Ezell's Famous Chicken is a local fast-food chain that has been serving housemade fried chicken, along with classic sides and desserts since 1984. Founded by Ezell Stephens and Lewis Rudd, the restaurant has expanded to 17 locations, including Spokane and Tigard, OR. Known for its quick service, it offers an 8-piece combo with chicken, rolls, and two jumbo sides.
Those Buffalo tenders absolutely hit the spot - incredibly juicy. The secret breading blend creates a texture that’s crunchy on the outside, but still tender and juicy on the inside. The service was quick despite the busy atmosphere, and you can tell this place has that authentic Southern comfort food quality that keeps people coming back.

Ordered through 3rd Party Service. Chicken was okay. Good portion size. Reminded me of going to Deli section at a grocery store. Fries were okay. Macaroni and cheese was bland, needed more seasoning, and burned in some spots. Please add more cheese to the Macaroni and cheese. The Peach Cobbler had under-done dough and was very bland. I did enjoy the rolls. The rolls had a slight sweetness to them.
A.D. B — Google review
Ezell's was a tasty fried chicken option. We ordered via Door Dash and had 0 issues. I'd argue that the food across the board could use more spice, but everything was solid with a dipping sauce.
Jeremy Y — Google review
The food is alright very standard fried chicken. The order system isn’t smart. Because of it, I paid $20 more.

Ordered a family meal to go. I've been all over the South and eaten fried chicken from Texas to Tennessee and this was some of the BEST fried chicken I've had in my life! It was moist and flavorful. And the sides were delicious too! Can't wait to go back and get more on my next trip to Seattle!
Nic — Google review
Go to Popeye’s instead - you’ll wait longer but the taste is much better. There’s certainly nothing famous about the chicken here… spicy was bland, mashed potatoes were bland and there was hardly any gravy. Chicken was dry. Very much not a fan.
Chris R — Google review
I don’t know man. I really like Ezell’s. Moving here from the Baltimore region and having spent a lot of time in the southeast I originally hated on this place and called the chicken bland, but having lived in Seattle for 5 years, I’ve really grown to enjoy it. The chicken isn’t always seasoned as well as other times, but even when it’s not heavily seasoned it hits. The spicy chicken tenders are great and the rolls are fantastic. Lived close to this place for the majority of my residency in this city and when I no longer live in Seattle, I feel I’ll really miss this place. Right across from an iconic high school, when I eat this chicken it makes me wish I grew up here, went to that high school, and got to chill with my friends eating it after school.

Amazing food! Very fast even though there was a line. Really nice people. My friend said this is their favorite spot for fried chicken and I’m inclined to agree. 😊

Sisters and Brothers is a popular spot known for its Nashville hot chicken and other Southern-inspired dishes. The restaurant offers a range of heat levels for their hot chicken, from mild to extremely spicy. On weekends, customers can enjoy the famous hot chicken and waffles while playing vintage video games at the tables. The place is also praised for its fried chicken sandwiches. Sisters and Brothers is described as a family affair where love is cooked into each piece of chicken.
Delightfully bizarre. I appreciated the excellent Southern food (being from Nashville, myself). The atmosphere was ... well, 80s state fair/basement den kitsch? Like if Pee-Wee and Macho Man Randy Savage opened a restaurant. It must be seen to be believed. The locals at the bar were chatty and welcoming. They raved about the catfish! The bartender was running the whole joint and doing it well. Drinks were great, and the music was perfect. I'm definitely adding it to my permanent must-do for whenever I visit Seattle. My only wish is that they were open later!
Sarah W — Google review
Located near the scenic Elliott Bay in Seattle, I decided to check out this spot after hearing it’s one of the best places in the city for hot chicken. The restaurant has a cool retro vibe, and I appreciated the thoughtful touches like board games for groups. There’s also a bar area with a projector set up for game screenings, which added to the laid-back atmosphere. For my meal, I ordered the regular 3-piece tenders with hand-cut fries. Right off the bat, the chicken coating was flavorful and incredibly crunchy. Despite the heat level, the spices didn’t overpower the taste, the flavors still came through nicely. The chicken was cooked perfectly: tender and moist on the inside. The only downside was the service, which felt sluggish, especially considering there was only one other customer in the restaurant at the time.
Anil K — Google review
The texture and flavors were overwhelming. Just a tip the greens were a tad too salty for me, but some rice and lemon juice or vinegar could cure that. portions enormous and heavy on richness. same owner for over 30 years. staff was friendly and accommodating.

Probably the best chicken I’ve ever had. Stopped to write this review after 3 bites. The atmosphere is very chill, feels like you’re at your auntie’s, especially with all the Knick-knacks lol. Glen was very courteous and took the time to explain the menu to me. A+ for Glen and A+ for the cooks who made the food.

Easily the best fried chicken I’ve ever eaten! Amazing portion sizes! The flavours will blow your mind. Super crisp and very spicy! Must visit spot
Gazal C — Google review
Omg so goood! Loved everything we tried: mac&cheese w/bacon (it’s pork belly!) dark meat plate with Seattle Hot spice, dank fried pickles, delicious fried green tomatoes, got the the tenders with Nashville hot and oooooh boy so good flavor wise, definitely not for the faint of spicy heart! But the flavors were not overshadowed by the spice somehow! And all the sauces are amazing too, that malt aioli! YUM! Very cool atmosphere, excellent staff (Glenn crushed it) we will definitely be back!! Lots of food so beware you will need a good nap afterwards 😍🔥

Soooo beyond disappointed. I can only assume their average review is from the past, but as it presently stands avoid this place. We initially wanted to go because they had hush puppies! One of my favorite foods and can’t find it out here. Anyways… Only one server. He can’t be blamed, did his absolute best to keep everything moving in there. Props to him for being honest and trying his best. The food was… so disappointing. First of all, no hush puppies, the entire reason we chose to go here. No Mac and cheese. Fries came out cold and weren’t good even when hot. The catfish was okay (not super fresh tasting), but the batter was so thick and overcooked and greasy. Just crumbled right off first bite. Was true of the chicken as well. Okra was fine. Green tomatoes were fine. Nothing worth any amount of praise and extremely overpriced. Maybe it was just an off night, but seeing so many other reviews with similar experiences makes me think this place has some deeper problems. If the food had been good the decor would have been quirky and charming, but now it just feels creepy and gross. Currently sitting on the toilet and not feeling great. Would not recommend and would actively discourage.
Daniel S — Google review
got the Nashville Hot Chicken & Waffles this was pretty interesting because it consisted of two completely separate foods with complete opposite flavor profiles starting with the chicken - I ordered the Nashville Hot spice level, which was the second highest spice level you can get. The first and most obvious thing about the chicken was that it was spicy. Like really spicy. That has to be the spiciest chicken I've ever had and it's not close. I was still able to finish both tenders without adding any extra sauce (the waffles helped) but my mouth was on fire at the end - I had to get in some ice cream While normally I like spicy food - I can't say I liked this spice as much because it seemed more like spice caked on to the breading as the seasoning itself - kind of like the only point of the breading was to be spicy. I didn't taste many other flavors in there. This made the eating experience of the chicken not super enjoyable as I didn't really enjoy each bite as much as I was just getting through it To add to this, the breading was nice and crispy, but it didn't attach to the chicken as well as I would like. It frequently peeled off the meat itself. It also didn't quite have the oily texture of good fried chicken - was a bit dry As far as the meat itself - I thought it was fine - nothing special but also nothing too bad. The thing that I really liked was the portion sizes of the chicken. While it wasn't super easy to get through, I did like the fact that the chicken filled me up I really appreciated the spice level in the chicken - but wish the breading was better and had more different flavors Get this if you're really craving spicy food The second part of this meal were the waffles - which were astoundingly good The waffle was soft but had real weight to it - each bite had a depth of dough that was fantastic In addition, the whiskey butter and maple syrup made the entire thing a truly amazing sweet experience It complimented the chicken so well - adding an excellent side flavor to each bite The way I would eat this is by cutting a piece of the waffle off, and either putting it in my mouth and taking a bite of the chicken or combining pieces of both onto a fork and eating it that way. The waffle's sweetness made the chicken tenders tolerable and significantly improved the overall experience The fried egg was fine Overall: Chicken was a 6.5/10, Waffles were a 9/10, so total 7.75/10

If you're on the hunt for a unique culinary experience, look no further than Ma’ono Fried Chicken. This delightful eatery offers a Hawaiian-Asian twist on classic fried chicken, featuring sandwiches that are bursting with flavor thanks to an array of seasonings like soy sauce powder and shiitake mushrooms. The juicy chicken is brined and soaked in buttermilk, ensuring each bite is tender and satisfying.
Delish! Definitely better than Dave's. One of the few places with vegan ranch that is actually good! I love how you don't need to interact with anyone either!
Kaiya T — Google review
I ordered the chicken sandwich and it came out without the chicken and cold buns. All good, I am sure it was a mistake. I go back to ask for the sandwich and then they took back my bun and after checking it out they put a chicken tender in there. A SINGLE chicken tender. This was a $15 sandwich. And then when I went BACK and asked for a refund they said it was not a chicken tender it was a chicken breast. Picture will show that was not true. The cook said he would remake the sandwich and it would take 10-15 minutes. After 45 minutes I get a notification that my order was refunded and I never received the sandwich. Will not be returning.
Peepee P — Google review
The chicken sandwich has decent flavor but I don't think it was fresh. If fresh and hot this would be a 4/5. I like the pickles and the Kewpie Mayo. There is no service so to speak, you just order at a kiosk and get a text when your order is ready. It's placed on a rack by the kiosk. Still prompts you for a tip though, wild stuff. The bar/restaurant that Ma'ona is in, is a nice place to be however.
Tim — Google review
Had to try the crispy chicken sandwich. I got the medium heat. Was crispy and delicious. Definitely worth it.
Chris B — Google review
One my continued hunt for the best chicken sammys, finally made it to Maono fried chicken. This place is inside the Rachel's ginger beer. Got the fried chicken sandwich ( Habanero heat level) and the chicken tenders. Unfortunately they were out of the drumsticks. The sandwich had the mist delicious buns and daikon pickles, right amount of spicy, and the juiciest and tender chicken in between. The chicken tenders were also worth it! I will be adding yours to my regular rotation and will back for more!
Vineeth H — Google review
They are located inside the Rachel's Ginger Beer. They offer a handful of menu, with fried chicken as their main. We ordered a side of French Fries with Hot Honey-Mustard and Ranch dipping sauces. The fries were really good on its own, didn’t really need any dipping sauce! Soooo addictive! We also got one Chicken Sandwich to share. You can choose the “heat level” of your chicken, we went with Mild. I didn’t feel much of any heat, but packed with flavor! The sandwich held a huge chicken piece, with crunchy exterior, and super juicy & moist inside. Buns were soft, like clouds holding onto precious jewels of fried chicken, accompanied by crispy lettuce. Whatever the sauce they used here was amazing too. Superb! The food really took the center stage here, as I was not a big fan of the drink I ordered from RGB. I am glad Ma’ono was there to save the day!
Foodlover G — Google review
I ordered medium-level chicken tenders and after one bite, my lips were on fire. When I asked to replace it with a mild version, the bartender at RGB refused to do anything about it.

Heaven Sent Fried Chicken, also known as The Original Ezells Fried Chicken, is a casual dining spot offering classic comfort food such as fried chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, and exceptional sweet rolls at an affordable price. Founded by local chicken legend Ezell Stephens, the restaurant has two locations in Lake City and Everett. The recipe for their juicy and slightly spicy fried chicken has evolved over the years.
If you want really good fried chicken, mashed, potatoes, and an exceptional sweet roll at a reasonable price, you can’t do any better than Haven Sent Fried Chicken (The Original Ezell’s Fried Chicken)….. I had the spicy crispy fried chicken and it was just the right amount of spicy tang. The restaurant was very clean and the customer service was excellent and very friendly. The bake beans and corn bread are excellent as well….. AND, if you dare, the chicken livers are outstanding!
Kevin C — Google review
I wanted to get some Spicy chicken strips. I love their fried chicken!! The spicy chicken strips are delicious! They are always crispy and cooked well! I got the fries as a side they serve crinkle cut fries. They were good. They have all kinds of sides and dipping sauces. The employees are always polite and professional! Love this place and I will return!
Ryan H — Google review
I can only speak to their fried chicken livers; well worth the wait, they take a little more time than most of their other items. I always eat them in the parking lot, rarely ever having anything left to take home. Since they fry the livers when ordered, they’re best eaten fresh and hot from the fryer. Sadly, the owner is closing his doors at the end of February and Seattle will lose its best fried chicken shop.
Alan T — Google review
Amazing food, terrible customer service. Like everyone else, when I heard Heaven Sent was closing I rushed to get food there yesterday. I didn't mind waiting a long time as I understood everyone was in the same boat. After getting home I realized I didn't receive one of the sides I was charged for and that the employee listed off before he handed me my bag of food. Well, since I had to wait about 45 minutes for food and then drive over half an hour home, I didn't have enough time to drive back to the store before they closed. I tried calling but no one answered and their voicemail was full. Today I called right when they opened, receipt in hand, and asked for a refund of the item I didn't get. The lady on the phone told me to come in when they open later in an hour. I said I liver over 30 minutes away can you please process the refund over the phone and she said "come in physically". So I now i either have to drive an hour round trip or make a donation for food I didn't receive. Very frustrating. Aside from that all around failing...this really is the best fried chicken. Great flavor and crunch but not oily. Truly Heaven Sent.
Maia A — Google review
Okay I had to come back to this one. I initially visited this place because of the whole Oprah flying it over deal. I was hyped, but also super full from our trip, and the whole thing felt way too greasy. I ate a piece, called it over hyped but decided to pack it up for later. Best decision I made that day. I got home, and about 24 hours later I gave it another go. It was the most fulfilling bite of fried chicken I had in years! I think either I was just too full the first time or maybe reheating it brought something out... But damn good chicken. Will definitely go back the next time I visit.
OC C — Google review
I really was hoping to like the food, but it's a no for me. I ordered with 2pc reg w/fries and a side of gravy. Despite the chicken being mad crispy, it didn't taste like anything. The chicken is lacking flavor, and 👎🏾 for them not cleaning the fat off the chicken thigh. On to the gravy🥴🥴....based on the look and consistency, I just knew it would be bomb! It tasted burnt, that's literally the only flavor that was present, was a burnt flavor. I wish the items I had tasted better because I strongly dislike having to rate establishments under 3, but I have to be honest of my experience and the taste of the food.

Friendly staff, delicious food and definitely more tasty than the various “Ezells” locations around WA. I came today right when they opened and was not disappointed with the service or food. My only issue is that there aren’t any locations closer to the south side of seattle but hope to see some in the future. 🙏🏽 the drive was worth it and I’ll be back. Thank you 😊

Restaurant
Bok a Bok Chicken - Capitol Hill is an Asian fast-food spot with a relaxed atmosphere. The owner, Brian O'Connor, has crafted a Korean fried-chicken-style sandwich with a unique audible crunch and a special six-flour blend for the batter. The menu offers various combos of sauces and seasonings, including a spicy sandwich with house-blend hot sauce, red chili aioli, pickled serrano chilies, and kimchi.
This place is amazing. The food is always phenomenal and the staff are nice. The other day I had an amazing experience with my food. I ordered a 6pc strip and before the store opened and requested that they give me as much Chile powder as they possibly could. The site said the order would be ready 15min after the restaurant opened but when I got there a bit earlier it was all ready. When I got home to eat and saw my food I was so incredibly ecstatic. Not only did they give me as much Chile powder as I desired, I got an extra, albeit smaller, strip.

Despite the horrors of Seattle, this chicken spot always hits different. Unfortunately, it looks like their interior has been closed down, but that has not stopped the flavor train. My chicken sandwich was shatteringly crisp and flavorful! I also had their fries and kimchi Mac and cheese. Both were on point! Well worth risking a trip to Seattle for this iconic spot!

Bok a Bok Chicken delivers some of the best Korean-inspired fried chicken in Seattle. The OG Chicken Wings are a must-try, boasting a perfectly crispy coating and just the right amount of spice. For a unique twist, the Fish Sauce Caramel Wings pack a sweet and savory punch that’s absolutely addictive. We ordered from The RunAway Bar, and the process was seamless, with everything arriving hot and fresh. Bok a Bok is a winner for chicken wings lover.

This place is AWESOME for a grab and go meal. This is my go to when I’m going out, hanging out with friends at Stoup (which will be delivered there for free), or needing a quick dinner fix after a long day. The staff is friendly, you can’t go wrong with what you order, it’s all amazing. I love the variety of sauces you can choose from, the prices are decent for Seattle, and I’m always satisfied with my meal. The location is a pick up window on a sidewalk, not ideal for an on location sit-down meal, but well worth trying.
Em — Google review
It's just a counter in a wall -- no seating or interior for guests. I stood there and totally missed it for a bit! The menu isn't too big so you don't get lost in choices. I appreciate this. They make a few items and make them well. I got fried chicken thighs and kimchi mac and cheese. Both were delicious! I chose two sauces and was impressed by both. The one with honey clearly tasted like honey so they weren't lying or cheaping out. Their OG double-dipped fried chicken is wonderful, especially as it's gluten free. It's such a rarity to find GF chicken and I'm glad I was able to check them out. Highly recommended.
Arian K — Google review
I got the chicken strips and dirty tots, the tots were amazing! The chicken was a little dry for my liking but maybe it would be better with the thighs. I am highly sensitive Celiac and had no reaction after eating! Excellent gluten free choice, wish they had seating though.
V V — Google review
I've been coming here for several years to get the fish sauce wings, but the quality has really went downhill within the last year or two. They used to be so good! The chicken is still good and the breading is super nice and crispy, but the fish sauce caramel sauce is so thin and bland now. It used to be much darker and thicker with more fish sauce tang, but now it just kind of tastes like honey water and the wings aren't coated in it like they used to be. They also really skimp on the herbs and chilies that they put on top now. I ordered take out and they gave me a plastic sauce container with 5 or 6 little flakes of herbs. I'm hoping they find a way to get back to the old quality because I really miss those wings.

The chicken is solid and it’s normally juicy and tastes good. I just really wished that the batter was a little bit less on the wings, they put more of the dry rub (sometimes it comes with barely any), and that they had some good blue cheese because whatever they sell you as blue cheese is closer to ranch.

Chicken restaurant
Cookie's Country Chicken has joined forces with other popular food concepts to create a unique dining experience at Quality Athletics restaurant. The pop-up location offers outdoor seating, making it perfect for summer dining. The menu features delectable items such as the Barn Burner, fries, and mac n cheese. Customers rave about the high-quality fried chicken sandwich and generous portions. The reasonably priced country fried chicken is well-seasoned and served with tasty sides like fries and slaw.
I was here for lunch - so I got their lunch special of two dark meat fried chicken pieces + a side, for which I picked creamy mac and cheese These fried chicken pieces were really good. I got them two-star on the spice scale, and this ended up being the perfect middle ground to where I could feel the spice but it was not overwhelming - more like a mild kick to every bite but nothing that would have you gasping for water. In fact, I thought the breading as a whole was quite good. It wasn’t overly thick neither overly oily - managing a good balance between those two to remain crunchy and flaky but without feeling like you’re eating only breading with each bite Impressively - the breading stuck to the meat the entire way through - which is something you don’t always see with fried chicken. Both thigh pieces were pretty large - and had a ton of dark meat each. This balance between breading & meat was really good. It also helps when the meat is as juicy as it was here - and it really was very juicy. The inside of the chicken was basically perfection. As far as the sauces, I got the hot honey & the smoky chipotle. I didn’t really like the first one - as it just tasted like honey - and that felt weird with the fried chicken. the second one was a lot better, though As I mentioned, this also came with a side of mac & cheese. I definitely liked this less than the chicken. The macaroni was cooked well, but there was just way too much creaminess/cheesiness in the sauce for me. What helped a little bit was taking some of the breading and adding it to the bowl, and also adding pepper, but it was still not my favorite For the price - this came out to around $15, which I think is a pretty good deal. The chicken is large & meaty, although I wouldn’t say the entire thing is really that filling, since it’s just two pieces Overall, this is some really good fried chicken with a ton of flavor, but the side was a slight letdown. 8.75/10

Good: The chicken was super juicy and delicious! I really liked the Cole slaw Not so good: They didn't have corn so several sides were not available :( Other notes: My personal preference is for crispier fried chicken/a thicker coating than what Cookie's does which is on the thinner/lighter side.
Herakles L — Google review
The chicken was good, but the fries stole the show. I can’t remember the last time I had French fries that were so perfect. Went for the chicken and now I literally can’t stop thinking about those fries…

Hands down our favorite place to grab fried chicken. Recommend any of their sandwiches or 2-3 pieces combo with coleslaw. Their staff are extremely friendly, however it’s best to order in advance so that you are not at the end of a very long line. Highly Recommend!

Really good chicken. I feel like Seattle is lacking in good chicken places and this was a satisfying place to go. Husband and I both got the Barn Burner (0 and 2 spice levels) and sides. Great place for lunch!

A literal hidden gem of seattle! Go there! Go now!!! The food flavor, quality, quantity, price, everything was CHEFS KISS! My new favorite spot and I will be frequenting!

Delicious fried chicken, flavorful and juicy! Generous portions, reasonable priced. The host is very nice and friendly. I really enjoyed the classic chicken sandwich and the mashed potato!
Meng G — Google review
Super nice kids working the floor, and the chicken is cooked perfectly. Needs tons more seasoning to keep up with other places in town, though. They DO offer a bunch of really spicy pepper levels, but without those, the batter just tastes like white flour. They clearly do most of the work if not all in-house. This is very close to scratch-made chicken, and for a good price. Comes out so hot you have to take the skin off and still wait 5 minutes before it's cool enough to eat. Fries were great. Decent selection of drinks. Carnival corn was okay, mac and cheese was mushy and under-seasoned. I might have gotten my expectations too high here, given the great word of mouth they have.

Taku is a restaurant located on Pike St. in Seattle, known for its fried chicken burgers, nuggets, and rice bowls. The establishment offers a summertime outdoor seating area and takeout options. Chef Shota Nakajima, who gained fame on Top Chef, opened Taku just before the pandemic hit. The restaurant features street-stand decor and plays Japanese hip-hop music while serving dishes like Key-lime-pie Jell-O shots.
Second time being here, and while I was hesitant to make the drive into Seattle and fight for parking, it was well worth it. The chicken is wonderful, the hi-ball I ordered (at the suggestion of my server, absolutely a good recommendation) was nicely balanced, and the fries are incredible. The selection of sauces is wonderful too, and the atmosphere is casual and fun! A restaurant that truly compliments Chef Shota’s impressive reputation.
James R — Google review
We got the bucket and a few sides, which was plenty for 4 people + leftovers. Great fries. Karaage pieces were too big and light in color. Smaller pieces and a crisper fry would have been fantastic. Good sauces. Great edamame (lots of garlic and sauce). Okay potato salad and fried rice. Had some trouble with the mobile POS system, but in the end my friend's card went through (third times a charm). Nice staff. Cool bathrooms. Those uncomfortable metal industrial bistro chairs are a major downside to this restaurant.
Alison C — Google review
Wonderful experience. This restaurant has great vibes and very friendly staff. You can order from the comfort of your table with a very simple system and different options to pay. Food and drinks came quickly and nicely presented. The Karage was delicious, great fried rice. Cold Sake was superb.
Daniela B — Google review
I originally ordered take out because I was sick. Oh my lord take out does not do this place justice. As a culinary fan of Shota, I wanted to go in person. Going in person the food is easily 10000 times better. Staff is friendly and helpful. I love the contactless styled payment option so you can leave when you're done or order more! Stickers are everywhere. Food was fresh and delightful. I will forever order the coleslaw. This place puts Dave's Hot Chicken to shame. And probably every other fried chicken place to shame. Also there's a fun vending machine in the building. That was a fun find the second time. You can always keep coming back and finding new stuff. It's amazing.
Kaiya T — Google review
Visited shortly after opening and had the luck to find sitting space at the bar. Here, you get to order and pay online, which makes the process seamless. On my second visit, it was even better. The staff was friendly and focus on their tasks. The food arrived fairly quick and if you seat at the bar, you get to see the whole process. The chicken was crunchy and moist, as all chicken should be. We had the spicy teriyaki and bonito/soy versions. The first was excellent but the latter was lite on the flavor. The fries were hot and crisp. Overall a great place to stop for a quick snack and drink.
Pablo Z — Google review
They check your ID before you get seated. I ordered highball and some chicken. The atmosphere was good and staff were nice, but not sure about food and drinks here. Chicken was crispy outside and tender inside but the seasoning didn't go well with fried chicken. Highball could be better, perhaps by adjusting the ratio.
Seon — Google review
The chicken and the fries are decent and they make good sauces, but the food was nothing to spectacular. Having watched Top Chef and really wanting to visit Shota’s restaurant, was a little disappointed to find some of the dishes like the cauliflower being too salty and that was really the main issue with a lot of the dishes. Glad I’ve tried it but probably won’t revisit again.
Teck B — Google review
The salt and pepper chicken was so good! Itself was cooked to perfection, with a crispy outer coating that was perfectly seasoned and a juicy, tender interior. Love the vibe of the place. FYI you have to be 21 and over to eat inside. Good service.

Restaurant
The Chicken Supply is a popular spot in Seattle known for its Filipino fried chicken, which is coated in a gluten-free breading made from tapioca starch, rice flour, and potato starch. The chicken is praised for its crispy skin and juicy meat, making it a standout dish in the city's fried chicken scene. It's recommended to pair the chicken with garlic rice and coconutty collards topped with shrimp oil and roasted peanuts for an exceptional dining experience.
This is easily the best fried chicken place in Seattle. Since the place sells out fast, it’s best to pre-order. When you reach let them know if you plan to dine in or take out. Nice thing is that they make your order fresh when you arrive so that it’s hot, crunchy, juicy and simply the best fried chicken. Recommend getting a mix of spicy and original. The staff is always friendly and thoughtful. Been here countless times and the food and service has always been consistent.
Dipin V — Google review
Awesome fried chicken but be ready for a thick, THICC coating. If you're afraid of cracking a tooth come for the sides. The rice, potatoes and sauces are on point. Zero complaints. Chicken is juicy and really spicy if you swing that way. Overall a Heavy Highly Recommended from me.
Richard F — Google review
I came here because The Chicken Supply has great reviews, so I wanted to give it a try. The crispy coating was actually really good. It has a unique texture that tastes like there’s some rice or sticky rice in it, giving it a light sweetness and chew. If you like slightly sweet batter, you’ll love that part. The chicken was well-marinated. The sad part was that when I bit in, I could see there was a solid yellow chunk of chicken fat between the crust and the meat. I had to separate the chuck of chicken fat that I seldom do in a fried chicken restaurant. Imo in good fried chicken, the fat should melt into the meat, but this hadn’t. More concerning, I felt stomach discomfort later in the evening.☹️ The floor in the restaurant was greasy, which didn’t leave a good impression. Overall, the fried chicken has a distinctive style and it’s worth trying. But my physical discomfort makes me hard to rate more than 2/5. Definitely overhyped for me.

I was craving Chicken and something sweet after that. They had both the options with drinks .We had Parts (drum, wings, thigh, all chicken mixed) and butter mochi. Such huge chicken portions, It was a lot for two of us. They adjust the spice level as per liking. Not a lot of space indoors .They have in-house 17% tip automatically added to the bill.

You can eat in the restaurant! I thought it was takeout only but they offered for us to eat in house when we were picking up our to go order. It's a small shop but good vibes and lots of fun watching the cooks hustle. Wow the chicken is phenomenal!! I love the stuff here. The chicken was juicy and the batter was perfectly crispy. It's an in between of American fried chicken and Korean fried chicken plus more seasoning. Some pieces had a sweeter taste than others because the seasoning is sprinkled on top after the chicken is fried. My favorite was definitely the wings. Most juicy cut and lots of crispy skin. My partner prefers chicken tenders so he loved the chicken stick, which was super juicy and not at all how I imagined it would be. Some sides are a bit disappointing, but the garlic rice was definitely the best one. I'd get that one again!
Jane L — Google review
More like not enough supply! Get here early if you want a chicken thigh. I was 1st in line and they ran out of thighs 10 minutes after they opened. I got the spicy thigh and a leg and it was the biggest chicken thigh I think I’ve ever eaten. Extremely crunchy chicken and great flavor. Monggo Beans and rice were awesome. The Sweet Onion Hot Sauce is a MUST TRY. Not hot really but an awesome flavor and sauce for the chicken. Total seen here with drink came out to about $29 I think, and definitely had leftovers.
Daniel E — Google review
I ordered takeout ahead of time for our at home date night. We are new parents! Everything we ordered really hit the spot. The crust stayed crunchy and crispy and the spice mix was the bomb. All the chicken pieces were huge. So ended up with leftovers. I preferred the wings over the things. Garlic rice didn’t live up to the expectations. Marinated vegetables were very flavorful. I will definitely order them next time. The dessert butter mochi was the best part of the meal. Hubby and I were fighting over the last bite. Definitely order ahead!

Quick Pack Food Mart is a small mom and pop operation that offers a basic assortment of products typically found in convenience stores. Despite its unassuming appearance, it's known for serving up delicious fried chicken that has garnered quite a bit of hype. The fried chicken is beautifully cooked to a dark golden brown with a satisfying crunch while retaining its moisture. Customers also praise the flavorful sambusas and potato fries available at the mart.
I am from Georgia, and can cook some fried chicken! However, when I don’t feel like cooking it, this is my place to go. Yes! They can brag about having the best chicken in town, because it’s true!
Eugenia W — Google review
You hear "the best _______ in town" all the time and it's almost always a bold faced lie forged in the bowels of The Pit Of Lies underneath the Lying Mountains in the far realms of Liars Reach, but when I decided to test the statement I heard that this place is the best friend chicken in Seattle I was pleasantly surprised to discover that this is, indeed, the best fried chicken in Seattle. Ezells? Pfft. That place is spotty and usually dry. Quick Pack, however.... This is the stuff. Juicy, seasoned, big pieces and it's super affordable. You get 2-4x as much for your money than other places and it's better than any other place. The exterior looks like an abandoned building and the inside looks like The Walking Dead and Mad Max had a baby, but the chicken is the only thing you need to care about, which is good because that's pretty much all they have. There's a cooler case with some sodas and a small shelf with a couple snack items on it but who cares because you're here for the chicken. And the jo jos. Trust me.

Got the 2 breast and 3 leg meal for about $18 after tax Tastes delicious and as you can tell from the picture they give you A LOT of food for the money spent. I've heard from a few that this is the best fried chicken in Seattle and after trying it I believe it Parking is very dicey here when it gets busy. I'd park on the street nearby next time Also, if you want chicken breasts it's best to call ahead as they sell out quick! Only had to wait 10 minutes for them to fry up a fresh batch though

This place needs to be renames “Quick Pack Fried Chicken.” Not sure how much it’s used for a food mart. The fried chicken is beautifully fried to a dark golden brown with a crunch that will knock your socks off. The chicken retains its moisture despite the dark crispy dry and the seasoning is spot on. The jojos I got were cold and soggy, but I bet they are bomb as well when fresh. Would 100% return for a quick chicken pick up!

Don’t judge a book by it’s cover. I did. For over a year, I drove by this place on my way home from work and never took it seriously. I just tried this spot and am about to move into a new neighborhood. Learn from my lessons - visit sooner than I did! FYI a chicken wing is the entire wing, not just a portion of one, so 7 Ethiopian fried wings is more like 21 US fried wings. Meaty with the most delicious crust - add your own hot sauce or ask for some at the counter! I’m a wing connoisseur- I taste them sea to shining sea - this is the best fried wing cook 😋

I love this food mart! Its a staple of the community. I get fried chicken and jojos and a coke for lunch. I honestly believe that they really do make the best fried chicken that I've tried. Restaurant
Fat's Chicken and Waffles is a small, stylish cafe that has been serving up Southern favorites such as chicken & waffles and catfish & greens for a few years. The restaurant was opened by the same person behind Lil Woody's, one of Seattle's best burger spots. They offer a variety of delicious brunch options including biscuit sandwiches, egg Benedict with fried green tomato, pimento cheese BLT, shrimp and grits, and beignets.
Finally got out to try brunch. Loved everything! Honey Biscuit & Chicken Sandwich, Bloody Mary, Fried Chicken Bowl, Catfish, Beignets. So delish. Great music, atmosphere. Service was amazing. Definitely coming back.
Julie P — Google review
We went for a late lunch on Sat. The restaurant was full but the wait was minimal. I had the shrimp and grits plus a side of catfish. The catfish was really good, crispy and light. I found the shrimp and grits a bit heavy and the gravy monotonous but hubby really liked it. He had the benedict (so so) with biscuit (nice and crunchy on the outside and pillowy buttery soft on the side). My sweet tea was really light and smooth. I would definitely go back for the catfish and biscuits and try more stuff on the menu. Great southern diner ambience. The service was a bit spotty because only one guy was really hustling. The ladies were chatting VERY loudly to each other most of the time so we had to flag them down to order and get served. They were a bit hot and cold.
Janet T — Google review
I had this place on my list for over a month before visiting Seattle. Did NOT disappoint!! The owner and staff are absolutely incredible. The food…. My goodness, truly something special going on in that kitchen!! The breakfast sandwich was absolutely mouth watering. Wife and I would have to say the honey butter smothered brisket with the crispy chicken was the best we’ve ever had! The drinks bloody mary and mimosas definitely hit the spot. And when the first thing to hit the table was these beignets, you know it’s about to be an experience!

Congratulations on their 10 year anniversary! We were recommended this local Black owned restaurant and they did not disappoint. It was my partners first time trying chicken and waffles and the flavours were so good we’re still thinking about it. Take advantage of their happy hour deals on the food and 2 for $5 beers! The staff were so friendly, we would come back just to talk to them. Hopefully we’re back soon :)

Some of the best brunch I’ve ever had. Everything was amazing in a casual setting. Tasted fresh and authentic, cool place with great costumer service. Make sure you try one of their cocktails too, they’re definitely not shy with the liquor. Next time I’m in Seattle, definitely will be my first stop. Highly recommend, but come with a big appetite.
Luna — Google review
This place should be on everyone’s food map in Seattle (if you have one)! We came in around 5:20 pm, so we were able to be seated pretty quickly (group of 4), which was a relief considering we expected to wait a while to get a table. While we waited for our food, we saw the place fill up pretty quickly, so we were excited about the stuff we ordered. As the people who came before us started getting served and we could see the portions and looks of the items, our excitement was through the roof. We ended up ordering the Fat’s Sampler, Seafood Sampler, and Chicken and Waffles. This has to be some of the best fried chicken I’ve ever had! Perfectly crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside. Their Honey Buttered Biscuit is totally worth the hype too, has to be one of the best Biscuits I’ve ever had. Overall, the food experience lived up to our expectations and we will definitely be back for some more! Service can get slow when the place gets super busy, but that’s okay because we found the wait to be totally worth it. The staff here tries to create a homely, welcoming, and warm atmosphere, which is something that missing in many other “popular” food places around the city. Seeing the staff interact with our tables and others definitely brought smiles to our faces :) Overall, I’d give this place an 11/10 and highly recommend it, even if there’s a bit of a wait involved!
Siddhanth P — Google review
We went here with friends, not expecting they would have much for us as vegetarians, but they were super amenable. Not only did they have good options on the normal menu, but our friend recommended the BLT so we got that and they substituted the bacon with fried green tomato. The sandwich felt fresh and flavorful and worked well with the hot suaces they had. It took a bit to come out but that is because they make everything there so it takes time. Worth the wait. They are also super friendly as well. I think they could single handedly break the seattle freeze if given the chance. Overall a great spot for a southern bite which is not something you would find in seattle elsewhere
Conner J — Google review
I had a very pleasant experience. The food was AMAZING!! Cooked to order - hot and fresh - full of flavor and nice portions. The place was very welcoming with nice Afrobeats, Amapiano, and R&B style music playing. It was very clean and smelled nice. The owners, Erika and Erika were incredible. The two joked with me about how I was in my own world just eating & dancing while awaiting my food, I told them how I just moved to the area from California and Erika told me about some great events to meet new people and have fun. She even went as far as sharing Instagram pages for local DJs and event promoters so I’d know good spots to hand out. Overall I had a 10/10 experience, I’ll definitely be back!

We were seated in the small side room to the right of the entrance. Worked for us! Great lighting and not loud. Our party started with an order of the French donuts (beignets). Considered putting in a second order as it was so yummy but we decided to leave room for our entree. I don't remember what anyone else ordered. Good brunch spot on capital hill, got my family of 4 in on Mother’s Day rather quickly. Good service, decent coffee. Parking is a bit difficult and the sandwiches a bit messy but overall I’d go again!

Was excited to try this place for Saturday brunch…. it was ALMOST good. Maybe it was an off day. I asked our waitress if the gravy that comes with the breakfast skillet would be provided on the side, and she confirmed that yes, it was. When I received it, portions of the skillet were drenched in gravy… it was wayyy too salty to the point that whatever I ate under the gravy was unpalatable. Was not happy with this, especially after I had specifically asked. :( The stack of pancakes were nice and fluffy though!! So this was a sliver of redemption. The bacon for Your Way was several touches too crisp, it was like eating chips. The chicken for the chicken and waffles was well-seasoned but under fried with a soggy crust, but the cornmeal waffle had an interesting texture; it wasn’t crisp like we were expecting and also borderline soggy, but we ended up deciding it was alright. Just some minor tweaks are needed.
Everlyn Z — Google review
We got the chicken and waffles plate and the chicken sandwich. The chicken has a heavy pepper flavor, almost like that is the only seasoning that they use here, the good side is that the meat was tender. The waffle is a bit lacking in flavor. The jalapeno aoli that comes with the sandwich is unnecessarily spicy, we thankfully got it in the side, but the sandwich needs some moisture so make sure to get something if you order this. The only good side about this place is that the food is very filling.

Milk Drunk is a laid-back establishment located in Seattle's Beacon Hill neighborhood, offering a delightful combination of soft-serve ice cream, sandwiches, and creative cocktails. The restaurant is the brainchild of chef Logan Cox, known for his work at the renowned Homer restaurant. The menu features an array of tempting options such as fried chicken sandwiches with unique flavors like whipped garlic and harissa or hot honey and shaved country ham.
Mozzarella sticks are a must! Perfect, crunchy crust with generous portion of chewy mozzarella cheese. Glad to see they had a fish sandwich special the day I went because it seems like most items on the menu have chicken. The fish in the fish sandwich was fresh and tasty. Good crust. Wasn’t the biggest fan of the spices used for flavoring but they were alright.

Milk drunk is a yummy spot for chicken sandwiches and soft serve ice cream. Basic sandwich | $11 | 9/10 - really enjoyed this chicken sandwich, the breading is a good texture, very light and crunchy. I wish it had a little more kick to it, as the pickles are not very vinegary and didn’t get any light heat from pepper or mild spice. Tenders & curly fries | $15 | 7/10 - the curly fries are delicious, again nicely crispy and yummy seasonings. The tenders were also decent, but preferred the chicken sandwich more. Chocolate malt shake | $7 | 8/10 - flavor itself was nice and chocolatey but still felt not too heavy/creamy. Service/Vibe - Came at a busy time so service was a little slow which I can understand. The place itself has very little indoor seating, tables are smushed in so you’d be up close with the people sitting next to you. There’s outdoor seating, but only good when the weather is nice.

Overall Rating: 4.5 of 5 (9/10) We swung by this spot on our way to Canada (we picked some friends up in this area) we got a vanilla with M&Ms, strawberry, matcha with chocolate and a vanilla with butterscotch hard shell. All in all everything was good! You can't really go wrong with ice cream. The butterscotch was mine and I can say the flavor was really good of the shell, the vanilla was a basic vanilla. They had a good source of variety. And the place was popular! Would come again.

Delicious food, fast friendly service, small drinks. The portabello mushroom burger is delicious very crispy fry with a moist mushroom center. The strips are large and crispy with a generous serving of fries. The house hot honey is sweet with a great kick. My only reason for four instead of five stars is that the drinks are pricey for the size and I found myself a little disappointed by that.

Solid chicken sandwiches! A little stringy on the chicken bite but was flavorful, crispy and a nice sized sandwich. Went with the Basic and Original. Would get Basic again + a side of general tso! Curly fries are good - got the crunchy end pieces which are still good but got sad seeing all the other tables after us get nice basket of actual curly-curly fries! So that was a little bummer... Star of the show were the Mozzarella sticks! Cheese pull! I would def come back for that alone! Must get mozz sticks + any of their other sauces! Ice Cream was good - we got the vegan strawberry but will come back to try the chocolate malt and/or swirl! Limited indoor seating and lots of outdoor seating. Very close to transit - quick easy ride from downtown!

10 out of 10 would eat again! Fun vibe, with yummy soft serve. Portions are great for the price. Chicken cooked perfectly. Try all the sauces!! Location is good because it's right off the Beacon Hill light rail station. There is some seating inside. And there's some outside in front of the restaurant across the sidewalk. It gets busy but the wait for food was quick. And the wait for ice cream was even quicker. This time I got the strawberry soft serve. And it reminded me more of sherbet then ice cream per se. Although it had the soft serve texture. If you like chocolate the malted chocolate is the way to go. If you want something not too chocolatey get the swirl with vanilla. There's also a matcha version but you can only get that by itself or with the strawberry.

I saw this place on TikTok and it had very aesthetically pleasing food, I dined in and ordered a Nashville Hot chicken sandwich and a vanilla chocolate swirl ice cream, the chicken sandwich was quite large and looked good. Unfortunately, it was very difficult to chew and very stringy. The ice cream was okay, it was average but the cone was very hard, I didn’t realize until after purchasing they kept their ice cream cones out all day which was disappointing because I paid extra for the waffle cone. They had a good variety of food but limited ice cream flavors, It was quite loud inside of the restaurant but they also had outdoor seating. Overall, I would not visit again but it was fun to try.

Pure Indulgence at Milk Drunk - A Five-Star Feast! From the moment we walked into Milk Drunk, we knew we were in for something special, but the reality far exceeded our expectations! This spot has absolutely nailed the art of elevated comfort food. The special fish sandwich was a revelation. Forget your typical greasy fish fry – this was a perfectly cooked, flaky piece of fish nestled in a fantastic bun with thoughtfully curated toppings that sang in harmony. Every bite was a delightful balance of textures and flavors. Then came the double fried chicken sandwich. Oh. My. Goodness. Crispy doesn't even begin to describe the exterior, giving way to incredibly juicy and flavorful chicken. The layers of deliciousness in this sandwich were simply addictive. It's the kind of sandwich you keep thinking about long after you've finished it. And let's not forget the supporting cast! The curly fries were perfectly cooked – crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside – and that garlic sauce? Pure magic. It elevated a simple side to something truly craveable. We were practically licking the container clean. But the grand finale, the pièce de résistance, was the malted chocolate soft serve with the chocolate shell. This dessert was a nostalgic dream come true, but with a sophisticated twist. The malty flavor of the soft serve was rich and satisfying, and that crackly chocolate shell added the perfect textural contrast and an extra layer of decadent chocolatey goodness. It was the perfect sweet ending to an already incredible meal. The service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere was buzzing with a happy energy. Milk Drunk isn't just a place to grab a sandwich; it's an experience. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared with high-quality ingredients and a clear passion for flavor. If you're looking for a truly outstanding and memorable meal in Seattle, look no further than Milk Drunk. We left feeling completely satisfied and already planning our next visit. Five stars all the way!

Chi Mac in Seattle is a casual late-night spot that offers Korean fried chicken and wings with various flavors, along with draft brews. The restaurant was inspired by the Korean trend of 'chimaek,' which pairs fried chicken with beer. In addition to crispy Korean-style poultry, they also serve fried rice, cheesy corn, French fries, and ice cream cocktails.
these wings are the best, and the flavor is amazing! The food was super fresh and yummy. Delicious 😋

Yummy wings!!! We got the Large order of wings (20 pieces). We split the order into 10 Korean wings and 10 Chili Jam wings. The table we were at was sticky. It did not get cleaned very well.

Chi Mac is the local KBBQ place in UDistrict, but I’m not particularly impressed by the prices or chicken or atmosphere. Every is just kind of okay, but even while going here to eat at peak lunch hours, the place just feels a little mediocre, much like the chicken. Overall, the local KBBQ, but for the price and location, I’d recommend looking around more.

Got wings and popcorn chicken over rice. The wings were good and have a choice of different seasonings. You can also just get the seasons on side if you wish to try different ones. Found classic Korean one to be best. For the popcorn chicken over rice the chicken part is good but there's not really much of flavor other than that as it's just literally plain rice and cheese.

First of all, I walked in, and there were some old Korean folks sitting by the window. OK, if Korean folks are willing to go to a Korean place, that's where it's at! And I trust the old folks! Honestly, not bad. I went in, ordered immediately, and the food came out within 7 minutes. That's pretty quick, honestly! I like the lighting and the sort of industrial revival look of this place. The only thing I have to complain about is that the tables and chairs were a little bit sticky, so they may have to use some stronger chemicals to get that grime out. Other than that though, food was great, service was quick and good, and I like the fact that they actually give you finger gloves to keep your fingers clean while picking up the chicken, although, I would have preferred the full-palm plastic gloves. Still worth hitting up for a quick bite!

Their chicken is top notch and you cant go wrong with any of the options. From wings to chicken strips made from chicken thighs. I liked the garlic cheese powder on top but the korean spicy sauce is tasty as well. The fried rice was a good addition to my meal and was flavorful.

best SERVICE & FOOD on the ave. wish this place existed when i was a UW student.. but glad to see it’s a storefront on the ave today as an alum. ordered pretty much everything on the menu and the dishes did not disappoint. the hostess and staff also held it down welcoming and catering to everyone that came in on a busy weekend night. whether you live in the seattle area or not, you gotta come check this place out to get your korean chicken fix. side note - they provide these cute finger gloves for your food so your fingers don’t get dirty!

Bonchon First Hill is a casual chain that specializes in Korean fried chicken and traditional dishes. The cooked-to-order chicken, particularly the garlic soy flavor, is highly recommended for its juicy meat and crispy skin. Customers have praised the freshness of ingredients in dishes like bibimbap with bulgogi. The restaurant's chicken sandwich has also received rave reviews for its crispy and juicy texture, making it a standout choice compared to other local establishments.
Had a great lunch here with my partner! We initially were a bit worried by the negative reviews, but decided to try it out due to a friend's recommendation -- very glad we made the decision. Food was amazing and service was adequate. The chicken drumsticks had the most crispy skin I've ever had, and was coated in just the right amount of sauce. The seasoned fries were a delight as well, with generous amount of herb seasoning and parmesan. Staff was very attentive and we didn't have to wait long at all for our food. Would definitely visit if I found myself in the city again.
Bowei ( — Google review
I was super excited to come to the First Hill location. I ordered soy garlic wings with Cole slaw. I got the soy garlic mix of wings and drums with cole slaw instead. The chicken was cooked really well. The inside was still nice and juicy. Had I never been to a Bonchon, I would have scored this location score higher. Unfortunately, having been to Bonchon in NYC (the 38th st location, the one in K-town on 5th Ave, and the one in the Financial District on John Street before they closed it down), I can say this place ranks number 2 or 3 on the list of Bonchons. How a place sauces their chicken is second to how well the chicken is cooked. This chicken was cooked really well but what would have made the experience over the top would be the sauce. It didn't have the finger-licking good garlicky quality I expected and I felt that it was drizzled on the chicken, not fully coated as I preferred. Overall, I would still recommend this place and would return if I am in the area.

Went here after some friends recommended it. I think I tried it twice and both times I really liked it. Their spicy wings are pretty good and I would recommend that. It is not super spicy but pretty good. We also tried the soy garlic which was okay. The other thing I liked was the fried rice which had a great portion and was pretty appetizing.

Worst Bonchon chicken I’ve had. I’ve had Bonchon in Chicago, D.C, and Boston, each time were pleasant experiences and I loved Bonchon because of how massive the chicken drumsticks were. This location’s doing something wrong and it’s an insult to Bonchon Here? This specific Seattle location, my first time getting it from here was in the restaurant itself. I was craving Bonchon like crazy and was expecting the chicken to come out as heaping hot, crispy, and huge as my other times eating with Bonchon. Nope. I was disappointed and had to eat Bonchon without a soul in my eyes, it was as if I had went to wingstop and asked for their ethnic asian sauces on their chicken. The drumsticks are about 2/3 smaller than the expected drumstick at any other location, and the chicken is expected to stay crispy after a long period of time, even after being microwaved. 2nd experience with this location, I had free $30 ubereats credit and felt like Korean Fried Chicken, had Pelicana and Bonchon as options at the time. Figured maybe Bonchon could redeem themselves? Ordered from them, comes in a nice box, a meal set for 4 but it was really only enough for 2 because of how embarrassingly small their chicken is. Chicken skin was a mix of crispy limp because of moisture and their inefficient fake-Bonchon method of frying. Even the fries were better. Definitely should have ordered from Pelicana instead, they’re 20x better than the Seattle Bonchon location. Hopefully the bigwigs at Bonchon get enough critiques for this spot and care enough to get this location trained to become a real Bonchon. LEFT PIC IS FROM VIRGINIA RIGHT PIC IS FROM ILLINOIS you can see why im disappointed if you go to the Seattle Bonchon and expect their usual sized chicken

I’ve eaten at Bonchon 1-3 times a month since June and it’s always a slay! Love the boneless wings and the sliders, but I feel like my life changed when I tried the chicken katsu for the first time. It’s amazing! Service is always great, great value for the money, big fan over here.

I was in Seattle last week and decided to have lunch at Bochon Korean fried chicken. It is a brand new only open for about a month. We got there around 11:15am and they open at 11:30am. We were second in line. When the place open at 11:30am, it was pack very quickly. We ordered some Korean fried chicken and other dishes. It took almost an hour before our food came out. It was good but the wait was long. I would give it a 5 star but the place didn't even have ice tea.
Dan L — Google review
Service was great being a brand new restaurant adjusting to the public. Atmosphere is very clean and modern, nice branded wood tables and sturdy chairs. Branded napkins, nice new heavy forks real glass glasses. The food was good. Not exceptional in my opinion but good. The chicken was the best item I tasted, it's crunchy and just a bit juicy. Though it did seem like it was not fresh. Spicy had just enough kick and did not over stay it's welcome. The potstickers we're ok and lacked flavor in themselves and come basted in the same sauce as the wings. The coleslaw tasted just like KFC, take that as you will. The price is something else that needs to be discussed. Our lunch came to over $60 (including tip). We got 2 combos, a side of potstickers and fries as well as a soda. I came out full, my friend did not. Halving the price would bring this to 5 stars from me and likely make me a weekly regular, at it's current price point I may visit once a month or so.
F4ust — Google review
Came through during their soft opening and there was a line well before opening. Luckily there was a spot for us and we got immersed in the menu. Besides the friend chicken that they're known for, they have a bunch of other bomb Korean and Asian. Got the large half & half and was definitely impressed. The chicken was a generous size for four people and it was very satisfying. They had the perfect crunch and great balance of flavor. It's not too overwhelming with sweetness like some places nor does it feel greasy. The spicy wings were amazing, they had a good kick towards the end but the spice didn't overpower the flavor. We got the pickled radishes to go with then and even the radishes had a great balance of flavor. More things to go with the chicken, the seasoned fries were definitely worth and offered a good break in between the wings. Also, we had an order of the tteoppoki and it was great. It had a warm kick, cheese on top, and some fried glass noodles wrapped in seaweed. All in all, it came out to $63 before tip for 4 people and we were full and happy. Can't wait until this place fully opens up, so much more menu items I want to try!

Chicken restaurant
Ma'ono Fried Chicken is not your typical sandwich shop; it's a fried chicken joint that offers a unique spicy, crunchy fried chicken sandwich with pickle, lettuce, and kewpie mayo on a Hawaiian bun. The concept was developed by chef Mark Fuller and involves a labor-intensive process of brining the chicken in both dry and buttermilk brines, using Japanese spices, and finishing with a fiery kick reminiscent of Nashville hot chicken.
I went to this place on a food tour last year, and now every time I'm town, I have to make a stop to get some fried chicken and honey mustard sauce. This chicken is fantastic. It's juicy and tender, and you can choose the spiceness for the breading. I'm also very much a sauce girl, and I could eat buckets of the honey mustard sauce, which has a delightful kick to it that pairs so well with the chicken. I do have to say, the potato mac salad was not my favorite. It didn't taste the same quality as the chicken and it too dry for my tastes. In the future, I'll just stick with getting the chicken. It's right next to the Amazon spheres, so you can watch the crowds while you eat, and they share space with Rachel's Ginger Beer so you can have a tasty drink with your food. (I highly recommend the pink guava Moscow mule.) I'm already looking forward to my next trip to the area.
Michelle P — Google review
The chicken pop-up at Rachel’s Ginger Beer serves a solid chicken sandwich and fries. I usually get the mild chicken sandwich—it has a good cayenne-style chili flavor with just the right amount of heat. Definitely a reliable option if you’re in the area.
Mónica C — Google review
Ordered the fried chicken drumsticks and they are crispy and large sized. However, too salty without any of their sweet sauces to dip in. You have to clarify whether the first dip is free coz when you head to the counter, it’s says $1.XX. I would say it’s fair pricing for the setup and a pretty filling meal in view of the horrible inflation in the US.
Jeremy C — Google review
I got the plant based fried “chicken” and it was so delicious; I got it with a side of corn! I love a good fried chicken sandwich, but was curious about their non-meat option. Definitely would go back to try a real fried chicken sandwich.

Idk if I came on a bad day (Friday evening) but it was not as good as I expected. Chicken was small (smaller than the bun) and I got the hot spice level, but it wasn’t even that hot. And the sandwich alone was $17 ish after tax too 😭😭 I’ll stick to shake shack I fear

I love this place, they have the absolute best fried chicken, their sandwich is to die for I recommend mild spice for a good balance of spice and flavor. Being attached to Rachel’s Ginger Beer makes this whole place fantastic.

Ooink Capitol Hill is a cozy and laid-back restaurant that offers a variety of inventive Japanese dishes, with a focus on pork-bone broth and vegetarian ramen. Chef-owner Chong Boon Ooi and his wife, Jiaxin Wang, serve up silky porcine soup in their small but inviting space above Broadway and Pike. The menu features non-traditional options like the spicy mapo tofu ramen, which transforms the classic Chinese dish into a flavorful noodle soup.
Excellent! We got the Kotteri and Shio Ramens. Both had delicious flavorful broth that was on the salty side (which I loved). The pork was tender and easily came apart. The noodles were tasty as well. I’d highly recommend this ramen as it is one of the best I have tried in Seattle! The location is above QFC and is quite small with limited seating and small tables. The service was great.

Mala ramen was pretty solid, has a good numbing taste and noodle texture is ok. Interior is a bit smaller and more intimate so definitely try to go during less busy hours. Overall service is not bad, just order at the front and they give it to you at the table. The gyoza and vegetarian ramen were good, overall a chill spot to try but nothing exceptional.

The food is absolutely incredible! Must-tries include the mala ramen and the Malaysian spicy fried chicken. We loved our meal and will be recommending this place to anyone seeking a truly unique ramen experience you won't find anywhere else in Seattle.
Sandy Z — Google review
This is a great ramen place for a quick bite to each, lunch, or if you’re craving a different kind of ramen altogether. With very pork-themed options (hence the name), this is a great ramen spot for people who love a good meat-centered broth and flavor.

Was looking forward to trying this shop since i saw the good reviews... was met with mediocre ramen in a tiny shop. Literally sitting on stools in a cramped dining area, you pay $20 to order at a tablet and grab your own food from a counter. Barely any interaction at all from staff. Broth was okay, but pork, egg, and noodles were all overcooked and cold. Won't be coming back, unfortunately.

Marco Polo Bar & Grill is a family-owned establishment that has been serving broasted chicken and pub grub since 1950. The bar offers a vintage atmosphere with a dance floor, patio, and TVs for entertainment. It is known for its delicious fried chicken made in an old-school Broaster, which sets it apart from the trendy fried chicken spots in the city. The bar has retained its traditional charm since its opening and continues to serve stiff drinks alongside their perfectly cooked chicken and jojos.
Very typical sports bar with a cool, fun vibe. Service is prompt and friendly. The food is what you'd expect from pub grub: nothing fancy, but pairs well with alcohol. There are TVs all over the place, so you're bound to find one with your event on it.

For my money, the best fried chicken, if not in Seattle, for sure on the south end. I've been going here for at least 15 years and only ever order the fried chicken. Recently I had the fried wings, they are very tasty naked. The dipping sauce was different but good, still unsure of what it was. Guess I'll have to keep coming back to figure it out and spread my "wings" by trying the rest of the menu items.

Pioneer Square D&E is a laid-back Pacific Northwest-inspired pub offering classic cocktails and approachable grub. The restaurant serves a variety of dishes, from brunch classics like pancakes and eggs to fresh oysters and their famous fried chicken sandwich. Their menu also includes options for online ordering with pickup or delivery. The cozy yet modern interior design adds to the warm atmosphere of the place.
Warm and conscious interior design made the place feel cozy and modern at the same time. Ordered Brussels sprouts which came in a big bowl with black and white sesame seeds! The Brussels sprouts were a bit over cooked (almost charred and crunchy rather than a bit chewy) but a burst of flavor nonetheless. I also ordered the Tom are soup and grilled cheese which was a top notch dish! The soup was amazing, the bread was crunchy and the cheese was the perfect stringy consistency! I also noticed a great wine selection. I would return if I ever visit the area again! I can’t forget to mention that the waitress was a bundle of joy!

I like D&E for many reasons. First, they have a menu with interesting, new creations that are often timed well with local events/cultural moments. In addition, they have their staples like the fried chicken sandwich. The food is consistently delicious and I like sharing it with friends and family who are visiting the area. Second, it's a cute spot and in the warmer months the front patio is a nice spot to enjoy the sun. Yes, Pioneer Square can be an unpredictable neighborhood, but the staff do all they can to make sure customers are comfortable and the owners are very involved in efforts to improve the area. Third, the staff are friendly, helpful, and good at what they do. We don't make it in as much as we'd like to now that we moved further away, but every time we do it is a good experience. I recommend you check it out!

12/29/18: walked in for brunch and was kindly greeted and invited in 10 minutes prior to opening. Service was very friendly. We were the only two in the place so it was nice to be able to chat. Ordered chorizo scramble, pozole, and fried chicken with sourdough pancakes. Everything tasted wonderful. Chorizo and flat bread was pretty big and filling. Lots of chorizo and egg! I thought the pozole could have been hotter but my partner thought it was good enough. Flavor really rich and good amount of pork. Fried chicken was really nicely fried although I felt it was almost burnt the crust was very crisp and flaky. The meat tender and juicy with a bit a spice for flavor not too atrong. The sourdough pancakes didn't win us but it did go well with the fried chicken. Their full menu looks really good and can't wait to go back to try other things!

Lola, located in downtown Seattle, is a vibrant restaurant by Tom Douglas that offers modern Greek-influenced flavors using local ingredients. It's a great spot for lunch, and if you have time, you can explore the nearby Pike Place Market and Seattle Waterfront. Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. My friends and I were speechless—literally silent—because we were too busy savoring every single bite. Each dish was a perfect balance of flavors, and our amazing server made the experience even better. She suggested we go family-style so we could try everything, and it was hands-down the best advice! We had the smoky eggplant, Greek salad, fried squid, pork kebabs, slow-roasted lamb, grilled summer squash, and for dessert, their perfectly moist and very delicious olive oil cake. Every single thing was a hit—NOTHING disappointed. I highly recommend ordering all of them for dinner!!

We went for breakfast on Sunday morning and it was packed, so we had to wait about 20 minutes. The good thing is they have a lounge where you can comfortably wait. For this reason, I think it’s definitely a good idea to make a reservation. The staff was super kind and attentive — they brought us water while we looked over the menu, and when we were ready we ordered the Eggs Benedict and the Octo hash, which we shared. Both dishes were delicious and generous in portion; honestly, one of the best Eggs Benedict I’ve ever had! The real standout, though, were the potatoes — crispy and super tasty. The coffee they served was standard American drip coffee, which is pretty typical(but expensive tho)and maybe the only thing that could be improved was the drink menu. It would be nice to have a wider breakfast drinks selection, maybe with more coffee options or fresh juices. All in all, it’s a fantastic place to enjoy a great meal. It does get busy and therefore a bit noisy(and pricey)but we’re already planning to go back to try more of the menu!

We came in at late lunch time (dinner menu), the manti is amazing, it’s inspired from the Turkish Manti and is very flavourful, the lamb is tender and moist. The chicken kebabs are succulent and arrive at the table with a sizzle, we ordered some pita to pair the kebab with. It’s a great place to people watch, if you are seated by the windows- the service is not hurried and a meal is enjoyable and slow unlike a lot of other places in the neighbourhood.

Absolutely delicious! We started with the Kalamata olive fig spread and blue cheese feta spread - they were good individually and when we tried them together. I forgot to get a photo of the dolmades but they were the BEST WE HAVE EVER EATEN wow yum! Shakshuka was so good. Service was fabulous. Highly recommend!!!

I can’t wait to get weekend brunch here again! We had the shakshuka, the doughnuts, and the octopus hash. All were delicious. Great after a long evening out and worth a wait.

9/28 1pm. Great place, great food. However I wouldve rated the experience higher if I didn’t see a food runner actively popping his pimple on the right side of his jaw line. White chubby guy with glasses semi long brown hair. I also don’t want to slam the business over an employee doing something that wrong. Management please speak to this guy. Had he been our server I would’ve said something thankfully he wasn’t. Overall great greeter, great portions, our server was ok. I would still definitely come back but wouldn’t allow the pimple popping server to handle our table. Thanks

Nue is a trendy restaurant with a diverse menu that offers an array of global street food. The dining room is filled with memorabilia, creating a hip atmosphere. The brunch menu features dishes from various countries such as Syrian salads, Sichuan wings, tosilog, Burmese tea leaf salad, and Sri Lankan curry. The kitchen successfully translates these food traditions into a well-balanced and wide-ranging brunch menu.
Our waitress Lopez was great 🩷 we didn’t like the other 2 female workers there. Besides that interesting restaurant with a lot to see inside and has outdoor patio seatings too . Mixture of diff cultures and diff music. We heard Spanish, Chinese, and English all mixed in. The wing tower was great little spicy! They can’t give you other flavors once dinner hits. The roti was good too the curry was citrus flavored it was different! They had fresh lemonades and Arnold Palmer’s little watered down but atleast fresh made . The The bathroom was like a little maze coming out lol. The food was like Indian finger food vibe where you can taste the cumin. The wings was great little spicy! They can’t give you other flavors once dinner. The kids did enjoy the Australian fairy bread dessert for my bf birthday 🎉

They should put this place next to the word eclectic in the dictionary! The food options spam the world and your taste buds will most likely be taken on a royal procession. The fries were exceptionally crisp and smothered in tangy sauce with sambal to dip into. I have never had such decadent fries at a brunch spot. I got the Korean noodle dish and it is served cold. The candied lotus roots were a delight to crunch into. The shakshuka was good, but a little too much on the tangy side for me. Vegetarians have a few options here but meat eaters will have a field day.

All servers were nice and all food was really good! I wasn’t expecting it to be as good from the names or the pictures I saw online but they are all worth the try! The price is definitely on the high end so up to your discretion

The food here is unforgettable—bold flavors that feel like eating at your grandma’s house with all your cousins gathered around the table. The ribs were tender and rich, and the Ethiopian injera platter was tangy, playful, and perfect for sharing. Every dish carries a soulfulness that keeps me coming back. I truly wanted to give a five-star review, but I ran into a problem with the sangria. If you’re going to charge for a carafe, please give your guests the true value—not a carafe full of ice. On my last visit, it arrived so packed with ice that it only poured three glasses, compared to the generous carafe I enjoyed before. When I raised this, the server initially dismissed me in a way that made me feel like my integrity was being doubted, which was disappointing. To his credit, he did backtrack and apologize after I said I would just write a review. Still, if the carafe can’t consistently deliver value, it should be removed from the menu rather than charging guests the same as individual drinks. BTW-that is a picture of the first carafe from the week prior. My phone died before taking a picture of the iced carafe. That said, I still love this place. The flavors are powerful, comforting, and full of heart. When the service rises to match the excellence of the food, this restaurant shines as one of the best dining experiences anywhere.

We enjoyed the fried chicken wings tower! The brussel sprouts were nicely crispy and good with sauce. The pineapple cornbread was sadly really salty. We came on a holiday Sunday and there was only one chef working. Had to wait a lonnng time for any food. Will be back to try their chicken wings happy hour!

The war fries. That's all I have to say. SO GOOD. We also got the bunny stew (not actually rabbit), which was pretty good, but the war fries were the best. The drinks were really spendy and not super special for the price. All in all, I would definitely go back. There were tons of interesting options!

Uneeda Burger is a casual, roadside-style burger shack located in Upper Fremont. It offers gourmet burgers made with grass-fed beef and serves a variety of options for both grown-ups and kids. The dining area includes an all-weather patio with picnic table seating to enjoy the hefty burgers and hand-cut fries.
So many gluten free options! They even said the shakes were gluten free except the Oreo shake which they mix separately from the other shakes. The gluten free bun was amazing and didn’t fall apart. The veggie burger patty is also gluten free which I have a hard time fining elsewhere. The fries, onion rings, and cheese curds were also incredible. Highly recommend to anyone and everyone!

I've been hearing the hype for so long and so I finally gave it a try. There is much to like: big burgers with toppings piled high on top of a freshly made meat patty. I particularly liked the soda fountain that featured the local Seattle Soda company. Overall I liked the burger, and its better than most others. I did find the meat dry, and I love toasted buns but I found that mine seemed stale inside. Perhaps the next time it'll be different
__ — Google review
This was my first time trying out Uneeda Burger. I went up to the front to place my order then there was plenty of open seating inside of the restaurant and some outdoor patio seating as well. I really liked the vibe of this place. I got to try out the classic burger, the mushroom burger, and the french fries. The food came out fairly quickly considering that there was a lot of orders before mine. The classic burger was nice and simple. Nothing spectacular but not bad at all. A decent burger for a good price. The mushroom burger on the other hand was really good. The mushrooms had a nice flavor, the beef patty was thick, and this burger had a much better bun to top it all off. The fries unfortunately were very stale and not good at all. Overall, a decent burger spot for a good price. I think there is good value for what you pay for here.

This is my favorite burger place in Seattle. For full size tasty burgers you can’t beat Uneeda Burger. These are not smash burgers but full size burgers. The bacon is super flavorful and add cheese and you got a winner. I usually get the fries, which are amazing, but this time I tried the onion rings and they didn’t disappoint. They also have cheese curds as a side they looked interesting I may try them next time, I’ll keep you posted. If you’re in the north end it’s worth a stop at Uneeda a burger for lunch or dinner.

We were traveling from Oklahoma and wanted a good burger. We found this place online and thought we'd give them a try. Loved the name of the place and reviews sounded good. The burgers we had was like a backyard grilled burger. It was good and I believe the fries were fresh cut fries. I'd definitely eat there again if I was to come back to Seattle... But you couldn't pay me to come back to this hell hole of a city.

I have been coming to this place since 2011 and it has always been one of my favorite spots. Yesterday I happened to be in the neighborhood and decided to stop by again. From the moment my girlfriend and I walked in, the service was warm and welcoming. The staff made us feel taken care of right away. When our burgers came out, they were absolutely delicious — just as good, if not better, than I remembered. It is rare to find a place that can keep its consistency over so many years, but this spot has clearly not lost its touch. The food was flavorful, fresh, and cooked perfectly. What impressed me most is that the atmosphere and character of this establishment are still intact after all these years. It has not lost its soul, and that is something special. I am really glad I stopped in and will definitely be back again.

Monsoon Seattle is a trendy Vietnamese restaurant known for its contemporary dishes, including the signature clay-pot catfish. Established in 1999 by siblings Eric and Sophie Banh, the restaurant offers modern Vietnamese flavors with fine dining sensibilities. The establishment also includes Ba Bar, Monsoon's more casual counterpart, and Central Smoke. Located on the corner of 19th and Mercer, Monsoon now features new outdoor seating to accommodate more patrons.
Excellent meal and a pleasant environment. The menu is innovative, not your standard Thai or Vietnamese fare. We really enjoyed their dishes. Would recommend getting a reservation, otherwise you may get a table, or may have to wait a while. FYI the price reflects a premium dining experience.
John W — Google review
Only remembered to take pics of the drinks but not the food. Drinks are good. Food wise, don't expect traditional Vietnamese food, more fusion Chinese. Portions are smallish but come out quick for the most part. Seating outside and in, very brisk at 7-8 slot.
James N — Google review
Monsoon is one of those Seattle restaurants that manages to feel timeless. Set along 19th Avenue East, it blends Vietnamese traditions with the kind of quiet confidence you only find in places that know exactly who they are. The soft lighting, wood interiors, and gentle hum of conversation give it a calm, elevated energy — the kind of dining room that feels good the moment you sit down. The Food Monsoon’s menu is a celebration of balance — bold flavors delivered with refinement. Dishes are rooted in Vietnamese cuisine but expressed through a Pacific Northwest lens, using fresh, local ingredients that let each plate feel both familiar and new. The flavors are clean, layered, and deeply satisfying without ever feeling heavy. Service & Atmosphere Service is polished but approachable. Staff move with quiet confidence, ready to recommend a pairing or explain the inspiration behind a dish. The pace of the meal feels natural — unhurried but never slow. The atmosphere shifts beautifully from a relaxed lunch spot to an intimate dinner destination as the day goes on. More Details • Vegetarian options: Several well-composed vegetarian and vegan-friendly dishes; the kitchen is accommodating with substitutions. • Dietary restrictions: Staff are knowledgeable and careful with allergens or spice adjustments; gluten-free diners are well supported. • Parking: Street parking is available along 19th Avenue East; it can fill up during dinner hours, so arriving early helps. • Kid-friendliness: Family-friendly during lunch and early dinner hours; evenings lean more adult-oriented and refined. • Wheelchair accessibility: Ground-level entry, spacious layout, and accessible restrooms. Final Take Monsoon captures the essence of modern Vietnamese dining in Seattle — thoughtful, elegant, and full of flavor. Five stars for its consistency, atmosphere, and the way it makes every meal feel like an occasion.

Our favorite was the ‘papaya salad’ and the ‘Bo La Lot’! Salad had a good amount of fresh herbs which I love and the papaya was shredded well to pick up the sauce it’s mixed in. ‘Bo La Lot’ was flavorful and the jicama added such a great texture element; both 10/10! We also ordered ‘Lemongrass Tofu’, ‘Catfish Claypot’, & ‘Drunken Chicken’ with a side of ‘jasmine rice’, highly recommend the rice if you’re ordering any of dishes as the flavor and sauces on these dishes are rich and covers each piece of protein heavily. ‘Catfish Claypot’ is cooked in a black pepper sauce and I would say the pepper flavor is pretty powerful, which I like; the catfish was overall cooked nicely. We thought the ‘drunken chicken’ was good but not our favorite, more like a sweet and sour chicken which wasn’t what we expected. I also had ‘Holding Onto Summer’ cocktail, delicious and bright! Matched well with the dishes I ordered and served as a palate cleanser for me. We had 3 adults - 2 appetizers, 3 entrees, and a side of rice was a perfect amount for us! Service and atmosphere 5/5.

✨ Rooftop secrets, Saigon Crab cravings, and the waiter who changed everything ✨ Monsoon has always been a favorite — Bellevue set the bar high for service, and Seattle keeps me coming back for the food. The Saigon Dungeness Crab with garlic noodles 🦀 and spicy green beans 🥢 are unbeatable, and my new obsession? The Sayulita cocktail 🍸 — chili & hibiscus-infused tequila, fresh lime, cilantro, and house pomegranate grenadine. A glass of liquid art. But here’s the real MVP: Arrow. 🌟 Ask for him. His patience, timing, and genuine warmth made me feel seen and reminded me what hospitality should feel like. Service this good is rare in Seattle, and it turned my night into something unforgettable. Oh, and did you know Monsoon Seattle has a rooftop? 🤯 Perfect for quiet conversations, city views, and that tucked-away vibe you can’t put a price on. Nestled in the heart of West Seattle, the Seattle Fish Company is a charming neighborhood fish market that also serves as a delightful restaurant. This spot is perfect for seafood lovers looking to indulge in fresh catches without breaking the bank. With an inviting atmosphere, you can enjoy everything from steamed and grilled dishes to crispy fried options while surrounded by ice-cold Dungeness crabs.
The dining area is separate so you could enjoy foods right here. You could also purchase some raw seafood home. The chowder is saltier than my preference but it tastes good. All seafoods tastes fresh. Highly recommend!

We definitely love this place. The fish and chips are delicious and crunchy and not oily. I really recommend mixing it up. We got COD halibut and popcorn shrimp though I do think they could’ve put a little extra popcorn shrimp otherwise it was delicious. The clam chowder has been one of the best I’ve had and the Poboy sandwich was absolutely delicious and not too big so it was a perfect size.

We’ve eaten here a few times when visiting Seattle. Their fish is always fresh and high quality. We shared a Captains Plate with halibut, cod, and clams. Comes with fries. Portions are generous. We had clam chowder as well but I was so hungry I forgot to snap a picture. I will say it’s one of my top 5 favourites! If you love seafood this is a great place with reasonable prices. They also sell all type of fresh seafood you can take home. It would be nice if they offered mushy peas at the seafood restaurants here. I’m not British ( I believe the mushy peas originated in the UK) but I love them with fish!

Island Soul in Seattle's Columbia City neighborhood has been serving up a fusion of Caribbean and creole cuisine for over ten years. The menu features a variety of flavorful dishes, from jerk chicken to fried snapper with escovitch sauce, and even curried goat. The restaurant is owned by Theo and Gaelyn Martin, who transformed it from a 70s barbecue spot into a homage to Caribbean flavors while maintaining the spirit of comfort food.
Some of the best food I've had. I'm really glad I got the gumbo. I haven't had gumbo in a few years and this was perfect. It was seasoned enough that I didn't need to use extra table spices but I can also see how some people might want an extra kick. (If you don't like a lot of heat, don't get the gumbo. You're missing out, but you like what you like). Watch out for the code for the bathroom, you need it to access the bathroom. It's spacious and clean. I didn't look out for kid friendly utilities (apologies). I loved the sorrel punch. No notes. The hosts were hospitable and made sure we had food and water constantly re-filled. The tables by the window have some storage bins that can be rolled out. I used this in place of the absent bag hooks. The storage bins can house purses and coats.

You need to be 21 years old, so bring your ID!!!***** We had to order take out and the restaurant staff was really nice about it, and explained how the rules are strict about the IDs for a valid reason. Plantains were AMAZING. Best plantains ever. Can’t miss out. The tostones were so good!!! Garlicky, savory, crunchy, great texture. Highly recommend. Jerk chicken was really good. Vatapa was alright, I wouldn’t recommend it :) If you get a burger or sandwich, the jerk mayo is bomb. Def recommend to dip fries with the jerk mayo!

Such a fun, cute place. Nice to get a taste of Hawaii so close to home. Had about 15 minute wait when we went on Friday night around 7. Moco Loco, Chantilly cake, kalua pulled pork, mac salad, katsu pork, all so good! Comfort food for sure! There is parking on the road and behind the restaurant. The cake slices are big enough to share (but they are so good, you may not want to!). We love eating here when we are on this side of town.

Hade a great Hawaiian breakfast / brunch here. The food was excellent and all cooked from scratch. The pork katsu was crispy and hot. We ordered the guava cake to go and ate it later in the day. It was delicious as well.

I give this place a 4.7. Finally, we made it to this restaurant! When I heard who owned the restaurant, I was sold immediately! First impressions, amazed by the history, the photos of different celebrities that visited this location, and the different art that was given to the restaurant. The only downfall is the place can use some cleaning. The table we sat at has a plant next to it, and it was caked in dust. Other than that, the service was good, and the vibe was chill. Now the food, damn the food was amazing. Also, the positions....lol well let's just say, I hope you're hungry. Good size positions and flavors are to die for. Today, my girl got the Lau Lau plate, I picked the build your own Loco moco, which consisted of fried rice, spam, hamburger patty, and gravy. Omg, the banana wrapped pork was amazing. Pork was supper tender and just melts. The Loco moco was super good. The fried rice alone was supper good. For dessert, we got the guava cake and haupia cake. Omg, again, super good. The guava cake you can tell the guava spread was made fresh. The haupia cake had a nice subtle, but yet nice flavor, Overall, we love this place, and plan to visit the other location :)

Named after a notable Seattle sportsman and entrepreneur, the restaurant exudes old-timey Americana with its decor and food menu featuring hearty Pacific Northwest fare such as fried chicken and Crab Louis. This lively establishment, located within The State Hotel, has quickly become a local favorite for everything from bustling brunches to sophisticated dinners and a fantastic happy hour. High ceilings, large windows, and thoughtfully placed lighting contribute to an airy and bright atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed meal or a lively gathering. It's the kind of place where you can easily settle in and enjoy the energy of the city filtering through.

Lovely decor and atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food. We were at Ben Paris for an early dinner after a day exploring the shorefront and market areas. Our waiter Edward was very friendly and helpful as were the other staff. The food was excellent and most of the dishes we ordered were portioned perfectly for a European appetite with the exception of the butter milk chicken and the carrot cake; both of which were delicious but large portions. Three vegetable pasta had fabulous flavour and the beef shortrib was incredibly tender. The chocolate torte is incredible.

Very good Ambience and atmosphere. Service is pretty fast and the folks are very hospitable. The food options are also varied. However I would say the food is overpriced compared to the quantity of food. We ordered a couple of appetizers and dessert and they were pretty good. However the only downside was the quantity.

Enjoyable establishment to eat when near Pikes Place Market. I ordered the King Salmon and thought it was great. I especially enjoyed the coleslaw as a base. Also ordered as an appetizer was the Fried Halloumi, which was good but I probably wouldn’t order again unless had more mouths to share with.

We found this place by chance and decided to go in. The dishes looked so good that we didn’t mind waiting 30 minutes for a table. In the meantime, we walked around the nearby shops at Pike Market and came back just in time to enjoy an amazing breakfast. We ordered the Ricotta Pancakes — you get two, served with a delicious cream — and the Ben Paris Breakfast, which included eggs cooked to your liking, toast with jam and butter, bacon, potatoes (my favorite part, I’d say), and a small yogurt parfait with cereal. We had espressos with the meal and later also ordered cappuccinos. We left feeling super full and satisfied — honestly, one dish could easily be shared between two people! Great service and a really well-located spot. Highly recommended.

What a cute and comfortable restaurant to have a relaxing morning in. Leather benches, marble tabletops, and lots of light make this a great place to enjoy coffee, breakfast, and brunch. The service was fast, and friendly, and attentive. Everything we ordered was fresh and well balanced, not too heavy or salty but still flavorful. I would go again and I recommend this restaurant.

Ben Paris is hands down one of the best spots in Seattle! Everything was flawless — the food, the vibe, the staff. Photos don’t do it justice. Get the chicken, fries, and hush puppies — thank me later. Open kitchen, great energy, absolute must-try!

Caribbean restaurant
Jerk Shack is a vibrant spot in Belltown, Seattle, where you can savor the flavors of the Caribbean. The colorful interior and island-inspired cocktails set the scene for a delightful dining experience. Chef Trey Lamont's expertise shines through in dishes like half jerk-spiced fried chicken served with crispy plantain medallions. The restaurant offers a modern take on classic Caribbean cuisine, creating an inviting atmosphere with its decor and music.
I've read the reviews but I stand by MY 5 star review based on MY experience, the quality of food I received, the outstanding service, and the vibe at the time I visited. I have had more flavorful island food, but my food was definitely NOT dry. The young man who served us was very attentive and even helped guide us to the restaurant after calling several times because we didn't know about Seattle's horrendously outrageous parking costs. I would recommend trying this restaurant and then stroll by Arte Noir, the cute artistic shop on the corner for some artisan candles and lotions. That would make a nice little complete afternoon.

My cousin and I had the crab sandwich and it was absolutely delicious. Also they have a hibiscus slushee that’s very delicious as well. We admired the wall art painted by local artists both inside and outside the restaurant. Definitely a 10/10.

This place fell off, when this place first opened the food was fantastic. The last few times I went I either had burnt chicken or the rice was stale. This last visit I had stale rice and stale plantains. The chicken was ok. Also I paid for extra sauce(you’re supposed to get two sauces) and they gave me one sauce packet instead of three. Total waste of $22. If you like Jamaican food go to Taste of Caribbean on 12th and Jefferson. The folks here don’t care about their customers.

I had to check the other reviews to see if something was wrong with me.I usually don't do food reviews but this one needed to be done. I'm sure at some point when starting out the food was good.... but today 10.27.25 OMG! I cannot believe y'all are ok with putting out that awful food! No flavor in the rice and peas. I was expecting Atleast SALT. and the only flavor u could taste on the chicken was where the lady sprinkled the rub. And the Ribs! Dry, no seasoning...Simply Not edible. God bless the cashier who definitely tried with the customer service, but that lady that put the food together... she slapped that food in the plates exactly how it tasted. Smh. I can't believe I'm posting this but Bossman, there's alot of work to do. And take my foolish advise, make sure your employees taste the food that they are serving each day. That way if they won't eat it, then don't sell it. Unacceptable . And to put jamaica's name on that ish. Yow duh better man! If I didn't live so far I would give back those plates and demand a refund.

Had a wonderful lunch meeting yesterday. Their branzino daily special with their houseblend of herb salt is one of the best and most well cooked fish dishes I’ve had (and I’m from a fishing village!). The staff were very friendly and helpful and checked in multiple times during our meal. Everything is well seasoned and flavorful. All three sauces that came with the special were well balanced and delicious. Highly recommend!

I was originally born and raised in Lakeland, Fl so trust me when I say I’ve had some of the best Jamaican food in the US! You CANNOT EVER go wrong with this place ! Ribs falling off the bone with that good JERKKKKK that just make ya heart smile ! The jerk fried chicken also is something to die for ! No literally! Do something good for yourself and stop by jerk shack ! Vegan options too ! I’m literally about to make my wife’s day with this food !

I can't even begin to describe how disgusting this food was. I almost never leave reviews but I had to take the time out. This food should not be served to humans nor should it be associated with the name anything Caribbean or Jamaican STOP IT! The lady who put the food together was the 1st sign that the food would be flavorless. She literally throws the food in the plates with her gloved hands, the only thing she ised utensil with was the taste bad rice. To my fellow Jamaicans tan ah yuh yaad and cook cuz mi nuh know ah wah dis. The cashier guy was ok he only works there he tended to us nicely because deep down he probably knew this is bad food.

Ramen restaurant
Small plates restaurant
Yoroshiku is a modern restaurant offering locally sourced Japanese cuisine and elevated ramen dishes. The menu features a variety of ramen options, including the popular spicy miso ramen with rich, buttery slices of chashu and sweet yellow-corn kernels. The spring menu includes exclusive specials like maguro dashi ramen, spicy wagyu ramen, and creamy pumpkin ramen, as well as a luxurious Wagyu uni truffle ramen.
TLDR; the ramen here is comfort food Between the two of us, we tried the spicy mushroom miso ramen and the pork zaru ramen. Both were absolutely delicious. The miso broth was super flavorful and the spice level was just perfect. I have to call out the boiled egg which was an extra - it’s odd to say this, but this is the best coiled egg I’ve had in ramen. It’s also loaded with mushrooms and other vegetables, which is such a bonus. We also tried the lychee martini, which was so delicious (albeit really strong!)
Pooja C — Google review
We visited on a Wednesday night around 8 p.m., and it was packed, which speaks to the popularity of the place! The ramen was delicious—rich, flavorful, but same level as other ramen places. The octopus cake was not very memorable, though. I would skip that one. The only minor drawback was that a couple of menu items were sold out, which seems to be a common occurrence based on other reviews. It’s understandable for a later evening on Wednesday, though. Service was efficient and straightforward, making for a smooth experience overall. All in all, a solid spot for satisfying ramen—worth a visit if you're in the area!

Food was good. Tried Mushroom miso Ramen. Broth was flavorful. Chili oil added good spice. Portion size was good to justify the price. Protein size was decent. Vegetarian/vegan options available, and marked on the menu. Liked the experience overall, service was pretty good. Would try it again.
Rohit K — Google review
The food was really good. The ramen, meat and egg was perfectly cooked. Service was nice and polite. However, the restaurant is pretty small, they don't have enough space, and we were forced to wait for an hour on Saturday morning before being seated.

Overall a very good ramen spot, but the competition is tough here in seattle! Love that they offer cold ramen too, and the simple menu is nice. Be aware NO FISH ON TUESDAYS! Not a bad thing, means it's fresh, but needed to call it out. Overall I would definitely go back, but doesn't top some of the heavy hitters in seattle.
Landon K — Google review
Summary: Really solid and flavorful ramen offering in a small yet warm and welcoming restaurant. No wait on a Friday afternoon, expect to pay $15-20 for a bowl of ramen and $6-9 for sides. It’s a little on the expensive side for what it is, but I would recommend! Food: We got the wagyu brisket ramen. Everything about the ramen was cooked to perfection. The broth was very flavorful, but the meat portions were on the smaller end, which was true for the other ramen bowls at the table as well. We also ordered the Takoyaki which was about $8, but tasted fantastic! Service: Service was minimal throughout the meal but we were seated right away, the food was out quickly, and the turnaround for the check did not take long after we finished up. Nothing special, but no complaints Atmosphere: the restaurant is small, but it’s warm and moody with a full black interior. I felt relaxed with the warm lighting and the easygoing nature of the space.

Stopped by for dinner and ordered the wagyu ramen. Overall it was tasty. I could always go for more toppings, but it had a lot of noodles. Prices were prob on par with other Seattle ramen shops, but either way the serving size filled me up. My girlfriend ordered a seafood special option, which tasted too "fishy" for me, but she enjoyed it.

Yoroshiku ❤️ you have my heart. Best Ramen place I ever visited by far. Fresh broth and delicious preparation. Fisherman's Ramen - best was clams and salmon. Zaru ramens broth was the yummiest with sesame seeds, chilli oil and crushed ginger on the side. Tofu spicy miso topped in flavours. Tan taka tan drink was okay but go for the Lichiko drink (burns and heats you up with that first gulp) was delish. Matcha tiramisu is real...you can taste the matcha flavour on your taste buds. Limited covers so it's a must to be here on time. The staff is sweet and helpful, they'll make sure to make you comfortable and explain each ramen, it's ingredients even the drink. My heart was full just like that Bowl 🍜 My second visit and Yoroshiku never fails! The sushi, I felt should keep refilling... So good. Spicy miso chashu ramen, Zaru ramen and spicy tofu ramen was perfect for dinner after a year. There is always a waiting line here, but to our surprise we did find a table right away.

L'Oursin is a charming and bright restaurant located in the Central District, offering a unique blend of French-inspired dishes with a Northwestern twist. The space exudes a Parisian bistro vibe with its wood wainscoting and brass chairs. Chef JJ Proville puts an innovative spin on classic French cuisine by incorporating sustainable seafood like dungeness, lingcod, and coonstripe prawns.
Went for my anniversary and had a great meal, every dish was absolutely delicious and the service was the perfect mix of attentive but not overbaring. The drinks were also wonderful. We will be going back! Highly recommend the escargot and the goat cheese salad!

We ordered oysters, snails, fish and steak. From all of it the best were two first. Fish was with super sweet and having corn made it even more. You could not taste fish at all. The mint leaves helped to break the sweet flavor but I wouldn’t recommend it. Th steak was okay definitely better than fish dish. We ordered also two wines (red and white) both recommended to dish. The red one was very watery witb little bite. Not our fav. The anniversary candles on paper were weird.

We visited Loursin restaurant today, and from the very beginning, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Unlike some other reviews, we found the service to be genuinely hospitable. The food was delicious — a bit on the saltier side for my taste, but still very good. Our server, Jack, was helpful, attentive, and open to feedback. The onion soup was outstanding — even better than what we tried in Paris! Overall, the experience was great, though it’s on the pricier side with a 20% service charge included. A lovely evening and a great dining experience.
Ferial M — Google review
Overall, a very solid experience. Some of their items blew me away and some were very meh. Fair warning you will have to pay for bread, but ask your server if any of your other items you order come with bread because one of ours did and we also ordered the bread so we had so much leftover. The French onion soup was out of this world. They use a veal broth instead of a beef and it gave it such a deep umami taste and I would say it’s one of the best FOS I’ve ever had. I will also say we had a charred prawn dish in a compound butter sauce that was so to die for. It almost tasted like a tikka masala sauce and paired so well with the bread (this was the dish we ordered that came with its own bread). The biggest disappointment for us had to be the steak frites. They charge pretty hefty price for a rather cheap cut of meat (flank steak) but I was willing to bite because I’m a sucker for a steak frites. While many things on the menu were not overpriced for me this one absolutely was. You get a rather tough and cheap cut of meat for damn near 50 dollars. This is the only nice French restaurant I’ve been to that uses a flank steak for their steak frites and it’s honestly jarring. Mind you their only other steak entree was a 3 lb T-Bone priced at 175 which is impossible to share if you’re there as a couple. Avoid this entree and look at others. Definitely not a bad spot for French in Seattle.

Tried this French restaurant, located in the Central District area. It is situated at the crossroads of First Hill, Capitol Hill and Central District. We tried various items on the menu, but probably should have sticked to the small plates. The XOXO TOMMY was recommended but I was not impressed with the drink. Should have trusted my gut and tried their version of the Espresso Martini instead. As for food, the salad and prawns were my favorite dishes. I was however disappointed with the steak-frites. Was expecting it to taste better, but the texture seemed off for me. Almost reminded me of roast beef but more rare. The sauce was not amazing either. I think if I go back, I would try their chicken instead. Also, we were there for our anniversary dinner and marked this on the Resy reservation, but it wasn’t acknowledged. We also specified the dietary preferences, but were still asked about it. I guess the info from the Resy reservation was either ignored or not received. Would have been nice if it was acknowledged to set-up the dinner. Overall, the food was great and will likely go back, but stick to smaller plates only.

Loved this place! The Burgundy snails were amazing — super flavorful and tender. They have a great wine selection, and the food is a nice mix of French style with a bit of American twist. Prices are on the higher side with a 20% service fee, but overall it’s totally worth it. Perfect spot for a date night.

We had an amazing meal with wonderful wait staff who were very helpful and gave us plenty of time to converse and enjoy all of the dishes. We ordered over half of the menu for our group of four and we're thoroughly sated. The oysters were as absolutely fresh and sweet as they could be. The pate, the tartar and the smelt were top notch.
JPP — Google review
They have good tasting tap water which was a good news because the tartar was very salty, or that’s what I thought until they brought out the french onion soup. Which had my weekly dose of sodium and was inedible.

Oasis Tea Zone in Chinatown ID is a delightful haven for bubble tea enthusiasts, offering an array of Taiwanese-style beverages including hot, iced, and blended options. This cozy spot is perfect for grabbing a refreshing brown sugar bubble tea while enjoying some tasty snacks like their popular Taiwanese popcorn chicken. Don’t overlook their spicy sandwich—simple yet satisfying with creamy orange mayo and slaw on a soft bun. While the atmosphere can get busy, it’s inviting enough to make you want to linger.
Really good mango milk tea with boba. Glad to have a spot to rest, hydrate, and charge my phone after some intense walking through the city. I like that they have arcade games in the back too! Very cute and hip

Overall really good! Would come back again. There was a Boba Happy hour (3 dollars one cup). The bubbles were a little bit soft 🥲, but it was worth for the price🫡!

This is more than just a bubble tea place. This is a lounge for the visitors and this is a community for the locals. They have a lot of board games, and they have pinball machines. The owner and staff were very friendly and nice and recommended very good milk teas based on what we were craving for. The tea is on the sweet side (for me), so if you prefer not too sweet, make sure to ask reduced sugar. We were just in time for the special: $3 selected milk tea between 2 and 4pm on work days.

Cool place to hang out, good variety of flavors, and food is great here but sometimes have to wait 10-15min for it to come out. Popcorn chicken and waffle fries are the OG menu item and they have discounts on chicken/fry buckets once a week (might be doordash exclusive). Super cheap happy hour $2 drinks in the afternoon if you like the basic flavors!

Wooden booths, plywood walls, dimly lit, bar stools and tables surrounded with Indie tunes. We are enjoying our taro with Boba milk tea and lychee snow with Boba. This cool place nestled in Chinatown and a good break from ou walk through the many shops and restaurants.

This is truly the OG Boba spot! Been here since my highschool days when Boba just didn't exist much in Seattle! Their Slushy drinks have tasted the same since forever! Same with the popcorn chicken. However, hot sauce is no longer as Heated as before, too sweet nowadays. But the popcorn shrimp is the bomb! Such a huge portion for a fair price! Love this place!

For bubble tea, it’s solid. Taro for $3.31 in the middle of the day. I could give it a 5 star, probably. Spacious for a place in Chinatown. I’ve been a couple of times but writing my thoughts before pedaling back to Bellevue.

Opus Co. is a small, smartly designed restaurant that focuses on serving seasonal New American cuisine cooked on a custom wood-fired grill. Chef Mark Schroder's culinary style reflects his Midwestern roots and Korean-influenced training, resulting in unique dishes like pork belly in fermented molasses and standout kale salads. The menu may be small, but the Opus Feast offers a comprehensive tasting experience for diners to savor various inspirations from banchan to lamb spam.
My fiance and I ordered the Opus feast, while I don't remember all of the names of the dishes & as a chef myself the atmosphere and every single dish and everything that was played was absolutely without a doubt delicious. At $55 per person I highly recommend going to Opus Co. We will definitely be returning to this place. I've attached photos from 1st dish to the last dish.

My wife and I went here for her birthday and we went with the $50 tasting menu option. If you've never been before, I highly recommend it. The food was superb and I'd have a hard time recommending just one item to go with. The staff went above and beyond to make the evening magical for the occasion. We will be recommending this to all of our friends and family.

Cools and cozy neighborhood spot. Service was superb throughout. Food neared excellent deliciousness levels but a couple of the wines including the chardonnay was not. This was not the factor that dictated my 4* instead of full marks. The reason was the food portions were on the smaller side. I understand it was a tasting menu but if we do the math it appears we could've gotten better value by ordering many of the tasting dishes separately that appear on the ala carte menu. However, I wasn't able to compare the dish sizes if this was done.

Thoughtful menu, delicious dishes, charming little spot and super friendly service We had a great time. Felt totally taken care of with half glass wines so we could try things. Didn’t do the “feast” but had one anyway with very nice but limited selections that somehow rather than disappointing made choosing easier. Despite being known for meat the vegetable and fish dishes were excellent. Also, good acoustics! Lovely evening that didn’t break the bank. We will be back if we can ever get a reservation.

BLUF: Gem of a tasting restaurant featuring open fire roasted locally sourced meats and vegetables in a quaint, affordable setting and owned and operated by the people running the restaurant. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Located in north Phinney Ridge, this awesome spot is small and justifiably so makes you feel like an important customer. No where in Seattle can you beat the quality of this food and the cost of its enjoyment. The owners have dedicated themselves to producing quality food at an affordable rate by splitting equally the duties of the front and back of house. On the evening we dined, the chef owner was bussing and washing dishes. Simply put, there is nothing these people wouldn’t do to produce excellent food using quality ingredients to be enjoyed at a price that most Seattle residents can afford. This is true dedication to their craft, and it is represented in the service and taste. We enjoyed the tasting menu and paired with local wines, ciders, and digestifs. Despite their excellence in service, there was never a time that we felt stuffy, overwhelmed, or snobbish. This was good, laid back, casual, and comfortable without losing an ounce of respect for their craft. The roasted, cured, and grilled meats and fish were on point. All served alongside a repertoire of pickled and cured, grilled and roasted, puréed and all sorts of transformed vegetables from the northwest. I can’t stress enough how great of a restaurant of this magnitude is within the bustling Seattle food scene where competitiveness is matched by rising food and rent costs. I applaud this group of owners and operators for working so hard to create the product that comes from Opus Co. I will be back and back again. Keep up the strong work! 👍🏻👍🏻

One of my new favorite restaurants in Seattle! My husband and I enjoy doing tasting menus from time to time and this one hit the spot. Our server was so fun and really made the meal a treat. We love going to places that serve high quality food but don’t feel stuffy or pretentious. They had great music on in the background and the atmosphere was low key and laid back. The tasting menu had generous portions for the two of us and they were very accommodating to my nut allergy. Fresh ingredients and dishes with an Asian flare! I’ll forever daydream about the crispy rice and the spinach salad we had last night! 🤤 Can’t wait to come back!

Wok restaurant
Karaage Setsuna is a casual eatery in Belltown that offers a fusion of Japanese and Hawaiian cuisine. The owner-chef, Yoshi Matsumoto, brings 20 years of experience to the table, creating dishes that blend local, Hawaiian, and Japanese flavors. Their signature dish is the chicken karaage plate, which includes perfectly proportioned servings of chicken karaage, rice, and macaroni salad.
March 2025 We were looking for a good place close to the Seattle Center to get lunch and found this place. The inside is a bit small and dimly lit. They have English pop songs playing in the background. There were 4-6 people booths, 2-4 people tables, and a bar by the front windows with 4 normal height stools. There was only one staff working the front. They were quick to greet us and had us seated. They gave us a QR code on a small stand, to see the menu and also order. I'm not sure if they take orders in person, but this does cut down people costs. Note they do not take cash. The QR codes are specific to the table. We did have to ask for water after placing our order. The staff was apologetic that they hadn't given it to us earlier. I noticed they spent quite some time talking to one of the other tables. The staff was friendly, at least. We were pretty amazed at how big the kaarage was. Kaarage is usually bite sized pieces of meat, but these were more like 2-3 bites sized. There was minimal breading and it wasn't oily either. It was definitely dark meat, moist but not fatty. They also gave us exactly 20 pieces (we ordered the large). The kaarage was very good and we definitely recommend it. The unagi (nigiri) sushi was good, with a generous amount of eel. The aburi charshu was served cold and was dry. Overall, we would definitely come back for the kaarage.
Isabelle K — Google review
We stopped in for lunch during our time in Seattle. With karaage in their name and the reviews figured their chicken should be good. Atmosphere was basic, nothing above average. Service was average as well, but the waiter seemed to be the only waiter for the restaurant during that time. Quick turnaround on the food considering. Their karaage chicken was good. We had the lunch entree with rice and pasta. Waiter gave us both flavors to try beyond the plain version and they were all good, lemon was the best. We also had a couple sushi rolls, crunch and spicy tuna. Spicy tuna was not as fresh as I hoped, the crunch was good. I would consider eating there again for their chicken but not the sushi.

The food was OK. They were out of bacon for my bacon egg and cheese bagel. Just wish the bagel had some kind of sauce. It was very dry. They gave a small discount but this place was a bit pricey. We did really enjoy the pecan roll tho.

Visitors to Seattle, we wanted to go to a restaurant our kids would enjoy. They loved the karaage and fries. We also ordered Ramen, curry, and a poke bowl. They're very generous with the food. Service was good.

Went around 8 PM last night. The fried chicken seemed a bit over-fried/over-marinated—salty and darker than the photos I see other people posted here. I’m a big fried chicken fan and had high hopes since the online photos looked perfectly crisp and golden. The pieces we got were different, but we were starving so I didn’t bring it up. That said, the server was really friendly, and I feel like if the quality was more consistent (especially with fried chicken as their signature dish), this spot could be great.

Mean Sandwich, located in Ballard, is a compact sandwich shop known for its sizable and flavorful sandwiches as well as its selection of beer and wine on tap. The menu features creative meat and bread-based options crafted by a Momofuku alum, including the signature chicken sandwich with melted provolone, red-bell-pepper relish, Hellmann's mayo, and Franks hot sauce served on a Macrina bun.
Such a beautifully branded spot!! They truly do serve a mean sandwich, but with a smile and fantastic fries. Honestly I'm not typically a frie person but these are outstanding, especially with the lemon pepper sauce! Tried the Jersey Sub and was definitely impressed by the freshness of all the ingredients, would recommend adding the pickled jalapenos and spicy mayo for a quick!!! The wedge salad was a great option to have instead of the fries but might think about getting the dressing on the side next time. Thanks, will definitely be back for another round!

We tried Mean Sandwich and ordered the “WTK?” — a fried chicken Po’boy sandwich with Skins and Ins (Salt & Pepa), and it was absolutely perfect. The sandwich was packed with flavor, and the bread deserves a special shoutout — crispy on the outside, soft and fresh on the inside. It held everything together beautifully without getting soggy. The fried chicken was juicy and perfectly seasoned, and the Skins and Ins were a fun, flavorful side that complemented the sandwich really well. Highly recommend this spot if you’re in the mood for a seriously good sandwich — we’ll definitely be back to try more!

My favorite restaurant in Seattle.. LOVE THIS PLACE!! Everything on the menu is delicious, but you have to order The D.A.M. Burger. It’s the best burger in the city. My other go-to order is the Jersey Sub, but don’t sleep on the falafel sandwich. And those potato skins are so addicting. The staff is incredible and very welcoming. Shoutout to Skyler! I wish they were open later.. I’d be there twice a week 😋

Came down to Seattle for a night from Canada and was looking for a sandwich spot for lunch. Ben and Dan introduced themselves while we were looking at the menu and never pressured us into ordering right away. We decided on getting The Mean Sandwich ($19) which comes with crispy potato skins on the side. The pickled red cabbage and mint made the sandwich taste phenomenal, we wanted more mint if anything. After each bite, the mustard flavour comes in at the end and the corned beef meat was pretty tender. The only downside was that our buns got quite soggy. They were thin so it didn't hold up to the sandwich fillings as I would have liked. It's a matter of personal preference on what kind of bread you like for your sandwiches though. I am saddened since I don't live in Seattle because I want to revisit this restaurant again to try their other sandwiches. Ben and Dan are super hospitable and pleasant to chat with. This is a restaurant where you can feel the amount of dedication and care they have for their food and customers.

I was in Seattle for work and out of all the places I visited, Mean Sandwich was the place that stuck with me. From the moment I walked in, Dan welcomed me in, and asked how he could help. I asked for the recommended sandwich and he said that the Mean Sandwich is what they're named after. And it absolutely did not disappoint (see pictured). Unbelievably delicious. Tastes better than perhaps it looks, and I think it looks mighty fine. Great presentation! Dan was willing to provide more recommendations on other restaurants in the neighborhood worth going to, which was helpful in planning out my trip. And I do want to note, Dan treated every single customer with the same enthusiasm and care. I'd absolutely make the trip back here again if and when I'm back in the area!

First time trying. Read an article about this place in the morning, ordered a Mean sandwich for lunch. Honestly, didn’t expect much but pleasantly surprised. So good. Cabbages, perfect. Deep fried potatoes, a little over done and a little too salty but otherwise, delicious! Would definitely go back and try other ones.

Came here per TikTok recommendation and ordered the beautifully colorful corned beef sandwich and the smash burger. Perfect portions and perfect flavors. The owner stopped by to chat with us and was so personable. Can’t wait to revisit next time I’m in Seattle!

Restaurant
Musang is a contemporary restaurant in Seattle, specializing in classic Filipino dishes with a Pacific Northwest twist and craft cocktails. The restaurant is a representation of the cuisine of Seattle's sizable Filipino population, aiming to preserve and celebrate the underrepresented food culture. Named after the owner's father, who immigrated from the Philippines to Seattle, Musang is located in a former Asian American community center in Beacon Hill.
❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥Everything was delicious! The staff were all friendly and chill, and we got to enjoy amazing food in such a relaxed atmosphere. I loved it. There was a steak on the specials menu, and it was seriously good! My husband and the couple we went with all had a great time. We were going to order sorbet for dessert, but they gave it to us on the house! The melon sorbet especially was insane! so, so good. You have to try it!😋

🌏✨ Musang – A Global Gem on Seattle’s Beacon Hill ✨🌏 Dining at Musang feels like stepping into a soulful story of Filipino heritage woven with the fresh bounty of the Pacific Northwest. Chef Melissa Miranda and her team don’t just serve food—they serve memory, culture, and community on every plate. The menu is rich with bold Filipino flavors, beautifully reimagined with seasonal, local ingredients. From comforting classics to inventive vegetarian options (clearly labeled and thoughtfully crafted), every dish arrives with both heart and artistry. The Escabeche black cod and Lumpiang Shanghai are standouts, but honestly, each plate carries the warmth of home and the precision of fine dining. 🌿 Why it matters globally: Musang is more than a restaurant—it’s a cultural movement rooted in love, legacy, and hospitality. It’s a space where tradition meets innovation, where every guest feels like family, and where the Filipino diaspora shines on a global stage. ✨ Insider Tips: • Reservations are a must—this cozy space fills quickly. • Perfect for date nights, intimate gatherings, and anyone seeking food that feeds the soul. • Service is deeply caring, blending professional polish with genuine warmth. Musang isn’t just one of Seattle’s best—it’s a place that belongs on the world’s culinary map. 🌍💫

What a wonderful time! A very delicious, creative, beautifully plated, family style meal. We got nearly everything on the menu & the only thing that wasn’t excellent was the pork belly special, it was still yummy but just didn’t taste as special as the other dishes. Highly recommended for a group of 5-6 to try the whole menu! We went with 4, and got 10 items which we didn’t end up finishing. They coursed everything out perfectly and the whole experience was awesome. Their patio was also super cute & very inside! No street noise or smells, covered and heated. Worth every penny!

Very busy place! However, I didn't see a single Filipino there, besides my wife and staff! The food was well presented but a far cry from tasting anything like the real thing. If you aren't familiar with Filipino food, you could say it's good. The food didn't taste bad in any way, but it certainly didn't stand out as great. $8 for 2 teeny weeny bread rolls, so-called Pan de Sal was a disappointment, not to mention a Rip Off! Service was as expected. The general atmosphere was great. Very pricey.

To those complaining that the food is salty—you might not fully understand Filipino cuisine. Traditional Filipino dishes are often bold and salty, made with staples like vinegar, soy sauce, fish sauce, and yes, salt! I’ve been to Musang twice now and love that I can enjoy authentic Filipino flavors in a welcoming, clean, and elevated atmosphere. Don’t get me wrong—I’ll always love my home-cooked meals and hole-in-the-wall Filipino spots for a fraction of the price. But I really appreciate having the option of fine dining with superb cocktails alongside these familiar flavors.

Musang was a great, chill Filipino themed dinner for us to catch up with friends. Service was decently quick, but could have helped us understand the dishes a bit more after we asked. Similarly, we never order the rolls dish but they were brought to our table twice and had to be sent back both times. Food-wise, everything was decently portioned and tasted great. My main issue is that there wasn't much spice! Maybe I had misplaced expectations, but I was expecting more impact from our bites. Drinks and desserts were solid as well. Overall, definitely would come back but would try to order hotter dishes next time.

Musang on Beacon Hill offers a refined yet comforting take on Filipino cuisine. As a Filipino, it makes me happy to be able to experience a truly unique dining experience like this in Seattle. We were a party of four, and from start to finish it felt special. They have a full bar (first come, first serve if you want to sit there) and an open kitchen where you can see the chefs busy making food all night. We also got lucky because Emily, our wonderful server, told us their menu changes every three months and we happened to catch the new Fall Menu. We ordered the following: Sinigang Chips – Tamarind-dusted potato chips with a tangy, sour edge. An inventive take on sinigang flavors and a fun way to start the meal. Lumpiang Shanghai – Fried eggrolls. I couldn’t eat these because they contain pork, but my table enjoyed them and said the filling was dense, almost like a meatball. I’ll take their word for it. Kinilaw – Filipino ceviche. Bright and fresh, dressed in an acid-sour mix. The flavors are balanced and bold. I absolutely loved this dish! Ginataang Gulay – My least favorite dish of the night. I was expecting a creamy coconut sauce, but instead it was dry and heavy on parsnips, turnips, and vegan bagoong. It just felt over-fused. My ancestors would roll in their graves at vegan bagoong. Lol. Pancit Malabon – Now this dish felt close to home. Bold, savory, and rich, with a vibrant sauce coating the noodles. Rooted in tradition but thoughtfully modernized. Absolute chef’s kiss. Sinigang na Baboy – Another one I couldn’t eat because of pork, but the table loved it and placed it in their top favorites. I did try the broth , it was delicious, though I wish they leaned more into the tamarind. Inaloban na Isda – My top dish of the night! Roasted rockfish prepared beautifully, so tender, super flavorful, and thoughtfully balanced. Rooted in tradition yet adventurous in execution. 10/10, highly recommend. Special of the Night: Fried Chicken – One of the table’s favorites. They raved this was the crispiest chicken they’ve ever had , juicy, flavorful, and a solid 10/10. I unfortunately couldn’t try it since I’m pescatarian, but I believe them! Cocktails were excellent as well. My boyfriend ordered a Manhattan, and I had their Calamansi juice with a shot of vodka added. The calamansi did not disappoint, it was tart, refreshing, and instantly took me back. Musang delivers on both flavor and atmosphere, balancing comfort with creativity. Between the rotating menus, the open kitchen, and the way each dish carries a story, this is a place I would return to again and again.

Great dinner at Musang! Some of these reviews say that portion sizes were disappointing. I’m unsure what level of gluttony warrants such ridicule. As a Filipino with a hefty appetite myself, I found every dish substantial. Flavors were solid and I left satisfied. The place has an unassuming exterior but cozy, intimate interior. Service was kind and prompt. Fantastic take on classic Filipino dishes. Highly recommend!

19 GOLD Taiwanese Restaurant is a cozy spot in Seattle that serves up customized Malatang soup bowls, Taiwanese-style braised dishes, and noodles. It's known for being the first Taiwanese Malatang restaurant in the city and offers a diverse menu that allows diners to explore different cultures through food. The restaurant has a homey Taiwanese feel and also offers bubble tea options.
Loved this place! The environment is clean and cozy, perfect for a casual meal. The service was friendly and helpful — the staff explained everything clearly since it was my first time trying Malatang. I really enjoyed being able to pick my own ingredients, and everything was fresh. The broth was flavorful and had just the right level of spice. The sauce station was super impressive with lots of choices — definitely a highlight! Prices are fair at $14.99 per pound. I’ll definitely come back again!

Go to McDonalds it is better quality. The reviews are catfish and the food is 100% NOT Authentic. Ordered 3 things and all 3 were bad. Beef Taiwanese noodle beef was THE worst quality. It was hard and gamey. The soup was water down you can see it. Spicy malang… no this is not it. The intimation crab , and fish balls is frozen. You can tell with 1 bite. The lamb quality is poor.. didn’t bother taking a photo. The only thing that was okay was the corn. Japanese twice roasted… super bland where is the step tea… Was really disappointed on the restaurant. The waitress who gave the bill.. was watching me give the cash and was very disrespectful. The rule is to give space to give the amount.

5/5 Portion size is very filling. 4/5 Taiwanese beef noodle soup: Good for a clean soup taste. Ask for chili oil to make it spicy. 5/5 Malatang house combo + lamb: Good mix of veggies. Wish there was more meat. Soup was creamy and flavorful. 3/5 Bok choy with meat sauce: Sauce is not as flavorful as other houses but it is a good balance if you are looking for something more bland. Can get it vegetarian or vegan. 2/5 Parking is very difficult. You can find street parking if you can walk 1-2 blocks over.

Came here for the $20 restaurant week lunch special and it was wonderful! Will def be back :) I got the house special malatang with tomato broth and beef and popcorn chicken for appetizer. Absolutely loved the popcorn chicken it was so crunchy and delicious! And perfectly fried, not greasy at all. Also was blown away by so many toppings in the malatang and how clean the tomato broth was and fresh the ingredients in it. 10/10!!!

Definitely 💯 a good place to visit, the food is good, so many options for the boba tea 🧋 and fruit tea. We came for late lunch, the location was a bit hard to find but there was plenty of parking on the street. The hotpot was great , we chose the light broth with some other snacks like chicken wings and some sort of sausage. We will come back again with our kiddos.

19 Gold was a disappointment. If you know Taiwanese beef noodle soup, you're not going to like the watered down bowls. There's an air of superiority walking in from the hostess/greeter. Paid parking was $8 for an hour. Overall, quality of food was low, snobby service, and poor parking options.

Hangry Panda is a casual take-out spot that offers Asian street food with gluten-free options. The menu features Taiwanese popcorn chicken, spicy fried chicken sandwiches, and a variety of gluten-free dishes. The owners are friendly and the food is well-seasoned, with highlights such as crispy fried chicken skins and scallion noodles. While some items like the wine pork belly were found to be too salty, the overall experience was enjoyable. Ordering online is recommended to reduce wait times as everything is made fresh.
A true “hole in the wall” spot, but don’t let appearances fool you. We tried their chicken sandwich and fries, and they were absolutely delicious. The chicken was light and crispy, with fresh, flavorful ingredients that complemented the sandwich perfectly. While the place is a bit run-down, the good service and great food make it worth a visit. We’ll definitely be back!

It has been SO long since I've had a fried chicken anything since I went gluten free! I stopped in, and the folks working there were really nice, and happily checked for me about an allergen concern. The service was fast and friendly, and the chicken was really tasty! I would definitely come back next time I'm back in town! I also grabbed an extra side of pickled cucumbers that were a great addition!

Found out about this place when watching a Mikey C video on YouTube when we lived down in Oregon. We just moved to WA and wanted to try this place out since we now live closer. Theres some parking behind the building. We ordered a few items to try. The noodles and pork dish didnt have as much flavor as I would've liked, but I still enjoyed them. Our favorite was definitely the chicken. We shared all of these and still had enough leftover for dinner.
Kelli B — Google review
Ordered crispy fried chicken skins, fried chicken sandwich, scallion noodle, wine pork belly, minced pork over rice, coffee bubble tea, and panda bubble tea. Fried chicken skin sauce (creamy garlic something) was perfect for dipping, but should have just ordered the other chicken appetizer. Fried chicken sandwich was awesome but wished I had ordered spicy. Scallion noodle was exactly what my son wanted. Wine pork belly was too salty and too similar in taste to the minced pork over rice. Recommend ordering one or the other (minced pork was better). Coffee bubble tea was good and panda bubble tea was overrated, but my wife thought it was insanely good so probably just personal preference.

I ordered the spicy fried chicken sandwich and sesame scallion noodles for curbside pick-up. They were right on time when I came by to pick-up. The sandwich was very good. Chicken was moist, veggies were fresh and bun was not soggy when I got home. The noodles were also very flavorful - loved the 1/2 tea egg that came with it.

Nice owners, please support! We had cuke salad( a little expensive for a small side but very tasty), fries(also wished it was a bit cheaper for a small side), fried chicken skins, popcorn chicken, pork belly over rice, scallion noodles, milk tea and panda drinks. Everything was well seasoned. Porkbelly was a little on the salty side but very tasty and tender. Drinks were good, I really likes the milk tea. We will be back soon! Order online as it will cut your wait time since they make everything fresh.

Tried it out because of Strictly Dumpling on youtube and glad I did. The food is delicious and prepared right when you order so you know its fresh. I had the wine drunk pork, chicken teriyaki and fried chicken skin all of which are a must try. The chicken skin can be fatty so I would recommend doing the popcorn chicken instead which gives you the same flavor but with chicken meat. One thing to keep in mind is that there are only 2 little stools to sit so plan to eat in your car or at home.

Pacific Northwest restaurant (US)
Fine dining restaurant
Nestled in Seattle, Archipelago is a unique dining experience that beautifully marries Filipino heritage with the rich bounty of Pacific Northwest ingredients. Chef Aaron Verzosa and his wife Amber Manuguid have crafted an intimate eight-seat counter where they serve a prix-fixe tasting menu that tells their story through food. Each dish reflects their island ancestry, utilizing local produce to reinterpret traditional flavors—like using green plums for sourness instead of tamarind and turmeric leaves in place of banana leaves.
We went to Archipelago on a weekday for dinner, it was definitely special. All the dishes here were full of creativity and presented aesthetic. Combinations of various ingredients and spices brought out the unique texture and tastes, especially a plate called Salvador Del Fierro. We didn't expect the savory sauce mixed with rich chocolate and spice balanced well with prawns and vegetables. We enjoyed hearing all the historical stories and inspirations behind each creative dish. As for the price, it's surely on the expensive side, but for the special occasion, this restaurant is a good option.

This is an extremely special restaurant. It is an honor to be able to dine at archipelago. I visit Seattle once a year and was lucky enough to pre snag up a reservation to their cozy world class restaurant. From start to finish, expectations were exceeded. This coming from someone who works in the fine dining food industry. Obviously the food was amazing, thoughtful, unique, and most importantly…Filipino. But what made this one of the best dining experiences was the staff, and the STORY. This is focused themed dinner with a purpose. Not merely appealing to taste buds. But pushing Emotion, thought provoking, and neighborhood presence in the Filipino community. This is a show. Attention to detail is their mantra. Every guest is special to Archipelago. The wine pairing is funky and fun. But enhances and doesn’t detract. All subtle yet beautiful. Thank you so much!! You would be lucky to dine with archipelago.

Flawless execution of dishes and service. They were so careful about my pregnancy restrictions and I never even had to ask if anything was safe for me. They were so friendly and welcoming and of course we so enjoyed the food, that, in many aspects, were brand new flavors for me. The dishes were bold and creative, yet found a way to be nostalgic in some ways to me. What a wonderful place, I hope to return to again and again.

What an experience to have!! Thought was put into every course, every ingredient, every explanation, every paired drink. Everything! To say the service was excellent is an understatement. Absolutely fabulous people working together to give you a upper class experience. They only take reservations. Max occupancy is 12.

The Archipelago experience includes elevated Pinoy cuisine with expert storytelling. The most memorable part of the meal for me was the service. The noodle and some of the vegetable side dishes were great. Everything else was okay. They offer an interesting collection of Pacific NW wines as well.

We had a wonderful tasting experience here last evening. I would highly recommend it for the person with an open palette and love of locally sourced food, family stories and history. The chef and staff weave family history, Philippine food history, and PNW history and all locally sourced foods into an amazing dining adventure and presentation.

Dinner at Archipelago is a stunningly intimate, flavorful, special experience! The team took wonderful care of us throughout. The flavors were astonishing. We love tasting menus, and this was one of the most creative and satisfying. We also enjoyed the stories introducing each course-- the staff enthusiastically and passionatel imparted knowledge about Filipino history and culture. Dietary restrictions and aversions (provided when reserving) were taken seriously and dealt with beautifully. The juice pairings are a thoughtful option to those who aren't drinking alcohol (or just not as much-- you can also add glasses of wine).

Nestled in the heart of Pioneer Square, Damn the Weather is an upscale gastropub that redefines bar food with a creative twist. This stylish venue boasts a warm ambiance characterized by its dim lighting and exposed brick walls, making it an inviting spot for both casual diners and cocktail enthusiasts. The menu is a delightful mix of modern American cuisine, featuring seasonal ingredients that shine through in dishes like grilled peaches paired with blue cheese puree or unique duck hot dogs topped with salsa verde.
With a mid-week day off, friends and I converged on Damn the Weather for some fancy drinks and a late lunch. There were a variety of cocktails on the menu. We enjoyed some fresh Washington oysters (Olympia wild and Penn Cove), a tasty Caesar salad with anchovies, and a chicken sandwich with delicious fries. Our server was friendly and personable, and the beautiful brick building reveals why Pioneer Square remains so charming. This was my second time here, and it will remain a delightful treat when in the area. Though it was easy to run up our bill, it felt of good value for a great day walking around the city. Enjoyed it so much, forgot to take pictures after the first drink!

I really enjoyed the music and the vibe they had here. I know im supposed to be writing about food, but...the music was nice, kinda like yacht rock. Anyway, I ordered the grass fed beef burger with a salad and salmon burger with fries. the beef burger was decent, salad was goodish, just very zesty. My daughter said the salmon burger was good and could have been a bit more juicy. overall, nice place, good service.

I have wanted to eat here for sometime mainly because it is the best named restaurant in Seattle. Damn the Weather! are great words to live by in the Pac NW. The place did not disappoint, it is casual and lowkey a great place to enjoy a meal with friends or coworkers at lunch. Service is nice but not over-friendly it is very Seattle, location on 1st Ave is perfect, quality ambiance that is tasteful but not pretentious with no loud music or TVs. The food is simple with variety and a couple exotic choices. Kitchen is small and ingredients seem fresh and committed chefs. Clam chowder was good, steak salad generous portion of steak and hamburgers are as good as they get. Highly recommend. Not the cheapest but reasonable for Seattle, alcohol more pricey than the food I think.

We went for lunch as we have always wanted to try this place sadly we were disappointed with our visit. The location is close to us and ambience is great however they were playing loud music a big no-no in my book. I ordered the house ice tea which was great and the underwhelming crispy chicken sandwich, it was perfectly fried but under seasoned, the fries were mushy but the garlic aioli was delicious. My partner ordered the pesto grilled cheese it wasn’t great either it was bland however the salad dressing was good. I’m not sure I’d we will try the food here gain.

Great food with French influence, steak frites was good especially fries in duck fat. Not too good of wine selection. We ordered 2 glasses of French Syrah Grenache and it tasted awful. Likely they had the bottle open for a long while. The waiter was cool to change the wines to a different type though.

JuneBaby is a stylish restaurant that offers classic Southern cuisine made with heirloom ingredients. Chef Edouardo Jordan, known for his fine-dining background, showcases his culinary talent by serving restaurant-style versions of favorite dishes from home. The menu features crowd-pleasers like biscuits and Sunday-only fried chicken, as well as more culturally nuanced fare such as chitterlings and oxtail. One of the best meals I’ve ever had. The pig ear salad was so good I almost cried. Fried chicken was really flavorful and crispy. Top notch service too.

People spoke so highly of JuneBaby so when we finally had the experience to eat here the food was a bit of a let down. We all agreed the best item of the 8 dishes we ordered were the potatoes that came with the brisket (meat arrived not warm). I will say drinks were fabulous and the variety of food was eclectic but portions were small for the price. Different aspects of the meal had no flavor/seasoning while others had an overwhelming amount to where you couldn’t quite eat it. For dessert the pecan chocolate chip pie felt similar to a store bought pie and the turnover with walnut ice cream was good and we’d order again - but still small portions. Beautiful atmosphere and great staff! The food was so so. The bill total was $320 (don’t forget they autograft).

We had the gumbo, catfish and fried chicken(served only on Sundays), biscuits, and cornbread . Everything was very hearty and filling. We couldn't fit in dessert but wish we could. The drink menu looked delicious... actually everything looked good, I had a hard time deciding what to get. Get there early for seating because the venue is on the smaller side, yet very cozy. There was beautiful art on the wall. Bathrooms clean, service was excellent and food DELICIOUS. We will be back.

Absolutely as great as it is raved to be. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This southern gem is loaded with goodies from baked goods to fried pig ears and oxtails. The food is refined, the environment is relaxed, and the prices are right. You must absolutely stop here for good food. Bring as many people as possible and try everything on the menu. Don’t worry if they’ve already run out of the fried chicken. Everything else is amazing and 100% worth your visit. We loved the buns, the pig ears, and the oxtails, but everything was great. The food was mostly southern type food with a twist of innovative cooking. Server took his time to explain to us all the ingredients in the food and how each meal is prepared. Street parking is available and easy to find on weekends else you can park a few blocks away and walk to the restaurant. Not sure about weekdays. Founded by the talented Chef Kristi Brown and her son Damon Bomar, this vibrant eatery showcases an innovative menu inspired by both Southern comfort and Asian influences.
I’ve read about this place from food critics and had very high expectations coming here. I was not disappointed, the food was incredible. We tried 5 different dishes and every single one was delicious- everything from the salad to the Mac and cheese! My main was the salmon and shrimp and it was absolutely to die for. It was also such an incredible experience, the interior design of the space is so unique. We sat at the bar and it was comfy and easy to enjoy our time together. And, it was my sister in law’s birthday and they made her experience so special! A birthday dessert was included (lemon pound cake- so good!). I will be coming back here for special occasions in the future!

Simply underwhelming. Our experience was disappointing from start to finish. Despite arriving on time for our reservation, we were left waiting outside for 20 minutes with no explanation — a sign of poor management and disorganization. Every dish that came out was incredibly salty — to the point where we went through three large bottles of water during the meal. The collard green salad likely contained a fistful full of salt, so was the deviled eggs. It was hard to enjoy the food with us grasping for water after each bite. Lastly, service was poor and essentially nonexistent. At the start, we asked the host to help get our server’s attention. She said she would — but never followed through. Instead, we watched her return to her tasks and ignore our call for help completely.

I had been wanting to come here and I'm so glad that I finally made it! I was expecting the food to be good, but it still blew me away. The flavors of both the dishes and the cocktails were perfectly balanced and very interesting and compelling. The biscuits were insanely flaky, the collard greens were soft but with a bit of bite, and the chicken wings had a crisp outside but were super juicy inside. The service was also impeccable. Our host and waiter were both friendly, conversational, and approachable, but the service itself felt like a fine dining experience. Honestly, I was blown away with all aspects and plan to return soon!

Hands-down, the best food I had in Seattle! If you don’t make a stop here when you go to Seattle, you’re truly missing out on truly good food. I ate at many spots while staying in Seattle, but no place compared to the cuisine and this restaurant. Award-winning chef Kristi Brown is the co-owner and part of the reason why this place is amazing! I have absolutely no complaints, the staff were friendly, the food was amazing, and again if you don’t make it to this restaurant while in Seattle, your Taste buds are truly missing out. My friend and I tried so many items on the menu because everything looked great! All this to say… Run, do not walk to this restaurant.

Had a few really great visits in the last year. Their pork chop, Berber chicken and cornbread were amazing. On the latest visit we were craving the old menu. Couldn't order cornbread as a side.. why not?? The BBQ chicken was pretty good. The new fried pork chop was decent (but the old one was better). The Laotian dumplings were meh (the sauce was tasty but the consistency was just too soft/mushy for such large dumplings). The pound cake was delicious (not too lemony). I don't have a sweet tooth but would happily get that again.

I don’t say this often, but this spot is one of my new faves. Pro tip, make a reservation. I love that they change up the menu and use local vendors. We got the deviled eggs. So decadent. We got the clams with Laos sausage, one of my must eats. We got blackened salmon special which was perfectly cooked and seasoned. And we got the jerk chicken with magical ranch. The mac and cheese and the okra were chefs kiss. It was so dang good. I have a less common Asian name and they said my name correctly and I can’t tell you how much that warms my heart. The staff was personable, friendly and made us feel so welcome. Communion is officially on my food rotation list.

Communion Restaurant in Seattle is a fun place with very good food and drinks. The workers are nice and make you feel welcome. The drinks are also very good and go well with the food. Music plays inside, which makes it fun, but it can be a little loud. There is no parking lot, so you have to park on the street, which can be hard. It’s best to come early. Overall, it’s a great place to eat and enjoy with family or friends.
Upali S — Google review
I have been to Communion three times now and have had 5 star service, drinks, food, and a great experience each time. Their food is SO. GOOD. You MUST get the deviled eggs and unc’s wings. Communion’s food looks incredible, tastes even better, and they never miss. I just love that, each time a plate was set down in front of me & my friends, absolute joy and excitement lit up our faces and then our bellies :) Cannot recommend Communion enough & while it may seem like special occasion kind of place, each dish tastes like home and I never need a reason to go here other than, I feel like it. Please do not wait for an excuse to celebrate, and get yourself to Communion for an amazing meal.

Cocktail bar
American restaurant
Bar
Percy's & Co. in Seattle's Ballard neighborhood is a trendy hangout known for its artisanal drinks and New American small plates served in a vintage-inspired setting. The bar takes inspiration from apothecaries, infusing herbs and fruits into their cocktails to create complex and fresh options like the lime leaf-infused mezcal-based Mi Esposa. The establishment is named after Percy Sankey, a Prohibition-era bar owner in Ballard who disguised his place as a menswear shop.
Happy Hour is limited to 2 hours after opening and before closing. Friendly staff, w/ excellent cocktail skills. A nice slice of Old Town Ballard that has seen a few names in the last decade. The 'Ballard Hot Chicken Sandwich' is insane at a $10 Happy Hour price. Damn if it doesn't make a mess. Though a 3 pack of regulars w/ practice had them neatly in hand... they never put theirs down, nor cut 'em in half like we did. Seriously well used paper napkins.... Small rear outdoor area is covered. Less of a mess w/ leaves & rain, though it can get hot.... Parking on Ballard Ave. is a crap-shoot. You may walk a block or three, but it IS TOTALLY worth the effort.

i’ve been here several times for cocktails but never for dinner. i went for a walk in dinner on a friday around 6:40 and was seated right away. first of all, the service is GREAT. super kind server and very attentive despite being the only one on the floor with a 75% full restaurant they’re specialty lies in drinks but the food is still good. their fried chicken is great, flavorful and moist without being too greasy

Slow service! Not enough staff! Ordered a Tito’s martini got charged $12 for the Tito’s & $6.00 for the Vermouth & Olives. My friend ordered a Titios & Tonic $12 for the Tito’s $1 for Tonic. I’m 74 and in my life never been charged extra for the mixer or olives. Then found out after they ran the card they charge 3% yo use a card. Definitely won’t be back. Too bad. Food and drinks tasted good. I would have recommended this place to my friends in a heartbeat. But that is a really tacky way to price your drinks. Just put the correct price on the menu.
Ellen J — Google review
The service has always been marginal and slow but asking for additional ketchup and not being notified it is a charge and now charging 3% for cc pmt. So tip is now a % of sales tax and cc fee! They're chix sandwich has been great and if you can time their ridiculous "2hrs within opening" timeframe it's a good value but this time the sandwich was not good. More batter than chix plus the extra charges and I'm not excited about returning.

Been to this place 4 or 5 times and the drinks are truly fantastic , this time I ordered a chicken sandwich and a makers mark Manhattan outside .. as my dog was coming along , the front (street side) terrasse is pretty clean but doesn’t reflect at all the richness of the interior design . Anyway the chicken sandwich is really tasty but not the best I ever had , drink was on point as usual. Still deserve 5 stars all day .

Their cocktails are fancy 🤣 Food is okay, I recommend the e fried chicken and sandwiches, especially sandwich. It’s surprised that a bar selling so very delicious sandwiches. Shishito is too salty for me😰 The vibe is very awesome!

Hosted my 40th birthday in the back room this past weekend, from the "vibe" of the room, to the chef and the food, to the excellent service from the waitress and bartender, it was an amazing party & venue! Would highly recommend. The bar itself was packed and that didn't stop us from getting timely and friendly service all around. The chef came out before the party and talked me through timing for the food to help put me at ease. Couldn't say enough nice things about hosting my event here!

We stopped for a drink before another event, I had a Veneto Sour and the warm olives. The service was a little slow, especially since it was pretty empty inside but the cocktails and atmosphere were amazing and the menu is ridiculously inventive and fun, so we didn't mind the wait. I'll definitely come back to try the food and a different cocktail!

Vietnamese restaurant
The Boat is a small Vietnamese eatery located in a building shaped like a boat. Originally housing the original Pho Bac location, it has been reopened with exceptional Vietnamese fried chicken and waffles. The restaurant shares the same parking lot as Pho Bac and is known for its garlic chicken and rice dish. Despite having a small menu, the food is flavorful and well-prepared.
This is a gem of a restaurant! Not your run of the Vietnamese pho and vermicelli spots, this place offers unique dishes. We tried the Com ga mam toi(comes with turmeric rice, salad and broth) and the mi tron(comes with "dry" peanut sauce noodles and broth) and had to get an order of the pandan waffles. The garlicky lightly fried Cornish hen was amazing, juicy sweet, and perfectly crispy. The rice and noodles both were delicious as well and the accompanied broth was well balanced and seasoned which felt like the cherry on top of an already loaded dish. The real showstopper was the panda waffles. O. M. G. this is destination food!!! Easily one of the top five things to eat in Seattle. The kinda thing when friends come in visit i will take them straight here. They were light and fluffy on the inside with perfect crispy buttery exterior. And the coconut cream sauce was another unexpectedly amazing thing to add to these waffles with a sweet but slight salty touch that pairs just right with waffles. I'm literally drooling writing this! If visiting Seattle... YOU HAVE TO EAT HERE!
Roam W — Google review
I had been curious about The Boat for a while and finally stopped by for dinner on a Friday night. The experience was a bit mixed for me. We ordered the Com Ga Mom Toi, which came with garlic Cornish hen, yellow rice, chrysanthemum salad, and chicken broth. The portion was generous and the presentation was nice, but the flavors didn’t really land for me. The hen was cooked well but was on the sweeter side, which just isn’t my preference. My partner liked it though, so it might come down to personal taste i guess. The chicken broth was decent, and the turmeric rice was fine as well. We also got a side of noodles with fried egg, but the noodles were a little tough. I ended up adding some broth to soften them, which helped. Somethings to consider from my experience - My water glass had something in it, and the server didn’t seem to notice or offer a replacement. The space is also pretty noisy with limited seating, so it’s not the most relaxing place to sit and eat. Overall, I’d say the vibe is very casual, but the attention to detail just wasn’t quite there for me.

My family and I visited on a Saturday around 12:30 p.m., and we were seated right away. Within about fifteen minutes, the restaurant quickly filled up, becoming lively and loud. Our food arrived in about 20 minutes. The portions were generous and the flavors were well-balanced. This restaurant specializes in chicken, so the menu is limited. A sign on the door states, "No pho served here."
Jo L — Google review
The food was great!! The chicken was delicious and flavorful. We ordered the noodle soup, dry noodles and the rice. The dry noodles were the best. But the wait was a little long with just two other groups in front of us. We came on Sunday for lunch and it took more than 20 mins for the food to arrive. The parking lot was full, so we needed to pay for parking nearby.
Vicky — Google review
Great place to get some chicken and rice or chicken with egg noodles soup. It's nice that the menu here is limited as they specialize in chicken. The Cornish hen was cooked perfectly with a great exterior crunch texture and a juicy interior. The place is nice and cozy and has a design shaped like a boat.
Charlie T — Google review
Many people love eating here, so we finally went to this restaurant. If someone said it was their favorite restaurant I would go, but no one in my family would choose to go here again for themselves. The food looks delicious, but the garlic tasted burnt on the chicken and it really needed some salt. The dessert had such potential, but the sugar tasted burnt and it was extremely salty and the pandan waffle had no flavor and tasted like burnt oil on the outside while not done in the middle. I think a different waffle maker style would help. I've never seen a Belgium waffle maker used for this before. The service was friendly and I really appreciated the EXCELLENT food safety rating from King County!
Jamie N — Google review
Why do you need to serve anything else when your garlic chicken is so dang good? We are over ordered and it was the best thing we ever did. We had enough food for two meals for two people. The garlic chicken and rice was fabulous but I think we like the dry noodles even better. The soup noodles had such a delicious rich broth, but I would not have put the garlic chicken in that broth less the flavor be washed off into the suit. The biggest surprise was how incredible the pond on waffles were with their coconut dipping. That was so rich. It tasted like straight up butter. Wow!! We called in for takeout because their pick up ordering online wasn’t working. Parking was a little bit of a situation, but since The Food was ready to go, we were able to double park just long enough.

King's Hardware, located in the Ballard neighborhood, is a lively and quirky pub known for its standard bar food and unique atmosphere. The interior features brick and wood trim adorned with taxidermy, creating a cozy and dimly-lit setting. The establishment offers a full menu of decent pub snacks including tater tots, chicken tenders, and cheeseburgers. Additionally, King's Hardware boasts a dog-friendly covered patio where patrons can enjoy their meals alongside their furry companions.
We went for Happy Hour on a rainy Sunday. It was low key, but the place had a cool vibe. The bartender was very nice and told us that the bar is pet friendly. It was also pretty cool how it was attached to the barber shop next door. Definitely a place to check out especially for Happy Hour.

King’s Hardware is a Ballard staple. It has been here a very long time. It’s an all American classic in so many great ways. The All American burgers is a must. Husband had the After School Special which consists of bacon and peanut butter and I had the classic burger. And these come with your choice of fries or tots. Service is great along with the food. My only complaint would be the noise level out in the back! But you can sit inside or out in front along the street and not subject yourself to noisy atmosphere.

Went last Saturday eve 1/11 during a Fry Crawl. Our server was super accommodating of our large group and really attentive to us even though it was so busy. S/T Hooligans is a lively local spot that offers a mix of Cajun and Southern dishes along with a full bar and a family-friendly outdoor seating area. The restaurant specializes in classic Creole and Southern comfort foods such as fried chicken, slow-roasted pork, and gumbo. It has gained recognition for its delicious burgers as well. One visitor particularly enjoyed the gumbo, noting that it was more like a hearty dish packed with various ingredients rather than just a soup.
The food is delicious! Absolutely love their Southern menu with Asian fusion influence. No other menu like theirs in Seattle. The atmosphere is more bar-like than restaurant. But food, hot honey, house-made hot sauces, fried chicken, corn bread waffle, hush puppies, and gumbo - loved it all! Will come back. Highly recommend!
Thuan H — Google review
They make their own cocktail mixers here and have a nice selection of drinks, with at least a dozen items on tap. The Moscow Mule was good, with an extra kick from their homemade ginger additive...I didn't know whether to call it a beer or syrup. Unfortunately our chicken was overcooked and lacked flavor... Please see photos and compare to others... If I had realized that the chicken isn't usually that dark I would have sent it back. The gumbo was solid, as was the lumpia appetizer, not the best but certainly good. Service was excellent, with lots of explanations of how things are done and great recommendations. Food was a 3 on this visit, but the service was so good... It raised my rating to a 4... I'm going to try them again.

Wow. The hype is real!!! ST Hooligans is absolutely incredible- the food is next level. NEXT LEVEL. Also it’s ran by some really friendly people. The menu has tons of options - so many you’ll need to come by a few times. I did the SpiSeattle and got a side of mashed potatoes- so delicious. The flavors are incredible and the portions are very generous. They have a great bar with wonderful cocktails too so don’t just focus on the food. But the food. Oh my god. Great handout spot! Lovely outdoor patio. Unfortunately i gotta say the food was OK. I tried to order the Jerk Chicken but was advised not to by the cashier, she said she is unable to eat it its so spicy and that she likes spicy food. TBH she was giving Sadness from the movie Inside Out vibes. She suggested i order the Seattle Spice one which was 0% NOT spicy AT ALL, on Thai food scale it’d be a 1 star if anything. The flavor was good, perhaps i just ordered the wrong thing or the chef was in the wrong mood & i should try again. My partner got the adobo pork sando and said it was also OK. Didn’t taste like much just meat sando.

Big Max Burger Co is a stylish, family-friendly restaurant located in the Queen Anne neighborhood of Seattle. Formerly known as Eden Hill Provisions, this spot offers a PNW-inspired menu with a focus on burgers made from dry-aged beef and topped with unique ingredients. The classic Big Max burger is a favorite, featuring two patties, lettuce, butter pickles, caramelized onion, smoked cheddar, house ketchup, and Max sauce on a buttery challah bun.
Solid burger: I especially like the crispy edges. Yummy straight thin crispy fries. The house sauce is tasty too. I like having a beer with my burger. Always too stuffed to try the desserts or shakes, but, one day! Aspirations!
Sofía S — Google review
Was really excited to try Big Max burger. Burgers were so crazy greasy I didn’t taste greasy, but the packaging was actually sopping wet from the grease. The patty itself is dry. The Sammy slider is truly tiny. The chicken nuggets were inedible. They were basically a little balls of grease and the breading was so soggy from the grease. It was so disgusting. Ample seating and there’s great parking underneath Bartels and the elevator opens right up into big Max. So so expensive. They charged crazy amounts to add simple things like two tiny pickle slices. So weird. Expect around $20 for a burger alone.
Julie W — Google review
A modern little spin on a certain golden arches restaurant. The Big Max Burger anyway is supposed to kind of be like a Big Mac minus the mini bun. Staff is friendly and helpful. Not much service as you order yourself and they just deliver the food. Take that as you will. But I enjoy quaint little burger spots. I got the small fries, "Big Mac" with bacon, and a triple chocolate shake. The burger has flavor but is overshadowed from the amount of chopped lettuce. Bacon was good but it isn't needed here. It's a decent little smash burger but flavor dissipated too soon. The fries and their seasoning are quite good. Star of the show and the shake isn't half bad. Not too chocolate-y. The price is Seattle prices. All this cost $34 with tip. So not a cheap eats. Burger 7/10 Fries 8/10 Shake 7/10 Overall 7/10⭐

I'm doing my best to try all of the burger spots in Seattle. This is in the upper middle of the pack. If I lived in Queen Anne it would probably be a quick weekend lunch place that I frequent. The big Max burger is a saucy mess but it has good flavor. The patties are smashed and managed to retain their crispiness despite all of the sauce. I'm never a fan of shoestring fries but these were at least seasoned well and come with a side of their max sauce. (Tangy, close to a thousand island). I also tried their brown butter cookie, id pass on that. Way too soft and fell apart while handling it. It's quite expensive, I spent around $30 with tip for my meal, but I did get a burger, fries, a drink and a cookie.

TLDR; really nice burgers for affordable prices. No soggy fries here! We came in for an early dinner on a weekday and were surprised to find it quite crowded. They do a decent amount so seating though, so finding a spot wasn’t too difficult. Between the two of us, we ordered the falafel burger, queen animal burger, small fries and a small chocolate shake. The burgers are really quite flavourful - I will say, however, that the falafel burger is quite tangy because of the labneh and kraut. The falafel patty inside is really nice though! My partner who had the queen animal said that the bacon was cooked really well and that this was the best burger he’s had in Seattle. The milkshake was a bit too sweet for my taste but still really good, and the fries are super crisp! Service is pretty quick here too. We got our food in less than 10 minutes after ordering.

Restaurant
Ma’ono Fried Chicken & Whisky is a must-visit spot for its unique twist on the classic chicken and waffles, featuring French toast topped with sausage gravy and whipped cream. The menu offers tempting options like corned beef hash, croque madame, and the Loco Moco. This Hawaiian joint also serves up one of the best fried chicken sandwiches around.
I was surprised by how good this was! The chicken is crispy, moist and full of flavors. The restursnt stays open late, relatively to other U Village resturants which is fantastic. The service and staff were helpful, kind, welcoming and awesome to interact with. The "Extra Hot" version is extremely hot, even for us, Hot flavor lovers. I loved it, but be cautious. It is strange how the restaurant is located inside Ginger Beers, but those drinks goes well with the chicken. Our order took around 15-20 minutes to be ready.
Moaid H — Google review
One of the top fried chicken sandwiches in town. Certainly my favorite. A small shop nestled within another shop Ma’ono focuses on chicken and does it right. The main dish is the fried chicken sandwich and it’s great. I can’t think of a better one in the city. I’ve tried a couple of the spice levels and they all came out perfect. Tasty breading and good use of spice. Not just hot for the sake of hot. Sauce balances things well. They have just a few other food options, so chicken is the point. I’ve tried the fries and they were quite good as well, so I’m confident their other sides would be nice. The price is premium. It’s a bit high for a chicken sandwich. But I say it’s worth it. Plus, the portion size is noticeably bigger than you’d get at a fast food chain. The price is worth noting, but I don’t think you’ll be disappointed if you go for it. If you dine in person it’s a shared space with Rachel’s Ginger Beer. Gives you a great opportunity to add a tasty beverage. There’s a decent amount of dining space, open to the outside. But it may fill up on busy days. Luckily, there’s nearby tables to take your food if you need to. If you’d like an extra special chicken sandwich, this is the place to look.

I want to not like the chicken sandwich but it was absolutely delicious. With a price tag of over $17 after tax, before tip, its hard to really enjoy, but it was very tasty. The spices were on point, the flavors matched each other well. The potato bun was a perfect feel to match the taste of the insides, it was soft and fluffy and a great pairing.

A bit strange and hidden inside the beer place so it’s difficult to find. The food however is very good. Probably one of the better chicken sandwiches in Seattle. Pickles are good, mac and kimcheese was teary. Love the Asian twist on things. Decent portions. Would come back.

Only been there once. Heard about it, thinking I wouldn't end up in this pedestrian friendly, auto hostile mall. We happened to be shopping for a stock pot, and dropped in for 'lunch.' We had 3 pieces of Chicken Tenders, 3 Drumsticks, with sides of cucumber poke and Potato Mac. A tad spendy, but we will eat on this twice. Excellent fried chicken, fine sides (worth sampling more), killer BBQ dipping sauce, solid Honey Mustard. The pickled Daikon are marvelous. Cafeteria style inside Rachel's Ginger Beer, who seem to serve a lot of ice cream in September. If you are in the 'hood, and paid your patience tax to park...

THE BEST CHICKEN SANDWICH Quick summary: chicken sandwich was 10/10 amazing, fries great, service OK, ambiance: great vibes. So I was visiting from Nashville and I'm a native Memphian so I'm picky when it comes to chicken sandwiches. This chicken sandwich was amazing. It was actually in my head just pretty good then I started dipping it in the house made ranch and it changed the game. Best ranch l've ever had in my life. My wife tried the Hot version and I had the Medium. Both of them were mildly spicy but that is relative. The fries were very well seasoned and good! There is indoor and outdoor seating. There's a beautiful view of the area outside and great people watching. One thing that was confusing, was that it's actually sharing its building with Rachel's Ginger Beer - you can grab a drink with your meal! The service is also pretty good. Friendly Definitely recommend!

Greet fried chicken in Seattle. Pretty unique profile and flavor. Chicken is generously seasoned and is spicier than anticipated. The fingers are pretty big in size and the texture is really nice. Honey mustard sauce actually has mustard flavor in it, so beware. But if you're the brave one it will become your favorite spot for a fried chicken.
Egor — Google review
I've always wanted to try Ma'ono! So glad we did! We were having a real fried chicken craving and decided to check out this location. At first we were a little confused because all our eyes could see was the big Ginger beer menu, then looked to the right and there it was! A tiny window for decadent fried goodies. We got the chicken sandwich and the drumsticks (hot) with an order of French fries. We grabbed our order # and enjoyed a blueberry bourbon ginger beer cocktail (very refreshing). The food was delicious! Chicken was crispy, very hot and very spicey. Seasoned to perfection. Three fries were crisp and lightly seasoned. I only wish we had a vegetable side. Only complaint is that the music was very loud, hence people were also speaking very loudly in there and all that noise made the experience less enjoyable.

Restaurant
ESR Pop-Ups @ Bramling Cross is a lively gastropub located in the Ballard neighborhood, offering a variety of food and emphasizing sandwiches. The pub has a decently sized menu with generous portions at reasonable prices. Guests can enjoy well-poured drinks served by friendly staff in a charming indoor and outdoor seating area. While parking may be limited, the festive atmosphere and high-quality meals make it worth the visit. The wagyu meatball sandwich comes highly recommended.
Updated: still an awesome place for gatherings with friends or family. My previous review was posted 2 years ago and still one of the best places to grab a bite with friends and family. I got the double jeopardy burger special and it was fantastic. Bring your appetite. I didn't order any appetizers this time. But I was really full. 2 years ago: Amazing Ethan Stowell restaurant. You must have the Osso Bucco and the Dynamite chicken. Absolutely amazing and a generous portion. The fried chicken is a whole chicken so it is great for sharing. The rest of the menu does not disappoint. The other starters I have had are all very good. My favorite was the crab dip and the chicken liver patte. I have visited this restaurant several times and my experience was great every time. Great restaurant for a date or large groups. Nice selection of beer and wine. Ask your server for recommendations. They are very knowledgeable. Bring your appetite!!

Bramling Cross is a local restaurant in Ballard that has a mix of food, with an emphasis on sandwiches. They have a decent sized menu and prices are decent but portions are pretty big. Their drinks are poured very well, their staff is friendly and they have a good amount of seating inside and outside. There is very little parking around here, so be prepared to walk, and they do close earlier in the night so make sure to arrive in the early evening. Their wagyu meatball sandwich is amazing!
Matt P — Google review
Bramling Cross is an upbeat and festive gastropub. The definition of a gastropub is "a pub that specializes in serving high-quality food." Well, that's exactly what you can expect here. We have had a number of wonderful meals and drinks at this Ballard hot spot. Just the other night we had a great holiday meal that included cod and a rib eye steak. And, to top it off, we had the bartender's recommendation, "Merry & Mischief," a light scotch drink with just the right balance of sweetness. Bravo! The atmosphere is upbeat. The service is exceptional.

Bottom line up front: Another great Ethan Stowell restaurant that combines the best of many worlds from homemade pasta to bar food snacks to southern fried chicken. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great restaurant and great menu. Good selection of cocktails and beer. Big space, but limited seating that can fill up quite quickly during happy hours and weekends. The food is diverse. You can snack on bar food from pretzels, wings, and fries, etc. You can have a nice piece of grilled coho or chicken. You can sample Ethan Stowell's homemade pappardelle. The options are endless which makes this place great. The most impressive option, however, is the dynamite chicken. This stuff was money. I 100% recommend getting this with the biscuit it's served with. I also got it spicy and got a side of honey to dip in. The combo was incredible. Plenty of options for anyone you choose to bring here. Would definitely recommend this place!

The Pinchy Bois pop up was fun - a warm and tasty buttered lobster roll with Old Bay seasoned french fries and a celery aoli. Good to see Ballard Avenue coming back to life!

Gastro pub = smart, well executed food in some fancy digs where you want to hang out for a long time. All that is served up with excellent, unpretentious service. Totally recommend.

Some of the best fried chicken in Seattle. The kitchen consistently produces high quality, ultra fresh dishes. Very impressed with the quality and consistency, a big recommendation from me.

Chinese restaurant
Gan Bei Eatery and Bar is a hidden gem in the ID, offering amazing food and a friendly atmosphere. The menu may be short, but every dish is executed exceptionally well. The freshwater eel claypot rice and hand shredded chicken are authentic Cantonese dishes with fresh, premium ingredients. The bar offers delicious cocktails like the mandarin breeze, which perfectly captures the taste of their aromatic house tea.
Love this little eatery here in the ID. This place has the best Chow Fun noodles. Yes, I said it, the BEST in Chinatown. Also the fried chicken and gravy is really good too. I’ve came here before too, they handmade the wontons, the spicy wontons is very good as well. Come in on the right night, they’ll also have karaoke. This place is also can be very crowded but don’t let it stop you from grabbing a bite and chat and sing with some friendly people.
Savya T — Google review
We ordered the fried calamari, 1 leg 1 thigh chicken dinner, and shredded garlic chicken entree. The food was rather disappointing - calamari was over salted, and both the chicken mains were on the bland side given we were expecting a punch of Chinese flavors. Perhaps it’s just not for my taste. The ambience is nice though - compact, cozy, and laidback. The bar seating especially looked fun.
Gaurav V — Google review
Fantastic food! Highly recommend the chow fen and someone from the daily special menu! We got the kimchi bacon fried rice and it was delicious! Lively atmosphere, 21+ only. It was pretty busy and they were understaffed so service could be better but that didn’t take away from the fantastic food.
Erich — Google review
Super friendly owners/staff and amazing food! The size of the wings was impressive, the calamari seemed unending, the sticky fried rice had an abundance of flavor and ingredients, and the pea vine was really tender! The taste of their aromatic house tea really came through in the mandarin breeze cocktail. Oh, and they also have a dangerously yummy lemon drop shot that is a must try! We’ll be back soon for sure, thank you Gan Bei for making it such a wonderful and memorable experience =)
Victoria C — Google review
If you are one of those people who honor and enjoy the millennial (not millenary) tradition of baseball and Chinese food, this restaurant might not be your place. We waited 20 minutes for food because "they lost our order". They brought some tequila shots as an apology, which we appreciated the gesture, but thought it was weird that a restaurant called Gan Bei would advocate gan bei with a non-Chinese drink. We were expecting sake or something made with rice fermentation. On top of that, I thought the food was average, too salty, and drenched in sauce. The karaoke was loud, but there were a few people who sang pretty well.
Enrique M — Google review
The food here is great! I like everything I ordered! They have a digital full menu which is not a lot of options but enough for me to choose things I want. They made the food after ordering so it is fresh and hot, but take a bit of time. The surroundings there is cozy and friendly, very small place but decorated well. Great place for after work gatherings. Street parking available around.

It's a dive bar with great service and amazing food. The flavors reminded me of Singapore. Their xo green beans were straight up delicious. I loved the chow fan. Even the fried chicken was great.
T F — Google review
The food is authentic but very salty. We even asked the restaurant to use less salt (per their recommendation on the shredded chicken dish) on all dishes but the food still came out very salty. Good vibe with all kinds of people and cozy atmosphere.

Sandwich shop
Slab Sandwich is a popular sandwich shop located near the renowned Lark restaurant. The cozy counter-serve space offers a variety of inventive sandwiches and pies, including options like short rib meat pies, English muffin breakfast sandwiches, and gluten-free flatbread. The Spanish sardine sandwich is highly recommended for its flavorful combination of meaty fish and piperade on a soft French roll. Additionally, the shop serves various pies with offerings like caramel apple pie between layers of buttery pie crust.
Ever since Scratch on 12th closed down I’ve been on the hunt for place that makes sandwiches as good as they did, and I think I finally found it. Much like Scratch, the sandwiches seem a bit small at first, but one bite and…omg the flavors. It’s well balanced, and by the time you’re done you’re full because the meat portions are juicy and generous. It passes my Chipotle test - worth the flavor and not leaving me hungry with a list price around $15. I plan to try every sandwich they have, but the two I’ve gotten to were excellent. Thick, juicy meat, balanced and flavorful sauces and other items, and soft bread that completes the taste and feel. I even got a free cookie. I’m not much of fan of cookies, but this one continued the trend of being well balanced (and well salted), and everyone I shared it with enjoyed it. The shop itself it just a counter and a drink fridge, no real place to sit. It works, it’s nice, but plan to take it to go. I will be back here as often as I can, tho probably not as often as I’d like as they’re only open for lunch.

Absolutely delicious Cubano sandwich. Highly highly recommend. Cool spot connected to a restaurant where they allow you to dine at the bar. Kind employee. But the sandwich was so so so good.

The young man who served us today was so welcoming and polite, great service. 10/10 for service, this business is lucky to have him. The sandwich and fries were delicious. Indoor and a little outdoor seating. Bathrooms were clean. Will be back for sure.

I’ve been coming here for a couple years now, as the old location used to be across from my workplace. Fortunately, their new location is just a 5 minute walk away! My favorite thing here is the brisket sandwich. I love how juicy it is with the sauce, peppers, and marinated brisket. It’s just so yummy! There used to be a cashier that was the absolute sweetest to me, who always included a salted chocolate chip cookie with my order. Even now, without that particular person, I can tell their customer service is excellent & attentive. If you need a quick lunch during your work break, they’re super quick with the sandwiches, too! There’s something special about a good sandwich — so simple, few ingredients / toppings, and yet, so filling & delicious. Will continue to come back, again & again. Appreciate y’all at Slab! 🥪
Raychelle D — Google review
It’s a great place for sandwiches with seating inside the beautiful Lark restaurant. We went on a cold Saturday around 1230 and we’re easily able to grab a seat. The fried chicken sandwich is delicious as is the burrata salad. Kids and adults enjoyed it. It was fun to sit at the window and stay warm while enjoying good food.
Aidan M — Google review
These are some of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten. They grill the inside of the bread so it's crispy and a little burnt, leaving the outside bread soft and somewhat chewy but not dense. Honestly best sandwiches ever. We tried them all even the burrata sandwich which can be very boring was delicious. Yummy balsamic vinegar, scrumptious mozzarella fresh basil. Just yummy! The Cubano is fantastic! The pork is roasted, soft, not try at all, with the pickles...yum! The service is great. Recommendations are perfect. The atmosphere is very simple nothing special but the fantastic food makes up for that.

WARNING: AFTER READING THIS REVIEW YOU WILL WANT SLAB TO CATER EVERY FUTURE EVENT! Updating to include about my AMAZING catering experience with Slab for my graduation party! As a big fan of their sandwiches, I was delighted to hear that they offered sandwich platters. I worked with Allison from start to finish and having nothing but kind words to share about Slab's customer service. I ordered sandwiches for 50 people and the portions are so great that we had several leftovers (aka hangover cure ). Each sandwich was cut in half and wrapped on the platter. They took such special care to label each sandwich type and even separated the vegetarian options which made it so easy for my friends. All of the guests were raving about the sandwiches throughout the party! They accommodated my party time even though it was outside regular business hours and every member of the staff congratulated me when I picked them up Thanks for making my day so special! All of the sandwiches are made of leftover meat from Lark. The bread is crispy and the meat is juicy- a hard balance to perfect. My partner got it for lunch yesterday & insisted we get it again today for me to try. We split the Cubano sandwich & the Brisket sandwich. Our order was ready within 15 minutes of the phone call! I also saw on their website they offer platters. This would be the perfect place to cater a party that pleases all! We will definitely be back.

Restaurant
Mangosteen Boba Bar in Seattle is a delightful spot located in the boat-shaped building where it all began. The menu offers an eclectic mix of items, including garlic noodles, waffle fries, sandwiches with coriander-rubbed brisket, and amazing wings with a choice of sauces. Visitors can also create their own sweet tea drinks. The place is known for its tasty wings and moist brisket, along with delicious coffee and boba drinks served in cute compostable cups.
Boba Bar was absolutely AMAZING! SUPER tasty wings with that perfect crunch, the brisket was so moist with a lovely flavor, and the coffeeeeee!!! Can't emphasize it enough on how good it all was! Super cute cups, and the boba looks like a hit too! 5 out of 5, hands down, must check it out! Located in the old Pho Bac boat, with a walk up window on the side! A hidden gem for sure.👌 (ANDDDD the cups are compostable!🙌)

The hype is real. Best chicken sandwich in the state and worth every bit of the $15 price. Waffle fries are also great. Coleslaw was disappointing but I blame myself for not getting the fries. Don't make my mistake, just get the fries.
Alex — Google review
Ordered the chicken wings before and they’re delicious and a good size, not small. They have a 4 choices of sauces I think which isn’t the best but they’re good and self made. This sandwich wasn’t the best thing a bit dry. But the fries were good. It’s on the expensive side, prob because of the generous sizes. Then you can make your own tea drink make sure to make it sweet. Overall the the place is nice to visit something different.

Tien is great! I could not make up my mind and she was really patient, helpful and pleasant! Even the guys in the back are nice. Asking if I have been helped! Thank you! We will definitely be back! The boba container is convenient for traveling definitely sets it apart from other boba/tea places! You can stock your fridge with all these goodies! Definitely deserves more than 5 stars!
Dior E — Google review
Came here for the beverages, walked away with a delicious dessert as well. Google Maps states that the boba bar is located in Pho Bac, but there’s 2 buildings with the same name; you’re going to want to go to the smaller red building for boba. I didn’t mean get seated with the other side but it worked out as I got pho + boba (we got our drinks and then walked over to get our lunch). Their parking lot is very small and crowded, but I was able to find parking at other shops nearby.
Jiana S — Google review
Seen this place on tik tok and had to try it. Wings was amazing with the double crunch, the garlic noodles awesomeness and the Boba tea was amazing. Definitely worth the trip from Tacoma.

Boba Bar has such a cool concept of adding your drink into a can! The yeti (blended lychee) was delicious and I love how they use real lychee not artificial syrups.

I’ve been gone to Mangosteen a few times and I’m hooked. I happened to notice it completely by accident while driving by because I saw the word “Mangosteen” and thought they sold actual mangosteens! But alas, they do not. I always order their wings with KFC and Mangosteen sauce, they are flavorful and crispy. I’ve tried both the chicken sando and the brisket sandwich and I felt like the brisket sandwich was a little too greasy and heavy for me but they’re both still delicious. For drinks, I am obsessed with their boba bar coffee and I get it every time! You can customize the sweetness. The super mango drink is also great and it hits the spot on a hot summer day. I’ve also tried the mango fruit tea with boba. They were out of cups so we got a bag, which I felt was a little inconvenient if you want to drink some on the go. It was pretty good but I’ve had better boba fruit teas at other places. In summary, I love this place for their amazing food and their awesome service. The people who work there are sweet and prompt. I’ve only gotten take out there (even though they have a few tables outside) and they package everything carefully and with thought. My only gripe with this place is their parking situation, they share a lot with a Pho Bac and it’s a mess. There are maybe 10 parking spots and it’s difficult to enter and get out of at busy times. I’ve learned that you should just order online and swing by to pick up.
