Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona is a luxurious hotel offering top-notch dining options and chic bars, along with a spa and a rooftop pool. The spa draws inspiration from Chinese medicine, featuring treatments like acupuncture and meridian massage. Additionally, the menu includes diverse therapies such as the Barcelona Spring treatment, incorporating local ingredients like sage and olive oil. With its elegant interiors by Patricia Urquiola, this 120-room hotel exudes grandeur.
The rooms were fantastic, I love the arrangement and how comfortable it is. Shower was so relaxing it was challenging to leave the shower. The view at the top of the hotel is breathtaking. Beds were very comfortable, a balance of soft and firm to get a perfect night of sleep. The food was prepared exceptionally, love trying the Spanish cuisine with the different types of meats. Pastries were fluffy and baked to perfection. Every member of staff were very welcoming and polite. It created a nice joyful environment. So easy to get to nice restaurants over the town and see some markets selling local Spanish food. Also only 20 minutes by taxi away from the airport so very easy to get to. Overall everything was beautiful and it will be a memorable experience if anyone comes here. Suitable for anything whether it is business or a place to relax.

An unforgettable stay at Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona❤️. From the moment I stepped into the hotel, I felt embraced by the entire team. The reception went above and beyond to ensure I had the best room possible - quiet and peaceful after my long trip. Manager Paul, Elizabeth, and the whole team took the time to understand my needs and immediately made sure everything was taken care of. The handwritten welcome cards, the beautifully prepared Basque cheesecake (their signature specialty), and the elegant “Welcome to Barcelona” chocolate plate were truly touching and absolutely delicious 🤤 The hotel and the suite itself were exceptional — modern, with beautiful artworks and gorgeous furniture, yet deeply connected to Spanish culture. The bathroom featured luxurious amenities, the minibar offered an impressive variety, including yogi teas and every kind of drink I could imagine. The bed gently embraced me into the most comfortable sleep. I also had the pleasure of experiencing the outstanding room service team, who completed my dry cleaning within just a few hours in the evening and returned it with a delicate touch of lavender☺️. The breakfast team noticed every detail, creating a personalized and relaxed morning experience with a wonderful selection of healthy and delicious dishes👌🏻. Even during a busy city demonstration, the doorman went out of his way to help me with my luggage and car when access was restricted. Choosing this hotel means experiencing genuine care and comfort from A to Z.☺️❤️. You don’t even feel like leaving the property😄, yet its location couldn’t be better — right in the heart of the city, surrounded by Barcelona’s best restaurants, shopping. Every moment felt personal, thoughtful, and sincere — an experience that goes far beyond accommodation. Thank you to the entire team for creating a true home away from home in Barcelona. ❤️

I found my new favorite spot because of a single drink: their hibiscus tea. I'm not exaggerating when I say it's the best I've ever had. The tea is the perfect balance of tangy and sweet, incredibly refreshing, and you can tell it's made with high-quality ingredients. It's not just a drink; it's an experience. I could honestly sit here all day sipping on it. It's that good. Beyond the tea, the atmosphere is chill cozy and the service was very friendly.

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the entire team at the Mandarine Barcelona. You made my stay feel comfortable and thoughtful from the moment we arrived. Every detail was handled with care and every staff member we met showed kindness and professionalism. Special thanks to the ladies at breakfast for taking extra care of me and Katarina Room is spacious, hotel is super clean, concierge service is super.

A super hotel! Hidden away between shops, this great hotel has lovely suites that will ensure you have a comfortable stay. We had the Sunday brunch at Blanc and it was a feast! The selection of dishes was wonderful. Service is also great and drinks were regularly topped up as plates were refreshed. The rooftop pool is best place to chill out after a day of exploring or shopping. And you have to try a few cocktails! The airport car transfer service was seamless.

Had a fantastic, just simply amazing breakfast service and the food and the AMAZING HOSPITALITY - Alberto especiall was extremely impressive and accommodating. So was the other staff also very memorable. A full 5++ Star, I 100% reccomend this establishment without any hesitation. Lovely atmosphere and from the front door lobby to the main dining restaurant what a lovely experience. Hats off team.

My stay at the hotel was comfortable and exceptional from the first moment. The reception was elegant and warm, and the services were of high quality with prompt responses to any request, making me feel that my comfort was their top priority. The hotel’s location is ideal—close to key places while also offering the tranquility needed to relax. Breakfast was varied and delicious, but the best part was starting my day with smiles I saw every morning 🌷, which added a special brightness to my day and filled me with energy and optimism.

Fantastic, fantastic & fantastic! The service here is absolutely purrrrrfect. Always positive, extraordinary attention to details… follows up on every request or question with intelligent, thoughtful replies. True professional hospitality… special thanks to concierge Elizabeth and restaurant Blanc on the 1st floor to Maria and Ekterina… total comprehensive and classy style. We’re coming back!

The Cotton House Hotel, Autograph Collection is a luxurious hotel located in a 19th-century landmark on Gran Via. The hotel boasts elegant quarters, a rooftop pool, and refined dining options. The property exudes grandeur with original Belle Epoque features such as a cotton-flower-shaped chandelier and marble staircase. Designer Lazaro Rosa-Violan has added irreverent touches to the opulent setting, creating a unique and stylish ambiance.
Feels like a five star hotel, but much cozier than a typical Marriott or Sheraton. I stayed at other autograph collection, hotels, and different countries and so far this was the best I got upgraded to the Egyptian room with a huge closet. Everything inside the room felt like a top quality , and location is great.
Amber B — Google review
We stayed at the Cotton House Hotel for over a week and absolutely loved our time there. The room was beautiful, the staff were all incredibly kind and attentive, and the hotel itself is stunning—elegant, quiet, and full of charm. We especially enjoyed the outdoor terrace restaurant and the rooftop pool, which had a beautiful view and was the perfect place to unwind. The location couldn’t be better—central and walkable to so much. Highly recommend this boutique gem in Barcelona!
Andrea B — Google review
I stayed here two nights post cruise. The location is outstanding for seeing all of the main sites. The neighborhood is safe and easy to get around by foot. It has incredible restaurants within a 10 to 15 minute walk. The hotel itself is spectacular. The rooms are impeccably appointed, the bed is some of the best sleep I’ve ever had, and the service is outstanding. The concierge, the bartenders, the front desk were all amazing and went out of their way to assist. I was upgraded to a Cotton room—gorgeous, luxe, and a balcony. If you are a Bonvoy member, this hotel is not to be missed.
Angela K — Google review
My experience at the Cotton House was absolutely wonderful, thanks in large part to the amazing staff. Reyes made me feel incredibly welcomed from the moment I arrived—always greeting me with a warm smile, remembering my name, and going out of his way to assist with anything I needed. Ivani was also kind and helpful, adding to the overall welcoming atmosphere. I was grateful to be upgraded to a stunning room with a balcony overlooking the peaceful courtyard. The hotel itself is gorgeous, impeccably clean, and has such a stylish and relaxing vibe. Breakfast was a highlight—delicious and fresh, with eggs cooked to order, a great buffet spread featuring avocados and fresh fruit, and refreshing detox juices. The location was ideal—peaceful and just far enough from the busy tourist areas, yet still close enough to walk to all the action. It was quick to arrange taxis when needed, which made everything easy. Highly recommend staying here—especially as a pre-cruise stop. I couldn’t have asked for a better start to my trip!

This was the BEST service we ever received at a hotel. Everyone on staff was so professional and quick to respond. The biggest thing that surprised us was how much they cared about their customers’ satisfaction. Upon arrival, there was a tiny issue with our room (it was truly tiny). We pointed it out to the staff and not only they fixed it immediately, they left us a bottle of wine, box of chocolates, and vouchers for free drinks at the bar as an apology. Wow! We felt so touched to see that surprise in our room! Additionally, the restaurant was extremely accommodating both times we were running late for our plans in the city. They got us food IN TEN MINUTES knowing that we’re running late to an event. Who does that? We were amazed. We will be back and we will recommend this outstanding place to all of our friends!
Anastasiia P — Google review
A Deeply Disappointing Experience – This Is NOT a 5-Star Hotel Travelers beware: this so-called 5-star hotel is anything but. During our stay, hotel staff mishandled our luggage, dropping three bags onto the floor — two of which were visibly cracked, and a third left with a damaged zipper. Instead of acknowledging the issue, they offered no apology or compensation. Even more appalling was the hotel’s complete mishandling of our clothing. Despite providing clear, written instructions and labeled tickets requesting dry cleaning, the staff sent over $4,500 worth of garments to standard laundry service — effectively ruining several delicate and high-end items. When we brought this to management’s attention, their response was astonishingly unprofessional. Rather than take accountability, the hotel manager attempted to deflect blame onto third-party cleaners and ultimately refused to accept any responsibility at all. This kind of dismissive attitude is inexcusable — especially from a property that claims to uphold five-star service standards. As if that weren’t enough, our room — allegedly their “best suite” — was underwhelming to say the least. It featured a single proper bed and two sagging sofa beds, both of which collapsed inward at the center. This setup felt more like a budget motel than a luxury hotel. Five-star ratings aren’t just about fancy lobbies or big names — they’re earned through quality service, professionalism, and guest care. On that front, this hotel earns a zero. It was a disappointing, frustrating, and costly experience. Avoid this place unless you want your belongings damaged, your concerns ignored, and your expectations shattered.
Pilar L — Google review
Reyes and all front desk staff were fantastic. Everyone was friendly and very helpful. The rooms and hotel are beautiful, clean, and in great condition. The location was convenient and a short walk from everything. Staff and hotel are undoubtedly 5 stars. Would highly recommend.
John — Google review
The hotel is absolutely beautiful with a rich history, especially the Ottoman’s suite we had! Eduardo at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful all while doing training with an intern, Dev. A pre-arrival email was received from the hotel with restaurant suggestions which was a nice touch for planning our trip. Prior to our visit, my boyfriend mentioned would be there during my birthday. We received a lovely surprise in the room upon our return from my birthday dinner. Thank you so much for making my birthday memorable!

Wedding venue
Hotel Arts Barcelona offers refined accommodations in a luxurious setting, with a variety of rooms, suites, and apartments. The 44-storey building provides stunning panoramic views of both the city and the Mediterranean Sea. Originally built for the 1992 Olympic Games, this hotel boasts spacious rooms, two pools, close proximity to Barceloneta Beach, and a world-class spa with exquisite facilities including a hydrotherapy pool and treatment cabins.
Hotel Arts Barcelona is absolutely stunning a true luxury experience. From the moment you arrive, everything feels elevated. The rooms? 10 out of 10. Beautifully designed, super clean, and incredibly comfortable. The beds are like clouds, and housekeeping keeps everything immaculate fluffing pillows, straightening every detail, and making sure you’re fully at ease. The hotel itself is flawless from valet service to room presentation. You can tell they take pride in creating a premium guest experience. I truly can’t put into words how comfortable and peaceful this stay was during my vacation. The only area that could use a little improvement is the food it’s not bad, but I would’ve loved a bit more flavor or variety. That being said, it didn’t take away from the overall stay. One moment that really stood out: my back went out during the trip, and the hotel had a direct connection to a doctor who came right to my suite. Yes, there was a charge but the convenience and care made me feel rich in spirit, and truly cared for. If you’re visiting Barcelona and looking for top-tier service, comfort, and elegance, I highly, highly recommend Hotel Arts. It’s a five-star experience in every sense.

Our stay at Hotel Arts Barcelona was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, the customer service was exceptional, truly the best we’ve experienced. We were even upgraded to a beautiful room that was modern, spacious, and very comfortable. The shower was excellent, and every detail made the stay feel special. The pool area is stunning and relaxing, with great views and easy access to the beach just steps away. The food was delicious, with plenty of variety and quality that impressed us at every meal. Overall, this hotel has it all: luxury, comfort, location, and outstanding service. We loved our time here and can’t wait to come back.

We stayed for a week and absolutely loved it! The room was nice and had a great view. I appreciate the attention to detail with contemporary flower arrangements, clean architectural design and artistic elements. The hotel is set along a beautiful beach with a large fish sculpture and marina. We especially enjoyed the rooftop pool. Great service and many restaurants in the area to choose from. Looking forward to our next stay!

The great location, really pleasant and clean rooms, but the things that make this such a good place to stay is the Hotel ambience, welcoming staff and food. All of the people are incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice. We travelled with two kids, and they enjoyed it like anything. This was one of the nicest places we ever stayed in Europe. Well done, Ritz Carlton and Marriot(5/5). Special thanks to Duty Manager, (sorry I dont remember her name) for supporting us on time for the best room upgrade with sea and city view, which made us feel better throughout the stay. See you soon. Thanks, Venkata Pavan ALAM

Best hotel, coming second time and never disappointed. After renovation hotel looks even more luxurious and beautiful, amazing design! Everything was top notch, room was pristine, quiet and cozy. Fantastic sea view, good location. My husband really liked prosecco in the lobby :) Girls in the reception and concierge were very friendly and polite. There are a lot of security guards which is good, makes you feel safe and secure, no random people can get in. Can’t wait to come here again.

Beautifully renovated rooms in a high end art deco style. The staff was very attentive from the front desk to the coffee shop and the bar - especially our bartender (Mario I think was his name…?) the outside areas are a bit disappointing but hopefully will be updated soon as the hotel has been going through renovations.

Nestled in a neo-Gothic mansion, Monument Hotel is a premium accommodation offering modern amenities and exceptional service. Its central location provides easy access to Gaudi's architectural marvels, upscale shopping, and fine dining options. The hotel boasts stylish rooms with exposed brick walls and balconies overlooking Gaudi's La Pedrera. Guests can enjoy the rooftop pool and terrace bar while indulging in gourmet dining at the Michelin-starred restaurant overseen by celebrity chef Martin Berasategui.
This is an absolute gem of a hotel. The staff are all amazing, helpful, courteous and most of all full of smiles. The rooms are ultra cool and have a loft apartment feel the bathrooms have top notch fittings and amazing showers. The breakfast buffet is small but has lovely fresh produce and a menu for beautiful cooked eggs. All in a a brilliant place to stay. Would recommend to anyone.
Stewart L — Google review
This is definitely a luxury boutique hotel (smaller than you think, not a large hotel) that is designed well and is super modern. The best part of the hotel without a doubt is the staff. Everyone I came across was great, friendly and willing to help. That is quite rare. The rooms are really nice, spacious (we had the family suite, 2 rooms and was absolutely massive). My issue though was they were a little dark (not much natural light) and there is the underground train below (you can hear even from 3rd floor) so every minute you'll hear a rumble. It may not bother everyone, but for sensitive sleepers it might. So be aware of that. The breakfast was great, food quality good and the terrace quite tight, but also quite well put together. Overall 4/5 for me!
Andy B — Google review
The location of this hotel was perfect, and both the concierge and housekeeping teams delivered excellent service. Unfortunately, my check-in experience left a lot to be desired. When I arrived, the front desk agent was holding my passport and still managed to enter my name incorrectly. She then told me I was at the wrong hotel. I calmly explained that I was certain I was in the right place and provided my reservation confirmation. After reviewing it, she suddenly found my name on a printed list that had been sitting there all along. Without acknowledging the error, she handed me the paper and continued the check-in process—no apology, no accountability. I couldn’t help but wonder why she was so quick to try to send me elsewhere. While I tried not to let my mind spiral, a simple apology would’ve been the professional and respectful thing to offer. To make matters worse, a couple who arrived after me was checked in and headed to their room before my own check-in was completed. After an exhausting 8-hour flight and multiple Ubers, this lack of professionalism made an already long day feel even heavier. This experience was disappointing, especially considering how great everything else about the hotel was. First impressions matter, and this one unfortunately missed the mark.

What an amazing and outstanding hotel. Right in the middle of a beautiful busy high end shopping street. Surrounded by wonderful restaurants and tapas bars. Spacious rooms with great balconies and lighting. Delicious food and cocktail. Superb staff! Pam took care of us for the week that we were here and she really made sure we enjoyed our stay. Everyone who helped us was incredible and we can’t wait to come back

From the moment we arrived, the staff at the Monument Hotel went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. The doormen were immediately helpful with our luggage, and reception greeted us with a glass of cava while setting my son up with a fun scavenger hunt — such a thoughtful touch that set the tone for our visit. A special shout-out to Alba and Maria for their incredible attention to detail and for making our first stay so memorable. Our room was spotless, beautifully maintained, and reflected true care in every aspect. Xavi, the concierge, was outstanding — he made sure we had everything we needed to make the most of our days exploring Barcelona. Massimino at the breakfast buffet was equally wonderful, ensuring our meals were exactly as we ordered. The breakfast itself was spectacular — a perfect start to each day of our travels. Every member of the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed, from remembering our names to greeting my son with a high-five each time we came or went. These small gestures truly made a big difference. I can’t recommend the Monument Hotel enough — it’s a perfect blend of luxury, warmth, and impeccable service. We can’t wait to return!

I stayed at a hotel in a prime location on Carrer de Gràcia in Barcelona. I had initially considered booking the Mandarin Oriental, but after reading reviews, I ultimately settled on this property due to its appealing reviews, reasonable pricing, and the added benefit of being an “I Prefer” Titanium member. Alas, the experience reconfirmed a familiar truth: the calibre of a hotel generally mirrors its price. This establishment is best described as a modest boutique hotel — pleasant, yes, but it falls short of the luxury bracket. On a brighter note, the majority of the staff were cordial, with the concierge demonstrating genuine warmth and exemplary service. Regrettably, my overall impression was somewhat diminished by Bianca at the front desk, whose approach was not only unaccommodating but, on occasion, positively combative. It was largely due to this unfortunate encounter that I found myself awarding three stars rather than four or five.

Hotel Neri is an elegant establishment located in the heart of Barcelona, occupying two historic buildings - an 18th-century mansion and a 12th-century stone palace. The interior seamlessly blends contemporary elements with the buildings' original features, creating a unique atmosphere. The hotel offers 22 individually styled rooms and suites, each featuring minimalist yet luxurious design. Guests can enjoy Barcelona-themed tasting menus at the on-site restaurant and relax at the rooftop bar with a romantic ambiance.
Hotel Neri is a hidden gem in the heart of Barcelona. Our friends were staying there, and we joined them for a few unforgettable days. The location couldn’t be better—tucked away in the charming Gothic Quarter, close to everything yet quiet and peaceful. The atmosphere is refined and intimate, with stylish interiors and a cozy, welcoming vibe. We especially loved the rooftop and the small courtyard. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique and elegant experience in Barcelona.

In the heart of the historic Gothic Quarter, right next to Felipe Neri Chapel…Hotel Neri was a highlight of our trip to Europe. We spent a few nights there post-cruise and cannot speak high enough of the staff and the way we were received and treated. Many already know this, but the jewel and greatest human asset from Hotel Neri is Thomas. He’s warm, kind and will treat you like family. The rooms are elegant, nicely designed and the service is amazing.

We had a wonderful stay at this boutique hotel in Barcelona. The service was fantastic, and the location couldn’t have been better—right in the center of the fabulous Gothic Quarter. The rooms were surprisingly spacious and very comfortable, and it was quiet at night, which we really appreciated. The included breakfast was cooked to order and a perfect end to our holiday!

We have been blown away by the level of hospitality and kindness exhibited at this hotel!! From the warm welcome we received by Thomas our fabulous bellman, to the kind attentions of the restaurant and reception staff. Thank you for going above and beyond in your service and attentions!

We just returned from a 7-night stay at Hotel Neri in Barcelona. Nestled in the heart of the Gothic Quarter, this boutique hotel is a true gem, combining historic charm with modern luxury, which was perfect for our family of 4. We stayed in the Apartment Suite, located just steps from the main hotel building, which was ideal for travelling with two kids. The suite was spacious. It had a well-equipped kitchenette, a living area and a separate bedroom. The rooftop pool was also a hit with the kids, and helped us cool down during the hot days. Location wise, Hotel Neri couldn't be a better choice. We were able to easily walk to most major attractions, including La Rambla, the Cathedral, Ciutadella Park and Barceloneta Beach. Despite being in the middle of the bustling Gothic Quarter, the suite was always quiet and peaceful. It was so nice to just walk around and visit all the wonderful shops and try all the delicious food while enjoying the beautiful architecture. The service at Hotel Neri was consistently warm and attentive. Everyone made us feel welcome and helped with everything we needed. Thomas was amazing! We also had breakfast and dinner at the hotel's a Restaurant, which was exceptional. Overall, staying at Hotel Neri was a key part of what made our trip to Barcelona so memorable. We’ll absolutely return and recommend it wholeheartedly to any family looking for a sophisticated, comfortable, and well-located place to stay in Barcelona.

A beautiful hotel in the Gothic Quarter with top notch service and care, especially from Thomas, the doorman. The rooms were very quiet and there is a rooftop terrace which is beautiful and great to relax after a full day of sight seeing.
Joann K — Google review
We stayed for 2 nights and were quite disappointed with the overall value for money. The price was truly excessive considering the real standard of the hotel. The room was underwhelmingand the bathroom smelled of mold. Even worse, the electric wires of the towel heater were exposed clearly a safety hazard and not acceptable in any hotel, let alone one in this price range. On a more positive note, breakfast was excellent. A special mention to the young waiter who was impeccable, respectful and very professional. Unfortunately, the rest of the breakfast staff lacked courtesy. What upset us the most was the behavior of a staff member as we were walking from the restaurant area towards the reception before departure. We were with our baby, who had been crying and needed to eat his own food. We had simply asked to have it warmed up. As we were leaving, the staff member made inappropriate comments about us to his colleagues thinking we didn’t understand Spanish which we do. The hotel is clearly not baby-friendly, both in terms of attitude and accommodation. We felt unwelcome and uncomfortable during our stay. This is far from what one expects from this hotel. Fortunately, we were just about to leave otherwise, I might have had to remind that guy of the basics of respect and hospitality which he clearly hadn’t learned at home or in this hotel.

Great little boutique hotel on a quiet edge of old town. Gracious, attentive staff with excellent concierge service, one of whom directed us to an incredible Basque restaurant. Small downstairs restaurant and colorful bar with bartender who makes great drinks. Our favorite hotel of the trip-you won't regret staying here.

Located in the vibrant waterfront area of Barcelona, W Barcelona is a modern and stylish hotel offering stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea. With 473 chic guest rooms and suites, this hotel resembles a giant glass sail rising from the beach. The property features exciting dining options, a rooftop bar, a large spa, indoor and outdoor pools, and a private beach club. The design accentuates sea views from most rooms and various bars while providing an ambience of a hip beach resort.
Review of W Hotel Barcelona ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I stayed at the W Hotel in Barcelona last weekend with a friend for a weekend trip, and we had an amazing experience. The view from our room was absolutely stunning, especially overlooking the sea and the city. The rooms were very clean, modern, and comfortable. The staff was super friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, the hotel exceeded my expectations — everything from the atmosphere to the service was top-notch. I would definitely recommend the W Hotel to anyone visiting Barcelona and would love to stay there again!
Zakos ツ — Google review
The W Barcelona is visually stunning—towering sail-shape, steps from the sand, and a lobby that buzzes day and night. We loved waking up to the Med, and the energy around the pool & beachfront promenade is contagious. Unfortunately the polish didn’t extend past first impressions. Check-in ran more than an hour late with little proactive communication. Once in the room, we discovered an already-opened (and pricey) minibar bottle—front desk eventually removed the charge, but only after a follow-up call. Finding breakfast proved a scavenger hunt: signage is minimal and staff at one closed venue simply told us “we’re not open” without directing us to the active restaurant. When we did locate it, the spread was solid—but the detour ate into our morning plans. Room design is sleek, yet the shower’s tile slope sent water across half the bathroom each use. Housekeeping brought extra towels as “dams,” which shouldn’t be needed at this price point. Wait staff for the lounge chairs and cabanas was not great at all. They are happy to talk to each other at the service desk and stare at you. Bottom line: Come for the unbeatable location and vibe, but temper expectations on service consistency. Not in line with other W's I've stayed at.

Booked for 4 nights. Just arrived we got the info that the payed room is under construction (like last minute???), got another room without the payed view. But that is ok. Didnt bother us too much. Yesterday evening I was coming from the hotel gym. My card didnt work. Went to the desk. The young lady was very rude, left me speechless. Asked without any explanation for my ID, looked at me in a way I wouldnt belong there. When I told her I had it in my room as I have been in the gym her reaction was "that is not ok". She was so unfriendly nobody would expect that in front of a guest who pays 400€ per night. It's totally fine to ask for an ID, I like it safe too. It's the way you ask, the way you behave in front of guests. Absolutly unprofessionell. Maybe she would have been nicer if I had my expensive bag in my hand and my dyson curly hair. But normal people dont do that when they go the gym to train. The cleaning time was very nice and caring though.

The manager at the W lounge was pretentious and not nice. The bartender the first night was the same… we had one nice one… I guess I don’t understand places that depend on tourism and at the same time treat us like a burden. We have been in Spain many days and this is where we felt the most unwelcome.. super bummer but we made the best of it. We did love Barcelona… just not the staff at the W! That being said lovely room and view!

This is truly a beautiful Hotel. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure that their customers’ needs are met. I have a room issue and they cleared it up at the end of my stay it took longer than I expected but it did get fixed. Even with this issue the Hotel was top notch, room views spectacular and location the best in Barcelona right on the ocean. I can’t say enough good things. Check out my TikTok review @monicaliveslife, where I show you a detailed look at a room.

Stayed in one of the suites at W Hotel Barcelona and it was amazing! The room was spacious and stylish, with a great view of the beach. My friends and I loved the comfy vibe, the pool, and the rooftop. Just a heads up though this hotel can get super busy, so sometimes it takes a bit longer for the rooms to be cleaned.
Amelia — Google review
One star for the view from the room. This hotel creates a feeling of segregation. Looks like the only job for all staff on the ground floor was to check whether you were trying to sneak into their hotel and their“premium” rooftop. Every time we approached the lift to get out or back to our own room, they would try to stare and judge you, which was rude. You should really go out of Barcelona and the country to see every country has a rooftop facilities… only you think a 20+ floor rooftop is so precious to protect…
Claire H — Google review
Perfect location great view of Barcelona great place to stay if you're going to take a cruise so close to the port beautiful views even though there's no balcony so much to look at for the beautiful views window. The breakfast was a great presentation really good people serving you staff was a little confused how to see us when to see us but otherwise Good vibes. rooftop bar has great menu options. Drink choices are so colorful and pretty really nice views of the city price is decent rooms are heavily traffic. Lots of people lots of party loud hallways maybe not the best for small children but young adults and fun loving adults at any age would appreciate the entertainment atmosphere

El Palace Hotel Barcelona, formerly known as the Ritz, is a luxurious and elegant hotel located in the historic Eixample district. The hotel's opulent lobby features antique furnishings, hand-painted wallpaper, and plush velvet seating. The rooms and suites are named after iconic former guests such as Josephine Baker and Salvador Dali, each with its own unique design. On the rooftop, there is a casual restaurant, a pool, and an outdoor cinema showing classic films at night.
The hotel was excellent — very clean, with a lovely fragrance and extremely kind staff from reception to breakfast and the rooftop. We truly enjoyed the hospitality and service throughout our stay. **However, we were disappointed with Amar, the Michelin restaurant on the ground floor. The food was overly salty and not enjoyable, and despite clarifying, we were charged twice for “extra services.” It was the only place during our trip to Italy, France, and Spain where we felt overcharged. A shame, as we hoped for a special final dinner, but the hotel itself was truly wonderful.

I recently hosted my baby shower at the Palace. I booked the tea experience for a small intimate gathering. It was a unique experience which we all enjoyed very much. The quality of the restaurant and food was great. And the service that the staff provided was exceptional. They made me and my guest feels welcome and it made for a very special night. Thank you Carlos! And everyone who was involved in the event.

My experience at this hotel was truly outstanding. The staff were attentive, capable, and always willing to assist with genuine warmth. The location could not have been more perfect, offering both convenience and charm. The food was exquisite, with every meal thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and look forward to returning.

Visited the bar in the hotel over three nights while we were in Barcelona for a late night cocktail. The hotel is spectacular and very luxurious and stylish. It has a long history of esteemed clients and it was great to hear about these from books and the staff. It was a great way to end a day of sightseeing. Fabio was fantastic and made the best cocktails. Would recommend highly.

Our family stayed at El Palace for 4 nights, the hotel and rooms are fantastic, it’s location is also great but the real stand out here is its staff, door, desk, concierge & bar, all the staff were outstanding. We forgot some jewelry that we left in our safe, all items were returned with help from Carlos, Francisco and Javier who went above and beyond to have the items shipped to our next hotel, I have to say we will definitely return to Barcelona and stay at El Palace again because of the staff, the roof top bar and pool are great also. Thank you guys, great job, 5 stars all day.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the wonderful stay I had at your hotel. The property is beautiful and exceptionally clean, and every single staff member, without exception, was outstanding—serving with dedication, professionalism, and always with a smile. I would like to extend my special thanks to Ms. Ramia Kouba, who kindly introduced us to all the facilities and services of the hotel, thoughtfully arranged a special occasion for us, and assisted with all our needs during our time in Barcelona. I would also like to thank the bakery staff member for designing a truly wonderful cake for our special occasion. Overall, the hotel played a significant role in making our trip to Barcelona memorable and enjoyable.
Hamed A — Google review
I made our reservation for dinner on the Rooftop at El Palace short notice on the same day we arrived to Barcelona for my girlfriend and I’s anniversary. I marked that it was our anniversary when asked in the online booking form. However, no special arrangements were made or provided during our meal the entire evening. Was this because we were a same-sex couple? During Pride Month, I found this strange. The rooftop views are lovely, but only really visible from the Lebanese restaurant side by the pool. I asked if we could have a cocktail first by the pool and then come eat at our table, and the staff said yes. One hostess came over to confirm that she would block our table for us. Yet, once we finished our espresso martinis, we found that she had already given our table by the fountain to another couple. It was very strange and I was most displeased. Yet, I can say that otherwise the waitstaff were attentive and considerate. My girlfriend broke a glass, and all the staff were very kind about it. The porn star martinis and oysters were incredible. As was the cheesecake we shared for dessert. I did not enjoy my espresso martini very much. I felt it was too watery. The entire hotel is gorgeous. The service from the moment we entered the lobby was impeccable. The DJ while we drank and ate was also enjoyable.

I can't speak to the rooms because we only had dinner and drinks here, but none the less, I wanted to leave a review to commend a star artist here. We had come here for my birthday dinner and ate at the rooftop restaurant. The service and ambiance was stellar but the food left a lot to be desired. Afterwards, we wandered downstairs to the lobby bar and found Fabio! Fabio is the reason I wanted to make sure to stop and leave a review. Not only were his drinks superior but his customer service was legendary. We are brand new residents to the city and his warmth and welcoming attitude really touched our hearts. We are forever grateful for your spectacular drinks and kind heart! Your artistry with your mixology skills is exceptional and we wish you nothing but the best! We will see you again soon!

Casa Bonay is a trendy hotel located in an up-and-coming area near Placa de Tetuan. Housed in a classic 19th-century mansion that was renovated by Studio Tack, the hotel offers 67 streamlined rooms and two restaurants. The atmosphere is described as 'Brooklynesque,' with spaces like the Libertine cocktail den and the beach shack-inspired Chiringuito rooftop bar.
I absolutely loved my stay at Casa Bonay. The hotel is full of charm, with beautiful original details and a super stylish, cozy vibe. The location is perfect - quiet but central, just a short walk from everything. Staff were warm and helpful, the food was great (especially the breakfast and Bodega Bonay - Mara was so amazing 🤩 !), and the rooms were spotless and very comfortable. You can really feel the human touch in every corner. Can’t wait to return! ❤️

Casa Bonay is a stylish, design-forward boutique hotel with a great vibe and a fantastic central location in Barcelona. The interior feels curated yet relaxed – urban, creative, and never overdone. The team is friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout. A real highlight is the rooftop restaurant: delicious food, a beautiful terrace, and a laid-back atmosphere with stunning views – perfect for dinner or a casual drink. The minibar in the room was also a nice touch – well-stocked and thoughtfully selected. I stayed in the largest room with both a balcony and a terrace – spacious and well located, but starting to feel a bit worn. The toilet was leaking, and the much-hyped outdoor shower sprayed in all directions – small issues, but not quite what you’d expect at this level. One thing that felt off: at over €400 per night, I’d expect the rooftop sauna to be included – charging extra for that felt out of place given the otherwise high standards. That said, Casa Bonay still has a unique charm, a strong identity, and an excellent food & hospitality concept. I’d gladly return – but I hope to see some updates in the rooms and a more generous approach to amenities.

I unfortunately fell ill during my stay and the Casa Bonay team was so accommodating and kind, allowing us to extend and then edit our stay as my status evolved. I really felt cared for. The room was comfortable and I was so grateful for the ease of access of delicious food. Very conveniently located and fabulous rooftop spa set up! Well worth it. Thank you again to the lovely folks there for their support.

We felt very lucky to have chosen Casa Bonay for our long weekend in Barcelona! Very cool place, staff are super friendly and helpful (the WhatsApp number they give you at check-in for any questions is great), and some amazing places on site including a fab coffee shop that we visited every morning. Didn’t use the spa but it also looked amazing! Would definitely return next time we’re in Barcelona.

We loved our stay here! - wide selection of rooms, all of which are well appointed - bikes available for free - multiple restaurants and bars - Casa Bonay in particular was fantastic - free drink coupons - robes and slippers - Malin+Goetz toiletries - new rooftop spa is unique and fun, though costs extra - we split our time up in Barcelona on the front end and back end of our trip and they recognized that we had already stayed here and upgraded us on the back end If I had to complain about something, it would be that they don’t provide coffee in each of the rooms (but offer tea…) and make you go buy coffee in their coffee shop.

This is my favorite hotel in Barcelona. The rooms are beautiful and thoughtfully curated. The hotel bar downstairs makes for a nice complimentary breakfast area in the mornings and turns into a study/work place for the afternoons and a bar in the evenings. I feel very welcomed and well accommodated when staying here, and the location is perfect—central, but not too crowded, and near a metro station.

With 20 rooms and two penthouse suites designed by Crick King and Tommy Tang, the hotel boasts a sleekly eclectic style described as 'tropical modernism' inspired by Sri Lankan architect Geoffrey Bawa.
We stayed 2 nights in one of the penthouses and it was amazing. The outdoor tub was refreshing during siesta after walking the city and the views were lovely. The bed was super comfy and the shower is clean, hot and good pressure. The best part of the Hotel is the service- which we found impeccable. On check in we were given ample suggestions for dinner and activities and in checkout the helped with taxi and mail. Do not skip the breakfast- Funky Bakers was the best bread I had in the whole trip! We will return!

WHAT A FANTASTIC HOTEL ! I was lucky enough to find this hotel through Airbnb while I was searching for boutique apartment close to the nature. This hotel is everything what we wished for. It is in residential area so very quiet but so close to restaurants, pubs or public transportation so you are in city center in 10 min.. or 25 min walk. The reason why we also booked it is that it is facing a beautiful park.. you can hike, walk, run what ever you need. AND on top of that there is a public pool with a restaurant where locals go to enjoy sunset with glass of wine. We also love everybody who works at the hotel. Super friendly, funny and helpful. The rooms are spacious, bathroom super clean with anything you need and you can open a window which is always nice. Breakfast is super yummy and if you decide to stay in, they also serve interesting dinner options. We love it so much that decided to comeback ! What a JAM !

We loved Hotel Brummel! I did so much research before selecting a hotel and it was perfect. Our room was quiet, very clean, breakfast was excellent (that tahini banana bread!!), and everyone that works there was so kind. And the location is perfect - far enough away from the tourist areas but so much to do, eat, etc nearby (and easy metro access). Thank you, Hotel Brummel - we will be back!!

This is a lovely hotel and the staff is great making restaurant recommendations and reservations and answering questions about the neighborhood and Barcelona. It was too cool for the pool when we visited in late October, but we appreciated the lounge furniture around the pool, a great spot to sit and read. There was also space in the lobby. It is a small hotel, but away from the craziness of the Ramblas, very peaceful and quiet. Picture taken our last morning, view from the bedroom window.

So kind, they were like family! Breakfast, food and hot drinks all amazing, such hospitality. I was ill during my stay and they were so thoughtful. If you want a lovely place to stay and relax, good for sightseeing, this makes an excellent choice. Touches like providing a kettle, a good map & slippers in the room were much appreciated.

I’ve been traveling to Europe at least 1-2x per year for 10yrs - Hotel Brummell may be the best accommodation I’ve had. The rooms were spacious and clean — easily some of the most comfortable I’ve stayed in. The service was excellent across the board, and the front desk staff were especially helpful with great local recommendations. The breakfast downstairs was delicious and had a great variety, though on the pricier side. Overall, a wonderful experience — I’d definitely stay here again.
Avi Z — Google review
Great location. Central, but to the off to the side of the main tourist congestion. Our situation is that we have already been to Barcelona many times, so it was nice to stay in a neighborhood that caters to local residents as well as tourist. We found many restaurants and within two blocks. It is close to several city view lookouts on Montjuic. We met neighborhood locals who patronize the ground floor bakery/coffee shop. Each hotel employee was super kind. This is our new favorite Barcelona hotel. A room on level 01 offers direct access to the private back patio for a quiet evening night cap. Try the tahini banana bread in the breakfast bakery.

Had a long awaited off day during a nightliner tour, and booked the top penthouse primarily because of the private outdoor pool on the balcony, but when we tried to use it in the evening there was only cold water (this was November and around 12°C), and absolutely no help from the hotel to fix it. There was nobody working at the hotel in the evening, and whoever was answering messages was using Chat GPT to reply. The next day we got a 10% discount which in no way covered the extra cost we had paid for the room, which was around 3x the price of a regular room, so that was a big waste of money. Apart from that, the hotel concept seemed cool, but the non-functioning amenities and lack of help and compensation honestly made me feel ripped off.

I can not say enough good things about my experience at The One hotel. My husband and I stayed 3 nights in this hotel, and the service was beyond exceptional. We have never had such attentive and welcoming staff at any hotel we have ever stayed in. The check in was easy and accommodating, with the staff holding our bags until the room was ready. They called immediately when the room was ready for us. The breakfast was exceptional, with all service staff attentive and kind. I believe the staff we had every morning was named Ana who remembered our coffee and tea order exactly! The pool deck is a small space, but had wonderful views and great food/drink service. The room was a great size for our needs, and my husband were in love with the bed. We are actively trying to find pillows that were as comfy as the ones we slept on here. On check out the staff went through all charges, and got us a great taxi to get to the airport. Thank you so much for the memorable stay, and we will definitely stay again when in Barcelona!

Amazing hotel! There rooms are brilliant and so clean. All the features of the rooms are great; the bed is so comfortable with the option of a pillow menu! Electric blinds and lots of light options for different moods. The spa downstairs is great and from experience not too busy as you have to book a slot to avoid it getting filled! The rooftop is also amazing, the bar and pool very good in the day, and by evening the vibe is great. Lovely view of the city with the Sagrada in the city-scape. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a luxury experience!

A five-star hotel in a prime location in Barcelona, surrounded by shops, cafés, and restaurants. The guest service is exceptional, with staff who are consistently helpful. Rooms are upscale, clean, and well-equipped with amenities, including a welcome gift of chocolates. The bathroom is spacious, finished with marble surfaces, and features a convenient bidet spray. The rooftop pool is good, though it is relatively small in size. The only downside is an uncomfortable bed mattress

Situated in the vibrant El Born district, this 100-room hotel embodies a bohemian vibe reminiscent of nightclub culture. The Mediterranean terrace on the 10th floor offers breathtaking panoramic views of the city and is a popular nightlife spot. With iroko wooden furnishings and glass sliding walls, it provides year-round comfort while maintaining its scenic allure.
Our experience at The Barcelona Edition was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The hotel itself is stunning, clean, and stylish. and they really made our honeymoon a memorable experience! The breakfast food was beyond incredible. Every breakfast we had was fresh, beautifully prepared, and delicious (easily some of the best we’ve had while traveling). But what truly set our experience apart was the staff. Every single team member we encountered was warm, helpful, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. One particular moment stood out: when our return flight home was unexpectedly cancelled and we couldn't find an English-speaking airline representative to assist us, one of the hotel staff members (Sophia) stayed beyond the end of her shift just to help us translate and navigate the process of finding another way home. We were blown away by her kindness and generosity. Despite the hotel being fully booked, they also managed to find a way to accommodate us for an extra night while we sorted things out. We are so incredibly thankful to the entire team at The Barcelona Edition for their exceptional hospitality and for truly going above and beyond during a stressful situation. We can't recommend it highly enough and look forward to returning one day!

A stylish club that impresses from the very first moment with its atmosphere and unique design. Every detail is carefully thought out: the interior, lighting, music, and service create a true sense of celebration and ease. The excellent music of various genres makes the evening truly vibrant, and the sound quality deserves special praise. The atmosphere is full of energy and positivity, making it easy to forget about everyday life and fully dive into the world of music and dance. This club is perfect both for meeting friends and for those who want to spend an unforgettable night surrounded by style and drive. It’s definitely a place you’ll want to return to again and again, as each visit brings new impressions and emotions.

We had an incredible stay at the Barcelona Edition. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the chic and welcoming atmosphere. The front desk team was outstanding, friendly, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile. A special thanks to Lucia, the Front Office Manager, whose professionalism and warmth made a real difference. The penthouse suite was stunning; elegantly designed with breathtaking views and luxurious touches throughout. We also loved spending time at the bar, where Alba, the bartender, wowed us with her creative and delicious cocktails. Her energy and hospitality were unforgettable. Max at the front door was another highlight—always cheerful, helpful, and full of great local recommendations. Every interaction with the staff made us feel truly welcome. We highly recommend the Barcelona Edition to anyone looking for a stylish, comfortable, and genuinely hospitable experience in the heart of the city.

I can't say enough good things about this hotel. Firstly, unbeknownst to us, this is in the perfect location. Across the street from the Cathedral and right next to some of the best neighborhoods for shopping and food and right next to many local markets. 20 min walk to the beach. The only time we took a taxi is for the Sagrada Familia tour. The hotel staff was extremely attentive and their guest services helped with every request we had. The roof top and Veraz restaurant both had excellent views, food, and service. And many many thanks to their staff when the train station denied our boarding for a souvenir we had. I called the hotel and asked if they could help us ship it back and they did. I quickly ran back and they took care of the package for me. I am so grateful because we had no other option with the post office being closed that day. The hotel was clean and quiet and I really enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be back!

Our stay at The Barcelona EDITION was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome and taken care of. The level of service and warm hospitality throughout our stay was truly outstanding. The location is spot on for walking beautiful Barcelona! Everyone we encountered was professional, friendly, and eager to help with anything we needed, whether it was local recommendations, arranging reservations, or just a warm greeting every time we walked through the lobby. It really felt like they went above and beyond to make our visit special. The hotel itself is stylish and comfortable, but it’s the amazing staff that makes The Barcelona EDITION stand out. We left with great memories and will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Barcelona. Highly recommended.

Customer service in this hotel was excellent. We arrived very early in the morning and although we were much earlier than check in, this hotel went above and beyond to provide us a great stay. Special shout out to max the bell boy who gave us some suggestions for things to do in Barcelona and greeted us with a smile everyday. The hotel is in a great location in gothic quarter and close to many attractions on foot. Highly recommend

I stayed at the Barcelona Edition for 2 nights last month. The customer service was incredible from the start! Lourdes at the front desk was extremely pleasant and helpful and the gentleman that worked as a bell hop was very attentive. I also enjoyed the daily breakfast and talking with the barista Maria. She took the time to sit with me and educated me on the different regions of Spain and provided some great suggestions while touring the city of Barcelona. If you stay here you definitely have to experience the rooftop bar. Thiago and Mike were so friendly and accommodating during my nightly visits to the bar. I will definitely stay at this hotel if I visit Barcelona again!!!

Great location if you’re planning on sightseeing in the gothic quarters and want a good starting base to walk from. Lots of stuff to do within a short walking distance from the hotel, and there are some metro stations that are within about 10 minutes from here too. The rooms are nice with large comfortable beds that were very clean.

The Majestic Hotel & Spa Barcelona is a grand and historic establishment that has been impressing guests since it first opened its doors in 1918. Following a major renovation in 2013, the hotel has maintained its status as one of Barcelona's top hotels. Located conveniently on Passeig de Gracia, it is adorned with artwork from renowned avant-garde personalities and is in close proximity to iconic landmarks such as La Pedrera-Casa Mila and Casa Battlo.
Our time at the Majestic Hotel was a 10+ experience. First of all, we would like to express our appreciation and gratefulness to Guillermo at the front desk, guest relations. He made our stay! He was warm and welcoming and made us feel special. He would be one of the best reasons for our recommending the Majestic to our friends and family. Secondly, the Majestic Hotel is in a wonderful location to explore Barcelona. It is a beautiful hotel, both the public and private rooms Our room was gorgeous, the bathroom an oasis at the end of a long day with wonderful bathtub soaks. We did not try the buffet breakfast but had room service for breakfast which did not disappoint. The rooftop terrace was delightful in the evenings with delicious food and wonderful ambiance. We did not have the time to use the Spa or pool/wellness services but would next visit. Our thanks to everyone with whom we interacted during our stay, especially Guillermo. We look forward to our next stay!!

We are a family of four and we spent seven nights at the Majestic Hotel. All the hotel staff, including the front desk attendants and bellhops, were very attentive and friendly. Judit from the first-floor breakfast lounge welcomed us every morning with a big smile. She made all the daily specials sound so delicious that we tried them all during our stay. Also Natalia was wonderful, she prepared a birthday brownie for my daughter on our last day. We absolutely loved our stay at the Majestic Hotel, and we would definitely love to come back, even though it is 14 hours from home. Thank you for having us. While the hotel was beautiful and the location perfect, the people are what really makes this hotel so special.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The location is excellent — very convenient and close to everything. The rooms were spotless, and the cleaning was done with great care every day. The staff were absolutely amazing — always welcoming, smiling, and ready to help with anything you need. A special mention goes to Sofia, who was incredibly kind and attentive throughout my stay. She really made me feel at home. Highly recommended!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Majestic! The room, service, and amenities were exquisite. The rooftop bar had the best view in town and great tapas. The buffet brunch had something for everyone. And the downstairs bar made for the perfect end to each day. Shoutout to Marco and Alessandro who made our stay extra special - they had amazing recommendations, were fun to talk to, and made the best gin and tonics and old fashions!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Truly Exceptional Stay — Especially Thanks to Aby! We stayed at the Majestic Hotel in Barcelona from September 15–21, 2025, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. Our room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The hotel’s fitness facilities were excellent, and the lap pool was beautiful — a great way to relax after exploring the city. What really set our stay apart, however, was the outstanding service from every member of the staff. Everyone we interacted with was courteous, friendly, and eager to help. But one person stood out in particular: Aby, the hostess at the rooftop restaurant. My wife and I dined there a couple of times, and Aby was consistently warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable. She answered all our questions about the city and gave us great insight into local life in Barcelona. What impressed us the most was how she went above and beyond to accommodate a last-minute reservation for us and some new friends we had just met. Her professionalism, kindness, and genuine hospitality truly elevated our experience. We travel frequently, and our stay at the Majestic Hotel ranks among the very best — thanks in large part to the exceptional team and the special touch provided by Aby. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Barcelona.

Fantastic hotel with great staff. Waiter Elias was extraordinary friendly and attentive on the rooftop bar and restaurant. The hotel is old style but absolutely amazing. Serras Barcelona is a luxurious boutique hotel located at the edge of the Gothic Quarter in Barcelona. It offers stunning sea views and features a rooftop terrace with dining and a plunge pool. The hotel's modern rooms are bright and immaculate, some with balconies offering city or sea views. The Grand Suite Mediterraneo provides an exceptional experience with its standalone bathtub, premium toiletries, dining room, and expansive vistas. The rooftop pool bar holds stories of Pablo Picasso, adding to the hotel's allure.
Staying at Hotel Serras was truly the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. From the moment I arrived, I felt completely safe and welcomed. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel at home—every single person I encountered was attentive, helpful, and genuinely warm. The service here is unmatched; nothing ever felt like too much trouble. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean and beautifully maintained, with a luxurious yet comfortable atmosphere that made it the perfect place to relax after exploring the city. Every detail is thought of, and it’s clear they truly care about their guests. If you’re visiting Barcelona, I couldn’t recommend Hotel Serras enough. I rarely write reviews, but it would be a crime if I didn’t share how exceptional my recent stay at Serras was. While the hotel itself is beautiful and in the perfect location, it’s really the staff and customer service that makes this hotel so memorable. Everyone who works there was kind, helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure we were enjoying our time in the city and had what we needed at the hotel. The cherry on top, the delicious food! From the breakfast that included fresh pressed green juices and ginger turmeric shots. To the tasty room service and roof top restaurant. I can’t say enough great things about this hotel. If you’re in Barcelona, this place is a MUST STAY!!!

We arrived at the hotel after a long flight to stay one night before our cruise. We were pleasantly surprised by the wasm welcoming of the staff of this beautiful hotel. Location is perfect and safe. Room was very very clean. The highlight of our stay were the staff. Robert was very caring and helpful. Pablo brought a bottle of local champagne and treated us as we were checking in. Breakfast was complete and fresh with lots of choice as of healthy options. We enjoyed our stay so much that for sure next time will extend our stay Thank you Robert, Pablo and the other lady that I forgot her name. Rooftop restaurant was very nice too.

Upon checking into Serras Barcelona, we were greeted warmly and welcomed with chocolates, champagne, and a cleansing towel. The staff helped to arrange Parc Grueill tickets and offered suggestions for some other activities, as well as directions. Our room is comfortable and attractively furnished. The most significant part of this hotel experience was how they supported us when our cell phone was left behind in a taxi. We could not have imagined how we would go about recovering it without their help. If possible, I would give 100 stars!

Amazing stay. Really lovely hotel with a bright, welcoming atmosphere that was exactly what we wanted for the end of our trip. We had a slight hiccup on our first night, but the staff handled the situation professionally and made sure the rest of our stay was flawless. The rooms are nice and spacious with good natural light, though you do hear some activity in the hallway from time to time. The breakfast was great with good variety and quality, and that rooftop is truly spectacular - amazing views and such a nice space to unwind. The hotel struck a perfect balance for us, providing a comfortable base for both getting work done and relaxing. It's also a very convenient location for calling cars. The staff were helpful throughout and we'd definitely consider staying here again when we're back in Barcelona.

A phenomenal hotel, one which I jokingly told my husband we should’ve stayed at longer and earlier in our jaunt across Spain. Laura was the absolute best, attentive, and gracious in showing us around and explaining the history of the building. Robert was incredibly professional and relatable, and all other staff, from the rooftop bar to the early risers who helped us get settled into our taxi to the airport, deserve all accolades for making our stay exceptional. The design and aesthetics, and spaciousness in the Gothic Quarter make this place a gem. We’ll definitely be back!

My spouse and I stayed there with a friend for two nights in May before a cruise. An extraordinary experience from being greeted at the curb by Elisabeth the manager (and given a tour of the property before being taken to our room to the bag service provided by Bud, it was the best service I have ever received at a hotel. We ate at the rooftop restaurant as well as the first floor restaurant. The food and the service was exquisite. Sandra, the manager at breakfast, was attentive to our wishes and especially helpful to my spouse who is gluten free. I was most impressed with how our grandson (an exchange student in Barcelona and obviously not staying at the hotel) was treated by the staff, especially Elisabeth. The kindness and friendliness were much appreciated. Oh and the room was well appointed and the bed very comfortable! It was a special experience.

Almanac Barcelona is a chic hotel offering airy rooms and suites with a modern, tech-forward design. The hotel features Mediterranean dining, a bar, spa, and a rooftop pool with spectacular views. Located on Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, it offers soundproofed Terrace Suites with separate living rooms and sun-drenched wraparound terraces. Situated near Plaza Catalunya, the hotel provides easy access to public transportation.
We had an exquisite stay at the Hotel Almanac. The beds and linens were luxurious, bathroom & closet were wonderful. Well appointed and comfortable. Staff and food were beyond compare. In a world of travel it was certainly one of our best hotel experiences! Absolutely incredible stay experience. 👍🏻

Selected this hotel due to Amex platinum hotel collection. Decent lobby decor, wish the ceiling would be higher. We were greeted shortly with welcoming drinks. Upon check in we were escorted to our room. Decent size with great day bed by the window with street view. Housekeeping service can be more timely as they failed to clean up my room after our morning sightseeing three hours later. There roof top pool is very small, more like a soaking tub as we definitely cannot swim in it. Normal check out time is noon and they are able to extend to 1pm. Overall okay experience.

The room was modern, spotless, and very well maintained ✨ The staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming, the location was excellent, and overall the hotel offered a truly wonderful experience 🩷 The only drawback was the hairdryer, which required the button to be continuously pressed in order to function. For guests with longer hair, this can be quite uncomfortable 💇‍♀️ Aside from this small issue, everything was perfect. I would be delighted to stay at the Almanac again on my next visit to Barcelona 🥰🇪🇸

Our family of four loved our stay at the almanac hotel. This was our first time in Barcelona and the almanac helped make the experience memorable. The entire staff was very professional and helpful. We had a suite with a pull our sofa for our boys. The rooftop has a small and you can have a nice cocktail with a great view of the cathedral. The location is safe and in a the nicest area of Barcelona. Highly recommend the Almanac!

I don't usually write reviews but I had to write about my experience at Almanac. For the positives... Great room, bathroom, and breakfast. For the negatives... I unfortunately got really sick my last night at the hotel. The concierge was kind enough to arrange a doctor to come out and see me at 8 am. The doctor recommended I go to the hospital to get treated. Following his recommendation I decided to go to the hospital. My wife asked the hotel to extend checkout for 2 hours since we didn't know when we would be back. The initial response was that this is not possible because the hotel is full. Fair enough. They eventually gave us an hour more and told us to pack our bags before going to the hospital 🙄. They also said we could extend our stay for a full night (and pay for it). So either they had availability or they didn't... The true mark of a luxury hotel is how they handle things when things go wrong (especially when its not their fault) and this hotel did not meet that standard.

Almanac Hotel delivered. Slightly tucked away so not to be in the middle of all the tourist traps but still centrally located. What really stood out were the rooms and the service. Decorated with care and style, luxury without being over the top. The service was absolutely top tier staff went above and beyond and were all kind. Our room had a solid city view, the rooftop lounge is even better. Food was just ok but that was hardly an issue. Overall 10/10

I LOVED our stay here. In retrospect, I wish we had stayed here more nights. They were super friendly and helpful. When our crib got damaged on the flight to Barcelona, they sent their in-house maintenance team to fix it. The front desk helped sort out an issue with our Sagrada Familia booking. The hotel breakfast was incredible. The rooftop bar was lovely. I can’t say enough kind words about this place. It was amazing.

Originally built in 1908 by renowned architect Lluis Domenech Montaner, the hotel underwent extensive renovation and reopened its doors in 2004. The hotel offers elegant accommodations, some featuring saunas, and boasts stunning views of the Mediterranean and Sagrada Familia.

The terrace is a highlight with great food and beautiful views of Passeig de Gracia, while the lobby bar serves excellent drinks in a stylish atmosphere. I booked in october, now the weather is around 20 C degrees outside, but this hotel decided to close room air conditioning and say “ open the windows to ventilate your rooms and sleep” ??? One of our all-time favourite hotels. The service and staff were fantastic- always going above the call of duty. The hotel is so uniquely decorated. Our perfect experience at Casa Camper Berlin made us even more excited for Barcelona and it truly lived up to our expectations. We stayed for 7 nights, and from the moment we checked in, Carlos and Miriam were incredibly warm, helpful, and efficient. Their hospitality made us feel right at home throughout our entire stay. The rooms aren’t flashy, but they’re thoughtfully designed with the traveler’s needs in mind. practical, comfortable, and functional in the best way. We especially loved the rooftop view overlooking the Old Town; it was the perfect way to unwind at the end of each day. Is there anything else we could possibly praise? If anything, we were just a little sad that Carlos and Miriam weren’t there when we checked out. we would have loved to thank them in person one last time. We truly hope to see them again the next time we visit Barcelona. Thank you for everything!

The staffs were very friendly. The room was clean, spacious, well designed to be functional and at the same time beautiful. The beds were comfortable, shower had good water pressure, window allowed natural light. Wish I used the living room more. We had a red eye flight that arrived early in the morning and was able to check in right away as they had room available. That was greatly appreciated. The location is close to lots of restaurants, metro, shopping areas. There was no street noise from the room, so we had good night sleep. Will stay here again.

Receptionist at Casa Camper: “We have a rooftop party until 23:30. We have a permit.” Ermmm sure, Casa Camper. But hang on. It’s almost midnight. It’s Thursday night. The heavy bass is still going on, did I miss something? Considerate hotels think about their guests and neighbours living next door with demanding job, young children and elderly folks. Then there’s Casa Camper 😂 Well, lucky for them, there are better hotels every ten metres from their door. 😂 Plenty to choose from! One friend even called them “five star price for three star luxury.” 😂 If you’ve got the money why not pay for real luxury? Dear guest, judge for yourself!

Yurbban Passage Hotel & Spa is a stylish destination attracting young, trendy city dwellers with its plush rooms, rooftop pool, and swanky restaurant. The hotel offers comfortable accommodations and a peaceful spa with massage jets and luxe treatment rooms. Guests can enjoy magnificent views from the rooftop bar and plunge pool.
I had a wonderful stay at Yurbban Passage Hotel & Spa on my first trip to Barcelona. The location is perfect—right next to the Gothic Quarter and just minutes from great restaurants, cafes, shops, and the metro. There’s even a Lidl supermarket next door. The hotel itself is modern, clean, and thoughtfully designed. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and I especially loved the minimalist black-and-white bathroom. Every little detail, from the signage to the interior design, shows great taste. Breakfast was excellent with both buffet options and a set menu featuring local dishes. A pleasant surprise was the free wine tasting every evening from 6:30 to 7:30, with ham and snacks—one of the wines became my favorite of the trip! The spa was another highlight. Guests can book 30 minutes daily, including a massage pool, sauna, and more. After a long day exploring the city, it was the perfect way to unwind. Although I didn’t have time to try the rooftop pool, the view over the city looked amazing. The staff were all very kind and helpful. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Barcelona.

The LITTLE CONS: Location LOUD and crowded; an earlier stay in the close by neighborhood Eixample much calmer yet upscale. The bed is very firm and the pillows not soft and comfy, rooms are very small. Don't order their mixed salad-it is wet, soggy and awful. The PROS: the rooftop bar is incredible. Their free wine and cheese for an hour each night at their other hotel next door was impressive and packed with people in their 30s. (This hotel group are marketing geniuses). The breakfast expresso machine with cafe con leche free and delicious and welcoming for those foreigners who don't love Spanish coffee. I was able to get a room with a little balcony looking out into an alleyway which was fun and very cool. It ended up raining one day and the room had umbrellas!

Lovely hotel. Very good service by all the waiting staff at breakfast and a big shout out to Ben on the roof terrace. He went above and beyond in helping our family of 6. Rooms were clean, bed comfy. Spa was great with sauna and small pool.

We enjoyed staying in this hotel. It was one of the best sleeps we had; the bed and pillows were just the right comfort. The location was good, with both a supermarket and a coffee shop next to it. It is also about 15mins walk to the main shopping street, Chinatown and also the markets, all in different directions. I also tried their Spa facility and massage. Massage was good and the Spa was lovely. But the thought process between a guest at the Spa and moving on to massage needs a rethink. The only gripe we had was the free happy hour drinks at 6:30pm. Wines were so bad, the ham was hard. Guest around me were not really eating and some threw away their wine. All the same, I will recommend this hotel and will be back. Took some lovely photos, enjoy

Absolutely stunning view from our room. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and the hotel itself was gorgeous, clean, and eco-conscious. The central location made it easy to explore the city. They were beyond accommodating — offering a free wine and cheese happy hour in the lobby, amazing recommendations, and a city map marked with their favorite sights and food stops. Every detail made the experience feel thoughtful and personal. We loved our stay and will absolutely return.

A lovely hotel that's centrally located in Barcelona with everything you would need. Staff and rooms are amazing as is the Spa and Gym facilities - even had a punch bag so well and truly happy. Th only concern that one may have is that the rooms near the passage can be a little noisy depending on how busy it gets so request something away from there or just deal with it. I would certainly revisit and am currently making plans. Keep up the great work.

This was my second stay at this hotel — the first was in February. I chose to come back because the location is very convenient and easily accessible to all main areas in Barcelona. The interior design is calm, clean, and comfortable. However, I must mention that during both of my stays, I couldn’t help but sense a slight feeling of discrimination. I tried to ignore it the first time, telling myself that as long as I’m paying for my stay, it doesn’t matter. But things escalated this time. While I was quietly sitting in the hotel lobby with my earphones on, responding to some messages, I was suddenly surprised by the rude and unprofessional behavior of the receptionist (a young woman of Latin origin, who later came to apologize). She shouted from behind the counter asking why I was sitting there. I told her that I was a guest at the hotel. She continued, in the same loud tone, implying that I was not. I calmly repeated that I was staying there and even mentioned my room number (***) — yet she insisted on seeing my details to verify. What upset me was not the security check itself, but the way she spoke — her tone felt condescending and carried an undertone related to my background (which I prefer not to detail). She later approached me to apologize, saying she was also of Latin origin and didn’t mean any offense. I completely understand the importance of hotel security procedures, but such matters should be handled politely. She could have simply approached me and asked to see my room key, and I would have gladly cooperated. Overall, I wanted to share my honest impression because I believe such experiences matter to other travelers. Despite this incident, I still consider this a good hotel — it’s well located and close to all the main attractions in Barcelona. However, for me personally, this will be the last time I stay at this hotel. Today’s experience left a deeply negative impression that I will not forget.

Beyond obsessed with this hotel. The ambiance and the service are out of this world. I don’t want to spoil the surprises but… WOW! They thought of everything and it is simply the best. It feels like staying at the home of the most incredibly gracious friends who want to show you the best time in their city and do this because they love it. Many amenities and personal touches. We stayed in the Room 10 Suite and I will never stay anywhere else in Barcelona. Thank you guys so much!

The Wittmore Hotel is an upscale accommodation located in the medieval Gothic Quarter of the city. It offers 22 cozy rooms and suites, creating a hush-hush atmosphere with a members club vibe. The hotel has undergone a redesign by Barcelona's Septiembre Arquitectura, giving it a modern look with natural raffia-weave paneling and sleek wood floors.
This hotel has such a distinctive, sexy atmosphere with its dark, moody design that really sets it apart from other Barcelona hotels. Loved it. The whole aesthetic works perfectly - from the mysterious entrance to the mood lighting throughout. Most importantly, it's extremely comfortable. We were so relaxed here that we accidentally slept over 9 hours on two different nights out of our four-night stay, which says everything about how good those beds are, and how blackout + silent the rooms are. The rooms are well-designed with quality furnishings and the bathroom products were excellent. All the staff were genuinely helpful and welcoming throughout our stay, creating a warm atmosphere despite the dramatic design. The breakfast was absolutely outstanding - felt like a multicourse experience each morning with great variety and quality. The whole experience felt special and memorable in the best way. Would definitely choose to stay here again when we're back in Barcelona.

We stayed for 2 nights this last week and it was the best hotel experience we’ve ever had. The moment you walk up to the hotel (and you will indeed “walk” up, as there is no way for a car to get you all the way to the hotel) you can tell it’s something special. In the heart of (IMO) the best part of the city and tucked away like a well kept secret, it immediately feels exclusive without an ounce of pretension. The staff was warm, friendly and attentive. Julian, the concierge, took us to our room and gave us a tour. He was then seemingly ever present to answer any questions we had. Marena, made us laugh in the evenings at the bar. Each bar tender, room steward, front desk staff and waiter we had was flawlessly professional, warm and friendly. The rooftop was a delight and turns into a bit of a social hour later in the afternoons as people come to hang out and rest a bit before dinner (at least during warm season/good weather). The rooms feel bespoke and the courtyard was a great space to enjoy breakfast in the morning. The only drawback I had, which I suspect is a big plus for many, is that everything in the hotel shuts down pretty early. By 10:30 or 11:00, the bar was closed and everyone seemed to be tucked in. Understandable for a hotel with only 22 rooms and, really, not a big deal with so many great bars in the area. My personal favorites (both within a 2-minute walk) were Dr. Stravinsky (we discovered later, on the 50 best bars in the world list…makes sense) and Agüelo Taberna, a cool little spot with a great vibe and great bar tenders. This will be your best stay in Barcelona if you value warmth, style, and atmosphere. If you like pretension and fussiness (you know who you are), go elsewhere. You’ll kill the vibe.

Our family (ages 23 - 75) spent a wonderful week at the Wittmore this past summer. The hotel and the rooms are beautifully designed, the food is delicious, and the customer service is excellent. Staff went out of their way to accommodate us throughout the week. Not to mention the location ---- it's in the heart of the Gothic neighborhood with easy access to many attractions, restaurants, art galleries, and more. If we ever go back to Barcelona, we will definitely return to the Wittmore.

Staying at the Wittmore was such a joy. The service was perfect with a friendly staff who went out of their way to meet our needs. The decor was gorgeous with attention paid to the smallest of details as well as to entire rooms. The rooftop sitting area was relaxing with a beautiful view of the area. Food was superb. We ate both breakfast and dinner there and were so glad we did not choose to try another local restaurant, I rated the location a five also as it is near so much. It is quite a surprise to see a small, dead end alley with a stunning entrance . We have been fortunate to stay in some lovely places; this one ranks tops, Kudos to the staff and management. ,

Our stay at The Wittmore Hotel in August was truly extraordinary. The staff demonstrated unparalleled attentiveness to our preferences, creating a personalized experience that made us feel genuinely valued. The hotel's beautiful decoration throughout the property was complemented perfectly by the sweet and charming rooftop soaking pool, which provided blissful relief during the summer heat. Thoughtful touches like restocking our minibar with gin and tonic, combined with the phenomenal Michelin-starred restaurant in the lovely atrium, elevated our experience to new heights. Located in Barcelona's enchanting Gothic Quarter, we were perfectly positioned to explore the medieval charm of cobblestone streets and discover delightful local shops and markets. This is undoubtedly one of the finest hotels we've ever stayed at, and we cannot recommend The Wittmore highly enough. And we love their puppy dog salt and pepper shakers! - Andrea and Tony

I’m not a guest at this hotel, to be honest, but we received a very warm welcome nonetheless. We had heard great things about the restaurant and the rooftop. Unfortunately, access to the rooftop is reserved for hotel guests, but the reception staff went out of their way to help us. They recommended other places, booked us a table at their Michelin-recommended restaurant, and even allowed us a quick look at the rooftop. We were truly impressed by the efficiency and kindness of the two people at the front desk.

The Wittmore is a gem of a hotel, conveniently located on the accessible edge of the Gothic Quarter. In one direction it is a short walk to Via Laietana's many cabs and the hop-on/hop-off bus stops as well as the vibrant nightlife of the port districts. In the other a pleasant stroll quickly puts you in the heart of the medieval Gothic Quarter, with narrow, cobbled lanes opening onto crowded plazas and the many bars, restaurants and shops that make this district such an enduring attraction. On our recent stay of four nights we found the rooms to be beautifully appointed and very comfortable and the staff to be consistently warm, friendly and helpful. To add to the attractions of this boutique property they have one of the really great small hotel bars. All of the cocktails and snacks we sampled here were first rate. The Wittmore is an excellent base camp for your exploration and enjoyment of Barcelona and we recommend it very highly.

If service had a 6th star option they deserve it. What a wonderful place to stay in the Gothic Quarter. Jun our desk clerk was so gracious and helpful. The room had everything we needed and more. Every attention to detail, including fresh flowers, chocolates and, for American delight, a well stocked refrigerator with large ice cubes. DO NOT be deterred by the narrow streets, you are living in history, with every modern convenience.

Hotel 1898 is a luxurious hotel housed in a restored 19th-century building, which was once a tobacco factory. The hotel features a stunning rooftop terrace called La Isabela, offering breathtaking views of Barcelona. Guests can enjoy the indoor pool and escape the bustling city below. The colonial design adds to the historic charm of this 4-star hotel located on the famous Ramblas street. With its Mediterranean-style restaurant and open-air bar terrace, Hotel 1898 offers an excellent dining experience.
So, what can I say about this place and the service my family received this past week...absolutely wonderful!!! Booked this place for my mothers 60th and right from the first day when checking in, staff where attentive, so helpful and knowledgeable! The hotel is so clean, smells amazing (wish I knew what they used), in a great location with everything you could want nearby. The room cleaners do a fantastic job everyday and the breakfast buffet selection is absolutely divine! So much variety and choice, so you can easily try something new everyday and not feel bored. They constantly come around asking if you are OK and need anything else and offer to make fresh omelettes etc. Without even asking, they surprised my mother during breakfast with champagne, chocolate cake and a song and when they came back to their room later that night, had a whole bottle and another slice of cake waiting for them which was delicious and so thoughtful! The staff are so knowledgeable and friendly and know the area really well and have great recommendations for places to go visit and eat at and everything was spot on! A massive thank you to Iris who worked the front desk at reception, as she was the one I spoke to the most and was an amazing member of staff who was always smiling and helped our family enjoy our stay this week. Also, a big thank you to Ana, who works in the dining area, who was always on hand during breakfast, made sure everything was spotless and ran smoothly. I got to say thank you to Ana but not Iris unfortunately, so please give them both something special on behalf of my family. Will definitely recommend this place to colleagues, family and friends in the future and I hope to visit some day again! Thank you Hotel 1898!

There’s a lot of construction going on in front and around hotel, the water was off for one whole day, they did take the free chocolates from the dining room and unwrap them into a bowl and add some old fruit as an apology, so that was nice, but so was that shower 24 hrs later after a long flight. After that the hotel experience was excellent. Location was great, spa was wonderful, for the allowed 30 min a day for free. Rooftop was very relaxing too. Would definitely stay again!

I stayed with by partner for 2 nights. The hotel loby is very fancy and spacious. There is an elevator that works with a hotel card, same to open the room. The restaurant for the breakfast it's located on the 1st floor and it was quite rich. On my -1 it's located their spa zone. The spa however it is not exactly part of the hotel it's an external company, so you need to call to book a slot and that slot is 30 minutes only per day per person, which I didn't find written on their website. The other surprise it is that they have 150€ deposit for incidentals. The hotel is located on la Ramble, sadly with the current construction is loosing its charm and the fact that is at la Ramble is actually a disadvantage. The street itself where the hotel is it's a quiet and clean one but as soon as you reach the main one it becomes dirty and also doesn't feel very safe. Multiple people in thr evenings trying to sell weed, lots of homeless people. Our room was on the 2nd floor and had a view to an indoor "artificial garden". It was quiet. The room itself was nice, huge bed, tall ceilings.

This stay was a present for my partner’s 30th birthday. I specifically chose this hotel because it offered a sauna and steam room. Unfortunately, when we checked in, we were not informed that these facilities were out of service. Later, when we asked for directions to the spa, we were told that only the hydromassage pool was available. I was disappointed, as we don’t usually book hotels this expensive, and I had chosen it especially for my partner’s birthday. The staff offered to make up for it with complimentary breakfast or a drink, which was a lovely gesture, but I would have appreciated an email before our arrival mentioning that some facilities were unavailable. I had the option to cancel the reservation the day before, and I likely would have done so. When I booked the spa slots in advance via email, there was no mention of the issue either. The room itself was not particularly special for the price paid—some things were broken. It wasn’t a major problem, but at this price point, I expected everything to be in excellent condition. Overall, while the staff were absolutely lovely and helpful, the stay didn’t feel worth the cost. For next time, I think it’s better to book a more affordable hotel if you’re planning to spend most of your time outside anyway.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights after our 14 day tour. Location was fantastic, near las ramblas and the gothetic quarter. Honest greens, just beneath the hotel was a great dinner option too for those with dietary restrictions! The staff were friendly and the rooftop terrace was awesome! We had a pitcher of Sangras and yum !! Looking out to the Baltic Sea was so memorable! The sun!! We also met some great people up there!! Just one thing, there are taxis out front of the hotel, be mindful! We took a cab early morning to the airport, and the driver took advantage of us. Next time, I would ask the driver how much to the airport (normally 40 euros) and follow it up with a photo of the cabs licence plate and number of the taxi. The driver screwed us over stating besides the meter there was an additional tax that was certainly unreasonable, we ended up paying 13 euro in taxes - so the cab cost us 50 euros!!! . We were in a rush so - lessons learned!! Other than the Barcelona taxis - all good!!! I complained to the company but they couldn’t do anything since I didnt have the cab #!!

The highlight of my review is of the hospitality. We arrived at 1:30 pm, too early to get to the room, but we were exhausted after a day of travel from the US. We both fell asleep in the lobby, but it was sunny so I decided we would go up to the rooftop deck. My husband ended up falling asleep in a high pub chair but the waitress ushered him to a sofa bed so he could rest. I was delighted by the views and had a glass of wine for 5 euros (shocked at how cheap compared to the US). Of course, exhaustion soon took over and I also fell asleep. My first impression of this woman (or Spanish culture in general) was that they are supportive of rest. Being a weary traveler, it was comforting that she allowed us both to rest without judgement. Literally we were sleeping in public and she was supportive of that. This is entirely different than the US and it was so welcoming and comforting. Also of note, the figs at the breakfast buffet were the best I have ever had. The figs are better than those on my trees at home. My one complaint is that I could not change the temperature of the room. It said it was 18C but it felt more like 24C in our room. I opened the window but could not leave it open due to all the cigarette smoke from the street. Would definitely recommend getting a garden view room, if possible. Overall, we had an excellent stay.

Nobu Hotel Barcelona is a stylish and trendy hotel offering 259 sleek guest rooms and suites with panoramic views of the city and the Mediterranean Sea. The hotel features the world-class Nobu Restaurant, as well as Kozara, a Japanese-inspired tapas bar in the lobby. The accommodations blend organic materials with refined Japanese nuances, providing comfortable beds, soundproof windows, and modern amenities for a restful stay.
I had such a lovely stay at Nobu Hotel Barcelona. The room was clean, spacious, modern, and incredibly comfortable... The food at their main restaurant on top floor was delicious, and the views of Barcelona were just incredible. The hotel staff was very friendly, and the whole vibe of the place was perfect. A special shout - out to the Hotel Manager on Duty "Gerard Sala" and his team for making me feel like home. I can’t wait to come back.

First time being in Barcelona and I would recommend going to this hotel. For reference I’ve gone on many vacations Bahamas, New York, Calgary too. The rooms were great, nothing much to say about that. Service was amazing we went to Nobu to eat which was really good and had a very nice server. Best of all is probably the location, a lot of things in walking distance like camp nou and a mall. One of the best hotels I’ve been too.

After staying at other Nobu hotels…. This one is very disappointing. The building used to be a hotel from 70s… Torre Catalunya… they put a big reception and spiral staircase in it and now charge 10times more. The rooms are tiny and horrible. The HVAC system in a cupboard behind the tv 😂. It constantly hums, you will not be able to sleep. The AC does what it wants… unable to change temperature…. They do not provide clean sheets daily. I had a stain on bedsheet, same stain was there 2 days after …. All they do is make the beds. Bathroom has mould, tooth paste, or items you'd expect from a 5* hotel not to be seen anywhere. Dust everywhere, run your finger on surfaces and you will see. Positive things, breakfast is good, staff are nice. Overall not worth the money, if you are expecting a 5* hotel, then prepare to be disappointed. Its maybe between 3* and 4* Update hotel responded: If you are charging 5* prices then you should provide 5* service. Change stained sheets and please get your story straight, as I asked the reception how often you change the beddings, they said EVERY DAY. Also to add, If i say the room temperature can not be changed, it means it could not be changed, no matter what temperature was selected, it jumped to 26 degrees.

Breakfast was amazing and Jana, our server, went above and beyond. The flat whites were perfect, Jana put a flower design on top. Food was flavorful, many different tastes. The rooms are roomy and nicely decorated. The only thing I didn’t care for is the lights. There isnt a different switch for the bathroom so if you need light in there you have to light the whole room.

First off, I have to say this review is long overdue since it’s been a while since I’ve stayed at this location. Nonetheless, I wanted to warn people about their belongings while staying at this hotel. During my stay, I accidentally forgot to put my Chanel earrings away and left them on the nightstand (which is my mistake). Upon my return to the room, room service had come to clean and my earrings were no longer on the nightstand. When I reported this to the front desk they were adamant that I must have misplaced them, which I know for a fact was not the case. I told them I left them on the nightstand and they advised they’d speak with the cleaning staff. After they did, they contacted me and told me the cleaning staff reported they did not take my belongings and insisted I misplaced them. They then offered me one free night the next time I returned, which obviously I never did. I later also found that someone had gone through my shopping bags, which I left out because there was no way I could fit them in the safe. They took the dust bags to some brand new Dior bags. At this point, I did not bother to report this because of the result when I reported the earrings. Like I said, I take responsibility for leaving my stuff out but you would think at a hotel like Nobu these things would not happen. My stay here otherwise was amazing. The most amazing spa and restaurant!!! I would say, if you plan to stay here just be cautious of your belongings.

Rooms were clean and spacious. My only complaint would be the showers. Everytime you take one despite having a towel down, water leaks out. Staff were great and attentive from the front desk to the restaurants. We chose this location because we were going to be taking the train from Barca to Madrid and didn’t want to lug around huge suitcases. It’s a two minute walk and very convenient.

Formerly known as Hotel Omm, Sir Victor Hotel in Barcelona is a stylish property with a modern and youthful vibe. The hotel offers sleek and contemporary rooms equipped with modern amenities such as speakers, coffee machines, rain showers, and well-stocked minibars. The highlight of the hotel is its rooftop area featuring a pool and a vibrant bar with stunning views of La Pedrera-Casa Mila and the iconic Sagrada Familia.
Our stay at Sir Victor Hotel was absolutely wonderful! We arrived around 10 AM and, having requested an early check-in beforehand, the team welcomed us so warmly. They immediately took our luggage, recommended a great brunch spot nearby, and even took our phone number to let us know as soon as the room was ready. Just 45 minutes later, they called us back – such thoughtful service! Throughout our stay, the staff were incredibly kind and attentive, always greeting us with a smile and asking, “How’s your stay going? Can we help with anything?” – which made us feel so well taken care of. The room itself was spacious, full of natural light, and very comfortable. The hotel’s location is amazing – so central and close to everything, which made exploring Barcelona so easy and enjoyable. Everything about this hotel felt effortless and welcoming. We truly loved our time here and cannot recommend Sir Victor enough if you’re visiting Barcelona! 😍

This beautiful hotel, within walking distance to the Sagrada Familia Basilica and near so many restaurants, was the perfect place to stay. The only downside was there was no place to plug in our nightlight where the toilet was. The toilet and bidet were separated by a wall from the wash basin, where there was an outlet, so we had to keep the full bathroom light on overnight. Otherwise, the room was beautiful, and the hotel staff very competent. The restaurant even made tomato/olive oil toast special for me on request. Their rooftop bar is excellent as well. We enjoyed seeing other rooftops, like another hotel designed by Gaudi, from our vantage point

Sir Victor, as I understand, markets itself as a five star hotel. The hotel’s design, while a bit dated, holds up and there are nice features that give a whimsically sophisticated brand experience. Think similar to The Standard. Location is great if you’re looking to be in the core luxury retail corridor with great food within a 10-15 minute walking distance. I would say the service is rather impersonal though. We hotel hopped for ten days across Barcelona and broader Catalonia, all at four- and five-starred properties. This was the only place where it felt transactional and minimal, rather than a welcoming guest experience. That felt starkly inconsistent from the other places we stayed. American prices at the bars (not unexpected, but inflated nonetheless), and the spa’s inattentive cleaning (a lot of abandoned items despite it being a very quiet afternoon, a shower door missing, etc.) also are worth noting. All to say, it’s worth considering a stay, but I wouldn’t label this a five-star experience.

Our stay at the Sir Victor hotel was definitely a let down. First the positives: rooftop bar was wonderful, decor and style of the lobby were very nice and chic, a good welcome cava, and the location is great. Negatives: service was horrendous! We were early as most US flights arrive early, but we didn't think it would be an issue since my husband is Ambassador Elite with Marriott. We were wrong, room was not available and not only did they not acknowledge his status, which every other Marriott property does, they did not provide him with the usual option of points or breakfast. We know sometimes rooms may be still occupied so we waited, but asked that the front desk young lady tell us once it was ready and where we were sitting. 4 hours pass by without any update, so I inquired about the room and she stated that it was actually ready, first knock. We were traveling with another couple, and their room was not ready, they were supposedly cleaning it, so we said we would go up to our room and please call immediately when it was ready. Another 1.5 hours pass and I call back down, again surprised when she tells me it's ready with no notice, second knock. Rooms were less than stellar, and not at all like the photos, hallways were extremely dark. Each time we came and went from the hotel, there was no hello or good bye from the staff, we felt like we were interrupting their conversations. One exception was the one young lady at the front desk who actually said hello, was very helpful getting us a cab to the airport and was very friendly and helpful. We unfortunately didn't get her name and only encountered her on our last day at the hotel, but the 2 stars are for her. We travel quite a bit, and my husband travels weekly for business and this by far has been the worst service experience in any country/city, especially for a 5 star hotel.

I had an exceptional stay at Sir Viktor Hotel in Barcelona. From the moment I arrived, the service was outstanding I was warmly welcomed with a glass of champagne, and to my delight, my room was upgraded. The hospitality truly made a difference. A special thank you to Javme and Lesmes at the front desk. They were incredibly helpful throughout my stay, assisting me with breakfast arrangements, helping me get taxis, and making sure every detail was taken care of. Their professionalism and kindness made everything effortless. Sir Viktor exceeded my expectations in every way. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for comfort, excellent service, and a memorable experience in Barcelona.

Everything is amazing about this hotel, this is the second time I stay here. 1- The location is perfect near Passiege de Gracia, but not very close to the busy and noisy area. 2- The room is amazing with comfy bed and fantastic room service food. Ask for the room with balcony if you enjoy a cup coffee in a quite atmosphere. 3- The lobby: to me this is the best part, a very nice seating area to work with a great coffee and food options from their restaurant Mr. porter. 4- The people: very welcoming and helpful. My favorite is Jaume somehow he is always there 24/7 and helped me call a Padel court to make sure they rent rackets. (The guy in the photo 😃) Very much recommend this hotel and I already booked it for my next visit :)

Although I booked through Marriott, there is no mention of Marriott anywhere throughout the hotel. Don't even think about getting any elite member benefits because there were none, not even a late checkout. The rooms are old and poorly maintained. The mugs had visible stains, and housekeep didn't even bother to change to clean ones the next day. The towels were filthy; one even had what looked like small nails or debris stuck in it. Several electrical outlets in the room didn’t work, making it impossible to charge devices properly. Not to mention there were not enough outlets in the room in the first place. What makes it worse is the front desk staff. They were completely inattentive and transactional, never lifting their heads to see who was coming in, making no eye contact, and failing to greet any guests. We were staying at other hotels in Barcelona, Madrid, and Valencia, and this one is definitely a five-star hotel. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. I strongly do not recommend staying here.

This would be a great hotel for someone who likes to party, but for those individuals that like to go to sleep before 1 am this isn’t the place for you. They play incredibly loud music in their downstairs bar/club that did not get shut off until 1 am (on a Monday night) and can be heard and felt (base vibrations) in your room. We did call the front desk to ask if they could lower the volume and were told that they would not. Seemed like they were more interested in being a bar/club than a hotel. I wish I read more reviews ahead of time as this seems to be a common complaint which they are obviously not interested in addressing. Hopefully this saves someone from a sleepless night!

ME Barcelona is a stylish and contemporary city hotel located in a prime spot just steps away from Placa de Catalunya. As part of the upscale Spanish chain, Melia, it offers sleek and bright rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows and modern furnishings. The hotel focuses on personalized service, catering to individual interests such as music, art, and popular culture. Guests can enjoy social spaces that attract both visitors and the local community.
We had such a great experience at ME Barcelona. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and always happy to answer questions or give local tips—which really made a difference during our stay. The hotel itself is beautiful. The design is modern and stylish, with a relaxed, upscale vibe throughout. Our room was super comfortable, spotless, and well-equipped with everything we needed. We especially appreciated the attention to detail, like the lighting, soundproofing, and overall layout. One of the highlights was the rooftop area—it had great views of the city and was the perfect place to unwind in the evening. The location of the hotel is also fantastic—central, walkable, and close to shops, restaurants, and some key sights. Overall, ME Barcelona really impressed us. It struck the perfect balance between luxury and comfort, and we left feeling refreshed and well taken care of. Would absolutely stay here again!

Our stay at ME Barcelona was truly one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had. From the very moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional. Marco greeted us right at the taxi door, warmly welcomed us, opened the door, and took care of our luggage with such professionalism and kindness. At check-in, Albert made the process seamless and ensured we had everything we needed for a perfect stay. Cristian went above and beyond by recommending the best dining spots in Barcelona, and Liza, who for us is the very definition of guest experience, made us feel genuinely valued and cared for throughout our stay. The room quality, impeccable service, modern design, and delicious food all exceeded our expectations. The rooftop pool and bar were the perfect finishing touch, creating an exclusive and unforgettable experience. Thank you, ME Barcelona, for making our stay so special. We will certainly be back! Fam. We were delighted with this hotel. The location is spot on, the room is lovely and the staff so helpful and friendly. I would especially like to mention Jackie in the breakfast dining room as she is superb at her job. Looked after us so well. I would highly recommend this hotel.

I was at the ECTRIMS conference, last week, and I stayed at the ME Barcelona and I couldn't have been more satisfied, and even surprised about how well I was treated. The bartenders at the bar, Fancon and Paul were extremely friendly and we had a great time just shooting the breeze every night after my conference was finished. The bartender at the second floor bar was also very accommodating. When I go back to Barcelona whether it's for business or pleasure I will definitely stay here. I also recommend this hotel for everyone else regardless of occasion.

I would like to give special recognition to Jackie. Every single morning she greeted everyone with a warm smile and was always ready to help with anything we needed. She is incredibly attentive, kind, and makes the whole experience feel welcoming and pleasant. Employees like Jackie truly make a difference — she represents the best of this hotel. Thank you, Jackie, for your outstanding service!

Hi ME Barcelona! I had a wonderful dinner last Friday at your hotel. Fantastic customer service and mouth watering dishes. My original plan was just to have a few drinks but after meeting Patricia who’s customer service and patience is outstanding we had to stay. Thanks again Patricia !

Cannot say enough good things about my time at ME! Lisa on the Aura Team and the entire front desk team were an absolute delight from the minute we checked! This was the start of our wedding trip and the whole staff at ME were nothing but wonderful! In addition to being upgraded and having complimentary cava, we were always greeted with warm smiles and friendly people everywhere in the hotel! We will be recommending this location to everyone we know and definitely will be staying again! The location, the breakfast, the pool and the whole staff are a full five star experience!!!

Nestled in Barcelona's Gothic quarter, Mercer Hotel Barcelona offers a sophisticated stay in a historic building. This boutique hotel provides an intimate experience with its 28 rooms and suites, blending old and new seamlessly. Guests can enjoy a tranquil courtyard adorned with orange trees, a rooftop pool with umbrella-covered loungers, and an upscale restaurant. The hotel's concierge is on hand to guide guests to the best tapas meals in the area.
Beautiful, cozy hotel with historical significance! The staff was absolutely incredible, I could not be happier with our stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff was more than happy to tell you about the features of the hotel, and the food was fantastic! The restaurant in the hotel was no ordinary hotel restaurant. The service was impeccable and the food was some of the best I have ever eaten. The food was truly world class. I was blown away with the Mercer and everyone I met during my stay, I would highly recommend staying here during your trip to Barcelona!

The staff are very welcoming and friendly, and the building itself is beautiful. The hotel has a warm atmosphere and is in a great location. However, to be completely honest, it does not worth the price. The carpet had spots, water in the room was not free, and the junior suite simply did not live up to its cost.

This hotel is incredible. The staff is very kind and personable and attentive. They genuinely want you to have a great experience. We were traveling with two small children and they were kind and helpful with the children as well. I’m gluten-free and very limited in my diet and they have many options for breakfast. The breakfast is divine. The rooms are comfortable and the rooftop pool is very relaxing. The hotel feels peaceful and tranquil, even in a big city. We cannot wait to book our next trip to stay at the Mercer!

This was a great hotel for our friends’ getaway. The service was exceptional and the staff truly made our trip with their excellent recommendations. It was great quality stay, great value, very comfortable. The location is right in the center of the sites while still being quiet.
Kristi P — Google review
The hotel’s most distinctive feature is its unique location — built over ancient Roman ruins, it offers a rare sense of history and character. The central location is excellent, with easy access to key attractions, and the overall privacy of the property is a definite plus. That said, the experience doesn’t quite meet the standard expected of a true 5-star property, especially given the high price point. Service was inconsistent — they provide earlier check-in which we requested ahead of time. Upon check-in, staff maintained a professional front, the initial interaction lacked warmth until we saw the manager. Next day, we waited over an hour for breakfast one morning because they forgot to put in our main order. Later that evening, we received a fantastic dinner recommendation from the manager who call ahead to reserve a nice space for us, highlighting the variability of the service. Room quality left much to be desired. There is no sound proof. In our superior room, the king-size bed had a noticeable dent from wear, and the closet door was chipped and dented near the handle. The extra shower hooks were oddly placed in a dry area above the trash can. The ceiling in our friend’s room had visible water stains from the pool above . All the rooms we saw had a shower slab that shifted underfoot — possibly a drainage feature, but should have something that explains it in the room. Additionally, our door didn’t close properly, you have to slam it shut, which seemed to also be the case with the room next door — a basic issue that impacts both security and comfort given the poor sound proof at the hotel. Overall, while the historical significance and location of the hotel are impressive, greater attention to detail in room upkeep and more consistent service are needed to truly deliver on its 5-star promise.

We checked into the Mercer today & have had the best experience. Luke, the staff member, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome at the hotel. We got a personal tour with historical facts of the hotel, glasses champagne & charming commentary.

Pssst...I would nostly like for this hotel to remain a secret just for the ones who know...😇 What a find...I can't remember when we had such a positive experience in a hotel. And we always travel to 4S and 5 star hotels. The attitude of the staff, the concierge, the flexibility of the kitchen, cleaning the rooms twice a day, the location..and to top it all..what an oasis...You step thru the door and instantly You are transfered to an oasis of tranquility...in a blink of an eye, You forget, that You are residing in the centre of one of the most visited tourist towns in the world...the "inside garden" is an oasis...we were alone at the rooftop bar/pool/lounge...I can't reccomend this hotel enough. If You are looking for a top level service, great food, historical ambiance, tranquility amidst bustling city...than this is an oasis You should choose...will surely return. I can't even imagine going enywhere else in Barcelona

Love this hotel! Stylish lobby mixed with the old worth authentic Gothic Quarter and a sleek, modern glass atrium with outdoor seating and gorgeous plants. The breakfast was delicious and service was excellent in the restaurant. The staff is incredibly helpful, kind, and friendly. One of the concierge team members walked us about 7 minutes to the best/fastest area to catch a taxi! Our suite was spacious and had a large balcony with chairs and tables. Bed was super comfortable.

Nestled in the heart of Passeig de Gracia, Margot House is a serene boutique hotel named after a character from The Royal Tenenbaums. Its discreet entrance leads to a tranquil atmosphere akin to a private residence. The nine Scandi-style rooms feature modern furnishings and neutral tones, while the communal space offers an airy setting for the complimentary continental breakfast buffet.
Margot House in Barcelona is by far the best accommodation I've experienced in the city. The team is incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel at home from the moment you arrive. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Barcelona where luxury, culture, and stunning architecture meet. There are fantastic restaurants and shops within walking distance, and the metro is nearby, making it easy to explore. The rooms are beautifully designed with meticulous attention to detail, offering stunning views of Casa Batlló, and the cleanliness is impeccable. The welcome letter is absolutely informative, providing all the key details you need for your stay. I will definitely be coming back, but with only 9 rooms available, I recommend booking in advance to experience this hidden gem!

So disappointed ! Despite a good online communication, this "hotel" has no direct access to the street, and this is not mentioned at all on their website or any platform. Our room was not only very used, with no natural light (meaning you need to keep the lights on all day long..), but we had to listen to the reception ringing phone and banging doors all night. We left right in the morning, after having paid for 2 nights, without any excuses from an absolutely unconcerned staff. In the same district and for the same price, we found a true 4* hotel with great service.
Pier P — Google review
We booked their largest room and the room was sunny and elegant with a comfortable bed. The staff was kind and helpful and the common space was perfect for both breakfast and lounging with a book. It's small and intimate -- feels like an air bnb except with someone else preparing your breakfast. Book it, you won't regret it.
Melissa H — Google review
I booked at Margot House due to a recommendation in the Condé Nast magazine. I was quite disappointed. Good things first: location is indeed great and the design of the common areas quite nice and artsy, and Aesop products are a nice touch. That’s about it. Bad things: rooms without window and irregularly cleaned, very noisy and chatty staff at the reception whose endless chatting we could hear from our room, the breakfast experience is odd (we cannot prepare our own coffee in the machine, the variety of items are quite limited and basic for a boutique hotel). I would not return.

Fantastic stay! You know what it feels like when you find something great but just enough under the radar to not be wildly adored by everyone else? That is this place. Reviews here are positive but undersell this small, very well-appointed, 9 bed boutique hotel in a perfect location. It has a great vibe, wonderful hospitality (they let me host guests for wine in one of the common rooms), great breakfast (though much cheaper if you buy in advance). I had a street-facing room and it was huge and full of light. Would stay here again and again! The GM, Narcis, was also great - clearly knows what he is doing in running a hotel.

Had a wonderful time at the hotel. It was situated in the heart of Barcelona, really close to everything. Had the most splendid service from Andrea, she is simply amazing and ensured we had a beautiful stay. The other staff were also amazing, though Andrea stood out and went that extra mile to help us out. Thank you guys for the wonderful accomodation. Will definitely recommend and be back

Beyond excellent location if you want to be in the heart of Barcelona. The hotel is small and boutique. The rooms are amazing and although face the main shopping street , very quiet. The only thing I could say as a slight minus is breakfast as it was almost just like making your own at home (which is fine) I think I was hoping for a little more options. But other than that it was great from start to finish. Would highly recommend.

Exceptionally friendly staff. First time visitors to Barcelona and the staff could not have been more obliging and courteous. I really liked how hotel staffs are so friendly and kind. My family went to green house and the staffs were amazing they were kindly asking if you need anything. The food was delicious. I would recommend you the mushrooms they had. When we came to our room we were welcomed with a set of cava. When you go to Barcelona you should stay at Pulitzer hotels.

Wife and I stayed here for 10 days and overall had a wonderful experience. Breakfast was exceptional. Service was all around incredible. The internet/wifi was not the greatest. Had to reset it at minimum once a day if not more than that. Black out shades in rooms were perfect. A little noisy because of location but nothing a sound app couldn’t drown out. One of the bartenders, Patricio, was super personable and a great conversationalist. Made us feel right at home. 9/10 would recommend.

Centrally located! I was here for the last leg of my honeymoon and Pultizer did not disappoint one bit! Highly recommend staying here. The attention to detail was phenomenal and felt like all of the staff were friends to my wife and I. Special shout out to Alba for gifting us a champagne bottle for our special trip. The lobby and terrace were also amazing. Look out for special events on the terrace. Great music by DJs! Spent some time getting a few drinks before our FC Barcelona game in the lobby bar. Had great conversations and drinks with lobby bartenders and staff. Another special shout out to Pato (Patricio), Zito and Sofie who took care of us well and made some great cocktails before our game. I will definitely be back !!

I stayed here last September 2025 and had a fantastic time. The location was just great - walking distance from the Plaza and right smack in the Old City, very close to a lot of museums, churches, and other establishments. We stayed for 5 days but would’ve loved to extend. Mae was also so, so welcoming and accommodating and made us feel at home the entire time we were there! Breakfast was great - would recommend to get it with your room!

Any trip to a new city has to start with a place to stay. Location, price and amenities all figure into what is always a tough decision. The Pulitzer checks off all the boxes: situated in the heart of the city, walking distance from just about all you want to see, well-priced for a luxury hotel, with great rooms, and a hip bar (both on the ground floor and roof). What it also has that makes it a must stay is the unbelievable staff. Friendly, knowledgeable, and ready to help with anything. Wouldn't stay anywhere else when I come back.

Hotel Condes de Barcelona, also known as El Condes, is a luxurious hotel located in a 19th-century property, Casa Daurella. It has maintained its reputation as one of the best boutique hotels in Barcelona's city center. The hotel offers chic amenities such as a rooftop bar and an outdoor pool.
We had a wonderful time staying at Hotel Condes de Barcelona for three nights. The location is excellent, safe, and a walkable distance to many of the great parts of this city you’d like to visit. The front desk staff are very helpful with arranging taxis if necessary. All the staff were friendly, warm and welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. One of the absolutely worst and most uncomfortable hotels I have ever stayed in. I have stayed in backpackers that were more comfortable and better maintained. For the price there are any many better hotels in the area, we travelled around the Spain and Portugal for 3.5 weeks and stayed in 3 hotels in Barcelona (both better priced and much better quality). The rooms need a LOT of improvements to be of an acceptable level and feels like no money has been spent on maintaining the hotel in many many years. The bed was less comfortable than a fold out sofa bed, it squeaked, was lumpy and generally very uncomfortable. The pillows were old and lumpy as well. The aircon was terrible and didn’t cool the room properly. The bathroom had ants crawling around, had black mold around the shower, the toilet roll holder was detached from the wall, there were tiles missing from the walls and even a small hole. The bathroom design is terrible where it is connected to the bedroom with glass with inbuilt lights, so if someone turns on the bathroom light during the night then the bedroom is instantly as if the main lights were all on. The lobby has fake pleather walls with many areas where the top layer has come off and just looks tatty. Breakfast was average at best. We had a friend traveling with us and they also had issues with their room and had to change rooms due to black mold in the bathroom. When we told the staff they offered to change our room, however it was too late for it to be an acceptable solution. The level of things that need to be improved in the rooms should have been picked up long before now if they cared about maintaining a quality hotel and should not need to wait for a complaint.

I stayed 4 nights and had an amazing time. The hotel is in a great location, close to the stores and in a very safe area. Customer services was stellar, everyone was friendly, professional and went the extra mile to make feel welcome and comfortable. The hotel has a breakfast buffet, good enough to grab a bite if you’re in hurry. There are several restaurants and options to eat within feet of the hotel. The room was very clean, comfy and spacious. Be aware that the hotel is next to a busy street and blvd, but the noise wasn’t bad. I’ll definitely be back.

Shayma A — Google review
I chose Hotel Condes de Barcelona because the online photos made it look sleek and modern, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. The images show a stylish, contemporary hotel, yet the reality feels like stepping back into the early 2000s. The rooms are dated, worn, and clearly suffering from years of deferred maintenance. It’s obvious no real investment has been made in upkeep for a long time. The bed was one of the worst I’ve experienced, squeaky, uneven, and less comfortable than a fold-out sofa. The furniture was tired, the finishes dull, and even small details like lighting and fixtures felt neglected. The overall atmosphere just doesn’t match the premium impression the hotel tries to project online. The gym was another disappointment. Several machines were broken or out of order, and the space felt like an afterthought rather than a proper fitness area. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if the last real renovation was done around 2005, back when having Ethernet cables in the bathroom was considered a luxury. What really sealed my impression, though, was being asked to pay €4 to have a spoon delivered to my room. I hadn’t ordered food, I simply needed a spoon. I was told it would be free if I came to the front desk to get it myself. Charging for something that basic feels petty and out of touch with what guests expect from a four-star hotel. The one-star reviews aren’t exaggerating. For the price, you’d expect comfort, care, and consistency. Not a tired room, broken equipment, and nickel-and-diming over a spoon. Until this hotel invests in proper renovation, I can’t recommend staying here.

Seventy Barcelona is a modern and stylish boutique hotel located in the heart of Barcelona. It offers luxurious spa facilities, chic interior design, and comfortable, spacious rooms. Situated between Passeig de Gracia and the Gracia district, it provides easy access to popular attractions such as Las Ramblas and La Pedrera. The hotel features a restaurant, cocktail bar, vegan spa, leafy interior patio, and a rooftop terrace with a glass pool.
Modern, attractive hotel at a great location. We spent the first half of our honeymoon here. The room was nice — private, clean, updated, and we particularly enjoyed the in-room sound system. The rooftop pool was nice, the hotel bar is great, and the gym/spa are solid. The location is fantastic — it’s easy to walk to most of the well known attractions within 45 minutes, and there are several amazing bars and restaurants within 5 minutes or less. We’d be happy to stay again.

I recently stayed at Seventy Barcelona with my partner to celebrate my birthday, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. The hotel has such a beautiful, modern design — stylish yet welcoming — and everything feels perfectly thought out. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay special. They even surprised us with a small birthday gesture, which made the experience feel so personal and memorable. Our room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully decorated, with a super comfortable bed and all the amenities we could need. The rooftop pool and spa area were highlights — the perfect place to relax after exploring the city. Breakfast was delicious every morning, with plenty of fresh options and great coffee. The location couldn’t be better either — just a short walk to Passeig de Gràcia and lots of great restaurants and shops nearby. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Seventy Barcelona made my birthday trip truly special, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a stylish, comfortable, and welcoming place to stay in the heart of Barcelona. We’ll definitely be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely chic hotel. The bed was particularly comfortable and the housekeeping was excellent. We enjoyed the breakfast very much as there was a wide selection of dishes and staff were very helpful at dealing with dietary requitements. For us the best part of the hotel was the spa which we went to every day for half an hour after walking all day. The hydro pool I found particularly relaxing to massage my tired muscles. Would highly recommend for a visit to Barcelona.

The Seventy Hotel exceeded our expectations. Our room with a patio was spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The bar in the evening was an active, vibrant scene with a soundtrack provided by live music. The breakfast buffet, as well as cooked to order eggs/omelets, was a wonderful surprise with a fantastic variety of options. The employees from the front desk to the restaurant were very helpful and always greeted us with a smile. And finally, if you are looking for a wonderful place to stay in Barcelona, we highly recommend Hotel Seventy.

Great hotel in a great location! Really liked the authentic neighborhood. Ahmed at the front desk was fantastic along with all of the other front desk/luggage staff. Our only complaint was the breakfast buffet. Staff were not friendly and selections were not great (live in Europe so spoiled) but the little bakery around the corner was delicious! (Maybe restaurant staff was a little off that day). Balcony/terrace rooms were lovely - we stayed prior to cruise and really enjoyed it - especially the neighborhood! You will not be disappointed.

Phenomenal hotel from the start. Greeted our large group with Cava and efficiency. The room was large and very comfortable, strong and hot shower, great beds with plenty of pillows. The staff was top notch-couldn’t do enough to help us out. Huge shout out to Alessandra in reception-she gave us the best restaurant and shopping recommendations and made all of the reservations for us. She even sent someone to help with the air conditioning at 11 pm. The food was better than most other hotels, including the breakfast buffet. I can’t say enough about the hospitality and excellence at every level. I hope to return with my family! ¡Muchisimas Gracias!

Customer service was perfect. Everyone was helpful and friendly. We were able to get along fine with our limited Spanish. The location is unbeatable. Some online reviews for the restaurant were awful and I completely disagree. They have a good mix of Spanish and other offerings and a nice wine selection. Everything we ordered was excellent. The common areas and rooms look so luxe. My only suggestion there would be to provide washcloths in the bathroom.

Hotel
Hotel Duquesa de Cardona Barcelona is an upscale establishment offering sleek and stylish accommodations with stunning port views. Housed in a 19th-century palace, this boutique hotel exudes elegance and high standards of hospitality. The rooftop terrace, La Teressa del Duquesa, provides a remarkable setting for al fresco dining while overlooking the vibrant port area. Situated on the edge of the Gothic Quarter, guests can enjoy contemporary rooms adorned with wood and stone accents.
We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Duquesa de Cardona and would absolutely consider returning on our next trip to Barcelona. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Our airline had unfortunately lost our luggage, and we arrived without any adapters—but the hotel graciously provided one, which was a huge relief. The team was consistently friendly and attentive throughout our stay. One of our favorite features was the rooftop pool. It was the perfect place to unwind and take in stunning views of the marina. We ended up spending quite a bit of time there, especially enjoying the rooftop food—so much so that we ordered the calamari twice! The only thing worth noting is that the room was on the smaller side. It was manageable for two people with two large suitcases, but we did need to rearrange a bit of furniture to make it work comfortably. That said, it was a minor inconvenience in an otherwise great experience. I was initially unsure about the location, as it’s not right as centrally located as other hotels I've stayed at, but we ended up loving it. The hotel offers easy access to the Gothic Quarter and is just a short walk to multiple metro stops, with plenty of excellent food options nearby. Overall, Hotel Duquesa de Cardona delivered on comfort, service, and atmosphere. I’d definitely stay here again!

This hotel is wonderful! We chose this location due to the proximity to the cruise port. We are so glad that we did. We had 2 adults and 2 teenagers in a room with 3 beds and it was the perfect size. There is a beautiful rooftop area and the location is close to the beach and a shopping mall. The best part of this hotel however, was the service. From the moment that we arrived the service was top notch. It felt like a luxury hotel. They immediately grabbed our bags and took them to the room. They recommended restaurants and answered any question that we had. When we needed taxis, they literally went to the street and flagged taxis down for us. It was incredible. We will stay at this hotel when we return in the future. Thank you for the amazing service!

We stayed six nights at this hotel and loved it. The room was comfortable and cleaned every day. The staff was friendly and very helpful. They had live music and a free wine tasting while we were there. The rooftop bar is lovely. Also it was easy to walk to La Rambla, the Born neighborhood and Sagrada Familia. Highly recommend.

The hotel was charming and clean with a reasonable rate. There is AC, which is very much appreciated, especially on summer days! The location was perfect as we were close to the beach, shops, bus stops, and metro. We also felt safe walking around late at night. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially when our flight got canceled. 100% recommend this place!

The DUQUESSA hotel collection in Barcelona is truly a gem that exemplifies exceptional hospitality. Under the professional guidance of BEA, the dedicated manager, the team radiates warmth and efficiency. MARTA, another remarkable member of this outstanding staff, perfectly complements BEA's leadership, ensuring that every guest's needs are met with utmost care. And let's not forget KARIM, my favorite team member, whose friendly demeanor and skillful service add a special touch to the experience. This exquisite hotel boasts magnificent quality, a culinary experience that tantalizes the palate with excellent food, and breathtaking views that highlight its prime location along the stunning Mediterranean bayfront. In short, DUQUESSA is a paradise in the most beautiful town in the world, offering guests an unforgettable stay marked by elegance and comfort.

What a beautiful town in a beautiful location right by the marina in Barcelona. Our rooms were beautifully appointed, the hotel was decorated beautifully, they had an amazing breakfast, and the staff couldn’t have been any more helpful. They have an amazing rooftop restaurant in bar overlooking the entire marina.

We stayed for a week in Barcelona and a high point of our stay was at this hotel. Beautiful, close to the water and full of amenities- it was so perfect. Aisa at the front desk was wonderful and informative and really did a great job helping us anytime we needed anything. Thanks for taking care of us!

I have no complaints. Great staff. Clean room. I think they could have made the bathrooms smaller and the room bigger, but it worked for our brief stay in Barcelona. Great location. Great value.

A truly lovely hotel with fabulous staff and phenomenal location! we had the most pleasant experience here. The receptionist and bell hop were so incredibly friendly on check-in, we felt right at home immediately. The room was a tad small but beautiful and clean. The location was great and right next to the cathedral of Barcelona. The staff provided us with a voucher for a free bottle of wine at their restaurant to celebrate our honeymoon which was so sweet. The restaurant Can Bo was also SO good and the staff there was amazing too! We were so sad when we left because it was such a lovely experience! Would stay here again without a doubt.

I had a wonderful experience staying at the Grand Central Hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome and well taken care of. Special thanks to David at the front desk and Paul at the concierge; both went above and beyond with their warmth and hospitality. The room was spotless and cleaned daily, with a thoughtful touch of chocolates left on the bed after each service. It’s small gestures like these that make a stay feel truly special. Since I traveled to Lisbon for the weekend with only hand luggage, I asked the hotel to hold my suitcase. On my return, even before I officially checked in, my suitcase was already waiting for me in my room, along with fresh fruit and more chocolates as a welcome treat. That level of attention to detail and care left a lasting impression. Overall, my stay was seamless and delightful. I highly recommend the Grand Central Hotel for anyone visiting Barcelona. It’s the perfect blend of comfort, central location, excellent service, and thoughtful hospitality.

We recently held an important corporate meeting at the Grand Hotel Central, and it was a great success - thanks to their outstanding event sales and service teams, especially Carla! As the event organiser, I truly can’t thank the team enough. Our guests were thoroughly impressed by the hotel’s convenient location, beautiful and historic venue and interior, and the delicious food with a great range of options. The staff, particularly Carla, were incredibly accommodating, attentive, and supportive throughout the entire process, from the moment we expressed interest in the venue to the end of the event. Every enquiry was handled with care and professionalism. We highly recommend Grand Hotel Central for meetings and events, and we’ll definitely use their facilities again when we’re next in town! Best wishes Cynthia Tang

I absolutely loved my time at the Grand Hotel Central. The location is perfect, right by the Gothic Quarter and El Born and the hotel itself is stunning, with beautiful rooms and an incredible rooftop pool and terrace overlooking the city. The room was spotless, stylish, and very comfortable, and the little touches (like the Nespresso machine and soft linens) made it feel so special. What really stood out, though, was the staff. Everyone I met was genuinely friendly, helpful, and went out of their way to make my stay easy and enjoyable. They made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. I can’t recommend this hotel enough if you’re looking for a mix of luxury, great service, and a fantastic location. I’ll definitely be back!

Beautiful hotel, great rooms and a fantastic location. Our experience of the staff, particularlt those on reception, was excellent. The only thing that lets it down is some of the breakfast staff who can be quite churlish and can appear rude. You get the impression that some of the girls are doing you a favour by working there. However, the rest of the hotels offering is simply excellent and worth 5*.

Amazing rooftop with stunning views of Barcelona! 🌇 The atmosphere is stylish yet relaxed, perfect for enjoying a cocktail at sunset. The staff is very friendly and the service is excellent. Definitely one of the best spots in the city to unwind and take in the skyline. Highly recommend!
Dr. E — Google review
Unbeatable location. Breakfast was varied and tasty. The superior king room was passable (cozy but nothing special). The cleaning staff were attentive. The Spanish check-in staff were friendly, though some of the night shift receptionists were rude. It’s clear they were trained that way. The real issue is Hilton itself—promising benefits to Diamond members and failing to deliver. The enshitification of Hilton continues.
Jay — Google review
Service and follow-up could be better.. Beautiful hotel in a great location, but the service doesn’t consistently match the high price point. Rooftop service has noticeable flaws, and daily cleaning quality varies from excellent to rushed. After my stay, the feedback request I received led only to a sustainability survey, with no way to comment on the overall experience. While I value sustainability, it should go hand in hand with consistently high standards of hospitality — something that was missing here.

The Kimpton Vividora Barcelona is a luxurious boutique hotel located in the heart of the Gothic Quarter. This swanky five-star gem offers avant-garde accommodation, including the quirky Gothic King Suite with high-quality furnishings and a private balcony overlooking the Cathedral of Barcelona. The hotel embraces modern trends, featuring a rooftop terrace with a pool and bar, fully-equipped gym, in-room yoga mats, and relaxing treatments.
Everything about this hotel was amazing. The check-in team made you feel like royalty. The rooms were so comfortable and there was so many extras provided to us. After a long day, it was nice to come home to a sweet treat and a bottle of wine waiting for us complements of the hotel. The breakfast buffet was fabulous. The rooftop bar and restaurant were also very good and that is the best views of Barcelona by far. We had the best time

The hotel is truly amazing. The room was beautiful, very clean, and all the staff were super kind and very attentive to our needs. Upon my arrival, I discovered that my suitcase had been lost, so I have to give a “huge thank you “ to my concierge Olga, who helped me in every possible way to solve the problems related to not having my luggage with me. A beautiful place to spend few days in Barcellona!

Gorgeous boutique hotel with a few minor cons. Pros: -Spa services offered were fantastic! Sara (?) was fantastic and such a warm presence. -Super cool rooftop—great views! -Fantastic breakfast buffet included in your reservation -Friendly staff -Great central location! Cons: -The rooftop staff can seem a little inattentive on the rooftop, but they are super friendly…I was glad they were having fun! But the vibe might not be to everyone’s taste. -I had the worst burger I ever had (go figure…I had just had a lot of wine and wanted something more substantial 😅) on the rooftop, and I probably should have said something but I was very tired. -The pool is small and shallow, mainly meant for sitting and sunbathing. Can’t beat the views though! I had a lovely experience overall, no place has everything but this checked almost all the boxes!

This place is perfect and everything was within walking distance. Very clean, classy, newer and excellent customer service!! The rooms are small but we expected that. When I mean small, I mean not a whole lot of room to put your suitcases and hang up stuff. I would stay here again for sure.

A perfect place to stay in Barcelona. The rooms are immaculate, the property is gorgeous and perfectly tucked away in the gothic quarter. The staff was so attentive and kind and made sure i had everything I could need or want. Had a wonderful massage and facial with Jaylene. They also have excursions you can book through the hotel that i will have to try next time. I will definitely come back. The rooftop was a great place to hang out and take in the views of the city. Truly a magical place to stay.

We had a terrible terrible experience. We booked through the hotel collection but were given a room in which the drain had an unbearable stink . We discovered this at 10 pm when we were dead tired . On calling the reception they were extremely patronising and after another 30 mts gave us another room which had a sink in it which was also clogged . Anyways we were promised a better room in the morning and were told to keep our luggage packed . We went back after 12:30 pm but still our room was not changed and had to spend another hour talking to the floor manager . Best part is when we were finally given another average room with a sink inside the room only another elderly couple walked in with a key card . La rambla is under construction so this is not the best of locations to stay in . Also the hotel staff is extremely inhospitable and are not bothered about the clientele at all . The rooms are not the best . I feel it’s very overhyped .

Nestled in the heart of Barcelona, Hotel Ohla Eixample is a stunning boutique hotel that seamlessly blends modern design with luxurious comfort. Originally an office building from the 1970s, this architectural gem features a striking geometric facade reminiscent of playful puzzles. Guests are welcomed into warm and spacious rooms adorned with industrial elements like exposed ceilings and vibrant lamps, creating an inviting atmosphere.
We had a wonderful stay! The atmosphere, location, and service were all exceptional. Coming all the way from Saudi Arabia, we truly felt welcomed and well taken care of. The hotel is spotless and clearly prioritizes cleanliness and hygiene. A very special thanks to Olga at the front desk—she went above and beyond to make our trip unforgettable. Her recommendations for restaurants and places to visit were perfect, and she even helped us with reservations. Her kindness and professionalism made a big difference. Thank you, Olga!

Exceptional Service and Hospitality – 5/5 We stayed at Hotel Ohla Eixample Barcelona and booked a Junior Suite for our visit. Although we encountered a problem with the shower, the staff made every effort to fix it. When it couldn’t be resolved, the manager, David, stepped in with outstanding professionalism. He offered us a complimentary upgrade and arranged a smooth, fast transfer to the penthouse, which was handled efficiently and with care. What truly impressed us was their flexibility—despite arriving early in the morning, well before the standard 3 PM check-in time observed by most hotels worldwide, they welcomed us and made sure we were accommodated without delay. The hotel itself is in a fantastic location, with excellent service and a warm atmosphere. Even with the minor issue, our overall experience was wonderful, and we wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. Five stars from us!

We stayed here in October 2024 and still remember it fondly. The main hotel areas and breakfast were great, the rooms were nice and quiet, and above all, the staff and service were brilliant. The rooftop pool is also a nice touch and though unheated was even (just about) warm enough to use in October. We would definitely go back one day
Marc W — Google review
The staff, the cleanliness, the linens, the attention to detail… I felt like I was visiting a place where everyone knew me already. I can’t say enough positive things about this beautiful hotel and the lovely people who care for it and its guests. My partner and I were woken up a few nights from the street noise, which I think would’ve happened at most hotels in Barcelona. It’s just a busy city even at night (cars, trucks, people talking in the streets); which we’re not used to and couldn’t just sleep through, which is of no fault of the hotel.
Su S — Google review
We stayed here for one night and can’t say enough good things about Laura and the rest of the staff. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. The room was clean, comfortable, and exactly what we needed after two weeks of sightseeing.
Maya F — Google review
We’ve stayed in many 4 and 5-star hotels around the world, and in our opinion, Ohla Eixample is more accurately a 4-star property — not 5. The location is great and the staff were friendly overall, but several aspects of our stay didn’t meet the standard expected of a luxury hotel. The beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable, and the rooms were small and a bit cramped. We could also hear the guest above us stomping around at night, which disrupted our sleep — something we wouldn’t expect from a well-insulated 5-star room. Breakfast service was another letdown. One morning, we arrived about 30 minutes before closing and felt rushed by staff the entire time. They even forgot my made-to-order omelette, which was never brought out despite a reminder. On top of that, there was a persistent push from staff to promote the hotel’s restaurants and services. Rather than feeling welcoming, it came across as forced and transactional. There’s definitely potential here, but comfort, service consistency, and hospitality need to be improved for this to truly qualify as a 5-star experience.
Luis B — Google review
We picked this hotel based on their reviews and it did not disappoint. The service from check-in to check out was impeccable. You requested something and it was done. The king jr. suite in which we stayed was spacious and had every amenity. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Guests can enjoy an outdoor pool, a bar, and a beautiful shady garden on the property. The hotel's understated decor and attention to detail create a blissful urban retreat for visitors.
We have stayed at this charming boutique hotel two years in a row. The location is away from the hustle and bustle of downtown yet only a short cab ride away. The room are spacious and extremely comfortable, we chose the ones with a terrace. The swimming pool is small however the tranquil garden offers daybeds to relax in. The dining room is excellent! We’ll be back next year!

This hidden gem of a boutique hotel does not disappoint. The staff were professional and warm, both at the front desk and in the dining room. Do not miss out on the delicious and bountiful breakfast spread - there were so many options for every preference. Our room was spacious, sparkling clean, and we loved the king sized bed, the lovely terrace overlooking the garden and the separate spaces in our room to spread out and relax. Our favorite unexpected feature had to be the rain shower! Thank you for making such an amazing stay away from the tourist energy, in the quaint residential neighborhood that was still walkable and easy to access by public transport.

An absolutely amazing hotel, rooms were spacious and decorated thoughtfully, I especially enjoyed the balcony. The hotel restaurant offers great tapas, one of our best meals in Barcelona. It’s not close to the tourist attractions, but it is in a safe and quiet neighborhood. One thing I found funny was an old North American couple tried to steal the uber I called, watch out because if you let someone else steal it, you can end up waiting for a while.

This location is so beautiful, with very attentive staff. The suite with a terrace has plenty of room for everything (including a great closet), and the big French doors brought in a nice breeze (though there was construction and leaf-blowing and car traffic most days). We also really loved the library/living room space for taking a work call or two while on our vacation, and the garden was a beautiful space to spend a lazy afternoon with a book. Breakfasts were tasty, though the menu never changed during our week there. It was just a short walk to some quiet but tasty restaurants, and far enough from the crowds downtown to feel like we had our own version of Barcelona in the neighborhood. All in all, a wonderful experience. I would love to come back.

cozy, comfortable, stylish hotel in a tranquil setting of Barcelona. I stayed 3 nights here while recovering from a knee injury. Hotel Casa Sagnier, situated in Barcelona, offers air-conditioned rooms, a fitness center, free WiFi, and a terrace. The property includes a restaurant and bar as well as a sauna. Guests can enjoy room service, concierge service, and luggage storage. This relatively new hotel provides spacious and tastefully furnished suites with comfortable beds and great showers. Its excellent location offers easy access to the metro, restaurants, entertainment venues, and shopping options.
Reviewing a hotel isn’t always easy, as there are many things to consider. But when it comes to the key elements; service, cleanliness, and comfort. Casa Sagnier does a great job on all fronts. What stood out to me was the breakfast area. It’s set up as a small and straightforward buffet, but every item was fresh and full of flavor. In addition to the buffet, you can also order from an à la carte menu that includes freshly made dishes like all kinds of eggs, avocado toast, and a delicious ham and cheese sandwich and much more. The service during breakfast was exceptional, friendly, fast, and attentive. While I didn’t go into detail about the rest of the hotel’s amenities, the food alone is worth mentioning. I’d definitely recommend giving it a try.

Fantastic 5 star boutique hotel in a fantastic location. Staff were exceptionally friendly and professional. While the room was a tad smallish, bed was large and comfortable. Lots of storage space too. Bathroom with shower was nicely done and spacious. While there was street pedestrian traffic, it was not distracting and as heavy as other areas of Barcelona. Room was quiet too, and we were on the second floor facing the street. Balcony was tiny but great. Would I stay here again? For sure!

Had the most wonderful stay here for our final nights in Barcelona! The hotel's location is super convenient, being around the best restaurants and shopping areas all walking distance. Not to mention the area is stunning and is very clean/safe. Our room had the cutest terrace, where I was able to enjoy my morning coffee and wake up with the city. Just as the previous reviews (which was why I booked in the first place) mention, the hotel has the most friendly and attentive staff. Amongst all the staff, the one who stood out the most was Carlos. From recommending us places to visit when checking in, to checking up on us after we arrived in the room to make sure everything was okay, we really felt taken care of. I was a bit nervous on the trip as it was my first time in Europe with just myself and my mother, but I was able to forget all my anxieties when I was staying here. The hotel's rooftop was a serene escape amongst the busy city, and I appreciated the complimentary beverages and 24 hour open time. From the service, cleanliness, location, and charm, this hotel was worth every cent.

Our visit was very pleasant even prior to when we arrived because of the helpful staff at this hotel. They were able to answer questions and also provide additional information about travel and recommended activities. For example, we needed recommendations for our day trip to Girona and Adria was the star who gave us the top things to do and suggestions based on our preferences. When we returned to Barcelona, he was also informative about dinner recommendations and even given us insight to historical and cultural elements of Barcelona. Not only was the service good but the ambience was one of a kind. The clear eye for interior design and attention to detail made the stay even more pleasant. It was a very comfortable hotel stay that had me sleep throughout the night every single night during our stay.

Hotel Ohla Barcelona is a stylish and luxurious accommodation located on the bustling Via Laietana, at the border of Barri Gotic and Born areas. The hotel features 74 luxury rooms and suites with city views, offering understated luxury to both holidaymakers and young professionals. The design of the hotel is chic and hip, with elegant touches such as oak floors and velvet bed throws in the monochrome rooms.
From the moment we arrived, Ohla Barcelona exceeded every expectation (yet again, as this was our second stay in 2 years). Traveling as a family with two young children, we weren’t sure how a chic boutique hotel would accommodate our needs — but Ohla managed to seamlessly blend luxury with warmth, making it the perfect home base for our Barcelona adventure. We truly felt at home and part of the family all over again, this time with our kids being part of the experience. The staff was beyond welcoming — attentive, thoughtful, and genuinely kind to our daughters. They remembered our names from our first adults-only visit, offered thoughtful touches daily, and made us feel like honored guests rather than just travelers passing through. Our rooms were spacious, modern, and impeccably clean, with just the right mix of comfort and sophistication. We especially loved the rooftop terrace and pool — a serene escape with sweeping views of the city where our kids could unwind while we enjoyed a drink in the sun. The location? Unbeatable. Steps from El Born, the Gothic Quarter, and some of the best food and sights in the city. Everything was walkable, yet the hotel felt like a peaceful retreat from the energy of the streets. As seasoned travelers, we’ve stayed in hotels around the world (including several very high-end hotels in different countries), but Ohla Barcelona stands out as one of our absolute favorites. If you're traveling adults-only or with kids and want an elevated, memorable, and welcoming experience, this is the place. Thank you, Ohla, for helping create memories our family will cherish forever. We can’t wait to return. — The Moises Family

We love the location. You can walk to almost everything. Easy to shopping, museums, marina, great restaurants, all the churches you would want to visit... the rooftop bar / pool was a nice break after touring and before getting ready for an evening out. The breakfast restaurant is staffed with helpful and attentive servers. The front desk and concierge team were unbeatable. We believe Hotel Ohla Barcelona is the perfect place to base your stay. Enjoy

Absolutely loved this boutique hotel! Perfectly situated for walking, taxis, busses and the trains. Service was beyond anything I have experienced! Everyone was helpful, kind and there to make sure you had a wonderful stay. Rooms were clean, roomy and comfortable. We had one of the smaller standard rooms and loved it. The breakfast was full of choices for every palette. The rooftop bar and pool had amazing views and courteous staff.

Lower cost Rooms are very average. Common areas are very nice and rooftop bar has a good vibe. Sadly rooms let this place down; quality of decor, finish, sound-proofing and so on makes them just not the same level of luxury as the rest of the building, nor the price tag.

I have never experienced such terrible service in my life. No manners, no tact, no etiquette. Every 20 seconds, the waiter comes over to ask if you have chosen yet. How can you choose anything if you don't even have time to read the menu? I ordered water so that they would leave us alone for a moment. But unfortunately, after another 20 seconds, the waiter came over to ask what we wanted to order. I asked if he could give us a few minutes to read the menu - the waiter said no and that we had to order something, otherwise my friends would have to leave. I can finish my water and also leave. - This is ridiculous. The waiter started to throw my three friends out, so I quickly finished the water in my glass and took the bottle in my hand. I went to the cashier to pay. I was informed that I could not leave with the bottle. I asked why, and I was told that it was their bottle. I said that I had paid for a bottle of water, and the waiter looked at me insolently, took the bottle from me and, tapping it, said, ‘You paid for what's inside, not for the bottle.’ For me, this is a sign of a complete lack of culture.

I can’t fault this hotel, they go to great lengths to make sure you have a great stay, it was my wife’s 60th birthday when we visited we didn’t mention that to the hotel so I assume they picked it up from the passport or booking details, anyway they delivered a complimentary bottle of caver to our room as a birthday gift. Room service was excellent throughout the whole of our stay and the staff in the bars and restaurants were very attentive and friendly. There is plenty to do in the area and even a beach not far from the hotel. As with all big cities you need to watch out for pickpockets but the hotel and other businesses in the area remind you of this. I highly recommend a stay here if you are visiting Barcelona.

View from our window was cool graffiti art. They had a funky lobby with an eclectic mix of artwork. The rooftop pool was a nice aesthetic but no one swam in it. The food on the rooftop was overpriced but good.

Everything about this hotel was wonderful - service, cleanliness of the room, and the location. I have stayed at many 5 star hotels that didn’t live up to my expectations, but Hotel Ohla exceeded my expectations in every aspect. You can pretty much walk everywhere from the hotel including major shops, restaurants, and many of the tourist attractions.

The underground spa features an industrial and modern design with concrete walls, minimalistic day beds, a grey-tiled steam room, and a classic Finnish dry sauna. The hotel offers various treatments inspired by Far Eastern traditions such as reflexology, acupuncture, and reiki. The atrium-style lobby boasts sumptuous blue sofas while the ground-floor courtyard features a lush garden with the Jardin del Alma restaurant.
Stylish luxurious boutique hotel at the year of Barcelona, walking distance to most sightseeing spots. Rooms cozy and elegant. Internal garden for breakfast or drinks a nice surprise. Spa area ok and serviced breakfast delicious. A nice getaway!

Nice location, lovely rooms with plenty of space and a good view to the internal garden. We were a group and were given 4 adjacent rooms which was nice. Breakfast was good, the bar was intimate yet roomy and all the staff were welcoming and helpful. We'll be back.

500 euros per night, but motel service. Firstly, cleaning service do not renew products, or fold any clothes. Secondly, hotel crew kept us waiting for an extra comforter for more than 30 minutes, until after 1 am. This is my third day staying at this hotel, and I am feeling so uncomfortable about the lack of service here that I must stay up at midnight and write this review. Imagine my disappointment after a long day, going back to a hotel that advertises itself as “luxury and five star”, only to find out the cleaning crew did not leave any new toothbrushes and toothpaste in the bathroom, and our pajamas that were left in the bed, now a wrinkled mess on a chair? As I recall, even four star hotels and cruises would fold any clothes that are left in the visible part of the room. This is the first time that my pajamas got wrapped like a mess by hotel. And the day before, my husband requested an extra comforter because we were cold. They took hotel more than 30 minutes, and left us waiting until after 1am, then finally brought us one. Absolutely unacceptable.

Excellent service and location! Very modern with beautiful lighting. You would not know it’s right next to Passeig de Gràcia because it is so peaceful with soundproofing in the rooms. Looking forward to my next stay here!

I absolutely love staying at Alma Hotel in Barcelona! This was my second time here, and I’m already counting down the days until my third visit. The location is perfect — right in the heart of the city, making it incredibly convenient to explore all the sights, shops, and vibrant streets of Barcelona. The breakfast here is beyond amazing. I always look forward to the French omelet and the freshly baked sourdough — truly the perfect way to start the day. Every detail is thoughtfully prepared, and the quality is consistently outstanding. Our room was spacious, impeccably clean, and wonderfully comfortable. It felt like a relaxing retreat after a full day of exploring the city. The attention to detail and care throughout the hotel makes every stay feel special. Alma Hotel has truly become my favorite spot in Barcelona — I can’t recommend it highly enough. From the central location to the incredible breakfast and comfortable rooms, it’s absolutely perfect. I can’t wait for my next stay!

Perfect weekend at Alma Hotel in Barcelona with my wife. Excellent service from check-in to departure – staff attentive and efficient. Room was spacious, modern, clean, with a comfy bed and great rain shower. Spa was perfect, relaxing and top-notch. Prime Eixample location: close to Gaudí sites and dining, yet peaceful. Overall a great hotel – highly recommend.

This was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I've ever had. The staff in F&B were extremely unprofessional, and the individual at reception claiming to be the manager was particularly disrespectful. The staff showed visible disdain at our requests, pursued us with bills and repeated requests to confirm our room numbers , double-charged us, and the manager publicly accused me of not wanting to pay my fees in front of other guests. One morning I had invited some friends the manager runs after me saying we ordered one omelet too many and he needs to charge for it.. which I didn’t mind but the manner and attitude was appalling. mind u this is a 500 euro a night hotel and breakfast is 55 euros. No one is running away over a 15euro omelette. On some mornings minutes after receiving our coffees at breakfast we are told the table needs to be cleared we need to leave immediately. I had recommended this hotel to our group, which booked at least 10-15 rooms, but everyone regretted the decision. For the level of service we felt overcharged and poorly treated. No apologies, no trying to rectify after staying at the hotel for a full week. Quite shocking that hotels like this remaining in business even while charging an arm and leg. I've never written a review before, but I felt compelled to share this experience.

Have been two years in a row. Such a beautiful property and the food and staff are excellent. I took a “garden view” room (bit extra price wise) but gave me a lovely Juliet balcony and door onto their garden. So glad I did. They have a large leather chair and stool in the room to read and nap on in the sunshine. The restaurant is excellent and they take food seriously. I tried the tasting menu one night with wine pairing with multiple fish dishes and a mouthwatering tomato soup - the Spanish do know how to cook with tomatoes- it was delicious. Breakfast is quite a feast (mine was included in the price) - very large selection of fresh fruit, cheese, pastries and a menu for cooked food which is light and fresh - eggs cooked to perfection. Def planning to visit next year. Also went to Madrid by train which is super easy and high speed (300km /186 miles per hour - takes 2 hours 45) with great seats and trolley snacks on board. I was on the fourth floor of the hotel but I realised if you go higher you would get a better view of the famous pedrera rooftop - I could see just a couple of the art pieces. Rooms large and spacious. Great design. Very quiet and peaceful in the city just off the Main Street Passeig de Garcia so you can walk everywhere- great shopping, restaurants, beach and spa’s nearby.

The modern rooms feature 55' Smart TVs, DVD players, and luxurious bathrooms with rain showers. Guests can enjoy the rooftop pool with stunning views of the city. The hotel's impeccable service from reception to housekeeping has been praised by many visitors. With well-equipped rooms and excellent amenities including two pool areas, this hotel provides a memorable stay in Barcelona.
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel. The food was incredible, every meal was delicious and beautifully presented. The cocktails were honestly the best we’ve ever had, and we looked forward to them each evening. What really set this place apart, though, was the impeccable service. The staff went above and beyond, paying close attention to detail and even remembering my preferences from one day to the next, which made me feel truly valued and cared for. A perfect blend of comfort, luxury, and warm hospitality, I can’t recommend this hotel enough! This is the place to be when visiting Barcelona

We spent a few wonderful days at Sofitel Barcelona Skipper to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary, and it was simply perfect. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome and cared for. Every detail — from the warm smiles at reception to the elegant room with a beautiful view — reflected the true spirit of hospitality. The location couldn’t be better, just steps from the beach and within easy reach of the city’s main attractions. We especially loved the rooftop pool and the relaxed, luxurious atmosphere throughout the hotel. A heartfelt thank you to the entire Sofitel team for making our special occasion truly memorable. We left with beautiful memories and can’t wait to return one day.

I booked this hotel whilst my young family visited me as I travelled for work in Barcelona. It was absolutely perfect. Location - right on the beach but also not far from the bustle of the city. Walking distance to both. The room was modern, fresh, large, comfortable and well laid out. Room service fast and easy. Breakfast was relaxed and high quality. Rooftop pool was warm(late October) and with great sea views. We never ate in the restaurant but it looked nice. Bar was lovely, good selection and fast service. We will definitely be back and would confidently book Sofitel hotels in other locations when we travel in the future. Special mention for Gabriel who was often seen around the reception area. He was full of energy and welcomed my daughter with a high five every-time he saw her, a nice touch.

My stay at **Sofitel Barcelona Skipper** was excellent from start to finish. The young woman at the front desk OLGA was more than helpful—one of the highlights of my visit—insightful, welcoming, and a true guide to the city. The hotel was spotless, with housekeeping always on top of things, and I felt very safe in the surrounding area. The beach is less than a five-minute walk away, and I loved taking late-night strolls along the shore. Parking is available but limited, and while breakfast was just okay, the area was clean and the staff friendly and attentive with a good variety offered. The room was stylish and well-designed, and the bathroom was especially beautiful—overall a wonderful, comfortable stay.

From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. All the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. We were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade to a garden and partial sea view room, which was a lovely touch. The room itself was beautiful, elegant, spotless, and very comfortable. The facilities throughout the property were excellent, especially the pools, which were clean and relaxing. The rooftop offered stunning views and was a great spot to unwind. Overall, a very pleasant and memorable stay. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing and well managed place to stay!

Beautiful hotel! Really well designed with exquisite interior spaces, nice rooms (though a bit small) and a great restaurant/bar on site. The onsite breakfast is well run and had a great selection. The mild negative is the location. It is near the beach, but really the action is in the gothic quarter which is a 20-30 min walk away. So that might influence our choice the next time. Otherwise cannot comparing about the service or amenities in this hotel. Highly recommended.
Kevin J — Google review
There were several issues in this stay. - Several conferences were held causing difficulties accessing amenities. On one day the restaurant and bar was unavailable due to a function. On another day, the same issue occurred, the staff directed us to another area promising service, and then ignored us until we left. - The level we were staying on smelled of sewerage on our final day. The staff were aware of this but had no idea why. - Transiting through the hotel was difficult due to large groups of conference attendees. They prevented us from using the lifts with luggage due to them being too crowded. At one point we waited 15 minutes to get to the lobby. - The rooftop bar states its hours are until 8, however stops serving drinks at 7. The staff indicated this is expected despite the signage. - Small issues, like our access cards being disabled on our final day despite a promised late checkout, easily resolved but annoying. - The porter, valet, bar staff were all quite good. - The room itself is visually lovely, although suites next to the lift is not ideal due to noise. There are aspects of this stay that were pleasant, and individual staff members were great. Overall though, this is not a 5 star holiday destination aside from the aesthetics.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Barcelona, Hotel Bagués is a luxurious retreat that beautifully marries history with modern elegance. Once an 1850s jewelry workshop, this chic hotel boasts ornate interiors and upscale dining options. Guests can unwind on the rooftop terrace, complete with a small plunge pool and stunning views. The rooms are tastefully designed, featuring masculine leather accents and unique glass roofs that add to their charm despite being compact—typical of many luxury accommodations in the city.
Hotel Bagués is the perfect accommodation in the perfect location to experience The Gothic Quarter and El Born. I wouldn't come here with a vehicle as the parking is basically non-existent. Our room was very nice, with a very comfortable bed and wonderful bathroom set-up. The breakfasts were delicious and very filling. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable and very pleasant. The terrace has a wonderful dip pool and the views are amazing. Request a corner, outside room for amazing views.

I had a pleasant stay overall. The room was clean and well-maintained, and the reception staff were very friendly and welcoming. However, the service at breakfast could use some improvement. The waiters were generally kind and professional, but there was one waitress — a woman with glasses — who seemed a bit impatient and uninterested in her job. She appeared eager to wrap up breakfast service as quickly as possible, which made the experience feel rushed. It's a shame, as the rest of the team was doing a great job.

Everyone at this hotel was kind and helpful, the location is excellent and the facilities are very good. We arrived late at night , nearly 10 p.m., and were treated like old friends. They took care of our luggage, found us an excellent restaurant for dinner and were otherwise fun and solicitous. Breakfast was very nice. The room was quiet (even with a lot of street noise outside), clean and comfortable. This one is a winner.

Although this hotel is on one of the busiest streets in Barcelona, we had a wonderful time. We stayed here after getting off of a cruise. The hotel was able to safely store our luggage until it was time for check-in, leaving us time to explore the city. Guest services provided us with the map and gave insight to all of the fabulous places we could visit. Once checked in, the room was clean, spacious , and completely soundproof. We could not hear the hustle and bustle of La Ramblas. The rooftop pool was small compared to other hotels we’ve stayed in Barcelona. The location is perfect if you’re interested in exploring the culture of the city.

Very happy with this hotel. The location was fantastic. The hotel is beautiful inside with a marble spiral staircase and a central light well. Our room was good with a little balcony overlooking the main street. A highlight is the rooftop pool and bar, just lovely.

Lourdes and Silvio and Melanie made my stay very pleasant and hospitable to make my stay during the Sant Juan fireworks festival, and watching the fireworks from the rooftop bar with drinks was an experience to remember. The room was clean and included gratis drinks in the fridge which made the Barcelona heat bearable. The air conditioning was ice cold and the bathroom was in great condition with comfortable amenities. 5/5 would stay again.
Eric C — Google review
We had an extremely disappointing experience at this hotel. It is not family-friendly, despite being part of the Hilton network—which was the only reason we booked it. We were a family of five, including our 10-year-old son. The booking clearly said children 6 years could stay with parents, so I called Hilton and confirmed this by phone because the age was a little more . But when we arrived, the hotel forced us to purchase a third room for our son. We had already paid for two rooms, yet they made us wait in the small lobby for two hours with tired, hungry kids until we sorted out the extra payment. To “make up” for it, they promised free breakfast for the kids—only to charge us nearly $200 at checkout. That delay made us miss our train and cost us even more money and hassle. Staff were also rude and dismissive, repeatedly saying things like “you Americans don’t understand,” which we found unacceptable. We were also told that water and drinks were complimentary, but every time we asked, they added charges. During our stay, the hotel was almost empty, and prices kept dropping online. It felt like they were trying to squeeze as much money as possible from the few guests staying there. Dishonest, frustrating, and completely unworthy of the Hilton name. Would not recommend.

Soho House Barcelona is a stylish hotel that offers a luxurious experience with its spa, two trendy restaurants, rooftop pool, cocktail bar, and gym. It feels like a hedonistic country house with plush amenities including an underground cinema and speakeasy.
Exceptional hospitality. They've thought of every amenity and service. Paola at the front desk was incredibly helpful, detail oriented, patient and thoughtful - an amazing employee. The staff at the rooftop bar were also a delight. This was the perfect place to stay in Barcelona.

Stayed for one night and absolutely loved it. The room was cozy and beautifully designed — very “old English” charm with vintage touches like the light switches. The bed was super comfortable with so many fluffy cushions and pillows. Heated towel rack (huge bonus!) and the shower was stocked with the full range of Cowshed products you can also buy in their spa. Our room even had a small balcony facing a narrow old-town street with a church at the end — very atmospheric Barcelona. The rest of the property is equally impressive: multiple restaurants and lounges, a gorgeous rooftop pool and bar overlooking the city, a great gym, spa, and even a movie theater. You really feel like you could enjoy a whole weekend here without ever leaving. A wonderful stay — can’t wait to come back.
Nora N — Google review
The place is amazing – great food, beautiful design, and very welcoming staff. The pool area gets quite busy in the afternoon, so it’s almost impossible to get a spot on a sunbed, even with the app. I tried several times to book a spot, but had no luck. That said, the overall stay was fabulous – full of beautiful people and a wonderfully relaxed vibe. Thank you, and see you soon!
Jedrzej K — Google review
The food at Soho House Barcelona is amazing, and the venue itself is absolutely stunning. However, the service is outrageous. We had two really bad experiences. The first time, a lady in the restaurant spoke to us very rudely. I decided to give the place another chance and not let one bad experience affect my opinion. Unfortunately, when we went back, a waiter on the rooftop was extremely rude to us as well. At that point, we decided to leave. Honestly, I’m not sure if we were treated this way because we are foreign or for some other reason, but it’s unacceptable to welcome people like this. It was truly disappointing, and because of this, I wouldn’t go back to this specific Soho House and wouldn’t recommend it to others
Halima A — Google review
This opinion just applies to the restaurant/buffet service: good variety of foods, quality very mediocre (if you like cold/dry meat then you’ll love it), service close to rude and unacceptable. Ambience pretentious and dark (I mistrust restaurants with dark bathrooms). There are many better options in Barcelona.
Jorge S — Google review
Rooms are nice. Staff is friendly. But it’s noisy. And not from outside. From inside the hotel. Noises waking you up in the middle of the night. And the restaurant is so disappointing. Very very disappointing. Had dinner there and also breakfast. Both a waste of time and money. At dinner the music was so loud we had to shout to have conversation. The lighting was the strangest part of our experience. Had to use phone light to read the menu in the restaurant. The bathroom in the room had so little lighting it would be impossible to put in contact lenses. And as usual with the Soho Houses, the restaurant staff is so inefficient and slow.
Heine C — Google review
I recently became a member of Soho House in New York and during a trip to Barcelona, I was searching for a hotel close to the marina and the Gothic Quarter. To my surprise, I found out that Soho House had a hotel there. I decided to give it a try, and it turned out to be one of the most wonderful hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The location could not have been better—right on the waterfront, with easy access to all the areas I wanted to explore. The facilities were fantastic: the pool area was cozy and relaxing, the gym was on par with Equinox, and the staff was consistently friendly, professional, and attentive. But the highlight for me was the room itself. I have stayed in many five-star hotels around the world—in Asia, Europe, South America, and the U.S.—and I can confidently say these rooms were among the best equipped. The attention to detail was exceptional. Something as simple as having toothpaste provided in the bathroom made such a difference, especially since I travel often and always seem to run out of the small tubes I carry with me. Even better, I didn’t need to go downstairs to ask for one—it was already there waiting. Another thoughtful touch was the charging setup. Many times when traveling, people forget their charger or an outlet converter. Here, I found USB cables, multiple adapters, and power chargers right on the nightstand. That level of foresight shows true care for the guest’s comfort. The coffee area was equally impressive, with both an espresso machine and a kettle. It’s such a small detail, but for frequent travelers like me, it saves the hassle of requesting one. Everything felt designed with the traveler in mind, making me feel not just accommodated, but truly taken care of. All in all, I was genuinely impressed. The combination of excellent service, thoughtful amenities, and unmatched attention to detail made this stay unforgettable. From now on, every time I travel, the very first thing I’ll do is check if there’s a Soho House Hotel at my destination—because if there is, that’s where I’ll be staying.

Villa Emilia is a modern hotel located in the Eixample district of Barcelona. Despite its slightly less central location, it offers great value for money with stylish and muted rooms decorated in shades of chocolate and teak. The hotel features a refined restaurant, chic terrace lounge, and trendy rooftop bar. It's conveniently situated near Rocafort Metro Station, providing easy access to the city center and attractions like Parc de l'Escorxador and the gardens of Montjuic Hill.
Lovely location with plenty of places to eat or pick up a few groceries nearby. It's not a super 'touristy' area, so it was a comfortable, peaceful place to wake up in and return to each night. There's a metro stop right around the corner, which was very useful. The room was very clean and beautifully decorated, the staff was helpful, and I would happily recommend this hotel to my friends.

Room was chill and modern which was exactly the same as we saw from the website. Amazing street view, small hotel with sufficient space. It’d be perfect if there’s air conditioning in the hotel lobby and fitness centre. Price was reasonable and good for couples.

Hotel Villa Emilia is a stylish and peaceful boutique hotel located just a short walk—about 15 to 20 minutes—from the heart of Barcelona’s historic center. It’s in a charming, walkable neighborhood with a mix of local cafés, bakeries, and restaurants (some hidden gems, some more average), giving you a real taste of the city beyond the tourist spots. The hotel itself is very clean, quiet, and well-kept, with comfortable rooms and thoughtful touches throughout. What really makes it stand out is the rooftop terrace—a cozy, relaxed space where you can enjoy drinks, light bites, and even live music on some evenings. It’s a perfect spot to unwind after a day of sightseeing. Staff are friendly and professional, striking the right balance between helpful and unobtrusive. If you’re looking for a calm and modern place to stay that’s still close to the action, Villa Emilia is a solid choice.

We couldn’t be happier with our stay here. Dog friendly for a €15 fee which we found very competitive. Nice large beds. Very friendly staff. A variety of discounted parking nearby. A fair price for a 4 star. We would have loved dressing gowns, but that is minor! We’d stay again in a heartbeat - thank you!

Villa Emilia was a perfect home for us during our trip to Barcelona in March. We were very pleased with the cleanliness of the hotel and rooms, its great location, and the delightful breakfast. I stayed at the Hotel Villa Emilia for a weekend getaway, and it was a truly excellent experience. The location is very good, in the Eixample neighborhood, quiet but only a few steps from the metro and Passeig de Gràcia avenue, which made getting around Barcelona very easy.

I stayed in room 507 for 2 nights. The room was spacious enough for 2 people and very clean. Can't say I was amazed by the hotel but compared with my other experience with hotels in Barcelona, this one is great. Minor issues I had: • Bathtub was leaking a bit, seems to be fixable with some touch of sealant • I heard some noise from the corridor but it didn't bother my sleep anyhow. Windows were located on a street side and there was no bothering noise on that side as well. But good to consider for light sleepers The hotel is 2 mins away from subway station so it's easy to get anywhere in the city. I found a couple of nice places to eat around so this is not a problem as well. In general, I liked the area and would recommend the hotel, especially if you get lucky with the discount

Well appointed, clean and modern rooms. Good water pressure. Restaurant downstairs is cute. Rooftop bar is a nice touch tho closed when we visited. Hot water carafe available upon request. Cons: all plugs are by the floor (none on night stand). No gym or pool. Tho many local gyms within walking distance and all have reasonable daily rates. I'd definitely stay here again!

H10 Cubik is a trendy lodging located just a few minutes away from the Gothic Quarter, El Raval, and La Rambla. The hotel was redesigned by Spain's renowned interior designer Lazaro Rosa-Violan, featuring modern rooms with contemporary furnishings and amenities such as minibars and Nespresso machines. The rooftop pool and cocktail terrace offer stunning views of the city's landmarks while serving high-end tapas and Spanish wines.
This is an extremely nice hotel, in a great location. You can walk to Casa Batllo, La Sagrada Familia, Las Ramblas, and many other attractions. The rooms are spacious and there is a great rooftop restaurant! We were made to feel welcome with a delicious bottle of Cava delivered to our room. Marcela, at the front desk, was so accommodating and friendly. She made us feel welcome and was very helpful with suggestions and arrangements.

Stayed here while in Barcelona and I must say this place was very clean and modern. If you’re looking for somewhere to stay that’s smack in the middle of everything then staying here would be ideal. The rooms are very spacious and ac booming. The rooftop was a vibe. The pool very small but the bar made very good drinks. Very beautiful view of the city. Definitely would recommend staying here.

We had a junior suite, so there was plenty of room for the 3 of us. Large shower, king sized bed, mini fridge. Very quiet. Room temperature is semi-controlled by the hotel, but we're comfortable for the most part. Food is OK. Front desk staff very helpful. Breakfast wait staff just so-so. Rooftop wait staff was good. Love the rooftop terrace. Basically a wading pool though.

The hotel sits in the middle of the city with full access to main attractions, transportation and restaurants. Rooms are high quality with an incredible attention to details (for example the bathroom products are a fine selection from Ritual.. a great plus)! The most amazing feature of the hotel is the friendly and caring staff! I was there for 5 days to lead a course: they took care of everything from the training room, restaurant bookings and special unexpected gift for my birthday! 6/5 .. the staff deserves more stars! Thank you, Cubik

I recently stayed at this hotel with my family for 4 nights during a short trip to Barcelona. The property is new and beautifully designed, with plenty of comfortable spaces to relax, from cozy sofas and bookshelves on the ground floor to a fantastic rooftop area with a restaurant, bar, and a pool that offers stunning views of the Gothic Quarter. The staff were professional, efficient, and always eager to help with any requests we had. We asked for a room with a balcony on one of the higher floors for a better city view. Although those rooms were fully booked at first, the team managed to arrange one for us for the last two nights, which we greatly appreciated. A heartfelt thank you to the entire staff—Anas, Josep, Marcela, Hubert, and everyone else who made our stay so enjoyable. We truly appreciated your warm hospitality and attention to detail!

Every staff member was friendly and helpful. Nice rooms, great location. Great yummy breakfasts and the rooftop is awesome. Heads up - it's not a pool, it's 50cm deep so more like a wading pool.
Marc B — Google review
We had a delightful 3 night stay before our cruise out of Barcelona from September 11 to September 14. The rooms were clean, comfortable and decent storage. The front office staff was always friendly and helpful! Diego, Marcella, Eric and Annalise? Not sure of her name. They were always helpful with where to go for dinner, shopping, flamenco dancing or any other questions we had! I felt like family.
Winnie S — Google review
We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a corner suite with the biggest balcony and best view of the Gothic Quarter. The rooms are quite lovely but prices in Barcelona are astronomical compared to most cities I have visited. So, compared to other hotels I've paid much less per night to stay in, it was not particularly impressive. We stayed for 6 nights and got a little bored of the breakfast selection, especially the limited vegan and vegetarian options. And, yeah, the pool is ridiculously small but I still appreciated a place to cool off after walking around for hours in the heat. All of the spaces were nicely designed and the staff were all helpful - some were exceptionally friendly and really went out of their way to chat to us and give us local tips. Finally, the location is unbeatable. Overall, I think it was worth the splurge.

Room Mate Anna Hotel is an upscale boutique hotel in Eixample, Barcelona. Decorated by Spanish interior designer Lorenzo Castillo, the 81 rooms boast colorful and stylish interiors. The hotel's personalized services create a welcoming atmosphere for guests, with amenities such as 24-hour front desk assistance and concierge service.
Lovely comfy hotel. Very nice breakfast with lots to choose from. Staff are very helpful. Big beds are very comfy. I was unable to use the upstairs bar due to late arrival. Shower is lovely and hot and spacious. I stayed here twice and would definitely stay again.
Sarah V — Google review
The hotel offers great service, with friendly staff and thoughtful touches like snacks at the reception. While there was a bit of an annoying smell in the corridors, it was passable and didn’t detract much from the stay. Unfortunately, the pool was under renovation during our visit, but the rooftop bar made up for it with its cool ambiance. Overall, it’s a very good place to stay and worth considering for your trip.

Amazing stay! The hotel is very clean, beautifully designed, and extremely comfortable. The staff are friendly, professional, and always ready to help. The location is excellent and very convenient. I would definitely come back again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort and quality.
Abdulrahman T — Google review
The hotel is in an excellent location, less than a 3 minutes walk from all the shops and attractions are. It’s super convenient, and there’s even a Starbucks just a step from the hotel entrance. The service was amazing, available 24/7. I’ve never seen such friendly and helpful reception staff. Our room was for two, with separate beds. The room was relatively small but perfectly fine. There wasn’t much noise at night, the beds were comfortable, and the room had a TV and a fridge. Breakfast was fantastic, with everything you could need, coffee machine, cheeses, sweets, breads, eggs, and cold drinks. The hotel also has a rooftop pool. It’s very small, more like a relaxing spot or jacuzzi than a swimming pool, but still nice to sit and unwind. Overall, the location, breakfast, and exceptional service really stood out. The room itself was simple but comfortable, and the hotel made for a very enjoyable stay.

We stayed for 5 nights in November. Don't look for an alternative for breakfast, it's very, very good. Excellent location and great service! I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location couldn't be better – it's right in the heart of the city, close to all the main attractions, shops, and restaurants. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with anything I needed. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Overall, it was a perfect experience, and I would definitely stay here again!

Great place to stay. Fantastic location. Very neat and well appointed rooms. Staff friendly and helpful. Good buffet breakfast options. Not a huge range, but fresh and good quality
Lee M — Google review
I’m torn in my review of Room Mate Anna. Any negatives were largely out of their control: I found the road noise distracting (cars, drunks howling, underground train), we also had the misfortune of some rather excitable people shouting to each other in our corridor at 4am (god bless our cousins from across the pond), plus some random noises from the AC. To the staff’s credit they moved us to another room and with some ear plugs the road noise was largely sorted. The staff were friendly and the rooms themselves good (big bed, powerful shower). Overall then a perfectly decent hotel but just be aware of potential noise if you’re a light sleeper.
Richard W — Google review
A wonderful hotel with beautiful design. I booked a room with windows facing the courtyard well. The sleep was fantastic, and nothing disturbed me. At check-in, they asked for a card, but I refused. There is an option to leave a cash deposit instead.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Barcelona, the Vincci Gala is an upscale hotel that beautifully marries history with modern luxury. Set within a stunning 19th-century palace, this four-star gem retains its original architectural charm while offering contemporary decor and amenities. Guests can unwind on the outdoor terrace or enjoy a refreshing dip in the small pool, all while soaking up breathtaking views of iconic landmarks like Sagrada Familia and Torre Glories from the stylish lounge bar.
Stayed here a couple of weeks ago and had an amazing stay! This was the first 4⭐ hotel that actually matched the stars. Beds were very comfortable, breakfast was incredible and the room was big, clean and quiet. The location was also perfect for our short layover. About a 5-7 min walk to the Aerobus and shopping! 👏🏼
Kate K — Google review
Great location and reasonably comfortable beds but there are a number of downsides. The hotel is very loud, I could hear people in the hallways and on the floor above mine very clearly. The rooms are rather worn out with a lot of visible damage on the floors and even on closet doors. The people responsible for checkout treated me like a criminal as I was leaving because I’m accustomed to simply leaving rather than checking out in person. They had my credit card on file and made a misunderstanding about their (in my decades of travel, globally unique) process into a very negative interaction.
Merci G — Google review
staff on the Reception was polite & friendly with nice Catalan-twist ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We got 1st froor room with a terrace / back yard of our own. Thank you! Roof terrace views were outstanding! Pool is small and shallow and water is hot. Shower is miserable. Drinks expensive.

Loved this Hotel. Staff were great on arrival. Very friendly. Location of hotel is amazing. Very central. Easy access to the Metro and other attractions. Central to local restaurants. Rooms were kept very clean daily. Even though we only stayed for four days. Roof top bar and pool are great too. Breakfast was fantastic. Cooked fresh for you to order. Along with cereals. Fruits and other desserts laid out to help yourself. The morning staff were fantastic. So polite and very helpful. Would highly recommend this hotel. Evening restaurant wasn’t that great. Bit of an acquired taste maybe. The cheesecake wasn’t a cheesecake. It was foam with some slices of cheese laid on it. Chips came covered in foam. Probably just a local thing. Plenty of local restaurants though. But all in all a fantastic hotel.
John M — Google review
This hotel was perfect! The only small complaint I had was the tv having hardly any channels, but watching tv isn’t my motive in Barcelona, so it doesn’t really matter. Bed was super comfy, had a hot shower, blackout curtains, wonderful decor. Staff were very friendly, and the restaurant and terrace are beautiful. Location is great. Highly recommend.
Isabella ( — Google review
This hotel is nowhere near 4 star standard and was one of the most disappointing stays I’ve had. The staff seemed disinterested and at times almost rude, with little effort made to engage with guests during check-in or check-out. The room itself was outdated, with holes in the bed linen. When I requested an iron, I was given a dirty one with residue on the plate that damaged my clothes. Emails I had sent in advance regarding our anniversary trip were ignored, and the occasion was not acknowledged in any way. Basic information such as breakfast times was never communicated, and no assistance was offered in the lobby for example, with arranging taxis. On departure, there was not even the courtesy of asking how our stay had been, and we noticed we weren’t the only ones as the guests checking out ahead of us were also handled in complete silence. Very unusual and unprofessional. Overall, this property lacks the most fundamental elements of hospitality. It is miles away from being a boutique or 4 star hotel, and I would strongly warn others against booking here.

I like the great location of the hotel and good rooftop before the sunset .. But there’s some notes about the hotel 1- I was in the first floor and I can heard everything on the street also the subway underground I can hear the noise there’s no isolation. And The elevator is so slow 2- I fund small spider on the bathroom and it wasn’t very clean .

Hotel Praktik Rambla is a polished and chic hotel located in the heart of Barcelona, housed in a historic townhouse with modern accents and Gothic features. The minimalist designed rooms are equipped with air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, and private bathrooms adorned with striking green tiles. Guests can enjoy the comfortable terrace with sofas for relaxation. The hotel's central location near Placa Catalunya makes it an ideal choice for travelers looking to explore the city.
We stayed during our first visit to Barcelona. It’s 100+ years old building and yet it is bery well maintained. The bed is very comfortable and the bathroom is modern. The terrace is a nice addition to relax at the end of a busy day. Coffee and tea are provided all day. The morning croissant is great help when you have to rush out for your excursion. Location is excellent, close to metro, shopping and great restaurants. It is a classic hotel. We would definitely return.
Jeanne W — Google review
Room was clean. Gregory at front desk kind & helpful, as was his (female) associate. Room very clean. Kind of a weird black stripe painted on the room walls & ceiling but that's personal preference. Location was outstanding. I did find other hotels that offered more amenities at the same price in the neighborhood after we arrived, but prices can fluctuate based on ability, I know. Disappointed the at the coffee machine was broken our first morning. 🥹 Other days it was running fine, and warm (plain & chocolate) croissants delicious. Nice, serene courtyard in back to sip coffee. Would have no hesitation staying there again. Even though it took was on the street, double doors eliminated all noise.

Wonderful place to stay in Barcelona. Location is superb, close to lots of excellent restaurants, things to see, and the metro. Our room was rather small but had everything we needed. Very quiet. Bed and linens top notch, as was shower. Staff very accommodating. Delicious croissants in morning.
Lisa R — Google review
This hotel is at best a hostel. Whilst the location is great and we had a room at the front with a small balcony which we enjoyed, the service and quality of the room were disappointing. The room was a bit grubby, there was no bar fridge and servicing of the room was a change of towels/bed making only. We were not supplied with clean glasses and were expected to wash them ourselves each day. I would nit recommend this hotel.
Belinda T — Google review
Great location, super friendly and helpful staff, safe and convenient. Gregory was super professional and had such great warmth. He helped us with buying our Barcelona Card, and a booking at El Nacional for a dinner we hosted with friends. Sandra helped us to get a private car to Tarragona and was very careful to ensure our safety by taking down the car driver details. Both Gregory and Sandra were amazing staff that made the stay so pleasant and convenient and they gave us great tips on where to go. The Ciutat Comtal just a few steps away from the hotel is an amazing tapas place. Always full and opened from 8am-1am so you never have to be hungry ! Passeig de Gracia metro is round the corner and connects to most places. The architecture is beautiful and historic and the morning coffee at the large terrace is great. And the chocolate croissants were so good that it was a motivation to wake up each morning (hahahah)
E T — Google review
Nice room in the heart of Barcelona. I have no Idea how many hundreds of years old the building is, but in certain places you can tell, and I think it adds to the charm. Unfortunately, the sliding doors that block the light for sleeping could certainly use some Lubrication since you have to open them in order to get to the Bathroom. That nails on a chalkboard noise will wake up anybody, including those in the rooms above or below (as we heard them from other rooms as well.). With that said it was a great location. The coffee machine and croissants in the morning we’re very appreciated
Brian W — Google review
The water, coffee, and chocolate service were absolutely fantastic, but above all, the location and the building itself were amazing! The room was spacious enough, and the balcony was lovely. The breakfast croissants were also incredibly delicious! I'd love to stay again :)
Chiaru M — Google review
The hotel is very well located in a lively neighborhood, and the rooms are spacious. Overall, the staff is quite friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, my stay was overshadowed by a serious issue: I was attacked by bedbugs during the night. Even more disappointing, the concierge on duty completely dismissed my concern and did not even bother to inform the management about it. This lack of care and responsibility left me very dissatisfied with the experience.

Nestled in the vibrant El Born district, Yurbban Trafalgar is a relaxed haven that perfectly blends modern comfort with an industrial flair. This stylish property boasts bright rooms and offers guests delightful amenities such as a rooftop terrace complete with a pool and bar, ideal for soaking up the stunning 360-degree views of Barcelona.
We had a great time at Yurbban Trafalgar. The room was comfortable for its size and had thoughtful touches like a fridge, kettle, and refillable water bottle station in the lobby. The free happy hour with wine, cheese, and picos was a nice bonus. We loved using the hotel bikes to explore the city, and the bed was super comfortable after a long day out. The rooftop was also a great spot to relax—especially the lounge chairs, even though we didn’t get a chance to use the pool. Highly recommend for a comfortable and convenient stay in the city.

Great hotel! Has everything you need. Solid location. The service is amazing. Such chill vibes. Rooftop views 10/10. Happy hour has free wine and tapas. The blackout curtains were fantastic. Would recommend!!!

My stay at the hotel was truly excellent. Every interaction, from the warm and attentive staff to the high quality of the services, made me feel cared for in a very special way. What impressed me most was the feeling of receiving much more than I had expected—what I would call a true experience of overdelivery. It turned my time at the hotel into something not only comfortable, but also memorable. Thank you for making my stay so special.
Roger S — Google review
I had a fantastic experience at this hotel! The location is incredibly central – everything you need is just a short walk away, whether it's public transport, restaurants, or sightseeing spots. The staff were exceptionally friendly and always willing to help with anything I needed, making me feel truly welcome from the moment I arrived. The bed was extremely comfortable – one of the best I’ve ever slept in – which made it easy to relax after a long day of exploring the city. What really stood out to me was how well insulated the room was. Despite being in the heart of the city, it was amazingly quiet, and I had no trouble sleeping at all. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again!
Tamara B — Google review
Overall, we had a nice stay at Yurbban Trafalgar. The rooms were definitely on the small side, but they were clean and well maintained. They provide premium toiletries if requested. I like how they also provide a glass bottle that is refillable. Everyday they have a complimentary cheese and wine hour in the lobby area with free pouring red wine, white wine and sangria until it runs out. They have a small gym and rooftop pool/bar area. The location of the hotel is very central and walkable. The rooftop has a nice view over the city. The service was friendly however, I had to take one star off because we asked the gentleman who checked us out to ensure one of the guests we had met during our stay was given a bottle of wine we had left him, but the guest never received it which was very disappointing.
Georgina T — Google review
The bedding in the hotel (mattresses pillows duvets) is made from synthetic materials which means you will constantly feel hot and sweaty even if the air conditioning is on. Stayed with a group of friends and everyone found the same they couldn’t get to sleep and kept waking up hot and sweaty in the night despite the air conditioning being on. Hotel is in a great location though and rooftop is nice, but no shade The lifts are boiling hot in summer, not air conditioned and you can’t use the stairs unless it’s an emergency. The air conditioning in the corridors was sometimes switched off/not working so it was very hot Wardrobes constantly breaking but maintenance is good, very efficient and fixed them Most rooms face interior Patio, only a few face the street Bathrooms are nice Breakfast buffet is good, reception area is nice Staff are friendly overall Some rooms are not in good condition - for example water leak stains on the walls and damp smells. The room should be properly stripped down, treated and redecorated to avoid damp issues, clearly this hasn’t been done.
H H — Google review
Great location and a nice hotel to stay. Rooms are basic but comfortable. Staff are friendly and informative. They have a washing machine and dryer (only one of each so first in best dressed) for guests to use and a free wine hour in the afternoon. This is really good value for money and I would stay again.
