Best souvlaki in Athens ! You definitely have to go there. Each sandwich is really cheap. Souvlaki is not that big so I recommend ordering at least two per person (but you will order more because it’s so good). Meat is delicious, juicy and well seasoned. Very friendly staff, family atmosphere. Many if simple (attached) but you don’t need anything more. Don’t go there right before closing time because they can be sold out. It’s a must visit! Highly recommend

The BEST souvlaki place in whole of Athens! I first ordered one souvlaki as I wasn’t really hungry. As soon as I took the first bite I knew I would get another one. The meatballs in the souvlaki were very bouncy and juicy. The staff were happy that I came back and they made a new one straight away. If you are in the neighborhood try to swing by!

Amazing traditional souvlaki spot! You can really taste the quality and history here - they’ve been serving since 1951, and it shows. The meat is juicy and flavorful, the pita is soft, and everything feels authentically Greek. Perfect place for a quick, delicious bite in the city. Definitely one of the best souvlakis around!

Honestly the cheapest and best souvlaki I have had till date. This place only serves one dish- Beef souvlaki. If a place serves only one dish, you can imagine the confidence they have on their single item menu. The place is always crowded but service is fast. You will have to stand outside and eat. The beef was melt in the mouth and bread was soft and juicy. Reason, while the beef is being grilled, the bread is kept on top of the beef thus making sure it sucks all the juices from the beef making it soft and fluffy! The prices are unbelievable too! Single beef kebab on bread was 2.5 € and double beef kebab was 3.8 €. I don’t know how they keep prices so low, obviously it’s a volume game which u can see with the crowd flocking!

In my opinion, Lefteris O Politis serves one of the best souvlaki in Athens. The place is ironically as "Spartan" as it gets—simple, no-frills, but incredibly efficient and fast. The focus is entirely on the food, and it delivers. What I appreciated most was the ability to customise both the amount of meat and the level of spices, making each souvlaki just right for personal taste. Since we were waiting for dinner, we only had one each, but it was enough to appreciate the quality and flavour. The meat was perfectly grilled, well-seasoned, and wrapped in soft pita with just the right balance of onions and tomatoes. The overall experience was excellent, and I highly recommend stopping by—preferably on an empty stomach, so you can truly enjoy more than just one.

It’s an open kitchen, so if you sit inside, you get to see the chefs while making your meal. The taste was amazing, we had 3 different pitas and all of them tasted amazing.🤩 Highly recommended! We’ll go there again before we fly back home because its amazing taste. The service was okay.

One of the best places to taste Greek street food. They do it differently than the traditional Gyros and Souvlak places. The main thing is that their products are really tasteful. I had the pita with Mutton which i have never taste it anywhere this waybin Greece. It was really good. I am big fan of Mutton meat so I definitely recommend it. The prices are higher than other similar places but you pay the quality and how much tasteful their products are. Don’t miss it if it happens to be around.

Hoocut was the first place I ate at when I arrived in Athens and also the last one before leaving! That alone says a lot. Everything was just perfect from the meat and sauces to the bread and service. The staff were super friendly, and the flavors were simply unforgettable. Ate Gyros for at least a meal a day for my entire trip in Greece. This has the be the best gyros in Athens, might even be Greece. First of all, they don’t put fries in the gyros. It comes as a side. This difference already sets it apart from the other gyros and improves the overall flavour of the gyros without the greasiness from the fries Secondly, it’s has an excellent meat, vegetable and sauce ratio. In other places, you would get too little meat, and too much sauce. The cucumbers and onions were fresh and thinly sliced. Every bite comes with a crunch. The meat so juicy and flavourful Lastly, the pita bread. They were roasted fresh on the spot. It’s crunch on the outside and fluffy on the inside. It’s not bread. It’s roti prata without the buttery taste. The gyros is amazingly delicious. Best of all, it’s only 3.7 EUR per gyros and you get a hearty, healthy meal. You know this place is good. When you see crowds outside a little shop in a dingy neighbourhood. This is a takeaway shop

A lovely local gyros spot. We got there really early because most reviews suggested they’re wiped clean before 9. I’m glad that we did because even then the wait time was about 15 minutes as there was already a short line forming. The premises are nothing special, though that just adds to the authentic feel imo. The pita gyros itself was superb as well.

Worth of trying the food here. You can have a typical famous gyros, but instead of meat, with mushrooms inside. The mushrooms, mushy but also crunchy making them a great substitute of meat. Also the vegan sauces are really good here.

This was our very first meal in Athens during the heat wave, and my son couldn’t have picked a better spot. It’s in the busy area by Monastiraki Square, but the service is super fast. The yogurt kebab was juicy and packed with flavor, and the Greek salad tasted so fresh. Portions are generous, the beer was ice-cold, and the lively vibe made the crazy heat much easier to handle. Such a great start to our trip. Highly recommend!

I had the yogurtlu kebab, and it was tasty and full of flavor. The portion size was huge, and although the prices are high, it was okay considering the restaurants location and the big portion size. The place was packed and had a lively vibe. We also got tzatziki, pita bread to dip in the tzatziki, and red wine, all of which were good. Due to its touristic location, the restaurant might look like a tourist trap, but they actually serve delicious food.

The meat I ate at Thanasis Kebab was generally juicy and cooked to the right consistency, but it was quite salty for my taste. The plus points of the place were the large portions and the well-cooked meat. Despite being ranked 46th among the top 100 restaurants on Taste Atlas and 1st in Greece, I personally don't think it deserves these scores in terms of price, service, or taste. Best kebab pita of my trip. Bit of a wait (maybe 10-15 minutes), but the line moves quickly, and the meal is well worth the wait. They have some outdoor seating, which was filled when I was there, but the restaurant is located in a square with many seating spaces.

Hands down, best gyro spot in Athens. For being in the dead city center, its prices are impressively cheap and its food is very delicious. The founder has been there for several decades and he was there when we went. We just asked him to make us something he recommended and thought we would like. He made us a beef gyro with a tomato sauce that I haven’t tried anywhere else. The beer is also $1.50 and well worth it. During lunch and dinner time, there will definitely be a line. The food comes out very fast.

The souvlaki itself was delicous, juicy meat. Fries had no taste. Prices quite affordable which surprised us. But the staff could hardly speak english and their interest in us was non existent. Also, the seating inside was awful. Other than souvlaki meat, it was all mediocre at best.

I recently dined at this Michelin-starred restaurant and overall had a good experience. The atmosphere struck a nice balance of elegant yet relaxed, and dining outdoors added a special touch that made the evening enjoyable. The food was truly the highlight. The Pollock was my favorite dish of the evening, perfectly executed and full of flavor. I also really appreciated the amuse-bouche, which set a wonderful tone even before the bread was served. Across the menu, dishes were consistently well-crafted and made the price feel justified — the culinary side of the experience was excellent. Where the restaurant fell short was in the service. While the staff was approachable and discreet, they provided very little information about the dishes or the wine pairings. At times it almost felt as if they weren’t familiar with what they were serving, which was a bit disappointing for a restaurant at this level. The pacing of the meal, was well managed, but can’t believe we were sharing our ice bucket with two more tables 😨 When we arrived, the table and plates had some debris from the trees I think the service could be improved to match the high standard set by the kitchen. A little more engagement and knowledge from the staff would elevate the entire experience.

My experience at Spondi was mixed. Let’s start with the setting: for a high-end restaurant, the ambiance felt rather average. Small, classic tables, nothing extraordinary, nothing that really immerses you. It’s worthy of a Michelin-starred restaurant, but let’s say it’s not a deal-breaker. After all, I came for the food, not for Instagram-style décor. Still, it’s worth mentioning. Now, on to the cuisine. The beginning was excellent: the amuse-bouche of wagyu beef and arugula cigar was incredible. The duck that followed was also very good. However, the fourth course, lobster with peanut curry, was a disaster in my opinion. The flavor combination was, frankly, unpleasant—I couldn’t finish the dish. Perhaps it’s a matter of personal taste, but I found it poorly conceived. Aside from that, the rest of the savory dishes were solid. Where the experience truly collapsed was the dessert. The phrase “ending on a high note” definitely did not apply here. The mignardises were disappointing, including a melon and Espelette pepper candy that was simply unpleasant. The final coffee-based cake felt like something from a random neighborhood patisserie in the Paris suburbs—far from Michelin standards. The lemon dessert and the ice cream were also just average, again below expectations. The entrée was excellent, the main courses were overall solid, but the dessert ruined the entire experience. And that matters, because as people often say: guests remember the ending. I left with a bitter aftertaste—literally. For a bill of €160, which represents nearly a quarter of the average monthly salary in Greece, one expects a far more uplifting and memorable finale. On a positive note, I must highlight the impeccable service. The staff were extremely professional, both in their explanations and in the pacing of the meal. Overall, I would give this restaurant 14/20. The beginning of the meal was very promising, but the ending fell far short. I personally would not return, mainly because of the desserts, though I can acknowledge that the overall dining experience had strong qualities.

Sitting inside can give one the feeling that there is lack of privacy, due to the fact that the place is small and a large number of staff is gathered very close to the tables.

I went recently after some years for a business meeting and everything was amazing! ULTRA excellent, discrete and friendly stuff, amazing dishes and pastry (their pastry chefs should also open a boulangerie in Athens as the pastry was in another universe, similar to ones i had at the best boulangeries in Paris), deserts, main courses, drinks and the ambience of the restaurant were exceptional. Would recommend it 100% Let’s hope next year you reach your second star, why not a Third ⭐️/ as you certainly have the team and capacity to do so!!

We came across Kalamaki Bar by chance after reading some reviews. The place has a modern look and a pleasant atmosphere. The pork and chicken souvlaki were tasty, though surprisingly served without pita, and the buffalo burger was underwhelming. Service was a bit slow, and overall there are many better options if you want a more authentic Greek experience.

A nice, atmospheric bar with delicious food. The seafood, kebabs, and other grilled meats are delicious and juicy. The staff speaks English, and there's a menu in English. The prices are reasonable, and the restrooms are clean and smell nice. I highly recommend to try the Kalamaki salad.

Great food and atmosphere. Came here on our first night in Athens. The servers are nice. When you walk up to the large menu, they will let you sit anywhere you’d like or accommodate you to your party size. The kalamaki bar salad was delicious. Also the sausage and the skewer meats were very tasty.

Dinner here was the best meal we had in Athens. On Drakou Street, Kalamaki is one of the few good places in this area we wished we could return to. The staff is friendly and made some helpful suggestions. We had a terrific Greek salad of tomatoes and feta (IMO the Greek salad is a sign of how much care a restaurant takes) It was GOOD. The corn pita was superb, eaten too fast to photograph! The dish of olives was great, and we had a divine baked eggplant with diced bell peppers, wild rice, and souvlaki skewers of BBQ pork and chicken, perfectly cooked. The house red wine was good and reasonably priced. Kudos to the staff and chef, they do things right! PS, the bill for our feast was only 36 euros. Highly recommend.

Superb restaurant with a wide variety of dishes. The Greek salad was delicious and the various kebab sticks were really great. The Halloumi kebab stick was also a personal favourite. The spicy feta dip also paired very well with olive oil and the bread. The olives are listed as ‘olive oil’ on the menu. The setting was nice with good outdoor/indoor seating. Really good service and would certainly return. It does get busy with locals (a good sign) and they offer a takeout service, if you would rather take something back to your hotel. Good beer menu.

We only ordered the chicken gyros for lunch. The gyro was packed and tasted delicious; the regular size gyro was filling for the both of us. We went around 1pm and there was a line but it goes by quick. Limited seating outside and a few tables upstairs; we were able to quickly get a table upstairs compared to the outside seating (FYI there is no AC so it does get warm inside).

A recommended place that serves one of the best gyros. Unfortunately, I didn't find anything exceptional in terms of flavor. Maybe I was expecting a wow factor, but it was just meat and vegetables in a flatbread. There is always a long queue outside this place but for good reason as the wraps are so good! We went at around 10pm and the line was a lot shorter than in the day. The halloumi wrap was absolutely delicious so I can see why this place is viral.

Lokks good, but definitely not the best pita in the city. The fries are over-fried and oily, there’s very little sauce, and the pita itself is rubbery. Go to the Kerameikos area and grab any pita there — it will be much better. As for seating: there are three tables upstairs, but not enough chairs, and the floor is slippery and greasy.

We visited this place twice during our trip in Athens. The first time we got the carbonara and the club sandwich. The carbonara was nice, but the club sandwich was just okay. It didn’t seem so fresh. However, the second time we were AMAZED. It’s as if there was a new cook or chef in the house. The club sandwich looked nothing like the first time. It was DELICIOUS, a much bigger portion and seemed so fresh and warm compared to the first time. The pastitsio was also incredibly delicious!! And portions were BEYOND generous the second time. I also tried their praline and it was yummy! Overall it’s definitely worth a visit, and I’m glad we gave it a second chance. Definitely one of the best vegan spots in athens. What makes this place unique is that there’s seems to be a lot of thought in the meal composition: organic tofu, organic soy mince and gluten free pasta. This is very rare in the vegan food industry, but very important because vegans need to get enough protein from high quality foods without compromising taste and pleasure.

We went here for a delicious smoothie! I had the white smoothie and my wife had the yellow smoothie. The white smoothie was nice and creamy due to the cashews. My wife’s smoothie was slightly less sweet, but still tasty. €7.50 is quite pricey for a smoothie, but it was delicious. The food options on the menu look great as well. There are lots of places to sit inside or outside.

This is such an amazing Vegan Restaurant in Athens with a lot of Greek Dishes and a really cool Logo. Kind of looks like a Vegan Rebell ✌️ I had the Veganaki Special, which came with an amazing vegan Feta, Salad, Fries and some Mung Bean Patties. And my friend had the Vegan Moussaka. Both of them were really yummy.

I’ve gone to Veganaki twice so far on my visit to Athens and it’s been amazing both times. Prices are amazing for the fresh, delicious, and healthy food you are getting. One morning I ordered a small portion of their avocado salad and also their breakfast omelet. The vegan “feta” that came on the side of the omelet was so good. For dinner i ordered their salad that had fig, feta, and mushrooms definitely one of my favorite things i had as well as the souvlaki wrap with tempeh and I ordered side of the fava beans.

Server was very friendly and attentive. There’s a great range of choices here for vegans. If I had the chance I would’ve revisited to work through more of the menu. Food is on the pricier side in my experience, but I’m happy to spend a bit more to support an all vegan business.

Sadly they pfe cook their skewers, if I go to it to a souvlaki only restaurant I would perfer to have it made fresh... Not into steps cooked so it's faster. Also the portion of fries I ordered extra was supper small compared to my three skewer... And then they also forgot to give my Tzatziki.

We really enjoyed our meal here and had the chicken and pork souvlaki. The meat was cooked fresh over a charcoal grill, and you could taste the difference that this made compared to a gas grill. The portions were very reasonable for the price. It was around 2.5 euros per skewer, which also included fries and some bread, and we'd recommend around 2-3 skewers per person. The Elvis theme of the restaurant was also very cool. Overall, this restaurant has a prime location in Monastiraki/Psyri, which cannot be beat for the price and quality of the food!

I had the Chicken Skewers, I guess they were called Kalamakia and it was juicy and tasty. Fries and 2 slices of bread was served with a single skewer for just 2.50 euros. I love the street foods in Athens ❤️

Very juicy, yummy souvlaki. We went here starving at 1AM straight from the airport and we left the place full and satisfied. Could not believe that we only spent 12euros for a delicious dinner for two! I am coming back to Athens in April 2025 and will definitely go back in this little gem. Update: I came back here 1May25 and the kalamaki is still delicious as always.

I honestly don’t understand how this place has such high ratings. We sat down, waited, and no one brought us a menu. Eventually, we had to get up and grab it ourselves. Then a staff member came to our table and spoke to us in an incredibly rude and impatient manner, as if we were bothering him just by being there. He answered our questions with visible annoyance and brought the food and water by practically slamming them on the table. Even if the food is decent, service like this completely ruins the experience. Hospitality is about more than just food — it’s about treating people with respect. This restaurant failed at that on every level. If I hadn’t been starving late at night, I would’ve walked out. Absolutely unacceptable behavior. A place with this kind of attitude doesn’t deserve the praise it gets.

They had some tasty kebabs. Good atmosphere tasty food and friendly staff. I enjoyed my visit there and left there satisfied and full.

Found this place through an article in a magazine, about the best kebab places in Athens. The shop is very old but original. Reminded me of the kebab shops of the 70’s. The kebab preparing area though is refurbished. I tried the original kebab and I was impressed. Smooth flavor, not heavy or very spicy, with good balance of salt and fat. This is not the place that you will visit to stay for dinner, since there are only 3 tables. But I highly recommend it for take away, if your appetite needs a good and original kebab.

We had one of the most delicious, mama-made souvlaki experiences we've ever had in Athens. The pirozhki were also amazing—especially the meat one, while the cheese version was uniquely tasty and had a slightly sweet twist. The lovely lady making them was incredibly kind; she waited for us to finish our first round of souvlaki, then freshly prepared the second batch so we could enjoy them piping hot. That, to me, is impeccable attention to the customer. This is an "eat-on-the-go" spot, so don’t expect tables or chairs—but that only adds to the charm. I’m so glad I had the chance to visit and experience this heartfelt, authentic place in Athens. Definitely one of the best homemade-style souvlaki spots, made with so much love.

Their κεφτές got just same delicious smell like my mom did. I am from Turkey and meatball is a bid deal in my country. Taste is great, smell is great, maybe it's a little restaurant but who cares. In the end it makes you happy.

Amazing souvlaki - one of the best in Athens! Basic ingredients (meat,tomato,onion and red sauce) but all well selected.

The pirozhki is amazing, they make it with 3 different fillings: minced meat, cheese and potato. But make sure to be on time if you want to try them, because the demand for them is huge and some days they can be sold out within a few minutes. The souvlaki is also great and it differs from the regular ones, as it is not served with tzatziki, but with their own unique homemade sauce.

I recently dined at The Greco’s Project and was nice. The restaurant boasts a broad menu featuring a delightful selection of meats and fish, with a strong emphasis on meat, which is truly the main attraction. What stood out was the grilled preparation method, resulting in less greasy dishes. The meat was not only tasty but also beautifully marinated, while the sides complemented the main dishes perfectly. The fish was also commendable and served in generous portions. We enjoyed the option to eat in the restaurant as well as take away. While the takeaway was still enjoyable, the meat was slightly drier than when eaten on-site, which is often the case with food traveling, even for just five minutes. Located right in the square, The Greco’s Project is an ideal stop for tourists looking to rest and recharge between sightseeing. I highly recommend this restaurant for its delicious offerings and inviting atmosphere!

But once we sat down, we realized it was the opposite: authentic, flavorful, and genuinely Greek. 🍴 The food: Generous portions, high-quality meat, and dishes full of flavor. For four people, we ordered plenty and still spent less than $50 total — amazing value considering the location. 🍰 Bonus: They surprised us with a traditional Greek cake on the house — absolutely delicious and such a thoughtful touch. 🌿 The vibe: Modern design with both indoor and outdoor seating. Sitting outside was my favorite — enjoying the breeze, watching people walk by, and listening to Greek music in the background. 🙌 The service: The staff were super friendly and welcoming, which honestly added so much to the whole experience. ✨ Final thought: It looks touristy from the outside, but don’t let that fool you. Between the food, the atmosphere, the service, and the price, it was a 10/10 experience. Strongly recommend if you’re in the area.

Excellent food, large portions, reasonably priced. My wife and I had pork gyros, veal souvlaki, chicken gyros and the house Project salad. Everything was very good. The veal could have used a sauce but it was still quite tasty. The house sauce on the chicken gyros was really good. We hadn't expected a restaurant that was in the middle of a heavy tourist spot to be as good or as reasonable. €38 including wine.

Update: Went back for Sunday lunch two days later and the waiter remembered me. Had the grilled sea bream and it was better than the more expensive restaurant I had on hydra island.

We had dinner there and really liked most of the dishes, though some were hit or miss. The Greek salad was super tasty, but the seafood pasta didn’t impress us—just lacked flavor. The menu has a modern Greek vibe with some creative twists. The staff were really nice. They took time to explain each dish and made sure to check on us throughout the meal. They were also great at suggesting the perfect wine to go with our food. But I should mention, there was an hour wait. Make sure to get a reservation if you’re going. The place is clean and has a chill vibe, with some outdoor seating available. Overall, it was a lovely experience!

Probably one of the best dining experiences of my life. For starters, we had the pita, potatoes, and a Greek salad. The potatoes and Greek salad are mind blowing. For my main course, I had the Mousaka. Again, words won’t do it justice. The wine was phenomenal as well. We went with a Greek varietal referred to us by our waiter. We had a couple of hours to kill before we could check into our Air B&B and our taxi driver recommended we come here. He is friends with the incredible family that owns and operates Smile. They allowed us to store our luggage here and we had the most incredible lunch. We loved it so much, we came back for dinner! The Greek salad is the best thing on the menu! I can not recommend this place enough!

Absolutely amazing food! Hands down the best bruschetta I’ve ever had, and the crispy moussaka was not only delicious but also such a unique twist on a classic dish. The chocolate loukoumades were the perfect sweet ending. The service was truly the best experience I’ve had in Athens -warm, attentive, and so genuine. I also loved hearing the story behind the restaurant and meeting the lovely siblings who started it. Their hospitality made the whole experience even more special. Can’t recommend this place enough!

After our first visit a couple of years ago, we knew we had to come back when we were visiting Athens again. Zoey and her family are amazing and make you feel at home as soon as you enter. The food is also amazing. They make traditional Greek dishes but with flair. During this visit, we had bread, salad, shrimp saganaki, crunchy Moussaka, homemade baklava ice cream, and a piece of baklava. It was all delicious. We'll be back the next time we're in Athens.

From the moment I walked in, I received a very warm welcome from the lovely lady. Everyone was extremely friendly and eager to help with everything. And then there was the food, it was so incredibly delicious. I definitely recommend this restaurant. Thank you.

Most of the food was good. However, the presentation and service were very poor. They didn't change the plates or remove the forks at all; by the end, I had about 8 forks and spoons piled up on the table. Four different waiters served the table, and in the end, they insisted on a 20% tip, which would have amounted to €24 of the bill. So, you end up feeling awkward choosing a 0% tip, even though it's not mandatory. I can say that crab dish and bread were especially good, but overall nothing exceptional.

I went to this restaurant after a long day, without a reservation. They offered me a seat at the bar and recommended a couple of dishes. The menu was small, with interesting fusion style options. It’s a small restaurant with a nice atmosphere. The food came quickly and was excellent. The flavors worked really well together and I really enjoyed both dishes. Definitely a place I would recommend. Great food, friendly service and reasonably priced.

I had a beautiful lunch experience at Nolan. Everyone is smiley and with a nice and well educated manners also willing to explain something about the restaurant. I enjoyed the good vibes, young chill and cool which are also reflected in the beautiful and very careful but unexpected and interesting combination of ingredients. It really worths a try. ❣️

It was a great experience all around. The concept of sharing food with a Greek/Asian fusian is great. Every round of food was incredible, and the recommendations the staff gave were on point. An amazing dinner I could recommend everybody!

Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Nolan. The dishes are medium size tapas style and the quality was excellent. We tried the Green Beans Salad, the kushiyaki sea bass, cod tempura, angus beef and duck. Every dish was tasty. Definitely worth a visit.

Very nice place, on the higher end, with small plates. Nice service and atmosphere. Food was very good , definitely recommend the sea bream tartare. However the cod with the wasabi mayo was a bit salty, and the smashed cucumber salad more sour than we would like. Overall very good, but a bit too expensive for the food offered.

We had the most amazing meal here tonight. We arrived on time for our table, however, Greek time is a little flexible. So we had to wait almost 40 minutes until our table was clear. The manager (?) was lovely, didn’t get his name, however he was a Manchester United fan. He kept us going with some fizz whilst we waited outside. Inside to eat four heavenly dishes, which was just the right amount for two people. It was very difficult to choose from the menu, everything looked so delicious. Two desserts, and two pastries for breakfast tomorrow morning. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough, I would happily go back again tomorrow and eat exactly the same dishes. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the service was quick and efficient, and we simply loved everything about Nolan.

The restaurant sits next to a Vietnamese spot. The seating is outside only but you can order take away as well. The mushroom gyro doesn't compromise the authentic Greek flavors although they use vegetables it's flavorful and cooked well. The slaw gives it nice texture and I also had the cauliflower so I added some of those pieces to my wrap ! Great add should be on the menu. 🤌🏽 We also tried the kombucha and lemonade both were well balanced if you like those sorts of drinks we really enjoyed them!. The atmosphere is great minus being off a busy road but you get used to it. Dessert looked amazing I'll be back tomorrow to try! Hospitality was great and welcoming! I'll always visit when in Athens!

We had a very enjoyable lunch at Vegan Beat. The young girl serving us was quick to serve us. We especially the cauliflower burger in the pretzel bun. We have never had a pretzel bun before, and it was delicious, so fresh!! The mushroom gyros was tasty as well. Although, it wasn’t the best vegan gyros I had in Athens. There was slightly too much salad compared to mushroom filling in my opinion. We will definitely be back when visiting Athens.

The food at Vegan Beat Athens is epic and, as a plus, seems to actually contain a good amount of protein. I tried the "Meatballs", the Epic Moussaka and the delicious and very decadent Snickers cake. Highly recommend! Good job, Vegan Beat! Please prosper and expand all over the world 🖖

One dish is enough for one person. The server was very sweet and so welcoming. Service was also very fast — the food came really quick. Definitely check it out!

A MUST visit!! We visited this place twice and we shared various options! Delicious pastitsio, soy mince patties, tsimitsuri burger, AND musakas. Delicious yummy sauces, very generous portions and such friendly staff. my favorite was the soy mince patties, high protein and so delicious! Definitely one of the best vegan spots in Athens. Away from the big crowds as well so not so much noise. 🥰🌱

I visited the booth of Vegan Beat on the Vegan Life Festival a month ago. I had some spiral potatoes and the vegan space gyros, which both were really tasty. No wonder there was a huge line all the time I passed by their stand. After trying it I gotta say it was definitely worth the wait 😋✌️

We’d heard this place had good dessert in Athens so we had to try for the sweet tooth that we have. And the place did not disappoint us at all! What amazing variety of sweets and desserts they’ve got and we bought the sweet of the Lav cake which was loaded with melted chocolate. We loved it extremely! We did a take away and the service was so quick, it hardly took them 30 seconds to pack it for us. Definitely going to go back after each of my meals to try different desserts here.

This dessert place is a true gem for anyone with a sweet tooth! 🍫The chocolate pie is simply divine — rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced without being overly sweet. Definitely one of the best I’ve ever had. 🍰The San Sebastián cheesecake with forest fruits is also a highlight: creamy, slightly tangy, and beautifully paired with the freshness of the berries. 🥮 We also tried the tiramisu, which was decent but not on the same level as the other desserts. It was missing that deep coffee flavor that makes tiramisu special, and the cream didn’t quite have the authentic texture or taste. Still, for the chocolate pie and cheesecake alone, this place is absolutely worth a visit!

Nancy’s Sweet Home is a dessert lover’s dream! The cakes and pastries are absolutely delicious — rich, fresh, and beautifully made. The place has a cozy, quirky vibe, and it's right in the heart of Psirri — perfect for a sweet break while exploring. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the service was quick even though it was busy. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Athens and craving something sweet!

Not my finest photos, but the taste was amazing. Be warned, these are very sweet but extremely tasty. The chocolate cake was by far the star of my desserts. The ice cream that came with it was great too. Slightly on the pricier side for desserts you can get in Athens, but worth it for at least once, and for the portion size!!

A must goto place when you’re in Psiri for desert! Cheesecake was creamy, not overly sweet and the crust was not dry. A different tag on baklava with ice cream in the middle. Pretty sweet, but the ice cream cut some of the sweetness. The server was lovely and attentive. A great location.

The coffee was very good. I liked the cheesecake, and the chocolate cake was good but too rich for my taste. The tiramisu, unfortunately, wasn’t enjoyable for me.

Visited for dinner and ordered via the a la carte menu. The atmosphere is beautiful and the waiting staff were very friendly and as attentive as they should be. Many of the items were great (with the exception of the Greek rib eye which was slightly underwhelming) but they all lacked the wow factor you expect at such a price range. The Spanish beef fillet was amazing and definitely the highlight of the night. All in all, Cookoovaya is a very nice option in the area, but there are far better options at this price range.

The restaurant is definitely in the top 10% of local greek cuisine. Modern approach to excellent ingredients with talented kitchen staff and very good table service. My waitress Anastasia was fabulous, charming and knew the menu. Praises to chef the cuisine- Anna. They have one more new location on an island.

Really dissapointing food. Extremely expensive for what it is. A salad of basically boiled potatoes for €20, the tiniest piece of amberjack fish served with literaly half a zuchini for €38, the driest piece of seabass fish served with barely boiled wild greens for €35. An untasteful joke. The service was great though! The tables near the open kitchen get way too much heat, best avoid.

This is a very nice restaurant with an elegant, tasteful interior. You can tell that a lot of attention was put into the design — it feels refined but comfortable. The tables are well spaced, offering a sense of privacy that many places lack, and the restaurant itself is quite spacious. The food is excellent and the wine selection is truly impressive — carefully chosen and perfectly matched with the menu. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars for the service. Perhaps we were drinking a bit faster than usual, but we often had to pour our own wine, which slightly took away from the otherwise classy experience. Overall, it’s a sophisticated and stylish restaurant, ideal for a nice evening out — though not exactly cheap.

I'm going this place the benefit of the doubt, it came highly recommended but I wasn't blown away by this meal. The raw fish of the day was so citrusy it was overpowering, I couldn't enjoy the natural flavors of the raw fish or other ingredients, it was just a melange of textures "a la limon." Truly disappointing bc I love a good crudo, and it wasn't cheap. My second dish was was the slow cooked goat, it was juicy and tender, but slightly on the sweet side which isn't my preferred flavor profile but others might enjoy it. The potatoes that accompany it were more like potato chips than fries. The staff was kind, and the restaurant is beautiful, don't know if I will give it another try as its quite pricy. One other thing, I didn't enjoy the style of service here in Athens that I experienced a few times at fine dining restaurants. As soon as you sit down, the waiter appears and, even before you get the menu they ask if you would like a certain item, it feels rushed, the client feels pressured and its s bit sneaky to ask if they want to have something like bread if its a premium product w an upsell without letting them know. I'd give this place a 3.9 if I could but since its not a 3 I'll give it a 4, in my opinion.

This is WHERE to dine in Athens. Love it! Ask for waitress Jonna. She is absolutely a professional. We had the lamb chops and grouper. Both were perfect. We shared the pear tart — oh Wow! We are going back tonight for aged mutton for two.

Overhyped. The wait was over 50 minutes long because they cook on a grill flat top to order. Even with it being fresh off the grill, the beef souvlaki was dry and lacking in flavor. I rarely give bad reviews but it was not worth the wait.

An iconic and historical place with great souvlaki. They open at 10:25am, so google was wrong and we had to wait for a while, but it was totally worth it. The inside is full of pictures of the family, news articles and delicious smell of the food. Definitely worth a visit.

Beautiful decor with a relaxed vibe, and the food was delicious. Wish we were more hungry to try more dishes! We ordered the oven baked lamb, zucchini rolls, and the kebab - all very good, but I think the kebab was our favorite.

5 stars all round. Excellent service, delicious food, and tasteful décor. Thoughtful details like sanitised cutlery show real care. The chicken was tender and perfectly cooked in small cubes. The hand-cut chips were seasoned beautifully. They cater for groups of all sizes, though I recommend booking ahead if you want an outdoor table.

Recently stumbled upon this GEM on our honeymoon in Greece and wish we found it sooner. The food was amazing - best we had in all of Greece. Their calamari was to die for. Octopus was also amazing as well as their lamb orzo. The place was very busy and we did not have a reservation. They were able to seat us after waiting a few minutes. The server forgot to bring us water after asking 3 times for it, but we were happy to have a table. Food was worth it!!!

Before coming to Athens I did some research on good restaurants. Ella’s was on my list. So I went there on the first evening. The place is larger than expected. I could easily grab a chair. It has tables on both sides of the building and others inside (on street level and mezzanine). The food was delicious and the service was friendly and fast. With two glasses of wine, tap water, baked chick peas, pita bread, lamb orzo and octopus I ended up paying roughly 60 Euro, which is totally fair for the quality and average level for good places in Athens (to my experience).

We should have realised when we first walked in that the reviews do not do this place justice. We were greeted by a very impolite person and basically were treated as if it was a bother for them to even greet us even though we spoke in Greek. The food is very overrated and apart from the Domaldes which were tasty the rest of the food was very bland. Stay away from the octopus and scordalia there is no garlic in the scordalia and what is it with beetroot and the octopus definitely does not go. All meals did not live up to any of the previous reviews. Very much a tourist trap. And don’t start me on the service. The worst service out of all restaurants we have visited and as a Greek it was very disappointing. Would recommend to stay away there are a lot more pleasant and friendly restaurants in Athens

We have got a recommendation from friends to visit Ella during our girls trip and it was really worth it. The flavors were exceptional, fresh and modern. We enjoyed vegetarian food, the service was great and the location central and cosy. Our food tour guide also recommended the restaurant as one of her favorites and this should mean something as she was a professional chef in former days.

Wow what a great find in Athens! First, the ambiance. It is nice and airy and so beautiful. Next the staff. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. The food was delicious. The cheese was amazing! The squid cooked to perfection and the hummus and dolmas were incredible too. The veggies with peanut butter were so good too and great way to sneak in veggies. I had a great experience here, one of the highlights of my time in Athens. Staff helped me create a wine tasting and charcuterie board that were excellent. I enjoyed it so much. I came back the next night for another glass of wine. Three different employees helped me who were all very informative and helpful. I ended up buying two of the bottles I tasted to bring home. Highly recommend.

Vintage has the biggest wine collection (by the glass) in Greece. Whatever wine you want to drink you will probably find here… and the sommeliers are happy to help with their extensive knowledge! While the place is mainly know for the wine, it is worth to mention that they are offering an excellent greek and mediterranean menu from a top chef to accompany the wines!

Stopped by Vintage as we were looking for some wine tasting in Athens. We found our heaven. The staff (Dimitris) was very wine knowledgeable and even gave us recommendations on wines, also gave us recommendations for our our upcoming trip to Santorini. Will surely be back. One of the best restaurants I have ever visited. Vezene Athens is truly exceptional. The food was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Shrimps and the variety of starters were bursting with flavor. The main dishes, including the fettucce and the youvetsi were simply outstanding. The wine selection is phenomenal, offering both breadth and depth without being overwhelming. The service was flawless — professional, attentive, and wonderfully seamless. The staff worked together effortlessly and were almost invisible, appearing only when needed. Without a doubt, Vezene is a strong contender for a Michelin star. One of the best overall dining experiences of my life! I found this place by looking for a good steak in Athens. The reviews were good so I book a reservations. From the moment I entered the restaurant everything things started good and just got better. Ambience: The design is modern nature with lighting that accents the earth tones and naturalistic design. So when they say, “ come down in a garden” you definitely feel as in you have been set in a candle lit garden mixed with an umbrella elegant upscale restaurant! As the man out with a lady I am usually sitting in the chair as apposed to the bench, and of course these chair vary in comfort. At Vezene the chair was a solid wood frame with a leather fir. Leather cushion that made me want to order a set to take home. The bathroom was not only clean but design with every detail in mind. From the gap soap with a slight grit, to the small clothes to dry hands, and event the faucet was placed over a wooden slat sink that kept the natural design going. Service: The host, sommelier, server, server assistant, all were attentive and accommodating. We were recommended a wonderful small production semi-sweet muscat that was light fruit forward and delighted my guest. Our server went over recommendations and highlighted dishes that were staples and guest favorites. We followed her recommendation and were not disappointed by anything we tried. Plates and silverware were promptly reset for eat course. Wine and water was kept chill away from the table and refreshed as needed. Food: We tried at least 5 starters and a main dish, the core de beouef. My favorites were the pellet tomatoes with a roasted report dipping sauce and whipped cheese that was diving. And of course the Cote de beouf perfectly cooked medium sliced thin with roasted cauliflower, peppers, and garlic. Salted just so. For desert we have a dish that was moist chocolate cake with a ganaches, vanilla ice cream with winter spice, nuts. The combination of textures and layered flavors had my guest doing a little jig. Everyones taste are different so I will let the pictures speak to you. I can not recommend this restaurant enough!

Definitely get the rice it’s very good and taste like home comfort food. The pide and lahmacun wrap were ok. Trying to be a bit different with the flavours but the bread wasn’t so soft or fluffy and a little dry so I wouldn’t say it’s the best pide I’ve had. Dessert was great though.

A while ago my friend told me that if I ever go to Athens, Greece I must go to Fayrouz Restaurant and taste their Lebanese food, It is really delicious. Finally traveled to Athens and remembered his advice so I went to Fayrouz Restaurant to taste their food. They welcomed me and asked me how I knew about this restaurant. After that, the owner of the restaurant welcomed me very warmly and she was very nice.I ordered a Sultans Nest and Peinirli Pastourma both were delicious, The restaurant was small but very nice and located in the corner of the building and the other corner is the Feyrouz Coffee Shop for the same owner, I enjoyed the food and highly recommend.

We came here on a recommendation and was not disappointed! They occupy two buildings opposite each other, we went into the "sweet side" for their kunefi. We were friendly welcomed and assisted with our order. We shared the dish between 4 people. You cannot go wrong with having the scoop of goats milk gelato on top!

The owners are incredibly warm and welcoming, which makes you feel like you are in your local neighbourhood restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious. I had the best pide I’ve ever tried, made with the owner’s grandma’s recipe. They even offered me a free cup of soup, which was just as tasty. Lovely place with genuine hospitality.

Very good restaurant in town, the price is incredibly friendly, but the food and taste are also fantastic, be aware: the portion is big, but it is so yummy. We have 7 people, ordered 10 dishes, we afraid that we have to waste the food, but no, we finished all! Recommend the fried shrimp and squid, lamb, 4 cheeses mushroom, and eggplant in the oven!

This restaurant was recommended by my guide who lives nearby, and it turned out to be a great find! It’s located very close to the Pantheon but away from the busy tourist streets which gives it a much more local feel. There’s plenty of seating though you might need to wait a few minutes to be seated during peak hours. I liked it so much that I went there twice. So far I’ve tried the moussaka, Greek salad, and local meatballs with rice. Everything was absolutely delicious. The portions are generous and I could barely finish my meal. Highly recommend this place for authentic food and a relaxed atmosphere.

The grilled Talagani was absolutely incredible, and the soutzoukakia meatballs tasted just like something my grandma would have made — full of flavor and childhood memories. Had a good experience dining here - tried the shrimp saganaki (excellent and highly recommended), moussaka as well as the grapevine wrapped rice. All in all, a pleasant experience as food was served promptly. It’s a very popular place so staff might be hard to get the attention of at times.

Excellent place to grab a bite after a long day touring the Acropolis. Many places in Plaka are tourist traps with overinflated prices but the prices here were very reasonable and the food was delicious. We only ordered 3 appetizers(baked feta, 2 sides of bread, chickpeas and zucchini balls) and were full pretty quickly as the portions were large. Would definitely recommend.

We had our first experience eating at a Michelin-rated restaurant here in Greece. They offered an 11-course surprise menu with a wine pairing. Each course had a beautiful presentation & the tastes just all came together. Aside from the amazing dishes, the service was fantastic. Each course & wine pairing was explained. This was truly an unforgettable experience!

We visited yesterday for our anniversary. The good: 1. Most of the courses were excellent. Great culinary experience 2. My husband had informed for his dietary restrictions in time and they had prepared really nice courses for him. 3. The music was nice. The bad: 1. The restaurant felt cold inside and we kept asking to close the door and the windows. They would, for 2 minutes and they’d reopen them again. We felt very uncomfortable with the temperature and even though they assured they’d turn up the heating they didn’t. We had to physically stand up and go shut the door ourselves multiple times. This is unacceptable for Michelin restaurants. Other people were wearing their coats because they were cold too. 2. We arrived at 07.05 and asked for the empty table at the window which we were refused. The justification was we give the table according to booking date. The people who had booked the table came at 21.40. They could have told us you may have it until 21.00 and perhaps that would be ok. Also, nowhere has it been our experience to be punished with the worst table if you book 3 days before. The manager herself had an argument with us. Even though we asked for 2 tables that both were fulfilled after 21.30. Mind you the restaurant was empty when we arrived. 3. We had written in the booking that it was our anniversary - everywhere in the world they surprise us in a way- here absolutely nothing. They didn’t even mention it. Overall even though the food was great the service didn’t justify the Michelin star distinction.

This was our first visit to a Michelin-starred restaurant, and CTC Urban Gastronomy truly delivered an unforgettable experience. The service was exceptional—professional, warm, and attentive throughout. The food was not just a meal, but a carefully curated journey of flavors and textures. The setting strikes the perfect balance between cozy and elegant, with a smart-casual vibe that feels both relaxed and refined. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience, and the wine pairing was the cherry on top—perfectly matched and absolutely amazing.

First - the assistant sommelier Zan was fabulous. Knowledgeable, fun personality, really helpful. We enjoyed the Greek wine flight. Other waiters were good. Second - Menu is 90% seafood. Overall the food was 30% exceptional (corn soup, squid pasta, beef & tart), 40% excellent and 30% good but a bit plain (souvlaki, dessert medley w chocolate / sponge cake / tart). Third - seating. There are about 25 tables in the outside courtyard. When we arrived all were empty, except one table had 2 guests. They sat us next to that table. And those two tables were positioned really close together - more than any others in the entire restaurant. * The first hour of service, there were only three tables with guests in the entire restaurant. The second hour two more tables were seated. It wasn't busy at all. Therefore I was left puzzled. Why?? Why?? Why when there's so much available space, sit us next to other people, especially this woman who was so loud and irritating. I asked them to move us before service started and the hostess acted like it was a strange request. That was a very disappointing start to the dinner. Part of fine dining is the overall dining experience. It left me shaking my head with wonder....a rookie mistake you would expect from a sidewalk cafe. So they lose a star for that.

We had our first Michelin-star experience at CTC Urban Gastronomy in Athens, and it was truly memorable. The tasting menu took us on a beautifully curated journey — the flavors were unexpected in the best way, carefully balanced, and executed with precision. Every dish brought something new, and the plating was like art. Service was professional yet warm, striking that perfect balance between luxury and friendliness. The team made us feel welcome and informed without being overly formal. Each wine pairing enhanced the dish without overpowering it. There were two points that slightly took away from the otherwise impeccable evening: 1. The aperitif recommended before the meal felt unnecessary and disconnected from the menu. It came across as an upselling tactic, which slightly broke the magic of an otherwise thoughtful dining experience. 2. We were charged for a bottle of sparkling water we never ordered. It was a small amount (€6), and we didn’t bring it up to avoid awkwardness at the end of the evening, but at this level of dining, such things should not happen. Aside from that, the experience was well worth it. The team clearly works with passion and skill. It’s a place I’d recommend to anyone looking to celebrate something special or just indulge in culinary artistry.

Simply put, this is one of the top 3 fine dining restaurants in Greece. The service was excellent, the staff was very friendly and accommodating to our every need. The atmosphere is simply stunning (you can’t help but imagine how it would feel to live in this house and not just eat in its yard). The indoor area also seems very nice, but it seems it is mostly reserved for cold or rainy days. The corn soup (with lobster) and the langoustine welcome dish were to die for and brilliant presentation and flavour wise.

for a Michelin star restaurant there were a lot of hits and miss. it was overall very cute, but the flavours for the menu were more or less simple. if compared to Soil or Delta, it was neither so much amazing flavours, not techniques. The polenta course looked cool, was super plain. the souvlaki was grrat as concept, but the execution of the “meat” was lacking the meatiness. overall ok, for 185€. worth trying once.

The food quality and taste are amazingly good, but the service is equally poor. During the three days I was there, I came twice, and both times when they brought the water, they didn't bring glasses. Or sometimes, they seemed to forget to bring the knife and fork. However, the food tastes so great that you end up forgetting about the poor service

Nice place to have food in the center. We tried the Gyros and it was really good. We also order falafel with hummus and was okey, not the best that I ever tried but okey. Nothing to complain! The service was okey but the price maybe too high.

The rooftop views are amazing, they don’t serve gyros at the roof level, they only serve them on the ground floor. The gyros were not up to our expectation, but the other main dishes looked really delicious. We’ll definitely visit again & order something other than gyros. For the gyros; the pita bread was really thick & the chicken quality was not the best, but the sauce was not bad 👍🏼 Enjoy the views, the main dishes & avoid the gyros 😅🙏🏼

This place is above average and good for a quick bite when you’re on the go. I’ll usually stop here for a quick Gyro or Donair and generally it’s pretty good overall and the prices are fair as well.

Second visit to Athens and The Hills—once again, they blew me away! First came here three years ago with my son after the Acropolis. This time, back with the whole family for our 25th anniversary, and it was the standout experience of our trip. Gorgeous outdoor seating with jaw-dropping views of the Acropolis—unbeatable when it’s lit up at night. Food? Spectacular. Service? Even better. Clyde and Marcos are world-class, and I’ve dined all over the globe. Book ahead, get there by 8 PM, and enjoy one of the most unforgettable nights in Athens.

Very lovely relaxed dining experience and had a table looking out over the acropolis. We were here for 3.5 hours, having and 3 course meal and drinks. No pressure from waiting staff. Some of the wines were out of stock but the waiter brought us some very different and interesting options to choose from. Very reasonable price for what we ate and drank.

My group and I had the most amazing experience, and the food was absolutely terrific. This was our first dinner reservation of our trip and it really set the tone. The owner introduced himself to us and was super gracious…without asking he gave us recommendations for things throughout our stay. The entire staff was great and the food was A+!

The old man at the entrance is very nice. Sadly, the lady at the cashier isn't. She ignored me completely, taking locals in front, eveen they came a minute after me and before I was alone. Then, when I have to give the order, she's talking with other locals, confusing if she talks to me or others, not even saying hello, just staring at me... Weird way to welcome customers... Made my experience bad...

Chose this spot for my first Gyro in Pita in Greece and it didn’t disappoint. We were walking back to our Airbnb after a long walking tour and decided to grab a takeaway. The menu was surprisingly extensive, but everything was explained so clearly that ordering was a breeze. Our food was ready in about 10 minutes, packed perfectly with no spills. The first bite was divine, loved the contrast of fresh tomato and lettuce with the salty chips and juicy chicken. The pita itself was thick, soft and fluffy, just the way it should be. Definitely going back for more.

Just ordered two chicken giros at this place. I’m not one to complain or write negative reviews, and I realise not speaking Greek can lead to misunderstandings. The meat was not giros, but grilled chicken thigh. The waiter explained they did not do giros. I can live with this, but it was undercooked. The waiter said this was normal for chicken thighs. It did not seem safe to eat though. We said we couldn’t eat it, but did not get much of a response. So we walked. Not sure about what to make of this, I had the photos analysed by ChatGPT: “The chicken pieces in the photos appear: • Deep pink to almost raw inside • Glossy/glassy, which is typical of undercooked chicken • With a texture that looks like partially raw meat, not fully cooked thigh meat This is not the normal pink tint you sometimes get near the bone or from grilling. It looks undercooked and unsafe to eat.” The fries were good though!

Cannot stop thinking about the gyro I had here. Best one I had in my entire trip to Athens and it was so good I had to come back the next day. The staff were very kind, and they also have a set-up where you can buy a meal for an unhoused person. Also a gyro for 3.60€ ??? Unbeatable

Street Souvlaki serves some of the best gyros we’ve had — the chicken, pork, and kebab gyros were all juicy, flavorful, and wrapped with crispy fries and creamy tzatziki. The Greek fries with feta were addictive, and the Greek salad was fresh with a generous slab of feta. Fast service and a casual, authentic vibe make this place a must-try for classic Greek street food.

Came here for the third time during my quick stay in Athens and the food is not only very affordable, but also amazing. On top of the food being extremely good and fresh, the staff is also so sweet and friendly, especially Katarina. She made sure to come see us often to check up on us.

It just can’t get better. On every trip I make to Greece I plan one dinner at Papadakis, and every time I leave I feel the same way: that I’ve had dinner at the best restaurant in the country. I always look forward to it and I’ve never been disappointed.

Wonderful dinner spot with a lovely ambience and friendly staff. We particularly enjoyed the aubergine, fava, dolmades, and the grouper; our kids loved the orzo with shrimp. And make sure to try the mastika ice cream as a final sweet finish + pallet cleanser. (One note to the kitchen: I found the Greek salad slightly too salty!) Be sure to book in advance on the weekends.

Overall, a pleasant and genuine experience — ideal for anyone who wants to enjoy traditional seafood in an elegant yet cozy environment.

Absolutely delicious food, home made, this is a must try place!

What a beautiful and peaceful place to enjoy delicious Greek cuisine. Surrounded by nature and fresh breeze, makes this place very unique. The staff was very friendly, The price is relatively decent, The food was delicious, And they have a very good selection of Greek wines, really tasty and good price as well. I highly recommend this restaurant.

There was a long line, but it went quickly. The cashier had what appeared to be a meltdown and walked away from the cash register, which slowed everything down. But once we got the food, it was surprisingly good, but the chicken was a little dry. Definitely good value for the cost, however

This location is right around the corner from the Acropolis museum on the walkway strip. The food here is consistently delicious full of flavour and the portions are just right. They have been serving the public for many years and know exactly how to marinate and serve their food properly. I do visit this spot every time I go through Athens and would highly recommend if your from the city or just visiting. The pictures to not do any justice just go and try it and thank me later. Honestly, the best place you can eat Gyros in: incredibly cheap, quick service (and very organized) and very tasty food. Try the Souvlakis as well (the pork is juicy and dipped in oregano). The only "bad side" is that there are not a lot of tables, so it's best if your order take away and eat somewhere else).

The best Gyros place in the area, and incredibly cheap (3,80€ for a gyro). The service is quick, and the fries and food seem rustic and fresh. However there isn't much seating and you may need 2 Gyros to feel completely full since they are a bit on the smaller size!

O Gyros Pou Gyrevis was the quick gyro and beer that I was seeking when I first got to Athens. The portions were good for the price and the gyros popped out instantly. They were so good that my gf and I each had two of them. Total cost of 2 beers and 4 gyros was about 20 euro. You can't argue with that!

We bought two pita gyro (one chicken and one pork) at 2pm. There was a resonable long queue at the cashier so I waited outside for a table to be free while my partner ordered the food. We were lucky to get a table but many customers had to either eat their food standing or go another place. It costed 3.8€ for a pita gyro. It's cheap but you don't get much food and we were still hungry afterwards. In addition, it didn't taste that good as expected. We had tried better ones before.

$3.80 euro for a gyro?! This is a very good price. And it tasted good too. Not the best but u cant beat that price. And they were super quick too

Absolutely amazing! It was one of the best meals I’ve ever had, amazing chicken skewers with veggies, fava beans and hummus with pita! It was so so reasonably priced too, we paid 35 euro for a meal for two with mains, sides, drinks and alcohol.

We stopped by this small and charming restaurant for a quick lunch. We ordered salads and cheeses — everything was very fresh and delicious.

We went there 3 nights in a row with friends after seeing a concert at nearby Lycabettus Hill, and every single bite knocked it out of the park. Nourishing salads, plenty of thoughtful and creative and delicious options for vegetarians and meat eaters alike! The atmosphere was perfect for long and enjoyable conversations with friends over beers, and the staff was attentive, friendly, and engaging! This restaurant was a mainstay for our trip and we will most certainly be returning when we return to Greece!

This place is amazing. We were visiting Athens and staying across the street. The first time we ate here was out of convenience. The second time was because we could not stop thinking about the delicious food. Seriously, the best tzatziki ever.

Greek salad is good, but the rest of food was tasteless. Besides, they charge for the bottle of water we even didn't ask while in most places around Athens they give a bottle free of charge as a compliment. The place is quite expensive and if you want good quality greek food, this is not a place to visit.

Terrible experience! We ordered a salad, two skewers, and an eggplant dish. We waited for 45 minutes, but our food never arrived — even though people who came after us were already eating. We eventually left without being served. When I complained to the waiter, he just shrugged and didn’t even say sorry. Absolutely unacceptable service.

The restaurant offers an array of authentic Eastern dishes. It’s a bit of a mixed bag. Some things on the menu were really solid but others were either odd or over cooked. The Kebap meat was really good but the domus sis was dry and a little too charred. The rice was actually the stand out for me, lovely fragrant flavour. I would come back to try other dishes but I wouldn’t say it was the best Eastern food in Athens.

The decoration is simple but the tastes are awesome. The Anadolu has a big variety of Eastern cuisine recipes from quality ingredients.

Amazing flavours. Turkish - Greek cuisine. Great spot. You need to go 3 or 4 times to reset all of the menu.

Athens, Greece @ 84 Veikou street. 1.2km from the Acropolis museum. Open between 9am - 5pm. 9 seatings. Relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. We opted for breakfast. Vegetarian omelette with feta cheese, peppers, olives and tomato. We received water at the table (no additional charge) and we had cappuccinos and 2 glasses of Prosecco. The food was well presented, delicious and good. The omelette was prepared nicely and not burnt (as I experienced when ordering omelette). The owner, Agapi, and staff, Harianna, was present. The were friendly and helpful and created a friendly environment and good positive atmosphere. Definitely recommend a visit for an enjoyable brunch in a quaint and relaxing environment. Fantastic!!!

Superb restaurant, with super friendly service. The Poffies are a very cool breakfast item, which a portion being six filling pasty balls with filling. We also had a scrambled egg / tomato dish wish was delicious, although maybe a bit underdone. Really enjoyed our visit.

Such a great place for take away or dine in. Everything is made to order, so it will take fifteen minutes to prepare the food. These are similar to arancini - round breading covering a center with various ingredients. I had one order of beef & parmesean for lunch. 6 pieces, nice take away box too eat on the go. My only comment... It came with a sweet thai sauce and I think it would have been better with a tomato sauce. This type of dish is especially known for fruits and chocolate breakfast type options.

Small little place with outdoor seating. Great for breakfast. I had the Poffie egg which is fried egg with bacon on top of their pastry with a small salad. I got double eggs and everything was so flavorful. I also got the Poffie with butter, honey, and cinnamon. It was just the right amount of sweet, these little dough balls are simply amazing. If you are coming from the US don't expect quick service, that's normal so be patient it's worth the wait.

We were on the way to another cafe for breakfast but very luckily stopped here. Everything just super, worthy every cent you spend here.

Nice little place to enjoy breakfast and a drink. Loved the eggs with the fresh salad and dough balls. Coffee was great. Service was excellent. Not a big fan of the sweet dough balls, but that's personal preference. Wife did like them. Overall had a pleasant breakfast and would go back to try more from their menu.

This local gem in the heart of Kolonak is a French bistro with a Greek twist. I passed by this place many times and did not attend but I put it on my to go list and finally I made it. Eleni the server was super nice, professional and friendly. We were 2 and decided to go with a starter, pasta and a main dish. The tomato carpaccio with burrata was decent but not something to brag about. When the beef linguini and the fillet steak arrived it was so good we devoured on it like crazies. The fruits tarte was amazing as well and we were told that all of the desserts are made by them. To sum it up: great food great service upscale clientele and all in all we were very happy. Unfortunately we were so hungry so we did not take pictures of the main dish but we got the dessert!

Nice lovely spot for a Western-inspired brunch! Really enjoyed the eggs and avocado toast. The music was not too loud and outdoor seating had industrial fans overhead to cool down the usual Athens noon heat.

We had a great time at this restaurant! The location was nice and easy to find. The food and drinks were really tasty and fresh. But the best part was the service. The manager and waiters were very kind and professional. They made sure we had everything we needed and were always checking if we were okay. We felt very welcome and well taken care of. We really enjoyed our visit and will definitely come back. Highly recommend this place!

This place tries hard to look like a Parisian bistro, but that’s where it ends. The food is bland and uninspired, with ridiculously high prices that are completely unjustified. Portions are small, ingredients feel cheap, and there’s nothing authentically French about the experience ( except maybe the attitude....) It’s a classic tourist trap banking on aesthetics and location, but delivering poor quality at a premium cost. With so many amazing restaurants in Athens, don’t waste your time or money here. I got food poisoning 24 hours after our visit and we suspect it was from the salmon tartar dish. I had 40oC fever and had to go to go to the doctor! I was given antibiotics because this was a serious case of food poisoning. I could probably sue this place. Such a shame to not follow proper hygiene and quality guidelines in the kitchen. The level of service should extend to all aspects of a business not only on how things look on the surface. I am healthy and I don’t get sick often. If I had a preexisting issue or if an older individual ate that stale fish you could have sent them to the hospital. If you don’t want to use sushi grade fish (which is what you charge for) then don’t put this item on the menu Response to what the owner added here. I have been living in the UK with zero interest against or for your establishment. I didn’t write I got the first symptoms in 24h. I actually had symptoms the next morning so you do the math. At less than 24h I referred to the presentation of high persistent fever, which is the later stage of the bacterial infection I had. We ate more things that day at your restaurant, but the uncooked fish is the most likely culprit and what I ate on my own(thankfully as it turned out). I didn’t eat anything else and I spent the next day in the bathroom, so yes Im sure it was from you. I find it extremely unprofessional and concerning that your first reaction was to blame me,the customer, instead of looking into the matter further before jumping into accusations against me. I also have the doctor’s note and the receipt from your establishment and can easily proceed with a more formal complaint.

Sooo Michel was a nice break from my travels and waiting to check in to my hotel. The coffee was refreshing. Along with their sandwich. I sat in for a bit of reading and everyone was very helpful and friendly. We came back twice during our time in Athens. What was ordered: Turkey breakfast sandwich / Coffee

The place was lovely at first - cozy atmosphere, tasty mezze, and a sweet start with a great waiter. But the moment his shift ended and the new waiter heard us speaking Hebrew, his whole attitude changed. He literally pulled faces at us, cold and dismissive, while being perfectly nice to everyone else. The thing is, he has no idea what our political views are, or how much we protest against our own government. We’re just regular people who came to enjoy a meal - not a flag, not a policy, not a regime. And just like I wouldn’t judge him for the flaws of his own government, I don’t expect to be judged for mine. That’s not politics - that felt like antisemitism.
