Zisis is a great spot for seafood lovers. We tried the shrimp, squid, and anchovy, along with a classic Greek salad everything was fresh, flavorful, and nicely cooked. One of the highlights is their unique serving style: fried fish like anchovy, sardine, and sand smelt are served in paper cones, which adds a fun and casual touch to the experience. If you’re in the mood for simple, tasty seafood with a creative twist, Zisis is definitely worth a try.

Reasonable priced old shop with old Greek mother-like lady cooking the fish. The fish were lightly fried and easy to chew and swallow including bones. The little anchovies surprisingly tasted so meaty. And the sardines tasted so fresh. All fried and served in a paper cone by a friendly waiter. The Zisis salad was good too, fresh lettuce and some mint flavour, though I would have enjoyed it more with more of the smoked mussels.

Good seafood with good staff. The fish quality is not top notch but the taste is good enough. The greek salad was amazing and the bread super tasty. I recommend the small shrimps. The staff is really nice and attentive. The atmosphere is completely touristic don't expect a local place. But it's comfortable.

At this place you will taste the best most fresh fish and shrimps ever.🐟🦐🐙 We got to this place exactly 20 minutes before it closed and they welcomed us to sit. The waiters are very friendly and patient. We ordered the fried sardines, fried calamari, and fried shrimps. The sardines were SO FRESH like you could still taste the sea in them. The food was perfectly cooked and served nicely. This was my mom's favorite place in athens, and I will definitely come back when I get the chance.

Came to try the seafood in cones. Didn't have the small shrimps when I dined. Service was poor as I had to ask for plain water, which we got when the meal was over. Server also looked like he was in a bad mood. Smelt was fishy and bitter. Squid could have been more crispy. Fish burger was a fish patty not "battered" as the server said. Fries were the only good thing. Save your money. Not worth it.

I liked the cultural experience. I read different things about the staff but we had an amazing experience. They were nice and appreciative . It’s only the owner/chef and the helper. You go downstairs, they give you a table, and you wait. They give you food , whatever they make that day. No menus, no options, none of that. Just like a homemade place in which grandpa cooks and you eat what you get. It felt culturally amazing. Simple, and nice. The price is set (15euros a person) including wine and all the food. This was one of the best dining experiences we had in Athens. There is a set menu and it’s delicious! Best garbanzo soup I’ve ever had! Everything was so good! The atmosphere feels authentic in a basement with large wine barrels and only a few tables. The chef is an old man cooking in the corner on a tiny stove and grill. Very reasonably priced, especially for the quality and touristy location. Highly recommend!

The rustic feel is certainly interesting, but it is not a restaurant in the normal sense of the word. no menu, 1 serving of stew is not enough for a lunch, etc etc. Having said that, I don't mind going there again to try whatever the old guy cooks on that day, and I'll then head to the central market nearby to have some seafood ...

I’ve had this placed pinned to go for years and finally made it! I love how discreet it is, the cozy and family run feel. No menu, just what the sweetest papou has cooked up for the day and it was DELICIOUSLY rustic, home style cooking for the soul served along with their own wine.

Wonderful late lunch meal in this atmospheric below-street taverna. Food comes promptly after being seated and the table covered with paper sheets accompanied by a crusty pre-sliced chunky bread. Four dishes arrived promptly - pappardelle, wonderfully creamy chick peas, butter beans, grilled sardines and a salad with big chunks of tomato, cucumber and spicy peppers. Loved every morsel.

I really enjoyed the food here. I came twice over the course of my trip and was pleased each time. The service was busy each time, but the staff were pleasant. I didn't have to wait to be seated as a solo diner, but I visited for a late lunch and then an early dinner, so perhaps timing was on my side. The food is a very reasonable price for the quality. Over the two visits, I tried the steamed mussels (nice, subtle spice, and standout dish), fava (comforting flavours), oven-baked anchoives and grilled peppers. Highly recommend.

The best priced seafood I’ve ever had but the quality and taste was still amazing! If you’re a seafood lover you should definitely visit here if you’re in Athens. The highlight for me was the shrimp - amazing and absolutely huge! Everything tasted so fresh and we had great service too.

We had sea bass and a seafood platter. It was the most delicious seafood restaurant we've eaten in Athens. The baby calamari on the plate was the best I've ever had, as someone from Izmir. The prices were quite reasonable. The tables were never empty. Perhaps I'd say the fact that the tables were on the street was a minus.

Where do I even begin… to say that this is one of the best seafood restaurants ever is an understatement. The crowds were indicative of how absolutely delicious the seafood is. The wait staff was attentive and humorous. It felt like we were guests at someone’s house. My top 3: 1. Baked Bread with Marinated Anchovies 2. Fried Small Shrimps 3. Steamed Mussels Do yourself a favor and go. Like seriously. GO IF YOU HAVE THE FREAKING CHANCE. Also apologies for the lack of pictures… too busy eating and enjoying…

We had the grilled squid, 1/2 sea bass with vegetables, and the anchovies on baked bread with taramosalata, all were delicious, but the anchovies and bread were a real standout. Everything was super fresh and perfectly prepared, these guys really know their seafood! The staff were attentive and efficient, even though we lined up, they cleared and reset tables quickly so the wait wasn’t long. Service was fast, and the vibe inside was cosy and lively. There’s also seating outside. It does get crowded (by the time we left around 9pm the line was huge), so best to go earlier if you don’t want to wait. Prices are very fair, with generous portions. Definitely recommend if you’re after fresh, delicious seafood in Athens!

A casual dining spot with fantastic food and quick service, but the pricing was inaccurate. The check listed the fish at €16, yet I was charged €18. When I asked, the waiter explained that “Dorada today is €18,” even though the bill said otherwise. I found that quite disappointing from a customer service standpoint—though I would have gladly stayed even knowing the correct price upfront, but now ai feel cheated and will not come back here

Visited for dinner and ordered via the a la carte menu. The atmosphere is beautiful and the waiting staff were very friendly and as attentive as they should be. Many of the items were great (with the exception of the Greek rib eye which was slightly underwhelming) but they all lacked the wow factor you expect at such a price range. The Spanish beef fillet was amazing and definitely the highlight of the night. All in all, Cookoovaya is a very nice option in the area, but there are far better options at this price range.

The restaurant is definitely in the top 10% of local greek cuisine. Modern approach to excellent ingredients with talented kitchen staff and very good table service. My waitress Anastasia was fabulous, charming and knew the menu. Praises to chef the cuisine- Anna. They have one more new location on an island.

Really dissapointing food. Extremely expensive for what it is. A salad of basically boiled potatoes for €20, the tiniest piece of amberjack fish served with literaly half a zuchini for €38, the driest piece of seabass fish served with barely boiled wild greens for €35. An untasteful joke. The service was great though! The tables near the open kitchen get way too much heat, best avoid.

This is a very nice restaurant with an elegant, tasteful interior. You can tell that a lot of attention was put into the design — it feels refined but comfortable. The tables are well spaced, offering a sense of privacy that many places lack, and the restaurant itself is quite spacious. The food is excellent and the wine selection is truly impressive — carefully chosen and perfectly matched with the menu. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars for the service. Perhaps we were drinking a bit faster than usual, but we often had to pour our own wine, which slightly took away from the otherwise classy experience. Overall, it’s a sophisticated and stylish restaurant, ideal for a nice evening out — though not exactly cheap.

I'm going this place the benefit of the doubt, it came highly recommended but I wasn't blown away by this meal. The raw fish of the day was so citrusy it was overpowering, I couldn't enjoy the natural flavors of the raw fish or other ingredients, it was just a melange of textures "a la limon." Truly disappointing bc I love a good crudo, and it wasn't cheap. My second dish was was the slow cooked goat, it was juicy and tender, but slightly on the sweet side which isn't my preferred flavor profile but others might enjoy it. The potatoes that accompany it were more like potato chips than fries. The staff was kind, and the restaurant is beautiful, don't know if I will give it another try as its quite pricy. One other thing, I didn't enjoy the style of service here in Athens that I experienced a few times at fine dining restaurants. As soon as you sit down, the waiter appears and, even before you get the menu they ask if you would like a certain item, it feels rushed, the client feels pressured and its s bit sneaky to ask if they want to have something like bread if its a premium product w an upsell without letting them know. I'd give this place a 3.9 if I could but since its not a 3 I'll give it a 4, in my opinion.

This is WHERE to dine in Athens. Love it! Ask for waitress Jonna. She is absolutely a professional. We had the lamb chops and grouper. Both were perfect. We shared the pear tart — oh Wow! We are going back tonight for aged mutton for two.

Very very pretty place, but not without problems. The wait is at least 30 minutes, which is okay, the food is nice, nothing crazy. We got a mixed plate for 2 people, I loved tzatziki and the meatballs, the rest was okay. The service is pretty bad though, we had to wait a while to place our order and even longer to pay. Nobody came to check if the food was good or if we wanted anything else.

My friend found this spot and was so excited to try it based upon Trip Advisor feedback. It definitely looks unassuming from the street. Luckily, we arrived before the afternoon rush and easily seated ourselves at one of the many tables available. After about it 15 minutes, the place was packed and by 3pm there was a line out the door into the street. Service was fine, very slow but exceptionally friendly. We tried a small sampler plate, meatballs, bread and a Greek salad with delicious fresh ingredients. The kitchen is small and they were packed so it took a very long time to get our entrees but the bread and salad was out quickly. My friend also had a small jug of honeyed wine that was also very good. They were so busy by the time we left they were running around like crazy and it was all Greeks and hardly any tourists. It’s a ways away from touristy areas and you’d never find it from the street if you didn’t know as it’s through an indescript door/alleyway and opens to a gorgeous seating area. They do have a bathroom for guests.

I’m not sure about this place. It’s quite unique because of its design and old style Greek street set up. However, the menu is quite poor. I understand that this is what they wanted to cook and sell here but I didn’t very like it, unfortunately. We could not even choose something from the menu because it’s either something over fried and over cooked. It’s not like it’s not tasty but it’s not what I expected. So if you want some Greek food or something tasty, I don’t think it’s a place you want to queue in.

Had a great dinner at Avli. This a local, no frills authentic spot for some tasty dishes. It’s busy, expect a short wait and not the best service because they are hustling to serve all the tables. The fried pork is a must, and the soutzoukakia is tasty. Last pic is a small size sampler platter, I would skip this next time and just get regular sized dishes of what you want.

Such a great time. Forgot my bag there. Came back an hour or so later. They held it for me. Nothing missing. Then we had shots in the kitchen and beers. Fun great time here. Small tight. Dont come here its too awesome. Whoever the white haired waiter was. He was excellent. We shared a few shots for sure.

I expected something different, it felt too touristy and without soul, at least to me. There’s Greek music and a nice view, but something just felt off. The food arrived in a second, no waiting in line either. The food was just okay, and they didn’t bring the free water that’s usually offered everywhere in Athens.

It was pretty busy when we arrived, and we had to wait in line for a bit. A staff member eventually welcomed us and invited us in, but then disappeared into the crowd. Since no one else guided us, we assumed we could pick our own table and sat down. Just a few seconds later, another staff member approached us with a pretty rude tone, asking if the manager had told us to sit. We tried to explain, but he didn’t listen and told us to leave, which felt quite disrespectful. While we were still trying to clarify, the woman who originally welcomed us came back and asked us to follow her. She then seated us in the semi-outdoor area, and thankfully, things improved from there. The rest of the staff were really friendly and helpful. From taking our order to serving the food, they were polite and attentive. One even asked how we liked the food, which we really appreciated. The food itself was delicious, we’d give it a solid 9 out of 10. And as a nice surprise, they even gave us a complimentary dessert at the end! Overall, a rocky start, but it ended on a good note✨

On the way back to our hotel, we saw a long line of locals waiting outside this restaurant, so we decided to give it a try. It turned out to be an amazing choice! The restaurant has an open kitchen and a bar that looks like a traditional butcher shop, creating a great atmosphere as soon as you walk in. Right after sitting down, we were offered complimentary ham and cheese — even though it was free, the quality was impressive. We ordered sausages, meatballs, and smoked fish appetizers. The portions were generous, and every dish was incredibly delicious. We ended up finishing everything and still felt like we wanted more. After the meal, the restaurant also served complimentary yogurt with shredded carrots for dessert, which was refreshing and surprisingly tasty. When leaving, the friendly owner personally asked about our dining experience, which made us feel truly welcomed. The only downside was that the waitress who took our order didn’t smile at all and looked rather unfriendly — probably because it was too busy. Overall, the food, atmosphere, and hospitality were excellent. Definitely worth a visit!

I visited twice - once for lunch, another time for dinner - and enjoyed both experiences. The food was well seasoned and had great flavours, and the staff were friendly. I appreciated that a server gave me a heads up that the eel dish was served cold - it was a wonderful dish, but I was glad to know what to expect. I tried the meatballs, potato salad with mustard dressing, smoked eel from Anta, and aubergines & zucchini in Cappadocian sauce. All were very good. I didn't need a reservation for a solo late lunch, but I recommend a reservation for dinner.

If one ever needed a reminder that greek, turkish and perhaps other eastern mediterranean cuisines are related, a visit at Karamanlidika is that reminder. As a Turk myself, I found heaps of dishes that I know from home, and the next table was a central asian couple that was equally delighted. The place is in the cash&carry district of Athens, so it also caters for other food places, but also serves food. The queue outside tells you how famous it is. But beware: it is perhaps not the place for your average greeek food. The place is a shop for cold cuts, sausages, cheeses and condiments for all these, so the food is neatly centred around these. And delicious they are! Authentic mediterranenan Mezze served by friendly and competent staff. If you have been to Turkey to eat Mezze, you will not be disappointed here. A classy place with traditional Greek music. The dolma was amazing , thick but perfectly balanced in flavor. The kavourma was also excellent, and even though the portion was quite large, my stomach handled it comfortably :) The atmosphere is lovely and the staff are very friendly. Prices are quite reasonable. After the meal, they served boiled carrots with yogurt based dessert was great. I’d definitely love to come back Note: cheese and pastourmás were on the house

Had to try this place, as a long line always forms outside. Small amount of seating inside so usually a wait, however we made a reservation. Food was delicious and flavorful. Nice window seat to people watch. Service was somewhat slow, I think they were short staffed. Enjoyed the fresh bread and beer selection, was able to get Non Alcoholic.

It’s the kind of place that makes you feel at home, even if you’re visiting from halfway across the world. We loved it so much, we went back again—and next time we’re in Greece, especially in Athens, The Traditional will definitely be on our list to revisit. Walked through their tables on the sidewalk one night and saw one customer with a big leg of lamb on his plate. Said "We're coming here tomorrow" to my wife. They did not disappoint! We ordered the Mousaka, Pastitio, greek salad and lamb on the spit. The lamb was juicy and tasty. The Mousaka was the best we had eaten on our Greek adventures. We ate inside to get the feel of the kitchen. We went back the next day for our last dinner in Greece before we flew home. We had the Fava beans and chicken souvlaki as well as another round of lamb on the spit. All of our food was delicious. That said, a couple behind us had the kontosouvli chicken but didn't appreciate some of the more harder charred bits which one would expect if you ordered that type of grilled meat. We would go back in a second for our Greek Traditional food.

Moussaka I ordered was dry and it seems to have only potato in it. Kleftika was very dry and difficult to chew, it might have been prepared yesterday. It also had this gray color. Greek salad — nothing special with only 4 olives in it. Would not return

Cosy diner with great service. Excellent food at reasonable pricing with generous portions. Chicken was tender and very flavourful. Take a table away from the road as the exhaust fumes might put you off when there is a traffic congestion.

Steak was big but tough as leather. Staff wasn’t very friendly and cold. She told us to get the BBQ spit chicken instead of souvlaki but it was sooooo dry we could even finish even half of it. The best plate was the stewed lamb and potatoes dish.

A traditional Greek tavern in the center of Athens. The quality of the food is really great and the prices are reasonable compared to other similar places in the area. The meat is really tasteful. Theybalso have a nice variaty of Tsipouro. Overall is a place that you will certainly eat well and pay a normal amount of money. Its a must!

We ate only Mazatas . Everting we ate was absolutely perfect. The dish a bit small and the price hige if I compre to other Tevernas. We took Tziki , zukini , pitta,greek salad and Feta with honey.

Had the grilled sardine and shrimps. Flavors were definitely on point. The fish is extremely fresh and is rich and decadent. I did not get bread but it would be perfect to soak up all that delicious juices! Portions are slightly on the smaller side but it’s the perfect portion for a light supper.

Stumbled across this treasure of a restaurant walking back to my hotel in a nondescript neighbourhood I had booked for one night before heading to the islands. What a lucky stumble! I was treated to a taste of decadently moreish homemade fish soup, followed by a beautifully delicate sea bream carpaccio served with a drizzle of delicious citrus sauce. I would have been happy with that but there was more to come. Grilled vegetables - aubergine, zucchini, tomato and yellow peppers, thinly sliced and grilled to perfection served with a delectable balsamic glaze. This came with a trio of homemade breads all with their own distinct flavours - basil, local cheese, aubergine and tomato. The crowning glory, was the whole grilled squid - the most tender I've eaten, served with flavoursome cherry tomatoes and beautifully dressed with a little citrus sauce with a delectable olive oil and that's it. And it was stunning! I really wanted to try the desserts - they had lemon pie, profiteroles in chocolate sauce and one other on offer, but I was so deliciously satiated by all the previous dishes, that I reluctantly abstained. What a superb meal - and the lovely attentive service matched the excellent quality of food. If you're in Athens, make the effort to try this place out. You won't be disappointed. Chef's kiss!

Wonderful dinner spot with a lovely ambience and friendly staff. We particularly enjoyed the aubergine, fava, dolmades, and the grouper; our kids loved the orzo with shrimp. And make sure to try the mastika ice cream as a final sweet finish + pallet cleanser. (One note to the kitchen: I found the Greek salad slightly too salty!) Be sure to book in advance on the weekends.

The service is attentive and friendly without being intrusive. The cuisine focuses on traditional Greek seafood dishes — simple but very well executed. The menu isn’t particularly extensive, but every dish is thoughtfully prepared with high-quality ingredients. Among the dishes I tried, the barley with shrimp stood out — really delicious and definitely worth trying. We also had a fish soup as a starter, which was excellent as well: rich in flavor and perfectly balanced. Overall, a pleasant and genuine experience — ideal for anyone who wants to enjoy traditional seafood in an elegant yet cozy environment.

What a beautiful and peaceful place to enjoy delicious Greek cuisine. Surrounded by nature and fresh breeze, makes this place very unique. The staff was very friendly, The price is relatively decent, The food was delicious, And they have a very good selection of Greek wines, really tasty and good price as well. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Travolta, a neighborhood spot with a modern take on Greek seaside taverna. The fact that the fish is fresh is self-evident here. This restaurant should definitely be on your list in Athens.

I decided to come here after seeing it recommended by an influencer. I made a reservation on a weekday, but it turns out there would have been space even without one. It’s about 15–20 minutes from central Athens by taxi, and I paid €10 one way via Uber. It’s a very refined restaurant — both the food quality and the service from the waiters were top-notch. Clearly a level above the touristy spots in the city center. We started with cocktails, and they were excellent. Then we ordered a Greek salad, which was by far the best feta salad I’ve ever had — mainly because the tomatoes were incredibly fresh and flavorful. After that, we had: • Smoked eel on fava • Grilled red mullet skewers • Squid • Seabream carpaccio • Fried zucchini The fried zucchini was amazing, and the red mullet was also fantastic and full of flavor. The carpaccio was nice, though a bit overpriced in my opinion. We were very full, so we skipped dessert. We had a small glass of ouzo with the meal, which was more than enough. The bread served on the side was also very crispy and delicious. At the end of the meal, they offered us mastiha liqueur from Chios as a treat. If there had been Greek music playing in the background, the experience would have been even better. Overall, it was a truly unique experience. If I return to Athens, I will definitely come back. We paid €180 for two people, were completely full, and it was absolutely worth the price for this quality.

For me this fish restaurant is one of the best in Athens. We came here with a recommendation of our friend. They know how to cook, and they know the soul of fish cooking. We started with Tarama Dip, it was creamy, fresh and aromatic. The taste was so light so good. After we had Red Snapper carpaccio with wasabi touch. This two is in my favorite list. Then we ordered Dakos salad. It’s a good traditional Greek salad with Travolta’s chefs touch. Was amazing. For the hot appetizers we ordered fried fresh calamari, it was really tasty and not too much oily and with less flour. Amazing flavour and taste. Also for the hot appetizer we ordered, smoked eel on the homemade fava. My favourite at this restaurant was Smoked Eel on Fava. Must Have. For the main dish we ordered grilled Calamari Souvlaki and Fresh Barbuni( Red Mullet), also the main dishes were amazing. Hope to come here again on our next trip to Athens

Great fish taverna and great service. You don’t expect to find this fine restaurant in this neighborhood in Athens but is a very welcoming restaurant with attentive staff, fresh food and extensive but not overwhelming menu. A bit expensive but it is worth it.

White decorated nostalgic fish tavern atmosphere. The waitresses are so kind and fast service. There is sommelier helps you to choose right wine if you want. They try to make their sign on the seafoods they serve and i think it is successful. Their welcome jest is fish eggs on creamy top and at the end they bring liquer and very nice chocolate to farewell. Well deserved high ratings.

A classic fish restaurant in Athens which is going on for 10 years now. The food is good with some of their dishes being copied all around Greece. Really enjoyed the sardines with beetroot sauce, and the seafood “kontosouvli” with prawns and squid. The sea bream with the aubergine purée wasn’t good same as the grilled langoustines. They don’t season -but with salt -their grilled fish ( which is a bit of a let down for me ) but at least they are honest and communicate it with the guests’and throw you a couple of lemons and a knife to do it yourself. Friendly service. Pricey .

It is the perfect place for folks on corporate Amex. It is filled with international suits and well dressed couples. Stunning views of Micro Limani watching sunset reflection over Voula and Gliphada across the water (east facing). Food is great, the place is immaculate. Greek coffee is machine made, if you are a coffee snob, save it for a more traditional place. It is the first place I have been in Greece where they brought our bill before we asked. Since we were not done they had to take it back. For such an exquisite place, that is surprising.

I was going to give one star however waiters were so polite and welcoming so dear owner please thank them for the second star. We ate steamed mussels, grilled octopus, Greek salad, daily fish (medium size) and one chocolate dessert from the restaurant. We drank 1 bottle of white wine and water. We paid 100eur per person (total 200). Octopus and fish were less than mediocre. The octopus was like rubber and fish was very salty. It didn’t deserve the price paid. We ate much better muscles in Greece. The best part was the dessert which was very good. The atmosphere was very nice and the waiters were very polite however the price level of this restaurant does not deserve its food quality.

Amazing !!! Do not miss their tomato salad it’s out of this world. They’re famous for it! French fries is homemade not industrial at all, the sea view while eating is everything. Service is top 🔝. On weekends make sure to make a reservation as from what I know and experienced is they are always full. but on Monday’s you simply can pop in and get a seat.. free parking outside, so that’s a plus!

Sophisticated and relaxed restaurant in a beautiful seaside setting. Terrific modern Greek cuisine, superb wine list, friendly and highly professional wait staff, gorgeous ambience. I thoroughly recommend this establishment as a delightful highend venue for that special long lunch.

Without a doubt this place served us the best classic greek food in Athens. The atmosphere and service where amazing but what got me hooked is the food. They serve classic greek food but every dish has a little twist that makes it better. Started with the uni salad. Super fresh and full of sea flavor served with grilled bread. The mussels doesn’t look any different until you taste them and notice the smoky flavor there. This is by far the best mussels I had in my life. The baby fried shrimp eats like s popcorn super crispy and delicious. The scampi are not to be missed. Super delicious and juicy. Then came the sea bream now we had lots of grilled fish in this trip. They all tasted great but this one had the grill taste in every bite.

Amazing atmosphere with great food and excellent service. Beautiful setting with live music on the weekend and traditional dancers. Excellent drinks and reasonable prices. The baklava is delicious, and the orangepie is rich and tasty. A great place to spend an evening.

Went here as an impromptu dinner spot after a lovely welcome from the waiters and were not at all disappointed. The orange juice was fresh and I tried the tomatoes with stuffed rice for the first time - these were cooked so well and full of flavour. The seating was nice outside with some lovely live music as well!

Cozy rooftop with gorgeous view. Sit on the rail by the inside restaurant to hear the live Greek music and see the traditional dancing. The grilled octopus was perfect, and local wine was a great recommendation. They have many tables linking the steps up the hill which is a fun experience to try on our next visit. The tzatziki was excellent and we put it on everything. Great date night spot and worth the drive from Athens to Plaka. Reservations recommended!

I had an awkward experience here. I am a half black half white American, and I’m not sure what exactly it was, but the staff treated me very strangely especially when it was time to pay. It was as if they didn’t think I was going to, because they were hawk eyeing my every move it seemed. Also, some of the patrons would point and murmur and it just felt very uncomfortable. At this point I have been to quite a few bars and restaurants and have never felt like this, and I don’t exactly know what it was about me that made everyone behave so strangely here. On a side note, the life music and the vibe was very nice and interesting, so as a local or someone who looks like a local, you’d likely have a better experience. I wanted to like this place but there were just too many moments where I felt like a zoo animal that I just can’t recommend for others who look like me. The lamb chops were okay but very chewy and not quite as good as other places nearby. Good luck!

Were greeted so warmly by the host and waiters. Great food, everything was delicious. Quick and gracious service. Lovely musicians and dancing entertainment. Highly recommend.

We lived our dinner at geros Tou Moria. Food was best and entertainment was so fun. Loved the dancers and the music. Nicolas our server suggested food selections from menu. He made our night unforgettable. Our only regret is that it was our first night and we had been up for 48 hours straight so we couldn’t make it through to the end of the show.

I had a great overall experience at this cozy spot in Greece. I started with a Greek coffee, which was really good—rich, strong, and m reminded me of Egyptian or Turkish coffee. For starters, I had the fried cheese bites. Most of them were delicious, crispy on the outside with gooey cheese inside, but one was still partially frozen in the center and a few had a slightly bitter, undercooked doughy taste. For my main, I went with the pork gyro platter, which came with pita and potatoes. The pork was flavorful but a bit dry and not hot enough. I found myself wanting a bit more pita to go with it. The white dipping sauce on the side was creamy and flavorful, a perfect match for the meat, definitely the highlight of the plate. The service was friendly, attentive, and very accommodating throughout the meal, which really added to the experience. At the end, they brought out a free dessert—a soft, fragrant orange cake with cinnamon that was absolutely amazing and easily my favorite part of the meal. That said, the restaurant does strike me as being geared more toward tourists, likely due to its location and a menu that is partly ready-made or pre-frozen. While that doesn’t take away from the overall enjoyment, it’s something to keep in mind. I’m giving it four stars because while the food and service were very enjoyable, there were a couple of small execution issues. Still, I’d happily return for the coffee and cake.

I loved this place, even on a hot day the garden was cool and covered in shade from the vines growing overhead. Fairy lights and stone walls added to a great atmosphere. And the food... it was very tasty and fresh. Squid was exquisite: fresh, soft and only dusted in flour as opposed to heavy battered oily and rubbery thing you find in some places. And you get the whole plate of just squid and lemon, no silly plate fillers.

I had some lunch here today and loved the Musakhan and chicken salad. The musakhan was delicious with little taste of cinnamon and I just loved it! The service was fast and attentive. My husband loved the complimentary desert - some traditional cakes very much. Loved the lights and vibes on the ceiling thus would love to come back here for dinner again.

Started out with the halloumi, which was great. Also got the zucchini, which was soggy. Would not recommend. For our main course we got the chicken souvlaki which was nice and juicy with a good flavor. We also got Moussaka, which I would not recommend. The dessert was complimentary, and it was good. It tasted like some kind of orange breaded dessert. I liked it. Overall not a bad place to grab some food, if you’re in the area.

The meat platter was definitely enough for four people, and we even took some home. The staff was friendly, but at the beginning it took quite a while before we were seated, which was a bit confusing. The food is so amazing here we went to eat two days in a row and we stuffed or face so fast I only took one picture 😂. They have a complimentary bread and olive paste for starters and amazing portocalopita desert. The waiters are very attentive and the place is almost always full. You must try this place!

A typical restaurant for tourists in the heart of the city at the foot of the Acropolis. The portions are very generous so you can eat well, but the fact is that the food could be much better. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the biggest drawback is the crowded tables in the outdoor part of the restaurant.

our family of 7 adults had reservations at the upper terrace which provides a beautiful view of the Parthenon. Last time when at Strofi the food and service were much better. The manager came and apologized because they seemed to have confusion and forgot about our order....when our meals finally arrived, the food was under seasoned and the bread was quite dry... disappointed with this restaurant. (the shrimp dish was best). The chairs had hard seats and were difficult to sit in while waiting for our dinner .. we loved the view but food not worth the prices they charge.

Strofi is amazing… my second time there. The food is delicious and abundant, and the view is spectacular. Everything is beautifully presented by the friendly waitstaff. Can’t wait to go back again the next time I’m in Athens.

A nice restaurant with a stunning view of the Acropolis. They have a selection of Greek wines and a large menu with traditional Greek dishes. I ordered the grape leaf-wrapped sea bass and my husband ordered the veal steak. Both were okay, but not too memorable. The seasoning was lacking on both dishes, and the presentation was confusing. We also ordered the baklava, and instead of honey, a simple syrup was squirted on top. It was okay, but not the best. The terrace atmosphere is nice, but something a little off-putting is that for each course you order, a receipt is brought to the table. After we ordered wine, a staff member immediately brought a ticket over. It made us feel confused a little rushed, as we had not ordered mains yet. As we saw them do this to other tables, we realized that this is just what they do here, but I would suggest this practice be changed to a single final ticket to reduce disruptive visits to the table. Overall, a nice place for the view and a glass of wine, but not the best food.

Location, location, location and atmosphere is awesome. Reservations is over hype. Even has a mimimum €35 per person. And needed to reconfirm reservations a day before if not they will cancel my reservations. The place was more than half empty when we were done with our dinner. So now I was expecting something phenomenal due to the strict requirements of the reservations. Goat in parchment paper is good, lamb was good, sea bass is also good. The veal was a big disappointed. First try was over cooked and the second time was almost rare. But all in all, nothing special on the food or let's say no wow factor. Will not recommend and no repeat from me.

We were looking for a restaurant with a stunning view of the Acropolis, an outdoor terrace, traditional Greek cuisine well prepared, and reasonable prices—not a Michelin-starred fine dining option, but something more balanced. Strofi turned out to be the perfect choice. Located right below the Acropolis, the terrace offers an unforgettable panorama, especially in the evening. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and always polite. The food was excellent: traditional Greek dishes with a higher quality than a typical taverna. The moussaka was outstanding, the fish (sea bream, sea bass, and prawns) was fresh and perfectly cooked, and the meat dishes were also very much enjoyed by our kids. We paired everything with a Greek rosé wine, so good we ended up ordering two bottles. To get the best table, right by the edge with the view, I booked a couple of days in advance. They asked for a minimum consumption of about €35 per person, which was fair considering the quality of the food and the whole experience. I highly recommend booking in advance if you want to secure a table with the best view. Strofi combines panorama, delicious cuisine, and warm hospitality—a perfect highlight of our stay in Athens. After dinner, a stroll down towards Plaka makes the evening even more enjoyable.

Ate here last night, view of Parthenon was incredible. Arrived around 7:30 so sun was still up. Service is top notch here. Waiters answered every question we had. We enjoyed fried feta (must have), greek salad (huge portion), pita bread, park stuffed with sundried tomatoes, beef skewer and finished it off with backlava(delicious). Food was outstanding. The sun set and the lights came on giving the area a whole different look. The view, service and ambiance was all incredible.

We chose this restaurant because it is Michelin recommended and has a view of the Acropolis, so we were quite excited. For starters, we ordered the marinated octopus and the fresh blue crab salad. For mains, we had the spicy tuna, chicken, and twelve hour braised pork. Both starters were delicious, especially the blue crab salad. It had an Asian-inspired flavour, the crab meat was generous, and the seasoning was just right — not too heavy, which made it a perfect appetizer. The octopus was also very tasty and not chewy at all. Among the three mains, the chicken was the best. It was tender and the potatoes served with it were cooked in olive oil and very flavourful. The spicy tuna was really spicy, which is rare in Western cuisine, so if you enjoy spicy food you will love it. The weakest dish was the braised pork — it tasted like meat that had been boiled for soup, not appetizing at all. The best part of the experience was definitely the view. We had a corner table with a direct view of the Acropolis, which was a lovely surprise. It was a great spot for photos too.

Had a very good dinner on the rooftop with spectacular views. The staff was overwhelmed by a large dinner party that was near us that affected their level of service it seemed, but we were in no rush. It is pricier than other places in Athens. Still with the views and atmosphere and some pretty good food, this place is worth it for a special meal. Book ahead if you want optimal terrace seating with views.

Highly recommend the rooftop as a must do! The best view from the roof terrace of the acropolis, temple of Hephaestus and the ancient agora. Book in advance! We enjoyed the Greek salad, feta cheese dumplings, black cod and pork tenderloin. The service is wonderful.

The food was splendid. It is a modern Greek restaurant. It seems to be modern takes on traditional Greek food. Their Greek Salad has crumbled feta, not a block of feta in the more traditional style. The salad contained croutons that I think were from a rye olive bread, they were lovely on their own and a load from an artisan bakery in the UK would probably cost £10. I had the olive fed chicken which was lovely with a lovely crisp Greek white wine. I had proper Greek Coffee. I am travelling alone and ultimately I found what I really wanted 2 doors down, informality, live music, beer and dolmades.

We got seating at a table up on the rooftop with a nice view of the Acropolis. Appetizers and meals were all freshly prepared and delicious. Prices are very reasonable. This place was recommended by our driver and it certainly did not disappoint.

Kuzina is definitely worth all the money!! We were 5 of us and we were celebrating the 40th anniversary of our parents. Our parents wanted a dinner with a view and everyone had recommended Kuzina. The view, stunning. The atmosphere, calm. The food, UNREAL!! We had a great spread from the appetizers to the main course. For our apps, we had the Blue Crab Salad, Greek Salad, Sea Bass and one more dish that I can’t seem to remember the name but it was cheese balls. For our mains, we had the Tenderloin of Lamb, Spicy Tuna and Pork. Everything is delicious and our server was a delight. When we come back to Greece, we will definitely come back to Kuzina!

The view of the acropolis was exquisite at night! Food and service were amazing! Their feta hot appetizer was absolutely delicious and so was their seagrouper is a must. I wouldn’t recommend the beef carpaccio only.

This place is beautiful inside and outside. With a million dollar view from there three story terrace. The inside is just as lovely but, you came for the view. Service was a 10 for our group of 6 and they even brought over heated lamps to keep us cozy as it got cooler at night. I had the Sole with fresh veggies and a light sauce. It was absolutely wonderful. We had a range of samplers from their baked feta, to stuffed grape leaves, fried zucchini. All stellar. Additionally, I tried my friends mushroom risotto and the moussaka. Sooo good. We loved everything about dinner. They have a notable wine list and can easily answer questions and make recommendations which they did for our group.

Absolutely loved our lunch here with an incredible view of the Acropolis in the distance. I had the Greek salad—no lettuce, just crisp cucumbers, sweet, homegrown-tasting tomatoes, and creamy feta. It was dressed simply with lemon, oregano, and amazing Greek olive oil—bright, fresh, and full of flavor. It even came with a couple of little cookies on the side, which somehow worked perfectly. The place was spotlessly clean, the staff were warm and friendly, and the bathrooms were immaculate. A relaxed, delicious experience—highly recommend!

Dining with a View of the Acropolis If you want to enjoy a meal with a stunning view of the Acropolis, this is definitely the place. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed, and the terrace is perfectly arranged for a memorable evening with one of the best views in Athens. However, compared to the view, the restaurant is quite expensive for the quality of food it offers. Like many rooftop spots in Athens, you’re paying mostly for the view rather than the dishes themselves. The ribs were a bit dry and lacked flavor — I had to add salt and spices to bring them to a more enjoyable level. The burrata salad was rather disappointing: it consisted mostly of chopped cherry tomatoes and what seemed to be a local version of burrata cheese. Typically, when burrata is cut, the creamy center should flow out — here, it did not. The eggplant was crispy but not particularly flavorful. The wine list is extensive, though the prices are on the higher side. Service was polite and professional throughout. In summary, this is a place where you pay for the location and the breathtaking view rather than for exceptional food. Beautiful setting — but the dishes don’t quite match the price level.

Arguably, this restaurant has the best view to the Parthenon Temple in the whole of Athens. Some other restaurants do have a view to the Parthenon, especially from their terrace tables, but they have mostly the side view. Being a fine dining place, this has a better wine collection than most others I have been to at Athens. Btw, be prepared to pay about 50-60 per person for the meal.

I tried to calm down before writing this, but here’s my honest review of this OVERRATED restaurant. Terrible service. Rude staff. Hands down the worst dinner of our 10-day trip in this otherwise wonderful country. Yes, the staff were suited up like James Bond… but served like a comedian. We ordered appetizers and mains, and instead of pacing it out, the waiter just piled everything onto our tiny table—like it was a buffet at a student dorm. Then one male staff member leaned over and muttered “faster! faster!” Honestly, was he talking to us, the chef, or his career prospects? Either way, not the “fine dining” energy they claim to offer. And then came the water-pouring circus act. The waitress decided it was a good idea to pour water from over 20 cm above the glass, splashing it all over my hand. Not just once—she repeated this “trick” for other tables with kids either. I’m just grateful it wasn’t boiling water, otherwise, we’d be reviewing a hospital instead of a restaurant. The food? Slightly better than an airport pork gyro plate. But here you pay over €40 per meal, which makes sense—€30 is for the view, €10 is for the food. Don’t get me wrong, the chef probably tried their best, but “effort” isn’t exactly worth Michelin-star prices. Hopefully, someone out there found the “passion” in their underwhelming plates. Cocktails? We ordered them not to celebrate my birthday, but to give Zonar’s one last chance to redeem itself. Spoiler: they didn’t. The bartenders (stationed by the welcoming aisle) served drinks with all the finesse of a vending machine you could spot on the street. The view? Gorgeous. Absolutely a stunner. But we took our own selfies—no way were we trusting staff with our memories after everything else they managed to ruin. Greece gave us plenty of joy, but Zonar’s will not be on the highlight reel. Honestly, I don’t know how much Zonar’s spends on hyped-up promotions in East Asia, but maybe cut the ads and spend that money on basic staff training and an interview process that weeds out people who think fine dining means “spill water dramatically and tell customers to hurry up.” Thanks for reading - Save your money, enjoy the view elsewhere.

The restaurant has a beautiful setting with stunning views of the Acropolis and a modern, elegant interior. Unfortunately, the service didn’t match the atmosphere. It was slow and disorganized throughout the meal. I specifically ordered a lamb dish and clearly mentioned no pork due to dietary restrictions, but it still came with pork sausage on the side. They did correct the mistake, but it took over 20 minutes to bring a new plate. The food itself was okay — fresh but not particularly special or memorable. Given the high-end setting, I expected better execution and more attentive service. A decent experience overall, but not one I’d be in a rush to repeat. I don’t recommend it.

Service was a 10/10. Staff were amazing, kind and very knowledgeable. However, you’re paying for the view here and/or you’re looking for an extensive wine collection. Cocktails are good but extremely overpriced. Spritz are $27. Our Greek salad was the same as anything on the street but ran us $26 with far less feta. Saddle of Lamb was extremely minimal for $50 and the Tagliatelle tasted just greasy. $20 for water is outrageous as well. We were so excited for this place and told at check in to make a reservation instantly. Wish we ate around town once more and passed on this.

The food was phenomenal, the staff were so kind and attentive. Sofia was our server and she was very pleasant. The burrata was amazing, as was the ravioli. The view of the Parthenon at night was stunning. Definitely worth a visit, but recommend making a reservation!

It is a luxurious rooftop experience situated inside a luxury hotel. The staff service is top notch. The prices are high but it is expected for fancy hotel with a gorgeous panoramic view of the city including views to Acropolis, Syntagma square and Panathenaic stadium.

To Kafeneio offers a wonderfully authentic Greek dining experience nestled at the foot of the Acropolis in the historic Plaka neighborhood. Wandering through the uneven, maze-like cobblestone streets around the restaurant truly feels like stepping back into ancient Greece. It’s said that this place has been around for 140 years—and you can feel the history! I originally tried visiting in the evening, but it was completely packed. So I came back the next day for lunch and was lucky enough to get a table after waiting just about 10 minutes. The food was delicious—the Greek salad with a full block of feta cheese was absolutely satisfying, the eggplant dip with honey was a delightful sweet-and-savory treat 👍, and the meatballs in sauce were flavorful and tender 👌. The only dish that didn’t quite win me over was the tomato fritters—I found them a bit dry for my taste. Overall, it’s a very local and genuine experience with great traditional flavors and friendly service. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy classic Greek cuisine in a charming historical setting!

Met the owners. They’re both so personal and wonderful people—not only because their restaurant is great, but they also rescued a cat and feed one that comes to the restaurant on a regular basis 😻 Kind humans. Great spot to hit for lunch after the Acropolis tour!! The tomato fritters were amazing! And I had the trout with fava too—YUM! Next time I’m back in Athens, I’ll be coming back to this place.

Here, I had the very best feta and tomato salad I have had in my whole life (and ever since, despite having many more during our time in Greece). We tried a range of local specialities, and all were simply stunning. I would also love to highlight the incredible service—thank you for making this experience so memorable!

Just a dreamy way to start off our visit to Greece! The food is delicious and fresh - the atmosphere is gorgeous and casual and homey - and you are outside in a beautiful area and there are cats! What could be better?

The place is nice and relaxing. The waiter was great. Just tried the Saganaki Hard Cheese and it was grood with pepper and honey jam.

I recently dined at this charming tavern in Athens and was thoroughly impressed by the experience. The staff was absolutely outstanding and incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making the whole visit feel special. As for the food, it was top-notch! The prices were more than fair for the quality and portion sizes. I had the kavourma and sausages, both served in a rich, flavorful sauce that was perfectly balanced. The traditional pitas (pies) were a great complement, adding to the authenticity of the meal. A tip for anyone visiting, before your meal, be sure to try a shot or two of rakomelo (Cretan raki). It’s the perfect start to your dining experience!

Most of the food was good. However, the presentation and service were very poor. They didn't change the plates or remove the forks at all; by the end, I had about 8 forks and spoons piled up on the table. Four different waiters served the table, and in the end, they insisted on a 20% tip, which would have amounted to €24 of the bill. So, you end up feeling awkward choosing a 0% tip, even though it's not mandatory. I can say that crab dish and bread were especially good, but overall nothing exceptional.

I went to this restaurant after a long day, without a reservation. They offered me a seat at the bar and recommended a couple of dishes. The menu was small, with interesting fusion style options. It’s a small restaurant with a nice atmosphere. The food came quickly and was excellent. The flavors worked really well together and I really enjoyed both dishes. Definitely a place I would recommend. Great food, friendly service and reasonably priced.

I had a beautiful lunch experience at Nolan. Everyone is smiley and with a nice and well educated manners also willing to explain something about the restaurant. I enjoyed the good vibes, young chill and cool which are also reflected in the beautiful and very careful but unexpected and interesting combination of ingredients. It really worths a try. ❣️

It was a great experience all around. The concept of sharing food with a Greek/Asian fusian is great. Every round of food was incredible, and the recommendations the staff gave were on point. An amazing dinner I could recommend everybody!

Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Nolan. The dishes are medium size tapas style and the quality was excellent. We tried the Green Beans Salad, the kushiyaki sea bass, cod tempura, angus beef and duck. Every dish was tasty. Definitely worth a visit.

Very nice place, on the higher end, with small plates. Nice service and atmosphere. Food was very good , definitely recommend the sea bream tartare. However the cod with the wasabi mayo was a bit salty, and the smashed cucumber salad more sour than we would like. Overall very good, but a bit too expensive for the food offered.

We had the most amazing meal here tonight. We arrived on time for our table, however, Greek time is a little flexible. So we had to wait almost 40 minutes until our table was clear. The manager (?) was lovely, didn’t get his name, however he was a Manchester United fan. He kept us going with some fizz whilst we waited outside. Inside to eat four heavenly dishes, which was just the right amount for two people. It was very difficult to choose from the menu, everything looked so delicious. Two desserts, and two pastries for breakfast tomorrow morning. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough, I would happily go back again tomorrow and eat exactly the same dishes. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the service was quick and efficient, and we simply loved everything about Nolan.

Food was delicious and reasonably priced, the view of the acropolis was great and it was convenient to book around 7.30-8pm to watch it during sunset and when the lights come on. The pineapple cocktail and tzatziki were delicious but please avoid the fruit cup cocktail, we had that as the last drink and after one sip our palettes were ruined and all the flavours of dinner left due to a bitter alcohol taste.The restaurant is nice downstairs and on the rooftop but the middle level is a bit unappealing to walk through.

We spent the day exploring around the acropolis and were very hungry. This restaurant was recommended. We walked to the restaurant and were there for an early dinner. We got very lucky and were able to get a table on the roof top right next to the corner with a perfect view of the acropolis. It was an unbelievable view. On the roof top you don't get access to the full menu - it is dinners only, not the bar menu. The food portions were large and the salmon was excellent! All or the other items we ordered were good as well. You can't beat this view!

Wonderful first meal in Greece. The service was exceptional, and the location was ideal for walking to the Acropolis after lunch. My friends enjoyed it so much, they wanted to come back for dinner.

We were able to get a seat without reservations and we loved our experience on the rooftop! We only had appetizers and drinks but everything was delicious and the view was fabulous. Service was a little slow as there was only 1 server at the time and about 10 tables. Not a deal breaker though.

From the large selection of Greek food to the amazing view of one of Greece’s most popular landmarks, this is the best restaurant to enjoy a nice dinner at. The service is friendly and quick. I had a great dining experience and even after my meal filled me up, I could not stop eating.

We visited the restaurant a few days ago. If you don't take into account that we refused water, but they brought it to us, spilled it and made us pay for it, everything was fine. Also found hair in the fish, but we had no problem replacing the fish with a new one, but it had a lot more bones than the previous one. And so the view is very beautiful, when booking indicated what table we prefer and it was taken into account. The rest of the food is delicious and there are no questions.

The view is breath taking. Entering to the restaurant, everything looks nice and luxurious, unfortunately some of the staff are not really nice. The host was really rude. If it wasn’t for our waiter, Stefanos, who was kind, I’d be putting 1 single star. The food was great, gourmet (small portions).

We arrived at 1 p.m. for our reservation, but the place seemed a bit abandoned at first — nobody greeted us at the door. After a while we went inside and found a waiter preparing tables, who told us we had to wait until everything was ready. It also took some time until we could place our order, but once we did, the waiting time until the food was served was perfectly fine. The waiter got a bit friendlier after he noticed we ordered a full meal and a nice bottle of wine. As the restaurant started to fill up, it became clear that one waiter alone wasn’t really enough, even though there weren’t that many guests yet. The food itself was okay — nothing exceptional, but enjoyable. The highlight is definitely the view, which makes the visit worthwhile. Would I recommend it? Yes, kind of — just make sure to bring enough time if you go there for lunch.

We love this place. The view is spectacular. Nothing to compare. We had peach Bellini and kir Royale to start the evening with our bread, olive oil and olives. Then we shared a spectacular salad as well as the sea bass fish of the day. For dessert we had chocolate souffle and vanilla ice cream. Waiters were attentive and we highly recommend it to everyone. I read some of the other reviews that were not as positive, but we were here on a Wednesday evening at the beginning of November. Not many people and we sat right at the edge of the wall outdoors looking at the Parthenon. We enjoyed the sunset and the transition to night time darkness.

We had a good time here, view was great, food was tasty and staffs are friendly and attentive. We are well aware the food is pricier but given the location, it's expected. Remember to make reservations in advance if you wana secure a good seat

We had the most amazing meal at this restaurant. Had one of the most beautiful views of the city. Our server, Stavros, was attentive and courteous and made the experience that much better. Take the funicular up the mountain ($13 euros round trip), they arrive every 15 minutes. We decided to sit outside, and despite the heat there is alot of wind at the top of the mountain. Recommend booking your reservation in advance as it fills up quickly.

i’ve been in this place with my family and we loved it. there aren’t many options in terms of grilled meat and fish, but food is very tasty, the waiters are super nice and the atmosphere will make you feel like home. you’ll find plenty of traditional dishes for all tastes. highly recommended

This restaurant is cozy and serves excellent traditional Greek food — a true little gem! The portions are generous; I had the Clay Pot Baked Moussaka (they also have a vegetarian option, but I went for the classic one) and it was absolutely delicious, definitely worth trying. The Greek salad was also excellent, and for just €0.40 they served warm, delicious pita! The wine we ordered was also excellent. To finish, they offered us some ice cream — the perfect way to end the meal ❤️.

Excellent food, attentive service, good prices. Fried anchovies was perfect and salad was delicious. Pastrami pie also did not disappoint. Having lunch there was the highlight of my day, recommended to everyone!

Very cheap restaurant yes, but the food was the worse we had after two weeks in Greece. The service was horrible, very rude waiters joking around with each other and ignore the customers. We received the wrong food and they didn’t even apologize; just took the food away as if we did something wrong. Eventually we did receive our orders but with such a delay that everything else was already cold on the table. Wouldn’t recommend at all, there are definitely better places with authentic kind people.

Very cute restaurant with amazing food! Best moussaka of my life. I also tried the vegetarian option and surprisingly, it was even better. Many locals where eating here and it felt like a real Greek taverna, not so touristic. I highly recommend it!

Beautiful decor with a relaxed vibe, and the food was delicious. Wish we were more hungry to try more dishes! We ordered the oven baked lamb, zucchini rolls, and the kebab - all very good, but I think the kebab was our favorite.

5 stars all round. Excellent service, delicious food, and tasteful décor. Thoughtful details like sanitised cutlery show real care. The chicken was tender and perfectly cooked in small cubes. The hand-cut chips were seasoned beautifully. They cater for groups of all sizes, though I recommend booking ahead if you want an outdoor table.

Recently stumbled upon this GEM on our honeymoon in Greece and wish we found it sooner. The food was amazing - best we had in all of Greece. Their calamari was to die for. Octopus was also amazing as well as their lamb orzo. The place was very busy and we did not have a reservation. They were able to seat us after waiting a few minutes. The server forgot to bring us water after asking 3 times for it, but we were happy to have a table. Food was worth it!!!

Before coming to Athens I did some research on good restaurants. Ella’s was on my list. So I went there on the first evening. The place is larger than expected. I could easily grab a chair. It has tables on both sides of the building and others inside (on street level and mezzanine). The food was delicious and the service was friendly and fast. With two glasses of wine, tap water, baked chick peas, pita bread, lamb orzo and octopus I ended up paying roughly 60 Euro, which is totally fair for the quality and average level for good places in Athens (to my experience).

First and foremost I would like to thank you for the great hospitality and the laidback atmosphere while serving fantastic food. We visited 3 or 4 times in a short time span, trying as much as we could. I can say hands down that everything we tried was fantastic, from the Giouvetsi, zucchini fritters, baked Feta to the absolutely mouthwatering Black Pork Souvlaki. The smell(and taste of course) of the latter will stick with me for probably a lifetime. Would also like to thank Nodas and the rest of the staff for the great service and conversation. We should have realised when we first walked in that the reviews do not do this place justice. We were greeted by a very impolite person and basically were treated as if it was a bother for them to even greet us even though we spoke in Greek. The food is very overrated and apart from the Domaldes which were tasty the rest of the food was very bland. Stay away from the octopus and scordalia there is no garlic in the scordalia and what is it with beetroot and the octopus definitely does not go. All meals did not live up to any of the previous reviews. Very much a tourist trap. And don’t start me on the service. The worst service out of all restaurants we have visited and as a Greek it was very disappointing. Would recommend to stay away there are a lot more pleasant and friendly restaurants in Athens

We have got a recommendation from friends to visit Ella during our girls trip and it was really worth it. The flavors were exceptional, fresh and modern. We enjoyed vegetarian food, the service was great and the location central and cosy. Our food tour guide also recommended the restaurant as one of her favorites and this should mean something as she was a professional chef in former days.

This is one of the best restaurants in Athens in my opinion. If you’re looking for authentic Greek food, you absolutely have to try this 120-year-old traditional spot. The decor is beautifully old-fashioned and charming. For those who enjoy a classic and nostalgic atmosphere while dining, this is the perfect place—right in the center of Athens. Prices are also very reasonable, around €20 per person or less.

Delicious, authentic Greek food. Every dish we had was 10/10 - well seasoned, large portions, great flavours. Staff were friendly, there were no lines/waiting time and meals were served quickly. Definitely would return, and absolutely would recommend.

Restaurant in one of these small alleys. As a starter I had dolmadakia which were pretty decent. As a main I had the home made souvlaki which was extraordinary. Service is great. Prices are pretty steep.

We stayed in Monastiraki for our vacation in Athens...a delightful mix of culture, sea, and good food, and I can definitely count "Krasopoulio" among the best restaurants in Athens. We savored authentic, traditional Greek cuisine using top-quality ingredients: from the exquisite moussaka to the homemade souvlaki and oven-baked feta cheese. Shrimps and the variety of starters were bursting with flavor. The main dishes, including the fettucce and the youvetsi were simply outstanding. The wine selection is phenomenal, offering both breadth and depth without being overwhelming. The service was flawless — professional, attentive, and wonderfully seamless. The staff worked together effortlessly and were almost invisible, appearing only when needed. Without a doubt, Vezene is a strong contender for a Michelin star. One of the best overall dining experiences of my life! I found this place by looking for a good steak in Athens. The reviews were good so I book a reservations. From the moment I entered the restaurant everything things started good and just got better. Ambience: The design is modern nature with lighting that accents the earth tones and naturalistic design. So when they say, “ come down in a garden” you definitely feel as in you have been set in a candle lit garden mixed with an umbrella elegant upscale restaurant! As the man out with a lady I am usually sitting in the chair as apposed to the bench, and of course these chair vary in comfort. At Vezene the chair was a solid wood frame with a leather fir. Leather cushion that made me want to order a set to take home. The bathroom was not only clean but design with every detail in mind. From the gap soap with a slight grit, to the small clothes to dry hands, and event the faucet was placed over a wooden slat sink that kept the natural design going. Service: The host, sommelier, server, server assistant, all were attentive and accommodating. We were recommended a wonderful small production semi-sweet muscat that was light fruit forward and delighted my guest. Our server went over recommendations and highlighted dishes that were staples and guest favorites. We followed her recommendation and were not disappointed by anything we tried. Plates and silverware were promptly reset for eat course. Wine and water was kept chill away from the table and refreshed as needed. Food: We tried at least 5 starters and a main dish, the core de beouef. My favorites were the pellet tomatoes with a roasted report dipping sauce and whipped cheese that was diving. And of course the Cote de beouf perfectly cooked medium sliced thin with roasted cauliflower, peppers, and garlic. Salted just so. For desert we have a dish that was moist chocolate cake with a ganaches, vanilla ice cream with winter spice, nuts. The combination of textures and layered flavors had my guest doing a little jig. Everyones taste are different so I will let the pictures speak to you. I can not recommend this restaurant enough!

Fantastic dinner in Athens! Fresh food served with a good balance between originality and tradition.

Food is delicious, everything tasted great and was well prepared and served. The texture of the fava and tarama were the smoothest ever. The Serrano chocolate dessert was wonderful! The only taste that was not impressive was the fish kebab which I don’t recommend. The service is very good, polite and friendly, atmosphere is pleasant and comfortable. Was a bit noisy but it was due to a crowded table for a company event. When they left the place proved its value for a wonderful dinner.

Fantastic experience, incredible value. We had the tasting menu - lots of classic Greek flavours but with really inventive twists. Highlights were the veal with orzo and the squid. They were very accommodating to make a few changes based on our preferences, and the wine pairings were a treat - not necessitating the wines we would have reached for but gave us a new appreciation for the variety in Greek wine.

Been there with dine athens which means we had a standard menu. The service was veeery slow.. we waited every dish for like half an hour (we were there for 1hour and a half after reservation and we had only some bread and a starter). The food was ok, everything was delicious but nothing special, the portions were vey small though. We ended up leaving the restaurant hungry and went to another place for burgers. It s too expensive for what it offers.

Fine dining at its very finest. Dropped by to grab a bite with my best friend during a special event-like offer that they had this September. We had an 8-course menu filled with extravagant delicacies, some notable ones being; a tuna tartar dish with avocado sauce and apple, a fish kebab with harissa and eggplant sauce and a perfectly cooked cod with beetroot and garlic sauce. Would positively recommend, their food is very well worth the price tag!

Honestly we were pretty excited for our last meal in Athens. My husband and I are huge foodies and we were super excited for their tasting menu. When we arrived, we couldn’t find the restaurant as there was no sign or number.. finally found the correct restaurant when a waitress from a different restaurant took pity on us and showed us where to go. Were led to a table when we came in and discovered their tasting menu was nowhere to be found. Not sure if this was a choice for them not to offer us this or if they weren’t offering it tonight, but that was a huge let down. Food was decent, sommelier tried his best, but the rest of the service felt completely cold and uncaring. Waited forever for our check with no explanation as to why it took so long after asking. Very disappointing final night in Athens. I would definitely consider looking elsewhere for your food while you’re here. I feel mislead by the other reviews. Hopefully if you decide to go here, you experience one of their “on” nights.

Food was decent. It was our first gyro in Greece but definitely not the best. Line took a while and the food was good but could have been better. Fries were super soggy. Pita was also delicious

Best kebab pita of my trip. Bit of a wait (maybe 10-15 minutes), but the line moves quickly, and the meal is well worth the wait. They have some outdoor seating, which was filled when I was there, but the restaurant is located in a square with many seating spaces.

We tried the pita beef souvlaki. The place only sells souvlaki, not gyros, just to know. There are pork and beef options. I liked the souvlaki, the meat was soft, tasty and juicy, and the pita was very soft too. You should come here for a delicious souvlaki.

Fresh ingredients, very tiny bbq plancha so long lines to get a gyro. And as they do Wolt (equivalent of UberEats or Deliveroo) it becomes very long lines pretty fast Good gyro but does it worth waiting 20-30min when u can get one as good elsewhere not far ? Not sure

Hands down, best gyro spot in Athens. For being in the dead city center, its prices are impressively cheap and its food is very delicious. The founder has been there for several decades and he was there when we went. We just asked him to make us something he recommended and thought we would like. He made us a beef gyro with a tomato sauce that I haven’t tried anywhere else. The beer is also $1.50 and well worth it. During lunch and dinner time, there will definitely be a line. The food comes out very fast.

Tasty well rounded meal. Nice atmosphere in the city centre Plaka close to ancient site. Also very well decorated interior. They serve meat as well as seafood. I had missed some sauce with meat. Service could be better though. For a very very demanding customer I should say it is not anything "special" 😋

I had lunch with this restaurant with five friends. Food is very good. We ordered Salmon, grilled shrimp, Octopus, Cod fish and salad. Food is tasty every dishes.

Great Restaurant in Athens. Very empathic and customer oriented service, delicious fresh made food with a small menu card. I like that stuff much better cause then you don't have a too big choice and the meals are freshly cooked and well prepared. Also the style of the interior is creative open that you can see the kitchen and how its cooked and also a warm and comfortable atmosphere where you feel very well. I would recommend very much 😊

The staff spoke great English and were very attentive of clearing empty plates, filling up water etc (side note: it was at 10pm and there were like 4-5 more tables that were leaving shorty afterwards) The food was very tasty and very beautifully presented

I really wanted to like this place and for the most part, it was a good dining experience. Reservations were easy to make over Facebook and we were seated promptly at our reservation time. Service was pretty good overall. I was seated towards the street side and one of the waiters told me to put my camera on the inside to be safe. Sure enough, later in the dinner we saw some suspect kids that were roaming around eyeing the customers. Onto the dishes... 1) marinated anchovies/sardines was flavorful and refreshing 2) fresh fish carpaccio was light and fresh 3) fried calamari is what you'd expect, the crust was extra crispy which I liked 4) lemon tart dessert was really good, not sweet but tart, just how I like my desserts. If you're familiar with the Mexican spice, Tajin, we felt like there was a lot of that going on -- a slightly sour/spicy spice that was sprinkled over our dishes. Our issue with dinner was with the octopus dish and how it was handled. The tentacle came out and it looked great. However, after I started cutting it into smaller bite size pieces, I could tell it was really really tough. This was the tail end of our trip to multiple islands in Greece and we've had our share of octopus dishes. None were as tough as this. The group next to us ordered the same thing and had the same comments. We didn't even finish the dish and only ate the most tender parts we could get. This pushed me to say something about it to our waitress. While I expected an apology and an offer to bring out a new dish or to remove it from the bill, all she said was "oh, that's because it was grilled, it can be tough sometimes". NOT the answer we expected at all. Even if you didn't remove it from my bill, at least offer a new dish or an apology. Anyhow, there's potential here and obviously some food was worth a visit but I'm personally staying away because of the service.

What an amazing spot! In the heart of Plaka and a really modern twist to seafood style cuisine. Very reasonably priced for the quality of food you get. Everything was very fresh and one of the best service we’ve received in Greece! Highly recommended.

Restaurant interior is lovely and so was the atmosphere. We ordered one pasta and one pizza. Pasta was mediocre - wanna be Italian, quite disappointing. Pizza was lovely though - delicious dough. Service was fast and waiters were attentive, although one of the waiters was slightly rude but the others made up for it, hence the 4/5 for service.

I had the salmon Benedict, the sauce was thick and creamy but lacked flavor. The salmon was decent but I took off parts that looked expired. The salad was old. Coffee was good.

Such a delightful restaurant—couldn’t rate it more highly. We had dinner on their charming outdoor patio. The service was quick and friendly, and there wasn’t a single thing on the menu we didn’t want to eat. We went with the mushrooms to start (it’s a big portion!) and then the chicken supreme (the black rice with it is incredible) and turkey patties. We didn’t have room for dessert but those all looked fantastic as well. Something to come back for…

Milos is the ideal location for authentic and elevated Greek cuisine. The entire staff were friendly, courteous, and provided suggestions and answered questions when we weren’t familiar with something. We enjoyed an entire Dorado grilled with lemon, olive oil, and capers. The fish is super-fresh because you can pick out which one you want! Sides and salads showcase what is best about Greek cuisine: how delicious food can be with simple and fresh ingredients. Roasted potatoes might be the best I’ve ever had. Located only a few blocks from Syntagma Square, you can count on Milos for an authentic and refined dinner while in Athens. Look carefully for the sign, it’s easy to miss. I walked past it.

Having previously experienced the excellence of MILOS in New York, I arrived at their Athens location with high expectations – and they were not just met, but exceeded! This upscale restaurant truly knows how to showcase the best of the local waters with a tastefully crafted menu. Each dish is masterfully prepared, delivering amazing flavors in every bite without being overly complex. The grilled octopus was an absolute revelation and easily one of the best I've ever had. Don't skip the cocktails; their Old Fashioned comes highly recommended. The chic interiors and understated class create a wonderful dining atmosphere.

An amazing experience. The staff couldn’t be more helpful and knowledgeable, they didn’t have the wine I wanted but their suggestion was next level and amazing. The foods were presented amazing and cooked perfectly, flavours were out of this world, and every course unique!

Very nice atmosphere, but… the food was average for the price, different areas of Athens suggest the same “market” seafood for much cheep value. The quality was not as high level for beep Michelin restaurant , the waiter forgot to bring us one dish. Not reasonable

Second visit to Athens and The Hills—once again, they blew me away! First came here three years ago with my son after the Acropolis. This time, back with the whole family for our 25th anniversary, and it was the standout experience of our trip. Gorgeous outdoor seating with jaw-dropping views of the Acropolis—unbeatable when it’s lit up at night. Food? Spectacular. Service? Even better. Clyde and Marcos are world-class, and I’ve dined all over the globe. Book ahead, get there by 8 PM, and enjoy one of the most unforgettable nights in Athens.

Very lovely relaxed dining experience and had a table looking out over the acropolis. We were here for 3.5 hours, having and 3 course meal and drinks. No pressure from waiting staff. Some of the wines were out of stock but the waiter brought us some very different and interesting options to choose from. Very reasonable price for what we ate and drank.

My group and I had the most amazing experience, and the food was absolutely terrific. This was our first dinner reservation of our trip and it really set the tone. The owner introduced himself to us and was super gracious…without asking he gave us recommendations for things throughout our stay. The entire staff was great and the food was A+!

An absolutely incredible experience and a complete must for anyone visiting Athens. I scored a last minute reservation and had a sunset dinner in the garden under pomegranate with a direct view of the acropolis. Food and service were 10/10. So not miss this place!

Great spot in Athens! The restaurant is very well located, and the terrace area is super pleasant to sit in. The menu is just right – not too short, not overwhelming – and I really enjoyed a delicious marinated fish tartare and a grilled sea bream. Service was very good and relatively quick, even though I wasn’t in a rush. As a nice touch, I was offered some small cakes for dessert, which were excellent. Prices are very fair: I only paid €26 for both dishes plus a bottle of sparkling water. Everyone speaks perfect English, which makes things even easier. Definitely a place I recommend, and I’ll be happy to come back!

The sardines were crispy and full of flavor, the tomato salad was sunshine on a plate, and the special fish of the day was perfection. Every dish felt fresh, thoughtful, and beautifully balanced. The service was warm and genuine — friendly faces, quick attention, and a real sense of hospitality. You can tell the team here truly loves what they do, and it shows in every plate and every smile. Barbounaki manages to feel both casual and refined — the kind of place where you instantly relax but still feel like you’re treating yourself. We’ll absolutely be back. The food, the vibe, the people — this is Athens at its best.

Great Kolonaki neighbourhood restaurant for fresh seafood. Book in the busy times though. Excellent Greek wine by the glass at Australian prices ($16 glass) not cheap but quality is worth it. Professional, friendly staff that know their food and wines. The red mullet was excellent. Fresh and perfectly cooked. Greek salad a good one.

I’m a member of the Arts Club nearby and I walked by so many times but this was my first time eating here. It was a more than pleasant experience; great waiters, great food and a wonderful sommelier who gave an excellent suggestion of a wine. Delicious Mediterranean food in a great atmosphere. We’ll be back!

Just a 10-minute walk from Syntagma Square, this place is a real find. They serve modern Greek dishes in a relaxed, welcoming setting. The service was super friendly and really attentive — we felt well taken care of the whole time. We had homemade bread with a tasty dip to start, then a fresh salad and baked feta (so good!). For mains, we tried the burger, some fish, and the moussaka — everything was delicious. If you’re in Athens and looking for great Greek food with a modern twist, definitely Check this place out.

We were delighted to find a table available early this evening on our last day in Athens. I wanted to try rooster and it was absolutely scrumptious. The wine sauce was very flavorful and I loved the small egg pasta. We also had the mushrooms with greens, Pork tenderloin, daily cheese pie and Greek salad. All the dishes were presented beautifully and so flavorful. The waiters were very welcoming and helpful. It was by far the best restaurant we've been to across the Peloponnese coast and Athens.

Nice, easy but elegant ambience and decor. Zucchini balls - bit of fried ice cream shell containing a good amount of well seasoned shredded zucchini. Could have had more yogurt dip, which was nice. Chicken fillet souvalaki - generous portion for 1 or 2 to share. Good flavour! . Good dish. Dessert - Kataifi with ice cream -fail. Deconstructed version. Tiny bits of angel hair broke onto large amount of cream and then ice cream with syrup - complete mess . They should take this off the menu or stick with the traditional version.

Great food. We had appetizers and wine. The baked feta was excellent. The Greek salad was top notch. The dipping sauces were delicious. The homemade bread was perfect. The Xinomavro red house wine was medium bodied and excellent.

We were looking for something light for lunch and chose this spot after reading reviews about its modern twist on Greek cuisine. We ordered the Greek salad and Kataifi cheese balls with tomato jam—both were delicious. The service was fantastic, and to top it off, we were treated to complimentary dessert wine served in beautiful tiny glasses, along with some adorable almond bites. A delightful experience all around.

When we got there, we noticed immediately the pleasent athmosphere and welcomed with kind service. The dishes are amazing. Ordered the pulled lamb and "lemon chicken" plus some fries which were mind-blowingly great. We drank some local white wine, which was very fruity and light. Seat reservation is recommended. Overall we can only recommend this magnificent restaurant 10/10.

Fantastic neighborhood cafe. Friend you lives nearby recommended it and it did not disappoint. Lunch was delicious, so we of course overate. Good house wines. Cozy interior with cafe outdoor seating that is uncovered. Server said lunch hours and midday were best to visit because reservations were nearly never needed.

Honestly, give this place a Michelin star already. Stumbled across Aster in Athens and… what a find. Tucked away in a neighbourhood that gives off big Newtown (Sydney) vibes — all locals, barely a tourist in sight (except me). Chill, cool atmosphere where people clearly come to unwind after work. Everyone speaks English perfectly, but you still feel like you’re getting the proper local experience. Now the food… absolutely next level. There was one chef in the kitchen (yep, just one), and somehow they were sending out dishes like they had an army back there. The pulled lamb was melt-in-your-mouth good, the burrata was creamy perfection, and the lemon chicken? Might’ve shed a tear, not gonna lie. Everything was so well done it felt like the chef was putting on a performance — but without the wank. No fuss, just ridiculously good food. Hidden gem doesn’t even cover it. If you’re in Athens and not eating here, you’re doing it wrong.

Great experience! The food is delicious and very fresh: the service was also good, the waiters were super nice. I took the cheese balls (special of the day) and the dakos with avocado, but the dakos was so big i could have taken only that! There are a couple vegetarian options, so this place is great to accomodate a friend group of both meat eaters and vegetarians.

This place was just 50 yards from our apartment but in a neighbourhood full of amazing looking restaurants this stood out. This was mainly thanks to the friendly hello from a member of staff enjoying his lunch after the customers had left. He remembered us 5 hours later and we enjoyed three plates of the most delicious, unfussy food at unbeatable prices. Sat among nothing but locals, this is how to do Athens.

Lovely experience in this local family restaurant. Everything is very nice: service, atmosphere and, of course food. The menu is quite innovative with fresh fish and brave flavours. Nothing will leave you still. Price is very decent too. I recommend the stuffed squid with tomato and feta cheese as well as the octopus ok any kind. Be aware that only some plates of the menu are available according to the products so ask first what's in for the day!

The food was incredible (definitely try the Calamari and Meze plater), great drinks and we were all so full without feeling glutted. The service was so on point (real family vibes), 💯 will be coming back next visit to Athens.

No regrets walking half an hour there for a dinner from downtown Athens. This place serves very fresh food prepared in the most delicate way. The server is extremely honest and sincere with the recommendations. Extremely worth it for the price vs quality ratio. Will definately return when back in Athens.

I visited this restaurant for lunch shortly after it opened on a weekday. My order was taken right away, and the service was fast—though to be fair, there were only four other customers. I ordered a Greek salad and a portion of grilled lamb chops. The lamb was well-cooked and served with fries, while the salad was generously dressed with oil. Both dishes were flavorful, and I was satisfied. Portions are quite large, so if you're dining alone, one dish might be enough. They also brought out a free dessert at the end of the meal.

Wow ! Mavros Gatos is far one of the best Greek grill tavern i’ve eaten in Athens. Lamb chops are fantastic. Meatballs was juicy and super tasty. Be aware portions are huge. Special mansion for Fava ( mashed fava beans, olive oil, red onions) if your intention to go there summer, try to book street tables. Reservations are must. And one gossip about it, this place is favorite for the Greek politicians. You know politicians always eats best:)

A taverna with excellent food and atmosphere. Big variety of barbeque and rather big selection of meat. Everything cooked to perfection. A must try if around the area.

Its the second time we have eaten here. this time we shared a beef stake that was great, tzaziki that was the best we had in Athens, french fries and the house white wine. previously we had also the lamb chops and other kinds of meat and salads, everything was very tasty. the location is about 2 km from the city center but we enjoyed the walk and the opportunity to see another outside the touristic area.

We visited the place on a Saturday for lunch , 2people. We were very lucky to find a table. Should you decide to visit, best to make sure to reserve. Our chooses were the simplest in the menu: pork steak veal steaks and burger. All we tried were of good quality and good value for money. We recommend it and would visit again! The only thing we did not like is that there was a lot of noise. This, if the temperature is ok I would recommend to sit outside.

The biggest regret was coming here and not being hungry enough. Skip the Greek salad to leave more room for the seafood dishes. This is simple no fuss seafood that is cooked to bring out the flavors. The seafood risotto looked particularly good but unfortunately as I mentioned I was too full, but I would say definitely try that.

Fried cod fish - Portion is quite small but I like the fish 7/10 Risotto shrimp/mussels - 7.5/10 The risotto tastes different from the usual taste you would expect. The mussels are good Grilled sea bass - 8/10. Quite good but vegetables a little plain Grilled sea brim- 7/10. Fresh, love the olive oil dip, but the fish itself is so so Price point is a little more expensive. Possible alternative if you don’t wanna eat gyros anymore

A very nice seafood restaurant. For three people we ordered sea bass, pasta w. Shrimp and Shrimp Saganaki, as well as kalamari(octopus), fried anchovies and a Greek salad. Definitely way too much food, but it tasted lovely. We especially liked the Saganaki, the Greek salad and Kalamari🙌🏻 the pasta was a bit bland (would not recommend) everything else was lovely and tasty, and the house wine was crisp and cold. Stick with maybe a couple sharing plates or one main dish person with a sharing salad. The servers were absolutely lovely🙌🏻 Would come again.

Loved this place so much that I visited it thrice during my 5-day trip in Athens. The seafood tastes fresh. The house wine or Nissos beer are also great, and the complimentary dessert they provide is perfect. If you love seafood, this is the place. Their prices are reasonable, the food is quality, and the service is excellent.

The seafood was incredibly fresh — the grilled sea bream (tsipoura) and the shrimp pasta were especially delicious. We were seated right away, the server was really friendly and welcoming, they even helped us to restock the ice when it’s all used up, which was amazing. The food was absolutely divine, the sea bass was tender and fresh, the seafood risotto and shrimp pasta was packed with flavour and very well seasoned. The squid was fresh and the sauce accompanied it very well. However, the mussels weren’t very fresh. But the complimentary dessert made it up. Overall amazing delicious food and very good service. Highly recommended.

It has been a fantastic experience. From top to bottom. I made reservations from online but then I called online to make sure . They noted my name and by the time I was there , they were all prepared. Make sure that you go on time or make reservation by phone. Caciki, Dolma , calamari and octopus was fantastic. Service was spectacular . Every person in that restaurant deserves a five star. Very strongly recommended

Great restaurant, great food, amazing service level. The appetizer I chose was delicious - bonito with sesame seeds and soy sauce. The main was orzo with shrimps and man, was that tasty. Great experience, but a bit over priced.

A high quality meal that had rich and deep flavors. I got the scallops and risotto with their stuffed grape leaves. Would come back again. Staff was professional, food service was quick. The spanish chocolate creme burlee was the cherry on top.

Great little find in a quiet corner of the ancient Centre. If you’re looking for a change from the typical traditional tavernas and want to escape the crowds of Plaka, Monastiraki and even now, Psiri, then this little Greek bistro is producing some really delicious food with a nice, relaxing ambience in Koukaki.

A gem of a chance find. ⭐️ One of the most exceptional tuna steaks ever. Perfectly seared, paired with sautéed greens with the tastiest of dresssing- the 🥩 almost looked like beef. Paired with a great bottle of rosé. Deliciousness. Amazing taste, service. Wish we could have tried more dishes but it was a nightcap stop for us. Glad we did. Highly recommended for a pinned location in Koukaki, Athens. 👍

One of our favorite meals in Athens! We started with a bunch of appetizers including the ceviche, mussels and vine leaves - all 3 were very tasty! For mains we had tuna steak, special fish 🐠 of the day, scallop risotto and an octopus 🐙 linguine. Everything was delicious. To top it off the chef gave us complimentary desserts - Mille feuille and chocolate crème brûlée! Let’s just say we finished both! Highly recommend for a nicer meal as a family so you can try all the delicious dishes! Thank you chef!

The menu is small but grilled fish was good. excellent wine recommendation from the waitor. The price is slightly higher than similar restaurants near by.

The main dish of the day which was octopus sous vide with fava (split peas pure) and balsamic vinegar. Really satisfied with the quality of the food, very fresh ingredients and well presented plates. 100% recommended.

We treated ourselves to a fabulous lunch here. Food options are fresh and healthy. The service was great and fast. We opted for grilled fish, mixed veg, the fried squid and beet salad. The fish curry soup was the most amazing dish but everything was absolutely delicious!

We booked the Fish Market restaurant through the Google Maps application at lunch time. You can select your fresh seafood from the restaurant, which is placed on the ice shelf, and choose how you want it to be cooked. They also have a menu for other dishes.

A very interesting place! A colleague recommended it, and we decided to check it out — what could be better than fresh seafood in Greece? We got there in just 10 minutes. The selection isn’t huge but definitely good: oysters, scallops, calamari, and several types of fish. The best part is that whatever you choose, they prepare it right in front of you on an open grill. We went for oysters and Barbounia (red mullet) with a glass of wine — all together it cost €35. The oysters were excellent: fresh, flavorful, and beautifully served. The fish was simply amazing! The sauce, however, felt too sour for my taste — it overpowered the natural flavor of the fish instead of complementing it. Highly recommend this place! I’ll definitely come back to try more.

Dinner for the four of us, booked online but didn't need to on the night. Very friendly staff, great counter to choose the fish from(we shared 1 large 1 between the four of us). Staff suggested just the right amount of starter/sides based on fish size(beetroot salad with a delicous cheese and amasing fied kalimari). All of the food was cooked to perfection especially the fish. Definatly worth a visit and amasing value for money!
