SoDo Park is a stunning venue steeped in history, originally constructed in 1907 as a warehouse. This beautifully restored space boasts original brick walls and reclaimed wood beams, creating an inviting rustic charm that enhances any event. With its impressive vaulted ceilings and versatile layout, SoDo Park can accommodate up to 500 guests, making it perfect for weddings of all sizes.
We recently photographed a wedding here, and have done so many times, so we figured it was time for a glowing review. The charm of this venue is undeniable. Anyone who walks in the door will immediately realize how special the main room is. What sets this venue above so many others though, is the attention to detail by the staff, which includes food & beverage. Absolutely top-tier. And to have so much space, all of which is beautiful, out of the Seattle weather, is also very hard to come by. 10/10 would recommend.

As a wedding photographer, I absolutely love working at SODO Park! This venue is truly a dream for couples and photographers alike. One of my favorite things about SODO Park is how it serves as a blank slate that can transform into anything you can imagine. Whether you're envisioning a modern, minimalist vibe or a lush, romantic setting, the space adapts beautifully to any style. The venue staff is another standout feature. They are incredibly professional, organized, and so kind, making the day run smoothly and stress-free for everyone involved. They genuinely care about creating an amazing experience for both the couple and their vendors, which is such a gift. The getting ready space upstairs is a gem. It's spacious, filled with natural light, and perfect for those sweet pre-ceremony moments with your wedding party or quiet time before walking down the aisle. For portraits, SODO Park has so much to offer! There are amazing spots nearby that complement the urban charm of the venue, and the versatility of the area means there’s something for everyone’s style. Plus, I can't get over how the light pours through the windows during the day. It creates such a warm, romantic atmosphere that enhances every moment. If you're looking for a venue that combines flexibility, a fantastic team, and stunning photo opportunities, SODO Park is a top choice. I always look forward to shooting weddings here!

As a wedding photographer I think my favorite thing about Sodo Park is that it is not only a beautiful venue on its own, but its proximity to other locations give couples the opportunity to have such a variety in their photos! The Herban Feast team is also so kind and wonderful at what they do. I loved every minute of my time at Sodo Park, it really is a gem!
Brianna M — Google review
Every Christmas work party has been at different venues. This place was spacious and had the best food spread and servers!! With both a beer, wine, champagne bar & limited liquor bar. The one disappointed was one stall ran out of T.P. in the ladies' room at the end of the night.
Sabrina S — Google review
A lovely and rustic venue! The food and service amazing! Not sure if it was handicap accessible which would have difficult if my Dad who is in a wheelchair would have attended. Also, more seating for cocktail hour would have been very much appreciated.
Lucinda M — Google review
An ideal wedding/event/party venue with surprisingly easy access in and out via the 1st avenue exit off the West Seattle freeway and I 90. That's a huge plus for in city urban choices. Herban Feast does an exquisite job both with service and execution as well as food and beverage quality. Dinner was amazing.

We just had our wedding last night 7.1.17 and we have loved working with everyone at SoDo Park from the beginning. Rosalyn was our venue coordinator and she was incredibly helpful and responsive, willing to answer any of our questions and help with everything we needed. The venue was absolutely beautiful, the wait staff were wonderful and our guests even commented on how nice they were, the food was delicious and we can't recommend them highly enough. We also went with their Herban Bloom and Design for flowers and décor and they did such a beautiful job. Our flowers were so fresh, color combinations perfect and so well organized!

Nestled in the vibrant neighborhood of Fremont, The Fremont Foundry is a stunning wedding venue that exudes sophistication and charm. With an impressive 11,000 square feet of event space, it features soaring 20-foot ceilings and a blend of exposed wood and iron elements. The airy atrium boasts cement walls and hardwood floors, creating an inviting atmosphere for celebrations.
We got married at the Fremont Foundry early last month and it was beyond our wildest dreams. Leading up to our wedding our venue coordinator Ruby was absolutely incredible. And the combo of her and the day-of team was perfection -- everyone had such amazing energy, made transitions from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception seamless, and were true visionaries with set up and the details. The whole team made us feel so special on our wedding day and we were able to be 100% present while they did all of the behind the scenes work. The venue is obviously so stunning -- and it's a perfect choice for indoor + outdoor celebrations. We were lucky to be able to use the rooftop for our ceremony and cocktail hour, and we loved having the courtyard space for guests to take a breather from dancing and also enjoy the food truck we brought in! 100% we highly recommend Fremont Foundry!! We are still beaming from our perfect wedding day :)
Alexandria M — Google review
The Fremont Foundry is hands down one of the best wedding venues in Seattle! Its industrial style provides such a cool and modern aesthetic, while also serving as a blank slate that can be transformed into whatever couples dream up. Whether you're going for chic minimalism or something bold and vibrant, this venue adapts beautifully. One of the things I love most is the flexibility of the space. There are both indoor and outdoor ceremony options, so no matter the weather or vibe, there’s a perfect spot. The garden area and rooftop are especially stunning for a welcome or cocktail hour, with gorgeous views and plenty of space for guests to mingle. The staff is incredible. They’re collaborative, professional, and always go the extra mile to make sure everything runs smoothly. Their team-first attitude makes my job as a photographer so much easier and more enjoyable. Another huge plus is the abundance of great portrait locations. Whether it’s around the Fremont neighborhood or right at the venue itself, there are so many amazing backdrops to work with. If you’re looking for a venue that’s versatile, stylish, and supported by an outstanding team, Fremont Foundry should be at the top of your list. I can’t recommend it enough!
Lindsey P — Google review
As a photographer, I love shooting at the Fremont Foundry! All the spaces are super clean and the amount of natural window light that you get inside the building is insane! Plus you have the outdoor ceremony area for summer weddings where you can look out across Fremont. It's really nice that they have multiple spaces within the same building because it gives some nice variety to the photos, and there are a few beautiful urban spots nearby including the Fremont Cut. The staff is super helpful and I've never run into any issues with things running smoothly. If you're looking for an urban venue with a lot of amenities, definitely one you should check out!

Our wedding at the Foundry was phenomenal. Our guests loved the vibe and the space, and the food was a huge hit — we even had multiple guests asking who catered our wedding so they could book them for their own events. A special shoutout to our boy Joshua, who truly made our experience unforgettable. He was incredibly accommodating, attentive, and communicative with our day-of coordinator, and he assisted in making everything run smoothly. We got multiple compliments on how well run our wedding was. Thank you, Joshua for being such a wonderful part of our wedding day. Landmark is lucky to have you and I mean that! With much love - K & K

We had the absolute best time at the Fremont Foundry!!! It’s an absolutely amazing venue for throwing a party – so many of our friends had been there before and our high expectations were exceeded! One of the most important things for us was finding a venue “that had a space for everyone” and that’s EXACTLY what the Foundry provides. You wanna dance? It’s an AWESOME dance floor. Need a breather? Check out the courtyard or the rooftop. Want to be involved but just watch? There are various side-rooms and balconies to check out the action. Of course, another huge pro is that catering is provided in-house, so it made that part of the process so much easier. We also used their list of recommended vendors, all of whom are familiar with the space, and it made set-up on the day of the event an absolute breeze. We do need to respectfully acknowledge that communication with the venue was… a little suspect at times. They experienced a lot of turnover over the past year (as well as some pricing changes), and while we were ultimately very happy with our experience, we hope they can get back to some consistency so that all couples and events get a smooth experience! (A special shoutout to Brittany who stepped in for our last month and really brought things home for us, thanks friend!!) Overall, we are so glad that we picked the Foundry and we hope you consider them for your event!!
Jim B — Google review
If I could give more than five stars I would. Fremont Foundry made our reception a dream come true. The planning team was amazing very responsive, helpful, and they genuinely made us feel like our vision was important. The décor turned out better than I could have imagined, the space itself is stunning so I didn't have to decorate with too much decoration. Our guests commented on the food, especially the short ribs. And the rooftop at sunset? To die for. Now I drive by there every time and smile thinking about that night.
Hannah G — Google review
Lovely venue! Parking was easy - you could park on the street or there were parking lots close by. The rooftop area was beautiful for my friend’s wedding reception!
Cathy T — Google review
The Foundry was the best wedding ceremony/venue spot. The deck is perfect for a ceremony on a nice day and the ballroom is ideal for dancing all night long. The Foundry team was amazing.

If you're searching for a unique and charming wedding venue in Seattle, look no further than The MV Skansonia. This historic ferryboat, which once transported passengers across the waters from 1929 to 1967, is now permanently docked on the picturesque north shore of Lake Union. With stunning views of the city skyline and Space Needle, it offers an enchanting backdrop for both ceremonies and receptions.
The MV Skansonia is one of the most unique and exciting wedding venues I’ve had the pleasure of photographing! This incredible space offers breathtaking views of the Seattle skyline and Lake Union, which provide such a stunning backdrop for ceremonies and portraits. It’s impossible not to be inspired by the beauty and charm of this venue. One of my favorite things about the MV Skansonia is the endless opportunities for fun and creative portraits. Whether you’re drawn to the waterfront views, the ship’s vintage details, or the skyline in the distance, there’s a perfect spot for every couple’s style. The venue’s character is truly one-of-a-kind. The staff here is absolutely fantastic! They’re so accommodating, professional, and easy to work with, making the day smooth and enjoyable for everyone. Another standout feature is the two getting ready spaces, which are ideal if the couple wants to get ready at the venue together but still maintain the element of surprise before the first look. Both spaces are filled with beautiful natural light, which makes for stunning pre-ceremony photos and a calm, welcoming vibe. The MV Skansonia has such a fun and unique atmosphere that perfectly sets the tone for an unforgettable wedding day. I always leave feeling inspired and can’t wait to go back to capture more love stories aboard this incredible venue!

The MV Skansonia in Seattle is an absolute gem for weddings! As a wedding photographer, this is one of my absolute favorite venues to photograph. It has such a unique charm and breathtaking views of both Lake Union and the Seattle skyline. This vintage ferryboat offers a one-of-a-kind experience with its warm wood interiors, nautical details, and expansive outdoor deck, perfect for stunning sunset shots. Even on cloudy or rainy days, the photos are MAGIC here. The water backdrop is a true PNW setting for both ceremonies and receptions, you can even see the space needle from the bow. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring everything runs smoothly. Every corner of the MV Skansonia provides photo opportunities that are as unique as the venue itself—a true dream for any wedding photographer!
Alyssa P — Google review
As a wedding photographer, I shoot a lot of weddings, and I can confidently say that MV Skansonia is one of the most stunning and unique venues in Seattle! I had the pleasure of both working and celebrating here, and the experience was nothing short of incredible. Pros: 1) Stunning Views: The Seattle skyline and waterfront backdrop made for breathtaking photos and a magical ceremony setting. This venue offers some of the best natural light and scenic backgrounds for portraits! 2) Exceptional Staff: The team at MV Skansonia was professional, accommodating, and incredibly organized. They ensured everything ran smoothly, which made my job easier and created a stress-free experience for the couple. 3) Delicious Food & Drinks: The catering was outstanding—beautifully presented and full of flavor. Guests were raving about the meal and craft cocktails! 4) Beautiful Indoor & Outdoor Spaces: Whether capturing moments on the deck with panoramic water views or inside the warmly lit reception space, every corner of this venue is photogenic and charming. 5) Smooth Flow: The venue layout makes transitioning between ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception effortless, creating a seamless experience for both guests and vendors. Cons: 1) Limited Street Parking: The only minor downside is the lack of dedicated parking, so guests may need to carpool, use rideshare services, or arrive early to find a spot. However, this is a small trade-off for such a breathtaking venue. Overall, MV Skansonia is a dream location for weddings—perfect for couples looking for an unforgettable atmosphere, exceptional service, and a truly picturesque setting. As a photographer, I can confidently say this venue offers everything needed to create and capture magical wedding moments!

Sarah and the rest of the Landmark Event Co staff were incredible to work with! Our wedding day went by without any hiccups, and the boat looked absolutely beautiful all decorated. Would not have changed a single thing - many of our guests said it was the best venue they've ever been to a wedding at and they raved about the food :) Would recommend the Skansonia for anyone looking for a memorable & unique Seattle wedding.
Taylor R — Google review
We just got married at the MV Skansonia on a glorious summer day and we're still over-the-moon about it. The venue is an absolute gem! It truly is one-of-a-kind and after debating between several different venues, we don't regret our choice in the least bit! Its uniqueness and scenic setting was what sold us. The ferry is docked in a prime location on Lake Union with the most stunning view of the Seattle skyline. We danced under the setting sun and stars on the waterfront deck. The food provided through Herban Feast was delicious! Our guests are still commenting on what a great venue it is, how yummy the dinner was, and even had fun researching the ferry's history too! If you're looking for an elegant venue with a dash of whimsy and charm, look no further! The staff and our venue coordinators (Ruby Sainsbury & Stephanie Jones) were absolutely incredible to work with. They were engaged from beginning to end and always easy to reach! They accommodated our unique requests in honor of cultural tradition, including a tea ceremony and even served outside ice cream instead of the in-house desserts for our guests. I can't thank the entire Landmark staff at the Skansonia enough! They truly helped make our day magical!
Suzette M — Google review
This is a great private party venue. The MV Skansonia is moored just west of Ivar's Salmon House and the I-5 Canal Bridge on the North end of Lake Union with fabulous views of the Seattle skyline across the lake. The food was excellent, the service friendly and it proved to be a perfect way to spend a Tuesday evening in August.
Mark O — Google review
Love the beautiful venue. Love the vintage setting. My dear friend had a beautiful wedding. The staff was great. Couple things that didn't set well... they need to clean the toilet, not just the seat they outside and around the Whole thing. People are paying big bucks for a wedding venue. CLEAN THE BATHROOM specifically the toilet. And please DO NOT take a hose and spray the nesting geese out of their nests, do not pick up their eggs and move them to another geese' s nest. DO NOT HOSE THE GEESE!!! And.. visit home depot, Lowe's or whatever flower place and take the time to jazz up the flower boxes that are located around the arbor. It's a first impression as soon as you step off the ramp onto the deck. I'm not sure why that is completely neglected but it is and it didn't go unnoticed. It's a wedding venue and people are looking at photos for their special day for a lifetime. It's a beautiful venue and it could be 5 stars if your staff never harms the water fowl ever again, cleans the nasty bathroom and gives the flower boxes some much needed help. Other than that my friends wedding was beautiful.
Kimberly H — Google review
The MV Skansonia is a beautiful and unique venue. I've photographed weddings and events here and am always happy with the lightning and ambiance. It's dreamy. The staff are kind and helpful and the layout of the space works really well for large groups. All that and I haven't even mentioned the stunning views of downtown Seattle and Lake Union... unbeatable.

The Olympic Rooftop Pavilion in downtown Seattle is a stunning venue that offers an unforgettable rooftop experience, complete with breathtaking views of the iconic city skyline. This picturesque location is ideal for hosting weddings, especially as the sunsets paint the sky in vibrant colors. The Pavilion features a fully covered open-air design with expansive window walls that can be opened to embrace the fresh air while keeping guests sheltered from unpredictable weather.
They were a great venue and provided the perfect vibe and fit for about 70 guests. Food was outstanding, desserts were great, the service was phenomenal, especially by Dominique and her staff. The sales manager was a bit difficult to reach at times and could have been easier to work with. But the service by the day of staff like Dominique warrants a 5 star review.

Perfect wedding venue! We hosted our 65 person wedding here and could not recommend more. Every single person at the venue is incredible - Elisabeth, the venue manager who we worked with up until the day, is extremely organized, communicative, and detail oriented. The day-of manager, Dominique, is gracious, attentive, and FUN! The entire staff took care of our guests. We received so many compliments from our guests about the incredible service. Additionally, the food and drinks are top notch. The vibe is very dinner party. So thrilled to have had our wedding here and can't thank the crew enough!!

A night of Frank Sinatra music put on by Fever this week had a great vibe on the hotel rooftop in downtown Ballard. A lovely vintage hotel I didn’t even know about! The weather was perfect for our party of 4 to enjoy the outdoor space at a tall cocktail table or the plush comfy high back vintage chairs around the outdoor fireplace. The seating for the music was undercover with chandeliers and still with views of the beautiful outdoor scenery. If you want to have some yummy apps with your libations, you have a nice choice. My only wish was that the lovely music would never end!! Great night out with friends and music.

Had a 15 person wedding at this venue back in November and I have nothing but amazing things to say about it! The event space is very beautiful if you are looking for an industrial city vibe. While our party was small in size, we did utilize both the indoor pavilion and wrapping front patio with no issues. The pavilion does require you to use their caterer (Stoneburner) but the food was top notch. I truly am a picky eater and I very much enjoyed our menu selection! The servers and bartender were very professional and our guests had wonderful things to say about them after. Something we would like to share is that a heads up to others looking to have an event here is there is no bridal or grooms gathering area (we just booked a suite separately) and very tight parking is below the hotel so plan accordingly. The Olympic rooftop pavilion was an amazing venue and the event staff truly have your best interests in mind. We picked this venue all the way from Texas just by looking at the other reviews and pictures ONLINE. I would 100% recommend this venue space for smaller weddings, receptions and special events!

Imperia Lake Union, formerly known as Lake Union Cafe, is a historic wedding venue located in Seattle, Washington. With over 4000 square feet of event space and a 1920's-inspired art-deco aesthetic, it offers an elegant setting for intimate weddings. The venue also provides the option of hosting outdoor ceremonies at their Fairview Park Outdoor Ceremony area.
Most fun, best food, best team, best space set up, best vibe, absolutely 100/10!!! We loved our experience and cannot recommend Imperia Lake Union highly enough. This venue will take care of you and your guests in ways you didn’t know you needed. The venue is so comfortable for guests, with comfy places to sit, a central dance floor, a real bar, great bathrooms, easy Ubers — plus the ambiance you can’t beat! The room looked so magical with all the florals and candles. Best night of our lives, and it all went so smoothly thanks to the awesome venue. Thank you Imperia team!

My wife and I were married here in November and we had the best experience working with the Tasia and the staff to have the wedding we wanted as well as staying within our budget. The food was fantastic and our special day was went perfectly! We can't recommend this venue enough!

I loved photographing Yuliya and Erics wedding at Imperia this past October! We started their day getting ready at a nearby hotel, then rooftop couples portraits showcasing the Seattle market and scenic views. From there we made our way to the venue for family photos, ceremony, and such a fun reception! They loved the art-deco, speakeasy vibe of the venue and the incredible chandeliers! The staff was so sweet and helped everything run smoothly :)

We highly recommend Imperia Lake Union. This venue embodied everything we were looking for. It was eclectic, a good value, and offered many amenities that allowed us to consolidate our list of vendors. Tasia and JJ are there to answer your questions, help you bring your wedding vision to life, and to support you on your big day to ensure everything goes smoothly. The food was fantastic, the flowers were gorgeous (JJ is the in-house florist), and the set up for our indoor ceremony/reception made this already beautiful venue look amazing. Our guests had a blast and we've heard countless compliments on the elegance of the venue. If you are looking for a vintage style venue in Seattle, this is it!

We chose to have our wedding at Imperia and could not be more happy with how it turned out. The venue is beautiful and the staff were absolutely amazing to work with. If you are looking for a place to have a fun party that goes late, this place is where you should book! We have been told by multiple people from our wedding that this was the best wedding they have been too and one of the coolest venues they have ever seen. If you are tossing up whether to go with Imperia or somewhere else, your money will be best spent with the folks from Imperia!

We could not be any happier that we booked our venue at Imperia. Aside from us just falling in love with the decor immediately, we also fell in love with JJ and Tasia, who we worked with the entire time. They are funny, caring, professional and would love to call them friends. From the food, event coordination, flowers and staff, everything on our special day was top notch. My wife and I highly recommend Imperia Lake Union for any event and we hope we’re able to plan something with them in the future. Nick & Alicia

Imperia Lake Union staff and venue went above and beyond my expectations! The venue was clean, classy, and had a tasteful design that extra decorations were minimal on my part. In addition, Tasia Fisher (Director of Events) was AMAZING! She was prompt, calm, and collected. She made sure my wedding day went smoothly but that we were taken care of along the way. The food tasting exceeded our expectations and guests raved about it afterwards. The only thing I wish I did differently was extend my wedding longer because I didn't want to leave! :) If you want a magical and beautiful wedding, then Imperia Lake Union is your wedding venue. I'd give them 10 stars - they are the best!

I simply cannot form the right words to express how amazing the Imperia team is! Everything was so seamless throughout the planning process. JJ and Tasia were both super buttoned up, calming, timely and fun to work with. They answered my bazillion questions and never made me feel like too much. My family and friends are still gushing over the big day and said the venue was one of their favorites EVER! We need to talk about the food…. freaking delicious (even the Armenians approved - LOL!!!). The space itself is simply gorgeous as is but what they did with it for us was stunning! I wish we could go back in time & do it all over again. It was such a beautiful, special, perfect day and a lot of that is because of JJ, Tasia and the entire Imperia team. Thank you all, you’re incredible at what you do!

If you're on the hunt for a unique wedding venue in Seattle, look no further than WithinSodo. This charming space is nestled within a historic building that boasts stunning exposed brick walls and soaring ceilings, creating an inviting industrial-chic atmosphere. With three versatile areas to choose from, including The Lounge and Courtyard for more intimate gatherings, WithinSodo can cater to any event style you envision.
As a DJ who has been to hundreds of venues in Seattle, I can confidently say that WithinSodo stands out as one of the best! The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, always going above and beyond to ensure everything runs smoothly. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, with a unique charm that makes it perfect for any special occasion. The upstairs views of Seattle are truly priceless, adding an extra layer of magic to the experience. I highly recommend WithinSodo to couples looking for a unique and breathtaking venue.

We had an absolutely amazing experience with WithinSodo as the venue for our wedding! The location is perfect if you're looking for that trendy industrial vibe. I loved the flexibility of being able to book different rooms to suit our needs. We booked the entire bottom floor, which worked out beautifully for our 100-person guest list. The space was more than enough, and although it doesn't seem like it would fit that many people when you first tour the venue, it really does. I highly recommend attending one of their open houses to get a better feel for how the space can be transformed! Kate, the venue coordinator, was fantastic! She was incredibly friendly and so helpful throughout the entire planning process. She answered all of my questions, no matter how big or small, and made the lead-up to the wedding feel less stressful. A couple of small cons to mention: the venue requires you to use their bar services, which are excellent but can get a bit pricey. Additionally, the bride and groom’s suite was a bit small, and with my four bridesmaids, we were cramped. I also wish we could have brought in décor the night before or earlier in the morning, as long as there wasn’t another event going on, but it wasn't a deal-breaker. Overall, WithinSodo was a fantastic choice for our wedding. The space, staff, and overall experience were incredible, and I would absolutely recommend this venue to anyone looking for a beautiful, flexible location with a unique vibe.

My husband and I loved this venue! And the event team was so great to work with. Great communication during planning, excellent bartending service and they checked in during the reception to make sure we were all comfortable and had everything we needed. Very appreciative of the WithinSodo crew, thank you for making our day!

Attended a wedding here. Venue is great for weddings and has a nice layout for larger groups. Great view of the city. Pain points were the lack of parking, no clear entrance into the venue (you enter through a bar), and no Air Conditioning meant a very uncomfortable wedding for all guests on a hot afternoon.
Cameron L — Google review
I love this venue. It is just perfect for medium sized weddings. Whether you're using the downstairs area or on the roof in the summer, it's a perfect way to celebrate in the city of Seattle. Also, great views of the skyline and (for a photographer) lots of fun corners to take photos.

THE 101 is a versatile event venue located in the heart of downtown Seattle, offering a blend of rich history and modern industrial style. With its original red brick walls and white beams, it provides a blank canvas for couples to customize for their special day. The space can accommodate up to 200 guests and is popular among emerging artists seeking smaller venues with a Seattle draw. Its proximity to the waterfront adds to its charm, making it an ideal location for various events.
This review is for our wedding that took place on 08/17/24. First things first, do not hesitate to choose The 101. From the very start of taking a tour of the venue with Emily, we knew it was the perfect venue for our special day. We went with the partial planning package, and from day 1, Alison was incredible—constantly checking in, offering guidance, and ensuring every detail was covered. She kept an open line of communication and contacted vendors on our behalf when needed. As our big day was approaching, Alison shared great news with us that caused her to unfortunately miss our wedding. Throughout the process, she reassured us with every step of the way that the transition to our day-of coordinator, Sam, would be seamless. When the big day arrived, Sam took over without missing a beat. She made sure we didn't have to lift a single finger and made it stress-free from the morning through the night. We could not be more appreciative of how well Sam took care of not only us, but our entire group of friends and family as well. The entire team at The 101 was beyond organized, handling everything with care and professionalism. They ensured we, as the bride and groom, had everything we needed at all times, making us feel truly taken care of. Now for the venue itself, it is stunning, versatile, open, and welcoming. The amount of natural lighting that shines through during an August summer made for the perfect photos. One of the biggest highlights and deal-makers for us was how they are dog-friendly, allowing our dog Milo to be our ring bearer and part of our special day. That meant the world to us, and we appreciate how welcoming the staff made Milo feel. If you’re looking for a venue that is beautiful, well-run, professional, and incredibly accommodating, look no further. Alison, Sam, and Emily made our wedding day absolutely perfect. Highly, highly recommended! Thank you again, The 101 team! We are forever grateful.

We had the pleasure of partnering with The 101 to host two incredible women’s events this Spring — a social and a workshop — and the space truly helped make both events a hit! The beautiful open layout, natural lighting, and stylish details created the perfect atmosphere for connection, inspiration, and celebration. The team at The 101 was attentive, supportive, responsive, and easy to work with throughout the entire process. We’re so grateful for their partnership and for helping bring two back-to-back successful events to life. We hosted a pop-up market at this venue and WOW, it was hands down the best experience we’ve ever had! From the very first visit to the last minute of our event, the 101 team made everything seamless. They were incredibly organized, kind, and so easy to work with. With dozens of vendors and tons of questions flying around, Alison was a total rockstar — always quick to respond and ready with solutions. And the venue is absolutely gorgeous! Flooded with natural light, historic brick walls, and a cozy, inviting vibe. It was pure magic. We couldn’t have dreamed up a better place to host our event! Can’t wait to be back!

Chihuly Garden and Glass is a stunning museum and sculpture garden that showcases the breathtaking glass works of renowned artist Dale Chihuly. Hailing from the Pacific Northwest, Chihuly has gained global recognition for his vibrant and expansive collection of glass blown creations spanning over five decades. The museum, located near the iconic Space Needle in Seattle Center, offers visitors an immersive experience with both indoor and outdoor displays of Chihuly's magnificent sculptures.
Amazing pieces. Seattle location has been on my list after visiting the St Pete location. The glass house and garden was gorgeous as well and enjoyed watching his work in the theatre. I watched the live glass blowing as well and it was so fun to watch. The bar was so cute with all his collections showcased. My only thing was I paid $20 for what tasted like a $6 happy hour premade margarita. Cocktail bars are cheaper and they are handcrafted. Regardless, the bartender and all the staff were so kind and helpful. Highly recommend checking this museum out
Shelby O — Google review
This glass exhibit was beautifully displayed. The lighting was superb to show the multiple colors of the glass. The gardens were easy to navigate too. I watched a glass blowing demonstration, which runs on a regular schedule. There's a bar inside with the most interesting decor. Great menu and drinks, my drink was $20, so it's pricy. I bought a museum and Space Needle combo ticket which made it definitely worth it. Would highly recommend.
T W — Google review
We visited Chihuly Garden and Glass right after our trip up the Seattle Space Needle, and the convenience can't be beaten. The two attractions are located very close to each other, making it a perfect combo for a day at the Seattle Center. From the moment we stepped inside, I was totally astonished. The artwork displayed, made entirely from glass, is beyond impressive. The vibrant colors, the organic shapes, the dramatic lighting, and the massive, complex formations all combined to form a constant "wow" factor in every single room. It feels like walking through a magical, otherworldly garden. Be aware that it is a compact museum, so I can easily imagine how crowded the indoor galleries can get during peak busy seasons. We were there in October and found the conditions perfect—the crowds were manageable and the weather was ideal. Speaking of weather, the outdoor garden area is absolutely beautiful, with the glass sculptures intertwined with natural foliage. However, I do think anyone visiting in the summer might have a hard time enduring the heat there, as it's quite exposed. Our autumn visit provided the perfect climate to enjoy both the intricate indoor exhibits and the beautiful garden setting at a leisurely pace. A must-see for art lovers, but timing your visit can make all the difference.
Jayne Z — Google review
It took us less than an hour to walk through, but every display was stunning and full of detail. One thing that really stood out to us was how clean everything was. The air felt spotless and there was no dust on or around the glass pieces, which was amazing to see. Outside, there was live glass blowing, and they were making vases while explaining the process. It was fascinating to watch, and the artists were great at interacting with the audience and answering questions. Overall, it was a short visit but very memorable and worth seeing.
Mercedes — Google review
The Chihuly Garden and Glass is absolutely stunning—one of the most beautiful and unique attractions in Seattle! Every exhibit is a masterpiece of color, light, and imagination. The glass sculptures are breathtaking, from the intricate indoor installations to the vibrant pieces displayed among the gardens. The Glasshouse itself, with its massive hanging sculpture and view of the Space Needle through the glass ceiling, is simply spectacular. The layout is easy to navigate, the staff are welcoming and knowledgeable, and the gift shop is filled with beautiful keepsakes. Whether you’re an art lover or just looking for something inspiring and peaceful, this is a must-see experience that captures the creativity and magic of Dale Chihuly’s work.
Ajit K — Google review
This place is absolutely stunning. We bought a combined ticket to visit the Space Needle and Chihuly Garden and Glass, which worked really well. The glass artwork is incredible - so intricate, colourful and creative. The exhibition showcases the unique style of Dale Chihuly, with both indoor galleries and outdoor garden installations that make it a truly immersive experience. Definitely worth a visit if you appreciate art and design.

Visiting Chihuly Garden and Glass was nothing short of breathtaking. From the moment I stepped into the Glasshouse, I was immersed in Dale Chihuly’s vibrant world of color, light, and imagination. Each installation felt like a living sculpture fluid, organic, and impossibly intricate. The galleries are thoughtfully curated, showcasing the evolution of Chihuly’s artistry with stunning detail. But the real magic happens in the garden, where glass blooms and tendrils intertwine with real flora, creating a surreal harmony between human creativity and natural beauty. It’s like walking through a dream. 🎟️ Ticket Info - Adults (13–64): $35–$42.50 - Seniors (65+): $30–$37.50 - Youth (5–12): $30–$37.50 - Children (under 4): Free - Combo Ticket (Chihuly + Space Needle): $69 - Seattle CityPASS (includes multiple attractions): $99–$129 💡 Discount Tips - Save over 40% with the Seattle CityPASS, which includes admission to Chihuly Garden and Glass plus other top attractions like the Space Needle and Seattle Aquarium. The Corson Building, located in the Georgetown neighborhood, is a charming restaurant housed in a 1910 home. The cozy and intimate dining room features communal tables that can easily accommodate couples for a romantic date night. The ambiance is enhanced by wooden furnishings, serene light walls, and a fireplace, creating an ideal setting for special occasions like anniversaries. The restaurant offers both set and à la carte menus with seasonal American fare that includes sweet and savory options.
We went to The Corson Building to celebrate our anniversary, and it was such a lovely experience. The food was absolutely delicious! The vibes were cozy and romantic, perfect for a special night out. We also appreciated the easy parking right in front, which made everything even smoother. A hidden gem worth visiting for any occasion!

Overall we enjoyed the creativity of the food and the nice ambiance. It is a bit pricy though. FOOD: they have fixed menu with optional wine pairing. Each course is very unique, and the portion is pretty generous. We enjoyed the taste of some food, others were more like a fun adventure. AMBIANCE: we sat outdoors that’s covered and very warm. The indoor space looks very nice too. The service was great.
Connie C — Google review
Service was amazing, all staff was extremely kind and welcoming. Inside is more cozy and dimlit, while the outside has a brick and earthy feel. However, the 4 course meal we had on Sunday has an extremely steep price for what seems like just-above-average food. For two people it was $300. They don’t post the price of this anywhere, or do a great job hiding it. This price was not worth the food in my opinion, especially because there were no ingredients of the dishes that might justify that cost. Although the atmosphere is extremely great, I would hesitate to recommend this place.

I had the privilege of experiencing the exceptional dining and service at The Corson Building for an intimate wedding, and I can honestly say it was nothing short of outstanding. From the moment we arrived, the front-of-house team—Sera, Jim, and Steven—welcomed us with warmth and professionalism, ensuring every detail was taken care of with ease. The menu was an absolute highlight — every dish crafted with such care, bursting with flavor, and beautifully presented. Chef Emily and Seamus truly outdid themselves, delivering a culinary experience that left everyone raving. And with Kristy and Caroline supporting their efforts, it was clear that the team worked in perfect harmony to create a flawless dining experience. The service was impeccable, guided and managed flawlessly by the amazing Angela and Matt. Their care, intention, and attention to every little detail made the day feel seamless, allowing everyone to relax and fully enjoy the celebration. For intimate weddings, this venue is an absolute gem. Nestled in the heart of historic Georgetown, it offers not just an unforgettable meal but an unforgettable atmosphere. Really beautiful spot close to the city. The spiced middle eastern cake was the standout dish, I wish I'd had more. The appetizer and entree were good, though not very memorable. Service was alright, and felt a little busy/pushy for the kind of ambience. I'd like to see more GF options, and more vegetarian dishes where the vegetables are highlighted.

Beautiful place, nice and friendly staff. Food wise—it was just okay. Nothing special and it took forever for our entrees to come out :/

Absolutely incredible restaurant - food, wine, service. The hospitality here is next level from every staff member you encounter. You will feel the staff loves this restaurant. If you have ever been to a Danny Meyer restaurant ie Gramercy Tavern in NYC you will understand. The chef here is working on a different level. This is Michelin 1-2 star food. Two of the dishes we had tonight were easily Top 5 of anywhere we have dined in 2025. And wine - in the word where crazy trends are taking over or wine lists have been abandoned, this is a true wine lovers list. Ask for a wine recommendation, tell them what you enjoy, and you will not be disappointed. (Hint - go Italian) Well done Corson team!

The gallery hosts monthly rotating exhibits featuring contemporary art by local, national, and international artists and photographers. It's also known for hosting new shows with entertainment during the First Thursday Art Walk.
A beautiful art gallery in Pioneer Square. From what I've seen I think this might be the biggest space in the area. Tons of beautiful art, and they put on a nice presentation for the art walks with refreshments and performances. Highly recommended!

A wonderful venue. I've photographed weddings, parties, corporate gatherings and non-profit events here (anything from 50-200 people). No matter the need, it's open, big, but also intimate and easy to use. I love the space and the way that the two rooms feel connected, but also provide various areas to gather. Plus, you can't go wrong with the classic look of the bricks. And of course, the location is great for extra photo opportunities!
Joe P — Google review
AXIS Pioneer Square is hands down the best venue in the Greater Seattle Area! My husband and I had our July 2022 wedding at AXIS and it was simply the best decision we could have ever made. After we toured the venue, which was the first venue we toured, we knew immediately that AXIS was the place for us. The unique thing about this venue is not only its beautiful brick walls, large archways, and industrial-modern vibes - its the amazing people that work at the venue including Erin, Melissa, and Jamie. These three people are the heart and soul of this gorgeous, historical venue and they will go above and beyond to ensure you have the best experience possible on your event day. Over the course of our wedding planning process, we worked with Melissa and Erin who provided countless recommendations, offered brilliant ideas on how to best utilize the space, and were always so genuinely invested in us. They brought so much energy and enthusiasm to the planning process, and we really got to know them through regular email communications, monthly art walks, open houses, and walkthroughs with our vendors. Simply put, they are professionals and won’t let you down. On the actual day of our wedding, Jamie was our Venue Manager and she facilitated set-up at the venue and was so attentive to our needs. She truly makes sure your day is special. In terms of the venue, it requires minimal design and decor as it’s already so breathtaking! Therefore, anything you bring in only elevates the space to a whole new level. AXIS also has partnerships with local caterers, florists, rental companies, lighting specialists, planners, etc. which provides for an easy selection of the best vendors to accompany your venue rental. We also had the option to rent out the alley behind the venue, which we did, and it provided the perfect environment for our friends and family to enjoy cocktails, chat, and catch a breath of fresh air after dancing the night away. Ultimately, AXIS and its staff are the best in the industry. We may have started off as strangers, but AXIS soon became part of our family! We highly recommend AXIS for your wedding or event, you truly won’t be disappointed!
Quintin — Google review
We had our wedding at Axis and had an amazing experience working with their staff! Erin is absolutely wonderful. We booked way ahead of time, and Erin remained diligent in responding to all of our questions throughout the entire process. We felt like she really cared and took the time to make our day special. After our initial meeting, we ran into her at the Seattle Bridal Show and she recognized us immediately and came over to chat and ask us how we were. We thought that was really nice considering she had only met us in person once. Our guests loved the venue, everyone commented on how cozy and warm it felt. The brick walls, arches, antique floors, and the up-lighting are gorgeous. We felt like we really didn't even need to decorate. I also loved that we could nail things directly into the wall. I did several DIY pieces, so that was really helpful! Right before our wedding they opened the second venue space. In case you are worried about noise, don't be. We didn't even notice that there was another event going on. We also had an eight piece jazz band, and to my knowledge no one complained about noise! [All photos credit Tonie Christine Photography]

Perched majestically on a hill, The Admiral's House is an enchanting wedding venue that embodies the charm of Seattle. If you are looking for something turnkey where the venue provides you everything, this is not the place for you. When we were not working 60 hours/week for our career, my wife and I pretty much took 12 months of planning into making this THE most memorable night of our lives and a decision we will not regret

The Admiral’s House is a true hidden gem and quietly perched above the city with views that feel cinematic! As a wedding photographer these views were a dream. When you’re there, it feels like you’ve discovered something one-of-a-kind, like a secret estate tucked away in plain sight. The historic charm and panoramic views create a setting that’s both intimate and grand.

I came here to attend and my best friend Mickey for his wedding. One of the best places in Seattle for hosting outdoor parties and weddings. Such a unique and very quiet and beautiful place where you can see the whole view. Very beautiful and interesting place.

Probably one of the most elite, exclusive and upscale event venues in Seattle. The secluded location is perched on top of the Magnolia neighborhood overlooking Elliott Bay with a panoramic view of the Emerald City skyline. If you have the means, book your private wedding, corporate party, photo/film shoot or special event at this historic place.

The best wedding venue! this has the best views and we got lucky on a beautiful day. I might just have to do another day of 12 hr travel to get here for my own wedding!

The Admiral's House is the most incredible venue for a wedding! The view was exquisite and made for some beautiful pictures. The grounds were well kept and there were plenty blooming flowers over September long weekend.

This venue is SPECTACULAR. My husband and I are both from Washington state but now live on the east coast. The Admiral’s House was the perfect mix of a beautiful, historic homes you can find on the east coast, set right on the water with incredible views of the city and Elliott Bay (to show off why Seattle is the BEST city in the country to our out-of-towners). Bill was really easy to work with and very responsive. It was definitely worth the investment – we couldn’t have been happier or had a better venue for a day that we will never forget.

The Columbia Tower Club offers a stunning 360-degree panoramic view of Seattle from its observation deck, located 73 stories up and nearly 1,000 feet high. The view includes iconic landmarks such as Mt. Baker, Bellevue, the Cascade Mountains, Mt. Rainier, Elliott Bay, the Olympic Mountains, and the Space Needle. The club provides a casual atmosphere with ample seating during the daytime and courteous staff who offer excellent food and drinks at their well-stocked bar.
We came from Vancouver for new year. Fantastic venue ! We’ve been there for Gatsby NYE 2025 . The service was excellent, music was the best ( best band , Alica & DJ as well ). Food was very good , lots of finger food, cheese table & sea food table & dessert, Very nice atmosphere & best view for fire works. Definitely will be back again.

Cheapest co-working space in town and an amazingly diverse and inclusive community. Less than $300 a month gets you a full co working table for you and your coworkers, not just in Seattle, but at every major city club around the country. Cheap parking options, $3 breakfast buffet, and daily free happy hour snacks. Complimentary/highly discounted events galore all year round and family friendly too. I was a member for a number of years serving on several boards where they constantly brought me free appetizers and entrees. I paid an extra $25 a month for a wine locker which included an amazing monthly free wine tasting where I, and a whole host of a diverse group of folx, could get a HUGE discount on wines straight from the distributors, oftentimes with them leaving free wine in my locker. Main advice I have; it's a member's only club for you and your guests, so if you're going to use it, use it often! The dress code was pretty lax, given the trends towards recruiting west coast tech, so I get it. A really all-inclusive, all-community, all-gender environment. 10 out of 10 would recommend!

Great service. When they overcooked a filet, they corrected it and removed the charge. 🙌 There were some inconsistencies in the menu that could improve. The Spaghetti Nero is a squid ink or seaweed pasta, but it wasn't described on the menu, and my wife had problems digesting it. The smash burger was fine. The charcuterie board was bountiful. The drinks were fantastic. Plush furniture. Found some neat corkscrew artifacts. Great views all around; and that's why this is an incredible spot and puts it literally above other restaurants. 😁

Visited CTC. The Columbia Tower Club offers breathtaking panoramic views of Seattle, enhancing any dining or social experience. The upscale ambiance is complemented by exceptional service and a diverse menu that caters to a variety of tastes. It's an ideal venue for networking events, business meetings, or special celebrations. Overall, it's a premium club that delivers both in atmosphere and quality.

After a gap of three years due to changes and the pandemic, I recently revisited the Columbia Tower and noticed significant changes, particularly in the club area. The layout has been redone, and new furniture has been added. They have also expanded the working areas. While I observed a slight improvement in service, the quality of the food has declined, and they no longer offer complimentary appetizers during happy hour. Unfortunately, even though we were only seven minutes past happy hour, they were not flexible with the happy hour menu. Additionally, prices have increased across the board. I was disappointed to find the bathroom in an unclean state, which was quite unpleasant. However, the stunning view from the tower remains as captivating as ever.

Union Station, located in Seattle's International District, is a historic train station dating back to 1910. Originally serving the Union Pacific Railroad and the Milwaukee Road, it ceased passenger service in 1971. The building has been repurposed into an office space and event venue while retaining its original architectural features. Despite its impressive design, some visitors have noted a sketchy atmosphere outside due to the presence of homeless individuals. However, others find the area busy and exciting with captivating architecture worth exploring.
Can’t say enough about how much I’ve loved the Light Rail in Seattle. Really going out rod there way to make it user friendly, safe, and architecturally enjoyable. The staff are very visible and present and I’ve never gotten anything but amazing, thoughtful, and friendly help. I actually left my cell phone on the train on my last trip and was able to retrieve it 4 days later.

I think you're going to like it here. A little bit old. Nostalgic. Best place to board Amtrak in the city. Plenty of tracks. A few people wander aimlessly around, but that's the charm of the place. Most of them are honestly lost.

What a beautiful station. Glad decided to travel by train. The check in counter is through a door which is marked Tickets. You can check in your bags at the same counter.

I gave it 5 star cos several security guards on duties so it is safe to go in. Building date backed 1911. Renovated with history to learn. The best is washroom. Not modern but it is so so clean and felt very comfortable. Not hesitation to recommend to visit. I had been Seattle any times and never had a chance to visit. Finally, I made it.

First time here it’s a historic place when long distance transportation is only available by trains.

Beautiful building with friendly staff. There are no services here besides a snack and beverage machine. This is fine for a short wait, however when Amtrak is over 7 hours late it gets tedious.

So I haven't gone inside yet but my friend lives right across the street practically. The pictures are from across the street. I will take a few more soon. I'll also see if I can venture inside the building and check it out. Then I'll update my post with new information!

Nestled in the vibrant Belltown neighborhood of downtown Seattle, Block 41 is a stunning wedding venue that beautifully marries history with modern elegance. Originally a 1920s ice warehouse, this unique space boasts an "industrial chic" aesthetic that offers endless customization options for your special day. With two spacious floors and an inviting outdoor courtyard, it can comfortably accommodate around 275 guests while ensuring everything flows effortlessly.
Josh and I hosted our wedding at Block41. Not only is the space beautiful but Don makes the experience, all the more worth it. He is relaxed, personable, hard working and caring… To say the least! So much of me wants to invite him and his family out for drinks, post our event. He is truly lovely to work with and I will be referring everyone to Don and his Block41 space, for any event. Thank you, Don.

We hosted our wedding here with 260+ guests, a food truck, and a live band and it was AMAZING! The ability to use both floors PLUS the courtyard made this venue equally spacious but intimate depending on what was needed and what your guests were looking for! Don was such a great person to work with. He is so helpful, supportive, and is very solution-oriented. I cannot say enough great things about him. He truly looks out for you and is a great host! Block 41 definitely made our dreams come true and we can't recommend it enough. Thanks Don!

We hosted our Celebration of Women in Sports event at Block 41, and it was nothing short of exceptional. From start to finish, the experience was seamless, professional, and deeply supportive. The venue itself is stunning—modern, versatile, and thoughtfully designed to accommodate both intimate moments and large-scale celebrations with ease. What truly sets Block 41 apart is their unparalleled customer service. The team went above and beyond to ensure every detail was executed flawlessly. They were responsive, flexible, and genuinely invested in the success of our event. From initial planning through to day-of logistics, we felt supported every step of the way. Their preferred vendor partners were equally impressive creative, reliable, and in perfect sync with the venue’s high standards. It felt like a true collaboration, and the result was an unforgettable evening for all involved. Dsquared and Blue Danube specifically. We highly recommend Block 41 to anyone looking for a venue that combines elegance, functionality, and world-class service. It was the perfect space to celebrate powerful women in sports, and we can’t wait to return.

We loved EVERYTHING about having our wedding at Block 41 in August 2022! The venue itself is stunning -- its "industrial chic" aesthetic was exactly what we were looking for and gives you lots of options to customize the look if you wish. It also includes many built-in amenities that help take your event to the next level (our DJ said it was an A/V dream!). The fact that Block 41 has two floors as well as the outdoor courtyard made it the perfect place to host our ~275 guests with everything running seamlessly. Beyond the venue itself, Heli, our point of contact, was a dream to work with -- responsive, flexible, friendly and experienced. She helped us with many aspects of the planning process and was there making sure everything went perfectly on the big day. We would 100% choose Block 41 again, and we recommend it to anyone looking to have a beautiful event in a super convenient Belltown location!

Nestled in Seattle's vibrant Georgetown neighborhood, the Georgetown Ballroom is a unique and charming event space that beautifully blends its historical roots with modern amenities. Originally a warehouse garage and later the Mission Theater, this eclectic venue can accommodate up to 300 guests. Its inviting atmosphere is enhanced by colorful hanging lanterns, neon signage above the stage, and exposed brick walls that add character to any gathering.
My sister's wedding was here this past weekend. Nancy was amazing in keeping us as close to schedule as possible. She was friendly and kept the energy up despite minor details being off (not related to the venue). Staff was great. Dinner was amazing! Only bummer was the pouring rain so the outdoor space wasn't utilized and the tacos truck was missed by many guests (it was in the courtyard).

We had our wedding at Georgetown ballroom and it was the most wonderful experience. Our event manager, Nancy, was beyond incredible along with the whole GTB team. We had planned for about a year and Nancy was with us through every step and allowed us to have as many meetings as we needed to feel comfortable. Nancy is super organized and had checklists and timelines and seriously I cannot say enough positive things about Nancy. Our wedding was so smooth and wonderful and honestly was nearly perfect! The food they provided was outstanding and my husband and I along with many friends and family have a lot of dietary restrictions and they accommodated no problem(including gluten free, dairy free, shellfish, and many more). The drinks at the bar were tasty and they were able to do a custom drink for our wedding. We have heard from multiple guests that this was the best wedding they have ever been to and I want to give credit where credit is due and that is Nancy and the whole GTB team.

Hands down some of the most professional and organized staff I have ever seen for an event! On top of that, the venue was gorgeous and food was unbelievable. I had multiple guests come up to me during and after to tell me this was their favorite wedding venue they've ever been to. The folks at Georgetown really made our wedding better than we could have ever imagined and on the actual wedding day, they made sure to take care of absolutely everything for us to make sure we could just enjoy the moment. I would give 6+ stars if I could.

BEST. DECISION. EVER. From the first venue tour to the goodbyes on the big day, my husband Joey and I knew we were in fantastic hands the whole time. Danielle and the entire Georgetown Ballroom staff were key in the night going exactly as expected, and they really couldn't have done better in my opinion. From kindly answering way-too-early questions of mine to accommodating extremely last-minute needs, Danielle never once made me feel silly or stressed. She was such a superstar to work with the entire time, juggled a bunch of plan changes, and all while really helping us remember that this was our day and it should be how we wanted. If you and your partner in crime are looking for a funky venue with personality, an amazing staff, and yummy food, all for extremely reasonable prices (especially for Seattle), Georgetown Ballroom is your place. This may sound like a paid review but that's just how awesome of an experience we had. Cheers, and congrats to all the future couples who choose this magnificent venue to mark the start of their forever!

Georgetown Ballroom was an amazing place to get married! Danielle was wonderful during the whole process, making sure everything we wanted was in place, asking follow up questions when necessary, and sending us updates along the way. Day of, Danielle, Nancy, and the whole staff were so kind and efficient. We loved the space itself: two separate rooms for eating and bar/dancing, two spacious suites for both partners, plenty of bathrooms, and a private courtyard that we and our guests absolutely loved. While all of our wedding events were indoors (which we preferred so we didn’t have to worry about weather!), the courtyard was such a nice place to step outside or sit and chat without having to leave the venue. The bar was well run and the food was super! We also went with their flowers rather than an outside vendor, and we’re so happy we did. The arrangements, boutonnieres, and corsages were amazing, and the florist included fresh mint in the bouquets, which made for such a delightful touch. Danielle recommended great vendors who knew the space and also did an excellent job. We’re so happy we went with Georgetown Ballroom and we’ll be recommending it to anyone we can!

We held our wedding here and had the best experience possible! Danielle helped us through the entire process during planning and made it all feel so easy. She was always available to work with vendors and answer questions. The day of was so smooth. We of course got caught up with trying to say hello to all our guests but her staff made sure we sat down and ate and always were checking in on us. We couldn’t have asked for a better day and so much if it being so great was due to the GTBR!!

We had our party here for almost 70 guests. We, and our guests, had so much fun. We know this from all the positive feedback we got about how great the venue, staff, and food were. The process from touring, booking, planning, through to the actual event day was so easy. Nancy was a delight to work with as she was personable, professional, helpful, patient, and her suggestions/advice made our event run smoothly without any issues. Highly recommended!

We had our mother's 100th birthday party here a few weeks ago and it was fantastic. The venue was beautifully decorated and the wonderful staff made sure everything - music and video, access, parking, bar and the great food - was perfect! Thanks so much to Nancy, who was so great at the pre-planning and day of the event oversight - she was a godsend! Her calm demeanor made our party for nearly 100 stress free. And the rest of the crew was so wonderful throughout, always facilitating and joyful in sharing such a special day with us! Everyone took so much pride in making sure we had a great time. Thank you Georgetown Ballroom! We will always be grateful to you for this day and for providing Mom a memory that she will always cherish.

Nestled in the heart of Seattle, The Ruins is a stunning mansion wedding venue that effortlessly combines vintage charm with modern elegance. As you step inside, you're greeted by an enchanting atmosphere filled with whimsical details and vibrant decor. The ornate European-style ballroom dazzles with crystal chandeliers and hand-painted walls, while the lush courtyard entrance leads to a beautifully accented parlor.
I recently worked at The Ruins as a photographer, and wow — what a unique space. It’s full of charm, layered details, and just the right amount of quirky, historic character — every corner gave me something fresh to work with. The team behind the scenes is incredible - impressively organized, kind, and on top of every detail. Their calm, professional energy made the entire day flow so smoothly — which, as someone who witnesses many moving pieces on a wedding day, I deeply appreciate. For couples who want character over copy-paste — this one delivers!

The Ruins was such an incredible choice for our wedding. Not only is it an unique and memorable venue, but the staff is absolutely incredible. They were immediately on top of all of our needs, being both friendly and attentive. The flow of the wedding was great from one room to another; it just flowed seamlessly. On top of that, the staff was a joy to have there. When we saw that they were enjoying the music near the end of the night, we invited them out to the dance floor to join the group. And even while they were hyping up the fun, the venue stayed spotless. They also continued to keep the venue tidy as the evening wore on. I never saw spent glasses or plates piling up, and it always felt as if we had just arrived. The dinner was also impeccable and all of the guests said everything was delicious. We had the braised short ribs, the cedar plank salmon, and little coconut cream pies that were all delicious and greatly enjoyed by all our guests. If you get a chance I can't recommend this venue enough. It was fantastic for us and our 90 guests. The photos for this review were taken Sarah Kusz Weddings and she is also fantastic and familiar with The Ruins!

As a wedding photographer, I’ve seen a lot of venues—but The Ruins in Seattle truly stands out as one of my all-time favorites. We had the chance to photograph many weddings there, and I was absolutely blown away by the space, the staff, and the overall experience. One of the couples we worked with had gotten engaged in Paris and wanted their wedding to reflect that romantic, European flair. The Ruins, with its opulent, maximalist style and stunning hand-painted ballroom, was the perfect fit. Every room felt like stepping into a different storybook, and the attention to detail in the decor made for the most magical, photo-ready moments. Their guests were wow’d at every turn—it was truly an experience, not just an event. From a vendor perspective, the staff couldn’t have been better. Friendly, helpful, and incredibly accommodating. The on-site coordinator, Ruby, is a total gem! Even when a few minor hiccups popped up (as they always do), she handled everything with grace and efficiency, keeping the day running smoothly and stress-free for everyone involved. If you're a couple looking for a unique, visually rich venue that feels intimate, whimsical, and timeless all at once—The Ruins is it. It’s gorgeous year-round, and from a photography standpoint, it’s an absolute dream.

I’ve had the privilege of performing at countless venues, but The Ruins in Seattle truly stands out as one of the most magical and professional spaces I’ve worked in. From the moment I arrived, the staff was warm, attentive, and incredibly organized—making setup and coordination smooth from start to finish. Their attention to detail and commitment to excellence made it easy for me to focus on what I do best: keeping the energy high and the dance floor packed. Every vendor I encountered—from catering to event planning—brought their A-game. Communication was seamless, timelines were clear, and the collaborative spirit between everyone ensured the couple’s big day was absolutely flawless. Not to mention, the venue itself is stunning—a hidden gem with charm, elegance, and character around every corner. If you’re considering The Ruins for your wedding or special event, I can’t recommend it highly enough. Five stars all the way!

The Ruins is a venue like no other—a place where fantasy, romance, and whimsy come together to create something truly magical. Stepping into The Ruins feels like entering an upscale carnival dreamland, with its vibrant, eclectic design and enchanting atmosphere. It’s the perfect setting for couples who want a wedding that’s both unique and unforgettable. As a photographer, I love the beautiful, well-lit spots inside the venue. Every corner has its own charm, from the colorful walls to the intricate details that make every shot feel special. Plus, there are great options for portraits outside the venue, giving couples even more variety for their photos. The reception hall is an absolute standout. With its lively stage and artfully colorful walls, it’s the perfect backdrop for an epic celebration. The space really comes alive during a party, creating an atmosphere that’s full of energy and joy. The staff at The Ruins is just as amazing as the venue itself. They’re helpful, attentive, and truly committed to making sure everything runs smoothly. Their professionalism and teamwork make it a joy to work here. Located on Pier 59 along Elliott Bay, the Seattle Aquarium is a popular waterfront destination offering interactive exhibits and virtual reality shows. As a non-profit organization, it serves as the premier resource for marine experiences and conservation education in the Pacific Northwest. Visitors can explore the diverse sea life of the region while learning about conservation efforts through various educational programs. The aquarium provides an exciting way to discover more about Puget Sound and the world's oceans, making it a must-visit indoor attraction in Seattle.
We’re annual members and visit every couple of months, and while it’s not an all-day outing (we usually stay under an hour with our toddler), it’s always a great experience. The staff are kind and welcoming, the events are fun, and we love the early member days when they open a little early. Above all, we’ve had so many magical moments here, like the scuba diver pausing to wave at our daughter. It’s those little touches and experiences that keep us coming back. A big thank you to the staff

Seattle Aquarium is a spot I like to visit when i travel to Seattle. It’s so pretty inside the building! The animals look like they’re healthy and are treated well. I believe my biggest issue with the aquarium is the fact that there’s not really a lot to see even with the Ocean Pavilion added onto the price. A lot of the stuff that they have is really cool and fun. You get to touch some of the animals as well. But it doesn’t seem like the quantity of animals equal the price of admission. I understand having to keep the aquarium funded. However, $80 for two people is just so much especially when there’s not a lot to do. Lastly, I will say, for the most part, the staff were nice however, others were a little interesting. We entered the building because the front door was open and we walked in. Multiple employees looked at us, but didn’t say anything so we didn’t think anything of it. Until one of them with a little bit of a raise voice said “oh we’re not open yet”. It was literally 30 seconds till opening. I can understand not wanting to have anyone in there but at the same time we could wait in the line until it was officially opened. It was very odd and rubbed me the wrong way. Other than that, go on a weekday, it’s cheaper. Because the usual price is $100 or more for two people.
Samantha F — Google review
Awesome! The aquarium has two parts. In one, you can have an interactive experience and touch the sea urchins and other things. You can also see some jellyfish and other pretty small animals. In the other park, you can see some sharks and whales and seals and stingrays. When you are entering, you may see a large tub of whales and other large aquatic animals above you. Overall, this is a very, very, very, VERY good aquarium!
Eli G — Google review
Overall I think that this experience was fun and interesting but definitely not worth the price. If you have extra cash lying around and want to explore Seattle more then I would suggest this! But, it is not a make or break experience if you are visiting Seattle. You are able to see an octopus, fish, otters, even an interactive area— where you can touch starfish and other sea life alike. Something that could level up the aquarium is either adding another animal or simply decreasing the price by $5-$10.. I went with two other people and the consensus was that it is simply too expensive. While I can not attest to the quality before renovations, as I did not visit before, currently I do not think it is worth the money :(

Such a wonderful place! The ocean pavilion is incredibly well designed, watching all the fish in the large tank is such a fun experience. I enjoy the touch pool area where you get to interact with the sea creatures. The octopus is very fun, I recommend going to the 11am feeding. He gets very active then. I had a lot of fun by the closer look table where you get to see microscopic creatures in the water they take right from the pier! Who knew baby barnacles were so cute.
Nikolett M — Google review
We visited the Seattle Aquarium around noon on a Wednesday so it wasn't super crowded. When you first enter, there is an interactive experience where you can dip your hands into a tidepool and touch sea urchins, starfish etc. Around the same area are exhibits for jellyfish and an octopus. Further in, you can view larger animals such as otters, seals, sharks, stingrays etc. However, we were sadly unable to see any harbor seals or river otters as the habitats were empty. After all the exhibits there are 2 gift shops with various souvenirs but the plushies were really cute! Overall, I'd say we had a relatively good experience and might visit again at a later date.

Smith Tower, the oldest skyscraper in Seattle, was completed in 1914 and was once the tallest building west of the Mississippi until 1931. The neoclassical tower exudes stateliness and prestige, offering visitors a chance to explore its history through exhibits on the first and second floors before taking an elevator to the 35th-floor observatory deck. This deck features a unique bell or dome shape with curved railings that provide stunning views of the city.
After much reflection, I decided to review this hidden gem in Seattle. My son and I made Same day online reservations for a Monday afternoon viewing while dining at a nearby Irish bar. When you enter the lobby before the elevator, you will go back in time to see and hear how Smith Tower came to be, with photos, exhibits, and interactive items. You then take the classic gilded elevator with an operator to the 35th floor, where a beautiful Speak Easy bar and restaurant await you. You then walk to the open but gated 360-degree observation deck of the city and bay. My son and I were the only two tourists there for almost 30 minutes. It's windy, so watch your hat and your phone. After the observatory, we had superbly made cocktails and enjoyed conversation with our server in the restaurant. He said the venue is busier during the summer season, when many cruisers visit. I wanted to keep it a secret because other locals had mentioned how much nicer and less crowded it was than the needle. It is so lovely and classy, and it was a good experience so I had to share. I recommend a weekday afternoon visit, giving yourself 1-2 hours. The tickets were $25 each.

We had such a great time at the Smith Tower! We have loved this building for years and we finally decided to go inside! We took the tour with Richard and loved hearing all the history and seeing a few extra things not on the self-guided tour. He was very knowledgable and funny and made the tour very enjoyable. We stopped for dinner and drinks at the top at sunset and it was magical! The food was just okay, but everything else was just lovely.

This was actually my second time visiting the Smith Tower, but it was my boyfriend’s first and since he’s already been up the Space Needle, I wanted to show him that this historic spot also offers some seriously cool views of Seattle. What’s even more impressive is that at one point, Smith Tower was actually the tallest skyscraper in the West! One thing I love about this place is how well they’ve preserved its old-school charm, especially the elevators. They still have an operator who manually controls the lift, and there’s even a display of the original green Otis elevator motor in the lobby, the same kind that powered the elevators for over a century! The operator told us there’s a tenant who lives above the observatory, which blew my mind. The rent was originally a whopping $17,000 a month, but the tenant apparently negotiated down to $14,000 since there’s no A/C up there. Talk about living in style with a historic discount! Once you reach the top, there’s a bar where you can grab a cocktail and enjoy the view. As you walk around the observatory deck, there are plaques pointing out different Seattle landmarks, so you can easily spot everything from Mt. Rainier to Lumen Field and Lake Washington. It makes the 360 deg view even more interactive and helps you appreciate just how much of the city you can see from up there. Pro tip: They don’t open until noon, so if you’re planning to go early, you’ll end up waiting downstairs. Otherwise, grab a drink, take your time, and soak in one of the best vintage views Seattle has to offer.

Great view, they have some really nice seating and their servers are fun and attentive. The cocktail selection is great. The history of the tower is neat being the oldest part of downtown Seattle in Pioneer Square.

I have wanted to visit the historic Smith Tower for the longest time and finally got the opportunity. As a Washington resident, my cost was a reasonable $10. It was easy to purchase from a kiosk upon entry. I love old buildings and this one didn’t disappoint. I was able to take a bank elevator up to the 35th floor and was pleasantly surprised to walk into a lounge where drinks and small bites are served. I was directed to the doors that opened to the outside deck which took me all the way around the building. There is a sturdy metal guardrail for safety and the views were spectacular. I recommend taking the time to visit this site.

The Smith building was Seattle's first skyscraper and once was the tallest building west of the Mississippi River. Tickets are required to reach the observation deck or have a drink in the bar on the top floor. Along the hallways leading to the last elevator that is an express to the top of the Smith building is a series of rooms that host period pieces of equipment like a switchboard and a display featuring the office of Mr. Smith who built the building and was a partner in the Smith Corona typewriter company. You ride to the observation deck in the building's original elevator (that has been updated with modern equipment). You can still see each floor through the metal cage of the elevator car and use the original handle that used to move the cables suspending the cage. There is even an elevator operator dressed in the wardrobe of the 1920's. From the top deck you can see all around the downtown skyline and out over the Seattle docks and ferry piers. As you take in the views you are transported back in time when bootleggers and speak easy's provided the backdrop for the businesses that occupied various office space in the Smith building. This is a must for history buffs and visitors to experience the other side of Seattle away from the Space Needle.

This is 10000000x better than the space needle and it's half the price. Awesome history, beautiful architecture, and very friendly/ helpful staff. There's a beautiful Chinese themed cocktail bar and restaurant on the top floor. We had 4 cocktails and a few small plates while enjoying a great view of Mt rainier on a clear day. I've done space needle and the Columbia tower observation deck and this is by bar the best way to get great panoramic views of Seattle while enjoying a nice drink and some food.
Brad J — Google review
Loved the historic vibe and the stunning 360° views from the top! The vintage elevator and speakeasy-style bar are a great touch. I appreciated that they offered a non-alcoholic drink option, but when I ordered the drink that I was interested in, the waiter stated that they didn't have it. I ended up ordering a glass of champagne (9 oz for $30). I ordered a salad. However, the salad was disappointing—too much dressing and way too much lettuce. I ended up returning the salad. Overall, it’s a unique spot worth visiting, especially for the ambiance and view. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Westward is a popular restaurant and bar located on the north shore of Lake Union, offering Mediterranean-inspired cuisine with a focus on seafood. The establishment features nautical-style decor and stunning views of the lake and cityscape from every seat in the restaurant. Guests can enjoy innovative dishes that combine Northwest and Mediterranean flavors, prepared using fresh ingredients and seasonal produce. The venue also boasts a large deck, fire pit, beach area, and a 150-foot dock for boat parking or kayaking.
First time at Westward for a birthday brunch over the holiday weekend. The outside seating and water views are great. I had the clam dip and crab roll which was amazing! They make the roll in house and it was almost like a croissant roll. Would highly recommend that one if you go for brunch. Excellent service all around as well.

Tasty brunch, and don't forget you're paying for the excellent waterside ambiance as well. Have been for dinner a couple times as well, and would recommend the pork chop if they have it.

Sunday brunch starts at 10 and parking fairly easy across the street. Known for views and paddlers coming across. Food is eclectic and plenty of seafood options. Portions smallish for the price, large plates are small. Note that many dishes can be spicy, with fresno and jalapenos. Service first thing is slow and coffee is lightly brewed. But not bad, reservations with credit card needed. Check out Gasworks brewing next door.

If i had to rate the food only, this would be a 5-star review. But for the overall experience, i can't ignore the outrageous prices. Two starters, two main dishes, desert and two drinks should not cost north of $300. I know this is Seattle and you pay for the ambience and view, but our table was a shared community table inside without direct water view. In addition to the already high prices, a 22% service fee was included in the bill. We asked if this covers the tip and were told - no. So we had to leave a tip in addition to that fee. This should really be around $130-150 plus tax and fee, but we paid $350 for two people. Otherwise, very good service, halibut was very good (but tiny for the price tag of $50). Both raw and grilled oysters were very good and so was the clams bowl.
Kirk I — Google review
I came here for oysters — they were small but very sweet and fresh! During happy hour, they were $3 each, and I ordered 25 of them for two people. However, I didn’t like that they charged extra for all the sauces, even though the oysters were already $3 each. They should also mention that ketchup is charged separately for the potato fries — I thought it was included as a house condiment. By the way, the server was friendly and polite, and I appreciated their great service, so I still left an extra tip even though a 22% service charge was already included in the bill. The sunset view was beautiful and made the experience even better.

This was the most wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon. No mostly by locals if you wanna get some excellent oysters and enjoy a little bit of lake life. From here you can pull up on a boat or paddleboard in or of course drive like I did - parking is limited. The servers are friendly and prompt, and the oysters were fresh and delicious. We tried several different options and had a few cocktails. They make an excellent Aperol Spritz. We enjoyed the seating right next to the dock in Adirondack chairs not the easiest to eat from but definitely great for enjoying the view.

Highly Disappointing Lunch—Expensive, Unsatisfying Food, and Poor Availability My friend and I visited Westward last weekend for lunch, and unfortunately, the meal was far from satisfying. Considering Westward's reputation as a seafood establishment, we were immediately disappointed to learn that the Crab Roll was already sold out at 12:00 PM (noon). This level of unavailability for a signature seafood item is unacceptable, especially at the start of the lunch service. We ordered four dishes, none of which met the expected standard for a restaurant at this price point: * Spicy Clam Dip & Potato Chips ($18): This was the most shocking. It was essentially store-bought potato chips served with a very ordinary dip. Charging this much for such a simple, unremarkable item felt like a significant rip-off. * Chicory Salad($24): The salad was decent, but it was over-dressed with too much vinegar, making it overly sour and difficult to enjoy after a few bites. * Smoked Halibut Rillettes($36): The portion was incredibly small, and the dish itself was unfortunately very untastable (lacked flavor and appeal). * Braised Pork Birria($33): To make matters worse, we waited a shocking 40 minutes for this main course, only to find it was merely 'just-so-so' and barely edible. Overall, we paid around $150 for a lunch we simply did not enjoy. The combination of high prices, poor food quality, frustrating item unavailability, and the extremely long wait for a subpar main dish meant the experience was terrible. If I hadn't used dining credits from a credit card, I would be even more upset about this expense. I will not be dining here again and cannot recommend it.

Waterways Cruises and Events operates a fleet of luxury yachts offering narrated sightseeing cruises around Lake Union and Lake Washington in Seattle. The tours provide stunning views of the city, Space Needle, Mount Rainier, and the famous houseboat from 'Sleepless in Seattle.' The company also offers dinner cruises with great food, as well as lunch, brunch, and wine pairing events.
We had a fabulous time on the Bingo cruise! The view was terrific and the narration of the tour around Lake Union was so interesting. The staff was super friendly and helpful and the Captain even let us into the pilot house! We had tons of fun playing Bingo. The food was fantastic! We highly recommend this cruise, and we will definitely be back!

Mixed feelings with this dinner cruise. We didn't go to Lake Washington as they claimed it was too windy so we were pretty bummed. In my opinion it wasn't, and there weren't even white caps. Winds were 10 to 15 mph at best but I'm not the captain. The food was not cooked properly. 2 of us got steak and it was medium rare at best. I know some claim medium well is a sin but some of us just don't like rare. Then the salmon was way undercooked, almost raw. To their credit they did cook the steaks longer and then brought us out two new salmon entrees and comped the sparking cider bottle we got. The staff was very nice about the food issues and apologized. The views and the length of time on the boat were the best part of this cruise.

Nice day for early evening cruise from Lake Union, through the Montlake Cut to Lake Washington and back. Crew very friendly and helpful. Seeing the houseboats and people enjoying the day at Gasworks Park was nice. Boat itself is in average condition with rusty paint in places. Windows are insufferably dirty. It cannot be that difficult to clean before a trip. Food was buffet style with excellent caesar salad, mashed potatoes, macaroni & cheese (kids loved it), broccolini and a chicken dish that was okay. If you drink alcohol, be prepared for the pricing. Would recommend to friends with a condition that it is a boat ride with food and not a classy cruise ship.

Our dinner cruise was exceptional. Staff was very friendly, our meal was great, and the views were spectacular. We got to see Seattle from a different perspective.

Overall, it’s a decent experience and worth trying at least once, but there are a few things to note: 1. Virtually every single table is by the window, so there is no point in paying the extra fee for a window seat. Even with the tables which aren’t by the window, the boat is so small and the layout is as such that a window seat doesn’t even offer any advantage. This is definitely an unusually deceptive/low brow upsell tactic, imo. Dont pay for it 2. The food is fine, it’s a rather elementary 3 course meal and imo they didn’t serve enough carbs but overall it’s fine. Alcohol was a bit expensive. We got the chicken and salmon and both were pretty tasty. 3. The boat ride itself is quite nice. It sets off at the perfect time. You can walk around the boat and enjoy the sunset/evening views. It’s a smooth ride and the experience is enjoyable. The views and perspective of lake Union and lake Washington are very unique and worth the price Overall, a nice experience and worth trying once. The staff are nice and the views are gorgeous.

Our group of four loved the Sunday brunch cruise! The boat was easy to find and we were welcomed on by the captain and quickly seated and greeted by Gary our server. Food was delicious and the drinks were good. It was a beautiful sunny day in November to enjoy cruising around Lake Washington. The captain chimed in over the intercom with interesting facts throughout the two hours, but it didn't feel cheesy or overbearing. Loved sitting up on the deck coming back into the harbour. Highly recommend!

Cutter in 1904, it stands out against the modern cityscape, with the F5 Tower towering behind it. The venue offers elegant interiors with 14 rooms and a unique 1920s exterior brick design, making it an exceptional choice for events like weddings.
Lovely, historical building. Attended a symposium here. Everything from the furniture to the art work & photographs on the wall evokes a bygone salon era. The huge fireplace is spectacular & there's a hint of fresh burning wood that permeates the area. I hear they smoke salmon in there on occasion! The women's restroom upstairs has fantastic lighting in the powder area. The in house kitchen catered lunch & dinner for our symposium, & the food was delicicious!! If I lived in the area, I would join this club in a heart beat. It would be a great place to hang out after work for a drink & good conversation.

I visited as a reciprocal member from Vancouver Club and was pleasantly surprised. I sat in the Beller Bar by myself and met a few friendly people. One member offered to give us a tour of the building. The building is gorgeous, and I love the enormous fireplace!! I have pretty high expectations of food being from Vancouver, but at least the food here was extremely affordable!! I also love the concept of the community table with a sign to explain it's for meeting new friends.

We joined the Rainier Club last spring and I can't say enough positive things about it. We've attended amazing book reviews, lectures, movies, dances and fabulous dinners. The Rainier Club has changed for a great deal since I was introduced to it 20+ years ago. It's so many things to a lot of people, but what they excel at is making all the members feel like they belong. Also, the staff is incredible. They truly make the experience of being there something special. We love visiting the bars (Beller & Troyer) and the dining room is amazing. If you are curious about joining a social club, I highly recommend you reach out and take a tour. Ask for Weston!

We are reciprocal members and often stay here when we are in Seattle. They have a few guest rooms, a full gym, a lounge, a bar and a dining room. The dress is business casual all days but Saturday. The food and drink are excellent! The staff are always friendly. The club is very close to Link. If you have a chance to go, don't turn it down!

A truly historic masterpiece. This club wins with ideal location, exceptional facilities, kind staff, and a wealth of amenities. Their inclusivity comes across with diverse leadership, and yet everyone still maintains an approachability that screams success. As a wedding planner, I’ve had the privilege of working with many venues, but the Rainier Club truly stands out. The staff here are exceptional, their level of hospitality and genuine care is a cut above the rest. From the first conversation to the final detail, they go out of their way to make both clients and vendors feel supported. It’s rare to find a team so consistently professional, attentive, and warm. Their thoughtfulness elevates every event, and I always know that when I recommend the Rainier Club, my couples will be in the best of hands. I cannot recommend this venue and their staff highly enough, it’s a gem in Seattle!

Nestled in the heart of Downtown Tacoma, Court in the Square is a revitalized historic post office building that has transformed into a vibrant hub for culture and creativity. Since its purchase in 2012, this stunning venue has become a sought-after destination for both work and leisure, thanks to collaborative efforts with local artists and entrepreneurs. The space boasts an impressive 72,000 square feet filled with thriving businesses and lively gatherings where guests can enjoy open-air cocktails or celebrate special occasions like weddings.
As a wedding photographer, I had the opportunity to work at Court in the Square a handful of times over the past decade, and recently came back for one of their first weddings after the change in ownership. The transformation of the historic Pioneer Square venue is so impressive. Under new management, Court in the Square is more special than ever. The massive interior, with its exposed brick walls and balconied windows, provides plenty of room for larger events and makes you feel like you’re in Brooklyn. Oh, and the rooftop is the icing on the cake. Jaime and the Europa team are deeply invested in the success of each event, with Jaime's attention to detail creating a seamless experience. Court in the Square has truly come into its own, living up to its full potential as an epic space to get married.

We had our wedding here and the venue was stunning for our floral/city theme. We loved how it was indoors in case of rain but still looked 'outdoors'. Luckily we had great weather and were able to open the roof which allowed the venue to stay at a comfy temp. We didn't have to spend too much on decor since the venue comes already with string lights and plants and floor lighting. Our photographer got great shots on the rooftop as well as the venue and nearby Occidental Square. Jaime and Amber were very responsive and helpful throughout the entire process!

Magic is the best way to describe our wedding day, and we weren't the only ones who thought so. Guests raved about Court in the Square and said that they felt like they were in a dream. Jamie and Jaime came together and adapted a ton of details for our wedding day. We chose flawless crafted cocktails, we did our "entrance" through the balcony and entered into a beautifully arranged room. If you want to work with a team that will go above and beyond to make your unique goals a reality, I recommend them. We were able to meet with them many times prior to the event to work out details and get questions answered. Additionally, this space has so much potential and creates such a warm atmosphere. We wanted an urban wedding that still felt intimate and welcoming- that's exactly what we got!

I recently attended an event at this venue and was appalled by the rude treatment from the staff, especially Jaimie. From the start, we were treated as inconveniences rather than guests. Jaimie was condescending and unprofessional, setting a terrible example for the rest of the staff, who followed suit with poor service and bad attitudes. The pervasive rudeness ruined the experience, and I cannot recommend this venue until significant changes are made. Avoid this place if you want to be treated with respect.

Kubota Garden is a 20-acre Japanese-style garden located in Seattle, Washington. It has been operated as a city park since 1987 and showcases the vision and dedication of Fujitaro Kubota, who began building it in 1927. The garden features a variety of landscapes including hills, valleys, streams, waterfalls, ponds, and rock outcroppings. With an extensive collection of plants and meticulous landscaping, the garden offers visitors a serene and harmonious experience.
This botanical garden is amazingly large, given its urban setting. Tastefully laid out and wonderfully serene. The water features and plants are a draw enough, but my favorite aspect of the garden is the incredible maze of trails throughout the entire space. This is the sort of place that kids and kids-at-heart will relish. Around every corner is a slightly hidden path up and down through the trees, interconnecting around large bushes and over the water. This is a gem of a place for sure, and it's free to access. There is a small parking lot at the entrance.

Loved this place, found it very peaceful, quiet, and relaxing. This place is insanely beautiful and massive. It just keeps going and going. Thought we'd be able to see it all but ran out of time, maybe next time. It's a good waking place for all ages and tons to see and take in. Kids will probably like the fish they have there in the ponds. There are tons of cool bridges to cross over and paths that feel like you're in a whole other world. Truly is a work of art, and I'm thankful that this place is here. Grate place for portrait photos or nature photos. Loved being able to walk and explore at no cost. Cool that it doesn't cost any money.

Such a wonderful way to spend a few hours. Hard to believe this is a free (donations encouraged) City run park, bigger and with more trails than even the Japanese Garden within the Washington Park Arboretum. While there aren't too many flowers blooming in the fall, the changing leaves make for spectacular vista. So many ponds and bridges and little creek crossings make this place feel like your own personal hidden garden. Take some snacks and find one of the many picnic spots to relax for awhile. Highly recommend visiting!

The garden is stunning and beautiful. It's so much bigger than the Japanese garden in the Arboretum in Seattle and very well designed. The fall colors were in full show today and we were very glad we went. Even managed to get a nice shot of the iconic Japanese maple. Parking was slightly challenging but patience helped and by the time we left around 1:30 pm a lot more slots had opened up. Definitely worth a visit and please take the time to donate to ensure the organization can keep the garden accessible to the public.

Peaceful, Lush, and Absolutely Breathtaking Kubota Garden is a hidden gem in Seattle. The Japanese maples alone are worth the visit—lush, sculptural, and glowing with color in every season. The entire space is so thoughtfully designed, blending natural Pacific Northwest beauty with serene Japanese landscaping. My first trip here was in the summer, and the trees were all beautifully shaped, and there were a lot of beautiful flowers. Friends have told me the spring is the best time to come to see maximum flowers. I walked the gardens early in the morning and I saw only one other couple. There are live koi in a pond. There is a view into thr city from one hill. If you wander without a map, you could spend well over an hour meandering around the trails. Coming from different directions, the same trail will look completely different. When youre inside the park, its hard to believe you're in Seattle.

Lake Union is a charming freshwater lake in Seattle, offering a popular boating destination and hosting an annual wooden boat festival. Visitors can enjoy free sailing experiences at the Center for Wooden Boats on Sundays, where they can embark on various vessels with volunteer skippers and crew. The Hiram M. Chittenden Locks in Ballard connect Lake Union to Puget Sound, while the surrounding neighborhoods like Fremont and University District offer unique attractions such as eclectic art installations and hip stores.
I live next to this lake and this is the best view I’ve seen so far. This place is amazing and one can do various activities like kayaking, Boating, seaplane, sun bath, etc. Recommend this to all the tourists.

Highly suggest paddle boarding here! Went on a Tuesday evening and the lake was filled with sailboats and paddle boards. You get great views of the skyline, bridges, and the sun setting over a bridge too.

Nestled in the heart of downtown Seattle, Frolik Kitchen + Cocktails is a vibrant New American hotspot that promises an unforgettable experience. Located on the fifth floor of the Motif Hotel, this trendy venue boasts a spacious patio adorned with string lights and fire pits, offering stunning skyline views that are perfect for unwinding after a long day. The atmosphere is lively yet cozy, making it an ideal spot for both locals and visitors to gather.
The food was very good. The prices were not too bad before they added the 20% service charge that only 5% goes to the staff and 15% goes to the hotel. The service was good. We had chips and salsa and Motif burgers.

Everything was fantastic! The burger was definitely in the top 5 burgers I’ve ever had, super flavorful, the fries were crisp but soft in the right way. We also got the turkey blt. Fresh think slices of turkey, generous amount of bacon, the veggies were fresh. The salad was also very fresh with house made ranch. Our server was very attentive even with all the tables he had. Polite, friendly, quick! I will definitely be back.

As of July 2025... there are some renovations happening around the area. So for now, Frolik is at a temporary location. The setup is just ok. Nothing special. So the food is pretty good I would say. The smashburger was very delicious! There is a nice bar in the middle of the restaurant too. I believe for what you get, this place is a little too pricey.

Came at 3pm for happy hour on a rainy Friday and people did not start arriving till 6pm. It was perfect. We started out in the tent- it was cold. We were in the dining/ couch lounge area it was fabulous. Loved the vibes. Loved the service. Loved the quiet. The FROLIK BURGER IS EQUIVALENT TO A TASTIER BIG MAC... but better. All the happy hour items were greatly filling

Stayed at the adjoining hotel (Hilton Motif) and the mandatory destination fee included a $10 food credit and 2 drinks at Frolik. It was the first time our wine was served in a non-stemware glass! Had an appetizer of artichoke and smoked gouda dip with chips, which was tasty. The artichoke pieces in the dip added a nice texture. Also had the cheesecake dessert, which had a cappuccino sauce and crunchy caramel bits for the topping. We found Frolik to be a nice way to cap off a busy day or evening. It had a quiet ambience on a Sunday evening. Staff were friendly and attentive.

Came here for a drink and some food and was not disappointed. The bartender, Chris I believe, was amazing! Had the Mule which tasted like pear and was great! We had both types of burgers as well! They took a second to come out but were worth it. The ambiance was great and I really enjoyed the look

Stoneburner is a striking restaurant located in the Hotel Ballard, offering a Mediterranean menu and trendy cocktails. The establishment, created by Deming Maclise and James Weimann, features an ambiance reminiscent of early 20th-century New York with polished hardwoods and vintage glass.
One of the best Italian restaurants in Seattle! I love going here at summer when the outdoor seating has a wondrous atmosphere. For starters, make sure to get the garlic bread. It isn’t like your average garlic bread but instead thick sourdough slices with a delectable dip. The pizza is a must and is wood fired to perfection. My party also loved the vegetables. Highly recommend.

Great experience overall! Restaurant provides a variety menu. The food is delicious and is presented beautifully and the proportion sizes are good. The interior of the restaurant is unique and provides lots of space for guests rather it’s a small or large group. The service is great, attentive and the staff provide helpful feedback on the menus. I loved my experience here and the food was definitely memorable. Highly recommended this amazing restaurant!

Had a tasty drink here off their holiday menu. The Caesar salad was good, the pasta was good, the pizza was about a 5. Sorta boring, and expected a little more. The service was outstanding! Sat in a booth outside and it was toasty and a lovely evening.

Went on a busy Friday night - we made reservations, but wait times around 7pm were up to an hour and there was a growing waitlist. The service is friendly and attentive, we ordered our regular favourites (olives, gem lettuce salad, Dutch fries, pepperoni pizza), which were all fantastic. Buzzy vibe that’s great in the summer, or on a cozy chill night!

We ordered the pizza, which was delicious with a perfectly crispy crust, and the gnocchi, which was just okay. I would have loved to see more salad and appetizer options, but overall, we had a great experience.

Sat outside on a Ballard Market day and it was great to eat brunch and watch everyone wander through. Good airflow for the covid conscious, not just a plastic box outside, but enough that rain won't blow on you. Heaters will placed around the space. Food was solidly good. The Dutch baby was good even is singed edges.

The London Plane is a bright, wine-bar styled cafe with small plates in an airy modern space. It has a country-house aesthetic and food reflects owner Matt Dillon's passions - bold salads, lots of cultured dairy, extraordinary brown bread for spreading and plenty of vinegar counterpoints. Don't miss the bakery's outstanding slices of strawberry cake or gateau Basque.
I had a great experience at the London Plane ordering Quiche of the day, Croissant, and Green Eggs and Ham. Simply, fabulous. The brand experience of this place was amazing. Never experienced any cafe with this much transparency, food quality, and welcoming atmosphere. They truly know their customers extension of experiences. Food was amazing, croissant was crisp on the outside with enough chewy dough and not extremely buttery. Green Eggs and Ham tasted amazing with perfectly cooked scramble, potatoes and seasoned ham that harmonized with the green sauce. Bit zesty as well. There were flowers, cards, and kitchen goods in store to look around. They were all amazing! Little pricey in my opinion, but definitely eye-catching. I would love to comeback here in the future.

Simple menu but very tasty breakfast sandwich a d boiled egg. Lovely setting and location. I wish there was espresso drinks but the drip coffee was decent. A little bit pricey but good quality ingredients. The only thing I was to excited about was the side salad for the breakfast sandwich didn't add anything to my meal.

This spot is super cool and very European feeling! It is a great spot in Pioneer Square! I had the green eggs and ham and a raspberry lime soda, which were both delicious. I gave it 4 stars because I made a reservation and somehow they couldn’t find it because they said their system doesn’t sync well with online reservations. They also were out of 2 dishes on the menu and the menu is quite small. I wanted the daily quiche and they said there were all out, but then 15 minutes later they walked out with more of it for other costumers. Overall it was a nice place for lunch and the service was good.

Wonderful decor. Yummy pastries. Delicious food. With a bit of Mediterranean flavors in the food, it’s an amazing place to discover new spins in classic brunch dishes. The decor was beautiful when you walk in and if it’s too busy, you can always grab a coffee and a kouign amman or a croissant to go

I usually don’t give negative reviews but I had a bad experience here. This dine in and take out restaurant is conveniently located downtown. We came across this while doing a Seattle tour and caught a everyone’s attention because of beautiful and trendy this place looked. My friends and I were super excited about having breakfast here. The wait time was extremely long but we were lucky enough to be seated before hand. The wait time was terrible when we ordered our coffees. There was no communication between the server and us to let us know she was short staffed. We had to get up and find her to ask about our coffee. As soon as she got our coffee our came out. The food super disgusting and bland. Everyone from the table after eating our food got sick minutes of eating. I would never come and try this place again unless it’s for a cup of coffee.

Best pastries I've had in Seattle after sampling at least 10 bakeries this month. The outdoor seating was really cute, and they have a wide selection of artisanal ingredients for sale. I went here because I read somewhere that they had great sourdough, but the woman at the cash register said they didn't make fresh bread anymore. I did spot some in the back (see picture) so not sure what's up with that
Maggie W — Google review
It was definitely delicious and I will return! Not the cheapest place but it is what it is. The breads were thick and delicious and worth the price. Some of the sides... Not so much. They didn't have London fogs on the menu (how???) but they were still able to make them for us. Decent service. I definitely want to return here just as a place to chill and read a book but I'm not sure if it really acts as a cafe as everyone else was eating full meals. There's a cute shop on the one side of it though with cool wares.

The park's elevated vantage point provides sweeping easterly vistas of the Salish Sea and downtown Seattle, making it an ideal location for celebrations and photography.
Small park with a magnificent view of downtown Seattle skyline. The park is very simple; there aren't a lot of amenities except for a row of parking spaces. The foliage does obscure the view somewhat as well. Nevertheless, the scenery is very much worth the effort of coming here.

We just had a brief visit but it was a nice spot to eat some good and enjoy the view. There was good parking and some benches plus a pay telescope for looking closer. A few other people were there at the same time and it was a nice atmosphere. The entrance took me by surprise even looking for it and I missed it the first time. I didn't see much to the park, but it was nice nonetheless.

Beautiful green space at the North tip of West Seattle with a fantastic view of the downtown skyline. It's not an easy breezy hike up to the view point but along the way the views are pretty good too! Excellent place to meet sunset with a beautiful lake view between you and the downtown Seattle. Made me wish I brought a good camera to capture this view point better, but oh well. Parsons Gardens is a charming 0.4-acre public garden located on Queen Anne's south slope in Seattle. The park offers a peaceful oasis with its lush greenery, manicured lawns, benches, and colorful flowers like rhododendrons and camellias.
Wonderful place a wedding ceremony!! Booking was easy through the Seattle Parks website and park was well maintained. Only thing was the portable toilet that was supposed to be there for our guests had a lock on it and the park worker had no keys and no one to contact. Thankful this was a quick ceremony so it was alright.

A very quiet, peaceful garden tucked away near the intersection in the Queen Anne area. I heard birds chirping melodically in the background, and the trees offered just enough shade to make it feel like you’re being gently hugged by nature. It seems to be a regular spot for local residents to walk their dogs, adding to its calm, neighborhood charm. I’d definitely come back here for a cute little picnic.
Angela ( — Google review
Parsons Gardens offered the perfect spot for our wedding ceremony! We loved the romantic willow tree for the setting. The garden seems small but is actually quite large and fit 75 people with lots of extra space. There are nice winding paths around the main meadow that offer lots of locations for photos. The weather was absolutely perfect in July and the beautiful flowers were still in bloom. The vibrant garden made some epic photos, and we were able to spend less on flowers. We initially booked from 4-7pm, but once it was the month of our date we were able to also book 3-4pm, which was very helpful for extra set up time. There were also easy and obvious spots for the buses to drop people off. Over highly recommend!!

The garden looks pretty ordinary to me. It's quiet but doesn't give you the sense of seclusion since it's rather small. I guess you have to visit at the right time of the year (and of the day) to see the best of it because some other people's pictures looks great. For me, I'd rather take the break across the street with a view of the bay.

Ray's Boathouse is a long-standing dockside restaurant and cafe located in the Ballard neighborhood along Shilshole Bay, offering stunning views of the water and mountains. Originally starting as a coffee and bait shop in the 1930s, it has evolved into one of the best seafood restaurants in Seattle.
Food tastes absolutely amazing. It's a fancy place by the water, you can reserve a table for special occasions and they will prepare your table with little card. I went for my anniversary with my boyfriend, it was cute. However, we were a little bit disappointed by the food portion compared to the pricey cost. At the end, it's a good place with delicious food, sea view and friendly staff. They're all so caring and professional.

While visiting Seattle, we were in search of classic, non-fried seafood with a great waterfront setting—and we found exactly that at Ray’s Boathouse. Ray’s delivers delicious, high-quality seafood with breathtaking views that’ll have you planning your next visit before you even leave. The service is top-notch, the staff are genuinely welcoming, and the extensive wine list complements the menu perfectly. If you can, reserve a table by the water and time your visit for sunset—it’s an experience you won’t forget. Parking can be a bit tight, and while they do accept walk-ins, reservations are highly recommended as the place gets busy. Come for the food, stay for the view. You won’t regret it. Thank me later.

We came here from our hotel in downtown, was a longer drive than expected. Decided to order the bread plate (not included but worth it) , the bacon wrapped scallops, arugula salad, fish and chips, and salmon. Scallops were not bad but we probably liked that dish the least. The other three were really good!Fresh ingredients. Yummy sauces, well presented, service was good. Ambience was mediocre but the view is quite nice! For dessert we ordered cookies pannacotta and coffee (all of these were just mediocre).
Steven S — Google review
I absolutely loved the Monae (non alcoholic drink). The seafood were ok - quite pricy for the portion and the taste. None of the fish was seasoned well and was relying on the sauce to get flavor, but it’s not a good balance and does not bring out the fish’s natural flavor. The albacore with pear puree was so overpowered by the sauce and the texture was overpowered by nuts on top. The ambiance was absolutely great. The service was ok.
Connie C — Google review
Amazing food, service, and atmosphere. We had a blast dining here and enjoying the view of beautiful sunset. We got oysters, arugula salads, mussels, bacon-wrapped scallop and octopus as appetizers. The sauce of mussels is curry-like with a hint of tom yum soup, which is really special. For the mains we got applewood sablefish, halibut and ribeye. We loved every single dish and sablefish is my personal favorite. Highly recommended!
Ch Y — Google review
If you’re looking for that perfect mix of elegance, ocean breeze, and unforgettable flavors, Ray’s Boathouse is it. Nestled on the Ballard waterfront, this elevated dining experience offers a scenic view of Seattle’s coastline that transforms into pure magic at sunset. Picture this: a fiery orange sky melting into the sea. Yes, it’s that breathtaking. The appetizers were a sensory joy—beautifully plated and bursting with flavor. Every course felt like it was composed by a culinary artist. And the drinks menu? Practically a liquid novel. I dabbled in margaritas, mimosas, and whiskey—don’t judge, it was a vibe. Each sip just elevated the evening even more. The ambiance, the food, the drinks... everything was exceptional. I left not just full but fully impressed. I’m already plotting a return to explore the rooftop on the second floor. Trust me, this spot is an easy yes for a date night, girls’ night, or “just because” indulgence.

We enjoyed delicious happy hour cocktails at the bar while waiting for a (granted) very specific seating request. I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Washington Athletic Club as an affiliate club guest while in Seattle, and I wanted to share my experience. First off, the check-in process was a breeze—easy and efficient, which is always a plus after a long day of travel. We booked two connected rooms, which was a fantastic setup. They were linked by a private corridor that had a door requiring room key access, giving us a nice suite-like feel that added a bit of privacy to our stay. Parking was convenient too, with a secure lot just a block and a half away from the club. It was reassuring to know our vehicle was safe. I did find the bar to be a bit limiting for our group since it was 21 and up, which meant we had to look elsewhere for a more accommodating atmosphere. The cafeteria offered a variety of options, which was great for quick meals. It felt like a safe bet for us, especially after exploring the city. The pool, while small, was still good for getting in some exercise, and I appreciated having that option. The gym facilities were a bit of a mixed bag, though. They were spread out over different levels, and when I asked one of the gym receptionists for directions to the equipment, he wasn’t very helpful. It would have been nice to have clearer signage or more assistance. On the positive side, the track and basketball court were decent, even if they showed some signs of age. The hotel rooms themselves were reasonably priced, which was a pleasant surprise. I also loved the coffee bar in the lobby, where you could grab small snacks and even alcohol—definitely a nice touch. One thing to note is that while Seattle has always felt relatively safe in my past visits, this trip had a slightly sketchy vibe at times. I did feel a bit uneasy while walking in public areas, but I never felt unsafe in the hotel or the club itself, which was a relief. Overall, my stay at the Washington Athletic Club was enjoyable. It’s a solid choice for those looking for good accommodations in Seattle, especially if you appreciate a blend of convenience and comfort. Just be prepared for a bit of a walk to some attractions, but places like Nordstrom are only about a 10-minute stroll away. In summary, the Washington Athletic Club provided a good balance of comfort, safety, and convenience, making it a viable option for visitors to Seattle. While there were some minor drawbacks, such as the bar's age restriction and the gym's layout, the positives outweighed the negatives. The connected rooms and secure parking made for a pleasant stay, and I would consider returning in the future for another visit.

Love how organized they are. A whole building dedicated to members is like a playground! Make sure you spend the day here :) Parking for members are $18 for 6-8 hours and only a black away.

If you live and work downtown, you are missing out by not having a membership here. I find myself easily being able to spend hours here enjoying the expansive gymnasium, the pool, having a bite to eat, or working on my laptop in absolute comfort. The staff are extremely caring and accommodating as well. The club has emphasized itself as being a "home away from home" and it is a spot on representation. You can socialize, exercise, eat, relax in a sauna/hot tub/steam room, get a haircut, a massage, etc. The WAC truly provides and amazing in-between work and home that I didn't know I needed until I had it.

My husband and I got married at the Washington Athletic Club in May 2023. The staff were incredibly friendly and professional and took care of us and our wedding guests. The catering and events team were phenomenal (thank you Dave, Katie, and Jennifer!). We had a room block at the Inn at the WAC where the majority of our family and friends stayed during the wedding weekend. We loved the amenities and the proximity to downtown attractions and the airport. We can't recommend them enough for your wedding or special event.

Nice venue, professional staffs, good food. The portabello mushroom is amazing, and of course it's vegetarian. I was here for an engagement party and the host told me that the venue was free because they were members. We all enjoy the spacious and private arrangement. It can comfortably accommodate 120 people.

The hotel part had great service and the rooms were comfortable. The rooms are relatively smaller than what you'll find in most hotels but pretty consistent with boutique type hotels. Views from the rooms are decent. One of the best amenities was access to the entire athletic club facilities. The facilities are spread over multiple floors with multiple workout area (some gender specific), several fitness studios and classrooms, and several locker rooms. There is a pool and locker room hot tub. There are a couple saunas and a steam room as well. The staff are friendly and accommodating. There are also a few eateries and restaurant choices within the facility. Overall it was a great stay. Definitely worth the visit if you need a great place to stay and workout.

Ballard Elks Lodge #827 is a charming venue with a small beach nearby, offering a romantic and peaceful atmosphere for stargazing. The lodge has been hosting various events for over 50 years, featuring panoramic views of Shilshole Bay and Salmon. It's known for its welcoming staff and membership, making it an ideal place to hold events or simply enjoy the beautiful views of Puget Sound.
I've been playing gigs here once a month for many years. Nice stage. Two pianos! Great view! Tons of parking.

I think this is the fifth largest Elks Lodge in the US. Stunning views. Also, the average age here is early 50's as opposed to like 65 at most lodges. Their oldest member (Lois) is 101 years young. They have a good bar with a decent selection of food (ahi, burgers, salads, fish n chips, and a few pizzas to choose from). 2 bars with a good selection of spirits, rotating local beer and knowledgeable and friendly bar staff. This Lodge has a bevy of weekly, monthly and annual events, most of which bring in money for the various Elks charities. Some of Lodge #827's events include: King of Ballard, Trivia night, bingo (of course) including various themed dress up bingo(s), Monday night cribbage, monthly wine club (tasting) as well as various music and/or dancing events throughout the year. This location also has a paddling club that operates races (All paddle craft welcome) as well as a non-race social paddle on Monday nights from May to September and a variety of events throughout the rest of the year.

Funny that they believe in god but discriminate against their brothers and sisters who aren’t a US citizen. Also, Their organization was created by an immigrant. Just funny. I don’t think god approves this if they actually believe in the Bible. It sounds like a cult if anything.

Nice place to hold any event... Depending on your budget, it's a bit expensive but the volunteers set up all the tables and chairs up. Beautiful view of the Puget sound

Beautiful club location. It's worth coming every night to watch the sun set. They become.....family. When you become a member....your family grows. The food is good and half the cost to restaurants, so is alcohol. Not only that, they raise money to help people.

Nestled in the heart of Seattle, Cathedral stands out as a stunning wedding venue that captures the essence of romance and community spirit. Spanning 4,000 square feet, it accommodates up to 170 guests for standing events or 120 for seated dinners, making it an ideal choice for couples looking to celebrate their love. One of its unique features is a full kitchen that allows couples to collaborate with their preferred caterers and vendors, fostering a personalized touch on their special day.
Photographed a wedding here in 2023, and it was top notch! The large glass windows make for lovely natural light, while deeper inside allows for use of mixed lighting. The blend of brick, rustic wood, antique lighting fixtures, leather barstools...this place is very cool all around for photos. Add candles and flowers, and this venue is one of the best wedding venues around. If you're planning your wedding and looking for a venue rental, visit this one! Bonus points to them because they donate a boatload to charities (check that out on their website, really impressive!).

We had the most wonderful experience having our wedding at Cathedral Ballard! The space was incredibly bright due to the huge windows, the exposed brick was lovely, and the candles were stunning. This venue is exceptional for so many reasons: not only is it a non-profit venue, but they light over 100 candles for your event and provide so many things that you would typically need to rent at other venues (chairs, tables, glassware, etc.). Also there are so many things for your guests to do in downtown Ballard if your wedding is mainly out-of-town guests like ours was. Nate and the team were so kind and thoughtful throughout the entire process. We are so grateful we had the opportunity to spend our special day at Cathedral Ballard - it was truly so special!!! :)

We couldn’t have asked for a better venue for our wedding welcome party! The space was the perfect casual setting for ~100 guests, with beautiful exposed brick that created such a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff was easy to work with and incredibly helpful throughout the process, making planning stress-free. We loved how flexible the venue was in adapting to all our needs, from layout to flow of the evening. Being able to bring in our own bartenders and customize our bar package added so much value and flexibility. Overall, it was the perfect spot to kick off our wedding weekend—we highly recommend it!

We hosted our rehearsal dinner at The Cathedral in Ballard, and it was absolutely incredible! The space itself is breathtaking—grand, elegant, and beautifully designed, which made the evening feel so special. Beyond the stunning setting, what really stood out was the staff. They were warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. From the moment we arrived, we felt supported and cared for, and our guests could not stop raving about both the venue and the service. If you’re looking for a venue that’s as impressive as it is welcoming, The Cathedral is the perfect choice.

We had our wedding rehearsal dinner at Cathedral, and it went perfectly. The restaurant is very spacious and well decorated, the communication from Nate, Valisa, and the rest of his team was frequent and clear, and we had no issues with catering, music, or any of the other details to make our 40 person event a success. The candles they make here are awesome too!

I cannot say enough good things about the Cathedral. Nate Stone, the owner, is so easy to work with and is a wonderful, kind human. He worked with us through 2 years of covid changes to help us ultimately throw the best wedding we could have ever imagined. The space is very well laid out. It features two large (upstairs and downstairs) bars, gorgeous floors, and exposed brick and is a lovely base for any decor. We had 75 people for a seated dinner, as well as a ceremony, dancing, and tons of fun in the space. I also love their mission; they donate 100% of their profits to charity. I highly recommend planning an event at the Cathedral!
Natalie A — Google review
Our small (50 person) wedding was one of the best nights of my life, thanks in large part to the crew and space at Cathedral! The communication with Nate, Valisa, and our on-site folks was beyond helpful - it was supportive and encouraging. The space is gorgeous on its own (especially with the 100’s of candles that they light for you the day of your event!), and we were able to add lots of DIY touches to make it extra special to us. But the best part is that renting this space actually contributes to good things in our community because they donate all of their profits to charity. What’s not to love?!? Thank you Cathedral team!

Hi There, I recently had my Wedding there We spent over 20K for room and setup Where they told me wedding planner is included in the package deal. However the wedding didn’t go as planned the planner didn’t do anything Literally nothing useless 1- the Waitresses didn’t know when and where to Serve Beverages, hors d'oeuvres or food. 2- Vendors ( videographer, photographer, DJ and Designer) No One ( Planner) contact them for hours and Direction they couldn’t even park in the park garage the elevator Required fob they parked on the street and unloaded their stuff. 3- the parking was Horrible because if the elevator again Required a fob nor stairs access my guest have to walk up the garage Ramp with dresses and heels outside in the rain to the main entrance. 4- the rooms were locked and the Designer couldn’t setup the Decoration on time I even paid for an extra hour to avoid any delays but again planner/ manager wasn’t there on time. 5- half of the cake Disappear had a big cake for 100 guests and I only have 48 guests they serve very Tiny thin slices was so Embarrassed. 6- they serve the main entree/dish in two part 20 minutes apart so half was eating and half watching. Overall the rooms and view are great but the service and management was awful. If you planning to host a wedding or party make sure to bring your own catering, planner, manager, elevator lol! Thanks for reading.

They closed the public parking garage too early. I got there waaay before their closing hours from what all the signs said. Was on the phone for hours trying to get someone to open the gate. Called after hours, no help, got security guards from all over, no help. Had to get an uber just to get to a place to stay. If i don't get a refund there will be an issue.

An event space that has a nice balance of a rustic and industrial feel with a garage door to open on nice days. I photographed a wedding there and the service of the staff there was prompt. Ashley, the venue manager did a wonderful job of running the event free of hiccups. My husband and I just had our wedding reception at Sole Repair Shop, and if we could give them a million stars we would. Michele, the venue coordinator, is so organized, responsive, and accommodating, and the venue itself is absolutely stunning. It hardly needed any added decorations. The service staff the night of was also incredible. We have to give a shoutout to Fendalene and Melissa behind the bar; so many of our guests commented about how amazing the service was, and Melissa kept seeking my husband and I out to deliver waters to us, as well as to take photos of us taking shots with our guests 🤣. Also, big thanks to the servers, Aracely and Patience, who kept food stocked at all times, dishes cleared, and knew how to bob and weave around a bunch of drunk people dancing all over the place! We have all of you to thank for giving us the best night of our lives, and our guests a night that was so incredibly fun and joyful!!

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Sole Repair in August this year. We loved it from the second we looked at it, and the venue, food, staff and atmosphere did not disappoint on the day. We had 75 guests with a buffet dinner and there was plenty of space for dancing, seating and tables. The food was spectacular, we got so many amazing comments, the staff serving drinks were efficient and super pleasant. Although everything was amazing the shining star of Sole Repair is Katie. We planned our Seattle wedding from Boston and working with Katie was THE BEST experience it was like chatting to a friend, effortless, easy and so much fun. She answered all our emails promptly and thoroughly, she was there whenever we needed her, she helped us with decorations and co-ordinating vendors and with our one off requests. She is kind, friendly and approachable which is exactly want you need on your wedding day, she was always smiling and it was a great comfort knowing she had everything under control. We had the best day of our lives at Sole Repair and could not recommend it more!

Back in 2013, I came for a visit to Seattle and saw this place in Pioneer Square and told my mom that I was going to get married here one day and this weekend I did. Bronwen was responsive through the booking and up to the date. She arrived early and was adorable! She took the time to ask us questions and get to know. She was pleasant and thoughtful throughout! She took care of the paperwork as well! We got married at Kerry park and the cost was the same for a ceremony at her cute chapel. Since weddings have never been my thing, this was a fun and affordable way to get married and include important details that you want without all of the other stuff! I'd say I'd use this place again but I hope to only get married once. lol Maybe a vow renewal in the future! This was awesome! Thank you so much for such a cute and personalized experience! :)

The King County Courthouse offers a range of services, including family law facilitation. Visitors have praised the efficient and helpful staff, particularly mentioning the excellent assistance provided by Kelsie Malyon. While parking can be challenging in the area, it's advisable to opt for paid parking to avoid any issues. Despite potential wait times, visitors have found the staff at metal detectors and registration to be courteous and helpful. Additionally, officers are willing to assist with directions within the courthouse.
As a wedding photographer, I visit the King County Courthouse frequently for wedding ceremonies. The building itself is beautiful, with stunning European‑style architecture on the first floor that makes for elegant photos. A couple of tips: arrive early to allow time for parking and the walk to the courthouse, as there aren’t many spots right around the building. The judges and staff are always kind and professional, making the experience smooth for both couples and photographers. For photographers: I recommend bringing a flash — the ceremony rooms can be quite dark with a yellowish tint from the office lighting. Still, it’s much better than most courthouses I’ve worked in. Do note that the area has a visible homeless population, which is common for this part of Seattle, though it hasn’t affected the safety or flow of the ceremonies I’ve photographed here.

They will help you but you have to put in the work. So far so good. There is a long line at times but understand that there are a LOT of people sometimes. Talk to your lawyer if you are unsure or look at their website for legal assistance. Better than most concerning civil issues.

Filed a small claim case last June that was not finalized until March of this year. The staff and clerks were helpful but the judicial side was agonizingly slow. 3 court appearances until a trial was held. A procedural issue took months to complete. The trial judge had just 2 cases in the morning and I felt rushed like going through a fast food drive in. Justice was not obtained speedily in my case.

No real free parking in the area. IF YOU ARE FROM OUT OF TOWN PLEASE PAY FOR PARKING IN A PARKING LOT. Seattle will tow your car in heartbeat! Even if your unsure how long you will be downtown it's still better to play it safe in a paid parking lot. The staff at the metal detectors were very helpful and courteous.

I received a call from Alicia Luke pertaining to a fine I owed. She was demeaning and rude like she was better then everyone. She was so rude and threatened me with further action when I was just trying to figure out how to pay the fine. She hung up on me multiple times and treated me terrible when asking a question. She also responded with "you should know this, why don't you know this already you have paperwork etc." She was zero help when she was the one that called me. Whoever her supervisor is needs to look into this further. It was completely unprofessional. We are all human; she needs a reality check.

The family law facilitator Kelsie Malyon was just excellent!!! She took care of our case which our lawyer abandoned. I hope Judge Paglisotti feels good about her decision to say Phillip was incompetent when the dozens of therapists who know him know that he isn't mentally ill, only a really good acting sociopath. No safety warning to me as a victim. Now he's back in Spokane picking up weapons off the street, stalking multiple people and making threats towards them. You saw physical evidence of him harassing me and violating his protection order and you gave him no sentence. He was in psych hospital for a week or two, got out and was immediately violent again. You gave the message with your actions that my son and I's life doesn't matter, and if anything happens to us, I'll be sure to have my family know that you didn't use the Tiffany Hill Act, do anything to protect us and were negligent. How many victim's families need to sue the state before they do anything to protect us?

Art museum
Museums
Seattle Art Museum, also known as SAM, is the largest visual arts institution in the Pacific Northwest. It consists of three entities: the main museum downtown, the nine-acre Olympic Sculpture Park, and the Seattle Asian Art Museum. The museum hosts special exhibits and a permanent collection of both current and classic artworks. With its extensive resources and scope, SAM can host grand-scale exhibitions featuring celebrated international artists.
Went on a Sunday and found free street parking right in front. You definitely want to spend more than a couple of hours here to really see and read about the details in the various exhibits. If you’re local to the area, they have so much programming for different ages throughout the year, it would be well worth it in my opinion to get a membership! Was really looking forward to the Ai Wei Wei exhibit, so glad I got to see it. There are special member only openings, creator talks, and early access for new exhibits. They are also very stroller friendly, if you’re planning to take a little one. My baby was looking all over I can’t wait to go again. There’s also a family area to read your child books they have provided there or just take a break from all the stimulation between exhibits. People have commented that it’s not as big as other metropolitan museums but honestly if you’re spending time even skimming the info between exhibits, you’ll be there a while. Check it out!

A pretty nice museum with a mix of cultural exhibits, including contemporary, Greek, African, and Asian pieces. While the variety is interesting, the overall collection feels limited—I wish the exhibits were more extensive. The café is a pleasant spot to relax. Parking is $10 on weekends with validation.

It was one of our favorite mother-daughter date nights! In fact, it would be an amazing any type of date night! We especially appreciated the cultural expression and historical and political innovations. Highly recommended. Beautifully exhibited and masterfully displayed.
Allyson C — Google review
Not large compared to other major museums, but still a worthwhile trip. The first gallery ranges from modern to impressionist to neo-classical, and the second gallery contains more ancient works. We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was not busy at all. You can get day-of tickets easily and enjoy free street parking nearby. To see both galleries would take about 2-3 hours, depending on your thoroughness.

First time visiting and was pleasantly surprised by the amazing pieces. I loved the ☁️ cloud display, the impressionists and modern contemporary were my absolute favorites.

The Seattle Art Museum is a must-visit destination for art enthusiasts! The museum's collection is impressive, with a diverse range of works from around the world. The exhibitions are well-curated, and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. However, be aware that the surrounding area can be a bit rough, particularly on 2nd and 3rd Avenues. There's a visible presence of homeless individuals and people struggling with addiction, which can be uncomfortable or even intimidating at times. Just be mindful of your surroundings and keep an eye on your belongings. Despite this, the museum itself is a wonderful oasis of art and culture. If you're in Seattle, it's definitely worth a visit. Plan your trip during peak hours or visit during special exhibitions to make the most of your experience. Overall, the Seattle Art Museum is a fantastic resource for the community, and I appreciate the efforts of the staff to maintain such a wonderful institution.

I’ve been coming here for years. Ai Wei Wei exhibit was great on first Thursday. Staff is very kind here and they have a good bookshop. Docking 1 star because it can be very crowded w people who don’t respect personal space or have small children touching priceless Ai Wei Wei pieces. I almost had to karate kick a 10 yo in the dome

Saw some cool exhibits with the African room being the most inspiring one! Also managed to get a discount due to visiting during the arts and culture week. Pretty cool :)

Nestled in the Capitol Hill neighborhood, Volunteer Park Conservatory is a historic Victorian-style greenhouse that boasts a diverse collection of plants from five different climates. Modeled after London's Crystal Palace, this lush conservatory offers an enchanting experience, especially on rainy winter days. Visitors can explore individual glass greenhouses dedicated to cacti, ferns, bromeliads, palms, and seasonal plants. Additionally, the nearby Volunteer Park Water Tower provides panoramic views of the city and its endemic flora.
What a surprise! Love this place. Saw so many beautiful plants and flowers we haven't seen before. $6 admission fee for adult. $4 for kids or students.

I recently visited the conservatory on the first Thursday of April. The conservatory has a bunch of pretty flowers and few cacti. It's was nice to walk around and spend some time here. This is a Victorian-style greenhouse, housing an extensive collection of exotic plants. Would highly recommend to check out this place if you are in the area. The park is great to stroll around or relax on a warm sunny day.

Awesome greenhouse. So many cool plants, some I've never seen, and so many that are very old. Many things were in bloom. I'll definitely come back some time. We went on May 3rd 2025 and there was a plant sale occurring around the back of the greenhouse.

Recently did a photo shoot here for a marriage proposal. It’s a lovely place — small but very charming. When we were there, it wasn’t crowded. You need to arrange the shoot in advance and be considerate of visitors. There’s a beautiful park nearby with more open space to continue the session.

Huge park with lots to do for just about everyone. It has a large British Victorian style Art Deco plant conservatory, a Museum of Asian Art, miles of trails amid lawns and flowers, lots of wildlife (ducks, songbirds, rabbits. . . You get the idea! It's definitely worth a visit!

What a wonderful Seattle gem. I always enjoy my visits here, they are short and sweet and I am always over the moon to be surrounded by their beautiful plants. This is a Victorian styled building located at Volunteer Park. It is filled to the brim with many varieties of orchids, ferns, pitcher plants, bromeliads, air plants and more. I fell in love with Staghorn ferns after seeing them here for the first time years ago. I also quite enjoy their cactus garden. They do have a sweet little gift shop with reasonably priced live plants, I managed to leave with only two of them today. We came specifically for the conservatory today but stay and enjoy all the other amazing things at Volunteer Park.

Cool and quiet place, nice plants! It's kinda small (You can tour it in like 15-20mins), or take your time and go slow

Bodies of Water
Lake Washington is the second largest natural lake in Washington and offers opportunities for sport fishing. The lake provides a stunning view of Seattle, with the Space Needle standing tall at the northern end and Mt. Rainier visible to the south. Surrounding the lake, outdoor activities like kayaking, hiking, camping, and whale watching are popular among locals and visitors. Additionally, nearby attractions such as the Olympic Mountains and Mount Rainier are easily accessible from the city.
It is such a big lake, what is more it provides beaches and bays and park around the lake to relax. I love the view around the lake, especially in Spring when trees show pink flowers. The lake in Summer is even more lively with all people going out and enjoy the sun. There are various activities and things to do here.

I went for an evening walk, and Washington Lake was absolutely breathtaking. The sunset painted the sky in shades of gold, orange, and pink, creating a perfect reflection on the water. The stillness of the lake and the cool evening breeze made the moment feel magical. Nature has such a beautiful way of reminding us to slow down and enjoy the little things. Truly a moment to cherish!

Guided Duck Boat tour Seattle on Lake Washington will always remain the highlight of a 2,000 mile road trip from Santa Rosa, CA to Seattle, WA, in 2016. The cruise worthy boat was skippered by a very knowledgeable tour guide. A bucket list is not complete without a Duck Boat tour of Seattle sailing along the shoreline of Lake Washington.
