Best souvlaki in Athens ! You definitely have to go there. Each sandwich is really cheap. Souvlaki is not that big so I recommend ordering at least two per person (but you will order more because it’s so good). Meat is delicious, juicy and well seasoned. Very friendly staff, family atmosphere. Many if simple (attached) but you don’t need anything more. Don’t go there right before closing time because they can be sold out. It’s a must visit! The BEST souvlaki place in whole of Athens! I first ordered one souvlaki as I wasn’t really hungry. As soon as I took the first bite I knew I would get another one. The meatballs in the souvlaki were very bouncy and juicy. The staff were happy that I came back and they made a new one straight away. If you are in the neighborhood try to swing by!

Amazing traditional souvlaki spot! You can really taste the quality and history here - they’ve been serving since 1951, and it shows. The meat is juicy and flavorful, the pita is soft, and everything feels authentically Greek. Perfect place for a quick, delicious bite in the city. Definitely one of the best souvlakis around!

Ate Gyros for at least a meal a day for my entire trip in Greece. This has the be the best gyros in Athens, might even be Greece. First of all, they don’t put fries in the gyros. It comes as a side. This difference already sets it apart from the other gyros and improves the overall flavour of the gyros without the greasiness from the fries Secondly, it’s has an excellent meat, vegetable and sauce ratio. In other places, you would get too little meat, and too much sauce. The cucumbers and onions were fresh and thinly sliced. Every bite comes with a crunch. The meat so juicy and flavourful Lastly, the pita bread. They were roasted fresh on the spot. It’s crunch on the outside and fluffy on the inside. It’s not bread. It’s roti prata without the buttery taste. The gyros is amazingly delicious. Best of all, it’s only 3.7 EUR per gyros and you get a hearty, healthy meal. You know this place is good. This was our very first meal in Athens during the heat wave, and my son couldn’t have picked a better spot. It’s in the busy area by Monastiraki Square, but the service is super fast. The yogurt kebab was juicy and packed with flavor, and the Greek salad tasted so fresh. Portions are generous, the beer was ice-cold, and the lively vibe made the crazy heat much easier to handle. The yogourtlou kebab was actually the yummiest thing I’ve ever eaten. The meat was so tender, the sauce was so flavourful, the pita was so soft and buttery and soaked up all the flavours! This is the oldest restaurant in Athens, founded back in 1948 — such a charming piece of history! 🇬🇷✨ We ordered the yoghurt kebab, which tasted quite good, though the portion was so big that we got a little tired of the flavor halfway through. We also tried the grilled mozzarella, which tasted exactly as you’d expect — warm, cheesy, and comforting. Definitely get the rice it’s very good and taste like home comfort food. The pide and lahmacun wrap were ok. Trying to be a bit different with the flavours but the bread wasn’t so soft or fluffy and a little dry so I wouldn’t say it’s the best pide I’ve had. Dessert was great though.

A while ago my friend told me that if I ever go to Athens, Greece I must go to Fayrouz Restaurant and taste their Lebanese food, It is really delicious. Finally traveled to Athens and remembered his advice so I went to Fayrouz Restaurant to taste their food. They welcomed me and asked me how I knew about this restaurant. After that, the owner of the restaurant welcomed me very warmly and she was very nice.I ordered a Sultans Nest and Peinirli Pastourma both were delicious, The restaurant was small but very nice and located in the corner of the building and the other corner is the Feyrouz Coffee Shop for the same owner, I enjoyed the food and highly recommend.

There are so many vegan places in Athens and it was real hornet's nest to choose something during a short trip, but I hit the jackpot! We had Rainbow supreme souvlaki and cookoomela bacon n' cheese burger, both were amazing 😍 and the prices are very reasonable. Lovely vegan souvlaki place in Exarchia. The owner is very kind. Serving sizes are giant and I can eat a lot :) I also really liked the organic white wine they serve. If you are into vegan food and in Athens, you should put it on your list.

Worth of trying the food here. You can have a typical famous gyros, but instead of meat, with mushrooms inside. The mushrooms, mushy but also crunchy making them a great substitute of meat. Also the vegan sauces are really good here.

Best gyros ever had. I wish somewhere back home in Brighton could do something like these. Excellent quality, great nutritional value, non greasy and very well priced. Possibly my favourite food whilst here in Athens.

One of the best overall dining experiences of my life! I found this place by looking for a good steak in Athens. The reviews were good so I book a reservations. From the moment I entered the restaurant everything things started good and just got better. Ambience: The design is modern nature with lighting that accents the earth tones and naturalistic design. So when they say, “ come down in a garden” you definitely feel as in you have been set in a candle lit garden mixed with an umbrella elegant upscale restaurant! As the man out with a lady I am usually sitting in the chair as apposed to the bench, and of course these chair vary in comfort. At Vezene the chair was a solid wood frame with a leather fir. Leather cushion that made me want to order a set to take home. The bathroom was not only clean but design with every detail in mind. From the gap soap with a slight grit, to the small clothes to dry hands, and event the faucet was placed over a wooden slat sink that kept the natural design going. Service: The host, sommelier, server, server assistant, all were attentive and accommodating. We were recommended a wonderful small production semi-sweet muscat that was light fruit forward and delighted my guest. Our server went over recommendations and highlighted dishes that were staples and guest favorites. We followed her recommendation and were not disappointed by anything we tried. Plates and silverware were promptly reset for eat course. Wine and water was kept chill away from the table and refreshed as needed. Food: We tried at least 5 starters and a main dish, the core de beouef. My favorites were the pellet tomatoes with a roasted report dipping sauce and whipped cheese that was diving. And of course the Cote de beouf perfectly cooked medium sliced thin with roasted cauliflower, peppers, and garlic. Salted just so. For desert we have a dish that was moist chocolate cake with a ganaches, vanilla ice cream with winter spice, nuts. The combination of textures and layered flavors had my guest doing a little jig. Everyones taste are different so I will let the pictures speak to you. I can not recommend this restaurant enough!

Best kebab pita of my trip. Bit of a wait (maybe 10-15 minutes), but the line moves quickly, and the meal is well worth the wait. They have some outdoor seating, which was filled when I was there, but the restaurant is located in a square with many seating spaces.

Hands down, best gyro spot in Athens. For being in the dead city center, its prices are impressively cheap and its food is very delicious. The founder has been there for several decades and he was there when we went. We just asked him to make us something he recommended and thought we would like. He made us a beef gyro with a tomato sauce that I haven’t tried anywhere else. The beer is also $1.50 and well worth it. During lunch and dinner time, there will definitely be a line. The food comes out very fast.

It was really good so it does live up to the hype I would say by the lineup and wait gets pretty lengthy at times which is unfortunate. Food is fresh and the prices are fair so if you have the patience to wait or if you ever pass by and there’s no line I’d definitely recommend to give it a try.

Absolutely amazing! It was one of the best meals I’ve ever had, amazing chicken skewers with veggies, fava beans and hummus with pita! It was so so reasonably priced too, we paid 35 euro for a meal for two with mains, sides, drinks and alcohol.

We went there 3 nights in a row with friends after seeing a concert at nearby Lycabettus Hill, and every single bite knocked it out of the park. Nourishing salads, plenty of thoughtful and creative and delicious options for vegetarians and meat eaters alike! The atmosphere was perfect for long and enjoyable conversations with friends over beers, and the staff was attentive, friendly, and engaging! This restaurant was a mainstay for our trip and we will most certainly be returning when we return to Greece!

This place is amazing. We were visiting Athens and staying across the street. The first time we ate here was out of convenience. The second time was because we could not stop thinking about the delicious food. Seriously, the best tzatziki ever.

Greek salad is good, but the rest of food was tasteless. Besides, they charge for the bottle of water we even didn't ask while in most places around Athens they give a bottle free of charge as a compliment. I honestly don’t understand how this place has such high ratings. We sat down, waited, and no one brought us a menu. Eventually, we had to get up and grab it ourselves. Then a staff member came to our table and spoke to us in an incredibly rude and impatient manner, as if we were bothering him just by being there. He answered our questions with visible annoyance and brought the food and water by practically slamming them on the table. Even if the food is decent, service like this completely ruins the experience. Hospitality is about more than just food — it’s about treating people with respect. This restaurant failed at that on every level. If I hadn’t been starving late at night, I would’ve walked out. Absolutely unacceptable behavior. A place with this kind of attitude doesn’t deserve the praise it gets.

Found this place through an article in a magazine, about the best kebab places in Athens. The shop is very old but original. Reminded me of the kebab shops of the 70’s. The kebab preparing area though is refurbished. I tried the original kebab and I was impressed. Smooth flavor, not heavy or very spicy, with good balance of salt and fat. This is not the place that you will visit to stay for dinner, since there are only 3 tables. But I highly recommend it for take away, if your appetite needs a good and original kebab.

Really good food, really good meat, very simple, no frills place, with great low prices, and a very hot signature sauce. Been there for many many years, and the stable clientele shows it's quality. Honestly, nothing special. I know that it's one of the old school spots in the area, but visiting it in 2023, I cannot see the thrill. His sauce is good, extra spicy, so if you enjoy that definitely go for it. Other than that, the quality of chicken and pork meat in the pita was okeish - mediocre. The place is always crowded inside so be prepared to wait. A wiser decision would be the take away option.

We never felt rushed in spite of people being turned away because no more tables were available. The calamari was the best we’ve eaten in Athens. We ordered the moussaka because we’d read that they received awards for theirs, but we found it a bit dry. The tzikki was excellent! We are planning to return tonight to try other dishes on their menu, just because we felt so welcomed and at home in this setting.

All of the restaurant workers were extremely friendly and the food was exceptional. We ordered a catch of the day white grouper along with a fried calamari as an appetizer. Our stomachs were way too full for dessert so we just asked for the bill and the waiter brought us two small portions of cheese cake and 2 lemon shots. We really enjoyed this restaurant -- I'm a huge fan of traditional Greek food and my friend enjoyed trying the mezze dishes. Dolmadakia were delicious, with a nice taste of pomegranate. Mushrooms too were very tasty. The gyros plate is huge! It was to our chagrin that we didn't have enough room to put all that away, but immense value for money. Staff are very friendly and amenable.

The food was absolutely amazing! Great location, the staff is so friendly and are always on care about you. The recommendations they gave was on point! Totally recommend the sea food platter of the day depending on the catch of fish, also the lamb with rice was stunning good, melting in my mouth! A Place worth coming for more than once in a time! I had a great overall experience at this cozy spot in Greece. I started with a Greek coffee, which was really good—rich, strong, and m reminded me of Egyptian or Turkish coffee. For starters, I had the fried cheese bites. Most of them were delicious, crispy on the outside with gooey cheese inside, but one was still partially frozen in the center and a few had a slightly bitter, undercooked doughy taste. For my main, I went with the pork gyro platter, which came with pita and potatoes. The pork was flavorful but a bit dry and not hot enough. I found myself wanting a bit more pita to go with it. The white dipping sauce on the side was creamy and flavorful, a perfect match for the meat, definitely the highlight of the plate. The service was friendly, attentive, and very accommodating throughout the meal, which really added to the experience. At the end, they brought out a free dessert—a soft, fragrant orange cake with cinnamon that was absolutely amazing and easily my favorite part of the meal. That said, the restaurant does strike me as being geared more toward tourists, likely due to its location and a menu that is partly ready-made or pre-frozen. While that doesn’t take away from the overall enjoyment, it’s something to keep in mind. I’m giving it four stars because while the food and service were very enjoyable, there were a couple of small execution issues. Still, I’d happily return for the coffee and cake.

I loved this place, even on a hot day the garden was cool and covered in shade from the vines growing overhead. Fairy lights and stone walls added to a great atmosphere. And the food... it was very tasty and fresh. Squid was exquisite: fresh, soft and only dusted in flour as opposed to heavy battered oily and rubbery thing you find in some places. And you get the whole plate of just squid and lemon, no silly plate fillers.

I had some lunch here today and loved the Musakhan and chicken salad. The musakhan was delicious with little taste of cinnamon and I just loved it! The service was fast and attentive. My husband loved the complimentary desert - some traditional cakes very much. Loved the lights and vibes on the ceiling thus would love to come back here for dinner again.

Started out with the halloumi, which was great. Also got the zucchini, which was soggy. Would not recommend. For our main course we got the chicken souvlaki which was nice and juicy with a good flavor. We also got Moussaka, which I would not recommend. The dessert was complimentary, and it was good. It tasted like some kind of orange breaded dessert. I liked it. Overall not a bad place to grab some food, if you’re in the area.

The food was really tasty and the atmosphere was nice and cozy. We ordered a lot of meat and a Greek salad — the portions were huge! The meat platter was definitely enough for four people, and we even took some home. The staff was friendly, but at the beginning it took quite a while before we were seated, which was a bit confusing. At the end, they brought us a complimentary dessert, which was delicious, such a nice gesture! Thank you for a lovely evening.

The food is so amazing here we went to eat two days in a row and we stuffed or face so fast I only took one picture 😂. They have a complimentary bread and olive paste for starters and amazing portocalopita desert. The waiters are very attentive and the place is almost always full. You must try this place!

A typical restaurant for tourists in the heart of the city at the foot of the Acropolis. The portions are very generous so you can eat well, but the fact is that the food could be much better. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the biggest drawback is the crowded tables in the outdoor part of the restaurant.

We found this restaurant by accident on our first day in Athens, we wanted to have a nice lunch but weren’t prepared for fine dining, hence we didn’t not try the whole menu. We had Greek salad that was truly refreshing with the frozen cucumber slushie, nice touch, we also had squid with fresh courgettes and couscous with lots of lime and some mint, was a taste bomb on palates and we had cod with parsnip puree and fried polenta with feta, which was also excellent. I wish we came for dinner and tasted everything on the menu, I recommend the place to fellow foodies. The only negative was that the tables are too close to each other.

i’ve been in this place with my family and we loved it. there aren’t many options in terms of grilled meat and fish, but food is very tasty, the waiters are super nice and the atmosphere will make you feel like home. you’ll find plenty of traditional dishes for all tastes. highly recommended

This restaurant is cozy and serves excellent traditional Greek food — a true little gem! The portions are generous; I had the Clay Pot Baked Moussaka (they also have a vegetarian option, but I went for the classic one) and it was absolutely delicious, definitely worth trying. The Greek salad was also excellent, and for just €0.40 they served warm, delicious pita! The wine we ordered was also excellent. To finish, they offered us some ice cream — the perfect way to end the meal ❤️.

Solid choice for lunch or dinner in Exarcheia. The food was amazing, the ambience was cosy and warm. Loved the disk of appetizers where you can select whatever you want. Nice of them to offer ice cream in the end, which was on the house!

Visited for dinner and ordered via the a la carte menu. The atmosphere is beautiful and the waiting staff were very friendly and as attentive as they should be. Many of the items were great (with the exception of the Greek rib eye which was slightly underwhelming) but they all lacked the wow factor you expect at such a price range. The Spanish beef fillet was amazing and definitely the highlight of the night. All in all, Cookoovaya is a very nice option in the area, but there are far better options at this price range.

The restaurant is definitely in the top 10% of local greek cuisine. Modern approach to excellent ingredients with talented kitchen staff and very good table service. My waitress Anastasia was fabulous, charming and knew the menu. Praises to chef the cuisine- Anna. They have one more new location on an island.

Really dissapointing food. Extremely expensive for what it is. A salad of basically boiled potatoes for €20, the tiniest piece of amberjack fish served with literaly half a zuchini for €38, the driest piece of seabass fish served with barely boiled wild greens for €35. An untasteful joke. The service was great though! The tables near the open kitchen get way too much heat, best avoid.

I'm going this place the benefit of the doubt, it came highly recommended but I wasn't blown away by this meal. The raw fish of the day was so citrusy it was overpowering, I couldn't enjoy the natural flavors of the raw fish or other ingredients, it was just a melange of textures "a la limon." Truly disappointing bc I love a good crudo, and it wasn't cheap. My second dish was was the slow cooked goat, it was juicy and tender, but slightly on the sweet side which isn't my preferred flavor profile but others might enjoy it. The potatoes that accompany it were more like potato chips than fries. The staff was kind, and the restaurant is beautiful, don't know if I will give it another try as its quite pricy. One other thing, I didn't enjoy the style of service here in Athens that I experienced a few times at fine dining restaurants. As soon as you sit down, the waiter appears and, even before you get the menu they ask if you would like a certain item, it feels rushed, the client feels pressured and its s bit sneaky to ask if they want to have something like bread if its a premium product w an upsell without letting them know. I'd give this place a 3.9 if I could but since its not a 3 I'll give it a 4, in my opinion.

This is WHERE to dine in Athens. Love it! Ask for waitress Jonna. She is absolutely a professional. We had the lamb chops and grouper. Both were perfect. We shared the pear tart — oh Wow! We are going back tonight for aged mutton for two.

Overhyped. The wait was over 50 minutes long because they cook on a grill flat top to order. Even with it being fresh off the grill, the beef souvlaki was dry and lacking in flavor. I rarely give bad reviews but it was not worth the wait.

An iconic and historical place with great souvlaki. They open at 10:25am, so google was wrong and we had to wait for a while, but it was totally worth it. The inside is full of pictures of the family, news articles and delicious smell of the food. Definitely worth a visit.

Beautiful decor with a relaxed vibe, and the food was delicious. Wish we were more hungry to try more dishes! We ordered the oven baked lamb, zucchini rolls, and the kebab - all very good, but I think the kebab was our favorite.

5 stars all round. Excellent service, delicious food, and tasteful décor. Thoughtful details like sanitised cutlery show real care. The chicken was tender and perfectly cooked in small cubes. The hand-cut chips were seasoned beautifully. They cater for groups of all sizes, though I recommend booking ahead if you want an outdoor table.

Wow what a great find in Athens! First, the ambiance. It is nice and airy and so beautiful. Next the staff. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. The food was delicious. The cheese was amazing! The squid cooked to perfection and the hummus and dolmas were incredible too. The veggies with peanut butter were so good too and great way to sneak in veggies. Recently stumbled upon this GEM on our honeymoon in Greece and wish we found it sooner. The food was amazing - best we had in all of Greece. Their calamari was to die for. Octopus was also amazing as well as their lamb orzo. The place was very busy and we did not have a reservation. They were able to seat us after waiting a few minutes. The server forgot to bring us water after asking 3 times for it, but we were happy to have a table. Food was worth it!!!

Before coming to Athens I did some research on good restaurants. Ella’s was on my list. So I went there on the first evening. The place is larger than expected. I could easily grab a chair. It has tables on both sides of the building and others inside (on street level and mezzanine). The food was delicious and the service was friendly and fast. With two glasses of wine, tap water, baked chick peas, pita bread, lamb orzo and octopus I ended up paying roughly 60 Euro, which is totally fair for the quality and average level for good places in Athens (to my experience).

First and foremost I would like to thank you for the great hospitality and the laidback atmosphere while serving fantastic food. We visited 3 or 4 times in a short time span, trying as much as we could. I can say hands down that everything we tried was fantastic, from the Giouvetsi, zucchini fritters, baked Feta to the absolutely mouthwatering Black Pork Souvlaki. The smell(and taste of course) of the latter will stick with me for probably a lifetime. Would also like to thank Nodas and the rest of the staff for the great service and conversation. A really nice restaurant that I have visited a couple of times. Staff is very friendly and accomodating and service is fast. The atmosphere is nice be it inside during winter or on the small backyard during summer. They have a varied menu with Greek tastes for meat,fish,vegetarians and they are all superb. Their home-made bread is something that stands out on its own. Prices are ok, do not expect something cheap but nothing overpriced as well, you pay for the quality.

We showed up on the night before they were closing for a 2 week holiday. We didn't have many choices but chose the greek salad, chicken schnitzel and mixed grill. It was so delicious! The service was so kind. When they found out it was my husband's birthday, the brought a candle and spice cake - so nice and delicious.

This was a great location from Hotel Zafolia, a quick 5min walk. A hotel staff member suggest on our first day in Athens. It has a very open feel and was nice to be able to see outside while enjoying dinner and drinks. We ordered the appetizers for two- which was a meal on its own. It had two of everything- Saganaki cheese (2), meat balls (2), pork chops (2), sausages (2), lots of fries, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and olives! I ordered the grilled bass which had great flavor and came with potatoes and boiled veggies. My husband ordered a chicken special that said came with some type of pasta however I think they misunderstood what he wanted and he got chicken kabob with a baked potato. The chicken had amazing flavor and was very tender and juicy. The potato had a bit to much sour cream on it. We were finished the waited brought us each a piece of orange cake. It was very moist with an interesting mouth feel and taste. The prices here are very reasonable and affordable. Overall, we would go again!

It just can’t get better. On every trip I make to Greece I plan one dinner at Papadakis, and every time I leave I feel the same way: that I’ve had dinner at the best restaurant in the country. I always look forward to it and I’ve never been disappointed.

Wonderful dinner spot with a lovely ambience and friendly staff. We particularly enjoyed the aubergine, fava, dolmades, and the grouper; our kids loved the orzo with shrimp. And make sure to try the mastika ice cream as a final sweet finish + pallet cleanser. (One note to the kitchen: I found the Greek salad slightly too salty!) Be sure to book in advance on the weekends.

It was our last evening in Athens and we are so glad we chose Papadakis to end our wonderful holiday in Greece. The service was kind and helpful and they graciously found us a table outside. The food was delicious and perfectly served as we enjoy sharing our dishes .😋Octopus braised in honey; chickpea casserole; orzo with shrimps; fried calamari; orange fondant with chocolate ice cream. Lovely setting in the beautiful suburb of Kolonaki.

The restaurant offers an array of authentic Eastern dishes. It’s a bit of a mixed bag. Some things on the menu were really solid but others were either odd or over cooked. The Kebap meat was really good but the domus sis was dry and a little too charred. The rice was actually the stand out for me, lovely fragrant flavour. I would come back to try other dishes but I wouldn’t say it was the best Eastern food in Athens.

The decoration is simple but the tastes are awesome. The Anadolu has a big variety of Eastern cuisine recipes from quality ingredients.

Everything about Salero we loved from their story to their food. Inside a 1930s old Bauhaus building, it’s beautifully decorated with plants and colors that pop. Conveniently, there’s Wi-Fi and outlets near tables. Clean restrooms are on the second floor where there’s more seating. The food is really good and the portions are very big so plan accordingly. When you sit down, your server brings you their regular menu, their daily specials list, cold water, and warm bread. To feee four of us, we ordered the fried mushrooms, zucchini pie, kale salad, gigante beans, and salmon. We left with bellies full and leftovers. Every dish was tasty! Their house wine is excellent and comes with a generous portion. The peach sangria was sweet just how I like it. Service was excellent- the best we’ve had in Athens. Our server was confident, efficient, an and helpful.

I found this restaurant a few hours before I flew back to London. What a perfect end to an amazing long weekend in Athens! The Carbonara was amazing, and if I had been in Athens longer, I would have gone back. Although I am a wheelchair user, I ate outside so can not comment on accessibility...

Don't let the empty front deceive you, they have a huge covered/cooled terrace at the back where most people eat. The food was great, really good flavours and variety with huge, tasty portion sizes. Great value and the house wine was really good (especially for the price). The surrounding neighborhood is definitely worth an explore, so many great bars and restaurants to choose from!

Very friendly English speaking staff, delicious food. Was difficult to choose. Appetizer: The staff recommended the prawns with almond and spice-sweet Asian sauce and it was very good indeed. The main course: local carbonara with home-made pasta end small pieces of pork with on top cheese and an egg, sunny side up, was also very good! I can also recommend the pork with French fries. For all dishes not much vegetables, but we could have ordered a salad on the side. Very nice garden seats in the back.

Athens, Greece @ 84 Veikou street. 1.2km from the Acropolis museum. Open between 9am - 5pm. 9 seatings. Relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. We opted for breakfast. Vegetarian omelette with feta cheese, peppers, olives and tomato. We received water at the table (no additional charge) and we had cappuccinos and 2 glasses of Prosecco. The food was well presented, delicious and good. The omelette was prepared nicely and not burnt (as I experienced when ordering omelette). The owner, Agapi, and staff, Harianna, was present. The were friendly and helpful and created a friendly environment and good positive atmosphere. Definitely recommend a visit for an enjoyable brunch in a quaint and relaxing environment. Fantastic!!!

Superb restaurant, with super friendly service. The Poffies are a very cool breakfast item, which a portion being six filling pasty balls with filling. We also had a scrambled egg / tomato dish wish was delicious, although maybe a bit underdone. Really enjoyed our visit.

Such a great place for take away or dine in. Everything is made to order, so it will take fifteen minutes to prepare the food. These are similar to arancini - round breading covering a center with various ingredients. I had one order of beef & parmesean for lunch. 6 pieces, nice take away box too eat on the go. My only comment... It came with a sweet thai sauce and I think it would have been better with a tomato sauce. This type of dish is especially known for fruits and chocolate breakfast type options.

Small little place with outdoor seating. Great for breakfast. I had the Poffie egg which is fried egg with bacon on top of their pastry with a small salad. I got double eggs and everything was so flavorful. I also got the Poffie with butter, honey, and cinnamon. It was just the right amount of sweet, these little dough balls are simply amazing. If you are coming from the US don't expect quick service, that's normal so be patient it's worth the wait.

In late July on a very hot first night in Athens, we went to dinner here. We had looked at many menus online and went with Omorfi Polis. It met all of our expectations, and in fact, exceeded them with their thoughtful and attentive service. The food was excellent. The service was outstanding. They placed us at the best table for our family, they made recommendations based on what we liked, and their service was very prompt, while we never felt rushed to leave once we finished our meal. There was a delightful surprise treat (no charge)provided at the end of the meal and they took our boys outside and let them wet their hats in the spray fans in order to stay cool. The atmosphere was wonderfully warm and Greek to celebrate our first night in Athens. The location was perfect, allowing us to check out the flea market streets and shopping both before and after dinner. We highly recommend Omorfi Polis!

If you want to try authentic Greek food, this is your place! They have all the traditional Greek dishes at very reasonable prices and good portions. We tried the spicy feta and Greek salad as a starter and chicken souvlaki and moussaka as a main dish. Everything was juicy and flavorful. Their house wine is worth trying too!

We had a nice experience. I went with my husband and my 3 children. As soon as we entered a waiter came and seated us. He came back, took our drinks and appetizer and drinks came pretty quickly. Then he took our food order. The food was fantastic and flavorful. After we finished eating the waiter came took our dishes and came back with a dessert on the house. The dessert was delicious. All in all the place is highly recommendable and they have a good selection of typical Greek food.

Really great food and service! A nice step change from the other touristy bars and restaurants to be found in this area. The owner runs a tight ship, and the servers are extremely on the ball with everything - we put an empty coke bottle down and it was off the table within seconds. We finished looking at the menu and they were over to take the order within minutes. We never felt rushed, but it was just very attentive and friendly service. And the food was of course delicious, very simple homestyle Greek food. Highly recommended.

Had a quite exquisite experience in this establishment. The moussaka was delectable and the sea bream was cooked perfectly and the nice gentleman waiter fillet the whole fish for me! And after I was finished they had given me free watermelon to cool off!!! Such great service and would recommend/10

What a night! Great music, great food, great service, and if that weren't enough, great cocktails. I know there are many different restaurants and bars in Athens, but there's no other place where they all come together in one place.

What an evening! We were greeted by vinyl soul music and lovely hosts. We enjoyed our evening at the bar in front of the busy grill. Perfectly executed food: we had a wide range of japanese skewers, fresh appetizers and nice cocktails and draught beer. Everything was exeptional. I’ve been to Birdman twice 6 months apart and each one was a true culinary experience. A friend had originally recommended this spot and after our first time, we could not wait to get back to Athens and visit this restaurant once again. Their version of fusion foods are exceptionally prepared and truly delicious. This time we invited our friends and we could not have enough of anything we tasted. We will surely be coming here the next time we visit Athens.

The atmosphere is vibrant yet cozy, the music is great, and the service is spot-on friendly, attentive, and fast. Every dish is packed with flavor; the wagyu skewers and crispy rice are unforgettable! The cocktails are perfectly balanced and beautifully presented. One of the very best spots in Athens. The atmosphere, the people, the music, and the service are outstanding. The food is out of this world: yakitori, nigiri, katsu sando, tataki, tartar, and gyoza are perfection. Cocktails and sake are excellent, and the vibe is always great with top DJs. I come to Athens frequently, and this is the place I never miss. A true must-visit in the city. As a wine lover, my only wish would be for a larger wine list, since everything else is so thoughtfully curated. Special mention to Vasya, who is simply amazing—her warm welcome, professionalism, and ability to organize everything flawlessly make every visit exceptional. Eftechia, with her passion for wine, and Chris at the bar, with his energy and talent, also deserve recognition. And truly, the whole team makes Birdman such an organic, welcoming place where service and hospitality shine every time.

Overcooked & over seasoned. I love yakitori and generally go the best one in whatever city I’m in. The reviews for Birdman, are so good, I was excited to try them out, but It fell well below the hype. The sticks, instead of coming out one by one, came at the same time. So you can’t eat them hot and fresh. The meat was universally really overcooked and stacked in sauces. So instead of complimenting the chicken, it overwhelmed. With so much great grilled meat in the city, it’s a real shame.

An absolute blast! The service was nice, even offered us coffee after out meal. Food was amazing 2nd time going and they outdo themselves! Worth the visit!

Not impressed by their signature dish. The flavour was flat and the meat texture not so pleasant. I had high expectations from this place but I got disappointed. I put 5 stars for the amazing waitress. She was all alone with so many people to handle. They offered some dips on the house. That was the best part of our dinner

Delicious, fast, and well prepared Turkish dishes! Had the kebab and Mushroom dish, both were amazing. Music there was also authentic, no other music attempting to blend in. Felt like I was back in Turkey. Literally the coldest iced draft beers I’ve had in years. Will definitely go here again.

Hidden gem in the Gyzi area, offering Turkish/Kurdish delicious meals. Fantastic service, fair prices and portions offered. We were really happy to finally dine there and will definitely dine there again! 5 out of 5 🌟

Excellent food, and very authentic atmosphere. Waiters are polite, speak English, service is fast. No need for reservation. Food tastes great, portions are big enough and prices are fair. Dinner for two was around 30 eur. There is a Wifi, but there is no parking. We really enjoyed the dinner here, and guys from Leylim ley made our night at Athens perfect. 👍

Delicous place! Perfect option for non animal eaters (Vegeterians). Affordable? Yes!!!! You can easily eat with less than 5 euros. But if you like to have appetizers, entry, and desserts, you will not pay more than 20 euros. Food? Great flavors on the falafel sandwich. I ordered the cheese balls and they were delicous but too heavy for one person to eat ( in my opinion). They are greater if shared. Atmosphere? Right on the sidewalk of a very local neighborhood! I am highly recommending this place. Especially because they love animals as much as I do. Ahh, and their left overs are donated, and they are enviromental friendly! What else can you ask for? As someone from middle east, living abroad, this place vibes and food took me back home. Fresh and clean Falafel wrap, for drink I had the homemade limonada so refreshing in the hot weather. With a comfort outside sitting in a very nice location

I had really wanted to visit this restaurant for a long time for some nice fatteh, but when I finally went yesterday, I was very disappointed. When we arrived, there was only one lady serving all the tables. I understand that it can be overwhelming for one person to handle everything, but either more staff are needed, or the service should at least remain friendly and welcoming under pressure (in the hospitaly business). She didn’t greet us or say hello when we arrived. After we chose a table and sat down, we even started wondering if it was self-service. The lady came a bit later and placed a bottle of water on the table — without glasses — then disappeared. The table still had bits of food on it and flies were hovering around. We asked her if she could clean it because the flies were bothering my baby, and she said something I didn't hear as she walked away. She came back with placemats and menus, placing them directly on the dirty table, with the food scraps and flies still there. After waiting quite a while without any service, we decided to leave. My husband even tried speaking to her in Arabic, but she didn’t respond. To be honest I wasn’t sure if she spoke Greek, Arabic, or English.

Taste of Damascus is an eco-friendly restaurant serving healthy vegetarian Middle Eastern cuisine and offering training and job opportunities to asylum-seekers and refugees. After completing the restaurant training course, students are invited to apply to work at Taste of Damascus. There they receive support to complete the paperwork that is required to hire them. This incentive is created by Za’atar NGO non-profit organization dedicated to helping refugees in Greece. The food at the Taste of Damascus was so delicious, everything we tried was made fresh and beautifully presented. We ordered falafel plate paired with mezzés (hummus, moutabal/aubergine dip, muhammara/spicy dip). We also ordered fatteh. Fatteh is a dish made with crispy bread topped with chickpeas, tahini, yoghurt, lemon and cumin, it is served warm. The restaurant service was excellent and the atmosphere was relaxed and cosy. Highly recommend.

The tabbouleh was all bulgur, it didn’t look like real tabbouleh The staff member was very rude The food didn’t taste like Syrian or Lebanese food at all. We only ate because we were hungry and had already ordered. I asked for hummus but I actually meant fatteh, and you told me it couldn’t be changed. This restaurant might only be suitable for people who don’t know how real Arabic food is supposed to taste. This experience will not be repeated. Of course, I have pictures of how the food looked.

Beautiful family and story behind this restaurant. The atmosphere and the store looks and is pleasing. I enjoyed my lunch here and had good service. You can tell the quality in the food and the love 🙌🏽.

The food was pretty good especially the falafel, which honestly stole the show. The fattah, however, felt like it showed up unprepared for its own performance. As for the staff… let’s just say warmth was not on the menu. Our waitress was so silent and cold, I started wondering if we owed her money in a past life. We received the menus without a single word, not even a basic “hello”..it felt like we were sneaking in to eat for free. Great food potential, but someone please defrost the service!

It says its open online and its closed. Very inconvenient because it wasted mine and my families time walking here when we could’ve gone somewhere else. It doesn’t even have a sign on the door saying when they’ll reopen

Awsome food, the entries were amazing, be sure to try the spicy cheese dip. The mixed meat plate for 2 was huge but delicious, very good meat and the service was amazing.

We tried half the menu and it was absolutely incredible. The owners are very polite and helpful. Dont leave without having the baclava.

I can say the food was excellent. We had one falafel with kebab and one with eggplant, and we were positively surprised by the taste that was balanced and not heavy. The price is so low, maybe due to the location and the clients. It needs to be and look more clean and arrange and clean faster the tables. We will come back for more!

Some food is good, only Falafel is very plain, like frozen ones in grocery store. Returned to try more, but ordering is a mess. I ordered a chicken, a kabob, a hummus. But found out hummus is missing in my bag. Called but with no luck in communication. sadly it’s a disappointing experience. I paid €21 for what is in the picture. I would try the restaurant next door next time.

I was there yesterday and it was the best quality falafel i ever had in athens. The service was amazing, just like the friendly atmosphere of Middle East! The guys deserve every single cent 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼. And the spices were authentic too!!

This place has the BEST wraps in Athens. It is located not in the best area but that does not mean you shouldn't come. If you are a foodie, come here. The highlights from the menu are the chicken straws, the falafel wraps with eggplant(amazing,"falafel pita me melanzana"), you take a bite and you literally have an explosion of flavors in your mouth, it's so good you feel like you are not in Athens, eating their falafel wrap is like travelling+relaxing+feeling at home somehow(I'm italian and as you all know we love food), other great specials are the liver wraps(yummy!). The prices are very good. Cheaper than anywhere else in Athens. The cashier, the staff in general is very welcoming and they are pretty fast. There are few chairs and tables but you won't be able to sit if in a big group because it's usually packed as a place. 100% recommended ! Bare in mind the pics are from another day I visited. Food was so fresh and flavorful. We got the falafel, babaganoush, hummus, and chicken skewers. Falafel and dips were out of this world and the veggies they gave with it were fresh and cut right in front of us. 100% recommend!

Food is 5/5, but the fact that they will scam foreigners and charge them more is a 1/5. We ordered 2 falafel plates, a kebab sandwich, babaganoush (eggplant dip), and a coke. It should have cost 19€, but they instead charged us around 20% more. The falafel plates at 6€ were supposed to come with fries but they didn’t. We asked them for fries, and instead of including this, they then had the audacity to charge us extra for a side of fries. I tried explaining this but they said that this was the price. Unfortunate, but in the future we would ensure everything was provided before eating. Food is good though. Falafel is excellent, moist, and soft. Kebab sandwich is fresh, spiced nicely, and cooked well. Babaganoush is blended nicely and very eggplant forward. And fries are really good quality. If only the payment issue was ok, this would’ve been 5/5.

ok so 1 star cause we can't give any lower. we chose this place according to the good reviews it has. we chose a couple of dishes that looked kind of good on the menu. hummus and sth else. both of them came with a ton of oil, doubtly it was olive oil. then we also ordered a little bit of tomatoe, but we were given a salad. as a side dish they gave us some pita bread, not really tasty and really dry. to add some flavour, we asked for spicy sauce. i mean i am used to spicy and I like spicy, but it was sth else, and it not only made me stomach sick, but Icould feel it the days after.; and it took me a few days to recover. would never go there again and neither do u

Incredible food, friendly service in a vibrant atmosphere. This small restaurant is without question the best we have visited in Athens. The Red Sea bream is incredible and the Yphes salad takes Greek salads to the next level. To finish, crème brûlée with everything - a taste of orange, touches of dark chocolate mousse and home made vanilla ice cream that has something extra in it…. Superb! This restaurant is a must visit.

This place has been my absolute favorite meal of our trip in Athens. It’s in an area with a lot less foot traffic so you feel like you have the whole area to yourself and can get away from it all. The food is absolutely amazing. The salad, bread and mushrooms were my amazing but the sauces and the chicken were mind blowing. Make sure you hit them up!

This place is overpriced for what it is. The food looks pretty and great on Instagram, but not much more. If you're an influencer, go right ahead. If you're a foodie, best avoid. My kale salad arrived drowning in vinegar. The Pirozhki tartare was completely unseasoned. So basically raw beef, a pickle, and egg yolk. The Moussaka dumpling was the best of a bad bunch, however once again while conceptually and visually good, it was severely lacking in the flavour department. The dumpling skins tasted doughy and raw - have they gone to gyoza school, I wonder? It didn't even taste steamed. And the tomato paste used in the sauce tasted like it was still raw and straight out of the can. If the prices were at 5-7 Euro per dish, I wouldn't complain this much, but it was €54.50, including a €12 glass of wine and €4 small bottle of sparkling water! So because of the price and what it was pretending to be (and it was not), it's a solid 2 stars from me.

Last dinner in Athens on Friday night with family aged 11 and 12. Sadly my kids like high end restaurants so this was their favourite. We enjoyed great service, the time to explain the dishes and experience. Good options for vegetarian / pescatarian. Cocktails were delicious. My only complaint was I received Prosecco in a wine glass. Other than that superb.

This was my second visit - I usually go to the sister restaurant Feedέλ Assador, as it's close to me. I know what to expect from these restaurants. Good atmosphere, great service, inspired food and cocktails. On my last visit there was a dish that was sub-par, which was unusual, this time though they got a 7 out of 7 for excellence. You really can't go wrong with any dish, from the soup and salad, to the piroski tartare and the beef cheeks. It's always delicious modern fusion takes on mostly greek dishes. The cocktails are as interesting - find the one that looks more to your style and give it a try. In general, it is probably better to go with a bigger company than 2 so you can try more dishes (the recommendation is 2/person to share, which works quite well - well, plus desert!).

The staff were kind and friendly when introducing us to the restaurant concept and specials on the menu and helpful in assisting us making choices from their extensive menu. The staff were welcoming, quick, and genuinely friendly, adding warmth to the evening from the moment we arrived. We sat outdoors, surrounded by a relaxed crowd and gentle music that added to the atmosphere. The indoor area looked equally inviting, but the patio seating offered a front-row seat to the local buzz of the area. Prices were more than fair for the quality, and the overall vibe was just right—family-friendly, tourist-friendly, and full of character. It was one of those dinners where everything just felt easy and enjoyable. Would we go back? Definitely. It’s a great spot to unwind, try interesting Greek dishes, and soak in Athens at its best. We had an amazing dinner here. Plates are small and designed to share. The server recommended 2-3 plates per person. Everything was delicious. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. He said outside and enjoyed a wonderful evening.

We arrived about 20-25min before our reservation time and were kindly greeted by Theodore, who told us we could sit outside by the church and order drinks while we waited for our table. Although it was a Monday night, it was busy and we overheard them telling people without a reservation that it would take about an hour to get a table, so I recommend making a reservation ahead of time (keep in mind they do call you a couple of hours before to confirm that you're coming). Very nice atmosphere and vibe. It's a sharing concept so the portions are on the smaller side and you order multiple dishes. We were 2 people and ordered 5 dishes (none of which were from the "Big Plates" section of the menu). That was more than enough and we didn't even have room for dessert. The staff was kind and friendly, though the service was a bit slow at times. No big deal, very good overall. The food was good, well made and fresh. We had somewhat high expectations as we came after friends praised their fusion style dishes. I can't say we were impressed, but definitely not disappointed either. We very much enjoyed our evening and would go again, perhaps to the Glyfada unit. (For what it's worth, the person sitting next to us had gone to their Glyfada restaurant twice and was now trying this one). At the end, we were treated with a Mastika digestive shot, which was a nice touch and and a great way to end our evening.

Wonderful chicken gyros with crunchy delicious seasoned fries. The place looks like a tourist trap but it definitely is NOT. The service is fast and the food is really delicious. The staff are nice and helpful even though the place was steaming from the hot weather which will make anyone grumpy.

There was a long line, but it went quickly. The cashier had what appeared to be a meltdown and walked away from the cash register, which slowed everything down. But once we got the food, it was surprisingly good, but the chicken was a little dry. Definitely good value for the cost, however

This location is right around the corner from the Acropolis museum on the walkway strip. The food here is consistently delicious full of flavour and the portions are just right. They have been serving the public for many years and know exactly how to marinate and serve their food properly. I do visit this spot every time I go through Athens and would highly recommend if your from the city or just visiting. The pictures to not do any justice just go and try it and thank me later. We landed in Greece, came right to our hotel and checked in. As we were out exploring we spotted Gyros Pou Gyrevis. There was a large crowd, so we decided to try it. We followed the protocol, placed and paid for our food. While that was being done one of the group was able to get a table (we were lucky!). The gyros and salad were fantastic! Just like we remembered them from the last time we were in Greece. The service was good. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.

Under €4 euros for a gyro when places on the street next door charge you €18. Can’t beat that quick, filling and tasted good. Perfect for a quick pit stop to refuel. Especially before or after an acropolis visit.

We bought two pita gyro (one chicken and one pork) at 2pm. There was a resonable long queue at the cashier so I waited outside for a table to be free while my partner ordered the food. We were lucky to get a table but many customers had to either eat their food standing or go another place. It costed 3.8€ for a pita gyro. It's cheap but you don't get much food and we were still hungry afterwards. In addition, it didn't taste that good as expected. We had tried better ones before.

This is for me personally the best place for a Gyro in Athens city center! The meat is always fresh, and whatever you choose (chicken or pork gyro) you will not ma a mistake! Every time I come to Athens I go there to eat a gyro 🇷🇸🇬🇷

I liked the cultural experience. I read different things about the staff but we had an amazing experience. They were nice and appreciative . It’s only the owner/chef and the helper. You go downstairs, they give you a table, and you wait. They give you food , whatever they make that day. No menus, no options, none of that. Just like a homemade place in which grandpa cooks and you eat what you get. It felt culturally amazing. Simple, and nice. The price is set (15euros a person) including wine and all the food. You get salad, 2 different types of soup, fish, wine and bread. I left stuffed and happy with the experience. (The photo is of my husband and the owner, LOL)

This was one of the best dining experiences we had in Athens. There is a set menu and it’s delicious! Best garbanzo soup I’ve ever had! Everything was so good! The atmosphere feels authentic in a basement with large wine barrels and only a few tables. The chef is an old man cooking in the corner on a tiny stove and grill. Very reasonably priced, especially for the quality and touristy location. Highly recommend!

Was trying for years to visit the place but because we were a large group it was not possible until today. The wait definitely paid off. It's a place run by an 80 year old owner since he was 13!!! The place hosted famous people and not so famous for years. It's a hidden jewel in a nobble basement. The choices are limited but every plate is full of taste and tradition. Tables are limited and if you are lucky enough to find one seize the chance.

A tasty chickpea stew with bread and a glass of wine for €9. No compliants there. I suspect this place is not for most visitors or even locals. The rustic feel is certainly interesting, but it is not a restaurant in the normal sense of the word. no menu, 1 serving of stew is not enough for a lunch, etc etc. Having said that, I don't mind going there again to try whatever the old guy cooks on that day, and I'll then head to the central market nearby to have some seafood ...

Diporto was a unique and memorable stop during my time in Athens. Hidden underground in a graffiti-covered neighborhood, it feels like stepping into an old, authentic Athenian kitchen — no menus, no fancy presentation, just a true local experience. The place has a warm, homey vibe, and the simplicity of it all makes it stand out. They don’t offer many options, but that’s part of the charm — you get what’s cooking that day, and it’s all fresh and traditional. It was actually refreshing to take a break from the usual gyros and heavy, oily dishes you find everywhere else. The food was simple but good, with that homemade taste you can’t fake. It’s a bit on the pricey side considering how modest the setup is, but the experience and atmosphere make it worth a visit. Definitely a spot for those who appreciate authenticity and old-school dining.

I’ve had this placed pinned to go for years and finally made it! I love how discreet it is, the cozy and family run feel. No menu, just what the sweetest papou has cooked up for the day and it was DELICIOUSLY rustic, home style cooking for the soul served along with their own wine.

Amazing atmosphere with great food and excellent service. Beautiful setting with live music on the weekend and traditional dancers. Excellent drinks and reasonable prices. The baklava is delicious, and the orangepie is rich and tasty. A great place to spend an evening.

Went here as an impromptu dinner spot after a lovely welcome from the waiters and were not at all disappointed. The orange juice was fresh and I tried the tomatoes with stuffed rice for the first time - these were cooked so well and full of flavour. The seating was nice outside with some lovely live music as well!

Cozy rooftop with gorgeous view. Sit on the rail by the inside restaurant to hear the live Greek music and see the traditional dancing. The grilled octopus was perfect, and local wine was a great recommendation. They have many tables linking the steps up the hill which is a fun experience to try on our next visit. The tzatziki was excellent and we put it on everything. Great date night spot and worth the drive from Athens to Plaka. Reservations recommended!

I had an awkward experience here. I am a half black half white American, and I’m not sure what exactly it was, but the staff treated me very strangely especially when it was time to pay. It was as if they didn’t think I was going to, because they were hawk eyeing my every move it seemed. Also, some of the patrons would point and murmur and it just felt very uncomfortable. At this point I have been to quite a few bars and restaurants and have never felt like this, and I don’t exactly know what it was about me that made everyone behave so strangely here. On a side note, the life music and the vibe was very nice and interesting, so as a local or someone who looks like a local, you’d likely have a better experience. I wanted to like this place but there were just too many moments where I felt like a zoo animal that I just can’t recommend for others who look like me. The lamb chops were okay but very chewy and not quite as good as other places nearby. Good luck!

We lived our dinner at geros Tou Moria. Food was best and entertainment was so fun. Loved the dancers and the music. Nicolas our server suggested food selections from menu. He made our night unforgettable. Our only regret is that it was our first night and we had been up for 48 hours straight so we couldn’t make it through to the end of the show.

I stayed at The Zillers with a friend a few months ago and we honestly could not recommend the hotel and restaurant highly enough. The dinner and wine pairing were amazing and showcased a variety of elements of Greek culture and cuisine. The staff were incredibly attentive and the view of the acropolis made for a beautiful atmosphere. The hotel staff, however, were the absolute highlight for me. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and maintained excellent communication both before and after our stay. I'll contextualise this statement... upon arriving in Athens from Australia to start a month of euro summer, I was informed that my suitcase had been lost. I received no additional information from the airline and could not get in contact with an airline representative in Greece, Australia, or elsewhere to sort the situation out. We also only had one night in Athens before island hoping. The reception staff at the Zillers took the issue on for me, and continued to communicate with Athens Airport even after I had checked out. The amazing staff managed to get my suitcase back to me a few days later - something I genuinely believe would not have happened without their help. From now on, I will be staying here anytime I go to Athens and I will be recommending this amazing hotel and restaurant to friends and family.

I recently visited Zillers Gastronomy with my two friends, Anna and Marianna, and we all absolutely loved it! From start to finish, the experience was unforgettable. The food was not only delicious but truly special — every plate was beautifully presented and full of incredible flavors. The staff was friendly, professional, and took the time to explain each dish, which made the whole evening even more enjoyable. The breathtaking view of the Acropolis added the perfect touch to an already magical atmosphere. Yes, it’s a bit on the pricey side, but every euro felt worth it for such a unique, once-in-a-lifetime experience. The service, the taste, the view — everything was simply fantastic. It’s easy to see why Ziller's has earned it's Michelin star — it’s completely deserved.

We only dined here, we did not stay here. The service was outstanding. We arrived a few minutes early and were promptly led up the elevator to our table. With there being 4 of us, we had to split into 2 groups for the elevator because it was very small and it had a full mop bucket inside. That was really the only bad thing I can say about our evening. We ordered the smaller tasting menu with wine pairings. The sommelier was very friendly and knowledgeable about the wines. Our server was also very helpful in explaining the dishes. The night was beautiful and we had a great view of the acropolis. The food was devine and beautifully presented. It was very rich however which made me wish we hadn't done this the night before our big flight home!

Restaurant on the rooftop- Michelin rated, spectacular experience. You can choose either the 10-course meal or the 13-course meal. Each dish is beautiful and delicious. The sommelier also recommends pairings that are well-matched while affordable. Great views of the Parthenon at night.

We had dinner at the rooftop restaurant. The view is fantastic and it’s the main interest of this restaurant. We spent 450 € for 2 set menus, one bottle of wine at 90€ and 2 glasses of champagne. The food was well presented and nice, but for this price it was very average and lacked of creativity and lacked of flavor nuances. Apart from the view, I found it very overpriced

My first Michelin star experience and Zillers didn't disappoint. The service was excellent, every dish put on the table in synch, every crumb removed quickly yet not interrupting our experience. We opted for the 12 course meal and honestly not every course is for everyone. The steamed monkfish, cod capaccio, and prawn valley were my favorites as well as every dessert! We really regret we didn't have time the next day to stop by their pastry bar. And the view, what can you say. Eating while watching the sunset on the Acropolis is a once in a lifetime experience.

My husband and I had an amazing dinner at Zillers Rooftop last night. The food presentation was exquisite. Each dish was a work of art, beautiful and even more delicious. The service was impeccable, and the wine tasting was excellent. Well worth the price for a special dinner with a wonderful view of the Acropolis. Highly recommend. Bravo to the chef and staff!

Had the rib eye sandwich which was very good, if a little over done but I like my steak almost blue. In fact they did not ask how I would like it. The sauce and the youghurt and cherry tomatoes also good. Good service too.

This place has very delicious and refined food that is unique. The mushrooms and broccoli are a must and so are the desserts. Uniquely seasoned and beautifully presented plates. The word seems to be spreading in Athens that the owner moved this restaurant to this place because Keramikos might be the the new up-and-coming hip area. And it truely has the feeling as the restaurant was filled to the brim. The staff is really friendly and if you get a table inside it has a calming and relaxing atmosphere while outside it is much busier but nonetheless comfortable. If you visit Keramikos this is a place not to be missed.

One star less for atmosphere because I don't like music to be too loud, so I had a seat outside on a wobbly bench. The waitress went out of her way to translate the whole menu to English and the wines we agreed on were a perfect match for the food. And the food... Just wow. I really want to meet the chef (and marry her maybe?)

Nice cozy place, usually crowded so it would be wise to book a table up front. The food is delicious, big portions, normal priced, not a big variety, but that's what makes all options extremely well prepared! I visited the place on July 6th, 2022, a party of 4. I have longed to eat there for quite some time now so I was really excited when a friend suggested we visited. We ordered: 1) Savoury loukoumades: very tasty and accompanied with a nice sauce. I would prefer them a bit crunchier though 2) Meatballs: this is supposed to be their signature dish and the one I was anticipating the most but it was a bit of a letdown. Not a bad dish but I do not understand what all the hype is about 3) Fried chicken: Fantastic! We asked for seconds 4) Risotto: Another fantastic dish! 5) Fries: As they should be 6) Lentils: This is a bit misleading as the dominant element was rice and not lentils. Tasty but I would prefer it less salty. 7), 8): Both desserts (ekmek and chocolate tart) was very nice. Since we visited the rooftop in Mosaikon hotel, temperature was very nice and we could enjoy our dinner despite a hot July day. Service was attentive and professional. Would visit again and would recommend.

A cult terrace in the down town of Athens, quite near to Monastiraki, hosts this brilliant "project FIX" small gastro-restaurant. After sunset, the view to the illuminated Akropolis is possible from some specific points of this terrace (if it was possible from all points, then the prices ​​would certainly be completely different). We really enjoyed a dinner last Sunday there. I must admit that the team of chefs made sure to satisfy our palates, feeling that everything we tasted was, honestly, value for money. Fresh green "roka" salad with apricot slices, walnuts and vinegrette, Mushrooms' risotto, cooked and flavored with fresh butter, Fluffy grilled minced beef meatballs, accompanying with a masterpiece yogurt cream and tomato dip. Short but very good wine list. We finished our dinner with an excellently executed cool and light dessert: Ekmek with ice cream and that unforgettable mastic cream.
