Dumpling restaurant
Din Tai Fung, a renowned restaurant originally from Taipei, Taiwan, has made its mark in Seattle with two locations. Established as a cooking oil retail shop in 1958 before evolving into a full-fledged restaurant in 1972, it is celebrated for its soup dumplings and noodles.
The food here was absolutely delicious, and the ambience was excellent. The restaurant is located on the top floor of the mall, which makes it a nice spot. Even with a reservation, we had to wait about 5–10 minutes to be seated since it was quite busy. The service was decent given how crowded it was. We ordered a variety of dishes and drinks, and everything we tried was tasty. The highlight for me was definitely the chocolate momo — a must-try!

Recommend the cucumber appetizer. Very crunchy with a subtle flavor. Great way to start. Always get the string beans, slight garlic flavor with just the right amount of salt. Cooked but stays crunchy. The dim sum was also great. This place never disappoints with the food and outstanding service!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🥟✨ Din Tai Fung — Seattle Magic in Every Bite! ✨🥢 From the very first bite, this meal was pure dumpling heaven! 😍 The Kurobuta Pork Xiao Long Bao and Chicken Xiao Long Bao were piping hot, bursting with rich, delicate broth, and folded with perfection 💦🫶🏽 — a true taste of craftsmanship and tradition. The Garlic String Beans were crisp, flavorful, and felt like the healthiest kind of indulgence 🥦💚 — the perfect balance beside those juicy dumplings. But the real MVP? 🏆 The Pork Chop Fried Rice — flawlessly seasoned, golden, and fluffy with just the right amount of egg 🍳✨ The pork chops were cooked to perfection — tender, juicy, and bursting with umami. 🍸 I stepped out of my comfort zone with the Pear Lychee Martini — light, refreshing, and beautiful — and yes, it even gave a happy buzz! 🍐💫 Their Signature Old Fashioned was smooth, balanced, and the ideal pairing for this luxurious meal 🥃🔥 🍫 For dessert, the Chocolate & Matcha Dumplings were divine — rich chocolate wrapped in a soft mochi hug, finished with a touch of matcha for a sweet, grounding end 💚🍵 Absolute bliss. 💬 Huge shout-out to Mathew, our server — knowledgeable, kind, and clearly passionate about the menu. He’s been with Din Tai Fung for 4 years and guided us perfectly 🙌🏽 ♿️ Accessibility was seamless — parking garage ($12) leave early and place your name on the waitlist, and restrooms are wheelchair-friendly. 👨‍👩‍👧 Kid-friendly, too! Whether you’re here for date night, business meetings, or a family dinner, the modern-sleek atmosphere makes it all feel special 💎 🚌 Located near University Village — easy to reach by bus or car, and perfect to pair with a movie or shopping trip 🎬🛍️ This is where culture, craftsmanship, and comfort collide. A must-visit spot in Seattle’s food scene 🌆💫 #DinTaiFung #SeattleEats #LocalGuide #SoupDumplings #XiaoLongBao #PorkChopFriedRice #MatchaDessert #FoodieHeaven #AsianCuisine #SeattleRestaurants #InfluencerEats #LuxuryDining #TravelEats #SeattleFoodScene #ColumbiaCityNeighbor #BrainAndBodyRecessNeighbor #SupportLocal #FoodLover #GlobalEats #WheelchairAccessible #FamilyFriendlyDining #ModernAsianVibes #LycheeMartini #OldFashionedLovers #SeattleDateNight #TasteTheWorld #FiveStarEats #RestHealLeadRepeat

Everything is perfect. We went for a team lunch, and every item was perfect. The highlight was the spicy chicken wontons. We ordered string garlic beans, chicken fried rice, shrimp fried rice, chicken noodles, shrimp noodles, rice cakes, and vegan fried rice, all of which were very good. Our team enjoyed each and every dish. The drinks are great. I ordered honey lemon tea with boba, which is good. In the desserts section, we had chocolate mochi and shaved snow with fresh mango. Both were delicious.

Im editing my review. 2nd time around was flawless. Our server, Ryder, so amazing. Spoke very clear and loud, great young gentleman! It was very busy this evening with homecoming and you couldn't even tell. We got the same dishes plus noodles, cucumber salad and tried the sesame dumplings this time for dessert. We prefer the taro but they were still really good. Drinks were so amazing and not watered down. Can't wait to visit again. Food was really great, definitely will visit here again. The only thing that bugged me about this place was that the waitresses did not speak up. It was a little loud since the tables are close together and they spoke so incredibly soft we could here what they were saying and asked them to repeat multiple times. Also, when sitting down the food, they didnt say what it was. Some things are obvious but the dumplings arnt. They just sat it down and left.. so my friends and I had to guess who's food it was. Otherwise its was nice and we will visit again. Hopefully with a better service experience.

Came here for lunch solo on a random Wednesday and had lovely service and fantastic food. We don't have Din Thai Fung where I reside so I love getting it when I travel. The staff at this location were very courteous and attentive. I particularly appreciate the conversation I had about potential new drinks I could try. I ate all my leftovers in my hotel room for dinner after 3 glasses of a new sour I found at a local lounge - 10/10 would highly recommend.
Mikaila Z — Google review
We had lunch here in May 2025 and really enjoyed it. It’s a great spot if you like sharing dishes. The menu features small plates, but they’re satisfying—perfect for ordering a few per person and sharing everything. There were four of us, and we shared five dishes: soup dumplings, spicy wontons, green beans, beef noodles, and chicken fried rice. It was just the right amount of food for our group. I recommend starting with a few plates and ordering more if you’re still hungry. The flavors were delicious, and the sharing-style setup made the meal even more enjoyable.
Alfredo O — Google review
I liked the overall tastes of the foods here, but probably not going to revisit this specific location of Din Tai Fung cause parking around here is really a headache (they don’t do validation), seeing this entire shopping mall empty from the 1st floor just makes me feel little off, and the staffs here appeared very slow and inefficient. My party’s server from my last visit was actually busier spending more time flurting with one bartender. -Xaio Long Bao had flavorful soup in it but I hoped it was little bigger with more soup as what it usually is in NYC’s chinatown. -Xaio Long Bao with chocolate in it was very interesting and I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Chocolate in there was thick and liquid enough so worked pretty well with dumpling dough. -Stirred cabage appetizer was my fav from the last visit, mostly cause I had zero expectation for it. It seemed stirred with sesame oil and garlic, so overall lightly savory flavor with gorgeously appetizing smell. -Fried pork chop soup noodle was great too. The pork chop was fried with very light batter, so worked out pretty well and flavorful with soup and noodle overall.

Dough Zone™ Dumpling House, a popular Eastside chainlet, has finally made its way to Seattle with two locations in the 206 area. The minimalist and light-filled spaces at Publix Hotel and Ninth and Pine offer a delightful dining experience. Known for their xiao long bao filled with pork, crab, or chicken, the restaurant also serves crispy-bottomed Q bao and dan dan noodles.
PLEASE GO HERE!!! This place was the best food we’ve had in the city. Wait at 6:40ish was less than 10 minutes despite the place being super busy. You mark what you want on the slip of paper that staff then comes and checks over with you for allergens. We were slightly worried we had ordered too much, but the portions were sized perfectly! Not the usual American sizing where we have gotten used to way too much food for one meal. Split the scallion pancakes, Yibin noodles, veggie wontons, and chicken dumplings between two. WOW. Everything was incredible, but a special shoutout to the noodles for the incredible flavors in the sauce. We quite literally used the leftover sauce for our other foods. The wontons and dumplings were so juicy as well! Fun to have pancakes that were flakier than most. Insane plating and overall time. Wow. Want to go back already.
Molly N — Google review
We tried several dishes at Dough Zone, and I have to say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The Sweet & Sour Cucumber was hands down my favorite—crunchy, fresh, and the perfect way to start the meal. The Vegetable Potstickers were okay, not the standout of the evening but still decent. The Pan Fried Pork Buns were perfectly steamed and had a great balance of flavor. I also loved the Green Onion Pancake—crispy, flaky, and delicious. We ended our dinner with the Dan Dan Noodles, which were absolutely perfect—warm, comforting, and flavorful, tying the whole experience together beautifully. Despite the restaurant being jam-packed due to an event at the convention center, the food was impressively fresh and flavorful. The service was fast, the staff was polite and attentive, and the prices were super reasonable. I’m already looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommended!
Wanderlust — Google review
The food was delicious. We ordered more than in the pictures. The sweet and sour cucumber was very refreshing and potstickers had a unique touch of crispiness (missed pictures). The soup dumplings are a must have. I must admit the wait was longer but it was worth it. Make sure you sign up for dine in before waiting in the queue outside.
Bhagyashri S — Google review
Anytime I work at the Seattle Convention Center Summit building, I make a point to eat at Dough Zone for lunch or dinner. I have my favorite menu items which are steamed chicken dumplings, green onion pancakes and the very addictive ube milk tea. I have tried several of their other items and everything here is just delicious. You cannot go wrong dining here.
G P — Google review
Delicious! If you’re obsessed with dumplings like my family, you will love this place, especially if you do not eat pork. We had ALL of their variety of chicken dumplings, from soup dumplings to pan fried to wontons. Cucumber is good although I like it better in pieces instead of slices. Onion pancakes are nice and crispy.
Kathy G — Google review
We didn’t eat in and unfortunately I feel like this a restaurant that it’s better to dine in than order out. The flavor was there, but we got them cold and no sauce to dip the dumplings. We also order with chili sauce and that was surprisingly dry too! It did its job. Do not recommend ordering out.
Isabel P — Google review
This is an incredibly popular restaurant near the convention center. Considering the crowds, I was impressed by how quickly they seated people and how quickly the food came out in stages. Everything is done family style. We actually started with dessert, banana crepes, which was fun and awesome. Food kept flowing in from there, several kinds of dumpling, bao, kale salad, and beef wraps. Everything was good, and was an incredibly nice buy for the money.
Beth C — Google review
We were a large group that had just finished the dragon boat race, so we were so hungry and tired, and basically ordered most of the items on the menu! House Specials: We had Green Onion Pancake, Spicy Beef Pancake Roll, Pan-Fried Chive Dumplings, Braised Pig Ears, and Spicy Beef Shank. The green onion pancake was not greasy, but flavor-wise, it tasted a bit plain. The pan-fried chive dumplings tasted good, but their fried egg mixed with chives was mushy, which made the texture slightly off. The pig ear and beef shank were both really good. I would recommend these two as appetizers. Soup dumplings: We got pork XLB, pork & crab meat XLB, and chicken XLB, all of them were tasty, I do wish they had more soup inside though. Dumplings: We had chicken, pork & shrimp potstickers, and chicken steamed dumplings. The potstickers were alright, I would say the steamed dumplings tasted just ok. Wontons: The pork wontons in chili sauce, which taste really good with a nice spicy kick! And we had sweet and sour cucumber as the palate cleanser to freshen up our palate. Noodles: We tried hot & sour glass noodles, dan dan noodles, green onion soy sauce noodles, yibin noodles, and spicy mala noodles. I would recommend Yibin noodles, which are flavorful and spicy. The dan dan noodles tasted great too!

Cocktail bar
Russian restaurant
Korochka Tavern is a charming Russian bar that offers a blend of Eastern European nibbles and American-style cocktails. The cozy, rustic ambiance is adorned with retro touches like gilded wallpaper and floral dishware. Originally located in Lake City, the tavern was forced to relocate to Wallingford in 2019 but has since settled into its new home. Owners Lisa Malinovskaya and Kendall Murphy draw inspiration from Moscow, infusing the bar with old-world charm.
Who knew that beet infused vodka could be so delish! I love the Lenin Drop Beet cocktail! It is best at first when it is really cold before the tiny ice crystals melt. Also the borscht is one of the best I have tasted. It comes out steaming hot. The beef broth, beef stew meat hunks, shredded cabbage and shredded beets are perfect. It seems to have just a hint of clove spice and black pepper. The video has a picture of the steam rising from the borscht soup. The bartenders are very kind. Overall, this is a fine place to start an evening or unwind after a long day.
C C — Google review
This place has, hands down, the best piroshki I've eaten in Seattle. They're beautiful and the cream and added condiments completely change their flavour profile. Plus, they serve it in these big thick bowls so the dumplings stay warm longer, enabling you to enjoy it. You go here for the food, not service- and that's what docked a star. I got no water, and for cutlery- only got a fork, no spoon or knife; and between getting my food and me paying up, I didn't find anyone whom I could ask for either. Still, the food here is amazing. I strongly recommend giving this place a shot if you're in the area.
Arihan J — Google review
A great little neighborhood Russian themed tavern with well conceived, versatile food options. The borscht is a perfect light super on a cold night and piroshki is a nice light snack. They also have a nice variety of picked veggie sides. If you're more hungry combining them makes a fuller meal. The honey cake is a great, filling desert if you have room. The drink options are mostly creative, excellent cocktails, some containing house-made beet vodka. The 'bonfire' is my favorite but they're all great. The horseradish vodka is also great, usually served as a shot on its own. Also ample non-alcoholic options and a few brews on tap. The staff are consistently great. Very friendly, attentive and efficient. They're happy to discuss the menu and make suggestions. It's the best kind of hole-in-the-wall; a small, darkly-warm cozy space. Sometimes it's crowded and somewhat noisy. This is the only minor downside I can think of.
Alan K — Google review
Have only had the food on a few occasions but I know from the infused vodka that they are doing some authentic food/drink medicine here. I would say that it is a more drink forward establishment than food; yet the curated selection embellishes your mood or craving. Will definitely sink the nail if you know what your hankering for, but at the same time won't drown you in options. They do their adventuring to find you the secret flavor you have yet experienced, so try em out!
Henry S — Google review
Amazing neighborhood bar with excellent dumplings and pickled stuff. Cocktails are unique and well balanced. 100% worth a visit, or 2 or 3 or... Our go to before a show at the Seamonster. Also a good way to support female owned business.
Stacy ( — Google review
The beet vodka is a must try! We had the restaurant week menu which comes with a set of pickled veggies, bread, dumplings and dessert. The pickles are refreshing - liked the beets and carrots. The dumplings are acquired taste. The honey cake was simply too sweet.
Connie C — Google review
Oh, boy! Korocha Tavern is a wonderful little bar/restaurant in Wallingford that my partner and I finally discovered! We decided to give it a try, and were we in for a treat! 🌟 First, the cold borscht was so refreshing for the summer - a perfect choice! The pickled cabbage and cucumbers added a nice crunchy and acidic texture and taste to the mouthwatering Vareneki, and the Russian sour cream was simply delicious! Can you imagine Russian dumplings without it? 😋 We also tried the chicken piroshky, and it was a tasty delight! But let me tell you about the star of the show - the Lenin Drop cocktail! It had beet-infused vodka, fresh lemon juice, and simple syrup, and holy cow, it’s easily the best drink I’ve had this year! 🍹 Also, let’s not forget about the super nice bartender with those sweet bangs and hair - a true bonus to the already fantastic experience! Super friendly and welcoming! Last but not least, the honey cake was out-of-this-world good! I’ve been to other Russian restaurants in Washington, but Korocha Tavern takes the cake (literally!) for the best honey cake! If you’re up for a delicious and fun time, make sure to visit Korocha Tavern. You won’t regret it! Trust me, the Lenin Drop will make your taste buds dance, and their honey cake will leave you saying “thank you” for days! 🌺 We ordered: Potato and cheese Vareneki 🥟 Pickled cabbage 🥬 Pickles cucumbers 🥒 Cold summer borscht 🥣 Piroshky 🥖 The Lenin Drop 🍹 Honey cake 🍯 🍰

After a couple of drinks in Belltown a block from home, I ubered to Karochka Tavern in Wallingford, craving vodka and dumplings. Karochka Tavern always delivers. The good cheer, horseradish vodka, and amazing food forces me to wiggle my toes with pleasure. If Karochka Tavern was in Belltown, my perspiration at the gym would get fill the space with the aroma of horseradish, vodka, and pierogi. That’s better than Right Guard! Karochka Tavern is one of the best bars in Seattle.

Dumpling restaurant

Hunan restaurant
Mount & Bao, established in 2019 by Jiegang Zhou, has swiftly become a popular destination for dumpling enthusiasts in Seattle. The restaurant offers a variety of delectable options such as wontons, potstickers, and hand-pulled noodles. Despite its unassuming exterior, the establishment is highly recommended for its delicious handmade dumplings and attentive service. Additionally, patrons have praised the surprise longevity noodle dish provided for special occasions and the availability of dim sum.
We came here after the Lake City Summer Festival parade yesterday — it was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a delicious meal. I’ve been here before and loved the grilled live tilapia. This time we tried the Boiling Fish, beef brisket, and green peppercorn chicken — everything was flavorful and well-prepared. The owner’s family was also helping out with serving, cashiering, and cleaning, which gave the place a really warm, homey feeling. A great experience as always!
Wei Y — Google review
We recently visited Mount & Bao and left with mixed impressions. To start, we tried the Hot and Sour Soup, which, while offering familiar flavors, stood out for its generous portion size at just $3.99. It was a satisfying and value-packed appetizer. For the main course, we opted for two combo plates—one with Sesame Chicken and another with General Tso's Chicken. Unfortunately, despite being different dishes, they were visually indistinguishable and tasted almost identical. The flavors were mild, and while they weren’t unpleasant, they didn’t leave a memorable impression either—just average. The service was generally good, though the ordering process might not suit everyone. Orders are placed using a QR code on your phone, which some might find a bit confusing or cumbersome. In summary, Mount & Bao is an option if you’re looking for value and convenience, but the overall dining experience was underwhelming in terms of flavor and uniqueness.

My wife and I were really hoping for some good Chinese food. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. We should have known considering they had an “OK” rating from the health department plastered on the window. Something was just off with the taste, except for the deep fried green beans and the orange soda which were delicious. And our spring rolls were cold in the inside. The place was packed though so maybe it was just us.
Dre C — Google review
This place is fantastic, I went alone but wish I’d brought friends! I got the pork xiao long bao and they’re big with lots of soup, a very clean tasting pork flavor. The chili beef was perfectly spiced and great if you want mala flavor. I also go the Dan Dan noodles and forgot to take a picture before I started eating, but the portion is huge - they literally served it in a pie plate. You order from the QR code and website so service is really unobtrusive. Highly recommend!
Hattie Y — Google review
It's appetizing to look at it, and it tastes great. Bamboo shoots bacon, chewy with authentic bacon flavor. Perilla fish is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I ordered medium-spicy, which is quite suitable for my taste. Scallion roll is also a good noodle. Thank!!!
Tie H — Google review
had a takeaway order in which i ordered the wonton soup, but i found a chunk of plastic in it, as well as something crunchy in the dumpling. also ordered steam pork dumplings, it’s pretty good, overall not satisfied with the soup dish but would order the dumplings again. the lady at the restaurant was very friendly, seemed to have a good atmosphere in there. also didn’t receive any utensils even though i asked for them

Nice establishment. Service is good and polite. Noodles had great texture and flavor. Pan fried buns were okay, but BBQ pork buns were pretty good and soup dumplings were great. Average prices.

We came here for lunch and ordered the soup dumplings and pan-fried buns, both were fresh and delicious . The cauliflower was flavorful and very tasty. and we also got to watch the chef making buns right in the restaurant, which was a nice experience. My friend and I will definitely come back again!

Located in the Chinatown-ID neighborhood, this classic Cantonese restaurant offers a buzzing dining room with live seafood tanks and an abundance of delicious dumplings. Whether you’re a dim sum enthusiast or trying it for the first time, this spot is a true hidden treasure.

The food here was absolutely amazing — fresh, flavorful, and some of the best dim sum I’ve had in Seattle. Unfortunately, the customer service was the complete opposite of the food quality. One server rudely asked if we were ever going to order, and when we said yes, he came back and literally tossed the menus onto our table. Every time he returned, he never smiled or said a word, which really put a damper on an otherwise fantastic meal. This was Friday August 8, at 7 pm! We spent $162 and tipped well. We are all from the service industry and now we record food reviews so we understand that not every day is a good day but to have menus thrown at us and mean service is insane! The rude service was given by an older, tall-ish dark haired man with glasses. We only asked for 2 things during our time here. A fork and a sprite. You would have thought we asked the man for his first born child!

Delicious dim sum. Service was quick and friendly. Atmosphere was the old feel of a good small Cantonese restaurant. Highly recommend.

Typical Chinese restaurant .... clean but not very big. We went on a Monday morning & you order through the QR code on your phone. Not the traditional push cart. Food was good

Authentic Guangdong, Chinese restaurant. Everything we tried was fresh and delicious. Excellent service and typical atmosphere for this type of restaurant. Most dishes are served family style for all to share. The prices were moderate and well worth it considering the quality of the food
Craig H — Google review
I'm so happy with this experience. It's an older restaurant but they clearly have perfected the dishes. The staff is warm and friendly and kind for newbies. We went for lunch and the prices were fair - we tipped heavily because it was just so tasty. Big thumbs up
Stafford G — Google review
It's really very average food. The scallop with double mushroom had tiny baby sized scallops with exactly 2 black mushrooms and some canned straw mushrooms. Very salty and too much soy sauce. Beef rice rolls had strange off flavors and bits of chopped water chestnut, which is odd. Waitress was extra grumpy; threw dishes on the table. Mandatory 3% change for credit card. No itemized receipt. Not recommended.

Jade Garden is hands down one of the OG spots in Seattle — and still the best of the best when it comes to authentic dim sum and classic Chinese food. This place has been around forever, and for good reason. The food is consistently amazing, the portions are generous, and the flavors always hit the spot. From the moment you walk in, you can tell you’re somewhere special. The hustle and bustle, the carts rolling by with fresh dumplings and buns, the smell of steamed shrimp and roasted pork — it’s the kind of energy that makes you feel alive. The dim sum here is unbeatable — har gow, siu mai, BBQ pork buns, chicken feet, rice rolls — everything tastes exactly how it should. Fresh, hot, and made with care. Jade Garden is one of those rare restaurants that just gets it right every single time. It’s no fancy frills, no trendy gimmicks — just solid, traditional food done perfectly. The staff moves fast, they know their regulars, and even when it’s packed (which it usually is), the service is efficient and friendly. This place is part of Seattle’s history. So many of us grew up coming here with family, and it still delivers that same feeling every visit. Whether it’s Sunday morning dim sum, a late-night meal after a night out, or just craving some classic comfort food — Jade Garden never disappoints. If you’re looking for the real deal, not a modern imitation, this is it. Jade Garden is the standard. The OG. The best of the best.

Japanese restaurant
Restaurant
Maneki Restaurant is a historic Japanese establishment that has been serving classic Japanese fare, including sushi, since 1904. Located in Seattle's International District, it offers tatami rooms and a bar for an authentic dining experience. The restaurant's private tatami rooms provide a serene setting where guests can enjoy traditional Japanese cuisine and sake in seclusion from the bustling main dining area.
Maneki is an absolute gem in the International District and a must-visit for anyone who appreciates authentic Japanese cuisine and a truly special atmosphere. Stepping inside feels like a warm hug from the past – it's one of the oldest Japanese restaurants in the country, and you can feel that history. We opted for a tatami room (highly recommend booking this in advance!), which made the experience even more memorable. Kicking off your shoes and enjoying a meal in that traditional setting is fantastic. The FOOD! Oh my goodness, the food. We had an amazing spread! The sashimi platter was incredibly fresh and beautifully presented – a real highlight. The unagi don (eel rice bowl) was rich and flavorful, and the sukiyaki was so comforting and delicious. We also tried the takoyaki (perfectly crispy and savory) and the agedashi tofu, which was delicate and flavorful. Even the chicken wings and korokke were fantastic. Everything tasted like it was made with care and tradition. Service was friendly and helpful, happy to offer recommendations. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and experience you get. This isn't some trendy, overpriced spot; it's the real deal. Maneki isn't just a meal; it's an experience. It's a piece of Seattle history that's still serving up incredible food. Can't recommend it enough! Go, but definitely make a reservation. You won't regret it.

I always visit this restaurant each time when I visit Seattle from Calgary! Black cod was my fav! Then the broiled oysters. We also got the classic sashimi and shayu shayu (beef hot pot). Highly recommend :)

Maneki was hands down one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a long time. Jean was an incredible host—so friendly and knowledgeable. She took the time to sit with us and explain different sakes as we’ve been searching for one similar in flavor to the one we enjoyed during our visit to Beppu. Jean was also so much fun to talk with! The food was a 10/10—authentic, flavorful, and instantly took us back to our time in Japan. We loved Maneki so much that we made another reservation before flying home. We’re not locals to Seattle, but this spot will definitely be on our list every time we return. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

Ocha Zuke with salmon and Spicy Cod Karaage were superb. Miso Dengaku with tofu was so so. The description said "broiled" but it looked like steamed or boiled. The sauce on top barely had miso flavor but just lemony. Echigo rice beer was quite refreshing and smooth. I recommend it!

Comforting food and atmosphere with the most kind staff! All the dishes were super tasty and the menu had a great variety of authentic items.

Foods were very delicious. Reservation process was easier than I thought. I was able to get a same day dinner reservation on a Wednesday.

We ordered the Hamachi kama (yellowtail collar), spicy tuna rolls, Hamachi rolls, black cod collar with miso, and Udon with tempura- yes, we love hamachi!. It was a rainy day, and this meal turned out to be the perfect comfort food. The fish was incredibly tender and sweet, with sauces that were well-balanced and enhanced the natural flavors. The sushi rolls were especially fresh. We heard this is one of the oldest Japanese restaurants in Seattle. While it’s not fancy or modern in appearance, it’s well-maintained and has a lot of character. The staff were fast, friendly, and very knowledgeable when we had questions about the menu. If you’re looking for quality sushi and traditional Japanese dishes in the area, check this place out.
Su L — Google review
Dinner was absolutely incredible! So fresh and so flavorful. I’d seen many reviews mention the black cod collar so of course I had to see what all the hype was about and WOW! So buttery and creamy, the first bite literally melted in my mouth and I was in love. I would also recommend the salmon nanban (I believe that is what it was called), a delicious cold dish perfect for sharing. Service was also very lovely, our waitress was sweet and friendly and also had great taste in music. I would say this was an affordable dinner, especially considering the quality of the dishes. We cannot wait to return!

Restaurant
Ooink Capitol Hill is a cozy and laid-back restaurant that offers a variety of inventive Japanese dishes, with a focus on pork-bone broth and vegetarian ramen. Chef-owner Chong Boon Ooi and his wife, Jiaxin Wang, serve up silky porcine soup in their small but inviting space above Broadway and Pike. The menu features non-traditional options like the spicy mapo tofu ramen, which transforms the classic Chinese dish into a flavorful noodle soup.
Excellent! We got the Kotteri and Shio Ramens. Both had delicious flavorful broth that was on the salty side (which I loved). The pork was tender and easily came apart. The noodles were tasty as well. I’d highly recommend this ramen as it is one of the best I have tried in Seattle! The location is above QFC and is quite small with limited seating and small tables. The service was great.
Olivia C — Google review
Mala ramen was pretty solid, has a good numbing taste and noodle texture is ok. Interior is a bit smaller and more intimate so definitely try to go during less busy hours. Overall service is not bad, just order at the front and they give it to you at the table. The gyoza and vegetarian ramen were good, overall a chill spot to try but nothing exceptional.
Leo W — Google review
The food is absolutely incredible! Must-tries include the mala ramen and the Malaysian spicy fried chicken. We loved our meal and will be recommending this place to anyone seeking a truly unique ramen experience you won't find anywhere else in Seattle.
Sandy Z — Google review
This is a great ramen place for a quick bite to each, lunch, or if you’re craving a different kind of ramen altogether. With very pork-themed options (hence the name), this is a great ramen spot for people who love a good meat-centered broth and flavor.
Jordan — Google review
Was looking forward to trying this shop since i saw the good reviews... was met with mediocre ramen in a tiny shop. Literally sitting on stools in a cramped dining area, you pay $20 to order at a tablet and grab your own food from a counter. Barely any interaction at all from staff. Broth was okay, but pork, egg, and noodles were all overcooked and cold. Won't be coming back, unfortunately.

Don't let the hole in the wall appearance fool you. There is a steady stream of customers and the tables stayed full. Owner was so nice and didnt make fun of me asking for a fork! Would definitely eat there again!

I wish I had took photos of the food we got the mala ramen and it was amazing! If you like a good level of spicy get level 3. The service was quick and friendly. Szechuan Noodle Bowl is a cozy and authentic spot in Seattle, offering Sichuan specialties like handmade noodles, dumplings, stir-fries, garlic seaweed, and green onion pancakes. The restaurant has a traditional 1950's Chinese retro look with boarded windows that give it a secretive vibe. It's known for its delicious homemade xiaolongbao and juicy dumplings. The place is cash-only or accepts Venmo.
Phenomenal. Everything we ordered was A+. It can be hard to find soup dumplings that don’t have an excessively doughy flavor. These are right on the money. Very reasonable prices and exceedingly friendly staff. The marinated pig ears were a surprise hit, even for the toddlers.
Benjamin M — Google review
I love a divey restaurant that has incredible food. The contrast in offerings (delicious hand pulled noodle soup vs facial tissues instead of napkins) somehow makes the food taste better! The boiled peanuts were better than dry peanuts could ever hope to be. The soup was slightly spicy and the beef was tender and delightful. And the noodles were tops.
Paul R — Google review
Its quite small delicious. Something about having the server being the owner while ignoring you because they're busy with making fresh dumplings by hand so they can get ahead of work is beautiful and appreciated. I've been going here for 13 years now and it has its loyal fans but maybe you'd give it a try. But don't come here making trouble for this beautiful mom and pop shop. Its a simple establishment with delicious food.

Seattle’s Chinatown is such a gem and this spot is lovely. Delicious food. Cozy no frills restaurant. Dumplings and noodles are especially good.

SO good BUT🚨don’t order online! If you’re ordering for pick up: call in or order there. The prices are 30-65%+ more. For example: Green onion pancake $7.25 v $9.39 Beef noodle soup $13.25 v chicken $17.19 Dumplings $11.45 v $18.89 I attached the online order and the actual menu for reference. I assume the price increases are to cover their software fees but still - save a bit and then tip them extra!

Solid food all around, cucumber and wood ear mushroom salad and fried rice were great. Lots of vegetarian options, the lady was attentive and checked with us to make sure we didn’t want pork in our mapo tofu.

Really great comfort food. Love the tenderness of the beef in the noodle soup. Feel warm after eating. Guess I'll come more often in rainy/winter days!

Great food at a reasonable price. Don't be dissuaded by the run down exterior and super simple interior design. This may be one of the better Asian restaurants I have tried in the area. The dumplings are delicious and the noodles are excellent. Both have that qq (chewy) bite to them.

Restaurant
Nestled in the Greenwood neighborhood, Little Ting’s Dumplings is a hidden gem that specializes in homemade Chinese dumplings, pan-fried buns, and hearty noodles. This unpretentious eatery showcases Northern Chinese-style dumplings with thick dough enveloping bold, flavorful fillings. With over six varieties available steamed or fried, each dumpling is crafted by hand to ensure quality and taste.
Food: the fried mushroom/chive buns are a little under filled for my liking but the bun is soft and the flavors are on point. The steamed beef dumplings were my favorite. They were juicy and umami that reminded me flavors of homemade cooking. The skin was not drying which I appreciated especially for a takeaway order. I got: chicken fried noodles, pan fried mushroom/chive buns, and beef scallion steamed dumplings. They have other items like dim sum and noodle soups with other familiar dishes that I’ll be back to try. Service: I accidentally ordered a veggie item on the kiosk when I wanted meat. The lady was understanding and was able to accommodate my mistake which I was grateful for since the beef dumplings turned out to be the dish I liked best. Atmosphere: simple decor and bright lighting. Parking: Came here late to pick up some food, parking is not super clear (at night) but does have a small parking lot.

We’ve overlooked Ting’s in the past, but last week we needed delivery and decided to give it a try. Delivery was so good, we decided to try the dine in today. Every dish was delicious. The Fried Mushrooms were probably our favorite, savory umami flavors, crispy on the outside, melt in our month goodness. Temperature is also super important to taste and every dish was served piping hot.
Mimi L — Google review
We found this place to be a hidden gem. The hot and sour soup had just enough spice for flavor but not enough to burn, which was nice for us. We got the sweet and sour pork tenderloin and the pork and Fennel dumplings. The sweet and sour pork was fantastic - none of the Fatty left-over bbq pork you get at other places, nor pineapple and veg to bulk the order out. Just the fried breaded pork in sauce. Lovely and tender. The dumplings are hand made on site, and simply delicious. We were very happy and are looking forward to our next visit.
Stax B — Google review
Huge portions!! The braised beef noodle soup and dry string bean are so yummy! I love their handmade dumplings, the fried ones have the crispy snowflake on them! Try the pork and fennel ones! Especially good with their chili oil, vinegar, and soy sauce on the table!!

Little Ting's is fantastic! The in-person dining experience is wonderful and being able to buy frozen dumplings to take home for later is such a treat. I get such nostalgia eating the dumplings 水餃 and always have decision paralysis when looking at the menu because there are just so many good options.
S H — Google review
I have eaten a LOT of soup dumplings in my life, many in the Seattle area. Little Ting’s is the TASTIEST I have ever tried! The servers are polite, and the food came out FAST. Definitely a hidden gem of a restaurant. Seating for 1-6 at standard booths and tables. They have a separate eating nook for larger parties.
Jen — Google review
Amazing service. Delicious dumplings and noodles. Highly recommended for a quick bite, or a meal with friends and family. We had the xiaolongbao, such great value for such a well made soup dumpling, the skin was thin and soup, delicious. The handmade spicy noodles were amazing, just the right amount of spice, and the noodles were chewy and tasty. We had the pork and fennel dumplings, delicious. Highly recommended, just the right mix of meat and fennel flavour. We spent about 15 per person. Service was great, the gentleman working that day was attentive and our cups never ran empty. Highly recommended. Would definitely come again.

Now I know the reason their take out service is nonstop: the dumplings ($13) and potstickers ($13) are tremendous. Their dumpling making operations are transparent: they are preparing them right behind the bar counter so you can see that process. So adroit and skillful. Also, delicious is the soy milk they serve. They packaged everything well, so it arrives intact and hot. In occasion you may have to wait a while for the food. Also the takeout business is very clip.

We came here because of a friend’s recommendation, and it turned out to be great! We enjoyed the fried soup dumplings, steamed soup dumplings and Jian Bing. Those dumplings were very juicy. The side dishes such as cucumber and sichuan cabbage were also pretty good. It’s a nice place for a quick bite.

Came here because we saw some decent reviews on Google. It was a Saturday afternoon when we came. The food was ok. Soup dumplings were a bit cold by the time we received our order. The entire order took a while to be prepared, and it turns out the crepe was the hold up. Felt like the kitchen could’ve timed the rest of the items better to keep everything fresh/hot. The pan-seared buns were actually far juicier and tastier than the soup dumplings and definitely the start of the meal. They also sell frozen items as well.

Does anyone else feel the need for a tutorial to be included with soup dumplings? How can you bite into one of these without spraying anyone around you? Irregardless, swung by this place on a Saturday afternoon n it was EMPTY. Lots of seating, parking garage made everything simpatico! Quick order and we were ready to get our dim sum fix: DanDan noodles for that tongue tingling sensation Shrimp n pork soup dumplings because - soup dumplings! Fried pork bao (which incidentally was the star ⭐️⭐️⭐️of the show!) Cucumber garlic side for freshness It’s fast and convenient and filling. If you want frufru then join the queue at DinTaiFung (who DOESN’t ❤️them?!) otherwise cross over to XIAO CHI JIE for simple and easy. I was surprised how quickly the bill added up but I was equally grateful for how filling it was. Doesn’t disappoint for a quickie!

I've known this place previously through their soup dumplings which i ordered as a subscription. I applaud them for pivoting to a mail order service during the pandemic. We've finally gotten a chance to go there in person and dine in. My suggestion is actually to do take out rather than dine in. That place currently doesn't have much of an atmosphere, but the food is pretty good, regardless of what you order. And the mail ordered soup dumplings are just as good as the ones you get here. That's a compliment for the high quality of their frozen dumplings. The reason why you would do take out over the mail order is that you can get their pan fried dumplings (careful when you bite into them, the soup will splash out 😁) and their dandan noodles are pretty yummy.

ChiHo Bistro 滋味堂 is a charming family-owned restaurant that offers an amazing dining experience. The traditional soup dumplings, garlic fried chicken wings, crab rangoon, and Dan Dan chili oil noodles are highly recommended dishes. During happy hour, guests can enjoy half-priced wine. The Dan Dan noodles stand out as a must-try dish. It's advisable to make reservations in advance as the restaurant gets busy quickly after opening at 5 pm on Saturdays.
The food here is amazing! We went for my husband's birthday and we were not disappointed. We got the Dan Dan noodles and Pekking duck to split, and both were some of the best of both I have ever had. We also each got an order of the mixed soup dumplings, which were delicious, my favorites were the mushroom one and the spicey one. We have already made plans to go back.

First time eating here & came to check out their food for Seattle restaurant week. Food was amazing. For $65 their SRW menu was a good deal. Good size portions I would say enough to feed at least 3-4 people though it states the menu is good for 2-3 people. My bf & I were very full after. Food was delicious. My boyfriend stated that their soup dumplings is better than din tai fung. We had their wagyu beef soup dumplings. Forgot to take a pic of the truffle fried rice but it was delicious! Server was friendly & we were seated right away. Would come back here again.

Tamari Bar is a trendy space with an industrial-chic vibe that specializes in Japanese drinking snacks, street food, and cocktails. The menu features a variety of delicious options such as salmon belly chirashi with miso sauce and ikura, pork dumplings with black garlic oil, soft serve with matcha syrup, and marinated wagyu for self-cooking on a hot rock. It's known for its high-energy atmosphere, making it a great spot for both fantastic Japanese food and lively gatherings.
Lives up to the hype - every dish was top notch & crave-able. Super flavorful curry & sauces - each bite well balanced AND packing a punch. We had 7 items on the Happy Hour menu - our top 3: 206 Curry, Nanban Popcorn Chicken, Bao (pork belly & soft-shell crab). Fair prices & excellent service - observant, efficient, and kind. Highly recommend.

After reading this menu, and seeing all of the unique items, we were very excited to try it out. The crispy Chinese doughnuts with the curry sauce really caught my eye, and it didn't turn out how I expected - but that could be what I had in mind. I wasn't expecting them to be overly sweet, but any means, but these really didn't have that element at all. Essentially it was like a fried bread for your curry, which was absolutely delicious. So I'm glad the waitress suggested we get the side order since we were getting that fantastic curry anyway. We also really enjoyed the NORI-SHIO FRITZ with the sriracha and honey mustard aioli 😋. The restaurant has a great vibe and cool esthetic with friendly staff. Be different and try someplace new.

Came here for late night happy hour. It was a really good experience. We had several bites and drinks. Karage was done very well. The different types of popcorn chicken were enjoyable. The chirashi bowl was quite good but the cuts of sashimi were smaller than what I've typically seen at other places. The sushi roll wasn't bad at all. Overall, it was a fun a good experience.
Jerry D — Google review
Wow this place is definately worth a try! I stopped in with a group of friends and ordered a sampler from their appetizers (mix of sashimi, crab cakes, and veg options) their spicy ramen and two sushi rolls and they were all excellent. I’d highlight recommend sharing a few dishes family style to try their various menu items - they even brought out multiple bowls for us to share the ramen. Great service and experience overall!
Jessica R — Google review
Food is varied and delicious. I loved everything we got. The menu is not extensive but it has a lot of different stuff and I felt like we had a broad variety of types of food which I loved—sushi, fried chicken, steak bites, noodles, and veggies. Preparations were interesting and high quality, but not fancy just really tasty. Definitely a fun and relaxed dining experience. The chair was not very comfortable. Upgrading the furniture just a bit seems like an easy opportunity to improve the experience.

Nice izakaya vibes modern Japanese restaurant. This is a nice place to come with friends, order a bunch of different things, and enjoy it all family-style. The karaage is super nice, and so were all of the fish dishes 😋 They also offer some nice nihonshu (Japanese sake) 🍶

We picked here for our last dinner in Seattle (vacation was soon over). What a fun place with lots of good food. I strongly recommend making reservations, otherwise you wait for outdoor seating. It is not protected from the elements (and yes it started raining later in the evening). The space is very metal and cement. It's a bit noisy. But, even with the place being packed, we could hear each other when talking and did not have to raise our voices. The seats are metal and the do NOT encourage you to linger. They pinch in at the sides (the seat backs) which is not ideal. But it is an Izakaya place after all, you are not meant to linger there for hours. Wy wife had some kind of sake slushy which she loved. I had a modified gin & tonic before switching to a pint of beer. The beer worked better with the food. The food: 1) Fried chicken skins with yuzu - great! 2) Fried horse mackerel (I love all mackerel!) with katsu sauce - a bigger portion than I expected, and so good! 3) Pork belly bao - very good! 4) softshell crab bao ( really very good (better than the pork bao)) 5) Okonomiyaki topped with gochuchang chili and mozarella (crazy good!) and also a larger portion than expected 6) Vanilla soft serve ice cream with a toki whisky caramel - fills in all the cracks. Fun night, great food. Good pacing on the dishes. Very good service. Recommended. Try it!

Chinese restaurant
Chengdu Taste Seattle is an offshoot of the popular Southern California Szechuan-style restaurant. Located in an industrial-chic cafe, it offers a variety of spicy specialties from Chengdu, including mung bean jelly noodles, juicy wontons in pepper sauce, cumin-rubbed lamb on toothpicks, and spicy dry-fried chicken pieces.
I'm Chinese American from NYC and have been living in Shanghai the past 8 years. I've actually been to Chengdu 6 or 7 times. I've eaten at a LOT of Chinese restaurants in my life. Without a doubt, Chengdu Taste would one of my favorite places it were in Shanghai. In fact, it's better than 90% of the places I've tried in Chengdu - no joke. It's that good. In fact, it was so good we went back - 2 meals in 3 days. What we ordered and my rating out of 10: 1. popcorn chicken 8 2. crispy chicken with red chili pepper 9 (photo #1) 3. sauteed eggplant 9 4. sour veggie fish 8 5. sauteed string beans 9 6. ma po tofu 9 7. pork rib dish (can't remember the name, see photo #3) 10 8. pork dish with veggies (can't remember the name, see photo #2) 9 9. twice cooked pork 5 Advice: 1. and 2. are very similar, and while 1. is their signature dish (plaques on the wall), we all thought 2. is better. If you can handle a few bones, get 2. 7. is very spicy, probably the spiciest thing we ordered, but VERY flavorful. If you can handle spice, order it! 6. was excellent because it wasn't too salty. I think many places make mapo tofu too salty, and that's coming from someone who LOVES salt. haha If you're not into spicy food, 8. is an excellent choice. It's not spicy at all while still being very flavorful. For you Chinese folks, I think on the menu it's 农家小炒肉. Atmosphere - just like the photos. It's bright with huge windows and tastefully decorated. I actually think it's a bit too nice given the neighborhood. This is only my 2nd ever Google review. I'm writing it simply because Chengdu Taste blew away my expectations. If you're ever in Seattle and are in the mood for Chinese, don't miss this place.

Beware that this place is SPICY! The food is really good if you can stomach it. The spice is rated out of 5, and the mapo tofu was a 2 and it was just the right amount of sichuan heat. The depth of flavor is really rare from my experience with mapo tofu - this place did not disappoint. The mung bean noodles were fun but kind of lacked flavor overall. Fried rice was legit. Would love to try other things on the menu.
Alicia B — Google review
Foods were delicious and interesting. -Green onion chicken was very flavorful for what I imagined from a cold dish. It clearly had that distinct spicyness from green onion, so may not be a good choice for someone who doesn’t like green onion. -Mapo Tofu was little dissappointing; it didn’t taste like that spicy sauce was well simmered into the tofu so it tasted little bland than I hoped as I chew more and more. -Fish in spicy sauce (forgot to take a pic) was amazing; silky soft cooked fish dipped into sichuan style? spicy sauce, so very flavorful and delicious. Still very curious what kinda fish is that soft and tender. -Lamb in cumin spicy sauce was also great. The sauce completely covered the distinct smell from lamb meat and the meat was very tender and juicy. -Chendu Fried Rice had this unique black-colored chewy root-like veggie? in it. It had subtle sweet flavor and worked out pretty well as part of a fried rice dish. Would love to revisit to try other new menu from this place as they seem to have lots of those that I’m unaware or.

The sichuan food here had us all craving more. I loved the notes of numbing pepper in every dish. The standout dish for us was the spring onion chicken in pepper sauce. While traditionally, the sauce is used as a dipping sauce and there is always never enough for the amount of chicken served, this restaurant flips that notion on its head and serves the chicken drowned in the sauce and I love it. There’s numbing pepper in here as well and we found ourselves adding this oil/sauce onto almost every other dish. The cumin lamb on toothpicks were perfectly tender and chewy and so so flavorful. Definitely a must try if you love cumin lamb. The boiled fish was a bit different than I expected but it was a pleasant dish to round out the spiciness of everything else. I wasn’t a huge fan of the spicy popcorn chicken but it definitely had an aura of better quality. I personally preferred the oily spiciness in the way that other sichuan restaurants do it. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant. Can’t wait to take my friends and family here
Fong F — Google review
I knew this restaurant would serve authentic Sichuan cuisine, but it ended up being a little too authentic for me I got the Mapo Tofu here, which is a popular Sichuanese dish of tofu in a spicy oil-based sauce, and minced meat (pork in this case) I've had mapo tofu before, in a place designed to cater more to Western audiences. This is absolutely not that. The flavor in this dish explodes at you - it's fiery, unafraid, and strong. It just takes one bite for it to hit you over the head with its mouthfeel. The rice is barely able to slow it down; it just provides temporary relief from the marauding conquest that this dish has over your mouth. While the sauce and peppercorns provide the immense depth of flavor, my favorite part of this mapo tofu has to be the namesake tofu. It's probably the best tofu I've ever had. So unbelievably soft that it collapses upon itself while bringing it from the bowl to the plate. I've never had softer tofu before, and it felt like cutting into a dessert more than anything. It also acted as an excellent sponge for the rice. The dish came absolutely loaded with tofu as well, which was fantastic I also liked the pork as well, but I thought there could've been more of it This dish is spicy. Like really spicy. I can usually handle spicy food pretty well, but the amount of Sichuan peppercorns put in here is crazy. It really is that numbing spice which makes your mouth unable to process anything else. Eating with rice helped slightly, but at the midway point through this massive bowl, I had to call it as it was just getting too spicy. This raises an interesting philosophical question on how to judge this dish. Usually I look for enjoyable experiences when going out, and due to the spiciness, I can't say this was very enjoyable - it was in fact a bit painful to eat towards the end. On the contrary, I can recognize the quality of this dish, and the effort that went into creating it. I guess I'd have to judge it as a mix of the both sides. There's a balance I need to strike with how much *I* liked something, versus how good I think it is objectively. Usually, both of those are in harmony, but it's cases like this where they split apart a bit Anyway, the portion size is pretty incredible. A single bowl of tofu could easily be shared by two people with no problem. It's a little weird that you have to pay extra for the rice, since no sane person is just going to have this tofu bowl by itself, but the overall cost of around $22 in total was really not that expensive Overall, I can't say this was the most enjoyable dish in the world, but I know when there's exceptional quality, and this has it. 8.75/10

Szechuan style food. It's spicy but can be less spicy if you know what to look for. Lots of numb hot foods. Very well prepared.

The toothpick cumin lamb was phenomenal. Well spiced and spicy. The tofu dish was good as well but the greens on top (celtuce?) had a soapy flavor that was unexpected for me. We got a Jia Duo Bao with the food and it complimented it perfectly.

Family restaurant
Lotus Pond Vietnamese Cuisine is a new addition to North Seattle's vibrant Vietnamese food scene. The restaurant, located in a modest building off Aurora, offers an extensive menu featuring classic Vietnamese dishes as well as specialty options like banh ho and red rice noodle crab soup. The generous portions and reasonable prices make it easy to explore the diverse menu, which includes many vegetarian and gluten-free choices.
Lotus Pond is a hidden gem that deserves way more recognition. I've dined here several times, and love the consistent quality, fantastic prices, and prompt and friendly service. Definitely an underrated restaurant! The Shaking Beef is my go-to. Tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. I also highly recommend the Sizzling Vietnamese Steak & Eggs. The steak was cooked to perfection and the combination of the eggs and pate was divine. My only (minor) gripe about the steak and eggs is that it's served with a banh mi instead of rice. While the banh mi was good, I personally would have preferred rice instead! Despite that, the overall experiences at Lotus Pond were outstanding. The flavors were incredible, the portions were generous, and the prices were incredibly reasonable. It's rare to find such delicious food at such great value in Seattle these days! They also have ample seating for those wishing to dine-in, though I personally prefer take-out. Can't wait to go back!!

Everything I've had from this restaurant is fantastic. Delicious food, large portions, great service - the best Vietnamese food I've had outside of Vietnam. Great to eat in person, but they also impressed as catering for a friend's wedding recently. They had so many options, including Vietnamese coffee, which they delivered to the venue. The wings in particular were amazing. Cannot recommend enough!

Lotus Pond Vietnamese Cuisine is absolutely amazing! We came in right before closing, and they were kind enough to fit us in without rushing us. The service was truly a 10/10, warm, attentive, and welcoming. The food came out quickly, piping hot, and bursting with authentic flavor. I ordered the chicken pho, and it was hands down the best pho I've had in Seattle so far. I'm originally from Atlanta, which has a large Asian community with many great restaurants, and Lotus Pond absolutely holds its own. The broth was rich and fragrant, the chicken tender, and I loved dressing it up with extra limes and all the delicious sauces they provide. Every accessory, from the fresh herbs to the condiments, was just perfect. If you enjoy coffee, do yourself a favor and get the Vietnamese coffee here. I asked for it not as sweet and they delivered. So good. Seattle has a lot of competition when it comes to Vietnamese food, but I picked Lotus Pond based on its stellar 4.5+ star rating, and I'm so glad I did. If you're torn between spots, pick this one. The restaurant is very clean, the food is incredible, and the service makes the whole experience even better. Huge servings as expected. 10/10 recommend.

Summary: decent place to hit up if you’re craving viet food. Food: good portions but taste wise can be interesting. Some of the dishes were either hella salty (fish), lacking (pho), or just not what you’d expect (bun Bo hue). But other dishes like Com Tam and Bo Ne were good so we’d recommend those. Price: expensive considering where we’re from but as it’s WA, reasonable pricing. Service: the server was kind and patient with us. They were also attentive. Atmosphere: cute decor and ample seating. Would recommend as a fun family outing or date. Reasonable table spacing as well Location: interesting parking situation that can be limited. And ngl, from the outside, the restaurant looks kinda sad and uninteresting.

We ordered Bún Bò Huế and an assorted grilled meat plate with greens and flat noodles. These were both first-time dishes for me, as I haven’t seen them offered at other Vietnamese restaurants in Seattle. I was really excited to try them — and they turned out to be absolutely amazing. The soup wasn’t spicy at all, but it had a rich, deep beef flavor. It came with generous portions of meat, including large meatballs and beef ribs. The noodles were round and soft, not chewy. The grilled meat dish was full of smoky, fire-grilled flavor. The marinated meat was tender and tasty, although the slices were paper-thin. Still, it worked well with the noodles and fresh greens. I do wish they had served a bit more fish sauce on the side. I couldn’t finish everything, so I took the leftovers home — and they were just as good the next day! Portions are large, the food looks beautiful, and the taste is even better. The only downside was the service. None of the servers came to check on our table until I asked for the check and a to-go box. We didn’t get any water refills. Since the meat came in large pieces, we needed a knife, but didn’t receive one until my husband went up front and asked for it. Hopefully, they’ll offer more attentive and friendly service on our next visit. Overall, I highly recommend this place for the food — it’s worth it!
Sally N — Google review
The food here is consistently excellent and the servers are some of the nicest and most helpful people I’ve ever met. Among the standouts: fresh spring rolls, green papaya salad, mango salad, woven vermicelli, clay pot catfish, eggplant, and the list goes on. The only thing that wasn’t my favorite was the pho. And the atmosphere inside and outside of the restaurant is … um, lacking. But the food and service more than make up for that. Eat here. Now. And then eat here again. Soon.

I don’t know why the score is only 4.4, for me it should be at least 4.8. We came here twice in 2 weeks. Really nice! Worth to try!

Indian restaurant
Annapurna Cafe, located in the vibrant Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle, offers a colorful underground dining experience featuring traditional dishes from India, Nepal, and Tibet. The small restaurant is known for its low-light ambiance and exquisite South Indian and Himalayan cuisine. The menu includes a fusion of dishes such as dosa, South Indian specialties, and Himalayan delicacies. Notable dishes include creamy fish korma, chicken momo with peanut chutney, and slow-cooked lamb curry.
I went here after work and it was delicious. The service was great. They have a big menu with meat and vegetarian options. I had the chicken Masala and Garlic Naan which was fresh and yummy. We had the pork momo for an appetizer and they were the best part. So delicious and flavorful. I highly recommend coming in.

This place is my favorite indian/Himalayan cuisine in seattle. The food is super yummy, the entire shop is decorated with maps, photos and artwork, and nice staff. I even bought the copper cups that they use here because the water tasted so delicious out of them. Besides the water I had some of the lasse drinks which were both really good. They blew it out of park with the main courses, which were both amazing! They also have seating downstairs in a basement seating, and an upstairs area near a bar with an open area. Ive been here 2 times and have sat at both and I think they are both great options. Personally I prefer sitting downstairs. I am definitely looking forward to my next visit.

This place is really unhygienic and down right dirty. What’s wrong u may ask? 1. Chair looks old and dirty. Like 30yo old furniture from ur grandmoms garage sale old. 2. Plate, silverware and cup was dirty and old. There were scratches on everything. Seem like they haven’t replaced their hardware for 15 yrs. 3. While pouring water, the staff had his fingers inside the water jug. This was extremely unhygienic and dirty. Food was okay.. a tad spicy and not very flavorful. There’s a difference between flavorful spicy and just downright miserable spicy and this was the latter. Calamari & onion pakora - 5/10 lacked seasonings and the batter was mid. Garlic nan - 3/10 tasted like store bought nan Chicken tikka - 6.5/10 goes well with the rice. V spicy Fish korma - 6/10 too much batter on the fish. Fish wasn’t seasoned and v spicy. We came in before 7 and place looked dead.. place is downright disgusting and beyond mid. Also like why the hell did they add service surcharge on my bill and tax me on top of that??!?

This is now my favorite restaurant in the world! I'm not exaggerating. It is so rare to go to a place and get fresh made, flavorful, spicy, but not too spicy food. The chicken momo and sauces are to die for. Not frozen and reheated. It's the genuine thing. The spinach momo goes with the sesame sauce so well. The Annapurna curry is just outstanding. It had just a enough heat, but the perfect bombardment of spices for flavor. And I had the chicken and it was perfection. The naan.... Is real. It seems obvious, but so many places just use cheap bread instead of naan. We got the garlic naan and it was just amazing. The staff was wonderful. I could sit and just breathe in this place for hours. I recommend this place so much. It is nothing much to look at outside, so don't be put off. Downstairs is the restaurant.

Annapurna Cafe is a 100% Nepali restaurant that beautifully blends the flavors of Nepal and India. With over 20 years of culinary experience, it has become a fantastic destination in Seattle for those seeking authentic Nepali and Indian tastes. The restaurant offers a cozy bar-side seating area with a warm and inviting ambiance. Here, you can enjoy a wide variety of dishes including different types of momo (veg, chicken, and mutton), rice thalis, roti, and a delicious range of Newari specialties such as chataamari and bara.

Stopped here before heading to a concert at The Crocodile, and it hit the spot! I got the Chowmein and enjoyed it. I got medium spiciness and wish I had gotten it a little spicer. The portion size was plenty and I recommend getting the garlic naan bread. They were out of puri but had no complaints otherwise. 06/22/25

Noodle/Bar, located in South Lake Union, is a delightful spot to brighten up a gloomy day with its delectable offerings. Whether you opt for the fiery dumplings drenched in chili sauce or the comforting braised tofu and mushrooms over rice, each dish promises a satisfying experience. The wanza mian with ground pork, Chinese broccoli, and chickpeas is particularly recommended for its nourishing qualities and lingering spice.
A hidden gem located in South lake Union. This place succeeded my expectations. Service here is immaculate. I appreciate how vegetarian friendly this restaurant is. The best thing that we got was the ribs and the yibin burning noodles.the dumplings were authentic and flavorful. I highly recommend this place and would come back.

Awesome little spot to pop by in South Lake Union. We were passing through town and needed a good stop for lunch. This did just the trick. The atmosphere is open and airy with nice mitts and wall coloring. There’s a good number of tables and ample lighting with windows on two sides. Service overall was fine, nothing notable given there were only maybe 6 customers in the restaurant at the time but got the job done. The food itself was quite tasty and had nice hits of flavor. I went with the spicy peanut noodles with pork which was delicious. I wished the pickled cucumber was on the sweeter side but other than that it was a hit. My gf got the other spicy noodles which she enjoyed, just didn’t think they were that spicy. We also split an order of dumplings which were tasty. A fun lunch spot if you’re in the area for some casual and tasty eats.

Good noodles, a tad bit over seasoned. The dishes are a little expensive for the portion sizes and atmosphere of the restaurant.

Came here on a whim since it was the closest place for Asian food near El Corazon. On a hot afternoon in late June, the place was a tad warm but after sitting under one of their fans for a while it isn't so bad. Their cold buckwheat noodles dish and their shaken iced tea were exactly what I needed to beat the heat. It was so refreshing. Next time I will get the noodles with no meat because the crunchy pickled veggies were more than enough. It was perfect. My boyfriend got the spicy peanut noodle (which replaced the dan dan noodles on their menu) and he really liked it!

American Chinese noodle shop trying hard to be authentic who caters more to takeouts than dine-in customers. 💁🏻‍♂️ We had to wait for 15min to be seated when there was plenty of empty seats and the waitress was sorting the takeout orders. Then another 25min for our food. It’s just a normal weekday. The Yi Bin noodles were nothing like the real thing. Salty and oily. The only good thing was the baby back ribs. Probably won’t come back.

The food here is great; however, my experience was very negative due to the service I had. After ordering take out from the bar while enjoying a drink, I waited 60 minutes to receive the food. After waiting 50-55 minutes, I was informed that one of the items I ordered was no longer available. Given the plethora of great Chinese food spots in the area with similarly great food and much better service, I don’t see myself returning.

Apparently they are part of plenty of cloud restaurant. The food were delicately made and all had really great flavors. We love the cumin ribs, red pork egg noodle and Dan Dan noodles. My friend did however find his buckwheat noodle dish extremely salty. The staff however were amazing, they were super friendly and ensured we enjoyed our dish, also replaced the salty dish with another, no questions asked. The menu is small but every dish looked amazing.

Restaurant
Ping's Dumpling House is a cozy Chinese eatery located in Chinatown-ID, known for its wide selection of Northern dishes and its specialty in dumplings. What started as a small mini mart eventually transformed into a popular restaurant, renowned for its homemade dumplings. While initially recognized for their Shanghai-style soup dumplings, the true gems on the menu are actually Qingdao-inspired dishes such as street food, meat skewers, and an array of dumpling varieties.
Amazing soup dumplings for the price. Would definitely come here again. We had the pork soup dumplings, beef gyozas, a couple of massive pork bao buns, and some green onion pancakes.
Gustavo M — Google review
The filling of the pork and cabbage dumplings were weirdly pink and tasted awful, not sure if they were supposed to be like that or if they weren't cooked or something (you can see in one photo the other fillings for the pot stickers and xiao long bao were a normal colour). The green onion pancake was really weird in texture, almost as if made from gluten free flour or something other than normal flour. The xiao long bao were soggy on the bottom and disintegrated as soon as you picked them up, I'm assuming all the soup bled out and that's why they were dry on the inside (meanwhile the steamed dumplings and pot stickers had a lot of liquid inside). The pot stickers looked good but actually weren't crispy at all. Everything had a weird taste not at all like what you'd expect of these very normal/common asian dishes. I forced myself to eat more of it because I was super hungry and we didn't have time to go elsewhere, otherwise would've just left after the first bite of each thing (which is what my partner did). Can't really comment on service as you just use the QR code and order and pay online. There were only two people at a table when we went in (on a Saturday around 1pm), and they were gushing about how good the food was, so I don't know if maybe we just ordered the wrong dishes or something, but I don't know how you could mess up all 4 of these basic dishes so badly.

Let me start by saying the place is very clean. The service was excellent.Im visiting from Texas and we were looking for a place to eat some good dumplings and my daughter and I happened to park across the street! We decided to go check it out and didn’t disappoint! The lady was so polite and the food was so fresh and good! We will definitely be coming back when we comeback to Seattle in a couple of months!!

The lamb skewers were overly salty and sour, and I honestly wasn’t sure what kind of meat they used. The noodles were very average at best. the waiter didn’t really provide any service and just stood there watching me write the tip.

We order shrimp soup dumplings, chicken potstickers and green onion pancake. And this is the worst dumplings we ever had. All tasted same salty. That’s it no other taste . And pancake is just like eating crispy oil

I went in thinking it was going to be good because of the 3.9 star reviews. I was very wrong. Read the one star reviews and that's our experience. The dumplings were sour? There were bubbles of that seemed to be soap on our dumpling plate??? And the Soup dumplings fell apart when you picked them up, as others have said.... It's also very dirty and sticky. We watched the waitress wipe the table with a rag, and with the same rag wiped the condiment bowls clean. It's not worth the "maybe others just had a bad experience". We didn't even bother taking anything to go, mind you we never waste food and take everything to go.
Jesse B — Google review
Soup dumplings were super dry and ripped instantly when we tried to pick them up. Scallion pancakes tasted like a tortilla with cinnamon sprinkled on top. Everything was incredibly salty and tasted the same. Server forgot our bubble teas that we’d ordered. We tried to get her attention twice and she looked at us and walked away. She finally made our teas as we were getting ready to pay and were trying to cancel the teas. I ordered the guava and it was so sugary; tasted like guava nectar, no tea flavor at all. My friend ordered the lychee and it just tasted like gritty milk. Would NOT go back here again
Brie W — Google review
My boyfriend and I came by here for lunch a few weeks ago and I seriously cannot stop thinking about those chicken soup dumplings. My boyfriend loved the lamb skewers as well! This was my first time having soup dumplings since there is none in my city (😢), my boyfriend has had them many times due to being from a much larger city and he agrees with my love of these dumplings. Ping was incredibly kind and so accommodating! She was not only kind to us, but she was kind and accommodating to multiple people who came in while we were eating, even to a man seeking water for him and his friend. This was notable to me since it is not uncommon for restaurant owners and workers to just tell people no and treat struggling people poorly. I truly do not see or agree with some reviews that spoke negatively of her and called her rude. We unfortunately live about 5 hours from Seattle but we will certainly come back every time we visit Seattle! We got strawberry bubble smoothies on the way out and it was also so delicious! Thank you so much again for your hospitality and I can’t wait for our next visit!

Great Place to come for Ramen. Close to the Subway, food is delicious and pretty good size restaurant to be able to seat people. Server was great, food was outstanding and quick, overall absolutely would come back again!

Finally back open for dine in! Very nice place in the middle of the international district. The karage is probably the best I’ve ever had. Great, crisp edamame very nicely salted. The spicy tan-tan ramen was delicious with quality ingredients and a thick, flavorful broth. Great service and speedy food prep. Will definitely be back!

Modern chill place to hang out in the afternoon and the food is excellent. The soft shelled crab bao was so delicious! Salmon carpaccio and spicy vegan ramen was perfect as well. I would definitely go back and recommend this to anyone looking for new place to try out. We had a late lunch so the place was not busy but I can see how it can easy fill up. My friend had a margarita and an old fashioned so they have a full bar as well as good food.

Casual dining spot serving iron chef morimoto's ramen and roll creations. The tonkutsu broth was packed with complex flavor and the ramen was still springy and slightly firm, a very nice texture. Ajitama was spot on but the chasu I felt was dry and lacked flavor. The softshell bao was delicious, could eat at least four but my waistline and wallet would complain. Happy hr means you should definitely get one of the cocktails and for sure the chicken karaage. It was delicously tender, came with a umami sauce and definitely worth the happy hr price. I thought the duck fat fries were well done except they brought it towards the end of the meal and we were almost full. I think they forgot to put that in and I had to remind them

Holy moly, the ramen here is pretty good! Coming from several years spent living near Nagahama in Fukuoka and eating the original - literally - tonkotsu ramen, Momosan did a pretty spot-on job of serving the tonkotsu ramen i used to eat in Fukuoka. Other dishes like karaage and seaweed salad are nice, but you really need to go for the ramen at this restaurant. Stylishly decorated inside, and there are two levels of seating areas too. Right across the street from the Uwajimaya/Kinokuniya combo location on 5th. Parking is all street and parking meters. Highly recommended!

If you're on the hunt for a laid-back dining experience with a trendy atmosphere, 'Plenty of Clouds' is the place to be. This charming spot features a delightful patio and serves up an array of classic rice and noodle dishes infused with bold Sichuan and Yunnan flavors. The menu boasts mouthwatering options like cumin lamb, dry fried chicken, strange flavor cauliflower, and more. The cocktails are equally impressive; you can even order them for takeout!
This place was great! I thoroughly enjoyed this place. Every dish was tasty, good spice level and flavorful. If I had to comment, I would add a touch more salt and also a jar of spicy chili oil on the table would be a nice option. The twice cooked pork was my favorite, the pork fried rice was good but not my favorite, the yibin burning noodles were also pretty good but could use the spicy chili oil and the cucumber dish was one of my favorite versions I’ve had. The service was also great. She was super helpful in choosing dishes and very attentive. Atmosphere wise it was nice and relaxing but I do wish it was a tad bit less smokier. A little more ventilation would be nice but otherwise it was great. I’ll definitely be going back.

I was interested in the special menu. I liked the eggplant’s unique taste and the grandma potato, but they were a bit expensive. Sadly, the spicy chicken didn’t turn out well. Cutting it into cubes didn’t make the texture better or add more flavor—it just felt strange. The chicken also had a weird smell. Overall, not a good place if you want authentic Chinese food.

I've been here a few times and always have a wonderful experience. The staff is absolutely lovely, welcoming, and attentive. We walked in for dinner on Monday with a group of 6 and got seated immediately. The menu is meant to be enjoyed family style and there are lots of great options to choose from. My group loved the dumplings, dan dan noodles, and short rib the best. There's decent street parking around here and a paid garage attached to the building if you don't want to hunt for a spot.

Great food & portions. The twice cooked pork is flavorful and tender. We got three dishes for two people and had one serving left over. 4 stars because the spiciest noodles as recommended by staff barely had my lips tingling. Even the mapo tofu did not have the spice my husband and I expected.
Asha P — Google review
Nice dishes with authentic Sichuan flavor. I really like the strange flavor broccoli and eggplants, it’s refreshing with decent spiciness. The pork is also pretty good but not as surprising as the appetizer. Definitely a good place to visit for decent Chinese food with reasonable price!

This place is bomb, I enjoy the food so much it has so much flavor in it, we will definitely go back to try more dishes, the drinks we selected with mezcal pair perfectly with our selection of dishes , the amazing waitress took time to explain us about the specific pepper they use for their food. Thanks Plenty of clouds. We were a party of 6 ppl actually the last one of the night and they never rush us to get out of the place, some restaurants do it. Great staff at the noodles station they seem very focus en their jobs.
Fernanda T — Google review
It's not that it doesn't taste good, it's just that it's extremely unpalatable. Don't try to do a job that you don't have the skills to do. It felt awkward to see the chef's confident look while eating. It's not that I can't accept improved Chinese food, but the taste is really hard to swallow. The price is also surprisingly expensive, more than 30 dollars per person. I highly don't recommend it.
Y. D — Google review
I had a great experience here with my large group. The portions were very large and the waitress informed us they were sharing sizes but a lot of us ordered food individually. The burning noodles were great but a bit too heavy on the salt and peppercorns. Cocktails were great too.

Hương Bình Restaurant is a hidden gem that captures the essence of Vietnamese cuisine in a casual setting. Nestled in the heart of Seattle, this eatery has been delighting patrons for over two decades with its authentic dishes inspired by the culinary traditions of Hue, known as Vietnam's old royal capital. The menu features an array of delectable options, including their renowned thap cam soup—a delightful clear pork broth brimming with egg or glass noodles and an assortment of seafood and meats.
Small casual delicious Vietnamese restaurant that was recommended to me by a Vietnamese friend as her go to spot for Bun Bo Hue. I’ve only been a couple times since it’s not super close to home but it’s one of my favorites! Always really good food. $13 for a big bowl of Hu Tieu and $8 for five Banh Beo Chen—both were delicious. I can’t find Hu Tieu in many places here, so was happy to find it on their menu.
Briana B — Google review
I went to Vietnam for the first time in January, I’ve been searching for a place that is comparable to the taste and quality that I experienced out in Ho Chi Minh City and Huong Binh takes me back. The owners are so sweet and relaxed. The food is phenomenal, every bite is a perfect mix of umami and sweet. And the prices are affordable!?? Love it here and it’s now me and my boyfriend’s favorite spot. Can’t wait to try all of their dishes.

This place is AMAZING! Their Banh Beo Chen is delicious and this is the only place I’ve had it served this way. Their Banh Hoi Thap Cam is the main show! Comes with a variety of flavorful meats, fresh veggies with a fresh bed of Banh Hoi noodles. Can’t get enough!! Also, their Bung Mang Vit is packed with duck, their ginger sauce is tasty and the soup that comes with it is so simple but homey. Best of both worlds in one dish. If you haven’t tried this place, you need to! Classic spot that’s been here for years.

I don't recall eating at Huong Binh restaurant before. The pictures on the glass windows invited my wife and me in there. We ordered duck noodle soup, pork chop rice with a fried egg, and a couple of iced cold coffee. The coffee was right on point, it was delicious. The duck noodle soup; soup was good, and the duck is not bad with the ginger fish sauce. It's a bit smaller portion than other places we went to. The rice-pork chop combination can be improved. First of all, the whole plate doesn't look appealing at all. How is the rice sculptured and displayed on a small plate, the egg is overcooked, and everything is crammed up in there. The young man who serves us told that the egg is extra charge while the picture on the wall displayed the whole thing. I told him it shouldn't be, but it doesn't matter we’ll pay for it. Plus I had to order another egg sunny side up. He said to do that they need a special pan to fry it. I said, “No, I'm a cook too.” All you need to do is cook the eggs on low heat and cover a couple of seconds at the end so the yolk is not overcooked. If you flip it over it will be too cooked. He then became quiet. Anyway, I just want them to improve so we can go back and enjoy more food in their restaurant. Additionally, we ordered crepes and spring rolls to go. I told the young server that we want fish sauce and no peanuts sauce. We paid for the bill and took off for Lake Chelan. As soon as we got there we started eating the spring rolls. Both orders have nothing but peanut sauce. It's a lost translation.

Great bun Bo hue in a sketchy neighborhood? You bet your ass the food is good. Hidden gem BBH. I would come back for this.
Don L — Google review
The mi quang was not as dry as it should have been, and the bun bo hue was just okay. The grilled pork was fantastic, however - so probably best to stick to the rice or vermicelli bowls.
Simon T — Google review
Excellent food (my dish was no.48 with egg noodles), truly authentic Vietnamese soup noodles; shrimp rolls surprised me the most as it not only had BBQ pork inside, but the roll were actually warm when served and the wrapping were soft too, which means that they DID NOT get stored in the fridge for a long time before they were served, something that you don't see often in Oregon. Service were a bit slow, me and my friends waited at least 10 more mins before we were served

If you're in the mood for some delicious Vietnamese cuisine, Hương Bình is the place to go. The broken rice with pork is definitely a standout dish - it's absolutely delicious. However, I will say that the restaurant itself could be a bit cleaner. Our table was sticky and the area around us was a bit shady. But during the day it's perfectly fine. The staff is friendly and overall it's a great place to eat.

Chinese restaurant
Sunflower Garden is a cozy Chinese restaurant in Greenwood known for its delicious stir fries, dumplings, and other Chinese classics. While the wait for takeout may be around an hour, the food is definitely worth it. Customers rave about the wontons in chili oil with a white pepper kick and juicy pork filling. The dry style beef chow fun and salt and pepper pork chops are also highly recommended for their fresh ingredients and generous portions.
Amazing Chinese food. Have ordered multiple times and tried a few different things by now. Have never been disappointed so far. The sesame chicken and the the beef chow mein are my personal favourites. You have to either pick the food or get it delivered since there’s no on the spot dining option, but this place is a hidden gem for sure.
Anushua S — Google review
The gyoza was amazing. It's pan fried so half crispy half soft. Super juicy. The pork in the pork chow mein was breaded, which isn't my thing, but it was pretty good. BBQ pork fried rice was surprisingly sweet and had great texture. The General Tso had huge chunks of chicken. It was not quite as crispy as I liked but it was very tasty. The wontons in chili oil was juicy like the gyoza but with the spicyness level turned up! Our order was ready right about as estimated time. You might not want to show up earlier than that as there is not really anywhere to wait inside without crowding the space. We waited in the parking lot and we had a pretty close spot. The lady who attended us was very talkative and very sweet. It seems like it is her and her husband running this place and she is very attentive as soon as you walk in. Would for sure come back, especially for the gyoza! 🥟

Very crisp and crunchy chicken wings. Tried the garlic spice version but didn’t get too much garlic flavor. Will try the spicy next time. Still, they were good and they were big. This is not a dine in establishing. Get it and go.

Really enjoy the green beans with shrimp powder and the pork wontons in spicy sauce! The food is reasonable priced, meat is tender, and everything is well seasoned!
Jasmine G — Google review
The place is literally a hole in the wall. with just a counter to order from. The outside signs are not good, not clear and definitely do not point to the place. You have to guess which door it is and go for it. I ordered the General Tsao Chicken because I thought that this might be good. It was not, it had too much breading on dark meat. The sauce was not that good and the meat was not cooked that good. There was nothing outstanding or different about this traditional dish. Not worth ordering at the price they sell it at. Do not order this, it is not good! I ordered Shrimp Fried Rice, spicy dumplings, and egg rolls also. The fried rice was decent, but the dumplings were ok, they were supposed to be so good, but they were not. The Egg Rolls were all mush. Seems like that they had been frozen too long and then let them thaw and then dropped them in the grease. You are not allowed to modify your dish that you ordered in any way. You cannot add to it and you cannot take a way from it. The prices are not the lowest and the area is not the greatest. But there is nothing here that cost under $15, unless its the mushy egg rolls.

Severely underrated restaurant in the Greenwood area. Highly recommend for takeout if you're craving Chinese-American classics. Everything we ordered was pretty good, but the hakka style chow fun and spicy pork wontons were exceptional!

After seeing the good reviews we decided to try this place out. Very small mom & pop kind of vibe, really friendly service. We got a series of dishes and all were fantastic. The General Tao’s chicken was so moist and full of flavor and the dumplings were excellent. The Sweet & Sour pork was perfectly fried. I’m very impressed and will be coming back!
Jeffdill — Google review
Ordered several items for guests I was having over. Everything was absolutely amazing. The chicken was super crispy on the outside (even with being marinated in sauce) and extremely juicy on the inside. The mapo tofu tasted like a homemade meal you would want to eat on a cozy day. Would highly recommend to anyone craving Chinese food :)

I'd been looking forward to trying this restaurant featuring Georgian food for quite a while. Although ordering the food was a little different (you place your order on a computer screen as you enter), the food was fantastic! I had the eggplant and peppers dish, my brother had the chicken one. They were both so yummy and we will definitely be back! I wish they'd serve beer, though- that's my only complaint! 💙

We were looking for a breakfast spot before heading back down to Oregon and this was the perfect choice. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, offering great recommendations and answering all of my questions. The food was delicious, full of flavor without being overwhelming, and even my toddler loved it. We tried the chicken and the stroganoff and both were fantastic. I only wish they had a simple side salad, but overall it was a wonderful experience and we will definitely be back.

One of the best things I ate in Seattle was this bread boat. Super fluffy and warm bread paired with mellow cheese flavor and bold spices, it was superb! I got the vegetarian and loved it.

What an amazing place you have here! A total gem in the city yet inside doesn’t sound like downtown and the hustle of people. Great atmosphere and wonderful food. Only reason I gave it a nine is the self serve kiosk and not much interacting with the lovely staff. All and all were will be back to try more of your amazing dishes

The stroganoff was... Interesting. Weird flavor and I didn't really feel like the flavors/textures went well together. Would not purchase again. My friend however got the spinach one and it was WAY better. The place has unique food, but certainly not something I would go well out of my way for.

Heard about this restaurant from a friend and WOW! I was so pleasantly surprised at how amazing this dish was! I had never had khachapuri before, but it’s such a great savory option the cheesiness and savoriness of the vegetables in the middle, along with the amazing bread that it sits in is such a great option for even two people to share! Passing by, I probably wouldn’t have gone in just because I’ve never heard of it, but I am so glad I did! It has been a spot I have been to every time I visit Seattle!

Tried chicken khachapuri for the first time. The cheese melts in your mouth and the chicken is delicious. The combination of chicken and cheese is very good. Not to forget, bread is fresh and moist and has a perfect texture. Would definitely recommend it.

Restaurant
Indian-Nepali Kitchen is a hidden gem in North Seattle that offers an authentic and delightful dining experience. The restaurant serves a variety of Nepalese dishes, including chicken Thukpa, momos, and Malai kofta. Customers praise the tender and flavorful chicken, as well as the warm hospitality and reasonable prices. Despite its unassuming appearance from the outside, Indian-Nepali Kitchen surprises diners with its delicious food that captures the true essence of Nepali cuisine.
* Authentic Nepali Food: This restaurant serves genuinely authentic Nepali cuisine that you'd be hard-pressed to find elsewhere in the U.S. The food is served with pride and is absolutely delicious. * Unique Ambiance: The dining space is cozy and uniquely themed. Located in a basement with dim lighting, it creates an intimate atmosphere. However, some may find the enclosed, low-light setting to be a bit claustrophobic. * Exceptional Service: The owner is incredibly polite and welcoming, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. * Parking Challenges: Be prepared for a very difficult parking situation. The lot is small and cramped, making it tough to find a spot and even harder to exit. There is also no open-air seating.

There are momos — and then there are moments that remind you why this humble dumpling has become the soul food of the Himalayas. Nepali-Indian Kitchen on Aurora Ave doesn’t just serve momos; they perfect them. Located near Home Depot and Lowe’s, this unassuming little spot is easily home to the best momos in the entire Pacific Northwest. They offer three styles — steamed, fried, and jhol (in spicy broth) — and each one is a revelation. The steamed momo is the purest form: tender, juicy, and bursting with the aroma of minced chicken, cabbage, and coriander. The dough is soft yet resilient, holding in every drop of flavor. The fried momo adds a beautiful crisp shell that contrasts with the moist filling — it’s the kind of texture play you only get when someone truly knows what they’re doing in the kitchen. And then there’s the jhol momo — the crown jewel. Sitting in a bowl of tangy, spicy, sesame-infused sauce that’s equal parts comforting and fiery, it’s a dish that makes you pause between bites just to savor it. The sauce clings to the dumplings like a story unfolding — nutty, garlicky, bright with chili and tomato, and impossible to stop eating. Every element here feels intentional. The flavors are bold but balanced, the presentation simple but heartfelt, and the people behind the counter serve you like they’re welcoming you into their home. If you’re chasing authentic Himalayan comfort food — the kind that makes you nostalgic even if you’ve never been to Nepal — Nepali-Indian Kitchen is it. Skip the overhyped spots and come here for the real deal. Order all three types of momo, grab a friend, and thank me later.

This Momo place in the PNW is my absolute favorite! The Jhol Momo, along with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian Momo platters, are fantastic and delicious. The chicken and vegetarian stuffing is especially tasty. In the appetizer section, the Chatpate is very flavorful and can be made spicy for those who love a kick. The staff is friendly, and there’s ample parking available.

Momo combo - amazing. Thukpa - very good. Full of flavour, chicken was so soft! Lots of noodles. It was on the salty side. Chowmein - great flavour. Need a side sauce though. I'm going back for sure to explore the Indian side of the menu. The 3 things i tried were right on the money. I usually lean super spicy but i went with just 3/5. It was perfect. Enjoyable and exciting. The flavors were so present - i didn't feel the need to go any higher. Service was great! Polite, Attentive, not too slow not too fast. Beer came when childed frosted glasses! Makes a huge difference! Another little thing: paper napkins are the heavy quality fabric like ones. Cutlery is weighted. A bunch of little things - adding up to make the whole experience just better even though the food can just pull the weight by itself. Cute little place. Cozy seating. Simple decor. TV playing clips of life in the Himalayas. If the owners are reading this : the wine posters are not doing you a favor. I would take them off. Bathroom was clean but a bit dark/gloomy in terms of lighting. Parking is a little tricky. Small parking lot shared with other shops. This place is not dulling down the authenticity or the flavors and spice - yet majority of the customers were white! I love it. Was too busy eating Remembered to take only one picture!

Nice place with great service. We started with the momo combo of which I really liked the steamed and fried ones. The sauce was pretty good as well. We also got the Nepali Thali with lamba which was pretty good as well. The lambs specifically was very flavorful, tender and very tasty. The daal was pretty good as well. We also chicken sekuwa which was pretty tasty as well. It was a bit too salty probably from the Chaat masala added but otherwise pretty good. Portion sizes were also very good and service was very fast.

We went here after reading all the great reviews and ordered the egg chow mein, chicken chili, and chicken momo combo. Don’t get me wrong the momos were great, but everything else felt pretty average. The dishes had way too much red food coloring, which wasn’t appealing, and the food was quite oily, leaving us not feeling the best afterwards. Definitely some room for improvement.

E-Jae Pak Mor is a cozy Thai restaurant located in the International District/Chinatown area. The interior is vibrant and lively, with a Thai pop soundtrack adding to the atmosphere. The menu features photogenic oversized dumplings called pak mor, made with silky rice-flour crepe-noodles and various umami fillings, as well as other authentic Thai street food dishes. Customers have praised the friendly service and helpful recommendations from the staff.
Our group of 4 loved our lunch here. Give the rave reviews we had high expectations and we were not disappointed. The flavors were delectable and stood out. In a city with a plethora of Thai options the menu was unique. Excellent presentation which would have been something we’d have expected in fine dining. Finally, the staff were friendly, helpful and efficient.

E-Jae Pak Mor was a great find! The place itself is nice, though it could be a bit more organized and cleaner. That said, the staff were super friendly and gave amazing recommendations. I had the drunken noodles—flavor was incredible and I was really impressed, though the noodles were a little too soft for my taste. The Lilikoi Iced Tea was absolutely amazing—one of the most refreshing and flavorful drinks I’ve had. I also tried the mango sticky rice, which was pretty good with really fresh mango. Overall, a tasty experience with great service!

We were hoping to find a great place to eat in Chinatown while visiting, it is difficult to choose given the amount of options there are. This place had an “A” rating for cleanliness so that’s a start. Not your classic hole-in-the-wall type of Chinese restaurant, this was a modernized restaurant with an American flare. You order at the counter and you’re given a number and the food is brought to you. The servers were friendly. There is a pitcher of water you can fill up for yourself and serve yourself desired condiments. The portion sizes were big, we all had leftovers. My brother ordered a ramen bowl which made me wish I ordered that. It was flavorful and full of food. I ordered the Pak Mor Yuan, season pork wrapped in steamed noodles. It was pretty bland to my disappointment, and the steamed noodles gave it a weird chewy texture, but I am glad I tried something different. My mother ordered the Pak Mor Rab Rae which had the same seasoned pork mixture as mine but a bit different.

Great spot. Food is delicious. I’m a big chicken rice fan and I have tried many chicken rice spots in Seattle. This place certainly has one of the best chicken rice in the area. Tender chicken meat and rice was very fragrant. The other mushroom pork wrap that we had (can’t remember the exact name) was a well made authentic Vietnamese dish. Only complaint I would have is their overpriced longan drink - very ordinary but was priced at 8 dollars. Wouldn’t recommend the drink.

I was craving for authentic Thai food and this place didn't let me down at all. Thank you for making delicious Thai food for us! We had pad kee mao - a drunken noodles, chicken rice and noodles (clear soup and pink soup). Everything tasted like home 🥹 My friends really liked the food. Everything gone fast 😆 oh but there's not much seat to dine in, you need to wait and find the tabel yourself.

This place is pretty yummy for Thai food. The portions are pretty big for the price. The chicken rice was tasty and the panang curry was quite good. There was Thai pop music playing in the background and the colorful tabletops took me back to Thailand.

I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but this was very disappointing. I ordered the Panang curry and fried chicken, and the chicken was mostly batter, with the meat being extremely dry and overcooked. For nearly $30, it felt like a rip-off. I’d appreciate a response or some form of compensation, and I hope this can be improved for future customers.

Kathmandu MomoCha is a cozy spot filled with the delightful aroma of spices. The chicken Momocha is a standout, featuring tender juicy meatball wrapped in soft dough. While the portion size may be small for the price, each dish is made with love. The cheese balls, a mix of potatoes and cheese, come with an intriguing strawberry dipping sauce. Visitors also praise the pork momo for its well-balanced flavors and thin yet sturdy coating.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Delicious momos! I got some from their food truck at the Urban Craft Uprising Gobble Up food festival in South Lake Union. Perfect ratio of meat to wrapper and delicious seasonings. Generous size. The medium sauce has a nice kick to it without being too much. Overall, highly recommend!

This was my first time trying Nepalese street food, so I don’t have much baseline for comparison. I ordered the lunch combo and fried dumplings. The filling was good and tasty, and I really liked the hot cilantro dipping sauce. It was spicy and really elevated the taste of the dumplings. However, the dough wrapper could be thinner, as it felt a bit too separated from the filling. The mango lemonade tasted a little funny, but it wasn’t a big deal. The portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable. I couldn’t even finish my meal!

Had the 10 Beef & Pepperjack Cheese Momo's from this place Mostly, it was pretty solid. The momos are on the larger side - so 10 of them is a lot of food. Each one comes shaped and wrapped well, with a ball of ground beef on the inside The wrapping was decent - it managed to hit the mix between being dry and way too wet. Each momo felt like it had a bit too much dough though I liked the ground beef balls. They had some fat to them, were seasoned pretty well, and retained some juice. The beef was probably my favorite part of this dish On the downside, the cheese in the name was completely missing. There might have been hints of it at points, but this might as well just have been Beef Momos - as there was basically zero pepperjack cheese at all to be found. This contributes to my second point - which is that these felt quite empty once you got past the wrapper, excepting for the beef. There just wasn't anything in addition to the meat in this What I did like though, was the hot sauce. This was very cilantro-forward, and quite pleasantly spicy. For the price of around $19, it's somewhat expensive - but 10 momos do give you around 100g ground beef, and the momos themselves are still large Also the complimentary mango pudding was nice, but I can't say I liked it that much Overall, it's a fine place for momos, and probably worth a stop, but nothing to write home about. 7.25/10

First time trying Nepalese dumplings! I got the lunch combo and enjoyed getting to try two different types of dumplings. The garlic fries were good too. I wish the hot sauce was spicier but all in all this was great

I haven't had good dumplings in years because I'm gluten free. THESE WERE AMAZING!!! I'll be coming here every time I visit Seattle from now on, omg.

We recently visited Kathmandu Momocha and had an amazing experience! We tried the chicken momo, vegan momo, and Himalayan fries, and everything was delicious. The momo were incredibly juicy, fresh, and full of flavor. You can really tell they are made with care and quality ingredients. The vegan momo were just as tasty as the chicken ones. The Himalayan fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned, a great side to go along with the momos. Out of all the places we've tried, these are truly the best momos in Seattle. We will definitely be coming back again soon. Highly recommend this spot to anyone craving authentic and flavorful Nepali food!
