Cafe
Sai Breakfast and Cafe is a Japanese breakfast restaurant that offers a warm and delicious morning experience. The cafe pays particular attention to selecting local ingredients, with a surprise at the variety of crops grown in Fujiyoshida. Their meringue fluffy egg rice is highly recommended, along with the Fujiyama set and Kofuji set which offer various side dishes. Despite its location on a narrow street, it's worth finding for a hearty breakfast and coffee.
A hole in the wall experience of a very local Japanese breakfast set by a single lady. Really enjoyed the cozy ambiance. The breakfast dishes tasted really light and perfect for a good morning kickstart! Good that the shop opens at 7am cause we are early risers (which made us came back a second time for both the food and timing) Do give them a visit if you are here for Mt Fuji 🗻
Samuel L — Google review
This is a small, cozy café run by a single lady. There are only about 8 bar seats? so seating is quite limited. We were lucky to grab the last seats when we arrived. The food was decent, but nothing particularly special. The prices are definitely on the higher side, which makes me unsure if I would recommend it. It’s a nice spot if you’re in the area, but don’t expect anything extraordinary.
V — Google review
We stopped in for breakfast and I ordered coffee and the Fujiyama breakfast which included egg and rice with whipped meringue. It was accompanied by small delicious dishes that were carefully crafted with local ingredients. My husband ordered the Japanese omelette which was also tasty. There is a locally made pepper seasoning, which we loved and wish we would have bought some to take with us. The food isn’t something I would normally order, but it was delicious. I’m so glad I tried it and I highly recommend this place.
Beka H — Google review
Simple and nice local breakfast. One person prepared, served and wash but she’s very friendly and cooked very homely food. Egg omelette is very nice and yummy. The hot green tea is very nice and owner told us it was bought from another shop nearby
JingWen W — Google review
Small and cozy place. I came here 8:30am to find soba for breakfast (which is rare). The menu is revealed so it’s easy to order. I had Soba but a bit salty for me but it’s my business (I like mild foods)
Trang P — Google review
If you are looking for a delicious Japanese breakfast and are in Fujiyoshida this is the place to go! Just a short walk from the train station, I had a very delicious and well prepared set breakfast here. The staff were very kind and I loved the hand drawn menu pictures. It is a small restaurant with just a handful of bar seats, so you may have to wait a bit, but the food is definitely worth it. I’m looking forward to breakfast here again for sure!

I had a really enjoyable time at Komeda's Coffee Fujiyoshida. The food was fantastic, and they even offer an English menu. However, the wait for the food can be a bit lengthy since they only have two kitchen staff members and three waitresses. Despite this, I would definitely return to this friendly cafe that serves delicious coffee, sandwiches, and desserts. They also provide wifi and power outlets at the tables.
This coffee shop was amazing! The food was delicious. I got the Katsu Sandwich, Melon Soda, Fries and a dessert. All of it was amazing and the staff was incredibly friendly.
Gabe A — Google review
It was an extremely cold day, and Mount Fuji was hidden behind the clouds. my friends and i felt disappointed. However, this coffee shop gave us warmth and comfort. The coffee was a bit watered down, so it tasted a little weak, but the atmosphere made up for it.
Yubin L — Google review
We were driving around looking for coffee and found this place from Google Map. While the servers didn’t speak English, they were very accommodating nonetheless and were able to take our orders well. Coffee tasted good!
Kin R — Google review
I had the pleasure of visiting this charming restaurant for breakfast before heading to Naruto village, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The staff at this establishment were not only friendly but also incredibly helpful. Their warm and welcoming demeanor added to the overall positive atmosphere of the place. Now, let's talk about the food. The dishes were delicious, and I was pleasantly surprised by the reasonable prices. It's always a joy to find a place that offers both quality and affordability. The flavors and presentation of the food exceeded my expectations, and I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. The restaurant's warm atmosphere added to the overall enjoyment of my visit. It had a cozy and inviting ambiance that made me feel comfortable and relaxed. Whether you're on a romantic trip or with your family, this place is a perfect choice. The atmosphere sets the stage for a beautiful dining experience, creating a memorable time for all. This lovely restaurant and cafe left a lasting impression on me. The friendly and beautiful staff, delicious and reasonably priced food, and warm atmosphere created a fantastic dining experience. Whether seeking a romantic setting or a family-friendly environment, this place has everything. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant and cafe during your time in Japan.
Dr. A — Google review
Very disappointed with the service. There was a miscommunication around my dish being vegetarian. The waitress advised no meat. It came with fish which I explained again I can’t eat due to being vegetarian. I asked them to return it and when we went to the counter they still charged us. We explained the situation and they said you can’t cancel your meal. None of it was touched.
Neety E — Google review
Staff are nice albeit quite slow, took them a long time to serve. Food is pretty good but not amazing, looks exactly like the pictures on the menu so you know what to expect. The place is calm, they have free wifi and restroom and an english menu. The best part is that they are open from 7:00 to 23:00 so if you are stuck looking for a place to eat they are almost always available.
Ivry E — Google review
Lovely cafe with polite staff. Food was fab and came in huge portion, made even better with wallet-friendly price. Worth a visit if you’re in Mt Fuji area!
Pei — Google review
I had a really good experience in this place. The foods is amazing. They even have an English menu. The only thing this that the wait for the foods is a little long. I came in with a party of 3 and we ordered a decent amount of foods. I took them a good minute to get the foods to us. To be fair, they only have 2 staffs in the kitchen with 3 waitresses. Overall, would come back without a doubt.

McDonald's National Route 139 Fujiyoshida is a newly constructed fast-food restaurant with a drive-through option. The spacious second floor provides a stunning view of Mount Fuji through large windows, and ample parking is available. It's conveniently located at a street junction and offers online ordering through their app or website. The restaurant also features a kids' play area and clean restrooms. Visitors have praised the good food quality, hot servings, and excellent coffee.
The transition from the old small store to this new spacious building has had a great impact on the customer experience. There are ample parking facilities. A drive-through order and pick-up system is efficient and caters to those on the go. The use of three self-order machines inside makes ordering easier. The stunning view of Mount Fuji from both floors is a standout feature of this location. A clean and tidy atmosphere with stylish seating arrangements creates a pleasant dining experience. Customers can find restrooms on the second floor, which can be accessed either by lift or stairs. Patrons can wash their hands before meals using the handwashing sink near the window on the ground floor. Adding a mirror to the wall would enhance this feature even more. This shop is unique in that it offers its burgers in small cardboard packaging that is decorated with animated pictures. Japan's McDonald's comes out on top in the world overall.
MoCもし — Google review
Not a huge fan of fast food, but to appease my entire family, we opted for some Japanese McDonald's. The place is spotless, service is amazing, and the food wasn't that bad. Feeding a family of 4 adults with desert was under $20 dollars. Best part of it was the views of Fuji-San from the second floor!
Brian P — Google review
The best McDonald's I have been too in my life. I live in America, most of the McDonald's in America are lower quality and not clean. This McDonald's was VERY clean, and it even had a hand-washing sink in the lobby. The staff were fast, friendly, and professional. The food was wonderful. I loved the Japanese offerings - the unique chicken sandwiches with garlic, the curry powder fries, the energy/vitamin C fountain drinks. If this McDonald's were near my home, I'd be tempted to visit every day!!
Oliver W — Google review
Had a snack here passing thru, no customers in insight. Tried the new chocolate dessert, was disappointed. Clean mcd though
Michael L — Google review
McDonald’s on National Route 139 in Fujiyoshida stands out with its two-storey design and stunning views of Mount Fuji from the upper floor. The large windows on the second level make it a great place to relax and take in the scenery, especially if you’re stopping by after visiting nearby attractions like Fuji-Q Highland or Gotemba Premium Outlets. The restaurant is clean, well-maintained, and efficiently run—hallmarks of most McDonald’s locations in Japan. There’s convenient parking right outside the building, and it also features a drive-thru for those on the go. This branch includes a McCafé by Barista, offering freshly brewed coffee, cakes, and pastries—a nice touch for anyone wanting something more than standard fast food. While the menu is what you’d expect from McDonald’s, the peaceful setting and the view of Mount Fuji give this outlet a unique charm. It’s a solid stop whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or taking a short break with a coffee.
Crumpled N — Google review
I am from the states and love to visit different McDonalds across the country. I got plenty of classics as you can see but what we don't have in the states are the macaroons and the blueberry Oreo McFlurry. Those two things were AMAZING. The blueberry Oreo McFlurry is by far my new favorite thing in the menu!
Emeka O — Google review
Very recently built McDonald's with drive-through. The counter was large with lots of staff present, online order was possible with an app or website. The second floor is spacious with large Windows that offer a great view of mount Fuji (when it's not cloudy outside). There is also a lot of parking available.

ガスト 富士吉田松山店 offers a delightful dining experience with a touch of novelty as the food is served by robots, adding an adorable element to the meal. The restaurant resembles a Japanese Denny's, providing an extensive menu suitable for any time of day. I have been to quite a number Gusto cafes . Their quality is consistent . Food is as good and tasty . Reasonable priced . I totally enjoyed their food .
Choo H — Google review
Basically it’s a Japanese ihop. Food is not expensive, plenty of variety between Japanese and western food options. The quality is not great, kind of mediocre or even below average really. I liked that beverages and soup was free. Overall not a bad experience but would not come back.
Allen L — Google review
When we visited this family restaurant, it was fairly empty, which made for a quiet dining experience. Ordering was simple and convenient through the touch pad with multiple language options available. The food was delivered by a robot, adding a fun touch to the experience. I had the hamburg cheese set meal with rice and while the taste was pretty average, it was hard to complain given the reasonable prices especially compared to restaurants in more touristy areas. Overall, it's a decent option for a budget-friendly meal.

Great service and at a reasonable price. There are a lot variety of traditional Japanese style and Western style breakfasts. I loved their pancakes and I saw a lot locals ordered it. The drinks are self served which a lot hot and cold variety as well.

Royal Host Fujiyoshida is a delightful dining destination that perfectly blends Japanese, Western, and Asian cuisines in a family-friendly atmosphere. Nestled near the stunning Mt. Fuji, this restaurant offers an inviting ambiance where guests can enjoy quality meals amidst a relaxed setting—smoking is not allowed here to maintain comfort for all diners. While some may find it slightly pricier than other local eateries, many patrons feel that the exceptional food quality and attentive service justify the cost.
We have eaten at the outlet at Jewel Changi Airport, and loved it then, but the pricing was pretty high (even for Singapore). However, this Royal Host outlet near Mt Fuji is near perfect, looking just the way I imagine an outlet would in the countryside. To top that, the local version serves food that is even better (the special onion soup, hamburg and steaks) attentive staff, quick service. I want to come back again already

This is supposedly the better albeit expensive version of Saizeriya. It’s not bad but I think I still prefer the latter. Taste wise it’s ok and they have a huge variety. The nicest dish we had was the cream spaghetti. The fried platter was only so so, chicken was lousy actually.
Alex N — Google review
Was looking for a dessert/coffee place. Does not have much variety of desserts, and drinks not sold Ala carte. Drink bar offers free flow hot and cold drinks. Still, the atmosphere was really nice and would have been a good pit stop if you were driving around!

Delicious food and very convenient for customers, especially foreigners. Located near Kawaguchiko station, it's easy to get there.
Aiyrada P — Google review
Royal Host restaurant chain in Japan offers a comfortable and family-friendly dining experience that offers a mix of Japanese, Western, and other Asian dishes. Compared to other family restaurants in the area, the restaurant is often perceived as slightly expensive. Although prices may be higher, many customers believe that the quality of food, service, and ambiance are worth the cost. The environment is relaxed and hospitable. Smoking is not permitted. The all-you-can-drink soft drink, tea, coffee, and cocoa bar offers customers a diverse range of beverages at affordable prices. The decor is often modern and clean, and offers comfortable seating arrangements. The staff is dedicated to ensuring hygiene, but we are not aware of the cooking and kitchen area within. While the “Nikuvege Thai rice plate” may not have met expectations in terms of typical Thai flavors. It's possible that the Thai rice plate has been modified to suit the tastes of the locals. In addition, the fish and chips were regarded as average. There are several payment methods that are quite convenient. Royal Host Restaurant is in proximity to a convenience store, a sacred shrine, a mobile shop, and a Toyota car rental shop.

I went on vacation with my family, the food and service were amazing! This is my second time visiting, and it never disappoints!
Yanti D — Google review
So where do I begin. Prices were reasonable. I took the Mix Grill they offered with some Large fries. First the meat. The Hamburger Steak was not enjoyable. It was completely falsly seasoned and the Demi sauce it came with, had to much Garlic. The Chicken was Chicken thigh. It was juicy as you expect from aThigh but flavor wise it just wasnt it. I wont even talk about the sausage. It was store-bought so nothing special there. The fries were superb. Not gonna lie, one of the better fries I had at least for a few years. And also the Dessert (Waffle with banana fruit, maskarpone creme, chocolate syrup topping and maple syrup. I topped it with Vanilla ice cream it it was perfect. Just for the Fries and the Dessert, 2 ☆ on food. The service was from an automated Robot wich was an unique pleasant experience for me. And the staff was nice and cleaned up really fast. Work on your meat seasoning. Thats all.. 😁

Starbucks Coffee - Fujiyoshida is a Seattle-based coffeehouse chain offering its signature roasts and light bites, along with WiFi availability. The local Starbucks in the city provides one of the best places to view Mount Fuji, with some outdoor tables where visitors can enjoy their coffee while taking in the awe-inspiring sight of the famous volcano. The staff is known for being friendly and approachable, and the shop is praised for its cleanliness and aesthetic warmth.
Staff is very friendly, handed over the menu for us to see when we spent some time deciding. Shop is very clean and aesthetic, warm to stay in when it’s cold outside. Dine in and drive through is available hence all 5 staffs very busy when its friday 3pm. Enjoyed the drinks and pastries, especially the chocolate chunk scone.

The Starbucks of Mt. Fuji. There are souvenir cups and tumblers as part of the "Been There Series" Across The Globe Collection to buy as a memorable gift of Mt. Fuji. The day we went, Mt. Fuji was clouded and cannot be seen from the shop at all. The shop is too small for a famous Starbucks which is packed with tourists. Too few outdoor seats. The parking spot was enough, at the time we visited at least. A must visit Starbucks for a fan and a coffee lover that loves Mt.Fuji.

This may be the Starbucks with the best side view of Mount Fuji. The seating on the outside allows for an unimpeded view when the weather is nice. Popular Starbucks in this area with a lot of tourist posing with drinks in and around cafe. Great service and good Starbucks menu. They also have Mt Fuji tumbler only available locally.

Coco's Restaurant offers a wide selection of freshly made meals at affordable prices, including salads, fish, chicken, steak, Japanese hamburger, and other Japanese-style dishes. The atmosphere is pleasant but can be noisy due to the bustling environment. Additionally, the restaurant features a unique touch with a cylindrical robot serving food and drinks. Customers have praised the delicious food and amusing waiter robot while also recommending their favorite desserts.
Need to read the signs to navigate. From checking in, going to your table, ordering and even payment is automated. Coffee shop vibe that’s open early and late.
Reid Y — Google review
Good food at a good price. Although the coffee there wasn't as good as the other ones I've been to.
Brad R — Google review
The food is great. The robots are a mess. Bring back the waiters and waitresses. Especially in tourist areas. We come here looking for that gentleness offered by the people of Japan. Not some ipad with wheels and GPS...
Tony L — Google review
If you're tired of 7-Eleven food and want to eat cheaply, this place is for you. It's a fast food chain where you'll always leave unsatisfied if value for money is important. We've eaten here quite a few times because we've always found something delicious. The service is super fast and friendly. It takes longer to order food on the tablet than it takes to get it to the table.I highly recommend all the dishes.
Petae86 — Google review
Always hot, always fresh at a great price. Large variety of made fresh meals to choose from. Menu includes ; salads, fish, chicken, steak, Japanese hamburger, as well as Japanese style meals.
Brent D — Google review
The food is well-prepared and fresh. The steak and beef dishes drenched in gravy smelled amazing. Salads are cheap and delicious. Service is delivered by robots on trays (see video), and there is no interaction when ordering. Orders are placed on tablets. Beverages are self-service. Like seeing civilization while walking in a desert, after a long 16 hours climbing up and down Mt. Fuji, this Coco's made my night! Dining here was unforgettable because in Japan food quality is a practice of tradition and culture. Great location, open until 0200. Locals come here to study, be with friends, and enjoy a late-night meal. There is a late-night dining charge. There are not many Coco's Restaurants in the USA. None that stay open this late in a town this size, while providing quality food, with simple American-Japanese touches and dishes.
Jed J — Google review
Like a Waffle House but with cute robots. The wine is good. Only complaint is the menu could have more gluten free options.
Travel C — Google review
Food was good, service was amazing but that is a given in japan, and atmosphere was plesent but noisy.

Sukiya Fujiyoshida Akafuji-dori is a popular franchise known for its delicious beef don. The beef has a pleasant texture and great taste, making it a satisfying choice for a warm and hearty meal. The pricing is reasonable, typically around 800 yen or less per person. While the food quality is generally praised, some customers have noted that the preparation time can be lengthy, especially during busy periods.
The beef and unagi is tasty and good portions. Prices are reasonable and its always an affordable and hearty meal!

Good option for cheap food. Tastes good for the price. Recommend if you're feeling hungry and don't want to wait too long for nice warm food to have. Not too far from places too
Steve C — Google review
A franchise known for their beef don, Sukiya does not disappoint. Their beef has a nice texture that isn't too chewy but still taste great. Their pricing is acceptable as well. It should be around 800 yen or less for the average person. Great place to go for a nice and warm beef bowl.
Ben — Google review
The food was 👍 great. However, it takes a long time for the staff to prepare even though there were few people. If you're in a hurry to go home, this is not recommended. Food was okay as well as parking. Staff were also kind. I wish they could provide food quicker, i think they may have forgotten or prioritize delivery.

Nestled just an 8-minute stroll from Shimoyoshida Station, LITTLE ROBOT ペレットストーブ&コミュニティカフェ is a delightful vegetarian-friendly curry haven that caters to all palates. This charming spot offers a variety of mouthwatering Indian curry sets, perfect for both veggie enthusiasts and meat lovers alike. The standout feature here is their innovative use of soy gluten, which creates a deliciously satisfying texture in their dishes.
Beautiful place and delicious vegetarian/vegan food. I recommend it to everyone regardless of food preferences.
Paul B — Google review
The food was limited, and tasted okay. The staff was not friendly, refused to help us to throw away our rubbish even though the bin was next to us. Highly not recommended.
S H — Google review
Not vegetarian, still loved it. No idea how they could put so many different things up at such low price

Nestled in Japan, Cheval is a hidden French gem that promises an unforgettable dining experience, especially for families who appreciate well-cooked meals. From the moment you enter, you're enveloped in warm hospitality that sets the tone for your visit. Each dish showcases remarkable attention to detail; the lamb chop stands out as succulent and flavorful, beautifully complemented by fresh ingredients. The vibrant salad adds a refreshing touch with its crispness and delicate dressing.
Absolutely loved this charming little French restaurant! The ambiance is warm and inviting. The service was excellent they were both very kind. Every detail, from the decor to the music, created the perfect setting for a delightful meal and made you feel as if you were in a small french town. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a lovely dining experience!

This restaurant is an absolute gem! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the chef is incredibly kind and attentive, making our dining experience truly special. The food is exquisite, crafted with passion and precision, and every dish was a delight. The service was impeccable, and we felt genuinely cared for throughout our meal. A big plus—this place also has a high chair available for toddlers, which is not always easy to find in Japan. Such a thoughtful touch for families! A fantastic place with exceptional hospitality—highly recommended!

This place has such a special vibe! The food was absolutely delicious — special mention to the quiche, which was outstanding. Everyone was so kind and welcoming, even when our daughter was crying, and we felt truly cared for. We’re traveling through Japan on a long trip, and finding this restaurant made us so happy. Thank you for the wonderful experience. Sending all the best from your friends from Argentina!

A Hidden French Gem in Japan – A Must-Visit if you have family members that prefer cooked food. From the moment we stepped into Cheval, we were greeted with warm hospitality. The attention to detail in every dish was simply remarkable. The lamb chop was cooked to perfection—succulent, flavorful, and beautifully presented with a medley of fresh ingredients that enhanced its richness. The salad was equally impressive—crisp, vibrant, and paired with a delicate dressing that elevated its freshness. Each bite reflected the chef’s commitment to quality and craftsmanship. Beyond the food, the atmosphere was cozy yet refined, making it a perfect spot for a leisurely meal. If you’re looking for a French culinary experience in this small town, Cheval is an absolute must-visit. Highly recommended for food lovers who appreciate fine dining with a touch of elegance!

Surprise WOW! It is our impression after first taste. Our family arrived to Fuji area in the evening, and very worried about dinner as hotel no serve and quite surrounds. We found Cheval rest. on Google map as the nearest restaurant and still open on golden week time. But we have had a small doubts on taking French foods in Japan. However, we had wonderful dinner thanks to amazing foods, lovely Watanabe san and his wife for their hospitality. Nice experience, we want to come back again.
Quan V — Google review
Unexpected gem of a find. Lovely French meal created and served by an even lovelier chef and his wife. Our family of five foodies enjoyed most of the appetizers and five different entrees including chicken, pork, steak(beef) and an incredible piece of flounder. A truly unexpected surprise.

This restaurant is an absolute surprise! We found it by accident on our way to Tokyo from Fuji, the chef is incredibly kind and attentive, making our dining experience truly welcome and unforgetable! The food is exquisite, best lamb and roast chicken we've had for a long time. We felt genuinely cared for throughout our lunch, highly recommending it to everyone!

Dining at CHEVAL was one of the most memorable and enjoyable parts of our trip to Japan, and the meals we had here were the most delicious as well. We stayed at a Ryokan not far away and walked here for lunch, where we were treated to incredible food and very attentive and kind service from both Katsuhito-san and Chie-san. I had no idea that Hamburg steak could taste so good - it burst with flavor, was excellently cooked and it came paired with an assortment that may vary by day (ours was pasta, quiche, potato puree, carrots, dijon mustard, cornichons and baguette). We enjoyed our time and meal so much that we made sure to visit again the next day prior to leaving for Tokyo. We were again treated to a delicious meal (the beef steak was also fantastic) and we again received the kindest service imaginable, including an amuse-bouche and some custom side dishes (guacamole and salsa, since Watanabe-san had heard I was from Mexico the previous day!). Next time we're in Japan, we will make sure to visit Fujiyoshida again especially to come back to CHEVAL. We can't stop thinking about our meals and highly recommend a visit!
