Restaurant
Le Pichet is a charming French bistro and bar located in downtown Seattle, near the Pike Place Market. The cozy atmosphere and classic menu make you feel like you've been transported to Paris. The restaurant offers traditional French dishes such as moules frites, succulent roast chicken for two, country pate with greens, and seasonal plates like Courgettes farcies a la saucisse de porc.
The roasted chicken is so moist and tender, though the preparation time is 60mins, but absolutely worth the wait! The strip steak is also cook well and very delicious! Michael’s service is remarkable and he took really good care of us! He also provided us many recommendations! Excellent atmosphere, absolutely a memorable dinner for the 1st night in Seattle!!

Such a lovely little spot. If I ever imagine myself owning a restaurant it would be a little beauty like this one. Staff is warm, kind, and straightforward. We had cheese and meat to start. Beautiful wines (I adore the assortment of sizes you can order). The most beautifully cooked salmon I have ever had. Just the best.

Wonderful little bistro with outdoor seating options, My wife got a fish dish that she said was very good, and I had a cheese plate (WI Cheese head!) and we shared a meat plate (see photos). All the food (and my wine) was incredible. The baguette was Michelin star worthy.

A charming and authentic French restaurant tucked near Pike Place Market. We've visited twice for brunch and had a wonderful experience each time. The menu changes with the seasons, which makes every visit exciting and fresh. Highlights for us included the freshly squeezed orange juice, the flavorful sardine sandwich, and the delightful petite charcuterie board. The duck pâté is an absolute must-try, and the seasonal soup was light, balanced, and delicious. The service is warm and welcoming. The staff are not only friendly but also very knowledgeable—they offered thoughtful recommendations and excellent pairing suggestions. Overall, a fantastic dining experience. We’ll definitely be coming back

We had such a great dinner! We were able to get in before our 8:30 reservation. We ordered the chicken upon sitting down and liesurely tried the meats, the peppers and the Bibb salads. Jim, the owner, was our server and his recommendations were fabulous.

Excellent service and fine dining experience. Our servers Sam and Robert were exceptionally studious and considerate, catering to our needs while maintaining friendly and stylish professionalism you'd expect from only the best of local Seattle. The quality and preparation of the food is top notch. There are some wonderful techniques going on in the Le Pichet kitchen - culinary enthusiasts will be exceptionally pleased dining here. I look forward to returning and trying more. The atmosphere is refined yet comfortable and cozy. The menu is suitable for anyone to read, with plates and meal experience catered towards that of France. Fresh seafood, sauces, and house bread. The beverage selection is wonderful, covering a range of localities and taste profiles. Didn't have a chance to try desserts, but the selection included unique decadent and seasonal ingredients. With the location on a bustling downtown strip, expect traffic noise with outdoor seating and an urban dining setting. Our servers were well versed in providing a great and comfortable quality experience regardless. Reservations are recommended to secure preferred seating, and the staff goes above and beyond to serve everyone.

We went in here for a light lunch. My son chose the beetroot salad and it was just a plate of beetroot with 2 pecan nuts and less than a spoonful of blue cheese crumbled on it. It certainly wasn't a salad by any stretch of the imagination. He had to leave it half way through, and the smell was making me heave. My husband had a piece of quiche, no salad or anything else on the plate, just a piece of quiche for £14 which tasted average. I had a baguette which was very crusty and large and extremely dry, it needed something with it to help me to swallow it. Mayonnaise would have helped. The lemonade didn't appear on the menus we were given and when they brought it, there were three parts to it to basically construct yourself. Definitely a still lemonade. The toilets were a little confusing too, was the arrow pointing up the stairs or round the corner? You need to carry a large wooden spoon to unlock the doors. All a bit surreal.

Horrible service for such a nice place of food. Alexis made us feel like she was being tortured serving us. She rolled her eyes when we said we would like to choose 3 items for the grand assiette, while it is listed as "up to 5" but she wanted us to choos exactly 5. And the Asian lady was mean as well when showing us the table. You guys need to check your service to keep your customers. We brought our friends from out of state today and we felt very not welcomed. Sorry the chef works so hard and the waitresses ruined it all. We went for lunch on Sunday July 13

Cafe Campagne is a charming French bistro located in Post Alley at Pike Place Market. Since 1994, it has been celebrated for its classic French cuisine and cozy ambiance. The restaurant offers a delightful menu featuring divine egg dishes, legendary lamb burger, handcrafted charcuterie, steak frites, and roast trout. Whether you're there for breakfast, lunch, dinner or weekend brunch, Cafe Campagne's traditional food and wine will surely impress you.
We stopped here for brunch and didn’t have a reservation but were sat fairly quickly. The service was great. Loved the burger and the omelette. Everything was delicious and would definitely come again! This is a cute brunch or dinner spot.

Cafe Champagne is what I imagine a small french bistro should be. Great food which wasn’t heavy as you might expect French food would be. It’s a wonderful place for a relaxing lunch and glass of wine with a decidedly french low-key vibe.
Derek L — Google review
We had a great experience at Cafe Campagne tonight! We came early for our reservation due to other activities taking less time than expected and we were seated right away. The food and drinks were all fantastic and our waitress was wonderful. The atmosphere was very nice as well. Highly recommend!

Such a comfortable little French bistro cafe. Came in for lunch and loved the cozy vibes. Staff are amazingly friendly. Single handedly the best Crab Quiche I've ever had in my life.

Wow!!!!!!! My husband and I LOVED this place!!!!! My husband had the omelette. I had the ham and cheese sandwich with the French onion soup and we had a side of French toast. I know it sounds like a lot of food and it was what we had to try everything!!! It was absolutely delicious and we will be back!!!! I highly recommend this place!!

What a way to enjoy a day in Seattle Waterfront and Pikes Market! The brunch options are superb, great ambiance and service. Croquet Madam and Quiche Lorraine, awesome.

Café Champagne is such a gem in the city. The food is excellent, beautifully prepared, fresh, and full of flavor. Their French-inspired dishes are elegant without being pretentious, and the portions feel just right. The staff makes the experience even better; they are warm, attentive, and clearly care about creating a welcoming atmosphere. The café itself has a cozy yet refined vibe, perfect for anything from a casual lunch to a special night out. If you’re looking for a spot in Seattle with consistently delicious food and a great atmosphere, Café Champagne is absolutely worth it

French restaurant
Maximilien Restaurant is a charming French eatery nestled in the corner of Pike Place Market, offering stunning waterfront views and a serene atmosphere. The menu features classic French dishes such as duck and onion soup, escargots baked in garlic and parsley butter, and beef tenderloin with roasted bone marrow. Despite its proximity to the bustling market, this cozy hideaway provides a peaceful retreat with picturesque vistas of Seattle's waterfront, Puget Sound, and the Olympic Mountains.
This is definitely the "must-visit" if you're in the area and looking for a great place to eat. (We've tried other spots nearby that were disappointing.) The service was excellent, the drinks were spot on, and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. My husband even said it was one of the best foie gras dishes he’s ever had at a restaurant – and that’s really saying something!
Eve — Google review
I made a reservation far in advance for our 6 year anniversary dinner. We arrived a few min past our reservation time and the host gladly sat us down with no issues. We had a spectacular view of the Seattle waterfront. The service was top notch and we received a complimentary champagne to celebrate our anniversary - thank you! The food and drinks were amazing. Oysters, Escargots, The duck special, Vesper martini, Syrah wine, just hit the spot. I highly recommend this place and highly recommend making a reservation. This restaurant is quaint and has a charm to it.
Daniel L — Google review
Lovely French restaurant, great views, delicious food. I had the lamb chops on a bed of greens and my husband had the Chilean sea bass over greens and mushrooms. We both cleaned our plates - so, so yummy. My husband had the cheesecake for dessert and devoured every bite. Service is friendly and attentive. A very nice place for a special meal.
Heather S — Google review
Fantastic food, fantastic service, fantastic view. The waiter was really knowledgeable and delightful. I really appreciated the tidbit that the waiter shared that they import their bread and such from France instead of using American grains. As someone who doesn't tolerate American grains without consequences, but doesnt have issues with European breads this was a hugely pleasant surprise. All the food was excellent.
Kat C — Google review
A perfect and intimate date night spot! The location is right on the water and in the heart of Pikes place market! I would recommend making a reservation ahead of time if possible as the space is smaller and quite popular! Everything on the menu looked so fantastic and everything that we tried was delicious! The wait staff was kind and not overbearing which is nice as I’m someone who doesn’t like being interrupted often. Some reviews mentioned the ability to not change the tip option, but it was available and at no point was I told I couldn’t change the amount if so desired. The ambiance was very nice and I would definitely return for special occasions!
Lilly S — Google review
When coming to Seattle, this is definitely a must visit to put on your list! The service is excellent, and the food is absolutely amazing. The ambience and the absolute welcoming staff makes your experience that much more pleasant, no pretentious attitude, only the best wait staff and talented chefs around. This is our fifth visit with each being a business and also on a family event basis. The escargot and lamb dishes are one to behold and you have to take in their selection of cocktails and wine to accompany your meal. They also offer a baguette and butter that is flown in from France, which absolutely melts in your mouth! Another one in our party had the steak and also enjoyed the halibut dish which was cooked too perfection. But don't miss out on the French Onion soup - outstanding each time! The photos do not do it justice as you have to experience for yourself!
Troy T — Google review
I have to say, this is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to in terms of view and ambience. It is so cozy and quaint that it just pulls you towards it. The food was delightful and very fair in terms of price. I tried their Steak sandwich(forgive me for forgetting the right name) and tried their crab cake sandwich. They were stupendous. The service was a bit slow, just for our table, but I cannot let that get in the way of the review. Overall it was amazing. I would DEFINITELY recommend this place!!

Nestled in Pike Place Market, Place Pigalle offers a delightful combination of locally sourced French cuisine and breathtaking views of Puget Sound. The bistro exudes a charming French ambiance with its black-and-white floor tiles and cosmopolitan bar serving rare aperitifs. While it embraces its French roots, the eatery also showcases a Seattleite soul by highlighting Northwest seafood, particularly the renowned bacony steamed mussels served in a tangy balsamic near-gravy.
The food was delicious! We started with the pâté, which was quite different from the traditional French style, but still enjoyable. The escargots were cooked in olive oil instead of butter — a unique twist, yet still very tasty. The onion soup was excellent, the mussels had a different preparation but were good, and the bouillabaisse was flavorful and generous in size. Overall, we recommend the restaurant! It’s not super authentically French, but it’s charming and definitely worth a visit — plus, you get to enjoy a beautiful view of the Seattle port!
Maite D — Google review
The place was crowded since it's at good location in the middle of the Market Place, you need to park somewhere else to walk to the restaurant. The service was courteous. We ordered Seasonal Mixed Greens, Liver Pâté, Saffron Clam Chowder, Daily Salmon Special, and "Maple Leaf" Duck Confi. The salad was fresh and fine, the liver pate was not soft neither creamy as good as we had in recent trip to europe, I am very disappointed even I knew its duck and rabbit liver. The clam chowder was good and creamy, Saffron added a bit flavor on it. The salmon is okay but hardly to compare real Alaska fresh salmon since we just got off board from Alaska trip. Finally, it's the famous French signature dish duck confit, I can give it 6 of 10, the outside was not crispy enough and inside is not tender, the purée and sauce was okay.

Great lunch spot once we found where we were going. Service couldn’t have been nicer. Food was awesome. View was lovely out the window especially since it was a beautiful day.
Renee H — Google review
I’ve wanted to return to this intimate restaurant behind the hubbub of the fish mongers in Pike Place Market for many years. There are a few tables outside on a ledge before the entrance, but I was seated inside at a table next to a window facing Northwest, giving me a great view of the harbor. I opted for the warm beet salad ($19) and the duck confit (33). I left it to Nate (my server) to choose a white wine for the salad and a red to accompany the duck. He chose a 2024 Bordeaux Blanc from Chateau de Costis ($14) and a 2021 Pinot Noir from Coria Estates ($17, Willamette Valley). These are inexpensive wines, but they matched well with my dishes. The warm red and gold beets atop arugula, with candied walnuts, goat cheese from Cypress Grove, and a lemon-Dijon vinaigrette was perfect! The “Maple Leaf” Duck Confit was a crispy duck leg atop a butternut squash puree, with pieces of apple, some arugula and a cider gastrique was one of the best duck dishes in memory. Dessert was an espresso and an affogato. I realized when I returned home that Nate didn’t charge me for the dessert … Perhaps it was an oversight, but I’d like to think it was his way of apologizing for the lack of service initially. He mistakenly thought I was waiting for someone to join me, so I sat in the restaurant for quite a while initially. Whatever the case, I enjoyed my time at Place Pigalle and look forward to returning.
Gerard L — Google review
We expected to write a 5-star review, but sadly we can only give 3 stars for tonight’s meal. Sigh… We are somewhat regulars at Place Pigalle but have never gotten around to writing a review. We usually have lunch, but this review is for dinner on June 4, 2025. Pros: This is a Seattle institution that everyone must try at least once. The views are outstanding! Try for a window seat. The wine selection is very good. The onion soup is the best you’ll find anywhere. The Pate is wonderful for lunch or dinner. The beet salad is good. The French Dip sandwich which they apparently only serve at lunch at extraordinary! You must try it. The service is usually very nice, casual, yet professional. Friendly. Cons: Tonight’s experience though left us with sadness in our insides… it just wasn’t the same Place Pigalle that we’ve known for all these years. Three things stood out to us to make us speak out with this review. 1.) The Maple Leaf duck breast was swimming in a cheap chili sauce… the kind you buy at the supermarket. It wasn’t anywhere near their level of quality. The duck itself was perfectly cooked but the sauce was awful. Cheaply made but they still charge $47 for it. It was the first time we were not just dissatisfied but actually didn’t like it at all. It was awful. 2.) The mixed green salad, which we’ve had before, was limp and oily and without any flavor. That was sad too. 3.) What’s with the hip-hop, electronica music that is playing way too loudly? This is a French place… jazz, classical, ambient, whatever… just not electronica. Might as well be playing country/western. Gawd… Have they changed chefs? New management? We are very afraid that one of our favorite Seattle French food places has taken a turn for the worse. Please… stick to what made you the institution that we know you used to be! We want the old Place Pigalle back!
Steve D — Google review
Right in the heart of the Pike Place Market, this small, fine dining restaurant has excellent PNW seafood & French cuisine. Meal for two costed $90, with the Calamari Dijonnaise & “Anderson Ranches” Lamb Rack, which was done with pitachios. I'd never had that before and praised it !
Anupam S — Google review
OMG, such a wonderful experience and the staff provided us with a table with a view of Puget Sound that was incredible at sunset. The scallops were done to perfection. The unique cocktail menu is a must try. Crème Brûlée was a great final course….

We were brought here by a dear friend for lunch on our 31st wedding anniversary. Having never been it was a feast for the senses. The atmosphere was beautiful with views, and great things to see inside as well. We started with some bubbles, and then sampled a number of items from the menu. Each was skillfully prepared and a taste for the senses. I would highly recommend for any occasion, but it is especially suited for a romantic get away. Alex our server went above and beyond to make sure all of us had an experience to remember.

L'Oursin is a charming and bright restaurant located in the Central District, offering a unique blend of French-inspired dishes with a Northwestern twist. The space exudes a Parisian bistro vibe with its wood wainscoting and brass chairs. Chef JJ Proville puts an innovative spin on classic French cuisine by incorporating sustainable seafood like dungeness, lingcod, and coonstripe prawns.
Went for my anniversary and had a great meal, every dish was absolutely delicious and the service was the perfect mix of attentive but not overbaring. The drinks were also wonderful. We will be going back! Highly recommend the escargot and the goat cheese salad!

We ordered oysters, snails, fish and steak. From all of it the best were two first. Fish was with super sweet and having corn made it even more. You could not taste fish at all. The mint leaves helped to break the sweet flavor but I wouldn’t recommend it. Th steak was okay definitely better than fish dish. We ordered also two wines (red and white) both recommended to dish. The red one was very watery witb little bite. Not our fav. The anniversary candles on paper were weird.

We visited Loursin restaurant today, and from the very beginning, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Unlike some other reviews, we found the service to be genuinely hospitable. The food was delicious — a bit on the saltier side for my taste, but still very good. Our server, Jack, was helpful, attentive, and open to feedback. The onion soup was outstanding — even better than what we tried in Paris! Overall, the experience was great, though it’s on the pricier side with a 20% service charge included. A lovely evening and a great dining experience.
Ferial M — Google review
Overall, a very solid experience. Some of their items blew me away and some were very meh. Fair warning you will have to pay for bread, but ask your server if any of your other items you order come with bread because one of ours did and we also ordered the bread so we had so much leftover. The French onion soup was out of this world. They use a veal broth instead of a beef and it gave it such a deep umami taste and I would say it’s one of the best FOS I’ve ever had. I will also say we had a charred prawn dish in a compound butter sauce that was so to die for. It almost tasted like a tikka masala sauce and paired so well with the bread (this was the dish we ordered that came with its own bread). The biggest disappointment for us had to be the steak frites. They charge pretty hefty price for a rather cheap cut of meat (flank steak) but I was willing to bite because I’m a sucker for a steak frites. While many things on the menu were not overpriced for me this one absolutely was. You get a rather tough and cheap cut of meat for damn near 50 dollars. This is the only nice French restaurant I’ve been to that uses a flank steak for their steak frites and it’s honestly jarring. Mind you their only other steak entree was a 3 lb T-Bone priced at 175 which is impossible to share if you’re there as a couple. Avoid this entree and look at others. Definitely not a bad spot for French in Seattle.
Evan W — Google review
Tried this French restaurant, located in the Central District area. It is situated at the crossroads of First Hill, Capitol Hill and Central District. We tried various items on the menu, but probably should have sticked to the small plates. The XOXO TOMMY was recommended but I was not impressed with the drink. Should have trusted my gut and tried their version of the Espresso Martini instead. As for food, the salad and prawns were my favorite dishes. I was however disappointed with the steak-frites. Was expecting it to taste better, but the texture seemed off for me. Almost reminded me of roast beef but more rare. The sauce was not amazing either. I think if I go back, I would try their chicken instead. Also, we were there for our anniversary dinner and marked this on the Resy reservation, but it wasn’t acknowledged. We also specified the dietary preferences, but were still asked about it. I guess the info from the Resy reservation was either ignored or not received. Would have been nice if it was acknowledged to set-up the dinner. Overall, the food was great and will likely go back, but stick to smaller plates only.

Loved this place! The Burgundy snails were amazing — super flavorful and tender. They have a great wine selection, and the food is a nice mix of French style with a bit of American twist. Prices are on the higher side with a 20% service fee, but overall it’s totally worth it. Perfect spot for a date night.

We had an amazing meal with wonderful wait staff who were very helpful and gave us plenty of time to converse and enjoy all of the dishes. We ordered over half of the menu for our group of four and we're thoroughly sated. The oysters were as absolutely fresh and sweet as they could be. The pate, the tartar and the smelt were top notch.

They have good tasting tap water which was a good news because the tartar was very salty, or that’s what I thought until they brought out the french onion soup. Which had my weekly dose of sodium and was inedible.

Restaurant
Le Caviste is a charming wine bar in the Denny Triangle area, owned by local wine expert David Butler. The cozy space offers a romantic ambiance and an impressive selection of over 30 French red and white wines, all reasonably priced. The food menu features classic French bistro fare such as cheese, charcuterie, salads, and poisson en papillote. Guests can expect delightful surprises like beef tartare and choucroute garnie alongside the core offerings.
The feel is one an authentic French Bistro in Paris. Intimate place with table close together and bar seating. There is also outside seating. Large selection of wines that the staff is very knowledgeable about. Serves are attentive and sweet. The menu is on a chalk and they offer great suggestions so ask away. Service is fast. It is a popular place and on weekends can be hard to find a seat. Loved their mushroom dish. The smoked was OK but the salade with goat cheese is great. Lots of French bread! Nice find in downtown Seattle. Open very late.

After discovering this place during our last visit to Seattle, it was on our must visit list for this trip, and it did not disappoint! The small plates were fantastic, and love the availability of wines by the glass and bottle - all French - including all 10 Cru Beaujolais. The pairing of our wine with the poisson en papillote was fantastic, but it was the fourme d'ambert (blue) cheese with Breton Butter and Ratafia de Champenois that stole the show. Go here and let Dave and his wonderful team make recommendations and take care of you. You will not regret it.

This place is a gem! Fabulous wine and outstanding French culinary delicacies in downtown Seattle. By total chance we walked past this place and saw some cartons of French wine in the window. We came back to try it out and were totally not disappointed. The host David and his wonderful staff were brilliant. Between us we tried 8 wines from all over France by the very generous glass. ALL were absolutely delicious. David’s skill in choosing all these wonderful wines and importing them is outstanding. And the food offerings were extraordinary. Duck prosciutto was unbelievable and the goat cheese sublime. All very reasonably priced. We are from Australia on holiday in Seattle and this was our best experience in the city.

The wine selection here is amazing and the bites you can get are so delicious. I still dream about the olives and charcuterie. All the servers are super knowledgeable and always help me find a wine I like. It’s worth the wait for a table, and you are always made to feel welcome while you wait with a glass of wine to pass the time. It is always a treat to come here with the atmosphere and the wine/food selection!

We were walking by, smelt warm bread. Stopped in had a delicious salad and chartreuse meat and cheese board. They had a wonderful array of wines, I enjoyed the Bordeaux. The staff was pleasant, fast, and friendly. For a small little restaurant, they were full. I will definitely be back my son loved they're food.

We loved this place for a romantic dinner. There were excellent wine selections, from whites, reds, desserts, and simple, yet complimentary dishes and very rich cheeses to pair with. The atmosphere felt cozy, and nicely lit for a subtle candlelit environment. The service was average. I will say that one of the waitresses seemed slightly impatient, had an interesting tone and demeanor, as if she was portraying a superiority over our table with her wine knowledge, assuming that we didn't know anything about wines/regions. Oh well, we were cool anyways and just enjoyed our special dinner. Parking is tough as it is downtown, so plan accordingly.
Hannah T — Google review
Nice wine bar. Great wine selections, bread, butter, and cheese. The other food offerings are probably great, but I didn't try them. The atmosphere inside is loud, and the seating outside is made awkward because they have zip tied the chairs together forcing couples up sit shoulder to shoulder facing out.

Excellent service! Good atmosphere! This place has a great variety of French wines! I ordered a dessert wine called Macvin du Jura, and it was absolutely delicious! The planche Fermier was great! I added blue cheese, and it was a great complement. I absolutely love it! The butter and the bread were super tasty. This is a great wine place in downtown Seattle.

Bastille Cafe & Bar is a charming French bistro that whisks you away to the heart of Paris with its stylish vintage decor and seasonal menus. The ambiance is enchanting, featuring authentic 19th-century sconces from a French church and a clock salvaged from a Paris metro station. Guests can indulge in delectable dishes like moules frites, steak frites, and roasted half-chicken while enjoying the vibrant atmosphere created by its unique design elements.
Beautiful French restaurant with an amazing bar. One of the coziest places in Ballard with excellent food and drinks. Nice outdoor seating as well with fireplaces and heaters. Engaged staff with fantastic service.

Lovely restaurant with a bar in the back (see: 'back bar'). Excellent, friendly service. Not the greatest selection of beers, but a good selection of wine. Only real complaint is beer pricing. Beer prices were so high that you could impress a date just by not choking when they brought you the bar tab. $8-10. For. A. Beer. If you were to start drinking one of these beers at the exact moment the Greek debt crisis began, the Greeks would make fun of you for not investing in their rapidly declining market instead.

A charming place along the busy streets of Ballard serving delicious French cuisine. There's an outdoor section that has a chilled vibe with strings of lights and a blazing hearth. The drinks are rather unique and the food is good though I was expecting something more spectacular. I had the clams with French fries and truffles dip. The truffles dip was delicious. However, the table favorite has to be the duck confit, tender and packed with flavors.

If you're looking for a good place with reasonable prices, I recommend Bastille Cafe and Bar. It's got a upper class feel with out breaking the wallet. We enjoyed sitting out on the patio that was covered with a beautiful little fireplace nearby. I had a lamb burger and my wife ordered the gyro falafel and they were quite delicious. If you arrive between 4 and 6 you get the happy hour menu. The service is really good as well.

Excellent craft cocktails. The back bar is the spot to go. The bartender was quite knowledgeable and was able to suggest off menu drinks that he thought I'd like... And indeed I did. Excellent atmosphere... Nice and dark and cozy The lamb burger is awesome. Very juicy with the right amount of aoli to complement the taste of the meat. Served on a brioche style bun. The calamari was interesting. It came in a tomato based sauce. Good flavors but not quite my thing. The Bánh mì was solid but I've had much better that are much cheaper. The fries are the tasty skin on style. Not hand cut though.

Love the croque madame, my friend got the lamb belly, which is also very tasty. Only problem is the sale and the lamb belly feels a bit too salty. The drip coffee is great. Outdoor seating is relaxing and in a sunny day there are a lot of sunshine comes in. Definitely recommend on a Sunday morning so you can enjoy the farmers market a bit after. Which they put less salt into the dishes :P

Cafe Presse, located in South Capitol Hill near Seattle University, has been a popular spot since 2007. It offers traditional French cuisine and serves Caffe Vita coffee along with house-made pastries. The cafe also features an extensive selection of affordable French wines and a full bar that stays open until 2 a.m.
We went here for our anniversary dinner on a Sunday, due to sudden change of plans and no reservations available anywhere else. We were lucky to find this place as its so cute and has great vegetarian and meat options for both me(veggie) and hubby. As soon I saw fresh pressed orange juice on the menu, I had to get it and vouch that it is freshest juice you will find in the city. I also enjoyed the vegetarian gnocchi and the potato leek soup.

Did a search for great brunch spots in Seattle. This place was located in the Capital Hill district and did not disappoint. The coffee was just ok when compared to all the amazing local coffee shops around town. But the croissant was so delicious and the omelet was a great recommendation from the waiter.

There you find a genuine bit of the French feel in the place. Simple yet attentiveness to detail. In our case, after a few smaller dishes, we had the roasted chicken for two. This (and they tell you) takes about an hour for them to prepare You sit with your cold meats, pates and bottle of wine until you are each (the two of us) presented with a delightful half chicken with a small mountain of French fries and condiments. The skin of the bird was beautifully crisped and seasoned and the chicken itself was moist and more than just a chicken. It’s my idea of great cuisine. Take everyday simple and raise it to something special. By the time you get the food you are well ready for it and it’s memorable. The staff that serves the food makes you feel welcome and the addition of the tip in the bill was well earned.

Delicious casual French dining. This place has been on my list for a while, and I'm so sad they are closing soon because now I wish I had more chances to come here!! The frites for the steak and frites were perfection (goes great with mayo too), and the steak was flavorful and chewy (medium rare pictured). The onion soup had croutons soaked in their traditional onion soup and it was suuper cheesy. Came with complimentary baguette, and I swear I could eat a whole baguette just with the butter. Great service to top it all off. So glad I got to try this place, now I want to try Le Pichet (same owner) too!

Cafe Presse is the perfect cafe. It has breakfast, lunch and dinner food all the time, some casual some fancy some snacky. If you just want chocolate and champagne you can do it. If you want salad and wine - you can do it. If you want full on dinner- you got it. You can come dressed up or down and you will be happy. Finally it's open until 2am! Serving food and beverage the whole time. Last but not least the food is good - total European cafe style. Highly recommend for locals and visitors to Seattle.

This is a great french cafe with coffee from cafe Vita. The croque madame was delicious and other items looked great. They also include the service charge in the bill so tipping isn't necessary. I would fully recommend and plan to return!

Café Presse is a great all day cafe with good food and wine options. Nice selection of cheese as well. They always have games on, so it’s the perfect spot to chill and watch games with your mates over a nice glass of rose. One of the few places to also offer a 4.oz wine glass, handy to try a few wines when you’re not sure which one you’d like. One negative is that the non-alcoholic bevies are quite overpriced. But c’est la vie!

Steak house
Restaurant
Bateau is a contemporary steakhouse founded by Chef Renee Erickson and her team, who have established their own local farm called La Ferme des Anes to raise their own beef, poultry, and lamb. The restaurant offers a refined yet welcoming atmosphere in Capitol Hill where they butcher and dry-age the beef in-house. They also source specialty cuts from other farms that share their commitment to quality, sustainability, and animal welfare.
Just had an amazing birthday dinner here. We did the tasting menu for two and each course was fantastic. I loved the cherry jam on the spicy copa sandwich so much that I asked if I could buy some and they agreed to sell me a jar! My husband loved the pine ice cream for dessert so we’re thinking of ways we can make that at home! The service was wonderful and they continuously thanked us for celebrating my birthday with them. We’ll be back to try the chalk board of steak cuts and the off menu burger soon!! Thank you!

Absolutely amazing experience from this restaurant group. I fell in love with Walrus and the Carpenter when first introduced and it’s been fun exploring some of Seattle’s best restaurants. At Bateau, they haul in one cow per week and use every piece for something different from beef tallow for fryers to high quality steaks. We had the chef’s special menu and it was worth every penny. Raw and cooked appetizers, chef’s selection cuts and a delicious homemade ice cream to finish. There was so much creativity and love put into this meal and it’s special for any foodie. Highly recommend putting Bateau on your list for the next big night out. Can’t wait to try other sister restaurants! It’s incredible every time!

This is one of my favorite places to get a steak in Seattle, but also just a great experience even if you're *not* looking to go nuts on steak. The menu model is very interesting, and creates a unique kind of excitement about going there. Maybe that's not for everyone. But hey, if you want to get the same cut of mediocre steak, go find a mediocre steakhouse. If you really want something delicious, high quality, and a bit more unique... that's what you come here for! Your best bet is to get here ASAP after it opens for dinner to take advantage of your opportunity to take your pick of very limited quantities of their best cuts if you really want a good steak. I like the 21/42 day aged ribeyes best, personally. They are always perfectly seared, cooked exactly med rare (or whatever you ask), have just the right amount of seasoning, and the steak takes the spotlight. If you don't want to go too crazy on the meat, I love the chef's menu, where you're sure to get fun surprises and applications of parts of beef you won't commonly find in most restaurants. They've a pretty good selection of wine, and the servers are knowledgeable enough to help you navigate the options and pair with your specific meal and taste preferences. Heard from a friend Bateau is looking to change things up in the near future. I'm optimistic about the future of the place but I'll just have to wait and see.

Bateau truly understands the balance of fat, acid and salt. Every dish is innovative, fun, delicious and interesting. The mushrooms are a dream. The potato ice cream is complex and comforting. Every special we’ve tried has been worthy of being called a special. I will forever covet the french onion croquettes. The steaks - perfection. The best part? The lovely people who work at bateau. They are professional, but personable. They come with great energy and happy smiles. The food, while beyond fabulous, pales in comparison to those who keep it running. We adore the entire crew and team at bateau, everyone goes above and beyond. We are particularly fond of Kit, Olivia, Tyler and Kai, but you can’t lose with any team member! This place is special because of them. We were so saddened to learn that bateau and boat bar are closing for a revamp and desperately hope all the wonderful crew will return when the new edition reopens in a few months.

Dined on 6/7 for a birthday celebration (noted in our reservation). Bad experience at Bateau, and unfortunately, mostly disappointing. While the steak was decent (though slightly overcooked), most of the dishes were overly salty. But the real letdown was the service—by far one of the worst we’ve experienced in a fine dining or bistro setting, especially considering the price point. Service was highly inconsistent. Two staff members stood out for their kindness and professionalism. However, the rest of the service was bafflingly poor. One male server with short blonde hair was noticeably impatient and unapproachable. He handled our plates without asking, dropped dishes at our table without saying a word, and—most frustratingly—took away a drink that was still 2/3 full without any explanation or apology. When we asked about it before leaving, staff couldn't locate it. The response from another female server was dismissive: "He just threw it away somehow, what do you want me to say?" The server who took it never reappeared or apologized, even after we waited a good five minutes. Two other staff members kindly tried to help look for the drink, but the damage had been done. What made the evening feel even worse was the moment we noticed the table next to us receiving a candle and birthday cheer—while our own celebration was completely ignored, despite noting it in our reservation. We weren’t expecting anything elaborate, but the difference in treatment was stark. It left us wondering—why the discrepancy? It’s hard not to question whether unconscious bias or racism played a role. On top of that, the 22% service fee is automatically added, and only ~45% reportedly goes to the actual servers. We only found this out through other Google reviews. No one at the restaurant proactively discloses this, likely because they're not allowed to. It’s the restaurant’s responsibility to properly disclose it. Parking was a hassle—street parking is scarce, and the nearest option is a sketchy QFC garage that costs $7/hour. In summary: hit-or-miss food, wildly inconsistent service, disappointing treatment on what was supposed to be a special occasion. Given the price, Bateau simply doesn't deliver, and Seattle people deserves a higher standard.

I tried the tasting menu and wine pairing. The starters were amazing. Different ways of cooking beef really opened my eyes. The brioche from the tartine was very crispy and the barley risotto was very creamy. I could definitely have more of the starters. However, I was rather disappointed by the main dish: two different styles and parts of steaks. I felt like the steaks were a little bit overcooked. Nonetheless, the entire experience was still very enjoyable. I would definitely recommend someone to have the tasting menu if this is their first time.
Yi-Hsiang L — Google review
One of the few steakhouses in Seattle, with friendly staff and unique decor and atmosphere. Overall, the food is good but portions are not necessarily big. The value is not ideal because of this, in raport to the price. Steak wise, there is a huge variety of cuts you can choose from along with sides. I would suggest to ask for recommendations based on what you’ve liked before at other steaks - the staff is knowledgeable and helpful.
Vlad B — Google review
ATMOSPHERE: Bateau felt a little understated yet cozy as the sun was setting. Tables slowly filled up which meant that the ones closest to us were vacant for the first few minutes of our dine. Not very noisy for the smaller size of the dining room. SERVICE: Our waiter guided us through the (somewhat) unique ordering process and answered all of our questions regarding the cuts. She was very attentive and had an easy way of conversing. We felt this from everyone who was there that night. FOOD: incredible. The dry aged beef is wonderful and I highly recommend trying 2-3 different cuts side by side with the different butter pairings. The octopus and beef jerky were excellent appetizers. The cocktails were very good but nothing crazy, which in my opinion, is the safe route for an establishment unless their thing is to craft wild drinks. Check out Bateau in CapHill for an awesome beef experience!

Copine, located in Ballard, seamlessly blends classic French culinary techniques with locally sourced ingredients in an elegant and relaxed setting. The restaurant offers a sophisticated dining experience without the need for formal attire. The industrial-style concrete floors and minimalist decor create a breezy atmosphere. Shaun McCrain, a Per Se veteran, curates a special dining experience with his wife Jill Kinney managing the front of house. The menu features three-course tasting menus showcasing classic French elements infused with global flavors while incorporating Northwest ingredients.
After living across from Copine for nearly a year, and then moving, we finally made a reservation, and it definitely lived up to its reputation. The restaurant’s intimate, refined atmosphere is complemented by attentive, knowledgeable service. From the amuse (not pictured) to dessert, every dish was beautifully presented and delicious. Always an amazing culinary experience. The chef builds complex, delicious, and satisfying dishes that are also a feast for the eyes. I went recently to eat from the bar menu and chat with a few friends. I can see myself coming back to do this more often this coming year—especially since their bar menu changes every week!

I’ve had one of the best fine dining experiences in Seattle here at Copine, even better than Canlis. Seattle cuts loose to a lot of fine dining experiences, especially a lot of the restaurants here do not pay attention to detail, or service usually comes subpar. I would say Copine really focuses on the basics of making an experience for you, so it becomes a meaningful experience. First and foremost, they have a great understanding of French cuisine. Everything tastes very delicate and well thought out. I definitely loved the steak and their meat dishes. I think the chef has way better understanding of cooking meat rather than seafood, so as someone who loves meat, this was an enjoyable meal. How can I forget about their service! Their staff was thoroughly trained and very knowledgeable. I really loved all the wine pairings and hearing the thoughts behind. Service was above and beyond, and everyone was so kind to make my birthday dinner something special. There are 2 fine dining restaurants I would recommend from now on: Copine and Cafe Juanita.

Decided to visit because of the good reviews and the fact that they are closing. It's $140 for a 3 course menu including dessert, with no luxurious ingredients, so we expect their dishes to be creative and flavorful. We did the prix fixe and added the mid course. Unfortunately, none of the dishes had a complex enough flavor profile. All we could say was the raw ingredients were of excellent quality. They were plated nicely but the portions are too small. The flavors were easily reproducible ourselves. There are many other fine dining restaurants in Seattle who offer 5 course or more for a similar price, providing more luxurious ingredients and more imaginative flavor profiles. This one is really overpriced for what they offer.

Finally come to Copine! It requires a reservation, and you need to pay $100 per person if no show. No dress code. They change their menu frequently. $140 per person. It’s a little pricy but very yummy! I love their corn soup. It’s special. The soup is cold, and some grounded mushrooms inside. And the sea scallops are tender and fresh with homemade sauce. Dessert is okay for me.

A lot of potential here, but disappointing execution. I hope we ‘only’ got their B team in the kitchen. But at this price point ($350+ for 2) there were too many unacceptable mistakes. First, the service, ambiance, and menu were all great. The plating was great. And the amuse bouche were great. The chanterelle mushrooms, the onion soubise, and the pine nuts were great. The black cod (sub for monkfish) and the huckleberry tart were good. However, - One of our grilled hamachi was still frozen in the middle. (And we both thought the grill char overpowered the fish) - One of the falafel was still uncooked in the middle. - The duck breast was quite tough, and hard to cut and hard to chew. - Both desserts were good, but the ricotta was bland. I tasted no lemon. It could use a syrup. - I also ordered the NA drink pairing. And honestly it was disappointing to not love a single one of them. They were all sour and/or bitter. One of them was like ‘destroy your mouth’ bitter. (Visited the 24th, since the menu changes)

Red Cow is an upscale brasserie that offers a lively atmosphere and a menu featuring French classics such as steak frites, house-made charcuterie, and fresh local seafood. The restaurant provides an immersive dining experience with private dining options for up to 20 guests, evoking the feeling of being in the French countryside.
It was a vibe we had a great time. The food was amazing we started with the French onion soup hot and cheesy. The beet salad is an entree or sharable for 4. The lamb was jumping what I love is it’s a French spot but with a diverse menu. The king salmon was so good. We did desert the whole nine great experience.

Red Cow has an excellent happy hour, and I decided to treat myself to a somewhat decadent meal featuring the steak tartare, prime rib French dip, and crème brûlée. All three dishes were outstanding, but the clear standout was the tartare—rich, fatty, and perfectly portioned. The crostini were buttery and crisp without being overly hard, complementing the tartare beautifully. For drinks, I recommend the house Bordeaux or the Old Fashioned, both reasonably priced at $10. The Old Fashioned, in particular, struck a nice balance and paired well with the meal. If I had one critique, it would be the horseradish—it lacked the spicy kick I was hoping for. Still, Bea was an excellent server and a genuine delight to chat with, which added to the overall experience. Highly recommend for a solo treat or a relaxed happy hour with friends. Another standout location from Ethan Stonewall.

Spent my birthday in Seattle and decided on Red Cow for dinner. We happened to be there during Seattle restaurant week and got to order from their srw menu. The staff welcomed us warmly and had a greeting card on the table for me. We ordered the pate and roasted beets to start, the steak frites and the tenderloin as our mains, and the apple galette and chocolate cake for dessert. I opted for their featured wine, which was a bordeaux blend, and my boyfriend got the deckhand cocktail. We thoroughly enjoyed everything and our server, Spencer, was amazing. Highly recommended!

Visited Red Cow in Madrona last weekend and had a really nice experience overall! A french style steakhouse nestled in Madrona, the place is warm and bustling--lots of energy, a little on the loud side, but in a good way. It feels like a neighborhood gem that still takes food seriously. Our server was super friendly, knew the menu inside and out, and made some great suggestions. Starters: we went with the Provençal Olives-ADDICTIVE, & The Salad Verte- Super simple just mixed greens, herbs, and a light vinaigrette. For mains we decided to split the 14oz Double R Ranch Center Cut Ribeye and it was phenomenal. Cooked perfectly medium rare, super juicy, and packed with flavor. Definitely on the pricier end, but worth it. The quality of the meat was top-notch. Paired it with the béarnaise sauce (which was creamy and herby and amazing) and their classic fries. The fries were crispy and well-seasoned--nothing too wild, but they hit the spot. Overall: Red Cow definitely knows its strengths--great steaks, simple but flavorful apps, and a cozy vibe. Not cheap, but it feels like you're getting what you pay for. Would absolutely come back, especially for that ribeye and those olives.

Visited Red Cow for my girlfriend’s birthday, and was not disappointed at all. Very cozy spot, unassuming from the outside, but quality all around. Our server was attentive and welcoming, even bringing a couple glasses of champagne to start. From appetisers to mains to dessert, food was awesome. They even went the extra mile and brought out dessert with a candle. Will be visiting Red Cow again!

My husband and I are visiting from out of town and decided to dine in there today. We got there 30 minutes from closing and we were greeted by Mike, he was really nice and didn’t rush us at any moment. We then met Ozzie who was also really nice and helped us with our order. My husband ordered the Pork snitchzeld and I ordered the steak and fritters 12Oz New York strip Helen’s . The meat was cooked perfectly and everything was delicious. The pork breaded was incredible, perfectly crisped and delicious and the pork meat was tender, and juicy. We loved this place, unfortunately we were full and could not have dessert but we did see the cheesecake and it looked delicious. If you are visiting and would like to dine French cuisine, you will love this place.

One of the best burgers I have ever had. Juicy, balanced, and full of flavor. The frites were perfectly crisp and golden, the kind you cannot stop eating. Simple food done right, with real care. This is the kind of place that makes you want to come back.

Le Coin is a high-end French brasserie located in the Upper Fremont neighborhood of Seattle. The restaurant offers a seasonal tasting menu and happy-hour specials, along with a patio for outdoor dining. The venue prides itself on warm hospitality and rich flavors, serving the freshest seafood, meat, and game sourced from local sustainable farms. Their menu features upscale French dishes served as small plates, providing a unique and elevated dining experience without breaking the bank.
We were in the mood for dinner with a prix fixe menu, and Le Coin turned out to be the perfect choice. From the start, our server made the experience even better—she walked us through each dish while keeping the atmosphere light and enjoyable. The food was outstanding - the trofie pasta dish and lemon tart were my favorites. I also opted for the non-alcoholic pairing, and every drink complemented its course beautifully. Overall, a fantastic dining experience!

First time here, we had brunch. The service and atmosphere were excellent (although the music was pretty loud, so keep that in mind). We started with the World Famous Apple Fritters, which were light and tasty. I had the Eggs Benedict with crab, and it was probably 3 stars--the muffin was soft and not toasted at all, there was too much crab (which I THINK was imitation) and overall the dish was not very hot. The potatoes that came with the dish were excellent, although they too were barely warm. My wife had the steak and eggs, which she really enjoyed.

This was an interesting experience as it was a mothers day brunch for us and we decided we wanted something a little different, Le coin was recommended as a great mothers day brunch spot and so why not! We were received warmly and guys please please please, be nice to your wait staff, they are trying their very best, especially on these occasions. Our hostess was a little shocked by whatever transpired before we came and still had the biggest small and welcome for us, well done Le Coin staff. The restaurant itself is quaint on the inside with lots of tables and booths and outdoor tables as well. The food was a little hit and miss and by that I mean, there wasn’t anything there that I had that I would like to have again, it might very well have been our choices so I wouldn’t rule it out entirely, but let’s get to the food and take it from there Apple Fritters 5/5 these bad boys came out hot and steamy exactly the temp you want your fritters, burn your mouth off yum! I would say they were around 5/6 pieces and my husband swears the apple butter was something out of this world Chicken and Waffles 3/5 I love me a good chicken and waffles and this promised to be something good, my only issue is when something to the plate is added that is not on the menu. So when my dish came out with a swirl of fruity/berry sauce and I am very averse to sending a dish back, I ended up trying to eat around it which was difficult. Aside from that the chicken was cooked well but lacked anything that made it drool worthy, the waffle itself might have been better served if it was the Belgian Waffle instead of the cornmeal. It was simply a lackluster dish Crispy Fried Chicken Sandwich 4/5 Kid absolutely loved the sandwich, spice level, cook, size absolutely yum, the only thing needed was a crunchier coating for the chicken Le Coin Burger 5/5 my daughter ranked this as in her top 3 best burgers and she does like a good burger, cooked exactly as ordered and tasted great Cassoulet +Lamb 3/5 The flavors in this dish were on point! Two issues those, more care needs to be considered when adding lamb pieces as a larger piece was not edible, and there really needed to be some bread to soak up all those yummy juices. All in all it wasn’t something we’d order again A cute little establishment with great potential, not anything id be in a rush to visit again

Le Coin. Funny how a place can sit on the street like a quiet cat and you don’t see it until it yawns. I’ve walked past it a hundred times and only stumbled in yesterday. Spacy room, warm light, the kind of cozy that doesn’t flex. Staff that actually notices you—water topped, plates down, no fakery, no fuss. We worked through a poached squash salad that came in soft and honest. Confit fennel, sweet with a sly grin. Lamb shoulder, slow and patient, like it knew there was nothing to prove, impressive, my compliments to the chef. But the French onion soup—that’s the bruiser! Dark, rich, steaming like a hymn in winter. It could put iron in your legs, could make Napoleon’s boys shoulder their packs and tramp straight through the Arc de Triomphe for another bowl. Everything was top‑notch. A lovely little joint. I like it. I recommend it. I’ll be back, dragging friends or any poor guest within reach. Thanks, Le Coin.

Super friendly service & cute place but our food was just Ok - not great. Heirloom tomato salad was good, French onion soup was mediocre & burgers were under-seasoned. Nice dinner, experience overall, but food could’ve been better.

What a wonderful experience. My mom and I had been out at Ballard Seafest and were on the hunt for a lovley spot to have a nice meal with beautiful food. We drove by many places and then LeCoin came up. We decided to try it and what a spectacular time. Half dozen Oysters that were so delicate, delicious, clean and amazing to eat. 🦪✨️ Then we both had the Wild Columbian river salmon. Cooked to perfection. Sharing a 🍋 pasta that was absolutely delicious. The hostess was incredibly sweet, welcoming and lovley energy. Our server was also lovley and attentive. Great service. We did not have reservations and there happen to be one table available outside, which was perfect on a warm summers night. Will be back and suggest to others to enjoy such incredibly delicious foods. The open kitchen was also focused, working hard and you could feel the heart in the atmosphere. Thank you!

This is a very nice, French style restaurant with a comfortable atmosphere and friendly service. The ambiance is very homey and comforting. The staff professional and friendly, and the food is excellent. They have a solid selection of cocktails, wines and cheeses. Gainsbourg is a french restaurant with small plates and cocktails. They offer delicious food and great deals during happy hours. The atmosphere is cozy and the staff is friendly.
Ordered a variety of plates, they were all incredible. The fries are crisp and well seasoned, the mushrooms are complex and full of flavor, the duck was crispy and juicy. Favorite drink was the devilish tenant, very citrusy and just the right amount of bitter. Atmosphere is cozy, there are some family style seating areas. The perfect mix of classy french roots mixed with a laid back bar environment. Highly recommend!

Gainsbourg was a super interesting place to grab a drink with its French atmosphere and menu. The cocktails/beers we received were all solid and the dessert we snagged was tasty. Highly considering coming back to try some savory options next time.

Hidden gem in Greenwood! Food was excellent and inexpensive compared to most places. I loved how it was really chill, laid back, and unfussy, but had an old world, eclectic, cozy, and European vibe. Happy hour is available from 4-6pm and the restaurant is walk-ins only (no reservations). The entire restaurant is open seating (like a bar/lounge). The French onion soup, duck breast frites, and French dip were all excellent. Can’t wait to come back!

Landed here on my quest for a good burger, and I was not disappointed. Drink was excellent too. Will definitely return to try other dishes. Very cozy interior decor.

I heard rumors that the food here was good and especially the burgers, so I came here to try it out and find out for myself. I got to try out both the gainsbourger and the duck confit. I was very impressed by both dishes. The duck confit came with a nice glaze sauce over some sautéed greens over fried potato medallions. The duck was nice and tender with a crispy outside. I would stack up a potato medallion with the greens and the duck on top for one solid bite of all the ingredients, just wow! Second I tried the burger and fries. The bread was very nice and light and the burger patty was very thick and beefy, packed with tons of flavor. Staff was very nice, I liked the ambiance of the place, there's indoor and outdoor seating. I will definitely be back to try some of their other dishes!

Delicious food. Amazing happy hour. Host and kitchen were very gracious about my allergies. 12/10 worth the drive in traffic during rush hour. Would add photos, but we inhaled our food. The food portions and taste felt like a steal for the price.

Finally made it in for the burger I have heard so much about. It was tasty but next time I would order rare as this one was a bit overcooked. Plenty to try on the menu and I will be back.

This place is sooooo cute. It’s definitely a smaller restaurant (I think 49 pple occupancy). We walked in around 7:20ish and sat at the bar. There’s no official host and it looks like the bartenders were basically running the show. They had some old timey movie/shows running in the back but they had modern music on… interesting combo! I had the Gainsbourger and that was pretty tasty. I didn’t love the Dijon mustard but it was a pretty filling. We also split the Brussels sprouts app & they were alright, but balanced out the burger nicely. My bf had the French onion dip sandwich! The cocktails were a heavy pour, so I had to wait for the ice to balance it out but tasty for sure.

Marmite Seattle, located in Capitol Hill, offers a delightful dining experience with its rustic and light-filled ambiance. The attentive staff and exquisite flavors make every visit memorable. Additionally, Marmite offers cooking classes for those interested in learning about French cuisine. The outdoor patio provides a charming setting for socializing while enjoying the delicious food.
My bf & I had a Saturday evening dinner here to celebrate my birthday, and it was so lovely. Our waiter was so nice, the ambience was warm and comforting, and food was delicious! My bf ordered the rabbit confit and I had the roasted chicken, both were yummy! The owner even came out and talked to us about the wine selection. Great location too! Can't wait to be back and try more dishes. Next time, we want to sit on the chef’s counter.

Wonderful cocktails, decent French inspired cuisine in the heart of Capitol Hill. I would award 5 stars just on the cocktails alone however the food, although decent in flavor, was not mind blowing. Our potato chips were overly salted, however this was quickly rectified when notifying the staff and was comped. Overall wonderful service and I would be back for the cocktails for sure

My partner and I stopped here during Pride; it was super busy but the food was worth returning for. We started with the Pain au Beurre, which contained 7 slices of bread (3 types) and butter. I personally only enjoyed 1/3 types of bread but it was okay. For a main course, we split the Caillettes Provençales and it was absolutely delicious. The red cabbage went really well with the fat on the meat and it was very flavorful. Overall, an enjoyable experience, I will dine here again.

As good as it's reputation. The food was quite sensational and the place has a great vibe. The sturgeon was particularly fabulous. One super minor quibble. We sat at the chef's counter and saw our dinner plated, but instead of giving it straight to us it sat for 5 minutes before the wait staff found it. So it could have been hotter. But like I said .. minor. Will be back soon

One of the hidden gems in Capitol Hill. It was our second time we went to Marmite, but this time on a very special date, Valentine's day. The restaurant was very cozy and quiet, where the atmosphere was perfect for a romantic dinner. The food was delicious. The menu consisted four courses with a dessert for two. In addition, wine pairing was offered in the menu but it was optional. Personally, I felt very comfortable in the restaurant all night; and it is not only because of the great interior design (it is stunning), but the staff (the restaurant's team) was exceptional and attentive all the time. The owner and chef of the restaurant was very friendly and familiar, and we had the idea of his passion for cooking and his business. Definitely, we are going back very soon!!

Outstanding and delightful meal on a perfect Seattle day. The quenelles and the mushroom tart were superb as was the service and overall experience. Highly recommended.

Two things they did well. The Nettle soup and the scallops appetizer. The rest was a train wreck and very disappointing. It took us 30 minutes for us to get our food after we finished eating our appetizers. Very poorly planned. The restaurant wasn’t even busy (now I know why...) Avoid eating here. Worst experience I’ve had in a long time at a high end restaurant like this. The “grilled” mackerel was burnt to a crisp where you couldn’t even taste the fish. The salmon was not seasoned and flavorless.

This might just be the best restaurant in Seattle. You know how some places make you want to go on and on about how good they are. Marmite is one of those. The Marmite team has some sort of, I don't know, a fluency with flavor. They know how to bring undertones to the surface, flavors you thought were a naturally subtle part of an ingredient is somehow given the limelight in Marmite dishes. It really makes you reconsider everything you've tasted before. Really heady stuff. Heated and covered outdoor dining available.

Awesome intimate dining experience. The food was delicious and the wine and cocktails were also a huge hit. I don't usually order dessert but the amaretto bread pudding was delightful! I can't wait to try their brunch! Oh and try the brandy flight!

Definitely good place for brunch. The atmosphere is very relaxed. Nice white tables in contrast with some sark decoration makes it very interesting. Staff is very polite though sometimes a little bit cold, but definitely not a downside at all. Scrambled eggs with mushrooms is a strong option. Comes with a nice salad and a piece of baguette. It’s served with a table spoon of cream next to it which is a nice touch. We also had the lentils with pouched eggs and it was ok, not very interesting and a little under seasoned. It’d be great if they expand the dessert menu a little more. Overall we’re beginning to like this place a lot and will keep coming for sure. I will revisit this review as we keep visiting this delightful place

Such a cute, cozy place. Very large and extensive food and cocktail menu. Every dish we had was fantastic. We ordered the clam dip appetizer and it was delicious. My husband got the dungeness crab roll and I really enjoyed my Rockfish. We also had the mussels and brussel sprouts, which were also very tasty. Portions are large and satisfying, so unfortunately, we didn't have any stomach room for dessert. We celebrated with an indulgent 21st birthday dinner and birthday boy's first restaurant experience in America today. I had to leave a review before the bill came because it was that good! Picked this place because of the amount of seafood dishes they have. The woman at the front counter was wonderful. The menu is HUGE. usually this turns me off from a restaurant but the dishes really sounded good. We got cocktails which were very tasty. We tried the biscuits and preserves and the buiscit with gravy. Both so good. My wife got a Benedict and I got shrimp and grits. The Benedict was great! The shrimp and grits was really good, i just personally prefer thicker, chunkier grits. These were very thin and almost soupy. It was still a good dish. Will definitely be back for different menu items.

Our friends were recommended here by our hotel concierge, and by seeing the ad in the Homeport Seattle tourist mag. ATMOSPHERE: You're immediately greeted by dim Murano-style glass pendant lighting that hangs in the entire restaurant like organized stalagmites. The inside is noisy, bustling & fun. 3 walls are lined with over a hundred tealight candles, a very cool touch. It sort of reminds me of a fancier & smaller Cheesecake Factory. The menu is huge and intimidating, and sometimes not very descriptive. When I encounter places like this, I start to look for my favorites - pasta, southern cuisine, seafood, burgers, and noodle & rice dishes, and start to Google unknown words & preparations. BEVERAGE: La Grande Dame Champagne So deliciously smooth. Happy Birthday & Happy Anniversary to our party! FOOD: Fried Green Tomatoes Breaded and fried tomatoes topped with a dungeness crab mixture over a light creamy sauce. I've always wanted to try some and they were good! Rustic Duck & Wild Boar Terrine It's similar to a pate but firm, kind of looks like corned beef slices. The taste is a subtle salty flavor. Came with some toasted crouton slices. Crispy Fried Pork Cheeks 3 crostini pieces topped with the pork cheeks and mixed veggies of arugula, shallots and thinly sliced apples all over a Dijon mustard drizzle. This was very delish! Grilled Asparagus Wrapped in prosciutto, with a poached egg, artichoke slices, wilted arugula over a sherry vinaigrette. Yummers! Toulouse Seafood Gumbo Oh how high my hopes were for this dish. Dark roux with andouille, crawfish, shrimp & fish, a scoop of rice in the middle and topped with scallions. It was just a tad too sweet for me. I love salt but I don't like adding it to prepared dishes. It's a little spicy but nothing I couldn't handle. SERVICE: We had reservations for 9pm on a Saturday night and they were pumping! Our server was awesome. Super friendly, attentive, and professional. OVERALL: Beautiful ambiance, fun and good food. I definitely want to try more dishes.

The food and drinks were great and our waitress was super nice. I like the chill vibe. We had 2 kids , 10 and 8 so we couldn't sit in designated bar area but right outside it. The restaurant seemed in a weird location and the AC didn't seem to be working well so we were over heated.

Another amazing experience of dining in Seattle. Such a beautiful vibe, the drinks were delicious (I got the Devil Old Fashioned x2 cause it was so tasty). I have Celiac and they were so careful to make sure I was aware of all cross contamination risks and made sure my food was made safely.

Such a great spot! I was in Seattle for business and stopped into Toulouse Kitchen — so glad I did. The atmosphere was warm and lively, the staff was friendly and attentive, and everything just hit the mark. The classic Old Fashioned was perfectly mixed, and the jambalaya was bursting with flavor — easily one of the highlights of the trip. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel right at home, even when you’re traveling. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town!

Delicious dinner on a chilly Sunday evening. We ordered off the seasonal menu (who wouldn’t) and the lamb was especially good. The Kumamoto oysters were some of the best we’ve eaten. The Whale Wins is a charming eatery located in Fremont, Seattle, known for its European and Northwest-inspired dishes. Helmed by renowned chef Renee Erickson and her partners, the restaurant offers a wood-fired, vegetable-focused menu featuring fresh produce from local sources. The bright and lively cottage-like space creates a welcoming atmosphere for diners to enjoy ripe seasonal vegetables, wood-oven fired meats and fish, as well as delightful desserts like butter-roasted zucchini bread.
i loved the dining setting here in the summertime, with the outdoor patio area and the tiffany blue color scheme. the interior is well-lit and beautifully decorated with wine bottles. friendly and attentive service. the ingredients are primarily locally-sourced and the menu is cohesive. i loved the chicken pate as well as the summer squash, ur was not the biggest fan of using chips as the vehicle for the halibut dip. the pork shoulder was fried on the outside, which i was not a fan of, but the inside was juicy and tender. while it paired well with the nectarine, there was honestly as much nectarine as there was meat. indifferent to the clams, which could’ve been more flavorful. in my opinion bread should be served without asking. overall, appetizers were great but i thought the mains could be better, given how high my expectations were.
Iris P — Google review
We were excited to visit The Whale Wins after hearing great things. The atmosphere was lovely, the service attentive, and the food clearly above average. That said, the pricing, portion sizes, and added 22% charge made the overall experience feel less satisfying. We shared a variety of dishes: Matiz sardines on sourdough toast, lettuces with lemon juice, Parisienne gnocchi, Hama Hama clams, Alaskan halibut, and zucchini bread. The standouts were the gnocchi, sardine toast, and zucchini bread. The gnocchi had a perfect sear and texture, and was beautifully presented. The zucchini bread was moist, flavorful, and not at all soggy. The sardines paired nicely with the excellent sourdough and fennel. The halibut was cooked to perfection, though the salsa morita felt a bit overpowering and the size just too small for $48. The clams were fine but unremarkable, and the lettuces, while tasty, didn’t justify the $23 price. While we enjoyed the meal (quality at least 4*), the high cost, small portions, and a significant added charge (would appreciate just increasing menu prices) left us feeling underwhelmed and still a little hungry, making it difficult to justify a return visit and ultimately falls short of a recommendation.

What a treat! The Whale is such a gem. The salmon pâté and butter lettuce salad were excellent starters, and the sardine toast is an absolute must. The roasted chicken was incredible and perfect for sharing with friends. We finished with a slice of their decadent zucchini bread—highly recommend. Pair it all with a glass of Muscadet and you’re in for a truly memorable experience.

I loved the ambience and decor of this spot on Stoneway. I popped in for brunch and picked up an egg sandwich with bacon and Rachel's Ginger Beer. The latter is standard if you've ever had it. The egg sandwich arrived piping hot but not hot enough for the cheese to melt. It is quite a big sandwich stuffed into tiny bread. It was falling apart on me when I grabbed it, so I cut it in half to make it easier to eat. It still basically exploded in my hands with the spicy mayo. The bacon had good taste and the mayo was good. Egg was standard and only reason why it lost stars and rating is just how messy and explosive it is. Personally I don't want a mess everywhere, but the taste was good. Price a bit high, but what isn't in Seattle. They do auto tip, take this how you will. I'd return to try their French/English style dinner and I do love the look of the space. 6/10⭐

To start, I have got to say that I had one of the best dining experiences at The Whale Wins. The entire serving staff went above and beyond what was needed or required to give a wonderful dining experience. They were able to answer any question, help with allergy and dietary restrictions, as well as suggestion great food. The food itself was great, as to expect from this restaurant. The shareable plates were all unique, fresh, and thoughtfully plated. My significant other tried the half chicken, and it was the best chicken she has ever had. I have no idea how they were able to cook the chicken so tender. I would recommend getting a reservation a few days out in advanced as it can get busy on the weekends.

Walked in for Brunch and was easily accommodated for two. Ordered the sardines toast, frittata and breakfast platter. All delicious and light. Not sure how this guy is doing it but all the food is cooked in an oven- even the eggs. There’s fresh Parmesan on the frittata and the sardine toast was light and not fishy at all. I thought I’d try it since sardines have a lot of calcium but I haven’t ate sardines in years and this place presented them lovely and tasty. Looked like a lot of people share the brunch items. The perfectly roasted tomatoes were delicious on the breakfast platter with the homemade red beans. The breakfast sandwich though didn’t have the cheese melted which is a pet peeve of mine so glad I didn’t order that but my meal was excellent and glad we decided to eat here instead of another overcrowded place across the street.

We had the scallops, parisienne gnocchi, and olives. Great ambiance on the patio; staff were certainly knowledgeable on menu items. However the menu in its presentation and the comments made by staff felt pretentious. The warm and casual vibe of the restaurant was a confusing juxtaposition with the menu, too. We were told we couldn’t order a half chicken, because it is “usually for 4 people” and there were 2 of us. Quarter chickens are commonly given as a single meal portion pretty much anywhere so this was weird. We found that an odd comment, among a few others like it, and based on our experience we would not return. Bummer because they did have some good flavors. A weird and very Seattle service experience.

If you’re not eating here, what are you doing?? I came in for the first time this week and the vibes were immaculate. Friendly and attentive staff, gorgeous space, and INCREDIBLE food. I will be back. Often.

We took our mom there for a Mother’s Day celebration and it took the server 30 minutes to take our order. Following this, they said they needed our table after another 60 minutes and forced us to leave. In order for a 90 minute turnover, service must be fast. The food itself was meh at best. The baguettes were stale and the butter was frozen. The salad was not great either and the rest of the food was okay. The atmosphere wasn’t great either, really crowded and not like the photos posted. Overall, not a great experience but there were miniature ducks on the ceiling fan.

Intimate, effortlessly chic French bistro. The service was perfectly balanced, attentive yet allowed you space to enjoy your meal. The food was delicious, and the burger was one of the best I’ve ever had. Seriously. Perfect place for a date, a girls night, a good book and wine. Will be coming back soon!

The Cassoulet is very salty. The pork chop tastes dry and bland. The medium-rare hanger steak has a slight gaminess to it. But everyone has different tastes, overall it's still not bad.

One of the best French restaurants in Seattle and definitely the best beef bourguignon. Everything we had was delicious, including the best fava beans I've ever had. Reservations recommended and get there a bit early because parking can be a pain, but it's absolutely worth it.

This was our second time here. We spent $84 + tip for 3 persons and we had 1 appetizer, 2 main and wine. Enough food! I would say that they have really good food. Just smell a little off near the main door.

RN74 Seattle is a chic eatery located in downtown, offering a blend of upscale French cuisine with Northwest influences. The menu features creative and modern interpretations of regional French dishes, including locally-sourced seasonal highlights such as house-aged steaks, organic farm vegetables, and Puget Sound seafood. The extensive wine list showcases selections from the Burgundy region of France as well as boutique wine producers from Washington and Oregon.
Love it! We caught happy hour and had a delicious late lunch. The drinks look good too, but we did not have a chance to try this time. I will be coming back to try some drinks as well as their dinner entrees. I came for escargots, but they weren’t available for happy hour this time. All the dishes we ordered had fresh ingredients, creative flavors, and overall delicious.

Food is fantastic. We had the bone marrow, pork chop, Mary’s chicken, and chocolate mousse. The pork chop is slightly too raw to us even we asked for well-done. Nonetheless the quality is top notch and we will definitely come back for the long wine list and extraordinary food.

What an amazing dinner!!! My girlfriend and I went there last week and the food was phenomenal. We always try to have an experience when we go out and it was easy to do here. We ended up going with the tasting menu and putting our dinner in the hands of RN74's chef. When it comes to the food, it was a good balance between adventure and flavor. We both tried new things and thoroughly enjoyed everything we had.

We have passed this restaurant for many months and decided to try it out for V-Day. We got snowed in and had to reschedule our visit. So glad we did! You must try out this amazing RN74! The drinks were perfection and the food was to die for. You have got to eat the bone marrow and try the juicy steak. Of course we didn’t leave room for dessert, but now we have a reason to return and tackle the mousse. Must eat here! The ambiance is not too loud and perfect for an intimate date or enjoy a party of friends. #contentawarephotography check out my Instagram. We returned for appetizers and drinks. Still amazing and delicious.

Came here for the SRW, kinda disappointed at the selections of the menu as well as the speed of service. Anything that is interesting requires a significant upcharge. The wine list was extensive. The dishes were not as anticipated, both were soupy, flavorful nonetheless. The desert was the highlight. Regular price for the dishes are really high. Unlikely to come back again.

A very cosy setup, kind of an old fashion style and very comfortable. For happy hour, the menu is not that extensive but what they have is well executed and fantastic quality and taste. Service was efficient and friendly. This was #1 in our three part happy hour crawl for the evening.

One of the best tasting menus in Seattle when chef Ben Godwin was charge ( I haven't been back yet to try the menu under the new chef). The deconstructed clam chowder and the strawberry rhubarb tarts are two of my all-time favorite dishes. The truffle rolls are really good.

Wow. This spot is great - low key, but a little fancy!! Great flavors and the lobster is a must add on side dish. Above average fries and delicious cocktails. They have a really cool (and loud) wine reader board for LAST CHANCE bottles of wine - v cool!!!

Le Panier is a must-visit spot in Pike Place Market, offering a delectable array of French-style baked goods. From freshly baked bread to macarons, the handcrafted goodies showcase authentic flavors and high-quality ingredients. The bustling bakery entices visitors with an assortment of pastries including croissants, brioche, feuilletes, sables, and meringues. Their signature fruit-filled croissants provide a delightful taste of summer regardless of the season.
I recently visited Le Panier at Pike Place Market and had a truly wonderful experience. I ordered a latte and a cinnamon roll, and both were absolutely outstanding. The latte was perfectly balanced smooth, rich, and creamy exactly what you hope for from a good coffee. The cinnamon roll was fresh, soft, and full of flavor, with just the right amount of sweetness and spice. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and despite the busy location, the service was fast and friendly. If you’re in Seattle and visiting Pike Place Market, Le Panier is a must-visit for delicious pastries and coffee. Highly recommended!

The long lines for Le Panier made so much sense once I got my latte’s, the raspberry croissant, and the macaroons! The raspberry croissant was such a standout—flaky, buttery, and just the right amount of sweet. Pairing it with a latte and those delicate macaroons? Total win. And yes, the warm service really adds to the charm and coziness of thjs place!

Waited in line for about 40 minutes or so on a Sunday morning but the pasties were delicious. The pistachio eclair was the best I’ve ever had. The almond and chocolate croissants were flaky and good. The tomato pastry was amazing and the mushroom one was also a tasty bite! The Palmer was also good. We ordered a few things to try. Overall, it’s delicious! You decide if the wait is worth it. 😊 For us, it was because we wanted to give it a try!
Katelyn L — Google review
Wasn't super impressed. As someone who was visiting from oklahoma I expected more from Seattle food and coffee. Out of all the sweets we gor the eclair pistachio was the best. The brioche raspberry had almost no filling. All bread. The latte was more bitter then I would normally like even with a bunch of syrup. Probably wouldn't come back again

Beautiful food and atmosphere. I truly wish I would have grabbed more but I will know for my second visit there! 🥰

Great pastries are located here. The wait can reach around the building so be sure and get there early. Seating is available inside and you can enjoy your pastries while Pike street market operates.

One of the best chocolate croissant I have had! So so good! Yes there ends up being a long line at times but it's so worth the wait. I did not get a chance to try some of the other options but I cant wait to visit again.

The intoxicatingly smells of the fresh bread and croissant wafting from this shop will draw you in immediately. The baked goods are on par with what you get in Europe. This is worth all the wait and hype. The service is friendly and fast. Seating is hard to find because it’s always busy but still totally worth your while.

Oyster bar restaurant

Bar & grill
The Walrus and the Carpenter is a small, unassuming oyster bar in Ballard that offers a delightful selection of seafood, American dishes, and specialty cocktails. The restaurant's nautical theme creates a relaxed and breezy atmosphere with turquoise subway tiles, weathered pendant lights, and a spacious patio perfect for enjoying summertime drinks. Despite its unpretentious decor, the long lines of customers attest to the superb food served here.
An obvious Seattle favorite for the last 10 plus years, this place does not disappoint! With indoor and outdoor seating this lovely joint in Old Ballard finds itself nestled within a total experience space. In the basement is a private event area for events, and on the street side is Staple and Fancy serving as an Italian eatery and bar. This building is a one stop shop for drinks, events, and fantastic seafood and Italian. The Walrus and Carpenter itself has excellent service staff that can walk you through and needs or wants. The food itself is impeccable, with a choice selection of local Washington oysters and other mains such as the Plum Salad, Billy’s Tomatoes, Scallop Crudo, and Hama Hama Clams. All of which we had and enjoyed immensely. The drink menu also has many choice options such as the Burbank and Marvin’s Garden which are all fantastic. Highly recommended seafood place- but you already know this as The Walrus and Carpenter is one of the best places in Seattle for seafood. Doors open at 4pm, and the line starts at 3:45-3:50. No reservations, walk ins only. If there’s no room inside at tables, there’s also a bar that can accommodate.
Tom L — Google review
The oysters were fresh and deliciously sweet. And the fried oysters, sardines, and asparagus were also quite nice and satisfying in their unique ways. But... (And there's always a "but")... Oysters at $5 a pop + 20% mandatory service charge is really not cheap. And the menu is rather lacking outside of the oyster selection. I know it's an oyster bar but other nice places can also offer nice oysters with a more balanced menu. But the main reason for the rather average dining experience is the very long wait between service of additional dishes. We literally arrived second in line at 4pm when they opened and ordered shortly thereafter. While the raw oysters were served soon after our order was taken, the other 3 dishes literally took 20 minutes each to arrive at our table. So the entire meal felt like we were eating one dish at a time rather than a medley of different flavors that could be combined. It really really took away from the experience. With prices reaching close to fine dining levels, and the amount of food that was actually served, the overall meal ended up being quite disappointing, and I still have an unsatisfied taste in my mouth as I write this review several hours later. I'm sure this restaurant doesn't need our business but I hope this review will better inform other potential diners to the experience that may await.
Paul L — Google review
Idk what others are complaining about. This place is on point with its food. The collar was one of the most unique takes on fish I've ever had. Amazing smoky flavor with large chunks of fish. The oyster selection was incredible albeit pricey at 5 a pop but definitely worth it to try. Only disappointing thing was the goat cheese which was super dry and brittle near the rind.
Rushad — Google review
Biggest rip off in town. Oysters 5 dollars a piece. Tapas style dishes are 20-30 dollars. Bread plate is 3 slices. Service is ok. We ordered bread and they never brought it, had to remind them 3 times. Sardines took 20 mins. Look... I get everything is more expensive nowadays, yeah, but not this expensive. My favorite was the sardines. Properly done. Update: 22% service fee was added which comes with the attitude of the service people. Google needs to have 0 star option.
Ozan E — Google review
Had a very great visit here on a Monday for happy hour. Sat at the bar right in front of Scott, who was shucking oysters. He was an absolute delight. Answering our midwestern questions about everything oysters, his favorites, the flavor profiles. He was the best part of the visit. Beyond the oysters we got a cheese plate that was 4 small slices of bread and a quarter brick of cheese. Finish it all off with a 22% service charge? Without the super friendly service I would have been disappointed. The oysters were tasty and reasonable on happy hour. I’d return if they promised Scott would be working and I’d be sat at the bar. Otherwise I would check somewhere else out.
Chad K — Google review
Expensive dishes plus 22% service charge. Dinner here would easily cost $100 per person. Tapa style dishes costs $20-$30 per dish and oysters cost $5 each.
Julie Z — Google review
I was visiting and when I arrived for oyster happy hour at 415pm it was already hopping, sat at the bar. I've learned when anywhere charges for bread, you should get it. I did. You know sometimes you are told of a great place, you go and then it's eh, this is the opposite. The staff felt not like employees but professionals. I watched the shuckers and chefs take great care in their craft and had an excellent martini. The oysters just tasted different than others I've had, including at other well known Seattle spots. If you are visiting and love oysters, this is the place for you.

Oysters were good. The beef tartar wasn't very good, it was very salty and sour, so we didn't finish it and mentioned the staff we didn't enjoy it but they still changed us for it.

Came here for cocktails and a bite to eat and will certainly be back if I’m ever traveling in the area again! Having four roses as the well bourbon to make an old fashioned was unreal and the bartender on staff knew what she was doing! Cocktails were incredible and the ambiance here was excellent.

This was walking distance from the hotel we stayed (Four Points) at which was so convenient! The outdoor seating / campfire area is gorgeous and so nice for summer! I got an aloha cold brew that was smooth and delicious. And the pear crisp waffle was so good and not too sweet. Even their basic farmers breakfast was good! Staff is super friendly and the service was quick and easy. It’s one of those places where you can order via your phone and can order as a group or individual.

Really good waffles. This is the first time I tried eating savoury waffles and they're pretty good. Huge menu selection and quick service. The place felt a bit cold though. It would be really helpful if you highlighted vegetarian and vegan options separately.. Tried the mushroom waffle(vegetarian) and turkey waffle. Both tasted really good.

Now I know what to tell people when they ask where the WORST place for breakfast is... The food was terrible, it was SO cold and flavorless and the coffee was terrible too, also what kind of breakfast place doesn't have free refills on drip coffee ESPECIALLY for their high prices. The staff has an attitude and you have to order your food yourself online, get water and silverware yourself AND buss your own table which isn't a big deal but if we had known that we wouldn't have tipped so high for having to do all that. We will NEVER be back, this place is AWFUL for breakfast. Please imagine someone screaming in agony at the end of this review just to understand how bad it was. Thanks.

The ambience is great, with outdoor seating. The food was average though, I got the Huevos Rancheros, scrambled eggs, tortillas with avocados and black beans. I would only rate this as average.

Expensive and fancy little chocolate shop. The free sample as you come in is a nice touch. We didn’t enter planning to buy much, but the staff was so kind that we ended up purchasing one of the lacquer keepsake boxes and filling it with truffles. It was our anniversary, so it only seemed necessary. The dark hazelnut diamonds were by far my favorite, and reminded me of gianduja from Europe. Husband loved the raspberry truffle. We also purchased the grey sea salt dark chocolate thins, which are delicious. This is a fun stop for fine chocolate lovers or for a special occasion.

First time visiting Fran’s and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere was cozy and the staff were all friendly, but Woods truly stood out with her amazing customer service. She was so accommodating for my first visit and recommended the warm matcha latte with caramel, which was absolutely delicious on a chilly day. I also picked up some caramel chocolates—so good! Totally worth the trip. Thank you, Woods, for the wonderful experience and warm welcome. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend stopping by!

Love love love. Fran's chocolates are over the top decadant. We were greeted by smiling faces, and a sample of the dark chocolate salted caramel. I was drawn to the bonbons behind thr case - they were so beautiful...were recommended the mixed box of bonbons. Flavors were pistachio, matcha and sesame. Each bonbon had defined flavors my favorite out of the three was sesame. We also took an iced mocha - it was perfectly rich but not overly sweet. The staff were so accommodating. Also everything is packaged so well!

I loved my first visit to Fran's so much that I returned a few days later and tried even more. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. I love the coconut almond gold bar and the raspberry truffle. I liked the oolong truffle more than I anticipated (it has layers of taste from start to finish and the tea taste is not overpowering). I had to try the unique sesame bonbon and would get it again. I found the first bite surprising, but the second was the perfect mix of savory and sweet. I anticipate going back when I'm in the area!

La Parisienne Bakery, Seattle's best French patisserie, offers a relaxed setting for sampling their renowned pastries, breads and sandwiches. Weekly wine dinners are also popular here.
I lived a long while in NY, and there are a few bakeries that rival what I had out there. I believe the naysayers who have negative reviews just don’t have very good taste. I think the locals have a warped sense of what good coffee really is. Also, if you’re going to dine in, expect it to be crowded because it’s a bakery that is serving lots of food to take out—this is very common for bakeries! Now— onto the food and my perspective of service! This is hands-down, some of the best coffee I’ve had in the states. I don’t know what they’re doing, but it is just exquisite. That cappuccino was perfection. I cannot tell you how many times I get cappuccinos that are so darn sweet, coffee in general everywhere is too sweet. I could taste the flavor and it was so perfectly balanced. I love all the pastries. I’ve had so far— and I get different ones almost every time I go. The balance of crunch and fluff and fruits, it is just so damn good. Those little almond crunch cookies, whatever they are called, in cappuccino is simply amazing. Service is very straightforward to the point, which honestly felt just fine to me, like I said New York. They normally have a line out the door and need to keep things moving. I personally like to dine in because these are best eaten fresh in the bakery. These types of pastries do not keep well into the evening, so enjoy them fresh! I tried to bring all traveling friends and family.
Athena C — Google review
Tried La Parisienne French Bakery and had a pretty good experience overall! We ordered both the chocolate mocha and the regular mocha—both were excellent, rich, and perfectly balanced. Their pastries were delicious too, with a beautifully crisp crust that stood out. The vibe of the place is relaxed and cool, making it a great spot to hang out for a while. They also have an extensive variety of food options for a bakery, which was impressive. We did take a tiramisu to go, but unfortunately, it had gone bad by the time we got home, which was disappointing. That aside, it was a good visit, and I’d be open to trying it again.
Wanderlust — Google review
Feels like we’re in Paris! The lady who helped us was so very friendly and helpful. We had a great experience and enjoyed our food so very much! The granola was unique, unlike anything I’d ever had with some small pieces of meringue in it. Very delicious! The eggs were super fresh.
Meg E — Google review
Truly Excellent French-Style Bakery and Coffee This is an absolute must-visit for anyone who appreciates high-quality baked goods. The selection of bread and pastries here is superb. Having visited local bakeries in Paris last year, I can confidently say the quality and flavor profile here are nearly identical. Everything I tried was exceptionally well-made. Both the bread and the pastries are of seriously high quality. As a bonus, the coffee flavor is also very good—a balanced and flavorful pairing for the baked items. This place is highly recommended if you're looking for an authentic and high-end bakery experience.

A bit loud for me, but the food was solid, and the coffee was pretty ok. My latte was a little bitter, but if you’re not a coffee snob like I apparently am, it’s great! Their deserts looked particularly delicious! The stag was very kind as well.

I happen upon this fantastic little bakery while biking around Seattle visiting after many years. What a delightful experience. I felt like I was in Paris. A glass of sparkling wine, a small pastry and two macaron. PARFAIT! The pastries were wonderful and the service was attentive and very friendly.
John K — Google review
Elegant ambience. The almond croissant was stunning. Mt raininer was too good - extremely tasty with right sweet, sourness and texture.
Anirudh S — Google review
This storefront bakery is quite pleasant when you first walk in. The fresh smell of a bakery first hits the senses and your mouth begins to water. I was the only person in line at the counter just looking over what I wanted to order while the girl behind the counter finished helping the person in front of me. Then just as she finished, another person walked in behind me whom I guess she knew because she welcomed him very friendly. He then told her what he wanted and she quickly got it for him without even saying anything to me. This of course took me aback because first off he knew I was before him, and second she knew I was before him. Oh well, moving on. I got my order and all the bakes looked delicious. I ordered multiple things to give it a fair chance at taste. I'll start with the creme patissiere, it was flavorless. I didn't taste it at all in the pain au raisin, which I'm sure is supposed to be there. The hazelnut pastry didn't have much hazelnut flavor. And lastly the macarons almost broke my tooth biting into one of them, they're supposed to be soft and chewy. On a good note, the almond pastry was delicious. If it weren't for the fact that this place is really overpriced then I would go back for this one thing. The plain croissant was also good, but I hope it would be for a French bakery. Anyhow, I hope your experience is better than mine.

Bar
Restaurant
Boat Bar, formerly known as Bar Melusine, is a charming spot in Seattle owned by renowned seafood expert Renee Erickson. The bar offers a limited but delightful menu that includes local oysters and inspired French small plates. The ambiance is described as "super cute," with its seafoam and white chevron tile, marble bar, gold accents, and whimsical map artwork on the wall.
Had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. What really stood out was the staff—they were incredibly nice, attentive, and genuinely cared about making sure we had a great time. It’s always a pleasure to dine at a place where you feel welcomed and valued. Highly recommend!
Mónica C — Google review
We decided to check out *Boat Bar* because we love all of Renee Erickson's restaurants. Overall, the place had some hits and misses with the food and drinks, but the service and staff were excellent, and the atmosphere was really charming and relaxing. We ordered oysters (a must!) and three other dishes to share. It felt it was a good amount for a couple. The tartare was delicious, and the scallops—while they looked a little odd—tasted great with a unique mix of flavors. The cauliflower, though, was a letdown—bland and mushy, definitely something we could have skipped. Same with the dessert; it didn’t really stand out. If you go, I’d recommend sticking to the oysters and "sea creatures"(turumtz). The place definitely has a great summer vibe, so I'd love to come back during warmer weather. Just make sure to bring a jacket if you're visiting in the fall—it was pretty cold! Overall, I enjoyed it, and the dishes are creative and always great to try. The chef Renee Erickson never disappoints.
Denise T — Google review
Boat Bar has long been a favorite, but on my latest visit, something felt off. The house-made nori crackers with steak tartare were the clear highlight—crispy, briny, and perfectly complementing the delicate richness of the steak. That slight taste of the sea elevated the dish beautifully. Unfortunately, the bread pudding, which used to be amazing, was a disappointment—cold, stale, and lacking the depth of flavor it once had. It’s a shame to see a once-stellar dish lose its magic. Overall, the atmosphere and service are still solid, but I can’t shake the feeling that things are slipping. Ms. Erickson, please bring back the love that made this place great! There’s still so much to love here, but a little extra care could bring Boat Bar back to its former glory.

Oysters, clams, white wine, oh my!! We had an above and beyond dinner at Boat Bar! Every dish was superb! My favorite was the Manila clams, and the broth was perfect for dipping. The service was so kind and the ambiance of the restaurant was adorable. We will be back to take advantage of their incredible happy hour specials!

We sit in the bar because we didn't make a reservation. It's a cute place. The bartender was really good. We get two cocktails ( Paloma, French 75), really balance and well done. We order smoked scallops, asparagus and tartar. Every dish were tasty and delicious.

Visited Boat Bar on our day trip to Seattle and the food definitely did not disappoint. The restaurant is well decorated and has a relatively casual vibe, considering the price point. They have a small kitchen, so food is served as they are ready like tapa style. The highlight for us was definitely the vanilla clams and the beef tartar perfect balance of flavours and fresh ingredients. The only downfall was servers seemed a bit overwhelmed, but still well composed. The server for our table changed a few times, but hand over was a bit rocky. It was hard to flag a server, so we forgoed an extra bottle of wine since we were almost done with all our food by the time we got a hold of one. Overall, decent experience and great food maybe just a bit optimization required on the operational front.

Good French themed bar with yummy small plates. The restaurants under the Sea Creatures brand certainly do not disappoint and Bar Melusine is no exception. We ordered a few drinks and ate our dinner here to try out much of the menu. We enjoyed the frites as they were fried to classic Belgium style and fully of flavor. I also enjoyed the lamb and oysters. The lamb tasted very much like pastrami, but combined with the aioli it was divine.

SUSU Dessert Bar, located in Seattle's Chinatown International District, has quickly gained a devoted following since its debut in 2020. Chef Rashed, with experience from Michelin-rated restaurants in France, brings his expertise to this walk-up window bakery. The menu features a delightful selection of high-quality French-inspired desserts with creative influences from various cultures. Visitors rave about the lychee cream pana cotta and the unique orange cupcake and strawberry cream puff.
Update - lychee cream pana cotta reminded us of the ispahan desserts we had in Paris. So exquisite and delicious! Update - the orange cupcake - wow. The strawberry cream puff - wow. Just get everything on display; you won’t be disappointed. These are literally very special pastries that you won’t find anywhere else around the world, trust me. It is such an underrated gem in Seattle. Update - the durian ice cream took my breath away. The edible flowers and sweet corn were a graceful touch. Recommend. This place is the TRUTH. Every pastry they have sold there is DELICIOUS and true edible work-of-art! I am originally from Malaysia. Chef Kai is really doing our culture justice and it sounds silly, but tears of pride were streaming down my face when I bit into the durian pâte à choux. I have tried many of their pastries in the past two weeks (lol), and the show-stealer is definitely the DURIAN PATE A CHOUX!!! Definitely get this if you don't get anything else. The taste of durian is so subtle and not overwhelming at all, especially to people who are new to the world of durian. It was a fusion of ice cream and puff pastry. The next best thing is the kouign-amann. Very crunchy and heavily caramelized. Delicious. Still good the next day! Fantastic job to the chef(s). These pastries are as good, if not better, as the ones I have tried in Paris. Get here early before opening (11 AM) because there will be a line! They sell out quickly.

I recognized this place from a bunch of Instagram posts and we stopped to try it. We ended up here at like noonish which is apparently late in the day so we couldn't have all of their offerings. We got the durian puff, the curry potato tart and whatever cookie they were offering. No complaints about any of the food but I sure would like to try their whole menu someday!
No N — Google review
I usually don't wait in line for anything, but I would happily break that rule for SUSU. It's that good. SUSU is a walk-up only shop in the International District that only opens Friday to Sunday from 11am to 3pm. If you want to have the whole menu to choose from, however, get there before 12pm otherwise you might miss out on their popular "Durian Pâte à Choux", or the seasonal cake which they offer just one with 8 (big) slices each day. That's what I like about SUSU. They don't aim to sell as much as they can but only bring out the best quality stuff. Their menu is "chef's choice" and is always featuring something new and fun. Durian Pâte à Choux, Whiskey Truffle (my two favorites and damn they are making my mouth water now!), Basque Cheesecake, and Kouign Amann are menu staples; then they have cakes, flatbreads, scones, tarts in different, elaborate flavors every week, even cookies! One week you have Coconut Orange Poppyseeds Cake, the next it's Tropical Carrot Cake. I enjoy going to SUSU not knowing what they have and surprise myself. I never failed to find something intriguing and I'm glad to have my favorites on the menu every week. SUSU's Durian Pâte à Choux is popular for a reason. Its crust is crunchy but thin, wrapping inside a generous amount of smooth, refreshing durian cream. Not too sugary nor heavy, it tastes like the sweet breeze over an Indonesian beach. When I got the Smoked Salmon Pesto Flatbread, I wasn't expecting cream cheese stuffed under the thick salmon slices and was impressed by the complex and well-balanced layers in one single pastry. When a lox bagel often goes north of $10, this flatbread for $6.5 is absolutely a bargain and by itself justifies the 15-min wait. When a place is so good that it has a perpetual line, their staff often gets cocky or arrogant, but SUSU's lady at the window is such a sweetheart, taking care of everyone with a beam of glee and ardor. She obviously enjoy bringing deliciousness and happiness to her customers than wearing her pride on her sleeve. I really appreciate that.

This is one of the best bakeries I have ever been to. Everything we got was delicious. The basque cheesecake was so light and airy. It was the first time I ever tried that style of cheesecake. First time trying kouign-amann too. I never see anything like this where I live! Maybe I’m not looking in the right places.
Livi N — Google review
Followed them for years and met them at a market. So delicious and delighted they have a store front. I recommend first time visitors to check out their menu and IG. I ordered Pâte à Choux Durian, Basque Cheesecake slice, Chocolate Hazelnut tart and Salted dark chocolate chip cookie. Everything was delicious! I'd go back for their pâte à choux (try any if avaliable) and the cookie. Their cheesecake is my type, simple, creamy and a nice thick slice. I also got their Vietnamese coffee as an iced latté (very good coffee bean don't walk away without trying this). Loved anything with gold leaf garish too.

Earth shatteringly delicious. You MUST go. They make stuff I've never even heard of, and it's always so delicious, you need to sit down to gather your strength. Seriously, the Thai iced tea and yuzu macaroons are ABSURD. Those little dark things... Ugh. I can't even. The curry beef sandwich was SO tasty. I ate this stuff hours ago and thinking about it has turned a faucet on in my mouth. Not going is doing yourself a disservice. Go now, and see what you've been missing.
Joe — Google review
I didn't know anything about this bakery, until I noticed a long line of people waiting outside the front entrance. I gave it a try and this is the best decision I made today. Their whiskey truffles are godsend from heaven. It has a rich flavor, from the combination of dark chocolate and truffles, but not too oily or greasy. I will definitely come back some other time to try the rest on their menu.

Open 11a-3p Friday-Sunday. You can view the daily selection of pastries and cakes at the window and order at the door. They also have drinks and lunch specials. The durian puff pastry seems to be a popular item here. You can also bring your own Tupperware/containers if you want to help reduce waste 🙂

Eclectic restaurant
Restaurant
Iconiq is an upscale restaurant in Mount Baker, Seattle, offering a unique fusion of refined French and Japanese cuisine. The restaurant provides stunning views of the Seattle skyline, making it an ideal spot to enjoy a romantic sunset while sipping on sake or wine. The menu features hyper-seasonal dishes made with high-quality ingredients, such as chilled corn soup, miso-laced salad, juicy ribeye with black truffle, and perfectly cooked scallops.
Food exceeded our expectations, very rich in flavor, a very interesting combination of Asian and French taste. My husband and I literally went from 🤨to 😍after the first bite. Food portion was small though, that’s the characteristic of French cuisine. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a food adventure
Peijie H — Google review
Wow wow wow, Every bite was a masterpiece as the experience was so special. The Chef delivered and explained every dish. His passion and love felt in with every word. I shared that we visited because my friend went to his class during the bit of Seattle and made a reservation because it was so good. He surprised us with the dish he made that day (not on the menu). Worth every penny and I am so lucky to live 5 min away. I can’t wait to return!

I love this little gem of a place. Second visit and everything was delicious and beautifully plated. Recommend as a romantic or just relaxingly indulgent evening out.
Sandra O — Google review
The dishes were all excellent and full of flavor while having a great visual element as well. The leek soup had a wonderful unctuousness. The duck breast was perfectly warm, soft, and the fat rendered; wholly satisfying with a light glaze. The fish was a flaky Branzino with a skin just crusty to add to the earthy flavors of the foraged mushrooms. The sake selection was outstanding. We really enjoyed the dining experience. There were multiple families with active small children on a Saturday night though.
Millie J — Google review
What a delightful dinner! The Wasabi Herb butter paired with the perfectly tender filet mignon dish was done fantastically. I loved the crispy hashbrown. The Braised beef and sweetheart looks small in the photos, but I swear that it it sizeable, 2-3x what the photo makes it out to be. The size/ shape of the plates make the food look small in pictures. We went on a Wednesday evening, and the space felt private. Small critiques would include the mashed sweet potato which reminded me of the Chinese sweet version of Hawaiian bread that I associated as a cheap flavor. Green beans were fresh but the chew felt rubbery. It may be common in American/ European cuisine, but I was not a fan of it. The menu is well priced, flavors were great, and we left full. I will be back!
Lily — Google review
Nice spot in the neighborhood for an intimate, upscale dinner. The space is small, so plan to make reservations. Time it so you can see the sunset from the gorgeous views. In regards to the actual meal, while the food we received was tasty, nothing blew me away. For the price, I was left wanting more flavor and interesting dishes personally.
Jeremy Y — Google review
We were seated at the bar, which I think was a real treat. fantastic view downtown Seattle, the Olympics, and the sunset. Each course was better than the last. We had the baguette, tempura with burrata, the filet mignon with the shrimp, iberico with polenta, the special tomato desert, and the peach desert. Zero complaints for any dish that we had. It was clear that each dish had the highest quality ingredients and the flavor profiles were unique. Mixing tempura with burrata was absolutely a win, so was the tomato desert dish. The dishes gave me the impression that the chefs just enjoy food and what they are doing. The portion size was decent, we were both very full after our meal. And the ambiance was interesting. Almost like a private chef experience as opposed to eating at a larger restaurant. The chef has an affable personality so it was great speaking to him about the dishes. This place will be great alternative to eating in the city for a business dinner or a dinner out with your loved one. Street parking, so maybe add some Time for that, but we were lucky and found some quickly.
Janelle E — Google review
Beautiful ingredients not used to their potential. Filet mignon topped with unseasoned foie gras, Iberico Pluma coated in a sweet glaze. $30 to add black truffle to any main arbitrarily. Dining room partially used for storage, nice wine or sake offered in an ice bucket but then squeezed in the window sill in direct sunlight. Overall a pleasant evening but it's not fine dining and it's not worth the price tag.

Formerly known as Pan Pacific, Denny Park Hotel is an elegant accommodation option in Seattle's South Lake Union area. The hotel offers rooms and suites with Space Needle views, providing a luxurious and convenient stay for travelers. Its zen design and proximity to downtown Seattle's attractions make it an appealing choice for those seeking luxury and convenience. Guests can enjoy state-of-the-art amenities, exceptional accommodations, and unrivaled facilities in the heart of the city.
We love Denny Park Hotel (formerly Pan Pacific) and highly recommend it for anyone visiting Seattle! My parents stay here whenever they visit us for special events, and the service has always been outstanding. The staff go above and beyond to make their stay memorable—whether it’s a handwritten note wishing them a happy birthday or anniversary or warmly acknowledging the occasion at check-in. Every team member is incredibly welcoming, from the front desk (special shoutout to Rita!) to the valet. The recent renovation has made the rooms even more beautiful and comfortable, with thoughtful design touches that enhance the stay. It’s rare to find a hotel that consistently delivers both exceptional service and a luxurious experience, but Denny Park Hotel does just that. If you're looking for a place that truly cares about its guests, this is it!

I came to seattle after finding this hotel had special bathtubs and views of the space needle. I was not disappointed one bit. The room was so very nice and the staff made the trip extra memorable. I seriously do not want to check out and will be coming back here every chance I get. I was very nervous to book with the construction reviews going on, and yes, they are remodeling the front of the hotel so it is not visually appealing on the way in BUT I haven't been able to hear any construction since checking into my room and we are well into the next morning. Thank you so much to the wonderful staff for making my birthday stay here one to remember.
Hailey — Google review
Had a very pleasant stay! Rooms were very clean, newly renovated and modern! But they have some renovations still occurring so if you plan on staying I'd suggest having your room be on the higher up floors since it looked like the lobby floor was mostly affected. But I will absolutely stay again ❤️ Staff very friendly and welcoming
Hoomaikai P — Google review
Wow. This place takes the cake. They were NOT forthright on their website. Had I known that I'd pay over $200 a night to be directly next to construction, I'd have walked away without question. They make it seem like it's no big deal. But it's loud and miserable. Like, we couldn't just go back to our room and chill midday because it was constant noise against our wall from morning to evening. To top it off, they have a mini fridge that's totally pointless if you're sober. It's full of mostly alcohol and you can't put any of your own drinks in there, so I was just drinking lukewarm beverages the whole time. The location is good; the parking situation is odd and not well explained by them, which is whatever. All-in-all, I feel like I could've had a better experience anywhere else. I've never been at a hotel that had constant construction and I'm not sure why they didn't just go floor by floor and just not rent rooms adjacent to construction. It's very dumb. I would NOT come back here and would NOT recommend this place to anybody.
Jocelyn W — Google review
While the staff is friendly and the rooms are clean, the hotel is undergoing a heavy renovation on 5 floors and the lobby with drilling and banging all day non-stop starting as early as 7:17am There is no mention of the renovation underway anywhere on the booking site , so that was a big mistake to book here. the hotel main and only entrance as it is now is on the photo On a side note, - they don't have buffet breakfast as they advertise - their gym appears to be the one of a nearby condo across the street, heavily used by the condo owners and without wifi to use your device while exercising
Igor S — Google review
I simply feel robbed. When I arrived, the hotel was completely under construction: the reception was set up in a hallway, the Wi-Fi didn’t work, and I received neither the room upgrade nor the bottle of wine that were included in my reservation. I had to spend a significant amount on personal mobile data with my phone provider. The bar and restaurant were closed, and there was no room service. In short, there were no services at all. And yet, I paid the rate of a 4/5-star hotel — $300 per night. While the on-site staff were understanding, management refused any form of compensation after my departure (apart from a little amenity fee that they did not invoice, which is nothing). I truly don’t understand how customers can be treated this way.
Kevin A — Google review
Updated Review from March 2025 (1 star): I hate to say it because the location of this hotel is amazing for me, but I won't be returning. The on-going renovations are just too much and the room changes appear to be for the worst. The hotel staff where kind enough to find me a room prior to check-in time, they told me it was one of the recently renovated rooms and I was excited to see the changes. The room itself looks great! However, it lacked a fridge or mini-bar--there was just a hole for one in the desk. The desk itself had no lighting, making working after hours difficult. The room phone didn't work. The new decor was uncomfortable and useless but looks great. The couch by the window was too narrow and uncomfortable to actually sit on, the desk chair was uncomfortable and there was no cozy reading chair like the old room had. The bathroom had no towel racks to hang a towel on near the sink. The tub was so tiny that the wood bath tray must have been put there as a joke. If you could get more than 6 inches of water in that tub I would be amazed. I'm 5'10" and couldn't comfortably sit in it. The rain shower was nice, but the tub spout doesn't reach out far enough over the tub lip so if you try to fill the tub you need to content with water splashing off the lip of the tub, I guess the contractors never bothered to test it. Lastly, the noise from the construction was ridiculous. At one point it sounded like they where coming through my wall at 5:30pm at night and even as early as 7:30am. I called the front desk twice to complain. After checking into the room I had contractors using master keys to open my door. When they couldn't they called up another guy to unlock my door using a key--thankfully I had the safety latch on since I was just stepping out of the shower while all this was happening. Apparently the front desk never communicated to the construction team that they rented the room. What a disaster. Original Review from 2024 (4 stars): I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights while visiting Seattle on business. I was pleasantly surprised. The room was perfectly clean, well appointed and featured a separate shower and large soaking tub. The bed and furnishings were cozy and comfortable. The staff was friendly, professional, and extremely helpful. The location is excellent, and its located right above a whole foods market making getting snacks, drinks or other necessities convenient--especially if traveling with children or if you prefer to not go out to eat for all meals. My only nits: the low flow toilets are HORRIBLE, you need to flush them multiple times to "finish the job" and even then its unlikely you'll be rewarded with a clean bowl. It would also be great if they offered a guest fridge in the room rather than an over priced mini-bar.
Peter — Google review
We love Denny Park Hotel! Amazing staff that made sure we had an amazing mini vacation. They even treated us for my wife’s birthday. Our dogs had the best time looking out the big windows and they were treated like VIPs. The soaking tub was phenomenal! Hardly wanted to leave our room. The location was perfect and everything was walking distance. Thank you so much to the staff. We will be back :) only con was construction noise but they were very clear about the noise before we even booked the room. Can’t wait to see what they have coming.

Crepe De France is a counter-service crêperie located at Pike Place Market in Seattle, WA. They offer a variety of sweet and savory crepes that have impressed many visitors. The crepes are described as light, fluffy, and generously portioned. Customers have raved about the Crepe Aux Fraises Chocolat, which bursts with vibrant strawberries and chocolate, as well as the Crepe Au Salmon that offers a delicious and perfectly balanced flavor.
Walk around Pike’s Place Public Market you will stumble upon Crepe De France. Enjoy sweet and savory crepes. They serve big portions that are full of flavor. Must try when you are in Seattle downtown.

I remember back in the day when this was a crepe stand in the market that gained popularity and then eventually moved into this spot. It good to see a local business grow and succeed. Crepes are decent and quality has been consistent for as long as I recall them being there, over a decade maybe longer. Anyway, if you feel like a crepe you can't go wrong here.

My family and I were in Pike Place all day, we were feeling for some crepes and hot chocolate. It was a pretty chili early evening in January 2017. There’s lots of seats. The place is warm and comfortable. We opted for the strawberry nutella crepe. The prices were pretty steep but you do get a huge size. It was delicious 😋 as well as the hot chocolate ☕️. We shall be back to try other crepes on the menu.
Aileen C — Google review
We thoroughly enjoyed our crepe. We had just eaten doughnuts 🍩 and found this place. Walking through Pikes place. My wife had been craving Crepes, so we ordered a Strawberry, Nutella, and Whip Cream Crepe. Glad we did. It was delicious. It's worth a stop.
JF I — Google review
It was good. Nothing out of the ordinary. A little disappointed as we were told how amazing it was. Strawberries weren’t quite ripe and way too many of them on the inside. We enjoyed it though. It was super busy when we went and not a lot of seating. Would eat here again but not going out of my way.
Jennie S — Google review
The crepes are huge. I'd recommend getting two and sharing with someone! Tried the strawberry and vanilla cream and it was heavenly. The place is in pike place market but it's a little out of the way of the main hallway so it's quieter and less crowded.
Lauren H — Google review
If you are looking for a place to eat at Pike Place Market, I highly recommend Crepe de France. For one thing, it has plenty on tables of chairs making it one of the few places at the market where you can sit down and enjoy your food. The food is fresh and delicious, and the servings are huge! They offer gluten-free options!
Janet K — Google review
Stopped in for a quick brunch and was pleasantly surprised by how great the food was. We ordered the Crepe de dinde a lail, (savory turkey) and, Crepe aux fraises chocolat, (chocolate and strwaberry), the portioning was generous and the crepes were light, buttery, delicious, and complemented the strawberries and cream beautifully. For 2 crepes our bill was around 33$ Would reccomend to anyone who enjoys crepes. (Update, came back and ordered the Salmon crepe, easily my favorite by far.) ^_^

Luc is a charming corner cafe that offers a menu featuring bistro fare, pizza, and burgers alongside cocktails and house wine blends. The bistro, owned by Thierry Rautureau, is known for serving up French classics with finesse. The cozy two-room space is adorned with Moroccan lamps and exudes a lively atmosphere. Unfortunately, Luc will be closing at the end of August due to losing its lease.
The sad news first: Luc is closing at the end of August due to losing their lease. Get in if you can. This is French comfort food blended with touches of haute cuisine. The proprietors are incredibly friendly, as is all the staff. Everything my wife and I tried was superb. If Luc opens in another location, I will be one of the first in line.
Christopher W — Google review
The atmosphere is great, romantic and cozy. Service is quick and thoughtful. Food is well presented and street parking is not so hard to find. However, I think it’s really overpriced. The food is okay; the taste is not creative. The crostini was very burnt that gave a bitter taste. With the range of $20-30 for the main dish, I would expect a little more from this place.
Uyen T — Google review
I was with a large party and we were well taken care of. (Gratuity included in the bill) The food was great. Great steak, seafood and fries. The puffed potatoes were cool and tasted good but not worth the high price. The beef bergonion is top notch and recommended. I will definitely come back. Oh did I say the original cocktails were good too?
Bob — Google review
Visited based on a recommendation and I must say I am glad I know of this venue now. A quaint little cafe with a generous outdoor seating; perfect for a brunch or late lunch on a sunny day. They serve authentic french fare - the onion soup is to die for. Also worth mentioning is the cheeseburger and the accompanying fries - as if straight from a friterie! For dessert, share a plate of soft fluffy Beignets with coffee.
Vrunda — Google review
Great brunch spot that takes reservations! The food was delicious and the service was great. Plenty of street parking available around the restaurant. Definitely recommend the beignets (light and fluffy), the crêpe poulet roti and the eggs Benedict
