Pancake restaurant
Pub Kompressor, located in Estonia's capital, is a classic cafe-restaurant in the Old Town known for its huge and diverse sweet and savory pancakes. Despite its unassuming appearance, it's a popular spot among locals due to its delicious food and reasonable prices. The restaurant offers almost thirty different variations of pancakes, making it a perfect budget-friendly brunch destination.
This place is phenomenal and I highly recommend it to all who visit Tallinn! Their blini / pancakes are large and delicious, and their ciders are also really good. I ordered the blini with cold smoked salmon and cheese and loved every bite. I would definitely return to this restaurant many times!
Spencer B — Google review
Pancake was flavorful, soups were nice as well. We arrived at 16:45 and waited about 5m to get a table. After that hour, it's pretty crowded with a long line. Price of pancake is just ~7euro, it's huge, enough for two.
Trần T — Google review
A legendary pancake place where there’s almost always a queue. We waited about 10 minutes to get in (visited at 8:30 PM, they close at 10 PM). We ordered: smoked salmon pancake perfect, my personal favorite; chicken in cream sauce pancake not for everyone, a bit dry for my taste; ham with cheese sauce pancake; beef with pickles pancake - delicious if you like pulled boiled meat; sweet pancake with strawberries and ice cream top choice, tender and well-balanced; sweet pancake with cherries and vanilla sauce - a bit unusual because of the coconut flakes (I’d skip them), but my friends loved it. Portions are huge and generously filled — one pancake can easily be shared by two. The staff speaks multiple languages, and Milan was friendly and attentive.
Daria B — Google review
Great place, absolutely must visit when you are in Tallinn! The food is very tasty, big portions - so come here not for adessert but for a main course. There's usually a queue at the entrance but it totally worth it!
Olha K — Google review
Smoked salmon pancake was AMAZING. I also highly recommend The mushrooms soup. Staff was very friendly and nice. Good price. I would definitely come back here in the future:)
Laila R — Google review
Amazing pancakes!! We had to wait only for 10 min approximately which is nice and the wait was totally worth it! Big portions and amazing flavor.
Alexia M — Google review
I recommend trying the pancake with beef, pickles and cream cheese. That one was really tasty. The one with smoked chicken and feta cheese was unfortunately not our cup of tea. You get a good and filling portion for the prize though. Overall atmosphere a bit cold and impersonal and quite long waiting times since the table set-up is not very efficient.
Hanna B — Google review
Great find, recommend to us. Savoury and sweet pancakes, soups, bread , drinks in a large dark serving space

Cafe
Restaurant
Cafe Maiasmokk, a historic coffee house dating back to 1910, is a must-visit in Tallinn's Old Town. Its classic charm reminiscent of Vienna's coffee houses makes it an institution in the city. The cafe is famous for its hand-painted marzipan angels and adjoins a renowned chocolate shop that should not be missed.
Really liked the atmosphere and the vintage setting they have got going on. The menu was limited but there was a good selection of cakes. Service can get a little slow on rush hours or if there are a lot of tourists but otherwise it's calm and well maintained. Was good to see the history of the place still being respected. As far as the actual food goes, nothing really remarkable, but it was definitely delicious. Overall a visit worthy place
Vivek M — Google review
Visited Kohvik Maiasmokk, Tallinn's oldest café, established in 1864. The atmosphere is steeped in history, with a beautifully preserved interior that transports you back in time. The coffee, while a bit lighter than what I'm accustomed to, aligns with local preferences. It's smooth and pairs well with their selection of pastries. A unique feature is the Kalev Marzipan Museum Room, offering insights into the art of marzipan making and its history. If you're in Tallinn, Kohvik Maiasmokk offers a delightful blend of history and flavor, making it a must-visit spot.
SY — Google review
Fabulous place with fabulous atmosphere. The menu is pretty small, but there is everything what is needed. We took the breakfast and it was very healthy. Waiting time was around 20 min. They have marvelous pastries. Note that they have limited places to seat, you might wait to grab a seat. Highly recommended!
Jevgenijs V — Google review
The food here is really nice and tasty. The staff are super friendly and welcoming. Prices are reasonable for a tourist spot. The place feels cozy and comfortable, and the view is amazing, that is perfect for relaxing. Definitely worth a visit!
Alvin T — Google review
Too much crowded, but cozy. Better to serve ‏Marzipan in smaller and different sizes, they have only big classic one. Their kohv was good, liked my experience 🥰. They need more staff because they have many customers.
Maryam B — Google review
Very elegant cafe with excellent cakes, but there is almost never available place to sit down. My favourite - curd dessert with berries.
Paula V — Google review
A Sweet Slice of History in Tallinn I had the pleasure of visiting Café Maiasmokk during my trip to Tallinn, and it truly felt like stepping back in time. The atmosphere is cozy and elegant, with beautiful historic décor that makes you want to linger. I ordered a slice of cake, and it was simply delicious—light, fresh, and full of flavor. The real star for me, though, was the cappuccino: rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. It might honestly be one of the best I’ve ever had! If you’re exploring the Old Town, don’t miss this gem. Great desserts, fantastic coffee, and a charming setting that makes the experience unforgettable.

The lovely lady at the cashier is so nice.. the café is Help surface you ordered at the counter and then you collect your order and seat yourself. The dessert is good a coffee not bad. However, I will repeat the experience because of the nice lady at the cashier who was patient, welcoming and helpful

Boheem is a charming crepe shop located in a traditional yellow wooden house in the Kalamaja district of Tallinn. While they offer an array of crepes, salads, and desserts throughout the day, Boheem is renowned for its healthy and delicious breakfast options. The little terrace in front of the building provides a perfect spot to observe the bustling morning activities of locals during summer while savoring a leisurely meal.
I hadn't been in years, so it was nice to pop back and have a late lunch with some friends. I chose the crepe (€11.50) which gives you the option of 4 toppings. I went with blue cheese, spinach, bacon, and wild mushrooms. It also came with a sour cream dipping sauce and small side salad, which needed to be seasoned more as it was quite bland. The crepe itself was very nice, though, and the wild mushrooms especially hit the spot for me along with the bacon. The service was friendly and welcoming. I like the interior in this place as it feels like you're in someone's living room and/or dining room. It's definitely worth a visit if you're a tourist in the city! :)
Matthew A — Google review
This place is pretty good, food was fresh and tasty. Eclectic atmosphere with tons of separate rooms, almost felt like a maze; but fun and vibey. Staff was nice and very…standard. Loved the banana mint milkshake; a must try.
Peter F — Google review
This place is very cozy, atmospheric and beautifully decorated with antiques, paintings and unique details. The space feels a bit like a maze with multiple rooms. The service was very welcoming and friendly. Unfortunately, the menu was quite limited, especially for vegetarians, vegans and pescatarians. I chose the shrimp pasta in creamy chili sauce with marinated paprika and blue cheese since it was the only option I liked. My friends tried the Caesar salad, dumplings (note that they are quite spicy) and nuggets with fries. All food was decent but nothing special. Regarding drinks, the house wine was good, but the Tequila Sunrise had almost no distinct flavor. Overall, this place is more about the atmosphere and experience rather than the food or drinks.
Vladyslava S — Google review
The design of the cafe is very interesting, but a cafe remains a cafe, probably only drinks and light snacks can be good. We visited for a birthday dinner and were disappointed. We ordered soup and main dishes, they brought drinks first, then soups and then main dishes, which got cold while we were eating soup, who does that? The creamy soups were really not creamy, we tried two different ones, the milky soup with curdled cheese is far from being creamy, the vegetables in the soup were just from a set of frozen vegetables, the tomato soup was also not creamy, it blows people's minds. The main dishes were greasy and at really high prices, for which you expect a more aesthetic image on the plate. Dried buckwheat with mini shrimp that were overcooked rubbery, chopped smoked salmon, all mixed with tomato sauce and topped with one half of a not-quite-ripe tomato when August is tomato season. 55 euros were received for such a dinner. Only vermouth and spritz cocktail was tasty. It's a shame that we decided to have dinner here.
Gabija ( — Google review
Been here many times and ate quite a lot of different dishes. Overall, rather simple food. Atmosphere is okay, but ventilation in the kitchen is not efficient enough and there is a super strong cooking/frying smell everywhere.
Anton P — Google review
Good nice simple food. Service a bit slow at first but picks up.
Jarmo S — Google review
We had lunch with my daughter, buckwheat with salmon and shrimps in tomatoe-basil sauce, pasta with chicken and Boheem pomegranate lemonades. So delicious! There was no dairy free pasta on the menu so the waitress arranged a special meal for my daughter. Super friendly service and very relaxed atmosphere. Also, we got our meals very quickly, portion size was good for a lunch. Definitely recommend!
Liivia P — Google review
The latte is now just normal/average, and the staff is not as friendly as I expected. Service can be slow, and you may need to wave to get the attention. Nonetheless, the atmosphere remains pleasant.

Cafe
Kohvik Must Puudel, also known as the Black Poodle, is a popular cafe in Tallinn that embraces ironic Soviet nostalgia. The cafe is filled with old Soviet furniture and decor, creating a unique atmosphere that resonates with the local ex-USSR crowd. It's renowned for its superb homemade hot chocolate, fresh pies, and cakes. The laid-back warmth of the living room area and the peaceful garden out back add to its charm.
Excellent place for breakfast or brunch in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The snacks and drinks are varied, with many healthy and vegetarian options. The waitresses are very attentive and friendly, making the experience even better.
Alex T — Google review
We went here for an evening drink on a Saturday. Upon entering we were told we could pick any free table and received the menu from a very friendly and cheerful staff member. The waiter happily advised us on which local beers and drinks to try. We also tried a 'snickers pie' and had a potion of loaded fries which we're very tasty.
Wouter S — Google review
This is a great place in historical old town Tallinn. Great atmosphere and delicious breakfast! Friendly employees speaking English. The price is also very reasonable. I Highly recommend it.
Grandmaster A — Google review
Fantastic restaurant in old town with a great selection of vegan and vegetarian food. The mushroom tacos were amazing and we ordered it twice. Staff are friendly and speak English. We went twice for lunch.
Sins W — Google review
Great service and very welcoming atmosphere. We were a group of 7 people and our waitress Onnalise (not sure if it’s written correctly, sorry) did an amazing job! The snacks and the beef salad were delicious, pork tacos and seafood pasta were average, but overall we really enjoyed our evening, thanks!

Seemed to be really nice small cafeteria! I visited just to have something to take away and got some really tasty bruschettas. One with strawberries and brie cheese and another with mussels, shrimps and caviar. Would be nice to visit this place another time!

RUKIS Kohvik ja Pagarikoda is a charming and popular cafe located in the heart of the city, offering a delightful variety of pastries, breakfast, lunch options, and more. The cafe provides an inviting ambiance with a picturesque interior that exudes a fairy tale-like charm. It's known for its quality food and drinks, including highlights such as oat lattes, peanut tartlets, and cinnamon buns.
Very cute place in the old town with the best omelet for me in the city (make sure to add cheese). Sometimes they served it with their rye bread (to die for), but sometimes not (quite confusing). Last time I had sõrnikud which were very tasty, also highly recommended. The prices are also quite reasonable for the quality of food and location. Some downsides: - there seems to be some issues with ventilation, it becomes stuffy inside very quickly, especially in summer - no tap water offered - there have been a couple of times when we came and they were closed in the morning (when they were supposed to be open), so we had to change our plans on the go.
Ekaterina S — Google review
Very nice brunch and coffee place in the old town, but the service is really problematic. There is no table service outside and people need to wait in long queues to order a coffee or something to eat. The food was really tasty and not expensive. Also served quite fast and with normal portions. Also the waiters are really slow and one of them even a bit rude, especially when I asked her to get the empty dishes that were sitting on the table for 20 minutes.
Thomas V — Google review
Great location at the entrance to the old town from Viru, this beautiful coffee & bakery offers also breakfasts. We opted for the pastries. A rhubarb crumble and a blueberry tartine. Accompanied by good quality coffee was just what we needed for a late lunch snack. Delicious food and friendly staff. And fantastic interior design!
Filip S — Google review
This place is absolutely lovely. Great music, delicious food and an excellent staff. I've come here twice and both times the prices were increduly reasonable and the service was quick and pleasant. I definitely recommend stopping here for a coffee, pastry or breakfast and their eggs are delicious.
Keri T — Google review
We dropped by two try a couple of pastries and get a coffee. We really enjoyed the moonirull. The place gets crowded so be mindful of other people waiting for a table. Very good service considering how full it can get!

Nice cafe where you could enjoy good breakfast with reasonable price. I had egg benedict with cold smoke salmon and my boyfriend had English breakfast. The atmostphere is cozy, family-friendly. I love my breakfast there.
Thuy D — Google review
Great little coffee shop in Old Town Tallinn. It's in a more touristy area of town, so I wasn't sure what to expect in terms of quality. However, the coffee was excellent. I also got the ham and cheese bread which was delicious. Definitely recommended!
Heshan U — Google review
The restaurant looked inviting on a cold, rainy afternoon in Tallinn. We were not disappointed. Had a lovely late lunch of the creamy wild boar neck soup with a side of rosemary fries. The accompanying bread was delicious. Had a pot of tea which was piping hot. The staff were lovely. Definitely recommended.

Breakfast restaurant
NOP Cafe and Shop is a charming spot located in the affluent neighborhood of Kadriorg. The cozy cafe offers an inviting ambiance, enchanting music, and an extensive menu that includes gluten-free and vegan options. Guests can indulge in delectable pastries, mouthwatering meals, and refreshing smoothies. The cafe also features a cute little store with local produce and handmade gifts.
NOP Cafe is truly one of the hidden gems in the area. The atmosphere is cozy and beautifully designed, with a calm and welcoming vibe both indoors and outdoors. What makes this place stand out is its focus on healthy, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared food. Their freshly pressed juices and smoothies are top-notch, packed with flavor and nutrients. The breakfast options, especially the organic poached eggs and grain-based dishes, are delicious and satisfying. I also appreciated the wide range of vegan, lactose-free, and gluten-free choices – something for everyone! The staff was friendly and service was quick. Whether you’re health-conscious or just looking for a great place to relax and enjoy good food, I highly recommend stopping by NOP Cafe.
Egemen Ç — Google review
Enjoyed excellent scrambled eggs and lattes at Tallinn's Nop Cafe & Shop. Service was friendly and attentive despite the crowd. However, food delivery was significantly delayed due to peak weekend brunch busyness. The charming, rustic atmosphere with its organic shop adds to the appeal. Highly recommended for food and vibe, but expect potential waits during busy times. Key points captured: 1. Food/Drink Quality: Excellent (scrambled eggs, lattes). 2. Service: Excellent (friendly, attentive, efficient under pressure). 3. Atmosphere/Vibe:Lovely, cozy, rustic, wholesome (with organic shop). 4. Main Negative: Long wait for food during peak time (acknowledged as due to busyness, not service fault). 5. Overall: Positive experience, worth recommending, with advice to plan for potential waits during busy periods.

The outdoor area was beautiful. This cafe/restaurant works for everyone - families, those who want to take cute photos, and those who want a cute date spot. Everything about this restaurant was excellent, just be careful about your drink orders. The group I went with gave them a 7/10. The food was beautifully prepared and tasted wonderful. The pastries were fresh and smelled incredible. There is also a small store area in the back to pick up a snack. I totally recommend if in the area.

This place has been phenomenal every time! Consistent, clean, great service, and tasty food. Honestly been one of my favorite casual places in Tallinn. The market is always stocked full of fresh, clean ingredients, with a wide variety of everything you really need and more. All Eco/Organic. 10/10 recommend trying anything here don’t skip on the market.
Peter F — Google review
NOP is an extremely contradictory place. I’ve visited several times, and each time I leave slightly confused—but smiling. The atmosphere in the courtyard is absolutely lovely—nostalgic and hip, with a laid-back energy that somehow reminds me of northern Thailand, particularly the places around Chiang Mai where we’ve spent many winters. I know it sounds unlikely, but the vibe is strikingly similar—a casual charm with a creative edge. The food is good—not groundbreaking, but fresh, healthy, and flavourful, clearly built on high-quality ingredients. It never disappoints in taste, even if it doesn’t aim to surprise. But then there’s the service, which is where the confusion kicks in. There are plenty of staff, yet somehow they often seem to avoid actually serving. They’ll polish glassware, chat among themselves, or stand around—but not approach the tables. It’s odd. And yet—on our last visit, we had the pleasure of being served by a young man with dark hair and striking brown eyes, and he was absolutely excellent. Attentive, communicative, present—the kind of service that truly elevates an experience. I wish I remembered his name, though I suspect he’s just here for the summer. So yes, NOP is a mystery—but one I’ll likely keep returning to.
Helina S — Google review
Very cozy place featuring a lot of high quality food and dishes. One of the best places to go out for brunch in Tallinn. Plenty of Gluten Free options. Prices are also very reasonable.
Fjodor — Google review
Tucked away in a peaceful Kadriorg residential neighborhood, this charming café is a great place to start the day. I ordered a plate of red cabbage kimchi, potato pancake, fried egg, bacon, cream cheese with chives, and organic salted cucumber — a delicious and well-balanced mix that felt both hearty and fresh. The service was warm and friendly, and the café boasts a cozy, spacious garden with plenty of seating — perfect for enjoying breakfast outdoors on a sunny morning. On top of that, the prices are very reasonable. All in all, a low-key yet memorable spot in Tallinn for a relaxed breakfast with a creative twist and great value for money.

Telliskivi Creative City is a vibrant hub in Estonia, housed in a former factory complex near Tallinn's Baltic train station. It boasts around 250 businesses, including studios, galleries, theaters, cafes, bars and cultural event spaces. The site features an outdoor art gallery with changing exhibits every two months and striking mural art throughout. Renovated industrial areas nearby offer diverse dining options from Estonian to international cuisine and craft beer bars.
This was one of my favorite areas to visit on our Baltic Sea Cruise. It's about a 25 minute walk from the bus drop off area in Tallinn. Lots of beautiful art to see and take pictures with. There was a huge market area, like Estonian Whole Foods with all the fresh fruits and vegetables and all the healthy products. Also an indoor marketplace with all sorts of artisan products from driftwood stuff to soaps and clothing and home products. Lots of restaurants and bars too. Also a game/card store.

We enjoyed a few hours strolling through the Creative District with up eat sounds of music from venues, cafes, eateries, and exhibits. The street art including wall murals and 3D displays show the works of many native and local artists. The Photograpy Museum offers a great museum with relaxing coffee shop, gift shops with ingenious photo gifts. The central area offers an outdoor free exhibit of framed modern works. Cafe
Pierre Chocolaterie, located in the Old Town of Tallinn since 2003, offers a cozy and inviting ambiance. Tucked away in the courtyard of master craftsmen on Vene Street, this cafe allures visitors with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and homemade chocolate. The historic setting of the Masters Courtyard adds to its charm, making it a must-visit for dessert-lovers and chocolate enthusiasts.
I dropped by this place on the recommendation of our tour guide following a walking tour of Tallinn. I chose the Ancient Aztec Chocolate Drink with Vanilla, Honey and Sea Salt, together with the Warm Chocolate Cake with Ice Cream and Whipped Cream. Both were absolutely delicious, but try not to think about the calories!

A rainy afternoon in Tallinn, found this place to have a hot drink and Cake. A very quirky place and in terms of atmosphere 100% - the interior is great. Its not table service - you have to go to the counter to order, which is fine, but be aware steep sleeps to go there & very tight on space, however, the staff do offer to bring the food / drinks to your table. The cakes are a decent size and very tasty, you perhaps could share. Drinks are average but good choice of teas. Definitely one to visit to savour the atmosphere.
Raj N — Google review
Outstanding atmosphere. Quirky and fun. Service was excellent. Unfortunately, our quiches were a bit overcooked and they didn't have a very big assortment of chocolates.

I found this cafe by happenstance while wandering in Tallinn. It’s amazing in its uniqueness and charm. To find a French coffee shop filled with antiques, furniture and decor from France in Estonia was a pleasure. I enjoyed its cakes and coffee as a welcome break from wandering about the Old City. Also, its staff were pleasant and helpful in selecting refreshments.

Lovely decor, great hot chocolate. We tried other chocolate cake and Sandwich and they didn't disappoint. Service was nice. One of the oldest cafe in Tallinn

Wonderful cafe in the Masters courtyard. Lots of variety in desserts and teas. Very friendly and helpful team.

I believe it's the most picturesque cafe, chocolaterie if you prefer, in Tallin. Hidden in a small street with plenty of other nice interesting shops, the space inside is relatively limited, but so picturesque. The service is good even though you have to order at the entrance at the cashier and the waitresses, and they help you to transfer everything you ordered at your table, if needed. Best hot chocolate I had in Tallin, the cake with limoncello was really tasty.

This Tallinn favourite has great food, service and style. The steak is succulent and the desserts are mouth-watering. With ample portions and creative dishes, Cafe Grenka is a perfect place for a relaxing meal or special occasion.
This cafe serves an absolutely delicious breakfast! Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The menu had a great variety, and everything we tried was exceptional. The cozy atmosphere and lovely decor made the experience even more enjoyable. The only minor downside was that the waitresses didn’t speak English, but they were still incredibly friendly and did their best to assist us. Despite the language barrier, their warmth and hospitality made us feel welcome. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a fantastic breakfast!

In August 2025, I visited 5 countries alongside my vegetarian friend, and we found some incredible spots! Even though I’m not vegan, I keep an open mind. Breakfast is my favorite time of day, and my dish (smoked salmon) was absolutely delightful. My friend enjoyed the vegan sausage.

Loved this place. All the food was truly delicious. The salmon dishes were amazing for breakfast and in the grenkas. But especially this perfect pavlova! I had yo come over and over again for more!

Delicious Grenkas, big portions, many options for breakfast, reasonable prices. They also have decaf. And the staff is helpful. It may get crowded, especially during the lunch time, so one may need to wait, and it can get loud, but there are many sittings. Also, they have the best sõrnikud in town!

Great place for food and coffee! I absolutely enjoyed the salmon grenka. Very generous portion and fresh! Come check this place out!
Adam ( — Google review
We visited the cafe on April 14th. Initially we were somewhat skeptical due to some publicity about the place, queues at the entrance, and waiting up to half an hour to seating st a table. What came of it: the place is really worth its positive reviews. Of course, during breakfast (until 13:00) the place is full, so it is better to book a table in advance. The waitresses are very friendly, despite the workload, they can easily guide you through the menu. As for the food: the portions are huge, with high-quality and fresh ingredients, full of flavor, worth every cent. The Pavlova dessert and chocolate fondant with ice cream were prepared perfectly (although the cook didn’t get the fondant right the first time. I’ll say right away that they didn’t bring us the fondant, the waitress warned us about this, that the waiting time had increased a little, because the dessert was being remade in the kitchen) . Despite the number of people and the bustling environment, it is pleasant to have breakfast there and your stay does not cause discomfort. We will be happy to visit you again

Really great friendly staff, spoke English well. Food was exceptional. Don't need to be gluten free to enjoy this food, but for us allergen lot, it's a wonderful safe place for us! Loved the chicken burger. Also really enjoyed the homemade meat dumplings. Desserts were top notch too! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a safe space to eat whilst on their travels if you have allergies/intolerance. Most items lactose free aswell as all gluten free!

Might be one of the best chicken sandwiches I’ve ever had. The breading was insane 🤯 All the ingredients tasted fresh and clean. Beer was great, dumplings and sweet potato fries were cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Staff was nice and helpful in English. Atmosphere was nice and chill. So much to do in the local area as well. A must visit area if you’re anywhere in Tallinn.

Food was awesome, staff was very accommodating of allergies and even had a menu in English in addition to Estonian. Have an oat allergy so couldn’t have the gluten free bread but staff suggested an absolutely delicious duck dish and cheesecake for dessert instead that I could safely eat. Was the best tasting duck I had this decade.

Great setting (cosy and edgy but also clean and spacious), lovely service and seems like chilled, kind clientele. This makes for a great experience, before we even get to the food! Fab for anyone on a GF diet - you can have veggie or vegan GF options- but also plenty for all types to enjoy. Vegan burger was yummy

Kehrwieder Saiakang Chocolaterie is a charming cafe and chocolaterie located in the Old Town of Tallinn. The establishment offers handcrafted chocolates, specialty coffees, and locally roasted coffee in a setting adorned with antiques and medieval stone walls. Despite its historic ambiance, Kehrwieder Saiakang Chocolaterie also serves homemade ice cream without preservatives or artificial coloring.
We spent some time here looking at all the hand-crafted pastries and cakes. We passed on the chocolate cake, rich tiramisu, special berry cake, apple tart, cheesecake, and some awesome looking quiches. We choose lemon meringue pie with just enough tart flavor cut by just enough sweet in a heavenly crust with stick meringue. Absolutely delicious. The venue is set in a cave like setting built in 13th century and the upper floors were added later This venue is decorated in a cool ambiance with wooden tables, unique lighting that matches the vintage co toured walls. Note that lighting is low. Excellent service for our takeout desserts.

The coffee and chocolate brownie were very good but it was ages before I was served (outside patio) even though it wasn’t busy. Nice location but a bit run-down. My cup, saucer and plate were all chipped. The patio area is calm and peaceful but there is also an inside area across the street. This wasn’t very clear. The toilets are located inside the café which seemed very dark.

It is a 4.5-star place, not 4, not 5. Very nice staff, although one of them was a bit pushy about placing more orders. The interior space is awesome; I highly recommend taking a look inside, even if you want to sit outside. The ice cream was mediocre, and only one type of ice cream was available, so no options :) But the coffee was better and tastier.

Absolute must visit in Tallinn! It can be a bit pricey but it is totally worth it! The cat inside the cafe is so cute. Amazing athmosphere and the best tiramisu I have had in a long time. The coffee is apparently roasted across the street and that was amazing aswell. I also really appreaciated the kindness from the staff especially one blonde girl with braided hair. If i could I would rate this experience 6 stars out of five.

I we t to this place and its very cozy and warm. Perhaps this time the cakes were way too expensive and did not meet the expectations. Amazing gelato flavors. The line out the door tells the story and is worth the wait. Reasonable prices as well. $3.5 for 1 scoop. $5.5 for 2.
Darrel ( — Google review
There were lots of different flavours of icecream to choose from. You can have up to four scoops per cone. The price goes up accordingly. It was very reasonably priced. The icecream was delicious. They also sell cold drinks, waffles, and coffees. Staff were polite and quick. The shop looked clean and well presented. There was limited access for people who use a wheelchair. There were a few steps into the store. I am not sure whether there was a ramp. At worst case scenario, it would be possible to get a member of staffs attention from the doorway.
Shelley C — Google review
We tried 4 flavors. All of them were really good and creamy. We especially liked largitsa, mustsostra and kirsi. The watermelon one had a different less creamy texture than the other ones. There are few sitting spots on the inside but plenty on the outside. The ice cream is as good as people say and is a must try.
Ece H — Google review
Average ice cream... WAY overhyped. The line was really long because they only had one server. On one hand, it’s very nice they offer samples. But they need extra staff! One server for a Saturday afternoon/early evening?!? Unfortunately I got spoiled with Molberts in Riga. This place was kind of pricey given the tiny ball of icecream. Won’t be going out of my way to return.

We had a delicious dinner and were so grateful to find a fully gluten free waffle restaurant! We had an assortment of savoury and sweet waffles: fried chicken, pulled pork, apple cinnamon, and raspberry and pistachio. Everything was delicious! Also fabulous service - would recommend to anyone!

The waffle was amazing, we also had fries and a lemonade. I was expecting a bit of lemon/ lime in the lemonade, it felt a bit too sweet. But overall a nice and good experience with superb food.

Visited this place for lunch and tried the Salmon one, crispy chicken and apple cinnamon waffle and they tasted amazing. They were fluffy and tasty. The size was also huge so I recommend getting half n half if you want salty and sweet. The Mango-passion lemonade was good but a bit too sweet. We also had sweet potato fries and the fries were good and there were a lot of them the only thing I did not like was the sauce with the fries I think it was house sauce but it was bit too vinegary and I would have preferred a garlic sauce with sourcream or ranch. The staff was friendly and service was fast. Everything was clean and definitely would visit this place again.

The only Celiac friendly restaurant in Tallinn. Also one of my favorites of all time. Located in a very beautiful and calm neighborhood. Staff very kind and accommodating. Cannot recommend this gluten free (coeliac safe), vegan and vegetarian friendly cafe/restaurant enough! FOOD: Healthy poke bowls with various options, like tofu, salmon, chicken, beef etc. They also have gf waffles with various toppings, like banana, caramel, berries etc. They use high quality fresh ingredients. The only thing I'd mention is that for my personal preference, there was A LOT of mayonnaise-like creamy sauce on my poke bowl. STAFF: Very helpful. Our meals came out fast, hot and were planned up well. INTERIOR: Fresh, minimal and yet homely. They have kid friendly areas with books and colouring pencils. Bathrooms are on site and there is both indoor and outdoor seating. OVERALL: Highly recommend, we went back a few times.

While they are fully booked for tonight’s dinner, I was seated to try out their same menu for lunch. What’s not to like at a Michelin mentioned place. Excellent service even I have only ordered an appetizer. The cauliflower turned out to be in a generous portion, not quite a light lunch as a thought. Beautiful place. Superb service. Enjoyed my solo lunch here in their cutest window seat.

I had a wonderful time. Service is top notch and lots of locals were eating there. I liked the cauliflower but the flounder wasn’t my thing. The Estonia sparkling wine was great! (They had this fish on mussels before and I hope they’ll bring it back.)

Wonderful local restaurant with daily changing menu & great wine selection. They even feature Estonian wine. Service was friendly & accommodating for English speakers. We really enjoyed some delicious wine on the comfy patio with some fun, fresh & creative shareable starters.
Melissa M — Google review
While the service was excellent and the restaurant was beautiful, the food was just average, but the seafood was particularly disappointing. The scallops were overcooked and rubbery, the tuna in sesame sauce had so much tough connective tissue that it wouldn't even be appropriate even if they were to finely chop it into tartare. We had to nibble around the gristle to get some actual tuna meat.F(No wonder they covered the tuna with endive!) Finally, the 1/3 of the clams and mussels in the seafood pasta were shut (inedible) - the chef is supposed to throw out the bivalves that didn't open prior to serving the dish. We also ordered the sirloin, the halibut, and the burrata salad. The only dish I would say we truly enjoyed was the burrata.

Booked a table beforehand. Dynamic menu - dishes may vary from day to day. Excellent service. Warm, welcoming and professional. Food what we ordered met all expectations. Make sure you ask what it is, and know what to expect to avoid surprises. Selection of NA wines available also. I have noticed Modernist Cuisine books on the bookshelf. Another good reason to come back and read a bit. Couple of photos added. Both were perfect dishes.

We had a reservation to ensure a table but on a Monday evening there were walk-ins. The restaurant has a nice contemporary look to it. The menu is written on a chalkboard and changes daily I'm told. We shared the white asparagus with hollandaise sauce and lardo. Delicious. My partner had the halibut with cauliflower and mussels. She said it was delicious. I had the ramps risotto with a poached egg. Also delicious! We shared the Basque cheesecake with rhubarb compote. Also delicious! I would go back to this restaurant again.

Anna O — Google review
We visited this small and cozy brunch place and were immediately impressed by the charming atmosphere and well-thought-out menu. The food was generally good, and there’s clear attention to quality in the kitchen. However, there were a few areas that could use improvement: - Staff Attitude: While the staff was polite, they appeared tired. A bit more enthusiasm and smiles would really enhance the guest experience. - Poached Eggs: A key brunch item like poached eggs should be done right. Unfortunately, ours were overcooked and more like hard-boiled, which takes away from the texture and flavor you expect from a poached egg. - Coffee Inconsistencies: We ordered three coffees, and each came at a noticeably different temperature. One was even returned because it was too cold. Consistency here is important—especially at brunch, where coffee is a centerpiece for many guests. - Some smoothies Unavailable: It was a bit disappointing to hear that some smoothies were already sold out on a Wednesday morning. That seems unusual and gave the impression that the place wasn’t fully prepared for the day. Despite these issues, we still had a generally positive experience. With a few small improvements, this could be an outstanding brunch spot. We look forward to giving it another try in the future.

The decor is eccentric and extravagant — think bold colors, quirky art. The owner who was present was quite eccentric as well, welcomed us and offered a seat right away. It was bit strange, but definitely made for an interesting setting. The french bulldog sculptures were a nice touch as well as the decoration on the ceiling. We ate shakshuka and the fried chicken belgian waffle combo. The shakshuka was nice, however nothing exceptional, similar of tomato/paprika stews eaten elsewhere. The poached egg was just right, runny on the inside. The chicken was a mixed experience. The waffles weren't exactly Belgian, but still sweet combined with a rather greasy chicken. The breading was the highlight and tasted nice. There was some pomegranate seeds and some sallad leaves too, which could have been a bit more. It was a bit too eccentric of a combination all in all. We got a latte and a chai latte for drinks. The latte was quite usual, nothing out of ordinary. The chai latte was the right sweetness to my taste, and as it is usually case could have done well with more spices, so a bit lacking in that department. The most pronounced limitation here was the price though. It all felt overpriced for what we actually got. The amount was okay, could have been a bit more for this price. The services was quite adequate, staffed by whom seemed to be student workers. They were all very nice and spoke English well, nothing amiss there. All in all not bad, a bit quirky and little weirder when it came to the atmosphere and the food was more of a mixed experience that needs a bit of a fine-tuning, and a bit lacking in the quantity. It would be a recommend had it not been for the price.

The food tasted good but the portion size was a joke and after paying 15-16€ for a main course plus having a drink for extra 5€ you still feel hungry then its not worth it My friends and i agreed that the portion size was very small and so its not a place we would come back to sadly

Big plus: the owner gave us local tips on where to go outside the old city. We followed his recommendations and so glad he didn’t gatekeep them. We went to less touristy areas that gave us a more local experience. Big thank you!

📍Really cute location 🍊 Orange juice was a big pour 🍅🥚shakshouka was underwhelming. Too watery, eggs could have been cooked a bit more, and was barely any tomato flavor. And there were berries in it for garnish - very odd combination. 🥖 Bread was toasted very nicely 💁‍♂️Service was fine
Joebar — Google review
Left with mixed feelings! The brunch selection was extensive, with a focus on egg-based dishes. However, the French toast was a bit disappointing as it didn't taste like the usual ones; it was supposed to come with berries, but there were only three in total. The burrito was average, but the Turkish egg was fresh and tasty. The fried chicken waffle was delicious. Unfortunately, the lemonade wasn’t good as well. Overall, prices were expensive than I thought. Different and unique interior but makes us confused. Also, there was morning DJ service, the music selection was not suitable for morning times, at least for me.

We love the place and the food! We also love that they are dog friendly. They brought treats and water. Great place, cozy, many things to see inside. Food arrived in less than 10 mins. We got Turkish eggs and the piggy burrito. Everything was so delicious. 😍 We couldn’t see them but looking at the photos, Pablo and Escobar are just so adorable 🐶10/10

T35 - The Breakfast Club is a popular spot in Kalamaja, Tallinn, known for its cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. This cafe offers a variety of breakfast options and is praised for serving the best matcha in the city. In addition to coffee, they also do their own baking. The place has become a favorite among locals and visitors alike, with its welcoming environment and delicious food.
Cozy cute place. Food was good. Frittata was bit too salty. The menu is mostly about breakfast. There were some bakeries also. Tasty coffees. If recommend booking on the weekend.

T35 is tucked away in a hip, up-and-coming area of Tallinn city centre. It’s a small and cozy restaurant with a welcoming interior and a friendly, professional service team that really makes you feel at ease. However, the real letdown for me was the Eggs Benedict. The menu promised a classic with hollandaise sauce, but what arrived was something entirely different (even though the look was promising)—a version of hollandaise I’ve never encountered before, and not in a good way. The flavours of the dish were completely off balance, making it unfortunately not enjoyable. Eggs Benedict is one of my all-time favourite brunch dishes, and I’ve had it hundreds of times around the world. This version was sadly below average in execution, and quite far from what the dish should be. On a brighter note, I also had a matcha latte, which was beautifully presented and enjoyable. And while the service was genuinely lovely, for me, great service alone isn’t enough to return. That said, if the hollandaise sauce and some other details get sorted out, I’d be happy to give T35 another try—because the ambience and hospitality definitely deserve a second chance.

We visited for a Sunday brunch. The atmosphere in this cafe is very cool and hip! I had a sourdough bread with scrambled eggs and bacon - simple choice and was alright. My partner had the same option but with avocado - unfortunately it was a complete disappointment, as it wasn’t an avocado but rather a guacamole sauce (and not sure if freshly made). Our friends had Eggs Bendict which tasted good! What was the worst in this place is the service - we asked for oatmilk cappuccinos but got the regular ones, the waiters don’t have basic communication skills either. Would encourage the restaurant owner to invest in people development :)

There is a pleasant vibe inside the cafe, discreet music, fast serving of food, but it is not possible to go inside with a baby carriage. I ordered Benedict eggs with prosciutto (ham). The presentation of the dishes looks impressive, but the taste of food loses something… For me the ham was too much salty and difficult to cut due to fibers. Also, bread was too much sweet. However, the blue latte was really perfect, soft and creamy 👌🏻

It was a pleasure to be 5 times in 4 days at the Orangerie in Tallinn. Great food and a friendly statt. Thank you very much for having such a good time at your restaurant.

The food was AMAZING. The young guy, who took our order, was really kind and polite. Avocado toast and the “English breakfast” was very tasty. Only one thing, we think the pricing could be better, either the food portion sizes stay the same and the price lowers or the portions get bigger and the price stays the same. After all the experience was great. Will come here next time! ☺️

A street side cafe at its best in welcoming atmosphere from the first moment you enter. A tropically green and lush for every senses. I have had great fresh juice here, green macha, classic french style cafe and all kinds of bakery.. maybe i just love the tropics and green so i feel great here among the smells of fresh oranges… curated surrounding with a music that adds a spice to this scenario, it feels something exiting is going to happen just now:))

La Boulangerie is a charming French bakery known for its freshly baked breads, delectable cakes, and delightful pastries. One of its unique features is the classical lever espresso machine called Vostok 1, acquired directly from a factory in Naples. The prices are on the higher side but the quality of their offerings is exceptional.
Delicious food, but service could be friendlier The food here is absolutely delightful — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Especially the pastries and brunch options are worth trying. However, the staff seemed a bit distant and not very welcoming, which slightly took away from the overall experience. A smile and a warmer attitude would have made this place truly exceptional. Still, I’d go back for the food alone!

A great place for backery and Coffee. Visited this place twice and the quality as well as the service is outstanding. Try out the croissant with salmon if you like fish. Glad i am not living in near distance, as i might end up as a diabetic patient due to the great sweet offerings. This place also offers a clean restroom.

Visited La Boulangerie on the morning of September 6th, 2025, for breakfast in Tallinn, Estonia after reading several good reviews. Was it delicious? Absolutely. Was it a nice experience overall? Surely. But, as with many places in the country, the breakfast portions were very small in my opinion, we even ordered pancakes afterward, which also came in a small size. Considering the prices and the fact that you end up feeling hungry again fairly soon, personally it’s not the best value at all! That said, the food itself was good, and I would still recommend it just mainly to those who don’t mind the smaller portions. For us, it was still a pleasant experience but not sure if I would personally come back.

Very busy cute bakery that would transport you to paris. Great quality ingredients, fresh pastries, delicious coffee (one of the best in Tallin), and really friendly staff who were very helpful in helping us choose what to order. It was so good we went for a second round after our lunch lol.
Thyma E — Google review
La Boulangerie is a lovely and cozy café located just a short walk from Tallinn city center and right next to Port Terminal D. It’s a great place to stop by for a cup of coffee, especially if you’re heading to or from a trip. There are always people inside, which speaks to its popularity. My wife and I are passionate coffee lovers and love trying coffee at different places. On our first visit, I ordered a cappuccino and my wife had a latte. The cappuccino had a rich taste, lovely aroma, and even a nice little coffee art on top. I genuinely enjoyed it. However, there’s only one available size — a rather small cup. I would happily pay extra for a larger portion because this one was gone in just a minute. It would be fantastic if they could introduce M, L, or XL size options. As for the latte — it tasted quite mild and more like a milk drink than coffee. The flavor wasn’t strong enough, in my opinion, likely due to the milk-to-coffee ratio. A more balanced taste would be appreciated here as well. The staff was absolutely lovely — polite, welcoming, and smiling. Huge thanks to them! The interior is cozy, stylish, and very comfortable. There’s also a selection of pastries, but during our second visit around 4:15 PM, most of them were already gone. We were told everything had been sold earlier, which is a good sign of how popular the place is. The second time, I ordered a Flat White and my wife had another latte. The Flat White was slightly acidic and didn’t impress me as much as the cappuccino. But that’s just a matter of personal taste. Overall, we had a positive experience and would love to come back. Our only major wish is to have the option of larger coffee sizes. At 4 euros per cup, it would be nice to enjoy a drink that lasts more than just a sip or two.
Mikkelsen — Google review
One of my most favorite bakeries in Tallinn 🏆 Pastry and cakes are always of a very high quality with the best taste possible! Brioche bread is so yummy it's hard to resist and not eat the whole in one day 😂 I also know that Crustum supports local charity projects, which makes me their loyal customer coming back again and again, because of the integrity and values they stand for. P. S. Place is often crowded, so if you want to sit down, don't come in the rush hours.
Viktoria M — Google review
Loved the orange juice which was very fresh. The vibe of the place was nice and it was quite busy with many people coming and going. The savoury croissant (tomato mozzarella) was really tasty with the pesto sauce. As for the pistachio roll, I wish the filling was slightly sweeter but this obviously depends on personal preferences.

We had such a lovely experience at Café Kringel! The vegan food was absolutely delicious, we stopped by for breakfast and lunch and were really impressed with the variety and flavor. Everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. We also grabbed a vegan tiramisu to go, and it was incredible, really creamy, rich, and perfectly balanced. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, and the overall vibe of the place was warm and relaxed. You can really feel the care they put into both the food and the atmosphere. Balti Jaama Turg, located in Tallinn's trendy Telliskivi district, is a renovated market hall spread across three levels. Since its reopening in 2017, the market has shed its previous reputation and now offers a wide array of goods including fresh produce, clothing, antiques, and local delicacies. Visitors can explore the largest farmers market in the city and sample seasonal delights such as strawberries during July.
Great market with 3 floors. Top floor is clothing, vintage and non-food stuff. 2nd floor is produce, deli, meats, cheese, fish and honeys and 1st floor is a grocery store, pharmacy, chocolate shop and a few other random shops. Each floor is great and contains a few shops that sell "this and that". Great experience. Highly recommend!

Do visit if you want to have some local experience at Tallinn. There are a lot of fresh fruits available. There are separate markets for fish and meat. It’s near to old town as well. You can reach by walk too. There are a lot of options to eat as well.

A place you really shouldn’t miss in Tallinn! This market absolutely belongs on every visitor’s to-do list. The ground floor is lined with many food stalls. The variety is big, the prices surprisingly affordable, and the aromas alone will make you want to try a bit of everything. Whether you’re in the mood for a quick snack or a little food adventure, there’s something for everyone here. But the real gem awaits upstairs: The second floor is a true paradise for anyone who loves second-hand treasures or flea market vibes. From colorful vintage clothes and old vinyl records to retro furniture and quirky curiosities m, you’ll find just about anything you can imagine. That’s what makes it so much fun to explore. If you’re searching for a special souvenir to bring home from Tallinn, you’ll definitely discover it here. Hidden among the stalls is always a little treasure waiting to be found. A lively, atmospheric market full of surprises, I can highly recommended!

Huge modern, clean, fascinating building that seems to have a perfect balance of everything and plenty to do 😍 Traditional antique stores jam-packed with so much history it feels like walking in museums ; well-organised vintage clothing stores, I bought some bargain clothing from Basaar; lovely market stalls displaying brightly-coloured fresh fruits, meats and many other groceries ; food stands offering all kinds of options, from local to foreign flavours etc. Thought I'd just drop by for a quick look, ended up spending 3 happy hours on a Sunday afternoon, definitely visit!!! 😚

Nestled in the vibrant Food Street of Viru Keskus, Paper Mill Coffee stands out as a must-visit destination for coffee lovers in Tallinn. This charming café is not just about aesthetics; it has earned its reputation as one of Estonia's premier roasters. Just a stone's throw from the bus station on Masina, this airy space offers an impressive selection of coffee beans, including local blends and guest options that are sure to delight your palate.
Exceptionally good coffee, even among high end roasters. The single origin espresso was perfectly balanced, smooth with a subtle chocolate orange acidity. The real star was the Peru Gesha pour over. These coffees are very difficult to prepare correctly and this was one of the best I've had in a while. It had an incredible floral top end and the body was light without being watery. 10/10 if you are visiting Tallinn it's worth a visit.

That’s undoubtedly one of the finest specialty cafes in Tallinn. They roast their coffee right there, and you can even buy their beans. Their cappuccino is simply delicious. They also have a variety of snacks available, but the cardamom bun is the best one, in my opinion.

1 | When it comes to coffee quality and café atmosphere, I’m pretty demanding. I’ve visited dozens of places, and not much impresses me anymore. Paper Mill, however, is excellent. The coffee had a bold flavor, the oat flat white was outstanding, and this café is truly top-tier. 2 | They offer a great selection of sweets to go with your coffee. During our visit, they had donuts, croissants, brownies, and savory options like focaccia on the counter. 3 | Prices match the high quality. Espresso, macchiato, and cortado are €3.80, cappuccino, latte, and flat white are €4.30, and a V60 costs €4.80. Information about the beans is available at the counter. An extra shot is €0.50, and oat milk is an additional €0.30. 4 | Card payments are accepted. 5 | There are plenty of tables, and it’s a good place to work on a laptop. Downstairs, there’s bar seating by the window with a nice view, while upstairs has larger tables, a quieter atmosphere, and a better setup for working. 6 | If you get a loyalty card and collect stamps, every seventh coffee is free.

Disappointing experience despite the urban-edgy, warehouse-style vibe. The café looks like it's trying to be a roastery-meets-industrial spot, but what matters most is the people and both baristas felt unfriendly and unempathic. The cappuccino itself was small, basic in taste, nothing special. When I accidentally spilled it (my own fault), there was no simple "are you okay?", no initiative, just a stack of thin paper towels. I don't expect a free replacement when it's my mistake, but I do expect at least some basic empathy. Expensive coffee for zero enjoyment, lesson learned, I know where not to return.

Dot Cafe is a favorite spot for locals, offering a calm atmosphere and an English menu. It's known for its simple Americano and convenient location. The cafe has a hipster industrial vibe with pristine white decor. Visitors can enjoy coffee, pastries like poppy and almond, as well as the popular Dot cafe toast made with sourdough bread.
We went there at a Friday afternoon and the place was pretty empty and quiet which was nice. The food came quickly and tasted delicious. The portions were big enough in my opinion. I especially enjoyed the iced matcha latte with vanilla syrup. I also liked the interior of the place.
Inessa — Google review
I've been a fan of Dot since its opening. The food is delicious, there are so many dishes that I like (dot toast, scrambled egg toast, shrimp toast, famous pancakes). Coffee is the best too, as it's Papermill (and you don't have to pay extra for decaf options). Great value for money. But there is one big BUT: you don't feel welcome there. The staff is not making any effort to be friendly (and clean tables fast), though they seem to enjoy their own team.
Ekaterina S — Google review
The place is decent, the food is very tasty, but the service leaves much to be desired — there are far too few waiters. The restroom was dirty, and the interior is rather spartan. But! Let me repeat: the breakfast is absolutely excellent! The coffee is strong and good, and the matcha is wonderful.

Quite enjoyed my tiramisu french toast (it’s exactly what it says) and ristretto in this small cozy cafe. Breakfast looked delish and tasted great. Tiramisu on toast was nice - airy and not overly sweet. They have a sensible selection of coffee and fresh-made pastries as well. Loved the fact that there is a section for laptop workers and a section where laptops are prohibited at peak hours. Service is at the till - friendly and they can recommend things.

Went there 2 years ago and today. Both times very good experience, thank you I wish they were asking in advance what coffee beans I prefer, rather than choosing them for me, but otherwise good The porridge is tasty and filling, the sandwich was good The matcha latte was milky, but in a nice way, the cappuccino and latte were nice too Thank you
Anja S — Google review
Maybe other dishes are ok, but Benedict egg with pancake was not tasty, as pancake was not cooked inside and the feeling was to eat raw dough. Other ingredients were good quality, tasty. Coffee decent.
Ieva T — Google review
Had a confusing experience this morning. Ordered 2 toasts with an extra poached egg each. The poached eggs arrived firmly hard boiled. My partner informed the person at the counter with a request to please fix this. We waited for another 10 minutes, before addressing again - apparently, the server thought it was a general feedback for future. Only then we got the replacement. This feels weird on many levels, not really sure how the chef allowed to serve this, why did we need to raise twice for a fix, and no one said a simple sorry. Otherwise food is tasty and decently priced for Tallinn but that was a fail.
Polina S — Google review
It was a very pleasant experience. However, they didn’t have brioche, which is in many meals we wanted to try.
