If you love food, Tanta is definitely worth a visit. With a wide selection of dishes to choose from, the restaurant is perfect for all tastes. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the view of the ocean is awesome. Prices are very reasonable too!
Delicious cuisine with amazing views. This restaurant was recommended by both locals and other travelers. It did not disappoint in the least. They only serve breakfast and switch to lunch / dinner at noon, so we waited with drinks for a little while. Delicious juices and cocktails. The chicken stir fry noodles saltado were delicious and huge. The view is right over the cliff to beach and surfers below. Wonderful service.

Turned up without having booked a table, seated quickly. Was asked to love to accommodate a large booking which we were more than happy to. They did offer two free deserts which was most pleasing. Large menu with many options. The service was fast and pleasant and the food was delicious. My second favourite meal in Peru!
Sion O — Google review
Excellent - and huge portions. This was a great choice. Peruvian-Asian fusion cuisine (well, more either Asian or Peruvian dishes rather than fusion), but really good nevertheless. Super friendly and attentive service. Would definitely come back, food was super tasty and portions VERY generous. Loved it. TANTA, well done.
Ronny W — Google review
The last two days, I have had two breakfast visits and one dinner at Tanta. I loved the breakfast, with really the best breakfast in a long time. Accompanied with Maracuya (Passion fruit) juice - of course. Tonight we had dinner there and the best was the Lomo saltado. We also had a really good chicha morada with the dinner. We were so full from the dinner (huge portions), so we will come back tomorrow and try some of the temting cakes. Or maybe an ice cream. I highly recommend eating at Tanta. The cutlery was good and the knives were sharp. The waiters were well trained and polite and efficient. Really good and efficient service. Last, but not least: Tanta is a very clean place, and l appreciate that very much.
Alfhild H — Google review
Larcomar Top Level Restaurant with gorgeous views. Plenty of dishes and desserts to choose from with a full bar. I had the Combinado, a large plate of rice, chicken, potato, corn and fried banana - very tasty! Add a glass of sangria and it was a wonderful meal. There are lots of sweet treats to choose from for dessert, but I was too stuffed to try them… next time!
Kristian P — Google review
OMG, they said Peruvian food was one of the world’s best but they’re not kidding. This food was incredible, like - hard to believe. And the portions were massive. And the ambience was spectacular. One of the most memorable times ever.

One or the best food that I have had during my days in Lima. Food was extremely delicious, my entree was a marvelous thing that I was wo enchanted with every single bite. I couldn't be more happy. Service was very good, but the food blinds you immediately after the first bite. Make yourself a favor and go have food here! You're welcome!
Raul M — Google review
Don't be fooled that Tanta is in a tourist area, Chef Gastòn Acurio truly knows what he's doing! The food is carefully and artfully prepared, with special attention to detail. My wife had the Risotto with shrimp (langostina) which was creamy and perfectly seasoned. My Pink Trout was perfectly cooked, and was served on a bed of corn puree. I would have loved 10 more slices of the tomato it was that good, and the rice and sweet potato perfectly complimented the dish and gave you something to scoop up all that wonderful flavor with!! ¡Bellissimo! Gracias por un plato perfecto.

La Picantería is a renowned restaurant in Lima that offers cuisine from Arequipa, Peru's charming third city located in the southern Andean foothills. In Arequipa, picanterias are a way of life and typically open only for lunch, serving a variety of dishes including seafood and meaty options like chicharron (fried pork).
La Picantería is a gem in Lima. The vibe is super relaxed, with bright-colored walls, rustic decor, and a really authentic, welcoming atmosphere. Perfect for going with friends or for a more chill lunch. The food was amazing: we had a super fresh salad with avocado, tomato, and lettuce, and a fish dish with golden potatoes in an incredible sauce full of crispy garlic and chili. Everything was beautifully presented and full of flavor. They also have a great little bar area with a nice wine selection and cocktails — it adds a cool, lively touch to the experience without being overwhelming. The glass of white wine we had was the perfect match for the food. Definitely a place I’ll come back to and keep exploring. Highly recommend!
Andrés V — Google review
Nothing extraordinary! Waiting time 40min. I think they prioritise locals over tourists although no reservations are possible. No English menu but some staff speaks English and helped us with the order. The concept is to choose the fish/seafood and the cooking method. The kitchen is downstairs which is not very efficient for a restaurant especially when they don’t have a lift for the food. Staffs need to go down and up all the time. Extremely loud music. The dishes arrived quickly and seemed to be fresh. Not bad seafood but I think some are overpriced compared to the same food we can find in Europe (especially lobster ~€65/kg) Too small plates to eat the dishes, zero service to replace or give tissues.
Sébastien — Google review
A must!! Open only for lunch and offers fresh seafood… the ambiance, the service and the food can be an industry standard. We loved every dish we had and every other dish we saw on others table looked amazing!! The portions are big so sharing is totally fine. Drinks are delicious as well. La Picanteria is already in Top50 restaurants’ discovery list and one of the best restaurants in Lima!!
Ali C — Google review
Small place, super fresh sea food and amazing flavours….the preparation was very good and the service was top class. Reached at 12pm sharp and there were people waiting to get a table. Had a 1kg lobster that was good for 4 and 4+ 4 razor clams grilled with 2 different sauces. The Bloody Mary with Pisco was perfectly Did not try any of the beers though.
Girish H — Google review
Amazing food and great pisco sours! We did have to wait a very long time for a table though, so make sure you have time to spare. You can have a drink at the bar while you wait.
Pari S — Google review
Food and service is excellent. Menu options are good if you have the secret decoder. I recommend the Jalea, Shrimp with garlic and butter and of course the ceviche, all pictured.

La Picantería, housed in a rustic mansion. La Picanteria is a lunch only restaurant serving seafood in casual sitting. The Ceviche here is praised for but I found it to be average.

Vegan restaurant
Coffee shop
Raw Café, located in Miraflores, is a small plant-based eatery with an attached organic store. The menu features a variety of creative and fulfilling meals made with earth-grown ingredients. From wraps made with dehydrated mangoes and flax seeds to pizzas with cashew cheese and caramelized onions, there are options for breakfast, lunch, tea time, and early dinner.
This is a pet friendly vegetarian place. The ambience was quiet, the tables spaced out with enough comfort and seats, well decorated, very clean. We went a bit late, around 7:30pm and they were supposed to close at 9pm. The waiter was very kind in giving us a kind reminder at 830pm to make our last food orders, and waited us to finish 15 more minutes over his shift. The food was great, very filling, well-served, it smell great, good prices for its nutrition balance. Would recommend and come back again too
M — Google review
For vegan food this place is really nice. We ordered the falafel wrap which was good and the scrambled tofu which the taste was incredibly close to an egg. The size of the dish was really satisfying and generous. We also ordered the Carmelo frappe which was too sweet for my liking but highly recommended to whoever like super sweet coffee. The pricing is very fair as well.
Shir I — Google review
This was a nice spot for a healthy lunch. Their smoothies were delicious, I can recommend the almond milk smoothie. The food was fresh and tasty, everything was of course very healthy. The staff was friendly and we had our food quite quickly. The prices are on the higher side for Peru. A great place for a quick bite.
Sam H — Google review
Nice staff. Clean and modern cafe with wifi. Very extensive menu for vegans. I got the caramel frappe but it was way too sweet for my personal taste, with a couple flavours I wasn't used to. The Choco Bowl was more oat based than I expected ( was imagining it to be more smoothie based), and again too sweet. But I'm still rating quite highly cause the menu was super extensive and very exciting for any vegans in Lima.
Lucie P — Google review
We had lunch at this beautiful establishment and the food was absolutely delicious. Very filling too. And the drinks are absolutely lovely and very good for you. Staff was super friendly and helpful with recommendations! Great recommendations I was feeling uneasy in my stomach (due to flights) and the green juice just made me feel so much better. Thank you for the lovely food and service! Ps. They have english menus which is a plus

Tasty and healthy vegetarian meal. I had the Raw Brownie for dessert — gluten-free and still full of flavor, though the slight minty aftertaste wasn’t really my thing
Eve S — Google review
I loved all the vegan options. It was so hard to choose. The food is very fresh, colorful, and alive. This is the type of food that's good for the soul. I'll be back. If you are thinking about visiting, give it a try!

Nestled in a charming neighborhood, Terra Cuina is a delightful culinary gem that beckons food lovers for its inviting atmosphere and diverse menu. On my recent visit, I was pleased to find an array of options, from refreshing starters like their exceptional tomato soup reminiscent of gazpacho to hearty main dishes featuring the catch of the day or succulent pork and chicken plates. The dessert selection also offers tempting choices, including the classic crema catalana.
Had a great 3 course dinner for 40 soles Saturday night. Very stylish restaurant with nice view. Had the smoked trout salad for entree and lomo for main, both excellent. Great value.
Ming T — Google review
Catalan place in Mirafloes near Malecon. Glasses windows attract people with high ceilings and open kitchen. The food isn’t very impressive though. Some of the dishes were different from the ones found in Lima easily but that’s about it. The place was bit noisy from a group but the staffs didn’t seem to bother. Wouldn’t return for the time being.
Antonio Y — Google review
Don't be in a hurry as the Service runs at a snail's pace. Variety of Spanish dishes is limited so I started with the usual go-to of langostinos al ajillo to see how this would go and...it went south fast as they were not longostinos but somewhat of a cross between popcorn and cocktail shrimp that were old and smelled of ammonia. I ordered the Mediterranean salad as salads are difficult to ruin but I was mistaken as the tuna dumped on too was from a can, the olives tasted like old bar cocktail olives and the eggs were not fully cooked. Mama Mia!!!
Mike U — Google review
Our favorite neighborhood stop with great tapas and a good wine selection. Intimate and romantic within a wall of windows for watching the world go by. Great service!
Minka _ — Google review
Our favorite restaurant while in Lima. We had to go twice. The lady speaks great English and explained menu well. The cannelloni’s are to die for. Delicious!!

Had a great dinner. We had the 50 soles menu. Starter main and desert. All very good. A little light on salt, but they have great tasting rock salt you can ask for. You can order drinks or bring your own bottle of wine as we did. Great fun. Highly recommended.

The authentic Indian restaurant Dhaasu Cocina Delhi always makes you feel at home, with its delicious food and friendly staff. The butter paneer dish is especially popular, as are the naans - perfect for getting your hands messy! There's also plenty of other Indian classics on the menu to choose from. So if you're looking for a great bite of India, look no further than Dhaasu Cocina Delhi.
Very good tasting Indian food. Curries and Naan bread are amazing! Very friendly staff and fast service. Highly recommend this place for good quality Indian food. Only downside was we found it to be a little expensive for what it is. 104 soles for two chicken curries, one garlic naan and no drinks.
Danny M — Google review
The place has hippy vibes with dim lit ambiance. I went for Mango Lassi and a couple of combos which had paneer tikka masala, daal makhni, naan and rice. Lassi was nice and not overly sweet. The curries were slightly spicier but you can ask to tone it down if you want. But I liked the taste of it. Seatings were a little congested and prices are on slightly higher side. It can cost 120-150 Soles for 2 persons for a meal here.
VIPUL T — Google review
Great place to try Indian food as a beginner. Good services and good atmosphere. However, if you have tried Indian food in other locations such as US, London, or India itself you might feel they could add a little more spices and cream to the curries. But not bad, it was just a feeling. Also, I would suggest if you guys can import some Indian beer like Kingfisher and/or if you could play more Indian music instead of Peruvian / Latin music as another review suggested.
Raul M — Google review
It was a nice experience eating here. The restaurant looks nice, and the plates and accessories match the theme. I like the open kitchen style. We ordered several plates, and the dishes arrived quickly. The garlic naan was really delicious, as well as the basmati rice. The butter chicken and the chicken masala tasted good, but they didn't remind us of the authentic taste that we experienced at another location in Lima. They were still delicious, just not what we expected. The vegetarian dishes with cheese were also good. The service was kind and fast, however, they told us 5 minutes before closing that they would be closing in 5 minutes. It would have been a more pleasant experience if they had told us when we ordered that they would be closing in xx minutes so that we didn't have to rush at the end.
Alice Z — Google review
**4/5 for a hip vibe and standout dishes!** This place is fantastic—it blends a trendy, street-style ambiance with a touch of sophistication. The traditional thali serving style adds authenticity to the experience. We ordered the **Meat Lovers Combo (S./128)** and an extra **Garlic Naan (S./10)**. The staff recommended the Butter Naan over the Garlic Naan, and they were absolutely right—the garlic flavor overpowered the dishes, while the Butter Naan complemented them perfectly. Portion-wise, the combo was generous enough for two; we left completely full, especially after the included dessert. **Highlights & recommendations:** - The **Butter Chicken** was phenomenal—a solid 5/5! It’s the best I’ve had in the area. - The **Meat Masala** was decent (3/5), though it paled in comparison after tasting the Butter Chicken. - The **Kebab** was the weakest part of the meal—dry and underwhelming. Consider swapping it for another dish if possible. For drinks, the **Mango Lassi** was reliably delicious, while the **Rosa Delhi** was refreshing but just okay. Overall, this spot delivers high-quality Indian food in a vibrant setting. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. Highly recommend for a flavorful meal!

We had just come off the Inca Trail and were craving a change from our usual meals. Even though we weren’t that hungry, we couldn’t help but keep eating because everything was that good! The setting is beautiful and thoughtfully designed, dimly lit with great attention to detail in the branding. Both the food and drinks were incredible. Definitely recommend

We were on lima to start our 2 weeks tour across Peru . We are so happy we tried the food at this place . It is a dhaba style , so don’t expect much about seating or table service .. food is great though . We ordered veg combo , which came with an appetizer, 2 Curies , naan , desert.. all are very tasty . We also tried the vada pav( not sure what it was called on the menu ), but it tasted really good . You can see the chefs cooking in front of you, they are keeping the place hygiene and fast at service . The place the restaurant is located is bit shady though . Overall , it was very good experience with good though

We were in Lima after our week long trek of Salkantay and Inka trail. We wanted to have some Indian food after having local food for past several days. We are so happy we tried the food at this place . It was a dhaba style, so no one should expect much about seating or table service, food was great though . We ordered a few combo. Tandoori chicken, sheek kebab, daal. Every dish was prepared well. The daal was cooked well, was flavorful. Chilly naan was really good. It was good to see the food is being cooked right in front of us. We had a nice chat with the chef as well. The location of the restaurant is not the best. The seating was not comfortable as well, not at all convenient especially when you are in a group and want to share food. Overall , it was not a great experience though the food was good.

With three upscale locations in the Miraflores neighborhood, Veggie Pizza boasts an inviting atmosphere adorned with impressive wine racks. Delicious pizza! The variety of flavours is amazing. The textures are also fun and different, not your typical pizza but that also does not mean it's bad. Finding gluten free vegan options this good in Lima is not easy!! The staff are also kind and attentive. Beautiful space.

When it comes to pizza, everyone has a different taste. But for me, this one was better than expected. Especially when it comes to vegan version. They make their own with cashew cheese. Delicious. Thin and crisp crust with fresh ingredients. Lots of options to choose from or pick your own toppings to customize. Great job!

I ordered delivery via rappi, not only did my food arrive cold (they are literally only blocks away from my apartment) they delivered portions that do not match with what is offered and charged me as if they did. The brownie is a sliver of almost nothing. If you want to be ripped off this is the place for you. Never again.

We got a pizza with 4 different flavours today. It was absolutely delicious!! I can recommend the flavours with tomato confit - it’s sweet and salty! Very nice combination.

The best thing is the squirrel that lives in the tree in the middle of the restaurant. I had high hopes for this place, but the pizza crust was an awful cracker. It’s sad that such a good idea of a restaurant was so poorly executed.

Fully vegetarian, all options available with vegan home made cheese as well Very cousy place in central Barranco. Great selection of artesanal beer, and very interesting choices of pizzas. The pizzas are not traditional pizzas, but a kind of innovative gourmet style Pizza. A must try, highly recommended!

Rue is a charming neighborhood restaurant located in Barranco, Lima, offering some of the finest cuisine in the area. The Langostinos al Ajillo, a dish featuring prawns cooked in olive oil, garlic, black butter and cherry tomatoes served with freshly baked bread, is a must-try. The restaurant provides both indoor and outdoor seating options for guests to enjoy their meals.
One of the best Salmon Sandwich’s I’ve ever had. Recommendation, please try it out. I’ve also had a smoothie, dankt recommend this unfortunately. Thus, only 4 stars on food. Quick and fast, friendly and helpful service. Ambiente also nice, located next to a street within Barranco, quite central.

This is a delightful little cafe at the corner of the street. Great atmosphere. I asked for my coffee to be served very hot but it arrived lukewarm. So they put it into the microwave instead of making me a fresh cup. That says a lot about their service standards and work ethic/pride of the staff.

Fernanda was the best waitress! She was attentive and answered our many questions. The food was magnificent!!

We were lucky enough to stumble upon this place on our walk back from the Bridge of Sighs. We were looking for an authentic place with a warm welcoming feel and this was perfect! The drinks, food, and service were excellent. Thank you especially to the staff for taking the time to talk with us and letting us practise our bad Spanish. We will return and we will always recommend this restaurant!!!!

We went here for dinner and had quiet an eventful evening. The table we were seated had some plant around it which was making me itchy, they were kind enough to move us to a table of 4. After a while we mentioned that someone was smoking on the patio and the smoke was coming to our table - they politely asked the customer to stop and it was taken care of. The chicken that was ordered has a garnish of some kind of seeds, which was not mentioned in the menu. My partner cannot eat seeds and they not only replaced the whole dish but also gave us a complimentary drink to make up for the inconvenience. We were extremely satisfied with the service, the staff is simply great. The food is nice too and it is a more affordable option amongst the super experienced restaurants around. My partner noted that their plate was small for it being a main course and that they were hungry even after eating.

Katherine was an excellent server, she went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met. One person in our party is gluten free and she made sure each dish was adjusted correctly. The food was delicious!

(Translated by Google) UPDATE DECEMBER 2020: Their location in Jockey is no longer open, at the moment only the location on Av. Primavera, Surco is working. The place is a little hidden, since it is more or less on the fifth level of the parking lot (in the Coworking part of the jockey), in general the place is super nice, the decoration is beautiful and they serve you very well. I ordered a veggie burger and it was delicious (from 1-10, I would put it at 6), they let you choose some accessories to add, which have no additional cost, but don't order onion rings because the flavor is lost with the burger and although they mention that it is breaded, it doesn't feel at all. A mistake of mine when choosing sauces was to ask for the "BBQ" sauce, since unless you love tomato, I don't recommend it, because it is literally just liquefied tomato... On the other hand, mayonnaise is the most delicious thing in life . The chickpea burger was not my TOP, since it is below Papachos' vegan burger, which is from another world, the burger is accompanied with native potatoes. To be my second vegan burger, it was delicious, although if you want to try a delicious veggie burger, I recommend the Papachos one, you won't regret it. The sweets are a special point, the chocolate cake is rich and not at all cloying, while the waffles with ice cream and fruits on top were good, although in some areas it felt a bit raw, it was not something terrible to say that they are awful. I give the chocolate cake a 10/10 (if you love desserts that are hyper gooey, you may not like it very much), I give the waffles a 8/10. Update as of November: The menu has changed a little although in general terms it is the same, so if you haven't been in at least 2 months you will notice the change in the menu. Although the first times I went until this month, I had given it 5 stars, now I lowered it to 3 because at least one dish on the menu has varied quite a bit and the change is for the worse, the ice cream that came with toppins, now you They put less cocoa nibs, the strawberries and blueberries are now placed only as decoration and the "ice cream" now has no consistency and is more watery, the last 3 times I went I definitely regretted ordering it, because the change to how they gave it to you Before it is super noticeable.

(Translated by Google) There is vegan food and it is delicious, it tastes good, with medium portions. The place is small and it may take them a while to serve you, I had to raise my hand several times for them to come and take my order. The prices are moderate, it is not expensive. If you are in the jockey plaza it is a good option to go. If you are looking for more homemade vegan food with large portions, this is not the best place. The place is a little hidden, close to the parking lot. ...... We went on Saturday, September 28 around 2 and 3 pm, and if I remember correctly there were only two ladies serving. I had the letter for quite some time and when I passed the word to them I think they didn't listen to me because no one came closer. About 2 more couples came in after me, and even they ended up taking their order before us. The truth is I waited a long time. We passed the word to a lady with a light complexion, but she never listened to us. After a long time, the other lady with a darker complexion and a little short, attended to us. Even our order came incomplete because they gave us one of the burgers without the burger, they had to pick up the order and finish preparing it. The funny thing is that after placing the order, about 15 or 20 minutes had passed and the lighter-skinned lady approached us to ask if we were going to order. That is to say, if the dark-skinned lady did not come to take our order, we would have had to wait much longer than we had already expected. I believe that this also shows a lack of communication between the serving staff. Yes, it would be great if they improved that aspect. Thank you for taking the time to ask what happened.

(Translated by Google) Compared to the espresso that is available in spring, it is a total difference, since we ordered the very chocolatey glass and it came melted so much that it seemed like a smoothie, many would believe that the service at the jockey would be better. But the service at the spring location is much better since they recommend things to you. (Original) Comparado con el espressate que hay en primavera, es total diferencia, ya que pedimos la copa chocolatisimo y nos vino derretido tanto asi que parecia batido, muchos creerian que en el jockey seria mejor la atención. (Translated by Google) Good attention, the fettuccini were not that bad, what simulates the meat in the sauce on top is delicious, the only thing I didn't like very much was the onion, I suggest that you cook the onion a little more or cut it a little thinner now Because they are thick, they itch and don't leave a good feeling, then everything else is delicious 😋.
