Ramen restaurant
Hokkaido Ramen Santouka University Village is a Japanese chain known for its velvety-rich tonkotsu broth options, including shio, shoyu, and miso. The restaurant offers in-store ordering with special takeout items like brothless mazemen and tsukemen. Established in Japan and later expanding to the US and Canada, Santouka's first American restaurant opened in Bellevue before extending to University Village.
my favorite ramen place!! the combo is my go-to, since both their ramen and rice dishes are so yummy! the shio ramen has the perfect flavor. i also like how you can order different sizes for the ramen. been coming here since 2019 and it’s always been amazing. the staff is consistently friendly which i think makes the whole experience! while they can definitely get busy with long wait times, you can also order for pick up which is always so fast. overall 10/10 highly recommend!

Hokkaido offers a solid but unremarkable dining experience in the heart of Seattle. The menu is standard for a Japanese restaurant, with familiar dishes that are executed adequately but lack standout flavor or presentation. Service was efficient & the atmosphere is clean/casual. Overall, it's a decent option if you're nearby, but not a destination worth going out of your way for.
Tylor J — Google review
The ramen is good! The portion looks small but is actually quite filling. So I’d do small if you’re not a big person. We’ve tried the Shio and the Shoyu. The Shoyu is more flavorful because of the soy sauce, but I recommend ordering the Shio and add a tiny bit of soy sauce if you want a bit more umami. Because the Shoyu one overpowers the pork both flavor.

It’s been decades since I have been back reason being is that they’re always packed but the food here has always been solid and well priced. I love their eggs
John C — Google review
The ramen was okay, nothing special. The service was a bit slow, we had to wait for 15 minutes for someone to come take the order. The staff were nice.
Bahareh — Google review
The vege Ramen is one of the very best I’ve had. Pair it with chili paste and corn. Also love their norishio potatoes. Service is quick and responsive, absolutely recommend this place if you’re looking for a good ramen.
Mahek C — Google review
This ramen spot is by far my absolute favorite, the food is hot, the staff is above and beyond! Everyone is great but I want to give Young and AJ a special shout out! They always I mean always make me feel like I’m at home with my family, their energy is always there! They deserve a raise or a promotion cause getting the amazing service we get feels amazing! The cooks are also great! The food is nice and hot! I came in once 15 minutes before close and the staff made me feel great, I felt horrible but they were all so kind. This is my number 1 spot to go! Thank you all for your amazing 5 star service 💜
Jennifer Z — Google review
I don’t know why Seattle randomly has so many good Japanese restaurants, and this is one of them. It is very authentic flavor of Japanese ramen (similar to or even better than the ramen I had in Japan) The service was also awesome!

Ramen restaurant
Ramen DANBO Capitol Hill is a modern Japanese eatery located in the heart of Capitol Hill, offering customizable ramen bowls in a contemporary setting with stylish blond-wood accents. This popular spot has quickly become part of the neighborhood's growing ramen scene, drawing crowds eager to savor their signature Fukuoka-style tonkotsu ramen. The menu allows diners to personalize their bowls by choosing noodle thickness, spice level, and soup strength.
The ramen here is tasty and rich, with a simple menu that still offers plenty of customization options to make each bowl your own. We didn’t have to wait too long, which was a pleasant surprise given how popular this spot is in Capitol Hill. The décor is nice and inviting, though it was quite packed and a little hot inside due to the weather and ventilation system. Service is quick, so it’s easy to get in and out. While the ramen was flavorful, my personal favorite was actually the pork donburi rice bowl — definitely a standout. Parking is mostly limited to street parking, so plan ahead. Overall, a great spot for ramen lovers, and I’ll definitely be back — especially for that pork rice bowl!
Thap4Aca N — Google review
I love this ramen; it's one of my favorites in the city. But last time I went there, I felt there were many factors that made the customer uncomfortable: fast music, no air conditioning, and they don't let us finish eating when they give the check. I know this is a busy location, and they have to keep people moving, but it was very unpleasant to eat in a hurry, feeling the pressure to finish quickly, and the uncomfortable atmosphere. I have wanted to come back, but I think about this, and I think twice. I hope they read this and make the customer feel better dining in the restaurant.
Laura A — Google review
One of the best ramen spots I’ve ever been to! A must-try for ramen lovers. I had their vegan ramen with miso broth and really enjoyed it. I also liked their “make your own ramen” style ordering system — it’s fun and customizable. The portion size is generous and definitely enough for one person. The place is small with only indoor seating, and there’s usually a queue to get in, but the service is quick and efficient. Overall, totally worth the wait if you’re craving great ramen!
Anushka J — Google review
The flavour lies in the broth! An authentic ramen place in Seattle. The place is usually crowded, especially on the weekends where you have to stand in queue for upto 1-2 hours... But the wait seems worth it. We added spicy flavours and thick broth for a richer taste.
Anupam S — Google review
Recommended to me by a friend and so glad we went! Great spicy miso ramen, the bowl is so customizable you can’t go wrong. Love the garlic paste on the table. Service was quick, portions were generous. Great bowl of ramen.
Mae K — Google review
Ramen DANBO is a MUST visit place for any ramen lover. We tried their Negi-goma Ramen bowl, loved how rich and flavourful broth the broth was bursting with flavours of seasame and scallions. The customization options to tick off from on the ordering form gives you options to choose from.. making it a fun experience while giving a chance to customize based on individual preference. Would love visiting again!!
Divya R — Google review
This is my favorite ramen shop in Seattle. I think that everything about the food is so good. The richness of the ramen broth, the texture of the meat, the taste/flavor of everything combined: 10/10. The ability to select a vegan menu is amazing to have, I love how you are also able to select the richness of the broth (non-vegetarian option, never had the vegetarian menu). Something to note is that they do NOT accept reservations and on the weekends/rush hour you can be waiting for up to an hour in the line. I would suggest to go at an odd time of the weekday for no wait!
Asia S — Google review
You might have to wait a bit, but trust me, the Ramen is totally worth it! The vegan option is the best in the whole Pacific Northwest. The pork one is really good too!!

Yoroshiku is a modern restaurant offering locally sourced Japanese cuisine and elevated ramen dishes. The menu features a variety of ramen options, including the popular spicy miso ramen with rich, buttery slices of chashu and sweet yellow-corn kernels. The spring menu includes exclusive specials like maguro dashi ramen, spicy wagyu ramen, and creamy pumpkin ramen, as well as a luxurious Wagyu uni truffle ramen.
TLDR; the ramen here is comfort food Between the two of us, we tried the spicy mushroom miso ramen and the pork zaru ramen. Both were absolutely delicious. The miso broth was super flavorful and the spice level was just perfect. I have to call out the boiled egg which was an extra - it’s odd to say this, but this is the best coiled egg I’ve had in ramen. It’s also loaded with mushrooms and other vegetables, which is such a bonus. We also tried the lychee martini, which was so delicious (albeit really strong!)
Pooja C — Google review
We visited on a Wednesday night around 8 p.m., and it was packed, which speaks to the popularity of the place! The ramen was delicious—rich, flavorful, but same level as other ramen places. The octopus cake was not very memorable, though. I would skip that one. The only minor drawback was that a couple of menu items were sold out, which seems to be a common occurrence based on other reviews. It’s understandable for a later evening on Wednesday, though. Service was efficient and straightforward, making for a smooth experience overall. All in all, a solid spot for satisfying ramen—worth a visit if you're in the area!
Denise T — Google review
Food was good. Tried Mushroom miso Ramen. Broth was flavorful. Chili oil added good spice. Portion size was good to justify the price. Protein size was decent. Vegetarian/vegan options available, and marked on the menu. Liked the experience overall, service was pretty good. Would try it again.
Rohit K — Google review
The food was really good. The ramen, meat and egg was perfectly cooked. Service was nice and polite. However, the restaurant is pretty small, they don't have enough space, and we were forced to wait for an hour on Saturday morning before being seated.
Violetta F — Google review
Overall a very good ramen spot, but the competition is tough here in seattle! Love that they offer cold ramen too, and the simple menu is nice. Be aware NO FISH ON TUESDAYS! Not a bad thing, means it's fresh, but needed to call it out. Overall I would definitely go back, but doesn't top some of the heavy hitters in seattle.
Landon K — Google review
Summary: Really solid and flavorful ramen offering in a small yet warm and welcoming restaurant. No wait on a Friday afternoon, expect to pay $15-20 for a bowl of ramen and $6-9 for sides. It’s a little on the expensive side for what it is, but I would recommend! Food: We got the wagyu brisket ramen. Everything about the ramen was cooked to perfection. The broth was very flavorful, but the meat portions were on the smaller end, which was true for the other ramen bowls at the table as well. We also ordered the Takoyaki which was about $8, but tasted fantastic! Service: Service was minimal throughout the meal but we were seated right away, the food was out quickly, and the turnaround for the check did not take long after we finished up. Nothing special, but no complaints Atmosphere: the restaurant is small, but it’s warm and moody with a full black interior. I felt relaxed with the warm lighting and the easygoing nature of the space.
Michael M — Google review
Stopped by for dinner and ordered the wagyu ramen. Overall it was tasty. I could always go for more toppings, but it had a lot of noodles. Prices were prob on par with other Seattle ramen shops, but either way the serving size filled me up. My girlfriend ordered a seafood special option, which tasted too "fishy" for me, but she enjoyed it.
Peter D — Google review
Yoroshiku ❤️ you have my heart. Best Ramen place I ever visited by far. Fresh broth and delicious preparation. Fisherman's Ramen - best was clams and salmon. Zaru ramens broth was the yummiest with sesame seeds, chilli oil and crushed ginger on the side. Tofu spicy miso topped in flavours. Tan taka tan drink was okay but go for the Lichiko drink (burns and heats you up with that first gulp) was delish. Matcha tiramisu is real...you can taste the matcha flavour on your taste buds. Limited covers so it's a must to be here on time. The staff is sweet and helpful, they'll make sure to make you comfortable and explain each ramen, it's ingredients even the drink. My heart was full just like that Bowl 🍜 My second visit and Yoroshiku never fails! The sushi, I felt should keep refilling... So good. Spicy miso chashu ramen, Zaru ramen and spicy tofu ramen was perfect for dinner after a year. There is always a waiting line here, but to our surprise we did find a table right away.

Japanese restaurant
Betsutenjin Ramen is a cozy Japanese ramen shop known for its Hakata-style pork bone ramen and dumplings. The Southern Japanese style broth, made exclusively from pork bones, has a dreamy and creamy consistency that sets it apart. In the past, getting this outstanding broth meant waiting in long lines, but now it's available for takeout.
We love this place. Been here half a dozen times & NEVER disappointed. Savory ramen. Succulent pork. Mouthwatering broth… 😋 …Oh, Man—where was I? Oh, that’s right—in RAMEN HEAVEN. We love that they have Japanese TV playing on the wall. Adds to the authenticity of the down-to-earth decor; straight forward, comfortably worn—like visiting some cozy family spot in a small corner of Fukuoka or something Relax and enjoy an excellent sake pairing with your meal Do yourself a favor & visit this place *Recommended* 👌
Will S — Google review
Really cool atmosphere and service was great. The ramen wasn't my favorite style as it was a little on the sweeter side but I still enjoyed my meal. Would recommend trying it out, probably much more vibey later in the night if you're looking for a drink.
Ayler E — Google review
The quality is pretty bad, compared to 3 or 2 years. Very watery and bland. It’s pretty pricy compared to other ramens in Seattle. They also removed the curtains and private seating, and added lots of table, to stuff as many people in as possible. The private curtain seating was something that makes them stand out in Seattle. And it took a while to pay, we overheard the people next to us were waiting for over 20 mins. Honestly would not come back.
Song C — Google review
This is authentic Japanese food in Seattle, and they’re open until 2 a.m., which makes it even better. I felt like I was eating in Japan. The atmosphere is great, the noodles are perfectly firm, and the soup is delicious. A must-try!
G 3 — Google review
The food is delicious and I love the seating BUT it took an hour to get our food, pretty sure she forgot about us because they were not busy at all. Then she realized she forgot us and still took another 15 minutes to bring the food out. The food was good then we wanted to pay because we need to get home and we tell her we are ready to pay. Instead of coming and taking our payment she started taking everyone else’s payments including two groups who got there way after us. My boyfriend had to full on wave her down to take our payment. Sucked to have this experience
Maria B — Google review
This little spot is awesome... With delicious food, it's one of my fav late night spots. The small menu goes to show it's not quantity>quality here. There are 2 options for ramen and 2 options for sides. I love the lobster salad, it's honestly my favorite item here. The downsides are that Betsutenjin is a small spot, probably only 20 seats max (usually >90% full), and never more than 3 people working, so it takes a while to check out after your meal particularly. Your order is usually taken quite fast and food comes relatively quick, but after you finish, it can take a long time to get your check, even when you ask many times.
Benjamin J — Google review
It's a small place so staff seem to rush you as soon as you are done eating, which is understandable. There were no places to put the coat or bag down. The broth was good, but the toppings were a little bit disappointing. Meat was also too chewy and prawns were small shrimps.
Seon — Google review
Probably the closest to authentic ramen I’ve had. Overall it was very delicious. I attempted to eat half and save the rest for later, but ended up finishing at 10 minutes later. The broth was very flavorful and I like the smaller noodle size. Wasn’t expecting the shrimp to be so small in my Ramen, but it was still good. It was packed when we got there, so we decided to take our food to go. A little on the pricey side.

Ooink Capitol Hill is a cozy and laid-back restaurant that offers a variety of inventive Japanese dishes, with a focus on pork-bone broth and vegetarian ramen. Chef-owner Chong Boon Ooi and his wife, Jiaxin Wang, serve up silky porcine soup in their small but inviting space above Broadway and Pike. The menu features non-traditional options like the spicy mapo tofu ramen, which transforms the classic Chinese dish into a flavorful noodle soup.
Excellent! We got the Kotteri and Shio Ramens. Both had delicious flavorful broth that was on the salty side (which I loved). The pork was tender and easily came apart. The noodles were tasty as well. I’d highly recommend this ramen as it is one of the best I have tried in Seattle! The location is above QFC and is quite small with limited seating and small tables. The service was great.
Olivia C — Google review
Mala ramen was pretty solid, has a good numbing taste and noodle texture is ok. Interior is a bit smaller and more intimate so definitely try to go during less busy hours. Overall service is not bad, just order at the front and they give it to you at the table. The gyoza and vegetarian ramen were good, overall a chill spot to try but nothing exceptional.
Leo W — Google review
The food is absolutely incredible! Must-tries include the mala ramen and the Malaysian spicy fried chicken. We loved our meal and will be recommending this place to anyone seeking a truly unique ramen experience you won't find anywhere else in Seattle.
Sandy Z — Google review
This is a great ramen place for a quick bite to each, lunch, or if you’re craving a different kind of ramen altogether. With very pork-themed options (hence the name), this is a great ramen spot for people who love a good meat-centered broth and flavor.
Jordan — Google review
Was looking forward to trying this shop since i saw the good reviews... was met with mediocre ramen in a tiny shop. Literally sitting on stools in a cramped dining area, you pay $20 to order at a tablet and grab your own food from a counter. Barely any interaction at all from staff. Broth was okay, but pork, egg, and noodles were all overcooked and cold. Won't be coming back, unfortunately.
Alice W — Google review
Don't let the hole in the wall appearance fool you. There is a steady stream of customers and the tables stayed full. Owner was so nice and didnt make fun of me asking for a fork! Would definitely eat there again!

The food was tasty and the service was fast. It’s self service place and you buss your own table. It’s good for in and out quick meal. We parked in the supermarket and it was free for an hour. We did shop afterwards at the market.

I wish I had took photos of the food we got the mala ramen and it was amazing! If you like a good level of spicy get level 3. The service was quick and friendly. The owner is there sometimes and she was amazing to talk to. If you are looking for a good spot to get some soup on a rainy Seattle day you should definitely come here

Restaurant
Midnite Ramen is a popular food cart in Seattle that serves up delicious Japanese-style ramen with lighter broths than other places in town. The cart rotates between different breweries, making it a great spot to catch dinner while enjoying some local brews. The noodles are top-notch, with perfect color, texture, and springiness. The rich but not overpowering broths and excellent chashu make for a satisfying meal.
This spot is an amazing hidden gem. Tucked inside of Figurehead Brewing, they have a full restaurant for orders of gyoza, karage, and takoyaki, as well as a quick serve truck that served up most of the ramen *very* quickly. I had the miso bold ramen (with black garlic and chili oil) and my son had the shoyu with pork. Both were fantastic. Chewy noodles, really nice accompaniments and egg, deeply unctuous broth. The gyoza are amazingly good, possibly the most flavorful filling I've ever had. Get here fast before these sell out (5 to 830 max). Service was fast and you can get beer at the brewery too so lots of fun choices. Very comfortable indoor seating as well as an open courtyard on sunny days
Charles M — Google review
It's okay ramen, but the price is good. The broth is really great! We both got the Sapporo miso and it was lovely. The noddles were only okay, and the pork, while tender, was flavorless. We got dumplings (with a needlessly complicated ticket system) and they were undercooked. The sauce that they came with was too acidic. Finding the place was also difficult. They do have easy to follow directions on their website, but it's tucked away. Also, it's called midnite ramen - why do they close so early?? Overall, pretty mediocre, but difficult to find, with an unnecessarily complicated ticket system for dumplings.
Shaylin — Google review
It’s a small, pretty hidden ramen place with no parking and a little yard with tables. I have mixed impressions. First of all, ramen…it’s good. Broth is a best part, noodles could be a bit chunkier 😏. But it still strong 3.5-4/5. Dumplings…oh, they have a pretty weird system with tickets, you buy some tickets (minimum 3 for 12$) and it can cover 15 dumplings. So, you simple cannot have just one plate, but you can keep your tickets and come back later. So, dumplings weren’t good, mine simple were raw and fell apart…I will come back to spend my leftover tickets, because I paid for that, but I wouldn’t recommend.
Stepan T — Google review
Literally the best ramen I’ve had in Seattle so far!!! The gyozas were also great. The ticket system was a bit confusing at first but I found the concept interesting! I’ll be using my tickets at a later time which gives me something to look forward to :)

Inside Figurehead brewery, Midnite Ramen continues to be one of my favorite ramen spots in Seattle. I tried the 50’s Classic Shoyu this time. I was not disappointed with my choice, especially with my low tolerance for spicy foods. If you’re in the Stone Way area and looking for some noodles, I would definitely recommend this place.
Alexander D — Google review
I'm a fan of Seattle ramen scene, and this place ain't it! The fact that it is served in a paper bowl is already off putting to begin with, even the actual 'yatai' in Japan uses actual ramen bowl. And where's the soup? Halfway I was already done with it and everything just runs salty after that, not worth the price point. Noodle was overcooked and the soup was sooo oily, it's like they're trying to make up the lack of broth taste with oil & salt. Place has great vibe to drink and it's a passable food for 'drunk food', but it tastes fusion
Claire — Google review
Midnite Ramen is inside the brewery in the back. It was hard to find so we had to ask the person behind the counter at the brewery. We went after 11 pm and they only serve ramen after a certain time, everything else like dumplings is stopped. We got the miso ramen with chicken and it was really good. The spice in it was amazing, and brought life to this dish. I would keep this place in my backpocket for whenever it’s late and I need ramen. Plenty of seating area, shared with the brewery.
Rupesh D — Google review
We came here to try the ramen and gyoza a couple of months ago. To get gyoza, you have to get at least 3 tickets for 5 gyoza each. Supposedly it's easy to redeem any unused tickets but in practice, we haven't been able to! Today is the final straw - clearly posted "new hours" of 3-8:40 pm. At 4:10 pm we were told they're not available until 5. The other night, they said they just stopped service (also during those hours). So it's a scam? So weird. Save your $$$ and don't go here!!

Kizuki Ramen & Izakaya, located in Capitol Hill, is a trendy spot offering Japanese noodle soups and small plates alongside an impressive selection of whiskey, sake, and beer. The restaurant prides itself on serving the freshest and most authentic ramen by using unique cooking techniques to enhance flavors.
I ordered delivery & it was perfect! All my items were included in a cute delivery bag & nothing spilled. They made sure to mark which ramen broth was the low sodium one, which was especially important for me (the ripped labels in that pic are my doing--removed my info). The prawn cutlets are my favorite thing to order from here, but honestly I'm really impressed with how good everything tastes. I'll definitely be ordering from here again!

Tried veg spring rolls and it's tasty. In delivery apps please mark veg and non veg clearly to quickly order the food . For items like momos and spring please clearly mention ingredients used. Like if it contains mushrooms or not in delivery apps. This helps us make decisions faster. Apart from no concerns about taste of the food. It's really great

Stopped here for dinner on the weekend. The ramen variety available looked interesting so I ordered the Yuzu shio ramen. Had a light broth that was refreshing and not greasy. Karaage and takoyaki were just okay and we could tell takoyaki was not freshly made (assume from frozen). Service was a bit slow yet wasn't too busy inside.
Janice Y — Google review
Without a doubt, the BEST ramen I have ever had in my life. I traveled to Seattle for a convention, and for the brief time I visited, I ate here for dinner TWICE because that’s how good it was. The staff were friendly and the food was amazing. Don’t let the wait times intimidate you, the food is WORTH it! Highly recommend the Yuzu Shiyu Ramen!

A true hidden gem, though the space is quite limited. The seating area is very tight, which may be uncomfortable for larger guests and unfortunately not accommodating for wheelchair users. Seating options include both a small number of tables and bar seating, making it best suited for smaller groups or solo diners. That being said, the food itself is outstanding! Absolutely a 10/10. The ramen is rich, flavorful, and clearly made with care, balancing depth of broth with fresh, well-prepared toppings. It’s the kind of bowl that reminds you why ramen can be both comfort food and a culinary experience. If you don’t mind the cozy atmosphere, this is a place worth visiting for the quality of the meal alone. It’s not the most accessible or spacious spot, but for those able to squeeze in, it’s a memorable and delicious experience. I highly recommend the Takoyaki!
Victoria V — Google review
The garlic tonkotsu ramen - marvelous 🙏 Rich and full broth, noodles cooked just right, and the soft boiled egg was delicious. Highly recommend. Also, the cold house sake is a great addition to the meal. Don't miss this place.

I always wanted to try the Kizuki branch of ramen shop and it’s is pretty good! Although the seating was unclear and disorganized, the waiter at the front did try to seat us once she noticed us waiting along with other people. We sat at the bar and the ambience was nice and calm. I came with someone, and we ordered the chicken ramen and miso ramen—both had very nicely seasoned broths and noodle textures. The broths did have a nice smooth and creamy texture and rich taste for both ramens. Although, I would say that the pork for a miso ramen is rather pathetic with it being a thin, one sheet of pork. I understand the different styles and cuts of pork, but one piece only? The service was fast enough and the food came out quickly. Overall, it was enjoyable if you want a casual quick bite. I would go here again!

Went in for solo lunch date on a Sunday. They have a bunch of different soups to pick from which I love because sometimes the options are limited and repetitive. Cesar was my server, he was polite, attentive and not at all pushy which I appreciated because I wanted to be alone. Soup came out quickly and hot, I liked the extra chili on the side. Egg was runny/jammy and the noodles were delish.

Samurai Noodle is a local ramen chain offering a variety of options with in-house made noodles, served in a simple setting. The chicken ramen stands out for its rich flavors and perfectly cooked noodles, while the spicy shoyo tonkotsu ramen offers an exciting flavor explosion. Additionally, their melon-flavored drinks enhance the overall dining experience.
I can’t get enough of this place! The spicy garlic rice is my absolute favorite because it’s so delicious! OMG.. and I’ve tried a few of their ramens, all of which have been amazing. This spot is truly addictive!! I’ve been quite a few times already and will now officially add it to my list of go-to staples. Highly recommend for anyone craving great ramen and flavorful dishes in the U District!
Corey S — Google review
This is a place where you go in, pick a spot, then you're waited on, pay at the counter. I was in the mood for some spicy ramen and the spicy shoyu tonkotsu ramen hit the spot that day. I was given water, but no refills, not great when you get a spicy dish. However, the value isn't there, especially if you get the karaage, $8 for four medium size pieces of chicken. For ramen, a side, and tip, it was $33, one of my most expensive lunches in the U district.

Well priced, tasty, and great service. Will come again! Great vegan options too! Cheap sake that tastes good 😌 Make sure you have enough friends if you commit to a bottle!

I liked this spot fairly well. One thing that I will say was the noodles were a little thin for my liking. However the broth definitely makes up for it. I got the tonkatsu ramen and the broth was so creamy and the taste was so phenomenal. The service was solid as well as the atmosphere. We went during a super nice and quiet time of the day where it felt super calm within the building. Overall would definitely recommend coming here.
Ava — Google review
First issue was probably ordering this as a delivery order. Noodles are always better fresh. BUT they did a great job packaging. The kaarage was really nice crispy. Loved the chili sauce it came with. The takoyaki was a little too soft for me, but it was due to steam from the package. The noodle type was not my favorite but I am glad I gave it try to know now. I loved the soft boiled egg. I think this would be a better place to go into and enjoy for sure. I did appreciate the different options for soup bases. Give it a go but in person.

Arashi Ramen is a popular spot in Seattle known for its comforting Japanese soups. Chef Daisuke Ueda's 16-hour simmered pork soup brings out rich flavors, offering options like shio, shoyu, and miso. The Arashi ramen, a salt-based shio with three strips of pork belly, is a must-try. For the adventurous, there's black garlic ramen or spicy tantan men with sesame paste and seasoned ground pork.
Order the Arashi Ramen bowl 🍜 now! It's super yummy 🤤. I came by for lunch with a friend and we both agree that this ramen shop is the best in Ballard! Quite authentic with rich broths and the karaage was perfectly cooked if you like chicken.

Not too busy on a Sunday night, they have very limited seating, half of which is at a bar. The chicken karaage was good but it doesn’t come with sauce and the pieces were quite small. I really liked the spicy miso tonkotsu ramen! I got a level 2 and it was sufficiently spicy :) food came out pretty fast as well.

Such a cute restaurant and very nice staff andddddd the ramen hit every note. The broth? Silky and rich. The noodles? Chewy perfection. The egg? Absolute show-stopper — perfectly jammy and full of flavor. And those green onions on top? Added just the right freshness and bite. Every spoonful felt like comfort in its best form. If heaven had a menu, this bowl would be on page one. Easily the best ramen I’ve had lately.

Menya Musashi Tsukemen & Ramen is an industrial-chic warehouse that serves up traditional Japanese ramen with a variety of broths and toppings to choose from. It's known for its tsukemen style ramen, making it a great option for noodle lovers. The restaurant offers both ramen kits and ready-to-eat ramen, catering to different preferences.
Wasnt planning on trying this place but saw their sign on the street and decided that I haven't had real ramen for months. I wanted to try something less vanilla, and the server recommended the Hybrid ramen, which is (to my understanding) Garlic, a bit of spice and the pork broth (tonkotsu). The Ramen: 1) while the bowl is small-ish, but it's full of food. Other ramen places give big bowl but also containing a lot of soup too 2) Taste: rich in pork broth. I can feel the collagen coming from boiling the bones for hours, and then of course the sauce and garlic. I wasn't feeling good so my taste buds aren't that sensitive, but the taste is rich enough to push through and making it tasty Service: as with every other restaurant and us as human being, there are good days and bad bays. While I can't say for others experience, but the servers here was extremely attentive - I didn't even finish my water and they already setting ready to refill it. That's why I ordered the croquette. 17 bucks isn't enough for that level of attentive service, so I made it to 20 with the croquette order. I came in hungry and feeling I might need some time to digest, and I still haven't touch the croquette...
Andre L — Google review
Service was nonexistent, it took 15+ minutes for a beer to get delivered to the table. Sushi was not fresh, seaweed was gummy on the interior. The roll also did not match the menu pic. Their photo showed whole pieces of fish while the roll we got was ground up meat. Spicy curry ramen was the best thing at the table. Very happy with this choice. Karaage and croquette bento box was a solid pic but nothing to write home about. Arrived at ~5:30 & were seated immediately. The restaurant filled fast after that though.
Josie S — Google review
Stopped here for lunch. The ramen broth was tasty and I enjoyed the tsukemen. The noodles were a perfect texture.
Agnes — Google review
Finally got to try this ramen place. Ordered black ramen (very flavorful but not too overpowering rich), spicy ramen tsukemen - hot noodles ( very well balanced broth and just the right ramen texture). Both ramen were ordered with sides gyoza (just average) and takoyaki (love it) along with side dish chicken nanban. Will definitely go back to try more and suggest to go off hours to avoid long lines. Happy to have this on the east side.
Early S — Google review
was really excited to try this place based on the pictures but found that the ramen lacked salt. maybe if we had gotten the spicy ramen it would’ve been better? we got an order of the black ramen and the miso ramen and we all agreed that it was just average without much of a flavor profile. the pork on top of the ramen was too tough as well. the gyoza was nice and crispy though! despite the food, the staff was very nice and the service was good.
Kailyn B — Google review
Vegan spicy miso and spicy curry ramen were good. Spicy curry tastes like maggi ( in a good way). The service was bit different with ordering from QR code in the restaurant. Will get busy in the evening. We went on a cloudy day, there were some flies roaming around.

Didn't have a reservation so we had to wait a few minutes for a table, and while it was not as much seating as we originally thought, the food made up for it. Absolutely delicious Ramen, and I think the open tab model is a cool idea if you wanted to keep ordering. It was worth the wait.

Original tsukumen: broth is very flavorful, maybe a little heavy imo. Noodle is the perfect texture but kinda dries up into a clump. Love the thick Chashu slice Takoyaki: average good Chicken karaage: average good

Tried this place tonight. Was fantastic! We shared a salad that was absolutely delicious and next time will definitely get our own. Also had edamame that was maybe a tad too salty but still good. I had vegi ramen with soft tofu. It was absolutely delicious. My daughter had the poke bowl and sad it was great! Can not wait to go back. Also, super reasonably priced. What a gem of a spot!

Amazing ramen! We are big fans of veggie ramen and have tried a bunch of spots. Nuna’s veggie broth has the perfect spicy kick and definitely ranks in our top favorites! This place is worth driving back to Fremont for. The ramen is excellent. Delicious broth. I ordered the chicken thighs for my son. He is a picky eater. He devoured them quickly. Service was excellent. Friendly and fast.
Karen R — Google review
We visited Nuna Ramen on a busy Saturday and were seated right away. The lone host was kind and courteous, efficiently managing seating, orders, serving food, and cleaning tables for the entire restaurant. Despite her being the only one managing the floor, she handled everything with grace. We ordered karaage chicken, sea salt edamame, charbroiled chicken, chicken ramen, and shoyu ramen. The food arrived reasonably quickly. The edamame and karaage chicken were delicious, with perfectly salted edamame and tender, juicy chicken. The chicken ramen was good, with the egg and garlic oil (an add-on for an extra charge) adding a nice touch to the flavor. Both ramen dishes were enjoyable, though a few more add-ons could have enhanced the depth of flavor. The prices were reasonable, making it a good value for the quality of food. However, parking in the area was a nightmare. The place is busy with lots of tourists and locals, making free street parking almost impossible on weekends. With some luck, you might find a spot in a paid parking lot. **Pros:** - Quick seating and courteous service despite being understaffed - Delicious edamame and karaage chicken - Reasonable prices **Cons:** - Parking is very difficult in the area, especially on weekends - Ramen could benefit from additional add-ons for enhanced flavor depth Overall, Nuna Ramen offers good food and service, but be prepared for parking challenges if you visit on a busy day.
Ashish A — Google review
The chicken karaage is very good - crispy and juicy. Everything else is ok. The ramen is thick to my taste and the tonkatsu tastes like smoked bacon. The pot stick taste like they could be from a bag of frozen ones. We also had an incident when the waiter dropped two bowls of ramen on the floor… very surprising but hopefully that’s a one time incident

Very good place. I don’t have ramen frequently enough but I found the dishes here very tasty. The soup was flavorful and I feel I got a pretty good portion for the price. The menu had several appetizing options and I look forward to trying more. The sides we picked up were quite good too. The service was nice and quick. This ramen chain has grown on me since they started opening restaurants in Seattle probably a decade or more ago. The ramen noodles are a good consistency and all of the other parts of the ramen like the soft boiled egg, greens, and pork are executed nicely. I also appreciate that they have outdoor dining when it's nice outside.

We had an enjoyable experience! I had the most popular dish which was a rich and salty broth. My wife enjoyed the dipping Ramen, which had a more pungent broth. Their noodles were good, but didn’t stand out as much as we had hoped. Staff were friendly and the atmosphere was nice.

I’ve visited Kizuki Ramen three times, and on two of those occasions, the food quality was honestly disappointing. Today, the chicken in the chicken shio ramen came as large chunks instead of slices, had no flavor beyond plain chicken, and included a mix of different cuts. The tonkatsu was extremely thin, dry for pork, and overly greasy from being over-fried. The only saving grace was the customer service, which was polite and attentive. 🇯🇵As a Japanese person, I’m quite familiar with Japanese cuisine. Given the price, I find the quality of the food quite questionable. I sincerely hope to see some improvement.

Modern chill place to hang out in the afternoon and the food is excellent. The soft shelled crab bao was so delicious! Salmon carpaccio and spicy vegan ramen was perfect as well. I would definitely go back and recommend this to anyone looking for new place to try out. We had a late lunch so the place was not busy but I can see how it can easy fill up. My friend had a margarita and an old fashioned so they have a full bar as well as good food.

Casual dining spot serving iron chef morimoto's ramen and roll creations. The tonkutsu broth was packed with complex flavor and the ramen was still springy and slightly firm, a very nice texture. Ajitama was spot on but the chasu I felt was dry and lacked flavor. The softshell bao was delicious, could eat at least four but my waistline and wallet would complain. Happy hr means you should definitely get one of the cocktails and for sure the chicken karaage. It was delicously tender, came with a umami sauce and definitely worth the happy hr price. I thought the duck fat fries were well done except they brought it towards the end of the meal and we were almost full. I think they forgot to put that in and I had to remind them

Holy moly, the ramen here is pretty good! Coming from several years spent living near Nagahama in Fukuoka and eating the original - literally - tonkotsu ramen, Momosan did a pretty spot-on job of serving the tonkotsu ramen i used to eat in Fukuoka. Other dishes like karaage and seaweed salad are nice, but you really need to go for the ramen at this restaurant. Stylishly decorated inside, and there are two levels of seating areas too. Right across the street from the Uwajimaya/Kinokuniya combo location on 5th. Parking is all street and parking meters. Highly recommended!

Took our friends here for a thank you meal. Did not disappoint. It's been on my want to go list for a couple of years and wow is the menu extensive and every single thing we got was incredible. Highly recommended their signature rib appetizer, tonkatsu pork, BB noodles, and soft serve ice cream. We got 4 appetizers, 3 entrees, 4 desserts, a round of drinks and a pitcher of beer and the whole tab before tip was $200 which I thought was excellent especially considering this is a restaurnt in Capitol Hill Seattle.

Very cool place. We got in and out very quickly without a reservation (went during off peak hours). The only thing we got was the Uni & Ikura B.B. Noodle (went twice just for it!). It’s very small so everyone is seated close together and you can overhear lots of conversations (esp if you’re sitting at the long tables). Too tight to bring kids or strollers, so I wouldn’t recommend it for families.

A Japanese place that has a broad selection of chirashi bowls, udon bowls, sashimi, and katsu. Tried their most well-known bara chirashi donburi and the aburi salmon hand roll (specials). Aburi salmon hand roll was really good! It came with 2 thick slices of aburi salmon. The chirashi donburi was good, but found the addition of wagyu kind of strange. It didn’t really work with any of the other chirashi ingredients, and it didn’t have its own seasoning either. There was also some bbq eel in the bowl, which I thought tasted a lot better than the wagyu and actually went well with the other sashimi. Maybe a better option would have been the unagi chirashi bowl on the menu. There is a line of counter seating and tables for two in the back plus two long tables in the center of the restaurant for groups.

If you’re looking for a Japanese side quest, Rondo is worth a try! I ordered the creamy seafood udon, Hellz Chicken, and the salmon chirashi bowl. The udon was perfectly creamy, the fried chicken was crispy with a nice little kick from the sauce, and the chirashi was fresh and well put together. Everything came out looking great and tasted just as good as it looked. For dessert, the soft serve is necessary. I’d recommend the hojicha flavor, which was balanced and so good. The restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere, and since it’s in Cap Hill it’s easy to walk to. Just be prepared that parking can be a bit tricky if you’re driving.

This restaurant is not large but it has a nice vibe. We are slightly disappointed about the platter, it looks better than how it tastes, the sashimi was mediocre and not particularly fresh. The noodles are flavorful though.

Greeted by staff at the door, promptly seated and served at 3pm. Less than 10 diners in the restaurant at that time, so service was quick and attentive. Hooks available on walls to hang your coats. Projector showing Totoro but image was misaligned to the left of the "screen" by an inch. Loaded up the online Happy Hour menu using the restaurant wifi and ordered the TEN-BERO SET [$10] (3 small bite size appetisers, pint of sapporo, cup of sake) and the UNI & IKURA B.B. NOODLE [$17]. Order served quickly, with a slightly longer wait for the appetiser trio (probably from the deep frying). Food was edible at best for what we ordered, but it definitely has nothing to crave for and won't be coming back for the same we ordered. UNI & IKURA B.B. NOODLE [$17] The noodles were satisfyingly chewy, but that was the only enjoyable part of the dish. The sauce was uninspiring, feels like something an Asian mum would conveniently mix from whatever condiments were available next to the stove and put together in random proportions. Over the predominantly sweet sauce, ikura looked fresh but was VERY salty. The teaspoon of uni was buried under the shaved cheese but did little in terms of texture or flavour to the dish. Wouldn't recommend even at HH price with the tiny bit of discount. TEN-BERO SET [$10] Appetisers took about 10 minutes to get served, bu it was a reasonable wait. Random mixed tuna over a piece of maki, something that tastes like heavily breaded spiced chicken bits and tuna/salmon mentaiko on a bite-sized piece of rice and seaweed. Reasonably priced for a set that comes with 2 drinks..... with a huge BUT. The sake was nothing to shout about, fragrant for the price but not very drinkable. Served chilled as I think it should be, it was sold as a $4 HH sake and tasted like one too. Couldn't finish half of that cup. The sapporo beer, though, was a confusing drink. I checked twice with two different service crew if the beer was straight from their tap, and they confirmed it was. It tasted like a watered-down, distant knockoff cousin of the Japanese-made and Vietnamese-made Sapporo I've had over the years - and the Vietnamese made sapporos are already a distant unloved copy of the Japanese made ones. The beer wasn't foamy at all, and even though there were bubbles clearly visible, I would call it relatively flat, especially for a draft beer. It had that fragrant ricey aftertaste like a real sapporo, but much more faint. What was most striking was how bland it tasted and how quickly the taste vanished. I can only describe it as a beer that was left to sit in a pitcher filled with ice and then poured out to serve when ordered after the ice has almost melted. But this clearly wasn't the case because both crew confirmed it was straight from the tap, and I didn't ask to sample a shot straight from the tap, so my only conclusion is that the sapporo from here tasted very different from the Sapporo I've been drinking over the years, whether from draft, canned or bottled. Just like the sake, I tried my best not to waste a drin, but I gave up after half a pint. Other food and drinks might be better, but these 2 orders were enough for us to not try the rest of the menu. Wouldn't return, and I don't know Seattle enough to know if this is one of the better Japanese choices out here. All I can say is not to order what I did. The only positive aspect of the food was the noodles that had an enjoyable chewy texture. This salvaged the food to a 3*.

Wow, the bara chirashi donburi is indeed luxurious. All ingredients are incredibly fresh. They are carefully selected and delightfully presented, with a thin vaneer of soy sauce on the bottom of the rice, which works in a harmonious way without overpowering the individual element, definitely the best chirashi I’ve had. Not to mention the price is extremely reasonable for the quantity and quality of food. We also ordered Hokkaido Uni shot and tonkatsu, the Uni was creamy and sweet, tonkatsu was fried perfectly and the curry sauce compliments it so well, and to my surprise, the pickled vegetable elevated the entire dish (seems to be sichuan style pickle rather than traditional Japanese?), such a great touch. Our waiter was nice and attentive, the chef/ kitchen staff were busy and very well organized. Even though there’re a few large groups, we were served in a reasonable time. Will definitely return.

Japanese restaurant
Onibaba by Tsukushinbo is a hidden gem in Seattle's international district, known for its traditional Japanese cuisine. The restaurant offers familiar sushi rolls, hot Japanese dishes like shoyu ramen and gyoza, and specials served at the sushi bar. Owned by siblings Marin and Shota Caccam, the restaurant upholds tradition with its sushi, ramen, and izakaya offerings.
Hidden gem! Everything we ordered was great, can’t go wrong with anything on menu, much better taste than some of those fancy shiny new Japanese restaurants. The only downside it’s a little bit worn out, tables and chairs for example, so take off one star from atmosphere

I wanted to find a Japanese place that is not just sushi or ramen or udon. I needed a typical Washoku(和食) style restaurant that serves varietes of menus. And this was it. -Udon was simple but had great texture noodle with savory enough slightly sweet flavored soup. Personally 8 out of 10. -Ochazuke was great mainly cause I really loved how its base broth was. It had very lightly savory flavor, which I imagined it being anchovy dashi? It was also great that there were many variations for how you can customize your ochazuke. -Saba Shio wasn’t really great. Saba means mackerel and shio means salt. But I couldn’t taste any seasoning from the grilled fish, not even salt really, or maybe just too little was there. -Yaki Onigiri with butter soy sauce on the top was amazing. Butter and soy sauce combined is one of my fav sauce and it glazed on the top of grilled riceball? Can’t ever go wrong for me. Would love to visit again but not sure how soon and how often cause even for 1pm lunch time, I had to wait for a half-hour. And other reviews indicate that waiting line for dinner time is also pretty bad. And I really really hate waiting on line. This place doesn’t seem to accept any reservations either, so too bad.

i really want to gatekeep this place, it’s THAT good. but alas, everyone’s super nice and everything we had was so so delicious so they more than deserve the business! saba shio was perfection, the curry udon is rich and comforting with a bit of heat, and my partner’s unagi don was out of this world. Compliments to the Chef, we had a great meal, thank you guys!

Loved this place. Really small spot with limited seating and hours. That said, some of the best Japanese food of its kind (and my wife is Japanese). The staff was really sweet and accommodating. Not really any downside to this place. They don’t have any toddler/baby high chairs, which was fine for us with our little one. We just held her. We will definitely recommend and be back. We ordered: Onigiri Unagi Cheese, Mokaido Cod Special, Onogiri Shrimp Tempura (Honey Mayo), Cheesy rice ball, Udon, Domburi

Tucked away in the Seattle international district lies Onibaba- a fantastic Japanese food and drink experience that exudes authenticity. Menu has alcoholic and non-alcoholic choices to start with a wide range of choices. The Lychee soda and Lychee Oolong tea are both fantastic non-alcoholic choices. They have beer and saki available as well. For food you really cannot go wrong. We had the edamame and gyoza along with California onigiri to start. All of which were excellent. For mains we had the Katsu Curry, Piri Kara Buta Bara Don, Mini Su Udon, Karaage Salad all of which were excellent and highly recommend. Portions are ample- you will not leave hungry! Service staff is helpful food was delicious. Wife approved! Place is small do make reservations if possible- otherwise wait will appraise 30-35 minutes. Very off the beaten path but extra worth it.

This has to be one of my favorite Japanese restaurants in Seattle! I lived in Japan for 5 years, and the quality of the onigiri here is incredible. They’re super generous with the toppings no matter when I go (price is good even for college students like me) and the flavors are very authentic. This place never disappoints!!! I always bring friends and they’ve all loved it too!
Michelle L — Google review
Special mentaiko onigiri: like the one in NYC more, but love the cheese + mentaiko combination. Cheese does get cold fast Tori karaage: not a fan, it was either too citrusy or salty and I can’t tell which one is it. Batter is good tho Environment: limited space and gets busy. I recommend coming right when they open
Athena L — Google review
Short 10min wait outside late on a Sunday evening. The ochazuke was delicious, but expensive for what it was, which is essentially rice and tea. I wasn't a huge fan of the spicy salmon onigiri as the scallions (?) were overwhelming. Everything was good quality though. Enjoyed the meal, but I think only worth visiting once for me

Uwajimaya Seattle is a renowned Asian grocery store offering a wide range of meats, produce, and prepared foods, as well as gifts and home goods. Situated in the heart of the Chinatown-International District, it is part of Uwajimaya Village, a mixed-use commercial/residential development.
I truly enjoyed the whole experience of shopping for snacks and eating lunch there! It was much bigger than the Mitsuwa in San Diego. We also got to enjoy a huge Japanese book store, which we don’t have any more in SD. Now I’m praying it’ll come to San Diego! We need one where we live.

08-30-2025 We came here planning to get several items for our soup. Somehow, we ended up speeding $137.68. No regrets, totally worth it lol. Everything was fresh: Tuna Furikake Poke $19.99/ lb, cilantro $0.99 ea, green onion 2/ $1 etc. While shopping, we lucked out and got a coupon, $15 off with $75 purchase. I think it was Labor Day weekend special, Aug 27th to Sept 2nd. What a deal! Service: Cordial and helpful staff We had a pleasant experience and will return again for more ingredients for our cooking. Enjoy shopping for your groceries y’all! : ) Oh, don’t forget to buy your partner or spouse flowers. They are beautiful and inexpensive, $20 a bundle. What a steal!

The store has an awesome selection of standard grocery items, asian grocery items as well as safe and good quality home goods products! We stopped in on our way out of town so we didn't get too many groceries but i was particularly impressed with their meat selection! They also had Gashapon!

I used to really enjoy the Mongolian Beef Rice from this store — it was flavorful and satisfying. However, recently I’ve noticed the portion of beef has gotten much smaller, while the onions have become a lot more. The taste is still okay, but the quality and balance of ingredients have definitely gone down compared to before. I hope they can bring back the original portion and quality.

Wow this store is crazy spacious. Its filled with all kinds of japanese and asian products and produce, all with great to reasonable prices to boot on most items. Theres also mini stores within this store ,a dining/seating area, and a few to-go mini shops . Very helpful and lovely staff, its just a good place to shop.

This supermarket has a wide selection of fresh produce and Japanese ingredients. I had the opportunity to visit Seattle and was looking for a place in the area where I could buy Japanese ingredients. They had a wide selection and I was able to find what I was looking for. I would like to come again.
Gulf S — Google review
Probably the best Asian grocery in the Seattle area. They have an extensive collection of imported ingredients, produce, fresh seafood, meat, baked goods, frozen food, desserts, cookware, and anything else you could ask for. They also have a solid food court and a handful of independent shops selling various Asian goods. I was lucky enough to visit while they had a huge selection of mooncakes available, so I was able to enjoy a delicious selection from Dao Xiang Cun, a centuries-old bakery. They don't seem to have much of a dedicated bakery within the store itself, but they sell a ton of baked goods from local Asian bakeries like Fuji, Le Bon, MCK Seattle, Akio's Bakery, and many others. If planning to stop by, here are a few things within the grocery section that you shouldn't miss: • An ozaku pan (from Umami Kushi right here in Seattle!) from their cold section. Take it home and heat it up in an air fryer for a delicious treat. I particularly like the curry beef. • A handful of whatever mochi flavors look good, also from their cold section. • A Calpico water—a super sweet, creamy, light drink. • A box of Melona popsicles (the melon flavor is top-tier). • Some Kasugai gummies and Puchao chewy candies. • Some goodies from the bakery section. My favorites are the miso chocolate chip cookies from Akio's Bakery, any milk cake from MCK Seattle, and the ube biko flan. And while you're here, swing by the food court for: • A BBQ duck combo from Waji's. The duck is so juicy with unbelievably crispy skin. Absolutely perfection. • A pork bun (called a manapua on the menu), also from Waji's. • A mochi doughnut (or half a dozen to share) from Dochi. • A couple treats from BeanFish. They're basically fish-shaped waffles stuffed with savory or sweet fillings. My favorites are the mmmBacon (savory with bacon, egg, and cheese), Jiro (sweet with red bean paste), and the OOH-BAE (sweet with ube cream). Eat 'em warm or enjoy 'em later. Plan to spend a while here to really experience it! Luckily they offer 2 hours of free parking in their lot if you spend $20 or more. Make sure you give the cashier your ticket when you check out so they can validate it. Be aware that they are strict on that 2-hour limit.

Bubble tea store
Oasis Tea Zone in Chinatown ID is a delightful haven for bubble tea enthusiasts, offering an array of Taiwanese-style beverages including hot, iced, and blended options. This cozy spot is perfect for grabbing a refreshing brown sugar bubble tea while enjoying some tasty snacks like their popular Taiwanese popcorn chicken. Don’t overlook their spicy sandwich—simple yet satisfying with creamy orange mayo and slaw on a soft bun. While the atmosphere can get busy, it’s inviting enough to make you want to linger.
Really good mango milk tea with boba. Glad to have a spot to rest, hydrate, and charge my phone after some intense walking through the city. I like that they have arcade games in the back too! Very cute and hip

Overall really good! Would come back again. There was a Boba Happy hour (3 dollars one cup). The bubbles were a little bit soft 🥲, but it was worth for the price🫡!
Paku — Google review
This is more than just a bubble tea place. This is a lounge for the visitors and this is a community for the locals. They have a lot of board games, and they have pinball machines. The owner and staff were very friendly and nice and recommended very good milk teas based on what we were craving for. The tea is on the sweet side (for me), so if you prefer not too sweet, make sure to ask reduced sugar. We were just in time for the special: $3 selected milk tea between 2 and 4pm on work days.

Cool place to hang out, good variety of flavors, and food is great here but sometimes have to wait 10-15min for it to come out. Popcorn chicken and waffle fries are the OG menu item and they have discounts on chicken/fry buckets once a week (might be doordash exclusive). Super cheap happy hour $2 drinks in the afternoon if you like the basic flavors!

Wooden booths, plywood walls, dimly lit, bar stools and tables surrounded with Indie tunes. We are enjoying our taro with Boba milk tea and lychee snow with Boba. This cool place nestled in Chinatown and a good break from ou walk through the many shops and restaurants.

This is truly the OG Boba spot! Been here since my highschool days when Boba just didn't exist much in Seattle! Their Slushy drinks have tasted the same since forever! Same with the popcorn chicken. However, hot sauce is no longer as Heated as before, too sweet nowadays. But the popcorn shrimp is the bomb! Such a huge portion for a fair price! Love this place!

The menu features a variety of delicious options such as salmon belly chirashi with miso sauce and ikura, pork dumplings with black garlic oil, soft serve with matcha syrup, and marinated wagyu for self-cooking on a hot rock. It's known for its high-energy atmosphere, making it a great spot for both fantastic Japanese food and lively gatherings.
Lives up to the hype - every dish was top notch & crave-able. Super flavorful curry & sauces - each bite well balanced AND packing a punch. We had 7 items on the Happy Hour menu - our top 3: 206 Curry, Nanban Popcorn Chicken, Bao (pork belly & soft-shell crab). Fair prices & excellent service - observant, efficient, and kind. Highly recommend.

After reading this menu, and seeing all of the unique items, we were very excited to try it out. The crispy Chinese doughnuts with the curry sauce really caught my eye, and it didn't turn out how I expected - but that could be what I had in mind. I wasn't expecting them to be overly sweet, but any means, but these really didn't have that element at all. Essentially it was like a fried bread for your curry, which was absolutely delicious. So I'm glad the waitress suggested we get the side order since we were getting that fantastic curry anyway. We also really enjoyed the NORI-SHIO FRITZ with the sriracha and honey mustard aioli 😋. The restaurant has a great vibe and cool esthetic with friendly staff. Be different and try someplace new.

Came here for late night happy hour. It was a really good experience. We had several bites and drinks. Karage was done very well. The different types of popcorn chicken were enjoyable. The chirashi bowl was quite good but the cuts of sashimi were smaller than what I've typically seen at other places. The sushi roll wasn't bad at all. Overall, it was a fun a good experience.

Wow this place is definately worth a try! I stopped in with a group of friends and ordered a sampler from their appetizers (mix of sashimi, crab cakes, and veg options) their spicy ramen and two sushi rolls and they were all excellent. I’d highlight recommend sharing a few dishes family style to try their various menu items - they even brought out multiple bowls for us to share the ramen. Great service and experience overall!

Food is varied and delicious. I loved everything we got. The menu is not extensive but it has a lot of different stuff and I felt like we had a broad variety of types of food which I loved—sushi, fried chicken, steak bites, noodles, and veggies. Preparations were interesting and high quality, but not fancy just really tasty. Definitely a fun and relaxed dining experience. The chair was not very comfortable. Upgrading the furniture just a bit seems like an easy opportunity to improve the experience.

Nice izakaya vibes modern Japanese restaurant. This is a nice place to come with friends, order a bunch of different things, and enjoy it all family-style. The karaage is super nice, and so were all of the fish dishes 😋 They also offer some nice nihonshu (Japanese sake) 🍶

We picked here for our last dinner in Seattle (vacation was soon over). What a fun place with lots of good food. I strongly recommend making reservations, otherwise you wait for outdoor seating. It is not protected from the elements (and yes it started raining later in the evening). The space is very metal and cement. It's a bit noisy. But, even with the place being packed, we could hear each other when talking and did not have to raise our voices. The seats are metal and the do NOT encourage you to linger. They pinch in at the sides (the seat backs) which is not ideal. But it is an Izakaya place after all, you are not meant to linger there for hours. Wy wife had some kind of sake slushy which she loved. I had a modified gin & tonic before switching to a pint of beer. The beer worked better with the food. The food: 1) Fried chicken skins with yuzu - great! 2) Fried horse mackerel (I love all mackerel!) with katsu sauce - a bigger portion than I expected, and so good! 3) Pork belly bao - very good! 4) softshell crab bao ( really very good (better than the pork bao)) 5) Okonomiyaki topped with gochuchang chili and mozarella (crazy good!) and also a larger portion than expected 6) Vanilla soft serve ice cream with a toki whisky caramel - fills in all the cracks. Fun night, great food. Good pacing on the dishes. Very good service. Recommended. Try it!

Went here on a Friday night, wasn't busy at all we were sat right away. Menu is super simple which I love... sometimes ramen menus are over whelming. The ramen was very good... didn't take long at all. I really loved the consistency of the noodles..more on the firm side. Broth was very good and not too salty. The karage chicken 😍 very very good and crispy ! It did take quite some time for our cocktails but there weren't a lot of people working. They turned out good tho. Will be back to try other things on the menu.

The food quality has gone down compared to that before the pandemics. The portion is smaller now. I ordered a bowl of ramen with extra spinach and pork belly (with extra charge). When it was brought out, none of the extra was in the bowl. I had to remind the server of my extra orders. Now she brought out two tiny piece of plate of what was supposed to be included in the original bowl. The vibe you used to see from staff before the pandemic is no longer there. We wonder if constant staff change is the reason.

Kiki Ramen is a modern spot on Seventh Avenue that attracts a diverse crowd, from tech employees to construction workers. The restaurant offers six types of ramen, including shoyu, shio (sea salt) miso, brothless mazemen, and tonkotsu with straight noodles in dense pork-bone broth. The menu also features Japanese small plates and a large selection of whiskey. Visitors can enjoy happy hour deals and a variety of drinks.
This location is great. The happy hour exists and you get a buck off but they have $3 rainer cans. The food is solid, if you are coming here for specifically ramen then your making a mistake this is a total experience cafe. Its a perfect blend of post work casual dining, I ate good food, watched a sweet kung fu movie, discussed the finer points of IPAs with an amazon exec AND split 3 bowls of ramen with my Lady Wife. 5 stars will eat again

Ramen by white dudes. Despite the health rating and lack of serving size, they threw enough together and made it good enough to want to come back at least once. The spices were possibly a tad on the heavy side, but better than the opposite. I would more accurately give it a 3.25 stars. I'm sure they'll get plenty of biz from amazonians desperate for a little so called Japanese cuisine.

This place is cute and I like the thickness of the noodles. The TKO broth tastes like meat broth and the service was pretty fast. It's in a convenient location, near downtown and just off the bus. My one complaint is with some of the toppings: the chili threads were dry and flavorless and didn't add much to the ramen and the shiitake were the rehydrated kind, which gives them a tougher texture. Some people were complaining about the rawness of the egg but I actually liked how I could coat the noodles with the yolk. Overall, a pretty quick, convenient place to grab lunch.

Slurp Station Aburasoba - UW is a vibrant, family-run eatery that specializes in the delightful dish of aburasoba, a popular quick meal often found at street vendors. This spot offers classic variations of dry noodles served with vinegar and chili sauce for an extra kick. One of the standout features is their seamless ordering process; patrons can simply scan a QR code to place their orders without needing to interact with staff, allowing for a relaxed dining experience.
Worth the hype!! We got the Tokyo Ganzo Aburasoda and it was absolutely amazing. The texture and flavor was phenomenal. We only ordered one to share and they brought a second bowl for us which was so kind. If you are feeling pretty hungry you probably want your own. Highly recommend!
Elita T — Google review
For the price I wish the portion was bigger, but overall it tasted good. The noodles were fresh and flavorful. The food also came out quickly and you ordered through a QR code on the table.

Aburasoba is a quick and convenient meal often found at street stalls and small, privately owned shops. This place offers simple yet classic aburasoba options, served with vinegar and chili sauce. What I love about it is the seamless ordering process—there’s no need to interact with a waiter or waitress. Instead, you simply scan a QR code to order and pay. Water is self-serve, and you can enjoy your meal without any unnecessary conversation. It’s a blend between a restaurant and a fast-food spot, making it an ideal choice for a quick lunch.

Simple menu and delicious food with reasonable price! Definitely a good place for quick meal yet still with prompt service. Especially love the shoyu based aburasoba and chilled tofu!
Becky Z — Google review
I didn't know what aburasoba was, but it's basically a ramen without the broth. It was delicious. Because it doesn't have the broth, it is less salty so this is a good compromise for ramen. They don't have a mild spicy option, it's either 0 spice or 2/3 peppers. I got the 2 pepper and that was spicy (I think I handle spice pretty well). So fyi on the spice.

My recent fav soba noodle place near UW, love the squid salad during hot summer days! Simple but tasty. 🤩🤩☺️☺️

- delicious and flavorful noodles - We decided to try this place as it has stores in Japan. There were 3 groups of people dining when we entered around 11:20 am. We grabbed a seat and ordered through the QR code. They have a guide to teach you how to eat their noodles: basically add the vinegar and chili oil on the table, mix it well, then enjoy. The noodles came quickly, and the portions were just right for the two of us. I actually couldn't finish my regular sized one, but decided not to carry the leftover around so I ate it all. My husband ordered shoyu with chili oil added in already, and I got the shio. I tasted the noodles before adding the vinegar and chili oil, and it was already good. The noodles tasted more complex after adding the two condiments, but the difference is small and you can't really taste the vinegar. I also tried my husband's noodles and it was way too spicy for my liking, but I think whoever has a stronger palate will enjoy it very much. Another thing I like about this place is that they welcome you to take your chopsticks home after you use them. I tend to like this kind of chopsticks as it's more sturdy than most wooden ones. There is also a baby diaper changing station in one of the bathrooms, so that was quite nice as well if you want to visit with an infant.

I’ve made three visits in quick succession. This is now one of my favorite places to eat in Seattle. The salt based aburasoba is legit amazing. Pretty much every component is delicious and seems carefully considered. The only thing I can imagine being better is the egg, which is a little bland in comparison. The menu is very focused and the everything I’ve tried has been fantastic - the chilled tofu dish in particular. The vibe is low-key, I’ve never had trouble getting in, the service is friendly, the food comes out fast, the prices are reasonable. A gem!!

Ramen restaurant
Kayava is a Japanese shop where the staff warmly greets visitors with "irasshaimase," creating an immediate longing to return to Japan. Despite ordering through QR codes, the service remains friendly and helpful, providing recommendations when necessary. The menu includes gluten-free ramen along with chicken or pork options. Each table features a small canister of S&B kosho ramen pepper for an added flavor kick.
Authentic, comforting, umami, light, decadent, perfect. Of all the ramen joints in the Seattle area, this spot delivered down to the last drop of broth. We thought about getting seconds. The appetizers were just delectable too! The truffle ramen was soooo good we failed to snag a photo.
Jessica C — Google review
Spent roughly $70 for two people and got: Spicy chicken paitan with egg and extra chashu, regular chicken paitan with egg and side salad, and the spicy negi chashu. We really liked the side salad and negi chashu. The spicy ramen broth is not that spicy. The broth was suuuuper thick and rich (almost a bit too thick for me), the ramen noodles were cooked to a really good doneness where there was a good chewiness to it. The egg was also cooked perfectly. Only complaint I have - but this applies to most ramen places - is that the food was kind of expensive for the macros and it cost money to add more protein. Each ramen dish only came with three very thin slices of pork and we paid for extra protein ($2 for egg, $5 for 5 pieces of chashu). This is kind of standard for ramen I guess but I personally would prefer a better protein to carb ratio. Also, the service was not super welcoming (not mean but not friendly, kinda there to do their job).
Vivian N — Google review
Got there around 6 pm, it wasn’t too busy at first, but about half an hour later there was already a line forming! The food was pretty good. I ordered the Pork Shoyu ramen, and we shared the garlic karaage, which we all loved. Definitely worth a visit!
Grace — Google review
Servers were really nice! Spicy fries were tasty but they were not even remotely spicy. I ordered the spicy pork ramen, and it lacked flavor, heat, and depth. Chashu was different, but I enjoyed how tender and thinly sliced it was. I really wanted to like this spot given all of the positive reviews but alas, it did not hit the spot.
Charlye T — Google review
Love this ramen place. The noodles are made in house and the chicken broth is wonderful. The staff is friendly and makes eating here fun.
Adam B — Google review
This is my favorite ramen I’ve had in Seattle. The broth is clearly made with care. I ordered the truffle ramen with chicken chashu, and you can really taste the depth of flavor. It’s rich but not overwhelming, with a beautiful balance. I highly recommend this spot to any ramen lover. It’s definitely worth supporting. One small suggestion for the restaurant: I truly appreciate the passion you put into making ramen. In a city like Seattle where many people are mindful of fitness and nutrition, it might be helpful to offer a few lighter or high-protein options, such as salads or a chicken chashu rice bowl. This could make it easier for people to bring friends with different dietary preferences.
Ming L — Google review
No wait at 6pm on a Friday, convenient table QR ordering. Got their signature ramen and thought it tasted great. Broth was a definitely on the heavier side, but the noodles were chewy and springy to perfection. Slightly annoyed that eggs were add-ons. Price felt a bit expensive for what we got (even by Seattle standards, which is why I gave 4/5), but would go back!
Monica C — Google review
We’re vegan and saw they offered a vegan option on their sign outside so we tried the spicy vegan miso and it was delicious! Broth was amazing and noodles were a great texture. Very friendly staff and the music was good the entire time as well!

Ramen restaurant
Ooink Fremont is a ramen restaurant with a unique twist on traditional Japanese cuisine. The menu features dishes like the mala ramen with a pork shoyu broth, offering spice levels from one to four. The restaurant provides various seating options suitable for solo diners, couples, and groups. Customers appreciate the quick service and easy-to-navigate tablets for ordering food. One standout dish is the Spicy Fried Chicken, which offers a flavorful kick that leaves taste buds dancing.
This is how you fuse culinary influences together! The spices, the broth, the made-from-scratch approach! The broths have so much depth, the noodles bouncy and firm, the pork was melt in your mouth good with a deep complex flavored. The fried chicken was very, very balanced with a crunchy and delicate balance. Self-seat and self-service, but the owner really checks in throughout the meal. Well worth the price, which is not cheap.
Pasado C — Google review
A rather unique and charmingly themed restaurant. Unfortunately, for me, their flavors were too heavy and greasy. The fried chicken also seemed a bit overcooked. I would rate them 3.5 if Google allowed us to give half-star ratings.
Paul C — Google review
What a cool spot with amazing food offerings. We had Raman, cucumber salad, fried chicken and beers. Everything was delicious. Service style is hands off and no nonsense but super efficient, and everything was staged perfectly. Spicy options were just that, but didn't make anyone uncomfortable, we ordered 3/4 and 4/4 respectively and were very pleased. Gotta' wonder if there's a 5/4 option for the true masochists out there.
Eamonn M — Google review
You know I actually wasn't a fan of the Ooink when I visited their Capital Hill location but perhaps they were having an off day because a second visit to this Fremont location has me changing my time. The ramen was really good this time! The noodles were an ideal texture and the broth was the perfect temperature and consistency.
Herakles L — Google review
Had the Shoyu Ramen, fried chicken and kotteri ramen. Since leaving California in 2016, we have not found a better ramen place than the one in Fullerton. This one by far has surpassed all the ramen I've had in the past. Their broth is so silky and flavorful. The bamboo shoots in it I even liked (I usually hate bamboo shoots). The pork also melts in your mouth. Then our Malaysian style fried chicken came. I got so excited that I burnt my tongue a little. Even with a minor burn, I powered through the hot chicken and it was delicious. So crispy, so juicy. And ugh I can't even with the flavors. It is a little spicy, but just the right amount that you could appreciate all the flavors. I could not stop eating it. I was supposed to share it with my partner but I just couldn't. I want to come back again and try their other stuff.
Louise ( — Google review
Not impressed (did I come on a bad day?) The ramen was greasy and the noodles were too chewy. The fried chicken was dry and not much flavor. The cucumber salad was ok. You order by scanning the QR code on the table, and pay while ordering. So how much should you tip? Turns out that there’s not much service - no one asked if the food was ok. And the waitress was so busy that we had to fetch the to-go box ourselves.
Connie C — Google review
Nut allergy friendly: Ramen I had was fine. Order-to-Ramen: 6 Minutes For some reason, this location wasn't as good as the one in Capitol Hill despite my friend's insistence. He said we went on an off-day. The shio Ramen tasted simultaneously too oily and watery. Portions were still great and service was fast. Maybe it's just because we went on a holiday. It's still overall pretty good.
David P — Google review
This is now one of my favorite ramen places in Seattle. What I liked a lot is how the broth isn’t so heavy while all the flavor is there. Perhaps it’s less rich in terms of thickness than other ramen places in the area, but I enjoyed this balance very much.
