I got was hitting girl!! Andre was my server and he was very sweet and attentive loved the atmosphere and there was a sweet kitty to accompany me 🥰
We loved eating here during our stay in Tulum. The tacos are delicious and the service is great. We especially liked the fish taco options. Everything was very fresh and tasty. They also have their own private parking in the back which was really convenient.

Service we received was unacceptable on Friday, May 30, 2025. An English speaking waiter kept addressing me as “my boy”, constantly flirted with my partner, and kept interrupting our dining experience by asking her personal questions including where she’s from and when she will be back. When I asked for the WiFi password, he told me to blow on the tabletop napkin holder for it to appear. Please train this individual to maintain professional service. Food was ok but that gentleman ruined our dining experience so we will not be returning.

This place completely blew us away. El Takazo Jr isn’t just a restaurant, it’s the kind of spot that makes you feel like you’ve found something special. We ordered the fried fish, gringas, quesadilla, and camarones chipilín, and every bite was incredible. The food was fresh, full of flavor, and clearly made with love. The drinks were also delicious, refreshing and a perfect match to the meal.
What really made the experience unforgettable was the service. Marin took amazing care of us so attentive, kind, and thoughtful. Angel also came by to check in on us, which meant a lot. They even made small changes to the dishes just to accommodate us, which says so much about how much they care about their guests. It’s rare to find service like this, genuine and full of heart.
The vibe of the place is super chill, clean, and welcoming. The kind of spot you just want to hang out at. Huge thank you to the entire team, especially the cooks in the kitchen. We truly felt the love in everything you served.
If you’re in Tulum and looking for somewhere authentic, delicious, and filled with good energy, this is it. Thank you for such a beautiful experience!
The quesadilla was really good and the pastor tacos were tasty as well (a tad too much seasoning for my taste). My dinner mates also enjoyed their meals as well. Service was excellent. Would definitely return.

The most AUTHENTIC, DELICIOUS experience you can get and for so CHEAP!! Every dish we got was flavorful, seasoned even if you got the simple grilled chicken. My favorite was the grilled Arachera steak and the Mole with chicken (only $100 pesos!). Really tasty steak burrito too. We had our food with the freshest tortillas,
made by an older Mayan woman hand making each one in house, which I LOVE!! We also tried some appetizers (like fresh quesadillas, which they call Keka) which were all good! We got 5 plates plus appetizers for about $32 US dollars and with food left over for the street dogs. They’ll probably ask you to pay with cash if you’re foreign / don’t speak Spanish though

Everything we got here was phenomenal! The hibiscus agua fresca, the watermelon agua Fresca and the Horchata were amazing and we all chugged them after our cenotes tour. I’m pretty sure that we got every single type of taco they offer and not one disappointed! I would be careful with the chilly oil though because it will sneak up on you and take you out if you’re not careful hahaha!

Best Tacos Pepe is a popular taqueria in Tulum known for its delicious and affordable tacos. The stall opens at 6 p.m., and there's usually a wait, but the service is quick and friendly. Absolutely delicious! There were four of us, and we ordered almost every dish on the menu — everything was incredible! The prices are very reasonable for the quality and portions. The live music and show made the atmosphere super fun and full of energy. The staff were so friendly and attentive, even though the place was quite busy. You can't visit this city without visiting Negro Huitlacoxe. You will have the best Mexican food with amazing atmosphere for the indoor and the outdoor. They have also grilled fish but I preferred to go with the easiest one as you see in the photos.
The prices are so reasonable and the food is so delicious. The restraunt is hidden behind the main street and it is worth to find it. I started eating before I getting my photos.
Negro Huitlacoxe was recommended by some of my Mexican friends, and I was very curious to try it. Like many places in the Tulum area, the restaurant doesn’t look like much from the outside (especially compared to the hotel zone), but once you step inside, everything changes.
You can immediately feel the culture, the homey atmosphere, and the authentic vibe. In one corner of the restaurant, there’s a big pot on the fire where the meat cooks for 10–14 hours (according to the waiter), which adds to the experience.
The service was fantastic! I was actually surprised to see some reviews mention bad service at least for me, it was excellent. The food was also incredible. I highly recommend starting with the corn appetizer it was insanely good, and I’ll never forget the taste.
Prices are a little higher than other restaurants in downtown Tulum, but still way cheaper than the hotel zone and the food is much better.
I strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Tulum!
Good food but a little pricey. I went with my boyfriend for celebrating our birthday we ordered a whole fish, tacos and some drinks. They send us a dessert as a courtesy the best churros with chocolate. We paid US$251.
My partner and I went for dinner at Negro huitlacoxe on a Wednesday and loved it so much we went back again for dinner the next night!
The first night we went we had a waiter named Jose, he was absolutely excellent! Very attentive to the table and very good at speaking English as we speak basic Spanish.
The next night we had a waiter named Julian who was equally as proficient, all around we had fantastic service from everyone!
The atmosphere is next level, the outdoor setting is tropical plants, vibrant lights, fantastic music, open kitchen and rustic decor.
Lastly the food!
To start we tried their signature dish which was corn ribs which were out of this world!
We also had birra tacos and birra quesadilla’s with consomé as well as grilled beef and chorizo vampiro, which was like a tostada for lack of my Mexican cuisine knowledge. Which were all amazing!
The cocktails we had were delicious and exceeded expectations with the restaurant giving their own unique expression and creativity to old and new.
10/10! Would go back a third time if we were here for longer! Thank you for such a fantastic experience!

Wonderful, friendly workers, and they spoke English which helped with our minimal Spanish speaking skills. Prices were solid, spent about $25 for an aperol spritz and a meal! Definitely order the birria tacos they were chronic! And the restaurant itself was BEAUTIFUL, chill and very photogenic atmosphere!

Weird this place has bad reviews - the food is pretty incredible and I got an insight to their attention to detail and pride in the restaurant when I saw them wiping clean each of the sauce bottle caps. The wonderful tuna taco was incredible and the shrimps amazing.

This was the best food we ate in Mexico hands down: fine dining, street tacos, this place beat them all. The menu is extensive so we asked the waiters to recommend their favourites and we where glad we did as we had some items we wouldn’t have tried otherwise. Different sauces (note: white one very spicy) and tostadas are complementary. Short menu, online due to COVID. The waitress doesn't offer any menu explanations, maybe you have to ask the questions. Is very breezy so it's nice even when is outside.

The chicken restaurant El Pollo Bronco in Tulum is a great place to get a delicious, affordable meal. The chicken is always cooked perfectly and they have a variety of tortillas and toppings available to add to your meal.
Highly recommend this unassuming spot in Tulum centro. Their roasted chicken is delicious. The ribs were also very flavourful! Seems to be a local spot so the vibe was awesome with affordable prices.

Oh my GOD their papa con queso!! A little foil pouch of mashed potatoes and heaven. Great for some comfort food on a rainy day. I got the 1/4 chicken and that when I was really hungry and it was the perfect amount. The chicken itself was delicious too. Definitely going back! Staff was friendly. Bathroom acceptable. You can order the chicken in a variety of sizes (quarter,half or full) accompanied with rice lettuce fresh tortillas and a spicy tomato sauce.
You can't be a half a chicken rice and some sides for five bucks.
Definitely worth a visit on your trip just to taste something other than tacos.

We loved our brunch at Del Cielo!!! The environment is outdoor airy and all the staff carry an enthusiastic smile. They were very eager to take care of all our requests.
I’m a bit of a coffee snob and I got a caramel cappuccino that was perfect. I also got the eggs Benedict that were on top of a crispy hash brown instead of any kind of bread at that was a brilliant combo. The açaí was mixed with coconut yogurt had great taste to it.

One of my favorite breakfast spots in Tulum Centro! Went here 3 times in a week. Lovely atmosphere, food is so fresh and plentiful, staff is so friendly. My husband and I tried so many things and loved them all!

Grossest food I’ve eaten 🤢 . The coffee was bad (sour milk), the yogurt tasted like something foul was in it, and the chilaquiles were horrible, the taste was like watery tomatoes, in addition this was fresh out of the kitchen all of the chips were soggy 🌧️ ! How does that happen? The staff is nice, and the atmosphere is good, but my oh my the food was so bad. I think a lot of ingredients were expired. I’ve eaten all over the world and had some bad food, but this was so bad me and my wife didn’t even eat more than a few nibbles and left.

You can choose between fried eggs or scrambled eggs 🍳I went with scrambled, and it was the right choice 🙂😋💜
It came with sauce, but the avocado, salmon, and eggs were already full of flavor, so I enjoyed it as it was⭐️
The bread was soft and easy to eat I really liked the texture, kind of like French bread🥖✨

Went to go grab some tequila before we left Tulum. This shop was on the corner. Got a lil bit of breakie and lunch. Had the chiliquiles and added steak (after checking with the kitchen). Good Mexican food and good service! Although it seems to be a franchise or “chain”-Restaurant the food was very good - comparable to the food you get on the streets but always in addition with a bit of a “special” (i.e. cheese crust on the tortillas). Also made a very clean impression. The restaurant opened only a week ago.

I went to this place on a trip to Tulum. I sat at the bar and loved the bartender who was very knowledgeable about tequila, mascal, and Tulum.
The food was great especially the salmon tostada. I also ordered the steak tacos, which were a little dry, and the Shrimp tacos which were good but needed some type of acid to cut the friend batter.
Only issue we had was they had a sign for 2 for 1 cocktails. When the bill arrived, we were then told that the specual was only from 4 to 6 PM even though the sign did not state as such.
Makes no sense also to have a special during dinner time and not 4 to 5 PM when we went.

Had a great experience with Ricardo for the mezcal cheese tasting. He was very knowledgeable (also a wine sommelier), and gave us tips for tasting and identifying different notes through sight, smell, and taste. We were surprised that the cheeses paired really well and allowed the mezcals to shine. We also stayed for dinner and were impressed with our tacos/meal.

The ambiance is spot on, with live music most nights of the week adding energy to an already vibrant space. Tacos start at around 80 MXN, with most mains in the 100–200 MXN range, making it a great value for the quality and atmosphere. One of the best ways to kick off your Tulum trip.
Visited during low season and it is very apparent, we were the only people on a Saturday night dining. Food was good and service was great, pricing could be better based on the quality of food.
Mamozul is one of the best restaurants we’ve visited in Tulum. First of all, the interior design is stunning—words can’t do justice to the details. When it comes to fine touches in decor, these guys are professionals. The place is absolutely top-notch, a solid 10 out of 10.
The service was also fantastic—super friendly and attentive staff. They were very polite and made sure we were well taken care of. There were some delays with the food, but they kept us informed the entire time, letting us know it would be out soon. So, no complaints there.
As for the food and drinks, everything was exceptional. The dishes were top-tier, the alcohol was of the highest quality, and the presentation, design, and style of everything were spot on. We loved every bit of it.

Suculenta Tamaleria is a family-run vegan restaurant located in downtown Tulum, operating since 2015. They specialize in offering a variety of flavors of vegan tamales, tacos, soups, and pastries along with fresh juices and coffee. The restaurant has its own garden and orchard open to the public. Despite being fully vegan, their dishes are creatively crafted and bursting with flavor.
Everything is deliciously tasty, I think we got one of everything, plus juice—which we highly suggest! The food is super flavorful authentic Mexican spices yet clean vegan, which makes you feel really good and healthy afterwards. Everything is cooked and made super fresh, there is no processed oils or fake food here. Home cooked with quality ingredients where you can taste the love in every bite! The garden in the back is lovely for cacao during the day as well! Love this place so much and will come back often.

We are not vegan and we do not strive vegan food, but we liked good tasting food and Suculenta delivered on good.
The juice drinks were above average, the salad had a really combo of nuts and dried fruits. I thought I would like tamales but it’s a little too « corny » for my taste (but still well done by the chef).
The real standout are the mushroom tacos with homemade tortillas, you could just for that dish and be happy.
Service was friendly and discreet, sit at the outdoor patio in the back.

Beautiful spot with an older man cooking in the back on a makeshift home kitchen. Small menu with creative Mexican flavors. Wait time can be long for some of the items as it’s made fresh to order. They have a nice backyard in the back with a few cats roaming around and music playing.

No frills authentic pozole soup. Most people come to Tulum for the fancy restaurants, but this is the good stuff. Outdoor seating no aircon so be prepared to sweat a bit, but it’s worth it. Location is easy to miss if there’s cars parked out front. I eat here at least once a week. I always get the green pozole as it’s special, but it seems the fan favorite is the red. Medium is more than enough to fill you up but if you want something special order a sopa. If there’s 4 of you order a mole chilaquiles to share.
You’ll see lots of locals so you know it’s the good stuff. Also as friendly on the wallet as can be. Service is always fast and super friendly. LUNCH ONLY!! Make sure you don’t miss this experience!!

OLA TACO! is a hidden gem that offers amazing tortillas and excellent flavor combinations. The octopus taco is particularly outstanding, and the accompanying condiments are delicious. The rum rice milk drink is also highly recommended for its ability to complement the spice of the side sauces. Despite being empty at times, the restaurant has a chill vibe and offers decent prices for generously portioned seafood tacos. Visitors can enjoy perfectly crispy fish tacos and great deals on combos with beer or shrimp tacos.
I can't believe I exist in a period of Earth's history when I can visit a place like this. The seafood tacos were out of this world. I'm coming back tomorrow to try all their varieties of Ceviche. This place is a treasure in this community. ☮️❤️🌈

The different tacos came with just the main part and you can add on salsas which seemed basic to all the other places which would pair the main and a different fruit/veggie or special dressing. Fun vegan menu with comfort foods at a VERY affordable price! Though many items on the menu are deep fried, it tastes delicious! We were happy to get our lemonade and Jamaica/hibiscus refreshments without sugar. The atmosphere is relaxed and we caught musicians playing live music inside tonight!
Fantastic vegan restaurant with friendly staff cooking up authentic Mexican dishes. Highly suggest the guacamole and tacos (especially the breaded avocado, eggplant, and oyster mushroom tacos)! They also make tasty (and stiff) regular and frozen margaritas! The outdoor seating is vibey, and they host a comedy night on Tuesdays and a talent show on Thursdays.

Please note that if you come here, don't expect the luxury or cleanliness of high-end tourist restaurants. However, I believe this is part of experiencing a local Mexican restaurant.

Delicious tacos! Al pastor, birria, champequena, and chorizo all delicious. But the star is the verduras escabiche served as an appetizer. So tasty. Atmosphere is bare bones, but with lots of character. Staff is friendly and helpful. Food is cooked in an open grill station while you watch!
This is such a great place off the beaten path from the strip. Amazing service and food. We went here twice during our trip because my fiancé loved it so much. Very local and authentic food. Strawberry daiquiri was around ~$7 and IT WAS BOMB 💥 Prices were very reasonable (Edit:The menu price is in pesos not US dollars.)

ITS STILL ABSOLUTELY THE BEST PLACE TO EAT AND DRINK!
We came back to the area for another family vacation, this time we brought more family. After taking them to a few other “hot spots” in the area everyone was blown away with the flavor (get birria!!) of the meat and the dishes. The tortilla soup is amazing, the nachos and the tacos are absolutely delicious, and they do not skimp on their drinks. La beuna Vida and other places serve you very light in the alcohol in hopes you’ll buy more shots and increase your bill, this place serves normal drinks in a good way! And our wait staff worked so hard to help our large group the entire time we were there. Hands down love this place!

Dear lord we love this place. The vibe is great, the service is outstanding and the food absolutely nails it every time. The waiter (sawyer) spoke perfect English. The burgers are amazing, too! The portion of the meat they give in the tacos is generous. At 20$ (mxn) per taco we never leave hungry. Dont bother with other places, at least not yet. Come here first!

I stumbled across this place looking for a different restaurant. I’m glad I did! The food and service was 👍🏾 great. Was giving relaxed,” I’m in the neighborhood with family” feel. They have a kids play area and menu. The staff was accommodating to our ignorance of food and drinks. The portions were great and the taste was amazing. I highly recommend you stop by if you’re in the mood for seafood but don’t want to be fancy. 🥰

Some of the best seafood we've had in a long time! We went there because it was recommended to us by our bell boy at the resort we stayed. It was worth the drive and the walk will definitely be visiting again the next time we go!! Great food, service and atmosphere!
We ordered a ceviche, salad, and a grilled fish. They were all super delicious! The ceviche is a must get!! The lobster meat is so fresh and flavorful.

Everything fresh everything's delicious. We tried almost all of the menu, all of items in the menu were amazing 😍. All of there waters are fresh & Natural. The place is open and somehow fresh, so if you want to cool of that's the place to go. That was are go to when we didn't find a place to go eat. it was around 30 dollars per person but we ordered 7 items of the menu at a time 🤤🤤, that price includes the drinks.

Amazing tacos! We went with a group of 6 guys, and no one had a bad meal. We also ordered meat by the kilo to go. If you eat there you can bring your own drinks. The chorizo taco was one of the best I've ever had.

Had a mix burrito and hibiscus water and both were spot on. The burrito was large enough that it’s not possible for one person to finish it in one sitting.

My fave taco spot in Tulum. Quality of the meats were great and the price is amazing. I tried to avoid eating at restaurant that appeal to tourist as prices are comparable to back where I’m from in Toronto, Canada.

This local spot is in a great location right off the Main Street where a lot of the bars are downtown. I got a cucumber-lime drink and 3 tacos (beef, pork, and veggie) for $110 pesos. Each taco comes with two corn tortillas and being the carb lover I am, I always split the contents of a taco between both tortillas to make 2 smaller tacos. They taste amazing, by the way! The staff is friendly and helpful, too. The street vendors quality is sometimes a hit or miss, but Tacos Many’s hits it every time.

During our time living in Tulum we visited this restaurant multiple times. They had good happy hour deals like 2x1 margaritas and 2x1 pizzas. Our 5 year old daughter loved eating here too because the had a foosball table and a little playground outside that kept her entertained while we sat. Servers were nice and provide Mosquito repellent if you request it. Not the best food and drink in Tulum but it was good and the kids activities made it a nice place to enjoy as a family. Recommend the two for one pepperoni or Margherita pizzas and the fish ceviche tostada. Margaritas were hit or miss. Sometimes they were strong and good flavor, other times they were watered down and lacked alcohol. Overall, it is overall positive and one of the better spots so worth trying if you're in the area.
This is the best place to go! The food is so incredibly tasty, they have good portions and it’s affordable (200 to 400 pesos a plate in general - more for some other plate).
The drinks are good. The staff is so kind and welcoming. The service is A1. The vibe is nice whether you go with friends or on a date.
We stayed for a week and went there 3 times. I ordered drinks, the alfredo pasta with chicken, the barbacoa tacos, the greek ensalada, the flank steak. My friends ordered the shrimp ceviche, the shrimp alfredo pasto, the all dressed. And we were all so pleased with everything. AND FULL.

Absolutely horrible food and they tried to overcharge us!!! We ordered 2 cheeseburgers and fries and beef tacos. We were charged $67 initially which I refused to pay. Converted to less than $40 and paid with cash. I took a bit of the burger and spit it out immediately. Not sure what kinda of meat it was m, but it is HORRIBLE. Beef was flank meat and basic af. The short lady with the stomach hanging to the ground was rude af. She lied and said my daughter played in her food as if that had ANYTHING TO DO WITH THEM TRYING TO OVERCHARGE US!!!! My baby speaks Spanish and understood exactly what she said and told her I wasn’t playing in my food 😂. I left $50 bc that was the smallest bill I had. I wished them a great life.
There’s plenty of other options in the area that are more affordable don’t overcharge you, and actually taste good. Go elsewhere 💃🏾
Very cute eatery in La Valeta. Great service and friendly informative staff. The seating was indoor/outdoor. 2 for 1 specials were great! The salmon curry was my favorite couldn’t stop raving about it. I did try the tacos which were good as well.

The most lovely restaurant in Aldea Zama! Mauricio and Margely were very kind and attentive. The food was delicious! My husband had the four cheese pizza and loved it, he said “I thought we were in Mexico not Italy” 🤣 I had the ceviche and it was also YUM. 10/10 recommend Cinco!
The food here was amazing. I had the catch of the day the first night we ate there and I had the salmon curry the second night. I would eat here every night if the rest of my group would have agreed to it. They had a small play area for my kids, and a Foosball table, and the bartender made an excellent Mojito. The guacamole dip was good with the table a served chips made it better. On every trip to Tulum, I plan on eating here.

Stumbled across this little gem while training at Revolution Muay Thai Gym (also highly recommend!) and couldn’t be happier we did. Bomba Shack is a small, drive-up smoothie stand tucked just off a quiet residential street near La Veleta. It’s easy to miss, but absolutely worth seeking out.
We were welcomed by Fernando, the friendly owner, who served us his signature green juice—the ‘Bomba Shack’, made with fresh pineapple, celery, ginger, spirulina, cucumber, and honey (vegan friends, just ask to omit the honey). It was vibrant, refreshing, and honestly one of the best juices we had during our time in Tulum. While we waited, Fernando treated us to some fresh watermelon and shared local tips on where to eat and which cenotes to check out—every single recommendation was spot on.
Fernando’s hospitality was above and beyond, and it was clear he puts a lot of care into his ingredients and his stand. Prices are super fair, everything is made fresh with local produce, and it’s just a great vibe overall. He’s been running the stand for about a year and a half now, and we really hope he sticks around for many more.

Tulum Beach Hotel is located in the Beach Strip zone of Tulum, which is about a 15-20 minute ride from the main beach area. While it may not be situated on the main stretch of Tulum beach, it provides a range of amenities and activities.
What a beautiful place of tranquility with such beautiful natural architecture made with natural setting. The workmanship that most of the business,hotels and even beach clubs is just amazing. With great fresh food and some amazing drinks. The service in most places is just amazing especially when you travel to Tulum’s center it has great restaurants with some great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend to anyone to visit! But you should always have pesos on hand instead of paying with USD or any other currency because some of the places will make up there own exchange rate. That’s Normal practice here so would recommend to have pesos!

El Paraíso Beach Club, gorgeous Sandy beaches , lounge chairs with umbrella … a few steps from the beach , service amazing as was the sand side grill with choice of meats and fish.
Rooms were not up to standards, location was great, front desk and concierge service were great as well but everything else such as cleaning, drinks at the bar, etc was below average.
