This is a small, cozy café run by a single lady. There are only about 8 bar seats? so seating is quite limited. We were lucky to grab the last seats when we arrived. The food was decent, but nothing particularly special. The prices are definitely on the higher side, which makes me unsure if I would recommend it. It’s a nice spot if you’re in the area, but don’t expect anything extraordinary.

We stopped in for breakfast and I ordered coffee and the Fujiyama breakfast which included egg and rice with whipped meringue. It was accompanied by small delicious dishes that were carefully crafted with local ingredients. My husband ordered the Japanese omelette which was also tasty. There is a locally made pepper seasoning, which we loved and wish we would have bought some to take with us. The food isn’t something I would normally order, but it was delicious. I’m so glad I tried it and I highly recommend this place.

If you are looking for a delicious Japanese breakfast and are in Fujiyoshida this is the place to go! Just a short walk from the train station, I had a very delicious and well prepared set breakfast here. The staff were very kind and I loved the hand drawn menu pictures. It is a small restaurant with just a handful of bar seats, so you may have to wait a bit, but the food is definitely worth it. I’m looking forward to breakfast here again for sure!

Cozy and intimate, the food is prepared right in front of you. The Japanese omelet and breakfast platter were delicious. The platter had many different items that excite all areas of the palate.

It was an extremely cold day, and Mount Fuji was hidden behind the clouds. my friends and i felt disappointed. However, this coffee shop gave us warmth and comfort. The coffee was a bit watered down, so it tasted a little weak, but the atmosphere made up for it.

We were driving around looking for coffee and found this place from Google Map. While the servers didn’t speak English, they were very accommodating nonetheless and were able to take our orders well. Coffee tasted good!

Very disappointed with the service. There was a miscommunication around my dish being vegetarian. The waitress advised no meat. It came with fish which I explained again I can’t eat due to being vegetarian. I asked them to return it and when we went to the counter they still charged us. We explained the situation and they said you can’t cancel your meal. None of it was touched.

Staff are nice albeit quite slow, took them a long time to serve. Food is pretty good but not amazing, looks exactly like the pictures on the menu so you know what to expect. The place is calm, they have free wifi and restroom and an english menu. The best part is that they are open from 7:00 to 23:00 so if you are stuck looking for a place to eat they are almost always available.

I had a really good experience in this place. The foods is amazing. They even have an English menu. The only thing this that the wait for the foods is a little long. I came in with a party of 3 and we ordered a decent amount of foods. I took them a good minute to get the foods to us. To be fair, they only have 2 staffs in the kitchen with 3 waitresses. Overall, would come back without a doubt.

Not a huge fan of fast food, but to appease my entire family, we opted for some Japanese McDonald's. The place is spotless, service is amazing, and the food wasn't that bad. Feeding a family of 4 adults with desert was under $20 dollars. Best part of it was the views of Fuji-San from the second floor!

The best McDonald's I have been too in my life. I live in America, most of the McDonald's in America are lower quality and not clean. This McDonald's was VERY clean, and it even had a hand-washing sink in the lobby. The staff were fast, friendly, and professional. The food was wonderful. I loved the Japanese offerings - the unique chicken sandwiches with garlic, the curry powder fries, the energy/vitamin C fountain drinks. If this McDonald's were near my home, I'd be tempted to visit every day!!

I am from the states and love to visit different McDonalds across the country. I got plenty of classics as you can see but what we don't have in the states are the macaroons and the blueberry Oreo McFlurry. Those two things were AMAZING. The blueberry Oreo McFlurry is by far my new favorite thing in the menu!

Very recently built McDonald's with drive-through. The counter was large with lots of staff present, online order was possible with an app or website. The second floor is spacious with large Windows that offer a great view of mount Fuji (when it's not cloudy outside). There is also a lot of parking available.

Basically it’s a Japanese ihop. Food is not expensive, plenty of variety between Japanese and western food options. The quality is not great, kind of mediocre or even below average really. I liked that beverages and soup was free. Overall not a bad experience but would not come back.

When we visited this family restaurant, it was fairly empty, which made for a quiet dining experience. Ordering was simple and convenient through the touch pad with multiple language options available. The food was delivered by a robot, adding a fun touch to the experience. I had the hamburg cheese set meal with rice and while the taste was pretty average, it was hard to complain given the reasonable prices especially compared to restaurants in more touristy areas. Overall, it's a decent option for a budget-friendly meal.

Great service and at a reasonable price. There are a lot variety of traditional Japanese style and Western style breakfasts. I loved their pancakes and I saw a lot locals ordered it. The drinks are self served which a lot hot and cold variety as well.

Great and consistent as usually. Best comfy food ever at a very reasonable price! Try the new korean set with a glass of 99¥ umeshu, delicious!

Lunch was delicious. Robot serves you food, it was adorable. This is like a Japanese Dennys with great amount of options for all types of day. Also had Italian like food and food ranging from healthy to unhealthy. Great prices too! Great service as well and they even called my taxi when I had no service. Recommend!!

This is supposedly the better albeit expensive version of Saizeriya. It’s not bad but I think I still prefer the latter. Taste wise it’s ok and they have a huge variety. The nicest dish we had was the cream spaghetti. The fried platter was only so so, chicken was lousy actually.

Was looking for a dessert/coffee place. Does not have much variety of desserts, and drinks not sold Ala carte. Drink bar offers free flow hot and cold drinks. Still, the atmosphere was really nice and would have been a good pit stop if you were driving around!

I went on vacation with my family, the food and service were amazing! This is my second time visiting, and it never disappoints!

So where do I begin. Prices were reasonable. I took the Mix Grill they offered with some Large fries. First the meat. The Hamburger Steak was not enjoyable. It was completely falsly seasoned and the Demi sauce it came with, had to much Garlic. The Chicken was Chicken thigh. It was juicy as you expect from aThigh but flavor wise it just wasnt it. I wont even talk about the sausage. It was store-bought so nothing special there. The fries were superb. Not gonna lie, one of the better fries I had at least for a few years. And also the Dessert (Waffle with banana fruit, maskarpone creme, chocolate syrup topping and maple syrup. I topped it with Vanilla ice cream it it was perfect. Just for the Fries and the Dessert, 2 ☆ on food. The service was from an automated Robot wich was an unique pleasant experience for me. And the staff was nice and cleaned up really fast. Work on your meat seasoning. Thats all.. 😁

The Starbucks of Mt. Fuji. There are souvenir cups and tumblers as part of the "Been There Series" Across The Globe Collection to buy as a memorable gift of Mt. Fuji. The day we went, Mt. Fuji was clouded and cannot be seen from the shop at all. The shop is too small for a famous Starbucks which is packed with tourists. Too few outdoor seats. The parking spot was enough, at the time we visited at least. A must visit Starbucks for a fan and a coffee lover that loves Mt.Fuji.

This may be the Starbucks with the best side view of Mount Fuji. The seating on the outside allows for an unimpeded view when the weather is nice. As far as the products, it's the usual Starbucks fair. However, they did have an unusually diverse set of mugs and souvenir items if that's what you're looking for.

If you're tired of 7-Eleven food and want to eat cheaply, this place is for you. It's a fast food chain where you'll always leave unsatisfied if value for money is important. We've eaten here quite a few times because we've always found something delicious. The service is super fast and friendly. It takes longer to order food on the tablet than it takes to get it to the table.I highly recommend all the dishes.

Always hot, always fresh at a great price. Large variety of made fresh meals to choose from. Menu includes ; salads, fish, chicken, steak, Japanese hamburger, as well as Japanese style meals.

Like seeing civilization while walking in a desert, after a long 16 hours climbing up and down Mt. Fuji, this Coco's made my night! Dining here was unforgettable because in Japan food quality is a practice of tradition and culture. Great location, open until 0200. Locals come here to study, be with friends, and enjoy a late-night meal. There is a late-night dining charge. There are not many Coco's Restaurants in the USA. None that stay open this late in a town this size, while providing quality food, with simple American-Japanese touches and dishes.

A franchise known for their beef don, Sukiya does not disappoint. Their beef has a nice texture that isn't too chewy but still taste great. Their pricing is acceptable as well. It should be around 800 yen or less for the average person. Great place to go for a nice and warm beef bowl.

The food was 👍 great. However, it takes a long time for the staff to prepare even though there were few people. If you're in a hurry to go home, this is not recommended. Food was okay as well as parking. Staff were also kind. I wish they could provide food quicker, i think they may have forgotten or prioritize delivery.

Surprise WOW! It is our impression after first taste. Our family arrived to Fuji area in the evening, and very worried about dinner as hotel no serve and quite surrounds. We found Cheval rest. on Google map as the nearest restaurant and still open on golden week time. But we have had a small doubts on taking French foods in Japan. However, we had wonderful dinner thanks to amazing foods, lovely Watanabe san and his wife for their hospitality. Nice experience, we want to come back again.

Unexpected gem of a find. Lovely French meal created and served by an even lovelier chef and his wife. Our family of five foodies enjoyed most of the appetizers and five different entrees including chicken, pork, steak(beef) and an incredible piece of flounder. A truly unexpected surprise.

Dining at CHEVAL was one of the most memorable and enjoyable parts of our trip to Japan, and the meals we had here were the most delicious as well. We stayed at a Ryokan not far away and walked here for lunch, where we were treated to incredible food and very attentive and kind service from both Katsuhito-san and Chie-san. I had no idea that Hamburg steak could taste so good - it burst with flavor, was excellently cooked and it came paired with an assortment that may vary by day (ours was pasta, quiche, potato puree, carrots, dijon mustard, cornichons and baguette). We enjoyed our time and meal so much that we made sure to visit again the next day prior to leaving for Tokyo. We were again treated to a delicious meal (the beef steak was also fantastic) and we again received the kindest service imaginable, including an amuse-bouche and some custom side dishes (guacamole and salsa, since Watanabe-san had heard I was from Mexico the previous day!). Next time we're in Japan, we will make sure to visit Fujiyoshida again especially to come back to CHEVAL. We can't stop thinking about our meals and highly recommend a visit!
