TJ's Seafood Market & Grill Preston Royal is a family-run establishment that offers a wide variety of fresh and smoked seafood, as well as sandwiches and prepared dishes to take away. With daily deliveries of high-quality seafood from around the world, this market and restaurant has gained a reputation for serving some of the freshest catches in the city.
A favorite spot in Dallas. The food is always flavorful and next level. My favorite dish is the sea bass enchiladas, and also recommend the market catch. The staff is welcoming and kind. Solid wine selection. Some pics of Valentine’s Day dinner. Love to TJs.

I've been here many times with friends & family throughout the years. Slammed packed busy days to slow days. I always forgot to leave a review. For dine in, they have always been consistent across the board. The only little downside was tonight with a over cooked deep-fried hush-puppy (still delicious) and not having their Mac & cheese anymore (my daughter's favorite).
Yong K — Google review
This was our first time coming to this restaurant, and I have to say it was super cute! We started off with a bowl of clam chowder, and also the lobster dip, which was a suggestion from our server. Both were absolutely delicious! For our entrées, we got the Tuna poke bowl and the Fish tacos. Both were very fresh, delicious, and a good value for the price. They were a little short staffed today, but our server really took great care of us. We would definitely return
Ryan R — Google review
The staff and service was impeccable, however the ambiance was slightly detracted because of the slight smell of fish inside the restaurant. For this reason I opted for the patio, however the location is in a strip mall so it's not optimal. I had the market price lobster roll which is fairly big and I think decent value and quite tasty. There is some cleaning that needs to be done around the tables as there is some candy and wrappers under the table. A few little tweaks would bring the overall experience up a notch, but like I said the staff was on point and engaging while still professional and very fast.

Perfect!! Fantastic experience, great selection of oysters, really great bloody mary. Fish & Chips were awesome! Wait staff was attentive and knew the menu well! This will be one of my regular places!
Properly W — Google review
This place is really good, can’t wait to try other menu items. By far best dish is the fish and chips. I tried the hot lava shrimp stater it was very delicious. Spicy noodles very filling. I came back and I got the lobster roll, it’s not the best thing on the menu. Mashed potatoes were OK but they were warm not fresh in my opinion. The lemons they give you with the roll is great. Will be back Little pricey but food is worth most of the time. Molten lava cake was too sweet ice cream was good. Ice cold water refilled when needed by attentive servers.

Have been a customer since 2009, have had many different dishes, most very good and some just okay, but tonight I had the worst.. the lobster roll is imo a loss for me! The roll was nothing but a butter soaked mess, a mere 3 pieces of lobster meat, and cold chips 🤔 I could hardly wait for my wife to finish her meal so we could go and just get the plate out of my view… I should have taken the persons hint when I asked how hers was and she said just so so, and she was a regular as well, o well maybe the next visit will be better(it better be)! And I have noticed that the indoor volume level just keeps increasing, I just don’t understand why people have to yell at each other while dining, it makes my decision to visit an easy one over a more quiet respectful indoor environment!!!
Devil D — Google review
Came back again a few weeks after my first visit and really enjoyed it! The shrimp tacos are phenomenal. I enjoyed the Caesar salad with smoked salmon (salmon def the star of the dish) but my friend got the house salad and asked for both of the dressings (wasabi and champagne) and wow…amazing, i want to go back just for that! My first time here and can’t wait to go back! Really enjoyed my visit. They’ve been around for 34 years now and Jon the owner, told us all about what they’re doing to really revamp TJ’s and you can see it, feel it and taste it! They have a little market in the front for you to grab and go. They have fish/seafood deliveries daily! So the selection (and where it’s coming from) constantly changes. Everything was so fresh (never frozen) and perfectly cooked. You could taste how fresh everything was. The lobster in the lobster roll was just wow…no hiding cheap or frozen lobster there - lightly dressed in butter and it was all about the lobster (and a great bun from a local bakery). Got to try a little bit of everything (it was an invited dinner but you could tell from everything I heard and saw, that the quality is good consistently, not just this one time) and I am grateful for it! A few dishes I would’ve never thought to order on my own but thoroughly enjoyed and want to go back for again especially the sea bass enchiladas … wow, amazing. They have a handful of dishes that they’ve had around forever because their locals / consistent clientele come back again and again for certain things but they also refresh parts of the menu from time to time (which they just did) and I think they do a great job of keeping what’s popular while also bringing in some fresh new things. The smoked salmon Caesar salad was unbelievably good. If I lived around the corner I’d literally be there once a week just for that, right up my alley. I really enjoyed everything. The tacos were great, you can get them a few different ways (on corn, flour or lettuce wrap; fried or grilled). The dips (cold spread trio) were really delicious. Excellent shrimp cocktail and the coconut shrimp was good but I could’ve used more coconut (and bigger shreds of it…tasted more like fried shrimp than coconut shrimp). The bacon aioli sauce for the hush puppies was awesome. The salmon over creamed corn and broccolini was really nice. The whole menu sounds amazing, and great to have an excellent option for seafood in an area that’s predominantly bbq and meat focused. Desserts were also really nice, made in house there. The key lime cheesecake was my favorite. The chocolate pie was great. The bananas foster was their own spin with angel food cake I think? A nice lighter option for dessert. But the cheesecake won out for sure. Highly recommend!

Susie made my experience sooo special and wonderful! Excellent service and delicious food. I had the crab cake for an appetizer which was moist and tasty. I had the spicy crab pasta for my main course and I loved that it had big chunks of crab in it. It was seasoned well too. Will definitely come back next time I’m in town.

Dinner was wonderful, and our server was fabulous. To our taste a bit salty because we cook our food, not salty. I forgot to mention that when our waiter asked for a diet restriction. It was my husband BD dinner, and they gave us free a bake Alaska. Everyone should try this dessert.
Happycola * — Google review
Wonderfully fresh seafood expertly presented. The Hokkaido sea scallops were perfectly cooked and served over the best risotto I've had in a really long time. The cocktail list had some delicious offerings, and I had the Remy Martin sangria. The gigantic peanut butter pie was enough for 4 people, and is smooth and creamy without being too rich or too sweet.
Michele — Google review
The night was a perfect dinner thanks to our phenomenal waitress Amber! She made great drink and dish recommendations, all while moving in sync with the kitchen and our dining pace. And we left with our belly’s full due to the exceptional cuisine provided by the chefs at the Oceanaire. I personally recommend getting the Chef’s special “Texas Redfish with White Cheddar Grits and Crawfish Butter”. The fish was tender and succulent, and blended well with the rich crawfish butter over the grits. And for dessert, you can not leave without the “Baked Alaska”, which is beautifully presented ablaze with meringue on top of strawberry and vanilla ice cream, and a fluffy cake. I appreciate the service and overall vibe of this restaurant, and will 10 out of 10 recommend you try The Oceanaire Seafood Room when you’re in town.

Very classic, great customer service, the appetizer was delicious. Got the spicy shrimp. It was a date night. And we had an amazing dinner and time

I visited the Oceanaire Seafood Room during Restaurant Week 2025. The prix fixe (pre set menu) was $49 and I selected the mussels, salmon, and strawberry shortcake. They were all tasty and I love the restaurant's ambiance.

This place is amazing, I enjoyed the raw oysters. They were cleaned well and were really tasty even for an oyster. My mother ordered a ceacer salad and it was stupendous. Bravo for the chefs!

The food was good and the atmosphere was quiet and warming, conversation was no problem and our booth was private. The king crab was extravagant but I didn't take a picture because it was cleaned and plated table side

Pub
The Crafty Irishman Public House, located at 1800 Main St, is a popular Irish pub in Dallas. The pub offers a variety of traditional Irish dishes such as scotch eggs, shepherd's pie, and Irish stew alongside salads, sandwiches, and burgers. The establishment prides itself on its deep roots in Irish tradition and provides an extensive bar menu featuring a wide selection of Irish whiskeys, scotch, bourbon, wine, cocktails, and coffee.
Black and tan spicy cheese curd shepherds pie. This place is amazing. Love the atmosphere weight staff is very friendly. Came to Dallas to see Kenny Wayne Shepherd. Got here early to have dinner here.

I am writing to offer a glowing recommendation for The Crafty Irishman Public House in downtown Dallas. My recent visit there was nothing short of spectacular, solidifying its place as a must-visit spot for anyone seeking a true taste of Ireland coupled with outstanding American fare. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was a perfect blend of cozy Irish pub and lively downtown hotspot. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making us feel right at home. For my meal, I had the pleasure of devouring the Irish American Burger, and it was a revelation. The patty was cooked to perfection, juicy and flavorful, and the toppings were a brilliant fusion of classic pub elements with a unique twist that made it stand out. It's a burger I'll be dreaming about until my next visit. My wife, equally delighted, ordered the Monte Cristo. It was a masterpiece—a golden-fried delight with the perfect balance of savory ham and turkey, all complemented by a dusting of powdered sugar. She couldn't stop raving about how it was one of the best she's ever had. Beyond the food, the drink selection was impressive, and the overall vibe of the place was exactly what you hope for in a great pub—friendly, inviting, and full of character. The Crafty Irishman Public House is more than just a restaurant; it's an experience. The quality of the food, the warmth of the staff, and the charming ambiance make it a true gem in the heart of Dallas. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable meal and a fantastic time. We are already looking forward to our next visit. Sincerely, A very satisfied customer"

Didn’t eat here, to be fair, but enjoyed a Black Bush with ice and a glass of wine in a genuinely engaging, friendly, and inclusive atmosphere. Loved the traditional feel—barman and servers were fantastic. Drop in, visit—you won’t be disappointed.
John B — Google review
Loved the happy hour pub pretzels! Those and the brown bread ice cream are not to be missed in my opinion. The Irish mule was really refreshing with a nice spice from the ginger. I was so excited about the scotch eggs based on the pictures, the eggs were cooked perfectly but the sausage on the outside ended up a little hard and dry.
Elizabeth ( — Google review
A nice Irish pub in Downtown Dallas. I had the scotch egg appetizer and bangers and mash entree, while my brother enjoyed a burger. Both hit the spot; in particular the bangers were very juicy, and combined with the gravy and mashed potatoes made for an excellent savory bite of food. My wife recommended this restaurant, and I would definitely return if I was in town.
Thaddeus H — Google review
TL;DR: Real Irish pub vibes, legit late-night food, rare red ale on draft, and kind staff doing the work of three people. Not for influencers—just people who love good beer and better bar food. The Crafty Irishman is hands down my favorite of the local Irish pubs downtown. It’s the kind of place that neighboring bars recommend when you ask where to eat past 10pm. That’s not a review—that’s a badge of honor. The food? Way better than it needs to be. Fish and chips, scotch (fried) eggs, hearty classics—comfort food done right. But the real gem? The imported red ale on draft. Not something you see often, and it’s worth the trip alone. Pair it with one of their beer-and-chaser combos and you’re winning. The place is cozy, casual, and actually feels like a pub—not some Instagram thirst trap with crazy cocktails. Service can be a little slow (one server doing the Lord’s work), but they’re friendly, know their stuff, and make it feel like a neighborhood hangout. No frills, no filters—just great food, great beer, and even better pub energy.

2 vegan options, lots of fried food and a great location. Service was attentive and friendly. Curd fried balls - 5/5 Fish and chips - 5/5 Shepards pie (vegan) - 3/5 (very little seasoning) House salad with Honey vinegar sauce - 5/5
Nika — Google review
A great vibe in the heart of downtown. The pub definitely resembles one in a small Irish town. The entire experience was wonderful. The waitress was absolutely the bees knees. She had a wonderful smile, warm personality, made recommendations and was constantly checking the table. The food was very good with good portions and very reasonable pricing. I had the pretzels as an appetizer, chicken tikka masala for my entree and banana cinnamon rolls as dessert. Everything was very good but the dessert was very unique and simply delicious. A caramelized banana wrapped in a churro. The entire experience was exceptional and I'll definitely be back.

Brunch restaurant
Ten Bells Tavern in Oak Cliff is a laid-back British-influenced spot known for its pub grub and extensive beer selection, including European brews. The tavern is famous for its deeply crispy fish and chips served on a traditional British newspaper, accompanied by a splash of malt vinegar. The zesty, smoky wings tossed in Franks Red Hot and garlic are also highly recommended.
This tavern has the best food. I am talking actual gourmet quality meals in a tavern setting. This place is special. The people are friendly. the vibe is laid back, and the bartenders treat you like family. I am impressed by the welcoming environment and the consistent level of hospitality. Did I mention the food? I am speaking of chicken fried steak with real potatoes. All of their meals are made from scratch in their kitchen. I enjoy chilling on their large patio. This tavern has live music and DJs to entertain. The hometown team is always in season and you never have to miss the big game. I recommend 10 Bells Tavern for an enjoyable experience.

Best brunch around!! Get the country breakfast and you won’t be disappointed. Their burgers and Nachos are amazing! Jake and Don are some of the best bartenders, if your anywhere around the area, you have to stop by. The patio is also dog friendly which is always a plus!

So glad we did not pass this by...fresh made from scratch fabulous food. Even the mash potatoes were made from scratch and wonderful. Service impeccable....Really suggest stopping in.....their chicken fried steak was superb.......just a great suprise
Juston C — Google review
I really wish I could support this place because it’s so close, but I live right next door and the music from their outdoor patio carries late into the night. It’s not blasting, but it’s loud enough that I get woken up and have to sleep with headphones in most Saturday nights. I’ve filed multiple reports with the city and reached out to the restaurant directly, but unfortunately nothing has changed. I understand it’s a place of business, but I hope they can find a way to be more considerate of the neighbors nearby.
Ash G — Google review
I’ve been here twice and enjoyed both visits. The atmosphere is laid back. We sat on the patio and ordered from the bar. The waiter came out as he was able, but there weren’t dedicated servers. That being said, the service was good and friendly and the food was AMAZING! The Bangers and Mash are excellent. My fave was the Fish and Chips. Superb breading and great flavor. Highly recommend.

Fish & chips restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Texas, Fish & Fizz is a charming pub that beautifully captures the essence of British cuisine. With its nostalgic counter-service and a menu that boasts legendary Fish and Chips, this spot is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic flavors. The fish served here comes from sustainably sourced cod found in the coldest subtropical waters, ensuring top-notch quality.
Awesome place to get fish and chips. First time here and I enjoyed the food. I ordered the bangers and mash, small fish and chips, and onions rings. All the food seems to be made in house which is another plus. They also have a cool store attached that has snacks/foods from the UK.
Cesar E — Google review
Wow this place is good. The fish was well cooked and the batter was light, crispy and airy. The chips were cut traditional with the perfect fry and almost mash like insides. The tartars sauce is incredible. We also ordered Bangers and mash. The sausages had a nice rosemary flavor and the gravy for the mash potatoes was super savory as if it was from a pot roast. This restaurant is delicious and I cant wait to eat here again.
Philip H — Google review
In my travels across the world, this place has the best fish and chips in America. The fish is moist and cooked to perfection, oh so nice. The batter was incredibly light and crispy. Wow. As far as the fries, they were not my favorite. I know it’s not traditional, but I like thin crispy fries. We also had the crab dip. It was tasty and hot and it went well with the fries. The onion rings were good. The chicken strips were only so, so. Like they came out of a pre-made freezer bag. But it’s for the kids and they enjoyed it. I hope this place continues to stay open, as again this is the best tasting fish and chips I’ve had in America. But they need to amp up the menu, like Cajun or truffle fries. And I think burgers would do better than steak and ale pie. Also, I think they need to display only a limited number of alcoholic beverages to make decisions easier and faster. Bottom line: Enjoy the fish and chips.
Mike T — Google review
I was utterly charmed by this place. It’s super cute down to the shirts for sale with the cute sayings like “Cod save the queen”. It’s got a beach side feel to it—bright but welcoming. Not pretentious at all. It’s the kind of place you want to hang out in with your friends. Upon entering, you’re at the bar with a small market set up next to it. For food, you go into the main dining area and make your way around a beach like fence divider to the counter to order. The aisle is wide enough for a wheel chair and shouldn’t be too hard to navigate for those that need more accessible friendly options. We came here for a book club dinner group. Our book was British and fish and fizz was the perfect compliment to our story. We shared a few orders of crab dip as a table which was quite scrumptious. It does have a bit of spice to it but it was the kind that compliments, not overwhelms. Most of us ordered the fish and chips happy hour special. It was a large piece of code with chips (aka Thick potatoy fries) and your choice of side. I opted for the curry sauce side and it was perfect! The fries aren’t my favorite style, but I believe they are the most traditional for fish chips. But the fish was perfectly fried and seasoned. Absolute delicious! One of us got the bangers and mash which I got to try—delicious. I was nervous about the Guinness gravy, but the Guinness wasn’t overwhelming. We skipped dessert this time but they did have a few options like sticky toffee puddind or bread and butter pudding. There are games outside and an old black cab with the restaurant logo. It was such a fun touch to the atmosphere. Overall, I really enjoyed this spot. The owner introduced himself to me as I was taking my pics. His name is Nick, and while he was busy in the kitchen, he gave me time anyway. Quite charming and friendly with his lovely British accent. I would love to come back with my family as I know my kids and husband would love it too.

I had read an article about Fish & Fizz and we decided to try it out. The fish and chips were delicious! The fish was perfect, as well as the light, crispy batter. 😋 We also had the crab dip appetizer and it was crazy good! What an unexpected treat! We have lived in New England many years, so we know fantastic seafood. The British Emporium store is fabulous as well, the restaurant and store are combined. All things English. It was a delightful afternoon! We also purchased some English desserts to go.

We recently stopped by to check out this new British themed restaurant in Richardson. Wow! The food reminded be of past trips to London and Bristol. My wife had the Fish & Chips, which were lightly breaded, with perfect thick cut fries. I went with Bangers & Mash, the breading on the onion rings was also light, so was the onion flavor. The whole dish was ridiculous, it took effort to not lick the plate. The Bangers were sourced from Dallas Deep Cuts, a fantastic local butcher shop. The beer is sourced from Four Bullets another Richardson staple. Personally, I dig a restaurant who goes the extra mile to try and source as many ingredients from other local businesses. If you’re in the area, put this on your must go list! We will definitely be returning soon.

I spend a quarter of so of the year in Australia so I have been around the real deal when it comes to fish and chips. This is as close to a shop you would find there as it gets in Dallas although one of the owners is British and I think that is the vibe they want. The cod was great and look forward to trying some of their special fish with chips in the future. They have the standard sauces I like including sea salt. Also the mushy peas were good too. All I missed was chicken salt for my chips but can always bring that with me next time and there will be a next!

Our new favorite fish and chips place. The staff is very friendly, the decor is beach casual and the fish is exceptional. It is a wonderful combination of cod and light breading. it goes well with the Billion Dollar Blonde ale. We finished off dinner with the excellent Bread and Butter pudding. We plan on being back soon...

Truluck's is a seafood restaurant in Dallas that features half-price happy hours, a deep wine list, and sleek surroundings. The restaurant is known for its exceptional dining experiences, with menu items such as stone crab and Dutch yellowtail. Steaks are also offered at Truluck's Ocean's Finest Seafood and Crab, including prime ribeye and filet Oscar royale.
I can't fully express what an amazing experience we had at Truluck's. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed. Shortly after being seated and served water, a waiter came by with a tray of lemons, cucumbers and limes, which was a lovely touch. We had the Ahi Tuna Tartare, which was light and bursting with flavor. For my entrée, I had the blue crab stuffed lobster tail; which melted in my mouth. The lobster bisque drizzled on top really brought everything together. To celebrate our anniversary, they brought out the baked Alaska, which was just as delicious and flavorful as the last two dishes. Sydney, our waitress was excellent. She was attentive, had great recommendations, and made sure to take care of us throughout the evening. We'd love to have her as our server again, she truly went above and beyond.

My boyfriend and I visited Trulucks Dallas a couple days ago for my birthday. Absolutely amazing! The staff were pleasant, and friendly. The food was so delicious, and the drinks were great! The staff were friendly and wished me a happy birthday throughout the entire evening. The atmosphere was intimate, and relaxing. There was live music. Everything was perfect! Thank you all so much for a memorable evening.

(Dallas) Greeter very attentive to the needs of disabled patron and offered use of the elevator. Manager met us upstairs and we were delighted with birthday table decor/card. Our waiter, Jeffery, was attentive without hovering and the food....cooked and seasoned to perfection. Even the music Playlist was outstanding, can't go wrong with the 70s-80s era!! Very fine dining with a casual, upscale atmosphere...would definitely return. * previously attended a group gathering at this location with a pre-selected menu, this is the first with full range of service and menu options.

It was an experience. The server was eloquent and knowledgeable. Although this is higher end, it was not pretentious. There was no feeling of rushing patrons to turn tables. We were there for a birthday party of 5 and it was just a wonderful atmosphere to be in.

Quite pricey, but a wonderful special birthday dinner. All the food was amazing as was the service. We were slightly disappointed with the espresso martini- we ordered the sweet version- not at all. The main dining area is beautiful at night.

My companion and I had a wonderful dinner experience before a DSO symphony performance just a short distance away. I only have dessert photos to share-which were amazing but so was my Ora King Salmon from New Zealand. Wow! Everyone is so nice, from the valet to the host ("lovely dress you're wearing tonight ma'am" 😍) to the waiter (dang I didn't get his name) who took great care of us (even took great pictures of us upon our request). We were upstairs in the quiet dining area, but I did cruise the bar on the first floor to use the ladies room. The place was hopping! Great vibe and live music!

Excellent 5 stars all the way around. We were in town to celebrate my husband‘s birthday and had the best lunch at the McKinney St. location. I highly recommend the Sea-bass with crab fried rice. It was cooked to perfection! And the baked Alaska was to die for. Don’t forget the oysters with the house made champagne mignonette. Delicious!

Stopped in after a show at Winspera Opera House and sat at the bar and was immediately greeted by Riley, who was a phenomenal bartender and took excellent care of me. Highlights included the extra dirty martini, calamari and lobster but everything was pretty good. Looking forward to returning. Oh, the entertainment was spectacular!

The menu features a variety of pub grub and hearty fare, including shared plates like duck wings and grits, as well as classic dishes such as burgers and fish and chips. Additionally, the establishment offers a fantastic brunch experience that draws crowds.
Enjoyed our first brunch. Great selection of drinks (38+ beers), cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks. I had the mother and child reunion and my husband had the fajita omelette. He had the milky punch and i had a beer. One of my favorite parts of our experience was that the manager pointed out that my long dress was caught under the chair next to me so that i would not tear my dress when i got up -- such a mark of great customer service. Our waitress was very attentive. Loved the valet parking. Will return.

We ate here for dinner, they have a different menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I can't wait to try their breakfast! We got... Deviled eggs, duck wings, bone marrow, risotto tots, shrimp and grits, ribeye, caramel pumpkin bread pudding, and cheesecake. The only thing I don't recommend is the steak. It was cooked well, but it lacked flavor and for that price I would just get something else. Great service all the way around. Parking is valet, dress was business casual to casual. Great for a date night.
Valerie T — Google review
Beautiful spot with fantastic fresh flavors. Everything we tried was wonderfully tasty. From the sweet rolls to the waffles, it was all presented beautifully and tasted wonderful. We had the cinnamon rolls, waffles, avacado toast with eggs and the homemade cheesecake. They have a wonderful beer selection. I would love to go back and try more. It was delicious. I'm hoping they decide to reopen elsewhere at the end of the month. They are so much better than a lot of places.

What a lovely casual dining experience. Per the website, they’re closing soon, so I’m glad I got to try it out. Came for brunch & had the Donut Sandwich 🤯 absolutely delicious! The combination of sweet & savory was a pleasant delight. Also tried the Bacon Waffle—the caramelized apples are sweet perfection. The staff was pleasant and accommodating. Prices are very reasonable and the portion sizes are generous. Restaurant is a such a gem, hate to see it close.
Nicole P — Google review
My wife and I went to this place for date night and it did not disappoint. It's a bar, but not loud like most sports bars. It had a very calm atmosphere. The service was impeccable; however the star of the show was the food. We only ordered small plates, but they do have entrees. We started with the chicken skins, Belgium Mussels, and duck wings. The chicken skins were crispy, hot, and well seasoned. They came with a spicy sesame sauce that balanced the fattiness of the skins. The duck wings were our personal favorite. They were plump, juicy, and the sauce was addictive. They were not greasy nor gamey. With every bite the meat came clean off the bone. The mussels were amazing as well. You could drink the broth; it was that good; however, not to offend, I recommend just asking for extra bread. We also had the truffle fries, which were hot, crispy, and not over seasoned. We had the fried shrimp as well. They had good flavor. Again, they were crispy and not greasy. The seasoning was good as well. The brussel sprouts were our least favorite. They were overcooked and really didn't taste like anything. Please see the attached pictures. Overall, I would recommend this place for dates or just going out with friends. Give it a try.
Jimmy C — Google review
Had dinner here with 14 other people and had a great time. We shared a lot of plates and most of the food was fantastic. They have a great beer selection, with 40 on tap! The service was good. We liked the short rib, sirloin on crispy rice, Brussels sprouts and Dr pepper ribs. All delicious!
Steph C — Google review
First time visitor with my family, did my research, and it WAS EVERYTHING as advertised. Beautiful place with its on chic-retro vibe, clean, excellent customer service, and THE FOOD was TOP NOTCH-both in quality, taste and presentation, and was not overpriced like some places based on what you “actually get”. I got Dr. Pepper ribs and the Mr. got braised ribs. They were Amazing! It was hard to choose entrees because the entire menu is full of excellent choices; there’s something for EVERYONE-no matter your food preference or diet type. I will visit again…..and again!
Vickie H — Google review
TL;DR: A beer nerd’s dream with food way better than it needed to be, perfect vibes, and staff that felt like friends. RIP, legend. Not much to say… except this place absolutely slapped. Meddlesome Moth had one of the best draft beer selections in the city (basically a hoppy encyclopedia), food that went way beyond “bar food,” and a staff that made you feel like a regular even if it was your first visit. The interior? Sexy without trying. The patio? Cottagecore meets craft beer. Every visit felt like a warm hug with a cold pint. Gone too soon—but never forgotten. Cheers to the memories.

Ocean Prime is an upscale chain of modern American restaurants and lounges located in various cities across the country. Founded by renowned restaurateur Cameron Mitchell, Ocean Prime offers a sophisticated dining experience with its elegant decor and extensive wine list. The restaurant is known for its classic menu featuring fresh seafood, prime cuts of steak, crisp salads, and delectable desserts.
Perfect cozy rainy day inside quiet for lunch. All the food was great. Waiter was a charm. Name was “hot rod” claims he’s talker, but really wasn't. He made us feel comfortable. The true hero was the water waiter. Always watching for an empty plate or glass. One complaint is they don't give vinegar with the oysters and toss radish on top of the cocktail sauce. If you eat oysters, this is all a no no.

We absolutely loved our food and time here. Our group was impressed by how fresh all of the seafood was for being in TX! Only comments I will make that weren’t positive is one of the bartenders was rude and ignored us when we tried ordering. Also our server didn’t smile once over our couple hours there and never brought out the birthday cake or sang for our table’s birthday- but they did for another table. We still had a good time celebrating anyhow, just would have been nicer if staff was more kind and attentive. Great food!

Just, wow! What a wonderful dining experience. Came for an early lunch and ate on the covered patio. Had the entire space to ourselves and enjoyed every bit of it. I absolutely loved the floor to ceiling windows, loads of natural light, soft music—everything you’d want in ‘fine dining.’ Parker was our server and he was a delight. Very attentive, accommodating and made excellent recommendations. Went with the Pre Fixe option —Atlantic Salmon, Crab Fried Rice paired with a Caesar Salad. Also tried the Chilean Seabss, and the warm bread basket. Everything was deliciously splendid—the Chef truly curated a symphony of flavors. The Sweet & Sour Cilantro Vinaigrette on the salmon was remarkable. Had the Warm Butter cake for dessert and it was divine. Will certainly be back. Looking forward to the Ten Layer Carrot Cake and Black Truffle Mac n Cheese.

I recently visited Ocean Prime for brunch with my family, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Located in a vibrant area, the restaurant itself exudes elegance and charm, providing the perfect setting for a delightful meal. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring our visit was nothing short of perfect. Their genuine warmth and professionalism added a special touch to our dining experience. We indulged in a variety of dishes, including sushi, calamari, and cinnamon balls, all of which were absolutely delicious. The highlight for me was the French toast--it was simply the best I've ever had! The flavors were perfectly balanced, making every bite a delight. Ocean Prime has truly earned its 5 stars. The combination of superb food, excellent service, and a beautiful ambience makes it a must-visit destination for brunch. I can't wait to return!

Excellent experience! Took advantage of the North Texas Food Bank special menu. Ordered the 8 oz. Filet w/house salad, cup of lobster bisque, chili seared spinach, and a Gouda potato cake. Also upgraded to a 12 oz. New York strip (Oscar style) w/a chop chop salad, asparagus, Gouda potato cake, chili seared spinach, and we both had the spiced carrot cake. The waiter was the real deal! Love love love ocean prime Dallas!!!

This place is a must try and steak and seafood lovers. Great atmosphere, food and service were top notch. We tried oysters, 14 oz ribeye, twin lobster tails, creamed spinach and au gratin potatoes. I encourage anyone to try this place out! You will not be disappointed.

Went to celebrate my birthday and was seated in the lovely sunroom. My husband and I were served water but then we sat there for close to 20 minutes with no server. Finally my husband went to the hostess to inquire where our server was. Another waiter, Austin, came by to refill my water. He asked if I was waiting for the rest of my party. I said no my husband went to look for our waiter. He said I’m sorry about that and I will be happy to take care of you. He took over as our server and was great. I was disappointed no one else or Manager ever came by to check on us or to offer any service recovery such as a complimentary drink or dessert. It turns out that one waiter did not show up for work. It’s sad but at that level of establishment don’t seat people in a section without making sure team is in place. The table next to us had the same experience. Austin was great. Cheers to him!

The food was so very delicious, it is definitely a spot that I will go back to. Both me and my wife loved it there. The atmosphere was very elegant and worth going with your loved ones or even by yourself. Leo was our server and he was super knowledgeable and professional. An outstanding dining experience! The food, service, and ambiance were all exceptional. We opted for the lunch special, which offers a great selection of salads and fish dishes, allowing you to mix and match two items. Every bite was fresh and flavorful. To top it off, we were celebrating a friend’s birthday, and the restaurant surprised us with a delectable complimentary dessert. A perfect touch to a memorable meal!

You’re greeted warmly upon arrival but you can tell the place screams generational wealth. The patrons here are Dallas Proper folks. Meaning they may have been coming to the restaurant, ever since they opened back in the mid 80s. A lot of seniors and you can tell since they have salt and pepper shakers on their tables (usually a sign they cook their food with less seasoning). Our server was genuinely nice and attentive, but don’t be surprised if you’re one of the few younger or more diverse diners in the room. This is a restaurant for Highland Park regulars and if you’re looking for trendiness or bold flavors, this place isn’t it.

Loved our experience here for a Saturday date night. Started with some great champagne to start. Loved that our server was available when needed but also gave us space! Started with oysters (they were good but small). For dinner we had the lobster and truffle pasta, 12 oz filet mignon and a side of asparagus. The pasta was delicious and I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of lobster and freshly shaved truffle on top. The filet was also really good and cooked to a perfect medium rare however I could’ve done with the sauce on the side. Asparagus was good but slightly under seasoned. For dessert we got the sticky toffee pudding and it was so good! Overall a great experience and can’t wait to come back!

Omg what an absolutely FANTASTIC place!!!! Peter took care of us and he was so great. We started off with their oysters and prawn cocktail. I ended up with a strip, that was cooked to perfection at rare. My date got their scallops with caviar on top and mushroom risotto. Their lobster mac and cheese was delicious and even better the next day. Everything was just PERFECT. we finished our meal with their chocolate mousse that was just to die for! We came hungry, left stuffed and had to bring everything home haha. We will DEFINITELY be back!

The Old Monk is a cozy pub in Dallas known for its extensive beer list, American fare, and lively patio. Despite being more of a traditional pub than a cocktail bar, it stands out for serving top-notch Old Fashioneds and boasting the most comprehensive whiskey selection in town. The friendly atmosphere on the patio offers a perfect setting to enjoy the featured cocktail of the month alongside addictive frites with bourbon mayo.
Sit wherever you want. It’s nice out on the patio when the weather is good. The fish was crispy and tasty with the side tartar sauce, not fishy tasting. The fries were seasoned great and I think you could ask for the skinny fries if you prefer those. Free drink samples on beer if you are unsure which you would prefer!

This is a lovely brunch spot in a trendy neighborhood. Their mimosas are good and the fish and chips were delicious. They provided malt vinegar on the table. This is a great place to relax on a Sunday and people-watch; plus our server was very pleasant and attentive.

We used to come here all the time before we moved from the area. We came back today it was great as usual. I typically get the chicken strips because they might be my favorite in Dallas. Today I went with the chicken, biscuits, and gravy on the brunch menu. While I thought it was good, I regretted not getting the chicken strips. They are too good! The rest of the group got a salad and eggs Benedict and said it was great (pictured). A dog friendly patio is a plus and the staff immediately brought us a dog bowl. Highly recommend if you want a casual bite with good drinks!

We were so excited to visit the Old Monk. The food didn’t disappoint. Huge portions and full of flavor. Our server was good, but she had a lot of tables, so she was super busy. The only downside was the music. The music was so incredibly loud you had to yell to hear each other, and this was on the patio. It was punk rock music, which is great for jamming, but blaring full blast in a crowded restaurant. Overall disappointed in our visit.

Atmosphere: clean, laid back and casual. Fish and chips: Amazing! Service: excellent I love a good plate of fish and chips so I decided to try this place. They have an expansive outdoor seating area that is warm and inviting with wooden tables and plants. Most of the area is covered and they can enclose it by lowering the side curtains if the weather is bad. The fish and chips were excellent. Perfectly battered, crisp and juicy. The home made tartar sauce had capers in it and it was good as well. The service was excellent. I got my food approx. 10 min after ordering. The wait staff was attentive. There is also an attached parking lot with dedicated parking which is a big plus. Overall great experience. I will return.

Rex's Seafood Market is a casual seafood spot serving fresh catches from around the world at the Dallas Farmers Market. The eatery is brightly lit and casual and offers reasonable prices for decent food. The open, airy space is perfect for catching a bite before shopping at the market or after exploring nearby attractions.
This is a hidden gem. It had close to 20 types of oysters from all around the country. They are flown in every two days to Lufkin airport. They are so fresh. I had to taste them all. I would not dress them up with condiments. If you don't like oysters, cool. The TUNA NACHOS are a masterpiece of creativity. My wife had the fish chips. The white cod was incredibly tender. The servers knew about the food origins and so much patience. 11/10

Will return. The French Open is on their four tv monitor (the last match of the day - well past 10 pm in Paris: Džumhur v Alcaraz), so we stopped for a drink. Counter service by a few energetic young people, professional and proficient. They grind their own horseradish, which is great - it tastes so so good. Three kinds of oyster we tried: Great White of MA: light Birch Point of ME: flavorful - our favored Irish Point of PEI: they’re good (Prince Edward Island) We’d have more but can’t - have an Italian dinner at 6, and we’ve to go. Does the increasing efficient shipping service makes it possible for anyone to realize their dream business - Dallas, and Texas in that matter is a landlocked region. But what do I know. … Alcaraz won in four, on his second match point, near 5pm Dallas time. I’d think Friday evening is a hopping time in the city but it feels dead, the mall is pretty empty. Where’s everyone? Or it’s too early for everybody -:) - my first full day in Dallas. Wishing everyone with a desire to succeed in a biz the best of luck.

Came here for lunch while visiting the farmer's market. I was really surprised how good the fish and chips was. But the fish was really tender and tasty. Oyster were tasty and they give you a mix from different locations. I also liked the redfish and sweet potato fries. Not a lot of seating as the place was very busy but the servers do come bring the food to your table even if you are eating outside. Seating area is shared with other restaurants and and is in the walk through area between other stores.

So surprised how bad this location of Rex is. We had dinner at the uptown location once (during the pandemic) and we loved their food. This location is on a totally different level (underground level). We got the salmon burger. The patty tasted like blended and fried mussels..... I could only take one bite and had to throw it away. The fries I got with it were just okay. The ceviche was at least edible but Mediocre.
S K — Google review
Rex’s Seafood and Market was a little disappointing. I may need to stick to the other location on NW Hwy. I had a better experience there. The stand is located near an entry/exit door. Therefore, it gets a little warm sitting there to eat at the picnic style tables. This review covers two separate visits. The first visit, I went during happy hour. I had the Ceviche and a Frose. Keep in mind that I eat Ceviche often. I feel like I have a good grasp of what good ceviche looks and tastes like. Their version did not measure up. I’m used to it arriving tableside looking picturesque. That was not the case. I didn’t taste much lime. The Siracha sauce was over powering the other flavors. The shrimp were small also. The frose was hard to drink. I usually like it but it was kind of bitter. My second visit I had the Lobster Roll. Again, I’ve tried a few, and this one was decent. It seemed to have a piece of claw meat on top and the rest was shredded. I wanted Connecticut style but they didn’t ask me. The lobster was tender and the bread was soft. Not bad , but not great. The fries were super salty. Overall, I rate the sandwich a 3 but the restaurant a 2. If you want a quick Lobster Roll while at the Farmers Market, check out Rex’s Seafood & Market.

I ordered the sushi grade Ahi Tuna with spinach and mixed vegetables. I gotta say, for 20$ this was well worth it!! The tuna was seared perfectly and the vegetables were seasoned really good too! I liked the spinach a lot, I personally think I might have had a bit too much lemon, but it was also topped with Parmesan, and made garlic too!

First time here, lived everything about it. Service, drinks, food, and dessert were great. The smoked salmon was great. The patio was really nice as well. What a delicious experience! Let’s start with cons, which aren’t that many. Hated the parking situation. That’s typical of Lovers Lane restaurants though. And the restaurant is overly crowded. I don’t know if it’s the spacing of the tables but there are too many customers in a confined space. Now, onto the fun pros. The FOOD! And service! Everything we got was amazing: gumbo, salad, blackened fish, red beans and rice (sans rice). And the cute popcorn basket (instead of bread) was such a great southern touch. Our waitress was also so attentive and lovely. I wouldn’t mind coming back here next time I visit.

This is a nice date night spot. The food is delicious and drinks are pretty good as well. We've been twice and was not disappointed in either visit. Look to spend $100 for two people. We've had the blackened Texas redfish and that was the least favorite dish. While it's good, it wasn't our favorite and I doubt I ever order it again. The four woods hot smoked salmon was amazing.the lobster roll is also a great dish to try here. The new England clam chowder was also a pleasant dish

Husband and I were here for Valentine's dinner. First time to visit and everything, I mean, everything, was spectacular!! W.O.W doesn't even come close! We could not believe it. We had old fashioned drinks, oysters, shrimp scampi, Texas blackened red fish, herb crusted rainbow trout, key lime pie & big chocolate cake. The desserts were so good we couldn't decide which was best! Raven, the waiter, was awesome too. We WILL be back no doubt!

Tried Lovers Seafood for the very first time and I wasn’t disappointed. The waitress and staff were super friendly. The food was excellent! I give the food a 8.7 out of 10 the service a 10. If you’re ever in the Dallas area come check this place out!

What a treat 😋 We are in town for a conference and are looking for some seafood places to go. This place is outstanding, the food was delicious, and our server Molly was awesome. We sampled a few things, and everything we had was amazingly delicious... especially the oysters.

My dining experience was pleasant. The food was pretty good, with a diverse menu that likely has something for everyone. I particularly enjoyed the Goddess Salad, topped with salmon. It was fresh and the salmon was well-prepared. The service was attentive, and the live music added to the ambiance creating an overall enjoyable dining experience. I would recommend giving this restaurant a try!

Lovers Seafood & Market in Dallas delivers an outstanding dining experience from start to finish. The moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere—bright, airy, and upscale without feeling pretentious. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations. The food was nothing short of amazing. I started with the crab cake, which was perfectly seared and loaded with fresh, flavorful crab meat. For my main course, I had the grilled red snapper, cooked to perfection with just the right amount of seasoning to let the natural flavors shine. The sides were just as impressive—fresh, vibrant vegetables and creamy mashed potatoes that were perfectly seasoned. The market side of the restaurant is also a gem, offering an incredible selection of fresh seafood to take home. You can tell they prioritize quality, and everything looked pristine and well cared for. From the ambiance to the service to the exceptional food, Lovers Seafood & Market truly stands out as one of the best seafood spots in Dallas. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just want a fantastic meal, this is the place to go. I can’t wait to come back and try more from their menu.

Seafood restaurant
Dive Coastal Cuisine is a bright and contemporary seafood spot in Dallas, offering health-conscious fare that's far from your typical dive. The fast-casual restaurant prides itself on using organic produce, seasonal seafood, and non-GMO, grass-fed, hormone-free ingredients whenever possible. Their menu features a variety of dishes infused with flavors of the ocean, including salads, sandwiches, and tacos made with choices like crispy cod and grilled mahi.
I ordered the grilled chicken wrap, which comes with the plantain chips, and had an unsweetened iced tea. The wrap was out of this world good, and definitely something I would want to eat again. The plantain chips, while slightly less healthy, were also a lot of fun, especially with salt. The tea was okay; it was a bit weak and could be stronger, but fine. Overall though, I would recommend this place for lunch, and try to come a bit early, because it can get busy there.

I recently visited Dive Coastal with a friend, looking for a place with fresh options and good variety — and we definitely found it. I ordered the kids’ meal with salmon and veggies along with a side of mini dish and chips, and everything was light, flavorful, and satisfying. We happened to stumble in during happy hour, which was a great bonus! We also tried the ahi tuna and the stuffed avocado, both of which were incredibly fresh and well-prepared. Overall, the atmosphere was relaxed, the ingredients were high-quality, and the menu had a lot of choices depending on what you’re craving. A perfect spot if you’re looking for something casual but still want food that feels clean and thoughtfully made. Definitely a place I’d come back to!

The grilled grouper and artichokes with several dipping sauces were delicious. The seafood tartare came with crunchy plantain chips. The asparagus side was steamed to perfection, still crisp and green. The black beans were tasty. We were lucky with parking arriving at 2:00 on Saturday. The clean interior was cool and seating was comfortable. The one TV had no sound so we enjoyed conversation.

Really great menu with real healthy ingredients. Francesca has done such a great job! The staff are friendly and knowledgeable as well. Love the artwork and Miami vibes. Will definitely visit more often for lunch. ❤️😊

Interesting menu. Loved the sharables options. Loved the tea choices, sweetener options and the citrus & mint additions. Taco trio choices great. Cod was my favorite. Worked out great for meatless Friday in lent.

Update 04/24/25: The steak wrap and shrimp salad were both cooked perfectly and tasted great. The ingredients were fresh and healthy. The service was excellent as usual. It was peak lunch hour so we sat at the bar. Previous Review: Dive delivers fresh and healthy salads, bowls, and wraps. I get Cali vibes when eating there. For an order at the counter restaurant, the service is great. The iced tea options are great. The price feels a tad expensive.

Great little spot when you’re in the mood for seafood. I had the blackened trout, squash succotash and Brussels sprouts and I couldn’t finish the whole thing in one sitting. Good portions that really hit the spot. I’m looking forward to going back soon.

This place is so so yummy! I would pay attention when you’re ordering because I ordered one crab sandwich, a drink and two sides and it was $44 😆not including tip. It’s not a grab and go <$25 lunch kind of menu and to me, it was scrumptious so fresh and worth it! I see the reviews with people complaining about the price but that’s on the orderer not the venue. I love seeing local thrive! In any case, if you’re going to go for the crab sandwich like I did that’s what you can expect to pay. I loved it! Next time I would order the tuna wrap, and the crabcakes and get to expand my taste buds. A little bit more. The mushroom side also looked amazing! Here are the pictures I took. Thank you!

Nestled on McKinney Avenue in Dallas, 20 Feet Seafood Joint is a delightful eatery that brings the essence of coastal cuisine to life. This modern shack offers a casual dining experience where you can indulge in mouthwatering dishes like buttery lobster rolls and crispy fried clams without the fuss of formal attire or hefty bills. The vision of partners Marc Cassel and Suzan Fries focuses on high-quality ingredients and meticulous preparation, ensuring every meal feels special yet relaxed.
Definitely enjoyed this place! Lobster bisque was a bit too bitter but honestly not bad, fries were a little too salty but I didn't mind, everything else no complaints. Excellent fried food, hand made buns, fries had garlic and herbs on them, super tasty! Cozy place, I think all three restaurants tend to be busy but we visited around noon on a Sunday and it wasn't bad, most people were outside. Despite my not being well dressed and groggy due to just waking up the cashier was still super friendly and professional too!

We ordered the green room mussels and it was good and flavorful! The bread that came along with it was warm and toasty and great when dipped. We also got the fish and chip platter, wasn’t too impressed. Staff was super nice.

The seafood gumbo was tasty but I added some hot sauce. Pork belly bun-mi on point. Shrimp & grits wildly good. Blackened chicken sandwich & falafel were great too. Can't wait to come back. Oh and if you need something to chill your wine in.. They got you there too.

Absolutely, hands down, the best seafood in Dallas!! The fried Ipswich whole belly clams are so fresh, you can taste the seawater. The bread used for the Poboys is made in house and is the real deal! The sides are tremendous and can easily be shared. Definitely my go to for seafood!!

Haven’t been disappointed yet. Lobster role is a favorite for most, salmon and swordfish, when on the specials list, are excellent. You may feel weird ordering the steak sandwich and fries at this seafood place, but it may be the best in town. BYOB, which takes some planning.

Been craving some lobster rolls and heard that 20 Feet Seafood Joint is the best here in Dallas. Oh boy... it lives up to the hype. Price is reasonable for the portion and the taste... Fantastic!!! It’s finger licking good!!! And the fries, it’s definitely a hit! Service was great and quick. The owner was very friendly as well as the staff. Definitely will be back for more lobster rolls.

The lobster roll was amazing! Cod po-boy is excellent. French fries were nicely seasoned. The shrimp cocktail wasn't too sweet like some restaurants tend to make them. It was very well balanced and I liked how they diced the shrimp so you get a bite in every spoon full.

Great little bar on lower Greenville Avenue. We went for beer after attending a party at another restaurant. Saturday night around 9 pm was not too crowded. They checked everyone’s ID and did not allow anyone inside without one. No bar food served and no nuts or pretzels on the tables. We like this bar and have stopped in for years to grab a beer. No frills pub. Small patio available, we sat inside.

Great place to get a nice draft beer and watch some soccer or just catch up with friends. Local gem, quiet and not much noise like the other bars around.

I came across Dubliner Irish Pub by accident, pub crawling down Greenville. The bar is nice enough, and lacking  vast amounts of dark brown and black paint for it to be called other than semi-grungy. Upscale dive-ish, maybe. I was served by two bartenders. The first was Sarah, who was prompt and professional but no warmth, friendliness. It wouldn't have bothered me so much but she was so cheerful and friendly with so many others who came up to the bar. The dark side of “Cheers.”  I guess. The other bartender was Courtney, who was fairly spectacular with her fake Halloween blood and low cut blouse. Also very professional and prompt, and oh by the way friendly. Although the bar had a nice vibe I don't know if I'll be back.

This place is a scam! I bought two small bottles of beer for an already outrageous $18 (thanks to St. Patrick’s Day price gouging) and paid with my credit card via Apple Pay. However, later I noticed that they illegally charged me $22 instead! I did not leave any tips, and my Apple Wallet transaction clearly shows $18, yet the final charge on my bank statement was higher. This is completely unacceptable and dishonest. They are changing transaction amounts after the payment is processed without consent. I will be disputing this charge with my bank and warning others to stay away from this place unless you want to be overcharged for overpriced drinks!

The claim of authentic English pub food is nothing more then a pure lie. Having spent 18+ years in England growing up, my visit to the pub was left wanting. The food was horrible, it wasn't even English food. Their claims of fish and chips were a joke. Their so-called chips were nothing more then some crappy seasoned french fries and their fish wasn't even made correctly. The pub looked real enough, the servers were okay for americans, but their food is no where close to what they claim it to be. If your looking for real English food, don't bother going to this pub. If you want American food under the lie that its english, visit to your hearts content. The price you pay for the food isn't even worth the americanized version of it.

Jimmy's Food Store is a well-established Italian specialty shop that offers a variety of high-quality products such as prepared foods, sausages, baked goods, imported cheeses, and pasta. The store is known for its authentic Italian subs made with top-notch ingredients like olive oil, fresh herbs, marinated peppers, Genoa salami, and spicy sausage. Additionally, they offer fresh caprese and muffuletta salads that stand out from typical sandwich shops.
My absolute favorite place to go! The deli has the best meat, cheeses, salads and more. The sandwiches are the absolute best!!! I'm an Italian from Jersey and this is just like being home! I've even purchased Pork Roll here! 💯 Recommended!
Jersey D — Google review
Well...I have been meaning to visit this establishment for many years, and I am so glad that I did. First of all, to get there I had to drive through parts of Dallas that I have never been to in the past 23 years that I have lived here. Seems like gentrification is STRONG in this part of town. In spite of all that, Jimmy's vibe feels like it has been there through every recent and not so recent neighborhood developments. We picked, I think, a lucky time to visit - Thursday afternoon at about 1pm. Parking was easy (street), and there were not too many people in the store. When you walk in, you instantly feel like you belong. There is nothing pretentious about the environment. It feels cozy and inviting. The space is packed with fresh produce, frozen premades, refrigerated house sauces and such. Of course, the main attraction is the deli. Lots of different cuts of meats and sausages, etc...Next time I go back I will need to spend more time exploring the different deli offerings, but I was feeling a little overwhelmed, so the counter person directed my attention to a more simplified menu. My barometer sandwich is always an Italian. I gave my order and then killed 15 minutes browsing the groceries before my name was called. Sandwiches had a decent heft...we took them outside and stood at a small table and ate. The bread was fresh, the deli cuts were tasty and didn't overpower each other. I added lettuce, pickles, mustard, chili tomatoes, and vinaigrette. All of the flavors came together, especially in the middle of the sandwich. Really reminded me of the Grinders I used to get from real delis back in the day before Subway and it's ilk. If you are planning on visiting, then I will say don't hesitate! Fair warning, there does not seem to be any sort dedicated dining area. I will definitely be going back. Next sandwich will most likely be a meatball or sausage or combo of each. Btw, banana split cream soda hit just right.
Todd P — Google review
I came into this shop early for the best selection of meat from the butcher, but I ended up finding out people line up for their sandwiches which were delicious. Staff were friendly and the overall service had a southern hospitality feel. Their prices were fair especially since the sandwiches were so good. I sampled their sausage offerings and from a traditional butcher they have good quality. Overall this is a great place to visit for good quality meat or a delicious sandwich.

I had a great experience getting food from Jimmy’s. I got the calabrese panino which was fantastic and much bigger than expected. It was flavored well and the bread was nicely toasted making it exactly what I hoped for. Despite multiple people being there, the sandwich was prepared quickly and I enjoyed walking around the store while waiting. I also got a cannoli which was delicious. It wasn’t too sweet or rich making it a very enjoyable dessert. Overall, I had a fantastic experience here and would definitely return for another sandwich. I’m also eager to try their selection of meats, cheeses, and wines.
Alan R — Google review
Ordered the Italian beef sandwich and the Muffuletta. The sandwiches were good. The beef sandwich was on the salty side. This was my first time having a Muffuletta. I liked the sandwich. It's a big sandwich even for a 6 inch. If you better like olives, that's about all I could really taste. It's a small store with the sandwiches in the back with the deli meats and cheeses. It can get very busy and cramped. When it's busy, the parking is bad. The staff still made the sandwiches very quickly. I would suggest ordering ahead. There are no tables.
Santiago — Google review

Chamberlain's Steak & Fish is a high-end restaurant known for its classic wood-paneled steakhouse ambiance and a menu that attracts diners from all over the country. Chef Richard Chamberlain has been serving up Prime Texas steaks for over 30 years, offering dishes like spice-seared ahi tuna, Lobster Thermidor, American bison strip steak, and 40-day aged prime bone-in ribeye. The restaurant also features a cigar lounge for guests to enjoy.
My favorite restaurant I’ve been to in probably the last two years. I cannot overstate how much I loved the ambiance here. Dark wood “traditional and fancy,” yet completely unstuffy. We all felt utterly relaxed. This was underscored by the outstanding service. Warm, friendly, helpful. And special kudos to Kyle for being the most personable and genuine server I’ve had in quite some time. Fantastic food overall. Bolognese, spiced salmon, pesto grilled shrimp, amazing deviled eggs!!, seared ahi, great breads and butter, flourless chocolate cake, cheesecake. Only complaints: capellini was clumpy which is always a risk with capellini. Brussels were chopped too finely and overcharred. Minor issues in light of the otherwise wonderful meal. Will definitely return and soon.
Melissa O — Google review
Came in for restaurant week on a weekday. Food was good, service was mediocre Bread and butter on the table is a nice start. Nothing crazy. The beef and bison dumplings were pretty awesome, though they might be better served as meatballs. Ensalada del Mercado was good but nothing special. Don’t forget to get the dressing on the side next time. Prime rib was the star of the show. Excellent cut of meat, and the horseradish sauce was incredible. Comes with mashed potatoes that are sweating butter. Would absolutely order again. the ginger, garlic, and soy glazed pork chops were pretty good. 2 chops with a good crust about 1” thick. Not on the regular menu which is a shame. The wife didn’t care for the sweet potato grits but I thought they were novel. Might order again if I wanted chops, but it was overshadowed by the prime rib. Lavender crème brûlée was good. The blueberry compote didn’t really jive, but it didn’t slow me down either. Peach and cinnamon bread pudding was ok. Not sorry we went for restaurant week, not sure I would go back at full price.

Uchi Dallas is a sleek and modern Japanese restaurant located in Uptown. Since its opening in 2015, it has gained a reputation for its impressive menu and polished service. The sushi menu features a variety of fish flown in from Japan's Toyosu Market, offering classic favorites like salmon and tuna as well as unique options such as bluenose trevally and sea robin.
Had such a great time at the restaurant! The food was absolutely divine—every dish had so much flavor, and you can really tell that Chef David puts a lot of heart into what he does. Big compliments to the kitchen! The service was also top notch. LA and Patrick were both amazing—friendly and helpful. Uchi Dallas is one of those places that somehow lives up to the hype—every single time. The food is always incredible, with flavors that are unexpected in the best way. It’s the kind of spot that works just as well for a business dinner as it does for a night out with friends. The food is next level, the drinks are spot-on, and the whole vibe is modern but still welcoming. You can also eat upstairs at their other concept, and honestly, both are amazing. Highly recommend if you’re into food that surprises you—in a really good way. EVERYTHING is REALLY good.

I usually don't write reviews for restaurants, and I never expected to find such a great sushi place in Dallas! This place has very high quality sushi. It was one of the best sushi I've ever tasted including all the sushi place I've ever been to in NYC, Japan, and Korea included. My server, Dani, was super knowledgeable and was genuinely a nice person. The dessert was also very interesting as well. I would definitely visit again if I'm in Dallas!

After having tried both Uchiko and Uchibā (Uchi sister restaurants) in Austin, we had to try Uchi in Dallas. It did not disappoint. We had the “somakase” which is a cool little option they have if you want to try multiple things but are worried that the chef’s tasting may be too little or too much food but also don’t really want to make decisions. Essentially the way it works is that your server will choose dishes for you based on your hunger level, budget, and preferences. You can do as many or as few as you’d like and if there is something you really like you can just ask for more of it. The service at the Uchi restaurants is always top notch and we love how everyone works together as one cohesive unit marking the service appear seamless from the delivery of the dishes to the clearing of plates and ensuring your beverages are always full. The food is timed perfectly so that the wait between courses is neither too long or too short. Empty plates are taken immediately after you have finished so that they are not sitting on the table for long periods of time. Service is smooth, efficient, and friendly and never seems cold or rushed. The food makes this one of our favorite restaurants to dine in as we always thoroughly enjoy our meals here. The food is based in Japanese cuisine with interesting twists and flavor combinations. Overall an excellent experience. One of the best fine dining places in Dallas. Cocktail list is small but very good. Highly recommend the Lychee Martini. They have a separate vegetarian menu. Uchi salad was very flavorful. Also recommend the crispy tofu maki, spicy crunchy and shag. Mango tapioca was great as well.

I love Uchi and go a couple times a year since it’s close to home and always a reliable choice. The construction around it has been going on forever, so the area’s kind of a mess, but the food makes up for it. They keep a pretty high standard and most of what I’ve had is great. We did the omakase once and it was definitely creative, but a little too out there for me. One of the dishes was literally called “pond water,” which was a bit much. I’d rather do omakase at Shoyo or Tatsu. That said, Uchi’s great for fun bites like the Hama Chili, and their cocktails are always really good. Overall, it’s a fun spot for sushi!

They have heaters in case it is cold and a great selection of drinks/menu items. There is also live music. If you are looking for a different kind of bar & grill, this is your place.

We had our daughter's Sweet 16th birthday celebration at the Truck Yard Dallas! We rented the Karaoke Airstream and it was THE BEST! It was a memorable night of great food, music and fun! The service was outstanding and I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone who wants a unique experience that is sure exceed your expectations! The food trucks and live music made for such a fun evening. Everyone at her party loved it!

I've pass by this place during my G'ville walks. But the ESPN Dallas Mavs vs Spurs game free Frito pie and Brisket nachos made me stop in. I bought a beer to support. It looks like a great place to enjoy sports and food. I'm going back. Thanks y'all!!!
Terrance B — Google review
Had the nachos, they had good flavors and a plentiful amount. The shots came in a bottle which I thought was a bit odd. Also, the is a significant difference in drink quantity, $9 gets you a small drink, and $20 gets you a souvenir boot and a whole lot more drink volume. Not a fan of the online ordering and table delivery. The band played excellent music. Not sure I got bang for the buck but overall, it was a good experience.

Truck Yard is a 10/10 spot. They have a great happy hour and impeccable vibes. There’s a ton of seating which is great, and the live music is awesome. My favorite time to come here is during happy hour. It’s often not crowded and there is live music and plenty of food trucks.

Great location for some very good food. Great place to drink, eat and hangout. Listen to live music and have a great time
GrounDDwellers B — Google review
Great atmosphere and amazing drinks! The overall experience was really enjoyable, especially with our group of 10 — everyone had a great time. Just a heads-up: if you sit outside around 4 PM, the flies can be a bit bothersome when food is out. The nachos were just okay, which is the main reason for my 3-star rating there. Otherwise, this spot is definitely worth checking out for the vibes and drinks! Oh yeah! Great happy hour drinks and prices

Café 43, situated within the George W. Bush Presidential Library on the SMU campus, offers a contemporary dining experience with a focus on modern American cuisine. The café boasts a stylish design and overlooks the scenic Native Texas Park, making it an ideal spot for lunch and brunch. Emphasizing organic and seasonal ingredients, Café 43 follows a 'local first, Texas second' philosophy.
It’s like a Cafe opened up a Presidential Center!! For any Seinfeld fans out there, borrowing that from s2 e8 “The Heart Attack” cf “It’s like Sizzler opened up a hospital!!” Probably not a bad thing on this menu, I would eat here regularly if I lived local.

Great vibe, the servants are very nice and food is good! For visitors who come for the presidential center, this is a good place to eat a brunch before the visit.

The seasonal menu offered at the President George W. Bush library is wonderful! My friend ordered the Butternut squash soup as a starter, and the Avocado toast with eggs and greens with fresh fruit. Both dishes were visually appealing and flavorful. I preferred the corn soup which was spicy and delicious and the corned beef sandwich, which was very similar to a Reuben. The only difference is that it is served with Russian dressing vs. Thousand Island dressing. ( I prefer Thousand Island as Russian gives the Sandwich an extra level of sweetness.) The sandwich is served with marbled rye which again makes it special. The accompanying French fries were fresh and hot. I do wish that the cheese had been melted to better integrate the sandwich’s flavor. Manny, our server, offer quick, attentive service. I plan to visit again in Spring to see what new offerings they have!

Highly Recommend for guests that wish to visit the George W. Bush Presidental Museum and Library. Casual dining atmosphere with Chef quality dining experience. Exemplary waitstaff. Barbecue restaurant
Terry Black's Barbecue is a celebrated gem in the heart of Texas, renowned for its expertly pit-smoked meats and homemade sides crafted by fourth-generation pitmasters. This Austin original has expanded to Dallas, bringing with it a legacy of quality barbecue that emphasizes traditional techniques using massive 1,000-gallon smokers. The menu features mouthwatering options like brisket, beef ribs, pork ribs, turkey, and sausage—available both by the pound and in delicious sandwiches.
I thought I’d had good barbecue throughout the years, but I was so wrong. Terry Black’s Barbecue blew me away. The beef rib was unlike any bbq meat I’ve had, it was so juicy, flavorful, and tender. One rib (ours was 1.3lbs) was plenty for two of us to share. Then the pork ribs rub was insanely good. And then the brisket with the sweet sauce, still thinking about it. And finally the turkey with the sweet sauce, amazing. The two sides we tried were also super good and my other half who is usually very picky about mac n cheese loved it. For dessert we shared banana pudding and the peach cobbler. Banana pudding was the star for dessert but still enjoyed the peach cobbler. Everything we got including tip was $135. As others have mentioned, it is pricey for barbecue but completely worth it. Overall, it’s a good (well bad) thing there isn’t a location by us or we’d be there all the time.
April H — Google review
We ordered the Brisket, Pork Ribs, Turkey, Jalapeño Cheese House Made Sausage, Mac + Cheese, and Cream Corn. The pork ribs were the best I've had; meat falls right off the bone, seasoned perfectly, and requires zero sauce. The turkey is moist and delicious and the brisket is beautifully smoked. Both great options. The sausage is decent, but the weakest entry of the meats we had. The cream corn was addicting and I couldn't get enough. The mac was solid, and I'm not typical a mac fan. Every employee we interacted with were friendly and helpful. When we arrived, one of the pit crew invited to give us a tour of the shop and walked us through the process. It was an awesome highlight of our visit. The layout of the whole restaurant is very open and relaxed, and I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. I understand Texas BBQ has its own ranking, but Terry Black's is a worthy competitor and an excellent dining establishment. I'd absolutely eat here again.

Definitely Great BBQ. Staff were friendly and service was top notch. They always seem crowded but it’s completely understandable as they have amazing bbq. Their prices are on point especially considering how great everything tastes. Their Mac n cheese is always great. The brats are always cooked perfectly and packed full of flavor. Ribs are fall off the bone. Overall it’s amazing bbq so if you love bbq you have to try them at least once.

Terry Black’s is one of the most popular places in Dallas and Austin for BBQ. We booked the pit master experience at Terry Black’s in Dallas which includes a tour of the smoking pits with a brief history of the business, drinks, and of course a sample of each item they have to offer including a variety of meats, sides, and desserts. The experience was pretty cool though I’m not sure it’s worth the $300 I paid ($150/person). The food was good but if I’m being honest I think I preferred Franklin’s in Austin more. The brisket here was dry and cold when we got it and a lot of the food was way over seasoned. Service was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the BBQ. The only reason I booked the experience was because I wanted to ensure that we would be able to try it while we were in town and they don’t take reservations. I remember my visit to Franklin’s in Austin there was an extremely long line and they did have a propensity to run out of things. With Terry Black’s I had assumed it would be the same and so the experience was a way to ensure we’d get a table and be able to try all the different food selections. In truth it was unnecessary. While they were busy, they did a great job of moving the line along. On top of that, after having taken the tour and speaking with the GM, who was our guide, they like to make sure they always have enough so as never to run out before closing time. All that to say that reservations are definitely not needed here and you’d be safe to just show up and wait in line. The prep and customer service is definitely where Terry Black’s shines some of the other well known BBQ establishments we’ve tried. Overall a great experience but I probably wouldn’t book the tour for the price. Just go in and enjoy the BBQ. You don’t need a special tour to see the pits as they are right off the patio seating. Atmosphere: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Food: 4/5 Overall Value: 4/5 Total: 4.25/5 Price: $$$ (only because we booked the tour) $: $0 - $50 per person $$: $50 - $100 per person $$$: $100 - $200 per person $$$$: $200 - $500 per person $$$$$: $500+ per person

Visited on 11/04/2025 around 11:30. We made it right before the lunch rush. I’m writing this review right after as it was just too good to wait. We got a half rack of pork ribs, half pound of brisket, and one classic sausage. It almost instantly felt like we didn’t have enough meat on our plate. The instant tenderness and savory-ness of the food blew my girlfriend and myself away. The three sauces offered were a sweet, spicy, and original, and the spicy by far was the best. It had a nice, tangy flavor with heat. The Mexican rice and green beans were standout sides, and the cornbread was a nice sweet treat along with the banana pudding and peach cobbler. The only thing that missed was the mac and cheese, but that’s up to personal preference and me liking baked mac more. Overall, highly recommend. Great for a first time Dallas visitor like myself.

🔥 Terry Black’s BBQ - Dallas 🔥 This place is a true BBQ experience! From the moment you walk in, the vibe and the music set the tone. You’re greeted by a line of sizzling grills that make you feel like you’ve arrived at the heart of Texas barbecue. ✅ The food: Beef ribs 🥩 → Outstanding! Tender, flavorful, and honestly one of the best I’ve had (only rivaled by The Pit Room in Houston). Brisket 🍖 → Melt-in-your-mouth good. My photo didn’t do justice to the flavor. Turkey 🦃 → A bit salty for my taste, but still well-cooked. Sides → Impressive variety. They even serve Mexican rice 🇲🇽 (a fun touch, though as a Mexican myself, I skipped it). 🍴 Pro tip: If you miss the old-school BBQ tradition of things selling out, you’ll notice Terry Black’s keeps favorites like beef ribs available most of the day — which I really appreciate. 🌇 The space: I went for lunch, but the terrace looks like the perfect spot for a laid-back dinner. Definitely worth a second visit at night. 🎯 Final thought: It’s a must-try in Dallas. Even locals keep coming back, which says a lot. If you’re short on time and want to guarantee a top-notch BBQ experience without gambling on something new — this is the spot.
Arturo A — Google review
Is the price ridiculously expensive? Yes. But for the best barbecue I’ve ever had, I’ll happily pay it again. I didn’t know it was possible to make Brisket taste like this & to be so tender. It’s like cheating, it doesn’t feel possible. I haven’t stopped thinking about this food in the week since I got home from Dallas! Food was perfect. The service was surprisingly helpful and kind. Loved sitting on the roof with a great view of some Dallas skyscrapers. Even our son loved it- he would cry when we tried to take the rib bone from him!
Ryan F — Google review
I was served very dry brisket, so I was disappointed by that as it looked so juicy and delicious online. Bummed about that considering the price. But The ribs and cornbread were great. Overall pretty good. People who sat down next to me later on had much better looking brisket. So perhaps I got an older one or a one off dry one. Staff were very nice.

Wow what a vibe. Located inside of a Hundu Church? The people were very welcoming, art and food was a nice treat. This place is for you if you are vegetarian! There Tamarind drink is tasty. They have a revolving menu. Parking is hard to find so try to come during lunch time!

Such a quaint place for some great vegetarian food! I’ve been here a few times but never eaten in. They have a cute courtyard out back that is so soothing to sit and eat. The food is great too! Kalachandji’s food is absolutely delicious! The buffet is full of flavorful, wholesome dishes that feel both satisfying and nourishing. I was pleasantly surprised to discover it’s right next to a temple - if I had known earlier, I would’ve come a bit early to visit and pray before eating. This place has such a peaceful, welcoming vibe. I’ll definitely be coming here regularly! Must try tamarind water!

The atmosphere was welcoming. I was timid about entering since I didn’t know the restaurant is inside the Hindu temple, and I had never been in one. Each dish was amazing and the flavors exploded in my mouth. The food is real natural, fresh, authentic vegetarian Indian food. The tamarind tea/lemonade was my favorite. It is the color of sweet tea, but taste like a rich bold lemonade. The dining area was also beautiful a mixture of indoor and outdoor with strong appreciation for nature Definitely coming to Kalachandji’s again.

Shishito pepper were had just enough kick to them, not too spicy and not lacking in spice. Both sushi rolls were amazing. One of the left was called Yuzu Breeze and was the roll of the month. Amazing bold flavor. The one the right is called the Spirit of Texas and is a regular item on the menu. It truly does pack the Texas Spirit with a spicy jalapeño coursing through the roll. I absolutely loved this roll and could eat it weekly!

TL;DR fresh, tasty, good price. Deep Sushi was very nice. It was our first time going in and they took great care of us. Typically sushi for two means spending over $100 but we left full and satisfied including an amazing dessert for around $80. We did not have any alcohol though and that would likely have pushed us over the $100 mark. Everything tasted fresh and delicious and had unique but vibrant flavors. I will be returning in the near future. Great spot for a date or family dinner. Oh and they have a weekend happy hour which is hard to find these days.

Experience was great, we did a boat, was about 65 was enough for 2 of us,....came for a second time..I didn't enjoy it. The roll I had had crawfish but it was over cooked n kinds dry. N also when my partner takes me out I never look at the bill or concern myself with it as he doesn't want me to and I don't mind..and then the waitress comes and tells the whole table how much the bill is, he didn't like that at all. Knowing we spent over 100 and I wasn't impressed at all with anything I had is disappointing. Please let your waitstaff know when people are on dates it's rude to announce the amount of the bill just hand the man or person paying the check.

I had the 5 piece albacore sashimi (forgot to take a photo), and it was fine. Had a crab wonton, definitely not my liking but my friends like it, and they liked their sushi rolls. They liked the Hawaiian role the best and they had the Deep roll. Probably I would have enjoyed it more if there was Ahi sashimi

I love fried sushi and was looking for a sushi bar skilled at it. The food was amazing. I believe the fried rice is the best in Dallas. I tried all the food I could stomach and afford in one setting and wasn’t disappointed. I came at a great time. It’s a great place to chill after working all day. They have happy hour specials that include drinks and appetizers. The waiter was so kind and had a great personality. He gave me many recommendations and made sure I enjoyed my stay. You can pay on the tablet your server has. It looks like they even take mobile pay. Feedback: Only advice is the waiter’s zone partners could definitely speak to guests that aren’t their own. They look at you for sure but that could be followed by a greeting or a smile. They talk to themselves and their guests, but if you are going to refill a water, or stare at your partner’s guests, speak too.

A seafood restaurant with a very affordable price. I really like the two fishes on the menu very much. The overall design of the restaurant is great. Many details are quite good as well. Although I didn‘t taste too much seafood this time, the taste was okay in general… The very un conveniently served is that it’s not easy to park in the street restaurants. You need to walk a short distance to a public parking lot which on the left side when you face the main entrance of the restaurant..

Our favorite seafood restaurant in DFW! Especially for fresh oysters if you’re into that. If you can get bar seats, the bartending crew is fantastic! My wife and I dined here, and we loved it. She loves all seafood, and I love shrimp. Truth be told, though, I came for the rum cake. It was scrumptious as were my shrimp. My wife loved her fish tacos and chopped salad. I also had a wedge salad. We also had delicious mixed drinks, an espresso martini for me and a gin and tonic for my wife.

Mediterranean restaurant
Restaurant
Sachet is a charming dining spot located on the edge of Highland Park off Oak Lawn, offering a flawlessly executed menu of Mediterranean-inspired cuisine. The restaurant's focus is on lighter, vegetable-focused dishes with a big emphasis on sharing.
Sachet has, by far, the best service of any restaurant in Dallas. The service staff were knowledgeable about every single dish, and on top of that, they were professional and friendly. It was me and my wife’s anniversary, and there was a card waiting for us at our table signed by everyone who works at the restaurant. They made it very special for us. The food was delicious, we had the brick chicken, chicken shawarma plate, and the fudge as dessert. Everything was on point and I can’t recommend this experience enough!

We took the opportunity during a Friday off to visit Sachet—finally. The ambiance very chill and welcoming. Each dish has intense color, personality and spiced just right. Our server Joanna was attentive and ensured any dietary restrictions were kept to. Overall, a delightful break from the usual hustle and bustle of the day—would highly recommend The sparkling water was an extra touch. Dishes ordered: stuffed peppers, beet salad, lentil soup (5 stars!), omelette, casarecce arabbiata

Just tell me why people wouldn’t give them 5 stars? We were there (me and husband) for our 14th anniversary celebration. The ambience was cozy, not crowded, very intimate… I loved how genuine was every person that came to the table just to congratulate us. Felt really special. Food was AMAZING. On point, portions were good, temperature, presentation. Gregory was our server, super good vibes! It was nice sharing some thoughts. Another guy came to check on us and give recommendations on our dessert wine, which was a nice touch. Definitely will be back with some friends.

Best food. Great atmosphere. Service was excellent as well. We love fun and innovative flavors, hit the spot for certain. Tina tartar was splendid, olives are fresh and tasty, wagyu was cooked perfectly. For dessert, have the yogurt...

Our patio seating on a 70-degree spring evening provided the perfect atmosphere to enjoy the Mediterranean inspired menu. The service was exceptional and friendly. The food was delicious. The chicken bites are tender and crispy with the right amount of seasoning. The portion is generous so I recommend taking some home and not getting too full early in the meal. The tagliatelle was light and flavorful. I added a little broccoli and parmesan from my side and I think it enhanced the dish. The shrimp and polenta also tasted great. We finished our meal with the Tunisian yo-yos. The lavender honey and chocolate made for a nice drizzle to complement the sugar. There are several other items on the menu we want to try so we’ll be back!

We had a wonderful meal and experience at Sachet. The ambience inside was really nice and was a good combination of modern yet warm our server was friendly and well informed us about the menu. We started off with drinks (the amalfi margarita and their take on an Aperol spritz) which were both extremely well made. We then got olives and keftedes (turkey meatballs) and for our entree, we split the casarecce all’arrabbiata pasta. All of the food dishes were excellent with the pasta being my favorite. If you're on the hunt for a laid-back seafood experience in Dallas, look no further than Big Shucks Seafood Restaurant & Oyster Bar. This charming eatery captures the essence of beach dining right in the heart of the city, offering an extensive menu that features everything from fried delights to flavorful fish tacos and hearty gumbo. With a relaxed atmosphere perfect for unwinding, it's no wonder locals flock here to enjoy fresh crabs, prawns, and fish dishes that cater to all palates.
10/10 recommend! They know how to boil crawfish! Nothing seems to be frozen, we sat at the bar and saw the kitchen preparing all of the boiled seafood- crabs, shrimp, crawfish and they are alive when cooked! I am from Louisiana and I don’t go to very many Cajun seafood places here in Dallas because there are a lot of imposters- this feels authentic, order at the counter, picnic tables everywhere outside, huge patio.. skip the line and sit at the bar and order directly from the staff!

The gumbo was my favorite of our meal (also got fried shrimp and chicken tenders for kid). Hush puppies were also great and I don't usually care for hush puppies. If you go on a Friday night, be ready to wait, but food comes out quick once ordered.

Had been craving a seafood boil for a while and really wanted to swing by this restaurant since it had been a long time that I hadn’t visited. It used to be excellent so I had big expectations. Sadly it was very disappointing. This place has gone downhill. It is dirty. It is warm. It is unorganized. It is crowded and loud. The floors were sticky. There was all kinds of unorganized chaos. Thru our visit we saw and heard kids being loud, crying and the staff said nothing to the parents despite of how uncomfortable it obviously was to everyone around., the worse one was a family that sat next to us and their kid had his iPad in full volume…. We patiently waited to see if anyone from the STAFF would say something but apparently that’s okay and acceptable. Finally I asked the parent if this kid if he could lower the volume. I ended up packing it up and taking it to the comfort of my home and adding some corn, potatoes and boiled eggs 🥚 (which they don’t offer) and actually enjoying it. 👌👌👌 It was honestly better and more savory than what I had at the restaurant. What has happened to public dining etiquette? It’s fully on the property management to enforce proper etiquette to accommodate their clients and make sure everyone has a good experience. The food was good but for what we paid and the quality and experience., I do not recommend it. Parking was full., there were trucks parked on the grass and their patio was occupied despite of the hot Texas weather. It’s sad to see a place I once loved become so unpleasant.

Order boiled shrimp and snow crab legs flavor garlic spicy and they gave me my food with buffalo sauce and not Cajun sauce

I was working close enough to be able to go buy there two times. I've been there plenty of times before over the many years. Aw shucks was my mainstay back in the 80s and 90s. Big shucks on mockingbird and in Richardson seem to be always packed. So if you can't get into aw shucks and can't find parking, go to Big shucks, not very far away from the Aw Shuck's restaurant but it's so great you won't regret it.

The restaurant has nice atmosphere, a good place for family and friends to have a good meal and good time. The food was delicious, I ordered blackened shrimp salad, good potion and delicious

Went 8pm on a Saturday with a line out the door, but moved at a fair pace. Everybody was friendly and inviting, got the spicy shrimp cocktail which is served in a mug of the cocktail sauce blend, buffalo wings and a the boil. Was all absolutely delicious and they were pumping out the food. Despite it being packed got our food in less than 10 min. Will be back!

Food is great and the restaurant itself isn’t bad but there’s been TERRIBLE AND ON GOING CAR THEFT since at least last year, in their parking lot. the restaurant owners/employees do not seem to care. I wouldn’t feel comfortable eating here anymore knowing that many vehicles have been taken while ppl dine.

Pizza restaurant
Zoli's NY Pizza is a pizzeria in the Dallas area that has gained a cult following for its NYC-style pies, heros, and salads. The restaurant features Star Wars artwork and sassy signage, creating a unique and lively atmosphere. Established in 2013 by Cane Rosso founder Jay Jerrier and Chef Jeff Bekavac, Zoli's is known for its delicious New York-style pizza with a genuine touch of Italian roots.
For starters, from the host stand to the actual wait person, Mia, it felt like a well rehearsed flawless execution. The hosted and Mia were kind, inviting and answered questions. I marveled at the decor. The no was befuddled by it. Unicorns, dog photos, Star Wars and Seinfeld. Whatnot culture universe have we stumbled in to? Needless, ordered Sam Adams Oktoberfest on draft and it had ice crystals in it. Draft beer perfection. We had an appetizer and ordered our own pies. So flavorful and not too heavy. Enough for leftovers (which made for great breakfast this morning). We will be back. This. Is it exceeded our expectations and then some.
Michael D — Google review
The pizza here promises so much! But just falls short on cook and flavor… We also tried the whipped ricotta toasts hoping it would be close to the North Italia incarnation, unfortunately this was a sad rendition of this dish. No flavor, lack luster ricotta and dry bread, such descriptive promise with no oomph. The pizza were much the same they looked good but were just plain, the sauces lack any character, the meats seemed generic, little flavor or nuance. Such a shame I really wanted to like the food. Service was excellent and the location was decent to boot.
Suresh P — Google review
This New York–style pizza spot totally nails the Star Wars theme! The decor and music make it feel like you’ve stepped into a galaxy far, far away, and the pizza itself is out of this world—crispy crust, gooey cheese, and packed with flavor. The only downside was the service. We had to get up to ask for refills and grab our own to-go boxes, which took away from the overall experience. Still, the food and fun theme make it worth a visit for any Star Wars or pizza fan.
Carolyn P — Google review
When I searched for local pizza places, Zolis pizza seemed to be a popular choice. However, upon visiting, I found the atmosphere to be more like a sports bar with a fast-casual vibe. On a Saturday night, the place was surprisingly empty, and we had to wait for 10 minutes to be seated. We ordered the zucchini fries and pizza, but unfortunately, the food didn't live up to our expectations. The zucchini fries were mediocre, and the pizzas were disappointing. The buffalo pizza had an overwhelming amount of sauce and dry chicken, while the cheese pizza had too much cheese and lacked tomato sauce. Based on this experience, I wouldn't consider Zolis a highly-rated pizza place.
Akhila Y — Google review
Best pizza I’ve had in a very long time. We were here visiting for a concert, and stopped by this little restaurant off the main road. The service was awesome, the Star Wars theme was incredible, and the pizza? Phenomenal. I will be back if I’m ever in Dallas again!
Michael Y — Google review
We were looking for a Friday pizza place and this was actually our second choice, but the first place was so *unbusy* we left; and we are glad we did! Zoli's was terrific! We had a half El Supremo/half "garlic schmutz" (don't remember it's actual name LOL) and it was delicious. We would definitely recommend it to any visitors and would happily visit again in our next trip to Addison.
David W — Google review
First time here. Met up with a friend. The space is very welcoming. Staff is friendly and the food we delicious. We ordered the fried zucchini and a 18 inch pizza. You can split toppings the pizza, so it's like having two mini pizzas. Definitely coming back to try the lasagna.

Ordered online pickup. Husband went to have a beer while waiting. They never told him it was ready, everything was lukewarm. And one of the pizzas just looked really sad; especially compared to their website photo. Bartender was great, atmosphere was pleasant, we've had mixed experiences with the food and the pickup in the past.

Chicken restaurant
Mike's Chicken is a family-owned eatery located in an unassuming corner inside a laundromat in Dallas. It all started when Tram Dao, an immigrant from Vietnam, set out to create the perfect chicken tenders for her son, Mike. The menu has since expanded to include bone-in fried chicken, buttery biscuits, savory sides, and flavorful dipping sauces like the popular 'Mike's Sauce.' Every order is prepared fresh to ensure quality.
When it comes to fried chicken I’d like to consider myself a professional critic and this spot did not disappoint. Seriously. The reviews and stars are well earned. Originally ordered to-go but the chicken exuded so much warmth and aroma, it hit us instantly. We couldn’t wait. Sat and ate on the spot. Food ordered: 3 piece dark meat. ( legs + thighs) The thighs and legs were perfection. Perfect crisp. Perfect level of juiciness. French fries are a MUST! Mashed potatoes hit the spot! (Can’t go wrong with either side tbh) Baked beans were a solid choice traditional and fresh with a twist of their own. Establishment was packed. However, very structured and clean. The place was packed but clean, structured, and well-run. Staff was patient, friendly, and helpful, especially with it being my first visit. They also have a to-go window which you can access from the outside. 10/10! I will definitely be back.
Lina B — Google review
Pretty good chicken! I can see what the hype is about. I especially enjoyed the sauce options. Also reasonably priced. I ordered to go while there and waited for the order. I enjoyed what I got. However, they messed up my friends order. In their defense, I didn't notice until I got home, so they didn't have a chance to fix the error. They were extremely busy when I stopped by, so that may have contributed to it as well. I definitely don't hold it against them. I would happily go back, next time I'm in the area and want fried chicken.
Kaitlin B — Google review
Came to Dallas for a brief weekend and when looking for the best places to eat, Mike’s consistently showed up so I came straight from the airport here. The space was clean and lively with great music in the background and the host did a good job of explaining the menu and setting expectations about wait times. I had the 3pc dark spicy chicken, Mac and cheese, and creamed corn. Paired with the Mike’s sauce, ranch, and honey mustard. Everything came out nice and hot. The flavor for the chicken however stopped at the crispy beautifully colored breading. The chicken itself wasn’t flavorful which was disappointing. The Mac was decent but wasn’t mind blowing. Outside of that I loved the biscuit, creamed corn and the Mike’s sauce.
Becky A — Google review
Finally got to try mikes after so long. Been wanting to try this place for a while. The food is worth the hype. The chicken is delicious. Food was fresh and tasted great. Service was great as well, we went in during lunch hour it was really busy every employee was hustling to get orders out. Some of the best halal fried chicken you’ll have. Definitely worth a try.
Syed J — Google review
One of us has been here before and it seems this visit did not live up to previous experiences. The food was overall okay. Great crisp on the chicken both the tenders and the 3pc dark combo. Flavor wise it was not seasoned very well on the 3pc dark combo but the sauces did help. The mac and cheese noodles were a little on the soft side and the chicken has quite a bit of grease. The did make it fresh though which was greatly appreciated. The fries were good, the biscuit too but nothing special. Only other gripe was that there were no clean tables so we had to clean it by ourselves but they were very busy so it may have been difficult to keep up with in that moment. Service was average. Might return to give it another shot on a day that is not as high volume.
BigBacksRus — Google review
Delicious Chicken! The sides were honestly a let down especially when compared to how amazing the chicken tasted. We were offered Mac n Cheese which wasn’t even on the menu. The Mac was basic at best even though it looked great. The creamed corn was good just left me wanting more from it. The mashed potatoes were good, but the chicken stole the show. This place makes everything once you order it, so be prepared to wait at least 15 mins if not more. It’s usually crowded for a good reason. Their prices are fair for Dallas. Staff were friendly. Overall if you love perfectly fried chicken with crispy skin and juicy inside then come give Mike’s a chance.
Coach T — Google review
Listen, all I can say is much respect to Mike's. I am a picky eater and I rarely eat chicken on the bone, but when I say its fresh always. Its fresh always. I appreciate them for looking out for me too, I was coming from working out of town and placed an order with the wrong pick up time. They still made sure my food was fresh when I got there. You cannot beat it. Quality and quantity for sure. Ill take quality food any day over rushed cold food, that's for sure!!!!!!
Tee B — Google review
Been coming to Mike's for awhile now, but damn not sure if I'll be back anytime soon. 1st off a youngster with the Edgar haircut was dapping up all his people instead of taking my order, someone else stepped in and took it. Absolutely no favor to the mac and cheese also so seasoning to the fries. Chicken was a little dry as well.

We came here on Thursday evening, July 31st around 7pm… and there was only one person working? The gentleman looked a little flustered, but he handled the growing line without any problems, but PLEASE GIVE HIM A RAISE!!! Aside from the only one employee doing all the work, this was such a great find for us! We’re always looking for dessert shops who don’t add a bunch of added junk to make things taste good. This was such a treat for us since I am a diabetic, I can’t really enjoy many desserts since they spike my sugar levels, so I was glad that we found a place that only sweetened their ice cream with honey. I got the Honey flavor with some fresh strawberries and it just hit the spot for my little ice cream craving. My husband got the same thing a cone with some peanuts and he loved his as well. Can’t wait to be back!

I visited this spot with my son over the spring break. We enjoyed our time there. It was small and the service was very quick. I was grateful to have a sample of the ice cream before making an order. My son had the cookies and cream sundae and I had a brownie sundae. It was not super sweet but actually just right!

I got news about their closing date (August 5th). These marshmallows we’re life changing and this hibiscus drink is so refreshing. The rosemary peach and homemade ice cream cone is just perfect. I just pray they decide to come back later on.

Really good ice cream and a nice stop for dessert. The two of us shared the honey vanilla flavor. We sampled the honey lavender flavor and the lavender was way too strong so maybe don't get that lol.
Christopher S — Google review
This place is good. Very high quality. However like I want my strawberry soft serve to taste like strawberry, not honey. Great concept, just needs to be revamped a little bit. I think the hazelnut is the best! Just flavors need to taste more like their actual flavor.

Enjoyed some ice cream on a random date night out. The custom service was impeccable! We were able to try samples before deciding. The option to swirl your flavors instead of having them completely separate (think scoops) made not only a beautiful presentation but a fun mix of the flavors. There is a limited selection of flavors, but it is definitely worth trying by if you’re in the area. I usually avoid cones but the chocolate waffle cone was a superb addition that complimented my ice cream well.

I absolutely love Snooze! It’s my go-to breakfast spot and I always love bringing family or friends here for the first time. The staff is always lovely, food usually comes out fairly quickly, and it’s always good. My standard order is the snooze classic with the “cinnful” (off menu item) pancake. It’s good every single time I order it, no hit or miss! Do yourself a favor and visit, bring friends and family too!!

I got breakfast and oh my goodness are the scrambled eggs are like nothing I have eaten before. SO AIRY AND DELICIOUS. Kind of delicate. If you like perfectly burnt bacon this is for you. Hashbrowns are presented in a different way than I’ve seen before but that doesn’t affect the taste. 10/10 I do have to say that the seasonal pumpkin pancakes were mid. 7/10 the service was just ok. Staff was nice but my table was left to wait more than anticipated to order and to ask for cutlery. Atmosphere was great.
Red G — Google review
Had a great breakfast at Snooze. The decor is fun and has an older diner feel. Tried two kinds of Eggs Benedict, the Habanero Pork Belly and the Salsa Verde. Both were excellent. The habanero had a good amount of heat. Service was good, if a bit on the slower side. We went on a Friday so it wasn't as busy as the weekend. Would go back.
Jesse B — Google review
The food was good I really enjoyed the cinnamon roll pancakes. We also had the pineapple upside down pancakes. They were good but we could barely taste any pineapple flavoring.

Arrived uncaffeinated and mildly cranky left full and considering writing a love letter to a pancake. Snooze on Oak Lawn has a fun retro diner vibe but with food that actually tastes like someone cared. I got the Snooze Breakfast and obviously added a pineapple upside down pancake because I know what I’m doing. Service was a little on the slow side but they were slammed and I’m not in a rush when the food’s this good. The pancake was fluffy sweet and might’ve healed a small part of my soul. Totally coming back with coffee in hand and stretchy pants.

There’s two places I’ll get a mocha from, and this is one of them! Have tried many different dishes(not all at this location), but have never been disappointed yet. We wish they had this chain by us as we would be there daily!

Snooze in Dallas absolutely nailed it! From the moment we walked in, the energy was upbeat and the service was friendly. I tried the Barbacoa Chile Verde Benedict and Juan’s breakfast tacos — both were incredible! Perfectly poached eggs, flavorful meats, and that house-made hollandaise? Chef’s kiss. But the real MVPs? The Yellowbird Serrano and Habanero hot sauces on the table. 🔥 They added just the right kick and took everything to the next level. The crispy hashbrowns were golden and addictive, and the salsa on the side had just enough bite to keep things interesting. If you’re looking for a fun, fresh brunch spot in Dallas with bold flavors and great vibes, Snooze is the place. Can’t wait to go back!

I’ve tried this place a couple times, most recently for one of their social 5K runs. For $30 you get 3 beers (to-go option as well), 2 tacos ($4 each), and some great exercise. I tried the “Hive Dive” and the “Don’t Think it Won’t Happen.” Both were tasty. I preferred the “Don’t Think it Won’t Happen.” I also took home a “Velvet Hammer.” The staff are very friendly. The beer options are great. Already looking forward to the next social run.

Las Palmas Tex-Mex is a vibrant restaurant housed in a bright pink building, offering creative south-of-the-border cocktails and Tex-Mex combination plates. The establishment hosts a generous happy hour from 2 to 6 pm with discounted draft beers, Ranch Waters, Old Fashioneds, and Margaritas alongside affordable Tex-Mex plates like crispy tacos, burritos, tamales, and nacho fries.
We had an incredible experience at Las Palmas Tex-Mex in Dallas — it completely lived up to the buzz and then some. From the moment we arrived, the ambiance hit all the right notes: relaxed yet elevated, with warm lighting, welcoming service, and a beautiful patio setting that felt unmistakably Texan. We started with their creamy queso, which came loaded with jalapeños and melty cheese — rich, comforting, and clearly made for sharing. The chips and salsa were outstanding: you get both a verde and a red salsa, and both had deep flavor with just the right amount of heat. Fresh toppings like chopped onions and cilantro elevated each bite. For mains, I ordered the brisket birria tacos, and they were spot-on — juicy, flavorful, and wrapped in lightly crisped tortillas that held together beautifully. The portion was generous and deeply satisfying. My wife had the fajita combo, which was served sizzling and then drizzled with bone marrow juice at the table — easily one of the most flavorful fajita presentations we’ve had anywhere. Every element was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Service was excellent — attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly — and the portions were hearty without being overwhelming. Las Palmas strikes a great balance between modern flair and traditional Tex-Mex comfort, making it a perfect choice whether you’re visiting Dallas or live here. Pro tip: come hungry and try the bone marrow fajita — it’s a standout. Verdict: 5 stars. We’ll definitely be back.

Wow! Great food, great atmosphere and great service! 30 minute wait - yet sat at the bar. There’s two bars within the restaurant. House margaritas weren’t strong but weren’t weak - perfect. Chips and salsa was plentiful for just one diner (just me). Salsas were very good! Chips tasted homemade! Highly recommended!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent food, service, and atmosphere! My wife and I stopped in for lunch for our very first visit, and it won’t be our last! The cozy atmosphere and background music made it feel warm and inviting. The chips and salsa were amazing, and the queso was creamy, cheesy, and full of flavor. At the owner’s suggestion, we shared the ½ order of ribs, perfectly seasoned, served over a bed of fries with charro beans on the side. We finished with sopapilla cheesecake à la mode. Perfectly baked and absolutely delicious. Everything about this meal was fantastic. We’ll definitely be back and will be telling others!

We had a wonderful experience at Las Palmas! The staff was extremely courteous and attentive from start to finish. When my daughter ordered queso, we quickly realized it was far too spicy for her to enjoy. Without hesitation, the team kindly comped the dish—even though my son was practically licking the bowl clean because he loved it so much. Many of their dishes do lean on the spicier side, but I found them to be absolutely delicious and full of flavor. The ambience is hip, stylish, and fun—perfect for a night out. I’m already looking forward to patio weather so I can come back and sip on a margarita while soaking it all in!

The place was so adorable and cozy with a very sweet lady as the cashier. She double checks that you have everything you need! It all makes you feel a sort of nostalgia, like you’re right at home. It has pride potted plants and a beautiful mural. Just a warning that the coffee is extremely strong with a milkshake texture and will leave you on a high and shaking if you’re not careful. My friend got the pork ban mi which was delicious and I got their chocolate bread.

I have been here a couple of times for the Vietnamese coffee and donuts but first time having one of the banh mi sandwiches. Loved it! Got the grilled pork, the flavors were amazing and the bread they use is perfect for the sandwich. If it wasn't 100 degrees outside (no inside seating in case you have not been there yet) it would have been ideal. But they do a good job of putting up shade where they can and have fans moving to air to help out. Great food and the people who work there are always so nice.

1st time to visit. Super friendly employees and cute decor. All seating is outdoors so the hot Texas heat made it tough to get comfortable while eating our lunch. Pricing is such that our meal for 4 with appetizers and drinks quickly ran the tab to over $100 for lunch. The Nem Sausage Nuggets ($12.75) were tasty and good for sharing. The Fried Eggrolls ($9.75) were standard and a tad pricey. Recommend skipping these. The Bahn Mi sandwiches were delicious. Pay attention to the add-ons as a fried egg ($2.75) and fish sauce ($2.50) will run that bill up fast. The Coco Nam Sua Da ($6.25) was average though it was described and marketed beautifully. Overall, we enjoyed the meal and were glad to check this spot out. It's always a good thing to support passionate small business owners and their dreams!

I even saved half of it to bring back to my mom. I got a chance to talk to the chef she was so down to earth and sweet and personable. Made my day! Say man.. Get the Banh MI Xiu Mai.. That thing is a flavor bomb. Garlic Tomato sauce, jalapeños, cilantro, with these flavorful pork meatballs. The bread is flakey and soft like a Philly Hogie. These guys have the formula. Everything tasted super fresh. Only complaint is it's $17 bucks a sandwich but everything is expensive now.
Ivan B — Google review
Delicious banh mi! Service is quick and friendly. Prices are reasonable. Plenty of parking in the back. There’s no indoor dining so be aware if the weather is cold. Abundant outdoor seating though. I ordered the Ga Gung (ginger chicken) sandwich and I want more😋🤤I’ll definitely come back here but be mindful of the hours of opening. This place closes at 3pm. There used to be evening hours but not anymore.

Nestled in a cozy strip mall, Phở Bắc is a delightful haven for lovers of Southeast Asian cuisine, offering an array of soups, sandwiches, and buns. Recently, I had the pleasure of trying their Phở Tái Kobe—a dish that has set a new standard for me. The rich flavors and generous portions of tender Kobe beef made it unforgettable.
I went on Sunday, and the place was packed, lively, and deliciously smelling aroma of Pho. Pho's broth is definitely traditional with years of experience. Portion size for a medium bowl was good enough for me. It's hard to find a place like this with a hot bowl of pho and taste absolutely delicious. Total recommended!!!!
Jd N — Google review
Really disappointed with my experience here. I came in on Friday night for pho and got bun bo hue to go. They said only a large is available to go, not small, not medium. Ok, fine. I didn’t eat it until Sunday morning, and when I did, it was already spoiled—super sour and completely inedible. Total waste of time and money. Really unacceptable to be served food that spoils that quickly. Food shouldn’t go bad that fast unless it was already sitting out or not stored properly.
Krystal N — Google review
This restaurant serves the best pho in town! The beef noodles are incredibly delicious and hot, making them the perfect remedy for when you're feeling under the weather. The friendly, family-oriented atmosphere adds to the experience, making it a truly comforting place to eat.
Hoang L — Google review
Phở Bắc is definitely worth the wait! When we arrived, there were a lot of customers, which shows how popular this place is. Despite the wait, the food was absolutely delicious, flavorful broth and fresh ingredients made every bite amazing. If you’re craving authentic and tasty pho, this is the place to go!
Celine H — Google review
The Pho chicken soup that I had received wasn't bad. But I will always have my favorite pho soup in Las Vegas, Nevada. The service is great and wasn't too crowded. The parking isn't bad it isn't a little small complex, but there should be plenty of parking.
Miss A — Google review
Visited on a Wednesday at 2pm and the place was bustling. Service was quick and polite. I had the Mi Bo Kho, which is yellow egg noodles in their beef stew. The stew had a great depth of flavors and seasonings. The stew had plenty of beef brisket/belly, carrots and the thick texture clinched to the noodles. The noodles were cheery and delicious.

i can't tell if I'm getting all is the meat i requested in the pho bo i asked for between 4 to 5 meats but the portions are small even in the large and i ddnt taste all of the meat choices i requested

Always come here for the pho tai – it’s legit amazing. I always add beef tendon and tripe too… game changer. The broth is super flavorful, and everything’s cooked just right. If you’re into pho, you’ve gotta try this place. Try “pickle onions” an “Ot sate” - it goes so well together with beef.

Ruins, a popular spot since its opening in 2018, offers a unique blend of Oaxacan-style Mexican cuisine with Caribbean and South American influences. The bar is known for its extensive selection of agave-based spirits, including over 100 tequilas and mezcals, as well as rum, whiskey, brandy, and liqueurs. The menu features delectable dishes such as Fideo soup and Roasted Chayote Salad.
First time coming here the other night and I must say. I was shocked. It was such a laid back vibe, the patrons were nice and the whole atmosphere itself was very welcoming. It's a place with good energy, great drinks and good food.

I got the steak and carnitas tacos with a passionfruit margarita. The tacos were flavorful and delicious. The margarita was refreshing. The servers and bartenders are nice and attentive. The vibes are chill. Come in and seat yourself then the servers will come to you as menus are provided on the table. I will definitely be back! There is a table large enough to fit a group of six or seven and there is outdoor seating.

Came to see RUSSELL! Great atmosphere and such an intimate venue. Drinks are great, but we didn't get any food so no say about that.

We were in Dallas for a work trip and trying to find a place for drinks after dinner. We were headed to Another place but as we walked by, Ruins was playing Suicidal Tendencies and we were like “dude, yes”. So glad we stopped here. The drinks were INCREDIBLE. The service was great. The vibe is strong. We will say “yes” any time work wants us to come to Dallas just so we can hit up Ruins again. I may take a trip just for another sip of the Priestess of the Mushrooms cocktail!!

Stopped in for drinks and some tacos. Bartender was super sweet and awesome. We loved the pastor tacos and the orange hot sauce. Must visit.

Jorge was amazing! I left the bar to go see their other room and he put napkins over my drinks. Amazing bartender and good drinks ! Coconut margarita was great!

Stopped by early on a Sunday with some friends; the ambiance is incredible. The artwork all over the interior is incredible and pulls a cohesive tone throughout. Also, the Limbo Room stage in the back was awesome and I look forward to seeing a show in there next time I come back to Dallas.

Prompt service! Ordered a Painkiller, Long Island Tea, the Elote, Shrimp Nachos & Steak Fajitas. The Nachos & Elote were good. The Fajitas didn't come w/any tortillas & left much to be desired. Also, I didn't like the fact that there was an automatic 18% gratuity added because I ALWAYS tip!

Yellow Rosa Cocktaileria is a hidden gem located behind an unmarked door, offering a cozy and romantic atmosphere reminiscent of a Mexican cantina. The enclosed courtyard features vines climbing up the stone walls and live music, creating a Tulum or San Miguel de Allende vibe. The menu includes an array of Mexican small plates like elotes and aguachiles, as well as tasty tacos.
The staff, food, drinks, atmosphere and owner, Joel, were awesome! They are an awesome Mexican restaurant with authentic Mexican food and original ideas! I would recommend this restaurant to everyone! We went during their holiday season and they have really cool festive drinks and decor! The snow every 30 minutes is an awesome idea I’ve never seen before! Thank you Yellow Rosa! We will be back when we are in the Dallas area!!

We had a fantastic time here last weekend for cocktails. We did not try the food, but the complimentary chips and salsa were great. The cocktails were all well made and balanced, and the bartender was very friendly and engaging. We will definitely return when we are back in town!
Dave D — Google review
We had an amazing experience at Yellow Rosa Cocktaileria! We started with the queso fundido, which was rich, cheesy, and perfectly melty—great for sharing. For our mains, we had the sour cream enchiladas and the quesabirria tacos, both of which were outstanding. The enchiladas were creamy and flavorful, while the tacos were crispy, juicy, and packed with delicious birria. The ambiance was vibrant and inviting, and the service was attentive without being overbearing. Overall, a fantastic spot for great food and cocktails—we’ll definitely be back!

The hostess yaya and flor literally made this night so special. I feel like they helped us more intentionally and joyfully than our waitress. When they realized we had come to show our 6 year old the restaurant with snow they engaged with her and made her feel comfortable. The food was also amazing. The price matches the quality, taste and proportions. We will definitely come again.

Love the vibes!! The mariachi was the cherry on top!! Definitely coming back. Hidden gems Dallas peeps!!! Lilly was an awesome waiter and jaime awesome manager

We decided to make a family dinner and check out the fancy restaurant that snows every 30 minutes! The food was amazing! We had the appetizer which was ceviche! Very tasty! The quesadillas shrimp tacos and enchiladas were also very delicious! I will mention that they add a 18% gratuity to the bill for a party of 7. But other then that it was a great experience:)
Haley P — Google review
I had a really good time at Yellow Rosa. The atmosphere was inviting and a mariachi was available to perform at tables. The food was well prepared and delicious. Try the breakfast tacos and a cocktail.

10/10!!! This is my new fave Mexican spot! Look for the yellow rose on the sidewalk to unlock the best Mexican food and craft cocktails! The owner, Joel, was amazing. He greeted us and gave us great suggestions for ordering. We were there right when brunch was ending but he still allowed my friends to order brunch. The atmosphere was top notch and I loved the ambiance. The decor was so beautiful! I had the steak fajitas and an asada taco and everything was amazing.

Ramen restaurant
Izakaya restaurant
Tucked away in the Castle Hills neighborhood of Lewisville, just south of The Colony, Ramen Izakaya Akira is a hidden gem overseen by chef Akira Imamura. This cozy spot offers freshly made noodles and an intimate bar where you can watch the chefs at work. The restaurant opens at 5:00pm and provides a small, quiet setting for about 25 guests.
As they operate out of Moonlight atm, seating fills up quickly during dinner hours. Highly recommend making reservations after 6 PM on their busy days. Jazz-themed decor and music made the dining experience very intimate. My wife and I each got our own ramen and opted for the daily chutoro special; it did not disappoint. It was so fresh that my wife, who is usually unable to eat seafood due to the smell of most sashimi, was able to enjoy two large pieces of the chutoro. The Nagoya ramen has a spicy kick from the special chili oil, and the Tokyo shoyu ramen is definitely full of umami. If you haven't dined here yet, you are definitely missing out!
Jason Y — Google review
Y’all… I just had the spicy garlic chicken ramen at Akira and I’m actually speechless!First of all, that broth?? Rich. Spicy. Garlicky. It hit like a warm hug and a mic drop at the same time. The chicken karage was like soya glazed crispy chicken which was also so good!
Samiha T — Google review
My new favorite ramen spot. The pork broth ramen was well balanced and savory. Noodles were and chewy and perfect. The pork belly was thick cut and had amazing flavor. I will be coming here again.
Tris P — Google review
We went to the ramen Akita with the family for lunch. Although there was only one person - owner, chef?- the service was attentive and personable. The menu was simple, which IMO, is preferable compared to a long list and the food/ramen was excellent. I tried the chicken karaage and spicy garlic chicken ramen. The broth was savory and flavorful and the texture of the ramen was just right.
Hong K — Google review
I got the spicy garlic chicken ramen and it was out of this world. Might be my newest favorite ramen in DFW. Definitely coming back and would 10/10 recommend.
Hiral P — Google review
The food here was pretty mediocre in my opinion. Kept hearing about it and wasn't impressed. Kind of weird to order a spicy pork shoyu with all the ingredients at the bottom. There were multiple noodles that were sticking together and the noodles were a bit mushy. The broth did make up for my review from a two star to a three star though. I did try the beef tataki and again, wasn't impressed. I think everyone should give it a try though before going off my review since we all have different taste buds. Some of you guys might actually like this place. It isn't a 4+ rated place for nothing.
Lang N — Google review
This place is amazing! Super intimate and can tell every dish was made with care. Will definitely be back.
