Restaurant
Restaurant F-Hoone is located in the Telliskivi creative city, a collection of old railway buildings near Tallinn's main station. The restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere with bare brick walls and traditional Estonian cuisine. It is housed in an industrial-looking warehouse with graffiti-ed exterior and moody lighting, adding to its unique charm. The area attracts a younger crowd and features creative studios, nightclubs, and unique businesses like a cycle shop that doubles as a bar.
Food was excellent! We were 6 and everybody was happy with one's orders. Music was a bit too laud for an old ear, but that's how it is. The young were happy. The building was a beautiful old industrial hall. But then for the best thing. Our waiter was first class! What speed and devotion. Beautiful work!

A cool place with a rustic atmosphere, plenty of seating area both inside and outside. We went there for dinner and were able to get a table without reservations, (although it might not be like this on weekends). The pizzas from their pizza menu were really tasty and when i asked to remove something from mine, they were open to customisation :).
Kerttu R — Google review
Fantastic food spot in Tallinn. First of all, the staff and the place deserve alone 5 stars. The lady that welcomed us managed to find us a table for 2 even if they were pretty full and the guy serving us was really friendly and helpful. About the place, it has an incredible urban vibe. From what I read, it was an old factory that is now transformed in this place. Really great vibe and great music too. In the 15 minutes wait for our table, we ordered the mint mocktail that was surprisingly really tasty. The food choices are really interesting. Originally we wanted to take one portion of dumplings and one of loaded fried but then, looking at the pizza menu, we ordered also a beetroot, green onions and goat cheese pizza. Generally we don't really like beetroot, but the flavour here was subtle and enjoyable. The pizza choices in general were really unique and loaded with toppings, making it also a nice value for money. About the taste, it was all really nice, just everything slightly salty, but not too much to ruin the taste. F-Hoone is absolutely suggested for a dinner out and try their pizza, they're tasty and with interesting toppings.

Visit to F-Hoone, Telliskivi tn 60a, 10412 Tallinn. The place is located in the Telliskivi area, known for its art and creative atmosphere. We managed to get one of the few tables that wasn’t occupied or reserved. My choice was easy – Pizza Nduja with extra chili. My son chose the smashed burger with sweet potato fries. Both the pizza and the burger were good, and the service was fast and friendly. A small minus for the poorly cut pizza. What wasn’t good, however, was the toilet – the door needed a lock.
Lasse T — Google review
Loved this artsy local cafe which had an eclectic menu, extensive drinks offering and beautiful terrace to enjoy the beautiful weather. Inside is large and has performance areas for music. Definitely recommend the loaded fries and the dumplings in mushroom cream sauce.
Melissa M — Google review
Excellent food and cool surroundings. Pretty decent service as well (went for an early lunch and it was fairly quiet). They have a decent beer and drinks selection and my wife enjoyed the virgin cocktails a lot.
Petteri J — Google review
Very cozy and original atmosphere, lots of tables but still feels intimate. The soup was tasty (a bit spicy), and I really liked the cauliflower. A very strange choice in the men’s restroom – open toilets.
Aurelija A — Google review
Food is delicious! It was fairly busy when we dined here, but service was still friendly and we didn't feel rushed. We were seated on a nice covered patio. We had some local beers and loaded fries for starters, the fries had lots of flavor and sauce. For our main course we had the crispy chicken on Belgian waffle, it was a perfect blend of salty and sweet! 👌

Cafe
Restaurant
Cafe Maiasmokk, a historic coffee house dating back to 1910, is a must-visit in Tallinn's Old Town. Its classic charm reminiscent of Vienna's coffee houses makes it an institution in the city. The cafe is famous for its hand-painted marzipan angels and adjoins a renowned chocolate shop that should not be missed.
Really liked the atmosphere and the vintage setting they have got going on. The menu was limited but there was a good selection of cakes. Service can get a little slow on rush hours or if there are a lot of tourists but otherwise it's calm and well maintained. Was good to see the history of the place still being respected. As far as the actual food goes, nothing really remarkable, but it was definitely delicious. Overall a visit worthy place
Vivek M — Google review
Visited Kohvik Maiasmokk, Tallinn's oldest café, established in 1864. The atmosphere is steeped in history, with a beautifully preserved interior that transports you back in time. The coffee, while a bit lighter than what I'm accustomed to, aligns with local preferences. It's smooth and pairs well with their selection of pastries. A unique feature is the Kalev Marzipan Museum Room, offering insights into the art of marzipan making and its history. If you're in Tallinn, Kohvik Maiasmokk offers a delightful blend of history and flavor, making it a must-visit spot.
SY — Google review
Fabulous place with fabulous atmosphere. The menu is pretty small, but there is everything what is needed. We took the breakfast and it was very healthy. Waiting time was around 20 min. They have marvelous pastries. Note that they have limited places to seat, you might wait to grab a seat. Highly recommended!
Jevgenijs V — Google review
The food here is really nice and tasty. The staff are super friendly and welcoming. Prices are reasonable for a tourist spot. The place feels cozy and comfortable, and the view is amazing, that is perfect for relaxing. Definitely worth a visit!
Alvin T — Google review
Too much crowded, but cozy. Better to serve ‏Marzipan in smaller and different sizes, they have only big classic one. Their kohv was good, liked my experience 🥰. They need more staff because they have many customers.
Maryam B — Google review
Very elegant cafe with excellent cakes, but there is almost never available place to sit down. My favourite - curd dessert with berries.
Paula V — Google review
A Sweet Slice of History in Tallinn I had the pleasure of visiting Café Maiasmokk during my trip to Tallinn, and it truly felt like stepping back in time. The atmosphere is cozy and elegant, with beautiful historic décor that makes you want to linger. I ordered a slice of cake, and it was simply delicious—light, fresh, and full of flavor. The real star for me, though, was the cappuccino: rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. It might honestly be one of the best I’ve ever had! If you’re exploring the Old Town, don’t miss this gem. Great desserts, fantastic coffee, and a charming setting that makes the experience unforgettable.
Maria C — Google review
The lovely lady at the cashier is so nice.. the café is Help surface you ordered at the counter and then you collect your order and seat yourself. The dessert is good a coffee not bad. However, I will repeat the experience because of the nice lady at the cashier who was patient, welcoming and helpful

Restaurant
Restoran Olde Hansa in Tallinn offers a unique dining experience that takes visitors back to the medieval era. The restaurant's ambiance is set with candlelit tables, tapestry-filled walls, and live traditional music played on instruments like loots. The menu features Baltic delicacies such as sauerkraut and game sausages made from bear, wild boar, and elk.
First of all - come hungry. No, seriously, skip lunch. And maybe even breakfast. We had the feast for 2 and those three courses were more than enough food - and my wife and I are hearty eaters. The quality of the food was excellent - and we can tell, because one of our hobbies is medieval role play and so we've had many expertly prepared feasts in the last 20 or so years. But be warned - they used different spices in medieval times and while many dishes may look familiar, the taste can be special. But for us, everything was just delicious. The service was great, too. It started by a servant washing our hands and every piece of the meal was later explained in great detail. You can also order as much of everything as you want, if you run out of something (which happens to us with the wonderful dark bread ...). The atmosphere is very cozy - the only light sources are candles on the tables. It can be tricky to read the menu (to decide which beer or wine to have), because the room is only very dimly lit. The whole experience is not cheap - feast for 2 people, with drinks and tip was 160 Euro. But it was worth every cent.
Axel T — Google review
Definitely a wonderful experience, but do not count on the food as a meal for the day especially if your from the Arab region. We ordered the deer dish to share just to be cautious and we never finished it! I recommend coming in just for the experience and maybe try something out of curiosity but don’t count on the food flavors too much. The bathrooms were absolutely terrible and overall I believe the place could be maintained better than its current status (unless its part of the intended atmosphere) The staff were the highlight of the experience, they are so into character with their gestures, language, and overall spirit. Would not come back again but would recommend visiting at least once.
Thyma E — Google review
Even though this looks like a textbook tourist trap, and the dishes are rather expensive, this was an overall good experience for me. The restaurant looks interesting, and the waiter was pleasent and quick. I ordered a meat tasting plate (as it was one of the rare cheaper options), and was surprised at how tasty it was. I really enjoyed it. The downside is that if you are very hungry and also short on money, this place is better to be avoided as the full course for lunch would cost a fortune.
Ji J — Google review
This is my dream restaurant. It's fully lit by candles and has a medieval theme. It's super spacious - 3 levels. Attention to detail is well appreciated. The bathrooms especially! At first I couldn't find the toilet paper and soap! 🤣 Yes it's slightly pricey but worth it in my opinion. Staff are incredible ! After all, this is a whole experience in itself. Best birthday feast ever.
Dorian R — Google review
This restaurant offers a delightful setting reminiscent of bygone eras, and the cuisine similarly reflects traditional practices. While the food may present a different flavor profile than what we, as Asians, are typically accustomed to, it is not necessarily a negative reflection, simply a distinct experience. The true highlights are undoubtedly the restaurant's ambiance and the staff, who are elegantly attired in traditional clothing.
Tony C — Google review
An unforgettable, immersive medieval dining experience! The moment you enter, the middle-age atmosphere is palpable and truly impressive. It's not just the decorations; the food taste also contributes significantly to the feeling. I highly recommend the tender deer fillet, the distinct honey beer, and the hearty dark bread. Although the cuisine isn't Michelin-level perfection, it absolutely nails the authenticity of the medieval theme. The service was phenomenal. Waiters and waitresses in traditional clothes were always helpful, patiently introducing the menu, and making personalized recommendations as if they were dining with you. P.S. A special shout-out to the unique design of the men's room—worth a peek! 🤣
Jorvik Z — Google review
We loved this restaurant! Fresh mushroom soup, fresh bread and Glögi (hot spiced wine) Delicious! The staff were outstanding, fun and personable. The period clothing and the medieval atmosphere were intriguing. Definitely stop in when you're are in Old Town Tallinn.
Postcards S — Google review
The main thing about this restaurant is the old world charm. They have created a great experience with retaining the decor, the food to follow and good service. However, since Tallin is mainly catering to tourists, this was the only place during our trip to Finland-Tallin, the server asked us for a tip. Food is overpriced for sure, but I suppose if you are looking to experience something different and eat some unique meat like deer and bear, this is the place to visit

Barbecue restaurant
Restaurant
Põhjala Brewery & Tap Room is a renowned Estonian beer brand with a prominent presence in Tallinn. The brewery, located near the coast in Kalamaja, offers a wide selection of 24 own-brewed beers on tap and features a kitchen serving delectable Texan BBQ. Housed in a converted shipyard building, this establishment provides an exceptional blend of craft beer and culinary delights curated by Chef Michael Jiro Holman.
A great and interesting place for beer lovers. The brewery is located in the same building and supplies many pubs across Estonia. There’s a wide selection of alternative beer types, but we stuck to the standard lager – 0.4 liters at reasonable prices. They also serve food! Thumbs up!
Lasse T — Google review
We went there for lunch and had a great time. The taproom and store was really clean and modern. It was a hot day so they opened up all the windows and even set up some portable fans to make it cooler. The store, with beer and merchandise is great. We ate the vegan burger and loved it! Mustard and pickles were in full focus and we loved the selection of six different sauces! The menu suggests which beer works well with the food and I ordered my beer based on that. Great choice - a pale ale worked all in the heat. Unfortunately despite lots of staff seemingly working the service was slow and there was only one person working behind the bar for the first 30 minutes despite people waiting around. When service got going it was much better. The waiter staff helped us with our four year old’s food request and they were nice enough. Definitely worth a visit. Great food, great beer and great atmosphere.
Scott — Google review
This spot offered an excellent beer tasting experience with a wide variety of choices. I enjoyed sampling a great selection of brews, each with its own distinct flavor profile. To accompany the drinks, there was a hearty and flavorful sausage—robust and satisfying. The only downside was that it leaned toward the pricier side, but overall, it was a solid and memorable experience for beer lovers.
Gerwin E — Google review
Fantastic beers and impressive food to go with it. If your a keen craft beer drinker and find yourself wandering around Tallinn you must drop by. Especially if the suns out a have a beer on their balcony.
Andrew — Google review
Had a fantastic lunch here with the family. Had a tasting paddle and every beer was absolutely fantastic, the red lager and red ale were standouts. They have a smoker on site for delicious smoked meats and all the food was delicious. Great friendly atmosphere and staff were great.
Ben C — Google review
We had really good time here! The food was good and I did enjoy especially the brisket and ribs from the grill. Of course the beers are excellent and there are plenty of different options. Only thing I was missing was some passion from the staff and some sparkling in their eyes- like the taproom is something you should be proud of! I felt the service was a bit lazy, we didnt got any recommendations even after asking.
Arttu S — Google review
Taproom upstairs has a nice open casual feel, and is great for groups or individuals. With 24 beers on tap (and more bottled beer, cider, wine, and spirits if the taps aren't your thing), there's truly something for everyone. I did a taster flight (5 picks for ~€18), and picked a range spanning their sour, IPA, hazy, wheat and stout. Have some creative and unusual combos (e.g., truffle stout). The Cocobanger was a personal favorite (12.5% ABV, so good as a taster portion for me!), with a great mix of coconut and coffee notes. FYI, food menu on Sundays differs from the traditional BBQ menu during the week.

Incredible beer selection brewed on site. The very best brisket. Delicious sauces and sides. Relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Vegan restaurant
Vegan Restoran V is a popular vegan restaurant in Tallinn, known for its small size and difficulty in getting a table. The menu offers a variety of vegan dishes, with options for gluten-free and wheat-free diets clearly marked. Some recommended dishes include the tofu and quinoa burrito in mango sauce and the beetroot ravioli with cashew cheese. The restaurant also offers snack platters with grilled tofu and vegan cheese to share.
Found this jewel by pure chance whilst wandering the streets of the old town. We had luck - since we had no reservations - to get the last table inside. Very nice raw interior and warmth. The place seems to be backed each evening so reservations are strongly recommended. The staff is extremely friendly and ready to explain each dish and provide recommendations if needed. But of course the food plays the main part. And it plays it exceptionally well. Absolutely delicious food - and completely vegan. We had the cashew curry and the breaded "chicken" (mushroom based protein). Both dishes were outstanding and we cleared the plates aided by some home made bread (to die for!!). To sweeten the afternoon we had an orange-lemon ice cake (yum!) and a Dubai chocolate inspired mousse. Wholeheartedly recommended!
Filip S — Google review
A good place to escape the meat-heavy Estonian cuisine. Very tasty dishes at a reasonable price. However, the menu is exactly the same as last year, so a bit of variety would be good here. But the restaurant is mostly frequented by tourists who perhaps only eat here once. It must be very boring for the kitchen though... The service is professional, but not as warm as on our first visit.
D. G — Google review
This place deserves a 5 star with all of the stars! Great food and attention to detail! The waiter were really kind and the food was exceptional! Had organic wine and also Amazon appetizers! The chicken schnitzel was a good one

In August 2025, I traveled to 5 countries with my vegan friend, and we discovered some amazing places! Although I'm not vegan, I'm quite open-minded. This was definitely one of the top spots in Tallinn! It's essential to make a reservation, but the food was absolutely worth it!
Tara B — Google review
Top restaurant in the old town! Dishes were heavenly! Loved the beetroot ravioli, black bread served with it, skewers and dubai chocolate pistachio ball dessert. Service was lovely too. It is a popular place so make sure you reserve (online avail) in advance during peak times!
Priya C — Google review
Probably the best meal we had in Tallinn. We noticed it was very hard to get a table, went a few times and always full, but when we finally were lucky enough to get a table, totally worth the wait. Do yourself a favor and go there, but make a reservation if you can. Service was great. They also had a great selection of nonalcoholic and alcoholic drinks, many of them local. You won’t be disappointed.
Kevin F — Google review
In Estonia the selection of vegan/vegetarian options is limited in general, that’s the reason why this restaurant was an absolute delight! The food is absolutely delicious, well prepared and the options are really wide-ranged. We all had a great time dining there, the waitresses were super nice and charming. The restaurant itself is so aesthetic, the old architecture is well preserved and with the interior design they created such a beautiful and cozy atmosphere. 10/10 experience 🤭 However a reservation is urgently needed!
QM H — Google review
I had read the reviews and had high expectations but they were exceeded! The restaurant is beautiful and romantic, the staff friendly and highly professional, the food delicious. The curry is the best I have ever had in my life and the bread so good, I had to buy it and bring it back to Italy. The place is quite small, do remember to make a reservation, you do not wanna miss the opportunity to eat here!

Tuljak is a renowned restaurant located in Estonia, offering a diverse culinary experience that combines classic Estonian dishes with international favorites. The restaurant is housed in a beautifully restored piece of modernist Estonian architecture, originally designed by influential architect Valve Pormeister in 1964. After undergoing meticulous restoration and recognized by the National Heritage Board, Tuljak was reborn as a dining establishment in 2015.
Food was amazing, diverse and well-priced. Service was good, but we visited during slow Easter hours so difficult to review how service is during busier hours. The building is beautiful with a good view of the sea. Highly recommend visiting.

Very high class restaurant with beautiful sunset wiew. Food was excellent, tasty and well presented on plate. Service top class and friendly. Go here If you want to eat fresh and tasty dishes.
Kari S — Google review
We went to Tuljak for our anniversary dinner and honestly, it couldn’t have been better. The vibe was super cozy, perfect for the occasion. The service was top-notch. our waiter really knew the menu and even suggested wine pairings that worked perfectly. We started with bread and butter plus shrimp, which already set the bar high. For mains, we had the sea bass and a filet mignon. the steak especially was insanely good, hats off to the chefs. Everything felt really well-prepared and flavorful. Overall, it was such an amazing evening. I’d 100% recommend Tuljak to anyone looking for great food and a warm atmosphere. Definitely coming back!
Mina F — Google review
Tuljak was one of the dining highlights of Tallinn. The restaurant combined a stylish setting with very polished food and service. Kristian, the waiter who looked after us, was outstanding — attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely engaged, which lifted the whole experience. The beef dumplings were rich and perfectly cooked, the burrata and tomato salad was fresh and balanced, and the bread basket was served warm with excellent texture along the butter & meat. Each dish had been prepared with clear care, and the pacing of the meal was handled with precision. The restaurant itself had a refined but comfortable atmosphere, with design that matched the quality of the food. Loved their lamb dumplings! Tuljak showed itself as a place where both the kitchen and the floor staff were aligned to deliver at a high standard. It was one of the meals from the trip that deserves to be remembered as a complete experience. Considering that I live between Dubai & Copenhagen, I found the prices to be VERY reasonable. I however, respect that locally the view isn’t necessarily that.

I spent quite some time thinking about where to invite my colleague from Asia, Tallinn has many great restaurants to choose from. In the end, I decided on Tuljak, and it turned out to be the perfect choice: a magnificent view of the sea, an ideal spot to watch the sunset, excellent service, and a menu full of interesting dishes. We started with Heeringas and Tartar Tuljak, and both were outstanding. The tartare is honestly one of the best in the city. For the main course, I tried the lamb dumplings — very tasty with a subtle smoky note that made them special. And of course, no visit to Estonia is complete without traditional black bread, which was served here as well and Vana Tallinn at the end. Highly recommended!

I would give ten stars if it would be possible! We popped in during our sons floorball tournament, hungry and not dressed up well and without reservation🙈Welcoming was despite all of this so warm and polite and we managed to get a table. Our waiter (Johannes maybe) was superpolite and still easygoing and made us feel like home. Foods were all delicious and little pieces of art, so good! Definitely will visit this place again with better time❤️Thank you❤️

Visited in Sep 2025 What a fantastic decision it was to have my first meal in Tallinn at Tuljak. The food menu is an a-la-carte one with a set of starters, main courses and desserts. Since I was quite hungry, I ordered a couple of staters (Tuljak Tartare, Herring), one main course (Lamb Dumplings), and one dessert (Bird Nest). The quality of the ingredients, the preparation, and the presentation of the dishes was brilliant. Service was fine. Would 100% recommend visiting this restaurant if you’re in Tallinn.

When you visit Tallinn, definetly visit Tuljak. (Usually needs a booking). This Michelin red star restaurant has amazing sea view and summer terrace and offers Estonian food with modern twist. The favourites were herring (very interesting approach), bread and ham plate, califlower and eclaire (not in menu but offered). The minus - no kids room and kids were not really allowed to hang around, which might be a challange with smaller kids.

Nestled in the historic Rotermann Quarter of Tallinn, RØST Bakery is housed in a former flour mill and offers a delectable array of Scandinavian-inspired breads and pastries. Teaming up with renowned local and European roasters, the café presents an exceptional coffee program. Early visits are recommended as their popular pastries tend to sell out quickly. Renowned for its inviting ambiance and top-notch design, this charming spot is beloved by locals and tourists alike.
Excellent bakery. All the pastries and sandwiches taste exceptionally well. Coffee is great, too. Very friendly staff. Get super crowded quite quickly, so get there early.
Mathias B — Google review
Small bakery that had a lovely scent when I walked it. The pastry was being baked so there was a delicious smell of the baked good. I had a delicious cardamon bun that was juicy and sticky. The espresso was strong and bitter and to my liking. I was not that impressed with the croissant as that did not feel freshly baked and hence it was not that crispy on the outside. All in all, a great place to stop by for a coffee and some sweet pastry before you continue exploring the town.
Gard K — Google review
Rost is, in my opinion, one of the most famous bakeries in Tallinn, Estonia. On our last early morning in the city, we wanted some coffee and sweet snacks before hitting the road and were amazed to see a queue already forming. There were at least a dozen people waiting to get in, while the staff inside were busy preparing for opening but the line moved quickly. Once inside, we enjoyed our drinks and pastries on the comfortable benches outside. Everything tasted absolutely amazing, and I especially recommend the fresh morning croissant with ham and cheese. A perfect way to start the day in Tallinn!!

Everything about this bakery is exceptional, aside from how it's quite small and very busy! But that's speaks to how good it is. All the pastries are made on site. The cinnamon bun is the best I have ever tasted. The correct is also really good. I wish there could be bakeries like this in the UK

The tuna sandwich was a solid 10/10 (the bread is just incredible). The oat cappuccino was also perfect, definitely another 10/10! I visited around 11am and it was quite busy, but we still managed to grab a table outside and enjoy the Rotermann views. If you’re in the area, it’s definitely worth a stop! 🙌🏼
Bruna B — Google review
You are drawn to this place by the lovely smell of freshly backed buns. We opted for the cinnamon, gooseberry, and cardamom buns - each as good as the other! There is always a queue but the service is swift. Tried their coffee a couple of times, but wasn’t for me as too bitter.
Kool M — Google review
I had the pain au chocolat and the cinnamon pastry (kaneelisai). Best pain au chocolat I’ve had. Not an excessive amount of butter was used and you don’t feel heavy after eating. My friend ordered the one with cardamom and he enjoyed it a lot. Friendly staff lovely ambiance.

Came here around 9:40am,there were like 20 people queued up. Went back an hour later, finally managed to get in. The cardamon bun was ok but i had a higher expectation due to the hype.If it was reheated,it should taste better. The smell is great and you can smell it even in the alley before you see the bakery. The flat white was unexpectedly good.

Flea market
Balti Jaama Turg, located in Tallinn's trendy Telliskivi district, is a renovated market hall spread across three levels. Since its reopening in 2017, the market has shed its previous reputation and now offers a wide array of goods including fresh produce, clothing, antiques, and local delicacies. Visitors can explore the largest farmers market in the city and sample seasonal delights such as strawberries during July.
Great market with 3 floors. Top floor is clothing, vintage and non-food stuff. 2nd floor is produce, deli, meats, cheese, fish and honeys and 1st floor is a grocery store, pharmacy, chocolate shop and a few other random shops. Each floor is great and contains a few shops that sell "this and that". Great experience. Highly recommend!

Do visit if you want to have some local experience at Tallinn. There are a lot of fresh fruits available. There are separate markets for fish and meat. It’s near to old town as well. You can reach by walk too. There are a lot of options to eat as well.

A place you really shouldn’t miss in Tallinn! This market absolutely belongs on every visitor’s to-do list. The ground floor is lined with many food stalls. The variety is big, the prices surprisingly affordable, and the aromas alone will make you want to try a bit of everything. Whether you’re in the mood for a quick snack or a little food adventure, there’s something for everyone here. But the real gem awaits upstairs: The second floor is a true paradise for anyone who loves second-hand treasures or flea market vibes. From colorful vintage clothes and old vinyl records to retro furniture and quirky curiosities m, you’ll find just about anything you can imagine. That’s what makes it so much fun to explore. If you’re searching for a special souvenir to bring home from Tallinn, you’ll definitely discover it here. Hidden among the stalls is always a little treasure waiting to be found. A lively, atmospheric market full of surprises, I can highly recommended!

Huge modern, clean, fascinating building that seems to have a perfect balance of everything and plenty to do 😍 Traditional antique stores jam-packed with so much history it feels like walking in museums ; well-organised vintage clothing stores, I bought some bargain clothing from Basaar; lovely market stalls displaying brightly-coloured fresh fruits, meats and many other groceries ; food stands offering all kinds of options, from local to foreign flavours etc. Thought I'd just drop by for a quick look, ended up spending 3 happy hours on a Sunday afternoon, definitely visit!!! 😚

III Draakon, a medieval theme bar located in the historic Town Hall of Tallinn, offers an elaborate theatrical experience. The dark candlelit stone wall cellar is staffed by waitresses in medieval costume who serve tankards of ale and traditional Estonian schnapps along with elk soup, pies, and jerky. Guests can even fish for pickled gherkins from a large barrel.
That was amazing experience. Counter is a humorous and interested woman. Order is wonderful tour if you don’t know which you want to eat, and even when you chose your food already, getting pickle is totally adventure for me.
Haruca P — Google review
I give 5 stars for the atmosphere and the team members there are in the character of a middle age tavern. I tried the cabbage pastry, it's amazing, some other customers loved the elk soup, but I found it a bit salty, overall still 5 stars for the experience. If you are not too keen on the food, I guess you can just order a beer to soak in the atmosphere.
C — Google review
Tucked away in the heart of Tallinn’s Old Town, III Draagon is a truly unique dining experience that takes you back to the Middle Ages. The moment you step inside, you’re transported into a medieval tavern — dimly lit rooms, rustic wooden tables, and servers dressed in authentic medieval costumes. The atmosphere feels both cozy and mysterious, as if you’ve stepped into a different century. The restaurant offers a small but memorable menu. One of the highlights is their bone soup, a rich and flavorful broth filled with lentils, carrots, and pieces of bone marrow. It’s not only delicious but also fun to eat — or rather, drink — since it’s served in a clay bowl without a spoon, so you sip it directly, just like in the old days. The portion is generous, and for just 5 euros, it’s an excellent value. To accompany your meal, you can enjoy a pint of beer for 7 euros, along with freshly baked bread. There are two cozy rooms inside, each with 4–5 tables, and four outdoor tables that can seat around 20 people. The ambiance is peaceful, especially in the evening when the lights are low. The tavern also provides separate restrooms for men and women; they’re free for guests, but there’s a small fee (€1) for outsiders. Payments can be made in cash or by card. Overall, III Draagon is a must-visit for tourists seeking an authentic and entertaining medieval experience in Tallinn. It’s not just a meal — it’s a journey through time.
Anton N — Google review
The restaurant is small, decorated in a nice medieval style, in the main square of the town. You must know that entering the restaurant you are going to roleplay a tiny bit of medieval life, being in a tavern after a long trip on your horse. The lady plays a very good role, speaks perfect english, and feels like she is a maid of another era, kudos to her. The ox rib is amazing: soft meat on a big bone. If you love meat, take that and it will be enough as a meal. The ambiet is really nice: dim lights with real candles. You can even catch your own pickle from a barrel by stabbing it with a wooden stick, pretty fun! Whoever does not understand the roleplay should not post bad reviews. The waitress is not rude, she is playing a role, and very fun to talk with if you roleplay back! The medieval style is all around the city, many other vendors dress like old fashion times.
Valerio C — Google review
Amazing, authentic place – right in the heart of the old town! Everything is arranged in such an original way – the dishes, the waitresses, everything! The food is delicious, and you eat without any cutlery! You even have to bring your dishes back yourself. A really fun part – you get to fish out your own pickled cucumber from a barrel! In short, 10 out of 10 for the experience!
Aurelija A — Google review
We visited III Draakon while exploring Tallinn’s Old Town and it honestly felt like stepping back in time. The little tavern is cosy and atmospheric with flickering candles, wooden mugs and staff dressed in medieval style. We ordered the famous elk soup which was hearty and full of flavour, just perfect for a cool day. We also tried the Ox sausages and the Ox rib steak and both were delicious. Since I do not eat pork I asked about the ingredients and the staff kindly checked everything for me to make sure it was suitable. Their attentiveness really made me feel welcome. Overall it was a memorable stop with authentic Estonian flavours at a very reasonable price. I would recommend III Draakon to anyone visiting Tallinn who wants to try something traditional in a unique setting.
Sonia S — Google review
Paid €20 for a small bowl of pickled veggies and minced meat that had clearly been pre-packed and just squeezed into the bowl after ordering. I'm definitely paying for the medieval vibes here rather than the food itself 🤣
Mingchen L — Google review
Location: convenient location right inside the town hall, in the old town of Tallinn. Inside the medical decor is very detailed and lets the eye go around and get lost in time. I personally appreciated details such as the pickles being in a big barrel as part of the scenery. Menu: slightly confusing menu when ordering (maybe due to the lack of English everywhere). You order at the counter and the staff is very happy to suggest. We had the wild boar with cabbage, pig tail (very recommended), the deer pie and the dark beer. Service: the staff at the counter was very in character, making you feel you stepped into a medieval age tavern. For the complete experience, remember to ask for a coke. Other than that there is not really a service and you have to bring your own food to the table and bring back the cutlery at the end (but this is part of the experience) Cost: the boat with cabbage was a bit pricey considered the portion provided, the rest we felt was correctly priced considering the location and the experience overall.

The restaurant offers almost thirty different variations of pancakes, making it a perfect budget-friendly brunch destination.
This place is phenomenal and I highly recommend it to all who visit Tallinn! Their blini / pancakes are large and delicious, and their ciders are also really good. I ordered the blini with cold smoked salmon and cheese and loved every bite. I would definitely return to this restaurant many times!

Pancake was flavorful, soups were nice as well. We arrived at 16:45 and waited about 5m to get a table. After that hour, it's pretty crowded with a long line. Price of pancake is just ~7euro, it's huge, enough for two.

A legendary pancake place where there’s almost always a queue. We waited about 10 minutes to get in (visited at 8:30 PM, they close at 10 PM). We ordered: smoked salmon pancake perfect, my personal favorite; chicken in cream sauce pancake not for everyone, a bit dry for my taste; ham with cheese sauce pancake; beef with pickles pancake - delicious if you like pulled boiled meat; sweet pancake with strawberries and ice cream top choice, tender and well-balanced; sweet pancake with cherries and vanilla sauce - a bit unusual because of the coconut flakes (I’d skip them), but my friends loved it. Portions are huge and generously filled — one pancake can easily be shared by two. The staff speaks multiple languages, and Milan was friendly and attentive.

I recommend trying the pancake with beef, pickles and cream cheese. That one was really tasty. The one with smoked chicken and feta cheese was unfortunately not our cup of tea. Restaurant Pegasus is a stylish and vintage eatery that has been open since 1962, exuding Cold-War-era charm with its porthole windows, shagadelic dining chairs, and Anglepoise ceiling lamps. The menu offers modern dishes like spicy cauliflower with cashew cream and pickled kumquat. It is a vegetarian-friendly spot located in Old Town, known for its patio seating and prime people-watching.
We had no reservation for a party of 5 and were brought right in during a busy dinner hour. Carolin R was an amazing waitress to my family. Our last lunch in Tallinn and this restaurant was recommend to us, there was no wait for a table & we were given a table on the second floor by the window with a fantastic view. The menu choices are limited but this is no doubt deliberate, as all the produce tasted very fresh. All the side dishes were amazing and highly recommend. We came to Tallinn on a whim for the Midsummer weekend, and unbeknownst to us it was also graduation week. Even though it was a busy Friday night, the hostess at Pegasus took us as a walk-in and sat us immediately. The patio is right on a lively main walking street and made for great dog-watching :) Our server, Artur, was a friendly young gentleman — knowledgeable about the menu and able to make a few great recommendations. He worked the room like a pro and we were quite impressed when he mentioned it was his first week at the restaurant. The food was superb. We had a bunch of appetizers, the whipped feta and tartare were real standouts. All the flavors were so well thought out, completely balanced — nothing out of place. The basque cheesecake had a delicious pistachio sorbet with lots of seeds for a little crunch, as well as a tart cherry compote and espresso foam. Again, so well thought out. A perfect dessert. Overall, our visit to Pegasus was 10/10 and we will definitely be back!

We searched about this restaurant at the last minute for our dinner in Tallinn. Turned out this restaurant served the best duck ever I have eaten. The atmosphere was cosy. Rachel L — Google review
Dining at Farm is nothing short of remarkable – an experience that confidently holds its own against Michelin-starred restaurants, yet at a refreshingly accessible price. The evening began with starters that immediately set the tone: the beef tartare and whitefish were exemplary in execution. The tartare was clean yet layered, with every bite revealing depth and balance. The whitefish starter impressed with its subtle freshness, lifted by precisely judged acidity that brightened rather than dominated. Both showcased not only technical mastery but also the beauty of Estonia’s own produce, which shines through every plate. The main courses maintained this high standard. The lamb rump steak was cooked with precision, its natural flavor elevated without being overshadowed. The quail stood out as a highlight of the evening – tender, elegantly plated, and paired with corn so inventive and texturally satisfying that it became a dish of its own. Plating throughout was thoughtful and refined, never fussy, letting the ingredients speak with clarity. Dessert was the only slight misstep: a lemon sorbet that leaned too far into sweetness. Its creamy consistency suggested a deliberate balance, but in the process the delicate dandelion syrup was sadly lost. What made the experience even more impressive: everything was prepared gluten-free, without compromise in texture, flavor, or presentation. The open view into the kitchen added another layer of delight – watching the calm precision of the team at work gave a glimpse into the craft behind the plates. Service was friendly and attentive, though less formal than what fine dining often demands in other countries. This may simply reflect Estonia’s more relaxed style of hospitality, but it’s worth noting for those expecting a highly polished service experience. Tips were collected via QR code, with the assurance that part of it goes to the kitchen – something I sincerely hope is indeed the case, as the team behind these dishes fully deserves it. If there was one small atmospheric detail missing, it would be cloth napkins to fully match the sophistication of the cuisine. Beyond that, Farm offers a dining experience of rare caliber – balanced, confident, rooted in local flavors, and unforgettable.

The restaurant prides itself on reimagining classic dishes with finesse, focusing on freshness and simplicity to attract an astute clientele. I first visited Restaurant Moon about 10 years ago. I keep coming back, whenever in Tallinn. The food & drink selection, atmosphere and service are all superb. They have a wide variety of wines. Recently had another amazing experience, in their new location, which is really impressive. Blinis were excellent. The “Almost Pavlova” dessert is definitely amongst the best desserts I’ve ever had!

A really lovely restaurant, we loved the design and ambience. We came for lunch, but a big lunch. Started with the bread, pickles, and potato cakes with mushroom tartar. All delicious! Perfect flavors and great aesthetics. We had dumplings and chicken Kiev for lunch. Wow! Both were excellent choices. And I appreciate the appropriate portion (others might complain too small). For dessert we tried pavlova and strawberry. Both were light, not too sweet...delicate. Delicious! Besides waiting a while for our check, everything was fast. We had a good experience, paid a fair price, and highly recommend a meal here.

I visited this restaurant twice during my stay in Tallinn, and both experiences were wonderful! The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made me feel right at home. I came once for lunch and once for dinner, and I loved how the atmosphere felt completely different each time—both equally enjoyable in their own way. For food, I tried the beetroot soup, which was fresh, flavorful, and definitely worth ordering. The salmon I had was delicious and surprisingly light, while the chicken Kiev on my second visit was rich and very tasty—though quite filling, so I’d suggest pairing it with a lighter starter. Overall, I highly recommend this place—great food, warm service, and a lovely atmosphere!

Amazing place with modern industrial decoration. Food is just amazing for the 3 tapas dishes I tasted, I went there in the Middle of the afternoon so no issue to have seats but it must bé crowded during meal times. I really enjoyed the Siberian Dumpling and Salo, so typical. Price is quite liké other touristy places of Tallinn but food is much better and original

Really enjoyed our lamb entree and Siberian dumplings for a quiet date night at Moon. The space is warm and welcoming, both with high ceilings and historical charm. But, and I don’t know how else to put it, the atmosphere was ruined by a 15 person bacherlorette party that took an endless amount of photos for the entire dinner, posing in different places and taking up all of the space. Not quite what I expected, nor wanted, out of a high end Michelin experience.

I really liked it despite the portions not being too big. We tried Akroshka (more cold beetroot soup rather than what I was expecting from my childhood), Siberian Dumplings and Roast Lamb were all delicious. I’m not sure I’d go back, but would recommend to try at least once when in Tallinn

Moon Restaurant has found a new home in Telliskivi, and what a refreshing change it is. I used to visit the “old” Moon quite regularly, though I have to admit that on my last visit, it felt a bit tired. That’s why I’m genuinely excited to say that the new Moon feels completely revived—and I loved it. Tucked slightly away from the main Telliskivi food court, it feels like a hidden gem just around the corner. From the outside, it looks peaceful and quiet, so when we spontaneously decided to stop by, we assumed it would be calm inside too. But holy moly—inside, it was buzzing with life! We were lucky to get a table only because someone had just cancelled their reservation. We tried several dishes and every single one impressed us. You can feel that the chef is re-energised and in a great creative space. The food was balanced, fresh, flavoursome, and honest, and the pricing is very fair. The new space is full of natural light, with high ceilings and stylish design—a real pleasure to be in. The service was friendly, not perfect, but overall positive—and honestly, the food and atmosphere more than made up for it. I was so pleased with the experience that I made another reservation on the spot while still enjoying dessert. I’m truly happy to see such a strong comeback for Moon in a new location. Tallinn is lucky to have it—and I wish them many more successful years ahead.

Pierre Chocolaterie, located in the Old Town of Tallinn since 2003, offers a cozy and inviting ambiance. Tucked away in the courtyard of master craftsmen on Vene Street, this cafe allures visitors with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and homemade chocolate. The historic setting of the Masters Courtyard adds to its charm, making it a must-visit for dessert-lovers and chocolate enthusiasts.
I dropped by this place on the recommendation of our tour guide following a walking tour of Tallinn. I chose the Ancient Aztec Chocolate Drink with Vanilla, Honey and Sea Salt, together with the Warm Chocolate Cake with Ice Cream and Whipped Cream. Both were absolutely delicious, but try not to think about the calories!

A rainy afternoon in Tallinn, found this place to have a hot drink and Cake. A very quirky place and in terms of atmosphere 100% - the interior is great. Its not table service - you have to go to the counter to order, which is fine, but be aware steep sleeps to go there & very tight on space, however, the staff do offer to bring the food / drinks to your table. The cakes are a decent size and very tasty, you perhaps could share. Drinks are average but good choice of teas. Definitely one to visit to savour the atmosphere.

Outstanding atmosphere. Quirky and fun. Service was excellent. Unfortunately, our quiches were a bit overcooked and they didn't have a very big assortment of chocolates.

I found this cafe by happenstance while wandering in Tallinn. It’s amazing in its uniqueness and charm. To find a French coffee shop filled with antiques, furniture and decor from France in Estonia was a pleasure. I enjoyed its cakes and coffee as a welcome break from wandering about the Old City. Also, its staff were pleasant and helpful in selecting refreshments.

Lovely decor, great hot chocolate. We tried other chocolate cake and Sandwich and they didn't disappoint. Service was nice. One of the oldest cafe in Tallinn

Wonderful cafe in the Masters courtyard. Lots of variety in desserts and teas. Very friendly and helpful team.

I believe it's the most picturesque cafe, chocolaterie if you prefer, in Tallin. Hidden in a small street with plenty of other nice interesting shops, the space inside is relatively limited, but so picturesque. The service is good even though you have to order at the entrance at the cashier and the waitresses, and they help you to transfer everything you ordered at your table, if needed. Best hot chocolate I had in Tallin, the cake with limoncello was really tasty.

It was one of the most authentic places I have been in Tallinn. Old-style decorations, well suited waitresses, and VERY delicious apple pie cake. Had a peaceful night here.

Hamburger restaurant
Estonian Burger Factory recently hosted a beer presentation by Lehe Brewery, featuring their new beer '32. August.' The restaurant is known for its organic ingredients and offers 12 tempting burgers with toppings like gouda cheese and smoked bacon. It's a bit of a walk from the old town but worth it for its unique burger selection at budget-friendly prices.
Best burger shop in talin. It’s easy to access from the old town and ferry terminal. The beef in the hamburger was thick and juicy. It marched very well with the sauce. The fries were topped with cheese and onion, which was nice. I'd like to go again.
Daisuke S — Google review
Excellent burger restaurant; I highly recommend a visit! We had a Pulled Beef Burger and the Burning Hell with sweet potato fries and lime mayo to share. Both burgers were awesome: tasty meat, excellent sauce and crispy cole slaw/ onions. The spicy one was spicy but you could still taste all the flavours. The lime mayo was perfect. Mayo with a distinct but not overpoweting lime taste. Service was attentive, friendly and helpful. Prices are fair. In short: great place to go for exceptional burgers.

Best burgers ever! Been here before and it's the same excellence a year later. Great service over all from the very friendly staff. And the food, amazing. Hopefully we'll be back next year 🥰

Its not worth the hype. And not worth the money. Maybe ”used to be good?” Its very expensive, only the burger 15-20 euro WITHOUT FRIES. Fries 6-9 euro. Jalopenos (which were not good) 10 euros. Asked for medium. Got Well done. (Photo) Size of the burger is small (photo) Everything tastes too smokey. Burger 15 , jalopenos 10 and 2 beers. Total 40 euros.

August 14, 2025, I visited Estonian Burger Factory, located at Lootsi tn 10, 10151 Tallinn. The place has an excellent reputation for its burgers. I went for the “Burning Hell” burger, clearly marked as spicy. Ordering and delivery of both the beer and the burger worked perfectly. And the burger? Yep – that’s how it’s done! Cooked just right and as spicy as I was hoping for. I’d say this is a strong candidate for the best and most reliable quality burger in Tallinn. On the downside, getting the bill was a problem. It took far too long. When you ask for the check, it usually means you’re ready to leave – not to wait another 20 minutes. All in all: I’ll definitely be coming back!

Went there last weekend. Food was great, apple-mint lemonade - spectacular. Little bit pricey but quality was there Everything was fresh.

We are so glad that we found this restaurant in google map. They served juicy burgers with quality meat patty. The homemade fries with cheddar cheese was so good and an exceptional aioli sauce bring it to the next level. The waiter was absolutely welcoming and friendly as well. Highly recommend!!

RUKIS Kohvik ja Pagarikoda is a charming and popular cafe located in the heart of the city, offering a delightful variety of pastries, breakfast, lunch options, and more. The cafe provides an inviting ambiance with a picturesque interior that exudes a fairy tale-like charm. It's known for its quality food and drinks, including highlights such as oat lattes, peanut tartlets, and cinnamon buns.
Very cute place in the old town with the best omelet for me in the city (make sure to add cheese). Sometimes they served it with their rye bread (to die for), but sometimes not (quite confusing). Last time I had sõrnikud which were very tasty, also highly recommended. The prices are also quite reasonable for the quality of food and location. Some downsides: - there seems to be some issues with ventilation, it becomes stuffy inside very quickly, especially in summer - no tap water offered - there have been a couple of times when we came and they were closed in the morning (when they were supposed to be open), so we had to change our plans on the go.

Very nice brunch and coffee place in the old town, but the service is really problematic. There is no table service outside and people need to wait in long queues to order a coffee or something to eat. The food was really tasty and not expensive. Also served quite fast and with normal portions. Also the waiters are really slow and one of them even a bit rude, especially when I asked her to get the empty dishes that were sitting on the table for 20 minutes.

Great location at the entrance to the old town from Viru, this beautiful coffee & bakery offers also breakfasts. We opted for the pastries. A rhubarb crumble and a blueberry tartine. Accompanied by good quality coffee was just what we needed for a late lunch snack. Delicious food and friendly staff. And fantastic interior design!

Great little coffee shop in Old Town Tallinn. It's in a more touristy area of town, so I wasn't sure what to expect in terms of quality. However, the coffee was excellent. I also got the ham and cheese bread which was delicious. Definitely recommended!

NOA Restaurant is a popular dining spot in Tallinn, known for its moody dining room and casual beach house ambiance at its sibling location. The restaurant offers exceptional cuisine, including the highlight dish of NOA redfish for two, which features cured trout served with various accompaniments. Located about 15 minutes from Tallinn's Old Town, the restaurant provides lovely views of the city's skyline and Old Town in the distance.
I had the pleasure of having lunch at NOA on June 14th with a group of friends, and it was truly a delightful experience. We all ordered non-alcoholic mocktails, which were absolutely delicious — refreshing, well-balanced, and beautifully presented. The starters and desserts were the real highlights of our meal. Each dish was full of flavor and elegantly plated, making it not only a treat for the taste buds but also for the eyes. The atmosphere was lovely and the service attentive, which made our visit even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend NOA for anyone looking for a high-quality dining experience with amazing food and drinks.

Had an incredible dining experience at NOA in Tallinn. We opted for the Chef’s Menu, which was beautifully curated, but what really stood out was the attentiveness of the team. They went out of their way to accommodate our dietary needs without compromising on presentation or flavour. Exceptional service and a stunning setting—highly recommended!

We celebrated our anniversary at Restaurant NOA with my girlfriend, and it couldn’t have been more special. We mentioned the occasion when we booked, and the staff surprised us with a thoughtful welcome gift of white wine - such a kind and personal touch! It was the last day of summer in Estonia, and the weather made the atmosphere even more magical. The view, setting, and relaxed vibe created the perfect backdrop for a memorable evening. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and the service attentive without being intrusive. Everything came together seamlessly for a truly enjoyable dining experience. We left feeling happy and grateful - and we’re already thinking about returning for our next anniversary.

A hyped restaurant that has a lot of promise. The food is good while a bit boring and not too much character (perhaps more in the description). Service is a little clunky at times while the prices are high. All looks great, though! Telliskivi Creative City is a vibrant hub in Estonia, housed in a former factory complex near Tallinn's Baltic train station. It boasts around 250 businesses, including studios, galleries, theaters, cafes, bars and cultural event spaces. The site features an outdoor art gallery with changing exhibits every two months and striking mural art throughout. Renovated industrial areas nearby offer diverse dining options from Estonian to international cuisine and craft beer bars.
This was one of my favorite areas to visit on our Baltic Sea Cruise. It's about a 25 minute walk from the bus drop off area in Tallinn. Lots of beautiful art to see and take pictures with. There was a huge market area, like Estonian Whole Foods with all the fresh fruits and vegetables and all the healthy products. Also an indoor marketplace with all sorts of artisan products from driftwood stuff to soaps and clothing and home products. Lots of restaurants and bars too. Also a game/card store.

We enjoyed a few hours strolling through the Creative District with up eat sounds of music from venues, cafes, eateries, and exhibits. The street art including wall murals and 3D displays show the works of many native and local artists. The Photograpy Museum offers a great museum with relaxing coffee shop, gift shops with ingenious photo gifts. The central area offers an outdoor free exhibit of framed modern works. We enjoyed a wine and end-of-day 50% off sale on some gluten free options, including a chocolate gluten free cake. Enjoy strolling, snacking. and appreciating art. Accessible venue.

Boheem is a charming crepe shop located in a traditional yellow wooden house in the Kalamaja district of Tallinn. While they offer an array of crepes, salads, and desserts throughout the day, Boheem is renowned for its healthy and delicious breakfast options. The little terrace in front of the building provides a perfect spot to observe the bustling morning activities of locals during summer while savoring a leisurely meal.
I hadn't been in years, so it was nice to pop back and have a late lunch with some friends. I chose the crepe (€11.50) which gives you the option of 4 toppings. I went with blue cheese, spinach, bacon, and wild mushrooms. It also came with a sour cream dipping sauce and small side salad, which needed to be seasoned more as it was quite bland. The crepe itself was very nice, though, and the wild mushrooms especially hit the spot for me along with the bacon. The service was friendly and welcoming. I like the interior in this place as it feels like you're in someone's living room and/or dining room. It's definitely worth a visit if you're a tourist in the city! :)

This place is pretty good, food was fresh and tasty. Eclectic atmosphere with tons of separate rooms, almost felt like a maze; but fun and vibey. Staff was nice and very…standard. Loved the banana mint milkshake; a must try.
Peter F — Google review
This place is very cozy, atmospheric and beautifully decorated with antiques, paintings and unique details. The space feels a bit like a maze with multiple rooms. The service was very welcoming and friendly. Unfortunately, the menu was quite limited, especially for vegetarians, vegans and pescatarians. I chose the shrimp pasta in creamy chili sauce with marinated paprika and blue cheese since it was the only option I liked. My friends tried the Caesar salad, dumplings (note that they are quite spicy) and nuggets with fries. All food was decent but nothing special. Regarding drinks, the house wine was good, but the Tequila Sunrise had almost no distinct flavor. Overall, this place is more about the atmosphere and experience rather than the food or drinks.
Vladyslava S — Google review
The design of the cafe is very interesting, but a cafe remains a cafe, probably only drinks and light snacks can be good. We visited for a birthday dinner and were disappointed. We ordered soup and main dishes, they brought drinks first, then soups and then main dishes, which got cold while we were eating soup, who does that? The creamy soups were really not creamy, we tried two different ones, the milky soup with curdled cheese is far from being creamy, the vegetables in the soup were just from a set of frozen vegetables, the tomato soup was also not creamy, it blows people's minds. The main dishes were greasy and at really high prices, for which you expect a more aesthetic image on the plate. Dried buckwheat with mini shrimp that were overcooked rubbery, chopped smoked salmon, all mixed with tomato sauce and topped with one half of a not-quite-ripe tomato when August is tomato season. 55 euros were received for such a dinner. Only vermouth and spritz cocktail was tasty. It's a shame that we decided to have dinner here.
Gabija ( — Google review

Restaurant Salt is a cozy spot located near Kadriorg Park in Tallinn, offering an eclectic fusion of Estonian and Asian cuisine with a focus on seafood. The menu features dishes like scallop ceviche with mango and green foam, as well as Japanese okonomiyaki with locally caught shrimp and squid. Situated in the salty neighborhood of Tallinn's Baltic coastline, Salt offers a unique dining experience inspired by the owners' global food travels.
Overall superb experience! Fabulous and really tasty food. All the dishes (octopus, risotto, mussels) were tasty and didn’t leave you hungry. Wine selection was excellent and provided variety of options. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. Their own beer was tasty too. Atmosphere in this cozy and homey place is extraordinary, small dining room provides unique feeling. Some nice small details like golden tiles in the washroom. A bit out of main streets and city center, but surely worth visiting. Reservations are highly recommended.

This restaurant always delivers. Aside from innovative recipes, beautiful plating and perfectly executed dishes, i really appreciate that SALT constantly updates and modifies their menu based on seasonal ingredients and the freshest produce available. The vibe and buzzing atmosphere of the restaurant is unique. However, the space is limited so booking in advance is recommended and many visitors might find the restaurant ‘cramped’. The service is attentive and friendly and helpful with navigating the menu. My favourite dishes were ✨tartare ✨octopus 🐙 ✨duck dumplings 🦆 The octopus was cooked to perfection, however slightly too salty for me. Overall we had a great dining experience and I’m looking forward to trying the rest of the menu.

We had a nice dinner at the restaurant. The inside was full so had to sit outside but luckily the weather was good. We liked the experimental, daring menu. Dishes were executed well, tasted as beautiful as they were presented. However, we felt that they lack certain highlight or a signature that made any of the dishes stand out. We liked the foods as they are, but not sure if they made us curious and satisfied enough to come back. We hope that being creative or innovative is accompanied by making simply heartful, wholesome foods.

Enjoyed excellent scrambled eggs and lattes at Tallinn's Nop Cafe & Shop. Service was friendly and attentive despite the crowd. However, food delivery was significantly delayed due to peak weekend brunch busyness. The charming, rustic atmosphere with its organic shop adds to the appeal. Highly recommended for food and vibe, but expect potential waits during busy times. Key points captured: 1. Food/Drink Quality: Excellent (scrambled eggs, lattes). 2. Service: Excellent (friendly, attentive, efficient under pressure). 3. Atmosphere/Vibe:Lovely, cozy, rustic, wholesome (with organic shop). 4. Main Negative: Long wait for food during peak time (acknowledged as due to busyness, not service fault). 5. Overall: Positive experience, worth recommending, with advice to plan for potential waits during busy periods.

The outdoor area was beautiful. This cafe/restaurant works for everyone - families, those who want to take cute photos, and those who want a cute date spot. Everything about this restaurant was excellent, just be careful about your drink orders. The group I went with gave them a 7/10. The food was beautifully prepared and tasted wonderful. The pastries were fresh and smelled incredible. There is also a small store area in the back to pick up a snack. I totally recommend if in the area.

NOP is an extremely contradictory place. I’ve visited several times, and each time I leave slightly confused—but smiling. The atmosphere in the courtyard is absolutely lovely—nostalgic and hip, with a laid-back energy that somehow reminds me of northern Thailand, particularly the places around Chiang Mai where we’ve spent many winters. I know it sounds unlikely, but the vibe is strikingly similar—a casual charm with a creative edge. The food is good—not groundbreaking, but fresh, healthy, and flavourful, clearly built on high-quality ingredients. It never disappoints in taste, even if it doesn’t aim to surprise. But then there’s the service, which is where the confusion kicks in. There are plenty of staff, yet somehow they often seem to avoid actually serving. They’ll polish glassware, chat among themselves, or stand around—but not approach the tables. It’s odd. And yet—on our last visit, we had the pleasure of being served by a young man with dark hair and striking brown eyes, and he was absolutely excellent. Attentive, communicative, present—the kind of service that truly elevates an experience. I wish I remembered his name, though I suspect he’s just here for the summer. So yes, NOP is a mystery—but one I’ll likely keep returning to.

The service was warm and friendly, and the café boasts a cozy, spacious garden with plenty of seating — perfect for enjoying breakfast outdoors on a sunny morning. On top of that, the prices are very reasonable. All in all, a low-key yet memorable spot in Tallinn for a relaxed breakfast with a creative twist and great value for money.

There were lots of different flavours of icecream to choose from. You can have up to four scoops per cone. The price goes up accordingly. It was very reasonably priced. The icecream was delicious. They also sell cold drinks, waffles, and coffees. Staff were polite and quick. The shop looked clean and well presented. There was limited access for people who use a wheelchair. There were a few steps into the store. I am not sure whether there was a ramp. At worst case scenario, it would be possible to get a member of staffs attention from the doorway.

We tried 4 flavors. All of them were really good and creamy. We especially liked largitsa, mustsostra and kirsi. The watermelon one had a different less creamy texture than the other ones. There are few sitting spots on the inside but plenty on the outside. The ice cream is as good as people say and is a must try.

Average ice cream... WAY overhyped. The line was really long because they only had one server. On one hand, it’s very nice they offer samples. But they need extra staff! One server for a Saturday afternoon/early evening?!? Unfortunately I got spoiled with Molberts in Riga. This place was kind of pricey given the tiny ball of icecream. Won’t be going out of my way to return.

Restoran Pull, located in the historic Rotermann Quarter, has been a popular spot since 2016. The restaurant is known for its high-quality steaks and grilled dishes prepared by three renowned grill masters. Their open kitchen allows guests to watch as meats are cooked over fire and hot charcoal, with one of their specialties being the Dirty Steak, which is cooked directly in charcoal.
What a lovely place! I’ve been here 3 times and ordered something different each time. The burger and fries were so delicious, the steak is yummy and I absolutely love the baked potato. I really really loved the French bun for the burger. I love deer and the presentation was amazing looking but I wasn’t too impressed by the deer flavors. The staff were very friendly each time I went. Even though I didn’t like the deer as much as their other items, I would still go back again.

Great tasting food and lovely setting. Was busy when we arrived so slight delay in being served. Not cheap but high quality ingredients and it is Michelin listed.

I loved the attention to detail in the interior—everything down to the cutlery adds style and zest to the atmosphere. The food was delicious, with the duck being truly exceptional. Portions were just right, leaving me satisfied without feeling stuffed. A refined and enjoyable dining experience. Recommend. Book in advance.

Originally i came to try a starter and a main from the menu, but i happened to arrive whilst lunch was still being served. So i went with the burger of the day..It was properly cooked, the patty was a precise medium. I've been trying to find out what was in the burger since i didn't fancy the flavours too much, but i still can't find any info about the ingredients! The fries weren't very good, the dip fell in to the same category. Burger + fries were cheap though(8e) and the wine wasn't pricy neither(9e). Service was really nice and fast! The restaurant was looking clean, cozy and had a cool vibe! I hope to come and try the dinner menu too, it sounds delicious!

Quite underwhelming. For such a fancy restaurant with even a Michelin recommendation, I had high hopes. While the plating of the food was excellent, the flavor was rather mediocre, and I would've had to pay extra for sides, which I didn't order. The lamb also didn't taste like lamb at all, which was a let down. Also the dessert portion was literally one spoonful of sorbet for 6€. The apple-hibiscus mocktail as good tho.
Dank M — Google review
This restaurant is modern and was surprisingly quiet on a Saturday night. My steak tartare was very good and it was not just pure meat and I also enjoyed the cheese topping. The marble steak was also very good and grilled to perfection and I loved te beets as a side dish. I was a bit disappointed by the wine selection as it seemed to contain mainly "safe bets" and there was no mentioning of vintage for the various wines. All in all , a good meal but maybe the menu and wine is a bit "boring" as there is a lot of focus on just meat. But all in all, we enjoyed the dinner here and you can never really go wrong with meat - well, as long as you have good quality and they prepare it right!
Gard K — Google review
Overpriced place for me. Atmosphere was ok, service was ok, but nothing too good to visit again. For a ~100€ bill, nothing was balanced. The soup was a negative surprise, very salty and with a questionable taste. Please try it with your team, it is so specific and really not tasty at all.

Ülo is a charming restaurant that caters to both vegetarians and meat eaters. The service is exceptional, with attentive staff who go the extra mile for their customers. The menu offers a variety of dishes, many of which can be prepared vegan. While some found the grilled avocado dessert questionable, others raved about the banana chickpea pontsik. The atmosphere is inviting and the traditional dishes come with a new twist and beautiful presentation.
A hidden gem in Tallinn – perfect for all dietary needs! Gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, vegan, meat, fish... Ülo truly has something for everyone! This place deserves to be mentioned far more often. Ülo is an especially great choice when your group includes different dietary restrictions or preferences. The staff told us they put a lot of effort into making sure they can accommodate all needs without compromising on taste – and they absolutely delivered. The flavors were spot on! The menu is mostly plant-based, but there are also meat and fish options. One person in our group needed gluten-free food, and almost all of the dishes we shared were easily adapted so they could enjoy them too. Prices are very reasonable – most starters are under €10, and only one main (the entrecôte) was over €20. A top-notch dining experience that won’t break the bank!

Excellent food with options for vegans and meat or fish eaters. As a person with egg allergy this combination was great as it gave me many great choices from their menu. But even better was the quality of the food we ordered. And the cocktails were fabulous too. Really great place, highly recommended.

We had a lovely experience at Ülo. We had the snack platter which was slightly adjusted for allergens and it was absolutely amazing! A mix of comfort food and fine dining in one dish! The mains were also superb, perfectly cooked chicken and Mediterranean-style whole fish with a great sauce! The waitress was super friendly, helpful and attentive 👌 We’ll definitely eat here again!

This was my best meal in Tallinn this time and a pure gastronomic experience. Mostly plant-based sharing menu with bold, exciting and unexpected flavours. Padron peppers with crushed macadamia nut and balsamic vinegar ponzu sauce and goat chesse cream with caramelized figs, walnut vinaigrette and chicory salad are to die for (both in the photo). Another notable mention is the spicy cauliflower wings with celery and herb mayo. However, the undisputed star of the show for me was the olive oil ice cream with miso foam and caramelized bread, topped with flaky sea salt. Sweet, salty and perfectly umami - this complex and bold dessert leaves you wanting more. This was 10/10!

We had 2 starters per person and we shared them. My friend had alcoholic cocktail and I had Virgin Maarika non-alcoholic cocktail which I really enjoyed. I did not fancy anything from main menu so two starters was enough for me. Waited was super friendly, efficient and very artistic. You would have to book a table if you want to have a seat at the dinner time as it can get busy. Food was delicious. I had sweet potatoes and also some hummus.

With its talented chefs blending classic Estonian and international cuisines, the restaurant invites guests to savor delicious delights while taking a genuine break.
The restaurant has a very pleasant atmosphere. The food, in general, was quite good. However, for a Michelin Guide restaurant, I would expect more consistent quality. While some dishes were close to excellent, others were merely good and lacked a standout quality. For instance, the variation of Vitello tonnato was overly salty. The Sablefish, on the other hand, was better than expected. The service, however, was outstanding. The staff was incredibly welcoming, attentive to detail, and maintained a polite demeanor throughout the dining experience.

We had our lunch here, super nice. The duck was so tender; the beef tenderloin was well matched with crispy potato cake; and the fries with truffle sauce was really delicious. The vibe was super nice, with excellent view (especially if one manages to sit next to the windows).

One of the best dining experiences we had during our 5 weeks travel. Staff were amazing since we walked in. She was friendly and very efficient. We came across the venue after a museum visit nearby. We were lucky able to walks in. Food was excellent. The starter popcorn prawns especially the sauce was fresh and tasty. My duck was tender with a creamy truffle potato mash and berry juice. I loved the potato. No wonder they received a Michelin which is well deserved. Overall we enjoyed our dining here and a nice way to celebrate my birthday. Thank you! ☺️

We’ve been occasional visitors of this restaurant for years. In the past, it consistently offered premium food at a reasonable price—higher than average, but worth it—paired with top-notch quality every time. Unfortunately, recently, it’s become hit or miss. The restaurant still has a wonderful atmosphere and exceptional service, but the consistency in the kitchen has declined. During our latest visit, everything was excellent except for the duck, which was overcooked. However, the prawns and everything else on the duck plate were still delicious. In my opinion, given the recent inconsistency, it’s no longer worth the price.

Creative and delicious food! The beef tartare is different from the traditional type: every bite is an explosion of flavor. Very friendly service and pleasant atmosphere. Highway recommend!

We booked a table weeks in advance when we knew we were visiting Tallinn. We ate there on a Monday evening in the summer but the place was fairly empty. We were sat at the back of the restaurant in the main room and felt we were away from the atmosphere. The decor is really nice - modern, clean and industrial while at the sane time warm and cosy. As a vegan, they had no problems adapting the menu. As a starter I had a grilled asparagus with the a creamy truffle sauce and for a main meal had an incredible risotto. The frozen chocolate cake with berries was insanely good! Unfortunately the staff weren’t friendly or inviting and they were not generous with the wine. Tip! Buy a bottle otherwise you’ll get a very tiny pour. When our waitress poured the wine, we assumed it was a splash just to taste the wine but nope!

Absolute delight! 🙌 The food was exciting, fresh, jummy in each bite, service sincere, urban-sleek yet friendly surroundings. And amazing seafront that can be a plus not only in the summer heat but also in a cold autumn evening (this evening: aurora borealis as a compliment from the nature ☺️)

We had been waiting for this restaurant experience and booked a table well in advance, because we know that the restaurant had received a Michelin recommendation. Well, I don't remember when we had received such poor service. At the start we ordered (3pax) 3 breads to start, we got 5 pieces, when we asked the waiter about it, she said that everyone could taste it? A what??? At this point, it didn't even occur to me that my asparagus starter would come with all the main courses? 😒 The only thing we got a correct time was a water, all other got drinks we got a little after the main courses and even then so I got the risotto and the asparagus "my starter" at the same time whit all the other main courses???? So..When the dishes were served, we asked about this; were told that the drinks had just arrived, the order regarding was completely ignored. This restaurant completely lacks control on the serving side, there was no one to even properly correct mistakes because all the waiters were too young to understand the mistakes made. Which was a shame in itself because the food itself was good, but in this case it doesn't make up for the whole thing. I would not never recommend 😒 this place!!!

We had a great experience and enjoyed the food, the views, and the great service. We were a little hesitant at first because some reviews said service was awful. We can’t say that at all. We called to make a reso before heading over on a Sunday and no one answered. Within 5min someone called back and made the reso. We arrived and they had a great table outside on the waterfront with amazing views. The servers were all super nice and gave great recommendations. The food arrived and everything was delicious. Highly recommend.

Enjoyed the duck but not the service here this time around. For our table, the trainee was switched for a more experienced server (shift manager) after a disagreement over whether one person could order a mixed selection meant for at least 2 people for a group of 8 so everyone can try the food - probably a combination of busy friday night & trainee not being used to large group orders. That kind of dampened our experience. My duck was perfectly cooked to medium minus and the primitivo red went well with it. I quite enjoyed the really fresh beef tartar as well. I’ll probably go back, but with 2-4 people max.

While they are fully booked for tonight’s dinner, I was seated to try out their same menu for lunch. What’s not to like at a Michelin mentioned place. Excellent service even I have only ordered an appetizer. The cauliflower turned out to be in a generous portion, not quite a light lunch as a thought. Beautiful place. Superb service. Enjoyed my solo lunch here in their cutest window seat.

All starters were eggcellent! More exquisite than excellent - so needed to prolong the first version 😊 Mains were tasty also, but did not blow the mind as the starters did. Also the wine list is extensive and there are beautiful pearls within affordable range. Greetings to the chefs, we'll be back! 🤖

I had a wonderful time. Service is top notch and lots of locals were eating there. I liked the cauliflower but the flounder wasn’t my thing. The Estonia sparkling wine was great! (They had this fish on mussels before and I hope they’ll bring it back.)

Wonderful local restaurant with daily changing menu & great wine selection. They even feature Estonian wine. Service was friendly & accommodating for English speakers. We really enjoyed some delicious wine on the comfy patio with some fun, fresh & creative shareable starters.
Melissa M — Google review
While the service was excellent and the restaurant was beautiful, the food was just average, but the seafood was particularly disappointing. The scallops were overcooked and rubbery, the tuna in sesame sauce had so much tough connective tissue that it wouldn't even be appropriate even if they were to finely chop it into tartare. We had to nibble around the gristle to get some actual tuna meat.F(No wonder they covered the tuna with endive!) Finally, the 1/3 of the clams and mussels in the seafood pasta were shut (inedible) - the chef is supposed to throw out the bivalves that didn't open prior to serving the dish. We also ordered the sirloin, the halibut, and the burrata salad. The only dish I would say we truly enjoyed was the burrata.

Fantastic little restaurant close to the old town square. Opens at 18:00 - right in time for a late dinner. Booked a table - just in case - easily done on their website. Very kind and attentive staff, explaining each dish and advising if needed. The food was spectacular - the crispy organic chicken - simply to die for. I do not exaggerate when I say it was the best chicken i ever ate. The meat was fresh, moist and cooked to perfection. The cucumber + mint bedding was fantastic as well. Overall a great composition. As sides we had truffle potatoes and broccolinis. And for dessert - the mergangue - which was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside topped with berry sauce, pistachio sauce and pumpkin seeds. Amazing combination. We also had the amaretto parfait - which disappeared from the plate in no time. Definitely a place worth recommending. Chapeau bas to the kitchen staff and the waitresses!

Loved everything about my little lunch here. I say little, because the portion to price ratio is my only concern, otherwise I could have eaten three grilled mushroom with tamarind sauce skewers - it was that good. But since they were $12 euros a piece, I settled on one, added a Ceasar salad, and left happy.

Nice looking place with very friendly service and good selection of different kinds foods to taste. The problem unfortunately was that the offerings were so varied in quality that some of us won in the lottery and some lost. Let's go over the food in detail. The herring appetizer had so much crispy batter on top that I could not taste the herring from underneath, which was real shame. At this price I want something else than batter, even though the batter was delicious. The mushroom appetizer had nice and complex flavours, but was overly spicy, if you don't have any tolerance to chilies you'll suffer. Tartar was oddly served without egg, which did not get rave reviews from our table. Sides were the best part of this place and they really shined. Bread had a deep and sugary flavour with excellent home made butter. Corn ribs were tasty and new potatoes were plenty and the herby oil they were served with was perfect addition. The shashlik main was delicious, but very, very small for the price. Chicken was huge and had very good garnishes and was clearly the best deal of them all. Steak was a disappointment, they prepared it wrong and the taste was not up to the price at all. Fish had excellent flavour and nice textures and there was enough of it to justify the price. The waiter listened to our feedback very graciously and was sorry about all the stuff and offered to replace the steak. So were happy that they took the feedback seriously and the atmosphere was good. I hope they can improve based on this! They had some really good hits here, but sadly the missed and inconsisteny lowered the score.

Peppersack is in a great location, right in the heart of Tallinn’s Old Town. The interior is styled in a charming medieval theme, but we chose to sit outside, which was also very pleasant. At first, it seemed like no one noticed us — probably because the place was completely full — but once we sat down, the service was very friendly and attentive. Simple but absolutely delicious. Overall, I definitely recommend the place.

I have eaten at this restaurant many times over the years but lately, like within about the past month, something has definitely changed. The food was much better and the service was faster, now not so much. Recommendations brought my friend and me to this restaurant, and we wanted to sample different dishes, so we opted for the Tai Boh tasting menu. Everything was worth tasting, but the Beef Tenderloin Tataki stood out, especially thanks to the delightful truffle-coconut mayonnaise. It was a super delicious combination! The portions were way too large for us, and we started wondering if the tasting menu actually consisted of full-sized dishes. For tasting and feeling satisfied, half the amount would have been more than enough. A big plus for the warm dishes being properly hot—we both dislike lukewarm food. We were able to swap the tiramisu included in the menu for a chocolate fondant (for an additional €1 per person), and it was perfectly made! I highly recommend it to anyone searching for the perfect chocolate fondant—go and have just this if you're not hungry otherwise! The cocktails were also great, and I particularly recommend the Yuzu & Basil drink—refreshing and delicious. Another plus for the wide selection of mocktails! The restaurant has a well-thought-out interior design, and although we were seated in the winter garden, which was a bit chilly at the beginning of February, it didn't bother us since the space was beautifully decorated and cozy. On warm summer evenings, it must be absolutely charming, especially combined with the terrace. A lovely restaurant with professional service as well!

Very nice restaurant and cocktail bar. They have been open in this location for about a year now and the new interior looks stunning. They also have a seperate winter garden area with ultra cozy seating. They serve asian cuisine and have an unique cocktail menu, while ofcourse serving classic cocktails aswell. Food and drink is always amazing. The staff are very lovely and professional. Whole place looks very luxurious and the atmosphere is always very welcoming. Once you sit down, you won't want to leave for hours. Prices can be a bit higher than average, but considering the experience and the quality, nothing to complain about. You can also see the kitchen as the chefs cook. The toilets can be a bit confusing to find, but that's due to it being located on the second floor, with even a comfortable sofa and a make-up mirror on it. Overall a perfect place to eat and have a few drinks with your company. Highly recommend.

Positives: I love the design of this place; it’s very unique for Tallinn. The staff seems to be very friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere. I particularly enjoyed the “mega vegan” cocktail, and the shrimps with wasabi sauce were awesome! Negatives: However, the rest of the food was pretty average. I wouldn’t order it again and would probably try something else instead. The cocktail with matcha was terrible—none of my friends wanted to even try it, and it even smelled rather bad. I would give it a 0/10. Definitely do not recommend. Additionally, there was a problem with the leaking glass roof. While the view was beautiful with the rain and thunder, a leaking ceiling in many places is never fun. Overall Rating: I would give it 3.5 stars altogether. If I had only tried those shrimps and the “mega vegan” cocktail and sat inside, it would probably be a 5/5

Kohvik Must Puudel, also known as the Black Poodle, is a popular cafe in Tallinn that embraces ironic Soviet nostalgia. The cafe is filled with old Soviet furniture and decor, creating a unique atmosphere that resonates with the local ex-USSR crowd. It's renowned for its superb homemade hot chocolate, fresh pies, and cakes. The laid-back warmth of the living room area and the peaceful garden out back add to its charm.
Excellent place for breakfast or brunch in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The snacks and drinks are varied, with many healthy and vegetarian options. The waitresses are very attentive and friendly, making the experience even better.

We went here for an evening drink on a Saturday. Upon entering we were told we could pick any free table and received the menu from a very friendly and cheerful staff member. The waiter happily advised us on which local beers and drinks to try. We also tried a 'snickers pie' and had a potion of loaded fries which we're very tasty.

Great service and very welcoming atmosphere. We were a group of 7 people and our waitress Onnalise (not sure if it’s written correctly, sorry) did an amazing job! The snacks and the beef salad were delicious, pork tacos and seafood pasta were average, but overall we really enjoyed our evening, thanks!

Nestled within the enchanting St. Catherine's Passage, Restaurant Munga Kelder, or 'Monk's Cellar,' is a delightful hidden gem in Tallinn that exudes charm and warmth. With its rustic dark wood decor and austere white walls adorned with medieval stained glass, this cozy eatery transports diners to another era. The atmosphere is further enhanced by the unique touches of garlic braids hanging from the beams and stone floors that echo history.
It is a wonderful gem of a restaurant off the beaten path that's tucked away in the basement. It's cozy and quaint! The food and drinks we had were all amazing! The star was the garlic bread, I've never tried them this way before, and now I need to try and figure out how to make them at home! I would go back there for those alone! The wait staff was very pleasant and was able to answer whatever questions we had! Go here, you won't regret it!

Tasty food but a couple of improvements needed. Had the Estonian cheese in breadcrumbs to start. My companions had the prawns in chilli/garlic sauce. Both dishes were very tasty. For the main course I went for the stuffed pork. It was very tasty but the price was just for that dish with no accompaniments. I ordered a side of baked potatoes with garlic for €4. 4 slices/wedges of potatoes came out which was very poor value for money. A jug of water for the table was €4 also! Staff were mostly nice when they were engaging with us, but could have been a bit more attentive... no cutlery when food served, no bread to the table etc Really tasty food in a nice setting, but need to work on their "sides" & attentiveness

A nice quiet cellar restaurant. Rustic vibe, stained glass windows with monks and beer. The food was amazing, we particularly enjoyed the garlic-cream mussels and chicken stuffed with smoked Estonian cheese and roast veggies. Great beer /wine selection. Highly to take a load off after walking around Tallinn all day.

I don't often leave reviews, but for this place I just had to. It was excellent. As a starter I had a Seljanka beef soup, which was fantastic. As the main course I had the duck in red wine sauce, with a side of French fries. The fries were a bit salty, but that's just my personal preference, and no negative towards the overall dish. The red wine sauce was an excellent thing to dip the fries in. As the dessert, by recommendation of the waitress, I had the baked banana with vanilla sauce and ice cream. Which again was excellent. The staff was friendly, the decor was fantastic looking, and the background music was not loud. Overall an excellent experience, definitely worth your money.

Eating lunch at Munga Kelder. Seems more like a dinner spot because of the hazy medieval cellar vibe. Nothing bad to say, representation with the dishes was neat, great value with the large pork roast being 15€. To me, fries could’ve been a bit bigger, for you have to order them separately as a side dish. That, and a bit more sauerkraut would’ve granted the food 5 stars😁 But overall great traditional food and atmosphere!

This cafe serves an absolutely delicious breakfast! Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The menu had a great variety, and everything we tried was exceptional. The cozy atmosphere and lovely decor made the experience even more enjoyable. The only minor downside was that the waitresses didn’t speak English, but they were still incredibly friendly and did their best to assist us. We visited the cafe on April 14th. Initially we were somewhat skeptical due to some publicity about the place, queues at the entrance, and waiting up to half an hour to seating st a table. What came of it: the place is really worth its positive reviews. Of course, during breakfast (until 13:00) the place is full, so it is better to book a table in advance. The waitresses are very friendly, despite the workload, they can easily guide you through the menu. As for the food: the portions are huge, with high-quality and fresh ingredients, full of flavor, worth every cent. The Pavlova dessert and chocolate fondant with ice cream were prepared perfectly (although the cook didn’t get the fondant right the first time. I’ll say right away that they didn’t bring us the fondant, the waitress warned us about this, that the waiting time had increased a little, because the dessert was being remade in the kitchen) . Despite the number of people and the bustling environment, it is pleasant to have breakfast there and your stay does not cause discomfort. We will be happy to visit you again

I had many great meals in Tallinn, but it doesn’t get any better than that. The food was amazing, stuff super friendly and helpful. Also the location was very relaxing. The only issue I had was that I would have loved to try more of their delicious meals, but I was full already :)

This is a great restaurant in Telliskivi. The atmosphere is vibrant and there are cool pieces of art on the walls. The service is very good! The food tasted very well as well, only thing to note out is that the seabass that I had as the main was a bit dull in taste. It was a pleasant dining experience!
Hannalore T — Google review
This was our favorite meal in Tallinn! My husband and I went for our two year wedding anniversary. The service was welcoming and high quality. I later learned that our server Hayley owned and operated the place with her husband. The food was brilliant! The sea-bass was incredibly fresh and prepared to perfection. We also ordered the Tournedos Beef and the Pear Cake. The beef was and the sauce was divine. One of my faves was the pear cake, the recipe of her mother-in-law. It was made with love and comfort. I also appreciated their wine selection and opted for a great natural white. It was deliciously layered and unique. I’ll also say that I really appreciated the welcome feeling of the physical space and of the staff. Rare in fine dining. Great location too, right by the Fotografiska Museum. Well priced. I wanted to eat every meal here.

A jewel. French food tastes good here. Fish was perfectly done. Gewürztraminer grand cru was nice, dessert (fondant) was awesome. I had a small issue with the dessert and the charming waitress got it resolved in no time. Perfect place! Will visit again when in town next time.

Very cool bistro with nice staff, but with very ordinary and bland dishes. Dishes looks great but tasted very bland. Everything was under seasoned and nothing was exciting. Compared with the price, which was on the high side, the quality didn't match. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The ambience was very nice too.
Farokh S — Google review
It was our lunch. Interiors and atmosphere are typical for this area (Telliskivi). Big windows, high ceiling - a lot of air in the small place. Food: we tried chicken fillet, duck fillet, Tartare, vegan lemon cake and pear cake. Longest delivery time had chicken fillet - but the size was also surprisingly good. Duck had ca 150g sliced breast (tasty), puree was very thin and not much on the plate. Overall - duck was not as a main course, but more looks starter (from the size point of view). Lemon cake is served with raspberry sorbet - both are sour and not complement each other. To sum up : if you are not very hungry, then the place is good. The presentation of the food on the plate is beautiful - it pleases the eye.

The Kalev Marzipan Museum Room is a small museum located within the Maiasmokk Cafe in Tallinn, Estonia. It showcases hundreds of marzipan figurines and painted models, offering visitors a glimpse into the art of marzipan painting. The museum is dedicated to Georg Stude, who started manufacturing marzipan in the building where it is housed. Visitors can watch artists create marzipan figurines and purchase sweets at the on-site shop.
Flagship store-slash-cafe of Estonia’s most well-loved Kalev marzipan brand. Cafe’s huge and comfortable — great spot for a quick hot choco break from all the walking around in the cold. Store’s also stacked with all sorts of marzipan flavors you can bring home.
Sheila C — Google review
Both a store and a cafe. You can see how they make their famous marzipans and how they color them, give them shape. It was nice to watch it and see different figures on display. The cafe was really crowded and it is pretty hard to find a place to sit.
Ece H — Google review
The marzipan displays here are very minimal with only two display cabinets. It is still interesting to see and worth seeing but it isn't possible to spend more than 10 minutes here as there isn't much to do. The paint at home marzipan kit is very cool and worth trying. While it is pricey, I did enjoy painting my marzipan cat and bunny! I didn't think the prepainted marzipan was too steeply priced, and it would make for a very cool present.
Emily A — Google review
Hard to call a museum. Most of the loose sweets on sale aren't even marzipan (only berry ones). Boiling hot as, rather amazingly, they've put aircon outdoor units indoors at bottom of stairs (so blasts hot air _into_ the rooms).
Simon R — Google review
It's more a café than a museum but at that, it's quite nice. Coffees were great and the treats were excellent. There is a shop at the front to get more treats to take home. See the picture of the marzipan bar... they're delicious.

Uulits is a popular gourmet street food restaurant in Tallinn, known for possibly serving the best burger in the city. What started as a single street food stand has now expanded into a franchise with seven establishments. While not offering traditional Estonian cuisine, Uulits prides itself on using homemade sauces and regional ingredients. The restaurant is recognized as a pioneer of Estonian gourmet street food, offering fresh traditional dishes prepared in a modern and healthy way.
One of the best gourmet burger experiences in Tallinn. We dined in at the kadaka tee outlet, ordered two double cheeseburgers, took one with double beef patties and another with one patty. Served fresh and hot with tempting aroma. Buns, patties everything was perfect. Soft, tender, and juicy. Atmosphere was up to the standard. Loved how the staffs were always positive, kind and professional with good service. Best recommended to dine in and have them hot to get the ultimate taste.

I like this place, we found it by accident one day. Glad that we did, compared to other American *Diner* style places, this place thinks about the food carefully, and thinks outside the box. With a little bit more adventure and playful menu than just the usual stuff. In comparison to other so-called gourmet burger places in Tallinn, this was epic. A real nice surprise to get an impeccable burger so far from the tourist traps and tracks of the city center. We saw a couple of bikers pull up and bike people know good food usually. So it was worth the stop. Reasonable prices for top notch food. Highly recommended.

I think it's good. Not the best burger, but a good one for sure. I went with chicken siracha burger. It wasn't really spicy, at least I didn't feel it. The chicken pieces were soft and sweet siracha sauce complimented that very well. The place was a bit cold though, put that heating on!

Very good place if you want to have some quick VEGAN meal, and finally also to feel little bit as in restaurant. And very good truffles sauce for batatas/fries !
Diana P — Google review
The location next to some busy road wasn't too special, but came in handy coming from the Tallinn Zoo. Restaurant was quite stylish. First thing that put me off though was the ordinary but moreover really loud music, making you feel more like you're inside of a mall or a gas station than in a restaurant. Staff was relatively kind. We did have to order at the counter. The drinks and food were ready quite fast. There are two beers on tap and ciders are really expensive. Foodwise, my woman tried the Uulits burger while I went for the vegan burger. Apart from this one, they also have a vegetarian wrap. We both really enjoyed our burger, though missed a small salad or something more with the burger. It was a bit expensive for just the burger, especially considering we paid more than €7 extra for a portion of very delicious sweet potato fries with truffle mayonaise. All in all a good experience but nothing special. I think €36 is a bit much to pay for a simple meal with one drink for two in Estonia, or anywhere for that matter. I also have to say I did get a bit of a stomac ache after the visit which wore off a few hours later (not sure if there's a connection but worth mentioning). Wouldn't come here again, but can recommend it for a single visit.

Second time in this place. First time food was good but service bad. This time both service & food were really bad. We went there to have dinner during resaturant week. 3-cource dinner cost 30 euros per person without drinks. Starter (Crispy tarragon coated green clams with ceviche verde) was more or less OK but I am not big fan of clams. Main course was cold salad (Le Marsellais seafood salad - fermented vegetables / algae chip / garlic vinaigrette) with seafood. This one was really awful and we left half of the food on the plates. Desert (Mille Feuille - chocolate cream / gooseberry jam) was aslo surpsingly bad - left half on the plate. Service is also not good, young personell with no experience. This kind of 3-cource dinner could cost 10 euros but defenetely not 30, really disapointed as we wanted to spend Friday evening enjoying good food but instead had bad experience and will not come back to this place ever as well as will not recommend this to anyone.

Very nice upscale restaurant, pricey but good. Very good for special occasions. Awesome service and complementary things from the chef. Interesting menu and the tasting options. We had duck breast and halibut. The duck breast was a little chewy and the halibut was a little dry and overcooked, but they took good care of us and made another halibut for us. Over all we had a great time. Pavlova was the desert and it was great, the presentation was great.

If you are not planning on coming here- change your plans. I do not remember the last time I have a better meal. It’s ridiculous they don’t have several Michelin stars- they are better than most Michelin starred places I have been. Everything was fresh and well prepared. The service is great. The food was all accessible- the tasting menu is the way to go. I had a passion fruit sour from the bar and that was amazing. My friend did wine recommendations and they were also great. Fresh. Seasonal. Delicious. Top of my list when I return. My favorite was the mussels and the initial amuse bouche, the pavlova desert was also top tier. You can’t go wrong.

What an experience! Exceptionally good and inviting interior. We went there with my family for my birthday. My mother liked it so much she requested we come back around Christmas time. One of the top restaurants in terms of ordering the degustation menu and what value it offers. Looking forward to being back here. Tchaikovsky stands out for its refined atmosphere - classical music, elegant decor, and an overall sense of understated luxury. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, always making sure our experience felt special and comfortable. Each dish in the tasting menu was truly a work of art, from beautifully plated starters to the rich and creative mains, with flavors that felt both sophisticated and balanced. The desserts, especially the pavlova, left a lasting impression on all of us. It’s rare to find a place where every element is executed so thoughtfully, right down to the selection of breads and the perfectly paired wines. The environment is not only classy but inviting as well, making it ideal for celebrating meaningful occasions with loved ones. Can’t recommend it enough if you’re looking for a memorable dining experience in Tallinn. We will definitely return - this restaurant is a gem and deserves all of its accolades.

Food (we tried a salad, entrès and the Balthazar special sizzling steak) was decent but not near as good as could be expected from the price, and they did not apply the garlic theme in an interesting way. Their assortment of pickled garlic I would rate as below that which you can buy in a jar at a supermarket. Too sharp garlic taste and too bland flavouring. The (under)cooked garlic bouquet was also too sharp without having the depth found in similar garlic preparations.

Unusual restaurant with a garlic twist to most of their dishes. Food is delicious albeit pricier than in the restaurants around. Totally worth the extra investment though if you can afford it.

Peggy L — Google review
Food was awesome! Everything had such a nice flavor and was cooked very well. Service was not good, the waiter was bit rude and cold.
Brittney J — Google review
What a great food they serve here. Eating there @this moment. Delicious without an overly garlic taste
Stephan G — Google review
Food was great and it was a relaxing place in general.
