Located on Mount Tibidabo, the Tibidabo Amusement Park is Spain's oldest amusement park and one of the first ever built in the world. With 25 rides, restaurants, picnic areas, and exceptional views of Barcelona, it offers a fun-filled experience for visitors of all ages. The park has been continuously updated with new attractions such as the Pendulum freefall ride and a hot-air-balloon-style ride for children.
🎢 Review: Tibidabo Amusement Park – Barcelona, Spain 🇪🇸 📍 Location: Tibidabo Hill, Barcelona 🌍 One of the oldest functioning amusement parks in the world with a breathtaking view of the city! As a travel consultant and explorer of family-friendly destinations, I can confidently say Tibidabo Amusement Park is not just about thrilling rides — it’s about history, nostalgia, and views you’ll never forget. 🔹 Highlights: ✅ Historic Charm – Open since 1901, this park beautifully blends vintage rides with modern touches. ✅ Stunning View – Set atop a mountain, you get panoramic views of Barcelona and the Mediterranean Sea. ✅ Family-Friendly – There are rides for all ages, including kids’ zones and relaxing attractions for adults. ✅ Unique Attractions – The Red Airplane ride and Avió are iconic — flying over the skyline is magical. ✅ Access to Temple of the Sacred Heart – A bonus visit to the beautiful church right next to the park. 🔸 Things to Consider: Access to the park involves a funicular ride or long uphill journey — plan accordingly. Ticket prices are slightly higher than some local attractions but worth the experience. Can be crowded on weekends and holidays. 📊 Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4.5/5) If you want a mix of old-school charm, beautiful scenery, and fun with family or friends, Tibidabo is a must-visit in Barcelona.
Khandakar M — Google review
MUST DO IN BARCELONA!! The views are breath-taking!! My kids absolutely loved every minute. The rides were so fun and different. Great for all ages, mine are 3-14 years old. Everyone was happy the whole day.
Melanie K — Google review
Tibidabo Amusement Park is such a fun and unique experience. It sits high above Barcelona, so even before you get on a ride, the views alone are worth the trip absolutely stunning panoramic views of the entire city and the Mediterranean Sea. The park itself has a mix of classic, vintage rides and newer attractions, which gives it a really charming, old-school feel. It’s not a massive thrill park like Disneyland, but it has a lot of character and is perfect for a fun day out. The iconic Ferris wheel and the plane ride are must-dos, especially for the photos! Getting there takes a little effort with the funicular, but it’s part of the adventure and totally worth it. Great spot for families, couples, or anyone who wants a memorable experience with gorgeous scenery. A magical place above Barcelona! 🎡✨
Rachel F — Google review
A church about 30 minutes from the city center, located on a hill with stunning views overlooking all of Barcelona. For just €5, you can climb to the top — definitely worth it! Highly recommend visiting at sunset for beautiful scenery. Don’t forget a jacket, as it can get quite windy and chilly up there.
Astrid L — Google review
Excellent panaromic view of Barcelona . Must go before setting of the sun so you will see both golden hours and night view of the city. If you have kiddo will love that place because this place is also a amusement park. Grab a coffee (only 2 euros at buffet) and enjoy the view. We used funiculare to get there and it is very comfy way to reach top. It is 13.5 euros.
Okan Y — Google review
Looks cool and you can spend some time there, especially if you have kids. If you want to have some fun up there then i do recommend to bring your courage with you :)). The view of Barcelona is spectacular. If you try the churros there, prepare to be disappointed, they are not the best, but if you do buy some, at least buy the hot chocolate, instead of the chocolate topping, trust me,it's way better
Babuscov S — Google review
Tibidabo is a beautiful amusement park on top of a mountain. At it’s peak there is a cathedral that you can visit, allowing you to go to the top of the building to have an amazing view over Barcelona. The admission fee is also very cheap. Don’t expect top of the line thrilling attractions on the top level (lower level attractions require an additional ticket if they are open). Top level attractions are solely focused on giving you a great view. With that being said, I highly recommend going here when you’re visiting Barcelona.
Tristan W — Google review
Very nice place on top of barcelona. We paid 60 euro 2 adults and 1 child. We played 5 games since most of them had many waiting times. It was overall a good experience. They have cafe and snacks at the top as well. It is a nice place to spend the day

Nature & Parks
Park Güell is a must-visit destination in Barcelona, showcasing the genius of architect Antoni Gaudi. This verdant park features mosaic-covered buildings, grand staircases, and sculptures that are truly captivating. The park offers panoramic views of Barcelona and the Mediterranean Sea. One of its most famous attractions is the colorful mosaic salamander, a popular spot for visitors to take selfies.
If you love architecture and nature then Park Güell will give you both in 1 experience. We really loved walking around with our dogs admiring Gaudi's work. As crowded as it may get there's still plenty of space for everyone to roam inside the park
Lara H — Google review
The buildings are great, but you can see them from the street, from the main entrance, so it's not worth buying a ticket. It's true that the park has other beautiful places than the well known Gaudi's buildings, but we wanted to visit it for this only reason and we left disappointed
Larisa U — Google review
If Gaudi knew his masterpieces would be turned into a tourist trap THIRSTING for money, he would be disgusted. I bought the tickets. Had an accident, couldn't attend exactly at the time that I had scheduled the tickets. They couldn't do anything. Not even get me a discount. Come on, do better. Ok, bought new tickets. The park is interesting, Gaudi never misses. Is it worth it paying 18 euros? Of course not. Stand outside the gates and you will see 95% of everything worth seeing. The workers are unprepared. There are so many nice things to see in Barcelona, if you don't have a lot of time, don't bother coming here.
Breno M — Google review
A stunning park. So much to see. Beautiful architecture and garden designs. Very busy and make sure you buy a ticket online before you go. You could spend a whole day here. Tapas and Cafes close by in side streets.
Amanda R — Google review
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An absolute must-see in Barcelona! Park Güell is a truly wonderful place – full of color, art, and magic – but make sure to visit with a guide! We had an amazing tour with Aurelija, and every single step of the park was beautifully explained and brought to life. Thanks to her stories and insights, we saw Park Güell through completely new eyes. A perfect experience – absolutely worth visiting! 🌿✨
Ausra Š — Google review
So much neat stuff to see. Gaudi was either a genius or a madman. Very interesting. Fully enjoyed the visit. Lots of stairs and steps but worth everyone.
Larry P — Google review
Beautiful park with many nice views of the city and its surroundings. It’s good not to rush the visit and take your time to explore it. A must do when in Barcelona if you want a break from the busy city life, however the main entrance can be incredibelly packed with people.
Kateřina N — Google review
Well it is worth the visit, but there are way to many tourists and can get quite annoying sometimes. The park is a little bit complicated and confusing, but still very interesting. The mosaics are wonderful and you can chill in the sun and also make some nice pictures. I do recommend to buy tickets online in advance

Barcelona Zoo is a park-like setting where visitors can see exotic animals in natural habitats and enjoy sea lion feedings. The zoo offers various ticket categories, with different prices for adults, children, individuals with disabilities, and seniors. It's a great option for families visiting Barcelona, as it provides an opportunity to explore a wide variety of plants and animals including lions, hippos, giraffes, elephants, orangutans, penguins and Komodo dragons.
My daughter and I had a blast here. We spent 2-3 hours walking the entire park and saw amazing animals of all kinds. We did not stop and eat at any of the restaurants however and recommend bringing your own food and drinks. Since it was very hot some animals were hiding in the shade but that is understandable. We saw more than enough to make the trip a memorable one!
Evan S — Google review
I went this afternoon with my friends! Was amazing since the beginning! I have been in many Zoo in Europe and this one was very beautiful! Clean.. Animals have they own space and they seem to be in good shape... Normally I don't support animales outside they natural environment but at least the animals seems to have more hope and more life chances in the zoo. Thanks to all the employees! Would recommend for sure to spend a beautiful time! Don't miss any animal!
Giselle C — Google review
We have both the tickets online. It was cheaper and we skipped the waiting line for buying the tickets. It has good variety of exotic animals. The most remarkable thing was the giant turtles you can’t see them at any zoo.
Anet S — Google review
If you buy the annual pass its the same price as one visit, you get disocunt on fod and allows you to enjoy special events. I great opportunity to forget about the city and enjoy a travel through the diferrent species. Some of them have a very tiny space considering their behaviour but all of them seem very well treated.
Juan M — Google review
This zoo was easy to find and access. Entrance was simple with our online bar codes. The zoo was clean, very walkable, kid-friendly and has a play area. We sadly didn’t arrive until 2:30 so we didn’t have enough time to explore the whole zoo! Would definitely come back again!
S. P — Google review
Great city zoo. Probably one of the best city zoos we have visited. Great selection of animals. Good price. Clean, tidy and hygienic. Selection of gift shops and eateries. Only downside is to make sure you have mosquito spray, as we were bitten a few times whilst there. Apart from that, would highly recommend.
Jake — Google review
The Barcelona Zoo was wonderful for me to see! There are so many animals, and I liked that the areas where they live are well maintained and imitate their natural environment. A really nice place to visit!
Dana P — Google review
I had a great time at Barcelona Zoo! I spent around 2–3 hours exploring and got to see so many different animals. The only ones I missed were the red pandas and the lion since they were probably resting, but overall it was a really fun experience. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Barcelona. Tip: you can get a discount on your ticket if you buy it through their official website, at least for the first time.

The CosmoCaixa Museum of Science is housed in a striking modernist building and offers an expansive space for interactive learning and exploration. The museum features the Matter Room, where visitors can engage with interactive displays to learn about the origins of the universe and life from a scientific perspective. Additionally, there is a planetarium activity designed for young children, a Geological Wall showcasing rock sections from different origins, and the impressive Flooded Forest that replicates the Amazonian ecosystem with water, plants, and animals.
Just amazing. Both for me and my 3yo kid. A lot of activities you could be part of, control, create, move, hit, watch. It’s realle full day activity and day will be not enough. Special love for forest. It feels like you're in another reality after all of those scientific experiments on the main hall. This place is must to be visited especially if you have kids.
Julia M — Google review
plenty of things to do with child! 8 euro per person. child doesn't need to pay. we spent almost 5 hours! lots of interactive and science things to do with child. my daughter love the aquarium and forest! recommend!!
Sam F — Google review
AI recommended this place for us and it is perfect. people come to barcelona for Gaudi and nature and science are the biggest inspiration for him - he can only imitate so much yet the universe has way more to offer. good for kids but we enjoy it as much. the neighbourhood is very nice too if you walk from the metro station.
Alicia C — Google review
Excellent experience for a family trip. Lots of activities, great for tourists to go, exploring endless knowledge of science and one of the nicest rainforest with real animals as well as real Capybara. It’s the best visit there during a Family holidays or a school trip! Nice memories!
Em — Google review
It is the most unique museum I have been to. Definetly needs to be on your bucket list in Barcelona. And it is extremly cheap. 8 euro per adult, kids 7&10 yeara entered for free.
Rahau E — Google review
If you are looking for an extraordinary experience with your kids, this interactive museum is the best place to go. You can easily spend an entire day exploring it, perfect for a rainy day for example. The entry is free for children under 10. The museum has a lot to offer and is 100% more recommendable than the Aquarium in Barcelona, which btw is hugely overpriced and overrated.
Klementina M — Google review
Wow, what an amazing place, for the whole family (adults and kids will both enjoy this equally). The science experiments and exhibitions are so well thought out and explained... And so much fun! The sunken forest is one of the best displays I've ever seen in any museum. One thing to be aware of is that while there are 5 floors, the main floor is by far the biggest, the other 4 floors are more like classrooms or exhibition spaces (and the excellent planetarium) so don't feel you have to rush through the main floor because there are four more the same. Take your time on the main floor. The restaurant is fair quality, but you will pay a little more than similar quality offsite restaurants (however, I think this is to be expected). You can take a lunch break at this cafe/restaurant and re-enter the museum without a problem. We loved every second of our trip.
Charles H — Google review
If you bank with them you can get in free, but they don't do the first Sunday of the month free museum thing that most museums here do. The bottom floor contained 90% of the exhibition because other things were either closed or the timing didn't work out for me. Lot of cool interactive physics displays so it was worth the 8€ to get in. The restaurant was not bad either.

Architectural Buildings
The Basílica de la Sagrada Família, located in the Example district of Barcelona, is a renowned unfinished church designed by Antoni Gaudí. Construction began in 1882 and has continued for over a century after Gaudí's death. The basilica features impressive facades representing the glory, the Birth, and the Passion of Jesus. It boasts 8 imposing towers with panoramic city views from elevators on each facade.
Visiting the Sagrada Família was honestly one of the highlights of my trip. You see photos everywhere, but nothing compares to standing in front of it and realizing how enormous and detailed it really is. Designed by Antoni Gaudí, construction started in 1882 and it’s still not finished but it's coming to an end. There’s something amazing about seeing a building that’s been growing for more than a century and continues to evolve with each generation continuing Gaudi's vision. Every part of it tells a story: the Nativity Façade is full of life and nature, while the Passion Façade is dramatic and emotional. Inside, the light through the stained-glass windows looks magical — it changes color throughout the day and fills the space with warmth, peace and wonderful colours. Even with all the crowds, the atmosphere is calm and awe-inspiring. It really feels like a place where art, faith, and nature come together. It's one of the most beautiful landmarks on the world. Book tickets online in advance and go early in the morning if you want to avoid long lines. And if you can, climb one of the towers — the view over Barcelona is unforgettable.
Przemyslaw K — Google review
The Sagrada Família in Barcelona is truly one of the most breathtaking architectural masterpieces in the world. Designed by the genius Antoni Gaudí, this basilica is a perfect blend of art, nature, and spirituality. Every detail — from the soaring towers to the intricate carvings — tells a story and reflects Gaudí’s deep imagination and devotion. The interior is just as stunning as the exterior. When sunlight shines through the colorful stained-glass windows, the entire space glows with vibrant colors, creating a peaceful and almost magical atmosphere. It feels like stepping into a dream. Although it’s still under construction after more than a century, that only adds to its charm and mystery. Visiting the Sagrada Família is not just about seeing a building — it’s about experiencing the heart of Barcelona’s culture and creativity. It’s an absolute must-see for anyone visiting Spain.
Nika S — Google review
The Basilica de la Sagrada Família in Barcelona is one of the most extraordinary architectural masterpieces in the world. Designed by Antoni Gaudí, it perfectly combines faith, art, and innovation. The intricate details of the façade, inspired by nature and biblical stories, are breathtaking, while the interior feels almost otherworldly, filled with colorful light streaming through the stained-glass windows. The atmosphere inside is both peaceful and awe-inspiring. Although the basilica is still under construction, this adds a unique charm, witnessing a living piece of history being completed. Visiting the Sagrada Família is an unforgettable experience and an absolute must-see in Barcelona.
Mateo B — Google review
Visiting the Sagrada Família was unforgettable. The exterior is already stunning, but the interior truly amazed me. The way light pours through the stained-glass windows creates a calm, ethereal atmosphere that feels almost unreal. Even with crowds, the space feels peaceful and intentional. The blend of nature-inspired design, soaring columns, and intricate details makes this one of the most inspiring architectural experiences I have ever had. Highly recommend booking in advance and choosing a tower visit if you can — the views add another layer to understanding Gaudí’s vision.
Ling — Google review
We had a guided tour. We don't normally do this but in this case it was necessary. The guide was informative amusing and personable. As for the Sagrada Familia itself, quite simply WOW! It was everything we had been told and so much more. The explanations of Gaudi's reasoning for the various aspects of the design brought the whole building into focus. It is truly an experience. The company we used was The Tour Guy. If all their guides are as good as ours you cannot go wrong. It may seem costly but IMHO it's worth it.
Frank B — Google review
The Basilica of the Sagrada Família is truly one of the most awe-inspiring sites in the world and should be on your must-see list in Barcelona. No photos can capture the feeling of standing inside and seeing the light pour through the stained-glass windows—it’s breathtaking. The blend of color, geometry, and symbolism in Gaudí’s design is unlike anything else. Every column and carving feels purposeful, telling a story that connects nature, faith, and art. We booked a guided tour in advance, which made entry smooth and stress-free. The tours have a dedicated line making clearing security and entering the Basilica easy and highly recommended for the information provided by the guides making the experience more memorable. Allow at least 60-90 minutes to fully take it in, and don’t rush. Whether you’re religious or not, this is a place that inspires reflection and wonder. You are welcome to sit and reflect in one of the pews or simply rest your feet. You can buy tickets to view Barcelona from the top or visit the basement for more history and the gift shop. Unlike any church or basilica you will see.
Linda F — Google review
Very cool architecture! They still have a ton of work they are doing lot of scaffolding. If you want to go in get tickets weeks in advance no chance day of there are just way to many people! Had a ticket for tower but unfortunately it was to windy! Such an amazing place!
John W — Google review
⸻ Sagrada Família is one of those places that feels unreal no matter how many photos you’ve seen before. During the day, the details of the architecture are incredible, and the sunlight through the stained glass fills the whole space with amazing colors. At night, the atmosphere changes completely. The lights make the basilica look almost magical, like a completely different place. It’s honestly mind-blowing to think how something so complex and beautiful could be designed and is still being built after more than a century. You can easily spend a long time just walking around, discovering new details in every corner. If you want to take great photos and enjoy the view without being surrounded by huge crowds, I definitely recommend coming after 10 pm. It’s much quieter, and you can really appreciate the beauty and scale of the building. An unforgettable experience and an absolute must-see in Barcelona.

Located on the slopes of Montjuic hill, it is considered one of the city's symbols. In the evening, the fountain transforms into an enchanting display as water jets dance to melodies from composers like Bach, Beethoven, and Tchaikovsky.
In my opinion THE place to be in Barcelona for the evenings/sunset. The view from the streets up the "Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya" is breathtaking. There are 3 stages of steps to reach the top, each with its own scenic views of the city. Reach top and then there is the spectacular view of the city. Stay top, enjoy the sunset with some good live music that's performed everyday. The fountain then starts in late evening, enjoy it from the top and then walk back down and enjoy close-up. Totally worthwhile!

We were fortunate to catch the Magic Fountain show on our last night in Barcelona (Thursday it also runs on Fridays and Saturdays). We arrived around 8:30 pm and found seats on the benches opposite the fountains. If you’d like one of the popular spots on the museum steps, I’d suggest getting there earlier, but our view was still great - even standing closer to the fountains worked well. The pre-show began around 8:45 pm, with the main show starting at 9 pm and lasting well over 30 minutes. It was much better than I expected, with lights and water dancing to popular soundtracks. There was a lovely family atmosphere all around. Totally recommend catching it if you’re in Barcelona on one of the show nights!

One of the most amazing spectacles in the world! A must see on any sight seeing agenda! It has just reopened, after 3 years of drought restrictions, and renovations, and it is now back with a bang! I saw it on Sunday night to mark the finale of Barcelona’s festivities, when over 110,000 people came to watch the show, snd what a wonder it was to behold! Over 3 hours of the fountain dancing to music and lit in beautiful colours, and then a 30 minute fire work display to top it all off! This was a truly magnificent sight, mesmerisingly beautiful and truly magic… will i be back… yes i will…😀

The name says all!!! Wonderful show⛲🎵🎶 Completely restored with excellent water and lights show 💡⚡ If you go too close, you get wet... 😉😂 The only negative point is the choice of music👎🏽.. some are really boring and dull 🥱. Please update!!! Otherwise I am highly recommend it!!! Thanks Barcelona 🤗😁🥳

Walk to the very top in front of the art museum, fantastic view across the whole city ! , I think the fountains are only turned on on certain days as both times we visited they weren’t turned on, so worth checking, it’s best to visit this area at dusk to late evening to get a great view, it’s not too steep to climb to top for the best view as there’s outdoor escalators most of the way up ! Although some of them weren’t working

Finnaly is this Fountain working. Shows every fryday and saturday from 21h (on October) and from 20h from November- December 2025. Beautiful show. Must see. I recommend to come 30 minutes or one hour after the start of the show, because many people leaves and this time and you have better view with less people.

The fountain re-opened recently. We visited mid Oct 2025. Great and fun experience - One hour of music and a dancing fountain. It was fun, and a nice activity. The show is on Thu-Sat 9pm-10pm.

Don’t believe that it’s closed. Online is false. I was there last night and wow! This is something you definitely would like to go see!! It’s worth the wait and so many people show up!

The Museu de la Xocolata, also known as the Chocolate Museum, is a delightful attraction for chocolate enthusiasts of all ages. Located just a short walk from the Picasso Museum, this museum offers a fascinating journey through the history of chocolate, from its introduction to Europe in the 16th century to its popularity in Spain. Housed in a historic building once belonging to the Bourbon army, visitors can explore various installations that showcase the cultural and culinary significance of chocolate.
The museum's collection is truly captivating, offering a diverse range of artifacts. Here they have contemporary masterpieces, there's something to pique everyone's interest. The lighting and layout enhance the viewing experience, creating a pleasant atmosphere. The staff is knowledgeable and approachable, adding to the overall positive impression. The museum's gift shop offers a unique selection of chocolate. It's a place where history comes alive, inspiring curiosity and wonder. I highly recommend a visit to this remarkable institution if you want to learn something new about chocolate!
Tsvetomir P — Google review
Enjoyed the short visit. The museum offers a quite detail about how the cacao bean is taken from the beginning like,3000 years ago and how ancient people used to make chocolate, chocolate drinking culture in Europe etc. Large chocolate sculptures are fun to see. Also, there is a lot of antique chocolate creating equipment from 1800’s on display. A chocolate bar that was given as entrance ticket was a cool Edition.
Sumandra M — Google review
An interesting place that shows the history of chocolate. The ticket costs €7 and comes in the form of a piece of chocolate. It is quite unique. The chocolate itself tastes pretty good and not too sweet. There are also some special artworks made entirely of chocolate. Spending about an hour here in the afternoon is just right.
Uncle C — Google review
We visited this museum to take part in the chocolate lollipop workshop. We had great fun and loved making the lollipops. I just wish that it was available in milk chocolate, not only dark chocolate. The museum itself is quite small but it’s amazing to see all the different works of art that are completely made out of chocolate! I wouldn’t visit here without taking part in a workshop though.
Becky W — Google review
The building was huge but we only have access to one floor, including the exhibition area and the chocolate shop. We planned to stay here for 1.5 hour but it only took us below 45 minutes as it was too small. The ticket was literally a bar of chocolate, it is so cute! Although the exhibition area was smaller than expected, it is still worth visiting. P.s. There is also a washroom near the chocolate shop.
Kristy — Google review
Overall a nice experience. The ticket entry to the museum is in a chocolate form which is creative. The chocolate structures are nice to watch and you get to read about chocolate's history.

A chocolate bar is given to you as your ticket that you have to scan before entering—will cost you 7€ for gen ad. It’s a small museum which won’t take much time but still enjoyable. Some video room (2 of them) were under repair at the moment of my visit but they had one room that was still available to watch, and it has a small bench inside. You can watch it in different languages. This is for history and such. After that, they have a cafeteria and I purchased cortado and hot chocolate. They also sell chocolates, lots of bombones you have to check out.
Justine Z — Google review
Good for a visit and included in the Barcelona Card. They are exhibiting a couple of models and figures made of chocolate. The history about chocolate and processing has a minor role. The tour is about 10-15min and your ticket is a small chocolate bar.

The Chocolate Museum Cafe, located in a former monastery, is a delightful homage to the history of chocolate in Europe. Visitors can explore its introduction to the continent in the 15th century and modern advancements by chocolatiers. The museum offers educational workshops where guests can learn to make sweet treats like truffles and lollipops. Additionally, it features intricate chocolate sculptures and provides opportunities for tastings.
I recently visited the café within the chocolate museum with admittedly low expectations, as we hadn't sampled anything with chocolate apart from their hot chocolate. However, I was pleasantly surprised by their pastries. We tried the ricotta croissant and the lemon cream croissant roll, and they were both absolutely delicious, at fair price. The ricotta croissant, in particular, stood out with its sugar-coated top that provided a perfect balance to the cream inside. It wasn't overly sweet, and this delicate sweetness added a delightful touch to its overall flavor. The lemon cream croissant roll was also a nice treat.

The hot chocolate taste really good. Rich in flavour and not too sweet. The chocolate (1 euro each) tastes good as well. It is a nice place to rest after visiting the museum.

The hot chocolate is divine. A true testament to the love and care they put into the museum itself. The staff was very friendly and helpful in recommending bonbon flavors. Probably my favorite stop in Barcelona
Isuhoa — Google review
This is the hidden gem in Europe. You can travel around Europe to find really nice chocolates but you would not have guessed that chocolate produced by a chocolate museum in Barcelona is actually one of the best places, and even on the same level as expensive chocolatiers in Paris, Switzerland or Belgium. As I review this the chocolate truffles are only €1 per piece and there are so many to choose from. They have their own beans to bar production in house so no wonder why their products are so fresh. Who knew that Catalan’s chocolate is so underrated and I encourage all the chia plate lovers who have come to Barcelona to visit this place and buy them to eat and as gifts!
Narong C — Google review
A nice and comfortable café with a huge variety of chocolates to choose from. Every pieces we ordered was delicious. The hot cocoa drink was great.

the café is admittedly not the coziest place, but makes up for it by delicious chocolate (from 1€ per piece) and reasonable prices (café americano 1,50€). the staff is super friendly and helpful. you don't need a museum ticket to visit the café.

Arenas & Stadiums
The Spotify Camp Nou is the iconic home ground of the renowned Barcelona football club. It was inaugurated in 1957 and is known for having the greatest capacity in Europe, making it one of the largest stadiums globally. The stadium offers regular matches as well as tours and a museum, attracting football enthusiasts from around the world. Visitors can explore the locker rooms, tunnels, and field on a tour, providing an immersive experience into the team's environment.
Unfortunately, the stadium is being renovated, so you cannot see the true value of this football stadium. However, aware of the value of the stadium, its tradition, the fact that it is one of the most beautiful and largest stadiums in the world, it receives 5 stars. I will definitely come back once the stadium is finished to enjoy its beauty, but also to watch the Barcelona game :)
Sveto R — Google review
Our accommodation was only a 15-minute walk from Camp Nou, so even though it wasn’t part of our original plan, we decided to visit. Unfortunately, our travel dates didn’t match any match days, but it was still worth walking around the stadium, and especially visiting the official Barça merchandise store. Some people say there’s no need to come all the way here because the Barça stores in central Barcelona are cheaper and easier to access. But I disagree. This place is HUGE. A three-story building with practically everything you could imagine. You can find classic replica kits like the 94–95 away jersey, as well as Nike Dri-FIT official sponsor versions. There’s a wide variety of caps, bags, and other accessories too. The staff were all very friendly. You can even see Messi’s autographed jersey and captain’s armband. If you want, you can buy the replicas, just for €2,999.99 and €1,999.99 respectively. There’s also a café and a nice rest area, so if you’re visiting Barcelona and a football fan, I highly recommend stopping by this legendary place. + You can find drinks with Barça packaging for more generous price at supermarkets in the city center.

When I went it was under construction so I didn't get the full experience. If you would like to go just make sure if these works are done or not yet. Actually the stadium is not that astonishing but if you are a Barcelona fan then obviously you'll get in love with 😅

Very nice experience. The interactive museum is well made, got to see many iconic items on display. Thought not very big still a nice tour especially if you like the FC Barcelona team. I highly recommend you book your tickets before arriving. Also, better to book an early time visit as the line and waiting time tend to get longer.
Fadi H — Google review
It was a good experience visiting the stadium and the museum, however since the stadium is under construction at the moment it wasn't possible to feel the right energy. Once everything is completed i believe that i will give it 5 stars!
Kire S — Google review
I’ve seen some complaints, but honestly -the stadium’s under renovation, not a secret! What did you expect, a VIP tour of cranes and concrete? The real magic is the feeling of Barça itself , the history, trophies, jerseys, and spirit. The interactive legends show gave me chills, and Messi’s iconic celebration against Madrid next to his golden shoes nearly broke my heart . Paid under €100 for two tickets Worth every cent. Can’t wait for the reopening! Visca el Barça!
Haidar A — Google review
Was under construction, but still amazing, the trophy museum is a must too. Couldn’t go inside the stadium but there’s a construction viewpoint where you can see it from the outside but closer up. If visiting the stadium itself, get tickets of course, but for the trophy museum, you can purchase when you reach.

Poble Espanyol, also known as Spanish Town, is an open-air museum in Barcelona that offers a unique experience for visitors of all ages. Established in 1929 for the Barcelona International Exposition, this expansive site features 117 meticulously crafted buildings representing diverse architectural styles from regions across Spain. As you wander through the streets reminiscent of Andalusia with white houses and blue pots, you'll encounter artisan shops, art galleries, restaurants, and live music venues.
We really enjoyed our time here. My husband was a little dubious it would be tacky and naff but it was lovely to spend the afternoon wandering the streets of Spain while not venturing far from Barcelona city centre. The little shops were great...we picked up a beautiful piece of artwork and tried some amazing sweet treats. The food offering was OK...nothing special but good enough. Highly recommend visiting here when you need a break from the bustle of Barcelona but still want to do something authentically Spanish.

i wish i liked this place more. i liked the concept of it, but i found very little to explore during my visit. i decided to come later in the day, because i had lots of other things planned in the morning and this was opened later. i had my ticket already purchased online, it was date-specific, and at the gate i was told the monastery was closed for a private event, so we couldn't visit that and the area surrounding it, which i found odd. i didn't know prior to my purchase this aspect. the artisans have mostly left by then (i got there at around 16h) and it felt very empty. i expected to appreciate the architecture, which i did, even though it had a slight tacky feeling. there were lots of english signs with explanations. the art museum was really wonderful, i loved the collection presented.

Stopped here during our Hop on Hop Off. I saw the pictures of the umbrellas & just had to see it! You have to purchasea ticket to enter. I believe it was $15 just to enter & freely walk around. We went on a Friday & surprisingly wasn't crowded. No line for tickets & once you're in is a huge place to walk around. Lots of stores were artsy & craft things which was really cool. Got a handmade purse that I used for the rest of the trip. Lots of restaurants around too. The buildings & architecture are just amazing! The area is a lot bigger than it looks from the outside!

I love the festivals in here💯 I’ve been here so many times and it doesn’t disappoint. Don’t miss visiting Poble Espanyol even if there is no event there. The alleys are exceptional and you can enjoy walking by beautiful stores and cafes! I’m looking forward to the next festival in here to go🤞🏻

Google maps will tell you this is open till midnight, and while it may be, they stop renting audio guides after 7 pm (no online audio guide option) and many of the shops, galleries, attractions and restaurants close. It was still fun and interesting walking around the village, and finding an open restaurant to sip wine and people watch, while waiting for the magic fountain (nearby) at 9 pm. The reason for the 3 star review was the ticket agents provided misinformation (saying only one of the several restaurants was open - we saw 3 food trucks, 2 restaurants, a bar?, and a coffee shop open) and the paper map had audio guide numbers but not much other info on the buildings.
Michael S — Google review
Recommended if you are a family, a local who cannot travel throughout Spain, or a tourist who does not have time to travel all over Spain. If you have traveled all over Spain, it is not particularly interesting. If you have time to waste, it's best to visit when it's free: La Mercè, 48h open house bcn, etc. But you'll have to wait for 1-2 hours! Signs explain the different buildings and provide information about the regions represented. They regularly have themes (e.g., Halloween), but I recommend visiting without these themes to fully admire the Spain represented.

Absolutely loved the places and I appreciated knowing more about how and why the built such a beautiful place ! I'm glad they kept pushing through for the project to come out so beautiful. I especially liked the animation FIESTA, it's so moving (emotionally). Nevertheless, some parts of the place need to be replaced by more modern animation I think (like the feel Spain Mediterranean animation and Don Quijote.
Alix J — Google review
Good way to spend a couple of hours getting a bit of Spanish culture. Plenty of English language explanations of the exhibits, especially if you pay a bit extra for the audio guide (€20 cash deposit). Includes a modern art exhibition with exhibits from big Spanish artists, which is worth a visit. Only negatives, the main square was taken over by a large tent for an event, which got in the way, and the large scale commercialisation with shops and restaurants (not particularly good ones from our experience either) packed into the buildings. Still worth a visit though, and as you're into a bit of architecture don't miss Mies Van Der Rohe's Pavilion which is a 10 minute walk down the hill.

Aquàrium Barcelona, located in the Old Port of Barcelona, is a spectacular attraction boasting approximately 11,000 marine animals from 450 different species. With 14 tanks representing various global climatic zones, visitors can explore Mediterranean marine life and witness captivating creatures such as moray eels, sand tiger sharks, and Atlantic wreckfish. The highlight is the Oceanarium where visitors can walk through an underwater glass tunnel surrounded by clown fish, octopi, rays and bull sharks swimming overhead.
The Starfish Underwater Aquarium in Barcelona is a truly magical experience for anyone who loves marine life. Located in Port Vell, it offers an incredible journey beneath the sea, where visitors can admire a wide variety of sea creatures — from colorful tropical fish and elegant rays to the fascinating starfish that give the aquarium its special charm. One of the highlights is the large underwater tunnel, which lets you walk through the ocean surrounded by sharks, sea turtles, and hundreds of other fish. The lighting and design create a calm, almost dreamlike atmosphere that makes you feel like you’re part of the ocean world. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to share interesting facts about marine conservation. The aquarium is perfect for families, couples, and travelers of all ages who want to explore the wonders of the underwater world without getting wet! Overall, it’s a must-visit attraction in Barcelona — educational, relaxing, and unforgettable 😍😍✨
Vanina H — Google review
As we had read online, it was an aquarium where you would not have walked for too long. Despite that, we had a great time and enjoyed all the fish we saw. As adults and the kind of person of watch and move on, you would be done very quick. If you are someone who likes to watch a little longer, you will certainly last longer. We are the type of people who watch calm and keep going, so we enjoyed ourselves there for about 45 minutes to an hour. I definitely recommend stopping by if you like watching fish. You can also take pictures. We went on a weekday and then it is relatively quiet, if there aren't any holidays. This also allowed us to watch quietly and were not constantly "disturbed" by people who also wanted to look at the same place at the same time. At first we also wanted to eat something there, but we soon found out that it is relatively expensive to eat there so we decided to look for it somewhere else.
Stephanie G — Google review
The place is great for kids, they will love it with lots of sea animals and big sharks going around close to them. The place is pretty small, you can go around the place in 30 mins if you were quick. However the place has a lot of pictures perfect spots to a great picture with sharks. The price of tickets are high, considering the place is touristy and it’s near Barcelona beaches which is swamped with tourists still the ticket price compared to the size of the place is really high. [PERSONAL OPINION ON TICKET PRICE]

Had an amazing time! It’s a bit smaller than I expected but the tanks were clean and had a lot of beautiful and amazing looking animals too. I did buy tickets online, it was definitely something fun to do with children or on a slow afternoon or even a date night out. Even stopped and got a stuffed animal to remember the time from.
Lena B — Google review
This was honestly such a beautiful and surreal experience. There were many exotic animals that I’ve never seen or heard of before and it was super cool getting to learn about them! There were two aquatic tunnels and I was mesmerized by the sea life that surrounded me, such as stingrays and sharks, and other giant creatures. There is also a koi fish feeding stations that you all NEED to try out. You have to pay 4 euros to get a bottle of (well, whatever they eat idk) but it’s worth it!!! It was such a fun experience and it was so cute to see the koi fish enjoy their meal. My cafe experience was a bit disappointing because I ordered an iced matcha latte but it was so diluted you could barely taste the matcha…so don’t waste your money getting that :/ Anyway, the shop they had at the end had great variety in souvenirs and I got a jelly fish plushie and a key chain!!! I recommend going here, whether you’re a kid or an adult, this aquarium has something for all to see! 🐠🌊🐬🦀

There was a line of about 25-30 people to buy tickets at the counter, but there were also screens to buy your tickets on yourself, nobody was there, so it was fast and easy for us. The aquarium is not big but it is well organised and can be fun especially if you have kids. I would say it is a little bit overpriced, but if it is a rainy day, it is worth the visit. You can spend 1-2 hours here

Best Aquarium in the World Probably one of the best Aquarium in the world. My kids love this place and so do I. It is first a very grand Aquarium in comparison to other, just by its sheer size. Then they took seriously the educational side of things. So everywhere you have lots of information, etc. This is a must do in Barcelona!
Paul V — Google review
We visited this place in the summer, and to be honest, it was extremely expensive for what you get. Compared to the aquarium in Budapest, the Barcelona one was actually quite terrible. Aside from a huge amount of tiny, uninteresting fish, there really wasn’t much else to see. The only parts we found slightly more interesting were the penguins and the octopus. From the outside, the building looks very large, but inside the spaces are narrow and overcrowded, which made the visit uncomfortable. Another issue was the information screens: when you tried to read about an animal, the text switched so quickly that you barely had time to read it. Overall, it didn’t live up to our expectations and definitely wasn’t worth the price.

The area gained prominence during the International Exposition of 1929, leading to the development of iconic buildings and cultural landmarks. Visitors can explore Montjuïc Castle, museums such as the National Art Museum of Catalonia and the Joan Miro Foundation, and leisure options like the Montjuïc Cable Car and Magic Fountain.
Montjuïc Park is a must-visit in Barcelona, offering breathtaking city views, beautiful gardens, and historic landmarks. It’s perfect for a walk, a cable car ride, or simply enjoying nature and culture in one place.

The views from the top are fantastic. Unfortunately not a huge amount to see/do other than the aforementioned view. If you go on a hot day be wary that there are not many places to escape the sun although on the top floor there is a nice breeze. The cable car journey to and from had equally good views.
Mark P — Google review
I have a mixed review. It is not a trip i would recommend with small kids in the summer. We made this mistake. The cable car ride is fun for them, but getting there is a bit hectic via the metro, then funicular, then a line to get on the cable car. and then after the rather expensive ($12 and up pp) 5 minute ride there is not much for them to do. And for summer of course the heat is intense with no place for relief. Also no public restrooms up top unless u pay to go into the castle. No place to buy water up top either so definitely bring coins to buy from the street vendors. The views are amazing. For adults, it is great! There is a castle to explore at an extra cost. Great for walks/hikes/biking etc. I imagine in cooler weather it is nice to have a family picnic here. But i really do not recommend for kids in the middle of summer. Also although u can take a stroller up, at the top the path is very big uneven bricks. Beautiful and historic but ur stroller wont make it. We took some great pics but it was 3 very hot hours and we regret it. My advice is go without kids for a great, active day of exploration.

So Montjuic park has this cable car lift. Let’s gooooo! Want to hover above the Barcelona like an eagle? Step right into this glass pod of mild vertigo and great views. This is the cable car you have to take to get up to Montjuic Castle. This is a must do for the views.

Montjuïc was one of the most enjoyable parts of my visit to Barcelona. It’s a perfect place to escape the crowds and explore at a slower pace. The views from the top are absolutely stunning. I bought the tickets in advance with the cable car to go up and down and it was totally worth it! There’s so much to see up there: the Montjuïc Castle 🏰, beautiful gardens like the Jardins de Joan Maragall 🌺, and even some cool museums like the National Art Museum of Catalonia (MNAC) 🖼️. I took the cable car up and it was such a fun way to see the city from above 🚡 — highly recommended! It’s a great mix of history, nature, and culture. Whether you’re into walking, photography, or just relaxing with a great view, Montjuïc has something for everyone. It feels like a different world compared to the busy city center. Take your time, bring water, and wear good shoes, it’s a big area with lots to explore. I’m really glad I didn’t skip it!
Stav T — Google review
The views are phenomenal and I imagine if you visit towards sunset or sunrise then it adds that extra 'wow' on top. Our route was very quiet, we didn't see many people however I would say it is quite exposed and hot in the Spring/ Summer time so make sure to bring hydration/ caps/ covers and sun cream. When you get to the top it is totally worth it as the views are fantastic. One of the better attractions we have visited whilst being in Barcelona. There is a little bit of litter and graffiti however on the way down it was spotless so it really depends what route you decide to take.
Maya — Google review
Park greens not well maintained, washed out paths - pretty dangerous to stumble. Cable car tickets are 11€ / one way or 17€ / both ways. Save that money and spend it some where else in the city. Castle itself is another 12€ / person. Overall, we were very upset. It is not worth the hype. Due to not watering any plants it looks very dry.

Ciutadella Park, the first public park in Barcelona, was established in the late 1800s and is situated in the Ciutat Vella neighborhood. Originally designed by Josep Fontsere, it underwent modifications to accommodate the World Exhibition facilities and later to house the Barcelona Zoo. The park spans around 17 hectares and features attractions such as the Zoology Museum, Geology Museum, and Parlament de Catalunya within its grounds.
We loved this place! Beautiful park with plenty of space to walk around and take a step back from the busy streets of Barcelona. The fountain is really impressive. Absolutely beautiful. Only thing I would recommend would be make sure you have some water on a hot day. It’s not very covered and could use a touch more shaded areas IMHO. Other than that it was great!

Very beautiful park, but some things could be better. There are a lot of sellers offering you things to buy every ten seconds, which is a little unpleasant. The greenery is very beautiful, the trees are mature and the constructions are gorgeous. The lake would be beautiful as it is but it is always packed with tourists on boats. The fountains work and they are really pretty, it is not too crowded and you will not mind all the tourists. The only esthetically unpleasing sight of the park are all the metal fences around the trees. There is a sign you cannot step on the grass but everybody is having a picnic on the grass, so do not worry too much about that. They dont really mind. There is a small shop where you can buy (overpriced, but that is to be expected) snacks and drinks. There a few toilets and I assume they work, but they are dirty and unpleasant and they do not have toilet paper, so bring a tissue. Overall a nice place to check out if you are in Barcelona and want a breath of chiller air. There is always a free bench to relax on.

It's a wonderful Green space, quite large, Lots of trees and refreshing. We rented bikes and enjoyed it very much. It's beautiful. Lot to see lots of paths. The Cascade fountain & greenhouses are really nice.
Stephanie H — Google review
The place is a good park to spend some quality time with friends and family. Mostly used as a picnic place by locals and picture perfect location by the tourists. However the place is not well maintained, the fountains were not functional and the water was dirty with trash and green in colour. It has a good walkable path around the entire park with the structure and fountain being at its center. One more attraction will be the pond situated within the park with boating facility and a lot of ducks.
Ajay M — Google review
We came here with our dogs and were very impressed. There is doggy area that is fenced off so you can let your dog run free and meet other dogs, it even has a water station for them. The park is well kept and very enjoyable.

Parc de la Ciutadella is absolutely beautiful! 🌿✨ I visited Barcelona in August .I did a photoshoot and it’s the perfect spot if you want amazing pictures. The park is very clean, spacious, and full of charm. It’s located right next to the trendy El Born neighborhood, only about a 12–15 minutes walk from Barcelona’s port. And just across one of the park’s exits, you’ll find the stunning brick Arc de Triomf, another great place for pictures. If you have some time during your trip, this park is definitely worth a visit!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Parc de la Ciutadella is a must-visit in Barcelona! 🌿 Easy to access, no tickets or waiting — just walk in and enjoy the beauty. The park’s stunning fountain, peaceful lake with rowboats, and views of the nearby Arc de Triomf make it a perfect spot for a picnic or stroll. You’ll see families, couples, and street performers all adding to the lively atmosphere. It’s well-maintained and free to enter — just keep an eye on your belongings. A truly relaxing green escape right in the heart of the city!

Beautiful park where you can have a picnic with friends or just sit by a tree and read a book in peace. You can also walk around the park and rent a small boat in the lake. Highly recommended to pass by + it's close to the arc of triumph so you can see both on the same day.

Mercat de la Boqueria is a renowned indoor public market located off La Ramblas boulevard in Barcelona. It is the largest and most iconic food market in the city, offering a bustling space filled with stalls selling a variety of local delights. Visitors can explore the maze-like market and indulge in fresh fruit, seafood, meats, and tapas treats. The vibrant atmosphere and diverse offerings make it a must-see destination for food lovers and an integral part of Barcelona's market culture.
Very popular and busy market. Here you find great quality of meats, seafood, fruits and vegetable. There are plenty of food stalls to choose from. Quality here is top notch but equally the prices are fairly high for most products. The ready to eat fruits are absolutely delicious as well as the Iberico ham and fresh seafood. Definitely give the paella here a try as well. At the backside of the market is a small square where you can find few spots to sit and enjoy your food.

What a great market! So neat! Delicious food and beverages, friendly people. The juices were my favorite! I tried 4 they were that good! Beautiful presentations in each stand. I’d love to go back.

Such a fun and lively market! You can find all kinds of food here fresh fruit, juices, snacks, and tapas. I tried the strawberries with Nutella which is quite safe and they were delicious! The caramelized peanuts were also amazing. I wouldn’t really recommend the empanadas though they tasted a bit old. But overall, it’s a great place to wander around and you’ll definitely find something tasty to try!

This market offers pretty decent options of local cheese and hammon, fried seafood, fries, chocolate, exotic fruits and lots of fresh/smoothie’s options. It is overcrowded, but that it’s charm. Definitely it is a must visit lace.

We visited Mercat de la Boqueria on a Saturday and lucked out—it was way less crowded than usual thanks to a Barça game happening that day. The market itself is colorful, lively, and full of energy. It’s a great spot to stroll through and taste all kinds of food: fresh juices, jamón, seafood, etc. We tried a bit of everything and loved how easy it was to snack as we walked. Definitely worth checking out and it’s super conveniently located next to the Ramblas
Richard O — Google review
Buzzing with activity. Great for fresh fruit and drinks. Lots of spices and tapas to choose from. Great to soak up the atmosphere and grab a bite to eat whilst walking around at the same time
Stella E — Google review
An interesting market with ready made seafood, tacos, tapas, paella, juices, fresh fruits, nuts and dried fruits. Also have raw meats and beef. Many people are trying food and drinks enjoying the products. Most of the nuts and dried fruits stalls offer samples when you walked by. Despite the vibrant color and varieties, we are skeptical to try. Juices and dried fruits color are so vibrant suggesting food colouring might be used. Given the summer temperature the cooked food are all pre-packed and placed in room temperature counter, not really feel very hygienic for bacterial growth. Worth a visit however we did not buy anything from there.

Barceloneta Beach, the oldest beach in Barcelona, is a popular spot for swimming and lounging. It offers various services such as rental chairs, umbrellas, and Wi-Fi. The beach is located near prominent landmarks like the W Hotel and Aquarium de Barcelona. Visitors can also find art installations including the sculpture Homenatge a la Barceloneta. With its cool ambience and eclectic mix of people, it's considered one of the top beaches in Catalonia.
This man-made beach is great because: it is located very close to the city center (15 minute drive from Gothic Quarter); large beach with plenty of space (even on crowded Sundays); sand is soft; young vibe; long breakwater into the ocean; shaded promenade near the shore; and pretty boardwalk. Topless suntanning appears to be permitted. Did not see umbrella rentals or chair rentals - bring your own.
Adam H — Google review
Very big crowd, no sunbeds, you have to watch out for pickpockets and thieves, not my style unfortunately. The beach has fine sand, which is great, and the water is also beautiful, regardless of the fact that it is a city beach and that the port is not far away.

La Barceloneta is a neighborhood in the Ciutat Vella district of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. The neighborhood was built in the 18th century. La Barceloneta is known for its sandy beaches. With its modernity, La Barceloneta still retains the scent of salt and marine life. For many, this is considered a luxury. La Barceloneta also attracts many cruise ships to dock.

The Telefèric de Montjuïc, also known as the Montjuic Cable Car, is a scenic aerial tramway that takes visitors from Parc de Montjuïc to Castell de Montjuïc. The journey offers breathtaking panoramic views of Barcelona and the Mediterranean Sea. The cable car ascends approximately 750 meters in about 5 minutes, culminating at the top of Montjuic Mountain where the historic Montjuic Castle is located.
A Magical Ride with Stunning Views! We visited the Telefèric de Montjuïc with family and friends, and it was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Barcelona! The cable car ride was smooth, safe, and incredibly scenic. As we ascended, the views of the city, coastline, and Montjuïc hill unfolded beautifully before us — absolutely breathtaking! The kids were thrilled, and the adults enjoyed every moment too. The cabins are clean, spacious, and offer amazing photo opportunities from every angle. It’s a fun and relaxing way to reach the top of Montjuïc, especially if you’re heading to the castle. It felt like a little adventure in the sky — perfect for families, couples, or even a group of friends. Highly recommended for anyone looking to see Barcelona from a new perspective!
Hamid A — Google review
Montjuïc Cable Car is definitely an attraction worth adding to your Barcelona itinerary. The ride itself isn’t very long, but the views from above are absolutely stunning. From the cabin you can see the city skyline, the port, Montjuïc hill, and the Mediterranean – everything looks even more beautiful from this perspective. The cabins are modern, spacious, and fully glazed, so nothing blocks the views. It’s also a perfect chance to take some amazing photos. At the top, the ride takes you directly to Montjuïc Castle, where even more impressive views await. The surrounding area offers green parks and walking paths, perfect for a relaxing stroll away from the busy city center. I especially recommend going in the afternoon or just before sunset – the light is magical and makes the whole experience even more memorable. It’s also a good idea to buy a return ticket, as the views are different on the way up and down. In short, Montjuïc Cable Car is not only a convenient way to reach the hill, but also an attraction in itself. It combines transport, incredible views, and a unique experience that you’ll remember for a long time. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to see Barcelona from a new perspective!

This is a must visit place in Barcelona. The views are awsome and the cable car ride is very relaxing. You can see the whole of Barcelona city when travelling in the cable car. The train service from parallel metro station to the cable car stop was not working so had to take the replacement bus service from outside the metro station. Got some really good views of the city from the bus. The cable car ride is quite pleasant and goes all the way to the top of montjuic hill where there is a fort. On one side of the hill you can see the Barcelona city and on the other side we can see the harbour and thr Air port .

Spectacular views. Recommend getting tickets in advance. Arrive early and don't wait in the ticket line. Go straight to the elevator line. First you have to ride the elevator up. (Six to seven people )Then you stand in line again to get on the gondola. (15 People ) Depending on how busy it is. It can take quite a while. So be patient. There is a restaurant at the end and a terrace with a great view

The Telefèric was amazing! The views over Barcelona were absolutely breathtaking — from the sea to the city skyline and all the way up to Montjuïc Castle. It’s such a unique and relaxing way to see the city from above. The ride was smooth, the cabins were clean and comfortable, and the whole experience felt very safe and well-run. Whether you're a first-time visitor or have been to Barcelona before, this is a must-do activity. Great for photos, too!

The Barcelona Maritime Museum is situated in the Drassanes Reials de Barcelona, a historic Gothic-style complex that spans over 700 years. The museum's collection features a diverse range of artifacts, models, and interactive displays that showcase the city's rich maritime heritage. Visitors can explore exhibits on trade, shipbuilding, and the evolution of Barcelona's Royal shipyards, gaining insight into how these elements contributed to the modernization of Catalonia.
I am NOT a Maritime aficionado but still had a lot of interesting and fun discoveries at this museum and would recommend it to anyone visiting Barcelona! It's well laid out, the explanations are interesting and informative, there are beautiful models on display, as well as an impressive huge replica of a galley! You'll find everything in this museum - interactive displays, 🎧 audio explanations, video, and more... I also noticed a lot of children having fun at this museum. Overall - recommend!
Valeria — Google review
What a gem of a museum. As a senior it was only €4 to enter. A spectacular building that is worth that price just to see the building. Very educational but of course that full size replica of a ship just blows you away. Read about the harsh conditions of the workers that rowed on the ship and the slave trade. Also at the front they had a display about the current situation or ships are sent to countries to meet salvaged and it is a very tragic situation also. Best part was it was not crazy busy like others in Barcelona.
Paul L — Google review
Beautiful exhibits in a great setting. Half a star less because we were told that we can also visit Santa Eulalia in the harbour and it was not there (or we could not find it - October 16)
Silviu — Google review
So I found myself at the Maritime Museum, just before closing. A little high, a little lost, and at least it looked interesting. The guards were already half-done with their shifts, leaning on the railings, lights dimming over ships that looked too proud to sleep. The place felt like a secret — arches of stone, wood gleaming under low lamps, the air thick with salt and stories. I walked slow, trying not to make noise, like the ocean might wake up if I did. There was a full-sized galley in the middle — absurdly beautiful, carved like someone still believed in forever. Outside, the night clung to the harbor, lights rippling across puddles and taxi roofs. I stood there for a minute, trying to decide if I felt more like a sailor or a ghost. Maybe both. Barcelona does that to you — even a museum visit turns into a half-dream you can’t quite explain later
Nico L — Google review
The Galley is an impressive centrepiece of the museum and there is quite a number of nice ship models. Additionally one can visit a museum sailing ship in the harbor. Overall it is a nice visit and as someone who is into ships, I liked it. But there are also a couple of things which I disliked somewhat: The English translation of the texts were overall quite poor and less informative than I hoped for. Often it boiled down to texts similar to "There are rowers on the galley, who are there to row." Well yes, duh. Not sure if this is unique to the English descriptions and whether the Spanish or Catalan versions are better, but my takeaway from them was very limited. Also for a city with a rich maritime history there was actually only quite a limited amount of things to see on only 1 floor of exhibitions. At most 1 h or 2 h if you really read everything in detail. The museum ship is also a bit underwhelming and not much info to be found there either. So overall I would say it is a nice visit and if you like ships, it is worth it. Otherwise maybe not so much.
Paul W — Google review
Very cool place, with lots to see. I love that they don't whitewash history, or make light of the very real problems with the ship industry while encouraging discussion and also inspiring awe and learning. So much history of slavery with ships and even problem that persist to current days such as large ship scrapping.
Ryan B — Google review
The Maritime Museum of Barcelona was a true discovery for me. I'm writing this review more than a year after visiting, but the impression it left still resonates. Maybe it's because I was born in a city by the sea, where ships, ports, and sailing were always part of the landscape. The exhibition was remarkable — rich with detailed ship models, ranging from historic wooden vessels to modern ones. It also featured interactive video displays and impressive large-scale exhibits, including a full-size replica of the Royal Galley, which left a lasting impact. I recommend setting aside at least 4–5 hours to fully enjoy the exhibition. There's also a cozy café inside and a souvenir shop, perfect for picking up something to remember Barcelona by.

Wrap up warm, because this place is absolutely exposed to the wind and offers no shelter other than the portable toilets. Since our last visit they have removed the beginner level circuit and replaced it with a big elastic net thing for jumping with footballs. Which is nice, but means that the first level circuit all happens about 8 metres up and is too scary for many. Staff are very nice, though, and rescue anyone who is overtaken by panic. And the system of magnetic attachments is clever and makes it very safe.

Casa Batlló, a museum in Barcelona, is an extraordinary apartment block designed by architect Antoni Gaudi. The building's facade is adorned with shards of stained glass that create a mesmerizing effect, resembling the ever-changing colors of a lake. Commissioned by textile industrialist Josep Batllo, Gaudi was tasked with creating a unique home that paid homage to Catalonian patron saint Jordi.
This was a must see experience. We loved the ambience. The audio guide was so clear , easy to understand and well organized. You can set your own pace through the house. It was glorious to see and very interesting how they added audio visual effects to the tour. We chose the gold option but I think all the options would leave you satisfied. The AI art in Gaudi's Cube and the art gallery is amazing. We loved our visit and highly recommend it to everyone visiting Barcelona.

Well-made audio guide and efficient organization at the entrance. The house is wonderful, allowing you to fully discover Gaudí’s art. The ticket is a bit expensive (€36 for the Silver route). By choosing the Silver ticket, you also get access to the terrace with its colorful chimneys. Overall, a positive visiting experience.
Sarah — Google review
Designed by the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí. Very famous for its unique architecture. It takes about two hours for the self guided tour. Advised to buy tickets in advance. If you get the gold or platinum tickets you get a better device to explore the rooms and also get couple of more areas to see which are not available to the standard ticket. Worth the money I think. 15min window for your ticket to enter. Toilet facilities available on site.
Samitha D — Google review
From the moment you arrive, the building’s facade grabs your attention – a surreal mix of bone-like balconies, mosaic tiles, and a dragon-scale roof that looks like it belongs in a fairytale. Inside, the experience becomes even more immersive. The flowing lines, natural light wells, and attention to detail in every corner show Gaudí’s genius not just as an architect, but as an artist deeply connected to nature. The audio-guided tour is excellent, enhanced with augmented reality features that help you imagine what the rooms would have looked like when the Batlló family lived there. Don’t miss the rooftop terrace – it offers beautiful views of the city and features the famous dragon-back design that symbolizes the legend of Saint George. Tips: Book your tickets in advance – it can get crowded, especially in high season. Go for the “Be the First” or “Magic Nights” experience if you're looking for a more intimate or romantic visit. Take your time. Every room and hallway hides some small detail you’ll regret rushing past. Whether you're an architecture lover, an art enthusiast, or simply curious, Casa Batlló is a must-see. It’s not just a building – it’s an experience.
Van N — Google review
Absolutely majestic! Gaudí truly outdid himself—every detail of the building is a masterpiece. We visited in the evening and were mesmerized by the underwater-themed video projections that brought the space to life. It was an immersive experience that stirred real emotion. The complimentary audio guide added so much depth, explaining the purpose behind each intricate design element. Visiting at night made it all the more magical—an unforgettable experience.
Allie — Google review
Visiting Casa Batlló was one of the highlights of my trip to Barcelona. Here you can see Gaudí’s creativity up close- the flowing shapes, colorful mosaics, his vision and talent in every detail. The house was redesigned by Antoni Gaudí in the early 1900s for the Batlló family and is a perfect example of Catalan modernism. Every detail — from the wavy staircases to the vibrant tiles — is inspired by nature. The rooftop, shaped like a dragon’s back, offers great views over Passeig de Gràcia. I booked tickets online (around €30–€35) and still waited about 20–30 minutes to get in, so I’d definitely recommend buying skip-the-line tickets or going early in the morning. Inside, the audio guide is fantastic and really helps you understand Gaudí’s vision and his use of light and ventilation in every room. It’s busy, but completely worth it. I am not big fan of this type of art or architecture however it was an unforgettable experience.
Przemyslaw K — Google review
Visited Casa Batlló and it blew me away — a true masterpiece by Antoni Gaudí. From the moment you approach the wavy, mosaic-covered façade to exploring the interior with its flowing lines, unique windows, and roof that looks like a dragon’s back, the whole experience is magical. The audio guide was intuitive and helped bring the design to life — I picked up details I’d have missed otherwise. One thing to note: it gets very busy, especially later in the day, so if you can go early or buy a skip-the-line ticket it makes a big difference. Highly recommend visiting — whether you’re architecture-obsessed or just looking for something special in Barcelona, this place delivers.

Casa Batlló is a true testament to Antoni Gaudí's genius and creativity, showcasing his ability to blend architecture with nature and art. Located in the heart of Barcelona, this modernist masterpiece stands out with its vibrant colors, organic shapes, and intricate details that draw visitors in from the moment they arrive. One of the most striking features of Casa Batlló is its façade, adorned with a mosaic of colorful tiles that resemble the scales of a dragon, a nod to the legend of Saint George. The undulating lines and whimsical shapes give the building a fluidity that feels alive, embodying Gaudí’s philosophy of design inspired by natural forms. The balconies, resembling masks, add a playful character to the exterior, inviting admiration from passersby. Inside, the experience only gets better. The open spaces and natural light create a warm, inviting atmosphere. Gaudí’s attention to detail is evident in the custom furniture, stained glass windows, and the unique layout that encourages movement and exploration. The central atrium, with its blue gradient tiles, mimics the colors of the sea and sky, further connecting the interior with the natural world. Visiting Casa Batlló is not just about observing architecture; it’s about experiencing a piece of art that tells a story. Gaudí’s innovative use of materials and structural techniques pushes the boundaries of conventional design, making Casa Batlló a must-see for anyone interested in architecture, art, or culture. It’s a celebration of creativity that continues to inspire and captivate all who enter.

Montjuïc Castle, a 17th-century fortress and former prison, is perched atop Montjuic mountain in Barcelona. It offers impressive city views from its strategic position about 173 meters above sea level. The castle's history dates back to the 11th century when it started as a single watchtower. Over time, it evolved into a fortress with defensive walls and special rooms.
Went in Oct.2025, on a weekday, short lines. Beautiful, well kept castle from 1142. You have very scenic views from this, the highest point. Start here walk the towers, see the castle, then walk down to other sites, vs walk up steep streets. It will take about 1.5 hrs yo see it all well.

It’s an enjoyable experience with a lovely atmosphere. The view from the top is fantastic, and the photos you can take from the teleferic are amazing. To get there, take the metro from Catalunya to Paral•lel, then walk through the station until you reach Parc de Montjuïc using same metro ticket, where you can catch the teleferic. You'll need to buy tickets for the teleferic at the ticket office there, and if you plan to explore inside the castle and go to the upper levels, you’ll need separate tickets for that from inside. However, if you just want to enjoy the surroundings and the castle from the outside, there’s no ticket required. Make sure to soak in the weather, atmosphere, and stunning views while you’re there!
Mohamed E — Google review
Montjuïc Castle is definitely worth a visit, especially for the breathtaking 360° views over Barcelona and the sea. The site is very well maintained and easily accessible — you can reach it by bus 150 from Plaça Espanya, by cable car, or by car. That said, as a castle, I personally expected a bit more. While the open spaces, walls, and viewpoints are beautiful, I felt it lacked historical exhibits — things like weapons, artifacts, or photographs that could bring more life to its rich past. A little more storytelling would make the experience even more engaging. Still, the location is fantastic, the views are absolutely stunning, and it’s a great spot to wander, relax, and take in the city from above. Entry is free for Gaudí Més members, with discounts available for children and seniors over 65. In short: not the most content-heavy castle, but for the views alone, it’s a must-see in Barcelona.
André L — Google review
Uhnn... The place is amazing. The views are hard to match. The fort (it's a fort, isn't it? Why do they call it a castle?) is very beautiful... but definitely not worth it the 12€ to get inside. Again, the location is amazing though. You can easily get there with the bus, 151 if I am not mistaken. When I went there during La Mercé 2024 there was an amazing comedy performance going on. Those guys were INCREDIBLE. And the organization of the event was flawless.

A must visit location if you are in Barcelona. You access the funicular to the ticket station from any metro and then take the cable car up the mountain to get best views of the city. The tickts to visit the castle was free. Wether and view from the castle terrace was amazing. There is a small food cart inside for a drinks and snacks
Mohamed S — Google review
Visited Montjuïc Castle — definitely worth it for the amazing views of Barcelona and the sea. I took a taxi up for €13 and came back down by cable car (€12.5 one way). If you just want the experience, taking the cable car either up or down is enough — the view is fantastic both ways. There’s also a small café/restaurant on top, so no worries about finding food or drinks. A great spot for sightseeing, photos, and relaxing above the city!
Phongthon T — Google review
Definitely worth a visit. The ride up in the tram is beautiful and the castle itself is impressive. There’s only an hour or two worth of stuff to look at but the whole “birth of the metric system” thing alone makes it a cool spot. Also…there’s a random naked woman statue at the top and the sign basically says “we chose this statue because why not”.
Brandon-Dean M — Google review
Nice breath taking views of the city from here. You can see Barcelona city on one side and the airport and the harbour on the other side. I visited this place using the cable car which was equally good.

Parc del Laberint d'Horta is a neoclassical park in Barcelona, featuring an 18th-century garden, a 19th-century romantic garden, and a famous hedge maze. Nestled within the historic Desvalls estate, this elegant green space offers visitors a glimpse into regal history and architecture. The meticulously landscaped gardens are adorned with sculptures of Greek gods and goddesses.
I love this place. It's a wonderful break from the busyness of Barcelona. I visited 2 years ago and my only disappointment this visit was that they are in process of rebuilding the labyrinth. Despite the proximity of its neighbors it's still very tranquil and relaxing. I highly recommend it if you need a break.
Michael K — Google review
This park offers a delightful escape filled with winding paths and lush greenery, making it a perfect outing for families, especially those with kids. The maze is a big hit, encouraging playful exploration and sparking the imagination of little ones as they weave through the tall hedges. It’s not just about the maze; the whole area is well-maintained, providing plenty of space for picnics and relaxation, while the beautiful gardens add to the charm of the experience. Parents will appreciate the safe environment, allowing children to roam freely as they burn off some energy. The serene atmosphere combined with the vibrant colors of the plants creates a refreshing break from the hustle and bustle of the city. Overall, it’s a lovely place that fosters both fun and tranquility for visitors of all ages.

If you want to go to a less crowded park than the ciutadella park, this one is the right one. It's a small, labyrinth designed park that is a little bit far from the center of Barcelona but worth a visit.
Wanderfly T — Google review
Visited this park today & am still absolutely apalled at its condition & the attitude of the workers. Unfortunately as we got there, they told us the labyrnith was under renovation, but since we travelled over half an hour to get there we thought we could still enjoy the rest of the park, & paid the 2.23eu entry. What a mistake; the whole park was under construction, either closed off or impacted by the noise of drills & yelling workers - it shouldn't even be open, let alone charging people! I'm not even sure with the full labyrinth there that it'd be worth it, given how small the plot for it is. The park is generally poorly maintained; I'm not sure a garden designer has stepped foot in the place. It looks like they grabbed some green plants & slapped them on some soil, & haven't bothered to clean or maintain it since. There's graffitti, & animal poop, & algae all over the water, & the statues & buildings could all do with a power wash; the water features don't even seem to be working properly. It has to be the worst park/garden I've ever been to, & to charge for it is a crime. We walked around for half an hour before we went back to ask for a refund. The short bald man & old heavy lady there made no attempt to communicate with us, & just kept pointing at signs in Spanish. I showed him photos of how disgusting the park was, & it he defended it. When my partner even tried to use written translations on his phone, this guy actually got out of his little booth & tried to physically threaten my partner, despite being two heads shorter than him. Those running this park should be ashamed of themselves. To those considering visiting, save yourself the trouble & avoid it!

We stumbled upon this on our first day after we arrived in Barcelona. It is chargeable about €2.00pp apart from Wednesdays and Saturdays I believe. Absolutely stunning buildings and fountains dating back to 1800s. I do have to say we thought there was a maze and waterfall but the maze is being renovated and the waterfall has dried up as there has been a drought for a long time now but worse in recent months :( Apart from that a beautiful place to take a lovely stroll in nature 🌿🪷🦋
Rebecca D — Google review
The park is good overall but the specific area is under construction. Also a good picnic spot with benches and tables . A little playground with slides for kids. If you are coming on car Parking is available. With the price of tickets worth it. Palau del marqués d'Alfarras is also along the park it's free but only open on Wednesday and Sunday. You need to take an online appointment before visiting. I hope it helpful.😊

Good place to stroll for individuals and families to take a breather and get away from the noise from central Barcelona. Next to Campus Mundet - Universitat de Barcelona. Some gardens and infrastructure inside are still under construction and are closed during the weekends. Public toilets are clean, well maintained and open during weekends. Entrance fee is about €2 per person and can be paid at the gate entrance. Staff are courteous and friendly.

This park offers a peaceful escape from city hustle with its stunning neoclassical garden, maze, fountains, and charming sculptures. The labyrinth itself is the main highlight! 🌀 Walking through the maze was so much fun, and reaching the center felt like a mini-adventure. Perfect for families, couples, or anyone looking for a unique experience. Apart from the maze, the park is beautiful and have ponds—making it an ideal spot for a relaxing stroll or a quiet picnic. 🦆🌿 📌 Things to Note: ✅ Entry is free on Sundays & Wednesdays (otherwise, there’s a small fee) ✅ Less crowded compared to other tourist spots ✅ Great for photography 📸✨ ✅ Bring some snacks & water for a relaxed visit If you're looking for a peaceful retreat with a touch of adventure, this park is a must-visit in Barcelona! 🌿🏛️ Would definitely go back! 😊

Gaudí Experiència is a museum dedicated to the renowned Spanish modernist architect, offering interactive exhibits and an immersive 4-D movie experience. The virtual ride takes visitors on a journey through Barcelona, showcasing Gaudí's architectural masterpieces in a unique and entertaining way. Suitable for children aged 6 and above, this attraction provides an engaging exploration of Gaudí's work.
⭐ 5/5 The Gaudí Experiencia was absolutely amazing! This tour exceeded all expectations. The entire area was unbelievable — the architecture, the design, and the creativity behind every structure were truly awe-inspiring. It gave us a much deeper appreciation for Gaudí’s genius and his unique approach to blending art, nature, and engineering. The immersive exhibits and interactive elements were both engaging and educational, making it enjoyable for all ages. We especially appreciated how the experience brought Gaudí’s vision to life in a way that was easy to understand, even for those who aren’t architecture experts. I highly recommend this to anyone visiting Barcelona. Make sure to take the guided tour for the full experience — it adds so much value and insight that you simply can’t get on your own. You won’t regret it!

Nice educational 4D movie for all ages that helps you understand Gaudi’s inspirations and works. We were only 6 people in the movie room. I am sure there would be more people if the price would be lower. Interactive walls were not well communicated as well. It is also a nice concept store with screens and miniatures. Again, more people would enter the store for shopping if the movie price is better positioned and mentioned outside the starting times with an LED screen.
Serkan E — Google review
We only went here because we couldn’t get tickets for Basilica or Park Guell but actually it was great. I’m not keen on funfair rides so could have done without the 4D tossing about but that’s just me. What I did enjoy was having context for Gaudi’s creativity, seeing how he got inspiration from trees and mountains and dragons. It felt like a real insight into his creative process which made everything else we saw more interesting.

Gaudí Experiència is really cool because it feels like a mix of a museum and a shop. You can learn about Gaudí’s life, see his ideas come to life in the 4D cinema, and then browse through tons of souvenirs, books, and decorations inspired by his work. It’s a fun place to stop by if you want to understand Gaudí a bit better and also take something unique home from Barcelona.

Such a beautiful venue, rich in history and architectural brilliance! We did the guided tour, which made the experience so much better. This is such a beautiful place, and the music sounds magnificent! I look forward to watching a show here one day soon, where I can truly appreciate the magic that this place has to offer! Highly recommended! 😀

This is an extraordinary building. Set in the Gothic water. It has an entry in one of the side streets. It has a lovely exterior with some amazing sculptures, but this is only a small introduction to the extraordinary interior. The acoustics which are wonderful are benefited by the entire ceiling and much the walls being tiled. The back of the stage is also tiled with extraordinary torsos of women coming out of the wall, playing instruments and representing the arts. The two sculptures on either side of the perineum are amazing but the highlight is the multicolored lead light glass center over the auditorium. Its vibrant color and intricacy is astounding. We were fortunate enough to get tickets to see a pianist and it was a wonderful concert. There is a cloak room to the left of the main stairs in a newer section of the Theatre. The men’s bathrooms are downstairs, and the female facilities are upstairs. Definitely worth making the effort to visit this extraordinary building.
G M — Google review
Absolutely mind blowing and stellar venue for such a small footprint. We did the tour and then also went to see a concert the following night (ABBA) and it was absolutely awesome. Other than small/old chairs, this venue is outstanding. The acoustics and art covering literally every surface make it an amazing audio and visual experience. The history behind it and the tour is also well worth the ~$15-$20. (Like apparently every museum or tourist site in Spain, be advised that the tech / app / audio guide is finicky and deeply not intuitive, if it works at all.)

Incredibly beautiful, ostentatious, ornate concert hall. I can't say I've ever been anywhere quite like it. We did the audio guided tour - it costs 22€, which is pretty steep, especially since the tour only takes 50 minutes and you have to take your own headphones. I'd still recommend it though, because the palau is small but not to be missed, and the audio guide is well written and produced with lots of interesting history about the venue, its architecture and interior design.

A beautiful space for musical performances. The sculptured walls, the ceiling... It's hard to look at the artists when there's so much more to see! My only issue was the tiny amount of space in the side boxes - my knees were cramped against the wall the whole time.

El Bosc de Les Fades is a whimsical bar located in Barcelona, offering an eclectic decor and an artificial forest ambiance. The cozy woodland and enchanted forest themed bar serves local and global eats along with a variety of drinks including delicious sweet and strong sangria. The interior is dimly lit, creating a magical atmosphere filled with fantasy elements such as trees, gnomes, and mythological creatures.
Tucked away in a little back alley, this place has such cool ambiance! The food was reasonably priced for the area and very good. They don't do table service, so you order at the bar. My only complaint was that they had forgotten one of our dishes but the staff was pleasant and quickly made sure the error was fixed.

My parents had been to the fairy bar years ago and on a recent trip to Barcelona my first time they were eager to find it and show me inside , situated off las rambla near the wax museum, hidden in the corner a lil gem , a cute and quirky bar with whimsical decor , they had a drink and I looked around
Georgia R — Google review
An original place for food and drinks that imitates the forest and has a soothing effect. If you're in the area, definitely come and experience this, but there are some downsides. Quite crowded, waiting in line for drinks and food because it is self-service and ignorance of it for the guests (only after waiting 10 minutes for service did I realize that you order on a sledge and you carry the drinks to the table yourself, while they bring the food).

El Bosc de les Fades is like stepping into a fairytale. This bar feels like a secret enchanted forest that transports you to another world. The atmosphere is absolutely magical, perfect for escaping the city buzz or impressing out-of-town friends. The drinks are reasonably priced, and while it’s more about the experience than the cocktails, everything we tried was tasty and well made. It can get busy, especially in the evenings, but that only adds to the mysterious, lively vibe. It’s a must-visit if you’re in Barcelona and want something totally unique. Highly recommend for anyone who loves immersive spaces and a bit of fantasy with their drink!

This place is so beautiful and has a very calming energy. However, for being so well put together the service and drink options are underwhelming. We came on a saturday around 12:30,,,,it was not too busy and maybe that was the reason for the crabby bartenders? They just made it seem like we were a nuisance. The drink menu was a carbon copy of any regular bar. And charging 10€ for that is extensive. There’s so much potential to create interesting and delicious themed drinks,,,with such a magical atmosphere, why wouldn’t you? Cool place to take pictures and could be really amazing with an cocktail menu upgrade,,

What a lovely and attentive staff, and fantastic candies. When my son and I came in today, we were given samples to try, and freshly made marshmallow. We told them that we’re headed back to NYC tomorrow and they wrapped our lollipops individually, and, just because they’re as sweet as their treats, they gave my son an extra bag of candy. Architectural Buildings
La Pedrera - Casa Milà, also known as "The Stone Quarry," is a remarkable building designed by Gaudi during his Catalan art nouveau period. The structure features a quarry-like facade and hosts various exhibitions and concerts. This luxurious apartment building, inspired by nature's spontaneous forms, is now a museum owned by a local bank. It offers numerous exhibition rooms and a concert hall, making it a unique place to visit in Barcelona.
The day before I went to Casa Batlló and that place truly sets the standards high maybe 7 stars, nevertheless the visit to La Pedrera IS certainly a serious 5 considering how well narrated the audio/video guide is and how extremely well kept the building is. At the time of my visit to the elevator was off for a couple of hours for maintenance, I was given the option to come by a little later or use the stairs for the first couple of floors; I recommend highly the stairs because it shows you the kind of attention to detail that went into the design of this marvelous building. I took my time walking up the stairs just enjoying otherwise common things like the handrails and wall surface finishes all the while commenting "if this are the service stairs how could the rest of the building be"... Soon you reach the first stop on the tour and you discover why Gaudí considered this his favorite family house. From little things usually overlooked but important as the ventilation to the design for the natural illumination of every apartment, this place is a Marvel of design ideas everyone can borrow from to make your next home better since Antonio Gaudí's design relied on ingenuity more than expense as one discovers little by little from room to room. There's a store within the building that is a museum on to itself, the items on it take you back to the Art Nouveau period, from elegant glassware and dining sets to beautiful wood miniatures of some of Gaudí's furniture concepts (quite expensive unless you considere they are all perfect replicas all the way to the wooden joinery - these are not toys they the perfect gift for any architect or industrial designer). I visited La Pedrera on a Sunday of September and although the entrance was obviously crowded, once inside the building it did not feel crowded at all; I attribute this to the well set pace of the tablet guides, exactly the same as it was at the Casa Batlló tour. As an Industrial Designer I believe what I enjoyed the most what's the underside of the roof top, it's a part of a building that's usually not shown but Gaudí expressed his creativity even on purely functional elements like those 231 different arches that you get to enjoy from the inside whilst discovering details of several famous buildings thru beautifully made models with individual narrations explaining the constructions for each. Just that space is worth the price of admission for anybody interested in Great Design, but getting to see the city from the rooftop full of those giant and so organic chimneys is the icing on the cake. On any day 1 can see all the way to the mountains and get excellent shots giant chimneys all around you. A must see for any visitor of Barcelona, and a life experience to any designer or art lover. I plan on visiting again and again every time I get a chance to visit this amazing design city of Barcelona.

Self guide. Interesting information in the self guide headphones. There was additional information on QR scans, but some were very difficult in the inside of the rooftop, if not impossible to scan due to the low light. Still, very enjoyable. Rooftop views were good, but instead of the black wired fences, they used glass fencing, the views and photos would be just amazing.

Casa Milà, also known as La Pedrera, is absolutely stunning! Gaudí’s creativity and attention to detail are on full display here — from the flowing stone façade to the beautifully designed interiors and the surreal rooftop with its sculptural chimneys. The audio guide was excellent and really helped me understand the architectural innovations and history behind the building. The rooftop views of Barcelona are breathtaking, especially at sunset. Everything was well organized and staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely one of the must-see Gaudí masterpieces in Barcelona — an unforgettable experience!

Fascinating place if you appreciate design and architecture. I booked my ticket online with fast entry option. You can take a souvenir photo towards the end of the visit at one of the beautifully decorated windows overlooking the street (paid & worth it).

Cute designs! The experience is much different from the view on YouTube. I ended up buying a book to learn more about all of his buildings. To the surprise of the ignorant me 😶 Catalans respect time much more than French and Italian. Unlike the Louvre or Palazzo Pitti, reservation time slots are very honored. We missed ours and we had to wait for another hour for an empty spot. I wished Antoni designed something for the rain though, so that residents and tourists could enjoy their time when it's pouring 😄 waiting for the rain to stop at the moment. Best time for photos

Historical & Iconic & Landmark Building This is one of the most iconic Building done by Gaudi. If not the MOST iconic. I visited it a few times and always enjoy it. What is amazing is you can visit it ten times and each time you will discover something new. The view from the roof top are also amazing! Highly recommended visit, by us.

Excellent experience. Glad we took the elevator to the almost top floor. The guide will fill you in on what I mean. Learned another about the history and culture of the building. Night tour so seeing the skyline was great on a clear night. 17-10-25

It’s one of those places being packed with tourists but one just has to visit. Beautiful and cozy apartment on the top floor, and then a museum on the attic, topped by a stunning terrace. Worth visiting especially in order to pay tribute to Gaudi.

The Cathedral of Barcelona, also known as the Cathedral of the Holy Cross and Saint Eulalia or La Seu Cathedral, is an impressive Gothic structure located in the Gothic Quarter. It features pointed archways, ribbed vaults, and gargoyles on the roof. The cathedral's 14th-century cloister is home to 13 geese symbolizing the years of Saint Eulalia's life.
Came here in the afternoon on a Sunday. There was no line up so no need to buy tickets ahead. The Cathedral was absolutely beautiful. The architecture, history, and the amount of detail everywhere was astounding. Pictures do not do this place justice. Bring a euro to light a prayer candle. There was some cute geese inside as well. We paid extra for the rooftop experience. It was okay, but in hindsight I would've just stuck to the main floor. Highly recommend putting this place on your visit to Barcelona, it will not disappoint. So far this is my favorite place here.

We hadn't planned to visit the cathedral but as there as no queue we bought a ticket and went in and are we glad we did! The roof top view was amazing. The cathedral itself is impressive too but the rooftop view stole the show. Would recommend a visit

If you are visiting Barcelona, this is definitely a must! The outside of the Sagrada Família is huge and very detailed. You can take some really great pictures and videos if you find the right angles. We were part of a private tour with only 9 people including us, and our tour guide did a wonderful job explaining the history and process behind building the cathedral, along with the symbolism of certain parts of the building. I heavily recommend you also pay for a tour as well, because it was interesting learning about the cathedral. The inside of the cathedral was even more jaw-dropping than the outside, as the colored window panes casted beautiful rainbow all around the interior. The architecture and structure of the cathedral was so complex and impressive and I definitely recommend you take time to just look around at your surroundings and see everything for yourself. There is also a museum and a gift shop you can visit at the end, and I bought two pencils, a mini replica of a colored window pane, and a pin to add to my back pack. You should definitely come here if you want to be in awe!

A beautiful exterior. The whole area ( called the gothic region) had amazing buildings. We don’t go inside ( there is a €16 entry fee) but walked around the whole area. There were street performers and interesting shops. A place you must see if in Barcelona’s.

We really enjoyed our impromptu visit to the cathedral. Being up on the roof was great! Amazing views...we could see the whole of Montjuic from the roof of the cathedral, out to the beach area and all across the city. There was also a VR experience as part of visit...that was very cool. We were also fortunate enough the be there at the time of the festival of corpus christi ...it was fab to be able to join in part of the open air mass and then watch the parade that happened through the city. Amazing to see how another culture celebrate faith and community

Visited the Barcelona Cathedral and had a great experience. We got tickets on the spot—super easy—and they open around 9:30 a.m., which is perfect to beat the crowd. Tip: The view from the rooftop is absolutely worth it, so definitely make sure you go up there. A must-visit when in Barcelona! Ratings: ⛪ Architecture & Experience: 5/5 🛎 Accessibility & Organisation: 4.5/5 💸 Value for Money: 4.5/5 Overall: 4.5/5 – Stunning cathedral with an incredible rooftop view.

I LOVED this cathedral. It's classic Gothic style, versus Sagrada that's very artsy and new age/different IMO. It wasn't busy at all, and I went on a Saturday afternoon. The basic ticket includes the rooftop visit. Plus, the outdoor area is so beautiful. Definitely take a peek when you're here!

Beautiful dominant cathedral. In the afternoon it is beautifully illuminated by the sun's rays. The square is full of people, which is something to be expected in front of this beautiful building. We had not bought tickets, we came to the cathedral by chance. We returned again on Saturday and there were also antique stalls in front of the cathedral.

Nestled at the southern tip of La Rambla in Barcelona, the Columbus Monument, or Monument a Colom, is an impressive tribute to Christopher Columbus and his historic journey to the Americas. Erected in 1888 for the Universal Exposition, this ornate Corinthian column reaches a height of 60 meters (197 feet) and features a striking bronze statue of Columbus himself, gesturing towards the sea as if guiding future explorers.
Review of the Columbus Monument (Barcelona, Spain) Overview: Standing proudly at the lower end of La Rambla, where the famous boulevard meets the sea, the Columbus Monument (Monument a Colom) is one of Barcelona’s most recognizable landmarks. Erected for the 1888 Barcelona Universal Exposition, this 60-meter (197-foot) tall tribute to Christopher Columbus points toward the New World—though with some historical irony, as he actually sailed from southern Spain, not Barcelona. Highlights & Things to Do: ✅ Statue & Column – The bronze statue of Columbus stands atop a towering Corinthian column, surrounded by intricate reliefs depicting his voyages. ✅ Viewing Platform – A small elevator inside the column takes visitors up to a 360° observation deck with stunning views of the harbor, La Rambla, and Montjuïc. ✅ Historical Significance – The monument symbolizes Spain’s Age of Exploration, though modern perspectives on Columbus’ legacy add complexity. ✅ Port Vell Gateway – The monument marks the entrance to Barcelona’s waterfront, making it a natural stop before exploring Port Vell, Maremagnum, or Barceloneta Beach. Verdict: ⭐ 4.0/5 – The Columbus Monument is worth a quick visit for the views and historical significance, though it’s more of a brief stop than a major attraction. Tips: Visit early in the day to avoid crowds. Combine it with a stroll along Port Vell or a seafood lunch in Barceloneta. If short on time, admiring it from the outside is enough.

As with all things in Barcelona, beautiful architecture and detail in the buildings and monument. This is by the sea front at the harbour. We didn't go up the monument as we were heading out on a boat trip around the coastline and harbour, which was only a few yards away. There are lots of beautiful buildings in the area too.

This massive tribute to Colombus is worth checking out. Lots of detailed panels, lions and sculptures are incorporated into this monument. Time of day you visit will affect angle at which you can capture the front of Columbus. Lots of other things to see within walking distance of the monument as well.

The Museum of Natural Sciences of Barcelona, also known as the Museu Bleu, is located in the Diagonal Mar district. It offers an immersive journey through the evolution of Earth and its diverse species, including wildlife, humans, plants, and minerals. The museum utilizes technology to create a captivating experience that spans time and space, showcasing life's development on Earth with a focus on Catalonia.
FANTASTIC MUSEUM! A very comprehensive museum with a lot of animal exhibits and an explanation of the origin and evolution of the planet Earth itself. There is also an interactive part that is also interesting and this museum is very suitable for children as well as for adults. When we were there on a Sunday at the beginning of August, the entrance was completely free, and on the website of the museum, otherwise, the price of the ticket is really free. If you have a few days in Barcelona I think you should visit this place!

This museum is a hidden gem that offers a fascinating glimpse into the natural world. The variety of exhibits is impressive, ranging from intricate displays of local wildlife to captivating prehistoric artifacts. Each section of the museum is thoughtfully curated, and it's evident that a lot of care went into presenting the information in an engaging manner. Families will appreciate the interactive features that allow both kids and adults to learn through hands-on experiences. While the space can get crowded on weekends, the atmosphere remains vibrant and lively, making it a welcoming place to explore. There are plenty of informative guides and friendly staff who are ready to help with any questions. The layout is user-friendly, ensuring that you can navigate the exhibits seamlessly. Overall, it’s a great spot for anyone interested in understanding more about the planet’s diverse ecosystems and history.

It worths the while visit if you have small kids. First of all, it’s close to a metro and tram station. The area is newly built so everything is in big scale: metro station, sidewalks, etc. Big entrance where you can leave your umbrella. Free entry for kids, as an adult I think I paid 2,5€ for the Permanent exposition. The tickets cost the same if you buy them online but no need to. Space to leave your stuff on the first floor. Space to sit and eat (with vending machines or bringing your own food) on the first floor too. Bathrooms have small toilets for the little ones. Gift shop on the first floor. The entrance has an impressive installation of the Earth. Then you see some paleontology and geology findings, then it’s the exposition of the animals, then the exposition of the fungus, precious stones, and some more. You’ll need 2 full hours for the Permanent collection. Helpful stuff. Accessibility for all people.

The best well spending 6 euros in Barcelona. Amazing museum, clean and super functional with a tremendous number of exhibits and lots of mini video clips in order to understand Planet Earth. The only disadvantage was that there was some low temperature there (maybe in order to preserve the fossils). So maybe wear s shirt instead of a T-shirt

Hidden gem. Very fun park. There are 4 playgrounds. The train train only opens on Sunday and festivals from 10:30 to 13:30.

Quiet and pretty park but it's highly underdeveloped. The walk paths are non-existent and the navigation signs arent very great. The dining tables are great for an outdoor picnic with a nice view of the city. The train runs only on Sundays from 10:30 to 1:30. In some inner parts of the park, our phones lost reception. Luckily we had walkie-talkies with us. Overall, it's a nice quiet place but it would be much better if the City developed the park and the walk paths more.

There are no horses, no café, no toilets, and very difficult terrain for baby trolley. For adults, the walking path might be OK. It is not recommended. Have a plan B if you decide to visit this park.

Really good, an absolute must in the city the full tour takes 2hours and 30 minutes and is totally worth it. Would prefer to have an app instead of the radio with the earphones. The station Barcelonita wasn’t served due to the circulation requirements. In short, it was quite good to discover the city this way
Sana E — Google review
Great way to see Barcelona. They provide ear buds so you can listen to the commentary in your language. Would have been 5 stars but the drop off to Park Guell could be closer. We had to walk 3-4 blocks before walking up .5mile incline. The bus would not have made it up the incline but surely could have dropped us much closer to the incline street.
Nicole P — Google review
Great idea but the commentary was out of sync so we missed most of the information on attractions. This made the tour hard work.
Gary J — Google review
This review is based on 1st week of April so not height of holiday season. Good bus, not all the info matched with the sites. They seem to be triggered even if you’ve had to stop at traffic lights. Good range of stops doing the red and blue line in one day is a whopping 4 hours. Beware if you get off you may have to wait quite a long time to get back on even in not so popular spots. A popular tour for the cruise ships too. If you get off pre booking at some of the attractions is advised to skip the queues. We’d recommend it over more than one day to get to the tourist hot spots, or if you’ve got very little time and want a quick tour.

My wife and I booked a 24 hour hop on hop off tour bus ticket in Barcelona. For those whose first time it is visiting the city, this is a GREAT way to learn your way around, sightsee and see some of Barcelona's historic, iconic landmarks. Once you arrive at the bus stop you can pick which route you want to take the Blue or the Red. My wife and I opted to take the Blue route because we wanted to see the Casa Batllo Gaudi, the beautiful Sagrada Familia cathedral and the stadium. We loved the flexibility this tour offers to get off at certain stops and walk around on your own and then rejoin the bus tour whenever you like between 10am and 7pm. Also, the ticket gives you the ability to also check out the red tour stops...together offering you 15+ stops across the city. You are given a map so you have an idea of all the stops on the tour and headphones that you can use to hear about the rich history of the city and details about the different landmarks. A major plus is that the USB charging stations are available at each seat. This was my first time on a city bus tour.....and I would definitely book one again.

The best way to get around Barcelona. Super easy and you see pretty much everything there is to see! You can pay online or when you get on the bus. There is a red route and blue route. Red route takes the more southern part of the city and blue route takes you to the more northern part of the city. You can buy a day ticket or two day ticket. You can get on and off at anytime. You are given headphones where you can listen to information about the city and they had many different languages so a lot of people can learn about Barcelona.

I booked via viator and spent $37 for 48 hour busturistic pass. If it's your 1st time in Barcelona this is a MUST. You're gonna see the City lay out, infrastructure, and attractions in 2 rides - the red route that goes to Plaza de Espanya, and the blue route that goes to Park Guell and the beach area. Main terminal is located at Plaza de Catalunya. They provide complete map of stops, and tour earphones upon boarding. The map is also available online. The very end and front of top seating has a shade, and it is the best spot on warm sunny days. The bottom seating has a cold air blowing on selected seats. Sagrada Familia and Casa Batllo will be on the left hand side when riding a blue route. Casa Mila will be on the right hand side when riding a red route. Sometimes the driver stops to use the bathroom or to switch drivers. I really enjoyed riding the bus with helpful staff. If you want a glimpse of the whole city in just 2 rides, ride the Busturistic!!!

Exploring Barcelona has never been easier or more enjoyable than with the Barcelona City Tour Hop On Hop Off service. This fantastic option allows families, especially kids, to experience the vibrant streets from an elevated perspective that public transport simply can't offer. With convenient stops throughout the city, you can hop off to explore at your leisure and then hop back on when you're ready to continue your adventure. The tour features two scenic routes packed with sights and attractions, providing a comprehensive overview of this beautiful city.
We booked the 48 hour option and found it to be very good value. It really encompasses most of city’s highlights the commentary is very interesting. The buses were very clean and the staff were great. The routes were great and the wait times were very short - much less than in some other cities where we’ve used this tour. I wish there had been a 72 hour option.

Horrible guide as we tried to get on a orange bus. He said you bought ticket fir the green line. You have to walk there. 2 hours later we found a green line. The headset won't take the plug. I can't hear the audio
Jane T — Google review
Despite the convenience and coverage of the bus tour which does a good job of taking tourists to key attractions around the city, our overall experience was deeply affected by the behavior of the staff on board. Also their audio doesn’t work in some of the seats. On one bus, the staff member appeared to be under the influence of something. His behavior was erratic and unsettling, which made us feel uncomfortable and unsure about the professionalism of the service. On another bus, a female staff member was shockingly rude to us at the end of the ride. What made the situation even more disturbing was that she was noticeably polite and friendly to white passengers, while treating us with hostility. Her attitude felt discriminatory, and we couldn’t help but feel that we were being singled out based on race. This kind of behavior is unacceptable especially from a company that caters to international tourists. We expected a welcoming and respectful environment, not one where we felt judged and mistreated. The experience left us upset and disappointed, and it cast a shadow over what should have been an enjoyable journey. We hope the tour operator takes this seriously and ensures that all staff are trained to treat every guest with equal respect and professionalism.

Standard hop on hop off tour. There are two routes to choose from. Each route takes approximately 2 hours per loop. Gives a good overview of the city as well as some history. Always nice to the ability to get off and walk around an area and then get back on. Our guide on the bus was friendly, she kept making trips upstairs to get accurate counts. Hits all the popular tourist destinations.

The Barcelona City Tour Hop-On Hop-Off bus is a convenient way to get a broad overview of the city. We did both the green and red lines, and the audio shared a nice mix of highlights, especially about Barcelona’s architecture and some key moments in its history. It’s a good option if you want a quick sense of the city’s layout and main attractions. That said, the experience had a few hiccups. The buses were crowded, and on our first ride all the outdoor top seats were taken. We sat inside on a 90-degree day and unfortunately, the AC wasn’t working. The staff who sold us our 48-hour tickets weren’t particularly friendly or helpful — even when we asked simple questions like how to plug in our headphones. At times, instead of commentary, the audio just played music, and it would’ve been nice if they kept sharing information about what we were passing. Overall, for the price, it’s a reasonably good way to see Barcelona’s main sights — just be prepared for crowds and try to snag a top-deck seat!
Cathi L — Google review
The hop-on hop-off tour in Barcelona was a great way to see the city’s main attractions and get an overview of what it has to offer. It was convenient and easy to use, and we really appreciated being able to sit back and enjoy the ride while spotting landmarks. However, the bus spent too much time at long stops, which really slowed things down. After a while, the whole crew — from kids to grown-ups — got a bit bored waiting instead of moving along. Overall, it’s a good experience for sightseeing, but it could definitely be improved with shorter stop times to keep the flow more engaging.
Jim F — Google review
I had to drive through heavy rain and flooding during my trip, which made the experience quite stressful. It would have been more enjoyable if the English voice guidance in the app had been clearer and easier to understand. Improving the voice quality would really help users in difficult driving conditions.

Frustrating and Poorly Managed Experience – Tuesday, 12th August Our experience with City Tour Barcelona was disappointing from the very beginning. Within just 10 minutes of boarding, the bus broke down at a junction, performing multiple emergency stops as the engine repeatedly overheated and the vehicle began rolling backwards. We were eventually transferred to another passing City Tour bus—but it too had to stop to collect passengers from yet another broken-down bus. We immediately contacted customer service to request a ticket cancellation, but were told we had to submit a complaint via email and wait up to two days for a response. With no alternative offered, we had no choice but to continue the journey. Unfortunately, the problems didn’t stop there. Throughout the day, several audio guide points didn’t work, and in one seat the entire audio unit was missing. I switched seats four times and still couldn’t find a working one. On top of that, multiple seat belts wouldn’t pull across properly, and the condition of the bus overall was outdated and poorly maintained. Staff on board admitted these weren’t isolated issues and even encouraged us to submit a complaint, noting that the company had ongoing problems. To make matters worse, our planned stop at Avenida Diagonal—clearly listed on the route map and shown on the digital display—was skipped without warning. When we asked, staff informed us it had been removed from the route, though no updates had been made to reflect this. Despite all of these issues—including safety concerns and poor service—we were told we were not eligible for a refund because we completed the journey and “no one else had complained.” When we stopped at Sagrada Família, I spoke with other families who were considering joining the tour. After hearing our experience, they decided to go with another (better-known) tour company. They thanked us for the honest feedback—and it’s a reminder that word of mouth can have real impact. While we may not get our money back, I hope this review helps others avoid making the same mistake. I would not recommend City Tour Barcelona and it ruined our last day of our holiday.

The Wax Museum souvenirs and tickets shop, located in a beautiful old building in La Rambla, has recently undergone renovations. It offers a variety of souvenirs and keepsakes, including replicas of famous historical Spanish figures. In addition to purchasing museum tickets, visitors can also connect with the Fairy Forest and explore wax figures at this charming shop. It's advisable to reserve tickets online in advance for a hassle-free visit.
Not only wax museum, but full of interaction. Very nice place to visit with kids and teens.

We have visited more museums like this, but this wax Museum was the best. Before we went there we check ticket prices online. Was different, higher as in the place directly in Museum. It was disappointment. On the other side, museum is great. I recomand to visit it.

The Picasso Museum in Barcelona is a must-visit for art enthusiasts. Housed in five interconnected medieval-era palaces, the museum boasts an extensive collection of over 4,000 works by the influential Spanish cubist. Visitors can trace the artistic development of Picasso through his early sketches and paintings, including pieces from his Blue Period and the remarkable series inspired by Velazquez's masterpiece, Las Meninas.
Very good museum. Not many visitors, spacious halls, very well made audio guide, I recommend it. I have not seen Picasso's youth works before, they are amazing, he was a child prodigy. It is interesting to trace Picasso's development as an artist and changes in his work.
Olga I — Google review
We visited the Picasso Museum in Barcelona hoping to dive deeper into the life, influences, and artistic journey of this endlessly creative artist. Having previously visited the Picasso museums in Paris (the largest collection worldwide) and Málaga (his birthplace), we were excited to explore Barcelona’s museum - the very first dedicated to Picasso and the only one opened during his lifetime. The location is great: nestled in the heart of the Gothic Quarter, with its maze of medieval streets and charming atmosphere. The museum itself is a beautiful blend of history and modernity, recently renovated but still housed in stunning medieval buildings, complete with magnificent staircases, stone walls, and ornate facades. Honestly, the architecture alone is worth the visit... The collection is well-organized and thoughtfully curated. We loved discovering some of Picasso’s very early works, including a breathtaking First Communion painting - incredibly impressive considering he painted it at just 15. The transition through his different periods is clearly displayed, from his first portraits to the Blue Period and the early explorations of Cubism. The collection is not overwhelmingly large, which in my opinion is a plus (you can comfortably see everything in about two hours without feeling rushed). Personally, I found the Velázquez-inspired “Las Meninas” variations absolutely fascinating, especially the large-format piece - a true highlight of the visit. I also appreciated the series of works inspired by his time in Paris, a recurring theme that shows the lasting influence of Cubism on his style. We were also lucky to catch a temporary exhibition dedicated to Francoise Gilot (French painter, long term partner of Picasso, and mother of Claude and Paloma Picasso) with some of her own art on display (drawings, watercolors and a few ceramics), as well as pieces connected to Claude Picasso and the family, a touching and insightful addition to the experience. Overall, this museum is well worth visiting, whether for its architecture, its intimate but rich collection, or the chance to gain a clearer understanding of Picasso’s early work and evolving artistic phases. A must if you want to appreciate not just the art, but also the context and influences that shaped this iconic figure.

Great art and story telling. Well presented. Clean and well maintained facilities. Staff are all courteous and well informed. You can buy tickets from 9AM to 2PM if you want to visit on the same day, same hours. After that time tickets normally are sold out. It's recommended to get the tour with the audio version to appreciate the experience more.
Jord S — Google review
I absolutely loved Picasso. And if I may dare to say this, I loved it more than Prado! It was very easy to understand Picasso's progression of thought and art work as he grew in life. His works evolve from simple sketches to advance arts and there is certainly a reflection of his life's events impacting his art works. The audio guide worked well, though I really wish audio guides would somehow simply start narrating based on the position we are in...instead of us trying to locate which painting the audio guide was referring to. Anyhow, the audio guides worked well...and we're actually quite interesting.
Zainab K — Google review
Great museum. Lovely experience. It is in the gothic quarter, located across 4 or 5 old buildings which is lovely and unique in itself! It's is well laid out and easy to see everything. There are loads of cafes and restaurants around the area too to enjoy before or after
Helen R — Google review
You need to buy your tickets in advance, a few days! This is getting full very quickly and you may miss the opportunity to visit it. We went twice before getting access and then swing time at the opening time (we were the first in line!). Now, I do have mix feelings for this museum… not all painting are available, it’s a great way to know more about Pablo’s life, his family and the way his life experience changed the way of painting and creating art. Not a big place, but take the time to enjoy it (get an audio guide system).
David K — Google review
This experience turned out to be more engaging than I expected. Normally I lean toward fine arts rather than contemporary styles, but Picasso’s reinterpretation of Velázquez’s Las Meninas truly captured me. The cubist version breaks down the familiar scene into fragments of geometry and colour, yet somehow keeps the solemn presence of Velázquez’s original. I was also moved by drawings of his family — Françoise Gilot, who worth-mentioning is also a talented artist, and their two children. They revealed a tender side of him. Those simple, almost spontaneous lines conveyed warmth and domestic peace. There is also vast collection in this museum of his earlier, more classical and impressionistic works that reminded me how technically gifted he was before Cubism. I found those early paintings no less appealing — soft brushwork, human emotion, and the kind of light that feels alive. This museum is included in the Barcelona museum passport, without which one’d better book ticket online in advance.

The Picasso Museum is an inspiring place that lets you discover the artist’s evolution from his early works to his masterpieces. The building itself is beautiful, perfectly located in the Gothic Quarter and easy to reach. It’s also very close to the Palau de la Música Catalana, another wonderful place to visit! The atmosphere is calm and full of creativity — a must-visit in Barcelona!

The Fundació Joan Miró is a museum located on the hilltop of Montjuic in Barcelona, showcasing the modern and colorful artworks of Catalan artist Joan Miró. The museum features works from all periods of the artist's career, including his exploration of alternative forms to traditional painting. Visitors can explore a diverse collection of ceramics, paintings, sculptures, and drawings by the renowned artist. Additionally, the museum hosts various exhibits and events such as Nits de musica on Thursdays.
The museum is pretty amazing, featuring a variety of art pieces and techniques. The building was designed specifically for the artworks, making it a beautiful space. The views are also spectacular. If you’re new to art, I recommend booking a guided tour to help you understand it better. Additionally, students can receive a discount with their student ID.

Visiting the Joan Miró Museum was an unforgettable experience. The artworks are absolutely stunning, full of life, color, and imagination. You can feel the creative spirit of a true legend in every piece. The whole atmosphere is inspiring, and every detail is beautifully arranged – from the lighting to the open spaces around the paintings and sculptures. Everything is interesting here, even if you weren’t familiar with Miró’s work before. It’s a place where you want to stay longer, explore every detail, and absorb the artist’s energy. An exceptional collection, excellent organization, friendly staff, and a wonderful sense of harmony. Definitely one of the best places dedicated to modern art!

Very nice curated collection of Miró. The stuff is very friendly. Has student discount. Make sure you have time to see it because the views are also amazing. Nice museum store. Very spacious and the artworks are not crowded. After this you can take the Teleferic to the mountain.

Amazing and well-organised gallery space, really nice outdoor areas with a great mix of works on show. Adult tickets are €15 each. Definitely worth it. Good cafe and shop too. 100% worth the visit, as it’s also near the botanical gardens, archaeology museum and Catalan art museum. I think this place is on the tourist bus trail.
Henry R — Google review
A lovely and charming gallery it is! The open space is impressive. Perhaps due to my rather dull nature, I don’t resonate much with Miró’s art, but one must stay open-minded to allow for growth in aesthetic perspective 😉. Some of the works do bring joy just by looking at them.

A true disappointment! I visited this place 20 years ago and had the modern art experience of my life. This time I brought my 18 yo daughter. Miró in USA!! No explanations of how to enter the Miró universe, no audioguides, just art right away and texts about who was friend with whom. Who is responsible for destroying an entire exhibition??? Luckily ChatGPT came to help. Still love Mirò though, will come back.

CaixaForum Barcelona is one of those places that surprises you in the best possible way. Located near Montjuïc, this museum offers a calm and inspiring escape from the city’s bustle. The building itself is stunning—a beautifully restored former textile factory that perfectly blends modern architecture with historic charm. Even before stepping inside, the atmosphere feels inviting and thoughtfully designed. Once inside, the experience becomes even more enjoyable. The galleries are bright, well-curated, and host a great variety of exhibitions—from classical art to modern installations and photography. What I loved most was how approachable and relaxing it felt; it’s not overwhelming like some big museums, yet it delivers so much in terms of quality and creativity. Every exhibit is presented with care and clear explanations, making it easy to appreciate even if you’re not an art expert. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the overall space is peaceful, clean, and easy to navigate. The café is a nice bonus—a perfect spot to relax with a coffee after exploring. I left feeling inspired and genuinely content. Whether you’re into art, architecture, or just looking for a pleasant cultural experience in Barcelona, CaixaForum is absolutely worth visiting. It’s one of the city’s hidden treasures.

Granja Dulcinea is a historic churros shop in Barcelona that has been open since the 1940s. The charming dining room with a wooden balcony and fireplace gives off an old Spanish family living room vibe. It's a popular spot for breakfast, serving some of the best churros in Barcelona. Frequented by Salvador Dali, this quaint cafe handcrafts their churros, making them large and sweet.
Very good price for quantity and quality. Churros and chocolate were great, though I do wish there was more (or any) cinnamon on the churros. Chocolate was very rich! 😋 Cute 1940s style seating area, and there's more seating upstairs. It's very busy, so be aware of that!
Kelsee D — Google review
We loved discovering the original version of churros in Spain — barely sweet on their own! The chocolate sauce was thick and rich, with a pleasantly bitter touch. And as a bonus, the fact that the place served black tea was a delightful surprise!
Gökçen İ — Google review
It looks small from the outside, but there are many seats upstairs. The atmosphere inside is cozy. I really liked the ring churros — they went perfectly with the hot chocolate. The classic chocolate was a bit too bitter for me. Next time, I’ll try the French one. The prices are normal, and it’s worth it. The staff speak English. I recommend this place.
Faruk C — Google review
Really old dessert shop that has a very charming interior with wooden chairs and tables. Seating available both on the ground floor and one level up. Hot chocolate is good and the churros we had were unfortunately a bit dense and chewy. Creme Brulee is really good though. Still worth a visit if you’re in the area.
Teck B — Google review
I heard good things about this place. It has a long history serving churros. The service was good, no wait, and the interior feels like a time travel, a true early 20th century or older coffee shop, with wooden half walls and small wooden tables. The churros though... they were normal. Nothing explendid. I had some chuchos as well and they weren't great.
Breno M — Google review

We stumbled across this cafe in Barcelona and so glad we did! An absolute treat! Delicious baked goods and great quality drinks. Prices are also extremely reasonable for central Barcelona. My husband had the hot chocolate and churros (both delicious) and I had an Italian cappuccino and chocolate croissant, very tasty. The bill came to around €10. Absolutely worth popping into for a drink and sweet treats! Service was also very friendly and welcoming - and patient with Brits with limited Spanish! We would definitely return and recommend.

Parc del Fòrum is a vast waterfront complex known for its modern outdoor spaces that host concerts, festivals, and trade shows. While lacking in historical significance, the Placa del Forum area, also called El Forum, buzzes with activity. Skateboarders and cyclists populate the concrete plazas and oceanfront cycle lanes while graffiti artists leave their mark on the walls. The park's open layout offers easy navigation with prominent landmarks and the sea as reference points.
A trip to Parc del Forum in Barcelona was made as part of the music festival OFFWEEK to see the Afterlife event 2024. Parc del Forum is a purpose built area adjacent to the coast and beach for festivals, events and a range of other public entertainment purposes. Our hotel was on Port Vell and this was around a 10 minute taxi ride and circa €24 going but only €9.75 return at 3am in the morning. Access into Parc del Forum was easy on foot once dropped off by the taxi after a few minutes walk. Security and ticket control to enter was swift and efficient. Once inside, Parc del Forum was as expected a large space with a huge stage and a good range of bar and food facilities. Specifically for our music event, Parc del Forum was very good and as an outside venue, you need good weather. Thankfully, it was a glorious day and throughout the night until we left. Stage set up, lighting and sound quality was first class making Parc del Forum a great venue for such a music festival.

This year’s Primavera Sound Festival was a landmark event, delivering an unforgettable three-day experience packed with music, sunshine, and a vibrant atmosphere. For the first time, the festival proudly featured three female headliners across its main days — a bold and refreshing move that paid off with incredible performances and energy from Charlie XCX & Troye Sivan, Sabrina Carpenter and Chappell Roan. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect: sunny skies and warm temperatures set the tone for a truly uplifting weekend. The festival layout was equally impressive, offering a seamless blend of stages that catered to a wide range of tastes, from indie and electronic to global sounds. One standout feature was the spacious food area, complete with shaded spots and shared bench seating — a welcome touch for relaxing between sets. Sponsor stands added another layer of fun, with interactive booths and a surprising variety of products and experiences. Overall, Primavera delivered not just on music, but on comfort, inclusivity, and atmosphere — a shining example of how a modern festival should feel.

The FC Barcelona Museum, located at the iconic Camp Nou stadium, offers a rich history of one of the world's most successful football clubs. The museum showcases the club's trophies, historical photos, and exclusive spaces like Espacio Messi featuring his awards. With over 1.2 million annual visitors, it has been refurbished to keep up with the club's ongoing success. A visit to Barcelona would be incomplete without experiencing the popular Camp Nou Experience that includes a tour of the grounds and museum.
It’s definitely worth visiting the new Camp Nou area if you’re a Barça fan. Even though the stadium has been under construction, the museum and official store are open and full of things to explore. The store itself feels like an attraction, you can buy all kinds of merchandise, and even unique souvenirs like pieces of the stadium grass or parts of the goal net. They’ve also created fun simulations, such as experiencing the team’s changing room, which makes the visit even more engaging. Overall, the vibe is fantastic and it’s a must-see for football lovers in Barcelona.

Great club museum! Indeed, Barcelona is more than a club, as the main slogan of this club says. The ticket to the museum is worth it, you have everything to learn, see the part dedicated only to Messi, the basketball club with their trophies as well. The reason for the low rating is the fact that there is a very long wait for the entrance, 30-40 minutes each for elderly people, children, etc. in the heat. they have to wait to enter the museum and I believe that such a virtuous club, with a lot of money and such popularity, must create more humane conditions for visitors.

It's a nice experience, you can spend like 1 hour to visit everything, a bit on the expensive side, but if you are a barça fan then maybe it's worth it. The trophy room is the main attraction. Perched atop a mountain at 500 meters, Tibidabo offers breathtaking panoramic views of Barcelona. After enjoying the park's offerings, visitors can ascend to the highest point to marvel at the Sagrat Cor Church and its iconic bronze sculpture of the Sacred Heart of Jesus overlooking the city.
In my opinion, it is worth a visit if you have several days in the city, especially because of the magnificent church that rises above the city like some guardian of Barcelona. In addition, there is also an amusement park for children, not so special I would say. Tibidabo is one of the most iconic spots in Barcelona, combining history, culture, and fun. It all started with the first hermitage in the 19th century, later followed by the two beautiful churches that crown the mountain — the lower crypt and the impressive Temple Expiatori del Sagrat Cor on top. As the highest point in Barcelona, the views are simply breathtaking. On a clear day, you can enjoy a full 360° panorama of the city, the coastline, and even Montserrat in the distance. Getting there is easy and well organized: you can take the S1 or S2 train from Plaça Catalunya, connect with the funicular (paid), and finish the trip with bus 111. The whole journey is smooth and gives you a unique way to see the city from different perspectives. Beyond the church and views, Tibidabo also offers a charming amusement park, which is a fantastic option for families and kids, adding a playful touch to the visit. In short: a must-see in Barcelona — stunning views, beautiful history, and plenty to do for all ages.

Stayed at Tibidabo from midday till sunset — rides, views, food, and the kind of calm that reaches your soul. Even though there were quite a few visitors, it never felt crowded; instead, it had this peaceful atmosphere that made it easy to slow down and just breathe. It was one of those rare moments in life when everything feels just right.

The views of the city and beyond were absolutely worth the visit. Was easy to get to by bus or car. We took the funicular to the top. There’s a cathedral which allows you to go further up to get incredible views, costs about €6 per person. Would highly suggest going to the cathedral for the incredible views.

Beautiful church and a very nice spot to see Barcelona from above. It's a must visit for people who love architecture and churches as well as people who love amusement parks!
Wanderfly T — Google review
Tibidabo is a great place to visit, offering one of the best viewpoints over Barcelona. The panoramic views are stunning, and the church is absolutely worth exploring. It’s also easily accessible by bus.
