Legitimately one of the best meals we have ever had. Every detail was done so well. An incredible variety of flavors and techniques used across Peruvian and Japanese cuisines. Service was excellent, drinks were delicious (Piscos are the go to). We were here for 3 hours but it never felt too long. Highly recommend coming in if you can get a reservation, but also worth calling them to see if they have a sushi bar seat open as well (more likely earlier in the day when they open). Fantastic all around.

After being on the waiting list for a while, we decided to try our luck as a walk in customer. We were so fortunate that there was a slot and we were able to have an early dinner. As the 2025 number one restaurant in the world, we had high expectations. The staff were professional, friendly and explained clearly how we should eat each dish to get the best culinary experience. Each dish gave an amazing taste that is hard to describe and it is no wonder that this is the top restaurant in the world. All dishes were amazing, but my favourite was the scallop with urchin.

We visited the restaurant for the Maido Experience after it got given the #1 Restaurant in the World Award and were not disappointed at all. It was a truly unique experience from the moment we walked in until we left, from the staff greeting until the last goodbye. The restaurant is very tastefully decorated, with exquisite table setting and plates. The dining experience was phenomenal, with 14 different wonderful bites to try, each one with an amazing taste, texture, presentation, combination of flavours and of course a wonderful introduction by our waiter. It took us about 2 hours to go through each dish, with the perfect timing in between dishes for you to eat, savour, take in, enjoy and discuss with your friends. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and can’t wait to come back, next time maybe to focus on a dish or two. We consider ourselves very fortunate for having the opportunity to experience something like this. Thank you Misha for making it possible. ❤️

The first three appetizers were decent, but starting from the Cebiche, everything became overly salty — surprisingly so for a restaurant ranked World’s Best Restaurant No. 1. As someone who enjoys fine dining, I appreciate when chefs use seasoning to elevate the natural flavours of high-quality ingredients. Unfortunately, here the salt seemed to take the lead role. The toro, marinated in soy sauce, was far too salty. We shared our feedback with the staff and requested the remaining dishes to be less salty, but the “Costa Sur” fried seabass that followed was instead overly sweet while still carrying excessive saltiness. In addition, the lighting with the thick hemp-rope ceiling décor made the ambience feel dim and heavy, and the air circulation was poor, making the dining room rather stuffy — not ideal for such a highly rated fine dining experience. I’ve dined at multiple Michelin restaurants, 1 to 3 stars, and this experience fell short of expectations. The chef team should really review the seasoning balance and overall dining comfort. This was meant to be one of the highlights of my Peru trip, but sadly, it turned into a disappointment.

Such a fun and tasty dinner! The experience was great.. each course was delicious, a little adventurous, and my favorite part was the use of texture in every dish!! They are booked constantly so their reservations are strict and they should be! Timing of dishes was great and the sake selection is good.

The presentation and creativity at Maido are absolutely world-class—each dish looked like a piece of art and told a story. The ambiance is modern, stylish, and comfortable, perfect for a high-end dining experience. We had the tasting menu, and about 75% of the dishes were excellent—balanced flavors, elegant textures, and surprising combinations. However, a few items leaned a bit too salty for our taste, which slightly threw off the balance. Despite that, the service was impeccable, and the pacing of the courses was spot-on. The attention to detail in both the plating and the service really shows why Maido is one of the top restaurants in Lima. Would still recommend it for a unique culinary experience—just be prepared for some bold seasoning. Solid 4 stars!

Same as Maido, I left rather dissapointed food-wise. There was nothing wrong about it, but at the same time, there was nothing special about it. The experience on the other hand, was quite unique. Also a beautiful garden! One more issue I had was that the tip is not included, which I would honestly expect given the already very high price.

The Best Dining Experience in the World Central is, without a doubt, the number one restaurant on the planet. The tasting menu is a beautifully choreographed journey through Peru’s diverse landscapes—from the Amazon to the Andes to the Pacific. Dishes like “Extreme Altitude” and “Amazonian Water” are not only exquisite in flavor, but also rooted in deep cultural and ecological meaning. The presentation is stunning, and each plate tells a story. The service and coordination were absolutely perfect, making the entire experience seamless. This is a fabulous experience. They are so meticulous with every detail. It was wonderful to watch the bustle of the open kitchen, like a show. All the dinner ware and serving plates/dishes were so delicate and beautiful. And I love their theme of sourcing food from all altitudes in Peru. Most of the ingredients I have never heard of or tried before, so it was really intriguing. The service and atmosphere was definitely fit for a number one restaurant of the world. But I personally feel the food fell a little short. There’s prob a reason why every part of different animal and plants are not eaten, because it doesn’t taste great. But Central wanted to incorporate all parts into the meal. In the end it has the taste great and a few dishes did fall short. We also had a server who did not speak English very well and I couldn’t understand her explain the dish.

And finally Central. The flagship restaurant of legendary Peruvian Chef Virgilio Martínez. The restaurant is known for its contemporary interpretation of Peruvian cuisine using modern techniques. Each dish represents a specific Peruvian ecosystem, defined by altitude, ranging from below sea level to the high Andes. Central was crowned the world’s best restaurant for many years. The tasting menu typically features 12 courses. The dishes were “academic”; beautifully crafted but not always memorable in flavour cohesiveness. The experience is experimental with lot of effort in carving visually appealing dishes but the final outcome is confusing. One leaves without understanding what food did he have. The dining room is bright, minimalist, and open, with stone tables, floor-to-ceiling windows, and an open kitchen

We were welcomed with warm towels, seated at a beautiful table designed with privacy in mind, and immediately noticed how attentive the service was. Every course came with its own unique cutlery and a small theatrical demonstration – sometimes a book with QR codes explaining the plants, sometimes an entire octopus or stones representing the Andean landscape. Even small gestures, like discreetly wiping drops of water on the table or changing napkins when leaving the table or before desserts, showed remarkable attention to detail. The 12-course tasting menu was extraordinary. Each dish represents a different altitude of Peru, from the depths of the sea to the highest Andes. It was an amazing experience. The food and presentation were spectacular. It was one of the best Michelin restaurants I’ve visited. I have learned a lot about Peruvian cuisine and their ingredients. The service was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, they answered all of my questions and even let me try some of the raw fruits separately. I highly recommend to put it on your list while in Lima, it was definitely the highlight for me.

Astrid y Gastón is hands down my favourite restaurant in Lima. I have to come here each time I'm visiting. They have all classic peruvian dishes, but with a little twist. These are the better versions of already tasty dishes. I especially love banana and fried egg extension of lomo saltado. The seating area in the middle is beautiful and combination with the music makes unforgettable atmosphere. Reservation is recommend (reservations are usually seating indoor, so not in the middle with the tree). 5 out of 5.

Make sure you reserve your table in advance as this restaurant fills up even on weekdays. I absolutely loved eating here. The restaurant several different eating areas on different levels, so it does not seem as crowded or full as it really is. The table are spaced far enough not to feel claustrophobic and the overall volume of the restaurant is good enough to be able to conduct a conversation with your table mates without shouting. All, absolutely all, the cocktails, dishes, appetizers, and desserts we ordered were delicious. Service was very attentive, and helpful. Or server spoke fluent English and was able to describe it dishes perfectly. This restaurant is a must when traveling to Lima

I was able to be seated by myself at the bar right when the restaurant opened for the night without a reservation. The server was very helpful in suggesting things for me to try and how much food would fill me up. Staff, including the bartenders, were all very well informed about the menu, ingredients and their origins. I liked the decorations and the fact that you are dining in open air. Everything that I did order was tasty, unique, and presented very well with beautiful, colorful plating. Dishes came out quickly so I was able to order one or two things at a time and order more as I needed. The cocktails were also inventive and well executed, a bit boozy but very rounded and tasty. The suckling pig taco that I had stood out, but I would get everything that I tried again. Living in an area where there are many Michelin star restaurants, I would say that this place could have 1 star and I would feel it was appropriate. I like how straightforward Peruvian food is and I felt this restaurant did a great job at having a lot of the classic flavors in an elevated way.

This restaurant is in open air space, I mean the inside space is just as cold as sitting on the outside spaces. If I’ve known that I would have wear a warmer jacket to dinner instead of just a dress shirt. Few of us in our group were cold during the whole lovely dinner. The interior space is very pretty and sitting by the kitchen was a bonus, we get to see them cook and do magic with our food. All I remember was the food was excellent but I was cold.

This building is jaw droppingly beautiful, especially in the evening when bathed in the splendor of countless candles and dim lights, simply gorgeous! Food was delicious, loved everything I ordered especially the small bites. I rarely care about atmosphere, but this place is something special! Will definitely be back next time I'm in Lima!

Service and ambiance was 10/10. Personally I thought the food was ok. For this price point I wanted to be blown away however I was not. Don't get me wrong, it wasnt bad by any means. But wasnt spectacular taste. Probably would bot return but this would be a great spot for a date. My favorite bite was the cuy appetizer bite. That was a 9/10.

We enjoyed the special 8-course tasting menu at Astrid & Gastón and it exceeded our expectations. Each dish was beautifully presented, well-executed, and full of flavor. The service was attentive and professional, and the elegant setting of Casa Moreyra made the evening even more memorable. A truly special dining experience that we look forward to revisiting in the future.

Tried tonight after reading the good reviews. We turned up after 17:30 without reservation (on Sundays they close at 19) and got a table upstairs. We ordered the Ají de Gallina and the Seco de Asado de Tira con Arroz y Frijoles. Both were excellent. The portions are super generous: we had a choice between a personal and a sharing portions - please trust me and stick with the personal, we're keen eaters but two dishes could easily have fed 3 people! I had a Pisco Sour, also excellent albeit extremely expensive at S/42 each - that's completely unjustified as I had the same at nearby Canta Rana for S/28. Service was fast and professional & the ambiance lovely. Highly recommend you try this place & I would definitely return. However, if it's ceviche you're after, I would suggest Canta Rana nearby for more choice and better price points.

This is lovely slightly posh restaurant with traditional peruvian dishes. Service was nice, and the location is lovely. The food was excellent and generous. I would strongly recommend to make a reservation (we were lucky and couple of minutes later the queue started to form outside). I would come again.

I went alone and put my name on the list, then came back an hour later and got seated. Unfortunately, the table I was given was awkward and not very comfortable. The service felt purely transactional: they took my order, brought the food, never checked in to see if I liked it, and then asked for a tip. The crispy fish sandwich was very crunchy and salty but lacked depth of flavor. Even with mayo, it felt dry and unbalanced. The beef dish had tender meat, but it was also quite salty, and the fries in the sauce made it feel oily and heavy. On the plus side, the portions were generous. The experience wasn’t terrible, but for the hype around this place, it felt overrated and underwhelming.

An authentic experience in Lima both for food and a friendly atmosphere. Most of the food can be shared by two people and the main dishes by an entire family! They have a dark lager! It’s a local beer, Cusqueña Negra, and I recommend it for those who like dark beer. Diet Coke here is Coke Sin Azucar (Coke with no sugar). Yes, they have a full bar. So you can get your pisco sour and ceviche at this place. We were blessed to have Yul as a server and he was very patient with us. He explained every dish and even had good recommendations for us. We’re not big eaters so it was very helpful So we don’t waste food. He helped us share our dishes to the next table since it was too much and we didn’t want it to go to waste. Señor Maximo and Señorita Ariana by the door helped us get seated at the second floor. It was quieter and you can relax a lot more than seeing the waiting crowd downstairs. Definitely a must when you’re in Barranco!

A wonderful dining experience! We chose this restaurant based on previous reviews, and it certainly lived up to expectations. We shared an entree and a main between two, as previous reviews indicated that portion sizes were generous — and indeed they were. The dishes ordered were tantalising and full of flavour. The pisco sour was also generous (and strong) in comparison to what I've tried back home! Could not fault a thing — food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent.

One of the best desserts I have ever had. Super flavorful and creamy. Indescribable. Phenomenal place.

From the moment I walked in, the service was nothing short of phenomenal — exactly what I expected from a place of this caliber. The ambiance strikes a unique balance: an eclectically modern aesthetic with a spacious, open vibe. It’s worth noting that the openness extends to the kitchen sounds as well; whether the clatter and chatter enhance or disrupt your experience really depends on personal preference. The presentation of the dishes was absolutely stunning — again, no surprise there. Every plate felt meticulously crafted, and the wine and alcoholic drink pairings were thoughtfully curated, subtly yet meaningfully elevating the overall experience. Unfortunately, the taste was where things fell short. While everything was undeniably fresh and offered some intriguing, exotic notes, the flavors didn’t quite deliver the journey I was hoping for. Each dish felt balanced on its own, but as a whole, the tasting experience was flat, lacking the complexity and excitement that would make each bite memorable. In my judgment, this is exactly what I would expect from a tasting menu. Despite the outstanding service and atmosphere, I can’t fully recommend the culinary experience here. At this level, when everything else is raised so high, the flavors should be the true standout — and sadly, they just weren't.

A complete dining experience! The meal was simply incredible with highlights of duck, lobster and slow braised cow rib. The final dessert and chocolate lab tour were amazing! Worth every bit of time during the 3 hour dinner… a must while in Lima!

We had an unforgettable dining experience at Kjolle. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality stood out — a warm welcome in the garden, friendly conversation, and even a short introduction about the building before being guided to our table. The ambiance is minimal yet elegant: wooden and marble tables without cloths, spacious seating that ensures privacy with clever dividers, and a high wooden ceiling that creates both warmth and openness. Even small details, like individual bag stools and the variety of cutlery presented with each course, reflect thoughtful design. The service was attentive and seamless. Every staff member spoke excellent English, and small gestures made a big difference — pausing service when someone left the table, resetting napkins before dessert, and even escorting guests to the restroom. Hygiene was handled with grace, like using tweezers to place napkins. These touches show a world-class standard of care. As for the menu, every dish was both beautiful and delicious. Highlights for us included: • Corvina and Clams: interactive and flavorful, ending with a delicate broth. • Duck with Madre de Dios Nut and Sea Urchin: perfectly balanced, even for someone who usually avoids sea urchin. • Many Tubers: a celebration of Peru’s roots, with a storytelling element when the sachapapa plant was brought to our table. • Lobster with Charapita Chili and Cecina: an unexpected but harmonious combination. • Cow Rib: slow-cooked for 16 hours, rich and deeply satisfying, a perfect main course crescendo. The bread and honey butter at the start set a warm tone, while the desserts were a show in themselves — multiple creations inspired by cacao and Amazon fruits, visually stunning and varied in taste and texture. We also loved the thoughtful gift: a small art booklet pairing each dish with a piece of modern artwork, making the experience truly memorable. In total, the meal took around 1 hour 45 minutes — perfectly paced, never rushed, never dragging. Kjolle is not just about food; it is about storytelling, culture, and hospitality at the highest level. Every detail, from design to service rituals, reflects Pia León’s vision. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Lima — this restaurant is a destination in itself.

Kjolle left us with mixed feelings. We received a warm welcome and overall good service, but I would have expected to be asked for drinks and have them served before the first course arrived. Instead, the first course came while we were still waiting to order drinks. Some dishes were excellent, but others felt like a hit or miss. Astonishing Gastronomic Experience in Lima – Worth Every Penny Experiencing the gastronomy in Lima was truly astonishing — from breakfast to dinner, the city’s food culture amazed me. One highlight of our trip was dining at the #9 ranked restaurant in the world, where reservations must be made at least a month in advance. Located in a charming second-level bungalow with an open kitchen concept, the ambiance immediately set the tone for what turned out to be an unforgettable evening. The meal began with a warm house-made bread served with a specially prepared herb butter — it was so good I couldn’t stop eating it. Then came the corvina fish and clam sashimi, seasoned in a bright citrus sauce and topped with sweet potato and white quinoa. It was refreshingly light and an excellent way to start the dinner. Next was the sea urchin prepared two ways. I especially loved the nutty-flavored preparation; the other, while flavorful, had a punchy sauce that slightly overpowered the delicate taste of the uni. We then enjoyed a unique dish featuring a medley of Peruvian ingredients like yuca, olluco, and shachappa, all brought together with a specially prepared nut-based sauce. It was both unusual and delicious. The scallops were served in a strong citrus-based sauce — a bit too sour for my liking — but the trio of scallop preparations, especially one with a jelly-like texture packed with umami, showed great creativity. The lobster dish was fantastic, enhanced by a rich crab oil extract that added deep umami. I also enjoyed the fried tempura greens, made with local Peruvian herbs — a clever and satisfying twist. For mains, I had the pork belly, which was perfectly cooked with just the right tenderness, and paired beautifully with a broth that elevated the dish. The ribs, however, were underwhelming — they tasted mostly of salt, lacking in spice or complexity. Dessert didn’t quite hit the mark for me, though that may be personal preference as I’m not a big dessert person. Special mention to our waiter and sommelier, Jerry, who provided excellent service. He let us sample various drinks — wines, mocktails, and cocktails — all thoughtfully paired. This dinner was not just a meal; it was a true culinary journey through Peruvian flavors and ingredients. The experience, the service, and the creativity of the dishes made it absolutely worth every penny.

Kjolle, is chef Pía León’s first independent venture. She rose to fame as the head chef of Central, which was named The World’s Best Restaurant in 2023. Kjolle means a high altitude Andean tree. The restaurant offers both à la carte and tasting menus. The food is excellent and meticulously prepared without compromising on the substance. Service was very polished.

From the very beginning, even at the reservation stage, the language used was polite, clear, and warm; and as soon as we stepped into the restaurant, we were welcomed with both warmth and professionalism. The ambiance was both impressive and calming, with details that evoked the nature of Peru. Throughout the menu, the journey from the Pacific coast to the Andes and then into the depths of the Amazon was conveyed clearly and harmoniously in every dish. Especially the corvina & clams and the duck & sea urchin dishes were outstanding. The beverage pairings (líquidos) were just as creative as the dishes; the Amazon fruits and Andean herbs brought to life in each glass made the experience truly unique. The final dessert with cacao, copoazú, and macambo felt like a genuine gift from Peru. Overall, Kjolle exceeded my expectations in every way. I experienced a meeting of sincerity, creativity, and flavor. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking an unforgettable gastronomic journey in Lima. 🌿✨

Amazing decor, very beautiful with extremely friendly host/ staff. Mario, our waiter was absolutely amazing. He was so attentive and very good recommending dishes and explaining in detail everything. Our food was exceptional. For starters we were given this amazing chips with amazing sauces. The green one was my favorite and the corn was so amazing and addicting. Then we ordered the trio ceviche. It was so fresh and beautifully represented and then we had the grilled octopus which was simply amazing. I would definitely go back and recommend going there if you visiting Lima.

The atmosphere is very lively and full of energy! Super fresh seafood, I like that they have lots of options that are small bite sized plates, and i tried a bunch of different things, all delicious! You could easily spend a few hours here with friends drinking cocktails and having a slow lunch.

Flor was our server and she was incredible! With a menu as large as this it was a bit difficult to decide what I wanted when it all looked so good however Flor took us through the menu and explains every dish while providing recommendations of her own. When we arrived they sat us down in the waiting area for a very short bit and provided a complimentary snack for us as well. The drinks were sublime, the food was out of this world. 10/10 would definitely go again!!

Vibes in this restaurant are awesome. It’s very open, the restaurant is bustling, and seeing the fresh fish at the bar is a great touch. The food is fresh and the quality of the fish is fantastic. The service is fast and attentive as well, even with how busy it gets. It’s an elevated dining experience in a casual setting. Highly recommend this spot if you’re in Peru.

If you are visiting Lima, Peru, I cannot recommend La Mar Cevichería enough. In fact, if you have more than one day in the city, I suggest going twice—there are simply too many amazing dishes to experience in a single sitting. The menu is extensive, and everything we tried was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. Be prepared for a wait—around 30 to 45 minutes at lunchtime and often longer during dinner since they don’t take reservations. Fortunately, the staff makes the wait pleasant. There is outdoor seating where you can relax, snack on toasted corn (“conchitas”), and enjoy a drink from the bar until your table is ready. We went as a group of twelve, which gave us the chance to sample many different dishes. My favorites included the crab claws, priced individually at around $6 each. They are not your typical claws—more like delicate portions of sweet crab meat shaped into a ball, about half the size of a Twinkie. I also enjoyed a light avocado-based mixed salad and the Saltado with pescado y langostinos (fish and shrimp), which was absolutely delicious. My mother ordered the lomo saltado, another must-try classic. The restaurant also offers impressive grilled seafood platters with shrimp, octopus, shellfish, and fish—perfect for sharing. If you enjoy your meal as much as we did, check out their cookbook, branded aprons, and other souvenirs. For dessert, the warm chocolate cake was rich, moist, and decadent—an ideal way to end a memorable meal. The ambiance is rustic, casual, and welcoming, with nautical touches that make it feel like a chic beachside spot. Lamar Cevichería is absolutely worth the visit.

This is my third time in Lima and second time trying La Mar. Very disappointed again. I thought last time I didn’t order the right food so I came with some study done. I arrived with high hopes. The oyster was fishy and the dressing was salty soy sauce (are you serious?) the octopus and the pasta were very salty (the steak in the pasta was very good). When I mentioned this to the waitress while I was tipping her, she wasn’t very interested to learn more. in return. She said “yah?” There are better choices for similar restaurant. Lima has many decent restaurants. Just be careful so you don’t waste your meal opportunity in Lima.

Expect a wait (we had about a 30 minute wait on a Sunday afternoon), but there's seating provided for waiting guests where they'll serve you a complementary snack and take drink orders. Our server was efficient, attentive, and very friendly. Spoke excellent English. We liked the charming interior decoration, though we found it a bit loud. Some potato chips and dip were also complementary when we were seated at our table, we didn't care for the dipping sauces but the chips were very nice, in varying colors. We had two ceviche dishes which were both delicious, and a seafood rice dish which was nice as well. Unfortunately we ordered a bit too much, couldn't finish the rice, but the staff was very helpful in boxing it up to go. We were slightly irritated that the menu says "service" included, yet they still expected a tip. One or the other, I would hope.

Osso seems a bit similar to high-end restaurants in Singapore. It has a good location and caters to business people, but the cost/experience ratio seems slightly off to me. That said, the risotto with bone marrow was good, just a bit rich IMO. Too much of a good thing? However, the bar service was excellent, and the drinks were of good quality. The decor seemed a bit over the top; there were lots of unnecessary neon. It seems to me that Osso is trying too hard to be cool. Understated would be better for me. Still, the food and service are good, just not the best I have experienced in Lima.

The best part of the meal was probably their bread otherwise the pork was overcooked and the wagyu burger was very oily and just crumbled apart due to the sauce and oil. Salad leaves were old and mushy as well. Truffle fries weren’t bad pretty tasty and cooked well.

Start with the pulled por tacos! What a great service (gracias Mauricio - best waiter ever!) Try the ceviche, and of course the meat. Beautiful ambiance, great to even come with friends to drink and enjoy the good music. We will be coming back!

We only stopped in for a later afternoon snack during a day of travel and no real meal yet. Service was slowwww. The pulled pork tacos were decent meat but were a little cold. The steamed bao were a lot better, hefty portions for appetizers.

Food:4.5. Presentation came first than the taste. Tried their tasting menu, 998 pen/person. Firstly the presentation was decent, almost every dish came like an art work, with nice decor and good looking. Secondly the food was overall good. Yet some of them were average, more like some simple cooking style on local veggies, and the sauce was not great. There was one dish (the one with all red, green, black colors was very creamy and salty, didn’t enjoy it at all). It has 3 mains, but it came more like tapas. Desert was okay. Vibe is great and the house looks amazing. A nice dining experience.

This place is a must! If you love food as much as we do, you’ll be in heaven. Everything was amazing — the atmosphere and especially Oscar made our stay such a pleasure. We couldn’t decide what to order because everything sounded so delicious, and Oscar helped us choose perfectly. I’ve never eaten so much in my life, and I have absolutely no regrets!

This resturant stood out to me a lot during my trip to Peru. The service and atmosphere were amazing. Highly recommend location for a date night. The food was delicious. I tasted an oyster from here and it was the best oyster I probably had in my life. I'll possibly come back to this resturant just for that. I think this resturant is a bit over price so come wallet ready.

Mayta offers an incredible upscale dining experience on par with the top restaurants in the world. I enjoyed a wonderful lunch that consisted of freshly baked bread, ceviche, and delicious ravioli with creamy herb crust. Top everything off with a Chilean Chardonnay and the entire meal was extremely memorable. I also watched the diners on either side of me order the duck platter, which was gorgeous. There was also several beverages that were creatively presented with mist and dry ice. Overall, I loved the meal and will be back to try more on the menu.

Celebrated my sister’s birthday here today and had the most memorable meal. Our server was super friendly and spoke perfect English. This really helped us as we have a severe nut allergy and can’t speak Spanish. Every dish was divine and massive portions! Very innovative flavors and friendly sommelier as well!! Highly recommend

Great experience at Mayta. Food was very tasty, drinks were very well thought and the presentation was flawless. They gave my mom a lovely surprise for her birthday, and we all had a wonderful time. Service was good, but there is room for improvement . Just a little more attention to details and engagement.

Nothing extraordinary! Waiting time 40min. I think they prioritise locals over tourists although no reservations are possible. No English menu but some staff speaks English and helped us with the order. The concept is to choose the fish/seafood and the cooking method. The kitchen is downstairs which is not very efficient for a restaurant especially when they don’t have a lift for the food. Staffs need to go down and up all the time. Extremely loud music. The dishes arrived quickly and seemed to be fresh. Not bad seafood but I think some are overpriced compared to the same food we can find in Europe (especially lobster ~€65/kg) Too small plates to eat the dishes, zero service to replace or give tissues.

Small place, super fresh sea food and amazing flavours….the preparation was very good and the service was top class. Reached at 12pm sharp and there were people waiting to get a table. Had a 1kg lobster that was good for 4 and 4+ 4 razor clams grilled with 2 different sauces. The Bloody Mary with Pisco was perfectly Did not try any of the beers though.

Amazing food and great pisco sours! We did have to wait a very long time for a table though, so make sure you have time to spare. You can have a drink at the bar while you wait.

Food and service is excellent. Menu options are good if you have the secret decoder. I recommend the Jalea, Shrimp with garlic and butter and of course the ceviche, all pictured.

La Picantería, housed in a rustic mansion. La Picanteria is a lunch only restaurant serving seafood in casual sitting. The Ceviche here is praised for but I found it to be average.

The food, referring to the taste was good in general, no complaints on that part, but the wait between the plates was too long. In top of that you must now that you will have to order multiple courses to be satisfied, because the portions are quite small so go with time. About the prices, in my opinion, they have great plates which deserve the high cost, but there’s others that are quite average, not worth it.

Rafael delivers on service, ambiance, and cocktails, the lighting and music set the tone perfectly. Food is good but feels overpriced compared to Mayta, and it doesn’t spark the same excitement. Still, desserts are excellent and the overall experience is polished and enjoyable

A must visit spot with a great ambiance. This definitely feels like fine dining! Warm fresh bread to start and a great drinks list. A small food menu but all worth trying. The scallops are a must and a signature dish. Loved the special of the Crudo and then steak main.

This is supposedly rank 19th out of the top 50 restaurants in South America. We made our reservation 45 days in advance. To be honest our roasted pork belly, squid and few other dishes were good but I missed the magic dust (whatever that is). Maybe we have to get the tasting menu or wine pairing to get the full experience? Our waitress was professional but feels like she’s tired of us tourists and seems bored.

We stopped by and so glad we did! Juan was incredible. He created all of the cocktail recipes and they were amazing. He was so kind and showed us the beauty of pisco! Joaquin was very helpful and attentive as well. I wish we lived closer to this place, I would be there every day if I could!

The bar area is very nicely decorated and the cocktail I had was great (el capitan). The ceviche was nice but the crab pasta was just fine in my opinion. Overall the food was okay, but for the price point there are definitely better options elsewhere.

Come to Rafael for an art-filled, elevated atmosphere, attentive service, and deftly executed seafood-forward Peruvian-Italian fusion. I came here for my birthday lunch and it was my personal favorite over some other fine dining spots I tried around the city (did not make it to Maido up the street, but that’s in another price category!) Don’t skip the bread basket. It’s an assortment of delicious warm goodness. Ours came with whipped goat cheese, butter, and tomato jam. The scallop appetizer (scallops in lemon butter) is an absolute must-order and nothing short of sublime. We ordered two pasta mains, and while the duck ragu lacked depth of flavor and the portion was a bit small, the stracciatella-filled pasta with prawns, peas, and a light cream sauce was a winner. The dessert menu was also an absolute highlight and you absolutely must save room for dessert. It was my birthday so they gave me one dessert on the house and we also ordered one of the most mind-blowing desserts I’ve ever had: cherimoya royale which consisted of - from bottom to top: custard apple mousse, praline, a flambéed custard apple slice, custard apple sorbet, enrobed in custard apple foam. The combination of great execution, the balance of complexity and simplicity, and the outstanding service and atmosphere makes this a worthwhile stop on any Lima itinerary!

Actually went there for good croissants but since I was hungry and read many good comments about their sandwiches I wanted to try one and ordered a Capresse sandwich. I it was good but a bit salty. Then ordered the almond croissant. It came a bit warm so I was very excited, but I must say I was disappointed again (why is it so hard to find proper croissants in Lima ??🥺). Anyway it was a little crispy on the outside and this gave me hope but it was not crispy enough and inside was not very fresh. When I went there it was around 4 o’clock so maybe thats the reason and the taste was good so maybe if I can I would like to go there in the morning and try a very fresh one to evaluate it better.

Incredible place! This bakery it's the best place for bread lovers, so many different types of bread with different flavours, and sandwiches that are amazing. They also have small sweets like brownies or cereal bars, and great juices and excellent coffee! A place that everyone should visit at least once.

They show true dedication to their art. Great coffee great bakery and they even include an ice cream cart. International hipster style decor. Ask for an avocado sandwich. They moved the restaurant one block over to 1081 La Mar. they still have the bakery for pick up only

First place I tried when arriving to Lima, and it did not disappoint. The environment is very comfortable and the food is delicious. My spouse and I each had a breakfast entree with coffee for approx 70 Soles ($18). Good size, filling, and delicious. They even have vegan options and and an almond milk latte that was surprisingly thick!

Best breakfast / brunch that I took there. Once I tried the Caprese sandwich and the other the ham and cheese with garlic oil. Great juices and brownies. You can see the kitchen where they prepare the bread.

My husband and I love this place so much that we are there every weekend for Brunch. They have a great selection of breakfast food, fresh juices and great coffee. We absolutely love sitting on the second floor over the kitchen, watching chefs cook with such attention to detail!

The meal was exceptional and is one of the best I have ever had. Honestly tasting menus make me a little nervous because I wonder if the imagination of the chef is just too far outside my comfort zone. Despite my nerves, I brought an open mind to this experience. As I reviewed the menu, cornbread jumped off the page. As a person who grew up eating cornbread, I was SURE that I would be disappointed. I have been to many restaurants who try to put some flare on cornbread and they fail. Well, it was not like Jiffy or any cornbread I have made from scratch. It was more like a sweet bread and the onion butter was wonderful. I was getting full but still regret I did not eat my last slice. I could go on and rave about almost every dish but who wants to read all of that and I assume the menu changes so it is not even helpful. But I need to say the beef was fantastic. I do not eat much red meat and was set to be underwhelmed and it was amazing. And since my review seems to be all sunshine, I will be real and say there was one part I did not like and it was a gelatinous portion of a dessert. It is a texture I do not enjoy but it was such a small component of the meal that if you feel the same way this will not really impact your satisfaction. What can I say, it is just my palate. By the dessert courses, I was pretty full any way but I managed to eat all of the thin cookies which gave me another surprise ….I enjoyed the white chocolate one. I generally love dark chocolate, will eat milk chocolate but pass on desserts with a white chocolate base. I was wrong again. This was great. I wish I had photos of all the courses. They were a treat for the eyes not just the stomach. I would go back in heartbeat. This was my best of many great meals in Lima.

We ordered 5+1 things between two people and felt that it was enough food. Okay: popeye crab, white fish with cocona / Good: Scallops with sanki and jalapeño, Fish curry / Amazing: Lamb and tuber (tender and so succulent), Flan (soooo creamy with a slight burnt caramel taste on the sauce, the lightly bitter taste compliments the taste and texture of the custard very well). We also got the Chirimoya cocktail - taste was good, but also quite basic. I gave it 4 stars because only 1/5 dishes were really, really good in our opinion. Service from Cesmar was 💯, she was very attentive and thorough in her explanation of the dishes. We found the price affordable for this level of dining experience. For reference, our meal came to around 260 PEN per person. I recommend booking in advance, but if you didn't, it's worth walking in to check if they have any availability for that day/the next couple of days (this is what we did). Happy dining! 🥳

We had a fantastic experience with impeccable service and novel, exciting flavors as part of the tasting menu. We were continually blown away as each dish was brought out (I included a few fun pictures of some of my favorites). So many delicious tastes and exciting textures. We definitely had a few favorites but the entire menu was a delight. We felt the price was well worth it and the servers were very attendant throughout the night. The sommelier was also lovely and helped us select a bottle of sparkling wine from Argentina for the evening.

From the raw beams and walls that hold the space, the chef has worked hard to showcase the flavours and ingredients that are quintessentially Peruvian. Definitely in my top 10 – one of the best restaurants in Lima. I had the tuna and it was absolutely incredible: so fresh, tender, and smooth, it melted in my mouth like butter. The overall quality and flavor really stand out. The only downside is that the price feels a bit high compared to the portion size, but the experience still makes it a must-visit spot in the city.

My husband owns a travel agency and was speaking with a tourist who had asked us about El Mercado so we came to check it out. I liked the restaurant, I felt like the layout was similar to La Mar (without the iced fish preview haha)! We had great service from Daniel and I loved the signature drinks/items.. he recommended the ceviche which we found delicious but would've liked a little spicer. I ordered the grilled octopus and we weren't a fan but we also ordered the rice with duck (arroz con pato) and it was absolutely delicious and one of the best we have tried (def recommend)!!! Overall we had a good experience but we found it pricey for the portion size you get. They gave us a free little desert at the end which was also really nice :)

Very good food, prompt service, and a good environment without being too over the top or stuffy; there isn’t much to not enjoy. It is one of the top restaurants in Lima in my opinion. It is not trying to be the 3 star, one bite of food per course type restaurants, which is a good thing. I gave only 4 star for atmosphere as it is more of an open air restaurant and is a bit on the loud side, but you can still easily hold a conversation and it’s a fun change of pace from many other “top” restaurants.

Delicious!!! I came here when I was visiting Lima, tried a few different dishes but the ceviche Punto Azul was my very favorite! they have really good variety of drinks and desserts as well! I can't wait to come back and try more items from the menu ( I just needed some extra spicy sauce to make it perfect)

Pisco Sour Salvation in a Sea of Mediocrity After a week of questionable life choices in Peru, we stumbled upon a restaurant that didn't make us want to cry (yet). There was a line out the door, and they actually took reservations – shocking! The food was...fine. Scallops were smothered in enough cheese to clog an artery, the octopus was unremarkable, and the ceviche was decent, but let's be real, we've had better at a high school potluck. BUT. The pisco sour? Oh, sweet mother of all that is good. It was like a symphony of flavors, a party in our mouths, a reason to question all our life choices that led us to this moment. We're talking best pisco sour in Peru best. We'll be back for that alone. Every. Single. Night. If you're a foodie looking for a culinary experience, just don'texpecta lot here. But if you're a pisco sour connoisseur (is that a thing?), this place is your holy grail. Just don't forget to bring your stretchy pants and a cardiologist.

We had a great dinner and decided to share a few dishes so we could try more of the menu, the food did not disappoint, “Delicious.” The service was a little slow, but that’s understandable given how popular the restaurant is for its excellent food. If you’re in Lima and craving ceviche, Punto Azul is a name that comes up again and again — and for good reason. I walked in just before noon and the place was already buzzing. No frills, no pretentious plating — just solid, flavour-packed Peruvian seafood done right. They start you off with a bowl of cancha (toasted corn) and a small bowl of spicy salsa — a salty, crunchy prelude that sets the tone. Then came the ceviche mixto (pescado y pulpo) — fresh chunks of fish and tender octopus, marinated in a bold leche de tigre. Creamy, citrusy, assertive. The sweet potato and choclo on the side round it off with earthy sweetness and chew. I’ve had ceviche in Chile, but this? Different league. Brighter, more acidic, more alive. The Peruvians own this dish, hands down. A warm bowl of fish broth (caldito) also arrived unannounced — a comforting, herby sip in between bites. Wrapped up the meal with a merengado de chirimoya, a light but decadent dessert that brings together tropical fruit, crisp meringue, and fresh strawberries. Yes, they're great!! And it's worth the visit! I went there because my friend recommended it and, fortunately, it was just in front of the hotel. I was lucky to get in early, as it gets busy later and I wasn't aware of it (until seeing lines in other moments). The waiter was super attentive and friendly, despite the busyness! The entrée (canchita and banana chips with those sauces) is just a sign that it's gonna be goooood! I was alone and didn't expect the chaufa de mariscos would be sooooo big!!! It could be shared between two people, at least. It was delicious, although couldn't finish it 🥲 and chicha morada was just perfect to balance the dinner.

The place was packed for lunch. The hostess said a 20 minute wait and it was pretty close. I think I waited 25-30 minutes? It flew by pretty quickly. I got the fish ceviche and grilled fish. It was so good! Portions are huge. I couldn’t finish it and had to take it to-go. So worth it. Wish I had a bigger party so I could try more items on the menu. A bit on the pricier side but it was good! Service was friendly but they were busy so expect to wait a bit and enjoy your time.

Bustling chifa (Chinese-Peruvian) restaurant in Barronco set in a large and nicely decorated space. Came here with a group of 7 for lunch, and the place was pretty packed. Family portion sizes are huge - a few at the table ordered a family size soup to share and it was the size of a crockpot. A few vegetarian options - rice, noodle dishes with vegetables and tofu. Food was tasty, though greasy (not unexpected). Staff was friendly and was very appreciative that I left a tip (so much so that the manager came over to thank me and then gave me a gift).

what can I say this place is one of my favorites for pan con chicharron and the ribs. every time I come to Peru I have to come here the chinitos in Miraflores is the best. food, customer service, is 100% definitely recommend come here when you are in Lima. there is several other chinitos but this is the one I always come.

Don’t make the mistake I made: the ‘pane’ in the combos does NOT mean you can pick your sandwich - it’s for you to assemble your own. That was a costly mistake as we ended up accidentally ordering twice the appropriate amount due to the mistranslation - which the waiter only delivered with gusto, without repeating our order or cautioned on portions. On the food, we found the chicharron, butifarra, and turkey all dry and tough. I was shocked that even the chicharron does not came with crackling, and barely any fat. However I think this is how the locals prefer it, given the queue that we endured!

To be honest, I hate waiting — but since El Chinito blew up on TikTok, I told myself, “alright, let’s see what the hype is about.” I ended up waiting an entire hour just to get a table… yeah, one full hour! Crazy, right? So, was it worth it? Hmm… I’d say probably yes. The pan con chicharrón was really good — not super big like in other places, but the flavor definitely stood out. Now, the price? A bit on the high side compared to other spots that serve something pretty similar. Would I wait another hour to go back? Honestly, probably not. But hey, at least my first time was a good one — tasty, pleasant, and totally worth the first bite! 🙃🐷

I came on a Sunday around 9am for breakfast. I was the only one dining in when I first arrived, but this place filled up fast after 9:30am! There was a line behind me waiting for a table by the time I finished my meal. I ordered a Sanguche de Chicharrón and it was insane. I added to my sandwich the red onion and aje cerviche that came as a side, and some hot sauce I found at my table. These condiments took the sandwich to another level and went incredibly well with the Chicharrón.

Sandwich combined with marinated onions and spicy sauce was good. Ribs were tender and meaty, but didn't have any sauce. If you are use to BBQ ribs, these will NOT satisfiy that craving. The fried sweet potatoes are not chips, nor are they crispy. Consider them sliced and cooked sweet potatoes and nothing like a French fry. Coffee was also tasty and worth getting.

I heard it was voted the best sandwich in Perú, there's no way. Also, they seemed like frozen fries, which is crazy considering how many potatoes there are here! Super disappointing. There are better options two streets up.

The service and Atmosphere was outstanding. The cerveche was delicious and the shrimp appetizer was mid at best. My girlfriends amazonian river fish was good but far from being delicious. I was suggested the lamb which was supposedly one of there specialties , unfortunately it was over cooked for my likings. A little over priced if you ask me. If I remember correctly the menu said you would get 454 grams of lamb. I got half that at best. Nice experience but I would not go back again.

We went to this restaurant at the recommendation of our local tour guide. I recommend reservations as the place fills out quickly. It's at the end of a pier, and the focus is on sea food. Cocktails, appetizers, food, and desserts were all excellent. There were no women in our party, but the restaurant was offering free roses to the women as they were leaving the restaurant, which I thought was a very nice touch. This place is a must go if you are in Lima

It can be a good place for getting a drink with the view, but for diner, there are much better seafood options in Lima. Even the signature cocktails were super basic and felt underwhelming. Waiter received a hefty tip, and didn't even bother to say goodbye...turned his back on us when we left. What a terrible behavior, I do not recommend.

I was there for dinner and it was really great. The food and the quality was very good. For me they have the best pisco sour in Peru. We had our table inside directly at the windows with an incredible view to the sunset. The service of the people was very professional. I will come again, not only for the Pisco.

We had 4 dishes. One was good, 3 were average. We had huge expectations and were disappointed. Server was good, but all recommendations were a miss. We had lamb that tasted more like a chicken. Pork was interesting but way too fatty. Desert was too dry. Only liver was great. We spent 352 Sol, I can say it was that good for this price. I think this place is overrated.

I've been here twice, and I would definitely go back. The portions are generous, and the taste is a solid 10 out of 10. If you want to try authentic Peruvian food, this is definitely the spot. I had a wonderful Saturday night thanks to our waiter, Alexander and the host (I didn’t have chance to get her name but she very SWEET person) both of them provided excellent, attentive service that made mu experience top-notch. The food was incredible, the lomo saltado is a must-order! Paired with a perfectly made pisco sour(5 stars, the BEST so far), it was the perfect meal. Highly recommend!

Definetely one of the best restaurants in Lima. The food is very very delicious, portions are not big not little either. A little pricey but totally worth it. Thr arroz con Pato was the best I ever tried and the tiramisu of Pistacho is to die for 😋. It was a nice experience... it is located in the center of San Isidro distric and hard to find since it doesnt has a name outside. We had bad luck with a silly waiter, but in overall the time we spent there was enjoyable and I cant wait to visit it again.

This is good food! Came here on my first lunch experience while traveling to PERU! And this was so fine!!!!! We ordered different dishes to try them out and my favorite was the BUN and the ceviche! Cool modern spin on what I presume to be Peruvian cuisine. Fish used in dishes tasted fresh. Octopus was very nicely done. I really enjoyed the dish that had a corn pudding like item but forgot what it is called.

Be aware that the portion is big and expensive. We walked in because we thought it would be at the rate of the locals. It’s not. The ceviches are nice but the rice would be for 6-8 persons portion and charging at a whopping 50 (12 euros). The football part is fun though.

The tequeños de ají de gallina were a fantastic modern twist on a classic, warm and filling. The rocoto relleno came out in a cast-iron skillet alongside pastel de papa and was full of flavor and comfort. For drinks, both the pisco intipalka chilcano clásico and the maracuyá pisco sour were excellent — refreshing and balanced. A must-visit if you want authentic food in a place that’s as much about the atmosphere as the meal.

The menu’s all in Spanish, which made ordering a little challenging, but I watched what others were having and went with a pesto-based soup—absolutely delicious! We have been hearing about this place from friends for a while, and so we finally decided to check it out. I have to say we were pleasantly surprised with the quality and taste of the food. My husband, who is very picky about his chicken soup was raving about their chicken soup. I like that they have different menu soup options for every day of the week, I got the chupa which was the soup of the day, and it was very tasty. The bread that comes with each meal is wonderful, and it definitely wasn’t enough. It is a small portion that comes, so we ended up ordering another basket of it. Also, the Cachangas were very tasty as an appetizer! Great lunch spot! I am docking a star for poor service because we asked for a table when we arrived and she told us that all the tables were full and we’d have to wait 45 minutes for a table so we accepted to sit at the bar. After being seated for only five minutes a table opened up and she made no offer to see us there even though I looked at her several times. Also, our requests were ignored several times and it took extra long for our other portion of bread to come, and my husband never got the extra onions he requested for his soup…typical lackadaisical latitude from staff around offering good service to clientele. Otherwise, the food was great!

This is one of the best Peruvian food franchises specialising in Soups🍵 very tasty and generously served. I tried it for the first time last year at their Miraflores branch and a few days ago at the Lince branch. This time I tried the sopa Críolla and yummy 😋 it was. The place is spacious therefore lots of tables. However this time we waited a little bit to be served. The pan campesino seems to have reduced in portion size since last year. Overall this place is worth a visit if you're a soup aficionado like most Peruvians seem to be. They do offer other dishes as well as cocktails. Good value.

We went twice during our stay in Lima and couldn’t get enough of the excellent food and service. The soups were very flavourful and there roast chicken and rice dishes were high quality ingredients. Our server David was very friendly, efficient and caring. The restaurant’s busy but tables turnover quite quickly but it’s best to go before the lunch rush. Highly recommended

Love coming to siete sopas! Menu is only in Spanish so whip out the translator. We got the soups that are always available, since caldo de gallina is my favorite and sopa criolla my partners. Bread is soooo buttery and good. My soup was well flavored and homey. My partners was full of flavor and buttery. Overall a great meal.

So let’s go the movie route with this place … Clint Eastwood style … the good , the bad and the ugly. First the good: amazing service , super attentive , surprisingly, the chaufa de pescado is the reason to come here … mind blowing flavors and super fresh! The bad, the reason I came here was for the ceviche but both were super salty … the ugly: the ceviche was soooo salty that I didn’t finish it but it looked beautiful.. I felt so bad leaving it there. Ironic that I came for the ceviche but stayed for the chaufa. I really hope it was just an off day for them because I’m coming back for the chaufa !

First off I love food and cultural food is something I look forward to on our trips. We heard about this place and it was recommended to be an extremely nice and delicious place to eat a lot of the cultural food here. However I have to say that this place doesn’t hopefully represent anything to do with Peru and this was the worst place we have eaten here since we started our trip. The service was non existent, the food was either over cook or cut incorrectly and chewy, the valet told a man as we were leaving that they didn’t do valet and continued to watch his phone, the waiter made us change or 20 dollars bill multiple time because they had very slight rips on the bottom, overall I will never return to this restaurant and I hope this helps some of you avoid wasting your money here.

The best thing I had was the grilled octopus … I had a seafood pasta and I found it a bit weird because there was a large amount of cheese on top that I found strange. Pisco sour was good. A bit sweet but still delicious… The doughnuts at the end were awesome though!

I love Cosme. They have great food and drinks. Their interior design could use a spruce. I was a little disappointed in my dessert, it had a very flashy name but wasn’t great. On the other hand you can never go wrong with chocolate

There seems to be a lot of hype around this place, but it was just "ok" for me and my partner. I ordered the scallops, and I got one tablespoon of scallops with another tablespoon of decoration. They were so small for some reason. I finished it in less than 5 minutes 😒 My partner ordered the Cesar salad and was disappointed with it. It was 85% head of lettuce with very little on top. The dessert was the only highlight of the night. It was delicious and really hit the spot. Overall, we left feeling hungry 😕

Another reason to skip the high-end name brands in Lima! Apart from excellent food and service, Cosme has a cool decor using bottle tops and bottoms to create colorful artwork. It is a popular place for the locals so definitely not a tourist destination (which is a good thing!). We decided to share a few appetizers to try a few things...Mazorca, Taco Tostado and Conchas Laminadas were absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. The star of the night was the Crema Volteada for dessert! A must for dinner in Lima!

Really nice gastronomic restaurant, great flavours made with local ingredients, yet with international inspirations. Great blend -the Escabeche was absolutely delightful and the dumpling was the best dish, with a very thin dough and a crazy good meat stuffing. The ambiance is relaxed and the staff is kind. I got the chance to be served by Luis, who was able to explain all spices, herbs and cooking techniques in easy words. I'd say they would be close to 1 Star Michelin but wouldn't be quite there yet.

The menu is awesome, only typical peruvian dishes and the venue is amazing plus the terrace has ocean view, where they get the fish produce used in some of the spectacular dishes. Highly recommended, and during October, the classical Turrón is a must.

Great experience. The service was A+. The food was very good, and some excellent. The best dish was Arroz con Pato Norteño, delicious and tender duck. We also enjoy the Pulpo, and arroz con mariscos. The causa con langostinos had too much "salsa golf" that diminished the dish a little bit. Chancho al pisco was good, however the portion was very small. El tiradito clásico, was okay, it would it be better if the plate was not deconstructed. I preferred the fish soaked in the sauce. A little bit pricey but highly recommended.

La Lucha at parque Canepa in the heart of Gamarra , is a hit or miss , I been at several location of La Lucha and in all them de famous Pan con Chicharrón ( 20.70 soles about 5 US Dollars) is very consistent in flavor and the amount of chicharrón you get in the sándwich is very decent . well after waiting almost 20 minutes for the sándwich for my surprise the sándwich was almost flat like it did not have anything inside , well I opened and well there was plenty of sweet potatoes , 3 miserable pieces of chicharrón and some onions , I went and made a complaint the guy who is the food runner asked me if I paid extra money for more chicharrón , my answer was : I been in several of your locations and the amount of chicharrón is way more than that .What really made me upset is the guy who looks like the manager/ cashier / was in the cooking area , my question is how the person in charge of this place does not notice the sándwiches in general were coming out with very little amount of pork , I started checking all the tables around me and all the sándwich were the same almost empty , almost flat . [5/5, Lima, Peru] Two lobsters and buttery angel hair pasta for 200 soles - a solid 6/5 and would come back just for this. The uni was good as well. The ebi fry, shrimp and fish tempura was amazing - crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, dipped in a light tempura sauce. The salt baked fish was also solid - it came with butter, minced garlic and minced ginger. For dessert, the chocolate soufflé was amazing. Everything else was good but didn’t stand out.

Totally loved this place. Don’t be fooled by the restaurant’s decor, which has not been upgraded in about 20 years, or the lack of ambiance (which could have also been because of the late hour we arrived), this place offers incredible food. A must when in Lima. Definitely go for the Chita a la Sal with Crab Chaufa, and the buttery octopus which melts in your mouth.

Very good food. Close to parque Kennedy. Very busy, but the waiter helped us find a seat. I had the churros, and I don't normally like Chocolat to dip, but I tried it here, and it was very nice - not too sweet. My daughter had a sundae with strawberries and fresh whipped cream. It was just tourist priced - as is everything at Kennedy Park - and good, just not 5 stars drooling. Still worth the trip!

We arrived craving churros rellenos, but ended up staying for lunch after seeing the dishes around us and the happy customers. I had a very generous portion of a classic causa limeña accompanied by a cold chicha morada. The causa was delicious, although I could have used more mayo. The sauces on the side helped. After our satisfying lunch, we finally got to our churros. I ordered one filled with manjar blanco and another with custard cream. The manjar blanco churro relleno was undoubtedly the standout, but I must admit that the churros were slightly smaller compared to what I remember from years ago. They had shrunk in size and become thinner, but they still tasted great. I returned the next day and had a butifarra with a glass of chicha morada. It was delicious, just as I remembered.

My dad came here the day before and just stumbled upon it because of the freshly made churro smell from up the road. He brought us some and we ended up coming here for breakfast the day after early morning. We ordered: Chicha Morada (highly recommend, better than in the states), cafe con leche (tasted like Cuban coffee but so good), muracuya juice, tea and sandwiches! 🥪 I don’t know if you’ve ever tried the ketchup here but highly recommend because it is so good with everything. It's the best restaurant to have Peruvian Chinese in Mira Flores. I like the cocktail here and then the spaghetti and dim sum was really nice. Overall I will read this restaurant 4 out of 5 and they really mentioned the hygiene so you should go. Ambience is also good. Try to reach early or else it will be crowded and you have to wait for a long time.

Great food though quite pricey, and excellent service. The menu has a vegetarian section and on top of that a few dishes (fat noodles stir fry and fried won ton) could be made vegetarian. The roast duck was nice and soft, and had good flavour; served with hoisin sauce and actually spicy dip, it was delicious. £40 for 2 people but with enough leftovers for lunch.

Fun atmosphere for chifa. The food wasn’t as fantastic as I thought it’d be, given that some was less of a fusion and it was hard to tell where the Peruvian influence was. But we had some great food. I’d recommend it for those interested in trying Chifa, but note they don’t have cuy (guinea pig).

First stop in Lima had to be Nikkei, that perfect Peruvian-Japanese fusion everyone kept recommending. We went to Osaka, and the menu was full of temptations. (I officially gave ceviche a break today after eating it basically every meal in Peru 😂). The fish? Super fresh. The grilled meat? Perfect. The ramen? A little off, but hey, it’s not a ramen shop so I’ll forgive them. Dessert was solid too. But the real MVP? A wild twist on paella that swaps rice for ramen noodles. Absolute genius. 🤯👏

The ballanced combination of tastes with accent on great quality and innovative methods keeps you without the breath. It is price-y and posh, but that's exactly for concrete audience that expects certain level and it is willing to pay for it. Reservation is highly recommended. 5 out of 5.

Went there last night to celebrate my last night in peru and my partners birthday. It was easily the best meal we had in the country and I wish we discovered it sooner!! The service was spectacular, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was great. We tried several different dishes to share, some sake, and a cocktail each. I had the citrus cocktail (i can't remember the exact name) and recommend that.

After days of pretty bland meals, that first bite of fresh, tangy ceviche was pure heaven. The spot is tiny and the menu is short, but their signature mixed plate is a winner—fried rice, crispy seafood, and ceviche all on one plate. I came here with my family after I’ve heard some many good things about Teresa Izquierdo. The place didn’t disappoint me at all, tho the prices are higher than regular Peruvian typical dishes, they’re totally worth it. The host and severs were attentive and they brought everything on time. I ordered rocoto relleno and ozobuco, they were delicious. The arroz con pato was really good and tasty. Lastly, the Chicha morada and jugo de maracuya were really good! I definitely recommend this place if you’re a foreign and want to try delicious Peruvian food!

Excellent service and food. We ordered the goat and the chicharrones and for dessert the picarones. Which comes with a sugar cane honey - very interesting. I was disappointed in the portion size of my goat and thought it was mostly fat but the flavor was good. Should would have wanted more goat and more sauce as well. Great service and setting.

Popped in today after one guy in Huaraz had recommended the place to me. I showed up a few minutes before the opening time and was the first to enter the premises. I was looked after by Mr. Oscar, who explained everything thoroughly and recommended a dish of duck breast with lentils. Everything was delicious but the breast was overcooked and quite dry to the point I couldn't finish the dish. The atmosphere inside and the service were superb though.

Wonderful flavorful food... Portions are on the smaller side (disclaimer, in EEUU most things are super sized), but you won't notice because the flavor is so big! You have several vegan options - I opted for the vegetal chimichuri. Muy rico! There are several restaurants in the one place - Mexican, Chinese, American and more! Menu available in English. Wifi gratis, clean baños. Dessert options and alcohol if you want. This place has it all!

I was expecting an energetic Saturday food market. However, this mercado 28 was too quiet. When i was there at about 7pm Saturday evening, only three or four groups of customers. They are not like a food hall but a restaurant with different kind of food. There are waiters taking order and serving. To be honest, the food was not bad. I like the anticucho so much. And they have discount on two aperol spritz only for 25sole.

It’s a great concept with some great food including Peruvian, Amazonian, sushi, poke bowls, burgers, kebabs etc. I think it’d be better if the wait staff didn’t come and get your order for the food but if they really let people roam around and pay for their food directly from the stalls. In my opinion, it’d be way more immersive and fun that way, giving you the opportunity to really eye out the food you want. The wait staff could then be tasked with just keeping track of drinks.

I tried this place when I visited the Barranco neighbourhood and was surprised by good number of Vegetarian options. Salad and Pizza were nice. The Mediterranean sandwich which I tried was quite flavourful but a bit oily. Chocolate tart tasted heavenly here and a must try.

One of the best sushi experiences I’ve ever had! The portions are intentionally small, in true Japanese style, allowing you to sample multiple options. We followed the recommendations of a friendly waitress and ended up trying a variety of dishes. The Tomo and Bachi were definite highlights. Bill came out at ~£100 for two people and was 1000% worth it.

I order lechon sandwich and it was raw and cold. I asked for another and they messed up my order, they brought me a turkey. The 3rd time, again they brought me lechon that was raw and pink. It was all good, with the exception of the chica morada, they don't make it there and frankly, it is not worth your soles. The staff was friendly, very "English" oriented, but all in all, it's really just a sandwich shop. I would prefer to have a more local culinary experience, but if you want predictable "English" fare... this will do.

You know a restaurant is great when you see the locals lined up outside down the streets. Fortunately, we were there during a downtime and got the last table. Counter service with table delivery. It’s a very popular Peruvian sandwich shop known for: Sánguches criollos – Peruvian-style sandwiches with fillings like roasted pork (lechón), beef tenderloin (lomo), turkey, and chicken. The Freshly made juices – especially chicha morada (purple corn drink) and maracuyá (passion fruit) are amazing along with the crispy hand-cut fries. Me and my friend had the fries and the Chicharrón: Thick slices of crispy, deep-fried pork belly with Camote frito: Slices of fried sweet potato. They were soft on the inside, slightly crispy on the outside. It is served with Salsa criolla: A tangy onion relish made with thinly sliced red onions, lime juice, chili (usually ají amarillo or rocoto), cilantro, and a touch of salt. The bread was incredible! It was served on a fresh French-style bun (soft yet slightly crusty), perfect for soaking up the juices without falling apart. We're definitely coming back!

Everything you read on the reviews is true! I couldn’t stop thanking my date for making such a great choice. We sat at small table for two right in front of the beach were people were surfing. It was hard to chose between staring at the sea or into my date’s eyes! You must try the ceviche appetizer sample to share. It was so delicious from traditional ceviche to modern versions.
