Restaurant
BENZiNA is an Italian restaurant located in the vibrant Sant Antoni district of Barcelona. The eatery boasts an industrial-style ambiance with a touch of New York flair, offering a unique dining experience. The menu features regional Roman cuisine, including antipasti, fresh pasta made in-house, and a selection of meat and seafood dishes.
One of the best Italian spots in Barcelona! Benzina is a cozy, beautifully designed restaurant that instantly makes you feel at home. The food is exceptional, classic Italian dishes with creative twists, made with top quality ingredients. Every plate is a hit, but the Carbonara is my absolute favorite! What truly sets this place apart is the amazing staff. Chiara is an absolute gem, warm, always smiling, and incredibly helpful with great recommendations. The owner, Badr, is often around, making everyone feel like family with his generosity (don’t be surprised if you’re treated to a glass of Cava or dessert!). A must, visit every time I’m in Barcelona, delicious food, great vibes, and wonderful people.
Tarek M — Google review
Had the best time here! First and foremost, our server Hector was not only funny but so open, helpful, kind, and beyond welcoming. He shared some of his story with us, answered questions we had, and was helpful in selecting what to eat. (I’ve attached various photos of the great food! Not pictured: the eggplant appetizer which, I admit, is one of the more odd things I’ve had, but wonderfully so! I suggest it a million times over, it was an eggplant confit with a Parmesan ice cream! We also had the calamari which was the right amount of salty and crunchy! Tens across the board!) Entrees didn’t disappoint and dessert was a perfect end to a perfect dinner service. As I find is fairly typical with EU restaurants, they were more than cautious about my nut allergy—very attentive and thorough.
Sophia F — Google review
absolutely LOVED this restaurant for its exceptional hospitality, delicious food, and industrial chic yet warm vibe. I have a severe food allergy, and they were so kind about accommodating it/explaining the menu. 10/10 would recommend and if I lived in Barcelona, I’d be back every week.
Catherine C — Google review
This is by far the best restaurant I’ve been to in Barcelona. The vibe and interior are absolutely stunning and create a fantastic atmosphere. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the service was outstanding. As for the food — it exceeded all my expectations, especially considering the reasonable prices. The braised beef cheek was absolutely delicious: tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Everything was just right. I would recommend this place to everyone!
Jasmijn M — Google review
I loved all the appetizers and the desserts! The asparagus risotto had a bit too intense of a flavor for my taste, but everything else was excellent. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming.
Tsira L — Google review
PROS: Great service Enjoyable atmosphere Good taste Great location CONS: Small portions Their desserts lacked flavor, especially the cheesecake. Very plain.
Brunch, V — Google review
A really cozy Italian restaurant with friendly service and great food. To start, we had the berenjena confitada, crudo de pez limón, and steak tartare, followed by the carbonara and the linguine with lobster. Overall, everything was very good, the starters might have even been the highlight. The only downside was the lobster linguine, which wasn’t our favorite since the strong cardamom flavor overpowered the whole dish.
Bruno F — Google review
Came after seeing the great reviews and it did not disappoint! The confit aubergine alla parmigiana was so flavourful and melted in their mouths, the spaghetti à la carbonara was perfection – probably the best carbonara of my life, and the grilled scallops were cooked to perfection, nice and tender with the fresh watermelon gazpacho. Jorge, our server, was so friendly and took amazing care of us. He is the one who offered all of the different recommendations and steered us in the right direction. He also welcomed us with warmth and enthusiasm, making our final night in Barcelona very memorable. Thank you, Jorge and Benzina!!!

Italian restaurant
Le Cucine Mandarosso is an Italian restaurant located in the Born neighborhood, with another branch in Madrid. The cozy space features tiled interiors and offers classic pasta dishes, seasonal Italian mains, and desserts. The restaurant prides itself on traditional Italian cuisine made from seasonal ingredients. From classic lasagna to pasta casarecce with egg cream and gnocchi with tomato, ricotta, and eggplant, the menu showcases comfort food prepared to perfection.
Delicious Italian dishes done in authentic way. The atmosphere of the restaurant transports you to Italy. I loved the theme of the place. The food was excellent and the staff were understanding and welcoming, you feel like you are eating at a friend’s house. Just a great dinner. Recommended 👍🏼
Ala A — Google review
A good spot for Italian food! This restaurant came highly recommended, and while I enjoyed my meal, it didn’t fully meet my expectations. The staff were friendly, but ordering was a bit hectic. Some dishes stood out, especially the lamb and pumpkin lasagna, which were fantastic. A few pasta dishes, like the Genovese, could have been served warmer, but the flavors were great overall. Desserts were decent, though not particularly memorable. I’d consider visiting again to try more of the menu.
Cesar A — Google review
We visited Le Cucine Mandarosso as a family — my wife, our three kids, and myself — and had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere and vibe of the restaurant are warm, authentic, and full of character, with a touch that feels like family heritage passed through generations. The food was excellent, among the best Italian we’ve had in Barcelona. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, especially Lucia, who went out of her way to guide us through the menu. As we asked about vegetarian and vegan options, she kindly explained everything and helped us choose the best dishes for our family. This restaurant combines delicious food, great service, and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel at home. Truly one of the best Italian restaurants in Barcelona — we will definitely come back.
Mujtaba A — Google review
Cozy place, a bit hot in summer. Food was amazing, we are definitely coming back. Just one tip: make sure the forks/knives are clean before handing them out because they were a bit dirty. Other than that everything was fantastic :)
Alejandra G — Google review
⭐ 1 Star This was honestly the worst meal I’ve had in Spain. We ordered three different pastas and two appetizers. One of the appetizers was a squash blossom, which was deep-fried—completely ruining the delicate flavor. The biggest issue, though, was the cold lasagna my friend received. When we let the waiter know, he brought over someone who seemed like a manager or head waiter. Instead of apologizing, he argued with us, saying they prepare the lasagna ahead of time and “it’s normal” in America, China, and Italy. I’ve been to countless Italian restaurants around the world and never once been served cold lasagna. The way he handled the situation was completely unprofessional. Rather than taking accountability or trying to make things right, he dismissed our concerns and doubled down. It left a sour taste in my mouth—not just from the food, but from the attitude. If you’re looking for authentic, well-prepared Italian food with good service, this is NOT the place. Terrible experience all around.
Riselys N — Google review
Bam! We love this cool, chill, rustic place with a hgreat ambiance, people and excellent food! We had the straccetti con speck which was super tasty, what a great combo of falvors with the creamy cheese and slightly spicy meat. Next, the linguini con vongole, which was some of the best we have ever had. To finish we had the carbonera, which for some reason I had never had in my life. Well, this was the place to get it, it was so rich , perfectly cooked and we could not stop eating it. We will definitely come ack soon. Go!

The food is incredibly delicious! So so good. Wanted to try the chocolate cake as well but they didn't have it, so definitely next time!

Restaurant
Xemei is a popular spot known for its Veneto region cuisine, offering a variety of pasta and shellfish dishes. The cozy Italian restaurant, named after the Venetian word for twins, is highly regarded for its authentic Italian food. Run by the Colombo twins, Xemei boasts a charming interior with mismatched furniture centered around a bar that opens into the kitchen. The menu features daily-rotating dishes with a focus on seafood-based Venetian cuisine.
Xemei is an absolute gem in Barcelona! The food is delicious, with authentic Venetian flavors that stand out. The cozy atmosphere and friendly service make it a fantastic dining experience. I highly recommend taking the walk down from Montjuïc before your meal—it’s the perfect way to close out a beautiful stroll with an unforgettable dining experience. Definitely worth the visit!
Sylvia P — Google review
If you like genuine Italian food this is the place! Lots of locals is a sign for a good restaurant, heard the owner are Venetians with lots of passion for this kitchen. We tried the burrata salad, a pasta pappardelle with osso buco and a tomato spaghetti. To drink I had a glass of full bodied red wine at the right temperature. Small things that are important. Love the bread that was served quickly and nice to dip in the burrata. A place to recommend!
Martin G — Google review
When we walked in, they told us the place was fully booked and there were no available tables. We asked if we could sit somewhere just for 30 minutes, and it turned out we actually had 40 minutes before someone’s reservation. Our whole dinner took only 20–30 minutes. So if they tell you it’s fully booked, ask what time the reservations start — you might still have time to enjoy your meal before someone else arrives. We had two pastas and a cheesecake — everything was super tasty. And sitting outside was really lovely!
Ani H — Google review
We had a very nice dinner seated outside and really enjoyed the thoughtful service. The food was uncomplicated, honest, and delicious. A lovely, relaxed experience overall.
Erika — Google review
Extremely positive experience. Fresh food, really nice service. I tried 3 dishes and was satisfied with them: Bigoli in salsa venexiana de cebolla dulce y anchoas - brillant! Baccala mantecato, Sardinas en saor, Boquerones marinados, confit de caballa - the best!! Zamburiñas al horno - I always love them, herecthey were very good too. P.S.: no photos because everything was eaten extremely fast
Daria T — Google review
Great Italian spot in Barcelona! They’re definitely known for their pastas, so I highly recommend trying them. We had the ragù, and the scallops were outstanding — tender and buttery. For dessert, we enjoyed a Basque cheesecake with a unique twist, featuring Parmesan. Some dishes are seasonal, so the menu changes regularly. The service was good, nothing extraordinary, but it met our expectations. The atmosphere is quiet and romantic, perfect for a relaxed meal. The only downside is that it’s a bit far from the city center, but the walk there is pleasant.
Maxime V — Google review
One of the best places I’ve been! Quality of food incredible and excellent service. The atmosphere was so nice and cosy. Recommend if you want an outstanding Italian food with very interesting wine list 😊
Silvia M — Google review
The food was fine altho the curious absence of any vegetables or greens on the menu was a bit disappointing. The roast kid shoulder that I had was beautifully cooked. But something green alongside it would have helped cut through the richness. I speak reasonable Italian but because I'm English the waiter decided to address himself entirely to my Spanish- Italian friend. After we had finished our meal are empty plates remained in front of us for over half an hour until I moved them to a neighbouring table. My friend would have liked desert but nobody bother to ask us if we would like to see the menu. So we let.

Bacaro is an Italian restaurant in Barcelona that offers innovative Venetian cuisine in a cozy, rustic-chic setting. Located near the Mercat de la Boqueria, it's a popular choice for couples seeking fresh produce and an ever-changing menu featuring pasta and fresh fish dishes. The restaurant provides an alternative to commercial eateries by offering authentic, traditional food at great prices. With its charming space and casual dining environment, Bacaro provides a delightful experience.
The place is just amazing! The food was very nice from fresh products. The service is perfect, very attentive and helpful, the cook agreed to overcook my pasta, as my stomach is not very strong. For starters we had fried eggplant and smoked mozzarella, the last one especially was impeccable 🫰🏻 Pappardelle pasta with pork and beef was creamy and nourishing, portions were big. The atmosphere is super friendly, just when you enter the restaurant you fall in love with the smell, well, I did, it smelled of very good food, something like cream pasta I had. The bread they give you is fluffy and spongy, highly recommended to eat with smoked mozzarella.
Olga B — Google review
Hands down the best Italian meal I’ve had in Barcelona. The ragu was really excellent, as was the casarecce. All clearly homemade and incredibly flavoursome. The wine selection was fantastic. The decor and vibe of the restaurant is also wonderfully rustic. The service was extremely warm and friendly.
A S — Google review
Pasta was cooked very well. Flavors were well balanced and portions were generous. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend this place. Do recommend reservations.

Amazing experience! The service was absolutely flawless – attentive, professional, and genuinely friendly. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making you feel instantly comfortable. And the food… simply outstanding! Every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. A must-visit restaurant in Barcelona!

Amazing restaurant. The calamari appetizer was probably the best version of this type of calamari dish I ever had. The mushroom pasta had great texture and taste. Ditto for the mozzarella appetizer. All in all, can't go wrong. The service is great, we had an issue with one of the wines - got fixed, no problem.
Relja M — Google review
Amazing food, atmosphere, and staff! I would come back any day. The wine was delicious, the food suggestions were perfect, and the staff’s help and guidance were excellent. For Italian food in Barcelona, this is my top recommendation!
Jakob J — Google review
Our appetizers were beautiful presented and amazing. The pastas were freshly made. We have the Tagliatelle with ragu that was nice. However, the crème brûlée with chocolate ice cream was a disaster. The crème were really soft and runny, coupled with the dark ice cream, the whole thing looked like a pot of mud. Stick with the tiramisu, which is ok.

Cute little place with lean selected menu. Everything is done differently and very meaningful and tasty. The atmosphere is divine, you can nicely talk without noise and the service was fast and stuff is very kind.

Restaurante La Bella Napoli - Trattoría Pizzería Napolitana is a classic Italian restaurant in Barcelona, offering traditional Neapolitan dishes such as pasta and wood-fired pizza. The ambiance exudes an authentic Italian feel with its red-and-white checked tablecloths and lively service by Neapolitan waiters. Renowned for its thin and crispy pizzas from the wood-fired oven, the menu features favorites like the Sofia Loren and Quattro Stagioni.
We wanted to experience Pizza in Barcelona and I think we travel all the way to an Italian cuisine. Need to say the waiter was really nice to us as the chef. The taste was wonderful and fresh like all the food we have tried in Barcelona. I would totally come back to Barcelona and to this restaurant 🧡✨
Tania C — Google review
I had a great experience at La Bella Napoli! The pizza was absolutely delicious, I went for the one with potatoes, and they were super accommodating when I asked for a few changes. The result was perfect: a huge, generous pizza with amazing flavor. The tiramisù was also lovely: light, tasty, and beautifully presented. On top of that, the service was impeccable: friendly, fast, and attentive.

We came by opening on Saturday, got welcomed and could select a free table. Giving one less star because a cutlery was not very clean as you may see. Otherwise pizzas are very good, service also nice, friendly people. Also had a bottle of wine for 30 euros and it was a very good one. Thank you and will come back again.

This place is a must when visiting Barcelona. I was here 11 years ago with my sister and came back today and meet the same people. The food is amazing and the staff are beyond friendly. Can definitely recommend this place to everyone!
Lava B — Google review
Food was good - pizzas were at a decent price/quality ratio and the pasta was delicious! The cheese sauce with the potato-based appetizer was amazing. Service was a bit slow towards the end of the meal - had to try 4 times to get the bill but it was a super busy evening.
Janel L — Google review
Delicious Italian pizzas and calzones. Nice atmosphere. Food came quicky to the table. Recommended!
Nery B — Google review
The first time I came here was in 2012 and was blown away by how good the pizza was along with the service. Since then, every time I find myself in Barcelona I come here at least once (if not more) for dinner and Bella Napoli never disappoints. It’s been 15 years now and I’m still a fan. Their pizza is the best in the city. Their staff are cheerful and friendly and the owner treats this as a labor of love.

Il Giardinetto is a classic Italian restaurant located in the Gracia district of Barcelona. Since its opening in 1974, it has been a favorite spot for various occasions, from first dates to wedding anniversaries. The interior boasts contemporary decor and an elegant yet understated ambiance that has made it a timeless classic. The restaurant offers a delectable menu featuring Italian pasta dishes and Mediterranean cuisine that has garnered praise over the years.
We are in Barcelona with other colleagues form work. Back at home we found reviews of the restaurant and decided we would go there. We were very well looked after. We just showed up. No reservation, and they accommodated very quickly. A man called Angel was a real angel and can't remember the other two people looking after us but they were fantastic! Food was delicious and we all found it mind blowing. Had a great time. Thank you folks.
Karen R — Google review
Very nice place but food could be better, very basic flavours, for the type of place would expect something better, was good but I don’t think I would go back for the food itself.
Fernando M — Google review
The menu was limited, with no green salad. The sole fish was very dry. The pasta was good. The pizza on very thin bread was OK.
Farhad — Google review
Despite its name, the restaurant is more catalan than Italian I would say. Great generous main dishes (fish, meat, rabbit etc), and not pricy at all. Simple and tasty, good food for the money, and a good option when looking for some local food too. To finish, maybe the best grappa in town (possibly courtesy, if you behave)
Joakim D — Google review
Awful, overpriced food in a place, that hasn't been touched for 30 years (don't get fooled by the pics, it's simply shabby!). Also the waiters couldn't care less about their work. The burrata tasted like mozzerella from a gas station. The pasta were overcooked, bathed in an uninspiring sauce. My company (Italian) had an OK lentil salad and equally disappointing pasta. (all ordered a la carte)
Johann W — Google review
Wondeful time lapse of what new wave brought to restaurants in Barcelona, in front and with the Flash Flash they are modern landmarks. Food is acceptable, but the place is worth the detour!

Very quite and original place, with piano live music some days. Delicious pasta, not specially cheap, but very appropriate prize fot its quality. I really enjoyed the experience in general.

Decor is nice & original but would need some refreshing, the food is very basic for the expensive price, on the menu it looks haut de gamme but plates were very disappointing.

Restaurant
AÜRT Restaurant, situated in the Hilton Diagonal Mar Hotel, is the brainchild of Chef Artur Martinez, renowned for his minimalist yet flavorful dishes. The restaurant's open kitchen allows diners to witness the meticulous preparation of each dish by a talented team of chefs. AÜRT earned its first Michelin star in November 2019 for its posh street food concept that highlights local products.
This is my favourite fine dining restaurant in Barcelona. Everything they do is impeccable. It’s a myth that because they serve you small portions that you don’t get full. Often at these places you even each too much because it’s a few bites of 20 dishes. Here, it was perfect. We left feeling perfectly satisfied. Each dish had purpose and a new perspective. I like how at Aürt the food is so unexpected but made without too much complication. They invite you to explore ingredients, textures, and aesthetics with each dish. And the wine pairing was a spectacular way to enhance the experience. The service was immaculate–smooth, calm, and swift. Everyone was kind and personable. We actually were compensated for the whole menu and wine pairing because they had to move our reservation. It’s crazy amazing how they kept their promise even if in the end they didn’t actually end up rescheduling us. Now THAT is good service. I’m so impressed. We were the only 2 people that night because everyone else had rescheduled and even then they operated the restaurant like any other day without lessening anything from the experience. This place shows how much value can be created from dedication to their client, their staff, and to the craft of gastronomy.

Had an exceptional dining experience at a hidden gem nestled in a hotel lobby in Barcelona. Despite the odd dining location (in the lobby bar area), the outstanding service and overall experience exceeded expectations. The tasting menu, featuring 20 meticulously crafted courses, left me in awe as each dish was explained in intricate detail and all very tasty (none was a miss!!!). The paired wines added another layer to the culinary journey, making it a delightful and educational experience. Awarded a well-deserved 1 Michelin star. Reflecting on this gastronomic adventure, I can confidently say that it stands as one of the best fine dining experiences I’ve had. Should my travels bring me back to Barcelona, revisiting this culinary haven would be a top priority—an unmistakable testament to its allure and the indelible mark it left on my palate and overall dining repertoire. 👩‍🍳🤤🇪🇸

Exceptional dining experience and team. The attention to detail was above and beyond in every aspect of our meal. Thank you for your hospitality, teaching us about Catalan wines, and pushing us to try innovative food with an emphasis on eliminating waste. 10/10 recommend, look forward to coming back to the new location in the future!

An exceptional dining experience sampling a sequence of outstanding small dishes made of local and exotic ingredients but grown in Catalonia and not imported paired with a selection of local wines ,every dish is explained by the chef preparing this in front of you. .culinary creativity and techniques paired with sublime aesthetics was applied on every single dish . An experience not to be missed while in Barcelona

What a great fine dining experience. Special focus on local Catalan food and wines. With a very special sustainability approach which we liked a lot! Special thanks to Marc for translating and explaining all to us in English. We really enjoyed our Catalan fine dining experience at AÜRT!!!!

Aürt was my first ever Michelin star, 20 course restaurant experience - I wish I could give them ten stars! There was so much variety in the dishes and the flavors were explosive. Service was also perfectly paced and everyone was so kind and welcoming. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys amazing food experiences!

This restaurant is siuated within the Hilton hotel, it is a nicely decorated restaurant however, the adjacent bar area initially was a little distracting in the first instance. However as soon as I was seated and the chefs began their culinary performance, my surroundings faded away, and I was immersed by the theatrics. The restaurant features approximately five distinct stations, each manned by skilled personal chefs dedicated to preparing your meal. This orchestrated experience is heavily centered around the theatrics of the culinary process, complemented by the opportunity to indulge in multiple courses from the taster menu. The menu showcased a variety of small, meticulously crafted dishes. Despite their size, these offerings collectively satisfied the palate, leaving me content by the meal's conclusion. Enhancing the experience, we opted for wine pairings, which further elevated our enjoyment of the evening. Undoubtedly, the Aurt restaurant provided an exceptional and enjoyable encounter in the vibrant city of Barcelona.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at AÜRT in Barcelona, and the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. Disfrutar offers an upscale dining experience with a focus on experimental tasting menus that showcase Mediterranean seafood. The restaurant, which means 'Enjoy' in English, is known for its avant-garde $315 tasting menu created by chefs who were once part of Ferran Adria's team at elBulli. Dishes like onion soup reinvented as onion bread with Comte cheese and coconut squid meatballs with a hint of curry reflect the Bulli-esque wizardry.
Overall nice, but not perfect to me. The technique and innovation perspective is no doubt, but felt a bit boring after the same ingredient and technique is used over and over again. Only one staff per table so not that nice for a bigger group like us (5). As group of 5 we didn't have the open kitchen table, which was fine but worth noting. Wine pairing was great. Nice price compare to Michelin 3 star restaurant in my city. But probably won't come again.

I went to this restaurant in 2019. My experience was very good! My friends and I order the disfrutar classic menu. It was plenty of food, I believe 10 or 12 options, all of them very unique and different. I liked a lot. However, my friends considered that the menu has to be less food and the didn’t like the tables. Despite that comments, I consider that this restaurant deserves the Michelin Star!

It took us 2 years to get a reservation at this restaurant so we were definitely looking forward to the experience. I am happy to say that the experience met our high expectations. While the decor itself is somewhat minimalistic it was a treat to see the different work spaces/kitchens and get an explanation for each. The service was well coordinated and the staff had great attention to detail. Each of the 28 courses was creative and beautifully presented. We were very happy with the diversity of flavors and textures. Hopefully we will be able to get a reservation to return next year to try a different menu.

We did the special Live table experience and it was amazing. The service could've been better though, no one really smiled or engaged with us much apart from the dish explanation, and the guy that was explaining the dishes had pretty bad pronunciation and we couldn't understand most of what he said the dishes had. It's one of those situations when they're not speaking for you to hear what they're saying, they just wanted to say it. The live table experience's appeal is that you have a private room with the chefs and waiters and the finale experience with the desers is from another world, really well done!

Disappointing. Had very high expectations but unfortunately the food didn't deliver. We choose the old menu, I'm not sure if it's still there to that day.. Except 2 dishes that were excellent, the Yolk and the Bun with the caviar that was one of the best bites i had in my life, the rest was nothing special. You feel so full half way down and it's just too much food they have to reduce the number of courses. The atmosphere is Cosy and very nice. The level of service is Top notch can't get better than that.

Seems to be one of those places where you don't want to meet your hero again. We had an extraordinary time due the first visit, but for this second tour we tried the 'new menu' as opposed to the classic and felt this story fell apart. We started with Disfrutar style dishes then halfway through with the Panchino the oil temperature wasn't quite enough for the outer surface of the bun so it was slightly greasy. The banana flavour from the Feijoa was too potent, lacking harmony. From here onwards, other then the golden egg dish which is their take on a Singaporean curry crab dish, there weren't any more surprises. For drinks, it was too humid for me to have wine so I ordered a mocktails and the Citrus option was very refreshing to have with the meal, acting like a pallet cleanser along the way. On service, I was disappointed they set on to our table the coulant and ice cream dish for my partner when the ice cream was partially melted and almost slid off the plate as the waiter set the plate down. Another personal experience I had was an annoying fly that I kept buzzing my table and I kept swatting during the later half of the meal. Not sure if the staff could have done something about that, otherwise the dishes arrived at a good pace never feeling rushed or too delayed.
Morphia32 — Google review
28-course lunch, and most of the courses were fun and delicious. It took 5 hours for our group to finish, which sounds comically long, but I was never bored and found the portion ultimately perfect. Most service was excellent, but service for the wine pairing was infuriatingly frustrating. There wasn't a single course where the sommelier told us how many courses the wine paired with, so for most of the wines, we would either finish the wine before some of its intended pairings came out, or still had not tried it when it was time to move on to the next wine. I asked the somm many times but he never told us up-front. One time I asked him and he walked away and shouted an answer with his back to me. Another time I got out of my seat to find him because he didn't answer when I'd asked; another staff member asked if I needed help, so I let him know the question, and he gave me the wrong answer. Per person costs: lunch 315 euros, wine pairing 170 euros, water was 4.10 euros per bottle, and a 10% charge was added to everything.

A reservation worth the 1 year wait! Food here is clearly exceptional. Ordered their classics menu and was surprised by how connected the food was to the Spanish culture. Reimagined tapas dishes like Gilda turned into a cheese sandwich is unlike anything you’ll find around the world. Also the caviar bun could be a bite I remember forever. Textures and flavors are innovative yet familiar. Huge thanks to Rodrigo, Vicente, Vignette and Patricia for the wonderful service. Will most definitely try to return for their other menus.

Gravin - Restaurant Italià is a trendy, retro-style trattoria in Barcelona that offers Italian cuisine with a Catalan twist. The restaurant's staff hails from Puglia, bringing an authentic touch to the dining experience. One of their signature dishes is the orecchiette made with clams, arugula, and tomato.
What a great spot! My wife and I had walked past this place several times but for some reason never tried it out, and we are so glad we finally did. The interior space is super cosy (although I think there is also a larger room for bigger parties), the people are very nice and the owner is very attentive, and the food is great. They have a very good menu of Italian tapas and mains. We had the tuna tartare, panzerotti baresi with mozzarella and tomato ("kind of" like an empanada), and the spicy marinated organic chicken with grilled vegetables. Everything was delicious and we will definitely return. Go!

The place was exactly what we were looking for, cozy, friendly authentic italian place, with decent portions, and really nice pastas. Only giving 4 stars, because they wrote the price of one our dish wrong on the final bill, which should not happen in my opinion in a 5star restaurant. Some of the best Italian food outside of Italy. Very fresh ingredients. Generous portion of fresh pasta with the most incredible sauces. We tried the sicilian pistachio pesto & the bolognese and both were exceptionla. The staff have a lot of love and passion for what they make, taking the time to talk you through the menu - and are eager to offer takeaway boxes to anyone who hasn't finished their plate. The lemon limoncello shots with the bill were a lovely added touch!

When you are visiting from out of town and hoping to find the perfect restaurant that isn't for tourists, has friendly staff, excellent food, and reasonable prices BelleBuon is what you should be lucky to find. They helpfully explained the menu when we sat down (they speak English) and showed us the page with all their homemade pastas. Also the lasagnas looked great but they said the portion size was large enough for 2 people and we each wanted to order our own. I had the vegetable pasta with marinara and my wife had the beef and bacon ravioli. Both were wonderful and about 15 euros each. The wine we ordered was delicious and make sure you order the bread basket. It might be the best bread I've ever had. Crispy outside, soft inside and warm and fresh out of their oven. We were too full for dessert but they still gave us a complimentary glass of lemon liquor! All of the staff were classy, prompt, humble but proud of their food and restaurant, and generous in their appreciation of their customers. Make sure you get a reservation ahead of time. It is popular and busy.

Murivecchi is a charming trattoria nestled in the Gothic Born area of Barcelona, just behind Parc Ciutadella. Since its establishment in 2004, this Italian restaurant has been a pioneer in serving up delectable Southern Italian cuisine, including mouthwatering brick-oven pizzas and hearty pasta dishes. The restaurant is known for maintaining high standards, particularly with their authentic Neapolitan pizza and reliable antipasti like the 'parmigiana di melanzane'.
We had two fantastic waiters, Alex and Max, who were incredibly attentive and very helpful with any questions we had about the menu. Food was delicious, I had a pizza which was great but I will definitely be back to try the pasta as other guests food looked amazing! Would highly recommend getting one of the starters which is like a pizza puff type thing, stuffed with mozzarella and mortadella, star of the show and it was amazing. Definitely worth trying this place out!

Very good food with tasty pizza but the pasta is the winning horse it was simply divine. The staff however but a real damper on the mood being incredibly rude. For example removing plates when it is clear both the person eating isn’t finished and neither was the rest of the party. Furthermore it was clear the staff just wanted to boot everyone out as soon as possible to get room for other guests, which sure they want to make money but 30 minute’s is kinda quick. Finally what felt worst was when we where trying to order and they constantly stooped stopped listening and began talking with another member of staff(it wasn’t even about something jobb related they were discussing football) the atmosphere was still nice however and i would still recommend the restaurant for its food even if the staff sucked

I had dinner at the restaurant yesterday and truly enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and delicious food. However, I noticed a small detail that could enhance the overall experience. Typically, restaurants offer bread accompanied by olive oil and vinegar upon seating. In this case, only bread was served, and I had to request both the olive oil and vinegar separately. While minor, such details do make a difference and I hope they will consider this for future guests.

If you would like some real Italian food this is the place to be in Barcelona! I recommend the Pasta Carbonara! It was really rich in flavor. But if you go for dessert the tiramisu is the dessert to get. I would re-visit the restaurant just for the tiramisu. The service was also very good! Altough sometimes the waiters were a bit to quick. Already collecting plates while I was still eating my last bite. If I would have to describe the atmosphere, it was very welcoming and warm, you could hear that it was very busy, but even then it was a very pleasant place to be. Overall a 4.7 out of 5!

Honestly very bad pizza. Not sure about other plates, I only bought a margherita to go but the quality was extremely low. Not only were the ingredients not good, they were also not placed properly on the pizza, as you can see half of the pizza was missing cheese and a decent amount of tomato sauce. The place and people working there are nice though.
Silvia M — Google review
My partner and I ordered the focaccia, tagliatelle con salciccia napoletana, and pappardelle con ragú. The focaccia was in fact pizza crust and not real focaccia — would recommend changing the name of this dish as it is misleading. The tagliatelle was very good and would recommend, however, the pappardelle was not the greatest. The tiramisu was fantastic and the ambiance was perfect.

I had a good experience and I’ll probably go again to try some other stuff. We ate the menu of the day which was pretty filling and the price was adequate for it. I ate the 4 cheese risotto and the sea bass and vegetables, both were delicious and so was the bread they gave us additionally. My friend had the pizza for seconds, which was bigger than we could’ve imagine for a “menu of the day”. The dessert was a bit of a downside but I guess it all depends on the day. Other than that the stuff seems rushed and the ambience isn’t great but it isn’t the worse either.

Bar La Plata is a charming tapas bar located in the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona. Since its establishment in 1945, this intimate spot has maintained its traditional ambiance and menu, featuring only four classic tapas: vinegar-cured sardines, fried anchovies, tomato salad, and butifarra sausage. The rustic wine served straight from the barrel perfectly complements these delectable dishes.
Cozy tapas spot specializing in 4 dishes. The fried small fish with a plate of onions and tomato’s were a great combo. Their house made vermouth was delicious. Had sweetness and flavor unique to this place. Highly recommend stopping by and trying the various plates.

No frills tapas spot that’s perfect for a quick lunch and a favourite of Anthony Bourdain. Seemingly loved by locals and tourists alike, they offer a short menu of simple specialties that are certain to hit the spot. I had the fried anchovies and tomato bread topped with sausage. The service was excellent and straight to the point. Seating is limited so some choose to stand and eat at the bar. A must visit for anyone traveling to Barcelona.

A tiny but very cosy and authentic place not far from the shore. The place is buzzing with locals having beer or local wine. There are only 4 tapas available (fried anchovies, toast with anchovy, toast with sausage, tomato & onion salad) but all four very tasty, especially the fried anchovies. I highly recommend!

It's a great place. It's a very small and cozy place. Sometimes you have to eat standing up, but it's worth it. The tapas are delicious and very cheap, but the portions are very small. Suppose to be Anthony Bourdain’s favorite place to visit in Barcelona. The atmosphere is great and the restaurant is overall nice. The first guy that took our order was attentive and serviceminded, giving us some good advise regarding which wine to choose. However the guy that then served us and stood in the bar at the outside patio seemed like he didn’t want to be there or something. The food was really good but not amazing. Unfortunately this was our last day in Barcelona for this trip so we didn’t get to try some of the other steakhouses to compare. If I should give one tip to others it would be don’t get the fries. They may seem nice on the picture but they were NOT crispy at all. Overall we were happy and full.

My recent visit to Solomillo in Barcelona was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. This restaurant truly stands out, offering not just exceptional food but also impeccable service that makes you feel truly valued. The star of the show, of course, was the food. Each dish was prepared with precision and passion, showcasing the finest ingredients. The flavors were exquisite. A highlight is their unique approach to meat, allowing you to customize your experience by choosing the breed, weight, cooking point, and cooking method, complemented by your choice of sauce or garnish. What truly elevated our evening was the outstanding service, particularly from our waiter, Anna. She was incredibly attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely friendly. Anna's recommendations were spot-on. Her professionalism and kindness are a true asset to Solomillo. I highly recommend Solomillo to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience in Barcelona. Whether you're a local or a visitor, you're in for a treat. Thank you, Solomillo, and especially Anna, for a truly great evening!

This place is absolutely an upscale and nice restaurant with the quality of food, drinks, behavior off staff and the ambiance. You can find many different types of meat, different breeds and cuts. Everyone speaks very good English yet alone our host Ana was a very nice lady explaining everything in detail and giving to-the-point recommendations. We were very happy with her professional and spotless service. We tried 4 different types of meat each 125gr portions and then decided to order another 250gr of Rubia Gallega (some people may not find it compelling because of its intense flavor but I loved as a carnivore trying different meats all over the world) We did not fall in love with the red wine we tried but it was a totally different brand and grape we just would like to try so that's totally OK. Prices are not cheap but I think it totally worth it.

A carnivore’s dream. The staff was very helpful and actually kept us from ordering way too much food. Every bite was delicious. We had the A5 wagyu and it was delicious, very well priced. The steak tartar was also a great addition. The whole meal was top notch. The restaurant was not crowded and we basically had a server at our side for the entire meal.

Visited on a weekday at 8pm and the restaurant was quite empty with only one other table. 2 more tables got seated before we left Service was very, very professional and good! The appetizers and sides were all excellent and well executed It was also great being able to sample different cuts since you can order small portions of 4oz. We tried the Frisian, Rubia Gallega and Buey. The R. Gallega and Buey had very, very intense flavour, almost game-like. Personally I did not enjoy it as I don't enjoy gamey meats like deer or venison. However, you might enjoy it. The Frisian was my favourite as it was not gamey and more like the steaks I usually like. Toilets are clean and well equipped Overall a very enjoyable dinner experience

Parking Pizza is not your typical pizza place. It's a unique concept where the restaurant is located inside a parking lot, giving it an unconventional and distinctive vibe. With three locations in Barcelona, each one maintains the classic design of a parking space but transforms it into a spacious dining area. The pizzas offered are delicious and reasonably priced, making it an attractive option for pizza lovers.

Great napoletan pizza but why so expensive? Parking pizza is indeed a great place to have nice pizza - each location never disappoints. But… - the staff was not really happy to accommodate a group of six for no reason. And even though we were seated, staff was using every single opportunity to make us feel quite uncomfortable as a group - >15€ for pizza in Barcelona? Although really tasty, the price is absolutely ridiculous and it keeps climbing since months

Best pizza we’ve had in Barcelona! The atmosphere is young and loud, but in the best way! Everyone is clearly enjoying themselves and the amazing food. The staff are friendly!

Located just behind my B&B, this pizzeria caught my eye with its bustling crowd and mouthwatering pizzas. Intrigued, my friend and I decided to give it a try the following evening. Our expectations were met with delicious, perfectly cooked pizza. The dough was exceptional, and the tiramisu was devoured in minutes. The friendly staff added to the enjoyable experience.

I tried two pizzas, the number 4 (stracciatella) and the number 7 (pesto and tomato). Both were delicious, but the number 4 was definitely the standout. I’d happily go back to try more options.

Restaurant
Cocina Hermanos Torres is a renowned restaurant in Barcelona, founded by twin chefs Javier and Sergio Torres. The establishment offers an interactive dining experience with a large open kitchen where guests can collaborate with the chefs to create personalized tasting menus. The pastry chef, Rafa Delgado, showcases a contemporary cuisine inspired by traditional flavors and memories. The restaurant's inclusive atmosphere and focus on personal connections make it one of the most intimate Michelin restaurants in Barcelona.
Exquisite in every way. The food was sublime. The service was top of class. The atmosphere was unmatched. It’s impossible to describe the experience without writing a NYT-style foodie review…so you’ll have to settle for this inadequate paragraph of praise for the Torres twins and their 3-Michelin starred restaurant. Nothing was disappointing or average or even good. While this is a perfect place to bring a loved one for a special occasion, if you have demanding clients to impress, this may be your golden ticket. Not inexpensive by any means, but a once-in-a-lifetime experience you’ll remember for a very long time.

Very amazing restaurant. It’s impressive that the chef greeted us in person. A huge kitchen in the center. You can watch how they are prepare the food while eating. The food is creative and well presentation. Highly recommend this Michelin 3 star restaurant. It could be the best in the world.

Exceptional service and food. Opted for the wine pairing and was amazed at several selections. Recommend the 30 year tawny port, truly a standout. Hard to pick best bite, but the langostine and lamb were truly sensational. Best starred restaurant we have been to--total experience was truly top notch, 3 stars deserved.

An unforgettable dining experience. The seating, arranged like an amphitheater, gives you a perfect view of the team at work — and what they do truly feels like art. Every movement is precise, fluid, almost like watching a perfectly choreographed dance. Beyond the food (which is exceptional), it’s the rhythm, focus, and grace of the team that make this place truly special. A must-visit for anyone who loves food as performance. ✨

The staff and service were amazing. They treated me with courtesy and I enjoyed the ingenuity and creativity of every dish. The artistic detail, textures, and overall evolution of progression of the courses were a delight. My photos are candid and don’t enough justice to the beauty of each dish.

Among the very best restaurants in all of Spain, and one of our most favorite dining experiences worldwide. Wide ranging, well balanced, adventurous flavors which are overall near-perfectly balanced in every single plate. Excited for our next visit!

This is what a true 3 star experience should feel like: special, creative, professional, memorable and efficient. These chefs and staff delivered on everything and I feel lucky to have had the experience. The food was executed with such precision and balance. Every component and combination felt right and worked together. A seafood heavy menu featured so many highlights like the mackerel, crab, langoustine. But my fav bite was a surprise: an aged eggplant in a roasted veggie broth. That broth was unbelievable, umami and depth of flavor was crazy in something so understated. Service was as expected, professional. There when you need them and standing by when you don’t. One of the chefs came over before the meal started to say hello and welcome us. The other personally delivered one of our courses later which was a nice touch. The vibe and atmosphere was sophisticated but not stuffy. The open concept center kitchen creates transparency and connection between kitchen and customer. Also makes you feel like you’re watching a show which you are, one that you are a participant in. Aesthetics were elegant and beautiful. Verdict: would return and recommend!!

(Visited in 2024) Food and wine: most dishes we had on that night were executed well and beautifully presented. It was a really good looking meal, very photogenic, but flavor wise there was nothing memorable that would make us come back again, though. They served stingray for us which was an interesting take but its urea smell was apparent. Their wine selection, on the other hand, was almost impeccable. We asked for recommendations after giving our preferences and what we got did not disappoint at all. Food sanitary: questionable. They used red suede jewelry boxes to serve desserts, I asked the servers if they reuse the boxes, they said yes they use the same boxes every day but didn’t explain how they sanitize or clean them. The box cannot go into dishwasher or typical washing machine. Its material won’t even stand washing by water, actually. My only guess is they don’t clean them at all. Service: definitely great service you could expect from fancy restaurants. They always have at least two servers to serve every course, which I’m not against but seems to be overkill. I do wish their servers could speak better English though. There were a lot of things that they couldn’t explain to us due to the language barrier. Ambience: instead of the main dining area, they seated us in a separate room that looks like a cafe / resting area used by their employees. There was fridge inside and even a microwave on the table. The pro is the it had bright lights and taking photos were easy. The obvious con, however, is it gave us an atmosphere of having a meal in the middle of work. It felt stressful and uncomfortable, not the kind of ambience you’d expect when dining out. I don’t know why they wouldn’t seat us in the main dining hall - we were the only table that got seated in their employee room on that night. I also saw the most pretentious thing there - they make every employee wear red sneakers with 3 Michelin stars on them. Like it’s their best accomplishment, ever. Such an eyesore. It’s a Michelin 3 star rated restaurant, and I rated my experience based on that standard. Unfortunately it was subpar in many ways.

Catalonian restaurant
Fine dining restaurant
Alkimia is a chic restaurant located in the former Moritz Brewery, offering contemporary Catalan cuisine by chef Jordi Vila. The space is divided into distinct areas, including Al Kostat for casual dining and private dining rooms called Davant. The interior design has won awards and features an aquatic theme. Chef Vila's innovative approach to Catalan cuisine takes diners on a journey from tradition to radical contemporary innovations.
Amazing tasting menu and wine pairing. I would highly recommend the wine pairing unless you are opening some interesting bottles. They really did excel with their pairing. We experienced a great service. The atmosphere is laid back for such a fancy restaurant. Worth to take a sneak peak at their private dinning room, its beautiful.

We had a reservation, but it didn’t seem properly confirmed. It might have been partly our fault, but since they said they could serve us, we went in. After being seated, we waited 20–30 minutes without even getting menus, while guests who came in later were already enjoying wine and receiving theirs. If they didn’t have enough staff, it would’ve been better to just say so instead of letting us in. Most staff were trying to be nice, but one of them never made eye contact and felt dismissive, which was unpleasant. Service training seems necessary. The food was okay, though a few dishes were a bit fishy.

I recently visited this 1-star restaurant and unfortunately experienced several service issues that detracted from the overall dining experience. To start, our order was incomplete, with one of our dishes and the bread service forgotten. Additionally, the staff failed to return my bag to me when we finished our meal, requiring us to go back to the restaurant to retrieve it. This was an incredibly frustrating and disorganized experience. While the food itself was fine, the lack of typical 1-star niceties like an amuse bouche or petit fours was noticeable. The serving staff also seemed disinterested in providing information about the menu items. Overall, the service problems were the main issue here. I would encourage the restaurant to focus on improving order accuracy, attentiveness of staff, and ensuring a seamless experience for customers. With some refinements, this establishment could potentially provide a more enjoyable dining visit in the future

Possibly the best meal experience of my life. Staff were amaaaazing, food was delicious and the restaurant is gorgeous.
Bruno A — Google review
We were excited to eat here, although staff at our hotel had expressed admiration and surprise when we told him we had a reservation here. The amuse and snack course were delightful. But honestly the rest of the menu was too Catalan for my taste. The sea cucumber and pigs ear terrine, ugh no thank you. Over the course of this trip alone I had much better, more palatable versions of this duo. The zucchini flower was nice as well as the pork main, but nothing mind blowing. Desserts were nice too. The only service failing was the introduction of the wine pairing late, and only after we asked about it. But that seemed to happen at several of the starred restaurants we visited on the trip. Vibe and ambiance were lovely, aside from silly looking outfits for the female staff. Overall, we left bummed that we didn't like it more. Everyone else in the restaurant were Catalan, and seemed happy, so perhaps this is a matter of nostalgia and acquired taste we just didn't share.
Stephanie B — Google review
It was a wonderful dish that combined respect for Catalan cuisine with their own unique creativity. The service was very kind and made me feel comfortable. The seafood was excellent, but the only disappointment was that the main dish had been changed from Iberian pork to duck breast.

A wonderful and very delicious degustation menu experience, with a wonderful progression of flavours, outstanding matching wines, and flawless service. The entrance is quite dramatic with a fabulous jelly fish light installation inside the stairwell as you walk up to the restaurant, which foreshadows the unique experience that awaits.

An absolute must! The restaurant is actually on the 1st floor of an apartment building, so it feels like you are going to visit friends. The atmosphere is great and very cosy. The food is great! One of the dishes was named "Taste of the sea" and it really tasted like the sea - the breeze, the salt, the fish...absolutely amazing! Good wine selection and a very enjoyable evening. Will be coming again...and again...and again...Thank you for a fantastic time!

Incredible tasting menu experience of unique flavors. An absolute must-go if you’re in Barcelona, book in advance. Our favorite dinner in Barcelona including Michelin star experiences. Did the bigger tasting menu and everything was incredible including fish we typically wouldn’t eat. Can be hard to find off Google maps but it’s in the market.

A fantastic dining experience! We had 12 courses (cuz why not) and each one of them gave a different palate sensation. Paired with wine of your choice( I recommend the orange wine). Chef Alessandro created several dishes that were absolutely mind-blowing, especially the salad dessert and cacao dessert. During the evening, he was very engaging and made the experience fun and educational. We absolutely loved it. Personal favorites: jellyfish, white asparagus, pig trotter, scallop carpaccio, soup dumping! The cherry on top is the sweet wine, a perfect digestif to end the evening.

Fantastic dining experience. Cannot recommend it enough. I want to revisit. I recommend sitting by one of the six seats by the counter instead of outside. Watching the preparation of the dishes is half the fun. Highlight was the local pea dish, least favorite was the goat, but getting worldly flavors and takes on local classics served with love and enthusiasm is what it's all about. Staff was fantastic.

What an experience. A super small and absolutelly unique restaurant inside La Boquería market. Just go with the tasting menu, eveything is fantastic and you'll get surprised with a lot of the dishes! All of them have something special even when they look like something "ordinary". Mediterranean fusion cuisine with inspiration and ingredients from absolutely everywhere in the world. The staff made the experience completely fantastic, it's amazing when you see people excited over their own work. I'll definitely come back.

A Fusion Feast of Japanese Delights at Direkte! Stepping into Direkte was like embarking on a culinary adventure where Catalunya met Japan in perfect harmony. We decided to go all out and ordered the big menu, and let me tell you, it was a decision we did not regret! The summer vibes were evident in every dish, and the freshness of the ingredients was unparalleled. With a delightful abundance of fish dishes, Direkte truly captured the essence of the season. Each bite was a celebration of Japanese flavors infused with the bountiful Mediterranean catch, creating a symphony of tastes that left us craving for more. But it wasn't just the food that impressed us; the wine recommendations were exquisite! We decided to try both orange wines and white wines to complement our meal. The server's knowledge of the wines and their ability to pair them perfectly with the dishes was commendable. It added a delightful touch to the overall dining experience, elevating our enjoyment to new heights. Speaking of the service, I can't help but give it a resounding ten out of ten! The staff at Direkte were attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. They guided us through the different courses, explaining each dish with passion and making sure our dining journey was nothing short of extraordinary. The chefs at Direkte truly showcased their talent by combining these two diverse cuisines with such finesse, creating a unique and unforgettable gastronomic experience. One thing that I would change was the first dessert, it was tasty but I prefer something else than lettuce for that kind of step.

Galú Italian Restaurant is a stylish and charming Sicilian eatery located in Barcelona, offering a modern fusion of Italian tradition. The diverse menu reflects the chef's creativity and passion for innovation while staying true to the essence of Sicilian cuisine. Guests have raved about the delicious handmade pasta, thoughtful dishes, and friendly service. The restaurant provides a unique dining experience with impeccable service and an array of reimagined pasta, seafood, meat, and vegetarian options.
I can’t believe Galú has been two blocks from our apartment this entire time! The food was amazing and Galú has now become one of our favorite Italian restaurants in all of Barcelona, and we’ve been to plenty. For starters the eggplant ratatouille and the artichokes were delicioso and we will definitely order those on our next visit. As for main courses, we got two pastas and a risotto to share among 4 people and it turned out to be the perfect amount with only a little left over to take home. I can’t remember what the Pasta of the day was called but it had a red sauce and chunks of pork and it was our favorite out of the three main dishes. But don’t get me wrong, the risotto was perfectly cooked and delicious. It was unique too as it was made with red beats which then turned the risotto pink so it was also beautiful. The final pasta dish was the tagliatelle with a white sauce made with black truffles and it too was delicious but very rich so I recommend sharing this dish. Don’t get me wrong though, it too was amazing! Last but not least was the bread, which was a sour dough style that they ferment for 48 hours before baking and it didn’t require any butter or sauce to make it amazing. Based on the 5 dishes we had and the amazing and attentive staff, I can confidently say the rest of the menu will also be fantastic and we will surely be back to try some additional items soon!

Good, But Not Exceptional The food was tasty, though not remarkable, and some dishes felt overpriced (€22 for four lamb rack pieces…). Friendly service with good recommendations, but the 10% tip suggestion on the bill was awkward—unusual for Barcelona. Value for money: 7/10.

From start to end, enjoyed my meal here. I was dining solo - and they were able to accommodate me at a “shared” table. The ambiance, music, and on a hot day the perfectly air conditioned space was rejuvenating. As for the food - Delicious! The focaccia bread was perfectly prepared from the texture and lightness, to the hint of rosemary and sea salt. The pizza was also perfectly balanced and appreciated the little crunch the pine nuts gave in a bite. I’m walking away happy and a bit uncomfortably full, to be honest.

Loved the experience here, they really take care of you with excellent service that’s warm as well as very helpful. The wine of the day was a Chardonnay that I loved and we got a red that was suggested by the staff and was great as well. I got the celery cream pizza and it was very good. My girlfriend got the margherita which was excellent as well. The meat platter had a good mix of the familiar and new and we loved it. It came with a side of focaccia. Finished off with a very good tiramisu. Will be back to try more of their interesting pizza choices!

We started with the stratchiatella and the focaccia! Both were very good! Then we got a few pizzas, plain, the pepper one, and spicy chorizo! They were all very good! The pepper one was super interesting and pretty good! Chorizo and plain were both great i would say 7.8 on the portnoy scale. Crust was a perfect 10 but sauce and cheese were a bit basic. Next time would get the strachiatella on it. For dessert we got tiramisu and hot cheesecake. The cheesecake was interesting. It wasnt sweet it tasted more like asiago and actual cheese than a cake. The tiramisu was great!

Visited on a Monday night right before open without a reservation. If you are set on having this pizza, definitely do what you can to secure a reservation as the walk in system right at open was a bit hectic. I’ve had my fair share of pizzas from a wide range of spots so I entered here with high expectations based on the awards. I’m also generally skeptical of “best of” awards. Let me tell you, Sartoria Panatieri deserves what they’ve accomplished. This wood fired, Neopolitan style pizza is outstanding. We started with the rosemary focaccia which was so fresh and soft with a nice subtle taste. The two pizzas ordered were the classic Margherita (tomato, basil, and mozzarella) and the spicy chorizo. I loved both. A classic cheese pizza is my baseline to assess a new spot but the spicy chorizo meat itself was spectacular with such good flavor. Lastly, I had read just a few reviews critiquing the service. These pizzas are cooked in wood fired ovens with limited capacity. What I noticed was a strategic operation of when pizza orders are taken, placed, and delivered, based on seating time. For a party of 2, our time was about 75 minutes, I think this is perfectly reasonable. Don’t hesitate coming here for when you desire something other than tapas.
Robert M — Google review
Walked in as a party of two on a gloomy Tuesday afternoon for lunch last week. My brother and I walked in around 2:15 pm. We were not acknowledged by the host for about 5 minutes. Finally she approached us and asked if we had a reservation, we did not. Given the fact the place was only half full and only open until 3:30 pm, I figured we would be able to get a table, which we did, but under the host’s conditions of having a hour limit at our table and having to sit at a communal table. These conditions were odd because there were many open tables and they closed in a hour and 15 minutes, yet she felt the need to tell me we could only be there for a hour. There wasn’t a communal table active until we were seated. Not a big deal, we sat down. Shortly after we are seated, two other Arab men were seated at our communal table. It was a 4 top table they made into a 6 top by putting chairs at the ends of the table. This wasn’t an issue for me initially. I ordered the olives, the tomato salad, the charcuterie board and two pizzas. I noticed the two guys sitting at our table were adamant about not having meat, I was assuming they are North African and were avoiding pork, yet our charcuterie board, filled with pork was placed in front of them instead of us, when I corrected the runner and it was placed on our half of the table, I then saw we literally had no room for the two pizzas we had coming. Keep in mind, all of the surrounding tables around us were empty. It felt like they just put all the Arab men at one table, I felt like I was Black in Jim Crow times for a moment. Frustrated by their mistake, the lack of room we had, and the fact we were surrounded by empty tables, I flagged down my server and asked if we could move to our own table. He left for 5 minutes to go speak with the manager, only to come back to say they have some reservations coming in but he can ask his manager, which is what I thought he did already. He then comes back with the manager and says they were able to move us to our own table. I said great, let’s do it, but then the manager came and got in my face and told me that they are always busy and that I need a reservation to get a table usually. I tried to explain to him he was not being hospitable, but he seemed he only wanted to start a scene in the middle of the dining room, so I just said ok dude whatever and went to my new table. At this point, I feel like I was discriminated against and felt like I had to shrug off a fight. Keep in mind, I own two James Beard nominated restaurants and have worked in hospitality my whole life, I always go out of my way to get people seated and feel comfortable. The host and manager here do not get hospitality. Maybe the accolades this establishment has received makes them feel like they can treat guests rudely. Keep in mind they had about 20 people working to tops 30 people in the dining room and we did not see one smile. On to the food…… I did not care for the olives at all, which is actually so hard to mess up, I love olives. They tasted fishy which threw me off and the bowl had an equal amount of caper berries to olives, which was also odd. The tomato salad was boring and the tomatoes themselves lacked color and were not ripe. The charcuterie sampler was good, I particularly liked the head cheese with the focaccia it came with. The focaccia was tasty but a little chewy and doughy. Then we got the spicy chorizo pizza and the seasonal padron pepper pizza. The chorizo pizza was fine, and the padron pizza was just a straight miss. The padron cream they puréed had no business being the base sauce for a pizza and overall it was bland, the sausage on the pizza was the only thing that was seasoned, even the cheese was somehow bland. Most of the staff here either looks lackadaisical, entitled or just miserable. To the staff who act entitled and pretentious, remember, aside from the irrelevant awards your work place has received, at the end of the day you work at a place they serves flat breads, don’t take yourself so seriously, instead embrace hospitality instead.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Barcelona, The Green Spot is a culinary gem that caters to both vegetarians and meat lovers alike. This unique eatery offers a delightful escape from the typical fare, especially after indulging in too many fried delights around town. With a menu that features comforting dishes like crispy fried cauliflower drizzled with mint and tamarind sauce, as well as indulgent four-cheese pizza topped with zucchini flowers, there's something for everyone.
The food was so phenomenal, it even surpised my non-vegetarian friends. The menu is a bit of a hodgepodge and mixes several different cuisines but all the dishes we had were good to amazing. My personal highlight was the Black Vegan Pizza, which re-defined my expectations for vegan pizzas. The interior was also just so beautiful and sleek.

I was very excited on the way here, as on paper the menu looks very interesting. However, when the food came it was generally overly salty. The sweet potato “tagliatelle” felt more like a salad than a pasta dish because the shredded sweet potato is not as calorie rich as real pasta. The gluten free, vegan pizza was better, but along with the rice noodle wok dish rather salty. Chocolate cake was a bit soft and very sweet, the pistachio ice cream that comes with it was good. It was interesting to try but I wouldn’t come back. Service was excellent, and the venue is very nicely done, hence still 4* overall.

Spanish restaurant
Suculent is a unique dining spot in the El Raval area that offers a blend of Spanish meat and fish dishes with a creative twist. The restaurant features two distinct experiences - La Taberna del Suculent, where guests can enjoy expertly prepared tapas at the bar counter, and a sit-down restaurant serving traditional, high-quality dishes. Known for its offal recipes elevated to exquisite culinary creations, Suculent is a haven for meat enthusiasts.
For my final night in Barcelona I booked the classics tasting menu at this restaurant several weeks ago. The classics tasting menu consists of 7 savory and 2 dessert dishes however there’s another menu with 13 dishes which may be ordered if a) you’re starving b) want to enjoy more of this restaurants culinary prowess. My meal actually got off to a poor start as I’m not a fan of anchovies, however the meal continued to go from strength to strength thereafter. The duck croquettes, the prawn ceviche, the maitaki mushrooms, the steak tartare over bone marrow, the stingray on mash and the lamb neck dishes were perfectly executed, delicious and thoroughly enjoyable. These savory dishes were then followed by 2 beautiful desserts: strawberries stuffed with white chocolate and a perfectly balanced Brie cheesecake with vanilla. The fact that this entire menu - at this level of cooking - costs €70 is incredible value for money. Service was excellent and our waiter was genuinely attentive to our culinary needs & always ready with excellent recommendations when needed. The atmosphere is quite rustic, cozy & intimate yet refined without being pretentious. Suculent offers a masterful take on traditional Spanish and Catalan cuisine with a modern edge. IMO it’s a must visit for anyone serious about food. PS. Also nice of them to remember my birthday🎂

Classic menu was really great with a diverse range of flavours. It was a LOT of food surprisingly and each dish gave something different. Their booking system is fairly chaotic which they should definitely clean up. Also maybe value for money could have been better but overall, a worthy experience.

Best meal we have had in a while. Lovely service! We went for classic with pairing, and it’s excellent. The prawn dish and strawberry dessert went extremely well with the wine. If you’re visiting. You have to try! Would come back for the full menu.

We had an absolutely incredible experience at Suculent. I’ve eaten at a lot of great restaurants, but this was easily one of the top dining experiences I’ve ever had. We did the tasting menu with the wine pairing, and every single dish was spot-on perfect. The pairings worked beautifully and really elevated the whole meal. What really made the night, though, was our server. I feel terrible because I can’t remember his name (it started with an A, he’s from South America and has been in Spain for 2 years), but he was phenomenal. His service was flawless and his personality added so much to the evening. He was perfectly fluent in English, but also took the time to help us practice our Spanish, which we really appreciated. He also gave us thoughtful recommendations on how to best enjoy each dish, from which cutlery to use to little tips on how to get the most out of the flavors. It made the experience feel even more personal and memorable. On top of all that, the price was very reasonable for the quality of food, wine, and service, especially when compared to North American standards, where you’d easily pay much more for something of this caliber. I’d recommend Succulent to anyone visiting Barcelona.

We were a group of 6 and celebrated our mother's retirement and wanted to chose something special. We opted for "Suculent" tasting menu and all of us were savouring each bite. Each and one of us were delighted by each dish. My favourites were cuttlefish with almond mild, beetroot with smoked eel, scallop and cava sauce. Jordy was our server and was personable, attentive and made us feel comfortable throughout the meal. The wine recommendations were spot on! We really enjoyed the rustic and relaxed atmosphere of the restaurant. It was a great experience and everyone was happy with absolutely everything. 10/10

We had an amazing dinner at Suculent, we did the traditional tasting menu with wine pairing. 10/10 would recommend and go again. The bone marrow tar tar was exceptional. All the dishes were delicious. The Stingray was our least favorite.

Came for a dinner with my partner and it was some of the best food I have had in Barcelona. We opted for "The Classics" tasting menu and were impressed by each and every dish -- especially the duck croquette, red prawn, and steak tartare. The brie and vanilla cheesecake completely blown us away and was probably the best cheesecake we've ever had. Our server Jordy was attentive and made us feel comfortable throughout the meal, and we really enjoyed the rustic and casual ambiance of the restaurant. Great experience overall and would 100% come back for the full tasting menu for our next trip!

Ordered takeout via Uber Eats, intending to take back to a nearby brewery, but decided to eat here once inside. The sandwich was to die for and the atmosphere was super fun. Highly recommended!

We went there for an hangover lunch and that was the best choice ever. Oreste and Santiago made us feel at home. The food was another level, the coppa amazing, the vitello tonnato was soooo good, and the focaccias as well were incredible. We will be back for sure and we suggest anyone who wants to try the real italian salumis. Love it!

Absolutely delicious paninis. Carefully prepared. These are not pressed, like in the US; the bread is toasted perfectly and then the sandwich is made. Service is excellent. Atmosphere is very casual. I was halfway through the Bella Ciao before remembering to take the photo 😀. We loved the Emilia Paranoica, too.

Great, Italian sandwich place, it’s small. They have a few table. The sandwiches are unbelievably good, definitely recommends to grab a sandwich to eat there or on the go ,hidden gem, friendly staff. I definitely will go back there.

I came here for lunch and the toasted sandwiches are so tasty. The ingredients are fresh and the salami that went in my sandwich was cut right in front of me. The bread had a lovely crunch on the outside due to being toasted but remained soft inside. I would highly recommend this place for lunch in their shop or on the go.
Benjamin S — Google review
The place looks amazing, it gives massive Italian vibes. Staff is very friendly, they seemed to know every single person that was entering the bodega. Panini is fresh, well balanced in term of flavours and has carefully selected ingredients. We had the mortadella and pistachio one and a special panini recommend by the staff. Tiramisu is a hit, not that sweet, creamy, perfect. Definitely worth it!

Loved everything about this place! So glad I had the opportunity to try their delicious food! Everything was perfect, the place, the food and the service. The menu is in Spanish but the waitress explained us all and made it easy to choose.

We were lucky enough ran into a pharmacy store whose owner speaks fluent English. He strongly recommended us this place if we want something really local. We did, and it was definitely one of best dinning experience we had in Barcelona. Simple menu, not fancy however very cozy settings. Pork shoulder baked with potatoes is a must try IMHO.

A stark gap between reviews and reality. The menu is extremely basic and the wine list is extremely limited and uninteresting. For foodies and wine enthusiast please avoid. Even though the staff are friendly and it’s a chill spot to get beers and cocktails.

We were a group of 14 or more who came for a birthday without a reservation, and the owners were very kind and helped us find a table that could fit all of our group. Hands down, best dinner I've had in ages! That pasta was incredible and the free shots afterwards? Chef's kiss! The vibe was super cozy too. 10/10 would recommend.

Food was excellent overall—the tartar was super well executed, as were the winter tomatoes and burrata, and the carbonara (despite arriving slightly cold, with the sauce starting to congeal). Desserts were nothing remarkable, but to be fair, we were pretty full by then. The interior is nice, the food is authentic, and the service was good and friendly, though occasionally a bit absent. Still, a solid spot with great flavors. Will be back to try more dishes.

Went here last night with some friends and the food was amazing! Def a place I’m 💯 going back to. The quality of every dish we got was 🤌🏽 and the aperol spritz was great! highly recommend.

My family came here for my birthday and I am so glad they did! We sat in the main salon and it was quiet enough for conversations but lively. Jazz musicians and singers’ posters lined the largest wall and the decor was modern with antique touches. There is a balcony with tables but it wasn’t seating at that time. The star of the evening was the food! A generous and well curated charcuterie board was amazing— and we had arancini for our antipasti. Delicious. We shared three pastas: shrimp with zucchini, pumpkin with sage, mushroom gnocchi. We had birthday cake at home so no dessert but a good selection. The co-star of the evening was the server. She was terrific and her suggestions perfect. I strongly recommend this restaurant if you want great Italian cuisine with perfect pasta and yummy charcuterie. We are already planning our next visit.

I love pumpkin ravioli with sage butter and order it whenever I see it on a menu. This was the by far the best version I’ve ever tasted. And the tomato salad too. And the negroni! I splurged and had the peach tart for dessert. Also 10/10. I ordered pappardelle and the tomato salad to go for my husband. He was ecstatic. Thank you to my waiter who was so patient with me as I attempted to speak Spanish. I look forward to the next visit. Great value and service.

The restaurant, located in Barcelona, offers a blend of Japanese tapas and Mediterranean flavors, with the owners personally involved in both the kitchen and dining room. The love and dedication of the owners are evident in every aspect of the restaurant, from its carefully crafted dishes to its cozy ambiance.
An amazing culinary experience in Barcelona during our travels! Alapar is really a ‘must try’ if you’re ever heading to Barcelona. We tried their tasting menu for dinner and it was not disappointing. A menu, well balanced between 7-9 courses with a fusion of Japanese/Spanish elements very well blended. It truly was memorable. The presentation and cutlery are all beautiful and aesthetically pleasing. All the dishes were delicious, bringing out flavours I’ve never tasted before! An art and science, Alapar did not fail to deliver. Wonderful service as well from the team, paying attention to all the customers. Would love to try it again if we are back in Barcelona.

Definitely recommend it if you want to have a real immersive dining experience to remember. Also loved that the ingredients were all locally sourced and the chef explained every dish in detail.
Chantal T — Google review
Great Japanese tasting menu. They were very innovative without losing taste of sight if you know what I mean. 5 stars because even if a couple dishes were not that great (the noodles or the shrimp heads were not remarkable), there were others that were mind blowing, and very unique. Recommend ordering the big Omakase menu (we ordered small) as it's not super filing (I usually order the small tasting menu these days).
Marc L — Google review
Delicious omakase, with 17 courses. It goes faster and lighter than you think, so if you’re a big eater, go for the larger option. The “smaller” omakase does not come with wine pairing either, as a note. Very nice wine and sake list and options. Not sure if I’d come back, but it was a nice experience.
Marina Z — Google review
The Japanese-Mediterranean fusion is executed with such precision that each bite feels like a small revelation. The tuna belly sushi with caviar was pure decadence—silky, rich, perfectly balanced with just the right pop of salt. The brioche bread topped with tuna tartare was an instant favorite: playful, indulgent, and so well composed. And the hamachi sashimi was fresh, delicate, and beautifully cut—showcasing the kind of respect for ingredients you only find in the best sushi bars. Service was warm and knowledgeable, the atmosphere intimate yet unpretentious. It’s the kind of place you want to linger, savor, and then immediately plan your next visit.
Bb — Google review
I had the privilege of dining at Alapar with my sister during my visit to Barcelona. I had a wonderful experience. We did the omakase Alapar, which had about 19 courses. I found it to be a fun experience, and I was pleased by the subtle and thoughtful ways in which they created a fusion of Japanese and Mediterranean cuisine. Our chef worked at a feverish pace, but kindly accommodated us by explaining the dishes to us in English. Because of the noise level, it was a little hard to hear everything he described about each course, but to be fair, he had to speak English to us, then switch over to Spanish for the other couple sitting with us. I was pleasantly surprised to find that a lot of the traditionally East Asian ingredients are also grown in Spain, as I understood it, about 2 hours from the Barcelona area. At one point, the chef showed us a huge wasabi plant up close, which I saw him grinding into a paste when we first sat down. The first 2 courses had tuna and squid on top of a type of bread. It had good mouthfeel and felt like it melted in my mouth. This actually worked really well. Other dishes incorporated Mediterranean flavors by including citrus juice and/or spices like paprika, which also worked well for me. Towards the end of the main courses (by that I mean before dessert), there was a nice transition from cold dishes to warm dishes. The warm dishes included an udon noodle dish that was fun to mix the egg yolk into. I also appreciated that they had non-alcoholic wine, which was nice to pair with the omakase. They even chilled it for me between refills, which was a thoughtful touch. I don't recall or know the details of how they incorporated Mediterranean flavors into the oils and sauces used in the dishes, but it was a great fusion of two types of cuisine. In my experience dining at other restaurants that do fusion, it's actually quite hard to do well. Some places don't blend the cuisines smoothly or creatively to create a new flavor experience. Alapar succeeded greatly in this aspect. Besides the high quality of flavors and fresh fish ingredients, the price point is amazing for what you get. This would cost 2-3x more in the US, where I'm from. Another thing is that the hospitality was great. We had a situation where my dining partner had indigestion resulting from a chronic medical condition, and Alapar kindly accommodated this by fulfilling our request to take home some of the omakase courses. It would totally have been their right to refuse this for quality consistency/reputation purposes, but they respected our wishes. I have to say, the creativity extended to the desserts as well. Wasabi flavor works surprisingly well in ice cream and the ice cream sando with thinly shaved figs on top was reminiscent of ice cream-filled taiyaki, which I am familiar since there is a Korean version of that dessert. I would totally go back to Alapar the next time I am in Barcelona. Shout out to our chef who graciously answered all of our questions about the food and accommodated our indigestion situation, which probably caused some disruption in his work process that was intensely fast because he was preparing for not only our omakase but also other tables. I follow Alapar on Instagram now and look forward to the new ideas for fusion that they come up with.

It’s a hidden gem! The chef was once worked in 2024 Michelins World Best 50 Fine Dining rank # 1 Disfrutar so that’s why some of the dishes we see the shadows of Disfrutar, and there’s a dish we can taste nearly the same of one of the dish from Disfrutar as well! We tried the 95 euro 20 courses and it’s worth the price! Some dishes are just like piece of art. However I think one of the reasons they still didn’t reach a star of Michelin is the services. The server didn’t serve with a heart and they couldn’t handle situation well. They expect you to pass the plate yourself, and screwed up some food when they put on the table, and there’s a plate they served have a few broken edges. And when they explained the dish they just talked and walked at the same time looks like they are in a rush. Besides that, the food itself are wonderful!

Authentic italian restaurant. When we got there, they had just open and I could see the chef making the pasta, which is something you don't see that often in Barcelona, especially not for the price we paid here (aprox 12 eur / plate). Enoteca Paco Pérez is a Mediterranean fine dining restaurant located in the luxurious Hotel Arts Barcelona. The renowned chef, Paco Pérez, known for his expertise in seafood, presents innovative and creative Mediterranean dishes that highlight high-quality local ingredients, with a focus on fish and seafood. The restaurant boasts two Michelin stars and offers a robust wine list with over 700 wines to complement the exquisite cuisine.
Although I am not a big fan of sea food, I was deeply impressed by the culinary mastery of the restaurant's gastronomical team as well as the hospitality & warmth of all the service staff. As all the seafood were cooked in innovative ways that preserve their distinctive freshness while greatly enhancing their delicacy and removing unpleasant smell, their methods to deal with pigeon and green beans also greatly pleased my tastes. I was especially surprised by the pretty gifts the team prepared for me in my hotel room, as the cooking book with the message & signatures from the team really warmed my heart and the olive oil & bottle opener also become my beloved souvenirs. Having worked at Hotel Arts, 10 years ago in Conferencing, it was a lovely experience to be back as a guest of the restaurant of the hotel and show my husband the facilities I spent a year working in. The service at Enoteca was professional, yet warm and friendly and and everything was served to us very elegantly by Ada, Lavinia and Cristina, who looked after us throughout our meal. All were very knowledgeable about what they were serving and effortlessly anticipated our needs without ever needing to be asked. I believe one of the girls even accompanied my husband outside on his smoke break purely to keep him company and ensure he had everything he needed, which we thought was very sweet. It must also be noted that the service felt very relaxed, with little in the way of the pushy upsells that are so typical of many similar establishments. Supplementary extras were mentioned once and not pushed again, the water wasn't needlessly topped up and replaced for a new bottle, the wine wasn't overpoured in the hopes another bottle was purchased. It's refreshing to visit a starred Michelin restaurant that does not give the impression of being greedy. We have dined at a multitude of Michelin 1-3 star establishments in both the UK and abroad, and this was certainly up there in one of the top 5. Bravo to some very talented chefs! Every course was beautiful - our particular favourites were the cockle tartette, the red prawn with red Thai curry sauce and the langoustine rice - phenomenal. Thank you to all involved in making our experience a memorable one. Faye Stevenson

It’s mediocre. Let’s start with the place. It’s very elegant design. Nothing super special, buts it’s quite nice. We had 2 servers(kind of - they served like 3, 4 tables at the same time). One guy “Omar”, he was a bit hard to understand and a woman, sorry I forgot her name, but she was amazing. She was very clear when speaking, in contrast to the male waiter. Service was pretty slow. It took 2 hours for lunch, for 6 courses which were 1-2 bites, except the main course which was rice. So we had to wait like 10+ mins between dishes which were a bite away. Food had its good and bad dishes. The squid dish was below average and left a bad aftertaste. Also one of the chocolates for the final meal was also very weird with a fish taste. The best things were one of the butters for the bread(its a bit laughable that that is the best thing) and the main course, but more specifically the mushroom on it. The rest of the dish was just okay. Not mind blowing. Just okay. Some other notes, cherry desert was nice, and also the first starter. After that we had something like a gazpacho, which it was definitely one of the top dishes, but it was so little that u had to scrape it from the plate from the start. This was 120 euro per person. Definitely not worth the price. Also they served coffee and water and they included that in the bill - +10 euro, which is pathetic in my opinion. Its was okay lunch, but definitely don’t recommend and will not return.

Ok, I want to start with the fact that the service and management were very accommodating and amazing. But I will say the food was absolutely disgusting. We went through six courses and each one just got worse. I have experienced many high end restaurants and this was a pure disappointment as far as the food. Again, our server, the Somalia was very knowledgeable and amazing, yet we couldn’t finish the experience because the food was so bad. I appreciate a good review, so hope this helps someone thinking about going here.

Benditto Vermutteria Italiana is a charming bar with an authentic Italian vibe, offering a variety of vermouth, spritz, and shareable dishes. It opens early on weekends and has garnered high praise for its exceptional service and delectable food made from top-quality ingredients. Visitors have raved about the diverse flavors of the small plates and the attentive staff who create a delightful dining experience. This hidden gem in Barcelona comes highly recommended for those seeking an unforgettable culinary adventure.
Came here with a group of 8, and we chose to go with small portions to share. The majority of the dishes were really delicious 🤤 You could really taste the individuality of all of the ingredients and experience the different temperatures. The dishes came in phases so it gave us time to enjoy and experience each dish. Lovely experience. The staff was friendly and attentive. For dessert I had a cannoli, not the best I had but good.

I’ve been here twice and I can’t say anything bad about this place. Food is a great mixture of fresh Italian signature ingredients and Mediterranean flavors. With their wide range of vermouths and Aperol Spritz, you will surely find your go-to drink here. Service is impeccable and staff is warmly kind. Great spot to come if you want to have great food with a lively atmosphere

Huge fan of this place!!! I have visited this place about 4 or 5 times and I finally took the time to take proper pics! Every time I’ve been there I have the best time, and it shows because I never once looked at my phone (main reason why I haven’t taken pictures before) The service is absolutely amazing, they will treat you like family! Food is absolutely gorgeous, everything is so tasty and the ingredients are of such good quality!!! Definitely in my top recommendations of Barcelona! It’s a must!!!

This place was absolutely amazing! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy yet elegant atmosphere. The food was simply outstanding—every dish was crafted with care and bursting with flavor. Make sure to order their eggs; they are perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious! The wine selection was excellent, with a variety of options to suit different tastes, and each glass complemented the meal beautifully. The staff truly made the experience even more special; they were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, always ready with great recommendations. Overall, this spot is a must-visit for anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. Whether you’re stopping by for breakfast, brunch, or dinner, you won’t be disappointed!

Nice cozy spot with a mix of cold dishes, with great quality italian products, clearly overpriced for what it is but (70€ for a few dishes and a couple of drinks) but quite enjoyable nontheless

I live in Barcelona and I am from Italy, this is to say that I am not a tourist. A piece of focaccia like this should be given for free, or can be bought for less than €0.50 anywhere, here it was €5.00 and when I mentioned this to the waitress, she said it is right because the pepper is baked. If it has to be a quality product I’ll go somewhere else. Unluckily I have not taken a picture of the other “dish”. Overpriced and rude waitress.

Don Giovanni is an iconic Italian restaurant located at the NH Stadium hotel near Camp Nou in Barcelona. Known as the 'King of Truffles,' Tumbarello's expertise shines through in his use of high-quality seasonal ingredients to create excellent risottos, pastas, and pizzas.
Nice italian restaurant at NH Hotel Stadium! The salad was very well prepared and abundant. And the focaccia was just perfect! I was impressed with the quality of the focaccia. The service was outstanding and quick. Definitely a must try if you're fancying italian cuisine, or staying at the hotel.

Food was delicious several starters. My friend loved the roasted octopus. But for an Italian restaurant in a Tuesday night with only only 15% occupancy I have never felt so rushed to order and leave and it took multiple times to get the order food correct. Completely overshadowed the food. Sorry to say. It was really weird and awkward.

I tried lasagna and margarita pizza. The pizza was close to Roman style and delicious. But Lasagna's bolognese sauce was a little sour. The person who served us was very polite, thank you.

Great experience. The staff was so kind and careful. It's a high class experience, real ilalian flavors and fresh food. Some dishes finished in front of you by the chef and other in a show when they serving the dish. Indeed, the protein portions are small per plate.

Ordered the spaghetti carbonara and left more hungry then when I got there. Portions were tiny for the price and the pasta was chewy and undercooked. The focaccia was good but everything else was poor quality and quantity. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this place.

Absolutely wonderful! I’m vegan and my husband and I arrived at the NH Stadium Hotel on Sunday evening after most nearby vegan restaurants had closed. Felix and the chef were incredibly helpful and accommodating, with the chef even coming out to go through the menu with me personally to see what we could adapt to fit my needs. The artichokes and vegetable soup were outstanding and they kindly made me a delicious veggie pizza without cheese. My husband loved his calzone as well. They even offered to procure pasta without eggs for me for next time I came! Thank you especially to Felix for everything; you were kind, welcoming, and accommodating. We will definitely be back before we leave Barcelona!

Àbac is a stylish and contemporary hotel in Barcelona, featuring polished quarters and a luxurious spa. The renowned restaurant, led by chef Jordi Cruz, has earned three Michelin stars and offers an average menu price of 250 euros per person. The hotel's fifteen rooms and suites are housed in a revamped 19th-century mansion, offering minimalist design with modern amenities such as plasma-screen TVs and Hermes toiletries.
What an incredible experience. Our waiters Jay and Gavin were absolutely incredible and so informative about every dish. Each dish was so unique using local areas of Spain and inspiration from the chefs childhood as references for the cuisine. I highly recommend it if you want an unforgettable experience. Truly worth its Michelin stars.

The restaurant is within a hotel with sleek, modern design. Technically flawless and creative cooking paired well with exclusively Spanish wines. A few surprises along the way which I would not wish to spoil within this review. I can highly recommend ABaC for a 3 star experience. Friendly and attentive staff, and good use of the space. Accommodating of food preferences.

I celebrated my birthday during my 2-week trip there and we reserved this restaurant for an amazing night. From start to finish, it was a culinary adventure and creative discovery with some highlights that totally wowed and amazed us - the candle butter, the tomato plant, the lipstick dessert, where it went from culinary enjoyment and excellent service to innovative concepts with great harmony. Jay and his team such as Rachel were awesome, not only were they knowledgeable and attentive, but Jay was also very funny and we had a lot of laughs throughout the courses. Thank you for this unforgettable experience and moment!

Amazing culinary experience and the nicest, most accommodating staff. Not all Michelin star spots will accommodate dietary restrictions and these guys went above and beyond. Would love to stay at their hotel and eat all the food they offer one day.

Amazing culinary journey tonight. Fantastic dish presentation with wonderful taste. Chef Cruz’s knowledge of ingredients is world class. I can’t find words to describe, will definitely pay a visit again. Last but not least, the service is very nice, have to say thanks to Jay and Irene’s excellent service tonight.
Peter H — Google review
the service was really nice, but honestly it’s not worth paying €300 for what you get. Nothing was bad, but at no point did anything stand out or feel like a real explosion of flavor. It’s like they tell you “this has some special black olive from wherever”, you try it and think “yeah, I can taste the black olive… and? XD” It’s just not impressive. I genuinely think there are plenty of other places that are way better and cost less than half of that. It’s crazy to charge this kind of price for food that simply isn’t good. I don’t care if you call it new cuisine or fine dining or whatever, the basic rule is universal: the dish has to taste good. If it doesn’t, I don’t care whether you used Sichuan pepper or vanilla from Madagascar.

If you want to watch our full video review, find us on YouTube travelwithpassionandstyle We visited ABAC for dinner, expecting an outstanding 3 Michelin star experience. Some moments were memorable: the opening Bloody Mary prepared tableside, the katsuobushi with red mullet, and the playful balloon dessert. Service was attentive in parts, and the wine list was huge! However, several details didn’t meet the level we expected. The timing between courses was rushed, leaving little room to enjoy each dish. One main course – the partridge – was poorly handled, even arriving with visible fingerprints on the plate. Bread service arrived unusually late, and overall the staff felt uncoordinated for a restaurant of this caliber. The evening cost around €870 for two with wine pairing. While the setting is elegant and a few dishes stood out, the experience did not feel consistently at the standard of other 3-star restaurants we’ve visited. We’ve shared all the details in the full video on our channel travelwithpassionandstyle on YouTube.

Fusion restaurant
Located in the heart of El Raval neighborhood and adjacent to the Casa Camper hotel, Dos Palillos is an upscale Asian fusion restaurant founded by Chef Albert Raurich and sommelier Tamae Imachi. Inspired by his time at El Bulli, Raurich combines small servings of Asian cuisine with Spanish tapas culture. The name 'Dos Palillos' means 'Two Chopsticks,' reflecting the restaurant's focus on Japanese and other Asian dishes with a Spanish twist.
Outstanding service and great food experience. Fish, meat, vegetables, fruits and rice in all varieties. We were just surprised that we found a place to enjoy ourselves at Don Palillos! Delicious food with such a unique menu, more then 10 different dishes. Happy that we have the opportunity to make a try. If you’re interested in making new experiences and try out new foods, that’s great too. Thanks for making this possible!

OK so I’ll start this by saying I’m not a Michelin star or food connoisseur type of person- my husband and I were gifted this experience but wow it was fun! The food was VERY different from what we’re used to though, I didn’t love it honestly it’s a little too out there for me. Our server (Sergio-request him!!) made us feel so comfortable and led us through the evening. He was the best part of the night!

Dos Palillos 🥢 Extraordinary It has been a long time since I’ve found a place so delightful for the senses. The lady who served us, the owner, guided us on an emotional journey through the dishes of ancient Japan. The way she weaves stories into the description of each plate was truly exceptional. The sparkling wines offered were a sensory delight for the palate. A place you absolutely must visit to enjoy a unique gastronomic experience.
Gabi M — Google review
A Michelin star awarded restaurant that offers a surprise packed tasting menu. Asian flavours meet global techniques, from cured fish to fresh wagyu - everything works together super well. My absolute favourite was the slow roasted lamb neck in a curry sauce, accompanied with pickled mango and lamb milk ice cream. The dinner is worth every penny.
Ott K — Google review
The restaurant feels cozy and alive, with a vibe that makes you want to linger. The fusion of Spanish and Asian flavors is playful and precise. The prawn with kimchi bursts with flavor and the pork belly with miso is meltingly tender. Every bite surprises in the best way. The staff are warm and passionate, making you feel guided through the tasting menu like a friend showing you their favorite dishes. Drinks pair perfectly and add another layer to the experience. The only tiny drawback is that the space is small, so it can feel a bit busy at peak times, but it doesn’t take away from the magic of the food. Dos Palillos is creative, fun, and unforgettable. A must for anyone who loves bold flavors and thoughtful cuisine.

Title: Great Experience with Flavorful Dishes Rating: ★★★★☆ (4.5 out of 5 stars) Review: I recently visited Dis Palillos for a last-minute dinner and unfortunately, I wasn't able to try their set menu due to the lack of reservation. However, I opted for their à la carte menu and had an enjoyable dining experience overall. One highlight of my meal was the fried stuffed calamari. The dish was exceptional, with a well-balanced mix of flavors that truly delighted my taste buds. The chef's skill in achieving such harmony was evident, and I highly recommend trying this appetizer. I also ordered the saki-infused nigiri, which was beautifully presented. While the visual appeal was impressive, I found the taste to be slightly underwhelming compared to the exquisite presentation. Nevertheless, it was still a decent choice. The cold noodles I ordered were a burst of delightful flavors. The selection of flavors was top-notch, and each bite was a delightful surprise. This dish truly showcased the chef's ability to create a harmonious blend of tastes. Moving on to the Japanese burger, the standout elements were the bun and the pickles. Both were exceptional and added unique touches to the overall burger experience. However, I feel that the burger patty itself could have been improved to match the excellence of the other components. On the other hand, the chicken katsu sandwich was a perfect delight. The chicken was expertly cooked, delivering a tender and flavorful experience. The toast was flawlessly executed, adding a satisfying crunch to complement the succulent meat. This dish was undoubtedly a highlight of my meal. Overall, my dining experience was great. The flavors in most of the dishes were well-balanced and enjoyable. Although I missed out on the set menu, I plan to return in the future to savor the complete culinary experience. The attentive service and inviting ambiance further enhanced my visit. I recommend this restaurant to those seeking a flavorful dining experience, and I look forward to exploring more of their offerings soon.

We were a group of six who visited Dos Palillos as part of a celebratory birthday break in Barcelona. We had the private room, which worked very well for us as we wanted to chat, but if you want to see the kitchen, this option isn't for you. We had the larger of the two tasting menus and matching wine. Firstly for us, it was absolutely worth the price difference to have the larger menu with the wagu and caviar. Secondly this is a challenging menu, if you can't deal with pigs ear, snouts, chicken feet (boned) and asian textures and flavours, then you aren't going to get very far into any of the menus here. We booked this as a contrast to the other food we were going to have in Barcelona and we loved it. Not everyone adored every course, but given the spectrum of ages, palates and preferences in the group this was no surprise. It was great fun, innovative and you are given things you've almost certainly have not had before. The front our house staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and overall we had a wonderful experience.

Can Solé is a renowned restaurant in Barceloneta known for its top-notch seafood platters, paella, and jugs of sangria. It's considered more upmarket than most with attentive waiters and high levels of service.
I spent quite a long time walking around Barcelona looking for a great place, with great food and great atmosphere and believe me, I found that place in Can Solé. The food is really good, the atmosphere is cosy, traditional and warm, the service from ALL staff members is superb, they are really really nice people, specially the guy from Domincan Republic who gave me the chance to enter without a reservation and made the chef prepared the paella with peeled shrimps, etc for me.....really welcoming and accommodating guy, but again, all others are also very nice. This is a place I will be always visiting during any of my stays in Barcelona. Thanks....

There is a reason why local restaurants like this can survive over a century. It’s simple, elegant, full of history, and yet humble about it. We ordered 3 dishes. Fried fish as appetizer, oxtail tail as the meat dish, and of course paella to finish off the meal. The fried fish was lightly salted and perfectly cooked. Not too dry but just enough so the bone came right off. The oxtail had been slow cooked for sometime. The meat did not come right off the bone, but that’s the good part. If it came right off, personally I would find it over cooked. This one was fine and tasty. I would recommend ordering a side of bread to finish the sauce. Don’t let it go to waste. The paella was gigantic. Tho it’s supposed to be for 2 people, but it felt like could feed 4 of us. It’s crispy on the bottom and soft on top. Personally I found the rice slightly undercooked (really just slightly). But then again this was the first time I ate paella in Spain. So it could very well be the authentic way. I wouldn’t change a thing. Staff were very friendly. Everyone was. I had a wonderful experience. Cheers to another 100 years.

Paella ofcourse! What I got the paella ofcourse! The typical one to that.. as a tourist.. ha. This was the second paella I had in Barcelona, and I really liked it. Everything was seasoned very well and tasted very good. No complains. I also got the razor claims - this to me was very new and different (personally I didn't like it). The crema Catalana was very good! I had around 3 of these and this one to me was the best.. (I am not local to barcelona.. I am still surveying). Environment Located in an off street on the main popular street. I didn't have a reservation and luckily was able to get a seat just an hour before the closing. They sat me at the front door, so I was not able to see the space. But I think there is quite a number of seating available, and even upstairs. Niceness of the staff Since I was very near to the door and the bar area.. which means I was always in the eyesight of the waiters and host. Also maybe I was a tourist, I was always on their minds? They were friendly and I was able to get my orders in with no problem Dollar It was decent I suppose, it was 24.40 per person for the paella and then the clams were 17.50. The bread costs! Yes I would recommend to other tourist alike haha..

Ramen restaurant
Japanese restaurant
Ramen-ya Hiro is a down-to-earth diner that has gained popularity for its delicious rice bowls, gyoza dumplings, and ramen noodles with a variety of toppings. Established in 2012 by Hiroki Yoshiyuki, it quickly became a go-to spot for authentic ramen in Barcelona.
If you're ever in Barcelona, you have to check out this amazing ramen spot! The ramen here is incredibly delicious - one of the best I've ever had - and the prices are super reasonable. What makes it even better is the wonderful staff; they're so kind, friendly, and welcoming. The whole place just has such a warm and cozy vibe. I absolutely loved it and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city. Don't miss this gem!
Yassin W — Google review
The flavors are solid, though not quite exceptional. What really stands out is the popularity; It’s always packed, so reservations are essential. The space is very small, which adds to the cozy vibe but might feel cramped during peak hours. Worth a try if you plan ahead!
Zixu S — Google review
Took a while to get a seat, but it was worth the wait. The menu was simple and the restaurant was very cozy similar to the ramen shops in Japan. Despite being very busy, service was pretty good and I even got to have a pleasant chat with the chef (who I also assume is the owner). Please give this ramen shop a chance whenever you are in the area!
Alan H — Google review
Ive tried 5 ramen bars in BCN and so far this is the closest to original taste. I ordered Miso since I like creamy ramen, it’s not really salty so I was able to finish the whole bowl. Price was reasonable too. You can walk it but you have to be wait since the queue might be long, so better to make a reservation.
Jaira Z — Google review
Was initially full of anticipation to try this ramen seeing the hype, but ended up being sorely disappointed. Although we did not have a reservation (advised for those who disliked queueing), we decided to go ahead and queue for a good 75 minutes (7:45pm - 9pm). Initially, they did not open the second store (mainly used for take out), but upon seeing the slow turnover rate, they eventually opened it and we were ‘fortunate’ to be the ones to be seated there. Upon taking our orders, we still had to wait another 15 minutes for 3 items to arrive— gyoza, miso ramen, soyu ramen. - gyoza was carelessly served, with the sauce spilling out of the condiment tray all over the gyozas, spoiling the integrity of the fried gyozas. Taste wise— it was decent but not top tier. - both ramen bowls were completely not up to par for a Japanese-owned ramen restaurant. Although most ramen cannot be compared to those in Japan itself, we were horrified to find out that the ramen broth was not genuinely boiled, but instead, it was made from instant concentrate, making it taste extremely artificial, with the broth clinging onto the tongue. Took a photo of the remaining sediments found at the bottom of the bowl, something not natural of elite ramen. Overall, experience was a huge let down, we were out of the restaurant within 15 minutes, after having queued for 5x as long. I didn’t even finish my bowl of noodles. Could have gone for instant cup noodles instead. Will never be back, will not recommend to anyone.
Caritas L — Google review
I went there at 13:00 noon. The restaurant was quite busy and the menu was very limited, but the ramen and dumplings tasted good. I highly recommend it.
Zhuo L — Google review
I wouldn’t recommend this place. Ramen was cheap (I guess this is why there is a really long queue to be seated), but it was average. The place was very crowded, noisy and dirty.

Lasarte, nestled within the elegant Condes de Barcelona Hotel, is a culinary gem that showcases the artistry of renowned Basque chef Martin Berasategui. Since its inception in 2006, this sophisticated restaurant has captivated food enthusiasts with its innovative tasting menus and exquisite wine pairings. Under the expert guidance of Chef de Cuisine Paolo Casagrande, Lasarte has evolved into a must-visit destination for those seeking an unforgettable gastronomic experience.
I enjoyed the €345 course. I regret that Google does not allow me to rate much higher than five stars... I interpreted it as a French-based creative dish, but is that correct? When I ate it while imagining the taste from the appearance of the dish, it was shown to be far beyond my expectations in terms of flavor, texture, aroma, and harmony. Personally, I was most impressed by the artichokes that blended with other ingredients such as mushrooms in a way I have never experienced before, the soup that brought together the depth of shrimp, and the unique approach to Wagyu beef that I have never seen in Japan. I also had a lot of high-quality wines, and was impressed by the value I felt at the bill. At other restaurants, there are cases where unnecessarily expensive items are served and the price tends to be inflated, but that is not the case at Lasarte. The service was also extremely sincere. I would definitely like to visit again.
Sean — Google review
Anyone giving this place less than five stars has forgotten what it means to go to places like this. The service was immaculate. The food was an experience with every bite. Could’ve been a good day for the restaurant or a bad one and I still would’ve had my mind blown. To say otherwise is pompous. Only critique would be to confirm the cost of certain add-ons like water and coffee.

A 5+ star experience lunch with amazing food, some great wine and incredible service from our server Samir and the Sommelier.  We had the 10 course Menu Degustacion … with appetizers and petit-fours it was more like 14 courses.  Along with some decaf coffee's it stretched out over sublime 3+ hours. Samir's professional yet approachable manner enhanced our experience significantly.  Our favorite dishes were the hamachi and oysters with cucumber, the prawns and barnacles with pineapple emulsion, and the marinated venison was the best I've ever had - which I told the chef when he visited our table at the end of our meal. Just brilliant.

Lasarte offers a beautifully polished dining experience, with flawless and attentive service that truly enhances the meal. I have to highlight the breads served, which was genuinely one of the best I've ever had—such a delightful surprise! It's a bit ironic that, despite the exquisite tasting menu showcasing premium ingredients and refined techniques, my standout moment was the humble bread. While I recognize the skill and artistry in the dishes, I found myself hoping for a more memorable and unique experience that would leave a lasting impression, especially given the restaurant's three Michelin stars. Overall, it was a lovely evening, but I left wishing for that extra spark that would make for a memorable and an unique 3 Michelin star meal.
Darren — Google review
This is a completely honest and valid review, not an exaggeration, I promise. TL;DR based solely on the food for those too impatient to read the whole story- the food is "good" but not great whatsoever. Three Michelin stars be darned, a large number of dishes completely missed in a big way. And for the outrageous price tag, it is AT BEST a 2.5 or 3 out of 5 stars. So why am I giving it 1 out of 5 stars? My wife became violently ill after the meal, likely from food poisoning. The restaurant refused to even respond to my attempts to contact them. Introduction: bad first impression, so the place doesn't open until after 8pm...but our reservation was for 8:00 so we arrived 10 minutes early, naturally, and waited almost 30 minutes to be seen and seated. Drinks: we are not much for alcohol. My wife ordered a mocktail which was essentially apple juice mixed with 2 or 3 other elements that were completely lost and indistinguishable behind the apple juice base. That didn't stop them for charging us €18 for it. I asked for a beer menu, but the waiter insisted he recommend me a beer based on my preferences. I said I like German and Belgian style wheat beers. He recommended a pilsner...and it becomes apparent he doesn't actually know anything about beer, so I politely declined and ask for a local Spanish Lager instead. It was just okay. I wish I actually got to see a full beer menu. Appetizer: we ordered the tasting menu. The first bites and appetizers are mostly pretty good! The mushrooms and clams appetizer was tasty. The fennel was interesting, not bad but nothing special. The shrimp tartare tasted like almost nothing, which is honestly fine with me given that it was raw shrimp. The steak tartare also tasted like nothing, which was a shame because I love steak tartare. Bread: I hated the bread service here. They have 6 different types of bread, 5 types of butter, and a house made olive oil. All that is great. The main problem is they portion the bread out for you 1 to 2 pieces at a time between courses. You never get a chance to try a type of bread more than once, and if you get a type that you don't like then you're just sort of pressured to eat it anyway. Why does the customer not have the liberty to get all the bread at the table and once to taste and portion themselves their favorites? I experienced far better bread services at 1 and 2 Michelin star restaurants in the past. First courses: the courses here really struggled to land for me. The sea cucumber and octopus were alright but nothing special (there is a theme here). The "pineapple 5 ways" dish was utter slop: it was a contrast of texture and temperature preparations of pineapple that confused and annoyed the palate as opposed to tantalizing it. The scallops were fine but the mucousy base textures in the sauce surrounding it were offputting, to say the least. The ravioli was the best of the middle courses, it was al dente and delicious, and the foam around it gave it a nice textural contrast. Main course: the biggest miss of the night had to be the pork trotters. When your menu only has 2 main "meat" dishes and one of them is a piece of pork that is 90% fat and collagen, then it feels like a cheap experience. I like fatty meat as much as the next guy, but this "meat" ate like a foreign delicacy that locals would enjoy, not a main dish at a 3 Michelin star restaurant. Horrifyingly bad dish. The venison, in contrast, was absolutely delicious. Best venison I've ever had. Dessert: my favorite dish of the night might have been the white chocolate and pistachio dessert. It was amazing and unique. The second dessert was called "baba spheres" and that was pure nonsense. The spheres were tasteless, not sweet, not herbaceous, not bitter. Nothing. The petit fours were also just okay. Verdict: I've had better experiences at 1 Michelin star, 2 Michelin star, and fine dining restaurant without any stars across both Europe and the world. This was my first 3 Michelin star experience and will probably be my last. To pay a grand total of $875 USD for two people for

This restaurant completely ruined my trip in Barcelona. After dining here, for three consecutive days, I suffered severe diarrhea, vomiting, and fever. It likely came from either the undercooked barnacle or the rare Corzo meat. Instead of showing any concern, the staff denied responsibility and refused even basic reimbursement. For a 3-star Michelin restaurant, the arrogance and indifference were shocking. The place may look nice, but the people behind it showed no care for their guests.

Cinc Sentits is a sleek and stylish restaurant that opened in May 2004, quickly becoming known for its high-quality contemporary Catalan cuisine. The self-taught chef, Jordi Artal, creates elegant dishes using local, organic, and wild ingredients. The minimalist decor provides an elegant backdrop to the new wave cooking.
Cinc Sentits is easily one of the best Michelin-starred restaurants I’ve experienced. The space is simple, modern, and welcoming. Upon arrival, you’re treated to a snack and cocktail prepared right in front of you. I love the attention to detail—they provide a card with each course, explaining where the ingredients are sourced and what’s in the dish. The sommelier was exceptional. I did the wine pairing, and each selection was flawlessly matched to the dishes—it was truly impressive! One wine even completely neutralized the fish aftertaste. The saffron curd dessert left a lasting impression—hands down the best dessert I’ve ever had. I highly recommend visiting; it’s absolutely worth the experience.

I have mixed feelings about our night at Cinc Sentits. There were some really special moments, and some things that for the price point weren’t so great. I will say that when we made the initial reservation the price online for the full tasting menu was around €169 pp. On the date of our visit the full tasting was €220, quite a jump without notice. Nowhere on the website does it say the price changes seasonally with the menu. They also offer a “light menu” option for €20 less. We asked the difference and it was three courses less than the full tasting and the full tasting would last around 3 hours. Pros: the food was absolutely spectacular. I’ve truly never tried dishes that were so innovative and full of flavor the way they craft their plates here. The wine pairing also was a nice accompaniment to the food, and being able to try wines from Catalonia without having to pour over and choose ourselves from the extensive wine menu was great. The service was also very attentive for certain aspects of the meal. Our water was always full, and the presentation of the dishes was really informative and thorough. Cons: The time. Even though we ordered the light menu, and got 3 less dishes than those with the full tasting we were still at our table for 3 hours, coursed out with every other table. The wine pairing, while nice to have, was at the end of the day only 2 and a half glasses of wine for over €100. I wish we had gotten one more type of wine. The appetizers didn’t include a pairing and the 3 desserts only came with one. Also the ambiance of the restaurant was very odd. There was no background music playing at all, so if you ever weren’t talking it was silent. It felt like you weren’t allowed to chat. Also the aesthetic of the restaurant felt cold. Maybe if there was music playing it might have warmed it up. But when you’re sitting for 15 minutes or more in between courses with silence because no one around you is speaking, it’s a strange feeling and makes the price you’re paying even more apparent. At the end of the day, the food is incredible but I’m not sure that outweighs the negatives of the experience or the hefty price tag.

We had high expectations for Cinc Sentits after seeing its Michelin 2-star rating, but sadly, the dining experience tonight was far from what I would expect from such an establishment. Food Quality: The dishes lacked standout flavors and creativity. The duck was so tough it was almost impossible to chew, let alone swallow. The sardines were extremely fishy — one of us couldn’t finish the dish — and because it was served early in the menu, it set a very poor tone for the rest of the meal. Nothing in the progression of courses redeemed the experience. Service: The service team, while friendly and well-meaning, did not operate at a polished, professional Michelin level. Most of our servers spoke very limited English, so I understood only about 10% of their explanations, which greatly diminished the storytelling element that is usually a highlight in fine dining. The way plates were presented and cleared also felt unrefined for a restaurant of this caliber. Ambiance & Décor: The interior is minimal to the point of feeling cold and uninviting. There was no warmth, charm, or special atmosphere to elevate the dining experience, and nothing about the setting stood out as memorable. Overall, I left feeling disappointed and questioning how Cinc Sentits earned its 2 Michelin stars. I do not recommend this restaurant based on my experience, and I wish I had chosen another place for what was supposed to be a special evening.

We were a group in the show room which was an interesting experience. The 220€ tasting menu of a two stars Michelin restaurant could be better balanced(maridaje de vino 125€ plus), we felt like slightly missing a main meat dish compared to the full set of desserts… All the food was creative, elaborate and sophisticated including seasonal ingredients. The environment was okay not outstanding…2025-10-25

My second occasion dinning at Cinc Sentits and the experience was once again superb. We choose the longer menu with the wine pairing and I strongly encourage you to do the same. Remember this experiences usually take time so be ready to expend 3+ hours enjoying your dining experience. Service was professional, knowledgeable and friendly which we love. We will definitely be joining again and can someone please add this restaurant to the Worlds 50 Best.

A Symphony of the Senses – Cinc Sentits, Barcelona From the moment you enter Cinc Sentits, you realize this is not just a dinner — it’s a story. Every course is a chapter, every detail a whisper of Jordi Artal’s extraordinary journey from Silicon Valley to Michelin-starred poetry on a plate. The space is intimate and elegant, with a minimalist warmth that allows the food to take the spotlight. What unfolds is not merely a tasting menu, but an emotional narrative — rooted in Catalan memory, refined by modern technique, and delivered with precision and soul. The flavors are bold yet balanced, nostalgic yet inventive. Dishes arrive like gentle surprises: a spoonful of sea, a bite of the forest, a scent that brings you home. Even the welcome drink — served dramatically on a stone slab — felt like a ceremonial entry into another world. Service is impeccable but never cold. The staff flows like choreography, with quiet reverence for the experience they’re guiding you through. This is a restaurant where nothing is accidental. Where even the silence tastes good. Bravo, Cinc Sentits. You’ve redefined what it means to truly feel a meal. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I went here one time with a bigger group and really enjoyed the experience. 2 years later came back with my fiancee for a celebration, expecting another incredible evening, but the truth is we went back home quite disappointed. Let’s start with the good things first. The food is from a high level and is very beautifully presented. The design of the restaurant is great and very modern with a touch of the Catalan feeling. We were welcomed in a super warm and friendly manner and the first bites in the separate area before entering the restaurant are incredible. So, why were we disappointed? The atmosphere in the restaurant is super cold and distant. It feels even a bit awkward to talk because it is so silent inside. The waiters inside the restaurant didn’t give us a friendly feeling at all and made us feel like we were not welcome and kind of a burden. They are often just standing there on the side and were not helpful in any way. Also the chef/owner didn’t appear at any point in the evening, which made it again less personal than it already was. This is especially strange because they want to make the menu look like an experience in which you follow the different episodes in the life of the owner. Finally, we asked for the bill and they were bringing it to our table with again a not-friendly attitude and just told us “service is not included”, then immediately waited with the payment terminal to see what tip you would give. This is for a two Michelin star restaurant really unacceptable and made us leave with a very bad feeling like we were just used to squeeze our money. The price is already very high for what you get and this comment is not really making that any better. Overall disappointed and we will not come back. Sad, because after my first visit I really had the opposite feeling.

Tucked away in the Eixample district of Barcelona, Can Vallès offers a refined setting and traditional Catalan dishes with a gourmet twist. The restaurant is known for its high-quality service and attention to detail. Despite its unassuming appearance, it's a favorite among local foodies for its market-inspired menu and impressive wine selection. The cozy eatery serves up classic Catalan fare like pork trotter cannelloni and garbanzo stew with lobster, as well as an array of meat options.
After many years of wanting to eat here, I finally booked far enough in advance to secure a reservation. My expectations were high and I can’t believe that the food was better than I anticipated. What a special treat! Price is a little high for a lunch, but service is impeccable and they plate some of the dishes individually so everyone at the table gets an equal portion. Even our kids loved it! We had an amazing meal and I can’t wait to come back. Thanks to the owner for being so friendly and explaining the history of the restaurant. See you soon 😘

It was likely one of the top 3 best culinary experiences in my life. The chef orchestrated the whole evening bringing dish after dish, resulting in a triumph of flavours with each bite. The meticulously crafted food brought back nostalgic memories I thought were lost. The service was impeccable and the music complemented this experience synaesthetically. I could taste the notes and hear the tastes like Ratatouille. 10/10 experience!

Agustín, the owner, and his team clearly understand the art of creating an unforgettable dining experience. The food is at the top of the list in Barcelona. Each dish had its distinct flavor, freshness of ingredients, etc. every bite was delightful. I had visitors the following week and could not have them miss this experience. So proud to have this restaurant be part of the fabric of this city! Give yourself a treat and visit them soon!

Can Vallès is everything you want a restaurant to be and more! Chef and owner Agustí and the entire team are truly incredible. The minute we walked in, we immediately felt at home and transported to a place we would love to call our very own neighborhood spot one day. Every single guest knew Agustí, and his warmth permeated throughout the entire restaurant. You could not dream up a more positive ambiance, and that is not by accident. Agustí cares so deeply about the restaurant, its history, his menu, and the overall experience, that it's impossible not to love everything about Can Vallès even before the food arrives. Then, there's the food, which is exceptional in every way. The complexity of each dish is incredible, and the results are unlike anything else you'll find in Barcelona. Every single dish is worth a conversation. Smoked deer carpaccio, poached egg in Txangurro sauce with caviar, pork foot cannelloni - all insane and perfect. We wish we were still eating the morels in foie cream - unreal! Then there's the goat tartare with mustard ice cream - refreshing, unique, and the perfect savory ending. And of course a perfect, custardy torrijas and flan to finish! We cannot wait to return and send anyone and everyone we know to visit Agustí and Can Vallès!

This place is just amazing. You would never think when you see it from the street that the food would be just fantastic (it is not a very fancy place). I was taken here by two fiends who work in Barcelona as notaries, and they said: “We bring here our best clients”. Initially I thought that they did not have good clients if they would take them to the Can Vallés…until the food arrived. Wow…such a treat! Everything was excellent. Definitely recommended (I hope to be able to still get a table the next time I am in Barcelona!).

Dining at this restaurant was truly an unforgettable experience. With its rich history and dedication to culinary perfection, it’s no wonder this establishment has stood the test of time. Every dish that graced our table was a masterpiece, meticulously prepared and bursting with flavors that spoke volumes of the chef’s artistry and the crew’s commitment to excellence. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed into an atmosphere that seamlessly blends sophistication with warmth. The staff’s attention to detail, professionalism, and genuine hospitality enhanced the entire dining experience, making us feel valued and at home. Each dish was a testament to the chef’s hard work, creativity, and passion for fine dining. The flavors were perfectly balanced, the presentation was exquisite, and the ingredients were of the highest quality. Our dinner experience at Moments was amazing. The service in particular was very impressive and notable. The synchronized service from the timed pouring of water to bringing dishes and taking them away was very much noticed and set the tone for the entire evening. All the fine details from our waiters (particularly Emmanuelle) was impressive. Also, very much appreciate taking the time to bring our family to the kitchen. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

A truly memorable experience! The service at Moments was absolutely outstanding. We felt a genuine personal connection. The timing was perfect, the staff was warm and attentive, and everything felt soulful and sincere. The food was good, but the wow factor was missing a little bit. What truly elevated the evening was the service and the overall experience. There were two set menu options, both including meat. Since I only eat halal, they had no problem adapting the entire menu just for me. I really appreciated the flexibility and care. The menu shown in the second-to-last photo is the one I was served. Highly recommended!

Moments Fine dinning with flair and heart, this is what Moments was all about when we dined there when staying at the Mandarine Oriental Hotel in Barcelona. When we got there, were immediately greeted by our names and shown our seats. The overall decor is chic, sophisticated yet comfortable. The servers are like a team and work cohesively together. They are genuine and introduce themselves and menu is about. We chose to do the $130 tasting menu along with the Classic Wine paring . Every dish was prepared and presented with such artistry with the right amount of flavors. Since the menu is seasonal, the photos we are sharing is a better example of how dishes. We did add the cheese course with the tasting, which was a very generous amount of cheese, so not sure if you need to do it for all in your table as one tray honestly could be shared. If you want to have a wonderful time, learn about the preparation of dishes and get inspired, Moments is a must.

We visited Moments in Barcelona at the end of July and absolutely loved it. Every course was a wonderful surprise, and the harmony of flavours was just perfect. Each bite was simply delicious and left us smiling. The service team is professional and well-coordinated. At first a bit reserved, but warmer as the evening went on. Special thanks to our waiter Emanuele who took great care of us! At the end of the evening, we even received a creative little gift to take home – a mini handbag inspired by the Birkin Bag, filled with cake. Such a unique and memorable touch! Overall, a fantastic experience! If you’re still on the fence about going, just go - you won’t regret it!

Overall great experience, highly recommend to try this out! Thank u service team, keep up the great work!

- This meal was the epitome of Michelin-star dining. Service was unimpeachable, flavors were remarkably fresh and beautifully composed; truly allowed the bright, local flavors to shine. - Emmanuelle was possibly the most earnest, all-in, wonderfully authentic waiter I’ve ever had the pleasure of dining with - The somme was able to articulate the specific reasons for pairing with specific flavors and it was like somebody letting you in on the joke. Loved it. - The manager was an absolute gentleman, down to the dapper double breasted suit. - Say no to the cheese cart and regret it forever; truly exceptional - From my perspective, this team is owed at least one more, if not two, Michelin stars.

Cecconi's Barcelona is an elegant and classic Italian restaurant located within the Soho House. It offers a diverse menu featuring pasta, seafood, and Northern Italian dishes, as well as a delightful Sunday brunch. The restaurant is open to non-members, making it a great spot to enjoy cocktails while working or socializing. The bar serves excellent aperitivi, including unique twists on classic drinks like the Negroni and Americano.
Sunday brunch at Cecconi’s in Barcelona was a truly delightful experience. Nestled in the elegant Soho House, the setting is stylish yet relaxed—ideal for a slow, indulgent afternoon. The buffet was beautifully arranged with a wide variety of fresh, flavorful dishes. I tried their wood-fired pizza, perfectly cooked shrimp, a colorful selection of salads, and several other delicious bites. Everything tasted vibrant and well-prepared, reflecting the quality ingredients and careful execution. The dessert selection was equally impressive—decadent, well-balanced, and presented with flair. Each sweet treat felt like it had been crafted with intention, not just added for show. I ordered a cocktail that didn’t quite suit my taste, and when I mentioned it to the waiter, he kindly removed it from the bill. That gesture of kindness and attentiveness really stood out—it’s rare and deeply appreciated. The restaurant was about half full, which created a calm and pleasant vibe, perfect for a Sunday afternoon. The service was polished and friendly without being overbearing, and overall, the whole experience felt special without trying too hard. ✨ Final thoughts: Cecconi’s Sunday brunch is a charming blend of great food, gracious service, and a refined yet unpretentious atmosphere. A lovely way to spend a relaxed afternoon in Barcelona.

This was hands down the best Italian restaurant we’ve been to in Barcelona. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality that made us feel right at home. The ambiance was charming and authentic, perfectly reflecting the spirit of Italy, and the food… absolutely incredible. Every dish we ordered tasted fresh, flavorful, and truly Italian — from the handmade pastas to the rich sauces and perfectly balanced desserts, it was clear that the kitchen takes great pride in its craft. We were celebrating a special occasion — my brother’s graduation and birthday — and the staff went above and beyond to make the evening unforgettable. They were incredibly accommodating, attentive to every detail, and even helped us coordinate a surprise celebration for him. It meant so much to us to feel so welcomed and supported during such a meaningful night. A very special thank you goes to Alberto, the manager, who was outstanding throughout the entire experience. He personally made sure everything went smoothly, and his kindness and professionalism truly elevated the evening. He treated us like family, and that made all the difference. This place is more than just a restaurant — it’s an experience. Whether you’re visiting Barcelona or living here, this is a must-visit spot for anyone who appreciates genuine Italian cuisine and top-notch service. We’ll definitely be coming back and recommending it to everyone we know. 10/10 without a doubt!

So happy that we came here. It was such a close walk from our hotel at the Catalonia, and the food and service was amazing. We started off with a small size of the spicy salami pizza, and a side of the mixed green salad. These two starters were delicious. The pizza had great thin crust, a great tomato sauce base, and the spicy salami had great flavor. The salad had the perfect amount of citrus. Then for our mains, we had the rigatoni Bolognese, which was perfection, and the truffle agnolotti, which was life-changing. The wines (by the glass- maybe the bottles are better) was the one thing that we didn’t love, but everything else made up for it, including our lovely servers who took great care of us- Roberto and Jacopo. Thank you, Cecconi’s!

The ambience is lovely, and the service was excellent. Staff is friendly and speaks fluent English. We especially enjoyed the truffle pasta and the cacio e pepe: both were delicious. The margherita pizza was good, though not particularly outstanding. We were celebrating a friend’s birthday, and the staff surprised us with an amazing tiramisu on the house, which was a wonderful touch. Their cocktails were also fantastic. Overall, a great spot that I’d definitely recommend.

The service was impeccable. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food they were serving. this place is interesting - it’s very fancy and I liked it, but I wouldn’t recommend to vegetarians and I’m not rushing to come back. The zucchini frittered were so good, we ordered two. My weakness. The potatoes were good but nothing to write home about. The cacio e pepe was great. If you come here, get the profiteroles. but I don’t think the pumpkin ravioli was executed well.

Buenas Migas is a popular spot for both locals and visitors, offering a variety of affordable coffees and a relaxed atmosphere. With multiple locations, including Passeig de Gracia, Carrer del Bon Pastor, Calle de Mallorca, and Placa de la Universitat, it's an ideal place to enjoy a leisurely coffee on a sunny day. While the service may be slow at times, the food and drinks are highly praised.
Definitely very delicious, I loved everything I tried here during my stay in barcelona. Pizza slices are generally 4,60. Juice was 4,20 and flapjack was 3,50 which I highly recommend. Auberge one a little bit much tomato pastey so it might be better other than breakfast

Best culinary hidden gem of the whole of Barcelona—a mere stone’s throw from my hotel and many main attractions of the city! I absolutely loved their granola yoghurt cups and focaccia for breakfast and a quick snack to go. Service is great and I was so thrilled to find out that they had several branches scattered throughout the entirety of Barcelona. My wife was so reluctant to leave the shop but luckily they sold their granola in generous takeaway packets for an affordable 7 euros! High hopes that they expand to other parts of Spain:)

I don’t often write reviews for coffee shops, but this place truly earned it. Buenas Migas became my go-to morning stop since it’s right around the corner from where I’m staying. Absolutely Fantástico! I had an incredible experience at Buenas Migas Focacceria in Eixample, Barcelona. Every dish I ordered was fantástico! 🌟 The Red Velvet Cake was hands down the best I’ve ever had — perfectly moist, flavorful, and just the right level of sweetness. The cinnamon bun was another winner — soft, fragrant, and comforting. Even their cold-pressed juice was fresh and full of flavor. 🥤 I can’t wait to return to try their coffee next time — if it’s anything like the rest, I know it’ll be amazing. A cozy spot that truly delivers both quality and heart in every bite. ❤️🇪🇸

Seafood restaurant
Estimar is a hidden gem of a restaurant with an open kitchen, renowned for its creative seafood dishes and delectable cheesecake. Nestled in a secluded alley near the Santa Maria del Mar church, this intimate and informal dining spot has been under the ownership of the Gotanegra family since 1895. Chef Rafa Zafra, known for his association with the Adria brothers, showcases his expertise in sourcing top-quality seafood from various regions.
Hidden away in the Gothic Quarter, this small, cozy restaurant is perfect for a delicious dinner with friends or a romantic one for two! Fresh fish, a good selection of wines and very welcoming staff!
Irina S — Google review
This place is definitely overpriced, but their ingredients are top quality. They have starters of sardines, olives and bread. The sardines are mild, slightly fishy, and pretty good chewy bite. The olives are quite mild and pleasant. Then they have the anchovy with tomato bread on the menu(anchoas cantabrico). The menu portion is 4 of each which is 34€, but you can order just 1. That works out to 8.5€ for one of each. The tomato bread was thin and crunchy. The anchovy though was extremely salty, strong tasting and somewhat fishy(less than you would expect for how strong it was) Unless you're an anchovy enjoyer, don't bother for this price Goose barnacles min 100g, 36€ has this particular chew, it's kind of like crab but salty instead of sweet and more chewy. For 100g you don't get much meat, and if I were being honest I have no idea why this thing is a delicacy. It's more just novelty, it's really not superb tasting. It's an interesting snack, maybe worth 5€ for 100g if we just consider the taste. Definitely skip this Minimum order of one Gambas Rojas de roses brasa. This one was top tier. The flesh tasted like the best amaebi. Superbly supple and almost juicy. The head unfortunately was bitter. Unless you have a thing for big prawns tho, I hardly think this is worth it. The smaller ones taste the same, and costs a lot less at other places. The cheesecake is amazing. This is coming from someone who loves cheesecake, it's got such a great harmonious flavour, and the soft crust that's almost a sauce in itself worked wonders too. If you're a serious cheesecake lover, you have to try this. The whole thing was so impressive I couldn't believe they merely used cream cheese. Moreover, the strawberry jam it's served with is one of the best I've had. First of all it seems like there's barely any added sugar, and it's intensely fruity. Most jams are too jammy(as in it seems artificial, rather than something you cook down from natural products), and don't work as a sauce. This one somehow works perfectly with the cheesecake. Apart from the cheesecake, the items here are premium but priced at way too much of a premium with no significant taste improvement. However the cheesecake is insane. I polished it off myself, and you can tell from the pic the thing is not small, probably meant to be shared between 2

The food was okay, but compared to the price, there was no wow effect. The anchovies in olive oil and the big green and black olives were great and full of complex flavors that they served at the beginning. The oysters were good as well. Unfortunately, the rest of the starters and main dishes were just okay. Even the vermouth they served was not of good quality, and the dessert was also 'quite disappointing' despite the promising presentation.

Rafa Zafra’s restaurant delivers a standout seafood experience. Each dish showcases the best of the Mediterranean fresh, elegant, and full of flavor. The red prawns are a highlight, perfectly cooked and deeply satisfying. Service is polished and relaxed, creating a welcoming atmosphere.

Enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Estimar. A bit pricey, but well worth it! The restaurant is small, intimate, and fun watching the chefs work around us. We started with the oysters and caviar butter toast - so good! Picked our own fresh scorpion fish and paired with the asparagus. And the cheesecake is a must!

Amazing high quality fresh food. Everything is delicious and well cooked. Good atmosphere and great kind service. The place is hidden in a small street and the restaurant is quite small which gives a lovely atmosphere. The menu is super rich and based mostly in fresh fish that they cook in front of you(depending on the table). Only con: the price of wines is outrageous.

Decent food experience with one surprise on our tastebuds - the crayfish carpaccio. Lovely goose barnacles. We ordered a few rounds. Rose red prawns a bit average. Price is super good for what you get. We ordered cheesecake for takeaway as we were too full.

We love the one in Madriad. Actually, this one in Barcelona was the starting point, the first one. It’s deep in the old town alleyway. It’s a pleasant surprise when one first come into the restaurant, such a contrast against the alley outside. It’s more than open kitchen. Guests are literally sitting inside the kitchen. We loved that, an authentic homely feel. Seafood ingredients were first rated and cooking was superb. We order the best Spanish white on the menu and it was super. Only complaint: Service could be improved. They missed couple of our orders and server was a bit rash in her serving manner. To us, it’s was one of the best restaurants in Barcelona, if you are not into Michelin style.

Italian restaurant
Les Sorrentines is a charming Italian eatery nestled in the Born district, exuding a funky ambiance with its mismatched chairs and dangling lamps. The restaurant specializes in crafting delectable pasta dishes from scratch, showcasing their culinary prowess. Notably, their signature dish, the sorrentinos, steals the show with its generously-sized pasta pockets stuffed with various fillings and smothered in your preferred sauce.
This was an unexpected stop for us. We expected to be going to the Italian place around the corner but left after the server totally ignored us for about 15 minutes. She barely brought over the water we asked for. A quick search came up with Las Sorrentinas and we're so glad it did! The food was spectacular, the inside was cozy and the service was great. Although there are some other dishes, the idea is to pick a pasta and a sauce. I had the stuffed ravioli with prawns, shitake and mascarpone. Delicious! The chicken lasagna was also very good. Don't pass up the salad with caramelized goat cheese, nuts and fruit. But the absolute best was the fried aubergine (eggplant.) Best I've ever had. The place had a very cool vibe, too. Nice jazz music.

We loved this place! The food was spectacular — a perfect fusion of Peruvian and Italian flavours. We had the Andean lasagna and lomo saltado, and both were absolutely amazing. The staff was super friendly, and we ate outside, where it was peaceful and relaxing. Everything was just great. Highly recommended!

girl this food was so good. the pork just melted on your tongue and was so tender, the cheese was amazing, and the veal in my dish was great too. the tiramisu felt like biting into a cloud and was so yummy. it's a cozy lil place to visit too

The plates were hot and delicious. The meat lasagna was savoury and filling. The Tomato sauce was zesty and bright. Other plates looked great. The wine was complex with good legs and tail. Not bad for our first meal in Barca after a long flight!

Tucked away on a quiet, welcoming corner not far from the Arc de Triomf, this restaurant is a real gem. The staff are warm and attentive, creating a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The carbonara stood out with its rich flavor and a subtle hint of chili that gave it a unique twist. Desserts were just as impressive—delicious and beautifully presented. Overall, it’s a wonderful spot to enjoy dinner and a glass of wine.

La Dama is a Mediterranean-French restaurant located in the Gaudi-influenced Casa Sayrach, a stunning modernist building on Avenida Diagonal in Barcelona. The restaurant's interior resembles the elegant apartment of a socialite heiress from the same era, with mirrored doorways, crimson velvet banquettes, and vintage floral wallpaper. It is known for its superb lighting and decoration that creates a magical and romantic ambiance.
Incredible ambiance from the moment you see the exterior facade til the moment you walk in and the man uses a huge key to open the door for you. The food is good albeit not the best in BCN but it is really the total experience that delivers at a reasonable price.

A beautiful restaurant, both inside and outside. We enjoyed the lamb, tenderloin, as well as the calamari carbonara (appetizer). Endives salad and truffle fries were not bad as well. Cod and the asparagus risotto were the only mediocre dish, overall had a great time!

Top of the line hidden gem in Gràcia / Eixample. Delicious food & drinks. Great service. A classy, yet trendy vibe. All dishes had a tasty twist, such as crispy guanciale & almonds on the asparagus risotto. The Spanish cod with tomatoes, olives & capers was excellent. Try their sister cocktail bar "Galileo" for more unique drinks after your dinner!

We had our last dinner at La Dama before departing Barcelona. The place did not disappoint. The atmosphere was memorable, and the waiters were attentive. I would visit again when I return to Barcelona.

Wow! The duck Wellington was amazing! The gorgeous building, distinctive lobby and whimsical decor set a perfect backdrop for a wonderful experience. The service was quite slow and much was lost in the handoff between waitstaff.
Barbara H — Google review
This restaurant is in a magnificent location, and the architecture is astonishing. The Gaudi style modernist building is an experience in itself worth seeing. The decor of the restaurant is also pleasing, lots of worm lights, and artwork. Tables are a bit too close to each other for this type of venue. The food is ok, fresh ingredients. Was expecting a bit more attention to detail from this king of high ranked establishment: my steak had lots of fat on the edge, not trimmed, and also lots of sinue. The lobster pasta was supposed to be spicy(in fact, the server warned me it would be spicy), but the dish had zero spice when it came. The staff was very attentive, they even brought me a plate of pettie four with a candle and a Happy Birthday message, which I really appreciated. The desert was great, the raspberry signature desert, but my son's "fruit salad" litteraly had only gren apple and pineaple. Nothing else. It was a great experience to be there, but for the price we paid, we could have easily eaten at a Michelin star location. Will not return.

Wellington beef was very raw; after we asked to bake the meat more, it was brought back better cooked, but the rest of the dish was absolutely dry. The signature raspberry dessert is OK. The atmosphere is charming, and the service is fast and pleasant.

Lluritu is a compact seafood eatery in Barcelona that prides itself on serving locally sourced grilled seafood in a minimalist setting. Despite its simple self-description as a mid-range seafood restaurant, Lluritu offers an excellent quality menu of Spanish seafood from the Mediterranean and northern Atlantic coasts at accessible prices. The restaurant's lively and festive atmosphere adds to its charm, making it a top choice for both seafood aficionados and casual diners.
Fresh fish, prawns and shells served tapas-style. No fuss, only fresh ingredients (raw, grilled or marinated) served with little to none garnish highlighting their own distinct flavour. The best scallops ever, pure excellence!

We came here as a walk in, luckily we were the first to arrive before opening as there is very limited seating. We sat at the counter area at the front of the restaurant. We ordered quite a large selection of dishes as you'll see in the images. The food was well cooked but not over cooked and the way it was cooked really emphasised the flavours of the seafood. The service was friendly and attentive, we really enjoyed this place and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.

The scallop is woohoo good that I ordered twice (8 pieces) still feels not enough. Can be a bit slow during peak hours, but the service is good (love the smiles from them). The shrimp is my second favorite, super tender and fresh. Taste overall is a little salty but still balanced. Highly recommend place for seafood lovers from anywhere

Busy restaurant! Requires a booking. Great for fresh seafood in the middle of the city! - most of the ingredients are only lightly seasoned to allow the natural flavours to come through - reasonable pricing for seafood which is very fresh - great for lunch! - the razor clams and the prawns were great. - the ceviche was a tad under seasoned for me. - an English menu is provided. - they strictly open only after 1pm.

This is my favourite place to eat fish in Barcelona. There are so many dishes that I crave so much and have to return for! Namely - the scallops. They are salty, sweet, tangy and delicious. The sardines are also so yummy. The atmosphere in the restaurant is nice and the service is really good. I can never finish a meal without a mousse de galleta maria which tastes like my childhood. 7 Portes is a renowned Catalan restaurant in Barcelona, known for its old-world charm and delicious seafood dishes, especially the classic paella. Established in 1836, this iconic restaurant has an elegant 19th-century decor with seven dining salons. The menu offers regional dishes served in generous portions, including fish zarzuela, various paella options, fresh seafood, and hearty stews.
We celebrated my mother’s 86th birthday at 7 Portes, and it was truly a night to remember! From the moment we walked in, the staff made her the star of the restaurant. Our waiters, Javier and Marcos, were attentive, warm, and made the evening so special. We started with a sampler platter of croquettes, salads, and toasts—each dish full of flavor. To drink, we decided on a pitcher of red sangria. It was the perfect balance of tart and sweet. For the main course, we enjoyed the lobster paella and a seafood tower that was as impressive as it was delicious. I was the only one brave enough to try the snails, and to my surprise, they were wonderful—I’d eat them again! Dessert was the perfect finale: crème brûlée, sorbet, and cheesecake with fresh figs for the birthday girl. The staff surprised her with whipped cream, a candle, and led the entire restaurant in singing happy birthday. She cried the happiest tears and said this was the trip of a lifetime. Thank you, 7 Portes, for giving us a meal—and a memory—that we’ll treasure forever. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Barcelona!

Everything we ate was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was elegant and calm, and the staff were attentive, friendly, and truly professional. We started with appetizers, and while we were enjoying our conversation, the main courses arrived — perfectly timed, neither too fast nor too slow. The service quality was simply top-notch. As for the flavors — INCREDIBLE. Honestly, even their bread and olive oil alone would be a reason for me to come back. The seafood paella was perfectly balanced, and the marinated oyster inside was the real star of the night. The lamb we ordered as an extra dish was also cooked to perfection — tender, seasoned just right, and full of flavor. I definitely recommend dedicating one of your evenings in Barcelona to this place. Considering the quality, taste, and ambiance together, the prices are absolutely worth it — more than fair. 👌🏻✨

A can’t miss restaurant in Barcelona. The best paella experience. This restaurant will take you back in time. We literally sat at the same table that Pablo Picasso used to frequent and right. The food here is excellent. The restaurant is s little dated, but the staff are really friendly and professional, and the food tastes great, especially the paella. Had an amazing dining experience at 7 Portes in Barcelona! Their paella was one of my favorites in Spain perfectly seasoned, not too salty, and beautifully balanced with vegetables. The cannelloni was another highlight, rich and full of flavor, and the tomato bread complemented everything so well. The house wine paired perfectly with the meal, making the whole experience even better. This place is now definitely on my favorite restaurants list in Barcelona can’t wait to return! Went to this Beautiful restaurant on a day trip to Barcelona with my family and it didn’t disappoint. Great atmosphere and amazing service. Food was absolutely delicious. We tried lobster paella, goat cheese salad and spinach with pine nuts. Everything was 10/10! We also tried white wine and rose, also 10/10. We didn’t have a reservation and restaurant was packed when we arrived but hostess was kind enough to still arrange a table for 5 of us. Truly a great experience, do recommend!

Everything about this place was great. Location was maybe a bit far from the main "everything" but really it was maybe a 20 minute walk. Terrassa Martínez is a dining spot perched on Montjuic hill, offering an enclosed terrace with stunning views of Barcelona's bustling port and the Mediterranean Sea. While not exclusively focused on seafood, it is renowned for its line-caught prawns, French oysters, juicy lobster, gourmet tinned seafood, and whole roast fish. The lobster arroz caldoso is a standout dish.
This was a recommendation from a friend and we were dubious given its location away from the city , but upon entering I can only say they delivered great service, lovely food and a wonderful location with views of the city. Book early to get the best seats, enjoy the rice and a fish - go as a group of 4 at least so you can truly sample what’s on offer. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening here - well worth it.

Nice setting and great service, but the paella was a major letdown… We visited this restaurant in Barcelona to celebrate my birthday. The venue itself is quite charming, but not an extraordinary view, though it has still a pleasant and inviting atmosphere. We had made a reservation about 4-5 days in advance and informed them via email that it was a special occasion. Despite the short notice, they arranged a lovely private balcony table for us, which really elevated the experience. The staff were very attentive and welcoming throughout the evening, and the service was one of the highlights. As for the food, overall, it was generally good. However, the paella – which is one of their signature dishes – was a major disappointment. At €28 per person (€56 total for two), we had high expectations. Unfortunately, it fell short in almost every way. The rice was dry, the seafood was overcooked, and the shrimp hadn’t even been properly cleaned. The dish lacked the depth of flavor you’d expect from a place known for paella, and it just wasn’t enjoyable. It was honestly a shock, and it really dampened the mood of what was supposed to be a special night. In summary, great service and a nice setting, but if you’re going there specifically for the paella, I’d think twice. At that price point, it should have been much, much better. I now see why there are mixed reviews. I think they don’t have a standard and unfortunately, I wouldn’t go there again.

We came here for the first time 3 years ago and reminisce about that meal often because it was so exceptional. Last night we had the pleasure of revisiting, and it lived up to our precious memories!! Everything from the ambience, the amazing staff and of course the incredible food was to die for, we also lucked out and had a table with a great view. Also, if this item is still on the menu, you must get it: the pork rib and wild garlic rice! The best paella we’ve had (and we’re big seafood fans), I really hope we get to taste it again sometime - in the meantime we’ll be reminiscing!

If you want a more special occasion, celebratory meal, or just an elevated experience, I would recommend Martinez when in Montjuic. There is so much good food in Spain, much of it found in the most casual environments, but places like this should not be missed. I had the hands down best tuna tartare I’ve had anywhere, and the arrozes, Iberian pork and beef tenderloin were all outstanding. I had a green salad to start- something simple and light, but it was so fresh, dressed appropriately and opened my palate perfectly. When even a salad feels intentionally prepared, you should pay attention. The ambience is also so lovely, next to a gorgeous garden and with stunning views. Come with your partner or a group. You will not regret it!

This place was a little confusing to get to if you’re taking public transportation, but so worth the effort! It’s located on top of a hill with a beautiful view of the marina. I went alone for an early dinner and was absolutely blown away. This place is a MUST for the paella. It’s so delicious! I ordered the seafood paella. For dessert, I had the crème Catalan - do not miss this one! It was so smooth and not too sweet. Bar del Pla is a cozy tapas and wine bar located in the lively El Born neighborhood. It's a favorite spot among locals, offering a relaxed atmosphere and an impressive selection of natural wines. The menu features delicious seasonal small plates such as smoked sardines, squid ink croquettes, and crispy oxtail with foie gras.
Bar Del Pla was honestly one of the highlights of our trip to Barcelona. I first saw it recommended on social media, and it still managed to exceed all expectations. The first night we couldn’t get a table, but the lovely hostess took our number and made sure we had a spot the next day. She was so warm and welcoming, it already felt like a good sign. The food? Absolutely incredible. Every dish had its own unique flavor, the presentation was beautiful, and the wine pairing just made it all come together perfectly. One of the best meals we had on our trip!! The roast beef de picanha absolutely blew my mind. Bar del Pla is such an interesting spot with a fantastic selection of tapas and wines. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, while the staff bring great energy, enthusiasm, and impressive wine knowledge. An Argentinian artist called Juliette just down the street recommended this place as the best local bar around and she wasn't wrong. Fabulous atmosphere (cosy and young and happy and local) and we got here at 5:30 - 7. Waiting staff fun, chilled, professional and conscientious but not intrusive - it's a bohemian chilled place with amazing sea bass and tapas. And a wonderful range of wines. Whether seated at the bar in pairs people clearly loved this place and were coming back - as we will.

Food: If you like your food to be really flavourful, this is the place for you. Every dish was mind blowing nice, but 3 dishes really stood out: the roast beef, iberico pork & meat balls. This meal is a thorough gastronomical pleasure. Service: We were served by Lupe, she was welcoming, warm & patient. She took pains in explaining each of the tapas dishes to us. When we asked for a certain wine that she wasn’t so sure of, she asked her colleague to assist us. From the interactions, it is clear that they are well-trained and passionate which considerably added to the overall great experience. I’ll come back Barcelona again (15 hour flight) just to eat at this tapas bar!

During our vacation in Barcelona, we had the chance to Lunch at Bar del Pla, and it was without a doubt one of the culinary highlights of our trip. We sampled nearly the entire menu, and each tapa was better than the last — bursting with flavor, beautifully presented, and showcasing the best of Catalan cuisine with a creative twist. What truly elevated the experience, however, was the wine — and our fantastic server Gabriel. He guided us through a selection of exceptional natural wines, all from the region, and every recommendation came with a detailed explanation that reflected both deep knowledge and genuine passion. His suggestions paired perfectly with the dishes and made the whole Lunch even more memorable. The atmosphere was lively yet intimate, and the combination of outstanding food, incredible wines, and warm, personalized service made this an unforgettable Lunch. A huge thank you to Gabriel and the team at Bar del Pla! ❤️

Sometimes service makes the difference to excellence and this was the case. Not saying food is not good...actually it is the opposite: I only tasted bravas this time and I can easly say they got in my top 10 in town... But, furthermore, the looks of other tapas was gorgeous, so definitely a place to come back. Still, beyond the food, my only concern eas that I felt I was the only local in the rrstaurant! This was a tuesday night, eight o'clock, and the place was starting to have a line outside...yet only foreigners! I almosy skip it but -here the "service" touch- after chatting a nice maitre -local-, she allowed me in just to taste the bravas: no soberbia, full of simpathy, awesome! I fully recommend this place yet get ready to line up or -much better- book in advance Illustration: bravas for 5,5€ Labels: 2eat. 2drink, #tapas, #authentic, #mustgo

I found this spot while doing my research, and it turned out to be a good discovery. The service was warm, well-presented, and friendly. Sitting at the window table added to the experience, offering a view of both the interior and exterior simultaneously. The food was tasty overall, although I was a bit let down by the tortilla. I'm accustomed to hearty, thick tortillas, but this one resembled more of a scrambled egg mixed with an omelette. Despite the difference, it was still quite tasty. On the sweet side, the cheesecake was a standout, delivering on flavour. If you appreciate good service and a pleasant dining atmosphere, this place is worth a visit. Just be prepared for a slightly different take on the tortilla dish. And try to reserve, just in case.

Enjoyed a delicious fried squid sandwich topped with a well-balanced aioli (regular and squid ink). Spicy tuna cannelloni isn't a pasta dish. It's just spicy tuna cubes topped with perfectly ripe avocado slices and tobiko. Highly recommend!!

What a fantastic little find, the food was lovely, very fresh, well made and put together. By far the star is the owner/host, made us feel welcome and explained menu well. One of the best meals we had in Barcelona
Daniel H — Google review
Authentic Catalan tapas spot, far from the tourist traps. The calamari sandwich is outstanding, and every dish we tried was delicious. Great drinks and excellent vermouth. Staff don’t speak perfect English, but communication is easy and friendly. Highly recommended!

I arrived right as they opened and had to wait a few minutes for the kitchen to be ready, but it was worth it. While waiting I had a beer that was poured perfectly and some olives. For the food, I had a jamon and an escalavida croquette, they were both great. I also had the Pollo sandwich, it was so tender and flavorful with the spicy mayo and fresh vegetables. Very good and I would go back several times!

Best Catalan tapas in Barcelona. During our trip this place stood out for food, drinks, and atmosphere. The octopus was amazing, it is lightly fried but still tender. The shrimp were also top notch and incredibly fresh. I like to pair my meals with vermouth and my wife loved every drink she had. The staff is amazing and even helped me with my Spanish. The place is smaller and has indoor and outdoor seating making it a very fun experience, we met some fellow travelers. We were very impressed and left very happy, can’t wait to go back someday. You have to try this place if you are in Barcelona.

our first dinner in barcelona and proabby the best of them all, very friendly service, the older gentlemen serving us is friendly and chatty, food was really good, flavoursome, potato bravas has tasty source, gralic shrimp is very fresh , the avocado tuna thing was very good too, and price was very reasonable for the things we ordered I think for 5 dishes 2.3 wines it was just about it 95 euro. really recommend!

Go visit the restaurant if you are in Barcelona - it is really good. Cool vibes, the location is a traditional family place that has been around for many years, they have many options of drinks, and the food was so good! We had different tapas with one in particular which was a special of the day (seabass) being one of the best tapa we had in Spain. I will definitely get back here if again in Barcelona.

Asian fusion restaurant

Restaurante Mano Rota, which translates to "broken hand" in Spanish, is a trendy hotspot offering innovative fusion dishes and Spanish wines in a stylish setting with exposed brickwork. The restaurant takes traditional Spanish staples and gives them a modern twist, such as the bacalao kokotxas (salted cod stew) and aguachile de mejillones (mussels with lime, coriander, and chili peppers).
Karina and the other gentleman (didn’t get his name) were so kind and helpful throughout our dinner service. Really great food and perfect for sharing amongst two. Fantastic flavorful dishes that are unique and executed well but still pay respects to Peruvian and Japanese cuisine. Cava suggestions were fantastic as well. Overall, great and friendly service with great food. Definitely a place worth visiting again and recommending to others.

We came here based on a friend’s recommendation and the glowing reviews, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype. The food looks good but was bland and underwhelming—not what we were expecting given the positive feedback—and at over 60 EUR per person, it didn’t feel worth it. Despite leaving hungry, we didn’t finish our plates. That said, the service was friendly and welcoming, which we appreciated, but overall, it was a disappointing experience.

Definitely have your palate prepared. All four of the dishes that I ordered, including the bread, packed a punch. Incredibly flavorful and rich, almost to a fault. It takes some getting used to, but I think ultimately worth it. Would go back if I wasn't just visiting. Very friendly service, too, and the food was served at a good pace.

Flavors are so unique that the food melts in your mouth. The beef cheek was incredible. The Décor is simple but sophisticated and the staff there are very kind and friendly and took their time to recommend and advise of the food. The menu is not large which I like very much and the restaurant really focused on a selection of well crafted and prepared dishes. Food is really delicious. At the end of the meal they treated us with plum liquor which was amazing as well. I highly recommend trying this place.

A small jewel in this lovely neighborhood. Mano Rota is situated in a small street a few meters from Poble Sec station. Once you enter the restaurant, you feel yourself comfortable and relaxed thanks to the warm welcome of the waiter. He speaks very well English by the way. He suggested us to take two dishes per person. This is what we did and we added some oysters as starter, a bottle of Priorat and some water. The oysters were delicious. The Japanese sauce and red apple dice fits the taste and improves it. A real discovery. Then came the dishes. One by one. The octopus was good, without any special feeling about it. The sauce was a bit salty though. The second dish, chicken, was perfectly cooked, accompanied by onion pickles and lettuce leaves. You make your own rolls. Very tasty. The best part were the last two dishes. The udon and the thai suquet. Wonderful. Both of them are an explosion of tastes in the mouth. Perfectly executed, sufficiently spicy, served very hot. Those plates deserve a Michelin star. As dessert, we took the chocolate cream and lemon pie. I was quite disoriented by the lemon pie which is not a pie but frozen lemon cover filled with lemon custard and soft meringue. Not so special. But the chocolate cream was another masterpiece. The cream is actually a very dense gianduja chocolate ganache, served with a spoon of very thick salted caramel sauce. I usually dont take chocolate deserts but this one was the one that made me change my mind. We definitely recommend and just thank the waiter for his service and friendly smile. We will come back.

Had the tasting menu! Was a little pricey but at the end of the meal it felt validated and worth it. Every dish was delicious. Usually at a tasting menu there’s at least 1-2 clear dislikes but I enjoyed every single dish here.
Jordan S — Google review
Excellent, very very good and the real motivator here for 5 stars is the price. Was able to get completely full with wine and dessert for $45. Super reasonable for a 1 Michelin star restaurant.

Incredible! This was one of our best experiences in Barcelona! The food was unreal, delicious fusion flavours and brilliant cava & wine to match. Service was attentive, informative and the atmosphere was spot on. Not pretentious. Worth every penny. Thank you for our fantastic experience!
