Highly recommend booking in advance and choosing a tower visit if you can — the views add another layer to understanding Gaudí’s vision.

We had a guided tour. We don't normally do this but in this case it was necessary. The guide was informative amusing and personable. As for the Sagrada Familia itself, quite simply WOW! It was everything we had been told and so much more. The explanations of Gaudi's reasoning for the various aspects of the design brought the whole building into focus. It is truly an experience. The company we used was The Tour Guy. If all their guides are as good as ours you cannot go wrong. It may seem costly but IMHO it's worth it.

Very cool architecture! They still have a ton of work they are doing lot of scaffolding. If you want to go in get tickets weeks in advance no chance day of there are just way to many people! Had a ticket for tower but unfortunately it was to windy! Such an amazing place!

It’s honestly mind-blowing to think how something so complex and beautiful could be designed and is still being built after more than a century. You can easily spend a long time just walking around, discovering new details in every corner. If you want to take great photos and enjoy the view without being surrounded by huge crowds, I definitely recommend coming after 10 pm. It’s much quieter, and you can really appreciate the beauty and scale of the building. An unforgettable experience and an absolute must-see in Barcelona.

Well-made audio guide and efficient organization at the entrance. The house is wonderful, allowing you to fully discover Gaudí’s art. The ticket is a bit expensive (€36 for the Silver route). By choosing the Silver ticket, you also get access to the terrace with its colorful chimneys. Overall, a positive visiting experience.

Visiting Casa Batlló was one of the highlights of my trip to Barcelona. Here you can see Gaudí’s creativity up close- the flowing shapes, colorful mosaics, his vision and talent in every detail. The house was redesigned by Antoni Gaudí in the early 1900s for the Batlló family and is a perfect example of Catalan modernism. Every detail — from the wavy staircases to the vibrant tiles — is inspired by nature. The rooftop, shaped like a dragon’s back, offers great views over Passeig de Gràcia. I booked tickets online (around €30–€35) and still waited about 20–30 minutes to get in, so I’d definitely recommend buying skip-the-line tickets or going early in the morning. Inside, the audio guide is fantastic and really helps you understand Gaudí’s vision and his use of light and ventilation in every room. It’s busy, but completely worth it. I am not big fan of this type of art or architecture however it was an unforgettable experience.

There was additional information on QR scans, but some were very difficult in the inside of the rooftop, if not impossible to scan due to the low light. Still, very enjoyable. Rooftop views were good, but instead of the black wired fences, they used glass fencing, the views and photos would be just amazing.

The audio guide was excellent and really helped me understand the architectural innovations and history behind the building. The rooftop views of Barcelona are breathtaking, especially at sunset. Everything was well organized and staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely one of the must-see Gaudí masterpieces in Barcelona — an unforgettable experience!

Fascinating place if you appreciate design and architecture. I booked my ticket online with fast entry option. You can take a souvenir photo towards the end of the visit at one of the beautifully decorated windows overlooking the street (paid & worth it).

Cute designs! The experience is much different from the view on YouTube. I ended up buying a book to learn more about all of his buildings. To the surprise of the ignorant me 😶 Catalans respect time much more than French and Italian. Unlike the Louvre or Palazzo Pitti, reservation time slots are very honored. We missed ours and we had to wait for another hour for an empty spot. I wished Antoni designed something for the rain though, so that residents and tourists could enjoy their time when it's pouring 😄 waiting for the rain to stop at the moment. Best time for photos

Historical & Iconic & Landmark Building This is one of the most iconic Building done by Gaudi. If not the MOST iconic. I visited it a few times and always enjoy it. What is amazing is you can visit it ten times and each time you will discover something new. The view from the roof top are also amazing! Highly recommended visit, by us.

It’s one of those places being packed with tourists but one just has to visit. Beautiful and cozy apartment on the top floor, and then a museum on the attic, topped by a stunning terrace. Worth visiting especially in order to pay tribute to Gaudi.

The buildings are great, but you can see them from the street, from the main entrance, so it's not worth buying a ticket. It's true that the park has other beautiful places than the well known Gaudi's buildings, but we wanted to visit it for this only reason and we left disappointed

If Gaudi knew his masterpieces would be turned into a tourist trap THIRSTING for money, he would be disgusted. I bought the tickets. Had an accident, couldn't attend exactly at the time that I had scheduled the tickets. They couldn't do anything. Not even get me a discount. Come on, do better. Ok, bought new tickets. The park is interesting, Gaudi never misses. Is it worth it paying 18 euros? Of course not. Stand outside the gates and you will see 95% of everything worth seeing. The workers are unprepared. There are so many nice things to see in Barcelona, if you don't have a lot of time, don't bother coming here.

Beautiful park with many nice views of the city and its surroundings. It’s good not to rush the visit and take your time to explore it. A must do when in Barcelona if you want a break from the busy city life, however the main entrance can be incredibelly packed with people.

Well it is worth the visit, but there are way to many tourists and can get quite annoying sometimes. The park is a little bit complicated and confusing, but still very interesting. The mosaics are wonderful and you can chill in the sun and also make some nice pictures. I do recommend to buy tickets online in advance

This is an extraordinary building. Set in the Gothic water. It has an entry in one of the side streets. It has a lovely exterior with some amazing sculptures, but this is only a small introduction to the extraordinary interior. The acoustics which are wonderful are benefited by the entire ceiling and much the walls being tiled. The back of the stage is also tiled with extraordinary torsos of women coming out of the wall, playing instruments and representing the arts. The two sculptures on either side of the perineum are amazing but the highlight is the multicolored lead light glass center over the auditorium. Its vibrant color and intricacy is astounding. We were fortunate enough to get tickets to see a pianist and it was a wonderful concert. There is a cloak room to the left of the main stairs in a newer section of the Theatre. The men’s bathrooms are downstairs, and the female facilities are upstairs. Definitely worth making the effort to visit this extraordinary building.

Absolutely mind blowing and stellar venue for such a small footprint. We did the tour and then also went to see a concert the following night (ABBA) and it was absolutely awesome. Other than small/old chairs, this venue is outstanding. The acoustics and art covering literally every surface make it an amazing audio and visual experience. The history behind it and the tour is also well worth the ~$15-$20. (Like apparently every museum or tourist site in Spain, be advised that the tech / app / audio guide is finicky and deeply not intuitive, if it works at all.)

Incredibly beautiful, ostentatious, ornate concert hall. I can't say I've ever been anywhere quite like it. We did the audio guided tour - it costs 22€, which is pretty steep, especially since the tour only takes 50 minutes and you have to take your own headphones. I'd still recommend it though, because the palau is small but not to be missed, and the audio guide is well written and produced with lots of interesting history about the venue, its architecture and interior design.

A beautiful space for musical performances. The sculptured walls, the ceiling... It's hard to look at the artists when there's so much more to see! My only issue was the tiny amount of space in the side boxes - my knees were cramped against the wall the whole time.

We hadn't planned to visit the cathedral but as there as no queue we bought a ticket and went in and are we glad we did! The roof top view was amazing. The cathedral itself is impressive too but the rooftop view stole the show. Would recommend a visit

If you are visiting Barcelona, this is definitely a must! The outside of the Sagrada Família is huge and very detailed. You can take some really great pictures and videos if you find the right angles. We were part of a private tour with only 9 people including us, and our tour guide did a wonderful job explaining the history and process behind building the cathedral, along with the symbolism of certain parts of the building. I heavily recommend you also pay for a tour as well, because it was interesting learning about the cathedral. The inside of the cathedral was even more jaw-dropping than the outside, as the colored window panes casted beautiful rainbow all around the interior. The architecture and structure of the cathedral was so complex and impressive and I definitely recommend you take time to just look around at your surroundings and see everything for yourself. There is also a museum and a gift shop you can visit at the end, and I bought two pencils, a mini replica of a colored window pane, and a pin to add to my back pack. You should definitely come here if you want to be in awe!

A beautiful exterior. The whole area ( called the gothic region) had amazing buildings. We don’t go inside ( there is a €16 entry fee) but walked around the whole area. There were street performers and interesting shops. A place you must see if in Barcelona’s.

We really enjoyed our impromptu visit to the cathedral. Being up on the roof was great! Amazing views...we could see the whole of Montjuic from the roof of the cathedral, out to the beach area and all across the city. There was also a VR experience as part of visit...that was very cool. We were also fortunate enough the be there at the time of the festival of corpus christi ...it was fab to be able to join in part of the open air mass and then watch the parade that happened through the city. Amazing to see how another culture celebrate faith and community

I LOVED this cathedral. It's classic Gothic style, versus Sagrada that's very artsy and new age/different IMO. It wasn't busy at all, and I went on a Saturday afternoon. The basic ticket includes the rooftop visit. Plus, the outdoor area is so beautiful. Definitely take a peek when you're here!

Beautiful dominant cathedral. In the afternoon it is beautifully illuminated by the sun's rays. The square is full of people, which is something to be expected in front of this beautiful building. We had not bought tickets, we came to the cathedral by chance. We returned again on Saturday and there were also antique stalls in front of the cathedral.

What a genuinely amazing time we had at Parc Güell! Seriously, if you're looking for a beautiful spot in Barcelona, this is it. It felt less like a monument and more like a colorful, sunny playground designed by a genius. My wife and I spent a wonderful time just exploring the winding paths and those cool, cave-like structures. It's so easy to just find a quiet spot and enjoy the moment together. But the views? Man, they are unbelievable. The main terrace, with that famous wavy mosaic bench, gives you a perfect panoramic shot of the entire city stretching right down to the Mediterranean Sea. You can clearly see the Sagrada Família poking up through the buildings, framed by Gaudí's crazy architecture. We even hiked up to the Three Crosses at the top for a true 360-degree spectacle. It's beautiful, fun, and just a great place for a couple to spend a morning or afternoon soaking up the best of Barcelona. Definitely grab your tickets and go!

One of Gaudi's first project. As you stroll through house you have to be alert to the signs so you stay on the correct route through the home. Be sure to go up to the roof and down to the basement.

Another great gaudi building. Surprisingly this lovely palace is located so close to la rambla. Gaudi never disappoints, an easy walk through from roof to stables with great design & workmanship a visual treat on every level.

The interior and exterior looked completely different. The central dome was designed to create the effect of a starry night sky, and the beautiful woodwork, ironwork, and stained glass decorations inside were elegant and delightful to the eye. The view from the rooftop was especially stunning, offering a magnificent sight of the Sagrada Família, the Cathedral, and other landmarks in the distance.

A lovely outing overall, though I must admit I expected a bit more from the interior. That being said, what remains of the original structure has been beautifully restored and really showcases the historical charm of the building. The preserved architectural details are impressive and clearly maintained with care and respect for the building’s heritage. While the interior space may be somewhat limited in terms of exhibitions or furnishings, it still offers a unique glimpse into the past. It’s definitely worth a visit, especially for those interested in architecture or history. Even though the experience inside was a bit more modest than I had anticipated, I still truly enjoyed the stop and would recommend it to others looking for a short but meaningful cultural visit.

I opted for one of the early time slots and the vibe of the house was very chill compared to places like casa mila or casa batillo. like most of Gaudi’s work, the house is PACKED with details. take your time and remember to look up - even the ceilings are full of detail! would definitely recommend visiting!

This was a wonderful historic site. They did an excellent job restoring two floors of the home. The tour is self guided so you can explore at your leisure. They have multilingual audio tour you can enjoy as you enter each room. It was sad to see that the upper floors were painted white and no effort was made restore them.

The intricate sculptures and statues of saints are both beautiful and inspiring, telling stories of faith and devotion across the centuries. Built in the 14th century by the people of Barcelona’s Ribera district, this church was funded and constructed by ordinary citizens, not royalty or nobles. Walking through its nave, you can feel the dedication and pride of the community that raised it, stone by stone. A fire destroyed the Baroque decorations, leaving the interior simple and uncluttered. This cathedral took my breath away. It honestly is not the fanciest or the most elaborate in the area, but learning the story of how this church came to be was incredibly interesting. This is the church of the people, built by local peasants that were no longer welcome in the Cathedral de Barcelona. It took 60 years to construct. Over the front doors there are peasants carrying the blocks and stones which the cathedral is built from. These stones were quarried from Montjuic. Not having much money or equipment the peasants brought the bricks mostly on their back. The labour and love that went into this building meant a lot to me. It is an incredibly gloomy and dark cathedral, very different to the more elaborate cathedrals in and around Barcelona. We sat and contemplated this church and took it all in. It was a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone in the area. The entrance is 5€ but if you go after 6pm it is free. If you are on a tight budget.

Scenic & Spectacular Arc de Triomf If you are in Barcelona this is definitely a must visit place for you. It is one of the most iconic Monument in Barcelona. This square is always frequented by both locals and tourist. It can get quite crowded. Note what I like about it is that it still feels quite local somehow. You will not regret visiting it is very grand.

Absolutely a landmark you should visit and admire as part of your trip to another destination (like getting lost in the gothic quarter, or on your way to the Museu Picasso, or on a hike to La Barceloneta). There are lots of people who will let you pay them for food to feed their birds (which is fun, albeit fleeting for a euro). Beautiful structure!

Vibrant place, easy to access no wait time, no ticket purchase was necessary, activities and stalls, near walking distance to Parc de la Ciutadella, surrounded by many restaurants-cafes-public transportation. I liked it more than Paris Arc de triomf because it offers more than just the view of the monument.

Our accommodation was only a 15-minute walk from Camp Nou, so even though it wasn’t part of our original plan, we decided to visit. Unfortunately, our travel dates didn’t match any match days, but it was still worth walking around the stadium, and especially visiting the official Barça merchandise store. Some people say there’s no need to come all the way here because the Barça stores in central Barcelona are cheaper and easier to access. But I disagree. This place is HUGE. A three-story building with practically everything you could imagine. You can find classic replica kits like the 94–95 away jersey, as well as Nike Dri-FIT official sponsor versions. There’s a wide variety of caps, bags, and other accessories too. The staff were all very friendly. You can even see Messi’s autographed jersey and captain’s armband. If you want, you can buy the replicas, just for €2,999.99 and €1,999.99 respectively. There’s also a café and a nice rest area, so if you’re visiting Barcelona and a football fan, I highly recommend stopping by this legendary place. + You can find drinks with Barça packaging for more generous price at supermarkets in the city center.

Very nice experience. The interactive museum is well made, got to see many iconic items on display. Thought not very big still a nice tour especially if you like the FC Barcelona team. I highly recommend you book your tickets before arriving. Also, better to book an early time visit as the line and waiting time tend to get longer.

I’ve seen some complaints, but honestly -the stadium’s under renovation, not a secret! What did you expect, a VIP tour of cranes and concrete? The real magic is the feeling of Barça itself , the history, trophies, jerseys, and spirit. The interactive legends show gave me chills, and Messi’s iconic celebration against Madrid next to his golden shoes nearly broke my heart . Paid under €100 for two tickets Worth every cent. Such a fun and lively market! You can find all kinds of food here fresh fruit, juices, snacks, and tapas. I tried the strawberries with Nutella which is quite safe and they were delicious! The caramelized peanuts were also amazing. I wouldn’t really recommend the empanadas though they tasted a bit old. But overall, it’s a great place to wander around and you’ll definitely find something tasty to try!

Many people are trying food and drinks enjoying the products. Most of the nuts and dried fruits stalls offer samples when you walked by. Despite the vibrant color and varieties, we are skeptical to try. Juices and dried fruits color are so vibrant suggesting food colouring might be used. Given the summer temperature the cooked food are all pre-packed and placed in room temperature counter, not really feel very hygienic for bacterial growth. Worth a visit however we did not buy anything from there.

A hidden gem of Gaudi’s architecture, buried in a quiet upscale residential area of the city, with fee tourists. We booked an 11 AM tour, and were the only two people to show up so we ended up with an hour long private tour of the castle. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I would strongly recommend Bellesguard, as in addition to the fascinating history and the beautiful architecture, you are likely to get some of the best views of the city from the top of the home.

Worth the Metro ride (L7 green line) around 4Euro for single journey, took around 30 minutes to reach Vallcarca stop then around 30 minutes to walk to the Property it is open Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Great way of escaping the busy city, around 12 of us visiting!

A little out of the way but so worth a visit! Beautiful building, with all the usual attention to detail from the famous architect Gaudi. It was very quiet, unlike most of his centrally located buildings.

I was completely unaware of Torre Bellesguard (also known as Casa Figueras) when I first visited Barcelona last autumn. Having bought Rainer Zerbst’s wonderful book “Gaudí, The Complete Works” following my visit, I learned about Torre B which, by many, is regarded as the proud Catalonian Gaudí’s most patriotic undertaking. However, surprisingly, there seems to be very little information available about this comparatively small country house, located in a quiet residential area quite far from Barcelona’s city centre. Both this lack of information and publicity, and the effort one has to make to travel to the area (it’s a 20-30 minutes walk, much of it uphill, from the nearest Metro stop, unless you want to splash out on a taxi) might explain why there were only few visitors on a sunny day in early May. Obviously though, the quiet surroundings only added to my pleasant visit to Torre B and made a welcome change to the horrid cattle markets that are famous Casas Battló and Milà. Of the different types of visits bookable on their website, I had opted for the €12 self-guided audio tour and found it good value for money. It gives access to the pretty gardens and a small number of rooms within the building itself. I very much look forward to returning to Torre B once restoration work is complete and more rooms are accessible and hopefully furnished as they would’ve looked when occupied by the Widow Figueras, after the house was completed in 1909. As it is, what can be seen of the interior is a delight from the moment one steps into the gorgeous little entrance hall with its wonderful pendant light. Following the staircase up and up, past the glorious stained-glass windows, marvelling at the parlour’s spiderweb-like rib-vaulted ceiling, one reaches a somehow familiar-looking attic. Gaudí’s typically complicated looking brick arches are beautifully illuminated. Torre B’s crowning glory is, of course, it’s roof which doubles as a viewing platform, affording panoramic views of the city all the way to the Med. There, you will also find one of Gaudí’s typical, four-armed, mosaic-covered crosses. Spoiler alert: If you’ve been looking out for Gaudí’s beloved lizards, you will love the huge and kindly-looking dragon this clever architect has designed for and integrated in the roof structure. Between strolling through the peaceful gardens, viewing the interior of the house and enjoying some time on the roof, I spent just over one hour at the property. It was time well spent but, as I mentioned above, I would love to return once the restoration is complete. The friendly lady at the reception booth said, it might be as early as autumn 2026. I would like to think that more information and photographic images of the interior of the house post-completion would be available by then. It states on the property’s website, that a dedicated research group is busy compiling such documentation, and my wish is, that the property owners would then collaborate with the publishers of the wonderful Dosde series of books that features the individual Modernist buildings open to the general public. It would make a wonderful addition to my cherished collection.

A fantastic experience. We did the audio guided tour and, which was a great choice. The audio was engaging and had lots of details whilst also not being too long. The guide that let us in the tower was very friendly and let us wonder around quite freely. We went early in the morning and had the tower almost to ourselves to explore, only having two other people there at the same time. It’s definitely a great way to get to know a bit of Gaudi’s work whilst also avoiding the busy of his most known locations. 10/10

We visited the Picasso Museum in Barcelona hoping to dive deeper into the life, influences, and artistic journey of this endlessly creative artist. Having previously visited the Picasso museums in Paris (the largest collection worldwide) and Málaga (his birthplace), we were excited to explore Barcelona’s museum - the very first dedicated to Picasso and the only one opened during his lifetime. The location is great: nestled in the heart of the Gothic Quarter, with its maze of medieval streets and charming atmosphere. The museum itself is a beautiful blend of history and modernity, recently renovated but still housed in stunning medieval buildings, complete with magnificent staircases, stone walls, and ornate facades. Honestly, the architecture alone is worth the visit... The collection is well-organized and thoughtfully curated. We loved discovering some of Picasso’s very early works, including a breathtaking First Communion painting - incredibly impressive considering he painted it at just 15. The transition through his different periods is clearly displayed, from his first portraits to the Blue Period and the early explorations of Cubism. The collection is not overwhelmingly large, which in my opinion is a plus (you can comfortably see everything in about two hours without feeling rushed). Personally, I found the Velázquez-inspired “Las Meninas” variations absolutely fascinating, especially the large-format piece - a true highlight of the visit. I also appreciated the series of works inspired by his time in Paris, a recurring theme that shows the lasting influence of Cubism on his style. We were also lucky to catch a temporary exhibition dedicated to Francoise Gilot (French painter, long term partner of Picasso, and mother of Claude and Paloma Picasso) with some of her own art on display (drawings, watercolors and a few ceramics), as well as pieces connected to Claude Picasso and the family, a touching and insightful addition to the experience. Overall, this museum is well worth visiting, whether for its architecture, its intimate but rich collection, or the chance to gain a clearer understanding of Picasso’s early work and evolving artistic phases. A must if you want to appreciate not just the art, but also the context and influences that shaped this iconic figure.

Great art and story telling. Well presented. Clean and well maintained facilities. Staff are all courteous and well informed. You can buy tickets from 9AM to 2PM if you want to visit on the same day, same hours. After that time tickets normally are sold out. It's recommended to get the tour with the audio version to appreciate the experience more.

I absolutely loved Picasso. And if I may dare to say this, I loved it more than Prado! It was very easy to understand Picasso's progression of thought and art work as he grew in life. His works evolve from simple sketches to advance arts and there is certainly a reflection of his life's events impacting his art works. The audio guide worked well, though I really wish audio guides would somehow simply start narrating based on the position we are in...instead of us trying to locate which painting the audio guide was referring to. Anyhow, the audio guides worked well...and we're actually quite interesting.

We went twice before getting access and then swing time at the opening time (we were the first in line!). Now, I do have mix feelings for this museum… not all painting are available, it’s a great way to know more about Pablo’s life, his family and the way his life experience changed the way of painting and creating art. Not a big place, but take the time to enjoy it (get an audio guide system).

This hospital located in Barcelona is very beautiful to admire from the outside already. We considered going in (apparently there’s some info about the history of the hospital,etc) but we considered entry ticket to be a bit overpriced (17 euros!) We decided to learn about it on our own and just admire the facade. Amazing architecture, details, colours. It was easy to get there and it didn’t take long to see.

This hospital is 15 the century creation by architect Montaner. It is really a great piece of architecture typical of Catalan modernism and also inspired by neo Gothicism. This hospital is the largest modernist complex of all Catalan architecture and it's a world heritage site.

We were fortunate to catch the Magic Fountain show on our last night in Barcelona (Thursday it also runs on Fridays and Saturdays). We arrived around 8:30 pm and found seats on the benches opposite the fountains. If you’d like one of the popular spots on the museum steps, I’d suggest getting there earlier, but our view was still great - even standing closer to the fountains worked well. The pre-show began around 8:45 pm, with the main show starting at 9 pm and lasting well over 30 minutes. It was much better than I expected, with lights and water dancing to popular soundtracks. There was a lovely family atmosphere all around. Totally recommend catching it if you’re in Barcelona on one of the show nights!

One of the most amazing spectacles in the world! A must see on any sight seeing agenda! It has just reopened, after 3 years of drought restrictions, and renovations, and it is now back with a bang! I saw it on Sunday night to mark the finale of Barcelona’s festivities, when over 110,000 people came to watch the show, snd what a wonder it was to behold! Over 3 hours of the fountain dancing to music and lit in beautiful colours, and then a 30 minute fire work display to top it all off! This was a truly magnificent sight, mesmerisingly beautiful and truly magic… will i be back… yes i will…😀

Walk to the very top in front of the art museum, fantastic view across the whole city ! , I think the fountains are only turned on on certain days as both times we visited they weren’t turned on, so worth checking, it’s best to visit this area at dusk to late evening to get a great view, it’s not too steep to climb to top for the best view as there’s outdoor escalators most of the way up ! Although some of them weren’t working

Finnaly is this Fountain working. Shows every fryday and saturday from 21h (on October) and from 20h from November- December 2025. Beautiful show. Must see. I recommend to come 30 minutes or one hour after the start of the show, because many people leaves and this time and you have better view with less people.

The fountain re-opened recently. We visited mid Oct 2025. Great and fun experience - One hour of music and a dancing fountain. It was fun, and a nice activity. The show is on Thu-Sat 9pm-10pm.

As with all things in Barcelona, beautiful architecture and detail in the buildings and monument. This is by the sea front at the harbour. We didn't go up the monument as we were heading out on a boat trip around the coastline and harbour, which was only a few yards away. There are lots of beautiful buildings in the area too.

Absolutely stunning monument in Barcelona! Christopher Columbus pointing towards America towers over the Harbour. There are usually markets around and it's a very festive area to visit.

After you’ve walked down and explored La Rambla, which is a must do when visiting Barcelona you’re presented with this statue monument to Columbus

This massive tribute to Colombus is worth checking out. Lots of detailed panels, lions and sculptures are incorporated into this monument. Time of day you visit will affect angle at which you can capture the front of Columbus. Lots of other things to see within walking distance of the monument as well.

Very beautiful ✨ not much to do near the monument unless there’s a bazaar nearby but it is a lovely area to stop by especially on a nice day with nice weather ⛅️

A very enjoyable experience with great views of the whole city. We went fairly early during the day around midday and it was not crowded at all. There were very few visitors compared to Park Guell and other major attractions. The staff were friendly. It’s a shame that access to the climbing structure is charged extra money. That’s the only downside otherwise, I recommend stopping by the tower and going to the observation deck.

Views were very cool. Seeing La Sagrada Familia compared to the rest of the city was eye opening.

The name "Casa de les Punxes", meaning "House of Spikes" in Catalan, derives from the building’s numerous pointed towers. It is an iconic structure that combines the beauty of medieval castles with the innovation of Modernisme design. The building was commissioned by the Terradas family, a wealthy textile business family, and was designed as a single structure uniting three houses for the family’s three daughters. Since 2016, the building has been open to the public, and visitors can climb to the top of the towers to enjoy stunning views of Barcelona's beautiful cityscape.

Encountered this building unexpectedly while walking in Barcelona. It’s beautiful architecture with lots of decorative detail. Built at the beginning of the 20th century originally as an elegant residence, it’s very nicely preserved and maintained. The details on the windows and balconies are especially striking.

I could just see it from far because I didn't have time to go just for it but if I have a chance the visit Barcelona again I want to see it closely. Even from far away it was looking fabulous and unique

It costs 13€ but if you are student you have discount and the price is 11.50€ you can pay with credit card. It is one of the best museum in Barcelona!!! It deserves the ticket's price. I recommended it to everyone!

This was a fun museum with doors that opened by tthemselves during a timed audio tour. The rooftop was beautiful with the different towers. A small gift shop downstairs with options for souvineers. Also there is a cafe downstairs with indoor and outdoor seating.

I went to there for an ENT emergency, I had a referral from CAP. The waiting time was quite short. As I entered the door, there was a diva of a guy having breakfast on his desk and 2 girls standing next to it. I thought they were on a break or something. Who were those people? They asked me to have a seat, and the girls did some exmimation while the guy kept eating. No hi, how are you, they didn't bother hearing from me how my symptoms were that day, they just read from the referral. After a while the guy joined the efforts and did not fail to note that the device he was using was apparently sh!t (his words) and he couldn't see anything. I cannot say anything about the quality of the treatment they gave me, but I can say that none of them looked like they knew what they were doing or like they cared. The icing on the cake was that they gave me an invalid medical prescription because they forgot to add the stamp. I don't know what happened, I've heard very positive things about this hospital. I guess I was unlucky with this particular team.

I was there for a gynaecology emergency (while i was in holiday) and everyone was really nice and professional, even if i speak broken spanish. Most of them spoke really good English! Nothing to complain! The hospital looks great also!

The best hospital in Barcelona. The attitude towards people and the medical staff are at the highest level. Everyone speaks English. They admitted me with burns and I am very grateful to the doctors for what they did. This is truly the best institution. I have something to compare it to. Thank you very much for your work

I had a terrible experience at this hospital. They seemed to prioritise Catalan-speaking people and repeatedly told me to go to another hospital. After a heated argument, they finally accepted me as I spoke Spanish, but I had to wait almost 5 hours. They insisted that all the doctors were busy and unable to help me. I eventually decided to leave and go to another hospital as they wished. This is unacceptable! I'm feeling even worse and highly stressed trying to seek healthcare and see a doctor.

*****Do not go to the hospital if you are a tourist. My young daughter visiting Barcelona had a bug bite that became infected (my husband who is a doctor told her to go get seen ASAP). I spent an hour on the phone with my insurance to get her authorization to be seen there. The moment she walked in not speaking the language she felt they were not going to take her serious. She waited 8 HOURS and they consistently took others before her. She decided to leave after 8 hours because she was traveling and needed to catch her bus to next destination. Hopefully she will not get worse before she can get to a different hospital. After she left I checked the reviews and wish I would have saw them before sending her there!

I'm so lucky to be followed in this hospital, incredible bunch of empathic and professional staff, that do everything in their power to guarantee that you'll have a very good experience. I can only talk from my experience from the endocrinologist and cardiologist departments. When I had to stay there for 4 days, I was blown away with the food quality and the possibility of choosing, also the room was very spacious, with a private bathroom and it was only shared with another person. Looks like a fancy modern hotel more than a hospital, incredible!

Very big crowd, no sunbeds, you have to watch out for pickpockets and thieves, not my style unfortunately. The beach has fine sand, which is great, and the water is also beautiful, regardless of the fact that it is a city beach and that the port is not far away.

Nice beach but the people selling things would not leave us alone :( be ware of a guy selling coconuts - he kept coming back to us and started a conversation each time, he seemed friendly at first but got aggressive when we kept declining his coconuts

Came here at dawn so we didn't touch the sea nor there was much crowd. The atmosphere was calm and the air fresh. A perfect place to watch sunrise from the middle of the ocean, they built some convenient decks to do so.

One of Barcelona’s most iconic and energetic spots. Unfortunately, we are. Unfortunately, we visited off-season, so swimming and sunbathing weren’t possible, but it was still a lovely place for a walk and to enjoy the sea view.

Accessible beach by different means of transport ,a lively atmosphere all day long ,a good place for a stroll or a swim .no sunbeds ,only umbrellas ,it's overcrowded but you can find a spot .it has a great view ,nice but expensive beach bars .

We visited in October so it wasn't that full, but there were still a lot of tourists. It is nice, but not something out of the ordinary. I do not recommend to eat/drink on a terrace there, it is not worth your money, instead dive in the streets nearby, you will find a few good restaurants

A beautifully restored and colorful old hospital. The atmosphere is great, and it’s fascinating to see what hospitals used to look like back in the days. Many of the buildings, rooms, and offices have been restored and can be visited. Lemon and lime trees grow all over the place, very charming and peaceful place (these days). An unusual place, I enjoyed it ☺️

This is one of Barcelona's hidden gems that you absolutely must see. The hospital complex is an exceptionally well-preserved architectural and artistic masterpiece, featuring beautifully maitained interiors and a charmin exterior with gardens and orange trees, palms... It's definitely a visit you will never regret.

From the outside it already looks great, but once you get inside — you see it’s much more than just a nice courtyard. The buildings are beautifully restored, with colorful mosaics, stained glass, and vaulted ceilings that feel more like a palace than a hospital. We didn’t use the audio guide — just walked around by ourselves — and still found it totally worth it. There’s a recreated hospital room from the 1920s, underground passages between the pavilions, and a calm atmosphere away from the usual tourist chaos. If you’re into architecture or just want a break from the crowd — this is a great spot. Quiet, spacious, beautiful.

i had a wonderful visit. very well organised and beautiful place. i got a free visit (so no guide of any kind, just walking around for as long and where i please), and in some areas especially towards the end there was no english translation on the written plaques. otherwise wonderful place, wish it was more well known

Visited only because it is 15 mins walk near Sagrada Familia. Not good not bad, but once after visiting Sagrada Familia, this looks very average and there are much less tourists. Prefer spending your time in a cafe rather than visiting it, unless you are really interested. Or just have a photo without entering it. Consist of 7-8 buildings but only half of them are opened, not much to see and the chair are pretty dirty, i rate this 6/10

Do not miss this amazing complex. Gorgeous architecture and craftsmanship plus so much more. I see this hospital complex, built in 1905, as a tribute to the importance of caring for all citizens. The gift shop is full of delightful tributes to Moderisme.

Sublime. I loved it. The building is a masterpiece housing the art of Miro. Friendly staff, peaceful atmosphere to view and contemplate. Lovely stopping points, lockers, freedom of movement, great gift store and library. Didn’t want to leave. I caught the bus there..so easy and cheap..great ride.

Visiting the Joan Miró Museum was an unforgettable experience. The artworks are absolutely stunning, full of life, color, and imagination. You can feel the creative spirit of a true legend in every piece. The whole atmosphere is inspiring, and every detail is beautifully arranged – from the lighting to the open spaces around the paintings and sculptures. Everything is interesting here, even if you weren’t familiar with Miró’s work before. It’s a place where you want to stay longer, explore every detail, and absorb the artist’s energy. An exceptional collection, excellent organization, friendly staff, and a wonderful sense of harmony. Definitely one of the best places dedicated to modern art!

Very nice curated collection of Miró. The stuff is very friendly. Has student discount. Make sure you have time to see it because the views are also amazing. Nice museum store. Very spacious and the artworks are not crowded. After this you can take the Teleferic to the mountain.

Amazing and well-organised gallery space, really nice outdoor areas with a great mix of works on show. Adult tickets are €15 each. Definitely worth it. Good cafe and shop too. 100% worth the visit, as it’s also near the botanical gardens, archaeology museum and Catalan art museum. I think this place is on the tourist bus trail.

A lovely and charming gallery it is! The open space is impressive. Perhaps due to my rather dull nature, I don’t resonate much with Miró’s art, but one must stay open-minded to allow for growth in aesthetic perspective 😉. Some of the works do bring joy just by looking at them.

A stunning museum with a phenomenal collection. You will greatly enjoy visiting it. One of my favorite places in Barcelona. There is also a café at the museum where you can have a glass of wine and a snack.

A true disappointment! I visited this place 20 years ago and had the modern art experience of my life. This time I brought my 18 yo daughter. Miró in USA!! No explanations of how to enter the Miró universe, no audioguides, just art right away and texts about who was friend with whom. Who is responsible for destroying an entire exhibition??? Luckily ChatGPT came to help. Still love Mirò though, will come back.

If you want to go to a less crowded park than the ciutadella park, this one is the right one. It's a small, labyrinth designed park that is a little bit far from the center of Barcelona but worth a visit.

Visited this park today & am still absolutely apalled at its condition & the attitude of the workers. Unfortunately as we got there, they told us the labyrnith was under renovation, but since we travelled over half an hour to get there we thought we could still enjoy the rest of the park, & paid the 2.23eu entry. What a mistake; the whole park was under construction, either closed off or impacted by the noise of drills & yelling workers - it shouldn't even be open, let alone charging people! I'm not even sure with the full labyrinth there that it'd be worth it, given how small the plot for it is. The park is generally poorly maintained; I'm not sure a garden designer has stepped foot in the place. It looks like they grabbed some green plants & slapped them on some soil, & haven't bothered to clean or maintain it since. There's graffitti, & animal poop, & algae all over the water, & the statues & buildings could all do with a power wash; the water features don't even seem to be working properly. It has to be the worst park/garden I've ever been to, & to charge for it is a crime. We walked around for half an hour before we went back to ask for a refund. The short bald man & old heavy lady there made no attempt to communicate with us, & just kept pointing at signs in Spanish. I showed him photos of how disgusting the park was, & it he defended it. When my partner even tried to use written translations on his phone, this guy actually got out of his little booth & tried to physically threaten my partner, despite being two heads shorter than him. Those running this park should be ashamed of themselves. To those considering visiting, save yourself the trouble & avoid it!

We stumbled upon this on our first day after we arrived in Barcelona. It is chargeable about €2.00pp apart from Wednesdays and Saturdays I believe. Absolutely stunning buildings and fountains dating back to 1800s. I do have to say we thought there was a maze and waterfall but the maze is being renovated and the waterfall has dried up as there has been a drought for a long time now but worse in recent months :( Apart from that a beautiful place to take a lovely stroll in nature 🌿🪷🦋

The park is good overall but the specific area is under construction. Also a good picnic spot with benches and tables . A little playground with slides for kids. If you are coming on car Parking is available. With the price of tickets worth it. Palau del marqués d'Alfarras is also along the park it's free but only open on Wednesday and Sunday. You need to take an online appointment before visiting. I hope it helpful.😊

Good place to stroll for individuals and families to take a breather and get away from the noise from central Barcelona. Next to Campus Mundet - Universitat de Barcelona. Some gardens and infrastructure inside are still under construction and are closed during the weekends. Public toilets are clean, well maintained and open during weekends. Entrance fee is about €2 per person and can be paid at the gate entrance. Staff are courteous and friendly.

Very nice architecture

A small unimpressive basilica that seems nobody cares. It's simple and very neat. A good place for worshipping as it is quiet and tourist free. The amazing thing for me, as a visitor passing by, is subir the bell tower, to the tip top, and get 360° stunning views, for €8.

I don’t care about religion at all, in fact I thinks it’s generally pretty terrible. BUT as far as getting a 360 degree view of the city, this is unreal and well with the 8euro. The 270 stairs are split up by floors to check out the bells but the view is the best. No screens, no barriers just a fantastic view of all of Barcelona. Highly recommend going up.

We were able to get the tour in the winding stair case up to the top of tbr bell tower. It is an amazing place well worth the visit.

My family we had the most amazing experience the best experience of the trip to Barcelona,seeing the basilica from within and to the rooftop with we had a breathtaking view of the city through the almost 300 steps we had to use to reach the top, amazing.

Went to Luminiscence at Basilica de St Maria del Pi. 6pm show/digital music. It's an incredible light show with audio depicting the history of the church. Absolutely beautiful! Doesn't matter where you sit, you'll get a great view/show. The basilica is a gorgeous church, with intricate details. And then adding the detailed light show - Absolutely amazing. Don't miss when in Barcelona. These pics are beautiful on their own. Wait till the show starts!

I was a solo traveler when I wandered into this beautiful cathedral in 2022. It was November, and I happened to be the only person there, quietly taking in this smaller gem of a cathedral in busy Barcelona. I was feeling a little lonely and sad, thinking about my dog of 17 years who had recently passed. It was a cool day, and I sat in a quaint little courtyard on the side of the church when a sweet grey cat came over and kept me company. In that moment, I decided that when I returned home, I would adopt a cat. I came back to Barcelona last month, three years later, and guess who I saw again? I learned her name is Lucy, and she lives there. Lucy, I am so grateful to you. You are the sweetest. I now have two lovely cats at home because of the comfort you gave me that day. If anyone visiting or from the cathedral happens to see this, please give Lucy some extra love from me and my kitties.

For only 8€ you get entrance and access to the top of the bell tower which has a better view than the Cathedral of Barcelona. Definitely recommend and to top it off there’s two friendly cats in the garden you can pet.

If you're an architect geek it is recommended just to see an icon in person. If you have the spare time and want to take in some modernist approaches to open-room communal space give it a go. If you're looking for a gift for an architecture-connaisseur the gift shop will sort you out. But if you don't care about either, you can always take in a moment of peace and contemplation, just walk around the place and take it in without having to go in.

Architectural + historical must see when in Barcelona. Don’t expect to much if you’re not into design or architecture. If you are into it’s definitely worth visiting. Tickets are very affordable + you can learn something about pre world war movements & how modern architecture started branching.

A fantastic architectural structure that was way ahead of its time. The contrast with other buildings built nearby for the same International Exhibition in 1929 is especially striking. I am glad that this Ludwig Mies van der Rohe Pavilion was reconstructed in the 80s, and we can admire its light geometric forms. On the edge of the pool there is a sculpture, its curves contrasting with the clear lines of the building and repeatedly reflected in the water and glass. The famous Barcelona chairs are also here. The Pavilion has a nice souvenir shop where you can buy things in the aesthetics of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe's architecture. There are few people, the place is very quiet, creating a meditative mood.

It’s a very interesting house. People that like the bauhaus school of design will appreciate it. I entered on an open Sunday (every 1st of the month) when it was free. I had a good 5-10 minutes of looking around. The house is kind of tiny, so don’t plan much time for it. Also, I am not sure I’d be happy with the experience if I had to pay for it. Once again, there isn’t all that much to see. Only its significance related to historic events like the world fair for which it was built makes it interesting to me.

What an utter disappointment. We traveled from across the world to visit the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion and there was an exhibition in the space of someone’s aunt’s old furniture upside-down. Literally, sofas, sinks, tables, etc. attached to the ceiling, on the walls, and attached to the floor. I cannot believe this was allowed to happen. It totally distracted and covered up the Pavilion itself. It’s like nobody who runs the Pavilion had any notion of WHAT the Pavilion is or the meaning behind it and just let someone schlep their old furniture inside. The beauty is in the building itself but we couldn’t see it because someone moved all their trash into it. Mies is rolling in his grave right now I’m sure. Literally awful.

Visited on a relatively quiet Tuesday in September. Had an architecturegasm and left. I mean, there's a book shop that I'm sure is lovely, but I didn't visit. TBH I was a bit skeptical about visiting, cause who wants to live in a glass box?! ;-), it hurts to admit it but it's amazingly good. I walked around, shared some knowing looks with other middle aged men and took more photos than I'm comfortable admitting to, then returned to tell my long suffering wife all about it.

Nice rebuild of the German Pavillon of the world exhibition 1929. Some explanations sound over interpreted in my opinion. However a must see in Barcelona if you are interested in architecture.

The house was under renovations when we went in October 2023, it’s located at the end corner of the park; was very lovely to see, park too was very beautiful. More lovely architecture if that’s your thing. I would definitely recommend checking it out. There’s no cost to enter the park or see the house.

A space maintained by the university with minimal entry fee. The main attraction is the Gaudi dragon gate, though the rest of the garden and stable areas also held our interest. We took time to watch the informational film. Lovely toilet facilities, though some other spots looked ready for an upgrade.

The Pavellons Güell are several buildings in the Pedralbes neighborhood. This is also the work of the architect Antoni Gaudí. My wife and I looked at these wonderful materials and details from the outside. The door is a wonderful creation. The wall and the gate alone make it worth coming.

You get two Gaudi buildings and the other side of the gate. 6€ per person so not really worth it, but nice garden for the kids.

I just hope the municipality will use the 5 euros I paid, to restore this site. It’s so frustrating that they charge visiting this place just because Güell brand sells...there’s literally nothing to see inside.

Opening hours 10:00-16:00 (in winter to 15:30). Dragon gate is amazing. Inside are stables and garden.Both in bad condicion.You can also find a crane which was used during Pedrera construction.This pleace definatly needs to be renew.By this time its better to admire the dragon gate only from outside.

i wish i liked this place more. i liked the concept of it, but i found very little to explore during my visit. i decided to come later in the day, because i had lots of other things planned in the morning and this was opened later. i had my ticket already purchased online, it was date-specific, and at the gate i was told the monastery was closed for a private event, so we couldn't visit that and the area surrounding it, which i found odd. i didn't know prior to my purchase this aspect. the artisans have mostly left by then (i got there at around 16h) and it felt very empty. i expected to appreciate the architecture, which i did, even though it had a slight tacky feeling. there were lots of english signs with explanations. the art museum was really wonderful, i loved the collection presented.

Stopped here during our Hop on Hop Off. I saw the pictures of the umbrellas & just had to see it! You have to purchasea ticket to enter. I believe it was $15 just to enter & freely walk around. We went on a Friday & surprisingly wasn't crowded. No line for tickets & once you're in is a huge place to walk around. Lots of stores were artsy & craft things which was really cool. Got a handmade purse that I used for the rest of the trip. Lots of restaurants around too. The buildings & architecture are just amazing! The area is a lot bigger than it looks from the outside!

I love the festivals in here💯 I’ve been here so many times and it doesn’t disappoint. Don’t miss visiting Poble Espanyol even if there is no event there. The alleys are exceptional and you can enjoy walking by beautiful stores and cafes! I’m looking forward to the next festival in here to go🤞🏻

Google maps will tell you this is open till midnight, and while it may be, they stop renting audio guides after 7 pm (no online audio guide option) and many of the shops, galleries, attractions and restaurants close. It was still fun and interesting walking around the village, and finding an open restaurant to sip wine and people watch, while waiting for the magic fountain (nearby) at 9 pm. The reason for the 3 star review was the ticket agents provided misinformation (saying only one of the several restaurants was open - we saw 3 food trucks, 2 restaurants, a bar?, and a coffee shop open) and the paper map had audio guide numbers but not much other info on the buildings.

Recommended if you are a family, a local who cannot travel throughout Spain, or a tourist who does not have time to travel all over Spain. If you have traveled all over Spain, it is not particularly interesting. If you have time to waste, it's best to visit when it's free: La Mercè, 48h open house bcn, etc. But you'll have to wait for 1-2 hours! Signs explain the different buildings and provide information about the regions represented. They regularly have themes (e.g., Halloween), but I recommend visiting without these themes to fully admire the Spain represented.

Absolutely loved the places and I appreciated knowing more about how and why the built such a beautiful place ! I'm glad they kept pushing through for the project to come out so beautiful. I especially liked the animation FIESTA, it's so moving (emotionally). Nevertheless, some parts of the place need to be replaced by more modern animation I think (like the feel Spain Mediterranean animation and Don Quijote.

Good way to spend a couple of hours getting a bit of Spanish culture. Plenty of English language explanations of the exhibits, especially if you pay a bit extra for the audio guide (€20 cash deposit). Includes a modern art exhibition with exhibits from big Spanish artists, which is worth a visit. Only negatives, the main square was taken over by a large tent for an event, which got in the way, and the large scale commercialisation with shops and restaurants (not particularly good ones from our experience either) packed into the buildings. Still worth a visit though, and as you're into a bit of architecture don't miss Mies Van Der Rohe's Pavilion which is a 10 minute walk down the hill.

i visited this on a saturday evening, when it is free. wonderful collection and the scenography is BEAUTIFUL!! i felt really inspired. it really captured the beauty of the art presented, and has a logical narrative thread you can follow to understand the ins and outs of the story the art tells of Spain and Catalunya. i edpecially loved the scenography of the religious art, very nice mise en scene with the church silhouettes, it was much easier to understand. only minus was this section had no english explanations. i also enjoyed the gift shop very much, the items available and the organisation of it

The building sits onto of montjuïc, with beautiful panoramic views across the city. Breathtaking museum with great architecture. Sometimes they have free entry into the museum, so worth keeping a look out for that. Even if you don't want to enter the museum it is definitely worth going to the entrance. You can sit on the steps & enjoy music good vibes & open a beer 🍻

Great museum in a beautiful building. Really impressive collection of Romanesque wall paintings. Exhibitions are very well designed and most of the information is in Spanish, Catalan, French and English! Only thing I would add is some good marking to sync between the rooms and PDF guide, because now it's hard to follow if you don't go exactly step by step with it. Very good cafe inside the museum in a beautiful aula. Will visit again!

A must-see museum in Barcelona. The art pieces are beautiful, refined and distinct with Catalan culture. I love both the fine art floor and the modern art floor. The furniture collections by Antoni Gaudí and other designers are exquisite, masterpieces.

A must do. If there's one museum you should visit in Barcelona, it's this one. It covers Catalan art from every period of history. The room with the church ceilings is very impressive and unique! I recommend visiting when it's free: Sundays after 3 p.m.! It took me approximately 3 hours.

Ok, here's my guide to visiting MNAC: get down at Plaza de Espanya and walk directly towards it. The stairs and the view upfront are the best part for me. The tickets were too expensive for me, but there was a free entrance day (last year, the last sunday of the month had free entrance or something like that). It's a good art museum, but I was more shocked by the architecurre

It’s an enjoyable experience with a lovely atmosphere. The view from the top is fantastic, and the photos you can take from the teleferic are amazing. To get there, take the metro from Catalunya to Paral•lel, then walk through the station until you reach Parc de Montjuïc using same metro ticket, where you can catch the teleferic. You'll need to buy tickets for the teleferic at the ticket office there, and if you plan to explore inside the castle and go to the upper levels, you’ll need separate tickets for that from inside. However, if you just want to enjoy the surroundings and the castle from the outside, there’s no ticket required. Make sure to soak in the weather, atmosphere, and stunning views while you’re there!

Montjuïc Castle is definitely worth a visit, especially for the breathtaking 360° views over Barcelona and the sea. The site is very well maintained and easily accessible — you can reach it by bus 150 from Plaça Espanya, by cable car, or by car. That said, as a castle, I personally expected a bit more. While the open spaces, walls, and viewpoints are beautiful, I felt it lacked historical exhibits — things like weapons, artifacts, or photographs that could bring more life to its rich past. A little more storytelling would make the experience even more engaging. Still, the location is fantastic, the views are absolutely stunning, and it’s a great spot to wander, relax, and take in the city from above. Entry is free for Gaudí Més members, with discounts available for children and seniors over 65. In short: not the most content-heavy castle, but for the views alone, it’s a must-see in Barcelona.

Uhnn... The place is amazing. The views are hard to match. The fort (it's a fort, isn't it? Why do they call it a castle?) is very beautiful... but definitely not worth it the 12€ to get inside. Again, the location is amazing though. You can easily get there with the bus, 151 if I am not mistaken. When I went there during La Mercé 2024 there was an amazing comedy performance going on. Those guys were INCREDIBLE. And the organization of the event was flawless.

A must visit location if you are in Barcelona. You access the funicular to the ticket station from any metro and then take the cable car up the mountain to get best views of the city. The tickts to visit the castle was free. Wether and view from the castle terrace was amazing. There is a small food cart inside for a drinks and snacks

Visited Montjuïc Castle — definitely worth it for the amazing views of Barcelona and the sea. I took a taxi up for €13 and came back down by cable car (€12.5 one way). If you just want the experience, taking the cable car either up or down is enough — the view is fantastic both ways. There’s also a small café/restaurant on top, so no worries about finding food or drinks. A great spot for sightseeing, photos, and relaxing above the city!

Definitely worth a visit. The ride up in the tram is beautiful and the castle itself is impressive. There’s only an hour or two worth of stuff to look at but the whole “birth of the metric system” thing alone makes it a cool spot. Also…there’s a random naked woman statue at the top and the sign basically says “we chose this statue because why not”.

Nice breath taking views of the city from here. You can see Barcelona city on one side and the airport and the harbour on the other side. I visited this place using the cable car which was equally good.

This is the highest point in Barcelona. That is why it is worth visiting this place. We decided to go up to the cathedral by funicular. To do this, we took the V15 bus to pl. Kennedy. According to Google maps, there should be a funicular (or tram) from there, but there are rails there, but no cars. Instead, there are two buses: 196 and another one, which replaced the funicular. The bus took us to the lower station of the large funicular. The ride on it was a pleasure. You need a separate ticket for it, it is not part of the city transport system. The funicular only runs until 18:30. We bought tickets there and back. The funicular takes you to the amusement park, behind which is the temple. It is huge, majestic, consists of a lower and an upper church. You can go to the very top of the building by stairs, for free, but you can also take the elevator. It costs 5€. We were accompanied in the elevator by a very friendly and kind elevator operator. The elevator has three levels: the first level is called the crypt, but it is at ground level, the second level is the main interior of the cathedral, and the third level is the platform at the top of the cathedral, from where you can go up the stairs. From there you can see all of Barcelona and its surroundings. With your ticket you can go up and down. The view of the city is insanely beautiful!

Gorgeous architecture both inside and outside. You can go up the side for free, and pay €5 for the elevator up to the top. At the top, there are stairs to keep going up to the tallest point in Barcelona. Absolutely stunning views, I thoroughly enjoyed.

Such a wonderful surprise. It is a beautiful and serene church on a hill. PS- Please be vary of the tourists who make their way to the top of the church and block the entrance and exit in search of their perfect Instagram moment and make it tricky to get up or down the top of the church. They had a beautiful choir in the Chappel in the evening. Definitely worth the trip.

I felt greatful able to attend the Sunday mass here. It's situated on top of Tibidabo hill overlooking Barcelona. Its construction began in 1902, inspired by devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The temple features an impressive "bronze statue of Christ" atop its central dome, arms outstretched over Barcelona. Inside, colorful mosaics and stained glass depict biblical scenes, while the crypt below exudes a more intimate atmosphere.

I did a 2:30 hike and ended here. Wow very cool spots and the nature to get here is stunning!! ❤️ on the way down we toon the funicular and then a train. Very very nice. It’s free to go inside

A really beautiful church, in my opinion one of the most beautiful in Barcelona and with the most beautiful location for sure. It looks wonderful from the inside, but even more powerful from the outside. Beautiful detail with Jesus on top of the church and the church is literally on two levels which I have never seen before.

Love this place, definitely pay the 5 euro to take the elevator up to the terrace. The terrace is beautiful with amazing views of Barcelona, and the surrounding area. It’s only a few more flights of stairs to reach the top of the tower for even better views. The church is at the top of Mr Tibidabo, it’s easy to reach via funicular or by driving up the windy roads. Last to I was here I rented a scooter and loved the drive!

Absolutely a stunning market in the core of Barcelona. The colors were so vibrant with amazing food at every turn. The sandwich was exceptional. The crispy thin bread reminded me of Florence..but better?

A beautiful market with lots of fresh local produce, meats, and seafood. The quality is great and the experience is worth it. Perfect spot for food lovers and photographers!

Just found this spot before my flight for a quick meal but this became a huge discover for me. Pizza is super delicious and also staff is so friendly and warm. Just eat pizza with 4 cheese and dough also the toppinga are top quality. Pizza is making right in front of you in open kitchen consept really decent place for try and also service is soo fast.

Delightful mercat for fresh seafood, ham, cheese and anything else you’d want for a picnic. I went specifically for sashimi and shrimp. That shrimp was delectable and so big it was like a mini lobster. Scallop, salmon, and tuna are also worth trying. Don’t bother with the oysters. It’s grainy and tastes like murky dock water. They provide toothpicks, but I recommend bringing your own chopsticks and wet wipes. Spent ~€42 for all that seafood. It was more than I needed for one person. No regrets (except for the oysters). There’s a lack of seating unless you go to one of the restaurants or bars to eat. Otherwise there are a couple of benches inside or outside, but not a lot. Also no washrooms unless you go to an establishment.

Fresh market located in cool neighborhood of EL BORN. I love this market. They are renovated in new architecture covered their vintage look food and vegetable stalls. Fresh food / vegetable / meat products are sale here in reasonable price. Most of buyer are locals and not too much tourists. Restaurant inside the market are also good. All of them accepted credit card. You need the receipt for the restroom in the market.

Really good and big variety of food, but also a really big crowd. I would skip the fruit smoothies and get some ham and cheese 100%. Be patient and look around and you will find same products for a smaller price.

We love a local neighborhood market. Skip La Boqueria unless you’re craving chaos and overpriced juice. Santa Catarina is where locals shop and things don’t come prepackaged for Tiktokers. Here, we had several types of olives cheese cured in olive oil, and frankly, I still think about it in quiet moments. It was sharp and silky, Neighborhood market vibes. No frills, no tour buses, just flavor.

It was my first time watching an opera (I watched "Anthony and Cleopatra") It was a nice experience and the place is stunning! I loved every bit of the play and definitely recommend it if you are an opera fan 😍

We went with our family to see the ballet at the Liceu, and it was an unforgettable experience. The theatre itself is absolutely stunning — full of history, elegance, and perfect acoustics. The atmosphere made the evening feel truly special. The performance was magnificent, both technically and emotionally, and the orchestra added so much depth to every scene. The staff were friendly and helpful, and everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. It’s wonderful to have such a cultural gem in the heart of Barcelona. We left deeply moved and inspired — we’ll definitely be back for future performances!

The Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona is a must-visit for any tourist, regardless of the performance quality or your familiarity with the repertoire. We watched Hammer 🔨 and to be honest it was the best dance performance we ever watched. I would like to congratulate Alexander Ekman and the Gothenburg Opera Dance Company (GöteborgsOperans Danskompani) for their great show. In a great theatre 🎭 “an awakening show” and for sure it’s a “must to see”!

This place is so iconic. And definitely must visit if you are visiting Barcelona and seeking for some cultural experience beside of exploring art and architecture. Every time I go there for an opera visit they never disappoint!

Building of the local government and region of Catalonia. On a beautiful square, and across the square is the city government building. Certainly more beautiful during the day than at night.

Interior is only open during National Day of Catalunya. The facade is worth a look, along with the gargoyles on Carrer del Bisbe. The Palau de la Generalitat de Catalunya houses the offices of the Presidency of Catalunya. The original building was purchased in 1400. In 1596, Pere Blai designed the current principal façade on the Plaça de Sant Jaume, in the Renaissance style, one of the only remaining examples of Renaissance architecture in Spain. The four dark granite columns surrounding the main entrance were originally sculpted in Troy and brought first to Tarragona on the occasion of Emperor Hadrian's stay in the city in 122 AD.

Very noisy as there was a demonstration. There is a good variety of food and drinks places all around a la fresco. Close to the Jewish Quarter. I'd definitely recommend if you want a different space to experience, though not as picturesque as others.

Beautiful government building with lots of history. Take the free tour if you have a chance. Book it online in advance. It’s very informative and less than an hour. There’s not a lot of time for any questions but it was enjoyable nonetheless.

Free access on 09/11. It is a great place worth visiting. It is very well maintained. Many of the most beautiful parts are available to the public.

Government of Catalonia, you can visit on specific dates or book a guided tour on the weekends what is better because there is not so many people. Recommended building to see, historic building.

Wish we had more time to explore this beautiful historical landmark. Open to the public during designated times. Rating on the beauty and elegance of the exterior and building in general.

A splendid marvelous piece of art and architecture. Glorious! Nice view once you get there. Worth walking and taking the stairs all the way up there. However, it is accessible from the upper side without the hussle of the stairs. There are some electric ones, though.

Very grand palace, I didn't go inside though; they were closed during my visit hours. There are escalators beside the stairs if you need them, and also plenty of spots with shade when the sun is too much. There is a small outdoor cafe at the top by the entrance, a little overpriced but amazing views. There are incredible views all along the ascend, from the road by the towers up to the gates.

A pleasant surprise to us. It's a good place to spend some time even if u are not a big art fan. 2Euro basic ticket can get u to the beautiful terrace which is very worth of it.

A chic place. I recommend it to everyone if you have time. On Fridays after 3 p.m., admission is free, but I recommend registering in advance.

This was a true masterpiece of art and construction. Pictures can't give you the feeling of magnificent beauty untill you visit. Very clean, easily accessible and hard to determine which view is better, day or night!

Great museum, but Madrid's Prado museum is the best! Here are less famous and impressive paintings. But my God, what a spectacular place! Museum is on the Montjuic mountain with breathtaking views on the whole city! ❤️❤️❤️

Built for the Barcelona exposition in 1929, it was decided not to demolish it but keep it as the museum. It’s a beautiful building. There a quite a lot of steps to get there, though some stages are serviced by escalators.
