Restaurant
Isolina is a humble eatery that pays homage to hardworking Peruvian women, particularly the owner's mother, Isolina Vargas. The restaurant serves traditional homemade dishes that were once closely guarded secrets of Lima's mothers.
This is a simple restaurant on a corner in Barranco, Lima. The food is amazing with incredible flavors. People told me this is one of the best restaurants in the world. I think that is too much, but it is definitely a very good choice. The food has excellent taste and very good seasoning. All dishes have explosion of flavors. I recommend this restaurant to everyone. Good option when visiting Lima. The flavors are really special and well prepared.

The service here was truly top notch and one of the highlights of our visit. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcome, and the atmosphere was very casual and relaxed — exactly the kind of place where you can sit back, enjoy your meal, and not feel rushed. It made for a very enjoyable dining experience. The food was absolutely awesome. We ordered the Lomo Saltado, which was perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. The portion size was surprisingly generous — easily enough for two people to share, especially if you’re pairing it with other dishes. It had that classic combination of savory beef, onions, tomatoes, and fries that makes this dish such a favorite, and it was seasoned just right. We also tried the mixed salad, which ended up being much bigger than we expected. It was fresh, crisp, and nicely put together, making it a great side to balance out the richness of the main dish. A special shout-out to Nick, our server, who was excellent. He was attentive without being overbearing, checked on us often, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Overall, this was a fantastic dining experience — great service, casual and welcoming ambiance, and excellent food that we would definitely come back for. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a relaxed spot with consistently good dishes and friendly staff.

Tried tonight after reading the good reviews. We turned up after 17:30 without reservation (on Sundays they close at 19) and got a table upstairs. We ordered the Ají de Gallina and the Seco de Asado de Tira con Arroz y Frijoles. Both were excellent. The portions are super generous: we had a choice between a personal and a sharing portions - please trust me and stick with the personal, we're keen eaters but two dishes could easily have fed 3 people! I had a Pisco Sour, also excellent albeit extremely expensive at S/42 each - that's completely unjustified as I had the same at nearby Canta Rana for S/28. Service was fast and professional & the ambiance lovely. Highly recommend you try this place & I would definitely return. However, if it's ceviche you're after, I would suggest Canta Rana nearby for more choice and better price points.
Eugenio C — Google review
This is lovely slightly posh restaurant with traditional peruvian dishes. Service was nice, and the location is lovely. The food was excellent and generous. I would strongly recommend to make a reservation (we were lucky and couple of minutes later the queue started to form outside). I would come again.
Jakub K — Google review
I went alone and put my name on the list, then came back an hour later and got seated. Unfortunately, the table I was given was awkward and not very comfortable. The service felt purely transactional: they took my order, brought the food, never checked in to see if I liked it, and then asked for a tip. The crispy fish sandwich was very crunchy and salty but lacked depth of flavor. Even with mayo, it felt dry and unbalanced. The beef dish had tender meat, but it was also quite salty, and the fries in the sauce made it feel oily and heavy. On the plus side, the portions were generous. The experience wasn’t terrible, but for the hype around this place, it felt overrated and underwhelming.
Tiger S — Google review
It’s a Peruvian taverna with good classical dishes but more expensive than other local Peruvian restaurants around where you can get same quality at better prices. It does not give authentic local vibe but more a spot where tourists goes. Lomo saltado was very good I have to say.
Tina A — Google review
Amazing food! What else can I say?! Just real down Peruvian comfort food. Just make reservations ahead of time. Definitely one the best ones. Great location in Barranco to walk right after a great meal.
Denisse D — Google review
This is one of the more popular spots to eat in Miraflores and with good reason. They have a lower and an upper floor for dining. The staff was amazing and very kind, we got our food quite quick. We ordered their lomo saltado, make sure that your order for 1 or 2 people only as that is more than enough. Our portion was too big for both of us. However, the taste was really good. The ambience in the restaurant was great!

Chinese restaurant
Madam Tusan is a Peruvian-Chinese restaurant chain founded by renowned chef Gaston Acurio. With eight locations across Lima, the restaurant offers a casual setting and friendly service. While some patrons have noted issues with sloppy service and minimal fusion in the dishes, others appreciate the first-class decor and cheery atmosphere. The menu features dim sum and larger plates at relatively high prices, but with generous portions.
Great place for Chinese Food. The service was a little slow though given is a family oriented place. The food was good specially the pekin duck tacos
Jacob H — Google review
Great food at a reasonable price. I had the Alitas Tusan. This was 12 chicken wings in a mildly spicy BBQ sauce. The wings were smaller than American wings but don't have any fillers. My wife had beef and broccoli. Our waiter, Walter spoke English well, and was welcoming and friendly. Both meals, appetizer, tip with a glass of wine and a beer were $48 US Dollars .
Dan S — Google review
Wonderful dinning experience here. We have lived in Asia many years and the food here is 10/10 in comparison. Also our waiter (I think was walter a.) was amazing in accommodating my dietary needs of vegan.
Danielle G — Google review
Visited Feb2024. It is a chain Chinese restaurant in Lima with multiple locations. Authentic asian taste. Cozy atmosphere, friendly and efficient service.
Steve R — Google review
"We really enjoyed the food, it was delicious. The only issue was that some of the dishes arrived cold or almost cold, and the jasmine tea wasn’t hot at all. We’d love to see that improved, as it would make the experience perfect."
Rosa O — Google review
It's the best restaurant to have Peruvian Chinese in Mira Flores. I like the cocktail here and then the spaghetti and dim sum was really nice. Overall I will read this restaurant 4 out of 5 and they really mentioned the hygiene so you should go. Ambience is also good. Try to reach early or else it will be crowded and you have to wait for a long time.
Anwesha J — Google review
Great food though quite pricey, and excellent service. The menu has a vegetarian section and on top of that a few dishes (fat noodles stir fry and fried won ton) could be made vegetarian. The roast duck was nice and soft, and had good flavour; served with hoisin sauce and actually spicy dip, it was delicious. £40 for 2 people but with enough leftovers for lunch.
Thanh P — Google review
Fun atmosphere for chifa. The food wasn’t as fantastic as I thought it’d be, given that some was less of a fusion and it was hard to tell where the Peruvian influence was. But we had some great food. I’d recommend it for those interested in trying Chifa, but note they don’t have cuy (guinea pig).

Cantonese restaurant
Chinese restaurant
Wa Lok is a renowned chifa in Lima, offering authentic Cantonese dishes and a fusion of Chifa cuisine. The restaurant provides a traditional Chinese banquet hall ambiance and generous portions of food. It's well-decorated with good service and ample parking. Customers praise the crispy chicken, smooth chaufa rice, and fresh juice drinks like chicha morada. Additionally, Wa Lok is known for its quick service even during busy times.
I have been coming to this resturant for over 20 years in my visits to Lima. Happy to report as good as always! Excellent Dim Sum without having to go to Barrio China. Large menu for all Chinese food.
Nothing H — Google review
Exceeded my expectations for Chinese! I ordered the chow fun, the noodles were delicious but not particularly a fan of the pork, I think it would have been better with beef. The dumplings were underwhelming The rice dish had some nice umami flavors
IG: R — Google review
Pretty good Chifa, but also nothing too special. The rice dishes are good and the portions are large, but it was little too saucy and greasy for my taste. The atmosphere does have the Cantonese banquet hall vibe, lots of space.
Emil J — Google review
Unexpected deliciously prepared dishes and club sandwich, some soups will require lemon/lime or salt and pepper, 100% natural fruit juices were amazing, nicely flavored bbq wing sauce, Peru knows potatoes...lightly crispy outer layer with smooth inside! Wa Lok is a fitting match with Nobility Grand Hotel in Miraflores, Peru.
DVVS I — Google review
This location had a cheap, rather delicious chicken fried rice. However I also believe it gave me food poisoning. The waiter was also not amiable at all and requested a tip. I left with mixed feelings.
Dominic L — Google review
The food is good, the service not so much. I wanted a dish but the chicken done differently. They tried to charge a more expensive dish even though they served me the cheaper dish *exactly as on the menu* (ignoring my request). I complained of course. At times I was surrounded by 4-5 helpless waiters, just buzzing about not doing anything. They resolved it in the end, but it took time and they were seemingly overwhelmed by the situation. And for all that fuzz the prices are too high. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a bad place to eat. Just would prefer a small local restaurant any time. :)
Constantin W — Google review
30 minute wait after ordering food and a bit of confusion with the order is still acceptable. The mushrooms I ordered were drenched in sauce and slimy, as were the chinchonfans (see pictures) - I tried the chinchonfans and sent them and the slimy mushrooms back. They might have veggie options but it seems to me those are not good, some of the meat dishes that passed me looked alright. Wouldn’t recommend coming here if you’re a vegetarian.
Karla K — Google review
It's more like a banquet hall, just like restaurants in China. If you look for a cosy atmosphere, go elsewhere. Portions are big, food is ok, not great. We've had better cantonese. Rather flat experience...

Gran Chifa Chung Yion, also known as Union, is a renowned Chinese restaurant in Lima, Peru. It offers a wide array of Cantonese dishes such as rice rolls, shrimp dumplings, and chicken giblet in an unassuming setting. The restaurant is celebrated for its vast servings of wonton in multi-meat broth and generous portions of chaufa rice. For a more intimate dining experience, guests can opt for cozy booths with mustard yellow curtains.
HUGE portions. Tastes like home. The fried noodles is exactly like Vietnamese/Chinese dish we have home in California. Lovely staff!

Bustling chifa (Chinese-Peruvian) restaurant in Barronco set in a large and nicely decorated space. Came here with a group of 7 for lunch, and the place was pretty packed. Family portion sizes are huge - a few at the table ordered a family size soup to share and it was the size of a crockpot. A few vegetarian options - rice, noodle dishes with vegetables and tofu. Food was tasty, though greasy (not unexpected). Staff was friendly and was very appreciative that I left a tip (so much so that the manager came over to thank me and then gave me a gift).

Amazing food with even more amazing portions. This restaurant has been in the same location for decades, remember coming here with my parents as a small child. Obviously the place still looks like it’s been there for a hundred years but don’t let the place deter you from going

Great spot for classic chifa (Chinese Peruvian food). Cheap and large plates. Bunch of locals and tourists there. The private dining style area was pretty cool.

one of the best chifas in Barranco. I always come here when I come to Lima. this time I brought my son and absolutely love it.

First time eating Chifa food. The portions are insanely large. I'm not sure what I was expecting: it's neither authentic Chinese nor authentic "American" Chinese. A bit of a strange aberration--but locals seem to like it. We ordered three dishes and probably have enough leftovers for a week

Bakery
El Pan de la Chola is a popular bakery in Miraflores, Lima, known for its use of local grains and house-ground flours to create some of the best bread in the city. The bakery offers a variety of breakfast sandwiches on freshly baked focaccia, kamut loaf, and their signature chola bread made from a crusty wheat and rye blend.
So lucky to find this place with fantastic bread! It's not easy easy to find good bread in South America, but this is THE place. The croissants were to die for. A part of that, great coffee, great smoothies, friendly service, although quite slow, wonder how they handle it when they're full... Cool raw interior with a lot of attention to detail. You can watch the staff baking at the back of the café.
The I — Google review
Actually went there for good croissants but since I was hungry and read many good comments about their sandwiches I wanted to try one and ordered a Capresse sandwich. I it was good but a bit salty. Then ordered the almond croissant. It came a bit warm so I was very excited, but I must say I was disappointed again (why is it so hard to find proper croissants in Lima ??🥺). Anyway it was a little crispy on the outside and this gave me hope but it was not crispy enough and inside was not very fresh. When I went there it was around 4 o’clock so maybe thats the reason and the taste was good so maybe if I can I would like to go there in the morning and try a very fresh one to evaluate it better.
Elif B — Google review
Incredible place! This bakery it's the best place for bread lovers, so many different types of bread with different flavours, and sandwiches that are amazing. They also have small sweets like brownies or cereal bars, and great juices and excellent coffee! A place that everyone should visit at least once.

They show true dedication to their art. Great coffee great bakery and they even include an ice cream cart. International hipster style decor. Ask for an avocado sandwich. They moved the restaurant one block over to 1081 La Mar. they still have the bakery for pick up only

First place I tried when arriving to Lima, and it did not disappoint. The environment is very comfortable and the food is delicious. My spouse and I each had a breakfast entree with coffee for approx 70 Soles ($18). Good size, filling, and delicious. They even have vegan options and and an almond milk latte that was surprisingly thick!
Shuja K — Google review
Best breakfast / brunch that I took there. Once I tried the Caprese sandwich and the other the ham and cheese with garlic oil. Great juices and brownies. You can see the kitchen where they prepare the bread.
Marco P — Google review
My husband and I love this place so much that we are there every weekend for Brunch. They have a great selection of breakfast food, fresh juices and great coffee. We absolutely love sitting on the second floor over the kitchen, watching chefs cook with such attention to detail!

What I ordered: capresse sandwich and Americano Quality: excellent. The flavors were perfectly balanced with the acidity of the tomato and heartiness of the bread and herbs. Would I get again? Maybe

Barrio Chino, or Chinatown, is a vibrant and bustling neighborhood in Lima that offers a unique glimpse into the city's rich cultural tapestry. On weekends, it's an ideal time to explore this area along with Centro Historico and Chorillos, where you can savor freshly caught fish. Within Barrio Chino, you'll find cozy restaurants serving delicious Chinese dishes—just be cautious of imitations from nearby eateries.

We were the only Asians out there!! They had many stores that sold anime & there were many Chifa restaurants at every corner. There was also some Asian decor here & there, but it wasn’t really a Chinatown-Chinatown. The only restaurant we ate at was Chifa Wa Lok, the Peking duck there was very delicious at an affordable price (compared to USA). The dim sum there was solid too.

(Translated by Google) Roast duck, chifas and shopping malls If you want to eat a good roast duck, the best option is to go to Chinatown, to Capon Street and look for some of the dinners that survive the street trade, maintaining that old style of dinner-chifa, which on the outside exposes the duck roast hanging together with the roast pig, a family tradition. It still maintains its façade but is quite neglected and surrounded by street vendors that do not allow it to be appreciated in all its splendor and due to the large influx of public you have to be very careful with personal belongings, especially with cell phones, security in the area is minimal, Therefore you have to be very cautious. The old chifas have been converted into shopping galleries with small stores where everything is sold as in a pharmacy, but with one constant, the majority are products imported from China and at very cheap prices. The bad thing is that there is enormous informality, which at the time of writing this review is subject to inspection by the Municipality due to ongoing safety and health problems.

When it comes to an experience this is the right place to go. Located in the San Isidro neighborhood in Lima Amoramar presents exceptional peruvian/chinese fusion gastronomy with emphasis on seafood. Every single dish was done perfectly and the service by Michael was truly exceptional. This is a must, not only for one time visit but for many

100/10. Incredible service and amazing food. I only ate based on the recommendations of the restaurants staff and they brought me incredible dishes and an outstanding dessert. Pictures attached of what they recommend.

Definetely one of the best restaurants in Lima. The food is very very delicious, portions are not big not little either. A little pricey but totally worth it. Thr arroz con Pato was the best I ever tried and the tiramisu of Pistacho is to die for 😋. It was a nice experience... it is located in the center of San Isidro distric and hard to find since it doesnt has a name outside. We had bad luck with a silly waiter, but in overall the time we spent there was enjoyable and I cant wait to visit it again.

The service was great! Really professional and kind waiters. I ate here the best ceviche in my trip Peru. Very well seasoned and balanced. The desserts were exellent and the pisco sour was great and well.

This is good food! Came here on my first lunch experience while traveling to PERU! And this was so fine!!!!! We ordered different dishes to try them out and my favorite was the BUN and the ceviche! The pulpo was also very good. Staff was very friendly. I wanted to repeat this experience but did not have enough time. Expensive but worth the money!

Cool modern spin on what I presume to be Peruvian cuisine. Fish used in dishes tasted fresh. Octopus was very nicely done. I really enjoyed the dish that had a corn pudding like item but forgot what it is called.

Food and atmosphere was top notch but the love did not reach the servers. Ceviche was excellent, scallops "on fire" were our favorite and the classic parmesan ones delicious too. Do order a Cesar and enjoy it... when it gets there... the waiters just need to better organized.

Amazing Experience, Peruvian food with quality ingredients, dishes are fresh and served very fast. There are many option of creative cocktails. We ordered 4 dishes and was enough for 2 people. The atmosphere is nice, ventilated, good music, clean, spacious and confortable tables. In resume was a pleasure to visit this restaurant and after-sell service was super excellent (we had an advices about our dish for take away and they sent to us the same dish to our place for free)

Chifa Wa Lok is a culinary gem nestled in the vibrant Barrio Chino, offering an impressive menu with around 300 dishes that cater to every craving imaginable. If you're unsure of what to order, the knowledgeable waitstaff are more than happy to share their recommendations, ensuring you make the most of your dining experience. For first-timers at a chifa, indulging in one of their classic offerings is a must.
Waited maybe 5 minutes to be seated. It's very busy so the staff are always working. Have patience and be kind, do not come here if you want fast food. Sit down and enjoy it. The staff was all nice to us (3 foreigners). They have wifi and answered all my questions about the menu. I ended up getting the chifu rice with beansprouts and mushrooms, they made sure it was without onions. The portions are massive. My fried rice was a mountain. I generally eat big portions, but even for me it was enough for 3 meals (1 there and 2 at home). They packed what I couldn't finish in a sturdy take-away box in a bag and provided a plastic fork also. So that was nice because it didn't spill in my backpack. I think we spent maybe an hour here. Once we ordered, the food came out pretty fast. But it did take a while to have our orders taken and then to get our bill at the end, but we also didn't ask for the bill when we finished because we were enjoying conversation. I think 40 soles for food that lasted 3 meals is a good deal.

🔥 ¡qué rico! 🤤 We got the crispy egg noodles with seafood gravy (aka tallarin frito) & half a peking duck. The duck was tepid and not crispy but the flavor was so on point that we were happy with it. Noodles were crispy, umami, and loaded with garlic. Jasmine tea to wash all the grease down. Coming from very discerning Shanghainese taste buds…this food hit the spot!!! Service, well, the servers might as well have been Chinese. Lol. You just have to be patient and proactive about flagging them down. The lady shot daggers through my soul with her eyes when I went to grab a togo box 🤷🏻‍♀️ They charge 1 sol for them FYI. Bathrooms are upstairs only where all the larger dining tables are at. We grabbed a lucuma roll cake on the way out and enjoyed it at the park. Tasted like my childhood. Would recommend this chifa to anyone with a hankering for the Chinese food we all know and love 😋

Went there twice. The first experience was way much better than the second one. But still we are happy with the food. Positions are crazy big and one chifa plate is enough for two. One thing is very annoying taht the service is very very slow even it looks like there are many workers food arrives in 20-25 mins at least. Overall prices are cheap, food is delicious and the location is very central.

Right in the heart of chinatown, this is a very good Chifa restaurant. The portions are enormous. Each dish enough to feed 2 people. They have a very large selection of different kinds of meats and also vegetarian food. In the front is a bakery with all there desserts. Ordered a Beef Saltado and stewed Tofu which were both very good. They don’t come with rice so we got one bowl to share for 2 ppl. The staff recommended a pineapple bun with coconut filling- it was delicious. Staff does not speak fluent English but they do their best to make your time enjoyable. Must visit.

I had high hopes for this place, but the servers were indifferent, and the food was cold. We ordered two versions of duck (sweet and grilled) and two versions of chicken (orange and lemon), as well as chaufa, tallarines chinos especiales, and fried wontons. The taste was good, but the cold food was disappointing. To make matters worse, the place was not clean, which made it difficult to enjoy my meal. We went there on a Monday for lunch, and it was not busy at all (not surprised). I wouldn’t recommend this place and wouldn’t go back. We all got sick after eating there.

Service was great. We ordered the chairs which came in generous portions to where 3 of us were able to split. Very good value for the money! Highly recommend when you’re in Lima.

A wide variety of options with HUGE portion sizes! There is a line which usually means it’s good and they did not disappoint. Chinatown is a fun walk as well though much busier than Miraflores for example.

A very good dim sum , only 1 item was bad xiaolongpao (steam pork buns) the dough was really bad and the filling was the same from other dim sum , and was really dry inside. Best item that I Order was hakao ( prawns dumpling ) really fresh prawns super crunch.

Food was tasty enough, but bizarrely the waiter didn't want to serve me tea with my meal at first, tea was no longer available or something (was about 6:30pm)...despite the tea urn and tea pots almost in front of me. Maybe this is some bizarre Peruvian thing :). Sweet and Sour (Tipakay?) Chicken was good, dumplings a little bland. Service was actually good after we got over the tea thing. Only been in Lima a couple of weeks but price struck me as somewhat on the high side (?)...price not far off what I would pay in London's China Town for a similar kind of experience.

Restaurant
TITI is a culinary gem nestled in Lima, Peru, where the vibrant flavors of chifa—Peruvian-Chinese cuisine—come to life. With over 60 years of history, this beloved restaurant stands out in a city brimming with Chinese eateries. TITI's kitchen transforms simple ingredients into extraordinary dishes; their tallarin saltado bursts with smoky goodness and fresh veggies, while the kru yoc features crispy pork slices drizzled in a sweet glaze that keeps diners coming back for more.
We were very fortunate to have a relative help us secure a reservation at Titi Chinese Restaurant. This spot is extremely popular, and reservations can be difficult to get unless you plan ahead and make one with a deposit. We were told by several people that this was considered the best Chinese restaurant in town, so our expectations were definitely high going in. We went as a group of eight, all of us hungry and excited to try as much as we could. The restaurant has a reputation for its wide variety of dishes, so we decided to go all in and order family style, sharing everything at the table. In total, we ordered more than sixteen different dishes. I honestly couldn’t even begin to name them all, but that didn’t matter—every single one of them was outstanding. From seafood to meats to vegetables, everything was packed with flavor, beautifully cooked, and brought to the table steaming hot. One thing that stood out beyond the food itself was the service. For such a busy and in-demand restaurant, the staff never made us feel rushed. They were attentive, kept everything moving smoothly, and made sure our large table was well taken care of. The dishes arrived quickly, one after another, always fresh from the kitchen and piping hot, which made sharing them even better. Overall, the experience lived up to the hype. Between the quality of the food, the attentive service, and the energy of the place, I can easily see why it’s considered the best. If you are in town and love Chinese food, this is a must-visit—but definitely make a reservation in advance.

The food was average, service could have been a little better. Everytime we ordered something the waiter had to check back with someone, which took awhile and delayed everything. Kind of odd. The amount to MSG really gave a few of us a headache the following morning and much of the day
Alpesh P — Google review
All food reviews are subjective and this is from the point of view of an ethnic Chinese person from SE Asia who is a little bit of a foodie. My food rating reflects expectations for a pricy restaurant. We asked for less salt as prior experience showed us that Peruvians like more salt. Ordered the chaufa (with prawns, bbq meat), wan tan soup, garlic beef with black bean sauce (confusingly there is another dish with black bean sauce) and their apparent specialty sweet bbq pork ribs. The wantan soup came with very little soup and lots of loaded ingredients such as bbq pork, roasted duck, chicken strips, cabbage, pigeons egg and the eponymous wantan. The soup was pretty good - pity there was too little of it. The bbq pork and duck was v good with a hint of smoked flavor. The chicken was v tough but I suspect there because it was part of the broth (might be an old chicken or rooster). The wantan, however, was too large to fit into the mouth and the skin was very thick and the taste was mediocre. Overall a mixed result. I think can just leave out the egg, the chicken and balance out with more soup and cabbage. Also the wantan can be improved on wrt skin and size as mentioned. The chaufa was nicely done. Its taste was brightened by the plump shrimp pieces and the bbq pork (again the bbq). Thumbs up on this. The beef was good. It basically tasted like char grilled steak sliced and doused in a black sauce (I think black bean provides the basis). If it were up to me, I’d have added quite a bit more spring onions. The pork ribs - advertised as a specialty of the restaurant - was the biggest disappointment. The pork ribs did not have any “porky” taste and the meat texture was odd. It was overwhelmed by the sauce which I would say tasted exactly like the thai sweet chilli sauce I can buy at any random supermarket at home. I gave a 5 for atmosphere (for a tourist) as the restaurant was packed with Peruvians out for lunch. I gave a 3 for service because (a) the handle of the tea pot broke (it’s a cheap thing with plastic ties) and (b) they actually forgot our pork ribs order and had to be reminded so we ended the meal with the worse dish of the lot.

On my recent trip to Peru, Chifa Titi was a must on my list — from previous visits I knew it never disappoints, and for many (myself included) it’s considered one of the best chifas in Lima. Highly recommend making a reservation in advance, as it’s usually packed. We went on a Saturday night, party of five, and were warmly welcomed and seated right away. Our feast began with: Appetizers: BBQ pork ribs, a dozen crispy fried wontons, and roast duck with pickled turnip. Mains: Garlic roasted pork (my mom’s favorite), Chi Jau Kay chicken, Titi Special Fried Rice, and Sam Si Stir-Fried Noodles. As always, Chifa Titi delivered — everything was flavorful, perfectly cooked, and generously portioned. The next time I’m in Lima, I’ll be back here without a doubt.

With 1.6m Chinese in Peru, Chinese food take on a unique identity in this Latin America country as Chifa. We were in the neighborhood and thought would be nice to check out what the food is like. (We are ethic Chinese from Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong) Food here is about volume, not about quality. At least they cannot be judge with the same standard where we are from. The dim sum platter lack refinement and the skin were thick, ordered sweet and sour pork with pineapple but was served with canned peach instead. The roast duck was served in a pool of sauce and the fried noodles was bland and the taste and texture of noodles were poor. Only Lemon chicken and prawn omelette were acceptable. Go if you are curious just like us or you absolutely miss Chinese food.

One of the popular Chinese restaurants en Barillo Chino, Chifa San Joy Lao. Located in the heart of the pedestrian walkway they've got a great menu selection. We tried their 3rd option (for 2 people) which included sweet and sour chicken (pollo ti pa ka) and sliced bbq pork with green beans and garlic (chancho al ajo) accompanied with a heaping portion of rice and fried wantans I enjoyed the chicken, but founds the bbq a but bland. Same with the wantans, not a fan of it Please be warned, the portions are huge, set menu of 2 people is a lot, it was for 3 person.

(Translated by Google) The service and seasoning has declined a lot, before I went very often or ordered takeout especially during the pandemic. But despite everything, yesterday, April 9, 2024, I took a risk and ordered a takeaway wonton soup a la carte, total disappointment when I opened it at home, little meat, no vegetables, a lot of noodles, very little broth and to top it all off, it was tasteless. . It wasn't cheap, on the contrary, and I paid separately for the disposable and the cutlery that I didn't ask for. I thought I would have a delicious, hearty soup. It's difficult for a wonton soup to turn out ugly in a chifa because it is a dish that identifies them, but that's what it is, friends, a bad experience. So I NEVER GO TO CHIFA HAIYA AGAIN, THE FOOD IS NOT BAD, IT IS TERRIBLE. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT. Asi q NUNCA MAS VOY AL CHIFA HAIYA, NO ES MALA LA COMIDA, ES PÉSIMA. NO LO RECOMIENDO.

Madam Tusan is a Chinese-Peruvian fusion restaurant located in Miraflores, Lima. The establishment offers a delightful combination of Peruvian and Asian cuisine, creating a unique fusion for all palates. The menu features authentic dim sum dishes that have impressed visitors from various parts of the world, including Hong Kong. Guests have praised the steamed dim sum combo, particularly highlighting the Ha Gao and Duck Dumplings.
TRY THE WANTANS! The Chaufa platter is large enough for two people. While the restaurant doesn’t offer a waterfront view, it more than makes up for it with its fantastic food. Did you know that Chifa represents Peruvian-Chinese fusion cuisine? It's a must-try if you're in the area! For more details and our other top food recommendations, check out our full blog post!

I really enjoy going to Madam Tusan! Even though I speak Spanish fluently, I’ve noticed they do a great job communicating in English with foreign visitors. Their Pisco Sours are hands down the best in Lima—seriously delicious. The service is friendly and attentive, and the menu offers a wide variety of tasty dishes. Definitely recommend stopping by—and don’t leave without trying the pisco sour clásico!

Delicious food and the service was fantastic! Definitely try some of the dumpling appetizer if you go. Know that for the fried rice, the pieces of protein are small so if you're wanting a large portion of that type of protein, order it separately. The fried rice is delicious though!

Loved their food!! We ordered their Siu Kao Picante (spicy chicken dumplings) which were so delicious that we ended up ordering another plate! We also tried the Mayfan Singapur noodles with chicken and it was also great! The location of the restaurant is good and the staff were friendly. However, they had only 1 person in the entire restaurant who could communicate in English, so we had to call for her whenever we needed something (since we cannot speak Spanish). But she was very friendly and explained everything very well.

I don't know why this place is as popular as it is. The food is only average ok - although maybe this is because we usually only order daily specials. Not only is service slow, the last time we came here the waitress said she didn't know what the specials were, and then belittled our request by saying that people don't normally ask what deals are available - as if we were in place of fine dining looking for a cheap meal.
Jos H — Google review
I came here because of the great reviews and was looking forward to trying it, but the service left me very disappointed. I arrived with four others and we were seated right away, which was a good start. Unfortunately, it took 15 minutes before our server came over. Since the menu was vague, we asked for more time. After that, nearly 30 more minutes went by without anyone checking on us, even though our server stopped at the table right next to us. In total, we sat for 45 minutes without ever placing an order before deciding to leave. It’s hard to recommend a place that leaves guests waiting this long without attention. We ended up at Kion instead, where the service was prompt and the experience completely different.

My wife and I came there at 9 PM on a Sunday. The restaurant was not full- there were at least 10 tables open for seating. The hostess told us that there was no availability at the time, and upon being seated it would take an hour to get our food. We were in no hurry so we sat down to wait to be seated for 5 minutes. The hostess then turned her back and started talking to a co-worker. We realized that they just didn't want to serve us because it was slow and they just wanted to go home. The hostess was so happy when we told her that we decided to go somewhere else for dinner. I have been in the restaurant business for 30 years of my life and I recognize lazy staff when I see it. I will not return to a restaurant where the staff is so lazy that they discourage guests from eating there while arriving at 9 PM when the restaurant closes at 10PM. The staff here should find a new type of work where they can be lazy. The management and ownership should be embarrassed.

Restaurant Buffet Mandarín, a part of the Mandarin corporation, offers more than just your typical Chinese or oriental dining experience. In fact, it goes above and beyond by including a casino on its premises. However, what truly sets this establishment apart is its extensive buffet selection which arguably surpasses any other in Lima.
Very good buffet. Outstanding, especially for Perú. Best fries I have ever had from a buffet. I must have picked up fries 3 or 4 times because they were that good. And finally, a buffet that actually has labels with the food. The last few buffets I went to, mostly in Canada and England, always had missing labels. But this place had labels on everything.

The food was good, with Cantonese, Peruvian and fish/salad bars, ans well as a dizzying array of desserts. They have a full bar if you feel like a cocktail. Prices (Jul 2016) were very affordable (50 PEN / 17 USD) per person, plus drinks. They also have thematic nights for parties and private groups for groups.

I was on vacation in Lima with my husband and we decided to have lunch on this buffet. I had a very bad experience when I went to get food. One guy (on his 20s) was placing food screamed at me when I was getting food. I didn't do anything wrong, that just got food but he was very rude and disrespectful to me. I went to have a nice time with my husband and sister but instead I had a very bad experience. Food was good but the whole experience was very bad. I spent over 260 soles, over $70 plus tips. In general service wasn't nice so I don't recommend this place.
Terie E — Google review
It used to be a better place. I want to believe that due to the covid restrictions they have reduced many things although price has increased a bit. Now you can’t serve yourself, you have to ask a waiter to serve your plate and of course it is a bit difficult to get the right amount you wanted and the exact part of the dishes you wanted. Also, waiting lines increase and it can become a hard time each time you go for food. The variety of dishes has reduced dramatically and I’d say that taste is not as good as it used to be. It was really full for a Saturday lunch. The only good thing, they have parking lots for free for customers. Not worth going but still it is some of the few buffets in Lima. By the way, only Chinese and Peruvian dishes are quite good. The fish dishes were really bad. Pastry is quite acceptable too!

Excellent place for a staff do on the third floor. They catered admirably for 250 staff from my company with a very wide range of Peruvian Chinese, international and salad bar! It could however do with sprucing up as in parts it is a bit tatty and showing its age.

I like to eat Chinese food. This place has modified the menu to the pleasure of peruvian taste, so it is a good idea, so I will call it fusion Chinese Peruvian food. We ordered the roast duck and it was served with the format of a Peking duck skin with a very thin flour tortilla (instead of rice tortilla) and the vegetables were not quite Beijing style, which was something like a fusion. Then they served the rest of the duck meat with different vegetables. We had shrimp with a sweet sauce which was not honey, which is the traditional way with no walnuts. We had Chinese broccoli which was well prepared, fried rice with some shrimp, and other fusion Chinese dishes, but very delicious plates.

Average taste. Fresh ingredients and nice dishes but the prices are overrated and the service is too cold and snobbsh. The waiters even demand you leave a tip in cash which we haven't used in years because of covid. We spent around 700 soles per 8 people lunch, including a couple drinks. When we were about to pay they told us in a rude way they weren't accepting coupons or discount of any kind. Not what it used to be. Won't come back again and I suggest you stop coming unless strictly necessary to force the restaurant level up their service and food. Unless you happen to be class conscious that is.

Very pleased with our visit here; we came at 1830 and there was plenty of space in the upstairs part of the restaurant with a wonderful view. We are Chinese and have tasted the best Chinese cuisine in every continent. This restaurant barely passed the test. The food definitely isn't authentic Chinese but it is close enough. And I'm being generous. The service is lacklustre. The soup was not served hot. The chef isn't Chinese. The food in general just made the grade, but really nothing to get excited about. The restaurant is 'hidden' in a little corner of the complex. The only good thing about it is the atmosphere. And please play Chinese music in the background.

We found this Peruvian Chinese restaurant here at Larcomar. Place is clean with a good ambiance and staff are friendly and attentive. Food is tasty and satisfying with decent serving. Highly recommended.
Jun M — Google review
Unfortunately, my experience at your restaurant was disappointing due to poor service. While the food was reasonably good, the service fell far short of expectations. The male server was unfriendly from the beginning, setting a negative tone for the meal. The most unacceptable part came when I asked for my change. The amount was over my intended tip, so I requested the difference. Instead of handling this professionally, the server returned my change in an excessive and disrespectful manner—approximately 20 coins, including several ten-cent sol coins. This felt intentionally offensive, as though my request for change was unwelcome or bothersome. While I understand there may be language barriers or cultural differences, this behavior is unprofessional and unacceptable. A restaurant should value its customers and train its staff to treat everyone with respect, regardless of circumstances. I hope you take this feedback seriously and address the issues to prevent similar experiences for future customers.

The Siu Mai’s taste was ok, but pretty cold. The Min Pao was pretty tasty but not much filling. The sautéed noodles with pork was very tasty (especially the pork), but the noodles could be cooked longer. The lemonade was fresh and good! What frustrated us was that we waited around 10 minutes to get our bill; by that I meant we had to go to the counter otherwise we would have continuously been ignored. What was unacceptable was that they didn’t give us the device to enter the tip; instead they entered the tip themselves without consulting with us.

CHIFA KAM MEN is a popular chifa in Lima, known for its delicious and authentic dishes. While the menu may not be in English, the food speaks for itself with tasty dim sum soup and beef rice dishes. The restaurant can get busy, leading to some wait times and noise, but the quality of the food makes it worth it. The service is generally good and friendly. I do not understand how this place got so many good reviews. Ordered the wonton soup, house fried rice, beef crispy chow mein, and a chicken dish. Aside from the wonton soup, the other dishes tasted like they were cooked and then had soy sauce dumped on them. The flavors were not balanced nor did they taste authentic. They wonton soup was BLAH. I definitely do not recommend this place if you want good tasting Chinese food. We had a much better meal at Madam Tusan, which tasted like the authentic Chinese food I grew up eating.

The Chinese food in Peru 🇵🇪 is not of this world, I see the good and bad reviews but I have to say the bad must have came in on a bad day. The chifa with chicken was perfect, one of the best I've ever tasted. The chicken sofritas stood out because of the hints of cinnamon and the the beef in sauce was worth bragging about. This place impressed me! The vibes were nice, it secure and the staff is friendly. They have a book in case your not familiar with the menu. Restaurante Oriental Fu Sen offers a Chinese-Peruvian dining experience with a buffet that, while somewhat limited in variety, provides clean and safe surroundings. The Chifa cuisine is highly praised for its excellence and attentive service, although it may be considered slightly pricey. The restaurant is known for its good food and efficient service, despite challenges with parking availability.

Chifa Internacional is a highly recommended Chinese restaurant that has been a favorite for the past 20 years. It offers delicious food with excellent customer service, making it a great place for families and vegetarians. While not cheap, the affordable prices are worth it for those seeking an authentic and top-quality dining experience.
Food was superb, it is definitely like going back in time to these old “palace” looking Chifa places, for me it’s just full of character and the service, recommendations were also 10/10. Also, portions are gigantic so I definitely didn’t need to make dinner.

This is a huge Chinese restaurant....when you walk in you can sit on the right which is set menu or in main hall which is al a carte. I ordered 3 dishes....wonton as starter, chicken for main plus special fried rice. Starter and rice come within 90 seconds and main 1 min later....this food although flavourful was already made. Rice was luke warm at best....prices were on high end for a la carte. You best to sit to right side for set menu deals.

Four Seas International House, affectionately known as "4 mares," is a must-visit destination for anyone craving authentic Chifa cuisine in Lima, Peru. Nestled in San Borja, this restaurant has been delighting patrons since 2016 with its delectable blend of Chinese and Peruvian flavors. Diners rave about the juiceless meat Saho fan and the comforting siu kao soup, both of which showcase the restaurant's commitment to taste.
This is definitely my to go Chinese restaurant in Lima Peru. Been coming here since 2016 and let me tell you that you won’t be disappointed. Let’s get straight into what we order and always come out with a happy smile and happy stomach. Depending on how many people we are this is the way to go. 2-3 people we will order: 1 honey ribs (costillas a la miel), 1 fried rice with no soy sauce, yes you want to go this route and believe it’s wayyyy better than your typical Peruvian arroz chaufa (arroz frito sin siyao), some cream of corn if they have it (crema de choclo dulce), or some sautéed vegetables. If you are 4-6 people I would go for the same items mentioned above and will add the following: one steamed whole fish (pescado al vapor), one black pepper beef (carne de res a la pimienta negra) or another steamed or sautéed vegetable dish. Try to have them seat you upstairs for parties bigger than 6 people. It’s a little more private than downstairs. For hot summer days they are one of the few Chinese restaurants around that will have their AC’s on. They have two version of the menu, so always ask for both.

Chifa San Say Kay is a beloved gem in Lima's culinary scene, renowned for its consistently delicious and flavorful dishes that have stood the test of time. With over two decades of history, this establishment has maintained its high standards, offering a delightful array of options like the Sopa Wantan Especial and solid Chaufa. This one should rank higher in any best Lima Chifas list. Not only is the food just right and tasteful, they've also been consistent throughout the years. First time I ate here I was but a child, over 20 years ago. The flavor is the same and every dish I've tried is excellent. The service is also consistently nice and accomodating. The prices remain on the higher end for mid-priced Chifas, yet they could easily charge way more, somewhere along the line with Chifas like Wa Lok. This place is traditional and excellent. A gem. If you're waiting for a table (especially during weekends or holidays) be sure to checkout their small fishpond.

While the bathrooms are dimly lit and parking can be limited, the value for money is convenient.
Food is great as always. Great selection of succulent Chinese meals. I especially like their arroz chaufa, their chicken soup, their garlic pork, their chicken roll and their Kam Lu Wan Tan. Also, they have a special spicy onion and pepper pickle that they use as their spicy sauce which is the best compliment to the main dishes. Their bathrooms are kind of dark and they only have around 5 or 6 parking spaces so you may have to park at a nearby park. You can also order the meals as take out.

Madam Tuscan is definitely a place to avoid. Fast chifa that is not very tasty, with very slow service. The problem with the service was not the waiters, but the lack of sufficient staff. We waited almost 30 minutes to receive soup, fired wontons, and spring rolls. Then, the different duck plates, three in total, seemed to be missing the duck. We were all asking with disappointment, “where’s the duck?” The only plates that were good were the sweet and sour pork, the fried wontons, and the spring rolls. One plate never arrived at the table so we cancelled it so we could leave. This is definitely not a restaurant I will recommend to my friends, family, and colleagues.

My first experience at one of these Gaston Acurio's chifas, the Peruvian take on Chinese food. Tried the wantanes (classic and special, with classic being better than special, although both spectacular the same), some meat platter, and a chaufa, the Peruvian style fried rice, a surprisingly good dish. All in all, a highly recommended place.

The food was good, but we ordered a feast for a party of 8 and they brought us food for 6. We reviewed the list of food and one plate was missing. The waiter offered us the one missing plate but suddenly changed his mind and gave us extra sodas. Lack of supervisors ! Disappointed. Awful service.

We ordered the duck feast but their system crashed and we waited over 20 minutes between the 2nd and 3rd dish. When we complained they just shrugged their shoulders. The stuffing of the prawn dumplings has a foul smell and is far from fresh; and the ‘special’ fried rice is underwhelming in terms of ingredients. Lesson learned, when in Lima it’s better to stick to the Peruvian restaurants!

(Translated by Google) Sunday, January 21, approximately 9pm, the waitress approaches, I think her name was Carol, with a terrible attitude, she didn't know how to say hello and seeing her there was like seeing someone forced to be there, I REPEAT if you don't like your job, quit, but the customers are not to blame for your bad decisions. Very delicious food! Luckily, the waiter Alex stopped by to ask questions from time to time without our table being his... in the end I spoke to Alex to thank him and I gave him the tip. Manager please schedule a meeting with your team. THANK YOU ALEX FOR YOUR EXCELLENT SERVICE AND ATTITUDE.

(Translated by Google) This cool thing goes unnoticed but when you try it things change. The chaufa rice is excellent and the Tipakay I ordered was also very good, with authentic tamarind. Don't be carried away by the prices, the dishes are personal but can be shared if you choose several. Some things I didn't love were the small table, where the plates barely fit. Furthermore, it was very close to a wall and it was uncomfortable. I haven't seen any menu options on the menu either, which would have been excellent. On the other hand, there was only a cash payment option when I went, as indicated due to a problem in the system. However, having at least Yape or Plin to pay would have alleviated the situation. I paid with transfer. The environment had good lighting but soap operas were playing on the local television, a not very pleasant accompaniment. Beyond that I would try more.

(Translated by Google) I think it's a nice chifa restaurant for families, but keep in mind that the waiters' service and preparation of the food take a while. It gets quite busy during rush hour, so it's best to arrive before 1 pm. The food is good, with good fried rice, wonton soup, and fried wonton. Note that there's no chifa menu; they only offer a la carte dishes.

Amazing food. We went here because we saw them in a peruavian show called VIAJA Y PRUEBA. We order the house fried rice that comes with everything was a big portion and has all the meats very tasty and was necessary to combine with all the plates. We had also 1/2 portion of kam lum wantan? They brought the wantans separate from the sauce! Was a great idea so the kids also ate the wantas without the sauce. By the way the sauce was sweet and with a lot of pork and ingredients. We ordered also the tallarin frito with all meats, this dish was salty and savory, its a must. We ordered too a plate that was sweet with ckicken and fruit, has naranja china(very small chinesse orange and chinesse chirimoya) if you like sweet its a must too. Dont forget to get the nabo encurtido that is a traditional peruvian relish to eat with your peruvian chifa. My kid got crema volteada that was very creamy and not too sweet as dessert was a perfect dish to finish our meal.

Simply amazing. As usa raised but Peruvian born chifa addict, I enjoyed every bite of every dish I was able to taste. The rich flavors of the meals where simply stunning. This place is real gem! amazing food, with very hefty portions. The food flavor is just amazing, and the service is great too! We tried a couple of dishes to try a little bit of everything, and it was a very pleasant journey. The food is a rip off. One Problem is they always hide five soles of your change in the folder with the bill after you paid. Happens every time. It's robbery. Not the first time. Latest from fong loy. The portions are rediculous small. Chancho with tamarind had 3 small pieces of pork. Yesterday ordered chaufa de chancho.14.50 soles.zero pieces of pork. Absolute rip off. Never eat there again. Zero stars.

Average food. Service is good. The worse part is the chef/owner cheating on us. We would like to order ducks and asked for details on the menu since there were no details explanation. We were told they have is PeiJing duck and the price on the menu. I think what we ended up having is the usual Hong Kong style duck and we were charged 100 pen for the duck. I didn’t see any price said 100 pen on the menu for ducks. It is not a big money but this behavior just show how greedy the owner is. I will stay out this restaurant for good. One star is overrated for this restaurant.

Good food, very bad customer service. Only 2 waiters servicing all tables. Our waiter committed two errors in our order, did not want to admit his error, and put the blame on us. Also they didn't want to serve all our orders at the same time, so we already lost appetite, and we're still waiting for 2 orders. I won't recommend this place.
