It's so nice, beautiful place, we was here for yoga Days. It an old hall for Zeremonie dance's, conferenz, exibitions, lessons, seminars. Some days Kurhaus is opened for free to visitors and tourist.

I really didn’t think I could believe the 5 star reviews here, but thought to give it a go anyway. And now I can only say, I would rate this place 6 stars if I could. We had the Rinderfilet and it was absolutely fantastic. We also had the beef burger and Mais. The burger was delicious and an excellent portion size. The ingredients are really high quality, and the beef is cooked perfectly. You can tell the chef really cares about making the food well and he often checks on those who ordered a meat cut to make sure it has been cooked to their liking. A lovely place that I would recommend to everyone coming to Meran.

Nestled in the terraced amphitheater of Trauttmansdorff Castle, Touriseum is a unique museum that offers a journey through the 200-year history of Alpine tourism. The castle, once a holiday residence for Empress Elisabeth of Austria, now houses this fascinating museum. Visitors can explore exhibits on the evolution of tourism while enjoying panoramic views of Merano and the surrounding mountains from the botanical gardens.
You need a whole day for this place. I actually applaud the use of a castle to house this museum. Great useful use of the building and rather than preserve everything from that era a museum has been carefully and thoughtfully slotted in and around the existing structure. Loved it. It was engaging and interesting. We arrived about 3 and after the main exhibition there wasn't enough time for us to look around the gardens fully but from what we saw they looked stunning. Thoroughly recommend.
S D — Google review
This is one of the best attractions in Merano, 80 different type of landscapes and plans have been set over here. I like the exciting lookout bridge in which hanging out of top, quite thrilling! but have a great panoramic view over Merano. In the castle where people experience old time interior living style, it was once the holiday residence of empress Elisabeth of Austria. All of exhibitions are nicely connected, they are not big to make you feel out of proportion. We spent half day here, and had a decent lunch.

almost didn't go because the rating was quite low but this is one of the best museums ever thanks to its uniqueness and it's included in the price for the gardens

Museum
Kunst Meran, also known as Merano Arte, is an international center showcasing various contemporary art forms such as fine arts, photography, architecture, new music, literature, and new media. The museum aims to make art accessible to a wide audience and promote local artists on a global scale. It also focuses on fostering cross-border collaborations with similar institutions.
Very cool Museum of modern Art. The exhibition about Earthly Communities is ingenious. I highly recommend a visit.
Veronika S — Google review
Nice and small art exhibition space in the center of Merano. We went to the Studio Other Spaces exhibition during September 2020 and it was surprisingly interesting. However, unfortunately due to corona, the implementation of the virtual reality installations was very difficult, and took quite a bit of time to set it all up before we could experience it. Maybe have this kind of technology not integrated during a pandemic, when you have to be super careful about not touching anything (complicated with VR headsets), and stick to regular, frame or sculpture based artworks.
Dorian H — Google review
Beautiful rooms but the exhibition is nothing special and a bit underwhelming to be honest. Cute gift shop and lovely staff at the front desk though.

As an architect, I enjoyed the building itself - interesting renovation and use of a classic old Meran building. The present exhibit on modern regional architecture was well presented, though some of the buildings/projects featured were not so great. Some, however, we're excellent.

Garden
Gilf Promenade is an extension of the summer promenade in Meran, offering a beautiful garden with trees, flowers, and plants. It's a perfect spot to rest in the coolness of summer. The adjacent animal garden adds to its charm. In spring, the lush vegetation makes it particularly stunning. Visitors might even catch kayakers navigating the slalom course in Gilfklamm.
A must visit site in Merano. It's amazing that there was so much beauty and nature inside one city!
DELIKAKTUS C — Google review
Great walk along the river of Meran!
Sarah N — Google review
(Translated by Google) We owe the beautiful and carefully designed Gilf promenade to its creator, Dr. Prunster. You stroll along the well-laid out paths through diverse vegetation. Those interested in botany can find all the information about the respective plants on small metal signs. Benches placed everywhere invite you to linger and listen. In the back section you can see the large figures, which will be planted with fresh flowers again in spring. At this time of year, in February, everything seems a bit bare, but it is still worth seeing. A personal highlight is the Gilfklamm, where you can impressively observe how the Passer made its way through the rock. The Zenoburg towers majestically above it. On the way back towards Meran you can also branch off from the Gilf Promenade onto the Tappeinerweg. Conclusion: The Gilf Promenade is a worthwhile destination at any time of the year. In summer it becomes an almost idyllic retreat when the summer-winter promenade is heavily frequented by tourists.

(Translated by Google) This walk that runs along the banks of the Passirio near Merano is highly recommended. The path, easily accessible even for strollers, is surrounded by vegetation which in any season offers wonderful views of castles and bridges that stand out along the way. At the end of the route you can return to the other bank thanks to a river and follow the short walk in reverse returning to Merano (Original) Consigliatissima questa passeggiata che costeggia le sponde del Passirio nei pressi di Merano.

(Translated by Google) Continuation of the winter walk that runs along the Passirio, it allows you to connect to the other bank (summer walk or Sissi path) and to the better known and longer Tappeinerweg. We stumbled across this lovely place by meeting another couple that were on their way there... Boy were we happy for the recommendation! Whilst I wouldn't recommend the weisse Burgunder wine, the red (produced locally at the winery) was a hit! We ordered the gnocchi with pfifferlingen mushrooms... An absolute delight! Followed by a steak tartar presented to us with all the sides... And we could choose what we'd prefer to have added. A very nice touch. After the ingredients were mixed we were asked to try it. Absolutely fantastic! I would anyone to visit this place that's in the area. We'll be back for sure next visit!

Interesting muzeum of history of wine producing in the region, beautiful location in the middle of vineyard, surrounded by mountains, winery with possibility of wine tasting, so you can taste local products.. Staff is empathic and friendly.. The disadvantage is problematic way to get here when you want to taste wines - local public transport is not very reliable and it's quite complicated and taxi is quite expensive..

Meran Town Hall, also known as Rathaus, is a striking building featuring an impressive clock tower. Constructed between 1929 and 1932 by architect Ettore Sott Sass, it showcases the architectural style of that period. (Translated by Google) The current situation in Meran: more and more traffic! If people are going to switch to bicycles, cars shouldn't be allowed to circulate uncontrollably at the same time, otherwise the whole thing doesn't make sense. Too many buses that go directly to the center. Anti-pedestrian traffic lights in favor of car traffic. No controls on the spa promenade, winter and summer promenade and lower Passer promenade...inconsiderate cyclists circulate there too. There is no longer a place where pedestrians can walk undisturbed. Compared to other cities in Italy, Merano seems dingy, noisy and smelly. There is rubbish and empty bottles on and around the benches. The dogs are really bad and are allowed to run around everywhere in the center on a leash and often off a leash and dirty everything...and there are more and more of them because tourists are now taking their dogs with them on vacation. Fraudulent gangs that even do mischief inside churches. On every corner there are "personaggi pittoreschi" who beg despite support and who literally jump at and scare the Meran guests, and the trend is increasing. People are now avoiding certain streets because more and more ethnic groups are driving away Meran citizens who have long since started turning their backs on the once tranquil Meran in order to shop elsewhere. Many citizens no longer attend evening events for fear of being threatened or attacked. Merano is the focus of negative reports almost every day. In summary: everything is completely out of control here, the downward spiral is in full swing, everything is broken, sad, very sad!!

Among the various excursions, I really enjoyed the "Tappeiner Promenade," which winds between the hill adjacent to the city and another walk called "Gilf," to which it connects. The walk is full of cute and interesting things, and is even overlooked by a chairlift that's currently closed for some unknown reason. However, more could be done in terms of upkeep and maintenance. It's definitely worth a visit. (Translated by Google) Merano is generally a wonderful place. However, given the high rate of burglaries in parked vehicles, it would be nice if the municipality of Merano launched an awareness campaign about this... According to the police, to whom we filed a report as victims, the windows of approximately 100 vehicles are smashed every day to steal items. According to the repair shop we chose, a two-euro coin left open is often enough for the thieves. In our case, three minutes of parking was enough for the burglars. It would certainly be good if the municipality would raise awareness about this via social media, posters at gas stations or hotels, and at relevant sights and tourist destinations. It seems to be a real problem that needs to be addressed. And in the long run, it damages the reputation of this beautiful city.

Nestled in the charming area of Maia Bassa, at the end of Via Piave, lies the stunning Chiesa Parrocchiale di San Vigilio. This parish church boasts a remarkable bell tower that rests on a six-meter-high Romanesque base. The history of this site is rich; beneath its current structure, which was built between 1934 and 1936, you can find remnants of an older Gothic church dating back to the 13th and 14th centuries.

We stayed three nights in the tower room (quite larger than photos convey) and cannot speak highly enough of our experience. An absolutely exquisite castle hotel in every respect. Hands-down the most personal resort experience we've ever had. The entire team totally delivered the royal treatment, and we felt more like we were cherished family than guests. The pristine grounds are tranquil. The spa, pools, and fitness room are all exquisite. And the restaurant -- there is simply no substitute. Dining anywhere else was not even a consideration. Truly an amazing stay. Old-world style and comfort. We felt instantly at home and in a bubble of relaxation. A short walk to the center of the historic river promenade. Other guests were so interesting and friendly. We will most certainly visit again.

David and Sonja could not have been nicer to us. David gave us hiking tips, eating tips and told us all about the history of the Castel and the work they have done to restore it. Sonja gave us a tour of the grounds, showed us some of the other rooms the Schloss has to offer and was there for any questions we had. The room we had was perfect and had a beautiful balcony that overlooked the rest of the grounds. We ate breakfast and dinner there everyday of our stay. The food was delicious and David helped us Americans choose and enjoy the wonderful food of South Tyrol. I can't wait to come back!

The grounds of the castle are meticulously maintained and seem to go on endlessly. The pool offers a perfect vantage point to admire the majestic mountains in the distance.
An amazing 11 February cattle in the middle of Merano. Elaine du Parc ( mthe owner) is what you will aspect from the noble beauty in all the senses. The castle Ruben will be a perfect spot for the privet events, weddings and any time stay in Merano. A huge territory with beautiful gardens, small forests will make you feel relaxed and in harmony with yourself. Very comfortable location, beautiful and antic place, where you see the history in any angle - will make your stay there just unforgettable💜 Can’t wait to go back💜

Do yourself a favor and book your stay here! My husband and I wish we would have been more on top of it and booked this place for 3 or 4 nights but they were out of rooms so we ended up only staying two nights. We were in a suite which was the most spacious room I’ve ever stayed in. Came with a little kitchen, dining area and terrace. The grounds were the most impressive part...immaculately kept and went on forever. Make sure to layout by the pool with a perfect view of the mountains. We were not there when contessa Eliane was but the keeper (i forget his name) and Brigitte were so welcoming! We adored them both.

Beyond beautiful location for a wedding or similar. The gardens and grounds are absolutely incredible and we will never forget our time here.

(Translated by Google) We attended a wedding reception held in this castle. The vastness of the park is incredible with centuries-old trees and many flowers, all very well looked after. A beautiful experience. The aperitif in the park and lunch in the internal courtyard of the castle. It is a private residence so the bad reviews seem out of place to me.....because you can't visit.....

Manzoni Rooms is a budget hotel situated by the riverside, offering streamlined rooms with free Wi-Fi and mountain views. The property is conveniently located just 200 meters from Merano thermal baths. The bright rooms and apartments feature parquet floors, wooden furniture, and some offer balconies. Guests have praised the well-renovated rooms for their cleanliness and individual charm. The central location near the river, arcades, and spa house has been highlighted as a major convenience.
Great place to stay in Merano. Rooms were very spacious. We had private bathroom so it is an advantage. The room is located near the river and close to Therme Merano and city center. Parking is available. The highlight is the great service of Ms. Dora and Konstantin. Thanks for the great stay!!!

(Translated by Google) Really excellent location 3 minutes walk from the spa and the Christmas markets! Warm welcome, clean and spacious room, shared bathroom but really very clean. Coffee and hot tea available in the corridor, but there would be no water. Convenient price compared to offers in the area. Thanks for the hospitality! (Original) Posizione veramente ottima a 3 minuti a piedi dalle terme e dai mercatini di Natale! Accoglienza calorosa, camera pulita e spaziosa, bagno in comune ma veramente molto pulito. A disposizione caffè e tè caldo in corridoio, mancherebbe l'acqua però. Prezzo conveniente rispetto alle proposte della zona. Grazie per l'ospitalità!

(Translated by Google) Very nice B&B, all modern and well organised. Impeccable cleanliness. Very close to the spa and the centre. The bathroom is shared on the floor but there are few rooms and the bathroom is practically always free. The only flaw: for a B&B the breakfast is very sparse (tea, coffee or herbal tea, apples). Apart from this, absolutely recommended. (Original) B&b molto carino, tutto moderno e ben organizzato. Pulizia impeccabile.

(Translated by Google) Overall, this is a very good accommodation, offering a fair price-performance ratio compared to most accommodations in Merano. The room and bathroom were very clean and well-maintained, and the staff were very friendly. However, the mattresses were so worn and uncomfortable that we couldn't have a comfortable night's sleep. The Wi-Fi was very unstable and unusable. Hence only 3 stars.
