Athens might have a few “top 50” bars but this definitely meets the expectations. Great cocktails met with tasteful music (can’t say for all the other bars). Would recommend Devils Milk, one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had. Had mixture of 3 cocktails for €30, can’t complain

This shows you what type of business this is and how nonchalant they are - threatening customers for honest reviews. I’m attaching video and photo taken from last night to prove I was there. I have taken proof of the threat and reserve any further rights. Went here because of the Top 50 ranking. The bar is cute and has a throwback vibe with a live DJ. The experience turned south quickly when I got my first highball which was flat, as I observed the bartender use an opened bottle of sparkling water. Who knows how long it’d been sitting there, and for €12 I’d expect a good drink. From there, the waitress in all blue denim outfit took my drink AND my water before I had finished. She was so busy hanging out with her coworkers and drinking behind the bar, I doubt she was fully functional. She was also rude when I told her about my drink, and said she was only responsible for cleaning the table. To get my drink back, I’d need to talk to the server or the bartender. The whole thing took about 20 min to resolve as they kept ignoring me and serving their friends at the bar. I had to flag down a poor server, who finally brought me my drink. The last straw was when they brought me a new highball, this time it was completely flat and so strong with the whiskey that it wasn’t really a cocktail at all.

The cocktails were really good! I had the glass of tears and it was one of the best cocktails I tried in Athens. But sadly, due to being understaffed, the service was horrible. The waitress was kinda rude and you had to beg to order or have the check. I don’t blame her as it was packed on a Friday night and she was the only one taking orders.

Unfortunately, I only remembered to take a photo after finishing my drink :) Overall, the cocktails were delicious. I tried the Delicious Sour and the Anti Novel Margarita. The Anti Novel Margarita was about 4.5/5 for me, while the Delicious Sour was a solid 4/5—maybe because I had higher expectations for it. The atmosphere and the street were beautiful, the bar itself looks great, and the DJ performance was really nice. Recommended!

The cocktails here are pretty good. I like 2/3 of the cocktails I got and my boyfriend also liked 2/3 he got. I would stick to the rum base cocktails. Most of their cocktails are rum based anyways. We also got snacks as well, they weren’t rememberable but not awful.

I think this drink was one of the best cocktails I have ever had! That’s why this place is amongst the best bars in the world! It’s a bit hard to find a nice seat but I guess it worth the wait. Whenever I’m in Athens, I will visit Baba au Rum 🥰

If you are a pyrate, this is the place for you. Greatest rum selection I've ever seen, pretty much covering all South America and more. Went there for some cocktails for our last night in Athens and what a good place to end up! The gents at the bar are just wizards. No surprise the bar is in top 50 bars since 2019 (at least) permanently.

AMAZING! Really reaches the expectations, has a great ambiance, the staff is great and mostly the drinks were amazing. We ended up trying 3 and they were all great. We weren’t going to eat, but we ended up trying the corn balls and WOW!!!! So tender and delicious. Highly recommend the bar.

One of the best cocktail bars I’ve ever been to. Nice atmosphere, very kind staff that don’t mind sharing their knowledge and explaining the drinks and most importantly: amazing drinks. They have a great selection of classic cocktails, but also a lot of very weird mixes that somehow work so so well. Will be returning to this one, for sure!

Such a great cocktail bar! The staff are incredibly friendly and make you feel truly welcome from the moment you arrive. The cocktails are fantastic creative, well-balanced, and beautifully presented. The Metaxa Angel is absolutely brilliant definitely a must-try if you visit! It's the kind of place that's perfect not only for a casual drink with friends but also if you want to explore and try something a bit more special. Highly recommended! 🍸

It was definitely one of the best bars I have ever been in. Amazing staff that knows their stuff, incredible selection of very tasty cocktails. Loved it, went there 2 times in 3 days. Tried multiple different cocktails, loved hippocampus and the one with bergamot and pine. Also the complimentary nuts were very tasty. They definitely know their stuff.

A few days before our trip to Athens I read that The Clumsies was named one of the best cocktail bars in the world. I was very excited to see it was only a few minutes walk from our hotel. The bar is very quaint with fun decor and comfortable seating. We ordered the cocktail flight to share and I got the terra cotta cocktail (sorry, don't recall the actual name) and my wife had the Mediterranean Gimlet which she said was delicious and tastes like a Greek salad. Definitely a must for any travelers that love unique cocktails in a fun setting.

I come to Athens every year and I finally made it to Clumsies. I had the highly awarded Aegean Negroni which was nice. The prices are great considering the award it has achieved as one of the highest rated bars in the world for 2025. For me a place that you come once and then try the many other boutique bars in and around Athens - hundreds of them. Ps not sure why the complimentary peanuts were half full ? Left over from a previous order or they find that’s all you really need? It kinda stood out

Excellent bar-restaurant in a large yard. Great cocktails and very tasty Asian food! Good atmosphere, good music. They also have a club but it was a closed evening so we didn't go in, although it was recommended.

Very large outdoor space, shaded. Was hard to get service sitting inside in a booth. Good food and excellent coffee. They have decaf coffee and almond milk. Order a Greek mountain tea. The chicken tenders were huge and very delicious.

Great place. Food is mostly Asian fusion. Good portions which taste good. Really good atmosphere, music & unique lay out. Better cocktails can be found elsewhere. Nevertheless a must visit place if you’re in Athens.

Absolutely amazing. I love that it is focused on sustainability, the interior is lovely, the little courtyard adorable. Everything we ate was good, the burger, wrap, smoothie was amazing, coffee surprisingly not so great but maybe that's just me. The staff was nice. Loved the place and coming back for sure.

Not the beeest place to come if you’re a tourist looking for authentic Greek food, but they make killer cocktails, the ambiance is amazing, and the food is great (just not suuuper Greek lol). We had the Dog, the artichoke salad, and a green smoothie and everything was very tasty. The wait staff was also very responsive and friendly.

Great place to have your coffee or lunch. There is a garden at the back with trees which makes the experience a nice quiet break, given that you are at the busiest part of Athens. This time I had lunch as well; their cuisine has a middle eastern touch so expect a plethora of spices, which might put of someone who just wants to eat chips with mayo ( my friend's teenage kid). I tried the burger and it was super delicious a bit on the spicy side. Service is a bit slow when you sit down and wish to order (no eye contact and depends on the level of professionalism of the waitress). It is also a super trendy night club with loads of live DJ acts but I personally consider it as my favourite coffee break place when downtown.

A small, down-at-heel approach to the bar masks a trendy but relaxing bar with a huge outdoor shady garden perfect for winding away an afternoon or night. Great, chilled beats in the evening with everyone chatting and everyone having a great time and zero judgement or hassles. By the time night comes it turns into a Peter Pan-esque garden, somewhere you’d want to stay all night. Cocktails were cool and not overly expensive and the food surprisingly good.

Good rooftop bar in the center of Athens. The Acropolis views are spectacular. The food took a bit long to arrive and was nothing special, but the prices are very fair. For a drink this is definitely the place to go!

This is the place where you can comfortably watch the Acropolis. It has a large terrace, and the prices and offerings are average for Athens. The service may be a little slow, but they leave you feeling quite comfortable. Order your drink and enjoy the atmosphere

Great rooftop bar with a view of the Acropolis, great for drinks and has a good value cheeseboard. Would recommend. Cheeseboard can be gluten free without the bread. Good Bloody Mary.

I’ve been to Couleur Locale a few times 3-4 years ago and was always happy about the food and service, however today’s visit was beyond disappointing. I’ll start with the positives: When we arrived at 10:50 for brunch there was only one big group of around 10 people and us (2 people). At the time there was only one waitress but we were immediately served with water and she took our orders. We received our coffees and juice very fast, all 3 very tasty. The waitress was also very nice and the view on Acropolis was too. That’s where the positives end. We ordered our breakfast (toast with fried eggs - first position on the menu) and waited 50 MINUTES for the food to arrive. The place wasn’t that full and noone can tell me that preparing this easy brunch takes that long. Each ingredient of the food tasted good, however the meal altogether was too heavy, too salty and too oily and we weren’t able to finish it as we already felt sick. I think adding more healthy stuff to the whole meal would balance it more. After that we had to wait another 20mins for waitress to notice us wanting to pay. Unfortunately we spent more than 1.5h in that place which to me is too much if most of the time is waiting We definitely won’t be back again

Beautiful view! 😍 I only ordered a Prosecco and they totally forgot about me, so definitely some improvement needed. Wasn’t busy at all, so no clue how that happened. That said, worthy place to grab a quick drink and stare at the acropolis! 🥂

You have to know about this place to find it and yet somehow a lot of people know it! The view of the Acropolis is amazing! The atmosphere is wonderful and although we just had drinks and a cheese platter, it was excellent! The prices are quite reasonable and the view is incredible wherever you sit! Definitely going back!

Stunning views of the Parthenon. Great dj and friendly staff. Amazing craft cocktails. The burger was tasty but a little messy. The club sandwich was the star for both my husband and I. The fries were crispy. We cleared our plates. The service was a bit slow but it was close to sunset and the place was overwhelmed.

Cute little rooftop with chill vibes. I'd say come with a group if you're feeling social. It's fine if you're alone and want some passive socialization. Otherwise, at least, the night I went, the vibe was not conducive to meeting strangers. Entrance is off Salaminos. The doors are open when they are. Take the stairs to the top. Table service. Bill's brought to you shortly after your order. I think food is only available at certain times? I came at a time when there was no kitchen service but a little bowl of flavoured popcorn came with my beer to the table. Bathroom taps have a foot pedal to activate the tap. You'll see them on your way up to the rooftop, they're 1 level below.

Great rooftop bar with an amazing view of the Acropolis. They have lounge chairs and stools all over the terrace with a very chilled vibe. Nice cocktails, I would only give more nibbles with the drinks.

What a magical place! While enjoying the drinks and the view on the Acropolis (which never fails to amaze) there was a movie from 1973 called "The wild planet" running in the background. Probably one of the most unforgettable experiences in Athens.

Proper house music lounge/bar with great drinks and impeccable vibes. The decor is amazing and well thought out and the service is great. The crowd is 28 to 40+ years old. Anyone coming here won’t feel too old or out of place. The place can get quite crowded at some point.

The atmosphere is immaculate. It was pirate-themed, with splendid interior design. The cocktails fitted the bar so well, and were delicous. The waiters were kind and quick, so we didn’t have to wait to order. There was also a dj, which made our overall experience amazing!

A fun and funky place with great cocktails and friendly staff. Only thing to note as a tourist is they allow smoking inside, which can get a bit overwhelming if you’re sensitive to that like I am. Will be back!

I really liked the interior of 7 Jokers. The coffee was very good, as was the service. It was quiet when I arrived, but the background music created some atmosphere. I imagine it can get quite busy here in the evenings once the drinking commences!

The bar was almost empty. After finishing our first drink, we wanted to order another. The lady who served us pretended not to see us. She was chatting with her friends at the other table or using her mobile phone. After waiting for forty minutes, we left.

Went for cocktails with some friends the other night and as the good reviews suggest, they do make a good drink. It’s small and cosy inside, nothing crazy but a good place for casual drinks. My one issue was that I wanted something that was on the menu (evros) but not with the coffee infused Campari- I wanted the same exact thing, but with regular Campari. Tell me why the evros is €12 on the menu, but me ordering something slightly more basic, got charged €15? I didn’t even question it cause at this point in my trip to Greece, I was burnt out from questioning all the suspicious charges on my restaurant/bar bills.

Ordered the Heartbeat and my goodness, it packed a punch! At 10 euros I think it’s v worthwhile 👍🏼 Loved the balance of the flavours and the space is cosy enough. I came here as a single female and I felt comfortable enough :)

Really close to Syntagma Square. One of the best and most beautiful Coctail bars in the area maybe the best. Difficult to find some space inside on Saturday but we went on Wednesday and it was super. The girl behind the bar is a pro. Awesome music also. Will go again and again.

Fantastic wine bar in Athens, we came back two days in a row because we loved it. We tried both of the Spritz which were great and on our second visit we shared a bottle of wine which was recommended to us, which was delicious. The staff were fantastic on both occasions, super friendly and helpful! Wish I had a wine bar like this near where I live in Australia.

The decor was the best part about Tiki Bar Athens. We each had a cocktail and they were good (I had a Paloma and my husband had a Mai tai) but nothing special. The complimentary popcorn as a bar snack was a nice touch. Service was slow though so I went to order the drinks at the bar myself and even ask for the bill when we were ready because the wait staff was nowhere in sight.

Tiki Bar Athens is an absolute hidden gem! The atmosphere is so fun and unique, and the drinks are incredible – some of the best cocktails I’ve ever had. The food was just as amazing – especially the tacos, which were packed with flavor and absolutely delicious. Such a cool spot to discover in Athens, and I’ll definitely be recommending it to anyone visiting the city!

We had this added as a place to grab a drink while visiting Athens. When we went we got some food as well as we hadn't had dinner. Wasn't expecting much but the chicken burger was one of the best we've ever had! We had the zombie cocktail which was really strong and really nice! Only place we went to twice as we had to go back for the food and drink!

After enjoying the ancient monuments in the Acropolis area, we decided to have dinner at City ZEN All Day Bar Restaurant. The reason we chose this place was that an older gentleman at the entrance warmly greeted us earlier in the day, so we went upstairs to make a dinner reservation and requested outdoor seating to enjoy the view of the Acropolis as it lit up from sunset to night. However, we noticed that the staff repeatedly emphasized the 25-euro minimum spend per person when we were ordering. While we didn’t mind, we observed that other tables seemed to only order a beer and leave, which made us wonder if there was some form of differential treatment. Additionally, we asked a female server for forks three times, and although she said she would bring them, they never arrived. Despite these service issues, we were satisfied with the food and ambiance. The price was reasonable, and the sunset and night views were stunning. It made for a very enjoyable evening with family on our first day in Athens.

City Zen is located in the heart of Plaka. As a rooftop spot, it can be a bit tricky to find, but it's absolutely worth the effort. the servers are really nice and very helpful and the place is gorgeous but the food is just really not it. it was just incredibly boring and overpriced. the pasta with chicken tasted like something you would feed a 3 year old with just pure cream and nothing else. and the chicken was so dry and tasteless. most of the other food was very sad as well and the greeksalat had feta with vanilla in it?? weird experience but i’d say if you are just here for drinks it would be really good since the view if just perfect.

What a rip-off! We went there for a quick break, but the experience was disappointing from start to finish. First, we chose a rooftop table and politely asked if they could open the umbrella so we wouldn’t sit directly under the sun while enjoying the Acropolis view. The staff flatly refused — with no real explanation, just “we can’t do that.” So we moved downstairs instead, but the service didn’t get any better. The waiter ignored us for about 20 minutes before finally taking our order — and it wasn’t even busy. The table next to us, who arrived later, had already received their food before our order was even taken. To make things worse, it seemed like the waiter was more interested in chatting up that table (which happened to be all girls) than actually serving customers. After repeating our order several times, he still managed to get it wrong. And when the bill came, it was confusing and looked suspiciously off — even after asking twice for clarification, it still didn’t add up. There are plenty of better places nearby with honest pricing and decent service. No wonder this place was almost empty. Definitely not recommended.

We chose this restaurant primarily for its beautiful views. From the reservation stage onward, the staff were courteous and helpful. The waitstaff were exceptionally attentive, anticipating even the subtlest needs, and the service throughout was truly world-class, greatly enhancing our dining experience. We enjoyed it so much that we returned to the same table the following day and were delighted to be served by the same attentive gentleman, whose recommendations - including excellent cocktails - were much appreciated. The food was flavorful and well prepared, with generous portions, particularly the desserts. Spending our final evening in Athens here was a pleasure. Thank you!

Phenomenal. Kind and knowledgeable staff. Amazing freddo. One of the best coffees I've ever had. They also freeze servings of their single origins, which I haven't seen before in my travels, and greatly appreciated the dedication to the craft. Closest I'll more than likely ever come to having coffee that fresh. A must visit for enthusiasts.

They give you 3 different cups to experience the smell, taste, and body of the coffee. Many, many different beans to choose from, especially for espressos. I got the hand drip (filter coffee, V60, pour over) and it was expertly crafted to draw out the flavour of the single origin beans.

Wonderful place with some of the best coffee I've ever had. The cinnamon roll was also incredible! They have a great offer of coffee (beans and already grinded) and I even brought one bag of coffee beans - with a great assistance from the owner (I assume) - to try at home and I shouldn't have, because it was amazing and now I can't have any more!

Just received has a gift from a bag of premium geisha beans. What was supposed to be a wonderfully fruity, sweet and complex cup of filter coffe, very quickly became a bitter disappointment. As soon as opening the bag you can see just how rough is the roast on that lot, absurdly uneven roast with a lot of way too light and developed beans and plenty of much darker that preferred for this kind of coffee. Gave it a try a couple of times, traying to maximize the situation by technique and brewing parameters chance... But unfortunately the roast is awful and the beans went to the "cold brew beans"... What a waste for 30€ for 150gr of beans... Those poor poor beans...

The Bloody Mary was a big disappointment. It was too salty and the tomato juice was a very basic variety. It was a busy night but more attention from the staff would have been appreciated. At this level a bit more care from the bartender is required.

I must say that i was a bit on a rush to find a place to have a quick lunch before going back to the conference and it turns out that i found this awesome gem. The service was quick and impeccable, allowing me to enjoy the time left into eating peacefully. From sitting to getting food at the table in less than 10 minutes. Also, the location, space and vibe is really jazzy and relaxing making it really enjoyable. If you are in the area don't think twice and eat a truffle burger, delicious 🤤

I mean this when I say this, this food is TOP TIER. As an aussie, it’s hard to find good eggs in Greece, but this was next level. The yoghurt bowl too. Absolutely incredible! Courtyard vibe is so cool too

A unique place in a typical “old Athenian neighbourhood” building, the owners have kept many of its original architectural features and made it even better! The service is great, the quality is even better! If you visit the historical industrial district of Athens or Keramikos’ ancient cemetery, this is a must place for a coffee, brunch or even a drink at night! In a walking distance from Keramikos metro station (blue line) and Petralona electric railway station (green line)!

What a lovely place hidden well in the centre of Athens! The service was excellent, the food interesting and nicely presented and the decor unique. Definitely will come again.

I was there in September and Epopa had the catering for a convention at a nearby building . Coffee & food was of excellent quality and the staff efficient and friendly. It was served at a picturesque alley that looked like a real old yard.I can not commend on the drinks, since it was a morning function.

The restaurant is well dedigned in an elegant way and is hidden from the overall "beauty" of the surroundings. I went there for a business dinner but I dont think there would be much difference if it was privately. Went there @18.30 and left @22.30 having just finished the dessert. There were long waiting times even for a beer (not all of the to be fair) - we had the food around 21.00 although we didnt delay the order. The steak (veal) was well cooked but nothing special in terms of taste. Salad was better. Pinsa good but rather small. Dessert was interesting but only the pastry, sorbet chocolate so and so. Overall I dont believe it was worth the price the company paid and I would most probably wouldn't choose it myself again. Variety of beers was reduced as opposed to wines, but since we didnt opt for wine I cannot say anything.

Amazing. Been to many wine bars around the globe and this might be my new favorite. Everyone so fun and helpful, really awesome selection of Greek wines. Couldn’t recommend enough.

What a gorgeous building this is in, really adds to the atmosphere! We were there on a quiet Monday lunchtime to wait out some poor weather, and lucky to have the owner choose some glasses of wine for us from the very very extensive menu. Really great wines and service. Had a light bite from the menu, very high end delicious cooking with some vegan/veggie options. Definitely recommend this place.

We stopped here for a glass of wine after just arriving in Athens. It’s a beautiful building, and there’s a huge choice of wines. It was also nice and quiet. The lady who served us was lovely, welcoming and very knowledgable of Greek wines. She also taught us some Greek words. Shame we didn’t have time to go back for another glass to say goodbye when we left the city. Thank you!!

Made a booking for 4 inside without issues. Arrived and got sat outside in the hallway - slightly annoying but at least the staff apologised for the change of plans. Ordered from a comprehensive wine list and everyone was satisfied. Got a really nice beef tartare, the chicken was alright and the dishes generally satisfactory with the exception of the aubergine that was a let down, the various purees really didn't mix well. Service was great, the staff attentive, quick and polite. Fairly expensive, justified mostly by the service and the location. Decent option but there's a lot of good alternatives in the city centre to better cater to someone's tastes.

I’ve been coming to this place since it opened. Fantastic brunch spot by day, the perfect bar by night. Most unusual and unique craft cocktails that are delicious and worth experimenting. Brunch foods are so fresh and tasty.

I came quite early (5pm) so fewer people were there. The setting is pleasant,in traditional art gallery. I really like the DJ style because it fits the place. The cocktails shown are the Alexander and delusional margarita. Both were great.

You know, no 6 in cocktail bar ranking in 2024, so it's what should you expect. Cocktails are mind blowing. Some I had to take a bit to process and understand. Finished up stong with the dry vermouth done there. Amazing alchemy lab they have in the back. Food ... I would go for smaller portions. Good but not quite there with the cocktails. All in all, great experience. Will go again when in Athens.

Au Revoir Bar was exactly what we were looking for in our neighborhood. It was well designed and the server was kind and attentive. The soft background music and vibe were excellent. I can't comment on the food, since we did not order any but the drinks were good. It was totally our style!

This modern, casual wine bar ... that is located on a pedestrian road in the Athens, Pagrati neighbourhood ... is a real oasis for wine & food lovers that I'm happy to recommend!👍😊 Here, apart from serving wine and food, the place has a well stocked wine shop and two underground wine cellars with a good selection of Greek and international wines ... that I really enjoyed visiting with Vassiliki; a staff member who was a real pro and shared her knowledge & expertise with me and another friend . . . in a truly pleasant manner. 😊👍 There were lots of tempting wines to taste and with Vassiliki's guidance we opted for four different wines that we paired with some carefylly crafted & tasty simple dishes from their trendy menu. 👍😋👍 On another summer evening ... we opted for a truly pleasant chilled Chenin Blanc served with 2 different cheeses (Graviera from the island of Kasos & delish Saint Michael) + the Almira salad that I really like! 👍😋👍😋 Definitely going back soon. 😊😉😊

The place is nice, close to Mesologgiou square and the wine list is ok, although you expect more from a wine bar. Personnel is super friendly. The food was bad though.

Really great location (central, safe, quiet) and the staff were super friendly. The rooftop bar is immaculate with a great view and amazing food/drinks. The rooms are cleaned daily and are quite nice. The only issue we had which was super manageable was that the drain in the bathroom was emitting a smell. We were able to open the bathroom window and air it out. I definitely recommend this place.

We stayed here for two nights. The staff were very helpful. Check in was super smooth and easy. The room we had was small but quaint. We had enough space for our luggage. Very clean and comfortable. We had the view of the church and it was beautiful to see in the day and night. The rooftop is also a beautiful spot to visit. We would go up during the day and night to enjoy the view. A lot of restaurants nearby. A grocery store just downstairs. Another plus is that if you are a guest at the hotel you can get 10% off on your order from the restaurant downstairs.

I booked a table on the rooftop as had been recommended by friends. Cocktails were fabulous and the perfect sunset view of the Acropolis. Food was good but not exceptional and sadly spoiled for me by the number of smokers around us. I thus would definitely go back for cocktails as there was a great atmosphere and the view was fabulous. I would eat in the downstairs restaurant or elsewhere.

The roof top restaurante offers amazing views of the Acropolis, perfect for a relaxed breakfast. The food was good and well prepared, but the highlight was the service. The staff were extremely friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which made the experience even better. A great place to start the day with good food and an even better atmosphere.

Stayed here one night and it was great. Super comfortable rooms and bed. The roof top bar was great and prices weren’t crazy. Amazing view of the acropolis. Only slight issue is the spiral staircase to the roof, my parents struggled with that. Wish the elevator went all the way to the top. Also the view is a little blocked from the back seats which is a shame.

recently visited Ciel Restaurant in Athens, and unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. I ordered the risotto, and it was honestly one of the worst dishes I’ve ever had. The texture was completely off mushy and raw,The flavor was bland and unbalanced. For a restaurant that presents itself as a high-end dining spot, I expected much better quality and attention to detail. I had been looking forward to a nice meal, but instead, it was a major disappointment. I rarely write negative reviews, but I think it’s important to share honest feedback. I truly hope the restaurant takes this as a chance to improve, especially when it comes to their risotto and overall food quality.

For a rooftop bar, it did what needed to be done. I ordered the Mastiha cocktail and it wasn’t strong and very sweet. If you love sweet cocktails, it will work for you. Service is decent and I didn’t need a reservation to get in. You will also get really great views of the Acropolis and the sunset unobstructed.

It’s our first day in Athens! If a drink cost $17 Euro Drinks then the service needs to also be up to that level $17. We spend $40 Euro for three drinks. My drink was just juice $8 Euro for a glass full of ice and a little juice Really? I don’t drink alcohol so this was well not what I expected. The waitress was not great, she spend most of her time on her cell phone, never once came to check on us, do you need more drinks, ask us if we needed anything? I had to keep asking her for things, raising my hand asking for things more pop corn, another cherry, a glass of ice for the water. This is a tourist spot not one locals so you are our first impression. The view is spectacular, Go for the view and enjoy it but just ask for a different waitress. The blonde young lady who took my photos was awesome we should have tipped her instead. $40 for drinks! Atleast come ask us if we want another drink, a piece of bread or something. But the View was worth it.

Wonderful view of the city, drinks are good but a little pricey for the area. A Coke is 5.50 and an Arizona iced tea is 7 euros but a beer is 8. Mixed drinks are 14-22. We are a group of 8 with one under 18 and they were quick to tell us everyone in the party needed to order something. A little petty considering our bill would be over 100 euros with the rest of us ordering.

It was nice, with a great view of the acropolis. Reaching the place can be a bit confusing - just go into the building google indicates and then take the elevator to the top floor - after that you still have to climb a set of stairs to reach the rooftop though! The service itself was ok but I thought it could have been better, especially when it started raining and I wasn't sure where to move. Ordered Gemista and some salad, the gemista was a bit cold.

Read about this place prior to visiting Athens so I was really excited to find it. We sat at the bar and read the drink menu then we sat and continued to sit. Despite having 3 servers who appeared available, not one of them spoke to us, or even acknowledged we were there. After receiving zero service we left and will not be back.

Brettos is one of Athens finest Establishments. My family and I have been coming to Greece for close to 3 decades and I've always recommended and will continue to recommend Brettos as one of if not the best wine bars there. The snacks they provide are always delicious, not full meals but definitely a brilliant parking to any of the beverages you can try. The Service is always absolutely incredible with the staff being friendly and helpful always trying to make the experience as pleasant as possible. If you haven't been in person yet - GO!!! The atmosphere is one of the best out of any of the options that Athens has to offer. The multi coloured bottles with lights around the exterior facade of the bar give it it's signature look. I'll be back without a doubt and additionally keep on recommending. Keep up the fantastic work Ladies and Gents.

One of the pinnacle bars of Athens. Fairly extensive drinks menu, but they will mix up most, if not any, drinks you ask for. Its small and intimate, yet has a great atmosphere. Staff are friendly, and were keen to give recommendations of what to drink. Open late, so its a great place to end an evening. For people from the UK, it was also featured on Richard Ayoade's '48 Hours in...' travel series, where he visited Brettos with Dawn French. Thoroughly recommended.

A whiskey bar that has one of the largest collections of whiskey that my husband has ever seen! He was very impressed with the menu and got to try some whiskeys that he hadn’t even known about. I’m not into whiskey but I do enjoy cocktails so I had the bees knees which was made perfectly. The service was great, as we finished the bartender took us downstairs where they stored even more of their rare whiskies which the men were very excited about. Highly recommend for whiskey lovers in Athens 🥃

One of the nicest bars I've been to in Athens with great background music. Inside the decor is cozy, warm & inviting ... whereas outside it feels more like a street cafe that is ideal for warm autumn days & evenings with a bit of a breeze! The whiskey selection is outstanding and there are plenty of other drinks and cocktails on offer ... as well as snacks, cheese and cold cut plates ... for all tastes! My hubby tried the mini burger with his whiskey which he said was tops and I enjoyed a glass of red wine with freshly roasted nuts. The prices are reasonable for the quality and truly friendly service! We are definitely going back really soon.

Quantity and quality are good. There are so many different types of whiskey in the menu that it can take hours for you to order. The servers are very polite and well trained. I totally recomend it.

Nice jazz bar in the quiet part of Kolonaki. Mistakenly, I went there expecting to enjoy some live music -- the place is what is says it is, a bar, perfectly styled for the Jazz with some nice music playing and a good selection of well-made cocktails available. On the night I visited, the place was crowded mostly with locals, so I assume the bar is well-liked among those who know how to avoid tourist traps of Athens. Great music! Great team running the place! Tight seating which is a feature here. Pleasant drinks with rare choices (loved the chartreuse). A tad on the expensive side though but remember this is Kolonaki. Love the no smoking indoors rule. Absolutely recommended!

I discovered Kyrios last night with my friends. I love the atmosphere there, it really is a traditional bar with nice music ranging from jazz to funk. Drinks were tasty, even though I did not like the thing that we were only served salted olives as a sider.

Visited in their capacity as bar and not as a restaurant. The negroni I had was great. Bitter and stout, simply wonderful. After work on a workday, it has a chill, relaxed mood. The service is great, the staff wonderful.

This is a trendy place for drinks (haven't tried the food). Good ambiance, friendly stuff. A bit boring music for my taste. Easily accessible with metro (blue line- between the stations Megaron Mousikis and Ampelokipi). I wouldn't recommend taking your car because finding a parking space in the neighborhood is like looking for the holy grail! :P

The restaurant has a beautiful setting with stunning views of the Acropolis and a modern, elegant interior. Unfortunately, the service didn’t match the atmosphere. It was slow and disorganized throughout the meal. I specifically ordered a lamb dish and clearly mentioned no pork due to dietary restrictions, but it still came with pork sausage on the side. They did correct the mistake, but it took over 20 minutes to bring a new plate. The food itself was okay — fresh but not particularly special or memorable. Given the high-end setting, I expected better execution and more attentive service. A decent experience overall, but not one I’d be in a rush to repeat. I don’t recommend it.

Service was a 10/10. Staff were amazing, kind and very knowledgeable. However, you’re paying for the view here and/or you’re looking for an extensive wine collection. Cocktails are good but extremely overpriced. Spritz are $27. Our Greek salad was the same as anything on the street but ran us $26 with far less feta. Saddle of Lamb was extremely minimal for $50 and the Tagliatelle tasted just greasy. $20 for water is outrageous as well. We were so excited for this place and told at check in to make a reservation instantly. Wish we ate around town once more and passed on this.

The food was phenomenal, the staff were so kind and attentive. Sofia was our server and she was very pleasant. The burrata was amazing, as was the ravioli. The view of the Parthenon at night was stunning. Definitely worth a visit, but recommend making a reservation!

The GB roof garden was a great place to enjoy dinner with the best view of Athens. Request a table by the terrace and you will be able to see the Acropolis, Parthenon, Erechteion, the Panathenaic Stadium and the Presidential Palace. The staff were very friendly. They didn’t rush as at all. We enjoyed an appetitive and then dinner. There were vegetarian options. I highly recommend the burratta with peach and the ravioli. The desserts were good too, we liked the tiramisu. The servers took some time to get our food order after the aperitivo but they gave us the desserts as a courtesy for the delay. All in all a great experience that I can recommend for a romantic dinner to see the sunset.

It is a luxurious rooftop experience situated inside a luxury hotel. The staff service is top notch. The prices are high but it is expected for fancy hotel with a gorgeous panoramic view of the city including views to Acropolis, Syntagma square and Panathenaic stadium.

I visited A Little Taste of Home on my first night in Athens, having been recommended a visit. The restaurant is on a bustling street, and offers both indoor and outdoor seating, depending on what you prefer. After being warmly welcomed, we sat down and explored the menu. To start, my husband and I shared some fabulous meatballs. They were delicious and a very hearty portion, too. For my main course, I opted for a ‘Euphoria’ salad, a combination of smoked chicken, Gorgonzola, and strawberries—which sounded intriguing. It wasn’t something I’d had before, but the combination worked, and it was delicious. The service was very friendly and attentive, and overall we had a great meal. I would definitely recommend a visit.

Easy to access Food: salad is great. Meat balls tastes good but a bit too dry. Beef ribs are so tender but it would be nice if it’s more juicy. Now it’s good to eat with the delicious mashed photos Staff are so friendly, helpful and polite. They introduced every dishes with passion.

Wow. This place was incredible. Specifically came here for the lamb, but everything else tasted amazing. The fried cheese with a pomegranate and lime jelly was an amazing flavor combination; the shrimp with rice was also very flavorful. Above all, the service went above and beyond. I would highly recommend it.

People don't have to watch or read reviews, just sit and enjoy because whatever you order, you will eat perfect food as if you had prepared it at home. So this is a really perfect place with perfect food and service. And five stars is too little for this place, and all praise for the waiter Niko who really tries his best to explain and explain everything to each guest.

We were BLOWN AWAY by our experience at this restaurant last night. The food, the customer service, the entire experience was nothing short of perfection! We had the lamb in the oven, pork short rib and the shrimp giouveti and all were INCREDIBLE! (See photos!) Special mention to Julia, the hostess, who was so friendly and accommodating 🥰🙏🏼 Overall, this was one of the best meals we had in Athens 🙌🏼 hands down.

High end bar offering creative and sophisticated cocktails with flavor twists. Beautiful interior that mesmerizes you and makes the setting perfectly comfortable for a night out with your friends. Offering a vast list of signatures drinks, the drinks, while tasty, are pricey compared to other bars in the nearby area. Regardless, it’s worth a visit for the ambiance, music and creative cocktails they offer that you won’t find anywhere else. My visit was during the weekend daytime which offered plenty of seating. However, at night, I’m sure it is plenty busy!

Noel was on our radar as a cocktail bar until we walked by it during the lunch hour and people were inside. We changed our original lunch plans to dine at Noel and didn't regret it. To eat, we ordered pork gyros and the cheese pizza for our eight-year-old daughter. Everything was delicious! The gyros don't come with sauce or tzatziki, but it didn't need it. The meat was perfectly flavored and paired well with the bread and onions. To drink, I ordered one of their more sweet cocktails with a berry garnish. It was refreshing!

We found this place on accident, but the decor looked intriguing. Inside it was whimsical and stunning! Visited Black Duck for brunch. Amazing atmosphere, especially if you sit inside. The food was not bad but not excellent either. Service was not so good; we had a hard time getting the server’s attention to order and pay.

This place is a gem, I had hours to kill before my flight, they let me put my guitar, suitcase, and bag in their office while I ate, drank coffee and waited. Food was amazing, coffee was too, and the service was perfect. The courtyard was great, tons of plants and very serene. Highly recommend

Stopped because the place looked promising. We had one quick drink and stayed for about 20 minutes. The waiter visibly cracked it when we politely declined to leave a tip. I’ve travelled extensively across Greece, speak the language, and have visited everything from high end venues to humble family run tavernas. Never have I encountered such rude, entitled behaviour. This wasn’t just awkward, it was absolutely disgusting. Hospitality is supposed to be a cornerstone of Greek culture, and Kukos completely missed the mark. There are far better spots in Athens that don’t treat you like a walking wallet.

This is the place where we enjoyed a delicious dinner with a stunning view of the Parthenon and the city of Athens. Although the terrace was closed during our visit in December, it didn't affect the view at all. Thanks to what seemed like special glass, the Parthenon appeared magnified, as if it were right in front of us. The Greek salad we ordered was absolutely delicious - the cheese and dressing were exceptional. The steak was incredibly tender, melting in our mouths, and the sauce was excellent. The squid pasta was unbelievably tasty as well. We thoroughly enjoyed the dessert too. The service from the staff was flawless. I highly recommend making a reservation in advance.

Perfect place for dinner in Athens. I had a reservation, and I asked them on spot to change my table because I wanted a better view and they immediately did. Honestly we were only there for drinks and snacked on some delicious nuts. The view of the Acropolis is one of the best in the city. Deck is small. And there are birds. But added to the atmosphere. Drinks are pricey, so be prepared to pay up.

Dining at Electra’s Rooftop Restaurant was an elegant and unforgettable experience. From the moment we were seated, our lovely server , who we later learned is the head waitress ,made the evening exceptional with her thoughtful recommendations and genuine warmth. Breathtaking view, disappointing service. We were excited to dine at Metropolis Roof Garden and arrived without a reservation, hoping for availability. The hostess was absolutely lovely and managed to seat us at a beautiful table with a perfect, unobstructed view of the Acropolis. The setting was incredibly romantic and upscale, and the food and drinks were both delicious. Unfortunately, the service completely missed the mark. Our server took our full order at the beginning and then never returned to check on us—not once. Both of our drinks were empty well before our entrees arrived, and we were never asked if we wanted another round. Water was being poured by staff, but they kept confusing our still and sparkling, which affected the taste. To make matters worse, staff attending nearby tables were frequently dropping things and making a lot of noise, which disrupted the otherwise elegant atmosphere. For a restaurant that presents itself as fine dining, the service was shockingly inattentive. We felt ignored, and it left us wondering if it was due to being American tourists or a gay couple—either way, it’s unacceptable. We won’t be returning and cannot recommend this place, especially at this price point.

Great place with good food, good drinks (very interesting cocktails!) and the best view onto the Akropolis. Especially at night the view is crazy and they even have a DJ playing so the atmosphere is awesome. Giorgos Z was really nice and caring. Sometimes we just had to wait a bit until someone came to order but guess that's because of the many guests.

The cocktails we had here were delicious and the views are spectacular, city and Acropolis and ruins. The food was rather disappointing though. Beef carpaccio wasn't good at all and the bread was nothing noteworthy. They'll charge you extra if you make the mistake of ordering butter 😂 stick with olive oil. Service is good and the ambiance is really great.

Prices are very reasonable for the quality. Staff were nice and accommodating. A worthy visit for a premium cocktail. Highly recommend trying the Maimou (Rum, Passion Fruit, Coconut, Lime and Vanilla Bitters) - it’s so good, i got a second to go.

Definitely get the rice it’s very good and taste like home comfort food. The pide and lahmacun wrap were ok. Trying to be a bit different with the flavours but the bread wasn’t so soft or fluffy and a little dry so I wouldn’t say it’s the best pide I’ve had. Dessert was great though.

A while ago my friend told me that if I ever go to Athens, Greece I must go to Fayrouz Restaurant and taste their Lebanese food, It is really delicious. Finally traveled to Athens and remembered his advice so I went to Fayrouz Restaurant to taste their food. They welcomed me and asked me how I knew about this restaurant. After that, the owner of the restaurant welcomed me very warmly and she was very nice.I ordered a Sultans Nest and Peinirli Pastourma both were delicious, The restaurant was small but very nice and located in the corner of the building and the other corner is the Feyrouz Coffee Shop for the same owner, I enjoyed the food and highly recommend.

What an experience! A true display of hospitality is within these walls. Vaulted ceilings, vibrant patio, vaulted wine room. Many many wines available by the glass, and so much more available by the bottle if you seek them out. Lamprini is an absolute gem, and was a joy to see both of our visits. More than accommodating, she made a lasting impression on us. The wine selection is well curated from choice selections across the world. Served in proper stemware and with care. Very disappointing experience. We ordered two wines from the “Fine Wine” selection, and both were poured from the end of the bottle. One of them was completely full of cork residue. The bartender didn’t ask if it was acceptable, as is usually done, and didn’t even apologize when I showed him the glass full of cork pieces. For a place that presents itself as a professional wine bar, this level of service and attention to detail is unacceptable. I would avoid.

Fantastic! One of the two best meals we had in Greece! I enjoyed the chicken and penn pasta, and my wife enjoyed the slow cooked chicken fillet. We shared the beet appetizer which was wonderful. We stopped by this rooftop bar just for a drink before dinner. You get an amazing view to Acropolis and there was a good vibe on this rootop bar where people were eating and drinking. A great place to stop by if you want to catch a refreshing drink before heading out to dinner.

The rooftop has a nice setting and amazingviews, but the experience was disappointing. The cocktails tasted pre-made and lacked freshness. The gin and tonic was served fully prepared at the table, including the tonic, which made it seem like they used old tonic without bubbles or something from a box. The cosmopolitan tasted only like grenadine and nothing else. Service was slow. No one checked on our table, and we had to call the staff several times before they took our order or brought new drinks. The food was fine but not worth the price. Plates were well presented, but the flavors were average. For the location and cost, I expected much better quality and attention to detail.

The view is amazing, the food and the service is average. Please reserve a table at least week before. In november it is a bit chilly outside, so we asked for a pillow for the seat, because they don't have it. The portion is a bit small for the price.

Warehouse Wine Bar is a fantastic spot for wine lovers and those looking for a great night out. The service was excellent—friendly, knowledgeable staff who made great recommendations. We tried a Riesling, which was beautifully balanced and paired well with the food. Speaking of food, everything we ordered was well-prepared and flavorful. An all-day cafe with some super tasty comfort food. Comes with indoor and heated outdoor space, serves great food and wine to match, has reasonable prices, and is good for any time of the day. Once introduced to it, this place is my go-to for a pit stop while in the city center. As this place offers great value for money food/drinks/service it tends to be packed most hours of the day, so if you want to get your spot secured do make a reservation.

I was impressed by the wine list, and the food was good. Unfortunately, the service was very poor, which was disappointing given that we spent over €100. When I ordered a second glass of wine, the waitress insisted it was the same as my first, even though it clearly wasn’t (this was eventually corrected). When I asked for an extra plate so my children could share their large burger, I was given a coffee saucer. After requesting something more suitable, I was told they had nothing bigger and only after pressing did they reluctantly bring one from the kitchen. When it came time to pay, I checked the bill and the staff became impatient, even instructing me rather curtly on how to use my card. Overall, the service was unwelcoming and unprofessional, and I’m not sure what the attitude problem was.

Stopped in for a cocktail after touring the Ancient Agora. Service was fast, great English, and the drinks were good. The tacos were a great snack as we worked our way back to the hotel. Fun decor inside and of course a great view of the Acropolis.

The Buena Vista Social Bar does almost everything right. The atmosphere is fantastic — warm, stylish, with just the right touch of Cuban charm. The cocktails are very good, carefully prepared, and the kind of thing you want to linger over as the night rolls on. Hospitality is equally strong: you’re welcomed with a complimentary bottle of water and a bowl of nuts, a small but meaningful gesture that tells you they know how to set the tone. So why not five stars? Consistency. We’ve been there four times, and the difference between weekday and weekend service is night and day. During the week, with the experienced staff on duty, the service is excellent — smooth, professional, friendly. On weekends, however, the apprentices take over: young waiters, moving slowly, clearly regarding their job as more burden than calling. Drinks arrive late, smiles are forced, and the rhythm of the place stumbles. It doesn’t ruin the experience, but it does hold it back. Buena Vista has everything it needs to be flawless, but for now it remains a tale of two bars: one during the week, polished and professional, the other on weekends, struggling to keep up. Still, recommended — just plan your visit when the grown-ups are working.

Beautiful Cuban bar with extensive menu and knowledgeable staff. Requested an amaretto sour and espresso martini (both off-menu) and they served them to a high standard, as well as other drinks from the menu. I’ve been in Greece for the past two weeks, and just about everywhere we’ve gone — from small family-run tavernas to trendy cocktail bars — the service has been close to perfect. Unfortunately, Buena Vista Social Club was the exception, and honestly one of the worst service experiences I’ve ever had anywhere. We arrived at 9:10pm last night and sat right away, but then didn’t see a server for over 25 minutes. I had to flag someone down just to order. Our drinks finally arrived about 25 minutes after that — not exactly what you expect from a place with these prices. The food didn’t make up for it either: the flautas were bland and flavorless, nothing memorable at all. We tried to get a server’s attention for a second round of drinks, but after being ignored again, we gave up. When we finally did get someone to come over, we just asked for the check. To top it off, the server seemed upset that we didn’t leave a tip — as if the poor service was our fault. For contrast, we went to A for Athens rooftop bar right next door the night before and had absolutely stellar service. That only highlighted how bad this place was. Overall, Buena Vista Social Club was a huge disappointment and I would not recommend it.

Wonderful service and atmosphere. Unfortunately their foods doesn’t deliver the same. I know I’m from the United States, but these things had the consistency of mashed potatoes. Manager said thats the way they were supposed to be. 😂 . Catch of the day was sea bass. Zero flavor. However they do have a good pastry chef. 300 Euro dinner and left hungry. Best thing going for this place is the location and the view.

Great view of the acropolis on the right side of the seating area. Food and service were good and the music was nice. A bit more upscale than other rooftops and comes with a premium as well that is well worth it with the unobstructed view. There is a line as you enter so maybe it’s best to book in advance.

It had a unique flavor combination I've never tried before. Not bitter and very refreshing, just how I like it. - Vermouth: Really good and refreshing! 💁🏻‍♀️The Service: The staff were nice and our drinks came out quickly. 🅿️ Parking: They don't have a dedicated parking lot. 💭Final Thoughts: It’s on the expensive side, but it’s a great place to enjoy some cool drinks at night.

We were initially drawn to the bar for its supposedly amazing views of the Acropolis, however we struggled to make reservations as our calls were not taken, we decided to show up without and did have to wait around in the very tightly made spiral staircase. Only to be seated directly to a speaker playing some of the most intense house music at an alarmingly loud volume. The views were nice only if you were sat on the edge of the bar’s terrace (assuming you dont mind everyone at the bar approaching you all night to take photos from that side). Drinks were overpriced and not to my liking personally, i stuck to the wine list — but the atmosphere i imagine could be tolerable and even enjoyable in the summer (especially if you are tipsy)

Absolutely loved this place. It’s a creative hub with small rooms occupied by local designers — I bought a few lovely items. The central courtyard is perfect for enjoying a beer or cocktail. Drinks were generously portioned and came with complimentary peanuts. Great atmosphere.

I remember this place being so cool and awesome that I had to show it to my fiancé and mother-in-law. I was sorely disappointed with the service and the bartender who seemed like they had no interest in being there and legitimately almost felt as though I was bothering them. The cocktail was fine. The prices were high. Didn’t bother staying much longer than that.

A beautiful and unique space housed in an old Athenian building—though I searched, I couldn’t uncover its original use. You can enjoy your coffee or drink in an inner courtyard, surrounded by rooms that host rotating exhibitions. A truly excellent initiative.

Such an interesting location and architecture. A hub for small artistic exhibition. Is like a small oasis of peace in middle of billions of tourists rushing around.

Local Greek artists shop!!! So lovely! Everyone is welcoming and the pricing is really fair !!!

The main barstaff seemed miserable to be there on a Saturday night and was talking on a phone call on her AirPods ignoring me at the bar. One girl was nice and came by looking surprised I hadn’t been served. Cocktail was not great and very sugary. The courtyard space is cool so this could be buzzing if the service experience improved. It was fine but has potential to be great. It was quiet on a Saturday night which maybe suggests something.

We came in to grab a beer to cool off after spending the morning site seeing. We were the only people in the space. Our bartender was so kind, and gave us a shot of Greek liqueur to try. Unfortunately they were out of the sour cherry drink. I was able to get a lemonade which was delicious and refreshing.
