Best place to get a Galaktoboureko in Athens. I did not like their Baklava. This place is a take out.

Had a wonderful experience here during my holiday in Athens. This place has a very wide choice of products (quality is excellent!) and really honest prices. Highly recommended!

The desserts were very good. They knew I didn't know what anything was and let me sample a few Greek delights. They didn't want me walking out of there not happy. This was great customer service & thankful my friend brought me here. I highly recommend.

It's probably the best confectionery I've ever visited. If you think it is a bit overpriced, it's not, considering the quality it offers. Galatoboureko was good enough. I'm not a fan of that kind of sweets, though. Staff - except one lady - was not friendly enough, as we took our time to choose from the big variety they have. At kosmikon, I had of the best ice creams I've tasted. Don't forget to try the chocolate tsoureki flavor. It will take you to heaven!

Many have tried to outrank this galaktoboureko, including your mum and grandma. Guess what? They have failed!

I live in Turkey, so we have same desserts too. The kataifi was amazing. Like most Greek dishes, it had cinnamon. The baklava wasn’t that great in my opinion Turkey has way better. The Greek coffee was awesome exactly same with turkish coffee. Desserts were tasty, coffee was thick and perfect :) wish I could’ve gone one more time.

MUST GO IF IN ATHENS! The most delicious Greek yogurt with honey and nuts. The yogurt is rich and smooth lightly sweetened with honey while the nuts added a dimension to the texture. The rice pudding was also amazing. Very light and not overly sweet

I visited here twice - once for a yogurt with honey and once for a Bougatza - I was never disappointed. Find here a large variety of Yogurt dishes and Greek traditional pastries. I would eat every breakfast in Athens here if I could!

Authentic dairy shop and eatery. Yoghurt of sheep with honey and walnuts + traditional Kataifi almond dessert with icecream were delicious. We also enjoyed traditional Greek coffee - very strong! There was a short line to get a table at 12:00 on a Saturday, but got seated within 15mins. Worth the wait.

The yogurt made of sheep milk it has a unique flavour. The cream it is simple, tasting like childhood. There are only outdoor tables, so on a very hot day it can be tricky. We enjoyed the experience of tasting yogurt in a traditional dairy store in Athens. The prices are affortable.

This shop is one if the best pastry shops in Athens! 😋❤😋 Everything is made with outstanding quality products & tastes accordingly. 👍😋 They have a large choice of pastries, cookies and cakes as well as some savory pies that are baked daily . My favorite is the spinach pie. 😋 Their Tsoureki bread is always great and if you like traditional Greek sweets, they always have many freshly made daily! 😊😋 Their chocolates are also tops 👍👍👍 and for the festive seasons they always have lots of tempting choices... like now for Easter. 👍🐣👍🐣

Best cake I've ever eaten. Infinite flavours to choose from. They have the highest quality. I strongly recommend the cake with caramel and apple. Fair prices and the portions are generous. Extremely kind staff. Excellent altogether!

Im not here to comment about their products but thir attitude toward stray animals. There was a suffering bird in front of their shop and they refused to give it some water when i asked. The sales people were indifferent and when i asked to just have a paper cup to put the water myself they said their boss wouldn't approve it. They don't want birds in front of their shop obviously but not helping one suffering living being tells a lot about the kind of people they are. I am not shopping there again.

One of the oldest family-owned patisseries in Athens. Their sweets (from macarons and desserts to ice-cream) are made from original recipes kept in-house for more 100 years by these lovely people. If taken away, they come in well-designed, solid packages. If you're looking for top-quality, non-franchise sweets, that's your address!

Very good birthday cakes sweets ice creams chocolates for any occasion birthday parties cannot be complete without a cake from this place. I totally recommend it. They make the best strawberry tarts ever better than any other place. I can't wait to go back there for the next or another occasion.

Perfect traditional sweets and perfect espresso! Each dessert is 6 euros and it is more than enough for two. But, we couldn’t resist so we took each one and 1 espresso macchiato; all together 15 euros. It is worth every cent. Even though I took custard cake (galaktoboureko or something like that), I would say the other one with kataif and walnuts is better.

Awesome desserts. Place recommended by a greek friend and very nice quantity for money. One dessert is more than enough for 2 persons but we have ordered two pieces and barely could finish (6 eur each). 18 eur total including two small greek coffees.

We stumbled upon this delightful pastry shop/café and absolutely fell in love with it. The place was full of fresh, tempting bakery and pastry items, displayed beautifully and impossible to resist. We tried a couple of their specialties — Babas and Millefeuille, which was moist and rich, layered with a light, creamy, delicious custard and flaky pastry. Every bite was incredibly flavorful and perfectly balanced, not overly sweet, just right. The quality of ingredients and the care in preparation really stood out. The café also had a cozy, welcoming atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a quiet moment with a coffee and something sweet. It was a wonderful experience, and we’ll definitely go back again to try more of their creations. Highly recommended for anyone with a sweet tooth or a love for authentic, well-made pastries!

We took our meal as takeaway. Very good traditional pastries (i liked much the galaktompoureko). Not very fun folks as there are so many customers I understand they do not have much time for each. I do not understand people barking it's more expensive when sitting: it's written on the external big menu so if you saw prices you saw that. I like the comment about EU Law and calling cops but it's exactly the same in France: it's more expensive when sitting!

There were two of us, and neither of us was satisfied. They brought each of our orders separately, one by one — even the coffees. My coffee was served first, and my partner’s coffee came about 20 minutes later. This behavior was really unpleasant for us. You go to a café to enjoy yourself and share the moment, to have something to eat or drink together, but this experience completely ruined that feeling. It even made the taste of the coffee and cake unpleasant for us!!!

This place sells nice deserts. It a bit like a tourist trap but nice for a treat. It’s a little overpriced.

These are the world’s BEST loukoumades. They are light, fluffy, and made fresh in front of you. It is a traditional old shop, not sure of its history. I’m not sure what else they sold as this is what we came for. We had the traditional version with syrup and cinnamon. We visited twice they were so good. You can eat in or take away. Nothing fancy inside but the food more than makes up for this. Will make this a definite stop next trip to Athens

They've been making loukoumades since 1923 so I figured they're doing something right! The dining area is large, spacious and with it's old photos and memorabilia, it's quite nostalgic. We headed to the back to order - the menu is in Greek but Google Translate came to my rescue. We went for the traditional topping of syrup, cinnamon and walnuts. The loukoumades were warm and fresh - crisp on the outside (even with the syrup on top) and soft and fluffy inside. They were surprisingly light and totally delicious.

I visited on a weekday to try the loukoumades. You can either dine inside (self-service) or take them to go from the front counter. I opted for the classic version with syrup and cinnamon. You can also add chocolate, walnuts, and ice cream if you wish. The dough was excellently fried—not greasy, light, and crisp even after being soaked in syrup. They were served slightly warm. The syrup wasn’t overly sweet, which I appreciated, especially given the generous amount. The cinnamon flavour was maybe a bit too mild for my taste.

Was quite the far walk but the loukamadas were delicious, they put so much honey on them there was lots for dipping. There is construction going on the street outside the restaurant so it was a little hard finding the store

Most of the honey was a very sugary syrup, no wonder they were very generous with it. It made me immediately dizzy. The lukumades themselves had no taste inside.

The BEST bakery in Athens. The owner was so sweet. We came in to get pastries to go and she gave us wonderful suggestions, wrapped them beautifully, and gave us plenty of samples to go. So delicious and the owner is as sweet as her pastries!

The lady who works there is really nice and it is well maintained bakery. Area was clean and had bunch of varieties. We bought baklava from there, they were delicious !!!!! She even gave us different kind of baklava to try, both of them were great.

Shop owner was super nice and helped us put together boxes of treats to bring back. He mentioned that because they used honey, the sweets/desserts were good for 10 days to a month! He even put in an extra layer of plastic wrap to make sure it wouldn’t leak. Perfect for bringing back as souvenirs.

Lovely service. Amazing taste. Beautiful wrapping. Two options available today: traditional and “wedding” type (both are filo dough with syrup, no nuts) 25 euros per kilo of baklava UPDATE: 1. the careful wrapping helped the baklava stay perfectly intact in my carry on 2. The wedding type has a very light orange flavor to it and is individually wrapped so I prefer that 3. I bought another tray of traditional baklava at another bakery with great reviews, only because I wanted some baklava with pistachios to share with my family. While that baklava had pistachios, the quality and taste just cannot compare to the ones I got from Mitropolitikon. 4. The syrup is thick without being overwhelmingly sweet, which makes transporting the baklava a lot easier. The aforementioned pistachios baklava’s thinner syrup made it through the packaging and plastic bag and almost got everywhere in my carry on.

We’d heard this place had good dessert in Athens so we had to try for the sweet tooth that we have. And the place did not disappoint us at all! What amazing variety of sweets and desserts they’ve got and we bought the sweet of the Lav cake which was loaded with melted chocolate. We loved it extremely! We did a take away and the service was so quick, it hardly took them 30 seconds to pack it for us. Definitely going to go back after each of my meals to try different desserts here.

It was missing that deep coffee flavor that makes tiramisu special, and the cream didn’t quite have the authentic texture or taste. Nancy’s Sweet Home is a dessert lover’s dream! The cakes and pastries are absolutely delicious — rich, fresh, and beautifully made. The place has a cozy, quirky vibe, and it's right in the heart of Psirri — perfect for a sweet break while exploring. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the service was quick even though it was busy. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Athens and craving something sweet!

Not my finest photos, but the taste was amazing. Be warned, these are very sweet but extremely tasty. The chocolate cake was by far the star of my desserts. The ice cream that came with it was great too. Slightly on the pricier side for desserts you can get in Athens, but worth it for at least once, and for the portion size!!

A must goto place when you’re in Psiri for desert! Cheesecake was creamy, not overly sweet and the crust was not dry. A different tag on baklava with ice cream in the middle. Pretty sweet, but the ice cream cut some of the sweetness. The server was lovely and attentive. A great location.

i’ve been in this place with my family and we loved it. there aren’t many options in terms of grilled meat and fish, but food is very tasty, the waiters are super nice and the atmosphere will make you feel like home. you’ll find plenty of traditional dishes for all tastes. highly recommended

This restaurant is cozy and serves excellent traditional Greek food — a true little gem! The portions are generous; I had the Clay Pot Baked Moussaka (they also have a vegetarian option, but I went for the classic one) and it was absolutely delicious, definitely worth trying. The Greek salad was also excellent, and for just €0.40 they served warm, delicious pita! The wine we ordered was also excellent. To finish, they offered us some ice cream — the perfect way to end the meal ❤️.

Excellent food, attentive service, good prices. Fried anchovies was perfect and salad was delicious. Pastrami pie also did not disappoint. Having lunch there was the highlight of my day, recommended to everyone!

Very cheap restaurant yes, but the food was the worse we had after two weeks in Greece. The service was horrible, very rude waiters joking around with each other and ignore the customers. We received the wrong food and they didn’t even apologize; just took the food away as if we did something wrong. Eventually we did receive our orders but with such a delay that everything else was already cold on the table. Wouldn’t recommend at all, there are definitely better places with authentic kind people.

Visited for dinner and ordered via the a la carte menu. The atmosphere is beautiful and the waiting staff were very friendly and as attentive as they should be. Many of the items were great (with the exception of the Greek rib eye which was slightly underwhelming) but they all lacked the wow factor you expect at such a price range. The Spanish beef fillet was amazing and definitely the highlight of the night. All in all, Cookoovaya is a very nice option in the area, but there are far better options at this price range.

The restaurant is definitely in the top 10% of local greek cuisine. Modern approach to excellent ingredients with talented kitchen staff and very good table service. My waitress Anastasia was fabulous, charming and knew the menu. Praises to chef the cuisine- Anna. They have one more new location on an island.

Really dissapointing food. Extremely expensive for what it is. A salad of basically boiled potatoes for €20, the tiniest piece of amberjack fish served with literaly half a zuchini for €38, the driest piece of seabass fish served with barely boiled wild greens for €35. An untasteful joke. The service was great though! The tables near the open kitchen get way too much heat, best avoid.

This is a very nice restaurant with an elegant, tasteful interior. You can tell that a lot of attention was put into the design — it feels refined but comfortable. The tables are well spaced, offering a sense of privacy that many places lack, and the restaurant itself is quite spacious. The food is excellent and the wine selection is truly impressive — carefully chosen and perfectly matched with the menu. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars for the service. Perhaps we were drinking a bit faster than usual, but we often had to pour our own wine, which slightly took away from the otherwise classy experience. Overall, it’s a sophisticated and stylish restaurant, ideal for a nice evening out — though not exactly cheap.

I'm going this place the benefit of the doubt, it came highly recommended but I wasn't blown away by this meal. The raw fish of the day was so citrusy it was overpowering, I couldn't enjoy the natural flavors of the raw fish or other ingredients, it was just a melange of textures "a la limon." Truly disappointing bc I love a good crudo, and it wasn't cheap. My second dish was was the slow cooked goat, it was juicy and tender, but slightly on the sweet side which isn't my preferred flavor profile but others might enjoy it. The potatoes that accompany it were more like potato chips than fries. The staff was kind, and the restaurant is beautiful, don't know if I will give it another try as its quite pricy. One other thing, I didn't enjoy the style of service here in Athens that I experienced a few times at fine dining restaurants. As soon as you sit down, the waiter appears and, even before you get the menu they ask if you would like a certain item, it feels rushed, the client feels pressured and its s bit sneaky to ask if they want to have something like bread if its a premium product w an upsell without letting them know. I'd give this place a 3.9 if I could but since its not a 3 I'll give it a 4, in my opinion.

This is WHERE to dine in Athens. Love it! Ask for waitress Jonna. She is absolutely a professional. We had the lamb chops and grouper. Both were perfect. We shared the pear tart — oh Wow! We are going back tonight for aged mutton for two.

Everything we tried was absolutely delicious — top-quality ingredients and perfect execution. Prices are on the higher side for Athens standards, but definitely justified by the overall experience. The Orzo with fish was outstanding, and both the pasta and the goat neck are must-tries. Highly recommend for a refined yet warm dining experience.

One of the best restaurants I have ever visited. Vezene Athens is truly exceptional. The food was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Shrimps and the variety of starters were bursting with flavor. The main dishes, including the fettucce and the youvetsi were simply outstanding. The wine selection is phenomenal, offering both breadth and depth without being overwhelming. The service was flawless — professional, attentive, and wonderfully seamless. The staff worked together effortlessly and were almost invisible, appearing only when needed. Without a doubt, Vezene is a strong contender for a Michelin star. One of the best overall dining experiences of my life! I found this place by looking for a good steak in Athens. The reviews were good so I book a reservations. From the moment I entered the restaurant everything things started good and just got better. Ambience: The design is modern nature with lighting that accents the earth tones and naturalistic design. So when they say, “ come down in a garden” you definitely feel as in you have been set in a candle lit garden mixed with an umbrella elegant upscale restaurant! As the man out with a lady I am usually sitting in the chair as apposed to the bench, and of course these chair vary in comfort. At Vezene the chair was a solid wood frame with a leather fir. Leather cushion that made me want to order a set to take home. The bathroom was not only clean but design with every detail in mind. From the gap soap with a slight grit, to the small clothes to dry hands, and event the faucet was placed over a wooden slat sink that kept the natural design going. Service: The host, sommelier, server, server assistant, all were attentive and accommodating. We were recommended a wonderful small production semi-sweet muscat that was light fruit forward and delighted my guest. Our server went over recommendations and highlighted dishes that were staples and guest favorites. We followed her recommendation and were not disappointed by anything we tried. Plates and silverware were promptly reset for eat course. Wine and water was kept chill away from the table and refreshed as needed. Food: We tried at least 5 starters and a main dish, the core de beouef. My favorites were the pellet tomatoes with a roasted report dipping sauce and whipped cheese that was diving. And of course the Cote de beouf perfectly cooked medium sliced thin with roasted cauliflower, peppers, and garlic. Salted just so. For desert we have a dish that was moist chocolate cake with a ganaches, vanilla ice cream with winter spice, nuts. The combination of textures and layered flavors had my guest doing a little jig. Everyones taste are different so I will let the pictures speak to you. I can not recommend this restaurant enough!

It just can’t get better. On every trip I make to Greece I plan one dinner at Papadakis, and every time I leave I feel the same way: that I’ve had dinner at the best restaurant in the country. I always look forward to it and I’ve never been disappointed.

Wonderful dinner spot with a lovely ambience and friendly staff. We particularly enjoyed the aubergine, fava, dolmades, and the grouper; our kids loved the orzo with shrimp. And make sure to try the mastika ice cream as a final sweet finish + pallet cleanser. (One note to the kitchen: I found the Greek salad slightly too salty!) Be sure to book in advance on the weekends.

We also had a fish soup as a starter, which was excellent as well: rich in flavor and perfectly balanced. What a beautiful and peaceful place to enjoy delicious Greek cuisine. Surrounded by nature and fresh breeze, makes this place very unique. The staff was very friendly, The price is relatively decent, The food was delicious, And they have a very good selection of Greek wines, really tasty and good price as well. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The restaurant offers an array of authentic Eastern dishes. It’s a bit of a mixed bag. Some things on the menu were really solid but others were either odd or over cooked. The Kebap meat was really good but the domus sis was dry and a little too charred. The rice was actually the stand out for me, lovely fragrant flavour. I would come back to try other dishes but I wouldn’t say it was the best Eastern food in Athens.

The decoration is simple but the tastes are awesome. The Anadolu has a big variety of Eastern cuisine recipes from quality ingredients.

Vegetarian omelette with feta cheese, peppers, olives and tomato. We received water at the table (no additional charge) and we had cappuccinos and 2 glasses of Prosecco. The food was well presented, delicious and good. The omelette was prepared nicely and not burnt (as I experienced when ordering omelette). The owner, Agapi, and staff, Harianna, was present. The were friendly and helpful and created a friendly environment and good positive atmosphere. Definitely recommend a visit for an enjoyable brunch in a quaint and relaxing environment. Fantastic!!!

Superb restaurant, with super friendly service. The Poffies are a very cool breakfast item, which a portion being six filling pasty balls with filling. We also had a scrambled egg / tomato dish wish was delicious, although maybe a bit underdone. Really enjoyed our visit.

Such a great place for take away or dine in. Everything is made to order, so it will take fifteen minutes to prepare the food. These are similar to arancini - round breading covering a center with various ingredients. I had one order of beef & parmesean for lunch. 6 pieces, nice take away box too eat on the go. My only comment... It came with a sweet thai sauce and I think it would have been better with a tomato sauce. This type of dish is especially known for fruits and chocolate breakfast type options.

Small little place with outdoor seating. Great for breakfast. I had the Poffie egg which is fried egg with bacon on top of their pastry with a small salad. I got double eggs and everything was so flavorful. I also got the Poffie with butter, honey, and cinnamon. It was just the right amount of sweet, these little dough balls are simply amazing. If you are coming from the US don't expect quick service, that's normal so be patient it's worth the wait.

We didn’t eat here but the beer selection and vibe can’t be topped. Both bartenders we had were excellent with recommendations. They got busy a few times, but service was always great. (In late August, they may be a touch late opening with their posted time due to holidays, but it’s well worth the wait.)

Fabulous selection of beers! Ee tried the Greek draught ones, they were ok, but not really impressive beers as you can have in the Baltics, Nordics etc. Nicr atmosphere, cool music, prices a bit high but acceptable.

A nice little place by the busy street of Ermou. They actually have one kind of sweet the Profiterole. The thing is thatvis always fresh since they prepare it at the time you order it. You can add a various choices of chocolate or ice cream and topings. The taste is really great and the prices are normal. If you are in the center don’t miss it. Its one of the best places for having a sweet in the center of Athens.

Amazing dessert place, it was a great experience. Surprisingly this dessert was not heavily sweet, it was just the right amount of sweetness. It has a pudding consistency and their flavors are absolutely delicious. 100% recommend this Patisserie🍨

So delicious… had the caramel & bitter chocolate (wasn’t bitter). A small one is more than enough, definitely had a sugar high. It was a like a really high end old school pudding. Pistachio eclair was also really good.

I very liked that the profiteroles were crispy. For me it was quite unexpected and I really enjoyed it. The filling was okayish but it’s definitely not the top one. Different crème they put on top was good. The eclairs and other things they sell i didnt really like. They were oaky but not like I’d buy them a second time. The profiteroles are definitely worth trying.

On one of the busiest streets of Athens, Ermou Street, there’s a place where you can have your own profiteroles made. I tried mine with milk chocolate and pistachio, and I really liked it. Highly recommend to everyone!

I discovered it last year when I visited, and this year we stopped by every evening for dessert during our trip. The milk chocolate is excellent. We tried the ice cream and the profiterole cream versions, both delicious. If I come again, I'll definitely stop by again. If you're lucky and arrive at a quiet time, there's also water served at the tables. But there's usually a line in the evening, so it's definitely worth the wait.

There are varieties of cream with pistachio cream or cream with chocolate sauce.they put profiteroles on the bottom and add these sauces on top.you can add fruit, chocolate chips, hazelnuts and pistachios on top.it can be tried to taste it in passing, it does not faint like it is not too sugary.

If you like profiteroles, chocolate and ice cream, this is surely a place to try. Puffy tiny profiteroles stuffed with pastry cream (crème pâtissière), with your choice of chocolate (classic, bitter, white...), whipped cream (chantilly), and a choice of ice cream... altogether a very tasty dessert after visiting the city on a hot day.

This review is based solely on the lemon cake that was recommended to us by the shop attendant. They said it is their best selling cake and after trying it, they must have lied. It is truly one of the worst cakes we have ever had; it was: 1. Too lemony 2. Too soggy 3. Too bitter (to the point of being inedible) The slices cut in the photo were not eaten, only bitten and quickly thrown away. I probably wouldn't leave a review even though the cake was egregiously bad and we were instructed to get it, but at €30 it is just ridiculous and my sense of injustice has lasted long enough to write this review. Though the place is quite pretentious, I would try other things in the future and would modify this review if I do.

We flew Aegean air and were given a chocolate with our meal. It tasted better than my Godiva. We looked up the company and found they were in Greece so we went there. They had so many tasty choices. They don't ship and they only had that one store. So we bought a chocolate bar home. It was well worth the trip.

Such a lovely high end bakery! The staff were so friendly and helpful in explaining different easter cookies, breads and chocolate eggs. We got the last Tsoureki and it looks absolutely heavenly! Can’t wait to try it tomorrow with my family for Easter. I’ll definitely come back to try their chocolates and pastries in the future. We had breakfast in this place and it was amazing. I had the Cruffin filled with hazelnut cream: one of the best sweet I have ever had. My husband took the almond croissant which was superb! We loved our morning pastries from Holy Llama! The shop is very inviting with a delicious smell of freshly baked goods. We especially liked the almond croissant, it was so fresh and yummy! This was one of the best dining experiences we had in Athens. There is a set menu and it’s delicious! Best garbanzo soup I’ve ever had! Everything was so good! The atmosphere feels authentic in a basement with large wine barrels and only a few tables. The chef is an old man cooking in the corner on a tiny stove and grill. I’ve had this placed pinned to go for years and finally made it! I love how discreet it is, the cozy and family run feel. No menu, just what the sweetest papou has cooked up for the day and it was DELICIOUSLY rustic, home style cooking for the soul served along with their own wine.

Wonderful late lunch meal in this atmospheric below-street taverna. Food comes promptly after being seated and the table covered with paper sheets accompanied by a crusty pre-sliced chunky bread. Four dishes arrived promptly - pappardelle, wonderfully creamy chick peas, butter beans, grilled sardines and a salad with big chunks of tomato, cucumber and spicy peppers. Loved every morsel.

Cozy rooftop with gorgeous view. Sit on the rail by the inside restaurant to hear the live Greek music and see the traditional dancing. The grilled octopus was perfect, and local wine was a great recommendation. They have many tables linking the steps up the hill which is a fun experience to try on our next visit. The tzatziki was excellent and we put it on everything. Great date night spot and worth the drive from Athens to Plaka. Reservations recommended!

I had an awkward experience here. I am a half black half white American, and I’m not sure what exactly it was, but the staff treated me very strangely especially when it was time to pay. It was as if they didn’t think I was going to, because they were hawk eyeing my every move it seemed. Also, some of the patrons would point and murmur and it just felt very uncomfortable. At this point I have been to quite a few bars and restaurants and have never felt like this, and I don’t exactly know what it was about me that made everyone behave so strangely here. On a side note, the life music and the vibe was very nice and interesting, so as a local or someone who looks like a local, you’d likely have a better experience. I wanted to like this place but there were just too many moments where I felt like a zoo animal that I just can’t recommend for others who look like me. The lamb chops were okay but very chewy and not quite as good as other places nearby. Good luck!

We lived our dinner at geros Tou Moria. Food was best and entertainment was so fun. Loved the dancers and the music. Nicolas our server suggested food selections from menu. He made our night unforgettable. Our only regret is that it was our first night and we had been up for 48 hours straight so we couldn’t make it through to the end of the show.

I stayed at The Zillers with a friend a few months ago and we honestly could not recommend the hotel and restaurant highly enough. The dinner and wine pairing were amazing and showcased a variety of elements of Greek culture and cuisine. The staff were incredibly attentive and the view of the acropolis made for a beautiful atmosphere. The hotel staff, however, were the absolute highlight for me. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and maintained excellent communication both before and after our stay. I'll contextualise this statement... upon arriving in Athens from Australia to start a month of euro summer, I was informed that my suitcase had been lost. I received no additional information from the airline and could not get in contact with an airline representative in Greece, Australia, or elsewhere to sort the situation out. We also only had one night in Athens before island hoping. The reception staff at the Zillers took the issue on for me, and continued to communicate with Athens Airport even after I had checked out. The amazing staff managed to get my suitcase back to me a few days later - something I genuinely believe would not have happened without their help. From now on, I will be staying here anytime I go to Athens and I will be recommending this amazing hotel and restaurant to friends and family.

The staff was friendly, professional, and took the time to explain each dish, which made the whole evening even more enjoyable. The breathtaking view of the Acropolis added the perfect touch to an already magical atmosphere. Yes, it’s a bit on the pricey side, but every euro felt worth it for such a unique, once-in-a-lifetime experience. The service, the taste, the view — everything was simply fantastic. It’s easy to see why Ziller's has earned it's Michelin star — it’s completely deserved.

We only dined here, we did not stay here. The service was outstanding. We arrived a few minutes early and were promptly led up the elevator to our table. With there being 4 of us, we had to split into 2 groups for the elevator because it was very small and it had a full mop bucket inside. That was really the only bad thing I can say about our evening. We ordered the smaller tasting menu with wine pairings. The sommelier was very friendly and knowledgeable about the wines. Our server was also very helpful in explaining the dishes. The night was beautiful and we had a great view of the acropolis. The food was devine and beautifully presented. It was very rich however which made me wish we hadn't done this the night before our big flight home!

We had dinner at the rooftop restaurant. The view is fantastic and it’s the main interest of this restaurant. We spent 450 € for 2 set menus, one bottle of wine at 90€ and 2 glasses of champagne. The food was well presented and nice, but for this price it was very average and lacked of creativity and lacked of flavor nuances. Apart from the view, I found it very overpriced

My first Michelin star experience and Zillers didn't disappoint. The service was excellent, every dish put on the table in synch, every crumb removed quickly yet not interrupting our experience. We opted for the 12 course meal and honestly not every course is for everyone. The steamed monkfish, cod capaccio, and prawn valley were my favorites as well as every dessert! We really regret we didn't have time the next day to stop by their pastry bar. And the view, what can you say. Eating while watching the sunset on the Acropolis is a once in a lifetime experience.

Terkenlis is not what it used to be, at least as far as "tsoureki" is concerned. Better off getting chocolate staffed "tsoureki" elsewhere... However I recently tried the chocolate tart and have to say is one of the best I have experienced.

Terkenlis SA is really famous for the Greek sweet breads, especially those who are stuffed with chocolate or other materials! It's definitely one of the best places to buy sweets!

Had the spinach and feta pie. You can tell the place is proud of their product. There is a lot of choice: baked, fried, savory and sweet, but the popular ones are definitely the spinach our and the cheese pastry. I have to say.. I might've had a bad batch. Would definitely give it another try.

I stopped by to grab a pie around 11:30 on a weekday. There was no queue, and I was served immediately. The pie was great, with crispy, light phyllo dough and a lot of spinach and feta filling. All the pies are kept in heated shelves, so you'll get your slice nicely warm.

A bakery, tasty pastries. I was after lunch so I ate mostly the sweet ones. I didn't like the chocolate one, the small pastery tasted like a baklava with cream, this was very tasty. The other pastery had apple and castard, it was tasty but for me wasn't special in comparison to other pasteries I've ate.

The art of pie… So simple and delicious… I tried the Zucchini/feta, and the fried potato pie. Both were so delicious. Staff were all so friendly and warm.

Excellent tsoureki. Both in taste and texture. The ice creams (especially the pistachio one) : out of this world. And the florentine biscuits to die for , especially with a strong coffee in the morning. Visit , buy ! Highly recommended from someone who loves his sweets

As a captain of a charter boat, this is where I buy traditional Greek sweets for my guests. Their baklava is the best. I also get baton sale which are great and "tsouréki", a traditional Greek brioche-like bread.

Fantastic greek sweets and cakes. We had siropiasta (greek sirup sweets) and tsoureki (yeast braid). Especially the tsoureki was soft and delicious 😋. Yummy 5 stars!!!

This place has very delicious and refined food that is unique. The mushrooms and broccoli are a must and so are the desserts. Uniquely seasoned and beautifully presented plates. The word seems to be spreading in Athens that the owner moved this restaurant to this place because Keramikos might be the the new up-and-coming hip area. And it truely has the feeling as the restaurant was filled to the brim. The staff is really friendly and if you get a table inside it has a calming and relaxing atmosphere while outside it is much busier but nonetheless comfortable. If you visit Keramikos this is a place not to be missed.

One star less for atmosphere because I don't like music to be too loud, so I had a seat outside on a wobbly bench. The waitress went out of her way to translate the whole menu to English and the wines we agreed on were a perfect match for the food. And the food... Just wow. I really want to meet the chef (and marry her maybe?)

Nice cozy place, usually crowded so it would be wise to book a table up front. The food is delicious, big portions, normal priced, not a big variety, but that's what makes all options extremely well prepared! I visited the place on July 6th, 2022, a party of 4. I have longed to eat there for quite some time now so I was really excited when a friend suggested we visited. We ordered: 1) Savoury loukoumades: very tasty and accompanied with a nice sauce. I would prefer them a bit crunchier though 2) Meatballs: this is supposed to be their signature dish and the one I was anticipating the most but it was a bit of a letdown. Not a bad dish but I do not understand what all the hype is about 3) Fried chicken: Fantastic! We asked for seconds 4) Risotto: Another fantastic dish! 5) Fries: As they should be 6) Lentils: This is a bit misleading as the dominant element was rice and not lentils. Tasty but I would prefer it less salty. 7), 8): Both desserts (ekmek and chocolate tart) was very nice. Since we visited the rooftop in Mosaikon hotel, temperature was very nice and we could enjoy our dinner despite a hot July day. Service was attentive and professional. Would visit again and would recommend.

A cult terrace in the down town of Athens, quite near to Monastiraki, hosts this brilliant "project FIX" small gastro-restaurant. After sunset, the view to the illuminated Akropolis is possible from some specific points of this terrace (if it was possible from all points, then the prices ​​would certainly be completely different). We really enjoyed a dinner last Sunday there. I must admit that the team of chefs made sure to satisfy our palates, feeling that everything we tasted was, honestly, value for money. Fresh green "roka" salad with apricot slices, walnuts and vinegrette, Mushrooms' risotto, cooked and flavored with fresh butter, Fluffy grilled minced beef meatballs, accompanying with a masterpiece yogurt cream and tomato dip. Short but very good wine list. We finished our dinner with an excellently executed cool and light dessert: Ekmek with ice cream and that unforgettable mastic cream. Thanks Orestis from the team of chefs he proposed us to taste it. Many thanks to the polite waiters. Recomendation (especially for non Greeks): MUST VISIT. I saw the kuneffe sign and had to stop and try some before I left Greece. It took about 10 minutes for them to heat up, and tasted fantastic! The melty cheese is slightly tart, and pairs well with the syrup-y shredded filo.

Delicious authentic baklava + Greek coffee! The chocolate pistachio was delicious and all the original flavors not too sweet or dry. Open late as well which was great way to finish the day.

Great place to try authentic baklava. Got the traditional pistachio baklava and it was so good had to take some home. They were able to put the baklava in a box and wrap it so it would be safe for travel. Would definitely recommend.

I eat baklava from a couple of different locations in Athena and I can say 100 % that It was very delicious which I tasted in Smyrni Baklava. The ice cream is also nice. The workers are very friendly and the price is affordable.

Excellent "kariokes Xanthis" (a bite-sized cake with walnuts covered in dark chocolate) and homemade aromatic "tsoureki" (typical Easter cake) in its simplest form but super tasty! The big and very pleasant surprise was the "kourampies" treat (a Christmas biscuit with almonds covered in sugar powder) which is no doubt the best I had in many years! I will be back for more soon! Fair prices definitely matching the quality.

This is a good bakery,sandwich, sweets and coffee shop with very tasty items to buy.This firm established in 1890 in France but I think it does not respect it's customers very much. Why I am saying that, just because only one lady employee tries to serve everybody in Chalandri shop and also prepares coffees ,customers wait and wait to be served.It is also the most expensive kind of shop in the whole Chalandri. I will continue going and buying things but they must also do something about their service.
