Hotel
Mardi Gras Public Bar & Hotel is an adults-only getaway located near Blackpool North train station. It's known for its vibrant atmosphere and welcoming environment. The hotel offers down-to-earth rooms, free breakfast, and a lively bar. Guests appreciate the awesome hospitality, great food, and pet-friendly policy. Conveniently situated in Blackpool, it's within walking distance of attractions like Coral Island and Winter Gardens. The hotel provides comfortable accommodation with well-equipped guestrooms and bathrooms.
Visited the bar with friends who were down for a couple of days. Been here twice now and had a really good night both nights. Seems to be a really good crowd go here. They had drag and karaoke on and it was just a really good atmosphere. Drink prices were great compared to many other places. It's a nice looking bar too with a quiet area across the corridor which has a pool table. Not expected, but both nights I've been were very busy. Will definitely be my place to go next time I'm out which isn't that often these days. Bar staff were lovely too.

1st visit a few weeks ago. Will definitely be back. Drink very cheap and general atmosphere friendly. However... young guy with the baseball cap (James?) behind the bar had a serious attitude problem and made us feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable.

Booked in February for May as a birthday gift. Would have been a first time in Blackpool and specifically chose this hotel as it was LGBT and had good reviews. The owners cancelled our booking with no reason given. Absolutely gutted because now all of the other hotels we'd like to have stayed in are fully booked and weren't at the time we had booked this one.
Rebecca L — Google review
We arrived at 3pm on the Sunday. Had to walk into the bar to get the room key. The room was very very cold and smelt of mold. The sheets was stained. The music from downstairs was soooooo loud we just wanted a night away. Nope that did not happen had to leave at 7.30pm as the noise and the drunks was too much we knew this was going to be going on till atleast 3am. Would not recommend if you want a quiet night away.
Matthew H — Google review
All I would say on a positive if your looking for a party night/weekend this place is for you, we were looking for a little getaway but ended up leaving after 2 hours and not staying as the music was way too loud in the room
James J — Google review
The Mardi Gras hotel is run by lovely staff. Great welcome and great value for money. My #1 choice when I go to Blackpool. Live entertainment almost every night

Seagull Hotel is a laid-back property located just off the main promenade in Blackpool, offering simple yet comfortable rooms with free WiFi and a hospitality tray. The hotel boasts a bar where guests can unwind and enjoy complimentary breakfast cooked to perfection. With its spotlessly clean rooms and friendly owners, Janet and Graham, Seagull Hotel provides a welcoming atmosphere for visitors.
Absolute gem of a find, we had booked somewhere else but read some really terrible reviews so we changed our minds and booked in at the Seagull, so thankful that we did. Lovely clean room with spacious en suite, great facilities and a lovely breakfast included in the very reasonable price. Janet is a lovely host and made our stay very pleasant. We will be back!

Amazing hotel! Highly reccomend to anyone that is staying in Blackpool! This hotel should be a 5 star! 🌟 Me and my partner stayed for the weekend and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here from start to finish. The rooms were flawless, the Hosts were lovely and the full English breakfast was great too!! Situated in a quite location but close enough to everything you need! Perfect! Will definitely be back with the children next time ❤️ THANK YOU. 🥰

Such a lovely place, made all the more lovely, by the wonderful hosts!! The room was great, fab big bathroom. Comfy beds & it was so quiet. You don't hear any noise from outside. Everything you could possibly want is just a very short walk away
Susan S — Google review
Lovely little hotel close to the promenade (about 100 yards) me my patner my daughter and grandaughter had a nice cosy familly room it had a nice comfy double bed and bunkbeds as wide as 3 quarter beds a nice big bathroom with a big curved shower, the room had a nice big tv a kettle withe tea coffee and biscuits a nice big fan a decent wardrobe and chest of drawers.Bedside cupboards with lamps a lovely downlit ceiling .The host was a lovely lady and made us welcome from arrival there was plenty of choice for breakfast.Absolutely cracking place and very reasonably priced too we stayed 09/8/2025. I would advise anyone driving and needing parking to use the old church car park at the top of the street it,s £7.00 for 24 hours, we used 1 thats just a couple of minutes walk up the street that you have to pay online it cost me 18 quid found the church one when i went to local shop. I didn,t get the owners name but she was lovely had a great stay. 🙂

Simply the best small hotel in Blackpool. Janet and Graham are the best hosts you could possibly imagine. The hotel is immaculate and beautiful. The rooms brilliant. Attention to detail is obvious everywhere. Breakfast menu is excellent and the food is absolute quality. You turn up as guests and leave as friends Wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Originally booked for 2 nights with my daughter (extended our stay an extra night it was that good) Summary So glad I booked this hotel, was made very welcome, price was brilliant for area and location. Hosts went above and beyond to ensure we had a brilliant stay. I personally will be back again and look no further when I do. Will also recommend to anyone reading this and friends and family. 10/10 Breakfast Continental breakfast was available on top of a full English breakfast served with Tea, coffee and toast. Never had to wait long. Hosts were brilliant chatting away making you feel at home which was nice. The Room Immaculate cleaned, no dirty it was spotless Room can get cold after 9pm but portable fan and electric heater is provided. Great room size for price. Hairdryer also included Lots of storage Location Centre of the promenade Ideal if you have kids (saves long walks) Parking No parking on-site but crystal parking 1min walk away is £7 for every 24hrs.

The down-to-earth rooms offer sea views and come with en-suite bathrooms, Freeview TVs, radios, and tea/coffee making facilities. Guests can enjoy free parking and a restaurant that serves a tasty breakfast. Visitors have praised the friendly staff who are accommodating to special requests such as allergies. The hotel offers clean and fresh rooms, some with beautiful sea views, providing a comfortable stay for guests.
This hotel offered exceptional value for money. It was impeccably clean, from the lounge area to the bathrooms and the bedroom. During the winter months, it provided a warm and comfortable atmosphere. Located slightly away from the hustle and bustle, it was just a few stops from the main attractions, ensuring easy accessibility. The breakfast was excellent and accommodated a variety of preferences. The owners were exceedingly polite, friendly, and helpful. I am very grateful for my experience and would highly recommend this establishment; I will undoubtedly return. Maxine.

Really nice hotel and very friendly staff. Rooms very clean with lovely shower/bathroom and hotel shower gels/shampoo. Breakfast was great with a fantastic choice - full English or fruits/cereal - juices and all at a great price. Bedroom floorboards a little creaky but other than that only good things to say and especially the service. Well done queens plaza and thank you.

Overall wasn’t great. We decided to head up to see the Christmas lights for the weekend. Booked the superior room with sea view. Arrived Friday night, staff were lovely but the room wasn’t great. The extractor fan was so noisy we couldn’t use the light in the toilet without having to turn the tv to full volume. I tapped it hoping it may quieten it down but a screw just fell out… Dated interior, cheap furniture, mattress was thin, we made the assumption it was going to be like that for most the rooms so decided to leave Saturday morning. Before we left we thought we’d read some of the bad reviews and they mentioned the owners didn’t take criticism well, so when I returned the key I just mentioned the bed wasn’t great, the lady’s reply was “everyone else enjoys it and it’s never been a problem”. Implying we were the issue. We won’t be returning or recommending anyone else stays. Read the bad reviews as they are more inline with the current state of the hotel. Unfortunately unable to upload the videos we had taken of the room and the extractor fan. The gentleman who works there was lovely.

Lovely people running it however... Bathroom tiny , sink tiny ,no hot water its set at a temperature where its luke warm which i felt was a let down if honest ,Personally I ended up with a hotel room which is to small for whats intended , filling kettle in shower and waiting for a nice shower that never came.... £ 75 a night Mmmmm .

Wonderful Hotel, nice rooms, friendly staff willing to help at all times, One of the best breakfasts around, well worth a stay. on the Blackpool tram route (nearest stop is Bispham about 3 to 4 minutes for us old timers) so just park you car on their free parking and use the trams and buses.

This award-winning establishment boasts en suite bedrooms equipped with modern amenities like iPod docks, ensuring a comfortable stay. Guests can indulge in a delightful breakfast made from locally sourced ingredients, served daily to kickstart your day on the right note.
We stayed here for an impromptu break to see the illuminations. The room was beautifully decorated and very clean, it had two comfy big beds big enough to fit my family of four. There was a TV , tea and coffee facilities and a hairdryer etc. the breakfast in the morning was delicious and the hosts were very accommodating to my two young children. The b and b is close enough to the illuminations and sights but far enough to be quiet . Would recommend and definitely love to go back!

Unreal little find! North Crest is an absolute gem in Blackpool. The hosts are amazing, both made us all feel welcome and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was incredible!! Kathie and Pete have clearly worked so hard, they absolutely deserve 10 stars let alone 5. The rooms are immaculate and lots of little touches that made the stay even better such as hair dryers in the room and lampshades with fitted chargers. Thank you so much! We will definitely back.

The rooms were great, well equipped, tidy, clean, and even a complimentary KitKat! The breakfast in the morning is brilliant, with other options on the breakfast bar. I would definitely recommend this hotel and I would definitely stay here again if I was to return to Blackpool! The hosts were amazing and made us all feel welcome.

Comfortable bed, the room was tastefully decorated, loved the little bar area and the outside garden with nice seating area. Kathie and Pete were amazing hosts - friendly, professional. Nice clean b&b. The room was spotless, the breakfast was great. ( probably the best I've ever had) Pete and Kathie are great hosts and Ollie was lovely. The bar is a nice touch and very cheap with a wide range of drinks. Tea,coffee and biscuits in the rooms, fridge with bottled water and fresh milk. Couldn't fault it at all. Hopefully we will be back but I can see this place being booked up

Barrons Hotel in Blackpool offers casual rooms, some with bunk beds, and a cosy bar, lounge, and breakfast. The hotel is conveniently located around a 10-minute ride from Sandcastle Waterpark. Private parking is available for an additional fee. The rooms feature comfortable double beds, smart TVs with streaming services, and attached showers. The staff is known for their exceptional service and willingness to assist guests.
I've stayed at this hotel a while ago, and it was one of the best hotels I have ever been to. Firstly, in the big family rooms with 6 beds, those beds are comfy and clean, probably, the best night's sleep I've ever had. Secondly, in those big family rooms, they come with an actual jacuzzi. Thirdly, they have at least 1 or 2 TVs for every room. And finally, the location of this hotel is super close to the beach. Overall, it is a place that I'd look forward to next time.

Me and my partner booked a stay here through hotels.com , we traveled up from Southampton arrived at this hotel on the 29th and got home today, service is 10/10 the people who own it are lovely !! Parking spaces right outside , breakfasts always smelt lovely , we used the tea coffee hot chocolate station every morning very good , bar on site until 11pm so good if you need any alcoholic drinks to your room… family friendly, good for just going away with friends or as a couple , our room was nice. Refurbished . Smart tv , hair dryer , mugs , kettle etc..close to absolutely everything you would possibly need to be close to! We would come back again

LYING THIEVES!!!! Booked this hotel via telephone and price was agreed at £370 I paid £170 deposit and once arrived at the hotel they advised price is now £570. Deposit non refundable they have lied and scammed us out of £200 more than stated! Absolutely DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!😡😡😡😡
Courtney W — Google review
Stayed here for one night and upon arrival the room was inspected and I found bed bugs hairs and stains on the bed which I believe to be dried blood and human faeces. The room smellt damp and when spoken to the manager he stated he was not giving a refund and he could only change the sheets that is all but the mattress itself was filthy as well as the sheets. The food was appalling tasted hard and uncooked chicken on the bone and use of the same cutlery to cut pork and chicken!! Major health concerns and risks. Do not bother coming to this hotel save your money and time!! I do not recommend this hotel at all. Staff was very rude especially the guy at reception and his unwillingness to resolve this issue is evident of the clear fact this place needs shutting down !!
Julian R — Google review
This was horrendous 😢. There is so much things that are bad like the broken floor in room 9 and the bathroom leaking water in room 3 . There was no complimentary water, the owner said drink tap water disgusting 😑. There was nearly enough to keep someone alive. I felt like suffocating by the room being so hot. No ac in the rooms bed squeaking when you shift your self. Overall Barrons hotel is horrendous and horrible.
Zakariya Z — Google review
Give this place a wide berth we arrived Friday the 8/8/25 and tried putting us in a room that smelt of chip fat, I asked them for a full refund and they said they could not do that, then they moved us next door in there other b@b well that was not no better, they shower was thick black mould the bed was full of stains as were the quilt and pillows they was all dirty marks on the walls and just thick black muck on the skirting boards, iv never in my life stayed in such a dirty place the two ladys who work there a lovely and work so hard, needs closeing down and re decorating from top to bottom, wires hanging down, holes in walls think twice before booking.......

Front of the hotel is nice but the rooms are not up to the standards leaking ceiling holes in the wall breakfast and dinner not much choice

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Blackpool, the Ashley Victoria Hotel offers a delightful blend of comfort and convenience. This luxurious establishment features relaxed rooms and suites, some boasting stunning sea views. Guests can enjoy modern amenities such as en-suite bathrooms, PlayStation 3 consoles, and heated towel rails. The hotel is just a stone's throw from the seafront and local attractions like Blackpool Tower and Pleasure Beach, making it an ideal base for exploring the area.
First of all, I would like to thank the lovely staff at this hotel who made our night away perfect. On arrival, the staff was so helpful and engaging with my two children. The hotel is recently taken over so is under going some renovations. The rooms were clean and spacious. The location is perfect very central and in a family area. The barman was very chatty and helpful also with some information about the surrounding area. My two children enjoyed the games room, as I've said it is basic but undergoing TLC and I believe this is going to be such a fabulous hotel. As it has so much potential. We will definitely be coming to stay here again. Thankyou so much for a wonderful night!
Samantha H — Google review
The only positive was the location. Booking.com is extremely misleading with this hotel and should be held accountable for any bad experience at this hotel. Firstly, booking.com tells us that it’s £7.50 for overnight parking at the premises but upon arrival was charged £10, the host was friendly but ultimately couldn’t really speak much English so it was hard to communicate. Secondly, we stayed in room 001, the toilet seat was broken to the point where it was almost impossible to sit down, nevertheless it was filthy. The sink had dirt and phlegm stains in it and the silicone around the shower was mouldy which can cause serious health issues. Not acceptable. Finally, the bedding smelt like cigarettes smoke with the bed and pillows also being extremely uncomfortable. This hotel should not be rated 4 star on booking.com, more like a 2 at best. They also advertise a fully licensed bar which is false advertising! They even advertise it in the bedrooms, this was quite possibly the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE EVER!

Me and my son needed a room for the night so we could experience the Pleasure Beach. This was a great choice, just a 10 minute walk away. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was also clean with clean towels and soaps provided. We enjoyed a full English breakfast the following morning and were set for the day ahead. The staff were very kind and accommodating. We couldn’t make the check in time so we left our bags with them and they organised to leave a key in the lock box which we could pick up that night. Would definitely use again. Thank you ☺️

When we arrived at the hotel we got a very friendly welcome! There is on street parking, & the owner directed us to the best place. Our room was lovely & clean, with comfy beds, & we were very satisfied. When we needed more tea & coffee for the room, there was no problem & it was provided straight away! We will definitely be back here, we had a very relaxing weekend!
Claire G — Google review
The person on reception was really friendly and the hotel is in a good location, but unfortunately the room itself was quite dirty (mouldy shower, lots of dead flies on the bathroom wall, chewing gum on the window, brown stains on the white bedding, dirty shelf and the cups had been put upside down so we didn’t fancy using them…) so we definitely won’t be staying there next time. Going by other reviews I think we just had bad luck on our visit, but it’s still put me off going back.

I arrived on Thursday 14th August 2025. I pulled up on to the drive and was expecting free parking and the amount of rubbish that is scattered round the building is not what I was expected regarding that it’s supposed to be a 4* establishment. I was met by a gentleman informing me that it was £10 a night to park and it has to be cash! We were able to check in and take our bags to the room. I got into my room and it was actually quite decent. Apart from, you could see that dirt had run down the wall, the carpet could do with a vacuum. The bathroom, on the hand basin the taps were the wrong way round in terms of you are expecting cold water to come out but got hot water. After my first impressions I didn’t use any of the wardrobes or cupboards just in case I found something I didn’t want to see. Personally I wouldn’t stay here again but is in a good location for Blackpool and Tourist attractions
Russell H — Google review
Easy check in just for 1 night. Location more near pleasure beach than Tower. Triple room 126 which was basic but clean with nice bedding and good towels. Tea and coffee plus 2 btles water. Our room was 2 star at the most but the other rooms do appear to be nicer probably for longer stay guests. Bit of tlc needed but for the price definetly cannot complain. Shower fine but didn't drain very quick. No fridge No hairdryer
Catherine M — Google review
The only positive about this hotel was the location. Everything else was unacceptable and completely misrepresented on Booking.com. Our “upgraded sea-view room” was filthy: mould in the bathroom, hair on the walls, dirty sheets, bodily fluids on furniture, broken drawers, and even a used sanitary product stuck to the ceiling. My daughter also discovered droppings in her bed. Dirty skirting boards and beds covered in nuts and shell. The skybox was hanging off the wall being held up by staples. Reception was uncontactable, the parking arrangements were misleading and charged at £10 per night, and the property overall was unsafe and neglected. We had no choice but to stay one night due to limited availability, but immediately booked elsewhere for the rest of our trip. This property is falsely advertised as a 4-star hotel and poses serious hygiene and safety concerns. It should be inspected, stripped of its rating, and removed from Booking.com’s listings. The Atlantis Hotel is a townhouse lodging located in the Blackpool Centre district, offering relaxed rooms and a casual bar. Guests can enjoy a free full English breakfast and Wi-Fi during their stay. The hotel's ideal location allows easy access to Blackpool's nightlife and attractions, with the town center, shows, and car parking just a few minutes' walk away. The 3-star hotel also features en suite rooms, hospitality trays, and a pool table for entertainment.
We recently stayed at the Atlantis Hotel in Blackpool, and we were very impressed with its fantastic location. Situated right next to Coral Island, one of Blackpool’s most popular attractions, it was perfect for our family. Everything we wanted to see, from the beach to the pier, was just a short walk away. This made it incredibly convenient for exploring the city without needing to rely on transportation. The breakfast at the Atlantis Hotel was delicious and a real highlight of our stay. There was a good variety of options, from hearty full English breakfasts to lighter choices like cereals and fruit. It was freshly cooked and very satisfying, setting us up perfectly for a day of sightseeing. The quality of the food and the portion sizes really stood out, making it excellent value for money. Speaking of value, the price of the stay was very reasonable for a family. We found it to be one of the more affordable options in the area, yet it didn’t compromise on quality. The hotel is ideal for families on a budget, offering comfortable accommodations without breaking the bank. Considering its central location and the quality of the services provided, it was a great deal. The rooms were clean and tidy, exactly what you hope for when traveling with kids. The housekeeping was attentive, and everything felt well-maintained. The staff were also incredibly friendly and welcoming, always available to answer any questions or give recommendations. Communication was excellent, from booking to check-out, making the whole experience smooth and stress-free. We’ll definitely be returning to the Atlantis Hotel on our next trip to Blackpool.

Stayed here for a dancing event at Blackpool Tower. Room was £60 for the night for 2 people including breakfast. Room was awful. Mould on the walls, damp bedding, shower didn't drain so had to have a 1 minute shower. However we didn't spend much time here. Breakfast was lovely. Limited to a certain amount of breakfast items per person but overall it reflects the price.

No issues with the hotel for the price I paid. Excellent location, room was fine, water was hot, breakfast was cooked well and check in was easy. I did like the coded access as it made life easier for me not to have to carry a key card around. Staff always accessible via messages and responded in quick time. Very happy with my stay.

Just got home from staying a couple of nights here. The rooms are a bit basic but for the price absolutely fine lovely comfy beds and bedding. We had one issue that required us moving rooms but the way the staff dealt with the situation was very fast and professional, any room could have a issue but what counts is how the staff deal with the situation and in this case 10/10 also the breakfast in with it and plenty of choice was fantastic also the location is absolutely spot on. We will be back

Disgusting place. We’ve stayed at a bunch of hotels and B&Bs in Blackpool over the years, I’ve always enjoyed a cheap and cheerful B&B. This place, however, was grim. 100% the dirtiest place I’ve ever been in. The whole hotel was filthy. Our rooms looked like they hadn’t had a proper clean in years. Mucky, dirty floors, gross bathroom and unwashed bedsheets. I know this place is cheap, but in my experience cheap doesn’t necessarily mean that you’re happy to live in filth. Breakfast is self-serve, which would be fine if there were any hygiene standards to speak of…I can’t even imagine what that kitchen looked like. Poor quality food just dumped on top of old existing food. Places like this give affordable B&Bs a bad name. How someone thinks this is an appropriate way to run a business is beyond me. The owners must be dirty, disgusting and lazy, or they just don’t care enough to maintain a reasonable standard for their guests. If I was offered free access to this hotel for the rest of my life, I would still never return.

My wife and I stayed here for one night ( that was enough) November 28th 2024 bed too big for the room couldn’t open bathroom door properly. Eventually found the light switch in the room it was behind the wardrobe so unusable. When we arrived we thought we had walked into a fridge, the heating did come on later but didn’t heat the room up, it was so cold we went out and bought a hot water bottle for the bed, also slept in thick long sleeve shirt, pj bottoms and thick bed socks. Couldn’t have a wash in the morning as no hot water also couldn’t have a shave as no mirror in the bathroom, also toilet brush was a health hazard, just pleased I didn’t go for a shower. We can’t comment about the breakfast as we left at 6am because we had enough. I also think I was told wrong about the parking on the road at this time of year so I paid £19 for car park. All in all this b and b doesn’t deserve any stars at all. The owner asked me for a 10 out of 10 review sorry couldn’t lie. Would we recommend it, only to be condemned.

Just back from a fabulous weekend break. Hotel was fantastic for our needs of a large group. Rooms are basic but clean & met our needs. The best thing about this hotel is the friendly staff. Especially the chef who went above & beyond his duties. Nothing was too much trouble.
Nicola B — Google review
The hotel was easily located on the Blackpool seafront about 2.5 miles south of Blackpool, but only 50 yards from a tram stop bringing you right into the heart of the town. The staff were friendly and the room was everything you needed, clean and tidy with ensuite and tea/coffee making facilities. The only thing I would say is that I would suggest 4 pillows on the bed instead of 2.
Mike D — Google review
Lovely welcome and very informative. Room was small but clean. No bedside lights. No plug for kettle in right place. Shower worked well and had good pressure, however dripped all night. Breakfast was fine, lovely chef who kept checking on us. Fab location nice and quiet

Nice clean room but 2 pillows each would be perfect. We had trouble with our room but the manager moved us very quickly to a sea front room which was nice and quiet. Its very handy for the tram which is just over the road.

A calm and thoughtful check-in, probably matching rooms to the ages and abilities of our family, my parents are in their 80's.We were shown where the lift was and helped with our luggage. My dad decided he wanted a cooked breakfast that wasn't booked and paid for the night before, so after a little chat with the chef, he organised and made him a cooked breakfast which helped us out alot. For looking after people the hotel was great, only negatives were not having a hairdryer and bedside lamps in my opinion. I would definitely recommend. Thankyou for a lovely overnight stay.

We stayed here for a short weekend away in blackpool. We were greeted by a very friendly man at reception who told us about our stay, rules etc. The lobby and corridors look quite dated and somewhat clean, but I wouldn't say dirty either. The room was a good size and matched the overall dated looking theme. The bed was clean and reasonably comfy. The bathroom looked very old and did not look clean. The shower head was practically black with what I assume was mould. There was a very oddly placed canvas that was hiding several holes in the wall, I assume a previous guest got angry with the wall and punched it a few times... The room came with a good-sized TV and some bits to make a tea/coffee (but no milk). Our nights sleep was horrible. There was a pigeon nesting outside our window cooing constantly, and someone next door snoring loudly. At around 5am, there was a fast-paced banging noise as if someone was banging drums. We never found out what this was. The hotel has free street parking outside, however, limited spaces and is a short drive from the town centre with a tram link just over the road.
James S — Google review
The experience myself and my daughter had at this hotel was truly remarkable... most friendliest and welcoming staff who helped us out prior to a other hotel canceling on us. The room was immaculate comfortable and very cosy and spacious. Had bath and shower in bathroom. It's a good walk away from city centre but that's what I wanted away from the hustle and bustle for a good night's sleep. Didn't want to leave but will definitely be booking again very soon was home from home ♥ 10/10 Also smells very clean and nicely decorated

Spent the weekend at Rossall House what a beautiful place it is, the decor, the cleanliness, the food but most of all the hosts. Andy, jo and Grace were so friendly nothing was too much trouble, Jo remember what you had for breakfast from the day before and ensured you had plenty to eat. The choices for breakfast covered everything from cereal to toast to a full English, never ending hot and cold drinks. The rooms were decorated to a very high standard and the attention to detail was amazing. The rooms had facilities to make yourself a hot drinks and also if you wanted anything from the bar Jo and Andy would bring it up to your room. We were central to all that Blackpool offers and saw the light switch on. We will definitely be going back Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts 💕

We stayed in a double room, bed was very comfy, room was clean and up to standard. Vic was very helpful and very knowledgeable with regarding to the social clubs, and very chatty. Breakfast was nicely presented and very tasty, much better than spoons, good value for money. If we return to blackpool we would certainly stay in the hotel again. Thank you Vic for all your help.

Had a wowcher gift from my sister to stay here and after several attempts to contact the hotel to register the voucher and book the room I had to get hold of wowcher to contact them. We finally managed to get the booking done and had a booking confirmation sent by email. When I arrived at the hotel the place looked like it hadn't been open for some time and there was no response from the phone number provided. I then googled the hotel to see if there was another way of contacting them and on doing so came across a review from 2 weeks ago where someone had the same thing and the photos they provided in the review shows the hotel looking exactly the same as we found it so god knows why they are taking bookings if they have no intention of being open for their guests 👎

We stayed in one room for two nights in which it was okay but only things negative was there was no cold water coming out of tap only hot, and plug for TV had to go across floor to plug socket even with extension in which was sparking. Having three children this was hazardous. We changed room for one more night and there was more space for the 5 of us in which suited us more and was lovely and bright. Cleanliness was absolutely spot on couldn't fault it at all. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice with a good time we were anxious breakfast would be super early but 9am was perfect for us. VERY family friendly hotel Vic spoke to children and make us comfortable on our stay. Thank you both. Hayley room 8/9

A diabolical hole within society where time and cleanliness cease to be. Upon arriving the smell was horrible throughout the hall. Me and wife stood for 20 minuets waiting to be greeted before we realised our key was just left on the side with a note saying what room number. No directions to room. Nobody to welcome us and no door number on room. The room was unclean. Hairs in the sink and shower. Cracked tiles and stains in the bathroom. Absolutely zero soap or hygiene stuff....i mean Absolutely none. Not even a bar of soap. Tbe room was freezing and the heating was off the whole time. We had a kettle and tea bags but no cups. Only half a used bog roll for us. Also we booked this with a free bottle of wine. Once we finally caught up with the guy who seemed to be running it we asked if it was possible to swap it for a few cans of guiness to which he said yes he will drop them in the room soon. We went out came home late and no beers. We found the pack if guiness the next morning In the hallway downstairs opened and half drank. Also we noticed tbey seemed to dump all guest in rooms right next to each other all he had all night was screaming kids yet the hotel had many rooms available. Will not recommend this place to an illegal let alone anyone els

Had a loverly stay with the family. Husband, wife and son could not do no more for you. The breakfast and their cooking in general was out standing. I would definitely stay here again. The rooms were spotless and newly refurbished. The beds was really comfy, was a home from home
Jordan K — Google review
For the price it was ok. Even taking into account the owners only took over in may 2019, certain things shouldn't have been an issue for example, the wooden toilet seat was totally broken and very loose. Bathroom generally not very clean. Other than that, owners pleasant, breakfast good value for money. Would be interesting to see the venue in 12 months time
Ros C — Google review
Was a bit upset about the condition of.my room..no towels..tv lead hanging down..the plug socket was loose and milk out of date. The room was like sleeping in a cupboard. But as this hotel is often used by friends and the owner says they are doing work to it..perhaps a great improvement will be made. Can not fault the owner who was friendly and maybe I would rebook if the improvements are made.

Just stayed at By The Seaside Blackpool for a couple of nights. Stayed in Room 6 on the top floor. Very large spacious room with seating area. Mini bar, High quality tea and coffee tray with luxury biscuits, sweet jar! Beautiful B&B, lovely decor and everywhere is spotless. Had drinks in the bar where you can play your own music videos on the TV etc. All drinks were good prices. The breakfast was outstanding. Never seen such a choice of buffet items and then a breakfast menu cooked to order which was excellent quality. The hosts Denise and Steve were so welcoming. Would 100% stay again and would recommend to anyone looking for a quality place to stay in an excellent location. Thank you

By The Seaside is a beautiful nautical themed B&B. The couple who run it are amazing and went above and beyond for us all that stayed there for the football tournament. The room we had was spacious and had an ensuite shower/sink/toilet. The breakfast that you could help yourself too had an amazing range and there is something for everyone. The Full English (had a veggie option too) and Eggs Benedict were fantastic.

A hidden gem! Beautifully decorated throughout, cosy but modern. Immaculately clean with thoughtful touches. The owners are very welcoming and approachable, Denise is lovely x Breakfast is excellent with lots of choice, cooked breakfast made to order...chefs kiss! Very reasonable prices for the mini bar in the rooms x An excellent stay for me and my partner, we will definitely vidit again ❤

The best B&B in Blackpool 🤩 me and my partner had such a lovely stay over the weekend and could not recommend By The Seaside enough! The room was so clean and comfy we could have spent the weekend in there and when getting ready there was a whole dressing table with a studio style white lamp which was PERFECT! As well as tea and coffee there was also a proper coffee machine which was a lovely edition. The host Denise made breakfast in the morning and we could not fault it- I had eggs benedict and it was unreal 🍳🍳 there was also plenty to choose from in the continental section. In the evening the bar was lovely and hosts were so welcoming and happy to chat with us ☺️ Overall, it was a lovely stay, full of little details that pulled it all together and we would happily visit again!

The rooms are beautiful exactly like the pictures, the full place is beautiful. The location is great a little walk away from the centre but perfect to get away from the noise of the main strip. Unbelievably clean one of the most cleanest accommodations I have stayed in. The breakfast is beautiful. The host is great very relaxed and easy to talk to and quick to deal with issues which you won’t have. Overall made my full stay at Blackpool very comfortable and enjoyable not a single complaint. Great place to stay if you're looking for a quieter stay in Blackpool. Extremely clean large room. Note that it is some distance from the north pier approx.20 minute walk but if you don't mind a walk and like a bit of peace it's perfect. The owner was extremely welcoming and friendly the facilities were just what you needed. Close to a pub that serves meals, a pay as you go car park, a local co-op, and several cafes, the promenade, and a local tram stop. Being further out meant there were no disturbances at night and a the breakfast the following morning was lovely. Sorry didn't take pics too busy enjoying our weekend.

We spent 2 nights in this little hotel. Ignore the 1 star reviews. It’s Blackpool at the end of the day. Also the owner is Scottish, expect her to be abrupt. We found the owner to be great, good banter and she looked after us. Breakfast was absolutely banging. Bed was a bit hard but again to some people they would like that. Fantastic location. Short 20 minute walk across the beach front and your in the main bit. Or catch the tram which is pretty much 2 mins away. Will definitely stay here again.

We stayed here roughly a month ago. Honestly what a lovely place to stay, we had our dog with us and they couldn’t do enough for us! So friendly and welcome. We didn’t arrive until late due to traffic but we was still made to feel extremely welcome. The breakfast was so tasty and a really good price, they even gave my dog a sausage in which demolished within seconds. We will be booking again when we next go to Blackpool ☺️

We booked a night because my daughter had a dance comp the next day and Megan and her family were fabulous hosts, nothing was too much trouble and so friendly. We enquired if evening meal was available which they don’t normally provide but would arrange a pie meal (pies made by them and very full and tasty😋) and I can say it was more than worth the price 🤩. We had a triple room with private bathroom, the room was very comfy and spotlessly clean as was the bathroom and the shower was powerful too. We would most certainly be booking again

I had a great visit easy to find and very close to the beach and shops. Price was good and dot is amazing. Dot cantered for me as I'm autistic I was in room 3 and its nice, Clean and big enough for 1 person. Their was a tiny issue but as I raised it it was dealt with immediately. WiFi is very good I never had any problems with it. I'm hoping to come back next year as I was felt very welcoming. As I'm a vegetarian dot was amazing and was more than happy to meet my needs when it came to my diet

BED BUGS. Severe bed bug infestation in the rooms and black mould! To be sat there and find them running through my hair and in my clothes was shocking. Awful. Staff on site were lovely to deal with but head office absolutely refused to accept that I wanted to cancel my stay immediately and expected a full refund. They withheld the money. Seedy business morals and very poor hygiene standards. It’s a shame it see a place that I booked based on positive reviews in the past has clearly absolutely lost its standards.

Luke and John are very nice people. Myself and my family were supposed to be staying with another host at a b&b but she came down with covid and she helped arrange another accommodation for us (about 3 days before our stay). This is where Luke stepped in and we were greatful which took the stress off us trying to find different accommodation at short notice. The communication from Luke was very good. The hotel was having work done in Italy dining room during our stay, which meant they couldn't serve breakfast in that room. Luke came and picked us up every morning (2 night stay) and took us to another b&b he owned for breakfast, which was kind of him to do so. Friends is in a very convenient location (around 5/7 minute walk to the sea front) also offers parking for a small charge. We was in room 5 (family) one double bed and two singles and we was happy with the room. It was clean on arrival and it had everything we needed for our stay. I've seen other reviews on here and I won't judge, but our stay was pleasant and like I said Luke and John was super hosts and it feels like they would go out of there way to make your stay even better. Thank you to you both. We wish you all the best.

Came for a night to see the illuminations, great location for illuminations, right by a tram stop, so ideal to go into Blackpool centre. Sure if the weather was nicer it would have been idea location to get to the beach as well! Family room was really big and had everything you could need. Breakfast was really nice. Hosts were lovely and very friendly. Offered some advice on the illuminations and where to eat etc.

A great place. The hosts are genuinely friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The room is very quiet and it's also well located, around a mile north of the tower. We were able to park on the street directly in front of the hotel, but limited off-road parking is also available. The breakfast is absolutely delicious and set us all up for the day.

I could think of many words to describe this B&B. Only need one, fantastic. Mark and Rebecca, the owners, are two of the nicest and kindest people I have met, always have time for a chat and nothing is a bother. Rooms are immaculate and they do a great breakfast. Highly recommend and can't wait get back in August.

Stayed in the family room with my friend and 2 teenage girls. Lovely rooms which have everything you need in them and excellent breakfast. The guesthouse isnt central to shops but only a tram ride or walking distance which makes this experience even better as peaceful nights sleep and no rowdy drunks but what truly makes this hotel are the owners Rebecca and Mark who are 2 genuinely lovely people who offer an excellent experience in their guesthouse. Would highly recommend

This charming hotel offers everything you need for a delightful stay, including a complimentary continental breakfast to kickstart your day. Just a short stroll away, you'll find local dining gems like LiLo Charcoal and Sandwich Stop. With entertainment options nearby, such as the beautifully restored North Pier just 1.
Just come back from Del Savannah B&B. My family paid £100 for a 1 night stay for 2 adults and 3 children, that’s only £20 per person per night. The accommodation was basic but very very clean. We where met by the manager Geoff when we arrived who explained that the bar area and breakfast area was closed because of COVID 19. Instead of not offering the breakfast service that had decided to do a breakfast in bed option FOC, a great service that you don’t get in most 5* hotels. The B&B is minuets away from the sea front. I have stayed in many B&B’s in Blackpool and this is the best and most friendly one. The beds where fine, the showers worked all the time we where there. NEVER had that before LOL. Just want to say thank you for a first class service. Many thanks The Kelly Family.

It is run down , dirty, uncomfortable and everything falling apart. We had dirty bed sheets, dirty towels, noone did room cleaning for few days, service very unprofessional and snappy , rude( lady who is "at front").Surprised it's still going, only location been great for us, breakfast was OK, other than that-avoid. Power energy cut when I was taking 🚿shower. We definitely would not be back. (We add one more day to stay at festival and it was absolutely robbery, overpriced , but driver need rest).

AVOID!!! booked two rooms for the night a double and a single for my son.. his room was no where near ours despite stating it was for our child, so partner had to swap with our son. The bunk bed he had was unstable and shook with every movement, both beds very uncomfortable. The hotel smelt revolting, facilities were appalling for example tvs didn't work, not even something as simple as hand wash was avaliable. It was absolutely filthy; stains all over the carpets, spit on the wall next to the bed won't even bother going into detail over the bathroom. Didn't bother staying for the included breakfast not with the level of hygiene we endured. Never been so shocked and disappointed in all my life. "Friend of owner looking after the place so little help"
Laura A — Google review
Where to start... Negatives first then the positives. Here goes... For a place to rest your head on a budget it does the job. Couple of things: it smelled as though someone had been sick in the hallway which was unpleasant. The bathroom door you can't open properly as it bangs against the toilet behind it. It is also stiff to close due to hanging off its hinges. The shower room barely looks clean with cobwebs and tiles missing and what not. The window was jammed open so couldn't close it to keep any warmth in. To boil the kettle you have to transfer it across the room and balance it next to the lamp as there is no nearby socket. The sink cupboard doors literally fell off as I opened it and almost fell on my 10month old baby's foot. That needs fixed. Floor and doors (touch points) felt sticky. The door lock is barely attached. Anyone could barge the door open should they want to. That was my room. (and the hot water in the shower takes about 10mins to warm up due to the age of the building). Downstairs, there are no rooms so, if like me, you have a micro human you must leave the pram downstairs so I had to leave him while I carried everything upstairs to come back for him. Breakfast wasn't tooo bad. The black pudding was hard and the hash browns were too however the rest of it was delicious and just the right portion size. All that having been said, a lot of it is fixable and just needs some attention. The staff were absolutely lovely, the location is (albeit slightly rundown, that's not their fault) is very handy being 5min walk from the beach etc and most importantly... The bed and pillows were so comfortable I could've taken them home with me!! I really liked the decor, especially the sparkly walls! I had a great night's sleep and I really enjoyed my time there. It's less than £40 a night, it's not going to be a 5* hotel! It needs some investment to bring it up to scratch. Overall, not too bad-ish... Does the job. Just.
Louise C — Google review
Geoff and staff are lovely, and helped alot. However the hotel its self is very out dated. There was 3 of us in a room. But the room was for 5. It was a squeeze for 3 of us, no were to hang clothes, there was 3 draws to fold clothes in. We stayed 3 nights, bathroom was disgusting. Broken tap, toilet sink and shower all stained, the shower rail was broken. Only 2 towels, (asked for more). Was told u wash cups in the bathroom, wouldn't give us any clean cups, room was not cleaned during our stay. Mattress was rock hard, one mattress didnt even fit the bottom bunk. 2 lamps, no bulbs, asked for bulb but only 1 plug socket. An extension lead was used for tv and kettle. Tiny tv, could only see from 1 bed. Carpets filthy. Heating on 24/7 and the weather was 26degrees. Windows wouldn't open. Windows filthy. The staff were very nice, due to covid we had breakfast sandwiches brought to our room, however the staff were pushy to come in for a chat every morning. (Didnt appreciate coming in when not dressed) Plenty of tea coffee sugar and Toilet roll. Also gave us free parking around the back of hotel. Offered to help with bags. Geoff and staff did make us feel welcome. We did speak to him about all faults but he said the owners will not do anything. It isnt Geoffs fault. But all the above is our honesty.
Lisa W — Google review
It was okay... The rooms were a bit old and the toilets were okay, wouldn't say spotless... Also missing were toiletries + toilet paper. Still for the price it was probably okay, breakfast was decent. With a little more effort it can b a lot better.
Rahul S — Google review
My room was good, however the heating unit stopped on the second day of my 6-day-stay and I tried to text them multipletimes, called them once and tried to find them at the "reception" with no response. So the main problem was the lack of communication, however, as I said, the room was ok.
Tomislav D — Google review
The room absolutely stunk, the bedding was damp, there was no door on the toilet and the bed was rickety, booked through booking.com, hotel never replied to complaint so offered a measly £6.75 refund for a £45 room!! Avoid at all costs

We stayed at The Montclair Hotel for our 38th wedding anniversary, and we are so glad we did. Chris and Sue were fantastic hosts who just couldn't do enough for us. The room was small but very comfortable. The bed was especially comfortable. We both slept like babies. Breakfast was absolutely to die for served in a buffet style where you could pick what you wanted, Chris and Sue were especially tentative and very accommodating. Already booked for next year. I would like to say a big thank you to Chris and Sue for looking after us so well.
STEVEN A — Google review
Chris and Sue are brilliant hosts and do everything they can possibly do to ensure that their guests are well looked after. Starting the day with a breakfast that is generous to a fault. It is a full English breakfast only bigger. Rooms are on the smaller size, but average for Blackpool, so no complaint on that. More importantly is how clean, warm, and tidy the room was.... 100% on that score. Water was hot anytime I needed a shower, probably 24/7. Location for me was excellent as I was spending my time in the Winter Garden. Proof of my approval is that I've booked in for my next trip to Blackpool.

We've visited here several times over the last 4-5 years when the owners were originally Ann and Tony and there were excellent, extremely clean, polite and great hosts, however new ownership has emerged since March of DAWN and DAVE who are just the same, lovely people, easy to talk to, have plenty of time and patience for guests and simply great hosts. This is probably is one of, if not the best hotels to stay in, in Blackpool from a price point of view, great value for money considering cleanliness, location and the owners attitude towards their guests. I would 100% recommended this hotel to anyone thinking of staying as you definitely wouldn't regret it.

Lovely place with hidden extras. When we booked we thought breakfast was included sadly not. It was an additional payment but by heck was it worth it? Yes yes yes lovely freshly cooked. With unlimited tea/coffee and toast. Tea and coffee in your room, you've used it up not a problem. We Big Billy and myself couldn't ask for anything else.

Couldn't thank Tony & Ann enough for being so attentive. Very accommodating allowing us to arrive outside of the regular check in time and even still after a cancelled train made this even later. Andy was extremely helpful, he even carried our suitcase to the third floor bless him. Rooms were beautifully made up and the bedding was all lovely to sleep on/in (which is always my biggest issue with hotels). Would 100% stay again and recommend.

Great little hotel, pretty much opposite the sea and close to North Shore/Pier. The room we stayed in had a sea view which was great. There's a regular tram as well as buses which is handy. The room had everything needed as well as its own little seating area with large screen TV. The owner was very friendly and let us check in early. The bed was super comfy so no complaints there at all.

Stayed here 5th till 8th May. New owner Andy had just recently taken over the month before. Had a wonderful stay, hotel spotless and very quiet. Beds so comfortable. Andy very nicely researched how much the tram would be for us during our stay off his own back which was a lovely touch as we didn't ask him to. Would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for somewhere quiet to stay. It is past the north pier so away from the busy parts of Blackpool. Tram and bus stops a few minutes walk away so easily enough to travel to centre of Blackpool.

Real nice place to stay, Andy is a real nice guy, friendly and on the ball with service and cleanliness. A few mts away from the tram stop, located away from the noise of the centre, quiet beach just up the road. Great breakfast. Will be staying here again!

My sister and I shared a room which was very spacious we had a double bed each the duvet and bedding were so warm lovely and fresh. The pillows were so comfortable as was the mattress. We slept like logs as there were blackout curtains too. The breakfast was amazing and I was very happy being a vegetarian to be offered vegetarian sausages. The choice of cereals and yoghurt was amazing too. The hotel is very central to most things there is a great social club next door called the h & a club. The town centre is only 10 mins away to coral island and all the other arcades plus the tower and beach front.. I would 💯% recommend the Shirley heights and in fact we have decided we don't want to stay anywhere else in the future having stayed in various establishments in Blackpool over the years this has far been the best. We shall be booking again soon for my birthday in may . Thanks again Derek and Amanda you made us feel very welcome it was like we had known you for years .

The room was immaculate with everything that we could possibly need. The breakfast was plentiful and very tasty infact it was the best breakfast we have ever had. We can highly recommend this little gem to anyone who is looking for somewhere beautiful to stay. Thanks again Derek and Amanda we are definitely going to book another stay with you in 2024 when we have a date. Love From John and Mary xxx

This welcoming B&B boasts a cozy bar, complimentary Wi-Fi, and a delicious breakfast that caters to various tastes with both cooked options and cereals available.
We arrived and were greeted by two lovely ladies. Due to some mobility issues we were shown to our room on the first floor which was a family room. The room was of a good size and had a wash hand basin and a shower room. The toilet was on the half landing on the way up from the ground floor. The breakfast was lovely and the fried bread was to die for. Nothing was too much trouble and if we needed anything we only had to ask. We arrived strangers and left as friends. Thank you Lynda and Petra for a lovely stay.

Upon arrival I was made aware of the dogs in the adjacent room who turned out to be quite yappy throughout the day and night but worse was to come. The separate shower was not working as it only ran cold. The WiFi was not working and the breakfast although quite nice was not available until 9 so I could not have any on 2 of the 4 mornings. I attempted to feedback the issues to the owners but they said everything was fine and basically I was a liar! It was previous recommendations that persuaded me to make this booking so just be aware it is far from perfect.

Stayed with my family for 1 night over Easter weekend, Lovely warm family room with a double bed, bunk beds, shower room, tea and coffee making facilities and fresh towels. The two ladies who own this establishment are friendly inviting and attentive. Breakfast was hot & tasty too, the whole b&b is lovely warm cosy and very clean. Location is about a 15 min walk from the tower but its a lovely walk on the seafront. Thankyou for a pleasant stay Lynda & Petra, next time we visit Blackpool we will be sure to stay with you again. ❤️

Perfect hosts. We had the pleasure of staying here a couple of nights last week. Very clean, comfortable bed, delicious breakfast. Lynda and Petra were the perfect hosts. We will definitely stay here again and would highly recommend staying here. Thank you for an enjoyable stay. Xx

The hosts were very friendly and welcoming, and the place was spotlessly clean. The bed rooms were nice, clean and tidy. Our room was part ensuite with a shower room and sink, the shower water pressure wasn't great but still able to get washed. The toilets were shared but very clean and there was one on each floor. Breakfast was really good and there was a choice available of cooked options. As well as a selection of cereal. The lady's were really friendly and helpful during breakfast and seemed genuinely interested in us as guests and what we had been doing, as well as telling us about some of the local bars and clubs. There was free street parking. The Gynway is very good value for money.

It such an amazing 2 days to stay and celebrate with the wedding anniversary of our family here in birch villa. The owner Paul and karen was so welcoming and they really look after us during our stay. Breakfast was freshly cooked and prepared by both of them. The little bar inside was decorated beautifully with all the memorabilia they collected i think. We laugh and always had a story to tell every morning with them. Thank you so much and will gonna miss you both. Looking forward to stay in your beautiful and cozy bed and breakfast.

Beautiful little place to stay if your visiting Blackpool. Karen and Paul were the best hosts, very welcoming and helpful with parking as its very tricky round there. They sat and chatted with us and made us feel at home. 😍 They have a bar which was much needed after the drive. The beds were really comfy and slept well.😴 location is good for the beach ⛱️ and probably every else but our family was the other side of Blackpool so not so good. Breakfast was excellent 👌 we chose the day before so we knew what we were going to have and it wasn't at a stupid hour of the morning 😀. 9.00am. Unfortunately work commitments send us home early 😪. Would like to say a big thank you to Karen And Paul we enjoyed our stay even though it was short lived.

Amazing find! We booked our stay quite late on and was very lucky to find this place! I received a message saying our room was ready and we could check in early which I've never had before so this was amazing as I had a child with me. We arrived and Karen greeted us at the door, very pleasant and made us feel at ease. We checked in and got our keys, Karen was very helpful as we had booked the zoo and had no idea where the bus stop was! Paul came and introduced himself again very pleasant! Breakfast was LUSH! Very rare I find places that do nice sausages and the bacon was amazing! Room was nice and clean! Nice warm shower! Would definitely return here it's nice to walk into someone's home/business and feel like you've met them before!

The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to dining options such as New Treasure City, serving delectable Asian and Chinese cuisine. Situated away from the city's hustle and bustle, this charming hotel provides a peaceful atmosphere with easy parking options.
– The location ...as it's far from the hustle and bustle it's a nice quiet street and parking is not a problem. Free to park on the road. The owners are lovely...very welcoming and accommodating. We spent last night in the bar. The drinks which there is a large selection of is very reasonable priced. The landlady brought us free nibbles over while we were playing board games with our 9 year old. She even offered to make our daughter some toast. The room which was on the top floor was big enough for the 3 of us. Will definitely be staying again. Keep up the good work 😁

DO NOT book this hotel unfortunately I did then had to cancel due to the sudden death of my father, they took full price of the room from my bank account and when I requested a refund they refused using the pandemic as an excuse, which yes it has left a lot of businesses in debt but I’m sure they have now booked this room out to someone else, I then offered to still take the booking as maybe a night away would help with my grief and was told to book a country hotel so I can reflect! Absolutely disgusting response obviously these people have no compassion just only greed

While the room was big and spacious ..it was lacking in cleaning. The window leadges were dusty .marks on the walls bathroom was not as clean as expected .marks on tables .and the floors were dirty . It was warm in the room. But slamming of doors on the first night was noisy . But quiet on the rest of the days . Location was good
Garry W — Google review
We had an OK stay at the B&B. The room that we were given was a family room when we had booked a deluxe double. The family room was a little tired. This meant that the space in the room was a little more cramped than what we were expecting. The decor in this room was also a little tired - the reason for the lower score here is the small things that need sorting (bathroom has seen better days - rusty light fitting, shower curtain rail also rusty. No bathmat provided in the bathroom. The positives - friendly hosts, good location and reasonable price for the weekend.

The hotel is very nice lovely breakfast staff are very kind and helpful the tea and coffee in the room was very nice definitely recommend this b&b to anyone the dog called princess was an absolute lovely dog but the other dog named teddy didn’t like me It also dog friendly for pet owners

Think twice about staying here! From the moment we turned up the entrance was dirty, desperately needed a hoover , mopping and a wipe round. Although tried to not let this put us off as this was a communal area and probably had a lot of traffic. Was also over charged and had to haggle for the difference. Proceeded to the room , first impression was very tired but passable the bedding looked clean although crinkled and not ironed. After sleeping in the bed, bites appeared on my body getting worse with each sleep. Went to walk in centre and was told bed bugs. Addressed with manager and was asked not to say anything. Worst nightmare ever.

Would not stay here again. Firstly I was given an unclean room and had ro change. Then noted there was a blood handprint on the outside door when I arrived and also blood on the handle on the inner doors too. I mentioned this to the reception and it had still not been cleaned when I checked out the next day. Totally unacceptable and disgusting and should have been cleaned immediately. They even tried to fob me off saying it could be red wine!!! Clearly blood and not wine. Bed was so hard and uncomfortable too. Not a pleasant stay

All served piping hot and very presentable. Could not fault it. Have popped back in for the lunch time special (over 60s) 2 coarses for £4.95 what's not to like, the sausage and mash was really really good with ice cream to follow. This traditional establishment boasts a cozy ambiance, making it an ideal destination for those looking to unwind with friends or family. With an impressive selection of local ales and affordable drinks, guests can enjoy a refreshing pint while soaking up the lively atmosphere created by regular live music events and karaoke nights.
Just went to the dog and partridge with my friends and family for several beverages and I must say it's so friendly with excellent staff with the manager lou being an angel delight, friendly and welcoming and even put my football match on for me. Classy establishment with fantastic locals and its the best pub I've been to since London...visit if you can as clean and so so so reasonable less than £3 pint. Love it and going back for sure. Ryan Ps andy Ronston your review is a joke... yes there was music and yes maybe I didn't like all the songs but overall everyone was entertained and if you didn't like the music the area is full of other establishments including cafes..... very odd comments but hey ho I loved it there going back tomorrow
Ryan — Google review
This visit was in Sept 2024, mid week. The pub lies around 200 metres off the sea front and easy to find. The entrance is not at street level, as long as you can manage a step or two, you're fine. The bar is well stocked but is a local pub and not a tourist pub. The staff are efficient and next to no waiting time. I have no issues with beers and enjoyed a pint or two. They have offers on and when I called, you could get a pint (Carlsberg or John Smith) for a little over £2 !! The décor is, olde world, coronation/WW2 style and fixtures and fittings showing more than average wear and tear. Toilets are a little behind the times and need a full refurbish as these also resemble the London underground wall tiles from 1940. They do provide some kind of entertainment and on the afternoon I visited it was - sorry to be blunt - diabolical. At first we thought it was Karaoke which turned out to be a singer. It was so loud the walls shook in this small pub. There was no escape and there were a few complaints, as such, people left. There are multiple large TV's (not HD quality), a pool table (unable to play due to locals hogging it), a dart board and really resembled a workman's club from 1980. Not everyone's cup of tea but for the drinks price, worth a visit.
Mr B — Google review
Excellent for people with sports interests. 7 tvs and I think different sport on each. This is daytime not night however. But shock of shocks when I paid for my carlsburg. At £2.50 a pint. 😳. Wow I did a double take " HOW MUCH "????. Dog friendly. Glad I found this place . I will be here again. Next time I visit Blackpool.
Adrian P — Google review
WOW, went in Wednesday about 5pm the so called singer was extremely loud, he was strutting his stuff thinking he's won Britain's got talent, he could not win Lytham Rd got talent, could not talk to the wife and had to shout to the bar staff just to get heard, clearly the landlady has zero leadership over this person, I have heard quite a few people have moaned about the loudness of the music, I come to engoy listen to music and talk to the missus, not to be blasted out of the pub, at least the staff are great, what will the reply be, we have taken your comments on board, yeah right, and OH HE'S GOING TO BE ON 3 DAYS A WEEK, WE WON'T BE THERE

Four of us went here for the Sunday roast on Easter Sunday. It was absolutely delicious. We all felt the meat was perfectly cooked (2 of us had beef, one had pork and I had chicken). The vegetables and roasties were perfect too. The portions were large so we had to take some home with us. Although the prices are not cheap here, we all felt the meal was great value as it was not your average Sunday dinner. Service was also excellent.

Stayed at the Briardene Hotel for 2 nights (Sept 19th to 21st). Had a fantastic stay. Staff were exceptionally friendly. Room was very clean and tidy. Didn’t sample the food menu but this was personal choice. Great location. 10 minute walk into Cleveleys. Bus & tram stop outside the hotel. I fully recommend a stay at this establishment, considering the price & location you’ll not be disappointed.

One of the best hotel breakfasts I've ever had, all the ingredients are really good quality. The rooms are great, comfy bed. The hotel is right by the bus and tram stops so it's really easy to get into Blackpool. We'll definitely stay here next time we're visiting Blackpool.

I rarely write reviews however with Briardene Hotel, I have too. From the moment you enter to the moment you leave the hotel and staff are far above what I would generally expect. Every staff member was friendly, polite, full of local knowledge if you needed it. And they take time out to make your visit special. The food was amazing, perhaps my general food is tasteless as as soon as I had the breakfast I was shocked at how good a breakfast can be. The hotel, every time I sat down and just looked around, I realised how someone had taken real time and effort to make everything work. It is far beyond a normal hotel. On a negative note. Briardene owners are asking for trouble though, a beautifully run hotel at a price that idiots like me can afford. Not clever.
J B — Google review
This review is specifically in relation to customer service. We made an advance booking for six people in the restaurant (Good Friday). We were contacted today at 2.30pm requesting us to change the booking for Saturday. This was not possible. When I asked why, we were informed that there were very few people booked to eat tonight and that the chef therefore had asked us to move to the Saturday. The customer service advisor went to speak to the chef, and the response was that they would accommodate our original booking but on a reduced menu. We declined this option and tried to book elsewhere, with no luck, unfortunately. If only the hotel had informed us a few days in advance, we may still have been able to make alternative arrangements. It was a very disappointing experience, and I'm afraid it turned out not to be a very 'Good Friday'.
Julie M — Google review
We went for Sunday lunch there as we'd heard such good things. The service was excellent. The portions were huge. We had the onion soup and the smoked salmon starter. Both were very nice. There was warm bread before that too. They were clearly home made and very fresh. The lamb was a leg! It needed a table of its own! There were plenty of vegetables and roast potatoes. I'd say the Yorkshire puddings were a little over done. But on the whole, we both enjoyed it. There was far too much and we took a lot of it home with us. The two person's lunch would have been more than enough for four adults!

We have recently been to the Briardene Hotel restaurant for 2 special dinners comprising of parties of 20 people. On both occasions the food, service and settings were all excellent, and made the celebrations very enjoyable and special. Thank you to everyone and l would thoroughly recommend the establishment.

Fabulous accommodation WoW, great location. Quite on the South side of Blackpool. 5 star welcome from Claire on our arrival. Checking in no issues, helped with our luggage to our room. Given a room guide/ tour. Room was fantastic with a balcony looking out onto Solaris Gardens, Mirror ball and views of the promenade. comfortable bed, spa bath, shower, dressing gown and slippers, toiletries, towels and a box full of extras you might need during your stay. Claire, Mark and team the really helpful and friendly made our stay very enjoyable. Great choice of breakfast given a breakfast list the day before for the next morning. Breakfast In the morning made by Mark with was cooked to perfection 5/5. Plenty of free parking, great transport links tram station short 5 minute walk away stopping at all of Blackpool’s world famous attractions. Bus stops located close by. Not far walk from the Pleasure Beach/ South Pier. Would highly recommend.

Without a single doubt, the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The owners are amazing, (Graham looks like David Jason - Bonus!) The rooms are completely immaculate , beds are super comfortable snd Breakfast sets you up for the whole day. Will never use another hotel in Blackpool. We ended up booking another night. I cannot believe anyone could complain about a single thing. Thank you for the best home away from home, Janet, Clare, Graham and Mark. See you again at the end of this month. Xxx

A wonderful hotel with all the amenities of a large hotel but with the warmth and comfort of a small hotel. The breakfast is wonderful with a really good choice of dishes and the rooms are state of the art and extremely comfortable. I would not hesitate to recommend the hotel.

After staying at the metropole hotel last time we visited Blackpool, we were nervous to book an independent hotel. But NumberOne has completely changed our minds. On arriving the staff were very friendly and attentive, explained everything in the room and were just generally great to chat to! The rooms were great! Very clean, tidy and had more than enough amenities, jacuzzi bath, great shower, the beds are VERY comfy. Breakfast in the mornings has been delicious too, a good selection to choose from, all fresh and tasty. Honestly cant think of a bad thing to say about this place. I highly recommend it and it’s been a lovely bank holiday weekend here! Parking is first come first serve with limited availability directly outside the hotel but theres plenty of on street parking just outside. All in all a great place to stay and we would highly recommend!

Very clean rooms not far from the central pier lady who runs the bar is lovely very welcoming would definately book again in future . Car park right next to the hotel expensive to park but better than trying to get the car round with the fireworks on traffic was at a standstill . Well worth the visit thank you

Great location to central pier, tram and shops. Extremely clean and well presented place & modern. Dianne was so lovely and helpful. Shame we stayed during low season as I'm sure this would have been a great spot when busier. Only down fall was one pillow each on beds (own preference is two), surely if we’d of asked she would have been more then happy to accommodate another for us. Overall stay was brilliant!, great price for stay and bar prices very cheap too. Will definitely be going back in big season! See you soon 🥰

This was a perfect location to explore the area around the Tower. The hotel was very clean and modern. It was lovely to have a room with all 3 children. The owners are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We enjoyed the bar area and the pool table. A great place to stay, we will be back again.

IMMACULATE. As a family of 7 trying to find anywhere half decent and a reasonable price is like gold dust. I want two things. A clean room and a comfy bed. It’s not just the rooms that were impeccably clean. The whole place was. We had a huge family room. With two bathrooms, and a separate adjoining bedroom. The outside courtyard is perfect, the bar area and pool table, although we didn’t use it was welcoming and pristine. I truly think this is a little gem. We would highly recommend and will rebook for our little annual trip to the pleasure beach :)

The rooms where basic but clean and tidy and you can't complain for the price. I would definitely stay again. Thank you to the staff for making us feel welcome

First time staying in this hotel, at first glance, it wasn't he newest and amenities was outed. For value and service I cannot fault it. Helen who was on front desk when we arrived and left was the perfect employee and looked after us for every need in our 2 day stay. Hoping she will be there next time for the banter and great service again!

This is an average hotel. I imagine in it's history it was once very grand, but it has possibly suffered from a loss of trade, it's a massive place, the car park wasn't that full. The reception and restaurant are very nice, the corridors and rooms are very dated. We had a room for a family of 5 which consisted of a queen bed, a sofa bed and a fold out bunk bed. The room wasn't overly clean, and you could see it's age from where things had been on the walls, some light switches didn't work work, the wooden furniture looked well used. The queen bed mattress was the noisiest thing I've ever slept on. It desperately needing renewing. Place needs investment in it's furnishings. Staff were very nice, and price wasn't bad for what it was. Breakfast was really good. It was good quality and loads to choose from. Parking is a bit misleading, you can do the parking at reception, I discovered this after I'd paid for it on the RingGo app. I get

Lovely hotel in the communal areas. The room whilst clean was a little dated. But for £43 we got a bargain. We had breakfast which was excellent at £10 a head. Bar area is lovely. £7 to park at the hotel. Nicer rooms available at extra cost. Lovely eatery called The Gynn just around the corner. Well worth a visit. (Recommended by Adam on reception). Who was excellent at helping us with local knowledge when we arrived.

Great view from room 562, room was clean and enormous bed. Pillows are a bit hard for my taste. Tea and coffee provided but not enough for the weekend and no housekeeping for a two night stay. However room is a bit dated and the bedside lamps and standard lamp don't work at all. Toiletries are provided but not necessarily the ones you would want. 4 shampoo but only 1 shower gel. Breakfast was good standard and service in restaurant was efficient.

We have fabulous memories of this hotel when it was owned by Hilton but sadly after a 2 night stay last year and 2 nights this week we will not be returning. We complained last year as the service and food was the worst we’d ever experienced. Informed by the GM he was in-post to transform and develop the hotel into the Elite category plus he offered us a preferential rate to return we decided to try again and stayed this week (Sept 25) There are 2 main issues: Cleanliness and Catering. Although it’s not an attractive building from outside, inside could be very special but first impression was very poor with huge rip in a leather sofa and the entrance doors were so dirty. The executive rooms were clean, except for windows, but the corridor carpets in the hallway and by the lifts were very dirty. A small white plastic bag was on the floor just outside our rooms on arrival and was still there when we checked out 3 days later. The restaurant carpet was not hoovered during our stay as same crumbs were noticeable day 1 to day 3. The full English breakfast has improved since last year but still some way to go before considering it an elite experience but we enjoyed the bacon. Grapefruit looked as though it had been out for a week!! The dinner buffet was that poor, although included in our rate, we ate out at additional cost on our 2nd night. We had the choice of the following on the 1st night: Chicken Breast (well cooked) Breaded Cod was awful. Cod should be white not grey. Wish I’d taken a photo - the cheapest, cheapest of fish. Not sure how the chef could serve it! Chips were ok but should that be the only potato option! Grey cauliflower and yellow French beans! Dessert consisted of 5 gateau’s- all frozen and thankfully there was a good crumble with custard. No staff to order drinks while you were eating. You have to go to the bar which is great when you’re with an elderly relative of 85!! and they don’t accept payment to the room. All in all an awful dinner experience and 100% sure it’s no where close to Elite category. In urgent need of a manager who understands what’s needed and what’s important to customers. Otherwise this hotel in the perfect location is destined to close as will loose all loyal customers - very sad.

The Grand Hotel used to be the Hilton hotel until it was taken over a couple of years ago. The hotel doesn't sound chairs and beds certains room decorations and so on., well I don't dislike the hotel that I am currently staying in I don't think it's particularly grand and I don't think it's particularly modern. I found the hotel to be clean, comfortable and fit for purpose. That said, the rooms need investment..my room was cold I usually bring my own heaters but really shouldn't have to. Nice view of the sea. £7 parking I didn't like although I'm a blue badge holder so it's free. I'm a motorcycle I take up very little space. Reception staff friendly, rates are good. Staff on the bar were rude she was so rude, served me flat coke didn't smile nothing. Not your classic northerner. The hotel has bar facilities I didn't use them but I did take a look and they looked pretty good. This is Britannia Hotel they haven't done a bad job.. If you can't deal with memory foam mattresses please don't stay here and remember parking is chargeable for the non-disabled. I had a bath in my room and it was really nice it was deep clean the shower work the water was really hot. It wasn't modern and it wasn't ground but it was more than functional especially for the price Finally there is little noises insulation and if you've got someone that likes to watch TV or a night well you're gonna hear that unfortunately.

When we arrived the lady on reception wasn't friendly at all, we did get our room on time but it was dreadful, we was on the 3rd floor, bath looked filthy and really old and the tv didn't work at all, we had a Terrible time with rude guests arguing between themselves and causing a disturbance in the corridor... we spoke to the deputy manager and he was lovely, very accommodating, switched our hotel room straight away and the new room was alot better. Our stay was than very pleasant, food was average, not alot of choice for a vegetarian. Would I stay there again, sadly probably not due to no house keeping during our stay.
Lisa L — Google review
Stayed here a few times but was disappointed to find that standards have slipped dramatically on this visit. Room with the sea view would have been nice if you could see out the filthy windows. Beds dated and uncomfortable. Towels in room filthy. The late night entertainment was 2 couples arguing and fighting in the corridor until 5am. Staff did ask them to keep quiet after a phone call to reception but it continued anyway. Breakfast was interesting after you had cleared a table yourself and hunted down some clean cutlery. The buffet breakfast was sparse and when you asked staff if there was anymore food about to be served they were just extremely rude. When I mentioned this to reception staff in the morning I was greeted with a shrug of the shoulders and not interested. This used to be a clean comfortable family friendly hotel but I would avoid in future.

The room we were in was very basic but clean and im sure they have larger rooms available. The food was really nice. Breakfast or main meal we couldn't fault. The distance to the tower was only 2 or 3 stops away on the tram. So overall I did enjoy my stay and would stay here again.

We was unsure to book due to the misex reviews butni can honestly say I was worrying about nothing. We had the family room and it was spotless and a very good size as we had 2 small children with us. Beds were very comfy and all of us had a great night sleep. Staff members were very welcoming I'd say only down fall is the distance to the promenade if you don't drive but there is a tram that's very reliable and comes often. Thanks.

Arrived early and spoke to reception staff to see if we could leave our bags...no problems. Arrived back at hotel around 2.30pm room not ready..ok book in is at 3.00pm. The lady from reception gave us our key around 2.50pm room 129 on the first floor. We had bags so thought we'd use the lift, the lift door opened with 2 people in it and they said it hadn't moved so we thought ok we'll use the stairs (don't want to get stuck in the lift) we got to our room and it was terrible the wallpaper was falling off the walls and ceiling horrible fishy smell. The mattress was broken with springs coming through. Went down to reception they gave us another room 228. Up another level with our bags and disbelief is the only thing that sprung to my mind. The walls were wet through and the damp, mould, fungus was shocking. Dirty, dank, gross, stains everywhere plug sockets hanging off. We took pictures and went down to reception yet again. We shown reception staff the pictures and they were horrified. Another room given 229. Back up the stairs and this room although cleaner looking smells like public toilet. The windows don't open properly and unbearably hot. We didn't want to ruin our night so left our luggage in the room and went out to get some fresh air, we returned for our evening meal at 6pm. We queued and informed the staff we weren't sure which room number to give to prove we were entitled to our paid for evening meal. We sat down at the dirty table and went to the help yourself buffet style meal. Plates were dirty so decided against eating here. We slept on top of our duvets after reading some of the reviews but i wish i would of read them before booking because who wants to spend a night away doing that? I also read the responses to these reviews and they are so childish, rude, dismissive. This place is a danger, health hazzard and to be avoided not even a last resort

very good value hotel, staff went out the way to be helpful. Stayed last night in room 149, a small double but very big TV, fan, iron and ironing board with a bath with shower over that had amazing pressure and good supply of hot water. Room had Tea and Coffee and blackout curtains. stayed as a evening meal package, food was basic but home cooked and again with breakfast however at £46ppn for dinner, bed and breakfast was amazing value and you get a lot for your money. The only issue was says evening meal served between 6-8 however due to hotel being quiet evening meal was served at 6, totally understand but a phonecall, email or text before arrival would have been nice as had planned to eat later as of plans so had to change things about.

Ill start the positives first 1. The price comes with parking at no extra charge. 2. Somewhere to shower and sleep 3. Nice and quiet 4. Tram stop opposite hotel Negatives 1. Beds and pillows are hard as nails.. luckily I brought my own pillows.. 2. The Albany bar needs a really good clean in the window sills etc This could be a really lovely hotel if Brittania put some money into the comfort etc..
Lisa P — Google review
A member of staff was rude, asked her to put more coffee in the machine as it was out of order, she put more coffee in the machine, then took my cup and made herself a coffee and walked off and didn't even say a word to me. The food was poor and I have cooked better meals myself. I didn't want to ask them for anything as the staff seemed like they didnt want to know. The pillows and the bed was hard, the springs was sticking in my back. Other than that the location was nice but my window was blurred and I couldn't see out of it, and when my window was open I could smell the drains. It would of been nice to of left a good review but unfortunately didn't have much good to say about it.
Jodie G — Google review
The Savoy Hotel is an absolute disgrace and I wouldn’t even give it 1 star. The room was filthy beyond belief dirty carpets, stained bedding, and actual dead bugs in the room. Clearly, it hadn’t been cleaned properly in who knows how long. The so-called “pillows” felt like they were filled with rocks from the beach. Disgusting from top to bottom. And this place dares to advertise itself as Adults Only? What a joke. Between 00:00 and 1am, while we were desperately trying to sleep, kids were running up and down the corridors screaming and slamming doors. Total chaos.By 1am, me and my partner had no choice but to get out. We were already starting to feel unwell just being in that cesspit of a room, so we checked out in the middle of the night and had to pay for another hotel just to get a few hours of proper rest. That’s money I never should have had to spend, and now I’m waiting on a refund because I refuse to pay for that nightmare. This place is a health hazard, a scam, and a complete embarrassment. Shut it down, bulldoze it, whatever just stop charging people to suffer through this. If you value your health, your money, or your sanity, stay as far away from this dump as possible.
Shantell — Google review
Ok. So it is cheap and the beds are adequate and they have big family rooms available. Staff are very pleasant also. It was clean to a cursory glance but overall the place is very old and very tired and needs work (the bathroom trim fell off without provocation and the bathroom door didn't close unless locked from the inside). It's a lovely grand old building that could be restored to its former glory but I just don't see that happening. We stayed as we needed emergency accomodation for one night. For that is was entirely cromulent.

Nestled in Blackpool's quieter South Shore, Hampton by Hilton Blackpool offers contemporary and comfortable family rooms with stunning sea views. The hotel provides a convenient location just a short walk from the Pleasure Beach and within reach of attractions like Madame Tussauds and Blackpool Tower. Guests can enjoy complimentary continental breakfast with freshly baked waffles while taking in the beautiful blue-flag sandy beach just steps away.
This was our 1st stay here, I was a bit nervous after reading some of the reviews. However the staff were amazing, friendly and helpful, the room was super clean, we upgraded to a Seaview when we arrived with no issues. We're lucky to get a free parking spot outside the hotel. Breakfast was really good with lots of choices, I can see how it would be a bit hectic in peak season as the area is a little small but we had no issues at all. We will be visiting this hotel again.

When ever we visit blackpool we always stay here (think this is pur 5th/6th time there). My wife and the kids like staying here. Family rooms are fine (2 adult, 2 kids). Rooms are always clean and get cleaned everyday. Staff are nice. Breakfast selection is good. Lunch/dinner food is nice. I booked last minute so got it for a good price. Got a sea view last time we stayed so had nice view from room.

I had a wonderful two-night holiday at Hampton to mark my birthday, and I have no regrets. The facilities, services, and hospitality were all excellent. The lounge was a relaxing space with soothing music, and the complimentary breakfast was fantastic. The staff responded promptly to guests' needs. The enjoyable environment made me even consider extending my stay for an additional two nights. To enhance the experience, incorporating a warm smile from the staff can make a significant difference. It’s a simple yet powerful way to create a welcoming atmosphere.

Terrible experience – avoid this hotel! Stayed at Hampton by Hilton Blackpool recently and it was honestly one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve had. The manager, Emma, was completely unhelpful and showed no concern at all. Not even a basic “how are your family members doing?” after what happened. We ate the katsu curry on Wednesday 29th, and two of my family members ended up ill shortly after. Really not what you expect from a hotel that’s supposed to meet Hilton standards. We reported it and got nothing but dismissive responses. The lack of care or accountability from the staff was shocking. For the price we paid, the least we expected was some compassion and a proper follow-up. Would definitely not recommend staying here — poor management, poor food, and zero customer care.

Over all I enjoyed my stay and look forward to visiting again. Great location and close to the tram stop. Staff were friendly and helpful. The food on the menu was good and so was the drink on draft. Rooms were clean, tidy and well equipped with everything that you would need. Private car park at the rear of the hotel, just make sure you validate your parking at reception on arrival.

Stayed for a couple of nights. Warm welcome at reception, which was a nice touch after driving over four hours from London. Didn’t try the restaurant as it was packed during half term, which is fair enough, so I just took a pint of Stella to the room. The room was really tired and not cleaned properly. Marks on the walls and skirtings, dust everywhere, and the shower in poor condition with mould on the grouting and silicone. Luckily I had my sliders with me because stepping there barefoot wasn’t an option. Next day the room wasn’t serviced at all. Bed unmade, bins not emptied, floor not vacuumed and no fresh towels, just a few coffee sachets thrown on the shelf. I asked one of the housekeepers in the corridor for towels, but she rolled her eyes, said they’d finished for the day and walked off. Very pale girl with short blonde hair in a white shirt. Her attitude was just rude and unprofessional. I get that Gen Z has a different attitude to work, but that doesn’t mean basic respect goes out the window. If someone doesn’t like dealing with guests, maybe they shouldn’t be working in hospitality. Reception were friendly and sorted the towels quickly, but overall the stay just wasn’t worth the money. I work in sales myself and can’t get my head around how this kind of behaviour passes in a Hilton-branded hotel. It was my first stay at Hampton by Hilton Blackpool and definitely the last. I thought about making a formal complaint, but after that interaction with the housekeeper I honestly couldn’t be bothered, it felt pointless. The state of the room pretty much matched her attitude.
Mark M — Google review
Had 5 nights here. The hotel was cleaned daily, modern with everything we’d need. House keeping was really good, fresh towels daily. The breakfasts were good, we’d like more gluten free options prepared in a safe area. The staff were friendly and helping on reception and the bar. Really good hotel will definitely book again.

Went with low expectations, based on trips to Blackpool many years ago. Delighted to say I was completely wrong about the hotel (perhaps not the town). The place is sparkling clean and looks newly refurbished. Staff were all great and it's hard to think of any kind of constructive criticism. We had 3 rooms, and everyone was very impressed by them and the hotel in general. The area was quiet, parking is a bit of a pain, but that's the same all over there. Well worth the money for us.

Writing this whilst at the Ruskin hotel, our first visits and won't be our last, the place is absolutely spotless from the minute you walk through the door to your room, staff are so professional and polite, nothing is a problem, the only tiny issue we had was having to keep asking for teabags for the room as none in our tea tray ( no big issue) staff at reception more than happy to hand them out. Plenty choice at breakfast, dinners also nice, can eat at your leisure without feeling rushed. The owners should be very proud of their staff for the great standard of service provided. Look forward to a return visit. Well done everyone, keep up the great work.

Had afternoon tea here and it was adequate. Upon entry, I asked if my small friendly dog was welcome and they said yes - so found a quiet tucked away corner. She slept the whole time. After about 3 hours of eating and drinking (manager served me many times) was told dog wasn't allowed. Spent probably better part of £100 before the bar manager made me feel unwelcome. People had been waiting 1hr, 2hrs for food - the service was absolutely rubbish. Manager was on his high horse, no apologies, was dumping plates down - customers were shocked. Asked for a hot chocolate and he couldnt do one so said tea and got a cappuccino. 10 mins later someone else had a hot chocolate??? Owner needs to have a word with the manager, arrogant, rude and unapologetic. Tables around me were complaining like mad but he didnt care, no apology, nothing. Never going back here.

The Viking Hotel in Blackpool is an adult-only seafront hotel located at the bustling South Promenade. It offers bright, beach-themed rooms and is just a short walk from Blackpool Pleasure Beach and South Pier. The hotel features a cafe, restaurant with beautiful sea views, and a cabaret club called 'The Talk of the Coast' that hosts top acts for entertainment.
9 of us stayed here this weekend and the food, entertainment, staff we're great. Jackie the lady in the restaurant was brilliant she was so lovely with us all even though she was so busy. Paul on the bar was very chatty and friendly which goes along way. Ethan the young guy behind the bar and doing table service was great too. Would we stay here again? yes we would. We had a great weekend here at the Viking Hotel. Thank you all 😘 xx

We recently stayed here and had quite a mixed experience. The best part was definitely the location – it’s just a short walk to the Tower and Pleasure Beach, and there’s a tram stop right outside, which made getting around really easy. Free parking on site was also a huge bonus, with plenty of spaces available. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay, special mention to Donna in the restaurant who was absolutely lovely. The bed was comfortable too, which made for a good nights sleep. On the downside, the hotel itself feels very dated and in need of a big update. While the room was reasonably clean, the furniture was covered in marks and stains, which made it feel a bit grubby. The food in the restaurant was very hit and miss – some meals were decent, but others were practically inedible. The meat was dry, the vegetables were overcooked, and the way it arrived so quickly made it feel like microwave meals. Breakfast was okay, though it would have been nice to see a bit more variety. We also tried the entertainment one evening, but it wasn’t really our thing – it seemed more suited to an older audience. Overall, the location and staff made the stay enjoyable, but the tired rooms and inconsistent food let it down. With some investment and improvements, this could be a really good place to stay.

Manky bathroom tiles all around the shower in the ridiculously small bath, looked like it hadn't been scrubbed in years. The toilet flush handle was almost hanging off and wouldn't flush properly. The bed was like sleeping in a banana, way over due for replacement plus the pillows where as hard as brick. The room it's self wasn't that bad, only because we weren't in it that long . Full of chince, perfect if your over 65 not too good if your under 50. This place resembles a nursing home with Death waiting in the top floor room for one of them to pop their clogs. Breakfast was a joke. Unless you send £30 on the evening meal, you have to wait for all the old gifts to eat first.. Not happy, far from it... Avoid like the plague if your under 40-50, go up towards the center or central pier. £130 a night for what?. Hampton hotel or premier inn.

Fabulous time have been visiting the viking for over 10 years and not been disappointed once. Staff are amazing, always willing to advise on places to visit but the in-house entertainment is second to none - can't wait to go back! Thanks guys, you do an amazing job!

It’s adults only. My room was fine but my friends wasn’t at all. Very damp and no room in the bathroom. Toilet was squished between bath and wall. Food is good. There are stairs everywhere, you have to use stairs even if you use lift. Staff are very friendly and location wise it’s great too.

This is the 3rd time we have been here, the staff are fantastic they are all so friendly and helpful. The rooms are a little on the small and dated side but are spotlessly clean only downside is the towels they need to be bath sheets not bath towels. The food is lovely and hot both breakfast and evening meal are lovely lots of different choices and again fast quick service. The entertaimment is really good Buddy so funny and the dancers are fantastic, we have had 2 funny comedians on this weekend and 2 amazing singing acts all of which we would come and see again. This it is good value for money had a brilliant weekend.

In a good location for sea views, close to South Pier and Pleasure Beach. Staff are lovely but unfortunately this is all that is positive here. Hotel very dated, food is not good standard, room was dusty, bathroom window wouldn't open, (manager had to break the clasp to get it to open) toilet seat loose, mattresses extremely soft and offer no support at all. To get to rooms is like a labyrinth too, up and down steps, long corridors. Not particularly cheap here and certainly not good value. We booked for 3 nights but checked out after 1 and went elsewhere.

The Park House Hotel in Blackpool is a seaside escape offering relaxed rooms with views over the Irish Sea. It's located near popular attractions like the North Pier and the Promenade. It's pram-friendly and accessible for disabled guests, ensuring inclusivity for all family members. Guests can enjoy live entertainment, a sunroom, a bistro, and a bar during their stay.
Stayed for work. Room was spotless and well stocked with tea, coffee hot choc and biscuits. Bathroom spotless too. Public areas clean and tidy. Reception were lovely and very helpful. A comfortable hotel in a good location with ample parking on my visit. Will stay again when in Blackpool.

Stayed for one night to meet up with some friends we hadn't seen for a while. Fantastic value for all inclusive. Room was good size, clean and comfy beds. Bathroom modern with walk in shower as we had requested due to mobility issues. Water pressure not too great on the 3rd floor so the shower wasn't very powerful. Good menu choices and chef willing to adapt dishes to dairy free/vegan. The staff are all very polite and helpful. There was a wedding party on at the time we were there but there wasn't any noise disturbance. Limited amount of parking spaces at the front of the hotel so would advise getting there early. You can also park at the rear of the hotel but must leave keys with reception in case they need to move your vehicle to allow someone else to get out. Good entertainment on and a game of bingo is included with the all inclusive package as are bus/tram passes. All in all had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and would definitely stay here again. Word of advice: if you have mobility issues make sure the booking staff are aware of it as there are steps to some of the rooms.

The Park House Hotel exceeded my expectations! The hotel's size and location were great. However, what truly made our stay special was the outstanding customer service provided by Nicola. She went above and beyond, delivering exceptional hospitality that made all the difference, especially with children in tow. Her dedication and kindness ensured a comfortable experience for all of us. I'm already looking forward to returning next week, and it's all thanks to Nicola's star service! Thank you, Nicola, for making our stay truly memorable

I don't understand the reviews for this “hotel.” For me, it's one of the worst hotels in Great Britain. Why? 1. The beds are unusable because they are on wheels and the mattresses are very hard. This means that the whole bed wobbles extremely. 2. In the middle of the night, the towel warmer suddenly made so much noise that the wall vibrated extremely. 3. Extremely loud noise in the hotel until after midnight. 4. The curtain suddenly fell to the floor because the end fitting on the right was not installed. 5. Statements such as “Park House Hotel has 103 ensuite bedrooms that are comfortable, spacious and refurbished with modern décor and luxury furnishings” are simply not true. 6. All complaints were acknowledged, but that was it. 7. The breakfast was of the lowest standard and served in a horrible room with dirty tables. Conclusion: A horrible hotel with a very nice view of the sea. Not recommended, outdated and not really “renovated.”

Had a lovely stay with our 2 children! Room was massive so plenty of space to move around, plenty of storage and to stowaway our suitcases! Bathroom was decent sized our only issue was the drain in the bath was very slow to drain away! 2 lifts so no issues with stairs! Staff were fantastic couldn't do enough for you, the reception team were always friendly and available, breakfast team were more than happy to help with anything you needed and the evenings were very well produced and enjoyable! Both our sons watched 2 of the shows and had a few games of bingo! No issues or problems thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would come back!

Me and a friend booked here last weekend and paid £138 for a twin room with sea view. The photos of the rooms looked great and the reviews for some odd reason, are mainly decent. I cannot understand how anyone could review this place as decent, let alone even acceptable. Our room was a derelict, smelly and noisy squabble at the back of the hotel and the state of the interior was awful. It was an expensive mistake which I regret and I advise anyone looking to book here to steer well clear. An absolute joke and the staff did nothing to sort the issue or change our room, even though housekeeping staff told me there were other free rooms available which would have made things better. A total disgrace. Avoid!

We had a sea view room. Like the hotel, the room had nice old feel in it. Unfortunately oldness was showing on piping also. When family of four was taking showers you had to be careful not to use too much of water. Breakfast service was handled well but selection and the quality left much room of improvement.

We had a fantastic stay at the park house hotel. The saff were amazing phoned to book 2 rooms asking if we could be right next to each other which they did 2 rooms with side view of the sea. Rooms clean with kettle, tea, coffee milk. Breakfast was nice staff were so lovley in the mornings especially Hazel so nice and cheerful. Reception staff were also very nice and very helpful. I'll be honest. Our first impression wasn't great, but we put that down to the 14-hour journey we had to get here, so we were very tired when we arrived. The room was clean and tidy. However the desk that was opposite the bunk bed one of the drawers were broken so we were unable to use that one, and the bottom drawer on the beside next to the double and single bed was also broken so we were unable to use that. The shower - Took us a moment to figure out how it worked as it is one of those dual head ones, but once we figured it out, it was lovely. However, the soap dispenser in the shower wasn't filled. (We did bring our own with us anyway as we know not all hotels provide this.) When getting out the shower, there wasn't really an accessible place to put our towels for when we get out so we didn't get the floor wet so we did have to put towels on the floor to catch any water coming off us (Might be worth possibly putting a hook on the wall just next to the shower to put a towel on?) The Sink - Not much to say really as it's a sink, but there is a soap dispenser on the wall that only had a little bit of soap left inside. Room Storage - As mentioned previously, there was a desk opposite the bunk bed, and 2 bedside tables one in-between the single bed and double bed and another on the other side of the double bed, there also was a small 1 door wardrobe or tall boy. Personally, I think for a family room that should house 5, I don't think this is enough as only one of us was able to use the tall boy while the rest of us had to use our suitcases to keep our things in. (I don't know if it might be worth taking out the 2 chairs that are opposite the double bed and putting a 2 - or 3-door small wardrobe there, I'm not saying this is a must do but a suggestion) Seating In The Room - In our room there was a total of 3 chairs and 1 sofa bed. One of the chairs was dirty (the one by the desk) , and the sofa bed was comfy but a little bit run down. The Staff - From what we experienced, we were very friendly and helpful despite listening to my dad ramble on (Apologies for this). Overall, the hotel does need a bit of TLC, but I understand that in this day and age, it can be hard for businesses to afford the costs for the services needed, but we did have a pleasant experience and would stay again.

Reading the reviews and was pleasantly surprised, it really wasn't as bad people made it out to be. the room was clean however the heating didn't work so we complained , afterwards though it was fixed shortly after. We didn't have much towels and toilet paper but it was no problem. The staff was very nice and pleasant. The food was also very nice, very filling and was delicious you could also pick out some of your own food afterwards! The lift was a bit outdated but it was fine and fully working, you can't really complain for what you're getting in my opinion. As a family of 4 we would definitely come again for the prices your paying you can't expect much. Forgot to mention there was also activities at night (bingo and a singer). This hotel is a relaxing atmosphere and the view in the restaurant lead out to the sea which was nice to see. They also had free hotspot which was easy to log in and fast working. The beds was comfortable to sleep in and the bedding was clean. People just bring this place down as it's a bit outdated but it really isn't bad here.

Well this hotel was booked for us as part of a U14s Football Tournament. What can I say I've stayed in better hotels in third world countries. The young chap could do with a smile and a course on customer service. The hotel can do with a makeover / renovation. The room was small and it stunk. No Soap or shower gel and could close the bathroom door. Curtains hanging off. Some sticky residue on one the drawers beside the bed. I rather have slept in my car. Big up the kitchen staff they were engaging and asked for boiled eggs and made me some. Over the 2 nights had very poor sleep.

Good and Bad ? When we arrived, the front hallway clean and fresh. Taking into account this is a family run business you sometimes have to wait a while before someone attends to the bell. The "staff are very friendly". The lift unfortunately has seen better days but there are notices to say to users please close the door as the lift won't operate for the next user IF someone leaves the door open. unfortunately the rooms and hallways could do with new and office style carpeting. It feels like your walking on layers of carpeting. The room was fresh with fresh bedding but a family member requested a walk in shower but we had a bath with shower and the shower? nope! you would be quicker wiping yourself down with damp cloths. Views ? Nope, we were at the back. Parking ? forget it. I wanted to reserve a space before I arrived thus no stress, remember, this place is on the Promanade, £10 per day for a space. I had no problems paying for it, take the stress away but i managed to grab the only space available so i was very lucky. Now the good parts. Tram virtually across the road. The hotel bar is very good, just ask the bartender or explain what the drink is made of and they oblige very nicely. The bar entertainment room was clean and tidy. Don't even mention the seats though, i had to sit on the framework, the seats are done. The entertainment singers were good. The Restaurant was lovely and clean and the food was really good. I even stated to my wife instead of eating out we should have booked our meals in the hotel and had are drink there so very positive point. My friend and I went for a game of pool. The bar area again was clean and nice but unfortunately the pool table was unloved, it needed a good brush and the windows has that thin plastic screen on them. So even though we got on really good with the family, yes there are various issues that need to attend to and I mentioned this to them politely I still take into account this is a family run business going via very hard times just like many hotels and B&Bs around the country so giving a bit leeway. Would I book again ? Yes but i know what I was looking forward to and would adjust accordingly. I'm more of a caravan person so this was booked outside my knowledge at the time. A fresh lick of paint outside and in would work wonders.

Firstly, I recognize a night here in a family suite is rather cheap - £45 so my expectations were not all that high. However, I was horrified upon arrival - you still expect at least some kind of warmth or comfort. The hotel was freezing cold, furniture and walls marked, scratched and well over used. The front door to the hotel is always open - allowing anybody to enter, there was no safety precautions. The lift is accessible for anybody to use and to enter - all rooms including the cafe area, coffee shop are open at all times which caused a great sense of alarm for passers by. I think the use of fobs would be a much safer option. Rubbish strewn across the outside of the hotel, weeds everywhere, paint falling off the outside. Cash only accepted for parking outside of the hotel which is not even safe and reliable anyway. Apparently it's owned by an outside company - who by the way never checked the cars outside. So false advertisement and the need for money is just greed to me. No consideration for noise towards guests - on approach we were given rooms that were accessible through the restaurant area with a radio blaring and an awful smell of food lingering from dinner just before. No remote control in our room, no towels, cobwebs and scaled water left in the kettle. Light bulbs were hanging out of lights and the light fittings were falling out of the wall. Floorboards were falling apart beneath our feet. The curtains did not close and outside lights were flickering all night. The rooms and corridors smelt like mould, cheese and just rotten moisture. There's signs stating no food to be brought past certain points in the hotel yet all you could smell was various different take aways that people were bringing in unnecessarily. Baring in mind my party had a 3 year old, so this was not at all suitable. Luckily my child was already asleep upon arrival. Throughout the night, the workers did not even speak to us nor acknowledge us. Wet floors without signs, out of date posters and information scattered all around. Members of staff were just rude and had no interest in their jobs but to be honest I'm not surprised at the state of the hotel. There were dirty clothes thrown outside of our windows. And items left in drawers from previous Lodgers. If you just want to lay your head with low expectations I would recommend this place but other than that, I would never advise staying here until it's had a complete refurb and tidy up. The prices are way too overboard for what you get. I can understand why people upgrade completely Personally, I will not be returning.and would not recommend to anybody. Also, if you are visiting Blackpool for the sea front and piers. I would never recommend staying North Shore - head to South Shore. The hotels are a lot nicer up there. Even the B&Bs look nicer then the majority of hotels around Blackpool. One big positive I must add the tram is easily accessible from outside the hotel and all along the strip which also runs regularly too.
Megan-Rose R — Google review
If I could I would give a 0. I recognise the prices are very cheap and my expectations after reading the reviews were not high. The person at the reception was nice upon arrival. Room was very dirty, bed was covered in hair, however the main issue was the power cut. At 8pm there was a power cut in the room, husband went to reception and was told lights were back on, but on the room there was no electricity at all, there was on the corridor but not on the room, when told there was still no electricity in the room the person in reception just said yes sorry. No offer to change the room, no nothing, we just left, we found a cheap hotel online and just left. I am very glad we did, as we didn’t pay that much for the other hotel and it was a 5* compared to this one. Please avoid, do not book if you are travelling here even if it is cheaper. Rather pay a little more for better comfort and at least basic facilities.

This hotel was absolutely disgusting my family had to leave in the middle of the night l'm pregnant and I had my 9 year old son, my partner had to get us emergency accommodation and cut our holiday short. We've all got scabies from the dirty bedding, nails in the carpet no shower door cracked and damp flooring. The hallways and bedroom carpets stink, they are dirty and covered in flaky paint and rubbish. The manager is useless and refused a refund so we're taking him to court. The Manager is rude and ignorant didn't seem phased when I told him about the dirty room. I gave him a chance to fix it but he refused so we left. I've tried to go through booking.com and they are just as useless I will not recommend this hotel to anyone and will advise people to avoid booking.com. Also the lift isn't safe. I have reported to Blackpool council under health and safety. Please avoid this hotel at all costs!

Check in very welcoming, parking at the back and the reception staff were there to greet me, park me up and lead me into the hotel. Inside is spotless, relaxed in my room after the cursory checks, spotless. And had a comfy nights sleep, with no unexpected guests (bed bugs). Bar area at reception is a bit depressing, not cheap either. Breakfast was 9 out of 10, linen covered tables, great staff, modern traditional style, food cooked really well. On leaving they led me out of a rear exit, straight to my car., and I left as a very happy customer. For the best price available, phone the hotel direct. I got a double bedroom for the price of a Single, obviously depends on how busy they are. Summery, would I go again? Definitely. Thank you Lawton Hotel ****

Pros: This hotel is value priced. It is located a short walk from Winter Gardens so if you’re here for ballroom it’s a great location. The staff is helpful, kind, polite and accommodating. The breakfast is complimentary and good. The linens are clean. The beds aren’t uncomfortable. There’s a blow dryer in the room. Cons: Sundries (shampoo/soap/conditioner) aren’t provided. We did ask and they gave us a small hand soap and then the manager went above and beyond by providing shower wash from their flat. They don’t have charging stations for USB devices but they did have one available at the front desk when we asked. The rooms are old and somewhat run down. Clean but not maintained/deep clean. No AC in the room. Summary: If you’re looking for a five star resort with full amenities this isn’t the place for you but if you want a value priced location with stellar service and don’t mind a bit of rustic atmosphere this is a great choice. The hotel is quiet but there’s quite a bit of outside noise from cars and birds - stupid birds 😂.

A sunny April afternoon, the 'green'- Lawton Hotel is giving off a positive vibe. Nicely presented outside terrace area and a clean open feel on entering. The receptionist is attentive, organised and efficient, giving me all the details I need including car parking information. The room is compact but there are signs of low maintenance routines. Heavily scuffed skirting and walls, stains on the carpet, holes in the tiled ceiling and bathroom. Grouting and peeling off silicon are prominent. Weirdly, hot and cold taps are reversed in the hand basin, not good practice. The shower does have an extractor fan fitting in the ceiling but this doesn't work. The shower rail was very loose and coming off the wall with remnants of an old broken soap dish which had been snapped off and thrown away, leaving a double sided sharp plastic shard. The 'monitor sized freeview tv does work with all channels available. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided in room, but the kettle has not been descaled since new and deposits remain in the bottom, hairs on the shower tiles (pet hate) and previous guest's used soap still sits in the shower. Of course on taking a shower and realising I had neither a hand nor a bath towel did not amuse me either. There is a bar and lounge at reception with a fair range of drinks available. A lift services all floors. Entrance is restricted and you need to use your room card to access which is a positive point. Breakfast was good. Food quality was good with staff serving you up to seven items (upgrade available). Cereals, tea and coffee, juices etc on hand. Vegan options can be ordered in advance but only white toast available. On the whole, nice breakfast and great staff who treat you as a regular, respectful and efficient. In summary, a great situated hotel in the Central area, parking available, quiet with room for simple improvements and good value for money.

4th time staying here. Great hotel. Fabulous location near the town. Rooms are basic but they have everything you need. Martin the manager is great. He's really helpful. Well stocked bar. Can't comment on the Brea as I'm never up early enough to enjoy it.

The room was an ok size but the bathroom was very small which made it difficult to use comfortably. The toilet didn’t flush every try, it would take about 5 attempts. The hotel doesn’t give refunds if you need to amend your stay within 28 days of arrival so I changed my booking from 2 nights to 1 and didn’t get any refund back. £219 for 1 nights stay was too much for what they offer. The carpet in my room had a hole in it, the tv remote didn’t work and the bed was very creaky. The positives were it’s in a great location, big carpark nearby and the breakfast was amazing. It was buffet cooked food and cereals, only thing that would have made it better would be fruit, I really wanted a banana with my breakfast but they don’t offer fruit. I wouldn’t stay again due to the price and the bathroom.

Situated along the tranquil New South Promenade, the hotel is just a short walk from popular attractions such as Pleasure Beach, Sandcastle Waterpark, and South Pier. The beach is easily accessible across the promenade where visitors can marvel at the world's largest glitterball.
Myself and my wife had 3 lovely days here. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic. Full English and continental. The choices were very good. The staff were absolutely amazing. Especially Mick, nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The room's and the decor were very nostalgic. Definitely old style Blackpool but we loved it and the whole place from top to bottom was absolutely spotless. You don't need to pay top dollar to stay in Blackpool and this place proved it wonderfully. We will definitely be back 🙂

Service very friendly, and breakfast nice. The hotel is old, and while the vintage effect is nice in the lobby areas, the rooms are very dated. The bed mattresses were very worn and not comfortable. Minmal toiletries are provided - just some bars of soap. It was at the cheaper end of the scale though, and located right next to a tram stop so getting around is easy.

Pros: Good breakfast, excellent service, friendly , accommodating staff, clean rooms, adequate car parking. Cons: too far south (a bit out of the way), dated decor, tired snooker table, antiquated lift ( which in some ways made it intriguing to get in).

It is not " beachfront" as advertised, you need 20 min walk to beach. Another issue is that the restaurant is closed after 6 p.m. When I asked the receptionist where I could have my dinner, he said I'd have to take the tram and ride a few stops to the next restaurant. Despite the restaurant—a huge one that takes orders until 10 p.m.—was a two-minute walk away, and I'm sure the receptionist knew that.

We had a 3-day and 2-night stay at this lovely hotel. This is one of the traditional England heritage hotels. I had the chance to meet the owner of the hotel, Mr. Charles( the king of course) and we shared a pleasant conversation about his family, this hotel and his contribution. He was the cook and was serving to us. He is a super friendly person and took care of us till we left the hotel. We felt so welcomed by him and his staff. His wife was in the kitchen too, taking care of everyone. On arrival, we are given the sea-facing family room. We felt so revived staying there. I am going back for such a pleasant experience again.

Loved our family stay here! Carlton and partner were amazing hosts and very welcoming! Beds and breakfast were worth every penny and will definitely be returning in the future! Thankyou for your hospitality!

I can't say enough good things about this hotel. The hosts are amazing and nothing is too much trouble. The place could do with a facelift but who cares when the welcome and ambiance are so good. Breakfast is Brilliant and Carlton doesn't mind you getting a food delivery in the evening. Stacey is also a fantastic hostess and a great conversationalist. Hats off to both of them. I'm going up next week for my 4th stay and can't recommend the hotel enough. Ok it's not the Ritz Carlton but it's certainly Carltons Ritz. Love it.

Very heart warming, the hotel staff were brilliant very respectful and very kind to all residents and very child friendly place they have to us placed out for the children to play with they said residents could us the TV the Wi-Fi and the pool table and sorry in the lounge have a beverage and still have a good time beautiful rooms beautiful hotel 100% come back again. Carlton and Stacey were amazing helped residents of they needed anything and helped with other things too. I've been many hotels in Blackpool and this by far is the greatest one I've ever been to. Met some wonderful people and we all decided to stay in contact with one another. We all may come back to this hotel next year to reunite as a holiday one big holiday for friends.

Fantastic value for money in a very central location, 1 min walk for the Prom in between South and Central Piers. Carlton and Stacey were wonderful and friendly hosts, Carlton welcomed us on arrival for a quick and easy check in. Room was ideal for myself and the kids, clean sheets, toiletries and towels and comfortable beds. Great full breakfast available, and the kids eating free was just amazing! The bar was so handy to grab drinks at night, with the best ice in Blackpool! 😄 Everything you want from a stay in Blackpool, will definitely be back, thank you!

I recently had the pleasure arranging for a stag-do night at the Lucena Hotel, and it was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our group had an unforgettable experience. What truly stood out was the level of personalized service we received. A big thanks to Calton for the hospitality. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, providing the perfect retreat after a night of celebrations. If you're looking for a fantastic venue for a stag-do in Blackpool, look no further than the Lucena Hotel. Five stars all the way!

Really cannot thank Stacey and Carlton enough for the hospitality and going to the extremes to please myself and family. It was a spur of the moment. Decision on bank holiday was greeted by a friendly chap and his partner. Room was excellent value, clean and tidy. Breakfast was amazing and plentifull. Very child, friendly nice little bar and even went to the extremes to helping us dry clothes and even after a very long day. Stacey took the time to play with my stepson. Nothing was too much for these people. It was like staying with family would definitely recommend. I will definitely stay here again, thank you both so very much for the pleasant stay

I would firstly like to thank Ellie for the easy experience of booking two rooms for my family of 4 and my in laws, she went above and beyond to accommodate us. Thank you to Carlton and Stacey for their hospitality and making us feel welcome in their hotel. The rooms were very spacious and well maintained. The beds were very comfortable and we had everything we needed in our room to make it a pleasant stay. The facilities in the hotel were fantastic, the bar was great with very cheap drink offers and had a pool table with a kids toy area to keep them entertained. I highly recommend the buffet style breakfast on offer as it was delicious with a wide choice to cater for everyone with unlimited free tea and coffee throughout the day. Lastly I met a friend for life in Peter who was amazing and made our stay fun and memorable. There was nothing too much trouble for him and he was happy to help. He was a true gentleman. Because of this we will be returning in the near future as we had an amazing experience. Thank you from the Clisham family

Actually allowed us to check in 4/5 hours early so we could make the most of our day & night which was really helpful! No complaints lovely stay & will definitely be back!! New owners are so lovely & friendly couldn’t do enough to help. Breakfast is great value too £7.50 each and kids eat free!

Fantastic host and very friendly atmosphere. Very helpful when my friend who came to Blackpool with me with her two young granddaughters was let down by the hotel she had booked as no one there to book them in. Ravi sorted a room at our hotel for her and we all had the best time. Rooms and beds comfortable and warm. Did not have breakfast this time but have said before and food amazing. Definitely won't go anywhere else but here. Stayed 6.06.25 til 08.06.25

WARNING DO NOT STAY HERE ! You have been warned it is terrible. My friends and I booked 3 rooms here. The rooms are small and outdated overall the worst place we have ever stayed. The toilet hardly flushed properly you had to keep pressing the flush handle several times. In my room the water was coming up through the shower drain after I had used the sink which smelt really bad. This place needs knocking down a complete 100% refurbishment Needed. The only good thing about this place was the cooked small breakfast in the morning. I complained to the owner/manager about the heating about how cold it was last night only to be told I should of had a few extra drinks to stay warm and tried to laugh it off I wasn't amused. Overall people don't stay here you have been warned.
Paul — Google review
Well what a place the room which was for 3 people you couldn't swing a cat in. It would have been small for 2 but for 3 was ridiculous. The decor was terribly drab & dark. The toilet room door didn't shut properly. The shower had an old fashioned curtain & was tiny. The whole place needs updating. Breakfast which was described as the best ever was not. One piece of bacon one sausage a small portion of beans a fried egg with hard yoke & 2 slices of toast no offer of more & that was £9 worth! DO NOT be fooled by the reviews or the pictures. The room pictures look nothing like the rooms & the breakfast is not the best ever. Book at your peril

"The hotel was perfectly adequate — clean, comfy, did the job. As for the guy who checked us in, let’s just say he won’t be winning Mr. Congeniality anytime soon. He looked like he'd lost a bet and had to be there all weekend. Still, 10/10 for consistency — he stayed grumpy the whole time!

Dump. Room was filthy, the windows look like they haven’t been cleaned since millennium. Toilet didn’t work, old and outdated. Threadbare carpets throughout. Imagine a hostel….you got it. Guy on reception is rude and arrogant. Cameras everywhere and constantly barking rules at you. Do yourself a favour. Avoid !

With 12 bedrooms and spacious public areas, it provides a homely accommodation experience. Guests praise the spotless rooms with ample amenities and commend the owner, Vicky, for her exceptional hospitality. Families particularly appreciate the multiple-bedroom options and welcoming atmosphere.
Chose this B&B based on its rating and we were not disappointed. Hosts are really good, rang us to say room was ready early which was a nice touch. Parking is a bit like Jenga, having to move once in a while, because it is small, but being free - it's absolutely no issue. Breakfast was really good. Very filling.. Room could of done with a couple less pieces of furniture to make it more manageable. All in all an excellent place to stay. Many thanks for your hospitality.

An absolute perfect and amazing hotel! Rooms can’t be more clean, and they come with everything you need! Staff treats you really good, and are always open for a chat. Location of the hotel is great if you want to visit the main attractions (for example Pleasure Beach and the Piers). If you have the time also make sure to visit the cosy bar downstairs! I had an absolute perfect stay here!

Just stayed here for 2 nights There was 1 guy running the whole place on its own and he did it all amazing and was so nice there was a bar and a bit of disco with a pool table and darts breakfast was amazing rooms was nice just could do with a new mattress on the bunk bed as a bit springy but still fine whole place was exceptionally clean

This Hotel is situated between North and Central Piers, less than 100m from the Promenade. There is a bar and pool table on the ground floor. The room we had was basic but with its own toilet/shower. The bed was very comfortable. A large wall-mounted TV and coffee/tea making facilities completed the set-up. At just £55 per night (2 people), it's very reasonable, and for an extra £7 each, a full English breakfast was included. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The only complaint was a fair amount of surface dust. Apart from that, I can recommend this establishment.
Michael S — Google review
We booked this place on a whim, the room was quite small for a family room is very modern compared to other local Bed & Breakfast. The lady was very welcoming, a good range of breakfast and the hotel throughout was clean and tidy. Would definitely recommend again and would probably stay again.

Lovely accommodating owner, comfortable rooms and great service. Stayed here over the weekend with family, we had 2 family rooms and a double room. Kinga went above and beyond to accommodate us all straight from the start. Lovely breakfast and makes sure everyone has something to eat. We had a baby with us and she went out her way to cook something additional for her. Owner works around the clock to keep the place going and is always around if you need her. Will be back if I’m ever in the area in the future.

This is the 4th time I've been welcomed by one of the most caring hostesses in Blackpool. I travel often to this seaside town, since I have business interests there. The welcome is always warm and friendly, breakfast is fresh and worth the extra pay, which is nothing compared to prices elsewhere. Rooms are clean, fresh and excellent value for money. My room was warm and comfortable. Thank you again for a lovely stay, Kinga.

The rooms may be tiny, but I have to give them full stars for cleanliness and friendliness. I get a little claustrophobic in small spaces, but they let us use the sofas downstairs anytime, even when bringing our own food. I sleep really well, not noisy.

Had a lovely 5 day stay here and would highly recommend, Nick is a great host and very good at recommending local places to go. The beds are to die for, so comfortable and our room was really well equipped. We had a lounge/dressing room area, shower room, fridge and ample tea, coffee and milk. Water was also left in the fridge for our arrival. Breakfast is just the right amount for us and there was also lots of cold options, fresh juices and milk in individual bottles. We can’t wait to come back. Also loved Boo the dog.

Myself and my 2 children are currently staying here and WOW. Best hotel we've stayed in. Absolutely beautiful decor throughout the building. Room is absolutely perfect. The fridge is definitely an added bonus. We've been down for our first breakfast and it was amazing. So many foods, both hot and cold, to choose from. A wide range of drinks also and the host is just amazing. Such a friendly and helpful person. And the biggest thing for my two children is the WiFi. Having stayed in quite a few hotels in Blackpool the WiFi has never worked, but here it is brilliant. We will absolutely be staying here again.

Room 4 pics attached (family suite). Rooms small but very clean. Bathroom isn't the best but OK if you're using the room just to get your head down like we were. Lounge area in the room was OK but not big enough for a family. Breakfast area is very nice but be aware, breakfast is very short (8am - 8:30am). Basement bar area was good. Pool table was top quality. Drinks expensive though. Service was great.
Arron M — Google review
Nice hotel but overpriced for what it is. Room was spacious and clean but the bathroom needs sorting. The taps didn't work properly and neither did the shower. The shower head was all clogged up and only dribbled. Breakfast is fancy, as reviews, with beans and tomatoes in separate pots. Even juice and milk were in there own little bottles. You only get one egg, one bacon, one sausage etc. I asked for a fried egg instead of the standard poach and I got "oh no, we don't do that". Didn't bother asking for fried bread! 🤣 And no muesli. Breakfast is only served it between 8 - 8:30. My wife likes to have a second cup of coffee with her marmalade and toast but everything is tidied away and set for the next day by 9am! The breakfast room was nicely decorated but they need to get rid of the "calming" music. It's like sitting in a funeral parlour waiting room! Overall disappointing for the price but proprietor was nice and chatty - if you wanted to hear all his woes!

Great hotel. Fab location. Very Blackpool. Staff great. Room cosy but there were 2 adults and 2 teenagers but we came to see the sights and not sit in the room! We parked just up the road (1 minute walk) and only costs £7 for 24 hours. Definitely recommend.

Would highly recommend for anyone thinking of visiting Blackpool.

A beautiful guest house with a wonderful host. The rooms are very modern and spacious and in most importantly they are very warm and damp free, something that has been lacking in Blackpool. John the host is a great laugh and a very accommodating, does the work himself but all with a smile (his two west highland terriers are a treat to play with too). All in all this guest house is the best ive stayed in within Blackpool and considering how many there are here, it is a diamond in the rough. Also Johns breakfast skills are brilliant. Well worth the price.

Just returned from a long weekend in Blackpool and were lucky to stay at The Glen. We received a very warm welcome and were made to feel comfortable. The room was small but more than adequate, very clean and had all those little touches such as bathrobes, slippers, toiletries, fresh water and tea and coffee making facilities. The rooms were serviced daily and replenished as needed. The towels were soft and fluffy and replaced when you requested. The bed was comfy as were the pillows and smelt fresh and clean. A menu was available for breakfast to pre-order and I can recommend the full English it was cooked to perfection, tasted wonderful and was so big we didn’t have to eat until the evening. There was also fresh fruit, cereals, cereal bars and fresh juice. I cannot recommend this hotel enough and shall be returning on our next visit.

Ideally located in the centre of the attractions, this is a charming little bnb. The rooms are all clean and modern, bed is comfortable, and a warm welcome given. Spent 2 nights at the Rimini would certainly recommend. Was met by Carol and Rod very friendly and helpful. We were shown to our room which was the family room was very spacious with drinking facilities and plenty of storage space, TV and the beds were comfy, we had a great nights sleep both nights. The location for us was perfect, we spent 1 day at the pleasure Beach which was within walking distance and the next evening Tower end again within walking distance no having to get taxis or trams. The Beach which is a 2 minute walk away at the end of the road was perfect not to busy, tower end of the beach seemed very crowed where as this was the ideal spot. Nothing was to much trouble for Carol and Rod they checked we had what we needed and left you to come and go and do your own thing. Lots of places near by to eat and I'm returning in the school 6 weeks holidays and will certainly try as my first option to check availability to stay here again
